Introducing Hangzhou

Hangzhou in northeastern Zhejiang has a history of more than 2,200 years since it was established as a county in the Qin Dynasty. The Wuyue Dynasty of the Five Dynasties and the Southern Song Dynasty both established their capitals here. This place, known as the "paradise on earth", has mountains, springs, lakes, bridges, towers, and temples, and the colors of the scenery are beginning to diversify. Along the West Lake, there is no absolute boundary between the city and the park; the lush vegetation is integrated with various small shops. This is the interesting part of Hangzhou. It is surrounded by the greenery of nature everywhere, but there is no sense of emptiness away from the city.

Xihu District: An administrative district in Hangzhou, where more than half of the scenic spots of West Lake are concentrated. Living nearby has good scenery and is very convenient for visiting West Lake.
Wulin Square: Located in the center of Hangzhou, many large department stores are concentrated here and its surroundings.
Qinghefang Historic District: This is a must-visit historical district in Hangzhou and is currently one of the streets that best reflects the historical and cultural features of Hangzhou.

Best time to travel

Enjoy Hangzhou regardless of the season or weather. West Lake is like a magician, able to create a beautiful appearance regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter, rain or snow.

In Hangzhou's spring (April to June), the spring breeze is warm and the spring water is intoxicating. This is the best time to stroll along the Su Causeway and enjoy the flowers.
In the midsummer season (July-September), the weather is hot, but the lotus flowers in West Lake are blooming in full bloom under the scorching sun;
In autumn (October to December), the sweet osmanthus fragrance spreads for miles, and tourists flock to the area. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival, Hangzhou people are even busier: they watch the Qiantang River tide during the day and cruise around the lake to enjoy the moon at night.
In the severe winter (January to March), wintersweets are in full bloom. The three must-visit places for viewing plum blossoms are Gushan, Lingfeng and Chaoshan. The Broken Bridge and Remaining Snow, one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake, also welcomes its most moving season at this time.
