D1: Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu by plane or train, free time in Chengdu, overnight in Chengdu.
D2: Chengdu → Luding → Kangding
Departing from Chengdu, we'll take the Chengya Expressway to Ya'an, the Rain City. We'll then follow the beautiful Qingyi River to the towering Erlang Mountain. We'll then cross the Erlang Mountain Tunnel to the Dadu River Valley, and then the Luding Cable Bridge to Kangding, the birthplace of love songs. We'll then cross the high plateau pass of Zheduo Mountain to reach the photography paradise of Xinduqiao. Overnight in Xinduqiao.
D3: Xinduqiao → Yajiang → Litang → Daocheng
Enjoy the picturesque scenery of small bridges, flowing water, houses, and Tibetan-style dwellings in the morning light. Pass through Yajiang County and arrive at Litang, the world's highest city. See Rabbit Mountain from afar and arrive at Daocheng, the last Shambhala. Stay in Daocheng.
D4: Daocheng → Riwa → Yading
Starting from Daocheng, we will go down the Chitu River Valley and admire the pristine mountains, canyons, rivers, forests, and the drifting Jingpan River. Then we will pass Riwa Mountain, cross the Bowa Mountain, and see the first of the three snow-capped mountains of Yading → Xiannairi.
Stay in Aden.
D5: Yading → Chonggu Temple → Luorong Cattle Farm → Daocheng
Pilgrimage to the sacred mountain and ancient temple → Gongga Chonggu, circumambulate the thousand-year-old Mani Dui, worship the sacred Zhuoma Lacuo Lake, make a pilgrimage to the sacred Xiannairi Mountain, and overlook the sacred mountains of Xiaruo Dorje and Yangmaiyong. Experience the natural wonders of harmony between man and nature at the Luorong Cattle Farm. Return to Daocheng. Overnight in Daocheng.
D6: Daocheng → Kangding
Reminisce about the ancient glacier ruins at Haizi Mountain Nature Reserve, and appreciate the wonders of nature. See the legendary tortoise and hare race at Rabbit Mountain. Cross Zheduo Mountain and reach the Love Song City at Kangding. Overnight in Kangding.
D7: Kangding → Moxi
Drive to Camp No. 3 in Hailuogou, then walk up the mountain to the observation deck to see the famous Hailuogou Icefall and other sights. You can take a cable car to Camp No. 4's observation deck to admire the icefall, or try the unique Sichuan slider. Overnight in Moxi.
D8: Hailuogou → Chengdu
Return to Chengdu via Luding Bridge and Erlangshan Tunnel, ending your pleasant journey!
