Although Shaoxing's urban area is small, it boasts a wide variety of accommodation options. Generally speaking, tourists visiting Shaoxing tend to choose to stay in the city center, encompassing the area around Lu Xun's hometown, Renmin Road, Jiefang Road, Shengli Road, and Yan'an Road. Three-star hotels generally cost around 230 RMB, while budget hotels typically range from 100 to 190 RMB in the off-season. Four-star hotels range from 260 to 450 RMB, and five-star hotels generally cost between 400 and 1,000 RMB. Depending on the location, the Old City, where the tourist attractions are concentrated, is 20% more expensive than other areas, while peak season prices can rise by around 15% compared to the off-season.
South of City Square lies the Luxun Hometown Scenic Area, undoubtedly the best base for visiting Luxun's hometown and Shenyuan Garden. Qianhouguan Alley and the Bazi Bridge Historic District (see page 6) are both nearby. Staying in the area around Luxun Middle Road is recommended for convenient transportation, leisure, and dining. Hotels like the Xianheng Hotel and youth hostels like the Laotaimen Inn are also available. Xinjian South Road is adjacent to the Luxun Hometown Scenic Area, while Jiefang North Road and Xiaoshan Street are close to Cai Yuanpei's former residence. Jiefang Road, Renmin Road, and Yan'an Road are all relatively close to Luxun's hometown.
Known locally as "Little Xianheng," the hotel is just a 100-meter walk to the left, where you'll find Lu Xun's former residence. The architecture is elegant, with white walls and black tiles, eaves and painted beams. The staff are friendly, always smiling and greeting, and there are small animal stuffed animals for children. Small celadon items highlight the hotel's thoughtful touches, and the rooms are filled with books and picture albums, which are extremely helpful in understanding local history and culture.

Located on Cangqiao Street, which runs perpendicular to Luxun Road, Qingteng Bookstore is just a three- to five-minute walk away. Cangqiao Street is an old residential street where you can experience some of the quaint Shaoxing cityscape. Cangqiao Inn is an old house with an internet cafe nearby.

City Square is the central square of Shaoxing. It connects to the railway station to the north and the Cangqiaozhi Street historical district to the south. In addition, Xinhe Lane, the hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy, and the Xixiaohe Historical District (see itinerary recommendations) are all located in this area. There are also a few attractions such as Fushan Park and Zhou Enlai's former residence. In addition, most of Shaoxing's directly accessible bus attractions are covered here, and the commercial area is well developed, making shopping, dining, and entertainment very convenient. Shaoxing's popular hotels Xunbaolou and Zhuangyuanlou Hotel are also located in this area.

The window overlooks the Ring River and the beautiful Fushan Mountain. The bus stop is on the left side of the hotel entrance, making transportation convenient. Shaoxing Railway Station is famous for its convenient transportation. Shaoxing Bus Station is only one stop away, making it suitable for tourists who want to make a short stay in Shaoxing city or visit the towns and cities under its jurisdiction.
The apartment-style hotel has large rooms and is suitable for family living. It is just opposite the train station, with an airport bus nearby and the famous restaurant Grandma's House (p) downstairs. The hygiene is also good, but the rooms are a bit old.
