Yandang Mountain

Yandang Mountain, located in Yueqing City, Wenzhou, boasts a wealth of scenic beauty. The "Three Wonders of Yandang": Lingfeng Night View, Lingyan Flying Ferry, and Dalongqiu Waterfall are must-sees. The Sanzhe Waterfall-Jingming Valley route is also a highlight, with the Sanzhe Waterfall rated "Yandang's No. 1 Scenic Spot." The Jingming Grand Canyon, also known as Yandang Mountain Forest Park, offers hiking opportunities and immersing yourself in the greenery. Other surrounding scenic spots include Yanhu Lake, Xiansheng Gate, Yangjiao Cave, and Xianqiao, all relatively dispersed, making self-driving a convenient option.

Nanxi River

The classic of Wenzhou's landscape lies in the Nanxi River, which has eight major scenic spots, namely, the Nanxi River, Daruoyan, Shiweiyan, Sihai Mountain, Taipingyan, Yantanxi, Yuantou and Zhenxi. It is well-known for its "beautiful water, strange rocks, numerous waterfalls, beautiful forests and ancient villages".

Longwantan National Forest Park

Not far from Shiwei Rock, this area is a conservation area for rare nanmu trees and boasts abundant wildlife and natural medicinal resources. Known as the "First Natural Medicine Kingdom of Southern Zhejiang," it is also a popular summer getaway, leisure, and wellness destination. It boasts a high-altitude glass observation deck and a suspended plank road, and is particularly spectacular with the unique "Seven-Fold Waterfall," a series of seven interconnected pools and waterfalls.

Liu Bowen's hometown

When visiting Wencheng, don't miss the Liu Bowen Hometown Scenic Area. Visit the Liu Ji Temple, a nationally protected cultural relic, and journey through the history of the Ming Dynasty. Admire China's tallest waterfall and experience the natural baptism of a cascading mountain waterfall. Enjoy the tranquility of Anfu Temple at the foot of Tiansheng Mountain, where you can listen to the true voice of your heart amidst the morning bells and evening drums.

Nanji Islands

Nanji Island comprises 52 islands of varying sizes, divided into three scenic areas: Dasha'ao, Sanpanwei, and Zhuchai Baiyu. The main island is named after its deer-like shape. National Geographic China named it one of China's ten most beautiful islands for its unique shell sand and rare cave hotels. It also boasts the nicknames "Blue Pasture," "Ice Sea and Fairy Mountain," and "Shell and Algae Kingdom."

Taishun Covered Bridge

Taishun is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Covered Bridges". Taishun Covered Bridges are famous for their large number, exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful shapes. They are in harmony with the surrounding environment and are unique in the history of world bridges. They are a reproduction of the rainbow bridge structure in "Along the River During the Qingming Festival".

Taishun County currently boasts 34 covered bridges, spread across 16 townships. Below, we've selected some of the most representative ones for your reference. Since the covered bridges are relatively scattered, if you have limited time, you can also visit the Taishun Covered Bridge Cultural Park to experience their charm.

Jiangxin Island

Jiangxin Island is dotted with historical sites, including Jiangxin Temple, the East and West Pagodas, Haoran Tower, Xiegong Pavilion, and the Nine-Curve Bridge. A tour of these attractions takes 1-2 hours. A must-see is the Jiangxin Island Bibo Light Show, held every evening at 7:10 PM and 8:40 PM. Set against the backdrop of Bibo Lake, the West Pagoda, Lingyun Bridge, and the Lakeside Pavilion, the show seamlessly combines light, music, and fountains. Through six sections—"Sound of the Tide," "Pearl of the City," "A Thousand Years of Poetry," "Buddhist Kingdom of the River and Sky," "Legend of Xin Island," and "Splendid Landscapes of the River and Mountains"—the show recounts the story of the thousand-year-old island, poetically depicting the history and culture of Jiangxin Island. The music and light dance create a dazzling spectacle, lasting eight minutes. Moonlight Pier is the best vantage point for viewing.

Hundred Islands Dongtou

Dongtou Island, known as the "County of a Hundred Islands," consists of 302 islands. Instead of a bumpy boat ride, it can be reached in just one hour by driving along the coastal highway from downtown Wenzhou.

Here, you'll find unique rocks, beautiful beaches, stunning reefs, and secluded caves. You can also stay in a stone house overlooking the sea, enjoying the warmth of spring and blooming flowers, savoring the freshest and most delicious seafood, and enjoying a leisurely lifestyle. The best time to visit is from May to October, when the waters are at their bluest.

Nantang

Impression Nantang, known as Wenzhou's "living room," is a popular entertainment and leisure destination. With over a thousand years of history, Nantang Street is not only full of photogenic spots, but also boasts a vibrant collection of trendy restaurants, bars, and shops. When you're tired of strolling, you can always sit down and enjoy a meal overlooking the beautiful Nantang River. Today, the Nantang River recreates the urban landscape of a Jiangnan water town, characterized by "clear waters perfect for fishing, riverbanks perfect for resting, bustling streets perfect for shopping, and breathtaking scenery." With illuminated trees, bridges and waters juxtaposed against each other, and egrets soaring in the sky, the scenery evokes the essence of a Jiangnan water town, showcasing the unique charm of Wenzhou's "one bridge, one river" tradition and its unique regional culture.

Shuomen Street

This is one of the oldest streets in Wenzhou's old city, a popular destination for Lucheng's artistic youth. The street exudes a rich, old-town charm, with stylishly decorated shops offering unique experiences. Try lean meatballs, almond tofu, or relax with a cup of coffee or a bar in the evening. At the end of the street is Wangjiang Road, offering a relaxing stroll along the Oujiang River after a stroll.

Zhu Ziqing's Former Residence

Zhu Ziqing's former residence is a five-room, three-courtyard wooden structure. Its central halls are divided into three main halls, with symmetrical wings on either side. It exemplifies the architecture of Wenzhou's late Qing Dynasty and Republican era residences. Entering the front hall, one can see a portrait of Zhu Ziqing. Inside the wings are his famous poems praising Wenzhou, including "Green" and "Misty Moon, Hazy Birds, Curtains Fold, Begonias Red." The rooms also showcase Zhu's experiences and photographs from various periods of his life, allowing visitors to reconstruct his life journey through each room.

Lion Rock Scenic Area

The Lion Mountain Scenic Platform has a flat terrain and a wide view. You can overlook or overlook bridges such as the Oubei Bridge, Qidu Bridge, and Ouyue Bridge. It is a good place to take scenery photos and enjoy the night view of Wenzhou.

Tongling Mountain

Tongling Mountain National Forest Park is named after a giant cliff that resembles a "copper bell." With lush forests, secluded valleys, unique caves, and picturesque lakes, it boasts a forest coverage rate of 98.1%. It is the best-preserved original broad-leaved forest in southern Zhejiang and is rich in flora and fauna. The most stunning wonders are the potholes formed by the swirling rapids of thousands of years. With waterfalls cascading down and pools overlapping, the twelve potholes, each with its own unique charm, are known as "a unique wonder in China."

Yuzeng Scenic Area

The Yuzeng Scenic Area, centered around Yuzeng Peak, offers a breathtaking view of rugged peaks, smooth rocks, deep caves, and ravines, creating a sense of wonder. Standing 598.3 meters above sea level, Yuzeng Peak towers above the ground, a breathtaking sight unseen by nature. From the summit, panoramic views stretch for miles, encompassing Zhongqian Lake, Baishi Lake, Longshan Lake, and the rolling peaks and villages dotted throughout the valleys, creating a truly breathtaking experience.

Xiji Scenic Area

The Xilian Scenic Area, consisting of the Shimen Waterfall at the base of the Xilian River and the tranquil and deep Longjie Canyon, stretches five miles from east to west. The canyon's flanking peaks and rocks are a dazzling array of shapes, each resembling a human figure, creating a truly natural canvas. Xilian also boasts captivating waterfalls of varying shapes and forms, the most famous being the Bazhe Waterfall, which folds upward and downward in eight steps, each with its own unique charm and name. The most captivating waterfalls are Longxu Waterfall, Sanzhe Waterfall, and Longyou Waterfall.

Zeya

Zeya, known as Wenzhou's "Western Wild Goose Dang," is renowned for its majestic and lush landscapes. Zeya boasts eight scenic areas and over 230 scenic spots, with Seven Waterfalls and Four-Link Pulley being among its most scenic highlights.

Daluo Mountain

Known as the "Green Lungs of Wenzhou," it's a popular leisure and fitness destination for Wenzhou residents. It offers stunning scenery in all seasons. In March, peach blossoms and moon orchids bloom in profusion; in May, mandarin oranges and azaleas bloom in profusion; in October, osmanthus fills the air, and in November, red maples blanket the ground. With over 100 kilometers of national-level hiking and fitness trails and provincial-level greenways, it's a perfect spot for hiking, cycling, and photography.

Yaoxi

Famous for its "jade-colored streams and rocks," the area boasts canyons, waterfalls, and forests, with walking trails ideal for hiking and scenic viewing. Ten scenic spots are particularly renowned: the Traces of Water and Rocks, Golden Bell in the Valley, Thousand Buddhas in Spring and Autumn, Spiritual and Beautiful Scenery, Longgang Morning Bell, Misty Rain, Idle Herons in the Clouds, Mountain and Lake Scenery, Iron Wall Pond Reflections, and Sunset at Huayang.

Tianzhu

Famous for its "strange peaks, grotesque rocks, cascading waterfalls, emerald waters, and ancient temples," the waterfall boasts scenic spots such as Rongyang Garden, Guanhaiping, Tianzhu Temple, Pangu Lake, Wuzhe Waterfall, Tianzhu Peak, and First Mountain. Among them, the thousand-year-old Tianzhu Temple is one of the oldest temples in southern Zhejiang. Zhu Ziqing also visited the area and penned the essay "White Water Sacrifice," praising the Beauty Waterfall.

Yuliao Scenic Area

The beach is beautiful, with a curving coastline and expansive sea. Whether it's sunrise or sunset, it's all pure beauty. You can play volleyball, go-karts, and jet skis on the beach. There are also occasional bonfire parties in the evenings, and the entertainment facilities are plentiful.

Copper Pan Island

Tongpan Island gets its name from its resemblance to a round disk. It boasts unique rock formations, secluded caves, and a winding coastline, including the famous Tongtian Cave, a must-see. Tongpan Island also boasts precious military relics and cultural landmarks, including beacon towers, artillery batteries, and the Kuhai Ganquan Monument, which documents the Ming army's resistance against Japanese invaders.

Northern muntjac

Beicui, which consists of six villages, is home to the only international lighthouse in Wenzhou, the Beicui Mountain Lighthouse, the Guoshui Island with different scenery at high tide and low tide, the natural camping lawn in Kecaiao Village, the mysterious bird island where seabirds live, the marine ranch for deep-water aquaculture, and the country's first fish rubbing integrity museum. There are also many old military barracks, artillery batteries, air-raid shelters, etc., which have unique natural and cultural charm.

The island also boasts a 2.5-kilometer circular road, connecting Haili Village, Donglian Village, and Kecaiao Village. Cycling along the coast is a pleasant experience. The best time to visit is from May to October.
