I dought many people go to Biloxi for the beach. The ocean is like lake water and the beach sand is brown. Will not visit again. Went only because we were there a couple of days visiting the casinos.

By WebbWonder |

We came here to kill some time from Pensacola to New Orleans - what a find.

Was nearly empty, we paddled in the sea and ate breakfast alfresco out the back of our car. realy relaxing environment and will defo come back when we do our big New Orleans holiday.

The place looked like it was lively and fun.

Wonderful, clean beach. We enjoyed our time here. Plenty of walking to do along this stretch of beach. The sand is so nice. Not much for shelling here though.

By Lou2270 |

Beaches here from Waveland to Biloxi are always clean and never crowded. Never understood why people flock to the overcrowded beaches of Alabama when these can be enjoyed without elbow to elbow people.

By Noel V |

Soft white sand, beautifful weather, and warm golf waters. Not overcrowded, nice facilities.give the beach a try

By GERALD J. |

This beach is one of the nicest looking sand beaches around. Mainly people sun bathe and kids play in the sand. Easy parking is found. There are miles and miles of boardwalk/sidewalk to walk or run on. You can rent a jet ski, or get a bite to eat at the many restaurants. The water is so shallow, it’s not too good to swim in, so folks just picnic and enjoy the white sandy beach.

By hwelkley |

Durning our stay the waters were relatively calm. You could walk out quite far before it got deep. The beach was fairly clean but there were large culverts to carry the runoff on the beach. There was room to play between them, but we were not expecting them. There were several locations to rent jet skis, chairs, and other water play items.

By AKKris |

The beach was very clean, white sand, and you could walk for miles. Fishermen were catching fish from one of the piers. It was very fun afternoon.

By Melissa O |

Beach is easily accessible. Water doesn't look the cleanest but the beach isn't bad. Not overly crowded.

By JOHN C B |

The beach itself is pleasant though the water is rather murky due to a couple of rivers that discharge into the gulf in this area. A ferry to Ship Island often is an option to clearer water and a visit to the fort. Near the lighthouse is.visitor's center that had several weekend vendors selling their wares and dreams.

By darla f |

came here on vacation, and i was disapointed in the small waves, the gulf looked like a lake, the next day though it was different. the waves were pretty big. the beaches needed the traash cleaned up, found needles and 2 floating prescription bottles with pills in them,

By CarolGravers |

I walked and ran along the beach so many board walks linking you to eateries and flat.. would loved to have been able to cycle along the front to take in the surrounding, the beach is well maintained and clean which makes a change when wanting to sit and watch the ocean..

By lovetravel2 |

This is not your typical beach vacation. Noone is is the water, noone is sitting on the beach. It is very dirty, trash etc everywhere. You are scared to walk in the brought in sand because of the broken bottles and trash. The water itself is brown, not clear. This is technically the Mississippi Sound. We knew the water was like this before coming, just didn't know it was this bad. It is pretty if you look out way across the gulf. You should definitely reconsider if you are wanting a gulf experience. Drive a little further into Alabama.

By ZeroBoxes |

The BEACHES are still open. MSDEQ has lifted the water ban. Now open for wading, swimming, fishing, shrimping and crabbing. And Crusin the Coast 2019 is in FULL SWING!!!!!!!

By dragon1681 |

Found the beach to be beautiful and extreamly well kept up. Almost every morning saw crews using machines to clean up the beach..

By Brad H |

A very nice and well kept beach. Easy access from the Hyatt Place Biloxi. I enjoy all of the beaches I have travelled to. The City of Biloxi has done a fantastic job in restoring all of the beach area since hurricane Katrina. My wife, my dog and I spent hours walking up the beach and back down. During my visit to this beach it was not busy at all. Very relaxing and calming during a hectic visit to Biloxi. One of the highlights of our trip.

By rebeccabrabb |

Nice clean beach. We were here for beach wrestling tournament and the beach was much nicer than we expected. It has been years since I’ve been to Biloxi and it really looks nice

By JMCSTL |

My wife & I were in Biloxi for a February sporting event, and we stopped briefly along Highway 90/Beach Blvd. on a cool but sunny afternoon for a look at the beach & the Gulf. The sand was cleaned & groomed very attractively, and the occasional pull-off lanes with free parking at the back of the beach would seem advantageous for visitors in the shoulder seasons or early arrivers during peak seasons. There are still reminders of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina devastation along the waterfront & across the highway from the beach, but the rebuilding is progressing and I wouldn't let it dissuade me from considering Biloxi Beach as a destination for fair weather vacationing.

By Angenett |

My last day to visit the beach was on a Friday because it had rained the previous days. It was a nice, beautiful, breezy day. I walked out on the pier and looked over the ocean. What a serene moment! It wasn't too hot sitting under the pier but the beach was HOT! Great tanning day!

By Stendel |

Stroll these beautiful white sand beaches. There is plenty of parking available. Walk along the piers or go fishing. There are several bathrooms available. They are very clean. You can rent a fire pit for an evening fire. I found lots of shells during my strolls
on the beach. We had a great time on these beautiful beaches.

By CLTLRT |

The beach has an abundance of trash, double sad side of that is there are plenty of trash cans. Zero shells for kiddos to find. Beyond sad on one walk some sort of Dead Sea turtle, multiple dead birds and multiple dead fish :( they did come measure and remove with a call. Water is murky as well. Nothing like Dauphin Island or Flordia. It is salt water but .....

By practicaltravellers |

Beach area right next to the very loud highway. It seems like it may have been a great spot at one point but I would never return to this area and certainly wouldnt go out of my way to see it.

By sgermannowlin |

Beaches were beautiful, but you couldn't get in the water. This is a shallow sound that doesn't get waves since the barrier islands block them. The water was dirty and had bacteria in it. That was the first thing I noticed when we arrived- nobody was in the water. Don't risk it, there had been cases of flesh eating bacteria

By felicaj2017 |

Omg I had the best time of my life god be the glory I never saw the coast before and it was just like I imagined it so big so pretty it was so much water omg it was just a pretty sight to see the water was so beautiful and really warm my spirits when I was there it is a special place to go with a live one and have fun and really relax and enjoy the food and the sights.

By F9909HSlaural |

Great place to visit so beautiful, lots of great restaurants and a lot of fun family activities. Go visit

By Blackhawkjxx7 |

Unlike Grand Haven State Park where you have to purchase an annual pass to visit the beach for a day, Biloxi Beaches are there for your enjoyment, by finding a parking spot, which is not hard to do, and walking on to the clean beach. i'm reluctant to share this information because the place might grow more commercial. this is a gem of a vacation place and you'd do well to visit Biloxi and Gulfport.

By MarcinDrP |

You look at the sand and think -- perfect beach... You look into the water and you realize that... something is wrong... this is the Mississippi River effect... simply said, what the river brings to the gulf has (unpleasant) effect on the beach....

Beach is safe, you can swim in it... but a resort beach it ain't....

By Jayne S |

It was beautiful white sand and it was free access everywhere. The beach went on for miles and the harbors where fun to visit

By A Starr S |

We go to Biloxi at least twice a year. The beaches are beautiful. The sand is so white and soft. The water is nice. The waves are not big but they come in and out all day long. The strange thing is they are fairly empty. I guess they haven’t gotten back to normal since Covid. They are never as busy as other beaches. There is always plenty of room to play and spread out from other people. They are also very clean.

By LINDA Davis |

Beautiful, a amazing place to go and relax. A amazing place for family and friends. He water is beautiful blue, the pier to water out on. Sidewalk on beach where walk down and enjoy the views, and casinos. The beautiful sand, the lounge chair to purchase, and other fun things.

By helen t |

Love this beach and Gulfport beach...smells nice as well. Looks like it would also have good fishing.

By Tripadvisbear 🧸🎒 |

So not sure what is happening here but the water is brown!you see oil patches everywhere and dead fish floating!
It’s very scary and sad at the same time cause you look at the beautiful white sand beach and when you get close to the water you immediately notice there is a problem!
Don’t go in the water!

By Nianya |

We were very pleased with the service and amenities available at the IP during our 2 day stay. They have a variety of restaurants, a spa, a large exercise room and an amazing olympic sized rooftop pool. The pool area features a large screen TV, numerous lounges and several cabanas that can be rserved for the day. The price of the cabana is more than worth it. We were able to spend most of one day relaxing in our cabana with a TV, fan, comfy chairs and tables and two lounge chairs. The staff throughout the resort are friendly and knowledgeable and they helped us enjoy our mini-vacation. We will definitely return.

By cockburntaylor91 |

Honestly you already know this beach isn’t for traditional swimming, mostly wading. but there is still a lot to do and enjoy. We sat in chairs as the waves came up and enjoyed some drinks. They have jet skis and water bicycles for rent. Chairs with umbrellas too. I would return!

By Kathryn D |

This was an easy beach! Able to park super close. Trash cans near by. Nice walking paths if you needed to move around. We didn’t find bathrooms, but also didn’t look very hard.

By MARKOWisconsin |

This area is so nice compared to the backed beach areas around Gulf Shores,AL. There was plenty of parking and easy to access the beach area. It is so nice not having condo after condo taking all the beach space. We will be moving down to this area after staying for a few days.

By Jeanne B |

This beach is very different for me, because I'm more accustomed to the surf on the other side of the Gulf. But my daughter greatly enjoyed the no-wave scene and had lots of fun playing in the sand.,

By Lyn B |

I have to say the beach in Biloxi has improved dramatically since we were stationed there in the mid-70's. Nice soft sand!

By Mark A |

The food is fantastic; I like the fresh shrimp and different types of breaded oysters. The beaches were empty due to some type of virus in the water. You can gamble and see stage shows also.

By tarenhearts |

Great beach, with clean sands and long piers to walk. Able to gamble and nice casinos. Great get a way.

By The2TravelingFools |

While the beach is beautiful it was closed for miles due to an algae bloom. Ooooweee!!! No one was allowed in the water.

By AjaxTheWonderDog |

The beach was not crowded at any time and there is great walking. The county needs to be more reliable cleaning up trash. The old lighthouse area that was a marina has tons of trash and homeless. One homeless man had a structure on the beach that no authorities did anything about. Fortunately the beach is large enough to avoid this.

By Nude Review |

The beach area has nice white sand but not many shells and the water looked really mucky. Walked out to the pier and saw a bunch of fish jumping out of the water...wonder what larger fish was chasing them. This location is right next to a road so it has easy access but it much to it. It’s really unfortunate that feel the need to vandalize, with graffiti.

By Reese K |

The beach is beautiful and very clean. Although the beach was open, the news had been covering high bacteria levels in other areas and very few people were in the water above the knee. The locals were very friendly and helpful.

By bbh9072016 |

On our first and last visit to Biloxi,we stayed 2 days at a hotel right on the beach. As soon as we got our luggage up to the room,we decided to go to the beach. So Disappointing! The beach itself is full of rocks and little twigs and sticks poking thru the sand. Then there's all the man made garbage like broken glass, bottle caps, used band aids, empty bottles, etc. The water is awful. It's brown and murky. Can't see what's in it hardly and it's full of jelly fish.In the water and washed up on the beach.Seriously, you had to watch every step you took both on the beach and in the water. When the tide goes out in the evening, you can walk out pretty far,but the sand is slimy feeling and there are small pools left behind that have jelly fish. Can't get away from those things! After 2 days,we left and drove another 2 hours to Gulf Shores,Alabama. So much nicer! Will never go to Biloxi again.

By bcole204 |

Biloxi is by no means a crystal clear beach like you'd expect in Florida but it is still a very nice place to play and visit with friends and family! Great for a weekend getaway or to get a beach fix!

By tydoug |

In between Thunderstorms got out of Hotel for Quick Trip to Beach. Stopped by Sharkheads & Shaggy's also. Beach was Ok hard to judge when Waters are Dirty & Churned up from Stormy Weather.

By lpharleyman54 |

Drove by had to stop only thing I hated a man came by and said you are on my bench if you wanna sit here PAY Me I saw no Such SIGNS saying So not as clean as Clearwater Beach Florida Beach But nice

By Tim S |

Biloxi beach is beautiful and of course the water is not as beautiful but for September the beach was not busy at all and they have a beautiful boardwalk to restaurants on the beach , the only complaint we had was the amount of homeless on the beach but they didn’t bother anyone we seen but I do believe the city will have to do something before it gets out of hand

By Beth D |

Daughter had to go for power company meetings and her son, age 5, and I (74) went with her. Stayed at Legacy Condo and had a fabulous time -- GREAT white beach and (most of the time) great clear warm shallow water - grandson LOVED playing in the water. Great places to go for children as well -- Ocean Adventure, Model Railroad Museum, great seafood restaurants, and Treasure Bay Casino for me on two occasions !!

By Journey03838669462 |

Be careful. Wvery now and again a stray alligator is in the water. Be careful when you and your family goes swimming. Snakes sometimes too

By KC Gypsy Explorer |

Very pretty beach. A nice place to go for a walk. The water color is a little off putting as we are used to the clear water in Florida.

By Bridget B |

My boyfriend gave me a Picnic on the beach it was very nice it was on Wednesday it felt good outside was very nice I love it.

By Parisa63 |

Not a place to hang out and relax on the beach all day, despite the sand being a lovely white. The water is not the Gulf we are used to in FL but that wouldn't have been a deterrent if the facilities were nicer.

By sskroll |

Great place to watch the sunset. It is a very walkable beach and there is a nice pier to walk on. Plenty of parking in the area.

By ValerieC |

I love to walk this beach daily (weather permitting). I can either walk along the shoreline or the boardwalk. Either way I choose to walk, the white sand beaches, the wildlife, and the fresh air all leave me renewed and restored!

By ndfar |

The Beach is nice but the temperatures were a bit cool and breezy so we spent time at the pool of our hotel.

By PatriciaBretas |

The sea is brown and not deep enough to swim, but it is a beautiful beach to walk in. The sand is fine and very white.

By Angel Z |

The beaches are beautiful and not very crowded. The water however is murky and shallow with little movement.

By Cora G |

AMAZING PLACE! We had wanted to go to a little town on the coast, and Mississippi caught our eye, so we booked a house and headed down. I loved it. The beach was great, though. If you want clear water, take a trip to Ship Island, because the water there in Biloxi is the sound, not the ocean. The food there was great, and if you want a little day trip, go down to Ocean Springs, a great place, will be coming back.

By Jktchorne |

Beautiful beach, very clean. Family fun with stuff to do along beach front. South Biloxi has a boardwalk. The gulf is shallow for the most part when tide out you walk a way out. Water was cold in March.

By plvz65 |

We had a fun day enjoying the Biloxi Beaches. They have nice rest areas for you to pull over and the rest rooms was nice and clean. With some different information hanging on the walls. In some places you can reserve a fire pit for a night of fun on the beaches, the piers are nice to walk out on and do some fishing if you enjoy that. We will visit the beach again soon.

By Julia R |

The best thing about road trips is finding gems along the way. Miles of mansions overlooking the Gulf Coast, casinos, great food and white powdery sand beaches.

By Charon W |

I think it's called Biloxi East Beach. I stayed at the Hard Rock and wanted to see the sunrise at the beach. This beach seemed close.
- It was safe. No homeless people like in other cities.
- Beach had some dead fish. I think the algae is affecting this area just a little bit. I would not swim in the water, although I splashed my feet and hands in it.
- Returning to the hotel there was a shrimping boat marina. The boats were coming in from their trips. Fascinating how they open their umbrellas on the piers and sell shrimp by the pound. Very cultural experience. All the boat owners were surprisingly friendly. We just sat on the pier and watched. A wonderful morning.

By LisaMorganBlack |

When I read up on the beach before I went, most noted the murky water and it's true the water is murky but apparently that's natural for the area due to the barrier islands they have. So if you have to have clear, blue-green waters, you won't find it here. But the beach is very quiet, hardly anyone hangs out a lot. so each time we went (almost everyday/different times) there might 2 or 3 families or couples on the beach but spread out so far you couldn't hear each other. You can walk out quite far (30ft) and still not be past your thighs as far as depth of ocean water. If having a perfect beach is not the ultimate for you and really enjoy solitude and quiet relaxation on the beach, this is a great choice for you!

By shopcoffee |

A place stumbled upon by chance. I didn't expect much, but the white sand and the seemingly endless sea left a deep impression. It's a place I'd like to visit again when I have the time.

By Michelle Guidry |

ALwaYS FUN, always clean sand, always relaxing. Every one spaced out well, families had fun, beautiful weather.

By Kendall M |

On first impression, it looks beautiful. White sand, shallow grade not crowded. Then you get up close. Oil spill remnants (don't dig to deep), drain pipes, horrible garbage. Water is murky. I've decided it's not busy for a good reason. Why don't they keep this beach cleaner? Could be nice, but it really isn't.

By Cathy Herr |

Biloxi Beach is a beautiful, wide beach of white soft sand. There are many activities to do on the beach but don’t plan to go swimming in the water. It is known to have something that causes skin infection.

By LulaBKentucky |

Biloxi Beach has beautiful sand. However, there are runoff pipes (possible street drainage??) draining into the water. I wouldn't want to swim there. We were there in November and there were dead jellyfish everywhere. The highway runs right next to the beach, so there is a lot of traffic noise. If you go right next to the water, the waves drown out some of that noise. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded beach, this isn't it. If you want an inexpensive beach getaway where you can walk across the street for some sandy fun, Biloxi would be just fine.

By homewood_traveler41 |

Really enjoyed , easy parking, warm water and no crowds. Not like any other beach I've ever been to, brown water with no waves until the jet skis get started, not very deep, waist high as far as I walked. Perfect for small children, I really enjoyed it to.

By TracyMJ806 |

The 26-mile White sand beach on the MS Gulf Coast is a favorite for many. The sand is replenished via dredging and pumping on shore. The water is brown because silt and sediment from the Mississippi River that deposits in the Gulf gets trapped due to our many barrier islands; this is actually beneficial to our thriving seafood industry because of nutrients. Take an awesome trip on the Ship Island excursion ferry to see blue water on the other side of a barrier island and visit a Civil War fort while you are there!
Back to Biloxi Beach—If you want a close restroom, showers and vending, park by the lighthouse (Porter Avenue) or the Coliseum (Beauvoir Ave); both have a large beach station and bays for parking. Any time you visit a beach, no matter where, you should always look for water advisories. Personnel regularly check water safety and will close beaches if needed, but always check for clearly posted signs in case of bacteria levels.
Have fun!

By TennisStar602 |

When I went with my father to Biloxi’s beachfront areas in 2009, I was unimpressed as the water was brown and it was comprised of much debris. Yet, over sixteen (16) years afterwards, and due to the fact that Katrina was so many years later, this beach was now very pretty. Its pier was still broken, but I enjoyed the lighthouse views, the peaceful water, and the soft sand. There was an eastbound parking lot with free access on Beach Boulevard’s eastbound side. Many homes were very elevated due to the threat from the hurricanes, and I enjoyed the views of the taller casinos and of the palmettos.

By Cheryl G |

Do not get in the water at all. Biloxi and Gulfport don't care the on again off again flesh eating bacteria pollution in their beach water. They post warnings signs but they quickly down all their warnings signs before a major tourist holiday and once the tourists leave, they put those signs back! They just care about the tourist money!

By Sherri Q |

We went to the beach after dark when the tide was out. It was so cool to be able to walk way out into the gulf and have he water be only ankle high. Got some good pics from out there looking back into town with all of the glowing lights....beautiful and peaceful.

By Joseph G |

I cannot believe how dirty the beach was, garbage litter, bottles dirty clothes, dead bird, trash of all kinds. You want people to visit your beautiful are, you should clean up the beaches.

By Kim M |

Came for the afternoon as my niece (whose 32) had never been to the ocean. Nice time spent with family. Beach was nice and clean when we were there and the lounge chairs with umbrellas was great. Of course we all had to get something from the ice cream truck!

By knoxtntraveler_11 |

There’s been a lot of work redoing the beach and it is so nice. Wide beach with peaceful view of the gulf. Easy access with parking available nearby.

By Chris6956 |

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Beach sand is soft and warm. Water is perfect for the little ones, nice and shallow. No fast tides or currents. Lots of things to do and convenient restrooms.

By Janice N |

Unfortunately the beaches around here just aren’t good. I was holding out hope from a few good photos online but it’s just not worth the visit

By Garry M |

This is a very picturesque area, plenty of opportunity for great pictures. Beautiful white sand. Recommend taking the time to check this area out.

By Flying4 |

The Mississippi gulf coast always welcomes guests in their well known friendly southern hospitality! The white sandy beaches of Biloxi were fun to take a stroll on during our visit.

By Glenda E |

We drove along the beach multiple times going from place to place in Biloxi. It has several spots to rent wave runners, chairs, and various beach toys. It appeared very nice and parking was available at various places.

By Heather T |

It’s a beach, if you like beaches you’ll like this one too. If you are accustomed to blue water, be aware this is naturally brown. There are not many shells. There are volley ball nets, which are fun.

By Niecy |

We had fun at this beach. The water isn't clear at all but the beach was clean. We rented the beach chairs which were a little pricey $80 so the next time I visit I will definitely bring my own. We also rented a jet ski here and the beach bike. They were about an average price $60 a half hour. Lots of parking but no bathrooms. You have to go across the street to the tourist area and it closes at 2pm. Overall its a nice beach.

By JTHC_4 |

There was hardly anyone at the beach. The bacteria is still high so no swimming recommended. There were a few people in the water. We walked the beach, but not barefooted. Broken glass, trash, and seaweed was everywhere.

By Paul R |

Stay away. Biloxi is crime infested and city support illegal activity. Cops are worthless in enforcement. You hear nothing but the loud thumping of rap music and racing cars. I complained to the PD and city council and they dont care.

By wsturmfels |

The water was dirty and the beach was closed. They claim it was washing in. Some bacteria and warned of flu like sickness. The beach was empty, no one even fishing. The sand looked clean aand no trash around anywhere.

By Bridget-Gary F |

This was a nice beach. Saw dolphins our first day. 😍 Clean. White sand. Water is a brownish color but there is a reason for that. No dogs on beach but there is a concrete walkway when it’s not too hot. No shells though. The sand was kept up well and there were always people out doing maintenance. Would visit again!

By Ina F |

Detected many pull tabs. Sad that trash was left by beach goers cause there were trash cans placed all around.

By kevinandkari |

Dont miss this opportunity. Wonderful white sand beaches with low waves and no RIP currents. Its West Florida, all the amenities but cheaper. Visited during the week, had large areas all to ourself. Took my cornhole boards and cooler out and darn near cried when we had to leave. 1st time here, gonna make it a yearly thing.
PS, I took a bag of sand home and have filled numerous bowls and bottles with displays. Will probably darn near cry again when I look at them after the Indiana winter sets in.

By Clint S |

Good sized beach. Not to far to walk but far enough off the road to let the waves drown out the traffic noise. way too much trash was on the beach. Water is very dingy right now. Water is very shallow. You can walk very far out and it not get above your waist. Great beach for small children. Would be a 5 star review if it wasn't for the dingy water and trash.

By Kimberly M |

Pictures are very deceiving the beach has pretty white sands but trash everywhere laying on the beach. Pictures show a very different beach, brown murky water it doesn’t even seem like the ocean. Very disappointed I spent the money to come here when I could have went else’s.

By lisaC8701YR |

The coast is very nice and clean. We drove all the way to Gulfport. It was a great time! Lots of restaurants and shops along the way and several casinos.

By Geoff H |

Miles and miles of soft, white sand and, when we were there on a sunny day in October, no one else in sight. Ideal for children (and adults who just want to sit back and relax), there's plenty of parking nearby and restaurants, etc not too far away as well.

By HAMPTONUNIVPIRATE |

Easy parking. Great WHITE POWDER SAND. Peaceful near some hotels and casino's. Great sunsets!! Bring your cooler and enjoy the day with family and friends. Love this area during "crusin" is in town.

By Newt C |

I grew up going to Biloxi Beach often. The beach has been nice since the 70s at least....but avoid the water. Even if they say it is safe to get in. The water stinks and leaves a smell on you that is horrid.

The locals will tell you "You know how you can tell a tourist from a Local at the beach? Only the tourists are dumb enough to get out in the water."

By Kevin T |

The water is like coffee and you have to walk 100m before the water is over your knees which means no sharks I guess but the long white sands with hardly anybody near you is great. Lots of areas have parking right beside the footpath so you can sunbath a few meters from your car if you want. Beautiful place.

By Tlbasspro |

Beach is man made 26 miles very clean and pretty views from the beach lots of fishing piers . Definitely will return during warmer weather to enjoy the beach

By GoAgain2024 |

They clean this beach everyday so it is really nice for walking. The sand is pristine white. The boulevard is right at the beach so you can't seem to get away from traffic.

By OnAir583081 |

Nice walking beach except lots of litter.liked looking at the boats near the casinos and hotels. Lots of homeless sad situation

By Linda W |

This beach is long but narrow. It has some Adirondack chairs available. There is a pier quite a ways out into the water you can walk out on to see the coast and a lighthouse. The beach is not very deep, but it seemed clean.

By melwashere81 |

If you're coming to Biloxi to take advantage of the beautiful beaches then you may want to rethink your trip or at least call ahead. Recently an increase in algae has closed the water to visitors. You can go to the beach but you can't get in the water (not much fun in that). However the view is beautiful and the lighthouse pier is nice to walk out on and do some fishing. I'll definitely go back when the water is safe for swimming.

By Christopher N |

My husband and I enjoy planning our vacations around beach destinations and although we live on the east coast of Florida with a lovely beach... we wanted to visit the GC. We knew what to expect in terms of the water color and temp but what we did not expect to see was TRASH on the beach! Empty soda and beer cans, paper plates... even a diaper! We paid $40.00 for chairs and umbrella... but we had to pick up the trash. Very sad in this day and age! Biloxi... clean up those beaches!

By williamrL782YG |

The beaches of Biloxi are far less crowded and easier to access than the crowded Florida beaches. They are well maintained and cleaned daily

By Gloria J |

We stopped by the beach at sunset. It was a little brisk in January but so beautiful. The white sand is a great touch that they bought in after the hurricane; what an improvement over the nasty crushed shells. The beach is now so inviting.

By catysonreviews |

I enjoyed my walk on the boardwalk and learning about Biloxi beach history from the plaques posted on it. when we headed this way on our cross-country RV trip I had no idea that Biloxi had such beautiful beaches. Sadly, it was a bit cold to enjoy the ocean but I'll bet the place is hopping in the summer. It's a great place to visit any time of the year though.

By Roy P |

I like the ample parking nearby and the beach isn,t that busy in many parts with good views and plenty of sand.

By Misty T |

The beach and pier were clean, it’s fun for young children. It wasn’t crowded which was nice and relaxing. Didn’t see many seashells.

By Michelle W |

Took a walk out on the pier at Biloxi Beach. Wow- it’s really beautiful here. I was surprised how shallow the water is- all the way out to the end of the pier. The sand and water were very clean and clear. Nice walk on the sand and out the pier.

By LKMTX |

We loved the beach but the beaches were closed due to flood waters and fertilizer from Delta. It was confusing exactly what areas were safe and which areas were not. The white sand beaches are amazing.

By Jim A |

Not a bad beach, just not one for shell hunting. It was December so we didn't get in the water, but it didn't seem very deep.

By Traveltubbies |

Beautiful beach, nice pier, perfect for walking. Easy parking. Lighthouse is interesting. Better to visit during warmer weather for swimming.

By ottofueler |

Biloxi Beach is exceptional with easy access, a beautiful white-sand beach. I liked that the area is not overloaded with businesses hawking their wares. We'll be back.

By candg2017 |

My husband and I went to the fireworks for Fourth of July because someone at our hotel told us they were great. Extremely disappointed like everyone else watching them also. Everyone was in disbelief they got set up hours before on the beach for suck a short , simple boring sight. Now I will say of you’ve never ever seen fireworks in your life then they were beginner ones. Next year I think everyone of the ? Thousands will go to Gulfport or bay st. Loius ones. So sad. Even the person that told us about them at the hotel ( employee ) said they were shocked how bad they were.

I grew up near by and the beach is ok but nothing to get too excited about. Unfortunately down the road in Ala the beaches are much more beautiful. However, if gambling is your thing, this is the place to be.

By Theresa |

I loved the white sand beaches and the piers! I would love to come back in the summer and spend some more time in this peaceful setting.

By Zig B |

Very friendly people, great food very nice clean beaches. We had reserved a suite at Margaritaville. The suite was filthy. We moved to another suite and it was equally dirty. We checked out of there and found a Hotel Legends. It was an absolutely fabulous establishment. Beautiful rooms, very clean and had very helpful staff. Had a lovely pool area.

By Paul S |

This white sand beach stretches for miles between the gulf and busy Highway 90. If you are particularly sensitive to traffic noise you should probably look elsewhere. Otherwise the clean fine white sand here makes this a highly desirable beach.

By Megabill |

The beach was very pretty with food stands, restaurants and lots of water sports rentals. They also had changing rooms and bathrooms. I notic. The water was anasty brown lookinged there were many people on the beach but no one was in the water. I walked to the waters edge and I found out why the water was a nasty brown looking. A shop owner said that ever since Katrina New Orleans sewage plants were often letting untreated sewage in the Gulf. She said she would not put one foot in it. I was dissapointed because I was looking forward to clean and clear water.swimming in beautiful

By fiamma11 |

Great beach for terrific walks where one meets incredibly friendly people. Maybe it is just the southern hospitality.

By Stay546548 |

My family of 5 loved walking up and down this beach. It was very clean and wasn't crowded (although we were there the end of March), and we definitely enjoyed our time there.

By Karen L |

Very beautiful beach to people-watch and to sit and watch for sunsets. Nice white sands and swatting areas.

By Zman |

The beach area is nice and gets better the farther west you go. Near the city center the water is still murky. This a great beach to walk from the Beau Rivage. Did notice a few homeless under bridge and on pier.

By rtrkrswfe |

Beautiful clean beach but weather was too cool to get into water. Close to hotels. Loved the beautiful beach view from front porch and foyer of Beauvoir!

By CharlieinTexas |

The beach — with white sand — runs on for miles. Not a deep beach, parking all around. Water looks pretty dark/brackish, but lovely beach. Lots of restaurants.

By Mike O |

It's hard to give this a better rating. I have seen some pretty spectacular beaches in my travels and it just really falls short. I did enjoy my visit. The sand is white and soft, there are great views of the Gulf of Mexico and the water is warm. However there are some parts that were dirty, smelled bad and the gulf water is brown.

By Kayla R |

This was my first time visiting Biloxi Mississippi. Beach was maintained and had a great view. Also wasn't crowded. Compared to the beaches I normally visit(Florida Area). The water was brown(To Be expected). My 6yr old got stung by a jelly fish. Which kinda scared us of the beach and cut our beach trip short. I would visit again. Really nice tourist area.

By fishbone95 |

The wife and I walked it during sunset it was a very nice clean beach and enjoyed the water hose to wash the sand off your feet too.

By Todd H |

this is by far the dirtiest beach I have ever been to. We saw 2 diapers, a tampon, e-cigarette cartridges, many plastic bags and take out containers as well as cans and bottles.

By Anne B |

We were here in November, it was still warm enough for us but very quiet, hardly anyone around on the beach. We had a great afternoon just walking along the sea front

By Ashley Weaver |

My husband and I went on our first small vacay to the Biloxi beach! It was so much fun, so relaxing the sand was so pretty, I’m already ready to go back

By David R |

Beautiful new boardwalk along a beautiful beach over run by the aggressive homeless, covered with human feces graffiti and trash.......very sad. I am afraid for anyone walking on it.

By AndyP1998 |

This is a term we’re not used to in the uk but we always like to sit on a beach near restrooms. It was the visitor center who introduced us to this term so we went to the West Biloxi beachwalk beach. Having read some reviews was worried the beach wouldn’t be clean. On the contrary just saw one bottle that some idle person couldn’t be bothered to put in a bin. Lovely white sand beach and of course plentiful restrooms. An added bonus was the ice cream parlour in the boardwalk shops.

By Timothy32 |

If you like nasty smelling beaches, brown water "I think some of this is because the city run off pipes runs straight into the gulf you can walk on them if you want, but I wouldn't". I went to the same beaches as a kid and they were so beautiful but not anymore,I wouldn't recommend swimming, fishing, or even walking on these beaches. No way I would eat any fish that came out of them.

By Emily F |

Peaceful, calm and clean with rental options for water sports! Visited during spring break and had the beach mostly to ourselves. It was so relaxing! It was like being on a private island! The sand was white, free of debris and great for digging your toes in!
The waves are few and far between and water is not very deep, but my teens loved being able to go out further than ever before. Though we did not rent anything during our time there, there are several stands along the beach where you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas, oversized beach tricycles, jet skis, paddle boards, and kayaks. Great options for people of all ages.
I love the loop trail that goes out over the water! Great views of the pelicans and cranes!

By martaelizabeth |

Harrahs left a bad taste in ny mouth so I left biloxi rather quickly. Didnt have a desire to evem look at places I originally was interested in

By HeatherKilgore |

The beach is disgusting, I don’t understand why the city doesn’t do something to keep the area clean, not to mention homeless ppl with their tents and all their garbage laying all over the place.

By AKudzu |

Just like my last visit here, it's a pretty and peaceful area until you start getting closer to the water. At the waters edge you end up noticing there is so much trash floating in the water and washed up on the beach. Our biggest concern is having the kids running around and stepping on the many pieces of glass we spotted. I picked up a few pieces every time we went out on the beach. I want so badly to like this beach as its half a days drive from home and the kids enjoy taking a day or two off to visit it but it just takes away from the fun when you're constantly seeing broken beer bottles where your little ones (and yourself) are walking and running around. If they could fix this issue it would be a much nicer visit. We will come back, but with the expectations of these things.

By mmora1000 |

We stayed in Biloxi one night this past June on our way to New Orleans from South Florida, big mistake! They call this place Little Vegas, but not even close.....It seems like this was a project at some point that never developed into anything! Just a few hotels far away from each other, Hard Rock and the one next to it (don't remember) are probably the nicest. The beach is deserted and the water is brown. Not much beach activities, restaurants or fun things to do. We walked from the Harrah's to the Margaritaville across the street around 10PM and we didn't see one person, and I mean ONE, UNO (1) person around!!! I guess if you leave around that area, and you want to gamble and go to the beach, so be it, but don't even think about go on vacation there! If you want a nice beach, try to get to Destin, Panama City Beach and if you want to gamble, a bit far but go to the real thing!! Vegas baby!

By Carla T |

We loved this beach. The water is calm and not deep which is great for relaxing on a float. It is not crowded.

By AlabamaAngel |

My family of three and I visited Biloxi Beach, recently. We were pleased to find ample, free parking! This was our first visit to Biloxi. We are used to going to the beach in Gulf Shores. I will tell you that Biloxi Beach is not near as pretty as Gulf Shores but it is also not crowded (which we loved). It was so nice to go to the beach and not have to pay for parking and to have plenty of room to relax without hundreds of people around. We had a really great afternoon at the beach. I do wish that the sand was whiter and the water was blue but it is what it is. It’s a free beach with lots of free parking so it’s a win for me!

By Jennifer W |

We enjoyed walking along the beach, seeing pelicans and sea gulls. The boardwalk, actually concrete, is great for walking for fresh air and exercise.

By Leslie F |

Unfortunately I would never let my kids or myself in that water. It looks like sewer water. It’s a nice view but that’s about it.

By RoseS361 |

It was off-season but still beautiful to see. The beach is clean, the sand is white, and the water shallow, great location for children.

By Kurt R |

Beautiful white sand beaches. They are always kept as clean as possible. There is plenty of parking in the area.

By kawhite59 |

This beach was all you would expect from a beach. The water, clean sand and not a lot of people at this time.

By Tlc L |

You can walk for miles along the coast on these beaches. Plenty of shops and restaurants along the way.

By Traveling Randy |

Like to gamble and eat sea food, you gotta get to this beach. We were there when the whole Gulf was tainted and still loved the area.

By Laurie C |

Beautiful view. Loved that it had benches right along the sidewalk. Made it nice to get out and look around and watch the sunset!

By Shannon S |

Water is not clear! Sand is white but brought in not natural. No shells but rocks. Lots of glass for a public beach. Susie’s about an hour and left. Traffic is terrible!

By robert b |

Always a good place to go! We've been to this beach many times for the last few years. Very family-friendly, very fun, with lots of things to keep them busy. Make sure to bring some bread to feed the seagulls, and don't forget to play with a hermit crabs in the very shallow water

By E2705MQpatriciab |

The beaches are under going some construction and clean up for Safety reasons. You normally can expect to find chairs with umbrellas, water sports including Jet Ski rental. Lots of activities and entertainment close by!

By Irene |

We are not beach people but we did walk along the beach it seemed clean and not over crowded, The water was clean and it isn't very deep. Should be safe for children

By Steven G |

Used to love it here, but welcome to brown water and a ghost town. Skip the beach and join everyone else in the casino. This is the new normal, even years after the storm.

By Amy T |

Enjoyed a nice walk on the beach. The winds were really high that day so the water was so cold and a little cloudy. Beautiful scenery.
However beware of the boardwalk between Beau Rivage and the beach. It still have hurricane damage and is missing several boards. Be careful!

By candg2017 |

Just to let ANYONE know that this week in Gulfport-Biloxi- plus close by towns is going to be VERY BUSY with the biggest thing of the YEAR Going on. Oct6 - 13 .. so beware. It’s CRUISING THE COAST… with many classic cars etc. It’s pretty awesome also! They will be located in several spots. I would suggest if your coming thru this way to DEFINITIVELY check it out. I WOULD >>>> GO TO The Biloxi welcome center (down by beach ) and talk to them about it. Open until 5pm. HOTELS might be booked.. don’t get caught coming here thinking it will be cheap. Hampton Inn in Diberville is a pretty nice place to stay and just down the highway from all the happenings. My husband and I stayed at this hotel while looking for a home.
ENJOY !

By Jessica Cripe |

We visited Biloxi beach for the first time with our 18mo daughter. The beaches are conveniently located to the casinos and the parking is ideal. I’m only giving 3 stars because we found multiple pieces of broken glass in the sand. As a parent with a baby playing in the sand, I’m sure you can understand my concern with this. The beaches just don’t seem to be as manicured as other beaches we’ve been to. The sand is pretty and it really does look like they are trying to get Biloxi up and going again. We still had a great time at the beach and my daughter loved every bit of it. The beach wasn’t crowded at all and it was really nice and peaceful!

By Charles P |

The beach is now in excellent shape after major storms. It is clean, long and gradually goes into the water. There is also ample free parking which is awesome amenity.

By barryhenry60 |

We try to go once a year in June. But because of the red algy we couldn't even go on the beaches. there are no other attractions around to enjoy unless you have kids.

By ZeroBoxes |

THUNDER OVER THE BAY
US AIR FORCE THUNDERBIRDS expo was an excellent, outstanding, stellar event both Saturday and Sunday. KEESLER AFB put on a superb event again. Biloxi beaches were the “show box” area and people were polite, courteous, and thoughtful of potential litter. People only left foot prints, no plastic, bottles, cans or paper. Beach scenes are beautiful. A great family event for all.

Aug. 26th four of us women climbed on board WestJet and flew from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to L.A. connecting to New Orleans then renting a car and drove out to Biloxi ,Mississippi. We had directions to get to the Royal Beach Resort which was directly behind the Treasure Bay Casino. I used the timeshare company RCI to trade into this condo. What a great place to go! The resort is very well situated in Biloxi, close to everything and not far from anything! We were close to some amazing seafood beach restaurants like Shaggy's, Lucy's, Butts butts and More Butts,Fat Bottom BBQ, and more.Next we went on a tour and found Orangatangs/Prop Stop - Bar. on the Biloxi River. This is like a small local pub but hosts a variety of events . Great pub to find. Drinks were very nice too. We also went on a swamp tour with Dr. Wagner's Honey Island Swamp Tours with Captain Chris. This was one of the best swamp tours I have ever been on. Captain Chris was extremely knowledgeable and answered every single question asked with professional and direct answers. The boat was comfortable and prepared for everything Mother Nature threw at us. The rain came down hard but we were well taken care of. The next day we went to a neighboring town of Ocean Springs where we went to the Crawfish House and had a delicious feed of Crawfish,Gator bites (grilled)salad and of coarse delicios drinks. Then off to Government Street to shop the local artisan shops. Some really great clothing shops and allot of different things to be seen down there! We also listened to an awesome 2 man band at the Glory Bound Gyro Company (restaurant and Bar). Another fun place to go. The next day was a down day spent at the pool at our Royal Beach Resort where we get to share the pools with the Casino. Off into New Orleans for our last day before we go homme. We went to Home Suites 2 after we dropped the car off at the airport and Ubered to Home Suites which is only 2 miles from the airport. We went and got on the Hop On Hopp Off Tour . What a great way to see New Orleans. We did the whole tour then decided to go again and get off at French Street, when done there we got an Uber to Bourban Street and when done there got an Uber to the hotel and then to airport. What an amazingly fun holiday.

These guys are up & going early in order to maintain their beaches. They are really nice and clean. It was a pleasure to visit.

By Allen A |

Clean sandy beach goes on for miles..
We spent the day eating/drinking our way along the Gulf beach but kept returning to the waters edge.

By achorney711 |

Biloxi Beach is a nice clean and quiet beach, During the week it is great. on the weekend it gets a little busy, but the water is so warm you want to play in it a lot. No matter how many people are in it. It can be very hot on the sand. Beware of hot sand.

By Joan |

The white sands are beautiful but the water is brown, dirty and smelly and also loaded with jellyfish you can clearly see at the shorefront. This beach is good if you want to spend the day on shore, lounging in your chair with a canopy and a good book listening to the tides as they roll in

By Jodi H |

26 miles of gorgeous white, sandy beach. The longest strip of beach on the Mississippi coast. The waters are calm which seems odd to me seeing zero waves. You can access the beach right off of Beach Blvd. There’s free parking at the lighthouse. Go & enjoy! We just sat & enjoyed the views. Did a little bird watching too. No swimming for us in January!

By Dorothy L |

We did not get in the water. Lots of others were though and seemed to be having a good time. We just walked on the beach and enjoyed the scenery.

By TararaBelle |

Our beaches are beautiful! Our sand is sugar soft. The views are breathtaking and our sunsets, especially in the Fall, have been painted by the hand of God. We have so much going on here that it is hard NOT to find something to do. In the warmer months, bring your chair and plant yourself between the strandline and our baby dunes with a cold drink, some good music or a good book. Make your way to any of our beachfront restaurants for lunch or happy-hour then supper. Catch that awe-inspiring sunset from one of the new boardwalk restaurants or from the old Broadwater marina (just be careful in there - the roads are broken and there is no rail to keep you from driving into the water). You can do the same in the cooler months - just change your attire up some but at night, our beaches have several firepits in each town. They are available for rent for a small fee and a deposit. You get the deposit back if you clean the pit out but that usually has to be done the next day bc of the hot coals. There are also a few entrepreneurs who now do all of this for you, including catering if you want that, too. Start with Harrison County Sand Beach Authority if you are interested in reserving a firepit. They may be able to help you with the start-ups who do all the work for you or check elsewhere on TripAdvisor or Facebook. I havent used them myself although I have been to events run by one such company. Bonfires on the beach are especially fun on a cool night so truly consider this! I have great childhood and teenage memories from events like this. Just to note, TripAdvisor makes me choose a date of travel. I am writing this based on my experiences here, in Biloxi, on the beach, and in other coastal towns, year round.

By IamZChef |

While the sand is beautiful the water is not. I understand why the water is this way and no fault of the beach. There is tons of beach here as it is rhe longest man made beach. Plenty of beach for miles to enjoy with some spots having chairs/umbrellas, water bikes and jet skies.

By WendyD |

Biloxi beach has beautiful white, powdery sand. It has a long boardwalk, and beautiful views. It is very clean and well groomed, has ample benches, parks, and garbage cans. There are many restaurants along the beach as well.

By Robert A |

The weather for the most part was nice. We did a shrimp boat tour and had a great time , we also did a walk through the mall and that was good also.

By Kelly |

Me and my family had a great day at the beach. The only bad thing was we couldn’t get in the water. We asked some locals where they went They told us they went to a swimming place called the Kroc. My family loved it there. Can’t wait to go back.

By Wilddog |

Visiting Biloxi again and we can't believe how well the city is still keeping the beach looking great. We always visit in the late fall and the beach may not be as pristine on rhe busy summer months, but today it looks great. There was some beach restoration wiyh heavy equipment in one area. We enjoyed our long walk in the evening as the high temperature was 81 with evening temp of 71.

By Phillip O |

Even after Zeta came through they cleaned up the beaches and grated the sand off the road quickly. When I was here they were mostly empty. But that was on a weekday.

By Rob S |

Mississippi beaches do not compare to Florida beaches due to the Mississippi River. The Mississippi River spews so much mud out into Gulf of Mexico at the mouth of the river that the sand is tan and water is dirty, can't see your feet in ankle deep water. Florida beaches are so much prettier with white sand and blue / green water. Biloxi beach is less crowded than Florida and are pretty clean. Don't get me wrong I love hanging out in Biloxi but rather stay at the hotel pool verses the beach. Biloxi has some great hotels / casinos with great pools and some wonderful restaurants (The Reef and Half Shell).

By Debra R |

There was trash along the waters edge. The water was very shallow and I think you would have to walk out a long way to get waist deep. The water was clear but there appeared to be a muddy bottom. The sand on the beach was pretty and white but contained a lot of trash and I notice several pieces of broken glass and metal debri. I realize they have had storms recently but I recall seeing the same thing when i was here 10 years ago. If planning a beach trip with young children I would look into another location and definitely not here. Not a place I would bring my Grandchildren. Orange Beach is so much nicer

By FLGIRL |

Different type of beach than what I am used to, reason being there is a main road with two lanes of traffic both ways constantly driving behind you as you are at the beach. There is free parking. The gulf is very quiet and great for kids to play safely. It was more like a lake when we were there. I would bring everything you need bc there is not a lot around. This is not a beach scene like Daytona Beach, Destin Beach, Clearwater Beach where you can find plenty of food, souvenir stores, etc. It is to me like more residential with some motels sprinkled around and further down at the beach the casino/hotel which was really nice. I would save this beach for little ones and relax, enjoy, have fun.

By Andi Pandy H |

The water is a cesspool. Alligators swim there as well. Nice for pictures only go to Alabama for cleaner beaches.

By Melissa S |

Biloxi beach is a beautiful white sand beach that is well maintained. There are some nice locations for photo shoots, always important with teenage girls in tow! The only drawback is all of the plastic that washes ashore, this is not a knock on Biloxi Beach, only a statement on our overuse of plastic and it's effects on our oceans. All in all, Biloxi Beach is a beautiful beach in a clean town!

By Terri P |

One of the things I really like about Biloxi is that it is right on the beach. If you stay at one of the many hotels right on Highway 90, the beach is right across the street. Of course, it is the northern Gulf Coast, so the beaches are blindingly white and beautiful.

Unfortunately, when we visited, the waters were closed to swimmers because of microbes in the water. Also, you must cross a busy highway to access the beach from hotels. Lastly, the proximity of the town to the beach causes major problems during hurricanes. Still, it's a great place for visitors!

By Paula R |

I had low expectations. I already knew the water wasn’t going to be as pretty as Florida or Alabama. I just needed a short, inexpensive getaway with a shorter drive. And Biloxi exceeded my expectations.
The water was like being at the lake but with waves, saltwater, and powdery white sand. I took my young adult/teen daughters and we all enjoyed playing on the beach and in the water, and we got a lot of great pictures. The girls had a blast playing on jet skis and seeing dolphins.
There are lots of fun things for families to do in Biloxi! It’s less expensive than many other places, gas was a lot cheaper. The people were all very friendly.
We had so much fun, I would have given it 5 stars. But I did spend a minute picking up and throwing away a couple trash items each time I went (I always carry gloves in my car.) Not a lot, just enough to make me wonder why folks can’t hit the trash barrels that are *right there.*

By Vita Q |

Parked my Peterbilt at the beach spent the afternoon with my wife showing scenery fresh air. Amazing place for tranquil beautiful afternoon. Drivers you'll live this beach.

By Glenn |

Nice well kept beach.
White Sand and it's really nice to be able to drive along the water and see the ocean with highrises blocking the view. OPlenty of places to stop and walk and even take a dip inthe water if you like.
Had plenty of water equipment to rent to enjoy your day.
Hard to beleive how much work they did after Katrina.
Good Job to all the employee's that brought this area back.

By renrynw |

The sand was white and beautiful, but the water is definitely not for swimming and is murky. The sand is slimy on the ocean floor. You can’t sit in the water or walk along the beach because there are jellyfish everywhere!

By Leembabin |

I have been to multiple beaches around the world, so I am rating this with those experiences in mind. Biloxi's beach is clean and roomy. Near our hotel, there was a public facility with restrooms and outdoor showers, so that was convenient. There are lots of restaurants and activities along the beach. The biggest problem is that I love to be in the water, but the water is mucky from the Mississippi River, so the water is not clear. That is the beach's downside. Still, I have been there more than a dozen times in my life, and I will be back at least a dozen more.

By kelly g |

Beautiful white sand and it’s right beside the main road and super convenient to slit if places..you could never get bored here

By paulsykes2020 |

This is a nice place to visit but don't expect waves or surf along the Mississippi Gulf Coast; to get that, you need to boat out to the outer islands. The sand is clean; the water is very (VERY) shallow so you can walk out into the water a hundred yards or more and still be in waist-high water. Be aware of the bird sanctuaries and other restricted areas along the beach for protecting not only wildlife but also the environment.

By winifred9188 |

This time of year, the beach is quiet , white and beautifully maintained. Parking to get out and walk is no problem. The sunsets are very photogenic.

By REBECCA W |

Love it. Worth the visit if you are passed your party days. Cold in November which I hear is a nice change...we completely enjoyed our day. Especially because the tide was very low.

By Chassity Cannon |

I have been going to Biloxi for many years and have seen the ups and downs of our Miss Gulf Coast, but last weekend I spent the weekend in Biloxi. I have to say I have never been more proud of our coast line. The beaches were very clean, not over crowded, and everyone was super friendly. If you have not been to Biloxi and the surrounding areas in a while.....give it a try. I was super impressed with the long and hard road of recovery since Hurricane Katrina. Sure, there is still a long way to go but there is still plenty to do and see.

By Brittney |

The beach was okay but honestly it was pretty dirty. The water wasn't very clean either. I don't know if it was typical, but trsffic surrounding the area was horrible too, and it took quite a while to leave.

By Morris N |

The beach is good, although it still seems a bit dirtier than Gulf Shores or Pensacola. The water is more cloudy due to the rivers flowing in, but it was very warm and refreshing. We like the Biloxi beach because you can find many spots where it is not as crowded and the parking is closer than many other beaches.

By Dan L |

How much can one write about a beach? The beauty of the white sand glistening in the sun. The Gulf waters adding to the aviance. A wonderful way to relax on the beach or on the benches and enjoy God's beauty.

By michaeljones46 |

Long white sand beach, down side it is right by the main road through Biloxi along the coast so noisy. No facilities for restrooms that I could see.

By Todd K |

Unless you're into casinos, and it's nothing like Vegas, this is no more than a day trip, or a stop for the night if you're on a road trip along the Gulf.
Aquarium is not worth the near $30/person as it's very small,."boardwalk" is just a concrete path with nothing to stop at along the way...just use it for a stroll along the beach or biking.
Oh if you like Waffle House, there are a lot of them here!

By rdholler |

The beach was wide and very clean (saw several tractors collecting trash on the beach). During the week, the beach was empty, Be sure to drive along the beach to find a place as it is nicer in the middle (south of the lighthouse).

By CathyP217 |

The beach was clean and the sand white/fine but the water is only knee deep. We were there in the off season during the week and it was deserted.

By Mary F |

Everyone in Mississippi knows you do NOT go in the water. Brackish, brown, toxic algae, flesh eating bacteria? Are you serious? Enjoy the beach from afar, but great wildlife observation. Got to see dolphins and my favorite brown pelicans. Osprey, gulls.

By Patrick H |

Beautiful and very nice beach . especially in March. Very well-groomed and taken care of. Definitely will go back as soon as I can.

By Dana M |

Beautiful beaches w white sand along beach blvd for miles! Clean, have lots of water rental stuff along the beaches like jet skiis, umbrellas, chairs, and there are lots places to eat close..The ice cream truck came by several times. One of the best beaches I have ever been. The water is warm its amazing!

By Brigitte C |

We got to Biloxi and was excited to have hotel across the street. The sand is white. And there is plenty of room on the beach. The water and shoreline left a lot to be desired. They was dead catfish, sea weed, plastic bottles, and wood chunks. The water was not clear at all. We did play in it less than waist deep. It was a stopping point on our vacation.

By Rachel123000 |

The beach is really pretty but the water is brown and you hardly see anyone going in the water. Good place for relaxing and sun bathing on the white sand.

By DellsLOVE |

Sand and view of the ocean are great . If you just want to relax on a beach and not crowded this is the place. Not much to do along the beach except restaurants on the ends of the beach

By Michelle G |

We enjoyed the long walks along the beach. We watched fishermen as they enjoy their catches. The water was murky but that was expected. A very nice place to visit.

By mario v |

Biloxi Beach is beautiful, surrounded by many great shops and restaurants. I enjoyed my rime in Biloxi alot.

By Charles P |

Biloxi beach is composed of fine white sand next to shallow gulf waters. There are beach chairs and Jet Skis for rent during the warmer months along with Parasail and Schooner sailboat trips. The beach here doesn’t ever seem to be crowded.

By Robbie S |

This part of the Mississippi Sound became a surprise to me and my family. It is a man made beach (non-native sand brought in for tourist industry many years ago), but you couldn't tell it if not told. Perhaps the unique quality of this beach came with how shallow it is, perfect for my small children. I didn't test the full length of the waters for depth, but I did go at least 25 yards in before being waist deep. There was little fear in my children going to far out once this was discovered. Also, the waters seem calmer than other beaches I've visited in the past: Myrtle Beach, SC; Tybee Island, GA; St. Augustine, FL; Gulf Shores, AL. Perhaps these attributes came from being man made or the nearby Cat, Ship, and Horn Islands may have something to do with it. Regardless, this beach was one to help teach my children to swim had I more time.

By David M |

Biloxi has made efforts to make their beaches nicer. White sand is now here, abit trucked in I imagine.

By sweeperworld |

We brought our family down to Biloxi Beach a couple years ago and it was very dirty. It was a few days after the Fourth of July and lots of people had set off fireworks on the beach, but instead of taking their trash with them they left their garbage everywhere. It was very disappointing to see how trashed the beaches were. Even though we stayed only footsteps from the beach. We only went twice because it was so dirty. We just stayed in the pool because it wasn't worth having to worry about my kids stepping barefoot on someone's old firework.

I understand Biloxi just came off spring break, but see from other postings at other times this is an ongoing problem. It was my first time in Biloxi and we were on West Beach only and so put off by the litter everywhere and saw overflowing trash cans everywhere that we decided to stay off the beaches. Glad we are only here for 2 days. Beaches are pretty from a distance, people are super nice, food is great but the litter totally turned us off. We will not be back to Biloxi. Our RV park was old and not well maintained. Wanted to grab a trash bag and pick up trash everywhere we went.

Also found weird gelatin like things in the water. Oil? Picture below.

Great beaches with a new boardwalk that sprawls for what seems like miles and miles.

Great landscape to get lost in. Beach venues open up to the board walk and allow for a nice flow from one point to the next.

Beach is clean and well preserved through the day.

The beach is kept very clean. We liked the white sand. It was fun watching the pelican and birds. It was chilly when we were there, so am not sure what it is like in the busy season.

We wanted a day to chill after travelling around on our road trip. We chose Biloxi which was about 2hrs away from New Orleans but worth it for the lovely white sand . Water is a little murky but warm. Not many amenities there , but a nice time to relax

The beach boardwalk is great. My wife and I loved taking walks in the morning with lots of friendly people along the way

Everyone loves a good beach. Sadly, few like this one. The barrier islands are nice, but not the coast. No waves, brown water, remnants of storms past linger off shore. We asked locals if they go there, and they said they all go well east for a gold beach. Emerald Coast this is not.

The beach west of Biloxi city center is a beautiful white sand beach. Walking along the waters edge we found several piles of junk left by earlier visitors. Broken beach toys, shirts, empty water bottles, etc. Looked like they had been there a day or two. Was surprised that the water is an ugly brown, not very inviting.

From a distance? The beach is beautiful. White sand, blue water... but when you get closer to the water, it’s not really blue, it’s more brownish. My kids were not willing to go into the water and wondered how others were willing to swim in the water. Waking on the beach was nice—well maintained and clean, but the water was not great.

Alright, here's the deal. My husband and I went to Biloxi for a vacation but we were also interested in scouting out potential investment short term rental properties. Our primary interest was for a coastal beach front or beach near property that we could purchase.
There are properties available at a decent price. The sand on the beach is really pretty and clean but it was mostly deserted. The water was the HUGE drawback for us. The water was brown and the sand in the water was black, oily, and smelled of sulphur. My husband said the smell reminded him of raw sewage. There are large drainage pipes going straight into the water that is supposed to carry rainwater runoff.
The town had all the amenities and vibe we were looking for but the water at the beach and the smell was a definite deal breaker for us.

We enjoyed walking on the beach here. It was a clean area with some really pretty views. The sand was white but the water was not clear as in the Gulf Panhandle. Nice beach

Nice sandy beach that is well maintained. Nice area to walk at the waters edge or seasonally enjoy the sun and water. Has several buildings to use for restrooms and go upstairs to look out to sea. Lots of birds there to entertain you.
Many resturants have beach access so you will not be thirsty or hungry. Several fire rings as well to use.
Great sunrise and sunset place.

The view of the beach was awesome but the water was not clear and looked dirty. We were also told that the water was contaminated with harmful bacteria. We didn’t dare go in the water, but we enjoyed the walk surrounding the beach especially that night when the moon was shining over the water. The view was breath taking, making us marvel at God’s gift to us.

The beaches were beautiful. Clean. Not overcrowded. There was a very nice washroom on the beach. Amenities available like seadoos, chairs umbrellas....Most impressive for me was the amount of parking right at the beach. From parking lots to pull over lanes that you could park in, easy access for unloading and being right on the beach....very good for visitors!

The shallow beach is good for children. Children should not be brought here as it is too filthy beach.

We make this trip at least twice a year, this beach is especially peaceful at night when the sun goes down and not real busy during the day. The sand is really thick and hard to walk on if you have any physical limitations, but they did recently add a section for handicap people to go out on, which is great.

By Tanya W |

The beach was not very crowded for being late April. It was clean, but the water was brown. Its a short distance from Beau Rivage casino. The Biloxi Lighthouse is nearby. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Parking is free.

If you're not a fan of gambling or access to fresh seafood, this really isn't for you. Unlike the Gulf Coast beaches in Alabama or Florida, the barrier islands make for a lukewarm experience. They have recently built a boardwalk, but other than that and doing a bit of beachwalking, I wouldn't recommend going for a swim.

By jdb825 |

The beach is great! I just wish they had workers constantly on duty to pick up the trash! Do not misread what I'm saying: I'm not trying to imply the beach is full of trash. It is not. But there is trash scattered around and I simply think the beach is too beautiful for this to be the case. This also goes to visitors as well: STOP TRASHING THE BEACH! Especially during a pandemic! There are trash cans...use them! I would suggest the beach council add more trash cans at the beach. Again, not trying to scare anyone off, the beach is gorgeous. I just get annoyed at something so beautiful being littered. This beach is definitely worth the hour and a half drive from New Orleans though. Great sunset view, beautiful beach, and plenty of dining options, casinos, and hotels around to make a nice getaway.

By Linda866 |

The beach is beautiful, white gorgeous sand. The water was a little murky but I'm sure that was from all the rain they had.

By Christy |

Very clean white beach. From Gulfport to Biloxi the beaches were great. Not very crowded and family friendly. Lots of kites and family fun. Plenty of chairs. I love that buildings are not beach front! All beach, no tacky structures. Fire pits were awesome. Great trip

By Dawn |

The water is very contaminated. It is not safe to swim in and the color is brown. There are no sea shells because it’s a man made beach. If you want a REAL beach, you need to catch a ride out to Ship Island or go over to AL. It is pretty to look at when you drive along Hwy 90!

By James W |

Great white sand beach that stretches forever. It is clean and safe and the houses you pass are often beautiful antebellum structures.

By Allie C |

The beach is beautiful, but the water is murky and dirty. The water was also not deep enough to swim in. Hardly anyone was on the beach, and most days the tide was out. We had a great time in Biloxi, but my family will be choosing a different beach to go to next vacation.

By Bchgrl9 |

Very few people on the white sand May 29. EZ parking, no restrooms or food/drink nearby so bring your own.
Hot with umbrella for rent but 11 yr olds had fun.

By Lori W |

Great place to enjoy a peaceful vacation. My husband and I had a great time celebrating out 38th anniversary.

By Edie H |

Very pretty with white sugar sand. There is a lot of glass pieces in the sand but it appears that the town try’s to keep it nice but there was a lot of homeless people around and we’re camping near the light house in there cars and hanging out. The water is way to gross and dirty to go in even if it would have been warmer. Not a lot to do if you don’t gamble but I still really enjoyed the beauty of the area. They are doing a lot of beautiful concrete work on the sidewalks and have an amazing walking lane over one of the bridges.

By Tom |

Nice beach with clean sand and fun walking at low tide - you can go out quite a ways. New composite boardwalk along the beach with benches and multiple access points to the beach.

By TravelingBum10 |

This is a beautiful beach area. That goes for miles. There is several parking lots along the way. The water was a little rough on the day we went. There’s a boardwalk and a lighthouse. Lots of hotels before the bridge

By Sally S |

I loved this beach. We didn’t swim because it was too cold but very beautiful. I walked most of it in my bare feet My husband picked up a couple pieces of glass and a little bit of trash but not more than a few pieces. So I’d said it was pretty clean. We saw lots of beautiful seashells and sea glass. Super close to a main road and plenty of parking in the off season.

By Bea |

Wonderful beach. Next to one part of the beach there is a beautiful white lighthouse, opposite the information center with free parking and a pier. The beach is clean and sandy.

By LLSO |

Enjoyed Biloxi beach and was very reminiscent as I spent quite a bit of time here with my family when I was a child

By Ali D |

Miles of tranquil beach with soft white sand. Biloxi beach is clean and peaceful, great place to chill and relax

By Slump G |

literally the most disgusting beach i have ever been to, the water and air had a horrible odor, dirty brown water, and flesh eating amoebas, don’t go in the water, they take down the warning signs when tourists come, even the locals warned us about it. this beach should honestly be shut down

By Jim M |

We have been to this beach probably 10 times and it is always clean and never any trash. They use tractors to smooth and clean the beaches every morning. Visit the Tern area, it's nice what they have done for the birds. Very peaceful place and lots of room.

By meongo123 |

Beautiful beach in Biloxi which runs for 26 miles from Bay St. Louis to Ocean Springs. Swimming and jet skies allowed.

By Alisha Story |

We enjoyed our stay for Labor Day weekend. We went to Life’s a Beach and rented 2 jet skis and rode for 60 minutes. It was peaceful out on the water watching the birds eat from the ocean and watching the sail boats. We had an amazing time.

Miles and miles of beaches but NO BATHROOMS. No restaurants to even go to the bathroom because McDonald's was closed insiy

By etcollins59@yahoo.com |

On my weekend off took a drive down to Biloxi Beach. The weather was great, it was just nice for relaxing. The water was refreshing. This is an inexpensive way to relax. So get your sun block soak up the fresh air, bring a book just enjoy!!

By SwimMom14 |

I found the beach to be mediocre at best. The sand was white and soft however there was debris on the beach. It was just ok. I am sorry l cannot say more.

By JILLERNST |

I love it here! This is my third time here I love how you can drive for 28 miles and see nothing but white sandy beaches. They didn’t quickly rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. Their building codes are a lot more Regulatory

By beachbumtoo1 |

If you have been to the Florida Emerald Coast or the Keys, you need to understand Biloxi is different. Our beach is inland of our barrier islands and within the Gulf Sound. So if you are looking for calm beach front waters, even though they mainly stay steely gray, this is the place. If you don't want that long drive to Florida, or you like casinos, this is the place. You can take a shrimp or fishing boat charter, or the boat out to Ship Island as well.
The beach. Well, it's our beach. Shhh, not everyone knows Mississippi has a beach or cool people on the coast. Keep it our secret, ok? It's home to Cruising the Coast (antique cars) in the fall and Black Spring break in well, the spring. The Coliseum has concerts, and you can find plenty of restaurants and entertainment for kids outside at Big Play and inside at Margaritaville. There is a boardwalk by the restaurant strip. There are open container areas where you can take your drink from one restaurant to another. Some have beach front patios and sandy play areas for the kids.
We have 26 miles of public beach that you can access anywhere, and a nice fishing pier by the lighthouse. However, this and by the Coliseum are the most crowded places on the beach because you can rent chairs and umbrellas as well as water riding toys. The sand is a white to tan crystalline type that feels great between your toes. The water stays shallow a long way out, so the kids can safely splash away. At high tide you can get to water deep enough to swim pretty easily. You can also bring a fishing pole or flounder at night, or just watch the locals.
As my daddy used to say, "Why do you need to go to Florida? It's so crowded..." We have very few high rise condos. There is plenty room for us all.

By scyoungblood |

The water was off limits because of algae, but the beach was great. We weren't planning on actually getting in the ocean this time as we had thing to do. It was a great walk and we enjoyed the many piers. Got a great sunset picture off of Lighthouse pier.

By Jamie M |

The beach was very clean. In addition, it was not very crowded which is a plus with the covid virus.

By Kristel H |

Biloxi beach should not have the title of a beach. This is the Mississippi sound. The water has no movement, very shallow (you walk a 100ft out and the water is still at your calfs) all the water debris just sits on the bottom. The water is brown and has a odor. There are culverts that run into the water about every 50ft. The sand is soft and whiteish color, however, it I littered with broken glass and trash. As far as Biloxi goes unless you are a gambler don’t go. This is not a family vacation spot. We did stay at the Ocean Club Villas on Beach Blvd. The condo was one of the nicest I have stayed in.

By Gary T |

Had a great time with a family of 10!!! I recommend not bringing any type of food on the beach so that you won’t be crowded by seagulls!

By Patty F |

I would not recommend a walk on this beach without shoes on due to so much broken glass in the sand. I came upon a shallow pool of water and what I saw floating dead was a young raccoon, my heart was saddened by this site.

By Sheilavehla |

Beautiful beach for watching the sunset. Nice sand with a good deal of space between you and the ocean.

Lots of fun restaurants that look out to the ocean. We walked along the boardwalk. The only downside is they don’t allow the dog on the beach. She was not happy. She was happy at some of the fun restaurants because they cater to dogs and gave her treats. That’s all it takes.

By Dawn |

The beach is beautiful but you shouldn’t get in the water. I love just walking the beach. You can’t find seashells because it’s not the actual gulf. It’s a man-made beach

By Doug G |

The Gulf is not as I remember. Tar balls encrusted in the sand below the water's surface, and floating pieces of trash are not an uncommon sight as you walk through the gentle surf. Sad.
Those in charge of the beach area work diligently to keep the sand clean, but the water itself is beyond their control.

By Sidonie S |

The sand is white and soft but the water is brown and makes it hard to get in. Also, the seafloor is very flat so one must walk for a while before getting water to the knees.
