Great Venue, easy to get my disabled brother in and out. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of great performers coming in.

Excellent! We had an amazing time in Shipshewana! We love it there. We went to the flea market but it rained so we couldn't experience it fully. We went to Daniel O'Donnell"s concert and had a fabulous time and then we ate at 2 Amish restaurants which were incredible. We can't wait to come back!

As RVers, we just had to see "Ned and Nancy See America". It was delightful! The story line was humorous and touching. The acting, music and props were all good. The hospitality of everyone connected with the theatre really makes you feel welcome. Just a great experience!

We love going to the Blue Gate Theater. We have seen every play that they have done. Ned & Nancy will go down as the least favorite. The acting was good but the story line was geared for the older generation. Considering that was what the audience was comprised of then it was probably a win/win. We much prefer the Amish themed plays and consider "The Confession" the best one yet. It is a small theater and only 90 minutes so that was a plus but the price of $40 per ticket was a bit steep for this play.

I always love the quality of the plays. The small theater makes it easy to see everything. The only thing I do not like is that we have to pay theater prices for water or a snack instead of having more reasonable prices. We pay enough for the play and dinner. Paying another $10 each for a small snack is too much.

The concert was wonderful, the atmosphere was great. It was easy to get to and to get out. It was our 25th anniversary and it was a awesome experience and I believe we will definitely be back

The show, his choice of music, his singing, band was wonderful,,,,,love each…a outstanding performance

Why did you allow Jay Leno’s vulgar jokes, bad language with repetitive G** D*** and making fun of Jesus Christ?? If I had known this beforehand, I would not have come! I got up and walked out, but should have walked out sooner. It was awful!

We’ve attended several shows at the Blue Gate and have always come away very pleased. There isn’t a bad seat in the house

We needed a short getaway & the Chonda Pierce show was perfect timing for us! Her show in combination with a visit to Shipshewana was wonderful. The town was decorated for fall & was whimsical & cute - scarecrows in the trees & climbing windmills were adorable

I love the venue. It's super easy to get to, parking is easy, there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the place, concessions are available and reasonably priced, it's a great place to see a concert.

Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. Fried chicken could have used a touch less frying, but it was still good.

We always pre order our tickets months in advanced. We picked up our dinner/theater tickets July 21 for July 23. We didn't know we still had to register so we had to rush our dinner jn order to make the show on time.it wouldve been appreciated if that were explained to us when our tickets were picked up.

We are visiting the area for a few days and had to come to the theater. There was quite a bit that we could relate to, it was a hoot. We recommend to come to the theater for any of the shows

Had an outstanding time! Wasn’t the first time seeing them but the venue made it even better! Will definitely be attending other shows there!

The shows are fantastic!
I have been to several and will attend in future but prefer less interruptions during show.
The audience members who carry 2 beer in to show, have to leave during show for obvious reasons then return with more beer in hand to repeat again 30 minutes later is annoying to those of us who actually want to enjoy the show. You can't avoid having the screamers, swaying clappers/ seat dancers, or talkers so that we expect but drinks in theatre restricted you could do. It is only for a couple hours!

The show was great, it reflects life experiences that you find funny and can relate to but also the seriousness and fragile part of life.

The show and dinner were great. Wholesome entertaining for kids just wish you offered kid prices for tickets and meal combo.

I’ve seen two shows there this year—great venue! Clean, comfortable, nice bathroom and concessions.great value and acts.

The show was exceptionally great. We enjoy Christian music. Michael is a master of inspiring and performing this type of music. I wish my church would play this type of music.

We seem to be here about twice a year, but each time we visit we seem Tom get the same result—it is nice place with well thought out policies and really, really nice employees.
Sound system was well designed, it works perfectly. Then, there is the “staggering” in the seating. You will know what I mean when you take your seat, you sit in between the people in front of you.
We have never had a bad seat. The place is clean. The air moves a lot in the auditorium…..which is good.
We seem to always be there with an older crowd and everyone behaves and seems to have a good time.
Restrooms are nice and easy to find. Refreshment line moved quickly. Parking seems adequate and plenty of handicap parking.
Over, it’s a nice, safe place that is well run with some well known acts!

The venue is incredible. Parking isnt a problem. No matter what show we have seen there we have enjoyed,. We always get the package with the buffet - because you cant just pass that up.

Reviewing just the venue it was very well decorated and the seats were easy to find. I hadn't ever been to Blue gate before but the staff was kind and it was spacious. Nothing at all what i expected. The sound in the auditorium was fine for what it was and the price of the tickets but it wasn't fantastic but it was all great and I had a great time watching the MJ Live show.

The theatre is so comfortable to get to, there is food available before or after the show and the show is always fun. We have been coming to the theatre for a few years now with a group of friends, so some of the actors that we have seen over the years are almost like family. Very nice theatre and good quality plays. Very enjoyable experience for all.

Concert/building was awesome. Friendly staff. Stayed across the parking lot at hotel. Wasn’t a big fan of it.

It was great, I have loved this group since a teen and even though they were not the original group I grew up listening too they were fantastic got to see 2 of the original and I hope Richard is better.

Everything was wonderful! We drove down and did some shopping and then had lunch. Our waitress answered some of our questions and was excellent! The concert was great and we were both happy and pleased with the whole day!

Venue was great, very comfortable and nice friendly staff. Venue also had great sound, concert started on time and concessions are also good and reasonable.

Restaurant is great, but our favorite is the performing arts, which is affordable and easy access. Their line up of entertainment is impressive. Sound system is great.

Second time here for a concert. Almost every seat is good, screens to see are placed well and sound is good. Excellent value for the cost. It holds 1500 people, and the employees know their jobs and are helpful. This theater is geared towards older people, so lots of handicapped parking and they are used to all the walking “utensils”. The bar does not have red wine (only two white wines). Women’s bathrooms are large, but with a twenty minute intermission and full house, the line/wait can be long.

I had a wonderful experience at the PAC center. They have great parking and know how to handle large crowds. Seating was swift and very comfortable seats.

This was my first trip to Blue Gate Theatre and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The stage is large and the seating is wide and there is not a bad seat in the house. Parking is plentiful and the staff was helpful. Many activities and interesting shops in the area if you're staying around for a while. Will return when I can.

Outstanding experience, great show, wonderful facility, friendly professional staff. Able to enter and exit the facility easily. As all Blue Gate events or services everything was top notch!

The show was great and the theater beautiful. I brought 2 friends and it was the first time for all of us. You didn't disappoint!

I’m afraid if people know how awesome the Blue Gate PAC is it will be harder for me to get tickets to events! Staff is great. Seats are awesome. Dancing is encouraged. Great event genre choices. Vote for your favorite to appear strategy. Memorabilia is a chef’s kiss emoji 🤌

I attended a “BONEY JAMES” concert and it was the best. He and his crew rocked it! I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to seeing them in the future. Blue Gate is a very nice theatre and have very personable employees. Love it all! (*_*)

What a beautiful & intriguing concert hall! Loved the sound, lights, backdrops, & video right in front of us. Staying next door in the motel was excellent! The main thing I loved was Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They sounded FANTASTIC! And are still amazing singers, musicians, & story tellers. It was 100%! People do need to stand and dance though! !!!

This show was absolutely spot on. They entertained us with all our favorites from our youth. Each singer had such talent.

There is not a bad seat in this cozy concert venue. We love to see what new performers are scheduled. You just can’t go wrong staying next door and walking over to enjoy a show. Top notch staff as well. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

This was our first time at Blue Gate, and it was incredible. The ticket prices were very reasonable and so were the concessions. The show/concert was truly wonderful. I hope they bring them back next year!!!

Drove up from Dayton for a play and dinner. Didn't get to do much shopping due to the stores closing at 5Pm or earlier on Saturday night. Still a very nice visit with great food.

One of our favorite places to visit and stay. Comfortable, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Friendly people at check in desk.

We had a great experience at the theatre and restaurant. The food was so good and the show was fun. It is a very nice venue. Comfortable seats. Easy in and out. Lots of memorabilia to look at inside.

We really enjoyed Kenny and Dolly. Elvis seemed nervous on stage and did not engage the crowd as well. Would highly recommend Kenny and Dolly!

They made me feel like they don't care about people like myself in wheelchairs, trying to see shows by putting the only wheelchair accessible area in the very back of the concert venue so we can't enjoy the show. When everybody else in front of us stands up (during the entire concert), they block our view. I went to the aisle, put the front of my wheelchair under the guard rail just so I could see a small part of the concert, they came over and told me I couldn't sit there. I told that person I can't see where they make me park my wheelchair, he shrugged his shoulders and said, you have to move. I tried looking from the back wall when I came back from the restroom and still could not see anything. It's a simple fix to make it so people like myself in a wheelchair, and the rest of the audience can enjoy the concert, but apparently, they don't care enough to fix it, they just want our money. I did call ahead of time to make sure I would be able to see the show when I ordered my tickets, the lady on the phone said yes, it's a clear view to the stage, so I ordered and paid for our tickets. When the show started, everybody stood up, and my view was the audience, I could not see or even enjoy the show. The bluegate theater ripped me off of my money, I could not see or enjoy the show, but they're enjoying my money. I thought this was a respectable place because of the area it's in but apparently I was wrong.
We have been to many other concert venues and have never had any problems, other places want everybody to enjoy the show they paid to see, just not here. Complete let down, completely disappointed, and completely ripped off.

The food was amazing, the hotel spotless and comfortable, the theater had great seats and had admission down pat. 100 percent Will do it again.

Concession stand a bit pricey. Small purses allowed but needs to be communicated better as I saw many ladies needing to take large purses back to their vehicles.

The Blue Gate Theatre is the perfect place for a concert. The seats are all good, the acoustics are great, and while waiting to go into the concert space there are so many wonderful treasures to look at. The staff is friendly and makes you feel they are happy you’re there. Have been several times and will be going back again.

We had a great time. The venue was small and no bad seats and the entertainers were great. They all had tremendous voices and we had a great time.

We go every time they are at the Bluegate, but this last concert was SO EXCELLENT! We had great seats and throughly enjoyed the atmosphere; the audience gave the group two standing ovations at the end.

Seating is always comfortable and all seating you have the ability to see the stage very well. There is always a variety of shows for everyone

Our first time to be in this theater after it's improvement. My husband and I enjoyed the sounds though since we got our tickets late, our location was not so good. Overall excellent

I love coming to see shows at the theatre as they are always fun and I love the dinner and show option. They staff are wonderful and very nice in helping with any questions you may have regarding the show. I also like the free giveaway for a show before the show.

first time at this venue. The concert itself was great. A local person had suggested we go early to see everything and we did go a little early. All the memorabilia on the walls was neat to see. Kind of like a mini museum. I am from out of state but close enough to go back and looking at the schedule, this venue gets quality entertainment that I would see in future. So I hope to return

Everything was of the highest caliber. Pleasantly surprised that they clean the room every day. The last few years other hotels only clean when you leave. We had a patio room and it was nice to sit out. Only wish they were a little more private. Great hot breakfast!

I Love the theater, not a bad sett in the house. the sound is great not to loud. most of the ticket prices are reasonable.

I live in Wisconsin and took my Mom on a road trip to Indiana for the Dean Carter & Terri Clark concert. I bought the buffet dinner and concert tickets. The food was great at the Blue Gate Restaurant was fresh and the service was friendly . The concert was down the road and was interesting with all the memorabilia of stars to look at while waiting for the show.

First time attendees at an event there and we were blown away by the atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. Our seats in Section 100 Row L were great, although there doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. Already looking to see when we will be back and plan on enjoying the dinner experience before the show. Thanks to all for a great job.

We decided to do a last-minute getaway for our anniversary. Saw Clint Black in concert and had the buffet meal. Great experience!

The performance of Jeff Foxworthy was great! He did a great job with entertainment. When entering the Blue Gate theater, went through security (appreciate that being in place for our safety), my husband needed to go back to the car. We had purchased concessions and the security guard took the bottled water (Labeled Blue Gate on the bottle) out of his hand and threw it in the trash. He said we purchased it here. They did not care just grabbed it and threw it in the trash. A bit disheartening.

Love the 'new' Blue Gate Theater. It was a wonderful evening. The previous time we attended a concert,we sat on foldingchairs. Now there is comfortable theater seating and big screens so you don't miss a moment.

We come all the time for the restraunt and and the shows the last visit was excellent with the brothers of the heart

Great shows and very injoyable. We think you need more exits. It was very slow getting out of the theater. If there was ever a fire every one may not get out fast enough

We come to the theatre once a month! We have truly loved each and every show. The venue is beautiful and shows are amazing! We tell EVERYONE we know about the Blue Gate!!

The Amish platter arrived lukewarm and dried out....as if it was sitting on the buffet and put on a plate. Gravy had a skin, and bread, even after asking for it to be warmed, remained cold. We were given a 10% discount, but fell that order should not have been charged. My salad was great, however.

Got to the show a little early, wondered around enjoyed all of the memorabilia on the walls, consumed two bags of Yoder Pop Corn. Really talented warm up act, very much like Pentatonix. Had great seats, on the right isle about 1/3 of the way back, sang Happy Birthday to Jay as he came out on stage, Jay put on a wonderful show. On the way out we ended up parking In the back corner of lot B and still were out of the lot and on our way home in about 5 minutes. Truly a great venue, wonderful show, great experience, will be back.

Really enjoyed the Rhonda Vincent show. The theatre was spotless and there are really no bad seats. The lobby area was very interesting to walk around and see the memorabilia. I highly recommend it.

This event was our first time at The Blue Gate Theatre. The venue was clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed seeing Jay Leno so much. We laughed and laughed!! We will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed the musical and we were glad we were able to see it. The actors and especially the singers were awesome!

Food was great & the venue staff & comedy show were ALL wonderful.
However, there was 1 girl who clean off tables. She banged dishes against a plastic trash can (sounded like base drums!) We couldn't even talk she dud this several times at every table. And she wore an indecent top so her boobs were very exposed and every time she bent over to clean the tables everyone could see past her bra.. boobs hanging out everywhere. Disgusting & not the environment the restaurant portrays.
She was not in the dress code as the Wait Staff.
We ate quickly & left asap.
She ruined our dining experience.

Great venue for lower-key shows. Easy access parking, very cool space with tons of autographed guitars and photos from a myriad of artists, seats were very comfortable, and the sound was excellent. Unless you're way off on the side or in the back corner . . . and even then, just barely . . . there's not a bad seat in the house. We'll definitely be back.

The concerts at The Bluegate Theater have never disappointed us. We are there every month to see at least one concert or more. The productions are always top notch and the staff is always knowledgeable and respectful of people with disabilities.

Great show that really brought back the memories of Conway and Loretta. Their memories growing up with them added so much to the show. It was very entertaining, personal and a great performance.

The only thing I didn't like is I was with older seniors and one had a walker and they wanted me to leave it outside in the hall. I told them I couldn't do that due to some other issues that she has

Perfect theatre for the large crowds and they bring in the most popular and desirable performers to make sure they fill it. Beautiful hotel and restaurant to go with it.

We visted both of the entertainment venues! Wonderful shows, professional staff, clean and inviting envirionment! We saw three shows in the week were were there. None of them disappointed>

The show was superb! Fantastic venue easy access from the blue gate Inn.
The stay at the Inn was very nice however, the Television did not work well even with attempted repair service.
The dinner is not anything I would recommend.

I love the Blue Gate! The venue is large and easy to navigate; the staff is pleasant and helpful. The video screens are large and easy to see all around the auditorium, and the acoustics are amazing. I've seen some of my favorite concerts here, especially Don McLean and the Righteous Brothers. It can take a while to exit both within the building and the parking lot. Everything else is ideal!

Jeff Foxworthy was hilarious!!!! It was our 8th visit this year but first for something other that a musical concert!!!!!

First time to the Blue Gate. Loved looking at all the memorabilia! Staff was polite and friendly. Seats were great. Concert was awesome. Very impressed with your staff!

My wife has Huntingtons disease and was accused of being to drunk in front of a crowd by your security. She was so upset we had to leave. We never got to see the show. 167.00 to be insulted. Never again!!!!

Outstanding show! He’s is an excellent performer & I’m thrilled that I was able to see him in person before his retirement. His music touches memories in my life that I treasure.

My husband arranged a birthday trip to Blue Gate to see CeCe Winans and a stay at the hotel. Both were wonderful! The hotel outside area was wonderful… loved the large firepit & chairs and new friends were made! The ice cream parlor onsite was delicious!

Clint put on a fantastic show. He was very engaging with the audience. Our seats were the best. Have never had a bad time at Blue Gate.

We enjoyed our time together so much at the show. Seats are very comfortable and anywhere you sit you can see very well. Micheal W. Smith brought back so many good memories of his early songs. We are definitely going back late summer to see another show and enjoy Shipshewana area.

We spent 3 days in the Shipshewana area. The countryside is beautiful with well-kept up farms -- very scenic. We love driving thru the countryside around Shipshewana!
At the Blue Gate, we took in the Gaither Vocal Band concert. It was absolutely phenomenal!! Both great entertainment and worship at the same time. The Performance Center is a wonderful venue -- spacious and not a bad seat in the place. The concert was sold out. Then we took in a musical at the Blue Gate Music Theater (the smaller venue). Again, great actors ans singers, making for a delightful musical play.

What a great place! Clean, quiet, spacious, just beautiful. And the Performing Arts Center was fabulous and lent itself very well to the style and personality of Brothers of the Heart.

Loved seeing Chonda. She is a breath of fresh air.Please continue bringing her back. I had excellent seats.

This was the first show, and Little Feat did not disappoint us. Really enjoyed the Themed lobby and all of the courteous staff.

This was our first time visiting this venue and it was a fun time and a great show. Very nice venue to see a concert with lots of cool stuff to look at in the lobby area.

We ate lunch at the restaurant, went to the Hairball concert at the Theater followed by a pizza from the pizzeria while staying at the Inn. Everything was fantastic and will definitely do it all again!!

Hubby and I had a quick getaway for our 41st anniversary, compliments of our daughter who won a silent auction package at our church festival last fall. We chose the Sound over the dry bar comics and were totally moved by them. They too explained how they loved playing there. What a good, clean and wholesome environment. Would love to visit again when we can afford it on our own!

The Jay Leno show was absolutely fantastic! We loved every minute of it of his wit and humor. Everyone who worked at the venue was so kind and polite to make our experience even better!

The content and the actors and dancers did a good job. Now that I've been to the theatre, I realize the best seats are in the center section. I wish our seats had not been on the left side aisle, but I thought it would be easier for my friend who uses a walker to get in and out. Unfortunately, being on the side was not as easy to see the performers who play to the center.

I had a very pleasant afternoon. The buffet food was delicious and the play in the afternoon was wonderful.

Great concert! The Blue Gate Theatre is a super entertainment facility. The staff does a good job handling the crowd. Easy in and out. Hope to be back soon!

We were there for a Michael W Smith concert and had a wonderful time! The lobby is so neat with all the pictures and guitars of stars and celebrities!
We enjoyed the intimate feel of the auditorium!

Rooms very nice and breakfast is great. My only concern is that I'm handicapped, and we were given a room that was a long walking distance from elevator for me and walking for me is very difficult. We will ask for more convenient room to proximity of the elevator on next visit.

The medium sized venu is perfect for this kind of worship experience. The video screens enhanced the visual engagement.

Everything was perfect. The place is beautiful, seats are comfortable, great show! It's so well designed no matter where you sit, you get a great seat.

Shipshewana is a wonderful small town and the Blue Gate Theater is an incredible venue to see musicians and other entertainers. We have a beautiful theater in my hometown that only hosts a fraction of the shows that come to Shipshewana. Shipshewana is a 3-hour drive for me. But, Ive been here before, and I'll be back again. It's definitely worth the drive.

The dinner we had before hand was great, chose to do the buffet. We loved the size of the venue for the play, we could hear and see all that was happening. the play was a musical comedy and had a lot of humor in it. I would say the actors could have rehearsed a little longer as there was some flubbed lines and this was way past the beginning of the run.

We enjoyed this play . The actors were very good. Loved how you did the background when they were traveling. Needed more people taking tickets as there was a long line and we would have been seated faster with two doors opened.

Once again the Blue Gate Theatre delivered a great evening of entertainment. A very nice, small, intimate setting allows for an enjoyable outing. The quality of the actors is top notch and the show writing moved along at a good pace. It is well worth the visit when in Shipshewana.

i have two more shows we want to see and I can't wait we stay in thr super 8 next to your theater. that really helps because we are both 80 years old

Great seats, great sound systems, great atmosphere, GREAT PERFORMANCE BY JOHNNY MATHIS!! I got to see an icon in the industry and I’m thrilled!

Our experience at the Blue Gate was a winning trifecta: excellent staff, pleasant and safe atmosphere, and award-winning professional talent. Blue Gate management is intentional and supportive of their staff/training. Some ushers we chatted with had been serving more than 20 years! That says a lot about administration and environment. We make the Blue Gate a regular part of our summer experience.

I enjoy visiting Shipshewana as often as I can. I LOVE The Blue Gate Theatre and the location directly across the parking lot of the The Blue Gate Inn is just the icing on the cake. They have an enormous selection of entertainment offered for everyone to enjoy! I really like that they offer a light cocktail before the shows. Keep up the fabulous entertainment. I have hosted several bus trips to Shipshewana Blue Gate over the years, and it's always great!
The group sales department is very helpful in planning it and once there, the dining staff was efficient and friendly. The shows are always professionally done and as one person in my group stated, "it's refreshing to see a wholesome show with lots of laughter" Thank you Blue Gate!

The play was so good. It had a great theme and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a nice get away weekend trip for us.

Went to a concert here first time. The theatre was good. Lots of space, we were in the last row but could see very well it’s a smaller venue so it’s easier to get around.
They sold snacks and limited alcoholic beverages. Prices were reasonable for a venue. There was a “family/handicapped” bathroom. Ample free parking if you are handicapped there is a large handicap lot.
Plan on returning and would stay overnight.

We went to see The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as a family and absolutely loved the experience. The theater was comfortable, the seats had a great view from every angle, and the sound quality was excellent-clear and immersive without being too loud. One of the best parts was the convenience of staying at The Blue Gate Inn, which is just across the parking lot. It made the evening so easy and enjoyable. A wonderful night of music, comfort, and memories-we’ll definitely be back!

This was our second experience at the Blue Gate Theatre. We came to see Gene Watson for the second time. We were not disappointed. The venue has great acoustics and seating. We will be visiting again in October to see Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis.

The seats were wonderful, as well as Johnny Mathis! The comedian was terrific! The staff were helpful - long lines for women to go to the restroom! Yikes!

We were there last year to see Emmy Lou Harris and it was wonderful. However when we were there a few weeks ago to see Charlie Crockett it was a different story. I guess I consider the Blue Gate more of an older persons venue, but the young crowd took over that night standing in front of me for the entire concert. There were several of us who only saw the backside of the people in front of us. I didn’t pay a lot of money to stand all night, nor am I capable of that anymore. Maybe you could consider a standing section for the young and a sitting only section for the rest of us and then enforce it.

BlueGate PAC is my favorite venue! Perfect size and comfortable to see excellent, quality entertainment

The Blue Gate Theater is first class facility. They have a big variety of acts and it is no surprise they are rated in the top 5 theaters in the USA.

My wife and I were very much impressed with the theater. Getting in and out of the theater was very easy, the staff remarkably friendly and helpful, and the mementos covering the walls were endlessly entertaining. The arena itself was perfect. The seats exceptionally comfortable, with plenty of leg room and cup holders. We loved the monitors on each side of the stage, which provided close-ups of band members. Absolutely, one of the best venues we've ever visited.

Love the clean family atmosphere they maintain! Will return again and again! Love the bluegrass especially!

Johnny Mathis gave us an amazing show! Johnny, his voice, the song collection was incredible. Brad Upton’s set was hilarious. The humor was so relatable and spot on.
We also enjoyed a delicious meal at the Blue Gate.
All in all, a perfect date night.

Nancy&Ned was just OK, too many directions and not much musical about it. Asked desk upstairs to buy ticket $29.95 as advertised in pamphlet handed out to us for Christmas musical. I had seen online it was $39.95. The girl was RUDE and told me I was on the wrong site. I insisted she look it up and she said, it is $39.95, it is a printing error and you are the first to tell me, I didn't know of this error. She was RUDE, if you advertise something in print, that should be the RATE.

I loved the show! They same songs I remembered and had the audience sing along with them. It was a lot of fun. Lot of baby boomers in attendance

The seating was not as comfortable as we’d hoped but the “cover” band was way too loud. Disappointed that there were no original members of the band and they didn’t play the songs correctly.

We attended a Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo concert in May of 25. What a awesome place! They have signed memorabilia everywhere on the walls, multiple places for snacks and drinks, clean restrooms, and a awesome theater where every seat is a good one. We will be back this year for two more concerts and could be one of my go to places for a intimate concert venue!

The Performing Arts Center has 1500 seats, so it's not too crowded. Seats are big and comfy - lots of legroom. Everything is on one level and easily accessible. The parking is literally right outside the door. Getting out after the concert was painless and easy comparatively - the town rolls up after 5pm, so exiting from this venue after that time creates no stress.

First time seeing them. Had a blast. I been coming there for about three years.Annd will be coming back.

It was my first time in the venue and I am impressed with all the souvenirs along with how clean welcoming it felt. The town is great too. I will return for future concerts and events.

The Sweet Caroline show was wonderful! The BlueGate PAC is a perfect venue. Easy in and out and such a nice area! The restaurant was delicious. We will definitely be back for more shows.

We go to many concerts at the Blue Gate's Performing Arts Center and the little theatre downtown...
The staff is always friendly, efficient and kind! Love that they have home made pretzels in the concession now!! They bring in awesome acts in all genres! It's also family friendly! I recommend the Blue Gate for everyone!

Good times with good friends. Went yo restaurant afterwards. Chicken and noodles were very good.

Hard to get out for handicap people. We sat up close second row. Wife can barely walk. Had to exit in rear at 3 rd set of doors when leaving. Also we didn’t enjoy the show. Left halfway thru it. Had our 9 and 11 yr old grandkids. I’ve seen high school show choirs that were more precise and better choreographed. Disappointed.

All seats are great! The view was awesome no matter where you sit. The front row is very very close to the stage! You may have a hard time if you have neck and back issues

This was our first trip to Shipshewana. When researching things to do, your theatre popped up. We love going to dinner theatres where we are from so I jumped at the chance to see yours. Did not disappoint in any way. The talent you had was incredible. All your staff were so accommodating and friendly. Thank you for giving us such a nice experience. We will be back next year and your theatre will be on our to do list.

The PAC is outstanding. The media,sound and video were perfect. The venue is flawless. However it seemed like the food wasn't as good as it was in the past. Maybe that's because the restaurant wasn't as busy as it was in the past. The breakfast at the hotel was also of lower quality then in our previous visits to the hotel. Again it was not crowded. Switchfoot was the best I've ever seen and heard them perform. It was the 5th time we've seen them.

This place is totally in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act....they took out the drinking fountains and force you to buy a $4 bottle of water. I'm not sure how they can get away with this.

We were really excited to be a part of the ground-breaking TWO-NIGHT Michael W. Smith concert. He's always a fantastic performer, so to see him two nights in a row was just TWICE as fantastic. MWS did admit he himself had no idea what to expect, or even what he was going to do, and we appreciate that it's no easy feat to come up with an entire second concert just for one night. That being said, we were slightly disappointed that he repeated at least 12 songs. That's not how the concerts were being billed. We would have been perfectly happy if, for one of the nights, he just sat at the piano and played, and sang some of his other songs (or played more of his instrumentals) without his band. Perhaps in conjunction with that he could have taken some requests. Like I said, we loved the concept and we loved getting to see two nights of him. We also understand this was an untested idea and, assuming you will try it again in the future, some kinks may need to be worked out. Hopefully my suggestions might provide one way that things could be improved.
The venue itself was wonderful, and we almost felt like we were just hanging out with Michael in his studio, it felt so intimate. It's also a big bonus getting to stay right next door, so we didn't have to deal with any traffic before or after the shows. We love the Blue Gate and we will be back!

Awesome experience! Not a bad seat in the house. Ample parking in a safe parking lot. Shaun played an amazing show, it was a night to remember. Can't wait for Skillet in July!!

The venue is outstanding. Clean. Plenty of parking. Excellent acoustics. Puppy Pal’s Live was just ok. Show was not even close to what we saw on AGT. Our grandkids liked it, but did not love it. I think the show is overstated in the YouTube promotional videos.

Michael W Smith’s concerts at the Blue Gate were fabulous…the concerts, the venue, meals, etc.! Blue Gate is close to many opportunities to enjoy the area, as well. It was a fun time with a long-time friend.

We have seen numerous concerts at the Blue Gate. Seats are comfortable, the layout of the theater is good and sound is good. We drive 200 miles to see the shows here. We already have plans to see other shows.

This was our first time at the Blue Gate and we were impressed. Easy in and out from the parking lot, really smooth ticket lines, but even better, I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. Great show and great facility.

i heard a lot of nice things about Blue Gate from a friend who attends a couple of concerts every year. They have a wide variety of performers, gospel, western, retro, soft rock, tribute bands. But this year they had smooth jazz artists. This theatre did not disappoint. The venue is not small not large. With 300 seat capacity, the seat layout is fanned out, arched like so everyone has a good view. It's clean, employees are friendly and they offer beer, soft drinks, whatever you like.. Only criticism is the temperature within the theatre needs to be a little cooler. Especially on a hot summer day. Overall, ticket prices are reasonable, the seats very comfortable and spaced apart so you can sway back and forth and your not kicking the person in front of you. Plently of leg space. A hidden gem in northern Indiana.

I often take photos at concerts and always research the venue’s policy online to see if I can bring a camera. Upon visiting blue gate website I saw that professional cameras with detachable lenses were prohibited so I chose a camera that did not have a detached lenses so I would be ”legal”. Upon entering the venue the first ticket scanner said I’d have to walk thru the security line to have them look at the camera. The first security person I encountered was unsure if the camera was allowed. I told him I checked the policy online and this camera should be allowed. He called over a supervisor I assume who came up very aggressively and was condescending. I told him as well I checked the website to make sure I could bring it and he wouldn’t even let me finish when he rudely said “I don’t care what you read I said you can’t bring it in….” I was floored. There was no need to cause a scene and to scold me like a child in front of a crowd. I was not trying to cause trouble. I tried to research ahead of time to know I’m following rules. I was embarrassed and subsequently angry. I happen to be good friends with the entire band playing and called one of them to tell them how I was treated. Within less than 2 minutes the head of security came out and found me and apologized and told me I could bring the camera in. I did bring it in but I was still embarrassed and felt that interaction left a sour taste towards the staff.

Very nice performance and the venue was clean and pleasant. Helpful and friendly staff.. The auditorium was filled and seats were very close together. Concerned about getting out safely in case of an emergency.

Great show ! Our whole group loved it. The choreography might be a little toned down but the voices were still fabulous!

The Blue Gate Performing Arts Center is the mist amazing small venue I have been in. Spectacular decor, perfect acoustics, comfortable seating, and free parking. It’s easy to get into and out of. They always have a great lineup of shows.

We took our mom to celebrate here 85th birthday she wanted to see Daniel O’Donnell and she got to meet him and have a picture with him it made her day

The line was very long to get into the theater and moved very slowly. There was one person checking people in and showing them where their seats were. It seems if these two jobs were divided between two people, the line would move much faster. The show started late because of this.

First time at your venue and it was impressive to say the least. Not a bad seat in the house. Well organized and friendly staff. Thanks for the accommodations.

We saw the 60s Revue. It was awesome and we came early to have lunch before the show.

Loved two out of three entertainers. One should quit. I think they had lip sing even👎. The best of coarse was Ronnie Booth and Kim. Can’t compare any to them. They are a blessing.

Not enough restrooms, designed poorly…should have entrance and exit doors in restrooms.
Only 2 Exits out of the theater into lobby🤪, I can only imagine what would happen if their was an emergency and everyone had to exit quickly.

We loved the 1964 Beatles tribute band. We felt we went back in time. They were a lot of fun! We were there for my 65th birthday and they were a great part of the trip.

This unassuming spot from the outside leads to a most comfortable and awesome experience inside. Not going to lie, when we pulled up, we thought we were in the wrong place. It is so deceiving! But inside you will find the friendliest staff, adorable lobby and plenty of super cool seating pub tables with screens everywhere to not miss out on what’s happening on stage. The place is immaculate! Even the bathrooms were spotless and - have the concert playing in there so as not to miss a note in case you made a long roadtrip and were interested in hearing the opening band playing but needed a visit before the main show!
Not a bad seat in the house! Intimate, great large screens on either side of stage and the sound doesn’t blow your head off while still being at a real concert. This was a most enjoyable, easy and entertaining venue and I will gladly go back again.

Concert was great. The seating was wonderful and was able to view the stage and performers well. I had heard that the venue was good and that there were no bad seats and once there we agreed. We also stayed at the Blue Gate Garden Inn and it was also excellent.

My first time for being at the Blue Gate. We got the buffet VIP package. The buffet was mediocre at best, but I will not hold it against the venue, as it is not even at the same address which did not seem to be communicate in the emails from what I read. Maybe it was hidden somewhere, but still not going to hold against the venue.

The venue was clean. The employees were nice and helpful. Although we had pretty close seats, the way that they are situated it does not look like there even is a bad seat in the house. The show was the Gin Blossoms and the sound was great as was their performance.

I do suggest trying this place out for a night out on the town to be entertained. It may not be the United Center, but I think it was charming, and overall a great experience.

The concert was great. I bought the tickets on the Blue Gate web site. There was a bit of a learning curve but all went well. I felt the service charges were excessive.

We had good seats, didn’t have to wait to get in and once again Crowder didn’t disappoint even with a broken leg.

We loved the show. The entertainers were awesome and the sound there is phenomenal. Personally, I would skip adding the buffet. Both times we've been to a show we had to worry about printing the tickets for the buffet and then make sure we didn't lose them. This last time, we paid for the buffet for everyone and didn't even eat there because we didn't print one of the tickets. Just a mess. Do the show, skip the buffet.

The theater seat I sat in was the most uncomfortable seat I have ever had to endure. Felt like I was sitting on two rocks. I am sure the musical revue was very good but being so uncomfortable ruined it for me.

We loved him. The auditorium was fantastic, seats comfortable, and big screens added great visibility. Loved the easy scan to enter for free tickets. He said hello to my mom 92. She loved it. A lady fell in front of us. We helped her an security was there quick. Hope she's ok.

This is probably the last time we will attempt to see a show at the Bluegate. We have been to several performances over the years and the shows seem to just get hokier. The dialog was very predictable and not funny. Sorry, we think this was a dud.

We were with a relative in a wheelchair. The staff was respectful, kind, and helpful. We love that the Blue Gate is place where they understand that life is hard enough for a handicapped person. Thank you all for making our evening out so joyful. God bless and keep you all!

We took our two young daughters to see When Calls the Heart...a series they have loved watching...and it was amazing. We were able to sit in the front row of this smaller venue but it was very warm and inviting almost like we a part of it an they girls just loved it! It was such a Wonderful Show! Amazing Experience!

Ned and Nancy Sees America. The show was very good and we enjoyed it. theater got a little warm with so many people setting so close together otherwise we enjoyed the experience.
We had dinner in restaurant on main floor the Service was great. we had the sampler dinner with chicken roast beef and meatloaf with mash potato dressing green beans. everything was good. Except the meatloaf it tasted terrible. Would have liked to see more sugar free pies & cake on the desert menue for people to chose from.

My wife has a pain stimulator and can not go through metal detectors the security guy tried to force her through it the why I was wait for them to figure it out another security guy made a smart comment as he was standing by me then when he realized I was her husband started arguing with me

My only complaint with Blue Gate ever, is the added on service fee to the ticket prices. If the ticket is going to cost $46.00 then list that. Not that it cost 35 and then there all the fees added. Very frustrating for many of us.

I went to the BONEY JAMES concert on 6.11.25 at the Blue Gate Theatre, I never attended a concert there, but I would go again, GREAT VENUE, not a bad seat in the theatre. BRING MORE SMOOTH JAZZ.

Blue Gate Theatre continues to offer top quality entertainment for the best prices anywhere. Both the PAC and the Music Hall are beautiful and comfortable. Has become our favorite venue!

I was denied access to my apple juice that was in my purse in case my glucose levels were to drop as I'm a type 1 diabetic. I told security that I had it and was told that I needed to take it back to my car or throw it away. I would have to purchase something from the concession stand if my glucose dropped! It was completely unacceptable and a clear violation of my ADA rights!

Have stayed here multiple times for this event and the Blue Gate always goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is perfect. Every employee, from front desk to housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance are friendly and extremely helpful. Look forward to our visit from Central PA each year.

Wish they had played a bit longer for the price we paid, but we enjoyed it. The venue itself was very nice and the sound was good.

This concert was one we had looked forward to for a long time. It was our first time to see them and we absolutely loved it!

Guitars overpowered the voices in faster songs. Suits and ties doing Eagles music? My party (7) occupied two rows. The lady to the left of us smelled strongly of stale urine. If you don’t already, please ad a pre-show note to ticket buyers to make sure personal hygiene is addressed.

So many shows to chose from! We saw Ned and Nancy See America. Not a bad seat in the theater. Make sure you do the show and buffet combo, So worth it! I can't wait to go back again. They have 2 venues, one for plays or musicals and another for concerts.

Fun venue. I was a little concerned with the only exits I could see being out the back. And our show had some technical issues with the sound. Plus it started a bit late, probably because parking might have been an issue. Acoustics were great though. I wish the seats weren't so far over and more towards the middle. Can't change that now obviously. This venue was 3 hrs from my home and I have other venues closer by. I only attended this time for this tour because the other dates on the tour didn't work out. I will only return if I go with a friend and if for a very special occasion. I'm glad northern Indiana has a decent venue though.

Very clean and employees are helpful and friendly. Easy to see and hear the entertainment. And, prices are very reasonable.

My wife and I recently visited for 2 nights for the Brothers of the Heart concerts. We had a package deal that included 2 nights of the concert which was separate set lists each night, a buffet dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant on the first night, 2 nights lodging and 2 breakfast buffets for each of us. Our room was spacious and beyond our expectations. All staff was extremely nice and accommodating. All our food was superb. We even ate lunch at the Blue Gate restaurant on Thursday though not included in our package. We will definitely be back again and will be telling others.

We went to see the Oakridge Boys and the the show was great, just like all the shows the Bluegate puts on. The staff is friendly and always willing to help if you need it. We would recommend the Blue Gate Theatre to everyone.

The artists, sound mixing, seats and staff are all first rate. It remains our first choice where to see live music.

We saw Pat Benatar and Blue Gate is a fantastic place to see a concert, very intimate setting. Spend some time looking around at the memorabilia on the walls, this place is a treasure!

The show was fantastic. If I'd closed my eyes, I would've thought I was at a performance of the actual stars. We'll definitely be going again. We also enjoyed talking to them after the show. We had a wonderful time !!

Once again, the Blue Gate Music Hall went above and beyond my expectation!! We saw the Salute to the Stars with Elvis, Kenny and Dolly. They did such an amazing job, and it felt like they were the real stars! There's not a bad seat in the house and the sound is incredible. I highly recommend it!

Having been here in the past for concerts, I knew what to expect, but once again the complete professionalism and perfect seating helped us enjoy another wonderful experience at the Blue gate Theatre. Going back again for another concert soon. I can see why this has been voted the Country's best music venue under 2,000 capacity.

Man in black was an entertaining tribute to Johnny Cash but the show lasted less than 2 hrs, this was the shortest concert I have ever attended and we came from out of town and got a room for the night and we're disappointed with 2 hrs of entertainment

Outstanding. A unique songlist for each day has never been done by any of my favorite performers, not even #1 Daniel O'Donnell. All 3 of us rated this concert experience at Blue Gate one of our best ever.

A wide variety of artists with clear views of the performers and great sound, without being overpowering. However, if you sit on the sides, you will not see back wall projections.

It is so pleasant to have dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant, watch entertainers at the theater and spend the night in a Blue Gate hotel room. It feels like a mini vacation. This was our 4th visit.

The venue was wonderful as always. Parking was easy, ease of entry, friendly staff and helpful. The concert was fantastic.

Great venue, easy entry into the show, very comfortable seating and friendly staff. The performance by Daniel O'Donell was on time and more than I expected. I definitely would return to the Bluegate for another concert in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed the concert. The acoustics were great and show got better and better as they went on. All the people at the Theater, very polite and accommodating.

Theater is very accessible. Has lots of parking. Every seat has excellent view of the stage. Staff very friendly. Snacks available for purchase in lobby. For those on cane or walker, its very easy to navigate. I highly recommend this venue. We loved it.

We saw Jay Leno at the Blue Gate Theater. The venue was sold out and there wasn’t a bad seat in the auditorium. (Spoken by someone who sat in the Z aisle.) We opted for the buffet prior to the show and the food was excellent too. Jay was non stop hilarious. Remarkable how he can remember his 90 minute + monologue so well. It’s healthy to step outside of the negativity life can thrust at us and realize how good it is to laugh together. To exchange smiles and just be human. Very good evening. The opening group was excellent as well!

Easy to find location, plentiful parking, comfortable seats, excellent restrooms with many available.

Dinner was very good although not as good as in previous years. The show was OK but again not one of the best shows nor one that I would recommend. We came as a group of seniors from our church.

WOW! This was our first concert at Blue Gate Theater and we were truly impressed with the outstanding facility! I don't believe there is a bad seat in the place! Seats were very comfortable and not the typical squeeze tight fit at most venues! We will be attending many more events here! A++

Heard good things about this theater. We had been to Shipshewana before and had eaten at their excellent buffet, but we did not know about the theater until some friends told us. Would do it again if in the area. Worth the drive.

When attending an EVENT at the PAC or Music Hall, The Blue Gate has a drawing to award two free tickets, be sure to enter. after 30+ years of entering, I finally WON. Some people win the first time and you may too.

The good: quality national acts; friendly staff; wide seats; plentiful free parking; scenic drive. The bad: distractingly bottom-heavy audio mix for the entire show. Will keep an eye out for other acts I want to see who make a stop here.

Took my mom up there to see Daniel O’Donnell the second time everyone was very nice and courteous. The one security guard took my mom’s gift for Danielle and said he will not be coming into the crowd so she could give it to him and of course he did come down to the crowd like always. The guard could have been a little less aggressive I mean these are are a bunch of older ladies on cloud 9

The show was Great! Much better than expected. Being close tp the hotel was a plus. If there would have been another show the next day, we would have attended as well!

It’s always a nice, clean, friendly atmosphere and we’ll be back in two weeks with our son that has never been here before.

Great performance. Been to Blue Gate numerous times. For a place as bug as blue gate making as much money as they make, one would think they could provide decent Wi-Fi. It completely sucks o side that building

The people in this small town are so kind. Hospitality is top notch at Blue Gate/ Shipshewana! The musical was very nice and the actors even did a meet and greet in the lobby after the show. The bakery and restaurant on the premises were fantastic and they had a lovely buffet or you could choose a menu option as well. The streets do sort of “roll up” early so if you don’t want a romantic evening or have a good book, you should make plans for somewhere else that stays open later. There are shows at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center, but it’s still very quiet around here if there’s no show during the evening.

The play was grerat and all of the staff were great and very helpful. I was very blessed to win the daily prize. We look forward to coming back in September.

I was actually disappointed in this show. It was billed as a comedy but the last 3 scenes ruined it for us. Maybe I didn't read things closely enough but when you're expecting a comedy you don't want to see/hear about a best friend dying and then oh wait, my wife's only at the store.
We enjoyed our meal and the show up to the class reunion scene but I won't recommend this show.

Love Bluegate and they put on excellent shows!
It was confusing though with the show Ned and Nancy see America. The show was not at the new theatre as we found out once we parked, walked etc., but rather at the location where your restaurant was. We got there on time and all but I think the name should identify location better. Such as Bluegate theatre at restaurant, or Bluegate performance (new location) . The seating at the restaurant location is all level not tiered so if someone tall is in front of you its hard to see.
Again, only a suggestion to better designate locations.

I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. We had a wonderful time. My only small complaint would be the lack of a real mixed drink. Not just wine based stuff

Not a bad seat in the theatre. Good sound system. One of our favorite places to see a show. Famous pretzels too.

It was an awesome concert! We really liked our seats and the additional displays made it most enjoyable. The music was very enjoyable and their rendition of How Great Thou Art was very moving. An ideal location for the theater to be next to hotel.

The Blue Gate has become a quick family favorite! There are SO many different varieties of shows/artists. We have yet to be disappointed.
And they’re right…the pretzels don’t need cheese 😊

Came to the Brothers of the Heart concert. Theatre was amazing, concert was well done! Seats were awesome and it was set up very nicely to meet the artists. We will be back for future concerts! Thank you for an amazing visit!!

We were there just one day. However we did enjoy ourselves. We like to take weekend trips. Looking forward to do more trips like this in the near future.

First time visiting the Blue Gate. Venue is excellent. Easy in/out parking, The theatre itself is very beautiful with comfy seats and an intimate vibe. Amenities are great - plenty of restrooms and refreshment options.

Such a great stay while we created family memories with our brother and sister in law. We booked our stay to accommodate our plans to see “The Steeldrivers “ at the Blue Gate auditorium next door. The venue was conveniently located within walking distance to the hotel. Breakfast was amazing!

This was a overnight get away. Stayed at the hotel and went to a very good country music concert on Saturday night. The hotel offered a excellent breakfast Sunday morning before we left. Enjoyed our trip and concert and will come back again.

It is always a great show at the Bluegate, we try to see a show at least once a month, Great seats and always friendly staff

I love Daniel, have been going to his concerts for over 25 years. Was looking so forward to this show; however, I was ill and was not able to attend this concert. I was looking forward to it, but just could not make it. Hopefully I will be able to attend the next time he is at Bluegate. I also really missed not able to eat at the buffet. I know it is always good. Thanks for asking, you always are very polite and helpful! I have been there several times and wil come agin!

Went to see the oak ridge boys it was a great show the theater was really nice and so was the staff. Have been here several times before

sum it up in one word WOW One of the very BEST concerts we have ever attended. acoustics are so great at this venue. not a bad seat in the house. we did the dinner also - excellent food. highly recommend for anyone

First time attending a concert here, and hopefully not my last! Attended the Shaun Cassidy concert in November. Not a bad seat in the house! This gem of a venue is conveniently located less than 2 hours away straight down US131. 10/10 would do again!

We saw Jeff Foxworthy last weekend and that was 100% the best comedy I have ever seen!! The Blue Gate knows how to get great entertainment for all ages! We love going to the Blue Gate!

We saw Ned and Nancy See America! Who would have thought that an RV trip with two senior citizens could be a musical, but let me tell you, it was one of the best musicals I have seen. It had humor, laugh your butt off humor! It had drama, sadness, couples finding a whole new kind of love in their golden years and even informed through song how to Boondocks at a Walmart parking lot (but you'll have to look that up)! Come see it! It was Amazing!! Oops and the cast was simple MAGNIFICENT!! So few making such a production happen...you are the BEST!!

People were attentive and helpful. Facility was very clean and free breakfast appreciated. Will definitely stay again.
