Visited on a Monday-Tuesday. Monday was off and on rain showers most of the day but despite the rain, rides still ran. The rain kept the crowd away. Rode every single coaster and many of them multiple times. Didn’t even have a fast pass. It is a very nice park. It is extremely clean and landscaped beautifully. Stayed at Lighthouse Point in a cottage. Didn’t like that the refrigerator was a mini fridge. The set up of the cottage wasn’t the greatest. The view was nice. The cottage was clean. The staff at check in was rude. Our cottage wasn’t ready at 4 the day we checked in but they were in a hurry to get us out of there the day of our departure. Cleaning crew showed up to clean while we were still packing up and it was way before 11. The restrooms at the pool at Lighthouse Point were disgusting.

My family visited Cedar Point on a day when the park was not very busy. The lines for the coasters were only half full but we still waited 90-120 minutes each ride. They were intentionally not running all the trains on the coasters, which made the wait time much longer than it needed to be. Why not run all the trains on the coasters all the time? It shouldn't matter if the ride lines aren't completely full. My family only got to ride 5 coasters that day. We could have rode twice as many had they been using all the trains on the coasters.

I've been to many amusement or theme parks and this one is very difficult to beat with its variety and lineup. The staff was pleasant, the place was very clean and everything was in good order, the food offerings were good, but not incredible. I wish there was more trees, greenery and landscape in general, more shaded areas as well, there was so much concrete and asphalt. This is an amusement park and not a theme park, it is not charming or themed very much, it's no Dollywood or Busch Gardens, but that's ok, this is a roller coaster destination! The best coasters are MF, Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Gatekeeper and Valravn. Millennium Force is incredible, its speed, height and smoothness is incomparable, it's been the #1 & #2 roller coaster in the world more than any other since 2000, and I must agree. MF is a landmark coaster and people from everywhere around the world come here for it and now I know why, plus the rides at night are out of this world. I love you MF!

On this trip there was myself, my wife, and our 9 year old daughter. It was our first trip to Cedar Point and it was very good. My daughter loves rollercoasters and just hit 54.5 inches tall so she was able to ride them all. We were there for two days. The first day we did not have fast lane. The second day we did fast lane plus and although, in my opinion any way, it costs a lot it ended up being worth it.

We went twice once for each boy's birthday. June 5th, a lot of the restaurants were closed. If we had known that, we would not have spent a lot of money on the dining pass. On July 9th, we were happy to see most of the restaurants open. The only ride listed as down was Top Thrill 2. Unfortunately steel vengeance, the ferris wheel, and all water rides were shut down. The shops in frontier town were not open on 7/9, they were open on our previous trip. If they would have listed on their website about the closures, we would have gone to Michigan's adventure instead. But again, the only thing listed was top thrill 2 as being closed. I sent them an email about our experience.I did not ask for anything.I just wanted them to know how disappointed we were and that we had really saved up for this experience for both our boys. They sent me a code to get free fast pass single use vouchers. That's a big "no thank you" to spend another small fortune to skip the line, which I don't agree with anyhow.

Cedar Point was better than I remember. A great clean park with an amazing assortment of roller coasters. The staff seemed happy and having fun dispatching trains in a timely manner which does their part to minimize lines.

My experience was awesome! There was a couple things that disappointing though. For example, the pipe scream was closed. The wait of wild mouse was 1 hour and 30 minutes. I know that ride is popular and usually busy, but the line was really long. The Gemini broke down for about 15-20 minutes , but it was up and running again soon after. The sky ride was not the best. Other than that it was pretty good! The Gemini, wild mouse, iron dragon, wind seeker, the monsters, gatekeeper, and other was super fun and staff for the gatekeeper was nice. The wait for the Gemini was only 15 minutes which was not bad. Also, a little tip is when you are riding Gemini is to push back when you go back to the station because it stops really hard. My cedar point experience was great, food was great ( I highly recommend the pizza. ) Awesome experience!

Probably the most poorly run park we have ever visited. From beginning to end our day was absolutely horrendous. We waited in line for an hour just to get into the park. No direction from staff to let people know there was a second security line open. None of the wait times were accurate. We waited a minimum of three times longer than each of the posted wait times. Told we had to get a locker ($15 for 3 hours) even though there are bins for belongings at every ride. Every line has multiple mist fans set up but none of them are running on a 90 degree day. Staff are not helpful whatsoever. Any question asked was answered with “I don’t know”. A storm shut the park down for a couple of hours, which they obviously can’t control. However, once the storm passed there was no information regarding when the rides would reopen or if they would reopen at all. We waited in line for 45 minutes for a ride to open before they made an announcement that the ride was down due to mechanical issues, not weather. Most of the rides, including covered rides, did not reopen after the storm passed. Our last ride of the night had a posted wait time of 20 minutes…we made it close to the front an hour and a half later where we watched 8 FULL RIDES of Fast Lane guests go through before we moved another step. Heading to the exit there were areas I had to use my phone to light the path because we were walking in complete darkness. We got on 4 rides in 12 hours of being at the park. FOUR. $216 for tickets, another at least $200 on overpriced disgusting food. Hours wasted in lines for three different coasters that broke down before we made it to the front. I could expand on our terrible experience but this was our day in a nutshell . Awful. Just awful.

Absolutely terrible. Bugs everywhere, nothing open. We were given no tops for our drinks and bugs repeatedly flew into said topless drinks. Also the bathrooms were completely covered in dead bugs.

We were there with a group on a mid-May Saturday and all of the most world-famous rides were closed the entire day for high winds, the other rides had lines of 2+ hours (or you could pay extra to skip the line), and the food lines were an hour long. The only things that didn’t have long lines were the lines for $15 beers. Which I wanted after a long day of doing very little here.

I alway gave such a great time at Cedar Point. It remind me of when I was a kid. We always use to go we made sure to make it there at least one time a year. I didn’t ride to many rides at first but I sure let started… a great place to make family memories and now it’s my turn.

I’ve been coming to Cedar point for almost 20 years now - since I was a kid. It’s always been a great park and a good time.
The prices have gone up considerably if you want to stay at one of the hotels, and food prices etc have also gone up …… instead of a hidden gem it’s now a big park.
Every year I go with friends - between 10 and 20 of us. We spend around $7k per family and it’s a great kick off to our summer. This will be the last year
- Main reason is that most of the coasters were closed for maintenance, closed indefinitely (top thrill) or broke down many times throughout the day. This resulted in over $1k in wasted past pass plus costs, long waits in the heat and overall unhappy children and guests.
Most of us drove 7+hrs and agreed the park is notably worse now than it was even a year ago. If you live close - get a season pass and risk it. If it’s a travel destination….. I would pass.
We’re going to another park in TN next year that is much cheaper, cleaner and never seems to have rides that are down.

While the rides are enjoyable and dining packages at the amusement park offer good value, the overall cost is steep for many families. We went last Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we found that with regular admission passes, we struggled to experience more than ten rides in a full day. To enhance our son's experience on Friday, we opted for fast passes at $209 each, in addition to the admission fees. Although this allowed us to enjoy more rides, the total expenses for four people—including food and drinks—exceeded $1,000 for just that day. It's no surprise that Cedar Point/Six Flags are facing financial losses this year; the steep prices likely play a significant role in deterring visitors.

We went to see the haunted houses. I appreciate that you can see so many attractions in one night. I highly recommend spending the extra money for fast passes to the night time attractions and buy them early on line. It is much more expensive to buy tickets at the park.
I didn’t feel that Cedar Point put enough thought into their scares this year. It was underwhelming and the same layouts as previous years. There are so many things available with electronics that visually it was very boring. Their scares were people popping up or getting in your face, which both are overrated.
The food was gross at the new Smoke House. What they put on your plate for 20 dollars does not fill up an adult! You get four small stripes of steak, two drum sticks, or one sausage with a side. Pie was 7 dollars a slice. I did enjoy the new funnel, elephant ears, or French doughnut shop. There was a lot of chaos with workers in this shop, needed more people making not talking. The nighttime alcoholic drinks are fun to try, but you won’t get drunk on any of them. The only one that has a kick is 24 or a beer. Both shows at The Palace and Red Garter where excellent. Be thoughtful on where you sit at the Palace, overpacked and fire exits where blocked by chairs. To many people allowed to go up on the second floor.
It is still my favorite park for roller coasters. There are more clean hotels right on the causeway to choose from! Recommend staying overnight close to park.

It is very fun! The rides are thrilling and the maverick is so fun!! The restaurants are so good. They have a thing called halloweekends and they have people dressed up to scare you, you should go to Cedar Point!!!

My fiance and I went to cedar point with some friends recently. Have been to cedar point before and usually have an excellent experience. This time however, I was appalled. The unprofessionalism of the steel vengeance ride staff was disgusting. My fiance, myself and our friends waited in line over two hours, even through a shut down of a ride, to have them embarrass my fiance. No compromise or solution was offered. Cedar point needs to teach their staff some compassion, decorum, and how to solve a problem professionally and in the best interest of the customer.

My friend and I took our two teenage sons for a day of fun at Cedar Point. We drove 3 hours from the Pittsburgh area. We left at 6am and arrived at 9 am. We picked up tickets, parking pass, and drink vouchers at the Cedar Point Express Hotel which took just a few minutes. We arrived at the park entrance and was able to scan the parking pass and got through quickly. We were able to enter the park an hour before because we stayed at the Cedar Point hotel. We went through the ticket line very quickly and picked up fast lane passes at a kiosk. I purchased ours online. The kids rode every rollercoaster at the park and never waited more than 30 minutes. They were even able to ride several again. They loved Steel Vengence. It is expensive, but we made the most out of our one day trip. We stayed until 10 pm. The hotel is just a few miles from the park which was great after a long day. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very helpful.

Insane to me that a billion dollar doesn't have the functionality to process a gift card online. Cedar point is running a holiday special on admission tickets and you can only use gift cards in person at the park. Seems like a major flaw so this review is for everyone to beware of buying gift cards from this company.

If you do not want to ride the rides but want to stand in line with friends or significant other do not go to this park.
Stood in line for Iron Dragon with fiance who wanted to stand in line with me but did not want to ride. When we got to the front they would not let her cross over the ride to wait at the exit, they wanted her to walk back through the entire entrance line to get back to the exit.
When we explained she was pregnant and claustrophobic and this was a safety hazard they did not care and proceeded to call security and detain us. We promptly left the park after speaking with guest services which where no help and even more rude. Will not be going back, even though the rides are great.

Cedar point t is great, they really invested in making quality restaurants, and the show Wake The Dead was awsome, tight impressive choreography in a limited space. ActorsVocalists, dancers made for a great show as well as the sing along possibilities. 50 yo so I can recomend this to all ages. The park has something for everyone

We have been visiting Cedar Point for many years, and it has always been wonderful.
Suddenly this year things are not so great. We have experienced very large crowds, very long lines for the rides, more expensive food and drinks. It is also very difficult to even find free water….which in the summer heat is vital and should be readily available. We always buy a season pass, but probably won’t do so again. I’m afraid that the merger with Six Flags has really changed the local culture of this wonderful park.

Overall good experience but I feel the need to clarify some things for people who might be purchasing the bundles. I bought the Max Bundle for approximately $100. This included the premium meal plan with drinks, a ticket, parking, access to the lounge, and the photo pass. First off, I think this was a good value especially if you were planning on spending and entire day at the park, however as far as the food goes be aware that not everything on the menus in the various places is part of the deal. We at at Chickie and Pete's and I believe there were 5 items to choose from. Happily I got the cheesesteak which was on the list and was very good. I also want to say with the heat on July 4th it was fantastic to have the drink add on with this bundle and we definitely took advantage of it. Here is where some of the issues start. The photo pass is only worth it if you are planning on going on the biggest, fastest and more famous rides. We didn't manage to get a single photo during our day. It states that there will be people walking around taking photos, there were not. I even went on the Iron Dragon Roller Coaster in the hopes of getting a photo but that wasn't daring enough. For me it was actually too daring and it just made me sick. Kudos to the Cedar Point First Aide team who gave me a Dramamine which allowed me to feel well enough to drive home. In any event I would skip the photo thing, totally not worth it. I had no intention of using the lounge but after coming off the ride that made me sick, the lounge proved to be a blessing. Was able to collect myself and make my way to first aide. If you are a thrill ride person Cedar Point can't be beat, but I am not and I would have been better off trying the tamer things. It is my own fault I was sick after the ride but I was really disappointed in the photos. Just wanted to make people aware who might want to capture a special event. This was my wife's first time at Cedar Point and I hoped to capture some memories.

The good: Park is clean, conveniently located if you stay on the grounds, staff was friendly, prices were typical for theme parks, rides are awesome with plenty to choose from for all ages.
The bad: rides break often, the wait times vary from 10 min to 90 min. Be ready for long lines for the 4 better roller coasters, the park is bigger than most people realize.
Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

I would caution grandparents. I hosted our three children and their children this weekend. At each entry over the four days of our visit security “flagged” my family, denying them access to the park, the water park, and Fast Lane. It was really frustrating. My three kids and their families were told the fact that I bought their tickets meant I had to go to the gate to prove their tickets were valid. I am so disappointed.

The roller coasters are good if they are up and running. Not sure why maintenance checks are not performed until after the parks are already open. We stayed at Hotel Breakers to get the early hour before the park opens to the public, worthless when none of the roller coasters are open. Suck it up and pay for the Express Fast Pass or you will spend most of your day standing in line. Some rides never open until 11 am. The newer Boardwalk area is nice, but other areas of the park look tired and in desperate need of deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint.

Family of four with grandparents loved the family friendly parade at 700pm. A dozen floats, lots of singers and performers, on stilts, in costume. Watch them first near the Gatekeeper then as soon as the parade passes you go to the midway, maybe right in front of Cedar Downs where the parade stops and performs some more. A chance for the kids to get out and dance with performers too! Then when the performance ends streamers fly all over the place and all the kids love picking up the streamers as a souvenir.
Very tasteful, family friendly. Seems like ALL ages were enjoying it.
Check it out yourself when you visit this summer, especially if you have kids with you!

The lines are ridiculously long so for another $110 each you can get fast pass. Alot of ancillary upsales- Buying a ticket is just the beginning. The food is terrible and the restaurants that take the dining package are herding cows through a crappy buffet with nowhere to sit. Drinks are ridiculous $6 so definitely get a drink package. Everything costs $$ after in the park. So budget about triple what you paid for entry per person- Definitely not great for kids that don’t ride rollercoasters-

This is my expense sheet from Saturday.
$1500 in Fastlane plus. (Which you charge extra for, and those rides never run)
$275 in bring a friend passes
$385 in all day dining plans
4 free bring a friend, that were basically wasted.
It gets worse every time we go.
all paid for by My wife and so our family could come enjoy the day. We had to leave early because of the power going out. 4 attempts at TT2 all failed Millennium force never even opened. Sirens curse down and up all day long.
If I ran my business this way, I would not have one. It's shameful
I am posting my experience at google, yelp, Trip advisor. What's sad is that I have sent clients here. Not doing that anymore either.
Ridiculous.
I am also going to file a consumer affairs complaint as well. I have had enough, and I keep getting my passes renewed.
No more.

The experience was great. I have gone 4 times now and it's always a blast. I would have given a higher rating but this last time I went, it took a hour and a half to leave the park. I walked out of the park entrance at 7:45 but wasn't able to leave the parking lot until 9:32. I feel like there could be a better way to organize it, but all in all, a great weekend trip.

Not the same as last year. TOMO was great but that was about it!
The beach had no more NIGHT TIME PARTY, no more fire pits & the beach
was raked out 1 time in our 4 day stay?!?!
I guess the short staffing is to blame?
No discounts though.
WE received 2 "discounts tied to our season passes" via E-MAIL
but could not cash them in. Don't Know what's going on but the system is not
in sink with the park internet ???!!

The best roller coasters in the US, maybe the world? It's an excellent park when everything is going well. I would have given it an excellent, but when my friend and I were there, their lockers at Steel Vengeance broke, and we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to get our stuff.
London and Allie (employees at Steel Vengeance) suggested we just come back at close because getting the lockers open would require them to shut down the entire ride. I said, "okay, I need my stuff." They eventually had to do just that after HUNDREDS of people ended up waiting for their stuff from the broken lockers that Allie admitted she may have messed up earlier that morning.
Anyway, goofy customer service aside, CP is great!

Very bad experience this trip and seems to be going downhill each time. Bought the Fast Pass Plus and even the rides that were on it got continuously shut down. The Maverick was advertised on the Fast Pass wristband but was shut down various times for maintenance ON opening weekend, as well as the Millennium, Steel Vengeance, Valravn, the Gypsy, the Carousel, and the Iron Dragon. The Dragster was also permanently closed but that was expected. Regardless of any complications of the bad weather during the week (I took the trip on the weekend and the weather was phenomenal), they had plenty of time to prepare for opening weekend, or should not advertise it at all. The only meal I bought there was chicken tenders, fries, and 2 waters and my total was twenty-nine dollars. Adding on, multiple stores and kiosks were closed due to them being short staffed, which is not their fault but should definitely lower the cost of the experience. The cherry on top was when my boyfriend and I asked the line manager if we could get out of line to use the restroom quickly. The lady said we were allowed, but when we got back in line with our 10 other friends that stayed, we had security come up to us and ask for our names, age, phone number, email, AND address due to someone reporting us for line cutting. We asked why they needed all of that information and tried not to give it, since we did not tell the lady who let us use the restroom as much as our name, and they said that they needed to do a “private investigation background check” when it could’ve easily been resolved by just talking to the line manager— by far the most astonishing experience of the day. Cedar Point is a very fun place, but seems to be taking advantage of the popularity and just eating your money.

Incredible roller coasters. My family all agrees that Steel Vengence surpassed Dollywood's Lightning Rod, as the best coaster in America. However, like it or not, you are paying for this and a few other coaster experiences. Food quality is much better than most parks and I would say that this park's food plan actually can save you a few dollars--compared to previous experiences in which I roll my eyes concerning: "the savings."
For the most part, this is a resort style complex. It's not a one day event for regulars. Instead, it's a destination spot for a few days. So, of course, EVERYTHING tends to be expensive and be prepared for this--which also means, you probably won't have much fun, unless you fork over the dough for fast passes.
If you don't wish to pay the extra money, then go to a good quality smaller park--there are several just a few hours away in PA. However, if you want a coaster resort experience without going to Florida, Cedar Point lives up to the fame!

This place is so fun. My partner and I went straight there from Chicago. We spent 4 hours there. They were celebrating the 151st anniversary of the park. We had an overall good time. the only problem we had was my partner could not fit in some of the ride vehicles.

park was nice and clean, wait times for the rides we wanted to go on were very short. Value for the price was fair. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the extras, frontier area and attractions, Small animal petting area, glass blowing presentation.

Couldn’t get I until 2 Pm, wife and friends got in line for first roller coaster Steel Vengeance immediately and didn’t get out until 7pm, then we left. They all got Covid in line. While waiting for 5 hours with the baby, I tried clang as it started getting cold and I just wanted to leave, but the staff had confiscated all cell phones from the line and so I could not reach them. Then the staff refused to locate my wife or let me find her. During this horrible experience I waited 2 hours for a corn dog, the batter inside wasn’t even cooked all the way. This place was absolutely hands down the worst place to spend over $200… and I’m telling you it hasn’t always been this way, I’ve been coming here for over 40 years, I’ll NEVER go back

The fast pass lane was poorly managed throughout our visit. We paid a lot of money for the fast pass. The wait should never be over 20 minutes for the price we pay. If the fast pass wait becomes longer then 20 minutes, then more people need to start getting filed through faster on the fast pass vs the general line, or cedar point needs to limit how many can have to fast pass to ensure, in fact, it is fast, hence the name. Two lines specifically were managed very poorly, the raptor by Drew, and the millennium force. I spoke to a worker regarding to how poorly the raptor was being managed and he said yes it is getting managed poorly, the general line was actually moving quicker which should never happen. I spoke to Drew who was managing the fast pass and immediately he got defensive and said he’s been working at cedar point for 6 years and knew what he was doing. In addition, they shut down the raptor to search for someone’s missing article. This should never ever happen. There are signs everywhere stating to secure your items and lost items are lost and will not be found. We had to wait for 15 minutes on the stopped cart on the track while they looked for this lost article. For the millennium force, again the general line was moving faster, a supervisor actually stepped in and told the employee to let more people with a fast pass through because the fast pass line was taking longer. I should never pay as much as I did for a fast pass and have to wonder if entering the general line would be the better option. I should not have to talk to several employees during the day asking why the fast pass line is being poorly managed. Employees should be better trained how to manage the fast pass line. Ultimately, the fast pass line should never take more then 20 minutes, and many lines during our visit did in fact, take over 20 minutes including the raptor, millennium force, and steel vengeance. I hope this is taken seriously and in the future this is fixed.

I have been visiting Cedar Point for the past 54 years and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. The general maintenance of the park is in decline. Five of the largest rides were shut down for the full day. Light bulbs burned out on rides and buildings. Many rides and buildings in need of fresh paint. Concessions closed or understaffed. Only pointing these things out in hopes that they can be improved before Cedar Point turns into a typical Six Flags Park.

Cedar Point is the best place on earth, hands down. I grew up coming here most summers and now make an annual pilgrimage in September or October for their amazing Halloweekends. They have 17+ roller coasters most of which broke records when they were built. There are also several areas for kids that are adorable, two resorts, a beach, lots of live entertainment, an OG train that goes through Bonesville and a water park. It's so big that you need at least 2.5 days to ride everything ONCE. During Halloweekends, they also have several indoor and outdoor scary attractions and haunted houses that are included in admission that are excellent. If you are a fan of roller coasters and thrills, this place needs to be at the TOP of your list!

Haven't been to Cedar point in over 50 years. Company picnic outing, great time with family and friends. Great weather.

Multiple Rides Broken!
Drove 3 plus hours with several family members to have a lousy day.
Do not go unless ready for Disappointment…

I just sat on hold for over an hour to be disconnected because the office closed while I was on hold. That is unacceptable. I need to reschedule a VIP tour because there is a 95% chance of rain on our current date. If you visit the park, you can't reschedule the event. But if I can't get you on the phone, what choice do I have but to visit the park and hope to resolve this issue? We paid over $500 a ticket for this "VIP" tour. This does not feel like VIP treatment to waste your customer's time.

We have been visiting Cedar Point for many years. It has always been a great visit and we will continue to visit Cedar Point for years to come. The Roller Coasters are among the Best in the World. Located on Lake Erie, a refreshing swim is just steps from our Hotel.

The problem with this time of year is the weather. There are no refunds and the trips need to be planned in advance. Today they will be closing early and nothing is open, possibly rhe worst experience we have had here to date. The other issue is that very few attractions outside of the coasters are open either. My suggestion to the park would be to either be open or not be open, don't be somewhere in between yet still charge full admission price to access the park. They have offered the opportunity to use our tickets again due to the weather, but that does not include hotel costs, planning, and fuel costs to get here. This also does not account for whether or not this is even possible to achieve in a two week span. If they were truly interested in addressing situations such as this they would allow for tickets to be used for the year, not 2 weeks. This would allow for at least the opportunity for most people to make up for such a poor experience. We have been taking a group of foreign exchange students here for years during hollow weekends and this will undoubtedly be our last time with how bad of an experience it has been for the kids who all payed to enjoy what we hoped would be a unique experience specific to the area. While it was an experience, a good one it is not. Good luck to you in the future but this has not been a return worthy trip for these kids and we will likely not be returning for the hollow weekend trips going forward. Most cases that includes 15 to 25 kids each year in lost revenue. Keep up the good work 👎

There are two parks. The amusement park is well worth paying for premium parking! at the end of a long day you want to be parked near the front. We arrived right before opening and with premium parking we were up front. The lines moved quick to get through security, then another line to get into park. We had all day drink and dining. The souvenir cups hold about 14 ounces or opt to get a cup holding about 10. You can get drink bands from any location not just the super long line when you first come On the left. Also, the food bands can be at any place that offered the food on the plan.
If you refill your drinks it is better to go to the self serve because they have power aid option, if you go to any other place you have less options for drinks. You can refill every 15 mins. EVERY time you will be asked to buy more souvenir bottles. The dinning plan we got the first time food was from the first place that we found and it was a quick place and the only option was deep fried mini corn dogs and deep fried cheese. We got one of each. Four of us took one small bite of cheese and tossed it was the grossest tasting thing ever. The mini corn dogs were half burnt and tasted like the oil was super old. The fries were also old and soggy. Both meals ended up in trash…four people and no one would eat it.
The rides for the kids were good. Except the first place we stopped right inside the gates are for really little kids, the 7 year old would not fit in several. The camp snoopy a little further down was much better and the last one at the other end was even better. The weather was overcast and threatening rain all day which may have kept many away as a lot of the coasters appeared to be closed due to winds. A supervisor I asked why the boat ride was closed and he said high winds….for a boat ride? We stopped at a BBQ place used our two dinner passes and got four pieces of dried up mostly crusted chicken ( although I really didn’t see any chicken!) and fries. I asked if we could add pulled pork too and it was almost $15 just to add a few pieces of pork, we passed. We also got the beef tip and fries for the second meal. It came with cornbread that was the best part of the meal. We bought a little cup of water melon at almost $8. It was horrible and had a lot of white pith on it. Maybe 10 pieces about the size of a quarter, that would be generous.
The next day we went to the water park. No need to pay for premium parking we got there as they opened and we parked about 10 rows back. Entering was quick and easy. We walked to get our premium gold cabana all the way in the back. The cabana was a little over $350 and was to include 12 souvenir towels and 12 water bottles. They did not want to give us the towels because we only had four people. Eventually they did, there were only eight bottles of water when I went back up to the front they brought four more. The first thing I noticed when I sit down on the couch was the moldy smell. You could see black dots of mold at several areas on the couch area. We were greeted by an employee who said his name was Sebastian and that he would be back around one to see if we wanted anything. You can order off a menu and have it delivered to the cabana to eat. We did not get the dinner plan since it was not worth it the day before in the park. We looked at the menu and decided what we are going to eat and went off to play in the water. We had a seven-year-old and a Six year old and went over to where the big bucket and multiple slides were. Around 1 o’clock we return to Our cabana and waited about 15 minutes And then I went to find the employee to put in our order for lunch. I could not find him and eventually walked to the far side of the park and ordered. I asked the lady if we could get the fruit tray that was on the menu in the cabana. She informed me that the cabana menu was only for the cabana people and it was a totally different menu but she can order the fruit platter and then when we get back the employee would come to the cabana and we could get it from him. Which I did. By the time that I lugged the food all the way through the park to the backend where the cabanas are about 10 minutes later the employee came apologize and said he was the only one working the cabanas. We were gonna order the sampler platter too but they were out of egg Rolls so we just ordered the fruit tray. The little bit of fruit that we did get was good. They are displayed on three individual paper plates. And it was $35.
The worst part of the day was when our seven-year-old was told they had to takeoff their water shoes to slide down the slides. It was not long before her foot got cut and it was bleeding. As we try to find a first aid station we finally found a lifeguard who said it was on the other side of the park where the cabanas were that was great since we had a cabana. We walked all the way over there and found a supervisor lifeguard who was with about five other lifeguards and the way pool is closed down. I am assuming that something had happened and I understand that they were busy. I asked where the first eight was and if The lady across the way told us the first aid station was over here. The supervisor lifeguard said no it’s on the other side of the park. I showed her the child with the bleeding foot and she was like sorry I do have some water we can pour on it and a piece of gauze. I said I think that it needed some antiseptic and how was the gauze going to stay on her foot. The supervisor was like sorry that’s all I have. We made it we gathered up our things and left for the day!
Overall I think Holiday world and beach bend was much better! About half the cost, friendlier staff, and overall a better day! However I do have to give a shout out to three maintenance people who actually was telling me about the park and where to find other slides for children. They were amazing!! Those three maintenance workers should give classes to the rest of the employees!

Park was kept very clean. Restaurant choices have improved but if u like chicken fingers, coney dogs and fries u have it made. All personnel were friendly and helpful. Was disappointed that on 95 degree day icee spots were not open. I do suggest buying a meal plan-can eat every 90 minutes on daily. Also purchasing drink cup.
Did not understand why black top was used for some of the walking paths. It radiated the heat.

Bought fast pass plus wristbands which I think the park oversold because the lines were just as long for fast pass vs not. The corkscrew was down mechanical issues the maverick broke down mid ride so did the Maxair so did the millennium force and it stranded riders on track over a n hour. At some point the raptor was also down too Many ride issues to warrant a return anytime soon.
Reading reviews now I see certain rides have had problems for awhile the park has only been open 3 weeks it's going to be long summer just beware

In younger days, I could not wait to ride every thrilling coaster until the tops of my thighs were riddled with bruises! Now, in my sixties, I am happy just to stroll around the park and enjoy the views from The Big Wheel, some shows, and the tamer rides. I am still thrilled by the charm and convenience of The Breakers and would recommend staying there, but bring some healthy foods from home and a coffee pot!

We visited Cedar point for the very 1st time and we are from Cincinnati; this amusement park I would call the roller coaster capital of the world and there unique twist is that there beach like atmosphere sitting on lake Erie; kind of reminds me of either Daytona Beach or Myrtle Beach with the amusements, boardwalk, restaurants right on the beach but in this case by the lake. The reason I give it such a low score is the way they treat their disabled guests and the rude employee's and the food and drinks at some of their upscale dining options. I say this because, I am disabled and they way I was treated as a wheelchair bound guest and there dining venues and options were very over priced and the food quality was disgusting and served cold. Also, the employee's on the rides and dining venues seem cold and distance especially when they were serving folks in wheelchairs like myself. We went to their water park 08/24 and ate at one of their restaurants that serve Cuban sandwich's in a platter with fries and both were sold cold and tasteless; I asked for a manager and was told she or he was on break and they couldn't warm up the sandwich or fries because they didn't have a microwave in the kitchen, that to me sounded odd, Anyways - Staff is from India that day and didn't speak English very well and told us if we had a problem to stop by customer service on our way out of the park. They staff overall for the entire park and dining venues need classes in customer service and need some more training on how to deal with folks young and old who are disabled and in wheel chairs. Majority of rides have elevators or lifts but when we were there in August 2024; a lot of them were not working or the employee's did not know how to operate them or were just plainly out of order. They have sky lift bucket ride in the front of the park that takes visitors from one end of the park to the other but is not wheelchair accessible nor has an elevator to assist the disabled. They have a train ride though which is accessible and this is how we were able to go from one end of the amusement park to the other and the train staff were eager to please with folks with mobility issues. The employee's is the restaurants mostly foreign exchange students seem like they just didn't care and were there for just the paycheck. The food at Cedar point venues is overpriced, tasteless and the portions are lacking. More than likely we will not be returning to Cedar point for the issues we had, the poor staffing issues, poor quality in their food choses and how expensive it was; in my opinion You pay for what you get but worse at Cedar point - Disabled Consumers Beware of this amusement park, go elsewhere like Disney or one of the Hershey parks but avoid this place like the plague - they are not disabled place friendly and quite rude with folks in wheelchairs!!!

We live in Northeast Ohio and have been going to Cedar Point for years. I never had such a bad experience entering the park. There was only one security line open and it took an hour and half to get through the line. At some point they did open a second line but it was too little too late. The park opens at 10 am and we did not get into the park until around 11:30. They had plenty of gates to enter but only one security line until the second check point was opened. We went on a few rides in the kitty park area and then it was time for lunch. Unfortunately, no one can control thd weather but when lunch was over we headed for the Iron Dragon. After being in line for about 15 minutes they closed the ride due to thunder in the area. We headed for the train to go to the back of the park but the train shut down as well. At this point skies were getting gray and we walked toward Frrontier land where we spent the next several hours waiting for the storm to pass and the rides to open. We ended up sitting in the leather shop, candy shop and the glass blowing shop but at 6:30 we gave up and called it a day. We literally had about 2.5 hours all day to access the rides. We had five very, tired, hot and very disappointed kids. I called today Cedar Points administrative offices to complain primarily about the bottleneck getting into the park and their was no consideration offered except for a fast pass voucher per person that initially they said had to be used by Nov 2nd but ultimately extended to next year. I asked the representative if having only one security line open was typical and she said they have heard many complaints regarding the entry process. I asked why they dont have more security lines open and she had no answer. I told her we had no desire to return if the process wasn't improved. She sounded like a bott and kept repeating there is nothing more she could do. Needless to say we won't be going back this year if they dont fix the entry process. I really don't think they care. Very disappointing they ruined a great park and even worse they don't seem to care. If you decide you do want to visit the park I would recommend you dont come when the park opens and wait until the line dies down.

My experience at cedar point was amazing! While this park does gain a significant amount of crowds, the number of attractions spread all of the guests throughout the park. Even though some rides had an hour or more wait, I understood since they were the newest additions to the park. Most of the staff that I encountered were very nice and helpful. Overall my experience was very good.
One of the downfalls of this park is the staggered openings of certain rides throughout the day. Rides such as Gemini didn’t open until noon. This might not sound like a big deal, but for a park this size, it made the rides that were open very busy. Other than this, it was very difficult to find something not to like here. They have a ride for almost everyone. My family really enjoyed roller coasters such as steel vengeance and millennium force. If you are looking for something to do this summer, I would recommend spending 2 to 3 days to enjoy everything this park has to offer.

The roller coasters and other rides at the park are fantastic. However, many people are jumping the queues, and the on-duty guards do not react. The food is significantly overpriced, and there are almost no vegan options.

I paid for the water park and the only reason was for the lazy river, and it wasn't open no life guards on duty total waste of my hard earned cash. Will never everyone back

I have loved Cedar Point since I was a kid. I took my 10 year old son and we had a blast. We got the all day dining and the food was great! They always have the best and most exciting roller coasters.

I went to Cedar Point, This Past summer and in summer of 2023, and it was amazing, my favorite roller coasters to ride there is Millennium Force and Maverick, and my favorite places to eat are the pizza place and the amazing Grand pavilion they have near the Lake. also, amazing views of Lake Erie, especially if you're riding Wind Seeker, Millenium force, or even Valravn for that matter, since you would love the views and the vibes this theme park has to offer.

This review is for the Cedar Point boardwalk beach adjacent to the amusement park. The are no public bathrooms nor showers on the southside of the entrance to the boardwalk beach. If you want to visit the beach at Cedar Point you must pay the daily parking rate $25.00. Overall the beach is clean, board walk is beautiful reminds me of Daytona Beach without cars driving all over the beach and yes there is beach patrol and the beach is very well kept up No trash anywhere. There is No shade bring your own umbrella's...

the food legitimately made me so sick. i had a single, nasty cheeseburger from this 50’s style restaurant and it absolutely made my stomach churn. i have ibs and gerd and it gave me acid reflux for 7 hours up until i got home and was able to vomit it up and i still have heartburn almost 10 hours later. i still feel awful and it was honestly the worst burger i’ve ever had; and for $12? close to the worst thing i have ever put in my mouth. please do not eat the food here, save your stomach/wallet some grief. the food being as bad as it is with as expensive as it is- its a cash grab. a small single use cup is legit $5; so i’m glad my school got us a free drink wristband. also please do NOT eat the cheese on a stick; my entire group of 7 people tried it and we all HATED it and agreed it just made us feel gross and unclean on the insides. but the thing is? just that deep fried cheese with the smallest plate of fries was like $15. please just pack your own food.

the experience of going here was amazing it was my last day of school ever as a senior in high and i got to a small school so each year all the seniors go to cedar point. the bad part was we where all in a group trying to go through the little security area. then this short plump curly hair lady cusses at my teachers telling them to get your f-----g kids in a single file line.

I regret giving a negative review to a local company, but this was a really bad experience. I took my seven year old grandson to Cedar Point. I don't get to see him that often. I was really excited to take him. My wife purchased the VIP parking and ride tickets, several hundred dollars in all. When we arrived there was no one to speak with, just mechanized toll booths. So where was the VIP parking? When we entered the park, there was an issue. They wanted to see the credit card that had been used to make the reservation. We were taken out of line to a special office. My wife had made the reservation with her credit card. I had several credit cards and cash with me, but not my wifes credit card. Forty five minutes later we were let in the park. The issue was never explained to me. And of course no apology. The first ride we tried to get on, there was no VIP access, nor was there on any other ride we tried to get on. A seven year old cannot wait an hour in line for a ride. After a couple hours of this we just left, my day with my grandson ruined! I feel like Cedar Point literally stole my money. I would never go back. My advice to anyone. Go to your county fair. Great rides, great fair food, and short lines. You will have more fun and save yourself a couple hundred dollars. Very disappointed. Dr. Bill C.

Waited an hour in line for Millenium Force for nearly an hour, very close to getting on, then the ride broke down and needed maintenance. Stood there for another 20 minutes just for me and the GF to leave. The attendants wouldn't even let us go to through the exit, we had to walk through all of the people just to leave. Same thing happened with the ValRavn. We were on the steps about to get on, nearly an hour of being in line then something happened and they needed to stop the ride for maintenance. Dragster wasn't even running, which was one of my favourites when it came out years ago.
They have the audacity to charge FULL PRICE for tickets and fast lane. They can't even get their rides working long enough to be worth standing in line. We ended up leaving at 3 pm after having got there around 9am fully expecting to stay until closing. This place has gone down hill. The entire trip was a huge disappointment. I am never going back.

I was in Ohio for a family event, and being a huge fan of roller coasters, I had to make a pilgrimage to Cedar Point. It had been over a decade since my last visit - so there was a lot new to take in. I had a Thursday evening to explore the park, and a few hours the next Friday. Of note, I was able to experience everything I hoped to without a FastLane Plus. I did however, have the Six Flags Prestige Pass for 2026, which enabled early entry for a few attractions (notably Gatekeeper, Top Thrill 2, and Siren's Curse), as well as a single Fast Lane Plus pass. Here's my top tips:
- Arrive early! This park gets packed quick, and rides are prone to downtime throughout the day (makes sense with the volatile temperatures and winds on Lake Erie)
- I'd recommend heading to Siren's Curse/Top Thrill 2 first. Their positioned in the center of the park, and are quite prominent - so lines will only grow throughout the day.
-Afterwards head to Maverick/Steel Vengeance
-Do not miss attractions include (in my order of preference): Steel Vengeance, Top Thrill 2, Maverick, Millennium Force, Siren's Curse, and Gatekeeper.
-Strong supporting coasters include Raptor, Valravn, Magnum XL 200, Gemini, and Blue Streak
-I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Sandusky, which is at the entrance of the Cedar Point area peninsula. It's no frills, but an affordable, includes breakfast, and super convenient location within a 5-8 min drive to the park.

Absolute junk. The lines were awful, many rides were out of service and the kids area had limited openings. The food in the entire park is zero stars. A vendor stole my daughter’s phone and we caught him. The “artist” doing cartoon drawings charged my 12 year old $75 for a drawing without disclosing the price first. The people working there are like carnies. Way too expensive for such a below average experience. There is no security and too many kids are left unsupervised.

Always great! Always classy! Always FUN!
This is great fir two days at least.
Lighthouse Point cottages are amazing!

One of my worst experiences EVER in an amusement park. I grew up going to Cedar Point. Last time I was here was 1997. I am writing this on day 2 of day 3. SO far both days have been abmissmal. Only ended up riding 4 of 17 rollercoasters on day 1. Yep 13 of them were closed for various reasons including weather (windy). Day 2: a ridiculous amount of mechanical and maintenance issues. We paid for early entry, arrived today at 8:40 and were in the park by 8:45. Rides are supposed to open at 9, haha 😄! Waited at Millennium in a long line and at 9:20 we were informed that they didn't know when it would open. Finally got on our 1st ride, Gatekeeper 20 minutes later. Then went to Valraven, Waited in line for about 30 minutes, then informed that there were mechanical issues. Today we had 3 rollercoasters that had mechanical issues and either had to leave or wait. I could go on, but not neccessary. Hopefully tomorrow will be smoother riding.
Side note: we did 2 days at Kings Island prior to arriving at Cedar Point. What a difference. Fabulous experience there!

We took our motorhome to lighthouse shores, and in the paperwork it said that you had admission to the park on the day of arrival and departure and that you could use the passes during that time but when we got there they said no it's only for one day you check in 1:00 on day of arrival you check out 12:00 on day of departure The wording in the paperwork was terrible It was a and/or situation and we chose the and which means all inclusive. Once we got to the park several of the rides were down the big ones We stood in line twice for the mine ride and twice it got shut down as we were about to get on We stood in line twice for Snake River ride and twice it shut down as we were standing in line for over 40 minutes and we also had the ferris wheel shut down on this as we stood in line. It was very disappointing. I don't feel like they really know what they're doing.

As a child, with family, church, school, or friends, we would find our way to Cedar Point, annually. As time progressed, our visits became less frequent. Wow, am I glad that the fun never stopped and the park only changed for the better.
We had a ball! From open to close we ate and rode every ride as many times as we liked. The crowd was manageable, as we chose to visit during the week. The food was edible and definitely different from my childhood. We paid about $50 for all day food and drinks. I have to admit...it was worth it. There was this one "misunderstanding" with purchasing our preferred food plan from a cashier at a restaurant. Ergo, I highly recommend buying online or at the office near the gate. Trust me, it may make the difference in how much you enjoy your overall experience. With that being said, the park's management team (upper level) gave us superb customer service. They salvaged our visit and we left with a lifetime of great memories.
Im so glad that we chose Cedar Point! From the variety of rides, entertainment options, and food choices to the reasonable line waits, cleanliness, and customer service, Cedar Point was worth every penny.

Grew up in the 70s and 80s going to the park. This is not the same place!! Paid for 3-day passes for family of 9. Spent 3/4 of that time with majority of coasters closed. Severe staffing shortages and they can’t keep up. They closed many of the food options at 5pm, forcing us to leave the park to eat. Claimed “high winds” forced closure of many rides but it was barely more than a breeze; it was just an excuse to close rides. Once they get your money, they care little about offering a quality family activity. Truly truly disappointed.

Amazing park with a great selection of rides, but there are some major problems that make visiting unenjoyable.
The way Fast Lane is operated is a scam. The lines merge into the main queue so early that in some cases you save zero time at all. On a day when I paid $180 for Fast Lane Plus, the line merged into the Millennium Force line behind the main line, meaning I saved no time at all for the money. At Steel Vengenance, it's similar and you're guaranteed a long wait. With the prices they're charging for this service, it needs to be reconfigured to provide more for you money.
The loose article situation at Steel Vengenance is insane. This ride is no more intense or likely to cause you to lose your belongings than comparable rides at other parks, yet they force everyone to go through security that's worse than TSA? How is a chapstick in a pocket a danger? Forcing everyone to go through lockers and metal detectors slows the line to a crawl and is a miserable experience.

I went to cedar point during the weekday and even then it was extremely busy. Lines are always very long for such short rides. Fast pass is definitely worth it. Otherwise, fun park

This is a great park with great rides and attractions. The glass blowing studio is a nice, quiet place to relax and watch a real artist at work (Hi Tylen!). The petting zoo/farm area is fun. We got to see the baby alpaca (Churro) and made sure to be there to see the animals go back into the barn at the end of the day. Steel Vengeance is the best. Almost everyone we met there was friendly and helpful. We even walked through the haunted houses and mazes for the 1st time. Scare actors are tremendous and houses are impressive.

First of all this my fifth favorite 🤩 amusement park in the world 🌎 . Second my favorite 🤩 amusement park in the Midwest. Third it’s great if you have trill rides . Lastly, Kings Island is better for babes to 3rd graders. This is better for fourth graders to gown ups.

Hello,
I need this letter/review to be delivered and/or seen by someone at senior level management. (I will also be calling because I would like speak with someone at senior management level regarding our absolutely poor experience we faced while spending the weekend there last weekend.
Over the last 20 years, I, myself, along with my family/friends have consecutively visited (aside from 2020) to what was once a consistently amazing experience and park with the awesome rides and fun and very nice accommodations. Usually we would stay at Hotel Breakers, but decided to try something new. This year, on 8/12/2022, we visited the park and then stayed at Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay Resort through 8/14/2022 checkout on Sunday as part of a package. Sadly, I/We have never left there more disgusted and dissatisfied and never felt more completely robbed blind, given the amount of $ that was spent for a weekend package there along with the irate costs within the inside of the park as well as within the hotel and indoor water park.
We literally arrived at the hotel to grab our "Ride and Refresh” tickets (included in the package but saves no money) at 9:15 am on 8/12/2022. Then, as planned, went straight to the amusement park full of excitement and anticipation. It is with great despair and frustration, we literally had only ridden 2 rides, and left by 4:00 PM. Let me repeat, again, we left at 4PM in total anger/disgust having only ridden 2 RIDES!!!!! We, for one random second, after the first line for the Maverick was over a 2 hour long wait, considered the fast lane passes which we've done before and had success, but having spent a small fortune for and this year it wasn’t a feasible or lucrative option. Reason being, for this particular day, it would have been absolutely pointless, seeing as how the rides included with either version of the fast-lane passes were 80% CLOSED most of the day and my level of anger would have been elevated even further and off the charts due to the IRATE prices for the fast lane passes that shorten your wait times, but 80% of the rides that fast lane would have helped with, were CLOSED!
This is completely unacceptable, there should have been a sufficient and fair warning at the gate prior to entry letting us know the situation and status of the multiple rides that were closed or closing intermittently throughout the day, and that there would be that many ride closures and issues with rides throughout the park. The full list of the multitude of things we were extremely upset and disappointed with during the one-day visit to the park are as follows:
AT THE CP AMUSEMENT PARK:
-MULTIPLE rides were down (Staple rides, the best of the best in the park), multiple times throughout the day. There were several cases where we would wait in an enormous long line, only to have that particular ride break down prior to us boarding the ride. Along with that, we waited over 2 + hours for the only 2 rides that were open consistently throughout the day, which were the Maverick and Steel Vengence. When trying to wait for the others after those two rides, (which just those two consumed the first 5.5 hours of our day) i.e. Millenium, Gatekeeper, etc., they would close just prior to us boarding and we were then not able to actually ride them because they kept CLOSING intermittently and after being in line for a minimum of 90 minutes, having to wait an additional “unknown” amount of time, was absolutely unacceptable.
-ALL Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, something in which I am not normally used to, having visited the park yearly for the last 2+ decades yearly, and always raved about the cleanliness of the park and restroom areas
-Any/all Food stands we visited were out of just general condiments for the foods they sold and multiple beverage selections were out at each location
-Although it appears these days that smokers/vapers are a made out to be a pariah, there were no designated areas anymore for people to stop and chill for a second and take care of the habit without having to LEAVE the park entirely which is absolutely the most inconvenient and idiotic set up I've ever encountered when approximately 25 to 30% of the visitors, as just a guestimate, smoke or vape, and most tourist people rather than the minimal group of locals, go there for the full day, and should not be expected to have to suffer the inconvenience of leaving the park once every couple hours to have a smoke or vape for a minute or two but spend 20 to 30 minutes depending on the location walking to get to an entrance/exit to do so.
-The Staff that worked the rides, (especially the ones we waited in line for, for hours, and then not even able to get on those rides due to them randomly closing yet again, multiple times throughout the day) were rude and unsympathetic to the situation. They had no customer service skills, none at all. (BTW/FYI, The Valravn, was NEVER even opened or running at all from the time of the park opening, which is one of the newest rides at the park, and there was no warning about that closure at the entrance and/or it was not iterated to customers prior to entry about it.
-customer service and demeanor from the employees at the food stands were also rude and the cleanliness/sanitization, was horrendous. How do you have a burger and fries stand (Coasters Food Stand) and yet have no condiments, NONE! And this wasn’t even during prime lunch hour, this was at approximately 2:30-3:00PM in the afternoon. Finally, after eating, and full of frustration and dissatisfaction, we decided to work our way out of the park since most of the rides we had not yet ridden or wanted to ride were either closed again, closed all day, or the wait times were just too long due to only a few rides being opened and everyone flocking there. On the way out, we saw that the GateKeeper was opened again and that there was a shorter wait than the rest we had checked or seen. The final icing on the urinal cake of the day was, once we got up to get in line for the GateKeeper, just wanting to get one more ride in prior to leaving, it closed AGAIN!!!!!p
AT THE CASTAWAY BAY HOTEL:
-rooms were less than mediocre for the price, tiny, and don’t let the “Bay View” room fool you when booking, it’s nothing special and you basically have a view of the garbage that is laying along the sides of the bay and the road all along the entrance to the cedar point causeway and mucky water.
-we had to contact the front desk due to there being blood on the sheets within our room that was discovered our first night when wanting to get to bed after a long and horrendous day and seeing it when pulling the sheets back. The refrigerator in the room was NOT cold at all, and the noise level in the hotel was out of control at all hours of the night.
-It took us 20 minutes messing with the tv in the room to get it to even work as it seemed to be unplugged and not hooked up correctly
-Next day, 8/13/2022, we woke up, got ready and went to the resort’s indoor water park in hopes it would be a much better day, still extremely frustrated and displeased from our experience from the day before at the amusement park. On a slightly positive note, the water park was probably the most promising of the trip at first, but also then discovered its mediocrity and the layout of it was atrocious. There were a few slides there, that unless you had a detailed treasure map, you wouldn’t ever find and miss out on riding them. Also, the same goes for the outdoor pool, we NEVER used it because we could never find it. And when asking workers, they were not helpful at all. I also never saw so many parents that were all partying like they were 20 drinking in the hot tub outside while the kids just ran freely throughout the place without supervision.
-The food inside the hotel at their snack shop was no different than a cold vending machine.
-After being gone all day from the room, we came back to it not ever having been cleaned. Came to find out that we had to call to have it cleaned???? What hotel has that policy? I can’t think of one
The only positive recommendation I can give after this weekend in Sandusky was if you get the chance, visit the Thirsty Pony restaurant/bar across the street from Castaway Bay. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our trip. They have excellent food, excellent service and portions, and they are very family friendly. Yes, we left to go there for lunch as the food in the hotel was completely sub-par.
-finally, even though we would have had access to the indoor park the next day, 8/14, even after check-out, we left early in the morning and didn’t look back.
OVERALL, I feel like we should be compensated for this in some way for the absolute bust of a trip we had with the amusement park being useless and the mediocrity of the resort we stayed in along with the irate amount of money we were charged for it. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if this falls on deaf ears, since these days customer’s opinions don’t seem to matter much.

One of our best trips to Cedar Point, it definitely was awesome 👌 We went with pur children and our neighbors and their children and we had an amazing experience. We stayed on sight at Hotel Breakers and purchased the 2 day Ride and Refresh ticket bundle along with a connecting double queen bed room for both our families. It was definitely a better deal than purchasing everything separate. The refresh part was for unlimited drinks in the park for the 2 days at the their Coca Cola Refresh stations around the park, which were everywhere. It was definitely convenient! The rides were all spectacular and there were so many thrilling and exciting rides. So much to do here and so much to buy for eating and for souvenirs to take home. They have enhanced the overall park experience with the addition of the Boardwalk along the beach amd the Pavillion. So many extra activities to go along with that too, like cart rides along the beach on the Boardwalk. Overall, an amazing weekend getaway to the best Amusement park there is!!! Will definitely be back, like all the other times we have been🥰

This was our third annual trip to Cedar Point with friends. We had a 2 day park pass for May 18th & 19th. We noticed on this trip that there were fewer rides, stores and restaurants open. The first day was pretty good because the crowds were down and most rides were working so we felt like we got our money's worth. However, the 2nd day was terrible. We wasted a lot of time waiting in lines only to have the ride break down. Both mornings Steel Vengeance didn't open on time and continued to have problems. At one point it was hard to find a coaster that was working which meant the wait times shot up for the few that were working. There was no ice cream open either day since Toft's was closed. The line at Starbucks was so long that we were searching for other places to get a warm drink on a cold day, but the French Quarter across the midway didn't open until 5pm. We were seriously considering walking all the way back to Breakers for a warm drink at the only other Starbucks. Our 2nd day in the park was warm so then we were looking for ice cream and water rides , none of which were open. It was almost becoming comical how many coasters weren't working. At what point does the park stop being a park of roller coasters when they're broken down more than they are working. There were at least 5 coasters having problems and Iron Dragon was unexpectedly closed. Even the Derby Downs Carousel was closed the first day. We ended up exiting the park 2 hrs before closing and witnessed the Wind seeker ride with people stuck over 10 stories up in the air while workers tried to work on the inside of it! The food was very pricey and lunch and dinner cost $20 person and that was without drinks since we had a drink pass. I will say the food was good and there was plenty of quantity so that made the cost less painful. Our best meal was at the new Grand Pavilion. I will say this last visit will make us reconsider coming back next year.

The crew of Maverick on Thursday but especially Friday night was able to get my phone back that I dropped (and paid the idiot tax by having a busted screen). Lex and her crew were awesome to help and find it balanced on the support.

This is a coaster enthusiast dream!!! I loved the park so much I went back twice in a row. The park was also very clean too, I was really surprised being that it doesn't have the same funds as parks like Disney and Universal. I came all he way from Florida just to go to this park and was not disappointed. My favorite rides were maverick and millennium force, but yes steel vengeance was also very good as well. ENJOY THIS PARK!

Coastermania was a joke and not worth the gas or ticket prices. Why would a park schedule two different private events on the same day and close part of the park with the best coasters in the park during a coaster enthusiasts event? Ony to get these people to pay at least $100 extra. Huge waste of time and money. Steel Vengeance and Maverick might be great rides but going to a private event to not even be able to ride each coaster once isn't work it. At least Kings Island cares about their guests. Don't waste your time at this park unless you can afford Fast Lane Plus, even though you still wait quite a while on most rides, up to an hour on the busy ones.

Visited July 2024. The park has some great rides but our experience was severely compromised by the following:
- even RIDES WITH VERY LONG LINES WERE ALLOWED TO RUN WITH EMPTY SEATS!!!!!!!!!! We saw this so many times. Highly infuriating when you're standing in 90 degree heat for over an hour. Crazy and just bad business! CEDAR POINT - PLEEEEASE START A SINGLES LINE, like Universal. It's a no brainer. It will be a crowd pleaser and make your park run way more efficiently.
- the staff is not well trained. Whenever we asked anything to a staff member they'd shrug and say they had no idea. Young kids, seasonal, I get it... but give them some better training. Please!

Cedar Point has always been our go to park. It is always clean, most of the rides are always open, food is good!

It was a horrible experience. They only had three roller coasters working the whole time we were there and the skyline. Nothing was open in frontier land, it was basically just someplace to go and walk around and look at nothing. I rode the train around a couple times because there’s simply nothing else to do. For what the tickets cost it’s just ridiculous not counting parking price. Definitely won’t be wasting my money to go back to the so-called roller coast I could’ve had more fun staying at the house and twiddling my thumbs

We went on a weekday and had a blast with minimal lines. Minus a handful of rides, we mostly were in line less than 10 minutes. We took advantage of fun day offer for 1 person which was such a great deal.

Drove up from southwest Ohio early in the day. Got there about noon and bought our 2026 Kings Island passes through their computer and was able to enter. Stayed till 8:30 at night and drove home. Was a great day. Next year we will plan a two day adventure. Some rides were an hour long wait, but others not so long. Lots of great roller coasters which my 7 year old grandson loved. The office staff were friendly and helpful to get our passes working. And ride operators were efficient getting us on and off rides quickly. I would recommend downloading their app. It was very helpful in determining which rides were best, the length of wait, etc.. You could sort rides, food, etc. by distance from you, which was helpful.
Only issue I had was finding icee locations. I only found one all day even though all the drink plans posters all over the park had both coke products and icee on their ads.
We will be back.

We have been going here for over 40 years. How sad that this park has deteriorated so badly and customer service is non existent.
1. Closed/broken rides everywhere.
2. Standing in lines hours
3. Rude workers telling people there were rules that there was not because they did not want someone on a ride.
4. Water park - slides closed
5. Waited in line 1.5 hours for storm surge as they were only running 2 tubes and had one lifeguard putting people in the tubes. Lifeguard kept waiting on tubes to come up the lift
5. Cross Current - both bigger slides closed , middle slide had (I counted them) 20 tubes available with up to 40 people waiting in lines for tubes. At one point someone stopped the riders and had a worker get in the water with some fake baby and walk from slide to slide holding it under water as she was taking some kind of test.
6. Lazy river - no tubes available - and so packed you could not move - no way 2 lifeguards can watch this many people.
7. Most other rides there was no way one lifeguard could watch the number of people in the pools.
8. Wave machine closed
9. Lines so long at the front due to so many people wanting in.
10. Breakers hotel - rude desk clerks
11. Our patio in one of the suites was filthy! Bird crap, cigarette butts everywhere, dirty tables and chairs.
12. The whole place is run by young kids who really do not care about doing their job just waiting to get off for the day.
Bottom line is we will NOT be back until they solve these problems. We spent way more money for 2 days that I could have spent at Disney for 5.
Also seems they care more about opening more drinking (bars) in the parks and hotels than having enough food places for people to eat.

We took our grandkids to Cedar Point in June and they had a great time. The youngest had to miss a few rides due to height, but still had fun. We went two days on a Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday was by far the better day as crowds were smaller and lines shorter. We didn't get to ride all of the roller coasters as Thursday's lines were 1 1/2 hours for a few. We bought the all day dining and the food was ok with the exception of Back Beat BBQ which was amazing! The kids enjoyed exiting the park to the beach and playing in Lake Erie and then returning back into the park. The only downside was the park could us better signage. We also couldn't get the app to work and requested a paper map which they said they didn't have, but once I had them try to download the app on my phone and they realized it didn't work, they gave me one which was very helpful.

We come here every year, and year after year it's always getting worse. People not knowing how to check you in at the entrance. Sitting there having a full blown conversation for 5mjns while a lines behind. Rides are either always down, for over an hour wait.

I would have LOVED this when I was younger, but my body doesn't like giant roller coasters like it used to! But, my thrill-seeking family members loved it! The non-thrill-seekers enjoyed a couple hours on the beachline, though! We did the 4-10 pass at the cheaper admission rate and thought that was a great option! Our local amusement park retails at twice the cost of Cedar Point which we couldn't believe! Way to go Cedar Point.

Our family of 6 adults visited the park on June7-8. The lines to ride were not too long, around an hour per ride but usually less. We drove 10 hours to get to Cedar Point because my family really loves all the amazing roller coasters here! There seemed to be quite a few maintenance issues with several rides, resulting in delays or the ride being shut down completely. Despite this we all had a good time. All the public areas are kept very clean and tidy. We had an all day drink pass and there are lots of drink kiosks throughout.

I really like Cedar Point. I've been to many other amusement parks across this great land of ours including the big Florida ones. I Rank CP right up there with any of them in terms of rides. Theming and live shows maybe not so much. I consider it my home park. I’ve been coming to this park since I was a child riding the rides in Kiddy Kingdom (The children’s section located in the front of the park) to riding my first roller coaster (the Blue Streak) and so on. So, I am very familiar with this Amusement Park and while I do love it. It could be so much better.
1st let me say I have reviewed CP previously But it’s been a minute, and they have added some new attractions. Most notably the Siren’s Curse and the redesigned Top Thrill 2. I am a Roller Coaster Fanatic. So, I view all Amusement parks through that lens focused on those type of thrill rides. If you’re a roller coaster lover as well, then heading to CP is a must do pilgrimage. At a given time one of 3 of CP’s Roller Coasters held the title of tallest in the world: Magnum XL-200 – often noted as the first hyper coaster (200’+), Millennium force – First giga coaster (300’+) and when it debuted the original Top Thrill Dragster was the first true strata roller coaster (400’+). Now known as Top Thrill 2 it still tops off at 420’. Those rides alone are worthy of any Coaster lover.
Now let’s get to the review:
Sirens Curse – New for 2025. It is billed as North America’s TALLEST, LONGEST & FASTEST tilt coaster. Simply put - It’s a fun ride. Once you board the train. Your locked into the restraints, which are very comfortable, by pulling them down and locking the strap. A CP employee will come along and make sure your locked in tight. As you roll out of the station the train will stop when it reaches the end of the line. The portion of track that is disconnected from the main track. It then tilts vertically and connects to the main track line. As it does you will be staring straight down at the ground for what seems like a good 10 seconds. Once released the train goes down the first hill and you’re on your way. The ride is very smooth. It has 2 sections of barrel rolls, lots of airtime (the sensation of rising out of the seat), and something their referring to as a triple down element. A good coaster but at a park such as CP. I would place it in at #5 as my favorite in this park. It could very well be a #1 or #2 coaster at any other park.
*NOTE – CP is very serious in regards to you not having anything in your pockets while on this ride, (also on Steel Vengeance and Top Thrill 2). In the queue you will come up to some very small (in terms of allotted space) free use lockers. Put everything and anything: cellphones, keys, change, wallet and small purses etc. you get it, into these lockers. Or better yet. Hand them to a friend who prefers to defer from such rides, no names please, and head into the queue unencumbered. You will then have to pass through a screening process with a metal detector. If they flag you for having something they will send you back out to the lockers. Do yourself a favor and adhere to the rules. Also, since it is brand new. Expect very long wait times. They can be upwards to 1 HR plus. Unless you have a Fast Pass Plus. More on those at the end of my review.
Top Thrill 2 – The much-anticipated redesign of the Top Thrill Dragster is back up and running after a false start in 2024. Being a season pass holder. We were (My wife and I) one of the few lucky ones who were able to ride it in 2024 before it was shut down for the YR. Now that it is back up and running regularly (somewhat) in 2025. I am comfortable with reviewing it. For those of you who didn’t have the pleasure. I will do a little bit of a rewind. So, the previous version would launch you forward reaching a speed upwards of 120 MPH going straight up and over a 420’ tall top hat and then straight back down to earth. Lasting all of 17 seconds. But what a thrill. But sometimes, due to wind conditions and involving very complicated physics and mathematical equations (kidding/slightly), the train did not always make it up the hill (referred to as a rollback). When that did happen. You would end up back at the launch site and, after a brief safety check, you would promptly be relaunched. This time successfully making it up the hill. Now I was never fortunate enough to have this ever happen while riding it. But I bring that up to guide you through the redo design. Now when you pull out of the station and get into position. The first launch, yes first launch of 3, only gets you to about ½ way to ¾ of a way up the hill at 70 MPH. As you roll back you will be launched again backwards up the 420’ tall spike. As the momentum wains and gravity calls you back down your again launched forward. This time reaching the required 120 MPH to make it over the hill and back to the station. The zero gravity sensations and speed all make this one of the best coasters in the world. That said it is my #2 favorite roller coaster here at CP.
*Note – As with Sirens Curse there is zero tolerance for any loose items. The free use lockers are outside the ride and not in queue. A CP employee at the start of the queue will point them out to you. The restraints are like the ones on Siren’s Curse. Very comfortable as you pull them down over you and strap lock them into place.
The rest of the Roller Coasters:
Millennium Force – What can I say. The height of the hill at 320’ matched with the speed of 93 MPH, the smoothness of the ride and the view of Sandusky Bay makes me want to ride this one again and again. An almost perfect roller coaster. Forever #1. The safety restraints are a lap bar and a belt.
*Note – Not a strict loose article policy as this ride never goes upside down. But don’t attempt to ride with anything you can’t strap to yourself. No souvenir cups or large purses and so on. There are no bins for this ride. Lockers for pay are located just outside the queue.
Steel Vengeance – Coming in at my #3 roller Coaster at CP. One word can describe this ride – Relentless. Steel Vengeance is the rebirth of an older wooden roller coaster called the Mean Streak. Famously known for its very rough ride. Cedar Point got the bright idea to turn this into a Hybrid coaster (combing the elements of wood and steel in the design). And what a great idea it was. This coaster has it all. The top hat tops off at 205’ with a 200’ vertical drop and you are off and running in what seems like one barrel roll after another including, 4 inversions and plenty of airtime ( they claim the most in any roller coaster in the world and I believe them). It truly is nonstop action until you make it back to the station.
*Note – Once again zero tolerance for lose articles. There are in queue free us lockers. The restraints are lap bar in style that also brace your legs. Not too bad. But as with most roller coasters at CP. There are test seats at the front of the queue. There is no shame in testing them out before getting in line. I am at the age where the safety restraints can make or break my experience on a ride. So much so, I may skip a ride simply because I don’t care for the way the safety restraints fit. A very popular ride. Expect long wait times.
Maverick – My #4 roller Coaster at CP. Another one I can simply say it’s a fun ride. It launches you out of the station and up the hill. You go over water and through a multitude of barrel rolls, inversions, add in a twisted horseshoe and a second launch out of a tunnel. All in all. You should have had a great ride.
*Note – This is a park favorite and often can see wait times exceeding those of the other popular Coasters. There are bins in the station for use. Trust me. Don’t ride with anything you don’t want to lose.
Valravn – Tied for #6 on my list. Cedar Points Dive Coaster. As the train rolls out of the station. It climbs the hill and moves forward until it reaches a point on the track. It stops and hangs over the crest. Like Sirens Curse you stare at the ground for a few seconds then get released. The rest of the ride has its share of loops, inversions and what CP describes 'a 270-degree roll and a legendary Immelmann maneuver' (rumor has it the ride actually spells out a script OHIO). The restraints come over the top with a belt between the legs. Not bad. It has stadium seating. 4 Rows of 8 riders each. A nice opportunity for a larger group photo on a ride.
*Note - There are bins but for shoes only ( don’t ask me why). But again, don’t ride with anything your afraid of losing.
GateKeeper – Tied for #6 on my list. Cedar Points Wing Coaster. Called a wing coaster because the seats on the train are out on the side of the train (wings) and not in, above or under the train. A fun ride. It has several loops. I like the way it threads the eye of two key holes above the main welcome plaza. For those entering the park the GateKeeper’s riders welcome you with their screams of joy.
*Note – The restraints are over the shoulder and not too bad. There are bins for your loose stuff.
Gemini – Sadly moved down to #7 on my list. Cedar points twin racing coasters. One of my all-time favorites when it’s running correctly. And by that, I mean as a true racing roller coaster. The two trains rolling out of the station at the same time. One team for the red train. One team for the blue train. Racing up and over the hill. As you ride down to the bottom of the first hill there is a steel beam that appears to hang too low, but you will have plenty of clearance. Another fun coaster. It’s a wooden frame with steel tracks. So not a true wooden coaster, if that matters. Sadly, more times than not only one train is running. It also doesn’t officially open until after the park has been open for an HR or so to the public. Safety restraints are a simple lap bar and seat belt.
Raptor – #8. Mainly because some one has to be. A hanging coaster where your seats are below the train and your feet dangle freely. The ride, as described by CP, has ‘3,790 feet of track filled with a 100-foot vertical loop, two inverted corkscrews, a zero gravity roll and the world’s first ever cobra roll’
*Note - There are bins available. Again, think It through as to what you don’t want to lose as this rides does have loops and inversions.
Blue Streak - #9. Classic Wooden Coaster. A staple at Cedar Point since 1964.
Rougarou - #10. A floorless coaster that replaced the old stand up coaster called the Mantis. The over the shoulder restraints aren't my favorite but not horrible. Nothing special but a good choice when the lines on the other roller coasters are getting too long.
Magnum XL 200 - #11 on my list. So why is the first hyper coaster (205’) so low on my list? Good question. The ride is a rough one. Especially the camel humps at the end. It will usually have the shortest wait times of all the roller coasters. Climbing up that first hill you get a great view of Lake Erie. The safety restraints are just lap bar style. The ride does not go upside down. No loops or inversions.
*Please CP address the rough ride issue so I can get back to riding this roller coaster.
The rest of the Roller Coaster group. Not in any particular order and not that their bad rides in anyway. They could still be be good options for those just beginning their roller coaster journey:
Wild Mouse - Located just in front of the Grand Pavilion. If your a roller coaster enthusiast you should be familiar with the wild mouse type of coaster as they are are a very popular family friendly ride in many amusement parks. The CP version is no different. Small dips and sharp curves to get the car spinning freely. A very short ride with no Fast Pass option. Wait times can be exceeding long.
Corkscrew - Per the CP website description its the first roller coaster to feature 3 inversions. All of them take place over one section of the midway so you can watch the riders go by above you. Outside of those inversions nothing too scary for an RC beginner. I personally, never cared for the over the shoulder restraints on this one and seldom ride it. But you may have a different point of view.
Iron Dragon – A hanging roller coaster where the enclosed cars hang below the train. The ride traverses over the water. Nothing too scary here.
Mine Ride – An older roller coaster that is a little bumpy but a good starter RC for young ones.
Pipe Scream – Cedar Point counts this as a roller coaster as it is a ride that sits on a track. Basically, it’s supposed to simulate a skateboard spinning back and forth over a hump. Another one that’s fun for the young ones.
And finally I can't leave out the Wilderness run or the Woodstock Express. Located in camp snoopy. A children's area situated in the Gemini area of the park. Both are a great choice as a beginners roller coaster (small child).
The rest of the park.
The other rides - Cedar Point maybe famous for its roller coasters. But if your like me and love amusement park rides besides roller coasters here are some of my personal favorites:
Cedar Derby Downs - A speedy version of a carousel ride. Simulating a horse race.
Troika - Per the CP website - Russian word meaning “group of three”. It’s three arms each hold seven gondolas for people to be whipped around in.
In addition. You will find the typical amusement park rides that will spin, twirl and drop you.
One ride type that is missing is an indoor dark ride. Cedar Point is built on a peninsula. It surrounded by Lake Erie. So space is limited. But I am sure they can squeeze something in. Plus, they have been obsoleting and removing some rides for some yet to be announced project. Fingers crossed.
The food – The food situation is another area in need of improvement. Yes, you can find various snacks and sweet treats. In addition to fast food type of options with plenty of outdoor seating. But, trying to find a nice place to sit down inside an air-conditioned dining area and be served, well good luck with that. CP does not have many indoor seating options available. And here they are:
Hugo’s - When you enter the park from the main gate. Hugo’s is a short walk on the left side of the midway. It has Italian themed food offerings meaning Pasta and pizza of average quality served cafeteria style. Meaning You get a tray, you slide it along and request whatever from the different stations.
Coaster Diner- Burger’s, chicken tenders, fries and rings with very limited indoor seating. Served cafeteria style.
Cedar Point Grand Pavilion & Bar- CP created this location to represent the old Grand Pavilion that started it all for Cedar Point back in 1888. The modern version comes with food and drink options geared to relax and unwind. However, the food is served cafeteria style (notice a theme). There is a bar for adult beverages and the seating feels scattered about and is a free for all. It does have great views of the beach and lake.
Currently closed:
Chick and Pete’s was a causal dining restaurant where you could sit down indoors and order food from a server. But it has been shuttered. Hopefully, something moves into this space and reopens. Another space that had indoor seating and used actual servers was the site of Melt (near the Windseeker). A local gourmet grilled cheese based restaurant chain that has since gone under. There once was a Pink's hot dog restaurant with limited indoor seating at the front of the park which is also currently closed. Also as a note there use to be a Famous Dave's BBQ just outside the park within walking distance at the Marina. That has moved to a location next to the Castaway Bay hotel and indoor water park. It's old location remains unoccupied.
Outside of the park options – There are several restaurants available in the Hotel Breakers. If your not staying at the hotel you could walk to them via an exit by Wind seeker or the exit by Magnum XL 200. You will walk along a path to the hotel and follow the signs to the lobby. There you can find: Tomo Sushi & Hibachi restaurant, and a Perkins which is a casual dining restaurant that does have servers. Near by the indoor pool there is a TGI Fridays. But be forewarned. Because they serve the Hotel guests they could have long wait lists. If your a planner. Tomo does take reservations.
On the other side of the park in the Marina there is a more upscale restaurant called Bay Harbor at Cedar Point Marina. Expect more pricey food options. Maybe not a place for younger families or anyone looking for less expensive options. But it maybe a good option if your seeking solace from the maddening crowd. Have a glass of wine, enjoy a nice meal and watch the boats sail along in the bay. To get there from inside the park you would walk to the exit located near the Valravn and follow the path to the Marina. They do take reservations.
Lastly, you most likely noticed on your drive into Cedar Point other eatery’s you may enjoy. But to get to them you would have to drive and then repark. Possibly losing your spot and forced to park even further away from the main gate. Or you can get lucky and find something closer. A roll of the dice as they say. Coolers are no longer welcomed in the park. But you could pack one. Keep it in the trunk and eat in the parking lot. Just saying.
As mentioned, there are hotel and campground options for longer stays and an outdoor water park. But those are best reviewed individually.
In summation – If you’re a Roller Coaster enthusiast then this is the park for you. Even if you’re not. You can still find plenty of other rides to match your thrill level. What can make this park even better would be the addition of a good dark ride and some water ride options (at the time of this review the only water ride left – Thunder Canyon was closed). Also, Cedar point does need better in the park restaurant style food options with servers and indoor temperature-controlled dining rooms.
Additional notes – All of the ride queues are outdoors. The queues do offer some shade and misters. In the summertime prepare yourself for long waits in the hot sun. Staying hydrated and applying sunscreen are a must.
Cedar Point is a big park. You can have a great time if you come prepared. A day of walking and standing in long lines can wear anyone out. Choose comfortable shoes and comfortable clothing that is suited for the expected weather on your trip. Pace yourself. My best suggestion is to be prepared before arriving to CP. Look over their website and read the reviews. Have a short list of must do rides and then coast the rest of the day. Plan how you want to handle your meals. If you can afford it the Fast Lane options (Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus) do help cut down the wait times dramatically. But they are expensive. I would say the all day drink option is a good deal. I'll leave the meal plan alone. If you stay at a CP property you may be eligible for early entry. You can get on some rides an HR before the rest of the public is allowed to enter the park. But not every ride is available. Check the CP website for more information on early entry.
I hope this helps. Enjoy!

Cedar Point overall was clean, but the bathrooms were horrible. Cedar Shores' water rides need work.

We picked a good day to visit. The day after Memorial Day.Not a bit crowded.Grandkids and greats were able to ride tons of rides without long wait times.

What an experience coming from Scotland to Cedar Point. Never experienced anything quite like it. So much to do. Thrill rides and the drinks refresh every 15 minutes is a fantastic idea. Maverick, Thrill 2 and Sirens curse were amazing. My 11 year old was on more than me. Staying with friends who made the recommendation to go over to Ohio to this place was well worth it.

Family spent the day visiting the Cedar Point theme park. Wife and teenage daughter spent the majority of the day riding the various rollercoasters and other thrill rides. Younger daughter and I enjoyed the less exhiliarting rides and actvities (such as those at Camp Snoopy or the Kids' Kingdom). Park was busy the day that we visited, but it wasn't so terribly busy that we had to wait very long for the rides. Most of the lowkey rides were <15 minutes to wait. Wife and older daugher had longer lines for the rollercoasters, though.
Rides were fun. Food was pretty good but pricy. Cost nearly $100 to buy lunch for our family of four. Additional costs for snacks and drinks during other times of the day. They do offer some meal deal options, which we may need to review and consider if and when you go back. Overall, an enjoyable day but a very costly one as well. Not sure if we could say we got our money's worth as we left...

Terrible experience, pay for parking?! $20 for 3 chicken tenders? Price gauging is insane here. I never seen a company so greedy. Oh and guess what, if you don’t get a season pass (200$), you get roasted in the sun and wait in lines for 2 hours. Meanwhile the people with season passes get fans and shade covering them. It’s pure pay to win structure here, no a viable option for everyday people who wanna spend a day having fun. No I spent money to be miserable and wait in line. Ridiculous.

My family and I have been going to cedar point for yearrrrrss. We used to stay at Breakers hotel and have had a great experience! We have started staying at the campground which I will say is very nice and clean however the pool was disgusting the whole time we were there it was never clean but what I was most disappointed about was that the lines were sooo long and half the rides were shut down all three days we were there. I’ve never seen this happen before. What is going on?! Last year the lines were great. We bought fast pass and didn’t even need them! I hope you guys figure this out! It’s sad. I’ve always loved cedar point and have alway raved about it but that was just unacceptable.

Lots of rides down at different times of the day so it was hard to circle back around to something without a lot of extra walking. Not enough trains running on rides so lines felt really long even if the park wasn’t that crowded.
So difficult to find a refresh station open for a refill on drinks. Lots of food places closed. App not accurate with wait times.
Overall, the day was pretty good because the rides are of course awesome, but the rest of the experience overshadows that and frustrates you quite a bit.

Cedar Point is legendary and the rides are fantastic. Easily dethroned many rides on my previous top ten list. It could, however, use some things to make it fantastic.
The atmosphere is blah. Little theme walking though the park and zero theme standing in lines. I'm not saying that it needs to be Universal Studios (best cue lines), but at least put some effort into looking at something in the hour to two hour waits. People were passing out from the heat because shaded areas, in line, are sporadic. I'm not about to spend close to a grand to get a fast pass for my family of four.
Besides trying to find a place to cool off from the head, the most annoying thing that I encountered was the ride time accuracy. The app would say a line is >15 min, we spend over an hour in line. The app says 120 min wait, we got on in 45 minutes. After being fooled multiple times, I made up a formula of (cue line time on app + fast pass time on app + 20 minutes = actual line time)
If you are into roller coasters, making a pilgrimage here is a must

1. Rented a cabana without a working safe. It just wouldn't open. No one could help when I asked, and they didn't offer any options to fix the situation.
2. During our time in the cabana, no one came by to take an order or anything.
3. I know park food is expensive, but paying almost $80 for lunch for two adults and a child is pretty gaudy.
4. There was a storm that rolled through, and no one on the staff had any idea what was going on or when things would reopen, so we just left.
5. My wife uses a walker and has some considerable accessibility issues due to a neurological disorder, and there were no open wheelchair accessible parking spots. I can't just leave her on the side of the road, so we had to unpack her walker at a far-away spot and walk about 200 yards before reaching the front gate, which put a big strain on her, physically. There were no accessibility staff available to help anywhere at any time during the day... we were on our own.
I'm extremely disappointed on every level with our day at the park. This was our first time at CP. I organized the trip for a big family group with the plans of doing a big trip every summer to CP, but I can't imagine coming back since we were met with some pretty poor service and bad park design at every. single. turn. during our four day trip.

I was very impressed with the park, however when I was entering the park to buy a ticket I tolled the girl behind the ticket counter that I would like to buy the least expensive ticket because I was only going to be there a few hours to watch my grandkids, not going on rides, She sold me a $95 ticket and should could have told me to buy It on my phone and it would have been $40 less.

Cedar point was an amazing experience, the rides and the different stuffs to do are so cool, the food is amazing as well, i just spend my whole summer over there, is the only fun stuff to do in Ohio

Cedar Point is kind of legendary. It definitely has its reputation. There are lots of rides to ride. Not all of them were open but the ones we did were pretty great. It’s such a nice setting on Lake Erie that you get great views when you get to the top of whatever you are riding. With the military tickets costing only 45.00 a piece, you cannot beat a day at Cedar Point. The weather was nice and the rides are really fun. Something for all levels and ages. Raptor, Millennial Force, Steel Vengeance, Magnum and others were all great rides. It’s as classic as I expected it to be. It’s worth the trip.

The last time I visited this park, I was heavier and could not fit on several coasters. I have since lost weight and wanted to go back and ride those rides. I’m so glad I did; a lifelong dream was fulfilled.
That being said… we started off getting hit with a $25 parking fee. Nothing chaps my hide like charging me for a place to hold my vehicle while I spend my money at your establishment; and 25 bucks was a hard hit.
Staff was not friendly at all. We encountered one friendly young man at an Auntie Ann’s who was very kind -his co-workers were twerps-but he was nice. Beyond that, rude rude rude.
Dipping’ Dots were approx $8 for the regular size; a pretzel was around $8, but we did eat at a pizza/calzone/pasta place towards the entrance that was very good. My calzone (they called it something else) was 13 bucks and it was delicious. Water was free around the park; you just had to ask for it.
Don’t bring cash; they don’t take it. You have to swipe a card.
One of the coasters (could possibly be more but I know of one for certain) requires you to rent a locker for your things. The locker was $10. I’m almost positive the locker was for three hours but my daughter didn’t see that anywhere so just be aware to watch for that. One line we waited in was over two hours. If you could get by with a Fanny pack, I would try wearing a Fanny pack. They are popular again or at least around there they were and probably for that reason. If I go back, I’m wearing a pack bringing very little in it and putting it under my shirt. I’m not paying for another locker.
Millennium Force made it worth it. Maverick made me glad I had Ibuprofen. The Cork Screw isn’t worth more than a 15 min wait; you pay too much-move on. But these are my opinions, and I’m in my 50’s so you may feel differently. Whatever your favorite is, have fun and create memories!

Went on a Military Day on Memorial Day weekend. As a veteran I got in free, and our son and granddaughter got in half-price as my guests. So that was nice. Cedar Point has a wide range of rides for all ages and tolerances for "thrill" (they even have a guide rating the thrill level of each ride, which is helpful). Had a good lunch at the Grand Pavilion next to the beach. The downside of the experience was that even though there weren't an extreme number of people at the park, ride wait times tended to be quite long because it seemed the rides were understaffed. A number of the rides had just one attendant, and it seemed that loading/unloading would have been much quicker with additional ride attendants. Perhaps this was at least in part due to the park gearing up for the season. We stood in line for the ferris wheel for a half-hour with only about twenty people in line ahead of us (there are 36 cars on the wheel), and the line was hardly moving at all due to the inscrutable way they were (or were not) unloading and loading the cars. We finally gave up on the ferris wheel because it looked like we would be standing there for another half-hour.

Awesome roller coasters, 15 of them and 2 or 3 were down or being replaced. Buy your tickets online or it’s $80 at the gate. If u don’t want to wait 2-3 hours for a ride the fast pass for $139 is expensive but def cuts your time in line. Long lines for food cuz of staff shortages so better to bring your food.

We arrived here at opening and stayed until closing! It was such an amazing day! We got on Steel Vengance, Maverick, Gemini, Millennium Force, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Rougarou, Iron Dragon, Skyhawk, Power Tower, Corkscrew, Valravn, Raptor, and Gatekeeper twice! This was on a Tuesday in August without fast passes! We rode a lot more roller coasters than I was expecting! Every restaurant we went to with the meal plan we purchased had good food and kind staff. Also, the park is so nicely maintained, well designed and is just a pretty park in general. On almost every major roller coaster you get stunning views of the surrounding Lake Erie. It was not my fist time here and it will definitely not be my last! I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves roller coasters like myself or just to anyone that wants to have a fun day!

Experience was terrible dnot think Yuu gone lose something on a ride & retrieve it the staff there sucks & the security my first ever time going lost my keys on rollercoaster & did not retrieve the staff made me wait until the amusement park was closed at night to search for my keys when I lost them in the day it made it so hard for me to find them then another thing when Yuu lose your stuff & Yuu know where it’s at it’s not like they going to let Yuu in & find out they wanna do it for Yuu I would never be returning to cedar point worst experience ever

Cedar point is an all inclusive amusement and resort area great 👍 amusement
Parm rides are more for teens and adults also a child section theme PEANUTS . Water park was not too crowded on weekdays great time. Stayed at express hotel about 5 minutes to point. Accommodation were reasonable plenty of eateries in area. Suggest getting drink all day 16.00 it's also available in a package when you register.

So I've been to Cedar Point several times as a teenager, but this latest trip was my first visit as an adult, and more importantly my first trip with a 4 year old.
I was so surprised at how many rides are available for someone who is only 39in. tall. Super impressed and my kiddo had a blast. I will note, there did not seem to be enough staff to keep even all of the kiddie rides open - but they seemed to cycle around, so while one thing she wanted to ride would be closed for a while, I think we pretty much saw everything open up at one point or another.
As a teenager, I never noticed there are 3 dedicated separate kiddie sections of the park. A lot of the rides are very similar, just with different colors/decorations....but that changed it up enough that my kid rode like a dozen versions of just going in a circle on a new type of vehicle (helicopter, plane, motorcyle, car, etc). But to be clear, she LOVED them all, and I'm happy if my kiddo is happy. Also worth noting that most of the kiddie rides I could not ride with her.....and the things I could ride with her made me incredibly dizzy lol.
There are two kid roller coasters, which I was quite impressed with, and she loved. Both of the kiddie coasters take a picture too, so for any future trips I will seriously consider the photo pass.
With small kids - DO NOT MISS the Frontier area (pics included). Lots to see and do. My toddlers favorite was mining for gems (she collects rocks and this experience was really great for her), and the pen they can get into with the goats. There's other interesting stuff there too for adults - glass shop, candle shop (where older kids can actually make a candle). Also I was super surprised at what a kick she got out of the talking outhouse lol.
Final notes for visiting with very small kids - there are quite a few rides outside of the kiddie area they can ride, just not the real coasters obviously. But at least at 39in tall, my 4-year-old was able to ride quite a few of the sort of carnival type rides. And those I could ride with her, so that was nice.
Also - it takes a LONG time to load, even when there aren't lines. Making sure all the kids are strapped in takes time. This probably would be my big complaint....but obviously safety matters, and I'm glad they make sure each kid is strapped in.

This place is completely underwhelming. First, it's a big concrete slab with some rides on it. There is hardly any shade to be found. You bake the entire time. Second, everything is extra. Want to skip the lines? It's more expensive that the ticket. Want shade? There was a sign for some VIP place where you could get out of the sun. Want drinks? Those don't come with the all day dining. There is hardly anything to do if thrill rides aren't your thing. We're so sorry that we wasted precious vacation time here.

First off, DO NOT BUY FAST LANE PASS. Years ago it was great, going almost to the front of the line, but hey for 3x ticket price in addition to ticket price you deserve it, right.
Then they started holding the Fast Lane line to let 50 regular riders thru, like the 2 of us make a big difference.
NOW they have recut the lines and Fast Lane only cuts off maybe 5 minutes and you join in with regular lane very far back. EVERY RIDE was like this EXCEPT top thrill 2, which takes you straight to the stairs of the podium. That’s great but NOT worth $159. The fast lane pass for $115 does not include Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force, Valravn, Siren's Curse and Top Thrill 2, which are the ones with longer lines. Those are WEEKDAY PRICES—SATURDAY is $155 & $209!
The meal plan..depends on how much you eat…”all day dining” for $34.99, does NOT include DRINKS, premium with drinks is $46.99-we ate once -meal would’ve been $15, had to buy own drink so NOT worth it to us, ((and beware, during HALLOWEEKENDS in prev years, food lines are insane bc people ‘want their moneys worth” I guess, and before we even ate, like 7p they were OUT OF FOOD, everywhere. We were able to get cold fries at one place near the front.))
DO NOT BUY PHOTOPASS. $34.99. Waste of time, 1/2 photos you can’t see yourself, I purchased ONE, again they added one for each ticket which we obviously don’t need with 2 people riding together. Again customer service said they ‘refund’ one-they didn’t. You can’t snap a pic of the photos on screen like 90% of the people do. Got cedar point watermark on it, so what, not going on your wall.
So GO EARLY. You can prepay parking online but BEWARE-they added parking pass for EACH ticket. SCAM. “Non refundable” customer service does nothing-they say they will credit the card just to get you out of there and of course you leave and there’s nothing you can do about it. TAKE FAR RIGHT LANE, everyone will be taking resort lanes on left—go right you’ll save 10 minutes. If you didn’t prepay stay left.
Hit all the big coasters first while lines are shorter in a—magnum is rickety, blue streak is rickety-skip it. SIREN keeps getting stuck I’d skip that. Steel vengeance, maverick, millennium and raptor and top thrill 2, are the fastest, smoothest, best rides in the park.
All this aside, I’ve been going to cedar point my whole life and while I don’t like the way they run it now, it’s the best rides in one place and beats Disney any way.

This is a beautifully maintained amusement park with a wide selection of rides along with very well-maintained grounds. If you enjoy thrill rides you’ll probably love this place. If fare style rides are more your thing there’s definitely several of those. If you’re after kitty rides there’s absolutely rides for the kiddos. The midway is typical with lots of little restaurants and amusement. I have a season pass to this family of amusement parks which got me in and then I sprung for the fast pass.
I was very impressed that the restrooms were uniformly spotless all across the park as were the grounds. The ride attendants seem to control the rides in an orderly fashion. The rides themselves are imaginative and similar to what you see at any large amusement park. There’s lots of different areas that you can go to depending on your taste for more hard-core action or a softer more family style vibe. I did get a soda and it was $40 for the day. I got a funnel cake with no extra anything and that was about $18. Like I said you never go to an amusement park on the cheap. All the little shops were very clean and well attended as were the restaurants and the rides. There is no lack of staffing here.
Unfortunately we asked the staff several questions all across the park and no none of the staff seem to know the answers of basic questions like what direction was one of the major attractions . That was disappointing that they didn’t seem to know their own Park very well.
I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that the prices are highway robbery . It’s sad that one must expect to be robbed in order to attend a roller coaster park but that appears to be the way of things. If you can swallow the fact that they want an arm and a leg your firstborn and perhaps your dog in terms of cost you’ll have a great time . If cost is an issue don’t go to a park of any kind let alone Cedar point.
The other thing that was shocking to us that happened was watching for security guards scream and I don’t mean anything less than full volume screaming at four young men who are not actually inside the park and we’re running across the pavement towards the gate. Considering they weren’t even inside the park I thought the volume the security guards used was unnecessary. Yes I understand that running is a risk and it’s not allowed inside the park but the boys weren’t in the park although I admit they were on Park property. However I still felt that the response was absolutely unacceptable. Security guards need to chill the F out. These are kids after all.

The ridge of the Russian mountains, if you like adrenaline is the right place.
It is not a theme park because the focus is the Russian mountains. The opening hours are very good as well.

Me and my friend took a 2 hour trip from Michigan to Cedar Point and that same day after we went on a couple rides we decided to to go on the Millinium Force, Front row we were stuck for almost a whole hour after getting down from the top of the ride we were given Free refills for a day and 2 Fast lane tickets. It was almost 8-9 and we weren’t even able to use them because our bus were leaving soon. After coming home we found out the day before I found out my neighbor went on the same ride and got stuck. What makes us mad is that they put other lives in danger. My life is worth a fountain drink.

Love every roller coaster food was outstanding the only thing that sucked about cedar point was top thrill 2 was closed but we still had a very good time and looking forward to the new roller coaster sirens curse in 2025.

I've been to a lot of amusement parks. This one is probably the best.
I've been on a lot of roller coasters. Steel Vengeance is probably the best. My one tip: ride it at night. You'll thank me.

One of the best places you can visit in our city.
Worth all time you have and best one yet...especially last few months when it got even better.
Reccomended

My wife and I moved to Florida 20 years ago and visited here one last time before we left. Now we came back to see what has changed.
While this is not out cedar point, it is just as good ( the rides are definitely better) now.
Millennium Force is still the best coaster ever, Steel Vengeance gives it a run for its money. Valravn, Maverick, and Gatekeeper are newer ones we haven’t ridden before, but they were awesome. Had a lot of fun just like we used to. Some were complaining about breakdowns, and while had a few, they didn’t last long. When we went to universal studios, their rides were down for 3-4 hours, so this was nothing.
Also the new restaurants we tried were very good. Saw a lot of complaints about the prices. Welcome to an amusement park. They all have high prices and they alll have minimum staffing since COVID because people don’t wanna work.
We got the lightning pass and it was great. Never waited longer than 20 minutes (the regular line on some of the major rides was 45-90 minutes), so that was money well spent. It did seem to take the staff a long time to get the cars moving though. Nice to see them having some fun, but some were not really paying attention and weren’t very helpful. Also, my wife asked why all the people were going in the exit gate. He said that they were handicapped and said they can’t wait in lines, it the the ones we saw were all young kids that went up in big groups who were not handicapped (they had climb stairs also) and we saw them running around and jumping around all day in the park, but they can’t wait in lines. He said they can’t discriminate or ask them what their handicap is. They should have to provide something from a doctor. They were clearly slamming the park.
Saw some complains about bugs and things falling from the trees. Again, welcome to an amusement park. Happens when you are outside at all amusement parks, and yes, there were a lot of them.
Had some issues with the Funpix (still have some) as they had a couple of new people up front who didn’t know how to do it, but had some excellent people out there who went out of their way to help to help you and did it with a smile on their face.
Overall, had a great experience. The roller coasters are the best on the planet (Universal Studios has a couple of good ones now, but now as good as these) and the whole vibe here felt great. Felt like it used to, but with that excitement of so many new things.

Jake and Guti at Last Chance Saloon was AWESOME employees. Great customer service. Awesome rides, great value. Can’t beat the day we had here

We spent most of our time waiting to get on rides, because fast pass holders and people with disabilities jumped the line on a constant basis. My season pass purchase feels like a scam, since everyone and their brother can jump the line ahead of me.

Visiting the park after most of the kids are back in school made the lineups much smaller and we didn’t need a fast pass. We got on the rides within 10-15 min aside from steel vengeance and Maverick which were 30 mins at the most. These rides plus millennium force were top notch!
The food was decent, sure overpriced but to be expected. We always found something to eat and drink. Had the drink pass from our hotel which was worth it on a hot day.
The train was an unexpected surprise. They had their Halloween displays and we were amused by this. I’d love to come back in Oct!
This park is worth the journey if you love coasters. Just go off season if you can to beat the lineups.
Will be back for sure!

I've always wanted to go to Cedar Point, and I had the chance to make a half-day visit on Independence Day weekend. Since it was a busy day and given my limited time, I purchased the Fast Lane Plus. While it was quite expensive, I thought it was worth it, and I used it for thirteen rides in just under six hours.
The roller coasters were my main reason for visiting, and I was able to ride eleven of the park's eighteen coasters. Unfortunately, Top Thrill 2 was closed the entire day, but there are plenty of other thrills, from classic woodens like Blue Streak and Gemini to hyper-coasters like Magnum XL and Millennium Force.
My favorite was definitely Maverick, with its launches, tight turns, and excellent theming. Close runners-up were Steel Vengeance and Gate Keeper. Aside from the many rides, the park is well-kept, and there are a variety of food outlets. If you are a coaster enthusiast, Cedar Point definitely needs to be on your bucket list!

Lovely hotel Staff are all amazing Rebecca, Naz,⁷ Mary, Josh went over and above. If we were to run a 'hospitality' competition I do not think it would be possible to place anyone second or third. They all deserve shared first place.
Great place to stay.

The lines are so long that it wastes your days waiting for both rides, food and drinks. The barbecue place was excellent but we didn’t get there until late Sunday afternoon before dinner. It was amazing and the best food all weekend. The fries place ran out of fries earlier that same day. Too many drunken fools. I was just so so impressed. I usually love it here.

Cedar Point isn’t just a theme park to me—it’s home. I grew up with this legendary park right up the road, spent summers riding coasters, grabbing elephant ears, and even worked at Hotel Breakers during my younger years. So believe me when I say: it’s still just as magical (and way more thrilling) than ever.
The lineup of coasters is unmatched—Top Thrill 2 is pure speed-fueled insanity, Steel Vengeance remains my #1 for smooth airtime and chaos, and Siren’s Curse (the newest beast) is a wild new addition that proves this park isn’t slowing down.
Even after all these years, the nostalgia hits hard walking through the Midway or seeing the beach along Lake Erie. It’s a beautiful balance of old-school charm and cutting-edge thrills.
Pro tips: Go early, take advantage of early entry if staying on-site, and splurge on Fast Lane if you want to maximize your coaster count. And don’t skip BackBeatQue for lunch—the pulled pork mac & cheese is elite.
From growing up just down the road to returning now as a seasoned park guest, Cedar Point has always delivered the excitement. It’s not just the Roller Coaster Capital of the World—it’s part of my story.

My son and I are roller coaster fans and the coasters did not disappoint. We went for two days (Monday and Tuesday) and rode every coaster and our favorites 2 or 3 times. Not as much to do if you are not a fan of roller coasters (or older than 6 - they do have a good selection of kiddie rides).
Food left a lot to be desired. The hamburger they kept advertising on the monitors in line for rides as “the best in the world” tasted like warm, wet cardboard. Pizza was ok. We bought the meal plans which say you can eat every 90 minutes but we didn’t realize they did not include snacks, only meals, so if you want a pretzel or an ice cream cone you still pay full price with the meal plan.
Overall I would recommend if you love roller coasters but be prepared to overpay for food that is underwhelming.

Cedar Point is one of the funniest amusement parks I have ever been. Their roller coasters are the best. In the park there are too many restaurants for everyone. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Cedar Point Amusement Park ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sylvia 5-star = sensational

As we waited in the line I wondered who really is in charge of this park? From the first step into the park I was looking for a map so the family can make a plan. Come To find out maps are only available in the cedar point app. Ok so we had to take time out to download the app make an account and log in to see the park map. On to the first ride!! Excited and adrenaline running after the ride I stepped back out of the general public to have a cigarette A park employee comes up to me and said I could not smoke here. I said oh sorry where is the nearest designated smoke area? I was informed that Cedar Point is now a smoke free park.
- Very disappointed I did not know that information before I booked a family trip and knowing that I was going to be in the park for 12 hours I would need a cigarette or 2..smokers would now have to find the nearest exit out of the park very inconvenient. Ok now I have to detour to find an exit out of the way just to have a cigarette. Passing by a Saloon I thought yes a nice cold adult beverage and a cigarette but no that is not allowed anymore. So I bypass the saloon (already more money in my pocket, not for Cedar Point) after 30 minutes back in the park with the family
- on to the next ride!
Steel Vengeance
The worst experience I ever had at Cedar Point. Yes they do announce on a loud speaker to put all backpacks and loose items in a locker but you better have a card to pay, if not you will have to now go find a kiosk to change your cash into a card! Taking more time away from all the "Fun" at the park.
-off to find a kiosk and wait in another line to give your money to a machine so you can use a card to rent a locker
-another inconvenience!
Ok back in line. An hour waiting we come up to a metal detector with a employee standing there, with all the new rules and trying to rush to get a card and a locker and back in line my cousin honestly forgot she had her phone in her pocket so she went back to a locker to put her phone in there.
We get up to the metal detector and the employee told my cousin she has to take her prescription glasses off and put them in a locker. My cousin informed the employee she can not see with out them and will take them off once she gets on the ride and hold on to them.
The employee responded to that by saying No you have to put them in a locker you and your whole group have to get out of line so you can put your glasses in a locker. The employee held up the line trying to get anyone that had already went through the metal detector to get out of line.
People behind us were in disbelief that they made not only our family get out of line because of prescription glasses we were now standing with other people that got split up from there family because they had prescription glasses!!
- And to top off this terrible experience when you walk through the metal detector they are ready with a Wand Hands up. Turn around. We felt as if we were going to jail not on a amusement park ride!
Off the ride on to the next adventure! Fries!! Yes went to get fries $10.00 ok here you go $10.00
No cash said employee this is a "CashFree Park". Wow (more money in my own pocket) No fries,no arcade games,no carnival games and no souvenirs! I must say I did save alot of money because of this new CashFree Park

A friend of mine had not been to visit me in several years, and he wanted to visit some of the amusement parks around me. We started our vacation at Cedar Point. My last visit here was not the best, but I was willing to go back to see if things were any better. Entry into the park was fairly easy, especially with my cedar fair pass. It was a fairly crowded day, especially for the middle of the week. Sadly, a couple of the roller coasters were down this day. As the day progressed, three or four others went down and never did reopen. I do understand that park managers at all parks want their guests to have a fun but safe time. However, I ran into this problem on my last visit with several rides closed for the day. It was very frustrating to say the least!
The rides seemed to be in fairly good condition, though the gauging was a little off on a couple coasters, making for a bit of a rough ride.
Most of the employees were friendly enough. It is tough to work at an amusement park. I know. I worked at one years ago. Some of the workers could smile a bit more as others did.
The park was fairly clean. Food was another story. Amusement park food is usually not the best, and Cedar Point falls into the average category for park food.
Overall, this visit was better than my last visit here, but it is still not where it used to be in terms of the quality amusement park that it once was. Of the nine parks we visited on this trip, Cedar Point would come in sixth place. Sorry, CP fans and coaster enthusiasts, but this is where they ranked based upon my experienced this day.

Maintain your rides when closed. The notion of staying in line for a long time magnum, steel vengeance. MAVRICK, Gemini only to be told to get off because of a maintenance issues is total BS!!!!

My family of 6 - myself, my husband, and 4 kids ages 15, 9, and twin 5 year olds - began the day at Cedar Point promptly at 10am this morning. The first ride I took my newly-48-inch-high 5 year old daughter on as her first roller coaster ride was Blue Streak. LITTLE did I know I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of her on her first ride. I took a brief 5 second video (still on my phone as proof) as the ride began. The ride then abruptly STOPS a couple minutes later mid-way up the incline. Everyone is nervously looking around like what is wrong, frantically thinking something is wrong with the ride or we are stuck or God knows what. My daughter becomes worried about what was happening as well.
Low and behold, one of the KIDS conducting the ride marches up the stairs and tells me to hand over my phone; that “security” will have it at the end of the ride. The KID walks back, the ride proceeds, and there is a “security” officer at the end of the ride with my phone. This “security” officer tells me that I violated their phone policy and that “they told you to put your phone in the bins and you REFUSED” then “they told you to put it away and you REFUSED.”
I was SHOCKED!!! Excuse me, they NEVER told me to put it in the bin and they told me to secure my hat, sunglasses, and phone which I did with NO problem. Either the KID or the “security” officer are severe liars!!! Long story short, after taking my license and writing down ALL my information, the “secruity” officer calls his “boss” to see if I’m going to be ejected from the park. Sure enough, I’m ejected from the park!!!! I am walked out by the “security” office while hand in hand with my 5 year old daughter. As if I’m some criminal!!! I am offended as a MOTHER and WOMAN to be humiliated and LIED about by these KIDS and “security” officer. I was NEVER issued a warning*; I never knew having a cell phone on a ride was bad, and had I known I would have absolutely not have done it. I have NEVER had any encounter with (true) law enforcement in my LIFE!!!! And to think I wasn’t even given a verbal warning* or anything of the sort as a FIRST time offender of their “phone policy.”
I get that there are safety issues; I get that Cedar Point has had a LOT of bad publicity with their many “accidents” in the past few years. But rather than SEPARATING a MOTHER from her CHILDREN and family for the rest of the day with ZERO warning*, ZERO understanding, and ZERO professionalism or honesty, maybe Cedar Point should try focusing on the marijuana that wreaks around the park; the filthy dirty bathrooms; the attitudes of their KID employees and sexist, racism, xenophobic “security” officers, and then we’ll talk about cell phones.
And let me also explain - I get NOT to use the phone while whizzing up and down the roller coaster. I get it can be a projectile and hurt others. I was not (nor would I ever) actually record or take pictures during the coaster part of the ride or deliberately ever put anyone’s life in harm or danger. I get that some people may not have that kind of common sense and they have to set “examples” for others that might hold the phones throughout the rides, etc. I get it. Okay, well if you’re that afraid of something happening…BAN PHONES FROM THE PARK!!! Or how about you have a VISUAL QUE once ON the ride saying not to have cell phones out. They have signs saying to keep your arms and legs inside the ride. Am I going to get ejected if I stick an arm outside of the ride like everyone else does? Be consistent in your “warnings!!!” If it’s THAT big of an offense - make it THAT big of a WARNING!!!
I put an * next to the word “warning” throughout the above text because I want to make sure I am as accurate as can be - I was made aware that they do issue warnings. Warnings in the form of a blurred out, low volume speaker system announcing who knows what while standing in the ride line(s). I guess it is also listed somewhere in their “rules & statutes” section on their website. I’m sure we all read that before entering the park.
Cedar Point is not a family park. Cedar Point needs to figure out how to treat their patrons that are good family people who may make an honest mistake while paying ridiculously high prices.

I had an amazing time on all the roller coasters there! I tried them all.
The only downside was that the park was super crowded, and I had to wait a long time in line to play.
Oh, and the parking lot is a bit of a hike from the park entrance.

Over all our visit was great! There was only 1 thing that was kind of upsetting, I guess I didn't realize when I was booking everything online that the park tickets can be combined with the drink pass and the Waterpark was not. So we had the drink all day bands for 5 people for the park but not the Waterpark. When I asked about this they said you have to purchase them separately at 16.99 each!! Crazy!! If they have a "ride and refresh" pass for the park why not have a "sip and slide" pass for the Waterpark? Also if they add that pass and use my slogan I need compensation🤣

View was incredible! Trip of a lifetime, lived in ohio my whole life and have been missing out the entire time! Will be back. Kids loved it.

I would totally recommend going here if you love amusement parks. It is like the Disneyland of the Midwest.

This was my first time back to Cedar Point in about 10 years. Sadly, it was a bit disappointing. We still had fun and enjoyed our time. We did get fast passes for a Sunday and it was worth it for sure. We were able to ride a lot more rides in the few hours we were there compared to what it would have been. I had higher expectations for adult and teen things to do for Halloweekend. It is more for small children. We did enjoy the fall decor and props throughout the park. We also liked being able to use the app to see wait times and if a ride was down or not. Traffic was never bad coming in or out. Getting in just minutes before opening was quick. Food lines were never long. The BIGGEST thing for us is how often the rides were down. I see a lot of reviews with the same issues. They permanently closed the dragster which we knew going in but then they also had the Millennium Force down all day. It never opened. Then, sporadically, the other larger rides like Steele vengeance, Maverick, and Valravn were down many times throughout the day. We had delays on some rides but many would just be down for 20-90min. When you are already waiting 30 min for a ride during the delay (with fast pass so could have been longer if we didn’t have that) to it turning into it being down for a lengthy time is disappointing. Especially with how much we spent to be there for the day between all of us, parking, food, fast pass, admission, drink packages, etc.! Many of the rides have become very “jerky” and painful to ride. It will probably take a few years of new smooth rides coming out and maybe more staffing for mechanical issues (or something?) for me to be willing to go back.

Pro Tip: Use the Cedar Point app for the all day meal plan! (The meal plan is a good value)
I’ve been going to Cedar Point since 1974 and have taken our kids, and now grandkids, just about every year. Still, I miss some thing or get turned around in the park.
The app is helpful in identifying eateries that are on the all day meal plan: Tap the restaurant or food booth and it will tell you if it’s on the meal plan.
We had four adults and four children. Each adult purchased a meal plan and we ate every 90 minutes, sharing the food with the kids.
It worked really well because we were never too full to go on the big rides.
(Kids ages were 6 to 12.)
The average entrée and side runs about $18 and the meal plan is $34. Water cups are free.
We were all impressed with the ride attendants-every one, from the big coasters to the Kiddie Kingdom was kind and professional.
The park is clean and well-run— Cedar Point never disappoints!

I've been coming here since I was too short to ride the coasters and I'll keep coming back until I'm too old or frail to ride. Sure the Magnum now shakes, sure Top Thrill Dragster is dead, sure The Mantis now has seats but all the new rides more than make up for any of that.

I have lived in Ohio my entire life and this was my first visit to Cedar Point! I am not much of a roller coaster lover, but my husband is and we wanted to take our kids for a fun getaway. My six year old loved every minute of it. There was even plenty for my one year old to do. We have season passes now, so we will definitely be back!

Nice theme park for the kids. Was here with my wife and is very impressive and has lots to do. Highly recommended stop if you are in the area.

We took a Cedar Fair park vacation this summer and visited 3 of their parks. Cedar Point was definitely our favorite. It is huge and has so many attractions that are fun for all ages. On really busy days when all the most popular rides were too busy we were still able to find stuff to do. The employees were all very respectful and friendly. I was very impressed with how efficiently they load rides here compared to some other parks. We are from Florida so we're used to Orlando theme parks and usually other parks we go to around the country just don't measure up. However, this one did! Cedar Point is just as good as any Orlando park. Our only complaint is that Steel Vengeance breaks down way too often.

Planned a Monday, Tuesday early summer Cedar Point trip from California. Six Flags Magic Mountain is our home park. Cedar Point is head and shoulders above Six Flags. Operations were all at peak efficiency. One caveat is we paid for Fast Lane Plus which cut Millennium Force and Maverick wait in half, Valrayvn by 3/4 or more. It maybe trimmed 15-25 minutes off Steel Vengence. For Gatekeeper it was 15-30 off the wait. We did the Fast Lane on Monday focusing on all these marquee rides. On Tuesday we rode all the “lesser wait time” rides. This system worked well for us. We also stayed at Castaway Bay which was fine. It gave us early access to the park which was ok less so for the rides and more so for our non-fast lane day where we could get to the back of the park to line up for Maverick and Steel Vengence before the hoards came. Anyway, it was a fabulous trip.

Cedar Point is truly one of if not the greatest amusement parks in the world. If you love coasters, there simply isn't another park that has more options for you. If calmer or kid-friendly rides are your thing, there is also plenty to do. If you aren't a ride person, the live entertainment options also put this park on top. It's a very large park (acreage-wise) so this allows them to do some nice things with the scenery. Frontier Trail is a wonderful shaded walk with plenty to take in. Make sure to take the train ride back from Frontierland to the center of the park as it's got a fun skeleton-themed attraction built into it. HalloWeekends is an amazing event. If you're headed out there, be aware that Saturdays are always the busiest, craziest days. Fridays (while limited hours) often are less crowded and still have all of the rides and haunted events available. Although not all of the haunted houses are open on Sundays it is the best day to go if you are very worried about crowds. Again, the live entertainment during HalloWeekends is excellent. I saw another reviewer call out the Midnight Syndicate show as being exceptional.

My child and I were extremely disappointed with our experience at the Camp Snoopy performance. After waiting in line to take a picture with Snoopy, we were told that they had to leave, leaving my child distraught. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. It's clear that they prioritize time management over creating truly enjoyable experiences for guests. As a result, I no longer have any interest in visiting this park. Moreover, the long wait times for rides and the expensive meal options make it far from budget-friendly.

I was thinking Cedar Point was an average amusement park but I was wrong!! This place is the best. My hubby and I were very impressed by cleanliness and atmosphere. The lanscaping was very nice and nothing was run down.
We all loves the rides. I thought even the kiddie rides were very good.
Overall, the park has a great upbeat feeling and we would definitely return.

Amazing amusement park if you're into roller coasters. It's debatable if one can find here the best one in the world, but it offers some serious contenders, I'd say at least 10. So It's certanly top notch in terms of quantity. Beware though, this park is not a theme park, it comes nowhere near Europa Park or Disneyland. This is for excitement seekers only, so if you're one you won't be bothered. You will be, though, by the food, which is expensive and dull. Yet one should not go to amusement parks for food...

We came and yes there was some weather but there is 0 communication about what is going on in the park. There were a few passing showers and if there is lightening then announce that. The communication to people is the worst I’ve ever seen from a park to at least let families know what is going on and how long the waits could be. We rode 4 rides in 7 hours. This was ridiculously bad.

Terrible experience. Drove all the way from Missouri, bought the parking, tickets, and fast passes because we only had one day. ALL the roller coasters were closed!! When a couple coasters finally opened we tried to use our fast passes and they said we needed the special roller coaster fast pass and sent us to the end of the line! Terrible experience and they wouldn't give us any money back or even future credit.

The park was very clean and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and made the park even more fun. The ride operators were thorough in checking restraints and everything we ate there was very good.

Beautiful, amazing, historic amusement park. We live over 800 miles from Cedar Point and had been wanting to visit for many years. The park did not disappoint. It is a beautiful park and I look forward to returning.

The Park Pros: Great rides. Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, and Val Ravin are unparalleled - especially the location of being on Lake Erie. Excellent shows - grateful for those experiences as many other parks have largely abandoned them. Beautiful flowers planted in many locations and music while walking around enhanced the overall experience. We stayed at Hotel Breaker, which made getting in and out really simple - very convenient and easy to use. Lots of food choices that were decent.
Cons: Highly inefficient attraction management. Some rides were managed very well (Millennium and ValRavin) workers were friendly and kept things moving while minding safety. Other rides (Steel Vengeance in particular) had rude workers that barked orders at people and left lots of seats empty causing line to move slowly. The ride also was delayed on and off throughout both days we spent at the park - either this ride suffers mechanical defects or the workers are allowed to randomly declare problems. Either way - it negativity impacts your experience. Also, didn’t open ride until 10:25 am - why aren’t safety checks done early? Many other similar examples throughout our visit. Workers range from very friendly to rude and mean (unprovoked). Seems to be loose oversight and poor management, which communicates a lack customer care and respect. Disappointing, many other parks demonstrate superior customer experience. If only Cedar Points customer experience focus matched their coaster heights.
High food prices. I never buy the meal deals, but it’s worth it here. They almost force your hand.
Cedar Point Shores: Don’t waste your money here. Long lines on a low crowd day. Unnecessary protocols and many slide closures (5+) made standing in line the main experience of the day. The slides are meh. Food outrageously priced ($53 for 6 slice pizza). Long bathroom lines (don’t they want to encourage their use). Go to the beach instead.

We were visiting for the day. First of all, make sure you buy your tickets online. At the window, the girl told us it would be $90 per ticket, but we could get them for much less online. I bought the tickets on my phone and paid $45 for a senior ticket and $59.99 for the other tickets. They do not hand out paper maps of the park, so you have to either download their app or look for bill board type maps in the park. They are big on coasters, so if that is your thing, you will be pleased. I asked about shows and there was no list of showtimes for the day (again you need the app), but we only saw one show advertised and it was only at 6:30. We were able to see a glass blowing demonstration, but I'm used to other parks that a variety of shows throughout the day. I never saw any kind of parade of the Snoopy characters that use as their theme. We waited a 1/2 hr to go on the new Snake River Expedition ride, which is an interactive ride where you go down a river and bandits are trying to rob the boat. It sounded like fun, but was really very corny. The actors in all fairness, were very enthusiastic, but the plot fell short. Food is out of site. We paid $20 for 4 bottles of Desani water and $15 for 2 hot pretzels at Auntie Anne's. We left the park when we were done and went elsewhere for dinner. If you're going to ride all of the coasters, I would say it's worth the price of admission. Otherwise, I say skip.

Now I'm a little older now and bigger I didn't fit in the rides , the rollercoasters jerked my body in positions it's never been. I did have fun but at age 50 I was kinda bummed out on the rides . The food was good at the steak place I had a decent meal I used my gold pass got the discount , still my meal costed close to $40 . I'm heading there today for a second go at it.

The rides, the shows, the shops - something for everyone, from toddler to elder! So many options for families and adults. **Go in shoulder season (Sept) to ride LOTS of rides in a day (we rode 13 coasters without a Fast Lane pass); go in October - and buy a “Fear Lane” fast pass - to see all the haunting shows and houses.**

Very nice resort, but very pricey. Clean rooms. Staff was nice. Only problem was the cleaning staff kept knocking at our door the day we were checking out making it impossible to sleep in. There was no Do Not Disturb sign for us to put on door

Love it. I had recently visited Six Flags over Texas, my local amusement park and after experiencing unmaintained grounds, rides, and terribly understaffed and unenthusiastic employees felt that maybe I was just getting old, but Cedar Point and Kings Island proved me wrong. Engaged employees, paint that wasn’t as old as me, and just a great amusement park vibe. I picked the wrong day to visit Kings Island (40,000 plus attendance boost due to a company day) and it still rocked. I still think Cedar Point is the best Amusement park not in California or Florida. Shoutout to Connor in Guest relations for smoothing over my only hurdle.

My review focus is for Cedar Point Shores. We don't ever plan to return. I've never seen so many interesting people all in one place as we have today-not our scene. The park was crowded, an entire section was closed for the day for cleaning, so that was a disappointment. I was appalled by the disgusting bathrooms, and changing areas, both family restrooms and regular restroom areas. Trash, dirty diapers, tampons on the floor. Grotesque. It appears no one comes around for periodic sweeping, cleaning, disinfecting. etc. Also, the food is garbage. Processed pizza, nuggets, or Mac and cheese are your options at incredibly high prices. We visited another water park earlier this summer in Columbus and we enjoyed that much better, though somehow no matter where we go like that, we encounter an utter lack of parental guidance and involvement, kids shoving their way in front of others and pushing past people who are actually waiting their turn to go down slides, and shock...no one to be found to oversee any of this, parents and workers alike. I was disappointed in just about everything here. Overcrowded, overpriced, over processed, and overly dirty in more ways than one.

On Sunday, August 11th, after church, my family and I made a last-minute decision to purchase tickets to Cedar Point for the day. Upon arrival, everything seemed perfect. My husband, who is older, came along just to walk the park while my daughters and I planned to enjoy the rides. Unfortunately, the day did not go as planned.
When we reached our first ride, we were informed of a two-hour wait. My husband sat outside the gate while my daughters and I decided to wait the entire time. About 45 minutes into the line, we noticed a sign listing items that couldn’t be brought on the ride, including purses. To ensure I wouldn’t have any issues being secured in the seat, I called to my husband, who was nearby, to hand off my purse.
About another 45 minutes later, an older man, who appeared to be a countryman, accused me of leaving the line without permission. I explained that I hadn’t left but had simply handed my purse to my husband, who was within eyesight. Other guests in line confirmed they were fine with me returning to my spot, and there were no concerns.
However, the man escalated the situation by making racial slurs, which I ignored to focus on my daughters. Before we could reach the stairs, I noticed him signaling to security. When security arrived, I explained the situation, including that other guests corroborated my story. Despite this, the security team stated that the man had complained and decided I needed to be removed from the line.
I expressed my concerns about the man’s racial slurs and verbal harassment, but they dismissed my complaint. To avoid further conflict and shield my children from the discriminatory behavior and poor handling of the situation, I cooperated and left the line. Feeling humiliated, mistreated, and separated from my children, I immediately decided to leave the park.
Following this incident, I filed complaints with Cedar Point, contacted my bank to dispute the charge, and reached out to Guest Experience. I initially spoke with Mike A., who promised a refund. However, I later received a call and email stating that the chargeback process with my bank was pending and Cedar Point could not issue a refund while that process was unresolved. Mike assured me that if the chargeback failed, I could contact them to initiate the promised refund.
Now, four months later, I am still waiting for the refund. I contacted Cedar Point again and requested an escalation, which connected me with Scott, the Operations Supervisor of Admissions and Guest Experience. I explained the entire incident to Scott, who apologized but claimed it was my fault for leaving the park. I told him no parent would remain at the park after such an experience, especially when the situation was handled so poorly.
Scott reiterated that, per policy, he couldn’t issue a refund since the ticket was used and that nothing could be done once a chargeback is denied. An apology, he said, was all he could offer.
This experience has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I was promised a refund, yet months later, I am left with no resolution. I am seeking a proper acknowledgment of the mistreatment my family and I experienced and the refund that was promised to me.

Booked through there website. It gave me a price, took all my info and payment, and then I realized they charged me $500 more than the price listed. Called and they said it must have been a glitch and they couldn’t do anything. That is FRAUD. Had I not noticed I could have over drawn, not had enough money to live on, etc

We had a great time. We were two families with kids aged from 13 to 18. We spent the entire day at Cedar Point. We brought our own picnic lunch. The slides and activities varied in difficulty and scariness. Plenty for people of different ages and abilities.

They need cooling stations and possibly misting places in the park besides by the rides and maybe more shaded areas that you don't have to pay for which is nuts ..or you will have more passing out ..Cedar point is all about profit not about the people..also you can only use cards no cash..not all kids have cards..

Looks are deceiving. We had high expectations for this park only to be quickly disappointed. We spent the entire day walking the park in search of operable rides (10 miles total). As many as 6 coasters were down at any given time. Many of them would go down as we were waiting in line. We tried to voice our concern to guest services (as was everyone else) only to be offered a fast pass good for one ride, which solves nothing since most of them were inoperable throughout the day. Hotel Breakers is also a disappointment as we spent extra for the “10th floor” amenities only to be told upon arrival they were no longer offered due to Covid. Poor excuse as evident by zero Covid measures inside the parks. My family is barely receiving a third of the experience while paying full price. Do yourself a favor and pass on this amusement park. Lot of potential but they severely miss the mark on service.

Not the biggest but definitely the best I live in Florida and regularly attend theme parks there I also take vacation a visit theme parks in other states this was the best I experienced so far except for the tickets and guest relations area they basically told me they didn’t want to help me figure out the problem I was having with groupon and internet sales my suggestion is to buy tickets after getting to park to avoid dealing with them after getting into the park the roller coaster where the best and fastest I have experienced so far some where same as bush gardens Tampa but some where unique the food and drinks where similar prices as other theme park but save money with all day dinner pass and drink the food was good quality and staff where much better than six flags Atlanta Ga the park had fresh flowers all throughout the park and was very clean it had peanut snoopy for mascot and a rich history and is located on island water I would highly recommend this park the best I’ve been to

The 4th Vip experience and buffet. 279.00 for 4 people. Got us hot dogs, chips, runny potatoe salad and soda, no gluten free or dairy free options. There was nothing to eat all night. Worse most expensive experience we have every had. CP should be ashamed. The view is not any better than free viewing. Do not buy!!! They do not deserve a 1 star.

CP used to be awesome! Now it’s gotten to be a crazy money grab. We go to Halloweekend every year. Now starting this year you have to buy an extra $10 wristband for the haunted houses and it doesn’t get you into all of them.
We used to sit through 1/2 hour lines for the good coasters. Now it’s normal for an over 2 hour wait.
We don’t expect more than 3 coasters for a full day visit.
Bummed I bought the pass. Now I have next year to look forward to waiting in line.
Did give a one star extra just for the jump scares the performers give you when you’re walking around. They’re pretty awesome!

It's probably the best amusement park I've been to. It's a lot of walking from my experience, though. Some of the best coasters I've ever rode. If you're a coaster enthusiast, this is the place, I can't speak much to the lines as I had fast pass.

I bought 2024 season passes for my three grandchildren as a Christmas gift and visited the park 8 times in 2024. During all of our visits, we never had a bad experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful. On one of our trips my granddaughter broke the stem of her glasses (which she desperately needs) and Customer Service did an awesome job of temporarily repairing them so we could continue enjoying our day. Of course there were some long wait times for a few of the more popular rides, but that's to be expected. The Cedar Point app came in very handy for checking wait times and helping us navigate through the park. There are plenty of options as far as food; several sit-down places as well as places for grab and go snacks - pizza, fries, cheese on a stick, popcorn, etc. On most visits we packed our own food and snacks and took a mid-day break at our cars.
I myself do not ride the bigger rides but was always able to find a nice shaded place to sit while waiting. I know everyone comments on the rides but I think it's also worth mentioning the cleanliness and beautiful landscaping of the park. Renewing our 2025 season pass was a cinch. My grandkids (ages 10, 13, and 17) are already planning their first trip back in 2025!

Excessively expensive and a 30% of the major rides weren’t working most of the day. Fast passes were a waste of money, cause the lines were still 30-45 min. waits. Then the security for the new coasters was worse than TSA security. Metal detectors, waning, and charging for some of the lockers. First and last time I would waste my time or money there again. Corporate greed at its finest!

Cedar Point is the best thrill park I've ever been to. I went with my friends during HalloWeekends, it was terrific. We went through so many haunted houses and areas. There was almost no one there. We went after school and got there at 5:00. There were minimal waits, we waited 25 minutes for Steel Vengeance! We also went to a buffet while we were there, the food was amazing and the staff did a great job scaring us.
Some of my must-ride rides are Steel Vengeance and Millenium Force. They are very thrilling and topsy-turvy. Cedar Point is also great for the entire family. With rides that are thrilling for even the littlest kid.
The haunted houses and zones were the highlight of my night. My favorite one of them all was Deprivation. It was completely dark and we couldn't see anything. Blood on the Bayou was also amazing. HallowWeekends is the best. Please visit Cedar Point, you will not be disappointed.

We love Cedar Point. We hadnt been for about 10 years so we planned our couples trip there for a weekend get away. Love all the rides. My only complaint is that they wont let you put a small fanny pack in the free lockers at steel vengance( they said you were only allowed to put keys and a wallet in there. It would fit no problem its the width of my sunglasses. Instead they force you to pay for a locker. Thats just stupid and they are trying to nickel and dime you for every little thing.

We drove 14 hrs to Cedar Point Park and had no idea what to expect. The park was awesome! Very clean and nice staff. We enjoyed the rides and the whole experience. Can't wait to go back! Loved the roller coasters! Sandusky Ohio was small town feeling with lots to do for a 1st timer 😊

Wow, this was a disappointment. I must say that my criticism is tied to the whole concept of this particular type of park, which is so focused on extreme roller coasters. Coasters load slowly and take up a lot of space, so you have to be prepared a) to wait in long lines, even with a FastPass, b) to walk long distances to go from ride to ride, and c) to deal with frequent and unexplained ride closures and temporary suspensions. Even with a FastPass, it took us about 5 hours to do 4 rides. I really don't recommend this experience unless you have a tremendous love of extreme roller coasters and lots of patience.

This is my second time in the park and I can confidently say that no one does it like Cedar Point!
You’ll never be this close to the rides at any other park, just walking through and under some of the most amazing coasters in this part of the country.
Try to stay at Hotel Breakers to get early access to the park (to ride some of the most popular rides and hour before the general public comes in!) DEFINITELY try to ride Valravn and Steel Vengeance! If it’s hot, don’t skip the opportunity to ride the boat ride (there’s a massive splash!) Try to get your shopping done before 6PM, as a lot of stores in the Frontier area do close sooner than the rest. Also be sure to stop in the Build a Bear for a Cedar Point shirt for your furry friend!
I highly recommend springing for the refreshment and meal wristbands. They pay for themselves after 2 meals and there are plenty of awesome places to eat in the park!
Also, in case you were curious, this is definitely a fun place for a bachelorette trip. 20 people congratulated me thanks to our t-shirts, and 8 of those people were staff that ranged from a simple “congrats” to announcing it to the entire platform when the cart pulled back in after the ride. The staff here rocks!
I would however like suggest you do not ride Blue Streak. Your hips will thank you for not trying to squeeze into that miserable teeny tiny cart for an equally miserable wooden coaster ride.

Fun day trip with our family. Lots of rides for different age groups. We like to skip a day of school to go before the summer crowds (it gets REALLY hot, and lines get REALLY long in the summer, especially on weekends). Also, make sure to book online before you go (24+ hours ahead) to get discounted rates on entry and parking (and sometimes food packages too!).

Way better than Darien Lake and Canada's Wonderland Combined! Camped here and enjoyed the park for 3 days. Extremely clean, super friendly staff, and a fun place to visit. This was our first time in and we will be back for sure!

If you love roller coasters this is the place to be. The views of Lake Erie from Millennium Force, Magnum xl-200, Steel Vengeance are amazing. The most breathtaking views were on Top Thrill 2 you saw the lake all around you. I love rides with good water or wooded views. The staff that I had interactions with whether ride operators or restaurants were friendly and knowledgeable. Even when rides went down the hard working ride maintenance team had them up and running again in an acceptable amount of time. This is my favorite park and I have been to a few.

My family and I have been to just about every amusement park around. Depending on what you are looking for will determine if it is right for you. My adult kids are 29 and 33, they both took their kids (that we watched the entire time). My kids are rollercoaster enthusiastic and 100% loved everything about this park. There are soooooooooo many roller coasters all throughout the park and the park is huge. Lots of places to sit and plenty of places to eat. It was hard for them to pick the best coasters because it appeared they were all GREAT. Trust me when I say, they rode every roller coaster in the park. We were there for 9 1/2 hours and all the enjoyment just wore me out. There is so much to do at this fun park. My grand kids who are 7 & 8 also loved the rides and had tons of fun. What my husband and I appreciated was just how clean the park was. All the restaurants were jaw dropping clean. I was amazed at the cleanliness. It' such a nice park. I would without hesitation give it a 5+++ in stars. If we didn't live 10 hours away, I would surely have purchased a season pass while we were vacationing there. LOVE THE PARK and we will surely return......one day (lol)

Extremely good rollercoasters, and so many of them! We had fast passes which I think was totally worth the high price. Otherwise, one may find themselves spending much of the day in lines.
Minor complaint is that a few rides, the fast passes felt they didn’t skip much of the line, but other rides you nearly walked on with the fast pass!

Great park with great rides for the thrill seekers in your family or group. The park was beautiful and appeared well maintained. The fastlane plus pass was worth it for our family as some rides got out to an hour or more while we were there. Most fastlane queues were 20 min or less with exception of Valravyn the last hour of park opening. It had been down most of the day and the 90 min queue for regular park guests was cut in half for the fastlane plus pass guests. The food prices are my only complaint. Seemed pricey for chicken tenders and fries meal at about $18. I think the meal plan would save you money if your group was ok eating at different times(90 min apart). Overall great day and would definitely go again.

We are local and go about once a week. We have season passes with the food pass. CP has something for everyone. We love the food, from the smoked stake to the cotton candy ice cream. The views of Lake Erie are breath taking on top of the rides. I also like the smell of coal from the train in the park. There is a water park that is just as fun too. Great place for family fun!

I am
44 years old and have been going to Cedarpoint since I was able to walk and yesterday was the absolute worst I have ever seen it. The ratio of the staff to the crowd was about 50/100 meaning it was terribly understaffed to the amount of people they allowed into the park. The lines for everything were horrendous. We got on two rides both of which had delays due to mechanical problems. We waited two hours for Millenium Force and three hours to get on the Steel Vengeance. Most of the concessions were closed leaving many people frustrated having to wait in very long lines just to get something to even drink. We tried to wait in line for one of the haunted attractions but ended up getting out of line because the line was not moving after one hour of waiting. I have to say offering the amount of seasons passes that they do was a horrible idea because the crowds have become unbearable. They should put a cap on the amount of passes they are allowed to sell as well as limit the amount of people into the park because they clearly do not have the amount of staff to accomodate the huge crowds. I also think its terrible that they raise the prices of the fast passes on certain days. 200$ is a bit ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed.

Get It Together Cedar Point! So incredibly disgusted with your accuracy, efficiency, and ride availability! Made the extra effort to come all the way up here for Mother's Day & to get up super early to get in for early coaster rides. Instead of telling us Millennium Force was down, employees directed to the back of the park to ride it at 9 am, only to eventually learn it was down & no idea when it would open. NO ANNOUNCEMENT to the folks standing line, wasting their time. Finally walked ALL THE WAY back to Gate keeper at the opposite end & finally got on ONE.... Only 1 early ride by the time is was after 10. Had bought FUN PIX & planned to get our photo...but the pictures were only of our FEET!! Tried to use the app to find coasters to ride while it was still early, only to learn 7 (many the most popular) of the 17 coasters in the park we're closed! Maverick FINALLY opened and said less than a 15 minute wait, but we learned after walking ALL THE WAY to the other side of the park that the line was actually 1:25 min!! I like I'm spending Mother's Day getting jerked around by Cedar Point's ineptness! I don't think I have any desire to return! So disappointed! 😢😡

My daughter and I took a day to go to Cedar Point because she is finally at the height requirement. We entered into the line of the Raptor and within 20 ish minutes we were at the front ready to board the car. The young male employee who decided what line we he wanted us to go to very rudely yelled at me because I could not understand what line he wanted my daughter and I to go to. We got our seats. They checked everyone's seatbelt and restraints (safety restraint that goes over your head and your body) we started moving towards the hill.
That is when I became aware that my daughter and myself were not strapped in correctly. They buckled the seatbelt to the restraint, but they did not push down either of our restraints which obviously resulted in A giant gap big enough to fly out of. I was able to get my restraint locked, however, I could not get my daughters locked in time due to the jerking and hill.
I had no choice but to hold down her unlocked restraint the whole time and because of all of the loops, sharp turns, hills, and sudden stop, my lower back and under my shoulder blade is messed up. My daughter had no clue what happened and she did not get harmed thankfully.
They are prejudice and racist because every other person on the coaster were buckled correctly. They also put me and her by ourselves in the section where our seats were. They segregated my daughter and I. We were the only section to only have two people in it. Every other section was full. I really wouldn't think anything about that, but there was a decent sized line Waiting to get on.
I've contacted the highest supervisor they will allow me to, and they refuse to even reimburse my money.
These people do not give a damn about your life. But they do care about is your race, so if you aren't white, prepare to be discriminated against and come home with PTSD.

It's been 20 years since I visited Cedar Point and it's really gone downhill. This is a massively overrated park that gets hype because of all the roller coasters. The coasters are fun, but the park is operationally dysfunctional. We paid for the Fast Lane Plus, which is such a scam job as others have mentioned. The queues in this park are quite long and Fast Lane marginally helps. Millennium Force, for instance, had a regular queue of 60 minutes and a Fast Lane queue of 45 minutes. They do not manage this system properly. They oversell Fast Lane so that both lines are stuffed instead of selling a smaller amount to improve the experience. It was clear they value revenue over experience. Additionally, the Fast Lane system can allow for people to schedule their next ride so they don't have to wait in a queue. Cedar Point chooses not to use this technology and instead just forces these people that paid a premium to wait in the scorching heat for hours. I barely got every roller coaster in once in a 12 hour day, which is unacceptable for the price paid. Additionally, Siren's Curse and TT2 were closed all day. Most of the other roller coasters were closed for a portion of the day. I went to Guest Services to seek a partial refund, acknowledging that there is some value, but not $180 worth of value. The Supervisor, Nathan, was shockingly disrespectful. He came up arms crossed, did not ask me about my experience at all, and immediately began going on about no refunds. He was actively gaslighting me telling me that TT2 was the only ride closed that day. At the time, the app showed 4 other roller coasters closed. At the very least, he could've shown basic empathy. His Supervisor came and gave us some food vouchers, which we appreciated as it does nothing to hurt their bottom line. It's a simple show of customer service. I don't know if it is Six Flags management starting to show or what, but this is not a good park. They get two stars purely for the volume of rides, but the customer service and value are trash. I recommend going to a park like Kennywood if you want a joyful experience. This day was a chore.

We purchased the Funday Bundle, which was best for one day. The only discounts are online. No coupons could be found at the Visitors Center or grocery stores. The All Day Dining does not include drinks. Food was good & portions were generous. We have been to a lot of theme parks & this one had the worst entertainment of all, except for Back Then, Right Now at the Red Garter Saloon. You need to wear comfortable shoes since you will possibly walk more than 5-6 miles throughout the day.

Spent my senior skip day here with my best friend.. we are both driving home absolutely miserable on the verge of tears. Paid lots of money for access to the park and gas on the three hour ride to get here. left early but was there for 7 hours and went on one roller coaster and one other ride. The rides hasn’t been tested when we got there, weather was good, hot with slight wind on OCCASION but almost every coaster was shut down. multiple times we waited almost two hours, got to the top of the line, and then got shut down. Also, if there’s places to set phones and belongings for some rides, it should apply to all. shouldn’t just be a guessing game once you get to the top. Was dehydrated all day but couldn’t fathom buying overpriced water when I had already wasted so much money to do nothing. F Cedar Pointe. I’ve never wrote a bad review in my life but this was the most disappointing day of my life.

very thrilling some of the best rollercoasters out there, great for thrill seekers looking for adventure my favorite was the millennial force, one of the tallest rollercoasters in the world

Clean and safe, constant park presence of staff and security. Well-run. Felt very comfortable letting older teens have the run of the park.

An island composed purely of twisted steel, and we love it. Nothing like Disney, where theme is king more than thrill, here CP let’s you know what it’s about “right at the gate” as one inverts above your head at the entry. Coasters are king and the park has crammed them into every square inch. Have to say there’s no coaster in the world like Steel Vengeance, where it feels like it pulls more negative G’s than positive (David of park staff did a great job accommodating us there on 9/16 by the way with small kids). But maybe avoid Magnum XL unless you like back problems.

I am very disappointed in the fact that I can't use cash here, I now wasn't able to enjoy my experience with my girlfriend because I only use cash

Too many people. Paid $90 for FastLane pass for the haunted houses and they were not scary. Just rushing people through.

I was escorted out of the park by two security guards like a criminal because I had my cell phone in my hands while being on a ride. I understand that it is dangerous and it was not smart to have it out. It was my families (6 and 10 year old daughters) first time. We just arrived there after a long drive from Canada. It was our first ride we where so excited so I took a family picture.
Well our day ended at 10:30 am with two crying kids. I understand the young kids are just doing there job but a simple warning would have been fine!

In 9 hours at the park, managed to ride a dismal 6 coasters.
Millennium Force is the best coaster there. Advertised at a 30 minute wait. After 105 minutes, finally got to ride it. Extremely inefficient. At first they only had two trains running. Then after seeing that the line was getting long shut down for “maintenance” to introduce the third. Even at that, extremely slow with loading/unloading. The ride was designed very well with a separate onloading and offloading area but the people running it are extremely inefficient. Often 4-5 minutes between active coasters. This was frustrating to watch as poor management of this fantastic ride made the wait so much longer than it needed to be. They had about 12 people there with many just standing around doing nothing. Several were duplicating efforts. And the announcer made some big production wanting to get people to acknowledge him, further delaying launch of the coaster. This is one of the best coasters in the country and needs to be managed at that level.
Steel Vengence is a very close second and is run much more efficiently. The only slow part is the “empty all your pockets” metal detector part. They even want everything gone if you have zipped pockets. This was advertised as 45 minutes and took 60. But this crew has things down. Very little downtime between trains.
Rougarou and Raptor were 10-15 minute waits and are “fine”. Raptor has gotten a bit rougher over time. Gatekeeper is a neat ride and is also “fine”.
Valravyn was advertised as a 30 minute wait and took about 60 despite no maintenance downtime…just poor advertising. A lot had to do with the seat assigner’s inability to count to 8. Multiple times.
Did not try to ride Corkscrew, Blue Streak, Gemini, or Iron Dragon. Every time we went to head towards Magnum, it would be shut down.
Maverick was down multiple times throughout the day and we never got a chance to ride it as every time it went down, we would go find another ride. At the front of the park. Very far away. Then it would open up and have a 105 minute wait. Had to adjust many times as so many rides were down multiple times throughout the day including Maverick, Magnum, Millenium Force, Iron Dragon, Steel Vengence, Mine Ride, etc.
Honestly all of the ride closures have huge impacts on other rides as people wind up going to those.
The park is so spread out that when a ride goes down, you have to go pretty far in a very non direct path to get to another ride.
The park itself was pretty filthy. Bathrooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned about 10 minutes after opening and were trashed.
Food prices. Well they are a lot. But no different than other parks. The Funday Bundle quickly pays for itself (but does not include drinks).

I walked up to the entrance of “Maverick” about 20 feet away when it just turned 10 and the staff closed the gate right in front of me! I was literally a couple seconds late and they wouldn’t let me in! All I’m gonna say is that if you want to ride a ride before closing, make sure that your not a few seconds late.

Place was very clean, the flowers are so beautiful, overall everything was awesome!
The bartender on June 3 at Chickie and petes was very friendly and gave is great service. We were there when it opened and went back around 4 and she remembered is immediately.

Not only is the park great, clean, and the roller coasters are all amazing, their customer service and staff are second to none. My family has had a great experience when taking a family vacation here and staying at Castaway Bay, and even when a mistake was made on our arrival date, they accommodated us and went above and beyond to make it right. The fast pass plus ticket is pretty expensive (in my opinion), but all 4 of our teens sure loved heading to the front of the long lines! Cedar Point and their hotels are nice places to stay and still within the average family’s budget.

The worst amusement park visit I have ever experienced. We paid for all day dining and drink passes. None of the eateries open until between 11-2, none of the drink stations had ice available or the line to get your cup looked like the ride lines. The only enjoyable time I spent was the one hour early entry. I spent the rest of the day frustrated because the rides were under maintenance, or the line was 2+ hours when the app ride wait time says 45 minutes. The main goal here is to drain as much money from you as possible and then the staff could care less about your experience. I considered buying fast passes but even those lines were 1+ hour long. I'm not paying $176 per person for a fast pass to wait in line for an hour. Don't waste your $ or time on the water park. I wasted $132 on 3 tickets for half of the water slides to be shut down due to either maintenance or understaffing. My shoes were sticking to the concrete in some places, gross.

If you like waiting in line for 2h+ per ride this is the place. Spent 7h of my day for 2 rides. Unacceptable. The park is built for those willing to pay $250 for the fast pass. Otherwise you’re going to wait in line. Terrible experience. Not budget friendly. Not fun looking at fast lane people pass you all day. 2 rides for regular entrance is a JOKE!

Was grateful to have experienced the park before they monetized line jumping, adding insult to injury for anyone standing in the hot sun. Turned a fun, family experience into a gross experiment in segregation.

This must be the most over-rated amusement park I have ever been to.
First the positive: A great selection of coasters with Steel Vengeance standing out by a mile.
Now the rest: Ride operations were terrible on my visit. Millennium Force was down for half the day and we only managed to get to ride it after visiting the attraction for the third time. Maverick - again - down for much of the day; and then a two hour wait. It took three attempts to get on it. Was it worth it? Nope. So over-rated. Too jerky with too much whip-lash and far too short. Why do people love it so much? It’s awful. We also had access to the VIP Lounge which was a waste of money. It was not open until mid-day. It only offered bags of chips, cookies and flavored water for free. Very poor compared to Kings Island’s offering. Then as time was against us, we got fast passes. Again, a waste of money. Far too many are sold at the park (clearly to make more money) - with queue times still in excess of 30 minutes for the most popular rides. This is shoddy compared to the likes of Six Flags which provides a much better customer experience.
Clearly people head here to ride some of the best coasters in the world - but it’s at a price. Poor operations, poor customer experience and poor value for money. Avoid unless you need the coaster credits. One visit is enough.

I'm a 2022 Season Pass holder. I'm done with that- forever. Since I can remember (I'm 62) Season Pass holders got into the park 1 hour before posted opening time. NOT SO in 2023! So I give them my money to use all winter (they really PUSH buying in advance) and i get nothing for it. CedarFair is trying to nickle- no $20 &$50 us to death.
Next they took out Wicked Twister and are going to put in YET ANOTHER restaurant. Really? During the pandemic they removed Witches' Wheel and put in YET ANOTHER RESTAURANT. Then, last year they took out the Antique Cars (in the back of the park) and, you guessed it- put in Yet ANOTHER RESTAURANT.
If you want to go to a FOOD TRUCK PARK then CP is the place to go. If you go to ride roller coasters and rides (remember their catch-phrase "America's Roller Coast??) this is NOT the place to go.

It was our first time at Cedar Point and we had a fantastic time! It was very crowded, and we did have to wait for quite a long time for the coasters, but everything was worth the wait! Our 10 year old son described his first big coaster ride as “epic”. And they did Halloween right - the haunted house was super scary!

There are plenty of thrill rides and things to do for a day. Yes it can be expensive but that's true anywhere. My only real complaint is that the park seems to be poorly run and managed from a customer experience perspective. The staff inside the park seems indifferent and stressed.
The only people that are friendly and smile are people selling you something or trying to get you to upgrade to a pass or food ticket. The meal plan is very difficult to use. It takes forever to just get a drink refill and you will spend a lot of times waiting in long lines for food. If you ask for something special with your item, they act like they want to bite your head off. Disinterested and annoyed staff is the best way to put it.
The rides are fun but if you are looking for a friendly Disney-like customer experience, you are definitely not going to find it here. The main draw of this park is the rides and not much else. I would focus your visit on that. I would give the park a 4.5/5 for the ride experience and a 1/5 for everything else.

For as much as they charge, CP needs to get its act together and give a darn about customer experience.
Huge mark up at the gate...you have to pre-buy online, and good luck getting decent signal there. Age-ist.
Once CP has your money for tickets they couldn't care less about you or your experience...this was demonstrated again and again. Multiple rides down at various times...think adequate staffing was an issue. High food costs are to be expected, but theirs are astronomical and the food is terrible...you want to throw it away because it tastes so bad.
Lines were ridiculous and the workers act like they haven't been trained well and that they dislike working there.
Don't play the games...we won a large prize and had to wait a half hour for a manager to happen by so that the game operator could have him get us anything...apparently they have no good way to contact him and he's supposed to be around...but wasn't.
Huge brawl in the parking lot with security trying to physically intervene and struggling to controlthe situation, blood down front of people's shirts, yelling and screaming. Did not feel safe in the parking lot at all and got our kids the heck out of there, fast, as more police cars started arriving.
Loads of potential but they're making so much money on kids that will come no matter what that they don't care if they lose the family dollars through obviously not caring a bit about their customer experience once you walk through the gate. Odd that KI is Cedar Fair as well but does not have that same feel to it.
Has a cold 'couldn't care less' feel to it. Also didn't seem quite ready to take off for the year...in grounds preparation, in staff training or amount of staff working, etc.
Get it together, CP, you charge too much to not give a ×#% about guest experience or families. It wasn't always like that.

This is one of the best amusement parks around. The diversity of the rides is really neat. All the rides are super fun and secure. The rides are even numbered the lower the number the more calm the ride is. The park is also very clean. I do have to say that the food was very pricey, but then again its amusement park food; what do you expect? I also recommend having a beach day it is worth it they have a live band and they even have volleyball nets for a nice game of beach volleyball. Overall it was a great trip.

Wonderful experience to this attraction especially on Halloween weekends each and every year since 1997. Hopefully I make it to the close of the 2022 on Sunday 10/30/2022 and the weather is supposed to be good like a lot of October days in Ohio. Again, I remind you this is your final opportunity to see turning foliage in Michigan and upstate New York befor all said and done.
Next year Cedar Point guarantees Lake Erie entertainment plus waterfront restaurants will Grand open for the May 7 2023 season beginning. I am already preassigned up for the action with the 2023 discounted season pass.

Haven’t been here in almost 20 years. Planned a family vacation and this was definitely on the list of must do. Kids loved it as much as I did.

It had been years since I have been to Cedar Point and it was everything that I remembered, but better. The rides are amazing, the grounds are super clean, and because we went midweek, the lines were relatively short (60 min for Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance at night). The staff members are super friendly and always seem to be having fun interacting with the riders. There is a ride for all ages and thrill levels. Can't rave enough about Steel Vengeance at night!! Best theme park in the world!!

This was a great weekend with the kids to get away and kick back. I have teen agers so this worked out perfectly. Some like the rides and some like the beach. Something for everyone and all ages.

The park use to be amazing. The lack of knowledge from employees cost us hours of rides. The food meal pass is executed terribly. You have to wait in a 45 minute line at a restaurant to get your wrist band, even if you are not hungry and only want a drink. Complicated by multiple vendors telling us we could get items there, ordering the items then the cash register saying they are not included. No signs or employees gave correct information. Kissing signs to point to restrooms, food entrances, fast pass lines were even missing some. Fast pass price is over 200 per person even though website says 125. Then they have a company pick nick and the fast pass lines were slower than the regular line!!!!!

We went on May 20th, 2022. We were there the entire day and rode 0 rides. The wind was 8 MPH at 9 AM and they refused to open the early access rides down due to high winds.
When the rides finally opened, we waited 2 1/2 hours to ride Millennium Force, reached the front of the line, and the shut it down right before we could go on.
This was the first family vacation I could afford in many years. We paid for Hotel Breakers, gas, tolls, took PTO, and it was a terrible experience. Our degree of disappointment cannot be overstated. This was an expensive trip for us and it was horrible.
I hold Cedar Point accountable because they are not transparent with their definition of "high wind". I recommend checking the weather before going. If there is ANY wind (gentle breeze), cancel your reservations.

We had so much fun and the weather was perfect we went the 22-23rd day one everything was walk on for the most part day 2 was really busy, we opted for fast passes and called it a early day to head home. The beach was absolutely amazing to a nice refresh after a hot day.

Lighthouse cabins are disgustingly filthy, grounds and stairs covered in bird dung, mold, moss, leaves from last fall, cabin was infested with ants, staff never addressed anything, couldn't get fresh towels, Cedar Pointe under new ownership and it shows, been going for 20 years, never had this happen before, and I walked around, it was every cabin. Weekend room cost was 2k, no one has contacted me from management, most of the cabins were empty, usually packed, steer clear.

We were traveling back from a cross country trip and made this our last stop...we were very excited about going to Cedar Point for the first time ever, especially since we love Dorney Park and thought it would be equal for better experience. But that was not the case.
My husband suffers of multiple disabilities which impairs him from standing too long, every amusement park he has gone to, including Dorney, have honored him with a disability pass where he is able to ride with up to 3 people with a very short wait time. This was not the case. Their "disability pass" defeats the purpose of helping the disabled enjoy their time there, and because of this my husband was not able to ride any rollercoasters, thus wasting our money and adding lots of aggravation instead of joy. In addition, while we were trying to make the best of this situation at hand, we were hungry, as everyone who attends a park would get. We went to Hugo's, craving some pizza. To our surprise upon paying, they were going to charge us $70 for 2 pepperoni slices of pizza and 2 breadsticks!!! $15 for 1 slice of pizza is insane! How are they getting away with that? People are getting ripped off, no wonder we saw so many people barely eating, they were just sitting at all the tables waiting around and resting! All amusement parks have people sitting at their eateries tables and actually EATING, what I saw were dozens of people just sitting at the tables and everyone NOT eating- and it has to be because this place is way overpriced and quite frankly sad for those who have no choice but to pay that. I can't be the only person noticing this! Lastly my sons, who are pretty much regulars at roller coastering at different parks, got on a few of CP's amazing roller coasters only to be treated rudely by the staff, one time they wanted to SIT TOGETHER- I mean that's why people go to amusement parks to ride together right? well they refused to let them ride together on one ride because there was 1 seat left open. Really?
Unfortunately, we left very disappointed and felt "ripped off" by the entire day.

Really enjoyed this theme Park. It wasn't too busy when we went. All the coasters were amazing, and we fulfilled a bucket list dream to visit. Stayed in Sandusky, and used the JetExpress to travel over which was quick and easy, with an entrance/exit to the ferry port as well. Staff all seemed super friendly and helpful until lunch time when none of them had a clue about vegetarian options.
Knocked one star off as despite listing available vegetarian options on their website, nothing seemed to be available, and staff had no idea so we were passed from pillar to post until we got fed up and settled on margarita pizza. Disappointing they haven't sorted food options for alternative diets.

Waited in long lines all day, they don't enforce no smoking and vaping policies, rides constantly breaking down . Food and drinks are so overpriced that it's crazy. A family if six can drop a thousand a day in the park without a fast pass. All the fast passes and handicap people going in front of everyone sucks as well . I' m am all for if you have a real disability going to the front of the line but every fat person and nut claiming they are disabled really sucks. Been coming here 40 plus years this is last
trip.

Amazing experience for my coaster crazy teen and my flat land ride preteen. The park has all of the coasters you could ever want. The food was pretty good. The park layout was amazing. The kids area were fun. Nothing bad to say about the park. Restrooms were clean. Ride operations were above average and rides closed was minimal.
Enjoy the free parking and drinks package if you buy an All-Park Pass.

The park is great. It has many diverse rides. Almost everyone can find something to ride. The roller coasters are incredible. There are intense coasters for thrill seekers and kid-friendly coasters. The only complaints I have are that the food is too expensive and not very diverse. $10 for chips is unreasonable. There are also very few vegan options. The queue jumping is terrible, and no employees or guards seem to do anything about it. The employees almost exclusively letting fast pass holders on rides with long queues is also a problem. But overall, I love Cedar Point and it is a great park.

We had such a great weekend. There was so much to see and do it was wonderful. The magic of Halloween is so perfect for everyone here. They really do it right. The decor is amazing. The staff are happily and friendly. The actors and performers are remarkable. There were very few that didn’t measure up. The night creatures were fantastic. My family loves all the haunts. My 4/year old didn’t like the chainsaw noises, but other than that she loved the rest. She wore a no boo necklace and admired them from a distance. During the day she saw the Peanuts characters and trick to treated. She also did the scavenger hunt, which she loved doing. My 15 year old grandson loved the roller coasters the food. Lots of good stuff to eat here. Expensive? Yes but it’s a theme park so it’s going to be. We all enjoyed it so much we can’t wait till next year. We will do 4 nights next time to we can do even more.

I purchased two season passes and chose to pay for them via a monthly payment plan. I registered my bank card and automatic withdrawals were made each month. There was fraudulent activity on that card so the bank cancelled it and issued a new one. I went to my online account with Cedar Point to change to a new credit card for payment. ERROR. After trying many different times, from different computers, different cards even...ERROR. I called twice and was told a mgr would call me back within 2 days. Never got the call, either time. I called again and was told it would not register a bank card, but only a credit card. Really? Because you had no trouble with my last bank card. I tried to register a credit card...ERROR. So I was then given another phone # that could help me. NOPE. They gave me yet another number to call for help....which was the number I stared with that sent me to this guy. All I want to do is make good on what I owe them but their customer service team cares only about passing the buck and not helping me at all, much less collecting money owed to their company. For such a large organization, the customer service/web payment site is the poorest I have seen in over a decade, and I work in customer service at a 17,000+ arena. I will never have a good word to say about this organization again!

This used to be a great experience for the price. Then, it all started to get out of control with higher pass level pricing, line cutting and other greedy efforts. Maybe if this money were invested in safety, it would be worth it for us to make it a return visit year after year. Many of the rides were down all day and it was clear that once you're in the gates, they have your money and that's all that matters to them.
The "unlimited" drink refill plan only applies to fountain sodas, not water. So, apparently it's better for you to have sugary drinks in the sun. It's all become so disappointing. Nothing like the nostalgia of the past.

My standard is Six Flags Great Adventure. All other amusement parks are compared, for better or worse, to the Jackson, NJ park. Cedar Point, which is now park of the Six Flags family of parks tops GA is many ways.
One, I love the scenic drive up to CP. Two, there are almost 20 roller coasters and almost every one of them are on the high end of thrill. The best of the lot: Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Top Thrill 2, Millenium Force, Gatekeeper, and more!
Because you can purchase an 'all parks' add on to your season pass, we were able to go to CP using our Six Flags season pass. We ended up going four consecutive days. Some days were busier than others, some days rained more than we wanted; but overall, it was an amazing amusement park experience for our family and our veteran parkgoers (who are only 12 and 10).

If you can swing it, buy the fast pass!!! Steel Vegenance is by far the coolest coaster I've ever been on. We went week before labour day, a great week to choose if you're Canadian!!

We paid for parking and used our debit card. We then tried to go purchase tickets for the shores and were denied because your machine wasn't working. We were offered no other alternative to purchase tickets as you were sold out online. Everyone refused to help. We then tried to get our money back for parking and were refused that as well because the lady at the toll booth failed to give us a receipt. This is the worst place I have ever been to and wonder why we were discriminated against? I do not recommend this if your on vacation as they have ruined our vacation for our family who just wanted to visit the water park and were refused.

I have been bringing my family to Cedar Point for the last 10 years. Its is a family tradition just like our highlight at the end of the day. THE BEST FUDGE AROUND EVER!!

All major rides kept breaking down. Drove 6 hours and every time we went to a ride it was shut down.
Very frustrating. The two biggest ones were closed and the app has incorrect wait times. Kings island and great America much better

Our grandchildren were ready to ride the big coasters. Flew up from Austin, Texas as this is the best place for coasters. We all had a blast and still have 3 to complete on a future visit.

Clean park. Great rides! Location is wonderful being on Lake Erie. This was our second visit and will be back a third time. Great app once I figured it out. Only wish the lines weren’t so long.

My 17-year-old son and my 13-year-old nephew have been wanting to come to this park for years. They loved the coasters and said it was well worth the trip from Florida. We had a 2-day pass, so they went on just about all the coasters and some of them a few times. The lines weren't long at all. I loved that they had the drink option to buy and all we had to do was show our bracelet and every 15 minutes we could get a soda, lemonade or water and stay hydrated. It is great that there is a Starbucks and a Chick fila in the park. If you're there, you must try Cedar Point's Fresh Hand Cut Fries...really good!

visited here for the first time October 24, 2024 and October 25, 2025. Listed Below are some things I was really impressed with; especially being a previous theme park tour guide and ride operator.
1) Operations-Quick/Efficient/Fast-Top Notch Throughput
2) Scenery- Beautiful all around
3) Some top notch coasters that have cracked my top 25. Great line up!
Hope to experience the coasters that weren’t open and this park again in the future!

August 2025 - my wife and I explored the beautiful beach an amazing boardwalk and amusement park called cedar point. So amazing to be sitting on the beach and watching all those giant roller coasters. Breathtaking views at cedar point Beach while enjoying lake Erie. Lake water a little chilly but well worth it after a hot day at the amusement park. Best ride in my opinion, is the Giant wheel overlooking cedar point Beach amazing views in the evening when the lights go down and you can see a beautiful sundown or even the Moon. Staff at the amusement park always aiming to please their guest. The pro in my opinion, how well the staff take care of the folks in wheelchairs and the elderly. A great place for family with children lots to see lots to do and amazing eats. You can spend the entire day at both the amusement park and the beach adjacent to cedar point amusement Park. They also have breakers which is the amusement park resort; a little bit pricing for my taste but if you want a budget friendly motel you will check out the wolf in which is only 5 minutes from amusement park. In my opinion, the best lunch and dinner spot in the park is a place that's serves chicken dumplings in a country atmosphere.

Cedar Point Park is pure heaven for roller coaster enthusiasts! There is an incredible variety of coasters, most of them very high and very fast, and as result, super thrilling. We visited it during one of Halloween Nights, so the wait in the lines was no bad. The Halloween ambiance and decoration was really well done. Millennium Force was my favorite coaster, incredibly intense and fast. Next to it was Valravn (a dive coaster) and GateKeeper (a spectacular winged-coaster). Unfortunately, you could not ride the legendary Top Thrill Dragster, which was closed and will be removed. Still, Cedar Point is a must-see amusement park for every thrill ride fan.

Amazing and so much to do for everyone be sure to get the daily food pass if you don’t have the seasonal food pass. It’s well worth it

We have been to at least a dozen amusement parks and have the Cedar Fair / 6 Flags Season pass so have many data points. While the rides were great at this park, and have several in our top 10 (to include Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens etc... attractions), I have never been to a park where so many rides are Temporarily Closed. Whether to start the morning, or multiple times during the day. Was like they were shuffling staff between rides b/c they were understaffed. Also, not a friendly / engaging staff. Cedar Point app was extremely unreliable with wait times, and not updated frequently. But when rides go down for "maintenance" often throughout the day (not weather related), wait times are tough to predict.
Also, food service was poor. Wait times, friendly-ness. Waited extremely long time for breakfast and dinner at Hotel Breakers dining options and not because either place was crowded! From discussions in the hotel, think they are (intentionally?) understaffed?

Rode every ride. It was great. Had family from Europe and they had a blast. We will return next year. Park was so clean and safe.

Not a huge fan of the cashless policy. Say many people upset about this as well. When you use a debit or credit card over and over it will lock due to security purposes. To avoid this, we found ourselves spending much less and not playing any games. You can load a card but you can't recharge it. Person in line in front of me did not have enough funds left on their card, so the food had to be put back and they got out of line.

We really enjoyed our day at the park but there's one problem.... the spiders.... there are sooo many huge spiders where you stand in line for the rides especially at night. I feel if the area gets sprayed once a week it would solve the problem... please look into it but other then that we enjoyed ourselves!!!!

My family was using the disabled passes to go on rides. My dad was in a motorcycle accident 2 years ago. Almost died, the right side of his body is completely titanium. He can’t stand for long periods. This Venus lady ridiculed him, accused my family of lying to get a pass. She is incredibly ableist. Everything else about our visit was great, except this interaction. Felt incredibly unwelcomed

Great roller coasters as always. My daughter is finally tall enough to ride all coasters but two. We had a wonderful time on every ride but the gatekeeper. The staff was horrible. Made my kid take her shoes off after it had been raining to argue over what they thought was "too short by a quarter inch". " The soles on her shoes are too thick." Mind you she is wearing converse. Did not take into account that everyone gains a half inch of height from their shoes. We went to guest services and got her measured and verified that she was tall enough to ride all rides, got the wrist band but still no luck. CF get everyone on the same page! Nothing better than getting trumped by a 18 year old waving a measuring stick that has a power trip after spending 200 dollars on a ticket and a fast pass. Just to remind you we were able to ride EVERY OTHER RIDE. Either you have 2000 incompetent employees incapable of measuring, or one employee that is inept and sucks!

Where do I start. I don't know. Cedar Point has major issues. Should I speak about the rides... or should I speak about the food. Not going to mention anything about the entertainment... because that was fun to watch. OK... I will start with Fast Lane. When you pay MONEY.... for the Fast Lane Plus... Someone said it must be less than 20 minutes... no.... less than 45... and the regular lines over an hour and a half. That makes it worth waiting. But when the rides constantly break down.... there are issues. I understand the safety issue... BUT... this park should totally be checking these rides... seems that they aren't. Anyway... I wll not be returning. And PS... Hotel Breakers... You really need to clean your balconies. One more thing... Cedar Point needs to get back to full service restaurants... screw the cashless crap. Melt... Johny Rockets... and certainly Chicky and Petes.

How was my day at Cedar Point - a total disaster in every way.
In 12 hours at the park were were able to get on 4 total rides.
Started with a 1 hour wait to get through the two available metal detectors.
The wait times posted on rides were nowhere near accurate. An 8 minute wait posted was 45 minutes. A 20 min posted wait was an hour.
We waited in line for an hour for Millennium Force before we learned from other riders the ride was shutdown for maintenance. No communication from the park - app said it was still running. Tried again later in the day, shutdown again while in line.
We had a three hour rain delay and waited inside the Grand Pavilion. Not a single person from the park was there to let people know if the park would close/reopen/stay open later.
Once the rain was over, we waited inline for the Maverick for an hour and were finally told the ride was down for maintenance. This was after asking the ride employee if they knew when it would open. They knew nothing. Most rides never reopened but the app didn't reflect this.
We finished the day on the TT2 - a 30 minute wait was posted when we joined the queue. We waited an hour an a half in line before getting on - at one point the park let 8 full rides of fast pass holders on before a single rider was let on from other line.
We drove 10.5 hours to set $500 on fire. When we contacted customer service they said "our bad come back and we'll do better" No chance. Disaster of an experience. 4 rides in 12 hours. What a waste.

Probably the absolute best amusement park for coasters and adrenaline junkies! I have a season pass and I live all the way on the other side of the country in California. I go back at least four or five times a season. I love it that much! Beautiful lake Erie backdrop is perfect in the summer for families, friends and couples! The roller coasters are the draw and they are the absolute best!

Cedar Point is truly the best amusment park, there i said it. No other park delivers as much as the Point, every ride is great, plenty of food options and it is also a great place to look around in. My girlfriend and i are season pass holders and we will be every year

As a local and passholder, I can see the positives and negatives here. As a disclaimer, i do not come to ride roller coasters (most of them do not accommodate larger guests) and am not a particularly thrill-ride oriented person anyway.
Having said that, this is a great place to come to watch shows, ride less-prolific rides, visit the beach and people-watch. Cedar Point continues to have a major problem with staffing and their food is mediocre and somewhat overpriced. I could see how I'd be angry if I drove hours to visit and many of the rides and attractions were closed and the park was crowded past capacity. In the last few years the park has made an effort to bring in some theming, such as the new stuff in frontiertown and the criminally underrated Snake River Expeditions. I am glad to report that management has seemingly figured out that a ride or attraction does not need to be 500 feet tall and break the sound barrier to be entertaining.
Halloweekends is a must, and it'd an awesome place to just walk and enjoy the decorations, shows and monsters.

Being next to Lake Erie was wonderful. This place has a lot of roller coasters, and even if you do not like coasters, there are enough carnival type rides to keep you busy. There are a few things about this park that caused me some problems. 1) There are no paper maps. You are expected to look at the map on your phone. However, the print was too small (or nonexistent ) to identify the rides and restaurants. 2) Since this was my first visit here and no map available (paperless is not always better),I got lost a couple of times. When I asked employees for directions, most had no idea—like they had no knowledge of the park. 3) we waited in line for 45 minutes for the Wild Mouse. They closed it and suggested we leave. When this happens, if you are at the front, I feel you should get a fast pass or something. We lost nearly an hour. However, I was told they do not do give passes for ride closures. Overall, we had a good day. Honestly, I feel like it would have been much better with something as simple as a paper map.

Amazing thrill ride park! and excellent hotel. The breakers hotel and staff were excellent. The park is clean and updated and cedar point is still the undisputed best roller coaster park in the world!

Absolutely has to be the worst and most expensive amusement park I've ever been to. Drove 3 1/2 hours to Cedar Point to have to pay $30 to be directed a mile away from park by attendees (charges you $50 if you want to pick your spot). We rode only a total of 5 rides due to them catering to the fast track paying customers ($95 extra on top of the $45 regular fee). And I'm sorry but having to pay for 4 people $560 to get to experience every ride at the park is extremely expensive for a day and out of any regular Joes pockets. Stood in each line for almost 2 1/2 to 3 hours because they kept emptying the fast track line before they let regular admission individuals go through. Food prices were outrageously high and defiantly have no diabetic friendly foods. For 3 small chicken tenders and a small salad cost me $22 and $6 for a bottle of water. Prepare to do a lot of walking due to set up of park and the rides. Ride entrances are far apart from each other and the set up alone can have you going in circles trying to find the entrances to each ride. Wasn't able to experience the water park because just at glance, looks like it'll be same ordeal not being able to enjoy a full fun family day nor a lot of the attractions because of the fast track payers.

Great park (as long as everything is open). I hate the idea of Fast Lane, but the Fast Lane + saved us so much time. We don't come often so we have to make the most of it, and it allowed us to ride everything multiple times. Go on a Tuesday or Wednesday for the thinnest crowds. Get the drink wrist band, grab a drink between rides and drink in line especially if it's hot - stay hydrated! Ride Maverick when you can, it breaks down often so get on when you can. Remember it's an amusement park, nothing will go perfect. If you lower your expectations you will have a blast. Food - Backbeat BBQ was our fav, Hugo's pizza and Farmhouse were really good, but we did not care for Pavillion.

I visited Cedar Point on a trip with a group of friends. The park is exciting. They have a great collection of rollercoasters. If you enjoy coasters you will like this park. The park is laid out in a pretty straightforward manner and rides are not hard to find. The staff for loading rides were professional.
The lines for popular rollercoasters can be very long. Be prepared to wait in line a lot in the heat. Also, you will want to hydrate. Concessions are very expensive. That is true about food and beverages. Expect to pay 2 to 3 times restaurant prices and up to 10 times more than you would pay for the same bottle of water at a grocery store. This is not unusual for an amusement park. The quality of the food I had was average. It was good enough, but nothing was outstanding.
I really enjoyed Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, and the Gatekeeper rollercoasters. They are very intense rides, but I enjoyed them. They do have smaller, milder coasters as well. Some were a bit uncomfortable. The corkscrew is a much older milder coaster, but the seat was uncomfortable and it was very bumpy. It was not a pleasant experience. I did enjoy the Gemini. It is a bit bumpier than the newer coasters, but it was enjoyable.
I enjoyed my visit to Cedar Point.

Love the big coasters then this place is for you!!! We love the rides and we hate the food prices , rides win out and we only eat one day at the park with the all you can eat band for the day .

When they say "Rollercoaster Capital of America", they aren't kidding. We had an absolute blast. We rode all the rides we wanted to. They have some of the best roller coasters we have ever ridden. Keep in mind that it is an amusement park, so the food is lacking at best. The crew members working in the food establishments were not very helpful at all. The crew members at guest services and those manning the rides were great.

Everything about this place is an issue.
Paid extra $159 for each Fast Pass Plus for 4 additional roller coasters.. got here at 9 am.. at 11 am only 1 of them is running.
Dining pass only good at a handful of places with limited menu... and at a 11 am.. nothing open.
Been to many Amusement Parks and by far this has been the worst experience!

First, buy your tickets (and parking ticket $36) ONLINE! They nearly double at the door. And for the price, get the fast lane tickets online. However, the fast lanes are either good for 22 or 28 rides. The one that is for the 28 rides includes the top attractions that can take at least an hour to ride. Bring nothing with you because at one of the rides you have to rent a $15 locker to put your keys or phone in because they don’t have a bin available. Our family was there with basic tickets for 9 hrs and were only able ride 7-9 rides so have patience! We packed a lunch and ate it in the air conditioned car for about 20 min. The beach is nice. We packed suits to jump in Lake Erie to cool off. Overall, it was fun to say we’ve been at the famous Cedar Point but we would do it different next time. I’m not sure we’ll make it back since we live several hours away. Also, if you plan to go to the beach, it’s the only beach in Sandusky and it’s free but still have to pay to park ($36)

I love Cedar Point, whether I go alone or with friends. I love the fast pass albeit expensive. The coasters are the best in the world. The park is clean, I love the decorations and overall upkeep, although I do wish they had warm water for hand washing. The rides are amazing but I do agree that there are issues with regards to multiple closings at the same time due to constant maintenance isses. I wish some of the workers were nicer. I wish there was a better selection of healthier food options for vegetarians like corn on the cob, potato salad, veggie burgers, etc. Hopefully someone is listening and things will improve. There is always room for improvement:)

It is a yearly family tradition to go to Cedar Point for Halloween weekends! The kids trick or treat, do crafts, dress up, eat fall treats and take in the wonderful decorations while the adults enjoy the festivities with the haunted buildings! It doesn’t get any better with everything offered as well as the rides available!
We also get a yearly pass because we frequent the park with our grandkids. The service staff are wonderful, they go out of their way to ensure kids are safe on rides and the park is clean.
I recommend it for every age group we’re senior but love it!!
To the big Whig’s!!!!!
Please bring back the amount of shows you’ve previously had we love them! I’ve noticed they have cut back on how many show times offered and we’ve missed shows we were excited about!

I was staying at the park for 2 night love the campground. But the park I don’t know what is going on pay a lot for tickets and yesterday only 8 roller coasters were running. The Gemini keep braking down as did the raptor I was in line at both when this happened. Today at 11 am only 6 roller coaster we’re running. Once again the Gemini and raptor keep going down for repair along with magnum. The valravn was down both days and top thill dragster is closed all season. Don’t know if this is a staffing issue or poor ride maintenance but for the 420$ I spent on campsite and tickets I expect to be able to ride on any ride in park. Also please clean the bathrooms they are dirty every time I use them. Hope this improves in future I expect more from this park.

The rides are great and we bought a season pass to enjoy all the park. This means the Red Garter Saloon as well. We have been to the park 3 times this year and each time the Red Garter saloon is with unexpectedly closed, not serving food or the show times were altered. I figured this place would be different but it’s a poor business model that only cares about the ride porion of the park, charge 15 dollars a beer. Take your money for half the services is their business model

Rude staff member Jonathan Jacob’s should not be working around young children. He was arguing with another worker and being very rude to him right in front of small children who were all waiting to get on a ride. Multiple parents and young children encountered this argument, very unprofessional and inappropriate

I used to love Cedar Point but our experience yesterday 8/9/25 was the worst!! We paid $37.50 to park. We arrived at 11:00am and after standing for hours in multiple lines only to have each roller coaster break down. No communication as to if or when the ride would be running again.
So for the price of tickets, parking (forced locker rental $15/3 hours in order to ride) we rode one roller coaster the whole day!!! $139.00 tickets, $37.50 parking, $25.00 a meal, total of $35.00 locker rental, not to mention we paid for a hotel and gas to enjoy the rides……. One ride. Guest services said, “Sorry, nothing we can do.” Beware! $300 fast pass is also a farce.

The park is nicely spread out and has a great variety of rides for everyone. Restrooms and drink stations are clean and distributed well throughout but we had trouble finding shade on a really hot day. Overall, it’s a great spot for teens with some exciting coasters.

Rides are great but constantly shutting down after waiting in lines for over a hour, water park is packed !!!! slides are nice , waiting in a line for over 30 minutes for the lazy river is ridiculous the whole cashless card is a huge pain in the ass and stupid , they said there are kiosks all through the park but the one the employees knew of and could point it out to me was the one at the front gate , make sure when you go up and order drinks and food make sure you buy a lot because you ain’t going to want to wait in them lines a second time way understaffed !!!!! My teenage daughter and her friends like it but me I wouldn’t go back to much of a pain in the ass to spend my day off work there definitely would drop them off

A fantastic day out with record breaking rollercoasters. I was there for one of the Halloween weekends. They do an amazing job of decorating and have scares all over the park.

Went Monday May 29th, and Tuesday May 30th. We had fast lane plus passes both days, and only rode mainly the roller coasters, Max Air, Sky Hawk, Wind Seeker, the bumper cars and the big wheel, and the sky lift ride and train. The workers at the park are nice, food options for all day dining was a lot better than what they do at King's Island, as in more selection and portions of food, so I highly recommend the all day premium dining, eat every 90 minutes, and get a drink every 15 minutes and almost all the restaurants accept the plans. Also highly recommend the fast lane plus. We were able to ride the rides multiple times and some we may have waited 5-20 minutes, while the normal lines for most rollercoasters was 75 plus minute wait. There is so much to see and do here, if you've never been you'll want 2 full days at the park. Cedar Point Shores water park had 80% of the slides, lazy river and other water attractions shut down and only one main restaurant open due to low staffing. They said that should be back open fully by second week of June 2023? Also the beach is amazing to see, if you don't mind stepping over a bunch of dead fish. Will definitely visit this park again someday.

This place has great attractions but is managed poorly. I seriously do want them to contact me so I can help them ASAP as every day that goes by it is a lot of families having a disappointing day. Tips summarized for them at end, can give more detail if they contact me.
I've been going to Kings Island all my life and I was shocked with this first experience at CP. See my past reviews, I'm an optimist but this was a tough pill to swallow. Quick breakdown (pun intended, you'll see why later):
ENTRY - Parking was a breeze, traffic control impressive. Enough turnstiles to get in smoothly. We entered at 10am sharp, a full hour after early entry. Of the 12 big coasters, only Valravyn was open...I'd think all would be open early, you run your maintenance at night, right? Why so many down for maintenance all morning? How do you reward the 9am entries with no rides going??
The Millenium Force line opened as we passed, so I went up. Then I saw that one train finished the ride but had to sit behind the water-tank test train while they were emptied in the queue space. 15 mins at least for them waiting to get off. Wow! Why???
MIDDAY - Getting busier but not overwhelming. Looking at the app with many rides still down, we saw Blue Streak on the app at 15 mins estimate. We got in line and it took 56 minutes. How so inaccurate? And Jose, Tan Tan running the boarding process were terribly inefficient. Standing around when they could prep for the next train. Big waste of time.
Iron Dragon was great though, with no line so that saved my kids' midday time.
Pipe Scream showing 15 mins, was 40 mins and the operators were terrible at loading the rows.
Gemini we got all the way to next boarding group, and the red car coming in didn't respond so one of the operators grabbed a stool, lifted it up, and backed us all out of the switchbacks like cattle, as if we were never there waiting for 35 minutes. Then it was back operating in 20 min. but rewarding only those who queued up outside the entrance.
4PM AND AFTER - Now we started to understand the system to it all. The app is TERRIBLY inaccurate, even showing different times/status between the list and the map functions. Also, we learned which rides to give up on (Rougarou was closed almost all day).
NIGHT - Everything seemed to start clicking again, and the talent of the staff seemed to bump up. So I see potential but I can only imagine how many peoples' days were ruined already by then.
TIPS FOR CEDAR FAIR STAFF:
1. Please figure out Park Open. Do your PMs on high demand rides 7-830a, Water dummy testing 830-915, Open high demand rides 915a and leave them open. You are not rewarding park hotel guests or passholders...your best guests!
2. Use better app tech. The app is a disaster and worse than not having one at all. Use GPS tech to get and post/refresh REAL wait times on the app.
3. Better breakdown procedures. Is there not some kind of incentive you can give to those in line when a ride breaks down? People are losing 30-90 mins on a chance breakdown issue with no recourse.
4. Incentivize loading process. Reward safety/throughput combo to identify your best staff, then put them on the high-stakes rides. Also, some rides had barkers that were great but could also be doing something to help in between loading. Example: Gatekeeper, Iron Dragon, and Steel Vengeance boarding processes/staff were OUTSTANDING, please get that on the other rides!
5.. Single rider process at peak time. So many times I saw empty seats after an hour wait...where you could add a single rider pool near the loading zone. I estimate a 8% wait time reduction on this alone.
6. I have many more and would love to talk to someone.

The absolute worst customer service I've received at any theme park. Infuriating. Extremely overpriced food and drinks, long lines for food. Awful experience and will not be renewing my pass next year.

The rides are amazing and the park is one of the best in the world.
The staff is lazy and rude. Early entry is a joke. We came in at 9am as we paid for early entry. The rides didn’t open until after 10am. No point. No communication.

Went to celebrate an accomplishment for my daughter. The park is nice. Parking was reasonable and lines were not too bad for most attractions. My daughter was quite disappointed when Steel Vengeance got "delayed" indefinitely.
The bathrooms were sub standard.
Really didn't like the fact they don't take CASH. You cannot pay with U.S. Currency. You must use a card.- Lousy!
On the whole a good time with many ride options.

Brooklyn who was working at Iron dragon was amazing. My granddaughter was riding her first roller coaster ever. Brooklyn talked to her while waiting in line and calmed her Susan and made the ride twice as fun. Associates like this are greatly appreciated. Thank you Brooklyn!!!

Got at park 10 am on Monday, got some ride ,but lot ride where not going at all or don't start intil 11 am or 12pm . Wow! get real . first 2 hour got some ride some good ride wasn't going yet. Some where getting working on. What a lost ,O! they don't take cash at cedar point just credit cards and esc...

Our first visit to this amusement park. Visited on my 63rd birthday. We were impressed with the layout, the shaded areas provided, the amenities we saw, and truly enjoyed the summer time luau that evening - even though it did storm! We had a wonderful time.

This is our 3rd year coming to Cedar Point. And unfortunately as we have some thing to compare with-it was worst experience at Cedar Point so far. It wasn’t as organized, wasn’t as clean. Particularly-bathroom at hotel Breakers was disgusting, everything floating, paper all over. We ended up going to different bathroom. Half of the attractions were closed including water park. I have never seen so many “questionable” individuals walking around… so much trash under the stairs as we were waiting in line to get on roller coasters. Maybe don’t permit people to have their paper cups/plastic bottles as they enter roller coaster. Management definitely needs to be adjusted, so they can function properly and make things function appropriate for the price.

Went to Cedar Point shores yesterday and it was terrible. It was so extremely overcrowded we left after two hours and it was a complete waste of money. It was wall to wall people, extremely long lines for rides, and no lawn-chairs. On top of that, one of the kid areas had NO water slides open because they were not staffed enough to be able to have a lifeguard at each slide. We spent $100 to ride one family slide, do the wavepool, and have my 6 year old son do the kid slides at the front. I don't understand how they don't have capacity limits; it's not even enjoyable when it's that crowded. We stayed at Hotel Breakers so we were resort guests and added on the water park. It should be required to buy tickets ahead of time (and reserve them even if you're a season pass holder) so they can track how many people have bought tickets for the day then STOP SELLING TICKETS when there are too many. The line to get in was wrapped around the parking lot. Extremely disappointed in this place.

Halloweekends at Cedar Point is a blast IF you can navigate the app. We wasted so much time wondering around trying to find when and where the shows and times were because the Cedar Point App never worked! The employees said that because there were so many people trying to use it, it wasn't working. If they know there is going to be thousands of people trying to navigate the park, then they need to have paper copies of everything (I know it's old-school, but it's the only way to get around when technology doesn't work in these cases!)... The maps around the park doesn't give the specifics on times.

On 11/1/24 my husband, mistakenly purchased an online friends and family ticket for 11/1/24 thinking it was for 11/2/24. We immediately called the park and asked what to do. We were told by your agent that "this happens all the time" and "come to the park tomorrow to exchange the ticket for a SMALL upgrade fee." Small would be 5-20%. Instead, he was charged an additional $40, making the ticket double the price. That is a 100% upgrade fee, not at all what we were expecting when we called the first time. We are not tech savvy, which is clear by the mistake that was made, so we trusted the agent and didn't think anything of it until my husband got to the park and found out that we were seriously mislead. The agent that I spoke to after my husband called me and let me know what guest services agents told him, explained that this is because the ticket price for 11/2/24 was $79.99. I understand this now. I did NOT understand this on 11/1/24 and spoke to another agent. I TRUSTED that agent, clearly a mistake on my part. Had, I been given proper information on 11/1/24, we would NOT have made the 2 hour drive, we would NOT have had the other boys parents' purchase tickets and would NOT have come to the park on 11/2/24 because we could NOT afford the additional $45 this month. BUT, because an employee gave us BAD information, my son's friends bought NON-refundable tickets. So, my husband and the boys get there on 11/2/24 and now our only choice is to pay the extra or screw a bunch of kids and their families. Thanks for putting us in an impossible situation and capitalizing on our mistake by NOT providing the correct information the first time! Giving bad information to customers like this is a DECEPTIVE business practice and is truly inexcusable. This is just another greedy corporation.

I’m so excited about my last visit to Cedar Point I had to share our experience!
We took our grandson (6) for a busy Saturday! I’m disabled and I saw the best service given to everyone from the employees! Every single one of them smiled, triple checked all safety features on rides, answered politely all questions or sought out answers!!
Most of the food venues were open and the traffic was flying through them! I do believe going cashless is helping to keep lines at food vendors moving fast!!!
We saw the Motown show and the Pep Rally for entertainment and loved them!!!! Such talent, and energy!!!!
Because we spent a lot of time in kiddie land we are looking forward to going back to see more!!!
Thank You Cedar point for going the extra mile!!!! We’ll be back and tell everyone about our great experience!!

The best amusement park that I have taken my kids. We bought the season pass + season drink pass + season meal plan. It total a little above $200. Let me share that it is worth every penny. I prefer to go on a weekday when the crowds are down. We usually eat one meal on arrival and another. be we leave. We usually stay around 5-6 hours. It will probably take 3-4 visits to ride every thrill ride. With so many choices, you will be happy you decide to go to Cedar Point.

All booths and stores need at least bandaids, and if they do have them, then the employees need trained better! Our day started great....but ended horribly. Up until around 3pm, we had fun. Rode rides with minimal wait times, had good food, had decent interactions with staff. It went downhill after our all day locker jammed and my husband sliced his knuckle when it finally did open. All we needed was a bandaid. Just a bandaid. The cut wasn't crazy and really didn't need EMS assistance. We went to one of the drink refill stations and asked for if there was a bandaid. She asked if it needed EMS and we said "No. Just need a bandaid." She pointed us in the direction of Guest Services. Once we get there, we're met by a door attendant who asks what we need. Husband tells her "Locker got jammed and cut me when it opened. A worker said I could get a bandaid here." You would have thought we just told this lady that he chopped off his finger. She yells "I don't know why they would send you here! You need to go the First Aid by Snoopy!" and turns us away. At this point my husband just wants to leave but I suggest we try to go through the other door of Guest Services. Luckily, the lady at that door was much more pleasant. She brought us in and got the locker location and number. But then, she says they called EMS to come assist my husband. We just needed a bandaid....
So we wait, poor EMS guys come rushing in and it looked like they were expecting something serious. When they asked us who needed help, my husband looks at them and says "Cut my finger. I just needed a bandaid." The EMS visibly looked both relieved and confused and asked "We rushed up here for a bandaid?" We explained what happened and they just chuckled and apologized to us about the communication issues and the run around. All of this....for a bandaid. This would easily been solved if we could just get a bandaid.

It’s great fun for everyone!! Be sure to take advantage of meal and drink passes and other cedar point app deals otherwise things are very pricey!

Excellent day at Cedar Point. We booked the vip tour because we wanted to get to all the coasters in one day. It was completely worth it. Our tour guide for the day was Brett. He was wonderful. We didn’t need to think at all. He just walked us around from coaster to coaster and told us about each one. We took rests when we got tired in the lounge and used our drink plan and meal plan as well. Got to ride all the coasters and some more than one time. A note to anyone who has never need- it’s a very big park- so be prepared to walk a lot. Best day ever at Cedar Point with Brett as our guide. Will come back one day for sure!

Pointless early entry because few rides are open and one that should have been open was closed for maintenance. Allowing people to wait in line without knowing when the ride might open was incredibly frustrating. We’ve been in the park for 7 hours over two days and been on two rides.
Service in the hotel is mediocre at best. Food options are dismal and on the whole, fried food is featured. Our pull out couch has no sheets. After planning this trip for months and driving for 6 hours to get here, I am so sad to see the disappointment in my kids. I do not recommend a special trip here. No worth the time or money.

I have experieced both Disney Worlds, four Six Flags and many other theme parks over the years and have to honestly say that Cedar Point in my opinion was the worst! I booked a room at the Hotel Breakers and paid extra for the "Lake View" side of the hotel but instead was given a parking lot view! My accomodations came with a one hour early entry to the park. Upon entry found only a couple of rides actually open. Kiosks were closed as well. Finally approached a walking park supervisor and asked why almost everything was closed? He instructed me that the majority of everything would not open until the general public was let in. Ok, so we waited another hour or so but even around noon 80 to 85% of everything still remained "unavailable" So we actually walked around and ended up only riding 1 ride the entire day because the hour or longer wait for rides in 90 degree heat was too much. We decided to just go to the water park and the massive number of attendes made it impossible to enjoy. You literally could not help bumping into people every few minutes. Needless to say it was one and done for me and family!!

Overall, it was a great trip. Top thrill 2 may seem intimidating, but I highly recommend riding it. The prices were a little pricy but it wasn't a big deal. At the hotel, there is a cash converter. I recommend going as long as you have a card. Make sure you bring few accessories and items as you must put them in lockers for some rides. I got a shirt, and I love it, so check out gift shops

Cedar Point is by far the best amusement park I’ve been too. They have 18 roller coasters including Gate Keeper, Valravn, and Millennium Force (my personal favorite) just to name a few. There are many food options along with carnival games, and kiddie rides. The amusement park is perched right on Lake Erie and the big rides have great views of the beach and lake. Due to the fact that the park is really busy and the waits are long for the bigger rides, I missed out on some rides, but I will be coming here again. The park is amazing and I couldn’t recommend more.

I went to Cedar Point with a bunch of my classmates. What I loved were the rides. Even though I didn't go on a lot of big rides, it was still nice to walk around and watch the roller coasters "fly by" my head.
One complaint is that a lot of the rides like the Gemini and Iron Dragon completely shut down and I saw people get kicked off rides many times for "mechanical issues."
Another bad thing about Cedar Point are the prices! The ticket and free food/drink pass is already quite expensive, but if you only have a ticket and nothing else you have to spend a minimum of $20 for greasy cheeseburgers that are close to being raw and tasteless French fries. The souvenirs were horrendously expensive as well, paying $5 for a tiny keychain and nearly $20 for a tiny cup coaster. Overall, it is a fun place to ride some cool attractions, but I suggest buying the food, drink, and fast lane passes. You may be spending around $200 just for all of that, but at least you don't have to worry about anything.

Ok Cedarpoint: they have some amazing coasters, which are great when they’re operational but it seems they are frequently down for maintenance throughout the day. We bought fast lane plus, which were $200 a piece but quite necessary as we went on a Saturday and still waited 15-30 mins for each ride. The workers tried hard and were nice. The gross: the bathrooms were pretty gross. I didn’t see one bathroom attendant in our 12 hours at the park. I’m sure the labor shortage has been difficult for the park and it shows.
Cedarpoint Shores: the waterpark is nice and has lots to do. Again, the whole place needs a power wash. Maybe it’s because it’s the end of the season and things and workers are a bit worn out, but it’s yucky. We rented a cabana ($), and I had to wipe bird poop and dead bugs off our table and chairs, and the floor hadn’t been cleaned since previous party used it (or ever?).It was supposed to have food and drink service. It’s a very limited menu, we had to clear our own dishes, and they came to check on us every couple of hours. It took an hour to get a drink. Just meh and I’ve spent less on a nice hotel room.

Amazing fun place! Highly recommend checking it out ! Great place to bring a family or to come with friends.

Wellllllll I like to go to Cedar Point for the nostalgia factor as I used to go as a kid. The past 4 or 5 times have been a waste of time and money. The online tickets are 50-55 dollars but they are 80 at the gate???? Also expect to wait 2-3 hours in line for the good rides because The Maverick is ALWAYS broken, Top Thrill is no longer running (expect the new one to be broke just as often) and I like the Magnum but that one was broke too! So the other big rides have crazy wait times. Also 30 dollars for parking. Lame

What a huge disappointment. They do not give out maps, and their app is hot garbage. There are zero signs in the park showing where to go. No consistency regarding personal belongings once you get to the ride. We waited 1.5 hours in a line only to be told we had to exit the line because we had a backpack. EVERY OTHER RIDE HAD A LOCATION FOR RIDERS TO LEAVE THINGS WHILE THEY RIDE.
Multiple rides closed, including the iron dragon, dragster and most of the kiddie rides. But, they still charge full price. They sell you a “RIDE AND REFRESH” pass, and they keep half of the refresh stations closed.
Cedar point is great at taking your money, and delivering subpar user experiences. Save your money, and go somewhere else.
Apparently, the money you spend is not being spent on maintenance as a woman was SERIOUSLY INJURED when a piece of the “Dragster” ride fell off. Look it up…

I hear Maverick is a great ride. One of the best. I wouldn’t know because this is the second year in a row where it was down all day for “maintenance”.
When arriving at the park, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Valravn, Magnum, Corkcrew, and Raptor all down.
This made wait times for usual walk-ons like Rougarou and Gemini 30 minutes.
Once Steel Vengeance opened, it went down for maintenance again after we had waiting in line for an hour. No single ride fast passes for the inconvenience. Just an announcement saying if you leave the line (after an hour) you are screwed.
While the rides when working are great, they are down far too often and Cedar Fairs/Cedar Point does nothing but apologize for the inconvenience and throws their hands up of “it’s not our fault”. We are paying admission to ride the rides. Seems like if the rides are down, compensation should be given in some form for “the inconvenience”.

As a coaster enthusiast I was blown away by this park! There was so much to do in one day but we managed to get on most of the bigger coasters. I would definitely love to come back and enjoy everything we missed. We only have one day to come to the park on Mothers day. It was a very memorable experience. I was glad I purchased the express passes to reduce line time however I was very let down that TT2 was closed which I had paid extra for in my express pass. Gemini was also unavailable that day and Valrvn had many break downs unfortunately. Guest services told me we could always come back another day except I explained to her that we flew in from Las Vegas for this experience so we don't have the luxury of just coming back within the year. They could have at least offered to give us some food/drink passes to make up for the money I wasted up grading my express pass for a ride that was not available to me. Food and drink at the park was very pricey for what we were given. I think I paid over $20 for 3 tiny pieces of beef that was very dry.
We did pay for the photo package to capture all our fun pics and that was totally worth it. The people at the booths were very helpful when getting your pics centered just right also. Sometimes they don't come out correctly on the kiosk but they can crop them for you if you ask.

We went to Cedar Point two days of our trip there and they could not have been better. We enjoy the rollercoasters so we did lots of those and could not have liked them more. We also did other smaller rides that were just as good. A few that we enjoyed are Maverick, Gatekeeper, millennium force, steel vengeance, and Rougarou.

My wife and I stopped at Empanadas and More about 6:10, and spent $30+ dollars on food. The meal did not come with napkins. I went back to the middle window where the napkins were and went to grab some, and the owner grabbed my hand and arm like I stole something. He was not nice nor apologetic for the instance, and all I wanted was a few napkins. It falls in line with cedar point politics…. Never come back again

We have had season passes for six years. The deadline to renew at $99 per pass was Labor Day. We attempted to renew on Monday evening, tried for over an hour through six password changes, three unexplained emptying of our "carts," two attempts using different browsers and two attempts using separate servers. All was in vain.
CP admitted to us today that their servers were overwhelmed and that many people suffered the same fate we did. However, that doesn't matter. The price is now 25% higher for renewal, and no one at Cedar Point is willing to do anything about it.
"Sure it was our fault," CP admits, "but you shouldn't have waited until the last minute to give us your $200 for the right to use the park eight months from now. If you want the passes renewed, pay us the higher price."
Cedar Point's newest terrifying ride runs right through the Customer Service Department.

This is the best amusement park I have ever been to and have been twice. If you love the thrill of roller coasters, you will enjoy this spot.

We live close enough to Cedar Point to make trips whenever we want...I used to have season passes. The rides are fantastic and halloweekends are even better.

Only put enough rides in operation that is absolutely necessary. As I stand here waiting in line for my 3rd one hour wait, I can't help but notice there are plenty of staff and they still will not put more cars in operation. This amusement park is not about showing people a good time. It's about milking them for all they are worth.

Fun rides and clean park. There are a lot of bugs and dead fish smell by the beach. Seagulls will bomb you periodically but the rides are worth it. Get the drink ride and refresh pass. Food is very pricey. Many rides go down especially Millennium Force but Steel Vengeance, Gatekeeper and Maverick are worth the wait. Fast pass worth it for Maverick and Valryvn.

Its such a amazing place to visit and has crazy views, The best rides imo are Steel Vengeance & TT2, Best Amusement Park Ever

This park is amazing! The lines are well-managed, service is professional, bathrooms are clean, and the rides are fantastic. Great family fun.
Wish we had downloaded the app earlier as it has lots of helpful park info. Definitely good to get there at (a little before) 9am if staying at the hotel. That first hour was great with little to no lines. Highly recommend this place!

Always loved Cedar Point. And I still do. Coasters and plenty of rides. My only complaint are the workers. I know it has to be boring doing the same old thing over and over again. But, holy smokes. I am sure if a tornado was coming they all would be dead. I was in line for the giant Ferris wheel. One half an hour to move up one aisle. Look at his board, talk to the other worker. checking the other seats, talk to the other worker, check the board. Oh, we can now move the wheel, repeat. Other rides were vey similar. We gave up on the Ferris Wheel. Besides that, Love Cedar Point.
A disappointing day
Our family has always loved going to Cedar Point but not for their fall season. Limited ride and food venue openings resulted in very long wait times. We bought all day eating and fast pass plus passes (which are super expensive at $149 a person) and it just wasn’t worth it. It’s too bad as the park was decorated fantastically for Halloween. We won’t be back in the fall.
