Experience of a Lifetime!

By Aditya B |

The park was stunning! Our pedicab driver Maruf was great and very informative, definitely recommended for anyone taking this tour. He covered most of Central Park while also giving us helpful facts about what we saw!

Great

By Dan B |

It was so fun walking around Central Park. The park is massive with lots of things to do. We walked on some days, took bikes on others, and did group activities on the rest.

A great hot afternoon in CP!

By june252000 |

Central Park as many have said is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. This time we took a pedi tour, which was an excellent idea considering the July heat wave. The driver was friendly and informative. Of particular interest to us was the Alice in Wonderland statue as our daughter had just started as White Rabbit in her theater camp’s summer performance. You could spend hours at the Park, especially in cooler temperatures. A definite must do while in the Big A.

Happy life

Central Park NY

By Thrasos C |

A beautiful place in Manhattan with lakes and trees for walking and relaxing. You can take your pet with you, in winter there is an ice skate, you can ride roller and bike.

my trio

By Kristina |

The place is enjoyable and the scenery is beautiful when i was in the part but the teenagers are quite bothersome around here.

Amazing

By Jaikub R |

Central Park is such an iconic spot! Whether you're taking a stroll, enjoying a picnic, or just relaxing, there's always something special about the green space right in the middle of the city. Definitely a must-visit destination for anyone in NYC!

Perfect place

By Janna Lopez |

No matter what you have in mind, central park always lends itself to the season. Last time we went it was snowing and yet it was beautiful.

Electric bike needed 2h minimum rental

By porquesieva |

Super nice, large, caring, but exhausting to visit on your own by normal bike, we recommend investing in electric bike rental, are exhausting slopes, minimum rent of two hours. We took 1h and besides going super fast throughout the park, it was exhausting and not enjoyed. I recommend booking half a day at least to enjoy it. Very good points to make unforgettable photos.

A place that makes you feel like you’re in a romance movie🥹

By Mols |

Central Park is absolutely everything I dreamed it could be. Walking around feels as though you’re in a romance movie!

It’s beautiful and there are so many incredible views of the city as well as loads of precious little squirrels and birds, we even saw a black squirrel which I’ve never seen before!

Think it goes with out saying that a walk around Central Park is a must with visiting NYC🌳

Oasis in chaos

By jhon184 |

Park very nice and well maintained.
It doesn't even feel like being in town, except for the skyscrapers.
A great place to relax.

Central Park

By Kimberly F |

Central Park should be on everyone’s bucket list. We spent most of a day walking through the park. Beautiful! I can not wait to go back!

Rat infested!!!!

By Rodriguez J&B |

I visited Central Park today after many years of having moved away from NY. It was so disappointing and disgusting to see a ton of rats just running onto the pathways. The rats were running into people and were not even afraid of people. It wasn’t even night time. It was broad daylight when the rats came out. It was very disappointing that the park is so dirty and that it is overrun by rats. New York you have to do better.

Beautiful park

By Felix0791 |

Beautiful excellent place to hang out with family and friend is quiet and very good atmosphere

Every time I come to New York if I don't go to Central Park it's like it's not like it's gone through New York.

Enjoy every moment of the year

By sabina s |

An unforgettable place all the seasons, riding a bicycle, chariots, curcinths, ponds, lakes, restaurants, fountains, sitting corners, everything. Lovely and a must visit. Enjoy it a minute. In the memory of John Lennon in front of his home window overlooking Central Park there is a kind of monument to his memory.

So Much Magic in Central Park!

By CarolynNYC |

Central Park is the ultimate free and permanently wonderful place to explore in New York. Visiting? Start at West 72nd and hang out just inside at Strawberry Fields on a weekend morning. Listen to the guitarists taking turns playing John Lennon’s music, people watch. Or walk around the Reservoir (1 1/3 miles of city skyline views). I like the North Woods for birdwatching and quiet, and am excited about the new walking path around the Harlem Meer (northwest corner of the park). You can’t go wrong with the Conservatory Garden at 105th street and 5th avenue (which adjoins the Harlem Meer). There’s so much more, in any season!

Green in the concrete jungle

By shani b |

A bit of green in the middle of the concrete jungle. lovely area, ideal for both locals and tourists. we visited together but it was raining. probably best to visit on a nice summer day or if it snows around christmas. still worth it

Beautiful views

By Harold Riveros |

It is a very beautiful park, you breathe a quiet environment perfect for chatting with friends and walking for a good time, I recommend to visit it

Gorgeous Walk

By Becky F |

I took a little visit up here one morning whilst the rest of my party had another tour booked. It’s such a fantastic place and it felt a world away from the hussle and bussle of New York City.

There is a fantastic lake and reservoir with stunning picturesque views elsewhere. I’d highly recommend a visit, no matter how short as it’s a lovely place to take a break from the main city!

An inviting oasis within the big city

By Imliooper |

This is an oasis right in the middle of bustling New York City. Covering a landscaped area of 843 acres, it is a marvel and must see for the visitor to the city.

It was a grey, wintry day in the early afternoon that we went. The lake had frozen solid. Despite fallen snow on the paths, there were plenty of people, varied ages, out to enjoy this unique oasis. Little ones were having fun, in strollers, holding adult hands or even running ahead on their own. Hats, coats, gloves and scarves were all de rigueur for the weather, inclement as it was.

Central Park Boathouse was open and inviting, in case one fancied a hot drink or victuals.

New York’s Central Park is reputed to be one of the most visited sights in the US, whatever the season. On visiting this place one can understand why it’s so popular. Located smack in the middle of Manhattan, and yet once you’re there, it feels so calm and serene, a semblance of being far remote from a big city.

Bike ride

By Isa M |

A wonderful walk. We rented an electric bike and toured the park making stops to enjoy the views. Mandatory stop at John Lenon's corner, where spending time listening to songs and people singing is a nice experience,

very beautiful and very large park in the city center

By JFBGC |

very nice and very large park in the city center with several lakes. the place is relaxing and quiet with lots of different spaces

THE PARK IN THE SKYSCRAPERS

By Biba-Bibo-12 |

We were there in the late afternoon when the colors of the park begin to change with the sunset.
A beautiful walk with squirrels at your feet and the skyscrapers that surround you.
From this park fantastic photos!!

Cold in the park

By bcheong |

Probably too cold this time of year to fully enjoy the park. We started from the south part where Park plaza and Ritz carlton are. Walked a bit, there is the ice rink with ticketed performance. And a small kids park

FABULOUS

By tony b |

It would take tons of pages to describe the beauty of New York's Central Park.
Passing through it is something magical, with squirrels on the move and birds that catch your eye at all times.
Nature is bewitching and suggestive among ancient trees and wonderful plants.
And you cross incredible sculptures like Alice in Wonderland. Dogs here enjoy immense space to run and wag their tails.
It is certainly one of the most fantastic attractions in the city!

Central Park Highlights

By Megan Graves |

We started our day at Central Park at Sara Beth’s for breakfast (which was outstanding). We had researched some of the things we wanted to do and followed it. Our order was Pulitzer Fountain (which was closed), Balto Statue, Bethesda Terrace, Cherry Hill, Strawberry Fields, Bow Bridge, Loeb Boathouse, Alice in Wonderland, and Beledere Castle. It was 90 degrees so after the boathouse we didn’t continue any further as we had already done a lot of walking. There’s concessions throughout the park (so get a hot dog of course). There’s public restrooms but spread out. We paid the $25 to take a row boat out and had a lot of fun doing that and we were able to get a lot of pictures. The Strawberry Fields honoring John Lennon were a highlight. They had local musicians performing and we got to hear one of them play Imagine. We avoiding the cab guys and the carriage rides. It was expensive. There’s lot of vendors selling merch and other local art. Do your research before you go and map out what you want to do as it’s a lot of walking and you want to be going the same direction and not backtracking. We stayed at the Empire Hotel so were close to the park. We spent about 4-5 hours hanging out at the park.

Our urban oasis escape

By Ricky Wayne |

We spent hours getting lost in this magnificent park! From rowing boats at the lake to picnicking in Sheep Meadow, every moment felt magical. The Bethesda Fountain area was quite busy, but we found plenty of quiet spots for romantic moments. A perfect break from the city's hustle.

Endless Space to Explore in the Middle of the City

By Our Own Path - Kassie and Rick |

Central Park is one of those places that somehow feels different every time you visit. Whether you’re walking the paths, watching the boats, exploring landmarks like Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, or just sitting and taking it all in, it offers a real pause from the city around it.

While we live a mile+ away and get up here multiple times a year, this review is a bit different and specifically is for spending time with our teen nieces here during a very hot summer week, and even then, it felt refreshing, especially in the evening when the park comes alive in a quieter, more relaxed way. It’s easy to tailor a visit to whatever pace you need, whether that’s active exploring or simply slowing down.

A must-visit for anyone coming to New York City, and just as special for those who already know it well.

So much to see!

By Lisa K |

Such a great place to exercise, wander, relax as you watch a softball, volleyball, etc. game or just people watch. Trails take you through so many different area. I wish I'd had my bike and will probably rent one the next time I'm there. So much to see!

Nice walk in Central Park

By nicolaspazzo |

Nice walk in Central Park. I really advise you to go there when you are in NY. The place is truly amazing if you want to go in a quiet place and if you also want to see the squirrel.

Oasis of calm

By OlJe74 |

An oasis of tranquillity in the middle of New York's urban jungle. Here you can walk nicely and escape the city hustle and bustle.

It doesn’t matter what season that you visit. Central Park is always filled with activities and people enjoying them and the outdoors.

A real gem that offers so much to New York City

By Janna |

We walked through Central Park twice this past weekend. I am so impressed with this park...clean, safe, diverse, so much to see and do. Kudos to the Central Park Conservancy and the public volunteers that have kept this special park in great shape. We were glad to have our map app because there are so many paths throughout the park. So much to see...ponds, lakes, large lawns, volleyball and pickleball courts, runners, walkers, bicyclists, statues, amphitheatres, restaurants, hidden nature nooks, parades on the east side. Go. Enjoy all the park has to offer.

The Oasis of New York

By Clamino73 |

The green lung of New York is worth a visit. I was lucky enough to see the foliage in November. A spectacle... So much tranquility, so many fascinating views, a parenthesis in the noise of the city. Park very well maintained, clean and relaxing.

Relaxing

By Bruno Braga de Oliveira |

The Central Park has no comments, beautiful location and very well taken care of, it is very worth walking without compromises through this iconic park.

Beautiful park

By June J |

Beautiful and super clean park, full of history and gorgeous views. This is a must-see for every visitor. The pedicabs are great if you find a good driver.

Great place for families to spend a day outdoors.

By Annette L |

My husband, daughter and I took a carriage ride through Central Park. Central Park is a great place to visit with many activities, a carousel, and a couple of restaurants. We got to see several locations that we could identify from different movies. We had a very nice day in the 70s for our visit. We did not visit the zoo.

Central Park New York

By Hugary1 |

A goat set of lungs for New York. Place for people to exercise, sit and contemplate or just have a relaxing walk.
Lots of benches, bubblers and interesting activities going on. Jazz to a Chinese music player.
We had a great walk through a small park of this massive area. Loved the vibe,

Lovely setting

By Lilian D |

Beautiful park especially with traces of snow around the park and the water totally frozen over. We walked here for quite a while and soaked up the atmosphere.

Very dull

By Caroline LP |

You hear a lot about Central Park about how it’s an oasis of calm in the city, whilst it was calm I was so surprised at how it appeared unloved and in need of a good gardening team to tidy away the dead foliage, there were no evergreens and everything just looked so drab.

Wonderful walk with a guide through Central Park

By Janweb23 |

We really enjoyed our tour of Central Park booked through it's website.
Juan gave us a tour round part of the park with interesting information about its history and also included information about New York in general.
The tour was well-paced in the heat with shaded areas.
Juan was a great presenter and also gave us ideas for what to explore during the rest of the day.

A Refreshing Stroll Through Central Park

By David |

Central Park offers the perfect escape from the noise and bustle of city life. With countless attractions and scenic spots ideal for photography, it’s a place that rewards slow exploration. Plan to spend at least 2–4 hours wandering its paths to fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility it has to offer.

Stunning Park on a cold crisp but sunny February day

By Joyce J |

How stunning to see such a beautiful park in the middle of NYC.
It was stunning seeing it after it had snowed and although the paths were clear the grassed areas were still full of snow.
We decided to take a Pedicab around the park so we could get to see more of it than on foot.
We negotiated the fare on the day which we felt was a good price for the 4 of us (2 x cabs). They took us around so we got to see the Ice Rink, Bethesda Fountain, Bow Bridge, Strawberry Fields plus the Dekota Building, The plaza hotel as well as a couple of other places used in Ghostbusters, Home Alone and other movies.
If we would have had more time we definitely would have spent more time here getting to see more of the park.

Iconic Place for a Stroll

By Rose Tea |

You just can't go wrong with a stroll through this iconic park! Great opportunity for before or after the Museum of Natural History or the MET.

Unforgettable tour

By Patricia D |

Definitely worth it! Too beautiful and the landscape in autumn is amazing!!
Since the park is large, I accepted the recommendation of a friend and locked a pedcab. Got to know several nice points of the park and the guide still goes telling several stories.

You can't grasp its grandeur until you walk through it| Finché non ci cammini dentro, non capisci la sua maestosità

By MatttMatttMattt |

Another must-visit stop!
You should set aside at least half a day to stroll leisurely through the park, it’s truly worth it!
And if you want to feel like a kid again, you absolutely have to stop by and see the statue of Balto!

***

Visit to Central Park

By DestinationDrifter |

Nice place to go for a walk if in New York. Easy to walk to from a lot of locations and a short subway ride even if it takes a while to walk to. Also has a great zoo you can visit.

Great for relaxing, exercising, jogging, ice skating, walking and watching animals.

By Dear Philipps |

We were in New York for 7 days. We have visited Central Park several times. Always south of the Onassis Reservoir. One day we went jogging in the morning shortly after opening. Another day of skating. Once we went for a walk in the evening. And once we visited the Strawberry Fields. All experiences were positive.

nature in city

By Ozan E |

Excellent location to make picnic, fresh air and enjoy the nature. Even you can do some sports there. With a city concrete and skyscrapers this place is like a lung of human.

It's a respite inside the hectic visit of beautiful NYC

By Adriana Mora Castro |

Really, it's not wasting a second of the NYC half experience. Here you go.
Rhythm of the city and enjoy everything!! It's fantastic breath and then continue with the itinerary

FUN- EXCITING AND CHAOTIC!!!

By Freddie Henderson |

It's good! Not Excellent but Good!! Greenery - Yes! But feels too crowded to just have a moment. The bridges, lakes, gardens, and a few landmarks make it a great place for pictures. If you want to be somewhere quiet and serene, best to avoid the activity areas- or else it is likely to be much crowded. The Shakespeare Garden is beautiful. Mornings are less crowded, so yes, that is the best time to plan your visit.

Incredible, I recommend going in autumn

By Thaelayne G |

Amazing, the park is huge, you need to walk a lot more, but it's very worth it, I highly recommend going in the fall, the trees are amazing, the look is sensational, you really feel in a movie setting all the time, the park is clean, very well taken care of.

Peaceful Escape

By Robin G |

This park is a peaceful escape in the heart of NYC, offering beautiful landscapes, walking trails, and iconic landmarks. It's perfect for relaxing, picnicking or exploring. A must visit.

Incredibly beautiful park that is worth a visit!

By Mia H |

Incredibly beautiful park with well-kept areas and nice trees. If you choose to ride a bike, there are several beautiful roads you are not allowed to ride on, only the major roads. Recommend to go, there are many places to rest and watch the fine squirrels. Please bring your own food and drinks!

Nowt Special

By TheFussyTeenager |

A little underwhelming, to be honest…so much of the grass had been fenced off and wasn’t very luscious looking. It was fun to see the park on a sunny day with so many people out relaxing/playing. Perhaps a TV/film site tour or similar would be a better way to experience it.

Extremely enjoyable!!!!

By Andrea D |

We visited at the beginning of August, warm, but pleasant. It is very extensive and diverse, several bridges, lakes, many attractions, such as Belvedere Castle, the terraces of Bethesda and its great fountain, a strategic place to take a break. Several monuments such as "Strawberry Fields", created in memory of John Lennon, "Alice in Wonderland" and even a theater, among many other things. It is a space that invites you to carry out a wide variety of activities such as a simple walk, a picnic, enjoy the architecture, sculptures, art and beautiful views of the city with the incredible contrast of nature and skyscrapers. Admission is free and there is plenty to do and see in this magnificent park!

Paradise

By Nicola Z |

The mythical Central Park, a green lung for New York, a walk inside and feel all the well-being, ponds, manicured lawns and squirrels coming down from the trees, frame this relaxing place.

Iconic

By Alexandre H |

It's the heart of New York. Known all over the world, this park is extremely pleasant to stroll in the snowless seasons. I visited in late summer and it was all green and beautiful. Impermissible.

Great city park with so much to offer

By David N |

Definitely one of the most amazing parks, particularly given that it is in the centre iof one of the biggest and most popular cities in the world. We spent a couple of hours here and believe we barely scratched the surface. The park is relaxing and there so many options of things to do to enjoy your time here.

Beautiful park

By Mélani |

It is a beautiful park to be able to stroll and have vegetation in the city.
It's a bit of a shit.

There are very nice views.

Perfect size for a late morning or afternoon wander.

By Grace Annette C Y |

As Manhattanite, I rarely have time to play in the park, right across from where I live.
I did, forever, got a chance to visit a friend in spring and she wanted to walk the park together with her cutie dog Ricky.
We all had fun and I got to rediscover this New York City Gem.

Blissful

By Charlotte M |

A perfect reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the City!

Central Park was one of my favourite places on a recent visit to NYC. Full of memories lived through movies & TV - Home Alone, Elf, Gossip girl…to name but a few!

A fantastic place to sit, contemplate and people watch! Musicians playing jazz, dance music and (of course) some John Lennon.

I’d love to visit again in the warmer months and spend a day on sheep meadow 🤩

A slice of nature in the heart of NYC!

By Neys T |

Central Park is an urban oasis with its lush landscapes, iconic landmarks, and tranquil spaces. From picnicking on the Great Lawn to exploring the beautiful pathways, it’s a fantastic spot to unwind. Don't miss Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge for stunning views. A must-visit!

Amazing Park. Take a Tour!

By Vanessa |

You have to visit Central Park when in New York, there is so much to see! As it is so big, it would take hours to walk around so we spent two hours on a Peditour, which was lovely as you get to seeing all the important sights and you get driven around whilst covered in a cosy blanket (separate review for this).
The park is obviously free of charge and you can wander around as long as you like. It wasn't busy when we went, a few joggers around, the Boat House had a few people in, but it's so big, I can't imagine it would be packed unless there was an event on.
The things to see are probably, John Lennon memorial, Strawberry Fields, Zoo, Home Alone Bridge, The Castle, The Reservoir, Dakota Building , Angel Fountain and some historial figures.
Definitely worth a visit, I would seriously consider a tour.

Leisure time in Central Park

By 李华 |

Strolling along the tree-lined trails, you see people sweating on the playing fields and feel the vitality of the city. We also rented a small boat to row gently on the lake and enjoy a quiet time. Although there are many tourists, this natural beauty makes us feel relaxed. Overall, Central Park is the perfect place for couples to relax and enjoy their lives.

Pretty but not the safest

By GAR |

I didn’t feel safe at all in the park after dark as a woman alone. To be clear I wasn’t there at night, but at 5pm when the sun sets early in winter. Even on a main path it didn’t feel safe to me at this time. However, the park is very beautiful and well worth a visit in the light

Unchanged beautiful

By Serge Ydo |

Yesterday we walked through the park, on our way to the Guggenheim Museum on 5thAv. Nice experience with many ahaa moments. Ran in Central Park several times a week in the 80s .. I noticed now that much has remained the same. Nannies with their babies and preschoolers grouping together for the entitlement and conviviality .. only difference is that the nannies of white women are colored after Asian and South American women. And the buggies look a little flashier. Older ladies in haute couture walking their dogs .. cleaning up poop was probably not there then. Now a lot of young men type work student walking a dozen leashed dogs, mostly those mini fidgets. The park is unchanged beautiful .. fortunately.

Strolling a beautiful park.

By NLK |

A real bucket list trip.

We walked through Central Park to get to the American museum of natural history and we weren't disappointed!

What an absolutely stunning park, made better by snowfall the previous day. We covered a lot of ground just by walking through and it was great to see the famous home alone spots.

I can't wait to return if I come back to NYC.

MANHATTAN LUNG

By Felix S |

The Central Park the an impressive Manhattan lung park, is 4 km long and 1 km wide, there are lakes, roads a lot of groves, spectacular

Peace amongst the hustle and bustle.

By easternbreak1 |

The iconic and legendary Central Park lives up to everything that you expect from it. Whether it’s Strawberry Fields, Bow Bridge or Bethesda Terrace, it’s an amazing place to walk around and explore.

Central Park

By Hender D |

We went there and walked around central park. NYC has a lot of park but this is my favorite park. Surrounded by nature made me so calm.

A private moment in a bustling city

By Trail594976 |

I had some private family business to take care of in Central Park. I happened upon the Hallett Nature Sanctuary, which was a beautiful oasis within the oasis of Central Park. There were winding trails with lookouts and rock outcroppings overlooking water below. Before I went in, I encountered a park worker, Austin, who really helped me out. He stopped what he was doing and showed me his favorite parks of the sanctuary, where he would bring dates in the past, and later, his kids. It was clear he loved Central Park and loved working there. I really appreciate his kindness that day.

OASIS IN THE BIG CITY

By RuSaBu |

Not really sure why my teenage granddaughters wanted to visit Central Park since we live in a rural area with a park-like setting, but the area is beautiful. And respect to leaders with the vision to set aside this valuable real estate for the public to enjoy. Since it's so large, my suggestion is to look at a map before you go and decide which parts of the park you want to see. Our highlight was looking down on the Turtle Pond from the Belvedere Castle overlook. But there's lots to explore.

Nice park

By Rickced41 |

Beautiful park located in the heart of Manhattan. It is lively on weekends with artists, joggers, walkers...

A great park - plan accordingly

By TheFamGuy1 |

Plan ahead to see what is of interest and where the closest food lies. Watch the lanes in the park - bikes, runners and so on. Check the events calendar to see if there is a concert or special event before you travel.

A beautiful park in the middle of Manhattan

By Jim |

Central Park is a 778-acre park in the middle of Manhattan. It is very nice to have a peaceful stroll through the park, especially when the weather is nice. There are many people used the park for walking, sightseeing, and/or jogging.

A breath of fresh air in a concrete jungle

By kuroiTenshi |

Lots of fun wandering around the trails. Lots of people but never really felt crowded. Tried to get some food at the Boathouse but it was full up, so ended up just having a picnic watching people sail their boats on the lake and listening to a busker playing jazz, with skyscrapers in the distance. The place can easily suck up all of your time, it's so chill - if you're on a schedule keep an eye on the clock!

Amazing visit to NY Central Park

By Brooke W |

As a solo traveler and over 65 - I felt so safe in NYC. Just loved it. I stayed midtown and went to Central Park every day. Walked various routes, saw lots of squirrels and went on a tuktuk for an hour. The whole thing was awesome. NY Central Park is so vibrant and cool - lots of people having a really good time. Easy walking distance. People really helpful and friendly. I went to the zoo - really well done. A must do for anyone visiting NYC.

Pure emotion!

By angela0809 |

A concentration of emotions in which many places of our imagination and what has been the background of many film shoots are found. From the Bow Bridge of "Autumn in New York", to the corners of "Mom I missed the plane", to the lake of "Come d'incanto" and many others. It seems to have been there before, to be part of those New Yorkers who walk or skate with the iconic skyscrapers as a backdrop. How beautiful!

Pretty and people people people, and sweaty people.

By Jstinger |

Huge and beautiful in the world of tall buildings and masses of people. There are thousands of people on the road in the park and around you at all times. Don't go for the quiet tranquility, go for the greenery and fresh air.

Our NYC Oasis

By Matilde Michael |

We strolled through, totally forgetting we were in the middle of NYC. Such a peaceful environment, it was lovely. We even saw some cute kids having a blast at the playgrounds. It was surprisingly chill, perfect for a couple's walk. We'll be back for sure! So much green!

Huge contrast with the city

By Sebastien_D54 |

We strolled a few hours in Central Park during our stay in New York, the park is very large and wooded, and so as I say in the title, this contrasts sharply with the city located only a few meters away. The weather was nice, the ride was very pleasant and we were able to meet street artists of all kinds, newlyweds, and very many not at all fierce squirrels who make their show. There are many things to see in Central Park, very scattered, it would take a day to see everything, but I still think it is essential to make a jump.

Awesome park!

By Shanya h |

The park is beautiful. It’s hot, so wear a hat and sunblock. Make sure you know exactly where you are going. Because it’s a big park.

Amazing Pedicab experience with Central Park Attractions

By Kell D |

We had such a fabulous tour with Bek on Friday 17th Jan. He was so knowledgeable, funny and an amazing photographer! He took us to some great spots in Central Park, we were there for our 10th wedding anniversary and he captured some beautiful moments on a sunny winters day in NYC. What a great start to a wonderful trip. Highly recommend Bek and Central Park attractions.

Fantastic

By mkunnen63 |

What a beautiful and large park in such a metropolis. Strolled around here for hours and lacked eyes. Beautiful bridges, fountains, water features, castle, vistas, view of the city etc etc etc.
No visit to NYC is complete without Central Park.

My wish fulfilled

By Ghazal |

I had always had a dream to run in this beautiful park and today I did it. I am very happy and will never forget this moment.......

Silly mut mishap

By Martha Wells |

It was lovely xx BUT there was a problem.. as I was taking my dog for a walk he FELL in the pond.. I would not recommend if your dog doesn't have a leash. yet I enjoyed looking at the beaUTIFUL scenery while my dog was getting saved 10/10!!

The beauty of Central Park

By LaVale |

Beautiful park where nature is the master. Ideal for long walks among squirrels. If you have any peanuts with you the squirrels will come over to eat. Inside the park you will find a cute castle to visit with a view overlooking the lake. Possibility to rent boats and travel the large lake in the heart of the park. There's also a puppet house but when I went it was closed. Park maintained very well. Clean but I recommend entering during the day because in the evening it is poorly lit thus becoming an unsafe place.

Pretty, but Lacked the Wow Factor

By Zanderzaidan |

Central Park is, of course, one of those places you “have” to see in New York — but for us it was more of a tick-box than a highlight. Aside from the Loeb Boathouse, which has a bit of charm, the rest felt a little bland. Bethesda Terrace was definitely the standout — cinematic and instantly recognisable (you half expect John Wick to appear at any moment) — but it was absolutely packed with tourists. Belvedere Castle, meanwhile, was… well, underwhelming. Small, crowded, and not much to see beyond the view you already had walking up.

The bigger let-down was the general upkeep: quite a lot of rubbish about, and more than a few odd characters lingering around, which made the atmosphere less relaxing than we’d hoped.

Overall, worth a stroll if you’ve never been, but don’t expect to be blown away.

Nice walk in the park

First time visit left a great impression. Stopped here with a tour guide on a walk through park. Was more than expected and park size is incredible. It’s a piece of the country preserved inside the walls of the city. Definitely a central gathering place for city dwellers to relax and enjoy their so well preserved green space. Numerous walking and riding paths exist. Beautiful water features embedded to add to its beauty. A must see on your next discretionary visit to NYC.

So much to see

By scotsguy31 |

A very busy Park with so much to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon walk here. Only saw a small fraction of it though due to its massive size. A Park we could return to in order to see lots more. Many excellent photo-worthy views of the city.

Lost in Love (and Central Park!)

By Analise May |

We spent an afternoon wandering the paths of Central Park, completely enchanted. From the Bow Bridge to Bethesda Terrace, every turn felt like stepping into a postcard. The energy of the city melted away, replaced by the quiet rustling of leaves and the laughter of children playing. A perfect escape for two lovebirds!

Walk in the myth

By Paolo C |

Huge park in the heart of Manhattan. Magic place where you can walk in the middle of the green in absolute tranquility. Beautiful views of water and tree-lined avenues. Spectacular view of Manhattan. Beautiful Bethesda Terrace decorated with the famous Minton tile ceiling. At the center of the fountain is the Water Angel, a symbolic sculpture that celebrates the purity of water and its connection to the New York water system.

Relaxation

By 4family1115 |

Central Park is oxygen for body and mind. Stroll through Central Park, enjoy the 360-degree panorama and admire all the wonders... on a beautiful spring day, what else?
And the squirrels in the trees and gardens, pure wonder for my boys and also for us adults. Nice presence in the park.
I would come back to New York for many reasons, one of all to walk in Central Park.

Central Park | Bike Rental | Yes or No?

By Ted S |

As a uniformed volunteer in Central Park, tourists often ask me about renting a bicycle to tour the greatest urban park in the world. I've discovered that many visitors who rent bikes end up very much regretting it.

So, if you plan to visit Central Park, should you rent a bike? The answer is both 'No' and 'Yes,' depending on your goals for your visit to Central Park.

NO, DO NOT RENT A BIKE TO TOUR CENTRAL PARK. If you want to see Central Park's top attractions, for example Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Bow Bridge, the Great Lawn, etc., then you should NOT rent a bike. Why? None of the attractions are on the road, known as "the Loop," and it is forbidden by law to ride bikes on the footpaths, so you end up walking your bicycle to the attractions or locking it up near the Loop and walking anyway. For this reason, many visitors have told me they regret renting bikes; they say they should have walked.

YES, RENT A BIKE. If your goal is simply exercise, to zip around the Loop and enjoy the weather and scenery, then renting a bicycle is right for you.

Hopefully this information will make your visit more enjoyable, without any regrets.

Central Park is enormous and there is something for everyone. It’s really stunning when the park is in bloom. Colours vibrant.

NYC Central Park

By Gustavo Woltmann |

Visiting Central Park in New York City with my family was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like the city’s heartbeat slowed down just for us. The kids were instantly drawn to the open spaces, playgrounds, and ponds, while we adults loved wandering through the paths lined with trees, taking in the skyline peeking through the greenery.

We spent hours just exploring—stopping at Bethesda Terrace, watching street performers, and even renting a small rowboat on the lake. There was a perfect mix of peaceful spots and lively areas, so everyone found something they enjoyed. What really stood out was how easy it was to get lost in the park despite being in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world—it felt like a little escape together as a family.

By the end of the day, we were tired but happy, laughing about all the little adventures along the way. Central Park isn’t just a park; it’s an experience that brings families together, and ours will always remember it as one of the most special parts of our New York trip.

A Perfect Day in the Heart of NYC

By Vanessa C. |

Central Park is absolutely magical! My best friends and I spent the day exploring its winding paths, relaxing by the lake, and taking in the beautiful scenery. It’s the perfect place to escape the hustle of the city while still feeling its energy.

A peaceful escape in the city

By Gary T |

Central Park is a must visit oasis in the middle of bustling New York City. Perfect for relaxing, exercising, or exploring, there’s something for everyone, carriage rides, a zoo, boat rentals, and even self-guided tours with QR codes. Plenty of restrooms and seating make it convenient, though snacks and drinks can be pricey, so bringing your own is smart. The park is clean, safe during the day, and full of friendly dogs and playful squirrels. Don't miss grabbing a fresh fruit cup for $5—it’s a treat! A great spot to unwind or enjoy a slice of nature in the city.

Super Cool

By CanuckAlberta |

What an amazing place, we did a carriage ride for 45 minutes and barely scratched all the things to see in CP. Next time we visit I would like to rent bicycles and spend a day exploring the park. A must see in NYC.

Experience nature in the city center

It was impressive to see squirrels in the park. It was so wide that I could hardly make it around out of my three-day trip to New York.

Giant, by the way! We couldn’t do all that we planned but that’s awesome, we definitely gonna back!

Magical Place

Absolutely loved Central Park! Seeing it covered in snow made it even more magical. It’s such a huge place with so much to explore, and I can’t wait to go back and see more next time.

A walk in the park

By Miki M |

A great space for a bit of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we went to the Bethesda fountain a couple of times, they were shooting a movie in one visit, we also wet to bow bridge over one of the lakes, highlander, home alone 2 and John wick were all filmed around this area

The tranquil lakes offered scenic views perfect for photos. We enjoyed some outdoor activities, but it felt a bit crowded. A lovely spot for a couple’s day out, just don’t expect solitude!

Great On A Sunny Day

By craig1086 |

Probably the best urban park in America. It was nice to see so many people out, yet the vibe still feel calm. There were a ton of people out strolling with their dogs, as it was a nice day. Unless you plan to spend all day, you won't walk around the entire park in one visit. Many trails, and we saw people boating, playing baseball, and soccer. Nice reflecting pools as well to pitstop at. Despite the large crowds, it felt like the park was neverending, and had space for everyone. Bring your own snacks unless you're prepared to dish out $30+. The park is also kept pretty clean, which is a feat in itself. I'd come back again just to leisurely lounge.

Beautiful park

By carla f |

It is a beautiful place similar to the lakes of Palermo de Buenos Aires but bigger, it takes time to travel everything. It is advisable to go with comfortable clothes and shoes.
New York City must-see.

Beautiful apart from the Pool

By loredana A |

Beautiful, to do the bike ride is very relaxing is then stop to eat sitting on the lawn.
Avoid the pool , you have to wait in a long line to get in after which you can stay an hour, if you have food you have controls throw it before entering and everything else you have to leave in a safe but you have to buy the lock separately

Beautiful Park in NYC!

By Myfamilyvaca1 |

Absolutely amazing!

All of the beautiful acres of park in the middle of the biggest city in the world.

Large ponds, waterfalls, biking and running and just people literally everywhere.

I would suggest visiting the castle. Free admission and it's honestly not too exciting, but the air conditioning is blasting for a welcome cool off on a hot idea. The outside also offers some nice pictures.

Iconic

By Nigsy2008 |

An iconic park. With iconic landmarks.
We saw the Elf Bridge (Pine Bank Arch). And we also saw Bethesda Fountain & Bethesda Terrace where Kevin gets chased by Harry and Marv in Home Alone 2.

Wanted to see so much more of the park but having a packed inventory of things we wanted to do and see. Plus the amount of walking we had done. We moved on . . .

Mandatory stop

By JM Zepeda |

It's a must-see hike when visiting NY
That if you don't trust me, I got lost crossing it and ended up in a non-visitor access area where they finally helped me cross the park through the restaurant I was heading to after I got to know the park

The park is beautiful, I had to be facing a lake, see families enjoy, student games, people playing sports but most importantly enjoy the place

It's not just any park, it has its magic and many places for the souvenir photo

Only eye when visiting

Be careful when traveling and don't go to waste

Poor. Never again

By Rob B |

Walked most of Central Park with my misses. I don’t know why people rave over Central Park. Scruffy park. Awful fencing to keep people off the grass making the place look cheap and taking. You get hounded by bike riders for tours around. Loads of gangs by the looks of it trying to sell cooked fruit near the water falls. Same lot who try and sell near Times Square. A random guy in the waterfall section scooping out all the change thrown in by tourists.
There’s far superior parks in the uk
Won’t be back again anytime in my lifetime

Central Park in the Rain: Unexpected magic on the way to the Met!

By Walter L |

Even a rainy day in New York can give unforgettable moments, and my walk in Central Park is proof of that! Despite the gray sky and a few drops, the park has taken on a very special atmosphere, almost intimate and melancholy, but incredibly suggestive.
The green of the lawns and trees stood out particularly under the diffused light, and the wet paths reflected the landscape creating almost pictorial glimpses. The crowd was less dense than usual, allowing you to enjoy the spaces with unexpected tranquility. The sound of rain on the leaves added a natural and relaxing soundtrack to the walk.
That walk was a magnificent route to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Walking through the park calmly, observing the details that usually escape in the frenzy of a sunny day, was a perfect way to prepare for the museum visit. The arrival at the Met from this "green" perspective was particularly pleasant.
Visiting Central Park even on a rainy day can be a fascinating and different experience than usual. Bring an umbrella and be amazed by the quiet beauty and peace that this incredible green lung can offer, even when the sun is hiding. It's proof that New York can be magical in all kinds of weather!

Our favorite

By Christean Kite |

The outdoor cafes offered the perfect spot for a cozy coffee break, while the running tracks beckoned us to embrace our playful side. We loved how peaceful the environment was, a delightful escape from the city's hustle. Each corner revealed a new adventure, from hidden gardens to scenic paths.

Loud noise and music

By Jan D |

Central Park is lovely and I was excited to show it to my friend for the first time. Unfortunately an event near the Bethesda terrace was loud and obnoxious, it ruined our planned peaceful stroll on the morning of Sunday 4/27. Loud music was played over speakers and then two or three women were yelling through microphones. We could not see the event but I’d guess we were 1/4 mile away and no matter how far away we got we could hear every word. It is a shame to allow an event involving maybe 100 people to ruin a lovely day at the park for hundreds of others trying to enjoy the outdoors and nature. Turn the speakers and microphones down where the event can be heard by the participants and no one else.

A lovely spot

By TheWoods04 |

Enjoyed a walk around Central Park on a Sunday morning. Lots of people doing exercise. Joggers, bikers, soft ball being played etc? Nice to have a wander and see the greenery. Went to visit strawberry fields to see The John Lennon memorial and his residence a short walk away where he was sadly shot.

Great Visit

By sprater09 |

We really enjoyed the park. We made a point to try and spend an entire day here since we have never done more than a small bit of it. We did the far end and walked the majority of it, stopping at the sites we wanted to visit. Really beautiful. It was amazing to see the small amount of people at the far end away from mid town. We felt like we weren't in NYC if we couldn't see the skyline. It was an amazing place to spend the day. Ice skating was the highlight.

Awesome

By DipuKV |

This huge, green lung of New York is a veritable oasis of quietude and raw energy. Superb place for a walk or for people-watching.

Must visit and walk

By hollyReading.Berks |

Lucky to visit on a hot march day, our 7 year old loved exploring and the play parks and rocks were a massive hit. Wonderful that it is located where it is, even those it wasn't crazy busy it still felt away from the crowds.
We saw the zoo and other areas but really didn't walk far considering how big it was. Our son loved the carousel and all the animals we saw in and around the park! it was. a nice break from the craziness of times sq etc...

Beautiful park!

By Hayley |

Central Park was a lovely retreat from the busy streets of Manhattan. It’s surreal to be in such a huge green space despite being in the middle of a huge city! Just beware of the constant barrage of people asking if you want a horse and carriage ride etc, just ignore these if you’re not interested! Lovely birds and wildlife in the park as well as some nice cafes. Would recommend a visit whilst you’re in the city!

Massive park in New York

By Nicholas T |

Central Park is a huge park in the centre on Manhattan. It has many different walking paths you can use throughout the park. Plenty of toilets if needed. Lots of open green areas that you can just relax in. Plenty of bench seating throughout the entire park for you to have a rest.

This beautiful park in the center of Manhattan is a must-see destination when in NYC. There is no other park like it anywhere all things considered.

Green experience and to get some fresh air!

By Luis Correia |

Central Park is one of the main attractions in New York City, it is huge and it takes time to explore it, but it is worth it.
There are restrooms, places to eat, the park is perfect to spend time with family, friends or as a couple.
Great place to do picnic, to walk with dog, to run or to play games in the grass.
Totally recommend to spend some time around.

The heart of NYC

Central Park in early December was one of the most beautiful things to experience. The fall leaves everywhere was something I don’t get to experience very often and it look my breath away. I throughly enjoyed walking around and taking in all the sights and truly left my heart here

Take a walk around the home to so many scenes from the big screen and immerse yourself in nature at the same time.

What a stunning park, so much to see and places to explore in it, you could spend the whole day if not longer walking around it. It's also a great place to admire some of the city's skyscrapers which tower over it from afar.

What an incredible day we had exploring this massive green paradise! From rowing boats at the lake to picnicking in Sheep Meadow, every moment felt like a romantic movie scene. The Bethesda Fountain area was our favorite spot - so magical! Can't believe this oasis exists in the middle of NYC. ❤️

Central Park NYC

By SammieAr |

Beautiful park, in the middle of Manhattan, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We strolled the park and visited many of the major points of interest there, including Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, Strawberry fields, Carousel, Imagine mosaic, Belvedere castle, Great lawn, etc.

There were horse-drawn carriage tours, pedicab tours, bikes for rent, as well as boats for rent. A popular place for sure.

Park vs Lifestyle

By ELS |

We had an amazing time at Central Park, and the PediCab ride was hands-down one of the coolest parts of our NYC trip! We cruised from our hotel a couple of miles out, straight into the heart of the park—such a fun, breezy way to see the city. Our driver and guide, Lee, was a total rockstar. Super knowledgeable, full of stories, and pointed out the history behind just about every landmark on our round-trip tour—all in less than an hour! The price? Totally fair. The experience? Way beyond what we expected. Gorgeous weather, a smooth ride, and storytelling that brought the park to life—can’t recommend a PediCab tour with Lee enough!

The best walk!

By Rosane Beatriz Z |

If you have little time, if you will stay longer, it doesn't matter, if you don't come here you don't know NY. Wonderful, immense, beautiful, full of details and curiosities cannot be missed in your script.

Who can not be in love with Central Park???

By Joan A |

Absolutely stunning. My favortie place in NYC, I have been going there every week since I was a child. When my parents first arrived in the States, there was not much we could afford, so going for walks in the park was a free, often and beloved event. Still first place I visit when I have not been in New York for a while!

Nice views and photos secured!

By Tania V |

It is a must in NY, I recommend renting a bike if you want to travel completely without getting tired. I had the gocity pass and included the rental of a bike from 10 to 6pm so we occupied it to walk through central park, making stops and then to go to the brooklyn bridge.

How nn take a walk in Central Park during this holiday?
Wonderful sunny day that made us taste the best of this gigantic park.
Well-kept paths and a path between beautiful trees and squirrels everywhere. I recommend crossing it during the day and not in the evening x nn have the unpleasant surprise of getting lost!

Snow on the ground and Christmas

By brewColumbus_Georgia |

Nothing like Christmas in New York when it snows. I totally played tourist this time and I’m not ashamed. Spent almost entire day in Central Park walking and playing in the snow- it’s even more beautiful in the winter that in the spring- maybe?

Very big and confusing.

By chantelleAmersham |

Central Park is massive and quite confusing, with all the little paths darting here and there, and lack of signposts or maps to the various sights, i.e. Strawberry Fields, Belvedere Castle etc. We went on July 4th, so there were a lot of people, enjoying the sunshine and their day off from work. In hind sight I wish I'd hired a tuktuk to take us all around the park and see the sights, it would of cost $90, but it would have saved my feet and I would have seen everything.

Beautiful

By Heather |

This is a massive, beautiful park. There were plenty of benches throughout the lower half of the park (where I explored) and clear, paved walking paths.

Needs More Interior Signage

By LexiV |

Central Park is a must-see and lovely on a pretty day. Unfortunately, we were there on a wet, cold day. Definitely go to the park, but I would love to see some more signage and some wifi available. It's easy to get turned around on the paths, especially in the north part of the park where there are less famous attractions.

Disappointing

By Viajero_pajarero |

So long have you heard of NYC's green lung and the truth is that when I was there, I was terribly disappointed. Lots of people, too many! You breathe the same stress as on the city streets. We decided to ride it by bike to go faster, but moving around in that medium is a risky adventure due to the countless cyclists and other vehicles that drive around at full speed. The park itself also has no special corners. In short, I didn't find the place charming.

Wonderful and immense park in the lung of the city, if you want to spend a day or an afternoon relaxed and forget about the noise and the city feet you have to travel this beautiful park, I recommend but that if you must go early for you to enjoy it and at the same time around you have where you can eat from the most basic to the most elaborate.
For couples, families, friends or alone, the truth is a magical place and you can play sports or enjoy it the way you want it healthy.

Iconic place! Big! We walked from the southeast corner to the Met, then crossed over & walked back by The Dakota & Plaza & Strawberry Fields. Wish we would have gone further to see the big open field you see on movies/TV & lake, but no time! Was fun to see all the dogs around & people watch. Nice respite from the busy city!

A Breath of Fresh Air in the Middle of Manhattan!

By Shawn Lemaitre |

I visited Central Park last April during my trip to New York City with my family, and it instantly became one of my favorite places in the world.

The park is huge, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, it’s hard to believe such a calm and green space exists right in the middle of Manhattan! We decided to rent bikes so we could see as much as possible, and it was totally worth it. We passed by the Bethesda Fountain, crossed the Bow Bridge, and stopped to admire the view of the lake and the city skyline in the background. It felt like being in a movie!

There are so many different areas to explore, open fields, quiet paths, and even a small zoo. My little sister loved watching the ducks near the water, while I enjoyed taking pictures of the cherry blossoms that were blooming at that time. We also saw street performers, artists painting, and families having picnics everywhere. The atmosphere was lively but relaxing at the same time.

What I loved the most was the mix between nature and city life. You can hear birds singing while still seeing the tall skyscrapers all around you, it’s such a unique experience.

Of course, not everything was perfect. The park was very crowded, especially near the main attractions, and food from the kiosks was quite expensive. Renting bikes was also a bit pricey, and finding a place to park them safely was sometimes tricky. However, these were small inconveniences compared to how enjoyable the visit was.

Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Central Park to anyone going to New York. Whether you want to take a peaceful walk, do some sports, take pictures, or just sit on a bench and enjoy the view, there’s something for everyone. It’s truly the heart and soul of Manhattan, and no trip to New York would be complete without spending a few hours there.

We enjoyed our visit to Central Park. It has many fun sculptures and some beautiful scenery. We loved the musicians that hang out there, too! Super cool place to visit! As big as the city is, it’s not hard to find uncrowded space here to hang out in the calm and quiet atmosphere.

Central Park Initial Experience

By Happiness24664166238 |

Very comfortable, green and green, the Central Park retains the most natural ecosystem, there is not much manpower, in this crowded New York City, it is really a piece of pure soil, allowing people in the crowded city, can get rid of the annoyance to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Green oasis between skyscrapers

By sara f |

Central Park is a vast green oasis nestled between Manhattan skyscrapers. With its over 340 hectares, it is much more than a simple park: it is a true micro-world made of lakes, forests, endless meadows, scenic paths and corners rich in history and art.
It is a place that changes its face with the seasons: in autumn it lights up with vivid colors, in spring it blooms with spectacular blooms, in summer it comes alive with concerts and outdoor activities, while in winter the Wollman Rink pond turns into a magical ice rink.
The best thing? Get lost in its narrow streets and be surprised each time by a new glimpse, as if the park always had something unexpected to offer.

Great Cycling/Biking Track and lots to explore

By Dhananjay N |

A very huge park with lot of things to do. There is a dedicated one-way cycling loop shared by the cyclists and e-scooter riders. One loop took about 10-12 kms. Must visit place when in New York.

A quiet spot to unwind amidst the urban chaos

By Isidore Ciel |

It was a nice break from the city’s hustle and bustle, and we loved strolling through the scenic pathways. We even stumbled upon an outdoor concert, which added a lively touch to our visit. While it’s not as grand as some might hype, it’s definitely a must-see for its charm and accessibility.

The trees are really pretty , and so is the lake
a great place to walk, jog , or just relax !

amazing place

By RandomTraveller |

Central Park is huge, so it's best to plan ahead and decide what you'd like to see before you go. We visited Bethesda Fountain, which was absolutely stunning. It's one of the park's most iconic spots and definitely worth a stop. With so much to explore, it's easy to get lost in the beauty of the park, so having a rough idea of what to visit can help make the most of your time there. Whether you're walking, biking, or just relaxing, Central Park offers a peaceful escape in the heart of New York City.

Perfect for kids to play. And perfect adults to chill! We spent time at the playground, the fountain, and walked the Rambles. We chilled on the grass near the natural history museum and climbed the rocks. Both my kids enjoyed the downtime on the grass and would happily go back!

Green oasis in the city

By Karin |

Beautifully landscaped park with a natural look. Green oasis in the city. Lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Lots of birds and squirrels. Don't forget to visit the Bethesda fountain, known for the film adaptation of 'Angels in America'.

Essential visit

By Adrian V |

It's just spectacular. There is everything!!!!! It's lucky in a big city like New York that they have this super green space in the center. Every corner is lucky charm. It’s a must-see stop even if you can’t see everything at least the essence of how New Yorkers enjoy this wonderful park.

Something for everyone, the people of Manhattan are so lucky to have this

By august01 |

Huge park in the middle of the city. It can take more than 1.5 hours to walk the length of it. It includes a small zoo, a children's petting zoo, fountains, a lake, entertainers, children's play areas, a bandstand, rides, amazing historic buildings. No matter what you like, there's something for everyone, and it's such a treat to stroll throughout it and enjoy the relative peace and tranqulity.

One of the best to enjoy NY

By Maria |

It could be the first place you would visit to see the essence of the city, it seems incredible to enjoy peace and beautiful landscapes in a hectic and diverse city. But it would also be the proper rest after walking, shopping and.eating. Every time I can return to NY, I will come to enjoy it, just walk, watch and also the music in different places and characters like the Beatles-themed guitarist, or the ensemble on another road near the lake, the cyclists or those who exercise; everything represents the cosmopolitan city.

Best park!

By Alondra |

One of the best parks I’ve ever been too and love it each time! Always something to do, it’s big, beautiful, and always a fun time.

Very nice.

By Amandamnd93 |

Beautiful park with a considerable extension.
There are dogs that are loose but without any problem with them. Squirrels are used to people and although they don't come close enough to touch them, they don't say no to food. I saw how there were people who gave him and no problem either.
You see there is activity, there are people walking or playing sports, even children hiking
Everything is clean and from some places very good views of the surrounding skyscrapers are offered.
We had coffee in a cafeteria that was inside the park and great for palliating the cold.

Superb park

By Jérôme B. |

A park of extraordinary dimensions in an exceptional city. A real pleasure to walk in this green space that allows to disconnect from this incessant activity of the city. A real lung for this city. The spaces and courses are varied with bodies of water, benches, many paths for sports activities. To do absolutely during your stay.

Central Park : Don't forget to visit it.

By Γεωργιος Τ |

Great park in the city center. It's clean, safe with interesting subsections. Easily accessible. Definitely worth the effort to devote at least 1 day to it. There are also bicycles to use .

Oasis in NYC

By Boschie |

Hard to believe you're in the middle of New York City once you step into Central Park. We only had time for one visit, but enjoyed every minute.

We entered at 72nd Street with a breakfast bun from Gray’s Papaya, and enjoyed it while listening to buskers playing John Lennon songs at Strawberry Fields. From there, we strolled across the Bow Bridge, stopped by the Boathouse, and made our way to the Bethesda Fountain, finishing with a lovely walk down The Mall.

This cool, peaceful, and beautiful park is the perfect place to relax and people-watch. An absolute must for anyone visiting NYC!

Urban Oasis

Central Park is beautiful, peaceful, and full of activities—perfect for walking, picnics, and enjoying nature in the heart of NYC.

A nice stroll

By Jeff S |

It’s always a pleasure to walk through the park, however we noticed the park was rather dirty this time round. Hopefully the mayor gets this sorted out.

New York New York, Central Park what an historic place.

By Amazon1 |

We took the horse drawn carriage ride. It was a great experience, a good way to get an overview of the park. The Park Speaks for itself. The history of this place is amazing. I would put it this way. If you have not been to Central Park you have not been to New York City. You have to take a stroll through one of the most famous spots in the world.

A location to be savoured - you could spend a day here

By ShaneMcDonald |

I really enjoyed Central Park, it’s something I have seen in movies and TV all through the years but this was my first visit. I really enjoyed the area knowns as The Ramble which is adense, 38-acre woodland area and apparently it is a world-famous haven for birdwatchers for good reason as we saw American robins and the Red Cardinal.

The walks were great - we certainly got in our steps on this day, it is wonderful as you are winding, on maze-like paths and we did get wonderfully lost at one point but as a result we were discovering rustic bridges, hidden clearings, and rocky outcrops with every turn.

Certainly a place I would love to revisit and explore further

Fabulous park

By Arlette J |

Amazing. We went to Central Park on our last day. Beautiful blue skies, autumn colours..what more could we ask for. It was pretty cold, but understandable. I loved the various wildlife around the park and that they don't run off, just happy to be around us..fabulous. The walk was lovely. I should think we saw about half the park. If I visit New York again, I will absolutely return.

I have some great photos, if I can edit this post another day, I will add some photographs

Too iconic to miss!

By centralvic |

Our visit to Central Park was lovely. We didn't notice the free maps until too late, though I got one as a souvenir once we saw them. In the meantime, we'd criss crossed a lot, but it didn't matter, because it was a lovely fall day.
Even though this year the trees hadn't begun to change, it still absolutely felt like Central Park! Paths, statues, Bethesda Terrace, Sheep's Meadow, Bows Bridge.... it feels like walking around a movie or TV series set. It's beautiful in its own way too, with the buildings skyline behind trees.
It's not a necessity to visit here, but it seems a shame if anyone new to the city didn't spend at least a half day here.

It’s central park

By Timothy M |

Many places to see and explore. Has a lot of beautiful plants and trees, as well as great ponds and activities for the whole family. We spent a couple hours walking through it and I don’t feel like we scratched the surface. Will definitely go there again on my next visit.

Cuz I'm Happy! Hope2

By leon w |

I ventured into New York City for a glimpse of the HMVC Gallery New York group exhibit above the Pele Store. My artwork Hope2 was on the jumbotron. It's a quick walk from Penn Station to Times Square. Just a quick walk up 7th Ave. to 45th St. and you are there! Food, lights, activities galore - day and night! The city that never sleeps!!!

Bike Ride

By Acineto |

Central Park is an escape from the city life in NYC. I cycled through the park with a friend who lived there. It made it a bit easier to be able to see the many different sights within the park. Many of the places didn't have a bike rack so it would be a bit hard interacting with the sights without someone looking after the bike, which was a downside. Biking allowed us to see a large portion of the park in a short time frame. If you are biking, just be aware that the road around the park goes in one direction. There should be arrows indicating the direction.
There are many things to see and do inside the park itself. There were also many things inside which were in movie scenes. I particularly enjoyed the Bethesda Fountain and Belvedere Castle, but I came during winter, so the gardens weren't blooming. There were many tours and horse carriages around too.
There are a few famous landmarks located around the edge of the park, including the Metropolitan Museum and the American Museum of Natural History. It is definitely a great place to visit when in NYC. It does get a bit sketchy at night but most of the main pathways are lit up.
If I had more time, I would have liked a day to just walk around the park to explore and experience all it has to offer.

Magical

By Reb |

Absolutely beautiful after snowfall. A magical place to be. I recommend visiting the rink and attempting ice skating, even if you’re not particularly good at it. A cherished memory.

Park for all seasons, including winter!

By BoMama |

Walked from SE corner to Tavern On The Green. Lots to see and do. Took photos of the bridge. Rode the carousel. Outdoor ice skating rink looked popular. Trails walkable and safe. Central Park is for all seasons!

Imagine

By caporasof |

Finally got to see Strawberry Fields in Central Park. I am a huge John Lennon fan so it was something that i wanted to see. I don't know why it took me so long. We drove in from NJ and parked on the street about a block away from the entrance. Parking is metered and it cost a little over $13 for two hours. We went and saw Strawberry Fields and the Imagine site. The trees and daffodils were in bloom and the weather was in the 60"s. It was a beautiful day to be there. We walked around in the area and also saw the band shell which was hosting a marching band from South Carolina who were terrific. In that same area were vendors selling artwork and jewelry. We had a great experience On the way back we stopped and saw the Dakota where Lennon lived which was right on our way. Definitely go to see this, especially if you are a lennon or Beatle fan.

Central Park is a definite visit when you are in Manhattan

By Thetravelsaint |

If you are in Manhattan - it is well worth a quick stroll or even better, rent a scooter for 1 hour and zoom around and through it with ease. If you want to picnic, sure, but there are a lot more to do and see in the Big Apple.
Don't be fooled by the horse carriages and personal guides (sorry, it's a tourist trap) - it way better on your own.

Bring a Blanket for Nice Days

By Randy O |

I visited Central Park on a beautiful day with my son, and while the weather was perfect for an outing, it was very crowded. It was tough to find a spot to sit and relax because so many people had the same idea. That said, the energy was lively, and my son still had a great time exploring. Just be prepared for big crowds if you’re going on a sunny weekend!

The park a stone's throw from the center

By Luca P |

The park of Americans
Ideal for long walks, runs or simple walks
The park of squirrels (looking for food...)
Nice clean and plants kept tidy
You can also visit it on board the horse carriages (but it costs a bit)
Beautiful green corner close to the city
A visit here is a must

Lovely Park

By CMTravels 🌄 |

Beautiful park, visited on a warm sunny day and the park was quite busy. We had photos taken at the bridge by a friendly young guy and had a stroll around before we did the horse & carriage ride.

Huge!

By Jennifer S |

You don’t realize how big it is until you start walking it. Had 20 sites on my list to see, couldn’t even get halfway through and I was exhausted. So much to see & do. You need to leave a whole day to spend here to see all of it.

Nice change of pace

By Fireweed25 |

We were able to explore Central Park on a cool, sunny day. We walked through the park from the Met through to Columbus Circle with stops at Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, Bow Bridge, Bethesda fountain, the Mall, and the carousel. We enjoyed views from Belvedere Castle, a snack at a fruit stand, listening to a gentleman singing Beetles songs at the Imagine memorial, and wedding photography of a couple at Bethesda fountain. Central Park is a calm natural refuge perfect for relaxation in a busy city. I think early March does not do it justice. It must be spectacular in spring with blooming flowers and full trees.

Must see especially in the snow.

By Devries87 |

I got to see Central park in the snow! If you have the chance it’s stunning !!! So much to see you could spend an entire day there .

Unmissable

By Sergio_G_G49 |

A stunning park, with contrasts and many things to visit, as you can see from a castle, to take a picture with very modern buildings in the background. It is worth spending several hours, to visit as much as possible of your multiple options.

Our green oasis

By Gun Bones |

Central Park was our much-needed escape from the city buzz. We just walked for hours, hand-in-hand, discovering winding paths, charming bridges, and quiet spots by the water. It was the perfect place to just slow down, talk, and enjoy being together. A truly romantic and essential NYC experience.

In a movie

By stevie_v |

You think your in a movie the whole time you are here.
We took a bike ride which you can hire for an hour.
Lots to see, the weather was brilliant warm in the sunshine even though it was 10 degrees.
Visit the dakota building were john lennon was assassinated and a short stroll to strawberry fields, even if your not a beatles fan , like me

One of the best urban parks in the world

By busconi |

Whenever we come to NYC, it seems like it is raining or snowing, but this time we had a glorious day....sunshine, slight breeze, 75 degrees....perfect for a walk-about the park. And what a great park it is. We wandered and wandered....Strawberry Fields, Hans Christian Anderson Statue, Belvedere Castle, Alice in Wonderland, The Great Lawn, the Obelisk, The North Meadow, The Ravine, The Reservoir, Bow Bridge, Sheep Meadow, the Zoo....we walked for miles and saw as much as we could. And what a people park this is....runners, bikers, families picnicking, walkers, sunbathers...a true treasure in the middle of a massive urban city. We also walked out of the park to take a look at The Dakota...always loved John Lennon. We love Central Park

A peaceful escape in the heart of the city

By Snow on Tour |

Central Park is the perfect retreat from NYC’s hustle. Whether you’re walking, jogging, or just relaxing on the grass, there’s something for everyone. Beautiful in every season, with must-see spots like Bethesda Terrace, the Ramble, and the Reservoir. Don’t miss it—this park is pure magic!

Beautiful place. A pleasant corner of wildlife among the stone jungle

By Mariia K |

A must-see in New York City! Especially in autumn or spring.
Beautiful, atmospheric. There are secluded places where you can hide from the crowd of tourists and just enjoy the beauty around.
Many interesting animals and birds moving freely around the park. There are, alas, as many homeless people as there are in New York City.
There are cafes and restaurants on site, but prices and congestion are higher than usual.

Huge large park

By Linda H |

You must have been here once. Oasis of peace among the hectic pace of Manhattan. No cars are allowed to drive. There are also trails for runners. Large "pond" where you can paddle with a boat, many squirrels seen. Many places where you can sit quietly. Beautiful fountain, castle, bridges etc There is even a zoo. A lap on the outside running is about 10 kilometers. And note: the park is really not flat!

Week in New York with family

Loved Central Park
Visited in February so cold and had snow , but wrapped up warm
Walked for hours around Central Park
Great views
Can highly recommend

Magical, don’t miss it

By kristaPGHPA |

This stunning park cannot be missed if you are in NYC. It’s a must do, in my opinion.
This park is huge. We were only able to explore the southern end of this park in our short trip. Around every turn is a spectacular view of the city and you are standing in a stunning green space. There are so many buildings, ponds, rocks and surprises around every corner. It’s very magical.

Nice to spend a few hours in Central Park

By R Van |

I only heard of Central Park from the movies before, and now I got to see it for the first time in real life, although I don't live that far away from it.
It's really big. I love the lively vibe. Watching people is very nice to to, so divers.
There are also food and snack options and it's fun for kids too!

Danger ice signs not clearly placed

By TeriyakiGirl |

Went sight seeing. Followed a group of people unknowingly across the lake through an opening with steps while frozen. Loads of foot prints across so just followed them to be called by police and asked for ID No explanation they walked off with them then came back with a ticket for us to pay saying that the signs were clearly posted but they were all tucked to one side and not placed where you can enter the lake which would have more logical. Signs asking for you to keep dogs on a leash were in your face all the way round so why not put them next to them. I would not have been stupid enough to walk across and risk my child if I had seen it. But no explanation off the police was more annoying. I even went back to look for the signs which were tucked away and not in line of sight. A complaint will be put forward so no one will be caught out again.

Bikes in Central Park

By Erin K |

If you have ever wanted an adventure in the park, I would suggest a peddle assist Citibike, rented throught the Lyft app. We decided to go a few hours before the sun set, when most families have already spent the day at the park, and less people would cross the streets. We were able to do the entire loop of Central Park, stop at a few points of interest for photo ops and continue on. If you want to set out and see the sights this way, its a fun way to see it all.

Avoid, not worth the time

By Mattclarkson |

Constant hassle from Horse carriage drivers and rickshaws who will not leave you alone, dirty too, I saw lots of rats, should be a great park but isn’t.

Park is magical and well maintained

By Adventure Diva |

We love strolling through the iconic CP at all seasons. It's an plus to go during the holiday time with all the magical white lights adorning the trees.

Of special mention is the mosaic honoring John Lennon. Located near the Dakota (where John also lived and unfortunately was murdered) lies a mosaic in the center of Strawberry Fields. In the middle of the mosaic includes the word "Imagine." What a great tribute to this iconic songwriter and also considered to be a peacemaker with his lyrics and actions.

Soothing and also hugely engaging!

By kristofCh |

Incredibly beautiful place, soothing! But at the same time, this park has so much to offer! Artists, acrobats, cyclists, horse-drawn carriages.. memorial site John Lennon! You should definitely go here when you are in NYC!

Too many people wanting to take your money avoid

By Memaga |

Too many scam artists in the park avoid. There were gymnast dance guys who ‘ hustle ‘ people out of money. Avoid. If u are booking a bike for more than a few hours just take the city’s citibike. Avoid the guys who cycle you in a carraige$5 per minute. The city should sort this out

Fantastic park

Very beautiful park to spend a day…amazing place to have a picnic or just walk around and enjoy those fantastic views…Highly recommended !

A peaceful escape in the heart of NYC

By Al Harith A |

Central Park is absolutely beautiful. The air feels fresh and clean, and the park offers a peaceful break from the busy city. I met some wonderful people during my walk, and the natural scenery is incredibly relaxing and picturesque.

It was a truly lovely experience.
Anyone visiting New York should take the time to walk through the park and appreciate its beauty — it’s a must.

Conservancy Central Park Tours

By Sook H |

Interesting and fun Conservancy Central Park tour. Tour guide, Carla was knowledgeable and informative about the history of the park and New York City. Highly recommend the tour whether you’re a first time visitor to the city or visited many times like me. There are many tour providers but the “Conservancy Central Park” tour goes to the conservancy of the park.

Always live it

By mikerusco |

Breathe and relax even just by lying in the shade in the sheep medow or if you prefer the bike ride throughout the park. Other things are even more expensive... but going there and back to see all the social and ethnic groups in the city

A dream come true!

By Michele |

Needless to say. Like being in a movie. Every corner seems to have always been there.
Shot everything with rental bikes and made various stops.
Beautiful views.
In spring, perfect temperatures, blooming peaches...what about.
A day that the whole family will remember for life!

visited new York last august and may I tell you its just like the movies!
cant wait to go on our second trip but this time with the kids!

Always worth a visit

By Kayakgirly |

Went for a morning run around Central Park whilst visiting NYC. Paths great but disappointing lack of toilets open or open early for visitors. Eventually found an open facility after trying 2 others.

Great Park with Good Service Too.

By Armaan |

This was a nice experience, especially considering that we don't live in New York and actually live quite far from New York. I never knew this park was a thing until I watched a documentary on Netflix about it. I really like the entire area, and the fact that Timesquare is next door makes it feel even better.

A walk in Central Park Manhattan should be on your list of attractions.

By soloflyer2018 |

I partly walked and then used a Pedi-Cab because it was going to be a two and a half hours walk.
I got to see everything that I set out to see including The Alice in Wonderland Statue which was top of my list and I fed the ducks! The park still had snow here and there which made it more picturesque. I would love to see it in another season eg Spring or Fall.
It has a lot of interesting history and quite a few movies and TV shows have been filmed here eg Autumn in New York, Home Alone, Sex in the City.
The park greets many visitors and New Yorkers every day. It is one of the most talked about parks in the World.

Un must a New York

By Frunze M |

Inexplicable how you can feel away from traffic and city stress while being in the city center

By Beveraldo |

Very pretty. Easy to get lost. Great place to people watch. Lots of wildlife (birds, squirrels of different colours, and rats). It is so big you might need to come back a couple of times to even scratch the surface. We only managed the southern 3rd of the park and hope to come back to NY to explore more another day.

NYC's Green Hug

By Celia B |

Seriously, it's HUGE. Expansive lawns for days, perfect for a picnic. We stumbled upon cute outdoor cafes and some surprisingly cool public art. It's like a whole other world in the middle of the city. We felt so relaxed, it was a nice break from the concrete jungle.

Visit nothing special

By Luciana G |

In the summer I found nothing special, a strong smell of horsebust on the street and a strong smell of urine as well. Maybe in the summer it is not so pleasant to visit. I was disappointed. Via in the park landscape films had another idea. But ok to meet.

Clean escape from the city

By Alexis B |

A lot cleaner than most places I visited in New York. The park is also very huge and seems to provide many spots to walk to and check out. It really is a nice breath of fresh air from the densely populated city.

Like a fairytale

By Cassie H |

I can spend hours in this park. Every time I got I find new spots I’ve never seen before. But my all time favourite is Bethesda Terrace.

Beautiful at any time of year

By Isa_Granada |

Beautiful in any climate and time of year. In summer there are many outdoor activities, many people walking, walking with dogs, boating, it is charming. In winter, the snow leaves an unparalleled charm in the landscape.

Beautiful park

We stayed there for more than three hours and only covered half the park. Certainly with small children but is gigantic, as is all New York for the rest.
Things to see from activities, people, squirrels as if it were raining. To do absolutely.

An Urban Oasis You Could Spend Days Exploring

By Kieran M |

Central Park isn’t just a patch of green in the middle of Manhattan—it’s a masterpiece of nature, architecture, and history all woven together. From scenic bridges and grand fountains to serene ponds, statues, and winding trails, this park is full of surprises at every turn. Honestly, you’d need a week to truly uncover everything hidden within its 843 acres.

We loved spending a couple of hours here each day, bagel in hand, strolling through shaded paths and relaxing on the memorial benches scattered throughout the park. It’s the perfect way to pause and take in the beauty of the city.

If you go on a warm day, don’t miss the Boathouse Café—they serve an unbelievably refreshing homemade lemonade that hits the spot after a long walk. Whether you’re here for a quiet escape or a full day of adventure, Central Park is an absolute must-do in NYC!

Beautiful

By Carry A |

it offers a perfect escape from the city's chaos while still being easily accessible. Whether you're into nature, history, outdoor activities, or just want a peaceful place to relax, this park has something for everyone.

Great oasis in the city

Peaceful and beautiful park

By Nera V |

Central Park is absolutely beautiful. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk, a picnic or simply to enjoy nature surrounded by the city’s energy. Every corner feels peaceful and full of charm.

a piece of nature

By Travel Blog Anna Blunschi |

A large piece of nature and tranquility right in the bustling heart of the city – Central Park is Manhattan's green lung and a welcome contrast to the gray skyscrapers. The park offers numerous sights, activities, and beautiful paths that invite you to take relaxing strolls. Since the park is truly massive, I’ve put together a suggestion for a walking tour. It’s a smaller route, which was perfect for us in cold weather. In summer, I would recommend a longer tour – perhaps even by bike.

Handsome

By Cristinia M |

I have lived in New York for 17 years and how not to talk about this beautiful park it is an immense green screen so beautiful

Pointy end at the front

By Kevin S |

Obviously a huge area in one of the worlds most expensive cities for real estate dedicated to being just a park for the residents of the city. And it appeared well used with both locals and tourists in numbers. But there were plenty of areas where you'd find yourselves walking alone in nature. But that presents a slight problem in that signposts are non existent.
Bethesda Terrace provides excellent views. And the boating lake great fun, people rowing, I just felt like shouting "pointy end at the front" as people had absolutely no idea that the square back end wasn't for going forwards.

Green lung

By Kicco66 |

It is the largest urban park in New York and one of the most important in the world. It is more than 4 km long with lakes and waterfalls, in short a forest in the city. We visited it in winter, certainly in summer it is more lush, but it's strange to be practically in the middle of the green and see the skyscrapers overlooking the plants. Very picturesque ice rink in the park. Cute and very fast the inhabitants of the park, the squirrels.

Central Park even with wonderful rain

By si gira il Mondo |

Sitting on a bench even in the rain the place is magnificent I would say sometimes spectacular. Walking is something amazing and magnificent. In December with the rink even more beautiful, ice skating in the central park is something wonderful.

Calm peaceful walk

By Denise |

We visited Central Park in March. A lovely crisp morning for a walk around the park. Lovely to take in all the greenery, plants, shrubs and wildlife and hard to believe you are actually in a city in the USA when it’s so quiet in the park!
We past a coffee bar near the lake where people were enjoying the beverages and relaxing.
Peaceful morning out.

So Beautiful

By Jamie |

Central Park is one of those places that somehow manages to feel both alive and timeless. You step in from the noise and pace of the city, and suddenly everything slows down not completely, but just enough that you notice things again. The air smells like grass and rain (or sometimes hot dogs, depending on where you are), and there’s this sense that the park has seen everything: first dates, breakups, picnics, concerts, naps under trees, and people just walking off their thoughts.

It’s huge, but not in a way that’s overwhelming. You can wander aimlessly and still stumble into something beautiful like the Bow Bridge, which feels cinematic even if you’ve never seen it in a movie, or the Ramble, where you half expect to find a hidden cabin or a poet with a notebook. The soundscape shifts as you move kids laughing near the playgrounds, jazz echoing off Bethesda Terrace, the faint clip-clop of horse carriages.

And I love how democratic it is. You’ll see runners training for marathons next to couples taking slow Sunday strolls, tourists gawking at the skyline, and New Yorkers just reading or doing nothing at all. Everyone belongs there.

Honestly, Central Park might be the best argument for why cities need nature not just for beauty, but for balance. It’s like a giant collective exhale right in the middle of Manhattan.

If you go, don’t rush it. Bring a book. Get lost. Let it remind you that even in the most crowded places, there’s always a little room to breathe.

Simply Divine

By WilliamMolina |

A special place, charming, fascinating, unforgettable, would return to New York just to take another walk in Central Park. Walking or pedaling you will have an amazing experience, full of beautiful and amazing places. Go to NY for a walk in Central Park.

New York Oasis..

I stayed at hotel nearby and this was like OASIS in the city. We walked around the park and it was so refreshing. You should come to Central Park if you are in New York!

So relaxing ☺️ 🌳

By nightowl1812 |

Central Park is a beautiful place with a lot of pretty lakes and it is very clean too .
There are scooters that you can rent , but you are only allowed them in certain areas. Also , you can even drive a boat in the lake and it is $30 for every 20minutes
It is a must see in New York for sure 👍

He Great Green Lung of NY!

By villalegre1973 |

Spectacular park, the great green lung of New York!!
Plenty to walk, about 4 km long and 800 meters wide, (with meadows, artificial lakes and waterfalls) and to rest and if the day accompanies sunbathing and be able to enjoy this green oasis and get out a bit of the busy city life!

Weekend Trip to NYC

By Gregory C |

Central park was amazing! We rented electric bikes to get around the park. We visited every area. Had lunch at Tavern To-Go food was great! Also visited Little Italy for dinner, I recommend IL Cortile on mulberry street. Food and service is always amazing!! I've been dining here for 30 years! Bryant park was very enjoyable as well. we dined at Bryant Park Grill. Food and service awesome.
The only down side to our weekend trip was Ubering it can be very expensive. We spent $400 in 4 days and walked 42 miles.
Accommodation's - Margaritaville Times Square very clean, centrally located, small pool, beautiful city views from the room.

Central Park was our much-needed escape from the city life. It is heart of the city, accessible from anywhere in NYC. You can just walked for hours, discovering winding paths, charming bridges, lot of greeneries, and quiet spots by the water. A truly romantic and essential NYC experience.

Obviously its prime area in one of the worlds most expensive cities, real estates are dedicated around the park for the high value residents of the city. And it appeared well used with both locals and tourists in large numbers all the year. Central Park is indeed one of the main attractions in New York City, it is immensely huge and it takes plenty of time to explore it completely, but it is worth it.

Great place to do picnic, to meet friends, to walk with dog, to run, ride cycle, boating in various lakes there, or to play games in the grass. There are restrooms, places to eat, the park is perfect to spend time with family, friends, solo or as a couple.

Giant park.

The place is very careful and huge. It is impressive a park of this magnitude in the middle of one of the largest metropolises in the world. What bothered me a little was the smell of urine in some places.

My favorite place in America.

The ride of our lives!

By Amelia W |

James was so lovely and kind! We are on a girls trip and he approached us very sweetly and promised us a good ride… he definitely delivered! 10/10 tour guide and overall great guy! We saw all the movie spots and his knowledge about the part was so impressive! We had such a great time and would recommend to anyone who wants a leisurely view around the park!

Central Park is for you and not just the billionaires

By Kevin O |

Central Park is a must see destination to truly grasp what living in NYC is all about. It is a sanctuary within a concrete jungle of sky scrapers. I spent three hours walking the grounds and saw all the spots that appear in movies like Annie Hall, Manhattan, and any other Woody Allen film. If you are with your spouse or significant other, seeing the park from a horse drawn carriage is a romantic and sure fire way to take in the beauty of NYC. No wonder so many billionaires have views from their pent houses overlooking Central Park. I promise that a visit to Central Park will bring more riches to you than any billionaire could ever imagine. Go!

The best

If I had to choose just one place to visit in NYC it would be this. Beautiful at all times of the year and with stories to tell and landscapes to enjoy. It is really worth touring in full.

A summer picnic in Central Park is an experience you must have. Especially on the Great Hill area which has access from 106th st and Central Park West. Some rules apply for activities in the park so check them out before you go.

Gotta go and walk and walk. Take the trails and explore. Surprise after surprise. Walk around reservoir a must. It is most definitely a wonderful oasis among towering buildings and honking cars.

Green in the heart of the city

By Martin |

A really huge park compared to parks in Europe. A green heart in the middle of the hectic city of NY. Great for jogging or other sports activities. Several water points to linger.
Many visitors on sunny days. Don't miss the "Alice in Wonderland" sculpture ;)

Calm in the Heart of the City

By soulofindonesia |

Tucked within the rhythm of a city that never sleeps lies a rare moment of stillness. A park that invites you to pause—to simply sit, breathe, and reconnect. As the first light breaks over the skyline, New Yorkers begin their quiet rituals: walking their beloved dogs, stretching into the day with mindful movement, or simply soaking in the calm before the rush.

Here, the lake mirrors the city’s towering beauty, a glassy reflection of ambition and grace. In that moment, as you watch the city awaken, you can’t help but ask: Is there a place more beautiful than this?

A great way to spend a relaxing day wandering around Central Park. Peaceful in some places and lots of activity in others but a spectacular park to wander around uptown.

The perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle

Central Park is an oasis in the heart of New York City—a must-visit for locals and tourists alike! Whether you're renting a bike, taking a leisurely stroll, enjoying a picnic, or catching a performance at the Delacorte Theater, the park's charm is undeniable. It's a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle and a place where nature and culture beautifully intersect.

Great to relax and re-energise

By Med |

Central Park is one of the greatest parks to visit in a metropolitan area. Practical all Tv shows, location New York, have used the park. Legendary the fight between Davos and the IRON FIST at the Bethesda Fountain.

Green Core

The park is worth a thorough visit: on one side there is the part dedicated to John Lennon, then there are ponds and meadows in which to lie down and relax. There's always someone who plays good music.

Central Park in the heart of Manhattan

By Sébastien M |

Beautiful Park in the heart of Manhattan that contrasts with the city. We identify with the American way of life within this expanse of greenery dotted with bodies of water and squirrels.

Freshness

By claude508 |

One of the must-sees of NY , freshness in July despite an excessive outdoor temperate. Great walks but pay attention to athletes and other cyclists , a zone and alleys are reserved for them and it rolls fast .

Great park

Great park in midtown Manhattan a place to stroll and remember views of countless movies and series

Green in the middle of the city

By German_Addick |

A New York stay is nothing without a walk in Central Park. Depending on where you go to the park, there are different things to see. It's a little different around every corner. In the heat of the day we stayed mainly in shaded areas and used them seats in the shade.

Nice Escape from Busy City Life!

By Brenna |

Central Park is definitely worth a visit when visiting New York. It does fall lend itself to being one of the city's most famous attractions, but it is worth it to escape some of the hustle and bustle of the city itself. We visited in December/January and it was lovely to stroll around the park in the fresh, crisp air. There are plenty of people but due to it's vast size and numerous activities there is no element of it that is considered "too busy". Stroll through the park, rent a bicycle, or take a horse drawn carriage tour around to view the various sites such as Strawberry Fields, Bow Bridge or Bethesda Terrace. It’s an amazing place to walk around and explore.

Greatest city park

By Potomac_11 |

We have visited Central Park many times. It is huge, beautiful, varied, full of people from all over the world. It never gets old no matter how often you go.

Oasis between buildings

Disconnect from the noise, lights, and hustle of the city is worth it and there you get it. Natural bubble full of life, trees, sport and children.

Green in the city but does not seem to be in the middle of nature. As green as it is chaotic. The feeling of relaxation that you seek in nature is certainly not found here.

Great Park - Must Do in NYC

By Randy |

Loved the park and just felt jealous that my city has nothing like it. This was my second visit and will advice to plan ahead based on the amount of time that you can spend here.

Visiting the park for the first time without a guide can be a huge waste of time. Specially on a hot day and if you have limited time. You'll waste a bunch of time trying to find places and is easy to get lost (even with a map).

It is bigger than it looks on paper!

In my previous visit I decided to explore the park without a guide and did not get to see everything I wanted. This time I decided to hire one of the pedicabs at the entrance on 59th street and surprisingly enjoyed it. Our guide was very entertaining and enthusiastic. I got to see more in 1 hour than than on my own. Just be sure to negotiate the price they will start at way higher than they will actually go for.

Also, for those recommending to rent a bike - these are no cheap either and you will still get lost with no guide.

The Green Lung of New York

By andrea s |

The well-kept green lung of New York, there is no New Yorker who does not come here to run , or relax in the many benches. It offers views that remind you of the many films filmed here, you can not fail to come

Beautiful Central Park……

By HolidaymakerfromHove |

My 4th visit to Central Park and still only seen about half of it.

Do not underestimate the size of it.

We entered at strawberry field to see the Imagine/ John Lennon memorial (having previously visited his former home in the Dakota building on the upper west side.

We visited the Bethesda Terrace, the lake, walked down the tree and bench lined mall and exited at the south east corner to visit the Plaza Hotel.

Central Park is an absolute must see when in New York.

Plan your visit.

Wonderful space

By Marcia A |

Central Park is a wonderful attraction, in the heart of the city, has lakes, castle, stairs and beautiful bridges, it was exciting to visit this place, there is also a zoo.

Lots to see

By mrk |

Lots to see well worth a visit as centeral park is massive I’d recommend doing a pedicab ride you spot at lots of key spots along the way for photos and lean about the park from the driver. Recommend booking online or paying in advance to ensure you get a fixed price.
