One of a kind beautiful artwork!!

By Kathryn M |

I have seen chihulys art work before and fell in love with all of them. But this exhibit on particular is my absolute favorite!!! There are sculptures that will take your breath away, and his talent is unmistakable! I was lucky to arrive on a day that there was a tour guide that was taking the group all around the whole exhibit and told us about this pieces and about chihuly himself. There was also a in person demonstration where everyone got to see the process of creating blown glass, which was a case in that demonstration. The gift shop was expensive in my opinion but they had some wonderful and beautiful things to purchase of money isn’t an issue for someone. Even though I went by myself I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and would highly recommend anyone in the area who loves art to definitely check out this exhibit.

Beautiful beyond words

By Danielle |

This was beyond what I expected. The installations are amazing. I love glass work and have never seen anything like Chihuly glass. Loved watching the glass blowing demo.

An Amazing Experience

By shalini_gupta_4 |

Wow! I wasn't able to stop taking photos of everything I saw. The glass sculptures are located both inside and outside in the garden as the name implies. Completely spectacular.

Stunning

By Flavia Marcondes |

I bought the Seattle Pass, and took the time to visit the Museum after climbing the Space Needle.
All parts very well explained. Impressive and beautiful everything I saw. A true journey through a world of colors and shapes.
It is a permanent exhibition of the work of Dale CHIHULY, a North American artist from Tacoma (40 minutes from Seattle). Inside the building there is a very good restaurant. And the gardens also have other wonderful pieces of glass.
It is a must-see Attraction in Seattle.

Stunning Glass Art

By Mark H |

Located at Seattle Center adjacent to the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass brings together significant works of glass artist Dale Chihuly’s spanning forty years, including Drawings, iconic glass creations, large architectural installations, and personal collections. A pioneering glass artist, scholar, and teacher, the exhibits include gardens decorated with plant sculptures, winter brilliance display, sea life creations, a Persian ceiling, the glass house with fall colors opening up to the Space Needle above, the stunning Millie Fiori glass flower room, and the dramatic Ikebana and Float Boat exhibit. The form and color of the glass is highlighted by dramatic lighting and reflective surfaces. This amazing museum pushes the envelope of art created from glass. Thanks to good friends Alex and Dawn Morris who introduced us to this collection of masterpieces.

Great!

By Philippe N |

A must-see in Seattle, to do in combination with the tower. It's a bit expensive but the museum and garden are beautiful.
It takes 1 hour for the garden and 1 hour for the tower.
In short, not to be missed

Awesome for Glass Lovers

By DM1905 |

I thought this was OK but my wife enjoyed it more. Many strange artworks made of glass here. Not as big as I was expecting. Again, another potentially crowded location in downtown. We did the combined ticket for the Needle.

Heart for Glass

By Elmar |

Outstanding glass art by Dale Chihuly. In the sculpture park you walk through beds and between trees of glass. Inside, Venetian gondolas and colourful marshes made of the same material surprise. Just great!

Absolutely breathtaking!

By Yeti1988 |

The pictures do not do this museum justice. This is something you have to see in person. I could have easily spent hours here looking at each individual piece. There are plenty of opportunities for amazing photographs. Do yourself a favor and spend time in the theater and watch a live demonstration as well.

Beautiful Works of Art

By Rose |

I had been wanting to go here for a long time; finally joined others for an outing to Seattle. Beautiful work and displays. Highly recommend.

Beautiful glass gardens

By Tracy C |

Last minute plan that quickly became one of favorite art exhibits. Absolutely breathtaking. We added it to our space needle plans and are so glad we did!

Glass is Gorgeous!!

By DannyWasserman |

We stopped by Chihuly Garden and Glass and were not disappointed. Rave reviews on this place, so we checked it out. An amazing array of blown glass that will blow you away. There is an outside garden with excellent plantings and a splash of garden art that will take your breath away.

Expensive and maybe I would skip it

By Woo.Nita |

Quite expensive for what it is. It's quite nice but I don't think it's worth the high price. If you are from Mexico you have seen that type of work in places like Los Cabos, it is blown glass work executed in a different way but the same.

Worth the visit with City Pass

By kerlyqueue |

Beautiful. We had a CityPass and this was one of the attractions we visited. I wish that the theater was first, then we could walk through the different exhibits because I feel like that would have given us a different perspective/understanding of what were were looking at. We spent less than an hour here. Happy that this was a discounted cost due to having the CityPass. We went at 10 am (at opening time), and were admitted at 9:50 am, not sure how early you could get in. I do think this would have been amazing after dark....

Must see

By John B |

Excellent museum with stunning examples of beautiful displays made of glass. The videos explaining the process should be seen. The gift shop is very good also.

Worth the money!

By kleic |

I thought I knew a lot about Dale Chihuly and have appreciated his work in Seattle, Tacoma (where he's from; there's a terrific glass museum there), and in various gardens and museums around the world. But this place really knocked my socks off. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it feels a little commercial. But there's so much to learn! The photographs by Edward Curtis, the collection of Pendleton blankets, and the "drawings" all added enormously to my understanding of his work and the different series he and his team have created. Definitely worth the money!

Wonderful gallery of Chihuly's glass work.

By Francesca G |

We thoroughly loved this museum and garden. Do not miss it. The glass work is out of the world and the gardens lovely. They have demonstrations of glass blowing technique if you want to see how they do it.

Glass Sculptures

By Jessica |

This museum and glass garden was certainly something different and unusual. We really enjoyed seeing all the different sculptures made from glass.

Super Pretty

By ElleEames |

The glass is super pretty. The air conditioning inside is nice. They also had a glass blowing demo while we were there. They had cute magnets of the glass. I wish they had cheaper tote bags of the glass designs,

A must see in Seattle

By jamieba32 |

Fantastic exhibition of his works which are stunning. Especially the indoor garden and glass house display. The display In the outdoor gardens are amazing too. This is the number one attraction for good reason

Fantastic!

By jrzj42 |

Chihuly was a treat for me as my 30+ year hobby has been stained glass. I really loved the glass sculptures, the assortment of colors and presentations. It only takes about an hour to see all the exhibits, including the gardens. I went through twice - start to finish, then in reverse, just to ensure I got a different view point angles.

amazing

By fozjon |

I totally loved this place. Of course, the glasswork is amazing. I've had a little bit of an introduction to Chihuly's work before, but this was an incredible display. The colors and the work that went into them. Maybe this is one of my favorite "museums" ever.

Spectacular

By Charlotte B R |

Chihuly gardens were beautiful and colorful Be sure to take your time when walking through the gardens or you may miss some smaller pieces

Colourful, stunning and intriguing sculptures

By HealyTribe |

What a beautiful place! The glass sculptures were truly stunning. Many of them were gravity defying, intricate and beautifully coloured. It was quite busy, so taking clear photos was a little tricky at times. We just caught the end of a glass blowing demonstration, and the bit we did see was really interesting - shame we didn't have time to stay and watch the whole thing again.
The gift shop had a wide variety of items to buy, although many were fairly expensive.

Great experience!!

By Sarah R |

The art was amazing. You got to see all different types of art which was cool. The theater portion was informative but brief which was appreciated. Jacob helped answer a lot of questions and did such a great job.

Mastery, quality, colors and lights!!

By Sircoleman |

Located a stone's throw from the space needle is really worth a visit.
Full of colors and plays of light, glass worked with the highest skill and quality, then the plays of light do the rest, the glass clearly of Italian origin.
Take some time as it is a succession of rooms full of works, from the smallest to the huge ones.
It ends with the iconic orange floral sculpture contained in the very suggestive glasshouse
I highly recommend a visit. Externally present also a beautiful garden with path and other sculpture always in colored glass.

Beautiful!

By Tracie S |

Wonderful! Our favorite attraction in Seattle. Well worth the admission. Such a unique art experience, indoor and outdoor. We came on a Wednesday afternoon and it was crowded! So plan accordingly. Next to the space needle and monorail.

Beautiful

By stray_stay2022 |

Absolutely beautiful. Every art work is shown in great lighting. Staff was very nice. There was a lot to see. They also offer a free photo take with a professional camera done by staff

Stunning art in a great environment

By jdramsey504 |

One of the highlights of our Seattle visit. The art itself is stunning and the presentation is beautiful, especially the outdoor areas with the iconic Space Needle as a backdrop. We bought a combo pass and it was a better value.

Beautiful glass sculptures and exhibition.

By James Z |

Definitely a must see and visit. Worth the cost of admission ( purchase your tickets via city pass. Beautiful glass exhibition. Located conveniently next to the Space Needle.

Pictures can’t show the exquisite beauty of this place

By Hope P |

This was a beautiful experience! We were fortunate to see a glass demo while we were there. The pictures simply can’t do justice to the beauty of the art. Definitely encourage a visit!

Maybe if you're into it?

By Mark C |

We went because it was there - right with the Space Needle and MOPOP; but it was not terribly exciting. Glass. And more of it. And then some more. Oh, what's in this room? More glass. And here's a glass-blowing demo ... OK, now more glass.
Just not so much for me or the wife or son.

Excellent museum and exhibits

By Bryan |

We love blown glass and all art at this location is amazing. You have to see it if you’re in town. All the staff were friendly and museum is easy to navigate. Chihuly is so talented.

Very slow moving tourists in some places but that’s every popular attraction now. People stopping in random places and blocking entire pathways to take pictures. It’s not the museum’s fault but beware.

Captivating

By Dianna430M |

Not to be missed if you’re in the Seattle area.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a magical and enchanting place.

It’s difficult to imagine how these tremendous, elaborate pieces were placed into this building.

The pieces shown here are captivating. They have movement, as they are still, and they will move you.

Dale Chihuly will always be the master of glass.

Very difficult to find entrance

By daikin |

The chihuly exhibit is right next to the space needle but the entrance is not well marked you have to actually enter from the chihuly bar absolutely ridiculous

Contemporary Beauty

By Grazy |

Beautiful place! The arts are amazing! I've never seen anything like that! And we had the opportunity to watch them make a piece of glass!
The store has plenty of souvenir options, but all very expensive!
The garden is also fantastic!
I highly recommend!

Must see, beautiful artwork!

By CharlieW |

This fantastic museum is a must see if you’re in Seattle. The exhibits, both indoors and outdoors are well laid out and the glassworks are beautifully displayed. The artwork is displayed out in the open and without protective casing of any kind, I wouldn’t recommend going here with young children. We’d never even heard of the artist or this museum before going to Seattle but we’re glad we stopped in to see it!

It You Enjoy Displays Like This, This Is A Good One.

By Dustin C |

It was a little expensive but we felt it was worth it. The displays are amazing and it was nice walking around. We ate in the restaurant, which is outside the display area, and the food was good and fairly reasonable.

Spectacular

By Helen L |

We absolutely loved the glass museum. It was spectacular. Colourful. Kids really enjoyed it. We learnt a bit about how they made the sculptures. Highly recommend. Not too crowded.

Spectacular glass designs

By Mary W |

What an unexpected and totally awe-inspiring place to visit! The exhibits are stunning, and the short movies were so interesting. We loved this place!

Very Cool

By Erica C |

Truly impressive pieces. This is cooler than the space needle. So many cool and huge, blown glass sculptures and pieces both indoors and outdoors in their garden. They even had a glass blowing demonstration when we went. Super cool.

Not worth the money, but beautiful art.

By Carrie M |

Though I enjoyed the art, which was amazing, for the $30+ we spent per person, I was really expecting more. One person in our party commented that the gift store was more interesting.
Suggested by another couple we ran into, go to the gift store, look at the pictures and decide if you really want to spend the money.
I would not do this again.

Chihuly Garden and Glass

By Shelly |

This is a beautiful museum. The art and the way the pieces are displayed are just masterful. We almost missed the glass room, due to an event, so I would suggest checking to see if there is an event scheduled on the day you plan to visit, so you are able to avoid that time. (Upon arrival they told us that it would close at 4:00, which was in 15 minutes. We just went straight to that area, and then backtracked, so we wouldn’t miss it.)

Absolutely stunning

By bunnySouthport |

Wow this was a spectacular Museums and gardens. Situated next to the Space Needle in Seattle it was an amazing experience not to be missed. Just see the images to see for yourself

Worth it.

By beth d |

Amazing artwork. Earlier the better so you can get some pics and not deal with people blocking everything while they try to perfect their picture with 184848 takes

Magic !

By jeremy711 |

It's just incredibly beautiful!
A little timeless break, it’s simply magical!
The sculptures are incredible, it's beautiful and there is a fantastic atmosphere in this exhibition.
The colors and shapes are superb, we were amazed by the quality of the artist's work.
It's a big favorite, don't miss this absolutely magical place.
It's perfect for a little relaxing break, the place lends itself perfectly to strolling and daydreaming, it's a moment of serenity and tranquility to experience.

Chihuly is well worth the trip

By Whulia L |

The museum and garden is inspiring. The glass installations in each room of the museum are breathtaking. Each room has a new surprise. The creativity of the work, the time that each piece took to make shows in the installations. There is an audio tour that you can download as you go from room to room. You can spend hours there looking at the works. In the courtyard they had a mobile hotshop that was showing how glass pieces are made. It's well worth the trip.

An interesting and unexpected moment of calm in a busy city

By Planeredrabbit |

A pleasant surprise to stumble upon thus calm and slightly out of the ordinary attraction - enjoyed both the indoor exhibits and the integration of glass into the gardens outside. Interesting presentations by glass experts in the courtyard and a nice location to sit with a local beverage after the tour. Impressive artworks but they are not cheap - just like the entrance fee!

Just Awesome 💯. Hats off to the creators and organisers

By Dr. M. Rama Murty |

From SFO to Seattle - one drop my student, wife and myself visited. In fact he opted this the best along with space Needle. Hats off 😁 to the creators. Stunning beauty... awesome environment...daggling art pieces... 😳 Mind blowing really.

Just Stunning

By FiftyFifty5050 |

We visited mid week in July, as Seniors (receiving a slight discount on the ticket price); this isn't an inexpensive place to visit but we felt it was well worth it.

The tour starts in rather a dark environment, leading through to the first of the exhibit rooms and it is a stunning start - the glass is intricate, luminescent and quite, quite beautiful; one could look at it for ages and still find something new to marvel at.

The scale of some of the exhibits leaves one in awe of the work involved, not just in the concept and design but the production of all the individual parts and the construction of the whole.

Visiting when we did, the place was reasonably quiet and so one had a good view of the glass, both for admiring it and for taking photos - photography IS allowed but no selfie sticks, gimbals or tripods - the rooms are kept dark, so a handheld twilight or night scene setting gives good colours.

There is one room full of wide, deep bowls placed on stands so that they are at about eye level (granted that I'm not very tall) which seemed inlit but were actually responding to the downlight from the spots in the ceiling, rendering the sides of the bowls almost translucent.

The garden is rather magical and, visiting on a sunny day, the glass sculptures catch the sunlight and yet blend in with the carefully curated plants and shrubs. There was a demonstration of glass blowing taking place outside - standing room only - you need to look at the timings to grab a front row or be really tall to get the best out of this.

I notice from the website that there is an audio tour which looks as if you can load up on your phone; this wasn't pointed out to us when we bought our tickets and a heads up would have been useful because I think we would both have used it.

The book and gift shop is well stocked, lots of arty items, garden themed items and some glassware - I did go and have a look at the very modestly sized vases but baulked at the starting price of around $7000 and rising to $13500, they were beautiful but just too pricey - it would have been lovely to have some glass items within the shop within an affordable price range. The only thing I could find was a Christmas tree bauble at $65, it was lovely but far too big and heavy to actually hang on a tree, it would require a stand. So I exited via the gift shop with just a bag of postcards, feeling I would have liked a more substantial souvenir of the visit.

The glass here really struck a chord deep within me, it was gorgeous, uplifting and awesome in it's intricacy and beauty, I am sure this is going to be a regular trip for us when we are in Seattle.

Nice visit

By Daniel C |

Beautiful. We bought the ticket for this Attraction along with the one for Space Needle and it was very worth it. The glass works are the most impressive and some even decorate the exterior.

Worth the Splurge, Beautiful Works

By Peter K |

Great to see the greatest hits of Chihuly, some of it neatly juxtaposed with the Soace Needle. I recognized many of the pieces from a retrospective at the DeYoung in SF 10 years ago, but it remains really fun and varied stuff. You will never see children happier at an art museum! They love the playful works. While this museum appears to be vey commercial ($39), they do make a special effort to provide interesting, educational instruction on Chihuly’s history, technique and there are also glass blowers on site. I would say it is worth the splurge.

Amazing art installation

By bertha p |

Fantastic exhibition, the light, color and glass Tecnology is amazing. The museografía Is fenomenal. I go to a lot of art installations and this is high on my list of recommendations, all the family will enjoy it.

Beautiful gallery

By pandripe |

Beautiful gallery. Fascinated by all the colours and shapes. Conveniently located next to
The Space Needle. You can go there and skip the Needle if need be.

Breath taking exhibition

By Troonie1 |

Was not aware of this incredible collection until I visited Seattle. Truly amazing displays, incredibly informative theatre sessions, room to walk and move to see all exhibits to advantage. Thank you for a unique experience

Fabulous!

By sandcrab |

Fabulous museum! Was so beautiful- would highly recommend if you are in Seattle. At the base of the Needle in a beautiful park

Is this all glass? - It's all glass. I think there are many exhibits

By a.nishi |

Chihuri Glass Garden is located right next to Seattle's famous Space Needle. It was the work of Mr. Chihuri, a native of Tacoma, and the glass inside the exhibition was wonderfully sculpted with dynamic glass plants, and it was also lovely when you went out into the garden, in harmony with the natural plants. He also demonstrates how to make glass.

Expensive but beautiful

By Alberta52 |

The glass art is spectacular in this museum. However, there are a number of drawbacks to the visit. Firstly, they do NOT take cash. Really!! It is a process to go to a machine & put EXACT cash into it for a type of debit card that you walk to the clerk to exchange for tickets. There were toddlers in the museum running all over & screaming. This disrupted our visit & we feared that the art would get broken as the parents seemed oblivious to the children's behavior. Why bring small children to a GLASS museum? The museum is small. $33 US dollars for a senior for basically a 45 minute look at the art. Way overpriced in my opinion. I'd waited a long time to see this museum & felt so let down by the experience after seeing it.

Amazing glass structures/art

By tinaNtravel |

Chihuly Gardens was amazing. The glass arrangements, their size, and their amazing colors, exceeded expectations. After going through the indoor museum section, be sure to walk around the outside – as there are a lot more glass sculptures outside mixed in with the garden. Also be sure to watch the mini-movies to see how the glass arrangements were made and to learn more about the artist. There are approx. 5-6 films, each approx. 5 minutes in length and they play right after each other in a loop. There was also a small demonstration of glass making outside near the small walk in theater.

Creative art

By samchari |

Its amazing place and one time visit is worth it. The email of pictures is an nice service. Its close to space needle. Okay to visit once

Must see once

By 83lovetotravel |

Beautiful exhibits on display inside and outside garden. You can take plenty of pictures and soak it all in. We went on weekday and combined with space needle visit. Do account for 2 hours if you want to see it properly and take pictures. Staff is very pleasant and eager to assist.

Fabulous Chulily Gardens

By Patricia K |

Fabulous Gardens and exhibits! Loved touring and viewing the blown glass works .
Fascinating works of glass.
My favorite were the sea pieces and coral.

Wonderful

By Redalba |

We took the Link light train from the airport to Westlake Station and then the Monorail to Seattle Central, next to Chilhuly Glass and Gardens. The Link was very clean and good value. We were less impressed with the Monorail. We arrived at Chihuly about 10.30am and bought tickets there. It was quite quiet but was busier by the time we left. The glass structures are absolutely beautiful – definitely a must see if in Seattle. The garden was smaller than we expected and the Rhododendrons had finished flowering but still a gorgeous setting. The shop is cashless, even for a dollar purchase.

A must see amazing place

By Eric D |

This place is wild. Every room more extravagant than the previous one. Chihlu is a made genius with what he does and this is by far the ebst way to take it all in. Just stunning. And took a zillion pictures.

Stunning!

By Megs867 |

Let me start this by saying I am not a museum kinda person but this place is stunning and worth the entry fee. The glass work is “next level” to quote another visitor. Pictures really don’t do it justice.

Blown glass art and amazing artscapes

By Ferg1204 |

Beautiful does not begin to describe the art and artscapes created. We listened to the audio tour and it was just right. Gave us some insight and the narrative room by room without being distracting.

Worth a Visit!

By SLPmom |

Better than I expected! The glass pieces are amazing! Thoroughly enjoy the glass blowing demonstration offered on the hour w/ the last being at 4 pm on a Wednesday in December, since they close at 5 PM on Wednesdays. We barely made it it to the museum at the time and one of the workers said we could go on ahead and make it the demo and then return to see the rest of the museum afterwards.

Super awesome

By BrianMaryAdventures |

Mary was really excited about going here. I was happy to go along, glad I did. For someone who isn’t into art at all I was blown away. The colors and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Seriously one of the coolest places I’ve ever experienced

No words, very beautiful, a must to visit.

By S0phie |

So very beautiful and impressive on what can be done with glass.

Positives:
- Beautiful collection of glass sculptures inside and outside in the garden
- Very well explained ( and funny) demonstration on glass blowing

Negatives:
- None

Tip: you can combine it with the Space Needle and take the Monorail to get here.

Stunning

By BlarghBlargh |

I've known about Chihuly since learning about his works in school, so to see his work up close and on such vast scales was amazing. The work going into it is incredible - you really need to see it to appreciate the beauty of it. There are some works indoors and lighting is used to enhance it, but also lots outside too. I especially found the films about him and his work very interesting. A must do if in Seattle.

They will charge you full price for half the experience

By Trail32167163790 |

The museum advertises a live glass blowing demonstration, but this showcase is unavailable after 4 PM. Nowhere does it say this before or after you buy your tickets, and yet they charge you the same price. Absolutely overpriced for what you get.

Chihuly Museum

By Kathy S |

Loved visiting this beautiful class museum. Loved all the color that Chihuly uses just stunning. Even on a overcast day the color popped.

Unforgettable

By lauren1806 |

Breathtakingly beautiful exhibits, displayed skilfully with excellent lighting and space. I’m amazed that I’d never heard of this place or Dale Chihuly before.

The Persian Ceiling alone would be worth 2x the entrance fee. The demonstrations and gardens as well as the other interior spaces make this an astoundingly good value 90 minutes/2 hours.

One of the most rewarding ‘tourist’ attractions I’ve ever visited, it will live in my memory forever.

Quick stop in Seattle at the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden

By Thomas K |

Flew into Sea-Tac for work in Everett. So, I popped into Seattle on the drive north. Spent a few hours at the Space Needle and the Dale Chihuly Garden. They're right next to each other, and you buy one ticket for both. I enjoyed both a lot. You cannot beat the views from the Needle. Downtown, Puget Sound, you see it all. Nice bar & grille to enjoy the 1-hour complete rotation. Chihuly Garden was top notch. Each room was another beautiful collection. Nice demonstration of glass blowing that takes about 20 minutes. It's a relatively small museum, but I'd recommend it to anyone. The Museum of Pop Culture is right there, too. If I had the time, I'd have done that also.

Blown away (no pun intended)

By Klassyhk |

The exhibits are indoors and outdoors. The creations are mind-blowing! Chihuly us a genius whom I’d never heard if before my recent visit to Seattle.

The museum is on the grounds of the Space Needle, a 2-3 minutes walk away.

Beauty in Seattle that isn't the waterfront views

By Christine S |

This place is beautiful and peaceful and wonderful. The displays are amazing, and you are left wondering how someone could create these massive pieces of glass art. We were left gasping a few times on entering a room at the sheer size and colors of these amazing art installations. While there, do also check out their bar/restaurant, the garlic aeoli fries and monkey break were both excellent, as were the mocktails.

First time in Seattle

By skurtz45 |

This place is amazing. It’s a must do in Seattle. If you’ve ever been to the Bellagio in Vegas you have seen this artwork in the lobby. Loved it!!!!

Beautiful, unique and inspiring!

By Laura B |

A completely unique and wonderful experience. The glassworks are like nothing else. Very beautifully displayed with good information to accompany the works. Do not miss this artful and inspiring glass garden.!

Jaw-droppingly Awesome!

By Katontherun |

Amazing art! Such beauty indoors & out. Could have stayed there all day. If you have limited time and only go to one museum, you won’t be disappointed if you choose this one.

You won’t regret coming here!

By GIOBABIE1 |

This is the best thing we did in Seattle! Beautiful and really worth the price. We bought a combo ticket with the Space Needle for a cost break. We stayed here for a few hours. Between sitting enjoying the sights, watching glass blowing demos and the movie series. It’s walking distance from Space Needle.

Positive surprise next to the Space Needle

By Schalkeholiker |

Chihuly surprised me in a positive way. As part of the combined ticket with the Space Needle, we thought we could just take the exhibition with us, but it was really beautiful and we really enjoyed it. I can definitely recommend it and you should do it if you are in the area.

Not worth it. Shouldn’t be #1 in Seattle.

By dan |

Not worth the entry price. Save your money and look at the pics online! Don’t get me wrong this is a coool experience to do, however, the admission tickets should be less than $10, as there are literally less than 10 exhibits. It takes 30 mins to walk through and there are really only three or four rooms that will shock you. Save your money and go on some hikes!

Mesmerizing Colored Glass Art

By rickh57 |

My wife and I came here for our anniversary weekend; we'd seen this museum from the outside during a visit to the Space Needle several years ago.

The varieties of glowing colored glass were amazing.

We stayed for several hours, enjoying both the inside and outside exhibits.

I've seen reviews that said this museum was worth a trip to Seattle just for it -- and I agree 100%.

It'll leave your jaw dropping!

By Jim A |

This is an exceptional museum by one of the greatest glass artists to ever live. The museum has a nice flow to it, with themes of the artist (e.g., Native American, underwater, floral, etc.). The work is simple awe inspiring, both in its size, scope and artistry, but also in the indescribable beauty. I recommend not missing this museum when in the Seattle area.

Mind blowing experience

By agnes P |

We were quite blown away by the extent of D Chihully's talent, passion, and creativity. Tried doing the audio tour but got too distracted by the beauty around us. The glass-blowing demo was really good, very informative. Guides were very knowledgeable, answered all our questions.

Beautiful both during the day and at night

By Heather M |

This garden was amazing in both daytime and night. Our first visit was at night as part of the Refract Gala. It was amazing to see how everything just glowed. It was a magical experience. We then went a couple of days later during the day. That is when you truly get to appreciate the mix of plant life and glass. It is beautifully done with total harmony. We spent ages just wandering around taking in the beauty. They also have live glass blowing demonstrations which added a new dimension to the whole experience. Be sure to stop by the theater to see several short movies that gives you an interesting insight into Dale Chihuly.

Beautiful but expensive

By Daryl H |

It was indeed very beautiful, but I thought over priced - $40. I was told a typical visit is 40 minutes. I was thru in half that time. $70 total with the Space Needle came to almost as much as a day at Disney World. Not criticizing the art at all; it was very beautiful. Just not worth the entry cost - for me anyway.

Full of beauty and inspirations

By Journeystan |

We have never seen so many beautiful glass sculptural work until we visited Chihuly Garden. We appreciated all the art work as we walked through each gallery and toured the garden that was created with his artwork beautifully blended together. We like the Sealife Room that was inspired with sea creatures , the gorgeous colours and art forms of the Persian Ceiling, the flowers and shapes in Mille Fiori, the mystery of the lights in Macchia Forest. This is a great place to visit in Seattle.

Unexpected Gem

By Nanaimo-Bar95 |

Unexpected gem. We visited the Space Needle & added this at the last minute. Breathtaking beautiful glass creations. Well worth the money. If we were locals, I can see visiting several times a year.

Well worth visiting - and take your time to be amazed.

By MandSExeter |

We're always amazed at Dale Chihuli's creativity and weren't disappointed by this exhibition. The displays inside were breathtaking, the glassblowing demonstration fascinating and the gardens stunning. An added bonus were the fall colours in the trees, reminding us that nature can also oroduce some amazing things of beauty.

Great Artist and beautiful work.

Well worth the experience. We had a ticket that included the needle observatory next door. Don't miss any of his exhibitions inside and the gardens, including a short film on Chihuly and his work. We arrived about an hour before sunset and by the time we made it to the gardens they were all lit up. Just beautiful.

Slow down and enjoy the experience

By luv4phood |

Simply stunning! We have been fans since first seeing an installation at the Atlanta Botanical Garden nearly 20 years ago. The colors, shapes and overall presentation of the glass pieces are truly impressive. We were tod upon purchasing our $37 tickets that it would take us about 45 minutes to see all the exhibits. Take your time. This is a lovely place to visit and requires visitors to slow down and enjoy the visual experience.

A MUST visit for Seattle

By julianatay |

If you are only thinking of going to the Chihuly Garden, just go! It is not a big place but it is an amazing place. The whole space is so well-designed that every photo you take in the place will look GREAT (selfies and wefies included). The glass sculptures so beautiful and the free guided tours are informative and entertaining. There is even a glassblowing demonstration! Overall I will highly recommend a visit. :)

ALIEN LANDSCAPE AND ART GALLERY IN ONE!

By ThePackedBag |

I first/last visited here ten years ago and I can't tell if it's changed but, as it was fabulous then, so it is now. I used my Seattle CityPASS to enter and joined the throngs late on a Friday afternoon wandering through the eight galleries, glasshouse and outside int the gardens, marvelling at how all of that glass came to be and then suspended above and gathered around us.
He's a unique talent and I've seen his work in countless hotels and museums all over the country.
Coming here, to his passion project in his home state, is well worth it. I combined the visit with the Space Needle which looms overhead.
A definite Seattle Must Do!

Incredible. Don’t miss.

By Yetanotherroadtrip |

The glasswork is just incredible. I was hesitant to go because I have been to Corning a few times. This is an experience of its own. I would put this down as a must do considering it’s directly adjacent to the Space Needle.

Like another planet where everything is made of glass.

By Canucksontheloose |

The second time I've been in 5 years and it still knocks my socks off! Nothing has changed in this place but the displays of glass works are mindbogglingly creative and colourful as they are thoughtfully presented in the gardens outdoors and inside. Glass is twisted and turned into delicate complex structures of beauty. Try to catch a free short tour if you can. It's pretty pricey admission but Chihuly's glass works are pretty special. Not meant for individuals who like to run around and touch things. Buy a CityPASS or combo ticket with the Space Needle to reduce admission costs.

Amazing.

By Vida E |

Amazing place. I took my 7 year old daughter who loves art. She loved it so much when we got to the end and watched a bit of the documentary she wanted to go back to the beginning and start over and see everything again. The glass art is fantastic and the garden is lovely. You can buy combo tickets at the Space Needle for both attractions for a discount off the price of buying each. I'll definitely visit again next time we are in Seattle.

Unique and unreal garden

By mtcantuh |

The garden is unreal and unique! You cannot miss seeing this creation. His artworks can be seen in other museums as well but this one is very impressive. The conservatory he designed for his final display is majestic.

Expensive but amazing

By Sheldon King |

This place blew me away. What this man could do with glass was truly remarkable. It was very expensive for our family of 4 and I was wondering if it was worth it? It is!

Strolling with family

By Avik C |

Very interesting art with glass blowed plants.
Beautifully made architecture with different colors and different flower shapes.

Indoor and outdoor plant like structures made with glass and inside rooms are well lit.

Excellent experience

By foodielew |

Excellent attraction to visit.
Cost us $75 for 2 people. Some people might think overpriced but at the end of the day people are paying it so you just have to pay it if you want to go see it.
We didn’t really know what to expect but it was honestly an amazing experience.
We watched a live demo of glass blowing and this was so interesting to understand the process.
The different pieces on display were varied and really interesting to consider how he made them.
Worth the money in my opinion, would recommend to anyone who enjoys culture.

Strikingly beautiful

By IPEK D |

If you're in Seattle, don't miss Chihuly Garden and Glass next to the Space Needle. Dale Chihuly's glass art is incredible and inspiring. I am truly impressed with every intricate glass sculpture, installations and bright colours. The lighting makes every installation strikingly beautiful.
Glass sculptures are excellently blended with plants in the garden. Every turn offers a new, beautiful view. You can also enjoy a beautiful view of Space Needle and take some amazing photos. Don’t miss the glass blowing show in the garden while enjoying tasty pizza and cold drinks. You can also have some food and drinks at the Chihuly Bar. Overall, Chihuly Garden and Glass is a must-see. It's beautiful.

Allerton and McBryde Garden tour

By Laura J |

We thoroughly enjoyed to bus and walking tour of the Allerton and McBryde Gardens. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. There were umbrellas for use for the showers. The views were wonderful both from the road and in the gardens. One does need to reserve as there will be no guarantee of room on the tour otherwise. There seemed to be sufficient parking for all those driving to the gardens.

One of a kind

By WillieMacfan |

Chihuly Garden and Glass is unique and almost unbelievable. Not sure how anyone can give other than the max best review rating unless they have an issue with cost. Cost for two seniors was $ 70.

Walking through the interior you will be amazed by the displays of the the various glass objects. Colorful with unusual shapes and designs. Every room offers a different perspective on Chihuly's works. Definitely take the time to watch all the short videos about his projects to understand the effort and thought process that goes into the concepts , designs and actual labor to produce the objects and his shows.

Eventually, you arrive in the garden with a beautiful landscape that incorporates more, yet different, pieces of his glass art. Quite the setting. There are glass artists who demonstrate the art of glass making and assembling of glass pieces.

Consider this a must see when you are in Seattle.

Small but mighty museum

By Ann T |

The glass is absolutely amazing. It was very cold so we didn't' get to enjoy the outdoor garden as much as we might have on a warmer day. It's a small but very interesting and stunning museum.

Amazing Glass

By Roland K |

A world of beauty and amazing art. Amazed at what can be done with glass. Chihuly's work is indeed breathtaking.

Top Glass!

By Vinod44 |

Chihuly was a Diamond in the rough during our family vacation at Seattle. Our trip to Seattle was focused on the natural beauty around Seattle, and Chihuly was a minor stop on our “city tour” day. It ended up being the star of the day, and I would rate it higher than even the iconic Space Needle. The glass art is another level, and the novelty of it all made for a great experience. Chihuly is all about glass: in different colors, shapes and arrangements. The artist has truly dedicated his life to creating an otherworldly experience out of something as basic as glass.

Wowwwww

By VacationEscapeArtist |

I’m not really an art person, but figured might as well do this in combination with the space needle and I was so happy I did. The glass colors and arrangements and the lighting in the rooms was stunning. The glass incorporated in the outdoor gardens was beautiful too and although it took us less than a hour, I enjoyed the video presentation about the artist and would recommend if you’re in the area.

Chihuli Winter Brilliance Let Down

By James T |

We were specifically to see the Winter Brilliance display which was hyped to be a lot more than it is. It is one window with glass snow flakes that were impressive but not as expansive as intimated from the description.

Outdoor Gardens are stunning

By Cindy T |

I am a hige Chihuly fan. We are blessed to have a smaller version of the museum in St Petersburg FL. This museum has a stunning collection of his work, and the atrium and outdoor garden are breathtaking! Great pictures too because it sits below the Space Needle tower.

Beautiful, relaxing stop.

By amy m |

This was absolutely beautiful. The detail and skill in every piece is just unbelievable. There really aren't any 'barricades" between you and the art pieces. You can get some great pictures. At one point staff/security did have to approach a family and tell them to restrain their young children but you know there is always going to be that. I'd say its not an ideal stop for littles but they do have a great gift shop.

Totally worth it!

By Flavia C |

Amazing art exhibition. Great place to learn more about the artist and glass "sculpture" . I was not expecting the way glass can mix with nature, the gardens were just incredible. People recommended going at night, because apparently it is even better.

Beautiful spot

By Bree_5 |

Beautiful artwork and friendly staff. It works as an option for rain or shine as the majority of the items are inside. There’s a good restaurant on-site and lots of close parking options.

This artist is amazing and his work even more so.

By Marvin G |

Chihuly Garden Glass is the most unbelievable display of this artist’s work in both a museum and natural setting where his labors merge his imagination into a garden of flora and fauna. One cannot tell without close observation where the natural ends and the artisan’s work begin. The Glasshouse features a space filled with vibrant floral displays along its ceiling that are backlit by natural light. Whereas the Galleries offer up similar items with artificial lighting. There are also seasonal displays, dependent upon the time of year.

An interesting facet of this museum is a working glass-blowing studio where glassblowing demonstrations are featured with a question and answer session after the demonstrations have been completed. There is also a gift shop where one can purchase anything from a T-shirt with one of Dale Chihuly’s designs to an actual art piece that he created. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and heartily recommend this museum to you. Even if you are not a “museum person,” the Chihuly Garden & Glass is so unique that it will literally “blow you away”

In a Word: Beautiful

By ITRT |

Native Washington State-born, Dale Chihuly provides an extraordinary display of his works, inspired by living in the Pacific Northwest, garden flowers, and from his world travels. The first area the museum is the Sealife Form. His “Sealife Tower” dominates the room filled with color and glass sea creatures found in the Puget Sound. The next room is called Persian Ceiling. Beautiful is the best word to describe the different shapes and colors of flowers found on the ceiling. The room filled with tall glass flowers is known as the Macchia Forest. Finally, the outdoor garden has different colored areas of glass sculpted flours and ornaments. Colors include oranges, blues, greens, pinks, black and yellow to name a few. Live plants and shrubs are interspersed between the glass sculptures which add to the beauty of the place.

Beautiful Glass Work

By algxcskier |

Beautiful and worth the price. I’ve seen his work in Chicago however this was amazing. Especially the garden with nature and glass.

A must see if you like glass being used artistically

By flowerlady64 |

We love Chihuly's work so had to visit. Went in November, midweek so it wasn't crowded and it was really beautiful. Loved the 'winter' exhibit the best but it was hard to pick a favourite. The garden is smaller than expected so didn't go again at night. Enjoyed watching the glass blowing exhibition and staff are helpful and pleasant. The gift shop is expensive we thought so didn't buy anything. A nice area of Seattle to visit next to the Space Needle.

A Magical Feast of Mesmerizing Vibrant Colors

By TheExplorerFamily |

Dale Chihuly’s work is always stunning. We saw a large exhibition in the New York Botanical Gardens a few years back. This one is much smaller, but just as gorgeous. Some of the displays were the same, but we loved how he has incorporated them into the colorful flower gardens with the Space Needle towering over it or reflected in the large glass balls in there.

Everything was lovely. It was hard to stop taking tons of photos from as many angles as was possible. The forms, shapes, colors, the combinations and the assembly were all AMAZING…!

From the second we walked in until the moment we walked out; we were surrounded by glass sculptures in very vibrant colors that were all unique and mesmerizing. Loved the views of the Space Needle every now and then.

Highly recommend this exhibition to everyone, and especially to those who love art and photography.

Glass Works Museum and Garden

By Anna Cavallo |

This museum has a lot of glass works. I like some of the glass. Some glass works are outside in the garden.
It has a short video at the end too.

Get a City Pass to see the glass!

By Jennifer P |

I wouldn't have chosen to come to this if it wasn't for the 10 hour wait for my flight out of seatac from our cruise, we wanted to fill the day with Seattle must dos so we got a one day Seattle City Pass. I read reviews about this place and not a bad one was found. It didn't disappoint, my husband doesn't even like museums at all or art and this one was like a great selfie museum, so many amazing pictures from this place, so much beautiful glass work, the outside was so different yet equally awesome. The kids love snapping away at all the beautiful art. They even have a space garden beer in the outside bar that is exclusive to them which I loved. We sat outside and watched the glass demo, it's a great place to relax.

Beautiful art, and glass work

By Diane O |

Great activity to do on a rainy day instead of the space needle. It was a rainy day, but it still look good because most of the exhibitors inside

City Pass is a Great Value

By GoodDealBob |

We were in Seattle for the three days and caught a number of city attractions playing the tourist, and it was more than enjoyable… Had drinks up on the space needle, very nice tour of the Chihuly glass gardens… Seattle aquarium was fun, and we did a harbor tour.

Still have plenty of attractions to attend to on our next visit

No shorter to find restaurants happy to take your money and give you excellent food

Visit to an alien planet

By Debra V |

A must-see museum of art glass that will make you think you’re visiting an alien planet. The colors and shapes of the glass creations will make you wonder how they created it and the glass blowing demonstration will show you how. Located next to the Space Needle so it’s easy to access via monorail and enter with a combined pass. It’s a visual delight.

Gorgeous artwork of glass

By Betty I |

Thus Museum was the sight I most wanted to see on my visit to Seattle. I enjoy works of glass and had seen some of Dale Chihuly's work in Las Vegas. The museum was completely filled with pieces he had done, very colorful, and the garden was also filled with his work. Admission slightly high at about $30, but the pieces are beautiful. Located near the Space Needle.

Good luck trying to get in!

By lynnk2961 |

To be clear, our family is trying to visit the Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibit, but have yet to actually get there. We are traveling from CA to Seattle and have tried multiple times unsuccessfully to buy tickets on their website. Computer, tablet and phone all result with a message that states: "Error while storing your order and authenticating your card." No human is available to answer the phone and voicemail messages are not returned. My email was responded to quickly with a canned script of steps to follow, none of which resolved the problem. They say the only other option is to purchase tickets on-site. With peak summer travel, it is doubtful tickets will be available at our desired day/time. Very poor customer experience!

AMAZING

By pam l |

hesitant bc of the price, but BLOWN AWAY once inside. the displays, the demonstration, the short videos (some of which you can find on YouTube), the interaction with the friendly and helpful staff made this completely and totally worthwhile for us. it wasn't very crowded at 1000 and we stayed for just about 2 hrs. would love to have been able to come back after dark.

Impressive

By Lisa W |

I was of course expecting to see beautiful glass sculptures but I was pleasantly surprised at the sheer size of the pieces and all the vibrant colors and themes. Great way to spend a couple of hours while visiting Seattle.

Amazing glass sculptures

By June C |

Beautiful artwork. It's just amazing what one man can do with glass.
The gardens were very creative and colorful. We enjoyed our time there. I just wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Surprisingly beautiful

By Sabine B |

Before we went to The Needle we visited Chihully Glass Gardens. Even though our teens aren’t usually that keen on this kind of thing they found it impressive and beautiful to see. Very colorful and beautifully made.

A very unique exhibition

By Katalin H |

An unmissable attraction right next to the Space Needle. It is worth buying the combined ticket. It has two parts, one internal and one external. Inside, we can see the glass wonders in perfect lighting, simply breathtaking shapes and colors. Outside, in natural light, we can look at the glass spheres and other shapes separated by color with the corresponding vegetation in the background. Unmissable!

Worth a visit

By pghcheeseman |

The Chihuly glass display is worth checking out. It is extremely impressive and well done. I’m not that much into art but enjoyed this.

Absolutely beautiful

By MdTravelerX2 |

The Chihuly Garden and Glass are incredibly beautiful. True, unique works of art. We easily spent two hours there and could have stayed longer. If you go, be sure to view the movies and watch a glass blowing demonstration, if it is available.

Don't miss this!

By vickiebypass |

Ever since seeing some of the PBS documentaries about him, and a few small pieces in museums, I’ve been fascinated by his designs and the man himself. It was almost $40 (senior rate) but was worth it for the opportunity to see these masterpieces in person. The vision to come up with the ideas for the objects amazes me, let alone the ability to create them. There were so many items to look at and the more you look, the more you see. I asked one of the staff about how often the objects are cleaned, and she surprised me by saying they’re cleaned every day by a special team of three techs. Another staff explained how he progressed from Native American weavings and baskets to what we’ve seen in the past 35 years. They showed about six short videos about making the glass, putting it together into chandeliers, his installations in Venice, Jerusalem, and Kew Gardens. One focused on him and how much he loves botanical gardens and conservatories, and that they are a prime inspiration for him, and he loves to wander around and picture what he could create to add to them. Some of the garden pieces have that Seussian look. Definitely worth a visit - probably not for kids since they might be bored or knock into a piece.

Don't miss it

By Jacko'sWife |

Do not miss the opportunity to visit. This is both inside & outside. Make sure to visit the theatre and watch the videos they are very informative. Try and watch the demo is you yet a chance too. One important thing, do not touch

Must see in Seattle!

By Michelle A |

My favorite museum in Seattle. Chihuly’s glass artwork are just so beautiful and amazing that you have to see it in person!

Make sure you get the combined pass with the space needle to save money. This is definitely not something to pass on!!

They have even glass blowing demonstrations and a restaurant inside

My favorite pieces are:
The ikebana boat
The piece from Venice
And the garden

AMAZING! MUST SEE!!! WOW!!

By SP3 |

Visiting the Chihuly Garden and Glass Musem was the highlight of my brief stay in Seattle. We arrived to Seatle a day early as we were cruising to Alaska the next day.
Our time was limited.
All I can say is you will not be disappointed. I am still smiling 2 months later looking at my fantastic pictures.

Wow did not expect this. Highly recommend

By Clare P |

What an amazing place. Didn’t really know what to expect but it was nothing like I expected. It was jaw dropping and fantastic. Can’t believe all that glass and wasn’t just inside outside was fabulous. A must visit if in settle. We visited on a Seattle pass but if not get a combined ticket with the space needle

Stunning art glass experience.

By Barry G |

Number one thing to experience in Seattle. We took 60 members of a family reunion to see this and everyone said it was a highlight of the trip. The stunning beauty of the display of Chihuly glass cannot be described but mush be experienced.

Interesting and Fun Exhibits!

By LoveToTravel |

We went to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. The glass was beautiful. It is very impressive and worth adding on to the space needle. We also ate at the restaurant at Chihuly. Overall a good way to spend an afternoon!

Great exhibit for all to appreciate!

By Carol S |

Amazing collection of Chichuly’s art. Well worth the cost. I highly recommend this stop for art lovers. Seeing his drawings and watching a couple of the videos in the theatre really helps to see his artistic process.

Amazing art show! Don't miss it!!

By Arie F |

After being at the place I could really understand why is it rated number one attraction! It really is amazing!! We enjoyed it very much and agree it is a MUST !!

Loved Every Minute!

By The Scenic Suitcase |

Loved every minute of this! I’d heard about the gardens for years and finally had the opportunity to see it for myself and wasn’t disappointed. The glass art is absolutely stunning and the gardens in the shadow of the Space Needle were really beautiful. Don’t skip past the video section (which I know can sometimes be a snooze at other places). Seeing how the glass is blown and learning the techniques behind it is really fascinating. Great gift shop too!

Beautiful Museum Next to the Space Needle.

By Our Next Adventure. |

Chihuly Garden and Glass is honestly mind-blowing. It’s right under the Space Needle and feels like walking through a neon, alien forest made of glass. The colors are so vibrant they almost don’t look real! The Glasshouse is the absolute highlight a massive, sunlit room with a giant orange and yellow sculpture hanging from the ceiling. It’s trippy, beautiful, and easily one of the coolest, most unique spots in Seattle.

Best in Seattle

By Marianik l |

A glass garden. The must of the stay.what a job! The whole lo of pisd screams of wonder
I recommend the verse pass with the Space Needle

Beautiful pit stop

By rachel |

Reserved an 11:15 Saturday ticket via CityPASS.

Could have spent longer looking at all of the incredible pieces, but my companion and I were just browsing. Still a wonderful exhibit – gorgeous work, with a very interesting documentary on Chihuly available to view before you hit the gift shop. If I had been traveling with more than just a carry on, I would have purchased one of their coffee table books.

6⭐️ - it’s outstanding!!!

By StephenCross |

Chihuly glass s amazing. This exhibition is simply stunning. Every time you turn a corner you are met with vibrant amazing design’s of colourful glass. Great live glass blowing demonstrations. Indoor and outdoor exhibitions mixed with real plantings. See the photos but you MUST go as well worth it.

The staff were very gracious.

Amazing

Chihuly Garden and Glass exceeded our expectations of this museum. The artwork is simply amazing and the display of each piece was very well done.
Expect to spend a couple of hours looking at all the pieces and watching the short films about the artwork.

AMAZING GLASS MUSEUM by one of the masters

By Richard A |

Truely amazing indoor and outdoor glass art museum. The installations are well throughout. Every foot gives you a different perspective what you are looking at.

amazing museum, totally blown away

By LisaPunk01 |

I went here while in Seattle. I thought it was kind of pricey when I was paying but man was it amazing inside. like most people ive seen photos of the work before but had no idea how much there was or anything about it. the sheer scale of some of the pieces is insane. there is quite a lot on display as you learn that Chihuly rather than making them all himself, actually leads a team of glass artisans. there were also examples of sketches of the concepts. the whole place was amazing and also all the pieces were very clean including the ones outside. i wondered who's job it was to make sure the outside pieces weren't covered in bird poo. this is definitely a must see while in Seattle. It's right near the Space Needle. (and way cooler). we were completely blown away by this place.

Glass garden at night

Great experience with friends in that amazing place. Wonderful arts and very organized environment.i highly recommend visiting it.

No words

By Tour00043440551 |

Few places are unbelievable, but this is one of them! Dale Chihuly is unequaled in his craftsmanship and imagination. Beautifully arranged with pieces that present more and more visions the longer you look. So glad we had this experience!

Beautiful Garden

By JAX0556 |

Beautiful garden & art. Good location next to the Space Needle. Even with a glass blowing demonstration less than an hour stop with teens.

A must see for everyone

By Ohio traveler |

A unique and beautiful collection of glass pieces created by Dale Chihuly and his team. We had seen some samples of his works in the past, so didn't anticipate the magnitude of beauty that we would encounter when seeing so many pieces in one place. We were especially in awe of the pieces placed outdoors in nature. We also were intrigued by the biographical films that were shown in the theater which provided much insight to the background of Mr. Chihuly and his creations. A must see when in Seattle. We were so glad that we didn't bypass this one!

Stunning! Vibrant!

By Quest765272 |

Stunning!! The beauty of his glass artwork is remarkable!! I loved the vibrant colors & the video telling about it! They also had a live demo on site during our visit!

By TeamTasker |

Don't miss this exhibit. It is stunning ! The artworks are incredible & audio tour & theatre sessions very informative.
There are also in person talks but unfortunately I didn't have time to stay for these.

Wow! What a great experience.

By milliegordon2 |

The glass sculptures are truly magnificent. I truly loved each one with the themes along the way. There was also a short glassblowing demonstration that was fun. Wear your mask. We came home with Covid.

Spectacular tour

Very interesting art work. This is a one of a kind exhibit. It's a must see, very enlightening and awesome. Nothing about this art is boring.

Amazing work

By Terese B |

This was one of the sites I had on my list of “must see”. I dragged my family with me to the museum too. At first I was disappointed and thought this is what I saw in the installation when it came to my city, BUT I was wrong it was BETTER! The indoor and outdoor installations are quite spectacular. I would highly recommend it to anyone and my family actually enjoyed it as well they were pleasantly surprised. I was awed by the art work!

The best thing to do in Seattle!

By Elizabeth C |

Don't miss this fantastic experience! It is stunning. Such beautiful art. I saw an exhibit in North Carolina years ago, but my husband did not. He was so impressed! We were lucky to see the glass blowing demonstration and enjoyed a cocktail at the bar.

Stunning artwork

By Aaron Ross |

Chihuly does amazing things with glass, and it is all on display here, both in jndoor galleries and an outside garden. The theater continuously plays six short videos about different exhibits he has done, which explains more about his technique and thought process. Recommend buying a combo ticket with the Space Needle, which is a few feet away.

Exceptional

By Dieter |

Once a completely different museum: Glass artworks and installations, beautiful and interesting. Our absolute highlight in Seattle.

Beautiful but overpriced

By LadyN516 |

For the price, i was expecting a bit more. Don't get me wrong, it was BEAUTIFUL and the series of short movies about the artist and his process were very informative but for $40, i shouldn't be done in less than 45 minutes! A combo-ticket or the citypass is probably a better value.

Vast collection of glassworks

By PA reader |

Although it was a little pricey for the time it took to go through the museum the vast number of pieces was worth the visit.

A Must-See for Chihuly Fans

By backpacker31 |

Visited with my mom who is a big fan of Chihuly. This museum did not disappoint! We spent two hours admiring the incredible indoor and outdoor exhibits. Everything is arranged thoughtfully and beautifully presented. The docents were informative and engaging. The glass blowing demonstration was fantastic. Well worth the price of admission. We even enjoyed a lovely lunch at the attached cafe.

Amazing Art

By Linda A |

We were reluctant to pay the entrance fee but are glad we changed our minds. The fantastic use of glass took our breath away as we moved through the galleries taking lots of photos. Then we watched a video about Chihuly exhibits around the world finishing off by watching glass blowers on site produce beautiful pieces.

Must-See! Glass Art Museum

By kris10suf |

This is my favorite place in Seattle. Chihuly's work is stunning and it never gets old looking at it. The colors, pieces, sheer size of some of his creations is just breath-taking. I was pleasantly surprised how much my son (9) enjoyed it as well. Make sure to spend some time watching the different videos on how Chihuly got started and the different places he has created exhibits. I bought tickets as part of a CityPass/GoCity pass but you can get a combo ticket with the Space Needle as well. These are right next to each other so it's a great combination.

Just Geaux

By Laura W |

Stunning! It was so gorgeous and awe inspiring. Worth it to come to Seattle just for this. I cannot believe it’s all glass considering how they make it. I watched all the videos in the theater. I loved the audio tour. Gift shop is on par with prices of others. Definitely go to Chihuly!

Great experience!

By Amy B |

I have loved seeing the Chihuly glass at the Bellagio in Vegas for years. So when we toured the museum, I expected to like it. But I absolutely loved it! So unique and creative and bright and colorful. It really does make your imagination run wild! We also watched a glassmaking demonstration show which was very much worth it. And then we went into The Bar, the restaurant/bar that is part of the museum. The food was great, and the prices were not bad either! Plus you get to see some of Chihuly’s personal collections of various items. Very, very interesting. And the wall art behind the bar is beautiful as well.

Gorgeous Glass and Gardens!

By Tracy Oliver |

My mom and I went to Chihuly Glass and Garden in late May 2025. It was incredible!!! I have never seen such beautiful glass work! What an amazing talent he has! The gardens were also very beautiful, with many different flowers and plants with the glasswork incorporated into it. I would highly recommend going!

Nice city

By Helma B |

Super nice city , only a lot of uneven pavements that gave me a broken thumb in 2013 and now an appalled elbow.but that should not spoil the fun

Beautiful Glass Work

By kelleyyoung033 |

The glass work in the museum is unbelievable! You need to see it to believe it. We also watched a demonstration on how they make different pieces. It only takes about an hour to walk through but don’t miss the outside gardens. They have unusual glass work as well.

Make time to go to this museum. I was very impressed with what is all included and being to see sculptures inside & out.

By Paula |

A must see when in Seattle. Very large sculptures inside and outside in garden. Beautiful works of art. Saw glass blower

A must see while in Seattle a truly beautiful art experience. Beautiful vibrant glass displays displayed in a wonderful setting.

Beautiful glass art.

By dmflores23 |

This a beautiful place to visit and must see. I would go early before the crowds arrive because the rooms are small with very little space to move through. The outdoor space isn't as crowded and just as beautiful.

Must visit this one

By Jessica A |

Amazing! Must see! Stunning beauty! I am just baffled at how they get the colors and textures and shapes from glass. To see how it starts to how it finishes is just incredible.

Unexpected Find!

By Kari R |

In one word, if given the chance - GO!

A friend suggested this museum and we didn’t know much about it, but absolutely loved it. The glass displays were unbelievable - so gorgeous! The colors were so vivid!

We loved the exhibits and the garden. It is hard to say which was our favorite as we easily could have spent twice the time here. This is a place I would say the educational video in the exhibits is worth sitting through - fascinating to see the process of how they make such large pieces.

(I am not sure I would bring young kids…our teens really loved it but it may be too fragile / breakable for really young ones…)

beautiful glass art displayed well would recommend for family or couples to see the glass art is amazing and the work and time to create is interesting

Stunning Glass and Gardens!

By A S |

Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and Gardens were such a delight! Anyone who is fortunate enough to experience Dale Chihuly’s work will tell you it is a dream in glass form. Absolutely exquisite pieces and wonderful display of his story and process. Added bonus, we were able to catch the first hot glass demonstration of the day. Don’t skip this on your next trip to Seattle!

Beautiful!

By Tony V |

Breathtakingly beautiful and full of surprises with excellent educational materials about the work. Well worth the price of admission.

Gorgeous

By Lisa T |

I was more astounded than I thought possible! I have been wanting to experience his work for a long time and finally got the chance. An experience I will treasure forever. I highly reccomend a trip to the museum!

Vibrant, Playful, Positively Otherworldly Artwork

By Matty Easton |

There’s a reason Chihuly is hailed as a pioneer of glassblowing, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with so much of his work is a chance everyone should take.

The gallery is vibrant and centers around deep, bright colors and prisms of light. Much of the art is inspired by deep-sea life, though there is also a sense of otherworldly, futuristic themes as well as whimsical Seuss-like fantasy.

This museum is both a place to escape to and be inspired by.

You can purchase a ticket either inside the museum or at a self-serve kiosk outside. There are about 8 indoor exhibits as well as a garden to explore. It’s not particularly long, but honestly it was the perfect length for me. There’s a regular glassblowing demonstration in the garden that we watched (it was about 15 minutes long, but honestly I would skip it and watch an episode of Blown Away on Netflix instead).

Overall, if you’ve got the time, I’d highly recommend visiting this museum of a world-class artist and mind-bending artcraft.

Creatively Beautiful

By Matt |

If you are looking for something to do that's unique and different, then this is a the spot for you. My wife and I really enjoyed walking around all the different room, as each one is unique. The gardens are perfectly maintained and filled with different coloured glass sculptures that fit perfectly with the different kinds of flora and fauna it's sitting in. All in all a really good experience and worth the ticket prices.

More than fancy glass

By Patric D |

I really did not expect much from this ... glass is not really my thing
But it was amazing. The gardens are lovely in their own right, and the museum has so many knock-out sculptures. Very different and very engaging.
There's a decent cafe attached as well so you can refesh

Beautiful exhibit! Went by too fast.

By Rowan W |

This museum was the top of my must-see list and I am generally very glad I was able to go! It's truly worth seeing and I deeply enjoyed the different pieces on display. I liked that there was both an indoor and outdoor garden aspect to the museum.

That said, for the very high ticket price, I was surprised at how little time it took us to see all of it. This is not a very extensive museum, and even if you really take your time like I did, it still only took about an hour to see everything. Really wish there was more for how much I paid, but I don't regret going to see it.

What a nice experience

By davechri |

The Chihuly exhibit sort of consisted of three parts for me.

The first was the indoor exhibit. It was a really broad perspective of Chihuly's works and provided a lot of context for how he created his art. The last part of the indoor portion was the large glass house. It must be amazing to see that in the evening after dark.

The second part was stepping outside through the garden. The glass pieces were, as always, remarkable, but Seattle is just such a pleasant place. The garden itself was lovely and peaceful.

The third and final part was a glass blowing exhibit. I'm not sure if it is always there but watching these craftspeople at work was remarkable. I had only a little exposure to this craft and they did a wonderful job demonstrating and explaining the process as they went about creating a piece of art.

Outstanding Glass and Garden

By Julie S |

You can buy your tickets at a kiosk in front of the building; seniors $33.50 + tax = 35.18
Maybe a 45 min walk inside and out. Nice gift shop. They also have a Bar where we ate lunch. Tomato Soup and grilled cheese $ 16. The soup was lukewarm and orange; bonus was finding a small black hair halfway through. ICK. Dungeness Crab Roll $30; Wild mushroom tagliatelle with chicken $ 21 - large enough to share. Pinot Gris $ 12. For 3 of us $ 79 before tax and tip.

After Dark Experience Mesmerizing!

Outstanding experience! Awesome! The creativity and beauty exhibited is so worthwhile!
Summer "After Dark" viewing makes the experience even better! Don't miss this!

Really Beautiful Glass Artwork and Lovely Garden

By swoodruf |

Visiting the Chihuly Garden and Glass was one of the highlights of this trip for me. There are so many incredible pieces. I loved how there was such a mixture of textures and colors. When you get outside, there is also the plants that are integrated into the experience. I understand now why Chihuly is such a renowned glass artist. I loved it!

Amazing glass creations

By Myrna A |

The glass works creations are amazing… what a talent for the person who created the glass garden. A must see when you visit Seattle.

A “must do” in Seattle

By travellingfeet2009 |

Breathtaking! Don’t hesitate about going if you’re going to the space needle. It’s literally next door and the story of the artist and his art is truly amazing. Multi-art impressions (drawings, paintings, blown glass) of the artist’s life.

A delight for the eyes

By Robin D |

So much color & creativity. His signature bowls & squiggly glass abound. The garden is very clever with the plants echoing the sculptures. A must see when in Seattle.

Exploring Seattle

By Debbie W |

Totally fascinating what can be done with glass. Take your time to go to all the rooms inside and out. It was amazing. The colors are so vivid and the actual exhibits are well worth seeing.

Breathtaking art pieces

By tropical_art |

This museum and garden is now one of my world favorites. The glass work is so beautiful. You could spend a lot of time in each room admiring the glass. My favorites were the Persian room and the Mille {can't remember exact name). It was also a treat to see the installation in the glass conservatory just underneath the Space Needle. For any art lover, this place is a must do!

Astounding glass creations

By Diane H |

Great exhibit of his glass creations. Some outdoor areas and astounding pieces indoors. Some films to watch about different Chulily events around the world. Worth your time to visit.

Prepare to Be Amazed: Chihuly Garden & Glass is Pure Magic in Seattle

By Chris Westwood |

If you're visiting Seattle and want to be absolutely wowed, do not miss Chihuly Garden & Glass! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but this place completely blew me away. It's not your average museum—it’s an experience.

From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by Dale Chihuly’s otherworldly glass sculptures. The colors are vibrant, the shapes are mesmerizing, and every piece feels like it belongs in a dream. The indoor galleries are beautifully lit and curated, but my favorite part was the Glasshouse—a massive glass structure with a 100-foot-long sculpture that looks like a swirl of fire and flowers suspended in midair. It's especially stunning with the Space Needle towering above it, perfectly framed through the glass ceiling.

The outdoor garden is just as magical. Imagine delicate glass reeds and blooms peeking out from real plants and flowers—it's like stepping into a fantasy world. I loved how the glass installations play with natural light and reflect the greenery around them. It's peaceful, beautiful, and surprisingly inspiring.

Helpful tip: Give yourself at least an hour to explore (more if you're into photography). Also, they offer a short documentary about Chihuly’s process and life that’s worth watching.

Best thing in Seattle !

By Jo A |

Best thing in Seattle ! Jaw dropping and magical. What a genius this guy is. Will never forget. Nothing quite prepares you for the sheer scale, and beauty of his glasswork. If you are going to Seattle, don't miss it

Best Museum in Seattle

By trent p |

An amazing museum, Unbelievable glass creations, definitely worth a visit, our favourite museum in Seattle, the glass blowing demonstration was excellent

Interesting but expensive

By MihirMeghani |

This was an expensive ($40) few hours, but offered colorful & interesting art in various exhibitions. This is worth a few hours if you want to see art other than the common things we consider art (paintings, for example). The garden is also quite nice. There is a cafe & a restaurant there. We walked there from downton & then took the monorail back.

A mesmerizing immersive experience - a must do!

By Kelly T |

I was a little skeptical going in as how exciting can blown glass really be? However, it was more than that and truly an immersive experience as the gardens and other decor complimented the glass sculptures and vice versa. Such talent and beauty on display I wanted to linger and linger.

A totally unique museum

By miboth |

I knew nothing about this museum before we went. Someone in my family bought the combo tickets with admission to the Space Needle. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I didn't know what to expect when we first entered but I was quickly amazed. I had previously been to a glass blowing factory, but I had never seen so many pretty and unique objects in a single place before. If you are in the area it is definitely worth visiting.

Amazingly beautiful glass

By CeilingsPA |

Visually it is amazing, the different collections are so stunning.
Inside the rooms your eyes do not know where to focus as each piece is wonderful.
However the even more amazing sights are in the gardens with the blend of natural beauty and glass (reminded so much of Gaudi and how he saw things)
You must also take time to sit in the theatre and watch each film (they are short) you will learn so much about art and glass.
This is a must do in Seattle

Top notch permanent exhibition!!!!!A must see!!!!

By onlinesk |

Hi, I actually went to this exhibition last July and I’m going there again tomorrow, which is July 26, 2024. This is one of the greatest things you can see in the United States or even in the world. Chihuly is pretty famous. He’s done many installations at different venues in Jerusalem. My senior mom is the one who turned me on to his work when she was alive - a bunch of years ago. He did an installation at one of the botanical gardens in South Florida and it’s just beautiful and thank you mom for teaching me about Dale Chihuly. The reason why Seattle has this exhibition is because Dale Chihuly lives I think near there like in Tacoma so he’s a Washington state person so it is a total total total must see every time you are in Seattle every time . Make sure you do watch the video thing I almost missed it when I was there. I almost didn’t watch it but then when I sat down, I actually learned a lot and was reminded of a lot so do watch that video thing. Enjoy sit and enjoy in the spots you can sit.

Speechless

By Edwelsh |

Fantastic, beautiful, awe inspiring. True genius on display here. We were so impressed, so amazed. I know that’s a lot of superlatives, but it’s just so incredible. You really need to see this for yourself if you are in the area. There is an inside museum, an outdoor garden display, a theater and even an upscale restaurant and bar.

Truly exceptional

By Janene Simpson |

I absolutely loved the Chihuly Glass & Gardens experience. There is a limit to numbers at any one time which enables you to take in the artwork without crowds. Definitely pays to book in advance to secure a time.
Can be booked with the Seattle Needle.

Unique experience !!!!

By stavroula p |

Great space , unique exhibition of exceptional glass creations .
Presentation of creation in Friday ovens.

Breathtaking - it’s a must

By Alex F |

Absolutely amazing. One piece is more incredible and impressive than the next. Definitely watch the short videos. And grab a pizza (surprisingly yummy) in the plaza to watch the glass making.

Breathtaking

By Jeri Jo S |

My favorite artist so I was in Heaven. What a beautiful museum. I wanted to walk through twice but it's not really set up that way. The indoor and outdoor areas are just breathtaking.

Incredible glass sculptures

By B-GEnjoyingLife |

If you are a glass lover, this museum is amazing. The exhibits are beautifully displayed and numerous. The colors are breathtaking. It is an indoor/outdoor museum the glass sculpture generously scattered through manicured gardens outdoors. When you go through the glass building outdoors, you are at the base of the Space Needle. This is an attraction children can enjoy; however, as you can imagine, these pieces are all VERY breakable so they cannot touch or get excessively close to them. Don't bring them if you can't control them. Just sayin'

An explosion of colour and texture.

By Anna A |

I am a HUGE fan of Chihuly's work so was thrilled to finally see this wonderful exhibition. Its easy to get there on the monorail, and a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Good in sunny or cloudy weather

By Mark H |

A good visit next to the Space Needle. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor pieces, depending on the weather. We liked the dazzling glass in July sunshine!

Seattle must see attraction

By John C |

Love this place.
Book ahead for an early visit.
The glass work is stunning, intricate and amazing.
Take your camera.

CALL FIRST TO MAKE SURE THERE ISN’T A SPECIAL EVENT.

By Jerome12 |

I suggest you call first to make sure there is not a “special event”.
Paid for the whole exhibition but the glass house and. Hot Shop closed for “special event.”
Went to Space Needle first thought we would chill at the bar space at the Chihuly Garden but???
Closed for “special event”.
The artwork is mesmerizing but the facility needs to reevaluate how you treat paying patrons, discount that day in gift shop maybe, something to compensate for your plans. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
They did say I could come tomorrow I guess that works as long as your flight isn’t leaving then?
Bottom line the event is more “special” than you.

Great glass work, but not worth the price

By Valleyblue |

I'm being generous with a three-star review because the glass work in the Chihuly Glass and Garden Museum is fantastic. However, the museum is quite small and while the quality is good, there needs to be more. We spent $67 (two seniors) for entry and later said that this was about an $18 museum ($16 for seniors). You can save about $10 if you go after 6:00pm, but it closes at 7:00, so we thought we'd be rushed. No, if you're going, definitely do the cheaper late entry, one hour is plenty of time to not only see everything, but also watch the glass blowing demonstration and see the six short films in the theater.

Again, the glasswork is magnificent, but Chihuly doesn't actually do the fabrication, he directs a staff. In all fairness, there's no way one person could create all of this. After seeing the videos, I came away with a feeling like Chihuly is a glass art version of Thomas Kinkade or Jeff Koons.

I came away very disappointed, there are far better and better value museums in Seattle.

Amazing talent on display

By Blovesfood |

Amazing display of art. Very creatively constructed and displayed. Plan to spend at least an hour, maybe two of you listen to the audio tour and spend time with the pieces.
The Bar, the cafe on site, is a great place for lunch or snacks.

AMAZING (plus a traveler tip)

By Tom S |

AMAZING. Simply AMAZING. If you plan to do the Space Needle also, look into the Seattle City Pass or C3 tickets - better deal. We used the C3 ticket for the Needle, and Chihuly Museum, and the Museum of Flight.

Beautiful sculptures

By Michele P |

BEAUTIFUL! Really interesting place and gorgeous pieces of glass/art. Amazing to see and learn about them and the artist. Get the citypass- much better pricewise. Give time especially if you want to take photos as there can be a lot of people. Watch the videos- they are very interesting.

Was it same as other places

By Cheri N |

I love chihuly glass so when I went to museum it looked like work I've already seen in different places. There was a few interesting pieces, but I was expecting more, and different

Takes you to another world

By Cindy D |

A magical place for sure! The photos attest to the surreal atmosphere and the glass colors and lighting together create a real fantasy! Don't miss one of the live demos.

Beautiful!

By FFB |

A little expensive as the museum isn't too big, but the displays were stunning. There is also a little outdoor garden with more glass art - certainly worth a visit.

So Beautiful

By Stacey H |

The museum was so beautiful. I loved the exhibits. The glass blowing demo was incredible. It is a little pricey . It is a little better if you do a combo through city pass or with the Space needle, but it is so worth it.

Beautiful Glass Artworks

By Maria |

Gorgeous glass artworks! They even have glass blowing demos. They have roving photographers who will take your pictures for free. The Bar food was also delicious and good sized portions

Stunning, Jaw Dropping Glass Works of Art

By Pat |

We weren’t planning to come here. We had just returned from a cruise to Alaska and decided to stay one day in Seattle. My husband remembered reading about the exhibit a few years ago and mentioned it.

I looked it up on Trip Advisor and tried to purchase tickets. It said there were no more tickets available for that day (we were there on Sunday, 6/2). I asked the young lady at our hotel’s front desk if they allowed walk-ins. She went directly to their website, and she told us they did still have tickets available.

We purchased two tickets, and took an Uber to the exhibit. We are so glad that we did! What an amazingly beautiful exhibit. We were in awe that what we were looking at was all made of glass. Each grouping is separated into “rooms.” We downloaded the audio tour guide, put in our earbuds and listened to the explanations for each piece.

Absolutely stunning! It was a wonderful way to wrap up our 39th anniversary trip.

Beautiful

By DRBAUKE |

Highly recommended even for art ignoramuses. Some of the art is enchanting and will make you want to spend some time looking at it. A combination ticket with the Space Needle is highly recommended!

Beautiful work but both worth the price

By nicole_chelli |

Located at the base of the space needle features the glass work from Dale Chihuly. It was about $50 plus tax to enter. Though the glass work was beautiful I did not find it worthwhile spending upwards of $60 to visit here. The style of the glasswork seemed repetitive after the first few rooms, I was ready to leave. They had a quick 15 minute demonstration about making glass, that was the coolest thing. But they needed more seating than 12 benches. So many people were made to stand, even the elderly. I’ve been to a glass museum in Switzerland and that was cool, it was interactive with different glasses and how it reflects light and color. This place was was pretty but not worth the money in my option.

Chihuly garden and glass

By Brian T |

This was so amazing, a new attraction for us in Seattle not here when we last visited from Australia. Well worth the visit even husband was impressed and abonus on the day there was a live rabbit sitting amongst one off the garden settings. A must see when visiting Seattle.

There's a reason why this place is #1 in Seattle!

By drpclarke |

I've always liked Chiluly, and now I LOVE it. This is not a small museum with small pieces of glass in cabinets to gawk at. This is a gallery with giant INSTALLATIONS inside and outside. This is an absolutely DO NOT MISS thing in Seattle, and it is worth every penny!

an awesome part of any visit to Seattle. Been twice and would definitely go again.

By DELVIN A |

I had been there before and wanted my family to see it. I was pleased that they enjoyed it as much as I did. The live demonstration at the end was awesome.

Eye opening

By Pippa H |

If you have a couple days in Seattle, I would thoroughly recommend this!
Such beautiful artwork, and insight into an incredible artist. If you can time it right, try going to one of the live demos in the garden at the end of the exhibition so you can learn how glassblowing is done, and more about the history of glassblowing in Seattle.

Just don't miss it!

By klutzWestBend |

Just amazing! So beautiful. Be sure to do everything, including theatre and demonstrations. We used the combination tickets. Nice that seniors get discounts.

Meh

By CheTrvls1 |

From an art perspective, this was a lovely experience! My husband had no idea what to expect and now he's a big fan of glass art. We learned a LOT about Chihuly by watching the series of very short films in the theater. We were lucky to be in the right place at the right time for a great talk given by one of the guides as well! All of them are very knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions. It would be lovely to have a schedule of events upon entrance.
There were a few things that were not cool and they left us with some dissatisfaction.
1- Upon entering the experience, we were told that the outdoor portion was going to close much earlier than the rest of the rooms because of a private event that they were preparing for, so we rushed there first & quickly walked the garden. After we went back and enjoyed all of the indor rooms, we found that it the garden was still open, so we went back and got to fully appreciate all of the plants that complimented each scene.
2- A few guides told us about the glassblowing demonstration at 3:15. I was super jazzed. After sitting in the outdoor theater for about 15 minutes waiting, a staff member told us there was no demonstration because the guy was new and already left for the day. Then he proceeded to tell everyone to leave that seating area because of the private event that they were setting up for. Private events are understandable, but if I'm paying to see everything, being told that I would not be able to and rushing through was not OK.
3- We weren't able to get into the Glass House. Unacceptable.
Given the volume of guests and the price, closing a portion of the experience without disclosing that when I bought my tickets is very deceptive. We would have planned to go to the Space Needle after Chihuly had we known this information up front. It felt like this place was brand new and they were still trying to figure out how to operate.

Be careful, and read all the fine print...

By Larry R |

Be very careful when purchasing a combination ticket that includes the space needle. We paid $134.76, and when we went to go to Chihuly, they were closed for a special event. They refunded $39.32, leaving over $95 we had to pay for 2 Seniors just to go up the space needle. They said we didn't read the fine print!

Incredible!

By Howard B |

I was blown away by this museum from the moment I first walked in. The displays are beyond words. Dale Chihuly's artistic vision is incredible but actually creating it in glass is amazing. I went through the museum twice, went to the glass-blowing demonstration, and took the free guided tour. Because I had time before the tour I went to the cafe, which is highly recommended. Can't miss destination, rain or shine. I also got to ride the monorail, which was cool.

Magic in Glass

By stevehh2525 |

A truly fascinating exhibit of the artist Chihuly's magic creations in glass. There are three sections: in door with large pieces of art, the observatory and outside with smaller creations. Spectacular shapes and colors. Go on a sunny day.

I was surprised at the neatness of the sample in terms of presentation, lighting, colorful spaces. A pleasure

By Adriana P |

It was a magnificent experience about a type of art of which little is disseminated. I really started to appreciate it when reading about the Artist.

Love this place

By PipPaul W |

The artistry of Chihuly glass has always fascinated - how he gets these delicate creations together is amazing
They give a glass blowing demonstration too which is fascinating

Beautiful art!

By Hallee L |

Beautiful garden and pieces! This was one of our favorite stops on our trip, even though it doesn't take up a long time. It's a great visit! We did go right when they opened, so there were no crowds.

Beautiful but not for m

By Faye S |

The glass blown art is very good, but it was very very crowded so you could not see much. If you are an art enthusiast you will enjoy. For me I could have seen more watching a documentary.

Stunning

By rivannatta |

A must see when visiting the space needle! Fantastic gift shop as well. The highlight was the bar, you must stop in for a delicious drink by the mixologists. The staff is very friendly. Order the Bullywog!!!

Stunning

By Cassie H |

I have been a fan of Chihuly for years and I was thrilled to be able to visit this museum. We went late in the afternoon, around 5:30pm and this was a great time as it wasn’t very crowded and we were able to take our time. Even the people I was with, none of whom like art. Really enjoyed the museum.

Breathtaking...

By Matt_UKTX |

This was my favorite experience in Seattle. Just amazing. We visited the Space Needle and this place at the same time. It was fascinating and beautiful. Chihuly really had some breathtaking works of art. I would absolutely return.

Beautiful Art!

By Alicia D |

The Chihuly Garden & Glass is absolutely stunning art by a gifted artist. If you love art, you’ll love this. Highly recommend!

Wish the A/C was working. Glass is beautiful.

By Audrey B |

The glass was beautiful. It’s not a big exhibit, but it’s very interesting. The reason I’m giving it a 3 is this. We went mid July. It was hot outside. We were thirsty and ready for an indoor activity with A/C. We walked in and realized while they were running A/C, it wasn’t working well. And there wasn’t a water fountain. I wanted to watch the video in the theatre, but it was so hot we left after 2 min. The outdoor glass blowing was a good feature, but again, after coming from an indoor temp of 78 (maybe?) it’s in direct sunlight and by then we needed shade and a drink. Had the A/C been working, I would have rated it higher.

Beautiful art inside the museum and outside in the garden.

By Terri A |

What an amazing venue for Chihuly’s Art works. His art is created to be large and amazing . His art is beautifully displayed inside the museum and outside in the garden. Be ready to take some beautiful photos. Nothing boring about this museum!!!
Audio tour is available for free on your phone but you will need your own earpiece to hear.

Colorful amazing!

By Sarah S |

This place is worth it, even if you aren’t an art lover you can’t miss the beauty in the art that is displayed here. I’ve never seen anything quite like it

Stunning exhibits

By WymeswoldOFB |

Stunning glass exhibits both inside and out in the garden. I found myself continually taking photos. Also a very informative set of short films explaining the making f the exhibits and where they have been on tour.

Wow, you have to see this

By Susie J |

This is a place not to miss, it far exceeded my expectations. You will need 1.5 to 2 hrs to fully appreciate it. They had some short clip films to get a better understanding of the way the sculptures are made. If you can get in on a free tour it's worth it. It's right next to the space needle. I took the monorail there & it drops you within a block.

Chihuly Art

By Renee Y |

I love Chihuly sculptures wherever I see them, so it was cool to see a bunch in one spot and learn about the art and artist. It is expensive for a relatively short visit, but worth it if you are a fan.

Stunning glasswork

By Rachel548 |

Used the City Pass for entry and were able to enter 30 mins early since it wasn't busy. Short museum to walk through but absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking glasswork. Cute gardens. Fun gift shop with local artists. Highly recommend.

Stunning, amazing and one of my favorite sites in Seattle

By MichiganMom71 |

This glass art house and garden are not to be missed. I had no idea what it was all about but I am so thankful we opted for the combined Space Needle and Chihuly Garden ticket (saved 20%). These gardens are conveniently located right next to the Space Needle and are absolutely breathtaking. Dale Chihuly is truly an artistic genius and to see his works in a space he designed to showcase all of their nuances is something special. Do not miss this!

Mandatory, unmissable

By Katalin H |

An absolute must-see! Miracle creations made of glass outdoors and indoors. I loved it! This is the No. 1 attraction in Seattle, if you can only see one thing, make it this.

Would not go back. Too pricey.

By Rebe |

It was …. Meh. I don’t think it was worth what it cost. we did do the combined package of the Space Needle and Museum but I would not visit again. Sure the glass structures are pretty, but just maybe not for us. It really was a -meh- reaction. Wish I could go back and just not do it.

You have to see it in person..

By Nyormirror |

I used the ticket from CityPASS for the museum after I went to the Space Needle. The glasswork is breathtaking, and pictures cannot fully represent its true art form. It took us less than an hour to see all the exhibits and the outside garden. The greenhouse was closed for a special event. If you read about all the exhibits and watch the presentation video, it may take another hour.

It is not a place for small, handsy children, as there are no physical barriers around the art.

I recommend making this part of your museum tour when you’re in the area.

Beautiful

By Ron T |

What an amazing place beneath the Space Needle. The colors were totally awesome. We also watched glass blowing. We took the monorail to and from.

Beautiful! Pleasantly surprised by how much my son enjoyed it

By Marianne C |

I was looking forward to going to the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum, but wasn't sure how much my son would engage with it. However, he had a great time. We all thought the artworks were beautiful.

Amazing

By Idk |

The glass work was absolutely amazing. With your admission to the museum you can also go across the street and see a glass blowing demonstration.

Mind Blowing (pardon the pun)

By Trip65721103255 |

What an incredibly amazing experience this place is. Glass works like you have never seen before, inside and beautifully integrated with the gardens outside. Exquisite formations shapes and designs and in myriads of colours await you. It is worth every cent of the price (cheaper if you purchase a City Pass).
What ever you do in Seattle...do not miss this place.

Loved it!

By Terri J |

The Chihuly Glass and garden exhibit was absolutely phenomenal. My husband, and I both enjoyed it completely. I would make a trip there just to see it. It was just stunning. We did the combination entry fee to the gardens and the space needle and both were well worth it.

Finally Got to See This...Worth the Wait

By Bill K |

I visit Seattle semi-frequently, and I have wanted to visit this museum for a very long time. COVID closures, museum hours, and other unexpected things have kept me from getting to see this amazing collection. I finally made it to this museum this year, and it was jaw-dropping in its beauty and splendor. There is so much to see, and it is a must do for visitors to Seattle.

Chihuly is a must see experience...better than the Space Needle by far!

By Holly M |

This was such a beautiful and amazing place. I especially enjoyed that you can walk through leisurely at your own pace. And for someone with mobility issues, I LOVED that there are benches scattered throughout the displays...it gave me a chance to rest and enjoy the displays. This spot appealed to a wide age range...even the 14 year old said it was the highlight of our time in Seattle.

Heavily overpriced

By BrakiWorldTraveler |

I was in doubt if to go here at all when planning our trip. My wife and daughter were against it from the beginning, however being at the top of the TA list I decided to buy combo tickets with Space needle.
The display is nice and interesting, however small and not worth the 30$+ pp entry fee. I watched similar exhibitions all over Europe for much smaller fee and some even for free.

Amazing and engaging

The best art gallery. This gallery delighted us all from beginning to end. The art is huge scale, stunning shapes and colours viewable from multiple angles. Just wonderful.

Worth a visit

By AMD907 |

I'm not a big fan of art galleries but this was beautiful! The tour was informative and the art was all beautiful! I'd gone because my mom absolutely adored it when she went. My trip took an hour on the dot, including the tour and watching the glass blowing demonstration (my mom, an avid hobby photographer was there almost 3 hours.)

Beautiful glass.

The glass pieces are beautiful. There are several moments that you walk into a new area and you are blown away by the scale and beauty. It is a good place to visit at least once.

A Must See Glass Museum

By BlueSkiesHappyDays |

This museum is simply spectacular. We enjoyed slowly moving from room to room and examining the intricacies of each design. You can easily appreciate the amount of work that went into creating each piece. If you have the time, stop and watch the movies shown as they provide great insights into the works. My husband and I were surprised by each new exhibit, both inside and out. Bold and colorful displays will surely wow you. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful glass art

Exceptional glass art. We especially enjoyed the gardens. The choices of plantings amazingly complemented the glass. Second time to visit and will return

Best of Seattle

By Rik1410 |

Unique museum in the world. Large blown glass sculptures (with the technique of the artist Chihuly learned in Burano, Venice) will leave you in wonder. Stunning shapes, colors and textures. I've never seen anything like this in any city in the world. It's really worth it. And while it is there, it is convenient to take the combined entrance to visit the Space Needle tower that is a few meters from the museum.

Brilliant Beyond Degree

Unbelievable glass works with brilliant colors and light enhancing to create an amazing experience. It was easy walking with so many different photo opportunities.

Stunning glass sculpture!

Located right beside the iconic space needle, amazing display of stunning blown glass sculpture, well worth the admission. There was a lot of people in there, would recommend going early if possible!

The Best Most Memorable Attraction I Visited in Seattle

By Linda H |

I hadn’t heard of this until arriving in Seattle. It was recommended to us. It was one of the attractions on the city pass. It was amazing. I have never seen such beauty made in glass. Wonderful

Beautiful Chihuly Garden

By rogersjc |

Couldn't believe how gorgeous the displays were. Have seen other Chihuly pieces at our local museum and in Vegas, not nothing compared to this. Stunning displays both in building and outside in the garden. They even had a glass blowing exhibition going on while we were there.

Definitely visit!

By Dallasgal56 |

This is a must visit when you visit Seattle, We took the light rail from Downtown--easy peasy. We pre-purchased our tickets online and avoided the line. It is a self-guided tour through some of Chihuly's most impressive works. May take you 1-2 hours.

Magical

By bkute65 |

BEAUTIFUL !!! It is a must see, if you are going to Seattle. We got a joint ticket for the Space Needle too and were able to check out a wheel chair at the Space Needle that we could also use at Chihuly. This made it much easier for my husband with mobility issues to enjoy the Chihuly.

Glass sculptures

By bcheong |

Famous glass blowing and art. Sculptures on display indoors and outdoors. Impressed by how large some of these are, and how hardy they are when it rains . Missed the glass blowing demo, that would have been fun to watch

Beautiful and accommodating

By Jennifer A |

The exhibit was beautiful. We loved all the ways the art was displayed and there were different varieties and colors of the art. There were plenty of places for my mom to rest which was nice throughout the museum. We truly enjoyed the demonstration and the video at the end of the museum.

A magical place!

THIS IS A MUST when visiting Seattle! His work is spectacular in so many ways. It is a magical place that I would highly recommend for all ages and stages.

Amazing Glass Museum

By ShelSouthShore_MA |

Visiting Chihuly Gardens and Glasshouse is a beautiful experience! The glass inside and out is truly stunning. The vases and the pots and the statuary are like nothing else ! The glass blowing demonstration was informative and entertaining! As you walk through the gardens, you see so many wonderful pieces of glass! An enjoyable afternoon!

A Seattle MUST SEE! Be sure to buy the combo deal ticket with Chihuly and the Space Needle next door.

By American Eskimo |

Outstanding collecting of glass and other media. This is a MUST SEE while in Seattle! Be sure to buy the combo ticket with the Space Needle located next door. Be sure to see the glass blowing demonstrations held several times per day. The demo was educational and entertaining.

Interesting but expensive

By FuzzyBeaver |

They have some stunning pieces of glass art. It is amazing what innovative methods were developed to produce the various works. The demo was also great because they produced a full piece from stat to finish. The only downside is the admission price which is exceeding high.

Nice but overpriced

By Jon-telaviv1 |

Nice glass art but overpriced. Cost 159 dollars for a family of four and it's not a massive site. So while we enjoyed it, we didn't feel it was value for money.

Beautiful!

By hhsol |

What a feast of color! It’s the most beautiful place in the city, well worth the expensive tickets, it was really hard to stop taking pictures ;)

Wonderful place to visit

By JenTWIDU |

Amazing exhibit and well set out
Staff were helpful and friendly
Take your time to appreciate the skill and creativity
No selfie sticks or gimbals allowed to ensure creations are protected

Unique and Beautiful

By Bill W |

I have never been to anything quite like this. The glass sculptures are amazing, colorful, and breathtaking. The talent and skill to put this together must be incredible. Photos are nice but don't convey the beauty of these constructs.

Well worth a visit

By Nora W |

Enjoyed my second visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass. Even on a rainy day, it is worth it to view the galleries and to see the garden from the glasshouse. On this visit, I took time to view all the films in the theater: those short films added to the experience in learning more about Chihuly and his team and their beautiful installations in many locations.

Should not be missed.

By Dale C |

This is unbelievably beautiful! This is a world class experience. It should not be missed if you are ever in Seattle. Fantastic!

Must-go

By Maria do Carmo F |

Beautiful museum and garden, an unmissable attraction for anyone in Seattle. It's in the same park as the Space Needle and the Pop Art Museum, so it's worth taking a day to just stay there and see the three wonderful attractions. There are cafes and many options of places to eat in the same park. Better to go on a day without rain, as the museum also has works outside.

Fun and educational tours!

By Family6768 |

Chillagully Gardens was absolutely beautiful!! It amazing to see awesome colors entwined and blown into glass. Educational and fun at the same time. The only disappointing thing was that the garden was closed due to an event . Will definitely come back. A great suggestion is to use " City Pass" to get a good deal to visit different areas of Seattle. Have fun!!

Great exhibit and Seattle Center was beautiful

By B N |

This is my third Chihuly exhibit to see, and I think a really worthwhile stop. It was very well done, just so much to see. Amazing glass work, the forms, shapes, colors, and designs are a feast for the eyes. So enjoyed it. You can spend as much time as you like. Pictures are so great, a really neat reminder of the visit. I got the combo pass for this and the space needle, so did both the same day and walked around Seattle Center park. Had lunch in the old armory building, now a food hall and event venue. Was a beautiful day with sunny skies and cool temp, perfect for enjoying all the sights.

Such an amazing collection of glassworks

By David N |

Wow. So beautiful.
Such a talented artist.
So much to see. Don't miss the video presentations.
Then revisit ALL of the exibits now that you know how it's done!

Absolutely beautiful

A must see location. Such beauty inside and out. Every room you walk into will make you gasp with delight. Excellent gift store too.

Incredibly beautiful and engaging installations

By amandak616 |

Our visit to Chihuly was a wonderful way to spend a few hours on a recent trip to Seattle. We enjoyed walking around seeing the various installations, which were all indescribably beautiful. We also took the time to stay for one of the glass blowing demonstrations, which was so informative and engaging. I'm so glad we added this to our itinerary and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something to do in Seattle!

Incredible Attraction - Our Favorite Thing in Seattle

By Grover R |

There are a lot of great things to do in Seattle; however, it is clear why this is number one. Dale Chihuly is an artist from Washington who specializes in blown glass. We have had a chance to see a number of his works like the lobby of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Here in the former spaces of the World's Fair at the base of the Space Needle, Seattle has dedicated a gallery to some of his best works including one tailor made for a unique venue space.

I will say the glass is beautiful and amazing by itself with all the colors. However, the way the gallery lights them especially against a black background makes for an incredible display. See the pictures as I could not get over them. The colors are simply incredible.

However, there is more as you enter a uniquely designed glass venue where above you hangs blown glass that looks and feels like fall leaves in the wind. Even more impressive is noticing the Space Needle above you. I imagine you can rent this room for weddings or events, and it is an incredible space. You then get to go outside to see more exhibits in the gardens. These are impressive the way they mix the glass with the plants and buildings like the glass venue and Space Needle.

All in all, this is a great attraction that everyone in our group thought was the best part of our Seattle visit. I am not a big art person, but this was well worth seeing, simply amazing.

Glass - It's Always Moving

By Ross T |

It was superb! We enjoyed the Sea Life structure/exhibit and the outside Glass Garden the most, yet all the exhibits were wonderful. We could have stayed longer, will definitely return on next trip to Seattle.

The highlight of my visit to Seattle.

By MichelleRose |

Seriously beautiful, this is an absolute must-see in Seattle.
The exhibits are mind-blowing and the outdoor installations in the garden are very special indeed.
The beer in bar is also very good!
