We always enjoy our trips to Cocoa Beach. The beach is clean and no driving is permitted so it is safer. The town of Cocoa Beach itself is quaint and everything is within a short drive. Perfect for a beach vacation!

The water is great! Parking is at least $10/4 hours if you find a spot. The pier and local shops are disgusting.

It smells like weed, pollution, and cheeseburgers. Not that the last part is a bad thing but the sand was just right to draw a huge dino and write gay in the sand multiple times because Florida!! The pelican restaurant tasted delicious and the view was nice once we left (again the weed smell was horrific). On my way there I saw a bumper sticker that said 'I like women' and another that said 'Joe and the Hoe have to go'. Which was questionable, but overall good time :)

If you are even passing through, this beach is worth a stop! It is a very long beach (with plenty of parking along the way) where you can relax and watch the aerospace launches that depart from the Cape Canaveral base. If you go to the northernmost part, you can walk by the sea for km without crossing anyone, only turtle nests .. wonderful!
Watch out for strong currents and mosquitoes at sunset!

Great beach, friendly people! Easy rental use of equipment for thr beach. Lots to see and do! It's worth it!

Have been to the pier many many times. First of all no drunks or drug dealers. The service has always been good but with new owners even better. The menu is much better and the food is tops. The new bar at the end is really great.

We parked at the Alan Shepherd park which was $15 for the day. Get there by noon to get a spot. Bathrooms and a couple of drink/snack places right there. Foot showers available and beach chairs, umbrellas , body and surf boards for rent. The beach was very nice, good surf and overall people were considerate about spacing apart. Lifeguards on duty. Fantastic day.

Cocoa Beach is a beach town/tourist trap. I don't like either one. Cocoa beach has a little more than Titusville but not much.
If you like beach towns then by all means go.

Horrible, trashy, dirty, tourist trap of a place. There are much better beaches in Florida. I wouldn't waste your time or money here. Don't believe the billboards.

It was my first time at a real beach. Parking is a pain, but the beach is pretty and my husband and I had a fun time searching for seashells.

Have had drunk beach visitors jay walkers slap my car in front of a local official. nothing.
Rear ended by a drunk visitor who took off in front of a local official - nothing
Been driving on a side street to avoid A1A wrong way drivers only to be pulled over by a local official for no reason - must have been the CB parking sticker he didn't like

A beautiful Beach, need to go back and spend more time there soon. We went for surfing lessons and lunch, can't wait to go back and soak up the sun.

This is first time visiting the place and it wAs ok. The beach was nice but the water was dirty. A lot of sea weed was washed up and was i. The water. There was plenty of life Guard at the beach . Wasn’t crowded either

Cocoa Beach police have a scam going. In a dark part of N. Atlantic Ave at 4th St. they have an undercover policeman who waits till you are a few feet from a pedestrian crosswalk and then sets off a yellow blinking light and steps into the cross walk. The speed limit is 35 MPH so it is impossible to stop. The yellow sign can not be seen till it lights. The officer is in dark clothes with a hoodie and can not be seen till the last second. Immediately, you are stopped and given a ticket for 169.00. Not much you can do about it. I saw 8 police cars stopping others for various offenses. So just be careful in evening. They stop you for every possible infraction.

This beach is very nice. The sand was nice and clean and the water had a nice greenish color to it. There were people relaxing and fishing on the coast. We stopped in a few different spots. It was all beautiful

Enjoyed a quick trip to Cocoa Beach. Parking was about $2.50 per hour or $10 for the entire day. The water was extremely cold. Bring your own beach chairs. The area that we visited didn't have chair rentals. Not crowded.

This was our first visit to this area of Florida and we had a fantastic time. The weather for our week April 8-15, 2023 was unusually windy and a bit stormy which brought up a lot of seaweed, but we still found plenty to do and see. We stayed at the Discovery Beach Resort right on the beach and had a really good experience. Lots of really good restaurants within walking distance. Definitely on our list as a repeat location for 2024!

A last minute business meeting turned into a quick get away to Cocoa Beach for our family this past weekend. We usually stay a bit further north toward Daytona and we were unfamiliar with the Cocoa Beach area and vacation rentals there. With under 24 hours to book something before we traveled, I was nervous about using a new site for this rental, doing everything online and not interacting directly with a human, but I'm so happy I did. From booking to checkout, the process couldn't have been any easier. As soon as I booked, I received an email confirmation with check in instructions and all of the important info I needed. We stayed in Unit 201 and it was wonderful. Very bright and airy decor, plenty of linens for kitchen, baths and bedrooms. The kitchen had everything you'd possibly need. (I was blown away that it had a salad spinner and blender.) There were even plenty of trash bags, laundry and dishwasher detergent.
There were beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella and a cooler to use on the beach.
While there were plenty of people and their dogs there, it was quiet and the grounds were very clean. Although you access the units from outside, there's an elevator and luggage carts to use. That was such a wonderful bonus.
If you stay here, make sure you check out the rooftop deck area. It's a fun place to just sit and relax.
The location is outstanding. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance and the pier is maybe a 3 minute walk down the beach.
Dean sent a couple of emails to check in with us while we were there to make sure everything was going well. I really appreciated that.
I cannot wait to go back.

Excellent place to chill and watch the surfers. Relax and enjoy the warm waters and great waves! Plenty of beach for everyone

Not the best but ok for space coast.
Ok for a quick stop
Not real romantic
Kind of dated area with good and bad spots
Walkable town
Just ok if you are limited on time or location

Parking enforcement officer harassed my family. We asked him for help with parking and he yelled at us for stopping to ask him then followed us down the road and yelled at us again and all we did was look for parking.

Some folks like driving on the beach but its hard to watch the kids and relax. Large beach and easy to get towN useuly go by the pier its nice and food and icecream is very close plus showers.

Plenty of parking in one of the city lots. Bathrooms were clean and safe. Beach access was 1 minute walk from where we parked. Beach is world class and patrolled. Watch out for posted rip tide zones.

Nice clean beach with a nice pier. Paid Parking lot available located right at the pier which was handy.
Stopped in at the rikki tiki tavern for some drinks. Cocktails were great.

we were only there for one day and the weather didn't cooperate but the beach is beautiful. Will absolutely return

Peaceful beach without all the tacky touristy stuff you'll find in other places in Florida. Family friendly.

It was a mega cool experience to be at Cocoa Beach. However the hotel we have stayed in we were not really happy for. It was located right to the beach and had pool with free request performance of towels. But it did not have enough chairs or other chairs for the guests.
The beach itself was sandy. But the possibility of purchase of sun loungers and umbrella. The water was not clear because of waves and sand.
And then we saw sharks in a depth that only went to the hips. That was crazy.
There are several places where you can buy refreshing drinks and something to eat. Prices are OK. There are also shops where you can buy souvenirs and other things.
We have been very fond of the area and have also visited several good restaurants around.

It begs the question of who finds Cocoa Beach - the area, the beach, the numerous fast food chains and the surroundings attractive? It was a disappointment of epic proportions. Injury attorney billboards (slip ‘n’ fall), vape shops, check cashing, bail bonds, adult video shops to name a few less than desirable establishments surrounding the skyline. A Ron Jon Surf shop steals the horizon and exemplifies the vast majority of clientele that frequents the area. Don’t even bother.

Walked the beach last week with my girlfriend. I've lived here since 1983 and was so happy to see how clean and wide the beach is now. We went on a weekday morning (8-9am) and were not alone, but it was not crowded. We walked up to our calves in the water and had a good aerobic workout. Thank you Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral for keeping our beach fabulous.

Great views friendly people and easy to get around. A bit more laid back and quiet than S Beach, Destin. Clearwater or Ft Lauderdale.

Excellent beach with great restaurants behind it. Beautiful scenery and the beach was clean. Lifeguards were very friendly.

On the first day of our road trip, we stopped by Cocoa Beach in the late afternoon and were just in time to watch the sunset. We walked down the Pier to the end to stop at Rikki Tiki Tavern and enjoy a drink and enjoy the fabulous ocean view! So beautiful! The beach was flat for easy walking and very clean. It was not crowded and the weather was nice. I'm glad we had enough time to stop by here.

This sandy beach that is good only for surfers is currently closed for a good length for work so access to the ocean is blocked by a red protective net and metal pipes

My husband and I stopped at the pier. We ended up having brunch there. I had the mac and cheese breakfast which was amazing. I would recommenced. We also had a mimosa and a bloody mary which were good deals for price.

My 8 year old has never seen the ocean. On a recent trip to Orlando, we decided to check out Cocoa Beach. I read that you had to pay to park, however we arrived later in the day and didn’t have to. The sand is gorgeous and the water was warm. I was surprised the beach wasn’t that busy, however we did visit during the week. I was surprised to see a lifeguard on duty. My daughter loved looking for shells.

My boys enjoyed surf lessons and boogie boarding. Lots of beach to spread out. Unfortunately during our stay there was a ton of seaweed in the water and washed up on the shoreline. Overall nice beach

We visited in August 2023 (Same as another review I did, only coming round to writing this review in September 2024, honestly, not sure why?!🤦♂️🫠)
We stayed in Kissimmee and visited Cocoa Beach, as we went to watch the Daytona 500.
All I can really say about Cocoa Beach, is that it is amazing and the fact that I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. When visiting it, we had such a great time and will forever appreciate the memories made whilst visiting.
On one of our last nights before flying back to the UK, we where so fortunate to see a rocket launch, with a few astronauts that flew to International Space Station, which truly was an amazing experience.

Craig at Squid Lips was the best waiter EVER! He’s actually my new best friend. Delicious food, awesome service! Thank you!!!

F**king s**t hole, I saw a crack pipe on the beach and choose to get drunk to forget that memory. I’ve seen black and white movies less grey than the sand at the beach. The most fun thing to do in cocoa beach is leave. 0.1 out of 10 and that’s for the Ron John. Terrible

Lots of ways to get to the beach. It's long, and pretty clean. We watched a Cape Kennedy rocket launch at 4:30am, great view on the beach!

Cocoa Beach is a beautiful beach. It is very clean and far less crowded than some other FL beaches. The sand is beautiful and the sunrises are amazing.

Spent a month walking and body surfing the Atlantic. Lovely warm weather every day. Definitely worth the visit.

Moved to Florida and decided to make this our first beach visit . We parked a street over to beach paid $25 for all day but stayed about 4 hours . Sand is clean dark sand and a bit sticky . Water is good only problem we had was seaweed everywhere lots of it . I didn’t see much bathroom access which with kids that’s rough . Other wise ok beach will go again .

We had lovely food served at the pier bar but in the afternoon our teen needed a glass of water and i asked for a coffee, which had been served to me earlier in the day. She was told she couldnt have the water and they had no coffee. When i intervened, was told the same. When i mentioned that they had served me coffee earlier they said they didnt do coffee. They didnt Have coffee( very confusing) Refused, very adamently, they didnt have coffee. But , eventually gave the teen her glass of water. Just left us thinking they were not the best,as 17 of us had eaten with them earlier. Just saying!!

Always a great time! The best part is seeing rockets go off and cruise ships go out to sea all while enjoying the sun and sand.
If you enjoy a sunrise over the ocean cocoa beach definitely has some of the most beautiful one I’ve seen!

We have enjoyed our stay here. Found some good local places to eat and met some really nice people. But I what is disappointing is no dogs allowed on beach! There is a "dog" beach area that is open to animals during certain times. But still several mules from our hotel area. Go to Hilton Head island it is very friendly to pets and bicycling.

Made a special trip over from the west coast, during our vacation. Why?? WAVES! Our sons love to play in waves and CB has them! Really big waves, great for boogie boarding. We stayed at Best Western next to the pier. Nice area, there was some litter near the beach but not on it....a pet peeve. Hope the town realizes that tourists do not want to see litter near the beach. The sand was great too, even had some shells for collecting. The pier didn’t seem too exciting....had a lineup just to get onto it, due to Covid. Might check it out next time. It was mid March, beach was not too crowded. No crazy behaviors witnessed.

I confirm the previous review....the place is not worth a stop except for a walk on the beach and a bath. At 9.30pm we could not find a place that would give us food if not mc’donalds but strictly takeaway.... to avoid on a tour of Florida!

Clean beach and water (as long as you don't mind seaweed!), was perfect temperature for swimming in and cooling off from the heat - but be careful of the strong riptide that makes this a great spot for surfing!
Good facilities around the beach with the pier.
Sunbed/chair/umbrella rental - expensive for what it was but if you were there all day the prices would be a little better than just a few hours in the afternoon.

Stayed at local VRBO. Waked few blocks to beach. It’s a wide beach. Surprised by big shell piles due to recent storm. Enjoyable walk to famous pier. Beach is we’ll maintained. Be courteous & take your trash to keep it well maintained. Come for a beautiful sunrise! Bring a chair, sunscreen & umbrella and stay a while! Watch a surfer or kite surfer!

Cocoa Beach is a slice of old Florida. Very quiet and not at all fancy. Seems like a good place for families and those that are watching their budgets.

Just returned home from a few days at Cocoa Beach, and I'm already missing it. When I was younger I lived in Vero Beach and would go up to CB when ever I could to see the Guys surfing at the pier or just hang out at the beach, visit Ron Jon Surf Shop when it was located on the pier ! A lot has changed since the 70's except one thing, CB will always have that Feeling that you belong there. I have never had a problem while visiting the area and my family has always felt safe. We enjoy the people and the laid back amosphere. No, it's not Daytona or Miami beach or even Myrtle beach and that's a GOOD thing. And one more thing, a thank you to the First Responders that keeps us safe !

Nice white sand , long beach .Quiet in the North part , no lifeguards. Cocoa beach pier area have more actvities like beach volley-ball. fishing, and restaurants, bars where you have a drink/food with great views of the sea

I love nothing better than a nice day at the beach this was my first trip to Cocoa Beach and it will not be my last very pleased with the water the people and the general atmosphere

This beach is wide and sandy. Packed sand near the water makes it easy to walk on the sand. Did not see many seashells. Surf was pretty strong with good sized waves. .Lifeguard station covers a section of the beach near the pier.
Did see several beautiful blue jellyfish washed up on the beach which a bit of googling identified as Portuguese Man of War. Definitely to be avoided. Their sting is known to be very very painful. Weather in early Feb 2020 was unseasonably warm, about mid-80s.
We walked near the Cocoa Beach Pier which provides the usual beach businesses on the pier. About a half dozen restaurants and gift shops. There is a $2 fee to go to the end of the pier to either fish or visit the tavern at the end of the pier.

Cocoa Beach would be more beautiful if we did not have to sit on the beach and look at cruise ships on the ocean in the horizon. Cruise ship company's are sending a msg don't forget us , thats why they park there. Some people do not approve of cruise ships because of the toxins and sewage they dispense into the ocean killing sea life wherever they go.
Step forward Brevard County, Cocoa Beach protect your oceans and sea life!!

It's a great beach to visit for free. Parking can be challenging to find mid-day, as all of the designated lots were full. We lucked out and found meter parking right next to a beach entrance that was only a few bucks an hour. The beach was clean and not too packed. You can bring alcohol as well. Great experience and would definitely recommend. You can even see a few of the launch pads for Cape Canaveral from it.

they take much pride in their beach and have done well love the turtle nest and the waves for surfing were great.

Great place to watch a launch. Too bad it was scrubbed and windy & cold,
Would defiantly go there again

We went on a sunny weekday and the beach had a lot of swimmers, but it was crowded. The view is beautiful, the sea water is good. The surf area is short and passing this area, you can enjoy calmer waters. Second time I was there and I really liked it. One tip I've just discovered is that, at a certain point on the beach, you have access to free parking and they all give access to the beach. These entrances are made of wood and have picnic tables. In one of them, there are bathrooms, showers, and chair and umbrella rentals, which is a luxury there. Normally you have to take your chairs and umbrellas from home. Don't forget to take your food and babies, there is no place to buy them. Occasionally an ice cream man passes by on the sand, but not often.

Nice for body boarding, taking a good sun tan. Good for the whole family. Lifeguards. Enough Space for social distancing. Umbrellas or sun shades are a must.

My husband and I spent a day at the beach here and set up our beach chairs and towels close to the Pier. The pier was fun to walk on once or twice, but was very congested with visitors and napkins flying everywhere. The Beach Vibe was great, and the beach itself with the Pier was beautiful. The bathrooms on the pier were gross and all out of toilet paper.

Love the beach. Love the pier. Although there happened to be a lot of weed washing in when we were there yesterday. Red tide? Not the usual. Great beach to walk or chill watching the ships and the ocean.

We went to Cocoa Beach on a road trip. It was very nice! We loved Cocoa Beach and the pier! Fantastic time!

It was fun jumping the waves and everything parking was confusing due to the construction but overall had a great time with my family as we played in the sand buried each other swam around and it wasn’t busy at all so we got to relax and enjoy🏖👌🏼😁😍

We had a wonderful and relaxing time on Cocoa Beach. Can't wait to go back. Everyone we encounted was so friendly!

Quaint with pretty beaches & beautiful seashells:
Cockles, Calico Scallops, & Bittersweet clam shells, all collected from the shores.

We are from sunny southern California and live 15 minutes from some great beaches in MDR and Santa Monica…BUT nothing comes close to one of the most picturesque beaches on earth… COCO BEACH 🏖️! From parking feet from the beach and walking on some beautiful white sand, the whole environment was breathtaking! What we all loved the most and especially my children was the WARM Atlantic ocean! It felt like warm bathwater! To top it off the salt content didn’t hurt our eyes (we forgot our goggles) and the floor of the sea was as smooth as the beach. No big rocks, and plenty of sea shells to be collected. Fun had by all… BUT please
reserve a chair with umbrella for rent already set up, or make sure to bring your own umbrella and chair… it gets HOT 🥵 in July!

The rip currents were strong and the waves were high most of the time during our visit in late July. Surfers were having a nice time. Strong swimmers may not have been affected so much. Kids and families on the other hand preferred to be on the beach or just some feet away in the water ifto just cool their feet and legs. My husband and son liked the waves very much and stayed long time in the water while I read my book under our umbrella and lounged in a comfortable seat. The sand was very smooth and water with perfect temperature and it was clear and fresh.

Well manicured and warm water make this a wonderful beach destination. The main beach is guarded. Lots of people enjoying the sand and water while we were there.

The beach is VERY open with absolutely no shade at all so be prepared to spend $20 per chair and each umbrella. The beach was very clean but the water is not good - very green - not blue at all. It was VERY hot when we were there which would probably not be good if you had small children as you'd have to keep them under the umbrella. A one and done for me!

parasailing, deep sea fishing, kayaking through the mangrove tunnels. all amazing. had an excellent time at the beach! very nice town.

We were staying at the Inn at Cocoa Beach so Cocoa Beach was at our front and back doors.
Much of the city of Cocoa Beach is walk-able with many restaurants close together.
The beach itself is beautiful and well maintained, we saw city cleaning crews on the beach early every morning cleaning up.
Although we didn't swim while we were there walking the beach was very enjoyable.

We visited when it was raining, unfortunately. Even though the beach and the water was not pretty that day. It was still a day at the beach. There is a lot to do here and many restaurants. I can see how people love visiting this beach. I did get to put my feet for the first time in the Atlantic Ocean. It is very different from the Gulf.

Loved this beach, it was a bit crowded but was expected on a holiday. Loved the pier and all the food and drink options

The beach was beautiful, and fun! The views are amazing, and the weather was perfect! Everyone on the beach is super nice!

we spent the morning on Cocoa Beach, watching the surfers and the different birds flying apart. Only small problem here is lack of shade

Very crowded, beach had a lot of garbage on it. Not use to this from the previous years visited. However, it was very pretty.

Beautiful evening at the beach. The beach is really clean and the sand is soft. Got to see the moon rise over the ocean, which was stunning. Their is reasonable parking about a block from the beach. Cannot be wait until I go back.

Beautiful beach and lots of seashells. We stayed a week in a condo on the beach. The sunrise on the water is beautiful. A great place to walk along the water - lots of families.

The beach is close to the Port Canaveral. We bought shore excursions from RL. It is $14.99 pp to and from Cocoa Beach. we rent a umbrella and a lounge chair for $30. The beach is not special and can’t compare with Coco Cay, Bahamas and Blue Lagoon Island, Bahamas which two beaches we went to in this cruise trip. Next time, we will skip the Cocoa Beach.

I have always enjoyed Coco Beach it has a family feel an everyone is so nice there !! Great for Family Vacations

This beach is by far one of my favorites!! The sand was so soft and clean and overall was a very beautiful beach!! It wasn’t too crowded and very nice!!

Great beach to play at while excitedly waiting for a rocket launch! Soft sand, easy access (you can park at the pier for $20-25, and when you park you get a wristband to use the restrooms on the pier if needed. Lifeguards supervising some areas for those with younger kids. My teens enjoyed the boogie boarding, the waves were great.

DIAMOND PLUS MEMBER! BEST WESTERN HOTEL GROUP!
STAYED AT BW ON BEACH TWICE A YR FOR 5 Yrs! THIS YEAR SO OVER RATED NEW MGM. Poll area 2 umbrellas 3 lounge chairs 1 table with broken glass! Roaches in room. Mostly over crowded with huge numbers piled in one room illegals! Europeans excels t as always ! We paid for 5star rate! Others paid 2 star rate using hotel discount apps! Mgr not responsive did not care! 3rd world nationals! Refused to purchase chairs tables etc best western hq! Not responsive! Very poor corporate leader! Their are fine hotels on cocoa beach! With grand amenities! This is not one! We had to got to small claims to receive our $260. Per night refund!

Nice sand, not a lot directly on the beach or pier to do. Fair amount of shopping on road nearby. Parking fee, but not excessive. Marion Rd showers bathrooms were ok, not great. Umbrella chair rentals available but close fairly early.

Beautiful Clean Beach. Pretty gray colored fine sand with lots of shells. Saw lots of surfers, paddle boards and skim boards. Families and children all over the place. People didn’t seem to mind the cooler February temperatures of the water. Bars and Restaurants at beach hotels.

Wonderful place, wonderful beach, with a little luck you can find free parking and then head off to the beach, which is very well maintained. We would choose this beach over Daytona Beach any day. It is worth a visit and a stay

Paid $20 to park. When we got in the peir was restricted and we couldnt walk on it unless we were going to eat. This sign should be prominent before you enter and pay. The security guard said the sign was posted there. We looked for it on the way out and could not find it. Chose Florida as many COVID restrictions have been lifted. Went to pier because it was listed under "free things to do"
Lots of :,free beaches" to visit instead

The beach is the beach but the pier is just average and parking was rediculously priced! The beach was nice.

Absolutely gorgeous beach - go up a little north and you can avoid the crowds. Soft, fine sand that's very easy to walk around. There were blocked off areas for nesting turtles this month.

Great place! Good food, good drinks and a great little gift shop. We scored a hotel right next door and couldn't be happier. This is a terrific vacation spot. A real crown jewel for Cocoa and for anyone to visit.

Cocoa Beach. Great sand and great water, not much else to say. Went during the winter with temps mid 70's and absolutely perfect. Sand clean and no trash. Not much to complain about.

The beach was still fun on a rainy day! You can still build sand castles, put your toes in the water and find amazing sea shells at this beach.

Great beach with a great location. We were able to find parking with no problem and it was not crowded. The beach is kept clean, the only reason I took a star off is the day we were there the sea grass was out of control. I'm not sure who normally rakes this but they had not done it when we were there.

Had a really nice time staying here and the drinks on the Pier were great. Stayed one night before going on cruise the following day.

We’ve been coming to Cocoa Beach every August for the last 6 years and were so disappointed by the disgusting brown algae filled water. The gunk and slime got all over you even if you just got splashed by a wave. It was so think we were forced to stay out of the water because of the stuff. We went for an evening walk on the beach and accidentally stepped in some of it and it stuck all over our feet! The 2nd day the clumps of seaweed/algae started to have a nauseating rotten smell. I would imagine this will eventually clear up, but wanted to warn anyone planning to go in the near future.

Nice sand and lots of room. Waves not that good for surfing. Maybe this was not the best time of year
Good family beach. Hawaii and Australia are much better for surfing.

Love coco beach!! Very quiet and safe! Very clean beach !! Easy to get to!! Always a pretty sunset!! Beach is not crowded!! Peaceful

Nice beach. Sand is more coarse and not as white as other beaches .The sand was clean though . Food and drinks on the pier were great ! Try the pineapple cider very refreshing
Umbrella rental with 2 chairs was 30bucks.
Water was as expected..for the gulf..warm and not clear. Bathrooms were okay for a beach. ATM on site.

I didn't spend a lot of time here but enjoyed the food and the kind people while I was there. Some new hotels being built as well.

We stayed at the DoubleTree located directly on the beach. Nice long clear sandy beach - we could take long walks. The weather was a bit cool for sunbathing but we enjoyed said walks, picking up shells. We did see a lot of jellyfish one evening though. There is also a beach bar a few doors down from the DoubleTree.

We came last year for the first time and returned this year. We will be making this a yearly tradition. So laid back and not the hustle and tinsel of so many other tourist locations.

Seaweed is bad right now. Need a way to control the seaweed better. It doesn’t smell too bad but there’s a lot of it. Please be careful

The beach was clean and not crowded. You can swim, surf, or play volleyball. I loved watching the sunrise by the pier each morning and seeing the egrits on a daily basis was really cool.

Very nice beach, clean… no trash on the beach. Plenty of room between groups/families. I love the beach.

In town for the night but wanted to check out the beach. Lots to see and do here. From watching people surf to playing beach volleyball to just playing in the water. Plan on coming back when we have more time.

I was grateful for the close to beach parking available on Washington with wheelchair spots available. Made access easier for my sister who uses a wheelchair mostly but can walk a few steps. She was able to walk up the ramp and see the beach and water birds, and kite surfers from that place.

Lorie Wilson and the Dog Park entrance to the beach with the life guards have absolutely horrible bathrooms. Feces everywhere, I come once a week and the bathrooms are always the same. Will eventually uploads photos.

Beautiful quite beach, we enjoyed an afternoon taking in the waves and looking for seashells, we had the best time. The beach is very clean and water is beautiful. Would definitely recommend going.

The grayish sand doesn't make it as pretty as some others, but there is TONS of room and the waves for this area of Florida are really nice.

In Cocoa Beach for the SpaceX launch, we spent the day on the beach leaving me to think: why had I not come here before? Read on for details.
Easily accessible with multiple points of entry, Cocoa Beach is a fairly narrow strip of white sand puncuated by life guard stands. We staked out a socially separated site near the high-tide mark and kicked back. Before the beach filled up, my son and I tossed the frisbee without too much fear of getting in anybody's way. The water was comfortably warm and the surf enticing enough for body surfing.
What can I say? It was a great beach day and sort of beach I would return to.

The pandemic has taken its toll on this place. Most places were not open when we visited. The beach was groomed nicely though. Not what I expected.

We enjoyed Cocoa Beach! It wasn't very busy at the beginning of June. It was clean and fun to play in the waves. We found a spot to hang out about 1/2 mile north of the pier and a small public parking lot by searching on Google and Trip advisor. Parking at the Pier was $20. 😐
Talked to one of the locals that told us not many locals go to the pier much anymore bc a big development company bought it or the area around it. They didn't like all the changes. We didn't spend anytime at the Pier, it was all about the ocean for us!

Pier- dont bother; Beach, great
Pier is one big tourist trap, from the moment ALL drinks are taken from you before stepping onto it, through to the tourist tack shops selling cheap chineeese junk! the restaurants and bar at the end are VERY POOR QUALITY.
Spend you money in the town where it is genuinely appreciated.

Gorgeous beach and fun to watch surfers and boogie boarders. Lots of waves and fun to swim in. Perfect water temp and decent amount of people. Had good conversations with some locals. The sand was soft and clean and enough variety of shells to scavenge for. Fun day for us before we headed back home. We were close to the pier and there was no public restroom. There was a surf place to rent from. We also paid $10 to pro for the day.

Fantastic holidays in this wonderful area. In February the weather was reasonable. Now it's time to try it in the summer, which will certainly be a unique experience.

Cocoa Beach is a family-friendly destination conveniently located 45 minutes east of Orlando on Florida's Space Coast. This truly is one of the most charming beach towns in the country. It offers the perfect combination of warm sun, gentle sea waves and natural habitats

Great beach, great sand, great walking, great swimming. We got dropped off at the Ron Jon surf shop and walked down the road from there to the beach area. If going this way you will find a public parking area with a changing place. It has bathrooms, place to change and a foot wash area. We enjoyed several hours on the beach with swimming, walking and just hanging out. Make sure to check out the sandbar when you leave. It is a bar/restaurant not too far from the public parking that has great food and drinks.

My family and I parked at the Shepard Park on Feb. 6, 2020. They have a digital system where you enter your credit card and parking spot. My husband tried it 4 times and thought he paid 4 times. Nothing printed out, but he thought he must be covered. Turns out, after our couple hours in the water that a citation was left for us for $38 parking violation! There was NO ONE to ask questions to and I saw others struggle with the same thing we did. We found a cop and asked him about it, but he just shrugged and didn't know. Not like he could help us at that point, but it's really frustrating. I still don't know what happens so you know it went through. No one had anything on the dash of their cars and maybe we just picked one that didn't work. I contacted the police department after we got back and got a nice response from them saying maybe they could work with us on fees, but I never heard back and the fee went up to $48. It's really frustrating and I don't want others to have the same trouble. Maybe try another machine if one isn't working or you aren't sure???? I really have no answer for you. The beach itself was fine. It was really windy the day we were there and the sand was pelting us, but we were just happy to have sun after months of cold in Minnesota. Next time I think we'd try Clearwater on the other side of Florida.

Great beach, parking a little hard to find but doable. Pier has multiple restaurants, bars, and amenities in beach.
During our visit pier area was fairly crowders but still enjoyable. Pier offers free shade on beach if your looking for some.
About 1 hour drive from Orlando.

Stayed a couple days on Coco beach before our cruise. A little sun, surf and sand was the perfect way to start our vacation. Beach is clean and beautiful! Lots of shells after high tide. Great place to watch rocket launch from Port Canaveral!

Great place for a family or friends vacation. Clean beaches, friendly smiles, many dining options, great services and some of the best things to do in a beautiful wildlife area.

Visited beach with my dog as she'd never experienced the ocean. Parts of Cocoa Beach allow dogs. It did not specify dog must be on leash, my dog was. Sand was clean and easy to walk on. Nice small shells to collect. We entered thru park that feaured "I Dream of Jeannie" street. Well kept park with multiple accesses to beach. There was a really nice dog park there I'd recommend visiting.

Cocoa Neach as a whole is i viting, soothing and a great mental depart from our norm. We love it all from the pier to Ron Jon's. Shopping is close and abundant and eating is a delight.

Great view of Cocoa Beach. Hadn't been there in awhile and was pleasantly surprised with the remodel. Now I can take visitors!! Would have gave excellent rating but they had a one man band that was playing extremely loud! Request volume be turned down so we didn't have to yell but they didn't. Otherwise great place, waiter had good customer service. Drinks and appetizers where good..

We are over from the uk for our yearly vacation to Florida I find it an absolutely disgrace !!! We visited Ron Jones shop as we came out of Ron Jon’s there is. A shop called Key lime pie outdoor of the shop there was a man advertised through the shop with a live crocodile taped up outside the shop on the sidewalk ,with no water just looked barely Alive asking for a dollar to have it photographed by customers using the shop it is so cruel that this is allowed not only by the shop but by cocoa beach it self I’m surprised that this cruelty is allowed in th USA someone should be arrested by the animal welfare bodies !!!!

Been coming here for years. Tons of access depending on what you’re here for. Worth a visit for sure.

Visited on a Monday and Wednesday in May, beautiful beach with strong waves and great overall peaceful atmosphere. Not crowded and so convenient to have chair and umbrella rentals right at Lori Wilson park. The sand is not as white as Miami or other South destinations but the darker sand gave it it's own special charm. We did not eat at RikiTiki tavern as it was too busy but the views from there are spectacular.

Fun relaxing fabulous beach lots of restaurants to choose from.bars on the pier great place to watch sunsets

A very nice area, both clean and peaceful, some very nice seafood restaurants out on the cove. Beach was clean and low waves for younger beach goers.

January 25th was 70 degrees. 40 degrees warmer than were I live. So was great to be in the sun and just relax on beach for a while. You can tell the natives in January - they have winter coats on. And those from Canada are in Bikini's. Shells are fun to collect. Free parking NE of Ron Jon's Surf shop and there is a park station where with bathrooms, a place to change clothes, rinse sand off feet or take a shower rinse. 7 eleven not to far away if you need some beverages or sandwich. Love this place.

Very clean and well stocked 2/2 ocean facing unit. Close walking distance to the pier and nice 8 foot deep pool. Super comfy beds. Would stay again.

Awesome day spent at the beach! Really enjoyed our day. The waves were great for body surfing that the kids enjoyed alot.

We enjoyed a day at the beach. The pier was pleasant, people friendly, and the waters enjoyable. The life guards were vigilant even banning swimming due to shark sightings on a couple occasions. The beach was clean and the area was nice.

Walked here from the Ron Jon Surf shop to spend a few hours playing in the sand. We visited on an overcast day in November so we didn't do much swimming. The waves were very rough for my 7 year old so I don't think she was ever able to go in past her knees. We did appreciate that the beach was free, staffed by a lifeguard, and very clean. Would love to visit again in the summer!

Beautiful and clean beach with plenty of restaurant options nearby, especially near the pier. It was chilly and quite windy, but we also visited in March, so to be expected for the time of year. Highly recommended!

Do not come to this beach if you want personality and sense of humor. Every store and restaurant are the rudest people I have encountered on any trip I’ve been on. Zero personality in this town. It’s like they hate tourists in this town. Think twice about going to Cocoa Beach if you like to interact with people.

Can not fault this place. A great trip ! Very clean and very well maintained. Changing rooms available also.

The roads to get to the beach are very narrow, but once you find it, it’s very pretty. Nice white sand and it’s clean. The showers are still blocked off due to Covid 19, but the beach was open. Parking was $20.

My first visit to this barrier island community, it is becoming a favorite. The beaches are pristine. The people are nice. The streets and parking lots are clean. All service workers I’ve met are friendly. Publix market, drug stores all close by. Plenty of good restaurants. I feel safe here. I’ve already made my reservation for February 2021.

Known for reliable waves of a decent size and a loooong sandy beach we were not disappointed. We walked the beach for miles and came across only 1 discarded (lost?) plastic cup and 1 cigarette butt. There were no 'venues' along our stretch of the beach so we had to step a block or two inland to find anything that didn't resemble a beach or a wave.

Beautiful beach with good fishing. Weather was not great but no control over that.
Taking morning walks on the beach started my day.

The local staff of the restaurant on the pier and the tourist travel info booth were exceptionally helpful and informative! The food in the dining room was excellent! Grouper sandwich is a must have!

Westgate brought the pier out of scanksville but then they overprice parking... that’s a turn off. The place is nice.

Nice clean beach town. Friendly and affordable. Soft sand and clean beach. Make sure you get a room with the view of the ocean and not the strip.

Arrived late in the day, just before Pier was closing, and thus didn't try any of the bars or food. But the pier is really nice. Parking for Pier ok. Beach is nice. If you are on the Space Coast, the Pier is a must visit.

Hotel staff amazing! LaQuinta. Use for cruise travel and they have been great. Third time here for a night. Obnoxious store clerk Alvin’s, breakfast mess up at Denny’s, and townies who think that they own the sidewalks with bikes. Really the millennial woman riding to yoga going to run us over as we were on the sidewalk, walking. Then proceeded to yell “visitors”. Guess she doesn’t like the tax break she gets for all the visitors. Oh, sidewalks are for pedestrians. Beaches are ok. Not a place I would stay for more than a day.

Clean and not crowded. What else do you need for a perfect beach day. Chairs and umbrellas to rent but not necessary.

Our trip to Cocoa beach was disappointing to say the least. The hotels seemed old and ran down. Maybe a few good ones but slim picking. The pier was very crowded, food and drinks were expensive. We didn't get past a couple hundred feet on the pier because it was packed and all the restaurants were full. seems like an old town to me with very little to do. There were a couple things we enjoyed, We got to see a manned rocket launch which was pretty cool to see, and it was fun watching the local surfers. We also made a trip across town to NASA which was also nice.

fantastic beach we drove in from Orlando found a little street leading to beach public admitted no parking fee short walk to beach practically alone there wide sandy clean beaches great waves fantastic find
this time of year [Sept] no crowds

It’s a shame that the city is changing 2.50 an hour to park and the park and beach facilities need work. Come on Cocoa bring the quality of your facilities up to par for the money your now charging for parking.

Beautiful beach location, clean sand, clean water & places to get a snack or drink. We had a great day renting a umbrella and chairs for only 20 buck in front of La Quinta.

Nice hotel, great location, I’ve been to better resorts. It’s clean and ok, rooms are small, older decoration. Needs updating .

The beach was very clean, the pier was closed to all fishing. $10 all day parking.
Fished from shore didn’t catch anything.

We love visiting Cocoa Beach. We find that the beach is clean and everyone we meet is friendly. We were happy that there were plenty of umbrellas and beach chairs to rent at a reasonable price. It is a wonderful beach.

It is an extremely quiet place, very very peaceful, perfect to walk and eat on the super lit streets, nice safe and clean

One of the closer beaches from Orlando area, it was a nice day trip to the sand and ocean. By the public entrance, there was plenty of parking when we went. Water had some waves and nice sand of the kids. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for the day as well for $30. There really isnt much shady areas so bring your own umbrella or just rent it.

This beach was fun to stroll- waves seem great for surfers and temperature of water wasn’t so cold- but maybe because of the season.
I saw tremendous numbers of jellyfish’s (bluish balloon looking) on shore line and beach. So swimmers, be careful. I asked a staff at the pier, that is very stingy and hurt when stings. No fun... I have experienced (not here) and it’s’ not great at all after that. So be careful.

Beautiful beach visiting in the morning very quiet and clean kids enjoyed playing in the wake and sand.

This beach water wasn’t too cold. Not too many people. The beach has a bar & many shops area the beach. Lots & lots of seashells on the beach. This beach had soft sand to walk on. We enjoy this beach a lot.

It was sad to see all the seaweed in the water and piled on the beach for the week
Sad the city didn’t even clean it up it sat there all week how sad
Definitely the west side of Florida is nicer

This is an amazing beach, one of the best we have seen along the Florida coast.
Whilst we were in the area, SpaceX launched Falcon 9 during the early hours of the morning and we watched the launch from the beach which was so magical and something we unexpected to see whilst we was in the area.
This beach is a definite go to.

Very nice beach within an hour of Orlando. Nice drive there as well. We found the beach clean. So much fun jumping in the waves.

Beautiful beach, great surfing and very well organized and maintained beach area/services. Easy to get to Kennedy Space Center

Second time at Cocoa Beach and again left thinking “meh”. The beach itself is fine but to me, seemed pretty bland. Parts of town that we saw had some shotty stores and chain restaurants. The Pier needs a complete overhaul.
If it’s the closest beach for you, surely enjoyable enough to spend the day. But don’t think I’d ever suggest a vacation here.

Absoltutely a must visit. Take a walk down the pier to the tiki bar and enjoy a nice adult beverage and ehe scenery. Temperature is usually a bit cooler down there so it makes it worth the journey. Sometimes they have live music, but this trip it was just music over the speakers that wasn’t blaring so you could enjoy the ambiance. When we went on Saturday, Tina took care of us and was an absolute rockstar handling our drinks and nachos. She was very friendly and had fast service. Never a disappointment!

We enjoyed our short visit to this beach. We walked part of it didn’t realize before coming just how big it is. Awesome. There was a lot going on at the beach but it was not crowded at all. The sand was soft and we collected many shells while walking. We felt safe and the water was a great temperature. Didn’t swim just walked in water. There was a life guard in one section we walked which is great for families. We hope to return and spend more time..

Love cocoa beach. New sidewalks nice need to work on street crossings. Takes forever to cross. More things are open now .

We were hear 9-19. It is a very beautiful beach to visit. It is a very clean area. The beach isn't dirty. The sand was nice & soft. I recommend visiting Cocoa Beach. We had a great time.

Not a very nice beach. Water was sandy and dirty looking, There are a lot of much nicer places to visit than here

What a lovely beach! We went to Cocoa Beach for an overnight stay mid-week before Memorial Day, so it was not very crowded. The beach itself is wide and deep, perfect for strolling along and playing with the waves. And, if you're game, a good spot to try out surfing in the milder waves. The town itself is pretty laid back. The big shopping area is in and next to Ron Jon's, two stories high with a water feature in the middle and miles of beach-related stuff--including surfboards-- to buy. Staff here is super helpful and though some prices felt high, there were sale racks! Across the street from Ron Jon's is more shopping. We liked the proximity of Cocoa Beach to Cape Canaveral which has a nice selection of port-side restaurants just a short drive away. And we liked the short drive to the NASA Visitor Center. There's more to do here than a one-night stay can accommodate, so we'll be back when we can.

We stopped for a beach visit and it was a huge Long Beach. Very cold the day we were there but still worth seeing.
Many cruise ships parked offshore.

Came here for 4th of July, great beach with plenty of space to social distance, life guards and chair/ umbrella rentals easy available.

I went to cocoa beach together with my daughter yesterday and after 30 minutes had to get out of the water, covered in disgusting, sticky brown algae which seemed to be everywhere in high concentration in the water. After getting into the water at the nice looking beach I understood why the water seemed to have a rusty red color near the beach. It took us more than an hour under showers, lots of shampoo and conditioner to get the slimy algae pieces off our bodies and hair. Not sure if this algae is toxic but it sure is disgusting to take a bath in, it feels like you are swimming in plants... Will definitely not come back here since news reports already from July suggest that this is not a one time issue...

The only sharing I can do is keep everyone away from your efforts taking advantage of charging fees we had to pay and never got anything in return....

Seaweed everywhere. Washed-up hippie scene and rednecks everywhere. I arrived here for a brief stay and was disappointed by the atmosphere, food, and beach that was covered in seaweed for MILES. The hotels didn't even try to clean the beaches (which is shocking). That alone is terrible for tourism. I will never return here.

Took the kids multiple days, both to the pier and down farther. Down at the pier there’s restaurants, and a couple of shops, pay for parking in the lot right out front. There are also public beach entrances all down Ridgewood Drive, some u paid for some not (there’s an app to download and pay). If you’re going for a launch at the space center you have a pretty good view from here, anywhere along the space coast really. It’s a MUST to visit.

This beach at least for this time of year was disappointing, the water is muddy and murky, covered in dried seaweed so ur limited where u can enjoy, no public bathrooms which is a big deal for me. I would not recommend

Fun surf town. We walked around the beach and Pier; I gathered shells and enjoyed the surf.
We grabbed some delicious food at Thai Thai.

the cops and parking cops are real d_i_C_ks. move on, dont stay in CoCO beach. Lots of other friendly places to stay and play.

The day we were there, the waves were gentle, the water pleasant, the beach clean, and there were a variety of seabirds, sea shells...great place for a long walk.

We have found the people are friendly and the beach is safer for the kids as I don't have to watch for cars. Great surfing and plenty of food near by.

Parks are so exciting, especially for the kids. But after 9 days, I longed for a long walk on a flat beach, searching for shells, freshly marooned by the waves on the beach. Cocoa Beach was the perfect place to escape. We parked our car near a church, crossed a pedestrian bridge to the beach and saw a lone surfer, riding the waves. As it was mid- morning, the tide was out, the beach was deserted and the shells called to me.
This was the beauty and solitude I remembered from visiting my parents years earlier, when they lived in Barefoot Bay. I looked heavenward, told them I was back, and took a walk on the beach in their memory. It was their favorite thing to do. Along the way, seashells beckoned to me. So many different colors, shapes, hues - nothing enormous or unique, but each special in their own way.
Nothing beats the sound of ocean waves, the soft, warm sand on your toes, tiny birds dancing with the waves, and finding seashells on a lonely beach to rejuvenate the spirit.
Tomorrow - another day at the parks...... Stay tuned!

Lovely vast sandy beach with plenty of space to spread out along the shore. Sea was a little rough but that’s what the surfers love!! There were a few out there having a great time. Surfing lessons are available nearer the pier. Lots of places to pop into for drinks or a bite to eat.

I expected to like Cocoa Beach but not as much as I liked the Gulf Coast beaches. To my surprise, I like Cocoa Beach at least as much. It is laid back, not as crowded, with lots of activities. It’s also very convenient to set to Orlando, Daytona Beach , or St Augustine-to name a few

If you have an RV or a pet Cocoa Beach is extremely inconvenient not many places to park and they are definately not dog friendly. There are places on the beach before and after cocoa a lot friendlier. Same Beach same beauty but a lot more convenient!!!

I brought my best friend here for her bday and she loved it. Craig was the best and he deserves a cruise!! Thank you for the best time Craig!!

We have eaten at Luna a few times and have added it to our favorites. The restaurant is cozy but not fussy. The people are warm, knowledgeable and friendly.
The menu presents a creative selection of dishes which are presented beautifully. The food is delicious and a treat for the eyes. The accompanying sides live up to the quality and flavor of the entrees. I would like to see the wine list expanded but we never had trouble making a selection.
We have gladly added Luna to our list of special eateries.

Only an hour from Orlando if the traffic is kind, to get away from the parks for a day head to the beach. Boardwalk and pier with shops, food and drink with an end of pier tiki bar. Chairs and umbrellas to hire, close to toilets and a fully surf life guarded beach.

This is our fourth year holidaying in Cocoa Beach after 10 years on the Gulf side from Treasure Island to Venice. It was great there but becoming too busy and expensive. Here we can stay at an oceanfront condo for two months for the equivalent cost of one month on the Gulf. This area is also quite once you step way from A1Aand even then I can ride my bike on the bike lane from Port Canaveral to Melbourne Beach and yell at only a few cars to get out of my lane. You can walk on the beach for the same distance obviously driving to one of the many parks along the way to try new sections. I also love kayaking the Thousand Island park starting from Ramp Road Park and doing it on your own or going on a group kayak tour to see waterfowl,
flying fish and dolphins and manatee all of which I have seen myself.
For food lovers like ourselves you can walk to great restaurants or drive short distances. Many restaurants have water views too.
We are bringing our grandkids for a visit too.

The beach is clean and people are friendly. It isn't rocky and the seashells aren't huge so it doesn't cut your feet. However, the sand is very hot so you do need sandals.

With the dark colored sand, I can see why they call it Cocoa Beach. We were there at the end of January so the beach wasn’t too crowded and the water was fairly cool. Lots of small shells for anyone who wants to collect a few. We noticed a couple of Man of Wars had washed up on the beach so you might want to make sure to keep an eye on small kids so they don’t go poking at them. Lots of people fish here and we saw someone catch a Bonnethead shark. Overall, a nice beach to walk along and watch the waves come crashing in.

While Coco Beach is a really nice, clean and family friendly beach, Do Not Rent Beach Chairs and Umbrellas Esp. coming off an MSC cruise who got us to FL at 2pm. So by the time we got settled on the beach at 3pm this only gave us an hr to sit and relax on a beach chair with an umbrella that we paid for $30. Just to get it taken from us an hr. later because the guy wanted to close shop early at 4pm. He did this to about 40-50 people in the whole beach area! So be warned if you come later in the day Do Not Rent from the beach chair rentals! Heck don't rent from them at all! What a scam! They could decide to close shop at noon because they need an afternoon sesta!

We found this little place while traveling through Cocoa Beach and were quite pleased. It’s a little restaurant but it was clean and bright, the service was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the house-made salmon cakes, which were made with chunks of salmon and were moist and delicious! We finished our lunch with Pina Colada cheesecake and it was also very good!

Rent a car! We are a family of 4 and wasted hundreds of dollars having to upgrade to an Uber XL due to covid and no one allowed to sit in the front seat. Also, not many uber or lyft drivers so it was a crap shoot to find a ride anywhere including taxis. Very frustrating.

We love staying at this hotel! It is right on the beach. There are also 2 pools, which are great. Breakfast is always good. Rooms are spacious. Suites include a full kitchen. The location within the city is great.

Sharks and beach not that well maintained. Some trash...very little.
They do a good job overall. Life Guards totally on it and flag system with warnings are great. Cool hot dog and ice cream stand right there. Reasonable. #seawatertravel

Great shops! Coconuts On The Beach Best place!🏝 super good food, drinks, and service! Great destination! Not nearly as busy as Orlando, nice get-away!

Cocoa Beach is the best beach for your family to visit. It has lots to do .Great beach, could use more restaurants.

Although I was impressed by the beach and the area around it 4 stars, I was a little disappointed with fishing at the pier. Unless you get to the very end at low tide, you are only going to be fishing in about 3 feet of water. Surfers were so close that you couldn't cast your line out. I caught only 1 small fish. Recommend always fishing at high tide and at a time when less surfers would be out.

We visited Cocoa Beach one day in late August and would highly recommend! It’s clean, has fun rolling waves for kids and beautiful sand. The pier is great for restrooms, snacks and anything you may have forgotten to bring with you. Also recommend renting beach gear from A1A Beach Rentals on your way to the beach. Would definitely go again.

A beautiful beach on the Atlantic coast of Florida with impressive high waves. Many beautiful seabirds were also visible.

Great beaches. Great seafood. Ron Jon, Rock the Guac, I dream of yogurt all in the same area. All a most visit. Grills, Florida Fresh grill are great place to get seafood.
L

We have been visiting the Pier for over 30 years has had a lot of changes due to the latest hurricane the transformation it is at it’s best now. Sorry I did not have the time or tides to rent a rod to do some fishing but had a lovely lunch.

Was a little underwhelmed by this beach and place when we visited on Friday. There is not a lot to do, the pier is small with just a few restaurants on it. There are a number of volleyball courts that were not that busy when we were there, but bring your own ball otherwise it costs $5 per hour to hire one!.
Beach is nice and clean, and there is plenty of space to choose from, and the sea is warm once you get past the initial dip. The only issue really was the amount of seaweed coating the high tide area, and in the sea, though this lessened as the tide went out.
I did think there would be more bars and atmosphere around the pier area, we did end up walking a few hundred yards inland to find a decent lunch alternative as the pier seemed overpriced.
There is also a decent gift shop near the base of the pier, and plenty of parking up and down the coast (we parked in Alan shephard park about a mile down the coast) including a large car park at the pier itself for $30 per day - which is not on the Cocoa Beach website.
We travelled from Davenport, Florida, so it took the best part of 5 hours in the car there and back (including the I-4 traffic), and I kinda wish we had gone to the other coast at Clearwater or somewhere similar, as Cocoa Beach was not memorable. Glad it was sunny and hot at least!

I really enjoyed Cocoa Beach. It has surfing and if you don't like to surf you can loll around in the sand like a saw a lot of people doing. A very nice walk along the beach and the pier has a lot of restaurant and bar options.

But worth it! The beach was not crowded so you were not cramped. Nice waves but not much in the way of shelling. Beach was clean. Fun in the sun.

Clean beach, safe- family oriented beach. Hotels along the beach front. No lifeguards during the winter month...watch out for sharks!

I will say we enjoyed our visit, but of course you are in a tourist area and our treated so. We actually live in a tourist town, but at least there you aren't targeted by the city parking police. 6 mins over in your parking spot will cost you $53. Obviously a big way to bring more $ into this town. Especially when all the other spots were empty.

This a very good place to learn to surf! It takes maybe an hour of your time. Lot of fun in a si for place. Mahalo and Thanks, Taylor!

Beautiful Beach!! Great place to hunt sea shells! The kids enjoyed riding the waves and digging for sand crabs. Recommend staying at a VRBO that has beach accessories available for use otherwise renting will get expensive!

The experience was 5 stars until we saw a TURD swimming in ocean we got out of the water and it came to shore and a teenage girl started to PLAY with it.🤨

We arrived in Port Canaveral by cruise ship and took an Uber to Cocoa Beach. It was about a 20 minute ride and cost about $25 including fuel surcharge. We entered the beach via Minutemen Causeway. There were some shops and restaurants in the area. Coconuts on the Beach was a nice restaurant with good food and drinks. We walked right from the beach, grabbed some sandwiches and drinks, then returned to the beach.

We spent a week walking and biking Cocoa Beach thanks to the numerous trails and lanes. We were able to stay off of the main drag and found it easy (and safe) to get around!

The beach is very clean and not crowded. There are chairs and umbrellas you can rent. There is also a lifeguard.

We spent a lot of time on this beach as our rental was very close. It is wide and you can walk a really long way on it. It wasn’t too busy in February. There were surf fishing people as well as surfers and kids playing in the waves. It was a bit cold for us but we waded in. A nice beach to walk or sit and watch the water. There were lots of birds too. We were able to see a space rocket launch one night while there as it is near the space center. We walked to the pier some days and one day to port area along the beach.

Not as pretty as the beaches on the Gulf of America side of Florida but not near as busy either. Water is cold in January but sun is still nice and warm.

It was so great for my 11 yo daughter to be able to surf this world-famous beach. The waves were just right and it was a welcomed change for her to be able to walk her board out versus having to swim to the far waves forming. It was also great to have other surfers around with whom she could surf, but my favorite part was the lifeguard shack within yards. They were super attentive, and called everyone out of the water for 30 mins with a shark sighting, which was comforting. The sand is clean and powdery and there are free umbrellas and chairs available. Downside, one must don a mask just to use the restrooms. Great food and shops available right on the pier. It was a great time experiencing this historic site. Parking was $10 and the travel company will pounce on you walking onto the beach to try to sell you a timeshare, but they're friendly enough to wave off. Parking shack attendant was friendly as well. If you get there early you might score a spot on the road for $2.50/hr, which is cheaper if you're not staying long. There are also boards for rent, but we rented one from Ron Jon.

One of the nicest beaches in Brevard County, Florida. Parking and restaurants are both close by. A long Pier is at the beach that has a 24 hour live Cam.

We were staying in Orlando and came here for the day. We parked near the Hilton and paid $1/hr. The view was great. It didn't seem like there was a lot to do overall. Things are pretty basic, but if you are looking at just laying on the beach this works.

Always a good beach to go to as they do not allow driving on the beach. Depending on when you go parking can be a challenge but there are so many different places to find to park within a short walk of the beach.

We loved our visit here. The part of the beach we were on was busy but not crowded. We managed to get near a bar which was great. One thing I would recommend is make sure you keep your sandals close because the sand is scorching hot in the afternoon!

Nice beaches here. It can be crowded at times but not so bad you can't find a place to hang out. Park at Cocoa Beach Surf shop garage (go buy something!) and walk across the street to the beach. Keep away from the pier because that is where the sharks hangout when people are fishing. As with any beach in Florida, GO IN THE MORNING! It will be cooler and less crowded. By the time you've had enough the beach will be filling up so you can then grab lunch.

Great place to get away from the hustle & bustle. Surfing, kite boarding, paddle boarding, biking, swimming and eating are just the highlights of what is possible.

Cocoa Beach has a nice mix of attractions and restaurants with the beach. Several hotels have conference and meeting room spaces for business and conference/exposition use.

The family was only here for one day. The beach was nice like any other beach. Was a bit crowded, but the surf was calm and the tide was way out. Nice visit.

This beach was great! My husband & I went with 5 teenagers and my mother-in-law. The beach was clean, the water was beautiful and the atmosphere was family friendly. We parked at Shepard Park, which had men’s & women’s restrooms, and outdoor showers to rinse off at. We were also able to rent chairs and an umbrella for a reasonable price.

Grandkids (6 and 3) loved playing in the surf and digging in the sand! We rented an umbrella and two chairs which made the beach an enjoyable experience for the grownups!

My family had a great week in Cocoa Beach. The waves are just challenging enough to keep my teenagers happily entertained for hours with boogie boards as well as an awesome surf lesson from Todd at School of Surf. It was windy and having wetsuits kept everyone warm, but we could go in the water without them. After long days at the beach everyone was hungry and slept well. Perfect fun vacation.

Super nice white beach with a great pier to relax and eat.
The sea is unfortunately not as clear as thought, yet fantastic

Water wasn't clear or blue like Miami and the Keys. No real waves to surf though people were trying. You can body board a bit though in the short area where the waves break close to the beach. If you are looking for clear, blue water you won't find it here.

Great beach, not crowded. Loved being able to see the cruise ships and got to see Space X take off. That was amazing

The beach was not as crowded as I expected. We went in the evenings and there was plenty of room to spread out. It got busier during the rocket launch, which could be viewed just fine from the beach. The water was warmer than expected. Very nice to play in bc of the temp and the good amount of shallow water. Saw diving pelicans. Also a great place to collect nice seashells. We all really enjoyed ourselves there.

My husband and myself had such a wonderful time at cocoa beach. It was very hot and water was amazing, so clean and many people to enjoy it with

Dark brown sand, dirty water, high surf, and no beach when the tide is high. At least that is the way it was when we were there in November 2019. I will however say that we are spoiled from traveling parts of the Pacific and most all of the Caribbean and Bahamas, The Bahamas outliers are our favorites for the most pristine, powder white, wide beaches with crystal clear waters in all shades of green and blue. There are some nice things to see in the area other than the beach.

Cocoa Beach is beautiful. It has Warm water and lots of waves and Beach was clean. Waves are perfect for surfing. Lots of beach bars right on the beach. Also, you can drink on the beach.

We were in Orlando for the AAU National Gymnastics meet. We didn’t want to do Disney or Universal because it was so hot and busy. We had a short drive to Cocoa Beach and spent a wonderful day there. Our friends had an AirBNB so the beach was private. We could easily see the space center from the beach. The beach wasn’t crowded at all, the water was warm, and the beach was super clean!

We rented surf boards, boogie boards. One shark decided to visit and the water fun was over!
Beach is decent. Littered up by the lazy people. There are trash receptacles around.

Cocoa is a typical Florida beach. Plenty of sun, sand and plenty of space to yourself.
We didn't see any public restrooms. Jolly Chriss.

Great beaches, friendly people, and lots of restaurants and bars to visit. Great vacation spot, and great place to live.

Always beautiful , really great destination, so many convenient restaurants and stores. Never worry about forgetting anything

Plenty of places to eat and buy things and yes the beach. Indoor or outdoor eating and bars.Manager,Tim Allen, yes..wears a red shirt was great on giving me a lot of info on everything. A great place to experience

All my daughter wanted to do was go to the beach. My husband drove her there so she could go in the water. when they returned to our hotel she said she had to get in the shower right away. All it took was one look at her to see she had red stuff in her hair. She has very long blonde hair. She said that the water was full of red stuff floating in it. I asked both of them why they didn't get out and they said because there were people in the water. I was a bit furious because water should not have red stuff floating around in it and they both know better that if it doesn't look right it isn't right. It took over an hour for her to get it out of her hair and off of her body. She had to use a hair brush to get it out. After doing some research it appears it is bad for people who have respiratory issues. All I can say is YUCK. Find a different place to go to the beach. It seems to be red algae that kills fish.

White trash central 101, all it is! Horrible Better derive 2 hours south to west palm or ft lauderdale

We visited Cocoa Beach with a tropical storm looming a day away. The weather was unsettled, raining on and off, and windy. The waves were great and water was warm. This was a great stop in poor weather and would be even better on a sunny day.

Similar opinion as previously posted -
There is NOT a lot to do here besides enjoy the beach. So make sure the weather permits being able to soak up the sand with your toes in the sand. Otherwise, it could be a very boring trip.
Kennedy Space Center is nearby..
And the Zoo in Melbourne is well worth the drive.
Also note: Restaurant choices are limited.

This beach is great. We left our resort in Orlando and headed to the beach. Wasn’t busy at all. Beautiful long area for walking or just sitting. Lots to do in the area as well.

Just OK. Lots of activity if you are interested in a public beach with lots of people. Visited during covid. Temperatures were taken on the pier. Typical public touristy beach.

Had such a good time visiting Cocoa Beach. Vibe was chill. Everyone was friendly. Can't wait to go back.

All I can say is that it is beautiful. It was a very clean beach with an excellent view. You can not stand on this beach and not be happy.

2021 Cocoa Beach Air Show: Good to see the return of a great show to Cocoa Beach after a few years’ absence. We invited another couple to share our “sandbox” which put us right at the center of the action, about 50 feet from the water. The sandbox was our own 12’ x 18’ staked-off area right on the beach. Parking, chairs and porta-potties were provided and concessions were nearby. The beach was open out to about waist-depth and popular with kids.
Being social-distanced from others was also helpful in getting better photos.
The temperature was about 85 when we attended on Saturday April 17, 2021 but we had a nice breeze. When the show started at 11:30 a.m., it was mostly cloudy but lots of blue sky appeared within the first hour of the 210-minute show.
The Thunderbirds debuted their 2021 routine here. This was also the first show of the air-dot-com series which will feature five more shows in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta, New York City and Ocean City MD. Appearances of a B-52, C-17, F-22, B-1 , B-25, as well as the Geico Skytypers and a number of aerobatic aircraft and warbirds from the Valiant Air Command museum in Titusville made for a diverse offering.
Even the emergency ditching of a Grumman TBM Avenger into the surf turned out well, as the pilot walked away unhurt and the airframe was lifted out of about 5’ of water the next day. We didn’t see the accident, as it happened near the free viewing area well south of us but plenty of viewers recorded it and videos appeared on media channels all over the world. The show’s announcer did tell everyone what had just happened.
We watched the second day from our oceanfront balcony but although it wasn’t possible to get the same quality of photos, most of the performances were easily seen. Whether seen from a premium paid seat or a free viewing location, it was a world-class show that attracted huge crowds.

Be advised that pets are not welcome at the Cocoa Beach Pier nor most of the beaches. You have to head south of 4th St S.

Great destination for a relaxing vacation on Florida’s Atlantic coast. Yes, is a tourist destination but it is one you can meld to your own liking - days on the beach playing in the sand and/or enjoying the water- comfortably warm much of the year, or simply walking the soft sand, a wide variety of restaurants - many in walking distance of the hotels and other accommodations, great music in many locations in the evening, fun options for the young and young at heart (miniature golf, the Dinosaur store and exhibit, kyacking etc etc.) and a chance to just relax and enjoy not being in your day to day life.
Check their web site for information on locations and open times of the many seasonal and two year round lifeguard locations.

Love Cocoa Beach. A must visit when we are in Orlando. Beach is beautiful and less crowed than other parts of Cocoa Beach. Beach chairs are available for rent

Beautiful white sandy beach ! We stayed right on the beach by the Cocoa Beach Pier and throughly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to going back soon.

Beautiful beach on the Atlantic side. Some fun things to do. Good restaurants. Not too far from Orlando. A good day trip.

The sun rise was so beautiful! The beach sand was different from other beaches but still nice! There was a man fishing right there on the beach who caught a small hammer head shark RIGHT WHERE WE WERE! Pretty cool!

Was down for the holidays and was right on the beach, so had to explore. It was windy when I took my walk but still beautiful overall. Seaweed existed towards the water but not a considerable amount. Well kept and plenty of life guards visible.

nice, quiet little beach town filled with all possible options to expend a quiet week by the sea in a safe place

Beautiful beach with great surf. Just the perfect width beach.... not too wide not too narrow. Surf was perfect size for boogie boarding and body surfing. There were surfers out but not much surfing going on. There was paid parking close to the beach. Beach rentals were everywhere offering chairs, umbrellas, surf boards, boogie boards, etc. I did not experience and strong currents while I was there. There is a gentle slope in the water (it doesn't just drop off). Sand was nice and soft but easy to walk in. Neat little seaside town adjacent to it.

Beautiful beaches, tons of hotels and must be fun in the summer, but touristy stuff everywhere. The beach seems dirty even in February when not many people on it.

Weather was cool and cloudy with crazy wind up in Ormond Beach so we decided to head south.
Drove down to Cocoa Beach for lunch and a little shopping. Much warmer and brighter. Glad we made the trip.

We found a $10 parking close to beach. Otherwise, the street parking had 90 min limit and we saw parking police checking cars. Each spot on the street is assigned with a number so they would catch you if you overstay. The parking spot we found by luck was right next to the church and the man said all the money goes to church. I thought that was great.
The beach itself was fantastic! Enough people but not too crowded. The waves were high and my teenage son enjoyed bodysurfing. I like to look for shells and I found plenty of good ones! Bring a blanket and a beach umbrella! You’re all set!

Just an average East Coast beach, nothing special... If you have been to any beach on the east coast it's the same.. When in Florida head WEST..

I have been to this beach before and it was so relaxing and beautiful.
This trip, it was far from that. The water was dark brown and extremely nasty. It was slimy and had gross stuff all in it.
I was SOO disappointed!

Beautiful relaxing spot, easy parking at access, farther south wre some nice access points at Indian Harbour too

So much to do in Cocoa Beach area. Swim, surf, snorkel and EAT! Everything is within a 15 minute drive. Every kind of food, but the seafood is best. Try the soup of the day at Jazzy’s. The Sunday brunch at Rising Tides, the scallops at Fat Kahuna and Florida’s Fresh Seafood. Go on a kayak tour with Fins Expeditions and fly in a WWII biplane.

Our family really enjoy beaches and always enjoy Cocoa Beach prior to cruise. Clean, not crowded and laid back. Waves can be really good for boogie boarding. Great beach to walk.

The beach could be much better for tourists if they would do a daily cleanup of the huge mounds of seaweed the accumulates on the beach. I understand that high winds make it worse now than usual, but it is always an issue this time of year. I've heard that they do not remove the seaweed like some other beach communities do because it helps trap sand to build up beaches, etc, but it still looks ans smells gross!

We visited Cocoa Beach on July 4th and had a wonderful time. Unsurprisingly, it was slam packed and super-hot. We had a great time visiting the pier enjoying the water and relaxing on the beach. The nearby parking lot was cash only during the day we visited and we had no cash on hand. There are nearby ATMs and the parking attendant was kind and understanding and let us park and visit the ATM to grab cash for parking. The beach is beautiful and worth a visit, Daytona Beach still takes the prize as my favorite Florida Beach I’ve visited- but Cocoa Beach is beautiful too.

Lovely day on the beach!
We stopped here on a Royal Caribbean cruise - as soon as we got off the trip, we caught a shuttle ($20 per person round trip) that drop us off right at the perfect place - by the beach and a Starbucks!
We rented chairs on the beach - it was $15 per chair for the whole day. It was worth it.
The beach is spotless- gorgeous waters and sands. And there was a bathroom nearby to use.
Getting off where the shuttle dropped us off, there was a shop, but no shopping center that we were expecting from pics - but that was totally fine!!
Great day!!

I couldn't believe how nice the beach was , On my next trip I will pack the bathing suits , I bet it would be a nice area for a Sunrise .

Had a good time playing in the ocean, jumping in the waves and splashing around. One negative was the seaweed was insane. The entire beach was just covered in it. Really needed a good raking.

Very clean beach with life guard on duty.A great beach for snorkeling. We walked about three miles on the beach daily and we also spent some time collecting shells .I like it down there and I shall return during the summer

Since we had a couple of days to spend here prior to cruising, thought there would be more for children to do but nope! Sure, the had putt putt, a dinosaur store and of course, the beach. The Atlantic side is not for us. We prefer the Emerald Coast. Also, there are no good restaurants in regards to steak houses or family dining. No Outback, no Longhorn, no Cracker Barrel, nothing other than fast food or Mexican. Attempted one Mexican and it was horrible. Walked out right after cheese dip! They had a Nasty Burger King and I mean nasty and saw a Wendy's but nothing else unless you went to the pier and ate at seafood restaurants that were overpriced and full of locals or "frequent out of towners".

The waves were good when we were there, there was parking available, the sand was clean, the people were friendly. If you need a break, there is food outlets near by

Been coming here for years and always beautiful!!! We feel safe and the beach has never disappointed us. Hope we get to visit for many years to come. Feels like home to us🏖😉

Great beach to go see.. water was warm.. great place to take family to..so many things to go see..u can spend the whole day and night there..alot of things to go see at the beach and around there..

We visited here on our vacation. This was a nice and welcomed break from the amusement parks.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and thought it would be packed with people. We were pleasantly surprised to find a spot where we were able to get to the beach without having to cram in next to others.
The water was warm and the beach was great.
Parking cost was reasonable.

Great beach for all beach fun. Great for walking too. Lots of shells and sand. There were also activities that you could rent / do.

Where to start?? It was very crowded, and expensive. We paid 20$ for parking. Another $20 to rent an umbrella, which we could only use for a hour or so, then the wind was so strong, the rental company came and pulled all the umbrellas. No close place to use bathroom, or change clothes. There are life guards on duty, so that's a good thing...

This is a very lovely beach which list opened 24 hours! You can simply just go there to relax and think.

If you are traveling in the area of Cocoa Beach and Pier this is a great place to visit. My first visit. Will return. If you stay in the center of city you can walk to almost everything.

Parking is $2.50/hour or $10 for the day. They were very good with safety and anyone entering the pier had to have a temp check and a mask. The little shops were cute, but touristy (and touristy prices), but the staff of the larger shop was awesome! The beach is beautiful and plenty of space for everyone. We loved eating at Riki Tikki Tavern (excellent mahi-mahi tacos!!). We didn't stay long, but it was a nice visit.

The sand was clean, the water warm, the views worthy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cocoa Beach and would recommend it.

Take your pick of activities- free and easy walks on the beach, self or group kayak paddles inand around the mangrove Islands, dolphin watching on tour boats, quiet drinks at beachside tiki bars or full dinners at numerous restaurants from the pier to Minuteman Csy and only 20 minutes from Kennedy Space Center or 65 minutes to Disney.

Always a pleasure to come here. Never disappointed. Great vast beaches for as far as you can see. Good hotels right on the ocean. Great laid back surfer beach vive. Love watching the surfers.

We had never stayed on the space coast so didn’t really have any expectations. Our experience was very nice - quiet beach with fun waves for the kids. Very decent restaurants, and a nice neighborhood Airbnb. We didn’t venture into the commercial district but did drive around to see Cape Canaveral, the Space Force base and cruise ship port. It fit the bill for a quick beach weekend with the kids.

very clean, not many 'campers' on the beach, felt very safe (even at dusk), and the pier is quite nostalgic; ate some delicious salt/vinegar fries at the outdoor restaurant.

We loved this place. Rikki Tiki Tavern was excellent. Food and service superb. The view beautiful! Our server, Ashley W, was so sweet.

This is for EVERYONE who shops at Winn Dixie in Cocoa Beach and who doesn’t want to get FLEECED!
I parked in the Winn Dixie parking lot today across from Ron Jon surf shop in Cocoa Beach. First time here. Cool place. Thot I’d wander across the street first and see that store that I’ve heard so much about for years. Yeah, lots of advertising. Right?? It’s Sat morning. 10:00am. So I wander across the street, head back after maybe 15 mins..,
Here we go….a tow truck screams around the corner. Locks the wheels in his truck, then backs up fast as he sees me, then backs right up and with the truck, locks my wheels. Lifts. Wait. Huh? What did I do??
Is this a joke?? Some guy who was watching a video camera and said I didn’t go into the store FIRST! Huh?? My Intention was to shop after to keep my groceries cold! Huh? He didn’t care. So, who’s right??? Car locked, THUG yelling at me. I should have called the cops. Awful.
What a scam. The result: A $200.00 cash FLEECING. He said I could pay him $200 now or pay the towing co $487 in a hour.
Oh, wait, there was a CASH MACHINE 20 yards in the PARKING LOT. How perfect. Complete set up. PITIFUL. I lose.
Oh, to add insult, there was another toe truck behind this guy, also circling.
This town shoukd be ashamed.
I hope this doesn’t happen again to anyone else.

We went to run the I dream of Jeannie race. The beach was not crowded in October and the water was warm. The surf was rough for a couple of days but glass smooth on our last day. Staying at a resort or hotel with beach access helps keep down the crowds.

Clean and well maintained. We stayed one block away and were able to spend lots of time on the beach!

Lovely day at Cocoa beach. Stopped on the way at the Wizard of Oz museum - 5 mins away. Beach was lovely, sea was so warm and safe to swim in. Collected lots of shells, had fresh fish on the pier and ice cold beers. The huts hire out beach umbrellas and chairs etc but take cash only. We took lots of beach towels and were fine using them. The beach stores both along the pier and behind the beach sell everything you could possibly want or need and offer fabulous customer service. There are bathrooms on the pier as well as in the beach store behind the beach. All were clean and tidy. Drive took us about and hour or so from International drive area, well worth the visit.

Stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, gorgeous sandy beach with sunny skies. Warm Atlantic waters and gorgeous waves, beautiful sunrises and stunning sandy beaches to enjoy

We took a walk along the beach area and it was very clean and lovely. We were there on a quiet day so not sure how crowded it might get. But seemed to have a lot of space. There were places near the Courtyard Hotel to rent chairs and umbrellas.

On the view of Lake Saint Remy sur durole, the coco beach welcomes you in all simplicity with local cuisine, and exceptional meat, come with family, the welcome is very friendly, even dogs are welcome, shaded tables, Taste the kir the uncle, very suitable Awards do not hesitate to come with family!

Beautiful beaches. So clean and quiet. Perfect for families and couples. Love the nature and fauna. Friendly people too. Vintage Pier and nice food.
Great beach!
One of our favorite beaches! So much fun! We spent a whole afternoon there! Lots of room, lifeguard, and so much to do!
