Sunset at Core Creek

By jodibeck1964 |

Sunsets are breathtaking at Core Creek, there are a pair of Bald Eagles that nest on the east side of the water way and it's also favorite respite place for migrating birds. the park is gorgeous year round but it's a truly special experience in the fall as all the trees around Core Creek are colorful fall varieties.

Beautiful Place

By Writersblock15 |

I come here all of the time for peace and tranquility. They have a paved trail to walk, bike, and run. Then there is the dirt trail to hike and for dirt bikes. The lake is big and beautiful with canoe, paddle boat and kayak rentals. There are scenic fishing piers. I have seen weddings in the gazebo and they have a nice memorial for victims of crime. There are plenty of large covered picnic areas that can be reserved for large parties and there is a nice dog park as well. What I like the most about this park is that it tends to be less crowded than Tyler Park which is up the road. Less crowds mean more abundant wildlife. Once a year they have the Dragon Boat races which are fun to watch. If you are lucky, you may spot a Bald Eagle from a nearby nest flying around.

Great bike riding

By Lil C |

We ride bikes in the park and it's a great ride. There are big and small hills plus the cars are very aware of the bikers. We have also walked the trails with our dogs and that's a good time too. The lake has lots to offer as well. We love it most because we live 5 minutes away.

A nice oasis

By lovs2fly2 |

Core Creek Park is situated between Langhorne and Newton Bucks County, Pa. While not having many facilities it does have many picnic pavilions and walking trails.

The lake is the center piece with a boat dock with many types of rentals. Fishing is excellent with the lake stocked with trout two or three times a year. In addition to trout there are many bass to be fished.

A road goes through the park with plenty of parking. Everything is low key here and a perfect place to take the kids for a relaxing picnic.

Everything you could want in your neighborhood park

By Lois B |

So many things to do here. There is a small lake to fish or just row a boat, available lakeside. There is a gazebo to take pictures. Watch but don't feed the geese. Manageable walking and bike paths. Rest rooms are convenient throughout the park as well as picnic pavilions. There is a dog park but it is for members only! Have fun!

Fishing with the Grandkids

By M-F_Trackers |

This was a happen-stance. Bro drops off food for the Poor Pantry n I mention I have the Grandson and we are going fishing the next day. Weather forecast was poor for the next day. We get up next day and thunderstorms 8 hours away. Meet the bro at Core Creek, chase the ducks off the dock, 30 meal worms and 30 sunfish and perch later there are two 😱😜👍 grandkids. We just got a medal. Some snacks and playground and it is time for home. Bathrooms clean. Playground equipment in good shape. Duck poo on the dock it happens.

Free, clean outdoor playground for kids & dogs!

By Leslie F |

We decided to take a stroll after dinner & before a movie. We just followed the blacktop path. Discovered a dog park that we did not know existed. Many people were having picnics & kids were playing on the playground. Bicycles, runners & boat rentals @ $ 15. an hour. Not real big but plenty to so & close to 95 & rt 1

Something for everyone

Beautiful Lake Luxembourg is a lovely place to relax, picnic, rent boats or watch the waterfowl. We enjoy the hiking trails, too!

Great park

By Mesparra |

This is a really beautiful park. I rented a pavilion for my moms birthday and the only thing I did not like is that the floor was dirty with rocks and sticks, we had to sweep it with branches. Other than that we had a great time. It is family oriented park. It has a lake, they have a camping area, they have plenty of parking. It is a really beautiful relaxing park.

Beautiful Park

By Writersblock15 |

There are a few other parks in the area that have better trails and nicer scenery but Core Creek is still worth a visit. They have several large picnic pavilions that can accommdate large parties and is ideal for family reunions and get togethers. The lake is perfect for boating, kayaking, canoeing and they have paddle boats as well.

Great spot for family get togethers

By Justsayin70 |

There are many well kept and nice size pavilions to rent here for family gatherings and beautiful scenery with the lake being there. This is the second time we had a summer family celebration and everything went so well. Plenty of parking and areas for everything from boating, fishing, playgrounds, walking trails, games - lots of fun.

Walking with Nature

By Outdoorsman77 |

This park is fantastic it’s clean well preserved the lake is gorgeous fishing is fantastic you catch bass trout and catfish there’s a dog area it’s a good place to visit with family and stuff for little kids but all in all a great park

Nice park with lots of space and a lake

By Tom K |

This park is within a few miles of our home, and we're been going there for years. It's a nice, large size with rolling hills and a lake - plenty of space for kite flying, etc. Picnic spaces are available and are generally fairly clean, although the park employees do seem to get a bit overwhelmed after a summer weeekend.

Fun but some areas are "iffy"

By Nichols S |

The area is nice. Good trails, but some of the areas were a little "iffy". Not so clean and some rude people. I think I will head to Peace Valley. It's a 1500 acre park just 3 miles from Doylestown.

Nice park

By MeraKi25 |

The park is really nice and has several pavilions for larger groups. The water area is also nice. However, I do agree with another reviewer that it is under-maintained. Mowing was only partially done and there was a lot of very high grass areas. It looked like someone took one swipe on the mower and then just left for the week. It makes it tough to bring dogs because of the ticks lurking in the tall grass...

This is our spot

By Kathleen K |

This isn't the best park I've been to, but we've held a family reunion at this park twice now and it serves its purpose.
The first year we had a pavilion near the playground and near the lake and lots of shade, so everyone was happy. This year no so lucky, but still had plenty of shade.
The first year, close to the bathrooms and no problems. This year, the women's bathroom mysteriously locked then unlocked; thankfully we were within reasonable distance from another bathroom.
Both years the grills provided were great, large enough for us to cook a meal for a lot of people. This year we had a much smaller pavilion, not really enough room for the 70-ish people who showed to sit AND all our food and drinks.
There was a lot of room to play games, run around and have fun. Overall, a fun, memorable and pleasant experience for all.

Good Park

By saturdaydiner |

I ride my bike thru here kind of regularly and it's very pretty, especially in the fall. Some decent trails and nice picnic facilities, and lovely Lake Luxemburg.

Wonderful escape

By Kreative-Thinking |

This beautifully maintained Park is a wonderful place to take a mini escape from the city with outstanding spaces for picnics, boating, playgrounds, dogs, tennis and more. The only caution is the roads are a bit narrow for bikers along side cars. A network of bike lanes and bike trails would be a fantastic addition

Relaxing Kayak Rental

By RedWingJoe |

We were visiting relatives in Pennsylvania and stopped at nearby Core Creek Park intending to rent a paddle boat since it was such a beautiful Sunday afternoon. All the paddle boats were already rented, so we got a kayak for the two of us instead. In retrospect, I'm glad we did, because the kayaks and canoes could go a lot faster than the paddle boats, so that gave us greater range to explore more of the lake. Rental for an hour was a few dollars more than just a half hour, but it's a big lake, so I recommend an hour at least. Lots of boats on the water, and the lake was very nice. We saw more than a few people fishing, but we didn't see anyone actually catch a fish. There are bike/walking trails, so next time we will bring our bikes. This would be a great place for a family picnic, and lots of people took advantage of the great weekend weather to do just that. Lots of parties going on throughout the park. Parking was pretty tight. We found a spot near the boat house just as somebody pulled out, but others parked on the grass. Vending machines located on the side of the building sold over-priced drinks, but you could bring your own food/drinks to save money. Ice cream truck arrived just as we returned our kayak, so that was a nice treat after paddling around for an hour. Bathrooms were located over the hill and were typical of most public park bathrooms (i.e. nasty, smelly, but functional). All in all, a very pleasant visit.

Mixed review

By Steve B |

This is a nice park but it's under maintained. The boat ramp is great and my son want s to always go rent a paddleboat or canoe. (not free)

The dog park (also not free) is excellent and the dogs are all fenced together and off leash. There is a big dog and small dog park.

They need help with the soccer fields. I have been here many times and the grass is entirely to long for soccer. The grass is so long that I have had ticks on my kids and my dogs. The soccer clubs are prohibited from mowing themselves (by the county).

Too much mowed areas

By terrifina |

This park is some kind of hybrid between what you'd expect from a "community" park and manicured business park grounds. It does have a walking trail and a waterbody, but it is more like a huge mowed lawn than a park. Very little visual interest, but great frisbee field.

A walk in the park

By Frances G |

Very peaceful and calming. The lake is so calm and the animals are so charming, deer, squirrels, rabbits and birds. Just so relaxing for a nice walk in the park

Awesome

By Robert G |

A jewel not to be missed. Great walking trails. Lots of space, vistas and stream. Play areas for kids.

Lovely spot, has different entrances

By jenjimlef |

My family has been going here for about 6 years, shortly after moving to the area. My sons like to take sandwiches, preferably from Leonardo's in Feasterville on Bustleton Pike, rent a boat and paddle around, or fish from the side opposite the boat rentals. There are tennis courts and a few trails, on the boat rental side they are paved, opposite some are not paved. Baseball fields on that side, so sometimes you might come and it could look busy, but turns out the fishing spots (license needed) or trails are not. One of my friends rented a pavilion area to have her daughter's birthday one year, and it was quite pleasant and clean. It is the type of park that is meant to be used, and not mainly for wildlife and wildlife viewing, although you may get lucky! There is a dog park, which I have never used for my dog, as I just walk him on the leash there, but it does have an application and fairly low priced yearly user fees. They also have tennis lessons for a fee at their location.

What a beautiful park!

By Kathleen978 |

A beautiful gem in Bucks County. Great place for hiking and relaxing. Covered picnic areas and benches.

Core Creek Park

By PABuckeyeFans |

Family or friends will enjoy hiking, bicyling, canoeing or picnics. Our group had Pavillion #5 for a cook-out. The drizzle didn't dampen out event.

A Reasonably Successful Man-Made Compromise

By TommyBoy94 |

I understand from old-timers here that Core Creek Park is a man-made lake-dominated park whose construction was part of a compromise in return for developing much of the Langhborne area. I am told that 40 or 50 years ago, this town and the environs were part of a more rural scene. Still and all, Core Creek is a good place for walking, birding, picnics, running your dog, cook-outs and boating. It's much more interesting to travel a ways over to Tyler State Park, but Core Creek is not bad. There is an annual Indian pow-wow here with dancing, singing, chanting, colorful costumes crafts and food hosted by a tribe that was local to the area. There were some local Eagles in the park a few years back but I haven't seen them in a while. Considering the smallish size of Core Creek, there is a relatively large Deer population.

Nice and quiet

By Patricia R |

It was very quiet, great place to take a stroll without a lot of kids running around. It is also very safe.

Beautiful as always!

By ghostwriter1 |

Great vibe -great park. Always a good hike if you want a quick escape without traveling too far from home!

Great park!

By Susan L |

Our family books a pavilion at Core Creek each year for Mothers Day. Its a beautiful park, with a playground, lots of open space and ball fields. Also has a lake where you can fish, or rent canoes and paddle boats. The parks dept does a good job of keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked.

beautiful relaxing place

By Nilesh A |

this park has beautiful views of lake and so many things to do or relax. boating, biking, playing basketball, baseball or simply have a picnic with friends

Lovely park around the lake.

By podrozniczka60 |

This area is great for a half a day family hike. I am sure during the warmer time of the year Core Creek Park has so much more to offer but in February it lends itself mainly to relaxing walking and biking. The park surrounds Lake Luxembourg, which was formed by a dam on Core Creek. There are roofed park pavilions for picnicking. Slightly rolling hills and beautiful landscape.

great to walk!

By WeTravel4850 |

Nice paths to walk - great dog park if you pre register - lake for canoeing and fishing.

Place was disgusting.

By cole0327 |

I was very upset when I took my 2 small children to core creek park yesterday. We first walked over to the bathrooms and the grass was calf high and not only hard to walk through but very hard to push my stroller through. When we got to the bathroom there was NO TOILET PAPER and the bathroom was absolutely discussing. There was mud everywhere and used tampons on the ground and the doors didn't lock. I could not believe a park bathroom looked the way it did. There needs to be someone who cleans them OFTEN. If my 3 year old daughter didn't have to go so bad we would have never used those bathrooms but I didn't want her to have an accident. Then we walked over to the playground. I went to put my 7month old son in the baby swing n BOTH were covered in bird poop. I understand that's nature but again there should be someone there to check things out. I never write a review on a place so for me to take this time to write must mean how disappointing our trip to core creek park was and we won't be returning.

Love this park

By markjshap |

Really outstanding park with something for everyone. Want to just sit on a bench and commune with nature? Lots of great spots to do so. Want to rent a kayak and go out on the lake? Visit the boat house. Family event/BBQ? Picnic tables in the woods or you can reserve a pavillion. Like hiking? Lots of well maintained trails to get in a pleasant nature walk. Wildlife? Frequently see deer, good for birdwatching. Young kids? Playgrounds are available. Potty break? Plenty of well maintained bathrooms sprinkled (pun intended) throughout the park. Overall, just a great place to hang out solo or with friends and family. Closes at sunset.

Beautiful park

By DKitchenman |

Beautiful scenery to host a picnic, reserve a pavillion, rent a kayak or canoe. Play basket ball or fish. Has a Dog park too

By Tati K |

I love parks around the area. This is my second favorite. Love having pic nic outside, ride bike, and walk! But one thing is I never seen the bathrooms open. I had to hold till I was back home. Awfull! :(

Great for picnics

By Jeanine S |

We had my grand daughters birthday party here, we rented boats at the lake and had a group bike ride.

Loved it

By Julia T |

If you go to sesame place and want to do something else in the area this is a great place to hang out. There is a kids playground which my son enjoyed, a pool which we didn’t check out but heard the kids. We did boat paddling for $15 plus tax for 30 mins. Walked around the grass and just had a good time. We are from NY so this was a nice nature experience for us.

Refreshing oasis

By VashonRR |

Core Creek Park is a refreshing oasis of green hills, trees and blue lake amidst increasing housing developments in Lower Bucks County, PA.
Take a walk, go birdwatching, paddle a canoe or have a picnic.

Core Creek - A great place to ride a bike or have a picnic with a lakeview!

By Linda C |

I go to Core Creek Park a few times a week. I love the mornings there so peaceful and quiet seeing the birds grazing on the lawn near the lake and occasionally someone out on their kayak or fishing boat... lovely serene seat on a bench by the lake and have your cup of coffee..watch the sun shimmer on the lake.

Love This Park

By UrbanMonkey48 |

Practically out my backyard. Has great walking and biking accessibility, as well as, covered pavilions for larger picnic gatherings. Also has a great lake with boat and kayak rentals. No swimming permitted. Nice serting for lakeside fishing. Adequate areas for playing ball games and other sports. Has restroom facilities. Individual picnic tables and charcoal grills scattered throughout the park. You may be treated to seeing some of the resident deer herd or blue heroins. Beautiful large park that locals love.

Truly beautiful and breathtaking!

By depechegirl02 |

I attended a wedding that was being held here at this park last month and couldn't get over how beautiful this park was! So peaceful and scenic, not to mention one of the biggest parks I've ever seen. Many events were being held aside from the wedding I attended, and I saw many people doing other every day activities as well (jogging, dog walking, etc). The park made me with I had some extra time to go for a jog and enjoy how truly beautiful the atmosphere really was, hopefully one day I can return and do just that!

Highly Recommend

By TandyT |

The views were amaazing! If you go during spring time you would probably see the best views there. We go there every year and it never ceases to amaze us. HIGHLY recommended.

A walk in the park

By DONNA R |

Any time of year this is a great Park. Whether it's walking around the lake with a small child alone or with friends. Take your camera. Sit and watch for a while. It's a great visit.

go and relax

By JOSEPH W |

always a place to get away from that rat race outside of the parks boarders. rent a boat ,or just sit by the water and relax with your phone turned OFF! you will be glad you did..

Great for Family Flatwater Boating!

By Jaela J |

In the summer, they have an excellent rental facility, with canoes, kayaks and paddleboats. The kids manning the rentals are helpful and friendly. Depending on the time of day, their may be camps using some of the boats, so you may want to call ahead.
Our family recently purchased a canoe, and with a launch permit, we have access to the ramp and docks at Core Creek, which makes it super easy to get in and out of the water. It's a nice sized lake, perfect for paddling around for an hour or two, with plenty of wildlife to spy at the water's edge

the grinch lives here

By chuck m |

Many years ago the park would open itself for holiday light display which help fund several local charities, after 3 years the locals who had just had their mc mansions built were upset by the traffic going though " their area " and forced Middletown Township to stop the display, ever since then I have rarely gone back and the park has fallen into a state of disrepair that is a shame but what would you expect the Grinch to do ? Anything nice ?

nice place to walk my dog

By Vicki C |

I feel very lucky to live so close to Playwicki Park, Core Creek Park and Tyler Park.
Three beautiful close parks.

Nasty cat shanty town

By theWatusi |

I started down the path from the parking lot near the dog park and soon encountered dozens of feral cats living in makeshift Rubbermaid totes.

The stench of urine was absolutely disgusting. These cats have obviously been here for a while and someone is feeding them. Why does the County put up with it?

I'll find somewhere else to take a walk during my work break.

Nice, well kept county park

By antiquerescue |

Drive, walk, bike through.
Scenic lake, wildlife and nice pavilions for a picnic.
The entire park is a few hundred acres of grasses, woods, lake and of course, Core Creek.
You are bound to find privacy if you want it.

Great park

By Linda M |

Great views of the lake from benches and walking trails. Picnic and play areas invite families to stay for a while.

Things to do for everyone

By 1331carson |

Very nice park in the middle of everything. there are way too many highlights to mention...
Great trout fishing, Floating fishing piers, boat rentals, nice boat ramp for PA registered (Non gas engine) boats, large pavilion rentals, clean bathrooms, walking path, playgrounds (several) tons of parking,

Great park!

By anne b |

This is a very nice park to get out and explore nature!! I wish it still had the XMas Light Show it used to have many years ago! The best is that you can rent boats here and go out on the lake! Reasonable rates, too! I know people who often go bird watching here and often see rare birds, too.

Mountain biking

By Ben Dover |

The mountain biking trails were better than expected. Spent an hour riding the single track with little rider traffic. The rest of the park has a fair amount of pervs and low life's on the weekends. Be careful.

A Nice Open Space Park

By AsItSeemsToMe |

Core Creek has plenty of open grass for a picnic or family gathering. There are many pavilions, picnic tables, and child playgrounds in three main areas. There are walking trails around the lake both finished and unfinished. The lake has boat rentals in the summer and is a good place to bring your own non-motorized craft as well. It has a few egrets, herons, and a pair of bald eagles. The fall colors around the lake are beautiful and the paths provide some good views of the lake in the winter. If you are looking for great vistas or something very exciting to do, this might not be a place to go. If you are looking for a easy and quiet canoe ride, a game of soccer or with some friends, or just a place to throw down a blanket and have a picnic, this place is pretty good. I rate it at three because the park is relatively simple. However, that might be what you are looking for on a Saturday afternoon.

Perfect for a badminton game

By simplesmente e |

Parks are a great way to get away without going too far from home. I enjoy coming here with friends for picnics playing lawn games, soccer, badminton, cards etc...

Peaceful

By Cori L |

It is now, as it has always been, peaceful. A great park to fly a kite while overlooking the lake (small but nice).

Wide open spaces

By Rick M |

There is nothing I don't like, this is a gem of a park with plenty of open fields surrounding a spacious lake.

excellent park great walking trails

By Jacktax |

nice park on the side of a large lake, with boat rentals. walking and many tables for picnics. Very clean and well kept.

It's a park. Big deal

By BACHVW |

It's a park, what's not to like. I canoe there. Easily accessible. Fishermen frequent the lake. You can reserve lots for cook outs and picnics. Sports fields on part of park.

Just beware of the Lake Luxembourg Monster. It makes Nessie look like a tadpole. Might be the Kraken, or perhaps I had too much Kraken!

Picnic

By Bumblebee2_4_8 |

Core Creek Park has sufficient parking. The covered picnic areas are well maintained. We were there for a specific event, but we previously have visited many times just to stroll or to enjoy sitting by the water and cooling off on a hot day.

Gem of a park in Bucks County

By Tom T |

Very nice county park that features a man made lake, miles of paved walking/biking trails, picnic areas (many have sheltered pavilions and can be reserved in advance) and some sports facilities (e.g., basketball and tennis courts, soccer and softball fields). It is rarely crowded (except on summer weekends). Boats are available for rent in season but many people bring their own canoes, kayaks, and sculls. There is a boat launch area but I believe that outboard motors are prohibited (trolling motors seem to be OK). Fishing is a popular pastime. As far as wildlife is concerned, it is very common to see deer (the most I've ever seen is a herd of about 25!), and there are also good opportunities for birdwatching --- currently there are eagles nesting at the far end of the lake near Woodbourne Road. On the strange side, there are several cat "shantytowns" scattered throughout the park. Apparently the park is a dumping ground for unwanted cats, and some people have erected shelters for these abandoned cats and feed them regularly.

Feral cat over-run

By livinginPA |

While boating area and fields by lake are nice, there is a massive feral cat population over by the large pavilion next to playground by lake. I'm talking cats running across paths, sitting on picnic tables, and scuttling through undergrowth. Just within site, we saw about 30-40. That was just those out in the open, mind you. The cat urine smell wafts on the wind. There are people who are feeding and setting up make-shift shelters for the cats. We saw a few last time we were in that area a couple of years ago, but it is out of control now.

Best in Bucks

By Kimberlee H |

Really nice park. Lots of family activites. Fun for Picnics. Non motorized boats allowed. Fishing with a pa license.

Fishing

By dbrmom15 |

Great time with the kiddos in Core Creek! They loved their first fishing trip! The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Great place for pictures and to do other water sports.

Not hiking friendly

By dnrif |

My wife and I were in the New Hope / Lambertville area and wanted to explore some of the local parks for hiking and biking. Some folks suggested Core Creek Park so we decided to check it out.
Unless we missed something we could not find any trail map and of the trails we did walk none provided a nice view of the lake. Most trails we walked were without any view and were disappointing.
This park looked to be better for family picnics, company picnics and the like.

We're so lucky to have this park

By Betty D |

Core Creek is part of the Bucks County park system. It is a beautiful park with a lake, lots of pavilions for gatherings and playgrounds for the kids. I walk there every weekend on the great trails and it's a great place to see wildlife (birds, deer, etc). Watching people fishing in the lake or paddling their kayaks adds to the scenery. I feel very fortunate to live close enough to spend time there every week, but I'm sure I would visit even if I had to drive.

Great Place to Relax

By MrandMrsBookman |

This is a great place to go whether you are with family or by yourself. It is a nice place to lose yourself in. If you are with a large group there are pavilions that you can use for great cook outs. A nice place to go if you would like to unwind in the Langhorne / Newtown area.

Peacefull

By Sandrea K |

A lovely and peaceful place to walk, relax, commune with nature. has a dog park for large and small dogs. boat ramps available and boat rentals available in the summer . A good place to see deer in the late afternoon.

Nice trails

By MeraKi25 |

Core Creek Park has many entrances on different roads in the area. The park has baseball fields, a decent sized lake and paths. It's great to walk dogs, take a bike ride or walk in.

Lots of room

By Linda L |

Absolutely love this park. You can go fishing, beautiful lake. You can jog, lots of paved walkways. We have birthday parties here and bathrooms near by. You can picnic with charcoal grills that are there.

Local recommends nice park

By NickD |

A great place for a walk, to fish, to have a party. This park has multiple pavilions, a nice gazebo, boat rentals, small and big dog park, only issue gets very crowded during the summer days (mostly weekend) tip take a trip during middle of week

Beautiful with Lots to Do

By David M |

There is a beautiful lake, during the summer you can rent boats to take out on the lake. There are numerous pavilions, well-maintained bathrooms, baseball and basketball courts, and lots of room to walk!

By phillyburb |

Took my mom here on mother's day last year, she loved it. Also use to go fishing here a lot, when I was a kid.

Cat Creek Park

By EndlessCaravan |

This is a great county park with plenty to do. It has a large man-made lake that can be used for fishing or boating. They rent canoes, kayaks, etc down near the ramp. There are plenty of fields for softball, soccer, kites, and just about anything else you can think of. There are a few different playground areas for kids to play on equipment. Like most county parks there are multiple pavilions that can be reserved for functions and barbequing. There are trails for running, rollerblading or biking. If you get off the pavement there are a series of trails for mountain biking. These are great for beginners and intermediate riders. The ride is generally flat with only a few elevation changes. As for obstacles, there are a few ramps, log piles and planks/bridges, but nothing too overwhelming. But a great place to get a quick ride in if you live nearby. The park also has a fenced in dog park. The park deserves a higher rating, but until they address the feral cat colony it is not possible. The park has dozens of wild cats living there. Once you get off the pavement you will see dozens of " cat huts" that have been put in as a form of shelter. It is not uncommon to see 8-12 cats in a group at a time while running or biking, multiple times. It is awful. There are people who go through and feed the cats as well. At times you can see a shopping cart contraption with food water, etc, on it when it is parked near a cat park it is servicing. I feel terrible that we have a pet abandonment and overpopulation problem but using public resources in this fashion to address it is unacceptable. Given the amount of animals and structures for them, the park endorses it or has chosen to look the other way. If they clean it up, the park deserves a very good rating.

If it wasn't for some wildlife and the lake and boat rentals, I would not recommend it.

By Jeff S |

The park is turning into a dog park, but it is not a dog park; it's a nature park. Only from the demand of the snooty, upscale local residents from Langhorne, and Newtown who whined about their stupid dogs did the county put in a little fenced in area for the dogs, but that is not the main attraction, nor should it ever be. Secondly, if you are in a hurry to get somewhere, do not ever use the park as a short cut. The rangers their really don't know too much about nature, but they will report you if you go more than 20 miles a hour. And the other negative notable are the stinking geese that polluted the lake water. Having said that, the best time to see the park, if you want to see the deer, is around 7 or 8, right before dusk, and you have to go up on the far west side. The other nice thing is that in the pond on the other side of the road bridge, way far back up among the tall trees, there is an eagles nest, and eagles continue to use that nest. With powerful binoculars, you can see the eagle clearly.

Beautiful Park

By MomofShadow |

Core Creek is a beautiful park to bike ride, fly a kite, take a hike, go fishing, canoe or just have a picnic. It is pretty big so you can usually find a spot. It is especially beautiful in the fall and you may even see deer if there are not a lot of people around. We love it here!

Nice park needs monitoring at times

By dianne24 |

I have been going to Core Creek park for many years. It is by far one of my favorite parks. I walk my dog and enjoy the lake, the nature and the beauty of this Park is so enjoyable. What I cannot understand is why there are never Park Rangers around, when the Kids who do their rowing are around, week days. They drive through there at 50 miles an hour, screaming and cussing so bad. They need to monitor it a better before some one gets hurt.

This park has Lake Luxemburg as it's main attraction. It is beautiful with many docks and boating in the warmer months. There is a well maintained trail around the perimeter of the park and a dog park. The only drawback is the lack of plentiful waste disposal for dog bags on the trail. They also do not offer bags like some other dog friendly parks. There are many well used pavilions and a very nice playground for kids. I have been going to this park for many years and never get tired of the peaceful feeling when overlooking the beautiful lake.

Picnic at the lake

By Howard S |

Nice local park with walking trails, bigg fields, and a nice lake. fantastic place to fly a kite when the wind is right. Clean restrooms and good parking. A place to find many scout troops. family frindly and clean for an open air park. Isuggest a visit, even in winter it is nice to walk the trails

Moon lit kayak tour

By Travel2Escape45 |

Nice little event. The park offers kayaks and gear. And narrated local nature and history by the very nice and polite college age guys. Kayak around the lake for 1.5 hours at sunset when there's a full moon. Saw 20 blue heron hanging in the trees. Egrets, and turtles too. Fish jump in the moonlight. Who knew that Langhorne PA had such easy access to this adventure. Now if they would only allow paddle boards and rent then too it would be perfect.

Being grateful for nature.

If you want calm, peace and beauty stop by.
I am SO GRATEFUL to have found this gem of a park. It is beautiful. The trails are easy and the paved areas very easy for all. There is an awesome dog park but you must of course sign up to take your pup in. The plentiful bathroom access is clean and all over the park. I really enjoyed hiking all along the boat house side. There are two beautiful docks across from the boat house you can walk to and sit on. It is very clean. I AM DISGUSTED by people who were here the day before who had a party and left the ENTIRE AREA of the pavilion and FAR beyond FILLED with garbage strewn everywhere!!! I spent an hour cleaning it all up. I picked up everything I could. Cigarettes everywhere and they even let the kids scribble all over the picnic tables. Nature is OUR GIFT. If you see this and can stop to do something about it, no matter where you are, do it. Take a minute to correct other’s ignorance and negligence. I called and told the office about this. I suggested more surveillance from the maintenance/ranger.

A small but very nice park

By Traveler0013 |

Just a nice place to have a quiet walk, or just stare and the lake and the birds. Or in other parts take the kids to play on the equipment.

Great place for walk, play, boating and many more in vast wilderness yet close to town.

By PADMA629 |

The place is in Newton next to Langhorne in the Bucks County of PA 19047.
The park has walking / cycling traks with very few people seen around. There is big lake in the 'creek' where boating and fishing is an attraction. Also there are tennis courts and basketball grounds that can be engaged. It is a pleasure to walk on the paved roads for long ups and downs. There is no fee to enter the park but for using some of the facilities it would cost minimal. It is a nice site for holding big picnics.

Core Creek Park

Excellent location for small or large groups. Great place for a family outing. Numerous activities at a reasonable cost. Able to bring your own refreshments which keeps down the cost of the outing.

A park for all seasons

By midas6t6 |

There's something here for all park users. Fishing, boating, walking/running trails, sports fields, picnic grounds, Core Creek has all these. Nature lovers can observe deer, eagles, and in the fall various migrating ducks and geese. Picnic pavilions are available for reservation by large groups - good for family reunions. There are also places for quieter, more peaceful picnics as well.

Boat Rental and Walking Trails

By juliebI8555NY |

I enjoy renting paddle boats and canoes here. They have a dog park but I don't have a dog. Also I think you have to be a member to go in the dog park. The walking trails are pretty flat so it's easy for anyone to do.

Great place to ride a bike or go for a walk

By Ron Z |

Great place to ride a bike, go for a walk, canoe/kayak or picnic. You can also shoot hoops, BBQ,, etc.

A nice little park

By atomhrtmom |

A nice little park that is close by to my house. a place to go especially during the morning when no one is around. Peace and quiet by the lake.

LOVE IT!!

By Patti R |

There is so much to do with the lake, boating, canoeing, picnic areas. But our FAVORITE part is the Dog Park. It is kept clean and nice. It is split in to 2 areas for big dogs and little dogs. We can't even say the name anymore because my dogs know it and run around the house crazy!

Great place to enjoy nature!

By Sherry H |

Every time I come to this park, I am relaxed. It is so peaceful. There are playgrounds for the kids and many hiking trails. There are a lot of pavilions for family get together and cook outs. You can horse back ride, hike, play and get outside to enjoy nature!

Nice low key park

By Russell S |

If your looking for a park with little activities this is the park. Good picnic tables, and walking trails. Good place to let the dogs run.

Lucky I live across the street

This park is the crown Jewel of Langhorne. It's a smaller park than say Tyler but no less pretty. Lake Luxembourg is the centerpiece and there is a one mile end to end path along the lake but a lot of people don't know there are also lots of trails. You can get lost exploring them but as long as you keep the lake in sight you're usually ok. I run here at least once a week due to the convenience. An insiders note, this park is serious about closing and openening at dawn and dusk do not get caught here at those times you will get chased out!

It is a great place picknics hiking and biking.

By Earle H |

It is a beautiful park for all out door activities. For anyone that wants to have picnics it is a beautiful location. It has tables, benches and barbeque stoves. The trails for biking and hiking are perfect. The woods are beautiful. The lawns are always mowed for people that just want to lay in the sun on their blankets.

By Jennifer N |

There is lots of variety at this lovely local park. The walking trails are well maintained. There are nice pavilions, clean restroom facilities, and plenty of spots to have a picnic. The lake offers kayaking and canoeing. No motor boats, so it's quiet. The wildlife through the park is rich. You might even catch a glimpse of the Bald Eagles who live there!

Poor Trail Map

By Anon8815 |

Overall enjoyed our trip. The parking lot was clean and it is dog friendly. All the dogs we encountered were properly leash. The trails are all maintained well however you never know what trail you are one. The trail map has some trails on it, but there are many, many more than that. I wish they would update it. We also ran across an area of the lake that had an abundance of plastic bottles that had washed ashore. I did not specifically look for any, but maybe put out some extra recycling cans?

Clean restrooms

Clean restrooms!! nice surprise for a public park!! well maintained grounds too!!!Was not real crowded when I visited, very quiet and peaceful.

Nice park

By Debbie B |

Good for walking, biking, boating, fishing, family get togethers, kite flying. Paved trails make it wheelchair accessible. There are quiet wooded spots and wide open spaces, lots of good fishing holes.

Great for biking and picnics.

By Danielle D |

We love Core Creek for biking and enjoying the outdoors. It's a really great park for reading and picnics, also!

Great for Events

By Dani M |

We went to this park for an arranged picnic for an Engagement. They rented a pavilion which was hard to find for us as we had never been there, but the location was good once we found it. We had a lot of space, tables, a grill and a short walk to the restrooms/parking area.

Very nice park.

By Kat333 |

We have had several family picnics there. Very big park. Open areas for vollyball, football, baseball games. Lots of picnic spots with tables. Some have grills but they are old and very rusty.,don't know if they would fall apart if you used them. There are pavilions that can be reserved, there may be a small fee. There is a lake you can fish in but you do need a fishing license. There are a few playgrounds . The website has all of the info you may need.

Nice Well Maintained Park

By Gerald M |

I have come here for many years. several areas where the family can play and have picnics.

Lake exposure boat rentals and fishing. I want to caution that license and trout stamp required to fish here if you are of age.

Come here any time with the family or yourself. they have bike and hiking trails.

Tyler Park similar is not far from here also.

Small not worth the visit

By Outd00rgrl |

Not impressed. I expected more "natural" environment. Restrooms need to be cleaned more frequently. The park was very crowded and probably could have used more attention to cleanliness.

By Leah C |

The park is very scenic with lots of trees, a lake, and a boathouse. There is a nice running trail if you are looking for a place to exercise outdoors.

A gem of a park

By 40n75w |

In the heart of Lower Bucks County, this park with a huge man-made lake offer a beautiful, serene place to hike and boat. There are numerous walking paths and pavilions for barbeques and picnic, most with easy access to toilets. You can rent kayaks or bring your own boat (requires an inexpensive, annual permit). In the fall, the foliage colors are spectacular and the lake plays host to migrating birds. The park is pet-friendly.

Pleasant Surprise Tucked in Bucks County

By pamelab567 |

Came to the park to participate in a Dragon Boat Festival and this is a beautiful huge park. I drove all around the park and was very impressed by everything I saw. The park is laid out nicely, grounds are kept up, roads are nice, and lots of parking in all the different areas. They have everything you could think of needing in a park, boat launch, docks, pavilions, playgrounds, soccer fields, baseball, etc.

Beautiful park trails and lake. Went canoeing and loved it! Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly packed with families. The bathrooms were really really dirty though.

Core Creek - Peaceful, Tranquil, & a Great Dog Park

By Brian M |

Core Creek Park is a beautiful Bucks County park with lots to do. The lake is gorgeous and you can rent canoes and paddle boats. The park has covered picnic areas as well as other places to sit throughout the park. The walking paths wind through the park and is great for exercise as well as riding bikes. The park also has a dog park which is well maintained and quite spacious. Core Creek Park is definitely worth a visit.

Very comforting

By Doodles336 |

I have been to Core Creek Park on many occasion. Just went to sit by the lake and veg. It's peaceful and out in the country. One could rest there for hours.

Not one of the finer parks

By Steve B |

I am at Core Creek often. With kids in sports, you will spend an adequate amount of time there.

There are several picnic areas and relatively clean bathrooms but they do get closed in Autumn through spring. This makes staying rather uncomfortable.

They dog park is excellent. You need a card to access. To get one you have to have rabies certificates and paper work and pay a nominal fee. The parks are gated and back to back. One for little dogs and the other for bigger dogs. The dogs and people are always friendly.

If you like deer, you can always find them in the park so make sure you drive carefully as well. We've seen up to 13 deer at once and we left soccer practice.

The Boat Ramp is fun for kids. You can launch your own boat or rent a canoe or paddle boat. That's about $30 for the hour.

The park would rate higher but the soccer fields are in terrible shape. The County simply doesn't mow then often enough. I've complained but received no results. Our dogs had ticks on them from the high grass.

Great park for a walk or picknick

By rcamp71570 |

We have had family reunions there for the last 10 years. The pavilions are nice and come with power and a grill. The bathrooms are clean.

Gorgeous!
