Great eats and fine place to stroll. Plenty of parking. Has an amazing variety of very good restaurants.

While loaded with shops , cafes, bars and restaurants there is also wall to wall people and NO parking It is one of the busiest streets in South Florida At night music blares from every place
If you like this kind of scene -enjoy!
If you prefer a more relaxed vibe visit early in the day or off season
There are some street parking but very hard to come by. There are also municipal lots but they fill up very early Valet parking is expensive and also fills up

A good people watching, very active street. Many restaurants and shops to keep you busy. A nice evening dinner location.

Anywhere on Atlantic Ave has great food, fun atmosphere, art, shopping and great people watching. I love the added bonus that some places offer..the big comfy outdoor couches. If you’re a foodie, check out the DelRay calendar for the different festivals. There’s always something happening there.
We chose a different cuisine for each meal. “Tramonti” for an Italian lunch. The wine selection is great, portions big and pasta dishes really flavored well.
Breakfast was at the Sushi place on the NW corner on west side of train tracks, (eggs and fruit) and the coffee was so good I had three.
Dinner was at a Colombian place on the corner of 2nd? We ordered a veggie and chicken in a curry cream sauce over rice. It was not at all overwhelming. Mouth watering. We also tried the oysters which were flavored perfectly. Calimari was really fresh and came with a spicy marinara.
I would suggest an extensive cardio workout in the morning prior to dining on Atlantic Ave. Just about every place is top of the line in food and drink and you’ll want to keep going.
There’s a Hyatt in the area if you want to stay longer and the beach of course is a few blocks away.

This is fun street with a lot of energy! Its very safe never saw any problems or felt uncomfortable. It is easily walk able from the beginning all he way up to A1A and the Atlantic Ocean. It is loaded with great restaurants with some unique food, bars and shops. A full range of shops from expensive to moderately priced to mom and pop stores. You have to go to Johnny Browns for live music and a great atmosphere, Racks for the oysters and seafood and Over the Bridge Cafe for breakfast. Parking is easy on the street as well as off the street parking garages.

Atlantic Avenue has excellent shopping and dining. Every restaurant offers happy hours from 4-7 at their bars!

Plenty of quality restaurants and bars to choose from. If you are into people and car watching, then grab a table at a restaurant that offers outdoor seating. Valet parking is offered for $7-$10. Otherwise, street parking is limited and you have to pay. Fun place in the evening.

The ave is a good place to walk and enjoy the night life. There always seems to be something happening on the weeks. Definitely a great place to go for a night out.

Spending a nite out on Atlantic Ave is definitely a plus.
Many nice eating places and lots of atmosphere.
plus plus plus

A happening street offering a great array of restaurants and shops.
A mob scene on weekends.
Greta for people watching

Atlantic Ave. is the place to be especially on weekend nights. Lots of interesting restaurants and people watching. Concerts often going on in the square. Just watch the trains that come barreling through. Do NOT IGNORE the train signals or it will literally be the death of you.

Atlantic Avenue is always alive and bustling with restaurants, bars, shops, ethnic foods and classic local cuisine. It is about a mile long stretch of exciting night life all the way to the beach. You can also go off the Avenue and find great restaurants and bars that are where the locals go. This city has great community events through out the year.

It was a hot day looking for park slot but it's easy to park, very nice shops, restaurants to the beach way. It was a great day in Atlantic Avenue.

The Ave as it's known has plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops. It's s nice place to walk and pop into different galleries and stores. Close to the beach, leads right in to it. Nice location with lot's of traffic.

As new residents of Delray Beach my wife and I went for a stroll along the length of Atlantic Avenue that forms the part of downtown Delray Beach (our new Main Street!). We came in on a late evening and sat at the Tin Roof listening to a live band before we walked down the street and went to Scuola Vecchia Pizza e Vino for a wood fired pizza. We walked on the articulating bridge that swings to let tall sailboats and shipping through, and past all the shops with a variety of sculptures, artwork and offerings as well as many many restaurants all spilling out onto the sidewalk in the beautiful Florida winter weather.
Atlantic Avenue has so many sides as you drive westwards from the intersection with A1A - Florida's coastal highway. The part between the intercoastal and the ocean is East Atlantic Avenue and the part west of the Intercoastal is West Atlantic Avenue. The nature of the street changes by the hour. When we passed by again at 10:00 PM there was the loud sounds of music, young people everywhere and a palpable energy on the street. So different from the scene at 6:30 PM!
Atlantic Avenue west of the Intercoastal devolves into suburban mediocrity as it intersects the long north south thoroughfares such as Jog Road, Lyons, Military Trail, Congress Avenue, etc. You will see big box stores like Home Depot, strip malls and endless developments all touting palm fronds and golf courses.
As we live at almost the very western end of Atlantic, our drive took us through the entire spectrum of its eclectic composition before we hit the beach off A1A. We look forward to many interesting walks in the downtown parts of Atlantic Avenue as well as searching for shopping to equip our new house also on the suburban parts of the same street.

Atlantic Ave has tons of restaurants, bars and shops and is definitely the happening part of Delray. It was super busy both nights we were there, so it might be a good idea to reserve your restaurant ahead of time. Traffic is a bear, as is parking, so definitely plan a taxi or car sharing service.

I loved everything about Atlantic Avenue! The boutiques and the restaurants were fabulous. Drive down to the beach and go to the left and tour from the street all the magnificent mansions.!!!

Atlantic ave is a pretty amazing ave to walk down and check out the sites. There are plenty of restaurants and quaint little shops to stop in and visit. Coffee shops, bakery’s, boutique, and plenty of restaurants. Pay it a visit and check out the farmers market in Saturday’s!

The avenue is block after block of unique shops and entertainment venues. Prices are surprisingly affordable

Great town. Great street. After 10 its gets a little weird. Maybe it was one night but the sidewalks had vomit everywhere. Seemed more like New Orleans.

I had heard that Delray Beach is the little cousin to Miami. Unless you just want to gape at people on South Beach, come to Delray instead.

Atlantic Ave has always been great and has become better and better for just about any age person or group. During the day you have clothing, art galleries, Hands Office Supply, The Trouser Shop and great places to eat for any kind of food you may want. The closer you get to the ocean there are more upscale shops and spa and anchored by Boston's on the Beach (Don't miss it and the grouper sandwich - or Reggae Night) on A1A. You can drive it, walk it. You can do it in the morning, daytime, evening or late night. There are things that may not be of interest, but its fun to see the architecture, the people and the mix. Even as a child I would love to go the lobby of the Colony Club and just absorb. Granted its not like the lobby of The Plaza, but its fun to see people, tourists, foreigners and just relax and absorb the environment. Evening brings on the dinner and cocktail atmosphere along the strip with lively food and drinking places - so why would you NOT WANT TO GO?

Came here valentines day with the gf, atlantic ave has a good number of restaurants bars, and galleries. Had a great time checking out the area.

This is a great place to walk around, has great restaurants, bars and hotels.
Perfect place to stay on hotels here coz it’s near by the beach.

Charming street to wander up and down at leisure. A plethora of alfresco restaurants spilling onto the sidewalks, and lots of little boutiques with everything from a souvenir to a cocktail dress. Beautiful to roam on a cool evening! (Traffic is thick on this little two lane ave. This should really be a pedestrian street.)

Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach offers something for everyone! Starting on the corner of Swinton and Atlantic is Old School Square, an arts and entertainment venue. Walking on... restaurants, art galleries, boutique shopping, coffee, and more... all the way to the beautiful sandy beach! One of the best streets in America!

Open air restaurants, bars with live bands , concerts, shopping plus the new Delray Market even a Pin Ball Museum! Great place for people watching, walking your dog or stroll to the beautiful beaches.

Great walking venue. Full restaurants, cafes, burger joints, specialty clothing and shoe stores as well as fine art galleries all make for an eclectic stroll down a pleasant urban boulevard with a lot to see, drink and taste.
Many fairs and art shows cause street closings during season so check before you go. Full range of restaurants and bars make for a very interesting night out. Can get pretty crowded on weekends.

Atlantic Avenue is constantly evolving- adding new stores, restaurants, and bars. It is always busy and a fun place to sit at a sidewalk cafe or bench and people watch. You can also catch farmers markets, art shows, and beach activities depending on the day.

This strip is great to walk and cruise. Halloween was in full costume with police escorts at intersection for those on bicycles in parade. Lots of restaurants & watering holes. All kinds of foot traffic. Great weekend farmer's market.

Walking around here, there are lots of shops and restaurants. Parking was a little harder at night but once you park, you can walk everywhere.

Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida, is a great place to walk and window shop, if you are in the mood to do that. It is also a great place to eat your favorite foods, from Docs where burgers and shakes are the draw to upscale seafood, sushi, and steak restaurants. If you like pizza, Mellow Mushroom is a great place to go, but there are other choices as well. Or there's Rocco's Tacos. You can even have breakfast on the Avenue! If you don't want a meal, you can grab a coffee and watch the people as they enjoy the Avenue. In the mood for ice cream, walk down to Ben and Jerry's and have your favorite flavors. There are too many places to mention on Atlantic Avenue where you can do whatever you like. If you visit in winter, the Christmas Tree will go up again, which draws a lot of people and their children. But even off-season, Atlantic Avenue draws a crowd. There is valet parking available in many locations, and parking lots, too.

Art galleries, bistros, boutiques and restaurants are some of the attractions on Atlantic Avenue.
There is shows, music, bar etc.
At the end of the street you are at the beach
Hotels offers attractions to
I love after supper walk and stop for ice cream

Wonderful street with every imaginable type of dining, outdoor tables, live music and tons of fun! Great shops, plenty to see and do, and runs down to a beautiful beach.

Had a really great time in Delray, the city offers a lot. Went with my family, including adult children. We had lots to do and the kids went out to several clubs in the evening. It’s a fun town.

Just walking around this "little village by the sea" is a wonderful experience. Always lively and lots of people watching. Awesome restaurants and trendy shopping. Love staying right near Atlantic Ave when we are in town!

Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach is pretty amazing. Excellent restaurants galore and lots of pleasant sidewalk dining. Interesting shops, boutiques and galleries as well. Not as hectic or urban as Las Olas (Ft. Lauderdale) and Clematis Street or Cityplace in West Palm Beach, Atlantic Avenue hits all the right notes. There is a large city parking garage that is just $5 at night and free most days until 4 PM. If you’ve not been to downtown Delray, you must go.

Walking area of the city, full of all kinds of restaurants and shops, and the place to be, particularly in the evenings, year round.

The shops, restaurants and art studios are great. It is a cool vibe and worth a spending a night eating drinking and people watching. Parking can be expensive but overall its worth the trip

So much to see and do on Atlantic Avenue, especially in downtown Delray Beach. Lots of great restaurants and shops....then head to the beautiful beach.

Excellent selection of restaurants and places to go, the parking is a little difficult but well worth the adventure. It is always changing.

Great place to be nightly during the week. Great variety food from oceans, 3 for $10 drinks, great ambient smoke with real cool people at Puros around the corner see the girls stoll by and finishing night cap with wonderful espresso made your way by Eduardo. Come by for the experience and relaxation.

Pleasant walking street, day or night. Can get very crowded in peak times, yet still manageable. Wide range of restaurants, bars, shopping.

Our family loves Del Ray. Atlantic Ave. offers any kind of food you could possibly think of. All the shops are very unique. There is something for everyone all on one great street! :)

Fun to walk along the avenue and see and perhaps browse in the many shops. From artwork and galleries to sweets and Ice Cream, Atlantic Avenue has you covered. Also quite a selection and variety of eateries from very informal to more elegant dining

The City of Delray will immobilize your car if the payment expires even if the parking lot is empty! I pay for 4 hours of parking on a Monday, then I come 20 mins late the boot man, made me pay $50 to let my car go...I think that is a little too much, having a empty parking lot on a Monday. And it was my birthday... bad experience

Atlantic Ave is approx. 3/4 of a mile, maybe more, of nothing but shops and killer restaurants. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fun to stop and have cocktail and watch the locals and swarms of tourists. You will have a great tme. Make sure you stop at Musse Beach restaurant, order the mussels with blue cheese. I dislike blue cheese, but with dish. Best item on the menu.

All the charm of a smaller home town with the beat of a progressive city offering a little bite of everything to just about everyone. Stroll "The Avenue", enjoy a meal from the variety of culinary specialists or attend a special event it is so famous for. A great choice for an afternoon or make a full evening of it you won't be sorry.

Old fashioned newspaper stand numerous coffee houses with my favorite being the Capital One Cafe! Tons of live entertainment pubs and restaurants from ocean front to I-95 with the best selection of all of the above found mostly in the middle.

Restaurants galore from the ocean to I 95. You can find any type of cuisine from inexpensive to fin e dining. Great for people watching. Interspered are some nice stores.

If you ever get to Southeast Florida this is THE town to visit. Atlantic Avenue runs from I-95 right to the ocean and it Boutique shops and restaurants that are unique to South Florida. Not a single vacant store available, so when shopping, you have a wide range to select from clothing, shoes, art, antiques, and Florida souvenirs. You will never forget your visit to Delray Beach.

A nice street to walk. Many great restaurants and shops. Clean and safe area and plenty of parking nearby.

We stayed where we could walk up and down the avenue. There were many great restaurants, bars and clubs. A very fun evening

The Delray Beach Ave is simply the best. There's a spot for everyone. I love the art garage. Parking is not always easy but the goal is to forget about your car and walk. You can make it anywhere.

Delray Beach is one of the nicest towns on the east coast of Florida hands down. A great Florida experience especially if you like dining, shopping and people watching in a very relaxed atmosphere. Not the typical east coast experience.

Atlantic Avenue is worth fighting traffic and the search for parking. There are a wide variety of shops and some are still locally owned and not part of a chain. Be sure to take in Hands Stationery and Kilwins .

a great place to catch the local vibe and relax. If your looking for abite to eat the area is loaded with them. Sit back sip and relax.

Del Ray is the cutest seaside village because of Atlantic Avenue. Such a variety of shops, restaurants, and condos you can spend all day there walking from store to store and then to Ben & Jerry's to get some refreshing ice cream. Art Galleries are in good supply as well if you love Fine Art. It's a definite "must do".

There are a lot of specialty shops that are a little pricey. We found some bargains, though. Take an afternoon an stroll down the Avenue.

This lacks the meth addicts of Duvall Street, the ultra-chic snobs of Naples’ Fifth Avenue, and the downright “unusual” people of Ybor City. Here, you’ll be happy to find that Atlantic Avenue appears to be a veritable treasure trove of nightlife, wonderful eclectic restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and interesting shops for couples and family members of all ages. Lovely tropical plants and trees further create a beautiful promenade. After the sun sets, Atlantic Avenue really comes alive - it becomes rapidly crowded after 7pm and the ambience also becomes more interesting.

Beautiful walk with all the possible attractions, stores restaurants and exciting hidden alleys. Vibrant and elegant, sexy and comforting, one of the best streets in South East Florida. Enjoyable and safe!

What a wonderful Street. Hundreds of shops and restaurants. The people are friendly and helpful. It is a great adventure.

A pleasant way to spend a weekend afternoon. Atlantic Avenue has a nice mix of eateries, pubs, hotels and stores. We enjoyed browsing through small art galleries and clothing stores. We took a window seat at Rocco’s Tacos and people watched.

Atlantic Avenue offers interesting and different shops as well as terrific restaurants. You can walk a little over a mile from the ocean to Swinton Avenue, window shop, see some interesting art galleries on and off the avenue, have a great meal and enjoy yourself. It is a unique City.

Great place to walk up and down both sides of the street and visit all of the shops, restaurants, Bars, etc... Some Bars have Bands on the weekend and they are very good. Friday nights are a blast here.

I enjoyed walking in and out of stores checking out all the merchandise. I went during the day and it was slow season before Christmas. I’ll be back for more shopping next visit.

Atlantic Avenue is a great location to always have a wonderful meal. Many choices of restuarants with variety of food types. From high end to casual. m Something for everyone. Always fun to walk up and down the avenue. Stores as well as food.

a delightful place to walk around for an afternoon. The shops are great, great outdoor restaurants. Love the old Colony Hotel

Went for the 30th Annual Downtown Delray beach Festival of the Arts. The avenue is great for people watching.
Lots of great restaurants, art galleries and stores.
Weekends are a zoo. Also difficult to park but there is plenty of valet parking.

Atlanta Ave offers fine dining, casual and outdoor dining.Shops and School Street Museum. Veterans park near the intercostal cruise ship is lively with beautiful fountains and dining.

I live Nearby and so do my grown kids...there is something for all ages on “the Ave.”.
Foodies, art lovers and fashionistas gather and shop, eat and connect here on a daily basis. Anytime after 11:30 a.m. so much to do here, including being minutes, walking distance from the gorgeous beach.

It’s a younger vibe, but it has a wide variety of shops and restaurants. It really picks up at night and is a fairly safe place.

I always take my visitors to aAtlantic Av to explore the wonderful and unique Stowe’s and dine in delicious restaurants. Get there early to make or use a garage or lot.

If you want it they have it. Coffee shops, Pizza,
Seafood, Steaks, Salads, Ice Cream, etc.
I forgot to mention shopping for shoes, dress, art, accessories I can go on and on. Also a very good bar scene, many local places with happy hour. At least five hotels on Atlantic Avenue. Live shows and a tennis stadium all on and around Atlantic Avenue. Oh yes even a boat that takes you up and down the inter coastal. It’s all here come on down and enjoy.

Fun, fun, fun. Lots of bars and restaurants and action. Plenty to choose from. Great for walking, shopping dining etc. Parking can be tough, but otherwise a great time.

DelRay Beach has revived its downtown area with eclectic upscale shopping, a variety of eating establishments with ethnically diverse menus, and interesting architecture. They also host cultural events at the square adjacent to the avenue. Sidewalk dining is a treat and the beach is at the east end of the Avenue. Seems like a plan for revival for an area that was always nice, but it is now in a class by itself on the Atlantic Coast.

love taking strolls down Atlantic Avenue, where one can find anything from Arts Supplies, clothing, shoes, Art, and of course fabulous restaurants.

Atlantic Avenue is the hub in Delray Beach. They have everything you want in a beachfront community. There’s high end boutiques, tacky souvenir shops, fine dining, fast food restaurants, and fun bars.

Loved Delray Beach and Atlantic Avenue. Many restaurants and food was very good. Weather was excellent. The lady at the Tourist Information was very helpful and knowledgeable.

There is a lot going on here in the evening esp during the winter season. Dozens of excellent restaurants ( make sure you make a reservation or you can wait an hour to be seated), bars with live music ( eg johnnies has a very good Elvis on Monday’s, Rod Stewart cover band on Tuesdays, rock on wednesdays), shops and galleries that are open late, candy stores and ice cream shops. It’s very lively.

Very nice area to walk and see shops and restaurants. Every kind of restaurant you would want and they all have great food. Atlantic Ave. is a family area.

Atlantic Avenue has something for everyone. Great restaurants, entertainment and fun shops! Especially Unique Boutique...ladies clothes, handbags and awesome jewelry they really got it right very unique.

Atlantic Ave has soooo much to do! There are dozens of restaurants featuring all types of cuisines, some local shops, green markets, festivals, and so much more. There is an old pinball museum/arcade. There’s often live music on Saturday and Friday nights. There are ice cream shops and lots of cute scenery. Overall it’s just a very fun place to hangout. I’d recommend it for any age group

What a great street to shop, eat and people watch. Lots of stores to shop in, friendly people, and all kinds of restaurants to choose from

Delray is growing but the feeling is of a small town. People are friendly, the weather is great and a walk on the beach tops it off. Walking along Atlantic Avenue has little bit of this and that. Lots of restaurants to choose from.

The main street of Delray is wonderful collection of shops, galleries and restaurants. Whatever food that you're looking for, you can find it here. Stroll the avenue and have a great time.

This downtown area is by far the best in south Florida, the walkable street has many many restaurants, shops and a train that thunders through , the old time feel is still there because they kept the lower building height , parking is ample but no longer free as it was but still inexpensive (5 bucks or so)
I live here and been there 100’s of times and will continue to go

Up and coming, very trendy place to eat and meet. Tons of restaurant choices for everyone. There is cheap eats, fancy eats and middle of the road eats. There are so many places to choose from and great shopping to boot! So go on down to Atlantic Avenue,"The Ave",meet your friends and have some fun, then head over to the beach 5 minutes away!

Visiting our son that lives here we did the long beautiful walk of shops and restaurants. Hotels and Spa’s. Must say it was a great experience. Lots of colour and activities going on

Lots of really good restaurants with outdoor seating. The shops were expensive for me, but it was fun to window shop. They weren't the usual chain stores, so it was nice to see different things.

Atlantic Crossing Delray Beach - Valet parking
Get ready to get ripped off when you visit Hampton Social. The valet charges $25 but doesn't bother to tell you or have any signage to inform you of the cost. Leads you to believe that you're "tipping" for the service.

Atlantic Avenue is where you want to be on St Patty’s Day. Yearly over 30,000 people gather in peace to watch a community parade, bar crawl and have a good time. From Delray Beach to Swindon Ave onlookers enjoy warm sunshine, vendors and of course green beer.

Great place to grab a bite to eat, drink, listen to music, shop and people watch. Day or night there's lots to see and do!

If you haven't been here, Atlantic Ave is the happening place to visit. Whether looking to enjoy one of many excellent Happy Hours, a meal (tons of options) or just strolling along and watching people, it is a great way to spend one or more evenings.

Atlantic Ave. is the site of the Delray Affair, perhaps the best south Florida craft exhibit. Usually held in late April it has hundreds of exhibitors showing fine art to home crafted clothing, jewelry and serious to just fun objects. Most are affordable and the stroll and lunch offerings on site and in surrounding restaurants make for a complete day's outing. Extends from AIA to Beyond School house square. Many food, health and financial booths in addition to arts and crafts. All for sale. Great place to stock up on holiday gifts. It gets very crowded as day passes. Try for early morning arrival.

The weather was a little cloudy, but temps still in the seventies, so we found ourselves spending HOURS at the show. We felt the quality of artists was high; a lot of diverse and different offerings, various media

I love Delray Beach and Atlantic Ave to spend time with family and friends, very friendly atmosphere and nice places to eat, drink and just having a good time.

This is the center of everything and the main road to the ocean and beach. Shops and restaurants abound.

This is a great district for shopping, lots of different restaurants, art galleries, and more. You can spend an afternoon or evening walking along and enjoying all that there is to offer!

Delray Beach is a great strolling Avenue! Lots to look at...something for everyone. Restaurants galore, art galleries, people watching. We gathered up lots of local flavor and bought a few treasures along the way. We dropped in at a local restaurant for lunch (Vic and Angelos).....continued walking and shopping. Great way to enjoy a day away from the beach.

I don't even want to write how much I enjoyed visiting Delray Beach and their cool Atlantic Avenue. Too many people will go there! LOL! So many little "local" restaurants (no chains yet thank goodness) with plenty of outside seating to people watch and take in the sunny Florida weather. A good mix of culture and food. Toward the western end is the large square with an arts center and a huge area where they host their Saturday farmers' market - complete with music and entertainment. There is a lot of street parking and new parking garages. Wander slightly off the main Avenue and discover historical preservation and theaters.

Atlantic Avenue is a long stretch with lots of shops, galleries, and restaurants. It’s a very lively area, enjoyable to browse on, the business owners are friendly, and it’s fun to people-watch. A free trolley up-and-down the area makes it easy to visit.

I'll keep it short. Delray is a restaurant, art gallery, beach lover's paradise. Happy hours of great food and drink specials will have you confused where is best to go. So many options, and not enough time. Start early, enjoy the small boutique shops, and explore the diverse food options. It's hard to pick must sees, but Pinball Museum is great family and adult fun, Boston's on the Beach has good music also (Check Out the Restaurant Upstairs), Blue Oyster for their great seafood. Cubanos is a must go, especially for their paella and their mohitos, and the night life is great up and down the street all week long. If I had to give my vote for favorite restaurant, it would be Cubanos, because of the paella, but so many other restaurants will exceed your expectations. Delray has great outdoor music concerts, a town hall play center, and many surprise art, nature, and shopping nooks around every corner.

Atlantic Ave. is the social hub of Delray and you cannot go wrong with spending a day of strolling along to peruse art galleries, shops as well as dining options. It's not to be missed when in Delray!

It is worth walking Atlantic Avenue from Swindon to the Atlantic (Ocean that is). Not only are there great shops, bars, coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants, but there are also fountains, sculptures, a drawbridge (that opens periodically to let large boats through) and loads of people all along the route. If you get tired, stop for ice cream, a coffee, or a beer - there are lots of choices along the route,

Great place to people watch. Always crowded with a diverse group of people. There is a great variety of restaurants and bars be as well as shops. Most interesting time of year is January through March.

Loved this stretch of street filled with bars and restaurants. You have a hundred choices of bars and restaurants with a bunch of art galleries and high end gift stores thrown into the mix. This is one of the most attractive and lively areas you’ll find in Florida - we loved it any day of the week.

The one hundred foot Christmas tree is a marvel to behold and the merry go round is a delight. If you have a young spirit you will find it renewed on Atlantic Ave. follow your ride with a great meal at one of the many restaurants

My friend and I stopped for lunch and a casual stroll. People watching, window shopping and admiring architecture was a great way to spend an afternoon.

A diverse plethora of venues beginning with the beautiful library, the fun Tennis Stadium that is host to many top shelf players and tournaments to the many wonderful dining options. Nightlife is not to be missed!

If you are meeting friends/family for a meal, and want a choice of places, Atlantic Ave is your best option. Multiple types of restaurants, some interesting shops, lots of parking.

There are so many amazing places to enjoy and explore on Atlantic Ave. There are great shops, restaurants for all tastes and budgets. You can walk a mile, enjoy the great weather and really see what Defray Beach is all about.

Atlantic Avenue is a very great place to spend some time at. There is a variety of restaurants which you can choose. There are also clothing stores that you can go into. Not only that but it is walking distance from the beach. My experience in this location was very good. The restaurant that I chose to go to was very pleasant. The restaurant that I chose to go to was Roco’s Tacos. The service was good and the food was excellent. After I went to the restaurant I walked alongside the stores and bought a couple of clothing items. Then, I went into stores where they had multiple art portraits which was very entertaining. Finally I walked for a few minutes until I reached the beach where I spent the rest of my day at. This attraction is a good place for people of all age which is very beneficial. There were many families, couples, as well as groups of teenagers.

It used to be a big nothing. But over past 20 years it became quite the "Drag" from the Ocean up about 12 blocks filled with shops and restaurants.

This avenue is where lots of Del Ray Action is. There are great shops, ice cream, restaurants and lots and lots of people.
We have been here during busy season and quiet times... this avenue always has action!!

This street is loaded with options. From shopping to eating to browsing to just sitting with a glass of wine or coffee. It goes for blocks and blocks so make sure you got some good walking shoes. Any variety of restaurants and shopping is available on this long multi-block wonderful place to walk.
If you're really adventurous, you can walk all the way down to the intercoastal and watch the boats go by.
There are several hotels at the east end of Atlantic Avenue that are available including my favorite, The Colony Cabana and Beach Club.

After the sunsets the restaurants and bars fill up with a vibrant crowd. Downtown on Atlantic Avenue is nice, even on a week night out of season.

Nice shop and dining area, lots of food places to choose from great people watching area gets really busy at night

Downtown Delray is great to spend an afternoon, there are lots of restaurants, bars, coffee and ice cream shops. If you are into shopping there’s a good selection of stores and art galleries. There’s also a nice park for the kids.
It’s a great place to to spend the afternoon.

Atlantic Avenue is the main drag in Delray Beach, and is full of fantastic restaurants, shops and coffee bars.

We have walked Atlantic Ave from top to bottom many times and it never seems to disappoint. Even with the crowds walking the strip you never feel rushed or cramped. There is always live music playing somewhere and you can just stand on the sidewalk and listen to these great musicians play. The shops are bustling with customers and the restaurants are always full. The group must be doing something right. The only negative thing is trying to drive down the street and trying to find parking. Can be a challenge. Other than that Atlantic Ave is a great experience.

A smaller version of Main St up north, very busy, hard to park, many restaurants, some street people, fun!

Came to town to visit the shops and restaurants. The streets are clean and the downtown area full of fine shops and restaurants. Relaxing day

Lots of vibrancy. Ranges from fine dining to outdoor bars, high end shops to Florida kitsch. Well worth a few hours to stroll. Despite the hustle and bustle doesn’t feel crowded. May be able to score street parking but more likely on side streets. Runs perpendicularly into the ocean and breach.

So many good restaurants and a natural buzz in this area. Strolling around in the evening is a pleasure and choices for great food extensive. Not many better anywhere.

I loved the area, great view, nice people, nice places! I loved the idea of little places around the avenue. The beach there is amazing!

DELRAY BEACH - Every American city, for
No matter how small, there is that street where everything happens. In Del Ray Beach, Atlantic Avenida is this street. It extends to the beach and is full of bars, shops and restaurants. Impeccable conservation, in fact like the entire city.

It’s a great location for strolling to/from the beach. Lots of restaurants and little beach shops line the street. Lovely hidden gem in south Florida

Atlantic Avenue is a great place walk along see the all the people, the different types stores to shop in and the Restaurants. So many different styles of restaurants to choose from. There is entertainment galore. Then you can walk around Old School Square that is like a Park.Atlantic Avenue is just a great place to visit.

Great shops and restaurants; fun during the day as well as at night. All family owned restaurants, which we love, and all have outside seating to enjoy the nice weather and people watch.

Restaurants, Bars, Shopping and the Intracoastal waterway. People watching and great vibes. Love Atlantic Avenue. ❤️

I have lived and worked in Delray for the last 20 years Atlantic Ave is a wonderful place to visit for everything we have dined at several restaurants as well as shopped and gone to many shows There's so many activities' you wont want to miss it even ELVIS on Monday nights at Johnnie Browns restaurant GREAT!!!!!! 50 0cean has a great menu as well as a fabulous view Just to mention a few :) lots for all ages

Atlantic Ave is the place to be for Brunch Lunch Dinner and more. There are a plethora of great restaurants all along the ave. Most of them are good and some are really great. If you're stopping by in season make sure to get a res or be willing to wait 45 minutes plus at rush times from November to April. Parking is difficult but there are a couple of municipal garages that are affordable and they work with the park mobile app so that's a huge plus. I'd definitely say this is the place to be. Especially if you want some semblance of the bustle of the city but the laid back atmosphere of a small beach town.

Atlantic Avenue is a beautiful palm tree lined downtown area with shops, businesses, and restaurants. They have a great fountain in the avenue. We were on our way to one of their fine restaurants.

Atlantic Avenue has it all including surrounding areas. If you like shopping, eating, and browsing in art galleries Atlantic Avenue is the place to go. It has a boutique atmosphere with many unique clothing stores, a variety of local artwork, and many, many different restaurants with menus from all over the world. Atlantic Avenue also borders Pineapple Grove which is the art community. The Arts Garage is also located off Atlantic Avenue where they have art from new and upcoming artists and wonderful show venues. The area also has a Green Market on Saturdays. If you want to spend a relaxing day then walking Atlantic Avenue is the place to go.

East Atlantic in Delray Beach Fl goes to the ocean with a beautiful beach and some fine old dining establishments across the street. Shops, boutiques, bars, bistros, restaurants ate on both sides of the historic downtown. The East side extends past the playhouse but redevelopment is in progress. Close by is a brand new multiplex. West Atlantic is more strip malls with unusual restaurants, items, and views. There is even a flea market on West Atlantic.

Great collection of art galaries, restaurants and shops leading all the way to the beach. Expect a lot of music, many people walking, holding hands, walking their dogs enjoying the sights. Parking anywhere near Atlantic is expensive which has seemed to cut down on the foot traffic. Still, Atlantic avenue is a great place to visit for lunch and daytime stroll and also has a booming night life - fun for all ages!

Awesome shops and restaurants. They have special events also. Nice place to go to hang out, eat and shop....even only window shop

A great street maybe the best in fla goes all the way to the ocean. Loaded with shops, you name it Atlantic ave has it.
Many great restaurants and cafes line both sides of the Ave, it's a foodies delight. Italian, steak houses, Japanese, Chinese, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, this street has it all. Walk all the way to the water and there are many great spots to dine facing the water.

This place is awesome, everything is within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and nice hotels. The prices are very reasonable.

Best place in Delray Beach , I normally do there every Thursday for dinner and dance , in ocean one they makes you feel like family, totally recommend

There are so many unique restaurants, bars, shops and galleries. On Friday evening the place was so active with such a variety of people. All ages were gathered together enjoying a beautiful Southern Florida Evening.

Nice walk, relaxing, something to do (or drink) for everyone. Scenery, shopping, restaurant of all kinds, really a place to relax and enjoy, even if it is simply to sit and watch.

Fabulous! The beach is terrific! People are friendly, a lot of different restaurants, and a fantastic Farmer's Market every Saturday.

Atlantic Avenue takes you to a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars for all ages and styles. Very alive spot for a meal or just browse around.

This place is happening! Lined with terrific restaurants and great shopping there is something for everyone!

Atlantic Ave in Delray beach is a happening scene day and night. From the ultra fancy dining to the ice cream stores there is something for everyone. You can listen to live music at Johnny Browns or just window shop in the eclectic stores on the Ave. Great for families as well as the singles crowd.

Not relaxing with noise not sure why Delray does not control this great shops everything Nice people but humors me to see folks on motor cycle with ear covering but they rev ending next to you

This is where the action is in Delray Beach, Florida! Lots of great bars, restaurants, shops, boutiques,& ice cream parlors. The intercoastal is here and the beach. There are so many options to choose from. There is also a lot of convenient parking, including valet services & the Old Schoolhouse Square parking lot. You can take advantage of the Delray Downtowner free bus or hitch a ride on a golf cart! Every Saturday there is a farmer's market as well as many street fests, concerts & local activities.

We enjoyed walking up and down this area. Great galleries to walk through, and some nice shops. Many great restaurants! Plenty of variety for everyone and varying prices for all. Good spot when in the area for a drink, or wine or a nice meal. Plenty to explore and find music later at night too!

What's on your mind to do today?
Atlantic Avenue has something for everyone:
Shopping
Restaurants
Ice Cream
Pizza
CheeseSteaks (like Philadelphia)
Pinball (just off Atlantic)
Mini Golf (just off Atlantic)
Live Bands nightly
Free Friday night concerts
Theater (The Crest)
Take a walk from Swinton Avenue all the way east toward Delray Beach and you'll see what I mean.
Parking is easy and convenient in many parking lots located conveniently off Atlantic Avenue.
Have a desire for Jamaican food, Vegan cuisine, Thai, Spanish/Mexican....then just stroll "The Ave".
Steaks, sushi, sake, tequila, rock and roll....The Ave has it!!!
Elvis Presley, Rod Stewart, Blues, Rock, Jazz, Classical...Delray Beach's #ATLANTICAVENUE has it......
Some make plans to see what I mean and come on down.....
#SeeYouOnTheAve

If you travel to boca or Delray beach you must visit Atlantic Avenue with all restaurants and shops. Anytime of the day morning or evening it's busy here and never get bored or tired of it. Love it here.

I walked Atlantic Ave from the railroad tracks to the beach (including crossing the intracoastal draw bridge). It seemed very clean and offered a wide variety of shops and restaurants on either side of the street.

Fun and bustling downtown with a lot of good food, shops and art galleries. They close the street off for major events and host vendors, street musicians, etc.

My wife & I always enjoy our visits to Atlantic Ave in Downtown Delray. Most Everything is within walking distance. We like to stroll along the Ave & visit many of the eateries & Bars. Often enjoy an appetizer & glass of wine at a few different locations. Great night out. Crowd is very age diversified as well. Something for everyone.

During the day its sort of the postcard (literally in many cases) tourist experience of the revitalized, hipster downtown with cobblestones and a beach flair with the Atlantic Ocean at the eastern end near A-1A. At night its more debauched, with a ton of nightclubs and live music making it pretty lively) Overall, there are a good variety of restaurants and shops to explore, though it tends to be a pretty pricey strip in comparison to alternatives in the area.

The service was great - the food good. We had lunch and it was solid- no one left hungry and everyone enjoyed their food. Did it redefine lunch - no. It was good.

Morning, afternoon or evening Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach is a great place to be. The array of restaurants and cuisines is amazing and growing. There is also shopping, art galleries and amazing beach at the east end. While we wish that the people responsible for zoning would do a better job of keeping at least a little bit of the architecture and feel that made Delray quant and wonderful, Turning it into just another concrete and glass main street just does not make sense although it is still a great place to be.

Full of excellent restaurants and so very nice stores. Also home to several art shows.
Very busy on weekends even during the summer.
Now they have pay parking on the Avenue.

So many great restaurants to choose from-everything from steaks to sushi to burgers.also shops galore! Street view s crazy busy- so would recommend their free trolley service every half hour vs trying to drive if after 10 am. Bumper to bumper traffic and extremely limited parking. Best to walk and take it all in.

Not only have I been coming here for years ... I am pleased to have introduced Atlantic Avenue to various friends and family for years too .....

Good street to walk for shopping and eats plenty of restaurants but some of them are duds so choice wisely

Atlantic Avenue continuously improves the strip. It gets closer and closer to I-95 and Atlantic Ave. It begins with a cute gallery on the North side of the street. A new Marriott further down, then store fronts with sitting outside, the professional tennis courts, then cross over Swinton Ave, an original school house is located on the Northside of the street and front this point on as you head East and the side streets in Pineapple Grove. There are a collection of various eating restaurants that will satisfy most food critics ranging in price to cheap eats to expensive. Want quiet ambience, you can find it in Pineapple Grove. A safe walking community that has all the amenities of a large city in a laid back seaside atmosphere. We make it a point to visit Delray Beach when we visit South Florida. Highly recommend this area that gives all interests from young ones to the young at heart a great time. Food restaurant galore, indoor & outside entertainment, art galleries , etc..

Lots of things to do, places to eat and shop. It’s where the action is in Delray Beach and great to stroll through

Atlantic Avenue seems to have it all - shopping, bars, restaurants, even galleries. I was shocked at how crowded it was - but then it does lead to the beach, so tourists seeking a respite from the sun flock here.
We visited because on this street is a great needlepoint shop, ‘Stitches by the Sea,’ and I was looking for a belt canvas. There are a number of lovely canvasses there as well as yarns and flosses. The owners are very helpful, too.
Even though that was our ultimate destination it was fun to see the other shops along the street. Traffic at the noon hour was crowded - as was the sidewalk. During the evening hours this street gets even more popular I’m told. Would be a fun place to wander again.

Just strolling down the avenue you pass galleries, clothes and gift shops plus the odd bohemian throwback to the sixties. Generally an up-market area, many restaurants reflect this, like the Oyster Bar and other seafood bars. However, for those on a budget, eat at lunchtime. Ocean One offers a lunchtime menu where every dish is $4.99 with beers at $3, Lemongrass Asian bistro’s lunches are smaller portions of a selection of their evening meals and are fresh and delicious and you can customise how spicy you want them. For really great value try El Camino tapas bar on a Tuesday when all tacos are $2.99! On a Monday try El Camino’s chicken fajitas: one meal is enough for two people and the margaritas are just $3 on a Monday lunchtime … but don’t have more than two or you’ll sleep the rest of the day! If all that’s not enough, there are three gelaterias to choose from as you stroll back to the beach. If you are there long enough, check out the free concerts in College Square on Friday evenings.

Imagine a street in Florida with shops and restaurants that is not a mall or a shopping center. Hard to imagine in Florida because it almost never exists. But that is Atlantic Avenue. Almost makes Florida seem like it has real cities - well, let's not go that far. But if you are after actual night life with people, music, shops, restaurants- this is the place to visit.

Restaurants, Bars, Ice Cream Shops, Late night shopping and Music. During "Season" it is wall-to wall people on the streets and it is becoming just as packed off season.

Very cool Avenue, with an extraordinary amount of bars, restaurants, and stores. An exciting scene day and night, awesome people and great atmosphere make this a must see

Great dining options along the Avenue. Goes all the way to the ocean, with galleries, shops, good people watching. On one walk, I got to see the drawbridge operate over the Gulf Stream waterway. On another walk, a big train cut across the Avenue. Impressive boats. Festive atmosphere. Enjoyable place to stroll.

A great place to spend the day shopping and eating. At night the place comes alive, so many restaurants it’s hard to chose just one. If you’re here in March you must experience “Savour the Avenue”. It’s a fundraiser in which 15-20 restaurants compete for the best tablescape. Tables are lined up end to end in the center of Atlantic Ave. Food is great and wine keeps coming!

I feel alive walking down Atlantic Avenue because anything goes. Diversity to the max from hipsters, to baby boomers, to wanna be's, to pups being walked in strollers. Good restaurants, probably overpriced, but hey it's part of the fun. I like the Cuban and Greek restaurant, but I can't think of their names. It's funky, it's fun, it's overpriced, but its not like your hanging out every single night. If you really want ole American, go to Docs and add up your calories past 1,000 for dinner, but it's worth it!

What a great street. They almost every type of restaurant imaginable. From pizza, sushi, Cuban, taco, Italian, Mexican and several upscale steakhouses plus more.
Good for walking and people watching.
Also some very nice shops.

Good area with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel.

The Atlantic Ave section of Delray Beach is lively. There is something for just about everyone ranging from restaurants to galleries.

Atlantic Avenue has a wide variety of shops and restaurants and activities . Always something happening between the beach on the eastern end to the tennis center on the western boundaries . Beautiful walk and people watching and so many great restaurants . Personal favorites are Kilwins ice cream and paddle boarding on the ocean and the intercostal .

I must say that the buildup I received from friends and relatives resulted in my immense disappointment upon arrival. Everyone mentioned fabulous stores...restaurants and upscale galleries. I found, empty storefronts and for
Lease signs everywhere. To be bothered by hucksters trying to lure you into their stores is the worst ! Note to Chamber of Commerce....this kind of atmosphere chases people away....
All and all.....it’s a good walking area ...

Atlantic Avenue has something for everyone in your family - shopping, great restaurants, great coffee shops, bars and even true Italian gelato.
Great place to spend an evening after a day at the beach!

It was nice to stroll after dinner. We walked down to the intracoastal but the walkway was narrowed due to construction and repaving. The kids played on the playground and the equipment was nice but the local neighbors came out too.

Atlantic avenue is a very nice area about 10 blocks (not 100% the size) but if filled with restaurants, art galleries, stores, etc. great place to visit if you are in/near Delray or Fort Lauderdale.

The people watching on this street is so much fun On Friday night the street was filled with young people and the women were all dressed up. The rest of the weekend people were mostly casual. It was fun sitting outside sipping a beverage and watching people have fun.

Great selection of restaurants and shops. Awesome for people and automobile watching. Some establishments give better service than others. Some hidden gems on the side streets.

Were here visiting relatives the east coast of Florida is much breezier than the west coast due to the Atlantic
The views here were great and very close to the beach
Great for people watching and walking

Atlantic is the main street with all the action. You have some great places to eat and drink. It's a great place to stroll around and people watch. Stop, have some food, ice cream or a drink. Maybe just sit and relax on a bench too. I would say you can have a great 3 mile walk if you want - depending on how long you want to go.

From the Atlantic beaches to Swinton Ave. and beyond, food, shopping and entertainment. Add more free parking than and town on the Coast, valet parking galore a free shuttle bus from the beach to the Tri-rail station, and a free pickup in a golf cart to take you around town and you have one of the best experiences in any tourist area in the world. In season or not there are plenty of locals because it is to good to go anywhere else.

Lots of fun shops to browse through especially the ladies shoe and clothing stores. The glass art store is another favorite of mine as are the accessory/jewelry type stores. Then there are plenty of places to stop for a drink or dinner as the perfect ending to the day.

It used to be good. It was not a stuffy town like Boca Raton. You had free parking until recently, but the increase in visitors created a problem. Much like the current treasury department, the only way they can fix things is to make them worse. Raising rates only hurts people and jobs not lowering demand. Delray Beach is doing the same thing. They give parking spaces away to business for Valet (BTW I paid taxes for this roads). They added meters, and now they have parking Gestapo to write tickets. Park your little scooter in a large unused portion of the parking street and you get a ticket. Something they didn't do years ago. Maybe revenue needs, but it's no longer that friendly city I went to for 20 years. Might as well go to Boca Raton, they have better free parking, less drug addicts and classy people. They may take your money, charge a little for parking, but at least they are up front with what they do, and they maintain their area better than Delray!!!!

We came to Atlantic Ave for the street art show. They had this thing nailed. Tons of vendors, great art, all kinds of food and lots of security. Spent almost the whole day browsing, buying and eating. All the regular stores were open as well. A must see and do.

Nice shopping avenue with busy life and cozy park with possibility to take boat tour, but not so many other things to see except art galeries

This area of Delray gets happening in the night time. This is when all of the clubs and restaurants have entertainment or bands. It is also when most people come to this part of the city. The only negative is that parking is hard to find and can be pricey if you are valeting your car.

Loved Delray & Atlantic Ave. So many food choices in walking distance. Great walks to walk off the meal and head to one of several ice cream shops.

When visiting Delray Beach you should definitely take a trip down to Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray. Lots of restaurants, stores, and hotels. Nice to walk around. Also during the winter months a lot of happenings.

The best part of downtown Delray Beach is walking around Atlantic Avenue! Every block has restaurants and boutiques. Just be aware the boutiques are very expensive. We ate at several restaurants and they all have outdoor seating. I never had a bad meal!

This was a nice walk on a light weekday. It gets very hot after 12:00pm and recommend you walk in the morning. It's nice to stop in and see the various restaurants and shops along the way. However there are a lot of real estate offices which we found to be off-putting.
Also, make sure you use the restroom before you start. We found no public restrooms along the way.

Atlantic Ave is main thoroughfare and has vehicle traffic on the street at all times of the day and night. The locals seem to love to drive their loud vehicles, motorcycles and dirt bikes on Atlantic Ave and rev them up to the loudest point they can. There are signs posted on the street prohibiting loud exhaust noises but that doesn't seem to deter many.

Atlantic Avenue gets VERY crowded in the "season". Not being snowbirds, we avoid going there this time of year. Over priced, rushed, crowded, too much work. MANY bars and coffee shops.

So many restaurants, bars, stores and places to hang out in East Delray Beach. This is the liveliest place in Delray to hang out eat, drink and listen to music. Day and night there are always people on the street.

Stretching from the ocean across the bridge over the intercostal and beyond the railroad crossing. There are a lot of nice looking shops with clothing that looks good but probably pricey and loads of restaurants offering a wide range of food for all budgets. Most offering happy hour deals on drink and food. Very pretty at night when lit by twisted light strands and easy to walk around.

We love to stroll East Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. There are lots of places to eat and some small and varied stores to window shop All types of food. There is valet parking and parking garages. In the square they sometimes have music. Gets very crowded in season (November-April) and you must have reservation in the restaurants for diner.

One of the best beach towns in all of Florida
Gorgeous well maintained beach
Great restaurants
Very walkable to everything

Warning this place has the most user unfriendly and aggressive parking police I’ve ever seen. One side of the street after 5 PM is reserved for valet parking. There are three tow companies that show up promptly at five and can hardly wait to take cars away. Highly recommend valet parking in the evening as there is no free parking anywhere near Atlantic Avenue. Very user-friendly. There is a constant traffic jam on Atlantic Avenue. It is almost as if the city of Delray wishes Tourists would not come to their city.
The side of the street reserved for valet parking is public parking during the day. So it’s very unusual to run into public parking on a street that becomes privately operated valet companies at night. Beware of the Delray parking Nazis.

Great place to people watch, eat, shop, or take a nice walk. Check out some of restaurants happy hours and have a drink

Fun awaits- Dining, entertainment, night life, breakfast, lunch, happy hour, all types of cuisine and best of all is the beach and people watching.

Growing up in Washington, DC, I liken Atlantic Avenue to Georgetown on M Street between Wisconsin Ave. and Georgetown University. Full of eclectic shops, mini-art galleries, and restaurants of all ethnic flavors. And a continuous stream of both locals and tourists either walking, bicycling, cycling, or motoring. You will find families, young, 30 and 40 somethings, and of course a very own senior community. On weekends there is always some kind of event like the famous GreenMarket on Saturdays right next to the Crest Theater and adjacent to the public parking lot. And get a copy of the Delray Newspaper to find what events are taking place. But I think the best part is that you're just minutes from the Intercoastal and beautiful Delray Beach and ocean.

Atlantic Ave in Delray is like Florida used to be. A great variety of restaurants, bars and shops for about a half mile or so to stroll and experience. Parking is tight or valet, but if you go a block or two north you can park free.

Great central main drag of restaurants and shops. Have farmers market and other shows weekly as well.

Atlantic Ave has some many wonderful dining options and many with outdoor seating which of course is great to enjoy the lovely weather and do some great people watching. This is our 2nd time back in Delray and we love all the dining and that at the end of Atlantic ave is the beautiful ocean.

It’s quiet now but during Dec-April, it can get lively with traffic down the Ave. Use the side streets to maneuver and use the avenue to cruise. Lots of dining options, live music, shopping and arts! I love Delray!

I valet my car at Atlantic Crossing to go to dinner at Hampton Social. They delivered my car to me and when i got home that nite our whole front panel was smashed in - the car was in perfect shape when we dropped it off. I tried going back there the day after and no one was at the site nor is there a phone # or email to call.
I will certainly not valet my car there - if anyone knows a customer service number please advise. - Cindy

Lots of restaurants and bars. Live music at several locations. Lively crowds with people of all ages. Families walking about as well as couples and young adults out for music or dinner.

Atlantic ave has a couple of window. Late at night the music comes out, all the young people troll the streets, and it’s packed. Used to go drink and listen to music. 20 years later I join the happy hour crowd and go for an early dinner. Never seem to be able to wait around till 10 or sometimes 9 for music. It’s a lot of fun, young and old. Many many places to eat from beer pubs, to fine steak restaurants and seafood joints. It would take a summer of weekends to try all the places. Not a bad place there just $$ or $$$. You pick. Try each place as a happy hour and then when you find food and atmosphere you like, go back for the full Monty.

East Atlantic Avenue has matured, developed into a cosmopolitan walkway, an avenue that has a variety of places to eat, including ethnic foods and music, and many restaurants have excellent Happy Hour. There are exciting and fashionable places to shop. I enjoy sitting, with a cup of coffee, reading and or people watching, I appreciate the diversity that has finally arrived on East Atlantic. East Atlantic's benches are keep clean and one can sit there and feel safe. West Atlantic has a library, a hotel and a few places to dine, but I am looking forward to seeing more creativity, multinationalland I think progress is moving nicely.

A place of special charm. The streets very well maintained. Beautiful and cozy, ideal for walking and admiring its places. An interesting art school.

It's a typical tourist city street. Lot's of restaurants, overpriced shops and a few art galleries. If you're in Delray, you will go here. It is not that special to deserve a special trip.

The signage is so lousy even a nearby policewoman could not explain to me why I got a ticket. And the highlight was: I could not even pay with a European Visa credit card. Do your homework, Delray.

After a long day on the beach, what could be better than a night out on the town. The "town" is Delray Beach, of course and a night out is a stroll down Atlantic Avenue. There are shops to browse in, galleries to gawk at, bars to drink at and amazing restaurants to tempt the most discriminating diner. It's all here, from pizza to fudge. Outdoor tables make it especially fun to
"People watch" when you finally decide on which fine eating establishment has attracted you.
Sit, relax and enjoy, on the Avenue.

Atlantic is the place to see and be seen. With fabulous cars and fabulous people in addition to some great restaurant choices and some unique art galleries and shops.
Our favorite gallery is Blue Galleries filled with pop art and decent prices.
We love Opa Greek restaurant too.
Parking is terrible though. Prepare to either pay $15 for the use of the lot or $35 for the inevitable parking ticket.

One Thursday night a month there is Jazz on the Avenue. It is not to be missed if you are in Delray. If you are with a group, then the fewer cars you take the easier it will be for you to park.
Ocean One is a delightful and INEXPENSIVE restaurant in Atlantic Plaza where you can eat inside or outside with your pet! The shops are great too.
It is an eclectic walk and feels good while outside and window browsing. . .

Taylor was a wonderful guide and host
She was insightful and charming. The places we visited were terrific. Great food and the opportunity to talk to the owners and restaurant staff and ask questions about the preparation of the food. I highly reccomend taking this tour but dont eat lunch!

This is the main road in town. It is upscale but affordable. Beautiful well kept, trees and flowers line the street. Patio and sidewalk seating in addition to indoor seating. Great stores and pleasant people. Many really good restaurants. Happy hour is a big thing in this town and prices are great. Don't hesitate to visit.

Loved Delray Beach, lots of good entertainment, shopping, dining, live music, there is something for everybody
to enjoy.

I love all the stores, all the restaurants. You can find anything and everything.
You will have a great time there.
Make sure you use the Delray Downtowner. It's the best way to get around.
Make sure to tip the drivers. That's how they get payed.

In Brussels Belgium the downtown area is lined with restaurants and clubs. Downtown Delray is very similar. Many different kinds of food, different atmospheres from trendy beautiful people, to Irish pubs. If you walk up and they tell you it's 50min wait you just walk 30 more feet and find a different restaurant. In the beginning the food was maybe universally good, but since Delray is now a destination city for retirees there pallets have diminished the need for the best food. We are constantly shocked with the results from a restaurant that a departing couple said was great only to find it was maybe just good at that. I guess after 70 it's all about texture. Be that as it may, there are plenty of fine places to eat. I recommend dropping in for the many happy hour lite plates and reasonable wine. After sampling various spots, spring for a full menu. Off the Ave a 1/2 a block is generally more reasonable (just like Brussels). Not as stuffy as Boca Raton. Not as fast foodish as Boynton Beach, and not as expensive as crossing south to Broward county. Can't really go wrong twice.

Delray Beach is great - you can walk all of Atlantic Avenue. Many, many restaurants along the street and well worth the visit. You have shops, restaurants, bars, Starbucks, Candy shops, ice cream parlors and so on and you end at the Ocean. One of the best beaches in Florida. They also have a free downtown shuttle. Parking can be tough, but there is many areas to valet, if you prefer. It is also very safe destination.

First time visiting Del Ray beach and Atlantic Ave. There is a plethora of places to eat and enjoy the nightlife. Many different types of resteraunts and bars/clubs for all ages. We visited 2 resteraunts, 2 clubs and 5 bars. It was a fun and busy night.

Atlantic Avenue is a great place for a stroll, especially if you are looking for a place to eat. There are so many options. You can walk on any stretch from the water to nearly I-95 and have no shortage of options. The best are is near Route 1.

Nice to see this popular street still draws a crowd. However, we were extremely disappointed to see CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines being ignored at every turn. We saw crowed bars and restaurants, both indoor and outdoor seating, large gatherings of young and old people, unmasked and not distancing. All amidst the rapid resurgence of this pandemic. Disturbing to say the least.
Determined not to contribute to the festering pétri dish, we opted for outdoor activities (walking to the beach, visited nearby nature preserves and private airboat tour) and in-room dining via delivery service.

When we moved to the area, Atlantic Ave was filled with independent stores and restaurants. Now the chains have moved in, Mediocre restaurants and chain stores. Shopping at Anthropologie anyone? Ugh!

Lots to down in downtown Delray. Atlantic Ave has some great restaurants and other attractions. Great for day time or night time. Worth visiting.

Atlantic Ave. runs right to the beach! Best restaurants and boutiques in Palm Beach county! Art galleries as well!

This street is happening! There are lots of people, restaurants, cafes, boutiques and electricity. You will never be bored strolling along Atlantic Ave. There are also interesting activities just off Atlantic Ave like the Pineapple district and markets.

What a beautiful little gem! Great place to go with the fam and hang out. Lots of places for drinks and dinner. Take comfy shoes there is lots to see and do.

Whether it is a good meal, good drinks, and good music Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach is where to go. Each visit I make to the area shows me something new and adds to the excitement of the area.

Always an interesting walk, but not recommended for driving, unless you have supreme patience! Lots of good stores and restaurants, and a wide variety of humans to observe.

Downtown Delray Atlantic Avenue is a vibrant location which offers great restaurants, bars ,shops and amenities. Great Night Life.

Not only Atlantic ave but now side streets are developing great restaurants and small shopping areas

Everytime we come to Delray we spend a couple of evenings down here. Great restaurants and shopping.

The Avenue is the heart of Delray. There are scads of fine restaurants and shops.
You can get ice cream and treats everywhere. Great place to run and bike and walk.
The art disc trick is Pineapple Grove. You can buy art and meet the artists. Really cool!

DELRAY BEACH: sOne of the nicest area to visit in So Florida.. It used to be a "quaint" Delray town area to walk around in, to shop, eat, drink, or just sit and relax on one of the outside benches, or at the sidewalk Restaurants. the only Caveat is.. the parking.! It was bad enough without parking meters, when many areas and restaurants only catered to valet parking, or when they turned a Bank parking lot into a $6.00 + self park when the Bank is closed. Making things worse, is the overbuilding of more condos one block from Atlantic Avenue, and the Town has decided to add Parking Meters along The Avenue , which makes it almost impossible to visit after 5 pm when most parking spots are taken, and parking time is limited to an hour or two.

The Avenue is just loaded with shops, coffee, desserts and lots of great eateries. The food covers the spectrum from high end to super casual to most every cuisine. Of course seafood is what you'll find in most places. But you'll discover some hidden gems of coffee shops and unique gift shops along the way. Take advantage of the Downtowner app to hail a free golf cart ride anywhere up and down the Avenue or Pineapple Grove. It's a great service for those hot days.

What a nice area! Great restaurants and nice stores to browse and shop.I give this area Two thumbs up!

Lots of clothing shops but some are on the higher side !!! Bathing suit shops are over the top , very expensive !! Interesting art galleries you can browse. Many restaurant choices to choose from. Be careful of drivers ! They are fast, don’t seem to be any rules here. I heard of someone run over by a truck and almost died!

dining and retail.parking is a nightmare. good luck.this place has become quite popular with tourist and locals alike, but unfortunately the parking situation is absolutely terrible. until the city of delray beach addresses this issue our visits to atlantic avenue will be few and far between.

Very busy street (we were there Fri and Sat so maybe less so during week?) with lots of shops and restaurants. A few places a bit down scale but all felt safe. Go off a block or so for fewer bit less expensive and touristy places. Quite a long street so took us two nights to see it all. Worth the time.

This main area offers so many options for fantastic shops, restaurants, and bars. So glad we stayed right on the avenue near the beach!

I work on the ave and deal with the crowds in the winter and then enjoy the summers more - lots of stores, restaurants and things to see and do... something for everyone

The Avenue as it’s known is packed with bats, restaurants, arcades, galleries, clothing stores, candy stores, ice cream shops, something for everyone. Hot the beach end and enjoy the beach. You could spent 2 weeks and not hit the same place twice

This street is alive with wonderful boutique stores during the day and many fine restaurants at night. We enjoyed walking and shopping buying clothes and shoes.

All kinds of shops and restaurants. Great for walking and being out and about. We walk from 2nd Avenue {where we stay} all the way to the beach {about 3/4 of a mile}. The tennis center is around the corner and the courts are in great condition. And we enjoy the Tennis tournament each year in February.

The Ave is filled with fun restaurants , great happy hours that are always changing and cute shops. Use the Downtowner to get around and you just tip and let’s you forget about parking on a busy eve.

A walk down Atlantic Ave. Delray Beach, can be a truly exciting Florida afternoon adventure. Starting at the "Famed" Tennis Courts (Pro Matches to live musical events ) West. to the ocean, East, and return will take you past many fine shops, bars, historic sites, parks, museums, art galleries and more. Just crossing the bridge over the intercoastal and surrounding green banks is delightful. Allow at least two hours for sightseeing, browsing plus time for lunch at cafes, dives or restaurants from plain to upscale. The contrasts from Old Florida to ultra modern architecture is remarkable. Take in the lobby of The Colony Hotel (old Florida) and the beautifully designed new Seagate just across the street and .several short blocks east and you will experience a lesson in history. By the way there are some excellent dining spots at the Seagate. Along the way choose modern restaurants of every variety or an Irish pub rebuilt to it's original specs. Joints to fine dining exist side by side along "Atlantic", You will see Fine Art galleries and tacky tee shirt shops, pizza parlors. ice cream and candy shops, tailored and trendy clothing boutiques, all in a three block stretch. Finally a beautiful beach and wonderful ocean views end the east bound walk; but this will be followed by an equally enjoyable return walk back to the Tennis Court area. All this at no cost other than metered or lot parking and shopping and food.

Great spot to hang out and have a few. Even better , come here on a nice night ,if it’s rainy don’t bother.

Lots of restaurants and stores and galleries. The store quality seems very good and the restaurants are hopping, some with live music. This street is fun visit and ends at one great beach. There are a lot of galleries but as a painter myself they are to decorative. You can find some more interesting art on the side streets. Well worth the visit.

Have lived in Florida 25 years and have never been to Atlantic Avenue what a great street will be back again to have dinner and walk around what a fun place to hang out

Love the vibe. Bars and restaurants filled with younger crowd, but my wife and I are 61 and 75 and we're on the avenue every w/end. Lots of great happy hours too. Some best bets: Tramonti for Italian, Kilwins for ice cream, Lemon Grass for Thai, and Cut 42 for steaks! Many other good spots as well. Would avoid Roco Tacos. Lousy drinks, poor food and a crowd that doesn't know the difference.
Great people watching. In season or off season, reservations a must..
If you can't find something you like on the Avenue, you are definitely hard to please! Valet parking highly recommended.

Visited several times during a recent visit to Delray. Good variety of bars, restaurants and shops, which change as you progress down the avenue towards the ocean. Great atmosphere at nighttime and several bars offering live music. Good fun.

Such a fun street to browse, have coffee, grab a light snack or have a fancy meal with friends. Not to be missed!

Going up and down Atlantic avenue is a fast pace street. A lot of 20,30 year olds at night. I am older I go down during the morning.

This was our second visit to Delray Beach. We have close friends from New York who live there and in nearby. Our first impression several years ago was that it was too young and "suburban" in feel for us to spend much time there. This past month, our impression changed as soon as we spent more time exploring. Great boutiques, multi-cuisine dining scene which is growing every day, quality hotels , nice homes, plus a great place for walking made us think about renting next winter. Hey Briteline---put in a stop!

We've been coming to Palm Beach County for years but this week was our first time coming to Delray Beach and we'll definitely be back. It's one of the nicest strips in the area with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars to visit. The people are friendly, it's clean, and there are great options for everyone, young and old. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer, but we're already planning on coming back in a few months.

For what was a simple nice cozy neighborhood in South Florida, it's morphed into Boca Raton on foot. Overpriced drink fancy smancy food and turn low key vibe is dead. No longer a FL feel. If you want to see what Delray and atl ised to be like go visit lake Worth. It's not been killed by the greed Gene... yet.

Had a variety of shops and restaurants to pick from. Traffic can be a consideration- area is quite congested. Inter coastal bridges do open and hold up traffic.

Great night life! Plenty places to eat and all types of food! Tried 95% of the restaurant on the strip (no fast food ones) and never had a bad meal!!

Enjoy the sights, shops, stores, food, and evening entertainment. Atlantic Avenue is just minutes from anywhere in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Whenever I visit Delray Beach, I always stroll the length of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray. Quaint shops for clothes, jewelry and mind-body-spirit are in abundance the entire length. There are cafes, ice cream shops, bars and restaurants for all tastes from high end to the beach going crowd. You can cross the drawbridge over the inter-coastal and watch the bridge raise of the yachts every half hour (on the quarter hour). There’s also the public beach at the end of Atlantic Avenue where you can relax and recharge your soul at the ocean. This downtown strip is also home to many great events, such as a Bourbon & Bacon Festival... Celebrating bourbon AND bacon, I mean yeah!

Atlantic Ave was a pleasure to walk. It has many shops that ranged for every budget and age. Many restaurants for all kinds of foods, price ranges, and whether you want a leisure or quick meal.

Foods from all cultures, store front restaurants, cafes, coffee houses, ice cream shops, candy stores, galleries, speciality foods, clothing, live bands and music up and down Atlantic Ave. Something for everyone! Keep walking east and you'll end up at the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful and peaceful.

This is a great, walkable strip of unique local bars and restaurants. It's a must-do when in the area.

This was a very busy Friday evening where many of the restaurants were at capacity and lots of people were walking around.
Street parking along Atlantic was reserved for valet parking only so the best options for self parking were on the side streets.
In another time I would have liked to hang out and people watch but decided to just quickly walk through.
Japanese, American, Mexican, Italian, etc were just a sample of cuisines available. Some of the bars patrons spilled out onto the sidewalk.
Small shops, parks and city hall rounded out the other sites to see or visit.
Just ok IMO.

The overall facility was simply lovely. My only complaints involve the marble bathroom. There is no counter space and the stored towels are far away from the shower. There is no place to hang a wet bathing suit either. The breakfast was nice, not fabulous. Ask for a room on the floor above the lobby because only staff is permitted to operate the antique elevator. The hotel offers a self service laundry facility which was a much appreciated amenity. The club is magnificent and the salt water pool heavenly.

Casual or a bit dressy.....inexpensive or expensive, Atlantic Avenue has it all! Many food options and many restaurants with outdoor seating!

Atlantic is Delray’s main drag and offers a little of everything and lot of happy hours. There are high end clothing stores, salons, hotels, bars and more gas, coffee shops, restaurants and parking if you are lucky enough to find a spot. Everyone one who is in the area stops by Atlantic and so should you. If it’s Christmas it is a must stop to see the unbelievable decorated 100 foot high tree especially if you have kids.

My husband and I do date night every year during the holidays on Atlantic Avenue. What a very lively and festive atmosphere. Something for all ages. Dinner then Strolling down the Avenue to enjoy the Christmas lights and the hundred foot Christmas tree is a joy.

Atlantic Avenue has it all. Great restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. From chic to cheap, you can find it. Want pub fare where Winston Churchill ate and drank? The Blue Anchor was built in Londen in the mid 1800s, later it was disassembled, shipped to Florida and reassembled on Atlantic Ave. Talk about living History! Food from American gastro to diverse culinary delight! Take a yacht tour of the intercoastal waterway. Shop til you drop or just walk the Ave to take it all in. Don’t forget that where Atlantic Ave ends at South Ocean (A1A) Delray beach begins.

With its own charm, smell sounds, tastes, it’s all here, drum circles to dance to, ice cream in more spots than seem possible, affordable stores and very high end, it’s all here, and.... puppies are welcome to sit for a dinner as well

This street in Delray Beach is wonderful. It has great restaurants. Most of them have outdoor seating, and they are one after another. There are also very nice shops.
The street ends at the ocean, where there is a nice beach.

Great place to spend the afternoon or evening. Lots of local shops to wander through and delicious restaurants! Hard to choose which one to dine at, but all the ones I’ve tried have been incredible. You can also walk down to the beach.

Wonderful variety of quality stores on Atlantic with a fantastic choice of restaurants. A few hours walk along Atlantic is a must when visiting Delray. I'd avoid the weekend, if possible, as the traffic can be severe!!

We just loves our 2 night stay in Delray Beach. We stayed right on the avenue, hard time finding reservations. We were lucky & found 1 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn. Absolutely great stay. The avenue was bustling every night. There was some construction in front of our hotel but actually no problem to us. We Enjoyed great meals, fun shopping, a beautiful beach and great restaurants. Once at the hotel we parked the car & never needed it again. We walked all over. Loved the vibrancy of the area. We only found 1 very rude person at a restaurant that is listed as popular by beach. In the midst of such a lively stay we were totally taken back. But this event pushed us toward another restaurant with fabulous food & a great waiter. We loved our stay! Gorgeous, vibrant town with a beautiful beach. Visitor Center did have wrong info on restaurants, etc. So be sure to double check.

Down town Atlantic ave is great. It’s great during the day and even better at night. Many restaurants to choose from and plenty of action all the time.

On Atlantic Avenue in a former full-service bank, Capital One and Peet Coffee Company have combined forces to create an internet cafe/self-service bank. It's a great idea. If you pay for your coffee and snacks with a Capital One card, they give you 50% off. Pleasant and a good idea.

I love this street. I moved to Delray Beach, in large part, because of The Ave. it has everything, bars, restaurants, clothing stores, art galleries, newsstands, pharmacies, parks, wine shops, art museum. It is spectacular.

Once a year while we are here for the winter there is an Art Show on Atlantic Avenue .
It’s amazing art of all
Kinds and lots of people . The weather was terrific and the sun was shining all day . Nice shops and restaurants here , coffee and ice cream 🍦, Hagen Dazz and Kilwins and Starbucks, good food and a fun place to be .

Lots to see and do. Numerous shops and restaurants and bars. Many types of cuisine available. Great for people watching. Parking can be a problem.

Lot of options for food and desserts, great to walk around, nice atmosphere, places with good music, what's not to like!

If you like to eat, shop and be around a hopping scene, don't miss Atlantic Ave. Many shops to but anything and everything. Great restaurants that can be either quiet or jumping. It's a happening scene. Don't miss it!.

Atlantic Avenue is filled with lie, color, music, boutiques, galleries and outdoor restaurant. Great to spend day or evening hours.

There are loads of good shops, restaurants, pubs and bars to look at and to try. The boardwalk is wide enough but there is always a lot of traffic. I recommend starting at the beach end and walking all the way to the Art Gallery, have some lunch and then walk back on the other side.

Great street to wonder along . Plenty of shops, art galleries ,restaurants, clothing stores to keep every member of families happy.

Strolling along Atlantic Ave, you will see little boutiques, shops with unusual items, restaurants, and sweet treat shops. Quaint during the day but packed at night. Careful if you visit in the off season, as most of the shops are closed at night....bummer.

Walking up and down the street is a great pastime. Some great stores and something for everyone. Art, clothes, coffee, food!

Great place . Many good restaurants shops. Great to stroll and people watch. Full of "action". ......

Went to downtown Delray Beach on Atlantic Avenue tonight for the New Year's entertainment and fireworks display. The park and avenue was packed with revelers and folks out having a good time. We found it to be a small town feel and positive kid friendly environment.

It's a great little town, the people are friendly and it's so beautiful, it's about a3 min drive to the beach..you've got many shops and boutiques. Plenty of places to eat! Go take a walk through Pineapple Grove and check out the art decor! You can do fine dinning or just pick up a quick bite!...there is so much to love about downtown Delray beach!!

Delray Beach is a city that has won awards. Atlantic Ave. is where it happens. You stroll, shop, drink and eat and one or more of the many different restaurants in the area.
There are a few parking lots and street parking too. Keep in mind that sometimes you may need to go in a block or two to find a lot or a parking space.
It's a good place to people watch.

We enjoyed visiting over Christmas. We went to the Silverball Pinball Museum and then walked around and visited the huge Christmas tree. The area was very crowded and there seemed to be a lot happening.

You can't go to Del Ray without taking a walk up and down Atlantic Avenue. The ocean is there, lots of shops, many restaurants and pubs. Parking is available in a parking garage, parking lot or valet. Only if you're lucky, will you get a spot on street. Watch the Bentleys go by; the Ferraris, the Lamborghinis. Such fun!

Great place nice and friendly people, beautiful area packed of nice people and tourist, i will back for sure

Great strip to walk around at night and grab some dinner and drinks w/ friends or your signif other. A little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy from the very expensive and sophisticated to very casual. Active and loud at night. Weekends must really be crazy but surely fun. Parking is challenging so UBER back and forth. The heart of this strip is actually few blocks back from the Ocean block and A1A!
Crowded; overpriced.
This is THE hub of Delray Beach. 7 days a week: bumper to bumper traffic, no parking, over-priced bars & restaurants, super crowded every night; packed with tourists. Several high end art shops but grossly expensive. Enjoyable only before 2:00 PM when traffic is light.
