Perfect spot for shopping & entertainment

By JRingwald |

Whether you're shopping or looking to entertain the kids for a few hours this is the place to go. We've been for date night, family day and much more - there's sooo much to do.

Winter shopping

By Mabel M |

I love this mall. It is so big, it’s impossible to see and do all. They have a climbing section, a mirror maze, movie theater,so many choice as to where you can eat. Would definitely come back when I’m in town again.

Shopping mall with many varieties

By Guaciara |

Very complete shopping mall, with a wide variety of stores. We love going to TJ Maxx and eating at The Cheesecake Factory when we go there.

So fun and so big

By Martin |

We went shopping this weekend and I really thought it was a very nice mall, also gigantic and clean. We spent almost 5 hours in there and almost just had time to visit a whole level. This mall has pretty much everything you need and way more from complete restaurants to familly fun zone and escape rooms, you will find all kind of store on 3 floors plus an extention in the middle section that goes up 2 or 3 more floors. I recomend it if you are in the area and even if you like shopping and looking for something to do, you could definately easily spend a whole day in there and still have some for another day.

There is something for everyone. Good location and easy to navigate. The movie theaters are great. Good place for basic meals and some beers.

It's ok

By Sarah M |

There is a lot of selection but I find it hard to find my way around. You can never park near where you want to be and it's too crowded

First Time Visitors

By Tara S |

We were very pleased with this mall. There were so many great stores, as well as the overall environment was family friendly. The only complaint we had was that we had gotten there in the afternoon, and we were not able to get a handicap parking space, and it was difficult to drop that member of the family off at one of the main entrances, so they did not have to walk. Other than that we had an excellent time and will be coming back again!

Good for a quick getaway

By stephaniekessler |

We decided to stay in town this spring break, but found Destiny/Syracuse a great place for a quick getaway.

We enjoyed the restaurants, the shopping and our teens loved the activities. We did an escape room, 5Wits (similar to escape rooms, but less clues and more physical tasks), Canyon Climb, arcade, Mirror Maze and go karts.

Kids want to go back!

Tourist Destination

By Barbara L |

Large mall. Lot of stores and eateries. However, when we were there ended up eating in the food court as restaurants were half hour wait when they were not even busy. This was a one time visit for me and will probably not be back. Many of the stores are the same in my area.

Great shopping experience

By krisandjane2015 |

A vast shopping mall with tons of attractions and restaurants, stores and parking. Orderly and clean. Plenty of stores for every tastes from big box (Macy`s, Best Buy, JC Penney) to specialty stores (Clarks, Williams-Sonoma). A welcome shopping destination.

Just killing time!

By jennifersH9017BO |

Wow...I was at this mall years ago and was quite surprised at what it looks like now. Definitely something for everyone! I really enjoyed the outlet stores being mixed in-please consider expanding this area. My favorite shop was probably Lush. I had heard of it but was never able to experience until this visit. I didn’t really care for the edible cookie dough store. It just wasn’t my thing but it did taste and have cookie dough texture. A lot of new things offered that many other malls don’t have. Great choices to choose to eat at.

Birthday weekend

By Vanbeek17 |

This huge mall has everything - stores for young and old, Macy's - my favorite! There is so much to do, but you do spend a lot of time walking. We were there so long, we ended up eating dinner there as well.

Its A Mall

By Kriston P |

It was fine for shopping and lunch, but for a mall that large, I didn't think there was a great selection of stores. Parking was also difficult and slightly confusing.

One of the few things to do in Syracuse

By Gerbes |

This is a huge mall, almost any store is in there. They also have a sacks 5th Ave. outlet store. Also love Nordstroms Rack, look for those everywhere I go. They have an indoor go cart track, adventure course for the kids, comic book stores and countless other things to see. Parking really isn't an issue, lots of parking.

DESTINY USA! (Syracuse, NY) What a shopping Mall!!! ONE DAY SHOPPING IS NOT ENOUGH!

By hellenicottawa |

One day is not enough! The place is massive! An amazing mall visit. No matter your budget, there is shopping for everyone. High-end designer stores, Factory outlet stores, Restaurants; from fast food to Sushi places, Italian eateries, stakehouses, coffee shops nail salons movie theatres. There is also Young children entertainment also for young at heart entertainment. Hotels, right across the street. The prices for most of the stores in this mall are not only good for Americans but also for Canadians; even though there is a 25% exchange loss in the Canadian dollar. You can’t go wrong! Take your children, friends, relatives and you’ll never go wrong. They will thank you.

Fun Mall

By Allison M |

We enjoyed our afternoon at Destiny USA. This is a neat place for teenagers because of the combination of shopping and entertainment. There are lots of fun things to do as well as some good food options. We didn’t find many deals.

5th Largest in the Nation

By Trevor C |

I wanted to visit this mall because I was informed it was the 5th largest in the nation. While I was there, I thought I would be sure to visit the food court. I'm certainly glad I did. There has to be a couple of food courts for a mall this size. I visited this mall on a Sunday, and it was as if it was a Saturday. The was a large crowd in the mall on Sunday. I won't be able to comment on my journey through the entire mall - it was too large for me go through it completely. You will want to add a visit to this place in your rotation of places that you visit while in Syracuse.

Great place to visit

By Mike D |

This place has something for everyone, large anchor stores, outlets, restaurants, bowling alley, go karts, movie theatre.....i could go on and on. A "must visit" location!

Every Store You Can Think Of

By Davisfamadventures |

The Mall of Georgia is a pretty big mall. So I was blown away by Destiny! It is the biggest mall that I have ever been in. It has a Michael’s, a Best Buy, an At Home, a Wonderworks Museum, tons of outlet stores, and so many many more attractions. I truly enjoyed my shopping experience!

Watch out for gang of bicycles

By thatsarap |

Mall has under gone negative changes.
Upscale stores gone.
Hardly any heat in mall.
Now kids riding bicycles..right by Victoria secrets down to macys.. You really need to be careful here..

A very, VERY big mall

By Paul F |

The first three floors seem like a normal mall, with normal mall ambience (although there are parts that have clearly gotten more love and attention; you'll walk through a corridor and suddenly the copy-pasted Spencers and Lids are replaced by an elevator covered in vines and a multi-story rope climb).

The top floor is where this mall really shines though, IMO

The basement should be avoided (and, in fact, looks like it has been, by everyone, for several generations).

Basement made me feel like I was an archaeologist uncovering stores that had remain untouched by humans for generations--and not in a fun, quirky, "retro" way, but in an "everything's dirty and disorganized and the Burlington Coat Factory has like five coats for sale" kind of way.

I also LOVED all the nerd stores, too--I've never seen a mall with so many comic and game shops, with such a variety of stuff. Goofy Movie t-shirts?? Gilmore Girls coffee mugs?? YES PLEASE.

Prop-tip: If you wanna see the whole thing, _get there when it opens_, especially if you're visiting on a Sunday when their hours are limited. There's just too much otherwise.

Something for everyone

By Tanner Jo |

There is something here for everyone. The new section is incredible. I love the outlets.
If you're going on a Saturday night for dinner, expect to wait no matter where you go because this place is hopping.
They have a new hotel next door which is perfect for a Saturday night bar hop through the mall with friends. Every where you turn in the new section, theres a bar!
They really have catered to the younger generation.
Parking is ample.

Ultimate Destination Mall

By Kabulkathy |

We love this mall! There are so many stores! They are adding to them all the time. There are so many different restaurants. Not your usual mall fare. That along with entertainment and lodging makes this the ultimate mall destination!

Shop, Play, Eat, Repeat

By WaterGirlDreaming |

Starting with the obvious - it's Huge! You'll get your doctor-recommended 10,000 steps per day in easily. Lots of stores, of course, and lots of places to eat, some even with table service. Plenty to do for the kiddos...Wonder World, Mirror Maze, virtual reality and escape rooms, a ropes course and more. For the adults there's a comedy club, and a race track - with surprisingly fast electric cars. The whole place seems clean and well maintained. It's a fun place to spend a few hours on a cold day or plan on longer if you're a big shopper.

Plenty of Options

By Drinkwater11 |

Great spot with plenty of shopping and dining options. Just stopped on my way through, but would definitely come back again.

Gathering spot

By Charles G |

No doubt where people go when they want to eat, shop and play. It's huge. There are many stores, well designed. They is a large variety of restaurants, some huge, as well as a food court. Then they are the games, designed to please all tastes. But don't forget to bring your wallet. It's not free. Lots of parking and easy to get to. We met people at our hotel, twice, who we directed to Destiny USA to eat and visit.

Huge mall

By cheryltU8467LK |

Give yourself lots of time. Too much to see in two hours. Macy's,Burlington Coat Factory, JC Penny plus the second floor is all outlets. Several restaurants on site. Wish I had more time to shop.

First time

By eannhassett |

I love it here I love going to different malls it's fun only one thing they should have a hotel in the mall I know there's one out side but they should have one inside as well

Good lunch stop

By bbem |

We rarely shop at the mall; however, we do enjoy going to the entertainment section for lunch on occasion. I would not go in the evening or on weekends as I do not feel safe in the parking lot or food court area.

Huge

By Pegggus |

Syracuse was a pit stop after pickup of preteen daughter from summer camp. Decided to hit DestinyUSA to let her get her shopping fix in. Mall was clean and well lit. And huge. It was not crowded at all, although cashier in one store said it would be very crowded just a bit closer to back to school time. Ate at Cheesecake Factory and it was fine. It’s small so I would imagine wait gets very long at times. We didn’t hit any of the entertainment venues, much to her dismay, as there wasn’t time. I at no time felt the mall (or its customers) were dangerous or anything, unlike other posters. It’s just a huge suburban shopping mall that appeals to all types of people.

Great visit

By Q3601UQmikem |

Since our last visit many new stores/ attractions have been added. Very nice. We were successful in our shopping. There is a great variety of stores and we found the prices reasonable. Ate in the food court. The area was clean, bright, and had plenty of seating. Parking was not an issue. Restrooms were convenient and clean. If you have not been here for a while it is worth the trip to see the changes.

Many varieties of stores and restaurants

By Elizabeth M |

Destiny USA has much to offer. The shopping is fantastic and has enough stores to please any shopper. The restaurants, whether in the food court or elsewhere, have plenty of variety. There are also many entertainment venues, so anyone can find something to do. My only concern about Destiny is the amount of crime that happens there, both in the mall and out. I would strongly suggest that shoppers be cautious at all times. There have been stabbings and muggings on the property.

HUGE Mall!

By debra36 |

This shopping mall has everything you could ever want and more! We were fascinated by the entertainment places on the top floor.

Very fun

By Aubryn |

Living under an hour out of here makes it a spot that you visit at least once a month. Plenty to do, very fun for all ages, but can be very overwhelming, even if you've been there multiple times. Takes more than a day to see everything!

Lots to do

By Maria K |

Get a good nights sleep because you’ll need it for all the fun you’re going to have. Mystery room, 5Wits, Mirror maze, indoor go carts (go carts are very pricey), movie theatre, Wonderworks, Carousel food court allows plenty of options for picky eaters. Great time.

Wow...incredible Mall

By ccharpy2 |

With friends, we were impressed with the size and amount of activities avail at this mall. From movie theaters, go carts, Dave and Busters, a Bowling and Entertainment Center (Allstar Alley), at and every store that you would need. Amazing place!

Huge Mall!

By Glenn F |

This mall is huge! Lots of stores from national chains to local businesses. The mall was clean and safe...nice shopping experience.

Wow!

By Peemers77 |

What a mall! Something for the whole family to do other than shop...movie theater, mystery rooms, adventure places..and restaurants! Put on your good walking shoes and enjoy this Mall!

SHOPPING

By Joseph W |

I love dsetiny USA because they have a lot of stores that I like to shop in and I can not wait to go back again this year too no matter what

underwhelmed

By corn180 |

I went because all of my favorite stores were in one location and i prefer to try clothes on instead of internet shopping because i have a hard time fitting clothes. I live 1 hour away from this mall. very disappointed and a waste of time. The mall is so huge..the stores i liked were very limited in the sizes they carry-layne bryant and Loft. 2 stores that carry sizes 16 and XL on their website do not carry those sizes in the store-ann taylor loft and Loft. The sizes they did have were so picked through, the stores, ALL of them, were very messy. I stood in front of a wall of jeans in old navy and just left because I would have spent at least 30 minutes searching for a size in the mess that was in front of me. there seemed to be a ton of XS, S and medium clothes but every store was very limited in L and XL items. I shopped eddie bauer, chicos, loft, ann taylor loft, jjill, old navy, layne bryant and NY & co. Ny & co did not have ANY demin out at all. I dont know why the stores were in this condition. The customer service was across the board bad!! many didn't greet you and got you in a dressing room but never came back..never said goodbye or thanks..very weird. Either they are all short staffed or the staff see so many hordes of people come through that they just dont care anymore. It was a very sad shopping trip. I left the mall without purchasing anything. next time i will defintely go to a smaller mall where the customer service and clothing selection might be better like Eastview in Victor ny.

Something For Everyone !

By Judy and Hoppy |

Not a mall person, but I like this one. It’s fun to walk around and look at everything. Many stores that we don’t have in our town. Lots of fun, but expensive kids activities. Kids got to choose one toy or activity.
If you look, there are usually special deals on food and drinks. We had $5 Margaritas at Margaritaville, that were delicious.
On Tuesday evening it was not busy.

Jurassic quest weekend

By Tduffio |

Stories for all ages. The kids loved the merry go. To many stores to name but a lot of variety. And activity got the kids. The all thing we had trouble with was that to eat. To much to choose from.

Top notch mall.

By 1RaiderFan |

Finally a mall that’s worthy. This mall Has absolutely everything you could ask for. Great restaurants, things to do and tons of stores. My family and I went to wonderworks and had a blast. Probably the second best mall I’ve gone to besides mall of America in Minneapolis.

It has everything but I still couldn't buy anything

By Orange C |

It's great for entertainment with all the attentions, bar, restaurant and others. But not that good for shopping. Shop options are normal, nothing special. Because it's so big, it's easy to get lost and it's tired to do shopping here.

Best mall in tbe Northeast

By Juan V |

This mall has everything for everyone. Plenty of stores, entertainment, and restaurant options. The layout is easy enough to learn and there are plenty of places to relax.

Liesure and Shopping

By Jennifer R |

Excellent liesure and shopping time. Great stores and restaurants and Lyft and Uber are available. After a day of shopping you can enjoy a great dinner at either PF Chang or Cheesecake Factory.

Really big mall

By travelman08 |

On the advice of one of the personal at the hotel I was staying at I went to the Destiny Mall to walk around. The place is enormous. The thing that struck me was I visited the mall twice and both times security was chasing a shoplifter. The first time it was a young man with a shoebox under his arm and the second was a woman with a bag. There are plenty of restaurants and I am sure every store a person could want.

Massive Mall

By Steven D |

It’s huge and it’s got everything you want. Very clean and enjoyable. Easy to park and navigate. Great ropes course and stuff for the kids.

Not safe.

By Mick G |

Lots to do. Expensive. Not as safe as would like, especially at night. Some rough characters show up in the evenings. We're not looking for trouble, but my family has had two, "close encounters", in the last few years. Another friend's son was beaten in the parking lot.

Enjoyed our time

By Blacklabkaty |

We had a good time exploring the mall. We enjoyed dinner in the food court and my children road the merry go round. So much to do and plenty of shopping of course.

Huge

By arockrn |

Destiny Mall is too big for its own good. Its sad to see such a staple of the area fall apart. So many going out of business and store closing signs. If you're looking for some great deals, now is the time to go. While they are doing their best to follow the guidelines with a Covid restricted world, the directories are shut off, and traffic pattern is altered inside. Its a little confusing. I feel for the employees who may not make it out if this with a job....

It's a mall. It's amazingly underwhelming.

By Bethany M |

We entered the mall expecting to have some spectacular time. It was a Sunday early afternoon. It was empty. The "activities" did not look exciting or fun. No one was doing them. We shopped in nearly every store and bought one thing. Then we left. We stayed at the Embassy Suites next door and had a phenomenal stay at the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel. Spotless, amazing service and delicious food with many free amenities. A pool too!

SO MUCH MALL

By Shawn H |

So - we didn't plan to come to Destiny USA on our trip to Syracuse. We didn't even know that - somehow - this small city is host to one of the largest shopping malls in the country. So we walked in not knowing what we were getting into. As we explored deeper and deeper into the mall - past the movie theaters, go kart track, multiple arcades, ropes course, numerous "experiences" and destination restaurants, we were more amazed at every turn. Primarily, we were overcome at a creepy question of how such a wildly out-of-scale shopping mall could ever be constructed here. Turns out, its half a billion dollars in debt, which explains the facts, if not the reasoning. And the large number of vacancies suggest some mistakes were made.

We spent an oddly enjoyable amount of time in the arcades, ate in the food court, and went to a move - none of which was in the vacation plan.

Tired mega mall

By Kim B |

Airline delay left us with 6 hours to kill in SYR. So we headed to the mall. Easy cab ride though Uber is cheaper. Weather wasn't good for outdoor activities. If you like shopping I guess it works. It certainly doesn't break any new ground. Standard stores, standard prices. Whole play area of a maze through the sky- sort of an indoor ropes course seemed like it needed a good dusting and refresh. I haven't been excited on our various visits to the mall of America but it is better. If this is a top five attraction in SYR -ouch.

Hugh Entertainment Complex

By mesofly |

We went to the third floor just to browse. We were amazed by the huge entertainment area from movie theaters, ax throwing, bowling, pool tables etc. I think that was our evening in a nutshell. Amazing evening after shopping.

Not worth the trip

By Inspire600696 |

Very disappointing except for the activities, with a few exceptions most stores were cheap clothing stores, no books, electronics or games store, the only restaurant we went to was Texas in Brazil which was very expensive for the quality and the service received. I will not go back.

too much walking

By Lawrence Travers |

The way the mall was planed, you took escalators UP ant one end and DOWN at the other end. Gone are the days of spending hours in the mall.....I know I want quick in and quick out.
So many of the major stores have pulled out.
I'm not going back.

This is a destination mall where you don’t have to shop

By traybird |

We live a little over an hour away from Destiny. We take day trips here and have a great time every time! There so many fun things to do other than shopping like escape rooms, kids science museum, ropes course, bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, mirror maze, arcade games, movie theater, comedy club, indoor race track for driving age only and many restaurants. The stores are fantastic too...any kind of store you’d ever want really.

Great selection of stores with lots of activities

By RYC88 |

It's a great place for wandering and you can find pretty much any store/item you want/need. I love that they have so many activities, so it's not just a place to go for shopping. It's fairly easy to get in and out and there's plenty of parking. I do wish there were a few more fast casual restaurant options, as the food court is not that great and sometimes I don't want to sit down at a full-service restaurant. Clean, well-lit, and with a huge variety of stores.

Nice mall

By Corinne C |

I like Destiny. There is a good selection of stores and restaurants. The parking is pretty good most of the time. I don't like how big it is because I hate having to walk so far between stores. This is why I avoid going there.

Love this mall; great Macy's

By Gregsky |

My wife and I travel to Syracuse 1-2x/year to shop. I don't love to shop, so get most of what I need (for clothes) during these trips. My go-to is the Macy;s, which has excellent selection, great prices and very helpful staff. Mall also have some good restaurants, stuff to do with the kids (go carts, movie theatre, climbing ropes, etc.).

Shopper's Paradise

By ProfessorOT |

There was no shortage of stores or things to do at Destiny USA. We enjoyed the diversity of shops, the food court, and the carousel. The building is huge and the combination of regular and outlet shops was a nice combination. We found our fair number of deals, as it was after Christmas. The attractions are great for the entire family. Go online and plan out your trip!

Great place

By sfcjimg |

You can do anything there bowling eating drinking shopping amusement rides really a fun place everyone can have fun

Best mall in New York State

By Larry W |

Another great visit to the best shopping mall in all of NY State. They continue to expand their attractions and dining options, although I saw that the Melting Pot had closed. Still, this is a great place to go at the holidays to get all your XMAS shopping done in one stop!

Great mall

By chrisj2985 |

This is a great mall best I have ever visited. There are many attractions, food options, and of course a ton of shopping. We always make sure to stop by the carousel.

Nice Concept, Poor Execution

By Louis59 |

Staying at the Embassy Suites on a business trip, I decided to head over to Destiny for a walkaround and dinner. I was extremely disappointed.

Yes, the concept is interesting, and different. That said, the execution is horrendous. Signage is poorly designed and illogical. You can't enter the mall on the first floor in the front - if someone drops you off, you must walk down a busy road to find a ramp to elevated doorways. Several escalators in the mall were inoperable, not sure why. Sidewalks don't make logical courses around the exterior of the mall. And most annoying, on a rainy night, there was no covered walkway from the mall's hotel - the Embassy Suites. Duh!

Time to send the planners and architects back to the drawing board on this one. I'll be back in a few months, and hope to find some improvements.

BEST MALL EVER!

By Candace P. |

You could fit 100 of the malls in my town in Destiny USA. It has every store you can think of, so many cool restaurants, escape rooms, and even a go-cart track! So cool. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing!

By TriciaCal |

This place is HUGE! There are so many stores and tons of dining options! There's also a theater and several activity options.

Something for everyone

By kevsgrl01 |

This mall has everything anyone could ask for. Many different restaurants. Cheesecake Factory is my favorite. They have convenient entrances for the different sections. The only downfall is for an elderly or handicap person. I suggest a wheelchair or scooter. There is a lot of walking. If you come from out of town there is a nice new hotel across the parking lot.

Huge Mall , have everything there except a drug store

By bartib500 |

Big Mall , have many restaurant options ans a food court. The stores are mostly big mall chains .there represented along with a few factory outlet stores

Great place to wander

By pamelabD9213LP |

We visited the mall for the afternoon. A great warm snowfree environment.
We didn’t actually buy anything, but enjoyed getting out for a long walk without our coats.

Big mall but not enough security!

By Karen P |

Big mall with lots of options but because of the stories I read in the news they seem to have their share of problems. I enjoy coming here for the most part but just feel increased security would help. Lots and lots of great stores to choose from and it's a great place to get your exercise in!

Destiny USA

By EllieV1234 |

Tons of flagship stores. Macy's, Sacks, JC Penny, Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer, Ulta ..Very big mall lots of shopping lots of places to eat at reasonable prices

Shopping day

By Amanda L |

Awsome shopping center. Had lots of fun and made some great purchases. I will definitely comme back in the future.

Awesome mall

By papapump |

Went to visit son in finger lake region, weather was crappy, went to mall. It is Hugh. Tons is stores, lots of restaurants. Free wi-if. Was there about 3 hrs only saw half of mall. Need to go back. Awesome place

Nice mall with a good mix of stores, activities and restaurants

By Angela P |

We stayed at the Embassy Suites adjacent to the mall and had a great time. The kids (teenagers) could walk to the mall themselves and there was a great mix of stores - 5 and below, Claire’s, forever 21, Nordstrom to name a few. There are also great restaurants (Cheesecake Factory, Brazilian steakhouse, johnny rockets, P.F. Chang’s)

Spend the day

By someday0713 |

There is no shortage of places to spend your cash here ....we were here almost four hours. My wife needed a wheelchair and they are available at the "Guest Services" at no cost (just a refundable deposit). The entrance by Panera Bread has the "Guest services" at the door. Many restaurants to choose from and also a movie theater on the top floor. Dress accordingly (leave your winter coat in the car). Great way to spend an afternoon or longer.

Everything one could want!

By Virginia S |

All kinds of fun things to do, shopping, games, dining, etc. if you are looking for an item you’ll probably find it here. From clothing to electronics it’s there .

Good break from the cold!

By Alan B |

Let’s be clear, options in the area are few! By this standard the mall offers a welcomed respite from cramped spaces or cold for you and the children!

Great Mall

By Andrea G |

Great mall with lots of food choices - loved the High Ropes Course, Rolled Ice Cream and Melting Pot

Dangerous. Active shootings.

By Kimmylu |

Was on a date here having dinner when we had to run out of the restaurant because there were active shooters in the mall. There was suddenly hundreds of people screaming and running into the restaurant we were in and we had to just get up and run as fast as we could. People were throwing chairs and panicking. Very scary experience. Apparently this happens a lot. Not safe. I left behind my jacket and my 2 liter water bottle. I grabbed my boyfriends hand and we just started running and didn’t stop running until we were hiding behind a truck in the parking lot.

Amazing

By Zhaoming G |

Biggest mall I have been to. Has everything. Dining, shopping, and lots of entertainment. Very spacious, bright, and clean.

Losing stores

By Jeff S |

The mall is losing many stores and still has a number of big spaces to fill. In addition there are safety concerns especially at night.

Meh

By Nolie |

Mall was dead. The lighting was not great in many spots, very dark. Signage lacked making it harder to navigate the mall. No deals. We came down from Canada and found pricing even in American dollars to be overpriced. Did not buy anything during our visit.

2 days at he mall.

By David M |

We spent the better part of 2 days at the mall and we still have not see everything. Lots to see and enjoy.

Hole in the Wall: Totally Empty

By Travel |

Better shopping elsewhere!! It’s a hole in the wall. Difficult traffic pattern with potential of lots of accidents in the parking lot. Some people use this as a playground to harass customers. Hope this review is helpful.

Avoid at all costs

By diner970 |

This is truly the worst of American culture. I go to Destiny only when I have to: for the Apple store or the one shoe store I like. Otherwise I'd rather give my business to local standalone stores.

Pastor

By Dexter T |

Awesome! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory, shopped for gifts for ourselves and our grandchildren. There was plenty of stores to choose from and many stores we didn't get to see.

Entertaining

By David O |

I like the mall experience. I am not a shopper but when I do need to purchase something, I like to visit a store. The on line experience is hurting many brick and mortar retailers so I always try to support them.

Destiny USA is a big mall. It has many distractions and that came in handy when my girlfriend wanted to shop but her little boy wanted to pursue something more fun.

That is an easy assignment as there is plenty to do. From the Canyon Climb, to the arcade games and activities such as bowling, we were kept happy for hours.

I wish that there was more variety in terms of the stores themselves and really, it would have been nice to see some sales.

We did not really see anything special and we ended up going elsewhere to spend our money on some clothes.

While it is worth the visit, I hope that the retailers will try to capture our interest and make the shopping experience a little more rewarding.

A lot of hype

By ThomasK229 |

Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon.
Maybe it's just me, but I found the mall to be difficulty find your way around , and pretty run down.

It's a giant mall

By Terri O |

Destiny USA is giant mall, if you like to shop, then this is the place for you. The website is good and has a downloadable map for pre-planning purposes. It makes sense to do this, as this mall is so huge there is no way one can just meander and happen upon a shop.

There is a great selection of activities for families in the mall, from go-carts to escape rooms to an arcade. I did visit the Museum of Intrigue, which was a lot of fun. I walked through the arcade, it has everything one might want in an arcade.

I also enjoyed a snack and drink at one of the many restaurants. There's a lot to choose from.

Simply a shame

When I was young, Carousel mall (the predecessor of Destiny) was a fun place to go. It was still a large mall, it was clean, and it was safe. Today, the expanded Destiny USA is a sad fossil of what once was a staple in Syracuse. First of all, its sheer square footage makes it impossible to navigate or to get through in a day if you have some shopping to do. Your feet will be hurting after visiting three stores because of how far apart they are from each other. Second, safety is an obvious issue. A place this expansive is too big to employ enough people to keep it safe. I only went on this trip because I had something specific to get, but I always avoid the mall now as a general rule for this reason. Third, stores are leaving. Many popular stores for young women are left out altogether (like Madewell and Anthropologie). The store selection overall is uninteresting and unhelpful. There is also not a single cute cafe to visit for lunch - the closest thing is Panera. Instead of modernizing, making the mall aesthetically pleasing, making it lighter with more natural light, and adding modern stores, the expansion has worsened the mall in almost every way. It is a dark, dingy, dirty, unsafe excuse for a shopping center. When I want to shop, I literally drive an hour and a half to Eastview Mall in Victor (near Rochester). It is a lovely, nicely sized, bright, safe mall with great stores as well as a nice cafe and restaurants.

Huge Mall with pretty much anything you need

By Ryan |

I drive up to Syracuse from Ithaca to shop here about once a month.

This mall has a mix of outlet shops and traditional shops as well as the obligatory food court. There are also some nicer sit-down restaurants inside the mall.

Parking can be hard to find if you arrive after 12:00.

Nice mall

By Amy Grant B |

Plenty to do. Great selection of stores. Didn’t really see a toy store, but great comic book store and clothing store. My 9,7,and 2 year old did great. One day is probably plenty though. Didn’t see an indoor play gym.

Shoping

By Theresamh |

Shopping galore, restaurants, activities.
The place is simply massive!
Well worth the visit specially if the weather is bad, it’s all indoors :)

Huge mall

By LostInTime |

This mall is giant. I’ve been to Woodfield and Mall of America and this seems to have even more stores. And places to eat. And a movie theater. It’s really big and was crowded on a Saturday night.

Something for Everyone

By MVG_5 |

This is one of, if not ThE biggest mall in the U.S. There is a wide selection of stores and activities so if some of your group doesn't want to shop, they can always take in a movie or go climbing. We particularly like the newer outlet shops, especially Saks Off Fifth and Nordstrom rack where you can alway find some well priced treasures! Lord and Taylor is a great department store.

Ho hum!

By swetzel2017 |

Destiny is a constantly evolving property. It has not evolved into a great place lately. There are too many good stores: Gap, Limited, Bon ton,BCBG that have moved out in the past two years. The newer store fronts come and go quickly with little memory of what was there before. Another relatively good store will soon be leaving: J Crew.
Stores that have anchored the mall on either end; Macy’s and Lord and Taylor are looking old and shabby. Macy’s is a sad shell of its once grand splendor with top name designers.
If I was recommending places to shop: Waterloo outlets and Eastview Mall in Rochester, NY!

Lack of captions

By maschw01 |

Regal in Destiny Mall won't offer open captioned movies for Deaf and hard of hearing people. Instead it offers glasses that many Deaf people find inadequate. For many, the glasses are a nuisance to handle during the movie, and Regal doesn't seem to understand the point. It's too bad because there's a substantial audience for open captioned movies, for example, Syracuse is home to many refugees who are learning English, and open captions is a boon for them, too.

Indoor fun for kids.

By Deedee Z |

Great time! Went for my sons birthday and he had a great time! We visited wonderworks, canyon rope climb and the rpm raceway. Great indoor activities for the kids. Highly recommend!!

Not family friendly, marijuana smoke everywhere including family bathrooms when I'm trying to change my 2-year-olds diap

By MJA M |

I don't go to the mall much anymore. I went there last night and the mall was generally filthy, the family bathrooms had people actively smoking marijuana in them when I tried to change my 2-year-old's diaper, there was an inner city crowd scattered through the mall that made it clearly not family-friendly like it used to be. I see a lot of broken tiles in the floor, marijuana smoke coming from the back doors of Billy beez to the hallways behind the mall stores. I was there two Black Fridays ago and was locked up in a basement store because there was an active shooter firing on people in the food court. Blame it on the city of Syracuse, or blame it on management of the mall I don't care what, the mall is not what it used to be and it's going downhill fast. It is a shame.

Nationals

By Daphne C |

My husband went to the huge Nationals car show and dropped me off at the Destiny Mall. We hit the motherlode of all sales, had a wonderful time, lots to do and see.

Lots for everyone

By Richy_Bobby |

I have been several times and I keep coming back. There is something for everyone and the mall has good flow. Lots to keep the kids entertained as well.

Long day of checking out specials and dining at Cheese Cake Factory

By Rita566666 |

Interesting Mall with a multitude of department stores, Lord and Taylor was offering quite a large selection of specials. Nice entertainment in the mall as well as dining options. Cheese Cake Factory

Variety of Stores

By Angela S |

This is a huge mall with a wide variety of stores. We spent all day here and I don't think we even got to see the whole place. Plus there is other things to do like the movies, arcade etc. Several restaurants and a food court to choose from also.

More than just shopping

By heathertvc15 |

Something for everyone, great shopping, excellent food choices, and entertainment! Our favorite was Dave and Busters.

Everything you need in a mall

By Milene C |

Marvelous place to get everything you need, awesome restaurants. We had a fantastic time there while was raining outside!!

Huge! Everything under one roof!

By Tammy W |

Any store you are looking for must be here. It is a huge shopping mall. We also went to Wonderworks which is part of the mall. That was a lot of fun. You can walk on ropes above everyone, my daughter was nervous. Lots of fun exhibits including s bed of nails, stand inside a tornado, play a mind game with a friend and see who has the most concentration. I lost. You can spend the whole day. Lots of food options as well.

disappointing shopping experience

By Ryedrinker |

I came here to do some shopping and hit up the outlets. Although there are lots of stores we found the selection and prices to not be that great. We ended up packing up early and leaving to head back to Watertown because they have better deals and selection. We routinely cross the border to do some shopping and wont be wasting more time here.

By far the best shopping mall in NY State

By Larry W |

This place is, hands down, the best shopping mall anywhere in the state. It isn't just the stores, which are top-notch, but also the many restaurants as well as the attractions that are spread out within the mall. Part of the first floor has been converted to an outlet center, although it doesn't have the feel of a discount area. Parking can be a bit tricky at this place, especially once you get into the holiday season, but you can usually find a spot. (Or pay to use the valet parking, which is priced fairly reasonably.) I highly recommend this mall to anyone.

Walk, walk, walk, walk.

By kanukgirl |

This Shopping Mall is so huge you WILL be tired out before you finish shopping. There is something for everyone, shopping , restaurants, entertainment, and three major An hor stores, Macys, JC Penny, and Lord and Taylor.
I do suggest the proprietors put more chair, or sofas around for seniors, and a plY Rea for children.
A shuttle outside to take people between the Anchor stores would be a great addition.
Plus a simple coffee shop.
Otherwise this is a supermall.

Quanna 18th Birthday Trip!!!

By CieraJones |

Very nice mall!! My daughter and I had a ball besides the one lil mishap with the shop & dine pass. Overall we had a great time and plan to go back.

This mall is amazing!!!

By Naomi T |

This mall has it ALL! There is an entire section dedicated to KIDS! Wow! Anything you can think of is at this mall to include any type of food the heart desires! It does not disappoint! Check it out!

Syracuse Trip

By BijouBlogs |

Love this place for great deals! and wonderful restaurants! Parking is free, hotels are very close. Only thing is no liquor store if you want to bring a bottle of wine back to the hotel. There’s a local wine shop if you enjoy local made wine.

New York Shopping Mecca

By lovetravel2 |

This is a very large shopping mecca in the state of New York. It is located in the syarcuse area. There are tons of restaurants and stores here. You can definitely get your shopping on in here and probably spend too much money. There is a movie theater, rope course, escape room, lots of stuff for everyone. You could spend all day here shopping, eating, and playing.

Hey folks, it’s a mall

By Zzardvark |

In any other city, no one would think twice about Destiny USA. This is a mid-level mall with stores you could find everywhere. Syracuse is so lacking in decent activities that the mall stands out as one of the few places to go. Unfortunate!

Save your time

By Sarah d |

It's a mall. I'm from Buffalo, I want to this mall once when I was a teenager, and I have to say, going back as an adult was underwhelming. It's as if the smooshed two local malls together. If I'm going to drive the two hours to a mall, I will be going to Erie PA. At least then I can save money on taxes.

One stop shop and dine

By KSM888 |

When in Syracuse, shopping and dining will be easy. Just visit Destiny mall. Teenagers will be happy bec most of the stores they usually shop for are there whether clothes, shoes or gadgets, the storenis equipped. They also have a store for Syracuse souvenir shop for shirts etc where there’s a lotS to choose from. If you’re branded person, this is your place. Have a great shopping experience.

Lots of options

By Nina P |

Trying to kill some time we found this mall. Lots of options. The mall was clean. Parking was not bad.

Something for everyone

By 28doug |

Shopping, dining, race cars, play games, walk a rope bridge, slide on slides, go bowling, see a movie, comedy club, happy hour with friends. There are things to do if your 5 or 75.

great place for a whole family

By Dukielka |

i have visited the mall on the ordinary, workweek day and it was a good pick..the mall was almost empty, no lines, tons of empty tables at the food court so it was a really good day...overall, it is a nice place, lots of activities for the kids (including the mini golf) , lots of stores even for a picky shopper...i would recommend it on a work week day though:)

Closes Early due to Covid

By Colleen C |

we were able to get there with only 40mins. left until it was closed so we just walked the 2 main floor and the basement with 5 shops and we were able to do it all in that time frame. We were not able to go into any of the store because of the lack of time ( which all the stores did close right at 7!!!) BUt with that said we have 2 malls near us and this mall has everything our two mall have the only stores we don;t have that this place has is a 'hot tub, it's sugar, & armaini Stores'. So nothing as a huge draw there other than the gaming upstairs.

OMG!!! Its a must visit again

By travellingclouds |

Took our kids for a last minute trip and we decided on destiny usa it was absolutely amazing. Out littles liked it and so did our older kids (24 and 14) lots to look at and to do. Really good restaurants and the extras, the carousel that the littles (3 and 5) went on so many times, the go karts and the climbing thing. We already have our return trip booked. The kids are so excited.

Great selection and great staff

By Cody T |

Mike, the assistant manager, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and polite. He make our experience an absolute joy. We will definitely be coming back and we hope Mike is working again!

A mall to visit

By rstojanka |

Spent three plus hours in the mall on a rainy day. Found it very enjoyable, even just to stroll and check window displays.
Some good deals found on the ground level - was looking into purses, M.Korss and Coach.
Nordstram was also offering some decent deals - got a black cardigan for $10.99.

Still has the Carousel

By Ginger B R |

This place has become less about shopping and more about entertainment now. I've done 5 Wits which is pretty fun. During the day, it's like a ghost town, and it doesn't have a great reputation as being safe, so we avoid at night. The carousel is a favorite though, i hope that always stays.

Love the mall! Don't love the safety.

By AGreatReviewer |

Okay, I do enjoy going to Destiny USA. It's fun to go here. I like the stores because it has all or most of the stores I always go to. The food is also amazing, shoutout to Johnny Rockets. But, it truly isn't safe here. Now I'm not sure if they didn't hire enough security or if they simply don't care but they need to step it up. Everyone in Syracuse always talks about how this mall is always getting shot up and it's scary. I do enjoy going here, but if it risks my safety I'm not sure I wanna go anymore. There is many more options such as plazas in Clay and Fayetteville that you will find most or more of the things you're interested in, just much safer. Please be advised!

Cool mall

By mbhoakct76 |

The stores are common mall stores and there is a good mix. The top level entertainment make the mall unique. We stopped while traveling on a rainy day. Well worth the stop.

Big mall

By ThisisBox |

This mall is huge. It has 3 floors and side wings. There are tons of stores and you can spend a lot of time walking around looking for stores. There is also a climbing course in the ceiling and you can watch kids trying to complete the course above you.

Good restaurants and tired stores

By VSTP |

Good to spend time when.nothing else is important. Macy’s, JC Penney, Lord and Taylor and other famous stores are looking old, waiting for better times.
Good restaurants and enough entertainment for children.

Destiny USA - Michael Kirs,Cheesecake Factory and Regal Cinemas

By Cherie B |

Love Michael Kors perfume and handbags.
Regal has some good movies but don't care for smaller theater experience.
Cheesecake Factory has great gourmet delights, presentation is awesome and of course the desserts are to die for.
Went with friend before I traveled for 15 days to Arizona and California.

Sunday funday

By Lori Ann |

Great place for anything to do on a Sunday!! Or anytime.

Lots of stores, outlet stores, restaurants and fun family and adult things to do.

Shoes Shoes Shoes

By AnLil |

Carousel Mall has gotten a facelift with Destiny, Syracuse’s main tourist attraction. The new part of the mall offers entertainment: kids’ bumper carting, movie theatre, high ropes, Muzium, and so on. Be prepared to walk 8 km, and wear comfortable shoes. In the Canyon section in the center are levels of restaurants: Mexican, fondue, P.J. Chang’s, Poke Time, teahouse, Brazilian, Steakhouse, etc. The wait can be as long as 45 minutes at Margaritaville and the Cheesecake Factory, but you may request notification (while wandering the main floor of the mall) instead of waiting in line. This mall is not aesthetically attractive yet it is the main attraction in Syracuse. There’s a plethora of stores, from box stores to candy boutiques, and you can find good deals on shoes and apparel. It’s a “family” destination, since kids can run amok while parents take turns shopping. Mainly the stores are on the two floors, including ground, and plan extra time to find parking—especially on busy weekends. Or, you can opt for valet parking facing the highway/overpass in winter, if you prefer not to take the sky bridge across from the lots beside Embassy hotel. The good thing is, the mall is open until at least 9 p.m., rain or shine!

Indoor shopping is fun here

By steve f |

Destiny is a great place in the winter to shop or just walk. This place is absolutely the best place to go to stretch your legs on a cold winter day.

Huge

By erin h |

Huge mall. Good place to go, especially on a rainy day. Lots to do, lots to see. Many restaurants to choose from.

Good dining options in a massive mall

By Euroguy66 |

We have visited several times and this isn't your normal run of the mill mall. It offers many good full dining options and has a good feel about the place. Although it is massive, you can get to most areas quite quickly and easily. Apart from shops and restaurants there are many fun entertaining options for the whole family to participate in.

The mall is overbuilt

By norman18 |

There are some highlights like a Cheesecake Factory and a few outlets where you may find some deals. There is a nice Athletica store in the former Carousel Mall.
What is missing are come upscale stores like a real Nordstrom and a Bloomingdale's. Then this is Syracuse not Boca Raton.
Indoor malls are suffering and this is no exception.

Actually with the redo of The Rideau Centre in Ottawa, the three hour drive is not necessary to spend 75 cent Canadian dollars. But if you crave the Cheesecake Factory then go!

Huge

By cristina p |

Very large shopping center where you can really find everything.
Children can have fun with the acrobatic course

Avoid these mall not worth the hype

By Yyc |

Not worth the hype. Half the mall is stuck in the early 80’s for decor (lot of empty stores )the other half is modern with activities for the family. Apparently Destiny USA has no plumber on staff as most of the
Women’s toilets were plugged up (some even had wrap over the feces plug toilets to stop more people from further plugging them up). Parking is terrible as no one knows how to park in Syracuse and it also takes awhile to find a spot . Also heating and ac were terrible as some parts were okay for temp other areas were freezing. Seriously don’t make this a destination stop as it’s not worth it . Any store here you can find elsewhere, or better .

Great weekend shopping trip

By travellermic2018 |

I haven't been hear since it was previously called the Carousel Mall. Amazing stores to shop in along with the outlets. There are so many stores and so much to see. You have to check out the carousel and the outlets for sure.

Used to love it but now -- very user unfriendly?

By RLee18 |

Every summer are grandchildren come to Syracuse to visit us, and one of their main requests is the entertainment floor -- 5 wits, rope course, Wonderworld, etc. Each year we have parked near the entertainment entrance, walked across the overpass, taken the escalator up one floor and purchased the summer special tickets right across from 5 wits. As seniors with four grand children we have tried to minimize walking for reasons of our health. This year we had a very UNPLEASANT surprise. The guest both on the fun floor was deserted. We called the main number and were told in no uncertain terms that NO ONE would come up to open the desk and computer and sell us the passes. We explained it was to far to go down two flights and walks across the length of the mall to find someone to sell us the advertised tickets. They said too bad! We of course didn't want to disappoint our grandchildren and had to buy separate tickets for each venue and considerably increased prices re the summer special tickets we had previously bought and would have had to walk across the whole hugh mall and back to purchase. How sad and user unfriendly.

Fantastic at the Holidays!

By Larry W |

Destiny Center is one of the bet malls (and second largest) in the country, and it really does have stuff for everyone. It is always expanding, and the new places are getting better and better. If you can't shop and find what you want here, you must not be looking. It also has some fantastic restaurants located throughout. This is worth a day into itself.

What a huge mall.

By atti2ud |

This mall has everything you would like to have in a mall.

We go down for Black Friday so you can imagine what the parking is like. However we found parking as there is lots of it.

The mall is easy to navigate with an interactive guide in many spots.

With malls all over the USA and Canada it’s good to see this one thriving.

Cheers

Huge mall

By Tasha E |

Huge mall with tons of stores and lots of entertainment. There were some COVID related closures as expected. Everyone wore masks. Nice place to shop and have fun.

Huge Mall with Just About Everything

By hollytrea |

I was in town for work and staying at the hotel next door. Went over one evening with a co-worker as we had hours to kill. This is definitely a place to go if you are in the mood to shop. There is just about any store you can think of located inside. Plus movie theater's, entertainment such as a wonder works, mirror maze, or go carts. Lots of food options. The hardest part was trying to work through each and every floor. We ended up missing some stores we could see from floors above but never quite found.

Would love to go back when I have more time and money and do some serious shopping!

Bigger and better

By Larry W |

They keep adding more and more great places to shop and dine here. It really is a regional attraction, and I love browsing around as much as possible. I highly recommend it, even if visiting with kids.

Destiny Mall

By Barbi S |

This mall has everything that you are probably looking for and several full service restaurants as well.

Awesome mall

By Manon C |

I’ve never seen such a mall in my life. There’s an outlet inside the mall, how amazing is that? Plus all the restaurants and entertainment. Great for a snow day

So cool!

By Krista P |

This mall was so much fun to visit. We enjoyed 5 wits, Wonderworks (including the ropes course for my daughter who is 10), glow golf and simply walking around this giant mall! We spent almost an entire day here.

An experience

By IseeitIwantitIgotit |

Make sure you bring your walking shoes. Destiny USA is a 3+ story mall that has just about everything you can think of. This mall has A LOT of shopping options. Some that are unique to the mall and others that are chains. Dozens of restaurant and food options available. More entertainment options than your average mall. There is a movie theater and IMAX, bowling alley, go-carts, indoor golf, a comedy club, escape room, ropes course and Wonder Works which is a mystery. Coming here can be an all day event, which somewhere like Syracuse in the winter is needed! The parking and roads in and out can be very tricky so give yourself some extra time. There is parking below the mall that I recommend. Enjoy the experience of Destiny USA!

Large Mall - Something for everyone

By Dickenson Family |

This used to be the carousel center and has gone through major renovations and is now branded as Destiny USA. It offers more than just shopping as there are go carts, escape rooms, museums, movie theatre, bowling alley and many restaurants. If you are in the area it is worth checking out.

End of the shopping mall

By Steve6786768 |

Wow! Place was dead. Lots of closed shops and no bargains. Bet you it won’t survive another 2 years, more choice and better prices online.

HUGE

By triphappy07 |

So much to do, and not crowded at all. We spent half a day here and probably only saw 15% of it. Felt safe and modern. Had a fun time doing escape room with the teens. Endless activities to do at this place.

A long day with the kids

By Adam M |

This mall is very big and can be a challenge without a plan for where you want to go. I tend to shop in my mind before I arrive so I can park close to where I want to shop or eat.

Best mall in upstate NY

By Žööky W |

By far the best mall in upstate NY. Been to many malls, and DestinyUSA is light years away from the rest. It has it all. Restaurants, outlets, stores, bars, activities, fitness center, movie theater, food court, and tons of parking. Just be ready to do a lot of shopping and walking! There's plenty to see and do.

Simple visit

By Jacquie D |

I am not sure what people expect when reviewing a mall. It is a large shopping center with lots of entertainment and shopping options, at any price point. If you don’t like people, you won’t like any mall, so don’t go and don’t review it. That being said, it is clean and the new part is very sharp. The top floor has lots of activities as well, and this is definitely useful with the rough winters this region has. It was a needed improvement to the area!

Spent A Bit Of Time

By biker01 |

First time here since it was called the Carousel Mall. We were staying overnite across the road at the Embassy Suites so this was an ideal place to pass some time, and the enclosed walking bridge from the parking lot made for easy access between the hotel and mall.

Decent selection of mall stores as well as some, what appeared to be, good restaurants (we didn't eat there) and the play area looked interesting. For us this wouldn't be a destination trip again but it's worthwhile if you are in Syracuse and have some available time.

Fun way to spend a day

By dtgchreeforall |

My wife, 12-year old daughter and I went to Destiny USA while we were on vacation in Syracuse. We tried several of the attractions and were not disappointed in any of them, even though they were a little expensive. Huge hint - stop at Guest Services when you get there and request the Passport to Savings brochure, which is supposed to be available to only AAA members. They didn't request to see my AAA card; they just handed it to me. Using that saved us $16 at the Amazing Mirror Maze, $15 at WonderWorks and $2 at Taco Bell. There are many stores, restaurants and attractions that will give you discounts or free merchandise/food if you use the Passport. Luckily, we went to the Guest Services desk on the 1st floor when we first got there because it looked like the other Guest Services desks were not manned that day.

Fun place to go with lots of stores!

By 16katieee |

Destiney is such a fun place to go shopping with a group of friends! They have so many stores and you can find pretty much anything. It’s nice to be able to look at so many clothing stores without having to leave the building and it definitely makes shopping easier.

Too big for one trip

By NBethS |

Parking is tough. Only a few anchor stores close to parking. Most stores require significant walking. No baskets or carts for inside mall. Thank you Dick’s for letting me borrow one of yours. Just too spread out and weird layout and too far to get back to parking to drop off purchases to do much serious shopping. Mainly good if you are going just to a special anchor store only. Only at Wilson’s leather did I find any store employees who were available and pleasantly helpful. I don’t go in anymore unless I have a specific need or sale to hit.

Black Friday Shopping

By Esther F |

My daughter and I went shopping on Black Friday. It was very busy, but that's to be expected. It was Black Friday, after all! There were a lot of really great deals on merchandise, but maintenance wasn't able to keep up with the cleaning. The bathroom was dirty and the garbage's were overflowing. There was a lot of security both in the mall and in the parking lot. Overall, it was crazy - but it was Black Friday. We have been multiple times before and we love it there. My daughter did her birthday party there and loved it. Lots of restaurant options. Lots of shopping. Love the outlets. It's a little over an hour drive for us - but we love it.

Options Galore

By smdshaazam |

If you are looking for a location that has something for everyone in your group or if there is a store you don't have somewhere else, they are sure to have it here! With the food court and all of the other restaurants you will be hard pressed to not find what you are looking to eat or drink. Go during the week and you are guaranteed to find daily deals and great happy hour food and drink specials.

A Very Large Mall

By Maggoo3193 |

Their website lists over 200 shops and 4 levels of shopping, this is all true.
We had to stop in at least once since we drove by it on our way to the Armory Square district. We spent a few hours here. The variety and size of the stores is quite impressive.
With the wife along we did not leave empty handed, sad to say.

Very big and amazing Mall!

By mehtas2018 |

We visited this mall just one month back and it is a really huge mall. Some stores outlets are also there. It's a beautiful mall. So many stores at one place only! We loved it.

Beccajmc

By Rebecca J |

You can see animals, climb ropes, escape rooms, museums and my favorite virtual reality; all in one place. You can then stop into the Cheese cake factory for some good food and the best cheesecake ever! I did not think going down for two days we would spend it in the mall, but we did! Great experience.

Biggest shopping center in NY State

By TY_Toronto |

This is the biggest Mall in NewYork state. If you are in the area definitely recommended. you need to spare two full days if you want to do detail shopping.

A unique mall experience

By Peter W |

The place is enormous and has so many restaurant and shops to choose from. Very clean too. Don't frustrate yourself by searching for a parking spot - just choose an outlier lot and walk in.

Best mall in NY State

By Larry W |

Still is the premier shopping experience in Upstate New York. It has tons of great stores, restaurants, and things to do. No matter what month of the year, this is the place to go for a great shopping experience.

This place is huge!

By AJTes |

Almost every store chain is located here. It took me a few hours get through the whole mall, but I managed to find what I was after during my exploration. There’s a really cool and challenging jungle Jim at one end; I didn’t try it but I will during my next visit. There’s also plenty of parking.

Worth Visiting Syracuse Just For This

By Professor04 |

This shopping mall is so big that it is almost overwhelming. We were surprised to see good value sales at so many upscale stores. Lots of entertainment and dining options. Our one complaint was the poor signage for parking. When you first pull in off the highway, you will encounter a patchwork of smaller lots outside of the anchor stores. However, if you drive around for a bit, you will see more convenient open spaces available.

Great place to shop and eat

By Dgouldd |

Visited this giant mall over the weekend. This place is more than just retail stores. Tried the escape room which was pretty cool. Didn’t try it but there is a rope course that seemed popular. We also tried the go kart track which was excellent.
Must have been more than 30 restaurants in the mall. We ended up at Texas de Brazil. Good food.
This is a great mall if your a mall walker.

More than enough to occupy a day

By Mike W |

We visited Destiny USA with only a few hours to kill and were inundated with options. We didn't do any of the major activities like laser tag, bowling, go carts, escape room, mirror maze or the high rise rope obstacle course but they are all awesome options to have in the middle of the mall. We basically had lunch and did some shopping which seemed endless...every time you turned a corner it looked like another 200 shops. There's like 4 or 5 levels of shopping, maybe even 6, I'm really not sure. Like I said, it seemed endless. Our teenagers and little kids all enjoyed the time we spent there. We would definitely visit again if we didn't live in Florida!

All you need is in this mall!!!

By Lorraine B |

You will find everything..... good restaurants, park for the kids to play, Macy’s, JC Penney, TJ Max and all kinds of little shops. When I go down to Syracuse, I always make stop over there and come back with all kinds of deals!

Birds in the food court

By Jerry Z |

A pretty good selection of food choices in the Destiny Food Court. Had a chicken cheesesteak which was pretty good. 2hen looking for a table we passed over two as they had bird droppings on them. Disgraceful. It wouldn't be hard to catch and release these critters so we don't have a health issue flying around. Clean up your food court Destiny.

Love this Mall

By jaynew08 |

Who says Malls are dead? I absolutely love this Mall. So much to choose from, whether its a shop, restaurant or just funs things to do. I travel 1 hour to go there and it it well worth it!!

Ridiculously expansive, you'll find your favorite shop here, but they really need to make it easier to find your way around; either an app or some electronic map boards. Try the underground parking in Winter -- it's delicious.

Neat place to shop...so many stores wrapped up in one place!

By Dr. Roland T |

Neat experience...so many stores under one roof. Outlet style, TJ Maxx, JO Banks, Brooks Brothers and so much more...neat places to eat, fun just to walk around...

Great mall

By Clickchicky |

If you like Mall this one has everything you need. Parking is also very easy for th most part and they even have a valet. Lots of fun activities for
The kiddos, and great restaurants for the adults.

Homeless drug addicts and insects and ciggs all over the mall

By eneergt |

Homeless people live at the mall. Drug people are at the mall. Security is a joke there. The mall cover cigs butts inside and outside the mall. Its dirty throughout the mall with insects and bugs report in news article. This mall is going to be an eye sore for Syracuse when stores go under. The future is going to be sad. The owner doesn't pay taxes on the mall than its parking lots around the mall. Bathrooms are dirty and little or none papers in them.

I actually thought the mall would look different than it did 20 years ago. Same old same old.

By BFinkel |

It's a mall and despite all the hype and supposed remodeling and new stores, it still doesn't have some of the exciting experiences you find in other big malls across the country. If you haven't been there in 20 years you aren't missing much. In the back of the At Home store on Saturday evening, teenagers were running wild, knocking things over and making out on the furniture. Honestly folks in these crazy times malls like this are dangerous places. I would avoid it overall. Also - a note to DESTINY USA - your "Valet Parking" sign over by Park St. entrance blocks the view of cars and our car was nearly hit multiple times. You need to TAKE THAT SIGN DOWN!

Lots to do- but also scary?

By JasonTravels0613 |

This mall is massive and has a million things to do- it can be really hard to choose, but things gets dicey on weekends. I have seen people in fights, get tackled while shoplifting, all sorts of things. a bit of a circus, but certainly not boring

Destiny USA

By Tessilimi Kamarou |

Destiny USA is a large shopping center located in Syracuse. There are many clothing stores, restaurants, household items etc.

Wow, it's massive!

By Guru |

I am rating it Average at three stars although it is the second largest Mall in the United States. The food is quite terrible at the food courts. They should really do better. Other than that, there are a wide variety of stores to shop at and this is quite the destination to come to if you're searching for a thrill or to see a beautiful mall with lots to offer!

Mall visit

By Pat M |

Great Mall, one of the nicest I've ever been to. So much to do but a lot of entertainment venues.
If you like the shop this is the place for you. It's also if you're into entertainment check this place out as well.

Great mall

By Stacey H |

It was nice to be in a mall with stores and not empty spaces. So many stores to choose from. There are also so many different activities to choose from. Could spend a few days seeing everything.

Very Impressive

By Spank |

Drove over from Rochester this week to visit Destiny Center with my wife. I have not been there since it was Carousel Mall. WOW talk about a change. This mall is now huge and if you can't find something there you better check on line.

240 Plus Sores. Four levels. Lots of food choices... I've been to the Mall of America several times as I have family out there but I must say Destiny USA gives them a run for their money. There certainly is more store at the MOA but they have been at it for years now.

Granted it's not real busy this time of the year but the parking was easy and getting around inside the mall was a breeze. We'll certainly make another trip over some time soon.

Great Mall with Tons of Activities to Do Indoors

By Jill M |

We loved visiting this mall, although we were not there for the shopping, just food and activities and there were plenty of options for us to choose from. Mall is big and can take all day to get around. Lot's of indoor activities for the kids to do - they have everything that kids will love, movie theatre, go karts, virtual reality theatre, bowling, game room, high ropes course, lot's of food choices. The mall is very beautiful and it appears that they are constantly upgrading it. When we visited in August 2019 they were still buidling and indoor slide which will go from the top floor of the mall to the bottom floor - pretty cool and something I have never seen in a mall. Definitely a must visit if you have some time to kill in Syracuse.

Variety of different things to see and do in the premises that keeps you busy with lots of activities. We enjoyed being in this place

So. Much. Shopping.

By Reina H |

There is something for everyone at this mall. We only had a few hours, but we had a wonderful time shopping. So many stores, and the mall is bright and attractive.

Very busy but lots of options

By samhoku |

I really enjoy this mall, it was previously known as The Carousel Mall because of the beautiful Carousel that they have for kids to ride. The Carousel is pretty cheap to ride and it is located in the food court. There are also several stores in the mall that are great to browse, which includes but isn't limited to Craft stores, Nerd/Geek stores, toy stores, and food stores.

Nice place

By emptymind2k7 |

Went to the Destiny USA Mall and What and interesting place. A lot of stores the layout is what's interesting. I love the top floor with all the interactive things to do. Go karts, mazes, walk Bridges,Etc. Next time I will need to bring the kids. They have a wide variety of stores and restaurants. My favorite The Croc Store.

Excellent Mall

By Mark G |

Destiny USA has just about anything you could want in shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The complex is huge, located just north of downtown right on the lake. They have Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, Vanity Fair and all the other stores you come to expect at the larger malls, as well as a great selection of independent local and regional stores. There is a Embassy Suites next to the property, and the mall has a lot of restaurants of all types including, Margaritaville, Cheesecake Factory, Texas de Brazil and a bowling alley/ restaurant combination. Entertainment included a comedy club, go kart race track, ropes course and more. This mall has it all covered and is probably a welcome site for escape in the cold, snowy Syracuse winters.

This place has everything under 1 roof

By lahelsel |

If you are looking for activities, dining options, or of course shopping, this is place to come. There is something for everyone. Great variety and easy to get to off the highway.

One of America’s best malls

By mlewistik |

You name the store you’re looking for and it’s probably here at Destiny USA. Dining options cover all tastes, as well. We came to get curtains at TJ Maxx which I’d say has one of the better inventories I’ve seen. I’ve been here several times and eaten at Cheesecake Factory, Gordon Biersch, and World of Beer. Each of them was great. If I had any complaint it would be a stretch, but the temperature inside seems to fluctuate between freezing and warm on a given day. Overall, coming here is a great experience every time.

Family time..

By Susan L |

Went to dinner at a brewery pub there it was fantastic and then to the comedy club..both were a 10 out of 10...

Shopping Day!

By Mark B |

I threw in one shopping day on our Summer Road Trip... keeps the ladies happy! And that it did, very handy walk from Embassy Suites and lots of selection. If your ladies are shoppers bring you hiking boots it's a ton of walking.

More than a full day adult entertainment

By Thomas T |

This place has a full array of activities to keep you there for an entire day. From go-carts, to mini golf, to high ropes, to escape rooms. A group could plan a fun day doing all sorts of things at this mall. Oh, and there is shopping too! lol The weather is not a factor because it is all indoors. I suggest making a reservation and setting up an adventure with friends. This is a gret place to spend a little quality fun time.

Large but dark

By Jeff E |

Very large indoor mall with lots to do for kids. One section basically is a kids play world. A variety of stores with an outlet store section. It was very clean and easy to get to.

A little something for everyone

By Jim B |

We needed three days to fully tour this location, but only had two, so we saw as much as possible. The third floor is mostly entertainment and restaurants while the second, first, and lowest levels are shopping and food court. Parking is not much of a problem, but it helps if you know the layout. Elevators and escalators are abundant and the feel of the place is clean and new. They used plenty of eye-catching designs to make it interesting. You will not go hungry as plenty of eateries are about. Do plan on a lot of walking. Chairs and scooters are available for those in need. There is a beautiful cinema on the top floor, so everything you'd want to do is inside the mall and not out on the service road. Do your homework before going so you'll know where you need to park, and have a camera ready...I assure you you will use it. Activities for the kids include a massive gokart track, a canyon walk, and Wonderworks. There is also a museum, a mirror maze, and an arcade in Dave & Busters. A hotel is directly across the highway and is well worth the stay if you're coming from a distance.

Hugh Shopping Complex

By Claud C |

The Destiny USA Syracuse NY, formerly Carousel, is definitely a place to visit, explore and buy all sort of things. There are hundred of stores, even outlet stores, competing with regular big box Brand-named stores. Highly recommended.

Something of interest for everyone

By exptraveler2016 |

From activities to entertainment, restaurants of all different type venues to of course shopping. There certainly is something for everyone. Wonderworks, Laser Tag, Bowling, Mirror Maze, Go Carts and more. PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, The Melting Pot and the Brazilian Steakhouse or even quick eats like Taco Bell and fast food Chinese Food.

Still an incredible mall - and getting better

By Larry W |

I always have a hoot when I visit this mall. There is so much to do....shopping in all the stores, including the outlet stores. There are a ton of great restaurants there, and also lots of activities as well. It is so good that our teenage daughter wants to do her birthday there with friends. I give this mall my highest possible recommendation.

Great Mall, however...

By Daria |

Nice Mall but failing with this pandemic. They have fully prepared and put up excellent precautions to protect everyone. However no one regulates them and security says nothing when mutiple groups walk around without a mask or failing to wear it properly. I'm very discouraged to return.

The stores in this mall was really good and the selection was good

By 68janiek |

There is alot of stores to choose from. This mall is good for all ages. The mall was clean and it had a play area for the kids to enjoy.

Wow!!

By ICUSNOOPY |

They definitely don’t have malls like this in Harrisburg Pennsylvania! Mall is very clean employees were friendly and 95% of the establishments we visited. There are tons of things to do in the mall! Aside from eating and shopping. There are race cars mazes museums a full-size carousel that is operational and beautiful. It is in the food court & I do recommend , suggesting highly that you see it.

Excellent Family Fun Destination

By Rick M |

We hadn't planned on stopping at Destiny USA, but wow, we had a blast....we look forward to taking our kids and grandkids - there's so much to do and see!

Drove almost 2 hours

By Toby King |

Drove almost 2 hours to come here cause online said the Disney store was open, got here and of course it was closed. Not going to waste my time ever again, never coming back.

allow more time

By Big Mike |

The mall is now as complete as it's going to be. With over 200 shops it's no wonder there are so many people interested in going here

The best shopping

By Baseball1414 |

A huge mall with great shopping options. Too large to do in a single day. Really nicely done inside the mall as well with a large selection of retailers. Great for the much needed and often dreaded back to school shopping. Good bargains to be had!

Very beautiful and large shopping center

By ericsarazin |

Large shopping center with many shops. Several restaurants inside, a large area amusement park for children. An old 1907 carousel that is beautiful and works very well. Shops for every taste.

Best Mall In The Northeast

By Jeremy & Diamond |

I go here quite often for shopping, it's a fairly large mall. Lots of places to shop, lots of places to eat. Atmosphere is great! Mall Security is amazing and they make sure to keep bad people out.

If you have the time, it's got it all

By Stephanie K |

Destiny USA is massive. It has something for everyone including activities, a variety of restaurants and events to keep the non-shopping folks entertained. It does require some time to get through everything but it's definitely got something for everyone.

Exceptional dining experience

By Robin S |

One of the best dining experiences that me and my hubby have had . I would recommend going to the 110 Grill at the Destiny USA Mall. Devonte was wonderful and went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The food is so good. My hubby and I will definitely dine here again next time we are in Syracuse❤️

Lots of eateries

By Lorraine S |

Marble floor kills your feet . Of course I’m in my 60 ‘s the youngster don’t mind. Decorated beautiful for the Holidays. Movie theaters, carousels , food court, rope course for all ages . You can spend days there . For me I’m in and I’m out . A great place to visit . Get your ears pierced , dine formal ,dine casual , bowl, race, much much more fun for all ages

Very impressive mall

By kevinkorell |

Visited the area and got to walk the entire mall, all floors. Was not there to shop bit I did eat in its food court. Place is huge and easy to get lost in with its main and offshoot corridors. Effort was made to establish one way pedestrian traffic in mall during the pandemic but it was not enforced. Pedestrian bridge over Hiawatha Blvd leads to a parking lot but one still needs to walk outdoors to access the nearby Embassy Suites hotel.

Very good experience

By Dewey S |

Destiny is very large without question though not as big as Mall of America. We spent a few hours there and enjoyed the mix of the traditional mall, outlet mall, entertainment and food. You really need to get your bearings before you go in, but with escalators and moving to a few different doors, it was fairly accessible. We liked the “all under one roof “ idea. The mix of big anchor stores and small shops or outlet stores worked well for us. Personally I also enjoyed a cup of coffee and watching the activities around me. We will go back.

Huge mall

By Thepinman88 |

Large mall, limited parking. Handicap parking is difficult at best. Many retailers and restaurants available.

Had to ask directions

By cnx4789 |

It took us over an hour to figure out how to find the bridge/walkway we came in. I doubt I'll return.

Everything You Need

By James R |

Had an opportunity to visit the Destiny Mall, Syracuse, New York for a couple of days in August. Everything you need in one place, dining and shopping aplenty. The mall is a very busy place, with plenty of room to move about. Options for everything, dining and shopping and just plain exercise. Mall staff work very hard a keeping the place clean and plenty of security staff to keep the peace.

Huge Mall

By Ann G |

This mall has everything. Shopping, fast food, good food, Wonderworks and movies it would be perfect on a rainy day and you had some money to blow.
But someone approached my new adult child and asked for his ID (of course he said he didn’t have any) so keep a close eye out for scammers. And as we were walking in someone was getting hand cuffed
Keep a cautious eye but this mall was built for entertainment

Did all our Christmas Shopping

By S7788NFlarryw |

We truly enjoyed our trip to the Syracuse area. My wife and I did almost all out Christmas shopping at this location, we found some great sales. We will go back.

Wednesday night out

By dwierenga |

I am so lucky to live within walking distance to the mall. Wednesday’s are great because there aren’t the crowds and plenty of specials on food and drinks in restaurants. My favorite is Cantina Lerado for the 1/2 off wine including bottles. There are plenty places to find shopping deals. I love the “at home” store and Eddie Bauer outlet. Check out clearance rack in back, 70% off.
Great destination and place to stay for weekend. New hotel on site for lodging.

Great mall

By 43edwin123456 |

Something for everyone. The mall is close to downtown and it is one of the top ten for largest in the nation. They have alot of the stores you would see in malls.

Underwhelming

By Stacey P |

The mall is underwhelming and overhyped. Most stores close by 7pm which is very early. It is a bit confusing to navigate, signage is somehow unclear and noneof the electronic directories worked. I would not return nor recommend going out of your way to visit the mall. As well it the walkway that is supposed to take you to the hotel next door, takes you to a part of the parking lot and you still have to walk outdoors

Old Carousel Mall

By Jamie C |

Been here many times in the 90s while in college. Decent mall that used to have a quaint carousal in the center.

Shops ahoy!

By Matt W |

Lots of shops and easy parking. Some good food choices and very clean. Worth a visit as there isn’t much more in Syracuse (sorry) but not really mind-blowing.

Not exciting at all

By Richard L |

Not worth the drive for a great shopping experience.

Drove 2.5 hours as some friends highly recommended this place.
Many stores being closed, this mall is way too big and in need of a facelift.
You may find most stores anywhere else.
Food court options are lame at best.
Will not be going back.

I'm generally not a fan of Malls.

By vikimmy |

Fun for everyone with the carousel, wonder works, go carts, build a bear the Disney store and more child friendly things to do. Great for a date night and a long indoor walk.

You can find everything you need!

By 369Maia |

You can make good shopping and then enjoy lunch in restaurants, choice is really good, Chinese, Japanese, American, Brazilian and other food!

Always a pleasure

By Karen T |

Hubby and I always visit this mall when we are in town. We like to get our walk in while window shopping. We come up a couple times a year and it's fun to see what new stores and ventures there are. We always stop at the Dunkin Donut for our coffee fix and browse the stores for bargains. There are so many different fun things to do with your family. Many great restaurants, and unique shops to browse through. There is something for everyone here. We will be back.

Big Mall

By biz_Travelor7 |

Large mall, over 200 stores.
They have;
Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville
Cheesecake Factory
PF Chang’s
GB brews
19 screen movie plex

One shop wonder

By Karin A |

This was my first time to the Destiny USA. It took us 2 days to go through all of the stores. I loved looking around all of the stores. There were a lot of different places to visit.

Nice and new

By roadtripmomma |

I briefly visited the mall to eat at Gordon Biersch. It appeared to be a well kept mall with a good option of stores and restaurants. Easy access and close parking was a plus.

Great Attractions!

By Pete H |

I have my 2 sons Mik and Joshua and we go they go to Destiny mall a lot with their friends on the weekends. If you are visiting Syracuse NY, Destiny is a great mall to go to. My sons like to go to the Movie Theater and the store “Champs” which is a sports store. I like to go to the adidas store and get some new shoes. This is a very good place for old and young. My favorite place to eat here is P.F. Chang’s which is right by the entrance.

Shopping and lunch

By N5056QFmichaelb |

Vast variety of stores, activities and restaurants. So many things to see and do inside out of the weather.

A large but otherwise average mall

By Explorer39334157306 |

It's a mall. If you come here expecting something special, you're not going to find that. It's merely a typical mall that's a little bit bigger than most.

Destined to save money

By Siddhartha S |

Destiny is perhaps the best place for winter shopping. You get amazing deals. U could buy a GUESS jacket, gloves and a cap for just $150. The mall lacks good eating options though.

Huge mall

By KA3345 |

Nice mall. Tons of stores and places to eat. Can be overwhelming by how big it is. Parking can be a pain sometimes.

"Over-priced and Under-served."

By Patricia F |

It's corporatism at its best here! When Bon-Ton was still open, the deals and the quality of clothing in the mall were ample and worthy of purchase. Teavana's disappearance also has left a stark reminder of what happens when a lease becomes too expensive for the tenants, and only the corporate giants survive! Even the movie theater prices, $5.00 plus tax for a bottle of water are excessive! Worst of all when Borders left, we lost the only book store in the mall that invited customers in to peruse through the fascinating tales and get a snack in the process. Destiny died a long time ago and I am imagining a future where the building will be mostly unoccupied.

Not a safe place to visit

By Edward_Lawton |

I liked the shops !!! Big shoutout to “Margaritaville” best margs and food !! But this place is shockingly dangerous for people openly showing firearms !! Security are absolutely useless and will only be time before someone gets killed here

A typical solo visit!

By elizabethgL7336IW |

The easy parking (indoor and outdoor), the variety of restaurants, stores, boutiques, movie theater, standard, 3D and Cinemax, and the places to spend time with friends and family make Destiny USA a safe recreational destination at any season! Love to go to the food court to grab a calzone or a pizza slice for a quick lunch. Then, I love to spray some nice perfum@ Macy’s, do my eyebrows with an Indian lady who is my #1 fav tech, and walk around nice boutiques for sale clothes. Swarovski is always on the plan, too.

Shopping just south of the Canadian Border

By Dickenson Family |

Syracuse has long been a shopping destination for those in Ontario and Quebec. Formally the Carousel Center this mall has gone through major renovations over the last decade. As a result the now named Destiny USA is truly an attraction for all, family and couple alike. Destiny offers extensive parking free of charge and is located right of major highways in Syracuse. It boats tons of shopping, restaurants, attractions and a cinema. The previous Carousel center still exists with new hallways encircling it creating destiny usa. This is a mall where you could easily make a day of it as it offers go carts, numerous large restaurants and a lot of stores.

This mall is just sooo average.

By abbyness67 |

Maybe it’s because i’m from Minnesota...and we have the biggest Mall in America, but this mall is so average. It has nothing special about besides its size. The stores are fine, but just fine. I would say it’s plain and needs a renovation.

Fun shopping

By Linda K |

Amazing mall. So much to do and so many stores! What an amazing shopping experience. Hit it up early because later afternoon it gets packed! Great prices to be found and staff in all the stores are super friendly and helpful . I was there with my two grown adult daughters . We walked from 10-5 and I don’t think we walked the whole mall lol can’t wait to go back! Plan the stores you want to go to as well. It’s a difficult map to follow if you don’t plan ahead

super fun mall.... not a mall

By PhilWex |

Wow what a cool conversion from dead old school mall to a fun activities hub. We went on the 300 foot tall Ropes course... so much fun and a challenge to wrap your brain around that you cant fall your strapped in. Plus Brew House right there in the mall (err not mall) . Movie theatre, Bowling alley. Basically the best place to be to have indoor fun.

Despicable

By Als545 |

I’ve never seen a place expand so much to the point where the developers have lost sight of its original intentions. Not only has this monstrosity grown beyond insane measures and the prices are way too high for the cost of living in Onondaga county, but it is not disability friendly. They actually removed a sizable number of accessible parking spaces by taking down the signs and covering up the paint. They also charge $10 for scooter rentals.

Great way to spend an afternoon!!

By Gail B |

Had to spend extra day in Syracuse due to flight mix up. Went to Destiny USA to put in some time. So glad we did, amazing amount of stores in one location, and the carousel get grandkids, and some adults amused for quite some time.

Disappointing Christmas atmosphere

By thepetitetraveler |

For a mall that claims itself to be the biggest and best of the state, its administrators seem to put little to no effort in having a good atmosphere in the open, common spaces. For instance, in December, when the place was full of costumers, there was little and very poorly designed Christmas decoration, so you couldn't really feel any of the holiday spirit in there. I believe that if we're going to spend our money there during the highest selling time of the year, and thus help them make business, the least they can do is show some appreciation by creating a good shopping experience. It was already crowded and kind of a chilly so that would have helped. The one nice thing though was the available seating areas which were nice for tired costumers.

Love this mall

By Carrie |

My daughter goes to Syracuse and when we are hear we go to destiny. This is the kind of mall that makes you want to go shopping. All kinds of stores and restaurants and even more places to eat. Parking is free. Check out the map though so you don’t miss anything.

Not bad for a rainy day or just an indoor experience in general

By 213Beaker |

Aside from the fact that it is a mall with all the popular mall things, this one has electric indoor go karts, an escape room, virtual reality simulators, a Dave & Busters, a "ropes" course, a Wonderworks museum, glow golf, 5 wits, an IMAX, and I'm probably forgetting something else. This mall is stacked with other cool activities to keep your family busy and entertained.

Loved it

By Claire L |

I don't need to say much many say it was overwhelming but I disagree has adorable little firefighter strollers 4 floors I belive
Places such as Billy bees for the little ones overall I love it here

Great mall but with high prices

By Maxime B |

Many many stores and food options. The entertainemrnt options are awesome but I find them very pricey. 10$ per admission for the mirror maze which lasts 5 min. Bee play park was 40$ for 2 adults and 2 toddlers which I find not bad if u can stay there more than 2 hrs. Food court: 5$ for a single pizza slice and 15$ for philly cheese steak with fries. I find that to be pretty expensive. But everything here in this mall is a must if your visiting Syracuse

Came for movie!

By Rene D |

Huge Mall. We came driving thru on r way to Buffalo. We saw Penguins the movie. It was awesome in IMAX. The mall is packed on a wed afternoon wow! It has everything u could ever think of in here. It is defiantly a destination! Nice food court too!

Shopping

By Carole K |

This is the biggest mall I’ve ever been to. Be prepared to walk, walk, walk.
It does have everything you could want under one roof.
Bathrooms all over, and plenty of restaurants.
Very nice family atmosphere with a lot of security.

Shopping bust

By moncoer |

Advertised as the biggest outlet mall in NY state and even with its own Embassy Suites hotel “adjoining”, this eclectic group of discount stores are truly poor sisters to their stand alone namesakes. We felt to be in the middle of a neighborhood yard sale with hand me downs that neither quite fit nor looked right. Some good eateries but a hard pass to future shopping excursions.

Huge mall

By Carey D |

There are lots of family friendly restaurant options at the mall as well as activities for all ages. You can easily spend hours wandering here.

Syracuse

By Adv4Me |

Destiny USA captures the essence of Syracuse. The city has gone downhill in the years since I left. Companies have moved out of the city but the city has this monstrosity. The mall has some decent shops (Ann Taylor, Banana, H&M, Lululemon,..) and entertainment (movies, racing cars, 5 wits,..). No wait on a Saturday night for restaurant seating. Bubble tea at Kung Fu tea is excellent.

meh

By Melissa W |

Its enormous and unless you know where you want to go and how to get there, difficult to navigate. It was a tad run down. We got what we needed but not super impressed with the store options.

Amazing mall

By Cmoija |

This mall is great with tones to do and see. Need to go back without our babies so we can visit all the great restaurants

Gropuon Deal

By rachelrae33 |

Went to Wondwrworks and did the ropes course. Love how malls are putting in an entire entertainment floor. We will definitely be back.

IF YOU HAVE A SERVICE DOG

By Alexis P |

i went there with my service dog and there was a ton of pet dogs in the mall. i dont recomend if this triggers you.

Love it

By Storm E |

Love this place. A+. Viva la Syracuse. Will always come and enjoy the premises with friends family or just myself. Lots of great places to eat too!

You like shopping? You will be in shopping heaven!

By BenGruda |

We don't make it to Syracuse very often, but we have watched Destiny grow, and grow and grow with each visit. Now they even have outlet stores, but the truth is that many of the outlet stores … well, sometimes the name doesn't reflect the prices. At any rate you need a couple of days to comb this place especially if you are not on a "mission" to find a specific item. If you cannot find a store here that you like to shop in, then I don't really know what you are looking for.

Hungry? Lots of choices as well. It also seems there are places for the kids to have fun.

If you have never been here you should go. Destiny is a destination!

Shopping

By TravelerXX1 |

I find destiny over rated and rather use amazon. The parking lot after dark is not what I feel safe or like leaving my car and I’m unsure if the 17 yrs with out a parent curfew is still there from all the trouble city youths were causing. Go during day light and don’t argue it’s not worth it. Last time I tried to park a mother in a mini van let all her kids run out and run through the lot lanes to stand and block me from parking in a spot while she was 2 lanes away. I don’t need drama or deal with that and avoid places like that.

Summer Fun Pass Experience

By Kelley J |

The best $50 I spent and a nice fun day inside during the winter. The escape room and 5 wits were fun and each lasted over an hour. We ended our day having a cheeseburger meal at margaritaville! Huge bonus was free SU men’s basketball tickets, we chose to go to the Clemson game and they won!

This place is huge!!!

By wesbec87 |

What can I say. We have been to malls before but this has got to be the best one so far. (I have yet to be to Minnesota Mall)
4-5 stories high. Every store you can think of.
Go cart track, glow golf, escape rooms, mirror room, bowling, food court, restaurants.
You can do everything with one stop.
Most of our group did the go carts and an escape room.
You have got to go into this mall.
Just make sure you watch your signs. You could get lost.

This mall is huge

By Jillyjillyjilly |

I was a bit overwhelmed by the size of this mall but I loved the vast selection of stores and food. They have Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Chang’s and many others. This is a multi level complex with stores for anyone’s taste. They even have a michaels for the crafty people. Plan enough time to walk the multiple levels.

Everything You Need In One Big Place

By Korky62 |

This mall has it all! Several floors with a food court, movie theaters, specialty shops and just too much to list.

There is now a hotel across the street with a foot bridge to go from the mall to the hotel. Easy access off of I-81 and just 2 hours to Canada.

I no longer live in the Syracuse area, but visit this mall every time I’m in town.

I live in the Binghamton area. The local mall, Oakdale Mall, has had several anchor stores close over the past 2 or so years. It was a nice change to see a vibrant shopping mall. In Destiny there are stores I've never seen, attractions I didn't know existed and restaurants I have never seen.
One amusement store had interactive goggles and the amusement park ride seating that coincides with the visual. The other is a cat walk type adventure. Sky Tykes looks like interesting and fun, something many malls don't have, or alot of people.
If you're in Syracuse, stop in and stroll around, you may be as surprised as I was.
I have to make a New Year's resolution to get out more!!!

Great shopping!

Destiny... Destined to go down

By donna l |

Have fun... At your own RISK

The mall needs to be beefing up their police presence. This mall is now on the local TV news channels for reports of stabbings and gunfire too often. We went today Feb 24,2023 and enjoyed the RPM raceway, 5 Wits and Build -A-Bear then heard a gunshot and raced ourselves out of there!! Mall security was running ahead of us and never told us what to do as we exited the mall! Will NEVER go back. Online ordering is safer. Many kids were there for end of school break. My granddaughter was very traumatized, that is first hand report.

Anything and everything you can imagine in a mall!

By Sheila J |

We decided to check out Destiny USA which was within walking distance to our hotel, Embassy Suites. It was the most amazing mall I'd ever seen. They had so many entertainment features like mini golf, movie theaters and virtual trips, just to name a few. There was just about any sort of restaurant or eating place that you could imagine. The variety of stores from department stores to boutiques and outlet mall stores could satisfy any shopping need. I wish it was closer than 10 hours away. I would be there a lot!

Shopping mall or a gaming place for the family

By Christian M |

Nice mall, but pricy. The sales that were offered were average, not impressive. When you reach the top levels, there's a lot of activities for the young and the older "kids/adults". If you are driving through and want to shop, the teens won't complain!

I avoid it if I can...

By GreatSweens |

The simple fact is I do not feel the mall is safe anymore. I have relatives in the Syracuse police force that tell me the things that happen here, the crime, the fights... I cannot justify going there, unless I have to go to the apple store. The restaurant are good, the kids love the wonderworks... don't get me wrong... but the stores and prices aren't a big draw for me.

Great Experience for. Mall

We visited Syracuse for business and were able to visit Destiny USA. Not your average mall. It has a great food court, movie theater, a go cart track and an indoor jungle play area. Yup there are the major and specialty vendors along with outlets. A unique experience.

Cuse fans!!

This Mall is a destination place if you are in town!! Great SYRACUSE fan shop!! Team gear for all ages!! For us, the best part was the large comic shop with a vast amount out back issues and collectibles!! A must for all shoppers!!

Wonderful experience for the whole family

This is the 6th largest mall in the United States and with over 250 plus shops it has something for everyone. We come for the exercise and window browsing. Of course with the numerous restaurants, you will never go without. They actually have a downloadable map of the mall if you want to walk all the floors which averages on or above 3 miles which is what we did.

For lunch we ate at PF Chang's then enjoyed specialty coffees at Starbuck. We capped off our venture with a movie at the mall's IMAX theater. For the energetic kids there are numerous adventures for them like an indoor race course to a rope course which is suspended above the ground and connected to artificial trees. There is a large food court with something for everyone. Doing 7 hours which we did went by quickly because of all the activities that you can do here. Parking is not a problem here and the staff are helpful should you have a question.

fun for the whole family

By Sherry K |

When ever we come to Syracuse we always ed up at Destiny USA. There is so much to do.While we rarely shop, we are always entertained. This mall competes with KING of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania to be the second largest mall in America. For entertainment they have a movies theater, bowling alley. museum of Intrege ,where you can play different forms of clue games which are good for the whole family no matter what age. Museum of Wonder, a hands on museum of different things, good for the whole family. A Comedy club, a rope corse, a go cart course. There are many other things to occupy time and amuse you in addition to shopping name brand stores. In addition there are several restaurants of all kinds of food. Some of the restaurants are chain restaurants. You can spend a good day there or maybe even more. Next tie you are in Syracuse you have to visit this mall. In addition all roads seem to lead to Destiny.

something to offer

This mall, unlike many in the area is vibrant and thriving. With 260 stores and less than 10 vacancies, there is something for everyone.

First Time Visitors, We Will Be Back!

By shrie |

What an incredible place for the family. We only had 3 days to go away for March Break so we drove to Syracuse - arrived late afternoon Friday and left midday Sunday and had a fantastic time. I was dreaming of puzzle solving by Sunday night - we did 5Witts, Mystery Room, Museum of Intrigue, Canyon ropes course, WonderWorks, Mirror Maze, some shopping, the Cheese Cake Factory and Texas de Brazil. Phew, what a whirlwind. We should have gone the first weekend of March Break while the winter package deal was still on but we didn't know about it. Next time we'll go when it's a bit less expensive!

Anything you could want to buy

By Phyllis1951 |

Need to go shopping while you are in Syracuse? What are you looking for? Best Buy, TJ Max, Macys, an outlet mall, get your nails and hair done, eat food stay at their ondite Hotel or go to a movie. It has it all.
There are over 250 places to shop, dine and play in this mall.

My shopping day out

By Q6152NQdanielr |

I find destiny to be boring. I seen some better malls in Albany, Rochester, and Virginia. There is far and in between store in some places. Resturant wise the cheese factory has a long wait and not a large seating area. Texas D Brazil is good but expensive. Johnny Rockets is in a weird location in the mall. Good court is so so. Funny Bone Comedy is fun, but sometimes political. Vanity Fair and Coach are greats bargain. Carmel Corn is delicious. Have a good time if you go.

Food and some entertainment

By Amy C |

It's snow season in Central New York which means recreation options are limited. I don't love snow so there are even fewer choices this time of year. Thankfully Destiny is nearby. There's good shopping and dining. This most recent trip included DSW, Poke Time, Kung Fu Tea, and Pole Position Go-karts.

Amazing mall

Visiting from Canada. A weekend of shopping. Needing clothes for a grade 6 graduation. Found everything we needed and more. So much entertainment in the mall. Definitely will be returning

Fun New Year’s Day shopping

Enjoyable

By Karen T |

Hubby and I love coming here when we are in town. We love picking up our Dunkin, strolling thru the mall and checking out the old and new stores. They are now in Christmas mode. Many really neat things to see. This is a must go to when in Syracuse. Plenty of restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. A one stop fits all.

Massive mall

By bg564 |

Huge mall with restaurants and activities for the kids. I great place to go on a hot summer day to walk and look at the shops. They have a good variety of sports shops as well as electronics and clothes.

Shopping for Everyone!

By whiskeygirl24 |

Feb 2, 2019, my family and I experienced the 6th largest shopping center in the USA, Destiny Mall. It has 3.5 floors of shopping, food and entertainment. You can find outlet shopping inside as well, although I did not find it to be outlet pricing. The 3rd floor is comprised of games and activities for the whole family. This is truly something to see, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Overall a mediocre shopping experience

By michellesarah12 |

We enjoyed shopping at all of the stores and there was a huge variety of different options of store to shop from. However my son wanted to go on the go karts which were over priced, rude staff and we ended up walking away. I don’t understand how there can’t be a parent and child riding together it makes no sense. We then decided to check out the children’s play area which was extremely over priced as well and even to watch your child you had to pay. The staff we dealt with was very rude and had a huge attitude. We will never return to them ever again. Overall a mediocre shopping experience. Could have been way better.

A Nice Destination for Shopping Etc.

By Barbara L. and Frank |

The surprising part about Destiny Mall is that, with other malls closing down faster than corona virus cancellations, Destiny keeps chugging along, with lots of stores, theaters, food courts and restaurants and a general up-beat vibe.

Sure, parking can get a bit problematic, even with the underground garage, when the crowds are high, with cars tailing leaving shoppers to their cars in the hopes of getting their parking space when they leave, but there is also extended parking across Hiawatha Boulevard if one is willing to walk across the covered bridge.
Inside, one can spend a full day (or come back for more days) of shopping and eating. The stores range from upscale to TJMaxx. Our visit was “just to look around,” and look we did, starting at Macy’s, detouring to Maxx, and spinning back to William Sonoma, and stopping at many stores along the way. A quick lunch at the food court where we split a delicious wrap from Chicken Now (had we timed it differently, we might have chosen an upscale restaurant as we have in the past), and we left to visit family living nearby. We didn’t cover all three floors (we never seem to have the time) but there were crowds of people moving about on all of them. I almost left out stopping at two chocolate stores which forced me to try their samples…like you have to twist my arm when it comes to chocolate.

Location wise, it is convenient to route 81 and, if one knows what he or she is doing, to route 690, giving one both east-west and north-south accessibility.
It’s a neat, clean, and pleasant place with lots to offer…and it is fun to be at.

My wife gets credit for these reviews, but they are written by her husband who usually dislikes mall shopping, but makes an exception when it comes to visiting Destiny USA.

Be patient

By GingerLē |

Our recent trip to the mall was good but the staff in all areas seem overworked and in need of help. One employee stated during the school breaks they are working 6-7 days with double shifts. It shows. Outside of the beautiful mall and upcoming hotels, etc is a poverty stricken city in need of work. There are clearly employers needing employees so do your city and yourself a justice and love your city again. Ty for the memories Syracuse!

Best place.

By GrandTour734731 |

Parking, stores you name it. Restaurants. Movies. Entertainment places. Fitness. Is one place for all.

What...a...place!

By 522annyr |

What a place!!! This place is amazing. My family and I had a blast. We originally went to Wonderworks but then found out that they have restaurants, stores and more fun to be had. We spent about five hours and didn’t make it to the other side of the mall. Definitely returning.

Hours of entertainment

By Steph R |

We don’t have malls like these in Maine. I stopped here when visiting NY and I was crazy excited. There were so many shops, restaurants, and things to do in the mall. Dave and Busters, awesome shops, and the cool ropes courses in the middle
The mall itself was beautiful with greenery and decor throughout. It was very open, and there was a ton to look at.

Variety

By prbanner |

Stopped here before attending a Syracuse Chiefs game on July 4th. We had a few hours to spend. We were going to go to a movie to escape the heat. The five boys in our group thought laser tag was a better option. We had a great time. The selection of shops has something for everyone. I definitely recommend this mall if you are in Syracuse. It is only 5 minutes from the Chiefs stadium.

Huge mall with a lot to do!!

By kraussy13 |

Family fun and food for all ages. Large amount of stores to pick from. WonderWorks has multiple things to do, skywalk, laser tag, play area. We will be returning to see the rest of it. My wife and I went for massages!!

Great Selection Of Stores

By Eric A |

This enclosed mall is updated and modern with a selection of fine and interesting retail, food and entertainment tenants. There are many stores for everyone here for a family or individual experience.

Big mall

By PAmomroadtripper |

Not quite as big as the mall of America. There seem to be three sections, entertainment/eating, regular stores and outlet stores. Lots of choices.
