2 of 17 Best Attractions in Bay Lake

Visited hollywood studios to see how the place is after a 5 year wait and what a a diffrence the star wars additions have made as a star war fan this is probably biased but its amazing all the detail is second to none the rides are epic make sure u ride then multiple times as there so much to see cutting edge rides with massive detail with the millennium falcon looking stunning great day which was finished off with classic fantasmic show Long day but well worth it

Lovely experience, everything well set, very friendly people, everything wonderful; today I am in Epic Universe and the experience comparing has been very bad and more expensive than in that beautiful park

We did Hollywood studios "After Hours" and during the day - highly recommend After Hours - particularly in the Orlando heat in July. We got on most rides within 10-15 mins, other than Rise of the Resistance within the 4 hrs we were there 7-11pm.
During the Day session - Genie+ and Lightning Lanes are a MUST. The heat made the 12-4pm portion of the day unbearable, even after deliberately going on the water rides early in the day to cool down.
Compared to Disneyland in California (which we did in 2015) we felt Orlando was not as good value - they seemed to spread the same rides over more parks so you have to pay more, created the most confusing Genie+ / Lightning Lanes system EVER and slightly different priviledges at different hotels to compound the confusion (?@&!?&$).
Food options also seem limited and less healthy and of course expensive.

The most popular ride is Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. Go as soon as the park opens and the queue is not too bad. Then do Smuggler’s Run and that is the Star Wars area done.
The other popular rides are the Tower of Terror - the drop in the lift never gets stale, and Toy Mania shoot them up. The roller-coaster Slinky Dog and Aerosmith also get long queues. In between, the Indiana Jones’s stunt show is an entertaining break.
The day ends with the Fantasmic show- a water and light show (no fireworks!) which is worth the watch.
It’s not a big park and you should be able to do most of it in a day.

The park has Star Wars so that makes it the best place to visit. Rise of the Resistance is simply the best ride in all the parks, but the Star Wars area probably needs huge expansion to bring the park up to date like Universal.
Some areas look dated and we did this and Magic Kingdom on a park hopper. That worked very well as everything is very organised.

Excellent day, with some thorough planning, on a Thursday.
Genie plus is essential, where we got a Slinky Dog for midday, once this was used we were able to start using them on other attractions, walking on to everything else. We rope dropped Runaway Railway, then did some character meets with short queues, paid lighting lane for rise of the resistance later in the day.
We did not eat here as the food tends to be overpriced and not great, so budget went on maximising our rides, even doing star tours multiple times.
Tip;
Rope drop Minnie and Mickey Runaway Railway
Genie Plus Slinky Dog - for as early in the day as possible - as soon as it hits 7am!
Lightning Lane Rise of the Resistance

I said that I wouldn’t come back after we experienced the newly implemented Genie+ a few years back but we gave it another try and oh my…it is just as bad. I wish they would bring the old reservation system back where you could actually plan out you day well in advance and schedule three rides a day in advance.
Now even if you stay at a Disney resort AND buy Genie+ you likely need to do the early hours (to wait in line) and get one major attraction in, do Genie+ for another major attraction and then pay for a lightening pass for the third (because you are very unlikely to get another major attraction on the same day). You WILL be constantly on your phone with no time to enjoy your family — so very stressful. Mind you, under the old system, all of this was part of admission as long as you stayed on property.
The food quality has also gone downhill in a major way.
Do yourself a favor and spend time at Universal. We always have a marvelous experience there without all the expense and stress.

Man this hurts to only give 3 stars. Huge Star Wars fan and the reviews were mostly pretty good. Rise of Resistance was average at best. I’d give 5 stars in how visually stunning it is, but the ride fell well short of all expectations. Glad I did it, but frankly I don’t understand how or why somebody would wait in a line to ride this more than once in their life. Smugglers Cove was super lame. Only good thing is that we did the “single rider” line and only had to wait maybe 10 minutes. The wait time for normal riders was over an hour. For a purely rude experience, Rock and Roller coaster and Tower of Terror blow away the Star Wars rides.
Loved the concept of Olga’s Cantina but I just don’t think they pulled it off as well as it could be done. Got 3 different drinks and the meat and cheese tray for 50$. For that price I would think the could have the bartenders wearing some alien make up or maybe a Greedo character walking around.
But overall today left me wanting more. More rides=less wait time= a way more enjoyable Star Wars experience

We first visited Disney in 1989 and have returned when we had children and now with grandchildren. Characters have changed over the years as new films etc are released.
Disney cast members have always been indoctrinated in the customer first culture and we have appreciated the excellent service we have received over the years.
On the 10th August we visited the Edna Mode experience and whilst I have no idea who she is the children were impressed and had a photo.
On exiting we came into contact with Evelyn and Frozone another two characters who were unknown.
This provided another photo opportunity and so I retired to a nearby bench whilst family attempted to get a photo. Frozone mingled .as there was no Q. I shared a bench with another lady having a break who pointed out that she was unsure who was the animated character. She was referring to Evelyn so we both sat and watched the show.
Evelyn was waffling away in a dialect that we both could not understand. Her intonations were inconsistent and each sentence ended in a raising of pitch. She was in a state of anomie. We found this mildly amusing until we became aware that she was inhibiting some children from access to Frozone. We have all experienced egocentric children but later I understand that she was "concerned because she had a problem family" guess who's?
Evelyn please think carefully about your comments. All the adults in our party are teachers or retired teachers. His aunty eventually tired of your incessant diatribe and took her 5 year old nephew to have his photo.
Please reflect. Thank you Frozone.
We enjoyed a day and you will too.

I used to love Disney Studios, it had an instant appeal for my wife and I.
How things change, first the appalling lightning lane system. It is a great way to stop people ever entering your parks again. The ratio they were letting 'standby' on was approximately 4 standby to 40 lightning. As a consequence the lines on some rides are massive.
I appreciate it was the holiday period but 4 hours to get on a kids ride is simply nuts.
Additionally attitude from staff has significantly gone down hill fast. Many are so full of entitlement they appear they simply don't want to be there.
I have never experienced this in any Disney park before.
Positives were detail in some areas such as Star Wars.
Sad to say but I have decided to retire from visiting Disney parks after my experience here. Having experienced this day, it won't be missed!

We recently returned home from a holiday in Orlando and visited all Disney and Universal parks, Hollywood Studios was hands down my absolute favourite park. This may be because I am a huge Star Wars nerd and a product of the 80s, but this park blew me away.
On our first visit (yes, I returned multiple times), we arrived at about 08:00 via the Skyliner, which was conveniently linked to our resort. We thought there would be a huge queue, but we were pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. We were guided through early entry by the Disney cast and made a beeline for the Tower of Terror. We really wanted to get this one out of the way before losing breakfast!
Next, we queued for a very short time to get onto Aerosmith's Rock N Roller Coaster. What an absolute blast that ride is, everything from the launch to the soundtrack was peak enjoyment. I was saddened to learn that it is going to be "re-imagined".
We queued a little longer for Slinky-dog, but no longer than 40 minutes. This ride bridges the gap nicely between "child coasters" and "grown-up" coasters. The theming in the Toy Story land is also amazing, lots of cool little easter eggs and appearances.
We also did a few meet and greets near the Toy Story land, and we met Sully, Edna, and Frozone!
We tried the world-famous Mickey Waffles for breakfast at Fairfax fare. They were not the best waffles I have tasted, but they were adorable in their little Mickey shapes.
We experienced Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway next, and I was surprised by the level of imagineering that goes into that ride, with some very cool techniques being used.
After Toy Story Land, we headed over to Galaxy's Edge and did the obligatory Star Tours simulator en route. You get to walk under a giant AT-AT, and that in itself is astounding. We had the Hoth experience (the second time we did this, we were in Kashyyyk). We rode this in EuroDisney, and the theming and charm of the ride is just as we remembered it.
When we got into the centre of Galaxy's Edge and my jaw dropped when I was confronted with a full-scale Millennium Falcon! One more time, a FULL-SCALE MILLENIUM FALCON!! After I stopped staring a recovered from the biggest fanboy moment of my life, we got in the queue for Smugglers run and I could have spent two hours in that queue quite happily staring at all the trinkets, desyphering the Aurabesh signs and playing along with the Hondo PlayDisney missions, sadly the queue moved too quickly (not something I say often) and we were on within 30 minutes.
There is only one thing that beats staring at the outside of a full-scale Millennium Falcon, and that is being INSIDE A FULL-SCALE MILLENIUM FALCON! As you get near the end of the queue, you enter that familiar lounge area where Luke trained with Obi-Wan and Chewie and C3-PO played Holochess. Every detail was perfect and exactly as I remembered it from the movies.
Once you move out of the lounge, the magic is spoiled slightly by the separation of groups into different directions to partake in your quest, but I can excuse this as each of the duplicate, detailed cockpits looks identical (I came back and rode this again, also found the mini falcon on the outside of the ship and had a Wookie Cookie), and you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the one and only cockpit which sat our furry friend and Han.
The five of us tried our best to pilot, fire, and engineer our way through the ride, but due to some communication breakdown, I think we hit just about everything but the targets. Still had a whale of a time and a HUGE grin on my face at the end of it.
We ate lunch at Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7 (split the group up to try more food), the food here was great, but I think they could have done more on the theming to make it more "Star Wars".
We hung out a bit in Galaxy's Edge and experienced Rise of the Resistance, which was again a very well-themed technological triumph, but because it is based on the new trilogy rather than the original, I wasn't quite as psyched up.
We had a gigantic Funnel cake as a "snack" from Epic Eats, and it certainly was EPIC! Snacks in the US are no joke; they are entire meals sometimes.
We got ourselves over to the Launching Bay and we got big hugs from my favourite furry Wookie Chewbacca and met my kids' favourite droid BB8.
We ran out of time for the shows on the first day, but we returned and did Indiana Jones stunt spectacular (which was good if a little cheesy) and Villains unhappily ever after, which was a great little 20-minute show featuring everyone's favourite villains.
Overall, I loved this park, I want to come back again and again. There is so much we didn't do, like the Lightsaber and droid build and some of the less popular rides, but next time I'll be sure to get those done too!

Galaxy edge still busy as ever. The trick to use single rider lanes now being used by families which will mean them being split up. Saves time though.
Not a ride I would want to queue an hour for. Interaction with stormtroopers walking round.
Plenty to see but over the years you see the cut backs. No walking of stormtroopers any more. The Indiana Jones show is tired and they cut scenes at short notice due to health and safety. Hope people realise these are actors and not the real stunt doubles.
Shade from the sun can be found in the character meets, but sadly people feel it is ok to lay down and take the full seat themselves.
Mermaid under the sea been shut for ages. Nothing new for this park.
The final show is after the park shuts and the skyliner shuts 60 minutes after park closure.....so how do people get back to hotels? Nobody could answer that query.

The place is very cool, like all other Disney parks, although it wasn't my favorite, it's an amazing place, the shows are fantastic, my favorite the Frozen, literally make the place snowy.

It was clean, the online mobile ordering food was quick and simple. Star wars was nice. Only complaints, not enough water stations and not enough seating. Definitely not enough shaded areas. But it was a great day. Rise of the resistance was my favorite ride. Slinky dog dash has a 3 hour wait and I couldn't get lightening lane for it. To me this felt like a half day park. However 10/10 would recommend.

Lots of good shops, rides, shows and eateries. 25 bucks to park extracts the urine considering no lot trams. Some really good cast members and some really bad cast members.

Had early access to only see Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash down. With Muppet Vision area closed the day prior this is more piss poor Disney. Feel bad for families paying a fortune to come here and booking a time slot to be told oh well no refunds come back another time! We park hopped to Epcot at 12:30 and neither ride had opened yet.

The attractions -rides and many of the shows -were excellent. Restaurants take very good care of people with allergens. My only complaint is the light show at the end of the day. Fantasmic -as it is called - is extremely frightening and not suitable for children. It shows huge depictions of evil Disney villains in particularly scary fashion. I saw many parents leave with their little ones who were sure to have nightmares afterward.

All the fun of the movies, if you like the movies, if you like shows that could put broadway to shame, some epic rides, and a cetrain galaxy far far away this is the olace to be, one last run on Rocking Rollercoaster in its current form, a trip to the tower of terror go see Fantasmic or the excelent new Villians show, a trip to andy room from toystory or join the resistance in star wars land absoulte epic.

Has always been since I was a child and will always be my favourite park in Disney World!
There is sooo much to do here from all the amazing rides and attractions to the fabulous food stops to the complete immersive experiences in the different lands! I can’t wait to see all the new attractions that are added soon that will make it even more!
A must do! Also, try to visit in the evening and watch Fantasmic- it is so amazing and great to see all those characters!

Long wait times. Too crowded. On full capacity. Horrible experience. Not worth it at all. Rides got stuck up in the middle.

I love Hollywood studios. I know not all of our party felt the same as me but I love that it’s more laid back and thee is some awesome rides here. Love Star Wars area and rise of resistance a brilliant ride. We could and should have went back here as we didn’t cover it all in the day we were here but I feel that just means we have to do Disney again sometime in the future!

We came on a muggy hot day in August with two teens. The rides were awesome, as Star Wars fans, we spent quite a bit of time in the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge area. The Millenium Falcon smugglers run ride was a favourite and needed a group of 6 to operate the falcon as a team. This was a great ride but over far too quickly. The Indiana Jones stunt show was okay but the faux directing and acting was a little lame, still the explosions and stunts were fun. The Tower of Terror hotel ride was very cool but don’t go on it if you don’t like drop roller coasters. It was very exciting but don’t eat lunch just before! Possibly the best ride was the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. They really made you feel like you were in the Star Wars movie/universe - a must see. We also got photos with Donald Duck and bought the obligatory mouse ears! The main negatives, $25 per day to park on top of expensive admission. The food / drinks were expensive and if you wanted to get out of the heat, you had to go into one of the shops or restaurants and that got tiresome quickly. There were some long queues for rides and we paid extra for Genie Plus that gave us lightning passes that allowed us to take the fast track queue to rides. I think this is a must unless you want to spend 30-60mins queuing on the longer rides. The park opened at 8:30 am and we arrived at 10 for our first booked ride and finished by about 4 after having done 5 rides. My wife booked the tickets so I’m not sure how much Genie Plus / Lightning tickets were but it is not a cheap experience. $80 for lunch for 4 was quite a lot, I guess you can bring your own sandwiches. Despite the niggles of the costs, I would throughly recommend visiting - great for teens and bringing the inner kid out of adults!

I went to Hollywood Studios with a family of 11...am I am also a Travel Agent...I have never been so dissapointed in a Disney Park.
We did a standby line of 40 minutes at Star Wars Falcons Run and shortly before getting on the actuall ride, we were turned away because it was malfunctioning. ...a few hours later tried to get on Reo Speedwagon roller coaster and it was not working for hours
never got on it ..but what really nerved us was the Slinky Dog ride. It said 45 minutes...but they kept passing lighling lane people over and over and over. We ended up on a two hour wait. It was a SERIOUS ABUSE for standby people. As a 36 year veteran travel agent I feel Disney has made things so bad that it has lost all the magic.

Having tried all 4 Disney parks during our fortnight at Disney, this is our all time favourite, even though it is pretty much plagued with the same issues as the other parks (long queues, over crowded, rides breakdowns) but the rides here are so much more enjoyable.
Our favourite rides :
Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Twilight Zone Tower or Terror
We couldn't get onto Slinky Dog Dash because by 9-ish am, the queue was over 70 mins long! But it looks quite similar to Brainstormer at Magic Kingdom (with shorter queue!).
We stayed on for the Fantasmic! show one night and it was amazing. We went for the Fantasmic! Dining Package to get good seats for the show. Be sure to book the restaurant of choice nice and early! We were scrambling to get into the Sci-Fi Dine In theatre restaurant a couple of weeks to our trip, but I booked into the second choice restaurant until spaces became available.

I think its fair to say that this park is a little bit of a work in progress compred to the others. While the Star Wars and Toy Story attractions have brought new life to the park, there is still a lot of deadwood around the place with many older attractions now closed and some a little outdated.
That said; I think my family probably enjoyed our time here more than some of the other parks. We took to arriving over in the afternoon and staying through the evening in an effort to beat the queues - we had some luck on that front though some of stage shows finish earlier (eg Indiana Jones Stuntshow - last show is c.4.30pm).

I went to Jollywood Nights and it was a blast!! It was so cool to see the Christmas lights and characters! I had the best time ever!

Disneys Hollywood studios is an excellent theme park for all ages which rides from slow moving kids rides to high speed rollercoasters. All the rides are brilliant but our family's favourite was either rock n' rollercoaster or the Star Wars rides and the tower of terror. Those are just a few of the amazing rides this theme park has to other. I 100% recommend a visit to this theme park if you are either on holiday to Orlando or live there.

We had a good time but noticed a reduction the quality of the experience in some areas compared to our previous visits.
We were left sitting with nothing happening for ten minutes, strapped in and ready to go on the Star Tours ride.
Also were were most disappointed that The Little Mermaid show was closed and there had been no mention of this online prior to our visit.
Also one restaurant had a minimum $63 per person spend for adults and $40 spend for 3-9 year olds! Really?

We entered the event right at 6:00. There were a lot of people in line ahead of us, but we got in fairly quickly. They put everyone's wrist bands on the right wrist and had you show your wrist a lot in the first couple of hours. This was worth the hassle because the ride line times dropped quickly during that time as they ousted the regular ticketholders. The fireworks show at 9:00 was great and included a projection element that was cute. The Glisten! skating show was a little corny, but if you're into that sort of thing it's fun. My biggest critique, however, was the lack of any low-carb food options, and very few savory options (and all that we tried were spicy). But there were mountains of sugary treats at every turn. We didn't eat before, expecting it to be like Epcot's Food and Wine festival, but it was very much not. And the Brown Derby was not accepting any sort of walk-ups, only reservations. If we went again, we would eat before and just focus on getting in as many rides as we could.

Sadly it’s all about getting as much money from the guests as they can. Tickets, Parking, and even the merchandise extortionate. Basically if you can afford it you’re welcome. 12:30 before we actually got on a the first ride. This was after queuing and being delayed because of technical issues with the ride.
Been a few times in the past think Disney has lost its appeal and doesn’t consider those who save for a supposed life time experience. We should have known better.

We recently visited Hollywood Studios and was impressed by the holiday feel created at the park in spite of the holiday chaos and crowds.
Along Hollywood Blvd and the Echo Lake area, we heard piped-in 1950/60s holiday music (such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas) and saw cute life-size retro "ceramic" decorations dotting the landscape (such as the poodles in front of Hollywood & Vine) and lots of tinsel and decorated garland everywhere. The Echo Lake area featured Santa hat-wearing Gertie surrounded by oversize glass ball decorations floating in the lake and a Christmas tree with old-fashioned "blown glass decorations". We also saw the Seasons Jukebox carolers and the Holiday Spirit Marching Band do holiday favorites. We missed seeing the Juggling Elves. The evening ends with a short Sunset Seasons light projection show (plays throughout the evening so no need to find a good place to watch ahead of time) on the Tower of Terror Hotel.
There is less holiday theming in the Hollywood Studios lands: Toy Story Land (Hamm sugar cookie, some holiday clothing draped on Buzz and Woody and Christmas music played on Alien Swirling Saucers) and no holiday decor in Galaxy Edge. The Frozen Sing-Along Celebration show has a holiday twist at the end of the show.
Suggestion to WDW: sell Christmas tree ornaments reflecting the Hollywood Studios holiday decorations (such as Santa Gertie and the ceramic poodles)

To say that this is a miserable place is an understatement. Yes, the attention to detail in each of the areas is impressive. But the sheer amount of people and all the waiting just make it awful. The lightning lane process is unnecessarily complicated. The standby lines are ridiculously long for literally every thing. We were hot, tired, and stressed basically all day. Even finding a place to sit and eat was impossible. The adults stopping every few feet to get the perfect Instagram shot blocked the flow of people on many occasions. Vacation should be relaxing and this is not relaxing. The only thing that redeemed our day was rise of the resistance. That ride is absolutely amazing. Nothing else was worth the money or the waits. This was our first and last Disney experience.

My wife and I visited Disneyworld in January two years in a row. Simply stated, the wait times in the standby lines and ride breakdowns were unacceptable. The elimination of the free fast passes has contributed mightily to this. There is also no guidance when attractions have broken down. You step into a cue, and it simply does not move. If you add up airfare, rental car and hotel (the Port Orlean Riverside was nice), only getting on 4 to 7 rides per day is unacceptable. This complaint includes Epcot and the Animal Kingdom as well.

Took my family to hollywood studios and wanted to ride rock n roller coaster which was out. Then went over to tower of terror which closed to mechanical issues. After, we went to indian jones show and they couldn’t finish the whole show due to mechanical issues. Needless to say we left. Definitely threw a wrench in the family vacation in which we don’t know when we can do that again.

I’ve been coming to Disney since the very first day the magic kingdom opened in 1971. Disney used to Be a magical place to visit . The past couple of years i have watched the customer service and magic disappear!! We have had family yearly passes on and off for the past couple of years and decided as a family today this will be the last time we will get our passes . We are done with paying exorbitant amounts of money to vacation at Disney and have an experience that’s equal to being in hell… Nothing magical about how we lead the cast members treat you and how they shuttle you through lines like your cattle. i’m sure if Walt Disney was alive today he would be appalled at the way things are run .

We had a great time (second visit, kids older) at HS. with focus on Indiana Jones, Star Wars and things for older kids it was a great day. The staff made my birthday extra special so a shout out of thanks. I love this park: the vibe is great, its clean, not as crowded. we came when the kids were small and it was super (Belle, interactive attractions) and now older for star wars. a great day!

If I had to choose, this is probably my least favorite Disney park in Disney World and that says a lot because I still rated this 5 stars! Personally, I think this park has a bit of an identity crisis at times, and crowd control can be a bit better but there’s not denying how beautiful this park is and how incredible the attractions are! Tower of Terror is my favorite, it would’ve been Rise of the Resistance which is understandable, but that ride does break down quite often. Also, Disney Genie + is a huge ripoff, especially at this particular park. The build-a-droid experience was super fun though I think the price has gone way up since we tried it. Oga’s Cantina is fun, you don’t get a lot of time in there but you really don’t need that much time in there anyway. If you’re gonna book a lightsaber experience do that ASAP!

The park is really very expensive. So you expect something. The public seems to ‘act’ happy because they pay top dollars. Waiting times are up to 105 minutes for an attraction, which you can avoid with a genius pass. For extra money. But: the way to book is quite complicated and it makes you constantly being busy with your ‘plan’. There are are only a few attractions worth going with teenagers, but the price is far too high to enjoy. Waste of money, they let too many people inside. Unless you like to eat and drink all day, I’ve never seen so many restaurants and other places to eat ….

Before we got the venue we were quite shocked by the car parking price, $30 unless you wanted preferred parking, which was $55. The last time we visited Orlando, about 12 years ago, the parking was $12!
We are on a nostalgic trip to Orlando with two of our grown up children and decided to ‘do’ one park and picked the Disney Holllywood studios. The tickets were pricey, I paid about $700 for 4 tickets. I decided not to pay extra for the Genie + ( fast pass is long gone) and I must admit I did regret it as we had to queue for 90 minutes for two of the rides we went on. Luckily by the time we got to the Tower of Terror the queue was only 60 minutes.
Having to queue for so long certainly cuts down the number of rides you can go on. The three shows we saw were enjoyable. However considering what the tickets cost and what we managed to see in the time we were there - 9 hours, I would say it is was not value for money.

Disney, you need to re- evaluate your queuing system. While waiting patiently in line for the Slinky Dog ride it became apparent that we were making little progress. Disney think they are being smart keeping the standby lane from seeing how many lightning lane riders the attendant is letting onto the ride. It became obvious he was completely clearing the lightning lane before any of us in the standby lane. So if the lightning lane had fifty riders in it, it meant the standby lane had to wait much longer than anticipated. I agree they have paid extra but come on Disney so has everyone else ! SORT THIS DISNEY!

Park was great with rides and attractions for all ages and well worth going to spend a couple of days at.
The only issue was the Round Up restaurant, where the Toy Story themed restaurant offers a set menu and price but 90% of the meat was really undercooked and not good at all and they charged us $70 service charge which they couldn’t remove due to the small print😡. Waitress was exceptional though but the food I would avoid.

Park is not what it used to be so many broken rides and even Fantasia with technical difficulties even with lightening pass so limited you wind up waiting 70 minutes anyway. used to be short skits and parades as you walked around but none yesterday.
Indiana jones was having tech difficulties was less than a third of the show it was supposed to be. Olga Cantina made reservations months in advance there were 6 of us and crowded in two other couples then told us we only had 45 minutes ordered two appetizers they gave us one fork and one knife for six people and no plates just napkins rude waitress brought bill after only 30 minutes prob was 10 to 15 before we got food and drinks so the 45 minutes was bad enough but 30 when they asked us to pay was ridiculous the bathrooms were not clean at hollywood studios either they need to spend time on maintenance and cleaning. more money far less quality and I have been going for many years to Disney World first trip 1974

This park was great. My husband is a Star Wars fan, and they had a big area there with Star Wars. I learned a lot about them and have now become interested in Star Wars seals. Poden and Minman drove the Milennion Falcon (guaranteed wrong, but 🤣🤣) and they cost themselves. We also drove a couple of other attractions, but since my shape was not good, I left them to drive. We didn't reach the whole park, but absloutt somewhere we'll come back to

We enjoyed our time here. We really liked the new Villains show and as always, Fantasmic. We liked Toy Story Land and of course, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

The park is a must for Star Wars fans because it is extremely well done, the settings are very realistic but frankly the price is exorbitant for very few attractions in reality the waiting time is extraordinarily long and it is very boring, obviously there are a lot of things to buy to make Mickey happy... 🤮🇺🇲🤮😆😆

My adult children & their significant others & I planned a trip to Orlando. It was a lot cheaper to stay on Universal Studios property and pay for their tickets. My son was turning 18 during this trip and has been dying like my other children to visit Galaxies Edge, so we booked 1 day at Hollywood Studios. We were there before opening for off site guests, paid extra (Genie+) for each person on top of the ridiculous base ticket price & still were not able to ride Slinky Dog or Rise of the Resistance. To us, we've never experienced either and we were so extremely disappointed that we couldn't do either in a 10 hour day. Others may not think that this is a big deal, but for us, it was my son's actual birthday & my daughter-in-law's very first time to Disney. Of course, we made it a great day, but may now be hesitant to come back. It's always been a family favorite, but to pay all that money and not be able to experience things unless you want to pay extra is truly sad on Disney's part.

Disney Hollywood Studios is a complete disaster! The sheer number of people crammed into the park is suffocating. Forget about enjoying any attractions because you'll spend most of your time waiting in never-ending lines that make purgatory seem like a vacation spot. Seriously, waiting times are so ridiculous, you'll contemplate the meaning of life while standing in line for a churro. Save yourself the agony and spend your hard-earned money.
It's like being trapped in a sardine can with thousands of sweaty, irritable strangers all vying for a glimpse of Mickey Mouse. The wait times for rides are so absurdly long that you'll start to question if time itself has stopped. And good luck trying to find a decent place to eat without feeling like you're in a Hunger Games-style battle royale for a table. This place is a prime example of how corporate greed can ruin the magic of childhood dreams. Save your sanity and steer clear of this overcrowded, overpriced disaster of a theme park.

A lot of rids, some need to wait for 75 minutes, Star War is a must for Star War fans, everything else is so expensive, overall, well worth it!

If you're a Star Wars fan or a Toy Story fan, this is the park for you. If you don't care for those franchises, you might get a little bored.
The Star Wars section has really grown and is very well done, in my opinion. The decor and tiny attention to detail is impressive. Building a light saber was highly immersive, and I do recommend it. The Toy Story land is also decorated exceptionally and very immersive. Be aware that any special events in this park like Droid building and saber building do require reservations. Most restaurants in this park are also reservation only. Start checking your app 60 days out from your visit so you can begin booking extras.

Disappointed. We went May 4th especially for galaxies edge. The park didn’t promote or celebrate May 4th and atmosphere was lack lustre. Overall the park compared poorly to universal, very limited food options, very limited shopping and food/drinks/stores repetitive. Overall the park seemed tired, no real atmosphere and limited experiences

My love as a Star Wars fan! You may live your dreams and it's totally normal there. Purchase Lightning Lane tickets and you'll get each ride the time you desire without waiting. I'll be back in the future!

Spent a day at Hollywood Studios as we are huge Star Wars fans. Well worth the admission. Did not purchase Express Passes so had to wait in the standby lane. Longest wait was about 1 hour. Food was reasonably priced. The afternoon and evening parade were good, about 10-12 minutes in length. Didn’t stay for the fireworks. Parking was $35.

STAGE SHOWS: Know the schedules for the live-shows (Indiana Jones, Frozen, Beauty & the Beast) - seating fills up quickly and you might not be admitted after the show starts.
FOOD: Before your visit, add a credit card to your Disney app so that you can do mobile ordering to avoid long lines. Also check the menus so your picky eater does not have a hangry meltdown (will your child be happy with a farro salad at the ABC Commissary that does not serve beef burgers, pizza or chicken fingers?).
Eat an early or late lunch to avoid long wait times during peak meal hours at popular places like Woody's Lunch Box (even the mobile order wait time for lunch was over 1/2 hour on a post-holiday weekend visit) and the Galaxy Edge eateries.
SINGLE RIDER LINES (SRL): SRLs are time-savers but you might still have a long wait for Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance (45 minute SRL wait for Resistance on a recent post-holiday weekend visit). Doing the SRL may also mean missing the immersive queue and pre-shows. SRL rules are strictly enforced so skip the SRL if you do not want to be separated from your child.
FANTASMIC: Line up early for Fantasmic especially if there is only one show scheduled. Be prepared to leave your stroller in a mini parking lot of strollers (attach an Apple air tag to your stroller to help you find it after the show). If sitting in the center of the arena, sit at least 10 rows back to avoid getting wet from the water cannons and the intense heat from the lake fire. Avoid the mob of people leaving the arena at the end of the show by waiting just 10 minutes.
AFTER HOUR EVENTS: Finally, consider skipping the park during the day and do an After Hour event for smaller crowds (shorter lines for rides), cooler weather during the dusk and evening hours and free snacks. Plan ahead as the limited After Hour event tickets go on sale months in advance and some dates sell out quickly. Plus during the holidays, Hollywood Studios hosts Jollywood Nights.
ANNUAL PASSHOLDER DISCOUNT: Many Hollywood Studio shops and a few restaurants (such as Roundup Rodeo BBQ) offer discounts to Annual Passholders. The discount for evening event tickets varies for the different parks.

Similar to our Magic Kingdom visit this park was massively overcrowded which almost justified a terrible marking. Only redeemed itself with a second visit in which we managed to get on a couple of rides but again waiting times maxed out to 70-90 minutes making it unobtainable if you had difficulty standing that long.
Possibly some of the best sets in Star Wars and Toy Story but again queues are big.
Food outlets chosen were poor, ABC full 30 minutes after opening so had to wait for food and table. Round up rodeo restaurant a big let down for service and food.

I saw an earlier review talking about the after-hours event, and that's what I'm going to talk about as well. I was in Orlando for business and knew I wouldn't be able to get to any of the parks during the day. So when I found out that DHS was having an after hours night, I just had to sign up. And honestly, I don't think I can ever go to a Disney park any other way again!
As mentioned by the previous reviewer, Disney After Hours is a separate ticket event, and officially runs from 10 pm to 1 am. However, if you buy a ticket for this, the park will allow you in at 7:00 pm, so you are technically getting 6 hours at the park. I believe my ticket was approximately $150 and I'll say this, it was absolutely worth it.
Being able to ride major attractions that are known for 2+ hour waits with minimal to no lines (and also not having to worry about Genie+ or Lightning Lanes) was worth every penny. I walked on to Star Tours and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, twice walked onto Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway (an absolute must see), had zero wait for Toy Story Midway Mania, had an elevator basically waiting for me at Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and sat in a Muppet theater with about 20 other people. Rise of the Resistance had a 25 minute wait, but that was at 8:00 pm, so the event hadn't officially started yet, but I figured I'll take 25 minutes over the usually insane lines this attraction gets (and by the way, even if you aren't a Star Wars fan, this is one of the most incredible ride experiences anwyhere). Again, being able to get on several headliner attractions without having to deal with virtual queues was fantastic. Rides I did have to wait for included Slinky Dog Dash (25 minutes at 10:00 pm) and oddly the Alien Swirling Saucers (15 minutes). Also during the official event hours, there were several carts set up throughout the park serving "free" popcorn, Mickey Ice Cream bars and other ice cream treats, and bottled beverages. I had 2 sodas and 2 Mickey bars since they said "unlimited" treats. I was just getting my money's worth!
Disney's Hollywood Studios has come a long way since it first opened back as a "fully functioning film studio". There are some truly world-class attractions here and if a more relaxing time at the park sounds good to you, look for when they are having the next After Hours event and treat yourself. I believe Epcot and Magic Kingdom also have this event, so next time I am in town, I will definitely be going to check those out. I'm too old to be dealing with wall-to-wall people!

We went to the Disney Hollywood Studios after hours event. We had a blast! It was still busy, but we were able to do multiple rides repeatedly. Still a long line for rock ‘n’ roll coaster, rise of the resistance, and slinky dog, but everything else was walk on. They had plenty of soda, bottled water, popcorn, and ice cream trees available throughout the park.

Loved the theming in this park, especially in the star wars and toy story lands. Slinky dog ride is fantastic for younger kids first big rollercoaster. Star wars rides and characters walking around were great for any starwars fans. Managed to get a photo with mandalorian and chewie.
This park is very popular as it has alot of cool rides for all ages so unfortunately it does see quite long que times for all rides. One day we got to the park in the morning and every ride had an hour que time so if you can afford lighting lane passes I would use them here.

We loved the atmosphere and particularly enjoyed the rides. Toy Story Mania was our favourite.
Of course, be prepared to wait in line : we waited between 15 and 90 minutes depending on the ride and time. But it was worth it !

The whole park lacks organisation and layout it does not flow at all when compared to its competitors at Universal Studios. Spaces are narrow, dead ends rather than an endless flow to access all areas. The attractions are dated and limited in their appeal. It is a park that has gone downhill over the years. Even the latest additions of Star Wars is a huge fail!! What a missed opportunity…. Merchandise is poor, interaction is poor, considering what Disney paid for Star Wars they are not making the most of it!! Give it a miss!!

some of our favorite rides ever are here it's such a fun park one thing I have to say is all there is is rides barely and stores which I hate stores to me this is a good theme park because I love rides

Our family had a wonderful time years ago at the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. We were able to get on a lot of rides and we enjoyed some shows as well - no issues. We returned recently to use up Park Hopper days. The
Genie plus BS is ridiculous. I refuse to stress myself out early in the morning booking rides and I’m not paying extra either. Just another way to make up for money lost during COVID.

The Christmas decorations in the park were so pretty!! Loved it. Minnie’s Railway and Rise of the Resistance are worth planning around. They are top notch experiences. If you can take the Skyliner to or from EPCOT that adds to the joy. Love you, Disney!

According to me Disney's best park in Orlando if you have a little older children. The Starwars part is very worth seeing and the most fun ride is "Rise of the Resistance" which is worth 5+ even if the queue times are long.

Visited this park two years ago when we done all the Disney parks, loved it then and even more so now after doing the Universal parks. An amazing park, with brilliant rides and areas. Loved Star Wars land, Star Tours and Rose of the Resistance were brilliant. Toy Story land is brilliant, although the Slinky Dog ride queue is nowhere near the time shown. 60 minutes is easily 90 minutes. Went to the Beauty and the Beast show and as before was very good. Aerosmith roller coaster still open, which was a highlight. Stayed for the light show and Fantasmic, which we missed last time, glad we stayed on as the show was brilliant.

The Star Wars land is brilliant with some amazing rides. Some constructive feedback for Disney, There needs to be more Stormtroopers walking around as it's very difficult to get photos with them and 90% of guests really want a photo with them. The outdoor part of Runaway Railway could do with more shade too and the queuing system is awful, just feels like you are in an endless queue going round and round. Then after waiting an hour, Fantasmic! show was cancelled due to rain. Florida has inclement weather nearly every day, maybe build a roof for the performers to keep a lot of guests happy. Overall though a great park that we had 3 great days. The Baseline Taphouse had some excellent craft beers too.

This park has many good attractions that you should definitely spare a whole day for it. The Toy Story area, Star Wars world and the Fantasmic show at the end of the day are a must.

What I liked about Hollywood Studios is that it was kind of like Magic Kingdom, but has a newer feel. Magic Kingdom is like the original park, whereas Hollywood Studios is the next generation of Disney parks and rides. The rides at HS are much better…… and it even has Star Wars! Here are some things to consider:
WEATHER: Avoid it during the summer months. The high heat and humidity will suck the life out of you.
LONG LINES: When there is a wait time of 90+ minutes for a 2-3 minute ride, what the point of even going.
COST: Be prepared. Costs are through the roof on everything. FYI, a water bottle is $4.
DISNEY AP: Become very familiar with it. This can be your best friend or your worst nightmare.

This was our fifth visit but our first since all the newer Star Wars galaxies edge was added. Words can’t describe how good this actually is. Same for the extended Toy story area too. Along with some old favourites this is an even better park than ever.

I visited this park on March 27th and I enjoy coming here. I was hoping to ride Rock n Rollercoaster before Disney shuts it down to Refurbish it to the Muppets Coaster, but it was broken for quite a while that day. Rise of the Resistance is an amazing ride and so is Smuggler's Run. Didn't get to ride Tower of Terror because it was crazy packed all day and it was broken throughout the day. If I come back to any Disney park I'm going to have to break down and buy the 3 day park hopper instead of 2 days.

We just experienced our first Hollywood Studios AFTER-HOURS event (so this review is specifically about that), and it was absolutely fantastic.
We are two adults traveling without kids, so keep that in mind.
This was honestly the best money we spent during our entire trip and this event was an EXCELLENT value for the money.
Not only were we able to walk on to every ride (except Slinky - 20 min.), this includes Rise of the Resistance, we spent lots of time wandering around the park eating the delicious popcorn and ice cream and enjoying the characters. The character watching ALONE was worth the money - Mickey and Minnie wandered freely around the park, all the characters seemed to interact and enjoy their interactions much more than usual. No one was rushed. Lines were short or non-existent.
Free popcorn, drinks, and ice cream.
We loved the rides, but to be honest, none of them felt like they would be worth the typical 1-2 hour wait, but they were all WELL worth the short wait times (the technology and artistry of the rides in this park is incredible).
We got to Hollywood Studios by 7pm, went straight to Fantasmic (worth the trip alone), then as everyone else was leaving, our night began!
We will return in the future specifically for the after-hours events at these parks!

We have been looking to a perfect as they call it magic time in DHS. What we have found if pure commercial ripoff, 3 nice rides, a terrible customer experience, a non-sense completely useless Genie+ service. In addition they have just no real premium service in place - they try to keep you in the park as long as possible to sell you even more crap food or merchandise. Queuing with 2-3 hours is normal and even with Genie+ you can hardly get around this. Lightning lanes are restricted for one choice ever. TWO (ridiculous) hours. No planning for a certain time frame over they day possible when you can’t properly plan a park hopping as some attraction will only become available in the late afternoon or even not accesible at all. I must say Universal follows a different concept and yes fats lane means queuing 15-20 mins there but at the end you could make much more out of your day and even use fast lane’s repeatedly. In total paying some 1500 bucks for a family of four for two days is ridiculous service.
If u want to make most buy a late access ticket as queues become smaller and atmosphere is better at night. We have seen the studios already twice - the first and last time in one go. And remember you are such a valued customer, everything is so magic (and mediocre). There are much better alternatives to spent your time with fun and not queuing around the globe - here at Disney the only thing missing is the customer centricity

Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of Disney's parks, which has more radical attractions compared to Magic. There is the Russian mountain of Aerosmith that will not change to another theme among other very good simulators for both children and adults.
The infrastructure is good and has a very interesting decoration.

After an unexpected cancellation of our second night booked at the Halloween Party due to Hurricane Helene we decided as we were getting a refund to book a day at Hollywood Studios as it's in our opinion the most full park for all day entertainment.
This time we were sure to get some shows and rides done we'd not done before along with our favourites and we are so glad we did them all again.
Favorite's:
Tower of Terror - this is and will always be one of our favourite rides at this park, always the one to catch out with the random sequences and such an iconic ride.
10/10
Rock'N'Roller Coaster - again this is iconic and easily one of my favourite rides. The launch is amazing and the ride never disappoints (apart from the length, it's too short and over way too fast), that said it's a must do imo.
10/10
Rise of the Resistance - This is one of the best rides out there. Like Hagrid's bike over at Universal this ride is something else as it has so many amazing elements to it along with an amazingly themed queue and pre ride shows/setup which needs to be experienced.
10/10
The Muppets 3D show - Such a shame his is going, it's great but I understand younger generations won't or most likely don't know the muppets which is a shame, another great show and attraction being lost.
8.5/10
The new:
Frozen Song Along - This is superb, it's funny and great for adults and children with many small dropped in humor points aimed at the adults.
9/10
Slinky dog Dash - This is a great little ride and for anyone not into bigger rides or coasters it's a great one, don't be hesitant due to be height or steepness of the ride you see from the ground, when on there it's nothing and nowhere near as bad as it can look to those fearful from the floor.
8.5/10
Micky & Minnies Runaway Train - This is a great little ride, well themed and lasts a good amount of time. Also this one has some great little moments to it and I'd recommend it for sure.
9/10
Beauty & The Beast - Another threat show and very good to get you out the sun for a while, it in an aircon'd room but you can and will be out the sun and able to watch a great show.
7/10
Cars Racing Academy - Found behind the Tower of Terror this is an indoor show which is well themed and aimed at the kids. It's very entertaining and unfortunately going soon so I've been told so even if it's not for you it's worth a one off imo.
7/10
Galaxy's Edge is something else, superb atmosphere, theming and actors wandering around at times, the Kyle Ren/Storm Trooper show where they are hunting the resistance is really good and they always involve children nearby.
Overall this is an amazing park and we love every visit we have to it which is why it was chosen over the others to replace the cancelled Halloween party.
We didn't eat too much at the park this time but we did have the Pop Tarts from Woody's lunch box (normal Raspberry one and he seasonal Halloween Pumpkin one) and both were great and come highly recommended.
We then ate at the quick service by Tower of Terror and the Nuggets and Cheeseburgers were perfectly acceptable for the price.

Loads for teens to do and decent queue times. A favourite for our family with teens who found this the best of the Disney Parks and the only one comparable to the Universal Parks.

Get there early. The crowds were horrendous as the day went on and the enjoyment level plummeted. We were there at rope drop and headed over to the new Star Wars ride which didn't disappoint. The new Star Wars section of the park is excellent and very well done with all rides interesting and fun. By the time we got to Toystory land the crowds were so high that we didn't stay long, but it was colourful and looked good fun. We enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast live show and also seeing the Walt Disney presents experience. It was the least favourite of the parks for us - mainly due to the number of people.

Hollywood studios is one of Disney’s best theme parks. It’s easy to walk around and has the most exciting rides. The park has a whole section dedicated to Star Wars, that is incredible. My favorite rides in the park are Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. This park is excellent for adults and teens.

Absolutely disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe our experience here. My 10 year old daughter explained it as “reading a dictionary was more fun”. We waited in line for ONE RIDE for 3.5 hours, when the posted wait was 120. We waited until we were in the front of another line, when it was announced as having technical difficulties. That’s fine, we understood. In exchange, they offered a fast pass for one ride with low demand. That was the tipping point. We had been in the park from at least 9 am to 6:30 pm, and able to ride 3 rides. We don’t have high expectations for many things so we don’t get disappointed, but this was excessive. I’ve reached out to customer service twice, and they don’t respond. My kids had 100x more fun at LegoLand, and already want to go back there!

Among the 4 Disney parks, it is the most fun for adults, but not to mention attractions for children that gives the whole family to go. The Star Wars area is sensational, and a must for fans.

We’ve arrived 20 minutes before opening time and despite park advertising opening park before 9 kept us crowded in full sun just to watch resort guests wizzing past us. Then when we were finally allowed in we found all most popular rides waiting times up to 90 minutes and if you joined the line you’ll be watching lightning pass holders wizzing pass you just because they can afford a hefty premium on the top of already excruciating expensive Disney tickets. Also we’ve noticed that some guests had Disney cups they were refilling in various locations but when we asked where we can purchase the cups we were told it’s reserved to resort guests only… I think this was the biggest display of unequal treatment we’ve ever experience celebrating the rich and the ones who had nothing better to do than staying in Disney resorts for 7 nights (a minimum stay at time of writing) adding to the multi billion dollars profit of Disney…

Of the four Disney parks, I think this is the least cool one. That doesn't mean the park is bad. The park is very cool, but it is more focused on presentations. On another occasion, I ⁇ 't go back to this park.

We did multiple visits across a Disney trip to this park. The Star Wars land theming is excellent and we had multiple good meals there. The Toy Story area was another highlight. Overall, the park was always rather crowded so we had to really bounce around to find the right wait times but the park itself had some amazing ride options.

Another Disney disappointment
On top of the ticket price you need to purchase genie pass and lighting lane pass to get on any of the popular rides.
The queues are anything from 1 hour to 3 hours long.
There are also very few places in the shade to sit and relax
Just an awful experience really

Great go and see this park
Don’t need a full day and found animal kingdom better however it was enjoyable and cast members great

Really fun place for all ages and there are some good rides like the rise of the resistance at Star Wars galaxy’s edge and another good ride is Toy Story mania what is a rlly fun ride

I had a good day there. Love the muppets vision 3d show. Liked meeting mickey and Minnie. One thing I will say about that is make sure the photographer in the mickey area takes a picture of you with mickey and not just a picture of him on his own. I enjoyed toystory land but it could do with being more shaded.

Disappointed. I came back to Hollywood Studios today after 25 years. Multipass system does not work well. We were in a group of 11 people. Our group reservations were cancelled for no reason and we were unable to remarket any Attraction that was worth the afternoon. The only attractions available for marking were those that practically had no queues.. result: even having paid an extra amount we had to face the normal queues pq we couldn't schedule. Finally, the last toy we'd break is they got out expelling us with a lot of lack of education. Really disappointing.

So we managed to visit this park on literally the hottest day 🥵 we were literally melting! Luckily a lot of the queues were in shaded or air conditioned areas so that helped. We enjoyed this park. It’s deceiving as you don’t think there is a lot to see but actually there is. There were a few rides down due to technical issues the day we visited but that didn’t stop us from having a great day. We also managed to meet a fair few characters which obviously added to the magic 💖

Fun at the park, staff super nice and kind, weather nice even it’s 91 degree but wind come along. We had a good time and good experience before back to school

You definitely need Genie + the line wait times are crazy. Slinky Dog wound up being over a 2.5 hr wait for standby. That took a lot of the fun out of the day. We went to the park on a Thursday and it was beyond packed. Not sure if the holiday crowds are coming at this point. But be prepared for long waits. The Star Wars rise ride is great, mickey and minnie ride is great. They have a lot of fun rides in this park.

We went in early May to avoid the bigger crowds that come later.
The queues for the rides were not too long and were great fun. However, despite being at the Disney parks for over a week, there were some we didn’t do as they were constantly breaking down or delayed, which was disappointing.
Great fun though.

Attitude of staff at Toy Story disgraceful two grand children have DAS and they were made to stand in tears. I complained and explained that wasn’t the Disney experience we had up until then and the reply was everybody has a different experience!! I won’t say who the supervisor was but her attitude stunk.

Happened to be traveling through Orlando, and checked on taking family of 5 to mgm/hollywood studios. For single day, with taxes for family of 5, was a couple dollars shy of $1000
You guys are smoking cr@ck.

Extremely long queues. Don’t come during July. With an 8 and 10 year old the long lines made it a nightmare.
Waiting time was estimated in 60 min when we entered the lane of a ride and ended waiting 120 min. Awful

No matter when you go. It is overcrowded. Disney has managed themselves to make things even worse. The Fastpass moved to the outrageously expensive Lightning Lane, more limited and less practical than the previous option. They keep on struggling on handling the lines and the park becomes hell. You will be able to complete 2 rides if you are lucky and they don’t go out of service while you wait.
Disney keeps on these stubborn policies when Universal has solved this issue long ago.

Great theme park. Very popular and can be crowded. Rise of the resistance is one of the best rides in Disney World.

This park has once been less than a half day park for me. Very small - not a lot of food offerings and no real stand a lone lands.
Still some of the best attractions in Disney…
Well the did their homework and added 2 amazingly themed lands into this park - as well as a truly unique and great experience : runaway railroad - and I mean do you even love theme parks without knowing rise of the resistance?
Great food and some of the best theming in Disney with 2 awesome rides and a fully immersive experience for young and old.
They really added some magic to this small little Studio park and I really enjoyed what they did.

In 2023, we visited Disney’s Epcot for Christmas to explore the holiday activities, small plates, beverages, and Christmas cookies from around the World Showcase. However, in 2024, we chose a more cinematic holiday immersion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, complete with festive activities and imaginative culinary creations.
At PizzeRizzo, we sampled a “chocolate mousse present”; at the Backlot Express, we tried a “gingerbread cheesecake”; and at the ABC Commissary, we enjoyed a “raspberry mousse cake.” No one does mousse cake quite like Disney, and the logophile wordplay on “mouse” and “mousse” adds extra Disney magic!
Both parks were equally wonderful at Christmastime, though each offered different holiday activities and culinary arts due to its distinct amusement park theme. Hollywood Studios leans more toward film and animation. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, in particular, provided an incredible immersive experience and even had its own themed menu featuring the iconic “blue milk.”

Hollywood Studios isn’t just a theme park. It’s a living production where memories are made in every scene.
As someone who grew up visiting this park, worked here as a Cast Member, and now brings my own family, I’ve experienced this place from every possible angle — and every visit still gives me goosebumps.
From the classics like Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, to newer lands like Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, this park knows how to honor its past while embracing the future. I still miss The Great Movie Ride, the Osborne Lights, and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground from my childhood — but the spirit of those attractions lives on in every corner of this park.
Fantasmic is still the greatest nighttime show on Disney property. Period. The music, the water effects, the fire-breathing dragon — it’s pure Disney magic, and a must-see every time.
We grabbed a giant pretzel and a craft beer at Baseline Tap House, laughed our way through Frozen Sing-Along (my son’s new favorite!), and got “scolded” at 50s Prime Time Café for not finishing our veggies. Dinner at Hollywood & Vine brought back family traditions, and of course, no visit is complete without a stroll down Sunset Blvd under the snoap during the holidays.
As a Cast Member, I know how much effort and heart goes into every show, every interaction, every moment — and as a guest, I feel it. This park is where Disney storytelling comes to life, from thrilling rides to quiet, heartfelt corners like One Man’s Dream.
⸻
Insider Tips:
• Arrive early for rope drop to knock out big attractions before lines grow.
• Don’t skip Baseline Tap House for snacks and drinks.
• If you’re visiting during Jollywood Nights, the holiday vibe is next-level — think jazz, characters in glamorous costumes, and a boozy hot chocolate flight worth the price alone.
• Sit front and center for Fantasmic — and stay for the finale. You’ll thank me later.

This park holds a piece of my heart. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, Hollywood Studios will deliver a story worth telling.
🎬 Lights, camera… memories.

The park was a great experience all around. The rides were working and no break downs while I was there. The food was excellent and no issues.

Spent half a day in this park for Star Wars and Toy Story Mania only. Only able to do 3 rides because we didn’t buy Genie plus and refuse to buy lightening lane pass for $25 !!! On top of a park ticket of $170.
Pizza place in Muppet Area absolutely amazing and use the mobile order for quick service. Cannoli is amazing ! We recommend selling cheesy bread with the dough from the pizza and just add cheese. Would be so good.
I feel like this park is missing an identity. After taking down the fantasia hat, the park doesn’t know who it is.
But the performers - green guys were amazing to watch and the storm troopers came out and antagonized (in a fun way) the kids was also fun to watch.

We last visited the park 8 years ago. A fun filled day with a new section dedicated to Star Wars. The Indian Jones Stunt Spectacular is a must, even if you’re not a fan of Indian Jones.
Staff were polite and helpful.

We went to Hollywood studios as a last minute change from Epcot because I read that girls like Epcot not a boys park. It was the best choice, Star Wars area is awesome the wait time was long but the time goes fast. Indiana jones was really cool. We returned at night and enjoyed the Fantasmic show. Would definitely return to Hollywood studios it has a lot of rides.

There are really good rides in this park and the theming is incredible. Toy Story land and Galaxy's Edge are so perfectly themed! Rise of the resistance was well worth the lightning lane as the queues were absolutely horrendous when we visited, which is why I have rated 4/5. Over an hour for alien swirling saucers, the shortest ride ever! 75 mins for toy story mania, 90 mins for slinky etc, the wait times here really limited the amount we could achieve in a day. It's a shame that Rock n rollercoaster was closed but I'm sure that would have had a very long wait too. The shows were amazing, especially Frozen!! I love this park and would love to return when it's less crowded.

The Magic Kingdom, who are these clowns kidding! The magic’s dead. It should be renamed Rip Off Kingdom as thats exactly what it is!
This was my 4th visit and never again. (2 adults) £24 just to park the car. £142.50 each to get in the park, then add speedy lanes at £19 each which can only be used once per ride! Then add another £20 each just for one ride they charge for separately. Food was expensive and awful, eg a wrap which consists of a flour tortilla approx 6 inches in diameter with an anorexic overcooked sausage, a bit of scrambled egg and sauce $12.95 or £10UK! Add to that a small Coke £5 a hit! Thanks to advice from a mate who had been there a week prior to my visit, I took my own in. I wish he had told me about how awful it actually was too, as I only went because I’m a big Star Wars fan and wanted to see Galaxy’s Edge as last time I visited, this whole area was a building site!
Unlike last time, there were so few characters walking about like previous visits. Queue times on most rides were over an hour as not too many on offer and one of those was closed. Forget rides or attractions, these days it’s all overpriced poor quality food, drinks and souvenir shops! In Galaxy’s Edge area, to build your own droid £119, a Lightsabre £270. I was going to do a 2 park visit and go to Epcot, glad I didn’t pay for that because I found out afterwards, half of Epcot is currently a building site but nothing was said to me at the time I was buying tickets! Nice to see they sell tickets and let you find out once your’e in the park not to mention you DON’T get a refund either!
Had I known how expensive this was going to be, I would have sold a kidney to finance it or better still, to save a mugging here, would have gone to Busch Gardens, Sea World, Universal or the Kennedy Space Centre. While most of these are also not cheap, they at least offer value for the money spent unlike Disney who rip you off because they think they can get away with it! Save yourselves angst and your firstborn because thats the price of a visit to this sorry shower nowadays! Even the US domestic customers I spoke to felt they were getting a raw deal and that should tell you something!
They once sold magic and fantasy to children and adult alike, these days they only sell an expensive miserable experience thats left me with a sour taste in my mouth and a 50 calibre bullet hole in my finances. In essence, they sell the sizzle, not the steak!
Disgusted, absolutley!
Walt Disney RIP as has your vision and legacy!

We went to the afterhours event at Disney Hollywood Studios and proved to be a great decision. It was nowhere near as hot as during the day, the park was lit up beautifully and queues were much shorter so we had multiple rides on everything including the big Star Wars attractions.
Ticket includes soft drinks, popcorn and ice creams and they are super efficient as giving them out.
While and extra hour would have been even better, this was a wonderful way to do the park and I'd recommend it.

Love this park ! Fun day for all ages.
Parking is $25 - feeling like it has been this price since forever ….. 1 purchase is valid for 24 hrs parking at all Disney parks !!
I had read NOT to buy a Gene+ for DHS - so I didn’t and the day worked like clockwork.
I would however probably recommend a touring plan to help maximize the day and avoid lines.
Recommend being their for the general admission rope drop at park opening …… plan to arrive 45 minutes early.
Good to plan for a long day as most of the popular rides can easily be accessed either early morning or late evening.
Do all the shows during the mid-afternoon part of the day.
Plan to ride when some of the big crowd pull shows start ….. as the wait times will drop for the duration of the show.
Food options are excellent and good value!!
Pop corn is the best deal at Disney - buy a bucket for $13 at the start of your vacation and refill everyday for a couple of $ a time.
Galaxy’s Edge is fantastic ….. we had the 2 rides competed and STAR tours within the first couple of hours. (Part luck & part planning)
Walking the park at night is a whole different experience and really worth it !!
Not a lot of places to hide from the sun if you want to keep on the move …… more sun sails in Toy Story land, Disney would be a big help for families with small children !
An amazing day out …. !! I hope you will enjoy as much as we did !!!

Hollywood Studios is a nice park, but especially if you are from Star Wars. Galaxy's Edge is stunning and Rise of the Resistance a top attraction. You really get immersed in that world there.
Furthermore, the park is somewhat disappointing. There is 1 serious roller coaster: Rock 'n Rollercoaster (aka Xpress Platform 13 in the dark...), a good darkride in the form of Mickey and Minnie runaway train and the Tower of Terror. ToyStoryland is fun, but there's usually more than an hour of queueing for any attraction.
Otherwise, this park is a shopping mall... The number of shops is huge and will be disappointing. There are also literally every 30 meters eateries. For the money (ticket is soon $190) it is too expensive.

We have been revisiting for over a decade. It’s one of our family favorites for bonding , for fun and not to think about schoolwork and work place.
We loved the rides, the shows as well as the fine dining restaurants there. Services are great and facilities are very well kept and clean.

It's a place that transports you to California... awesome all there is to see... is a park with iconic attractions from the original park... and lots of fun... lots of things to see... the fantasmic show is amazing...

The park is good, just the guest relations Mrs. Anita is unhelpful, rude and should not be dealing with customers with conditions/special needs.

Wow!!! This park was so much fun! Especially Galaxy's Edge, as a huge Star Wars fan the 3 rides were amazing, especially Rise of the Resistance, the 60 minute wait time was definitely worth it!

If you can get early access, take advantage of this. Just remember everyone will rush to the big rides, like star wars and slinky dog. Toy story Mania, Star Tours can become a walk on ride for a few times.
The park has plenty of eateries and places to cool down. Rise of the Resistance is easier at the end of the day to get on with wait times down to 90 minutes. After I had ridden it, it was down to 40 minutes.
A trick with Smugglers run and many learning this. Go in the single rider lines. I did a walk on five times within an hour. It came up in conversation at Town Hall MK, and they know it happens but will not send you to the main line, but will be split up. If you go in the main line you will see more aspects of this ride pre-show.
Now for what is completely, yes, you know the word. I rode this on the Monday and asked a cast member if I can be a pilot, her response was no and you go where I out you. Sent Disney an email and they agreed this will be looked into. On Thursday a cast member recognised me and asked how many times have I done this, I said five as I want to be a pilot.
Next time asked once again and the female cast member told me single riders are here to basically make up the numbers (groups of 6). Spoke to guest service near the attraction and his response was, the management of that attraction can do what they like. Not the Disney spirit is it?
One day a cast member put five single riders together and brought another single rider from within the building and put us together. A cast member approached and she said what she had done with this single rider. Her response was single riders can not be pilots, to which she replied, they are all single riders to which the cast member left quickly.
The staff and management might be not pleasant, but you can always ask the group if they will switch, and yes they switched and was a pilot.

Went to Hollywood studios with my boyfriend. I have no idea about starwars but found the whole thing fascinating. He even built a lightsaber, and I, as a non star wars fan, really enjoyed watching the whole experience.
The whole starwars area is amazing and so well done.

It's my favorite park (of the Disney parks). The park was not full, so we were able to visit all the main attractions!
My favorite ones are:
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
For young children, has the Toy Story Mania and the Slinky dog dash.

With a family group of 10 (aged from 2 to 72) there was something for everyone at this park. From big rides to shows (LOVED the Indiana Jones show) and light entertainment in 3D there really is something for all ages and tastes. Where ever you go in the park the drinks, ice-cream and food over priced and portions generally quite small; and there is sometimes the lack of a seat to take the weight off. That said, I wouldn't miss this place when visiting the area.

On the plus side, without fail, every Disney employee we encountered was courteous and helpful. The grounds are clean and beautifully landscaped. But it was simply too expensive for the value recieved. If you don't stay at a property ($$$) that allows you early entry, pay for parking ($$$) or if you do not purchase Lightning Passes ($$$) in addition to the regular price of admission, then you are doomed to have a 45 - 100+ minute wait for the best park experiences. This was a once is a lifetime trip for us so we paid dearly. We stayed at the Dolphin, arrived at the park at 7:30 am, pre-paid the Lightning Passes and were able to enjoy Smuggler's Run, Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Indiana Jones all before lunch. After that, the lines were prohibitively long - 100+ for Slinky Dog for example, so we opted to watch Beauty and the Beast at the outdoor theatre that can seat hundred of people. The Rise of Resistance, the one we most wanted to do, was broken down as is common. We felt so sorry for the many many people with children who arrived after us and stood in the heat for over an hour to get into the park and then stand in more hour-long lines just to have a 15 minute long ride.

As a family we loved Hollywood studios. Although we never got to go on Rise of the resistance we still enjoyed the place. My son and daughter wanted to build a light saber which cost $274.99 plus tax each, they chose to have them shipped back to the uk which added another $130.00 for both to the cost. Be careful if you do it this way as they were charged another £97.62 delivery fee once it arrived in the uk. They dont tell you that when you agree to send it home.
The cost of food and drink on all the disney sites is expensive too. An average lunch for 4 was around $80. It was nothing special. My advice fill up at the hotel before going and take a empty drink bottle with you to refill at the water stations around. Be prepared to queue for most of the rides.
We would go again but now we know the pitfalls will be better prepared.

The park is impressive as are the rides; however, I cannot believe we were made to wait in a massive crowd on hot blacktop with no shade from the sun. My husband, grandfather, nearly had a heat stoke and really never recovered. My grandkids were exhausted before we ever got into the park. Long lines that started at the entrance. The rides all had extremely long wait times. We purchased lightening passes for the 5 of us on top of the general admission passes. Unbelievably expensive for two days of DIsney. I’m sure this is not what Walt had I. Mind for his parks.

I would like to point out that, due to lack of time, we only visited this park and not the others that are part of the Disney Park.
We chose it mainly because my partner is a huge Star Wars fan and here there is an entire neighborhood dedicated to this saga, as well as truly amazing attractions and reconstructions of environments.
We also saw the Indiana Jones action show, with fantastic stuntmen, really adrenaline-filled and suitable for all ages.
Inside the park there are also some truly original delicacies, such as the Mickey Mouse-shaped pretzel, truly unmissable!
I recommend visiting during the week, as at the weekend, as in all parks, it is packed.

My first stop and the most amazing attraction in the park was The Hollywood Tower Hotel (horror hotel), the free fall being so real, recommended!

first time at this park wow got in early and went on Star Wars rides not to long queues think longest was a hour ( rise of the ressiance ) worth the wait fantastic then the muppets loads to see and do , the ride lines were no to bad the day we went , all day here looking at everything and going on rides, food not to bad, well worth the wait to go here loads of characters out, mickey and mimie train good fun and kept seeing the muppets my fav, not much merchandise for the muppets.loads of shops.indiana jones a great show.

Hollywood Studios had so much cool stuff it makes the day fly by. The Star Wars area is a must see for any Star Wars fan and the Rise of the Resistance is one of the coolest rides you will ever do. We loved the Slinky Dog ride in Toy Story Land. The Lightning McQueen show was neat and gave you a chance to cool down in the AC. Lastly, any roller coaster fan won't want to miss the Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster. Such a fun ride.

Once in a lifetime, every child or adult should visit Disney's parks. This park is one of the four iconic theme parks that make up Walt Disney World in Orlando. Inspired by the magic of film and television, this park immerses you in a world filled with adventures, breathtaking shows, and attractions for all ages.

I can’t work out why there’s so many negative reviews recently! We visited on 2 separate days and found all staff helpful, got on plenty of rides, and the best food we had was here on both visits. Lots of character meet and greets with great photos taken and not long to wait in line. Yes there are queues and prices are higher but this is to be expected. There are no rules against bringing your own food and drink into the park, so you can do this yourself save money.

Truly awful. What a waste of time and money. You guys used to rule the world when it comes to theme parks but are now miles off the rest of the world.
Not enough rides, not enough good rides, queues for everything were way way to long. Unless you are in a Disney hotel the lightening passes are a waste of time as all the rides you want to use them for are fully booked before you even get a chance to book.
Over $1000 for a family of five and we were done by 12pm. Could have waited until 6pm to maybe get on some rides but given there is nothing to do during that time we just left.

To my liking the best of the 4 parks within the Disney complex (I exclude water parks, as I have not visited them). Despite the inclement atmosphere, I really enjoyed it. If you are a Star Wars fan, Millenium falcon and Raise of the resistance are top and SW tours is different from the Paris ride. I also highlight the Toy Story area and eating at the Rodeo Barbecue (when Andy arrives we all stand still as if we were toys). Keep in mind that if it rains no characters come out and photographers do not take pictures outdoors. 9/10

Hollywood Studios is the smallest Disney park with the fewest rides. For this reason, long waiting times can also result. A Multi Pass therefore makes perfect sense, even if this makes the overall expensive pleasure even more expensive. But you also get offered a lot for it. The entire Star Wars world is already worth seeing and the rides are really fun. For fans, this is a must. We also liked the Indiana Jones stunt show. Final will then be really big again at the evening show. We really liked it.

If you are thinking of visiting any of the Disney Parks but especially Hollywood Studios then you must know that these negative reviews are spot on!
The Disney Magic is gone! Everything is a money grab now!
We refused to purchase the lightning passes after spending $650 for two parks for two days.
Therefore we rode NOTHING!
Hollywood Studios and Epcot had to both be way over capacity on both days we visited…. It was insane!
But the thing that bugged us the most were the hover round crowd and dodging the oversized kids strollers!
The hover round crowd acts like you should part the seas for them and the oversized strollers are a nuisance!
They are filled with screaming kids and have 50 bags of Disney crap hanging off of them that their parents think they need to buy to make their day memorable.
The walking area at both parks is not wide enough to accommodate these wheeled menaces…we will never go back!

I have no idea why people enjoy Disney Parks these days. When I was a kid, these places were fun. There was lots to do and it felt like you couldn’t get it all done in a day. Now, these parks are just filled with people wandering around from line to line while get ripped off all day.
Hollywood Studios is a park for suckers. Don’t get sucked into Disney’s marketing nonsense, this is a terrible park, and the employees know it. I witnessed many families struggling to salvage their day and spoke to many in lines who felt completely ripped off.
Genie+ is a rip off, not worth the money at all. After buying it, and realizing how useless it is, I complained to a Guest Experience person and they said “all you should expect from Genie+ is 2-3 lightning lanes all day”. They tell you this AFTER they’ve taken your money.
Rise of the Resistance was broken most of the time, Slinky Dog never opened until later in the afternoon, Tower of Terror broke down multiple times during the day, and Alien Saucers was only half working. We got caught waiting in several lines only to find out the ride had broken down. What a joke.
Paid approx $1000 for a family of 5 including the Genie+ and one of the worst lunches I’ve ever had. Rode 6 rides during the day after wasting 7 hours at this complete joke of a theme park.
Universal’s parks offer way more value for your money, go there instead.

We really enjoyed being back at the studios! We have been several times and still found new adventures and opportunities for fun. This time, we went on Mickey’s Runaway Railroad. While we miss The Great Movie Ride, this was a reslly different adventure, and it’s fun for the whole family. In addition, we got to eat at The Brown Derby, which we’ve never eaten that before. The food was outstanding and worth the experience. In future, I would try to get a table outside in the lounge area. The dining room is very noisy.
One of my favorite rides, I know it’s silly, is Toy Story Mania. I love the arcade like nature, and I have not been there since that land was more fully built out. We were unable to get on Slinky Dog Dash as it’s the most popular ride in the park at this point in time so you might want to book a lightning lane for that one.
We caught two shows – Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen. I liked Beauty and the Beast because it was a capsule performance of the longer show. Complete with costumes dancing music it was wonderful. frozen had a different cake and did not follow the plot of the movie. However, it’s worth it to stay to the end, because the finale is a site to see.
We also explored the Star Wars area and we were online for Rise of the Resistance when the ride experienced technical difficulties.. We looked for a cast member afterwards and she was able to provide us with a lightning lane to ride on our next trip. In addition, we went on Smugglers Run. This ride can be very intense and I got motion sick on it but my husband absolutely loved it. So be aware of this as a possibility and plan accordingly.
We finished the night at Fantasmic and we were not disappointed. We have not seen the show in sometime and it never disappoints. If you have the option to see Fantasmic,, it’s worth the investment of time. Frequently during the year, there are two shows so check the daily schedule for options.

This is such an enhanced park with the Star Wars land (SWL) that it's becoming as big an attraction as any !
You must try out the cable car if only to go to Epcot and back.
Consider the moments photo pack - photographers are everywhere in all parks. We easily got 50+ photos per day ! AND they include magic photos - all very clever.
Toystoryland en route to SWL is the way to go.
Plenty of good quality food / drink to be had.
A must .....

This is FAAAAR from what it has been !
In this pricerange and «rides» not working is just not good enough. To start with fee for parking….. CRAZY. To little made shades from heat. And when workers push small , sleeping, children in strollers out in the HOT sun from A little shade they’ve found…. Just to make A Line for fastpass holders…. 🤬🤬. We will NEVER go back to this park Ever !
Rude workers. CRAZY Expencive !!

We visited for 1 day (mainly visited Universal) and hugely enjoyed the Rise of the Resistance ride - it is very immersive and so clever to make the final part of the queuing actually part of the ride. It is one of the best rides we went on across the 2 weeks.
I did enjoy Smugglers' Run but I was slightly underwhelmed by the role of 'Gunner'. I had thought we would have a joystick or something to aim with but it was restricted to just pressing a button.
I would have liked Disney, given the baking heat of August, to have provided free chilled water like Universal. Instead the free water dispensers tended to provide lukewarm water only.
We could only get on Toy Story and visit Indiana Jones stunt show due to the large queues.

Our last trip to Disney was over 5 years ago with a group of 9. I scheduled our group’s free “Fast Passes” according to interest and location, so we could skip lines beautifully with advance planning. We were able to plot out what rides we would hit in what sections of the parks in advance and had a great trip.
Now it’s 2023 and I am setting alarms to wake up at midnight every night to buy Genie+ (in case they run out) and 6:55am (so that I can schedule our “Lightning Lanes” before those time slots run out). I’m paying an addition $149 per day for Genie+, on top of the regular exorbitant ticket price for our family of 4, and suffering sleep deprivation, just to get on rides. But what is really brutal, is that we are not getting on the rides. Despite paying for Genie+ and being willing to buy Individual Lightning Lanes in addition, we had no chance of getting on Rise of Resistance (which we could not even pay extra to get on, and which shut down 3+ times during our day in the park). We are dragging our kids back and forth across the parks in 90 degree heat inefficiently, because there is no ability to plan in advance. Instead of staring at my kids the whole day, I have to keep staring at Disney’s app and the “Tip Board” (full of tips and information that you never wanted), trying to plot out our next move. We are paying $80 for my 10 year old son to have dinner, even if he eats off the kids menu, because 10 year olds are priced as “adults” at Disney. We are buying $75 toys worth $30 in the park, and $6 beverages worth $1.50, because what else are we going to do with all of the dead time while we wait for our next chance to actually get on a ride.
I’m left feeling like Walt Disney would roll over in his grave if he knew what the place had become today. Disney is dishonest, tricking you into overpaying, when you don’t get anything for that overpayment. Disney is unfair, not giving all groups of ticket-holders the chance to go on all rides. Disney is overcrowded, maximizing profits over the experience. Disney is greedy, using its customers, not serving them. Disney used to feel like a childhood friend, but Disney corporate has ruined the magic.

Great park, the world of Toy Story very good, star wars very well set lacks more attractions (many people). The classic "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror", the "La Rock 'n' Roller Coaster" was old would lack an update. But the park in general is fine, I don't know if I would repeat it.

Pre booked two days of tickets in UK, at £1355 for four people for MK and HS with park hopper via Orlando Attractions. On the day prices for an adult were $217 pp as far as I could see.
Booked Genie +, another $100 no chance of getting on rides really otherwise unless you want to queue for hours in the heat which is HOT.
We booked at 07:20 and the first slot for Slinky ride was 17:45!!!!
We managed to book Rise of the Resistance. Another $22 per person.
Kids and husband got stuck for half an hour on Tower of Terror. This is still my daughter’s favourite ride though!!!
They did the Aerosmith ride, all
The Star Wars rides. They enjoyed them all.
The Star Wars whole area is amazing. We ate at the Back lot Express. $70 for four meals. Preorder and check in when you get there, works very well and quicker than ordering when you’re there. Do this on the App which I thought worked well once I understood the whole Genie / LL.
We loved the Frozen show, the two comedians are fabulous. And it’s great to get out of the heat. Kids enjoyed Indiana Jones Stunt show.
Lots to see and do, better for older kids than MK. Still a very expensive day out. A good experience for everyone but it’s a lot of money for one day! Would have loved to stay for the final show but standing around all day in that heat is just too much with those crowds. It is rammed!!!
We did feel there was more seating and shade than at MK. This was good. Especially when we had summer rain for two hours. Take your ponchos!!!

We went with great excitement to visit the park and especially the StarWars area, we were only able to enter two of them because one was out of service and the answer was that they had no idea if it would work again that day, the unbearable heat in the lines . We wanted to go again but we discovered that the 4 tickets purchased only allowed you to visit the 4 different parks and not repeat

The park was amazing! The cast members were amazing in getting our family a wonderful trip. The rides were all great and the park was very clean. The star wars land was breathtaking, although I wished it had more kinetic energy.

I really enjoyed it too. My family are awesome places. It's a memorable adventure. They really are one of the places you'll always have in your memories.

The park is great with a lot of great attractions.
Though the park does seem to have a number of dead ends when building works are going on or just in general so some better signage is kind of needed in certain areas.
Certain food areas need some more seating and can be quite manic at specific times.

We visited the studios on our family holiday. We had a great day there lots of thing to walk around. They have some great rides and shows there to. There are lots of restaurants and food venders there to chose from. We will defiantly go back.

While the rides are great, unless you have lots of $$$ to spend on "lighting passes" expect to wait in long lines.
Our main goal in this park was to watch "Muppets 3D" one last time before they closed it down.

This park is outdated, we stayed 6 days a Universal Studios parks/resort and decided to go at hollywood studios for one day what a disappointement! Besides Star Wars Galaxy Edge not much to enjoy, Rock'n roll coaster and Tower of terror are the only two thrill rides so wait time is rediculous! Universal Studios puts Disney parks to shame in all aspects! food quality, hotels, rides ect... Every single ride (over 30) are top notch! Harry Potter section WOW! Lots of quality food choice to accommodate any budget, I highly reccomend Red oven pizza, real authentic Italian style wood oven pizza $16 (good for two) and the Fish and chips at Harry Potter's the Leaky Cauldron simply delicious!

We attended Jollywood Nights. The extra shows and treats that are not available during the park day were fun additions, especially the Nightmare Before Christmas singalong and Tree Stack cookies.

My husband and I took advantage of resident rate 4 park passes and visited Magic Kingdon, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Epcot was my favorite - it was so beautiful - but that may have been enhanced by the annual flower and garden show. Hollywood Studios is visually very appealing and I loved the retro 50's type music that is piped in and that you hear all throughout the park. We waited in line for almost 2 hours (the que said 65 minute wait) and it was our the first ride of the day. It was totally not worth it. It should be called the Tower of Terrible. The drops are sudden and severe - very jolting and slamming. Definitely not for anyone who has had or has back issues. I left nauseated due to the motion and the pain. We sat on a bench for some time to recover. On a positive note - there are many, many benches throughout the park. We went to Toy Story Mania and it was the highlight of the day - fun and interative - and we did not mind the wait as we were entertained by the massive decor of fond games - Monopoly, Candy Land, Uno, etc and the Lincoln Logs, Erector set, Barrel of Monkeys... and the huge talking Mr. Potato Head... fun! We waited for 30 minutes (seated) for the Indiana Jones stunt show - then were told there was a computer issue that would not make it safe for their performers to do an entire show so it would be a partial show. Two minutes total and done. It was a 3 pm show - they encouraged everyone to come back for the 430... not happening. We had lunch at the Sci Fi Dinein Theater. Don't do it. Online the car seating looks comfortable and inviting - but in person it is so cramped that our chests were pressed against the narrow table area - and it cost over $70 for the 2 of us to have a burger and a sandwich with soft drinks. The food was ok and the service was excellent - but for $70 plus we could have had steak with the works and drinks at Outback Steakhouse.

Loved the Toy Story 4D shooting game ! You could do this park in half a day if you went at opening.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has had to reinvent itself more than any other Disney Park. The current version includes Star Wars Galaxy's Edge which is quite remarkable. The theming and attention to detail is amazing. It looks and sounds like you are on another planet. The Rise of the Resistance is a total immersive experience. So many other great rides in the park including Tower of Terror, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Train, Toy Sory Mania and Rock and Roller Coaster. Unlike the Magic Kingdom and Epcot and that take a whole day or more to experience, you can probably get away with a half day at Hollywood Studios before park hopping elsewhere although it is still best to set aside a whole day if you want to experience everything. Arrive 30-40 min before rope drop and make use of Genie + and Lightening Lanes.

To my mind, Disney's Hollywood Studios is the best of the four Disney parks. In comparison, it has a higher proportion of prominent attractions than the other parks. There were only a few attractions we didn't get on or didn't like, but overall, the experience was excellent.
Remember that, as in all Disney parks, you can enter food and beverages as long as they are not in glass containers or require refrigeration or special conditions.
In this park, I absolutely recommend buying both the Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance and the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, as they are worth the number of things to do. This will allow you to optimize your time and enjoy everything in one day.
The Galaxy’s Edge area is spectacular, an immersive experience for Star Wars fans. On the other hand, the Toy Story Land area is incredibly fun, perfect for all ages.
As for the shows, the presentations of Sleeping Beauty and Frozen are impeccable, with a staging that impresses. And the closing with the Fantasmic show is absolutely spectacular, a perfect end to the day.
In short, this is my favorite Disney park.

We enjoyed our visit to this park. It was not too crowded and queues for rides were generally not too long. The Star Wars section was exceptional and definitely the best section on the park. The rides in the park were good and waiting in line was good as it was indoors with air conditioning. So much better than Animal Kingdom. Good places to eat and plenty of areas to sit down. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant again far superior to animal kingdom. There were water fountains available so great to get our water bottles filled. A good place to visit and would recommend.

I wish there was an option for minus stars. Disney are clearly ALL about the money and not guest experience. We entered the Millennium falcon smugglers run queue when it said it was a 40 minute queue. 2 and a half hours later, whilst towards the end of the queue when we asked what the delay was we were told that they were letting in people at a ratio of 40 Lightening pass to 4 regular customers. When we expressed our disgust at this we were told that if we'd paid extra we would have been in the quicker queue! It's $150 dollars for a ticket, never mind the flight over!!!!!! So basically what they are saying is $150 is a poor person's ticket and if you have money to buy the lightening pass for another $140 dollars then you'll be treated better. Surely that's a form of discrimination against families who are scraping together money for what they believe to be the trip of a lifetime only to realise that you have to pay even more on top if you want any chance to get on any of the rides in a decent time. We managed to get on four rides in a day for $150 dollars each.....$37.5 a ride!!!!.....what a rip off.

The rides were okay. However, there’s not a lot of food offerings. Burgers, French fries the normal crap you can buy outside the park. The refreshment stands sell popcorn and pretzels, overpriced drinks and alcohol. Who the heck pays 12 dollars for like a 12oz beer.
Done it once, didn’t make me a disney fan for life though! To each their own on doing what they enjoy doing. Just not for me.

Personally - this was my FAVORITE Disney park.
It was awesome fun and we went back 3 times in our 16 night stay.
The detail in Galaxy's Edge is outstanding in every detail, especially cast members not breaking charachter.

This was my first visit back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios since 2014, and overall, it was a fantastic day! I lucked out with wait times—while the average hovered around 45 minutes, several attractions (especially in the Star Wars area) had wait times of 15 minutes or less. I even rode one of them twice—practically unheard of!
Coming back after so many years, I had mixed feelings seeing the Great Movie Ride replaced. It was a classic I truly loved. That said, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was an absolute visual extravaganza—whimsical, beautifully executed, and full of heart. It gave me hope that the park is evolving in a magical direction.
Right in front of the attraction, I had a sweet surprise: in the cement, among the handprints and signatures of celebrities, I spotted one of my all-time favorites—Paul Reubens. A small but unforgettable moment.
I had dinner reservations at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, which is one of my all-time favorite places in the park. I’ve come here during different stages of my life and during this visit we celebrated a birthday, shared laughs, and made magical family memories. Dining there again brought back special moments, and the ambiance is still as fun and nostalgic as ever.
As a bonus, I was also able to catch one of the final performances of MuppetVision 3D*, which ends on June 7. It was touching to be there for a farewell show of a beloved classic. And to top it all off, Fantasmic! was absolutely breathtaking—a true highlight and still one of the best nighttime spectaculars Disney has to offer.
Hollywood Studios continues to offer a beautiful blend of past memories and new adventures. While I’ll always cherish the classics, it’s exciting to see how the magic continues to grow. Already looking forward to my next visit!

I had a fun taking pictures and riding rides. So until when I come back again. I'm going to take a line from elasa Let it Go and see you

Despite being told that I could obtain the Disability Access Service (DAS) directly at the park, I was denied access to it because I did not have a visible disability. This was an issue for me because I do have limitations that are not immediately apparent.
On one of the attractions, I was treated badly by the staff. They made me wait for 30 minutes despite it being supposedly my turn to ride the Star Tour attraction. When I asked about it, the staff looked at me up and down as if I didn't have any limitations and then proceeded to give access to a couple who arrived 20 minutes later. This made me feel discriminated against and left out because of a lack of awareness and understanding of people with disabilities.
Furthermore, when I was notified of my physical and mental diagnosis, the staff told me that there was no reason to be anxious if there were a lot of people in the park. This shows that the staff is not trained to understand the complexities of anxiety and other disabilities.
.

So much more to see and do now that Galaxy's Edge has been built. Some big queues for rides so worth using Genie Plus for those although it does require you to be up and ready to book at 7am! Some good places to eat. My least favourite of the parks but still good fun to visit.

One of the best parks in the Disney complex. The attraction of Star Wars is indescribable. We waited several hours in line, because the attraction breaks a lot, but it was worth every minute of waiting. The park has many other cool attractions, but the Star Wars area is unbeatable.

It was our first time at Hollywood Studios. Everything was new to us, and this smaller theme park certainly packs a big punch when it comes to entertainment. With that said, it was our least favorite theme park in Disney World due to its size & multi pass pricing. The pricing is similar to a day in the Magic Kingdom, which is kind of odd. There's just more to do at other theme parks in Disney World.
So, there were many things that we enjoyed. The meticulous theming of the park is incredible. It's so Hollywood, with the tall palm tree lined boulevard. The building replica of Grauman's (now called TCL) Chinese Theatre is the focal point as you're on your way to Toy Story Land or Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. There was already a very long early entry line formed at Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. The park is very straightforward & easy to navigate. The park didn't feel as crowded in the morning on a weekday. That was great!
Our strategy was to rope drop Slinky Dog Dash, and then head over to Rise of the Resistance. Usually the latter isn't up & running early in the morning. It was a gamble. We ended up going to Toy Story Mania first since the Slinky ride wasn't quite warmed up yet (another chilly Florida morning). After that, we waited in a long line for the rollercoaster ride to start. Once it started, the line moved quickly. Unfortunately, it was already after the official park opening. At that point, Rise of the Resistance was not going to be part of our day. There was an experimental standby lane, and the estimate wait time was high. No worries, because we ended up walking through Galaxy's Edge (unrushed) and taking our chances on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. It all worked out.
We had lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. It was good. Nothing amazing, but a great one-time experience watching B-movie trailers. There are other food options that we'll need to experience at another time. It's on Commissary Lane which is a nice stroll to take. It even had a giant ABC banner of LIVE with Kelly and Mark.
Honestly though, I think the highlight of Hollywood Studios was our finale ride. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was the best ride of the day. I could do that over & over. It's not really a drop, but it feels like one. It's very controlled in how that service elevator speeds you up and down that elevator shaft. Amazing!! The theme is just incredible! You feel like you're in a Twilight Zone episode. Twilight Zone fans will absolutely love it!
We definitely need to go back at least one more time. It's still new to us. There are rides like Rise of the Resistance and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue that will be worth the second trip. We may even try the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and take in a few show experiences while we're there.

First the positives. The new Star Wars section at the park is incredibly well done. For me, worth visiting for that alone. The new Smugglers Run ride there is absolutely astonishing and a huge treat for Star Wars fans. All the magic you'd come to expect from Disney remains at the place.
However, there are some negatives. Despite a ridiculously expensive ticket price, in order to get shorter queues on the most popular rides, you need to spend a further $22 per person for the Genie + service. This is optional, but without it, you'll be queuing for over an hour, sometimes two, for some of the most popular rides.
But even then, you can't use Genie + on Rise of the Rebellion. To get a shorter queue, you must pay another $22 for just one ride. That's per person. An absolute rip off.
Food is very good but the prices are exorbitant. It seems part of the Disney magic is making people not realise that their slice of pizza is costing them the same as buying a small villa off the coast of Naples.
Souvenirs? Expect to pay around 10x the price for some things you can get for a fraction of the cost away from the parks.
Unfortunately for Walt - his vision of a park for families is being eaten away by corporate greed - Creating a two or three-tier system where the have's can waltz onto rides with shorter queues, and the proles queue for 90 minutes in the boiling heat.
It's such a shame as just 15 or 20 years ago, it was not like this. Add to that frequent ride break downs, attractions not being available, some looking their age and the fact that a standard Disney ticket is not far off £1,000 now (without all the add-ons) and as good and brilliant and innovative as it is - it just isn't worth the money.

The early drop lineup was insane. We ran directly to slinky dog dash. Everyone loved it. The ride was mild with a little zing. Starwars area is great except smugglers run. That ride made me nauseous. We loved the area and there were lots of cool fun shops and interactive staff. We all like the tower of terror. I am terrified of heights and that was a once only ride for me but it was enjoyable. This park was not as busy as the Disney parks.

we had a blast at Hollywood Studios. We were staying at Disney so we had early entry. There are quite a few rides and attractions here. We are a family of 4 - our kids are 12 and 5. We got Genie + and we also go the rise of the resistance individual lightning lane. Is it a bit expensive...yes...but is it a once in a 5 year thing. Absolutely.
we thought DHS has really improved. Loved Galaxy's edge - Millennium falcon, Toy Story Land and all the shows and sing along. And Fantasmic is always awesome. we spent a good 12 hours and enjoyed every bit of it.

This is never happening again this place is robbery the people who come to this jump through lines to meet other family members or friends and the staff are careless to push passengers on they hold up the line wanting to ride with select people. This is not worth the money.$ 1138 just to stand and smell everyone's body odar for hours on end. It is a cesspool and not a hygienic safe zone. Stay away from this place

You should go there there is a ride that goes so fast and Its so good 10/10 Expreinexe You should really go there best experience ever

We're a family of 4, with 2 teens. We arrived promptly at opening time on a beautiful October day. We paid an exorbitant and ridiculous extra $50 for preferred parking, but that does not get you preferred or early entry to the park. At 9am there was already a long line of people waiting to get in to the park. It took us close to 45 minutes just to enter. (My advice to other visitors: either plan to arrive at least half an hour before opening time or an hour after opening. My advice to DS: include a preferred &/or early entrance in the cost of preferred parking. Also preferred parking did not appear to be full, I'm assuming because of the high additional cost, so they should lower it to a much more reasonable $30 if they want to fill it up. Additionally they should put trash cans in the parking lot and entrance area. When we left that night, there was trash everywhere which I have to assume would have been placed in trash cans had they been available. Finally there should be a restroom at the entrance before entering the park. If you go on a more busy day and don't pay for preferred parking I could realistically see it taking 2 hours to get into the park. For little kids and even many adults, that's a long time to "hold it" especially if you've already driven a few hours to get there! I'd be willing to bet there have been many unpleasant accidents that don't make for the best guest experience.
Now onto the park itself. As typical of all Disney parks, it's spotlessly clean and very nicely landscaped. I loved the art deco style of all the buildings. (Does Hollywood CA actually resemble this???) Disney does an excellent job with props, sets and decor, the thought they put into the tiniest details is apparent and appreciated. I also love how they try to make the long lines entertaining with lots of things to look at besides your phone. On the flip side, the lines are just way too damn long. We waited appr 1 hour for every single ride we went on. We saw some lines with wait times up to 2 hours. For the price we paid, that is simply unacceptable. Disney must figure out a way to do better for it's guests. Most of us cannot afford lightning lane passes. Even though we arrived at opening and stayed until closing, and only spent appr 90 mins sitting down for meals the entire 12 hour day, we were not able to go on every ride. I think we missed 3. Again for these exorbitant prices, visitors should be able to go on every ride they want to go on. I'm not sure what the solution is, but surely the great minds at Disney can come up with something better than the current system. (Reserve the rides you plan to go on ahead of time and get a designated timeframe?) I think the biggest problem causing the long waits is that there are simply not enough rides in this park, so guests are concentrated at the few there are. I believe Disney should add at least 2 kiddie rides and 2 more thrill rides to lessen the ridiculously long lines at the others. And in the meantime, Disney should add benches or seating to the queues where possible, for the comfort of children and older guests who may have trouble standing for such long periods of time.
I have additional thoughts and feedback to share, but this review is getting too long, so I'm going to end here. Although we had a nice day and enjoyed ourselves, we spent close to $1k for 4 people without even buying a single souvenir! That was a lot for us and we most likely will never return.

For our family it was the best park, as we were 3 adults, 1 teenager and 1 small. For everyone there were very good attractions that we enjoyed very much. From Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, through Toy Story Land for the little one and everyone.
The spectacular closure with Fantasmic that is presented in the largest amphitheater in the park. Water, fire, actors, explosions and lots of action in a wonderful show!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visits into Hollywood studios. New area of Star Wars since our last visit is great. Superb rides! They do get very busy though. However if you are happy to visit during Fantasmic the queues definitely lessen, so that’s our experience and tip! Not so keen on the restaurants here, so dined elsewhere. Ok for quick service. New Toy Story area gets very busy indeed! Never got onto slinky dog. Queues just crazy unless you use a lightening pass. Fastasmic show is great. You don’t need to link to the meal offer. There are great viewing spots through the venue. Great park to visit. Boat outside takes you down to boardwalk which is great to see and visit. New skylines also built since our last visit which is good.

We returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios, 8 years after our last visit and found great new attractions like Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land and Mickie & Minnie's Railroad; and certainly continue great classics like Fantasmic! and The Hollywood Tower, unfortunately the Rock N' Roller Coaster had already started its renovation and we could no longer experience it, but overall it was a wonderful day in this extraordinary park.

Was super hot and crowded but on my bucket list to take my 5 year old and husband to Disney parks for the first time. We loved Hollywood studios. We were able to do everything we wanted and even see some characters.

It has been ten years since the last time I visited Disney Hollywood Studios, and well it's not as good as I remember. I arrived early to get some of the more popular rides early before the crowds came. As the day went on the park wasn't as crowded as I thought it would get, there were long lines but not hour long lines. We were ale to go on most of the rides, we wanted to ride. Slinky Dog coaster was short but fun, the Star Wars rides was a great experience and a must do, when visiting. We stayed the whole day, so we can watch the final show at night time, which is pretty cool to see.
I think for me the park's loses points due to the changes it's gone through, it kind of lost it's charm. They are replacing a lot of awesome, classic attractions like the Muppets 4D Show, and the Indiana Stunt Show, these attractions are timeless. A lot of the new stuff seems to be cheap filler, such as a lot of characters meet spots, and for the admission fee Disney charges it doesn't feel like you get a lot in return. Disney has always been expensive but the prices now are insane, I mean it's hard for a middle class family to justify visiting. The also suffers from an identity crisis, it's theme was suppose to be about the movies but theming seems to be non coherent. Also Rizzo's Restaurant is closing, it's one the better sit down restaurant in Disney, staff there are really good, sad to see it go away.
Overall, Disney Hollywood Studios is a fun way to spend an entire day but at the price it's hard to recommend, especially now that most of the park is under construction, you get a full experience, which has also suffer in recent years. Or maybe I am just an old Disney fan that prefer the nostalgia that has been lost.

We had a seasoned Disney expert in our group who is also a Star Wars fan. We purposely picked what we hoped was a less crowded time (it was), we stayed at a Disney property so we got in a half hour early and we bought LL passes. So at this park our expert was able to ride all 4 of the major rides within 2 hours. We spent the rest of the time getting into other places on our second priority list. It was a great time. Plan, plan, plan! We just had a snack there as we leave parks around 3 and usually go to dinner at Disney Springs.

Terrible experience. Rude staff. Rides closed, lightning pass worth absolutely nothing.
Shameful 1st and last experience.

Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October.
This park is spectacular with so much to do and see. The detail at Galaxy's Edge is another level and feels like you're on a film set. Smugglers Run is like a boyhood dream come true - exceptional ride. Toy Story Land is impressive and everything else too, see my reviews on the rides, shows and restaurants. The Sci Fi restaurant was so good, go if you can. Finally, Fantasmic just sums up what a special experience you'll have here. Great homage to Disney.
We stayed at the Art of Animation resort meaning our rope drop and Genie Plus meant our average wait times were 20 minutes or less which was brilliant. Longest wait was Rock n Rollercoaster at 35 minutes but worth it.
Enjoy!

It took me 36 years to make it to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I hit all the classic rides but my favorite was the Tower Of Terror. The queue leading up to the ride was fun and immersive. Despite knowing the drop was coming, it still felt unexpected and horrifying. Worth the wait in line for sure. Now that it was acquired by Disney, the Star Wars area, Galaxy’s Edge, adds quite a bit to the park. Overall Hollywood Studios was fun and worth a visit at least once in your life.

Really really disappointing, expected much more from a Disney park. Spent 4 days at universal studios and had planned on spending 4 days at Disney. After 1 day at Hollywood studios, we won’t be bothering with the other Disney parks. Far too overcrowded and they really need to address the lightning lines. Waited over 2 hours for a ride whilst people just walked on it in the lighting lane. At universal, the express lane you wait 50% of the queue time. At Disney it seems you just walk straight on whilst 1000’s of people wait. Also you’ll have one person stood in a queue then all of a sudden, another 8 people will turn up and cut the line. The Disney magic has disappeared from the last time I visited. Positive, we managed to get on rise of the resistance before it spent the majority of the day closed.

We got up early for early entry since we are resort guests and both days upon entering many rides already had a delayed opening.. The rides were Rise of the resistance, slinky dog dash, Mickeys Runaway Railway, and Rockin Rollercoaster. Mickeys railway did open 30 min later. Unfortunately we were never able to ride Rise or Slinky dog using early entry. Rise opened up, we got in line, then it shut down. Waited an hour and left line. The ride didn’t open back up until afternoon. By then we had already left and went to another park. Ugh! I just wish Disney would do a better job with the upkeep of the rides at this park. I understand rides have malfunctions and it’s not the cast members fault. Disney please fix this issue!

I did the after-hours in June when I was there. It was beyond disappointing.
First it rained, now they cannot control the rain, but they can control how they respond to it. Most of the time there was waiting with most everyone else in whatever cover we could find.
In gaps, tried to go out and see characters, get some of the snacks and so on. I was able to score some popcorn, ice cream and a soda. Then sat down during the rain and ate them. When I went back out, they were out of diet soda and sprite, no ice cream or popcorn. I did find it at a different location, but was sad they did not have any ice cream. Kudos to the staff for standing out there in the rain.
Due to the weather, several of the rides that were supposed to be open were not, so did what rides I was able to do. Be aware it is more challenging if you do the light saber experience and in retrospect I should have done it right before leaving the park as it was a bit cumbersome to carry it around and get on rides.
Also was hoping to see some characters, but maybe they stayed in due to the rain? Maybe invest in some pop-ups as that is always a highlight. In the end saw Donald and Minnie. Was able to get one selfie, but they were not on station doing pictures, but walking around. So it was lucky I saw them at all. Did not see any other characters.
$150, plus the $250 for lightsaber made for a very expensive night that is not worth repeating. Was able to hit a few rides while dodging the rain. They also ran out of ponchos, so if you were unlucky enough not to bring one, you were screwed. At least I was able to walk out with a bottle of soda and some popcorn. Pretty expensive night and not one I can recommend.
They need to plan for inclement weather, pop-ups for character meet and greet, for goodness sake there were not many people and you run out of ice cream?
Disney has become too much of a money grab, so sadly will say goodbye. Was hoping to do the magic kingdom after hours later this year too when I am back. Will have to find another activity.

What a great place this is. 8 years since our last visit. Galaxys edge was fab, huge star wars fan and was in my element. Loads to do and see. We tried some of the different food available which was great. The rides are first class and managed to do most even though the park was busy. Toy story land was great with the Slinky dog ride being the best. Rise of the resistance, smugglers run, and a not miss. Great place that I will never forget.
There is also some shows, Frozen singalong and Beauty and the beast which were packed and fabulous. Indiana Jones was shorter than usual due to some issues after hurricane milton. It did not spoil any of our day.

We where looking forward to this park and visited on a Tuesday during the easter holidays. We purchased Genie +, but for £120 for 4, it was poor value. We stayed off site so our pick for our first lightning lane only opened at 7am , we picked a star wars ride and that was allocated for 12-45-13-45. We could only make our next choice at 10-30, at that point if you wanted a ride such as slinky dog it was only available at 9pm !!!!! Hollywood studios was absolutely packed, and a standby line at star wars was 2-3 hours long! I get the pandemic needed to be made up for as after all Disney is a business, but to take advantage of customers as they do is nothing short of daylight robbery. A mickey ice cream on a stick £6, bottle of water £5, the exchange doesn’t help the UK visitor , but there is no need to rip off customers. We used to visit Orlando every year in the 90s, but now once in 20 years is about right . Car parking £20 a day to visit the park too, we won’t be visiting again for a long time , I suppose Disney won’t change its policies based on my review, just think twice before you visit , as 4 adults ( a child of 15 is an adult in Disneys eyes)for a 5 day pass is £2000, and that’s before you even arrive .

This is the best park. There is so much to do. Love the star wars stuff and the toy story land as well. It's so fun! We tried the round up rodeo too. It was awesome!

This was my first visit and I made it with my family to my daughter and my Wife did not love the place we do not give the top rating because the staff was very poor. The activities were great well designed, but every time you asked someone who worked there something was very rude and despot, and that which I did not speak in Spanish, I was always speaking to them in English, which I speak very well to try not to have a barrier of communication, however, people behaved very badly, for that reason I do not give the top grade from there on out I had a great time

Fitted in 2 trips to the Studios this time.
First of all neither do heights so NO roller coasters for us! However I am a Star Wars fan and Kim not so much but still came along and enjoyed the simulators as much as me!
There is probably nothing new to say about this park that has not been written elsewhere.
We managed to be in Orlando during an unusually hot period (average 85f) so very hot for walking around. Dinosaur Gerties Ice Cream of Extinction was a welcome site. Gertie does not get enough mentions. The ice cream certainly cooled us off.
Star Wars land was fantastic. Got loads of pictures of Storm Troopers interacting with the crowd.
Caught the gondola to the Caribbean Hotel for drinks where we met Daisy Duck and Dale (again).
All I can really add is take plenty of liquid with you and a decent hat!
Met our heroes,,,,Chip 'n' Dale as well,,,,bonus!

Terrible guest services,if you have a disability it doesn’t mean much here anymore. The system at universal so much better.Half the staff are not even interested if you have a condition, all about the money.

The park is great
We're really entering the world of cinema
Mickey runaway attraction is great but what about land star wars that is breathtaking
The rise of resistance attraction is absolutely awesome
A modern park with very good attractions
On the other hand level food is far too fat and salty

5/5 Experience I went there with my friends and family This ride that goes very fast hits the spot try it Very good Experience

We had a great time at this park, the best bit being the 'Star Wars - Galaxys Edge' area where it really relt like you were part of the Star wars story. There were also plenty of characters in this area; we saw the Mandalorian, Chewbacca, stormtroopers and Rey on one visit. Really enjoyed the Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run ride, which had smaller queues than 'Rise of the Resistance' . Unfortunately we got halfway through the Rise of the Resistance ride before it broke down, so we didnt get to do it!
Not sure I enjoyed the Tower of Terror, but it is really well done and the storytelling/build up prior to the drop is excellent!
Toy Story Land was pretty cool, and possibly the busiest area whilst we were there. Slinkys dog dash rollacoaster is definitely worth going on, and we also seemed did alright with the character meets in this area too, seeing the green soldiers march through the park and also meeting Buzz Lightyear.
Also worth going to is an area not far inside the park on the right hand side where there are lots of meet and greet opportunities. There were ones for younger kids like Doc McStuffins always available, and we then queued up to meet Donald and Daisy Duck. There is also an inside area in the same place where you can meet Darth Vader, BB8 or Chewbacca. Not quite as much here as at Magic Kingdom but there are some real highlights and it isnt to be missed.

We went here May 6, 2024. It took Cheryl years to get Erik to attend a Disney theme park. Star Wars is what did it. This review is about the park and attractions. Restaurants will be rated in separate reviews. We had one of the best trip days of our lives, with Erik calling the visit magical. The customer service is amazing, the park is beautiful and spotless. We were able to get on 9 rides on 4 different attractions.
Rise of Resistance x1, Smuggler's Run x4, Alien Swirling Saucers x1 and Star Tours x3. The rides were exhilarating and entertaining. We built light sabers at Savi's Workshop which was very neat. We also built droids at the Droid Depot which was fun. Disney shipped all of our items home (4 boxes worth) for a mere $40. The staff at Droid Depot was amazing in getting our items cataloged and boxed. Yes, the lines can be long and yes it is expensive, but to us was worth every penny. Hollywood Studios passes our price to value index with flying colors. We definitely will go back. We give this venue our highest recommendation. Note from Erik: If you are skeptical about what people tell you about Disney magic, you need to believe them. Words cannot describe the feeling you get in the park, you have to experience it.

Look, it's expensive. Once you accept that fact and get over it, you'll have a better time. Slinky Dog and Rise are still in high demand with long wait times. We chose to buy lightning lane for Rise and skip Genie+ since it was a slower day. Our 10 year old is a big Star Wars fan and he loved it! Star Tours and Millennium Falcon were walk-ons. We waited no more than 30 minutes for Micky and Minnie, and Toy Story Mania in standby.
The actors, characters and cast were great, and the Fantasmic show was very good.
The only bad part of the day was dining reservations weren't working in the app, so we ate at Woody's Lunchbox, which has stale, overpriced food. I would never eat there again.
Besides that, it is what it is. Expensive, but fun, and worth it if you have a big Star Wars fan in your family.

Really good experience at Hollywood studios. Star wars rides were great- especially rise of the resistance. Once we had got the hang of the lightening lane tickets they worked well and we ended up pretty much running from ride to ride with virtually no queues.
Obviously all this comes at a cost, but despite this I feel to a certain extent you get value for money.
Customer service is great- I used it 3 or 4 times, for general enquiries, to get a refund for my mums ride (they were too bumpy for her), to change a restaurant booking and sort out my phone app. They were fab
Toilets spotless- most had a permanent cleaner in them. Park itself spotless, saw no litter at all.
The ride system works very well, though you really need to be savvy with the tech and get to grips with the app to maximise time.
The evening show was great- somewhat incoherent, and a bit less of the evil witchy angry dragon stuff and more of the moana singing would be good, but they did ultimately set fire to a lake- which was 👌 fab!
The only let down for us was the Derby Diner, mainly as the waitress introduced it as a different experience which was unlike other disney restaurants, but then actually wasn't particularly flexible at all. For example, soft drinks included.... except sparkling water. Child asked for a small version of adult dessert- but this is not possible..... any great restaurant would be able to provide small things like this. Infact- at magic kingdom we had the Cinderalla meal, and at Epcot we had dinner at the Chinese, and the service and ability to be flexible were better at both these venues.

Hollywood Studios is our least favorite of the 4 theme parks of WDW. Since our home park is Disneyland, we have already visited Galaxy's Edge many times. If you leave out Star Wars Land, Hollywood Studios has not much more that makes it stand out for us, other than Fantasmic!
In my opinion, Fantasmic! is the best show Disney has made. Unfortunately, the CA version has not been happening because of the dragon fire that occurred earlier this year. We were so happy to watch it here but it gets incredibly crowded for the show.
My husband and son did like the Tower of Terror. They thought it was very different from the Guardians of the Galaxy ride in California Adventure (which Tower of Terror became in CA). I liked the Slinky Dog ride.
Besides those 2 rides, we found the Indiana Jones Stunt show entertaining, and enjoyed looking at the exhibits in Walt Disney presents.

As a family we loved this park and put of the 7 days we were at Disney we spent 2 full days there.
All the staff are amazing, polite and can't do enough for you.
The old style Hollywood street and Chinese theatre is a great backdrop to greet you in to the park.
The Disney memory maker is a must have when doing the Disney parks as you can get unlimited pictures without the hassle of asking other guests. They do so many different types of pictures and add special Disney themed filters from rainbows to BB8 or Tinkerbell sitting in the palm of your hands.
The rides are great and the rock and roll rollercoaster was one of our favourite.
The star wars section we visited both during the day and night which gives it a completely different theme. It really does make you feel like you are on a movie set or part of the film. The attention to detail is fabulous. My son is a massive Star wars fan and was in his element building his own personal droid.
Terror towers did not disappoint, I always force myself on this ride 😜
The light show over the Chinese theatre was great and really worth watching. We also did the Disney animations show which was amazing and showed that Mickey is still on top 👍
Toy story land is so colourful and great for kids of all ages and the other parts of the park are so well put together.
Overall for kids that are in their teens this is an amazing park and something to do for everyone. Star wars fans it's a must experience.

It was a fun day, but me and my family were expecting so much more. Coming from CA we frequent Disneyland and California Adventure a lot and this park reminded us of CA Adventure. The Star Wars ride(rise of the resistance) and the Hollywood Tower of Terror were fun to ride see that back in CA the HToT is now the Avengers ride and the Star Wars ride are located inside Disneyland. Had it not been for these two rides being at Disney Hollywood, we could have skipped this park totally. Overall it was ok at best, and out of the four parks it was our least favorite.

Absolutely amazing park that's will live long in the memory. Enjoyed this park more than magic kingdom if being honest. More here for the adults to do.
If you are a star wars fan pay whatever it takes to go on the Resistence ride. Best money I ever spent :)
One thing, the cost of practically everything is this park is extortionate. 12 dollars for a pencil, 35 for a cap.

I visited Orlando with my parents quite a bit in the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s, and Hollywood Studios was probably my favourite park after Epcot.
25 years since my last visit, and I was now taking my daughters.
This was something my eldest (now 12) had spent the best part of 2-3 years waiting for, as she was obsessed with Micky and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and after being left disappointed it was not at Disneyland Paris, and not at Magic Kingdom on our first day, as soon as we were through the gates she was off like an Olympic runner to get a space in line.
This is not the biggest of parks, but I feel the three must do things are Micky and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (which actually was really good), Hollywood Tower and the Indiana Jones show.
We felt by mid afternoon we had exhausted the park, and took the cable car across the park to Epcot, where we spent the evening doing a walk around the world lake there.
All in all, easily my second favourite park, and it’s just the right size that you can add in Epcot also if you feel you have started to exhaust it.

Park Hopped to Hollywood Studios a few times during our vacation at Disney World. At first I wasn't too impressed, however by the end it kind of grew on me. If you are a Star Wars fan (which I am not) then its a must. The Park is easy to get around in terms of size, you can cover it off in a day easily. The frozen show was a highlight for the kids. The only disappointment was the cancellation of the Indiana Jones show due to lightning in the area. Probably my least favorite of the main 4 Parks.

The last time we came was a week before they opened the new Star Wars land so we enviously saw the ride queue times of 250+minutes during the first few days hoping that when we got the chance to go back they would be considerably shorter. We headed straight there and found that Rise of the Resistance was only 35 minutes so we took the opportunity to do this and it was very very good. Next up was the muppets before we took advantage of the Indiana Jones stunt show to eat lunch undercover in the shade as it was close to 39c that day. Post lunch we headed back into Galaxy's Edge to visit Oga's Cantina with the iconic tune associated with it. This needed pre-booking and you only had an hour slot. The drinks were cosmic and my nephew finally tried blue milk which wasn't as nice as he expected but the experience was a fun one. After this we did Smuggler's Run before encountering Kylo Ren and his cronies, who interacted with our group which was a good experience. Next up was Slinky Dog Dash and this is a very good ride with clever queue items showing all the bits needed to build the ride on big boxes. After this we headed to Rock'n'Roller Coaster which we single ridered and this was as good as it always was.

I have a great 3 days with Doc McStuffins. Her hugs feel so good. But I am feeling sad because I miss her.
Hopefully I will see her again next time.

We were so excited to be able to go to see the Star Wars attractions. Unfortunately we only had a day pass, and of course Rise of the Resistance was malfunctioning all day. We waited in line for almost two hours before we found out the ride was down. It would’ve been nice to have a cast member let us know before that. We loved Star Tours and meeting the characters in the Launch Bay. We loved the artistry of Galaxy’s Edge. While the Millennium Falcon itself was impressive, smugglers run was meh. We expected long lines, but the number of people that kept cutting through to catch up with the “rest of the family” and the never ending allowance of people let on from the Lightning lane was disheartening. It seemed like they let the whole lightning lane through before going back to the standby lane. All in all, it felt like we just wasted our time waiting in line.
On a side note though, the Indiana Jonea Stunt Spectacular is still great!

My family of five visited all the Disney and Universal Studios Parks in August 2023, and Disney Hollywood Studios was the worst.
The main reason is that they simply don't have enough rides/attractions, especially given that it's an expensive, popular and crowded park and several rides they do have always break down every day. This in turn causes massive queues for everything else.
We spent two days at Hollywood Studios feeling we'd mainly just stood in queues - something that was not the case at other parks (especially Universal).
Rock N Roller coaster was good (we only queued 5 mins by being in the park for opening) and the Indiana Jones stunt spectacular was decent. We also enjoyed Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run, Muppet Vision 3D, and the Fantasmic show in the evening.
Sadly we never got to do Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, because it was either (a) broken or (b) had a three hour queue ...and I ain't spending three hours queuing for a ride.
We didn't pay for Genie+ or Lightning Lanes, as park entrance is expensive enough. As a party of 5 people, these 'skip the line' options are just a rip off at what would be hundreds of extra dollars for our group. Even if you enjoy the rides I think you're just being utterly ripped off buying them and I'm convinced people must have regretted doing so once they sobered up.
So there are some decent rides and attractions, but too much of this park is endless shops and eateries desperate to part you with some more cash.
I didn't think much of the Disney park staff either. Most eatery staff just looked miserable and could barely grunt out a conversation with you. So much for customer experience.... if you don't like it, work somewhere else.
Universal Studios was sooooooo much better (more rides, better rides, short queues, nicer staff) and I'd actually encourage people to visit there instead.

I had a great time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It feels like you're walking right into a movie set, with everything from the Hollywood Boulevard vibe to the fun Star Wars attractions. Toy Story Land was awesome—the rides were so much fun. The park is easy to get around with its different areas like Echo Lake and Sunset Boulevard, and there’s always something going on, like live shows or cool attractions. If you like movies and theme parks, this place is worth a visit.

My wife and I visited Disney's Hollywood Studios recently. We had not visited in many years and we were looking forward to seeing the new attractions in the park.
When we pulled into the lot the line to pay for parking was not very long. We paid for basic parking; the price was lower than I expected since I looked up the price online beforehand and I saw the preferred parking price and was shocked. Thankfully basic parking was less than the price I initially looked up online.
We were directed to our parking space and were told to remember we were parked in row Jessie 205. We arrived 10 minutes after the park opened and we were parked midway back in the parking lot. Trams from the parking lot to the gate were not running as frequently as I was accustomed to 10 years ago or so. We decided to walk instead of spending time waiting for the tram. It was not too far to walk. At other parks like Magic Kingdom it is not practical to walk to the ticket center.
Before we went we noticed it was predicted to rain steadily all day. We knew that ahead and we came prepared with rain gear and warm clothes. I think the rain kept the crowds a little lower. It was a messy wet day, but many of the Hollywood Studios attractions are indoors so we only had to brave the rain walking around the park and not very often while standing in line.
The staff we met were friendly and helpful. Most were enthusiastic. There were two we met that were not enthusiastic and seemed bored by the job, but they were exceptions.
The park overall was clean. The restrooms were clean and paper was stocked properly. I did notice that at some places around the park there was faded or chipped paint. That surprised me a little since Disney used to be so perfectionistic about maintenance.
Hollywood Studios is Disney's smallest park by size and it doesn't seem to have as many attractions as Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. On a moderate day a person could experience just about every attraction in the park in a day. Many people refer to it as a half-day park since you can hit many of the highlights in less than a day.
We experienced the following shows and attractions: Star Tours, Muppet 3D, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Beauty and the Beast show, Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run, Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Rollercoaster, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway, Vacation Fun Animated Short, Disney Movie Magic, and Wonderful World of Animation.
The Millennium Falcon ride was interactive and a lot of fun. The Indiana Jones Stunt show was altered because of the rain, but it was still exciting. The Slinky Dog roller coaster is a mild, but fun roller coaster. Toy Story Mania is interactive and competitive; it is one of my favorite attractions. I have always enjoyed Star Tours. The theming is good and the fact that the experience varies with each ride is great.
We enjoyed our day at Hollywood Studios. My biggest concern was that maintenance seemed to slip since years ago. Hopefully Disney is taking that into account. It is a fun park and I would return.

Look, it was my favorite Disney park. And I don't know no, I think it's still kkkk. Now then with that part of Star Wars, it was wonderful. And I'm not even a Star Wars fan. I bought all the Lightning Lanes Multipass and Single Pass and that saved the trip. I don't think I'd go without it anymore. Even because I was on Thanksgiving week and it was all mega crowded. Important to secure Memory Maker. The photos are very cool.

When planning a trip you have to consider where to go and why. what would you like to see and do. For me the Star Wars part was worth the price of admission. having said that the remainder of the park lacks my interest. The Indiana Jones show hasn't changes in 19 years. It's basically still the same show, which is a good show, but after 19 years I would have expected some changes or upgrades. the architecture in general is nice and so is the landscaping. Meeting some of the characters was fun, but for me it lacks a bit in attractions. In all it was a nice experience, but i expected a bit more. You will love the Star Wars experience. If you are not into that, you might end up being disappointed and paying way too much. It would help to have some hopper tickets and spend only a half day here.

New Management (Bob Igor) is Destroying Disney..
The park is overcrowded and half of the park is being reimagined.. torn down .
Run Away TRAIN was broke down half the day.
Slinky dog was closed a lot and after I tried to use a bathroom that was closed because it BROKE , THAT WAS IT .. I went to Guest Experience umbrella and got a lot of excuses.. after telling them I wasn't a newbie ( 38th trip) and this wasn't normal , only then was I offered vip seats at a show , and a couple of lighting rides.
Still lines of 2 plus hours and misery followed my family the rest of the day .
Problem is .. this is happening at all of Disney Parks.
Something is seriously wrong ..
Long lines , broken experiences, employees with bad attitudes, poor food , etc is making Disney a non starter for me to come back.
They even CLOSED the candy store at Hollywood studios..WTH?
ADVICE ..SKIP ALL DISNEY PARKS UNTIL THEY FINISH REBUILDING THEM.

One of the best parks in Disney world. The attractions are very immersive and the shows are varied and qualitative. It goes through the discovery of the backstage, up to the musical, sometimes mixing the real with the virtual. Little tear for rock 'n' roller coaster that will soon disappear. I highly recommend!

Endless queues
Capacity of the park filled. They're overselling, because you can't give good service to so many people. And I went in January, I don't want to know on higher season dates.
In several cases the waiting times are much longer than the poster

This is a great spot for those Disney fans looking for some excitement and some Star Wars action. Make sure you get there early or the Lightning Pass to ensure you can go on every ride during your time there.

We visited twice during our recent weeklong vacation to Walt Disney World. The crowds were manageable, and the weather was great. We rope dropped one morning and went straight to Galaxy’s Edge for Rise of the Resistance, but it was down. We instead went to Smuggler’s Run and then came back to Rise. We enjoyed Runaway Railway, Indiana Jones, the Frozen Sing-A-Long, the Launch Bay characters, Star Tours, Toy Story Mania, Swirling Saucers, and the snacks. At the end of the night, we made our way to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater and watched Fantasmic. The show was wonderful!

We have not visited this park for many years but the new Star Wars area and rides drew us in! It is really good, the attention to detail is amazing and the rides are so unique. Some of us had fun building our own droids (pre booked). There were lots of characters around to meet too. The rest of the park is also good, with the Tower of Terror as good as ever! All topped off by the spectacular out door finale show at the end of the day...just amazing. As ever it is a long 12 hour day but well worth it. Typical Floridian weather went from hot sunshine to an hour or so of torrential rain so had to buy the obligatory ponchos.. got to say for $12 they have really gone down in quality, the side poppers brock almost immediately.

Awesome park. Star Wars and Toy Story areas are great. Been to Disney parks numerous times over the years but Cast Members, specifically gate entry employees’ training regarding finger scanning is a concern. Upon entering 2 parks (Hollywood Studios and Epcot,) we asked for alternatives to finger scanning and were told there was no other choice which is untrue. You do NOT have to give a scan and can go to Guest Services where you simply show a driver license (parent DL works for kids under 18.) Then, when you enter the park, you say you opted out of biometric scanning and you get in. Next time you’re at Disney, ask “Do I need to scan my finger to enter?” See what answer you get and share here.

Crowds were bad 55 minutes for smugglers run ran over 2 hours. Disney at its prime. Sucked all the money and joy out of the experience. Prices to high lines to long park has really gone down hill. Went to epcot 4 days ago food was terrible and expensive heard cast member tell guest I don't know I don't work here. Maybe people should go to Universal and spend ther money disney doesn't want it

Had a good time, despite a few issues. Didn't like having to have a reservations for all the eateries. Unless you know what restaurant are in park and what type of food they serve, then you have to practically make a mobile order. Once you get a mobile order, then look for seating, outside. Lines for all rides were extremely long, even if you purchased the express line upgrade. One good thing, there were fans at certain points while waiting in line. I seen people with electric scooters, struggle to maneuver through lines, like obstacle course. Definitely didn't feel it was handicapped friendly. Also, when trying to rent scooters, they only have a VERY LIMITED AMOUNT AVAILABLE. For the size park, seems like they would have offered more. PARKING: $25+ , if you need to park closer to gate, prepare to pay twice as much.

This place was too crowded to have a good time. We waited over 1 hour for 1 ride and it broke before we could get on. Tower of terror waited another 1.5 hours in the hot sun, no shade or fans to cool anyone down. The ride was fun though. I don't think we would ever go back.

At Hollywood Studios last week. The workers in the interior section of the Millennium Falcon were so obnoxiously rude as they set up groups of us pre-ride. Do better and teach your employees to be kinder, you’re suppose to be the happiest place on earth

You have to purchase genie plus if you want to go on rides cz it’s pathetic queue times without it . The Indiana jones show is amazing and we loved the beauty and the beast
The Toy Story area is brilliant too - we had genie plus and I wasn’t impressed the slinky ride you couldn’t go on with genie plus that day
The Star Wars area is brllliant - so much detail
The popular Star Wars ride ws unavailable on genie plus which is ridiculous
Drinks and ice creams are £5
It’s very expensive but it’s bound to be

This was my personal least favourite of the 4 WDW parks, but I know others rate it as their top!
Some big thrills, but for me I just didn’t get that same Disney buzz that the other parks do.

Since my last visit about 10 years ago the place has really lost its spark! The rides that were brilliant, like the back-lot tour which showed you how movies were made and the great movie ride in the Chinese theatre have all been replaced. Walt said Disney would always change and evolve, but I'm sure he meant for the better. It feels like Hollywood has lost its identity, and has gone from being my favourite of the 4 to my least. Toy story land was OK, but not amazing. The new Star Wars land was incredibly designed, but wasn't what I was hoping to get from Hollywood. Overall, very disappointing and if I'm honest (and I'm a huge Disney fan so can't believe I'm saying this) probably one to miss.

I was very impressed. The Star Wars land here was so well done and so cool. Toy
Story land was amazing too. Hollywood Studios is done like city walk with lots of shops and restaurants. One of my favourite Disney parks. My favourite ride in Disney Rock n Rollercoaster is here too. We also like Tower of Terror. It doesn’t have much shade and is very hot in the summer though . The food was good here we liked the shed type restaurant beside star tours and the sci fi diner where you sit in cars. Very good park you must visit.

I attended Jollywood Nights on 12/18/24 and really enjoyed myself. The entertainment and decorations were great! That being said, there was one little moment that I had during a show that didn’t really sit right with me. I was watching the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club (the 8:50 show). The singer and the band were great, and the dancers were good. I was standing in my spot, swaying from side to side and bopping my head to the music. Several other people on my side were doing the same thing and enjoying themselves. However, in the middle of the show, the actress who played Cookie (one of the dancers) walked up to the side of the audience I was standing at and said to us “Alright, no one from this side is dancing. That side is doing so much better than you”. That honestly put a damper on my mood. Not everyone is there to dance, some people just want to listen to the music. The fact that she was trying to make it a competition and shame people into dancing was not something I appreciated. It was not something I expected at a Christmas event, especially one at Walt Disney World. I wasn’t out on the dance floor before, and I definitely wasn’t going out after that snide remark. I’m not saying you need to reprimand her for what she did, but maybe just tell her to be a bit more mindful of what guests are comfortable with. Not everyone is comfortable with dancing in front of a bunch of strangers, some just want to vibe to the music and chill in their spot. I should make it clear that I did really like the band, the musicians and singer were fantastic. I especially liked when the singer said before a song “you can come on the dance floor or just stay in your spot”, because that’s the kind of attitude I like more. The other guy playing Chip I had no issues with, he was just doing some light teasing and interacting with the other guests (smiling and pointing things out). Maybe she could have said something like “I see you guys shimmying here but not out there. Why not come on down!”, or “Don’t ya wanna join us on the floor?” She could have done that instead of trying to make a competition when there shouldn’t be. That would’ve been a bit nicer, instead of trying to egg people on to do something they might not be comfortable with and make them feel bad for just simply wanting to listen to live music. That’s all I wanted to say about that.
There were, however, two really great experiences I had with a cast member and a performer. I rode Star Tours after that, and the cast member doing the seatbelt check had some fun names for our rows (Row 2-D2, Seat-3PO, May the 4th Row Be With You, and Revenge of the 5th Row). And right before she started the ride, she said over the intercom “May the force be with you, because I will not be!”, and that made everyone laugh. I don’t know her name, but I wish I did because she was great! And then, later on in the night, I watched the show “Holiday Fiesta En La Calle”, and that was incredible! Both the band and the dancers were very good! The dancers were all smiling and waving to everyone, they were all so friendly and jolly (and not pushy, like that Tip Top club dancer). Me and my mom were watching while eating out of a popcorn bucket. One dancer (a blonde woman in a yellow dress) saw us and told us how much she loved the popcorn bucket. She then did a little dance where she mimed eating popcorn, and me and my mom loved it! She then motioned over for me to dance with her, and I took her hands and did a salsa with her! I danced with her for a few minutes and it was so much fun! Once I was done and went back to my spot, she clapped and smiled and said “Good job! Good job!”, and that made me feel really good. Again, I wish I knew her name, because she was excellent!
I also very much enjoyed the shows there. I saw “Disney Holidays in Hollywood” (a very lovely and funny show hosted by Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy), the Prep and Landing light show, and the ice-skating show “Glisten!” My favorite would definitely have to be “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing Along”. The visuals and puppetry were amazing! Overall, Jollywood Nights was a fun time, just that one downside was the negative interaction with the performer at the Tower of Terror. Maybe her character was that she was a rude diva, but she still could’ve toned things down for a holiday event. Still, everything else was great! People should definitely check it out!

We went here on a Monday during April break from school, for our first time ever. It was very crowded the day we were there and most rides had waits of 45 mins to 90 mins. In the morning Slinky Dog Dash was temporarily closed which made the wait time even longer when it reopened.
We did get to go rides and see shows which we enjoyed. My daughters favorite ride was slinky dog dash. I enjoyed Mickeys run away railroad. We also saw the frozen sing along which was so much fun! We watched the Indiana Jones stunt show which was pretty cool. We had no wait to meet Ariel and a short wait to meet Joy. We had an amazing dinner at the toy story rodeo. It was family style and delicious. We also enjoyed Muppets 3D vision which will be closing soon, so glad we got to see it. It was a fun day just wish it wasn't so busy.

We are seniors and had not been Disney for 30 plus years so we were clueless. Next time we would stay at a Disney hotel to get in early and be able to get a lightening pass. We got there at 8:30 just to wait in a crowd of hundreds then could not get a pass. I went to customer relations who gave us a pass to get on Star Wars ride. Which is the only reason we came. It ended up being a fantastic day. We were able to go in everything. We suggest you get an agent to plan your trip so you buy all the right packages and passes you need. ( genie, lightening passes, restaurant reservations)

Ridiculous, absolute rip-off!
The two big roller coasters weren't running. If you bought the Genie+, which was supposed to get you a LightningLane, do you have to pay the same again for the StarWars rides? WTF
The park itself consists of three streets that you can go through quickly.
Thanks for nothing, Walt!

I could not believe my 5 year old Grand daughter would love Tower of Terror this much!🤣… She wanted to go right back in… BUT who wants to stand in line for 75 minutes! We were lucky to have a 30 minutes in line🙏🏻🙏🏻. There are some good restaurants in Disney Hollywood. This park was way too crowded though!🤪

This review is similar to another Disney park review I left. Totally NOT worth the money. We spent approx. $170 per ticket and managed to ride 5 rides the ENTIRE day. One of the rides we were most looking forward to was closed. We waited in line for over an hour at every ride. For one ride it was over 2 hours. I feel it would be beneficial to limit the number of tickets sold each day so people can actually get on more rides, but Disney's only in it for the money so they won't do that!! When you look at the park, there really is only about 8 rides in the entire park. Totally not worth the money spent.

The park is very cool as a whole, but the Star Wars session is incredible. It looks like Tatoine, very well characterized characters.
Beautiful park.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is our favorite out of all four parks. This time around we went especially for the Star Wars rides and we were not disappointed. We had a blast.!

I haven’t visited this park for over 10 years so with all the recent additions there was a lot of new things for our family to explore here. My only complaint is that the park theme is a little all over the place to warrant the ‘Hollywood’ name, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time here nonetheless.
Galaxy’s edge was fantastic, a very immersive land that I could have easily spent more time exploring. Rise of the resistance was a definite highlight although please get all the elements working again Disney (the blasters on the ship, the animatronic in the pre-show for example) as it is a ride that deserves the attention. We also visited docking bay twice for our meals as it was so good the first time- highly recommended. Both smugglers run and star tours were great too.
Mickey and Minnie’s railway was my favourite ride at the park (though there is still a small part of me that misses the great movie ride) it was great family fun.
Toy Story land would be fantastic on a cool day but has not been well thought out for the Florida heat. Slinky dash was a great family coaster, but did not enjoy the hot (although covered) hour plus queue. A couple more buildings in this area to escape the sun would be appreciated. The quick service food area would benefit from being inside as well.
The villains show was ok… great technology, but lacked enough real people to entertain. On the other hand, the Frozen singalong was fantastic- the two villagers carried the show and were hilarious.
We were really looking forward to Fantasmic, unpopular opinion, but it felt like it could do with a bit of an update and refresh.
There was plenty for us to do at the park and we didn’t get round to everything even with a few days here- would have liked to have got back on twilight zone, but have been on before.
A point lost for closing Muppets 3D, it was the best 3D show at Disney world just in need of a bit of an update tis all. Maybe it could be brought to the imagination pavilion at Epcot??

Too many people. Probably the most packed park I have ever gone to in my life. We went in early November. They sell out the limited lightning passes in the first hours of the day with no chance for those who don’t rush to the park and stand in the long lines to get in early in the morning. If you don’t get the lightning passes your child will have a sad heartbreaking day. My seven year old never got to go on the slinky dog rollercoaster because the wait times never dropped below 70+ mins, sometimes 90 mins! If you have kids that have any sensitivity to noise bring ear protection. If you are willing to stand in line for an hour and a half for a 5 min rollercoaster and don’t mind being packed in thick crowds with screaming children waiting then go for it. The fantasia show is super loud like being at an outdoor acdc concert. They really should give children without lightning passes the chance to ride once in the lightning lane instead of lightning lane customers going round and round while some children never go on the ride once. It is a cash grab and the magic of Disney is lost on the most popular rides. We got our $70 meal for a family of 5. A salad and 4 cheeseburgers. We had to buy 150-200 in merchandise to make up for all the rides we couldn’t go on and my wife and I were broken hearted for our seven year old who cried during fantasia and never went on his rollercoaster. Go to the hidden gems no one goes to. Waterparks like aquatica, and resorts with water fun are the way to go. Seaworld was busy, but nothing like Disney. We got to do everything there so I can’t complain about that. Seaworld’s show was not as blaring/loud and the fireworks are amazing. We did seaworld and aquatica then Hollywood studios on our third day. Our kids found Star Wars to be really cool but they were older and didn’t mind waiting for over an hour once for a ride. It is physically impossible to go on all the rides. Go to a park where you actually enjoy the whole thing in one day.

We visited on the 27/7/24 and had paid in advance for the new lightning lanes . Aerosmith was not working and that was our first lightning lane so that was cancelled . Luckily the tower of terror had a short queue early on and we got on within 15 minutes . I have been in this ride before but it’s still very good . After that the queues were just ridiculous, we did get on some rides but when Aerosmith came back on line we during get on the wait was over 80 minutes. Overall the park has certainly got busier since the last time I came and the new lightning lane system is a rip off . You already pay a lot for standard entry and then another 80 odd dollars for four of us to book rides which you can’t then get on . Further to that the bigger rides then don’t have any lightning lanes open in the day to book so I see no benefit of paying extra. On top of that you then pay thirty dollars just to park which was free on my previous visit . If you like getting ripped off and queuing for hours and only getting on minimal rides then this is the place for you . After this holiday I won’t be back .

Spending time with my family🩷at the happiest place on earth❤️and my children meeting the Disney characters💃🏽especially Minnie Mouse🩷my 3 year old loves Minnie Mouse🤩and riding the rides together🎢it was a beautiful experience we’ll never forget💃🏽🥰🥳

I went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios FL on July 2nd 2024 and it was a fun experience but extremely average, the roller coasters were good but could improve, for being one of the most expensive parks in the Walt Disney Corporation, there weren’t too many roller coaster, and the wait times were ridiculous. The prices are extremely bad, going up to 10 dollars for water and sodas, but at the end of the day, it’s still a great experience for your friends and family.

Quite disappointed by this park, which happens to be 90 % of shops. In which you may buy things you don't need. I walked into countless of these shops thinking I went into some special attraction. The park itself is overcrowded, so mostly you have to wait some 2 hours to get in one of the very few attractions. Frankly, the Star Wars space ride was fun and worth it. And the Sunset Boulevard singing show of evil Disney characters too. But there the music was so loudly played eardrums were nearly blown out. I summary, this park is very overpriced and has too little value for the amount of money.

I think it is the best park for adults, since they have more interesting attractions, do not miss the Tower of Terror, the attractions of Star Wars, the roller coaster of Toy Story, plus the meeting with Mickey and Mini, I recommend watching the games before going and schedule your visit according to priority so as not to miss what is of most interest, as well as seeing the game that fills up the most to go early, since at noon the lines can be endless, in the application you can also see the waiting times or if the games are suddenly closed by any malfunction, and the available times of the shows. You can bring snacks, snacks and drinks without problem, inside there are also several options but it will depend on each budget.

It is worth visiting this amusement park. We had an amazing family day. Although there were many people at the time, we knew how to enjoy it! The shows are spectacular, especially Fantasmic, which is 100 percent worth it!

I love everything about this park. Galaxy's Edge is a highlight as a Star Wars fan but every ride is good and the Hollywood theming is great! Good atmosphere

I would never recommend coming here. Lines are 2+ hours for a 5 minute ride. Disney is selling too many tickets then scamming you with add ons like Genie+ and lightning passes that don’t do much for you. Never again!

This park is the second best (for me it only loses to Magic Kingdom).
It has many cool attractions and the nightly fireworks show is IMPERDIBLE.

WASTE OF MONEY! and rip-off!
So let's start parking. There's $35 due. Admission varies, with us it was 182 plus tax. So almost 200 USD
What gets offered:
The only positive thing first: the starting scenery is really nicely done and worth seeing for fans.
But now it comes, but that was it. The so-called attractions are A) far too little B) far too badly done and boring.
With Indiana Jones, if you're a little athletic, you can participate yourself so badly it was...
The rest consists only of restaurants and merchandise. As well as photos for which you have to pay and sometimes the people there queue for 45 minutes to take a photo with a comic character. CRAZY!!
Go to Europark in Rust. There you are offered 10 times if not more for less than half.
Or if you want to go to Florida, go to Bush Garden. This park is also better by lengths.
Avoid Disney at all costs!! This was my second and definitely last Disney Park. It's all about advertising food and selling.
What makes a real theme park is not to be found there!

This was by far the favorite park for my family with 2 small children (ages 8 & 3). Toy Storyland was wonderful. The rides were fun and could be enjoyed by the 3 year old. The characters were fun, especially the marching soldier drum corps. The 8 year old was enthralled by the Star Wars rides. The Brown Derby Restaurant was fantastic. Simply put, it was a fantastic day. We will definitely return to this park.

Park not too big but the children had a lot of fun anyway..Recommended experience to combine with other parks

Had a Genie pass for Rock n Roller Rollercoaster but missed because of breakdown re booked for 7 hours later! Had a lightning pass for Rise of the Resistance but it was closed all day. I got my money back with no apology from Disney despite the fact it was the main reason we went. We got up early so we could book once in the park. Disney couldn’t give a dam. All the main rides in the park had huge queues I guess because Rise of the resistance wasn’t operating. Disappointing day out. Looking forward to Universal and won’t be going back here in a hurry. Of course it’s all about the money for Disney but never felt it more than today.

If there’s one word to describe my visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s epic. The park itself is a gem, filled with nostalgia, movie magic, and now, the cutting-edge world of Star Wars. For a fan of both Disney and sci-fi adventures, this place is unbeatable.
Let’s talk about the new Star Wars rides – they’re a game-changer. Rise of the Resistance is not just a ride; it’s a full-blown cinematic experience. From the moment you step into the queue, you feel like you’ve been recruited into the Resistance. The mix of animatronics, real actors, and breathtaking visuals is insane. It’s hard to even explain – you just have to live it.
Then there’s Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where you actually get to pilot the Falcon. It’s interactive and so well done that I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. Pro tip: aim for the pilot role if you can, it’s the most fun!
The whole Galaxy’s Edge area is unreal.

I took my family to Disney Hollywood Studios over spring break and this was the first and only disappointment in my 51 years of patronage of Disney parks and properties. So much so my 9-year-old daughter, whose family was celebrating her birthday, now does not want to come back and is repulsed by anything Star Wars. It Took all my strength not to march my family out of Disney property within an hour.
Arriving right at 9 am from our lodging at the Swan we were held in line for 30 minutes to enter Hollywood studios. The first two attractions we attempted to ride were closed for technical issues, one in which we were at the front of the line (Star Tours and Rise of the Resistance). On the third ride, we were able to board (Smuggler’s Run) but the attraction failed in mid-cycle causing us to be strapped too tightly and awkwardly for over 20 minutes. My elderly mother went into a panic. My daughter was in tears.
I should also note that on Saturday, March 23, 2024, the following marquis attractions were closed for part or the whole day: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith; Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy; as well as the three Star Wars-themed rides.
When I made my experience known to the guest services professionals within the park, they expressed sympathy and offered a lightning pass. However, when I attempted to redeem at an attraction, we were denied which only exasperated my frustrations.
I am also offended by the current attendant/ cast member grooming standards. Motivation and training seem to mirror a new policy for many questions posed to an attendant/ cast member were redirected to “look at the ap”.
The $180 a ticket plus accommodations, travel, food, etc would have been better spent elsewhere. My letter to WDW expressing my disappointment went unanswered. I will not be offering my patronage to WDW or its affiliates for any reason in the foreseeable future. You all lost a lifetime customer.

I was surprised at how many things there were to do here for a family taveling with two young grandchildren. For the adults, Star Wars and Indiana Jones had several attractions and the possibility such as making a handbuilt lightsaber if you wanted to sign up for that class. The Tower of Terror was another adult fun attraction. Our young grandchildren (as well as their grandparents and parents) really enjoyed Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and tried to ride it twice, but it was having technical problems the second time so after standing in line awhile, we went on to the very enjoyable Toy Story Mania midway style ride while playing a shootin' gallery game. It was something everyone could do and was good at. The Slinky Dog Dash was a first roller coaster for our grandkids and although they were excited about it, at times it was borderline scary for the more timid ones. Lots to see and do inToy Story Land. My husband (Opa) loved Fantasmic, but by showtime mommy and Nonna had already taken the exhausted grandchildren back to our hotel and the other adults had separated into groups to do their own thing, which worked out well. This turned out to be one of my favorite Disney Parks.

Great rides but main problem is tourists and not enough done about them on rides like Star Wars where my view would be completely blocked by mobile phones and not enough seating in places like in Toy Story land where it lead to people jumping in front of tables to steal chairs from disabled people leading to only standing tables for people who can't stand for long times.

The creation of the new Star Wars area gave a special air to the park, which was already very good, with attractions like the Tower of Terror, the show of Indiana Jones, meeting with various characters, the attraction of Mickey and Minie, which is very fun and as I wrote earlier the new and incredible Star Wars area. The ambiance is to take off the hat and there are two new attractions. But for us the highlight is Fantasmic, a wonderful show that happens at the end of the day and is very beautiful.

You'll have a busy day at Hollywood Studios. I like the following rides the most. Located in the insanely themed Galaxy's Edge section is Rise of the Resistance and Oga's Cantina. Rise is a state of the art theme park ride. Off the charts! Oga's is a great place for a drink and/or snack. Even the food is themed. Everything in Galaxy's Edge is worth a visit, the theming is nuts. Mickey and Minnie's is super cute and the theme song will happily haunt you all day. Tower of Terror is fun but not for small children or the faint hearted. Fast and wild drops. Toy Story Mania is so so so much fun. The Walt Disney Presents is worth a stop. It's a museum like exhibit about Disney history with a short movie at the end. Check the schedule for shows and character meet ups. There are bunches. We like Hollywood Studios a lot, but prepare for long lines, there's not as many attractions as the other parks.

Disney is not the same. Simply a horrible experience! Rude, unprepared team. Several attractions not working and without even warning on the app. And when I say several, it's almost all of them. In a whole day, we only managed to go to 3 attractions because they all broke down when we were at the beginning of the queue. The answer that coordinator Dani gave us when we said that we had a reservation at the restaurant and would lose it due to the toy breaking was: “its your risk”. In the other attraction the answer was: “that happens. Go to the guest relations.”

Used to love this park, not anymore. Far too much faffing about with genie plus and lightning lanes. Tried this park twice whilst here on holiday, dissapointing both times especially with ROTR going down like all of the time so we were unable to ride it at all. Total waste of money and time. Universal parks are much more fun and in my opinion you get far more bang for your buck there. Personally I believe universal would have done a better job of star wars land if they would have got that gig, but hey nevermind….Star wars land…more like ultra busy land, with far too many people and not enough room or attractions to cope with the demand..again this was a let down unfortunately. Only pluses for us were the TOT which is always worth a visit, and slinky dog which we managed to get a slot for and was fun to ride…but thats all folks!

Genie+ is a deceptive con. BUYER BEWARE. Our family went paying $24 a pop for genie+ and five different rides stated Genie+ was unavailable after 2pm. Tower of Terror, Micky Railroad, Toy mania, Smuggler Run and Saucer ride. All became unavailable. We were able to schedule a total of three rides before every other decent ride was gone. Disney should have to disclose this other than the microscopic fine print at the bottom of the page. DONT FALL FOR THE SCAM.

We had a great visit and if you are a str wars fan then this is a must. I could have stayed in the Star Wars section all day.
I won’t ruin any of the surprises but really enjoyed my visit.

Plenty to do here. Love the art deco theme stuff for kids here too. Toy story land is great. Recommend this Park for all ages.
Shame no refill cups anymore

Visited here with a school group as part of 2 Parks. Here first and it was very crowded but enjoyable. You have to purchase the themed things here before yiu leave the park to go elsewhere as each park does not stock the same Merchandise, which makes things tricky. Great Star Wars ride with C3PO and R2D2. Wonderful park.

It was cool, but honestly a sensory nightmare if you have a special needs kid who is sensitive to this. Was difficult to find good quiet spots to have a sensory break unfortunately.
If you're gonna go, do yourself a favour and get the genie plus, it was the saving grace of our day being able to schedule ride times and avoid waiting in lines.
The shop staff were all super friendly and wonderful but I found a lot of the ride and ground staff a bit snippy and yelling at people to hustle along.
Wasn't my cup of tea, so many other better things to do in Florida with that kind of money!

The park was horrible, hot, crowded, a complete waste of money and boy do they ever try and suck the money out of you; surprised they don't charge for the air you breathe.

On this visit, we took advantage of the new LL Premier which is Perfect for this park. Got us on everything in the park! Meaning we didn't have to choose which of the top rides we wanted to go on. well worth the cost when visiting in peak. Galaxy's edge is superb as well as whole park in general. Great day all round!

First visit to the studios and it was fantastic! The amount of people was alittle overwhelming but we kept going. We did 2 days and the 2 days we got the lightning lane thing and we had a much better day so it was worth the money.
Our favourite rides were areosmith, tower of terror, rise of the resistance and hilariously the Muppet show which we really enjoyed and the Mickey's runaway train.
I wouldn't say there's as much food variety but we found some great options.
Star wars world was unbelievable you'd believe you was actually there which was a must do if you're a huge star wars fan. Ronto roasters was a great breakfast stop.
I'd happily go back again so many great memories.

Great place for rides & shows, fantasmic at the end of the day is out of this world. To try see and do all what Hollywood has to offer you need to be in early and out late, very tiring in the Florida heat. Long queues and very frustrating when you’ve been queuing for 2 hours and the ride breaks down and your asked to leave, if this happens you are offered a fast pass for another ride only if you ask at guest relations so remember this tip. We would also recommend buying a fast pass or you’ll spend hours queuing for shows & rides. Very memorable day.

Disappointed by the disability services provided. They say all areas are accessible by wheelchair but I don't consider steep uphill ramps accessible unless you have a strong person with you who can push the wheelchair. They are not manageable otherwise. Having to navigate a wheelchair in the crowded regular lines is intimidating. Also there were not enough ECVs. Universal Studios was much easier with a wheelchair.

The old MGM Studio needs to be organized and updated. The new Star Wars area is quite interesting and the two attractions make time worth it in the queues. Several restaurants close long before the park, which is very inconvenient. The Fantasmic show also requires updating, although it still makes a lot of success among the kids. Unfortunately the Russian mountain, which has Aerosmith as the theme, will be discontinued, I walked it I think for the last time.

this was my first visit to the park and it is one of the worst Disney parks I have visited. There are only a couple of rides that are not available at any other parks. The Fantastic Theater is nice as are seem of the live shows but the park has a severe lack of shade.

Hollywood Studios is Disney's most film-dedicated park and brings entire areas, concerts and attractions dedicated to great movies. Among the Disney parks this is the one that has the most radical attractions and therefore has the best chance to please people of all ages. We suggest you arrive early to get the most out of the park. For this park we bought the fura fila multi pass and recommended, although we did not guarantee smaller queues at all attractions, helped us save some time. It is also worth planning to watch the shows, Frozen and The Beauty and the Beast are beautiful and very fun. It is also important to download the Disney Experience app, which allows you to track the waiting times of the attractions and the schedules of the shows you want to watch. With the app, you can make food orders and withdraw at the restaurant, saving time. In Disney parks, you are allowed to carry food as long as it is not packaged in glass. It is worth staying in the park to watch the closing show, Fantasmic takes place in an outdoor amphitheater, near the park lake and is really a must-see show.

My family visited Magic Kingdom (overall Classic), Epcot (Food) and Hollywood Studios, which had the best rides. There was more variety and definitely more for the older kids than the other two parks. If you only have very young kids, this maybe is not the best park for your family. But if you have tweens and teens then you should definitely have this one on the agenda.

Although I nearly had a heart attack at the prices of 3 adult 2 day tickets for Disney, going to the star wars attractions at Hollywood studios was a fab day out. It is a bit of a rip off that you either have to queue for close to 2 hours, or you have to get the lightening passes / genie passes and book a time slot, but of course that costs extra. Galaxy's Edge was good though. Rise of the Resistance was the best experience, Millennium Falcon, smugglers run was good but not so impressive. We were pleased to see that Disney restaurants now cater for gluten free too. A good day out for any star wars fan, but be prepared to splash the cash. Note: we travelled from the UK, the only option was a 14 day Disney Pass from the UK. Once you arrive in the US you can book passes by the day, either online or at a Disney store. We went to the Disney store on IDrive, Earl sorted out our tickets and made our park reservations for us, and no problems getting park reservations even on 4th July.

During my latest Florida holiday my girlfriend and I decided to do all the Disney parks.
Hollywood studios was very clean, well presented and I thing like it was back in the late 90’s when I last visited.
The Star Wars Galaxy Edge area is superb, amazingly presented and themed and simply out of this world.
Ride wise out favourites are as below:
Rise of the Resistance
Millennium Facon Smugglers Run
Tower of Terror
We annoyingly didn’t get to ride Slinky Dog due to constant silly long queues but maybe next time.
I’d highly recommend this park to anyone especially if your a star wars fan.

Hollywood Studios has really grown over the years in my opinion. This was my first visit to Hollywood Studios in about 5 years. It was also my first visit to Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land.
I had been looking forward to getting to Galaxy's Edge for quite some time as a huge Star Wars fan. It lived up to it all. Rise of the Resistance was just unbelievable. It is so much more than just a ride. Stepping out into the imperial starship was mouth dropping. Smuggler's run was good, but not great. Walking into the attraction was again amazing. It was so much more than just a ride. While on it two people place pilots, two gunners, and two engineers which I thought was a really cool concept. You all play your role in the mission. We then stopped at the Cantina and I was able to order a Blue Bantha which looked like a blue milk. You can also order blue milk out in the park. It was such an authentic experience. The giant Falcon in the park was aweing to see. Well done.
Toy Story land was fun but is more so meant for kids. We did go on Toy Story Mania which is a competitive game where you try to out score those in your vehicle while shooting at 3d targets. I had a lot of fun with this and if it weren't for the interest of time I would definitely wanted to have done it again.
The Rock N Roller coaster was down for renovations so it was disappointing to not get to ride that, but I understand.
All in all there are a lot of new and old attractions at Hollywood Studios. It has absolutely leveled up as a park. I highly recommend a visit.

We love this park and we’re so excited to visit . While the park was still wonderful, some of the cast member interactions were not great and we have never had any issues like this before. I was wheeling my special needs daughter in her wheelchair to check into the park. The female worker had her head down at the wrist band check in area. Apparently she was having some kind of technical problem. As I wheeled my daughter to the area , she didn’t look up and only pointed her finger and hand to non verbally stop me me from coming to her que. she did not speak she just put up her hand . I was not happy at all . I just simply wheeled my daughter to the next que . So I’m figuring she’s not having a great day. Another episode was when we were in line at the Mickey run away railway . There was a cast member who was not very nice to an elderly couple next to us in line . She was quite rude to them. It was odd to witness this as the couple were very unaware of where they needed to go in the line. . The third incident was when we were leaving the park and my husband went to get our car in the handicap parking. I wheeled my daughter to the road and I sat on a bench to wait . When my husband came around with our car to get us , a security guard started yelling he couldn’t stop there . There was no signs indicating anything about that. There was actually a bench I was sitting on. He saw my daughter in her wheelchair too. The whole thing was weird. Perhaps put up a couple signs saying this isn’t a pick up area. Maybe don’t put benches there. It was just unfortunate to have witnessed three things in one twi hour park visit.

Not a magical experience! We are currently stuck on the Rise of the Resistance debating about leaving. We purchased a single pass lightening lane and are about an hour in. The last ride we rode had was Smugglers Run which had a posted standby time of 20 minutes. We waited about an hour in line. Very disappointed so far.

Got into Park early , everyone at gate to welcome else in the park. I walk around to street nice clean . And walk to Rocket Roll coaster it had delay but I got ride it.

A little background first: I've been lucky to visit WDW several times since I was 10 years old. With my parents and sibling and now with my own family. I've visited Disneyland Paris several times too, and we were on Disney staycation cruise. I'm not a first timer with no plan.
However, my experience last month was quite frankly, horrendous. I did my research, watched the waiting time trends etc...
We did not want to spend our whole holiday in theme parks - but as my husband is a big geek, we really wanted to check out the Star Wars attractions. We opted for 1 day only. Cost of the tickets for 2+1 was $450. As I said, I researched before travelling. Opted for the Genie plus to make sure we got on the rides... another $66. Rise of the Resistance isn't included, so LL purchase... another $66. I will also mention that I couldn't book Rise until at the gate for the non hotel guests rope drop, by which time, the only available time slot was 8pm!
I booked Oga's Cantina and the drive in diner. Cantina: herded like cows to their milk pen, we were plopped alongside 2 other families at a long standing table, all squished together. Tiny little drinks (full of ice, minimal fluid) and tips for the waitress... another $30. Yes, I knew the cost before we went... however, it was grudged because of the crappy set up. Drive in diner was as expected, again, I'd already checked the menu before travelling. Decent burger, good service and we didn't leave hungry.
Now onto the park. Overcrowded. Every single ride had extensive queues throughout the day. There was no lull in the wait times. There was no options to go see something else and come back... this should tell you that Disney has let too many people into the park. If I had not purchased genie plus, we wouldn't have gotten on half of the rides. We didn't go on holiday to stand in queues for the majority of the day, for a ride leass than 5 mins. Where's the fun in that?
The positive I can say is that the rides themselves and attention to detail are superb - Rise has to be the most visually stunning experience Disney has produced. Massive thumbs up.
However, between the cost (forgot the $30 parking) and overcrowding, my opinion is that Disney has completely lost it's sparkle. Its just become another money making machine which actually doesn't deliver much, and certainly not value for money. We have actually made the decision that on our future trips to Florida (or any other locations), we won't be returning to Disney.

We recently visited here whilst staying at Disney. We all love this park it is amazing. We were blown away by Galaxys Edge it was fantastic got on the rides which were fab. Toy story land was really good aswell. We eat at roundup rodeo bbq food was so nice and good value. Highly recommend visiting here

Called into Disney’s Hollywood Studios a couple of times during our two week stay in Orlando.
Great day out, lots of walking, plenty to see, plenty to try

Our experience started with trying to get Lightning Lane passes for this park in the My Disney mobile app. For some sadistic reason, Disney decided that passes would become available at 7 am EST, which is 4 am on the West Coast. And on top of that, the mobile app would hang on the “Lightning Lanes” page every time I tried to bring it up. I ended up calling customer support to buy Lightning Lane passes, and luckily that worked, although by then there weren’t a lot of good ride times left. I recommend just using customer support for getting Lightning Lane passes, rather than the buggy mobile app.
We got to the park around 9 am, and managed to ride 5 rides and see 1 show over about 6 hours. The rides were great, especially Ride of the Resistance; I would definitely have ridden it again if the line wasn't so long, but I feel lucky that we were able to ride it at all considering it broke down for much of the day. Slinky Dog Dash always had a really long wait time (50 minutes at 9:30 am), so I would recommend hitting that first, or using a Lightning Lane pass. Star Tours always had a short 5-minute wait, and Toy Story Mania was only a 20-minute wait in the afternoon. With regard to Lightning Lane passes, we added our Hollywood Studios entry tickets to our Android Wallet, and were able to use Wallet for the Lightning Lane passes as well; this worked great and made it easy to get on rides.
Overall the theming in the park was great, especially the Star Wars and Toy Story areas. But it was hard to move through the park because of all the people, and there was very little shade or seating. It made for a tiring day, but we did enjoy it.

We love this park but Aerosmith breaking down twice when we were close to get on it after long wait! We did get a LL to use but we were just over it. Slinky Dog is a ridiculously long wait . There is nothing else like Rise of the Resistance! It is a must do. Galxy Edge is very well do e. Olga’s canteen I loved and a storm trooper talked to us. I had the bloody rancor and it was very good.

This is still one of my fav theme parks. Mickey’s run away train, slinky dog dash, and Toy Story mania stand out for our family. But be warned - these rides get crazy long queues. Fast passes are advised!
Love that you can meet different characters from
Inside Out, Monsters inc etc.
And as for Fantasmic - wow just wow. The best show at Disney!

Started with tower of terror which is running crazy smoothly lately. Slinky dog was booked all day and night so we missed that. Get on the star wars ride at the end of the night barely a wait and it'll save you money on the lightning lane. My sisters favorite was that and mickey and minnies runaway railway. Sci fi diner is the best. And little mermaid is sadly closed which is terrible because it was a great show.

An excellent park especially for Star Wars rides and of course tower of terror. BUT if you have a food allergy be prepared to wait for your food. At Toy Story quick service it took 20 minutes to get the OK for the food order for a turkey sandwich because of a nut allergy ! I understand that it really important to get it right but that’s a long time.

We only had one day to go to a park during our visit to Orlando and chose Hollywood studios.
Myself, son and grandson enjoyed Star Wars but that was it. At 11 years old my grandson was too old for the other attractions. The food was reasonably priced considering it was Disney. My grandson built a droid and had fun doing that.

I spent the last year saving up for a family vacation -- first family vacay in 10 years. I asked my teenage boys where in the US would they like to go. Since they are huge Aerosmith fans, they immediately said Hollywood Studios so they could ride the Rockin Rollercoaster. After paying over $740+ on 4 tickets and waiting in a crazy hot line to enter the park, we soon found out that that ride was not in service. My boys were absolutely devastated. We walked around the park to see what else was available, but not much and all 55min plus wait times. We decided to leave the park. I reached out to WDW and provided my feedback, but they didn't have much to say. I will never visit another Disney park/resort as long as I live.

If you love Star Wars, Galaxy’s Edge is a must!! Could have easily spent all day in there just watching the crowd and the characters. Going to fit in another visit before we leave!

We loved Hollywood Studios. There are plenty of thrill rides to choose from; the classics like the Rock’n’Roller Coaster ft. Aerosmith & the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, to multiple Star Wars and Toy Story rides. I think that Genie+ is a necessary option for this park, as lots of rides have significant wait times. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, set your alarm and purchase before 7am so you can start booking at 7am! You won’t regret waking up early. Those staying at a non-Disney hotel, you can book from 9am. Try to book the Slinky Dog coaster ASAP as this ride had the longest wait time in the park for the whole day and books up fast. The staff are lovely and there are lots of food and drink kiosks/eateries around. You need at least 6 hours at this park to fully enjoy all it has to offer. As it is the wet season, be prepared for rain and thunderstorms which can impact the rides.
Pro: the rides! There is something for everyone. Make sure to try Mickie & Minnie’s Runaway Railway as this was classic Disney fun - we went on twice! If you’re a Star Wars fan, this will be your heaven.
Con: visiting in the heat is A LOT as there aren’t many shaded areas and the entire place is basically concrete. Plan accordingly and prepare for a a hot day if you visit in summer.
Tip: if you don’t want to (or can’t) purchase Genie+ for the day, GO EARLY. It gets very busy.
We also visited Hollywood Studios for a Disney After Hours event, and this was well worth it! If you don’t want to wait in lines, do this. You are able to go on all rides multiple times throughout the evening as capacity is limited. You also get drinks, ice creams and popcorn included in the price. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the rides and night atmosphere. It’s also cooler at night so it made for a more enjoyable visit. You will not regret coming to an After Hours event.
If I had the choice of only visiting with a standard day ticket or an After Hours ticket, I would choose After Hours.
Take away: must visit when coming to Disney. I would definitely come again!

Hollywood Studios is my fave of all the parks! I love the movies! Whether a ride, show or just props, I love it all! Backstage fun is always the best and there is plenty of it here! What’s great about this park is that each place allows for a decent amount of people so there isn’t much wait. I just love this park!

Still enjoyed terror towers and rock n roll roller coaster. The Star Wars rides are great and the slink coaster
The new mickey and mini ride was fun but with ratatouille in Epcot and Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, the ride system started to feel repetitive. Each story is great and really enjoyed each ride.
The Star Wars Galaxy edge area was very impressive and like walking into the films. Really enjoyed Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run. Slink was a really good youngest coaster. Enjoyed it far better than dwarfs in MK.

Having been to this park many times I Iike it overall. The Star Wars land is themed very well! If you have not seen the Fantasmic evening show you are missing out on perhaps the best show in all of Disneyworld. I would go to this park just to see this show. Just check it out!!!

We had 5 days of park hopper tickets and found ourselves at Hollywood Studios on 3 of them. The first two days we were trying to maximize our lightning lane passes and went back and forth from Epcot with the Skyliner. We were lucky to snag Slinky Dog Dash which made planning much easier. We also lucked out and caught Rise of the Resistance at just the right time and had only a brief wait. The third visit was just at night to see Phantasmic. We love the rides and were glad to see Rocking Roller Coaster before it was shut down. Runaway Railway is another favorite that we did multiple times. We ate at ABC Commissary which was a pleasant surprise.

This place was so much fun that we scheduled it twice on our trip! There is so much to see and do that it could take several days to do everything. Don't miss the Indiana Jones Stunt Experience, Bakuu, Toy Story Land, etc.

Queues are generally OK but if you want to go on one of the better rides, they totally mug you off unless you pay extra for Lightening Lane. As an example, on Star Wars: Milleniun Falcon Smugglers Run, they let through 5 people from the Standby queue and 34 people from the Lightening Lane.
We then get to the front (after over an hour) and they then say there are technical difficulties.
Money grabbers especially as you pay enough anyway for general entry.

You pay a lot and get little benefit.
Genie+, when you can schedule it, works but it always blocks for two hours. Main attractions hardly open onto the lighting lane.

In this park it is important to schedule to see the shows of Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen.
The app juices because it provides timetables and allows you to request alerts.
Don't forget about water and snacks.
The biggest ranks are in the Star Wars novels, Mickey and Minnie's and Toy Story's mountain ranges.
At the end, the Fantasmic show, which is sensational.

The rides have waits over an hour, the length of the ride might be 4-5 minutes, and they are not worth the price of admission, $368.00 for a couple!! NO senior discounts, I guess it goes along with their far left progressive stance, older people just don't matter!!It was a rip-off!! The food is dairy queen ish at its worst. We hated it. I started going to the real Disneyland when Pirates of the Caribbean opened at the original Disneyland in 1967, yes, that's when Tinkerbell flew down from the top of the Matterhorn. This is not worth the price of admission!! Walt Disney is turning in his grave at how these parks are now.

Hollywood studios is a decent place to spend a half day if you enter at the start and are able to get rides. First the stores: The stores lacked a lot of merchandise including any real variety for mouse ears. The keychains have primarily been relegated to Disney Springs. The available shirts and lack of any real star wars merchandise save for the lightsabers and some helmets and stuffed animals, kind of lacked, even with the mech droid shop. Next, the interactive character experiences are very infrequent and short in duration and not advertised very well. The night show is non existent since they dumped the Star Wars night show and not worth staying for at all. There are no more First order marches in the parks daily and the overall feel is rather strange, a park in search of something it has not found. The park was not very crowded and without the Aerosmith coaster feels a little less full for rides. The shining parts are Galaxy's Edge which has a ton to look at, though not many experiences and the star wars rides and slinky Dog coaster. 50's prime time diner is always great fun, but the park was just kind of drab in terms of real offerings. If you go, make this a half park day and go elsewhere.

For the amount that we had to pay just to get in, I was disappointed and it's no longer the happiest place on earth. The ticket people were short and abrasive, the security people were pushy and rude. For a company that teaches customer satisfaction all over the word to some of the largest corporations, they need to look at their own business.

Some good parts to this park but poorly laid out and zig zag required to navigate. Expensive and too busy. Went during school term but there were still thousands of brats.

Fantastic park. We visited all 4 Disney Parks and Universal during our trip and this was probably my favourite! Great variety of rides, managed to get on all the "difficult" ones by rope dropping and then with the lightning lane passes hit every almost ride in the park in a day! So much to do! Great rides for kids and adults alike, building a lightsaber, meeting Disney/Star Wars characters (my boy met Mando & Grogu, Chewbacca, Buzz Lightyear & Rey) and then having cocktails at Ogas Cantina in Galaxy's Edge which was a great way to end a fab day! Yes, the "DJ" also played THAT song!

I have visited this park 7 times since it first opened and my 8th visit was a huge disappointment. They have replaced some excellent attractions ( The great movie ride and the backlot tour) and instead put a huge emphasis on Star Wars. The balance is now all wrong. If you’re an adult who doesn’t like big drops or Star Wars then there’s nothing here for you anymore. Incredibly disappointed. Disney have dropped the ball on this one. Massively.

Not a big fan of extreme rides, we happily skipped the intense thrill rides like Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. The new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is full of dazzling, trackless technology and pure cartoon chaos. Both Star Wars attractions felt revolutionary: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was an incredible interactive piloting experience, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a massive, highly theatrical journey that easily ranks among the best rides Disney has ever created due to its minimal motion and complex storytelling. The entire day was capped off by the classic musical extravaganza, Fantasmic!.

The best Disney park!
I know that magic kingdom is a must stop and that the fireworks show is unmatched, but Hollywood studios have the coolest toys and simulators, have the coolest characters, and Fantasmic, which is the nighttime show is beautiful.
Start the hair toys:
There are 3 star wars simulators the first one is weaker, but the raise of resistance, I believe it is the best toy of all Disney parks, is a simulator in which you sit in the cart and the droid has to save you from Ben Solo, going through a flight simulator in which you feel the fall (but it is not so abrupt).
without telling all the details that are before you get into the toy, it's sensational.
Characters: You will find the prison of the monsters SA, Incredibles, Mickey and Minie, Pluto, Pateta and Max, Star Wars characters such as Ben Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader (the best villain in the movie).
Show: Fantasmic for me is even better than the fireworks show (but this is very personal) the show is about Mickey rule the waters, in addition to the characters that really appear there is a projection in the waters. The villains try to stop Mickey's imagination and of course they end up getting bad with Mickey saving everyone. It also has fires and the most magical thing is that the river catches fire.
One stop is: go to the Indiana Jones attraction which is pretty cool.
And if you are with a small child the theatre of the beautiful and the beast is attractive.

Bad experience! Frustrating! We were stuck in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ for 40 minutes, with our seat belts super tight, with 7 children inside the stroller. After this frustrating toy, it caused our ride to be delayed. When we went to the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster that is on the agenda, it was closed for no reason. At the end of the afternoon we went to Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway which we also booked after 25 minutes waiting in line, we were informed that it was not working either. An expensive ticket to a park is not up to date with maintenance. We left tired and frustrated by the terrible experience. Inefficient rides running like DisneyParis.

A very poor value experience. Purchased Genie + for lightning lanes, and despite getting on the app first thing we only got on two of our preferred rides all day. I hated having to walk around staring at my phone hoping for an earlier slot to appear. Impossible to get on Rise of the Resistance without a minimum 2 hour wait so we didn’t bother. Rocking Roller Coaster - which we were really looking forward to - is broken until “later in the summer”. The slinky dog roller coaster also broke down half way through the day. Very few characters walking around the park although we caught the Toy Story army soldiers - who were brilliant. I’ve given one star for the Oga Cantina which was great fun and the other for Indiana Jones. But I’m afraid overall this is just not worth the price - save your money and go to Universal where the Express Passes actually get you on the rides.

Star Wars rise of the resistance was really in a league of its own - fantastic! Note that if you are disabled, ask for the “in ride” wheelchair for the bit until you get into the cart, as there was a bit of standing after the transfer point - more than expected.
It’s a comparatively small, manageable park - We also enjoyed Mickey’s runaway railway, the tower of terror, and the rock and roller coaster. There’s not many “grab and go” food options, and the actual meals require a long wait.
We used the lightening lane multi pass and single passes. For multi pass, you book one tier 1 ride, and two other tier 2 rides in advance, and then during the day once you go on the rides you can replace them with new ones via the app, if available.
Ensure you bring ear defenders for children. The Villains show and Indiana Jones was way too loud! The rest of the older stunt shows have been cancelled and replaced with tamer princess shows - not my favourite.
However, in my opinion some slightly unprofessional ride attendants and rude servers let the park down a bit, e.g I heard ride attendants complaining about their work hours to each other right in front of us… However on the other hand there are a few STAR ride attendants who give you a whole experience.
A Disney disaster!
The truth is a disaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorTM is broken and they don’t warn you and especially they don’t know how long it took them to fix it, like yesterday we were run from Magic Kingdom for a private event, we had to buy tickets again to witness the fireworks and the castle mapping
