Two adults tried Typhoon Lagoon for the first time. Nice lazy river, we stayed in the river for quite a while. The big wave pool was okay, big waves so be careful walking into the deep or you might be unpleasanty surprised! After observing some of the slides we decided to skip most of the single rider slides as it seemed most adults got sort of stuck at the end. We did have fun going down Miss Adventure Falls which was good fun.
We had a nice time, however we have been to better waterparks.

The vibe is so much better than the other two main parks. Volcano bay is more fun, but this is more chilled out and really makes you feel like youāre on a beach - which if youāre doing a park filled holiday it isnāt always that restful.
With the lazy river I would do this first as it gets very full quickly, and around lunchtime thereās so many people in there it doesnāt give the lazy stress-free vibe.
The only other thing is, even though thereās lots of seats, I do recommend using your own towel in a chair because people will take chairs and move them. Thatās the only downside with this park, we took two chairs by an umbrella as we were there early. After just going into the wave pool opposite for 5 mins, a family had moved 3 chairs behind us just to try and fit under the same umbrella. And we had that family sitting on our sides all day. So it gets very crowded.
Iād recommend eating by the number 13 restaurant. It offers the most variety and is reasonably priced.

We went to after hours event at WDW in may for our anniversary. while Disney is perfect in every other way, I cant say i will be back and i have been going to WDW for over 50 years. The line jumpers, the people hiding their arms on the after hours event, the people that say they have family up ahead in line, stressed me out to make it almost not worth paying the money to do an after hour event. i love Disney but they have to figure out how to control the line jumping and monitor the arm bands. we were in long lines when it really shouldnt have been, we had 15 people bump into us to get further ahead in line and we saw people cover their arms and get on rides when they shouldnt have been allowed in the line or even in the park at that time.

After many many Disney vacations we finally ventured out to try a water park. Iām the type of person who cringes when her feet hits the cool pool water so I was skeptical about being in and out of water all day after all the Florida sun dries you off while in line I was pleasantly surprised to find the water to be warm and enjoyable it was not a shock being thrown in after a water slide. We enjoyed the lazy river and how it was used to transport you around different sections of the park. The wave pool was great fun it seemed to have had 3 different varieties one it was calm, 2 it had a constant wave motion and 3 a giant wave would hit every 90 seconds or so, we liked the giant wave the best. They had a few tube rides for the whole family. I did find a few rides hard to carry my tube all the way up the stairs I could see younger children not being able to. I didnāt find the food selection all that good and most places were closed. They give free towels to resort guests you pick them up at the gift shop when you enter the park. Locker was $10 for a small one it fit our family of 3 shoes, clothes and backpack. You pay through a computer and select your own code and it gives you a random locker number to find.
Make sure you bring ID we paid with credit card and they would not accept it without ID. I never carry ID or even a wallet on vacation just my 1 credit card and thankfully my husband got a drink the night prior so I happen to have his passport otherwise we would have been turned away.

Was such fun. The waits for the rides we did were short. We went into the pool. Tip wear water shoes when in the wave pool.
We enjoyed the lazy river the most was relaxing. Staff were helpful suggesting alternative drink filling locations and helping some of our party onto rides.

Came here 14 yrs ago before family had kids so this time
was extra special to visit.
our 2 grandchildren aged 3 & 5 absolutely loved it here
as did we again. Very hot the days we went but found
a nice spot under some palm trees in the shade.
Kids play slides, lazy river, wave machine and raft rides
we all went on and absolutely loved it.
The park and areas are all very clean too, refillable drinks
are a must here too! Food good choices too.

This was the best experience we had at disney. The rides are great with short queues and a mixture that caters for all the family. The typhoon pool is great and the waves are amazing. We had so much fun and wished we could have gone again during our stay. Thoroughly recommend if you are staying in Disney.
Lockers are chargeable but it's worth getting a big one if you have a bag and they are not overpriced. You can hire towels but just as easy to take your own and if its hot, you don't really need them anyway.
Shame there wasn't a direct bus from our hotel but a change at Disney springs wasn't difficult.

We had a brilliant day at Typhoon Lagoon. We arrived at 10.20am, no queues on arrival. Lockers were easy to hire, you purchase a locker via the kiosk and chose a code to open the locker. You can open this as many times as needed during the day and a large locker is $15 a day.
You can buy a refillable souvenir cup for just under $12.
Sunbeds and chairs did fill up pretty quickly but we did end up finding a couple of chairs to sit on. You can hire cabanas for extra costs. These were sold out when we went but we didn't need it.
We loved the lazy River, good availability of rings and chair to sit on. Was so relaxing.
We spent pretty much the whole day in the main pool. The wave machine there is something else, it literally knocks you off your feet. The big waves were pretty much continuous for an hour at a time. Some where stronger than others. You will get knocked over and go under the water. Hold on to.your hats and glasses!
Even at the edge of the pool where you think you will be ok the current is still strong. Lifeguards are present and were very vigilant. Honestly so much fun, we didn't even do any slides as my daughter just wanted to be in that pool all day.
The pool is huge so even on a busy day plenty of space.
Food offerings were good quality and varied. Highly recommend the funnel cakes for a treat.
Park was clean, staff friendly and helpful and just a great park. Female Changing area was spacious and showers were available.
Towels are free to disney resort guests, I don't know if there are costs if you're not staying on site.
If you're staying at a Disney hotel you need to get a bus here from disney springs. In order to save time I opted for a lift, and this was approx $9 each way to caribbean beach.
Highly recommend this water park.

Came here because it was hot and wanted to cool down and have Fun!
You're better off getting there at the rope drop and go to the Crush 'n' Gusher!
It's an amazing ride!
The wave pool is so Fun! There's a wave every couple of minutes!
You're not aloud to go past the red line in a life jacket in the wave pool!
Definitely strong and experienced swimmers past the red line in the wave pool!
Typhoon lagoon was amazing!!!!

This was my first visit to Typhoon Lagoon. It was wonderful! So many things for kids and grownups to do. I'm not a water person but enjoyed the wave pool, the family raft ride and just lying in the sun. My family members enjoyed the water slides.

Absolutely enjoyed ourselves!! The slides were amazing and the wait times weren't too bad. Special Shout out to Catherine and Maria!! They made our stay magical!! They both helped us find shaded a shaded area to sit and they got an extra special treat for my daughter because it was her birthday!!!

Visited here 7/8/24 which was our first water park for our three week holiday . We arrived at 9-30 am and for once didnāt have to pay for parking . That bonus soon came to an end !! Thatās the only bonus to this place. I came here over 13 years ago and the experience then was far better . Today we were told most attractions were down other than the wave pool and slusher gusher and family ride next door . The rest of the park was out of action until past 2pm when everyone just rushed from the wave pool to the lazy river . They said there was a water issue which surely could have been dealt with prior to park opening at 10am .. Refill cups are now very expensive 27 odd dollars for two and you now need to pay for a locker which was $15 , again another Disney rip off . You can get a cheaper locker but they are not big so good luck !! My last trip in 2011 they were free like all car parks across Disney ⦠So our trip to a water park for getting not a lot was just a waste of time . The refill stations for the drinks were horrendous full of wasps everywhere so you took your chances on not getting stung filling up your cup . Busy all over , to get a sun bed you had to be lucky and we were in early .. I have been to many water parks over my time and if I just compare one such as the one in Dubai at the palm jumeirah hotel itās like a night and day experience with that one being so much better .. Terrible experience overall .. wonāt be back !!!

Absolutely amazing! So much fun had by all the family. You really just canāt beat Disney! Always clean and never disappointed .

It's a brilliant chilled out waterpark .
So if you want thrilling rides like Wet n Wild used to offer... You won't find them hear , however the rides are still really fun ! The wave machine is actually really good and it was quite challenging swimming to the back of the pool where these were on because they are huge waves ! We rented the posher chairs for the day and it was nice to relax a little and do some easy fun water rides after a whole day theme parks the day before .
The ladies changing facilities let it down , they were filthy, no toilet paper, broken showers, and It just let the park down , yes I get it's a water park , but it's Disney , in Orlando Florida ? The standard in there seemed on par with visiting a dirty ran down place.. Not Disney . I did tell staff at the park about it but they just said oh interesting... Very sub par customer service for Disney ... If they fixed this issue I would come again.

Absolute rubbish just a tired old park that needs knocking down , never again I am off to Volcano Bay. If it was not free I would not have even wasted my fuel.

We stayed in Walt Disney World for 2 weeks from 31/3. We knew Blizzrd beach was closed but we were not prepared for how busy this park would be. We had to get 2 buses, 1 to Disney Springs then another to Typhoon Lagoon. We eventually arrived at 11am (as one bus went straight past as was already full), but couldn't find one bed or chair that was free. It was shoulder to shoulder in the lazy river so we decided it was too hot to keep wandering round so we left. As we were going out the main entrance, the lady said 'thanks for visiting'. It was a joke how many people they had let in and there were so many more people being let in as we were leaving. We have been before and enjoyed it but this was a waste of time. Apart from it not being completely safe, you couldn't have enjoyed it being so busy.

We attended the H2O Glow party at typhoon lagoon. The hours are officially 8-11, but you can begin entering the park at 6 with party ticket.
This was my favorite visit to the park EVER. Crowds were low, temperature was bearable, only had to apply sunscreen once...
There are lots of pool activities near the wave pool, toy story characters are out for meet and greets, and there are almost not lines for the slides.

A brilliant day had by all. Free parking and they allow you to take in a small cooler for picnics. Brilliantly friendly staff and amazing wave pool! A great break from some of the other overcrowded parks. Highly recommended

Arrive early to get a place with some shade! The lazy river is great, could have stayed in there all day- they are inflated chairs that are easy to slide on for any size. The wave pool is so fun the kids loved it, just make sure you donāt go too far out- the wave is very wrong.

This is the best waterpark ever I mean it's the best for tweens such a nice wave pool. You will be tired. Best food you get to meet lilo and Stich.

Go after 2 or 3 not so crowded no lines tons of fun. You can bring a ice chest save dollars bring your own food and drink. We Uber it so on/off at front. But do dry out or change for Uber

We picked our first time at Typhoon Lagoon to be during their special summer night time event, H2O Glow Party. It was such an awesome night at a relaxed water park. My family loves the raft slides and the wave pool the best. The food was pretty good and not too expensive. The H2O party is Toy Story themed with a DJ and games. If you want to beat the Florida summer heat, this is a great choice!

Typhoon Lagoon never fails to impress me as a water park. It's the best one I've been to. I always recommend going right when it opens if you can to avoid the crowds that can build up on summer days. Crush n Gusher is my favorite ride by far, but all of the slides are very fun and the wave pool is impressive. I also really like how many different areas there are with chairs to lay out or hang out. You don't have to set up right by the main pool. There are a bunch of little spots along the way, some more quiet than others. We love Typhoon Lagoon and will always try to go when we make a trip to Disney!

We are in town for a softball tournament, so we didnāt have a lot of free time. We are staying near Sea World and were considering Aquatica, but bad reviews steered me away. We love Disney and usually visit once a year, but have never been to one of their water parks. Trip Reviews were favorable, so off we went.
We arrived right at 9:30 for a 10am opening. We got rock star parking right in front and it was FREE. Aquatica charges $25.
I purchased tickets online and picked them up at the box office simply by showing the card I paid with.
We were let in and held behind a rope until 10. Hubby rented a small locker for our phones and wallet.
Once we were let into the park, we quickly found 2 loungers in the shade. Ditched our stuff and applied sunscreen. I also want to mention that Disney allows ice chests and food. We had a small ice chest, but I did see some people pulling larger ones with wheels. This was much appreciated, it was so hot and we needed cold beverages! I also had a small assortment of snacks.
There were also plenty of loungers, thought not always in the shade. I considered renting an umbrella and Iām glad we didnāt spend the extra money. It wasnāt necessary. There was plenty of shade in the park. Tons of dining areas under roof.
We headed straight to the Crush N Gusher. It was a blast. No wait. Barely any waits all day. And even when it said 15 minutes, we felt like it was shorter.
We spent the first hour running from ride to ride, thinking the park would get significantly more crowded as the day went on.
We took little breaks for snacks and drinks. Purchased a couple of overpriced strawberry lemonades at $6 each and had a churro. Typical Disney snacks.
We also loved the wave pool. It was huge. The wave it puts out is very intense. The closer you are the more intense it is. I broke my sunglasses. š
We also spent a lot of time in the lazy river. It was long and shaded. I had seen a comment from someone on here about dead leaves in the lazy river. This is true, however it is because the lazy river is surrounded by landscaping that gives awesome shade. There were CMs constantly cleaning it out. It was a non-issue. We really enjoyed our time there.
By 4:00 the sun had moved and our shady spots were now in the sun. We were exhausted and called it a day.
My tips:
arrive at opening to score a shaded lounger
Bring lots of sunscreen and apply ode to
Bring an ice chest with drinks and snacks.
Water shoes! The bottoms of our feet were hurting by the end of the day. The pavement was hot and there were lots of different types of surfaces to prevent slipping. Water shoes would have been awesome to have.
This is an awesome water park and Iām so glad we went. Lived up to the standards Iāve come to expect from Disney. The lifeguards were also plentiful and on point. I love that Disney takes safety so seriously.
And for those wondering, there was a large tour group there as well. It was HUGE. I think from Brazil. We did not have a single problem with any of them. Iāve read complaints about them in the parks but I didnāt find that at all. No issues with rudeness or anything!

Overall, we were quite disappointed with Typhoon Lagoon. We go primarily for the slides, we don't eat at the parks as they are always horrendously expensive and poor quality. Looking at other guests food, Typhoon would have been no different, but we didn't experience it ourselves.
PROS
Presentation was good, as Disney knows how to do that well. The wave pool was also very good. Big,singular wave that was possible to body surf when the pool was quiet.
Cons
Lack of signage. Very hard to find the various attractions.
Lazy River, this was Very lazy and supposed to be for relaxing, except it wasnt as you were permanently crammed up against other people.
All the slides were very underwhelming, and we didn't ride any twice. There were no 'showstoppers' and some of the better rides were so short it just wasn't worth the effort.
Save your time and money and go to Aquatica or Volcano Bay.

Spent most of a day here with a 10 year old. We rope dropped to get a shady spot, which we got no bother.
She had a blast in the wave pool, we rode the lazy river twixw and she went down a couple of small slides.
All in all she had a great day. The waves knocked her over a few times and she got a few grazes but she was delighted in the waves.
The sun is intense so keep reapplying that sunblock.
The food was OK. We got hotdogs, crisps and drinks. 2 meals for 30 dollars. Pricy, but was expected.
All in all we had a great day.

We loved the wave pool and lazy river. Lovely place, lockers could do to be a bit bigger but was a lovely day.

Easy access to this park via Disney Springs bus transportation.
Well set out with a lazy river circulating and various water sprays as well as a water fall on the course.
Lagoon pool has a massive wave machine as well as a sequence of smaller waves. Care needs to be taken as concrete ground can result in a few scrapes. There are flumes for all ages although we didn't try these out due to limited time.
Not a lot of shade and walkways can get extremely hot so make sure you are prepared.
Lockers for hire are expensive, and towels can be hired too.
All in all we enjoyed a 3 hour visit but equally could have been there for 5.

Typhoon Lagoon is a great park. Parking is free and everything is clean. Great slides: Adventure Falls, Crush n gusher, Gangplank Falls and Mayday Falls.

We had a nice day at the park - free entry was included in our 14 day disney ticket.
The wave pool is amazing - not for the faint hearted! Wasnāt expecting the strength of the tidal waves and was knocked flat by the first wave! That was enough for me but my hubby and 9 year old son absolutely loved it!
Food choices arenāt great and there isnāt much shade when eating but the rides we did were fun and we could shower and change at the end without too much hassle.
Worth a visit if you have the time.

Great place to go and relax away from the walking parks
The lazy river is just great and the wave machine is very powerful - I was only by the edge but felt itās force
Highly recommend

Not much to say, apart from this place is amazing!!! The lines arenāt too long and the whole place is enjoyable for everyone involved

My family and I went here on a 11 day trip to Florida_ Disney World. As Marriott owners we traded into Disney's Animal Kingdom and received a free day at typhoon Lagoon. We had such a great time here from the lazy river to the wave pool, which is the best I have ever been in. It.was a water soaked delight on a day when it was over 100 degrees. Kids are totally in love with this place, and we will for sure be back!

Loved it here and they have some really good slides.
What sets this water park aside from the rest is the wave pool. It is unreal but also seems a little dangerous in my opinion - people flying everywhere! I am not sure how many heads have been cracked in here before now!
The pineapples and coconuts ride is EXCELLENT fun.
A great experience and would definitely return.

Such a fun place. We booked a cabana which felt like an extravagance but was worth every penny. We had a lovely host called Sophia who was so sweet and helpful and made our day run smoothly! It was so great we chose to do it again on our last day and made a point of asking for Sophia again!

Arrived very early, got ourselves an area partially in the shade. It was very clean. Staff were very helpful. We hired a locker which was $10. Overall we had a lovely day only negative is you can either buy a sunshade for $65 or hire one for $99.

Love this water park. Great wave pool and the slides are fun also. Has pretty good selection of food choices versus what used to be available here.

We are regulars to Orlando & the parks in particular. For my boyfriends 30th birthday he received a voucher for a surf lesson at Typhoon Lagoon before the park opened to the public. This was amazing, we were at the park at 5.45am and the sunrise was beautiful. The park put on a continental breakfast for us and there only 4 of them surfing so it was a dream for him. We stayed in the park for the day after the lesson and it was amazing. So clean, everyone friendly, the rides were awesome and we rode everything a number of times. Food is always delicious and fresh. Then we went for a walk up to Miss Tilly (the boat at the top/back of the park that was put there by the "Typhoon". He then proposed to me in this secluded spot overlooking the whole park and it was just perfect. Great for families, great for couples just great for everyone. Go go go!!

Our first trip back in years and it was as good as I remember. Great fun rides, all operated by friendly helpful staff. What stands out for me is the park is spotlessly clean. I notice there weren't many shaded areas or umbrellas and they've stopped selling photos of you on the rides, which is a shame. We will return.

The place was clean and the lines were reasonable but after visiting Universal's Volcano Bay there was no comparison. Volcano Bay is the nicest cleanest funnest water park I've ever visited.

The event was advertised with enticing perks, including free drinks, ice cream, popcorn, and the promise of "walk-on" rides due to limited ticket availability. On paper, this seemed like the perfect evening out. Unfortunately, the execution was far from perfect.
Snacks were disappointingly hard to come by. With only one station providing the promised free ice cream and popcorn, located inconveniently across the park, acquiring these treats became a task.
The After Hours event was a disappointment, failing to live up to its enticing advertisement. It was marked by operational inefficiencies, unfulfilled promises, and unimpressive service. In the future, I would appreciate more transparency, better organization, and a higher level of customer service to match the price tag and to provide a truly memorable night.

I love this water park. The slides are just my kind of thing, fun without being too scary. The wave pool is fun too. Thereās was a great selection of eateries and the food was very tasty. I had a very relaxing day here. The park is kept very clean. I will return here.

We absolutely loved this Disney Park and it was the only one that we returned to for a second day of fun, whilst on our holiday. The queues for the rides seemed a fair wait for the experience. Wow, i have never seen a wave machine quite like the one here. Lots of food options which catered for all our needs. Would recommend!

Our family loves the wave pool and the lazy river. The rest of the attractions are not up to snuff, If you are looking for cool slides and rides, this is not you place. The water rides are 1980's style with boring features and nothing exciting other than skinned up elbows and a sore back. If you like wave pools, thaen this is your spot. The free parking and the refillable cup are great values, The lazy river is fun, a bit over-crowded, but still fun. The wave pool is the best we've been to, and is worth the price of admission. The fish and chips is also great at the snack area.

My family and I really had a wonderful time at this park. Itās definitely one of the better water park in Disney. The Glow night experience was the topping on the night. The wave pool is very realistic. Been able to park for free was definitely an added bonus.

Only went for H20 GLOW. Great experience but ending sucked. Only a few disney buses that only head to Disney Springs and not to Disney resorts. Had to use a Lyft. Bad bad bad. Next time I'll just drive myself

After visiting Volcano Bay which is less than two years old, Typhoon Lagoon is starting to look and feel old. No new rides for many years, rides are very boring and give no thrills. Lazy river is nothing special and dosent really stand out other than itās wave pool which gets boring quick. Give this a miss and go to Valcano Bay.

We had booked a cabana, so got to settle in before the park open properly. Our host was amazing and couldnāt do enough for us. We had an amazing time in the water and on the slides, miss adventure falls being our favourite.

We had a truly magical time . Our children were 8 and 6 . Great fun place with great staff ,slides to suit all ages. Don't forget your own towels!

What a great place to cook off! Typhoon Lagoon has the best and strongest wave pool Iāve ever experienced. And the wave pool is a really long one! Thereās a family tube ride thatās great funānot too wild, not too tameājust right. The kids loved the water slides, too. Lockers are available for your belongings. Lock up your cell phoneāyouāll be having so much fun, you wonāt need it!

Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited here for a half day during our two weeks holiday in October.
We stayed at the Art of Animation resort so took a bus to Disney Springs and changed to a bus for the water park - real easy.
The park is welcoming with shower and locker facilities at the entrance. We picked a sun bed and chairs to the left of the entrance so we were close to the big wave pool. Arriving at around 10:30, there were some sun beds left but mostly taken. There's loads of chairs though.
As we were resort guests, we were provided with towels from the shop on arrival.
The wave pool is amazing and our kids enjoyed splashing on the waves. For the strongest waves, they put on the jackets to help them float which were provided around the park and in different sizes.
The water slides were split into group rides (a number of you sharing a rubber ring) and individual ones. We didn't go on the most extreme ones but all the ones we went on were good fun. The lazy river was a big hit even if you have to wade around waiting for some floats to become available.
There is a splash area for younger kids but we didn't go there as our kids are older now.
We felt the park was safe with plenty of staff and lifeguards around. We didn't try the food outlets as we brought a packed lunch and were only there for a half day.
A worthwhile visit to break up the holiday. Enjoy!

As a family of 5, 2 adults , 2 teens and one child ( with additional needs) , we all LOVED this park , it has something for everyone, we did volcano bay earlier in our trip and Typhoon lacoon is just so much nicer from helpful staff, facilities ( lockers, showers, changing rooms) so much so we did this park twice , we brought our own snacks/fruit into the park which was great, we arrived 11am and were able to get 5 sunloungers no problem. We brought our own refillable bottles and got fresh iced cold water throughout the day. We had lunch there, its basic hotdogs, or fries & sandwiches. The slides there are brilliant, the teens love the crusher and gusher, and theres one the entire family went on can't remember what it was called. There was a small shallow pool opposite the c&g slide, and i stayed there whilst the teens were on the bigger slides, theres no waves in this pool. In the wave pool , the waves are big and fast, but theres little walls where we could sit and watch the rest of the family in the water , it was perfect. Safety wise , this place is fantastic, the lazy river is endless & staff watching everyone so very safe. Free life vests for non swimers as well. The large lockers are 15$, and its cash or physical card( not tap pay) overall this water park is a must visit. We were reluctant to go after being in the universal one, but its definitely waay better than valcano Bay.

Ok letās start with a positive - free parking, yes folks you will pay $25 at the theme parks. The day was very sunny so decided to hire a sun brolley and sun lounger, did take forever to get served and there was only 1 family in front of us. Then the shock $84.50, to which I replied āI only wish to rent the brolley, not buy oneā, yes folks that is what it costs. My tip is get there for opening and you would have a chance of not being robbed as there are some free brolleys scattered around the park. The actual park itself is a great day of fun with plenty of water rides to keep you occupied. Enjoyed so much we went a second time and this time got a free brolley. Sorry Disney but yet again you feel over charging is acceptable, 1 star lost.

We have done the Disney parks multiple times, but this was the first time at their water park. It was amazing time. While we typically do Volcano Bay, this was not as high intensity as Volcano Bay. It was very kid friendly, but still thrilling even for the teenagers. The wave pool send out giant waves every 90 seconds and I am not lying when I say GIANT! It will knock you over. Never waited more than 15 minutes on a Saturday in July. We did ārope dropā and rode everything in the park by 1 pm including the wave pool and lazy river a few times.

We went here two times during our stay, it is by far our favourite water park in Florida. If you only have time to do one I would recommend this one

Booked for Surf School at TL. 6.45 am start. Really well organized by Disney. Excellent standard of teaching by the Instructor. Light breakfast. Then able to choose sun loungers and once taken back at 10 am to gain entry to Park, stayed for the day. Had loads of goes on good rides before it got very busy.............Very clean, parking free and easy, not like Volcano Bay and very friendly. Thank You !!

We've been before but now that we've experienced volcano Bay and discovery cove it pales by comparison. Food expensive drinks expensive shop expensive far too many people quite disappointed actually it's gone down hill

In true water park form this one didnāt disappoint at all, queues werenāt too big, plenty to do, wave pool was incredible, and family were happy! Staff very friendly and amenities better than Mose Disney parks, lockers available and changing areas, lazy river is a nice way to relax, and park is very clean

This was our first visit and we had a great time. The water wasnāt cold and felt good in the sun. We enjoyed the wave pool, largest we had seen. We enjoyed the slides both big and small as well. Complimentary towels were great!

This is the more family orientated out of the two water parks at Disney. Great set up, something for everyone and a cracking way for the kids to burn off their energy.

A great place to spend an entire day. There are areas to relax in between rides although not much shade so take plenty of sunscreen with you. The drink and food outlets are good enough, the restrooms were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was a wonderful place to spend the day. More family friendly than Volcano bay, but the rides might be a little tamer as a result. The entire park is a lovely place to be

Typhoon Lagoon is one of two water parks at Walt Disney World. As far as family fun in the water goes, itās hard to beat Typhoon Lagoon. A massive wave pool is the featured attraction here, but the park also has a wide range of fun water slides for just about any age. Misadventure Falls is a personal favourite. Food and drink options are good here as well and there are lockers on site (digital code paid lockers) to store your valuables).

Typhoon Lagoon has some fun attractions. My boys are aged 9 and 14. Our favorite attraction was the Crusher Gusher slides and the Humunga Cowabunga slides since these were the most thrilling. Also, when the wave pool was producing large single waves they liked it. The place was not busy at all because rain was expected. We had zero waiting and it was amazing. It was December 28th. We enjoyed the theme and all the Disney extras, especially Dole Whip waffle cones!

This for me is probably the greatest water park I have ever been to. Great theming, great slides, good food options, and of course the amazing wave machine. We were here out of season -and there were next to no queues.
We last came just after COVID and there were no character meets - but this time you could meet Mickey and Minnie on the beach. You can wait an hour to see those two in the parks - but the queues here were 10 seconds to meet them.
Amazing day out.

We head to Orlando two or three times a year, and Typhoon Lagoon is the only attraction we never miss (unless it closed). Iām not sure how other water parks stay in business when the Typhoon Lagoon monster wave is unparalleled, but we appreciate that they do so our favorite park never feels oversold. This year we discovered a fabulous option. Our family of five from 68 to 8 reserved two Getaway Glen umbrellas so we had plenty of shade, ample chair space, sand castle space, and even 10 yards or so to toss a football on a really hot day. At $70 a pop, the umbrellas are much cheaper than the cabanas but they do not have food service and WELL worth it on a hot day. However, being just a few yards from food, ice cream, beers, and bathrooms worked well for us. It is also right at a lazy river access and just across a bridge from the wave pool. Nothing beats the wave pool, and while we have been going to typhoon lagoon for 20 years, it never gets old. In fact, it is so much fun that our 15 year old grandson didnāt even look at his phone all day! As for the rides, the family raft ride and coasters are the worth whatever wait ā generally less than 15 minutes. Keelhaul and Mayday are more old school but serviceable after a pleasant lazy river excursion.

My family enjoyed a lovely visit with slides, rafts and a lazy river for all ages. The clear plastic chair seats are a pleasure to ride around the gentle flowing stream. The thunderstorm at 3-30pm didnāt stop us thinking we had a great time!

The wave pool is the main feature at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park there are water rides which are ok - and there is a lot of sand!

Hard to find a seat if you aren't there when it opens but there's fun rides unique characters and great food and drink. The tidal wave in my opinion is quite aggressive if you aren't a good swimmer don't go too far out, plenty of lifeguards but it's still a scary encounter

My daugher, wife, son, myself were let into the park at 0930. However, my wife and daughter waited where they hold you up before entering the actual park. It was in the hot sun in June and there wan't really any place to get out of the sun and still wait in line. My daughter threw up, we believe because of the wait to get into the actual park area, so my daughter didn't really have the good time she should have. Not to mention the towel full of throw up to hold the rest of the day. I do fault the park entry process for this. Yes, there is such a thing as providing a shaded area if you are going to essentially "hold" people in a certain area before allowing them to enter. True, you can go to the shade if you want to lose your place in line. It is good to get there early so you can get a shady chair\area for "the whole day." If you come late you could end up sitting in the sun all day. You can of course pay for an upgraded area, private area, and larger expense. Good eating experience at Lowtide Lou's one of the restaurants there. Had the tuna and chicken sandwiches. The pretzel was not good though. But, since the sandwiches were so good we didn't get hurt by a somewhat old pretzel. The Park was great, except for the entry process. I'd say my 8 year old son had more fun than my 12 year old daughter but I'm not sure how fun it might have been for my daughter because she got sick at the entrance of the park.

H2O glow party - absolute waste of money!
We purchased these tickets as we thought it would be a special experience as a family and give us a chance to go on the rides in a quieter environment than in the day, unfortunately, this was not the case.
The evening was extremely busy and at times, we were queuing for 30-40 minutes for some rides. The drinks machines always had queues and one of them had run out of flavours by the time we got to the front. We also went to take advantage of the Mickey icecreams, but these were very soft to the point of being melted.
For the price we paid, I am very disappointed. We visited Typhoon Lagoon during the day the following week, the queues were much quieter so we actually got on more rides.
Evidently we paid £276 for melted icecream, a light up necklace and longer queues than the daytime.
I raised this with Disney, they told me to go back to Attraction Tickets. I then contacted Attraction Tickets who said I needed to contact Disney. Nobody wants to take any responsibility!
My advice to anyone looking to book this event would be not to and just go during the day instead.

This is normally my favorite water park. Unfortunately, the park was super packed both days we visited. Blizzard Beach was closed for refurbishment. The lazy river was closed on our first visit, some kid pooped in it. The second visit, you couldnāt move in the lazy river, so many people jammed together. The wave pool, can be very rough and it was more like waves of people. I had someone slam into me when I was trying to get out. Majority of the ppl we came into contact with, were very rude. I noticed that at all the parks this visit. While waiting to ride Miss Adventures Falls, the trashy parents in front of us let their kid pee in the pool. You wait in the water for a tube to take you to the top. The father thought he was real slick, using his foot to move the water where the urine was. If your child has to use the bathroom, GET OUT OF LINE & TAKE THEM!!!!!!!!! Disgusting! Way too many people, not a pleasant visit either time!

Visited July 15 2019.
My daughter and I had great day.
Arrived by 11 and left right before rain at 4:00. Lines range from 5-15 min. No big deal!
We finished all rides and got to swim in lazy river for over an hour. Relaxing!
Worth the $69.

Others may be more high tech, but this one remains the best. The wave machine is simply the most marvellous one ever. Crusher gusher, a launch raft ride, really exciting yet smooth. The older raft rides at the back are still fun, but we are in our sixties and found pushing the huge raft up the steps quite hard. Queues are not nearly so long as other water parks, and the tropical decor is amazing.

Wow. We were a family of 4 from the UK so spent a fair few dollars getting in. There was very little shelter from the heat of the sun. There were thousands of peopleā¦you couldnāt get away from them! 45 minute queues for slides one of which has been there since my husband visited in the 90s. Just walking to the toilet you had to break through the crowds. The lazy river was a sea of overweight humansā¦you couldnāt see the water!
No drinking fountains that I could see. My 12 year old couldnāt wait to get the hell out! Would not recommend.

We attended the H2O Glow event here on a Saturday in July. It is an after-hours, extra charge event, but it is worth it! Lines for the rides were short, Toy Story characters were around for meet & greets, the weather was great since the blazing sun had set. Music and special rafts in the lazy river added to the excitement. The price was $59 for adults and $54 for kids, and we would pay it again. Just getting to ride everything we wanted without standing in long lines was worth the cost!

We were here 3 times over the course of our 2 week vacation, and rented a Beachcomber Shack each time, and felt it was well worth the splurge each time. Our cabana attendants, Mary Lou and Bre were great, super friendly and very efficient. It was a great retreat away from the crowd to relax between water activities. Included is a nice shaded seating area, a secure storage locker, a cooler with bottled water, and all the towels you could possibly need. For lunch, the jerk chicken rice bowl from Leaning Palms was excellent. The wave pool is a ton of fun and intense, so be prepared. Our favorite slides were the Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster, and Miss Adventure Falls, a family raft ride.

Excellent facilities, wide range of attractions, clean. Plenty of places to refill your water bottles. Could do with some more shaded areas though.

Unfortunately many of the rides were loses on the day we visited. It was very wuiet which was good but the lack of rides mean that we left at lunch time. Disappointed

We are grandparents who went with a young adult grandson: we all thought it was a fun day. Free parking. Lockers for all-day rental at a fair price of $10 or $15 depending on the size. One can bring their own towels and food or rent and buy. We found shaded areas without too much difficulty. Sunscreen is a must, water shoes a smart choice due to the hot pavement. Their are free showering areas available.
The rides are super fun and just diverse enough to be interesting and enjoyable. We only encountered one ride with 45 minute wait; otherwise on July 4th weekend the wait was more like 15-30 minutes. Arrive prior to 10 am opening to maximize the enjoyment as the park can get crowded later in the day. The Lazy River meanders along and is relaxing. Doubt the power of water? Just try to stand up to the Wave Pool! The Wave Pool generates an 8ā wave every few minutes and after awhile a sound blows to alert that the wave changes to smaller rolling wavesāstill powerful and enjoyable.

Had an amazing day here doing all the rides..... my granddaughter summed it up saying "Wave machines anywhere else will seem boring after this!"
A great day for all the family with plenty of sunbeams, towels if you are staying in a Disney resort, lots of eateries ( fast food) and fun water rides.
We loved it.

What a great day arrived at 10 great parking and and straight into the park. Purchased 2 refill drink cups which was worth it found some beds around by the wave pool and a drinks machine. We have 3 kids 12-8-4 and they all loved the wave pool. We went on the rides and our youngest loved the tube rides he was loving life. Alex the attendant on the tube ride was really good with him and to see his little face coming down the ride was priceless.
We got some food in the afternoon land and see which was 2 fish bites and 2 chicken strips and chips. They was good valve and helped the kids to have more fun.
We left around 3pm and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Weāre there in early June for an H2glo party and it was great fun. Just a blast in every way from the Toy Story characters to all the rides in the dark.
I almost passed out from getting dragged from ride to ride to ride and carrying tubes and rafts up the stairs all night with our 8 year old šš»š..

We went on a Saturday over spring break so I knew it was going to be busy when I called for a cabana ahead of time & they were sold out.. We got there early to get our chairs with shade & spent the ENTIRE day here. My kids LOVED the wave pool (it was definitely crazy but they loved it) they did every water slide! So much fun. We had lunch here & got a refillable mug. Also grabbed snacks (hei hei cone & mickey pretzels). It was clean and organized here. We will definitely come back again!

all in all we all had a great time. grounds were kept up and everything ran well. lots to do here. lines were not bad at all, that would have ruined the day. only wish there was more shade. parking was free, always a plus.

Completely overrun with crowds and absolutely no shade anywhere. probably Would have been a cool place but thereās no way to really see it with the crowds. Would not recommend but we had a

We went to the H20 evening at Typhoon Lagoon. It was so much fun. The crowds are much less than during the day. The lines for the water slides were much shorter. The wave pool was warm, the pavement was not hot, and the snacks of Mickey ice cream was ideal. Since evenings in Central Florida are so warm, it was very comfortable going around in a swimsuit. We can't wait to go back next year.

Had a cracking day at TL, although Bizzard beach is our favourite ... A few people rave on here about the expensive Cabanas , but we are glad we didnāt get one as all our time was spent on the rides, in the great surf pool or on the lazy river ... Good fun !!!

Only spent a couple of hours here. We did most if not all of the two-person or more rides (I don't like doing water slides by myself) and we also did the wave pool and the lazy river. I loved bobbing on the wave pool but my favourite thing was floating along the lazy river. It was so relaxing! Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but really enjoyed our quick trip.

We went on our check in day for free and had a great time. My kids were impressed with how clean everything was and the wave pool.

We had a great time! The park is dated and you have to carry your tubes to the top of the slides (with 5 kids, 3 of which are 7 and under), this is tough since I had to carry 4 tubes. The park is priced higher than other water parks across the country, but it was still fun for everyone.

Typhoon Lagoon was so much fun! The lazy river was the best and my daughter and husband enjoyed the thrill rides, including the Typhoon Lagoon itself. It was very hot there but plenty of places to cool off. I donāt have pics to share unfortunately, because unless you have a waterproof pack for your phone, itās best to store it in the lockers provided at the front. Many talked about taking your own towels. At $2 a rental, I didnāt think traveling with a towel was necessary, but itās a choice for sure. Also Iād previously read complaints about the way some guests were dressed and ruining the family-type atmosphere by doing so. I totally disagree. Yes there were some thongs but so what! I just explained to my 10 year old that some people dress that way and we donāt. Simple. Certainly not worth ruining a fun day out. Disney still had their game tight and if you are considering it, go. You will enjoy!

This has something for everyone and usually not too much queueing.
I would recommend an umbrella and chairs in the quiet Getaway Glen. $74 for umbrella, 2 x loungers, 2 x chairs, a table and 4 x towels. Itās not cheap but worth a guaranteed spot in the shade. Go for 9- 17 for shade and no disturbance. Cabanas for 6 are $330. Bigger space and a fridge but not much more for your $.
Avoid Storm Sliders as if you get stuck( stop as you come out of the water flow) the next person will be down within 20 seconds. They have no system to prevent or deal with this. And no one is interested when you try and report it. Scared to death of being sued I suspect! I escaped with a large bruise on my hip. Thankfully the other guy was ok.

Been coming here since 2000 great for couples, families kids teens everyone, fantastic wave pool, slides, sandy beaches with palm tree sheltered coves and hideaways, good food, great shop, changing room and showers, beach bars, lazy river with caves, and music playing throughout the park, very safe dozens of life guards at the pools and slides.

If you have the time, I highly recommend getting the addition to your multi-day pass to include waterparks, so you can pop in here whenever you like. I love the theming and the manageable size of this park. The vegetation is lush and my whole family likes the surfer/Beach Boys kind of vibe. The shipwreck theming is inventive and fun. It's definitely more fun for me now that my kids are teens and I don't have to hold their hands the entire time :)

Always go here each year with my family and young children they love it for little ones this one's the best over blizzard beach that's for sure and it's a must do when in Disney the only thing I will say is take some snacks to feed up on through the day as the avavarge food prices are very pricey for a family that's for sure and you can make better by yourself a quick visit to publix or a walmart your be on your way to a brilliant fun filled relaxed day

We had an amazing day at Typhoon Lagoon yesterday! Aaron, Jenna, Sarah and all the employees are incredibly helpful! We stayed from opening to close and loved the wave pool, Crush n Gusher, and one of their beautiful cabanas! The place had plenty to do and yet we felt relaxed at the end of the day. We soaked up some āļø, ate some of their pizza (which was only $14 that fed 3+ tweens/teens) and canāt wait to go back! Great deal!

The best thing here are the Warm Doughnut Cart, Wooowwww!!!...The attractions are just ok kinda' boring after a few rides...The Lazy River is nice and the Wave Pool is fun...but, the snacks are worth the Trip...Would not Visit more then maybe once a year at most...We actually went During H2O and it looked cooler on YouTube than in person...ijs...

Amazing water park! Perfect for a full family day out! Absolute love the big wave pool itās such good fun! Great water rides throughout and all round great atmosphere. Plenty of sun to be had here but plenty of shade if thatās not for you! Plenty of loungers for all, gets really busy when you get the most stunning days but not bad at all other than that Iām my opinion. Great day out if you donāt fancy he hustle and bustle of the parks and want to cool down in some water.

The trip was fab and we took loads of photos of us all.The slides where great.Humanga Kalabunga was one of my faves and is great for thrill speakers.

The first day we went to Typhoon Lagoon for the H2O glow party it was storming pretty heavily. We went to the front gates and they gave us the option of a refund or to move it to the following Saturday. Fortunately for us we were in Florida for 10 days so we would still be in town. We returned the following Saturday and had such an awesome time. We met all the characters first before getting wet and enjoyed every slide multiple times with no wait at all. The slides are so much fun in the dark. Totally worth the price.

Have spent the last 2 days at Typhoon Lagoon and have generally had a good time. This is one of the 2 Disney water parks which have a general similarity to each other but with a few twists. Typhoon Lagoon in my opinion is slightly more family oriented with Blizzard Beach has some better āadultā rides.
We arrived just after 10 (itās opening time) with already the car park quite full. Unlike the main Disney parks the parking is free. The ticket price is also pretty reasonable and the annual pass is great value as long as you plan to use it for 3 days plus in the year.
Towels and lockers are available to hire (we paid $10 for a small locker - which you can buy with cash or a card and then assign a PIN to it allowing you to go in and out of it all day).
The park is built around the massive central surf pool which could entertain you for most of the day alone! It goes through cycles where the giant wave comes through every few minutes to a more sedate constant waves to no waves at all. There are life vests available for young children as they are easily knock d over with the waves.
Around this central pool there are lots of rides, childrenās play areas and places to eat and drink. The rides are overall reasonably sedate although the ups and downs in the Crush and Gusher rides are quite a thrill. The family raft ride called Miss Adventure Falls is a great rise too but some of the other rides are a bit of a disappointment. Donāt bother with Mayday Falls as the ridges on the bottom of the ride make it very uncomfortable. I thought the other family raft ride Gangplank Falls was poor too - very short with an overall drop of only a few feet start to finish. Enjoyed a couple of laps of the lazy river too. Another thing to consider it that the walkways get very hot so in the afternoon you are struggling to walk round unless you have water shoes on.
Food was as you would imagine in a Disney park - mainly fast food with burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads etc. We ate at both Typhoon Lillyās and Leaning Palms and both were fine but nothing special. We bought an all you can drink refillable cup for the day which worked out as good value (if you bring it back you pay $8.50 to top it up for subsequent days - there is a chip in the bottom of the cup which engages with the dispensing machine so donāt think you can use this for more than one day without paying again!
With super weather we had a great couple of days at Typhoon Lagoon and will happily come back a umber of times with my annual pass. Personally I prefer Blizzard Beach but only just!

We just visited with 4 kids (11 and 8 years old) and they had a great time! There were no lines to speak of and a lot of great slides for the kids! The whole park felt safe and clean and the employees were friendly and cautious. The wave pool was also a lot of fun and so large it never felt crowded. The ice cream in the sand bucket is a must! Iād definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little different fun while spending some time at Disney!

Fantastic day, warm waters and frolicking in the wave pool, slides and lazy river. Big smiles kind of afternoon. Brought a picnic lunch, and did a lot of swimming and walking. Great family day!

We absolutely loved Typhoon Lagoon. The kids spent hours in the pool with the massive wave machine while me and my husband enjoyed floating round and round the lazy river. Thereās something for all ages here and wished we had another free day in our 7 day Disney stay to come back again.

This waterpark is ace! We rented the umbrellas which consisted of 3 loungers, 2 chairs and a table in a private area of the park. It was lovely to have a base to come back to. The pools are great, my children loved the big wave that comes every 90 seconds of so. The family raft rides are so much fun.

Always like visiting Typhoon lagoon. I was on the point of being out voted by the rest of my family who wanted to go to Blizzard beach luckily for me itās currently closed and despite driving past a man made volcano nobody had clocked Universalās latest water park. We all had a really great day at Typhoon lagoon and even a brief half hour shower in the afternoon didnāt dampen (I know) our enthusiasm. There is enough here whether you just want a relaxing chill out day or if you want the rush of a few rides itās also here. May be getting a bit dated in some peoples eyes but for me itās still number 1. Shame the price has risen so much over the years. $300 for a family of four just for entry is getting a little greedy imho

Thought was pretty fun. Wish had more time there but sadly weather common problem in Floridia. Loved the waves. Just be careful about the large tidel waves since can be too much even for strong swimmers. Thankfully life guards helped save my best friends life.

The wave pool is good. The rest of the park, not so.
I found the slides to be extremely boring, short in duration, with long queues.
The biggest issue I had was the pathways were boiling hot and unlike Blizzard Beach, were not cooled down with sprinklers. Why?
We had come wearing trainers which we couldnāt exactly walk around in so we just had to scold our feet. Completely ruined the day.
Blizzard beach is superior in every way. A nicer vibe, lovely surroundings, better kids area, better slides, friendlier staff and dampened pathways.

Very overdue review of this amazing waterpark! We took our family to TL on Halloween and to our surprise, a lot of Halloween activities were going on! Pumpkin decorating, pumpkin judging contests, and trick or treating. The park is CLEAN. You could spend all day at the wave pool beach area. We did 2 laps around the relaxing lazy river and it took almost an hour. When your looking at the wave pool up, you cannot see any of the water slides. It really looks like a tropical island! Itās a very impressive design. We stayed mainly by the wave pool because they had a DJ playing music and thatās where the characters would come out. We had plenty of opportunities to meet Mickey and Donald all day. The food is decent and a lot of options as you walk around. We barely waited on any lines for waterslide. Canāt wait to return! ā¤ļø

We came as a family of 6, two grandchildren aged 4 & 6. Hired two umbrellas an chairs, gorgeous white sand for kids to play on. The lazy river is huge, loved it, just slowly going round. Life guards are very attentive. The tidal pool is exactly that, be prepared to be dumped by 6ft waves. The park is spotless, and food very good. We throughly enjoyed our day here.

This was the first waterpark we visited and my granddaughter and youngest daughter managed to get on every ride before we had to leave due to a tropical storm.
Can recommend the pina colorado slushy and the ice cream. we always took drinks and a packed lunch with us when out at the various theme parks. Get there early if you want a sun bed and be prepared for a long wait without any pool open if a storm hits, which it does most days.
Good way to unwind.

How can this experience be improved? Disney can train their staff regarding manners. On arrival at Typhoon Lagoon the lady (loose term) demanded āopen your boxā. My husband lifted the lid of our cooler to be barked at āunderneathā in reference to what was below our sandwiches and chips. There was noāplease, thankyou or have a nice dayā. What has happened to Disney staff?
My main gripe is Disneys greed however. They are operating a two tier system. Those who can afford the entry fee as opposed to those who pay extra to get nicer sun beds and umbrellas if you are prepared to pay more. Large swathes of the park have been handed over to the financially elite whilst the minions fry under the Florida skies.
Lastly, having been going to Disney for 30 years you see the decline. A lot of the fun water jets around the lazy river were off, the stranded boat on the mountain doesnāt spout water and the shark lagoon (which closed in 2016) has been replace with sand, sun beds and no imagination. Walt would be dismayed. Umbrellas would be appreciated for these cheap seats up the back!

We love water parks and have been to many all across the USA, from Texas to Mid West States and Disney competitors in Florida. Typhoon Lagoon is by far our favorite. It is a combination of the theme, Disney attention to service and detail, the variety and types of water rides and certain top line attractions like the Surf Pool and the Lazy River. There is adventure for those that crave the highest thrilling drops, the speed and fun of water coasters, family raft rides and the joyful play areas for the kids. We've also enjoyed the quieter side of things, like the secluded reserved areas and cabanas, eateries, snacks and even a bar. This year we tried the H2O Glow Nights Party and had a blast! We plan to make this a regular event for us, as being in the park after dark is a whole new exciting experience!

I wish I was there right now. Make sure to wear pool shoes as the cement can get hot. But the rides are worth the trip.

This is a water park that delivers ever time you visit. If we want to relax, have fun or a bit of both - love this park. Wave pool is out of this world, lazy river and water coaster shows how divers itās become. Will continue coming back year after year.

Really enjoyed the 2 days I spent here.
Crush N Gusher and miss adventure falls were good. Did find some of the other blow up ring rides a but timid.
The wave pool is great fun.
Overall an enjoyable day out, just be vary thunderstorms in the area close the the attractions so best to try and arrange the day around the weather.

Great day at typhoon lagoon! I would day it's mostly geared towards younger kids but a beautiful park. The lazy river is looong and fun. The wave pool is awesome. The slides for older kids are fun too. My 5 yr old went on the tube ride in the kiddie area over and over again. We arrives before 10 which was great because we got seats and there were no lines. A storm came in around 2;45 but we felt we got our money's worth.

We had such a great day here! The slides were brilliant, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Also good value for a Disney park. Weāll be back.

As a child I visited Orlando quite a bit in the late 80's and throughout the 90's, and one of my favorite places to visit was Wet 'n Wild, which is sadly gone now, and for my last visit Typhoon Lagoon and Blizard Beach had just opened, but we had never visited them.
After 3 solid days of theme parks, I was looking forward to a drip to a water park, where I planned to do nothing all day but spend time on the lazy river......
Being honest, I preferred Blizzard Beach more, but I found that all the water parks in Orlando each have their own charm that makes one stand out over the other, and with Typhoon Lagoon it is the wave machine, which borders on Tsunami levels!
One my kids saw that, there was no getting them out the water, and my hopes for a relaxing day were gone, as you spend most the day getting hit at point blank range from a wall of water and dragged 2-3m from where you were initially positioned.
This is probably the park where you will have to watch the kids like hawks the most.
The rides here do have their charm, with the Crusher and Gusher really good.
All in all very much worth checking out this park when you fancy a day away from the the theme parks, but if looking for a lot more chilled day, maybe stick to Blizzard Beach.

We had a wonderful time here: maybe our best experience of the trip. We had a cabana. It was $350 put come with free drinks all day and the ability to order less expensive family style meals, so with 6 people it almost paid for itself. The service wasnāt great. We never saw our attendant unless we called and even then it took a while, which is very different than the service at Volcano Bay, which was wonderful. Without the cabana though shady seating is hard to find. If you get there right at 9:50 you can ride 3-4 rides before the lines get long. Some of the rides were closed. Others had bit patches of peeling paint, so the park could really use some updates.

We are a large party of 8 with wide age ranges.
We arrived approx an hour after opening, the park was already very busy and we had to search for quite a while to find chairs that were free.
Plenty of life jackets for the children and visible lifeguards around the park.
Food choice good with small queues and reasonable prices

What's to say fun fun fun. The kids loved it old and young, non stop all day, I loved the lazy river whilst the most adventurous in the group did the others. Managed to get a few rays and some food. You can do as much or as little as you want

I was all ready prepared to wait big lines due to it being a Saturday. I never expected the longest line in the park to just be 15 minutes. The wave pool is great and the life gaurds are always on duty. They have a great variety of rides. After you leave the park just be prepared to smell like bleach. Overall, this is a great park to get soaked. PERIODT

What a disappointment! Most after hours events donāt disappoint but this one was a BIG let down.
As we walked in, we were greeted with puke at the first major area where you are making decisions on which way to goā¦grossā¦that was at 7pmā¦it was still there when we left at 10:30pm and it wasnāt because no one knew.
The after hours perks: free drinks, free ice cream, free popcorn, āwalk onā rides because the ticket is limited. The reality: free drinks - well sadly only one machine was working for drinks and guess what ⦠no carbonation for the whole night. Again, this started before the after hours event and staff was notifiedā¦so no soda available for the night and if you wanted waterā¦.well the free bottled water we were promised was stand in the line to use the water fountain. We paid for our Dasaniās - $3.50 a piece. Snacks - ice cream and popcorn - located at a single location across the parkā¦.and after you wait in the 20 min lineā¦yeah, not worth it.
Letās talk about peopleā¦.after hours events are supposed to be limited - exclusive if you will. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY this event was limited. Rides were taking 60+ mins to ride 1ā¦that means too many people were sold tickets which means it no longer is exclusive and the rides arenāt āwalk on.ā It also means the park is dirty, there is wet popcorn everywhere, cups everywhereā¦it wasnāt a Disney experience.
This park was disappointing and honestly, Iām surprised that they still maintain the attendance they do with other parks like Volcano Bay that is in the area and 100x better then what Typhoon Lagoon has to offer.
Skip this park and check out another Disney After Hours event or Volcano Bay!

We had a good day out at typhoon lagoon, it was the first of the 3 water parks we visited because Iād been telling my wife and our son about the waves for years. Itās one of the main things I remembered from my trips to Florida as a teenager. It didnāt disappoint, I think the unbelievably huge waves in the pool are the USP for TL and the family agreed.
The 3 of us loved humunga kowabunga. This slide is like being rocketed through a car wash, itās certainly one to make sure you close your mouth on. By the time you shoot out of the end you are left wondering what just happened. Brilliant.
The other two highlights are crush ānā gusher and mayday falls. Crush n gusher is a water coaster for 1 or 2 people with uphills and propulsion pads and mayday falls is a single seater raft ride. Mayday is quite a long ride with a good mix of elements on the way down.
The other slides are less intense and pretty much suitable for anyone who makes the height restriction. Thereās a good mix of intensity so everyone should be ok to find something they like.
This park for me is more aesthetically pleasing than blizzard beach and itās quite a bit bigger. Make sure you experience the 6 foot swells in the wave pool!

Great day out. Not much shade, but the lazy river and the main lagoon pool will occupy your time. Use F50. There are 3 tube routes round the edge and some slide options too. 9am until 5pm is enough.

My family and I loved it here. This was the first Disney Waterpark we had been to on our trip in Orlando. They have some fantastic slides.
The wave pool is great fun and is unlike no other. There is a wave every couple of minutes. They are pretty big and trust me they have some force. There were people all over the place. In my eyes, this could have been quite dangerous, so be careful.
The Crush 'n' Gusher slides are fantastic and are so much fun! We had a great experience here and would return in a heartbeat!
I definitely recommend this place!

Looked at the advice people have given and decided to wait until slightly later to go in. Was busy but eased as the time passed by. Went on everything we wanted and spent just under 4 hours there. Great selection of rides and a number of good places to eat. Decided this time to wear some beach shoes and it really made a difference. Also because of careful packing, managed to just use a small locker for the 4 of us. All really enjoyed our visit on a lovely warm day (and not too hot).

I am NOT a fan of swimming but wanted to get into the spirit of things while on our Disney holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to this water park and the kids loved it. Free parking. The complex is spotless. We were there in April and the queues for the rides weren't too bad at all. On our first visit when we went to get some towels we weren't charged for these even though we were staying off property. It is easy to rent a locker using the credit card kiosks. I would recommend getting there early to bag yourself some sun loungers and chairs. Favourite rides were probably the Crusher Gusher and Miss Adventure Falls. The only ride I didn't go on was the kamikaze style slide as that's not my cup of tea. We had really nice food from Leaning Palms which is good value with some tasty and healthy options. The changing and shower facilities are great if you are heading out to a park afterwards - shower gel provided in the showers. Plenty of mirrors and hairdryers.
I would also like to say how fantastic Disney cast members are. My 10 and 11 year old nephews managed to get lost because they got off at the wrong "stop" on the lazy river. They couldn't find us and had the sense to go to lost children. They were really well looked after with a drink, popcorn, towel and some colouring in. The security guards spotted straight away that my sister in law was stressed and looking for someone and they approached her to ask her name. If you are going to get lost...get lost at Disney! Thanks again.

We had a great day at the park. We rented a cabana. It was nice to have the shade, water, towels and locker. I was disappointed with the service. Every time you would ask for something the server would say, "We aren't allowed to do that." Therefore why provide the server. Only positive was we placed the order with her via text and it was brought out. They wouldn't help with refills. They couldn't help with supplying a band-aid. Disney shouldn't bill the cabana as coming with a server.

This was our second visit, and we love Typhoon Lagoon!
For us, the biggest attraction is the wave pool with its giant waves that come every 90 seconds. When the pool periodically switches over to make smaller, choppy waves, we take the lazy river to explore some of the rides. We haven't done them all yet, but our favorite is the Crush n' Gusher. We also tried the Storm Slides, but the ending hurt my back a little as I decelerated into the landing pool. It was perfectly safe -- I think I'm just getting old.
Speaking of safety -- lifeguards are EVERYWHERE, and they are very alert.

We got to TL before opening time, which was a great decision as it meant we could get a shady spot and get on the rides while it was still quiet. Loved the lazy river and the wave pool was huge and crazy waves which was great fun! Slides were a bit dated but still good, there was a thunderstorm at 3.30 which meant the park shut early and we got no refund as weād been in there since 10 which was a shame, but did not spoil the day!

Visited Typhoon Lagoon from 4pm -8pm on Thursday with our 3 boys (11-16) We'd been to Blizzard Beach in the morning. TL had no queues at this time, so we could go on as many rides as we liked. No 'thrill' rides as such, but lots of fun dinghy rides, lazy river, body slides and brilliant wave machine with huge waves. Lots of free life jackets were available for smaller children. Loads of sunbeds were available if we'd wanted one. The lockers at BB and TL are quite small (cost $12) but we just about stuffed everything in there. We wore flip flops and left them on a rock when we went on the slides. If you wanted to stay all day and take more stuff, you might need to hire more than one locker.

My family went to Disney H2O night party on Saturday August 23, 2019 around 7:45. I had bought my nephew a regular Disney Typhoon Lagoon ticket and I was told that I need a special event ticket when entering the park. We walked over to the customer service line. I wanted to ask if I could pay the difference to upgrade his ticket for this special event. I saw a manager walking with another employee and said "excuse me can I ask you a quick question?" She firmly and loudly said "NO I CANNOT SPEAK TO YOU RIGHT NOW, IM HANDLING A SITUATION. GO ASK ONE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE YOUR QUESTION" Me and my nephew mouth's was on the floor, and I just replied OK! Not but two seconds later another manager said to me "miss come with me." He apologized for what the manager said and said he would correct the situation for me. He said, "no one should be spoken to like that. I was embarrassed because it felt like the entire customer service line and everyone around stopped and stared as I was being talked down to. All I want to do was ask if I could upgrade my ticket, wasnt trying to skip any line, just wanted to confirm I could pay the difference. Thank you Matt for correcting the situation, he took me away from an embarrassing situation and corrected it. We had such an amazing time in the wave pool and enjoying all the rides without the sun beating down on us. The DJ was playing such good music people were dancing in the wave pool and tons more on the sand. Wow such a great night for all of us.
Thank you Matt, Rodriguez Family from New York.

We visited twice. Once for an after hours event in the evening which was nice got to do quite a few rides. Like teamboat springs and miss Adventure falls.
And once in the daytime did the crush n gusher and some other rides. As well as the lazy river.. love the new floats with two handles ( c shaped inflation). Super easy for someone with a disability to float down the river now !
We did a couple of big waves in the main pool and went to the Leaning palms. Only criticism is I know you don't like providing straws because they can cause pollution. But when someone needs a straw due to disability don't make it complicated to get one!

I don't normally do water parks, but we had access to this as part of 2-day Park Hopper pass for the theme parks so I definitely want to check it out as part of the experience of coming to Walt Disney World.
The day we went was actually quite empty; at least with the amount of loungers available it certainly seemed to be the case. The lines for the water slides and attractions were also very short which was great. We went mid-week in mid-May so maybe that helped.
Anyway, as I haven't been to any water parks I have no others to compare it to. I really liked the layout and the slides were all fun. Yes, they were quite short, but the lines being so short meant we could go on them a few times which was great. I could see when this place is very busy that it would be frustrating for people.
The wave pool was great, I loved all the slides that we did; which was all of them actually. We rented an umbrella and loungers for an extra cost for some extra space and privacy which was good. The food was tasty as well, and it was just a lot of fun overall.
I don't think I would come on a busy day, but on the day we came it was quite empty which made this experience really excellent. Glad we came to experience the park.

Weāre a family of 6 aged 7-65 including 2 neuro-diverse family members.
Our family hired a shack for the day. This is not our first visit.
We would not visit this park without a shack, it was an expensive but necessary extra add-on. Itās a fantastic add on, reserved area, reserved chairs, clean towels, unlimited soft drinks, personal server.
The park is fantastic, the kids love it. Rides are varied and queue times all reasonable.
Only downsides were, drinks service could / should have been better. Main gripe was the food ordering to your shack - you had to order āspecial foodā all of which was outside any of the dining plans, very disappointing this to be honest. Be careful of this.

Had a great day at this water park something for everyone not much to not enjoy although the wave machine is a force to be reckoned with. Waves literally drag you across the floor which is very rough both myself and teenager ended up with scrapes from the pool floor.

Fun rides/slides, massive waves, long lazy river & plenty of areas to chill. Best place to relax between the craziness of the theme parks. Some nice food choices and big slides!

I love this water park. And the hugeeeee wave pool (just be careful you can hit someone) The water rides love it! Lazy river very relax. I went for the glow nights with toy story characters amazing. I think is better in the night. Everything was great!

Would leave 0 stars.
This is advertised as a āfamilyā park. However, there is no ārealā dress code enforced. Things are allowed, no not mild āwedgieā type bathing suits; string thongs. I complained to cast members and was told, āWe let people be who there areā.
Disney is no longer about family; itās about money.
We left immediately.
With tops as skimpy as pasties and string thongs, if this is āyourā idea of a family environment, well⦠this is RIGHT up your alley.
For those of us who do NOT understand Disney's definition of āfamily environmentā I would refrain.
To those who would like a cheaper than āstrip clubā environment (the nudity is free), this is YOUR place.

Its an amazing place to take kids, they love it there. We loved it there too as adults. The best ride is the gushers, slushers and banana gusher.

Lots of fun the giant wave was amazing!
Something for the whole family here whether you are adventurous or not...life jackets for the little ones.... You need a full day as the time passes very quickly.
Lots to do or just relax and enjoy what's on offer.
Plenty of food and drink options easy access, didn't have to wait long for anything...

Been over 20yrs since I went here last. Better than I remember. The wave pool was bigger than I recall and better than Blizzard and Vlacanoās.
Slides were fun, had a fun day with two families.
Same beer tip as my Blizzard review. Get a beer with lunch if you have the dining plan and then you have a refill cup to use if you want another later at a cheaper rate. Watch out as they use a two coloured cup policy if you go back again. Recycling/ environmental saving is not top of Disneys list.
Buses - Disney. Run more buses from hotels. Swapping at springs of kingdom depending on which you visiting is not great. Especially as hotels near Lagoon do go direct unlike those at Blizzard.

My boys enjoyed the water park with thier team mates. Great customer service and freandly staff. Great water rides.

Another great day out courtesy of Disney. In our opinion if you have pre- teens this is the park for you.
The wave pool certainly packs a punch, so if you have younger, and older family members keep a good hold of them or risk being swept away. Great fun but a little scary for smaller children. Again a good selection of rides to suit most families - although Blizzard Beach just edges ahead with more choices for younger children.
Not as much natural shade here, which again could be a problem for kiddies, but over all another great day out.
Expect to pay above the odds for pretty much everything, so bring as much food and drink as you need unless you want to leave with a large hole in your holiday budget.

Went to the glo night on the evening of June 13th which was my birthday. Had a really great time wasnāt busy so you could go on all the water rides.
Great Disney park šš»

We recently visited Typhoon Lagoon with school aged children. We arrived at the park shortly after it opened which is recommended as it gets crowded. We quickly grabbed a couple chairs to set up our stuff after getting towels ($2 charge). We were happy they allow soft coolers so we brought water, juice boxes, snacks, to go along with our lunch purchase.
The dining options were great, mobile order ahead was definitely a perk. Free ice water at various stations so bringing a reusable water bottle is also a great idea. And who doesn't leave a Disney park without a mickey ears dessert or dole whip! YUM.
The park itself is well kept, lots of areas for all ages. Parking was free and easy especially if you arrive early. The wave pool and lazy river were our favorites. The slides were also a hit and the lines were not too long.
Our tip would be to purchase water shoes as the concrete can get warm in the Florida sun and it made it a little more comfortable climbing stairways for the slides. An inexpensive pair would do just fine for the day.
Overall, it was a great trip and even better since we were able to take advantage of Disney passholder discounted rates. We'd definitely return again!

We came here for part of a day and loved going in the wave pool and lazy river!! We didn't get a chance to go on any rides as a storm came in and shut the rides!! But we loved having a chill-out day in the water and had a fab time!! The changing rooms were really clean.

We were unable to secure last minute reservations for the Disney theme parks because our spring break plans changed to FL last minute (that's a whole other review to be written) so we spent a day here. It was truly wonderful and relaxing. It wasn't even that busy, even though it was spring break. We loved the long lazy river (they have the amazing seat-style tubes) and the family raft ride. And the best part was that this "wave pool" is a bit different from every other wave pool we've been too. We sat around the corner by the kids area, so we didn't discover it until we were already in the pool. One of the most memorable moments of our trip was when that first wave came...
The only thing I have to complain about is that in the lazy river, you "have" to go under a waterfall that drenches you with cold water. I would have stayed in the lazy river for hours if I didn't have to go through that - there should be half of it turned off so you can navigate around it.

We visited Typhoon Lagoon a couple of weeks ago - literally a couple of days after Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishment. We must have gone on a good day as we didn't have to queue long for any of the slides - less than 5 mins for each one!
We really enjoyed this water park, it was the first time that I have ever visited. Most of the rides you sit on rubber inflatable rings but there are a few slides where you can slide down without.
They have lockers on site which there is a small charge for. Towels were provided free of charge to us as we were staying at a Disney hotel.
We ate at Surf Doggies for lunch and had their All-Beef hot dog meal with crisps and a drink, it was very delicious - so much so, that we had 2 hot dogs each!
Would thoroughly recommend both the park and food to anyone looking to visit. The water rides are so much fun and they are a really nice way to cool down in the Florida heat.

This water park is a dream it has all the things a family requires and is Kid Friendly and safe. Food outlets are reasonable so you get what you paid for plus a few upgrades to a cabana or even just a shady umbrella is well worth the money.
Don't forget to get there early in peak times as even with the extra seating it can be a pain find chairs and beds but I am sure like the jones gang you will enjor the day. HAVE FUN

We really enjoyed a day there. We arrived around 11 and had plenty of time to do all the rides. Not too busy on a weekday.
Plenty of seats for everyone. Lockers are very handy (but expensive at $15/day)

Lots of water rides for everyone...the big wave, the lazy river, flames, food, drink, plenty of chairs and sun beds, clean toilets and showers, lockers and shops. You can take your own coolers and food to cut costs for bigger groups. My only advice would be if you need to get out of the sun then that can be a problem. If you need shade then take your own sun brolly as the gazebos can be expensive to hire...all be it..they are lovely.

Typhoon Lagoon is really great. The park was not over-crowded & the lines were short. The rides are over quickly, but they were fun & there was a nice variety. You are going to get a workout climbing all the steps & carrying your rafts. The scenery is very nice & also interesting to look at. We found the maps in the park very helpful to aid in our navigation. The crown jewel of this water park is their large, warm wave pool that mimics the ocean. There is no raft to take into the wave pool unfortunately. There are a ton of lifeguards demonstrating rapt attention. When you experience the strength of the waves, youāll understand why. Know that this wave pool truly mimics the ocean, meaning the water is deep & the waves are very strong. The waves are also very high & they will go over your head. Bring ear plugs & nose plugs to be prudent. As 1 reviewer pointed out-do not venture past the 5 feet mark. Iāll go 1 step better & advise to hover near to the 3 feet mark. I saw kids & adults become overwhelmed quickly. Being prepared can help you know what to expect so you can maximize your enjoyment of this unique & beautiful wave pool. This is a fabulous water park & we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

The park is definitely more aimed at the younger audience. Do not go here expecting massive slides. However, if you want gentle smaller slides to build confidence in children the park is perfect. Granted the dedicated toddler area looks a bit strange since the splash pools for the mini slides are rubber floors with a garden hose running over them, a bit weird but it is what it is.
Massive selling point for me was the wave pool. This was simply sensational. Not only are the waves gigantic but they are fairly frequent. By far the best wave pool I've ever been in.

This is now the most palletable of Disneys parks, there's still big crowds of people but they are more evenly dispersed . The main attraction is the wave pool but the lazy river is good fun too. Where this park let's itself down is the drinks and food. Our youngest wanted some fries, they were over $5 and there wasn't enough to feed a mouse. See our photo of the actual portion, it's disgusting, Disney are shameless. It's not put us off coming here but we will definitely be bringing our own drinks and snacks next time.

Fun place! Lots of rides, food and swim time. I recommend the family friendly large tub rides for everyone.

We had a wonderful day at Typhoon Lagoon, despite the mid morning downpour! This was well managed and we were able to shelter from the storm until it had passed. Staff then notified everyone they could return to the rides and water.
The wave pool was awesome and we had the most fun in there! We didnāt try every slide (as theyāre not something we as a family really enjoy), but those we did were great!

I havenāt been there in years but the setting remains beautiful and well maintained. If you are not staying in a Disney hotel, bring a towel. I recommend water and lots of sunscreen. As usual with Disney, there is very limited shade. There are umbrellas for our purchase. There is a great mix of attractions for young kids, family and mild thrill seekers. The splash pad has lots to do and is very safe. There are lots of lifeguards throughout park. The slides are well-monitored by guards. There is Disney food available for those who do not want to bring a picnic. The stores have lots of great products including the basics you might forget. Parking is free and relatively easy.

We have been to many water parks and this is our favorite. The setting is beautiful. Lots of shade or sun. Nice variety of slides and the lazy river is so beautiful and relaxing. Good food selection.

Just back from a fun day at Typhoon Lagoon. We had a Beachcomber Shack again this visit which is expensive but we enjoy our day more with this - Morgan and EJ were so helpful. The reason I prefer Blizzard Beach is you donāt need the wrestle with two sets of stairs and multi person raft (I know Miss Adventure Falls which is a newer TL attraction avoids this also), but in the process of carrying the raft to Gangplank Falls I ripped my big toenail off due to it hitting my foot (TMI possibly but did make a difference to my enjoyment!). We also leave every year with scrape from the wave pool as we have to stand towards the shallow end with our kids and it is so forceful, which I know for older kids and adults makes it all the more exciting when you can be further in the pool (the strong waves, not the scrapes!). First time on Crush n Gusher, it was fun but short, would def like to try the two other slides there. We will be back, just after Blizzard Beach.

I love Disney World water parks. While I havenāt been to Blizzard I awhile Iāve been to Typhoon a couple times recently.
The best things about this water park is how relaxing it is. Itās such a calm and chill place to hang out and enjoy some sun and fun after attractions.
This specific review is about my experience as a solo guest the other day.
The cast members at the entrance are always friendly and welcoming.
I wonāt say where it is so I donāt give away my favorite spot, but thereās a nice place to go if you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle to relax in your chair to read, nap, or lay in the sun. Itās quiet.
I stopped by the changing area to get in my swim trunks and then went to my spot to drop off my stuff. More on the changing room later.
When I go here on a solo day I like to just lay out in my chair, get in the lazy river or do some of the easy slides that are fun. A lot of the slides and attractions and other stuff isnāt really as fun without friends to do it with.
I LOVE the lazy river. While it has its moments of relaxation, there are often a lot of people who use it to play and swim.
I wish Disney would put a little more restriction on behavior in the lazy river as it appears most people donāt understand the concept.
I personally wish there was a rule that if youāre in there, you have to be floating on a tube.
Having said that most people are genuinely courteous and itās just funny and laughable when you bump into each other or get stuck under the waterfall.
Definitely canāt worry about personal space here though. With the amount of people, youāre going to sometimes bump into or rub up against other people at times.
During my lazy river time this particular day I witnessed a man get pushed up against one of the rocks and scrape his nose and start bleeding. Luckily this was near one of the lifeguards and the lifeguard helped him up on to the side and gave him a towel and assistance.
Which leads me to the next thing. Disney trains their lifeguards really well. Theyāre abundant and VERY attentive to whatās going on. I always feel safe in that regard. Way to go Disney.
The WAVE POOL IS AMAZING. People often write about how much fun it is and I canāt agree more.
I canāt recall the name of them right now but I did both tube slides which are relaxing but fun too cuz the scenery is nice to look at.
For lunch I stopped by Typhoon Tillieās (spelling) and had the coconut shrimp basket. Iām not sure what the sauce is, but OMG itās delish, pretty sure itās got curry in it. Yum.
Again great cast member interactions.
Here I also witnessed a disgruntled guest who didnāt understand the refill policy and was no kidding yelling at the poor girl. She handled him with such kindness.
There is lots of seating in this area so thatās nice.
Another thing I enjoy is the fun and enjoyment you see everyone having. You see all sorts of people of all shapes and sizes with no shame. There is no judgement because everyone is just enjoying themselves which is so beautiful to me.
Now Iāll talk about the facilities.
There are lots of places to get snacks, and things to eat or drink. Thereās a shop to pick up anything you may need for the day. There are locker and towel rentals available.
They allow you to walk around without shoes which is what I do, but if you have sensitive feet, it might be a bit rough so I would bring water shoes if you need them.
There are A LOT of bathrooms which are always very clean. Pretty much anywhere you are in the park, you can find a place to go if nature calls.
There is also great changing room facilities that are kept well clean. I canāt speak for the ladies side, but the menās side has about four sections. There are two sections of traditional bathroom facilities. There are also changing areas and showers. This is very much a menās locker room without much room for modesty or privacy. I personally donāt care, but if youāve got kids, I would definitely let them know theyāre likely to see fully nude men in here. Especially during the busier times when people are showering, changing, or getting ready to leave to head to the parks.
The showers are private and have soap in a dispenser if you need it. There are also hooks and benches to place your things on. I recommend if you need to use them to go before it gets too close to park close time or you will have to wait.
All in all this is a great place whether youāre traveling alone or with friends and family. Something fun for all and lots of chances to make great memories. Happy splashing!!

Lost count how many times been here over the years. Itās a great day out. Never any long wait times. Wave pool is great. Need more shaded areas.

Awesome day spend here with lots of thrill rides and good activities. The park was full but well managed.

The park is in a state that has year round sunshine yet there is way too little umbrellas for shade as well as way too few tables to eat food on. This meant we had to sit in the lee of a building which was actually a walkway to the toilet. When the sun moved around the only shady bit was the storage area for sunbeds. Ridiculous. Not a patch on Siam park in Tenerife

If you're looking for big fast and intense slides this is not for you, the best thing here imo was the wave machine.
The rest of the rides were mainly small and aimed at kids including the three aqua coasters which are reasonably good but too short vs the one at Volcano bay which has a total of 7 drops from memory whereas these all have 3.
The lazy river and wave machine are superb and the whole theming and layout are also great so this is still well worth a visit as there is also plenty of sunbathing spots throughout the park.

Lots to do but was far too busy. Had to queue at last an hour for any slide. Little greedy letting so many people in at once.

Hard to rate this one! I loved our time at Disney's Typhoon lagoon, but we were injured in the main wave pool which has a floor which can only be described as a cheese grater. The power of the waves, even in the shallows is incredibly strong and scrapes your skin. All of my party had abrasions, and we didn't use the wave pool again. However - the rest of the water park is amazing! The lazy river, the slides, the food, service, coffee - everything! Get there early and queue straight away at the rope line, you will then be one of the first in and can get a seat with shade without having to pay to extortionate fees for an umbrella. I suggest turning left over the entrance way and then first right onto the sand, there are loads of trees there, so grab a sun lounger under the bushes and you will have a whole day of shade! We did this both days and it was the perfect place to sit.

All you need to know is that at Disney magic really can happen.
The next thing you need to know is the amazing cast members Amber and Jesus. They went above and beyond.
We are a family of 4 -6,11,39,42 with a SEN child.
We were waiting to enter the park at 0930am to get a good spot. The two cast members came over to us and asked our children if they wanted to go in first and open the park - OMG .
- private tour,
- meet the staff
- first to ride any ride of our choice before anyone else
- FREE private cabana
- and more
- nanes on the special guest board, Disney autographs
Our family is literally stunned , it was the best day we have ever had. EVER.
5* review !!!

We bought tickets with the water park option included. On 8/5, we left Magic Kingdom at 11 and headed to the hotel to get ready for an afternoon at the water park. We arrived to find that the park was at capacity. We were turned away and told to "walk around Disney Springs" (in our swimsuits?) or "come back in 3 hours" to check the status. We were told there was no way to call or check in the app. Just come back and try again. While I appreciate that Disney has capacity limits on their parks, I am frustrated with the lack of communication with guests regarding the closure. The technology is there....they are able to send me an alert in the app saying that I'm near a quick service restaurant and should place a mobile order. I don't understand why they choose not to alert guests to a park closure. We lost at least 2 hours of our day and were stuck with nothing to do because it was 12:30 and too early to park hop. We could have been more flexible except for our dinner reservations that we had to make 60 days in advance. Disappointing for all as that was our last full day and it ended up a total stressful mess.

This water park is wonderful. You get the same high quality Disney fun without the long lines and wait times. We never had to wait in line more than a couple minutes for rides or restaurants etc. very clean. Not over crowded. Lots of shaded areas to sit. Lots of chairs and umbrellas available. Huge lazy river. Lots of things for all ages. They even have a section for babies and toddlers with little tube rides. Only thing we didn't like was the food was pretty basic and way overpriced. But you can take your own small cooler of food/snacks/ water bottles into the park. Will definitely be going back!

Just wonderful in every way. So relaxing, and the staff were really helpful. We had a cabana for the day which was nice, but on reflection possibly a luxury we didn't need. The place was spotless, the rides were great, and the queues weren't too bad at all.
One thing I particularly appreciated was the vegan/vegetarian menu. Veggie food can be very difficult to find in the US and I'd been to places like McDonald's and found they had NOTHING vegetarian on the menu which was just scandalous. But Typhoon Lagoon had an entire vegetarian/vegan menu with some really great choices on it.

During the latest Disney holiday we decided to visit Typhoon Lagoon.
Last year we did Volcano bay on both holiday and to be honest I wish we had not done Typhoon Lagoon.
Maybe itās child oriented as the aqua coasters are very short and tbh very disappointing (all three) especially when compared to the one at Volcano bay which is far faster, better and longer.
Aside Tyron these there was next to nothing there which was worth doing apart from itās one good feature, the wave pool and wave machine :-(
Annoyingly the other Disney water park was closed so we have hopes on our next visit that will be open and better

This is our 3rd time here and it's still great.
It caters for all ages. The big wave pool is quite wild when the waves are on so warning for weaker swimmers and those with young kids keep to the shallows and even here the waves can suck you in. The lazy river is a must for those that like a nice drift and there are plenty of rubber rings.
Good flumes and an area for younger kids.
There is a beach too.
Tip though is to get there early for a an area to make camp. The beds do go sharp, particularly as blizzard beach is closed and during busy times.
The food was actually good although service was very slow after ordering.
Tip, buy the refillable mug, it pays off after 3 drinks.
I'll definitely be back... but earlier this time.

We love this place! Their lazy river is such an oasis in Disney Worldāespecially after time spent in the theme parks. But our total favorite is the massive wave pool. Such a hoot to be out there with the āsurfā. We like the lunch and snack options. We got a really good chicken wrap and split it. Big enough for two. I appreciate how clean they keep this park. It cannot be easy to do. There is a wonderful area for small children and of course the big slides for those adventurous pre-teens and older. All around good family fun can be had here all day.

Disney staff please take notice. Go to your website and try and buy a Typhoon Lagoon ticket for 1 day! I thought 1 park 1 day ticket would suffice but NO. I bought this ticket where there is no clear explanation that these tickets are for theme parks and at the entrance to Typhoon lagoon I was told I had bought the wrong tickets and it was looking like I was going to lose my money. I was having none of it and after some stubborn I am not buying my ticket got transferred. My guidance to Disney - try and buy a 1 day ticket to Typhoon Lagoon on your website. I have tried again and I cant find out how to do it, how hard can it be???
Not a great start.
As for the park we started with the main pool and wave machine which is insane. The power that the wave machine generated was immense. You need to be careful as this could be dangerous, we loved it!
As for the other rides we found the lazy river to be too lazy. Slowly, very slowly going round the river. We found it boring.
As for slides we found some that were just very easy and boring. In addition you had to take the inflatable up many flights of stairs which shows the age of the park as all new ones have machines to take inflatables to the top of the rides.
Near the end we found some more inflatable rides and we loved them - Coconut, Banana and Pineapple slides, I cant recall the ride name but we stayed in this area for quite some time and we enjoyed it.
In summary the ticket issue started us off badly (Disney you need to make this easier), some of the rides were boring but we got there in the end and we had a good day. Wave machine is insane!

TL is a beautiful tropical waterpark and ive been going for many years.
This year unfortunately our trip was ruined by the awful DJ that was being pumped out all over the park. Hours of awful clips of badly DJ'd dance music. I literally felt like I was in Benidorm hell.
Disney please get rid of this and just keep to the nice layed back tropical vibes music. Or at least just keep it localised to the stage area for the kids so it can ve avoided.
We left after a few hours with a headache and stayed at Volcano bay as our waterpark of choice for the rest of the holiday.

Lots to do at Typhoon Lagoon, we really liked the lazy river and the wave pool. They also have some really great water slides! Go right when it opens to get a good spot and enjoy the short lines!

This is my favourite Disney water park, it is beautifully put together with plenty of space for a relaxing day at the beach, the lazy pool which takes you around the whole area slowly around 20 to 25 minutes so relaxing. You also have plenty of areas to relax and eat from the small takeaways ice cream refreshments to cool beers and soft drinks.

During a recent trip to Florida, this was one of our favorite days. We anticipated considerable people because it was the Sunday of President's Day Weekend and it was rather warm. Not even close. With the possible exception of a two-minute wait for the crush'n gusher, we rode every slide. Even their "drop slide" isn't as thrilling as those at "big water parks," and there's a decent selection of slides for the younger crowd. Although some of the benefits were not there, the lazy river is pleasant, lengthy, and soothing. Everything else appeared to be in decent condition, though, and the meal was pleasantly delicious.

We went to Disneyās Typhoon Lagoon on one of our ārestā days at Disney in the hope that the adults could relax on a deck chair and the kids could have fun and cool down in the water. This was the original plan but, honestly, the adults ended up having more fun than the kids! Thereās a ālazyā river thatās not lazy at all with PLENTY of chances to get wet! Thereās the wave pool, which sets off huge waves every 90 seconds which the kids absolutely loved. Thereās slides and rapids and even a mountain trail. So much for that ārestā day we had all anticipated but this was 10X better than just sitting but a pool. My main tip is to make sure you get there early so you get a good space to find your deck chairs and claim your spot for the day.

This is a family friendly water park. The wave pool is fantastic and the waves come frequently. The lazy river now has 'chair' style tubes which made it easier to get in and out off.

Although this is better than Blizzard Beach, I would recommend going to Universal's Volcano Bay which is absolutely amazing!

From age 8 to 70, this was one of the most fun days we spent on our week vacation in Orlando. The Wave Pool and the Lazy River are just 2 of the many highlights. The kids did not want to leave!!

We've been here once before earlier this week in late afternoon and had a reasonably good experience. Today though, we intended to spend the whole day here and arrived around 11am. We didn't realize that there is a severe lack of umbrellas for rent or that you could rent them in advance. We tried to rent an umbrella when we arrived but they ran out teo people infront of us. All the shaded spots near the wave pool were already taken. I tried to tolerate the sun for a bit but it was so hot and striking, I knew I wouldn't be able to sit there any longer even with my spf blanket.
So, I went to the souvenir shop nearby where you can rent umbrellas, towels, etc and asked for some help locating a spot with shade. The person at the counter got their supervisor to see if any help could be provided. The supervisor was absolutely no help and was very off-putting telling me that she can't leave her spot and informing me that they only had 26 umbrellas, which were already taken. I asked if someone could help us find a shady spot and she said we'dhave to look for ourselves and that the spots were first come first served. She didn't even offer to see if someone else who didn't have to stay put could help us.
The last time we were here earlier this week, the staff we encountered were much more attentive. Two staff members wgo noticed we weren't familiar with where things were actually helped us find a shady spot.
How Disney could possibly only have 26 umbrellas available for rent at this massive waterpark that they designed in such a way that there aren't many shady spots is unconscionable!
We eventually found a shady spot but the experience with the rentals supervisor has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I was there all those years ago.
Fortunately, being a water park, you do not suffer the heat of other parks.
In addition, parking is free.
It deduces, which is highly recommended.
Among the various attractions, you can swim, crossing, an artificial basin, with various fish and harmless sharks

I think my review pretty much mirrors those given by others previously. This water park is very hard to beat. Iāve yet to visit āVolcano Bayā but when I do so next week, it will have to be special to top āTyphoon Lagoonā.
The setting is what once was a tropical paradise, destroyed at the hands of a typhoon. A Shrimp boat known as āMiss Tillyā lies upside down on āMount Maydayā, which erupts with a water geyser every so often. All over the island there are the remains of boats, equipment and surfing gear. Disney have done wonders in creating this scene.
As for the running of the park, it was pristine. Every member of staff I spoke with was polite. They were happy, friendly and it seemed to rub off on the guests! It really makes such a difference.
We managed to get on a lot of rides. I highly recommend the āHumunga Kowabungaā if youāre a thrill seeker, the āBanana Blasterā for a bit of fun and the highlight, the 12 foot āWave Poolā. I donāt think youāll experience many like it around the world - the adrenaline rush when the wave pushes through is something else!
Final recommendations - invest in the Souvenir Cup (free refills and if itās hot, youāll need them), top up your sun protection regularly (you are highly exposed to it) and, use the lockers provided for valuables (it puts your mind at ease).

I cannot even put into words how much I love Typhoon Lagoon. Disney truly brings the same magic that is present in all of their theme parks to the water park, making it a truly phenomenal place to be. The bestā and most uniqueā parts of the park are the wave pool and Miss Adventure Falls slide, as the wave pool waves can reach great heights similar to what most surfers surf in, and this water slide is the only slide (as far as I know of) that has animatronics on it. Typhoon Lagoon is truly one of my favorite places in the world, and I would strongly encourage anyone who is able to visit to do so!

Fun day out with kids. They do have a adult only section (didn't get to check that out.)
They have a lazy river, several slides and water tube rides. There are areas for all ages from tots to adults. The big wave pool is fun but be warned if you or yours are not good swimmers, when the wave hits, even if your in only waist high, it will pick you up. (We found it best to turn your back to it and ride the wave.)
They have cabanas, tables with umbrellas, and lockers for rent. There's a gift shop and several different places to eat. They do let you bring in food and drinks, but they do check your bag/cooler (no alcohol.)

A relaxing and extremely fun getaway in the heat of the summer! We spent two mornings at Typhoon Lagoon with a toddler. Had to return a second time because we enjoyed it so much. We spent the majority of our time at Ketchakiddie Creek which in an area perfect for little ones to the left as you enter. Plenty of lounge chairs in shaded areas including free public thatched roof huts so I would not recommend buying the premium private umbrellas or cabanas. Even in the hottest days we found the water park to not be overly crowded. We were able to ride a couple of tube slides without any wait. Made plenty of use of the HUGE lazy river too! Food at the water parks is not extraordinary but was okay. We appreciate that there is no parking fee and a very generous discount for annual pass holders. During our visit we paid $50 per adult for day entry. Highly recommended overall but do not recommend and specialty ice cream treats such as the Hei Hei cone or Montunui cone as we felt they were overpriced.

It's a nice water park and great for the little ones.
The majority of the slides are disappointing if your after a thrill. They do gave one vertical slide where you can race in 3's which was probably the best slide.
The others where you went down on your back you could feel every joint on the slide on the way down and did not offer a smooth ride.
The tube slides are OK, and was a nice relaxing day as the park was not that busy.
The lazy river was nice and relaxing and a great way to travel around the park.
The waves are amazing in the main pool and was probably the highlight of the day š š
If you want thrills, I would definitely go to Volcano Bay and miss out Typhoon Lagoon. But if you are looking for a great day out in a water park with younger kids which is relaxing then this park is great.
Getting to the water park is a bit of a pain if you're not staying at Disney as you have to go to Disney Springs to catch a transfer which takes some planning.

So just came back here recently since its last but of warm air to really enjoy the park ! Anyway this is one of my favorite water parks blizzard ok but this just gives amazing vibes staff a bit better and very accommodating! Free towels ! No rides were broken or needing any issues unlike blizzard beach ! Wave pool fun all the slides were amazing ! 68$ good price and free parking !! Wish they would offer season passes but nope unfortunately

I visited Disney's Typhoon lagoon water park with my wife and six year old son in September 2019. We were slightly disappointed to discover that Blizzard beach water park was closed for the season shortly before we arrived for our two week Florida vacation. We visited Typhoon lagoon twice during our stay in Orlando. The park was clean and we had no problems in obtaining beds near the large pool. There are lots of rides that are family friendly however we found a lot of the slides fairly tame. My son was six at the time of our visit and even he felt there wasn't really a thrilling slide. The part of the park he really enjoyed was the wave pool which was great fun. We enjoyed our time at Typhoon lagoon but would possibly visit another park with more thrilling slides when we return to Orlando in a few years time.

We spent our check-out day from the Beach Club at Typhoon Lagoon⦠a very relaxing way to end the vacation. We used Lyft to and from the hotel since there is no direct bus from the hotel. The ride took less than 10 minutes and we waited less than 3 minutes to be picked up. The Lyft cost for the 6 of us was $13 each way. I spoke to a guy who rode the bus and he said there was no wait at the transfer station at Disney Springs although I've heard that can happen. We reserved a Beachcomber Shack about a week ahead since our fair-skinned group could not be in direct sun all day. It was expensive ($350) but worth it to have a shady home base for the day with 6 comfortable loungers and a lockbox. Our hostess, Ashlee, was great-bringing us extra towels , explaining locations including where the included souvenir, refillable cups could be filled. Later she brought us a nice lunch of make-your-own nachos and a pizza. Be forewarned that the park has a non stop soundtrack of beach boys, 50ās sock hop favorites, and Jimmy Buffet. We would have enjoyed a bit of Hawaiian music added in. Between the slides, rides, lazy river, and wave pool, there was something for everyone in our group (ages 14 - 64) and plenty to do for a 6 hour visit.

I have been to Orlando and Disney on several occasions, yet, it was the first time that it kinda made sense for us to experience the waterpark. Not only that but we would be visiting during one of the H2O Glow Night Party.
What I liked: Pretty much everything.... The wave/surf pool is extremely powerful, yet extremely safe. The many different slides all have interesting twists and turns, with some Disney theming where appropriate. Being a special night/ticketed event, lines were very reasonable at all slides (rarely more than 15 minutes wait at slides up to "moderate" thrill level). Basic, but long lazy river. Sufficient seating in some of the best areas. Nice "fake" beach. The H2O theming with Toy Story characters and live DJ made for a fun night.
What to watch for/could be improved: This special party night had some interesting food offering. This being Disney though, nothing was really cheap
This was the start of the Disney portion of our summer vacation and it started with a blast. I would go back to Typhoon lagoon in a heart beat and would participate in H2O Glow Nights again if available in the future

This is the best water park that I've ever been to.
The ginormous wave tidal wave pool is so much fun and very exhilarating.
The lazy river is great for a gentle relaxing ride, apart from the odd water spray or waterfalls!
The 2 body slide rides are so fast and fun.
Crush 'n' Gusher is another great ride with the inflatables.
There's lots of food choices and some great ice creams, doughnuts and more.
There are lockers to rent for $10 or $15 dollars and the towels are free for Disney resort guests.

Was there with all the family and plenty to do for both adults and my grandchildrenās, disappointed that they close send the shark reef, but still fab

Typhoon Lagoon is great fun. We didnāt bother with the other two parks, volcano bay or blizzard. Volcano bays reviews put us off. Also free parking and car park close to the venue. The only disappointment is the lack of umbrellas. There is a bit of a scramble when the park opens, akin to Brits abroad with towels on sun beds. But other than that a great place to visit.

We decided to go here rather than get a lyft taxi to Volcano bay, at this time Blizzard Beach is shut and thought of ease we would try Typhoon Lagoon due to the ease of getting there via a transfer at Disney Springs.
The park was very clean with staff waiting to welcome you in with loud music and dances which set the theme to the day which was positives.
Plenty of beds we had one near the front of the wave pool, I would recommend getting in early to ensure a decent spot.
Buy a refillable drinks cup as it was $11.99 and itās worth every Penny with lots of stations near to the restaurants.
Wave pool was the big hit and plenty of room, the other kids slides were also great and we managed miss falls ride as well.
A great day out and if you are staying at a Disney resort definitely come here!

What a waste of a day. High expectations but totally let down. We have better water parks in UAE and India. They give you options to do 2 parks but the other park is a 5 min drive which makes no sense. My family completed all the rides in 2 hours. Most of them were suited only for kids. Even my son got bored and spent the balance of the day in wave pool and lazy river. You had to pay for $15 for a normal locker and $2 for every towel which is a rip-off. With nothing much to do we walked out early, the time which could have been spent at Universal.

Arrived at this waterpark on a very, very hot August day. To my amazement, there were only a handful of static sunshades which were all taken. We had to hire three at a cost of 90 dollars which made me angry as this is a cost that we shouldn't be expected to pay at a waterpark, in August, at Disney who should have a duty of care to its customers who have already paid a fee to enter the park. I did vent my frustration to a manager who understood my frustration and paid for our lunch. Needless to say, I emailed Disney on this matter but never got a reply. Besides this matter, the park is fun but the crowds and costs spoil it.

When I purchased the tickets it didnāt indicate that it was the water park. We went to magic kingdom. Wasted 2 hours. Whatās dress for water park.

We had such an excellent day out here at Typhoon Lagoon, from cruising down the lazy river to be washed away in surf pool. The refillable cup is excellent value and there is plenty of sunbeds, you just have to remember where you're sat.

Wave pool is THE BEST! Giant waves and if you are a strong swimmer go out to the buoys to get in front of the giant wave when it first starts. The wave pool was our fav place. Me, my husband and our teenage son. We did a few slides and the wait times were short and the rides were fun. The only thing is we arrived about 25 minutes before opening and stood in line while some kids pushed their way in front of us so we ended up about 20 people deep before they opened. When the attendant opened the rope to let people in, it was MAYHEM, grown people running - like high-knees running to save chairs and umbrellas. It isnāt disneyās fault, but it really was sad to see grown ups acting the way they did all so they could save seats.. maybe disney could not allow so many people in the park. A few tips: wear water shoes(you will be asked to hold them when you go down slides) or leave them near the area where the slides end. Reserve an umbrella near the food and restrooms area. This was worth it.. you need a special wrist band and there was an attendant there so we felt fine leaving our belongings there. Beware of bees. Lots of bees. Prepare to have fun!

First time visiting Typhoon Lagoon and had a great time. We arrived at 10am, wasnāt super busy so it was easy going through the gate. We pre-purchased our day pass and they did ask for ID. The wave pool was awesome, very large pool. The waves come and go at specific times and they were posted just as you were entering the area. The lazy river was nice and quite long. They have chair style tubes and regular round tubes and the chair ones seem to be quite popular. The trick if you donāt see any wherever you are entering just walk the river till you see one. As mentioned it wasnāt super busy (day after Labor Day) so there wasnāt a lot of lines which was nice. I found the prices for food/drinks were very reasonable considering it was Disney. My spouse and I got 2 waters, an order of fries and 2 flatbread pizzas for $32 total. Iād recommend this water park especially trying to beat the Florida heat!

Love the Disney water parks! Fun raft and tube rides. Lazy river.Only part that sucks is hoisting the rafts up the stairs but what you gonna do.Awesome wave pool. Good food choices, you have to get the sand pail ice cream sundae bucket... yummy!Note that you can visit both blizzard beach and Typhoon Lagoon for only one price on the same day. Start early when they open so you can then Uber over to the next waterpark. During the summer they are open until 8 PM.Crowds lessen considerably towards the end of the day and thatās the best time .especially on the lazy river ,much less people. We have been to Atlantis in the Bahamas and I have to tell you the Disney water parks beat Atlantis!

Great way to break up your Disney trip. Mixed this into our week of Disney. Disney's Memory Maker photographers are grossly lacking and we were disappointed that there were few, almost no photographers there for having bought that service option. Same situation over at Blizzard Beach Lagoon. Also lacking! They even apologized at the shop within the water park that promoted "Memory Maker". If there was anytime that you would want a Memory Maker photographer, it would be when you cannot carry a camera ((like, hint hint, in a water park)).
Slides were fun and it made for a great break. Larger space, yet not as slide ambitious as a "Great Wolf Lodge" slide experience.

This review is solely on the H2O glow night event. After hours used to be amazing not anymore. We did 2 other events are were let down, not at all what they used to be. Water park was super crowded waited forever in line. We couldnāt start the event until 8:20 because of the storms so we had already lost time. We got there at 7. No bottled drinks like the other events. Gave out cups no pop anywhere. Water rides were good. No photo pass opportunities which was disappointing since we didnāt bring our phones in. Wouldnāt waste my money on this event again not worth the price.

We love this place. There is something for every age (and we have quite a span). The lines were not crazy, the wave pool is a great diversion if you are tired of lines for slides, there is always the lazy river as well. The new 'refillable drinks' cup is really helpful. I especially liked the fact that it was not overly busy. It was a nice day so I was concerned, but there was plenty of space. (Of course you have to get there early to get some reasonable chairs, but that has always been true. This time we had no trouble doing so and we didn't see anyone who couldn't find a place to sit.)
Our favorite!

Typhoon Lagoon was one of the best surprises of our ten-day Disney honeymoon. It is a great water park and added real value to our trip. We don't really have water parks in New Zealand so this was our first proper water park.
Our highlights were Crush N Gusher and the lazy river (though a lot of water parks have lazy rivers). The bits where you go upwards on the Crush N Gusher were cool, as was the bit at the end when you speed across the surface. And you could spend hours on the lazy river, it gets a bit busy, but you can navigate away from the crowded areas.
Most of the other slides are okay but not really great, although the park as a whole is thoroughly enjoyable. Mayday and Keelhaul are about the same as each other and worth doing a few times. Gangplank Falls is a bit of a fizzer and over too quickly - we can't help wondering why it doesn't go all the way down the mountain??
We didn't really like the Storm Slides - the ridges on the slides hurt our backs (wear a shirt) to the extent that it outweighs the enjoyment of the ride. The Hukana plunge was exciting but it makes your togs ride-up and again, there is a strong question over whether the discomfort outweighs the thrills.
MisAdventure Falls was one of our favourites, even though the theme was a bit bewildering. It had plenty of action was good fun. It was much more fun as a group of three than as a couple - so if there is a single rider and you are a couple, grab that single rider!
Other positives:
* Unlike most Disney parks, it is not a massive walk from the Bus, through the gate, and into the park itself - here you can be at the attractions in no time at all.
* The wait times were very low and you could pretty much do whatever you wanted without worrying too much about the crowds (a welcome luxury at Disney World!)
The negatives were:
* 10 dollars for locker rental was a bit expensive and put us off - we would have come for longer on more days if the price was more reasonable.
* The lockers by Tillys were not open for use when we were there - two staff told as they were "down" (after clearly thinking about what their excuse was supposed to be) which was a little un-Disney.
* There are far too many lifeguards watching you all the time in areas where the risk of harm is very small. One just kept telling off people for touching the rope that roped off two halves of the Crush N Gusher pool - the swimmers were just touching it, not even showing any signs of crossing it. If swimmers want to touch it so much which they clearly do, can't they put in a second "okay to touch" rope a bit closer in?
* The buses from any of the resorts are said to be every 20 minutes but always take longer than that, and you never get any genuine information on when the next bus will come. The cast members just say they run every 20 minutes, and when you point out that you have been waiting more than 20 minutes, the cast members shrug and ignore the conundrum, which is infuriating and made us suspicious that Disney might deliberately understate the wait times for this park. Isn't it a big deal for Disney not to meet the expectations it promises its guests?? Also, considering that the other Disney waterpark is closed, and the buses don't run to any other parks (only Disney resorts) from Typhoon Lagoon, it would be nice if they cared a bit more about when the buses will be along.
* There could have been a bit more theming, characters (there were none), and Disney music (or even just a variation of music instead of three songs on repeat) and its a bit disappointing that many slides are almost identical (e.g. the three Crush & Gushers).
Of all the Parks at Disney World, it is the one we have the most nostalgia for and the one we are most keen on returning to one day - maybe that is down to it being our first real waterpark experience. It was also AMAZING value when added to our Park Hopper tickets.

Great park with plenty of rides and shade when itās very sunny and itās still got free parking not like volcano bay which is $20. You're better off getting there at the rope drop and go to the Crush 'n' Gusher! Just wished the park opened earlier

Brilliant from start to finish, the wave pool, the rides, the food, everything was perfect, this is a must for anyone going to Disney

The park is just pure Disney a great day out for all ages and people staff are very helpful the do there jobs very well
we have been there for over 25 years now and it is as much fun now as the first time

Most people we spoke to wouldnāt think of rope dropping a water park, but we found it was a really effective way of getting things done. Turn up about 15 minutes before they open (which still gives you a lie in as they open later anyway) and youāll be right at the front of the queue. Save time by going in your swimwear and renting towels there, which are free for resort guests. To make things even easier, avoid taking any valuables, pay for everything with your magic band, and just leave your now small pile of belongings on a sunlounger while you get on the rides. Doing all this, we managed to ride Crush n Gusher three times back to back with no queue, and complete every ride in the park including more than one lap of the lazy river all before lunch time. Also donāt forget to bring watershoes as they will save burning your feet on the hot stone paths.

It was lovely to get away from the theme parks and rides for tg3 day. Loved the lazy river, great atmosphere and lots of fun.

We were there early and they opened the gate at 9:30 so you could walk in find a locker and such. We did the reserved umbrella $75, it was nice to have stuff in an area and not have to worry about it.
Wave pool is no joke will knock you down so keep eye on kids. Lazy river has a water fall that crashed down hard on you.... so keep in mind. Several raft rides, 2 family rides. Slides did light scratch kids similar to playground slides (if youāre an 80s kids) ;)
You can bring in cooler and pack it no glass though or alcohol... googles are fine no masks in wave pool.

Our favourite Disney park by far, it gets busy but isnāt crazy & queues & finding space is ok even in high season. We have a two year old who loved the beach area & shallow water paths. Prices are ok, better than uk theme parks & good vegan choices too. Husband went on the adult rides as our toddler napped & he enjoyed them. In 2 weeks we plan to visit 3/4 times with our all access Disney tickets.

The best wave pool I have ever been in!! Water is warm! Great rides. Something for everyone. FREE PARKING!!!! Can bring cooler into the park- no alcohol.

Great place to spend your day plenty to do plenty of loungers and good food and drinks helpful staff

Wasnt worth the 90$ per person but it was fun. Wave pool was good and lazy river was relaxing... only stay for 2 hrs could offer more disney merch.

Visited second week of November and the park was very quiet, arrived just after opening and didn't need to queue to get in. parked right by the entrance just by the bus pick up point. Easily found a shady spot and settled in for the day. Great to be able to go on all rides with only a very small queue and no queue on a couple. All staff we encountered were so helpful. The park was very clean but is showing its age against the newer water parks but an enjoyable day was had by all. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Just wish Disney would be consistent with what they accept for ID, wanted to use card for entry but couldn't so ended up paying cash.

My favorite of the 3 Disney parks we visited. Its cheaper, no Disney "My Expereince" app required, no gouging you for a place on the line, cool and refreshing, and just fun! As a Mom this was my most relaxed and fun day with my family at any of the parks. It did not require me to act as drill seargant pushing everyone from one attraction to the next because of "genie plus", averting long-lines etc., and trying to get a good value out of our expensive Disney vacation. We could relax and enjoy cruising down the lazy cool and fun lazy river again and again or one of the many fun and exciting slides. The lines on the slides all went at a decent pace so you did not feel like you were out in the burning sun for vey long if at all. There certainly were not the punishing long lines of the other parks. The only complaint is that the wave pool could get dicey. It was my teenage son's favorite but I find it somewhat dangerous, (as a former lifegaurd). The waves are high enough to surf on and can toss you underwater. There was a gang of grown-up men, some with gray hair even, surfing these waves and acting as a virtual 200 pound projectile rocketing from the back of the pool to the front. I was afraid I or any child would get slammed into by these guys who are ruinning the fun by acting as a clear hazard. I dont know why they allow this!
Lastly I recommend renting chairs and an umbrella, this made our visit so much more pleasant, comfortable and convenient.

Good waterpark but perhaps not as great as others in the Orlando area. An must of you're spending time at Disney though.

Having disappointing experiences at the main Disney theme parks we were pleasantly surprised to have a relaxing and fun day here.
The mood instantly starts well when you see a near empty parking lot and best of all - no parking charge!! During our weekās stay in Orlando in early March there had been a thunder storm everyday so the weather was somewhat unpredictable but thankfully by the time the thunderstorm came on the day of our visit to the waterpark we had decided we wanted to go anyway. But that was fine - it was around 2pm but the park wasnāt busy at all and so we actually managed to do everything on offer and have a very fun time doing so too.
This waterpark isnāt as good or thrilling as Blizzard Beach which we had done on a previous trip to Disney but it does offer something different and I would say is probably more suited to young families/ tweens as the majority of the slides were somewhat tame and majestic.
The wave pool however was the absolute highlight. Weāve never seen waves so big and exhilarating. Lots of fun but very powerful. Donāt underestimate how deep the water goes and how powerful the wave pool is.

I have done most of the water parks around the Disney area and still Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is my favourite. Great slides, lazy river, but for me, the best part is the gigantic wave they make in the wave pool. Body surf it, swim with it, dive into it, what ever you do with it, it is sheer fun. Loads of food and drink areas, even a locker area for your valuables. Definitely one to visit.

We visited at the end of January on a colder day which meant no locals went, hardly any tourists as it was classed as a cold day! To us it was fantastic, the staff were outstanding and welcoming, So friendly and happy to help. When we got to the park there was about 5 other guests and we went on everything and had access to everything really quickly.
We had donuts for breakfast from Joffreys and coffee. We purchased a refillable mug for soft drinks and that was brilliant for our daughters.
A brilliant park, with extremely friendly staff, would come here all the time over any other water park!

My girls loved the wave machine - it was great fun! They are serious waves and a great time for all. A great selection of rides ranging from big ones to more family/child friendly ones.
Lazy river was good fun, park was clean, and lots of options for burgers, hot dogs etc.
A great day.

We were gutted blizzard beach would be closed for refurbishment during our holiday but we loved typhoon lagoon so much it didnāt really matter.
Considering blizzard beach was closed, typhoon lagoon wasnāt that crowded and we didnāt wait for anything!
Favourites were misadventure falls and the lazy river. Remember to reapply sunscreen through the day, I got massively burnt after three laps of the lazy river.
So many sun loungers, you shouldnāt have a problem getting one.
Lots of different places for meals and snacks. Lowtide Louās would be my go to. If you donāt want a full meal, they do stuffed pretzels here and the jalapeƱo cheese one is great. Also recommend the strawberry colada.

Well landscaped water park up to the Disney standard.
Plenty to do whether you want to just chill or have an active day full of attractions.
Great break from the main parks.
Donāt miss the climb to the overlook area at the back of the park.

It is very relaxing on the lazy river but carrying the tubes and rafts up flights of stairs is exhausting.

Absolutely fantastic!! Visited with my husband. Hardly any queues for rides. Managed around 12 slides in 2 hours! Some great rides. Loves the wave pool- such good fun. Fantastic presence of life guards making everyone feel extra safe. Highly recommend.

I wanted to rate this a 5 BUT the only reason itās not is because they got rid of the snorkel attraction but didnāt replace it with anything else, they just covered it up and made it another lounging section with beach chairsā¦.pretty lame if you ask me. Putting that aside though, this is a fantastic water park. Great slides, especially Crush n Gusher, world class wave pool, fun shipwreck theming, and DOKE WHIP! Iām not sure if theyāre still selling the Hei Hei Cones anymore, but if they are you gotta try one! Itāspretty much pineapple and raspberry dole whip. Be warned, if youāre not a strong swimmer, be careful in the wave poolā¦this one isnāt for the faint of hearts, it gets pretty intense, I once got a black eye in that pool as a kid.

We visited here twice. One day it was 30c so very hot. Park is clean with plenty of space to get changed.
Lots of sun beds and chairs. Lazy river us a great way to chill in the Florida sun. They do cocktails, however (for uk citizens) bring your passport. They do t accept drivers licenses if they are not USA. Its also challenge 40. So if you look under 40 you will be asked for id. This doesnāt bother us at all. Cocktails went down very nicely.
Lots of rides especially for people who are not thrill seekers. The wave pool was great fun

This is my first time going to the glow party and it didn't disappoint. We had an awesome time celebrating my daughters birthday. From the time we entered we were greeted by cast members dancing and having a blast. It really set the mode. The music was blasting. They had some things decorated, a D.J stage with dancing and games. All the rides were open, the only bad thing was that the donut stand closed early, but I grabbed them because I came early to the park. They allow you to go in starting at 6. We will definitely go again next year.

I have been going to this park for many year well since it opened way back. For me it still remains the best water park in the world for one reason when you enter you are in a whole new world for the day.

Today, July 17, 2024, I went with my family and children on vacation from Puerto Rico to the Typhoon Lagoon water park. When we went to the Humunga Kowabunga attraction and while we were waiting in line the employee named Tevita from Tonga, Hawaii made a racist comment towards us who are Latinos (Puerto Ricans) and he started laughing and the people (Americans) who were in The line before us laughed at his comment. The employee told us: āTake off your shoes, glasses and Mexican tacos.ā My children and we feel very uncomfortable and saddened by this unfortunate situation. Employees like Tevita (Tonga, Hawaii) should not work in customer service, since this is in a park where so many tourist families with children from different countries visit. I hope this unfortunate incident does not happen again. Also when we went to rent the towels the employee (an older lady from Washington DC, I don't remember her name. She greeted very kindly the American people who were in line before us and when our turn came, not even a greeting of good morning or hello No thanks, he told us and treated us with arrogance. I hope the park administration guides its employees about improving customer service and zero tolerance for racism and discrimination against families based on race or nationality. All customers deserve respect, good treatment and service. Thank you!!!

There is nothing like going to a water park to beat the Florida heat, and Typhoon Lagoon is a great option. We arrived close to the parks opening to get a locker and shaded seats. Typhoon Lagoon has a great atmosphere, and a quirky theme, being a paradise that was wrecked by a storm, sending the shrimp boat Ms Tilly to the top of Mount Mayday.
The best part of the park is the massive wave pool, which is great place to chill and hangout, until Miss Tilly blows water from her stack, indicating that the big waves are coming, and the waves are big. The pool creates some huge waves that go over peoples head, in fact the wave pool is used for surfing lessons in the early morning for Disney hotel guests. The park also has a pretty long and relaxing lazy river that traverses around the park, you can relax and use the river to get around the park. The park has some really good raft slides, like Crush 'n' Gusher, Gang Plank Falls, and Miss Adventure Falls, all are pretty fun. On Mount Mayday, there are a few body slides, but Humunga Kowabunga is the best, maybe not the highest slide in Florida, but you can hit pretty high speeds sliding down.
One thing I like about Typhoon Lagoon is that it has some good spots to grab food, and even adults drinks, and not badly priced for being Disney. I had really good burger, while my daughter had really tasty chicken rice bowls w/ plantains. Admission is around $70, which is steep but it is Disney. Unlike the big parks, Typhoon Lagoon seems to retain it's charm, maybe because Disney tends not to do a lot of expansions on their water parks. The park does get crowded, especially in the summer months. On weekdays the crowds are a little smaller, or visiting on the colder months, the pools are heated.
Overall, Typhoon Lagoon has become my favorite water, it's great place to cool off and just a solid water park.

Went to this water park at the end of our holiday. Possibly the worst of the water parks in Orlando. They donāt display things like maximum numbers of persons for family rides so as a family of 5 we found we had to split the family...so rides are not family orientated unlike blizzard beach which is far better. They also donāt have many photographers like they do at other parks so not much use having the memory maker here.
Also watch out for the kids from camps their group leaders are very rude and think they can push there whole group in front of you, which the park attendants do nothing about.
The best part is the wave pool.

Spent a day at Typhoon Lagoon. It was expensive as we had to purchase our tickets on the day due to illness with other members of our group.
Loved the lazy river. The waves are great but when they run the strong waves they are very powerful and go on for much longer than we thought. We did start off standing in the water up to our chests but then moved to the shallow water. This was fine but if you do this move to where you can stand in ankle deep water as my teenage daughter got lifted by one of the waves and then badly scrapped her back, as the flooring is quite rough.
Didnāt understand their locker system, you go for either a small or large locker which is fine, a little steep at $15 for a large one that fits in 2 rucksacks. You pay for the locker and then are allocated one, put in your 4 digit memorable code and lock. You then have to remember the number of the llocker you were allocated and there are a lot of lockers. We ended up writing this on our hands and having to rewrite several times as it faded.
Loved all the great water rides. There is something for everyone.
Food was usual American unhealthy food, not impressed. We did walk all the way around to Typhoon Tillyās to get a sandwich and it was closed, so we gave up and had a burger.
The park wasnāt too busy and we would go back again.

Easy free parking, we were there early enough to bag a decent spot. Wave pool was brilliant as was the lazy river. Queues for the other rides were less than 15 minutes. Shame the rain came early, so took shelter at the bar and had a pint of Jai Alai and Angry Orchard for $20. Food was decent, all in all a very chilled day.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Disneyās āTyphoon Lagoonā water park in Orland, Florida, some would say - fun for the whole Family, laugh out loud! š¤£
I have one small, very formal complaint however. I regret to inform you, that the lazy river was, in fact, far too lazy.

Definitely worth the money. It's a good size park where you can get on everything. We got there before the park opened. We got a good parking spot...free. We split up
My husband grabbed a locker and the rest us got on line to enter the park. We were able to get 4 chairs with an umbrella but we didn't really need too because we spent the whole time in the water. We did most of the rides a couple of times. The lines were not bad at all. Under 5 minutes if that. Bring sliders or water shoes and a lot of sunblock and a sunshirt. The food was good. Can do the park in a few hours or can definitely spend all day.
Would return.

We spent most of one day just floating on the lazy river. Later we went on most of the slides and my 50 yr old daughter, all of them and she LOVED IT !!

Loved the water parks , and the massive Typhoon wave was not too packed and a lovley day to cool off and loved the lazy river

Still my favourite water park ! Has the best wave machine EVER. We even paid full price as it was the only Disney park we visited. I love the tropical plants. We enjoyed the tube rides, and loved crush and gusher.

Loved it.....well done ..not to crowded brilliant water slides...great for children....spotlessly clean.....go for it for a great day away from the parks....

This was such a fun event! My family doesn't normally do the water parks in Disney because we don't want to wait in lines during the super hot days. We took advantage of the specially ticketed event and it was worth EVERY PENNY!!!! We were able to meet Buzz, Woody & Jessie with ZERO line, ride attractions over and over with no wait at all and the DJ was amazing!!! My only issue was at the end of the night, nobody told us that we had to take a bus to Disney Springs and catch our resort bus from there. We waited more than 45 minutes until one of the bus drivers told us.

A great fun waterpark. As a family we preferred typhoon lagoon over blizzard beech and put it joint top with volcano bay. The massive wave machine is the big attraction of this park and the nice surroundings of the beech. The lazy river is similar to the other water parks and i felt the lines were a lot shorter than the other parks for the slides. You can also meet lilo and stitch throughout the day at this park which is another great appeal.

I can see how this might be fun if it werenāt crowded but it was so crowded, so hot, impossible to find a place to sit or to get food. Not an enjoyable day. Not a good rest day from the parks as some suggested. At least not in the high season. Better off to stay at your hotel pool. If you do go, reserve an umbrella ahead or go earlier in the day.

We had already done Blizzard Beach when on holiday at Disney in August 2018 so me and my partner just had to do this water park too and we pre booked a cabana along with his sister and her family who were also on holiday with us. The cabana had waitress service and Louisa was great and lovely to chat to and nothing was too much trouble. We also got sippy cups for our soft drink refills. Slides and flumes were great most staff were great although some I have to say compared to the rest of the Disney resort were a little unfriendly whilst I understand health and safety is a must and rules have to be abided sometimes the attitudes needed to be checked, thankfully this was a minority. Wave pool was fun and there were lots of places to eat and drink and toilet and changing room facilities throughout.

Water Parks Orlando Ranked
1. Aquatica
2. Typhoon Lagoon
3. Volcano Bay
4. Blizzard Beach
Aquatica is still the best for kids!

Typhoon Lagoon Glow nights was a great time for our whole family! No lines, no heat, and a lot of fun. Special thanks to Yaradeliz from Puerto Rico for outstanding customer service in getting our cabana set up. This was the highlight of the week for my kids!

Spent a few days here during our holiday in wdw. Great park, great fun water rides, watch out for them waves! plenty of places to lay in the sun not much shade but that's what the pools are for... Cooling off. Food good selection. Great place to relax. Shop fully stocked with pool related items. Place to go to top up your tan

We live only 1 hour away so we go 4+ times a year.
Yesterday we had great weather so we were at rope drop 10 am.
We have no issues with crowds but do not like mobs and yesterday it was a mob
by 11 am. Lazy river was a parking lot early. Lots of babies, swim diapers, who knows.
People were having fun and thats great but for us we got out of the water by 12:30.
With Blizzard Beach not open due to lack of life guards everyone goes to Typhoon Lagoon. We are Florida pass holders with water parks so our cost is nil.
Park was very clean and workers were great. We will go back when school is back in.
Still a fun place if you are ok with many many people.

This was our first visit to Typhoon Lagoon and I was really looking forward to a lazy day away from the hustle of Disney's other parks. And I wasn't disappointed. We got there early for 'rope drop', found the lockers which are $10 for the day & dumped our towels on one of the many sunbeds and jumped onto the nearest ride. And what a great ride the whole day was. The rides are fab, facilities are great and is hands down one of the best water parks with the strongest and highest wave pools I've ever encountered. This water park is fab!

So park is excellent. It's my favourite so 5 out of 5 but wanted to share what I thought of the umbrellas we reserves to help others decide if it's worth it
We bought it mainly because you get towels and we didnt want to carry them around with us all day but actually everyone In The park can get free towels
The area is slightly quieter so less through traffic
But you can get the same bed and towels everywhere in the park
If you arrive at opening you'll be able to get beds and an umbrella so I wouldn't bother.
If the parks full and you want to arrive later then could be a good idea
But generally not worth the $50 just to reserve a bed

Expecting something else, Really disappointed, arrived at 11:00 am, had and hour, when we got there, hoping to enjoy the park ātil 6:00 pm, at 12:54 pm we bought our lunch, and while we where enjoying at 3 or so we had to get out of the water and rides just because of a little rain, stayed there to see if they would allow us back in, as it had stopped and to wait until they announced it was ok, it never happened!!! As I asked an employee, just tells me there will be a storm coming which there was none.

Had a great day at the water park! Arrived just at rope drop and although a bit chaotic we managed to hire towels (about $3 each) and find sunbeds so we had a base for the day. Found the lockers handy and saves carrying your valuables around with you.
Wave pool was busy and although most of our party enjoyed it, you do need to be careful as it almost knocked me over and I was only at the very edge of the pool as far away as possible!
Did some thrill rides and some family tyre / tube rides.
Drink and snack prices consistent with other Disney parks.
An enjoyable day.

This was a special offer on check in day if you are staying in a Disney resort.
It was a hot and busy day.
There is so much to do there.
Things for older and younger kids. The entire family had a blast! Waterslides, lazy river, wave pool and much more!

Our Grandchildren loved the water park. Especially the waves. They loved all the other rides too, but the waves make everyone happy.

Really nice lazy river. They even have a variety of floats to choose from. The wave pool is no joke, very strong waves but a lot of fun. Put your children in life vests! Free parking. Plenty of free water cups at all of the drinking stations so it's not even necessary to bring a bunch of water into the park. The slide called Storm slide was really kid friendly. Our 8 year old loved it.

We had a BLAST! With teenage daughters, you never really know what you are going to get. They had a great time. It was busy, but not too crowded. Prices were a little expensive, but what you would expect at a resort park like this. The wave pool produced a MASSIVE wave, much larger than I have ever seen at any other wave pool. The Lifeguards were alert and ready at all times. When the "crash" sounded (meaning the single large wave was coming), the Lifeguards immediately stood up and focused on the swimmers. I am an "emergency professional", and I felt very comfortable with them watching my kids and family. Well done, Disney. Although the Disney "script" replaced "boys and girls" with "friends", it sounded natural and welcoming. I felt no political tension while I was there - at all! What a wonderful experience! If you are able to go, you should go!!
Oh, side note - The nautical flags and the entrance (see picture) were so cool - spelling out a warning that there are "Piranha in Pool" LOL!! So much fun!

Great fun at this park. Wave pool is excellent especially when set to monster waves, and the wait times for the rides were chose weren't excessive. Given the choice between TL and Blizzard Beach we'd probably just opt for TL, albeit Summit Plummet is probably the best ride between the two parks.

Typhoon lagoon is compared to the new water parks somewhat retro; the rides are slightly dated and slower but itās a classic and a must for any family , queues were short and there were plenty of sun beds . Bonus is no charge for parking , food was good , a nice coffee shop too, wave pool is awesome and definitely spent the most time there , letās hope that This Park doesnāt change we love it š

Now I'm not a fan of water parks as I don't do most of the rides but this is my second favourite park.
When it comes to a wave pool I have never experienced better but its the rest of the park thar brings it down for me and it's the same old story money making over customers experience or it certainly looks that way.
When you enter the park there are lockers $10 or $15 each for the day now the park is really busy its 11.00 o a Friday but no issue 2 lockers between 5 of us meant the $15 lockers. From there the chance of getting a seat let alone a sunbed was non existent so plenty of the stuff you pay for not so much the "free" stuff and to be honest for the amount of people that are coming in there was no chance of a lot of people getting a seat there just wasn't enough space. Finally we "found" 3 chairs put out stuff down and went for food and refillable mugs. First stall no refillable mugs left and only 1 hot dog really its 11.00. Eventually found chicken tenders half way round the park. If you want a light meal buy the kids meals 2 chicken tenders, small fries, cookies and a bottle of water for $2 less than the adult meal 4 chicken tenders small fries.
The lazy river was so packed it didn't move that's after you Eventually find a ring once again the numbers don't add up.
Without the wave pool I wouldn't give this place 3 stars but its that good it earned the park 2 extra stars. Probably overly busy as blizzard beach is still closed. That seems like a poor bit of planning having a water park closed during the height of summer but what do I know. I think I'll give it a miss for the rest of this trip.

We were super excited to take advantage of the resort guest special and free water park day .
This water park has it all . Family tube slides . A crazy wave pool . No seriously , the waves were nuts . Relaxing lazy river. Kids area and real sand beach .
So happy we ventured here for a few hours as we all had the best time.
If staying in resorts it takes 2 buses to get here or one quick uber ride .

We rented one of the beachcomber shacks! Worth every penny!!! We traveled with our 10 month old as well as our 2 older boys (10+) and got the cabana so we had a place to keep the baby out of the sun and make her comfortable for nap. So much more than we thought. We had a mini fridge stocked with free water bottles, a locker for our items, lots of chairs, a fan, free towels, and a wonderful attendant, Emma who was there for anything we needed. She was fantastic. We were able to text her for food/drinks, more towels & water. She was so sweet and took amazing care of us. It made our day so much more relaxing and fun and with the heat the baby was super comfortable.
Thank you Emma! You made our day so special!

I've been going to Typhoon Lagoon since 2003, with my last visit being in October 2018 and I still think it's the best waterpark in Orlando! It's nice and easy-going, the lazy river is great just to unwind if you don't fancy lying on a sun lounger.
The slides are great, not as rough as some of the others you can find in Orlando. There's plenty of raft and rubber ring slides if body slides aren't for you.
There are plenty of sun loungers spread out around the park, we found a spot that was really quiet as you walk towards the right hand side of the park as you walk in where the shark swim used to be.
The wave pool is fantastic, there are plenty of water parks in the area that have tried to re-create what they have but it doesn't come close. Not ideal for the less confident swimmers as the waves are huge and will knock you off your feet, but it's so much fun.
Towels are complimentary if you're staying in a Disney hotel, and if you're on the dining plan there are plenty of QS locations to eat at. The gift shop at the front of the park has everything you need if you do forget something, I didn't bring any pool shoes/flip flops with me so I picked up some Little Mermaid Havaianas to wander around the park in. There's also free parking which is a big bonus if you have your own car, not sure what the buses are like from the resorts but I imagine they run quite regularly.
Overall, I love this waterpark and I will continue to visit on my future holidays to Orlando.

Great time with our 16 year old nephew and 11 year old son- they had a blast in the wave pool - family fun on the slides - adult drinks while sitting in the edge of the wave pool- pure Disney magic and fun!

Brilkiant place for a chilled day between parks. My favourite if the two, I love the slides the lazy river and the theme of the park.

Special event? This was one of the worst experiences at Disney we ever had. First, we have been going to Disney at least 1 a year since 1992. I fell in love with it immediately! It was the first trip my husband took me on before we were married. We took each niece and nephew here, brought our parents, had a family reunion and when we adopted our two young boys from state foster care, we brought them here. Weāve done 5 Not so scary Halloween parties, Iāve taken the Wine course doing the food and wine festival and have gone down for the flower show.
Now cut to the Christmas party. This was the biggest let down ever! It was Lame. One of the perks of going to an event was the crowd are smaller. Not in 2023. We could move. Then to our surprise, you needed to purchase the Genie and do Virtual to get in some rides. Again, never had to even get a fast pass before. So now I had to buy a special event ticket, the purchase a genie + and then wait for the ability to do virtual queue.
And worst part of the night, the cookies sucked. It was a total waste of money. We left after an hour of being there.

First of all no paying for parking like the other Disney parks. The main pool with the big wave machine is awesome & great fun. The waterslides are OK - the ones at the other parks are better in my opinion.

We decided to try the after-hours ticket event hoping for a smaller crowd, good choice.
The water park was temporarily closed when we got there due to storms so we had time to walk around and see the park and get a feeling where everything was before the park reopened. Our ticketed event was from 8 pm to 11pm. You were allowed to come in as early as 6pm. The park opened and the wait times were very short for most of the rides. I HIGHLY SUGGEST renting a locker. The $15 dollar fee is WELL worth it. We had left our sandals and shirts on chairs to come back 2 hrs later to find them gone. Thankfully our valuables, change of clothes AND our towels were in the locker.
This was our first visit. The wave pool was fun and the wave is no joke! HUGE! I am not sure if we would return to this water park or not. We did everything but the body slides. We were also able to do the rides we wanted to more than once with a less than 10-minute wait, even shorter in most cases.
The food we had was great. I am not sure if it was for the ticketed event or not but I had a chicken kabob dish that was amazing at under $12l

We spent a really fun three and half hours here towards the end of a two week holiday in Florida. It was very relaxing. We loved the wave pool! Remember to re apply your sun cream as itās so easy to get burnt in the heat of the day. Itās a pity they donāt open earlier (like Volcano Bay) for people wishing to avoid the hottest part of the day. Disney know how to run a good theme park though. Great food options (including healthy ones), plenty of drinks stations, clean restrooms. $10 for a locker is a bit steep but what do you do?! Lazy river was nice before midday, then became so busy with people that it wasnāt so much fun as you just bump and bounce into one another. Overall, a nice trip out together as a family.

Well organized and fun with some hours there. But the āriver rideā was to crowded and the few guards we saw did not pay attention to what was going on. If you do this circle donāt do it when it is crowded, specially with smaller kids or females. Plenty of idiots and pervs in the water.

Visited as a family of 5 and had a great time.
We arrived for park opening and I would encourage this. It meant we could quickly do so many of the flume rides before the hordes descend over the coming hours.
Good rides, nice stuff, seemed well run overall.

Not a lot has changed within the last 20 years, only some technical improvements.
But that also means this great park keep going based on its lovely combined assets - activities and relax.
A pity they had to close the "Shark Reef", which was an attraction different from all the other ones - diving with the fish.
But if it was for the sake of the fishes (or zoological reasons) Disney should think to create another easy diving attraction - even with animatronics or another scenario, since many people loved this activity.

Please donāt get me wrong. Iām not a Karen/Kevin who do not respect staff who deal with the public. Customers can behave badly and I sympathize with those who work in customer service as I do.
I am a big Disney fan. My family and I have had several annual passes and we have been 50+ times to all the theme parks with 99.9% positive experiences.
With that being said, Please excuse my grammar and angry tone since I am still upset and at the park.
My experience started with buying a $14.50 refillable beer cup and returning to my family to find that they were gone. They were asked to leave the area because my son was an inch too tall to play at the smaller slides area. Donāt get me wrong, I understand height requirements for safety. This wasnāt a matter of safety but a petty āwe need to follow the rules to the Tā matter. But I shrugged it off.
So I am looking for them since they were asked to leave the area. I walk a little bit farther with beer in hand which was apparently a no-no. I understand the rules say no drinks in the pool area, which I really didnāt think I was in since there was seating and I was asked to please go to the edge of the area. Iām like - okay, sorry mam and walked off where I was stopped again and told to turn around by a different cast member. I felt trapped. I went back to the other staff member whom was obviously frustrated with me that I had returned and reminded me that I was breaking the rules and that āI either need to drink it all now, dump it out or leave the parkā. I tried to calmly explain to her I wasnāt even trying to consume the beverage, I was just trying to reach my family- wherever they were. She wasnāt interested in my case so instead of have an altercation I dumped my $14.50 beer into the garbage. That was run-in number one with the gestapo at Third Reich Lagoon. Sorry for the comparison, itās probably not appropriate but like Iām said, Iām riled up.
I finally found my family in the lazy river. My son swam to me at the loading stairs. I went to the stairs to help him up. Thatās when gestapo number two who was patrolling the area disciplined me āif youāre not getting in you need to get off the stairsā. I gently stated, āIām simply just trying to help my 8 year old outā since he flipped his inner tub trying to get out. She seemed more interested in finding something wrong from her āmanifesto handbookā, than assisting in safety. The manners of the cast is not very āDisneyā.
Our third incident occurred when I took my family to the next smallest water slide, since my son was an inch too tall to play at the smaller modest slides. My wife, son and wife all proceeded down the slides. My daughter was a little scared since she was more comfortable at the kiddo slides. I held her hand up to the slide when I hear shouting behind me⦠āOne person per slide, no exceptionsā, I told her āI was sorry that she was just nervous and I was assisting her and cheering her onā. The cast member rolled her eyes and said- āif youāre at the slide you need to goā. Now if we had been there more than the 10-15 seconds that it was taking and there was actually a line- not actually the two people who showed up behind us with three empty slides available on a relatively slow day, yeah ok. The āmove-it-or-lose-itā attitude might have been justified. It certainly wasnāt Disney.
Now I havenāt asked to see a manager in 10+ years. Itās not something I normally do. Itās a little Karen/Kevin kind of move. Perhaps I am just having a bad day. Maybe the cast members I dealt with weāre having a bad day. I donāt know. But as I wait here at over 45 minutes to speak with a customer service representative I just give up. Iām leavingā¦.

Lots of fun for the whole family! Lots to see and do. Lots of parking. Bring some good walking shoes..

This is the second time we've been to Typhoon Lagoon. I would pay every cent of the entire Florida vacation just to sit in this lazy river all day. I have older teens, so I can just stay in the lazy river while they go do their thing - the river is wide, the perfect temperature, takes about 25 minutes to make a full circle, and has those chair seats that are so much more comfortable than tubes. There are also a few tame family-style raft rides that were a nice touch. The wave pool is unique and very fun. Will be back for sure.

This was one of our favorite days on a recent trip to Florida. It was the Sunday of President's Day Weekend, so we figured with it being pretty warm, we would be in for some crowds. Not even close. We walked on every slide except for MAYBE a 2 minute wait for the crush'n gusher. There are a good variety of slides for the younger ones, and even their "drop slide" isn't as intense as the "big water parks". The lazy river is nice and long and relaxing, although I would admit some of the effects were not on. But otherwise, everything looked in good shape, and the food was surprisingly great. We would come back over and over if this is the experience every time.

This is a great Waterpark to break up your Disney Parks. Free parking. An entrance price that is expected for a water park. We opted to rent an umbrella and a couple chairs. We were glad we did as it seemed to be enough places to hang out but no sun coverage without paying for it. We arrived and the weather looked iffy. We figured we would get a couple hours in before we were forced to leave. Fortunately that worked out to 5 and 1/2 hours with one break for lighting. We used the break for lunch. It got us away from the water. The staff ran trivia games to entertain during the break.. Many slides that the lines moves real well. Some for all ages. The lazy river was relaxing. The wave pool was crazy. Body surfing for those that can. Lifeguards kept a great eye on everyone. Well in typical Florida fashion the skys opened up and chased us out about 2 hours early. All in all a great day at the Waterpark

We had a lovely day here. We were lucky enough to get a family cabana, which was worth doing for a private space, it also came with unlimited soft drinks. It is a shame that Blizzard Beach was closed as we used to love visiting both Disney water parks, I hope that they can have both parks open at the same time soon. There are some really fun attractions here, the water coaster is great fun, as well as some raft rides and body slides. It is a shame that they got rid of the shark pool as I loved this experience! As much as I love this park, I have to say that Volcano Bay has the edge over this one!

Favourite water park at disney
There's lots of different water slides to go on. Would recommend the crush n gusher water slide as its my favourite you do have to carry your floaty up stairs tho.
The wave pool is fun too
Food is also pretty good

This was a life threatening experience for us, and Iām a strong swimmer. As the pools were shut before we got there so we had no forewarning of what to expect. There were no signs about the dangers to children that I could see. We went into the lagoon which was still at the time, for a splash in the water and before I knew it, an enormous wave was coming towards my seven, nine year old and I- I was knocked off my feet and my two young children were swept away from me. I thought they must have drowned by the time I resurfaced and I have remained in shock since. It was a terrible end to our otherwise lovely stay here. I cannot find an email site to properly complain to, but I will be telling everyone I know not to take children here. Blizzard beach was lovely, Typhoon was a death trap for kids.

Excellent day out for all ages. We went with twin 5 year olds. They loved the lazy river, the wave pool and the family raft ride. There were lots of other things but we were happy just doing these with the children. Would definitely recommend it here!

Disney has two great water parks, but our preference is Typhoon Lagoon. It is a water park with excellent individual thrill rides and coasters - water shoves you round the slides in an inflatable - and many family type rides also on inflatables. There's also the lazy river which is relaxing under you drift under a water fall !! The wave pool erupts every so often but watch as it has a fair bit of force. The long high slides are great fun too but you do hurtle down at a fair speed. Then there's the shark reef to swim through - the biggest shock is the temperature of the water !! From the last time we visited they appear to have turned some of the previously public areas are now reserved areas for hiring cabanas.

The one day pass was worth it, on a 93 degree day, typhoon lagoo. Was the theme park to be to keep wet and cool. Uber driver drops u off at main gate, the food was basic, finger licking goods. Fun rides , the switch watch brackets let you know when to return to your slopes , great idea using that device. The Typoon wave is definitely , string tides pushes you way back.

A couple of the slides here are easy access for people with limited mobility, a nice paced environment With a BIG wave pool and some enjoyable slides/rides and the queues were not that big on the day we went (in August!)

We were here as part of the disney resort stay promo. We enjoyed the huge wave pool. It really gets big waves. Lazy river was nice as well. It took about 20-25min to leisurely float 1 round. Just like Blizzard Beach, chairs and loungers are not adjustable and do not recline. There isn't much shaded areas. You'll have to rent an umbrella.

We went to the H20 glow night and were very disappointed. There were at least 2000 people there, maybe more. We book after hours for less crowds and this definitely was not the case. The only reason we did this at night was the lower crowd levels, it is much cooler at night and uncomfortable walking around so there is no reason to do it.

Good rides, nice layout and some good snack options. Wave pool is great, albeit some people struggle to swim or stay upright in it!

We spent a few days at this park, the big tidal wave is the reason to be here, but the lazy river isn't bad either.
Best waterpark we've been to.

Excellent time with family at this waterpark . We went on a Wednesday and very little lines to get on rides and definitely not crowded . It was a hot day and we would definitely do again . Disney staff did a great job ! Wave pool was awesome !

Wifey, Friend, Friends Mum ( in a wheelchair) and friend Neurodiverse Son visited here as part of our 14 days in Orlando.
The weather was HOT with very little shade ( unless you wanted to buy or rent it !!. The wave machine was building 7-8ā waves which made it very hard of a small child or our wheelchair bound friend who we managed to get into the 18ā shallows and was promptly washed away by a wave !
After 5 hours weād had enough and came homeā¦.we had Disney tickets so this was included and we didnāt have to spend the $70 dollars entry feeā¦.

If youāre really wanting āthrillā water rides this probably isnāt for you. But they have tons of awesome options (attractions, food, drinks). Their wave pool is unbeatable. Highly recommend if you are considering.

This is a day you should not miss out on, it gives you time to relax , re energize and get yourself ready to take on the Disney parks and all the shopping outlets š Orlando has to offer!!
