No Drive Through Allowed at ALL

By Brenda W |

It is very pretty but I did not find anywhere that you could not drive through and enjoy the area on your own. We read that it was pet friendly, and it is, except the tram. Although that's understandable, that's 2 hours in the car for my shihtzus. And again, no option to drive through on our own with them. It would have been a 12 mile walk round trip for us. Please put somewhere on your website that this entire area us closed off to vehicles.

Nice attraction but overpriced.

By BaronVonL |

We spent an afternoon here and enjoyed our time. We took the team tour and enjoyed the history. There is a lot to do here and the park is will maintained. We found that the process are a bit high for what the attraction is. The staff were friendly. Is a one and done your of attraction.

One of my favorite places

By dajcharper |

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing place. So much care and beauty put into each area. This was our second trip in a year and our teens loved it as much as we did both times. Tour guides James first time and Ray this time add so much to the experience. I have told so many people about this place and next time we are In Missouri we will go back again.

AMAZING

By shannon |

We were amazed at how beautiful it was and can’t wait to come back. Our tour guide Barry Arwood did a fantastic job and we will try to request him when we come back.

Amazing Wildlife Tram Tour with our Toddler

By Katja |

We had an amazing day at Dogwood Canyon. We visited with our 18 month old toddler and did the tram tour. Our guide, Joe, was great! He shared a lot of interesting facts, was friendly, funny and very accommodating with our little one. The tour was 2 hours but went by so fast. I was concerned that it was going to be too long for our toddler, but he did great! He could snack during the ride, and there were a couple of spots where he could walk around and feed fish. Just as he was getting a little restless we came to the wildlife area and he was fascinated by the bison, elch, etc.

After the tour, we walked around a bit and got lunch at the grill. The food was really good and the service was great!

Good for a horseback ride!

By Christa Z |

We went on a horseback ride and it was very professional, safe, and the staff was friendly. We had a good time! The horses were well behaved (well, as well behaved as horses can be).

Dogwood Canyon Tram Ride

By marlene e |

Our family which included grandkids had the pleasure of taking a tram ride today through Dogwood Canyon. We had the 8:30 slot and the temperatures were not hot this early so it was perfect. Our guide and driver was Debee. She was delightful to say the least with so much enthusiasm and knowledge. She was willing to help with photos and entertained the tour with wonderful stories. She even knew the Elk and Bison's names! Dogwood Canyon is spectacular! From stunning waterfalls to amazing trout ponds it is a destination that is a must if you are traveling to the Branson area!!!

Beautiful Retreat

By Trid |

Beautiful area and great hiking. So well laid out. Last time we were here we rented bikes and rode the entire trail, so worth it! This time we took the tram ride and Rachel was an amazing guide, we really enjoyed her! We learned some thingse Missed just doing the bike ride. Highly recommend!

The treehouse was the best.

By Martha S |

We bought the package for dogwood Park and top of the rock. This was the better of the 2. It's very pretty. You can walk or rent a bicycle or pay for a tour. We walked.they have a tree house built by Pete of tree house masters. It was fun going in it. The walk is on a paved path. They were mowing leaves but would stop when you went by. The chapel is pretty. We could see the trout in the stream. They have a gift shop with restrooms. The falls are man made. The covered bridge was interesting. It was a nice time. We , luckily went days before a storm cane through and the leaves fell.

Tram ride at Dogwood Canyon

By Teresa B |

Tram tour was absolutely amazing. Tour guide Rick was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. Will definitely be back again. Beautiful scenery.

Loving the outdoors!

By Michele S |

Sprawling trees, walking paths, and manmade waterfalls. It felt good to be outside and taking in the fresh air. Dining in the lodge and the unexpected gift shop was a nice touch. Tram rides available for an additional fee, but we chose to walk.

Hidden Gem

By Rex S |

Recommended by a friend. Beautiful setting, wonderful facilities, informative. The trolley ride was comfortable and informative. Lots of parking. Clean bathrooms. Great exhibits. Friendly personnel. Most importantly, all proceeds go to education and conservation.

Highly recommend!

By Dawn B |

This place was amazing! So beautiful!! We absolutely loved the 2-hour open tram tour! We saw beautiful waterfalls, incredible scenery, got close to bison and elk, and had a very knowledgeable guide to tell us about the topography and history!

Beautiful area

By nataly02 |

This was worth the $40.00 per person. It’s a two hour tram ride through the park. Our driver was great. He was very knowledgeable and full of dad jokes. We learned a lot about the history of the park and saw some animals also. After the ride we checked out the treehouse, gift shop and museum before heading off to Top of the Rock.

Fantastic experience

By ClaraCarroll |

Rachel was a fantastic tram guide. The trails, restaurant, museums and the animals were enjoyable, relaxing and informative. Thank you for a great day!💗

Wonderful place

By Katrina B |

This was a beautiful place to visit. We had a wonderful guide for the tram ride, she did an excellent job. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

Great family trip to this little piece of heaven

By Ryan C |

Wow, what an interesting place to visit. Johnny Morris did a wonderful job preserving this little piece of heaven for all of us to enjoy. The staff was super accommodating and nice. Rachel was our tour guide and she was so energetic and engaging and made our tour wonderful. We opted to get the tram ride which was an out and back route that turned around at the wildlife habitat. Can't say I have been that close to Bison, long horn cattle, and elk all in one trip. So amazing!!

There is also a great playground/treehouse for the kids (and adults) to explore. Also the nature center is so informative and engaging as well. All around a great place to spend a day or partial day.

Beauty at its finest

By MJ |

This nature preserve is beautiful. Any easy 6 mile round trip walk on paved trails. It’s good for the soul. We were there when the leaves were changing and it was just something more brilliant around every corner. I love waterfalls and this hike has many to sit and listen to. At first I thought it was expensive but at the end of the day, I was glad we took the time, spent the money to see this area of the Ozarks. Just beautiful….

Wonderful Experience!

By Allyson C |

First time to go. Rode the tram tour in the afternoon. Be sure to make on-line reservations ahead of time. They were telling people they were sold out for the day. It is a wonderful place! Beautifully landscaped and laid out. Waterfalls, streams, and bridges everywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed the tram ride and would do it again! Next time I would eat at the Mill Restaurant and walk around more. Was a little chilly when we went. Be sure to dress in warm layers in fall and winter for the tram ride!

Inconsiderate rules and staff

By Daniela P |

Some of the staff has no empathy for customers that didn’t make tram reservations in advance and are even happy to say they don’t have any way to accommodate. This attitude is opulent, especially when they allow the tram to go with empty seating. They shared that people pay and make reservations in advance and at times are late for their tram departure, so they would catch the customer up to the first 30 minutes. I rented a bike and saw that nobody was caught up so I asked to pay and get on the tram at the 30 minutes mark, but because the person that reserved the seats didn’t show up and didn’t cancel they couldn’t sell me a ticket even if I was there!!! They have no way in the system to sell an extra ticket unless they refund one. Two managers explained the rules to me, but no matter what the rules are - they must be changed - as they drove the tram with empty seats and didn’t allow a guest to purchase ticket for a vacant spot to enjoy seeing the buffaloes. This is going out of the way to say “no” to a customer, and one of the women in the gift shop was happy I didn’t get on- I just couldn’t believe the attitude of enjoying someone’s misfortune. The mill is not working , too. I think the place can be managed better, find ways to say “yes” and learn/do what it means in the scriptures you have posted on the property, because without love and compassion for your customers - you got nothing.

Must see and do - Dogwood Canyon - Tram

By Cinda W |

If you come to Branson, you need to schedule an afternoon here in beautiful Ozark Nature. Plan to take the tram. It's so so interesting. If you like to hike, ride a bike then this is the place. Please look for the trams rides that will include the breakfast and dinner. We did the tram with the dinner afterwards. It was spectacular. Will repeat again and want to do the breakfast one. Especially, when the animals are out in the monring. You truly need to get back to nature and teach your children. This is the place to be!!

Great nature park with a "must do" tram ride

By Psyprof51 |

Beautiful nature park with activities for the family. We also ate in the restaurant and enjoyed great service, excellent food and drinks for our family group of 13. Make sure you take the tram ride to enjoy the park!

Great fun

By Karen B |

The tram tour was great. We had James who was personable, informative and funny. A great 2 hour tour. Be sure to book early.

Worth the trip!

By Sara S |

We loved visiting Dogwood Canyon! We did the 1 hour horseback ride and biked the entire paved trail. The horseback ride was great! They drive you in a van to the stables and choose a horse for you based on your size and experience. The handlers were very good at telling all of us information about our horse's personality to help us know what they might do on the ride. We had a riding group of 9 people and 4 handlers mixed in. They were so good about watching how we were doing and giving us tips on keeping our horses in line going through the little creeks and up/down hills, watching out for deer and other wildlife that might spook the horses, and our ride went great! We saw a young bald eagle along our way and several deer. The horses were very gentle and easy to keep on track with the group. At the end the handlers will take a picture of your group with your phone if you want. Great memory! We also decided to bike the paved trail. It's an out and back, total 6.4 miles. The trail is shared with walkers and the trams. It's a very easy ride, well marked, and lots of waterfalls to see along the way. Towards the end you ride into Arkansas. We had lunch at the restaurant. It was very good. If you purchase the admission online with the gift certificate for food/gift shop, print before you go if you are able. It created more work for the waitress since I didn't have them printed. Also, be prepared to show the gift card from the link in your email - the ones saved to my apple wallet didn't work with the scanning system at the restaurant. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Family Trip to Branson!

By Hodgyk |

This was our FAVORITE spot to visit for the whole trip! Enjoyed the tram tour where we saw waterfalls, beautiful rock formations, streams and rivers. We also saw buffalo and elk which was so cool! Our tour guide Angela was AMAZING! After the tour we enjoyed the museum, the treehouse and the delicious food at the restaurant. We later took a bike tour and had so much fun as a family, remember your water! We all have said this was our favorite day of our trip!

Loved this place.

By Patricia L |

Absolutely loved it!! There is so much to do and see. The scenery is beautiful. There are so many waterfalls. We spent the morning walking around and seeing the displays. Ate lunch at the restaurant. Great food. In the afternoon we took the wildlife tram tour. Our tour guide was Angela. She was wonderful!! She did a great job stopping at key areas, letting us know when photo opportunities were coming up and telling us the history at each stop. Getting to see the elk and bison so close was big treat. The babies were adorable. We will definitely do it again. It is pricey, but worth it.

The Love of Nature

By Nikki W |

Had a wonderful day at Dogwood Canyon. Weather was awesome on September 28, 2023. We had a very informational tram driver, Rick. Saw elk that came right up to the tram, bison and long-horned cattle. This was a very relaxing day with beautiful scenery: waterfalls, caves, streams and rolling meadows. We even heard the bugling of the elk. What a great day!

Great Experince!!

By familyinlouisiana |

We visited this park and was happy we made this decision. Everything is beautiful and well kept. We did the tram tour and Debbie “Deb” was our guide. She nailed everything on point. She was so knowledgeable about all the animals and points of interest. We give her a great big thumbs up!!

A Delightful, informative Don’t Miss!

By Judy B |

Thoroughly enjoyed our Tram tour with Barry! The park was beautiful & such a delight to experience the vast variety of nature, as well as many of Gods creatures! Beside the beauty & wonder of the canyon, Barry made our trip not only educational but fun. He was such a delightful, knowledgeable and hospitable host ! Highly recommend making a visit !

Great All Day Adventure

By George M |

This was also actually a 5. Johnny Morris did it again. We made pretty much an all day of it here. I highly recommend taking the Tram excursion. Our guide was Bobby. He was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The Tram is about 2 hours of visiting this wonderful well kept property. The Tram makes a number of stops to stretch your legs and see the water falls up close. We were glad we did this. Then we had lunch at the park restaurant. The food was a bit pricey but was very good. The view from the restaurant was fantastic. Then we decided to do the Horseback riding. Needless to say it was a good time. The Lady Wranglers were knowledgeable and well caring. The stable was spotless and the horses were well fed and cared for. We like riding so this was another activity that we greatly enjoyed.

Really enjoyed the tram tour

By Tracy B |

Dogwood Canyon was a beautiful park to visit. We took the tram ride and our guide Joe was both entertaining and informative. This was our first time here, but hopefully not the last.

Beautiful nature, expertly presented

By Kim E |

Beautiful outdoor space, expertly maintained. I loved the the tram ride — funny, informative, great access to the longhorns, elk, and bison — and the waterfalls were amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

Must add to your Branson experience.

By Monty T |

Everyone should experience Dogwood Canyon in the Fall to see the leaves. It was beautiful. We're definitely going back in the Spring to see the Dogwoods in bloom. I'm told normally between April 1- April 15 is the best time.
The great thing is you can experience Dogwood Canyon in three ways: Walk, Bike (bring your own or rent one there), or Tram. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day!

Beautiful

By Pam V |

A must if you're in the area of Springfield or Branson...worth the drive from Springfield....we did the bike tour and were very surprised to find that close to the halfway point in our bike ride that we crossed over into Arkansas...the bikes need to be refreshed...brakes a little iffy...seats kinda rough...but it was beautiful....and certainly worth the trip...the trams were full the day we went unless we wanted to wait for 3 hours so that is when we decided to bike it...again...most definitely worth the trip to this place...it was gorgeous

Beautiful surroundings FUN guide.

By Departure44516073265 |

We’ve been coming to Dogwood Canyon from when it was just a visitor’s center in the parking lot with some bike rentals and Segways. We’ve enjoyed bringing out of town guests and have made visits for 6+ years. Though we have enjoyed every guide, I must say Miss Debbie is the best. Her humor and knowledge made it a FUN experience for all!!

Pack your patience when going to Dogwood Canyon

By katherynmoore |

The place is gorgeous! The staff was not so pleasant. We were met my a very grumpy lady at the entrance. The ladies in the gift shop warmed up a little after we told them it was my 65th birthday. The ladies in the restaurant were not happy either. We were too early by 5 minutes and they were not ready yet. It was a pretty day and were wanted to sit outside, they were grumpy about that too! We had to seat ourselves and order at the window. This girl was not happy either. I wanted iced tea and she said they did not serve tea outside so I got lemon aid. We wanted to change the bread on the club sandwich - not happening. We pointed out that there were other sandwiches with different breads and she finally changed it. The Leon aid was horrible and I usually do not complain. I had to send my Husband back to the window and I finally got some iced tea. The sandwich was wonderful as well as the fries. We did ride the tram tour and our guide Teddy was excellent! We did pass a couple further down the trail that had walked further than they planned and wanted to catch a ride back but our driver would not allow it. The trail is very long, so I would recommend renting a bike. It is a gorgeous place, but pack your patience when dealing with the staff.

8th wonder of the World

By Scatesadvisor |

Dogwood Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life. The tram tour is definitely worth the money. You get to see the entire park. We also rode horses and enjoyed our time on the trail. The stables were gorgeous and the guides were fantastic. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our bison burgers and veggies. Dogwood Canyon is a must see when visiting Branson.

Bison, Elk and Rainbow Trout

By Daniel S |

We were able to see up close, Buffalo, Elk and Longhorns. The trailers were pulled through the park along a stream which had Rainbow Trout and a school of rainbows which were yellow in color. The Bison were on an open field, which allowed us to pass by very close, as well as a haram-herd of Elk laying in the grass under big shade trees. The big Longhorn were laying along the side of the path of our vehicles. It was great to see these great creatures, up close.

Beautiful outdoor walk. Nature walk with waterfalls and river along the path.

By Lisa L |

Awesome. Really beautiful scenery. Waterfalls, river, woods and walkway.
Walkway is paved, 6.5 miles round trip.
GO!

Highly recommend!! A must see!

By Stephanie W |

We have been to Dogwood Canyon many times. It is a beautiful area. Highly recommend every time you are in the area. We have walked the trails, which was amazing. We just rode the tram for the first time. Our guide was Rick. He did a great job of showing and taking about all the different areas throughout Dogwood. We highly recommend the tram for at least your first visit. The next time you visit walk the trails. Remember to buy or bring some water to drink.

Beautiful nature park!! Only 45 minutes from Branson. You must go at least once in your life!!

By jamespP6247CE |

Beautiful nature park!! We took the 2-hour tram ride which was amazing!! The tour guide was very informative!! We got to see a bald eagle in its nest, bison, elk, and Texas long horned cattle. Amazing waterfalls and lots of rainbow trout in the brooks and streams.

Awesome tram tour with Joe

By Lincoln B |

The park is amazing. Five of us were on Joe's tram tour and it was a phenomenal experience! We feel fortunate to have been a part of his informative tour and couldn't have had a better guide. He was personable, knowledgeable, funny, and made this experience great! We learned a lot about the animals and the native Ozark tribe. Overall it was an awesome experience and would recommend to all ages.

We highly recommend the combo Stream and Canyon ATV private guided tour….HUGE trout! Great guide experience!

By jcnordhorn |

We splurged and experienced the combo fishing and canyon ATV tour with our incredible guide, Rick. It was a spectacular 4.5-5 hrs of catching larger than normal rainbow trout and getting a personal tour of all the Canyon has to offer, including a just-born bison calf!

Tram tour at Dogwood Nature Park

By Mr Dijk |

We took a ride in the Dogwood nature park tram. Rick was our driver and was excellent. Good balance of appropriate information and humor. Very personable not to mention very beautiful scenery and area. Very highly recommend

A MUST see on your Brandon Adventure Trip

By Suzie623 |

Such a BEAUTIFUL place! Our Tram Tour Guide, James, was fantastic! Loved his sense of humor!! We ate at the restaurant and the food was so tasty! The staff were very friendly too! We highly recommend this beautiful place!

DO NOT MISS! You have to go!

By Jan N |

This was an amazing experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is our new happy place! Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is gorgeous, amazing, peaceful, and managed by so many wonderful and kind people!

Highly recommend the tram which was a great way to see the entire park, including baby buffalo, with my 85-year old mom. Barry was our tour guide and so incredibly kind, funny, insightful, and we learned so much! How incredible! We will definitely be going again, hopefully this fall as each season is a different experience!

Thank you to the Park team! Beth, Barry, Stephanie, and all!!!!

Park? Nature Park? Too perfect, not what I consider to be a "Nature or Natural Park".

By Cynthia W |

Nicely set up for a wonderful time. The scenery feels fake. Everything is mowed and beautiful. NO downed trees or natural items that would occur in nature. Having said that I would recommend a visit once. You can rent bikes to ride or buy a tram ride that is narrated by the driver. You get taken into a fenced area with Elk; Longhorned steer and Buffalo. We spent a nice amount of time watching the animals that are somewhat friendly, because they are caged and fed. My understanding is you can walk/hike the same path we drove and there are a few more hiking paths that take you into the woods. The ponds/creek you follow with the tram on a paved surface is stocked with trout. Fly fishing is permitted and a guide will also teach you to fly fish - all have a price tag attached. There is a restaurant here also and a bar. The 1 paved path that follows the creek is where we saw families walking also. Part of our tram tour was a lunch under the pavillion about half way to the fenced in animals. The food was good and the adventure very fake but for our over age 65 group it was just perfect for a day out in nature. Not sure I would recommend this venue for a family.

A fantastic day!

By Eugene K |

We had a beautiful day, fantastic tour guide, and the animals cooperated so sweet! It was well worth it! Makes you appreciate the marvel of God’s incredible creation!

Fantastic scenery, and wildlife. A must see!!

By Bryon C |

Short drive from Brason, Missouri about 30-40 minutes. Beautiful scenery no crowds. Went mid morning. Staff is fantastic, very friendly. Rachel was our tram expedition tour guide and she is wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, fun loving. Ordering online made our entry quick and easy, no lines. Bison and Elk are well cared for but are still wild. Will most definitely be back. Next time we are going for the wild side and will go by horseback.

Be sure to use the facilities as it is a two hour ride.

A beautiful family outing above and beyond!

By blessedt0travel |

Dogwood Canyon is an amazing choice for a nature outing. Two of us went horseback riding and the other two went on the tram tour. We very much recommend the tram to see all the gorgeous waterfalls and wildlife. Our daughter loved the horseback riding but note that you don’t see as much of the park that way. We enjoyed the educational room and finished our day with a bison burger and elk soup lunch. So delicious!
All the staff were very friendly. We had Joe as our tour guide and he was very engaging and shared a-lot of interesting stories.
Only one improveable to note - the first person who greeted us at the entrance was very abrupt and spoke so quick that we had no idea what she was saying. She moved us along so quickly we ended up asking another attendee for some direction. Such a minor thing when everything else was fantoastic!

Friendly helpful park employees

By knj782 |

We rented a bike ($15) and had a scooter on the bike/walking path. Beautiful paved path. We had an equipment issue about 2 1/2 miles down the path and started walking our bike and scooter back to the beginning. A tram operator asked if everything was ok and we explained the problem. She radioed for help and someone came right away to help by giving us a ride back to the front where it would have been difficult for us to walk back that distance. Everyone was excellent and they couldn’t have been nicer! The scenery was beautiful.

Definitely will go back

By J W |

Took the tram ride it was a great informative fun ride. The park is bigger than expected and it definitely is a place you can make multiple trips before taking it all in. There's Biking, trams, off-road, hiking and horse back riding, fishing and a restaurant.

Dogwood Canyon is a must-see!

By Susan B |

Dogwood Canyon is a most wonderful experience. We enjoyed the Tram ride with our knowledgeable guide. The setting is spectacular! The dogwoods & redbud trees were in full bloom.
Whether you walk through, ride the tram or bike, it’s worth your time!

Fun day!

By H5248NB |

This is a pretty neat place. If you aren’t into hiking or walking long distances, I’d recommend purchasing tram tickets in advance. The sights are beautiful and the animals are gorgeous. The only issue I have with this place is a lot of the stream is man made and the waterfalls are enhanced. I understand why the waterfalls are enhanced but the streams? It also would have been cool if they had more animals.

A Piece of Heaven in the Ozarks

By Lorrie A. K |

This is absolutely one of the most beautiful places on earth, and it's right here in the Ozarks. We have watched it evolve over many years, but this most recent visit was the best. We took the tram tour for the first time, and Barry, our tour guide was priceless. He shared stories about the amazing natural features in the park with a genuine love of the park himself. I have always loved photographing Dogwood Canyon, but this time it was great! Make sure you add Dogwood Canyon Nature Park to your list of places to visit. Thank you, Johnny Morris, for preserving this place for future generations.

A great experience

By Diane S |

Definitely take the tram tour. This is the only way you can see the elk and bison. Our guide Rick was wonderful. He is also one of the fishing guides. It was very interesting listening to him about the fish. We were fortunate to get up close to the Elk and bison. If you do not take the tram, I would suggest riding bikes. I would not suggest walking unless you are in good shape. The cost is a little high, but we enjoy our time there.

Well worth the price!

By TerriSteffes |

What a beautiful park! We took the tram tour with Nancy who was very informative. She had us laughing and even gave us a few moments of silence for us to enjoy the peaceful outdoors. She pointed out beautiful spots and had background information about the animals and the owner. She recommended the bison burger which we had after the tour. We will be back in the fall and winter to see this park decked out in fall color and winter splendor.

Enjoyed the tram tour.

By James T |

We did the tram tour of the park and got a good overview of the whole place. Our guide, Joe, was very intertaining and knowledgeable. The bonus feature of the tram tour is that you get to see the animals in the preserve area of the park. We saw bison, elk, and Texas longhorn cattle. Alternate ways of visiting are renting bikes or just hiking. You can spend a whole day here, but we only stayed a few hours.

Tram Tour

By James W |

Highly recommend spending the entire day. Purchase your admission tickets days ahead of time to save some money. Do the tram tour as early as possible so you can see the views and it’s one of the only ways to see elk, bison, and longhorns up close. Highly recommend only taking tram tour when Joe is your guide very knowledgeable and takes great care of his guests. He will have laughing for the entire 2 hours. Once the tram tour is complete you can the take a walk to the areas you see for some great pictures.

Must see

By A C |

Go. Reserve a tram tour with James, the best guide, and plan to stay for hours. It’s for all ages. It’s beautiful, peaceful and an overall wonderful experience.

Beautiful place, impressive waterfalls and springs. Not cheap

By wildhorsetrail |

The waterfalls were amazing. Unfortunately 4 inches of rain fell the night before, so the tram tours were closed. The dogwoods were no longer blooming, but the green foliage was impressive nonetheless. Lot's of waterfalls, birds, and varieties of trees. The post and beam and log construction of the buildings and bridge was also interesting. Nevertheless I'd consider it overpriced.

BEST Attraction in Branson!

By VanEsq12 |

BEST Nature Preserve in Branson! THIS is what you think of when you think of Missouri: waterfalls, hiking trails, animals, fishing, a beautiful lodge with bison burgers! If you do nothing else in Branso, do this! It is one of those places where you can lose yourself in nature. Take a moment to stop, listen to the running water, look at the birds and fish. You can go horseback riding, or take a tram tour (which I HIGHLY reccomend!) We spent the entire day here immersing ourselves in the park. Lunch at the Lodge was first class! HINT: Book tours online early. Things like horseback riding sell out quickly. HINT: Buy an "Explorer Pass". This will allow you to visit multiple attractions at a reduced cost. HINT: I've bern on the tram tour in March and August and needed a heavy sweatshirt, gloves, and lap throw both times, especially if you are on the first toyr of the day! Bring layers. Once the sun rises, you won't need them, but when the park opens, it can be quite cols, and on an open-air tram, that wind cuts right through you! HINT: Eat at the Lodge. Ask to sit at the table right in front of the waterfall. It's magical.

Wonderful hiking and beautiful easy waking trails

By G329HXcindym |

This was not a stop we had planned and we are so glad we heard about it along the way! Beautiful fall colors. Long walking trail - very easy - paved option… but you can choose how far you want to go. We did the entire walking trail .. about 6 miles. Lots of mixed size waterfalls and fish. We ate a meal here as well- good and beautiful views. Saw people with strollers, wheel chairs, adult drive. Scooters and kids on scooters. Also bicycles. We ended up spending the day. There is a museum as well. Very pleasant stop.

Love Dogwood Canyon

By TraciS |

This was my favorite activity of our large group's weekend activities. I have been here before and walked the trail but this time we did the tram as we were celebrating our matriarch's 90th birthday and this worked well for her. Rachel was both our driver and guide and I really enjoyed her. She talked enough but not too much and was easy going. She mentioned some of the other tour options available for a return visit, stopped at great points for picture taking and was knowledgeable about the area.

Family fun on a hot day!

By raymond l |

Grounds are great. We took the tram. Enjoyed the tour through the canyon. Great scenery/waterfalls and wildlife. Our guide was very knowledgeable

Paradise at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park

By Joyce J |

This is such a fantastic place! It was even better than I anticipated. There are so many gorgeous views of waterfalls, rock formations along the water, and wildlife. We especially enjoyed seeing the elk and bison. During our tram ride, elk came right up to our tram. I highly recommend the 2 hour tram ride because it is the only way to see the elk and bison and gives you the opportunity to see all of the park without having to walk 2 1/2 miles one way. Our tram guide was great! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to do all she could to insure we had a good time. I'm so glad they don't allow vehicles inside the park except for the trams because it helps the park remain very natural, beautiful and quiet. We didn't take advantage of them but there are many kinds of tours available in addition to guided fishing and horseback rides at a very reasonable price. This place is open year round and the trams run all yearl

A wonderful place to visit.

We took the tram ride tour. It was amazingly beautiful! Our guide, Joe, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. It was the perfect adventure with nature and animals.

Family Fun in the Park

By HiggieKDQN |

This is a great place to take your family! Young and old alike will enjoy this beautiful nature park with paved walking/biking paths. It’s an easy ride on a bicycle along beautiful streams and waterfalls. Rent a bike at their front entrance or bring your own bike. They have bicycles in all sizes and even have bikes with the pull carriages for little ones, bikes with training wheels and helmets for children. Ride or walk at your own page, stop and enjoy a picnic or park your bike and head across one of their many hiking trails. Beautiful rainbow trout in multitudes can be seen swimming all along the streams, you might even see a family of minks playing and catching crawdads like we did. The paved trails are easy to ride with very few hills and lots of neat bridges to cross. You can even take a guided group tour through the park if that’s your thing. We love the freedom of moving about at will. This place is perfect for us!

Can’t wait to go back !

By Harleybma |

What an amazing place! The beauty of nature at its finest! Our guide Angela was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and very personable! We saw so much wildlife and she explained so much about the buffalo, elk, trout, especially the yellow trout, turtles, snakes, squirrels, groundhog, butterflies by the 100s, I could go on and on! What a beautiful day we had there! If you go hope you get Angela!!!

Amazing!

By Esquivel02 |

Absolutely recommend this beautiful place.
We took the tram tour, the lady was very nice and gave us enough time to explore when able to stop. We saw the bison, longhorns, elf, bald eagles, and groundhogs. We ate at the restaurant it was delicious.

Amazing Dogwood Canyon!

By BR2travels |

the scenery is absolutely amazing. Our guide, Ray really helped make the experience even more enjoyable as he provided a lot of in-depth information about the park and on our tram tour he pointed out several spots along the way that were just gorgeous. Beautiful waterfalls, close-up views of the animals, streams stocked with rainbow trout and other panoramic views that are just incredible. My wife and I have already decided that we will be back on our next trip to Branson. It is a must see if you are in the Branson area. Buy tickets online as many activities sell out early.

Great day in dogwood canyon

We spent several hours walking in Dogwood Canyon. We had a great time. We saw numerous waterfalls on a day woth great weather

Dogwood Canyon was gorgeous

We enjoyed a beautiful tram ride on Friday. The weather was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. Our driver was very informative and entertaining. It was a beautiful ride.

Beautiful Nature Area!!!

By Gary R |

Such a beautiful area with lots of wildlife. My wife and I thoroghly enjoyed the tram tour. Our guide was James and he was very knowledgable about the property and its history. You can also hike or bike the many roads and trails. The museum and tree house were very cool also!!1

Beautiful Day in Dogwood Canyon Nature Park - a must do!

By maawandoon |

Dogwood Canyon is an incredible way to spend the day if you love nature. There is so much to do for all ages. I recommend the 2 hour tram ride that will take you on the trails and then into Arkansas to see the wildlife (only available on Tram). It is a relaxing trip. Our driver, Angela from Texas, was so much fun and very knowledgeable on the park and wild life. She has a great personality and is the perfect tour guide.

We visited on a warm February day. The park was quiet and so enjoyable. There is a great tree house for all ages. It was build by Tree House Masters and is featured on there Season 6, Episode 1 (Merry Fishmas!), so if you have OnDemand, you can watch at home, before visiting the DC.

Like other hungry visitors, we found the food selection to be wonderful but pricey. It was great for the two of us. For large families, there is a picnic pavilion in the parking lot which could save you some money on food if you pack a lunch.

I've been here twice - once in October and once in February. Both times have been great for outdoor activities. However, we had great weather which isn't always the case during these months. We tend to book vacations for times that are not as busy.

We have found anything in this area tied to Johnny Morris (Bass Pro Founder), to be wonderful for all ages:)

Wonderful way to spend time in the natural beauty of the Ozarks.

By Nancy E |

This is a wonderful place to visit - quite a contrast to the Branson Strip! And only 35 minutes
South near Lampe! Peaceful and beautiful trees, natural waterfalls and trout streams everywhere. The Tram ride takes you to the section of this 10,000 acre park where elk and bison range free. The dogwoods and red buds were in bloom which made our trip all the more enjoyable.
However we were told every season has its own unique beauty in Dogwood Canyon.

Amazing time

By Chuck B |

I would highly recommend the tram ride and ask to ride in Roberts tram. The views were beautiful and seeing the bison and elk were amazing. I would suggest booking your tram time a week in advance. We went on a 9:30 ride and had no trouble finding close parking.

Very enjoyable. Would love to come back and spend more time in the canyon.

By Sightsee546968 |

Guide, Rick was very informative, interesting , and went the extra mile while we were on the tram tour. It was apparent that he loved the outdoors and what he was doing. He engaged people in the group to make experience personable.

Unexpected sanctuary of tranquility

By Dawn C |

I’ve been coming to Kimberling
City for about 30 years but had never known about this beautiful preserve. We took the tram tour with informative guide, J.R., just to get oriented with the place but it is a very nice place to bike or walk on your own.

Beautiful native trees, including fruit and nut trees and bushes, make for a nice shady canopy on a hot day. Miles of trails for walking or biking are available along the creeks and streams teaming with fish and waterfalls.

You can also fish and ride horses. Guided trips available. Spend a little time in the pasture with elk, bison, and longhorn steer. Be on the lookout for eagles, hawks, and small mammals.

What a wonderful way to spend the morning exploring. There is a restaurant and refreshments patio as well as a museum of sorts with a terrific collection of indigenous artifacts and photos of the area. Don’t miss it on your visit to Missouri or Arkansas.

Wonderful place everyone should visit

By Elena H |

Wonderful place everyone should visit! I strongly recommend taking tram tour, it's 2+ (!) hours fun and educational! Our tour guide Joe so knowledge, provide information with fun and interacting with customers! He didn't stop talk for whole 2+ hours ride! Plus if you're taking tram tour, you'll go to visit elk/bison/ The Texas Longhorn that you can't do on the foot.

VERY NICE

By CarribeanBound1 |

Very nice park. Beautiful. The tram is definitely worth it. Shows you everything, even the buffalo and elk pasture. Right by the gift shop you can checkout the tree masters tree house, amazing. Our Trime guide was great. We had lunch at the restaurant, very good, great service. Nice day trip..

Tram tour is a must!

By Sara |

This experience exceeded my high expectations. We booked the tram. Angela is an exceptional tour guide in every way. Though it was literally freezing, we enjoyed every second. The views, the history, the stops we made, the animals…all incredible. Afterwards, we ate at the restaurant. Food was ok. Then we grabbed some bikes and took off! That warmed us up! The bike path is the same as the tram tour but still fun. Great place to take food and picnic.

A must-visit! Very well worth it!

By MK in the STL |

Oh wow, what can I say? Wow. I had heard so many good things about Dogwood Canyon and we were so glad to finally experience this place ourselves! This place is well worth any visit to this area.

My wife and I visited recently and we rented bikes to ride the 3 or so mile trail all the way into Arkansas. There are numerous places to stop and get pictures. It is not a bike-ride for those who just want to bike through. You need to stop frequently, otherwise, you'll miss something awesome!

This place really is truly "awe-inspiring." Some of God's best work is on display here!

We did park our bikes and walked two of the hiking trails in the park. We walked to Box Canyon, which was "meh" and probably shouldn't even be advertised. But at least they don't make a big deal out of it. We then parked again and walked the 1.2 mile long Pine Ridge Trail. Thought there would have been something at the top but that walk is also a "meh." Still cool to walk through the trees and get some exercise on the incline.

But this place is definitely a must-visit and lunch in the restaurant is a must-do! Be sure to tip the bartender. He was great and we almost had the whole bar to ourselves! Felt sorry for him because all tables were taken and bar had plenty of room!

Next time we will do the tram ride so we can see the animals (elk, bison, etc) in the far back of the park.

Wonderful!!! Tram ride was great!

By Nancy D |

Rick was an amazing tram driver/tour guide! He was knowledgeable and funny! Dogwood canyon is a wonderful place to enjoy Gods creation.

Worth every penny!

By RunningGirl14 |

We loved this place! We bought a two day pass. The first day we did the tram ride, the tree house, Pine Ridge Pass hike, and ate at the restaurant. The second day, we rented bikes, went in the wedding chapel, shopped in the gift shop, and went upstairs to the wildlife center.
You must book the tram ride in advance. It sells out quickly, and a lot of people missed out. We saw elk, buffalo, and Texas longhorns. You cannot walk or ride bikes to this area. We also booked our park tickets in advance to avoid the line at the entrance. You need arm bands, but we got them at the tram station both days. The bikes are first come first serve. Both days they had plenty available.
Highly recommend visiting. This place is immaculate. No trash or junk anywhere. Staff was very friendly.
I wrote a separate review for the restaurant. The food was excellent, server was less than attentive.

Wonderful family tour. Thanks Mrs. Debee!

By Casey M |

We had a group of 7. Ages ranged from 5 to 67. We all really enjoyed our sweet tour guide Mrs. Debee. She was enthusiastic, joyful, and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had fun. I've got a ton of beautiful pictures. We'll be back! Maybe we'll try fishing or touring it on bikes next time.

Chasing Waterfalls!

By Casey D |

Highly recommend the bike ride! The canyon stays cool in the shade and is absolutely breathtaking! Soooo many waterfalls! Go early. You will want to spend the whole day there!

The great outdoors, a fun must see/do while in Branson.

By lovestraveling2016 |

Took family from out of town and went to Dogwood Canyon for the day. We took a 2 hour tram ride which was so excellent and fun. Our driver/ guide was Bobby. He was fantastic because of his knowledge, easygoing nature and sense of humor.
We saw rutting Elk, Texas Long Horns, eagles, armadillos and much more. And they were close so great pictures.
You can rent bikes (electric ones too) to ride all over or do a self guided tour (they give you maps). The canyons are so beautiful. All ages will enjoy.

Great Tram Tour at dogwood Canyon

By Rick M |

The Tram Tour with Rachel was amazing. She was a great guide and the scenery was gorgeous. The Buffalo and Elks were awesome

Beautiful Park

By Joe S |

Be sure to plan for enough time here as there is a lot to do. We rented bikes and rode the trails which had some beautiful stops that you could make along the way.

A DEFINITE VISIT IF YOU'RE IN BRANSON!!

By HenryandClara |

This is an absolute beautiful place... we would definitely recommend this. We took the Wildlife Tram Tour, our tour guide was funny and very informative! We drove through the elk, bison fields in Arkansas. The bison came very close to the tram. Just absolutely beautiful scenery! We would love to go back in the fall for the tour! We had lunch at the Mill and Canyon Restaurant after and the meals were delicious, the view of the water fall was an extra bonus!! I can't say how beautiful of a property it was!!

Put Dogwood Canyon on your “must visit” list

By 98199cf |

Beautiful place to visit! We took the 2 hour tram ride around the park - the driver/guide gave us a lot of information and sprinkled in some cute “dad” jokes. I thought 2 hours would be too long, but the time went by quickly. We really enjoyed our visit here

Easy reach to see beautiful nature

By Karole A |

We took the tram tour. JR was our guide. He did a great job and it was a lovely 2 hour tour of the land. Highly recommend. I would like to do a bike tour also but another day for that. You can grab drinks for the tour and it stops twice for sightseeing and picture ops are everywhere.

A must see!

By MaeYoung |

We almost didn't fit this in while visiing the Branson area, but I'm sure glad we did! It was breathtaking and I would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. We rented bikes and I would also recommend that, it was a great way to see the whole trail and it was an easy ride.

Wonderful, educational experience!!

By cdnmickeyfan |

I can’t say enough about the beauty and nature this place has to offer.

The only thing I can say is that they need to up the game when describing their trails. We took a hike up one of them but had to turn back as the trail seemed to get more and more strenuous. I wish that would have been made more clear on the sign.

We took the tram tour with JR. He was very knowledgeable about the park. The tram ride was approximately 2 hrs and narrated by JR the entire way. I was impressed how he dealt with the little kids and their questions. He was very respectful. I have to say I learned a lot on this tour and seeing the animals was amazing.

We also had lunch before our tram tour and it was great. One of the best meals we had in Branson. And the servers though busy were so polite and courteous.

Definitely a must do!!!

One Of The Best Nature Preserves I've Even Seen

By Haskell The Rascal |

I've travelled quite a bit in my life, both here and abroad, and this is one of the most beautiful, well maintained, and strategically planned parks I've ever seen. The trails are immaculate, the numerous streams, ponds, and falls are beautiful, and if you are lucky enough to catch it in the fall, the leaves are breathtaking. The tram ride is on cushioned seats and extremely smooth, and the walking trails are paved, smooth, and wide. I believe nearly all of the trails are wheelchair friendly, as is even the treehouse. Like everything Johnny Morris does, this is second to none. And by the way, this whole nature preserve was donated by Mr. Morris and is a non-profit entity. I give Dogwood Canyon Nature Park my highest recommendation!

And oh, one more thing: If you take the tram, try to time it so you get the tour guide named Teddy. No corny jokes or reading from scripts. He's a walking encyclopedia of the park, and delivers his narrative in a buttery-smooth tone that only adds to the experience!

Thank You

By Susan M |

Thank you for accommodating my dad with the ride in and step stool. Joe was an excellent tram guide. I will remember this day this day, with my parents and daughter, for the rest of my life.

Delicious food with friendly staff

By lawtonjl2002 |

Our bus tour dined at the fabulous Grill. Food was tasty and delicious. I dined on the 3 sliders (fish, bison, chicken) Wish we had more time to explore the preserve

Beautiful Park!

By tammye89 |

This park is so beautiful. It is not huge, but the scenery is amazing. We did the tram tour and rode the horses. You can rent bikes and ride around. They have bikes for kids to rent and some bikes also have trailers for kids. The restaurant is fantastic!

A must visit when visiting the Brandon area!

By Dan V |

An absolute must visit if you are visiting the Branson area. A beautiful nature park with lots to see and do. We chose a narrated tram tour and our guide Virgil made our visit even better by offering an insight and history to the park. We stayed for lunch in their beautiful lodge a the food was excellent. Everything here is clean and done exceptionally well. The staff is exceptional as well. Put this visit in your to-do list.

Enjoy your time

By tchelle1111 |

Take a tram ride and see the natural beauty of conservation at its finest. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of how Dogwood canyon became.

Remarkable and a breathtaking experience.

By Kim P |

Extraordinary beauty! Immaculate and breathtakingly awesome. The chapel was so calming and peaceful. The whole tram ride was remarkable. Ray our driver, was hilarious and very informative. He seemed like a part of the family.

Your a Fool if You Miss It

By Bill G |

Absolutely first class from start to finish. We were the second ones through the gate (highly recommend as it gets busier throughout the day) and had the first couple miles to ourselves. The replies started rolling about an hour or so later. We had a wonderful time and spent close to six hours, with our three puppies, absorbing it all.

We finished the morning with a great lunch on the outdoor patio under the spectacular waterfall.

Amazing Visit with Nature

By phumble3 |

We were totally blown away by Dogwood Canyon. The place is absolutely beautiful. We managed to get the last tickets for a tour. Barry was our tour guide and was excellent. So knowledgeable and kept everyone’s interest for 2 hours. The views are spectacular. It was great to see the Elk and Bisson. We want to come back when the leafs turn color
Highly recommend. And book ahead of time for tour as they sell out

Biking Dogwood.

By Kristy D |

We chose to bike through the park vs the tram as I thought the tram would be too boring for my young children. Biking was definitely the way to go for us. The bikes were comfortable and some had baskets which was a must for us for carrying sunscreen/water, etc. BRING WATER in the summer. I didn’t see any water fountains. A lot of the path was shaded, the path had a very gentle, almost nonexistent incline, but it made the return ride a breeze, just coasted most of the way. Very pretty scenery of course. The whole ride took us about 2 hours (including stops). We ate at the restaurant there as well. It was just ok. My husband got a burger, my son also got a burger off the kids menu, they were basically the same but my husband’s cost twice as much! Lunch for 5 was $100. I do think the price of this place is exorbitant, it cost our family $160 to just enter the park and rent the bikes, the tram would have been even more $$$. Really the cost is my only complaint, I’m glad we went.

Ride the BIKES!!!! You won’t regret it!!!!!!

By QL |

This was the highlight of the trip!!!! I thought I had booked a tram ride but did not. This turned out to be a gift bc we did the bike ride and it was amazing. I haven’t been on a bike in 40 years!!!! It’s so much fun and my teens had a blast! The way back is a breeze and all downhill even tho it doesn’t seem like it, the lady at the park said it was and it was great!!!! Don’t feel intimidated by the bikes u have to try it and have as much fun as we did! Also, we went in October and it was gorgeous!!!!!

Great family / friend get away for the day, beautiful scenery

By Tammy K |

The 2 hour trolley ride is awesome to see waterfalls, fish, wildlife and so much more. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved the tree house, especially the secret passage.

Wonderful outdoor adventure.

By gmoney t |

Such an amazing experience i believe Bonnie was our tour guide. She was so much fun had us laughing taking us to amazing locations an on top of that taking pictures for us too. Highly recommend paying the cost to experince the park by tram.

Heartily recommend

By Lisa K |

It was a perfect day for the outdoors, and we had a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful. We purchased tickets for the Wildlife Tram and Joe our guide was the best. A must for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. The place was clean, and it was beautiful.

Beautiful Park!

By Susan60048 |

We spent about half a day here on our visit to Big Cedar Lodge. It is a beautiful park. Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we took the tram tour. It was a great way to get oriented to the park, see the bison, elk and big horns. Rachel was our tour guide and she did an outstanding job! We learned a lot about the nature, animals and history of the area. Next time we come we may try renting bikes and fishing.

Great place to experience nature.

By Joe & Myra |

My family and I enjoyed the chance to be out in nature, to see the waterfalls, and to see some of wildlife on the property. We would highly recommend the tram ride to see the animal pastures and to get a feel for how large the property is and what it has to offer.

Beautiful

By Era J |

We took the Tram Tour which was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The tour is 2 hours long and our guide, Rachel, was amazing. She stopped multiple times to allow us to get off the tram and take pictures, never rushing us in the process. She is a wealth of information not only about the history of Dogwood Canyon Park, but also about the surrounding area. During the tour we saw beautiful waterfalls, bison and elk. There are a variety of activities including bike rentals, horseback riding, jeep tours, etc. Dogwood Canyon is beautiful and a wonderful place to spend the day.

Looking forward to my next trip!

By Trudy S |

Beautiful day to travel Dogwood Canyon by tram. Our tour guide, Larry, did a great job. The canyon, wildlife, history, personnel, made our second trip phenomenal.

Great Area with beautiful Scenery

By Zorro0795 |

This area was wonderful! We rented bikes and had a blast. We took a picnic lunch with us and found a great spot by the big tree house. The scenery was gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would do this again and wished I lived closer to do it more often.

Totally awesome adventure.

By Leanne M |

We took the tram through the Canyon. It takes you over and through the stream many times. The water is so clear and beautiful. Wonderful waterfalls and seeing the small to HUGE trout was amazing. The day was warm so the elk herd was in the water and we could easily stop to see them. The bison were also grouped around the water hole. The buildings are so well built and so pretty. There is an educational center on the second floor of the main building as well. They host summer adventures for children as well. This is a must see for your trip to Branson if you like the outdoors.

Great state conservation

By Susan L |

Great outdoor avenue. Coming from an area you pay /car, it was a little pricey. But it’s a conservation, so it is worth it. Beautiful colors, views, and hot October day. Nice gift shop. Don’t forget to go upstairs as well for educational videos, live aquariums, and a room for tactile experience.
We rented bikes and had fun cycling around.

Absolutely beautiful!!

By Michele S |

Absolutely beautiful park with lots of water features including waterfalls. We took the tram tours which gave us a lot of interesting information about the area and history. We also ate a meal at the restaurant which was delicious and accomodated my dietary restrictions.

Trip to Dogwood Canyon

By dn |

The park is beautiful and very well maintained. My wife and I really enjoyed the tram ride and our driver, JR, was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and a lot of fun. The whole experience was amazing!

Friday Hike

By R F |

We enjoyed Dogwood Canyon, it was so pretty and well maintained. The waterfalls and streams were beautiful. We even got to see a mink. We hiked the full 6 miles round trip. Now we can say we walked to Arkansas.

Great place to spend the day and explore in nature

By Jeanette D |

Very nice place! A lot of information was given on the development of the land and preservation of resources and wildlife in the area.
The train ride was very informative and described the reasons and meaning of the ornate animal images in stone, metal and stones.
Tree house feature and nature museum resources are very interesting and educational. Adults and children could spend many hours exploring the walking trails, bicycling, tree house, and entrance museum.

Outdoor senic

By Rhonda H |

This place is amazing. Our guide Debbie make the trip fun, educational and provided excellent customer service. Well worth your time.

Great Day in the Canton

By Stephanie V |

This was one of the highlights of our vacation to Branson! We went horseback riding and did the tram tour. Also visited the conservation center and it was very educational. We ate at the restaurant and it was good as well. Everything we did here was super fun, and the staff was amazing! Highly recommend!

Gorgeous park!!

By Robin N |

Absolutely gorgeous park! Highly recommend touring it via the tram tours because you’ll learn so much more about the park than you would otherwise. Doesn’t disappoint. Ray was our guide, and he was great! Very nice guy who was the master of dad jokes. 😁

Great Experience

By Sara F |

We thought this might be cheesy but it was not at all! The pictures do not even do it justice. We had a military discount so for $33 for two was a good value. We spent about 3 hours walking the park-waterfall after waterfall. There were plenty of people but it was not at all crowded. Will go again next year for sure. We also had a quick drink and app in the restaurant-all were great but a tad spendy. I wish the outdoor restaurant served the indoor restaurant's drinks as the indoor restaurant you can't order or eat out on the patio.

Beautiful but man-made. If Bass Pro made a State Park, this would be it.

By MrsRichmond |

This is a beautiful facility. About halfway through we realized it was completely man made and then the curtain fell away. The waterfalls and streams are very pretty and the poured concrete “rapids” are very pretty and blue. We did not do the tram tour but I wish we had. I tired out about 3/5 of the way to the back. They rent bicycles and strollers and there’s an optional guided tour. The restaurant on site looked nice, but it was too busy to grab a bite when we were there. There is a pretty chapel on site and plenty of stops along the way. It’s a very extensive property and too much to really see on foot.

Waterfalls, fish and wildlife galore!

By Cheryl O |

We had lunch at the restaurant with a gorgeous view of the cascading waterfall. Then took a 2 hour tram ride of the property. Rick was our guide and provided us a wealth of information about each spot along the way. We stopped for photo ops. We were able to see steer, elk and bison as we crossed over the missouri/arkansas border. They were able to accomodate my husband's wheelchair on the tram as well. I highly recommend checking out this unique experience.

Met All Expectations!

By Dorothy Y |

I had been wanting to go here for about a year. I had planned my whole Branson trip around Dogwood Canyon Park. Yes, I bought my tickets about 10 days in advance including our tram rides. I saw a review complaining about the park selling out and not realizing that such a thing could happen....lol. Really people! I did see that reservations were recommended on the web site. I will warn that you will walk a lot! Be prepared with water. The tram is worth it, James was great!

Well worth the trip!

By JDuncan |

This is well worth the trip out! Our tour guide, Rachel, was great! The scenery is amazing! When you take the tram tour, you have quite a few stops along the way to get off and take photos. I've done both the walking tour & the tram tour. Both are great options. With the tram tour you get to go on the animal preserve. They have added a lot since our last visit. The treehouse is very cool. I would definitely recommend putting this on your to do list if you are in the area.
Before leaving we ate at the restaurant. The Bison burger was wonderful!
The tour is about 2 hours & you'll want to plan time to just explore, go through the museum & stop in the gift shop.

Beautiful and well maintained place

By GoingGone2018 |

Wow - a most beautiful place. Spring or fall would be the best times to visit. Magnificent. We were there for a wedding in the summer and it was hot but still beautiful.

Wonderful Day

By Culture780874 |

I really enjoyed the day I spent there. Just idealic REALLY! I also went on the tram and Joe was a great guide. I enjoyed listening to the info about the different features of the park. They have some baby buffalo and baby elk....OMG!!! Staff is very nice. Thank You Joe. I am just waiting to see what this company does in Jasper AR. Highly recommend to anyone who loves beauty.

Fun!

By Chenoa S |

James was amazing. The history and location are wonderful. I loved seeing the bison and elk. The gift store has wonderful items

Great paved trail

By ginacee1 |

Beautiful place. But be ready to pay $20 per person to get in. We felt it was worth it. The entire hike is paved and about 6 miles round trip. There are several beautiful falls and even a small chapel along the way. You can also pay more and ride the tram, but we wanted to hike. Bring a backpack and water to make a day of it. Also, bring quarters to feed the trout.

What a great outdoor experience!

By George S |

This is a beautiful outdoor nature park. 1000+ acres. You can walk the 6 mile trail, or if you're old like me; you take the tram. The tram ride was great our guide shared a lot of information about Dogwood Canyon and made the trip a lot of fun. We also ate at the grill/restaurant. The food is fantastic and the servers are great. I'll go again and take some friends.

Wonderful!

By Ashlee K |

We did the tram ride throughout the park. Rick was our guide and he was awesome! Super knowledgeable and funny! The animals were out and the scenery was beautiful- not as many leaves changing yet- Rick said about 3rd week in October is the best for that.

We bought tickets for the wrong day and they accommodated us easily!

A beautiful location and nice staff!

Beautiful sights

By Sheila H |

We did the walking trail which if you are in shape it would be better. I suggest taking a tram which you would have to make sure that they have them on the day that you are wanting to go, so reserve ahead. I love anything to do with nature and that was a very nice place to see it.

Fantastic Experience

By Jackie K |

I took the tram tour on 6/23/23. This was one of the greatest parts of my trip. Larry was our tour guide and he was great. Saw some of the most beautiful natural beauty of the Ozarks. The park and it's staff are awesome.

Beautiful fall day, nice place for families

By bould22 |

We were there briefly to see what it had to offer as golfing later at Top of the Rock. We should have packed lunch- nice family place to pack lunch, walk along trails or ride bikes. Staff accommodating and helpful. We did not have time for wildlife tour but looked like good opportunity. Well landscaped and taken care of.

Worth every penny

By LaurieLu |

This is an amazing place to visit with tons of cool history. It’s another property owned by Johnny Morris (founder Bass Pro) and it’s very well kept. We did the Tram tour this time, but we did the Jeep tour last time. Both are fun and informative. Our Tram guide Joe was great! Worth every penny!

Fabulous 👌!

By S S |

This place is amazing. Between the beautiful nature and the gorgeous architecture, we were in awe. Super fun. Joe, our tour guide, was a great storyteller and hilarious.

Very nice day with the grandkids.

By LaurieGypsy |

This was a great place to spend a few hours with the grandkids. Ages 11-17. The tram was a nice relaxing way to see the whole park and the animals. They allowed us to bring our own food and beverage to picnic with the exception of alcohol, which was perfectly fine. We had a fabulous time. Would come back and do the bike riding and more walking on the trails. Very beautiful scenery.

Vacation

By Rodney B |

This was my second time here. The first time I walked through the whole park. What a beautiful walk. It is paved and mostly in the shade. You also can rent bikes. This time I took the tram tour that talked about the history of the park. It was two hours long. I would definitely recommend both. Next time I will come in the fall to see the trees change color. Our tour guide Rachel was awesome. She was very friendly and knew her stuff.

Great place to visit well run worth your time

By Navigator59297650084 |

We spent an enjoyable part of the day at the canyon. It is extremely well care for well-run venue. The trolley ride was one of the most enjoyable well presented things I have done. The guide was friendly was enjoyable to be with. The animals were beautiful well care for I have never been was a beautiful waterfall and pool stocked full of fish there were butterflies Birds felt like you were in a paradise. The restaurant there is very unique and the food is done very well really enjoyed the Buffalo soup. My friend had the buffalo burger and enjoyed it as well. When we come to Branson in the future we will definitely visit this park again. I had never in my life before seen an eagle nest up close wow it was something to the whole the size of the sticks and how big around it was.

Beautiful scenic adventure

By Traci S |

Beautiful scenic experience! Several waterfalls in the 1 mile we explored. Overpriced for a walk. Would love to see it during the summer or fall. We did the walk to save money over renting bikes & the tram was sold out. Will definitely go again & research the options more before going.

Magnificent Park

By Glendawpb |

Thorough enjoyed my visit to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. The park is impeccably designed and maintained. The dogwoods were in full bloom along with the redbud trees - they were beautiful. The peacefulness and tranquility are refreshing to the mind and soul. Multiple water falls as well as walking and hiking paths.

Treat yourself to the tram ride, the experience will be very rewarding (make your reservation online to ensure a seat). James, the tram driver and guide extraordinaire provided a plethora of information about the creation of Dogwood Canyon as well as the amenities and the animals. The tram ride allows visitor to enjoy the beauty and see the Elk and Buffalo up close. The tram stops at a few key sites to get a closer view and allow photo opportunities.

Enjoyed the bison burger at the cafe. Food was very tasty and service was excellent.

Would highly recommend to individuals who have an appreciation for nature & the outdoors.

Book your reservation online for quicker entry. My cell service was sketchy at the park. Arrive early for easy parking.

My personal thanks to Mr. Morris for his conservation of valuable land as well as his visionary efforts & accomplishments which allows so many others to enjoy this gem!

AWESOME1

This is the second time we went; this time bringing the whole family and it did not disappoint. There was little wait time at the check in guest = maybe 2 minutes. The water areas continue to be amazing. We made sure to go in June in hopes of seeing baby bison. When we went last year in the April, the guide mentioned June is a good time for this. There were 13 baby bison, very close to the tram, with the newbie right alongside the tram. Additionally, we got to see the 2 1 year old longhorns. We've been here 2 seasons so far and thinking about visiting again in the fall. If you plan ahead early, you can work things out to do the tram and the horseback riding in one day, which is what we did last year in April. Plenty of choice of what you want to do and how much you want to see in a day for the nature and water lover!

Highlight of are trip!!!!

By Robert B |

The views at this place were definitely amazing. We took the tram ride that lasted for 2 hours! It was very very informative. Our guide that took us was named Joe (Jurassic Joe) he was awesome so much information came from him. If you didn't get good pictures that's because it's your fault. He made sure to slow down the Tram ride or even stop it, and tell you this is a photo op! Definitely will recommend this to everyone and I will definitely be back again with the family, thanks again Joe for the awesome tour!

A must to see when visiting the Ozarks!

By Nancy S |

Best time today on the guided Wildlife Tour. Our guide Angela was outstanding, knowledgeable and very personable. Lots of beautiful wildlife. Plenty of trout, bison, elk, baled eagles and gorgeous waterfalls.
Though it was off-season, it was like having the preserve just for us. We can’t wait to return in the other seasons to see the changes throughout the park.
Also, we had lunch at the onsite restaurant called Mill & Canyon Grill Restaurant. It wasn’t disappointing either. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waitress, Brea was wonderful and very attentive.
In addition, the nature center, local artifacts, treehouse and the gift shop were excellent as well!
Great time was had by all!

Ask for the shortest tour guide there ☺

By Debbie A |

This wasn't part of our plans until a friend mentioned it. We absolutely loved it. The grounds, the food, the tram ride. Our tour guide Debbie, was the absolute best! Highly recommend!

Not as natural

By Milkman_01 |

We visited this attraction a number of years ago and have recommended it to many people. We were disappointed this time when we attended. It seems more commercialized with extra bridges trails with stops along the way. Not just a travel thru a native canyon like last time. Won't be back.

Having fun in Dogwood Canyon

By Sonia S |

It looked so pretty and we love waterfalls so we paid to come here with our dog and go hiking. Unfortunately we did not have the endurance to walk the whole route. We can only do about 5 mile round trip. I wish they had an option to walk all the way one way and be able to pay for a ride back again with our dog. Maybe a hayride? Since Missouri is in a drought waterfalls elsewhere where non-existent but here all the waterfalls flowed. ( I hear they help them along). I appreciated that. I was a bit disappointed that the box canyon trail was closed but in retrospect I probably did not have the energy for it anyways. The treehouse was cute. We loved having lunch by the tall waterfall with our dog. Great BBQ beef sandwich. On the website they offer you extra options without really explaining what they are. I did not know if I wanted them or not.

It's a special place.

By Jimbear |

We found ourselves back in Branson in mid-October and our son and his GF had not experienced Dogwood Canyon before. Off we went after buying our admission and 2 hr. tram ride tickets online. All of that set us back a little over $200. After a blustery chilly day of exploring and sightseeing this magnificent semi-developed piece of beautiful nature between Missouri and Arkansas that Johnny Morris carved out and had his people put their touch on for us to enjoy, we'd all say it was worth it. Also, our tram guide, Larry, did a fine job. May we suggest you all dress appropriately for the weather.

We greatly enjoyed the tram tour!

By Steve L |

We enjoyed the tram tour while we were here. A great way to see the park and here about it too. You for sure get to see wildlife too since there is an area they keep them in that you drive through.

Grand Gorgeous Tram Ride

By Debbie H |

We had the most enjoyable and informative tram ride with Rachel this afternoon. Even though it was terribly hot today it was comfortable on the tram. Rachel was filled with knowledge of the park, animals, rides and trails. It was a great experience.

Run, don't walk to Dogwood Canyon

By robindintexas |

Dogwood Canyon is absolutely beautiful!! It's a very peaceful park full of beauty that you can either walk or ride a tram. We did the tram and it stops twice to allow you to get out to take better pictures. There are toilets at one stop BUT I am pretty sure they were outhouses. I am not 100% on that though. At the back of the park, the tram takes you to see the animals on property. You can only see those if you ride the tram or get a personal tour. I am speechless when it comes to its beauty! HIGHLY recommend going. We went in early October prior to the leaves changing color. I am sure if we would have gone a couple weeks later, it would have been even more stunning. Run don't walk there!

Excellent!!

By Eulene P |

Visited Dogwood Canyon, Sept. 22, 2022. It is such a beautiful place. This was our 3rd visit. The treehouse is amazing. We have always wanted to see one of Pete's creations! We also did the tram ride this time. What a wonderful experience. We learned so much. Our driver was Ray. He was soooo knowledgeable and funny. We would definitely recommend going to Dogwood Canyon anytime you have the opportunity!

Beautiful spring destination

By LRS1978 |

Beautiful park!! Has several hiking trials some paved. Lots of history about the park and the conservation efforts. Make sure and take the wild life tram. It was worth every penny!!

Tram Tour

By KAREN J |

My friends and I did the 2 hour trolley tour, and it was well worth the cost. Our tour guide, Bobby, was knowledgeable and entertaining, but not silly; he did an excellent job. We saw elk, bison, Texas long horns, rainbow trout, etc, and lots of beautiful terrain.

A disappointment..

By 2dalu_412 |

Don't bother if it's 85 degrees and you didn't buy tram tickets ahead of time.. $20 each to get in as we kinda stumbled on it. Too hot to ride bikes through and tickets sell out a week or more in advance for the tram ride. It would be nice if they saved room for walk ins or at least an option to get the seats if there are no shows. A big waste of money...

Nature get away in style

By Shelley |

I was surprised to find this 10,000 acre nature park. There are paved paths for bike rental, restaurant, education center, treehouse, tram tours, waterfalls, bison, elk. Plan on spending whole day here with your family, you’ll enjoy it. If you get Joe as your tram tour guide you’ll be in for a treat. He’s hilarious and informative! I’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful Ride

By Tim M |

Beautiful experience riding through the designated trail system. The detail to the waterfalls, landscape and trails were great

Beautiful Property

By lovetravel2 |

This is a very beautiful 3.2 out and 3.2 back trail that can not be missed. You have an option to bike, walk, or tram. We chose to walk, there is too much to explore to go through faster than a walking pace. There are a lot of waterfalls and springs here. You can only see the elk and bison on the tram. Do not miss walking through the treehouse, any child or adult would love this treehouse. This is a wonderful property to explore.

Beautiful, definitely would do again

By Traveler |

What a beautiful place where the ease of sightseeing intertwines with the natural. The staff was helpful and seem to enjoy working in their beautiful surroundings. It was well worth the time (about two hours) and money to ride the tram. We did eat at the cafe with the beautiful view of the waterfall. The menu is limited plus the fryer was not working when we were there. I got the canyon smash buger which was good however next time we would bring a picnic.

Beautiful & Relaxing

By Mom2b1g |

Dogwood Canyon was much more than I expected. We took the tram ride with Barry and I would highly recommend him. This is such a beautiful and relaxing place. I understandable some are not happy with the cost but there are ways to make it more affordable. They allow outside food and bikes. They also have bikes to rent if you do not want to hike. I cannot wait to go back to check out the other seasons. Grab a picnic and a book and enjoy!

A beautiful day in the Ozarks

By Linda D |

We had a great experience. It is a beautiful place to go. You take a slow tram ride where you can see everything, and we were able to take pictures. We had a great guide that was very knowledgeable, and his name was Rick.

Dogwood canyon

By Lori |

Took the tram ride. We’ve been doing this for years for this time we were only allowed to stop and get off tram once for family pictures. Had to ask our guide Rachel if we could feed the fish too. She was pitching the food out but not offering it to her passengers without them asking if they could get some fish food too. We did get some up close visits with the bison and elk. We always enjoy going but it continues to be very pricey. Ate at the restaurant. Good food and large portions. The kids love the tree house area.

Owl Prowl! Try it!

By RandySessions |

We went late in the afternoon for an "Owl Prowl". This event started at 5pm with an onsite educator and a Great Horned Owl that is no longer able to live in the wild due to injuries sustained by running into a barbed wire fence. We learned about owl in general. After that we went to a different room and participants were able to dissect owl pellets(this isn't poop!). From here we went to a fire pit and had hotdogs and s'mores and more owl information. As it grew darker we boarded a tram and went deep into the park, stopped and walked even further to call owls. We heard several respond to the call. It was a cool, pleasant, and relaxing evening.

Gorgeous

By Angela N |

Dogwood Canyon is breathtakingly gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed the tram tour led by Rick. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and a great driver too. We will definitely be back in the future!

Bad customer Service

By Richard V |

Called the number on their website. Asked if pets were allowed and about the restaurant's policy about specifically if there was a patio we could eat on with our pet. Of course, we were told! We are very pet friendly.
We drive 2 hours and the ticket taker tells us that the patio is closed and has been for a week. Her attitude was very indifferent to just plain bad.
OK, we can do something else. O No, all of their so called pet friendly talk
was also not true. Indifference to pets was more correct.
Did we call the call center? We called the number on their web site. They were trying to make it our fault we were misinformed.
One of us went in and bought 2 hamburgers and some chips and dip.
71 dollars!!! Nothing to wtite home about.
We could only walk so far so without any of the advertised transportation we saw very little of the park.
Looking back, nothing was as we were told it would be. The staff seemed to almost take some pleasure in telling us we could not do this or that or anything! Not one person said they were sorry about anything.I would have given them a zero but it would not let me proceed to the review without at least one dot.
Bad Experience!!!

Refresh your mind at the Dogwood Canyon Park

By Chithra |

Dogwood Canyon Nature Park offers an immersive experience with its Tram Tour and Horseback Ride, both of which provide unique ways to explore the park's stunning scenery.

The **Tram Tour** is a fantastic option for visitors of all ages, offering a comfortable ride through the park's picturesque landscapes. The knowledgeable guides provide engaging commentary about the area's history, wildlife, and conservation efforts. Highlights of the tour include seeing cascading waterfalls, scenic bridges, and opportunities to observe local wildlife up close, such as bison, elk, and longhorn cattle.

Berry was our Tram tour guide and berry was splendid throughout the tram tour and very patient in explaining all about the wildlife and the entire journey throughout the Dogwood Canyon.

Amazing Place….You Should Go!

By Rostadt |

Second visit to this amazing preserve! The scenery is stunning and we chose to do the walking tour (all other options were sold out). Walking was perfect because the weather wasn’t too hot. Great paths for walking and viewing the waterfalls, fish and streams. We had a fantastic day and walked about 7 miles!

Joe the tour guide was awesome and funny and will brighten you day. He is very nice and very caring. I do reccomend him.

By Ryker P |

Views were awesome and I didn’t know that much history could hide in one rock. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to visit Dogwood.

Great place to take a walk like very relax ing enjoyed the tour well worth the money and Rick was a great guy will go back again don't miss it

Best place for families

By Jehan E |

What a beautiful experience! The tram was two hours long and interesting enough to keep the attention of my young children. When you cross over to the Arkansas side, the tram ride becomes a safari ride since you get to see Elk, Bison, and more animals! Our drive Larry did a great job explaining the history of the place and pointing out the wildlife. We even got to feed some rainbow trout! You can rent bikes and ride around with your family. We even scored a bike with training wheels for my 5 year old! There were bikes with carriers so my 3 year old could ride with my husband! This place really thought of everything!

Looks like a beautiful place for a wedding or vow renewals! There are educational rooms where kids could learn more about animals! We spent the entire day here and had a blast. Great place for a picnic but they also have a restaurant where they have really good bison burgers!

Excellent lunch and tour

By Heartland Trave... L |

We brought tour group of 37 folks to Dogwood Canyon the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our "chuckwagon" lunch was delicious and our tram guides, Rick and Angela were superb! So informative and entertaining. It was a fabulous afternoon and Heartland Travel Adventures, LLC will be return visitors for sure! Thank you so much for everything.

Definitely get the tram tour on line early!

By NanaDeDe |

This was AMAZING!!!! As always, Johnny Morris has done an incredible job !!!
You have to visit to enjoy the beauty of this place!! We have been visiting Branson for over 50 years, So mad we weren’t enjoying this amazing place all along!! ❤️
Definitely take the tram tour to witness the incredible beauty of the Ozarks!!
Tour guide was so informative !!!
Love, Love, Love this!!!
I thought Top of the rock golf cart ride was my all time favorite, but I changed my mind about it. Both are wonderful!!

Yes

By Garry S |

Excellent. Beautiful. If hiking have to look out for many bikers and a few dogs. Easy hiking on blacktop trail. Well worth the cost.

Take the Tram!

By Elliot |

This is a beautiful place! Spend the extra money for the tram! You get to experience more of the park and Arkansas with a tour guide. Rachel was knowledgeable, fun, and friendly.

Tram ride and lunch

By cingino |

We took the tram ride from 10 to 12 and stayed for lunch. Our tram operator was very informative. He paid attention to detail as he put down a stool to assist us every time we exited. There were some noisy children in the first car so he got down and came to the middle to talk so we could all here. This is a beautiful place. The white Buffalo held special meaning for me. We had bison for lunch and all our choices were wonderful

The Tram Tour

By REX H |

Rick was our driver on the tram tour. He was great! He had a good sense of humor that we enjoyed. He's very friendly. This is an easy 2 hour tour where you will see beautiful country and a lot of wildlife. We saw herds of Texas longhorns, elk, and bison. We saw the stream or river, and lots of places to see the fish, particularly the trout. Rick gave great information and answered all the questions asked. We'd highly recommend this tour!

Must Visit

By Ashtb03 |

This place is so pretty! We took the tram ride it is absolutely worth it! Our tour guide Rachael was excellent! The waterfalls, feeding the fish, seeing the animals you make a lot of fun memories!

Only negative it is sort of pricey. The tram ride is definitely worth it but it does not include admission to the park and that’s another $20 a person. Everything they offer in the park will cost you more the entry is just that the entry into the park.

I wonder

By Mark J |

This is a beautiful place but once I found out the main waterfall was kept going with pumps that are hidden underneath the observation platform by the waterfall it made me wonder about the entire place.

Beautiful scenery!!

By Rodman5 |

We LOVED our time at Dogwood Canyon today! We booked the two hour tram tour, and it was definitely worth it on a day that was well over 90 degrees! You do have to buy two different tickets: one ticket per person just for admission into the park, and then another ticket per person for the tram.
James was our tram driver and he had such great knowledge of the park! He was great!! We got so many wonderful pictures of nature!! We would definitely recommend for anyone in the area to check this place out!!

Dogwood Canyon is a must do!

By CrissyARivera |

What an amazing experience! A high class & reasonably priced way to enjoy nature and spend the day with the family. From the bike ride to the tram tour, it was extremely enjoyable for everyone. Joe, our tram driver, was such a wealth of knowledge. His passion for the park was infectious that even my teenagers loved it! So glad we went.

Take the Tram Tour

By Nonya |

Beautiful!! We did the tram tour and though expensive, it is well worth the price. The scenery is just beautiful! We will go again.

Absolutely Stunning Park

By Allison M |

We stumbled upon this when searching for local attractions. We are visiting the area from Canada and it would have ended up much higher on our list if we had known how awesome it would be. We did the Tram Tour and our guide, James, was both knowledgeable and funny! The two hours went by very quickly! We thoroughly enjoyed it! We also ate at the cafe for lunch and it was an excellent meal (though somewhat pricy). We could have stayed at Dogwood Canyon longer! It was a great day!

Beautiful Ozarks Experience

By GilbertAz2014 |

This was our first time in the Ozarks and we loved every minute. We did the tram tour of the nature preserve and canyon, and we also did the private horseback ride. Well worth the price. Stunning views around every corner. Wildlife everywhere. Huge rainbow trout in the rivers. And the lodge/museum is luxurious and rugged all at once. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

The lunch at the restaurant was the only underwhelming part of the day. But sitting outside by the waterfall made it worth it.

The best guided fishing around!

By Becky G |

I purchased the guided fishing for my husband and son for birthday/anniversary gift! They had the most amazing guide in Rick, and had the best time! The smiles in all the pictures are priceless! Thank you Rick for making their day so special!!!

Our day best in Missouri!!!!

By mountainlover |

I had read many reviews of this nature park, beforehand. It didn’t disappoint!!! We went during the week and even then, this place was packed! Located west of Branson, be prepared to drive gorgeous two lane roads that are often curvy and can be slightly steep….so, plan accordingly. I was glad that we purchased our park AND tram tickets beforehand! Since cell phone service can be scan or non-existent, I went ahead and printed out my tickets, too. The park is gorgeous and clean! Tram seats usually 15-30 minutes before your allotted time. Since we wanted to make sure we sat in the back of the tram, we arrived about 30 minutes prior to seating. The trams are “open air”, so since it was quite cool on our day, we brought a blanket just in case. Our interpretive specialist for our tram was wonderful! I wish I could remember her name, but, she was the delightful and “short” specialist who drove our tour. Tram rides often utilize the same paths/road/trails that bicycles and hikers are using….so, be prepared to “share the road”. Our tram ride was exactly 2 hours long and included lots of great info, photo ops, wildlife and scenic beauty. The park museum is small but insightful. The gift shop has everything that you are looking for in souvenirs. We chose to eat at the restaurant, on site, and it was great! Tessa, our waitress, was OUTSTANDING! We wish MORE restaurants had such pleasant, customer centered and competent waitresses…as Tessa!!!! All in all, our best day in Missouri!

Definitely worth the trip

By Jenny L |

Dogwood Canyon is absolutely beautiful. We took the tram tour with Joe he is an excellent tour guide.

Dogwood Canyon

By Cindy S |

Dogwood Canyon is a beautiful place, my husband and I enjoyed everything about it, especially our tour guide Joe he was awesome. You could tell he really enjoyed people and his job and we all had some good laughs along the way. We will definitely be back.

Nothing but walking

By bowfishoholic |

If you have any issues with long distance walking, DO NOT go here. I was 2 miles out with a walking cane and fortunately they had to send an utv to bring me back. You cannot get to see the elk, which we really wanted to see, unless you pay for the tram ride. We bought a season pass and found out that it was not feasible to do this with walking issues. They will not refund or transfer to a Wonders of Wildlife pass.

Well laid out park with beautiful water features

By Viajera172705 |

My husband and I brought our dog here on a very hot and humid afternoon to walk the trails. The entrance fee was $19 per person. The park is very well laid out with lots of signs, showing people where to walk. The waterfalls and slow flowing creeks were beautiful. We did not make it all the way to the end of the trail due to the heat, but it would have been cool because the last third of the trail is in Arkansas. On our way out, we ordered 2 sandwiches to go - a club sandwich and a bison burger - and they were both delicious.

Unbelievable views tram tour!!

By Mary P |

Absolutely beautiful views. Being up close to the bison, elk and longhorn was amazing. Our guide on the tram tour, Rick, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer questions we had. He made our experience unforgettable. Would do it again and let others know how terrific it was.

Amazing place!!!!

By rae h |

It was beautiful to see. Wonderful if u enjoy nature. There tram guide Rick was amazing, knowledgeable, funny, and all around great guide. Nothing disappointed me about this park. It was very clean, fairly priced, and gorgeous nature at it's finest.

Must see!

By Kelly M |

This place was amazing! My husband and I took our small dog and had a wonderful time exploring the park! We walked and had the best day! I highly recommend this activity if you are in the Branson area and want to get outdoors!

Take Your Fly Rod!

By wyolion |

Wish I would have brought my fly rod. The weather was extremely hot and there needed to be more options to get liquids in people. It was a nice hike, but that's about it.

Amazing venue but overpriced

By loomomof2 |

First time here and we decided to do the tram tour. It was 2 hours of beautiful scenery and we got to see bison, elk, and a few other wildlife such as an eagle and a groundhog. Mickey was our tour guide and was very informative and fun. It was a bit chilly on the tram so I would highly recommend bringing a jacket in the cooler months. The only reason I'm giving this a four is because I do feel like this place is overpriced. The admission fee just to get in for the three of us was over $60. That was just to walk in to the park. Then we decided to ride the tram and that was $120 for the 3 of us. Don't get me wrong the tram Ride was amazing but I feel like $20 per person just to get into the canyon is ridiculous. Especially if you're going to ride the tram I feel like they should give you a discount. I can't say that I would go back but I can say that I've been there once and it was pretty cool.

Must see!

By Diane B |

Absolutely gorgeous! We went on Mother’s Day and took the Tram tour and had lunch. A must see if you are in the area! Great hike and bike area.

It would be better to just walk around or ride a bike there

By cami |

We had a very good time in Dogwood Canyon. The park is absolutely magnificent with all the waterfalls and green spaces. However, we didn’t get to see many species of animals which is rather strange in a park with so many of them. If it wasn’t for the amazing tour provided by Jurassic Joe, the money we paid wouldn’t be worth it…

Dogwood Canyon did not disappoint

By Debbie R |

The experience of Dogwood Canyon was fantastic. We arrived just minutes before our tram was scheduled to leave and the parties in front of us were slow in getting their tickets (highly suggest you prepurchase tickets). The ticket booth helper radioed ahead that we were at the gate so they would wait. We called for an escort vehicle to the tram for a mobility issue. The transportation arrived quickly and we were just a couple of minutes late to the tram. The tram driver provided a step stool to the tram for the older riders. We started the 2 hour ride and it was fun and informative from the first minute of the ride. Rick was very knowledgeable and entertaining as we drove along the paved pathways. The bicyclists and trams and walkers all shared the same paths and everyone was respectful of the traveling mode of each one they met. The ride was smooth and cool as we drove along the mostly tree shaded path. We were able to depart the tram at one point to feed some special food to special fish (and use the facilities if needed). We saw rare fish, bison, elk, longhorn steers and a little turtle. I won't give away all the surprises we got to see but if you love nature and waterfalls and streams this is the place to visit. You can even reserve a chapel for weddings or a pavilion for a retirement party.

We have visited Top of the Rock and Dogwood Canyon and when Johnnie Morrison finds land to enhance to make a venue to show off nature and the great outdoors he does it right.

DONT GO WITHOUT RESERVATIONS. YOU CANT DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU RESERVED IN ADVANCE. ***READ BEFORE YOU GO***DECEPTIVE

By DrCade |

We have a large family 6 kids two adults. We generally boat most days and take an adventure on a day it feels good and we need a day off the water. We chose DC this year. We drove 30 minutes and paid our entrance fee. They then informed us trams, horseback riding and everything must be in advance reserved.
They say it’s in fine print. On mobile version I couldn’t locate. In fact the only way you would know it’s sold out is if you try to book it and get to complete payment section. It will then tell you it’s sold out.
Obviously, with 6 teenage kids some wanted to go horse riding, some wanted to do ATV tours etc. We were planning on letting kids decide when we got there what they were up for. NOPE. We had to walk 3/4 mile to get a refund as ticket office couldn’t do refunds. Only gift shop.
In any event, when I mentioned to gift shop manager they should make that clear on webpage. They said it’s in fine print. I stated because 1/2 or more of the folks wouldn’t visit a sold out place. She said exactly.
To add injury to insult, we were harassed on walk from gift shop back to car by several employees as we weren’t wearing our bracelets. The ones we turned in for our refund.

Might be nice, Just book before you go.

Memorable Day In Dogwood Canyon

By AGK5656 |

04.06.25 : An awesome Great Outdoor morning spent in the picturesque Dogwood Canyon Nature Park with streams & waterfalls. This park spans across 2 States; Missouri & Arkansas. We were fortunate to sight many American animals : Bald Eagle 🦅- Bisons🦬 - Elks - Herons - Long Horn Cattle - Deer - Tortoise😍

Many thanks to Rachael, our guide who did great commentary for the 2 hours ride making my 1st visit to Missouri memorable.

Take the tram tour!

By Aimee S |

The park was beautiful and well kept. We did the tram ride and had Rick as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Well worth the money!

One of my favorite Ozark adventures

By HRHORCH |

We had a great day at DWC. We had a chill day, spending time feeding the fish, & having lunch on the patio. Our 5 year old granddaughter played in the treehouse and enjoyed the conservation center above the gift shop. She loved the taxidermy creatures and the live tarantula. We took the afternoon tram tour and got up close and personal with the bison. We also saw a bald eagle, groundhogs, squirrels, a couple of young copperheads in the creek along with lots of trout. Thanks to Ron, our tram driver. Tips: Make tram reservations ahead of time.

Great Park!

We took the tram tour and it was spectacular! Thanks to Larry, who was our guide, we had an incredible experience at the park!!

Beautiful peaceful 10 Stars

By sherick0303 |

This is one of the most beautiful parks we’ve ever been to. So peaceful. So many waterfalls, with creek wandering thru. Lots of fish in ponds & stream. Bobby was a terrific guide on the tram. I’d give it 10 Stars if possible

Enjoyable, beautiful walk interrupted by excessive vehicle traffic.

By IntrepidSon |

We have been a few times and always walk the entire trail. Beautiful environment, great exercise, plenty of stop-and-look nature areas. My one complaint is that they don't use restraint with their maintenance vehicles. We had probably had 40-50 pass us during our walk, and it was noticeably irritating. It won't stop us from returning, but I wish they would institute some policy that prevents their staff from ruining the experience.

Bicycles need Maintenance

By angelica |

My husband and I visited this place on a Friday. We showed up around 3:15 p.m. leaving us with less than 2 hours to explore the park. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the bicycles definitely needed maintenance. The rubber part of my my handle kept slipping out until it completely did. Luckily my husband was able to put it back in place. Then on our way back , my back tire completely blew out as I passed a bridge. I had to get out of the bike and walk it back. Due to the blowout, we missed the souvenir shop (closed at 5).

Where the buffalo roam

By Bryan D |

This is a great place to get away and just relax hiking around the park or buy a Tram ticket and travel across state line into Arkansas to see the bison and Elk ( all still within the park). It's also a phenomenal place to fish. They stock the streams with rainbow trout and some are really big. If I lived in Branson I would have a season pass.

Dogwood Canyon on a beautiful morning!

Beautiful location, definitely an area with potential. The way you walk in is the way you walk out so recommend biking or the tram to get through. There was more to see on the front and in the back of the tour. Come prepared with packed lunch, drinks and time, by foot was almost 3 hours.

Dogwood Canyon Tram Tour

By Bob H |

Well worth it! The Tram Tour was great and Rick is the best guide we have ever had! The views are great and Rick was very knowledgeable.

Beautiful

By Lorie1164 |

We enjoyed everything about Dogwood Canyon. Barry, our guide told us a lot of history about Dogwood Canyon along with other facts about the elk and longhorn steer, plus history of the area.

A lovely day out!

By Anita F |

This is a lovely place to visit we took the tram ride as we wanted to see the bison and elk, it nice to have the option to be able to walk or cycle the trails, our guide James was very informative. We ate it the cafe the bison burger was good.

Outstanding Natural Beauty

By Evonne M |

There is so much beauty there to enjoy. We took the tram, which I highly recommend, to see the vastness of the Park. There is a very rare albino bison along with a pond containing yellow trout. Our tram guide was very knowledgeable and really enhanced the trip. A big shout out to all the marvelous waterfalls. Go to their website for further information as there is a lot to do there

Beautiful nature

By dshoe8616 |

It's a little out of the way to get to, but Dogwood Canyon is beautiful. You can walk, rent bikes, or pay for the tram, which includes a knowledgeable guide (from what we overheard when we were at the same site). Plan on spending a few hours. There is also a restaurant with great bison burgers and bison chili.

Must See!

By Chris C |

This place is amazing. Rick was our tour guide and was very interesting and enthusiastic! The park is stunning and the animals were majestic to see. The entire family had a blast!

Take the tour! Beautiful!

By Trish G. |

We did tram ride and had a great time. We were blessed to get Joe as our guide. He was awesome, fun and very knowledgeable about the park and the whole area. The waterfalls are absolutely gorgeous! There are animals you get to see along the way, that would thrill kids, as well as adults. The 2 hour tour is affordable and a great experience. Much thanks to our guide, Joe! You were great!

Beautiful place and wonderful staff

By Mindyloowho |

We had JR as our guide and let me tell you, he is a trooper. Our tram was delayed about an hour and a half total, between needing to stop to let people off and on, babies needing ac, then an unfortunate accident that required EMTS to come to the park, to a hyper service dog, it was a crazy ride. He answered all kinds of questions, played with the kids, gave fun tidbits, found something in common with people and smiled the whole time. He made the tour what it was and fun. Now to the actual park, it is a beauty to behold. We enjoyed the little stops and picture opportunities, the waterfalls, and wildlife. Tip-go for an early tram ride to see more wildlife. This was such a fun adventure!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!

By Skrimp J |

This place is amazing. So great that we went back a second day. The tram tour is worth every penny, and our guide Rick was an amazing narrator, and made our tour even more memorable. The restaurant food is excellent, clean bathrooms, everything Johnny Morris put into this place is pure perfection. This place is money well spent (and very reasonable). My only regret is that I don’t go on the guided fishing excursion, but the solo fishing is an excellent experience. I cannot say enough about this place. This was our first time visiting Missouri, as we typically visit the Smokey Mountains this time of year. Compared to Cade’s Cove (which I also highly recommend), I think I’d personally have to chose Dogwood Canyon as my favorite.

Worth the cost!

By Delaine N |

We visited in June, 2025 and took the tram tour with Rachel as our guide. The tour was definitely worth the price. We saw the Entire park. We were able to see the elk, bisons and long horned steer. The bisons were almost close enough to touch. But we knew better. Before the tour we stopped in the park restaurant and had the elk soup upon the recommendation of the park host who took our entry tickets. So good!! I took lots of pictures. A great day.

Go!!!

By Alicia T |

Dogwood Canyon was wonderful! Our guide, James, was excellent and I learned so much! Highly recommend the tram tour, but also saw lots of families having a blast walking or biking through the park.

Absolutely beautiful.

By Pam H |

Absolutely beautiiful view, even with windy, drizzly, and overcast weather. Definitely recommend the tram tour. Joe was an awesome tour guide.

Magnificent Nature Park .

By Shawna D |

Magnificent beautiful park with walking and bike trails . The waterfalls and creeks are gorgeous and full of rainbow trout . I highly recommend the tram tour as soon as you arrive then go explore via bike or hike. The restaurant served a delicious meal in view of the gorgeous waterfall. Don’t miss out on this adventure especially if you love the outdoors. It was so incredibly peaceful.

Tram driver Rick is great!

By Shelly |

Tram driver Rick was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and just an all around nice guy! Enjoyed his tour!!!

A MUST

By Odyssey60241503609 |

Unbelievable experience. One of the most beautiful nature places I’ve ever been. Lots of water features and wildlife. The tram ride was excellent. Our guide, Rachel was fantastic!

My FAVORITE attraction in Branson!

By VanEsq12 |

Dogwood Canyon is magnificent, and offers visitors a different experience depending on the season. Admission is required to access the property where you will find walking trails, a gift shop and restaurant. If you want to actually SEE the canyon, you want to take a tram tour, ride bicycles, go horseback riding or fishing, you need to make reservations in advance and pay an additional fee per activity. The restaurant is delicious! I cannot say enough about the bison burger. Delicious! On this visit, I did the one-hour horseback trailride. STEPHANIE was our trailguide, and she did a wonderful job. There are so many things to see and do at Dogwood Canyon. This is a MUST-DO attraction! HINT: Johnny Morris offers a multi-attraction pass to his other conversation-based properties. Do this. Not only is it a money saver, but Top of the Rock AND the aquarium are also MUST-DO attractions!

Beautiful Area

By Chamomile |

This was a beautiful place to take a walk especially in the Autumn/Fall.

I wish more was included with the General Admission ticket. It is recommended that you plan ahead if wanting to participate an any activities (ex. horseback riding, tram tours). I recommend dressing in layers and wearing a good pair of shoes! There are places on the main path to rest and a place to grab a drink/snack, but carrying a bottle of water is a good idea. There are also a few restrooms along the main path.

I will definitely return in the future!

Worth the money for scenery

By Ayse C |

it was our first time in this beautiful park. It really is breathtakingly beautiful We did the tram ride and our driver Angela was amazing . She was knowlegable, friendly and very sweet. We bought our tickets online for entrance and tram ride. first of all let me tell you they re not cheap!!! when we arrived we were greeted by the invisible person ( a woman) behind the glass in entrance . Fist thing she was yelling is if you bought tickets online DONT WAIT HERE !!! Okkkkkk we moved on to the welcome center . walked around a while and looked at the gift shop. we come down to wait for the tram and now there is the not so friendly lady waiting to greet everyone else . She was the one wearing dino socks and mask. She was the second rude person we had the pleasure of talking to. location, scenery , animals , waterfalls and Angela gets the 5 star people greeting you ( 2 ladies ) realy needs to find a different job. they are not cut out for that job. We were there on october 4 2024

Amazing outdoor experience

By Rex A |

This is a beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature. Absolutely stunning views and well maintained trails to walk or ride bikes.

Beautiful

By TMarie1980 |

While you do have to pay admission and then pay for any extras(like the tram), I highly recommend it. The tram ride was a must-do as you see the whole park and see a bunch of animals. The guides are very knowledgeable. The visitors center also has a lot to see. Tons of waterfalls and just a beautiful place.

Fantastic visit

By Erica C |

Visited Dogwood Canyon yesterday and had a fantastic time! We did a tram tour and Ray was an excellent tour guide. The tram tours need to be booked in advance and takes you on a 2hr ride around the canyon. There is a pavilion with picnic tables right next to the parking lot and a restaurant on the premises. Highly recommend if you are in the area, just be aware that it’s not a cheap excursion.

Tram Ride well worth the money

By Matthew H |

Tram ride was fantastic. The ride was very relaxing and our children loved feeding the trout. Loved seeing the elk and buffalo up close

Beautiful Place

By Heather1958 |

We had booked a tram but we're upgraded to a private Jeep tour due to the Garth concert. This was an awesome adventure. We got up close to the wildlife. We were able to get out and take pics. Our guide was a super host.

Loved it!

By Allyson D |

Our family spent pretty much an entire day here. We have 7 children ranging in age from 10 - 25 years old. The very first thing we did was to take the hour long trail ride. The wranglers did an excellent job managing our group. (There were two other people that joined in on the ride with our family.) Everyone in our family is very comfortable riding horses with the exception of myself, but they did such a great job of placing the right person on the right horse and keeping an eye on things, that I was perfectly comfortable throughout the ride. When we were done, we said that we would like to do the longer ride if we ever come back to Missouri! The hiking was very nice and there are different options according to what you want to do.....stay on the paved trails or go off the beaten path. The sights are lovely! The museum displays are also very interesting. I can definitely recommend Dogwood Canyon to others staying in the area!

Great for families

By Gina D |

Everything was clean and well maintained. Our tour guide Larry was very knowledgeable and created a wonderful experience for us. Beautiful Park atmosphere.

Beautiful park

By Rachael O |

We did the tram tour. The tour guide had worked there a long time so she really knew the history and the animals. Pretty sights to see, Chapel, waterfalls, huge trout, elk, bison and more. We had a great time.

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE

By Kay Hicks Murphree |

AMAZING from start to finish! The grounds are immaculate. Joe was our guide for the tram ride and he was phenomenal…knowledgeable and entertaining! If you get a chance to visit JUST DO IT!

Visit to Dogwood Canyon Nature Preserve

By Escape18944647077 |

We signed up for the tram tour. What a wonderful two hours we spent viewing waterfalls, trout swimming, seeing bison, elk and long horned cattle! We traveled in a tram with our guide Debbee who was very knowledgeable and fun to be with! There is a nice cafe, nature center, old water wheel and treehouse. There is a fee to enter and reservations are required for the tours. Both can be purchased online. Again Bebbee was outstanding!

Beautiful and worth it

By Autumn P |

We prepaid for a tram ride tour. It's a beautiful place to visit and worth it all well. Beautiful sights galore. We also did a little learning at their museum, shopping, and ate outside by the giant waterfall. It's beautiful.

Do it!

By Jennifer H |

So beautiful! Barry was our tram driver. He had so much information and fun facts. The tram ride was about 2 hours and well worth the thine and $. The area is so pretty. Highly recommend visiting the park. You can walk, ride a bike or take a tram. Highly recommend for a family, would spend all day wandering the park and admiring the beauty!

Even I love it.

By formeryogi |

I am NOT a nature lover... I'm a city boy. Much to my wife's chagrin, I'm done with national parks and the Grand Canyon after 30-minutes. HOWEVER, I LOVE this place. It is so well done and I, of all people, could spend hours at this park and enjoy every minute. I sooo applaud the mission and concept and it makes me want to buy exclusively from Bass Pro Shops to support the cause.

Wildlife tram tour

By Lets GO! |

Beautiful park! We took the wildlife tram tour. Joe was our guide and he was a good one!! He was very knowledgeable on the history, wildlife, attractions along the tour and threw in some humor to boot! A+
If you take the morning tour, bring a jacket. :)

Not all can ride a bike or walk through the six mile park.

By Linda M |

I had bought package tickets online. My husband, two friends, and myself drove an hour because of traffic. We got there, got our tickets and was told no tram rides were available. We are all senior citizens and two can’t walk very far. We tried it. They didn’t make it very far and was unable to continue. I went to the desk and asked if there was transportation available through the park. On the commercial it shows bicycles (not an option but was available), horse back rides were not offered, and golf cart rides shown on the commercial was not offered, and no trams were available for the whole day. I asked for a refund or tickets for a different day and was told no that I didn’t pay enough for my tickets?? According to who?

Well Worth the Money!

By Bill B |

Absolutely beautiful! From the gift shop, to the restaurant, to the nature center - all featured a part of Ozark Mountain history. The tram ride was spectacular, and our guide Rachel, was great.

Awesome tour guide

By Eileen M |

We had taken the tram ride at Dogwood Canyon a total of 3 times before out last trip on Monday, August 12. It is always such a beautiful place but our experience was much enhanced by our tour guide Barry. He added so much more detail into his tour and we felt like we learned so much more than we ever did. A shoutout to Barry for being such a wonderful tour guide!!

Lovely

By DebF57 |

We love nature and although I know some it was man made, the place is just beautiful. Such a peaceful and tranquil place. The restaurant was absolutely delicious and ambiance gorgeous ( facing the large waterfall). Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Branson

Amazing Day

By Carrie |

A group of us girls, age 46-80 came to the Park to spend the day. We took the tram tour and Angela was our tour guide. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had a blast with her. She took great care of the older guests and gave us plenty of time at stops to get good photos, etc. The Park is stunning, so well maintained, I cannot say enough positive things. If I lived in Branson I would definitely spend time hiking, walking, fishing here often. The elk and bison got close enough to touch (we did not, of course) Highly recommend.

The Dogwood Canyon Nature Park Tram Tour, the memory of a lifetime.

By Evelyn Y |

The Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is wonderful and we especially want to thank Joe for being the "Best Ever" Tour Guide on our wonderful 2 hour Tram Tour through the Park on August 29, 2024. The Park is so beautiful and he was so friendly, knowledgeable, interesting, helpful and funny, making the tour enjoyable and a special memory we will treasure for a lifetime. Evelyn Young, Arnold and Judy Kirby

Beauty and fun!

By SallyAllen_TX |

Fantastic tram tour with Barry. We learned so much about the area, the trees, fish and waterfalls.
Also, lunch was great at their restaurant.

Beautiful but pricey

By LGJCMO |

Absolutely beautiful. My husband and I have been going here for several years. We were (unhappily) surprised this time by an entrance fee and a $40 charge per person for the tram ride. (we chose to walk) There is gorgeous scenery everywhere which makes for great photo ops. We ate in the restaurant for the first time, which was pricey but good.

Great park experience!

By Sheri D |

We started the day taking the tram tour, and our tour guide Joe was so much f7n and ver6 informative. We really enjoyed it! We later did a bike tour, and our guide Josh was super nice and knew a lot about the trees and plants in the area. Great park experience, and the restaurant food was very good too.

Great tram ride.

By Ed K |

Did the tram tour. Very good experience. Our driver, Joe, provided a great historical narration. With the tram you get to see animals you wouldn’t on a hike or bike tour. This is a great place to bike ride or picnic for a few hours. I will definitely return.

Dogwood Canyons is a must see!!

By Tracy M |

Dogwood Canyons is a must if you head to Branson, Missouri!! Our tram driver, Joe, was amazing. We had 24 kids and grandkids for my Mom’s 75th birthday. Joe made it super special for Oma’s birthday. The scenery is outstanding and Joe will tell you the history of the preserve on the two plus hour ride. It’s also very affordable. This was the highlight of our trip! Thanks Joe!!

Well-worth the time to visit.

By specialteacherokc |

Highly recommend stopping at Dogwood Canyon if you are in the area. It is a bit pricey, as it costs $20 just to walk onto the property, and then all the activities are separate fees. However, if you are willing to do some walking or biking and really take advantage of all the park has to offer, then I’d say you’d get your money’s worth. The tram is a must-do if it’s your first time. The guides give such great information, and you get to see all the highlights. Horseback riding is on our to-do list in the future.

Segway tour was amazing

By Amber S |

We took the segway tour. My husband and 20 year old son were grumbling beforehand thinking we were all going to die. We had a blast, and it was misting, lightly raining the entire time. You really have to know your children though. I have a 22, 20, 17 and 14 year old. The 14 year old had the hardest time. She endured the tour, while the older kids enjoyed it. James was a great guide. He clearly can read a group and adjust to what you want. The segways ended up being a highlight of our trip. We took the tram tour afterwards to see the Bison, elk, etc. You really wouldn't need to do both If your family is active and up for adventure, take the segway tour and call it good.

Do the tram tour, ask for Joe.

By Dave S |

Nature, history and some story telling. What's not to love. We did the tram tour and it was well worth the money. The ride was very comfortable and our guide, Joe was great. We saw Elk and Bison close up...VERY close up. Did I mention how awesome Joe was? Don't skip this tour. (give Joe a raise)

Get family place

Rick out tour guide was amazing!! Will go again. Been to branson many times and never to dogwood. Now we will be adding it to our stops

Beautiful and Must See

By Nana |

Beautiful park and wonderful Tram ride with Larry today! Well worth my 5 hour drive to see the park! I highly recommend this park to anyone traveling in the area. Note- the restaurant closes at 3pm, so plan accordingly.

Very enjoyable tram tour

By Randy D |

My wife and I signed up for the tram tour as we wanted the best experience for our first visit and we were not disappointed. Our guide Rick was the best there is. Very knowledgable, witty, cautious and an incredible driver of the truck and tram through the many tight spots. The park was beautiful. The bison and elk were out and close to us as we drove by. The waterfalls were stunning. The fish in the stream were also fun to watch. We went on a Tuesday morning in August and we had a great time. Not too many people. The two hour tour was worth the price for us.

A selkie is a selfie with an elk

By William E |

We had a great experience at Dogwood Canyon. We particularly enjoyed the tram ride with Angela our guide. She shared in depth knowledge and had such positive energy. The highlight was my selfie with Princess the Elk.

Nice but overpriced.

By Ylynn L |

It was a great experience. We took the 2 hour tram tour and our guide, Larry, was very nice and knowledgeable about the park. Only issue is, it is overpriced. We paid almost $180 just for 3 people for entrance and the tram.

MUST SEE!!

By Kevin D |

What an amazing place. Most attractions with Johnny Morris's name on them are first class. Every aspect of this adventure was beautiful. Plan a good 5 hours to visit. The tram driver Joe was as entertaining as he was knowledgeable! Highly recommend.

Dogwood canyon is great!

By Michael N |

We came for the scenery, but we stayed for JR.

Dogwood Canyon is pure magic—crystal-clear streams, waterfalls around every bend, and more wildlife than a Disney movie. But what really made the day unforgettable? Our guide, JR. The man’s a walking encyclopedia with a sense of humor sharp enough to cut through limestone. He knew every tree, trail, and trout by name (probably), and he somehow made learning about moss feel like an action movie.

Whether you’re a nature nerd, a casual stroller, or just here for the Instagram shots, JR brings the canyon to life. 10/10 would follow him into the woods again.

Truly memorable experience!

By Jalex1954 |

Our tour guide was Joe. The expertise and knowledge that he possessed was outstanding. He was so interesting and funny! The scenery was gorgeous and we saw Elk, Buffalo, Eagles, and Groundhogs not to mention trout. We learned about the Osage Indians, black bears, and the mating habits of bald eagles! We both enjoyed it immensely! We are older and had a little trouble walking back to the car and Karl picked us up and drove us to our car. It was a wonderful experience. 10/10!

Best treasure in the state!

By Jana J |

This is my new favorite place in all of MO. We spent most of day here. I highly recommend the tram tour (2-hours and worth the extra fee), especially for people with mobility issues. Our guide, Joe, made sure we saw all of the highlights, including the wildlife. He gave a wonderful narration and I learned a lot about the history of the area. As a retired science nature I can safely say that he knew his biology and botany and was able to answer every question asked. Most trails were smooth and all were well marked with difficulty ratings. The park is pet, family and handicap friendly with elevators in buildings, wheel chair ramps and lifts. Be sure to check out the bike rentals including regular bikes, kid bikes and bikes with trailers for small kids. I especially liked that the park is nonprofit and any money spent goes back to the park. The food in the restaurant was mediocre, but comfortable and offered excellent views. I would love to go back and do some fishing. It is catch and release or you can pay $5/pound to keep and they will pack on ice for you. Guided fishing available also.

Slice of paradise!

By Sondra K |

Beautiful area! We took the tram tour which we found to be very informative (two hours). Mickey was a wonderful tour guide. The canyon is a slice of paradise and the nature preserve is kept up well. There are hiking / walking trails( which my husband ran on) as well as the opportunity to bike and horseback . Great restaurant too!

FANTASTIC !

By Pam W |

FANTASTIC! We absolutely love this place. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks to our amazing guide Rick who was most informative on our tour. This is now our 3rd visit and can’t wait to come back again.

A MUST DO!!

By Rachel |

This was an amazing experience for us and very kid friendly. We did the Wildlife Tram Tour and it was worth every penny. Joe was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable on the area and it’s history and made sure we had plenty of photo opportunities.

The tram tour was 2 hours and a great way to see most of the sights throughout the canyon without having to hike with a stroller. My husband also did a 1 hour self guided trout fishing and was able to rent a pole.

We got lots of great photos of Elk, Longhorn Cattle, & Bison.

Great trip

By Alicia N |

Tram ride is worth the money. Our guide Joe was phonemenol and made it such a great experience!! Gorgeous place!!

Awesome

By Tom H |

Thanks to James our Tram tour was a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable in telling us the History of the area. I would consider this a must do if you are visiting the area. Cost vs benefit is reasonable to getting to see all the waterfalls and wildlife. Thanks again James

Amazing and Beautiful

By Jill G. |

We loved our visit to Dogwood Canyon! We took the two hour tram ride with James as our guide. He was informative and entertaining, and we learned things about the area that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. We then rented bikes and rode through the park, stopping to investigate waterfalls and other sites on our own. It’s a beautiful and restful place—so relaxing and just provides a great way to connect with the outdoors. I would love to see it in the Fall!

Memorable afternoon private tour with James, the guide

By Mary Jo S |

We had the good fortune to enjoy a private tour instead of a tram tour (which we had done before and is an excellent way to see the area). James was our private tour guide. OH. MY. GOODNESS...what an experience!! He is so knowledgeable and personable! Seeing all the animals up close and riding through areas tram riders do not see, coupled with James' talk/observations/background info, made it such a memorable fun afternoon. We HIGHLY recommend the private tour and especially HIGHLY recommend James, guide extraordinaire!!👍🏻👍🏻❤

too pricey

By Darryl R |

The tram tour was excellent however you have to buy park admission to be able to take it. Admission lasts all day but there is only so much to do unless you are a hiker , the museum is just okay , the tram tour lasts 2 hrs and really your done in 3-4 hours so about 60 a piece for both of us. I would like for our kids and grandkid to do the tram tour but at that cost , no. We noticed very few children . We would not go back . We have checked out other Johnny Morris places like Top of the Rock and others but I find their pricing structure very confusing.

Dogwood Canyon: A Peaceful Ozark Escape Worth Every Penny

By SingleMomAdventures |

Dogwood Canyon is a breathtaking, unspoiled oasis nestled in the Ozarks—a must-see destination for nature lovers and families alike. 🌿🍃🌳 The atmosphere is serene, scenic, and incredibly relaxing, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Branson or the lake.

Don’t miss the tram tour!
While the combined cost of admission and tram tickets may seem steep, the experience is absolutely worth it. The 2-hour guided ride includes several stops for quick photo ops at waterfalls, a charming chapel ⛪️, and up-close views of bison, elk, and longhorns. 🦬

My kids (ages 10 and 13) had a blast! Other families with elementary-aged children seemed to enjoy it too, though I wouldn’t recommend it for toddlers—two little ones on our tour struggled to sit still and became quite fussy (screaming).

The tram is also the only way to see the animals, as the walking and biking trails don’t pass through the wildlife pastures. If you're visiting in the summer, opt for the morning ride—our 9:30–11:30 a.m. tour was pleasantly breezy, even with temps in the mid-90s. Later in the day, the limestone canyon retains heat and can get uncomfortably hot.

Other ways to explore the canyon:
• Hike the scenic trails 🥾
• Rent bikes 🚴🏼‍♀️ or book a horseback ride 🐴
• Bring your dog 🦮 —they’re welcome!
• Try your hand at fishing in one of the many ponds 🎣
• Let the kids explore the beautiful treehouse built by the Treehouse Master Pete Nelson

Dining & Amenities:
The on-site restaurant offers delicious options for a quick bite or a full lunch. From trout dip and bison tacos to hearty sandwiches and burgers, there’s something for everyone—and it’s all tasty!

Bonus: Parking is FREE.

Beautiful area!

By JTG2011 |

What a beautiful area to spend the day! We enjoyed our tram tour so much. James was an amazing host- so friendly and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to return!

Can You Hear Me Now?

By Spencer A |

This was our 3rd time at Dogwood Canyon, decided to take the tram tour this time. Dianne was our tram guide, she was great! The weather was perfect, the views were awesome. We were really happy that we were able to watch 3 male Elk try to corral the females to stay with them. Also saw Bison and Texas Longhorns.

Unfortunately for the tour, Dianne's audio connection to the speakers kept cutting out, she handled it great, but had to stop several times to get out and tell us up close what should have gone over the speakers.

Considering that everything Johnny Morrison does is first class, this was a bit of a letdown. From observing other trams, communications appear to be a common problem that should be fixed.

Totally worth it.

By hoppymj |

We had 13 of us that rode the tram. It was totally worth taking the tram. We had Joe as our tour guide and he was so into it which made it all the better for us. He couldn't tell us enough about the animals in the park. We have told many people about this hidden gem.

Beautiful Natural Outdoor Experience

By travelingfolks4650 |

This nature park is a lovely place to take the entire family. You can hike, ride bikes, go fishing, go horseback riding, take a narrated tram ride, have a meal … spend the day enjoying the natural beauty of the Ozarks. We’ve been here many times and it never fails to make a fantastic outing.

Beautiful place to visit

By tammysizemore |

What a treat! We had an incredible day at Dogwood Canyon starting with the two hour tram ride though the park. Our guide Rachel was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip a great experience.
The park is stunning! So many gorgeous photo ops.
After the ride we came upon a gentleman teaching foraging. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a quick tour of the nearby eatables.
And finished with a delicious meal in the restaurant. Our waitress was a delight and so helpful with special dietary requests.
We almost canceled our plans due to a rainy forecast, which thankfully didn’t come. So very glad we didn’t.

Beautiful

By mlmdaisy |

This is a very beautiful venue. The surroundings are so lovely, with so many waterfalls and other natural features. We took the tram tour, and it was excellent. Our guide, Barry, provided so much information and handled the driving and pacing with great expertise. The lunch at the restaurant was somewhat disappointing. I had the mushroom pita and the mushrooms were swimming in sauce; they were hard to find. The hummus under everything was salty and terrible.

Love the Scenery

By Angie F |

This place is beautiful and the best part was it wasn’t crowded. We took the 2 hour tram ride and James did a fantastic job explaining everything and giving us plenty of time to just stop at different places to enjoy the scenery. We would for sure come back here again!! You could easily spend an entire day here!!

Worth a visit

By Carol B |

Dogwood Canyon was a great experience for us and our two grandchildren ages 11 and 14. We chose the tram tour which was 2 hours in duration and took us through a loop around the park. We saw waterfalls and interesting wildlife along the way. Our tour guide Rachel was friendly and knowledgeable. Hiking and bicycling are also available. We might try the bicycles next visit. We ate at the restaurant located on the property. There was a limited menu but the food was quite good.

Don't bother calling in advance.

By Diane V |

Beautiful Park, beautiful scenery, CRAPPY customer service.
Even though I called in advance to make sure that dogs were allowed, I was assured they were welcome everywhere but the dining room. The young woman I spoke with even added that they seated on the patio, where your dog is welcome, until 4. WONDERFUL, we thought.
...Until we get there. The woman in the ticket booth said the patio was not open. Hadn't been open for a week. But I called. We drove 2 1/2 hours. Her response was "did you call the Call Center?" How would I know? I called a number on your website. Someone who spoke good english answered. Seems, from her attitude and the attitude of 2 others, I should known better.
Then, on to lunch. $70 gets you 2 very dry Bison Burgers, cold spinach dip, stale chips and a drink.
If the park itself had not been so beautiful, I would have given it 1 star. Piss poor customer service.

Love this park.

By wisteriabarb |

Gorgeous park with many waterfalls. Easy walking or more challenging trails are available. Fantastic restaurant. Bikes for rent or bring your own. Horseback riding is a simple trail ride but fun if you’ve never done. All very well presented. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Beautiful and natural views.

By Cynthia7272 |

This is an absolutely gorgeous park with a long walking trail (about 3 miles each way)! If you want to take the tram you have to arrive super early and pay about $40 per person. We walked it because we were ready to walk anyway. Bring good shoes and water bottles. I’m happy we walked it though because it’s much more tranquil and you can stop at any time and soak up the beauty. The restaurant on site has delicious food. We ate lunch there! I had the Reuben (yummy!) and my family had the bison burgers. They said it was very good, too. The views are spectacular! If you’re going for the first time, you will also love it!

Naturally beautiful place

This is a beautiful place. River, waterfalls, forest. We took a tram ride and saw and learned about bison, longhorns, and elk. It is a bit pricey, but it was 2 hours. (Tip the driver- I noticed most folks didn’t) Food is available-restaurant inside and counter service outside. We had bison burger, avocado veggie sandwich, the chips are great. Frozen apple cider hit the spot. You can go and hike, walk by the river , see artifacts, with just an entrance fee.

Breathtaking and interesting.

We loved this park! Beautiful grounds including several waterfalls. We took the two hour tram ride, which was an extra fee, but we’ll worth it. We saw bison, elk, longhorns, an eagle and lots of hungry trout. One of the elk even came up to us to investigate. Our tram guide was Joe and his knowledge and personality were fantastic. He stopped several times along the way to point out features and tell historical stories. We ate at the restaurant, the bison burgers and elk soup were very good! There are several buildings to explore including a treehouse, church and conservation area. You can also rent bikes which I would recommend because the grounds are quite extensive.

Go for sure! Lots of fun and beautiful!

An Absolute Gem

This place is just stunning. We had no idea what we were in for when we signed up for a tram tour. Rick was our guide and he was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and friendly. He was just a wealth of information! We can’t wait to go back.

Amazing Place For Nature & Animal Lovers - Time It Right Though For Best Weather

By JellyB |

Spectacular, but best in mid-Late Sping, brief period in fall when colors are changing, and if you're brave and want to bundle open, pretty in Winter.

We took the tram ride. It was well organized and highly informative and goes quite a ways back in the canyon. This place is a photographer's dream. We were lucky enough to have Bison right next to the tram at one point including babies. Saw other wildlife close up but I heard it's more common to see them at a distance so don't expect this to be a zoo-like experience.

The visitor center has incredible architecture and is fascinating to explore. The restaurant, albeit a little pricey, is worth the price for the above average food for a visitor's center and the spectacular waterfall views.

There's so much to do here. You can rent bikes or go fishing on your own or guided or even take a jeep tour. In the heat of the Summer though, the visit would be less enjoyable as you can't swim in any of the bodies of water in the park.

Larry, our tram guide, did terrific job of explaining and being very informative! Loved the elk and bison areas!

Don’t leave Branson without visiting!

Dogwood Canyon is beautiful, whether walking, biking or taking the tram. Founder and builder Johnny Morris’ love of nature is seen in every part of the many trails!

Beautiful

What a beautiful area to spend the day in. Dogwood Canyon area is so beautiful. My husband and I travel around visiting National Parks and this park is every bit as beautiful and worthy of visiting. There are lots of things to enjoy through the Canyon area (waterfalls, creeks, rock bridges and other beautiful cliff formations), and good food. You can bicycle the area, walk or ride the tram. Don’t miss this gem!

Paradise in the Ozarks!

This place is paradise in the Ozarks! It is a only a 45 min drive from Branson making it a great place to visit while in Branson. It is so beautiful with plenty of shade, a winding river with waterfalls along it. There is aver 2.5 miles of trail that you can either walk or ride bikes along. We did the Horseback ride and it was excellent. You follow along a river and cross it several times which is fun. The Segway tour was so much fun and Lance was an excellent tour guide and did a great job teaching us a new riders and make the tour so much fun. We also did the private tour which was worth every penny. Joe was a great guide and made sure that the tour fit what we wanted to do and see. We were able to go and see places that were not available from the Tram. We also biked to the end of the trail and back. We spent 3 days there loved it. Everyone there was super helpful and Laura in the reservations office was amazing to work with to make the reservations and she went out of her way to make sure that the times all worked for our visit. Don’t miss your opportunity to spend some time in this Oasis in the Ozarks!

Rude staff

Employee yelled at us to leave as we were deciding if we wanted to hike or not. Guess we didn’t do it fast enough for her. Won’t be back.
It was about noon on the 27th

Just do it
