Far from the clichés of parks with marine animals, we were very well received; all members of the team listen, take time for you and advocate animal welfare. The small structure invites you to ask questions, there is a “family” spirit where you are welcomed with open arms.
We learned a lot and left with lots of memories.

I loved my experience at DPMMR. I felt the dolphins were well cared for and respected, and I enjoyed the educational component that helped me further appreciate these beautiful and intelligent mammals. I am a huge fan of the kindness of both the dolphin trainers while they encouraged the dolphins and re-routed "wrong" behaviors, as well as the dolphins who seemed as happy to be there as I was. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to interact with dolphins in a respectful, sustainable way.

My grown-up daughter loves Dolphins Plus so this was my 2nd time hanging out with a dolphin there for an afternoon. My daughter has done it 4 or 5 times I think. We both left there with fresh dolphin works of art (painting) & loads of smiles. I highly recommend Dolpins Plus.

We took our family to celebrate our birthday to swim with the dolphins. It was amazing! The Dolphins were great, and the staff was extremely professional and friendly.

Awesome experience. Knowlegeable and friendly staff. The interaction with the dolphins was amazing. Great organization on a great mission of taking care of dolphins in distress. My only wish is that the time in the water was a little longer. This was fairly expensive for the small amount of time in the water.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dockside visit with Jett the Dolphin! His trainer sat nearby and showed me the hand motions to make each time to have Jett perform his skills for me. It was very enjoyable, and the price was right for me. The staff was very willing to allow my husband to video and take photos. He had to pay the general admission fee of $15, but it was worth it to see the dolphins in action! It was a nice quiet and personal atmosphere, also! The gift shop has t-shirts you can buy with the name of the dolphin who you work with, so it will be a nice memory and help this facility earn money towards the work they do with these wonderful mammals!

By far the best experience ever! Facility is amazing and my entire family had a great time! Would definitely recommend!

The first time we visited the Keys we enjoyed Theater of the Seas. This time we chose a less touristy version and chose the behind-the-scenes tour of Dolphins Plus. It’s clear that the staff cares about the six dolphins who reside at the center: two mothers, each with two children. Without seeing a theatrical show, we enjoyed watching the dolphins interact and have fun. Feeding time was especially enjoyable. Going behind the scenes we saw the preparation that goes into feeding and the thought that goes into providing engaging activities for the dolphins. Note that the center’s goals extend far beyond caring for the resident dolphins and includes animal welfare, research, and rescue/rehabilitation.

We did the connect to protect program for four of us and it was absolutely fantastic. My kids are 15, 13 and 10. The staff was friendly and amazing. I did a lot of research and chose MMR because it is a nonprofit and they do rescue. I felt better doing it with an organization like that. Also, I found the fees on the tour were slightly lower than others which was nice- likely bc it is a non profit.

The staff was wonderful to our briefing to all of the trainers in the water.

We got extremely lucky and it was just our family doing the experience and we got to do a lot – we had several dolphins to play with , got kisses – held a pole for them to jump over, waves, and unlike other facilities – we got three rides including one with two dolphins. It was an experience of a lifetime. The dolphins are so strong and beautiful. I wouldn’t recommend this particuLar experience for kids who are younger or more fearful I send this is very up and personal and you go very fast – dolphins can go up to 20 mph! They have other calmer experiences for them. The dolphins seemed very well cared for and happy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. My kids all want to be dolphin trainers now! Thx MMR for an unforgettable morning.

My only improvement would be to include photos or make it a bit more reasonable- when you are spending that much.

A thoroughly enjoyable, and educational experience! The staff, particularly Tina, are not only knowledgeable but obviously SO enthusiastic about the wellbeing of the dolphins. The faces of the children clearly expressed their wonder and pure pleasure at interacting with these amazing animals, emotions also shared by the adults! Please keep up the great work Tina!

The majority of the experience was spent learning about the center and the plight of dolphins, which was important and made me feel that my money was going to a worthy cause. The time with the dolphins was completely choreographed and very limited, but the photos shows a big smile on my face. This might be a better experience for families than for solo travelers. I will say the staff were super nice and accommodating! And of course the dolphins were amazing!

We were looking for some entertainment for our 6 kids ages 7 to 16! The faces of our kids was priceless when they were lowered to water level and actually got to rub and play games with the two boy dolphins. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Very friendly staff, lovely dolphins. We chose the activity with a rainbow water ring and we enjoyed it. It looks like the dolphins are dringend well here

It was an incredible experience for the whole family!!! The facility is run by super nice specialists and trainers who care about the welfare and protection of the dolphins and it is so important to support this project because it is purely for the benefit of the dolphins.

What an amazing experience to share with your family. The trainers and staff made it such a memorable moment and which seemed so tailored to her that once we returned to our hotel, my daughter had to tell everyone that she came into contact with about the experience. If you are in the area and truly want something that allows your family to be fully immersed in a wildlife experience this is the thing to do. To add to the experience, every thing that you donate or spend there goes back to helping the waters and sea life. So not only are your receiving an amazing gift, but giving back at the same time.

It is a must see and must do activity to do while visiting Key Largo !!!!!

My husband and I were in the Keys for a getaway from the west coast of Florida and stumbled upon the Marine Mammal Responder facility. What an amazing experience for us! While we did not swim with the dolphins, we attended an educational talk and scheduled a behind the scenes care tour. We also watched as others swam with the dolphins - an absolutely breathtaking experience! The folks that work with the dolphins are totally passionate about what they do and are so knowledgable. We learned many things during our laid back and enjoyable time there. You won't be dissapointed.

It was a very special experience to be able to interact with these amazing dolphin. The staff was very nice. The encounter was very organized. This is not a timed event. You work off of dolphin time to ensure all of the different skills/experiences are enjoyed by everyone in your group. It takes about 2 hours and it's worth every minute. Tell a friend! It's a must do experience.
Bonus Tip: Grab lunch a block down the street at Backyard Cafe. Casual walk up local dining on the dock. Lots of fish, nurse sharks and tarpon to enjoy while eating lunch. Good was really good too. Get the Cuban Mahi sandwich!

This well run experience was worth every penny. We did the deeper water and got to be up close with the dolphins offering us a ride which will not be forgotten! The caretakers love these animals and respect them so much, which was very evident. For those who shy away because of the animals are in these safe spaces, don’t. They learn from and share with marine mammal organizations, so they can promote protection and health in the ocean. The funds they charge are used for some of that too

WOW! I am TERRIFIED of large bodies of water & make it a point to avoid everything not on land... but my 10yr old daughter wanted to try this. I put on my big girl swim suit & we did it.... NOT the swim, but the splash & wade & it was FREAKING AWESOME! Alex & Syd (the trainers) were so patient & kind & just amazing. I am literally unable to describe just how magical this was... it is a little pricey, but they are a non profit & all of the $ goes to the facility & the amazing work they do. Its NOT a sprawling water park with all the bells & whistles & not a facility like a whole day sea world thing. No frills, just go there knowing you'll be touching dolphins & learning a ton of info about them.. Also, they answered all my questions.. like random why do they have these scratches & why are some bellies pink & how well do they see .. how do they sleep? Its very straight forward & just all about the dolphins & the experience with them. Highly recommend. We loved it!

This whole experience was so amazing! We did the full Connect to Protect package and it was so worth it. Everyone that worked there was so friendly, from the reception staff to the interns and dolphin trainers. They did a great job explaining everything to us and making us feel comfortable and safe, while having the time of our lives...despite the fact that it was pouring rain! They were all such good sports out there in the pouring rain with us. We were so glad we purchased the photo package too because there were some great photos in there! Overall, just an amazing experience and it was so cool to see how smart and talented the dolphins are up close. We could also tell how much the trainers really care for and respect the animals and that was really nice to see. 10/10 recommend!!

This is a must do Keys Experience! The staff was attentive to the entire family, 3 generations. We all came away with a better understanding of Dolphin and above all, memories that will last forever!

Our three teenage daughters absolutely loved the whole experience! From the moment we stepped foot inside the staff was so warm, welcoming and friendly. You can tell they care for these dolphins with great care and commitment. Our daughters loved the water experience with the dolphins. The photos taken were awesome and we bought the whole photo package. Definitely an experience the girls will always remember and having the photos is a great memory. Don't hesitate to book with them. They will not rush you through the process either. Well worth the money!

Found this place by accident but wow what a place to visit. Looks like a house along the street but once inside it’s amazing. Loved the attention and time the staff gave us. We did the tour but will be back to do more. Make sure you visit

First we learned about dolphins and the rescue efforts being made. Then we got into the water on a platform and learned hand signals to use. The dolphins responded with kisses, jumps, and other behavior. My husband and I then got into the water and the trainers had the dolphins come to us so we could grab onto their fins and get towed across the lagoon. It was even more fun than we expected! Their photographer took amazing photos we were able to order and plan to frame and hang in addition to being my new phone wallpaper.

I booked this Half-day trainer experience for my 12 year old grandson. It could not have been better. He will have memories for a lifetime and wants to go again! All the staff were amazing

We made an excellent choice choosing DPMMR, Our hotel resort recommended and they didn't disappoint. I love that they are a nonprofit and working to build a hospital.

The swim with the dolphins was the highlight of our trip to the Florida Keys. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone. It was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Nothing short of amazing!

We opted for the dockside experience and it was great. We were able to give Jessica, the matriarch of the group, back rubs, chin rubs, a couple hand signals. Next time we will opt to swim with the dolphins. We watched others swim with them and it was wonderful. We opted for this facility due to the fact they are a rescue and rehab facility. They provide you with some education before your program as well. Highly recommend.

I love that Dolphins Plus does marine mammal response and that the funds they raise go towards that. I had an amazing experience here with dolphins Jessica and Dinghy. Only disappointment was that I was in and out in just under an hour, when their website said 1.5-2 hours. They should maybe change that.

This was a very immersive experience. Would definitely recommend. The only thing I would suggest is, more time in the water with the dolphins.

We had a very informative and nice experience. Our teen took part in a dolphin swim, and he really enjoyed it. The trainers were really good, and we felt safe and comfortable.

I gave this as a Mother's day present to my Mother visiting from NC . She is 78 and had the biggest smile the entire time. Staff was friendly and took time to answer all our questions . It was an amazing experience and the photo package captured every moment .

Hands down the best!!!! We chose to do the "Splash & Swim" and I would go it every day if I could. Very informative. Only thing I wish we got to do was feed the dolphins as well. Side note, don't wear a two piece bathing suit!! You just might lose your bottoms 😂

Highly recommend! We did the Connect to Protect swim with the photo package. We got there a bit early so we go to watch the trainers feeding and working with the dolphins. The session started with an educational talk that was interesting and informative. The swim was the highlight of our day! The staff was wonderful and the dolphins we got to meet were absolutely incredible! My kids (10 & 12) loved every minute we were there! It’s obvious that these animals are well loved and cared for! We will definitely be back!

The photo package was definitely worth it and we got lots of great pictures to remember our day!

I have been to swim with the dolphins several times at DPMMR and it is always an incredible experience! It is especially fun to take first timers with me because they get so much enjoyment out of hanging out with these incredible creatures! The team at DPMMR is always professional, knowledgeable and super nice! We will keep coming back and bringing friends to see the great work that they do!

The DPMMR lived up to its 5 star reviews! Our teenage daughters had an incredible experience- Christina and Jenna were great and the stars of the show were Jessica and Dinghy, visually impaired dolphins, who were happy to play with new friends. The dolphins are cared for, respected, and not forced to perform. The pictures taken during the experience made for amazing memories. I highly recommend supporting this nonprofit program.

Having the opportunity to swim with the dolphins at DPMMR was truly an incredible experience! The dolphins were well-trained and really seemed happy and thrilled to do what they do. Every single staff member was amazing, not only with the knowledge they possess and the kindness they extended, but also with how they interacted with the Dolphins. The staff kept us informed every step of the way and stuck by their motto - that they run on Dolphin time! Our experience was not rushed at all and the staff made sure that we got to enjoy several very special interactions with our mammal friends. In addition, It made my family and I so proud to know that DPMMR is a NOT FOR PROFIT organization and everything goes to the care and well-being of the Dolphins and their rescue missions. We will most certainly be back!

We weren't able to coordinate a time to do the in-water experience, but it was well worth the time just to stop in and visit the facility. We arrived just as they were starting a program and we were able to watch from the dock. We were next to the trainer for Baby Bit and she was having her do flips and tricks right in front of us. Worth the $15 for the upclose views. My son liked the parrot, Jack, that hangs out on the side of the building. There are also pelicans that come by to check out the dolphin treats. Was definitely one of the highlights of our trip for my teen daughter.

The most magical, thrilling and heartwarming experience! The staff is so enthusiastic. They are deeply dedicated to the dolphins in this rescue sanctuary. I want to go to Dolphin Life again and again.

We had a great time with the dolphins, and the trainers were amazing. However, we had to split into 2 groups because our group was so big. I think they had overbooked for our time slot, as there were more than what they had told us was the largest they could accomodate. They also told us that we would get to do so many interactions with the dolphins, however, everyone in our group only got to do 2 interactions with the dolphins, and then one pull across a small pool. Each other group all had different interactions, so I assume if we were a smaller, not overbooked group, we would have gotten to participate in all of the interactions. For the $250 USD that was paid, per person, I don't believe the time we got to spend actually interacting with the dolphins was enough. The young boys (5 and 8) were quite disappointed with the time the actually got to spend with them.

Highly recommend this place for dolphin swimming. It was a great experience for everyone in our group, age 8-40. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they truly are out to make a positive impact on the dolphins in their care and in the wild. The money feels like it's going to a good cause. The venue is small, and therefore our family was able to get great pictures and have fun watching the people who participated. We also bought the dolphin picture package because they got some great shots!

It was a stretch to do the personal dolphin connect but so worth it! The staff was patient and very engaging and we had the most tremendous experience as a family! 100% would recommend supporting this organization with a dolphin interaction.

It gave us the possibility to enjoy the dolphins in respect with their nature. They were not obliged to do some performances. The trainers had clear and simple instructions for us. We really enjoyed it!!!

Went to observe the family swim but ended up swimming with them, could not resist. Definitely worth it, employees, trainers and of course all of the DOLPHINS were fantastic.

It was a fantastic experience. We took our 6-year-old granddaughter and she loved it and was amazed. She was able to touch a dolphin and kiss a dolphin truly fantastic! I loved my time with the dolphins and their trainers. I learned so much about how they care & love the dolphins. The connection that each trainer has with the dolphins is astonishing. They can communicate with hand jesters, talking to them and using a whistle. The dolphin are so happy to do what the trainer ask. They thrive on the attention they get. I LOVED MY EXPERIENCE! JUST DO IT I SAY GO FOR IT!

What a wonderful program the Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder runs! I was looking for a swim with dolphins experience that would be respectful of the animals, but I got so much more. Dolphins Plus offered a brief lecture on dolphins from a college intern that was clearly well educated in the program, dolphins and their environment. We were not only able to swim with the dolphins, but completely interact. My kids absolutely loved it, my 13 year old had the largest smile on her face in every single picture. Such a great memory!

The dolphins are friendly and very well trained. There is a lot of interaction (MUCH more than just looking at / petting dolphins) and you get to participate in the dolphin tricks. This was a really special experience and completely exceeded our expectations. The staff and trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their work with the dolphins. Highly, highly recommend!

My 12 years old did the dolphin swim and had an incredible time. The dolphins are so wonderful and my kids were able to interact with them for a good amount of time in the water. We also learned a lot about dolphins and DPMMR's cause. The staff was very friendly and interactive. Overall, a great experience!

Absolutely perfect! Such an experience and in an environment that you could see was geared up for the care of these precious dolphins, none of who could be released into the wild again due to various reasons. This centre is there to help and save / educate and care for dolphins and No cheesy shows or gimmicks…..just a not for profit organisation doing its best for their dolphins.

I payed almost 2k and the program was just too fast. I understand there’s not a time and you guys just go for how many behaviors they have to do that day but the program should definitely be a little longer mostly for the amount of price I payed. Overall everything else was good, just sad I wasn’t even able to pet one of the dolphins at the end of the program.. but dolphins are incredible, they’re amazing and I just hope the place gets bigger for them :) but yeah definitely a longer program.

It was amazing to see the dolphin rise up on her tail right in front of me. I reached for her flippers and then she lay on her back pulling me onto her belly. Across the area we swam. The trainer instructed the dolphins to preform different tricks with me. I had a smile on my face the whole time. Even when the dolphin kissed me. An extraordinary enjoyable experience! Thanks to the talented dolphins and very skilled trainers. On my next trip, planning on bringing my grandchildren.

Swimming with the dolphins was one of the most uniques experiences in my life. The dolphins at DPMMR are so smart and seemed happy to be playing with all of the guests.

The splash and swim was amazing ! The trainers were very clear on what to expect and took their time, I was apprehensive about the deep water swimming but it was quite easy . Highly recommend the experience . Thank you so much to the team for the experience and educating me on the dolphin responder program. You do amazing work .

My 12 yr old daughter and I booked the Connect to Protect swim and had the best experience! The facilities are clean and the staff and trainers are very friendly and knowledgeable. And swimming with dolphins was so special and memorable. We didn’t want it to end!

When booking this kind of experience I wanted to make sure we were supporting a reputable program and this one 100% fit the bill. A large portion of the experience fee supports their rehabilitation program. They have even raised enough money to build the first marine hospital in southern Florida, which is in the process of being built in Islamorada.
I would 100% book an experience here again. And hope that I get to return someday!

We did the Splash and Swim. It was amazing! Jackie was the trainer who worked with us and the dolphins but we clearly saw that all the staff work together as a team. Our briefing was informative and done by an intern who was knowledgeable. Our time with the dolphins was the best and we wanted it to be longer. Highly recommend this experience.

This was my 3rd time and my family had lived it every time. It's a fast way to spend a few hours connecting with sea life, especially when the sea is too rough to go out.

I did the Connect to Protect Dolphin Swim. I came in about 15 minutes prior and selected the swim and they were able to get me in. The staff were super friendly. The experience was great! Had plenty of interaction with the dolphins. Really enjoyed the experience. Took advantage of the photo package too! Wanted the memories and they even let me video. Highly recommend. Would definitely do it again!

The entire staff at DPMMR was exceptional in every way. They love what they do and it shows. They want their visitors to share in the joy of the dolphins and have a wonderful experience. They take such care with their interactions with the dolphins. There is a mutual respect between the dolphins and their caregivers (the staff). It was so fun from start to finish.

This was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had! Have always wanted to swim with dolphins and this is the place to do it! The staff is so nice and friendly and the photographers captured great photos while you are swimming (it is worth the extra money to buy the photos). The dolphins are so well behaved and fun to do the tricks with them. The trainers were great, as well!

If you're on the fence about doing this activity - definitely do it! Well worth the money for the amazing memories!

My grandchildren, my sister and I had such a wonderful experience at Dolphins Plus! We had booked a dolphin experience at another location that was canceled at the last minute and dolphins plus was able to accommodate us! We all loved everything about this experience. The floating platform that lowered down into the water provided a super stable experience for me grandchildren (5 and 8) while allowing them to fully experience the dolphins up close. Our trainer was amazing - providing individualized dolphin behaviors for the 10 people in our group. I have had three opportunities to swim with dolphins (all at different places) and this was my favorite!! I highly recommend!

Amazing experience. The trainers made sure the connect to protect deep water interaction program is seamlessly integrated in the dolphin‘s daily training. So not at all meant to be a tourist attraction which is why we decided to book it in the first place :) the dolphins were amazing and we had such a great time. We will definitely come back :)

Great experience. Very educational and goes to a good cause. We opted for them because they meet the requirements for being good to animals. The other options don't meet the requirements.

Returned after 30 years with my family- its still a wonderful experience to interact with these beautiful and intelligent animals. Though its a bit disappointing that they cannot choose anymore if they want to swim out in the ocean (as they could 30 ys ago) still you feel that they are kept under very good conditions - at least the best possible way for dolphins apart from the ocean. Im my opinion it is very important to show children how beautiful these dolphins are to create a sense of commitment - connect to protect - and these 8 dolphins really are "ambassadors" to create that commitment for their relatives in the sea. Trainers are very motivated and really love their dolphins. Great difference between sea wold etc and this great institution. - 100 % Recommendation .

I have mixed feelings. Trainers were nice. Dolphins fantastic. But we bought 90min intense program and finally got 30min interaction time with the dolphins. Bad organization. A lot of waiting for other people. Too long orientation without interesting facts about the dolphins themselves. Too expensive for what we got.

It was not only a fun experience, but it was also an educational experience for both the children and adults.

i was so happy there was a venue where i could teach my grandchildren about these beautiful mammal's with out compromising the integrity of each and every Dolphin we were able to observe. staff was the very best of all f.l tour sites and they explain things that even a three year old could understand. . the show was awesome dolphins were better than we hope for. and the staff treated us as a person not a ticket holder. for that i thank each and everyone of them.

This was a wonderful experience. We did the dockside experience with our toddler and a teenager and they both were so excited. It was very educational and so cool to see the dolphins up close.

We had such an amazing afternoon. We watched the trainers interact with the dolphins for over an hour. It was so much fun watching the dolphins do what seemed to come so natural to them. We learned that they are trained to do these behaviours. Sidney gave us the Caring for the Dolphins Tour. She was excellent and gave us so much information it was fantastic. We would definitely recommend going to visit this place.

This was AMAZING! My daughter was scared to death to get in with them, but she had alot of fun. I picked DPMMR because it actually gives back to them to help with their program. Can't say enough good about them. Definitely recommend!

We can only recommend swimming. We booked the Connect to Protect Swim and loved it. Of course, swimming with dolphins is something special. Being in the water with them is an indescribable experience and creates memories that last forever!!
But we also had a good feeling about it. On the one hand, we like the concept behind it, on the other hand, we found the handling of the dolphins really good. As the coach said, this is Dolphin Time. Everything happens at the pace the animals want it to. And if they don't want something, something else is tried. You will not be punished with food withdrawal or similar. It is a loving treatment of the animals and we visitors are told exactly what we are allowed and what we are not allowed to do. We were very happy to spend more money than we would have paid with other providers.

Came to Florida for my 60 birthday and this was on my bucket list I absolutely loved the dolphin encounter I had and your staff were absolutely amazing so nice and friendly.

Wonderful opportunity to swim and interact with the dolphins. Knowledgeable and friendly staff inside your visit is a success. Swimming with the dolphins helps this group support the facility in addition to responding to stranded dolphins in the wild.

What an incredible experience!!! Our family of five had an amazing experience swimming with the dolphins. The staff were wonderful and it is obvious that they love what they do. Jenna took the time to stay back and talk to us after we were done swimming with the dolphins to answer all of our questions about working with dolphins and the training process. What an amazing experience! I cannot say enough about what an awesome experience it is to be in the water with these intelligent and thoughtful creatures! We felt completely safe in the water with the dolphins. We had on life jackets that allowed us freedom of movement and buoyancy while keeping us safe. The staff is obviously very dedicated to the animals who live in the sanctuary. They have extensive knowledge and experience with the dolphins. My family and I were blown away by all of it. The dolphins seem very happy with being there! They were so playful and curious about us, too. We did the private swim and loved every minute. It is an experience we will never forget. We will definitely do again if ever we are in the area!

Non-profit, non commercialized, very informative, and a special experience getting to know, touch and talk with the dolphins. The trainers were excellent. Photographer on-site takes many photos of your interaction with the dolphins. Of course they sell the photo's as individuals or package, but it's nice to know the money is going back to the dolphins and the research of the dolphins in the open water.

My family and I made a reservation for the Splash and Swim package at Dolphins Plus and had a WONDERFUL experience! The orientation prior to getting into the water was helpful. The water was cold at first, but we got used to it quickly and it was great that wetsuits were provided. Jenna was our trainer and she was great...she was friendly, kept a nice pace to the activities and provided good instruction. We started with a variety of activities while partially submerged in the water, standing on a platform. The open water activity was next and one of the dolphins pulled us across the water, was even more fun. My only regret was that we couldn't spend more time in the water with the dolphins. We also purchased the picture package and ended up with about 190 pictures of our time with the dolphins. Overall, everyone in my family had a wonderful time and we made some great memories!

What a great experience! I did the wade with the dolphin and my husband swam with a dolphin- Tug. I picked this spot as I wanted to cost to support the mammals vs a more commercialized environment. The trainers were great, very informative, explained what to do and not to do while in the water with them. The dolphins have a smooth silky feel and you can tell they enjoy the interaction. Their area is part of one of the natural canals so the water is always changing, not a pool. They also have a parrot named Jack who gets jealous of the dolphins getting all the attention.

Amazing experience with dolphins the stuff and trainers are friendly and very nice really worth your money and all of your money go back to the facility and dolphins 🐬 highly recommending this beautiful place

My husband and I had such a wonderful time. The staff was amazing and you could tell they really love the dolphins. They made us feel like part of the team and made my dolphin experience one of the best times of my life.

We were debating which dolphin experience to choose on our recent visit to the Keys and we are so glad that we chose DPMMR! There are so many options/experiences to choose from and ours was absolutely wonderful. The staff are so dedicated and their love for the dolphins is evident. We definitely will visit DPMMR again!!!

Excellent in-water dolphin interaction! We had a chance to touch them, give them belly rubs and then a couple of propulsions, where the dolphins will propel you thru the water. Fun experience. Don't know of too many places in the USA where you can have this experience(specifically the deep water propulsions). I know of a place in Cabo San Lucas and one in Dubai, but not sure where else in the USA. So if you are in the keys, its worth participating in this fun and educational experience.

We had an amazing time. All of the workers were amazing and very helpful. My 10 year old and 7 year old can't stop talking about their time here. If you are wanting a memorable experience with your family this is the place to go.

It was not only educational to learn more about dolphins and their habitat but it was fun to learn how to interact with them and watch them show off.

My son did the Trainer program with a friend which was an incredible experience. The trainers were very friendly and knowledgeable, answered all his questions and gave him an experience that he will never forget. And the dolphins were magical! It all felt very safe and organized. We will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved my experience! I had never met dolphins before so I was very nervous. The entire staff was incredibly kind & supportive to help me feel at ease. Wendy helped me initially feel connected to Tug & from there, it was a blast! We did tricks, I let him, and he gave me a kiss. It was the experience of a lifetime!

*I also HIGHLY recommend paying for the professional photographs.* My boyfriend didn’t participate but he watched from afar. His photos didn’t come out as great. The staff photographed so well. I had my images within an hour!

My husband and I came to Dolphins Plus while on our honeymoon! We both agree that it was one of the best parts of our vacation, and probably the coolest thing we got to do while visiting Florida/The Keys. We chose this place specifically because they are a non-profit that respects and offers a good quality of life to the animals in their care. Knowing that these animals are well taken care of (and happy) made my husband and I feel much more comfortable getting in the water with these magnificent creatures. We also liked that the experience was activity based, not time based. In other words, you don’t get your 20 minutes and that’s it—the focus is on getting to do a number of activities and gestures with the dolphins regardless of how long it takes, while also respecting the dolphins stamina and compliance. My husband and I chose to do the hybrid package (activities/gestures w/dolphins in shallow water AND deep water). Dani, the dolphin trainer that ran our session was helpful in explaining what we would be doing before we got into the water, setting any of our nerves at ease. I was impressed with how systematic and professional all of the trainers were, and you could tell they were genuinely concerned for the comfort of the dolphins, and safety of the participants. Our experience was highly interactive and personal with the dolphins, and well worth the expense. We were encouraged by staff to stick around after our session and watch the dolphins during their feeding time, which was worthy entertainment in and of itself. I would highly recommend doing one of the in water sessions, but if you’re unable to do so, it’s well worth the small fee to at least observe a session. If my husband and I are ever in Key Largo again, we would gladly come back!

This exceeded our expectations which were high to begin with. Staff was fantastic as well as their dolphins. They have many different packages so easy to see what works best for you - all are amazing. We even stayed and watched several other groups participate in their interactions and had just as much fun. No matter the age - this is a must for all. Such a fun time.

Highly recommend. We’re on our 25th anniversary trip. This was a bucket list item for my wife and was good experience for both of us. We got to interact with the dolphins in the water, did a dolphin push, Superman and dorsal pull. Impressed with ethical care of animals especially allowing animals to go at their own pace and not forcing animals to engage in behaviors they don’t want to do.

Connecting with these amazing dolphins was one of the highlights of my trip. We love participating in helping with their wellbeing.

My Wife and I went here for her Birthday. The staff were amazing and very interested in her experience and made the entire day fun. My wife swam with dolphins for more than 45 minutes and the instructor actually had my wife giving the commands to the dolphins to get them to interact with her.
This is a very high class place and everything was done with the highest quality and standards.

We love the fact that theyre a nonprofit and we loved learning about the rescue and rehabilitation efforts that our money was going towards. This is a wonderful non-profit run by friendly, knowledgeable staff. From the time you walk through the front door until you say goodbye you feel welcomed, safe, and respected. We learned a great deal about the dolphins, conservation, and what we could do to protect marine life no matter where we live or travel. Our briefer, Jackie was world class and Christina, our in-water guide was clear in her instructions, wonderful with the kids, and in full control of the dolphins. We had high expectations and they were exceeded.

What a great experience! Our 11 year old swam with the dolphins and loved it. Great mission to educate and provide marine mammal emergency support. The dolphins are clearly well cared for.

The team at Dolphin Plus is Fantastic, from our first discussion with the office staff, to the knowledgeable intern who gave us the educational session, to Tanya and Danny whom showed tremendous patience, knowledge, frendliness, and a lot of fun but understanding the care needed for each of the Dolphins.

The money spent was well worth the experience. I am going to come back with our grandchildren as they get older so they can experience the caring staff as the interact with the Dolphins.

This is a must if you are making your way to key largo! It was fun learning about the dolphins along with the facility and then being able to get in the water with them! The staff was great, engaging, and clear with the tasks at hand. First time to Florida and to see the dolphins, this was the highlight of my trip! I would 100% recommend and do this again!

We always knew it would be fun to swim with dolphins, we never imagined it would be like it was! The employees and the dolphins were so great! The dolphins, Jessica and Jett were full of personality and we will never forget this experience. We have already discussed bringing our three daughters for a visit!

Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder is a first class operation and the dolphins are well-cared for and clearly love their trainers (so many excited squeals!). If you've ever wanted to rub a dolphin's tummy or get a dolphin kiss, this is your chance to do it humanely (vs. with a business that exploits dolphins for profit). Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth every single penny, and you will cherish the memories! Sell your plasma if you need to in order to come up with the $$$. DO THIS!!!!

We did a hybrid visit with partial waist deep interaction and partial deep water out of concern for parties who aren’t super strong swimmers. However, every activity was completed gleefully by every guest. The dolphins are clearly well cared for and respected. They were very clear that every dolphin would be asked to complete activities, not forced. We got to enjoy many activities. Photo package worth every Penny. Loved this experience!!

Our whole family enjoyed our dolphin experience. We did the deep swim experience too. The trainers were all very fun, kind and good with the kids while making sure the dolphins were also respected.

My family of 5 visited Dolphins Plus MMR on Dec 31 during our stay in Key Largo. We had debated on spending the money for this experience, but it was worth every penny! Knowing that the funds support dolphin rescue and rehabilitation is even more special. I had imagined that we would get to touch, pet, and play with the dolphin, but this was WAY more than that. They took us for rides in the water in a couple of different ways, we rubbed their bellies, got high fives, and were altogether simply amazed at these wonderous animals. The staff was super friendly and kind, and we felt so welcomed there. We were educated before going in the water, and learned a ton during the experience. We can't say enough good things about this. I think about it many times a day, and we are thankful that we purchased to photo package as well so that we have these memories for our family to look back on.

I took three teenagers to do the Connect to Protect program and it was amazing! We learned about the work they do there and all about the dolphins. Then we were able to get in the water with the dolphins for belly floats, toe pushes, splash fights, and so much more! We all agreed that this was the highlight of our trip to Key Largo. I highly recommend doing this if you’re in the area.

We decided to stop last minute so all experiences with swimming and interacting with the dolphins was booked. We were able to tour the facility and really had fun watching others swim with dolphins and to learn how they train and take care of the dolphins. I felt it was expensive to tour but after attending, I felt it was money well spent to help dolphins and the center continue their missions to teach us how to better take care of our world and our creatures. I want to go back someday and swim with the dolphins.
My 11 and 14 year old were sad to not be able to swim with the dolphins but all left feeling so glad we stopped and that we learned a lot.

Our two Grandchildren, ages 7 & 8 had a great time!! The facility is very clean, the staff friendly and the trainers were caring and knowledgeable! The kids had a blast and we loved watching them! The whole dolphin experience should not be missed,

I did the dockside deluxe package and interacted with the dolphin named Zoe. It was such a special experience! I got to give her belly rubs, get kisses, and ask her to do tricks for me. You can really tell the staff absolutely adore and respect all of the dolphins.

Probably one of the best experiences I have ever had. The facility is clean with a very welcoming and friendly staff that all seem to truly love what they do. The encounter was just perfect for us and the kids who were smiling ear to ear. I have never had an opportunity to stay in the water with dolphins like this and lived interacting with them. All done in a safe and fun way. Love the rescue work they do as well. A must to visit and support!

Five of my family members participated in the Connect to Protect dolphin encounter, and it was an amazing experience for us all, as we were whisked through the water by dolphins and performed various tricks with them. The intro was also a great way to teach kids more about caring for our environment and the beings we share the planet with. The money paid for this activity also goes to help dolphins and whales in the wild, is used for on-premises research, and is helping fund a nearby hospital for these amazing mammals. The staff was friendly and professional and they take good care of the dolphins in their facility. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time swimming with the Dolphins. All the trainers were very nice and ensured we had a fun time with the Dolphins and that everyone was safe. The swim consisted of myself, wife and three children (12, 10, & 7). It was a blast for everyone.

This is a spectacular and well-cared for facility. My teenage son and I did the Connect to Protect swim with the dolphins. I did a lot of research first because I didn't want this to be a dolphin "Show" or have any indication that these dolphins were being used for entertainment. They truly are not. They are not forced to do anything and their behavior with us definitely suggests that they are on their own time -- they might interact, they might not. They might follow directions/guidance, they might not. We had an amazing time and the highlight of our time in they Keys. VERY educational prior to our swim, so much I didn't know! We plan to financially support this organization for years to come!

The trainers were very informative and easy to understand. We had a fantastic time with the dolphins and received at least 30 minutes of dolphin time. They are a non-profit foundation and were very detailed in the work they do and where they would like to go in the future.

I have swam with dolphins three times over the past 20 years or so. This experience at Connect to protect was by far the best experience. I loved the platform that lowered into the water. I was with my 2 grandchildren (5 and 8) and they felt very safe on the platform. We interacted with the dolphins many times during our experience and we all loved it! Our trainer was amazing and worked hard to keep everyone engaged (our group was 10 people) and tailored the experience to our needs and wants. I was very pleased with the attention and service we received. Additionally I purchased the photo package. This allowed up to enhance our memories of the experience. Highly recommend.

This is the second time we have visited and we brought a whole crew of family members with us from all over. We love the fact that this is a non-profit and the establishment uses funds to assist with rescue and rehab for animals. The water was chilly but the wetsuits kept us warm. We has several children and adults and they ensured that we all enjoyed our time in the water with the beautiful and intelligent animals. We will be back for sure!

Swimming with dolphins was on my bucket list and this was the best experience. We had a half hour lesson on dryland first before we swim. I swam with dinghy and tug, and had so much fun. We splashed we twirled. I swam with dinghy holding her fins. Dinghy brought me a flower. I rubbed her belly they pushed me around the lagoon on my back by my feet. The staff was very helpful and they do so much for dolphins and rescued animals. I would highly recommend to swim with the dolphins here.

After loving their experience not long ago, our son and daughter-in-law gifted us a swim with the dolphins. It was wonderful and breathtaking beyond expectation. In fact, my husband and I left feeling that we'd had a surreal adventure. The entire staff demonstrated such genuine affection for the dolphins, and the care they provide at Dolphin Life is clearly top notch. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and very kind in accommodating us (as I'm not a confident swimmer). But, no surprise, huge applause must go to the beautiful creatures themselves - Mom Jessica and son Jet - who gave us what felt like a once in a lifetime experience. They could not have been more gentle, playful, smart, and fun-loving. IMHO, Dolphin Life is a must visit in Key Largo. And even if you don't have the opportunity to swim with these beautiful creatures in this natural habitat, the educational component of a visit and getting to watch and touch the dolphins (even if you're not in the water with them) is well worth it. Dolphin Life enables a respectful encounter that is not to be missed.

My husband and I have swam with the dolphins several times and in different places. One of them was Hawaii. Dolphins plus is by far THE BEST experience of them all. From the booking process to the moment we said goodbye was perfect. So the swim? The dolphins were so willing and loud and cheerful. They were actually having fun. They were not just doing tricks. I could tell they love their trainers not just the fish. We were in the water at least 45 min probably more. It was magical!! I also love the fact that the facility does research and are focus the progress and wellbeing of marine life. Hands down 10+ rating 💕💕

It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever done I learned a lot and dolphins were very social and wanted be around me just hoping in their environment and them accepting me was awesome

My sons, 11 & 14, had an amazing experience swimming with the dolphins! I’m sure they will never forget it. The staff were all very friendly to us, and clearly compassionate and loving towards the animals in their care.

I’m glad I decided not to join them in swimming for two reasons. It was so awesome to be able to sit on the side and video them as they interacted with the dolphins. We do have stellar photos from the photographer, but I love having the videos. The second reason is my sons were only in the water with them for about 15 minutes, so if we had been in with them, that short time would have spit between us.

There was about 30 minutes of “classroom” time before the swim, which was very informative, but could have been shortened a smidge.

For the hefty price, I expected for them to be in the water for much longer than 15 minutes, so that’s my only reason for not giving 5 stars. Just stating it here so it’s clear you don’t get an hour in the water with them (I think the website said 1.5 hours for start to finish.) We were in and out in less than an hour.

I know our financial contribution goes towards a great cause, as they are raising funds to build a local rehab center so they don’t have to send the injured animals several hours away, so I’m overall satisfied with our experience!

The energy between the staff here is amazing. The experience swimming with the dolphins, I can’t even find words for. I will recommend this facility to everyone I know! You definitely get your moneys worth here. I can’t think of one negative thing to say.

Meeting with the dolphins was such a special experience. We did the meet and greet (where you kneel/sit on a platform) and my mother (69yo) and two daughters (4 and 2) had a blast. The instructors were so kind and informative on dolphins of DPMMR and of how we can protect wild dolphins in the ocean with simple changes we can make. I would definitely come back to visit if we are ever back in Key Largo.

Fantastic! We have done this before, so we treated our dolphin loving daughter to some dolphin one on one time. We paid to be allowed to enter and take pictures. They were so nice to us. They let us go on the walkway with the trainer and take close up Pictures 📸 . Our daughter had such a great time. They gave us our money's worth. My other daughter and I had done this in Theater of the seas and although most of the interactions at Theater of the Seas were terrific they don't hold a candle to Dolphin plus by way of Dolphin experience. Worth every penny. They didn't rush our daughter through anything. She was able to enjoy playing with the dolphins. Such a great experience for all. We'll be back with another daughter.

A wonderful educational experience swimming with and learning about dolphins. The trainers were great! A must do if you are a dolphin/ animal lover.

My family (2 adults, kids 15, 12 & 9), first time ever doing anything like this. The staff was amazing and you can tell they care for and thoroughly enjoy their resident dolphins. Wendy was our instructor for the shallow swim. She was great. We were asked "what we wanted to do" and not just given "do this". Worked well with everyone as well as taught us more about dolphins. The staff at check-in was very pleasant and helpful. We did the picture package, which we received every picture taken, which the staff took pictures the entire time we were out. My kids had a blast and would definitely go back. Only wish we had more time!

I can’t say enough about this experience. I have always loved dolphins so this was a bucket list for me. We did the Connect to Protect Swim. I didn’t really know what to expect and was surprised at the level of interaction we got. I loved just being in the pool area and watching the dolphins swim around before our swim (got there early and we’re allowed to watch them while we waited), and felt like I got to do a lot with the dolphins. The dorsal pull was everything I imagined, and I about cried tears of joy giving the dolphin a ‘hug.’ The dolphins are so freaking cool and so sweet and gentle. Our trainer was awesome. Thank you for an experience of a lifetime!!

If you love dolphins as much as I do, this is the place to play, interact and watch them!!!! I didn’t have a lot of time to visit Key Largo, however, this was the perfect place to spend an hour.

Swimming with dolphins was a bucket list item for me and I’m so glad I chose DPMMR to experience it. Everyone from the person checking us to the trainers were absolutely delightful. Lindsey, an intern, was extremely knowledgeable and sweet. You can tell she really loves what she does and it was so refreshing. Our trainer, Sidney, was equally wonderful and was extremely patient with us as we didn’t always follow her instructions perfectly. This is not a timed experience but behavior-based. You get to experience a number of behaviors the dolphins complete and I think it’s wonderful nothing is forced on the dolphins. If they choose not to do the behavior, they won’t be forced! It was well worth the cost to catch a ride from the adorable baby dolphins, BB and Tug! Please don’t go in expecting an hour in the lagoon with the dolphins. You wouldn’t be able to keep up anyway unless you’re an especially strong swimmer. You experience some pretty incredible tricks and the facility more than welcomes you to hang out and observe the dolphins when you’re done. I guarantee you this place truly cares for the dolphins and it made me feel better that this wasn’t a circus sideshow where animals are forced to “perform” if they don’t want to.

Wow. Thank you so much for a wonderful adventure. The staff was amazing and took great care of my family, 2 12 year olds, my 17 year old and my wife. They fell in love with the dolphins and had a high adventure that they could not stop talking about. My favorite part was how well they handled the dolphins and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Well worth it to get to experience dolphins up close and personal and see why they are worth protecting.

My son and I visited the Dolphin Marine Mammal the first time for both of us and it was amazing. My son is 19 years old and he felt like a kid again. He had a wonderful time. We both did. We are planning to return with my daughter. Who I know will also love it as much.

A most memorable experience! We were impressed with how loved, cared for and happy the dolphins were. The trainers/guides were exceptional and it was worth the cost and drive to get there. It was just great, but not easy to identify which acitivity suits best. We had a great time wading right next to the dolphins! It was amazing - a perfect day we will always remember. I wish it was possible to rate higher than 5 - This experience would be an 11 !!! We were able to spend a little over an hour in the water with a dolphin going through various behaviors. I can't praise the staff at Dolphins Plus more highly and this was an experience of a lifetime. We would do it again in an instant. Very much worth the money!!

This experience has been on my bucket list for as long as I can recall, and it did not disappoint!! My husband and I opted for the deluxe dockside experience & it was incredible. We interacted with Jessica, Jett, BB & Dinghy. All of the dolphins were sweet, gentle, highly intelligent & so fast!! We were very respectful & gentle with them all & it was sheer joy.

My family and I had been visiting from california and being able to connect with these dolphins on a different level was an experience I will never forget, the staff was amazing and you can definitely tell they love what they do and appreciate the animals to the full extent. Would definitely recommend for someone looking to make a memory for life!

We had a stopover here on the way to Key West.
It was wonderful and the dolphins are not forced to do anything. It's more like training that you get integrated into.

Tip: Take the photo package. The team will then take about 80 - 100 pictures of you and you can concentrate completely on the action.

Had a terrific experience yesterday swimming with the dolphins. Trainers are very experienced and personable. I also felt good know that the money I spent went to helping other dolphins. Loved it!

I got the Splash and Swim experience for my 12 year old son this past week. I'm usually pretty frugal but decided to splurge on our vacation for this once in a lifetime opportunity. The cost of this experience was well worth it. It's a small facility so you don't have to deal with parking and noise and crowds. There was a good amount of time in the water and dolphin interaction, and the fact that you actually get out there with the dolphins pulling you around is awesome! For those observing, you're right on the side of the lagoon so plenty of opportunity for your own good photos/videos. And when you're not actively doing the program, it's lovely just to sit by the lagoon and watch the dolphins and fish. The staff was lovely, and it's a non-profit, so you can feel good that the cost of the program is going right back into the dolphins and facility.

A wonderful experience. We did the private swim. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly from the time we walked in the door. We enjoyed learning about how they care for the dolphins and their mission. So glad we did this!

Our girls ages 14 and 7 both loved the splash and swim experience. The photo add on was well worth it. We got so many amazing shots.
Our host, trainer Christina, was awesome. The experience of being up close and touching the dolphins was fun and exciting for the whole family. This was a highlight of our vacation. My youngest is already asking when can we do it again.

We went to Dolphins Plus to celebrate my daughter's birthday. All she wanted for her birthday was to swim with the dolphins and she has aspirations to be a dolphin trainer. Also, I have never met so many wonderful people working in one place! Best staff anywhere! Loved everything about this day!

What a lovely idea this was. Although we had about half an hour with the dolphins, more talk about what the Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder do. Both my husband and I enjoyed our time with them, plus our photos, that we paid for.

Getting in the water with the dolphins was an experience I will never forget. It definitely exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high. The trainers had the animals' best interest in mind as they led us through the get-to-know-you activities. Our trainer, Christina, was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I highly recommend this activity for fun, but also as a means to learn about wild dolphins.

Meeting Bob and Alph was fun. Swimming with the lady dolphins was thrilling. They’re so strong and graceful and good natured. The behaviors they learn because they want to please their trainers (and get fresh sushi as a reward). You can tell they’re really intelligent. Thanks Kala. Thanks Art.

This is our 3rd expereince with Dolphin sites - one in Punta Cana and one at Discovery Cove in Orlando.
We would highly recommend a visit to the Dolphins Plus Mammal Responder.
The educated staff taught us during 30 minutes about dolphins, their behavior, etc.
We opted for sitting on the dock to interact with the dolphins. Wear clothes that can get a little wet.
The dolphin trainer did had the 2 dolphins do things like jump in front of us, come to us for a kiss and a pet on their backs, etc. The interaction with the dolphins lasts about 20 - 30 minutes.

What an AMAZING experience! 🤩 If you love Dolphins and want to have a close interaction with them I highly recommend you to visit Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Responder! 🐬The staff is awesome, positive, happy and knowledgeable. They really care about the Dolphins. ♥️

We visit their 2 facilities
- The Connect Center💟: a permanent sanctuary for non-releasable dolphins where we connected with the dolphins and interact with them with the guide and support of the location trainers.

- The Protect Center❤️‍🩹: is partially open and is a work in progress. This facility will act as a permanent marine mammal hospital, providing a home-base for their stranding program and long-term veterinary care for sick and injured whales and dolphins. Further, The Protect Center will support conservation research programs.

In this last location they will have fun holidays activities🎄for children and families! Come visit them. You won’t regret it!

My husband and I attended a Connect to Protect session and the whole experience was educational and so much fun. Jacky was our instructor and she was great. We got in the water with four dolphins who gave us tows, jumped over us, and allowed us to give them belly rubs.

This experience was wonderful, and we are so glad we did it!

Our family went and it was an amazing experience for all of us. They lowered us in with the dolphins and told us what to do. We were able to touch the dolphins and they carried us across the water, My children loved it.

We purchased a $20 day pass to Dolphin Life as all the slots for the ‘Dolphin Experience’ had been sold out. The best time to visit with the day pass is when one of the ‘experience’ time slots is happening. Then you get to go on the short ‘back room’ tour and get to hear about the rescue and rehab work dolphin life are doing in Key Largo. We were also able to stay and watch the people who had booked the ‘swim experience’ interacting with the dolphins. The dolphins seem to be very well cared for, whilst research also takes place. I think that this is a worthy cause to donate to, even if you don’t get a chance to get in the water with the dolphins.

Was emazing experince swim together with dolphins. We got a lot of unforgetible memories.
My sugestion for everyone who visiting Key West to go throught this experience.

Trainers were knowledgeable and friendly, everyone got enough time with the dolphins. Some of the interactions seemed much shorter than similar experiences that we've done before in the past at other places. Choice of shallow or deep water experiences was good. Not enough changing rooms. Not fair to charge family/friend spectators who do not enter the water, also not fair that you have to pay for the official photos that they take of you.

I’ve always wanted to swim with a dolphin. I grew up seeing them in the wild, and I could get close, but I was in a boat or on the beach, looking at them.
To have one pull me through the water was amazing, and to touch them on the belly was incredible. They do good stuff there rescuing animals, too.

I celebrated my birthday this year in this wonderful place, I recommend 100% the attention of the women who work there! The dolphins are beautiful! Everything!
An experience you have to live

Swam with Zoe and Tug. By far one of the coolest experiences of my life! Loved that there was no pressure on the dolphins to perform certain tricks and that the trainer treated it more as a “practice” or enrichment to them- they both of course got an A+ on performance, but just being able to pet them was awesome! 10/10 would recommend.

Our visit to Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Respond was truly unforgettable. Swimming with the dolphins was magical — both adults and kids had an incredible time. The staff was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. The only downside? Time flew by way too fast! We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for families and animal lovers alike.

What an amazing experience for my 10 year old son! He had so much fun! The trainers were super knowledgeable, patient and so very nice! Highly recommend it! We did a hybrid splash & wade & swim package which was perfect! From the safety talk, the fun facts to the interacting with the dolphins and learning from the trainers….all around it was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!! It was a nice experience to be around these animals.
Only I was extremely disappointed that I barely came into contact with the dolphins because the group of participants was too large (13 people). As a result, there was only time to perform 1 exercise per person each time.
Then I think $259 is a lot of money

The staff are so gentle and kind towards the animals, you definitely know their level of care is above and beyond! Detailed instructions are given for each experience in a way for even the younger kids to understand. The facility is top notch, very low-key and not overly commercialized which tells me they are doing a very good thing for those animals there! I just loved loved the trainers and the whole experience for our 12 year old! They took pictures as well, we were able to do video of the full experience from the side lines. What a beautiful day and a once in a lifetime for our daughter and us! Highly recommend!

We did the Connect to Protect Dolphin Swim Dolphin Swim. It was pricey but we had a fabulous time. They gave us wetsuits and life vests, so we were comfortable although the water was quite cold. The trainers were wonderful and we adored the dolphins. It was so much fun the interact with them and have them give us rides. Tge pictures that were taken of us were pretty funny. Highly recommend.

A wonderful facility where the not only are there a variety of encounters with dolphins to choose from, but, most importantly, respect for the dolphins is highly emphasized. The educational part is informative and made fascinating. All of the staff appeared eager to be helpful with genuine smiles. This was the 2nd time we gifted a grandchild with a swim and so happy to have done so.

I have been to many venues that is the home to the beautiful dolphins. Thus far, Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder has been the best because you actually learn about the dolphins and how you can help protect them and then you get to love on them ;o)

Tina was our guide. She was truly wonderful and her knowledge was superb. She clearly loves marine mammals and wants to do her part to protect them.

When we decided that we wanted to have a “Swim with the dolphins experience” which is not cheap—we called the Florida Keys visitor center and they told us about Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder (MMR) in Key Largo. There’s several organizations in the Florida Keys that offer dolphin encounters and there are quite a few different packages and we shopped around, but Dolphins Plus seemed to be primarily focused on scientific research rather than entertainment value or other animals so we booked with them. The staff were educated and knowledgeable and they have an organized college internship program. The facility location is nestled away off the beaten path and there’s parking across the street. It is a clean, safe and state-of-the-art marine facility and they are growing and expanding their research resources. All of these reasons is why we selected MMR for our dolphin swim—we were beginners essentially experimenting with a new animal activity and preferred a place with field experts and wanted to learn about the animal science (dolphin behavior) and also needed a guided experience that would help us be comfortable. Dolphin Plus MMR has a great team and the swim was lots of fun and cuing instructions easy to understand. We did the foot push and dorsal swim. Cannot wait to do it all again!

We visited with a 5, 8, and 11 year old, 2 parents, and a grandparent and everyone loved it! The dolphins were so friendly and interactive. The staff were excellent and informative. Even the 5 year old, who was afraid at first, ended up swimming in the deep water with the dolphins. The grandparent was able to stay on the platform and interact with the dolphins too while everyone else swam. Great experience for all ages, highly recommend.

I surprised my terminally ill stepfather with a swim with the dolphins experience. The staff was outstanding and the experience was out of this world. Hunter and his staff are 1st class to say the least. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My wife and I booked the Splash and Swim and it was breathtakingly beautiful. First, we learned a lot about the work on site, the dolphins that live there and about these beautiful animals in general on dry land. Then we went into the water on a lift. There were four of us in total who were able to interact with two dolphins. The interaction ranged from greetings, to stroking and kissing, to a belly ride. It was a great experience and worth the money! You get the impression that the animals in this facility are doing well! They are not forced to do anything and interact voluntarily with the participants. A quick example: Zoe, who we had learned beforehand was shy, was actually supposed to swim with us. When she was then called to come over to our pool and signaled that she didn't want to, that was completely fine. She stayed with the other dolphins and B.B. came over to play with us instead.

Visited recently with our family, including too small kids. Loved seeing the dolphins and learning about the great work of this organization. We plan to come back again every time we come to Key Largo.

The staff was superb and welcomed questions! The whole experience was wonderful. Only problem was I couldn't stay and swim with them all day(hehe)

We enrolled half day trainer program. It’s so informative and fun. When you understand how well and how expensive you need to run this place, the cost of excursion doesn’t seem to be expensive after all. These money goes toward dolphins’ everyday expense. This facility is the responder to rescue dolphins. Staff love those animals like their family. It’s human who should learn how to protect our environment and make marine animals more livable. Then no need to rescue as many animal as we are now.

I spent some time researching the best dolphin experience for my family. I ended up selecting this organization because they are a non-profit and they had the best description of what we would get to do while we were there on their website. This was to be the highlight of our trip to Florida. I paid $1,240 for the five of us to interact with the dolphins. While this price felt steep, I justified it as a once in a lifetime activity. The website description stated we should allow for 1.5-2 hours for the entire experience which would include education, touring the facility, getting life jackets, and then actually getting in the water with the dolphins.

Our timed entry began at 3:30. We were back to the parking lot in our car by 4:15. When we did get our chance for the fun part, we had to split our time in the water (about 15-20 min) with another family rotating turns back and forth.

While getting the chance to be in the water with dolphins was memorable, I definitely think they should update their website. Why are they telling people to allow up to two hours when they only had a 40 min program? And even then, 25 min of that was waiting, getting fitted for jackets and listening to a speech? It felt like a bait and switch, or perhaps that they were overbooking to monetize on Spring Break and rushing everyone through. We left feeling very disappointed and sticker-shocked.

This is such a special experience!! The staff is so kind and the explanation before the swim was educational. This is an experience of a life time!

My Friend and I attended for our Birthday weekend. What a blast! Even though we were not swimmers we were still able to interact with the dolphins. The trainers were Fantastic! We wore life jackets and had the option to swim with them as well. The experience was just Priceless! Pictures were taken while the interaction was taking place and we were able to view them at the end. This is just something that you must do at least one time. You will not regret it!

My wife had the most amazing time and dolphin interaction during the dockside experience. It was amazing, and life changing. She was so moved and happy getting to learn and spend time with the dolphins. The staff were all amazing. We’ll be back. Couldn’t recommend Dolphin Life enough, not just because of the experience but because of the mission /vision of dolphin rescue and care work they do.

Great experience for the price. Was a Very informative tour. We got to see behind the scenes on how they do things.

This was a part of a “Mother/daughters trip” we took to the Keys. They are 24 and 26 and the youngest is getting married soon, so we wanted to have some cool experiences together. We did some fun things, but without a doubt the Connect to Protect program with the dolphins was the absolute best. The trainers are great..the dolphins were fabulous. We got to do so many tricks with them. We are still laughing about how much they seemed to love interacting and “laughing” with us. Just a total blast! Being pushed and pulled through the water is as great as you can imagine it would be!!
The photos you get with the package were terrific too.

We also really love the mission and the educational aspect here.

If I could rate this higher I would. Thank you for an incredible experience. We’ve always loved seeing dolphins in the wild, and now we’ve been able to interact with them as well…priceless!!!

We took part in the deep water experience on Tuesday as a family of 9 (7 adults age range 36-83 years old and 2 kids in their teens) from the UK. We absolute loved the experience the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful with the money spent helping to build a recovery centre out in the keys. We all loved the experience and it was definitely one of the hi lights of our trip we were not rushed at all and got to spend and interact with our 2 dolphins. We Would definitely return when visiting the Florida keys again.

We had a lot of fun with the dolphins and enjoyed it very much. It was slightly disappointing the size of the group. For the amount we pause for the group I hoped we would have had a smaller group size and a few more interactions with the dolphins but overall it was a an experience we have never had and we enjoyed it.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. This is my third time swimming with the dolphins at different places. DPMMR was by far the best. The trainers were great and the animals were very special. The routine was varied between guests so the dolphins learn more and don’t get bored doing the same routine. The fact it is also a rescue and great cause make spending your money worth every penny.

The entire team at Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder Facility was AMAZING. Very professional, very nice and extremely knowledgeable. The facility itself is beautiful and very well kept. Myself along with my team of 13 women all felt incredibly safe at all times. I highly recommend this experience....IT'S ONCE IN A LIFE TIME MOMENT!!!

The people that worked there were very knowledgeable and informative. We learned a lot about marine life, besides the dolphins. Their love for the dolphins there and other marine life was very evident. Was so glad to have our money go towards researching and helping the dolphins rather paying to keep a tourist attraction running, as the other 'swim with the dolphins' places are. We were able to get quality time with the 2 dolphins we were grouped with and found this bucket list adventure truly a once in a lifetime event that we were so glad to have been able to do. The cost was definately worth it. We also purchased the photo package, which was kind of pricey. I was kind of disappointed with some of the photos in that they didn't show much of the dolphins with us, when doing power movements. This could have been due to the college student taking the photos only have being there for a month. Other than that, everything was outstanding!

Absolutely amazing experience. We did the deep water swim with the dolphins. After a short wait watching the dolphins get fed and getting some exercise doing jumps out of the water, we got a short briefing about the facility and dolphins. Then put on a wetsuit since the water was cool (it was January) and got in the lagoon. We got to hold, pet, ride and be pulled around by the dolphins. They were so cute and friendly. Highly recommend experience.

My 9-yr old daughter and I had an amazing experience; she received a gift to "Be a Trainer for a 1/2 Day." The staff is thoughtful, considerate, brilliant, and really care about their finned and feathered companions. My daughter learned so much, and the staff patiently answered all her questions. The facility is clean and beautiful- you can tell this is a place the staff are proud to work at and a career they love.

Had such a great time with Dolphin Life! The crew was super friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience fun. We saw plenty of dolphins up close and got some great pictures. Perfect activity for families or couples visiting the area — highly recommend!

DPMMR is an amazing facility, and my two teen daughters had an incredible experience swimming with the dolphins. There were about a dozen people there, but they split the group up into 3 smaller groups, and it was a very personalized experience. This is a research facility, and the dolphins are well cared for. My youngest wants to study marine biology, and at the end of the program one of the trainers took the time to talk with her about college and training options. Overall, it was an experience my family will never forget. The photo package is well worth it. We didn't pre-buy, but ended up purchasing the photos after we previewed them.

I loved every minute of shadowing a trainer (Cristina) for the day. Learned their every day task, information about the facility and all about the dolphins. Loved meeting all the dolphins up close and swimming with them. Every one was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend anyone to visit and do one of their many programs.

This is a must do while in Key Largo. We chose to do the swim. You get to be up close and personal with the dolphins. We got to do a belly ride, let them push our feet, cradle them, rub their bellies, and kiss them. So much fun. I also recommend getting the phot package. The pictures were amazing! I had no idea dolphins had so much personality and are so smart!

The rescue center was clean and the staff were super friendly. The dolphins were amazing. This was our first experience with dolphins and it was a dream. We highly recommend for any age.

As always great educational value for the money and all in a good cause. Had a great morning session with the dolphins and staff and got to hang out while the staff did their thing with the dolphins. Everyone, dolphins included, seem happy and healthy! Would do it again. Intern Christina was most helpful and informative.

We booked a visit to the dolphins from the platform and were very satisfied. The talk alone was interesting. The interaction with the dolphins was an unforgettable experience for our children. I would also like to mention that we had to reschedule our appointment due to a diversion on the way here and that this was not a problem and we received very good support.

My 3 children swam and played with the dolphins for 30 minutes. It was a fantastic experience, it gave them an indescribable joy and emotion. They will remember it for a lifetime. Despite the cost, I would say that it was the best money spent of the entire holiday.
