My husband and I love to make Domaine Carneros our first stop when coming to Napa every couple of years. We arrived and immediately noticed and abundance of signage that said reservations required. We decided to try our luck because we also wanted to buy a case of wine. We were greeted by the hostess who immediately became extremely dismissive when she realized we did not have a reservation. We asked about a quick tasting a second time before we bought our case and she curtly dismissed us and said there was a cashier if we wanted to buy wine otherwise should could not help us in a rude tone. We were so stunned by her rudeness that we quickly turned and walked out. It is such a shame because this is one of our favorite wineries but unfortunately, we will not be back.

Driving up to this winery, you will feel like royalty! Gorgeous vineyard and estate. Decent size pours for tastings, well priced!

Great winery. Jacob was an amazing server andade the whole experience awesome. Generous pours and good food. They have it right at this place.

So many options to choose from, definitely going back for more! We booked our spot on their terrace with gorgeous views of the surrounding vineyards. Best "champagne" we tasted on our trip and I would recommend their Chateau tasting flight. Excellent service and didn't mind the fee for such a great experience.

Madw rwservarions for a mid-day tasting as our "lunch" stop. Sharws a flifhr of reds and a flight of sparkling with a smoked sal. On plate and cheese plate. Our seever, Jakec, was well vweaes and amazws us ny carrying 8 wi e bottlea at a time without a platter. Had a wonderful visit, and of course boufhr a pinit and a rose' sparkling to take with us. LOVE their new four seasons garden room!

This is a great first stop on your way into Napa and glad I had a chance to go on my third trip to Napa. But after going here once I don’t need to come back. We had reservations and when we walked up to check in the hostess was not friendly or welcoming. She acted like we didn’t have a reservation and was trying to figure out what to do with us. We finally got outside and walked by a table that was empty with a nice view and she proceeded to put us at a small table that didn’t have the view so I had to ask if we could sit at the other table. Overall it was a good tasting on a beautiful day but not the most welcoming vibe especially from the first person you interact with.

Came here with a group of six girls for a bachelorette group and had a private room booked. There is a minimum charge per person that must be met but it includes food as well, so we ordered the cheese plate as well as macarons since quite a few in our group didn’t drink. The scenery was pretty and I did like the macarons. However, my main gripe was the service. Our server Salvador was a little sus as he did not warn us beforehand that the sparkling tea infusions were whole bottles and not drinks. We purchased three bottles unknowingly and even though two were left unopened, we couldn’t send them back because he already added them to our receipt. A heads up about an order being a bottle rather than a single drink would have been much appreciated. Other than that, service was slow and I had to get up to find someone when we were trying to pay our bill.

We visited this winery having sampled their sparkling wine in a restaurant and were disappointed that they could not accommodate us without a reservation, despite it being almost deserted

You can imagine that every winery in Napa is comercial amd we expected that, but here we just felt like in a normal restaurant, having wine. But a Beautiful place with good products.

Booked a private tasting for a group of 10. We were seated in a lovely room and our server was wonderful. The pours are very generous and we were able to taste 2 extra sparkling wines. We weren’t rushed and after our tasting walked around and took pictures on the beautiful grounds. I would recommend this tasting to anyone.

The wine is great and the winery itself is stunning. We ordered a cheese plate with our wine. The whole experience was ruined by the flies that constantly landed on our food. We were in the downstairs area (indoors) as well. Our waiter was gracious but management has to have a remedy for this.

Wine tasting on a deck overlooking a vineyard was really nice. They let us share a wine tasting since they gave a very generous amount to sample. You select a flight to taste. Gets hot in summer, so I suggest visiting in May or early June or the fall.

This tasting has been on my bucket list from the first time I was ever in Napa and saw the facility. The grounds are unbelievable, the building is breath taking. The bubbles are wonderful. It ticked all the boxes for me personally and I am VERY happy that we went.

This is more of a tourist trap than a winery. The nice mansion they built with a pretty view, concealed a terrible attitude by the host and a snobbish attitude that you had to make a reservation, even though it was only 50% occupied on a Sunday. It’s not even true champagne method. We were looking for a sparkling wine location in Carneros and stop by he just come and taste a few and move on.
The snobbish and patronizing attitude of the host was incredible. He told us if we waited around for an hour and a half. He might find us a table at 3 o’clock. I walked in the main indoors tasting room and there were 20 tables with four seats each available. I told my son who’s just finished his masters in business, this is an example how never ever ever to run a business treating your customers like they are a nuisance.
We went across the street to a far far superior winery do not recommend

We came to Domaine Carneros this past Sunday in January, as our wives wanted to go there. And frankly so did we. The winery and estate were beautiful, however unfortunately there was a bit of fog causing overcast for the dinner. However, that did not damper the tasting experience.
Our wives did the 1st tier bubbles tasting, and we did the Chateau tasting. Both of these were all bubbles, and not with their pinot noir like the other 2 options. We had had too much red the previous day. otherwise one of us would have.
I love the way Domaine lays out the 5 glasses with a sheet of paper underneath explaining what you are drinking. Plus, the Host also tells the story of the bubbles as he pours to give you an all around great experience. And then the Host leaves you to experience their wines and/or bubbles, and will occasionally check in with you to see how the tasting is going. This was appreciated.
Every glass was delicious, and we all took home bottles. I really liked the 2018 Brut Late disgorged. You will definitely need reservations, as Domaine was very busy, and January is an off month.
This was our first time here, though definitely not our last.

We pass by this place every time we're leaving Napa, and finally had the good sense to book a reservation.
Six of us signed up for their Bubbles & Bites, a paired tasting featuring generous pours of four of their top-flight sparkling wines with five (count 'em) bites of gourmet caliber Mexican food: Dungeness Crab Esquites, Scallop Ceviche with Avocado Mousse, Chicken Pibil Tostada, Lamb in Mole Sauce, and a Corn Husk Meringue for dessert.
The food was better than I had expected at a tasting, and actually left us feeling like we'd just eaten a full meal. And the wines were as good as advertised.
Service was a little slow at first. It's a big operation, and they seemed to struggle to provide the personal touch most wineries are able to deliver. But we were quite happy overall and would definitely do it again. We also bought some bottles to drink later in our vacation.

One of the most beautiful places we have visited. Staff was friendly and their sparkling wine is delicious! Not far from downtown Napa and so worth the visit.

We had visited Domaine Carneros years ago, and wine club friends invited us for a tasting on a Saturday morning. WOW!! We were surprised at the expansion of the tasting areas, both inside and outside. Beautiful views, exceptional service and delicious bubbles!!

Domain Carneros is a beautiful property, and they have the best champagne for tasting. They have so many things going for them that it was a disappointment when we visited. We had been in the area doing and visiting some of the wineries in Sonoma and Napa. I had been to Domaine Carneros before and wanted to share that experience with my wife. On our visit, we were not on any set schedule, so we did not book an appointment for a tasting. However, when we got there, we were told they do not do walk-ins (they used to) and could not accommodate us at all that day. That was truly disappointing, as we saw others come and get turned away as well. We did buy a couple of bottles of their champagne as it is superb, but the experience was a tad disappointing. The property really needs to do something or make allowances for a certain number of walk-ins per hour. They are willingly turning away extra profit in a time when that's the last thing anyone should be doing.

My wife and I started our Napa Valley weekend with a stop at Domaine Carneros. On arrival you are first struck by how beautiful the grounds are. The beautiful chateau that is home to Domaine Carneros is stunning.
We checked in for our tasting and were escorted to a table for two on the patio. Each table has an umbrella for shade. Our 11am tasting was perfect with sunshine and low 70 degree temperatures. Our host and tasting guide Sean was so helpful. He walked us through the tasting options. We selected the Sparkling Wine Sampler and the Cheese and Charcuterie Selection.
Sean took time to tell us about each wine we tasted and included an extra wine not on the menu later in the tasting. We took our time to enjoy each wine and the cheese & charcuterie, as well as the conversation with Sean. We were excited to join the Chateau Society Classic Sparkling Wine Club to enjoy these wines at home in Dallas. We were pleasantly surprised that by joining the club, our tasting for the day was complimentary.
Domaine Carneros will be on the itinerary for all future trips to Napa Valley.

We made our reservations for when they opened up , so not only were we able to get a table in the front overlooking the beautiful gardens, it was still cool , with the sun not bothering us. It was a wonderful tasting, able to not only experience the sparkling wine but also the Pinot Noir they produce as well. Was a pleasant surprise, not being known for their pinots but it was very good. Since we got there early we were able to see them unload grapes which was fun. Reservations are a must or you will wait in line.

Enjoyed relaxing on the outside patio with a view of the vineyards nearby. Wonderful service by Neil. Nice sparkling wines accompanied by cheese and charcuterie. Caitlin was so helpful with our reservation and getting us a table with great view. Will return next year! Our favorite spot for wine tasting.

My husband and I were on a wine tour and were recommended to stop at Domaine Carneros by some friends. We had a cute spot on the patio with a wonderful view of the vineyards. The service was great, and we each did different tasting selections so we could try each other’s champagne/Pinot noir. Domaine Carneros only offers Champagne and Pinot Noir, which really appealed to us! We were guided through the tasting selections by our kind server. And we purchased a few bottles to take home. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because the tasting fees were not waived for purchasing (as they are at most wineries). We are still glad we came here though!

I wanted to see a chateau and we came to this vineyard. They told us we needed reservations but they had a lot of open places. They seated us and we had the flight and cheese plate. They were good, but not exceptionally memorable. The staff was friendly. The building is pretty but I don’t know if it was worth driving back from Calistoga.

We visited 5 wineries on a girls trip & this was almost everyone’s favorite. The grounds & seating area are gorgeous! We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. Service was good & attentive throughout. Liked the options they had for tastings. Their sparkling wine is very good. We come back!

Domaine Carneros is always top notch. The selections are fantastic and the staff very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great. Grounds are beautiful.

We started our day in Napa with Corey at Domaine Carneros, and he truly set the tone for a wonderful experience. The grounds are absolutely stunning — picture-perfect views and such a peaceful atmosphere. The champagne was exceptional.Highly recommend starting your Napa day here!

Came back to this place to experience a flight of 4 sparkling wines and a cheese platter. Sat on the terrace with lovely views of the fields of vines. Excellent service from the staff working there. Easy access off road on way to Sonoma.

Located high atop Napa Valley, Domaine Carneros is a truly a spectacle of beauty and splendor. From the well maintained grounds to the ambling castle to the brand new glassed-in atrium overlooking the outdoor porch area, Domaine Carneros is unforgettable.
We had originally made a tasting reservation but stopped by a day early while returning from Sonoma. After a short wait, we were seated in the enclosed atrium (complete with marble fireplace) and ordered a glass of Estate Brut and Estate Pinot Noir. Both of these paired well with the Red Wine Cheese Plate ($20) that included three cheeses, crackers, dried fruit, pistachios and plum jam. Fantastic!
Domaine Carneros is busy so be sure to make a reservation unless you have a lot of time to wander the grounds.

My wife and me were cruising in Napa, and we were totally seduced by the beauty of the property. We arrived at lunch time, without any appointment or reservation. We were received with warmth and professionalism by one of the managers who was able to offer us a table with great view after a 5 minutes wait.
We were given a table at the terrace, with a stunning view.
We tried the Sparkling & Pinot Noir tasting options (and we were able to taste a total of 6 different wines!). Serving was generous. We ordered the salmon and cheese platters, both tasty and fresh.
What a treat that was! The sparkling and the Pinot were all great, showing balance and excellent technic (Taittinger touch is felt!).
The service was good, with a room for improvement noting that the place was busy and our waiter was doing his best to serve everyone efficiently.
The price was very reasonable.
Overall, we had a very good experience and we recommend any wine lover to visit this winery.

Such a disappointing experience on our recent visit. The property feels more like a simulated Disney wine experience than being at an actual vineyard. The house itself is a poorly constructed fake chateaux built in the 1980’s and showing its age. The sparkling wines are decent at best. The food was generic and plain, nothing memorable. Service was poor. It took forever to see our waiter and he wasn’t nice at all. The plastic drink coasters were our only explanation of what we were drinking. Our waiter shared that the wine described as rare on our plastic cards was not rare at all. Skip this for almost anything else.

We ended up spending almost three hours at DC. The tastings were wonderful and generous. Our wine host was very knowledgeable. The smoked salmon was excellent. DC was very busy even though we were there after harvest season and visited mid-week. They have a wonderful gift shop, and I ended up splurging and buying a DC champagne saber. The only detraction to this property is it is too close to the highway.

This was our first winery - and it set a standard hard to top. The venue is stunning, tasting room is like out of a movie. The champagne was delish. My sister did wine instead, liked it all. Great gift shop area. This can’t be missed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Domaine Carneros this afternoon. We made a reservation only an hour and half prior to visiting & lucky for us on a Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm it wasn’t too busy at all.
The art of sparking wine tasting ($30 a person) was a treat & I enjoyed the fact that they poured it all out for you in one go with a laminated piece of paper underneath with a clear explanation of what you were sampling. I prefer this to the usual waiting around at wine tastings.
We also went for the sparking wine cheese platter pairing & it was really good ($20). The cheeses were all delicious & the apricot jam & nuts & crips bread just rounded out the flavors beautifully. Grounds too are beautiful with steams & weeping willows.
I’ll dock a star for the mediocre friendliness of the seating hostess & server as I feel it’s all part of the experience. Otherwise a great winery to try in Napa.

I am so sad to say we were disappointed by our visit. The grounds were nice and the food and drinks were good, but our server was clearly not having a good day. He didn’t smile once, recited all the food and drink info like a recording, and didn’t bother to turn away when coughing (he did have a mask on, thank goodness). We even had to holler his name and wave him down to order some caviar after walking to nearby tables several times and not checking on us. I really expected this place to be the highlight of our trip, but we had much better experiences at other wineries. Hopefully this was a one-off, as our friends recommended we visit, and most other reviews are quite good.

I have visited Napa Valley more than a dozen times but yet this is the first time here. I was pleasantly surprised at how approachable everything here was, from the price point to the service. In addition, you are sipping refreshing white wines in a castle with beautiful views. I encourage white wine lovers to give this place a visit.
First of all, I have to divulge I am partial to French champagne and didn’t think that California sparkling wine could compare well. I was mistaken since I found some of the offerings that I tasted, though different, were worth buying. We also went to another sparkling wine winery this visit, and though we found the cave tour interesting, was not a memorable experience despite the higher price tag. So I was pleasantly surprised that I did enjoyed both the wines and the atmosphere at Domaine.
We opted for the Taste of Peru tasting since I find food pairings lets us appreciate the wines better. In addition, we even ordered a charcuterie plate so we can leisurely enjoy the wines after we finished with the paired food items. The staff didn’t hurry us out after we finished with the scheduled tasting and let us sit and enjoy the ambiance and more wines if we wanted. We appreciated that.
Our server provided a good explanation of the wines we were tasting, and which food pairs well with them. He gave decent pours unlike other wineries at similar or higher price points for the tastings.
Due to the enjoyable experience here, we decided to join their wine club. The price points for the bottles were very reasonable. Hope that we will enjoy their wines at home as well as at their location.

Beautiful Chateau and good sparkling wine.
John (server) was horrible.
Canceled our membership after that experienced.

Great estate! Beautiful views. Great sparkling wines. We absolutely loved it. Amazing staff! I wil def recommend and return.

Really enjoyed the tasting. We made reservations in advance, and you need them. This is our second time there, great wine, nice experience , i recommend it. Beautiful place!

We were two couples who went here for the first time. We all got different tastings. The presentation was beautiful, the grounds were spectacular, the staff was professional and friendly, and they had a nice menu of apps to eat while tasting. We ordered the salmon and the charcuterie/cheese plate and it was plenty for four people. Make sure to make a reservation as it was pretty full when we were there. We did not feel rushed at all either, which was nice.

The property is a 12/10. Beautiful. The wine club, however, avoid at all costs. It has been nothing but a nightmare for my friend and I since joining during our visit. We received different information from the server initially signed us up, and the numerous phone calls made following shipment issues once we were home. Every phone call someone gave us a different answer and were completely unhelpful. The last excuse we received is that “someone” put a note in the membership records that said “rose only”, which we certainly did not request. We were anticipating a shipment of 6 bottles of one of the brut (forget about a mixed case, not a possibility, you have to get all the same - except for when they mislead you and let you put whatever you want in the first case). Now, instead of acknowledging that someone messed up our account in their system, we are stuck with 6 bottles of rosé that we did not want. There are soooo many better wine houses in Napa/Sonoma that have superb customer service and frankly offer better wine. Don’t waste your time or money joining this club.

Beautiful, palatial setting in which to sample wines & enjoy spectacular scenery. We came without reservations & were seated inside rather than on the patio. Still very pleasant, but it would be better to make reservations ahead of time. The wines are excellent and we plan to purchase some in the near future. Staff was helpful & informative. If we returned to the area would definitely revisit this winery.

What an amazing time/experience. We both did sparking wine flights. This was our first stop on tour and tit set off our day. Great views great service, thank you!

The fizzy wine is always delicious. We did try the Pinot flight as well, which I don’t think is their strongpoint. It is much more of a dry/light Pinot and my preference is for a fuller/fruitier Russian River style Pinot.
Somewhat over crowded. Definitely a bus tour stop, not sure I would go back unless I had family in from out of town etc.

I was really looking forward to a tasting at Domaine, unfortunately the visit/tasting was forgettable and rushed. On the positive side you will get some beautiful photos- the scenery is breathtaking. The tasting was rushed and the waiter didn’t explain the tasting. We went on a Friday- perhaps it’s less hectic earlier in the week.

We really enjoyed our champagne tasting (we got flights) and charcuterie plate and the overall experience. Although the road is a downside, the setting is still very nice.

Perhaps had my sights set to high on the winery we selected for our sparkling wine tasting. The chateau is indeed lovely and patio seating for tasting offers lovely view of valley. The sparkling wines were just not as good as I had hoped. Out of the four wines poured, only one was worth purchasing IMO. Perhaps we were just not in the mood for sparkling.

I love bubbly wine and wanted to especially see the beautiful grounds. We did have to wait for awhile for traffic to die down in order to turn on the road the winery is located on, which made for a bit of a harrowing experience to start.
We were seated outside and did the standard tasting. Our server was attentive, told jokes, and was really great. He gave us an extra pour for the last one due to what we had liked the previous pours.
I loved the grounds but did not care for the wine enough to buy some.
It was a great time and would go back.

Great place to try amazing bubbly and some great pinot noir! Had a great tasting outside with our server Jake! Place is beautiful. Make sure to reserve your tasting.

If you want to visit a winery with excellent service and atmosphere and wines that provide you with an excellent moment with your family and friends. You must made a reservation to visit this place but don't miss this place in your visit to Napa. You can take the tour or just sit relax and have a wine tasting with a cheese pairing. The best time is in the afternoon after 4:00 PM.

Our first time to Nappa. We just happened to be driving by and decided to stop. So glad we did!! It wasn't crowded when we arrived (3pm on a Friday) and we were seated just inside from the patio. The views were just breathtaking. Our server was knowledgeable and we never felt like we were rushed. I LOVED every glass of sparkling I had. We ordered 6 bottles. Would love to come back here again some day.

I absolutely loved this vineyard! The view alone is a reason to go! I tried the Sparkling Sampler and fell in love with the Brut!!! As we did not have a reservation (but is highly required) they allowed my friend and I to still do a tasting! So sweet and we are still so appreciative that you guys allowed us to try your amazing wines/champagnes! We will definitely return on our next trip to Napa!!!

If you enjoy wine tasting sitting down and having some cheese and crackers, this is the place to be. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed the tasting!

The resort/winery is breathtakingly beautiful. It's like a chateau. The champagne wine tour that we took was entertaining and fun. There were also a few tips on making bubbles last longer in a bottle and we saw the process of corking of the bottles after the yeast is ejected out of them. The view is amazing as we sat for some snacks in the outdoor porch.

Not worth the money. Expensive with not much information, felt very rushed. They serve you all 4 flight at the same time. I asked to hold the last two and server was not happy with the request. Overall not worth to pay $300 for such poor service

Jana was a fun and informative guide. She offered a lot of educational wine tips. This tour was enjoyed by my husband and two early 20 year old daughters. The wine offering was diverse enough for everyone to find one they liked. My only complaint is that the tour was limited to two rooms and the outside of the beautiful vineyard is deceiving. It is actually just a commercial building not an actual vineyard home.

I wanted to stop here to try the sparkling wines as a break from all the local reds and I was not disappointed! They had a good selection and the cheese pairing was delicious. The service was also excellent! Make sure you make a reservation before you go!

We started our tour of the wine country at Domaine Carneros and few others compared to their exquisite grounds. Santos was our server and did a wonderful job of providing insight on each champagne we tasted. The weather was truly beautiful so we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on their patio making the experience extremely memorable. We would definitely return on our next visit.

The most beautiful wine estate in Napa, great atmosphere, but very busy of course. The sparkling wines positively surprised us

Rude and unwelcoming. Our buzzer went off and the short dark haired woman in reception, Ashley I think, looked right at us and walked away. This was after her saying she just had to get a table set up for us and then we waited 45 minutes until we were actually sat. Good start.
Our waiter Richard didn't tell us anything about the wine or how it would pair with the cheeses we got. I got more info off the Miyoko cheese site. So look on there if you're getting the vegan cheese plate.
As we're drinking our wine, which we know nothing about, Richard comes over, sets down wine list and said here's bottle prices and left.
Whole experience was underwhelming. Red wine was meh. Staff was horrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Loved my experience here. When you pull up you see this beautiful French-inspired chateau, park and then walk up the front stairs between manicured formal gardens. We scheduled a Sparkling Wine tasting inside in this beautiful marble room with gorgeous chandeliers and beautiful views. The wines were all very good and they served cheese plates. Walked along their terrace with fountains and views of their floral gardens. Wish I lived closer would love to visit often.

A beautiful and almost breathtaking setting at the beginning of Napa and Sonoma Valley. The perfect place to start or end your valley tour. Nice service and really excellent Champagne and white wines ... well, prepared by Taittinger ... one of Europe's best wineries for these type of wine making. A must-go.

My daughter and I enjoyed the wine tasting. The place is beautiful, the service outstanding, and the wine and appetizers DELICIOUS!

We visited to see the magnificent building but the wine tasting is very commercial. The line was so long to get a spot that we didn't not stay to doe the wine tasting, plus the cost was unreasonable. The view from the top of the steps was magnificent.

The views cannot be beat. Plan on extra time to take pictures from the chateau!
We had our sampling in the club room, but the solarium was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Out of all the places we visited, this had the best decor for the holidays!
The wines were fantastic! We enjoyed several and placed a large order here. There were great deals for delivery available. There were some small food items available for purchase.
Parking is mostly a longer walk up to the chateau, but we were lucky to get one of the few handicap spots since my Dad has limited mobility. If we came during a busier time of year, this might have been an issue.
Service was nice. It wasn’t as personal as it felt at some of the other wineries but we learned a lot about the vineyard and the wines we were sampling.

We had a reservation for a flight of sparkling wine tasting, arrived and were rapidly seated on their wonderful patio with great views. However, we then sat there waiting for any service for 15 minutes and had to go and ask for service which arrived 5 minutes later, who then needed to handle other things before serving us. When the wines and cheese/meat plates arrived, it was a wonderful experience. I would have given this visit a 4-5 star rating if the service had not been so bad.

We were about two hours late to our reservation, because our flights were delayed, but they were so nice that they got us in! Very very nice people and the customer service the whole time was great! The selection is amazing! Tons of sparkling wine ! I wish we could do all of the tastings! Everything we tasted was great! I read online somewhere that they give a bigger military discount than they did, but I guess that website was wrong. They still gave us a discount, but it wasn’t as much as the blog I read. As soon as you walk up, you feel like you are about to walk into a palace or a mansion. Definitely get some pictures! Even when you are inside or outside on the patio, the view is spectacular! Definitely one of the wineries that you do not want to miss!

This is one of our favorite places. It’s truly a beautiful estate. Going up the stairs reminds me of a beautiful winery we visited in Porto Portugal. We enjoyed our tasting outside overlooking the beautiful hills of the Carneros region. There were sheep in the hills across the road and the landscaping is beautiful. The indoor area is also lovely. We’ve sat in both. The attention is always very friendly and eager to ensure you have a great experience. And of course, the most important part, the wines! They make truly amazing Sparkling Wines and Pinot Noir. The tasting and cheese pairing was delicious.

We made an impromptu stop for a birthday weekend and we’re extremely impressed by the estate. Reservations are recommended although we were able to be seated without one. Price/value is excellent and the tasting menu is a perfect way to experience what’s to be offered.

Sherry provided us with an informative, yet unobtrusive sparkling wine and pinot noir tastings. The setting was spectaular for a morning tasting to start our day of winery hopping with Private Wine Drivers. Definitely make this a priority stop!

Only go if you are a bubbly fan. The Pinots were not that good. It was crowded and loud. Property was pretty.

I was excited to visit Domaine Carneros as I love Tattinger Champagne. The experience did not disappoint. The Chateau and grounds are beautiful, and the wines were exquisite. The Sparkling Chateau tasting was very enjoyable. The staff were professional and friendly. No sales pressure on wine purchases and club, which was appreciated.

We really enjoyed our trip to this winery. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff was attentive and accommodating. Most importantly the wine was absolutely fantastic. We would definitely recommend visiting this winery.

Domaine Carneros is a breathtaking spot with sweeping porches and vistas including vines as far as the eye can see! The wines are delicious ranging from bubbly to full bodied reds! This was our first stop on our wine tasting visit and it set the bar high for the rest of the day! Dan was knowledgeable and friendly!

We went here on Friday morning and right whenever we walked in, one of the ladies who was doing our tasting said 'you girls don't look like you belong here. Needless to say, it didn't exactly start us off on the best foot.
We got the sparkling wine tasting with 3 different kinds of sparking wine for $25 and it was tasty. The grounds are gorgeous and if the weather is bad, they have plenty of seating inside for you and your group to relax.
You can order meat and cheese samplers as well as popcorn too for a little snack. Domaine Chandon is a lovely place for a bachelorette party to go to!

Beautiful setting, surprisingly food wines, outstanding tasting bites, but very pricey. Perhaps you do get what you pay for!
The setting is stunning, and the outdoor tasting areas beautiful. We reserved a spanish bites and bubbles pairing, which was expensive, but turned out to be a beautiful experience. The tasting does not offer much food, it is essentially a few very small bites of food, so this is not a lunch. The bites we had were outstanding, as good as fine dining in a Spanish restaurant.
We enjoyed the wine as well and ended up purchasing some to ship home.

I was expecting the hard sell to join their wine club, but that was not the case. John our server was laid back and very friendly brining extra pours of our favorite tastings. If you like Pinot noir and sparkling wines, this is a must.
The views are spectacular.

We had reservations ahead of time for a tasting and then a tour. We all tasted 4 sparkling wines with a cheese plate and a charcuterie. Everything was excellent, Our server provided us with information about each wine and the wine club if we were interested. Our tour was led by Jenna who was very knowledgeable and engaging! This is a great stop for anyone who enjoys sparkling and pinot.

This place is a must when visiting Napa Valley. It is absolutely gorgeous. People are so nice. Tasting was $35 for 4 wines. Worth every penny and I don't like white. The experience was exactly how I would love all my tastings to be.
As they pour each of 4 tastings they tell you about it. You can ask questions, order cheese trays, etc. They then leave you to enjoy the tastings at your own leisure. No hovering. I loved it. Picture perfect vineyard. You MUST make reservations ahead of time.

Domaine is clearly beautiful and serene and if nothing else, that will attract you to come to this place. The staff at the entrance at the bottom of the stairs are very friendly but inside beat with a different tune.
Good wine, ok wine tasting experience and would recommend at least for the views.

This winery is very proud of their sparkling wines. They should be, as they are delicious and beautiful. My favorites were their pinot noirs. The atmosphere at the location makes you feel like you're at a French mansion. The outside grounds are stunning and so well manicured. The views from the tasting room are of the rolling hills in many shades of green. Our server, Sherry, was very accommodating and helpful. We paired our wines with cheese which really enhanced the tasting. It was our best tasting experience in Napa. Make a reservation to be sure you have a space. Purchasing wine will waive the tasting fee. Joining their club will get you a discount on shipping and food pairings. This a a tasting experience not to be missed!

The grounds are very inviting, a very scenic place. Interesting architecture, pleasant staff. Good place to stop.

This is one of the most beautiful facilities with a great vista and views to sit and taste their wines, along with a cheese plate, or other choice. reservations are required for a sit down tasting. No other choice is available other than tasting and tours.

We ALWAYS stop here when we are in Napa/Sonoma, and their wines never disappoint. Over the years, however, it has definitely become more touristy and crowded. Everything is still wonderful, but there are more people.

i was in complete awww. the view is out of this world (even with this rainy weather)
i was greatly impressed with their pinots..
amazing. a definite must

We sat at our table for 30 mins without service. Then they said we were too loud. Horrible wine. Waste of our limited time in Napa. Don’t waste your time.

Came here for a family celebration! Although we hoped with our reservation to sit in the atrium, we were seated outside and as the sun moved, staff rearranged umbrellas so we did not get too much sun.
We all chose the same wine tasting, and the wines did not disappoint! The apps were just enough of a ‘nosh’ while looking at the beautiful countryside.
Our server, Jackson, was very friendly and knowledgeable. When he went on break, Janelle did a great job filling in.

Great Experience!
With Jana as a host, this visit was an amazing and fun learning experience. She provided very interesting and detailed explanations about sparkling wine production under Taittinger standards.
The premises and surroundings of the chateau are gorgeous. Highly recommended!
Make reservations well in advance as frequency and number of participants is limited.

An amazing "Customer Service Experience" rivaling the best of the
best. The views are stunning, the Chateau is exquisite, and the customer service impeccable from the servers, to the manager, Debi Clark, to the incredibly honest post-event cleanup personnel; and most importantly, the concierge phone service of "Rosa."
Domaine Carneros has my heart, trust, and respect. Our experiences over the past several years have been incredibly special starting with the famous sparkling wine flights.
There is a little something unique and contoured specially for each person.
Domaine Carneros is renowned as a small grower-producer of méthode traditionnelle sparkling and estate Pinot Noir.
The estate Pinot Noir experience is truly a gem.
On this particular occasion, all was perfect with the exception I had discovered I left my purse and had not realized until several
hours later after closing.
The next early morning before Domaine Carneros' opening, a special, diligent Rosa, had answered the phone. Rosa promptly placed me on hold to check with security. Upon Rosa's return, she confirmed my purse had been placed in the safe and would be waiting upon my return.
I must compliment the amazing "after hours" post-event cleanup personnel for their extra special attention to details, care taken,
and honesty.
Debi Clark, you have an amazing, special team. I thank you for this!

I went with my fiancee, who had never been to a winery, and we did their tasting of 2 Pinots and 2 sparking wines. The waiter was attentive and informative, even if he was delivering a "sales pitch." The cheese plate was great - wonderful selections and plenty to eat. Although we didn't end up purchasing any wine, it was a great experience at a beautiful locale. Unfortunately, we just missed getting on the last tour of the day, which I understand is great.

Terrible service provided by extremely rude staff
Too crowded which makes you totally insignificant to the staff. Ee never got served

DC was our first winery stop on a recent trip to Napa and even after a number of other tastings throughout a long weekend, it stood out as memorable. Spectacularly beautiful grounds, excellent wines and helpful, low-key service - also reasonably priced wine selection. Definitely worth a visit and tasting.

Nice place to stop and have some sparkling wine. Has a variety of tasting options and wait staff is friendly. Great photo location!

I have been here several times, it is enchanting to sip champagne on the terrace overlooking the vineyards.

We visited with a group of women. It was a beautiful winery, Neil was amazing and very knowledgeable when explaining each tasting, and the wine was fabulous. We loved visiting and could have stayed longer if we weren't on a time limit. A must see when touring Napa.
The cheese plate is worth purchasing as well. It had two local cheeses that were wonderful.

Full disclosure-this was our first stop at 4PM having just arrived on an east coast flight and getting up at 2:30 AM east coast time! We also are not into bubbly wines.
This place is absolutely stunning, and it was a beautiful blue sky day. We tasted out on the verandah. The views were great! We tried the red wine and sparkling samplers. The red wine was OK, the sparkling is not our style wine, but we wanted to give it a try. Our tastings were $45 each, and with tax was just under $100. We did a cash tip to our server.
We made the reservation online 2 months before we arrived, and that was a very easy process.

This is definitely one of the bigger vineyards in the Southern Napa region. It was a hard one to review as there really was nothing wrong with the visit, rather in comparing to the others throughout the day it didn't compare.
The staff were welcoming and pleasant, just geared towards getting groups in, seated, tasting and out to make way for the next. The tasing room accommodates a lot of people and was packed even on the rainy day we went. Be prepared to turn up early if you want to get in and seated quickly as they only take reservations for groups of 6+. It is clean, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
The wines: We did the sparkling wines produced by Tattinger at this winery. I had a mixed feeling about the wines, some were great, some were so so. I love Champagne so was excited to try their sparkling wines. I would say we were presented with a couple of vintage offerings that were a few years older than the base offerings and those definitely had a better review from me than some of the normal offerings.
I did like the room atmosphere with the open fire place. Additionally they took the time to build information cards that go with the flights of tastings.

Stopped to pick up some sparkling wines. The chateau is a very nice place to enjoy some sparkling wines with views of the local vineyards. You can get a variety of wines to choose from from sparkling to Pinot Noir, to Chardonnay. This is an elegant experience which will make you want to return again.

Lovely loction with sparkling wines. Add some Caviar and you will have a very good day.
However, make a note of how you make your payment. We had a flight of 4 samples and ordered two bottles to bring home from the charming Server. It turned out the two bottles were included in our final bill and we paid an extra USD 65 in tip. If we had purchased these in the gift shop we would have saved USD 65.
Sent an email to Caneros who immediately offered to refund the amount.

Great location, nice view, loved the caviar sampler! Our server Neal was very knowledgeable and helpful, first champagne and Pinot Noir tasting at the winery, both flights were very good. Definitely will visit again.

As most wineries, you have to make a reservation online first. The estate is beautiful.
The outdoor seating has a good ambiance overlooking the garden from the top.
They have different categories in wine tasting, but they are known for the sparkling wine.
We had the still wine along with cheese plate.
Our server was nice and took his time to explain each glass for us.

Our group of 7 reserved a private room. The wine was outstanding, and the service was to match. Our server took us thru the different vineyards, and was very generous with the pours. She was very welcoming. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back!

Domaine Carneros is one of those wineries that is going to get TONS of visitors because it's beautiful to look at. It felt like the Disneyland of all of the wineries we visited - special, but very corporate - like get you in, get you out. With that said, it was our first time experiencing caviar and their caviar flight was an awesome introduction. I left there wanting to try more and did!

Beautiful location and some excellent bubbly. Service at the front desk was a bit unorganized, but once seated for our tasting, it was an excellent experience.

We stopped at this winery last Saturday without a reservation and we were so happy that the staff made all they could to accommodate us! They found a table for us in their terrace, although in the sun. That was not a problem as the it was pretty cool and the sun helped warming us up.
Our waiter was great, so helpful and friendly.
We had two glasses of wine and they were great, and also their meat appetizer (so good!)
We loved the whole experience
If you are thinking on going to this winery, you may want to make a reservation as we were just very lucky to be accommodated

My husband and I, along with our traveling companions, did a tasting at Domaine Carneros on August 20, 2023. Half of our group tasted the bubbly wines and the other half tasted the still wines. Our tasting was proctored by Arturo, who did a great job of informing us about the wines we were tasting. The views from the patio were stellar, absolutely breathtaking. Well, we’re taking the time to taste wine at this beautiful location.

Domaine Carneros is one of the places I take people back to for every Napa tour. Its south of Napa and the view makes you think you're in Tuscany! Domaine Carneros is well known for their bubbles but they also have some amazing reds. My favorite tasting there is the bubbles flight with charcuterie and smoked salmon. You will get so many flavor combinations with that order! Make sure you get a patio seat for the view. Spring and fall are gorgeous and I recommend either brunch or late afternoon timing. The one thing I would avoid is the $75 sword bottle chop. It is a cool trick to watch but total tourist trap. I have been here 4 times and will continue to go back!

Sit on the outside patio! Beautiful views and great service. Enjoyed the wines & food. By joining the "basic" wine club, our tasting & food became very reasonably priced.

Visited Domaine Carneros in Napa today. Outstanding! The daily tasting selection is just perfect: 2 champagne glasses and 2 glasses of their red wine were accompanied by the cheese plate were just perfect. Great atmosphere and exceptional service. The whole venue is excellent with parking, tasting rooms. We came a little earlier than scheduled but Domaine Carneros was able to seat us immediately. Great wine, great champagne, great service and nice people = overall great experience. For sure we will be back!

Domaine Carneros is one of my favorite spots as a Napa veteran!!! I live in Northern California and I’m fortunate to be close enough to visit Napa regularly for the last 10 plus years and we love this winery. The grounds are gorgeous, the service is excellent and the sparkling rose is worth a tasting. Also would recommend for tastings, girls trip and couples adventures. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing property with divine views! We enjoyed a wonderfully sunny Napa day, sipping on a variety of sparkling wines and also enjoyed some surprisingly tasty Pinot noir. Our server, Corey, was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall our experience was top notch and we will gladly come back soon.

My wife and I booked the Sparkling Suite experience for our anniversary, and overall it was a great experience. The grounds are gorgeous, and the walk up to the main building gives you a chance to take in the grand scale of the place. We were a little disappointed at the location of the “suite”, which differs quite a bit from the pictures on the website. Well, it doesn’t really differ, but they definitely got creative with their picture taking. The picture advertises it as a private suite overlooking the patio and vineyards, but the description of a “private chateau balcony” means that it’s a second floor balcony directly over the main entrance. It wasn’t as private as we were expecting, and we could hear the noise from the main lobby the entire time.
The experience itself, though, was perfect! Our server explained the wines in detail and never made us feel rushed. I’m not the biggest fan of sparkling wines, but their wines were very good! Throughout the tasting experience, we also had cheese and crackers, smoked salmon, and a charcuterie board. And the food was almost as good as the wine!
As other reviews have mentioned, the highway does run immediately in front of the grounds, but after about five minutes we forgot that it was even there. The rest of the views easily drown out the highway being there.

The first thing to note is the beautiful home and view – spectacular. We really appreciated the tasting that allowed us to mix and match what we wanted to sample. This allowed us to try different sparkling and red varieties. Josiah did a wonderful job hosting us. I brought several bottles home with me, and our son actually joined their wine club. Worth the visit.

Must visit, beautiful setting and tasting room. A bit over-commercialized but all-in-all, worth the trip.

My husband and I had reservations but miscalculated the time and ended up arriving almost an hour early and they accommodated us by taking us to a beautiful table early. The view from every view on the patio is stunning. The entire grounds are breathtaking. The building itself is very nice and luxurious. The quality of the service, tasting and atmosphere was exceptional. We did not order any plates but they provided a cup of roasted almonds that were so good and we were happy we had them as they complimented our champagne nicely. Our Sommelier was very knowledgeable about champagne and it's making. He was very professional and friendly. There were some beautiful birds everywhere but they do not bother you as they feed them off to the side with significant amounts of nuts and etc. This place is off the beaten path but totally worth going as it is remarkable in it's beauty all the way around. You will not be disappointed. I would recommend reservations though.

The combination of the sparkling, my wife's favorite, and the atmosphere on a gorgeous day in the valley made this my favorite tasting of the trip. The only winery we visited south of Napa is located on the Napa/Sonoma border as the mountains become hills near the bay. It was interesting that the proximity to bay and the cooler temperature the winds and fog bring make this the best place for sparling grapes.
The tasting was great and I enjoyed learning about the 7 different types of sparkling. Let me say our guide was awesome here. Not only did she take pictures of our entire group but she gave us a lot of good and interesting information about sparkling.
All four glasses I had were great. However, the best part was the amazing view across the valley from the front patio of the main building. The day we visited was perfect weather and the afternoon shade was made our experience amazing, see the pictures. There are a lot of great places to visit and have some of the best food and drink. For me, this was an excellent stop that our entire group of 12 enjoyed. Take the time to visit

Turned away my French family with 2 kids and my Mom in a wheelchair 30 minutes before closing. There were plenty of tables.

Our first visit to Napa and our experience was amazing! The property is stunning and was definitely a highlight of our trip! The service was wonderful and we were not rushed at all - sat on the terrace enjoying our tasting and cheese plate on a beautiful warm sunny day for close to 2 hours! Highly recommend!

The views we nice but major roadway below is a negative. The champagne flight was excellent, but the over all ambience: uncomfortable cold metal furniture, no music, flowers, conversation about wines. No feeling of hospitality, the welcome average at best. No personality or warmth. Very basic and will not return.

Amazing wine (we did the red flight) , charcuterie options to accompany tasting (ordered the red pairing cheese board-delish!), great scenery and service! We sat outside on large patio area, had gorgeous views! Professional, expedient, professional service on a busy late Saturday afternoon! This was one of our TOP THREE places on our 5 day trip to the Sonoma/Napa Valley area!

Domaine Carneros was one of our favorite tasting experiences during our vacation in Napa. The venue and view are both stunning! This experience exceeded our expectations! We highly suggest enjoying a flight of sparkling wine paired with a charcuterie board and smoked salmon. A refreshing change from the cabernet we consumed throughout the week.

I made a reservation for Carneros online for a group of 5. Prior to arriving, I called multiple times to see if another guest could join us, making it a party of 6. I left a voicemail and yet my call was never returned. When we arrived, despite having a reservation, due to our "one extra guest" we were no longer allowed to sit in a specific room (with the windows, view, and fireplace aka the only reason to spend $60/person). According to Stephanie at the front, it is "impossible" to combine two tables with 6 chairs in that room to accommodate our group. When we walked in that room to take a peek, we saw 1 table with 6 chairs, so we knew it was possible. It was beyond offensive and discriminatory towards our group. Stephanie was rude to us, lied to our faces, and lacked customer service, which is much needed in her industry. I would never go back or recommend due to the treatment. Go to Cuvaison down the block - WAY cooler vibe and equally beautiful property & views.

Amazing experience! Great view! Great wine...bubbles! Great service! Reservations recommended. Hope to be back soon!

So we were charged for a bottle of wine that we neither wanted or asked for on our receipt. Then to top it off they charged us a 18% service charge. This service charge was supposed to be for a party of 5 or more. We were a party of only 2. My suggestion is that you make sure you check your receipt when they bring it to you to sign. Because they tend to sneak in stuff that you don't want. The service was no way near a 18% service charge that is supposed to be a tip.

We very much enjoyed our tour of Domaine Carneros. We learned so much about sparkling wine production. The tour guide was knowledgeable, personable, and informative about all things sparkling wine. The format of the tour was well thought out. The building and grounds are beautiful and based on a French chateau. Overall, enjoyable and a nice introduction for us to wine country.

Went for the sparkling wine and food pairing. Gorgeous surroundings, wonderful wines and delicious South East Asian bites to accompany each of the wines. The service was impeccable. Our server could not have been more polite, friendly and knowledgeable. This winery is owned by Tattinger and the wines were exquisite. 10/10!

It is one of the most beautiful vineyards in Napa, nestled in a castle on top of a hill, the visit to Domaine Carneros will undoubtedly be unique, ideal for family events or bachelor parties, yes, it must be booked with at least 24 hours in advance, minors are not allowed.

My friend and I visited on a clear, sunny day and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The blue skies and green vineyards made for a stunning backdrop, and the chateau-style building is gorgeous—definitely worth seeing in person.
We did the Bites & Bubbly tasting and really enjoyed it. We were seated inside next to big glass windows with a great view of the patio and vineyards. The sparkling wines were fun to try, and the food pairings were super tasty—everything worked really well together.
Our server was friendly and made us feel welcome. We were able to enjoy our tasting for about an hour and a half before walking around the property a bit more. Overall, we were there for about two hours and had a great time. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

A wonderful stop, great views, a variety of sparkling wines to try, snacks, a far superior experience compared to the other sparkling wine house in the valley.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon in December 2022. The building and the view from the outside was beautiful.
We did tastings that included both sparkling white wine and red wines. Every one we had was fantastic. The charcuterie board and caviar that we ordered with it were fantastic as well.
We had an appointment but had to take care of an emergency and they were super accommodating with moving our appointment back a bit.
We also happened to meet the CEO who took our picture outside and she was lovely. Excellent place. Definitely recommend.

This was a pick from an internet search for places with sparkling wines. We were not disappointed. Flights picked were great and just the right amount per glass. Food was tasty, but a little pricey. All toll a great time. Place looks like a French chateau in the middle of beatific vineyard/countryside.

Different feel here than other wineries we visited. Service is standoffish and slow. Beautiful terrace and view but the sparkling wines are boring compared to Chandon.

My wife and I had the sparkling wine sampler and it was an incredible experience. Not only were the wines delicious but the setting is unbeatable. The service was quick and friendly - highly recommended for your trip to Napa Valley!

The flights we had were incredible and we enjoyed our time sitting on the patio, over looking vines.
The meat and cheese plates were very good and we ate every last bite.
Our guide for the tasting was John and he was such a great guy! Really enjoyed our time with him.

Domaine Carneros is a beautiful place and has SOOO much potential to be great. The pinots were great and the sparkling wines are great. Here is the glaring issue.
We had 8 people (4 adult couples). We made (2) separate reservations for 4(this rant is focused on the management and seating staff only the server was awesome). They purposely set us on opposite ends of the seating area out of sight of other party knowing we were all together to forced us to pay a higher testing fee. ($60/per person versus ~$20) so $480 plus we purchased food. Our entire bill with tip was $560!
Once we said we'd pay $60/person we were seated together.
They kept telling us that they seat by server and that it would be impossible to have our two tables of 4 side by side and yet we got there at opening time and it was not close to full by the way when we left still not close to full so unacceptable and even when we asked could we have the two tables of 4 on the same side they would not allow it.
Also, We purchased several bottles to go and gifts as well as the food and no discounts on tastings. I've been to many wineries and almost all wave at least a portion of the tasting fees if you purchase from them but NOT here.
You can do much better with going to Domaine Chandon, Mumm or Gloria Ferrer and I highly encourage visiting them and making this one the absolute last choice until they become more customer focused.
So A rating on property and the actual server and the product and F on the management and seating staff.
I have to say it again...I've been to approximately 40 separate wineries in Napa and Sonoma and never had an unfortunate experience like this one. I am sorry to say I will never go back to Domaine Carneros as there are many many other customer focused great wineries out there with amazing staff and amazing wines.

This is a very picturesque winery with beautiful grounds and property and great views. It is a very commercial setting though and the service was not very personal. The selection of wines were good with enough variety. There is not much shade in the sitting area, so go earlier in the day.

Everything organized to perfection.
Gardens so clean they look fake. Very picturesque building, which looks like a Bordeaux chateaux....
Many tasting combinations to choose from.
Very well trained, very kind and friendly staff.
Lots of merchandising as often happens in the USA.
The wines are very expensive compared to Italian, Spanish or French standards, but I would say within the norm compared to US price standards.
High-end sparkling wines are very good but cost between 60 and 100 dollars a bottle, at these prices you can find excellent champagnes in France.

Sprawling ,sparkling estate on the way into Carneros. Bubbly is delicious sitting out on the patio ,the view is spectacular ,not my favorite champagne in Napa but certainly worth a stop as this is a beautiful view and who can resist a sparkling champs??

Not only did we get to sit in the new Arte Deco styled room for our flights of fun sparkling wines, but Arturo then took us behind the scenes, into the cellar to watch the disgorgement of the dead yeast and see the riddling cages! We had a great time!

We had a reservations at this winery it was our first time here as well . We waited 30 minutes to get any wines stared while other people just getting there were served right away. The server was not friendly and we were going to order caviar as well but service was just not welcoming or enjoyable! To take pictures is the only good thing and that’s free

We struggled to book any wine tours as we had children with us so we decided to book a table on the patio for some wine pairing. Kids had a lovely option of non alcoholic chardonnay, rose and pinot noir and were given proper glasses etc which they loved. if you are bringing kids here they need to be well behaved. it’s an adult place and was very busy. our waiter was great and gave us some history and we had a good selection of wines and ordered cheese and charcuterie. It was an expensive experience but this is the same everywhere in Napa so as long as you are prepared ! no hard sell which we liked and we bought bottle to take away as the wine is good quality. Would absolutely advise booking ahead and patio was much nicer than inside. great experience all round !

Nice scenery. Of course the Sparkling Wines speak for themselves. But instead of a warm, inviting experience with a Sparling Wine expert it felt more like a restaurant with a mediocre waiter that had a script concerning the wines. Not personal. He had many tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed. This was my first wine tasting experience and for the price I was expecting more information. The pours were generous, but almost wasteful for a morning tasting.

Domaine Carneros epitomises wine country luxury - breathtaking vineyards, regal chateau, and passionate staff reveal the art of winemaking with every exquisite pour. Totally worth the visit!

Service is not as good as before. When we first started coming in this winery, you can just walk in without a reservation, but now, a reservation is a must. Staff are not as friendly anymore and some staff are bit snobbish! We wanted to seat outside to their new garden salon as it was perfect for 2ppl. but was told that the server who handles that section has two much on her hand and cannot service 2 more ppl. What a joke! Both my friend and I works for Sales & Catering for over 30 years and your Manager should staff you accordingly knowing it’s the weekend and it’s a summer season. Well that’s all folks, I won’t be going here anymore...... there are other wineries that are far beautiful with better wine and champagne. I’ve been to Taitttinger in Reims France and that is truly the original with friendly staff who enjoys showcasing their champagne with a passion to their customers.
Note: Some stores carries Domaine Carneros champagne and maybe cheaper if you purchase in the store.

By far one of my favorite wineries in Napa Valley. The sparkling wine is everything I want in life to be honest. You get a great selection for the price. Also, it's just the most beautiful place ever.
10/10 would recommend visiting if you're doing a wine tour.

Great veranda to sit and relax and sip and munch! Our group of four stopped in for a veranda wine tasting (their are several choices) and light snack and the VIEW...we took many photos. All of the sparkling and other wines were quite tasty yet on the more expensive side. We were not pressured to join the wine club as some other places do.

It was the perfect temperature outside when my boyfriend and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary sipping sparkling wine and eat this delicious charcuterie and cheese board. The surroundings are out of a fairy tale. The grounds of Domaine Carneros couldn’t be more beautiful. It’s in my top 3 most beautiful wineries I’ve ever been to. Would absolutely come back again.

Went here at the suggestion of our limo driver who we hired to take us to wine country for the day. Two couples, mid sixties in age, well dressed walk in about 11:00 on a quiet Tuesday morning. We were not acknowledged, greeted or approached by any of the 3 or 4 people working the reception area. We walked around for about 10 minutes and called our driver to tell him we were leaving. He felt terrible about it but it was of course not his fault that they chose to not earn out business. Very disappointing as my wife and the other couple were looking forward to a tasting here.
Perhaps we caught them on a off day, but we will never visit them nor purchase their products. You only get one chance to make a first impression

It was a perfectly Chris’s sunny day on our visit to this winery. Not our first time. This time it was as magical and amazing as before. We did the classic sparkling tasting ($45) and the mixed - sparkling and reds ($60). The grounds are so beautiful and we were in the atrium where we had a beautiful view of the vinyards and hillsides. Such a tear to come here. Our host, Andres, was welcoming and knowledgeable! I even joined their wine club!

This is definitely one of my go to places when in Napa. The views are absolutely amazing. The sparkling wine sampler was very good and we purchased several bottles to take with us. We did not have a reservation but they were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were busy but do take a few walk-ins. Make sure you make a reservation for this one. You won't want to miss it!

The view was amazing! Walking up the many steps with gorgeous foliage and fountains to the top to see the majestic view of all the surrounding hills and vineyards is worth a stop. The mansion is so grande and interesting as well. I chose the sparkling flight which was fun but I didn't love it. My husband had the Pinot flight and I really liked it a lot! I'm not a fan of earthy Pinots so you need to know they are not at all earthy. Definitely worth comparing to others to discover what you like or see the diffences in how climate, soil, and other things change flavors. These were all light and fruity, not earthy. To me it was the best Pinots in the Sonoma area. It's a personal preference.

We brought our adult children to Domaine Carneros to experience the chateau and the spectacular views. Worth doing even if you are not a big fan of sparkling wines. Unfortunately it was just too hot to enjoy the outdoor seating, but still a memorable experience.

Overcrowded and noisy. That thing Domaine Carneros sold me is anything but a professional wine tasting.
I´ve been to other ones during the same week with a much much better service.
Stay away!!

This was our first stop on our trip to Napa. The main building is unbelievable. We sampled 5 different wines. The staff was very knowledgeable. Highly Recommended.

My wife and I visited Domaine Carneros during our one day of wine tasting in the Napa Valley. We were really looking forward to the wine tasting and visiting the building and grounds but we left feeling disappointed.
We were frustrated to see other people receiving excellent customer service from their servers who explained the wines and went above and beyond to make sure that their customers had a great time. We cannot say that our server provided the same service as he was unfriendly and we felt rushed after we had finished our wines.
We ordered two of the sparkling wine samplers and none of the wines were fantastic and worth the bottle price. We also ordered a charcuterie selection which cost $25, however it was extremely basic and was only worth around $10.
We visited smaller vineyards and received much better customer service and the wines were better. We will therefore not be returning to Domaine Carneros in the future.

Beautiful winery, one of the best in Napa. Really good views and restaurant/lounge area. Highly recommend their charcuterie plates.

I really enjoy sparkling wines and wanted to give them a try. When I first booked online, it said the tasting would take place indoors. I gave them a call closer to my trip as a I had a couple questions but got lackluster service. On their recording I noticed it said the tastings take place outdoors. I inquired about this when I called and was told "wherever it says your tasting is when you book is where it will be." Okay but your recording says...anyway... My tasting said it would be indoors but I was pleasantly surprised when my friend & I were seated outdoors.
Very pretty location and wine was decent although I didn't love any of them enough to purchase any. Service was also great while we were there.

A recommended stop. They have special wine but if you like Bubbly, this is a must stop! This place exudes elegance and the fine things of life. Plane on more than 1 hour for the seated tasting. They have cheese and other pairings get them. It will make all the difference.

We visited on a gorgeous 70 degree Thursday in January, heading north to Yountville. We had the recommended 4 glass tasting and charcuterie board paring. The pours are generous to say the least! Only down side was a bird flew on our table and stole the crackers off our cheese board.
In total we only needed about 45-60 mins here.
Sun was shining, great service, beautiful views. Would recommend stopping if you are passing through!

It's okay, it was a great place to take pictures and drink some bubbly. Nevertheless, too many people go there, you can't take pictures in the garden and there isn't much food available. Would recommend a more boutique experience. There were very flexible with walk ins, but we didn't do a tasting.

The wine was very good. I had sparkling and my husband had the red flight. The view was gorgeous and loved having a flight with cheese and charcuterie! We came for brunch. Would definitely recommend.

Our guide / hostess Jana is a charming character ! she is so lively sharing interesting and funny anecdotes with the visitors, we really enjoyed her way to present the property and the wine making process. The wines themselves were quite good, especially the sparkling wines.
So a very good experience even if it sounds a bit casual (easily accessible though for those who visit a winery for the first time)

Domaine Carneros is now my new ‘first stop’ when visiting the Napa wine country. The Chateau is gorgeous and the grounds are stunning. It is so serene and beautiful, and that is before you even get to the champagne. We sat inside as it was very overcast and chilly outside. We were initially a little disappointed until we met Kelly, our server. She was so much fun and extremely knowledgeable. We were visiting with my Uncle and girlfriend who had not visited the wine country before so they had ‘tons’ of questions. Kelly patiently answered every question, and I think we only stumped her with one which she quickly gained the answer to. Thanks to Kelly we decided to come back the next day and do a tour and I also signed up as a wine club member. Kelly then became the standard for the rest of our trip over the next 2 weeks (Yosemite – Tahoe – Monterey – San Francisco) and even though we had some great servers we found ourselves saying to each other that they were “not as good as Kelly” :-) Thank you Kelly for such a fantastic morning and making such an impression, you remained with us for the rest of my family’s trip.

Domaine Carneros was the first winery that my husband and I visited back in 2013. It is the first winery that he and I along with our son and his girl friend visited on our recent visit. It is by far my favorite winery. The winery and its surroundings are stunning. There is nothing better or more relaxing than sitting on the patio enjoying a tasting of sparkling wines along with a cheese plate and a charcuterie plate. Domaine Carneros will always be first on our list when we visit the Napa Valley.

This is the second time we visited this lovely location. The service was excellent. The server had a great attitude, very friendly and gracious. The wine tasting was amazing. This place is always fantastic! Food was delicious!
Only negative was the surly, obnoxious attitude of the guy working behind the front desk. Some folks without a reservation asked if they could enter the premises. The guy behind the counter talked down to them, acted very snotty and condescending. It did not affect us but I felt sorry for the folks trying to get in. Fire that creep!

If you are in Napa and love champagne, this is a must visit. You will need a reservation but it is so worth the visit , pours are super and there sparkling wine , as you can’t use the word champagne unless it’s from France , it’s super , we did just that tasting as there are so many good winery’s in Napa. Grounds and special and the staff is super friendly and helpful and you are not rushed in any way, sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the view

This is the larger sparkling wine venue in Napa. I was a little concerned Carneros might be overly busy with large groups from tour buses. However, we visited on a weekday afternoon and were very pleased with our relaxing experience. They have an awesome outdoor seating area with amazing views and of course the sparkling wine was great.

Bubbles Better Than Champagne - It’s like a day in the countryside of southern France . The food, the people, restaurant, store, tour, tasting is five star! We would love to go once or twice a month to feel like royalty. Diego and all the servers and customer service personnel are so helpful and friendly! We ordered cases of wine and bubbles so we can have them delivered to our house and we can enjoy them all the time. The view is the best in all of Napa Valley!!! The sparkling wine is the closest thing to actual champagne and I actually think we like it better🍾🥂

Domaine Carneros was our first stop in Napa. Francisco was our server. We did the champagne tasting. Each glass was better than the first. Francisco was very knowledgable about the champagne. Beautiful setting. Our first club membership. Can’t wait for our first shipment!

It's one of the BEST first stops for a Napa wine tasting tour. 10 am appt for 16 started with bubbly and education behind the scenes. We are a chatty group and our tour guide was amazingly understanding. Then we proceeded upstairs for more education and Le Rev! It's the BEST. EVERYTHING was perfect. We even got some extra pours! Finished off with cheese plate pairings and most of us purchased wine. Our group is from the Bay Area. This is an annual neighborhood trip that's been going on for well over 10 years. Domaine Carneros is one of the good ones for larger groups and awesome for small groups. It's always our first stop whenever we go to Napa! Go, enjoy and be happy!!

We went here on a Sunday afternoon. We had a reservation, though when we got here, they said it would be 10 minutes or so. After 15 minutes, we noticed lots of other people getting seated that came in after us. When we asked about it, they questioned whether we even had a reservation. After getting this straightened out, we were shown to a table where we were right up against other people.
This winery has great Pinot noir. That said, this place is better suited to 22 year old influencers than to those looking for a quality experience. It is crowded, and not nearly as good an experience as other top wineries in the Napa area.

It was disappointing, we had a reservation for tasting the top sparkling wines.
The place is very nice, it is the reproduction of a French castle;
We were seated in a very nice salon , but we didn' had, even a short tour of the facilities, we could have been in an hotel lobby in Napa, except for the nice view from the terrace.
We were served the 5 wines at the same time, so if your take the normal time to taste them, when you reach the last ones, which are supposed to be the best, there are no more at the ideal temperature.

We went here with another couple back in March and I think this place is perfect for a bachelorette party. I would book your tasting beforehand so you can be sure to have a place to sit and relax. The views are simply gorgeous.
Everything in Napa is expensive so be prepared to spend around $50 for just a tasting.
Ubers/Lyfts will drop off and pick up from here!

My husband and I were the only 2 people on the tour which we absolutely loved!!! If you plan on visiting Napa do so in the winter time, it is not as crowded. Jana was our tour guide and she was awesome!! We both learned so much and of course brought bottles back home with us. The property is stunning!! Cannot wait to visit again.

Of all the places we visited in Napa this was the most unfriendly and non accommodating for a walk in even though they were not busy. As we were turned away I checked the on line reservations and found that I could indeed get a table on the spot. I will not visit again

We really enjoyed this experience. The setting was elegant yet tasteful. Our sommelier was informative and helpful. The sparkling wine was tasty and plentiful. Highly recommend!

My husband and I visited over a dozen wineries on our week-long trip through Sonoma. There were both good and not so good parts to this visit, thus averaging out to 3 stars.
First the good:
It is an absolutely beautiful setting and we were there on a gorgeous day. Offered great photo opportunities.
The champagne and sparkling wines were good.
A shout out to Gabriel who patiently answered our questions and did not make us feel rushed.
The not so good:
It is a very commercial operation. Felt like a big depersonalized commercial machine. We showed up for our appt on time, and had to wait 45 mins to be seated. There was no personal feel which is something you get at the smaller family run wineries.
While the champagnes were good they were overpriced. Not surprising given the operation.
Worth one visit - but that's about it.

Went there with my wife and spent $100 and when we left asked why did we just do it? The wines were OK. Nothing memorable. Very busy and while nice the staff seemed more incented in selling wine club memberships than talking about the wines themselves. Once it became apparent we weren't interested in purchasing more wine or a membership it was just a matter of how quick we could move one. While some Napa vineyards seemed focused on a relaxed enjoyable time, Domaine C seemed much more corporate and focused on turning tables or selling product. If the product was outstanding then great, but unfortunately it is not and the Disney atmosphere just seems to exacerbate the overall experience.

We engaged in 5 different winery tastings over a long weekend end and this was BY FAR our most favorite tasting. First, the property and grounds are beautiful! This place is reminiscent of traditional French Chateaus. Get there early and walk the grounds before going inside to attend a tasting. Domain Carneros is known for their Sparking Wines. We were fortunate to have Sherry, the Wine Fairy, as our guide. We were seated downstairs in an area that overlooks their production facilities. The view was meh, but that didn’t detract from the delicious tastings. We loved almost every we tried. We were so impressed both couples in our group joined their wine club. Sherry made our experience memorable. She is a gem!
Also, they sell beautiful flutes for their sparkling wines at very reasonable prices. If you only have time for a couple of tastings, make sure this one is on your list!

This was a terrible visit. 30 minutes late for our reservation and then rushed all the way through. We were only able to make the reservation by adding food. Over $1000 dollars for nothing. The worst was the checkout; 45 minutes to try and split the bill only to have it all dumped on the 4 card and be told they couldn’t manage to split it.
The only good thing a bout the visit was the young busboy who could balance 42 wine fluted in one hand.

Visited Domaine Carneros for my anniversary. I was super excited to do a tasting here. First off, the grounds are beautiful and the chateau is breathtaking. However, for me and my husband, that’s about it. The tasting experience is very commercialized. You feel like you’re at a wine bar and not a personalized experience. Our wine host brought our tasting flight over, spoke to us for a little bit and that was it. He had a lot of groups to attend to, so it felt very underwhelming compared to other wine tastings we did. If this is a place that’s on your bucket list of places to visit, definitely see it, take some photos, but don’t expect personalized experience.

In Napa for 4 days with friends. Our last day (today) decided to end with Domaine Carneros. We saw it from the road 6 years ago and decided we really wanted to check it out as our last stop. As a birthday celebration we decided to splurge with a glass of sparkling wine! We walked up to the desk and were promptly told that tastings were our only option and that’s what most of the wineries did now. Hmmmm...after 4 days visiting the premiere wineries in Napa we never found this to be the case. We were willing to spend more than the tasting per glass! Very tacky Domaine Carneros...we will not be back.

Extremely expensive!
We were charged $4 for the water without even asking for it. Very expensive and not recommended. The fees and tips make the tasting that looks like it costs 40 USD end up costing about 70 USD. Expensive and scarce food. Not recommended.

We made a stop here for a few glasses of wine on our way up to St. Helena. This place is beautiful! The patio seating area has such an amazing new and the wine was great. The service was also good as well. It's worth the stop.

Had a great time with the bubbly tasting and some wonderful cheese. Beautiful chateau and gorgeous views.

This is a lovely setting and we came on a sunny day to appreciate the great views. We had a sparkling wine flight with salmon & bread & crème fee he and capers. Very fun experience with friendly John as our waiter.

The place is beautiful and has a beautiful view, but that’s really it. This winery is essentially a gift shop. You can try the wine but you are just another unit to them to get in and out. The staff isn’t rude or anything but there is no substance there, it is a gift shop. Nobody will tell you about the winery, there’s no tour of anything or history or detail about the wine. You just get seated, order and then you’re out. The worst part for us was the bugs. If you sit outside which most do, they do not have heaters and there are a lot of little gnats and bugs flying around. We all had a couple of bugs in every single glass by the end so just look out for that. You would think they’d be aware and not seat people outside or give covers for your glasses, just something to set on top. Anyway the wine itself is fine. View is fine. Staff isn’t super friendly it’s just fine.

Due to an unexpected cancellation to our connecting flight, we found ourselves stranded in San Fran for 12hrs which lead us to Napa. I was able to book a tasting & tour last minute. Unaware of the length of the tour & the restrictions on the amount of wine we are able to consume, I was upset we wouldn’t have time to enjoy wine on the terrace and take in the scenery. Luckily, Stephanie secured a table for us immediately. Our waiter was no where in sight and aware of our time restraints, Stephanie (the hostess) checked in with us, took our order and even served us. Thank you Stephanie for making our short visit a memorable one. Because of you, we enjoyed our visit to the winery & was able to catch our flight in time. We look forward to coming back to visit in the near future.

There are lots of wineries in Napa and Sonoma where you can enjoy an experience. This isn’t it. We felt rushed from start to end. There was no history of the winery given or other information. Might as well have gone to a restaurant and ordered wine with food for a better price. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was so incredibly disappointing that I wanted to let others know. Book some where else.

This is a beautiful vineyard. The sparkling wines are outstanding. The pairings of wine to food was exquisite. The property is beautiful. Service is very friendly. It’s a great way yo spend a Sunday afternoon. Lovely.

Although the grounds of this venue are stunning and the views are breathtaking, the wine flights in my wife and I's opinion were only okay.
Pros:
-This place is beautiful. Think french country side and you have a good picture of what to expect. Beautiful sparkling chandeliers, grand fireplaces, uniquely painted walls, shining marble, and sweeping courtyards.
-There is ample places to sit inside and outside on a good day
-This venue is staffed well, and you aren't left waiting long
Cons:
-This place is very busy. If its not a nice day, and everyone has to sit inside, then the noise volume in the house is very loud, and its hard to have conversations easily.
-If you are a red wine drinker, this place doesn't not have a great selection. They are more known for their bubbly wines.

We were a little nervous booking our tasting on a Sunday at 4pm knowing that the winery closed at 5pm, but we had a great experience and sat sipping our wines until almost 6pm with no issues. The flight of sparkling wines was delicious, and both the view and the service were wonderful. We actually had an issue when we first arrived with a couple nearby having a fight that was hard to ignore, but we mentioned the issue to our server and within minutes the manager handed the couple their check and out they went, so the rest of our time there was quiet and lovely. The gift shop offered several fun items that we added to our collection, and having the ability to park at the top of the hill and not walk up the many steps in front was most welcome. We'd recommend a stop for a tasting.

Our group visited Domaine Carneros this past weekend and were excited about the bubbly tasting options on their menu. We arrived to a beautiful venue but that's about where the beauty ended. We were greeted by a friendly woman and sat out on the front outdoor terrace. It was EXTREMELY loud and full of very drunk people...you could not hear the server talk about the wine, though in all honesty, he didn't have much to say about it at all. We were served the champagne, with cards with the info on it and that was it. Maybe because there was a tent over the patio, but it was extremely loud and noisy and you couldn't talk to each other at the table. The champagne was so so but not worth the tasting fee. We were in and out under 45 minutes.

Beautiful setting lovely building sparkling wines delicious Pinot noir service was excellent cheese plates and charcuterie tray well worth the price wine great deal to done especially if you live locally Should make reservations We highly recommend this winery

My friend and I did the sparkling wine tour and enjoyed it. It was a nice change from the otherwise heavy red tastings. The tour was informative and we both learned a great deal; Jana was our guide. If you’re looking for bubbly, Domaine has a great selection. My one recommendation is to move the tastings for the tour to the more scenic salon; the basement area was a bit outdated and nothing special.

I liked the experience but not sure whats hype is about. I did the daily tastings , the seating and wine sample pours are decent and proper tour might elevate the experience. Yes the french building looks cool but you donot need book tastings to see the building.. actually for people who already on a row of visting wineries..I suggest take pics from parking lot and return unless you are wine enthuiasts who likes to try different wines.

We went for a wine tasting at Domaine Carneros. Although it was busy, we didn’t have to wait too long for a table and the staff were quite accommodating.
I had the red wine flight, which consisted of 4 different Pinot Noirs. They were each quite distinct. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great tasting and a great time.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Domaine Carneros! We had an appointment for the 3:00 "Art of Sparkling Wines" tour. We arrived 30 minutes or so early and enjoyed a glass of "sparkling wine" on the terrace. The winery itself is absolutely gorgeous -- almost royal feeling -- and the view is breathtaking! (Just as an aside, they have a 3 glasses of wine per day max, which is a good thing. Because both sparkling wines and red wines are tasted during the tour, that counted as 2 glasses, but it was certainly all we needed or wanted.) The "Art of Sparkling Wine" tour is very enjoyable and informative. Our guide was wonderful! (I cannot remember her name, unfortunately, and she has a sweater on over her name tag in all my photos. Blonde, expert on all things wines and sparkling wines. She has worked there for years. Maybe that will help.) We had an introduction in a room where others cannot go, then she took us out to a more private terrace, picked some bunches of grapes for us, then told us a general overview of how they make sparkling wine in the "method traditionnelle" manner -- in other words, the same way they make it in Champagne, France. We were given tastings of their classic sparkling wines, as she took us through an overlook of the production areas. It was fun! We learned that every "champagne" bottle's wire over the cork must be twisted an exact number of times to free the cork. (I'm not going to tell you the number. Take the tour!) At the end of the tour, we had a seated tasting of their red wines. The tour lasted about 90 minutes. There are places to sit along the way, if you cannot stand for that amount of time. We were there in high season, so I would say the tour was full, but it was a fun, small group, and we enjoyed one another!) Because we had already made dinner reservations, we did not try their food selections. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Domaine Carneros is a Napa Valley sparkling wine winery. They do not offer tours but they do have several charcuterie board brunch options which include flights of sparkling wines and some regular wines to sample. The chees and crackers and fruit accent some of the sparkling wines quite well.
They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. It is not free and you need to make reservations.

I had such a lovely visit to Domaine Carneros a couple weeks ago (server was Josiah), that I returned today to buy a case of bubbles, rose and blanc de noir and some outstanding pinot noir, le ciel serein (serene sky) 2015 to send home for family Thanksgiving feast. Robert was a great help, as I sampled brut rose, double disgorged, la rêve, ooohlala. The bubbles, made in the traditional method, vary in taste, creaminess and price, yet all are very worthy enough to bear the name Tattinger. The cheese plate is a treat.
Enjoy my photos. Santé 🍾

We had a lovely afternoon tasting wines with the cheese board.
The wines are very good and the location is superb
Thank you Sherry for looking after us

Domaine Carneros was our first experience in Napa. We chose to do a tasting vs a tour and tasting. As you drive up the driveway, you can’t help not being in awe of the beautiful chateau at the top of the stairs.
There are tables set up outside on the terrace as well as inside. The weather was perfect, our tasting was outside on the terrace. We sampled 4 different wines , to sparkling, and two still.
Our host Chris was excellent.... very friendly and knowledgeable. Food is available for purchase. We chose not to order food as we were planning on a picnic lunch after our tasting.
We were a party of 8, and made reservations prior to arriving.
Th e views are amazing and the wines were refreshing.

The views are stunning here, it’s a place to come sip champagne and take in the scenery. The staff was wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable. I came here with my best friend to celebrate both our birthday’s and was not disappointed. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with good company and lots of Champagne and food.
Love it here.

As a local, I've driven past Domaine Carneros a thousand times without stopping. Recently, I took my family from out of town touring, and since it looked pretty impressive from the outside, I decided we should stop.
It was overpriced for a tasting and the wine wasn't very good, just average. It felt like a serious tourist trap to me. I enjoyed the views and the building's exterior, but beyond that, it was small, crowded, the gift shop was tiny, and the tour was fussy and expensive, as was the tasting. We didn't buy any wine from here.
It's a good place to stop, climb the stairs, admire the view, and move on.

I had a great time celebrating my birthday with friends. Reservation was easy, but book as early as possible. Great outdoor seating. Great service. Beautiful winery. Good food options for tasting.

Loved this winery! What a shame that my wife and I have been told we are not welcome here because we are parents to someone under 21.
We just cancelled our membership.

The views and the vibe of the chateau are like something you see in movies or it's like Instagram in real life. It is located on top of a hill and you cannot miss this in case you are cruising by. The interior is elegant and you have a picturesque view of the vineyards and also catch the sunset.
They have a great selection of wine and also serve small bites. We got our wine flights with a charcuterie board to share.
Our server was kind, patient, and attentive and we had a great conversation with him and learned more about the property, the wines, and other information.

Upon arrival they had sign for reservation required, which we didn’t have one. We decided to just walk in to just see if they can take us in, which they did. It was a great experience and a beautiful place to visit. Prices were also good, and I highly recommend visiting this place.

I visited Domaine Carneros on a girls trip to Napa recently. Since this winery specializes in sparkling, we decided to reserve a tasting in the morning so we could fit in some of the wineries that specialize in red later in the day - you can drink before 11AM if it's a brunch drink, right?! The grounds are beautiful and there are so many fun photo opportunities outside of the chateau. We opted to sit on the front patio to enjoy the fresh air. The service was excellent. The wines were delicious. My friend who is gluten and dairy free was able to order a vegan cheese board that we all ended up trying - seriously the best vegan cheese I've ever had. While this winery is on the larger side and can be a little more touristy, it's 100% worth the visit, especially if you pepper some smaller family wineries afterward.

Did a tasting here on our recent Napa trip. The best part is that the place is very photogenic. The Chateau's exterior is gorgeous, and the elevating setting offers a great view of the surrounding vineyards and the valley overall. A+ for this part of the experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, service was quick, and our waiter gave some good information considering it was just a tasting and not a tour. I am not a hugely knowledgeable wine person, so perhaps take this with a grain of salt. We did the sparkling wine sampler and for me, the wines were forgettable. Neither overly sweet or overly dry, nor especially tasty - just pretty average sparkling wine. My understanding is that this is one of the larger wine producers in the valley so they're doing large batches and aren't really making "boutique" wine so the wine is about what I'd expect given that. We also ordered the charcuterie plate, which was good - a couple of different types of salami, four types of cheeses, jam, bread, crackers, some dried apricots and some nuts. In any case when we go back to Napa we'll probably not come back here - its a great place to go for some photos, but given all the options in Napa, there's better uses of your limited time / money in terms of the actual wine you can taste and winery experiences.

If you like sparkling wine this is an interesting visit. I wouldn't say it was the best winery we visited but we enjoyed it.

The Chateau Carneros feels like you are being just a bit spoiled, perhaps like royalty. For a less crowded feel go early after they just open. Our table outside was lovely and we tasted some wonderful bubbly wine plus 2 Pinot Noir wines. An impressive place to take a special friend and in my case a second visit is a must!

Four of us started our Monday here for the Bubbles & Bites: A Journey to Spain tasting/food pairing. Our server, Andres, was wonderful. Gave us plenty of information about the history of the wine and property. Our bites were all delightful and paired wonderfully with each of the tastings. The property is absolutely stunning and worth the visit even if you don't want to try and wine - but they know how to do sparkling wine and I highly recommend.

Although the property was beautiful, it was overrun with people, and it wasn't even prime season. We arrived for the tasting and we led upstairs to a very, very loud room with no ambiance at all. We couldn't tell if we were at a winery or my grandma's living room. We asked to be seated downstairs (which had more ambiance) and they said they were not seating downstairs as it was full. Hmmm, what is the point of reservations then?
We were not willing to spend money on tasting wine in a living room setting with obnoxious and loud women, acting like teenagers. This is not a wine setting. There are plenty of other wonderful wineries, but if you like a touristy, loud setting with no ambiance - this place is for you.

A well organized welcome area, good parking. Sharp and fast service. Great outdoor sitting area. Bubbles tasting and food pairing menu well executed

Domaine Carneros was a great stop for the end of our day in Napa. The chateau was beautiful and made for great photo opportunities. We had an appointment and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was wonderful and really made the experience enjoyable by answering our questions and helping us choose the tasting best for us. Even though he was busy he was happy to take a photo of our group at the table. This is definitely not a stop for the serious wine tourist as I believe we heard 3 different people break a glass over the course of the hour we were there, but it was late afternoon so I suppose that happens. I would highly recommend Domaine Carneros for anyone into sparkling wines, even those who aren't as two people in our group were very pleased with the bubbles even though they don't typically prefer them.

We arrived without a reservation and they graciously accommodated it. They offer cheese plates, caviar and charcuterie plates. The wine was very good . The only bad thing here was the service. Not very friendly waitresses. I would visit again.

We came to Napa for my sister's birthday, but weren't exactly sure where to go wine tasting. While I was driving she looked up some of the best places to go tasting and came across this place. We called to see if they could squeeze us in and they kindly said that they would find space for us ASAP. We pulled up shortly after and it looked EXACTLY like the picture we had seen online. Not only is the building itself picturesque, but the view from the balconies where you sit is also beautiful. They offer a few different tastings, but we chose the "Sparkling Wine Sampler" since they are related to Taittinger and got the smoked salmon to share. The salmon was very good (served with some delicious crème fraîche), but I would've preferred them to be served with french bread since the crackers were extremely bland. I thoroughly enjoyed the wine since this was the kind of tasting where they explain the wines to you as they pour it and then leave you be (they also leave a chart that explains the different wines). The 4 wines we sampled weren't astonishingly different, but they were all lovely and refreshing. I would certainly pick up a bottle or two of one of their wine if I were going to a dinner party or having friends over.

There are a couple of ways to experience Domaine Carneros, a producer primarily known for sparkling wines. You can book a tasting on the terrace which has a lovely view and offers cheese pairings and charcuterie with lots of wine flight choices. We chose the Tour which also included tastings of 4 sparkling varieties and one Pinot. The tasting portions were generous and our guide Jana was amazing but we were a little disappointed that we didn’t see more of the actual production facility. Also, our tasting was primarily indoors which while ok, doesn’t really compare to the terrace. If we had it to do over again we’d probably just offer to buy Jana a drink on the terrace since she was the best part of the tour.

Visited 8/17. There is absolutely no value in visiting this winery. I'm actually upset that I wasted my money visiting. The grounds are pleasant. Sparkling wines were all terrible. And the Charcuterie was lacking. All and all for the two if us for 2 wine flights and Charcuterie was almost $250 basically to have the privilege of "dining" al fresca here. What a waste. Visited 6 other wineries this visit all were exceptional.Take a lesson from me... skip this one. Go someplace that had good wine and offers a better value like one where your tasting purchase is applied to your wine purchase.

This place was great. They were packed and we didn’t think to make a reservation , still fit us in on Labor Day. The views , the wine , the cheese trays and charcuterie. 👍👍👍

This was one of our go to favourites and usually our first calling point of the day. What better way to start the day than with a glass of bubbly and small plates of smoked salmon and a lovely view of the Carneros region of Sonoma/Napa. The Famous Gate Pinor Noir is worth trying especially if you can get a few years of age on it.

I guess because I've been to Reims the wine doesn't stand out to me. However, if you like sparkling wine (not Champagne) and you want a fantastic view from a virtual castle while drinking it... this is your place. This was the second stop on our tour, and I suppose that coming from a personal, family vineyard to this very "Disneyland-esque" system of tastings was a bit of a change. Also, they double charged us and it took quite a long time to correct... which could have been other vineyards on our tour for the hour it took to correct!

This place could not have been more perfect as a farewell tasting in Napa. It was so French, so beautiful, and so delicious!! Jean Claude helped us navigate our tasting, and we had an additional glass of our favorite at the end. I might need to join this wine club! Hmmmmmm..........

This place is a must visit if you enjoy bubbles. The place is an outstanding building and furnished with classic elegance. Best if you ignore the stuffy staff who at times act as if they are doing you a favor to serve you. Not all are snooty, hopefully you will get a good one. The selections can be a bit pricey, but hey, you are in Napa wine country and what is money for but to spend? Grab a terrace table and enjoy the wine and view. Do not be tempted to purchase a bottle of their La Reve sparkling for $100. Put that $100 to a bottle of Dom Perignon or two bottles of Veuve Clicquot. A far better spend. Enjoy your bubbles and view.

Upon arrival we queried could we make a reservation and we were told we could in 1 hour which was fine as it was a last minute trip and we knew this would be the case. From the start the staff were rude and stand off ish. We asked was there anywhere we could get food while we waited to which the response was “no, we are a winery not a restaurant. If you want burger or sandwiches go down the road”.
Obviously it’s a winery, and you have food on your menu so it was not a stupid question to ask. The assumption of burgers was also very startling.
We looked around the grounds, which are lovely, and then it came time for our reservation. We sat at a table ourselves as the text still didn’t come through (hasn’t to this day) and we were told we had already checked in when we went to the desk. Nobody came near us until a lovely server Angel helped us get attention to get menus and place an order. He was the only kind and helpful employee.
The wines and food were nice and so was the setting. We enjoyed our own company, but a major let down comes from the staff who on the whole are rude, dismissive and look like they would rather be anywhere else but there.
Would not recommend or return.

Service was excellent! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Scenery was phenomenal! I think I took 100 photos here, literally.
Location was perfect! We were staying in Sonoma and it was a 20 minute ride.
This winery does a great job of standing out in a crowd. With so many tasting rooms, vineyards, etc. in such close proximity, it's lovely to visit a place who have set themselves apart from the rest.

We did the sparkling flight tasting with caviar and charcuterie. Beautiful winery with top notch views. However, for 425, I would expect our server to be more attentive and give us more history of the winery and the wines.

Absolutely wonderful tasting. Winery is beautiful, wines are excellent, tasting experience is enjoyable, charcuterie board was yummy. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary and tasting was perfect in every way. I enjoyed the champagnes and husband loved the Pinot noirs. A do not miss winery in Napa.
Gorgeous Estate
The estate is gorgeous, couldn't stop taking pics perfect view outside dining area. Didn't a have a wine flight just a glass of Pinot which was OK, good cheese plate though.
