Spend a few hours touring Key West by walking Duval. So much to see it’s worth it. Historic sights, restaurants, shops. Everything you need.

Lots of great restaurants and bars with live entertainment.
Be sure to stop by Sloppy Joe's. The Train Tour is awesome journey around town

To get the feel of Key West all you need to do is walk down Duval Street. Shops, restaurants, shows and live music is everywhere. It's definitely a thrill for the senses.

This place reminded me of Bourbon Street, New Orleans, just not as loud.
There are plenty of bars and shops to visit, easy to walk around and we felt very safe there.
Worth going to while you stay in West Key.

crowds, lots of food options and shopping, you will find everything you wanted and then some here. Loved the guy who scares you from behind the corn stalks!

I really enjoyed our time shopping and chatting with the store employees, and they were very helpful. Our hotel was really close right in the middle of all the shops.

Fantastic Area to Shop, Dine & Enjoy Key West's most Famous location! So much to do & so little time! Hundreds of stores to indulge your every desire. Plenty of options to delight your palette. Summers are extremely HOT so bring a hat & sunscreen if you feel you need it. GetSome!!

Going there at night means seeing a lot of people vomitting and walking in lines - cannot understand the "fun" in that

Many visits to KW, but this was our first time doing the Christmas Parade with our Mazda Miata group. They say there are about 23,000 peeps living in KW, but I swear there were more than that watching our decorated Miatas cruise down Truman and Duval Streets. What an absolute hoot to be thanked and welcomed by thousands of Key Westers. Go Conchs!

Main street of Key west where you can breathe typical air of the far west, with all the wooden buildings. Full of clubs, restaurants and shops with gadgets.

There are a bunch of different shops, restaurants, bars, smokeshops, and all kinds of other things up and down this street! Great place to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere!

We stayed one block over from Duval Street so we visited Duval Street every day for the week we were in Key West. There is always something going on, at least some music to enjoy. The street is full of great places to eat and we had some fantastic meals and key lime pie that was to die for. Duval Street really feels like the heart of Key West.

This time we were in Key West at the Chrismas Holiday Parade which was paraded through Duval Street. For us personally an absolute highlight.
Here you can see a variety of colorfully decorated wagons, a lot of disguised participants including animals.
Everyone gets the Christmas spirit here.
Merry Christmas!!!!

You can't visit Key West without experiencing Duval Street at night. Great for people watching, there is such a range of people there. We walked a mile and back on Duval numerous times during our week stay. We were not bar crawlers, though, so went to restaurants or shops we really wanted to during the day. Felt safe, but watch out for bicycles and people who just stop on the sidewalk without thinking about people right behind them.

Such a great area for nightlife! There were so many places we wanted to visit but ran out of time. Some of the best Margaritas!

It was very cool to see and browse. That said a cruise ship was in port which made everything crazy busy. Our suggestion is to look at the port schedule and go on a day where there isn’t a cruise ship in port.
We rented golf carts which was nice given the heat. Parking was difficult to find.
Parking is insanely priced. $42 for 4 hours at a city meter.

THis is what a part of Key West is all about. The shops and restaurants gives the street the high energy it thrives on. Need to make it a must when here.

It's fun to walk down Duval Street...and a must see. Loved the good restaurants....but very crowded and very noisy.

Lot's of stores and restaurants to visit on Duval St. Could get quite crowded. Plenty of souveneer shops, bars & restaurants.

Fun and entertaining street with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some of the best people watching I have seen in ages.

I really enjoyed shopping up and down Duval Street. The prices of the T-shirts and caps and magnetic souvenirs were nicely priced.

The main drag of the city. It has so many bars and some crazy people, but it's definitely worth a visit. Many stores also.

Over rated, over priced, insane car parking fees. Took a drive thru and turned around to find another cleaner, more laid back place to stay

This is definitely a must visit and walk through.AreaI got to see hemingway's house so much street.Art so many fantastic people and food

Such a busy street, full of street vendors, shops of every kind, restaurants, bars, and many interesting characters. Loved it!

Without a doubt, Duval is the main street for bars, restaurants, and shops in Key West, but there's a lot off the beaten path, too. If you only have a few hours or a day or so, this would be the street on which to focus. You'll find some super restaurants and holes-in the wall places, interesting shops with shipwreck treasures and beautiful art, and some killer bands and truly bad-ass bars. There are they obligatory tourist shops with Key West tee shirts and coffee mugs, but the street and town has mainly kept true to its roots. Take a stroll. Enjoy.

Great shops and casual restaurants and open air bars. Key West is one of those rare places you can take your adult beverage with you. Many establishments with live entertainment. Find a bar that you can leave your mark (dollar bill) on the wall. Many colorful roosters and hens with chicks.

Things get pretty wild on Duval Street but they are equally calm during the day. So many sites to see, shopping, food and never ending places to grab an over priced drink.
There is something for everyone on Duval so be sure to walk the entire street from marina area to southern beach

Duval Street is where it happens in Key West. Yes, its a tourist trap - but its fun - with plenty of options to eat, drink, and shop. I particularly enjoy the plethora of places to listen to live music and how welcoming it is of the LGBTQ community, with a number of gay options. I wouldn't spend all my time on the island here, but its worth some fun nights.

If your in need of an adult beverage, you found the right street. Tons of bars, food, music. A much cleaner “Bourbon st”

I used to love Key West for its all-inclusive crazy. I got a very different feel this time. (Maybe it is the general political climate in Florida now, but I can say I did not get this same feeling in Miami.) Overwhelmed by t shirts shops that were overwhelmingly pro-Trump. Might see a tongue in cheek reference to gay culture here and there, but overwhelmed by one shop after the next the had the same negative merchandise. I could see how it would be funny if there were shirts about both parties (because, let's be frank, there is a lot of material for both) but I was left with a feeling that I did not belong here. If you are looking for a place that can laugh at itself, this is not it anymore. Key West used to exude the feeling there was a place for everyone here. It has changed.

Music, restaurants, shops, drinks and people watching. Duval Street has it all! If one doesn't stop, which is impossible, the entire length of Duval Street can be covered in 30 minutes or so.

Flew in for a long weekend. Stayed and played on Duval Street for the convenience. Surprisingly clean for such a busy area. The famous rooster are everywhere and quite charming. Not so much at 5:30 am, but it's their home, not mine :) Definitely plan to return.

Bustling and busy - many restaurants and shops. Great to walk around day or night. Shockingly easy to find paid parking on side streets. It felt safe and was fun to walk around.

Duval Street is where you can find most of the shops, bars, and restaurants. Nice for a stroll into town while grabbing a bite and enjoying the scene

The major artery is home to all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants. There’s a 50/50 mix of classy and trashy. Not a place for families with young children (who can read), but entertaining for adult group trips. Check out the live Duval cam and wave to it when you leave Sloppy Joes.

The cutie part of town with t-shirts, fudge, ice cream, and key lime whatever’s. Not a big fan of these kinds of places but you have to see it especially at night to get the festival experience.

Practically NOLA by the ocean. Lots of place to drink, bars with "girls", restaurants and artists. My sister's kids are at the age where they get curious about sex and I would tell her not to take her kids here.
Also, lots of the souvenirs are really politically oriented with lots of T-shirts really favoring one side of the parties and trashing the other side. Americans like to joke but these jokes can get very offensive. The language used is not suitable for people who are developing to be more mature.

I wish I had as great of a time as everyone else, but I found the long line of tourist shops and tourist restaurants, very boring.
A lot like any other tourist area in many places around the US.

Busy street full of shops restaurants bars & clubs.
A great spot to wander around if you enjoy this type of atmosphere.
Was busy through the day as well as night.
A fun spot to check out

Went to Duval street the week before Halloween and the strip was jumping with energy. People were dressed up for a festive celebration of Halloween.
Bars were full of party people eating drinking and enjoying great music bands. If you’ve never gone to Duval street on Halloween you haven’t experience Halloween.

Lots of shops for souvenirs of all prices, plenty of choices for places to eat for any palate. Art galleries featuring up and coming artists. We loved Caroline’s cafe, and Cuban coffee queen in Key Lime Square, just one block off Duval.

Duval has great shopping and fun bars and great restaurants. If you go during the off season all the shops are having great sales. Shoppers paradise. Not much parking on the street so it's better to walk. Definitely a must to visit for Key West

You can find everything and see everything .At night it got a little wild. Drunks in full force. It was fun to watch .

Fabulous place to relax and unwind. I enjoyed snorkeling, parasailing, riding scooter, the beach, drag shows, and restaurants

The best prices for beachwear! beautiful sun dresses and cover-ups. Key West tees practically free, everywhere on Duval Street. Had to check my luggage in since we bought so many gifts back for friends/family. Can't find these prices anywhere! After shopping, many yummy restaurants and ice cream or smoothie shops to choose from. Shopping and foods were available late into the night!

We were walking along Duval Street in early September and we enjoyed it so much. There are a lot of shops, restaurants and art galleries everywhere you go.
This was a really good experience to see such a beautiful main street of America.

Duval Street was vibrant and offered shopping, food, drink and just about anything you'd want on a vacation visit. Parking was difficult, glad we decided to stay close by. All in all the locals were very friendly. Bring your walking shoes for sure. Lots of people on mopeds and rented golf cart type vehicles which are available for rent.

This reminded me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It was just sort of gross. I’m sure it’s fine for folks in their late teens or 20s. Drinking, partying, souvenir shops, overpriced mediocre restaurants, etc. Five minutes was enough for my family and after that we avoided it. Oh and the traffic is really bad, so if you are trying to drive or bike, take an alternate route.

We came up to Key West shortly after New Year’s purely to bar hop Duval Street. We started at the south end by the beach and worked our way up. It’s something that really has to be seen to be believed. No place is the same. Unfortunately some of the gay bars have sections that don’t allow women and I was travelling with two men so I spent more time sitting alone than I would have liked.

If you have a major desire to be in key west, then most things lead to Duval Street. If I’m honest it’s a tourist rip off if your not careful. Drinks are expensive and memorabilia is extortionate, $45 a hat $45 a tee shirt, just crazy prices. The gift shop at the end of US 1 on whitehead street was very good, $12.99 a t shirt, more realistic than duval street. The key lime pie was over priced and if I’m honest pretty average, but the lobster rolls were very good, although expensive they were worth the visit alone.

This is the place to see and be seen! It the great outdoor promenade with lots of restaurants, T shirt shops, and fashionable people; most of them anyway.

Headline say's it all.
Duvall is packed with people and live music what feels like all over the place. It's fun all the time.

Weed shop after weed shop with gross tee shirt stores, strip clubs mixed in with normal nice restaurants and coffee shops. Never coming back

you need to have plenty time to walk around it and be patient ,specially if you are with kids, and look for the traffic very heavy

Fun by day and even more fun at night. That just the walk, so many things to see and do. From shopping, food and drink, you can just keep going and going.

So much to see and do. We rented a golf cart so we could get around the island and was able to see so much more than we would, had we been walking.

Duval Street in Key West is home to a vibrant and lively collection of bars, historic buildings, exotic shops, art galleries, and cafes. The street is a relatively short walk from the cruise terminal and is well worth the effort to get there.

This is the place to be no matter what the time of day (after 8:00am anyway). Plenty to do and see especially after dark. No visit to Key West is complete with spending time here.

We stayed half a block off Duval. Walked up and down it every day. We enjoyed the shops, the food, the drinks, and the different people….. and chickens. We have about 50 chickens on our farm so they were fun to see running the streets. We came for our son’s wedding and left with great memories. It wasn’t very crowded so the walking was nice.

You have to visit Duval St while in the keys. Plenty of restaurants or bar/grills and shops. Very busy so make sure you have plenty of time

Busy street, especially in the evening and night. Lots of stores, souvenir shops and bars are hopping. Live music playing in many open air bars.

Duval Street is where all of the action is if you are looking for restaurants, bars, shops, and more. Parking is tricky, but there are several public lots (but they fill up quickly.)

There's something on this street for everyone to enjoy. Bars, tourist attraction and restaurants galore! A must do if in Key West!

Very unusual and unique. Mini statuettes of you, your family etc. It is so detailed it scribed my cell phone in my back pocket and my shoe laces. Awsum keep sake. Duval has many many unique shops this is a must.

Duval is probably the busiest street in Key West. Its lined with restaurants, bars, and shops. There are some interesting shops and some really funny t-shirts.

If you enjoy people watching Duval Street has much to offer. We visited several nice shops and great restaurants during our 4 day stay in Key West.

It was our 1st and last visit. The street is fill commercial stores (tshirsts and other souvnirs for tourists), too expensive restaurants for the quality of the food and bars serving drinks all day util 4pm.
We had benedict eggs in a restaurant called Bagatelle for $50 US (include coffee).

What can i say but Duval St is Key West. Of course the " duval crawl" gets its name from all the bars along the street but there is much more with all the stores and excellent restaurants. Make this part of your trip.

So much culture and nightlife! Lots of shops - dive bars - fun bars and restaurants. The people watching is top tier! I recommend going on foot- scooter or golf cart.. it gets so busy!

Lots to see, reminded me of New Orleans a bit, visited during daytime, lots of walking, great bars and restaurants.

We enjoyed lunch at Sloppy Joes & dinner at Bagatelles. The people watching is prime time! The roosters add charm & character. One continuously came into the restaurant strutting his stuff. Duval Street adds energy & character to this island town. It feels safe & is clean. We left after sunrise though b/c the party scene is not our thing.

Key west is the best. All the shops, restaurants and bars. The city is clean and friendly. I have never seen a problem here . We walk around from morning until night. plenty to see and do, or do nothing!

Action packed street with restaurants, hotels, shops, and tons of activity and action It’s the Main Street of Key West

Lots of dining and live music. Duval is Key West's version of Broadway in Nashville or Bealle Street in Memphis.

Everywhere in Key West, we experienced excellent hospitality. From the restaurants (La Te Da; 915) to the bars (Sloppy Joe's) to the Key Lime Pie shop on Greene (toward Mallory Square) to the Southern Tides retail shop and others, we were treated with pleasant and professional courtesy. Reminds us of New Orleans in layout and joviality.

Duval St. is THE place to be in Key West. Bars, shops, and restaurants everywhere. Live music at most places. Do the " Duval crawl " !

We walked the whole street twice during our stay here. There are tons of shops and restaurants to visit and try. It gets more active the further north you go toward Mallory Square and the docks where the cruise terminal is. South toward the southernmost point, it is pretty quiet.

If you can't find what you are looking for on Duval, it doesn't exist... loved walking all the shops and restaurants.

Spent New Year’s Eve celebrating on Duval street. Super fun time with a ton of interesting people!! Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere!!! One of my favorite places in the world!!!

Duval Street has plenty of amazing restaurants and bars. Most have live music daily. There are plenty of shops. As with all tourist areas lots of gift shops. Great experience.

Very touristy spot. We enjoyed shopping in some of the shops. The streets are very cramped and crowded. Everyone should go once I suppose but we will not go again. Not really a good place to take the kids.

Duval Street is the Bourbon Street of Key West, in my opinion! However, nowhere nearly as tacky! If you walk the length of it, a little over a mile, you will go from the commercial waterfront past shops and restaurants. Jimmy Buffet’s famous Margaritaville is there, as well as the historic Sloppy Joe’s. A must in Key West!

if you walk duval and can’t find what you want to eat,to drink, to smoke, to shop or just be entertained, then there is something wrong with you (lol ) Duval Street offers so many choices …. and what’s new becomes quickly familiar.

Duval Street is fun and filled with energy! You get to see all kinds of things while walking around.

We had so much fun walking Duval Street! It had great places to eat, shop, and drink! People of all ages, dogs, cats, and roosters walking around having a great day!

Key West is just so full of surprises! One of these must be Duval Street. It is a bustling street full of cafes, bars, shops etc all wanting your dollars! Enjoy!

Well, it does break up the relative monotony of the tight streets full of small retiree / (air) B&B homes. Pure tourist trap by day and bar scene / mild Burbon Street vibe at night. Problem is the street smells and is full of some characters you may not want staring at you as you walk by. So, depending on your age and comfort level, you may want to tour by cart or car, more by day than night.

Duval Street during Fantasy Festival 2021 was busy with people.
Most people wore costumes, others dressed in body paint.
The age group varied from 20's to 80's

This is a great street to everywhere in Old Town Key West. At one end, Mallory Square and beautiful sunsets and entertainment. At the other end, the most southern point. Everything in between: shopping, dining, tourist attractions galore.

Lots of different architecture on the buildings, colors. Check out the tiny alleyways leading yet to more stores, small eating places, coffee houses - and of course - lots of shopping!

I rented a bike and spent a lot of time exploring the restaurants and the shops. The food was fantastic. I recommend walking the entire distance.

If you are looking for a tropical version of Nashville or New Orleans --and love getting drunk, this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

This street is the street everyone has to go see. I had my fill of it on this trip. So many parts of it now smells like old, stale beer and horrible yeast, I was disappointed to see so much of it dirty. The early morning hours when it was empty I was able to really see what was around, but still the smell remained. It is a great time though, just hold your nose.

Fun strip for food and shopping and a great place to go for New Years Eve. Try doing the Duval crawl. Stop at every bar and have 1 drink. Good luck, there are 86 bars on Duval.

Loads of food and drink with ample sprinkling of souvenirs.
Plenty of folks moving about but its easy yo get around.
Well worth a visit.

Great place to each drink; shop; or just people watch. Yes, it is a tourist spot but still plenty of great places that are frequented by locals as well.

From calm and cosy southernpoint to the more crowdy and active area near the harbour, you can find whatever you like!

Fun street with mix of bars, restaurants, and shopping. Lots of interesting characters if you’re into people watching. Best after dark.

This is the Borbourne Street of Key West. A lot of trashy stores but at the same token some great restaurants and stores. A great walk from one end of the island to the other.

If you're going all the way down to Key West I suppose it is normal to take a stroll down Duval Street. It's a busy, noisy, partly filthy street packed with all sorts of different types of shops, bars, restaurants, bike rentals and some historic buildings all mixed together. You also have the cool "look at me" guys cruising down the street in their souped up cars with the bass playing too loud and custom built motor bikes making a din. I didn't appreciate the tacky touristy shops openly selling their T shirts with obscene phrases, words etc. I'm not a prude but, certainly not really appropriate for families with kids. Some of the bars had live music with the musicians trying to play louder than those in the next bar. The attempts to get my son & I into the strip joints there failed. And we resisted the temptation to visit the drag shows.
But there are some nice buildings there and it's strange to see chickens pecking about on the side of the street between the street vendors trying to sell their stuff.
We went up and down the place once in the afternoon and then again in the evening when things were even more "lively". All in all, a place of many contrasts. I'm glad we saw it but didn't need to stay too long.

Nothing special, but it's something to do when not on a beach. Lots of bars, restaurants, and shops.

Much more crowded than in years past and I recommend checking cruise ship schedules and avoiding those times but It's still iconic.

There are many restaurants, bars, sweet shops and souvenir places. The best and most unique was one of Peter Lik's galleries. His photographs are star quality. On the corner of Duval and Eaton, this is not to be missed. Next door is the extension of the original Savannah Praline store. I spent a fortune on those before, so I confined myself to a modest purchase this day. Last time I pulverize one of my pounds and used the dust as ice cream topping, to make it last longer.

Duval Street clearly is the busiest of the Streets in Key West with most of the bars, shops and restaurant on it or near. Morning is good for sightseeing and then by afternoon it turns into people watching.

Duval Street was very clean and hospitable. There was no trouble while we were there. I've been to Bourbon Street in New Orleans and Duval is 1000% better. Much more clean, doesn't stink like Bourbon and people were much more friendly.

Pretty and exciting place. A total adult playground. One day isn't enough and more than two could do you in. There is so much energy it is exhausting, you are ready for bed, yet you have to be pulled away like a child. Have no expectations, see what you can, and hope a future visit is your plans. I enjoy it more each time I visit.

We experienced great food, shopping, and music while exploring Duval Street. We felt safe and it was clean. This street offers something for everyone!

I suppose if loud bars and lots of smoke with rude people are your thing, you'll love it. Key West is billed as a laid back place and Duval Street ain't that.

Lots to see and do. The food, drinks and shops make it well worth the effort. The crowds are always there but nothing too bad. The area maps are fairly accurate but the GPS on your phone can make it very easy to find any particular place you want to stop at.

We were in Key West for 4 nights and 5 days. We went to Duval Street all 5 days. It was that much fun and had that big of a variety of things to do!

We stayed right on Duval street - which means it is a little noisy after the sun goes down. It’s much easier to walk on one of the other streets.

My Honey and I stayed on Duval Street for our Valentines Day celebration. We were here Tuesday thru Friday morning so our experience did not include the weekend crowd. This was my first time in Key West so I wanted us within walking distance of all the fun spots in old Town. I haven't been to New Orleans, yet, so I can not attest to being like Bourbon Street. Duval is one of the main roads through Key West Town center, lots of souvenir stores, great restaurants and fun bars. We walked Duval every day several times and we did not find the crowds loud, obnoxious nor overwhelming. We were expecting more police presence since Key West has an open carry law and from the reviews I have read. We only saw two horse mounted officers which was cool. Most of the famous bars ( Sloppy Joe's, Irish Kevin's, Margaritaville, The Bull ) are right on Duval, while Hog's Breath, Capt. Tony's are just off Duval. We enjoyed traversing Duval and we seemed to find more interesting establishments each time we walked. Walking was easy with no solicitation or hassles like in other cities we have visited. We highly recommend checking Duval Street out during your stay in Key West.

This is a review for island swimwear of Florida only. It’s a shop on Duval street that sells shirts etc.
The shop owner is very deceitful
and rude.
Avoid at all costs.

most amazing and interesting place for people watching. Friendly people all having fun. Fantasy Fest is a unique experience for adults.

Love this place. It's built up so much in 30 years, but has kept it's charm and conch bars. I'm sure at night it is much more entertaining, we just had only days to see it

WOW!! Duval Street was so much fun. We enjoyed Lucy's. The waitress we had so super fantastic. She suggested the best drinks and the food was fabulous.

There are so many bars and shops on Duval. I recommend Margaritaville for margaritas! You can’t get into sloppie joes unless it’s lunch time, it’s just packed all night, same for Irish Kevin’s.

Duval St has a lot to offer. There’s more bars and restaurants then you could imagine. Lots of shopping and best of all lots of art galleries.

Window shopping and people watching is fun even with the ninos. After that leave the kids with abuela and hit the happy hour! Everything is walking distance. Biking around was a highlight.

SO much to see and do. Walk, don't drive. Or bicycle... Any motor vehicles, you can't stop in and check things out. You really need a good week to see everything.. Little enclaves within stores----such a cute area.

Stopped at a bar on Duval Street. MY credit card was "accidentally" exchanged for someone else's and I was forced to cancel the card. Not sure if it was an onnocent mistake or a scam

Lots of shops, all kinds. Restaurants, bed and breakfasts, drug stores, art galleries, and more. Lots to see and do on Duval Street.

My family and I visited Duval Street in Key West during our recent visit. Duval Street is the main street through Key West and is unique. It contains all kinds of restaurants and shops and bars. It is also an interesting place to people watch. Do be aware however, that it is not entirely family friendly. If you have younger children keep in mind that you can be walking past bars, strip clubs, and sex shops. My children are older teens and adults and I wasn't as worried, but I thought if they were younger I would not have walked down Duval Street with them.

Definitely needs to be on the Must See list of anyone visiting Key West. Fun shops and restaurants ranging from what you would expect to some crazy and wild stores and bars! Hidden nooks and crannies the whole street opening up to more and more places to explore!

Old town Key West. It is all on Duval Street. The Hub of Key West. You can find it all on Duval Street.

The epicenter of fun and island lifestyle had points and moments of a welcoming tourist vibe but overall we found the bar tenders, wait staff and help staff in general rude and unwelcoming. Considering the tourist industry is vital to their economy we were shocked at the attitude of the staff at most of the establishments we visited ( a fair few in the three days we were there ). There were exceptions and we will review them here on the site. A local explained that as much as they need the tourist dollars for their economy they resent the hoards of visitors who defend on their island, and so this disdain permeates their interactions with the visitors. Brusque, unfriendly and unsmiling were mostly what we encountered.
Won't be going back.

We found souvenirs, key lime pie(Kermit’s was great!), shaved ice, great views, great shopping, awesome atmosphere all the way; literally up and down from southernmost point to Mallory Square! We loved it, 2 boys 5&7yo. We had fun the whole way, paid for 4 hours and made it back with half hour for the pier.
Definitely would be a different experience w/out kids but we loved it!
Cuban coffee queen is a hidden gem not to be missed for coffee, breaky or lunch!!

love the atmosphere! and the bars and the people are amazing and so fun. Wish i had a place like this at home

Well this is a must !! Great shopping and restaurants along the way. Nice to stroll and window shop or pop into some stores

SO many different restaurants to pick from! There all amazing! There`s great steaks and amazing sports bars! Go DOGS!!

This is not a place for Children even Seniors in high school after the sunsets. Not much for a family to do once the sun sets. Have to be 21 to even get in the bars so even underage we were not able to go in and watch a singer or band because of her age. NO AC in any of the bars so dress accordingly, especially when it is hot.

This is the Main Street in town. Great shops, cool bars and laid back eclectic residents. I may move here. Run down at times but it’s Key West

Duval street is the place to go if you are new to Key West. But after dusk, the rooky drinkers and little kids in big trucks come out. What should be an enjoyable walk or biking experience gets very scary once the drunk kids start trolling Duval. It would be great if Key West would close Duval to vehicle traffic after 7pm and make it a safe walking/biking street with just the side streets open to traffic.

Have to experience Duval while in Key West! Lots of great places to eat and the live entertainment is awesome!

We hit a few bars, shops and had a real nice time. Everything is so close, we walked everywhere. Lots to see and do here.

There are some really good bars and restaurants, I would highlight 9-1-5 and Fogarty's for great food and service. However, the noise level from the street, cars, motorcycles and music from nearby bars can be unnerving.

The market street is very nice. We were here during christmas. Most of the time the street was quite crowded. One cruise ship and other quests make sure that there are more than enough visitors for narrow sidewalks.

downtown by the seaport was really nice and uptown by the Hemingways house was nice. In between there were some areas that i would probably avoid. overall lots of food and shopping along the way.

KEY WEST - Every city has that shopping and restaurant street and Duval is that street in Key West. A party (in fact, I didn't imagine such a party city) from early on. Closer to Mallory Square I found it more crowded (there was even a section closed off for shows) and where the best-known stores and popular restaurants are and closer to the “southernmost Point” I found it calmer and more pleasant. Make your choice!

We were thrilled to visit Duval Street in Key West. There are so many restaurants, pubs, live music going on, shopping, and so much more. You can walk, bike, or use your car, to peruse the area. So many things to do. From Lighthouses, to museums, to historic houses, are just some of the things to do. So many shops and vendors, you will find something for everyone.

You can find a bit of something for everyone if you venture to find it. After dark things can get a bit partyish on this popular tourist street.

This is the place to go for a drink. The bars are everywhere. The music is live and not bad sounding. Lots of places to buy cheap tourist stuff.

I would compare it to the Jersey Shore, with more winter warmth. Nice crowds, decent entertainment, & a fun vibe. I'd give it a 4.5

Lots of places to visit and eat along the street but be ready to walk in the heat and bring lots of water. When you run out of water there are plenty of places along the way to get refreshed. Despite all the crowds and music we never saw any issues at any time of the day or night. Have fun!!

We drove to Key West from Florida City and back in one day so we had little time to spend on Duval Street. However, we were impressed with the quaint, artsy street in the unique environment of Key West. A must do if you visit Key West.

My husband and I have vacationed in other coastal cities. We commented how much Duval reminded us of New Orleans while strolling down the street the first evening we were in Key West this month. Our 1st time in Key West on Duval was 2009 off a cruise ship, and it didn't prove to be quite like it is today. Sadly it's just not a night time environment for us with all the strip joints and bars. Maybe if we had been with a group of our friends we would have enjoyed it more. Not saying anything bad about Duval as a whole or during the daytime. It just isn't where older folks want to be around at nighttim..

Fun street with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shopping. Best time to visit from evening to Midnight . Without visiting Duval street your visit to Key West is incomplete. I liked the live music of The Durt Bags of Durty Harrys .

My wife and I visited KW for a few days in mid-November 2022. Duval seems to be the main area of attraction in KW. We stayed in a hotel a few blocks off Duval to have easy walking access to Duval and the surrounding attractions. I have no idea what the “vibe” used to be like here, but my perception now is that it is pretty much over-priced beach-town trinkets, bathing suits, and restaurants, not a Jimmy Buffet song coming to life. We walked the full length of Duval a couple of times in two days and saw it all during the day and at night. The day scene seemed more family-oriented and the night scene seemed mostly adult-oriented (bars, live music, loud, crowded). There are some pretty good places to eat along Duval and its worth the trip there if you’re in KW, but I would not make this the focus of the trip. You might be better off with the water activities, or at least being along the water somewhere. If you do visit, bring a lot of money or a good credit card. You’ll need it.

Interesting to say the least especially after dark. You will see sights that you won't see anywhere else. But the place is fabulous. Over 200 bars and night spots on Key West Island. We walked the entire length of Duval St, twice , from the Gulf on the North to the Southernmost Point on the Atlantic on the South only about 2.5 miles. Sloppy Joes a must and they have a webcam outside. Duval is the Bomb

Elegant, old house. Updated with everything we needed.wonderful breakfast & pool set up! Staff was exceptional, Attentive & friendly.

Duval is the main street north and south of Key West. It is host to a multitude of shops and restaurants. All the places we ate were very good and I would go back!!

No question Duval Street is the main drag in Key West. An odd combination of Las Vegas, New York and Fort Lauderdale, it is undeniably where the "action" is. There are some excellent restaurants to be found (La Grignote is one), but the predominant vibe is a party, with heavy drinking. If that's what you want, go there at night and stop in any of the crowded lively bars.
Almost all the bars seem to have live entertainment, usually a lone male singer with a guitar. It's a frat house atmosphere and if you are 21 years old, it's perfect.
For me, the most enjoyable experiences in Key West were away from Duval Street. The side roads were much quieter, more charming, and more authentic.

plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from all around. The Lobster roll (with butter - not mayo) from DJ's Clamshack was superb!!!

Reminds me a lot of New Orleans and the French Quarter. There as are so many restaurants, shops, and bars! Staying near Duvall Street is the preferred location so you can walk to the streets and not pay $30 to park. There are many homeless on the streets and roosters are everywhere.

This mile long street has so many shops and restaurants and other establishments that it's interesting just people watching and browsing. Though it is so alive at night, it also is a great place to visit in the day as well.

The most known street of Key West. A nice street full of shops, cafes running through a substantial part of Key West. Definitely worth walking.

You can find almost anything you need on Duval Street from cold beer, souveniers, historical buildings, good food, risque entertainment, to you name it. Everyone should visit once, twice if you enjoy it as much as I did.

Nice area during the day to walk around. It offers all sorts of dinning options and places to pick up trinkets and the like. However after the sun goes down it is party city. Very reminiscent of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. However I did not feel unsafe but I would not walk down this street by myself as a woman.

Nothing really against it, but nothing that unique about it. I had more fun touring the streets that were NOT Duval Street--the streets that had the old architecture and history and the unique shops and homes. On Duval Street, I just felt like I was on a college campus.

Different venues, different music styles, different foods, different people, bar after bar. We usually start at Hog's Breath and work out way south. We find a short walk down the side streets will reveal hidden gems. This trip we found a place called Smokin Tuna Saloon and they served dinner until 11:00 PM which was great because we had gotten a late start. Also had a really good hard-rocking band.

Way better than Mallory square, loads of restaurants, art galleries end different types of shops.
Take your time one to the other will be a few hours and more if you review the galleries as well.
We were staying really close by so could walk

Lots of bars with live music keep Duval street bumping day and night and plenty of good food options as well.

The busiest street and frequented by pedestrians. Many clubs and shops. So many weird people on the street. Just great to walk back here forward

Yes its a strip like Nashville, Memphis, San Antonio or New Orleans...but so much more to see and do! if you havent been to Key West, put on your walking shoes and go have some fun!

Duval is where it is at. Shopping, bars, restaurants, Key Lime Pie. Super atmosphere and something for everyone.

Pretty much the best street in the world lol it has great bars, great restaurants, great people watching.... the list goes on!

Enjoyed walking up and down Duval street and checking out all the shops selling everything from food to clothing, to Key West trinkets.

Duvall st. Was a collection of shops, bars and restaurants. Most of the items were typical tourist trap stuff but there are some local artists selling their creations. It just wasn’t my thing, but if shopping if for you, it would rate higher.
The highlight is Kaya’s island eats! I tried to give that place 6stars but Trip advisor wouldn’t let me.

Always have a great time in Key West, always going from bar to bar watching the live bands. And all the tourist

This sort of street is not really our scene but there is a reasonable mix of bars and shops - it is like a mini New Orleans Bourbon street but less rowdy - or it was when we visited during the day time.

The best tourist attraction in KeyWest where 0 point mile is here! Nice busy street to walk on with lots of good souvenir deals especially the 5 dollar tie- dye shirts I got.

A visit to Key West Requires a walking trip down Duval Street but be prepared for a larger-than-normal assortment of t-shirt shops, small restaurants, bars (lots of those), and street vendors. One trip should be enough.

Its hard to miss Duval street since it is right in the middle of everything. It is very lively during the day and well into the evening. Besides the bars and restaurants there is also a group of eclectic art stores and galleries that are quite interesting. Very few chain restaurants, which is a nice change for a tourist area.

Duval Street is Key West's main drag. It's the heart of the town, running from one end of the island to the other. The street is lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. It's a great place to shop during the day and to drink any time.

Be aware - parking is $40 a day in some lots! I was quite surprised and feel like that is very expensive.
We rented bikes from We Cycle - that was the best part! Cycling around and seeing the things that you won't see from a car! The marina is beautiful - Sloppy Joe's is a must-do! And get some coffee at the Cuban Coffee stand! It's a beautiful city - take it all in!

Fantastic restaurants and historic buildings. Would like to see different shops as the majority of them sell the exact same things, but with different prices. It’s a great street to walk around and enjoy the music and people.

Much too commercialized now and gentrified. The LGBTQ+ scene is very limited now and if you walk the street there are few gay folks seen .Mostly straight couples with strollers.
Tee Shirt Shops with disgusting political sayings posted for all to see as you stroll. As a gay couple not for us anymore

The main most famous street in Key West. Lots of famous bars. Look in, even if you don't drink. Shops and restaurants galore. Gotta see it! Very hot and sweaty in Key West in May, but loved it.

Duval street is interesting but not at the same time. The architecture of the buildings is the best part and sure there are lots of eateries and shops but some of it just feels like a tourist trap. Too many other things to enjoy. I could take it or leave it!

We always enjoy ourselves walking along Duval Street. So many interesting places, Restaurants, Bars Clothing etc. .Very clean and safe too..

My husband and I had an amazing time in Key West. Duval Street is a must when visiting. This location has so many shops, eateries, local businesses, and "bars". This is a popular street at night.

The shops and homes went all out with their decorations and festivities. It really put us in the mood for Christmas. Loved the effort and will definitely try to come back again at this time of year!

Lots of eateries and shops. Fantastic vibe at night. Sunset Pier especially good experience. No need for a car...it has a free Duval circle bus.

Bustling Main Street in nice historic center of Key West. All distances walkable by foot. Architecture mainly Barbadian/Caribbean (not Cuban) gives a lovely atmosphere. At night the towns comes alive.

A fun place to stroll and drink, shop a bit and people watch. We had a nice time here. It had a definite party atmosphere which is a little out of our league, but we had fun.

Definitely take the time to walk the entire length of this street. It is filled with historic buildings, delicious restaurants, & so many sounders shops.

This is where all of the tourists and many of the locals hang out. Key West is a tiny island and Duval is the main strip or DRAG, (Very Key West is the DRAG show,) You have to enjoy all of the fantastic places on Duval. Everyone is crazy friendly and why not? You're in paradise!

We arrived on a Monday around noon with me, my husband and two teens. Such a fun place to hang and people watch. I was in New Orleans just last week and it had a similar vibe but much more laid back, clean and family friendly. We ate lunch at Sloppy Joes and headed towards the other end to see the Southernmost Point. We walked in and out of many fun stores and you can buy drinks to walk with. It’s crowded but everywhere is on Spring Break. After we waited in line for the Iconic Southernmost point photo, we headed back to the other end of Duval for sunset at Mallory Square. Fun people watching, shopping, and all the things Key West is known for.

Duval Street is the main drag in Key West running North to South with the majority of the main bars located toward the Northern end. Great for walking or just people watching, day or night. Yes, it's like New Orleans' Bourbon Street.

Even night it is very sate and no threatening to be in Duval Street. great gallery, shops, and restaurants.

We just returned from a quick trip to Key West. I had been looking forward to visiting Duval Street as part of our stay. It’s pretty awful, unless you want to visit the same T-shirt shop at least five different times. There are at least three Funky Chicken shops, and three or four of the exact same Keylime pie store. The bars on the cruise ship end of Duval Street are just seedy and disgusting. There were a few decent street vendors, selling local artwork. Honestly, this is somewhere I hope to never visit again.

Duval Street is the vibrant heart of Key West – and for me a real highlight of the island! During the day you can stroll through the many small boutiques and art galleries, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or watch people in one of the pretty cafes.
In the evening, the street is transformed into a lively center with music, lights and good mood. The choice of bars and restaurants is huge – from quaint pubs to stylish eateries, everything is there. I particularly liked the relaxed, open atmosphere: Everyone is welcome, no one takes themselves too seriously, and Caribbean flair reigns everywhere.
Even if you are not a partygoer, you will find plenty to discover here – such as historic buildings, live music or simply the pure joy of life that this street radiates.
Conclusion: Duval Street is a must-see destination for every Key West visit – colorful, vibrant and simply typical Key West. I will definitely come back!

Lots of restaurants to choose from. If you are into the bar scene at night, this is your street. Lots of retail shops too. A fun street to walk up and down. Gets busier as the day/night goes on.

We went around 9pm and things were really gearing up. This street is like Bourbon St. in New Orleans without the flashing. Absolute blast!

We went to a few bars, had appetizers and happy hour. Had some homemade ice cream, did the general tourist thing. Take advantage of half-price appetizers there’s amazing ones to be had while you’re out and about.

September is a great time to go. Yes, some of the shops were closed, including Hemmingway Rum Co. but the crowds were way down. Walked right into Sloppy Joe's and ate a sloppy joe and sipped beer righting front of the live band stage. Dinner another night at Carolines with still enough people wanting the street to enjoy the table up front.

Duval Street offers an eclectic mix of people, where literally anything goes. Great if you want to explore your inner self or just people watch. An absolute must for all ages.

We were in Key West during the unofficial Fantasy Fest. Duval Street was insane...in a good way. Really reminded me of Bourbon Street in NOLA. You can honestly see anything, and everything, on Duval Street.

In my mind, I did not know what to expect from Duval street. But, this place is HOPPIN!!! Its where all of the action is. Its like New Orleans mixed with Savannah and Charleston. Stores are fierce and bars are even more fierce! Its the place to be and visit for sure when in Key West. We loved that the teens could enjoy much there too.

Great place for food, music and night life. Different night life compared to city night life. However, there are so many different places. Each one can find a place they like depending on their preference.

It is the shopping street par excellence and the bar area in the evening. It is not the most beautiful far from it but certainly the liveliest. A short stroll is worth it to feel the relaxed atmosphere of Keywest.

Key West had so much to do. Visiting Duval Street and taking in the sights is a must. We enjoyed our time taking in history!

Note to travelers…be sure you get over onto Duval St itself (wait til towards evening for best time) and mallory square oceanside (action on square at dusk)

A lively street that reminds us of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There are Bars, and Shops and Patios of course. Life in the Keys is different than on the Main Land. .More relaxed, people drive slower and are more courteous.
"Key West, the Key to Happiness"

Its a neat stroll through the old town, seeing the different offerings in shops and eateries. Parking is tough to find and pricey. We parked in a garage for $5 an hour near the pier, at least our car was in the shade. From there it was an easy walk to Duval to walk from one side of the island to the other. As others have said try to come in off peak times as it is a street and sidewalk system not designed for todays crowds.

Duval (apparently pronounced "Doo - Vall") was a combination of Bourbon St and Royal st from NOLA. bars, restaurants and shopping.

To immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Key West: Dival Street is a must. Certainly touristic but that is the goal of this city: to feel on holiday all year round!
Tip: try parking on the street instead of in parking lots

Park in a municipal lot and start walking! If you don't, you'll miss out on a lot of fun stuff! Great food, drinks, entertainment, and shops. Come alone, as a couple or a family. There's really something for everyone.

Duval Street has endless shops, historical sites, and restaurants to please every age. The atmosphere is one of celebration. Our guide told us that they believe in "one family" to celebrate the good in all people. Everyone was so friendly. Music fills the air as you walk past many open air pubs and eateries. Celebrate happiness on Duval. Wear comfortable shoes because you will want to walk all day so you don't miss a thing.

One end of Duval is at the ocean where the sun goes down - the other end is where the tourist stop to take a picture of the southernmost point in the USA! In between, you’ll find lots of restaurants, shops, stores and fun things to see and do!

If you have children with you, I’d be very hesitant to walk down this street. Most of the shops have very inappropriate items openly in view along with bad language and adult atmosphere. Neat to see the architecture and historic places, I’d go earlier in the day before it gets too rowdy. Gets very very crowded.

We enjoyed walking Duval and window shopping, and menu shopping until we'd find a restaurant we wanted to try.

Duval is a party street, tons of shops, galleries, restaurants and bars with live entertainment. Every place has something very unique about it. Very few people wear masks. Be prepared that it’s a conservative state with their own ideas about Covid. Go and party If you decide not to care about it either.

Wonderful street with so many stops on it. Loved that we could get to pretty much anywhere in Key West by starting on Duval. Sloppy Joe's IS A MUST stop and I don't even drink!

Duval St. is a must for visitors to Key West. It has restaurants and Bars and T-shirt shops and art galleries. Great for walking day or night. One end is the Atlantic Ocean and the other is the Gulf of Mexico. Many historical bars have good, lively music. A fun experience. It can get a little crowded in season at night, which is part of the fun.

It was fun riding our golf cart up and down the street. We were bar and restaurant hopping and we hit some souvenir stores. If that's what you are looking for you're in luck! There were other clothes and jewelry and art stores, something for everyone!

Various boutiques and souvenir shops, tattoo parlors and dozens of bars and restaurants and it's only about one mile long.

A lot of fun, bars had live music, great drinks and great service.
Recomend using uber, lift a fantastic option. Mega cheap, no duo's, and so much more relaxing.

Interesting overall. Many restaurants, some quite nice. There were some great galleries and fun shops as well. We were turned off by, and did not spend a nickel in, the large number of stores with pro-Trump paraphernalia or F-Biden garbage in the windows. I thought Key West was a little nicer than this, frankly.

If you are big into the bar scene, then this is the right place for you. Tourists flock here, but there are really so many other things to see and do in Key West that is not anywhere near Duval.

Probably the most iconic and best visited street in Key West.
You'll find anything you need, or don't:
Restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, clothing, live music and looots of people!
Always entertaining :)

SO many places to try and so many unique choices! Favs....sloppy Joes/Tiki House/Bull Whistle. The Flying Monkey drinks are awesome too.

This was my first time in Key West and although we had a great time pub crawling on and around Duval Street, I would not recommend brining children. It could also be that we visited during college spring break, but overall there were just a lot of drunk people.
During the day there is more of a family vibe and they have the Conch Train and Trolly Tours for fun.

No matter what you want to see, eat or do, it's here. Food ranges from high-end steakhouses to ice cream stands. There is a bar every 100 feet and too many retail shops to count. There are organized bar crawls if that's your thing. It's worth spending some time there.

Fantastic! Lots of walking. Husband and I walked a lot. Ran into one rude waitress at sloppy joes. But overall, it was nice.

Lots of shops and restaurants and at night pretty much anything goes! Its the heart of "Old Town" Key West

We had a great time seeing different shops, restaurants and art galleries. Beautiful. We wish that the hours were longer, but we understand this is not peak season.

Such a fun street to walk... shops of every kind, bistros, bars, all on palm tree-lined streets. Some places seem creepier than others.

Lots of same-same - and I guess being of a "certain age" the shabbiness of Duval Street didn't live up to exceptions.

Fun spot. Reminded me of New Orleans, without the fear of being a crime victim. Loaded with good restaurants, bars and entertainment.

This was a nice shopping street with narrow pavements. Plenty of shops albeit a lot of them selling similar things. Shopkeepers were friendly although we had an issue with prices in one so just be aware of this even after they’ve ring up on their till

Duval St is Key West's main street, where everything happens. It has a large extension ranging from the Sunset Pier, which is a great place to dine and see the sunset, to the Emma Carrero Cates pier that lies across Key West, near South Beach and the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservation. Enjoy to get to know Duval St. without rush, exploring every little piece, every day, according to the attraction you are going.
On the street there are several restaurants and shops, such as Harley Davidson, Hard Rock, CVS, Happy Rooster, Matthesseen's Cafe de Paris, etc. At the end, you will realize that you have been there virtually every day of your stay.
The architecture of the houses in the region is one of the characteristics of the city, which dates back to the Victorian summer of the 1800s.
I recommend!

We spent a couple days going back to Duval Street while on vacation there. Lots of stores and activities and restaurants. You won't be bored

We spent our day wondering Duval street. It was quite hot out so we would pop into an art gallery or shop to cool down. There is a nice variety of shops and galleries and places to eat.

Just stores and restaurants. Certainly it's something to do, but it's not particularly a destination in and of itself. Of course, some of the restaurants were excellent and worth going to.

I was dumb and apparently didn't know this is like the Bourbon Street of Key West. Live music EVERYWHERE but not necessarily the most family friendly place. Our 11 year old saw LOTS of skin and heard lots of language and the booze is flowing. That said, we still had a blast wandering and shopping and eating.

we always make our way up and down this path. many shops restaurants and places to see and places to dine.

The spot....for restaurants, shops and people watching. You can easily spend hrs on Duval Street walking down one side and up the other. Note that it does get crowded and busy. Best time to go is early but keep in mind nothing opens till like 9 or 10. No bathrooms either fyi. I am an early bird and was disappointed nothing was open and no one would let me use their bathroom. So be prepared! Enjoy!

Fun Fun Fun .... Lots of great restaurants, bars and shopping. Make sure to stop by all the bars for local music acts.

If you are planning your fist visit to Key West, a visit to Duval Street is a must. My wife and I recently visited the area and we spent a few days walking the street along and around Duval Street. Lots and lots of walking but there are plenty of places to visit including eating and drinking locations.
Yes prices are higher but this is a tourist area so
Prices will be higher so expect it. Take your time and pace yourself. You can do the general tourist areas in one day with proper planning and a day to commit leaving you time to visiting t other areas. The line for the Southern Most point (at the southern end of Duval street) was long but we were through it in about 15min,
Don’t miss your chance for some unique shopping and good eats along Duval Street.

Lots of tourist streets are no more than bad food and rip-offs. This street is actually nice, good food, things to see.

Had a great time.
Hemmingway's house was full of history and 6 toed cats.
The chickens all over walking around was cool. So much fun!

This is very long street, lots of people and stores. Great restaurants. The ones I would recommend are Boathouse, Conch Republic, Sloppy Joes, Sushi Bar. Those are just a few.

It was fun to drive down Duval Street but keep in mind on-street parking is an issue. Otherwise, you pay $30 to park with no in & out! Lots of bars, restaurants and shops to choose from.

Plenty of things to do from one end of the street to the other. It's the center of action on Key West.

Loved Duval Street. Busy hub of Key West and huge choice of restaurants, bars with entertainment and souvenir shopping . Recommend getting accommodation in walking distance.

Nice street with restaurants not big, not long, you can have a nice walk but it is not really interesting, very touristy.

The street is filled with all types of fun and entertainment . People are very friendly. Would highly recommend

central Street of Key West.Where you can feel the life and happy people together.Definitely worth it to go to KW just to see night on Duval St.

Yes, it is one mile of tourists strolling both sides of the street looking at all kinds of shops, cafes, bars, etc. - But - if visiting Key West you have to be able to tell your friends you went to Duval Street.

Duval Street has changed since the last time we visited. While we really enjoyed the Hemingway House and the Southernmost Point fun, Duval Street was overcrowded, dirty and not as much fun as a previous visit.

Shops, deserts, bars, restaurants, boutique hotels on the 1.1 mile that stretches between the southernmost time and the north side of the Key. We spent 2 days and barely left that street.

When visiting Key West, definitely reserve half a day to walk up and down Duval street. It's over a mile long with tons of shops and eateries. We parked in the lot next to the Butterfly House. It's $5/hr. to park in most lots. We walked down one side of the street stopping to shop long the way. At some point, the 85 degree heat got the best of us. At that point we trekked back to the car walking down the other side of the street, again stopping at interesting shops along the way.
We stopped at many places including:
- Margaritaville - it's the original
- Hard Rock Cafe
- Sloppy Joe's - Hemingway's spot
- Flamingo - best ice cream but they take only cash
- DJ's Clam Shack - the lobster roll is the best and worth all the hype
We drove down Duval street at night too and it looked so pretty with all the stringed lights on all the shops and restaurants.
Duval Street is definitely worth a visit. I only gave it 4 stars vs. 5 due to cràzy cost of parking.

First time in Key West and it was great. Had to check out Duval Street and what a wild time. Went ffor 2 nights and got a nice back rub.

If you like bars, drinking until all hours, cheap tourist gift shops and noise, this is the place for you!

I guess these Duval Street t shirt shops just want to make a buck off the 'cruisers', but their owners should know that the plethora of 'Let's Go Brandon' and similar vulgar right-wing meme t-shirts are turning a lot of visitors off. We came to enjoy the architecture, atmosphere, music and history of the island, not be reminded of the extremist, divisive and ugly rhetoric of those who support that guy who lost in 2020.

Lots of fun to walk down the street. Lots happening and plenty of shops and restaurants. The street is starting to become a little rundown. A street sweeper in the early hours of the morning would help a lot. More and more vacant storefronts but I'm sure that's a function of the COVID hysteria and places being forced to close down.

Tons of shops, bars and scenery, never the same experience twice!!! Great deals on souvenirs if you look close enough!!!

Duval street has many restaurants and bars with live music. If you go before noon you may find paid parking on the side streets. Otherwise take your bike or rent a golf cart to get around. It’s busy all day long, all year round. A must experience!

Something for everyone here. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping for everything. Just remember, what happens on Duval, stays on Duval, lol

Key west was amazing spent 2 night 3 days. Always stuff to do for all ages. Love that everything is within walking distance if you choose to do or you can bike which they are many rentals or you can get a scooter or drive (from what I see parking might be tricky) or u can do the counch train tour around.

Well Duval st. Is where it happens. That's the main Tourist Attraction in Key west. BUT where as in most other countries the shops and bars are OWNED or Run by FAMILIES here the owners hire employees: Bartenders, Servers and all sorts of Other manual labor. I could really get into the Hierarchy of the labor system here, how the Haitians, Russians, Czechs, Israelis, Argentinians, and Cubans are "Employed" but that would take too long. What we observed is that in 90% of the businesses the Empolyees offered sub par quality service and had this "Oh man this sucks" look or "Woe is me." No pride in appearance, no concern or pride about the business. If you made an observation, they didn't care they'd just give a lethargic "Zombie" look or "hey, I just work here" look, or "that's above my pay grade."
Where as in the past KW was pretty much Apolitical, now it's not, It has been touched by the heavy hand of politics and Covid has made KW show it's true colors.
We've been coming here over 10 yrs now, so there is a lot to say about the changes. Long gone are the days of Captain Tony. But I wanna keep it short. Happy travels.

This is something everyone needs to do in Key West. Many bars and restaurants along the way that may pull you in!

I never really walked the entire length of Duval before but this trip we did and have to say it is something, if your in Key West I would say its a must do just to see all that Duval is and offers

Love this street, it has everything, great restaurants, unique retail outlets, great bars, it oozes character. Day or night it’s the place to be.

In the evening, the street is full of old drunk people who are barely able to walk straight. In the evening, the street is also extremely crowded and plain trashy. Early in the morning, the street reeks of beer. There is no comparison.

We took a stroll down this street several times on our trip. It is a must see if you are in the area. It has neat shopping areas and several bars.

I call it the Bourbon Street of Key West. Not a fan of the crowds. A lot of souvenir stores too I tried to avoid it at all cost.

What can I say about Duval street accept go there! What a fun place and such interesting people! You will definitely have your pick of outstanding places to eat or get a drink!

Great place to eat, drink, shop local boutiques , listen to live music , and of course people watch. Visited during night time hours.

Had a great time with my bride to be and our sisters! 2 Brides are Better Than 1! People were so kind and supportive! Such a great place for us to celebrate our wedding! Christmas time and the bicycle parades were awesome!!

Duval street is the main drag in Key Wet for bars and restaurants. It is like any other main party road that you have been to in any other major city. It can be fun depending on what you are looking to get out of it. You should certainly walk down and try out some of the spots, we had fun at some of the bars and restaurants. I would recommend that you don't buy much merchandise on the street, it is your standard tourist like shops (for the most part). The road has a different feel during the day and night, so give it a bit of love at both times.

This street is ALWAYS fun! There is something for everyone! Music, food, shops, history, live music, you name it, it's there. It's fun during the day, but at night is when it really shines! Go check it out!

We were there with family through Memorial Day weekend, and found it rather dirty, smelly, crowded and loud, every evening. I don't know if this is what it's like on non-holiday weekends, but nonetheless pretty much all of the restaurant food seemed over-priced. The food was better at some places than others, but nothing to write home about, other than perhaps Sloppy Joe's famous sloppy joe creations. It was kind of cool to eat at Two Friends restaurant with the chickens and doves though, and the seafood was prepared well there. Wish we could have said that about some of the other places supposedly specializing in seafood along Duval. The live music was ok, but not what we expected at most places-mostly Southern rock, and not particularly relaxing, nor professional. We heard, "Take Me Home, Country Road" too many times to list, which we found odd, as it's about West Virginia, not Key West. There were several drag venues, and some of the performers regularly stood outside beckoning people in, which was concerning, especially as there were so many underage kids around. There was nothing unique about the boutiques. They all pretty much sold the same cheaply made clothes and souvenirs. And we passed multiple CVS and CBD stores in between the shops and restaurants that added nothing good to the ambiance. Just very crass. The seaside area was a bit better; but it's a rather long, hot, annoying walk from the other side of the island. Especially not recommended for kids.

duval street is so fun and has something for everyone. Loved all the live music! Performers were friendly, bar/restaurant staff friendly

Duval Street has great shopping, lots of restaurants and always filled with energy. Best way to experience is by walk. If you can rent a scooter, do so. Parking is limited and you have pay for public parking. I would recommend experiencing the streets in the evenings. Must see when you are in Key West!

If you’re drunk, loud & obnoxious then step right up! I find it hard to say anything good about Duval when Key West has sooooo much else to offer. I do like DJ’s Clam Shack but that’s about it.
Get off of Duval for a block or more and enjoy the city. Cruise ships dump people off here and drunks are abundant. If you choose Duval then pay more for what you get and expect less.

Tourist trap area with many shops and resturants. If you like that sort of thing it's great area. Plenty of places to eat, pick up trikets and bars.

When you are in New Orleans, you go to Bourbon Street. When you are in St. Augustine, you go to St. George Street. And when you are in Key West, you go to Duval Street. We rented bikes for the day, and rode on parts of this famous stretch. We did a little shopping, and had lunch at Sloppy Joe’s. You could make a whole day of walking up and down the whole thing, but we kept it simple and moved on.

Loved Duvall Street! Plenty to do, tons of places to eat, best people watching! Wasn't to terribly crowded Thanksgiving week. Would go again during this time. Weather was perfect!

Loved Duval, has nice shops and lots of restaurants and bars. Very friendly! We felt safe there! It's a place you must visit when in Key Wst.

Very nice street with lots to do with beautiful popular attractions. Highly recommend just walking around and taking a few pictures.

Duvall Street is the place to go in Key West for partying and people watching. Everyone was fun and friendly but not out of control or obnoxious. Cleaner and better kept than Bourbon Street this is my new favorite place to party.

Plenty of something for everyone. Cafes. bars, restaurants, shops and antiques. The well known Hogs Breath, Green Parrot and Sloppy Joes to name a few. The music is always playing. The further up you go it gets very quaint and pretty.

Wasn’t what I expected and sad to say I won’t be returning. Key West has more to offer than this Street.

Started the day early and went late into the night enjoying many bars and frozen drinks. Lots of good cigar shops along the way also.

Live music all over! Very loud and fun. If you stay on Duval or near don't plan early nights! The roosters will crow often and everywhere, just bring some earplugs for 5AM;). Sometimes you just gotta roll with it. Great chill vibe, friendly, Good food, bars, and pubs, Enjoyed Irish Kevin's twice. The entertainers really appreciate tips;) so step up!

Food, drink, fun, shopping, and more fun with family and friends can be found on Duval which we found to be much cleaner than Bourbon Street in Louisiana. Of course, there is a different feel as the culture and place are different but there are also many similarities. We felt very safe when we walked Duval morning or night.

Great walking along Duval, popping into the various establishments with music, meeting friendly people, and just enjoying the signts.

We visited Key West during Lobster Fest and Duval Street was filled with temporary stands selling Lobster. The atmosphere was great with many enjoying lobster dinner. This took place in mid-August.

If you're looking for a frat party atmosphere, this is it. If not stick to the side streets in the afternoons and evenings and stroll Duvall in the am. Lots of good shops but wild & noisy and crowded with unmasked visitors.

There are two Duval Street experiences. A daytime one and a nighttime one. It's like throwing a switch when the sun goes down. Both need to be taken in and savored. Daytime, we went to museums. and at night ate dinner and wandered from one group to another as they blended from into another. Did I say, "Party On?" You bet!

Duval is safe , great police presence. Comfortable shoes are required no fashion show here
A lot to do and see

Nice shops, restaurants and cafes. Good place to walk around and buy shirt’s or other gifts. You can also see many roosters walking the streets, a nice local entertainment/ culture.

We recently visited Key West and visited Key West several times during our visit. Two times we drove in from our hotel and parked at the garage on Grinnell Street and one time we walked from one end of Duval Street to the other. We stayed at Casa Marina and walked over to the Southernmost Point area, then we started walking up Duval Street. We were surprised at the number of great shops right from the start. I expected the number of restaurants and shops to be better once we got to the "Old Town" section, however there were some great shops and places to get something to eat the entire length of Duval Street. Of course, most of the shopping and bars are at the end by the cruise ship pier, however if you have time, get out for a walk for the whole length of Duval Street.

This street really has got everything. Tons of bars and restaurants and shops. You'll find something you like no problem.

Duval Street is full of restaurants and bars. Most restaurants have their menus posted at entrance..

The beach was great, very clear water, perfect waves, no jellyfish. Big crowd over Memorial Day Weekend, but everyone was polite, friendly and having a wonderful time. After the crowds left we had more fun for a week. Super place.
Fun place
Just walk up and down and enjoy the night life and fun places to eat and drink. We sat at a few sidewalk cafes and enjoyed the view.
