Go you won't be disappointed 😀

By Kim W |

Entire experience was fantastic, starting with Cindy at the gate. Took the house tour Molly was so good, wasn't packed so she took a few photos for us! Ate lunch at the Dugout good and quick!

Exactly the scene from the movie!

By Lynette51 |

Unless you purchase a tour, you will only have a store to browse thru to buy souvenirs and there is the playing field where you can watch people play. There is also a small area to purchase snacks.

No, it’s Iowa.

The view was so beautiful. I took my other half there for his birthday present. Baseball is his absolute favorite sport. We loved the immediate feeling of calmness. The upkeep is astounding. The whole community is blessed. That place is a true soul enriching retreat.

Meh...a bit of a tourist trap

By phvi2617 |

I'm a big fan of baseball and a moderate fan of "Field of Dreams." I thought there would be more to this place, but in reality, it's just the field, the house, a snack bar, and an overpriced gift shop--in other words, it's a bit of a tourist trap.

Since it's a nonprofit, I understand the suggested donation of $20 per car, but it's probably only worth visiting if you're there for a baseball tournament or if you're a hardcore fan of the movie. If you're more of a casual fan, it's not really worth it.

Field of Dreams movie site

By Deb P |

Field of Dreams movie site:

We have always enjoyed coming here. They have remodeled the outbuildings - made one into a restaurant. They builtan event center, and a gift shop. There is also a snack shop.

The house is now open for tours. We really liked seeing the inside and hearing movie trivia.

I’m pleased to say that the charm of the site is still there. They haven’t commercialized it.

It’s all about families going onto the field and playing a game of catch. Or walking into the cornfield.

It is a sweet slice of rural Iowa.

Just a suggestion - do not! miss the museum in downtown Dyersville. It is very well done, and has a great selection of tshirts in the gift shop ( different than the ones at the movie site). It is called “If You Build It” - lots of trivia and pictures. Even a porch swing to sit on!

movie site

By Don H |

Had seen the movie, so we were near and went to the movie site. It's been commercialized with a snack bar, a store, and a restaurant, but the field is there and so is the house. You can go into the corn field, run the bases, sit in the bleachers. There's a box with gloves (both left and right-handed), bats, and balls. It ain't heaven, but it's very, very nice.

A Dream Come True

By Pam T |

Our trip was a birthday gift from me to my husband. His favorite movie of all time is Field of Dreams and this was a Bucket List item for him. When I found out you could actually stay overnight in the house, I had to book it. Molly met us when we arrived around 4:30pm, and after a tour, we had the place to ourselves! Totally awesome. Some folks were still visiting the field before it closed at 6pm, so we decided to watch the movie before having our charcuterie and wine picnic in the outfield. (Somewhat of a reenactment of the movie scene.) The sun was starting to go down and it was perfect - beautiful weather. We reenacted a few other scenes - Terrence Mann (James Earl Jones) giggling before easing his way into the corn, Annie (Amy Madigan) turning on the lights, "the voice," etc. We had a blast! We also ran the bases, took some batting practice, and "had a catch." Around 10:30 pm we turned on the field lights and took it all in. We slept like babies and woke up early to see the sun rise over the house and took another thousand pictures - LOL. We highly recommend this experience!

Learning the history of the property and the making of the movie was very interesting.

By Ted P |

Our tour guide, Craig, was welcoming, friendly, very knowledgeable, and passionate about representing the Field of Dreams property. It was a fantastic experience for a baseball fan like me.

Guess this is Heaven!

By Vacation65615541564 |

Highly recommend everyone tour the farmhouse so you know much more background information about the home and how Hollywood did what they did. Incredible tour. Field was not crowded even for a Sunday. Thx to Craig our tour guide. Would love to bring other family members now!

Great place

By Cristian V |

This was a fantastic place to visit. Kids playing on the field for little league and the house we tour was great too. Tom our tour guide of the house did a great job explaining the history of the property and home. Even if baseballs not your sport, it’s a majestic place to see.

Revisited after 30 years

By stringy |

Revisited after 30+ years.

I've always loved the movie. I visited the site in the early 90s with a friend. Loved it then. The site has additional features and buildings, which you would think might dampen the charm. My husband had never been to the area, so we went for our anniversary. We arrived too late for a house tour. We enjoyed it so much we looped back and caught the house tour. Robert, our guide, was very informative. Highly recommend to people who have been there before. The magic is still there.

If you rent it……..

By Heather T |

AMAZING! I cannot put into words that can even describe what it felt like to play on the field AND stay overnight in the iconic house. As a young girl this movie ignited a true love for baseball in me. Being able to visit and bring my children was an experience that I am not sure will ever be topped. The staff was so nice and ready to help in any way that we needed. We will be back!

FANTASTIC!

By Melissa M |

The tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind. The entire site was easy to navigate and beautifully kept. I would highly recommend a visit when in Iowa

Field of Dream house Tour

By Craig W |

Molly was very informative. She did an excellent presentation. She seemed to really enjoy her job. Available to ask questions afterward, very knowledgeable.

One of the best trips of my life!

By Ben Wilkey |

I had such an incredible time here! My family and I loved it and we will definitely come back! It’s just like the movie and it was magical!

Great place to visit

By boozyj2023 |

Great tour! Very nostalgic to visit. Food at the Dug Out was great. Wish there was more merch at the store dedicated to this movie specifically or Field of Dreams. They had softball stuff and reference to other baseball movies and other random gear but not FoD stuff.

By Derya S |

My son loved meeting the Ghost Player. House tour was fun. The price seemed high, but it goes to the cause of keeping the property as is. My son also loved playing baseball ⚾️ on the field. Staff was great. The baseball store priced matched the sale prices online (back to school sale).

The baseball legacy lives on in Iowa

By sandyhillman7 |

If you are a baseball or a movie fan, this is a must see. Be sure to take the tour of the house. Our tour guide, Tom, was a passionate narrator of the story behind the movie and the property. His presentation gave us a glimpse into how much the Dyersville community is preserving this wonderful history. We could listen to Tom share his passion for Field of Dreams until “the cows come home.” They built it and we came!

Is this Heaven? It certainly is

By Jack L |

Being a life-long baseball fan, player. and baseball coach it was everything I wanted and more. In a word... magical. I know that sounds cliche...but it was. The moment I saw that field, I just wanted to go throw and catch a baseball on that field.

It's like James Earl Jones, aka Terrence Mann said..."... People will come Ray...they won't know why ...but they definitely will come..."

That explains it perfectly why I went. I don't know why. But I did. And I'm so glad I did.

I believe this Field of Dreams can have the same effect on anyone.

Just go.

Worth the Detour!

By Tottenville |

My wife, two of my teenage sons, and I stopped at the Field of Dreams Movie Site as part of a spring break midwestern road trip. I have a huge personal connection to the movie, so I was very intrigued to see the site in person. We watched the movie a few days before so it was fresh in our minds, and we had a great experience! Our house tour given by Craig was so thorough and interesting. Afterwards, we got to play catch and take batting practice on the field for as long as we wanted. What a fantastic afternoon!

By Cathy C |

This has been a dream destination for many years. We're SO happy we made the trip. The house tour was well worth it, and very informative about things we didn't know about the house, the making of the movie, the history of ownership and plans for the future. Our hostess was awesome. She was so knowledgeable and answered any question thrown at her. We intended to visit on a 'ghost' Saturday, which made the trip even more special. What a great show! All those guys are so dedicated; many of them part of it for more than 30 years. Watching families have a catch, and kid after kid stepping up to the plate just to try and hit one into the corn. The grounds are perfect and those responsible should be commended. Great gift shop, great options for food & an ice cream stand, too. Plenty of parking. All employees were friendly and professional.

People will come

By Dan E |

Amazing experience filled with nostalgia! I played catch with all of my kids on the field and never stopped smiling. Priceless!

You have to visit at least once!

By DayTrip16484971253 |

It was surreal to see the Field of Dreams in real life and witness it's impact on so many people. It looks the same as it did in the movie and it was cool being there in person and then rewatching the movie.

I love that the MLB is investing in having more games here as well. It's a great connection for all baseball lovers.

Worth the trip to experience!

By Louanna P |

Molly was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out some fun facts that nobody knew about the home. The entire experience was wonderful!

Great time for Field of Dreams

By PlainsHiker |

September is a great time to visit, the corn stalks are still up and the grass is green. Suggested donation at the gate is $20 per vehicle The house tour is also $20 but per person. Good history about the facility and movie. Food and drinks at the dugout are great as well. You can play on the diamond and walk in some parts of the corn. Bats, balls, and gloves are available if you want to throw or hit in the field. Well worth the trip if you like baseball and/or the Movie

"Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa."

By Trek47049964033 |

This was our third tour since we moved to Iowa in Oct 2023, and probably my favorite. Thank you, Craig! That said they were all great! Big fan of the movie and the location. "Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa." I only hope heaven has a place just like this! Don't wait, you need to come visit. And check out the bleachers. The top bench, on the far right. Kevin Costner left a little something there.

Is this Heaven? No, it's Iowa

By Andrew H |

The taste of a hotdog, washed down with a soda (in a glass bottle, the way it was intended), 2 teams on the field. Corn rustling in a soft breeze. Sunset peaking over the tops. Sitting alone in quiet reflection on a wood bleacher. Hearing the crack of the bat as the ball is launched into the air. It might not be heaven, but it's the closest I'll ever get. I could have stayed there all day and night, heck I almost did, cept for a small pilgrimage into town to see the other Field of Dreams exhibits. For one fleeting moment I felt peace. I could sit there for days and not be bored. This is what baseball is meant to be. Now lost in multimillion dollar contracts and endorsements, players today forget what the game is supposed to be about. But in Dyersville Iowa, amongst the corn, children and fathers remember.
Hey dad, wanna have a catch?

Don’t miss seeing Feild of Dreams!!

By 424diva |

Loved visiting Field of Dreams. Took a tour of the farmhouse. Tim, our tour guide, was excellent! He is a local and shared lots of details about the community. Thanks Tom!!!! Definitely recommend the tour! Hot dog at the Dugout was really good. Can’t go to a baseball field without eating a hot dog!!

Great Experience

By HNBISOFF |

The Field of Dreams movie site was an awesome and great experience. Enjoyed the moment and adventures. The tour of the house was excellent and Molly, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and informative. A great experience.

Fun experience

By Randall W |

It was a very nice tour. My only wish is that the entire house was open. Not just the main floor. I wish the gift shop would carry more product.

Call me silly!. Loved it!

By HiggySt_Louis |

This was part of our small town in Iowa tour. Any movie fan will tell you it’s silly. But we love it. To a bit pricy. First a donation at the gate. Suggested 20.00. Then, the house tour another 20.00 each. Then an overpriced tee shirt. I’m all in! What do they say in the movies? They will gladly pay? I sure did. It was worth it. The movie is a classic and it was neat to be there. Molly gave us a great tour. She was enthusiastic and knew her job. Great job Molly! We walked the field, hit a grounder (badly), and went into the corn. Wife doesn’t get it, but I loved it. Nice, friendly people. Beautiful place.

If you build it...

By David P |

Not much to see, but just fun to be here. Yes, I ran the bases. No official entrance fee, but suggested donation amounts. I was safe at home. For my $20.00, I got a pin. For more money you can get a jar of official Field of Dreams dirt, but how would I get it home on the plane?

Field of Dreams

By Douglas W |

This is a must for any fan of the movie. They provide bats, balls and gloves if you would like to go on the field and play. Of course everyone has to walk out of the corn. The tour of the house is well worth the extra cost. Our guide, Molly, was pleasure. She was very nice and knowledgable. There is a snack bar and a separate bar and restaurant. there is no time limit for your visit. It all depends on what you want to get out of it.

Only a half-tour of first floor, no second-floir tour!

By John R |

There had been guests that stayed the previous night so we only saw the first floor and were not shown the second floor bedrooms and bathrooms. Disappointing!

Fantastic, must do if in the area!

By Chloe T |

The site is very special, feels almost magical. We had the house tour with Tom who was fantastic! He was very passionate about the site and the local area, adding in great bits of extra info about the actors and surrounding sights.

Attraction and movie both somewhat cheesy, but must-see for baseball romantics.

By Richard F |

More interesting than I thought. Local high school kid did a good job w/30 minute tour. Besides a tour of the movie set house, adds helpful background about the movie history, development plans, and ownership. The 'vibe' of the whole Field of Dreams setup is nicely done by focusing on the love of baseball and keeping away from over the top commercialism. By design, if you you want to find it, you will need to pay attention as there is almost no signage except very understated signs in Dyersville and on the county road leading to the site. Souvenir shop is pretty lame and way overpriced, but I get they are trying to fund a relatively (65.000 visitors/yr) low-attended tourist site. Can't walk into the corn and the dirt part of the fields are covered in fine 'chat; guessing both measures to protect wear and tear. Suggested $20 'donation' per car is well worth it. Cheesy, but as lovers of baseball memories from our youth, a highlight of our vacation.

"Go the Distance" to Dyersville FOD site

By Brad Fax |

My son Sam and I had a great time at the FOD movie site and house tour. The tour was AMAZING and I highly recommend it. My son and I could not wait to get home to Wisconsin and watch the movie again. We also ate at the bar/grill which was terrific and I even bought a bottle of whiskey to bring home for those cold WI nights in the winter. Baseballism was awesome too and keepsakes were purchased. Take your family and friends to Dyersville and check out this site. "Go the distance" and check it out!

It really is heaven …. :)

By Brian M |

Amazing!!!! Our tour guide was elite, too. It was wonderful “having a catch” with my son, and the rest of my family, too. It’s a must for all baseball lovers!!!!

House tour guide

By Macey R |

The guide Molly was amazing and very knowledgeable about the site! We appreciated her kindness and the time she took to answer all our questions!

A perfect Day!

By roger t |

This is a must do for any family. Its a plus if you love the movie. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and didn't want to leave. There is just something magical about the place. We played ball on the field, watched a ghost game, toured the farm house, and watched a real baseball game being played. Weather was perfect for our visit and I would honestly have cried if it had rained us out. This was one of my dads bucket list items for our whole family to go and he had 4 generations there.

Don't wait! Head to Dyersville, Iowa asap!

By Leesa W |

Going to the Field of Dreams Movie Site has been on our bucket list for several years and we finally were able to coordinate family for a visit on August 17 with a Ghost Game and an overnight in the farm house. We couldn't be more impressed and everyone from age 12-73 enjoyed themselves. Your staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful (shout out to Craig and Morgan)! The food we got was also good and the stands had long open hours. The Ghost Players stayed to sign balls and take photos by the field and were gracious until the very last person got their picture, etc.
Staying overnight, we watched the movie and kept stopping to compare scenes with the house and grounds - SO FUN! We even received a fun swag bag to take home. If you love baseball and the Field of Dreams movie you won't be disappointed with a trip to Dyersville, IA.

Father’s Day trip

By LightPacker116142 |

We had a great time at the tour. We visited the night before our tour so we could walk around the farm and have a catch on the field at sunset.

PERFECT

By John P |

In all ways, perfect, surreal to watch Field of Dreams movie in the house that it was made. Surreal to have the entire house and field to yourself with your family, to turn the field lights on and off with your children. On a sidenote, it was neat to have the rare opportunity to watch the cornfield across the street being harvested in the evening. Best experience with family ever.

“Dream” visit.

By KenAnnDtown |

Sort of a bucket list item for me (not so much the Mrs., though). Just a neat place to go and reminisce about the movie. Good facilities and friendly staff. Even got to throw a few and hit a few as well.

A fun place to stop in Dyersville

By Whitney K |

We went before the corn was knee-high, but it was still a fantastic experience. We toured the home; the guide was very friendly and told us several inside movie facts. We were the only ones on the tour at that time late in the day, so we had our own private experience. Just being near the Field of Dreams from the movie was surreal. There is a small bar there also, where we had a couple of drinks. It’s a nice little detour if you’re in Dyersville area!

Terrific Family Experience.

By Amy S |

Excellence family experience. All he workers were friendly, helpful and always positive. Loved it so much that we returned the next day. We ate at The Stretch during the Ghost Game and at the sit down restaurant the next day. Ghost Game was so much fun for everyone.

Field Of Dreams with A Nightmare Employee

By hoosierhobbies |

This place has been on my bucket list for years! It was a fun place to visit especially if you are a baseball fan. Of course I had a hot dog like I do at every ballpark that I visit. Now a word of caution. Be sure to check prices if you are buying FOD bourbon. We purchased 4 bottles and needed 2 more so we went on the internet and found a nearby store had them for 1/2 the price! We found out the hard way that returns aren't allowed (I pointed out that there was no signs about that policy). The manager named Lucy was mad that we wanted to return the sealed items and we had never left the property so after much negotiations she finally agreed to accept the return. She was so angry she even pushed a young co-worker away from the register. She needs to go to anger management! The young co-worker apologized for her rude behavior and said that she has a lot going on in her life. Ok, but leave personal matters at home and remember, the customer is always right! Don't wreck a once in a lifetime experience! She never once apologized or said thank you and kept walking away saying I don't want to hear it! Lucy, you are the food and beverage manager set an example for your employees!

Movie House tour

By Beaveracres |

This was our first time touring the house at the Field of Dreams. Molly was very Informative and graciously answered many questions asked of her.

Farmhouse

By Gloria W |

Such an interesting story of the generational farm and how the house was reconstructed. Craig is very engaged in the story and details even the small stuff.

An excellent time at the Field of Dreams

By Karen M |

It was a lovely experience. We hit balls on the field, took many pictures, and toured the house. Tom was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly and informative. The Dugout restaurant had a good selection for lunch. Now we have to watch the movie again!

Excellent Attraction

By nordicsaw |

My wife and I had a great time. The house tour was amazing and our guide was fantastic. The souvenir store was very over priced and limited selection. The visit overall was fantastic and would definitely recommend!

Very hot waiting for the house tour to begin- wrecked our visit

By DoWhatsRight |

The waiting area for the house tour needs to be more user friendly. The hot sun and high humidity was very taxing. There were chairs on the porch but we asked and were told they were not for our use before the tour. Once we got inside my wife immediately felt faint snd overheated and had to excuse herself so we sat in chairs in the doorway. The tour guide didn’t pause her presentation to inquire about our well being. How about pop up shelters for shade with some benches for those waiting on the tour. Better yet, let us sit on the porch. It really wrecked our visit.

“ I went the distance “

By Mike |

Finally off my bucket list . Worth the drive out here. The field and grounds very well kept. The house tour was worth the price and Molly the tour guide was informative and very professional.

Tom the house tour

By Jennifer W |

Tom was our tour guide and he was fantastic! We originally were not going to go on the house tour but was worth the money. Would recommend it as we learned so much. Thank you!

one night stay over with dear friends to celebrate my husband's 50th!

By Sally T |

It was a magical experience in every way! We were greeted and given a great tour and enjoyed all of the amenities of the house and field!

An absolute dream come true

By Nicole B |

Turning the lights on on that iconic field and playing ball with my family will forever be one of my favorite memories. waking up in that farmhouse and seeing the cornfield and the fog over the baseball field is indescribable. watching field of dreams in the living room where it was filmed is surreal. This whole experience is a dream come true.

By Travis I |

Great visit it was awesome to see the 11U travel team championship game. House tour was awesome. Tour guide Teddy did a great job.

I lived up to expectations

By Lisa R |

The tour guide was upbeat and knew the history well. and was able to answer all questions asked. It was worth the drive and was a beautiful day

Enjoyed the Field of Dreams.

By William T |

Hit and caught some balls with the old ghost player. It was great. Took some special pictures on the field and near the corn field. The grand kids loved it. The. House tour also was informative.

Bucket List ✅

By NorthStar28696897118 |

Tom was our tour guide and did a great job. His local knowledge and background really added to the depth of the history of the site. Access to the field made this a perfect experience.

By Nancy S |

After seeing the movie and being a baseball mom for so many years, it was such a cool moment driving up to this place. It has a magical feel. I took the tour of the house too. So interesting! One of the ghost players was there interacting with all the tourists and he took pictures and walked into and out of the cornfield with them. That was really neat. Highly recommend it!

4th of July

By Joe W |

This was my second time coming and it was as good as the first .. but what’s better than “ have a catch “ with my dad on the 4 th of July at the field of dreams. The dugout. Is a great addition

Enjoyable activity!

By mikedE7737QH |

We were at The Field of Dreams for our grandson's baseball tournament and went on the home tour with Tom. He did an excellent job leading the tour. All of us loved learning the history about the movie and the wonderful people of Dyersville. I would definitely recommend signing up to take the tour.

Dreamy, Field of Dreams

By Sheryl |

The Field of Dreams Movie site is exactly that, a field of dreams. It’s as magical as it was in the film. Beautifully maintained home and perfect baseball field. Entrance is free, minimal fee for house tour which we did. Craig did an amazing job as guide at the house, and shared so many insights in the making of the film, history of the property and plans for future of the dream. If you are a baseball fan, a film buff or both, you’ll love this magical place. If you show up on Tuesday between 10-2 you’ll probably see one or two ghosts.

Best Day Ever

By Rhonda M |

This is a place I always wanted to visit. It was everything I hoped for and some.

We also did the house tour. Tom was fantastic in incorporating the movie production with how the community participated to make the movie happen.

It was fun to see a bunch of guys on a field playing ball like we were kids in the neighborhood. *Take a wood bat!

Don't be afraid to wear your uniform. It's fun!

Perfect dream come true.

By Joe B |

Outstanding experience. Staff was outstanding and great to deal with. Words can't put it into words. The stay at the house was clean, cozy, and perfect.

Very fun tour and enjoyed the site in general

By Scott B |

One of my favorite movies never knew exactly where it was at until i stopped for gas in Dyersville and saw the signs. Decided to go visit as part the wife and my birthday celebrations we would go visit and tour the house, The tour was very good and informative and visiting the field was cool.

Catch with my Dad

By Ammastre |

I brought my father to stay at the Kinsella home for his birthday weekend. Our Ghost Tour with Coach was incredible. Words can't express the memories that were forged in 48 hours. Dreams were completed, new dreams were discussed. I had a catch with my Dad. Words can't express that joy. Thank you Field of Dreams.

Great

By Hannah L |

Was a really neat stay. The tour was great and playing on the field with our kids was unforgettable. We had the field all to ourselves that evening and night without having to rent it.

An experience like no other for movie/baseball fans

By jeff l |

I have been a fan of the movie since it came out. Visiting the site brought back memories of "having a catch" with my Dad. I miss him as he passed away in 2003.
A tour of the house was great with the tour guide dressed in the uniform of the 1919 Chicago White Sox. The house is just as you see it in the movie. We were even able to have our picture taken on the swing that "Annie and Karen "are sitting on in the beginning of the movie.
The best part is just being able to walk onto the field itself. Run the bases, bring your glove and "have a catch". I stood on the mound and pretended to pitch to my wife.
There is no actual cost to enter, but they ask for a donation of $20 to keep it going. They say it in the movie, " We don't mind if you look around. It's only $20 per person." But it is just a donation of $20. Not per person.

Homerun!

By Carlos Chacon |

We had an amazing time at the Field of Dreams. From the warm welcome to Tom’s great house tour, it still feels just like the movie and keeps that Iowa charm.

HOME RUN

By LuvToTravel0899 |

We signed up for the house tour and were glad we did. Craig was our tour guide and did an excellent job. I would suggest that you tour the house while visiting the site as it refreshes you on the history of the movie. I had a hot dog for lunch....appropriate for this site.

Bucket list Moment

By Evette F |

This was a bucket list moment for me my husband especially and my mom and aunt! We really enjoyed the entire location and experience! I got chills when I got to watch my husband play baseball on the Field of Dreams!!

Field of Dreams

By Road28831465815 |

What a wonderful experience especially after watching the movie again. My adult son went and toured the home, played catch and may have seen one of the ghost :). Magical place for sure and you won't be disappointed.

Bucket List ✔️

By Matthew |

Everything we hoped for. Bucket list item fulfilled. House is shockingly accurate to the movie. I got emotional when guide played clip of Karen telling Ray that there was a man out on his field.

House tour with Craig

By Steve B |

Wife and I toured the house with Craig the tour guide. Craig knows everything there is to know about the house and property it sits on. Well worth your time to take the tour with Craig.

Husband’s dream trip and I loved it too!

By _cpfirewife0215 |

We visited on August the 11th and had a great time! We met Al the Godfather of the property who told me he’s been there since the movie! I hope I got that right 😉!My husband played on the field while I watched from the bleachers! I found the Ray lives Annie in a heart carved into the bleacher by Kevin! We played a game of catch and took a tour of the farm house! Tom a very dedicated and passionate guide gave us so much back story and true stories of the home owner and community and members of the community who embraced the production of the movie. I won’t spoil it for anyone reading, just go to see it if you are in the area!

Ghost Players Could Have Done More

By Lacy W |

Saw this on the Today Show and immediately asked the husband if he wanted to go. We live only 5 hours away, so it's not bad. We booked a campsite and away we went. We really wanted to make sure we came on a Saturday to see the Ghost players. Honestly, kinda disappointed. We were really hoping it would resemble the movie more. The players didn't come out of the corn, which we were so hoping would happen. We had envisioned that the players would kind of put on a practice like the movie, but instead, it was like a poorly put together globetrotters show. We sat in the blazing hot sun to watch them interact with a few kids they picked from the crowd. I understand it was lighthearted and geared towards audience participation, but for true Field of Dreams fans, it was a disappointment. Even my 10 year old, who just watched the movie, was disappointed not seeing more of the Ghost Players play. I feel like it could have been better.

Magic on the field!

By Alexis K |

Tom was amazing during the tour! It felt like the most magical time ever! Looking forward to coming back to visit with my family!

Nice little stop

By Karen R |

Nice place to visit when in the area. We did not tore the house but spent a little time walking the grounds and watching a local baseball game that was playing on the field. There is a small gift shop and Snack Shack on the site but porta potties only. Depending on the time of year you go the corn could have already been cut. The entrance fee to get in and walk around is by donation.

Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa.

By Greg S |

A dream come true! Unbelievable experience. Such fun. The Field of Dreams Movie Site is extremely well-kept and well-organized. Got to play catch on the field, eat a hot dog in the bleachers, drink a local corn-forward pilsner at the bar, tour the house, and just enjoy a bright sunny day at the Field.

A Touch of History

This was an amazing experience! I loved seeing the field and house. It was a great place to visit as a family! I recommend it!

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Field of Dreams house. The house was very well kept. It has A/C which was great. You should know that if you stay there, you have to leave the house between 9 am and 4 pm so they can give tours. But we did find things to do in town.

My only negative comment is that I don’t think the grounds keepers like visitors to the house. The first night we were awaken at 6:30 am to them cutting the field (loudly). Tours start at 10 am. 6:30 wasn’t necessary. The 2nd day, we were sitting on the porch at 8:30 am, went in to get something. We come back out and the entire porch was soaking wet - chairs - porch etc. A male worker had hosed down everything. Now we can’t sit outside. If check out time is 9am, no one should be by the house until then. Total invasion of our privacy not to mention I felt like they were saying - Get out ! This place isn’t cheap ! So very rude in my opinion.

Amazing time

By Taylor R |

Amazing time! And great atmosphere. There is a bar and restaurant. You can also tour the house with Tom he was amazing giving us our tour he is also a local and used to farm here in town. You can also play on the field they supply the bats balls & gloves.

We are in Iowa!

By Passenger20281900623 |

From New Jersey we went there during a family reunion. What an adventure it was we stayed the night and were given the run of the house and field. My cousin and I were able to have a long-awaited catch on the field. The area surrounding in the little town was very nostalgic. The food was good and what an atmosphere to be in during this time. Our tour guide Tom showed us the ins and outs of the house and some history of the movie. The best part was at night we were able to turn on the lights on the field one by one at each base and Outfield position. What an experience we kept saying, we are in Iowa. Thank you Field of Dreams for a wonderful experience.

“A great way to spent a day “, Beautiful !!!

By WORLD HOUSE R |

Spent the day here on a day off as a side excursion , well worth it. The tour guide Tom was a wealth of knowledge and had the tour group I was with hanging on his every word . This is a great way to spend the day and relax in a magical place …. If you get the opportunity take it !!!!

An exceptional experience!

By Roam02754389797 |

Our visit exceeded our expectations, which were already high! Craig gave us a wonderful tour of the house and provided all the information needed for a wonderful time staying overnight in the house. This trip was a surprise visit for my husband's 80th birthday. Being able to eat our dinner in the kitchen, play catch on the lighted field at night and then sleep in the three bedrooms upstairs was like a dream. This trip provided incredible memories that we will treasure as a family for years to come. Thank you for making this experience possible!!

Fun on the Field

By Cindy P |

Loved the movie back in the day so when we found out we would be in the area we booked our tour. HOW cool to learn how this town was chosen and to see the actual movie site. We were blown away by all the coolness this place had to offer. We also thoroughly enjoyed the If you build it exhibit in the downtown area. Highly recommend both!

Is this heaven? No it's Iowa

This for sure a must see. If you watch the movie prior to going, it makes it that much better. Tour guide craig did a nice job.

Field of Dreams Visit

By Tourist03642217485 |

Really enjoyed the entire tour. Craig was fantastic as he diligently took us through the home on site and explained in incredible detail the story of the Field of Dreams.

I don’t know if there would be much to talk about, but I would’ve liked to had a similar experience outside. I would’ve enjoyed hearing about the site’s history while also walking around outside the house (in the field, around the barn, etc)

Interesting movie facts.

By Chris_and_Christy |

Excellent tour of house by Craig with great details on the production of the movie. Very nice staff. Beautifully manicured field.

Pure Magic

By Brooke F |

We come every year with our International Cross Country Baseball tour. The facility is perfect. The right amount of nostalgia, mixed with updated food and drink choices! Baseballism is fun to shop too! The ice cream is pretty awesome! But this place is pure magic. It’s more than a movie, it truly is a destination that means so much to so many!!! Can’t say enough about it!

Awsome time!!

By David G |

Very good trip to field of dreams.. something i always wanted to do.. the girl that gave us the house tour was very courteous and professional..

FIELD OF DREAMS-WHAT A DREAM!!!

By Pearl G |

My husband and I took a road trip to the Field of Dreams on Friday, August 1. It exceeded all my expectations!
We took the house tour and our guide, Tom, was outstanding!!! He is a local and provided a great perspective on the history of the home, farm, and also filming of the movie. He took photos of us on the porch swing and answered everyone’s questions.
I was afraid the field itself would be over-crowded, but it was perfect! It was a joy to watch a few families with kids playing baseball, and there was plenty of space for us to play catch.
We grabbed a very delicious hot dog and beer at the Dugout, and enjoyed shopping for souvenirs.
Field of Dreams has been on my bucket list for many years, and it did not disappoint!

BUCKET LIST DREAM EXCEEDED!

By Robert G |

Everything was perfect from the tour to the field to the house! We had a great time watching the movie at the house, and lived all the trivia from the tour. it made watching the movie even more fun!!! We'll be back--this was our 4th trip to the field, but first overnight stay at the house.

Must visit for baseball fans! The field and home are preserved so well. The home tour was packed with great information.

Another must, at Field of Dreams

By Gary V |

Tour was interesting. Guide made the experience quite entertaining. Fee was reasonable, and the length of the tour worked well.

My dream come true!

By GREGORY H |

The tour guide (Molly I think) was really informative. She knew the information and had answers for the questions that were brought up. The tour itself is so nostalgic and playing the speech by James Earl Jones brought tears to my eyes. The people in the gift shop were also very helpful and went out of their way to find an item for me. I spent time on the Field and even got to bat the ball around when some very kind young men were willing to humor my request to pitch a few to me. I surprised them by hitting the first pitch past the infield. Not bad for a 72 year old. I had a hot dog while watching members of the Valparaiso College football team play a game of baseball. I was truly happy spending time at the Field of Dreams. It was magical.

Amazing House Tour

By Amy R |

The house tour was amazing. So informative and we learned so many behind the scenes facts. If you're a fan of the movie, do the house tour. It's well worth it

Great Tour Great Tour Guide. Although very young Teddy handle the tour and questions as a seasoned professional. Good Luck in college at Missouri

Definitely worth stopping by

Being on the field and in the home that the movie took place was really something. Took me back in time and knowing the history as well as what it took to film the movie was very interesting. The tour guide did a great job. Definitely recommend

You Gotta See This!

By Eeecee |

Hubby and I moved to Iowa from the west coast and learned F of D was not too far away from us. Took a little trip and was not disappointed! There was a baseball tournament going on and it was a beautiful day! Craig was an excellent tour guide in the house and the history of the property. Re-watched the movie and now it has a whole new feel. Totally worth the trip!!!

Wonderful experience

By Joya C |

Even though it was a gloomy day it was a surreal experience and we enjoyed it. However, I think the staff could’ve been more welcoming.

By Katherine B |

It was such a wonderful experience. Parking was easy, $20 suggested donation. Food available. Sat in lawn chairs for game on side line, but bleachers available too. Got there at 12:00 for 1:00 ghost game on Saturday. The ghost player game was about a hour and very entertaining. Played catch on the field before and after the ghost player game. Equipment provided but you can bring your own. Everyone just went to the field and a game broke out with strangers, nothing organized. It was pretty cool. Some shade but mostly in sun for the day. Book house tour early, takes about an hour for tour. There are movie sites in downtown Dyersville that we did not see but would have liked to visit. Overall great experience for us and our 10 year old son who did not want to leave ever!!

Iowa! What a wonderful place.

By Luther |

A truly unforgettable experience, incredible for any baseball or movie fan. The people were friendly and so welcoming, and all of the guests we encountered were delightful to interact with. From discussing the area and history with the locals to finding out where everyone hailed from to playing baseball games that just manifest themselves.
A great family trip.

Worth a quick stop if in the area.

By Scott S |

Easy to find location with plenty of parking and organization. There overall site was larger and busier than we had anticipated, but spread out enough that it didn't feel too overcrowded. And apparently they are adding additional ball fields and perhaps more buildings. He took the movie set farmhouse tour and enjoyed it. Craig was a good and informative host, although his presentation was quite dry. It's a good one time stop if in the area.

Family memories

By Keri H |

For our family this was awesome! The house tour was great and our tour guide was super knowledgeable and did a great job. Playing catch on the field was a different type of nostalgia! We will be back and hopefully catch a ghost game! Thank you to everyone who has preserved this iconic place!

A Great Experience to relive the movie!

By John T |

It was great to tour inside this House of Dreams! They did a great job to preserve and find artifacts that reflect what was seen in the movie. The guide told interesting facts and tidbits about the owner, the staging and the filming of the movie. Only downside was the upstairs was closed off.

Great time!!!

By Jody F |

Janet was our tour guide and she was awesome!! She came out before the tour and was talking to everyone that was going on the tour. She was very knowledgeable about the guide tour and friendly!!! Janet was an awesome tour guide for the house!!! She did an excellent job!!!!

Plain Simpke Nostalgic Fun for the Family

By Divemasterbob |

The walk in the corn was fun and we ran the bases. Fun for the whole family. We spent 2 hours reliving the 1989 memories, smiling as we tagged each other out, and helping others take pictures of a cite moment.

Worth the time

By Bernie G |

Tour guide was great and did an excellent job of telling us the story behind the movie Field of dreams movie and how it came about

Sure, we don't mind if you look around.

By Jonathan P |

Great tour! Lots of cool trivia pieces from the movie. Well worth the money for a fan of Field of Dreams. Don't forget to get some delicious ice cream and souvenir beer. Molly was a great tour guide.

Worth the drive!

By GoodTimez |

I’ve watched the movie but honestly didn’t know what to expect from the movie site. My husband and I who are baseball lovers thought this was one of the best stops we’ve made all summer. We live around 9 hours away and were traveling back home, working this into our schedule. So glad we did! Love the field and the nostalgia of how original everything seems. We arrived on a Monday and we got there soon after 9 am. It honestly wasn’t too crowded but seemed to get that way as the day went on. Parking was very close by for us because we arrived early. We played on the field, ran the bases (lot of balls, bats and gloves supplied right beside the field) and went out to the corn stalks, bought souvenirs (they didn’t have any magnets in stock, I was bummed, magnets are my thing!!) and then toured at 11am. Our house tour guide was Molly, very knowledgeable and didn’t read a single word off of a q card. We went into their eatery (The DugOut) drank a cold one and left soon after. Every one was so friendly! Met many tourists and staff who were willing to take a photo and share a baseball story or two. Definitely more beautiful, peaceful and interesting than I imagined.

Memorable Experience

By Lindsay S |

Such a fun and memorable experience! Spent the evening playing on the field with family under the lights. Just like the movie!

Very emotional visit with my daughters

By Jordan A |

It was one the best trips of my life, to have been taken there by my 2 daughters... Very emotional day !! Got there at a good time also...not very busy

Worth it.

By Psalm143-8 |

Even though the corn was brown it was still fun.
They leave enough corn around the perimeter of the field for you to replicate disappearing into the great unknown. The food areas were closed and you have to pay to get into the house, which we would have done if we didn’t have to wait for a tour time. It was really fun “having a catch” on the field (they provide gloves and balls. Well worth the donation for entry.

Wonderful experience we highly recommend

By Tony M |

This was a fabulous experience from start to finish. We stayed the night at the home, and it was comfortable, fun and most enjoyable. The entire staff we encountered were the best. Many thanks to the young lady who checked us in, gave us a great tour with lots of great information It was especially great to have the opportunity to light up the field and get some wonderful pictures.

Nostalgia

By Mike L |

My wife and I had a wonderful experience today visiting the Field of Dreams. Easy to get to, large parking even for motor homes. Our tour guide, Tom, lives in the area and did a remarkable job of giving us the background of the land owners from the early 1900's until today. The grounds are immaculate, the baseball field is beautiful with plenty of photo opportunities available. There is a bar with a restaurant, indoor and outdoor seating and the food was excellent. We travel in an RV, we stayed nearby and would highly recommend putting this venue on your "to do" list.

Great experience

By rgoodell6 |

I would go back again. It is a magical place. Everyone was great. The young lady that gave us the tour of the house was wounderful.

A once in a lifetime experience.

By Coastal65136367262 |

It was a once in a lifetime trip. Walking through the corn; playing ball on the field as a family under the lights; watching the movie in the very home where it was filmed - all were amazing. The staff was the best: the ladies who helped us in the store and the Dugout were excellent and patient. Our tour guide Tom was also excellent and super informative. He loves this place and it shows. The field staff were great and wonderful to talk to. A trip we will never forget.

Field of my dreams

By Sea B |

Went on a road trip, and was on my bucket list to see and it did not disappoint! We did the house tour and checked out the other buildings. I could’ve spent hours there but sadly had to get back on the road.

Finally found heaven.

By Robert J |

Had a great time. It took me 20 years to convince my wife to add this stop to a trip. Everything I expexted. If you love the movie, you need to visit.

Great experience

By Jennifer B |

Very cool experience to watch the Ghost Saturday! Home tour guide was very knowledgeable with great sense of humor. Enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommend, especially if you have children.

The Real Field of Dreams

By Gene J |

Great visit. Will go home and rewatch the moving after learning so much from our docent Tom. He is local and gave an extensive history on the local involvement in the making of the movie. The snack bar/restaurant on the grounds served a great lunch however should work on the variety of drink offers ie. diet/low cal. selection.

An incredible experience! Do not miss!!

By TimmyB23 |

I’d like to compliment “Janet”, who gave us a guided tour of the house. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and full of passion for the story and the site. Her presence elevated our visit from memorable to unforgettable. She truly embodies the spirit of the Field of Dreams.

Special Place

By ifitz4 |

What a fantastic experience to visit Field of Dreams! The grounds are beautiful and the farm house is so charming. Tom, our guide was awesome! We learned the history of the farm property as well as special moments from the movie along with how the site was chosen and how it was built, etc. you can walk the field, go in and out of the corn field, play ball on the ball field, have a snack or food and buy a souvenir. Highly recommend a visit

Father-Son Trip We Will Never Forget

By SuperOrganizedDad |

I arrived with my teenage son around 8:00 AM and we were thrilled to have the field to ourselves. It was an amazing hour neither of us will ever forget!! We brought our gloves and a few baseballs, but there was equipment in boxes by the field available for use. The house tour was very interesting and we will definitely consider going back one day with others and staying in the the house overnight as it's a very good value for a large group with amazing benefits. I would also recommend heading into town to visit the Baseball Museum and Field of Dreams museum which are next to each other as they round out the experience.

Is this Heaven?

By Caroline P |

It was so magical seeing the site of such an amazing movie. I took the tour of the house and it was well worth it. My tour guide was Tom and he gave us so much Trivia about the shooting of the movie and set. It was amazing to see! Remember to bring a ball and glove and have a catch!

Well worth the time.

By Helen H |

Craig was excellent. Really helped connect us to the history and future of the property and house. Truly expressed the importance of the field.

Over night at the Field of Dreams

By kkeef |

A truly unique experience! We went to watch the World Series and it was awesome. Watched game 5 and then went outside to the field, turned the lights on and played ball. Can't really put to words how cool this was.

Wonderful afternoon pitstop!

By Melissa P |

Totally worth driving a little out of the way on our trip out west. Had a wonderful afternoon in the bar and taking the home tour.

The Reality of the Field of Dreams Movie Site

By jb m |

Had a wonderful time taking in the site and walking the field. Tom gave a really great house tour. It's well worth the relatively short trip coming from Dubuque.

By Steve M |

Special day at “Field of Dreams”. It felt like I was an extra in the movie. The house tour was short but definitely added to the experience.

Dream come true

By Todd B |

An amazing experience, this was a bucket list dream come true. I have the chance to meet Marv one of the Ghost Players. He was very nice very easy to talk to and he has a love of baseball. We talked about a lot of different stuff from baseball to my travel and to the loss of loved ones recently.

Amazing. Everyone is there with the same kindness and general purpose to feel like a kid again

By Philip L |

Field was in pristine shape. Craig, the tour guide was amazing! You could hear and feel his passion. It really was awesome hearing him explain everything to us. I could’ve spent hours doing the tour!

An AMAZING Experience for any Baseball Fan

By acjcy |

We visited the Field of Dreams as the final activity on a 3 state baseball stadium journey. It does not disappoint. The tour of the Movie Site
Home was truly the icing on the cake. Bob, our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the home and all that went into obtaining the property, renovations for the movie and the actual filming. He guided us through without rushing, encouraging picture taking and was able to answer all questions posed.
Many people were visiting the site and not doing the Home Tour. Highly recommend touring the actual home.

Special place you must experience

By Rhonda K |

What an amazing afternoon at this very special place. It has been a dream of mine to come here and it did not disappoint. My husband and I were traveling through the area. It was only a hour and a half drive so we just had to go. As soon as we got to the field my husband asks “Wanna have a catch?” It was perfect. We spent quite a bit of time playing on the field and walking through the corn. Seeing families with their kids doing the same was so sweet. We also did the house tour. It was really cool to walk through but also our tour guide (Tom) made it extra special! I wasn’t expecting to learn so much about the preservation of the site. It is great that they include that in your experience and made it even more special.

Magical!

By Laura L |

Field of Dreams is my husband's favorite movie and I wanted to suprise him with a trip to see the field. He was surprised and we spent the entire day there! Although it was very hot, the Dug Out that is onsite had plenty of options for drinks and food. We went on a Ghost Player weekend which made it even more magical. I hope people continue to pass on this movie to their children so generations to come can enjoy the good feeling you have when you are there!

Great anniversary get away!

By Jamie G |

Great tour of the house! The young man gave a very good tour and was very knowledgeable about the movie and town where other filming took place. It was very neat to see how the field hasn’t changes over the years and was just like the movie. All of the staff were very friendly!

Great tour, fun info

Field of My Dreams

By Annette I |

From the moment we walked into the house, we felt like we were living with the Kinsellas. Everything is in place to help you relive the movie. Outside at the ball field at night, we had a surprise visit from a ghost player. It was the greatest experience from beginning to end. And, receiving a copy of Dwier Brown’s book, “If You Build It,” was the perfect topper. I wish I could do this once a year.

One man’s dream opened up a world of endless possibilities.

By Pam M |

From the moment we arrived, till the time we left, it truly felt like we were part of history. There were guys playing baseball, many walking around reliving the memories. An awesome experience. I highly recommend this!!!! For kids of all ages

Definitely go if you are a baseball fan

By Robin B |

There are two attractions here: the actual field, which is free but they request a $20 donation and the house, which is a separate cost. We had tickets to tour the house for a different day, but when we found ourselves in the area, they kindly accommodated us and Clarence showed us around the house and gave a very good tour. If you are a baseball fan, definitely go out of your way to visit. If you are a fan of the movie, take the home tour because several scenes were filmed inside the home. There’s a gift shop, a couple of restaurants. Restrooms are strictly porta pottie, but they were clean.

Tour Hits A Homerun!

By C-02 |

Oh man, even in the snow, it's a glorious site! We experienced the field like the first winter in the movie! And we added the house tour, too. What a wonderful tour Craig led! He has a passion for the sport, as well as the movie and Iowa! No wonder that he is the Manager of Visitor Experience! We enjoyed hearing the back stories of the house, previous owners, and the movie scenes. I would highly recommend seeing this site, even if you've only seen the movie once! We'll be back for sure when it thaws up here!

Must see tour for any Field of Dreams fan

By Dawn B |

Great Day Trip

By Michelle W |

We enjoyed playing catch in the field and watching the ghost players. One of the ghost players played catch with my son after the game and they signed his baseball. We also took the home tour which was full of fun little trivia about the movie. Everything was affordable and everyone was kind. Great day trip!

Fun and informative

By Steph C |

The tour of the house was very informative and insightful. Our tour guide was new but was very knowledgeable and fun! My husband had never seen the movie, but he was able to get a good understanding of it because of the information given. Such a fun place go!

Kind of fun

By Steve R |

Nice little off the beaten path experience.
My wife and I played catch. She pitched to me and stuck me out. I pitched to her, and she hit both pictches I gave her.
We didn't do the house tour.
My only complaint is the parking "suggested charge." $20.
Be honest and tell people you want a $20 admission.

Great tour guide

By Lumpree B |

Our tour guide was great. Shared great stories. Could tell she’s very knowledgeable. Enjoyed her tour. She deserves to be recognized.

Great day trip from Chicago

By Camper36801949525 |

went during a ghost Saturday. my son hit his first ball. I had the best Chicago dog ever for lunch, and got a ball signed by all the ghost players. loved the game with the kids. Would love to see a real game too. maybe vintage league.

Field of Dreams house tour

By Stacey D |

Craig provided the tour and was a wealth of information about the house before, during, and after the filming of the movie. This trip was a bucket list trip for my 91 year-old father. We took pictures of my dad standing in the exact spot that Kevin Costner stood during key points in the movie. Our guide, Craig, was very kind and gave my dad a commemorative baseball at the end of the tour. Make sure that you reserve your tour online ahead of time. We returned a second day to the field because the house tours were sold out when we arrived the day before.

We had am AMAZING time

By Kara A |

I took a group of adults with special needs. The tour guide was extremely accommodating to my group and so inclusive!! It was a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend going!

They built it....

By Trevor P |

Just walking around the site was incredible, and take the time to read the info signs as there is a lot of history explained there. I kinda wish we would have been during the growing season. Make sure you toss a ball a few times just to say you did.

Great day at the Field of Dreams with friends from Japan!

By Allysen B |

We brought our Japanese clients to visit the Field of Dreams. They loved the experience. Tom was amazing and we loved every aspect of the history, conversation, house and fields.

Thank you!

For Film and Baseball Fans

By Charles S |

My wife and I visited the Field of Dreams baseball field tourist attraction when we were on our U.S road trip. The facility was built on the lands of two farms for the 1989 film and once production was finished the baseball diamond was left behind. Car parking is on site and entry is a donation of $20 and there is an additional charge of $20 for the optional house tour. Visitors can play ball on the field. The souvenir shop is attractive but pricey. Worth a visit for film and baseball fans.

The Most Amazing Experience!!!!

By tommattingly33 |

I'm a baseball fanatic and a purest. This was most amazing trip, the feeling you get when you drive in and walk the grounds are like no other!!! Getting to go play catch, hit some balls, tour everything and to top it off get to meet Dwier Brown and talk to him was just amazing and aw striking!!!! Thank you and I will be back bringing my son and grandsons for sure!!!

Walk among the corn to experience the dream

By pxcaballero |

As a small kid I remember watching this movie on VHS with my Dad. I loved that a Dad and Daughter had a special bond over baseball. This August I visited the movie set with my Dad. We had a lovely tour given by Robert of the Farmhouse. (Not John!)

Robert shared the story of the Farm House Set and how the town worked so hard to have the corn "movie ready", how many extras worked to create the final shot. After the tour, we walked through the Corn Field and all the images I had from watching the movie came to life in front of me.

*make sure that Robert is your tour guide, not that John guy. (see Robert, I said I would add this to my review)

If you love baseball, you’ll love visiting Field of Dreams!

By Roberta C |

It was amazing and in someways very emotional for both my husband and me. Our son played baseball for many years growing up and the father son connection from the movie site carried over to our family memories as well. An awesome experience!

Great experience

Fantastic trip that me and my father will remember for the rest of our lives. Fantastic time and everyone there is super friendly and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Father and Son stop at the Field of Dreams

By dspoole |

My son and I had a tremendous experience at the Field of Dreams Movie Site. The surroundings and aura of the place are second-to-none for the true baseball and movie fan. The house tour is a must-do. That being said, while the background and history of Dyersville and the history of the family ownership is very important for the context of the movie and the set, I would recommend spending less time on that content and more on the moments of the movie reflected in the house. Overall a tremendous experience for the right audience.

Great spot!!

By James. Devinney |

Always been a big fan of the film and it was great to finally see it in person. We did the home tour with Craig and he was very knowledgeable and great guide. Was so excited to get home and watch the movie. Makes the movie even better having been there with what we learned from the tour. Even noticed something not mentioned about the house during the tour in the opening credits when Kevin Costner and Amy Madigan were in front of the sold sign for the house you can actually see the house in the background being renovated. Which because of the tour we know was real. Will definitely stop again when the corn is grown.

Great stop!

By Patty K |

This was a fantastic experience. I was really impressed with Tom, our house tour guide. His knowledge of the local area was so genuine. You could feel his sense of pride when he described how the community rallied around this experience from the beginning to date.

Fun time here!

By Cynthia O |

We really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend this for all ages baseball enthusiasts. The tour of the house was fantastic. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job. So glad we took the time to add this to our itinerary on the way to college World Series!

Beautiful day for a visit to a classic place

By Bob s |

It was a relaxing day touring the site and the home tour. We had just rewatched to movie so the scenes were fresh in our minds

Just go. Go and see Cindy and crew.

By Dale T |

Cindy at the gate is the sweetest lady ever! I arrived too early at about 745 am. But she and other yard staff were there early too. We talked a half hour about the park. We talked about how it is one of those places that represent the best of America. Connecting with family and people and a warm atmosphere. How can you not be at least a bit romantic about baseball. Thank you Cindy and staff. Superb!!!

Wonderful

By Brenda M |

It was Wonderful!! Truly an amazing experience. Loved that it was not commercial, everyone who worked there was so friendly and helpful and really kind. I will be back! And staying at the house was the cherry on top! Comfortable beds, kitchen and living room. It was great!

It’s been on my bucket list for years. I live in Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦 and it’s out of the way but I planned it since last November to visit and other places along the way up to devils tower in Wyoming. What made me decide to finally go there was my interaction with Dwier Brown when I spotted him on a game show when he was younger. I contacted Dwier through his social media and he replied . I also visited his if you build it exhibit which I truly enjoyed. The field was everything and more. I truly enjoyed it.
I hope to return in the near future . So thank you and thank you Dwier my tic tac dough friend .

Father’s Day !!

By Lindsey J |

The views were amazing!! It’s my favorite movie, and I had been wanting to come for years. I’m so glad we got to stop here, and tour the house, on our way back from a travel ball tournament, and on Father’s Day !!

Great experience!

By Brett N |

My family and I had an amazing time. We rented the home and the field. We were able to have a home tour, cookout, and play under the lights and during sunlight. Everything was perfect, from the spacious home to the beautiful field.

We thoroughly enjoyed our movie site home tour. Very informative and lots to see. Tom was our tour guide and told many great stories about how the movie set up came to be. Well worth the visit!

Found Heaven in IOWA

By Tony T |

I have always wanted to visit the site from the movie. I was blown away. I am so happy I made time on a business trip to visit. The place is as good as I expected and the people there were fantastic.

A magical place!

By Suzi S |

We went with a group of family and friends, the tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the property and the movie. We played baseball on the field and walked in the cornstalks, it really was magical!

A dream come true ....

By Erika M |

I've been talking about this place for years ans to actually come here ans experience it was a dream come true. The tour of the house was very good. I love hearing about the history. You can tell the staff have a pride and passion for this place. Everyone is so friendly.

FOD Movie Site totally exceeded our expectations! Definitely worth the trip!

By K S |

Our visit to the field completely exceeded our expectations! When we turned the corner and saw the field lights for the first time, it was truly an unimaginable experience. The peace and serenity we felt melted away any previous concerns or life issues. The movie has been a common
thread of interest throughout our 3 decades of marriage so this was a definite bucket list trip for us. We were greeted with smiles and kindness upon arrival by Cindy and the next day was Clarence. They both gave us a brief overview of what to expect. We bought the Triple Sponsor donation. Totally worth it! The next friendly face we met was Ghost Player, Coach Dennis (JN 3:16) who was incredibly joyful and his laughter and smile was contagious. He shared some great stories about the movie and took a genuine interest in making our stay so fun, we decided to extend for another night! Staying in the house was an awesome experience for sure! Craig and Tom gave us a private tour of the house. Shared some captivating stories about the history of the house and pointed out some of the movie props too. The upstairs is roped off for tours, but since we were staying at the house, we were given the full inside tour! They gave us some great keepsakes to take home too! We visited the gift shop and met Caroline, who was kind and patient and very helpful with our purchases. Morgan in the office was quick and efficient with our stay and helped us again with our last minute additional night's stay too. The house was clean and smelled fresh too. Coffee was provided for the next morning also. We met John S. who genuinely cared about the people who visited. Coach D introduced us and John took an immediate interest in our reasons for visiting. Real nice guy. The next day, we met Godfather Al who showed us around the property and shared some more great stories about the original property and Don Lansing. Al was absolutely wonderful and introduced us to Luci who runs the Dugout. We'd had a dog and a slushie of some sort the night before. Luci shared more about the history of the original restaurant space and we saw pictures of that space, before the renovation. Sooo very cool! Luci and Katie introduced us to Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream out of Wisconsin!! I am a fanatic for ice cream and this did not disappoint!! 🥰
Overall, our entire experience far exceeded our hopes and expectations! I would absolutely give up Seattle and relocate to Iowa any day! This is beautiful country - God's country!

Fantastic day

Very enjoyable and love learn the history Robert was very knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth the drive and the food was very tasty. Lot of changes since the last time I vistied

Magical Experience

By daveSterling_VA |

I wish there were SIX stars for this review. Magical experience I will never forget. Where else can you visit a movie site that was predominately filmed right there, no soundstages for this classic?! You can almost hear the voices! If you love the movie as much as I do, this MUST be on your travel list!

Great for a Girls Weekend.

By Beth M |

This was such a fabulous experience! We visited the Field of Dreams movie set as part of a girls weekend. We started the morning at our Airbnb in Dubuque, watching the movie so that it was fresh in our minds. And then we had some lunch and headed to Dyersville.

We had booked the house tour in advance. The cost was reasonable and so worth getting the “inside baseball” information on the movie, the house, how they came to choose that location, etc. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and kind.

We then took some great pictures, enjoyed a cool drink at the restaurant, strolled the gift shop and took in the sun from the bleachers.

A fabulous day and I’d do it all again!

(One tip: We were at Galena the day before, and I had no idea that some of the movie was shot there until our Field of Dreams House Tour the following day. There are lists you can find online that point out the movie spots in Galena. If you’re going to Galena anyway, be sure to look for one of those lists before you go.)

very cool

By Cal L |

we did the house tour and walked around outside. it was an amazing experience. the house tour was very informational and showed were different shots of the movie were filmed! baseball pitch was fun, they also let visitors use bats, balls, and gloves

Very Nice

By JFWhite |

Recently came here to visit as I was travelling in Iowa. Field very well maintained and clean. I was here first thing in the morning at sunrise and wasnt asked to pay a $20 entrance fee. Very nice to visit!

All We Had Hoped For!

By Jim M |

We were lucky to have warm, perfect weather in early October. Our tour guide through the house was superb and rich in stories of the film and site history. The entire visit was well worth the diversion from our direct route to Chicago and was all we'd hoped for in this spot made magical by the love of countless fans of the story!

It was particularly good to walk into the Dugout cafe and say "Dog and a beer!" in memory of James Earl Jones.

Overnight Visit With Our Family

By Robert C |

Our family visit to the Field of Dreams was exceptional. Craig greeted us when we arrived and gave us a great tour of the home. He shared many facts about the home and the filming of the movie. He really made us feel at home. We explored the property and spent time playing under the lights after the visitors had gone home. Later we watched the movie on the old classic TV in the living room. It was so nice to share this experience as a family, and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.

A wonderful experience

By Ben B |

Visiting the Field of Dreams movie site was on my bucket list for many years. I went to the site with my 20 year old son, who is a college baseball player. We loved every minute of it! We played catch on the field, took a tour of the house and bought some cool things in the gift shop. We also took lots of photos. The house tour guide was excellent! Thank you so much to the people who keep this movie site in such great shape so people like me can come and visit. To anyone who loves this movie like I do, this place is a must see!

Completely Worth It!

By Amie |

If you are a Field of Dreams fan, this is a MUST see! Highly recommend the house tour AND rewatching the movie before you go. The property is a beautifully maintained time capsule. There is a suggested donation for parking $20 (if you know you know), but the amount is not required, but you do get a sticker and a souvenir pin. Tickets for 2 for the house tour were $42 online and tipped our tour guide $10 (again not a requirement). We grabbed a couple small things from the gift shop, keeping our grand total under $100. We loved our visit!

Must see for baseball fans of all age!

By Becky C |

This has been on my bucket list and I finally made it there. It was well worth the trip. We did the house tour and Tom our guide was very helpful and informative. We got to sit on the porch of house and take it all in. Wandered out to the field and watch some kids play. Very enjoyable trip.

Great tour!

By Tammy A |

We were so pleasantly surprised with this tour! The information presented gave us an entirely new appreciation and perspective for the movie!

Very thorough tour - good to see the inside of the house where the filming was

By Phil M |

Craig did our home tour - we arrived at the site, did the needed catch with my wife and grandson that we brought, walked around the field area, grandson got to hit while some people were playing on the field, had some ice cream, shopped in the store, then did the next tour. We hadn't seen the movie in a while, and it was great to see each of the rooms and remember the movie segments that took place at the house. The tour was very thorough with all the desired information. Our grandson had never seen the movie, but on our drive home, he watched the whole movie on our phone, and loved it. Special memories!!

people came

By verdun2 |

If you've seen the movie, you know this field. The site was preserved and is open to the public. You can disappear into the cornfield, run the bases, play catch (there is a box with balls, bats, and gloves available) or just sit on the bleachers and enjoy the moment.

Baseball and movie enthusiasts will love the experience!

By Rick B |

Every baseball enthusiast or fan of the movie will love The Field of Dreams experience. The house tour is a must. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. Additionally, the farmland in the surrounding area makes for a beautiful drive.

Check this one off your bucket list!

By Anthony F |

Finally! This was on my bucket list. What a great experience. The house tour and the tour guide was fantastic. Brings back iconic scenes from the movie and what makes it so great. They have done a great job putting the house together as close as possible to what it looked like in the movie. The field is everything! You can play catch, run the bases, hit the ball, and venture out to see the cornfield. Worthy!

Cool to be on the movie site of this iconic film!

By nickelcitygirl |

When reading the marketing about the movie site, the lines were “walk into the corn” (no corn fields because of the time of year we visited), “take a guided home tour” (this was an extra cost; the next tour didn’t start for an hour and we didn't have time to stick around for an hour), “stop at the store” (we stopped at the store; very nice items but we found it to be quite expensive so didn't make any purchases), “grab a bite at the stretch” (this was not open), and “play some catch, run the bases” (bats and balls were available).
Admission was listed as free, but when we arrived there were signs indicating a suggested $20 donation, which gave you a bumper sticker and hat pin, and with a $50 donation, you received other items as well. A volunteer was at the gate, so we felt obligated to pay the $20, although I know we could have opted not to. When we weren't expecting to pay anything and only had time for a really quick stop, this was rather pricey for us (especially with the exchange, as $20 US is about $30 Canadian).
Although our short visit was somewhat disappointing for us, it was still cool to be on the site where this iconic movie was filmed! Makes me want to rewatch the movie!

Field of Dreams Movie Site Tour

The tour guide was an amazing, professional, and very insightful. I enjoyed the experience so much that I went back to watch the movie again as soon as I got home! Especially after knowing that I was there! I highly recommend this tour to anyone!

You Built It, and We Came!

By Rachel M |

It was a BEAUTIFUL July day! Perfect for spending time outside on the grounds. Very relaxing and nostalgic. The house tour was very interesting, especially learning about the history of the farm and behind-the-scenes facts. Wish we could have seen the upstairs!

He Built IT...We Came...

By Karen B |

"If you build it"....well, we all will come! What a fantastic movie site experience. On a hot summers day we encountered dozens of kids playing baseball at The Field of Dreams, living their own real life movie script. The grounds are beautiful surrounded by those well known corn fields. You cannot walk into the fields but you can get a feel for the movie right on the edge of the fields. The house is just as you remember from the movie. My husband even sat on the front porch watching the game. The tour is well worth it as you get inside tips on how the movie was made and the different events/problems they encountered. We even got to watch a portion of the movie sitting on the couch in the house where the movie was filmed. Such a great experience.
There is a cafe on site and a very substandard store with nothing really that related to the movie.

Wonderful experience

By Sara R |

We had beautiful weather and was a fantastic experience! The narrative story of the house was excellent. Highly recommend!

A heavenly experience!

By Lee R |

An exciting experience to play in the field, tour the farm house and learn more about the film and the making of the film and then got to see the “ghosts” perform and interact with them. A really wonderful time!!

It gave me such a good feeling inside. I want to bring back my son and his family to experience the same thing.

By Yvonne K |

I love all the historical information that our guide Tom gave us. He was friendly and answered all our questions. Would love to come back again and do the tour.

As if I was dipped in magic waters.

By Terry T |

It was awesome, and more than I expected with the house tour. I had a catch with my beautiful wife and we swung on the front porch. It was a most wonderful day.

Bucket list fulfilled!!!

By Richard H |

First time to visit was not disappointed this could be considered a bucket list of mine. Definitely pay for the house tour Tom our tour guide was great. Our next time there we are considering staying in the house, loved it that much.

Where is the famous ‘white line’ ??

By Karl J |

Where is the white line (painted small rocks) that Dr Graham crossed to change his life??? An absolute key scene in the movie and not at the field. This was my ONLY disappointment, everything else was very well done.

Fantastic experience in a small community ❤️

By Trinity C |

Cindy was the first person we interacted with upon arriving. She was so very kind and knowledgeable! Talking to her was a great welcome to the Field of Dreams. From there we walked around the field, played some catch, and just enjoyed all it had to offer before starting our tour of the house. Tom was very kind as well and gave a great tour full of interesting information and history! It was incredible to hear about how much the community came together to make this all a reality. Towards the end of the tour I ended up needing to step out and Tom was kind enough to check in on me and his wife had made pumpkin bars for the tour and they were delicious as well!

Highly recommend going if not for the field alone, for the tour and the gift shops and bar/grill. It is a beautiful site to see even for those who aren't baseball fanatics. I had a great time and my husband got to check off his #1 item on his bucket list while on our honeymoon!

Field of dreams definitely worth the trip!

By Trey R |

Craig was an awesome tour guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly! The home is beautiful and the field is incredible! We loved learning the history of the site and the movie making processes involved.

Pure magic

By Passport39562166723 |

The movie set is truly magical! It was everything I wanted it to be! As a grown man I almost cried during the home tour! Listening to the "They will come" speach while standing in the house was other worldly!

Great Bucket List Stop

By dsaxon9454 |

Bucket list experience checked off for us! We've loved the movie since it came out and wanted to come visit. Our tour was delightful and it was great to sit on the bleachers and just breathe it all in.

We got to tour the house and heard all sorts of trivia we had never heard before. Great experience! There was no corn when we were there, but it didn't matter. Still a great day!

Field Of Memories

By Paul B |

Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area! If you’re a fan of the movie, this will bring back memories. The tour of the house is worth the cost. The staff was amazing.

I'm the coach of a little league team. I stayed at the house and let some of the kids stay with my daughter and I. The experience of staying in the home and playing on the field with my team is something that we will never forget.

Field of Dreams - Stay in the House!

By Vicki K |

We visited the Field of Dreams Movie Site and stayed overnight in the house. We were greeted by Yogi, a very friendly staff member, upon our arrival. He went above and beyond, by opening the Dugout for us to have a drink, and gave us a tour of the event center. Then Robert gave us a great tour of the house with lots of fun history about the making of the movie. We were able to turn the lights on at night, and play on the field for a bit. It was great watching the actual movie (provided) while in the house. Overall, a GREAT experience!

Memories that will stay with us forever

By Jacob K |

We are a baseball family - everyone has played competitively, has lived and breathed the game since they were in diapers, and cherish baseball-related activities. We spent a night here to celebrate our dad's 60th birthday, a testament to the coach and player we have always looked up to. Staying at the Field of Dreams - the tour at check in, having a catch on the field, spending the evening - left memories that will stay with us forever.

Awesome day at Field of Dreams Movie Sight

By FAITHANN D |

It was an amazing experience. Would have been better if the concession stand was open to have a hot dog in the stands, but we had fun anyway. The house tour was very informative. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Truly... a dream come true. For two Colorado baseball people.

By neilcarlberg |

My birthday gift to my wife this year was a trip to the Field of Dreams, in Dyersville, Iowa. We're "baseball people" and we love and know the movie well. It was in fact, a Dream come true. The grounds are immaculate. The staff amazing. And to stay in the farmhouse overnight... unreal. The highlight being going out at around 9:00 p.m., when we were the only ones on site, turning on the field lights and "having a catch" for about an hour or so.

The main level of the home is preserved with many of the original movie props and other great historical tidbits of baseball. You'll watch the movie from the exact old boxie tv, with a VCR sitting on top of it, that is pictured in the movie. The DVD is provided and available to you. To watch a scene, and then look across the room to that exact wall, or kitchen, or bookshelf... so very cool.

The upper level has three beautiful bedrooms and a very nice bathroom. The primary bedroom has a huge picture window overlooking the field.

Even though we stayed up late, you've just gotta get up to have your morning coffee on the front porch swing, overlooking the field. A nice Keurig machine is provided in the kitchen.

A couple of the staff members that were especially exceptional- our "Ghost Player" (Craig) was fabulous. So much great information and so well presented. Our tour guide of the home (Tom) was incredible. He really knows the house and history inside and out, time and money well spent. Do the tour! The Dugout (on-site restaurant) serves up tasty burger and dog, along with a cold beer. Really tasty.

What a magical place!

By slandry1042 |

What a magical place! The field, the house and the corn fields are perfection! It was also nice to meet the gentleman dressed as a ghost player, he was so friendly and made sure we were able to get a picture as a family. We also took a tour of the house with Craig and he was full of knowledge about the property and the filming of the movie.

Excellent experience

By Russell L |

Outstanding tour of the movie set house with our guide Tom. The entire grounds were exactly as we remembered the movie. Great parking area large enough to fit our 40' RV.

Loved it

By Bucko2013 |

Booked this tour for a surprise for my partner Tony's birthday, we absolutely love the film so visited the field and toured the kinsella house. This was just rhe most amazing day, we got to play on the field with the equipment they have, we got to have fun taking pictures in the corn fields. The house tour was fantastic, really well organised and the lovely gentleman who did the tour was engaging and fun and really swee and took time to take our photos on the porch. The memorabilia is fantastic and in the dug out cafe too. We had the best day and to top it off there was an elderly gentleman's soft ball game in the evening which was so much fun. What a great place, welldone to everyone for there hard work in creating such a lovely place for us all to enjoy

Must See!!

By milams2 |

If you loved the movie this is a must see!! Make sure to pop into The Dug Out for a drink
Staff was friendly and helpful. The tour guide was very informative about the history of the house and the movie making process.

Perfect 1/2 day attraction

By Kristy P |

Tom was awesome! Very informative and full of not only movie knowledge but town knowledge. His wive’s pumpkin bars were a sweet bonus!

Worth a Visit

By Regina A |

Honestly better than expected, although a little more costly than expected, too. Parking asked for a $20 donation, but there was no additional charge to go out on the field. The tour of the house was well worth the next $20 out of my pocket. It was interesting and our tour guide Molly was friendly and a wealth of information. There is a snack bar and gift shop that we did not visit. The only rest rooms on-site are port-a-pottys.

Exceeded our expectations, which were high

By David H |

Of course, we had a special attachment to the movie Field of dreams, or we probably would not have gone in the first place. Given that our experience exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed exploring the house. We enjoyed spending the afternoon watching people enjoying themselves by walking around and having a catch. The corn in the outfield was just about as amazing in person as it was in the movie. You just seem to disappear from you when you walk slowly into the corn, we had an amazing time and would recommend it to others.

All About the Game

By Kathy C |

I spent a month traveling national parks in N and S Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota and Wisconsin. This was the highlight of my travels. But then it’s all about the game, right? Loved every minute.

Everyone should go a least once. The atmosphere brings you back to the ball field as a kid.

By Mary L |

Wonderful experience! Hubby go to hit some balls and run the bases. We were able to take the tour of the house. Beautiful home! Had some refreshments at the dugout, and left with a few souviners. The pictures and memories were the best.
Everyone should make it a point to visit Field of Dreams!

This really is a field of dreams

By Diane R |

We had an amazing time at the Field of Dreams. We took the tour of the farm house. Our tour guide, Tom, was knowledgeable about the field and the local area. You have free roam of the baseball field. There is extra baseball equipment in case you didn’t bring anything. We absolutely loved it!

Field of Dreams visit was great!

By Lee B |

Tom gave an excellent house tour, including a recap of the movie shoot and the entire baseball experience at the site. The gift shop sales clerk was very courteous and helpful. The site is virtually just as we saw it in the movie. Any baseball fan, and their family, should consider adding it to their bucket list. The feelings generated are identical to those I felt at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.

One of a kind experience!

By Marshall K |

Fantastic tour with an incredible amount of information! The tour guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and kind. She took all questions and you could really tell she enjoyed having us as visitors.

Excellent and informative.

Appreciate the opportunity to actually walk the field. The tour guide at the house tour was very informative and extremely professional.

Movie House Tour with Tom

By Aaron S |

I didn’t want to add too many pictures to take away from your experience. However, Tom’s tour was great. Very personal talking points by local former farmer. We’re so glad we had Tom as a tour guide you could feel from his talks this was very special for him and made it special for us.

Thank you,

The Stafford from NJ - go Yankees!

A Unique Experience

By Gayle W |

My husband and I both enjoyed the movie, so we wanted to experience the Field of Dreams movie site. We were glad we went. The site is very nicely kept. The farmhouse tour was nice - a bit pricey, but it was a one-time trip that we really enjoyed. Our tour guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable about the making of the movie and the history of the house. Tom was welcoming and offered to take any pictures we asked, with our phones.

I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice the little town of Dyersville was. It has many old farmhouse type homes and they all seemed to be well loved and taken care of. I only noticed one house that had weeds grown up in the front yard.

Overall, this was a very nice little trip!

Wonderful Experience - Iowa nice!!!

By Dale B |

"Field of Dreams" movie site was more than we expected! We visited with two of our grandkids ages 11 and 12. The 11-year-old boy is really into baseball and loved that we could "have a catch" on the field, hit some balls, and run the bases. The house tour by Craig was very informative and interesting. There was also a "ghost guide" by the field giving his narration of the movie making events. He happened to be a landowner around there who was in the running for the movie site, so his take was very personal.

We are thinking a field trip to there with the boy's baseball entire team. It is a good day trip from the Chicago area (2-3 hours each way, and 2-3 on the site).

The have a nice gift shop, bar and restaurant, concession stand, and ice cream stand.

Recommended for all "Field of Dreams" and baseball fans.

Awesome time!

By Vanna C |

Our group of 6 really enjoyed the Field of Dreams Movie Site and Home Tour. If you're a fan of the movie, the tour is a must do! It was cool to see the home the movie was filmed in, and learn more about the background of how this home was selected as the movie site. It was surreal to actually get to play baseball on the field and sit in the bleachers and on the porch swing. Such a fun experience!

Magical Experience

By Danielle W |

We took this trip to honor my Dad, who recently passed away. He loved the movie, and had visited the site. The property was well maintained, the house tour was informative and interesting, but the best part was playing catch on the baseball diamond. We enjoyed eating hot dogs and brats, and enjoyed the corn beer. Truly a magical place.

"Is This Heaven?"

By Dennis Y |

Craig was a great tour guide during the house tour! You can feel his passion for the place and what it means. The whole experience at Field of Dreams was wonderful for me and my daughter (both big fans of the movie). Cannot recommend this enough!!

Our Night Under the Lights and in the House at Field of Dreams

By Shirley B |

Our group was able to book the last open night this summer at the Field of Dreams House. The guided tour of the house was informative, and gave us great behind the scenes insight to how the movie pick this area and property. the outside of the house and surrounding ground are exactly as they appear in the film, which really is magical. Though the inside of the house isn't set up as an exact replica, its still very charming and exhibits the spirt of the film.

We all agreed that the beds in each room and the pillows deserve a shoutout! they were extremely comfortable. The only minor complaint was lack of washcloths.

Not only the boys favorite part of our stay, but also the adults favorite was our one our on the field under the lights after everyone else was gone. This happened from 9:3-10:30pm. I will admit it was hard to see the ball at night but is was amazing to run the bases and play out there. We had an absolute blast! We all felt like kids again. They also provide a tote with balls, gloves, and bats etc, if you don't have your own to play with. Which is so thoughtful.

We can't recommend this enough. Even if you can book a night and stay at the house, you can visit the field, and the museum. There is also a restaurant and ice cream shop on property. We were sad, that we missed the Ghost visit that made an appearance the day we arrived.

Truly worth the visit for fans of the movie that love baseball

By Jamie B |

I am so happy to have visited the field of dreams site. Having grown up watching the movie, the visit was what a person passionate about baseball would want to see. A perpetual baseball game that when someone new arrives, you join in on the game. The corn stalks are not available for walking through, but the grounds are a blast and the sideline benches are available, for those that love to movie, you can picture where Terrance Mann was sitting in the movie. It was well worth the visit.

Wonderful!

By Melinda F |

we really enjoyed visiting the Field of Dreams. The tour was amazing as well as the house and our tour guide.

Thank you for keeping this field of dreams alive!

All the staff at the field of dreams was great to work with.

Wonderful Family Trip!

This was a place we always wanted to see, and finally got there with our 2 boys. It was every bit of magic we hoped it would be! We stayed the night in the house- and it was something we will never forget!! Bucket List item for sure :)

Cute stop over

By Shelley |

No entry fee but they take donations. You pay for tours of the house. They have a gift shop and small restaurant with burgers. Place is well kept and looks just like the movie scenes

Thanks Tourguide Tom!

By Mary H |

Tom was an excellent tour guide on our tour of the first floor of the farmhouse. We learned lots of history of the house both during and after the movie making. He took our picture on tbr front porch swing, and told us about the overnight option! We had to watch the movie that evening and were excited about seeing all the similarities.

Is this heaven? No, it’s Iowa

A cornfield in Iowa brought back memories of a very meaningful movie and my Dad. The house tour was awesome and added to the experience!

GREAT VISIT - FIELD OF DREAMS

By Lisa B |

ALOT of fun and a local friendly game of baseball going on made it fun to watch. House Tour was excellent! A number of interesting facts about the movie, the farm owner, and all the charity events the organization does

Informative, inspirational, incredible experience

By Keith M |

Tom was our tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He is very passionate in telling the story of the farmhouse and field. Tom offered to take pictures of us and was genuinely interested in our enjoyment of the whole experience. We had a wonderfully memorable time.

Seemed like Heaven to us too.

By Kari B |

We had the most amazing time! The house tour was great, guide answered questions and made it exciting for kids. We had the chance to play ball on the field, sat on the bleachers and enjoyed the view while eating ice cream. It was truly a favorite day for our family.

Amazing Field of Dreams Home Tour that should not be missed.

By Karen V |

The field was amazing and more than I had expected. We took tons of photos and videos of corn and baseball fields that were so much fun. The option to create your own baseball card is really great! The house tour was also amazing and Molly our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour, and hope you get Molly as a guide.

Simply amazing!

By Ruth Ann J |

It was a perfect day - the rain held off so that was a bonus! Our house tour guide, Tom, was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable and truly enjoyed his time with our group! We loved learning so much about the behind the scenes of one of our favorite baseball movies and walking through the corn! Playing catch and watching my husband pitch some baseballs was great fun! It exceeded all our expectations!

By Wayne D |

It was everything and more than what we thought it would be. So much to do and see. The house tour was exceptional. Great gift store. The ghost player is awesome to talk to. They are out only a couple days a week.

Dan's solo trip to the Field of Dreams

By Dan M |

I went to the field on June 19 and 20 and there were a lot of people there. I toured the house on the 20th at 2:30 and suggested to a woman that she sit on the stairs just like Annie did in the movie. I thought that the photos would be a nice memory for her, just like they were for me. The tour guide Craig shared a lot of history about the field and filming the movie and he was awesome. I last went there about 3 years ago and I was glad to see that another tour guide Clarence and his wife were still working there. They are so nice and helpful and made the visit so much more enjoyable!

We loved it!

By Ann |

We are driving cross country and were within 50 miles so we decided to visit. We are so glad we did! What a fun experience! We loved seeing the house and the baseball diamond surrounded by cornfields. When we went they were trying to have the largest game of catch going and handed out baseballs. Curtis Pride was there and they screened the movie Rally Caps under the stars. The staff and the “ghost players” were all so nice and just seemed to genuinely love being there. It is worth the trip for sure.

An Out of Towners' View

Excellent tour. Robert was a very good guide. Affable, and knowledegable. Highly recommended. A lot of details that complement my knowledge of the movie.

Great time at Field of Dreams Movie Site!

By Brandon H |

Our family had a great time and loved every second of the trip to the Field of Dreams Movie Site. The house tour was our favorite.

Very informative with great backstories on the property.

By Happiness21076531545 |

I decided to visit the Field of Dreams movie site and while there took the tour of the home. Tom was the tour guide on this day and he did an absolutely tremendous job. Very knowledgeable of the history of the area and the previous owners of the home and how this particular home was selected by the movie producers. It is well worth the time to check out the inside of the home and hear the many cool stories surrounding the making of Field of Dreams. As stated Tom was very knowledgeable and an extremely nice man.

Great time!!!

By Dana O |

Had a great time! It was middle of the week, so no crowds. Our tour guide was to able to spend extra time with us and learn a lot about how the house was used in the movie and the plans for the surrounding area. To old to run the bases, but did be a ghost player coming out of the corn.

Perfect family day!

By Angela V |

We did the house tour, threw the ball on the field, ate lunch and shopped.
The night before everyone watched the movie again. This helped us really appreciate the tour and plaques we read throughout the property.

A True Dream

By tearth23 |

Amazing stay. The home and site are so magical. Craig offers such a thoughtful tour of the home. Communication with the staff was terrific.

Highly recommended for baseball fans!

By Jason G |

This was better then I anticipated! Great day with my son!! Everything there brought back a lot of memories from the movie 30 some years ago, baseball, family etc. If you are a baseball fan, this place has to be on your bucket list!!

Great!

By Diane B |

We haven't visited FOD for about 5 years so we were impressed with the upgrades. Our tour of the house made the visit even more enjoyable. Tom did such an amazing job describing all the details leading up to and the filming of the movie. Thanks again Tom! We're even considering a stay over in the house next year.
Friends from Wisconsin!

BEST!

By Angie P |

The experience for our family was by far the best! The tour was very informative and nostalgic. I love the expansion that is coming and hope to be back!

And the people do come!

By John G |

Pretty much what I expected but it was a nice time! Recommend getting there at 9am when they open. For a place with almost no signed advertising it does a busy business on weekends!

Every College Baseball Hitter's Dream!

By Melinda |

What a wonderful adventure! My son, a pitcher at Cornell College, was able to share this Field of Dreams with his Grandfather, who pitched for the University of Texas at Austin in the 1960's! What a joy to hit one out into the field where dreams are made. Both grandparents loved the house tour as well, filled with nostalgia, history and a love of the game.

Absolutely Amazing!

By Vincent D |

An absolutely amazing experience if you're a fan of the movie! The tour of the farmhouse was great as was our tour guide Tom. The field is beautifully kept. A once in a lifetime experience! Loved every minute!

Excellent visit

By Loretta H |

My husband and I decided to stop here on the 4th of July 2025. We were on our way home to Omaha and took the quick detour north off I-80. Best decision! We got greeted by a lovely woman at the entrance, and were told about the tour of house given by Tom. He was so informative, kind and alive all great guy.

Molly was a fantastic tour guide!!! We enjoyed every minute of our tour. The whole experience was totally awesome!!
We loved the baseball card photo option. Everyone was having a great time and all were so friendly. Beautiful place and so pretty. Well maintained.

First time in Iowa

By Stephanie R |

We arrived and were, of course, immediately sucked in to the atmosphere. After walking the field and having a catch, we made our way to the yard for our house tour. We had Tom, who was knowledgable about the history of the house, baseball, and culture of Iowa. His passion for sharing his experience and perspective made him a captivating host, and his generosity in answering questions made all feel welcome.
His wife even made us pumpkin bars :)
Thank you for a magical experience.

Wonderful baseball experience! All you could hope for! Definitely take the house tour! Well worth it. Nice tour guides! A++++

FIELD OF DREAMS

By Pj L |

As a baseball fan who watched Field of Dreams over 30 years ago, this trip to the filming location was everything I had hoped for and more. Craig was an excellent tour guide, and The Dugout was the perfect spot to recap the experience and enjoy a bite to eat.

A Real Life Dream

By Sherpa47275004082 |

Staying at the Field of Dreams Movie Site farmhouse was fittingly a dream come true for my dad and nephew, and the rest of our family of course. A once-in-a-lifetime experience and a MUST for any baseball and movie fan.

All of the staff were wonderfully welcoming and kind, and our tour guide Tom is a gem of a person.

Thank you so much for having us and we hope to return again someday.

Cheers,
Jason Boone

Iowa IS heaven, Field of Dreams does makes dreams come true

By Bart Z |

We had driven 12 1/2 hours (over 2 days) from Manitoba, Canada as part of a surprise for my 50th birthday (9 months prior). "Field of Dreams" is my all-time favourite movie and visiting it is on my bucket list. It was rainy the day before, but the baseball gods smiled on us with a sunny morning as we were the third car to arrive for the day (it rained again after we left). We pretty much had the field to ourselves to explore and got great pictures and video of myself, my wife and two teens walking into and out of the corn. My son snuck 2 gloves into his suitcase so we were able to have a catch in the same spot Ray and John did (lump in your throat moment). Had a quintessential baseball lunch of a dog, beer and cracker jack. Took a few cuts at the plate and put several pitches into the outfield, which is tough with an aluminum bat without a cushioned grip lol. Picked up 2 hats and 2 tshirts at the gift shop run by Baseballism which has a great selection across many collections. We took a tour of the house and even though our guide Molly was dealing with a concussion she got 2 days before, she did a thorough job showing the house and answering questions. Well done Molly.
We weren't allowed to go to the MLB stadium which suited me fine as that was not what we went to see anyway. We spent 4 hours at the Field of Dreams (which seemed like a blink of an eye). Those 4 hours are seared into our memories forever and I'll always have some dirt, a ball that played on the Field of Dreams, the memory of hitting some pitches and having a catch with my own son.
John Kinsella is right. It IS heaven.
Thank you Field of Dreams for making our dreams come true.

Step back in time!

Incredible location that still looks like the scenes from the movie, from some 35 years ago. Took me right back to 1989 and let me relive some of my young adult years.

A special place in the middle of nowhere

By Kayli M |

Goosebumps all day. What a special place. Only splurge on the house tour if you're a huge fan, I was on one with kids who were bored to tears but the info was very interesting!!

I completed a “bucket list” item and everything about it exceeded my expectations.

By Djc |

Both the home tour guide and the ghost player were VERY knowledgeable about the movie and the movie site and were very happy to take questions.

The tour was very cool, u walk in and see the kitchen where multiple scene take place and you get to see the house

By Natalie A |

Getting a tour of the house was a very cool thing to see, and I definitely recommend it. My tour guide was Molly and she was a very cheerful tour guide that did a great job showing and explaining my everything in the house. 10/10 wonderful experience definitely recommend.

We can check off one more item on our Bucket List!

By LB |

Tour guide was excellent. You could tell he loved his job and was very good at it. Made the whole experience more memorable!

If you love the movie, it’s a memorable location to visit.

By Robin G |

We had a blast at the F of D, even though it wasn’t bordered by corn. We love the movie and we had so much fun playing out on the baseball field. We were fortunate to go at a time that wasn’t crowded so we had time to enjoy it. Met some really nice people and the grounds are so well kept. We even watched the movie after we went there.

Dream trip of a lifetime!

By sridd29 |

This was a bucket list item and it did not disappoint! I have loved this movie ever since its release. We did a ghost game event and reserved the porch swing to watch the game. I was in my element. The only things missing were Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones and Dwier Brown. It wasn’t just Iowa, it truly was Heaven.

They built it so I came

By Brian B |

Beautiful and magical experience! The movie is very sentimental to me and finally seeing it in person was a true dream come true. We did the guided tour of the farmhouse and couldn't believe how small the inside really is. Looking out from the porch and hearing the People will come Ray speech from James Earl Jones that was playing on tv was absolutely surreal. We walked in the corn and strolled around the bases. Kids were playing catch with smiles everywhere. Thank you for the experience.

Stepping back into the past

By Brian B |

I went with my wife, best friend from childhood and his wife. It was fun playing catch on the field and touring the house. My friend and I used to play baseball together in the neighborhood as kids. I would like to come back sometime may bring the grandkids. Thank you!

Absolutely Magical

By fdlfan |

If you're on the fence about doing the overnight stay here - DO IT!! It was absolutely wonderful. The house was clean, well maintained and staff were amazing! Sitting on the porch swing watching baseball on The Field of Dreams was absolutely magical. The master bedroom bed was so comfortable and the view from the bay window was breathtaking in the morning. The onsite restaurant was very good. So happy we made these memories!!

By Emanuel L |

We were pleasantly surprised on the whole experience. The food was very good, the parking was easy. The person that conducted the Tour was very personable and pleasant. We did workout with some catching between the two of us. We would come back again. Thank you

A lot of information!

By d and d |

As far as the house itself, there is not much to see, but the tour guide, Craig, is wonderful. He is passionate and has so much interesting information not only about the house but the filming of the movie.

A magical experience!

By Tanya R |

This was one of the most magical trips our family has ever taken! To experience the iconic movie for ourselves was a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ll never forget. From the farmhouse to the porch swing, to the corn fields, to the ball field… everything was perfect and magical!

Best decision ever!!

By Cynthia S |

I was so happy that we added this stop on our vacation, it was the highlight for us. The only thing was I did not bring our gloves just so that We could say we played on the Field of Dreams!
