Never A Bad Show!

By sandybottom2014 |

You might think Appleton is a small city with small time entertainment. Not so. The PAC bring the best of what Broadway has to offer. The theater is beautiful!! The shows are top notch! There are no bad seats. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. Within a 100 mile radius this definitely is the place to go for concerts or theater. Parking gets a little congested (not horrible) so give yourself extra time. You will not leave the PAC disappointed!

Wonderful Performance Venue

By Ellen B |

My husband and I just attended the opening concert of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center It was a wonderful concert, featuring violinist Jeanyi Kim, who joined the orchestra for Brahms Violin Concerto in D Major, Op.11. She was transcendent, making the violin sing with subtle nuances.

I also want to mention the first two pieces, Benjamin Krause’s Brief as Lightning (world premiere) and Margaret Bonds Montgomery Variations.

We are so fortunate to have the Fox Cities PAC as a performance venue for these amazing artists! I’ve often compared it to a jewel box; it is so beautiful and has such amazing acoustics, you can hear each nuance of all the instruments!

fantastic venue

By roadtrippersx2Chicao |

2nd time making the trip north from northern Illinois for a show with family. Love the venue and they put on Broadway quality shows in smaller town America. Out of the 4 of us, I was the only one who had never seen Phantom of the Opera. This production, along with a live orchestra, was somewhat different from the original but we all agreed it was done to perfection. Wish I lived closer, would attend more often.

First rate facility

By Tdawson48 |

I've attended a wide variety of performances at this venue. The acoustics are top notch, the seats are comfortable, visiblility is good, internal traffic flows well, the staff and volunteers are friendly and competent. I'd recommend this for just about any type of stage show. Parking and restaurants are conveniently located nearby, with free on street parking within a few blocks.

Celtic Women Concert

By Gregory B |

A wonderful modern venue for music, theatre and speeches. Comfortable seats with good sight line and acoustics. Main Street in the heart of Appleton with very affordable parking. Plenty of places nearby for food and drink!

BRIGHT STAR IN DOWNTOWN APPLETON, WISCONSIN

By poetmaker |

This is a beautiful addition to the Fox Valley--you are never far from the stage--good sight lines--good acoustics--great parking close--many eating and drinking establishments within walking distance for before and after performances--great variety of shows throughout the season

Phantom of The Opera

By Dawn C |

I saw Phantom of The Opera and the FCPAC and it was an amazing experience. The Venue and staff were outstanding. Two Thumbs Up!

A lot of Variety @ all price ranges.

By kthomas1561 |

I don't get the opportunity to attend the theater as much as I like. I work a lot and when I go it is a great treat. I went to "The King and I " last year and " American in Pairs". These are two favorites of mine. They were both fabulous. The lighting was great, acting , scenery and music. I went solo, but I even had a chance to run into my friend /cousin and her husband at the one performance.I didn't expect them that night, but it was a great surprise and made the evening even better. What a fabulous place for a great evening out.

Wonderful Performing Arts Center

By WONDERLUST18 |

Appleton is so fortunate to have such a great venue. I have been to some small and a handful of large productions here and all were wonderful experiences.
The building is all handicap accessible with Valet parking or convenient parking across the street.

Very Nice Time

By Kirstin H |

I have now taken my children to 2 shows at the PAC. One was Beauty and the Beast and recently to The Lion King. Both of the shows were fantastic, however our experience at Beauty and the Beast was much better just because of the people surrounding us. We sat fairly close for Beauty and the Beast, for The Lion King we sat in the Family Circle area and will NEVER again. While these are the most economical seats and the view is fine they allow school groups to get seats here and the "kids" teenagers were horrilby behaved to the point that we actually complained to the ushers who did nothing about it. It pretty much ruined the show for us and those around us who actually wanted to be there. It was a real let down..

Body Guard

By Ellen P |

Excellent. As a season ticket holder, this was One of the best shows I've seen. The cast did a fantastic job and as always the PAC staff was on their toes.

Superior intertainment!

By lindasJ6187TD |

Always well done. Very well run and offers big shows. An excellent venue 100 percent guaranteed wonderful experience.

Great Variety of Performances

By Wrigley48 |

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center offers a great variety of performances. As a long time Weidner Center member, I appreciate such a line- up. The seating is a little disappointing but the location dictated the design. The recent performance of the Lion King was outstanding. I recommend that patrons park in the lot by the Paper Valley Hotel. It is much easier to get into and out of than the one by the Center.

Always a good time

By Wendy K |

I've attended multiple performances and have always appreciated the help and positive attitude of the volunteers. The shows are top quality and every seat has a good view.

Always delightful

By MissWisc |

Saw Beauty and the Beast. Nice show for the whole family. Always a good time a the PAC in Appleton. Good place to take the kids.

Beautiful venue

By Laura H |

Many productions offered in this wonderful, state of the art facility and a great addition to the city. First run productions to the state arrive here and generate alot of excitement. Not a bad seat in the building, I prefer the first floor center. I you want a seat closer to the stage sit in rows C-F they are very nice. Want to sit further back R-U give a full view of the stage and the seats gradually slope up as you move back in the PAC. Want a more affordable ticket sit in the Grand Tier or Family circle. They have no center aisle and the seat are arranged in a 1/2 circle. I like to sit 2-3 rows back for the best view as they have rails in front of the 1st row of seats. The PAC is located downtown and there are many places for food and drink. Make this your next destination for entertainment .

Broadway in Appleton

By Jennifer K |

Fox Cities PAC is a great place to see Broadway shows without travelling to New York. While the other shows performed there are good, too, the Broadway shows are my favorite. The PAC also has a great, friendly staff ready to assist. A great place for fine arts!

First Visit, Nick Offerman: All Rise

By ChelleColleen |

My husband and I opted to attend the Nick Offerman: All Rise show at the PAC. We’d never been here before and were unaware of what to expect.

While made aware of items that could/could not be brought in to the facility, we were unaware of pre show alcohol and beverage sales, and that these could be brought into the theatre itself. This knowledge would have lead us to arrive at the facility earlier.

Our seats, in the Grand Tier were nearly centered, but the rows are cramped and everyone in your direct row feels really on top of one another. Whenever someone new needs to join the row-everyone basically stands to do the wave in order for them to pass through.

The parking situation, if you’re self parking in the garage is easy enough going in, but it’s quite a wait just to get out of your parking space to get out. So I would highly recommend paying the extra coin to have your vehicle valet parked, especially if anyone in your party has a difficulty walking. If you do, however, choose to park in the garage-Sal’s is open until 3am if you wanna grab a slice of pizza as you wait out the clearing of the parking garage.

Wonderful!

By ESCamping |

Went to the show Hamilton. And have been to Lion King, Wicked, and others at PAC. Every experience was good. All of the seating is good. Everyone should see at least one show here. I'd bet they'd see more..

Fantastic!

By Tony T |

Great place to see a play or concert. Plenty of reasonable nearby parking, two nice hotels within a block and lots of great places for food and drink before and after the show!

Weird Al....

By nosilla |

Went here to see Weird Al. The show itself is AMAZING!!! The one negative I had, was their website stated "bring your lightsabers" - a common thing to bring to a Weird Al show. When we got there, this very grouchy employee said- put those back in your car!!! Not a big deal, but their website shouldn't have said to bring them, and I didn't need this man getting a huge attitude with me for really no reason. He was greeting all the VIP guests and showing them where to go. Once my husband returned from dropping the lighsabers off, this man would not even look at us! It was really weird! The rest of the staff here was very, very nice so hopefully the "grumpy old man" won't be there next time I go. But, imagine my surprise when later on I saw another person was allowed to bring an entire accordion inside of it's large case, into the show, after we were screamed at that there was "NOTHING ALLOWED IN!" I will go here again, since they have great shows, but this one staff member is the reason there is not a fifth star.

Not a bad seat in the house!

By AlvinG53 |

I've been a patron here since their very first season. Have seen everything from wild stage shows to one man performances and have never been disappointed by the experience.

Great place!

By Melanie R |

The PAC yearly hosts the All City Strings festival among it's other many performances. There really isn't a bad seat here and anything I've seen here is well executed as far as getting in, seated, and getting out. The performance groups they host are phenomenal. Go see a show!

Great venue

By Rowing_Queen |

I was just at the Appleton Performing Arts Center to attend the Lawrence Kaleidoscope concert. This place is amazing! Great views of College Avenue and the auditorium itself is simply awesome. i don't think there would be a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are unbelievable.

And I'd like to add that the staff and volunteers are always very helpful and friendly.

Great Shows

By twosteps4wardonline |

Great variety of shows! Great location--right downtown so there are many places to eat and to have a drink before or after the shows.

Wonderful Venue!

By Diane B |

I have been to the PAC many, many times and each time I am amazed at the venue for a smaller community such as Appleton. Each seat is good but the Orchestra sections are really the best seats in the house. From musicals to the symphony, it is a wonderful place to visit.

Variety of offerings

By TravelDog |

We have had season tickets to the PAC for years so we visit about 10 times a year. I've also been going to the Weidner Center in Green Bay for 20 yrs so I feel I have a solid experiential comparison. What I love about the PAC is the variety of shows. They do a great job of bringing in a lot of different entertainment. I truly appreciate that. I do have a few things that would not rate a 10 in my book. The sound system for the musicals can best be described as having a "tinny" output. It's not the beautiful sound you would expect to hear at a theater of this quality.

I am regularly disappointed with the seating. The designer/architect put too shallow of a slope on the main stage floor. That means you are bobbing left and right throughout the show to see around people's heads. It can be very frustrating, especially for kids. Get the booster seat for sure. We do not have that same problem at the Weidner Center.

The other concern is the length of the rows in the upper tiers. There are no middle aisles. If you are in the center of the row, do not plan on getting out during intermission to hit the restroom or catch a drink. You will not have enough time. Think about getting closer to the aisle, but be prepared to get up and down a lot while a dozen people have to get past you to be seated.

All this being said, it's still a great place to see a good show,

Great Small Town Feel

By Kitty1024 |

Our son for Christmas gave us tickets for Les Miz. We have been here several times before for just dance recitals for our granddaughter but never a full play before. We had a 1st row balcony seat which was comfortable with plenty of leg room. The sound was very good, the volume was at acceptable levels. Getting to your seats are nice more with angled ramps that staircases, they also have elevators for the handicap. The only negative which was not their fault was all the road construction around the theater.

All seats are good seats

By deniseK1154CT |

This venue has so many great activities all year round for the whole family. I have sat in various seat locations and honestly, there is no bad seat. The theatre is set up so everyone will enjoy every show.

Beautiful Facility!

By felmax |

My husband and I saw "Kinky Boots" at this facility last evening. We have seen other shows here as well. It is a short, 25-minute drive for us to get here. It is conveniently located in downtown Appleton. There is ample parking. The interior is very well maintained, and easy to navigate. Seating is comfortable. We had orchestra seats, which provided a perfect view of the stage. We arrived a couple of hours before showtime. This allowed us to enjoy a relaxing dinner downtown before showtime, just 3 blocks from the theater. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the theater. Therefore, if you would like to have dinner before a show, there is ample opportunity. We are already looking to attending another show here soon.

Great shows

By Sarah U |

There is not a bad seat here you can see and you can also hear. (For those of us who are hard of hearing. )

Uncomfortable seats

By KimTRiOUBFinlandia |

The show (Wicked) was totally worth the discomfort I felt. The seats are a little too narrow, and there wasn't enough leg room for a larger person.
Other than that, the venue itself is beautiful.

The shows are awesome!

By Lois P |

Went to many shows at the PAC and was very pleased with the talent of each different group. The center is very clean and it has plenty of ushers to help you find your seats. No matter where you sit, the view is great.

Great staff, comfy seating, great acoustics!

By zeffantm |

This was our first visit to the PAC, but it probably won't be our last. Even though we live over 2 hours away, the trip to Appleton was well worth it. We saw Arsenio Hall and Jay Leno, and had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and every one of them had smiles on their faces, happy to help out.
The seats have just enough legroom to allow others to get past you if you stand, and the seats are very comfortable.
The lighting appears to be quite professional and the acoustics are great.
There is ample parking and this is a beautiful venue that is definitely worth visiting.

Wrote the Book in this one.

By Seldom-seen-schultz |

Not quite, Ellen Kort, Wisconsin's First Poet Laurette wrote most of the copy that appears in The Art of Labor, a picture book narrative of the construction of the PAC. I just massaged her words and Curt Knoke pictures to make them aesthetically pleasing. As many have said, there's not a bad seat in the place.

I've seen many performances over the years, all of them memorable. The sight lines are great, proximity to stage incredible and the sound well managed. The only negative for me personally is the overstaffing at most shows and that odd feeling like you are being herded which it always makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I know where I'm going, please let me go there on my own merit.

School of Rock

By gscott5446 |

Beautiful Theater with no bad seats and a well oiled machine of delivery of snacks and drinks both before the show and during intermission. Plenty of affordable parking surrounding the block.

Beautiful venue for concerts

By 58Thomas_H |

Very nice place to see a concert . Not much for parking and the beverages are holy crap expensive. Seating is very nice though.

Nice place, no large purse allowed!

By 684tj13 |

This is a nice place but I would recommend seats on the 1st or 2nd levels. The other floors are quite high up. The floor seating is great and worth the cost. Seats are a bit offset, positioned so that someone is not right in front of you which is nice for better viewing. Ladies, do not bring a large purse. They will make you coat check it or send you back to your car with it for security reasons!

Great staff, beautiful facility, very good accoustics

By zeffantm |

We have visited the PAC twice in the last several months, once for Jay Leno, and once for "Wheel of Fortune Live." The facility has lots of staff available throughout the building to assist with finding your seat or serving a beverage. The place is well-maintained and clean. The acoustics from both the sides and front/center are very good. We will definitely consider making the 2 1/2-hour drive to visit again.
My only complaint is the "policy" of not allowing pictures inside the venue. When I pay lots of money to travel to and attend a function, I _AM_ going to take at least a few pictures to enjoy later.

Great selection

By amethystloucks |

I came here a few years ago to see "The Lion King" and absolutely loved it. All the seats are great, the venue is beautiful, and I love the city.

Beautiful

By Marion P |

Beautiful venue; wide range of productions, great seating, acoustics, and treats in a friendly atmosphere.

Lovely Theater

By Donna A |

We attended Wicked at the PAC and were impressed. Parking was ample and efficient, ticket takers had everyone moving through at a fast clip on a cold day, and ushers were very helpful. Our seats were in the dress circle and our family is short so we really appreciated how the seats in front of us were low enough for us to see over the occupant's heads. The sound was great, as was the general atmosphere of the theater. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The only small complaint I have is that the seats grew uncomfortable toward the end. They're also a bit narrow, but that's the way it is in nearly all places now.

Lets go to the show!

By Dave Hoh |

If you are looking for a Broadway show and can not afford to travel to New York. We have it right in our backyard, Appleton WI. The Fox Valley Performing Arts Center (P.A.C.) is one of the best performing arts center I have ever been to. It is nestled in downtown Appleton with plenty of food and beverage options for before and after the show. This venue is also great for concerts and bands. Check it out and downtown Appleton.

wonderful place

By Susie S |

It's always nice coming here for shows. the seating is awesome no matter where you sit! the employees are always kind and helpful.

Beautiful Facility

By Amy G |

I have been to many shows on Broadway and this is the best facility around, including New York City. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. There isn't a bad seat in the house!

Excellent Acoustics

By SunflowerDame |

We see many performances each year and recently saw the band Chicago. Amazing sound and every seat in the house is a good one.

Very nice place to see a show.

By Mark M |

Centrally located with many dining and beverage options nearby. Friendly ushers and clean comfortable seating.

PAC

By gram25gs |

we are season ticket holders. We have seen so many excellent shows here. You will not be disappointed You can see where ever you have seats.

front-row in Family balcony not for those with fear of heights

By Onessa |

Great space to watch a show -- great viewing from all areas but we sat in the front row of the highest balcony for a run of Mama Mia. I have a deep respect for heights and that was one scary walk to our seats -- there are few aisles so everyone has to crawl over patrons already seated. Scary time for me, but a great view of the performance!

the musical - wicked

By marie kress |

I went to the PAC on Sun. Feb. 23 matinee for Wicked--My daughters and I decided that this musical was the best show that we have ever seen. A must see.

Just a side remark--2 kids in front of us and they appeared very scared in certain parts. Loud music and guys dressed as monkeys with wings crawling up and down the stage. Kind of pricey to take kids to this one. One of my daughters is mgr of a daycare and these were her thoughts also.

PAC

By Sharon U |

Lovely facility located in the heart of downtown Appleton. Professional theater with a wide variety of performances through out the year. There are nearby places for dinner before the show if you wish to do that also.

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center

By swagner001 |

I agree with previous reviewers that the performances offered are of excellent quality. "The Bodyguard" was outstanding and moderately priced for such outstanding performances. I do not agree, however, that there is not a bad seat in the entire auditorium. If one's seat is directly behind a taller person or, even worse, two taller persons it is very difficult to see around them if the seats are on the main floor. Given a choice between balcony seating and, for example, the 5th and 6th rows back from the stage, I would choose the front seats in the lower balconies.

Incredible venue for an intimate 1 man show or Broadway extravaganza

By BlueDory1 |

I have seen everything from Little Women to Whose Line Is IT, and Tony Bennett to Spamalot. Phenomenal theatre and people.

Disappointing seating arrangement

By swagner001 |

Attended the Drifters, Coasters and Platters concert on 10/21/18. Chose our seats from the PAC online seating chart and thought that the 3rd row seats would be good for viewing and comfortable. Unfortunately, the PAC had set up extra, movable rows of chairs. Not only could we not see the show over the heads of the people in front of us, we were stuck in a corner with no aisle on the side of us which was not reflected on the seating chart. Very disappointing. Next time, I will be contacting the box office directly to ascertain exactly what the seating arrangement will be.

Great venue

By northwoodsgal61 |

I attended a performance of Jersey Boys here with my girlfriends and it was fantastic! This is a beautiful venue. Excellent seating and sound. They serve cocktails and wine at intermission.

Never a bad seat in the house

By Paula1950 |

Recently my husband and I saw a show here and did not get our tickets until at the last moment. We were disappointed when we got close to the last row in the building. That was until we sat in our seats, the view was amazing, along with the show. Let me say there in not a bad seat in the house, because of the way the seats are staggered and the slant to the stage. Don't refuse a ticket based on where you will sit, all seats are great!

Concerts, Plays at Fox Cities PAC

By SG5566 |

First, the Arts Center is beautiful..architecturally in design and detail. The lobby is open, I guess it's 3-4 stories high, the atmosphere inviting. I saw the Moody Blues and the Book of Mormon there. Both were outstanding. I enjoyed myself so much....great performances and not a bad seat in the house (although, of course some are better than others). I highly recommend experiencing a night (or matinee) at PAC. The Radisson and parking ($2.00) are next door with plenty of choices for food/drink.

Always a good time

By Bonnie S |

They have great shows and reasonable costs and it is a beautiful place to see a show. Go at least a couple times a year, more if I can.

Great venue!

By Jlh1021 |

I've been to the PAC for concerts, plays ands musicals. Love the atmosphere, the sound is amazing. Going back again in February!

Rent

By bgorges77 |

Shows at the PAC are just getting better and better! It’s a great experience, whether you’re with friends or family. The drinks are reasonable, there are always photo opportunities, and there’s not really a bad seat in the house.

Great location

By Nancy G |

This was a really nice PAC. Lovely! As a fundraiser, they had an silent auction, too. They also sold drinks prior to the event and it was just a comfortable stroll to the Copperleaf--next block!

Fabulous!!!

By Denise J |

My daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous performance of the Lion King at the arts center. This place was a great place to see any performance. I don't think that there is a bad seat in the house!! The staff were courteous and helpful. The restrooms were very clean and large to accomadate large crowds during intermissions. We will certainly be looking forward to enjoying another production there in the near future.

Cabernet

By Missy M |

Show was very unique but the building is awesome Sat in the front row on top could see everything but some expressions were not the clearest.

Beautiful facility!

By gve67 |

I live in Appleton, WI and have attended the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for years. They bring traveling broadway shows to our area. I have yet to see one that was bad.

Some Great Shows......

By Gr8BrdLovr |

Had the opportunity to see Les Meserables recently. Such a Great Show and the Acoustics are really good. They have many Ushers to help you find your seats should you need that kind of help. The Center is very clean and several options to purchase drinks as well as a coat check. Parking across the street makes for easy accessibility to the PAC and for this event it was $5. Backing in makes it a lot easier to get out after the show!

Wonderful venue

By nantucket_us |

The Fox Cities PAC is the perfect venue. They are always offering entertainment for all tastes and interests. I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. The building is very well taken care of! Countless times the entertainers have commented how much they enjoy playing there, and how proud we should be of our facility!

Great place to see a show

By bigsei |

We were here to see Come From Away (musical) with another couple. The staff are friendly and helpful for this very popular venue. We had seats on the second balcony and could see the entire stage and performance with no issues. Parking ramp next to the PAC was easy. The event was stress free and enjoyable. Lots of restaurants and bars next door.

Luv it!

By disney62 |

Everybody needs to see a show at the PAC! Very well planned out, as there is not a bad seat in the house!

Lion King Performance

By Judi S |

This is one of the best Auditoriums we've ever attended. It's well laid out, the sound is great, and seats are comfortable. For the size of Appleton, this is a great performance space. I would hesitate seeing events there in the future.

Awesome

Cabaret

By debram358 |

This was a great show! The story that holds meaning even today. Wonderful choreography and a stellar cast.

An intimate venue where all the seats are good!

By Adam G |

A very nice and well kept facility in the heart of downtown Appleton. There is really not a bad seat in the house, the views are great from all angles. My wife and I have been here several times but this was the first concert. Acoustically, the facility was good but not great, but the band more than made up for it. I would recommend this for a smaller intimate up close experience.

Outstanding

By Kelly A |

PAC has the best shows. Best part is no bad seating. Located right in Appleton near wonderful restaurants.

Small city HUGE entertainment in a classy building. Forget about driving to larger cities.

By Ross F |

All the performances I have been to are great due to the performers and building design. Don't forget about weddings an family gatherings.

Fantastic fun

By Kathy F |

My husband and I went to see Mama Mia and the cast and the audience really got into the music and the story. Had a wonderful time.

nice place to see play

By mslucky123 |

The place was customer friendly. Restroom on each floor. The workers and volunteers are very helpful and nice. Parking across the street in garage was only $2. The acoustics' is fantastic. Next years line up looks good.

Excellent venue for shows!

By Toramus |

Every show I have seen here has been very good. The facility feels like it should be in a much larger town than Appleton. Broadway shows feel right at home, as do smaller productions from local dancers (Children's Nutcracker Ballet).

High quality entertainment venue.

By Beverly G |

I have been to the PAC for a number of shows. Wonderful environment, great seating, sound is excellent and the staff is always there to help you. I went to a show a number of years ago with my late husband who was disabled. Very accommodating to the disabled. We saw Jersey Boys at that time. Such an amazing show that when it returned here again this year, my girlfriend and I went. They have a variety of entertainment for young and old alike. Easy to get to with parking right across the street. Highly recommend taking in a show.

Very nice place

By riverzedge |

I went to see the musical Chicago. I wasn't really looking forward to seeing this because I didn't care for the Movie. I was really impressed with the overall look and feel of the Performing Arts Center. The staff was very friendly and helped us with any of the questions that we had. I look forward to going to the PAC again. I also enjoyed seeing Chicago even though I thought I wouldn't like it.

Julie's Touch of Silver Recital

By KellyfromOshkosh |

I have seen this show every year for several years, and I like it best at the PAC. The PAC is a great place to see shows, and there's plenty of shopping and places to eat near by.

Broadway Up North

By Jane K |

The performers who come in rave that the Fox Valley is a great as any Broadway theater. We love it and have enjoyed many performances in the last ten years. Our favorites are Spamalot and Jersey Boys. It's an outstanding venue where you can see Broadway touring companies at Midwest prices.

FOx CIties PAC

By CheeseheadsII |

I have been there several times to see different shows, wonderful venue! I have seen The Lion King, Ma Ma Mia, wonderful acoustics.

Amazing show! costumes made you feel like you were being entertained by animals! A MUST see! The theater is a good size and the staff were so helpful! parking is normal...park in the ramp across the street and it will take a half an hour to get out after the show. I advise valet parking! Handicap persons valet parking is complimentary!

Another Great Show at the Fox Cities PAC

By Ellen B |

We just attended Hamilton at the PAC tonight, and you'll have to forgive me if I repeat myself, but WOW, just WOW! What a great show, with many of the same cast members that I saw in Chicago. I can't believe we are to first Wisconsin city to host it, amazing. We had orchestra seats, and could see and hear every word and note sung perfectly. This venue is a treasure, if you are considering attending a show here, please do so, you will not regret it!

One of the great features are the staff who work seating patrons, selling alcohol, etc. They are so very cheerful and helpful, and they really seem happy to see you. They definitely add to the experience.

An evening at the Fox Valley Symphony

By Amy L |

I was fortunate enough to attend the FVS concert featuring Claire Huangci and honestly, the performance was beyond my expectations. It was like sitting at LIncoln Center in New York City. Ms. Huangci was a virtuoso pianist and her rendition of Mozart's Symphony No 39 was breathtaking. The Fox Cities PAC is an exemplary center with the most friendly and helpful staff. And, I purchased a special wine sippy cup to bring my delightful Shiraz to my seat and enjoy during the performance. Whether one lives in the Fox Cities or is visiting, attendance to an event at the Fox Cities PAC is strongly reccomended!

Great View Regardless

By Pamela K |

I've been to a number of shows at the PAC. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff is helpful, parking isn't an issue and the bathrooms are clean. Really, what more do you need!

Great Place

By Melissa M |

I enjoy going to this theatre. Everyone is always super nice and helpful. Prices are reasonable but could use more snack selection. Intermission went smoothly and was able to get a refill with time to spare. The parking was cheap and right across the street. I will be back.

Avett Brothers concert

By northwoodsgal61 |

This is a fabulous venue for a concert The acoustics were superb, and the atmosphere was fun, but intimate. Ushers were very friendly and helpful. On the main floor there are two bars for refreshments.
I’ll definitely attend another concert here.

Great Shows, Great Venue!

By Jhjani |

I have been a season ticket holder for five years. I enjoy attending contemporary musicals and plays at the Fox Cities PAC. One can get a seat almost anywhere and have a good view of the stage. The volunteers are friendly and the staff always accommodating when I go to the ticket office to purchase or exchange tickets. A big city experience without the big city costs and hassles.

Great venue for a performance

By Gdy2schu |

Wonder place to see a show. Have been here several times to see shows like Wicked, Lion King, Stomp etc. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Always a good time

By Wendy |

I love how helpful the volunteers are. One time I had someone in my seat and the whole family was trying to argue about their seats. Instead of having it waste a lot of time for the people behind me (since the show was beginning)...we were seated in the box section because it was open. Nice view with plenty of leg room.
I have never been to a show that I didn't enjoy and the pricing is very reasonable. Mary Poppins, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Rent, Fiddler on the Roof, Bee Gees tribute band, etc.

Great Venue

By Marcie W |

I've seen a variety of shows here, from The Lion King and Wicked to Hamlet to a local strings concert. The facilities are really nice, and I've never had a bad seat. It's downtown location is a plus, as its super easy to park (most ramps are only a few dollars) and many great restaurants are within walking distance of the PAC.

In Making A Comparison...

By Rally4Now |

...we used the Weidner Center in Green Bay to gauge our level of comfort and enjoyment. The Weidner Center is better by far.

The PAC was enjoyable because of the performance of the Lion King by a touring group, but there was not much else that made it memorable. The seating is cheap, the place to order a drink was not inviting and table placement is not conducive to enjoyable conversation, and the parking ramp means that you should allow 15-20 minutes to exit once you find your car.

The worst part is the seats that they have. They have a one point support and if someone in the adjoining seat moves then it seems that the connecting seats move too.

Judging it by the outside appearance we expected something more elaborate, convenient and practical, and esthetically pleasing. Thinking of convenient reminds me that the restrooms did not seem large enough for a capacity crowd. The men's room had a small line but the line for the women's came out into the hallway.

Overall, go for the performance when you plan your entertainment but expect nothing more.

Great shows in the line up

By Deb J |

The PAC gets great shows and there really isn't a bad seat in the house, depending on the show. It is located downtown near many great restaurants and bars.
For me one drawback is the shortage of women's restrooms, resulting in long lines at intermission. As a newer venue I expected it to be more forward thinking. I also find the management to be less than friendly and accommodating. For example, I brought my kids for rush tickets to the symphony, but found out they only take cash for these seats. I have gotten rush tickets in other similar venues and I could pay with any form of payment. Overall, I'm glad it is in Appleton, but would like it better if the managers put their audiences higher on their priority list.

Great venue in a little city

By Becky870 |

I was in town to visit family and as a surprise I went with my brother and sister in law to see the Lion King. I lived in Wisconsin for many years and I have never been to the PAC in Appleton. I must say though that I was not disappointed. It is a very nice facility and the greeters are able to point you in the right direction no matter what. We had seats in the Family section in the very first row. If you are afraid of heights this is not the section for you. The first row especially has a railing and you can peak over it but if you are scared beware. I would next time however either go a row or 2 higher or sit in the Orchestra because when the average height person sits back in the seat the railing does block your view. Other than that small annoyance it was great.I will definitely be back when I am in town.

Great facility

By Patrick H |

Perfect location in downtown. Access to restaurants and other establishments. Shows from local talent to Broadway productions at prices for any budget.

Best Venue Around'

By MsLa61 |

The PAC is one of the best places around to see any type of performance. It's not so overwhelmingly huge that you lose the personality of the event, Not a bad seat in the house!
The staff is wonderful-always very helpful and pleasant.
I've seen both plays and concerts and always look very forward to returning!

Quality Theatre

By Larry B |

They have offered some of the highest quality performances I have ever seen in our area. Price seems a little high for this "small town" but worth it. A few times they have scheduled repeat productions which has been a disappoiinting.

Wow, just wow

By Ellen B |

Attended Fiddler On the Roof last night. Everything made this a very special experience. We chose valet parking, because the weather was inclement. Our valet was prompt and professional. We picked up our tickets at will call, proceeded to coat check, and then the bar. First, the coat check; our attendant was a real comedian, and said we could win our coats back at the raffle with our ticket, haha! At the bar, we chose from a reasonably priced selection of wines. Hubs had the Carmel Rd. Pinot Noir, which we made not of because we want to buy some, it was that good! We then asked directions to our seats, and proceeded to our section. The show was amazing, I was astounded that we are getting this show before Chicago is! The show was very well staged; it is a great refresh of this exceptional show.

At every stage of the experience we were impressed with the employees at the PAC. They all seem to really enjoy their work, from the coat check, to the bar, to the ushers, everyone was so helpful and pleasant. If you have ever considered attending a performance at the PAC, please do so! I guarantee you will enjoy it!

Crown Jewel of the Fox Cities

By Char S |

Our PAC is fantastic! From the central location to the exceptional design to the friendly volunteer staff and the audience comforts, this facility is equal to ANY that we have visited in this country or abroad and FAR NICER than most. First-class entertainment offerings complete the package. Find a show that appeals to you, and GO. You'll be hooked and you'll never regret it.

Chicago the Band in Appleton!!

By chifinn |

We are loyal fans of this band see them at least once a year. We are from Chicago, their local performance is bad timing for us so we found this place to be a nice alternative. What a prefect venue for a concert. It seems the band has been here before they commented on how they loved the place also. Perfect sound and seats.

Annie

By B B |

What a wonderful time my daughter and I shared together while taking in the Broadway Musical - Annie. We've been to the PAC in the past for concerts but never a Broadway production. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff guided us to our seats and we were mesmerized by the incredible talent. We would definitely attend another show there.

Great venue

By Ellen B |

This is a jewel of a theater. We recently attended the Moody Blues concert here. We had previously seen Broadway shows and concerts here, and weren't certain how it would be for a rock concert. It was perfect! The acoustics are amazing, the ushers are very friendly, overall it was a fantastic experience.

Outstanding Venue...

By briansalm |

The Fox Cities PAC does not disappoint. I have seen multiple productions/performances at the PAC since it was built and I have yet to have been disappointed with any one of the performances. We are very fortunate to have a venue of this quality and the caliber of performances in a relatively small and very safe city. If you are visiting Appleton or the surrounding area, take in a performance at the PAC. You will be glad that you did.

Great for Musicals

By FAMILYWISCONSIN |

This venue is nice to see a play or listen to a concert. You can see the stage from basically anywhere; however, if you do not like heights, I do not recommend getting seats in the Family Circle. It is the highest area and you are quite far away from the stage. Also, when you stand up in this area, you can kind of get a little dizzy when trying to walk.

Excellent every time!

By Sarah M |

We always go to shows at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. We have seen Wicked, Annie, Le Mis, and so many more. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like royalty. Volunteers greet you, and help you with any questions. Food is a little pricey so eat pefor hand.

The Best in the State

By ReadRibbet |

The Fox City PAC is an amazing facility in the heart of downtown Appleton. For a town of its size, it rivals almost all other similar venues in the state. We have been there multiple times for plays, musicals, concerts and speakers. There is virtually no bad seat in the house and the staff is always friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky near the PAC but it's easy to park on a side street and walk over. Centrally located near restaurants and bars for a stop before or after. The offerings are better than almost all other state venues often getting national tours before other locations in the state. It is a great place to catch a show or a concert.

Friendliest volunteers!

By Voice1234 |

The PAC makes you feel like royalty from the moment they open the double doors for you. Everyone is always smiling and happy! Staff has gone above and beyond when we've ever had to ask for a favor. The shows are excellent! We look forward to every performance at the PAC!

Great Theater - Hells Kitchen was Great

By Denise |

Love a good Broadway show. After four Broadway shows in theaters in NYC last month, it was great to sit in some spacious seats with leg room! We saw Hell's Kitchen and loved it. Only suggestion was we wish mic on Ali was louder as she was hard to hear just her.

Not a bad seat in this place

By buckskin |

Now that the sound system is improved this is a wonderful place to see top rated performances. Weather it is Broad Way Series, Ballet, a Concert or even Alice Cooper this is the best place. Not a bad seat in the house - even in the cheapest seats. Easy in and out and parking.

Wonderful experience.

By Tina W |

We took my 5 and 7 year old grandchildren to The Kidz Bop show and it was wonderful. THe facility was very spacious, easy to get around in and very beautiful. The ushers were very friendly and helpful.

Outstanding Venue

By Skytrekker |

This is a perspective from someone from Southern California. Went here recently for a performance of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra and the New Voices choir. This is a first class facility. There are several balconies. We were in the second from the top at the back of the seating. Really great view of whole stage, if a bit distant, and great acoustics. For this performance, the sound was what was important, not being super close to the stage. Nicely padded seats, with enough room to allow people to get by without a problem. Compares very nicely to all but the super premium venues in Southern California. They didn't allow any photography, cell phone pictures, etc. I had thought about bringing binoculars, but I don't think they would have been allowed, so I'm glad I didn't.

Lucky to have this facility in our area

By Jessica0823 |

For a small city in Wisconsin to have this venue, and bring high caliber shows to this community, is something that we are truly blessed to have. We can drive over for a day from Stevens Point, not have to travel to a larger city and spend money on a hotel, and see so many great family-friendly shows.

This season's schedule is truly remarkable. We have already enjoyed two shows this year (Wicked and Little Mermaid) and are looking forward to Waitress in December.

The staff is always helpful, the photo ops are a fun way to wait for the show to begin, and it is handy to have the parking structure across the street.

Super Venue

By trvlnutAppleton_WI |

It is the crown jewel in downtown Appleton, WI. It is such a great venue many premieres for the state of Wisconsin occurred at the PAC suchas Wicked, Lion Kings, to name a few.Has wide variety of performances ,from Broadway plays to intimate venues. No matter what seat you choose, you have a great view and super acoustics. We have seen Broadway plays, symphony concerts, comedians ,and folk singing groups. Plus they have many programs geared towards children so many children can go to the PAC with a school group. Plus there are many restaurants, and bars within walking distance so if you want to catch a bite to eat before the show, or go out after the show for a drink or dessert, there are many choices.

Great view, wonderful theater!

By Leslie B |

The Performing Arts Center (or PAC) has been such a great addition to Appleton. So many wonderful shows such as Kinky Boots, Mama Mia, Wicked, Stomp, Lion King and concerts (Heart, George Winston, a Beatles tribute, etc.).
Great acoustics, great shows and they try to mix the shows up every year. (Although popular shows back).
Never went to a bad show at this place and have never had a bad seat (even the nose bleed section).

Outstanding!

By Beezusdog |

We've never been disappointed! Don't miss it!The quality of offerings, the venue, and the overall experience is not to be missed!

Great Venue

By Kaitlyn B |

I've been here several of times over the years, never had anything negative to say! There is not a bad seat anywhere here, always easy to hear from the stage and always very clean and classy.

Great Place

By taverboomen |

The Fox Cities PAC is a gem. Any show/performance is worth traveling to the City of Appleton. In addition to the show, there are endless options along Collage Avenue to visit before or after the show.

Doc Severensen

By Joan G |

Attended his Christmas show-Jingle Bell Doc-what a great showman! At 80-something, he is amazing, as is his guest, a young woman with an amazing voice. He included local high school choirs and the White Heron Chorale in his performance. What a great holiday feast for ears and eyes! Well worth the ticket price - certainly hope he comes to Appleton again soon! Acoustics at the PAC are wonderful-not sure there are any bad seats.

Went to see a play.

By Cheryl G |

The PAC is centrally located so was very easy to get to even if unfamiliar with the area. Parking is right next to the theatre as was only $2.00. The theatre is very large and beautiful. Seems that all seats would be good. We were in the first row center of first balcony (there are 3). At times, we had some difficulty hearing the words to some of the songs as the music seemed to drown out the singer. Also some of the speaking parts were at times garbled. I don't know if it was the sound system.

Great!

By busheyacht |

Lovely facility with helpful staff! World class performances right here in town. We are very lucky! If you have an opportunity to see Rent, Billy Elliot, Grease, or the Lion King... GO!

Big City Productions in a Small City Environment

By Gon_Outta_Here |

Excellent selection of shows, reasonable prices, services as needed are great! Located in the middle of all the great restaurants and bars that College Ave has to offer so you can enjoy the area before and after the show.
Free parking is a plus!

Beautiful Facility

By Robert S |

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a beautiful, modern facility. Best seats in my opinion are in the Dress Circle. Located in the heart of downtown Appleton, on College Ave., it's surrounded by bars and pubs for drinks and food before or after the show. We found excellent gelato at Copper Rock Coffee east of the center.

Love the variety of shows.

By Steff S |

Very large selection of different seating choices at great prices. I have heard though if you have a backpack purse they will not allow it.

Planned to perfection

By breaks007 |

Outstanding acoustics with comfortable seats!.....every seat is great. This arts center was planned with every fine detail in mind so it could provide the best in entertainment for many years to come. The Gem of Appleton!

Awesome Entertainment Venue!

By taj616 |

We have been extremely lucky to attend quite a few shows at the Fox Cities PAC; everything from broadway shows to school concert events.

The facility is very clean and the staff (ticket takers, ushers, etc) always seem so happy to be working! It's a real pleasure to take in a show there!

Good Theater, Great Show

By Jamie D |

The seats were fine as far as comfort level, the staff was friendly and the show (Wicked) was Amazing!

Awesome musicles and hotel!

By Rebekah K |

I had the most wonderful time going to a musical at the PAC. It was so accessible for my wheelchair and everyone there was so accommodating! The fact that it was only a block away from the Raddison Paper Valley made the experience that much better!

Shows Galore

By Krullsie |

There really isn't a bad spot in this theatre to watch a performance. They have wonderful programs to choose from through the whole year. Weather it's a music performance or a musical, they get some great shows!! The volunteers that work there will also take your picture for free at one of the stands

Broadway in the Fox Valley

By Martin K |

We started attending performances here when "Jersey Boys" was in town. Since then, we have seen many first run Broadway performances, some premiering here first in Wisconsin. The PAC is a top notch center for the performing arts and have yet to be disappointed during an evening here. We are now proud to be sponsors of this great gem.

Great Venue!

By Travis L |

The Fox Cities PAC is a great venue for shows, and in a very handy location. Big parking ramp across the street, and ample bars and restaurants in the area to have a drink or meal beforehand.

Never Disappoints

By SunflowerDame |

Miss Saigon brought incredible talent though we've always thoroughly enjoyed whatever we've seen there. Every season brings must see performances. With security check as you enter, bring small to no handbags. Enjoy the show!

Great Venue!

By profofphil |

We've attended many and various events at the PAC and have never once been disappointed in the place. It is a well-designed facility. Excellent views--even from the "cheap seats." The place has an exciting, energetic, pre-performance atmosphere, and I wouldn't hesitate to take guests, even from world class cities, here for an event--provided it was the right kind of event.

Saves Driving to Milwaukee or Green Bay

By Marcia M |

I remember well the days before the PAC was built, so appreciate that we now have such a fine facility for Broadway-caliber shows and entertainment. The seats are comfortable, but I usually spend time shifting my head from right to left to see over heads, especially if I am in the orchestra (main floor) seating area. I wish they had put more of a slope to the seating or a little more spacing between seats. The interior is still in like-new condition and is spotlessly maintained.

Good productions, average venue

By Richard Cranium |

I liked the performances that they offer but the cramped seating leaves something to be desired. The floor seating is shoulder to shoulder with little leg room for anyone 6' or taller. Parking is also somewhat of an issue.

Hamilton at the FC PAC.

By Craig V |

Phenomenal Broadway production of Hamilton and the FC PAC is a great venue to see any show. Great volunteers to help, acoustics are excellent and the top shows on tour. Plus it’s located in downtown Appleton in the heart of the entertainment district.

World Class

By Chad Van Laanen |

This place has world class performances. We're lucky to have such a venue in our community. Service is second to none. If something doesn't satisfy your liking, just ask. Staff will do as much as they can to make things right.

Be careful in seat selection

By Lucy H |

The show was spectacular. But chose your seat carefully. After a long, slow moving line just to get inside, they confiscated my sealed granola bar, but not the open mixed nuts. Then the drink line was long. But the worst was getting to my seat. I chose what I thought was an aisle seat, right orchestra, row H seat 160 and 161. On the seat map, it looks like an aisle seat, but it is right next to the wall, right below the box seats. It would be the same on the far left side too. Though we got there early enough, the line to get in, and the drink lines were both so long, I was the last to get there and had to crawl over everyone trying to balance two drinks, a purse, a jacket and my cane. Had I known it was not an aisle seat, we would have gotten there even earlier and skipped the drinks.

Top notch facility

By jra3 |

We've been to several shows here. This is a fantastic facility, with great seats in all price ranges. Location downtown provides for a lot of before and after show options.

Top notch

By garybE4144YL |

We are pleased to tell people about our visit to PAC. This is a extraordinary facility. The sound is second to none. The welcoming as we walked into the PAC is perfect. Very professional, the evening was perfect.

Always good

By Patrick M |

Great venue. We’ve never been disappointed when attending any event at the PAC. Easy parking and places close for before or after on the Ave

PAC is a Top Pick

By Hiexpectations48 |

Be careful here. The acoustics are so good the performers on stage can hear what you are thinking. Great seating all the way around the house. Community volunteers are alway gracious and welcoming. Wonderful venue to see a stage show or hear a symphony.

Nice facility

By J7apple |

I have seen several shows here and each put on very good. Not a bad seat at the PAC so upgrading to the orchestra seats may be overkill depending on the show. Actually first or 2nd level up have been better seats than floor level as you can see a broader show. Local restaurants can get busy before show time so give yourself extra time.

Great shows in a local venue.

By Sherry L |

The PAC center brings excellent talent to Appleton and they often have very good shows. It truly is a blessing to have something so convenient and close to home. The only thing is the seats are not very comfortable and I always leave with a sore behind. Perhaps we can start a fund raiser for new chairs or cushions.

Great venue BUT LACKING LEADERSHIP exhibited through substandard operating processes and unprofessional staff!

By Culturally Disappointed |

The venue was designed and built effectively...but the leadership and working staff has no clue about professionalism, customer service or customer/collaborative relationship development or value. The leadership is lacking in many aspects-strategic decisions are purely cost-centric; Supervisors are unfriendly and unhelpful, often with poor attitudes and indifferent responses; training and/or awareness seems almost absent and attitudes of working staff members is often less than friendly or professional. Venue prices are restrictive for larger families both for venue events and on-site costs of concessions, ect. Many concession staff are indifferent and disengaged.
That said, the volunteer staff members are genuinely the most redeeming quality with great attitudes, willingness to help and general joy and pride at being at their posts and assisting patrons! They are a sole redeeming asset!

Top notch shows at the Appleton PAC

By HHWisconsin |

I have gone to many shows at the Fox Cities PAC over the years and they all have been wonderful. They bring in a good selection and get the same big name shows that are playing in Milwaukee and Chicago, which is awesome to not have to travel far!

Premier venue

By Robert S |

The Fox Cities is by far one of the finest stops for living entertainment and plays in the Midwest. A stunning, multi- tiered location with first notch amenities, it is a real joy to attend any function at.

Top notch Venue

Beautiful building with fabulous entertainment. Amazing shows at unbeatable prices. Not a bad seat in the house. A treasure to have in the valley. Lots of restaurants close by to make it an enjoyable evening.

Top Notch Performances

By ndsuparents |

My husband regularly attend performances at the PAC. We have also seen shows on Broadway in NYC. We have never been disappointed with any performances that we have seen in Appleton. Seats are comfortable and ushers always friendly and helpful.
Ticket prices are acceptable and students qualify for discounted tickets.

Small with a lot of great shows

By Robin k |

It is a small theatre, but don't equate small with poor quality. All the seats in this venue have a great view of the stage, and I could hear the performers clearly. The PAC also has a lot of great Broadway shows that stop here on tour. I saw Phantom of the Opera, and I have seen this show at other venues. The PAC definitely matched my experience in Milwaukee.

Top Class facility and performances with affordable prices for families

By Mary H |

Appleton is blessed to have such a world class venue as the PAC. Be it concerts, ballet, or live theater they are all equal in my opinion to venues like Milwaukee or Chicago or even New York, right here in the Fox Valley. The facility has plenty of volunteers to help you reach your seat, including those who need a little extra help in wheelchairs. The restrooms are accessible and clean and the elevators are spacious. The parking structures near by seem to provide ample parking and the PAC offers valet parking. The only thing I would suggest is that they turn up the volume on the microphones so those of us that are slightly hearing impaired can hear more clearly. We have been able to attend several performances at the PAC over the years and have enjoyed them all. I would invite everyone to take advantage of what we have right here in our own back yard and book a performance.

Newsies

By maren r |

Took my teen to watch. Great show. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. This is a great alternative to driving all the way into Milwaukee or Chicago. We love going catching Motown in a couple months!!

Lion King - Redo

By rofischer |

My wife and I went to the 2nd time around of Lion King this winter, It was a beautiful production that was so very easy to enjoy in the friendly confines of the PAC. Great acoustics, helpful docents, clean rest rooms...

Broadway quality entertainment in Appleton – see tips below

By TravelVlogger |

We have been to several shows including Broadway in New York and Las Vegas. The touring companies but on the same show on the road. We just went to see the Lion King and it was well done. Bravo!

The theater is well laid out. As you would expect there are seats on the ground level closer to the stage called Orchestra Seats and multiple floors, with ticket prices varying according to your location.

We have been fortunate enough to sit in a variety of locations for different shows. Even the family circle seats, the most economical in the house, allow for excellent viewing.
Some tips:

Entrance:
Consider the entrance on the west side of the building along College Avenue. Where a line may exist at the main entrance I have never waiting at the west entrance.

Intermission beverage:
If you intend to enjoy a beverage during intermission go to the bar before she show starts, order and pay for your beverage and give them your first name. They have a table off to the side on each level. Just as the show is about to go to intermission the bar makes these beverages. During intermission rather than waiting in a long line your fresh beverage will be waiting for you.

Tickets:
Didn’t get tickets? We have been able to find tickets on Craigs Iist on the internet on the afternoon of a performance several times. Sometimes peoples schedules change and this has become a way for people who have tickets and people looking for tickets to come together. Its worked for us.

Wonderful Place

By allez2008 |

Very nice, great events. Parking for handicapped a problem, not enough spaces and is there an elevator in the ramp? We didn't see one.

Chicago Broadway Musical

By jembv2 |

My friend got tickets for the show, we had great seats very close to the stage.
The PAC is a beautiful theater everything about the experience was very enjoyable.
When you come to the Fox Cities make sure to get tickets, you will be very happy
It will be a great memory, I know that you will not be disappointed.

A fabulous venue

By Mike M |

I have never seen a facility this good in a town this size. If you are in town for any reason and a performance you are interested in is advertised there, don't miss it. The facility is beautiful and the ushers are wonderful people. There are three balconies with good seating and fine views. The third balcony looks like it is a mile high but it is very popular. During the show we attended it was nearly full. This really is a top notch place to see or hear a quality performance. We live three hours away but we are already checking the schedule to plan a trip to see something else there.

Dirty Dancing!!

By Marji M |

This venue is a gem for Northeast Wisconsin. I cannot say anything bad about it. We were treated like royalty from the minute we walked in the door til the minute we left for the night. If you have a chance to visit, please do!

Great performance center, wonderful acoustics!

By Zipperiffic |

All here is delightful, although in the top tier you may feel a bit far away from the stage. The sound is delightful throughout the venue. With convenient parking nearby and great shows booked in, this makes a lovely alternative to the big city theaters.

Great Venue

By Ashlee B |

I've been here many times for many shows and the facility is always excellent. They bring in marvelous shows and educational opportunities. I'm so thankful to have the PAC in our community.

So great

Many popular off broadway plays and musicals are preformed here. Very nice fancy set up. And there is always a good show.

Excellent venue for a concert

Concert At The PAC

By Tumbleweed854 |

Attended the Chicago concert at the PAC this summer. Good acoustics for the venue. Surprised how quickly and smoothly the crowd disbursed from all the levels of the Center after the performance.

Chicago put on a very good show playing a number of their most memorable songs. Very nice evening.

Great Local Performing Art Center

By spappleton |

I always have good time seeing the shows at The Appleton PAC. The seats are all good, I don't thing there is a bad one in the house. I love that they sell "sippy cups" for your beverage, so you don't have to slam your drink when the show begins! I also like the valet parking, it takes the worry out of trying to find a spot in downtown Appleton...which is notorious for No Parking Areas!

First rate theater

By Becky W |

Wonderful performing arts center. It is a great place to see touring shows. The Marcus Center in Milwaukee is great, but this PAC offers many of the same shows in a great pedestrian friendly downtown with much cheaper parking, two hotels (copperleaf is a favorite,) and lots of restaurants.

good show,

By Joan G |

The show was good, and I am a season ticket holder for the Broadway Series. Also attend the Symphony now and again. The thing that is disquieting is that every doorway, every entry, every nuance has a name attached of some donor - I understand the need to recognize people who donate $$ to the PAC, but I think it would be more classy to have a wall or something with plaques listing names, rather than " this door or entrance was donated by Dr and Mrs Noname. Tacky tacky tacky. Rows are too long, so that it is hard to get out at intermission, and I cannot see how this passed any fire code inspection. In most cases, there is only one way out of a row and the aisles are adequate but not quite large enough for a large number of people to exit in an emergency.

Lovely Facility

By ShaleeGunderson |

Wonderful facility to bring culture and the arts to smaller cities. The center limits food and beverage consumption, which helps keep the facility clean.

Fantastic experience

By T W |

Never disappointed. We attended the recent Lion King show and loved it. We were able to get quality seats and felt like we were in the show. If you've always had an interest in seeing a Broadway quality show, the opportunity is right here in our area. We will definitely be back!

Quality, but at a price

By Dennis P |

My family takes turns going to different performances because we never could afford even the baseline ticket prices for the performances. There are seats they should
never charge more than $25 for.

Great show

By allaboutthesunandfun |

This is such a great venue for a show. Not a bad seat in the house. Bars and restaurants nearby. Downtown area.

Not a Bad Seat in the House!

By K L |

First time seeing a show here. Surprised my husband to see his favorite comedian. I wanted front row but was only able to get front row in the first balcony. I was disappointed...until we got there! Our seats were amazing! Front row balcony was just a fantastic view. Very comfortable seating. They even allowed beer/wine in the show! Like an old fashioned theatre - it was just great!

Book of Mormon

Very accommodating staff which is very much appreciated! There really isn't a bad seat in the center so buy the best you can afford. The seats are comfortable and prices are reasonable.

Great entertainment for a small town!

By tealchristine2712 |

The PAC always brings fabulous entertainers & productions. I have seen multiple plays at the PAC & just saw a comedian, Frank Caliendo. We have seen The Grinch, Chicago, Wicked, and many more. We have sat in the front row & the highest nose bleed seats, and really there isn't a bad spot. Drinks are pricy.

5 star if not for seating

By pupster2 |

The Appleton PAC is an excellent place to view a show or Broadway production. However, they could have used a little more elevation in seating incline. The aisle seats are great, but if you get pushed in the middle and are sitting close to the front you may have some obstructive heads in the way, especially if they put seats over the orchestra pit.

Not a bad seat anywhere!

By Nancy O |

My husband and I recently attended Hotel California at the PAC and it was wonderful! The seating is excellent! There is not a bad place to sit. You can see the stage from anywhere. The sound was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly! Have been there a few times before for other shows and we had the same great experience! Definitely a place to visit while in town!

No more productions in Appleton for us

By Pioneer746298 |

Due to the City of Appleton's focus on filling city coffers with parking citation money and issuing steep citations to numerous patrons at the last three shows we have attended, we have switched to attending productions in Milwaukee and Minneapolis only. We just attended the Lion King at the Orpheum on Minneapolis and found both the parking and theater itself to outshine anything Appleton is able to offer. We may miss a few of the Appleton restaurants we frequented on show days, but have already found a new favorite in the Twin Cities.

Jersey Boys, Phantom of the Opera

By Sandy G |

How lucky I am to have this luxurious theater right in my home town. We've seen fantastic shows, not a bad seat in the house! You can dress to the nine or come in everyday clothes, you'll always feel welcome.

By Askiola |

Went to the Colin and Brad 2 man show last night. We did upper level seats and had no problems seeing or hearing the show. Parking is cheap and convenient. If you visit one of the many drinking establishments after the show for one, the parking garage will be empty when you are ready to leave. It is always organized and well staffed for all types of event. Buy your tickets and enjoy top of the line events!

Wonderful facility with top notch shows

By Wis_B_and_B_lover |

This ten-year-old facility is one of the most beautiful and patron-friendly I've been in. Due to an extraordinary design, every seat gives a great view of the stage, even from the top tier. There is also a smaller stage area for more intimate performances. Lots of parking that's much less expensive than in bigger cities, as well as a wide variety of dining within walking distance. The PAC brings in first-run Broadway shows as well as other variety/musical acts and also hosts many local ballet and music productions. I've been to shows on Broadway as well as in Minneapolis, Chicago, and San Francisco and none of those facilities comes close to Appleton's PAC. (A small side note: I've never seen such beautiful bathroom facilities!)

Awesome Entertainment

By jschlais |

Great off Broadway shows with a spectacular shows. Great location, great seating lucky to have a place like this in Appleton.

Great for concerts and Broadway musical !!!

By seabreeze111 |

I have been to this concert hall more times than I can count and every time was a wonderful experience! Great sound, comfy chairs and great adult beverages! As a special treat we valet Parham!

Great venue with top shows

By Misscole33 |

This is a very nice venue and seats all have such great views. They offer some of the best broadway hits. Most shows offer drinks and you can buy a special cup with lids if you want to take it into the auditorium. Nice option!

Beautiful theatre well set up and maintained

By ODtravelers |

Our first visit to the Fox Cities PAC and we were impressed. Many staff to help guide you, and a beautiful facility.

We had seats in the first row (we went on line as soon as the tickets became available and snagged those seats).

We had never been there before so did not know the set up of the theatre. Unfortunately the orchestra pit is literally IN the theatre, not down under the stage as in many of the performing arts venues. Which creates quite a problem for the first row. There are tall curtains blocking the view of the orchestra, and short people beware, you can't see all of the stage, and it really is hard to clearly hear the lyrics because the orchestra is louder than the singers.

So, grab a seat maybe 10 rows back, and it should be just fine.

We certainly will use this venue again to see other shows.

War Horse

By Mary H |

We have been going to Milwaukee to see plays but after attending this play we will be back to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house! The parking is cheap and it is so close to wonderful hotels and restaurants!

FVPAC

By JJ J |

My favorite place to see plays & also comedians and music shows! Looking forward to the book of Mormon comedy Broadway across America show in October. Front row near center!

pleasant surroundings, way to expensive

By Barb F |

Show was wonderful--some seats hard to see stage (IE pillar). way to expensive for the average middle class. Most shows $200.-$300 per person. Ridicules price even for upper class!

Great show

By TraciLee1970 |

Every show I have ever seen here has been great as for seating I like the main floor the best but I have sat in many different areas. Always great

Security screening snafu ar pac nowadays

By GreenBay_WIKathy |

Unfortunately the pac has started a totally useless security screening process that leaves long lines of patrons outside and accomplishes nothing. You can go through with no screening wearing heavy winter gear that could easily hide weapons/bombs but if you have a purse of any size you are forced to stand in inadequately staffed security screening line where yesterday the security guard took out my wallet and even unzipped the small side pocket and kept my adult daughter,s granola bar she keeps in her purse for emergencies, this a a farce. Either they need to set up useful screening with removal of coats, etc. Like airports with adequate staffing or they need to stop what they are doing which is worthless for protection.

Cinderella was performing

By sgtabe9 |

Great center. Be warned, if you have seats on the forth level, it can be very scary. If you have height issues, don't go for this level of seating. Great sound, great views from all seats. Enjoyed the performance, not the height. Would have liked being lower.

Beautiful gem in the Fox Valley

By Mary |

Seeing a show here is worth it! I would suggest sitting on the lower levels, paying the extra for a better view. Sat in the top tier with my pre k class for a play. The people on stage were too small! Overall a very well run and fantastic place to take your class to see a play. They have a an entire series for kids all year long. Check their web site for details.

Accessible performing art center with closed captioning

By sablefoxx |

I saw a performance of "The Lion King" here. Great performance & highly recommended. What I noticed during the performance was way more important: a closed caption reader so that folks that are hard of hearing can fully enjoy the performances hosted here. This should give the Fox Cities Performing Arts 10 stars because so few places provide this important service! Maybe this is something the Lion King performance provided, but regardless, the fact the reader is present is HUGE.

"PAC At It's Best"

By Patricia K |

I just got home from Hamilton matinee at the PAC. I had reservations at seeing it, but decided to not pass it by & bought my ticket this week at the box office. I had a great seat in the orchestra section. What a great show of talented actors & spectacular voices. Granted it is rap & very fast moving & energetic. The best thing I could have done before the performance was to download the GalaPro app.offered free of charge. I had a very nice lady help me set it up. It gives you the availability to follow the words on a black screen with red lettering on your cell phone. Not disturbing to the people sitting around you. It would be wonderful to have this possibility for all shows. With live performances it is not always easy to catch all the words. We are so lucky to have the Fox Cities PAC in Appleton. We have seen many shows & looking to add many more to our repertoire in the future.

Outstanding facility

By H3188 |

This is the premier facility for shows in Wisconsin. Amazing sound, not a bad seat in the house, brings in the hottest Broadway shows.

Wonderful Place to See Outstanding Performances

By Kailyn D |

I've been coming here ever since I was about 7 years old and have enjoyed every single visit. My love for theater blossomed and grew from this place and I look forward to seeing many other performances at the PAC for years to come. Parking can be a bit tough; if you don't mind a bit of a walk though you can find some nice parking spots. They don't have many bathrooms either which can be a bit tricky during intermission or after the show, so I recommend avoiding having to use the bathroom at all while you visit the PAC. Great place to bring a large group (can get fantastic group rates)!

Not a bad seat

By Melissa L |

Very nice facility and kind workers. Not a bad seat in the house. Sat top tier for Lion King and Wicked and middle tier for Illusionist, never had a bad view of the show.

Great Venue for Broadway Shows and Concerts

By blonde1023 |

Recently went to the PAC for a musical with the whole family. The facility is beautiful and very well run. Staff is organized and make things move along. We have been here several times and there are no bad seats! A great attraction in the Fox Valley and just a short drive from Green Bay.

Amazing experience

By nifer2317 |

Always provide a 5 Star experience when visiting! An array of shows to choose from. Buy tickets in advance many shows sell out quickly! There is not a bad seat in the house! Greet experience for couples and families!!

Nice place for a shiw

By tokanier |

Although it is starting to show wear & tear it is still a good space to view a performance. It is a nice addition to the community. Located within walking distance of lots of restaurants & bars.

A high class establishment that doesn't 'act' high class. Very friendly and great atmosphere.

By Donna E |

I have come here for plays, symphony, musicals, presentations, and local talent. The accoustics are good whereever you sit. The front row of the balcony seating could feel a bit nausiating if you are afraid of heights.

Celtic Women

By Ed Karen T |

The show was absolutely superb. Getting out of the parking lot took me close to an hour. There is absolutely no damned excuse for that, period. If you and the City of Appleton cannot put something together that makes sense for exiting the thing, I am going to do my best to cut down your attendance, period.

LION KING

By cupcakes-and-tea |

wow, loved this performance!! went with my family ages 13-55. I love that the staff have smiles and some part of their attire that tie together the performance.

Great night out with family or friends

By AmyS |

The PAC is clean, with polite personnel, and decent prices for theater. Valet offered or garage close by.

Add nakashimas for dinner for sushi or hibachi.

Little Mermaid

By Wendy W |

Loved the Little Mermaid. Took my 30 year old daughter to her first Broadway show. Gorgeous colors! Wonderful voices! Nice that there is a paking structure right across from the PAC. How blessed we are to have this venue. Can't wait until our next musical!

Nice Facility - Lucky to Have it in Appleton

By Andrea W |

We go to the PAC quite often for anything from concerts to Broadway shows. The PAC is a nice facility, but was not designed the best. The seats are way too cramped - if you want a more comfortable seat buy a box seat. Tickets are pricey, but you can get cheaper tickets if you sit in the nosebleed section; however, you can't always see all of the stage from up there.

Wonderful venue!

By bpusel |

It was my first time here and I was very impressed with everything about the venue. Very friendly staff, beautifully decorated, great acoustics, and comfortable seating. Looking forward to going again!

Outstanding Shows

By pollyelrod |

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a wonderful venue to see outstanding performances that you would typically have to travel to Chicago or New York to experience. Enjoy the variety of shows that are provided at the PAC.

PAC a gem for the Fox Cities

By DebbyJoe |

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a beautiful facility. The main theater hosts most of the productions/performances but the smaller theater is a nice, versatile space for more intimate concerts and events. As Broadway Series season ticket holders, we appreciate the high caliber productions that the PAC brings in. THe PAC also does a nice job with their other series - Arts Alive and Education.

loved it

By Denise Z |

We went to see the russian ballet of cinderella. There is not a bad seat in the house. Staff are very personable and so friendly.

Outstanding venue

By Mark C |

I have seen multiple shows here. Most seats are good but avoid the sides if possible. My favorite spot is second row in the middle of the dress circle. Shorter people may not like the main floor as the rise is not steep enough to see over the person in front of you. My only disappointment was leaving at intermission when the concert band was way too loud and I was afraid of damaging my ears. I learned after the fact that ear plugs would have. Even available.

PAC

By lolagirl2015 |

Good venue, have to be careful when booking tickets as there are seats that are behind pillars and blocks the stage.

Fabulous facility!

By HotelLife2014 |

This is my favorite theater in the country. Beautiful and comfortable place to see a Broadway tour! They also frequently host other events, concerts and shows. :-)

Comfortable beautiful setting for theatre and symphony

By khanes |

Comfortable and beautiful setting for local and traveling theatre and symphony. Not a bad seat in the house. Parking is convenient and they also offer valet for most shows.

poor design of seating

By Lorelei S |

The main floor has 1 very wide center section with a shorter section on each side. There is no aisle along the outside of these outer wing sections. The balconies have very, very long rows that go all the way across with no center aisle for quick escape in case of a fire. If you have claustrophobia, choose wisely.

Never a bad show

By William C |

I have seen several shows at the PAC and I have yet to get a bad seat. Parking is convenient right across the street and they have valet parking. Lots of restaurants and bars near by to make it a complete night both before and after.

Fox Cities PAC... WOW!

By Alan L |

Beautiful venue for ANY performance! Comfortable seating, great acoustics, plenty of people to help you find your seat. Plenty of parking right across a VERY controlled street during performances.
And the performances booked here are on a par with anything you might expect from a sophisticated metropolitan venue. I recommend anyone to pick their show and GO!

Great Venue!

By DeBBy JaMeS |

See many shows here. It's great to have Broadway shows not far from my home. I am a supporter of the Fox Cities PAC and hope they will continue to bring great theater in the years to come.

No bad seats

By Tom B |

I saw the Happy Together tour. Nice building with every seat close enough to the stage. Great staff.

Hotel California

By Kim K |

Went to see an Eagles tribute band. Sat in the first upper level. Great seats and view of the performance. Acoustics was excellent! Staff was very friendly and readily available. Multiple bars made for a short wait too get a refreshment. Absolutely nothing negative to say.

Over rated

By shelly b |

It looks nice on the outside, bit inside it looks old and poorly constructed (cheap looking). I can't speak for the 'better' seating area, but the seats were way too small and crowded together. I'm not a larger person, but the people I was with are-they were very uncomfortable crammed in the seats. The seat rows are very long with the only way out being either end of the row making it difficult to get up to get a drink or use the restroom, everyone has to stand up to let you squeeze past.
The staff/ volunteers were very friendly and helpful.

Price gouging

By Andre |

First off the PAC a gorgeous venue! I have seen several shows there. The talent is always top notch! What I am writing about is the ridiculous new cup "law" in place. When ordering a beverage you are not allowed to bring it into the show. UNLESS....... for an additional $3.00 on top of the $6.00 you already paid you get a "special " plastic cup with the PAC written on it! Seriously? I can't bring the $6.00 drink into the show but somehow the $9.00 beverage is what, spill proof?? I think that after paying $71.50 for a seat in the nose bleed section I should be able to sit like a big girl with my wine and not have to purchase some cheap plastic cup! I was very disappointed with this, as soon as we ordered or drinks the show was ready to start and both myself and my cousin had to leave practically a full glass of wine! Had only I bought the "magical" $9.00 wine....... Darn it!

The P.A.C. Always Provides Amazing Experiences

By Amanda M |

This venue provides our area with shows, plays, and musicals we used to have to travel to see. The building itself is breathtaking, the staff is always so friendly and make you feel like they have known you for years. I also strongly recommend utilizing the valet when available. The service is well worth the fee in my eyes. I was driving on College Avenue less than fifteen minutes from when the curtain closed. Everything about this venue is enjoyable!

Friendly, beautiful place for a show

By RDM12345 |

My wife and I took my parents and aunt for a Christmas show there. The volunteer staff are friendly, and go out of their way to help. The concert hall is very nice and there are good snacks and drinks for sale. The valet parking is fast and reasonably priced. The only bad thing about going to a show there are the horrendous Ticketmaster fees, but that is not the fault of the Performing Arts Center.

THE BODYGUARD

By Apples59 |

An amazing performance by the touring company for "The Bodyguard". The actors were extremely talented and, dare I say it?? I think the extra Whitney songs made it better than the movie. A must see show!! Spoiler alert: Don't even think about leaving early!!!
And it's always a good seat at the PAC!

What a treat...every time!!

By LoriBrad2016 |

This venue offers something for everyone...from Broadway plays to music and dance. The staff help make the evening pleasant. The customer service is friendly and helpful.

Tastefully appointed but not ostentatious. Great acoustics

By Todd@KenMar |

A great place to go for concerts, performances, and plays. I've seen local performers, Broadway plays, and national acts there. Always a great time!

We're fortunate to have this PAC here, right downtown.

By noni2lily |

This is a great venue for the traveling broadway hits, as well as local events. It's conveniently located downtown close to restaurants and hotels. Our 7 year old granddaughter has enjoyed attending shows here with us as well.

By mx07419 |

From start to finish the sets and building were amazing. they had small amounts of drinks and food, snacks available. They announced the begin of play and people had ample time to make it to their seats.
Building was clean and orderly.
My only complaint of the night was that I felt the chairs were not super comfortable. My butt was sore by intermission. It was an amazing date and would return with the kids next time.

Broadway in N.E. Wisconsin !!!

By Stephen S |

Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Annie and on. Combination of private donations, corporate donations and local governments have provided an absolute state-of-the-art facility that rivals any other in the State, despite the city's and Fox Valley's size and population compared to other major cities in the State.
Have attended these and other shows as well as other smaller productions (plays, etc.). The acoustics and view of the stage are fantastic !! Then.... there's Appleton's wonderful Downtown. Pick your variety of restaurants, pubs, specialty shops, first-class accommodations. Perfect !!!

Great Venue!

By LiLa521 |

We've seen a few theater productions here, most recently the Lion King. Excellent venue, well organized with very helpful and friendly volunteers. Unobstructed views of the stage.

Good venue

By Shelby999 |

Saw Wicked here. The seats were comfortable and there didn't seem to be a bad seat. The drinks were reasonable as well.

Fabulous venue

By Becky W |

This theater in the center of a very pedestrian friendly city is WONDERFUL. The acoustics are excellent, staff superb, parking easy, two great hotels (Copperleaf and Radisson) a very short walk away. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Stay and play in Appleton

Loved it!

By Jen W |

We came up from Chicago to see Phantom of the Opera, and were so pleased with the experience. I have seen many plays in theaters big and small, and this was one of my favorites. This theater could fit in in any major city. It's big and spacious and very well maintained with comfortable seats. There are multiple levels, and we were on the top (3rd flight up), and despite being in the nose bleed section we still had a great view. In fact, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house here. There are no view obstructions you can sometimes run into in older theaters that have columns or weird layouts. The staff was friendly, and looked the other way when my husband and I moved a few rows down after intermission. We were there on a Sunday night and there were a lot of empty seats. I would definitely make the trip up to Appleton again if there was a performance we could not see in Chicago for some reason.

It's Okay for a Small City Venue

By Frequenttraveler082 |

I've lived in Appleton for 25 years. I've been to performances in venues in large cities. The Fox Cities PAC is okay. If you want to stay put in Appleton for a performance, it's an okay option.

They tend to get productions that have been popular in other cities. Many repeat productions of Wicked, Mama Mia, Lion King - lots of repeats. The quality of the productions is usually 'okay' for a small city. The venue itself is quite spartan in design. We don't attend many performances at this venue, even though we live in town. If I want to see a national production, I'll opt for a larger city - Milwaukee or Chicago, NYC for a real treat.

Lawrence University, also in Appleton, has fantastic performances by very talented, nationally and internationally recognized performers, as well as highly talented students. Cost is usually free or very very reasonable.

Great shows

By catsandguitars |

I get tickets every year for the PAC. They have a great variety of shows making it well worth the hour drive. Highly recommended indeed!

We went to the phantom of the opera. Acoustics were so so. I had seen the show at the Clydesdale Center in Honolulu, HI.

By azellner1 |

The PAC needs better acoustics. At times the orchestra overwhelmed the singing.i did see the show in the Clydesdale Center in Honolulu, HI. To me, it seems that the acoustics in the Clydesdale were better than in the PAC.

By Lori G |

There is not a bad seat in this place. I have been to many performances here and have had a great time! Wonderful statf, great food and drinks.

Very nice venue

By Mary R |

I've seen several plays and concerts here. The acoustics are good, and there truly is not a bad seat in the house.

Very nice theater

By David |

This is a newer theater. The facility is very well laid out with a large lobby/greeting area. The seats and aisles are roomy and the sound is great. Parking is a bit of a challenge. I recommend the valet parking.

"Cabaret"

By Patricia K |

Excellent show. So much talent & energy. The cast did a fantastic job. They are multi-talented as actors & musicians. We are so fortunate to have such a fine performing arts theater in our town. It is always a special evening out. We have seen so many wonderful productions & looking forward to even more in the future.

Great facility!

By KAK |

Recently moved to Appleton from Arizona. Bought tickets to Book of Mormon and attended the production. Seats were comfortable but a bit tight (not much personal space).

big city entertainment in a smaller town

By James W |

Fox Cities PAC has wonderful acoustics. There is not a bad seat in the house. At 2000 seats even the "nosebleed" third balcony is close enough to the stage to see and hear without opera glasses or other aids. The Broadway shows are on the national touring schedule (smallest house on the tour).
We also have some shows designed for the students and offered through the schools, which are very reasonably priced but not advertised to the general public
There are also a couple of dance competitions which are free to spectators but not likely to be known about unless one has a competitor in the family..
My only objections to the theater are the size of the seats and the cost of tickets for general public shows and concerts. The seats are not designed for larger people. Unfortunately we are a growing group. As for the prices, My wife and I can travel 2 hours to a much smaller town, get a gourmet meal with our show, and see first class acting and still save money over the cost of the same show at the Fox Cities PAC.

Community Treasure

By Happy E |

The Fox Cities PAC is an excellent venue for a multitude of Broadway and community shows and concerts. We are season subscribers to the Fox Valley Symphony as well as the Broadway series of shows. We appreciate having the PAC in our community to bring the fine arts to Appleton. The facility is lovely and all the seats are very good. We highly recommend the PAC!

Every visit is a mini vacation

By DavidVanDyke |

The Appleton PAC is an awesome experience. The shows, facility, staff and volunteers work together to create and amazing 2 - 3 hours escape. Thank you to everyone who made this dream a reality and all those who keep the dream alive.

Excellent!

By nancy4833 |

We love this theater. Seats are all pretty good since it isn't too big. It is newer and well kept and prices low compared to what you pay in larger cities. And they bring in the big names.

Beautiful venue

By David |

This is such a beautiful place that offers many great national shows in a small town. My wife and I love going here for a show. Parking across the street is easy and the staff is very helpful while your there. Definitely recommend this place if you see a show you are interested in.

Great first experience at the PAC

By that1travelmama |

Went to my first show at the PAC and it was great! Ushers were friendly and the seats were perfect. Purchased tickets for my parents for a show and they loved it too - overall awesome experience - perfect for families, couples and theater-lovers alike.

Wild Kratts

By Tammy S |

We took our kid here for Wild Kratts Live. Not a bad seat in the place. Kids loved it. Reasonable prices too

Love the PAC

By ne1travel |

My wife and I try to catch one or two plays/shows a year. The PAC is beautiful. The acoustics are wonderful. Have seen Wicked, Phantom, Jersey Boys just to name a few. So they really bring a great variety of broadway to Appleton.
One tip....try to sit in lower sections. Not sure why, but when they designed the PAC, the balcony seating is a real pain. You can only enter/exit your row from the ends, no isles in middle of the row. At 6'3" I tired of trying to crawl over people. Also, the rails inthe balcony obstruct my wife's view (5'3"). So therefore, it's worth the extra price for the lower seating.
Just go....you WILL enjoy!

By Mel52088 |

I recently attended Jersey Boys, and the show was great. It was a wonderful production. Parking was super cheap and nearby. However, the theater should have been designed better. We were on the second level, and there was no way I would have been able to go to the bathroom without being horribly disruptive. There are far too many seats between aisles. I also found it to be overpriced - $100 for the last row on the second level is too much. It was an enjoyable experience, but I'd rather attend the Guthrie in Minneapolis.

Great facility

By teacher314 |

We attended a concert here on a Friday night in December. It was not our first time at this PAC, and we have enjoyed our visits each time. The hall is very large and the seats are comfortable. The acoustics are GREAT and we can always see the stage well from our seats in the orchestra section. Getting to our seats took a bit of time as there was a bottleneck of people trying to get down one small aisle. We enjoyed the various beverage stations in the lobby before the show and at intermission, including a wine station and a table where they were selling Madison-area Karben4 beer! The staff is always very friendly and helpful, although they can get a bit grouchy after the show when they are trying to clear out the lobby (I can understand; it's late and they want to get home, but they can remind people to leave without making them feel bad). I also performed in the show and was impressed with the large and well-maintained backstage facilities as well.

Lucky to have this in Appleton

By Cdrlinda |

Have been season ticket holders for several years! The shows brought in are fantastic. I believe the Kimberly Clark Theater, a smaller venue, could be put to better use.

Execellent Theater experience, every time!

By SheriTuz |

The Fox Cities PAC is a wonder venu for all arts, every show is just wonderful. The theater is absoutely beautiful! From the moment you walk in the door, the experience is over the top. Volunteers open the doors and greet you, wishing you a wonderful evening and 'enjoy the show'. The concessions are convient, the lobby very nice and the theater very comfortable.
We have been season ticket holders since the place opened for both the arts alive season and the broadway season, and LOVE the entire experience.

great facility, great line up of events

By gregp422 |

The Fox Cities PAC does a great job of booking the best touring events in the nation. If it just left Broadway and it's touring the pAC will book it for their patrons. I'm a season ticket holder and I've seen Jersey Boys, Wicked, Dirty Dancing, among other plays in the last few years. In the next year I'll see Kinky Boots and Newsies. This venue gets the events at the same time or before the larger markets such as Chicago and Minn-St Paul. The facility itself is new, modern and top notch. the staff is friendly. The parking is close by, cheap, and dining options are within blocks of the venue.

Getting outta reach

By BigDannyBear |

Prices go up and up. It's outta reach for us common folk. Love the place but to expensive. Don't have a money tree in the back yard to pick.

Great Venue, Terrible Parking

By Beth H |

I took my 10 and 11 year old daughters to see Shaping Sound. We were coming from over two hours away, and I easily found the Theater. The parking was easy in the Green Ramp across the street. All was going great. The performance was amazing. The venue was great, and the staff inside were all friendly.

I knew it was going to be late before we arrived home, but I had no idea it would take over 45 minutes just to get out of the parking structure. I have never had such traffic getting out of a structure before. It was ridiculous. Appleton is not a huge city, and I have been in parking structures in other larger cities, with more cars, and never had that experience before.

We ended up not getting home until after 12:30 am because of our 50-60 minutes we were stuck in the structure. There has to be a more efficient way of getting cars out of there. I would recommend avoiding the parking structure, and looking for street parking.

Love the Fox Cities Performing Art Center

By Laurie P |

We have been season ticket holders for years. The venue and staff are top notch. They offer a wide variety of musical performances both nationally known as well as local performers. What a treat to have this gem in the Fox Cities!

PAC never disappoints

By Gloria B |

I've seen a few dozen shows here. Most recently, we saw Beauty and the Beast. There truly isn't a bad seat in the PAC. Even in the "cheap seats", you get caught up in the story and forget you're in the cheap seats. I've sat in more expensive seating once and in the family circle all the other times and I will prob continue to purchase family circle seating.

Great for a date

By Cathy R |

I have been here several times for the musical performances. They seating is great, there are no bad seats. Very clean please and staff is friendly and helpful. Bar is extremely pricey. I did have an issue one time with the bar, bartender and my drinks, I took it up with a manager and it was instantly resolved! Cudos to them for recognizing the issue and rectifying it!

Bad seats great show

By lileire |

Seating was horrible. I thought I had bought an aisle seat per the map looked like one. It wasnt it was 2nd floor and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable and no knee room.

The show Moulin Rouge was really good. Slow to start but became much better. Christian whom played Christian he was the best singer and carried the whole show.

SAVE MONEY on school day educational performances. outstanding venue, valet or self parking available

By John E |

We have had a great experience here with many shows through our years of living here from before the place was built. One of the hidden gems of this place is the educational programming they offer. It's all on the website with details about educational shows. You can go as an individual or family to these abbreviated versions of nighttime shows - and it's also common they have age-specific shows of different programs than are playing at night.

Nice place but the staff are rude

By Freqtravel123 |

The building is nice and everything is modern and nice looking. However i have been here on several occasions and each time the Staff were terrible, Rude and just had an attitude like you were bothering them by being there. I try and avoid this place in the future.

Awesome Theatre!

Have been here for several concerts and it is one of my favorite places to go! The acoustics are fantastic, seats are very comfortable, and there is not a bad seat in the place. Plenty of room and parking is easy with the ramp right next door. Lots of great places to go after if you want to continue the night.

Easy in and easy out. Ample parking aright across the street. Top notch entertainment. We will do this again.

Love this place

We've been here twice - both time for The Wicked - and both times were great. The show is fabulous, and the PAC itself is a great place to watch whatever it is you are there for. Great views, comfortable seats, and a staff that is very helpful with any need or question you may have.

Great place

All the volunteers are great people. They help you when they can or will find someone who can. Shows are great.

Very nice theater!

The seating is outstanding. I have seen many performances here and I have nothing negative to say. It is wonderful to have such a stellar place to see live entertainment. I look forward to attending every opportunity that I get.

The acoustics are awesome!!

Have seen 4 concerts at the venue all have been outstanding. Have seen Chicago the Band twice, The Beach Boys, and Vince Gill.

AWESOME

What a great blessing to have this in little ol' Appleton. They have great and surprising performers and shows that come thru considering this is a smallish city. The local symphony is awesome and the programs they have for children and schools are amazing as well.

Recent changes not for the better.....

We had tickets to see Come From Away on Saturday night with friends. The show was wonderful and amazing as expected. But we had had two major surprises in our evening. First when we went to park the car, were charged five dollars (cash only) for parking in the structure across the street. It’s been free at every show we’ve been to since it opened. Second, if you had a purse of medium size and didn’t fit in this black box, you weren’t allowed to bring it inside. This made a lot of problems for a lot of women.

First Class Broadway Style shows and a variety of entertainment !

By Jane B |

We have seen dozens of performances here and they all have been GREAT !
Jersey Boys was fantastic, Twelve Angrey Men was one of my favorites.
The costumes in Lion King were unbelievable !
The accustoms are extraordinary, we have sat in the front row and the very top balcony and there is no difference.
When we sit in the uppers, I bring a small pair of binoculars and I can see fine details on faces.

Nice place

Very nice venue. Friendly staff. Clean. Very cramped in your seat though and on the upper levels you have to pass several people in your row in order to get out. Not bathrooms on every floor. The shows though are amazing and I am so glad to have this venue in my town.

Great venue for a great symphony orchestra

By Karen K |

There is not a bad seat in the house! Attended the symphony concert last Saturday evening and the acoustics are phenomenal but the Fox Valley Symphony is better than all of the above. Don’t hesitate to attend anything presented in the PAC, all concerts, musicals, plays, etc are outstanding( remember Tony Bennett performed in May). The volunteer staff does everything in their ability to make certain your evening is the best it can possibly be! Ticket prices vary for each presentation and they are definitely reasonable. Go, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

Oportunity

The performances that are offered are of excellent quality. The venue is outstanding. There really is not a bad seat in the entire auditorium. I base this on shows that I have attended in New York and Chicago. In fact I would say the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is better in many respects. There is a choice of many excellent restaurants in the area.

HAMILTON - Fox Cities PAC

By Mark R |

We believe the Fox Cities PAC is one of the jewels of the area. The venue is fantastic and very well maintained for the size of metro area.

The facility is beautiful and attracts high quality entertainment. Over the years we have seen some great musicals like The Lion King, Come Away Home, The Play That Went Wrong and of course Hamilton.

We have also enjoyed The Grinch, The Blue Man Group, Mannheim Steamroller, and Darcy Lynn.

The staff of volunteers are very well trained and very knowledgeable. There are many selections of drinks and snacks available.

The only negative is the auditorium does not have enough slant. We are constant bobbing our heads to see the stage when a taller person sits in front of us.

Great place!

Great entertainment

Welcoming

By Kat393 |

Have been to the PAC twice in the last month, and the volunteer staff are wonerful.friendly, helpful and welcoming. The shows were great, and I look forward to this more and more. Great performances.

I don't think their is a bad seat in the place!

By suzz22bd |

It is so easy to get to this venue and parking right across the street
makes it even nicer. Go to the Fox Cities PAC and see the same shows that are in Madison and Milwaukee without the hassle!

GREAT CENTER!!!

By Tigerman777 |

The PAC is a phenomenal place to see concerts and plays!!!! I've seen the magnificent Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Lord of the Dance, Acoustic Africa, the intro to the Mile of Music and several other shows here. Most seats in the PAC have good/great views of the stage!! The acoustics are great here as well. One thing I've done at times to get the best price is to ask what the cheapest seats are, then bring binoculars to see up close and personal. That worked especially well at the Lion King, with expansive scenes of the animals. I've been in the front row and back row and I like both. Some of the shows have behind the scenes shows before the main show and should not be missed. Acoustic Africa had drum sessions, which was great! It's always been a great time visiting here. Every now and then Groupon has deals to see shows here. I look forward to going here again in the future😊.

Nice theater!

We have seen many plays here! Wonderful group of people work here to make it a great experience! We prefer the side box seats!

Nice venue

By Irene S |

We have been here for several shows, and we must drive almost 200 miles - this time for "Beautiful". We have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the plays very well done, and the sound alright. The seats are too small, but the view from any of the seats is great. PAC offers many of the true and tested shows, and a few new options. We will come again, and thank you for offering good shows!

Beautiful building

By Gloria Jean B |

What a beautiful building. Saw Little Mermaids today. Great show. BUT.....Way WAY over priced $500 for 4 tickets. The presentation was very nice but for a family event this was a ridiculous price. The average family could not afford to take their children. If Disney is in charge of the ticket prices could some Appleton companies underwrite part of the cost for the average or below average family’s. Is this the same pricing as the show moves to other community PAC’s??? Just saying....

Beautiful, first class facility.

By veratom |

The Fox Cities Performing Art Center is a top-notch facility. They have wonderful Broadway shows, local talent, national entertainers, and concerts. Located downtown Appleton, a vibrant downtown with great restaurants, pubs, shops and other entertainment venues. The Fox Cities is a safe and thriving cluster of cities working together to proudly serve the residents and visitors. Attending a performance at the PAC is strongly recommended.

Awesome shows

By Ashley S |

I love going to the pac. They have a variety of shows that range from family friendly musicals to concerts. The touring broadway shows they get are always amazing and the seats they offer for all price ranges are very comfortable. Definitely worth going to.

plays, comedians, concerts a little for everyone to enjoy!

By annonymousa_13 |

We have seen Lion King, Chelsea Lately comedians, David Copperfield, Celtic Dancers, Stomp and concerts. Have never bee disappointed at all. Excellent addition for the Fox Cities Community. Now bring on the convention center!!

Excellent venue

By Jennifer N |

Recently there for a dance competition. Many of their workers are volunteers from the community. The dance competition ran late every night. The staff was wonderful. Good snack selection at snack bar. Clean dressing rooms for dancers.

Great Entertainment

By 472Maggie |

The PAC is a great opportunity to see plays and concerts. The quality of Broadway shows that are at the PAC are comparable to bigger cities.

Venue is great- only need the perfect show

By iliketoeateat |

The PAC is a great place to see a show. It has the size to hold a lot of people but is small enough to really not have a bad seat. We saw the Lion KIng this year which was spectacular. I wasn't sure how good it could be but it absolutely lived up to its billing. Wicked last year was stunning and truly enjoyable for our entire family. We will be back.

Wonderful Experience!

Great show! So much fun! The building was beautiful! The employees were very helpful. Everything was wheelchair accessible! I can't wait to go back in September.
