Good free dance party and a chip dale booth lot of bars and restaurants and stores so on so get out your dancing shoes!

By smithsandra1 |

A lot to do see a dance party and shop but not a public restroom and nine out 10 a restaurant would not let you use their restroom unless you were a customer

This is where the cheap meals are in Vegas!

By Tourist29536621909 |

Cool way to see the old area, beautiful way to preserve the history. Light show is wonderful. The overhead zipline looked like fun!

An absolute must!

By Love to enjoy ‘go / don't go’ ? |

Vegas is generally mind blowing but there is nowhere on the strips main drag you can hang around and drink, of course there are bars, restaurants, and clubs but you are confined to a table.

Freemont is essentially a ‘street’ there is the incredible ‘roof’ which makes any picture beautiful.

You have bars etc where you can take a drink stand and take in what’s happening around you. There’s at least one music stage if not more.

This is the place to enjoy, relax and be amused. I could be wrong but I don’t think there is anywhere like it in Vegas.

Flying down Freemont

By Laura D |

We did the hero zoom line over Freemont street. It was the most amazing experience in my life. It was the one thing I had to cross off my bucket list and I did it in style. The staff was efficient and friendly. Patient and knowledgeable.

It’s an Experience alright “HORRIBLE”

By Dianna S |

We parked in the garage and walked over to the “Fremont Experience” in the early afternoon. It was horrible. I was with my husband, holding his hand, just walking down the middle. It was packed with people, loud, half naked people soliciting. I was approached by a scantily dressed woman, she was inches away from my face. I said I am not interested, she continued to badger me, right in my face. I finally said “STAY AWAY from me”. After she said several rude statements, she finally left me alone. Needless to say, we lasted one block and got out of there.

Famous 'Experience' - with a lot of hype

By mike t |

A well advertized "Experience" with a lot of hype but in reality there were a lot of tacky stalls selling Las Vegas tat under a colourful roof. There were a number of good street performers and some live music. Very noisy with lots of alcohol although there were few openly drunk people. Glad I went for the experience but would I go again ... No. Taxi from mid-strip $40 each way so unless you are actively participating, not just viewing, it could be considered expensive. Alternative is to use Public transport, the Deuce bus runs regularly, journey time about an hour from mid-strip. Cost $6 for 2 hours of $8 all-day use.

An outdoor smoking section for indigent people

By NCfamily77 |

I'll start by saying this could be an "us" problem. The overhead canopy was cool, but the rest of the area was a tough scene. Admittedly we aren't smokers or drug users, but we had a hard time figuring out the draw of this area. The Linq Promenade feels more like what Fremont Street could be. We get the vision, but the population and denizens of Fremont detract from it.

A must walk through

By Grace H |

Tree concerts going on at the same time, you can take your pick! Fun times definitely for over 21 for sure, a must walk-by experience.

Yes it's an experience!

By Welshgal1968 |

Well what to say - it's an experience! The uber driver on the way gave us the lowdown, where not to stray etc and so glad he did! Although there was lot of visible security, it just didn't feel safe. The smell of weed was overwhelming - we're not smokers and if that's your vibe then fine but it was just too much (but we found the whole of Vegas stunk of it!).

Free entry, it's located in downtown Vegas - definitely wouldn't walk there, druggies literally line the streets. Lots of "exotic" entertainment who badger everyone, especially the males in your party! They won't take no for an answer!!

The covered ceiling light show is spectacular, you can zip wire the length of the street which is probably awesome. Some great bands and street entertainers - I would say definitely an adult venue although there were some families with children.

It was one of those "must do" experiences I guess but not sure I would repeat it!

You Can See It ALL on Fremont Street

By GARY W |

Incredible Experience walking down Freemont Street with friends. Every block seem to have a different band and sound. Multiple places to get food and drinks. Walking around with a cocktail in hand is very nice! The enclosed LED ceiling is gorgeous with ever changing graphics and videos. The zip line flying down Freemont Street is a Must Do Adventure.

Unique experience!

By Cecilia H |

The Freemont consists of approximately 4 blocks with hotels, casinos, souvenir shops, places to drink and eat and along the way is covered by a giant screen on the roof that changes images simulating the sky, space, giving very beautiful colored lights and shapes. In the street there are also people doing shows or promoting their halentos. All with very good atmosphere and music day and night. Highly recommended.

Excellent

By Vera B |

Best arrangements in the whole trip. The hotel at Las Vegas, Nevada were so good !! Overall it is good , Excellent arrangements

A Las Vegas more alive than on the Strip

By Corinne M Chanel |

Unbelievable this difference between the old Las Vegas and the new with the strip nothing to do. Here everything is more authentic people let go of the free attractions the biggest screen in the world below your heads, mini street concerts, mix street artists, tourists, prostitutes, junkies it must be said all this in an atmosphere a little creepy sometimes but more alive than the strip. Watch out for dancers in small outfits who accost you to take pictures, in the end it always pays and they do it relatively well... a nice experience to have come to make the comparison with the now fashionable Las Vegas.

Not worth a visit

By Katz23 |

In broad daylight, it's filled with drunk, confused and drug-addicted people.
The smell of weed is everywhere and there is not much to experience, we were there for at most 15min and were constantly harassed by beggars and street vendors, and 30€ parking poorer.

Fremont Experience the show ✨️✨️✨️

By Talalelei T |

A lot of cool performers here. Singers, DJs, Magicians, Dancers, show girls etc. Bring some $$$ hard currency they normally need some from the crowd to start the performance. Drinks here much more expensive than other areas of Las Vegas and the Strip. Some good places to eat. Plenty of Casinos here to bet at. Overall a very cool setting the roof has different graphics that show and give the whole area a different vibe / experience throughout the day / night. If you're in Vegas for sure 100% go check it out.

Beginning of Las Vegas

By Mardipp |

We were meeting at the beginning of August 2025.
We went by car at the end of the day, early night to see the difference in lights
There are several paid parking with direct access to the street.
Many souvenir shops, bars and casinos.
Lots of police in the area.
It’s worth the tour to see where Las Vegas started.

Everyone should go Once!

By sobelle97 |

I mean its very cool to see at least once- we go early for the 1st show at 6pm. We don’t stay late unless there’s a good band playing that we like. The outdoor bar drinks are expensive -like $15 each for cocktails! The zipliners flying overhead is cool too but there are shady people here, street performers & you can smell pot. Different vibe than the strip.

Freemont Street experience

By Julie G |

The over the top street performers were great. Awesome entertainment, the overhead show was fun. Watching the zip liners coming by. The many street performers begging for tips, photos with them cost $$, and the random crazies were something to be aware of. I was traveling with friends from the UK who were both dazzled and confused. The concept of continuous begging for tips EVERYWHERE was not welcomed. They felt a bit unsafe at times. But it's Las Vegas...

Great Time!

By suespagnuolo |

Fremont Street Experience is always a great time. I loved the canopy with Shikra and her music. The street performers are wonderful and we had so much fun.

Anniversary Trip

By Louis C |

The overhead visual display has been greatly improved since our last visit in 2023. Highly recommend stopping by just to see that.

Oh what a nite!

By Jan E |

It was a fantastic experience. Freemont street is a trip in itself. It was fun to see all the colors in the sky. And the zip-liners. And the people watchers.

Crazy sights and loud sounds!

By Heather B |

If you like loud places, strange sights, and weird smells..this is the place for you. The ceiling lights are pretty and there are lots of places to eat and shop. Parking ended up being a pain because to get your card validated, you had to either be a guest of some hotels, eat there, or gamble. It sure is an experience. Personally not one for us, but now I can say I’ve been there.

Next level street experience.

By jholdermann |

Crazy cool venue to check out. Incredible technology with all the variable light shows within the canopy covering Fremont. Several outside musical acts. One of a kind.

It appears to be darker and less inviting than the rest of the experience.

By Jimbo Y |

This looks like a pretty good approach to draw attention to the historic downtown. There were a lot of various venues, options, and people, and I really loved the neighborhood and the light display. An already unusual combination is enhanced by the street entertainers and live music.

Too Much Smoke

By Jerome M |

Walking through the experience was not too bad except for the smoking people. The air was filled with the aroma of tobacco and other unpleasant smells. The area gets crowded at night and there is no place to stop and rest as you walk from one end of the experience to the other end. This is not a good place for children at night because of some of the scantily dressed women and men.

Fremont Street is a must see.

By Sharon D |

Our trip from the MGM Grand on the Vegas strip to old downtown Vegas and Fremont Street was INCREDIBLE. This is a must do for everyone. Fremont street experience is fun, relaxing and has all the great neon of years past. Whether it was gambling the old classics, walking on Fremont street, we can’t say enough, a must do event. We will be back !

I live here it's pretty racist plus all the junkies

By Lucian A |

I live in the surrounding area, and when I go for my morning walks through fremont street experience because it's scenic all I see is full blown heroine, fentanyl, opioid addicts sprawled up, and down Fremont Street experience. It's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt because these drug junkies are harmless. Don't let the lights fool you.

Fremont Street Experience

By RCC@JGR |

Our enjoyable experience characterized by the vibrant atmosphere of a street party, complemented by music that invites one to dance amidst the smoky surroundings. On our 1st night they featured DJs playing music on the 3 different stages while on our 2nd night showcased live bands. We savored the food and drinks while appreciating the captivating lights, creating a delightful ambiance.

Party and constant fun

By Ale O |

If you go to Vegas it is essential that you visit Fremont Street in Down Town, it is totally free and full of things to see (shows on 3 stages and the giant screen on the roof with shows every hour) plus an excellent Mood to dance and drink as if you were at a huge party.

A Crazy and Fun Vegas Experience

By Laara A |

I went to Fremont Street, and it was wild! The huge LED screen above the street was amazing, playing cool light shows. There were live bands, street performers, and a fun party vibe everywhere. I think it's a great place to feel the old-school Vegas energy.

The zipline looked awesome, but a bit pricey. Walking around is free, though! I’d say go at night when it’s the most exciting.

Blame it on my ADD baby

By NeoWasHere |

We visited on Tax Day night and used their parking garage at 111 4th Street. Parking rates there were $4/hour up to a $20 maximum. They say to allow 1.5-2 hours for a visit to Fremont Street, but we only spent 42 minutes. Honestly, I wasn't feeling it. Too many people. I also wasn't all that comfortable walking around with my son while a lot of the street performers were nearly nude.

I was originally interested in checking out the SlotZilla zipline before we came, but my interest faded when we got there. Too expensive, too short, and just not worth it.

Even though the summer concert series didn't begin until after we were there, I do want to mention for others they offer 13 FREE concerts showcasing 23 bands between May 24th to October 18th. AWOLNATION, along with Gym Class Heroes, will be performing this coming Saturday, August 9th.

Always a good time.

By John R |

Alway enjoy the Fremont experience for the bands and professional entertainment. While it is expected that street entertainment is available, it would be nice if the entertainment that runs , flips and requires space be assigned to a space that is not near a street crossing.

Cute makeover on the roof

By Roxana Z |

Good rock, country and Latin live bands were presented, which I didn’t like many drunk people especially young.

American madness ..... Great.

By Sylvie G |

Do not hesitate to discover in addition to the Strip the historic center of Las Vegas, where it all began!!... A street full of surprises, street shows, shops and a place more "intimate" than the Strip..

I suppose if you're a drunken kid, it's cool!

By Lomunchi |

I guess this is where the teenagers hang out now. If you like raunchy T-shirts and REALLY LOUD music along with mostly high or drunk people... this may be your party place. As we walked it, nothing really appealed to us so we Ubered out as quickly as possible.

Not for everyone

By Maria S |

This was not for me. Super crowded, loud, and crazy. To be fair, we went on a Saturday night & the place was packed, so we probably went on the wrong night for non-party people. We just felt there was no where to stand to avoid drunk people walking into you. Weed smell everywhere and really nothing to do for kids under 21. Definitely not a place to bring young kids at night. If you want a crazy street party experience, however, you would probably love it.

Old Las Vegas...

By Raul Boni |

Known as Old Las Vegas, where it all started, but still with many casinos and attractions, located far from the center of the “new” Las Vegas, free entry to the street decorated across the ceiling with Leds. There are restaurants, bars, choperies and casinos all over it. Paid parking nearby.

Awesome fun night!

By Jaime S |

Awesome experience! I thought it would be overwhelming with so much going on but I had a blast! The music was great, lots to see & do.

Good place to meet.

By Brigid B |

It is a picturesque place to meet. We went during the day, maybe at night it is more attractive, it took us less than 30 minutes to travel it. Although I wouldn't stay in the area because the atmosphere is better on the Strip

Old Las Vegas

By Tom |

The Freemont Street Experience is great, much different to the main strip. Old school casinos and a long strip with loads of street performers and bands playing.

WORTH EVERY DOLLAR

By Jackilyn C |

Had a blast watching the performers and listening to the music. The screen is AMAZING. Never seen anything like it. Enjoyed meeting so many people from all over the world

Crazy and awesome at the same time

By Oldguitarmike |

Freemont Street is a must see when in Vegas. There are numerous casinos within easy walking distance from each o. T can get crowd and loud, but you'll never know what you might see out on the street. Police presents made me feel safe at all times.

Loved it, also ziplined!

By N0rmalee |

We walked down Fremont Street and had a quick bite at Denny’s, enjoyed the people watching. We saw various people sitting in these circles on the pavement selling stuff. I learned from a local that they pay to occupy that circle, pay so much per minute or hour or whatever. One guy sat there with pieces of paper spread out in front of him, maybe selling poems or something? Some interesting shops…definitely worth a visit!

Worth the taxi ride from the strip

By BrendaK6955 |

Lots to see and do here. Worth the taxi ride from the strip. LED show and music overhead can hold one’s attention for quite awhile. There’s lots of interesting characters down here. I don’t recommend taking young children here, there’s a few things going on that are not child appropriate.

Fremont St disappoints.....again

By Medmag |

The whole area seemed seedy and not appealing. There was a heavy police presence when we visited and after we did our first planned activity we decided to leave and not even bother with the second, choosing to take a hit on the money. After two strangers challenging us, one of them encouraging us to take our 14 year old son into a dive of a bar, we felt we were on our guard, hyper-vigilant and not enjoying ourselves. It certainly wasn't a pleasant environment and I'd go as far to say that it just didn't feel safe.....My wife and I visited over 20 years ago and had not been that impressed. We pretty much feel we wasted our time returning with our son, who said he was glad when we decided to leave.

Loved this place

By NATO2012 |

What a great experience with a massive amount of free entertainment. Love the fact you can walk around drinking beer. Plenty of touristy places on the side that you can buy trinkets and you got a bump into the golden nugget and have a look at what’s going on there quite interesting. A must experience with anybody visiting Las Vegas.

A very cool spot.

By Nancy K |

Such a cool place. Just to walk around and take in the activities. A zip line goes over your head. Street performers. It was a cool spot to take a break from the Mob museum.

Definitely an evening venue

By spanishrose1952 |

Catch the Deuce Bus from the Strip (8 dollars for 24 hours) to the Fremont Street Experience and savor the lights and sounds of Downtown Las Vegas. Home to some of the original Vegas hotels with the pedestrian area home to live music, people dressed in amazing costumes. a zip line and an hourly light show. A must visit if you are in Vegas

Well...

By LucelyBC |

You have to visit it, many souvenir shops to buy! The amazing roof, a place to go alone or with family.

A LV Must!

By Zacatti |

If you’re in LV, the Fremont Street Experience is a must see. It’s has the old LV downtown vibe with plenty of entertainment, sights, and sounds. Great place to buy reasonably priced souvenirs, drinks, and food. We enjoyed the vintage marquees and casinos. It’s mostly an adult scene at night; though plenty of families strolled the area. I would personally visit with friends, it’s a little quiet once you leave the area - but that’s just me. You do what feels best for you.

WAW

By serena |

Great party atmosphere! The view is amazing, lots of Things to do, lots of alcohol, lots of convenience store and souvenir shops.
Internships with full music & lots of fun!!

Good outdoor Party Atmosphere

By Gary F |

We visited Freemont Street a couple of times while in Las Vegas. It made a change from The Strip and the atmosphere and entertainment on the street was good.
There are plenty of places to get drinks and enjoy the music and light show.
It is definitely different to The Strip but glad we went.

Fremont St, & South Point Casino - Las Vegas

By Dclem59 |

Fremont St - I think if you like to bar hop- this is definitely the place to be. A lot of drunk people- not my cup of tea The light show was cool and the overhead zip- lining was as well.
We saw the Fourmers at South Point Casino It was affordable and great entertainment! (We went twice)!

Must have if you are in Las Vegas

By Régis1972 |

It was while surfing the Internet and looking at places to visit in Las Vegas that I came across Fremont. And finally I didn’t regret this little hook somewhat distant from the hyper-known strip but easily reachable in about thirty minutes by public transport (you can buy the ticket directly on the bus or via the Internet on a dedicated application). Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, therefore outside the Strip, Fremont Street is a pedestrian street whose peculiarity is that it lights up at night, projecting on a ceiling of 416 meters in length, a sound and lights show.
Many people will see this show which is in a kind of street completely closed by a roof with incredible projections. A zip line is even inside. Concerts, shops, music, colors and the madness of Las Vegas in one street. A beautiful experience not to be missed.

This show takes place every hour, allowing visitors to enjoy the evening to visit the oldest casinos in the city and eat.

Great time

By lesley |

We had a great time! We stumbled in to a free Sublime concert, which was awesome. It has a very “bourbon street” vibe. We enjoyed it more than the strip.

Pretty Gross Experience

By Bonnie G |

OMG...First of all, I can't believe people bring their kids there. So many half naked women dancing on the street and on bar tops. The live music up and down the street was loud and the genres ran into each other. We did this about 20 years ago and loved it. Each hour there was a beautiful light show tailored to a different genre of music. Very tastefully done...not like this crap!

No Thanks

By Deb |

We went with friends after a spectacular dinner at Oscar's steakhouse in the Plaza. I absolutely hate the smell of weed, and the haze of smoke is so heavy you could see it in car headlights like a fog machine. Lots of druggies. Music at the stages was really good, but the stench was so bad it wasn't a good time. Street performers were a mix of talented and disgusting. Saw people with babies and small children, and this is NOT the place for either. Picture Bourbon Street but instead of drunks, everyone is on drugs. Maybe I'm getting old, but not going back due to the tweakers. Tried to escape the smell of weed by going into the Golden Nugget casino, but its low ceiling rooms were packed with people and cigarette smoke. We left right after that. This isn't Old Vegas, it's stoned Vegas. No thanks.

Fremont Street

By richbonilla |

cool old vegas experience- loads different than the new side of the strip...this is OG Vegas, lights, covered lit canopy..very cool - worth a walk, easy parking

Full view

By lau_voyage |

I liked the lights and the excessive side of the place as well as its very varied fauna. However, I liked the excessively noisy side less... Perhaps because there were a lot of concerts that evening.

Amazing

By left c |

If you want to go out and have a good time, it's a great time. You may see the Fremont Street Experience right now. A great experience

PG-13 Fun!

By Sharyn O |

Three bands performed as we walked under the neon lights and sights of Old Vegas. It was spectacular fun! Parents, you might want to leave the little littles at home.
Warning: It’s illegal for women dressed like showgirls to charge $50 after asking if you’d like a picture with them (a friend who lives in Vegas shared this).

Wow. Not what I expected.

By Alison H |

Um, yeah, I think this is a place for young people. Yes, that makes me sound old (so be it). However, I can appreciate what the Experience is trying to do. Bright lights and colors, and deafening sound is certainly a draw for many people and I can see they enjoy it. Just not our thing. Some interesting street performers, though.

Don't miss the Fremont St Experience

By brigitte585 |

Forget the Strip...really!! This is the funnest place to be in Vegas! I had a blast there, watching the light show with fab music..bars up and down the st. It was incredible. Then a live band starts playing and the experience and the night just gets better. The Strip has nothing on the Fremont St Experience!

Fun people watching

By TammyCS444 |

As the night got later, it got sketchier. But I expected that. The showgirls were very pushy, but once you said no and kept walking they left you alone. We did the Superman zip line, and that was incredible! The ceiling was awesome!

Fremont St Experience is that and more

By James C |

The first time we went to Fremont St in the 1980's, there was no canopy. The casinos had the loosest slots and tables around. New Years Eve consisted of watching fireworks over The Plaza hotel, going back into the casino and whatever. Fast forward forty years. Now visitors have a beautiful canopy experience to enjoy, ziplining along Fremont St from Main St to Las Vegas Blvd (Yes, at the age of 72 I ziplined). Yes, the casinos are still there but now you have a great vibe of music, food and entertainment. Fremont St is so much more alive. Compared to The LV Blvd, everything is right here within a few blocks. It is more of a destination than 40 years ago.

original and extravagant

By Vale |

This attraction is located in Downtown Las Vegas, miles away from the famous Strip, where the city's first casinos stood. We were there on a Saturday night, this place is always full of life, there are numerous casino venues, live music, and extravagant people of all kinds, but the thing that struck me most was the screen ceiling , which projects spectacular images.

Beautiful but ordinary kkk

By PEDRA MALANSKI |

I found the experience a bit spicy, I don't think I'd come back. She is very voted to sex and drink, with family and small children is not worth it. Depends on what you want.

Fun & less hassling

By MS11M22S |

We were here early evening on a Saturday & were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. It was buzzing with some great live music and lots of happy tourists just enjoying themselves.
There were of course the usual street entertainers but they weren’t too in your face & didn’t pester you if you said no. Not sure if the signs up help, telling people that the you do not have to pay the street entertainers. Definitely felt much better than last time we were here a few years ago.

Old Vegas but with todays society worse

By Wendy C |

Glad we saw it, tied it in with mob museum which is couple mins walk.

Fremont street very nostalgic and lights are great, assume would be crazy at night. However very seedy full of weirdos and constantly hustled. Lots of police presence which was reassuring, thus said one guy stood swaying in the road, and at the other end 5 police car incident with ambulance… basically the buildings and signs old Vegas but mixed with all of societies worse

Celebration

By SILVERIO LEMOS |

Anyone going to Las Vegas cannot miss visiting Freemont Street. I think it's a very iconic place and represents traditional Las Vegas well.

Fremont Street: Brighter, Safer, and More Electrifying Than Ever!

By Dwight |

Fremont Street Experience has leveled up with a cleaner, safer, and even more thrilling atmosphere. The high-resolution LED canopy is absolutely mesmerizing, and the added police presence keeps things under control while still allowing for that signature Vegas energy.

For adrenaline junkies, SlotZilla offers a thrilling zipline experience that shoots you down the street on a cable over everyone's heads.

Street performers now have designated spots, making the experience more organized but just as entertaining—though beware, you might find yourself unexpectedly joining a breakdancing act like I did!

As a local, I love strolling through, people-watching, and soaking in the vibrant energy. Whether you're visiting for the first time or the tenth, Fremont Street never disappoints!

Couples visit

By Brian B |

We had to check out Freemont Street as it has been many years since we last visited. Granted, it was a little chilly, but the sun was shining! Typical characters on the street and music was playing. We were surprised to see the LIVE music lineup. Imagine Dragoon, etc. There was plenty of security, and overall, everything was clean. We did not stay until dark, but we told each other that would really be a great experience. Will be back.

a light show of the extra class

By Heiko B |

Completed in 1996, this downtown Las Vegas attraction should definitely be on the list of activities!
Originally designed as a sunshade, the dome with integrated air conditioners ultimately became a giant LED dome, on which various light shows are shown to the audience every 1 hour, each of which is worth the 6-7 minutes - a real visitor magnet!

You need to know!

By Maria Antonia |

Fremont Street is a very tourist street and worth seeing.
At the end of the year it was quite full, I can't tell if it's always the same.
The place has casinos, shops, bars, restaurants and some DJs animating the environment.
It is important to be careful with walkers and take good care of your belongings.
Worth the experience.

More affordable than the strip

By Bryan W |

Great atmosphere and live music. If you dare, try the zip line. This place is more affordable than the strip itself in term of food and drinks.

Entertaining

By SUE M |

Well, it’s always busy and hopping downtown on Fremont street.
Lots to see and do. However, the smell of pot everywhere is disgusting 🤢.
It is bad downtown. The hustlers aka street performers are pretty entertaining, the live shows and DJs are always good. The canopy shows are very cool. We love the history, Golden Gate 10 original rooms, the Binion million dollars, the golden nugget piece of gold , the el Cortez history, Main Street station antiques and history are unbelievable. Such as the map to all the historical objects they have on display, Oscar’s fine dining at the Plaza, the Mob museum, the D’s historical horse races, etc etc. Further away is the Neon museum which is awesome. You can catch a free shuttle to the outlet stores. Pizza Rock pizza, Nacho Daddy’s, CJ’s, Tony Romas, lots of fine dining, etc etc.

Go visit anywhere else

By Sally J |

The stores were okay but so many people were tweaking out on things it felt very unsafe. The stores felt very awkward it was not a family friendly area.

Freemont is not as Safe as it used to be.

By Travel25346533585 |

The light show and music are very good. There are many rough characters that made us feel unsafe and detracted from our enjoyment. They need more security and to clean up the agressive beggars.

To see only in the evening

By Trivius |

I was there all those years ago.
The statement of the title, refers to the fact that Freemont street is known, above all, for its lights.
Clearly, the evening is the best time, to see lights, which, even, in the evening, need sunglasses

For vintage rating

By Rac37 |

We preferred this atmosphere more than the strip. Concert, neon lights galore we find the spirit of Vegas' early days. Accessible by bus easily.

Skip it

By gilchrist48047 |

Some bands were good, others were definitely not playing the instruments. The dreads of society were there looking for hand outs and were disgusting. Nasty creatures there smoking weed and living out there meth fantasies. Gangs of kids roaming around looking for trouble. Witnessed a couple of bum fights. Not a lot of security or police presence on weeknights

Fremont Street

By Footprints105681 |

So, my wife and I stayed on Fremont Street (Golden Nugget) for 4 days for our wedding anniversary. There was good and bad with the entire trip. First, the good. The Golden Nugget was very nice, no issues, clean and an amazing pool. Second, the bad (or not so good). We had no issues with Fremont Street during the day, but as the night grows on it becomes more and more crowded with drunks and druggies. After 10pm or so, we both felt like it was a little out of control. Sort of like Mardi Gras on steroids. I think the biggest things we saw was the amount of drugged out people. There was plenty of Security and Police, but basically anything goes and they are just there to respond to anything, not deter anything (no slam on them, they are doing the best they can in a nightly &%^$ show environment). Maybe we are too old for this scene, or our tolerance level isn't as high as it used to be, but it seems a little out of control. But I guess that's what Vegas is all about nowadays.

First Friday is a must go to

By K Flowers |

Absolutely amazing and fun. We visited first Friday which was the day after 4th of July. We saw many shows and it was no violence or anything the entire 4 hours we were there.

Worth seeing

By ERFSU82 |

It’s a very different vibe than the strip, but worth seeing. The lighting effects on the ceiling are impressive, even during the day. The area looks a little more run down and is less fancy than the resorts along the strip, but we found it to be an entertaining place to walk around for an hour. There is plenty of parking nearby, but scope things out before parking. Some parking garages charge a flat rate of $25 and up, but we found a lot on Stewart Street for about $4 for an hour.

The must in Las Vegas

By Bezoeker |

You must visit Fremont Street otherwise you have not been to Las Vegas.
It is quite an experience, even people float past you above your head.
So just DO hours of entertainment.
Unfortunately I am unable to post a photo and short video, but I can send it to an email address.

What’s not to like

What a fantastic experience From live bands Street performers Great bars and restraunts and of course slots A very lively experience the dome covering is spectacular Best to visit at night Zip line was cool It’s a definite if visiting vegas

Dazzling, so don’t drop it

By AMohsen |

It was relatively far away from most of the strip and discovered that it is one of the most dazzling places in Las Vegas, and the shows and the people are quite cheerful. Hence, never drop it. There is also a zip line activity there.

Fremont trip

By ammodog |

I stayed at the Fremont Las Vegas from 1-4 April, 2025. Return visitor from 2024. You can't beat the location for the downtown area. Rooms are a bit small but very clean and are perfect if you don't plan on spending a lot of time there. Plenty of food/entertainment options at the hotel and neighboring hotels. Handicap friendly as you can navigate freely from one location to another.Boyds gaming has several properties in the downtown area so you can definatly build up your rewards points. They offer free valet parking for hotel guests so there's no need to travel back and fourth from the parking garage. Reception, service and security staff were all top notch. I'm already looking forward to next year's trip back there.

Fremont Street

By Marlene J |

We did the bar tour at Fremont street. It was great fun! We met with friends. Toured a few bars, got a poker hand and one free drink per stop! Gambled a bit and enjoyed the free shows on Fremont Street

Fun free entertainment

By Voyage08247790781 |

This is an awesome place to check out if you’re looking to not break the bank. Live free entertainment, great people watch and talented performers. There were two bands playing that were amazing, love the music. Great casinos and shops. Highly recommend experiencing Fremont when visiting Vegas

You can not miss Fremont Street....

By Walther von der Vogelweide |

Las Vegas is a unique city and you absolutely must do the Fremont Street Experience. Crowded street where you can find characters of all kinds and where music, sounds but above all colorful lights are the masters. To understand what it is ... you have to come 😉.

Go do see!

By Danielle G |

Very cool to see. Lots of activity since we went on saint pattys day! The digital screens were themed. Lots of great bands plying and still family friendly during the day

Worth the trip if you have time.

By Sasha M |

It’s worth a look … if you are staying in the newer end of Vegas, then it’s easy to get here by bus … Duce buses cost $8 for a day pass … easy to hop on & off at the many stops. Fremont street is like the Gold Coast Queensland (Australia) … gaudy and old fashioned glitz … lots of show girls and chippendale like men asking for photos. If you like drinking there are loads of bars along the street. It is a little tired, but worth a look. Some good eating to be had own the end where you get onto the zip line. You can even weigh yourself at the Heart Attack cafe” … there’s lots of fried food. We ate at a restaurant opposite - Mickey Fins - and people watched … the two for one burgers joint … I recommend the hang over burger … delicious and plentiful… you won’t need to eat for the rest of the day … service was friendly.

Great experience!

By Craig M |

We spent a night here during our holiday in Las Vegas. Really good atmosphere, and an overall fun place to be. Lots of choices for food and drink, and loads going on in the street. The zip line looked good, but we never got around to trying it. Would recommend for a fun night.

Go to Fremont In the Evening

By PickyInSeattle |

Fun place full of sights and sounds! It is ver loud and be warned, not family friendly. I loved watching the zip liners above the crowd and the live music.

Well animated

By Nicolas |

The place is very lively: Live music, casinos, restaurants and shops.
It's worth seeing this side of Las Vegas.
The screen on the ceiling is a separate show.

The Fremont experience is full of interesting sites!

By Grace i |

This was very fun. This is the heart of old Las Vegas and you will see a lot of fun things here. If you are coming from the strip you could fake the bus called then drive in and out or the monorail to the Sahara, get on a bus or taxi (or uber) to the Fremont street experience. I would suggest going in the evening or when it’s dark to get the full effect. We went on Sunday morning and saw some things (it was not very busy which did make us happy) but we did not see the lights in all their glory. I do wish we’d taken the bus back to the strip the Uber was much more expensive going from the experience to the Sahara than it was the other way around. Lots of interesting sites and the drinks were not as ridiculous as the strip.

I bet the weekend is Crazy!

By Storm D |

Visited on a Thursday evening. Started with Zipzilla (Superman style)- 2 of the gals got stuck 50 yards from the finish BEWARE! Ate pizza at Evel Knievel pizza. It was good. Tossed in $40 at Circa, walked out with $190

Lots of crazy and fun

By Clara Duarte |

Many crazy people, many aberrant people, but the experience is fun, despite that I wholeheartedly recommend going once in your life.

FREEMONT STREET

By Steven G |

Great place for people watching and live music. Also seeing street performers, great bars, and lounges to go to. A must to check out

Sickening ..don't bother ..stay on strip

By Neil-from-Dallas |

Nightmare! Don't go. We had not been downtown since years and it will now be decades till we ever go back!
Imagine a street of nefarious vagrants, odd balls, stinky bums, and others constantly harrasing you! Now throw in a filthy street and weed smoke everywhere, and you have the mess you will find here.
Went into a few casinos here also, and believe me, it doesn't get better! Worse! Stupid bettimg rules, filthy and tattered facilities, and bums and vagrants abound.
Stay like we always do on the strip and let this sewere rot away like it should.

Great experience

By C M |

Going on Halloween was awesome. Live bands. Everyone seemed to be having a fun time and I loved all the different costumes.

Fremont experience is crazy

By Tina S |

Expect anything. No holds barred.
Enjoyed a holiday afternoon people watching.
Graphics and music are phenomenal.
Park in garage

Good fun

By K&M rates plates |

Visited here a few times on a recent trip to vegas. The street itself is cool and the led roof is awesome and really makes it unique. I wouldn’t say I felt 100% safe there as there’s lots of crazy people about who look like they are up to no good. The street performers seemed like good fun and we had a laugh with them. We only really went in the casinos there and I wasn’t impressed, the ones on the strip were a lot better.

Be sure to go!!!

By Ninikabini |

Must-sees when in Las Vegas! We thought it was crazy, a lot of good bands, ZIP Line and of course a lot of different crazy people. You can just drift and watch!

Old time Vegas

By Michel C |

A gritty somewhat sleazy version the the Las Vegas strips. Cheap souvenir stores, freaky busters or panhandlers give it charm. Overhead light effects was neat. Worth a trip as it is close to Pawn Stars Pawn shop.

A FUN place to visit but a few things to BEWARE of.

By SBVegasAdventures |

Fremont St is a FUN place to visit. There is so much to see and do and I would love to give it a full five stars. HOWEVER, the reason I am not able to is the people. While there are lots of police and heavily armed security, expect to see lots of homeless people in various states of inebriation. The don't aggressively panhandle, the police and security help there but it's not uncommon to see them passed out next to a building. The nauseating stench of Marijuana is everywhere so this is not a place for families. While it's illegal to smoke it in public and there are signs reminding people of this, it's sold everywhere and law enforcement has no time to enforce the law. Also, this can be a very different place at night so if you do go, have your wits about you and go during the daytime.

Worth A Look, But Not For Kids

By Patty B |

It's hard to describe this place. I'm glad experience is in the name because it sure was that!!!!! We were told it was safer to go during the day, so walked over from the Mob Museum.

Lots of questionable folks milling about, girls hardly dressed with their backsides exposed, homeless people and tourist just like us. We walked around and left.
I did like seeing the zipline, those people seemed to be having fun. We felt safe and no one bothered us, which I was happy about. We didn't go in any of the bars etc.
outside was enough for us.

Back in the 1970's I went here when it was an open street. Steak & Eggs was 76 cents at the Plaza Hotel which is still there. The hotel, not the steak and eggs!! They are probably $25.76 by now.

It is worth seeing, but not for children. I cannot speak to what it is like in the evening, other reviewers have. I'm sure the lights look fabulous, crowd probably not so much. I was happy to see someone mentioned an ample amount of law enforcement on scene at night. We got an uber just down from the Plaza. I would not walk much further than that.

Love it or not it's worth a visit, just pick your time of day, I wouldn't stay there, just walk on by for a view!

By craigshare2 |

Ok I'll put this into context, I'm British and I love going to Vegas!
Freemont street is like Marmite you either love or hate it, yes it is old Vegas and when you take that perspective it's great, BUT, there are some characters knocking about, I saw a bloke wearing nothing but an adult nappy, lots of homeless sitting around, lots of veterans making stuff that looked quite good actually. The lights at night are good but it's a bit of a hike to the main strip, got stung by a taxi driver for a trip from Freemont back to the Cosmo, he told us the strip was backed up and the quickest route was down the freeway, that cost me $80 for a 4mile trip!

Awesome Time!

By Kimberly W |

This was such a fun and unique place to visit. My husband and I went with another couple and we loved the casinos and entertainment just walking around for the night. Will definitely visit again!

Has an undercurrent of seediness. I enjoyed it but I didn't find it very pleasant.

By Ginges_revenge |

I was looking forward to going to see Freemont street when we visited Vegas. We couldn't make it down to the street at night as we had other things planned.
We caught the deuce bus from the middle of the strip down to Freemont St.
Its about a 40 minute bus ride from Bellagio down to the strip. Driving or a taxi would be quicker but its still a long way out from the middle of the newer strip area.
The street seemed to have an undercurrent of seediness. It didn't have a pleasant feel to visit.
The light show under the awning in the daytime was still good, would have been better at night, but still pretty good to see.
There was a lot of buskers and street hawkers on the street. It was overly loud walking down the street with everyone vying for viewers. It seemed a little grubby. Its definitely the older end of the strip.
We had a look in some of the older casinos off the street. They were just casinos. Nothing like the glitz and glam of the main strip area.
I was happy to go and see and enjoyed it
Now we've seen it, we've seen it and I wont be going back to see it again.

When in vegas

By Gary B |

Nighttime this place just rocks 😁😁
Great side performances and the roof,
Just keeps you looking up,
Plenty of places to eat and drink.

A must

By Antonie |

Hier begon het in 1905. This is where you should go when you visit Las Vegas. This state is enough nostalgia and familiar places as you see on the TV. Feast of recognition. Golden nugget, four Queens etc. It's all there. The projected ceiling has been talk of the town for years.
Minus are the many confused and sometimes people who walk around drink

Very entertaining but be alert

By Nicole P |

Very entertaining - be prepared to ignore or say no because there are all kinds of street entertainers trying to get you to hand over money. Some are talented and it's deserved. Very cool place to visit for an hour or two. Ziplines overhead, street entertainers, live music, souvenir stores and more. Very old area of Vegas.

An Experience for sure!

By Debra E |

Super fun! Very entertaining and loud. Incredible set up with videos on the ceiling and live entertainment on the ground. Could be overwhelming and potentially inappropriate for kids.

Worth a visit

By Maz S |

We visited Fremont street while in vegas. We caught the deuce bus took about 45 minutes from NY NY the lights were out of this world. So stunning, however i found it a bit tacky with the girls wearing barely nothing enticing men to take pictures with them, for a cost obviously. We went into one of the hotels & it stunk of smoke & urine. We watched some of the acts. But they wouldn't start unless they had enough tips. Which is understandable I suppose. Some of the acts were good but some were cheesy. We didn't stay long wasn't really our scene. But still worth a visit.

By Phoenix |

One and done. Way too hot- so many sketchy people. We did SlotZilla- employees hooking you up were unfriendly and rude..

It’s FREMONT Street not Burbon Street!!

By James R |

At approximately 7 long blocks in downtown Vegas lies a street completely covered from the elements by a canopy which is also a screen of visual pleasure of color, lights, waves of water with music playing from speakers everywhere. lining the sides of the street are casinos, restaurants, gift shops, liquor stores and many other businesses. there are 3 stages spaced out along the strip each with live bands playing various music. Street performers show off their talents in hopes of tips and audience praises. There are scantily clad ladies & hunky men who would love to be photographed with you (for a fee) and mobs of people wandering around having a great time just enjoying everything going on. Walking around with cocktails in the street is permitted and encouraged also bringing your own is allowed. If going to vegas I highly recommend putting this outing on your list to do!!

Amazing place but Stinks!

By jenny c |

Visited today & although place really is amazing & vibrant i couldn't wait to leave after about half hour! It absolutely stinks of skunk, cigarettes & cigars, to the point of feeling sick. Going inside the casinos was no better. Also if you not like huge crowds of people dont go on a weekend! It was the stench that ruined it for us

Overrated and unclean

By Mark E |

I thought this was a waste of time and money and will never go back there again. Lots of homeless and other people tripping out on drugs…smell was bad, some free music and entertainment that was mediocre ..:lots of barely dressed people and showgirls who prob shouldn’t be showing anything..felt if I win at Golden Nugget would get robbed and it smelled and the whole thing felt dirty

Trashy, but on the list

By Sonny_circumvehor |

Leave the kids.. and prepare for a bit of the trashy side of vegas, but it is a must do when in town.. absolutely ADULTS ONLY, weed all over as well..

Cheap and cheerful

By Travelling Pixie |

Stopped here while traveling on the Deuce Bus. This area clearly is the cheap and cheerful, old Vegas, where you can party and drink in the street all day and night.
We visited during the day, but the music was already going and the outdoor street bars active. Ideal for young party animals!
A handful of cheap souvenir shops are mixed in here with the hotels and casinos.

Beware of scammers!

By Tammy A |

My husband, 11 year old daughter and I went to Fremont Street to walk around during the day since we had show tickets for the evenings. We got there around 11 am on a Monday and within a few minutes were approached by two, scantily clad, fully feathered, “showgirls “ who 1, took my husband off to chat, and the other cornered me and my daughter, trying to “befriend” us. Shortly after, they wanted to take selfies, grabbing our phones. After that they split us up again and the one with my husband told him I was ok with him paying them for the photos - typically they get $80-100 plus tip PER MODEL. Obviously i never said that and found out because the one had taken his wallet and was ready to run his credit card on a little machine she was carrying. All in front of our daughter. We purposely went during the day to avoid this type of thing. Some have no respect for families - some did smile and veer away. But they don’t discriminate who they target - families, older couples, etc. And there’s no being nice - saying no thank you doesn’t cut it.

Worth Seeing However!

By sashakeena |

Been to Fremont Street before so it’s not that important to go for any length of time! Interesting to see however don’t care for all of the street vendors. Recommend anyone with kids go during the daytime hours!

Old Vegas hasn't lost its charm

By Udo K |

This is the 8th time we've been here. For those coming to LV, Freemont Street is a must. Our 11-year-old couldn't help but wonder. Sure, the covered street is totally crowded , but the cinema in the rooftop dome and the ZIP Line and all the illuminated casinos are already overwhelming. Parking costs 4$ per hour and eating out is available on every corner.
It’s a great experience here👍

Not worth it

By Kiana Q |

As a Vegas local, don't come here unless you have to or you're just going to one of the hotel/casinos that's connected. It's crowded, everything is overpriced, and it's pretty filthy. The screen ceiling thing is cool, but I don't think it's worth.

Fabulous Fremont the problem with Fremont is that you can't talk about it you have to live it it's totally crazy

By Elvis .l |

I've been to LAS VEGAS twice now 🎉, and frankly Fremont avenue is the place not to be missed. We can't imagine until we've been to Freeman it's crazy between shows. Right on the street made by talented artists and the bars with music and concerts the zip line that crosses the entire street, everything is extraordinary.

Freemont Street

By WeRe Adventurous |

It was fun, but not crazy fun. There were bands playing on several stages, three, I think, and they were all good. We danced and Hubby bought us drinks in a little store, which I'm sure was more reasonable than the bars on the street. A giant High Noon was $7.00 and I think his beer was like $3.50 for a large can. It's a street party atmosphere with lots of people, so that's fun, and there are casinos we could just duck into to warm up a little bit or use the bathroom. There were lots of skimpily clothed girls wanting us to take pictures with them, a few muscley men, and some (not very good) street performers, but almost everyone was respectful and seemed grateful for any tips they made. I'm sure it's more fun an warmer nights, but we were happy to spend a couple hours there, play the slot machines a little bit and be home early.

Don t miss out on this experience!

By Tourist39278486337 |

This was an amazing experience that you don t want to miss.
Great live music , fun entertainment , just one big party.
In one word : Unforgettable!!

Don’t waste time on zip lining

By PAAbby |

It’s fun to do once, maybe. I didn’t think the light show was as impressive as years before and the zip line ride took one hour to wait for even with a reservation. It’s pointless to buy ahead of time. Plus one of the teens got stuck on it and had to be rescued, they say it happens all the time. Wouldn’t recommend this expensive ride at all.

Lots of fun and entertainment and restaurants

By Jaime C |

Lots of things to see and be entertained, food and and weed if you choose to participate, Well covered canopy to keep the heat off tourist

Night time visit for older kids...

By mamtravels |

I mean - you know what it's going to be when you go. My teenager was amazed by all the lights and junk. I wouldn't recommend at night for kids - but teens and adults can have an amazing time. The zip line is very cool.

Felt safe walking there

By Nadine B |

Great light show. Go at night to appreciate it fully. Lots of security, felt very safe. Lots of stores to get trinkets from. Lots of Dominatrixes and performers to take pictures with if you like. For a fee of course. They have to stand in a circle that was drawn onto the street, they are not allowed to accost you. Pizza is extremely expensive. $9 a slice...

Fun, Unique, entertaining

By Shannon11 |

We go every year for New Years and for our Anniversary in March near St Patricks Day, best time ever. Way better than the strip

Go on the weekend for live music

By TravelingBum10 |

Great spot to spend a couple of hours walking around and people watching. There’s several restaurants and gift shops. The light show is the large screen is great. They also do a summer series of concerts.

Magical place to do absolutely

By sandrine |

Atmosphere at the top
Concerts and incredible mapping
I recommend this magical place where prices are more affordable than on the strip

Loud and Crowded, but Exciting and Fun

By Jason Hennig |

I would love to give this a 5/5, but it was a little too overstimulating for my wife. This isn't particularly the fault of the experience, and for people who love loud, crowded spaces, this will be a feature, not a bug, but too much crowding isn't our favorite.
That being said, the shows are awesome, LED ceiling is entrancing, and the mall itself is exciting and fun. The fact that she enjoyed such a crowded space at all should be a good indicator of how cool this spot is!

Miss the old days but ok experience

By Kittie |

Fremont is lovely during the day but very congested in evening. Too many stages with competition from the bands. Love the affordable Vegas shopping & the hidden stores all over. I do miss the old days where Fremont was enjoyable in the evening & you could watch the viva vision show. Now dare you stand to watch you get trampled.

A Neon-Fueled Spectacle

By Jon |

If you’re looking for a wild, over-the-top Vegas experience, Fremont Street delivers in full force. The massive LED canopy, stretching five blocks, explodes with dazzling light shows, while live bands, street performers, and costumed characters keep the energy high. The classic casinos, like Binion’s and the Golden Nugget, offer an old-school Vegas vibe with lower table limits than the Strip. It’s loud, bright, and unapologetically brash—but that’s exactly why it’s a must-see. Whether you’re ziplining overhead or just soaking in the chaos, Fremont Street is pure, electrifying fun.

Awesome experience!

By Linda S |

Freemont Street was amazing! I did the Slotzilla zipline, and that was 👍🏼 all the stores and attractions were great too!!

YIKES!!!!

By babycakes1 |

If you want to see weirdos, then this is the place to go. Homeless people, what a shame. Reaks of marijuanna. I wouldn’t go down here at night

Worth a Try

By Carmen L |

The first time we went in October of 2023 felt a lot different than The second time we went in October of 2024. It looked more empty this time around and there were a lot more sketchy people walking around. It could be because we went during the week instead of on a weekend but the vibe felt off. All of the entertainers are cool to see and the slotzilla attraction is cool to do but those are really the only attractions. They don't change so you wouldn't need to spend multiple days on Fremont. If you want to party with friends, it's worth trying it once.

Fremont Street is a must see in Vegas.

By Wayne B |

Fremont Street never disappoints. Yes it gets a bit crowded and a little loud but you never know what to expect to see. I always look forward to the sights on Fremont Street and the overhead light show continues to be amazing.

Not for the faint hearted

By Kristina S |

This is an experience for sure. Great to see the roof lights etc. Nice wee look into the hotels too. But not for the faint hearted or children. Boobs and bums everywhere. Weed smell everywhere. Homeless people here and there too ( although they don't bother anyone, it's sad to see). And no seats at all unless you manage to get into a bar area. Even then it's 2 drinks min.
Buy a cup and get your drinks in ABC. Stores.
Water only 99c in souvenir shops.

Excellent display

By Kevin S |

Astounding display on the 450 metre video screen roof covering Freemont Street. The normal lights running for 50 minutes are good but when the hourly show starts on the hour, three different ones the night we were there it was fantastic. The colours the sound system the buzz of thousands of people, street performers, drink stands, and the tourist tat shops, a wonderful atmosphere and experience.

Vegas is not a place to take your kids

By MsK |

Ok, so the Fremont experience is a bit overwhelming, and I get where some refer to it as "seedy" and state that they would not take their children there. That being said, this is not Disneyland! I have never understood, why people drag their children to "Sin City." I mean seriously, it is LOUD, there is nudity, drinking, smoking, and all kinds of behaviors which I hope most folks would not want their children exposed to. Please make better choices for a "family vacation," as Vegas is not that place!!

The delirium of Las Vegas

By 02leeloo |

Places not to be missed.
If you haven’t seen Fremont Street, you haven’t seen Las Vegas.
Place very well rehabilitated with its roof to the thousand leds.
The old casinos of 1970s TV shows and the bars with the twinks dancing to them.

Old Vegas at its Best

By Resort45727773577 |

Freemont is the equivalent of what the Old Vegas strip used to be by all reports. It is sooooo much shorter than walking the entire strip and you get to see a lot of interesting people there. It is not for the feint at heart however, as it is CROWDED! The ceiling is crazy cool, plenty of places to eat, and all of the entertainment one would expect in Nevada. We happened to go on the weekend where there were a ton of free concerts from what I assume were big name bands as the waitress at Hard Rock implied. Do yourself a favor and walk a little down the street and visit the shipping crate village they have, really artsy, really cool.

Freemont Street

By Lamatthews |

We were a party of 6, we flew into Vegas, rented a car, we did not stay on Freemont Street we stayed on the strip but we enjoyed visiting, we went early so air wasn’t busy, I would say the evening would be a good time to go. I’m sure it is beautiful at night.

Best place to people watch.

By Terri E |

Best place to people watch! Lots of craziness, unique entertaiment and all free! Not a place for children due to lack of clothing by many and extreme noise.

Always a great time!

By Dream67048966681 |

Fremont is always a great time; especially if you’re with “first timers”.

Our hotel on this visit is on the strip (supposedly a boutique hotel, which is a far stretch) and their “premium” vodka is Absolut.

At The D on Fremont, Tito’s is their well vodka.

Drinks are cheaper and better on Fremont than they are on the strip.

The street entertainers always put on a great show.

Dreadfully noisy. Smelly, too.

By Jim W |

Live "music" was awful but loud, competing against each other and making it impossible to talk. The stink of cheap weed was also impossible to ignore. The hourly light show was uninspired & droll compared to previous visits. not repeat.

A time of your life

By smithsandra1 |

A lot to see lot of restaurants and food you will have a time, but you need to have on some good pair of walking shoes good restaurants but no public restrooms

Fremont is the Place to be

By Shannon |

My husband and I go every year in March for our anniversary. this year my daughter came with since her birthday is around the same time. We made a fun trip out of it. I highly recommend Fremont street. You have live concerts every night for free, fun entertainment, cool shops and Slotzilla. There are so many fun things to do at little to no cost on and around Fremont Street. we only go to the strip one of the days because there is so much more to do.

Vegas party

By Sherpa05012238904 |

It was very remarkable experience. It is really amazing the way it all goes together. The different acts goin on and the dj was all infatuating

Must visit once

By yasemin2k |

Wow, it was so amazing walking up and down on the street. Watching the sky, listening to live music and just hanging out. It was a blast, must visit at least once

The real Vegas

By Pascool |

The Fremont neighborhood is the original Las Vegas more authentic with really the population of Vegas it is less sanitized than on the strip and the creation of this street covered with led is really extraordinary with a great atmosphere of the bars of the shops weirder than each other. We didn't come back too late because the atmosphere quickly and childhood to rise. I recommend this visit.

Downtown Las Vegas

By Stanley H |

Great experience

By Betty |

We had a great nice exploring the casinos and shops. The LED canopy screen gives the street a lively and fun character. There is music playing, and street performers throughout the mall. There was one bad experience with a guy trying to hand us a flyer. We ignored him like we should and he used the F-word on us - totally unacceptable behavior. Definitely worth visiting and taking in the fun atmosphere.

Interesting 🧐

By Kez |

Probably should have spent a little more time. Didn’t really know how safe I would feel. Would explore further next time or even find a bar above and people watch. Did the touristy things and enjoyed. Love the buskers yes avoid eye contact if you don’t want to lay extra. Enjoyed it, look forward to visiting again.

Visited here winter 2023.

By Jurora |

This street just fills the senses! Compared to when I was here 30 years ago, it has become a busy, crazy place. My hubby and I walked along, amoungst the very crowded street, where we saw many groups of people watching performers, heard certain street performers at a high volume with their mics, and smelled the mj, wafting through the air. Some street performers were way too loud for us. After walking to the end, hubby had had enough of all this, as it felt like too much commotion for him. He said he was busing back to to our hotel, and I could stay downtown if I wanted to, but I had seen enough and didn't want to be own my own/make my own way back at night, so we left together. This is where one would get their souvenirs, as the prices are cheaper than places on The Strip.

Get Free at Freemont

By mary ann N |

You have to go to Freemont street and visit all the casino's from back in the day -- I would NOT recommend however to bring children - somethings little kids do not need to see -- but the whole experience of freemont is fun and so much history

One of the top things to do in Vegas!

By runner24 |

We usually visit family in Vegas every year and always make in a point to visit Freemont street. A truly unique experience. Just to view the three block street dome with it's always changing light show is worth it alone. Be prepared for many street performers that are scattered about as some can be "R" rated. That includes the naked nuns or the nude singing cowboy. It's Vegas after all.
Enjoy!

Ruined by the smell of drugs

By Phil B |

This used to be a fantastic place to go. Gave you an insight into the old vegas. Now it has been ruined with the very very very strong smell of skunk. They have reunited a gem. They even have shops selling the drugs that are ruining it

Worth seeing

By Xamot Tomax |

This is a must see while in Vegas. Fremont St is 5 blocks long, and is located in Old Vegas, near the Golden Nugget. There is everything here. Food, drinks, gambling, entertainment, music etc. We saw live bands and many street performers. Although we didn’t try it, we’d often see others zipling above us. Light show was spectacular. You could easily spend some time watching it just memorized.

Cheap

By Dee22321205 |

Cheap places for souvenirs don’t take photo with the girls rip off they want $60 free parking at casinos it really one Main Street

Tourist destination but only ok

By p y |

I've been to Fremont Street twice, once over 10 years ago and again this May. There is almost always live entertainment, from a DJ to cover bands. There is also a zipline suspended overhead. The street is crowded with street performers, from dancers and musicians to strippers advertising their shows. The usual tourist shops line the street. It is very noisy and unfortunately, the street itself is pretty dirty. It's a lot like Times Square except with the addition of the zipline and elevated stage. It's good to go to say that you've been there but it wasn't the best part of my trip, either visit.

Must-see (photos). Bus "DEUCE" drops you off at the corner. 1 hour walk

By Fernando O. F |

4 blocks with large lights and lots of people. Must visit. Lots of pictures, it's a little off the strip. Tours are not worth hiring. If you’re staying on the Strip, take out a pass for the DEUCE 2-story bus that happens every so often and leaves you in the corner. It's safe, if you don't stay away from the noise.

Nothing so spectacular

By fidelo312 |

We went day and night, by day you can go as a family to eat and tour the place, at night I would say it is only for adults, it is difficult to walk by so many people happening to you things, it is not as spectacular as the strip but it serves to know a little of the history of the city

The real Las Vegas

By Gloryy |

The real and authentic Las Vegas!!
The screen roof is truly spectacular!
There is live music and shows along the central street and people of all kinds...

Worth the trip

By Roger T |

A mind blowing experience, we just enjoyed the atmosphere and all that was going on.
For me it was wonderful to see how Fremont had changed since my last visit in 1979

Terrible!

By GrandTour43692744191 |

It was awful! One big drugs, alcohol, vulgar gang! The pictures on the internet are cool, but the reality is different!:((

Good Information Overload

By Kris V |

Overwhelming to the senses in a great way. While there were small children there, I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart. Lots of good loud live music and sights you'd expect in Vegas.

Brilliant night out!

By TomC0310 |

Freemont is a fantastic experience. The live bands are awesome and the drink are pretty well priced considering how much alcohol you get!

Easy to get a taxi back to your hotel aswell at the end of the night.

A really good night out and a great experience.

Party at Freemont!

All right, old Las Vegas

By Fabrice L |

The old man in Vegas, we didn't do it two years ago. Really to do. there is parking right next door. It's free, since he was a certain old man who parked the cars and kept them. We gave him $15. He was very happy. 🙂

Fremont Street "EXPERIENCE"

By tennessee2913 |

Yes, it is a cool place to see as far as the ceiling, lights, casinos, and SOME people watching but that is about it. No, it is not a place for little ones and I personally do not understand why any parent would want to bring their kids there. Just watch a few videos on Fremont and multiply the loudness and obnoxious by 10 and you will be there. Glad I went, but doubt I ever go back. Once was enough for me.

Vegas experience but need to be cautious

By kath10 |

Came for the experience, once at noon as a couple, and once at night with a large group of friends. It was more of a tick of the box Vegas experience for me. I personally would rather visit other areas (The Strip) for partying and sightseeing - Fremont area made me feel unsafe. Even the local Uber driver told us to be really cautious. Nothing bad happened to us (thankfully) but I overall wouldn't recommend unless you come with a big group to enjoy the night out.

Felt unsafe and low class

By Simara |

I was planning on spending an evening on Fremont Street as I had a good time there 20 years ago. It has changed a lot since then, for the worse. There is an overwhelming amount of pot smokers everywhere, there were homeless people asking for money every few steps and there was even a person selling bodily fluids on the street 🤮. Everything felt dirty and unsafe. We walked through a sidewalk from the parking to the street and there was a huge puddle of blood. So it was scary and not fun at all would not recommend.

Amazing place

By Daphne D |

Better than last time we were there. Arrived at 9 pm. Fremont street was busy. We grabbed cold beers at the side store for a few dollars each and started our people watching😂 it is definitely an experience. We did stop and watch a few street acts very impressive. The bands are always great…keeping the vibe going. The video on the ceiling is impressive my favourite to watch. Not a great learning experience for kids… but there was a lot of young families getting their kids educated!
It’s a fantastic place to go while in Vegas. Highly recommend

Old Las Vegas at it's Best

By Travel25346533585 |

Long time ago Freemont Street had Cars driving on it. Now several blocks have been closed to traffic and are Pedestrian only Blocks. The Freemont Street Experience, is shown on a Canopy high above the Street. In Co-Ordination with all the Casinos and Businesses, they dim their lights for about 10 minutes each hour. Then on the Canopy vivid images played with lively music stream. A Las Vegas, Must Do

Never a dull moment

By Natalya P |

This place is so lively and you can expect to see almost every type of person here . From the guy in the thong to the chick with her tits out 😂😂😂... the food is good and the drinks are reasonably priced. Zip lining is better here than Rio Hotel if you are afraid of heights like me you’ll stick to Fremont . Always one of my stops when visiting Vegas.

Fremont a place to visit

By Viviana G |

I loved getting to know the beginnings of Vegas. Great two-block LED panels on the ceilings. Very good street performers.

Place that never sleep

By Lawrence A |

It was always been lively this place especially at night time.Free concert or live band each night aside from street performers or entertainers.lt was a nice experience.Lights above sync with the music which added the good party vibes.

Incroyable

By Vic & Débo |

The animation, the places, the decoration, the lights, everything is done to put full eyes. From 7pm , we are in an "adult" atmosphere
Unmissable place

Was pretty cool, pretty pricing and street performers every 2 feet. Everything is marked up significantly. Was cool to see once.

Dancing in the streets with an anything goes crowd.

By Tracie T |

Stayed on the strip, but wanted to check out the Fremont Street Experience. After arriving in a cab, I was immediately pulled into the pedestrian street by the fun loud music.

Wrong time of day.

By david h |

Dont want to put anyone off going but its a long way off the main strip and we went in the afternoon and was a waste of time, if your going go at night and maybe it will be worthwhile.

Vale la pena the Fremont experience

By Marcela D |

Super fun to visit this street!!!! Many cheaper places to eat, there are also casinos, the ceiling screen is crazy!!!!
Highly recommended!

Cool stop

By Jaymaxx |

Cool spot with lots going on. Light show is really cool and they have lots of stages for entertainment
Beware lots of lowlifes begging and acting weird.

You won't believe it unless you see it

By Joni P |

Want to see the crude, legendary bad behavior of old Las Vegas? This is the place to go! Drunk and stoned people dancing, music at full volume, a person in a gorilla suit dancing wildly, scantily clad women dressed as showgirls, etc. There's no pretense of glamour like on the Strip-- just the wretched behavior that people travel to Vegas for.
There's video projected on the huge ceilings and you can pay to take a zip line through it all.
A once in a lifetime experience

DON'T MISS IT!!

By richard c |

Amazing - and I didn't know it existed.
Live professional bands, light shows, street artists...............and beer on the street.
This is not to be missed.......and visitors should be made aware of this all-weather covered street .

The "Sin City" side?

By 19Eric57 |

Fremont Street is located in Downtown Las Vegas. It was the heart of the ancient city. It is best known for the Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian street covered with a giant LED vault. Every night, this vault comes alive with many sounds and lights and concerts that attract a crowd not always distinguished. It is in this neighborhood that you will find the first casinos of the city such as the Golden Nugget or the Four Queens. This is the place to party. It is very noisy and crowded. Note, in passing and raising your head, the zip line “SlotZilla” that allows you to fly over the crowd.

A Must See 👀 in old Las Vegas

By Chyp |

A must see spectacle. It is in old Las Vegas so a taxi 🚕 ride is needed if you are staying on the strip. We got there quite late on a Saturday evening and it was very busy so you have to be patient if you want to really appreciate the light show. There were a few bands playing on stages that were spread out along the walk. Lots of places to eat too.

Awful and scary

By Gunning2013 |

On arrival with my family it was at first exciting and colourful. Boy did that change🥺
Several steps in all you could smell was weed. Within a few minutes two druggies had a fight and knocked a guy clean out in front of us. Lots of homeless drug takers lying at the sides. Ridiculous prices for drink which you can buy in the shops but can’t drink outside in the street. It felt like a horrible dream with drunks everywhere ( how that happens I’ve no idea). It just felt uneasy like yoh could be pickpocketed any minute. Never again which was a shame because it was magical to look up and around it and the singers on stage were awesome.

Old Vegas is still rocking!

By Trip42241958985 |

Looking for an adult, fun night out? This is the place! Fremont has a little bit of everything. Live bands, live entertainers, food, gambling, zip lining... I have introduced many people to here and it never disappoints. I find it more enjoyable after 9pm.

More fun for us than staying on the strip.

By Jason D |

Fun place to stay and party in Las Vegas. Lots of street performers at all times of day and night. They will hustle you for tips. Beware of timeshare people trying to get you to attend a timeshare presentation. A lot of the stuff they offer you has no value. The presentation lasts 3-4 hours and they do not want to take no for an answer. They keep coming back with special offers. Pretty good food in the area. Nacho daddy was a good spot. Also the pink box donuts was good tasting and fun to try. 2 Live music stages just blocks apart. Whiskey licker bar is great and serves strong drinks and bartenders are fun. Alter ego is a great band that plays nightly around 10 or 11pm.

Great experience

By Jim W |

Always a fun place, great place to people watch and but souvenirs. Only downside is port smoke everywhere. Nice bars and shops.

Lots of sightseeing and people watching!

By Ty Fields |

Great experience, sometimes the bartenders will offer you a deal if you start up a conversation with them! Great people watching and always tons of sights.

Full eyes

By Martine G |

Woahhhh terrible this visit. Crazy atmosphere
Attractions by looking up 👀 A crazy Tironian... frankly an amazing place. Not to be missed. Several visits because it is so big that you can not see everything at once

Freemont Street Experience Experience

By 1stserve |

Visited Freemont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas in May 2024. One of the most exciting things about the Freemont Street Experience was undoubtedly the vibrant atmosphere and multitude of entertainment options that piqued my curiosity.  The amazing LED light show above the entire two blocks was dazzling.  The many music performances, street performers, and exciting shops and restaurants made for a fabulous time during our warm May evening.  There was always something new to discover, and the excitement of the crowds created an unforgettable experience.  I also experienced the 11-story zipline ride on the iconic SlotZilla.

Entertainment at every turn

By Michael |

Really cool. There's food, live shows, street performers, a sky glider, arcades and of course...casinos. Would recommend

Hard to describe!

By Tigini |

Iconic place in Vegas, you have to do this. So entertaining especially at night! Lots to do and see. I'll be back again in the future, maybe not when it's 42 degrees though!

Great place to go

By Gaia B |

Fremont street is so full of life, music, ligths....Great place to go and just enjoy walking, drinking, dancing....The local bus stops right there and you can go and feel safe.

Fremont Street is better than the Strip

By Dwight |

Think the Las Vegas Strip is wild? Fremont Street is its louder, weirder, older sibling—and it’s got stories.

Fremont Street Experience is entirely free to enter, and the fun never ends. Every day of the year you’ll find street performers, pop-up art, vintage neon signs, and classic Vegas vibes you won’t find on the Strip. At night, it transforms into a full-blown block party with live bands, variety acts, and zipliners soaring overhead.

It's always a good time to visit Fremont Street Experience. It’s chaotic, colorful, and undeniably entertaining.

Fremont St is a must visit

By dcampbell2964 |

Great, fun experience for entire family. Lots of shops, food and live entertainment. Night life and zip lining is awesome!

Party Atmosphere

By Sharon M |

Our main idea for this experience was Slotzilla zip line we pre booked before leaving the uk. We had an uber from our hotel and dropped off for an hour or so. We got caught for 2 x drinks at a cost of $45 so that put us off. The party atmosphere was pretty good but not a place for young children or toddlers and we saw quite a few. We done our zip line which was amazing and an experience to remember.

MUST GO EXPERIENCE

By kum28 |

This is the original Las Vegas till they shifted to the Strip. They improvised the place for a super experience on graphics. The place is abuzz with lights and music and will leave you in awe.
They have zip lines or just a walk sipping on cocktails and shopping on the street by lanes. Plents of food options and overall a must go place.
My spouse was kind of offended with skimpily clad women hovering above small kids but I guess the parents should have known better. The place is all Jazz and lights and worth spending 2-3 hours in.

Nice street with artists disguised as scammers

By Rudolph v |

Nice light show and lots to see to people who dress in the most creative way. Also nice that there is a band playing every 100 meters, and that there are so many street artists. And this is also the problem; there are scammers who give you 5 dollers and they refuse to do anything. So you throw another $10 at it and then... they don't do anything.
So don’t give those scammers money, they are smart enough not to indicate how much money they will play for.

I wouldn't miss it.

By Gemma C |

It's a super cool and different place, full of lights everywhere, artists doing their shows, with zip to throw you, lots of people, lots of music, the giant screen of the ceiling puts some very cool videos, we loved it

Best past of our LV trip

By Karthikeyan V |

Fantastic experience...glad I went there.
Better than the strip, lively environment, music, energetic crowd... the display was awesome and they play music in frequent intervals. Lot of food options around, must visit for an experience if not for casinos there

Wild

By MICHAEL M |

Music. Lights food casinos live entertainment. Food souvenirs. Light shows are mesmerizing. You need to see this part of las vegas.

Fun time!

By Jill |

You have to come to Freemont Street with an open mind. It's a bit wild and trashy, but you can have a great time if you embrace it. Pop into one of the casinos or crappy souvenir shops or watch live music at one of the stages. Definitely worth checking out and then if you walk to the end, you can find more "normal" bars and restaurants just across the street.

Downtown

By Lynda E |

Went one evening and spent about 3 hours there. Many of the casinos were dirty and smelly. The Fremont experience itself was good, live music and other entertainment. We were going to consider going to the Heart attack grill but on arrival (6.30pm) looked pretty empty and not much atmosphere. Ended up eating at Hennessy's Irish bar and had a good meal and drinks there. The zip wire looked good but only lasts for less than 1 minute. There was a private event on part of the street so was cordoned off and we were sent round by security but still uni able to get to the far end so just gave up.
We can say that we have been but not so sure that I would race back again.

Walk to badalar

By Luciana M |

Freemont is a place to go and stroll. Outside the cover which is a separate show. The casinos are more in charge to participate and from 18:00 there are many shows, you can choose what you want to enjoy. The bar tenders dancing on the bar countertops are an attraction apart. It's cool to walk around there but it's not as liberal as on the strip, you can't get into the shops and casinos drinking freely for example.
Another thing if you're staying on the strip is very unlikely to get to Freemont. The RTC bus, which stops from a casino in a casino on the Strip, can buy a $8 pass to ride all day freely but it's very boring because it has many stops.

Old Vegas with New Flair

By WJK1531 |

We escaped the madness that is the strip to take a step back in time to visit the Golden Nugget casino walk Fremont Street. Plenty going on and enough to keep those that want it entertained. It was no near as busy as the strip and so much easier to navigate without all of the F1 GP construction going on at the strip at the moment. Love that it was mostly covered overhead which was a welcome respite from the 100+ degree temps we experienced while there. Heat bounces of the concrete on the strip.

An amazing time in Fremont Street!

By GillK |

We spent the woman and I, a memorable evening in Fremont Street, Las Vegas! The atmosphere is simply electric, with bright lights, animations at every corner and a unique energy that is not found anywhere else.

One of the highlights of our visit was to discover the rock metal band Alter Igor. Their performance was incredible: an overflowing energy and undeniable talent that literally ignited the crowd. If you like rock, this is a band not to be missed!

And to top it off, we dared to try the zip line on the top floor. What a fantastic experience! Flying over Fremont Street with all those lights and excitement beneath us was absolutely unforgettable.

If you’re visiting Las Vegas, Fremont Street is a must, especially if you love live music and thrills. A perfect evening! To do absolutely! Pure madness!

Downtown Highlights

By royufu |

This is the centerpiece of downtown Las Vegas tourism.
Including the Strip, now the center of Las Vegas, it may be the best free and easy-to-enjoy attraction.
It has a bit of a vulgar atmosphere, but it is also a typical Las Vegas place that Japanese people imagine, and I think it is worth visiting at least once.
But there aren't many other things to see downtown.

A must see place

By Rarerem |

You can’t go to Las Vegas without visiting Fremont Street, especially as night begins to fall. The lights, sounds, people, vibe, it’s just fantastic.
It is though not a place for young children.

Not what I was expecting

By Pjb |

I've been here a number of times and have loved it and the awesome show on the ceiling with music. We were not expecting two extremely loud, dueling bands ( thank goodness for ear plugs!) it was so uncomfortable to be there. We took someone who had never been there before. Let's just say if you want to not damage your hearing, have some fun and conversation, don't come here. It's truly a shame what changes have been made in the most negative way possible.

Great Entertainment but people with children need to be wary of all the 95% nudity.

By donna f |

I loved the overhead screen canopy and all the lights and videos displayed on it. It was fun to walk around and watch all the live entertainment. I did NOT like a basically naked woman with feathers and a g-string running out to me to hug me. She had ridiculous high heels so I was able to duck down and escape her. They can stand around and solicit their bodies all they want but I don't want to be chased down and forced to participate and pay them.

Druggies area, bad area as soon as you step out under the canopy. Be careful and be vigilant of your surroundings.

By Regina M |

Not the best part of town. Be safe don't take bus, take Lyft or uber. If u want your photo with any of the performers expect to pay $50 or get yelled at. Negotiate the price BEFORE you get photo made.

Bring your money

By Tami S |

It was cool but beware of the sneaky people. if you want to take pictures with the scantily clad women, they can't charge you but do expect a tip. A BIG TIP. some of them ask for $100..EACH and there are always two ladies together. If you say "all I have is a $20, they will begrudgingly take it though. The slushy drinks at the outside bar on the northwest side are $65 for 2 of the smallest they offer. They are ENORMOSE. Pinkbox doughnut is at the west end and is amazing.

Girls last night out!!!

By Margaret W |

Definitely something to be seen and heard. We were there on a Thursday which was not too crazy and there is so much to see. The crowds were good and not too rowdy. All the lights and the music and the street acts make it so much fun. Every where you turn there is something to see. Years ago I did the seated Zipline , my daughter chose the higher reclining position and loved it. I was able to get a video of her flying thru the air.

Know what to expect

By rollirish |

Look, if you are OK with the smell of weed and with hustlers all around, it is probably worth visiting. My wife and I went and were pretty underwhelmed. Frankly, she found it depressing. I was good with it - but didn't really see any reason to stick around for more than about 30 minutes. It's dirty but cleaned up enough to allow you to feel safe.

Depressing

By pam |

The only good thing was the light show. The area has been taken over by the homeless and is very depressing. We won’t be staying downtown again. Dirty and smelly.

“Old” Vegas for the win!!

By TheresaO82 |

This is what Vegas is all about!! The casinos are fun, function on a working man middle class budget, and are entertaining! The crowd is much more friendly and interactive with one another. The canopy helps keep the area cooler and shaded during the day. We spent more time here in ‘old’ Vegas than we did on the strip!!
Also- buy a public transit ticket for the whole day at $8 per rider if staying on the strip for economical access! Took about 30 minutes on the bus but more affordable than a $25 taxi ride each way. (Disclaimer: we did not look up Uber or Lyft for their pricing).

Quintessential Vegas Fun on Fremont Street

By Kelsey K |

So much to see and do! Ziplining, street performers, bars, and plenty of vibrant sights make walking around a blast. We especially loved a fantastic 18-year-old magician who put on a memorable show.

Signage reminds you that tips for performers are optional, which makes the experience relaxed and fun. A great way to soak in classic Vegas vibes and enjoy a lively, energetic atmosphere.

Funny

By fealmeida_rj |

The visit is indispensable. Highly tourist location, but well meets the role. A huge variety of things to do, casinos, bars and restaurants. Everything on foot is very immersive. Worth a visit.

Vacation

By Global06282874956 |

We visited downtown and had a very fun experience. We took my mother in law for her first time and she was amazed. The atmosphere was so energetic and fun. I recommend to anyone visiting Vegas to go downtown.

Night and Day

By Robin M |

We visited the Fremont Street Experience the first night we hit Las Vegas, and again during the daylight hours.

At night all of the lights are lit and it is impressive. Beyond that, there were several very bad cover bands on the street, street vendors, drunks and addicts, and the smell of pot permeated the area. Rating = 1 Star.

During the day the canopy is still lit up and operating. Music is pumped out onto the street and matches the movements on the canopy. It's not deafening. You can still talk to the people you are traveling with. There are some street performers looking to make a buck if you take their picture. There are many souvenir shops to check out. Rating = 4 Stars.

Fermont St worth a look

By Shazzza32 |

We went to Fermont St afternoon of New Years eve, it was an enjoyable experience with all the set ups for New Year been put in place, the ceiling was constantly changing, the the zipliners were having lots of fun. All manner of people watching, new bride and grooms, cross dressers, Chippendale, and lots of cheap souvenirs. A free wander to fill in the afternoon.

Overstimulating and loud

By Courtney M |

There’s just a lot going on here. Bad cover bands, loud street performers, it’s really over stimulating and honestly exhausting. Great place to be if you’re out for a wild night I suppose

Not impressed

By Sherpa290468 |

Totally disappointed with the experience. All the retro signs and places have been completely overshadowed by the glitz that you could find on the strip. I think they really missed the mark by not preserving what was so unique to this stretch of Vegas.

Great trip.

By Keith D |

We were upgraded to a luxe room being a military veteran. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. Nice options for food within the hotel.

Must Visit in Vegas

By tonypzo |

I would rate this as only one of two must-see experiences in Las Vegas (the other being the Bellagio Fountain). Amazing entertainment- live music, street performers, zip liners and the live media above - unmatched.

Come for the party

By Brandon L |

We did the zipline for our birthdays, and it was awesome! The light show, the people watching, the party atmosphere, and the casinos make Fremont Street a good time.

Yes it IS an Experience

By kfish59 |

We stayed in Downtown for 4 nights, so spent much time on Fremont Street. Disclaimer-I am 60 plus and can be offended, but not easily offended. I do not think someone should bring a child to Fremont Street except perhaps during the day. Even then it would be a maybe as there are things you will see that are PG13 to R. It's been many years for me, but it reminds me of Bourbon Street in N. Orleans.

Now to the good part. The light show which runs almost continually is really something to see. I believe they say it is the largest digital screen in the world. There is also Zip Lines that go the length of Fremont and the riders are visible to those on the street. There is some really good BBQ at the end by the Circa and Golden Gate property. It is served right there in a food truck. There are a couple of bars outside on the street. There are 3 stages up and down the street with bands starting at about 10 pm-1am. To be honest these bands were pretty good and I think they are paid for by a couple of the casino properties. Most of the music was rock with some being older songs. One band focused on Country. The atmosphere is a party atmosphere for sure.

If you like ducking inside a casino once in a while. You may need to eat or chill or gamble and are into a party and people watching Fremont should be for you.

What a party!!

By Renée F |

Crazy busy and neon everywhere. It’s a circus and there is food and drinks and the old school casinos. People dancing, busking panhandling. Keep your eyes 👀 on your pockets and be smart. Have a great time!

I understand why everyone said, "everyone has to go once." We went walked down and back and left...and likely won't ever go back...we definitely could have done without it and wouldn't have missed a thing...

If you are into the party scene, this is absolutely your place - party scene, entertainment, street performers, way cheaper drinks and food than the Strip.

But things to keep in mind - and we went around 8:30/9:00 pm..it is very crowded, all kinds of smoke will be blowing in your face - I've never smelled so much weed in my entire life combined (but again, that's not my thing - if it is your thing, you'd be completely unphased). There were also people doing harder drugs right out in the open.

The zipline concept is pretty cool, but you can do that elsewhere, with better scenery. The overhead monitors are also cool, but not worth the trip.

Just wasn't our thing. We were so happy to get back to our hotel...

Fun was had by all

Had a great time at the El Cortez!!!
Went with good friends and it was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming!!! Will definitely stay there again.

Fun party for healthy people without neurological disorders

By SandyAmanda |

Fun, great music, I really like the experience, bands, light shows and would recommend it to anyone. Bring ear plugs unless tinnitus is a souvenir you want to take home. It's too loud, your chest will hurt. My friend has Huntington's disease and it was too much stimulation for her. She started to pass out ( sober) but everyone thought she was drunk and wouldn't help us. I begged for a wheelchair, even asked for an ambulance, but noone could hear me. Don't bring anyone with a medical issue like anxiety, epilepsy, or brain disorders here. If you want to party like it's 1999, go for it, you will have a blast. I would love to go back by myself.

THE OTHER LAS VEGAS YOU HAVE TO VISIT IF OR IF

By Ariel S |

A short distance from the Strip is the area that would be old Las Vegas of the 60s and 70s, a place that after being old-fashioned and semi-abandoned resurfaced as a must-see. The difference between the new Las Vegas full of luxury hotels, themed and monumental, with streets full of high-end cars, limousines, bridges with escalators and LED screens everywhere, is that here in Freemont the only LED screen you will find is the one that occupies the entire extension of the 5 or 6 streets and they cover it completely, turning the place into a surreal walk, this would almost be like a Las Vegas more popular than the current one, its marquees still have hundreds of bulbs like those of old, the bustle of people is even greater than that of the Strip, every night there are three stages with live bands playing themes of the 60s, 70s and 80s, of course, the bustle and the music so loud can become almost intolerable after a long walk. There are many souvenir shops at a lower price than those on the Strip, many breweries and fast food places. You can also cross the entire street on a fun zip line where you can slide sitting or horizontally Superman style flying. It is an extremely colorful, fun and overwhelming place worth going to visit from 7 PM.

Don't miss it.

By Richb2004 |

This place is great. A really quite unique experience, not to be missed. Don't listen to the worriers and the cautious Collins who might say it's not safe. It's a vibrant, loud, and colourful spot for sure, but nothing to be afraid of. My 16 year old loved it.

It Vegas embrace the hot mess

By BostonPenguin |

Fremont Street Experience is a hot mess. The circle performers range from awesome to very bad. The fake showgirls are there for photos for tips, and most are not showgirl-quality. The cowboy dudes at least hit the gym! The “tip to start the show” groups missed the memo on how tipping works. Tip the Gorilla it’s hot in those suits. Lots of homeless mixed in the crowd, just don’t engage. The bands are decent and varied. I loved the Mexican music and the crowd dancing. It feels pretty safe, but not great visuals for kids….although I do not think Vegas is appropriate for kids at all. Many cheap shopping venues, great food on a Fremont East side.

Fun, vibrant and lots of people watching

By OasisBound T |

We found parking a couple blocks away on a side street during Christmas. The entire block was bright and there was music playing everywhere. We saw at least 2 DJs playing. There was a tv game show Family Feud going on. Fun to check out.

It’s alright.

By 644AndreaC |

Nothing really great. Went there just to check out Freemont. About 3 to 4 band stages. Just a place to people watch. All casinos were filthy and all smoking areas. Not worth the trip.

Interesting sights but very dodgy

By theT |

I went here with my partner but she quickly wanted to leave.

This place is very interesting and there’s endless street entertainers to watch, but it’s not for children and partners, more like a place for going wild and getting messy.

There’s drug addicts/unstable people everywhere, scammers everywhere, it is a very crime ridden area.

If you decide to visit, be very cautious wandering around, and especially if you are planning on getting drunk, it seems like the type of place people could take advantage of you or worse.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed

By LukeDaDuke |

Went with my parents and it was very interesting... probably more fun if you go with friends and drink and party. Lots of homeless people around. Easily can ignore the scamy feather girls. It's kind of overwhelming with loud music and flashing lights, and the smell of pot smoke everywhere. If you're a family, I'd say skip, but it could be more fun with friends to experience the nightlife in vegas.

Just mental

By mcbec |

So fun to go and see. It's such a crazy place, you literally see anything and everything! If you thought the strip was busy then this is another level. You wouldn't want to spend your whole trip here but it's worth a visit.

Overrated

By travelbug |

Just an area with cheap souvenirs , greasy food and lots of alcohol. Spent a few hours there and it just wasn’t my thing. I can at least say I saw it.

A spectacular experience! I recommend it, it's like partying 24/7. Top-rated scenarios. It was the best day

By Nayrobis M |

A spectacular experience! I recommend it, it's like partying 24/7. Top-rated scenarios. It was our best day in Vegas.

Fun and cheap.

By Elias sackman |

A great experience, fun, relax, laughter, live shows/concerts, street artists, bars in L calle, Good Mood, Security, Fun People. You can bring your own drink and save dollars.

Freemont Street Experience

By kellyjandrew |

Fantastic site to see in Las Vegas. Atmosphere is great. Live entertainment and lots to see and do! Great souvenir shops and restaurants, Evel Pie being our favourite!

Disappointing

By Katrin |

Didn't quite understand the charm of the Fremont Street Experience: a covered shopping street with casinos, souvenir shops with knickknacks and street performers who want to be paid to have their picture taken with tourists. I could have skipped it without missing out - The strip is so much nicer with all its beautiful buildings!
But we were in Fremont in the middle of the day, probably more fun in the evening with free concerts and performances.

Fremont Street is a must.

By Lesley V |

Fremont Street is a must to visit. Atmosphere is very different at night than through the day. A lively and interesting place.

Good Experience, lots happening in Freemont District

By Andrew M |

Went to Freemont Street on our last night as our adults' kids hadn't been to Vegas before. It was a buzzing place, full of people and entertainment and was a great to see that vibe. The amount of weed being smoked is out of this world, I can't stand the smell of it so it was a bit overwhelming for me, but each to their own, its legal so I can't really complain.

We got dropped off by ride share which was a tad expensive, but going back we approached one in the street, and he got us back quite cheaply for cash.

Fun

By Marilyn L |

The show is at the top of the hour starting at 6 or 7 running until 2 a.m.
It's great. Lots of side-shows happening, too. I felt very safe, lots of law enforcement around.

Good Times!

By taylormade1 |

The shows were amazing, the food was great! Zip lines were fun, The Colombian dancer was just super amazing. Drinks were on target!

By Chris R |

Good place to go for live music and great experience anytime of the week or weekend usually something going on. Anytime of the day is good to go but not is usually better more lights

Amusing

By Heather |

Freemont is located downtown and is a quick Uber ride from The Strip, or you can take the bus (the Deuce). There are several bars, activities and street performers along with a huge video screen dome and audio to match. They offer free concerts across several stages with direct access into several casinos.

To see!

By Carole-Anne J |

We spent an evening and a morning walking around Fremont. We slept at the Grand Downtown Las Vegas right next door.
The evening was amazing! It’s really a sight! We liked our walk on Fremont more than the Strip near the hotels.
The shows are free and really good! The decor is spectacular and the animation is constant! Be careful, they all want to get you a little ticket!
In the morning, it’s something else! There are many homeless people who clearly have mental health problems. The atmosphere is a little creepy!

Disappointed

By AM1290 |

I was really looking forward to visiting after reading the reviews but could not tell you how disappointed I was.

It all seems very cheap, the street performers were making rude remarks, very crowded. More homeless people than the rest of Vegas. The choice of food was POOR! Most food places seemed rundown/poor hygiene. Walked into one place the smell of sick was so bad I had to walk out. Ended up buying a Walgreens sandwich after trying 4 other places and ran into issues.

I personally would not take children there very crowded with drunk people not the ideal place for children.

The lights looked good

But generally don’t know what all the fuss is about.

Only recommended if have extra time/days to kill

By Gvipin |

Overhyped but can visit, if you have time. Poor version of Vegas strip. Maybe I went with high expectation, so was disappointed.

half day where las vegas began

By 268nadines |

Very good experience, a nice place other than the strip. Other than the main artery which is very pretty to see, walking a little and moving away from this place, there are nice and quiet corners frequented by locals. A small bagel restaurant is not expensive at all, very good, very friendly atmosphere

Old Vegas

By Rowina S |

Staying on the strip, but was interesting to see what this place was about. Very loud and weird to say the least. Though better rates for the tables than at the strip.

Love this place!!

By Sunny H |

OMG this is a must for all visiting Vegas! It is impossible to describe...a street carnival like no other ....many, many street performers, lights, music, sights you will only see in Vegas!

A must do at night

By StephanToronto |

Fantastic experience. The Led show on the ceiñing is amazing. Good shopping and vars. Music and entertainement everywhere. A super fun night out for adults. Cheaper than the strip. Also, we felt very safe.

One of the best "free" things to do in Vegas

By AAAtravelmaven |

Visiting with my bestie who has never been to Vegas and while I've been several times, never made it here. IT IS AMAZIN! It's just so Vegas - lights, shows, musicians, restaurants, shops, people, showgirls and of course, my now personal favorite - Chippendales.
The light show above the pedestrian walkway is so bright, colorful and imaginative that I had to stop several times and stand still with my mouth agape at the display. Gee, tourist much?
Where else can you see some dominatrix, a juggles, a singer and a monk in the same block? Plenty to do, see and eat - and drink.
It felt fun and exciting and safe - which was nice. Took the Dues down to make it even easier and cheaper. And if you are staying on the Strip - there is a Walgreens to pick up some essentials that are mmuch more resonable priced.

No longer the place it used to be

By Paulette B |

Freemont Street has become home to street performers who are nothing more than glorified beggars. None of them are doing anything special, except the guy who seems to defy gravity, while being perfectly still and holding onto a guitar. You can’t even walk down the street without being screamed at by the performers, who all want you to come over and give them tips. It’s exhausting!

Excellent! A winning tour of Vegas

By Sharlyn R |

Excellent Tour of Downtown! Definitely worth the money and time. You learn so much it may even have you leave Vegas on a win! Definitely a “do not miss” on your stay in Vegas.

Great.

By pierre c |

An evening in Freemont is a must in Las Vegas. You get plenty of them, a very good Mood, street artists, different concerts of different musical styles.. top.

Good time

By gtrayn |

Walked along Fremont Street with a group. Had a good time and took in the atmosphere. The buskers were entertaining and funny. Would definitely recommend going at night.

Staying here for my next vegas trip

By Eric |

Had alot of fun. Was exhausted from a poor hotel experience and alot less walking is required on Fremont.
Covered area is nice.

Dispensable - stays on the strip

By Daniel B |

No more glamour. The video projection can now be saved for good by the Sphere on the Strip. On Freemont Street, the audience was unbearable.

Not worth it just to stare at a ceiling!!!

By Claudio |

Not sure about daytime but at night its loud, trashy, smells horrible, food options suck and local hotels have minimal options. Found myself gripping my wallet in my pocket and holding my g/f hand tighter than usual! Some of the people that hang around here are trash! Witnessed a family with kids sleeping on the casino floor while waiting in line at a restaurant, just gross!! Smells like weed and smoke everywhere, wanted to toss my clothes after leaving! 🤮🤮.

Sleazy shock after slick strip

By DavidSB |

We went to see where it all began. Its awkward to get to from the main strip. Fremont Street is sadly disappointing, run down, grubby, sleazy. It's another side of Las Vegas, one we would have been pleased to miss.

Guaranteed fun, but go with an open mind!

By Juliano Horta |

Unlike the Strip, Fremont Street offers a more accessible and friendly environment for those who want to experience Las Vegas in its most authentic state. It is a place where the old finds the new, luxury blends with simplicity, and fun is always guaranteed.

For those looking for the true Las Vegas spirit, a visit to Fremont Street is essential. Prepare to be surprised, thrilled and have fun like never before!

Amazing experience!!!

By Gigi H |

Fremont Street Experience was a very special and unique experience. The curved animated long roof was amazingly stunning to look at, everytime I looked at it I didn’t want to take my eyes off of it. It was outdoor but I felt like we were indoor because of the giant screen roof.

The street was very crowded and lively, it looked like there were more locals than on the Strip. There were people zip lining above us the whole time. People were happy and having a good time.

There were different stages with different themed shows on different locations. They were all loud but we wouldn’t hear the others while we’re watching one. It felt like a big outdoor party. There were also several artists performing on the street.

There was a lot of souvenir stores, the prices are better than on the Strip. On top of a few little things, I bought three souvenir t-shirts for 10$ which I find worth mentioning. They sold cold drinks and my coconut water was about 4$. There were also kiosks that sold cigares, some sold accessories and more souvenirs.

We stayed on the Strip and it costed 30$ to get there, one way. The next day we went back by bus and it was one 30mins bus ride straight there, it costed 8$ for a 24h pass per person. It was more quiet and less crowded during the day, besides the brightness it was a completely different vibe.

It was overall a unique and entertaining experience to go after sunset at least once when visiting Vegas. Bonus, there were no entrance fees, you only pay for things you buy.

Freemont Street Experience

By Cheska J |

The lights above Freemont street are beautiful. Tons of street performers. Multiple concerts/performances taking place. Lots of people seemed to enjoy the zipline. To me, not worth the expense if you’ve done jungle ones. Something for everyone though. And the Deuce picks up and drops off right at the Freemont experience and near your hotels. Easy attraction to enjoy.

Fremont Street Experience at night!

By Annabell O |

Fremont Street Experience is very touristy spot! It’s about five blocks long, so there’s tons to see and do. The themed hotels were super cool and easy to hop between. The LED screen is amazing, stretching 460 meters with epic light shows. The zip line is a blast, letting you fly over the crowds. There was a noticeable smell of smoke and cigarettes, but it’s Vegas and there are casinos everywhere, so it makes sense.

All in all, a super fun and lively spot to check out!

Blah

By Surpha |

Just more shops and lights. People watching was more interesting than anything else. Good to say I have been there I guess.

A Vibrant Street Experience in Las Vegas

By DesertTrips |

Our visit to Fremont Street in Las Vegas was nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere was electric with a plethora of shows and activities to enjoy Despite the weekend crowds we had a fantastic time strolling around and taking in the lively views It's a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant nightlife of Las Vegas i Highly recommended

Free Fun Entertainment

By Sassyelectra |

What fun place to go! Lots of individuals performing at assigned locations. The overhead videos are amazing to watch. Talented musical acts perform on a stage. Food, drinks, and fun!

All the madness of Vegas

By Bernard H |

At the other end of the Strip is “old” Vegas with its central pedestrian street: Freemont
Casinos, hotels, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops...and above all the numerous and incessant street shows, the "artists" trying to win 1dol by having their photos taken, the bogus and inveterate gamblers from all over the world , ....and then the loneliness of the homeless!
Clips from different artists projected on the 4k screen on the ceiling every hour from 8 p.m.
You should also visit a few casinos to observe the parade between the multitude of slot machines and their seducers
Spend an evening there, the ideal being to choose a hotel there (better value for money than on the strip where you can get there very easily thanks to the city buses: Deuce)

Interesting walk

By Alexandra B. |

A very lively area, with a strong smell of "weed", with street artists (we saw Michael), with boys and girls from cabaret clubs promoting their shows and police almost everywhere (we saw 2 arrests). It's an interesting experience but because we were together with 2 small children, we didn't spend too much time there, the vibe being a little too "gangsta"!

Free water

By Brian T |

Warning do not ask for water from bars that serve alcohol it is against Nevada state law for Fremont Street bars to serve water and you will be kindly escorted by security if you complain

White wedding

By Victoria McCollum |

Wedding bells for my eldest daughter who decided to get married in Las Vegas. It was just family . And we had a great time while we were there

Marijuana Ruined it!!!!

By Earl J J |

Enjoyed the lights, live music, street performers and everything else about Fremont Street. Marijuana ruined it. You can't even breath walking around due to the overwhelming smoke and smell of marijuana. The only people who are able to enjoy Fremont Street are marijuana smokers. Observed several people walking covering their faces with their shirts. Planed on enjoying Fremont Street for 2 days during my trip. Left within 45 minutes and will never return.

Quite the Experience!

By Astrida M |

A visit to Las Vegas is not complete without going to explore the Fremont Street Experience! It's an experience that you don't easily forget. It is something you won't experience in your town. The vibe is unusual, weird, shocking, unique, fun, strange, repulsive, yet entertaining. You have to see it to believe it, more or less. I have been there many times, and it never ceases to amaze me. There is loud music played constantly to add to the atmosphere.

There are street performers galore! They are required to do their "act" within a specified circle, or the police visit them. They are looking for tips. There are males and females scantily dressed and want to take a picture with you. There are live bands, people in costumes, clowns, gorillas, and various other strange outfits. No one bothered us, and we were happy about that.

There are many small restaurants thruout. We ate at Project BBQ. The service was friendly and the food was good! There is no fine dining that we saw.

If you like gambling, there were several casinos. While I didn't gamble this trip, I was very lucky at the Golden Nugget a couple of years ago and came out way ahead. Usually, that doesn't happen.

The main reason that we left the Strip to come here is that my daughter wanted to go on the SlotZilla! I refused to go on it, but I volunteered to take pictures of her on it. She loved it!

As in many large cities in the US, you also need to be aware that there are many homeless people who like to hang out here. We were not bothered by anyone here.

It was fun to be back here. Maybe in a couple of years, I'll come back.

A lot going on but beautiful views on the screen covering Fremont street.

By Sonja |

Since we were staying in old toen las vegas we went to Fremont street several timestamp, during the day at night and in the weekend and throughout the week. No matter what time Fremont street is both beautiful and overwhelming. The screen covering Fremont street shows beautiful art and light shows, best seen at night but also nice at daytime. There are free shows at different stages with different quality. Best are during the weekend at night.
Bring good shoes because it is hard to find a place to sit.
There is a lot going on so this is not for everyone. I didnt like all the noise and music clashing and really had to wind down after a bit.

A Great Experience! A Must See!

By MangAndres |

We recently visited the Fremont Experience at downtown Las Vegas and were pleasantly surprised! This is the first time we’ve seen this part of Las Vegas and for sure we will be back! It is so lovely and lively with much cheaper places to eat and gamble compared to the strip! People here are more about customer service, customer experience, and customer satisfaction… while employees at the Las Vegas Strip casinos are more into taking your money! Casino employees on Fremont are more like the employees at the strip 25 years ago when you feel valued as a customer! From now on, I would rather take my business at the Fremont rather than stay at the overpriced Strip Casinos.

The other side of Vegas. Unmissable

By Papiux |

We went to Freemont Street where we saw the giant screen here admission is free. There are very good atmosphere live music groups or DJs everywhere. Casinos, shops and bars. All very father with good music. It's a long street as a walker without vehicles with a giant screen on the dome. There is zip line and varieties and a super atmosphere. Very father is that area there is a parking nearby 1/2 block with enough space.

Hmmmm ……

By Patron17 |

The visual roof, and zip liners is really neat to watch. There are buskers around in their “circle” painted in the street and signs saying that they “cannot demand payment”. There is music coming from speakers which makes listening to the live bands or buskers challenging. Overall, it feels like a mini Las Vegas strip with a roof.

Mind boggling.

By Gayle C |

A really eye opening experience which is a surprise a minute. Great street artists and live music. Amazing canopy changing colours and so much to look at. Craziness but all good fun.

The constant persuasion to buy stuff etc is off putting but no worse than the strip. Things are very expensive too.
