We are ambassador level with Marriott. We came to the Grand ole opry hotel in Nashville tonight... a lot is closed due to Covid which we didn’t know at the time of booking.....so limited our favorite Jack Daniels restaurant closed! they still charged high rates and resort feels but we had no idea everything was closed.
We are dinner we their restaurant cascades. The food as usually was excellent but the service was horrible. There are not even a lot of people here. Our waiter, Wael, was too busy socializing and it took forever for everything! Don’t waste your time coming here... very disappointed. Unsatisfied customer! And to top it off we got the blueberry pie and vanilla bean ice cream and it was so cold why wasn’t the pie warm hmm disappointed

Day guest parking was $43.70 for 2 hours! Price was not marked or we would have gone elsewhere. Read that you can get your ticket validated but there weren’t many dining options open for lunch. Gardens were beautiful, but Nashville has some really nice parks with nature trails that are free. Day guest parking is a long ways away from entrance and no handicap parking there.

Absolutely wonderful indoor gardens ! Sooooo many plants and the waterfalls are making for a pleasant stroll. Just sit down on one of the many benches, some hidden more then others and let the time go by . The fountains while not huge, are mesmerizing to watch. Plan to grab a bite later in the day if you chose so or just walk around and marvel. 2-3 hours flew by and did not even realize it.

Our trip to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was perfect! SoundsWaves is a MUST, the Princess Tea with Princesses Magnolia and Pearl was adorable, and the Search for the Blue Diamond Boat Ride was magical. Princess Magnolia and Pearl remembered my daughter's name "Savannah," which delighted my daughter and on the way home, she said "I'm going to miss my new Princess friends." The dinner at Old Hickory was delicious (best steak in the South), and the breakfast buffet at Cascades was hearty and comforting. I recommend the Relache spa Deep Tissue Massage with Eric. Everything was incredibly clean and we felt safe the entire time. Thank you, thank you to the friendly, smiling, and helpful staff.

Did not stay here but spent a couple of hours checking it out. Beautiful inside! Places to shop and eat.

We went to check out the indoor gardens and eat an early dinner. Only the bar was open so we left. Even though we were parked for less than an hour (46 minutes, we got charged $33+tax ($36.05). It’s a total scam. They ripped me off with parking and refuse to let me pay by the hour rates. And the customer service is terrible and you can’t talk to anyone.

The good:
The room was clean
The indoor gardens were cool, although pretty loud with all the indoor waterfalls
The staff seemed nice
The bad:
This place nickel and dimes you for everything, which is a bad look in an expensive hotel, $18 for the shuttle, $75 bucks for a late check out, and be prepared to pay $4 for plain coffee because the room had no coffee maker
Terrible location if you are interested in anything in Nashville aside from the hotel and Opryland
Long lines everywhere for registration, coffee, seats in restaurants, etc
Personally I wouldn’t come back. I suppose if your ideal vacation is wandering around a massive hotel property this may be a good place for you.

Loved the Christmas lights and nativity scene and so did a lot of other people. Very busy and we would like to come back another time to enjoy the indoor gardens.

Ambiance was lovely, decorations for the holiday season breath taking. Had been to annual professional conference 15 years ago in the summer. It was breath taking then and more so with a friend.

We look forward to coming every year for the NWTF Convention in February. Just a beautiful atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Enjoyed the water show and walking around to see all the water features, plants, and awesome decor. Reminded me of being in Vegas.

If you are not statying at the resort you will have to PAY for parking! The way around this is to find the movie theater that is located in the mall across the street. Park at the very edge of the lot and walk to the Resort ~ about a 10 min walk. Total worth it. From there once you enter you can then spend as much time as you want walking though the maze of 7 diffent rooms of plants, shopping, dinning, boat rides, and even water slides! We sat at "The Falls" for a couple of hours waiting for the time to approch to go to the airport and had some drinks~ tranquil!
since you have a good parking spot that is centrally located ~ you can take a 10 min walk back and go right to the Opry House. It's a win~ win!

I was honestly blown away by the size of this resort! We weren't staying here but wanted to see the atrium and I think it was worth the walk over. Such a beautiful place for photos and they even have a boat ride you can take through the water. It was definitely a nice way to spend an hour or two.
FYI...unless you are staying here do NOT Park here. They charge $33 per day to park and the atrium was beautiful but not enough to justify paying that parking fee. You can either park at the Opry Mills Mall or at Cooter's Place and walk over. It's only a couple of blocks and you will save money...

We visited at a super busy time of year, but the gardens were breathtaking. A sight to see for sure! Expect to pay minimum of $15 to park and walk a lot!!

Definitely park at the mall and walk to the hotel. Very crowded but worth the walk, gardens were lovely and laid music playing.

Absolutely stunning. Their entire gardens put the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas to shame. It was so beautiful and we were not able to see everything. Definitely going to go back and revisit. Just breathtaking.

Absolutely beautiful resort. We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute of our stay. We were lucky enough to have good weather so we could use the outdoor pool. The only comment I would make about this is the sign that insists you shower before entering the pool but there aren't actually any showers in the pool area which is a bit odd. Food on the complex is very expensive but we couldn't resist a breakfast from Cinabon. Our server was adorable and the buns and frozen lemonade were delicious but very overpriced. Most food venues on the complex close at 10pm so after getting back from a late excursion I managed to grab a chicken ceasar wrap but at 14 dollars it was a really expensive snack. The complex itself is absolutely stunning with beautifully maintained gardens. The Halloween decorations were fantastic especially the witches flying around the ceiling. We did the boat trip which was really silly and quite expensive but if you're young at heart or have kids with you is well worth dojng as we thoroughly enjoyed it. Beware you will be charged 25 dollars a night resort fee for staying here but the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and the resort is in a great location as it's about a 15 minute drive from downtown Nashville and the airport and a 10 minute walk to the Grand ole Opry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

My trip was ruined by the lack of directions. Followed signs for “ice parking” and parked in the lot. $36 for us to leave the lot!!!
Nowhere in this lot was a sign for any charge to park. So upset I’ll never come again

We had about 45 minutes to kill before our riverboat tour so we decided to check out the gardens at Opry Land Resort. It took about 10 minutes to find parking not reserved for hotel guests, and another 10 to walk the distance to the hotel itself. Once inside we saw the beautiful gardens and waterfalls. Sadly we only got to tour one area before beginning the long walk back. I would like to come back and see more.

We went for the Christmas lights. The did not disappoint. The place is huge, so walking and climbing steps is more of an issue than it might appears. Restaurants inside are slightly above average but pricey. Glad we went.

We didn't stay here, but we took a nice walk inside. It was so beautiful and tranquil. Just to walk around and hear the water from the various places. To look at the lovely walkways and flowers and trees inside.

Nice indoor gardens, very extensive. Friendly staff and multiple restaurants throughout the hotel. A good way to kill time while waiting for our tour of the Grand Ole Opry.

This hotel is gorgeous. Everything you need under one roof! Indoor/outdoor waterpark, restaurants, ice cream, gelato, Cinnabon, Auntie Ann’s, you name it!! The gardens are flawless with waterfalls and a boat ride!

$32 for parking your own car. You can no longer park at the mall and hike over. You expect to spend a lot on lunch at one of the cafés and a walk through the garden yet the prices have gotten so high its not worth your time.

The gardens are pristine and relaxing to walk thru. Allow for a good hours to really enjoy a casual walk. The gardens can be busy on any given day and unfortunately people just stop in the middle of the walkways without thought of others or hold up people to take pics rather than find a quiet spot of which there are many. Not a reflection on the hotel at all but rather the lack of courtesy many show to others. Beyond that nuisance the gardens are relaxing walk. It can be a maze at times so the signage has greatly improved over the years. The ICE exhibit at Christmas is also great. They did allow too many in at a time so that the exhibits could not be fully appreciated. As it is 13 degrees F. inside, most are not dressed appropriately and although special coats are required it is still very cold for the small kids, who tend to not like cold areas and get fussy. Common sense should be used before visiting this particular attraction. The ICE bar holds about 6 people and of course you exit the exhibit thru the gift shop.

We planned a weekend here 8/5 and 8/6 with 2 other couples and their children. I'll start by saying the park is nice and the resort itself is pretty awesome. Thats the end of positive things. After paying over $500/night as a Tennessee resident (2 adults and a 2-year-old), buying the entire package that includes everything, I was still charged either $33/day for parking or $45/day for valet. AS a guest of the resort they still milk you for parking! Check-in is not until 3 and takes forever so don't plan on getting a full day of fun your first day there. After finally checking in and getting to the Soundwaves entrance, I stood in a 25-minute line to get our wristbands for entry to the park. Only to be told that I didn't pay for wristbands in my package (I absolutely did) and spent another 20 minutes while the incompetent assistant tried to figure it. Finally figured it out and 2 hours later we made it to the park. It was overcast outside so the indoor park was our option, and it was FREEZING. Giant overhead fans blowing on everyone who is indoors and wet, accompanied by blaring music so loud that you have to yell at the person standing directly next to you. 20-minute wait lines for slides. 2-3 hour waits for any restaurant and only one of them (Old Hickory Steakhouse) takes reservations. The next morning, we entered the park at 10am AFTER my wristband did not work again, had to return to desk and go through that process again. The restaurant inside Soundwaves was not open so had to return to the outside and try and find food. I found a turkey sandwich (in a cooler in a plastic clamshell), a chicken salad sandwich, a yogurt, a Pepsi, and a muffin...$56 DOLLARS. The hot water on the shower ran out after the 2nd person in our room had showered. Finally, when were ready to leave this disaster, we requested the luggage racks to be brought to our room, and after an entire our of no one showing up, we had to try and drag it all down to the parking area. I would absolutely recommend Nashville Shores, or just skipping your trip altogether. Don't waste an exorbitant amount of your money here.

Top service
Crowded on weekends
Something for everyone
Gardens were amazing
Clean, neat and organized

Great place to stop by. I bet its great for families stay, but bit far away from city. Went for the snow event, and honestly is nothing amazing. I bet the water park and mall is the best attractions.

I spent a ton of money at the spa so my wife could enjoy a massage while I am at a conference. The self parking is $36 per day and I learned that you do not get in and out privileges; I wanted to leave for lunch and found out that there is no way to come back without having to pay all over again. I would think a resort of this caliber could accommodate this since others certainly can but the guest representatives just offered a lazy apology and stated there was nothing they could do. Completely disappointing.

There is such a wide variety of plants and trees and all so decoratively displayed...just beautiful!

Overall great experience. However, be prepared for massive crowds on Broadway. The Ryman and Country Music HOF are musts. Saw a great show at the Grand Ole Opry and did the backstage tour. Well worth the $$

This hotel sits on the largest hotel footprint in the world (over 40 acres). Inside the perimeter of the hotel rooms (which number nearly 3000) are 9 acres of exquisite gardens covered by a glass roof over 50 feet high. In these 9 acres are fountains, ponds, waterfalls, trees, bushes and flower gardens that are an absolute garden of Eden. There is even a lagoon where you can take a guided boat ride for 15 minutes in the "Delta" section of the gardens.
A must-see visit while in Nashville ... great place to have lunch or dinner while sitting in the middle of the lush gardens.

The Inn at Opryland hotel is a remodeled RED ROOF INN!! NEVER STAY HERE!! The ONLY good thing is this property is a Marriott so I received my stay points!! Other than that, NEVER stay here!!

The gardens are very beautiful and have a nice sound of running water falls. There are ground paths and upper level walkways. It is nice to see at night and day. There are not many places to sit in the gardens but it is a great walk.

We absolutely loved the performances of up and coming artists on September 21, 2021. Tracey, one of the employees, is a true ambassador of not only the grand ole opry but of Nashville in general. She couldn't have been more personable and helpful. She is really a great asset to the grand ole opry.

Even when it's pouring outside, you can enjoy all the fragrances and beauty of these gardens. Listen to some live music, stroll around, take pictures, and just relax. Grab a bite to eat at one of the great restaurants. FYI Parking is $32, but parking at the mall and walking to the gardens is free.

This is a beautiful resort with several garden areas within the surrounding hotel space. It is covered by an atrium, so the gardens can be enjoyed year round. In each area, there are a variety of dining options and a few shops. There is also an outdoor event space (a band was playing when I visited) and it is close to Opry Mills Mall. I only visited the gardens, but I would consider booking a room here during a future visit.

Beautiful hotel. So big you get lost repeatedly. A few reasons why I don't give a 5. #1 All the doors in the hotel get stuck and don't fully close. Maybe it is a preventative thing they did to prevent slamming, but i could have gone in 100 different rooms during my stay. #2 The pool is so far away from all food! Anyone wanted to spend a day at the pool is difficult. Also sooo far from our room. There was a bar that was closed mid Oct so maybe I'd that was open...#3 our fridge is a block of ice. #4 our safe had low battery. #5 is so difficult to get food timely. Only a few places are ala cart and they can be a million miles away. Restaurants booked.. However still a 4. Beautiful place to stay. River boat ride so much fun.

We were overcharged over $1,000 and have still not been refunded 1 month after the stay and after hours waiting on the phone to talk with customer service.

Beautiful, amazing, unique hotel. It is huge and we spent a lot of time just exploring. The indoor water park was fun. (They closed the outside water park early the day we went....disappointing but still had fun.) Make sure to go to the water show and ride the boat on the indoor river!

We visited the ICE exhibit and walked the hotel atrium area. Be warned the boat ride is now $23.99, despite what I read online. We decided that was too much. Otherwise, it was a great visit.

We planned this visit from the start and glad we did. Exquisite gardens with a large variety of plants, all under cover. The fountain dance is not to be missed. That cannot be said for the $14 boat ride that lasts about 15 minutes; save your money.

Loved this place! The Christmas decorations were awesome we spent a good 4 hrs here the kids loved the ice skating and the boat tour around the centre

Took so many pictures and rode the little boat thru the resort, this is a beautiful property. While we did not stay there, I wish we would have planned to eat at the restaurant in the gardens. The gardens are breathtaking and well worth a few hours spent. Its free and relaxing and well worth the short drive over. The resort looks like a lovely place to stay, but very much a tourist trap with the shops and restaurants etc. But the gardens are a must see.

Must see when you come to Nashville. It’s only a 20 minute drive from downtown. You can take a boat ride through the delta atrium for $15.

Very fun! Lots to see and do! Try to stay there is you can! The water park is only for guests! The food was mediocre but expensive! Definitely worth a visit! I loved all of the fountains and flowers! Definitely going to go again sometime in the future!

Unique, beautiful area to spend a few hours. You must pay to park. Inside you’ll feel like you’re walking through a beautiful nature area with lush plants, waterfalls and a river. Quaint dining options and shopping. Something for everyone.

We did not stay in the resort but went walking around the gardens. Highly recommend! Beautiful way to spend some time looking at all the plants, flowers and the falls, sitting under the atrium drinking mimosas. Great way to start the day!

It was great to take the river boat tour and just walk around the atrium. I would definitely stay here if I wanted a nice place outside of downtown Nashville with great amenities. The cookies at the gelato place were good. Food at the mexican restaurant was filling.

We weren't staying on property but wanted to see the beautiful resort. To avoid the $55 parking fee, we parked at Opry Mills and walked to the resort which took about 10 minutes. The gardens are simply fabulous and so well maintained. Lots of eateries and little shops to browse too. Definitely worth checking it out.

According to friends, this was a must see in Nashville. We went in to poke around and see what was in there. It was definitely one of a kind place to see. Beautiful gardens and scenery. We did stop in a spot for lunch - but I can't remember the name, the sandwiches were very good. My hubby said that the room prices were pretty close to what he had checked out for our stay. Not sure if we'd stay there - once you do a walk around you've pretty much "seen it all" and the rooms would have to be really above board to have us stay.

Very nice place to look around for a couple of hours. There are amazing gardens, gift shops and restaurants. Too bad we weren't hungry.
There are three gardens to look at, all are nice.
Don't park near the building though, very expensive. The parking from the outlet is next to the buildings and it's free.

Elle at the front desks was the epitome of customer service and professionalism. She greeted us every morning when we passed for the day's activities. COVID had a lot of the shops/restaurants had been shut down but everyone did their very best. We upgraded to SOUNDWAVES and it was well worth it!

This is the largest hotel complex I've been in. We got lost. The staff is very helpful. The Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful!!! Everyone can view them, not just hotel guests. The nativity is life size and breathtakingly beautiful.

Went during Christmas time. This place is amazing and so worth the trip. It is like a village within a village.

So impressive, excellent services, accommodation, food, grounds - would love to stay longer. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our short stay here , you could spend a whole day just exploring this hotel . It is mind blowing , definitely an "only in America " experience It is massive and amazing . A real experience , if we had our children there they would never want to leave .

Free experience. The gardens were beautiful ... so many different views. We would have loved to have lunch but the restaurant was reserved for a private party. Such a beautiful place to walk around and view. Next time we will stay here!

Green plants & some blooming flowers when we visited but definitely not worth the $37 to self park. It is not the spectacular visual experience I expected. Save your money if you have to pay for parking.

Our uber driver recommended we wander around the gardens, so we did. Very well maintained gardens. Worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood, but don’t make a special trip to visit them.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We walked through the hotel and were in total awe! With everything to look at, we never felt like we were in a hotel at all! STUNNING!

ONLY if you're into walking all over the place looking a tropical lushness and landscape architecture will you be interested in this place; otherwise, check off the square by sticking your head in the door and taking a BRIEF walk around - it's the same averywhere you go, unless you're really into it. FURTHER - save yourself $35 by not parking there! Go to the outlet mall just south of there (just follow the sign like you're going to the hotel) and park on the north side of the mall and walk over (better yet) just have somebody sit in the car while you run inside and take a quick look! OR, for example, if you stay at the Hyatt Place, they'll shuttle you over and back.

Did not stay at the resort. Thought we could go for lunch and see the gardens. Most of the restaurants are closed. Our only option for lunch was pizza or quick grab and go pre-made sandwiches. The hotel is massive. The gardens are beautiful but it will cost you $32.00 to park if you want to see them.

We stayed 2 nights & 2 days mid-Dec and were wowed by the beautiful place, its hugeness, gorgeous gardens and Christmas decore. All the amenities were wonderful, the Trace Adkins Christmas dinner show & Christmas music & story displays inside and outside were all fantastic. It's probably beautiful all year, but really grand for Christmas. The Library lounge & upscale steak restaurant on the lazy river terrace were especially nice for a special evening celebration dinner.

Wonderful place! We went to see the gardens which were simply amazing. The plants were so beautiful and so well cared for. Everything was just gorgeous. We ate lunch at one of the restaurants located in the garden as well.

This was a wonderful rainy day place to view the gardens. Beautiful waterfalls and good maps to guide you through. We parked for free at the mall. Put Regal Opry Mills in the GPS which is the movie theater part of the mall closest to the Opryland entrance.

Such a great time to see what they have to offer and eat. we ate at the Cascades and had a great buffet. well worth it, it also comp'd the parking fee.

What a grand experience. We found the service Hearst. We stayed at property so we’re able to enjoy the gardens from different vantage points. The lights are pretty at night. The boat ride gives a whole mother perspective. A vacation within your vacation

We have visited and stayed here several times but never with the SoundWave package. Our recent stay with Soundwave package in a king bed with interior view and was about $500 / night; but add the $120/night parking, taxes, and resort fee, the price / night is $620 / night. So make sure you ask yourself, is this a good value?

Unless you are staying at the facilities, guests must pay $35+ dollars to park and the lots are VERY, VERY full, so plan to walk a good distance to the hotel.
We love speak-easy's and saw there was one in this hotel, so we were excited to try it. The only thing that made this a "speak easy" was the dim lighting and cock-tails. It looked like a diner with a few cheap decorations and a dimmer switch added to the lighting. The wine bar at the italian buffet had more class.

Well I’m sure this place is great when conventions are booked and things are normal. It was an eerie ghost town with much of the shops, restaurants closed. The facility is really beautiful and so large. Hopefully tourists return to support this location.

Really cool garden area to see with lots of variety. It is quite relaxing to sit down nearby and have something to eat or drink while looking at the scenery. The gift shop was cool to see too.

A stunning place, it was like being in a tropical garden without leaving Nashville. Even though we weren't staying there we could see what it was like inside.

Enjoyed spending the time to walk around the atrium and see all the different plants, waterfalls and dancing water.

Saw the ice sculptures on the Sunday shorltly after Christmas. Great decorations. Almost did not go after driving by and seeing parking was $32. A local we were visiting said to go on Sunday when the mall next to it was closed and park in their parking lot free closest to the Gaylord. Worked out well. Enjoyed all the facility and events for the entry price of the Ice sculptures.

The inside of the Gaylord hotel is a site to see. beautiful flowers and an awesome atrium that are absolutely the best.

We strolled through the resort gardens while on our vacation and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The water show was beautiful! Can't wait to go back.

We headed over to look at the gardens because we had a couple of hours to kill and it was close to the hotel we were staying at. There are four distinct areas: conservatory, cascades, delta, magnolia. We spent a little over an hour. It was pretty. You could spend more time if you are really into plants. Parking for the one hour we weee there was $38! That is where they get you for the “free gardens”.

Way too expensive for what you get for the money, but it is a really cool place to visit. If you want to avoid the $30 parking fee park in the lot nearest the AMC Theatre in Opry Mills and follow the pretty path to the hotel. The staff is welcoming and don't make you feel out of place.

Beautiful hotel experience! Our sons loved sound wave water park and my husband and I enjoyed the peaceful walks through the atriums

This is a place that has several areas where you can take photos and also has multiple small shops in a specific section (I can't recall the name). The shops sell all sorts of things, including food (Cinnabon and Carvel, for example).
The best part is, you can do it all for free!

This place is one-of-a-kind and gorgeous, but easy to get lost! Parking at $10 an hour is pricey for non-conventioners!

We ended up walking through this after doing a daytime backstage tour at the Grand Ole Opry. It was very beautiful and seemed to go on and on. A cool place to visit but I don't think I would make a special trip there unless you happened to be in the area (ie: Grand Ole Opry, Opry Hills, etc).

Beautiful hotel with wonderful restaurants. The gardens inside were spectacular and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Take a boat ride inside around the hotel.

This is our second time visiting. We didn’t enjoy it as much this time. First, they expect you to pay $30 to park. Second, if you park in free parking, and take sidewalks to get there, they are several threatening signs of possibly being charged for trespassing. Very disappointing and not customer friendly. Also seemed a little run down.

This hotel is very large. It is located next to Opry Mills shopping mall. The gardens inside are beautiful to see. There are some nice restaurants inside as well. You can watch the waltzing waters inside.

That's all I can say is WOW. Just incredibly beautiful gardens, so many different species of plants, orchids and palms. It is an enclosed paradise. As you walk around you would think you are walking a path in Jamaica or another lush island. The hotel also
looks amazing, but is pricey. I am glad we were able to just enjoy the gardens. I also followed other recommendations that told you
where to park for free. It worked out very well and it wasn't that long of a walk. If I win the lotto I will certainly go back there to stay at the hotel!

We travelled over from East Nashville specifically to visit the Opryland Resort after a lot of recommendations from locals. We'd never seen a hotel like it! We took time to walk around the whole resort, then stopped for a cocktail in their bar, complete with waterfall! It's quite a spectacle and well worth a visit!

Not as busy as I recall, but still crowded with people of all ages. 2/3 of visitors/guest in masks and not really socially distancing. Gardens still beautiful...nice after dinner walk. We walked to the hotel from our hotel on Music Valley Drive. Self Park 32.00 Soundwaves waterpark looked interesting.

You can park in the Opry Mills mall parking for free and walk over and in to the Gaylord hotel. It is a treat to be able to walk around and enjoy the gardens, gazebos, waterfalls, fountains, it really is amazing.

While the gardens are beautiful as expected, the holiday decorations were very minimal. Some poinsettias along the path, a couple of overhead decorations and one giant tree near Santa. Day parking was difficult with a wheelchair and the paths were extremely crowded. I was very disappointed.

We spent a couple hours just walking through and visiting the garden areas. There was so much to see and the shops weren’t even open. We parked for free on the backside by port mills. I will definitely return

Of your near the area for business or personal it is worth the stop. Absolutely gorgeous. Sure glad we stopped

Close to Opryland but nothing else. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within the complex, but very expensive to get to all the wonderful things to do and see in Nashville.
The place is expansive so be sure to ask that your room be close to the area your meeting is in or you’ll need 20 minutes to walk.

We've traveled to 18 countries, and have stayed at all types of hotels. We've been attending an annual convention at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for 20+ years, yet this place still takes my breath with the beauty of the plants and water features. It was updated in 2019 (maybe 2018), keeping the charm of the original hotel with elegance and comfort. You truly have to see this place to believe it!

I love this hotel!!! It is huge and stunning! There are beautiful trees, flowers, and waterfalls throughout the hotel. There are some great restaurants to eat at. I’ve been to the hotel many times and recommend it to people visiting the area for great picture opportunities. You do not have to stay at the hotel to visit. This time we tried out the boat ride which takes you in a huge circle inside the hotel. My three and one year old granddaughters loved it!

Had a wonderful stay. Sitting on the balcony outside room made us feel really special. A downside was spending $54.50 for a nightcap of two Jack Daniels doubles on the rocks for my son and I.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Even though restaurants were closed there were still plenty of options to eat and activities to participate in. The Delta boat ride at school they also have summer games where you can play trivia and bingo. The waterfalls are beautiful and the customer service is nice. You have free Wi-Fi and two bottles of water which was nice on a hot day. Definitely visit the garden.

Visited two days after Xmas with 4 kids, one in a stroller. Overall not a bad scene to check out. You will pay $36 for parking and another $60ish for 4 tickets (children 3 and under are free) for the boat ride. Let’s start with the good; it’s huge with plenty of activities that you can enjoy as a family for a few like the boat ride or chariot ride, tons of food options that open at various times, plenty of gift shops, and beautiful gardens and waterfalls all decked out with lights for Xmas. The bad; it is supper crowded and knowing how to traverse the different atriums can be challenging. Also there are tons of steps or escalators but finding elevators close to them is a nuisance for sure. Some elevators can take a while bc of how crowded this place can be. A lot of the activities can sell out in advance so hard to fully enjoy unless you preplanned your visit. Also expense for what you get - not great value. Overall not a bad outing but doesn’t rank high on the to-do list.

Enjoyed the Holiday lights and special touches throughout the gardens. Loved the Bravo cafe for a delicious chocolate chip cappuccino muffin.

The indoor gardens are really beautiful. We came to see ICE and walked around the resort. We ate at one of the Mexican food cantinas which was mediocre and you had to wait a long time for the food. You do have to pay for parking which is a downside but this was a perfect activity for the whole family on a rainy day.

This resort is HUGE. Ask about getting in the Garden section with an Interior Atrium view. The balcony is small but if close to the water falls the sounds are wonderful. The water park is very nice and only available to hotel guest who purchase the package.

Beautiful hotel, decent rooms, but I would hope that if a hotel was sold out, it would be appropriate to open all bars and restaurants. Ridiculous waits and lines. If crowds bother you, this is not your place.

More than what I expected did from the pictures I saw online. Very impressed with the work and cleanliness that is maintained for this place.

Huge building with Numerous atriums, glass ceilings, thousands of plants and Christmas decorations. Indoor water with ride. Very impressive. Restaurants and shops galore. Definitely worth a stop. We didn’t stay here, but we were all glad we got to experience Opryland. I would go back because I am sure there is more to see.

While we live less than 30 minutes from the hotel/resort we try to visit at least a couple of times a year. The gardens are unlike anything you could imagine. So beautiful and peaceful. There is never a bad time to visit but the holiday season is a must/

Went for a day just to check out the gardens. Did not disappoint and recommend to anyone in the area nad a gardener or just a lover of beautiful things.

We like to go in the afternoon to see the gardens and all of the poinsettias in daylight. They are beautiful. The Christmas lighting after dark is remarkable. As crowded as it is, the resort has put either a bar or a shop on every spare space of the walkways.

We didn’t stay here but visited to see the gardens and Conservatory. Since we didn’t want to pay $37.00 to park at the Gaylord, we parked at the Opry Mill parking lot and walked a long way. The gardens were beautiful but not worth the walk.

Inconvenienced and disappointed! We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort hoping for a quick fun vacation before Thanksgiving of 2020. While the hotel its self was beautifully decorated and had many fun Christmas themed activities, the big draw was the SoundWaves indoor water park. Complete disappointment! They were under staffed so 1 person was working multiple slides at a time cause unnecessarily long lines to wait in. “Policies” we’re not clearly posted and the staff seemed to pick and choose who had to follow those policies. There are much better options out there for families looking for an indoor water park experience.

Large maze with long waits and no help to be found. They have a smile button on phone to get help, no one answers. Pool bar closed. Many stores closed. Multiple restaurants closed. No towels at pool. Understaffed valet. understaffed front desk. Long walks to everything with poor signage. They tell you at check in no maid service unless you ask for it because of covid? No laundry service or even laundry room. 1.45 hour waits for restaurants on a Tuesday night? Live music sounds horrible due to acoustics in the dome. maddening nonstop echo of waterfall noise bouncing off dome. Expect to get lost and walk at least 1/4 of a mile every time you leave and go back to your room. When I go to a resort I should feel relaxed , not overwhelmed.

The Opryland Resort is a "must-go" experience when visiting Nashville! The conservatories and waterfalls throughout the property are beautiful and lush. The resort had their Christmas lights up as of 11/1, which added to the overall attractiveness of the resort, especially at night. Plenty to see and do,(including live music) even for a day-tripper. There are also 12 different restaurants to choose from. We recommend this very highly for tourists. It is well worth the trip from downtown Nashville. A tip: it is cheaper to take a rideshare to the front door than it is to park in their parking lot for the day. Pair this visit with a concert at the adjacent Grand Ole Opry for a totally fun day!.

Fantastic place. if you are in Nashville you must stop and see this hotel. It's got 3 acres of indoor gardens. it has restaurants and stores so you are sure to find something to do. There's ample parking for any size vehicle including big RVs. Best of all, it's free.

Called at the Gaylord Hotel our taxi driver suggested it no words to describe simply amazing beyond description The gardens the fountains just need to see it unforgetable

So beautiful! Expensive to park, but nice to know have to walk a mile to get there. Really enjoyed the thoughtful planning. They have begun to decorate for Christmas!

The Conservatory there is so beautiful, so meticulously maintained, and so amazing in its diversity, l would go, just to see that. But also the hotel has cute restaurants, ice cream places, sit down spots for a drink, and walking paths with benches where you can stop and really meditate on the beauty. Then, there’s this river! With boats on it!
And yes, it cost us $32 to park, but it was well worth this money.

Because of limited things to do in the evening with an underage teen, we visited the Gaylord at night. The fountain show was fine but having visited in the daytime several years ago, It was much better to see the fabulous plants. The pizza was mediocre. Go in the daylight. Everything shows to the full advantage.

I am here now. I booked 2 queens beds and asked for an accessible room. When we got our room ir had one bed. I called for help as I dont walk well. They said accessible le rooms only have 1 bed. I told them u the 2 beds as I have teens with me. They said they would give me a rollaway free. I told them I can't sleep on a rollaway due to my handicap. They said they don't have 2 beds and to get an adjoining g room id
Have to pay for the other room. Speaking to a manager gor us the 2 queens room but the keys didn't work. I called the desk 3 times. Waited 3 times foe security to come help since I couldn't walk any further. This hotel is large and after walking 1.5 miles I stood for 65 minutes ar the door. We are finally in our room. But can't leave as we do not have a key to reenter and cannot guarantee I will make it to the lobby for one before getting too fatigued. I just wanted to come rest by the pool, eat good food and enjoy the kids. Now I am in too much pain from the room issues that I will have to rest for 24 hours. I am so sad.

Great place to visit and spend a couple of hours. Kid friendly. Christmas lights were very pretty. Lota to offer.

This was a must do on our trip list! The resort is beautiful and the Cascades part is breathtaking. We walked around and grabbed a quick bite. We have plans to return and stay in the resort after seeing it in person!

Different place. Very nice, various restaurant options. However, the place is huge, poorly marked, difficult to move around without getting lost. Not to mention the parking is expensive. Expensive prices.

OMG- this place all decked out for Xmas is magical- between teh waterfalls, boat rides , decent food, great shops- the poinsettias everywhere, lights, trees and the the special things they bring in like live reindeer, ice skating, etc. Kind of Disney- like in a very good way

Great free stop for a and hour or two to check out beautiful indoor gardens and waterfalls. We parked across the street at the various restaurants and shops and then walked in (otherwise parking is $33). We walked around the Garden Conservatory, Cascades, and Delta. They are large glass dome rooms filled with plants and trees with water features throughout. You can walk on little trails that connect multiple restaurants and shops. We stopped to watch the free 10-min Fountain show in the Delta room that run at the top of every hour from 6pm-9pm. We had a fun time walking through the resort for the evening, it was like nothing I had seen before!

Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful waterfalls. Nice places to drink, eat and walk. We enjoyed a few local beers. Would be great on the cooler days!

Stayed at this beautiful resort last week for 4 nights . The gardens are absolutely amazing unbelievable that this is in the middle of a hotel . The waterfalls and gardens are just mesmerising .

We went to the Gaylord on a day that was 102 degrees!! So glad we made it--It was a bit of a turn off when the parking area immediately around the Gaylord was about 30 dollars to park--we found a parking lot near the Grand Ol Opry that was free--yes it was in a mall area and we actually ate in the mall It was a bit of a walk but well worth it especially if you love plants, nice shops and there is even a water park. The beauty of the facility was quite nice. Don't miss it Tip: if you park near the Chuy restaurant there is a path that will take you past the Opry and on to the Gaylord--don't forget your walking shoes and hope you have cooler weather

A must see if you are in the area! The gardens are absolutely beautiful!
Although the parking fee seems high most restaurant s within the resort will validate your ticket if you eat there. We did not stay but enjoyed a chilly afternoon inside in the tropical atmosphere of this resort!

Though we didn’t stay at this resort (we stayed nearby), we visited the gardens and loved every minute! This is a gorgeous and relaxing oasis in the middle of a big resort and huge city. We spent 2-3 hours exploring the Delta and Cascades sections. Gorgeous plants and water features.
We took the riverboat tour ($15.99 each, quite reasonable), which was most informative, and had pizza for lunch on a patio overlooking the Delta fountains. Pizza was great, and I can’t remember ever having lunch at a resort for only $15 each before!
I would highly recommend this stop for anyone seeking some peaceful beauty while visiting the nearby Grand Ole Opry. We parked at the nearby movieplex in the mall, which was free.

Beautiful property with exceptional service. Chelsea was fantastic at check-on, getting the room requested. So many things to do here. Live music, a wide range of restaurants from casual to pricey. Lots of walking and very spread out so decide what you want to be near. Atrium views with balcony are worth it! We requested a room near the live music. There are quieter areas as well. If you are there for a conference you may want to stay closer to conference hall. Would definitely stay here again!

Booked this room for what seemed to be a romantic getaway with my fiancé, but after checking in and entering we were quickly swarmed with a bunch of children! On the website you see pictures of nice, expensive restaurants that beam with class, nice waterfalls and a romantic flair. However, unless your just there to get drunk or take kids on a build your own doll and water boat tour with a bunch of people, then this is not as it seems. We ended up leaving for dinner and hardly even hung out. Mostly just drove around and went to the mall instead, save your money or spend it elsewhere! $500 for one night with the addition on one pizza to room and $40 valet.

Walked around the Gaylord Resort. Beautiful atriums and flowers. The “river” circling the facility is cool. Reminded me of the Riverwalk in San Antonio .. only on larger scale. The Gaylord offers an indoor Water Park. A short walk to Opryland and Mill (stores).

The grounds are beautiful, and they offer lots to do. They also have restaurants galore. But bring your wallet! Seems overpriced (reminds me of visiting Disney). If you are just visiting to see the place, do NOT park on their grounds unless you don't mind dishing out $32 for anything over 20 minutes to 24 hours. Opry Mills Mall is right next door with a walkway to the hotel grounds (park at the mall near the brick wall on the edge of Opryland). Opryland was very busy and crowded just after Christmas. The rooms were nice enough, but I actually liked the room where I stayed at Sheraton Music City better. (It was a much quieter hotel in spite of it being very full, the room was more spacious with more drawer space to unpack a suitcase.) If I return to Nashville, Opryland will not be my first choice. It's a nice place to visit, but I would stay elsewhere.

While we have gone to the ICE for years we were excited to see it come back.for 2022 after a 2 yr hiatus....HOWEVER....The tickets were sold in time blocks of 15 minutes I assumed it would be a controled number of people in each crowd....WRONG. The small space inside the acual exhibit was so crowded you could not turn around. IF YOU ARE SELLING THE TICKETS IN TIME BLOCKS, USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE AND MAKE IT A MORE PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE.

Clean hotel with lots to see, but certainly VERY big and easy to get lost. Rooms were great and what I would expect from Marriott. The food selection was not great and the food was certainly sub-par

Love this place. Great place to take the family. Wonderful decorating for holidays. Friendly staff and easy parking.

Beautiful place. Lot's of walking. Shops and restaurants. Went to the mall and spent hours there. It wasn't crowded. We were there during the week so it didn't seem as busy as the weekend.

The beer was warm and had turned. Plus, it was crazy expensive. The place is beautiful but there are better places to go/stay for far less.

We weren't sure what to expect, but boy, were we pleasantly surprised! This is an INDOOR must see. Flowers - trees - shrubs - waterfalls - restaurants - bars - a boat tour! So much fun and such a treat for the eyes.

This was a beautiful place to take a stroll around and enjoy a cup of coffee. Pleasant walk through gardens and there controlled atmosphere, beautiful waterfalls and even a riverboat. Word of advice DO NOT park in the front of this hotel. We payed $30, to find out we could have parked in the rear near the grand old Opry for free.

We didn’t stay here but we visited the gardens. They are beautiful. They have some of the tallest banana trees and palms I have ever seen. Everything looks so healthy and lush. The waterfalls and river. You can visit the atrium for free or take a boat ride on the river. It was well worth the time. A perfect way to spend a rainy day

This place is so awesome and big that you can spend hours here. It is so beautiful and clean out here.

I have wanted to visit the garden conservatory at Gaylord Opryland for some time. And in some ways they lived up to my expectations. The gardens comprise three separate indoor atriums which together are incredibly spatious. They include an impressive variety of tropical plants, some of which are spectacular. The delta atrium, the largest of them, has a river/lake that runs around the atrium. You can take a boat tour of the garden, although it didn't seem to be running the morning that I visited. The plants are generally well taken care of and in good health, although some of the orchids were poor condition as were a few other plants.
So if it's this nice, why do I only give it three stars? There are a few reasons. One, you never forget you're in a business establishment. A steady stream of hotel guests are coming and going, many of whom have no interest in the gardens. I guess that's fine, it pays for the facility after all. But it still detracts from the gardens. Second, almost none of the plants are labelled. This seems to me a missed opportunity to educate people about the amazing plants growing in the atria. I would have appreciated being able to identify some of the plants that I was not familiar with.
For me the bottom line is that these are impressive hotel atriums but as a botanical garden they fall a little short. I always ask myself, do I want to visit this place again? Was it worth my time? And here the answer is maybe. On a positive it is free if you park,at the Regal Cinemas end of the nearby Opry Mills Mall (it's only about an 8 minute walk). On the negative, it could be so much more.

We stopped at the Gaylord to be indoors on a chilly Feb day. Thought we would have lunch and stroll around the gardens. When we found the restaurants very busy we discovered there was an outdoor expo going on. Searched further and found a very pleasant latin restuarnt. Was a very nice find. We would like to visit again perhaps in the Christmas light decorating time of year.

Not being able to afford staying at the hotel, we stayed in walking distance and walked around for about 2 1/2 hours. There is so much to see, lots of restaurants, bars, a huge waterfall, shops, a river boat and more. Just plain fun.

This place is gorgeous! My husband and I had seen some posts online about the gardens so we thought it might be fun to stop by while we were waiting for our reservations on the nearby General Jackson Showboat.
We were not disappointed! I couldn’t believe how huge this place was and we spent a couple hours just wandering around taking it all in.
There are small restaurants and cafes scattered around, and some little shops as well.
They have all kinds of palm trees and greenery, waterfalls, you name it. There are lots of places to take a seat and enjoy the surroundings.
The gardens are surrounded by the balconies of those staying at the hotel, so they have an excellent view of the areas.
They have several different Gardens throughout the hotel, each one is unique and just as pretty as the last.
I would absolutely come back and I highly recommend checking it out when you’re in Nashville!

We had tickets to the Grand Ole Opry backstage and decided to stop here while we were in the area and I am so glad that we did.
The grounds are beautiful. We were there early so we grabbed a sweet treat at Cinnabon which is on the grounds.
There are many paths to enjoy the gardens while staying cool in a climate controlled atmosphere.
The walk to the Grand Ole Opry is quick and easy.

You can spend hours walking the trails inside the atrium. So much to see. Secret. Park behind the Opry and walk the trail to the entrance and save parking fees. Well worth the visit.

First time staying at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It is a beautiful place with plenty of dining and bar options. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Just a little too large and confusing to get around for me. There was also a youth dance competition the same weekend, so lots of young children running around.

We enjoy this beautiful place with gardens and decorations. We love to come each yr. This is for walkers so beware if you are weak or walking with a cane. There were lots of older people with canes the day I was there and I wondered how they would make the long walk. I am a strong walker. It’s a busy and beautiful place with benches to rest. You will get your walking in!

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with a much anticipated stay at this opulent resort. Although it is absolutely beautiful inside with some really nice features it really fell short on some of the little things that can make or break a stay. We had a room with a private balcony overlooking the Cascade Falls. Although the view was amazing the room was just mediocre. The bathroom is so small you have to step aside just to close the door. We thought about room service but honestly their isn't a surface large enough for a place setting. There are several restaurants but you can't get a reservation and the wait times were always at least an hour. We could walk to the mall eat and be back before we could get in. We took the Christmas Boat tour to find many strings of lights were out. The tour narrative was taped. The horse drawn carriage ride is through the parking lot. We did enjoy ICE and the tubing was fun. Your ticket for tubing allows as many rides as you can do in a day. So you can ride multiple times if you are willing to stand in line each time. There were multiple mobile stands available to purchase some tasty holiday adult beverages but it loses something when you purchase a "Merry Margarita" from a grump who can't muster a smile. All in all we probably should have stayed else where and visited some of the special events.

We have strolled around the hotel gardens twice now, once after breakfast and once after lunch. The common spaces of the hotel are incredibly clean and beautiful.(We did not stay overnight in a room there.) We marveled at the Christmas decorations which are abundant and charming. How ever did they place the ones in the Cascades American Cafe and lobby?

The boat ride was fun, walking the gardens was nice too. Its a good way to waste away an hour. try the gelato stand - it was very good!

Parking is expensive $32.00 to self park. I recommend parking at the Opey Mills Mall way at the back behind the Regal Cinemas. There's a whole big free parking lot. Then walk over to the Hotel.
The gardens and fountains are wonderful. They are very handicap friendly. Actually it was stunning.

We stayed for Thanksgiving 2020. The hotel is nice and is all inside so the weather is never an issue.

I went to Opryland for Christmas, and wow. It was truly something. The colors, the light shows, the vendors. It was all amazing. It was like being inside a Hallmark movie. Vendors were giving out hot chocolate and selling treats. Some of the food and treats were overpriced, which was expected. There were lots of kids so I would suggest going on a weekday. But the glass ceiling made it so exciting, especially when it started snowing later. The biggest perk is that its free!

We didn't stay here but came to explore. Gorgeous, huge Vegas style hotel with a lot to see. Worth a visit.

We love staying here! The hotel is amazing and offers soooo much! Great rooms, great restaurants, and great location. The sound waves watermark is a miss though in our opinion. It is laid out poorly, making it difficult to navigate and get to food, bathrooms, or even the slides easily. The slides are fine, but not great. Sound waves is fine for an add on if you have nothing planned for the day. Otherwise, save your money and enjoy the other pools and use your $ to go to a good water park.

Great venue for the ice show. Cold but worth it. Our friend broke their ankle on the slide. The staff were absolutely amazing. Helpful and comforting....

This was my fourth Convention stay at Gaylord Opryland Resort. It is a beautiful hotel/resort. Hard to believe that it is all under one roof. Lots of things to see and do there. Lots of good resturants, make reservations in advance or plan to eat early to beat the crowds. The reason for a 4 instead of 5 is that it is very challenging to find your room and finding different locations. Lots of walking! Yes they have maps... but still confusing. Also, checking in is usually a long wait.

Park at Opry Mills and walk over to see the hotel. Parking there is 35 a day. The atrium is worth seeing though. It’s beautiful. Worth doing once.

Very nice visit to the gardens and atriums of the resort. Some of my family had not been here before and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

They do not take cash payments for anything! Upon exiting the ice show they have a gift shop and they do not take cash! Very disappointing for children in the beta club that only brought cash!

You can get lost in this place fast … you have to download their map just to figure out how to find your way. It’s a beautiful place that was slightly decorated for Halloween. The last time we were there was 25 yrs ago, so we enjoyed the garden. You will see lots of people staring at their phones as they try to navigate this multi-level garden/restaurant area.

The views were amazing. A lot of photo ops. Very pretty inside. If you get a chance to visit take it.

Great lazy river and food, esp honey flavored wings. Flowrider experience was disappointing because the long wait and the entire ride may stop for many minutesvso that lifeguards could put waiver band on those in the line. Having a separate staff may help with this. Some people also lost ring abd other valuables bc they didn't require people to remove them. The waterpark inside lacked hot tub and I feel that at least adult only pool could be hot. Would love to come back and see changes

You must check out the gardens and take a boat ride through. Also check out the indoor water park. We went at Christmas time and the decorations were beautiful!

I Love this Place. Was on my bucket list to return and stay in a room with a balcony view of the gardens. Came here for my 50th birthday and have no regrets. Come prepared to spend money. For the cost of the rooms you would think wi-fi is included but its added as a resort fee, $20 per day and parking is a little pricey to me. Just not use to all the extra fees. Definitely a must do Hotel at least once. Very friendly staff, love the sounds of the water falls, and the music at night. Due to covid no shuttle service anywhere and lots of stores closed while we were there in mid April. Even the water park closed for several days while we were there. So make sure you call ahead to check closure of activities and restaurants. Bring your camera, lots of photographic spots.

Venue is very pretty but dining here is a diaster! Expect to wait hours in line. Only one of the restaurants takes reservations, all the rest are first come, first serve & so understaffed. Just waited an hour and a half to be seated for dinner.

Very cool experience. I had a great time. Good music. Very friendly nd helpful staff, Fun music. great place to see.

First off, do not pay to park here! Find your way to the parking lot for the movie theater at the Opry Mills Mall. Look for all the vehicles parked at the back of the lot. Park there and then walk toward the resort. You'll pass the convention center facilities and then there will be a circular driveway area with an entrace to the resort. That brings you into the Delta Atrium. We stopped here for an hour or so on a very hot afternoon. We enjoyed the indoor gardens and meandering paths. There are shops and restaurants too. It was surprisingly not crowded so it made for a good stop.

Several of the restaurants we wanted to eat at were closed. Also, made reservations at Old Hickory Steakhouse a month before our arrival. Arrived 30 minutes before our reservation, had drinks at bar, left after we were not seated 30 minutes after our reservation. Terrible restaurant management!!! We saw people eat at bar, walk up reservations sat before us, I will probably never return!

We didn’t stay here, but at the urging of my friend, we spent an afternoon here. It’s like being in a tropical resort. Everything is under a glass-domed roof, there are fountains, waterfalls and tropical plants everywhere. There’s even a river where you can take a boat ride (which we did). We had lunch at the Waterfall restaurant, and it was excellent. Well worth seeing!

Expect to pay $35/day for parking. Resort rivals Disneyland for scenery and atmosphere. Dining galore. Water activities to thrill the kids. A very impressive resort.

What a neat place! We didn't stay at the hotel, but we stopped by to walk through everything. It is so pretty! It's amazing how they built this. Beautiful gardens, cute little shops, and restaurants you could eat on the patio and enjoy the view. Definitely worth seeing!

What an amazing hotel with history to share. It was wonderful to take the boat ride and hear the history. Shop, go for dinner, explore, or just sit and take in all the beautiful plants and waterfalls. Excellent place

Had 3 nights stay and what a place ,rooms, food , staff and attractions all 5 star the place to stay in Nashville push the boat out/and visit

This place purposely obscures their pricing information in order to gouge customers. Beware Soundwaves. If you are a nashville local, beware bad information on the website and a very unhelpful reservations team who mislead me into spending way more money than needed when I tried to book day passes and a cabana for a family event. Signage is also terrible at the facility and everything is priced outrageously. What was supposed to be a family event just under $1000 turned into a $2000 sinkhole. It doesn’t matter how nice or clean or fun this is. Avoid this place if you value your pocketbooks.

A must see in Nashville - was beautiful at Christmas time! We did as a day trip, but would love to stay there. A very unique hotel. Park at the Opry Mills for free - it is an easy walk.

Just walking through the hotel and seeing all of the features it has to offer is worth the trip. The attractions and the restaurants offer a wide variety of options. You have to see it to fully appreciate the Opry land Hotel.

What a gem! This is a beautiful place to visit and we spent a whole afternoon here. The Christmas decorations were up so it was even more magical. Great restaurants as well. Don’t miss this great spot!

This place is an awesome site. Several great spots for taking photos. Seem like it would be a great place to hold something like a wedding reception. If any staff member notice that you seemed lost or had a question-look, they would approach you and ask if they could help you. I am really pleased that we added this stop to our sites while exploring Nashville.
Only negative, parking was a bit too pricey. It makes it feel like you were really paying for the "free tour of the conservatory."

Stunning hotel! Amazing gardens, and lovely scenery. The flowers and plants are awesome!!! Highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We really liked Vegas style atriumsand everything in here. There are Uber drivers who know the place. If you come here in your own car, parking is a nightmare and confusing.

Upon check in, I felt like I was on my own. I had to find info on transportation and I thought I purchased the stay with breakfast only to find out I didn't upon the second trip to the front desk. For the amount paid to stay at this hotel, I was expecting more. It was also very crowded. The upsides were the shuttle drivers were very nice and full of information. The restaurants we visited Jack Daniels twice, 4 stars. The Calypso was 3 stars at best and very overpriced. The room and bed was clean and comfortable, the grounds were astonishing, but again for the price, this lacked the personalization I was expecting. Maybe I'm old but getting all your information from a television in your room is what I would expect at Disneyworld, and even there, they do provide a fountain of information upon your arrival. The hotel is beautiful, while everyone we spoke to was pleasant, no one with the exception of the shuttle drivers offered anything but what was required.

This is a very unique attraction to check out because it is a hotel connected with a garden conservatory! It was very peaceful to walk around and see the conservatory and waterfalls but very easy to get lost. We were able to park for free in the visitor lot, which only allows you 1 hour to enjoy the conservatory, but that was more than enough time. We only spent about 40 minutes inside. There are restaurants, bathrooms, a convention center, and a gift shop available to the general public to use and check out when visiting. This attraction is probably only a one-time visit for most people.

Beautiful! Looking forward to a as future trip there. Great place for family. Water Park, arcades, and gardens

This place is amazing.. The gardens are so beautiful you won't believe your eyes.. Trees and flowers all under a glass dome.. Don't miss it.. The hotel is so big we got lost, but had a great time

We visited during the Christmas holiday season so there were lots of beautiful decorations to enjoy!

Get a good map and keep track of where you go in and out. Found myself walking around the outside of the hotel since I left through the wrong door. Nice spots for lunch, did not try the dinners. Good selection of beer and wine. Free parking takes a good walk but there is some near the Opryland Events Center so that may be a good choice. Do wear warm clothing during cold snaps since the atrium and conference center do get chilly.

rooms were clean on the smaller side. grounds are absolutely beautiful. pool is small. sound waves was a ton of fun. staff does a great job cleaning everything! now to the average rating the hotel restaurants are pretty much all closed there was one open jack daniels which we waited for over an hour . breakfast was tricky people had to wait in line for over an hour for coffee because everything is closed and even starbucks . i didn’t mind wearing the masks but it should be enforced for everyone. overall we had a had a good time just a little disappointed but this place would be a completely different experience once everything is open.

Talk about GRAND! Lost for words, really. It's huge, hello 10k steps!! So many to see and yet so little time, I will be back in the near future. If you want a Christmas experience, you don't have to travel to Austria or Germany, this is your Christmas market

Everything has been amazing, after a small hiccup with our luggage at the hotel.
All of the great service from our bellman Cory Lavine who went out of his way to show us that we are valued customers. Things just keep getting better. Thank you Cory for the birthday card.
The boat tour was very informative and all of the kids both big and small enjoyed it.
The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. See Mimi at the front desk for great service with a big smile.
I would like to thank everyone at the hotel for making my 50th and my fathers 75th birthdays amazing.

Had pleasure in staying here all weekend. I will be returning soon. Also had the pleasure in meeting a staff member named Corey. Said he had been there over 20 years. He definitely knows his hotel. This place is beyond beautiful. I wonderful way to spend the weekend.

took the boat ride and learned so much. Outstanding feeling of grandeur while visiting. Ate at Fuse and it was super good.

On what started on Thanksgiving Day in 1977 as a hotel with 500 rooms has evolved thru multiple expansions to 3,000 rooms, exquisite indoor gardens, a convention center and a water park on over 9 acres. The 3 large atriums contain over 50,000 plants as well as an indoor river with guided boat tours of the resort. It is like a small indoor city with many distinct areas, lodging and atmosphere, including 18 restaurants, 5 bars with gift shop and shopping. There is even a resident ghost, "The Lady In Black", Mary McGavock, whose family (Two Rivers Mansion) originally owned the land from the early 1800's.
If there is a negative it is the $35 parking charge but that can be avoided by parking across from the Grand Ole Opry and AMC theaters in the Opry Mall and walking the path over. This place is incredible and would be enjoyed by all.

This was a combo of Grand ole Opry and Opryland Hotel. A short walk from the GOO, there are so many things to do, places to shop and eat. Beautiful ground, gardens and architecture make this a must see attraction when in Nashville.
We spent the afternoon at one of the local bar/dining areas, shopped and took in the amazing plantings and fountains. Great decorations out for Halloween.

Has many different types on vegetation and water vegetation. They have numerous restaurants that let you enjoy the view. Highly recommend to spend some time here

Beautiful landscape, lots of variety, city within a City, several Different levels. Expensive food! $35 just to park is high!

We were only in town for the afternoon/night and I wanted to go see the gardens. Couldn't go in without paying $ 32.00 to park. I am sure once in, we would have bought merchandise and ate something. Years ago, they never charged. I looked like a drunk person driving, every place I thought I could go, you had to pay, so I kept driving until I ended up driving all around the whole area to get out. Sad.

This was a little sclice of heaven in a concrete jungle! It is Soo beautiful with greenery and beautiful hanging lights! It’s so relaxing! Went for cocktails than sat for dinner which was so enjoyable because of the setting! Than we polished off the night at the grand ole opera! Great night!

Have been to the Gaylord now a few times for conferences. They have come out of Covid quite successfully and are offering almost all the services again they had previously.
This is not a cheap location and not central to Nashville (but very close to Opry and mall). The inside of the hotel is opulent and massive. There are huge areas of greenery and even a river within the atrium. No reason to even step outside (but why travel to Nashville to not see the area???)
Most of our food was provided by the event. Rooms and services were as expected for a 5 star location.
I would not go here again out of choice - it’s not really my type of resort (location and price point), but for a business conference it is perfect

The gardens are not an experience to be missed. All of the areas were interesting in the variety of plant life along with the many paths to travel. There are many restaurants and the views are spectacular.

What a beautiful hotel. This please is massive. Was there for the Christmas lights and I love movies show. The light are just breath taking in each section of the hotel and outside. Great service and rooms. Could listen to the water fall from our room that overlooked the atrium. Great places to eat inside the hotel. Recommend this to anyone and get a room overlooking the atrium.

Every year we schedule to go to Opryland and walk around the hotel and look at all the pretty lights and just walk and talk and visit with each other take lots of pictures enjoy your family dinner together. It’s always amazing and always a treat, so beautiful!

Hotel is amazing & we feel very safe with their protocols & requirement of masks in public spaces. Soundwaves is another story. Their management company, Jeff Ellis Mgmt, seems to have no regard for the safety of guests or following through on their own policies. Masks are basically non-existent, except on staffers. We spent the extra money to come here because of the Gaylord’s safety recognition & protocols, but am now realizing this doesn’t not apply to Soundwaves water park. Everyone who buys tickets to Soundwaves agrees to their policy that clearly state masks are required when not eating or engaging in water activities. (This is doable; I’ve seen it enforced at other indoor pools successfully.) Staff at the entrance told us masks are required on the pool deck, when walking to the restroom, etc. There are also signs stating this. However, once you walk in the door, NO ONE is actually wearing them & the place is packed! Many, many people are sitting around on chairs, never stepping toe in the wafer, & there is no reason why they can’t wear masks. The snack bar had a long line of unmasked people as well. There are no staff walking around issuing reminders as there are in the hotel, which is exactly why no one is following the rules (except for a handful of us). I was told there would be safety announcements; there were not. I do not feel my family is safe at Soundwaves whatsoever & do not recommend spending the $$$$ to come here if you are concerned about your health.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but did tour for a day trip. The Christmas decorations and garden are beautiful! It's amazing how much goes into this resort.
We took the boat tour through the "river" and enjoyed hearing about the decorations, etc.

I am writing this while still a guest at the hotel.
I am so very disappointed in my stay this far and I'm not really expecting it to improve.
I am sure this review is a waste of time for such a large, established hotel, but here goes anyway.
Have been looking forward to visiting Nashville and staying at this hotel.
Upon check in we were given a room and told "you'll really enjoy it, it's one of our best rooms". Well we walked in and the view we had was a wall with a few palm trees....we had requested an atrium room. If this was one of the best.. What were the others like! I was not happy so called the front desk, spoke my piece and they relocated us to anther area. Walked in and I am pretty sure this room was worse than the first....we were in a corner with views of the atrium to one side and a wall and steel girders to the other. So I walked down to the registration desk... With bags in tow and very nicely explained that if I wasn't put in a more suitable room that I would be checking out. This hotel is far from inexpensive and I deserve to be happy.
Third room was (is) great...atrium, overlooks the Delta river, fountains, allot more lively.
Ok...room solved.
The brag about their mobile app. Well... Nothing works on it. Supposed to have a mobile key.. Nope... Never got it.
First day we go out for the day, come back.. Room never made up. Called and they said 1). We had the do not disturb sign out for even have one! 2). They have until 6 to clean. It was 5:45.
Second day we made sure to call to tell them to clean room. T it was done. Third day not made up again.m.. Had to call...fourth day - yay! Made up when we returned.
Just got back to room now... Yup.. You guessed it - not made up. Friggin give up.
Went to the pool the second day...be aware the pool shown on the website isn't the actual "regular" pool.. It's the upgraded pool at the water park. There were no clean towels. But...I thought to go to the indoor pool and found some. Bar not open at the pool.. So couldn't even get water.
Impossible to get into a restaurant - either the waits are excruciating or there is no availability.
And finally and the icing on the cake is that there happens to be a convention going on...a Christian music awards thing.
Alas, I am here with my partner - yes, it's true ,- a gay couple.. And we have experienced three defamitory slurs against us while walking or sitting here at the resort. It's horrible.
If I had the strength to pack up I would leave but I don't so we're staying. Two more days to go. A hotel I couldn't wait to come to and now I can't wait to leave.
It's just all in all a VERY disappointing stay.
Not recommended for the price you'll pay.
Definitely not recommended if you're off any minority either.

We attended an event at the Opryland convention Center, so we strolled through the Delta Portico atrium. The glass atrium are light and airy, and the lush gardens with water features are relaxing. There are shops and eateries to visit, or you can just sit and people watch. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Beautiful hotel with lots of inside greenery and water features. Great convention hotel. Check in was fast. Check out no so much. Good restaurants. Bed was comfortable and decor fine. Very small closet space. Housekeeping cleaned my room while I was out even though I had called and told them not to and had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door.

Stopped for the day we did the Boat ride and ate at Fuse nothing was open due to Covid.. Hotel is Absolutely Beautiful inside very clean and everyone is very nice. We walked around shopped at the shops and enjoyed the scenery .

We toured the Gaylord Resort Garden on a Thursday morning and were very impressed! The indoor gardens are as advertised and include several waterfalls and many unique and beautiful arrangements. We are going back when we have kore time.

If you are out at the Ole Opry you must go here. The gardens are lush and cheerful. The waterfalls are awesome. The fountains with their light and music shows are cool to watch. The boat trip is good fun, pricey but honestly worth it. There are tons of restaurants and shops. A good time for all.

Stayed at Gaylord Opryland MANY times over the years and this is by far the worst I have ever seen it. Leaks showing in the ceilings in the hallway, lights in hallway broken on their mount, food was already high, now it’s just plain insanely high, think inflation and then double it. Asked for a noon checkin being a Bonvoy member and arrived at 130. Was told it would be 1-2 hours. No worries, check in isn’t until 4 anyway. 6pm I got a call the room was ready and they would be activating my mobile key. Waited 10 minutes, nothing. I used the app to chat with the desk, and they said I wasn’t doing it right. I’ve stayed here numerous times, I know how the mobile app works. I called and spoke with someone and they said the mobile key app was having issues. I went all the way to the other side of the hotel to get a key, for the third time. Got back and checked in. Room was hot and fridge wasn’t working. Finally got it cooled down and the fridge working. After a long day it was bedtime. Walls are VERY thing and can HEAR everything, things you don’t want to hear. Finally some sleep on the beds that are like plywood, horrible pillows. Wake up to start the day, time for a shower, the tub wouldn’t drain. Another mark against this stay. Left the hotel to do some sightseeing. We couldn’t leave the parking lot. Our key wouldn’t open the gate. Had to make a call to get the gate opened. Then came back in later in the day and couldn’t use the room card to get in. Went to the front desk and shared about our issues and the gentleman said we weren’t given a full access room key, and there wasn’t an issue with the mobile app and after looking he saw an issue with ours and reset it and it worked. No apology or attempt to address our very negative issues to this point. Floors in hallways and elevator doesn’t appear to have been swept or vacuumed since before COVID. Did I mention all of this happened in the first day and we have 5 more to go? How about instead of taking peoples money and giving no value, reduce your capacity to operate and provide the safe Gaylord experience we have come to expect over the years. Needs to be some house cleaning done and that includes many management offices. Nothing but POOR leadership and would definitely benefit Marriott to make a few unannounced visits. Come on Marriott, you’re better than this….even Motel 6 is better than this.

The last time I visited it was for a weeklong convention with Sherwin-Williams back in 1988. Other than meetings and award presentations, we only got to see The Mandrell Sisters at The Grand Ole Opry.
This time we drove over from our timeshare a half mile away, and parked in a lot that had a broken exit gate so we avoided the $35 parking fee.
I was already having a good time.
We went in to the convention center, worked our way around the multiple atriums, found the waterpark and the arcade and visited Pisano's Restaurant and Carvel's sundae shop for dessert.
We phoned home for the third time during our mid afternoon visit.
There were lots of families excitedly discovering the amenities, and riding the boat through the river paths. I was intrigued by the fact that they used water from 1700 different sources to fill the waterway for it's installation way back when. The plaques explain which ones were used in each state, so it was fun finding our waterways from back home.
I had to drag Jaclyn away so we could make our show at the Ryman Auditorium.

This place was beautiful. Next time we come to Nashville I will definitely be staying here. The atrium was just spectacular. It was like a city inside a beautiful city. The parking was a little on the pricey side ($34.00 + tax).

This is a review of the gardens/indoor area of the resort only. We did not stay overnight. We had a few hours to spend between our Opry tour and dinner reservations, so we wandered around the resort for a bit.
The gardens are beautiful and much larger than we anticipated. It's a great way place to spend time if it's raining or hot outside. If you enjoy botanical gardens or elaborate, Vegas style atriums, you will like this place. Visiting during Covid, we didn't encounter any crowds and very little noise. All the water features were turned on and the waterfalls and fountains were my favorite part of the displays, there is such a beautiful variety. The dancing fountain was quite entertaining. Here is what I wish I had known before I visited:
Not all restaurants are currently open, so check first if you have your heart set on a particular one. Like any resort, prices for ice cream, souvenirs etc. are expensive. The water park is actually open (as of the first week in July) but you need an armband to enter, so you can either be a guest or buy a day pass. The boat rides are also working and the track looks longer than the gondola ride at the Venetian in Las Vegas. There is an additional charge for the boat ride. I would recommend looking at a map of the resort before you go or when you first arrive (they are scattered around in all areas of the resort) to have an overview of the layout, it can be confusing. Be prepared that some areas may be closed off for private events (we saw a wedding from a story above) But most importantly: If you are a casual visitor and wish to avoid the parking fee, here is what to do. Park in the Opry Mills mall parking lot in front of the movie theatre. That's towards the back of the mall when entering from the freeway. Turn your back to the mall. Head straight for a white picket fence and a brick building that says "Gaylord Events center" Go through a gap in the fence, the parking lot and walk along the left side of the event center headed towards the resort. After you passed the event center, you will reach a covered walkway with a green canopy. At the exit of the walkway, head straight across the street to the side door slightly on your right. You will enter the resort in the Delta section. DO NOT use the other covered walkway that leads from the left of the Grand Old Opry to the Opry parking lot. You can get to the resort that way, but it's much further (we learned that by own experience walking in the rain)

What a pleasure to stroll alongside the indoor river and beautiful lights, Then to sit after a long day and enjoy the dancing water show at 6:00. Very embracing and fun for all ages.

A great place to walk around. Scenery is awesome. The plants, the lighting, waterfall, etc if definitely worth bringing the kids and taking pictures.

Been to this place several times many years ago and it was easy to get around. However, with the holiday crush and crowd it was difficult to get ones bearings as to where you parked, where’s your room, and what’s available. Their app is basically worthless. Hard to use and not very useful in getting locations and finding things. For the size of this place, better parking signage, lighting and greater accommodating kiosks are needed. Rooms and service is ok, prices for food and gifts are overpriced but you expect that at a resort. One hint: use the temporary parking (free up to one hr, then $38) to checkin and pickup luggage. This is a lifesaver on holidays and when the place is packed. Parking is $32/day for self parking but you could be a long ways from your rm. Valet is $40 but does fill up on busy days. Overall, a great place for families but very crowded on holidays. I would go back but not during holidays.

Extremely disappointed with the management of the hotel. Complaints listed below should not exist at this price point:
1. At 9:20pm we called requesting toilet paper and tissues as we were getting ready for bed. At 11:45pm (after 5 phone calls) we received our delivery.
2. Someone dropped some sugar packets in front of the elevator and they remained there the last two days of our stay and were still there to walk through as we checked out.
3. Frosty’s Pub had cafeteria grade food at restaurant prices.
The standard reply of Tim S. saying he's sorry and he'll reach out to you, he already has and his level of concern is unacceptable.

Beautiful to walk through and just enjoy the scenery, kind of hard to know where going if not a guest of hotel.

You would have to go a long way to find gardens as good as these anywhere but when you consider that they are inside a hotel, then that is a real "Wow" factor. You can wander round and you can even take a boat ride on the 'indoor' river. Now, that must be a first for anyone. And when you have finished walking around, there are refreshment outlets on Delta Island.

We spent two days at the resort as part of the family Christmas vacation. The gardens are amazing there are tropical plants of all kinds it’s like a jungle. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Highly recommend coming through the hotel to do the gardens even if you are not staying as a guest. In fact we did visit the gardens during the trip during the summer which is what prompted the plans for the holiday vacation.

This display of Christmas lights is not to be missed. If you are traveling to Nashville it is worth the trip to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel to see the magnificent light display and to walk around the hotel gardens. this will truly put you in the Christmas Spirit.

Enter the resort at the main door and step into another world. the blown glass centerpiece under the stained glass ceiling is just the start of the wonders. Walk into the atrium and be surrounded by plants of all sizes. It was cool outside and walking in this tropical garden was amazing. Continue through, then find yourself in the Delta section filled with more plants and fountains. There is even a river with a boat ride. As we were there in October there were several fall and Halloween displays for kids of all ages. This is not a place to visit, it is a destination. When we were there, the workers were starting to put up Christmas lights. Of course, we had to return for an evening just to see how far they had gotten with the display. We were so glad we did as we were also in time to see a fountain show. The water is coordinated with music and color and was very entertaining.

Just walked around. Very beautiful. We walked a ways to get there as parking was 32 dollars. Really?

Not worth money. Charged everyday $32 for parking and a $20 resort fee. Never had clean towels delivered or replaced in the four nights we were there. We put them out for service to pick up but no replacement. Had to take out our own trash. Resort is beautiful but couldn’t get into a restaurant without 1.5 hr wait times. Everything closes at 10 pm. Got in at 9:30. Tried room service and waited 15 min on hold and gave up. Drove somewhere else to get a bite to eat. Only plus was beds were comfortable and room was clean on arrival. Front desk staff was friendly.

Loved the Ice Sculpture show. The hotel was beautiful and lots to do. I loved listening to the water falls.

Just beautiful gardens in this resort! Plenty to look at and a few spots to get an expensive bite to eat.
just an FYI -park at the mall nextdoor -no charge for parking.

Stayed one night and was very dissapointed at the level of service and attitude of the staff. Early checkin via phone did not work, mixed up room assignments at check-in, valet texting for car readiness did not work, majority of staff not helpful or friendly. Only a few restaurants open which is understandable with low occupancy rates yet they still charge the full resort fee and exorbitant parking rates.

We had 5 hours between the General Jackson Showboat & seeing the show at the Grand Ole Opry. Walking around in these beautiful spaces made the time fly by. I wish we could come back for Christmas.

What an interesting and surprising visit we had here. We decided to stop here before our General Jackson dinner cruise and are so happy we did. Just a beautiful place to wander and take in everything that has been so wonderfully well taken care of. It's a shame that so many of the shops and restaurants were closed (I assume due to staffing shortages), but it was still a lovely visit. Also a great place to stop before you see a show at the Opry.

The indoor gardens decorated for Christmas was absolutely stunning. We also took the Christmas outdoor horse-drawn carriage ride that was amazing. Our driver was friendly and the music and lights were wonderful. There were even old time carolers outside singing as we ended our ride. I would highly recommend this. The only negative thing about the Gaylord was the price of parking. We didn’t expect to pay $35-40 just to park.

The atrium that is attached to the Opryland Hotel is a must see! With all the Christmas decorations it was incredible.!

Like others, I parked near the Imax theater at the mall to avoid the excessive parking charges. The gardens were simply amazing and I'm glad I saw them, but I would have really liked to park a little closer. Perhaps the hotel could waive the parking fee if you enjoy a meal at the hotel, or institute an hourly fee for those that just want to explore.

Absolutely mindblowing place! Incredible decor and an enormous hotel. Excellent service. Great variety of restaurants/bars. You never have to leave the facility

What an incredible place to explore. It free to access but would you do pay to park which was steep. The conservatory and surrounding gardens thru the whole resort are beautiful. I would highly recommend this place and do the boat ride as well!

I found the garden conservatory to be quite beautiful. The hotel itself feels like you’re visiting a resort with all the shops, restaurants on site and bars. It’s free to the public to get in so I’m so glad I came!

Make this your rainy day , its covered and breathtaking, we did take the gondala ride , was very informative. WE also saw a Disney movie for free, and at cocktail hour was entertained by a rather good picker...Most enjoyable day all week!

My husband and I visited years ago in the spring but I have always wanted to go back for Christmas. While I did expect more lights, I still left very happy. The highlight was seeing the fountain light show! The fountain itself is beautiful but when you add the Christmas hymns and reading of Luke 2 it was very powerful!

The gardens were simply exquisite, the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had a double queen room with an inside balcony in the Cascade section. Fantastic!! Will do this again!

We were so impressed with this resort! Everything anyone could want even during COVID! Live music, Amazing food options! Beautiful Ambiance! Every employee we have interacted with has made our stay the best ever!

Beautiful scenery and great atmosphere. Our family had a great time and made some special memories. Definitely a must see

I love walking the grounds here just to escape from everyday life. During the summer months, they even make it a little humid for the plants and it makes it more realistic as if you are walking outside. It is just stunning with the greenery, the waterfall, the fountains. You don’t have to be a guest to enjoy this place. Just go and plan to spend some time here slowly walking around.

What a beautiful place. Very peaceful and the landscaping is a site to see. Absolutely stunning!!! The restaurants looked very inviting, but for us, we were not hungry. The lobby was beyond beautiful!!!

We went at Thanksgiving. We didn’t do any extras, just walked around. It was beautiful and we had a blast! We did get lost a lot, so definitely leave bread crumbs or carry a map!

It was the most amazing thing in Nashville and beautiful place to go and would 100% recommend to go to.

Not very good. Holes in the pillow cases, towels stiff- over bleached and worn down to holes. Stains on towels and bed linen. I stepped on a piece of glass first night in the room that punctured the bottom of my foot and made it bleed. I called for the room to be vacuumed the following day. Debris on the floor still present after it was vacuumed.

We desperately wanted to see the much hyped Gaylord during our stay in December and it's Christmas glory but were sadly unable to. Unless you are a guest in the hotel or have tickets to an event, you can't even park or get into the property to walk around, have a drink or dine in. We drove around the property trying to park for almost an hour without any luck. The website mentioned valet parking for $35 but the line for that was very long and no available self parking (which would have been $25 if we could have found a parking spot). Seems counterintuitive to discourage patrons from coming in that would spend money on food and beverage. Such a disappointment. especially with all the hype about seeing the decorations. If you plan to go, make a dinner reservation ahead of time or purchase tickets to another event and be prepared to wait in long valet lines and pay $35 just to park. I recommend finding a place nearby, parking your car and walking onto the grounds if you don't have tickets or dinner reservations.

Ok, I admit it: we weren't guests of the hotel. We wanted to gawk at the Christmas decorations and have dinner. I had seen the extravagant decorations a couple of times before, but was just a tad disappointed this time. I don't know if we missed some areas or if some areas (like the conservatory) just weren't quite as lavishly decorated as in previous years. We enjoyed the beautiful hotel atriums and decorations which is good because we paid handsomely to park in the hotel parking lot.

This is the most beautiful, awesome organic place to visit in Nashville. As soon as you come into the cascade area, you hear waterfalls, you see beautiful greenery, and a little river. Many places to eat or just hang out and enjoy all this in a climate controlled dome - 72 degrees. Ride the Delta River Boat, go shopping, sit and have a coffee. There are things for kids and things for adults.

Had been given SoundWaves as a Christmas gift for the whole family (15). Am mobility challenged using a walker / cane and was told by one of my family member who has forensic there before me the closest parking was all the way over at Cascades. Too far go limp all the way to SoundWaves. Pulled in Cascades portico and was told the handicapped parking was in the self parking area to the right. Attempted to pull in and the ticket machine was not working, tried to use the telephone on the ticket machine and it would not work, so tried to pull out and try the other lane. In doing so, trying to back up in the narrow lane I ended up running into the yellow support pole doing damage to my car.
Decided that Opryland Gaylord Hotel is not set up for handicapped individuals like me. Before my unfortunate accident, I was already going to have to pay $33.00 for self parking in a handicapped space and another $50.00 to rent a scooter just to get all the across the hotel campus to enjoy SoundWaves with my family. Something I has really looked forward to. Now I am faced with hundreds of dollars of auto repair work fo replace a taillight and fix the rear bumper on my car. I just said forget it. My supposed to be fun family experience at SoundWaves has already costs or will cost me hundreds of dollars and then add on another minimum of almost 100.00 just to park and get there ? No Thanks.
Gaylor Opryland Hotel could take a lesson from The Cloister in Sea Island, where I stayed just before Thanksgiving. The staff there was so accommodating. One simple call to the front desk and someone would meet you and pick you up in a
golf cart at the closest place to your room drive you to the front check in area to get your car or take you to the beach club. The attention and service for someone who is mobility challenged made my stay extraordinarily enjoyable. Would go there again. Gaylord Opryland Hotel ? I won’t drive from Green Hills.

The gardens are exquisite, it is totally free even if you are not a guest at the hotel, you do have to pay $35 for parking, but you can have lunch or dinner while you are there. There is like 3 main areas to see and they are all absolutely gorgeous!

It's got just about everything you need in one location.... Everything is a bit pricey and if there is a large convention going on you have to plan where you eat at the site - but you can Uber to Downtown and eat at great places there.... The interior spaces are amazing!

This is our second time visiting this Gaylord hotel. The hotel and indoor gardens is very beautiful. The Christmas Lights are amazing. But at this point everyone knows this so it is always super crowded. The walkways around the garden can be very crowded so at times it is hard to enjoy all the scenery. It is a very popular destination so if you don't mind crowds, it is worth a visit.

There are no words to describe staying here. It is a world unto itself. Plenty to do for everyone. There is an array of restaurants, shops, and activities for the whole family.

Wonderful place to visit and enjoy the nature ,Christmas lights
Environment is amazing
Close to the outlet mall

If you can't afford to stay overnight, take the time to at least visit and have a meal! It is beyond worth it!! Flat Bottom boat ride, a meal and and ice cream cone made for a perfect afternoon! GORGEOUS!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gaylord Opryland. Very clean throughout resort. It is a short drive to downtown Nashville too. Waterpark was nice, although they could do a better job to make better social distancing while waiting in line. We rented a cabana for extra private space even though we had an unpleasant experience with our waiter, the Waterpark was a great time for our 8 year old. Not all restaurants were open during the week which was a bummer but we understood due to covid restrictions. Upgraded to a suite with parlor and it was nice and spacious.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was excellent. Thought it to be a little overpriced but expected at a resort. Many amenities still closed, which is understandable given the COVID pandemic. Main disappointment was re Goblins and Giggles. My family stayed for that reason. There was only one costumed character, a pumpkin, around the entire weekend and only briefly (approx 1hr). Trick or treat cost $10/person but was disappointing. It involved stopping by 4-5 stores / section area and being given a handful of candy without any additional costume, surprise or theater involved. The scavenger hunt simply involved finding a pumpkin sticker on a wall and nothing more. The light show was pretty good but only lasted 7 minutes. My toddler enjoyed the resort but had little interest in the Halloween activities. I’ll likely return for the hotel experience, but not for Goblins and Giggles.

After reading several reviews about the high cost of parking, we decided to park in front of the AMC theater and walk over. It only took about 10 minutes and was a nice walk. If you are able and want to save money, give it a try.
We highly recommend taking the narrated boat ride to get the full picture of the resort. We probably spent another hour and a half walking around.
Next time, we plan to stay there to take full advantage of the whole resort.

Great, free place to visit. Wonderful photo ops in front of beautiful foliage. Variety of food venues.

Gorgeous hotel! Awesome river ride! Fun to just walk around and look at everything. Jack Daniel’s restaurant is awesome.
— Ross Senack

I love walking through the gardens at Opryland. It is my favorite botanical garden because there are no pesky bugs around. They also have an amazing variety of plants that you would normally see in this region. Love the tropical plants, palm trees, and banana plants. The views are breathtaking not just of the trees but also the lovely waterfalls throughout the hotel.

Attending a national conference and what a lovely place to stay. With 7000 attendees, even this massive conference space can be crowded at times. But the grounds are really lovely.
We especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Delta, which was also relatively close to the convention center.

Beautiful place to spend Christmas. The entire hotel had lots of Christmas lights and decorations. My favorite are to explore was the Delta. My second favorite was the Cascade then followed by Magnolia. Went to see I love movies. The light are just breath taking in each section of the hotel and outside. Recommend this to anyone

This location is prime. Once here you do not need to leave. You will get your exercise and enjoy every moment enjoying the surroundings. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Downtown is about 15 min drive.

Boo on cashless! Not a good idea for SO many reasons! If it weren’t for business I wouldn’t stay again. Nice enough but the cashless system is a deal-breaker!

We spent three days here and we’re very impressed. So much to see and you would not even need to leave the property unless you wanted to go see downtown. Many restaurants and I had some excellent gelato tonight. Plants around here are amazing. We took the boat tour around the garden and felt it was worth it.

Charming oasis in the middle of the hotel. I could sit there for hours just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Best of all it’s free lots of nice restaurants around to grab a bite while you’re there.

I have been visiting this hotel resort complex for years and it always is top notch. Gorgeous, spotless, manicured to a tee. Very impressive.

I am a gardener and loved looking at all the plants and flowers. What a great place to take pictures and just relax.

What an amazing place!
We parked at the Opry Mills mall on the end by the movie theater (FREE!) and then walked over to the hotel, which was a 5 minute walk.
It was so beautiful. We really loved seeing all the gardens. They were immaculate.
It was difficult to navigate with a stroller (we have 2 year old twins) but we were still glad we had it. It was a lot of walking for them.

We knew it would rain all day so this was one of our "indoor" stops. Fun to walk around and see the gardens which were transitioning to Christmas decor when we were there. Good eateries, and some have live music.
Park at the mall behind the theater (you will see the cars parked at back of lot). Follow the path that leads to the Delta Entrance.

We spent at least two hours wandering around this beautiful garden area. It is absolutely gorgeous and so very relaxing. You totally forget you are in the middle of a very busy area of Nashville. Would highly recommend you give yourself the gift of a wander through here.

Absolutely spectacular. A must go to for a rainy day, make sure you see the Delta section. Looks even better at night, the boat ride looks fun. Located adj to Grand Ol Opry, great to combine. Park for free in the adj mall. This is a world class attraction and is free.

What a beautiful and fun hotel. We had a blast. I was gifted a two night stay along with Soundwaves, I Love Christmas Movies and Ice Tubing. When I checked into the hotel Tanya at the front desk could not have been any nicer and accommodating. We took excellent care of us. Our entire stay was magical.

When you visit here you'll need a little time to take it all in, the gardens are relaxing, flowing water all in all a sight to be seen, if you have the time then a visit here is to be recommended.

The Gaylord has gorgeous gardens. If you go at Christmas time, you'll be treated to lots of holiday decorations, too. It's hard to believe they have all of those tropical plants and waterfalls indoors.

We want to come back when it's decorated for Christmas but it was absolutely refreshing and enjoyable is expected

We didn’t get a chance to stay here but we did go over to walk around and I have never seen so many people walking around shaking their heads. We paid the over $37 parking fee because taxes and a convince fee which are not advertised are included. We parked walk in the cascades area. The restaurant the offers breakfast and lunch is closed. There were like only a half dozen koi fish that could be seen maybe in the entire pond. The water was so dark and green you couldn’t see the fish. There was construction going on near the falls you couldn’t get close to it. We decided ok we will walk over to delta area we saw something about a river boat ride. Ha, closed no signs of it even being open anytime soon. The more we walk around delta island everything is closed. More people shaking their heads. We ran into an older couple she said everything is closed. The convention left and they closed everything. We don’t know what she was talk about and kept walking. Sure enough all the stores closed. Look online says the places are suppose to be open but nope. If I was a paying customer at the hotel. I would be pissed and it def not worth the price tag.

It was a eye opener .The place was beyond belief.Travel around the inside of the resort by boat. Waterfalls, drinks ,food and must of all live MUSIC.

Every trip to Nashville I visit this resort. The Gaylord Opryland Resort is always breath taking but especially when decorated for the Christmas holidays. A day spent walking the resorts atrium halls with 6,000 tropical plants is a day spent in paradise. There's so much to see and enjoy at the resort for all ages. A definite must!!!

so glad we came here to see it and have lunch. Beautiful and relaxing. We walked the entire resort (which is huge) and enjoyed it all and got some exercise in too!

A must see in Nashville. A huge and remarkable hotel. Walked through the gardens. Take a boat ride.. Vegas without the casino smoke!

The Opryland Hotel Gardens are SPECTACULAR with 9 acres of gardens you can view and walk around and relax in. The little boat ride is well worth your time too.

The Opryland hotel has a huge amount of greenhouses/gardens. We were told we had to go for Christmas to see the decorations. While the property is impressive, and there are lots of decorations, it didn't live up to my expectations -- I expected much more. We went on the Sunday evening before Christmas, so it was shoulder-to-shoulder with people throughout and all of the restaurants had hour-plus waits for food. After seeing every inch of Silver Dollar City covered in Christmas lights, the Opryland Resort was disappointing for their Christmas displays. Regardless, it was interesting to see the gardens and get in a good walk.

Went to Opryland with a Native Son and he took us Into the Hotel and WOW, we walked into Beautiful Christmas Decorated Bayou with Riverboats,Dancing Waters, Lush Gardens, Music City Decorations, Giant Christmas Trees along with Many Shops and Options for Food and Drink. Recommendation while inNashville during the Holiday Season.

This was my fourth time at this resort- and each time it is outstanding. Perfect for any age, family, couples, business etc. the stay would be great without leaving the property. Nice rooms, gorgeous atrium. A destination resort.

Great place up visit overall but especially on a rainy day. It’s like being outdoors inside. Fun place, food, boat rides and shopping.

If you want the fun of nightlife from the comfort of your room, be sure to book an “atrium view” room! Every single staff member was super friendly. Valet folks are speedy!

You have to see the interior of the Opryland Resort to believe it. When I moved to Nashville in 1994, one of the first things people said to me was, "Have you seen the inside of the Opryland Hotel?" No, I hadn't. "What's the big deal," I wondered.
Then, I went for a visit and I understood. I've been back probably hundreds of times. The sheer magnitude of this encolsed space is staggering. There are walkways, stores, restaurants, a river, essentially a whole city under one roof. But the plantlife is what strikes most people as simply stunning! You can literally get lost in a jungle, wander through a forest, and find yourself in an endless stretch where you feel like you're walking through the woods, but you're actually in a gigantic, indoor space. The glass ceiling lets in plenty of light to keep the plants happy, the experts who work on maintaining the flora are incredibly knowledgable, and you'll even come across rare plants and a waterfall. And wow, those Christmas decorations are amazing!
Parking is expensive and generally reserved for hotel guests, so locals just park at the adjacent Opry Mills Mall for free and walk over.

We walked from the Grand Ole Opry to the resort because we heard the gardens were so pretty. They were nice and the staff was very good. But we did not feel the gardens were worth the walk.

Great place to walk a bit and enjoy lovely garden spaces indoors. This resort is pricey, but looks like it would be fun to stay at if you have the money. We parked at the Regal cinemas nearby, and walked over and spent about an hour enjoying the spaces. Wish more of the plants had been labeled.

We paid the $36 to self park and it was worth it given we went on a blustery and rainy day. The mall parking was too given the rainy conditions. We considered it our entry fee into a beautiful botanical garden. We spent about 2 to 2 and a half hours walking around. It was a little confusing as there was little explanation for signage. We didn’t do the Delta River boat ride as the step down onto the boat was a little steep. It was neat to see that water from all over the world was brought in to make their river at Opryland resort. We got some fun one of a kind souvenirs from different shops at the resort. It was easy to walk around as there are ramps everywhere and you don’t have to take the stairs if you don’t want to. There are restaurants bars and a convention center too. We went during midday during the week and most everything (stores) were open. Just a couple of places (like the steakhouse) were closed. It opened at 5 pm, I believe.

IT IS NICE, BUT VERY LOUD, COMMERCIAL, CROWDED AND EXPENSIVE. THERE ARE BETTER THINGS MUCH BETTER TO DO IN NASHVILLE. I WOULD ONLY GO IF I HAD NOTHING BETTER TO DO.

What a wonderful experience! Although restaurants are not all open at the same time, they are open on a rotation. As long as you look ahead, you won’t be disappointed. Tanya at the front desk went out of her way to give us the best room possible to fit our needs. Margy in Jack Daniels was our server and an absolute delight. SoundWaves exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, size, and positive experience. We were also taken aback by how well-trained an conscientious the lifeguards were! David, in the rapid river Sunday morning, was stellar.

We wanted to park and spend a couple hours exploring the arboretum and eating lunch at one of the many restaurants. There is no hourly parking. We were going to be charged $37 just to park for 2 hours. Super sad.

This is an amazing place, several restaurants, amazing resort and rooms and the gardens were beautiful. The downside if you are not staying at the resort, close parking is expensive. If you don't care to walk, you can park int he mall parking lot and walk into the gardens, its free.
Absolutely beautiful
This is a real wow! We had a chance to visit this beautiful facility during the holiday season. The outside ice ring was jammed the inside decorations were superb. This was worth the trip to Nashville by itself. There are several eating facilities for any palate. Convenient and free parking
