Spent a week at the beach, fantastic weather this year. Some photos for you. North parking lot is finished and work continues on the south lot, should be really nice when its all done.

Loved the nude beach. Nothing creepy about it. I have only been in high season. Mostly frequented by snowbirds and tourists. Family friendly.

If you've never been to haulover it's a must go to place. Great ppl ,everyone is happy, beach is clean, food is great and no tan lines . Spent everyday here and will return soon . There were big, little, small, medium, large and all ages . No judgment just fun.Eat at the food truck, relax and leave it better than you found it.

My boyfriend and I went to Miami for a weekend getaway and knew nothing of Haulover’s nude beach until we arrived at our hotel. We were a bit reticent, but that ended seconds after we arrived. The beach itself is pristine, the water is so crystal clear, and is so much more quiet and remote than the crowded South Beach options. Being free enough to spend the day in nature was so refreshing and welcoming. There were men, women, young, old, and all typed of bodies, and we never felt unsafe or at all self-conscious. The southern portion of the nude section is quieter than the north, if that matters to you, and is populated with more couples than single people it seemed. Cannot recommend this place enough - but be aware it is a nude beach.

We went to several beaches in the Florida area during our trip, this one by far was the best. Nice sand, beautiful water, parking was actually reasonable.

No high rises just beach until sunset :), be aware that some parts is designated for nude beach if you are coming with kids.

First time at any nude beach for my wife and I. FANTASTIC! She did it as a favor to me as it was a bucket list item for me. We are in our 40s and not super models by any means. The people there were so nice and inviting . We were never made to feel unwelcome or ashamed. If anything it was empowering. By the time we left the first day she wanted to go back a 2nd day and before we left we decided to plan another trip in November so we could go to the beach for a few more days.

Loved it my first time nude on a beach. It was a proud moment in my life. Also the people so nice so understanding to. Ahh

Great beach and facilities. There is a clothing optional section so if that is not your thing beware. If that is your thing it is a blast! But signs are clearly posted so you will not accidentally walk in.

This is somewhere north Miami and you can probably notice it because it's the only area along the beach sections that has no built-in structures. Almost everything is nature. All the rest have buildings that really obstruct the view and make everyone in those buildings feel they're in an exclusive experience. However, in Haulover, it's shared public experience, which is exactly the point. That's also why I make it a point to visit the place everytime I am in Miami.

This was my first time at a CO beach-I'm not a nudist but wanted to check this off my bucket list.
I drove down from Ft lauderdale on a Thursday morning, traffic was not bad came from the north on A1A and parked in the first lot after the Haulover beach park sign. Lots of spaces at 930 am, paid the six dollars for all day parking at the paystation. There is a great boardwalk under A1A and I was able to rent one of the parks large umbrellas with two full size beach chairs for 35 cash. I am a redhead so tend to stay out of the sun. Parked and within a short walk was sitting on the beach. the beach was empty with only a few others. As the beach filled up within the next hour, most folks were all ages, mostly younger, and of all sizes, which is a good thing and most were nude. Humans rarely look like the baywatch models fortunately. People were very nice- Was a friendly crowd.
This is my take: the beach itself is nothing special-the sand is not powdery or white but coarse and a dull gray like New Smyrna, Daytona or Cocoa. There was a lot of natural debris (not garbage) on the shore and in the water so did not go swimming. the water itself had hues of blue beyond the debris.
What mostly stood out though was the construction of a massive residential condo tower less than 100 yards away. It must be at least 30 stories.
Shortly rich families will be literally looking down on the naturists as they enjoy the sun. This should not have been allowed to happen and no doubt signs the death warrant of this beach. there will be no way to avoid dozens if not hundreds of resident families within easy view of the beach. It will be like sunning yourself on 5th avenue. In addition, the sun is strong enough to be able to see within the building floor by floor.
Can't imagine these rich families with their young children are going to allow this beach to remain on their front doorstep. There will no doubt be some push back but there's no way this massive blight can NOT affect this beach. Wonder what kind of privacy laws are in effect? Will residents in this obscene monstrosity be able to film the nude beachgoers and post to the internet? How would they ever stop that from happening? That will be interesting to see legal challenges.
But as I sat looking out over the water, the beeping and jackhammers blaring away. I did get a sense that at one time this was a good place- a place that should have been protected.
Sunny Isles, you blew it.
That's my take for what its worth

I enjoyed a beautiful day at Haulover beach. The sun was out and the flags were green so I was able to truly enjoy the day.
Beware of traffic, however. I lost nearly an hour crossing the bridge to get to A1A. It was jammed with people planning much the same as myself.
Because it was busy, I entered the northernmost entrance. I came from the north so it was simply a matter of taking the first right after the last buildings. I recommend getting the PayByPhone parking app. There was a long line of people at the kiosk and all I could say was "why?!" I found a spot pretty quickly.
I walked under A1A using the handy tunnel and used the washrooms outside the park (more about that later). I then entered and was immediately greeted by the kind folks from South Florida Free Beaches, the group that fought for this beach's very existence. Yes, they were nude, and it seemed completely normal.
I found an attendant and promptly parted with $25 for a chair and umbrella rental. I think that's reasonable for visitors with no way to bring their own gear. I then stripped down and soaked up the Florida sun, or as much as could penetrate the generous layer of sunscreen. Be careful to apply it everywhere, especially the parts that don't get to see much sun.
I tanned in my rented chair for a while. Then I swam out to the sand bar, a glorious sensory experience for those who haven't ever swam nude. The waves added to the pleasure. I then walked the length of the clothing optional section and back, enjoying the variety of beachgoers - young, old, thin, not so thin; tanned, not so tanned. Everyone was beautiful in their own way.
The only negatives were 1: a creeper - that's a clothed guy that walks the beach fact-timing a friend, showing him the hottest naked chicks he can find. His loss... he didn't enjoy the opportunity to be nude. 2: Upon leaving for the day I stopped at the restroom outside the beach area on my way back to my car. I then understood the "no loitering" signs I observed earlier. I couldn't even get in the door due to the crowd of men masturbating themselves and each other in the restroom. I turned around and walked back out. It was very disturbing and I'm not an easily shaken person. It's too bad they couldn't be more self-controlled, all I could think of was families needing the facilities. I wish the police could stop it.
That said, I still recommend it. Just use the next entrance to the south, which is said to be less um... amorous?

Twenty years ago Haulover was my first clothing option beach experience and since that time my beach travel plans are always centered around a clothing optional destination. While I tend to prefer less developed national seashore type beaches I love the convenience of Haulover. It is by far the most easily accessible nude beach on the east (US) coast. Whether by private vehicle or public transportation to get there it is then simply a short easy walk to the beach. Most other destinations involve a drive to a more distant parking area then a lengthy walk to the CO section. Haulover also eliminates the need to pack a bunch of stuff with you. Just a coverup, towel and some cash is all you need since there are ample vendors there. The location and staffing makes it a safe comfortable location.

Enjoyed three days at the nude beach this visit to Miami/Sunny Isle. The parking lot is now totally automated, no attendant any more. The north entry is open again.
The beach was fairly crowed for weekdays in November. Was able to rent a cabana for $25. Many of the regulars were there. Was a little too windy for getting in the water.

We had an awesome time at the beach ⛱️. meet a few people. they have bathrooms , they have showers 🚿 they have lifeguards, alot of security at all times. we felt very safe.. Overall Beautiful beach ⛱️..bucket list ✔️

This is the best nude beach in the country by a mile. Food truck, rented chairs and umbrellas, rest rooms, life guards, convenient parking ...Unfortunately a few regular CREEPS feel the need to ruin it for everyone else. Undercover police could quickly fix this problem.

So, I have reviewed Haulover before. Twice before. And I have been back again, so it's time to again sing its praises.
On my recent visit, I was a busy day. What I noticed was how diverse the crowd was... a lot of peoples enjoying the clothing-optional experience. And I saw a lot of options being taken, from full suits to full nudes. Really, if you're at all curious about the experience, Haulover is the place to try. No one will look at you strangely no matter what you choose.
As on my previous visits, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I can't say enough about it.
I did not go very far North, but it seemed that the gay scene has shrunk. Also, I did not notice as many groups of older Haulover veterans as in the past (typically in the central section). The showers by the North tunnel seem to have been updated, which is good.
There was a LOT of seaweed, but once you got past it, the water was great!

Clothing optional beach. Too many people on beach in bathing suits. Including couples. Why were they on nude section? A lot of single men. Safe parking easy access. Safe beach. Will visit again when in Miami.

DO NOT GO on a weekday or weekend pass 1 pm!
I usually go there in the mornings and I have been pleasantly surprised by the use of masks, beach patrol, and order.
However, today Sunday, July, 19th. I went to the beach between 1pm and 4pm. The number of people there partying was extremely uncomfortable. It gradually increased by the minute!
Groups of people drinking, the smell of weed in the air, loud music, folks not following any guidance on social distancing.
As I got out of the water there was a group of 6 guys cluster under one beach umbrella to my left and a couple less than 1 feet on the other side. This should NOT be tolerated!
There was absolutely no enforcement. The lady at the entrance instead of checking for masks was taking a nap.
No police patrolling. The two four-wheelers I saw were parked at the lifeguard station. And instead of reinforcing the rules, the patrols and the lifeguard were just chatting.
There is a lack of reinforcing the codes by the city, by the lifeguards, police, and more.
We are in the midst of a pandemic that keeps hurting our community. I demand that the control practices be reinforced to the fullest every day of the week, especially during the weekend!

Wife and I were looking forward to trying this beach out however when we got there we couldn't get out fast enough. We set up our chairs and immediately noticed there was a lot of males wandering in and out of people sitting on the beach, these males were constantly playing with themselves, there was so many it was like watching feeding time on shark week. Next we saw a couple in the water embraced in heavy kissing and other play, after a few minutes the male got out of the water and walked back to his spot on the beach, he was clearly excited about the romance he and the woman were engaged in. We decided to pack up and leave and noticed the "unhoused" posted up near the exit watching the beach. We arrived back at our car in the large parking lot just on the other side of the tunnel that takes you to and from the beach, we got in closed the doors and removed the sunshade from our windshield and we were treated to a free show of 2 males engaged in oral sex in the front seat of their vehicle right in front of us. All this happened in one hour at this beach. Needless to say we will NEVER return to this beach again. If this isn't your "scene" don't waste your time, if it is your "scene" go and enjoy the show.

My husband and I love this beach . The beach is so clean the water is gorgeous. We stay at a hotel right on Collins Ave and take the bus to the beach. We went to this beach for the first time in May 2016 and have now been back three times for vacation and can't wait to go back. I will say everyone is very respectful but we usually go home with at least one or two good stories.

My wife and I left the gulf side and headed to Miami for the nude beach. It was a week day and parking was not a problem. We were both a little nervous thus being our first time. She took her top off first as we set under a rented umbrella.. After a few minutes I took off my speedo. After a little persuasion she removed her bottoms. It was so wonderful and freeeing. We went to the water which was beautiful and warm. Swimming naked with my wife was awesome. Let's just say if your hugging your wife and she wraps her legs around you no one will know what's going on. Dam that was hot. And we made several more trips in the water. I felt 17 again. If you've never been I would highly recommend and I promise it's just natural and wonderful. Just do it. Can't wait to go back.

I went to this place in the middle of the summer. The people there were extremely shocked when I began to undress. Apparently this isnt a nude beach as I was told by friends.

Recently visited with my wife. The parking was great, the walk to the beach was great. Restrooms nearby with working showers and decently clean restrooms.
We found a seat at the beach and got settled, remaining clothed. It was apparent pretty quick that gawkers and lookers were abound and had no shame in staring. I get it, it’s a nude beach...people are curious. But the numbers of men walking around in circles just staring, often with theirs phones out taking obvious pictures was hard to keep count of. Hard to relax when every few moments a strange man creeps by hoping to sneak a peek of something.
We last visited in 2012 without issue. Very few gawkers or creepers. This seem to be a problem now...I get the vibe that the creepers are tolerated now, instead of confronted.
Everyone here had a smart phone in hand, especially the gawkers. No telling if they were texting mawmaw or just taking your picture.

Great beach, only issue my wife has no wants to talk to her. Not even the guy behind her sitting on the beach doing his thing. We will be back in June.

Haulover Beach, alternatively referred to as Haulover Park Beach, is a highly favored expansive beach featuring a vast stretch of white sand.
Some Important aspects for those who have planning to visit this beach are :
1.The beach provides rental services for beach wheelchairs, catering to visitors with disabilities
2. Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino is a horse-racing track with in 25min drive.
3. Not a family-friendly beach , does not have restrooms, lifeguards.
4. Not have dedicated parking
5. Dog friendly beach

This is amazing beach. A section of it is naturist beach. If you are hanging out in the south side of the beach, you won't encounter naturists. Pristine white sand and clear blue water. As this is way less crowded than south / Miami Beach, you will have lot of privacy and may have whole beach to yourself! A must visit for a day spent on the beach. Fresh water showers are available just outside the beach and restrooms are very clean.

We had my my BIL's Maltese with us and stayed at the dog section between lifeguard towers 2 and 3. The beach itself is beautiful and lovely for walking, sunbathing, and relaxing under the sun. Some dog owners were irresponsible with their dogs and allowed them to roam free without paying attention to what their pets were doing. This included running onto the no dog section, defecating without cleaning up, going after other dogs and humans, and on one occasion humping another dog. Fortunately this poor behavior was limited to just a few owners among a hundred or so people. There didn't seem to be any regulation of the bad behaviors by beach authorities. If you dislike dogs I'd recommend staying at least a couple sections down the beach to avoid any run ins.

Too many pickleball players think that they are too good to spend 15 minutes playing with lower level players. Not just here, but all over.... I don't know why so many folks take it so seriously and don't want to try and help teach a lower level player for 15 minutes ...Obviously an immaturity issue with some so called grown adults.... Not the way I was raised ....other than that comment, courts are very nice.
serious and many Think date they are 2 good to play with a lower level player 1 lousy game...

We revisited the beach again. It is the best nude beach in US. We went on Saturday and Sunday and it was crowded but we liked the vibe.
Down side was too many young single men constantly parading back and forth with their pines showing off. Some of them were pumped up by Viagra. Other thing was smoking pot on the beach and that was illegal.
Everything else was great. The beach has shower, trash removal, bathrooms, food truck, umbrellas, beach chairs.
We will come back next spring.

The beach is really good to enjoy part of the day however if you come from the North side don’t park in the first parking area because you will be arriving on the naturist beach and it is strange to see. The south part is better to stay

I reached the beach with a bike because you can't go there with the car. If you're looking for a calm and relaxing environment this is the right place for you. There is also a nudist area.

Great Location, I loved the ambiance, mix of gay and straight couples.little truck selling dood and drinks. Incredibly beautiful people.
Beautiful beach, I was able to find thanks of all the instructions on trip advisor.

hi i have been to the clothing optional beach several times
always go with my young girlfriend , we are both from Europe so going nude
is no problem , we try and sit by other couples , kind of safety in numbers mentality
as we always draw a lot of men mostly wearing shorts onlookers , not obviously for me but for my pretty girlfriend , on occasion they circle like vultures , we try to ignore them as best we can still overall a great outing

After spending almost a full week at Haulover (2 more days to go), and after doing this for more than 15 years, thought I would offer a few comments and notes:
--Haulover is still the same after all these years. For newcomers who are interested in partaking in the "nude beach" thing, a few suggestions. It may take you or your partner a little bit of time to get naked, but I strongly suggest it. For me, I start off on a Monday and by Thursday or Friday, I've pretty much lost my inhibition. Nobody cares! All different body types, heights, weights, color. For couples and singles, I prefer the south side of the beach (near Lifeguard Stations 13 and 14). Weekends are crazy busy, and be forewarned, people will set up their towels, umbrellas and chairs within 5 feet of you (another reason to start getting acclimated on a Monday or Tuesday). Sand is meticulously groomed and cleaned every day, water is always warm and beautiful. While I've rarely seen creepers lurking around, today one of the lifeguards called the police and they came over to a creeper who was clearly making people feel uncomfortable. In my 15 years, I've probably encountered this 3-4 times, and always, the lifeguards and police are watching and protecting. This is a safe and unique beach. After swimming without a swimsuit here, it is really difficult to put one on and swim anywhere else.

This was my first time visiting this beach! The beach was very clean, and the water was very clear. The clothing optional section is a great way to get an even tan, and to experience the freedom of nature. Highly recommend, and will be returning next time I’m in the area.

My wife and I visited Haulover nude beach twice during the middle of the week. There were plenty of people, but it was still a very quiet, relaxed vibe. My wife and I were first timers and felt totally comfortable. We also enjoyed the beautiful warm water. It was also nice being there with the knowledge that it was totally legal to be naked. We will certainly return again.

Simply the finest nude beach in North America. Clean, well maintained, and is patrolled by Miami Dade Police to keep the wierdo's at bay. Umbrella and chair rentals available. Don't skip a lunch at the food truck The food is top notch.

Best dog park for dogs of all sizes! Very ample and well taken care of. You can meet and make a lot of new dog-lovers friends there too. Dogs are free to roam and that is wonderful to see them run and interact with other dogs! Best dog park in Miami and Miami Beach!

The beach is kept clean, patrolled and has manned lifeguard towers all year round which all helps to keep the beach friendly without inappropriate behaviour.
Beach is frequented all types: snowbird visitors, families with children, singles, couples and retirees alike. Me and my wife been there a lot over the past year. never planned to take our children to a place like this however everytime we go we see lots of kids there age there, all with with families. So thought maybe this would be ok for our kids especially since our kids are not shy and since we live in a rural area, they often are in the nude anyway. Our 4 boys who are between 4 and 9 years old, We told them that mom and dad have been going to a beach and thought they might like to go since other kids there age go there. We told them one thing was different and that you dont need to wear anything but they could stay in there briefs if they wanted to. None of them objected to going and they all thought it sounded fun, so we went this past weekend. Most families are around lifeguard stand 12-13 area so that is where we went with the kids There was a few other families there with some boys and girls around there age and our boys quickly undressed and had a blast playing in the sand, in the water and interacting with the other kids. They didnt care or even seem to notice that they werent wearing anything and were playing with the others just like any other time that we had gone to a normal beach (we had forgot to warn the boys that there may be girls there age there too.) But with them not being shy they never even mentioned anything about the girls, even on the way home. All they could talk about was how much fun the beach was, and that they liked not having to wear a sticky swimming suit. And are asking when we can go back.
if you go with the kids stay on the south end of the nude beach, that is where the families hang out. see kids there everytime, any where from infant to teenage. Beach has lots of room and lots of nice sand as well, parking is pretty cheap. Also These beaches are just so beautiful. The sand is pure white and "squeaks" beneath your feet as you walk! The water is such a beautiful blue and contrasts perfectly with the sand. This beach is clean and well maintained. Safe to walk the shore line in the evenings and watch the sun set. Cant say enough good about this Florida Beach.

A pleasant respite from Adam & Eve's misadventure with their talking and deceitful pet snake. The day was sunny, the ocean inviting. and the atmosphere tranquil. God created me naked; if naked is good enough for Him, then it is good enough for me.

This was my first clothing optional beach experience. It was very nice. Beach was well kept up and people were all very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Great place to work on that tan with no tan lines. It amazing to feel so incredibly comfortable in a public space free and all natural. All worries leave with the last stitch of clothing and confirmation that I made the right decision takes over. Umbrella rentals available if you get to much sun. Plenty of room to stretch the legs and go for a nice walk. Water is pretty much always nice and refreshing.

There are a couple shower stations and you need to park near their tunnel. The beach is clean and sunbathers are respectful. The sand is walkable with barefeet and the waves are great for body surfing!

Along the north end of this 1.5-mile (2.4 km) shoreline you will find the World Famous Haulover Naturist beach. This fenced-off section is 0.4-mile (0.6 km) of nude (or clothing-optional) relaxation which is officially recognized and approved by the government of Miami-Dade County. The beach is well maintained and manicured. The bathrooms are kept clean. The lifeguards are always on duty. My wife and I love relaxing naked under the Florida sun and the feel of being naked in the surf. It is invigorating. Haulover Naturist Beach. It is open to the public. We'll see you there!

Very clean and managed "clothing optional" beach. All ages welcomed to enjoy the beach and sand in the buff. Absolutely no issues considering it's clothing optional. Park at Boat Marina for a short walk thru the tunnel

Super relaxed atmosphere. More men than women nude but that's to be expected I think. A couple creeps stared at my delightful womanly assets, also to be expected, can't win 'em all. Got stung by a Portuguese Man'o'war (not on my assets though thank god). All in all really loved it, we went back two more times.

I use to go with my dog jogging at the beach walk. A lot of people go to do the same thing and also take a chance to go to the beach

Awesome adult beach. Great for people watching and sunbathing. This is an adult clothing optional beach. Nobody judges and it's just a lot of fun. There's a little food cart on the beach where you can get something to eat. Don't be shy just enjoy

Well nude beach is nude beach - if you OK with that then it s definitely your place , but they don't have any benches , umbrellas , no towel service and so on . Witch is not very comfortable.
But the beach is clean , nobody looks on you , the safe guards are always on duty. So you decide !

My wife and I love to go there and take one of the many fishing tours. It seem every time we go out we catch great snapper.

This beach is a great getaway from the madness that is south beach and as a clothing optional beach past the signs, it's the only one I know of in the area. Lots of friendly people, but lurkers and folks that come and stare at people can be a bit of a downer for the experience. The beach itself is wonderful and definitely worth a trip....

Beach was wonderful, however the experience was not as stated it would be. First lots of construction in the parking areas. We had to walk a very long way. Also the nude section could be better posted. We were on the paved walking path and was not real sure if we were at the right spot. We saw no changing rooms or concessions like we read there would be. Mostly men like people have posted.

Great place for fireworks and has the best sandbar and the locals are very friendly. Bestyachtrentals has the best experiences and theere are food boats on the water as well

We go to Haulover Naturist Park (part of Haulover Beach Park) every year. It is an amazing feeling, very liberating, very comfortable. No one judges anyone...we are all there for the same reason. Sunbathing and swimming on the clothing optional beach. We actually went twice this year -- once on a Saturday and once on Monday. Rented two chaise lounges and two umbrellas (total of $50 plus tip). Boucher Brothers rents the chairs and umbrellas. There's a young fellow there from New York -- sorry I cannot remember his name -- but he is awesome. We see him there every year and he takes care of setting up our chairs and umbrellas. For those who have never been to a clothing optional beach, this really is the best beach for your first time -- very laid back, very causal, no judgments, and there are lifeguards on duty too! JUST DO IT!!!

This beach is beautiful! It is also a nude beach on half of it then the other half is family beach….. My children absolutely loved playing there in the white sand and seashells!!! It has an amazing view of the ocean!!!

Just perfect weather on the beach today. The pics are of the food truck, menu and the rates for the beach chairs, umbrellas, and cabana’s.

My favorite beach in all of Florida. Been countless times and hope to return just as many. Clean beach. Wonderful updated facilities (Showers, Parking, etc) No restaurants, but usually a food truck or two. I prefer to pack a sub from Publix and premix cool beverages. I bring an umbrella, towel, small cooler and sunscreen. Swimming is safe and very relaxing. The mix of people is great, more friendly than most beaches in South Florida.

Worth a visit - whether a newbie or seasoned nude beach goer Haulover Beach is a beautiful, peaceful place to spend a day in the sun and surf. Our visit was made that much more pleasant with the help of our new friend David who greeted us each day with a friendly smile and conversation. He was also our go to person for lounge chairs/umbrella rentals! We bought lunch from the B&B food truck -- convenient and tasty! Thanks for a great visit!

This beach is clean. Beautiful water. Sunday was very packed but Monday there were very few people. Both times we went to the north end clothing optional beach. Very carefree area. It appeared that most people there usually go often. Mostly men though. We were approached two separate times though by a man each time, trying to "get to know us", striking up a conversation, hanging for a little too long. It was a little uncomfortable. Some men were just walking around scoping out the people there in the hopes of hooking up. That is what it seemed like to us.

The best part was clothing optional beach. I vibe was awesome and everyone was friendly. I will return to the beach next spring break.

I'd heard and read a lot about this beach. Whew! It's fabulous. To think that your can go to a beach where there are no tan lines is great. Also, considering the Miami heat you really don't feel like wearing clothes. This is a must stop for anyone who loves their body and comfortable in it. It's truly a no judgment zone.

Spent our anniversary week at Haulover - it was our first visit to this beach. We had a great time. The beach was clean, chair rentals super convenient (they do take credit cards) and the other visitors were nice and respectful. The northern most part of the clothing optional beach is very lively - expect to make new friends! The more southern part of the clothing optional beach was calmer. Regardless, it is a great beach and we are happy to have spent four days there.

We love being naked in the sunshine. It was nice to find a clean, local beach to enjoy. We decided to purchase chairs and umbrella from BJ's before visiting, however you can rent on the beach. The lifeguard towers were in full force keeping the water safe as the flag was red with a strong undertow. There were all sorts of ages, colours, shapes and sizes. It was refreshing not to worry about judgement. You can bring alcohol; just not n glass...

Haulover offers the freedom to relax in a completely nude environment with people from all walks of life. The natural beauty of the beach and water combined with the au natural beauty of the human body is amazing to behold… an almost existential experience. A place to be yourself and enjoy the breathtaking beauty the women of Miami Beach are known for… all makes and models are accepted.

Friendly folk, great service for chair/umbrella rental. The beach itself was beautiful, well maintained. Rest rooms were clean. Easy parking and an easy walk to the beach. Comfortable being topless or nude. No gawkers, or pervs while we were there!

Parking is free. Dog beach is clean. Loads of fun and u can bring your whole family. U can bbq. There’s lots of room for everyone

Stopped at Haulover beach on our way out of Miami Beach back home. Paid $6 to park and walk under A1A to the beach. The beach is large and extremely clean. The water was calm, clean and perfect for a swim. There is also a clothing optional section of the beach that is fenced off and has signage.
Boat ramps, bathrooms, boat rentals and a riverside park also. Could have spent the whole day here.

Love the large beach and reasonable parking fees unlike most other beaches. Hours are listed 8 am to 6:30, but before 5:30 security is telling people to leave. Perhaps set better expectations on hours listed. Also bathrooms are already locked well before warning. Keep bathrooms open until people are off beach. I'm sure many people like myself think they can use a bathroom on the way out before driving off.

Another easy nude beach to find. You need to park on the west side of highway A1A. To save steps park as far North as you can. The Nude section of the beach is on the North end. Parking is only $6 for the whole day. Use the tunnel under the highway to access the beach. This is a large flat beach and often very packed. There are high rise condo buildings on both end of the beach. The south section of the beach is for clothed sun bathers. We have on more than once encountered males walking around in a semi excited state. My advice is they are harmless, just ignore them. That is not normal behavior for real nudists or naturists. There is usually a food truck at the North end of the beach so you can grab a snack or bite to eat. You'll notice by the weelie carts they use to bring their stuff, This beach has many regulars. It is world famous and there is a reason why. It's an awesome beach for the seasoned veteran nudist or the beginner. I would highly recommend visiting Haulover Beach at least once

Great beach. Nice how gentle the waves are. Took my 10 year old son. Did not see anything that made me worry about my son being nude in public. Everyone kept to themselves. Son got a beach day without having to wear as he calls us "an annoying swimsuit" it's nice having the life guards and police patrol made it much more comfortable an assuring.

Yeah a friend just had to go. We did and it was nice beach. More men on the beach than women. All ages, shapes and sizes. Sm. fences separates regular beach from nude beach. Not sure how a man with 3 children walked onto beach without knowing. Father seemed surprised, as boy yelled ...dad that woman does not have her bra on!!! LOL no photos to share!!!

On one of our many treks to my Beloved Sunshine State, my Wife and I spent a fabulous few hours on one of the nicest beaches in all the world! It was nice to swim and enjoy the beach without having to be concerned with a wet bathing suit. We were here in July 2010 and again a few years later. Look forward to returning to Haulover again, sometime in the next few years!!

Always love the beach always love coming to the beach love the view always super pretty and very relaxing at haulover loves the waves hitting me

I have been there a couple of times during the summer for Tuesday's Food Truck nights, and have always found it to be great.
There is a great variety of food offered to cater to any and every taste.
There are also very many desert options.
If you get there early, there will be a lot of families playing soccer or volleyball, and even flying kites.
Sunsets are always beautiful here.
Will be returning next summer

Great beach, parking a pain. Bring an umbrella. Also lots of water. Make it a picnic of sorts. All day worth the price of parking. Lots of construction in parking lots. Signage in needs improvement.

This nudist beach was definitely not what you expect. Considering the weather there were few people on the beach. However everyone was clothed. This was not a disappointment for because I came for the beautiful views and there is something peaceful about this location. I had fun feeding the seagulls on the beach they were very playful. I sat upon the rock wall and watch the ships come into bay. Clear blue waters nestled underneath a softly lite rainbow. Park hours are sunrise to sunset. There are many picnic tables for cookouts. Numerous Grills are placed in the picnic area for a nice day in the park. You have to pay to park. I paid $1.75 for each hour. Lifeguards were always present.

We visited a lot of beaches in Miami but North Beach is still our favorite. It is easy to find, parking lot is close to the beach and costs only 5$ the day. The water is clear, the beach is clean and not as crowded as South Beach. This is a beach where Dogs are allowed, so it is fun to watch some dogs swimming and playing with each other.

I initially came across this place while on a weekend visit. I’m back in the area for a couple weeks and this is my preferred place to let Ozzy be a dog. Very nice facilities for a dog beach/park. Of the many placed we take Ozzy, this ranks 2nd only to our hometown of San Francisco’s Stern Grove and Ft Funston. Looking forward to this Sat and Sunday... going to the beach!
Only open Fri-Sun from 8-3pm. Parking is great, with a dog it’s 2$. Without 5&7$ on weekends.

We finally found a dog friendly beach in the Miami area! So many sweet dogs just playing free of leashes. Wonderful beach, great sand and water. Tons of room to play and swim. We have a four year old as well and there were kids to play with her as well. Really awesome beach area. We will definitely return.

Great Marina, super close to the inlet with excellent security, ammenities and cleanliness! Price is reasonable too! I'll be back.

Haulover beach is great for everyone. There’s a section for families, adults, nudists and those that just want to relax in a quiet area and listen to the water. There’s not a lot of food options around and the bathrooms can be a little dirty (bring Purell) but still great on the beach.

My husband was really looking foward to visiting this beach...hes pretty comfortable in his own skin and has no problem showing it!! I on the other hand had my reservations. Regardless we went and didnt want to leave!!! A beautiful beach!!! We went on a week day around 10am. Not too many people at that hour but definitely got more crowded as the day progressed!!! The water was divine!!! We were visited by small sharks and the lifegaurds instructed everyone to get out whenever they swam by. But no one really seemed to hesitate on going back in the water once it was safe. We bought burgers from a great food truck that has a nice variety of foods. That was a plus because we didnt have to leave the beach when we got hungry!!! Oh!! There are umbrella and beach chair rentals as well. 10 bucks for each chair and 15 for and umbrella!! Not cheap but it helps alot when it gets hot!!! Overall great experience!!! Im pretty sure we will be back!!!

Try to go on the less crowded days - But ANY day is paradise at this beach - Go to the free beach if your a free thinker or opt to keep your suit on - There is a place in the sun and sand for everyone

The most perfect beach. Clean. Not overly crowded. Clear water and warm. Highly recommend. Will be returning.

Sadly, Haulover nude beach has steadily declined over the past 3 years. Each year I have seen more and more creepy single men "on the hunt" for cheap thrill. A few of these are well recognized by many, and old. Creepers.
These men wander around the nude area of beach, in between lounging people ... they always appear to be busy looking for something. What they look for are young attractive females. They carry small travel pack of towell and perhaps an umbrella, and they quickly lay down to set up shop so that they can stare at the crotch of these ladies. If the nice looking lady moves, they pack up and move also.
A frightening number of them like to masturbate, barely under the cover of a towel. More police presence is needed!
This beach used to be a welcome visit for true naturists. A tragic loss of public investment. We will not be back.

We have been a couple of times to the beach both at weekend and during the week
It's lovely white sand, gentle sea but no shade so take your own
If you rent an umbrella it will cost 15 usd per day
Worth a visit and not overly busy

The best experience I’ve ever had. Being that close to nature and seeing non sexual nudity felt really good. I’ve always been a home nudist but coming to this beach has turned me in a full 24/7 nudist. I think my wife and I will make this a regular visit.

Not my first review of Haulover. Or my second. Or my third. Always raves.
And this one is no different. Got a couple chances to go this month. First day - great weather. Most people seemed to be regulars... the right vibe of comfortable being naked. Average age was probably 50+. Second day - a bit breezy. More younger and inexperienced (with public nudity) people, but good vibe.
I did find that there's a station to rinse off that's accessible from the CO side. I don't know if this is new, but it's very convenient. Previously, you had to put on a suit to go shower (and get the suit wet).
Also, there is some serious road construction affecting access to the parking lots. It looks like it will be great when it's done, but it's not done.
Finally, note the parking is Pay by phone now. No little booth on entry.

Haulover is a clothing optional beach, not a nude beach; there’s a huge difference. It means that when you go there, they will be a lot of fully clothed men walking around gawking at your private parts. Sorry, but I don’t want to sugarcoat this. It’s also extremely crowded, so be prepared to be laying out naked next to a whole bunch of strangers, playing loud music. PS paying for a tour of the spot Is ridiculous. It’s a public beach. You pay, park and walk across the street.

Haulover has great parking near park/beach, easy access to the beach very quiet and peaceful. If you’re looking to get away from the busyness they do have umbrella Rentals $25 and food delivery service

I'll start with my arrival at the parking lot on the north end by saying they've done a great job with the resurfacing and reconstruction since my last visit a few years ago. They've also added two convenient ways to pay for parking. Using the "Pay by Phone App on your smartphone or using the pay station where you enter your car license plate and pay in cash or credit card. ($5-$7 per day depending on the lot and day, weekends are $1 more). There is a tunnel to walk under the roadway to the beach and a restroom located just before you get to the beach, (always clean with lots of stalls and handicap accommodations. Entering the beach you'll find a shower to rinse off after a swim in the ocean or just to clean your feet before you re-shoe. There are rentals for chairs, umbrellas and cabanas $10, $15, & $25 per day respectively. The north end of the beach is predominately gay, the entire beach is clothing optional though most choose to shed the outer trappings of modern society. It's a fabulous beach, clean and safe. Lifeguards on duty during the day with flags to let you know about any hazardous conditions. Highly recommended and totally enjoyed!

Very secluded beach. We were next to the nude beach but did not make it into the nude area. It was very crowded, not just with gays like the other reviews mention, but every shape, size and age you can imagine. Not for us but maybe for you? The non-nude section of beach was very nice and not crowded at all.

Haulover Park is a 99-acre urban park located in metropolitan Miami, just north of Bal Harbour, Florida. The park is located on a shoal between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, just north of the Broad Causeway and Collins Avenue.I visit this park
it is nice and it Also,Haulover Beach great for swiming or sunbathing if you are naturist.

Please extend the hours at least in the summer! The sun sets around 8pm. Closing the beach at 4pm is too early and does not allow us to fully enjoy it because earlier it’s just unbearably hot.

Maybe the best public beach park in Miami. Not crowded like normally south beach is nor full of barbecue people like other Parks, the action here happens on the water with boat owners. They kind of park in the middle of the channel and party right there. In the sand part all calm and clean water. Nice place.

This is a fun beach.I was completely comfortable with no clothes on.There were no gawkers just all sorts of people reading books and newspapers. The water is beautiful this is a very nice natural beach.I even walked around a bit.Very nice people here.I packed a cooler with some adult beverages which I discretely consumed I can't wait to go back. The Newport beach resort is a short beach walk away.

My wife and I were on holiday in the Miami area and decided to check out Haulover Beach for the day. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we actually returned for a second day. Although we gave this a five-star review, it is by no means 'perfect' as clothing-optional beaches go, but it is pretty darn close. So many positive things to start with, but one negative item that I will mention at the end.
We have been to our share of clothing-optional and nude beaches in our travels, primarily in the Caribbean but also in Europe. This is now our favorite among them all. First, it's a large beach -- both deep and long (and not some section of a public beach that is used for nude sunbathing). There's plenty of room to place your towels and set-up your beach umbrella here. You don't feel squeezed-in, but you can choose the spot that you like. The section just to the north of the first lifeguard station is essentially a gay nude beach, dominated by men with a few female couples mixed in. South of that it quickly turns into a wonderful clothing-optional beach for couples, singles, young and old, with people of all body sizes and shapes. However, there is no pressure on anyone to bare it all here. With some couples the man was nude, but his wife or girlfriend remained in her suit or just topless.
But, when you see the relaxed atmosphere here and all the people enjoying themselves 'au natural' I strongly recommend shedding your inhibitions and giving this beach a try in the buff. Chairs, a beach umbrella, cabanas, etc. can all be rented here, but the prices are a bit high so if possible you may want to bring your own stuff. Two reclining beach loungers will cost you $30, but we brought our own large beach umbrella with us. Technically, beer or alcohol is not permitted on this beach because it's a county/state park. But, if you're discreet it's unlikely the park ranger will say anything to you.
A well-equipped food & beverage truck (B & B Haulover Beach) opens at 11:00 each morning and stays almost until closing, and offers an impressive array of soft drinks, frozen lemonade, water, salads, grilled food, and sandwiches at reasonable prices. Of course, you can always bring your own food instead.
Signs when you enter the beach apologize for the seaweed that has washed up on the shore, but in reality it isn't that bad. It's ten times worse on Orient Beach in St. Martin, and we hardly noticed it during our visits.
What are the negatives? The big one is the overly-complicated 'pay-by-phone' odyssey that you must go through when you arrive and park. Sometimes the app doesn't work, and then you have to call and go through a long, torturous ordeal over the phone to pay for your day's parking. Best to download the 'PayforPark' App on your phone and practice with it before you visit.
So, if you are in this area and don't mind the ridiculous traffic congestion of south Florida Haulover Beach State Park is an experience that you will surely enjoy and remember for a long, long time!

We did visit on a weekday as we were on vacation and I am sure that must be the reason why it wasn't bustling with people. Regardless, the beach was calm and serene. Showers and restrooms were clean and easily accessible, parking is across the street but easy to walk up to beach, and we saw manta ray right at the shore. It was just a great day, with calm waters and hardly anyone around.

Visited the CO beach several times this week with my wife. If we lived closer we would be here all the time. My compliments to the county and its people for facilitating this glorious experience.
Start with parking. It is nearby and there is lots of it. Six dollars for all day. A bargain. Especially when considering the price of admission: free. Chair/umbrella/cabana rentals are very reasonable. But those who wish to bring their own are welcome to do that. The vendors are exceptionally polite and helpful explaining who mostly patronizes which section of the beach. It’s not that there are strict rules and there is a lot of bleed over. We visited all sections during the week and always felt welcome and comfortable wherever we went.
Which is the greatest thing about the place. All types, colors, orientations, etc. are enjoying it together. Everyone gets along and divisiveness is checked at the gate. It would appear that being naked is the great equalizer.
Side note: the creepers are there as other reviewers have mentioned. Some think they are being clever but it’s obvious. I figure, who cares. We knew people would see us naked. Some of them just want to see naked and not be naked. I kinda feel sorry for them.

At first I was nervous to come... I wanted to get rid of the horrible tan lines on my chest/back, but I was afraid that nobody would actually be topless or nude for that matter and so if I were to go topless everyone would stare and judge. But it was the complete opposite!! There were a lot of people topless and nude and it was a great, relaxing vibe with no judgments or pressure. I would recommend this beach (lifeguard towers 12-16) to anyone who wants to try a topless beach for the first time! The beach is also very clean and the water is super blue and beautiful, more so than south beach! Parking is across the highway and isn’t too expensive, and there is a tunnel under the highway so it’s safe to cross. There are chairs and umbrellas but they cost $10 & $15.

Came here for the first time due to the good reviews i read but huge mistake . I am a female 32 years old came to get rid of some tan lines but within a few minutes of being there i felt harassed . There is all type of creepy men walking up and down the beach , while i was there 2 men showed up alone one was next to me and the other behind they both kept grabbing themselves and clearly they were aroused . Made me feel very uncomfortable i get its a nude beach and im aware of that but its just disgusting having to see these men both young and old touching themselves constantly , i left within an hour of being there .

This is a great park. Very wide open. The Kite festival is coming up and is a fantastic event. 1,000's of kites with food vendors. Beach is fantastic and so is the marina.

Love the nude beach. A good amount of creepers though. David, the chair rental kid was super nice. Clean water. Parking easy.

We just returned from an extended Florida vacation, having been unable to go last year due to the pandemic, and were lucky to have been able to visit nine days. The weather was absolutely perfect. The water, as always, was warm and clear. However, we did have a couple of times when the water was cleared due to shark sightings. We also had a giant Manta ray cruising just offshore two of the days. That was really cool as I had never seen one before. It was enormous.
In general, the beach was much more crowded than in past years. However we never had a problem finding chairs and an umbrella. The manager Al and his gang do a great job of keeping the supplies in order. Prices are the same. Chair rental is $10 and the umbrella is $15. We usually only rent chairs, but the sun and heat fried us this year, so we broke down and rented an umbrella too. Honestly, we might have been better off just buying two chairs and an umbrella at Walmart and thrown them out at the end of the visit.
Still a number of creepers. The usual two guys that I've reported on many times before, and submitted a couple of photos in the past are still there. They work in teams with the older guy spending his entire day wandering the beach in search of women. Then he relays the info to his younger buddy, who sets up his umbrella and chair in perfect position and waits for his partner to arrive so they can attempt to strike up conversations with their prey.
There is a new guy who walks the beach all day wearing a stylish white fedora. You can't miss him as he is more tan than anyone else on the beach. Actually pretty polite and harmless. Unfortunately, he tries to hit on any woman who appears to be a first-timer, or one that is alone. Speaking of alone women, it has become harder and harder for a single woman to enjoy this wonderful beach. Most try to tune out the creepers by wearing ear buds or covering their eyes. Yet, they are continually interrupted by some dude who wants to know where they got their towel, or beach cart, or umbrella. LET ME GIVE YOU SOME SHOPPING ADVICE, YOU CAN FIND ALL OF THAT STUFF AT WALMART. EVEN THE SUNTAN LOTION THAT YOU CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET. You don't have to ask the single woman trying to tune you out where to get it. It's laughable.
This week was spring break. We felt sorry for the groups of co-eds who wanted to give Haulover a try. They always attracted an unwanted crowd.
This year we saw two things that we have never seen on the beach over the many times that we have visited the last 15 years. One was a fight over loud music that involved a guy pulling a knife on another. Fortunately, it settled down when the police arrived. The second was a guy masturbating in front of any woman that walked by or sat down near him. I called him out on it to no avail. But then a much bigger guy basically told him he could leave before he got beaten up. Smartly, he moved...down the beach in front of another group of girls. Crazy!
The beach is divided into sections. This has been well documented in the past. We set up at the south end as there is much more space and the lifeguard stations are much cleaner and nicer. Suffice to say there is a section for everyone.
We are so lucky to have this amazing, organized, and legal clothing optional beach. So accessible. Can't recommend it highly enough. Just wish the creepers (why are they always guys?) would get the message and leave people alone. Unfortunately, it's the same at any CO beach in the U.S.

The beach itself is very clean and wide with little to no ocean debris. It's a magnificent shoreline, with bright sand and crystal blue water, extending almost 2 miles from the south side to the north. It was quite a pleasure to walk along the beach. It feels like a calm place. Not like other places nearby. You don't have to deal with crowds here. Perfect spot for sunbathing, walking or just relaxing. Note that the north part of the beach is clothes optional. It was my first experience and I would like to try it out again. One of the nicest and quietest beaches in Miami. Hint: DO NOT take a bus to get here from Miami. Otherwise, you will stuck in the traffic for all eternity.

One of the best beaches in South Florida. Ample parking for $6 on a weekday, umbrella and chair rental, lifeguards, restrooms and showers all available at this beach. Beach is quietly nestled into a park area, you don't have buildings hovering over you like you do at many South Florida beaches. Ocean was easy to swim in here, shallow wading area with a nice sandbar at low tide. Yes, there is a clothing optional area, there were folks of all shapes, sizes and preferences there, it appeared to be a "no judgement" zone with no gawkers.

This beach was exactly the same as we had left it about 40 years ago with very few small changes. Although the biggest one was the nude beach but it is out of sight if you aren't looking for it, we weren't and we never saw single bare bum. We grew up in Miami and went to this beach at least once a week. It was like stepping back in time to our childhood. From the tunnel that echoes to the terraza floors. Not to mention that the beach itself is wide and beautiful. It was amazing to us that although everything else along the strip AKA Collins is so very different with all the high rises this spectacular stretch of beach remains simplicitically the same. What a TREASURE!

Gorgeous beach near Vegan friendly restaurants and a whole bunch of parking spaces - cheap. What else to ask for a wonderful Day! Please go early Because it does fill up even on weekdays. And if you are Vegan like me, then arrange your day for morning with a lunch time picnic at Haulover Beach, then dinner at one of the many Vegan and Vegan-friendly restaurants that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. Fun! And enjoy!

The beach is especially well kept and clean. After recently visiting Hollywood Beach we were astounded by the difference such a short distance away.
Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. A food truck comes during mid day.
The clothing optional area often has men who seem to be on the prowl.
After a complaint one guy was told to leave by authorities so that is one good point.
The beach area to the south is family friendly.

Haulover Beach feels like *the* clothing optional beach in the United States that really has its sh*t together (read: this does not necessarily mean it's always the best choice for everyone). Located on the north end of Miami beach (denoted by lots of signage and pink lifeguard huts), it happened to be the location for our first social nude experience and we think it was the right choice. While there seems to be much debate on whether beaches or clubs/resorts are "better" for the first-timer and we see merit to both sides of this argument, we think beaches are at least more accessible and less intimidating to your average newbie.
Haulover in particular is not only unique because of its relatively urban setting (think South Beach) within a major city, but also for the amenities offered. Parking is well established and relatively inexpensive (I think it was $6 for the day when we went?), beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach itself (cash only -- but there is an ATM at the restaurant adjacent to the parking area), and there is a food truck that actually pulls up onto the beach itself and sells burgers, salads, water, soft drinks, smoothies, and more (BYOB if that's your thing -- technically I believe alcohol is prohibited on the beach, but never known to actually be enforced as long as use is subtle and behavior is under control).
In addition to the service staff and lifeguards mentioned above, another thing that sets Haulover aside from most clothing optional beaches is the presence of the Beach Ambassadors (a program orchestrated by South Florida Free Beaches). They are not only familiar, friendly faces and great resources for your FAQ, but serve as a neighborhood watch of sorts that has helped to keep the beach in good standing with local authorities over the years, and serves as a first line of defense in educating beach-goers and reducing the amount of undesirable conduct from people who may be there for the wrong reasons. That said, it does not mean the beach is perfect. Given its location and ease of access, it will still attract a small share of creepers, fluffers, and fully-clothed people who will stand there (or walk the beach) to gawk at the nudies, but they are generally largely outnumbered by the wholesome good natured folks that are present for all the right reasons.
In closing, Haulover is a great choice and for many is regarded as the gold standard of clothing optional beach operations in the United States. It is a sight to behold and many wonderful experiences have been had. That said, it is definitely quite the scene unto itself, and on popular days with glorious weather you can expect to be packed in pretty close proximity to your neighbors, whereas other beaches (like Blind Creek for example) are often far more spread out, less noisy, and more "peaceful". Regardless of your personal preference, if you haven't been there before and you find yourself in the Miami area, Haulover is definitely worth a visit.

My partner and I wanted a day in the sun, on the beach, while visiting Miami. Friends had told us about a naturist beach at Haulover Beach Park. We inquired at the park, learned the location, and headed off to enjoy the beautiful weather. It’s obvious the park has given the naturists a lot of consideration in its choice of location, and has gone to great lengths to ensure a friendly and safe atmosphere. There is a staffed lifeguard tower, a food truck, and best of all, a person who rents out chairs and umbrellas! Makes a trip to the beach easy peasy. Parking areas are quite a walk from the location, but I felt it kept the “Looky Loos “ at bay. Let’s face it, there are no fashion models here, nor any buffed up muscled up guys, just ordinary folks of all ages, some with children, enjoying the beach and the sun. We were very comfortable here, returned twice, and will certainly return next time we are in the area.

A piece of haven here in The United States of America. We urge everyone to visit this fantasy place.

In the Miami area we decided to return to Haulover for a few days. Our experience was as good as our first. The beach was clean with no seaweed this time. The food truck continues to serve very good casual food at reasonable prices. The weather was comfortable for early February. Clothing optional area is available for those who like an all over tan. People are respectful and friendly. Great public beach with restroom and showers available to rinse off at the end of the day. Reasonable and accessible parking. Will continue to return when in the Maimi area.

Went down this past week for our second trip. This beach is a great place just to let go. I agree that the single guys who just creep around (some fully clothed ) just to get a look at whomever is the only downside. The majority of the people there were just sitting back having a great time. My wife and I are newbies to the nude beach but felt very relaxed here and are looking forward to our next adventure. We never felt judged by our body types here. All sizes, shapes and ages enjoying the sand, surf and sun. Parking lot is close by so very short walk. Cannot wait to return to enjoy Haulover again, hopefully very soon.

Went to the clothing optional section and had a great experience. Arrived on a Thursday morning early not sure of the setup. Met David to rent a lounge chair and umbrella. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He is a great young man and a asset to his company and the beach itself. Tip him well.
The beach was very clean. The was a good truck every day that served pretty great food. Plenty of lifeguards. An area within the CO section to rinse/cool off. The restroom was *outside* the CO section. Clearly marked boundaries to the CO section which was by far more used than the clothing required sections on either side.
I took Lyft or the bus to the beach rather than deal with traffic or parking myself. Parking is available across the street (Collins Ave - very busy road) but tunnels from the lot to the beach.
A great experience. Safe. Everyone did there own thing and didn't bother others (except for the occasional smoker if you are downwind).
I will definitely return. Ask for David and tip him well!!

Visited mid week during Spring Break and the nudist area was surprisingly busy. There weren’t loads of Spring Breakers but there was definitely a younger crowd than usual, mostly couples or very small groups, both mixed and same sex. You could easily spot most of the Breakers due to the time it took before plucking up courage to strip off and several girls kept their thongs on. They weren’t behaving like the bawdy Spring Breakers you would expect on South Beach or playing games and it was great to see youth enjoying the au natural experience. There was also a larger than usual 30-40 year old presence, perhaps nudism is slowly shedding it’s reputation for being predominantly old men!

It was a clean beach. It had easy access and parking across the highway (north parking lot) for only $10. We rented chairs and canopy. The only issue was a man lingering by the storage box for the umbrellas and masturbating.

Nice rock formations to explore, with lots of driftwood on the right side and some cool cave passages. Good wading area.

Haulover Park is a great beach! It was not crowded but then again it was a Monday. I was able to get a good swim and just unwind and listen to a piece of music in what I got into this world. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded at all.

This is a review of the c/o side.
Really want to give this beach another circle but the creepers bothered me during our visits. This is not our first time to c/o as we frequent c/o resorts and beaches. This is the first time however we've seen men masturbating! We visited this beach four times and in those four times caught three different men masturbating! One actually positioned his chair so his angle was where he could see between this woman's legs. I would have liked to report it but wasn't sure who to report it to. The beach wasn't patrolled.
On several occasions we saw clothed men with cellphones out. Not sure if they were taking pictures, but one person we saw with a cell phone was behind the beach chair rental storage holding his cellphone up.
Seaweed was very bad the first two days. Clumps of it were in the water. Was only able to swim at this beach twice. Water was warm but waves were rough.

The day after a storm we found coconuts. Love the freedom of the beach, can’t wait to go back in the near future!

My wife and I visited Haulover (CO) beach last week. Our first time there - not our first time at a nude beach. It was easy to get there from the parking lot, not a lot of walking. Surprisingly it was quite a large beach. We stayed in the 'couples' section (nearer the textile section), there were many other couples nearby. The water was expectedly quite cool but we stilled enjoyed our day. No gawkers or the like that I could see. Highly recommend it for anyone thinking about trying nude sunbathing.

we visited Haulover clothing optional aka nude beach the first week in May.
Ive(60yr) been a part time nudist for over 20 years. My wife has never tried it nor supported it. We scheduled a stay in a Sunny Isle condo for 7 days. A few days prior to departure I mentioned that Haulover beach is similar to Orient Beach on St Martin where they have a regular beach and a clothing optional side. We have been to St Martin on a Cruise stop and we had set up on the regular side. She never walked to the other side while I did but she was exposed to topless bathers as its common all over St Martin.
I tried to explain that being topless or nude is a culture issue and not a moral one.
Anyways the original idea was to visit Haulover beach but set up on the regular side (either by lifeguard station #17 or #11)and I could walk over to get some all over sun. The morning of our first visit to the beach she surprised me and said she would go with me. We were staying about 2 miles away and thought we would walk and so we did.
It took about 45 mins walking south on Collins ave (A1A) on the ocean side(which avoids having to stop for redlights). We carried 2 chairs, umbrella, and small soft cooler.
The walkway that runs parallel to the beach is really nice and wide with some morning shade. There are joggers, walkers, bike riders that also use the path. We stopped at the 2nd restroom we saw(Yellow) and then took the path to the beach(tower 13).The next 4 times we went to the beach we took the “S” bus from Sunny Isles to just past the last redlight before the Park. We would walk back to the red light cross walk to get to the ocean side of the Park. When we would leave to go back to the condo we would use the bus stop near the Yellow colored restroom .
We set up between tower 13 and 14 about straight out from where the B&B Café food truck sets up.
It was about 10 am and the beach was still not busy but as time went by it became very busy with people. We lasted until about 3pm. Without an umbrella we would not have lasted that long. We packed Cuban sandwiches from the local Publix grocery store along with a coke and several gatoraids.Wife slowly became used to seeing naked people. Most guys were completely nude….Some girls started off wearing bikinis but later went topless….those who started off topless eventually become nude….some like my wife kept their swimsuits on….I was surprised that majority of the people where in the 30-40’s yrs range…I was expecting older…Older snowbirds have gone by this time?..I was also surprised that the majority of people were in
Better shape than what I was expecting….It appeared that a lot of the people were foreign. Europeans/ South Americans. Later on in the week we saw more Americans….The weather was perfect….we had 3 green flag days-2 Yellow flag days….Seaweeds were only small pieces that showed up on the yellow flag days….The sand is very fine….water was somewhat warm….only saw a couple of guys stroking themselves where they sat….Single Guys always out number the single girls but there were a number of single girls or in groups of 2.
Some advantages of Haulover CO beach is that it just seems “normal” as it’s a public beach with no locked gate to go through….no ID required….no cost(unless you park)..you don’t have to be completely nude to swim(as required at nudist resorts)-this is important if 1 partner are not comfortable in being completely nude. There is some security at Haulover and I did see a beach ambassador 2 different days but its not as tight as what would you have at a nudist resort. Camera phones were in use but it appeared to be selfies or couples taking individual pics but who really knows?...Camera phones are pretty much banned at nudist resorts….OVERALL we almost felt we were in the Caribbean. If you catch Haulover beach on a nice warm sunny calm day it would compare to being at Orient Beach in St Martin on a comparable day.

Because of Hurricane Irma we thought that we were missing out on a vacation to Orient Beach so we booked a trip to Florida instead. What a pleasant surprise Haulover Beach turned out to be. Although the sand isn't quite as nice as it is in the Caribbean and the water is a couple of degrees cooler the beach itself is awesome. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying the sun, sand and freedom as well as the benefit of no tan lines. Can't wait to back again in the spring.

My wife and I were looking for an alternative to the clothing optional beach in St. Maarten as we aren't able to make that trip this year. Haulover Beach proved to be a good substitute. Parking was easy and the beach is very nice. Crowd was a good mix of ages and body types. We were there on a couple weekdays so it was not overly crowded; close enough to be social but also enough space to spread out a bit. There were some obvious gawkers that would move up and down the beach but we've come to expect that at any public clothing optional beach. When we aren't able to get to St. Maarten this will be our beach of choice.

It is so rare to find a clothing optional beach in the U.S. and Haulover is a diamond of a beach. Whether you want to wear a bathing suit or have that "no tan line" look this is the place to be. Nobody judges anyone and you can let it all hang loose. There is nothing like being naked on the beach and skinny dipping in 85f crystal clear waters.

Very Nice beach, very clean park
Picnic area is shaded and has grills
Bathrooms with outdoor showers
RV parking
Bike rentals
I saw a sign for a dog friendly part of the beach
More families and less crowded then south Beach
There seems to be a bayside of the park too
Paid lot parking it was $7 for the day

Love this beach- parking is across street wi walmways underneath road to get to beach. If you want to be by nudist beach side park in first lot if there is room-you will need to pay forparking$10 weekends and$7 weekdays this year-make sure you know your license plate number before you go to pay. There is nocarts or shuttles that take you from parking lot to beach so be prepared to haul your gear in bags. There are chair and umbrella rentals on beach-didnt rent any this year but heard that two chairs with one umbrella was running $30.

My wife and I visited this world famous naturist beach on a November Saturday. Having been here years before, we can attest to the popularity of this amazing beach. Parking is at the marina across the street and a pedestrian tunnel leads under the road to the beach entrance where the clothing optional sign welcomes all. This is where most gather on the smaller section of shoreline. The atmosphere is great in this no judgement destination where most are clothes free. There are lifeguards and even a small food truck for basic food and beverages. Having been here twice previously this was by far the most crowded we’ve seen Haulover. South Florida Free Beaches has done a phenomenal job by creating and maintaining this naturist haven that all should experience.

Haulover Beach park is large...from the dog park/beach and bicycle rentals/bike park on one end to the world famous naturist beach on the north end of it's 1.4 miles.

1st off, this was my first public nude experience and that is a HUGE deal for me especially given my body image issues. But I love this beach. Clean. The people are respectful and friendly. Parking is anywhere between $5 and $7. The chairs, umbrellas, and lounges cost, cash only. See picture for pricing.

A very nice beach in Miami. You can take your own beach chair and umbrella or you may rent it for the day at a very reasonable price. There are no restaurants, but around noon you will find a food truck. The beach is big enough that you are not in top of each other. Notice clothing optional, so if you dont mind nudity it is the place to go. Plenty of Parking accross the way and a tunnel will take you to the beach without having to cross Collins Ave

My husband and I made a return visit to Haulover Beach this weekend and while there were many positives there was one major negative that needs to be addressed by the South Florida Free Beaches Association.
But first the positives. The beach was clean and the water was beautiful. And although David no longer runs the lounge chair/umbrella concession the new attendants were awesome. The vast majority of beach attendees were friendly and respectful of our space.
But the issue of creepers as has been addressed in several other reviews has been become a serious problem. Not only is the constant parade of single nude or clothed men an issue but much more serious is the unacceptable practice of nude single men sitting in their small beach chairs within 10 feet of our location staring directly at me from several different angles, fondling themselves multiple times and making indecent gesture with their mouths.
As a result of this behavior we decided to leave the beach well before our intended departure time. I suggest that there be a posted phone number where a beach goer could call and report this behavior and seek some relief. We tried moving but that did not help.
I hope this can help resolve this issue because my husband and I love this unique beach experience and have made multiple trips here over the last five years. And I suspect from our observations and the reviews of other beach goers this is not an isolated incident that we experienced.

We decided to explore the famous Haulover Beach and park. Easy walk to the beach. Parking was a little confusing..but not bad. Was unsure of what to expect once we entered the nude beach, but easy access and very clean. Bathroom was a bit small and no real comfortable shower to rinse off and clean up before heading back to the parking area.

This is the place for couple love! This are really attracts a lot of great tourists all just looking to get to know each other. What an amazing find. There's an overwhelming feeling of closeness there. If you come to visit Miami with friends or significant others, this places is a must.

been there a few times while traveling, always a fun experience, safe, anonymous, beautiful regular people enjoying a clean white stretch of Florida coastline.

Many naturist beaches tend to be isolated and inaccessible. That isn't true for Haulover. Situated on Collins Avenue to the north of Miami it has excellent parking and public transport links (the 120 and 119 metrobuses stop at the beach).
In contrast to Sunny Isles beach, which it is next to, it isn't blighted by high rise buildings but retains a natural setting.
We visited to experience the naturist section of the beach.
Toilet and shower facilities are available, although you need to be clothed to visit the restroom.
Food is available from a food van which has a wide selection of food and drink.
Lifeguards oversee the beach for the safety of the patrons.
Some of the negatives are as follows:
- The sea can be very rough but there are warnings via the use of flags on the lifeguard huts.
- There is a lot of seaweed in the sea.
- Rental of sunbeds ($20) and umbrellas ($25) is very expensive.
A great place for naturists to visit which loses a star for the cost of renting beds and umbrellas.

Very nice respectful place to go to. Tunnel number 3 to park in front of. For clothing optional beach. With showers and clean bathrooms. Take plenty of sun tanning lotion.

Not sure if this is the only clothing optional beach in Florida but I was there on a Friday and Saturday and the beach was chill and quite. The beach itself close to south beach but far enough away to not be a big scene. Parking was $6-7 a day.

We recently spent a few days in Florida visiting from Arizona. My Husband and I and are 8 year old son spent a few days at Haulover. a few other reviews had bad things to say about this beach. But we thought it was great. Our Son who wasn't sure if he wanted to participate in being nude, soon felt comfortable enough to shed his clothes, And even found a few other children to play with on the beach. He now says he wished all beaches were nude beaches. Only thing we wished was that there was bathroom facility closer by. But overall great beach, and we will likely return here with our son the next time we are in Florida

Made the mistake of going to the boat ramp on a nice Sunday afternoon! Waited on line for over an hour sitting in the truck on Collins Avenue just to get into the park! Not enough parking spots for boats with trailers. If you're gonna use this ramp, do it very early!

If you are ever in the North Miami beach area this is truly a must see if you are adventurous. This naturist beach is truly a gift and its location (central and accessible to all) makes it even more a treasure. On this trip we were able to meet other very friendly people out to just enjoy the elements of this beach. No judgements here. Wonderful beach, wonderful people. Freedom at it's best. I need to find a way to retire here.
Only downside was it was hard getting an uber to the right location for both pick up and drop off.

Visited Haulover Beach in Miami on a weekday. Lots of traffic getting there but there is plenty of parking. You park and pay and then walk under the road to the beach. Spent time on the textile and the clothing optional sides. Nice clothing optional experience, you must try it. Both were nice and very relaxed. Surf was kind of rough but the water was warm. Good restrooms by the beach and there is a snack truck on the CO side, plus chairs and umbrellas to rent.

I was in Haulover park with friends and family and had a great time. It’s a wonderful park for families and kids and especially for the flying kites. You can spend the whole day there and a great time.

Family visiting and wanted to take them to see the beach. Parking is a flat rate of $7.00 which is good for someone who is staying for a while. We were there under 1 hour. The one good thing is the tunnel you walk thru to get across to the beach. I can't imagine getting way across to the beach with kids in tow with that busy street. Thank God somebody was thinking.. this could easily be an enjoyable day with family

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful ten day vacation in southern Florida, and spent every day at Haulover. We were blessed with spectacular weather and warm water.
As I have said in previous annual reports, this is our favorite beach destination and we try to visits a couple of times from the cold northeast.
We were sad to see that David no longer works for the company that rents out chair and umbrellas, and heard a number of beach-goers express the same sentiments. He was a gem. According to his boss, he left to work in a restaurant. However, according to some of the other workers he was fired. Bummer. The new guys manning the operation are okay, but they don't have the customer service that David was known for.
Every year we see a number of regulars enjoying the clothing-optional beach and soaking up the sun. It really is fun to see them year in and year out. However, we also see the usual gang of creepy guys that spend endless hours stalking up and down the beach in search of young women to sit next to; often when the entire beach is open. This is no different than any other clothing-optional beach that we have visited. We saw the same behavior at Black's Beach last year. On the one hand it is hilarious, but on the other, it is disgusting.
At Haulover I have begun to name the various creepers. They still have the "Desperate Creepers". These are the old guys that we see every year setting up conveniently at the foot of unsuspecting young women. They are harmless and kind of pathetic. A similar group are the older guys that are regulars that come across as trying to protect the young ladies, but actually use their gift of gab to gain acceptance, only to get closer to their prey. I call them the "Pathetic Sneeky Creepers". You still have the "Well-endowed Creepers" who are guys that like to parade or simply stand in front of young ladies to show off their wares. And finally, what my wife terms the "Disgusting Creepers" . These are the guys of similar age to the young ladies, who lack the social skills to actually meet someone in a normal setting, so they figure they will have better luck on a nude beach. You can tell these characters by their bright red skin (from being out all day long searching in the Florida sun), their backward rally (baseball) cap, single bottle of water that is almost gone, and mirrored sunglasses. They usually lack a towel so the fashion some sort of spot to sit on using their t-shirt and gym shorts. That makes it easier to move around when their object of desire undoubtedly tells him to shove off.
As I have described before, this gang of characters usually surround a single or group of younger women like vultures. Ironically, they ultimately fail at making an impression, the women get freaked and leave, ruining their experience. It is no surprise that the average age at Haulover (and most clothing-optional beaches) closer to retirement than college, except for the men. It is also interesting that in the fifteen years of visiting this beach, my wife and I have never seen a woman exhibiting the same behavior. Fortunately, Haulover has a wonderful group of beach ambassadors that do their best to help people out and make them feel welcome. I actually saw one of them, who happens to be wheelchair-bound, pull his chair between one particular creeper and two young ladies to block his view and confront him. Not particularly interesting until one considers that the guy had plopped down two feet from them so that he could lay spread-eagle and stare. I went over and thanked the ambassador after that one! Great job.
My only reason for discussing this issue here is because it has gotten worse, and is starting to ruin our experience, and I am sure others. Sadly, I am not really sure what the answer is. Perhaps spending more time at this otherwise great spot than usual makes me more sensitive, because I usually just laugh it off as pathetic. But the behavior is definitely ruining the experience for younger women. I know that I certainly wouldn't recommend it to my daughters. Not that it is dangerous, but because it is such a hassle.

Beautiful, friendly, laid back, safe, central, free and clothing optional. You could not ask for more, for better. Plus, no snakes, no apple trees – heh. Go, explore, respect and enjoy.

My wife and I have been going here for the last 4 years visiting for about 3 weeks each year. We have always enjoyed the beach and only once had a creepy guy approach us. We simply ignored him and he soon got the hint and left. We have found that being we are a couple if we pick a spot by other couples then the creeps stay away and the other couples are very friendly to us as well. Another way to keep creeps away would be to pick a spot close to the lifeguards. Enough about creep prevention. It’s a great beach, the food truck is super and the people working it are always friendly. It’s a short walk to the parking lot and clean public restrooms along with outside showers to rinse off. This beach is our main reason for visiting this part of Florida numerous times every year.

Had 2 days here, driving down from St Augustine because the weather looked really nice with temps in the 80s in January! First day at HBP we stopped right at the first entrance and came out to the lovely beach that I had not seen since the 90s with mostly young men around so the wife and I walked just a bit to the right and plopped down for a few hours---pleasant but not our kind of music. The next day we walked a bit further to the right, getting there early enough to get a front row seat amongst a few other couples like us. Really pleasant spot and by the time we left at about noon, we were surrounded with similar folks having fun au naturel. Wish we had this in St A!

We spent a good part of our Miami vacation in Haulover park at the beach and marina. We went out twice on a party boat and totally enjoyed the staff's personalities both times. The downside was bathrooms were locked and chairs and umbrellas are expensive

Parking is $6 for week days, $7 for weekend and holiday. Pay at station with credit card or cash.
It will always be necessary to go through the tunnel and up the stairs. There's no room for parking on the beach side. The lot on the west side is large enough for all but the busiest holidays.
The seaweed was still present but not too bad. The waves are nearly not existing. There's a sandbar just off the beach and a reef about a mile out. They keep the waves down.
The water temperature was still in the upper 80s in late September. Everyone is friendly. There are about 3 men for every woman, but I've never seen any harassment. There's a good mix of couples and individuals with some male couples, some female couples, and some individuals of both genders.
Gay males still gather at the north end.
Lifeguards are present. The food truck arrives about 11am. Prices are fair. The volleyball net is gone, but there are several huts, usually occupied by several men.

We recently spent four days in the Ft. Lauderdale area and went to the naturalist side of Haulover Beach for two of those days. The beach is wide, very clean, and on nice days has perfect blue water. There is a sand bar about 100 yards out in the ocean and you can stand the whole way to it and a little beyond. The week we visited, there was a lot of seaweed at the Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood Beaches, but not at Haulover. That's what grabbed our attention on the first day. They have umbrellas ($15/day) and lounge chairs ($10/day) for rent. There is also a food truck if you want to eat. Everybody on the beach was friendly though there were a couple of single guys who appeared a bit on the perverted/odd side. But you'll find that anytime you are at a nude beach and overall our experience was very positive. Would not hesitate to go back! Parking is $6/day and the lot is across the highway from the beach. You'll need to use the underground tunnels to get past the highway and to the beach area.

Visited this beach on a Thursday and it was overcast but what a wonderful place! This was our first visit to a nude beach and while we were nervous about it, everyone was very nice that we spoke to. Many have been going for years and explained that it was optional to go nude. It was very liberating and people were walking all over and saying hello. They have lounge chairs for rent and a food truck as well. Cannot wait to go back!

Not to busy on a Wednesday, people were spread out nicely. Rented chairs and an umbrella, decent prices. Very pretty area, very nice people.

Haulover Beach & Park is a real insider tip – spacious, clean and pleasantly unexcited. Not a crowded party beach, but just a nice place to relax, swim and enjoy the sun.
We particularly liked the wide sandy beach with enough space for everyone, whether families, couples or solo travelers. If you like, you can even find a textile-free section that is very respectful and well-groomed – for those who appreciate freedom and naturalness.
The adjacent park is also great – with picnic areas, food trucks, parking lots and even a dog meadow. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the view of the sea fantastic.
Conclusion: If you want to spend a relaxing beach day in Miami, away from the South Beach hustle and bustle, this is the place for you.

I liked the fact it wasn't too busy in July. Compared to south beach, Haulover beach was more quite and enjoyable. Easy access from the parking lots.

We have been to this beach many times and love it! Off season when winter birds are not there and weekdays are best as it is way less crowded.
They have food trucks, beach chairs and cabanas to rent. They also have clean bathrooms and showers. Beach shower available too.
People are typically not gawking at all, lots of respect each time we've gone. Some go nude partially nude or clothed and it's all ok. Just be prepared to use lots of sunscreen on sensitive parts!
It is and has been our beach of choice.

Good Clothing Optional beach, Park in North Parking Lot that leads to the Nude Section. On Beach showers just before going onto the path that you need to wear cloths on to parking lot. Beach rental was 20.00 for Chair and 25.00 for umbrella so 45.00 per day. But great to be comfortable and off the Sand.

I would say we visit this beach about once every 2-3 months on average. I'll start with the good things. It has pretty ample parking and for $7 dollars for a full day the price is fair. It has food vending trailers on the beach so you can walk over without having to get dressed which is really convenient. It also has showers which is nice because you can pack up everything while naked trek over to the showers and rinse off and get dressed there bringing pretty minimal sand back to the car with you as well. I'll use the showers as my intro to the negative, because there are always a few creepers lingering around the showers. This beach definitely has gawkers, creepers, creeps, weirdos whatever you want to call them. It is what it is, and you are at a public beach so they have just as much of a right to be there as you do. Some are blatantly staring at people while snaking their way through the crowd fully clothed when it is 95 degrees out. Others try and blend in a little better by sitting down in the sand still fully clothed with no towel or anything. Like I said it is what it is and that's just part of the haulover experience. If you can look past that part, it honestly is a really good time. It's normally pretty crowded with a bunch of fun people just enjoying their freedom and letting go of their inhibitions. We always enjoy ourselves, and its fun to watch people come for their first time and dare each other to get naked slowly. Then within an hour or two they are fully naked and walking around swimming in the ocean completely happy and free.
P.S. If it's not to far Blind Creek beach is a good nude beach option up in Ft. Pierce. Definitely not as crowded, and does not have showers or food, but far less gawkers if any and it has more of an old Florida natural beach type of feel.

I enjoyed my visit to Haulover Beach!!! It was sooo relaxing. No one cares about shapes/sizes. It was great to swim in the ocean naked.

I love the beach, but this beach has fast become my favorite. The vibe and energy is very laid back and chill, everyone just lets it all hangout.
A small section of the beach is clothing optional. You have many public facilities and even some food and drink options right on the beach.
Umbrellas and chairs are on the high side but well worth it.

My wife and I have gone to Haulover many, many times. Since we moved to the Gulf Coast we have not been there in the past several years. Two weeks ago we decided to go again. The clientele seems to have changed. There were a lot more gawkers than I remember, so much so that made my wife feel uneasy. I understand guys liking to look but some seemed to be downright rude and too obvious. Maybe we just hit a bad day.

So don’t miss it!
The shore was covered with seaweed so I didn’t go into the water.
But you can still relax backed on the beach - which is fun!

The kind of beach you come to Florida for. Lots and lots of sand with plenty of space to spread out!

Great beach easy to get to from the parking lot. I would suggest you avoid this beach on the weekend days there are too many A holes that insist on blasting their music and they refuse to turn it down.

We totally loved the naturist beach following our Carnival Cruise before heading back home to reality
Clean and secure - regular municipal patrols - nice food truck - decent chairs and umbrellas at a sensible price - loads of parking nearby ($6 day)

When I read rak58's review, I thought, hopefully yhey were exaggerating: however I'm afraid they were not.
I just returned from spending 8 days at Haulover Park Beach. Within an hour of my wife's and my first arrival on the clothing optional beach, a young man sat down nearby, facing us and a young woman beside us, and was obviously doing something under his towel. The young woman noticed this disgusting behavior, as did two young men sitting nearby.
When the woman got up and headed to the life guard station to complain, the man hurriedly got up and scurried away.
As a consequence my wife refused to return to the beach with me for the rest of our vacation (except for briefly on our last afternoon). It had taken me a long time to coax my wife into going to clothing optional beaches – now thanks to that person it has set us back some in that regard.
I saw old men plop themselves down mere feet away from nude young women and literally begin staring from that close proximity.
Almost every weekday around 4 pm – presumably after they get off work - young men start “patrolling” - fully clothed in their groups - looking for naked young women. One time a group of four of them spotted two young women in the water taking a dip, and so they shamelessly gathered right at their towels (!) waiting for these women to emerge from swimming and return to their places! The poor women had to wait it out in the chilly ocean until these gentlemen finally moved away a few more feet from the women's towels!
I saw another group of four fully clothed young men actually approach two nude young women near me and ask if they could take their pictures! They of course replied that they wouldn't be comfortable with that.
Throughout my eight days at Haulover I saw countless fully clothed / non-nude men of all ages wandering throughout the the clothing optional beach, appearing to be perpetually “looking” for something … .
I never saw any beach ambassadors but I was there only during weekdays when these volunteers may well have been at work themselves.
I have adult daughters and daughters-in-law to whom I would never recommend this clothing optional beach, for the above reasons.
However, I myself will still return, as 98% of the people there are respectful of one another and make Haulover a pleasant place notwithstanding.

The regular and naturist beach is separated by a mere rickety fence and a sign that says you may encounter nude sunbathing! But this is unmistakable as the beach was packed on the naturist side and it sunbathers we’re (more) actively walking around, swimming and chatting. Seems lovely and mostly harmless. There are several men walking around eyeing people up but they never seemed to bother anybody. An interesting and fun place to spend some time not to mention, you can strut your stuff!

I was visiting Ft Lauderdale on a sort of personal recon mission to checkout the area as a possible place to live. I read about Haulover Beach as apparently one of the best nude beaches in the country, so I decided to pay it a visit while I was out there, as I just recently went to a nude beach for the first time (Black's Beach, Lajolla, CA) and loved it! When I got there, I was expecting to see at least a few people lounging and walking around nude, but to my unpleasant surprise, everyone was clothed. It turns out not all of Haulover Beach is a nude beach. In fact most of it is not; only a small section of it is. I'd say about the first 1/4 to 1/2 mile stretch of the beach is nude, as you track south down Collins Ave. The easiest way to find it from the street is to look for the yellow lighthouse and the parking lot on the opposite side. Once you're on the beach, just look for the pink lifeguard towers, starting with number 13. Though smaller than Black's beach, I loved it even more on account of the MUCH easier access, and the tropical island vibe. Also, a greater percentage of the people there were nude, and of all shapes and sizes, male and female. If you're new to nude beaching, this is an excellent place to start, as it shouldn't take all that much for you to get comfortable takin it all off. The parking was also easy and reasonably priced. I was there on a weekend, and there was plenty of parking, for $7 for the whole day. So if you're looking for a nude beach to go to in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area, this is it! Awesome beach!

February,March 2025
If you love dogs, and surfing this is the place for you. The dogs are off lease between certain areas.
There's also an inlet where boats, yachts, seadoos will be seen from the beach.
Waves are mostly present 80%.
The beach is wide with no buildings to cast shade.
Parking is Pay by phone, one price 7.25 all day (one fixed price no matter how long you stay).
Sand us very clean considering there are digs roaming around all day.
One of the cleanest beaches we've been to.
Clear ocean water, beautiful color.

This beach is not a "must visit" as such but if you are looking for a naturist beach - this is your only option I am afraid - no other licensed beaches are available in Florida!
It's over 3/4 of a mile long tmo, with some food wagon on northern part available during my visit, and it's not great - hot dog is as good as it gets there. Plus a few drinks.
Many shower / toilet blocks just outside the sandy beach zone, so if you are in Naturists part - dress up for those!
5 life saving stations, not all open though, along the beach with flags - top - for sea condition and bottom - for dangerous marine life. We only saw red flag (no swimming on 2 occasions in 3 weeks, but bottom flag stayed on pretty much the whole time - we saw a few Portuguese Man-of-War jelly fish-like animals there, and they sting hard so avoid!). Sharks pass in spring and autumn where newspapers are full of articles with attacks, rarely lethal. I saw a huge Hammer-Head swimming there, easily 7-8 feet long, and a massive, over 7 feet in diameter Stung Ray.
Beach is rarely combed, and beds and umbrellas are expensive, so most regulars bring their own, or just lay on towels. No sexual activities permitted on the beach.
Volleyball courts are very popular. Not many swimmers. Gay part of the beach is located towards the Northern side of it, towards Trump Towers, where you can grab a great posh (and expensive) breakfast or lunch.
Beach is closed at night, but take a walk along the promenade - you will see dozens of stray cats coming out at night - cool!

I use the park for my morning walking exercise. There are people running, walking and biking on the path. It is a nice place for picnicking and, of course, the Beach. Oh, by the way, a part of the beach is set aside for nudists.

Clean safe not too hot nobody bothers you went with my wife had a great time lots of couples single man you can rent chairs umbrellas we brought water beer food real great beach

After visiting the nude beaches in CA for most of our lives, my wife and I decided to check out Haulover while we were in the Miami area for work. Like most nude beaches, there were more single guys and very few women. We were there in February and the weather was perfect, about 80 every day and humidity this time of year which was nice. The beach was clean and the water a little chilly but again this was the winter time. People who live in CA don't tend to visit Florida but we are glad we checked this nude beach off of our list. One and done.

Great beach to visit have no problems here. Great with friends, family, and etc. I recommend here for everyone.

We honestly aren't huge fans of Miami as a whole, but this is a must-visit for us when in town. The beach is a sight to behold and a great experience for any first time naturists, in our opinion. While it may not be as pure as some private clubs, it is easy to blend in at your own pace without any forced socialization (if you would prefer not to). Convenient restrooms, showers, marina, and food truck.

We always enjoy stopping in to stay for a few hours at Haulover when we're in town. The beaches are clean and offer full-service (chairs, umbrellas, etc). They're staffed by lifeguards and have nearby, easy to access public restrooms.

A flat / no-hills metropolitan-area county-park beach with a designated nude area.
Beach is on Atlantic Ocean side of A1A, while the pay-by-credit-card-at-machine $7 all-day parking is accessed via turn-off lanes on the west or southbound side of A1A.
Minimal walking is required through the pedestrian tunnels under A1A that connect the parking lots to the beach, making it easy to carry beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and beverages.
From Miami Beach to the south or from Aventura Mall to the north, Metro Dade Bus #119 (local) and #120 (Beach Max express) drop off at the beach. Please see transit agency website or Google Map transit for times.
The clearly-indicated nude area is at the northern end of this county park (right south of the huge Russian-favorite Sunny Isle condos).
Park is fully serviced by Miami-Dade, complete with lifeguards, indoor change rooms, cold outdoor showers, toilets, and trash bins.
Beach is frequented by Gen Z partiers, repeat "snowbird-club" visitors, nudist families with children, and retirees alike. Atmosphere can be friendly and conversational in various languages for those who aren't seeking seclusion.

We visited the Haulover beach dog park due to the high ratings it had for pet friendly beaches. The beach is beautiful with clean sand and brisk water while the nearby dogs are very friendly with one another. The only complaints I have would be the with the hours open due to the beach closing at 3 while an individual oversees that everyone leaves immediately in a hawklike manner.

It is beautiful beach. Calm and empty. For family.
In this place you can bring your dog in rate time (8am to 3pm).
If you go to this beach, you need bring foods, drinks and beach furniture.
There is a restroom and parking.
The parking you pay a 5 dollars for a day, but you must go back until sunset.
I

Traffic is horrible going to and from the beach. Don't go during peak travel time unless you are a patient driver. Parking is pay by phone only.

Parking was easy peasy, once I'd figured out the App and only $7/day. Good Bathrooms just off the beach on the roadside. Nice beach

Nice beach. Clean and quiet. You can rent umbrellas and chairs. $15 for an umbrella and $10 for a chair....or bring your own. Parking is $6.

If you are headed to the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area and you're feeling a little adventurous, then this beach is definitely worth a visit. My wife and I were there on a Saturday in early September. The beach was well populated, with people ranging in age from 20-60+. Lots of couples, some with children, and just a casual, relaxed vibe that you would find at any clothed beach. The parking is easy and only $7 for the day. There are umbrellas and loungers for rent. And a food truck shows up around 11am with a great menu of food and drinks. There are lifeguards and police patrols, so safety is always front of mind. If you're curious about trying a nude beach, but still not sure, then Haulover is the place. You wont be disappointed, you'll just wonder why you waited so long. I can't wait to return. 🏖🌴☀️

Haulover Beach is a clothing-optional beach located south of Sunny Isles and north of Bal Harbour. Haulover Park is located on both the intercoastal Biscayne Bay as well as on the Atlantic Beach side of Miami. This review speaks to the beach experience on the Atlantic side. The area is easily accessible.
Getting there: Uber, Lyft, taxi: In years past we have used Uber and Lyft as well as taxi service. We prefer to travel via Lyft and get dropped off/picked up in the Haulover Marina parking lot. Some drivers prefer to drop us at the lighthouse but that's father than we want to walk with all our beach gear.
Getting there: Driving your own vehicle: park on the west side in the parking lot of Haulover Marina (west side of Collins/HwyA1A) after 8 am (though we've arrived earlier and had no issues). This is a pay to park site. Payment may be done at the machine or through the phone app "PayByPhone." Our daily parking fees are $6 to $8 depending on length of stay.
Moving from the vehicle to the beach: After parking follow the footpath and Boardwalk through the sea grapes and brush to an underpass of Collins and on to Haulover Beach. This path takes you to lifeguard stand number 15. It is our favorite as it is well maintained has showers has a lifeguard stand and is near the food truck and the beach chair umbrella rental service provided by Boucher Brothers. Chairs are $10 a day ; umbrellas are $15 a day. On weekdays one food truck arrives around 11 a.m and sets up around Lifeguard Stand #13.. On weekends additional trucks are on site. Now about clothing, we frequently see couples who are completely closed with their eyes darting or about them. These are people who are checking items off their bucket list and want to say they have been to a nude beach. So don't hesitate to check out the beach.
Dress code: As for clothing, most men are nude. About half the women will be topless and the other half nude. It is not unusual to see people wearing full bathing suits. All sorts of people use this beach including older people and families with young children, pregnant women and people of various sexual orientations.
Behavior: Beach ambassadors are often on hand and help the lifeguards in maintaining order. No funny business is acceptable but we frankly have never seen any on our numerous visits. If you go you will likely find the place liberating and beautiful. But please remember no glass and to pick up your trash. Bring your sunscreen, towels, flip-flops and snacks. Many tote their own chairs and umbrellas though we prefer the convenience of Boucher's rentals. Rentals are by the day.

I have visited Haulover Nudist Beach several times over past 2 years, predominantly over the winter and on a week day. Despite only being a fraction of the entire beach the clothes optional (nudist) area is where 80-90% of the visitors will be, and most of those few in the clothed area are close to the fence boundary!
The beach is kept clean, patrolled and has manned lifeguard towers all year round which all helps to keep the beach friendly without inappropriate behaviour. While the Northern end is predominantly gay and the rest couples and straight singles but there is no segregation and everyone mixes freely. While during the week there is a predominantly older crowd there all ages present including families with young children. More recently I have noticed that more and more younger people (late 20's and 30's) are using the beach. All ages, shapes and sizes are welcomed and while the vast majority are fully naked it is common to see one member of a couple being more conservative and a few ladies only topless or wearing micro g-strings. 99% of people are "well groomed" with minimal pubic hair and the vast majority (80+% women and 60+% of men) being clean shaved but anything goes and you occasionally see a "full bush".
Car park $6, toilets (off the beach so you will need to cover up to use), showers, food van, beach loungers $10, sun umbrella $15. Easy to reach by bus from South Beach.

Left our valet in the car so David with the umbrella rental went ut of his way to get us to the car. He saved our vacation day! Thank you.

I set out by myself to check out a nude beach experience. Didn't know what to expect. Being shy, it wasn't hard to do what everyone else did. The weather was great all four days. I met three nice couples through the week. On Saturday it was very crowded and just a lot of fun. I will be going again next year.

A very friendly, clean, safe and fun beach if you are not opposed to nudism. Perhaps because there are no inhibitions, people on the beach tend to be friendlier and chattier. There are "ambassadors" and police who walk around and make sure that there is no lewd behavior taking place. Bring your coolers, chairs, umbrellas and lots of sunscreen and let your buttocks get some sun! Surprisingly most south Floridians are not aware of this clothing optional beach.

Stay away ! Too many pervs masturbating as they gawk at you or your spouse/ girlfriend or masturbating watching each other ! Seems to be a cesspool for sex offenders ! We will never go back. Plenty of other naturist beaches to visit

Looong public beach with plentiful parking across the street. The south part is family friendly, with room to spread out, roughly lifeguard stations 1-11. The north part is mostly nude, lifeguard stations 12- 16. This section seems to be the most crowded with lots of people sunning, lounging and swimming. There are beach umbrella and lounge chair rentals, as well as a food truck. Outside showers are available. Saw beachgoers of both genders rinsing off in the buff. People of all ages and persuasions seemed to be welcome. It seems there were more gays in the north part, stations 15-16, and more couples and families south. There is a marina and store on the opposite side of Collins Ave. The entire beach is hidden from the street, offering privacy from non-beach goers.

This park has the food tricks every Tiesday!
They fly kites, sell fresh fish, view is beautiful.
Has a restaurant, marina, estc
Nice place to hung out and also has a boat rental place!

Beach was awesome the up keeping was good . People were super friendly , the water was nice and clear . I recommend this beach to just about anyone who's willing to live on the wild side for a couple of hours

...or youll have to go back and get it and wait in line all over again. went there a few years back. my very first nude beach. not very good weather and I didn't like it as much. plus some oddballs on the beach turned me off from it. but I decided to give it another try on 4th of July 2018. a lot of changes have been made. didnt recognize it. this time it was way beyond much better. first off you'll want to write down your vehicles license plate number. then go over to an area where you can pay by card for the 7 dollars per day parking. cross over the roads underpass tunnel. this particular day if you didn't get there early enough you would be held up waiting for 2 hours. the wait was that long. got to the beach. very crowded. the water was clean and clear except for some small black sea weed. I actually enjoyed my time this time. they even had a food truck out on the beach. people were happy and friendly and talking to each other everywhere naked. its like you look at me i look at you we all go home happy. its a whole different community of naturists down there on that beach. people are a lot more naughty with the sunblock. well don't complain when folks watch. lol. not sure id take my kids to this one, your call. but its a beautiful beach. waves werent bad at all. its the ungodly traffic you have to deal with to get to it. and being the 4th was much worse. in fort pierce, fl Hutchinson island there is an optional beach called blind creek beach. if you need a substitute. might be a lot less stressful with traffic. and more family friendly.

The park/beach offers a little more variety than the south beach scene. There are picnic areas, volleyball nets, bathrooms, showers, food trucks as well as a well known naturist beach at the far end. Rental umbrellas and lounge chairs are also available.
There is a large metered parking lot across from the park connected by a several tunnels. Also easily reached by one of several buses from the south beach area. The free trolley does not service the park.

Had a few days extra left on a trip in FL and was exploring. Friends suggested (dared me) to try out the famous nude beach in Miami knowing my love of being naked. That said, despite having lived in Europe where out beaches are clothing optional, I had never gone naked myself so...
The nude part of the beach is at the North end. There's a building that looks like a lighthouse on the walkway near that section that is good as a general proximity marker. I believe Lifeguard Tower 13 is also a good place to start. You can tell the nude part from the clothed by the pink lifeguard towers.
What to expect:
If you're a heterosexual guy going alone, beware. You will get harassed by the gay males who will assume you are too because you're alone. My advice? Rope in a female to come with even if she's just a friend. I had already heard about this before going so tried to find a spot surrounded by couples and the odd single female. It didn't work and I found myself begging a single female flight attendant in the water to let me hang near her to avoid harassment. She agreed as she was getting harassed by guys too. It worked out great and we ended up laughing a lot.
Couples - there are quite a few couples. It appeared that most were swingers and seemed to interact with each other. Hot oil massages were common.... The couples did walk by my new friend and I frequently staring at me to see if I was game for some swinging... LOL... Seriously, the whole scene was fun to watch! You will get photographed and perhaps videoed... Caught some woman doing it to me though she was sexy and I didnt care.
The beach is clean. For the most part everyone is friendly and other than the above harassments mentioned, it was cool. The water was very warm and felt great skinny dipping. Nice breeze, lots of sun. Restrooms I think were at, or around, the lighthouse I mentioned. There was a snack cart just off the near the path.
Most people restricted their "play" to the water except for a few of those discrete massages and "getting to know ya" fondlings between couples.
I went in August so parking was easy in this vacant lot. There weren't any lifeguards. I'm assuming high season in Florida is NOT August.
I'm totally hooked on the nude beach experience. Nothing like skinny dipping in a warm ocean!

Awesome beach with white sand and clear water. Hit the nude beach its great! its the far left part of the beach. People are friendly and the lifeguards watch over you

We were never on a nude beach before, and were not sure what to expect. It was such a freeing and comfortable experience. We got to the beach, rented chairs ($10 each) and an umbrella ($15) and easily found a spot. Once you look around, you see all shapes and sizes, and realize it is a judgement free zone. We lost our clothes and soaked up the sun! It was great - the freedom of walking around, swimming and sunbathing nude is hard to describe. I was sold within the first couple minutes. The beach is clean, people are friendly and respectful. There were a couple gawkers, but mostly couples or groups who enjoyed the freedom of nudity on a beautiful beach. Parking is inexpensive and only with the pay by phone app. The place was clean and felt safe. Highly recommend to all.

Love the clear water most of the times I have visited. Lots of water-sports (jet ski, boating, fishing, even lots of kites) on the west side of the park along the inter-coastal. The beach is LONG (about 1.5 mile of the most expensive coastline in the world), between Sunny Isles and Bal Harbor.
Be aware: beach has three zones, so to speak. North is CLOTHING OPTIONAL (mainly nude). Far north, mainly gay, middle, mainly straight/families. South is a traditional beach. There are plenty of signs to make sure you do not go to the "wrong" area for you.

I was looking for a temporary substitute nude beach to replace Club Orient in SXM while they rebuild following the hurricane devastation.
Haulover was a nice substitute, but I’m used to a more controlled environment. At Club O you were not allowed to take pictures and the rules were enforced by security. I had a great time but didn’t like seeing these fully clothed men laying in abandoned loungers sneaking pictures of nude sunbathers. What I ended up doing was taking out my Phone and pointing it directly at them and started taking pictures of them. They then started pretending they were taking selfies until they got uncomfortable and left. Other than that I enjoyed my visit overall. I found the chair and umbrella rental prices to be reasonably priced. Other nude bathers were very friendly. I didn’t go in the water due to the way too excessive mounds of seaweed that washed on shore.

beautiful scenery, lots of sunbathers, lots of parking also. highly recommend it for a day of going au natural when in S.FL on vacation.

Haulover Beach is pretty awesome. Personally, it's Hot to see so many naked bodies. I appreciate the naked body. Some hot and some not. But its the concept of people being free. And naked is just sexy! Got a good tan. When you hit the beach, theoretically, if you go Left, it is more so the gay section. If you go RIGHT it's the straight section. But at times the straight side spills over on the Left side. Its kind of an untold story that some newbies don't know about and find out after they've ventured to the left side of the beach entrance. Everyone is kool...Naked and free. Some Strut their stuff which makes for an awesome visual.
I will say this: IF you are a prude, don't like seeing naked bodies, then this is NO the place for you. But if you CAN appreciate naked bodies, and the freedom it represents then you in the right place!
It cost $7 to park for the day. Bring a big blanket and food and drinks. And please pick up after yourself. :)

Pretty beach, it was my first time being on a nude beach but it was very comfortable and nice. The beach and water was amazing and had a great time going there and will be back in future.

Beach with transparent water, empty and without wave. Also you have a dog space in part of the beach. Worth to go.

What has changed here in the last few years is the new parking lot and the addition of the sports arena. Of note are the new parking meters which generally require a parking app which is used throughout the south Florida area and certainly makes parking at the local parking metres on both streets and in many public lots so much more convenient.
At the beach a new condo tower is under construction just to the north of Haulover and as the construction is completed it will certainly tower over the beaches. So far though the beach continues to be well maintained and a popular draw for the clothing optional crowds. Some things just never change and it is as popular as ever. There always seem to be lifeguards on duty and beach conditions are well posted not only by notices at the lifeguard stations but also on line. Just ask Siri and you will find out.
Just wear some tanning lotion for protection and enjoy your freedom.

And great weather this year!
The beach is more than 1/3 mile long. easily big enough to accommodate the 1000 or more people here on a holiday weekend. You can ingle with large groups or small - in gay (north end) or straight (south end) sections. You can rent umbrella and beach chairs - fairly pricey, but worth it to avoid harsh sun. There's also a snacks and drinks vendor. One toilet on site - better to go a bit to the south (off the beach!) and use the clean, multi-facility restrooms at the life guard station.

The beach is okay the problem is the police are targeting the LGBT community by constantly harassing us kicking us off the beach when it's not even closed yet telling us to get out of the water like they own the water or something and you can't even stay in longer than you want to they are harassing everybody they're arresting people that are even kissing each other they're telling you you can't even have a drink in your cooler it's absolutely insane I don't know what is going on with this rhetoric but it's destroying anyone who wants to go to Miami from now on I'm heading up to Fort Lauderdale they have a better Beach and a better Wilton Manor Area for people that do not get harassed

Went there today and was pretty underwhelmed actually...water was strong and hard to get a foothold to actually enjoy a swim...there was a full on fight bw 3 guys over a CIGARETTE of all things...not 10 metres from me!! Ridiculous that the "lifeguard " had to be alerted by others as to what was going on...they are there for a reason. I realize that such incidents likely dont happen often but i definitely WONT be back. If this is supposed to be one of the best beaches in the usa then get to south australias maslin beach for a real beach where you can have a better swim without being hassled and it is policed better...complete waste of an afternoon

Great beach clean, great food, lounge chair rentals and umbrellas. If you don't like tan lines this is the place to be at haulover beach. This place is just great all around great staff that keeps the park and beach organized

The entire beach is a lovely, clean and enjoyable place to spend time in the sun. My favorite section is the north end which is a sectioned off and clothing optional.

Being from England I was looking forward to visiting this clothing optional beach and it didn't disappoint. It was clean and the surf was typical of other florida beaches. Our worry was that there would be creepy guys but we were pleasantly surprised that there were lots of in shape couples and girls with no fear of bearing all. You can park opposite the beach at Haulover park, it's 6 dollars and there's a 2 min walkway directly and safety to the beach. Only advice I would give would be to take a little picnic. We saw one hot dog van selling food other than that there wasn't a lot else. A thoroughly good new experience and it shouldn't disappoint.

Be careful of big dogs, this beach doesn't restrain any breeds of dogs, so you or your important family members might be hurt be these dangerous dogs or their irresponsible owners. My baby (Husky) got bitten by the big brown dog on July 1st, 2018. The owner of the brown dog (the man in the sea) refused to pay any responsibility of this issue. They said it was only a small scratch! The owner even said his dog is over one hundred pound, his dog could easily kill my dog if he wanted! I asked the security on the beach for help, but the security on the beach did not do anything! I am so regret that I didn't call the cops immediately! Because after we took my dog to the vets, we noticed that it was not only a small scratch, it was a big wound! My poor baby got two stitches!

I rented a bike right next to the beach for myself my my wife, the bikes were really great! Comfortable and well equipped. We had lots of fun right up and down the paths next to the beach and on the other side next to the marina as well.
I took a private boat ride at the marina the captain was Chef Jeff! We had an amazing experience! It’s worth every penny.

Great beach!
After slipping away for the day from a family vacation, I had the opportunity to head to Haulover for some alone time full body suntanning. While both the wife and I are avid nude beach enthusiasts, I was the only one able to get there during this vacation. So I was traveling as a single man on this beach.
There is a parking lot within easy walking distance to the beach. All day parking fees are very inexpensive. Easy access from the lot to the beach via a path UNDER the main road. The lot is shared with (I believe) a boating club. So parking is not exclusive the nude portion of the beach. Ample parking, but you do have to walk to get to the nude section of Haulover. You will see distinct signs informing you of passage into the nude area.
I dropped my towel around Tower #14. Well into the nude area, but south of the predominantly gay areas. I arrived well before noon time and since it was the middle of the week, I had my choice of spots.
This beach is decently wide. At this time, there was a noticeable drop from the sand to the waters edge. So if I stayed back too far, I was not able to see the water or the people walking up and down the beach. I placed my towel at the peak of the edge so I had a wonderful view of the water and all of the people walking the beach.
In my immediate vicinity, everyone was nude. I had no difficulty shedding what little clothing I had on. There were all shapes and sizes, all ages and all sexualities along this stretch of nude beach. I did not at all feel uncomfortable. However, as a single man, I felt like couples in my area generally ignored me. It seemed to me that most couples kept to themselves, avoiding eye contact or proximity to a single guy. Perhaps a mid-week phenomena that would be different if it was a weekend.
There was very little illicit activity that I noticed. A few times there was a fully dressed single guy that walked up and down the beach. Out of curiosity I kept an eye on him but I never witnessed any inappropriate activity by him. Plenty of single men walked the beach - myself included. Not one unwanted advance was directed my way. There was a couple nearby me that shared a joint together - they were very sly about it but they were not more than ten yards from me so it was rather obvious to me. They did not offer to share. I did not see any inappropriate sexual activity on the beach. There may have been a MF couple engaging in some activity in the ocean, but if they were it was not blatantly obvious. In general, nothing offensive occurred while I was there. Again, it was the middle of the week, so I would like to return for a weekend and compare.
I did not partake in the food truck, so I cannot comment.
When returning to the parking lot, I did not utilize the showers. Although they looked perfectly fine, I did observe a single male loitering around the showers in a manner that looked like he was not there to rinse off. Only my perception. May have been totally sincere.
This is definitely a fantastic beach for nude sun bathing. Not very active when I was there, but I am looking forward to a return trip with the wife for a little weekend experience.

We went out from here to go do some sail fishing and find some Mahi. Both went VERY well. Great fishing for 3 days straight without running for days to get there.

As you might know Miami beach is all about big condo buildings and beaches facing them. Only the Ocean drive and Haulover Park are the only areas where you do not have a building leaning over you while sunbathing.
Haulover beach park is not located in South Beach but easily reachable by using the public transportation system from downtown Miami and better reachable if you have a car. It is located in a islet north of Ball Harbor and south of Gold Beach. There is plenty of parking available and you pay a set fee for the entire day. No hourly fee. 5 USD for the south park entrance and 6 USD for the north park. On the weekends the rate goes up one dollar. You reach the beach side by underpasses and along the promenade there is infrastructure such as toilets and outside showers. The beach is cleaned every day so swept of any dirt and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent as the occasional shack where you can by drinks or a snack. The northern part of the beach is a optional no clothes area, let´s say a nudist beach. Mind you that the beach, specially the tinny nudist area is crowded, and increasingly so on weekends or public holidays. We were there in November, not the high season yet, so cannot imagine how crowded it gets in the high season Jan to May. Each lounge chair costs 10USD for the day and the umbrellas 15USD. You are allowed to bring food and drink to the beach and the beach is supervised, so no problems if you are not a very good swimmer. The water is surprisingly hot on the East coast of Florida than on the west, at least for November. It is also a nice color. People are friendly at the beach, and you see all kinds of people possible, so quiet entertaining.

On one of our many treks to my Beloved Sunshine State, my Wife and I spent a fabulous few hours on one of the nicest beaches in all the world! It was nice to swim and enjoy the beach without having to be concerned with a wet bathing suit. Look forward to returning to Haulover again, sometime in the next few years!!
Came back for at least my fourth time here. This time We were with Our young adult children (YACs) and stayed mostly on the "Families with bathing suits side" and had another nice beach experience, on this unseasonably warm late December Day (29 DEC). I managed to jog & walk over to the clothing optional area, in a few minutes time and got a nice prolonged swim in my birthday suit, on my very Birthday!! Great place that can accommodate all in a Group with differing tastes and proclivities . . .

OMG...I really never thought that I would even get close to this..but, now..i literally can't wait to go back..
Miami is what it is..but I will tell you they have Parks like No other Small city..and Haulover Beach is Above and Beyond..
No intimidation, friendly people, and of course the occasional perv...but Awesomeness overall!!!
Check it out, it is Clothing Optional on Jus one end, so u can or u cant..but U have the choice...
Going Back ASAP!!!

It's always nice to see mostly ordinary folk behaving in unselfconscious enjoyment of the sun and fresh air. The nude beach is surprisingly close to some apartment buildings and no one bats an eyelid. There are things to see, of course, particularly more mature physiques but in general, people are pretty average. The guys who keep in shape are here of course, but so are lots of average Joes and Janes scorching their lily white bits in the the unrelenting sun.

The beach still remain a great place to visit. This time my wife and I spent Friday, Sat, and Sunday. Friday and Sunday very crowded, but not overwhelming but a lot of people. It rained on Sat, so we left early. Each time we go the environment is the same, relaxed nude but we observed small changes. My wife noticed more women than men, more younger couples hanging out together, families bringing their children - more naked this trip. Oddly, we still find some young men, wearing a swim suite and moving around a lot. I still don’t understand why you want to wear a swimming costume at a naked beach? This time we walked the whole beach, we saw less male sections, and more black and Hispanic - mostly naked and having a great time dancing and playing in the water. We normally stay between Tower 13 - 14 (more mid-aged couples there), between Tower 12-13 (more younger families with children, ages looked 6-9). We ate at the food truck, hot dogs one day, then hamburger the last day. Prices are responsible. So, as we were leaving the nude section, we saw a volleyball game, in the area wear suites are required, but the women had not tops on, so nice to see some freedom. No one appeared concerned as the beach patrol passed by. Go, you will love it!

Dog beach available between 8 am and 3pm daily. Parking is the only charge and very cheap with a dog park at this location. This is just north of the Ritz Carlton. You can enter from either side of the road.

Resort hotel beaches were plagued with seaweed so we found Clearwater and a wide beach at Haulover. Very pleaed.

There is a good chance you will have a local creep sit right in front of you and masterbate. They should all be arrested. They ruin the beach experience for everyone. They do it all day to many couples and woman. Something needs to be done. Sadly, I can not bring my wife to this beach anymore, she hates it.

this beach has the very best swimming of all beaches i have been to. calm waves and very clear you can see to the bottom. spent many days on this beach during my sept vacation. got an awesome tan but now i'm back home and it will disappear. was out in the water and saw a barracuda within arms length. not sure what all the fuss is with this fish but i wasn't taking chances i exited the water post haste. also for your convenience they have removed the ticket booth so now you can kindly go thru a taxing ordeal to pay for parking. and yes pay for parking they are militant about it. 7.00 a day. look at the signs posted around the parking lot, get the location number and call them or download another battery zapping app to your phone.
also people must be getting drunk or jus plain absent minded on this beach. found a visa platinum card and a drivers license around the beach. a good thing is you can walk up to the showers bootybutt naked and take a shower. past the spaced out super perv singing to himself and complimenting everyones body as they pass. but be sure to take shampoo cause they aren't supplying it. ignore the used condom on the bench and brush it away if you so dare. also it would be nice if security would remove a few homeless drug addicts from the beach. you'll see who i'm talking about next time. and the time after that and the time after that. they'll be the ones laying under the cabana hut all drugged up sleeping or when awake without expression on their face stoned out of their brains. or the happy smell of pot sticking to you. but all in all i recommend this beach. but many good upstanding people well outnumber the circus performers. so i suggest you enjoy this beach.

The clothing optional side of Haulover State Park in Florida is a great place for us to visit. Naked sunbathing and beach! We came on a 4 day-long weekend trip over Easter (our first visit here) and had a great time.
The sand is course but not rocky, and the beach is very clean. Unfortunately for us, the ocean was rough as hell. It actually knocked us around a bit just a few feet in, so we only dipped in a time or two. Mangrove trees create a natural barrier between the road and the nude portion of the beach, so, except for where the clothing-optional portion meets the clothing-required portion, your privacy is ensured.
On the beach, you may rent lounges (10), umbrellas (12), cabanas (25), or a thatch-top hut (100). The cabanas are really nice to keep you out of the wind and provide needed shade. The prices are for all day. They only take cash, so forget a credit card. Of course, if you want towels - and we always do - you have to bring your own.
We met a beach employee who rides herd over the rentals - David. He was very pleasant, and took the lounges and cabana where we wanted, and then set them up for us. He was helpful and available every time we needed him.
Another nice feature is food and drink. Food trucks come daily. We did not sample them, but the line-up looked like good beach fare (sandwiches, quesadillas, chips, fruit, smoothies). They also have Sunblock (as does the marina across the road). You can also order food and drinks (no alcohol allowed on the beach - a rule regularly and happily disobeyed) from the bar and grill, and the beach guys will deliver it to you right on the beach.
Restrooms are close by and impressively clean.
The people on the beach vary from mid-20s to the geriatric set. Body types ran the gamut from stunning to not-so-much. The beach was crowded on the weekend, pretty dead on Monday. Our female half commented that she thinks she would feel safe her as a nude sunbather by herself.
Make sure you know that this is a clothing-OPTIONAL beach, so a few people stay clothed. Also, there was a family with small kids here Sunday. We weren't too happy with that, and the kiddos were gawkers in the worst way. But, to each their own.
If you love to be naked in the sun, Haulover certainly fits the bill.

Had a Great time with Captain Felipe Franco, Great time to have with friends or Family on a beautiful boat! Jump on board and Enjoy what Miami has to offer. Thanks Captain Felipe!

Visiting the Miami area and we decided to spend a few days at the beach. Great public beach which includes both a textile and clothing optional area. Ample parking, restroom facilities and easy access to the beach from the parking lot. Beach lounges and umbrellas available to rent, but a bit on the expensive side - $65 for two lounges and an umbrella. A food truck is located right on the beach offering reasonable priced food and refreshments. The 3 days we were there, there was lots of seaweed in the water. The beach was never super crowded. For those that are inclined, the clothing optional area starts at Lifeguard tower 12/13 and continues through tower 15. People were friendly and respectful. Overall, an enjoyable experience and nice time on the beach. Definitely will return.

Miles and miles of clean sandy beach, well served with parking lots with bus stops and restrooms with fresh water showers. Lots of life guard stations. Great clothes optional (nude) watched over by life guards and patrolled by park staff to dissuade pervs, voyeurs and over enthusiast photographers and lovers.

The other day, I drove over to Haulover Park to see what they offer. It is a huge park. I took the exit to the west, not knowing there is also an exit to the east! So I only saw one side of the park, which means that I will need to drive over there again to see the rest of it on the other side.
The west side has the Bill Bird Marina with hundreds of boats docked there. From the posted signs, it looks like you need to become a member in order to use the Marina and its huge parking lot. I do not own a boat, so this did not apply to me.
I saw a gentleman flying his kite as it was a windy but hot day. There was plenty of grassy area for kite lovers to show off their colorful and creative kites.
There is also a beach area further to the north for families. I didn't see any vendors, so bring a picnic basket. You can see the inlet with boats passing by.
I also saw about 75 birds around some left-over rain water in the parking lot by the marina. They were so calm and beautiful. Looked like seabirds and another type of bird. I took a picture of them.
Next time, I will visit the east side and report back.

After a week long cruise celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary, my wife and I were looking for a place to just relax and unwind before flying back home. She is very conservative but when she searched for things to do in south beach the clothing optional beach came up first. She knows this is something I have always wanted to do and although she made no promises she would be willing to check it out. We parked across the highway at the pay parking lot and grabbed some stuff out of our suitcases and hiked through the tunnel to to the beach side. We were right next to the bathroom so we both stopped in to change. We walked towards the beach and and there were signs letting us know we were in the right spot. We went over to the chair rental place to rent a chair and a cabana for the day. Once we were set up I had no problem dropping my suit and enjoying the freedom of not wearing clothes. My wife was a little reluctant and eventually was comfortable enough to go topless but just in our cabana. While we were relaxing there were some young guys who came around fully clothed and made her uncomfortable enough to cover back up which was too bad. I can’t tell you how liberating it feels to be naked on the beach, I was not uncomfortable at all and walked around freely from the cabana to the water. There were all kinds of people there some younger than us and some older with all different body types. We spent a couple hours there and I could have spent many more. Next time we go back to Miami we intend to go back to this beach. Remember you only live once go to the beach.

Clear water, beautiful ocean, and relaxed and pretty naked bodies. People often complain about nude beaches, "the people wearing clothes should be naked and the naked people should be wearing clothes." That's not the case here.

Parking is good. The marina store in the parking lot is nice. Restrooms are decent considering what it is. People are friendly and I never hear of crime or theft. Just a nice place to be au naturale.

What a beautiful piece of land but abandoned the tennis court , the golf part ,
I do not know why the city does not improved it
I have to admit that the dog park is great and it was an excellent idea
Plus the new skate park
But why they can not do something similar and put it to function the other side

The only place in Miami where you can sunbathe; without clothing, it's allowed; visitors should know that taking photos is not allowed; it would be a crime; respect above all.

Crystal clear waters good atmosphere and if you go looking for other couples swingers is the perfect place the only bad thing is the muscular guys who spend all day walking along the beach that I don't really know if it's showing or are gay there's a lot of surveillance people of all kinds I really liked the place

We went there for a couple days instead of the South Beach area and it was a great choice. Pretty much the same type of beach but not as busy and little facilities. There was a food truck (no liquor) at the North end towards in the nude section. We grabbed a chicken ceasar wrap, chips and a soda for $10. The owner said on the weekends they have more trucks so you don't have to "enter" the nude area for a bite. The public bathrooms were surprisingly very clean with no smell at whatsoever. The water was clear, beautiful and there was a nice sandbar just yards off the beach to relax on (at least when we were there).

We loved the day spent at the gay section of Haulover nude beach. Very comfortable Andy we met some fun people to hang with. Lots of space and a mix of body types. Highly recommend.

simple and convenient beach
Parking is accessible and inexpensive. One fare for the whole day
Showers to rinse everywhere, bathrooms
There are no tall building at most of the area, so you get sun in the afternoon too

Very clean beach away from south beach mess and you can have the shades just under the buildings to enjoy a smooth day

Visited this beach because we wanted to watch the boats come in and out which was exciting! Unfortunately it was extremely windy and the giant hill of sand was constantly kicking up in our face, but the view was nice. Getting in/out the park was a pain with the 1 entrance and exit from the same side of the road with limited u turn areas around. Also no bathrooms by the jetty.

There is a group of five or six locals who insist on feeding the seagulls. It’s disgusting. The group usually congregates on the southern edge of the nude beach.
If you go to the far northern end of the nude beach, you will see the gays have taken that over and it has a much different vibe.

I was looking for a nice spot to enjoy the area’s turquoise blue waters, get a decent tan and take a few pics in my teeny-weeny bikinis. Although this beach is known for the nude section, I didn’t go to that extreme or to that end of the beach. But the area I was in was like a quiet paradise. We were able to walk just far enough away from the next group of people to feel like we had a section of the beach to ourselves. Mind you, I like to go to the beach during the middle of the week before schools are out and before peak vacation season to avoid the congestion. But I wasn’t expecting to have this much privacy and seclusion. IT WAS FABULOUS. I was able to tan, enjoy the water and take pics like Sports Illustrated had rented the beach out just for me.
If you go down to Miami and want a break from the SoBe scene, this is the place. I tried Crandon Beach but it was just a yucky seaweed mess. (I’ll review that beach later.) If you want to bikini watch and get down with the crowd, South Beach is what you’re looking for. Otherwise, if you go during the middle of the week, early in the day and its not peak vacation season, Haulover is the chillest beach in the Miami area to me.

If you enjoy being nude at the beach, Haulover Beach is your Florida destination. If you're shy, no worries. Everyone else is naked and there's no body shaming. We were there mid-July and there was a lot of seaweed in the water which was disappointing. Nothing you can do about that. Rented an umbrella and 2 chairs for $35 (a little pricy) but great to keep the sun off you for a bit. Got dropped off by Uber/Lyft driver so not aware of the parking situation. Great experience and would definitely return!

I love a good long walk and this is my go to place, quiet, tranquil, always wildlife, birds, manatees, Tarpon, Dolphins , a peace of solace in an urban environment. Sit on a chair and chill , th3 staff are really friendly and it’s pure beauty for exercise and down time

Great beach. Clean, SAFE, greet sand and water, and a great vibe. New to the area, gf and I made a beeline for here. Far left tends to be more gay while more couples on the right. Being a regular to the beach I’ve met a lot of locals both gay and straight. Really cool people, non judgmental and are all there to enjoy the lifestyle.
Highly recommend this beach. It’s well patrolled, no weird gawkers or any lewd activities. Just a fun, quiet and great escape from the Miami crazy hustle bustle. Def a must go if you’re local or visitor. Just wear a smile that’s all!

If you are in Miami and searching for clothing optional beach, you are at the right spot.
Beach is divided into two parts. If you are interested and comfortable shredding your clothes, definitely you should go to clothing optional section.
Beach is clean, crowd is fantastic. you would not feel shy shredding you cloth.
Over all suggested if you like Clothing optional beaches

Outstanding and so free feeling all over my body! It was an Uber trek to get there from FT Lauderdale but we’ll worthy the trip. Take water and sunscreen/umbrella if you can.

My husband and I found this place to be great for an all over tan. We were here on Saturday (even when it rained so much) and came back on Sunday for a better, sunny weather.
You’ll see a mixture of families, couples, singles, of all ages and races. I don’t think there were any creeps around, or from what I could tell.
There were some cigarette butts in the sand. Please people, take care of your trash and respect nature.
There’s a Tex Mex food truck on the beach. The chicken quesadilla was great on day one but the nachos on day two tasted stale.
Clear water and very swimmable. Not many waves at all. It’s a little cold at first but once you’re in the water you’ll get used to it.

Came back again for a mini vacation. We love this nude beach. Water was warm, clear and pleasant today. Nice breeze. You can rent beach chairs and umbrella if you need one. There is a hut at one end serves food. I like it best, no kids, all adults!

I was a bit nervous about visiting a naturist beach for the first time, but Haulover Beach far exceeded my expectations! Plenty of parking, easy walk to the beach, and everything was very well kept. I love skinny dipping, so it was incredible to be able to enjoy the beach in my birthday suit! Everyone was well behaved and kept to themselves. I didn't even notice any creepers. In fact, it was just like being at any other beach -- only people were walking around with no clothes on :) The water was clear and felt great on a hot day. I'll definitely visit Haulover the next time I'm in Miami!

Spotted this creeper when I went to use the bathroom on lots#6. He was looking over at me while I was using the urinal ..an even after I got back from the beach 2 hours later. He was still in there pretty sure he likes little boys what are weasel

Very nice beach. Great atmosphere. Clothing is optional but other than that was very much like any other beach.. Spent 2 days here. Beach was very busy both days. Large mix of ages. Lots of older couples, younger couples, good number of singles and saw around 10 kids from around toddler to maybe 10 with there parents. It was nice to see that at least a few families come.

I imagine this beach would be packed during the summer season. Weather is quite a bit cooler in January and you may think no one may be at the beach. Au contraire, there are still many people here at this beach sun-bathing.
One advice to the future visitors. If you plan to stay there more than a couple of hours, bring drinks and food. There is one catering truck parked on the beach, but that is it. It is nice to have a picnic there.

Great beach park that have an official nude section on the north side near life guard station 14. It is the most crowded section of the beach so you can't miss it. Although clothing is optional, almost everyone is naked because they're all here to enjoy the best nude beach in America. Easy parking across the street and the facilities are clean.

Park is very close to the beach and water, there are places for dogs, BBQs and a lot of shadow. You can rent a gazebo also.
Very nice place!

Excellent warm water beach. Beautiful people. Clean. Secure. Good paid parking on the other side of the avenue. One of the high points of northern Miami.

We met our charter captain here and were really surprised at how nice this public facility is and how well used it is. We arrived early, so we drove through the two non-connected parcels of land with the other entrance being at 15000 Collins Ave. There are tunnels under the road at the 10800 location and there is a pad for launching radio controlled aircraft at the north end of the park. The tunnels take you straight under the road to the white sand beach. There are satisfactory (not clean clean) restrooms at both locations and a place to buy snacks. From this location, you can find fishing charters galore. From the 15000 location, you can rent ski doos and the like, plus there are several boat launch ramps. Parking in both places is readily available and is inexpensive by comparison to other water access points. Dogs are allowed in the ark but not on the beach. If you are in the North Miami, Bl harbour, Sunny Isles area, do make a stop in the park for wonderful access to both the Intercoastal and the Atlanitc.

Haulover Beach is a world famous clothing optional beach. The area has been renovated by the City in recent years with new bathrooms on the path and updated shower facilities on the beach. It's a short walk through the tunnel from the parking lot across the street. There is one ticket machine that has people lined up waiting their turn as the person at the machine tries to figure out how it works. It used to be much easier and quicker when there was a manned toll booth. You can rent umbrellas, chairs and tent-like coverings. There is usually a food truck. It's safe; the beach patrol regularly drive up and down the beach. Full showering is discouraged, as the faucet design makes it virtually impossible unless there are two people. To keep the water flowing, you must press and keep one hand on the water button at all times for top or foot spray. This saves water and, I guess, prevents the homeless or others from showering regularly here. The thatch covered huts have been repaired. The week i was here the weather was hot, but the red tide kept many beach goers away and out of the water, so finding a place to drop your blanket was easy. . Overall, it's a nice place to hang out for the day or the week.

Awesome dog beach for your fur baby! Lots of room and friendly dogs. Easy parking and dog hose right outside. Came here on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in late Feb - Mar. It got busier each day but totally manageable and enjoyable. I wish Miami Beach had a few more of these!

Went to the dog beach and it was wonderful. WAYYY better than Key Biscayne. Plenty of nice white sand, clear water, and I didn't see any seaweed.
Variety of dogs all shapes/sizes.
It was hard to find the parking lot though.

When I visited midweek there was not much of a crowd. The largest number of people collected near the one lifeguard on duty at the north end of the beach. Even when a large group of families came at midday it did not feel crowded. I observed beachgoers on that day being respectful of others. Very little seaweed was on the beach or in the water. A fairly steep drop off goes from beach into the ocean. The wave action was not strong, so swimming was easy. The beach was fairly clean, not too bad. It took me 10 tries to get the automated kiosk to work for parking. There was plenty of parking, but not in any shade. No shade on the beach either, except for just a few covered picnic tables, but umbrellas were available for rent. Restrooms are adequate. The sand gets really hot, so footwear is required walking to and from the beach to the parking lot.

We decided to go to the beach for the day and ran into this park and beach. We went to the non-nude beach side though. We walked through the park and enjoyed the day at the beach. That day, my hubby and I had the entire beach to ourselves. It was very romantic. The park and beach were very clean and the water was the perfect temp. We went back again several times already. Great park.

Loved the beach. Very clean, easy to rent chairs and umbrellas for those from out of town. Nudist Area clearly marked. Respectful beach goers. Beach side showered available. Nice sand.

Lifeguard station 12 - 15 are mostly families, couples and non-gay singles. 15-17 are predominantly gay. What a wonderful beach. 90% were fully nude - hardly any clothes people around. Good mix of everyone who kept to themselves. No cameras in sight. The water feels so good nude. There are beach chair and umbrella rentals at the beach. A food truck on site.

regardless of your desire to be nude, this beach is the quietest and most clean in the area! People are cordial, friendly and no one bothers anyone. Great food truck for snacks!

Great beach, enjoyed the food truck that usually parks there. Everyone is friendly, umbrellas & chairs can be rented & the beach is clean.

I live nearby this park and have been visiting for years. It offers a lot; picnic tables, kite rentals for flying, boat ramp, rental boats, beach for swimming, fishing trips. Heads up: A small portion of the park is dedicated to nudist so watch out! Life guards are on duty. The water ocean water is a little more salty then in broward county. There are no picnic tables on the beach but you can set up a tent. There is also a lighthouse and a path to walk, run or ride your bike. Great park!!

Once you have visited the nude beach at Haulover Park, you won't want to go to any other beach in Miami. Head to the northernmost parking lot to access the naturist beach which sits on a long stretch of beautiful beach. The beach is well maitained and very clean. You can rent beach chairs and shade umbrellas for the day on-site (cash only) and there was a food truck to buy water, sandwiches and snacks. We found the beach to be very safe and nobody bothered anybody over the 4 days we visited. Apparently the left side of the beach is predominately gay and to the right is where couples and swinger groups congregate. We are a straight couple and we parked ourselves on both sides of the beach and had a great experience.
The only negative were the smokers whose smoke would interrupt the fresh, clean air that you are trying to enjoy with their smoke while relaxing on the beach. We found fewer smokers on the right part of the beach. Smoking should be banned from beaches and anywhere in public for that matter.

This was my second trip to Haulover Beach. Last year, I went in July and I was very excited since it was my first time at a nude beach. I went on a Tuesday since I thought there would not be many people. There only about 100 people on the beach. About 35 were women and 65 were men. It seemed like an older crowd. I had no problem taking off my clothes and I immediately enjoyed the beauty of the beach and how peaceful and natural everything seemed. The only negatives were a couple of weird guys walking around looking at the women and a number of planes flying low over the beach. But I thought the entire experience was enjoyable and I looked forward to returning again.
This year (October,2017), I decided that I wanted to see what it was like when more people were on the beach. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that there were not many cars. However, after I paid my $6 I went to the beach and I was surprised to see at least 200 or more people. It looked like there were 45% women and 55% men on the beach. There were many couples. Most of the people were in their 30's, 40's and 50's. Many couples were swimming and walking along the beach. They looked so natural and really seemed to be having a great time. I did not see any weird people and few planes flew over the beach. I did see police, vendors and normal people cutting through the area, but it just seemed natural. Everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed being nude with all of these people (a few had clothes on) and I look forward to returning to Haulover sometime in the future.

My husband and I were vacationing at the St Regis and stumbled across a beach review in trip Advisor for this beach and thought we’d give it a try. The beach is a super close drive from the hotel and was a great find. Please note that this beach is clothing optional, and most people are nude. Men seemed to be mostly nude; while ladies were either top less or fully naked. The beach itself is beautiful, water warm, and the sand is HOT. There are clean public restrooms. There are also chairs and umbrellas for rent ($35 day for 2 chairs and umbrella), and parking is very inexpensive at $5-$7 a day, depending which lot you park in. The entrance to the beach is at lot #12. A food truck also frequents the beach at around noon every day selling burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, quesadillas, etc. 2 thumbs up to the chicken quesadillas.
As a woman, I felt safe at this beach, but I was also with my husband. There are manned lifeguard shacks and maintenance people around. The beach goers were everything from couples to groups of friends, single people, older people, 20-somethings, basically all adult ages, races and body shapes. It’s a place to be free no matter what you look like. Please note that there did appear to be a couple creepy guys one day we were there. I would call them “lurkers.” One guy seemed to have his camera out an awful lot taking pics of young ladies and the other guy seemed to sit beside any single lady that showed up and tried to strike up conversation.
Overall impression was that this is a great beach if you want to sunbathe and not worry about tan lines - Lots of happy people letting it all hang out. We enjoyed the beach so much we went 2
days in a row. It may not be as exotic as Orient beach in St. Martin, but it was a good find and we would go again.

While vacationing in South Beach for a week in February, my husband and I spent two days on the legal clothing-optional section of Haulover Beach. Two teenage girls whom we had met at the beach behind our hotel came along, with the approval of their parents and our assurances that we would look after them.
We took the 120 Beach Max bus from 17th street to Haulover Park. The bus makes limited stops – only where the sign at the bus stop lists route 120. Some of the route 120 buses terminate in the Haulover Park parking lot about a 10-minute walk away from the nude section, and some merely stop on Collins Ave. at the southern end of the Park about a 15-minute walk away from the nude section. The bus ride took about ½ hour and cost $2.25 each way (exact change only). There’s a Miami-Dade bus app that shows the schedule, but our experience suggests using the schedule merely as a guideline. There wasn’t a strong correlation between the schedule and the actual arrival of a bus.
Lounge chairs and orange umbrellas are set up all over the beach. Just stake a claim and an attendant will eventually come over to collect payment: $10 for each chair and $15 for each umbrella. The chairs had dubious value, as they were the old-fashioned type with vinyl straps. They would have benefitted from having pads like the ones used by the vendors on South Beach. There was also a food truck on the beach, with soft drinks, snacks, tacos, sandwiches, ice cream bars, etc. The beach has lifeguards and regular beach patrols, so it provides a safe environment.
We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and took a spot at the southern end of the nude section near the water. As we removed our t-shirts and shorts, excitement ramped up – especially when my husband saw that our teen girl companions were, like me, completely smooth. As a result, the girls had a lot to look at, and they reacted with heightened excitement of their own. Eventually, my husband’s application of sunscreen to certain body parts resulted in a jolt of excitement that compelled us all to go into the water to cool down. There are signs warning people against engaging in sexual activity, but any touching that occurred was incidental to a valid purpose. If it caused hearts to flutter, well, vacations are for having fun!
As the beach filled up, I noticed that we were surrounded by single men, mostly middle-aged or older. Whenever they walked to the water, their paths inevitably went right past us. However, the majority grouping on the beach consisted of m/f couples. There were plenty of m/m couples and some f/f couples in the gay part at the northern end of the nude section. There were also one or two solo women on the beach – pretty brave, in my estimation. I didn’t notice any inappropriate body contact, although some men provided more to see than normal.
Our teenage friends attracted a lot of attention whenever they ventured off by themselves. There were no men under 30 on the beach, so my husband found himself chasing away men who should have had enough sense to leave the girls alone. However, he said that his task was much easier than on South Beach; as soon as the men saw him approaching, they moved along.
On the quarter mile or so of nude beach, there were several hundred people. On the clothing-required beach immediately adjacent to the southern end, there were about one hundred people. When we were here four years ago, the nude beach was more crowded and there were virtually no people on the other side of the fence. The distribution of people this year probably had something to do with school vacation week in northern states.
On our second day at Haulover (three days later), things were a little more relaxed. Our teenage companions had adjusted to the scenery and were comfortable being naked. After all, it’s the most natural way to be at the beach. This time, we brought more beach towels, eschewed the lounge chairs, and lay on the sand. This made it possible to spread our legs to tan our inner thighs. Some men nearby interpreted this erotically and reacted accordingly. The ensuing exhibition of manhood caught the notice of our teenage friends, but nothing further came of it.
My husband and I would have preferred going nude on South Beach within walking distance of our hotel, but taking a short bus ride to get to a legal nude beach was not a great burden. Our young friends generally enjoyed the attention they received and the displays of virility around them – the effects of being attractive, naked teenage girls on a beautiful beach!

If you are visiting Miami and have a car at your disposal, head to this beach park for a great day at the beach. You are 30-45 minutes away from South Beach. This stretch of beach is not fronted by any high-rise buildings, so the trees prevail here. There are large parking lots here but most were full when we arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The parking attendants used lawns as overflow lots. Parking here was @$8 for three hours. There are showers and bathrooms available and the lifeguard towers are manned. A small part of the beach is dog friendly. There were lots of locals with their own tents and chairs and food coolers enjoying this clean beach. The sand is medium coarse and yellowish here, and the sea is cool with seaweed growing just offshore. It was great to experience an afternoon in nature, while still inside the city.

Super beach
Been here several years. Nice and friendly people here. Love to go back here. Unique US environment.

Haulover Beach is 1.5 miles long, the most famous part is the northern .5 mile clothing optional (CO) area, which is clearly marked. I went to both the CO area as well as the south tip at the Haulover Inlet. Both were equally good in their own way. I went nude (not my first time) at the CO beach and enjoyed walking the mostly clean sand, swimming in the warm water, and meeting some friendly people. If you even think you want to see/try a nude beach, try this one. Don’t take pictures of people without permission, don’t gawk, and don’t make fun of anyone.
At the Inlet area, I watched the many boats go in and out of the bay area, met people, and swam. Finding a parking space could be difficult when it’s busy, but I got there early enough. You MUST use the PaybyPhone app to pay for your parking and that’s ridiculous. You should be able to pay at a kiosk with cash or a debit/credit card like you would at a convenience store. The address to use for the CO beach parking lot is 15600 Collins Avenue. If you use the 10800 Collins Ave address you’ll end up .5 miles south. I loved my time at any part of Haulover and highly recommend it.

Beach is decent, will admit spoiled by Gulf coast white sand beaches so may be bit jaded. Parking is close by, metered. We visited both beach areas. People at beaches seem to be nice, no issues with anyone, everyone seems to keep to themselves. Seems pretty safe during day.

We loved being nude on a beach in Jamaica, so we looked for one while visiting florida. First this beach is in north Miami, so not too much traffic, right off A1A. On the right side of the road (across from the beach) there is a big parking lot which you pay $6 all day for the week days, and $7 all day on weekends ( no pay per hour option), then there is a walk way that goes under A1A, VERY NICE!!! it opens up on the walk way that you can walk to get to any part of the beach, also opens to the one and many bathroom spots (also very nice which i am always pleased to find). If you do decide to take the first open area to get to the beach from this walk way it is to the nudist beach, which there are tons of signs for. We made the semi- mistake of sitting to the left of the lifeguard, which we understood was the gay side (mostly men). To the right of the lifeguard are all heterosexual couples and mostly old retired couples. DO NOT COME HERE TO FIND SOMEONE!!! MOSTLY ALL COUPLES!!!
The beach was VERY nice and clean!!! no seaweed or anything other than a lot of shells. Every one brought there own chairs and definitely need an umbrella, but i think there was a chance to buy some chairs and umbrella from 1 vendor.
WE LOVED THIS BEACH AND WILL BE BACK!!!!
also 15 min away is a great buffet... look for reviews of Ginza Japanese buffet

In 2019 I visited Haulover nude beach (see an old photo attached) and felt this is one of the best nude beaches. Mostly couples and a few families with kids. I was impressed. However in June 2022 I went back with my grandson. This time there were fewer people and mostly men. Everyone was pleasant but I felt I had taken my grandson to a gay beach. This is a public beach so you can't control who goes there, but I would like to see Haulover return to a more family oriented beach.

One of the best beaches in Miami area , I love been there ,this time the water was kind of cold 03/17/2017 but was nice not many people around so it was kind of private for us. if you like it fishing also you can do it here or even with your best friend(dogs)there is a small park where they can have fun... but don't forget to pay the parking or you will get a free ticket courtesy of Miami Dade parking code enforcer .

My favorite spot to enjoy the more amazing and breathtaking sunset's views, beautiful place! A must go

Having spent some time at a couples resort that isn’t “clothing optional” but rather “no clothing allowed” haulover is just a bit weird. You’ll find all sorts of people...gay, straight, couples, singles and people with suits or clothes on just hanging out. The overall space is about a 1/2 mile of beach between the pink lifeguard stations. My GF and I spent 5 days on the beach, from a Wednesday thru a Monday so we got the full gamut of people. We skipped Saturday due to crappy beach weather. Sunday seemed the most “normal” for an AN environment. Lots of couples and groups of peeps but mid/late week can be downright creepy. Creepy meaning people in suits, which I totally don’t get, to a lot of guys just walking around and staring. We chose to ignore most of it but 1 guy did come up and eventually ask if we were swingers. I’m sure you’ll get some of that in any AN situation however this place just had a weird vibe mid/late week.

Parking was $7. This was my first time at a nude beach and even though I knew what to expect, it was still shocking to see a LOT of naked people. The beach is gorgeous. There is a bathroom/rinse off place right before you get to the beach. I didn't see anyone selling anything so it's best to be prepared and bring your food/drink.

Haulover Beach is a great spot to relax. Its a large beach with lots of parking across the street with short walk to the beach. Beach is very clean and lots of room.

We visited here before and after our cruise in January. Both times we were there, the beach was clean and very quiet. The water was clear and calm and it was fun to watch the boats come and go.

Great beach. Ample parking across the street. And chairs for rent at a reasonable price. At the north end is the clothing optional section.

I visited March 2023.
Haulover Beach is about a 20 minutes drive from Turnberry Resort in Aventura where I vacationed.
During my visit, there were only a few family beach goers. It is spacious with clean picnic family areas throughout and a large paid parking lot.
Check their website for additional information before your visit.

My wife and I spent 5 days on Haulover Beach erasing tan lines, sipping cold drinks and enjoying the sand and beach. Some earlier reviews suggested things had changed since the last visit 2 years ago. We found everything almost the same. A few people on a nude beach in bathing suits (NO, I can't explain that). A few gawkers. The water was clear with the expected scattering of seaweed. The sandbar is still an easy walk at low tide and the bottom good and sandy on the walk out. Pay by Phone parking is very convenient. $6.00 weekdays. $7.00 weekends. There is also a pay kiosk for those who don't want to download the phone app. We loved it.

I used to live in Florida in the early 2000s, so was well acquainted with Haulover, specifically the clothing optional, northern section of the beach. If the thought of being on a nude beach makes you long for the good ole days when people wore swimsuits, stay away. Haulover is definitely not for everyone, but if you enjoy the freedom of sunning au naturel, on a relatively undeveloped stretch of sand, this should be your cup of tea. However, if you are thinking this will be a great place for sexual hijinks, stay away. As the only legal nude beach in Florida, the Haulover lifeguards and rangers enforce public lewdness laws vigorously. If you are gay, or bisexual, you may want to stick to the northernmost part of the beach. However, straight couples sometimes mix in here, presumably because the gay men are not apt to stare at women, since their attention may be directed elsewhere. When coming to Haulover from the north, keep a lookout for the first park entrance on the right. I used the paybyphone app, much better than waiting on line at the parking kiosk. Use the underpass that safely takes you under Collins Avenue to the beach. As you near the beach, that circular structure on the left is where you will find bathrooms. Follow the signs to the beach, then turn left for the gay beach and right for the straight section. Do not go beyond the fence on the left that marks the end of the clothing optional beach. One more thing. No one is required to take off their clothing, but if your sole purpose is to gawk at naked bodies, why not use the internet?

Just returned from our second trip to Haulover this year, and as usual had a great time. We had perfect weather for both visits (ten days total). Last week we stopped at Blind Creek Beach about two hours north to compare. Although Blind Creek is beautiful, the facilities at Haulover are far superior. The crowd is also more mixed and far larger at Haulover.
My last review addressed the increase in creeper action that we have seen over the years, which can be annoying at times. Well, sorry to say that it continues. Only the characters never change. Same loser guys, every day, all day, approaching young women and either trying to chat them up or jostling for the prime position about four feet from their feet. If I heard the same idiot ask a young lady if she wanted a massage or invite her to a nude "truth or dare party" at his apartment one more time, I'd have gone mad. C'mon! Do you really think that that approach has any chance of gaining their interest?
Or the same dude in the white hat, yellow shirt, and red bathing suit that literally spends the day walking back and forth searching for unsuspecting "hot" women. You can be sure that if an attractive woman attempts to enjoy this wonderful beach, this jerk will find her. He will then drop his gear. Walk away to suggest disinterest, only to return, plop down on his stomach and open the same dog-eared book, and stare at the woman's crotch. If it weren't so pathetic, it would actually be funny. He is there every day. I've attached a couple of photos so that you can keep Your eyes out for him.
Except for these freaks, Haulover truly is a gem, and still our favorite C/O destination. You can't beat the nice wide beach, warm clear water, chair rental (shout out to our buddy Al and his crew) and food truck options. Give it a try. You will love it. Just keep an eye out for the usual suspects.

plenty of sand and space ! so much to do ! beach rental and beach cafe . plenty of friendly people . clean and shower almost every exit. bike rental .

It was amazing!
This place is charming and hot!
I really love it so much.
Beach have place for LGBT ;-)

Love to do down there and not worry about what to wear. One of the best beaches in south Florida. I'd definitely recommend

It is advisable to have a rental car to get there (or your own car ) The reason this is worth noting is that between North Miami and Bal Harbour there are miles of luxury hotels and shops. For many, in this densely populated area with this long island of beaches in a huge park, taking an Uber or other taxi to the beach is much more economical than parking a car that you are paying to rent And park at a hotel.
Here the frustration of a practical solution to a wonderful location, white sand, blue water, begins. The taxi drivers-- Uber, Lyft, etc., rely on GPS's that are next to useless in the Park, with its many access road to various beaches, fishing areas, etc. So you might wait 45 minutes to an hour with your cellphone trying to direct the driver to where you are. The turnover of well meaning drivers of these taxis seems high. And then there is the complication of communication, unless your Spanish is passable-- at least in many cases. So what would seem an economical solution to a week of staying in nice high-rise hotels near pristine beaches and water sport areas turns out to be a headache that many endure anyway.
The solution is obvious: because the drivers themselves complain of the GPS problem. So because of the popularity of the beaches and the nearby hotels, why not train and familiarize the drivers to navigate this popular area?? Less frustration for drivers, fewer unhappy passengers.

We had read an article about Haulover with the clothing optional beach and had to try it. We parked closer to the dog park and was a long walk to the clothing optional part but well worth it. The beach and water are beautiful. There were lots of fellow nudist on the beach, all shapes and sizes. It was a very comfortable, relaxing afternoon. Would recommend to fellow travelers (the clothing optional kind) 😊

The Haulover Sandbar Party is an exclusive party only accesible by boat, kayak or paddleboard. Averaging 100+ boats a weekend and several food boats to fill your belly, this crazy party is a must do and is safe for all ages including children.

Want a quiet. Each in Miami? This is it. Super quiet lots of space, no noise. You'd think you have the place to yourself. Plenty of parking.

The water and beach are beautiful and the park is peaceful. The perfect place to swim in peace and sunbathe with a book.

We visited with our family in April after reading that this was a "family friendly" beach. We had one afternoon to spend at the beach in Miami and Haulover was our choice. After happening upon the nude section by accident with our two little ones, we moved down the beach to the suit required part.
It was a Monday afternoon, the beach was quiet and peaceful. The sand and ocean were gorgeous and we had a blast. Unfortunately, the people next to us spooked everyone out by saying they "saw something" in the water, so after a brief swim, we kept to the sand.
There are bathrooms and showers nearby, but no other facilities nearby, so bring your own gear, food, and drinks!
GREAT PLACE go . AWESOME also see Orient Beach In Virgin Islands,Nude, at best
