The beach was good and the Boardwalk is amazing. So many good bars and restaurants and shops. This is a great alternative to Ft Lauderdale Beach. Way less crowed.

Born and raised in Hollywood, but this is my first time experiencing this hotel. Came out to celebrate some family member’s milestone birthdays and booked a couple nights. Friendly staff, great service and wonderful time at Hollywood beach.

The night before last, a good friend of ours invited us to accompany her to Hollywood Beach for a Drum Circle. We had never been to one and were excited to go. There was a Full Moon predicted for that evening so that made it very special to us. We drove north on A1A to Hollywood until we reached Perry Street and then searched for a parking spot. It was not easy to find. The trail to the beach was not easy to travel either so those with walking disabilities would be advised to be cautious. You can probably make it to the beach but explore it first or use a walking stick.

We enjoyed our experience so much. The leader brought extra drums for those who wanted to drum. Other brought their own. All age groups participated. It is more of a quiet crowd. It was cold that night and luckily we brought a jacket. We got there just before sunset and stayed to see the full moon. What a gorgeous sight that was! The drumming was very soul touching. We will join our friend again next time she goes.

Do bring a blanket to sit on or a beach chair. Bring snacks if you like. Be comfortable. Be warm. Let your stress go.

I stayed at Costa Hollywood Beach Resort and had a fantastic time! Love how the hotel is right by the beach and has excellent beach service! Nate helped me set up my chair and umbrella and made my day at the beach perfect!

Absolutely beautiful town, boardwalk and beach. We loved our time spent in Hollywood. Lots of great places to eat, plus plenty of areas to observe nature or if you just want to relax on the sand, there is a world class beach.

Found this beach while visiting family in South Florida. The beach was clean and had plenty of parking within a short walk. One of the only beaches I found in Florida with a boardwalk which contained a nice selection of restaurants, bars, and gift shops for souvenirs.

Me, wife and my 5 month old baby rented a cabana at Hollywood beach. We were told the cabanas facing the beach are $150 I guess and not facing the beach $50. What the hell ! How in hell would someone go to beach and not facing the water. Just another way to scam people out of their money. Stupid and greedy

Enzo CJ and Jermaine were very helpful. They were awesome as a team. They were ready and available to assist with any thing that we needed. Offered to help move umbrellas throughout the day depending on the position of the sun and wind to make sure we had a great experience.

Enzo and Anthony helped me really good. They are very good attendance five stars. I recommend this place for everybody. The hotel stuff is so nice. Nice boardwalk front of the hotel. You can do a bike trip. This is my first time in this area. I will definitely come back here five stars

Germaine was super helpful and polite as he got us set up for our afternoon at the beach. We have used this service many times and have been happy with the service and location. My only suggestion would be that a half day price option be offered for people who can’t take advantage of being here all day.

Great clean and safe beach along the FL coastline. Stayed for over a week, plenty of restaurants and cafes and fun activities like beach swimming, bicycle rentals, outdoor music concerts, etc
Not too crowded and not noisy - pretty decent crowd. Bicycled daily from Hollywood beach to Dania pier. Travel to Miami or FTL or other northern cities would require Uber/ Lyft...there are public transport for Hollywood downtown area but can get time consuming/bus switching for far away locations. Best for peaceful relaxing, reading a book or working from a beach location. Conversational Spanish would go a long way too.

Ian was great getting us set up! It was a busy day on the beach and all the workers were very friendly and helpful adjusting our umbrella.

Went with a group of friends The service was great, we though we wanted a cabana but it was too hot for us, they were accommodating and switched to a umbrella instead. Enzo was very welcoming and set us up quickly

Reginald Cineas was such a great beach attendant he made sure that we were well protected from the sun and kept checking in on us and making sure we were happy with our experience at the beach.

I recently came to miami for art basel and I decided to stop by the beaches. Super beautiful waterfront seats , Amazing service from Jermaine, and a wonderful time at the beach! Jermaine is super friendly sets things up nice, fast , and neatly. He gave me an amazing spot and was super helpful throughout the process.

Every time I visit Fort Lauderdale, I make sure to stay near Hollywood Beach. It’s my go-to spot and never disappoints. I'm from NYC, and this is the only beach in the U.S. I keep coming back to. The atmosphere is always lively but relaxing, the broadwalk is perfect for morning walks or evening people-watching, and there's just something about the vibe here that keeps me coming back. Always a great time!!

We have visited this beach over a dozen times since 2014 and it seems a little run down now. Our biggest issue is the beach renourishment project (last year??) has made going into the water a very unpleasant experience. The beach slopes down at a severe angle and it is very uneven getting in and out of the water. Once in the bottom is uneven and has a squishy feeling. We accessed the beach near the Margaritaville hotel and Jefferson street and the experience was the same. So I would not recommend this beach for swimming, especially for the elderly. This time of year the water is a Caribbean blue, but not enough for us to come back.

Nate, was the person that helped us. You should really be grateful that you have him for an employee. He went out of his way to make sure the guests were taken care of. Not only is, but once I took notice I watched him doing the same for everyone else he encountered. Honestly, people like him are hard to come by these days. Truely cares about the customer. We would probably rent chairs from this part of beach even if we weren’t staying at the hotel we are at, because he made the experience so great.

The weather was fantastic, sunny with high temperatures in low 80's everyday. The water was clear and calm except for my last day when the cold front came through with blustery winds. I stayed right across from the Broad walk next to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. It was spring break and that being said near my hotel the area remained mostly calm. Hollywood beach was not overrun with Spring Breakers, a more reserved crowd took up residence with visiting Canadians, couples and families mostly near my spot on the beach. My favorite activity was walking and biking the broad walk and taking in the wonderful sights each sunny morning. My afternoons where spent relaxing on the beach and swimming in turquoise warm ocean waters.

Alex, Christian, Ally and Juan were great. Treated us nice and were very helpful and attentive to our needs! Highly recommend!

Alejandro and Lorenzo were our beach butlers and took excellent t care of us. The family had a great time at the beach in Hollywood.

These guys work super hard in the heat and elements to set everyone up and keep adjusting umbrellas for shade. 10/10 recommend

Anzio and Anthony were so helpful during my stay at Hollywood beach! We rented beach chairs and umbrellas two days and they carried them to our spot and turned our umbrellas as the sun moved!

Sebastian was great! He was super helpful the whole day and very kind. He wasn’t overbearing but knew when help was needed. The beach was great, water was clean, and the sunshine did its thing too! 5 stars all around.

It was a a great time to get away. Came from chilly, rainy spring weather to 83 and sunny. Customer service was excellent, anything I needed they provided in a timely manner. Staff was eager to ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything.

Happy that services are available. But the pricing could be better for two chairs and an umbrella. The cabana package for $50 sounds great until you realize those cabanas are located in the very back row, as well as facing the side. So you can’t face the water. Leaving the best option to purchase chairs and an umbrella for $20 each or the Deluxe Cabana (day bed) for $130. Towels are not included for the lounge chairs either. Aside that, we’re happy the services were available.

P.S. Lorenzo is super nice, personable, and checks on the guest throughout the stay.

Honestly, Hollywood Beach is such a great spot. There’s always something to do—whether you’re into water sports, playing beach volleyball, or just lounging with a good book and soaking up the sun. The vibe is chill but lively enough to keep things interesting. I’ve been there a few times, and I just like how friendly and welcoming everyone is. It really feels like the perfect place for a fun getaway, whether you're with family, friends, or even solo. Its definitely worth checking out.

Jayden was amazing! We had so much fun! We enjoyed the view and loved soaking up the sun! We will definitely be back for more adventures!

I've been coming to Hollywood for the last 3 seasons and your team in the hut is great. Christian in particular is great and I was happy seeing him again when I came down this year. His team always makes for a pleasant day at the beach that much better.

Nice beach area with plenty of restaurants right on the beach!Plenty and convenient restrooms! Lots of people enjoying the beach on the weekend. Plenty of parking on the surrounding streets and I saw a couple parking lots. The streets are tight driving down and you may have to drive around the block or to the next street a time or two to find a spot. It felt safe and family oriented. Rental bikes available. We had fun people watching. Oh, disappointed that they haven't reduced parking prices for the Fall/Winter like Pompano Beach/LBSea Beach! First time at Holleywood Beach, FL and we plan to visit again. I do prefer Lauderdale by the Sea Beach and Pompano Beach better, though!

This vacation was amazing! The hotel and amenities were great. The beach was just steps from the hotel and the service provided was amazing. Nate helped secure us a spot on the beach and was super friendly! You can tell the staff really strive to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Would definitely recommend!

CJ was great, got our umbrella set up and was very nice. We had a relaxing day at the beach. It was nice to have the Marriott bar right behind us, made it easy to grab drinks and food.

Just a quick trip report.
My bestie and I had a condo (airbnb) right on the Broadwalk from May 12 - May 17.
This was my first time to Ft Lauderdale area.
I was surprised to see it was not crowded at all. We had very warm weather - hot toward the end.
Having lived in SoCal near the beach for 20 years my expectations were pretty low, TBH.
I was very surprised how clean they kept the beaches and the Broadwalk.
The restaurants right on the Broadwalk are quite touristy but we still tried a couple and they were not bad considering.
I was definitely expecting more mosquitoes and other bugs but nope.
We ventured into town for an amazing dinner at Sixty Vines (actually we went for Happy Hour and had some small plates.) and we also ate once on the river side of Hollywood at a Greek restaurant called Taverna Opa which we also loved.
Over all I was very nicely surprised with our girls trip here.
The only complaint I would have is that there is still smoking allowed on restaurant and bar terraces. Something that SoCal banned decades ago - so shocking to see how far behind Florida is on this issue. Come on! Catch up, Florida! No one wants their dinner ruined with cigarette smoke from the other tables.
That is so surprising to me that this even still exists anywhere, much less in a beach town!

The beach at the Marriott was great. Staff was amazing. Ethan and Pj were very attentive. Made sure we had the spots we liked and that the umbrellas were set up perfectly/ even coming by to adjust them for the wind.

Alex and the rest of the staff were awesome. They checked in on us throughout the day, adjusted our umbrella, and gave us great restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner. It was truly an amazing day!

We stay at CHC a couple times a year and we always have had a great experience with Boucher Brothers. They are always professional, efficient and kind. Today we had Nick help us with the umbrella and he stopped by to see if everything was going ok. He was super nice and friendly!

What a Wonderful Beach and boardwalk!! Live free music Wednesday through Sunday at Margaritaville stage on the beach... Plenty of ice cream shops restaurants and fun on the boardwalk!!

This service was fantastic and the two young men helping do the work are polite, hard working, and kind! We ate staying at the Hollywood Beach Marriott. It’s all wonderful!

Very friendly and courteous service from Ale and BJ who set up our chairs and checked on us periodically to ensure our needs were met, especially when guests nearby to us were playing music louder than we would have liked. A beach good for family friendly has a wide boulevard that has shops restaurants hotels has security and places to have a good time if you want to have a drink or eat if you come alone or accompanied I recommend it is very nice parking if it is like 3 dollars and something per hour if you come to Miami have to come

It was such a great stay. costa is amazing. Reggie was so helpful. Costa is so well located near restaurants and activities. It is super clean and a great place to stay.

During our four days here, all the workers have been very helpful and kind. We had a different worker set us up each day and they were all equally competent and hard working. Would definitely recommend!

Marlon was a great host. We brought a church group out for beach baptism. Lots a kids and teenagers. This beach is great for families.

It was a really great experience, Alex, Sebastian, John and Nate were great beach attendants, they were so helpful and friendly. Definitely coming back with my family again!

The beach itself is lovely. Beautiful white sand, vividly clear water, refreshing sea breeze in the evening. We stayed at the Margaritaville, which is the center of Hollywood beach. They had free concerts in the band stand both Sat & Sun evenings (over at 9pm). Public restrooms there as well. There is a section of the boardwalk marked for bikes, but at night it's hard to see if you don't know...took us a min to figure it out. Beach was usually almost compeltely vacant before 9am, but crowded by mid-afternoon. During the day, it looked clean, and even at night we saw workers taking care of the trash cans to keep the area clean. In daytime it's a good family beach.

What I didnt' like (and understand, we're nearing retirement, so take that for what its' worth) was the section with the shops/restaurants along the boardwalk. Sat evening was fairly crowded. There were a lot of women wearing see-through pants or "cover ups" over their thongs or bikini tops, but in general they really can't rock it anymore. The guys were typical for an East Coach beach, but also tended a little older (30s/40s). We saw a LOT of tattoos, and very short spandex dresses on women trying to look like they were still 18. We did notice an unusal smell around the bandstand area - I think you can guess what that might be. All this gave the impression of a boardwalk that hadn't become seedy yet, but is on it's way. It wasn't as bad on Sunday evening, or as crowded. The restaurants are typically expensive beachfront dives, focusing on drinks more than food, and some blow annoying whistles to try to get your attention. We got a slice of pizza, and while acceptable, wasn't great.

We did try Le Tub, on the Intercoastal side, which had large sandwiches and decent food, as well as a bakery which served a good breakfast, but neither were on the boardwalk. The Hotel is a nice, classier oasis in the middle of this - but not really what I would call a resort. Still a very nice hotel, great pools, and different priced options for food. Quiet rooms. Great views.

In summary, lovely, well maintained beach. If you don't want to drink, skip the night life. Eat off- boardwalk for better food.

We actually went July 2024 & it was terrible! STAY AWAY FROM THE EAST SIDE OF FLORIDA! The residents treat white people like garbage! We got pushed off elevators, restaurants took our change if we paid with a $20, etc. they treat people horribly. The boardwalk was beautiful though, and the pool area. That’s all

I rented out an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. The lady in the front was quick and efficient with the payment. Jermaine helped us with our umbrella and even helped us carry our cooler. Anthony helped us with the 2 lounge chairs. Both very helpful and friendly.

Living in South Florida, Hollywood Beach is one of our best kept secrets. It's one of the only beaches with a boardwalk that u can park and get to everything, unlike miami & fort lauderdale.
It's always very clean, being a locals beach, and personally the safest beach I will take my kids to.
Food is amazing, cheap places to stay (although most boutiques are walk in reservations vs online).
Whenever I have friends come in town to visit, this is the place I suggest and everyone is always extremely happy.

My wife, myself, and some friends stayed at The Marlin Beachside in Hollywood for a weekend before leaving out on a cruise. The boardwalk and beach was constantly abuzz with people doing all sorts of activities but it never seemed crowded. The water was a little rough while we were there but I believe that was due to the hurricane that was brewing down in Jamaica. So, I never got in the water but definitely enjoyed relaxing on the beach and beach combing! We did have some light rain a couple of times but mostly blue skies and sunshine. There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to choose from up and down the boardwalk. We actually spent half a day just walking and shopping!! One thing that did stand out to me and I wish more beaches had, was they had a stand with buckets encouraging people to pick up litter on the beach. Very nice touch Hollywood!!! All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and would definitely come back again!
