What an amazing site! We were part of a large group of people going to see the sunset at horseshoe bend. There was room for everyone. We were able to get some great photos.
There is a walk to the site you need to be ready for but it isn’t too steep. $10 admission fee.
Don’t miss it if you come to Page!

very easy trail and so worth the stop amazing views 🥰 i just dont know how to rent a boat if ever you wanted to do the lake as well

Nice stop on our tour just wished we had more time here. Nice view from just about every view. Would like to go back one day.

I mean what can I say- it’s Horseshoe Bend!! It’s a stunning view that was even more spectacular to see at sunset! You park in a lot which costs $10 and then make the hike to the view. It’s takes about 20-30 minutes to hike the trail and it was quite hot even around 7pm so be sure to bring water. The trail is pretty flat so you don’t need to wear hiking boots - sneakers will do! It’s quite the build up to the view as you slowly get closer to the edge but once you get your first glimpse, it takes your breath away. I was too chicken to sit on the edge but luckily they have a viewing area with a fence and my husband and I were able to get a great view as the sun was slowly making its way down. So happy to see my tv’s screensaver in real life! Lol

It does cost money to get in...$10 per vehicle. So if you're going with a family, I would consider this well-worth your time. The walk out to the overlook is about 3/4 mile one way. We were only there for about 60 minutes in total to walk out, take some pictures/enjoy the views and walk back to the car. The views are incredible and while you could just look at pictures of the bend, it's way better in person. One warning though; the wind can pick up pretty quick and will blow sand hard enough to actually hurt or even scrape up the skin. I would strongly recommend wearing pants, long-sleeves, and maybe even some type of face covering if it's a windy day. Bring water if it's hot.

It is a must see wehn you are in or around Page, maybe on the way betwenn Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon.
The view is breathtaking and surely worth to stop there.
No foto can show the beauty of the real view.
Don't miss it if you are around.
It will take about one hour in total.

You have to pay to get in . The trail is gravel and has a steady decline. The views are amazing. You can see all over the canyon, get amazing photos. There was a small crowd there whi h made photo taking a bit awkward. But it was good practice for the crowds at the grand canyon. Stunning vistas. As basic as a an attraction can get for facilities. Pit toilets. But worth the trip.

Worth The Trip & 15-20 Minute Trail Walk. Beautiful Scenic Drive. We were able to take beautiful family pictures and experience this amazing wonder together as a family. $10 parking.
Will be back .....

Three weeks of traveling across America. 5 states crossed. Breathtaking vistas and top parks visited. But horseshoe bend was an absolute low. A stingy cashier snatches $10 out of your hands. So-called parking fee. Then find a parking space among the hundreds of cars and fully loaded touring cars. Once a place is found, the death march through Chinatown begins to arrive at a place that looks more like a rock concert than a national monument. Just skipping is the advice.

I haven't been here for a long time and the improvements they have made are amazing. there is a graded pathway down to the horseshoe that has rest stops and shade for those hotter days. The parking lot is only $10 which is very reasonable and the hike down is easy. The view is breathtaking as always. I recommend you go early in the day though as it does get very hot!

What a spectacular view! The hike is not too strenuous, but beware doing this hike at the height of the summer season as it is a HOT trek. However, there are a couple of shaded overhangs with benches to rest at if one gets too winded or too hot. The view is totally worth any discomfort.

Must-do if in Page. Very special place to visit, amazing nature indeed. Easy to access and just takes 1-2 hours

Such a beautiful place with an amazing view. Visited it few times already, in different times of the year and different weather. Always enjoying the views

Don’t miss the chance to see this picturesque location. No tour guide/group necessary. Only minutes from Antelope Canyon, Page, AZ. Large parking lot provided. Approximately a 10 minutes walk down to viewing area. Slight incline on way back.

You pay to park and walk downhill around half a mile to the viewpoint (two shelters en route to rest if needed). Views are spectacular but don't expect to be alone!

Great photo spot and an easy scenic 1.5 mile walk to the edge overlooking Horseshoe Bend. Be careful with little kids you can literally walk to the edge.

It's worth the walk. I never heard about the place and almost missed the opportunity. In my entire trip to the Gran Canyon, this was my favorite place.

Absolutely stunning landscapes, an extension of the Canyons mountain range!! October is very quiet to visit and the weather was pleasant... we loved it.

Beautiful!
Parking is approximately $10 per car. After about 15-20min walk you will get to the viewpoint.
It's really amazing, the view is spectacular.
If you are on a road trip in the American West, you must definitely go

Another great natural phenomenon. The walk out was well worth it. It was only a $10 entry. You could spend as much time as you wish there, but it only took us just about an hour.

A must see site in Page. Beautiful view from above the canyon. Easy trail to walk.
Makes you appreciate what the earth has to offer.

After leaving the Antelope Canyon area for Lake Powell, we took advantage of a dawn awakening to make a hook (highly recommended) to the Horseshoe Bend which is a must stop on a road trip in the American West. This place is a short drive from the town of Page (entrance fee applies) and offers an incredible and indescribable view of a Colorado arm that has a horseshoe shape. You have to walk for a few minutes from the parking lot before you get a full view! Not to be missed under any pretext so much the place is worth it. Duration on site: Approximately 30 minutes in total.

Beautiful view! There is a 3/4 mile walk to get to the viewpoint, but it is worth it. It's a quick stop with a short walk. Bring water.

Incredible the majesty of the place, as well as the un-security. Let's say there are no protections, you have to watch out for precipices. Beyond this with a little attention it is suitable for everyone, there is a bit to walk but the path is flat and easy to pursue. The Colorado River is its ride around the large central boulder seems drawn, the landscape is really gorgeous.
Between going, observing, taking some pictures and coming back it takes about an hour / an hour and a half
Recommended!!!

Beautiful, as in the pictures. But, extremely busy when we were there, with tourists not staying on the ( quite long) trail, going past gates and climbing on rocks for the “perfect picture”. On the trail two places to get some shade, very nicely done. Entry fee is 10$. Next visit will skip this and drive to Utah Gooseneck state park. There are signs to bring water, obviously for a reason as the hike is longer than expected and it gets very warm.

Beautiful. It's a word I use a lot right now with my Road Trip. There's so much to see. We stayed two days in the area. On

We stopped there between Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon in April. I was "afraid" to see Colorado in a brown color like the Grand Canyon but no, a blue-green color which contrasts very well with the color of the cliffs so still a magical place not to be missed... it's a lot but the country is so large that the distances to travel between parks and sites of interest allow you to better understand what the USA is

Horseshoe Bend is only 10 minutes away from Page, Arizona. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth seeing. There is a $10 charge for parking a car. There is a short hike to get to the bend, but then you can explore a little further once you get there. Amazing views!

We wonder how nature created the unreal beauty of Horseshoe Bend. Even after seeing it with our own eyes, we still couldn't believe how beautiful it truly is.
During our summer vacation road trip, we had the chance to experience one of the most unforgettable scenic places we've ever been to: Horseshoe Bend. Located just a few miles from Page, Arizona, Horseshoe Bend is one of the most iconic and breathtaking viewpoints in the American Southwest. This dramatic meander of the Colorado River, shaped like a horseshoe, offers stunning panoramic views that attract visitors from around the world each year.
When we arrived at the area, we found a well-marked parking lot for Horseshoe Bend visitors. From there, it’s about a 0.75-mile hike to the overlook. Upon reaching the overlook, we were greeted by one of the most spectacular views in the Southwest. The Colorado River makes a sharp, horseshoe-shaped bend, creating a stunning contrast between the deep blue-green water and the red sandstone cliffs. The overlook is about 1,000 feet above the river, providing a perfect vantage point for panoramic photos.
We stayed there much longer than we thought we would despite the heat of the Arizona summer. The view we saw was worth every moment spent under the sun. In our opinion, Horseshoe Bend is a must-visit spot in the United States that no one should miss.

Great famous Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River. The area has been upgraded with parking, walking path, observation area and security railings. Fabulous views!

This is a must do! Absolutely stunning! Very short and easy hike to an overlook. Once you get to the part of the overlook that is fenced off, keep going right. It gets very congested at the fenced part and that is not even the best view. The entrance fee is $10 a car. So worth the price.

We went mid afternoon, and the views were stunning. It was beautiful to watch nature in all its glory. The only downside is some tourists risking so much to take pictures. Oh well, that's not a negative about the place but a general observation. The place itself is stunning and well worth a visit.

There is a paved walkway to the edge of the canyon and once you get there you are stunned by the view. It is a very steep and panoramic view, with a small railing at the central viewing area. However, there are plenty of places to view the canyon from all around the site. Very easy access with public restrooms in the far corner of the parking lot.
It was pretty crowded when we were there, with the usual tour buses bringing hoards of selfie-taking couples and many people with a stunning lack of self-awareness that were doing what I imagine are pre choreographed Instagram poses in front of their photographer/significant other.
We actually went two days in a row. With the canyon appearing beautiful in bright sunlight, sunset and foreboding storm clouds. The site allows you to bring your dog. I'm not sure if I would trust bringing small children since the vast majority of the site has no railings and has. a steep 800 foot drop.

I guess they didn't used to charge to see this, but now you pay $10 when entering the parking lot. From there you descend on a half mile gravel trail to get to the overlook, it's not steep though. This is out in the open and there is only shade under two small covered stops along the way. Definitely carry water, have sunscreen or a hat when you visit. Once you get there, you can look down at the bend from the overlook. It was really busy and I had to squeeze between tourists just to take a photo. Then you have to ascend back up the gravel trail to your car. It's worth doing, just be prepared for the walk.

Spectacular view. The lighting changes depending on the brightness of the place.
$10 entry for the car
Bring water for the 10-minute walk to the site, in full sun.

This is a 1.5 mile completely exposed roundtrip hike with the only real scenery being Horseshoe Bend itself. There are two shading seating areas to rest along the route. We recommend going as early as possible as you are in direct sunlight the entire time. The walking path approach to Horseshoe bend is a steady decline as the return trip is a steady incline. There is a $10 parking fee that the City of Page charges to enter the site. Vault toilets available. The view itself is magnificent.

Amazing place to visit. Only 3/4 mile one way. Cost is 10 dollars; your national park pass is no longer accepted. But worth 10 bucks. It was over 100 degrees the day we went take plenty of water. There is a couple sun shelters on the path too.

Horseshoe Bend- well worth the visit. If it’s not on your bucket list- you need to get out more. Best time to see it- early morning - sunrise. In our case, after we did the Lower Antelope Canyon in the morning, we did massages at Lake Powell Massage and ate a lite dinner at Buddha Sushi then headed out for the sunset hour at Horseshoe Bend. Unbelievable!

So of course you know what it's going to look like before you arrive but it's still an impressive view. I will say I was not prepared for the parking fee ($10), or the crowd. We drove by several times while in Page and the trailhead is always full of cars. Still worth the short hike though.

Antelope Canyon was incredible. We stopped by Horseshoe Bend, and then headed to Flagstaff for a brief stay.

Amazing sight that you must see. It is a quick walk down a paved path to the overlook that does not disappoint! You will be able to capture great photos here!

I heard there was a 1.2km unpaved road from the entrance,
but the walk there and back was not too difficult.
As I walked through the dry land that reminded me of a Western movie, I occasionally spotted small animals such as squirrels
running through the grass.
Perhaps because I visited in the morning, the lower part of Horseshoe Bend was in shadow,
but the Colorado River meandering in a U-shape was beautiful,
and the surrounding scenery was something you would never see in Japan.

A must-see is this horseshoe-shaped meander that carved the Colorado River because it is definitely one of the most scenic and suggestive places in the world. Horseshoe means horseshoe, it is located a few kilograms from the city of Page, it is a work of art that among the most beautiful in Arizona with beautiful colors between the orange of the rocks and the green blue of the river, can be reached on foot in just under half an hour.

We left early from the city of Kanab to make tours in the area of the city of Page.
Our first stop was at Horseshoe Bend.
Postcard of the region.
Entrance is charged including parking.
From the parking lot to the point there is a short walk of about 10/15 minutes.
Bring water and apply sunscreen and wear a hat.
Make beautiful photos
We were there in the last week of July2025

The entrance is just outside of Page on Hwy 89. Entry is $10, paid before entering the car park. The walk to the view point is possibly half an hour if you are a slow walker.
We went at sunset and although there were a lot of people, we did manage to get a good vantage point to take photos.
Most people were being cautious while taking photos, but it amazes me how safe people consider themselves to be, when it only takes one small error.
It was interesting when the sun dropped, the show was over and there was a mass exit to the car park.
There is no shade, so bring along a hat. There are restrooms at the far end of the car park, but no water refilling stations, so bring plenty of water on the hotter days.

This can be seen easily on your own. There is no need to take a tour here. It's a one mile walk, however, in the heat, it is strenuous. There are two rest stops for shade, and frankly they could use more. Definitely bring water, a hat, wear sun screen and hiking shoes. Also at one point, it was windy and son and my hat blew off. Luckily someone was able to grab them, but I fell as I turned too quick on the gravel. Be aware and be sure to have them on.

On our 9-day Grand Canyon vacation, we decided to do both the South and North Rims. Only one way from South to North....you have to drive all the way around. We decided to take the eastern path, check out the east end when the Grand Canyon technically starts. One of the things that you really must see if you do this, is Horseshoe Bend. It's about a 40 mile detour off of Route 89 (20 miles there, 20 back), but I thought it was worth it. You won't see much on that drive, and it would look like you're in the middle of no where when you finally turn off the road to enter the Horseshoe Bend parking lot. Because it's Navajo land, they have the right to charge you to see it, and they do. $10 to drive through the gate. But that's a small price to pay for the pictures you'll get.
The challenge with Horseshoe Bend is the walk. It's a very wide crushed gravel path all the way down....and I do mean down. Not a big hill, but just a gentle decline all the way to the bend. It's about 1 mile, which isn't bad. But keep in mind, this is much lower elevation than the South or North rims, so the temps will be higher. The day we went, it was 96 degrees here (after leaving the South Rim that morning at 69 degrees). Most important, remember you have to walk that mile back to the parking lot, and it's basically an incline the whole way. There are 2 shade stations on the path, so use them if you need. And don't forget to take some water to drink!
In the end, yes it's a bit of a money grab, yes it's a bit of a hike, and yes it's going to be hotter than you'll experience at other places on the Canyon. But it's amazing to see, and the pictures I took there are among the top 5 of any I took the entire trip, anywhere else in the Canyon. So plan accordingly, and put this stop on your list.

Yes, this is one of those Instagram places, so be prepared to see a lot of selfie-sticks. It's a bend in the Colorado River, forming a horseshoe of the waterway with a brialliant canyon around it. It is very scenic, but in my opinion less so than, say, Antelope Canyon or even Navajo Bridge. Admission is not priced badly, so it's worth a stop if you have time, but I would not make time just to see this. The viewpoint itself is a short 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot, along a paved pathway.

Nice view at the cost of a $10 parking ticket. Well tended trail leads from the parking lot to the view point. Worth it.

Almost missed it! Driving from Bryce Canyon National Park to Grand Canyon National Park - the location is just outside of Page, AZ. Looks like just a parking lot as you drive up, but it's a relatively quick 1 mile walk over and around a bend for this fantastic view! They have a very nicely paved walking path to get to a great viewing spot. Definitely worth the stop!

It was quite a walk on the trail to see Horseshoe Bend, but well worth it. It's just amazing how the river cuts through the rocks. I wasn't going to go all the way down to see this, but I decided to do it. Coming back up the hill was challenging for me but I am so glad I had the opportunity to see this. It's amazing!

Beautiful scenic lookout outside of the Grand Canyon. Not too busy in the winter and wonderful to see so many nice colours (oranges, brown, green, blue). A nice trip outside of the grand canyon and near antelope canyon. Highly recommend.

Amazing!!! We stayed at the Baymont to explore Page. Took a horse riding at the Horse Shoe Bend. Learnt a lot about the city, culture, and Navajo nation.

We got to Horseshoe Bend around 9:30AM and we’re able to pay and enter right away.
Bathrooms are located in the parking lot.
The walk to the bend is .75 of a mile, easily accessible, and the views are absolutely amazing.
The best spot is right at the beginning of the fenced portion of the view point.
There are rocks you are able to climb and access for views, but my best photo came from the fenced area.
You can spend as much time as you’d like, easy to get photos without others in them if you are patient.
The walk back up is a little taxing with the elevation increase, but there are 2 different places you can sit and catch your breath if needed.
We spent about 2 hours here, and by the time we were leaving there was a line to enter that was about 10 cars deep per lane.

We went in the late afternoon and it didn't seem busy at all. The long trail down to the viewpoint helps spread the masses out I think. There were plenty of vantage points to take a photo both behind the fence or if you're brave/a fool then plenty of surrounding rocks! Easy parking too so put it on your list!

$10 parking even if you have the national park annual pass. The trick is that entry is free, but the city of Page manages parking. In return, you get a parking lot with unfriendly staff and a really disgusting toilet facility that you rarely see in the USA.
The Horseshoe Bent is impressive, but the path there is like the cattle drive in Austria. Overcrowded with tourists and if you want to take a photo, you have to stand at the railing. It would also be enough to look at the 3D image in the national park app. Anyone who goes down will certainly have impressive pictures.

A spectacular view, after a short path of a path easy for everyone.
The presence of other people does not affect the suggestion that you feel in admiring this spectacle of nature from above.
Just look out at the railings, without venturing, as so many do, on the sloping rocks, at risk to their safety.
One of the most beautiful places in the world.

Fabulous views of one of the sharpest curves in the Colorado River. 1.5 mile walk (round trip) from the parking lot on paved path to the rim. Only $10 per car to park. The view is stunning and there is a bit of walking and hiking along the rocks on the rim. Loved seeing this iconic spot. Boats below looked smaller than ants. It is only 10 minutes south of Page, AZ.

We were driving from Springdale to St. George, and we decided to stop by in Page to see the Horseshoe Bend. It was superb. There was a small parking fee and after parking you had to walk on the trail for around 30 minutes to reach the bend and enjoy the view. Walk was easy, and only a bit up and down and the view was too good. You could see the horse shoe bend from top of the mountain. Some kayaks and boats were also visible way before. I would recommend this a must stop for an hour or so if you are in this area.

I could have spent hours looking out over the river. The loop is a little over a mile. In the Arizona sun and after a day of activity, it seems like a long walk, but it is worth it. 10 dollar entry fee.

It’s obviously a one of a kind thing to see. The walk can be hot, so be prepared with water and sunscreen if you need it. There is a charge to park.

Must see but will say it's a bit of a hike down to see it and because we went in the morning half of the monument was cast in shade slight incline heading back so for those who are elderly or aren't physically able be prepared but worth it if you can get down

Enjoy a short walk to get a great view. Parking fee is charged per car - I think $15-20. The trail is well maintained - would classify it as “easy.” People come/go so do not get worried if there is a full parking lot.

You have to have been there and feel it!
It can't be described in words...
We stayed in this place in November. The temperature was very pleasant.
Whether it was because we were in the low season at the place 🤷♂️ I can not say but it was not overflowing from the tourists...

The Horseshoe Bend is an excellent representation of the beauty nature can hold. The view is nothing short of a 9/10, and is a staple of a Arizona. The walk to the bend is about 3/4 a mile there and 3/4 a mile back, and isn't very interesting on its own. However, the view more than makes up for it.

TBH having seen the photos I figured they had been filtered etc.
The place is incredible worth double the entrance fee.
1 piece of advice - avoid the restrooms unless you’re desperate, basic is kind!

Very popular for good reason. Easy walk down to a spectacular view. Tons of people but there's room to spread out and see the view. There are sections with railing or you can walk right to the edge with no railing (be careful).

The views from the Horseshoe Bend overlook point are incredible. A short easy hike (10-15 minutes) takes you directly from the parking lot to the overlook, and you are rewarded with amazing views of this unique bend in the Colorado River. The site can be rather crowded, which may hinder photo opportunities as there might be people in the background of your desired photos. Horseshoe Bend is not far from Antelope Canyon, another site of stunning geological beauty. Both sites can easily be visited in one day.

Very nice place, impressive.
Don’t hesitate to go a little further as the viewpoint where the crowd piles up (butts after, where there are overhanging rocks)
10/15 min walk.
To do

We were actually on a raft in the bend earlier in the day. Then we caught the sunset from the top of the Horseshoe Bend.
There’s a very long walk to see this and it’s not paved. The walk is a good incline. BRING WATER!!!! Good walking shoes, sunscreen.

Even though I went early in the morning, there were already quite a few people, and it was hard to find a quiet moment to take it all in. Also, the short hike from the parking lot, while not too difficult, can get a bit tiring under the sun, so bring water and wear good shoes.
Still, I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the Page area. It’s a must-see spot, just be prepared for it to be busy. Sunset is especially beautiful, but that’s also when it’s most crowded.

Stunning. To do absolutely
Bring a hat and water.
Easy walking
Done in less than an hour
Worth the detour

A nice little walk and pretty views. It was a little crowded but not bad. It seemed lots of folks were going for that “instagram” photo. But despite all that, it was still pretty and worth doing.

This place is magical. It is truly breathtaking. Pictures don’t do it justice. I highly recommend going to see this amazing natural beauty. The walk from parking was fairly easy.

Views are amazing but if they can charge $10 a vehicle to get in you would think they could afford somebody to police all of the people going past safety railings and standing literally with their heels over the edge showing off for others. There were at least 10 people that did this in the short 20 minutes me and my family were there. We really don’t need to witness people die regardless of how stupid they are. Look it up, there have been several people doing this that have fallen to their death there.

This was a fun place to see. The walk from the parking spot is about 15-20 minutes each way with a little bit of incline on the way back. Take care while out by the river as some areas don’t have a guard rail.

It was nice. Neat to see. Easily accessible but very crowded. Next time, we will add more adventure by going out on the water.

Horseshoe bend is awesome looking down on it. Don’t miss seeing it.$10 per car and a short hike will get you there after ample parking. It closes at sunset.

Obviously a very well known place. Undoubtedly a very fascinating place, but which, however, does not deserve full marks.
From the city of Page it is about 15 minutes or a little less. Very crowded parking at a cost of 10 dollars. We had the terrible idea of including Horseshoe Bend in the travel program by inserting it after the morning trip to the Antelope: result, Horseshoe at 1pm: terrifying!! 40° and blazing sun unacceptable. The path from the car to the horseshoe is dirt, but very wide and the slope is slight, but constant. Descent on the way out and uphill on the way back. Once you reach the viewpoint there is a small part of the "terrace" protected by a parapet, but 95% of the panoramic area is totally unprotected. The show is certainly fascinating, but not even comparable to other places. If you give 5 dots to this, then you should give Bryce 15...
Advice:
- Avoid hotter hours. The path is totally in the sun, except for a couple of artificial metal canopies (oven effect) that protect you from the sun but it's not really great to be under.
- Bring water for the journey, even if it is short. And definitely a hat
- If you go with children, be VERY careful because the viewpoint is really very exposed, very dangerous
- To take better photos, a cell phone or camera stick is recommended

We stayed in Page to visit Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and a few other beautiful spots in the area. As a complete experience, it’s definitely worth the visit—just seeing Horseshoe Bend alone would be a bit too short. There’s no entrance fee for Horseshoe Bend, and a large parking lot is available. The walk to the viewpoint isn’t difficult, and about two hours is enough to explore and enjoy it. The view is stunning, and it’s a popular spot with plenty of visitors around.

Yes, the views are beautiful. Yes, the walk down is less than 15 minutes. My reason for 4 stars is because it costs $10 to get in and you cannot return on the same day. We went at Sunrise & no, they don't open so you can get to the bend by sunrise. We waited 30 minutes for them to open AT sunrise, which is fine. It is their park & they had signs stating that they are open sunrise to sunset. We just did not realize they did not open so you can see the actual sunrise happening as you have to park & walk down to the Bend. Yes, there are bathrooms in the far back corner as others have stated. We stayed about 30 minutes & would have loved to have returned later in the day to watch the sun go down, but not for another $10. ;) It wasn't terribly crowded when we arrived, but the busses started arriving about 10 minutes after they opened. We just hustled down the path & got a spot before the crowds got too heavy. It is lovely...

superb landscape to see absolutely easy to access 10 euros parking provide plenty of water but the site is large and clean

Gorgeous! Such a beautiful place to visit. Once you get to the site, walk off to the side and you can get away from the crowd and even better views.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs in Page. About a 20 minute walk each way with rest areas and sunshades. Amazing views, breathtaking. $10 per vehicle.

Horseshoe bend was so amazing. I have seen pictures of it Facebook and travel sites and had to see it in person. I was not disappointed. It is an amazing site that God created for us to enjoy!
It was $10 to get in which was fine. The walk was about a mile round trip which was fine. Wear a hat because it’s hot and sunny. Would love to take a boat ride through it. Maybe next time. This is a must see for all!

You only have to read the reviews to know this place is truly special. The view of the Colorado River carving its way around the canyon is breathtaking. Unfortunately, at sunset it can feel somewhat marred by the sheer number of people all trying to capture that perfect photo. It loses a little of its magic when you’re shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of others.
What made it special for me was climbing up onto a rock away from the crowds. My photo might not have been the perfectly symmetrical shot everyone else was after, but the quiet moment of watching the sun dip behind the canyon without people right next to me was unforgettable.
What really shocked (and honestly scared) me was the number of people edging dangerously close to the rim or even standing on overhangs just for an Instagram-worthy picture. Watching them take such unnecessary risks made my stomach turn. In my view, there definitely need to be more barriers to protect people from their own recklessness.
A truly unexpected highlight was a small men’s choir who suddenly broke into song as the sun set. Their voices echoed through the canyon and it was the perfect way to end the visit as we walked back to the car park.

Price that absolutely justifies the sunset show (recommended time). After about 20 minutes walk, from the parking lot, you are in front of this breathtaking spectacle of nature. Indescribable

The best views! This place takes your breath away! It is enormous and fantastic! The trial to get to the horseshoe it’s very short and flat. Once you are there you can enjoy the view for a while and walk around the stones!

Amazing place. Very beautiful. Can be crowded. Nice parking lot. Trail has been redone and has a few rest areas on the way to the bend. However the trail is short and easy to walk. Parking cost $10. Very worth the stop.

Amazing wonder nature, Walk 1. 5 mile in total, abundant sunshine, they have sheds which helps. Bring water bottle to avoid dehydration.
Safe for everyone, theres fence . Theres only a parking fee. Theres restrooms. Overall, excellent experience.

Visiting Horseshoe Bend is nothing short of breathtaking. Standing at the edge of this iconic natural wonder, with the Colorado River winding below in a perfect horseshoe shape, truly feels like a little slice of heaven. The sheer beauty of the canyon and the vibrant colors of the cliffs and water create a moment of awe that stays with you long after you've left.
The walk to the viewpoint is manageable, with a well-maintained and fairly easy trail. It's about three-quarters of a mile each way, and while there's a slight incline on the way back, it's accessible for most visitors. One wonderful aspect of the experience is that the trail is wheelchair-friendly, with paved paths that allow everyone to enjoy this incredible place.
That being said, the popularity of Horseshoe Bend means there are always lots of tourists. It’s worth noting that some people seem to disregard the clear signs warning not to go past certain areas, risking safety for the "perfect picture."
Despite the crowds, standing at the overlook is an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting during sunrise or sunset when the light creates incredible shadows and enhances the colors of the canyon. It’s a moment that truly feels otherworldly—like you’re standing at the gates of heaven. If you’re debating whether to visit, don’t hesitate. Horseshoe Bend is a must-see that lives up to all the hype.

We stopped 2 nights in Page on our tour of the parks by car. Needless to say that horseoe is beautiful, better to say that it is unmissable for those who come here; as unmissable is antelope canyon (we have seen the lower). The car park costs 10usd and then it takes about 15-20 minutes on foot to get there, on a comfortable and wide path very frequented by tourists, passable even with sneakers in good weather. The impact is to be left speechless. The photos do not give an idea of the vastness of the panorama and the height of the Colorado bend. The sun is very strong and there is no shade, except for two canopies along the way made especially for shelter. Bring water, sunglasses and headgear.

Best place to visit . Do not miss nature’s creation in lower antelope, grand canyon. We took bus trip from Las Vegas to grand canyon.

Beautiful but not beautiful.
To get to see this bend of the Colorado River you have to walk a quarter of an hour under the sun. The cost of parking is $10 for cars.
Once you get there don't think you'll find much. Just a bunch of people photographing the scene. For sure it is a natural formation that deserves to be seen, but if I think of all the beauties that are around then it is not worth much. The Antelope (which is the nearest attraction) is incomparable, much, much better.

After a walk of about 15 min you will arrive at the edge of the canyon where you can admire the beautiful twirling of the Colorado River around a giant spur of red rock.
You have to be careful because to take good photos you can risk slipping down.
A spectacle of nature not to be missed.
$10 parking space.

Gorgeous views of Horseshoe Bend. Easy to find. Must be able to walk or have someone help you. There are benches along the way for sitting if needed.

An unmissable stop for an on the road tour that includes Arizona, spectacular views, very easy to reach if you make a night stop in Page (10min), enter the park, park and walk for 5min to be amazed by the view!

Nice walk from the parking to the point, where you have magnificient view over the Grand Canyon and the river below, but it can be quite windy there

It is beautiful and you can take exactly the same picture you see everywhere about it without any selfiestick or drone . The view is beautiful. Though we read online that it was free but it's $10 parking. And few minutes walk from the parking lot.

Nice park and the canyon is beautiful. It is about a 15-20 min walk down to the canyon and a 20-25 minute hike back up the slope from the canyon. It can be strenuous if in heat of day. But definitely worth the effort.

This was such a great stop and worth the $10 parking fee! Nice walk on a paved trail to the overlook 🤩 I can’t get over how stunning it truly was 🏜️✨ and we saw a decent amount of lizards!something I would come back to see again for sure

Beautiful but business to death
To think that 10 years ago, this site was lost and free .. at the bend of the road, above a stop, we could see this breathtaking view
And now we have to pay, pay, pay
So yes go for it
But make yourself a budget visit

Went here for an 1 hour or so as part of the tour. Stunning location but bit windy at the top. Near colorado river and also near the city of Page.

Beautiful view a short distance from parking lot right off highway. Easy access with gentle elevation change.
$10 vehicle entrance fee - worth the time

An impressive view that could make some people dizzy.
The site is invaded by tourists but you will not lack viewpoints to admire this wonder or photograph it... 📸
Allow 10 dollars for parking.

What a great view, a bit sad you have to pay to visit one of the worlds great wonders. make sure you take some water during the hotter months

Stoped by and got positive surprise over the amazing view of the river.
It is at the same time sad to read about the low water levels and the consequences.
I would recommend any to go and experience this

Awesome visitors center/access; the trail to the viewpoint is easily accessible with many spots to "sit a spell" and rest if one is not used to the elevation and trail conditions (which were easy!).

Horseshoe Bend is an amazing site in Glen Canyon Recreational Area. We were told that it used to be much more difficult to access with unpaved paths. But today, there is a paved path with several places to sit down along the way. Going to the bend, it's mostly downhill and maybe 1/2 mile? Getting back to the parking area is mostly uphill and more difficult. There is no place to get a drink along the way, so make sure to bring water and wear a hat.
Horseshoe Bend is a sandstone escarpment carved by the Colorado River. The red stone is stunning and it's hard to get a bad photo here. There is a $10 charge to park in the lot. Although we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Horseshoe Bend, we were more than a little unnerved by how many people climb on the rocks, outside the fenced area. Many do so for pictures and/or selfies and we heard that each year, a few tourists end up losing their lives by falling into the canyon. You can apparently get great sunset photos here, although we went in the late afternoon. The park closes at dusk.

Fantastic place - for me one of the most beautiful and mystical places in West America - the sight blew me away. We were first there in the early morning, where the Colorado shimmered greenish and made a great picture. But the highlight was the sunset at Horseshoe Bend, which surpassed everything. Simply overwhelming and a must when traveling through the western United States.

We visited this place at sunset. The scenery was postcard-perfect. Unfortunately, the row that is created on the parapet takes away much of the atmosphere that this place would otherwise offer.

It is definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a short activity with not much hiking and with a beautiful view. The fee for the parking space is 10$ what can be paid by credit card, you have restrooms in the back of the parking space and the 15 min. walk towards the platform is a wide path well maintained. You can not climb down towards the lake for obvious safety reasons and there is no more exploring around it, but the view is beautiful and peaceful. We were lucky that not many visitors were there (days after the Thanksgiving weekend) and we could take pictures without having people blocking the view.

This was one of the highlights of Page AZ. It's a little bit of a hike down to the overlook, but its worth the effort. They charge you to park, but it was only $10/car

It was overcrowded during our visit. But I would say i was worth it. The view is beautiful. It gets really hot so have to take precautions.

We went just before sunset but lighting would be much better early morning.
Crowds were insane!
A breathtaking view of the Colorado River, definitely recommend

The trail and Horsehoe Bend are beautiful. They have done a great job of maintaining the integrity of nature all around you, even with such a touristy spot. We had a terrible experience at the gate to enter however, the woman at the gate was very nasty from the time we pulled up. She made it obvious that she didn’t want to answer our questions and snapped at us when we asked how long the trail was. She was absolutely terrible. Due to that we decided to leave and came back the next day and we’re greeted by a lovely gentleman at the gate. They shouldn’t have employees who hate people at the gate but besides that we had a great time.

This gorgeous lookout is also known as the "East Rim" of the Grand Canyon. The Colorado River is said to have begun its meandering journey here to start carving the Grand Canyon millions of years ago.
It was really HOT on the day that we visited, and the 3-mile round-trip would have been a problem had we not come prepared with hats and neck fans. There is practically no shade anywhere – except for a little rest area for people to sit if they do not want to attempt the hike.
The walk is a fairly easy one to reach the lookout, but can pose a little bit of a challenge on the return journey because of the upgrade. The time spent here was absolutely worth it. There were quite a few people at the overlook point, but they move around quickly, and everyone can get some great photos.
If you are in this area, this place is a “Must Visit”. We are glad to have checked it off our bucket list.

The best is said to be the timing of the sunset, but in the afternoon it looked very beautiful in the hoof-shaped rock sun. Anyway, the scale is huge! From the parking lot ($10 parking fee), you can walk 1.2km each way for about 15 to 20 minutes, but there are no steep hills and it is easy to walk, so people who are unsure of their physical strength can rest easy. It is also easy to reach for individual travel as it is so open that there is no doubt about it (although rental cars are essential).
If you are afraid of heights or your child can stand on the fence, or if you are brave enough, you can stand on the rocks and peer in!

This birthday trip is absolutely amazing and checks off a big item on my bucket list! Horseshoe Bend is one of those classic experiences you have to have when visiting the Grand Canyon area. It's super easy to get to from Page, Arizona, making it a must-visit if you want to see that iconic Horseshoe shape.
Situated just south of Page, this area is the ancestral land of the Ancestral Puebloan, Paiute, and Navajo tribes. Horseshoe Bend is part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and there’s a $10 fee to enter. The hike to the bend is a short 1.5 miles and pretty easy, taking about 30 to 40 minutes to finish. Along the way, you’ll come across a shaded gazebo where you can learn about the area's history and what to expect at the halfway point of your hike.
Once you reach the bend, you’ll be blown away by the stunning views. The overlook offers a perfect view of the bend, and honestly, photos just don’t do it justice. To keep everyone safe, the National Park Service added railings to the cliff in 2018, but it’s still smart to stick to the paths and enjoy the scenery instead of just chasing Instagram shots. Overall, it’s such a fantastic experience.
Parking is all paved, and you can bring your trailer or RV to designated spots, but no drop-offs are allowed. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, but overnight camping or parking isn’t permitted.

A must-see while at Page! The path from parking to the viewing spot is flat and easy to traverse, with a couple of resting spots along the way. Initially, the path goes up a small uphill rise, but then it’s downhill to the site. It’s mostly uphill going back, but not too strenuous. We went at sunset, which was very popular. Lots of great viewing spots. The view faces west (into the sun). We were lucky and there were clouds on the horizon that softened the glare of the sun and provided additional color. We also went at sunrise, which was very peaceful and less crowded.

Wonderful view...
Paid parking... it took about 20 minutes to get there. The view is wonderful, a fantastic place with a view of the Colorado River.
Getting back is a little sweaty due to the heat but it's worth it!

Beautiful at sunset, but $10 to park to watch a bunch of German and Japanese tourists almost get themselves killed climbing all over rocks at the edge of a steep drop for Instagram profile photos. Just skip it.

Beautiful place to get pictures. It does get hot and crowded and you need to walk a ways to get there and back so bring a cold water bottle with you if you are there in summer. Real Kodak moment, bring a camera.

Would have enjoyed it more if it had been cooler. Hike was fine and views were amazing. I was surprised the water wasn’t as blue as the photos show.

Boring walk leads to a beautiful view. The parking lot is approximately one mile from the rim. The walk to the rim is a wide trail through the desert scrub until you reach the viewpoint. The official railed-off viewpoint is quite small. Plan on spending less than 5 minutes here. The best part of the experience is beyond the view point. There is a short fairly easy trail that leads to the top of a rocky bluff that offers spectacular views. Hiking around and to the top of the bluff is what makes the trip to horseshoe bend worthwhile. Otherwise, it is just a brief photo-op. There are also some rocky overhangs before the viewing point that we saw many people walking along that may be interesting as well.

Beautiful spot - great photo opp! We went in the morning around 8am because I didn't want to look into the sun. It was a good time, as the sun was behind us. The colours are stronger in shade and do get a bit washed out with full sun. The viewing point (where the tour bus people go) was getting busy by 9am. There are loads of places where you can get a good photo and see the water at the front - just go right (or maybe left - we went right) of the viewing platform and climb around on the rocks. Our children loved climbing on the rocks - stay low though, the higher you go, the more the view of the water at the front of the bend is hidden by the rocks.

Pretty impressive from high up as you see in most of the pictures, less impressive from the ground. This stop offers plenty of opportunities to get really close to the edge of a huge cliff for better views

This was our second visit to Page, and our second visit to Horseshoe Bend. Things have changed a bit since we were last here. There is now a huge parking lot where you pay the $10 parking fee. Note that if you return later in the day, you have to pay again, It's a one time entry.
Since we had seen Horseshoe Bend at sunset before (and wanted to avoid the crazy crowds we had that time), we decided to visit for sunrise. I'm glad we did that. Different colors and different photos than last time.
We arrived a little after 7:00 and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a while. We wanted to sit and enjoy the view some more, but by around 8am people started flooding the place. A tour guide was rude enough to make us get up from the place we were sitting, move out of the way so that he could take photos of all the couples in his group, one by one. Since he was so pushy, when he was done, i made him take a photo of us as well :) There was also a big family with a child that kept screaming so we cut our visit short and left.
A great place to visit, mesmerizing.. The walk there and back is about 1.5m, but you can spend as much time there as you want.

My mom and I visited Horseshoe Bend during a 10 day trip from Washington to Florida and are glad that we did!
We drove from Page, Arizona, which was a 10ish minute drive. We did not realize that you had to pay an entrance fee to get into this area, but we did it anyways.
We parked and walked down the trail to the viewing area and were amazed at how picture perfect horseshoe bend actually was. There were a ton of people at the bottom, but we were able to get great pictures, the best being from the actual viewpoint made (with the hand railing).
The other spots are on the cliff beside of the viewing area, but be REALLY careful because one wrong step and you'll be a goner!
Overall, this area was beautiful and is worth the $10 (I think) entry fee!!

Sunrise at Horseshoe Bend
We lived in Page and had 8 km to the place. Kept in a queue at the entrance to the car park, as it only opens at sunrise. Beautiful to look at the mountains out on the horizon being illuminated by the morning sun. It takes about an hour before the sun sets on Horseshoe Bend.
It is 5-600 m to walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint - this on a nice, wide gravel path that goes slightly downhill all the way out.
Beautiful place. Should be experienced if you are nearby.
Parking is $10

Horseshoe Bend is a beautiful horseshoe-shaped meander (hence its name) dug by Colorado, located in Arizona south of Page at 6KM. This is for me the most beautiful thing I saw on my California journey I found this image from above frozen in time and it is a beautiful image that I will keep in mind

Amazing views and only about a 10 minute hike/walk to get to the views. Went just after sunrise and it was BEAUTIFUL. It was shocking how easy it was to access.

What we liked most about the entire west coast route. My 14 year old daughter liked it more than the Grand Canyon itself. When you go, you already have an idea and you expect what you have seen in a thousand photos. But when you see it live and direct you are left speechless at the perfection of the landscape.

The parking problem is very annoying. It's a pain for old people. You have to walk constantly. It won't be that much of a problem for young people.

We first went at 2pm and it was PACKED. It was hard to get a good picture with so many crammed into the main viewing area. We decided to return early the next morning and there was just a handful of people. While the bend itself was shaded in the early light, it was still beautiful - and so much more enjoyable without the heat and crowds.
One downside: there was litter around the edge of the viewing area. A little more attention to clean-up would help preserve the natural beauty.
All in all, a must-see spot. I do hope some of the parking fee goes to the National Park Service.

Not the ideal experience today. While we were waiting in line at the gate, signs were taped up advertising "Cash Only". We typically do not carry cash in tourist areas. We are more of a card only sort of family. We got to the gate and rounded up only three dollars of the 10 buck parking fee. There was zero mercy shown by staff. They were unapologetic about telling people to drive back to an ATM in Page.
This place is a cash cow for the city of Page and today would have been the day to just let people park for free until they fixed the POS problem. Or they should have a backup plan in place using Venmo or Square. Today they ensured that a full vacation to Page AZ is out of the question.
It was very crowded, even on a Tuesday afternoon in the off season. We got "the picture" and left. The number of people was insane and the number of Little Rock towers left by visitors was disconcerting.

Short hike, can be hot in the summer, but they have a few shaded seating areas along the way to stop and rest, if needed. Lots of photo ops even with the crowds. Hikes it with a baby in a carrier with no problems. Worth the quick stop.

Great hike to the rim. Great views.
Quite a long walk in the heat and sun, we did it at 2pm was hot, hot, hot.
Take hat, plenty of water. Limited shade.good parking and toilets. Gravel track to lookout approx 1.5m out and back 2 rest spots limited shade. But beautiful views.

The river view is stunning. Be cautious along the edges because many individuals have fallen into rivers and died. We went for sunset and it was the most crowded and full of people; you have to wait for a picture without getting someone in it. You pay $10 for parking and hike for about half a mile to the view. Absolutely worthwhile and highly suggested for anyone visiting Arizona.

We drove out here after our tour at Antelope Canyon. It was $10 to park and an easy walk less than a mile to see the river bend. I recommend going to see it.

A great river adventure with spectacular views.
Prepare to get wet if the wind increases.
Our guide was informative and loved her job . She was concerned about everyone and offered drinks after the float.

On our USA tour of course also visited .
10 Doller admission for parking I find ok .
15 min walk to Attraction nice and cozy
Huge Breathersubend beautiful
Worth seeing 100%
Toilets extremely dirty unfortunately but we yhuman unfortunately do that ourselves .

Horseshoe Bend was on both my girlfriend's an my own Bucket Lists. We are both avid photographers, so this was one of the big stops on our Las Vegas/Grand Canyon/Zion trip.
As has been mentioned, there is a $10 parking fee to get in, which is a bargain. There are "fancy" pit toilets up by the parking area. You then walk out the the Bend overlook. It is the desert all the way out, so bring water for sure. They have installed shade areas with seating every so often, which will be nice in the summer. Once you are there, you sort of jockey for a good spot to get some pictures. Even on a weekday in March, it was very busy. There is an area with a railing and then a whole area past that that you can walk/climb on for different aspects. Be careful. It was not as if you are on the edge of a cliff, but I'm sure some people think they can go right up to it and get that crazy Instagram photo and there is nothing stopping them from falling off a cliff in the process.
I suggest you bring at least a 16mm wide angle lens or wider with you if you are bringing a camera. 16mm may be pushing it if you want the whole bend in the photo. My Samsung S22 Ultra's wide angle was perfect for it.
Also, the walk there and back is a little strenuous as it is not flat, so take your time if it is very hot out. I'm sure people overdo it there.

Very nice place to view this horseshoe bend. Beautiful view. You have to pay admission. Small walk there from the parking lot. Pretty busy.

It may look less than stellar in the pictures, but it truly is beautiful and I’m so glad we went. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the cliff. We did it around sunset and I do recommend that time of day. There were many people jostling for the best view so you can’t be shy and you have to ask them to move so you could take a picture too.

Under a blazing 40 degree sun, we reached this beautiful site... and made beautiful photos... fortunately 2 shadow points were installed on the course to blow, because the trail is not easy in this heat .. a big plus parking at 10 dollards and nothing more, very good to visit without ruining..... Because the 2 attractions in the area are overpriced....

We saw Horseshoe Bend twice. Once in the one mile walk from the public viewing area along with 100 other people, and the second time we saw it on our tour with Horseshoe Bend Tours and 7 other people. This tour the view was off to the left side a bit, but still had a great view and it was on the Navajo Reservation and there were nine of us so we had some great views to take pictures. The walk was a very short distance from our tour vehicle. Our tour also included Secret Antelope Canyon which was spectacular. Highly recommend it.

We stopped here on our way between Grand Canyon and Zion. It was a little out of the way, but worth it. The view is breath-taking. The park, run by the City of Page, costs $10/vehicle to enter. (National Park Passes are not accepted here.) There is a large parking lot, which was not filled on a Wednesday morning in late June, and Clivus Multrums to use for bathrooms. The walk to the bend is about a mile and a half round trip and there are two decent sized shade structures on the way with benches. If you have plenty of water and rest at these structures, even less athletic people can make the trip in the dry Utah heat. We saw some people with mobility scooters on the path, so it is accessible to those as well.

This is a must see an easy to reach. Awesome nature view, horseshoe band in page, Arizona.
It cost $10 to park, there’s plenty of parking and restrooms too. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the edge, the first section has guard rails, but, you can walk north or south along the rim to experience the view for many angles. Just be careful not to get too close to the edge!
The view is everything that the picture show, Absolutely fabulous!

We came to Horseshoe Bend twice. Everything super organized, unfortunately there are always some unreasonable who risk their lives for the snapshot of life .....
Ambience: Magnificent
Price / performance: 10 USD// car
to recommend: repeatedly

We visited a couple of days before Thanksgiving. At around 10 in the morning the parking lot was more than half full. There is a $10 parking fee and restrooms are at the far end of the parking lot.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the bend and 20 minutes to come back. The trail is easy and suitable for seniors and little children.
The views are breathtaking. Surely, worth a visit. Not a good place for meditation as it can get really crowded, however, if you visit during less visited times, you might get some peace and quiet to enjoy the awe-inspiring sights. There are railings where you can safely look down, but I saw some people bending down where there were no railings. I would not recommend that.
Except the parking and the restrooms, there are no other amenities, so bring plenty of water and snacks to eat in the parking lot where there are plenty of trash cans.

If you are going to be in page,az , you should make a trip here. The actually trail to horseshoe bend is free but you need to pay $10 for parking. Keep in mind, if you exit for whatever reason, you will need to pay again upon re entry.
It’s an easy short hike to the bend but there is no shelter from the sun. So bring some water as it can get hot, especially in the summer months.
I would give 1-1.5 hrs time - for the leisure hike to/back from the bend and also for pictures.
Overall, recommended. It was a very nice view.

$10 per car, good value for 2, great value for a family. Park and walk 15 or 20 minutes slightly downhill gravel path to the view, a few minutes longer uphill return. And what a view. A brilliant geographic marvel, deep green water on our day backed by hundreds of feet tall red cliffs on a tight U bend with the water dis-appearing behind more bends up and down river. A fantastic sight.

View of the Colorado River forming a horseshoe nestled between the rocks. Rather overrated compared to other scenic places. No public toilets/water facilities on site. Definitely improvable

Horseshoe Bend itself is beautiful, the downside is the crowds it draws. It took away the magic of the place. We were there at sunset, maybe it’s better during the day

We just parked and did the short hike to the overlook. We enjoyed it and it was worth the $10 entrance fee. If you are in Page you need to do at least the overlook.

Great views. Only concern was people don’t stay on the path.
It is almost a mile walk out and back. Take water and wear comfortable shoes. Take your time.

The walk to the viewing area and the view is worth the $10 entry fee.
However, the restrooms were beyond gross - totally unacceptable. Tip - do not use them

We parked at the public parking lot. The fee was $10. You get to the viewpoint via a very easy gravel trail. The view is simply breathtaking. However, the point was very crowded with tourists taking photos.
The Horseshoe Bend is definitely a must-see!

This hike was short and worth it. We went in December, around 130pm. The weather was pleasant (no wind). It cost $10 per vehicle to witness this view. It was not crowded and we were able to get many photos.

Horseshoe Bend Page AZ
Sight was spectacular!!!!!!
Easy short hike from parking lot to lookout point.
$10 parking fee.

a great view! free rein to walk around as long as you want. long walk from parking lot. rolling 1/4- 1/2 mile trek on gravel path.

We went at sunset the first day and it was super crowded! I always look for the people set up with their tripods and camera for the best vantage point. It’s scary that people are willing to climb the rocks and get on the edge for photos! We went back the next morning at sunrise where we got our best photos. It is less crowded in the morning. I will post one photo at night and the others will be morning photos. I would have a wide angle lens if you are using your camera or you won’t be able to get the whole view. Our GoPro was perfect for that. The phones takes great photos too but you won’t be able to enlarge one of those like you will with a camera set at RAW+fine. The moon was a BONUS!

Really enjoyed the site and gorgeous view! It’s a wonder of nature. We went around 4:15 and it became very chilly after sunset.

easy but busy walk to see this sight. parking costs $10 a car and lot was packed. So many people all clamouring to get photos at the edge, some far to brave it seemed but cool to see

Worth doing but get there early as it does get busy. Can actually do this the same time as Antelope Canyon, Despite all the signs posted asking people to stay on the trails, you guessed it, many ignore them. Some people are standing way to close to the edge of the rocks taking selfies and we wondered how many fall off a year!!!! There is a platform that is fenced in but obviously crowded - that is why if I was to do with friends visiting would get there early. Cost is $10 for up to 4 people in car. Does have washrooms.

Great location to visit with friends and family and even dogs. You don't require a tour for visiting this location and there is plenty of parking with a constant flow of tourists moving in and out of the pathways. This time of year not busy and great weather. A bit of a walk down then uphill on the way back but easy due to the way it has been made. Awesome picture spots and totally worth it.

Go early and walk around. There is a trail beyond the Bend which we walked along. The crowds can be terrible and with all the “instagram a-holes” taking risky photos it’s best leaving all that nonsense behind and taking a hike around the area. We even saw a tourist jump over a cliff onto another and almost fall off. Please be careful and respectful when you visit the area.

Beautiful view of the famous Colorado elbow charged 10€
Be careful in the afternoon , Colorado is in the shadows so a little sad:
Prefer in the morning!

What an amazing experience. Our trip was on 3/27/24. The weather was amazing. We took the 7mi trip. It's entirely up to you how far you'd like to kayak. You have up to 16 miles to choose from, I believe. The drive alone to Lee's Ferry was incredibly scenic. Kayaking The Horseshoe Bend was an entirely different kind of amazing.
I overpacked. We didn't take a dip in the water, but that is an option. The water is very cold. We spent 4 hours here. You can easily spend all day here. There are some restrooms along the river, but there is one at their parking lot too. Bring a hat for sure, snacks, water, and sunscreen. Ask your backhauling captain for any tips and pointers. They help you through the entire prep process. Be nice, and tip your backhauling captain. Keep this gem clean as is. Don't be a litter bug.

I'm an AZ native and had always heard that Horseshoe Bend was right off the highway and a must stop and see. I brought my 3 sisters with me (ages 52 - 65) to see it while we were in the area. Nobody had warned us that it was a 3 mile round trip hike. If they had we would have prepared better - better shoes, more water...and maybe waited until the temps were not over 110 degrees. Two made it...snapped a couple of pics to prove they had actually made it and two stayed behind huddled beneath the last available shade spot hoping for the return of the other two.
This is not the fault of the attraction - but I think the next time I bring anyone to see it, I'll make sure it isn't July...

So glad we planned this stop on our trip! $10 to get into the park, had standard park outhouses that were decently clean. The walk to the viewpoint was longer than I expected but oh so worth it! 10/10 recommend!

Ok so we went on a Saturday, got there around 4 pm. Good amount of people but nothing too crazy. Walk to and from the bend was relatively easy but we got caught in high winds - about 60+ mph.
HOWEVER - this is worth checking out - absolutely gorgeous views and wonderful scenery. So many opportunities to take photos! We went with our kids and they had a blast!

This place was in our bucket list for some years and finally our dream came true!
If you love to travel, this is a must! All the area is so beautiful! Highly recommended

Despite the hot weather, it's a must.
The scenery is spectacular and worth it 100%!
It's awesome to be there and see it with your own eyes!

This is an excellent view point of the Colorado river bend. Nice viewing area.
Except, there is an unexpected (by me) $10 charge to park and walk to the viewing site. Nice parking lot sure ... a reasonable path ... some fencing so you don't fall in ... all good. But did not feel like $10 worth.

Horseshoe Bend is one of the most photographed places in the world and I'm grateful to have been able to shoot my very own picture of this work of nature. The place isn't hard to find, with its parking lot just a turn from the highway. The parking fee is $10 and you can stay there for as long or as short as you please. The hike is less than a mile and is easy going down, with mild difficulty going back up. There are no regular bathrooms and they only have porta-potty so make sure that you bring your own sanitary wipes. Overall, it's worth the visit - especially if you're in Page, AZ to go and see the Antelope Canyon. The proximity of these two places is within minutes from each other.

A walk in the scorching sun and then... a wonder of nature opens up before your eyes that seems unreal. Horseshoe Bend is perfectly carved, with that meandering Colorado River that looks like it came out of a postcard. It is one of those places that make you feel small and lucky to be there. I recommend going there in the late afternoon for the golden light!
A walk under the scorching sun and then... suddenly, this natural wonder opens up before your eyes. Horseshoe Bend is perfectly carved, with that iconic Colorado River curve that looks like it came out of a postcard. It’s one of those places that makes you feel small and incredibly lucky to witness it Tip: go in the late afternoon for that magical golden light!

We decided to stop here on the way from Bryce Canyon to the Grand Canyon. This was only about 10 minutes away from the Glen Canyon Dam and was $10 to park at. The trail leading to the overlook is paved and takes about 15 minutes to walk to the end. You can take as much time as you want and there are railed areas and other areas that are open to get the best views.

This is an incredible overview of the U bend in the Colorado River. Advise if you are going in summer go early before it gets too hot and bring water it is somewhat of a hike from the parking area and you are coming up a gradual grade coming back from the view.

Stunning. No other way of describing it. It’s breathtakingly big and dramatic, and it’s mesmerising.
Vertigo sufferers and those afraid of heights beware, the drop is sheer and almost certainly fatal. There are no rails. Hold onto your children and belongings. It’s accessible to all via a hard gravel track of about 3/4 of a mile total. You can be at the bend and back in no time. There is fee at the entrance which is negligible. Take water. It’s insanely hot in the summer and the short walk there and back takes its toll in the heat. Do not take dogs to this location. It’s just too dangerous in so many ways.
Lots of people stack rocks here in little piles. Please don’t do it. They collapse onto small wildlife (lizards, mice, snakes etc), often killing or injuring them.
Well worth a visit if you’re out that way.

Horseshoe Bend was absolutely exquisite in the early morning light, shortly after dawn. The "hike" on the paved path to the viewpoint is on a gentle incline, but easy to do. The walk is also dog-friendly. The pictures barely do the sight justice. The size of the formation, the texture of the rocks, the general silence make the experience simply wonderful. I would suggest, if one is going in the morning, to arrive early enough to make the walk and take your photos before 8 AM or so, which seemed to be when the horde of tour buses arrive and unload.

We come to the American West to contemplate these kinds of unique landscapes. Short walk in full sun before reaching this sumptuous view of the Colorado. Fast and effective.

This is one of those famous Instagram-worthy spots. Parking costs $10, and there’s about a 20-minute walk to reach the overlook where the Colorado River makes a stunning 180-degree turn. It's beautiful, but also crowded. Realistically, you’ll probably spend no more than 20 minutes taking in the view and snapping a few photos.

We visited this beauty during our road trip to Antelope Canyon. Located near Page, AZ, this is a must-see attraction. Very minimal hike from the parking lot may be a mile and a lot of beautiful rock formations to take pictures too. Then, once you reach the actual horseshoe viewing area, the beauty of the colorado River is just amazing. There is a parking fee for this place. must see attraction when you visit Page or Antelope canyons. Enusre you have 1 to 2 hours for this gem.

Beautiful easy hike to Horseshoe Bend. It was a hot day so we went early. There is a $10 fee to get in and you have to pay twice if you go for sunset and sunrise.

Ehh…I’m not sure the 1 mile straight up after seeing the green water of horseshoe bend was worth it. I probably wouldn’t do it again.

An absolutely beautiful spot to be at sunset. A note of caution in that a lot of people arrive beginning at about an hour before sunset, so there early and grab a spot for your photo.

At Horseshoe Bend, I stood in awe as the Colorado River curved around towering cliffs. Despite the crowd, the sight was unforgettable—a raw connection to nature's beauty.

My daughter, Ashley enjoyed her birthday trip. She loved the views, and then enjoyment and excitement of hiking.

I short walk on an asphalt trail. Easy to access. I recommend getting there at least one hour before sunset. Beautiful views. I recommend this activity.

...Chevy Chase / Vacation moment for us. Granted, it's a photogenic view, but not much else. Crowded and windy during our visit.
If you're in the Page area already for something else, it's worth seeing. We found similar views of the Colorado (albeit not circular) at the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook and at the Historic Navajo Bridge (Marble Canyon) without the crowds and the $10 parking fee.

It is worth seeing and the hike is short and the path is wide for handicapped individuals. The best time to go is when the sun is high so you're not there when the bend is shaded, like in the early morning.

A spectacular site, preferably at sunset. Be careful, the site is quite far from the parking lot; have a good 15 minutes brisk walk, and the sunset lasts little. Besides, there are a lot of people.

We arrived at Horseshoe Bend around noon, finding an unlikely amount of people despite the heat. Admission has a cost of 10 usd per car, regardless of passengers. There is a walk to reach the famous viewpoint, almost entirely under the sun. Nice, but to take a decent picture you have to wait your turn and this takes away some poetry from the place. In any case, Page has such a wealth of stunning sites that it would be a shame not to visit them all.

Not worth the hype. If you see one photo on the web, that’s all you need. You have to pay to get in, but the worst is WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE, all running around not paying attention, especially when there are overlook places with no guard rails and a sheer, deadly drop off the edge.

I didn't want to miss Horseshoe Bend, and I wasn't disappointed. The view is breathtaking.
Allow $10 for parking but it's worth it.

Absolutely beautiful. The path to the viewing area was pretty flat and easy to walk. The parking lot was easy to access. The view at sunset was amazing! Looking forward to a return trip with my family.

horseshoe bend was breath taking. Pictures do not do this landscape justice. Our tour guides were very helpful and informative. We were picked up at treasure island in Las Vegas. We made a stop at a supermarket to get whatever we needed and to use the restrooms. After horseshoe bend we headed to antelope Canyon. My family chose to do the upper canyon. It was amazing the way that nature sculpt it and colored these rocks are unbelievable and again pictures. Do not do it justice. I would definitely go back and do the lower canyon in the future

The view of this bend of the Colorado is spectacular, which will lead you to take lots of photos. I recommend visiting in the morning, as the return journey from the car park (even Indians adapt to the cost of living and today it costs 10 USD) is not exactly short with a slight uphill return.
However, a spectacle to see and enjoy sitting on the rocks...

One of the best views you will ever get to see! Cost is only 10.00 dollars and there’s bathrooms available to use prior to going to explore.

Parking for $10 is very expensive for it ultimately being just a photo spot.
A lot of tourists.
Terrain mostly not secured so not so safe

$10 per car and a 15 minute easy walk to see this incredible sight. Plenty of places to chill and take pics. The guy at the booth was super friendly. If you can stop, you should.

Horseshoe Bend in Arizona is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its awe-inspiring beauty. This iconic viewpoint offers a stunning panorama of the Colorado River winding in a horseshoe-shaped curve, framed by dramatic red sandstone cliffs.

A short walk to the viewpoint rewards you with an impressive view of Horseshoe Bend. Even though it wasn’t the height of the tourist season, you need to navigate and wait your turn for photo opportunities.

Hike is not strenuous. Kids and elderly was on the trail.
The look out at the top is well worth the trip. This was our second time viewing and it did not disappoint.
The viewing deck is always very busy. Do yourself a favor and walk to the right of that out on the rocks and get a Birds Eye view! Great photo opts out there minus the big crowds!
Place does get very busy so be prepared for lots of people!

The view from the lookout point is amazing. Worth the very short (0.75 mi) walk in the sweltering heat. There ate a lot of people there but plenty of space to get amazing photos

The parking lot is so far from the horseshoe it’s pitiful with the equipment they have nowadays there’s no reason for the parking lot to be that far away. I guess it’s OK if you’re 18 years old with those older people in this country that paid for these parking lots, the restrooms are on the other end of the parking lot which is also pitiful, this is one of the most poorly planned places I have seen, For elderly people.

This is a remarkable meander of the Colorado River near Page, AZ. In order to see it, you need to follow an out and back trail for about 15 to 20 minutes each way. The walk has some elevation gain, but the payoff is worth the walk. The only downside to this attraction is that you must pay $10 to park.

Horseshoe Bend is absolutely stunning — one of those views you’ll remember long after your trip. The curve of the Colorado River, framed by the red rock cliffs, makes for a jaw-dropping panorama, especially around sunset.

Beautiful walk of about 40 minutes to reach Horseshoe Bend, formed by the Colorado River. It is located a few kilometers from Page. You pay a $10 parking fee for your car, then continue on foot through breathtaking scenery.

This place was beautiful. It was a clear sunny day so the view was amazing. At first we were confused and thought we had to go through the main entrance of the park but turns out it has its own parking.

Picturesque. It almost looks fake, it’s that iconic. $10 to park. Fairly quick for that prize but the view is unbelievable. Trail is like 3/4 of a mile and fairly flat. Definitely not strenuous.

One of the most beautiful views in Colorado. Award of admission is acceptable. An unmissable family visit to Page!!
Consider taking water, and especially a good cap

Here's the deal: The view of Horseshoe Bend is very unique and worth seeing, but prepare yourself for the heights. I got a little anxious about getting too close to the edge (and more anxious about other people who were taking some pretty big risks to get good photos). I personally would not bring young kids here, but saw plenty who did and did a good job keeping them contained. Things to know: You hike about a mile roundtrip. The terrain is a gentle incline and manageable but the Arizona heat can be brutal. Bring lots of water!

Horseshoe Bend is absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful and surreal places I’ve ever visited. The view is unforgettable!
However, I advise avoiding summer visits due to the heat. The 15-minute uphill walk can be tough, especially for older people or those not in good shape.
Overall, it’s a magical experience, but plan wisely!

For those who've never been, this is the most beautiful place on earth! Pictures don't do justice. Go at sunset time, and you'll be blown away!

Nature does things really well . near PAGE and the POWELL Dam this is this site where you can admire the Colorado meanders.shaped horseshoe, it's just superb.
For information it will cost you 5 dollars to park

The pictures don't do it justice. This is another of nature's fantastic gifts.
Obviously it's well worth going and the car park is massive, so there is plenty of space, but be aware that the walk to the viewpoint is quite a bit longer than I was led to believe. Probably too 20 or 25 minutes to get there and then of course it's uphill on the way back. If it's hot, be prepared.
Stick to the path too and don't be one of those ignorant cretins thinking they're clever by taking a short cut across the grass.

Loved seeing the Horseshoe Bend. They do charge you $10 per car to visit. It was about a 20 minute walk up and down a winding gravel trail. We were there shortly before sunset which was a perfect time. The weather was cooler than if done in the middle of the day. There were a lot of people but the view was spectacular. We were happy to visit while in Page.

So many sights to see in Page and surrounding areas. Horseshoe Bend is a self walking tour, $10 to park, then the time and pace is your own. Note that as many people say it is an easy walking tour, it is all uphill returning after viewing this AMAZING sight. To complete this it's about 1 and a half miles, so know that half of that is returning back to your vehicle going uphill.
If someone is in wheelchair I think it would be very difficult to push then back, but I'm sure there are those of you that could. Take the treck, you only live once!! Beautiful sight to see!

Just a quick 10 minutes from our hotel near the dam. Nice parking lot ($10/car). Quite a few people but never really felt crowded and everyone was polite and helpful. No fee to enter. A very easy hike approx. 1.5 miles total.

Stunning views, especially at sunset. The parking lot and view area is incredibly crowded. Absolutely stunning but be wary or crowds and people very close to the edge.

I regret going here as it was a waste of time. You cannot get past all the international tourists who have no manners. They just pick a spot and take pic after pic after pic and never move out of the way. Extremely entitled and rude. It's hard to get a pic and there are no barriers, etc. People walk all over the place. The Natives who run this place do not care, they just take you 10$ and that's where it ends. People standing on all the rocks, not caring about anything, etc. We went to the Grand Canyon after this and it was so peaceful after this. So calm and well organized. Glad I went and saw it (I guess) but not worth it. Save your time! Go some place else unless you like crowds consiting of entitled tourists who barely understand this is not their back yard but a place to share with everyone.

Pull up and pay your $10 to park a car. Walk 10-15 minutes in the sun down a winding path. Get to the canyon edge at the viewing platform. Take your pictures. Walk back. Along with hundreds of other visitors. Many of whom we saw in Walmart about 10 mins later(!) having presumably “enjoyed” a similar experience. It was memorable for seeing some idiot get close to falling over the edge as he had to get his photo perched on the edge outside the safe viewing area. If you wanted to continue you could walk around the side. The view from the platform is good - including down to the bend below where boats and kayaks were moving around - but if you’ve seen the photo at the car park you’ve kind of seen all there is to see. There was more on view in Walmart :), including a 9ft(?) high skeleton for $289 plus tax. Weird!

At sunset, we park in the parking lot ($10 per space). There is 0.6 mile to walk, it is not a difficult walk, but it is very busy, and sometimes by tourists who do not take into account the paths and the plantations. The view is magical when the sun sets, but sometimes you have to elbow your way to get closer.

The site has an incredible charm, it allows you to admire a spectacular canyon from above.
15 minutes of walking in the sun, and nothing more!

Located just south of Page is the parking lot for access to the river.
The entrance fee is $10, money well spent on the view.
After parking in the lot, it is about a 15 – 20 minute, nominally flat walk to the overlook. Bring water and a hat, as there is really no shade except for one rest area about 1/3 of the way to the bend. We visited in mid-June, about 1100 and it was already hot.
This affords splendid views of the river bend.

Great view. A must if you are close. Short walk from the parking lot, which costs 10 dollars. But nothing against Grand Canyon.

Definitely a must-see on tours of the West Coast + hinterland, very beautiful at sunset with truly beautiful colours

Beautiful lookout point. Takes about 20 minutes to walk out to see the views from parking lot. $5-10 fee at the gate and then enjoy

A nice walk down to the viewing area. Not as fun going back which was mostly uphill.... but the walk (both ways) was worth it as the views were incredible! Some areas have rails, others don't - be aware if you have children with you.

Beautiful overlook, definitely a must see in Page. $10 to park is a bit of a money grab, but oh well. The walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint is a little long though. And we did the walk during a summer afternoon, so it was brutally hot with no shade, so please keep that in mind.

The views were great but there were so many swarms of gnats when we visited.
There was a storm approaching when we arrived so we waited it out and sat in the car for about 10 minutes.
Swarms of gnats were everywhere - on the walk to the Horseshoe Bend and the upper & lower areas. Still worth it despite being so buggy.

Great view and great atmosphere, especially in the evening at sunset. You have to walk about 15 minutes to get to the cliffs. The path is well maintained.

A fantastic creation that you can stand and watch for a long time. You can take as many photos as you like but it’s hard to capture the magic that should be experienced on site. You walk a short walk here and it's definitely worth it.

Still an amazing natural sight to see, but the tourist made it difficult to enjoy. We had gone in 2010 and had much of the place to ourselves. Now the city charges for parking and there were tons of tour buses. With people everywhere it was hard to get good pictures. Plus many of the people decided to stand at the cliffs edge despite the crowds and people not paying attention. We spent about 5 minutes there and left because of the crowds. Also there was tons of trash thrown down the cliff side.

Gorgeous view, 15 minute walk downhill to get there, 15 minutes uphill to get back.
The park charges $10 per car to park in the lot.
It’s a must see when near page, az

What contrasts in the middle of July, between the red rock, the blue water and the green junction. The site is beautiful, but in full sun. Count on good sunscreen, water, and exorbitant parking fees. Watch out for the viewpoint at the cliff, despite the crazy guards, the tourist can be pressing.

One of truly spectacular sites worldwide - an amazing curve of Colorado river.
This was our second visit after the previous one in winter 2018. That time we've visited around 11 AM and lighting was much better than now when we came at the ''most popular time'' before sunset, as well with much less crowds that time.
Therefore, just to inform travelers - coming at sunset means:
- difficulty to find a free parking spot,
- walking with hordes of people to the bend and back,
- huge crowds by the bend - on the viewing platform and on the rocks around, and
- most important - sun is behind the bend meaning distant views are great, but the main stars - the Horseshoe bend and Colorado river are in a shade looking dark without any light - the only reason I rate 4 stars.

This place is as beautiful as you think it will be, but be prepared for a lot of people, but so worth it to see this magnificent place!

Loved it so much. Went around 1 pm and had amazing views with good lighting for photos. The trail is easy, well-paved with 2 shaded areas. I use a cane and had no trouble. Take water!

Visited here recently. Incredible view of the Colorado river. For anyone considering visiting here something to think about. It cost $10 per car to enter, larger vehicles have different prices. The parking lot is probably between one half to one mile from the attraction. The road is slightly down hill and they do provide shaded benches throughout the trek. Totally recommend visiting in the winter months. The walk in the heat was brutal.

We stopped at this place to stretch our legs on a long drive. It's short hike, overcrowded, but very pretty. Parking costs 10 bucks. If not for the crowd, it would have been a great experience.

To see the Horseshoe Bend you must pass a box office that charges $10 per car.
Once parked you do a few kilometers on foot and along the way there are 3 canopies where you can rest away from the sun.
Beautiful view of the Colorado River.
The best time to go there seems to be lunchtime, because the sun is over the Horseshoe and illuminates the river well; but it is very hot

I was surprised that this place has paid entrance. It's actually quite crowded and on its peak days it's possible that you won't get at the parking lot. My recommendation would be to come when it's not high sun yet.
In any case, this is a nice short walk from the parking lot to the view point with the overlook at the Horseshoe Bend. If you are in the area, I would still recommend to visit it, as it's one of the must-see places.
At the overlook, you will spend some time taking pictures. I would say that unless you go for a hike, in 30 minutes you won't have much left to do there.

Easy walk downhill from the parking lot to the bend. Once you reach the bend, there is 1 area with rails - in case you aren't fond of walking on the edge of the cliff without a safety barrier. We visited around 11am and the sun was starting to cast a shadow on the bend. You can walk all over to get the best view, just watch your step.
The walk back to the lot is at a slight incline, so you may get a bit winded on the return walk back to your car. There are a few port-o-potties in the parking lot area, which were nice to have available. I didn't notice any other services, so bring your own water and snacks. There are a few covered benches along the trail where you can sit down and enjoy the view.

What a great unplanned stop while visiting Antelope Canyon. It cost $10/car and was worth every penny. You need to be able to make the 15 minute walk from the parking lot to the rim. Good for families with children who listen to their parents.

We stopped by Horseshoe Bend on February 6, 2025, around 4 PM, and wow — it did not disappoint. Right from the start, the experience was great. The lady at the parking entrance greeted us with the kindest smile and made us feel really welcome, which was such a nice touch.
Parking is just $10, no extra fees, and honestly, totally worth it for what you get.
Now the view — absolutely jaw-dropping. Photos really don’t do it justice. It’s one of those places you just have to see in person. That said, I did notice quite a few people getting way too close to the edge trying to get the “perfect” photo. Just a friendly reminder: no picture is worth risking your life for.
All in all, this spot is 100% worth the stop if you’re in the area. Just be smart, stay safe, and soak in the beauty!

This spot has a beautiful view of the Colorado River. The view is spectacular and is definitely a must see. There is plenty of parking and a short walk to the viewing area.

Spectacular. We were fortunate enough to see it from this angle the day after we kayaked the river and saw the view from below. The sheer depth and size is incredible when you are looking up from the bottom. The parking lot is a bit of a mess sometimes but there is a lot of parking. Is a fair walk from the lot. Many people go outside fence for unknot reasons to me. The rush of folks trying to take selfies is amusing.

35 dollars entry even if you stay there for 5 minutes… the Novaks have to come back down to earth! Everything is expensive about them and a smile and kindness optional! Be careful one day you won't have many people who will pay to come!

Tip from me is don’t necessarily cram where everyone else is. About half way along there’s some rocks that jut out over the canyon. You can get a great pic from here with no one else near you.
Well worth the stop but you only need 30 mins here. It’s so hot and once you have the pic, well that’s it.

It is really worth a walk of about 10/15 minutes (from the parking lot) to admire the Horseshoe Bend, a narrow and winding curve that the Colorado River makes, forming a horseshoe bend, from which it takes its name, which is about 10 miles (16 km) from the Glen Canyon Dam.

We visited Horseshoe Bend in the early afternoon. It was quite crowded, but it wasn't to bad of a visit. Really neat to see and we recommend stopping here.

I have been seeing photos of this place forever and couldn't wait to see it for myself. I had no idea how commercial it was. Very crowded. Looooooooong walk down to see it from a very small over-crowded overlook. Super disappointing.

I don't recommend this stop. The walk from the parking lot is hot, dusty, and unremarkable. Once at the overlook, there is only one view and a lot of people - almost no shade. The walk back is slightly uphill. If it's a cooler day and you really want to see the Bend, go for it. Otherwise, I'd pass.

So the sight is great. From the parking lot is a nice way to the viewpoint. But there it is fierce what people make for a photo incredible. Admission fee is due here as well. But nevertheless a recommendation from us.

Hi another must see activity, it’s on the 89 just after page. It costs 10$ . Park up and walk half a mile down the gravel track and you see an amazing gorge bend.
Well worth it.

Beautiful place. However, it is a tourist attraction so there is plenty of people. Be prepared for crowded areas. It is a short walk from the parking lot, easy trail. $10 to park.

The truth is that it is just a viewpoint with great views, but I think it is essential in your experience around the area.
Really the visual impact that vision generates when you look at the viewpoint is unforgettable. Indelible. Only comparable to when you arrive at the foot of one of those iconic monuments. And that's a great feeling...
It's those moments you'll always remember. That impact, those two seconds of silence, that expression of admiration... These are very special moments, increasingly difficult to experience and that justify all your efforts to be here.
But you need planning...This is far from everywhere... Although if you have been in the area for a while, you will have already found that, here, the term "near" does not have the same meaning. Everything here is far away. It is really important to plan your route well to try to optimize your time.
And carry everything you need. Everything. I still don’t understand how in this country they don’t exploit these kinds of places that attract so many people anymore. Yes, there is a huge parking lot and public toilets, but nothing more. No souvenir shop, no official photo, not even a place to sit down for a drink or buy a bottle of water. Nothing. I'm surprised.
There is a walk from where you leave your vehicle to the viewpoint, maybe 20-30 minutes without too much unevenness. No problem. But in the middle of summer... with the climate of these places...you have to take it into account.
Good footwear and plenty of water.
I ended up buying a metal thermos to carry my water, which I was filling at gas stations...
I thought I never would...

A breathtaking view like you see in catalogues and on TV. The abyss is not secured everywhere. If you are a little afraid of heights, like me, you can choose the secured area to enjoy the view.

If you are in Page, you should definitely visit Horseshoe Bend. The parking fee is 10 USD, and there is no additional entrance fee. From the parking lot, it is only a short walk along a well-maintained gravel path to the bend. The view is truly fantastic and a great subject for photos and selfies.

Went to Horseshoe Bend during the crush of sunset visitors. Beautiful Park and trail! View is amazing! Very little to no shade so prepare accordingly.

A classic postcard spot, this particular 'curve' of the Colorado River is truly breathtakingly beautiful. You get there with an easy walk from a parking lot (for a fee) and once you get to the rooftop terrace you open up to the eyes a truly incredible sight. Recommendation to go there in the middle of the day to avoid shadows that can cover the river a bit. Anyway... Not to be missed at any time of day

This is a quick stop with a walk down to Horseshoe Bend. It was super windy on the day we visited, but the views were still amazing. There is a path with rest stops, so it is an easy walk to the viewing area. We stayed for about 30 minutes and then went on to our next stop.

The park is free but the town makes you pay $10 to park in the lot. About a half mile hike to and from to see the river bend but so worth it. We hit it at sunset and wow. Crowds were average but so much room didn’t even make a difference.

Bucket list check!! I had seen the iconic photos of this view for years. Could not wait to see it in person. Breath taking!!

Traveling with my sister, not teens. Wonderful photo area. Not of just the Horseshoe Bend, but the entire surrounding areas. Sunset best rtime to go, but leave enough time to walk down to Horseshoe Bend, which is about a mile.

The view at Horseshoe bed is very good. If I were in or near Page Az I'd do it. I'm not so sure I'd travel out of my way to do it. It's $10 a car to get in. You have to walk 1/2 mile down hill to the view and 1/2 uphill to return. It's well worth the $10 and the walk. I actually like the view at Goosenecks St park in Utah as well or better than Horseshoe bend. You can drive your car right up to that view and it's $5. I'd do it if I were in South Eastern Utah.

One of the highlights of our trip! What a beautiful sunset in a special place. It is definitely touristy, but definitely enough place for everyone. Don't skip this and if you can visit this place with sunset, do this!!!! Walk from parking lot is 10 min, and certainly not heavy.

The place is spectacular, it deserves a lot, you are enchanted by the colors and grandeur of this wonder of nature. Unfortunately it is not so easy to take decent photographs, due to the large crowds that visit this attraction. We went on an organized excursion from Las Vegas, which also included the Antelope Canyon, the time available was very little, also considering the time used (about 20 minutes) to reach this splendor on foot from the car park.

A stun Anyoning few of an extraordinary piece of nature. Certainly go there when passing by, but it is also worth the detour or even the trip. From the parking it is a 1,2 km walk with a mild incline over a good pathway with two shelters for a rest. Anyone can do it/

Wonderful view ! No words !
I just hope for you that you won’t be welcomed by a Young blond girl who acted with completely disrespect with us.
No smiling, no hello, no thank you, she nearly throw the ticket in the car and clap her Window right after.
If you read this, you should think about your attitude at your work. We came on july 22 at 18pm in a black car and i asked you if we did something wrong to be treated like that. Maybe those informations will help you to recognize yourself.

Just an hour, an hour and a half. There is a hike, usually under the scorching sun, after parking at about a kilometer.
The great thing about this place is the colors. You may have seen series of photos from various perspectives, but then when you are there you realize that it is worth going to see for yourself.
Consigliato!

Must-see place, the most beautiful and exciting thing ever seen. You arrive on foot via an easy route of about 20 minutes. You leave your car at a parking lot for $10. Go in the evening from 6.30pm because at sunset the water turns blue and everything becomes magical.

We were told to expect a 20 minute hike from the parking lot to the lookout. We spent about two hours hiking and climbing around to get different angles. Spend some time and soak it all in. There are no concessions, so carry water if you expect to need it

There is a modest fee to enter the parking area and a short walk down to the view point. Once at the viewpoint you will see it was well worth it. One thing to keep in mind is the many, many selfie takers trying to get their perfect photo. Some of them are hanging on the cliff side, not recommended. This is a very cool natural wonder.

Short easy walk down an incline to amazing view of Horseshoe Bend. Even with crowds there was plenty of room and lots of vantage points. There is only one area with a railing, so keep an eye on little kids. Path is graded and gravel, so mobility devices should be fine, but it's all uphill on way back to car, so motor would be good, or a few friends to lend some help pushing.

When visited vegas made a plan to go to visit this nature's beautiful creation at page. Rented a car from vegas and its was almost 280 miles , nearly 4hrs drive taking breaks. Please note that this spot is open from sunrise to sun set so if you are visiting during this time period, they will close the entrance early as sunset is early. So plan accordingly. There is parking fees for cars and around half a mail to walk . You can see around people taking photos in many crazy style and location. It's marvelous , sit enjoy, relax and come back. There are good restaurants and hotels to stay near so don't hurry up and do plan places like upper/lowe Antelope canyon trip before you return

An incredible view that invites you to linger. There are tens of thousands of reasons to be there at different times. My tip: not in rain. Otherwise in the lunchtime certainly very nice, because well lit, in the morning are also very nice in the evening, because by the shadow message great effects are there. We were there in the morning and experienced the sunrise there. That was decidedly nice and since we were the first not to overflow either. We can't say what it looks like at lunch and dinner.
Unfortunately, there are always people who have to take photos outside the collateral (right on the precipice next to the grounds) and risk their lives. Anyone who does not want to see such a thing should avoid it.

The hike to the viewpoint is short and relatively easy, but it can get hot, so make sure to bring water and wear good shoes. Also worth noting that there are no guardrails, so be cautious, especially if you're getting too close to the edge for that perfect photo.

Very windy the day we went and way way way too many people to be able to enjoy it much. Not a highlight of our trip but I’m glad we did it anyway I guess.

Worth the $10 and the walk. With recent health issues we were unsure if we should try it but we did and were very glad that we did. For most people it is an easy walk for a delightful look at a beautiful view of the Colorado River and the canyon.

If you're in Page to visit Antelope Canyon, don't miss a visit to Horsehoe Bend, which is right next door. We were there in the morning when the sun is just rising. Very beautiful nature experience, and early in the morning there weren't very many people there.

We did a mid-morning hike down to Horseshoe Bend. The hike isn't too bad but be aware that it's a steady uphill walk back to the parking lot. Even in the morning it was warm, so bring a water bottle. The views are nice throughout.
It wasn't too crowded at the time we went but I could see that during peak times it might be overcrowded and difficult to get a decent amount of time for the view. The $10.00 parking fee is pretty much in line with the other places we visited.

Impressive bend of the river that makes a curve in the mountain it crosses
A true wonder of water erosion

One of the sites to see in Page. Worth the hike, but be sure to hydrate, especially in summer months. There is plenty of parking and bathrooms available.

We thought we’d be actually walking down into the canyon. Instead, you walk on a mostly flat surface to the site. Stop along a fence line, take picts, & return to car. This is not a “hike”. That’s ok. It is really well done. Easy parking, $10/car, spacious, clean. & stunningly beautiful.

It is an impressive site with a mile + walk and being on the edge of the Colorado rive and carved out rocks. Beware of a crevice that juts out with no warning sign. One young girl about 8 just started running around and stopped about 5 feet short and then ran around the crevice. That was concerning as the parents just talked between themselves and didn't watch her. Five more feet and that would have been a statistic with the huge drop. Worth the walk and only $10 per vehicle to park as the entrance fee.

One of the most beautiful places you will see in your life. A pretty short walk from the parking lot in the heat totally worth it 👌🏻

Horseshoe Bend is well worth the time if you’re in the area. It is beautiful!
It was extremely hot when we went in August 2025. The walk is about 1.5 miles - round trip. Be sure to take some water.

Parking (with dry toilets) for a small fee. You can only discover the "show" after 15 minutes of walking. (For your information, shelters exist during high heat). The emerald green Colorado River contrasts with the red cliffs. It's simply GRANDIOSE! Not to be missed.

I would say that the title says it all... get here (I went from 6pm to sunset) and start contemplating this place, if you can separate yourself from the people, you may truly not be able to believe what it evokes... unique place... ..

One of the most beautiful sites of our romantic roadtrip! You wouldn't think about it because it's just a big rock........... BUT just WAHOUUUUUUUUU!! The view is breathtaking, the silence is filled with serenity, you want to spend your day in spiritual retreat. Grandiose, 1000% recommended
Easy access site and early it's deserted!;)
In a few minutes at sunrise you see all the colors change and become more and more red and ochre. To photograph urgently.

A must for your visit to Page. Worth a visit, although it is very busy (lots of tourists and visitors, especially Asians). The 10 Dollars for parking are very exaggerated (in a very remote location and therefore without alternative options).... Yes, we don't deprive ourselves.

In visiting this we had to pay an admission fee but the views were beautiful. There’s a great paved hiking trail with a couple of covered viewpoints with seating available.
sunset
Beautiful location to see the sunset; unfortunately I must say that there were really so many people that it was not a relaxing place and I could not fully enjoy the moment, shame
