Great experience we took our three grandchildren and they enjoyed. I would recommend as a good family experience when down in Cape May.

We took our 19 month old son who loves animals to meet the alpacas. Scheduling our mingling visit was super easy. Upon arrival we were greeted at the gate. They went over some safety rules and gave us some helpful tips on interacting with the alpacas. We were given plenty of time with the alpacas and supplied with plenty of food. My son absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back!

I booked a private encounter for my family including my one year great-niece and we had such a great time! Jim was amazing making sure everyone was comfortable with the alpacas. They were adorable and well behaved. I highly recommend this for families to make some fun memories together!

Really enjoyed meeting Jim and his beautiful alpacas! Jim gave a personal, comprehensive tour of his alpaca farm. Then we got to feed and pet the animals....so cute! Overall, a very different and educational experience....we're glad we did it. Highly recommend!

Jim carefully explained how to feed and interact with the alpacas. The shop provided many carefully selected items available for purchase..

What an incredible experience. We had our own private experience with at last 10 alpacas, who were friendly, hungry and enjoyed hanging out with us.
Our tour was not rushed and our host clearly cared deeply for her crew, all with fun names. Don't miss this chance to meet alpacas personally!

Tish was so kind, thorough and patient. She taught us so much and made my daughter feel very comfortable. I could visit this place every single week if we lived closer - it was an absolute blast to hang out with the alpacas and to learn so much in the hour we had.

My husband and I stopped in for a private alpaca tour on our way to Cape May, and it was the highlight of the trip! Tish introduced us to the herd and gave us quite an education on alpacas in general. She was super personable and helped to make our visit top notch. The alpacas were so very cute and really love their carrots! It was easy to see why this experience ranks so high!

Jim and his wife were both very welcoming to the farm and were both incredible hosts. They are clearly educated and very passionate about what they do! I got a lot of great information about the animals and their species. If you are in the south Jersey region, I highly recommend. My family and I will be returning for our vacation over summer!

A visit to the Jersey Shore Alpacas farm is a must! Our host, Jim, gave us a little bag of carrot sticks and took us into the pens. The 4-5 males came out first as a separate group, and after they went back into the barn the females came out. The females love to stick their heads into the picture board so you can take photos. Jim let us know which alpacas we could pet and how to pet them. They are very friendly and love people. You must make a reservation for the tour which is about 30 minutes. In the warmer months or during school holidays it is recommended you book 6 weeks out. Definitely stop in their shop as they have many excellent items made from the alpaca yarn.

What a great experience. Our family loved the interactions with the Alpacas, the owners are great . We loved it and would definitely go back and do it again.

My 5 yr old grandson and I did the private tour. What a fun and educational 30 mins. Our guide Shane was great! The alpacas were very personable. I would do this again !

We visited the alpaca farm and had a private tour it was great. Jim gave a very knowledgeable tour he told us the names of the alpacas and gave us a brief history on each. We were given bags of carrot sticks to feed the alpacas and he showed us how to feed them. There was a small gift shop where he showed us a video and different items that his wife made from the alpaca fur that were for sale. The kids will love this.

We had the absolute best time. They all have their own personality and we loved learning about each of them 🥰

Had a great visit with boys and gals. The photo cut outs for the alpacas were great! We've visited a few alpaca farms in the state and this one was by far the most personable and private.

Jim was so knowledgeable, answered all our questions and was super welcoming. He explained everything to expect and how to act and we were totally comfortable and had an excellent experience

Fish was such a wonderful host. We were able to get up close and personal with the boys and girls. Also nice is the lesson learned about these wonderful animals.

This is a nice way to meet an animal most of us would only see in a video. The parents Tish and Jim are friendly and share the history of their herd, pointing out facts about alpaca as your visit unfolds. Your group interacts with the animals by themselves, so you’re not mingling with strangers which I enjoyed. Your “tour” is scheduled for an hour, which will be plenty of time unless you have a large party. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with the beasts, and didn't need the full hour. Enjoy some lunch and spend the rest of the day at the Cape May County Zoo 15 minutes away for an inexpensive and rewarding day with nature.

A small group of friends wanted a quiet weekend away for the holidays, and we came upon Jersey Shore Alpacas online, so we booked an appointment - it absolutely surpassed my expectations. Tish was so friendly and enthusiastic, and openly shared her knowledge and experience about alpacas with us. She made us feel safe and comfortable meeting her alpacas, and we were thrilled to spend intimate time with them, feeding them, taking photos, and just enjoying such a beautiful creature. Tish's passion for this work is reflected in the care and detail spent on providing a warm, intimate experience, and teaching guests. I hope to return next time we visit the shore!

We had such a great time here. Perfect little stop on a cloudy beach day. The teenagers loved being able to feed the alpacas carrots and learning all their different personalities.

This was so much fun! Our guide, Jim, was so nice and answered all our questions about the alpacas. The farm itself is clean and so very serene. We got to spend time with all the alpacas and get to know their sweet personalities. My niece and I loved every minute of our tour and got so many great pictures with the herd. I would highly recommend Jersey Shore alpacas for all ages! There is also a cute gift shop with beautiful clothing, accessories and dolls made from the alpaca's coat...a perfect souvenir of our day!

Such a hidden gem experience! Jim our tour guide was knowledgeable and the alpacas were cute and all had their own personalities! A cool experience with great products for sale to shop at the end of your visit.

My adult daughter & I visited in February 2023. Jim provided us with freshly cut carrot sticks to offer the alpacas. That day, they had been enjoying a really yummy bale of hay before they met us, So some of them were covered in hay like a toddler after eating spaghetti! Adorable! Of course, Annabelle, Michaela and Kara were delighted to feast on the carrots too., as well as the whole herd We learned so much from Jim about how to communicate with hand signals. I am an information buff and Jim kindly filled me in with his extensive knowledge. Booking on line is easy. I plan on return visits to Jersey Shore Alpacas each year. My Tip: break off one inch pieces of carrot sticks and offer to them, then you get to feel their gentle lips and muzzle!

Jim gave my wife and I a great “tour” with the alpacas. He was professional and had a sense of humor. He gave us excellent information about the alpacas. When the tour was over, we met Tish I their store. It was a fantastic experience and we will visit them again.
My wife is an “animal person”. I am not. Jim made me feel very comfortable with the alpacas, so I had a blast with them! I truly look forward to going back again.

This was so much fun! The animals are wonderful to see so closely. It was very interesting to learn about their different personalities and habits, and see how they behave. Excellent tour guide!

We visited this weekend for the private mingling tour of the alpacas. So much fun, we learned a lot about alpacas and Jim was so nice to speak with. Definitely want to do this again next time I get down to Cape May. The alpacas are so cute and smart, each with their own personalities! Oh Maybelline!

Overall, this was a really great experience that I would definitely come back to again and again! Our guide was super friendly, informative, and helpful, and the alpacas were so interesting, each with their own unique personality. Being able to experience them up close (as well as feeding them) was a real treat. To top it off, the gift shop had lots of great, homemade products. This place is a true hidden gem when you're down the shore!

This was a great experience! Tish was amazing and so caring for her alpacas! 10/10 would recommend! Please go and enjoy the animals as much as my girlfriend and I had. We want to do this again and will make this a reoccurring event in our plans every time we visit Cape May. I really felt so joyous and happy around such funny and quirky animals. You will not leave with a frown on your face, just thinking about it is making me smile from ear to ear! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

My husband and I visited with the alpacas on Nov 1st and had a great experience with the animals. Jim was very helpful and instructed us in proper behavior to avoid upsetting the animals. It was very comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend !!!!!

Everything about this experience was wonderful! The couple that runs the farm are friendly, knowledgeable and caring about the animals and each other! It was a great day that I highly recommend to anyone looking for something special to do in the area. Also, definitely purchase something in their gift shop — beautiful hand made & fair trade objects using alpaca wool.

Not quite what we expected, but it was all good. The Alpacas
have come to expect feeding ( carrots are provided), and it was enjoyable and relaxing. The shop had nice products but no one was pushing sales.

The alpaca farm was awesome! My husband and I went and we were the only ones there so it was like we got a private tour of the alpaca farm. The owner was super nice and knowledgeable about alpacas and explained how to feed them carrots so that they wouldn’t spit at you and so that you could pet them. They were quite well trained and overall a truly enjoyable experience! I’d highly recommend it to any animal lover.

My husband and I ended our Cape May vacation with a private tour at Jersey Shore Alpacas. It was such a great way to end our trip to the shore. Trish was so patient and knowledgeable. Feeding and mingling with the alpacas was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. If you are in the area, do not miss visiting :)

The Jersey Shore Alpaca farm experience was exactly as written and then some. Tish shared so much information and stories that added to that overall experience. She was cautious and made sure that I was aware of safety and that I did not behave in a way that might upset the animals. The alpacas loved their carrots and I loved feeding them. The farm store was filled with so many beautiful items. This experience was without doubt a highlight of my trip to Cape May. Highly recommend!!

We have been coming to Cape May at least twice a year for the past several years (mostly for birding activities) so we don't usually check Trip Advisor because we are pretty familiar with the area. What a surprise, then, to happen upon Jersey Shore Alpacas as a highly-rated activity! It certainly lived up to its excellent reviews: our host gave us a truly personalized experience, and we were so happy to meet such well cared-for, individually (and adorably)-named animals in a lovely, spacious environment. IMHO, this is a must-visit!

What a fantastic time we had at New Jersey Alpacas! The private tour was perfect for our family. The alpacas were so gentle and fun to feed, and the guide was amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and great with the kids. It was a truly special and memorable experience. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit-in January and after 8 inches of snowfall 4 days before. Jim made sure we were comfortable with the number and temperament of the alpacas we met. He answered all of our many questions. It was really a unique experience to feed the alpacas carrots. The shop has many beautiful accessories. A must when visiting or in Cape May.

This is a very clean, professional, fun and interactive experience. It is obvious that they truly care about their Alpacas and take pride in sharing them with the public. We went to the website and made an appointment ahead of time. There is no fee but donations are appreciated. We participated in the "fence line feeding tour." This was a lot of fun. They give you a bag of carrots and instruct you on how to feed the Alpacas (some get jealous). The Alpacas are very cute and sweet. They have a small shop on-site that you visit after the tour. It was fun and interesting to learn another the items they sell. We bought beautiful hats and gloves. If you are looking for a unique experience while visiting Cape May that will take about an hour total, don't miss this!

We had an amazing private tour at Jersey Shore Alpacas. Fabulous to met the alpacas up close, learn about them and feed them. Tour ends with a gift shop that had more items than I was expecting. Jim was a wonderful host. This was a highlight of our vacation

The tour was interesting and amazing! The owner and our tour guide, Tish, was outstanding and definitely has a huge love and understanding of alpacas and enjoys sharing it with others. This would be a great experience for anyone!

All 5 adults in our group enjoyed this experience. One person in our group is in a custom wheelchair. The area is grassy, but flat, so we did not have any issues on this tour. Jim and Tish are wonderful and accommodating. We had a lot of fun with the alpacas. We would highly recommend this experience. If you have any special needs, let them know ahead of time as we did. Great value for your money.

Great fun- even our hard to please teen enjoyed meeting the alpaca crew, feeding them carrots, great guide with interesting facts. Jersey Shore Alpacas really treats the Alpacas well - they are well loved 🩷. Bought some great Christmas gifts at their little shop- reasonable prices for the quality of the merch. Will be back next year !

Our group of 6 seniors had a super fun time learning about and feeding carrots to the alpacas. The owner was very knowledgeable and attentive to our comfort level. If you want to feel like a kid again, this is the encounter for you.

A visit to Jersey Shore Alpacas is a must do activity when in Cape May. This was my second visit at the farm and can't wait to bring my granddaughters here next summer. Tish's love for her animals comes through and was excellent guiding us through our mingling tour experience. You can't help but smile the entire time!

We had a wonderful visit with the Jersey Shore Alpacas, during our trip to Cape May. Care & kindness was apparent, as Tish guided us through the experience of meeting the herd-each demonstrating their unique personality. Be sure to check out the gift shop, particularly the items that are made from JSA fleece and other items that are from certified fair-trade artisans. Take the time to visit JSA and enjoy this special place!

This is a prime example of why TripAdvisor is my go to. Jersey Shore Alpacas doesn't advertise like the other attractions in the area but TripAdvisor rightfully ranks this as one of the best things anyone can do in the Cape May area.

This free to go place is a haven for alpacas. The people who work here LOVE their jobs and by the time you leave you will want to take an alpaca home with you (you can't). These lovely creatures are so friendly and they appeared to be treating exceptionally well here.

Before you leave you should support the farm and buy some really high quality alpaca wool items.

Outstanding 5 star experience!

I visited Jersey Shore Alpacas with a friend and my 19 month granddaughter and we had a wonderfully fun time! Booking the experience online was easy and the cost is very good for the value. Tish and Jim were kind to deal with and very clear with information before the visit and during our time there. My granddaughter stayed in her stroller (for convenience and saftety) and had a very meaningful expereince with alpacas who were gentle and eager to treated with carrots. Jim kept a watchful eye at every moment to ensure our safety and the safety of the alpacas. The gift shop is a must visit - the products are well crafted and creative. Especially the magents with beautiful photos of the alpacas. I will definitely visit again and thank Tish and Jim for their gracious hospitality!

What a wonderful experience!

While Jim was a wealth of alpaca-related information and made sure we had a great experience, the real star of the show was the alpacas. They were so excited to see us (and the carrots in our pockets provided by Jim...) and put on a fantastic show. I highly recommend visiting: you get to feed alpacas, pet some of the alpacas, and learn all about alpacas!

They were very conscientious about COVID-19 precautions and had hand washing, wore masks, and outdoor activities which made us feel comfortable visiting.

Took tour on a Saturday, was great fun! My girlfriend wasn’t so sure about interacting with the animals, but as long as u listen, they make sure u have the best experience possible. Alpacas were super cool! Very inquisitive, exceeded my expectations. Shop at the end was a nice surprise. Thanks to Tish for a great experience.

We took a private tour at Jersey Shore Alpacas. It was amazing! It was wonderful to meet the alpacas up close and feed them. We learned so much about them! Jim was a wonderful host. This was a highlight of our trip!

So worth the trip - we were staying less than 10 minutes away and I decided to surprise my family. We'd never been to an Alpaca farm before so my wife and two teenage sons were very surprised - and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Jim was our host - he had the necessary handwashing and sanitizing station prepared. After a short introduction, he provided us bags of carrots (teats for the Alpacas) and walked us to the pen to see the male Alpacas, followed soon after by female Alpaca in their pen. Jim was an awesome host, answered all our questions, and taught us all about Alpaca - they are such friendly animals. This visit was definitely worth the time and money!

Very fun and enjoyable laid back time with alpacas- we did a fall weekend getaway in Cape May and saw the great reviews so added this trip to the itinerary, well worth it! You can tell the owners care for the wellbeing of the animals and our guide Tish took her time explaining how the tour would work. On an unexpectedly cold weekend trip to Cape May our trip to Jersey Shore Alpacas was a highlight. We made a reservation to visit on a Saturday. Our family enjoyed feeding the alpacas their favorite treat, carrots. We were able to take lots of great pictures and learn about these unique animals. We had plenty of time with the animals and personal attention from our guide. We all found something to take home from the store.

This outing has been on our Bucket List for a while and today we did it. What an educational AND fun time we had! Learned lots, and have a greater appreciation of one of God’s creatures. Alpacas can be VERY entertaining. The place is so well kept - not stinky like the zoo! We were supplied with mulberry leaves for one particular alpaca and carrot strips for the others. Everything was explained as to how and why things are done. All questions answered by our great hosts. No stress - just a pleasant outing. Highly recommend and would I go again? Absolutely!!!

Fabulous experience. Great place to visit. A must for Cape May residents and visitors. The owner family is incredibly nice and so caring and knowledgeable about the alpacas. Our family loves this place!

What an awesome experience. Our 2 granddaughters (10 and 5) loved the Alpacas. The grandparents loved the experience. Jim and Trish, the owners are excellent caretakers of the herd. They prepare you for the Alpacas even before you get close to them. The Alpacas all seem to have their own personalities and Jim introduces you to them as you feed carrots to the herd. A visit to the gift shop was a very happy ending.

We loved meeting the Jersey Shore Alpacas! The farm is on a beautiful piece of property and the whole process from booking to the experience was well planned out. Jim was awesome at explaining how the experience would work and tailoring it to our family. Knowing we had our very curious toddler with us, he brought out the calmest alpacas and guided us in how to interact with them.
All of the alpacas were nice, but Annabelle & Oliver were our favorites! A must see if you are in the area, but book in advance as the private tours fill up.

My friend and I had a great time meeting with the alpacas and feeding them carrots. They were adorable. It was a beautiful fall day and I highly recommend mingling with some alpacas to lighten your spirits.

The website is a wealth of information for what to expect and how to schedule. Easy to schedule a tour but you need to plan in advance. Once there, it went exactly as described. Covid precautions in place and the experience was very well organized. The people were so friendly and professional! The store has beautiful items that are worth checking out. This was a highlight of our time in Cape May!

Our family visit to the Jersey Shore Alpaca Farm was a wonderful fun as well as an unexpected learning experience for all, from our 5-yr old to the adults. The owner Jim, was kind & patient with all, and it was great feeding & interacting with the alpacas; they really are amazing creatures.

I have a special place in my heart for Jersey Shore Alpacas. This is our second time here, first being pre-pandemic when my kiddos were younger. Both times, we all had so much fun.

Jim and Tish are good people that really are good at reading people and making sure everyone in the group gets attention, education, and fun out of the experience at their alpaca farm.

The size of their herd has downsized (due to age of their pack), but that didn’t stop us from meeting some very cute and cuddly alpacas. Carrots were provided (plus!) and I loved going into their alpaca farm store and seeing the things you could buy (for all ages btw)

Def recommend a visit here if you’re in the area.

Fantastic Experience, Learned a lot about the Alpacas, Feeding them carrots was the best!!! The trip was well worth it, and a good value for the money. The owners of the Alpacas were extremely patient, full of knowledge, and most willing to share with us. Most of the Jersey Shore Alpacas were born on the premise, and the owners do a great job of balancing a business that is operated from their residence. They have rules in place to keep everyone safe, and also balance that to keep it fun for the visitors. AAA+++

There is a reasonable admission fee; the two of us had a private tour and had plenty of time to meet the alpacas and observe their different personalities. We had a wonderful time here. The tours were very well-organized and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend I got engaged the day we visited and the owners were so accommodating and were even involved in the planning! It was a great day and I can’t wait to go back!

We were so happy to visit with the sweet Alpacas. After our family visited them in August, they recommended we go too. It's very welcoming, very informative, and just a great experience. I loved meeting them up close while feeding them their favorite, carrot sticks. Tish was there during our entire visit to answer all our questions. I like the appointment concept, giving the visitor one on one time to spend with these beautiful creatures without interruptions. Definitely worth it! Make your reservations ahead of time, and don't forget to visit the shop to see all the beautiful items.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend due to a rescheduling of another event, however my sister still brought my son. And boy were we happy that she did. A cool 11 year-old boy appeared to have melted like putty when he came in contact with these sweet, adorable animals and their lovely owners. My sister said he was all smiles the entire time and did not complain once! That did not happen at another excursion. He even chose a keepsake, cutest little Alpacas at the shop. Thank you for providing my son warm memories I am sure he will cherish forever.

It was a pretty cool morning. You go and hang out with some alpacas in a small backyard farm. They are super friendly, you get some pets, take some pictures and feed them some carrots for 30-40 minutes all while learning a little about them. After they finish your carrots, you get a chance to buy some alpaca merch in the store. Good activity at a very fair cost for the family. Thanks!

Very personalized experience. It truly is a private meet & greet. Just my family of 4 with the owner. We learned about the alpacas they have, their history, and about alpacas in general and their relatives. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Excellent experience! Really sweet gift shop with a variety of alpaca wool items and other alpaca related things.

On a recent getaway to Cape May, my husband and I had the wonderful treat of having a private tour at Jersey Shore Alpacas. Jim and Tish have created an amazing experience with their alpacas and it was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Jim was our tour guide that morning. He spent some time with us outside the fenced areas to give us the history of the farm and some of the alpacas. He did an excellent job of answering our questions and sharing his knowledge of alpacas. We first met Sebastian (see photo below) and then we were introduced to the rest of the "boys". Jim provided plenty of tips on how to feed them carrots or to take a break if we needed it. Once we were finished with about half the carrots we met the "girls". The entire tour was very relaxed and we never felt rushed or that we were asking too many quesitons. We got to know the alpacas by name and their invididual personalities. It was so much fun!

My daughter was visitng from North Carolina and I booked the visit online a month or so before the day we went. It was very easy and convenient to book it and pay online.
We had so much fun meeting the alpacas! Jim was awesome! We got to be with the alpacas in their pens and feed them carrot sticks and pet some of them.
We both enjoyed the experience so much! Beautiful place, and gift shop was full of beautiful clothes, scarves, etc.

We love visiting the Alpacas! On our annual family beach week we always include a visit to "check" on the fluffy cuties full of personality. Feeding them carrots is a treat for them and us!

It was a loving learning experience visiting the Jersey shore alpacas. Your host will tell you everything you need to know about each alpaca along with their clever names. You can feed them carrots all day long. By the end of the day you’ll wonder why you ever got a dog. The tour last about one hour and your host will walk you into the different enclosures to introduce you to the alpacas one by one. Highly recommend taking this tour, bring your family bring your friends everybody’s welcome.

We had a private tour today of the alpaca farm. It was so worth the time and money. Tish told us about alpacas and each of their personalities. We got to spend time with them, feeding them and interacting with them! It was amazing to see their different personalities! Then we visited the gift shop which had amazing alpaca fur gifts!

An absolutely amazing experience. Me and my family learned so much about the Alpacas from the owner, Jim, who was very knowledgeable and kind. We were able to feed the Alpacas which my son loved! This was so much fun! We learned a lot about alpacas and about raising alpacas. Alpacas aren't cuddly animals but they were still super cute and fun to watch and be near.

The little shop inside had some really beautiful pieces of clothing made with alpaca wool. This is a sweet family owned business run by really good people. The care they give these cuties is everywhere you look.

We will go back again before we move and we recommend if you're in NJ or ever visit NJ that you stop by. Only sorry it took us this long to visit 🦙❤

What an incredibly fun experience! The owner gave us a brief history of his decision to start this business, instructions on how to feed and pet his alpacas, as well as signals we could use if we were feeling overwhelmed by the eager animals! We had a half an hour to mingle first with “the boys“ and then ”the girls”. Each had distinct personalities and preferences. Lots of fun! And topped off by a pleasant visit to the gift shop where I bought a Beautiful wrap. I highly recommend this experience if you are in the Cape May area

Viewing animals is often just that. Viewing. At Jersey Shore Alpacas though it is a learning experience. After your tour concludes it will be safe to say you will have an appreciation for these animals, an understanding of their heritage and fairly good knowledge of their behavior and needs.

Alapacs are fairly gentle animals and they don't seem to have much fear of humans at the farm-especially when you have a pocket full of their favorite treat- carrots.

We would not hesitate to recommend this tour.

I have been coming to Cape May County on vacation for almost 50 years. This was our first trip to Jersey Shore Alpacas. It was wonderful! The owners are lovely and knowledgeable and the herd was terrific! Would absolutely recommend this - just remember to book early!

This was a great place to visit. Tish was extremely informative and graciously answered all of our Alpaca questions. The private tour really gave us a chance to get up close and feed the alpacas. They loved the carrots! You can go here as a couple and not worry that you don't have kids with you. It's a fun adult experience and not just for kids.

Tish is a phenomenal hostess...from the front door greeting to getting us set up before going into the pens, Tish provides you with everything needed for a great experience. She answers your questions, provides assurance as you move through the experience, doesn’t rush you and above all, knows and loves her herd. These animals are beautiful and with personalities all their own. Tish provides you with options to feed, if needed.
Feeding the animals was the absolute best...an unforgettable experience...and my 7 year old granddaughter went from a little nervous to 100% involved by the end! This was amazing to see!!
Tish has a small gift shop that is the last stop of the tour- so adorable and filled with awesome items. Highly recommend the alpaca ornaments- reasonably priced and a great reminder of the visit.

Our visit to Jersey Shore Alpacas on Friday, October 8 was as novel and enjoyable an experience as one could hope to have in a single hour. Our host (and farm owner) Tish was amiable as well as extremely informative. The detail she offered about the individual nuances of each of the roughly ten alpacas that we met "up close and personal" reflected her total affection for, and commitment to these quirky and highly entertaining animals. We were also impressed by the beauty and workmanship of the alpaca wool-made products that were available for sale in the small but well stocked store on the grounds....no pressure whatsoever to buy anything, and seeing these alpaca-based items were part of this unique experience.

Such a perfect thing to do with our family of three generations. Everyone loved it from the grandparents to the grandkids. Tish was amazing, so patient with all of us, and it was a perfect day.

Tish is a wonderful, gracious host. I strongly recommend the private mingling tours where we were able to meet the herd and pat some cute wooly heads. The alpacas are amazing animals, friendly, gentle, funny and somehow smaller and more adorable than I ever imagined in person! We had a lovely time!

You can tell Tish loves her herd and it felt like being invited into a welcoming tight-knit family. I treasure the experience and highly recommend it!

We knew nothing about alpacas and thought this tour would be a fun way to learn about them.
Trish, the co-owner, explained everything you would ever want to know about these adorable animals and we spent 30 or 40 minutes feeding them. Afterward we went into the shop and was able to buy items made from alpaca wool. Trish even had skeins of wool to purchase for those who like to knit.
The tour is well worth the time and money and would be great for all ages.

Stopped here on our way to Cape May for a few days! What a great stop! We were given precise directions the night before. The farm is spotless and the alpacas were so cute! Not smelly, we were told they are actually very clean animals! Had a great private tour for an hour where we could ask anything that we could think of and learn all about the farm and the alpacas! Each has a distinct personality and it was awesome to interact and feed them carrots! Well worth the stop and the $.

We were so impressed when we had a private audience with over a dozen alpacas! The owner gave us a brief tutorial on how to behave around the males and females, stuffed hundreds of carrot sticks in the aprons were were supplied with, and off we went! The alpacas were gentle and ate right out of our hands. Such a fun experience!

We had such a wonderful time at Jersey Shore Alpacas! The guide was friendly and really knew their stuff, and the alpacas were calm and sweet. The farm felt well cared for, and the whole visit was relaxing and fun.

Our guide Jim was very informative and provided us with a detailed background on the various alpacas as well as a summary of how the business started and how it has grown over the years.

We've come several times over the years and the experience has always been exceptional. It's no wonder they've been the #1 rated thing to do in Cape May for years. The attention to detail and the customer service are without equal. They're very nice people who deserve all the success they've earned. Can't say enough good things about our experience. We look forward to coming back next summer.

This was a really fun experience. Can’t say enough about how nice the owner Jim was and how he made our Alpaca encounter really special for our group which included 3 kids 3 y/o and younger. We felt super comfortable and even some of the little ones who were a bit skittish at first had a great time. There’s lots of fun things to do in Cape May, but I‘d put this at the top of our list. I highly recommend stopping by with the kids if you’re in the the area.

The absolute highlight of our weekend in Cape May! Jim and Tish make you feel so welcome and treat their Alpacas like family. The alpacas themselves are beautifuI (watch out they spit, but Jim is looking out for you) also bought some wonderful souvenirs in the shop that make me smile when I wear them. The alpacas were so cute and fun to see, and our guide Jim made the experience easy breezy. The gift shop was also amazing with a lot of great options including some lovely knitwear made with the alpaca wool. Got a lot of fun pictures and a cute hat. Would definitely recommend!

We were well prepared to meet the Alpacas as our host spent time before we even entered the pens to tell us about their behavior and what to expect. He was also careful to find out what our comfort zone would be with our interactions and handled the meetings accordingly. We met the males first and go to know them by name. Some are friendly and can be petted while others are more into the carrot treats. The animals are beautiful. Then we met the females and learned their histories. A lovely trip that ends in a wonderful gift shop with all kinds of alpaca fabric clothing: hats, scarves, sweaters, and stuffed animals. Had lots of fun!

I went to Jersey Shore Alpacas when my girlfriend and I visited Cape May for my 30th birthday weekend this April. I saw it on tripadvisor and thought it would be a fun activity to do with my girlfriend and our friends. It was so much fun. Tish was a wonderful guide and you can truly see how much her and her husband care about each alpaca. The tour is very personal and Tish made it a great and fun experience for all of us. The alpacas were all so cute and loved all the attention we gave them. If you are in the Cape May area on vacation, this is a must do attraction! Also, the little gift store that Tish has in her house is also great! I even bought an alpaca beanie that I will be sure to wear all the time when it gets cold out! Definitely a great experience and so much fun

My family and I really enjoyed our visit with the alpacas. Jim is a wonderful tour guide and he answered all of our questions. The alpacas are the most adorable fur babies. They really enjoyed their carrots. We loved the gift shop as well. They have beautiful hats, mittens, socks and other goods. If you’re visiting Cape May, you should make an appointment to visit the farm.

We took our friend for her 60th birthday because she loves animals. The alpacas are adorable, friendly and fun to feed. The visit was just long enough to learn about the animals and feed them. They also have a wonderful shop full of items made from the alpaca wool. Jim and his wife are so nice and friendly.

We have a home in Stone Harbor and this was our first visit to see the Alpacas. The 5 adults enjoyed it and the 6 year old Loved it! Tish was a lovely guide and her school teacher roots showed in her kind directions to our 6-year old granddaughter. Book in advance and do try to include this in your shore adventures. Had the immense pleasure of visiting Jersey Shore Alpacas on our anniversary trip. We did the private tour and got to spend time with 8 of the Alpacas total, while also learning about the animal. Highly recommended, and a great value for half an hour of private time with a guide.

My 14-y.o. daughter says alpacas are her favorite animal, but she had never been near one. She also likes to knit. So South Jersey Alpacas was the perfect activity for the first day of our week’s vacation in Cape May. Our host was informative and attentive. We got up close with multiple alpacas and had some choices within the parameters of the planned encounter experience. We learned about the species and the individual animals, like Lightning, Oliver, and Michaela. We got some cute photos. And we picked up some beautiful yarn and a greeting card in the store. A fun and memorable activity.

We booked a private tour and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the adorable alpacas, feeding them carrots and learning more about them. Our guide, Jim, was wonderful…He answered our many questions and kept us cool in the shade. They take great care of their alpacas, and ensure they have ways to cool down when it’s toasty out.

Our group runs from crazy animal lover to animal tolerant, and we were all captivated by these gentle, freakishly cute creatures.

It was also a treat to visit the alpaca store after the tour.

We arrived at Jersey Shore Alpacas and introduced ourselves to Jim, the owner/operator. Here is a man who has devoted most of his adult life to the well-being of alpacas, a camel-like species that love carrots but not petting. Jim is well versed in anything and everything alpaca, and the animals are well fed and well taken care of. For the very reasonable price of twenty five dollars per person, we enjoyed about 45 minutes of interacting with the alpacas while Jim, identifying each of the animals by name and personality, told us everything we could possibly want to know about alpacas, their habits, likes, and dislikes. Not many people get to enjoy something like this, and I highly recommend this for anyone who might be interested. We enjoyed in thoroughly.

We visited Cape May over Thanksgiving and this was a great activity for our family of 6 which included 2 teenagers and grandparents. The owners are so personable and knowledgeable - it was a great way to spend an hour of our day.

We had such a nice time at Jersey Shore Alpacas. Trish was so helpful leading us on our private “mingling tour” with the alpacas. We first visited the males and then later the females separately. My husband and I scheduled a private 30 minute Mingling Tour with the alpacas for 10:30 on a Friday Morning during our recent Cape May vacation. Booking a reservation was easy on their website and owners Jim and Tish were good about communicating by text with directions and reservation reminders. Tish was our "tour guide" and she met us when we arrived and gave us helpful and detailed information about their male and female alpacas before meeting them. We each were given a cloth bag of carrot sticks with instructions on how best to feed them. We mingled first with four males and then with four females and it was wonderful to have the "up close and personal" time with the alpacas in their enclosed pens. All the alpacas had distinct personalities, beautiful faces, were very sweet, and they really enjoyed their carrot treats!

After our Mingling Tour, we went to the farm shop which had a great variety of lovely alpaca products, including clothing, toys, and souvenirs such as photo magnets of the herd, a few of which we purchased. Thank you, Tish and Jim for a special, memorable experience that we'll never forget and we highly recommend!

Tish and Jim were so lovely and informative during this tour. I can tell they really adore their alpacas and I loved knowing their story. We really liked the gentle alpaca named Sebastian so we named our souvenir from the gift shop after him. It was definitely a highlight of our trip and I will be recommending to my friends!

This is one of the best Alpaca spots that we have visited. Tish did a terrific job explaining how the visit would go and it was very nice to get that one on one attention with each Alpaca. They also had a nice little store with Alpaca gear that you can purchase. We will be back!

Going to Jersey Shore Alpacas was the highlight of my trip to Cape May. The owner, Tish spent time informing my friends and me about the Alpaca personality. I surprised my animal-loving husband with a mingling with the alpacas for his birthday the other week. We had such a great time hanging with Tish and the flock. We were provided carrots to feed the alpacas and then after a short instructional session headed into the pen. We first met the male alpacas, all friendly and hungry for carrots. They were curious and very carrot-motivated! Then we met with the female alpacas separately and they were equally as curious. We felt very comfortable with these animals and enjoyed the time with them. Tish told us all about their lives, the history behind the farm and how to take care of these creatures. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and highly recommend for any other animal lovers!

What a wonderful experience! Tish and the alpacas had us coming back for more. We were here in 2023 and so excited to get to visit again this year! Greeted and welcomed with smiles and easy conversation. The tour guide was personable and well versed in her animals. The alpacas were nice and eager to introduce themselves for carrots. I was with a group of 8 and we had a great time we had kids and adults in our group! Jim gave us the tour gave us carrots to feed the Alpacas and all kinds of facts about them. Was very clear on what they did and did not like also their personalities of each of them and who was related/Family. I was shocked as to how tall they are when you are standing next to them. We booked a private tour on the website, Jim texted the night before and gave clear instructions of where they are and where to go. This was a 1/2-hour time slot and it was the perfect amount of time.

Jim and Tish were amazing!! Jim was very informative throughout the guide and Tish was so kind and helped us out through the shop showing us everything handmade. The alpacas all have their own personalities and are so sweet and silly. Definitely 10 out of 10. It’s free and they provide carrots to feed them. Awesome job guys!!

Oh my gosh what a fun experience! The owners were great and informative, making it a safe and fun environment for everyone! I got some alpaca yarn for coworker who loves to knit from the gift shop, I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW CUTE THE ALPACAS WERE! Each one has their own personality and it was adorbs! I posted my favorite one, I think her name was maesy? I can’t remember but look how cute she was!

The value for your money is unbelievable. I have been on many animal encounters and this one was the best for its price. My husband and I must have feed over 10 animals. The owners are passionate about the animals and it is reflected. Tish, one of the owners is a former school teacher so she presents everything beautifully.

We wanted to do something different on our weekend visit to Cape May. We were able to get a Private tour on a Friday afternoon. Even though it was chilly out, the Alpacas were happy to come out and play. We fed them carrots and took lots of pictures and selfies. Our tour guide did an excellent job at preparing us for entering the pens. She explained what we should do to avoid spitting... LOL. We managed to go through the entire tour unscathed! We had lots of interaction with the Alpacas and made some great memories. Dress appropriately for the weather, and wear shoes or sneakers for walking in the pen - it might be wet or dusty,

We stopped in the gift shop afterward. I picked up some virgin Alpaca wool which came with a crochet or knit pattern, a beautiful pair of Alpaca baby booties and a refrigerator magnet.

All in all, well worth the trip! Visit these cuties when you're in the area.

We were able to feed, pet, and hang out with the alpacas for the entire half hour, and we also learned about the animals and their care. I would recommend this excursion to anyone who is visiting the Cape May area.

Enjoyed our visit to Jersey Shore Alpacas. Each alpaca has its own personality and they are very interesting to watch. As we fed them carrots, our guide told us about the personalities of each of the alpacas. After we fed the alpacas, the owner took us into the gift shop and showed us all of the items that were made from alpaca hair.

My partner and I found this place on a whim while looking for Covid safe activities during the Holidays. My partner made the initial arrangements. They were so impressed by how personable Tish (one of the owners) was and how much time she spent answering general questions about the Alpaca farm. Tish continued to answer questions and make arrangements with my partner for a few weeks, we were struggling with date due to our work schedules. My partner indicated that she even went as far as to text the day of our trip to verify our tour and ensure we had the correct address. We arranged to have a personal tour where we got to feed and touch the Alpacas as a surprise for my sister's birthday January 2021.

Cape May is a bit of a journey for us as we live near Sandy Hook. Finding the place was a little difficult as the house looks like any other house on the street. My partner indicated there was a sign for the farm, but I can not honestly recall. Tish was kind enough give us personal directions when we missed it, and talked to us right into her driveway.

She started off by having us wash out hands, talking about what to expect, and answer very random Alpaca questions (and we had a lot of random Alpaca questions!). Like did you know they only have bottom teeth in the front (mind blown!). After we were satisfied that we had quiz her enough, she gave up a small apron and a bunch of carrots, which we had to split up for the different pens we would be visiting. Tish walked us into the pens and literally introduced each Alpaca and talked about their temperament and history. We then fed, and took pictures, and sometimes but rarely got to pet the Alpacas (the can be a little skittish). We were likely in there for about an hour, and luckily it wasn't a cold day. Tish stayed with our party the whole time answering questions, making sure everyone got a turn feeding the various Alpacas, and that no one was overwhelmed by a heard of spitting hungry beasts. Kidding. Honestly the Alpacas were very gentle, and very food motivated. They backed off when you put your hands up, and not one so much as nibbled anything but the carrots in our hand. They were also a little goofy, which was fun to watch.

Afterwards we went to her little shop in the back of her house where we got to see pictures and videos of the youngest Alpaca a few hours after birth and 2 days after birth. The store was small but was packed with a ton of beautiful items made from Alpaca fur (is fur the right word?). I bought Alpaca glittens (both finger-less gloves and mittens with snaps), some little animal figures made out of Alpaca fur. My partner got soap with Alpaca fur cover (like a soap and a washcloth rolled into one), and a very soft tea cup rug, and a little gnome made from the Alpacas on this farm. My sister bought a Alpaca fur sweater, and her boyfriend bought a knitted hat (like the Peruvian ones). There was much more there though: scarves, and cat toys, and yarn, hand warmers, etc. Tish explained that they work with a lot of local entrepreneurs and other organizations that support Alpacas in Peru. The items in the shop were a bit pricey, but we didn't mind spending the money as it supported this awesome farm and the Alpacas. The private tour was $30 for 4 people, and then an extra $5/per person up to 8 people max (which we paid for after our tour). Not to mention they do have free days (though you do not get to go into the pen with the Alpacas which was a real treat).

If your looking for something that is cheap, interesting, fun, supports a local NJ business and Alpacas, AND is Covid safe you should definitely give Jersey Shore Alpaca's a shot. The owners are friendly and welcome you right into a part of their home, the Alpacas are fun, and you leave with a bunch of cool pictures and a unique memory.

This is *the* hidden gem of Cape May. We’ve been visiting for years, but just discovered this magical place. If you’re an animal lover, go…NOW!! Our tour was simply amazing, and we can’t wait to go back again. The owner is so sweet and knowledgeable, you’ll feel right at home immediately. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

I came for the tour here with my aunts and cousin and we really enjoyed it! The tour including the introductory discussion, time with the alpacas and time in the gift shop was about an hour. Tish gave us a very informative tour and helped us take fun pictures. The alpacas were so goofy and cute! I highly recommend booking this tour!

Wonderful experience! Tish was very informative and knowledgeable about her alpacas. She explained everything we needed to know to have a really fun visit. She was with us every step of the way to answer questions and to make sure we got the most out of our experience. We have great pictures to remember our "up close and personal" visit with these beautiful animals. The retail store had great items too. We thoroughly enjoyed our tie at Jersey Shore Alpacas.

We received our welcome text the night before suggesting a light stroller or baby carrier for our 1 year old for a hands free hands on experience. Oh man was Jim right!! I did neither because my daughter is a hip hugger ughh well she cried the entire time. We pull up thanks to the very specific directions I didn’t get lost. Jim was waiting outside on the porch to direct me where to park. Love that! He didn’t once lose his cool or his mind with my crying daughter. I thought for sure he’d ask us to leave, he just kept checking on us. He made sure my son was ok (leg brace after surgery) and was full of information. Oliver checked on my daughter plenty of times, and we got to see roughly 15 alpacas. Maybe 16 because one came jumping around in the pen next to the one we were in. Maybeline is a spitfire (I could have the names mixed up) again the 1 year old wouldn’t stop crying. But Jim and his wife have been blessing this county for 9 years with alpacas, I’m sad this is the first time there but it won’t be my last. They don’t have any spring chickens of course but I will be sure to follow them on social media now and support their beautiful babies!! 9-19 years of age. Again I could be wrong but they were all so beautiful and nice! I couldn’t believe it. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely property and babies with us, and thank you for being so patient with me and the crying one.

Love this place. Jim, oone if owners was very knowledgeable. And a gracious host. The Alpacas were adorable. Their eyes are incredible. Definitely a place to visit.

The family loved this. The kids and my husband were skeptical beforehand, but everyone was pleasantly surprised afterwards. We did a private tour on the weekend and you get to feed the alpacas. It’s all free. They have a donation box. The whole thing takes 30 minutes tops; we asked a lot of questions, so I could see it only taking 15 minutes if you’re not a curious crowd. They have a little shop filled with alpaca made items (clothing, blankets, trinkets, etc.) that you can go in after the tour.

What a fun activity to meet, learn and feed the alpacas! Great for all ages. Perfect day activity when visiting the Cape May area!

Everything was amazing. All of the Alpacas were super friendly. Honestly they should charge more for the admission fee. The length of the visit was perfect! We loved all of the Alpacas and we miss them already.

The alpaca mingling was such fun. We enjoyed every minute. The farm was clean and easy directions were given. Wish was an amazing host. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. We visited Jersey Shore Alpaca this weekend for our private mingling tour. I can’t say enough about our experience. Tish was so informative and knowledgeable about Alpacas and talked us through each step in meeting them, what to expect when feeding them and their individual personalities. Our family had a wonderful experience today at Jersey Shore Alpacas. The owners were so knowledgeable and really took the time to explain to our children how to best feed and pet the Alpacas. A few of our children were hesitant at first, but Tish and Jim’s kind approach left them feeling brave and sadly waving goodbye to their new Alpaca friends at the end of our tour. Jersey Shore Alpacas was an incredible experience! Tish was our tour guide and she was awesome. She's so knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly loved the animals. She knew how to answer all of questions, from how alpacas socialize to how to get the best selfie angle with one of them! The alpacas themselves were also wonderful, they know the routine and you get a great experience thanks to their familiarity with the process (and Tish's expert wrangling of course.) We have and will continue to recommend this place to family and friends as a great thing to do while down the shore.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our private tour at Jersey Shore Alpacas on Monday. The animals were friendly and healthy, and it was a lot of fun to feed them loads of carrots! The alpacas were super cute. They loved the carrots that Jim provided us. They were more interested in the carrots than us, as you might expect. Jim was a great host - informative and forthright. He was good about us all being comfortable and safe, and he accommodated our differing levels of comfort with the animals. He also was able to get us in before the rains came that day. Their little store has some really nice alpaca-fleece products.

Came down to Cape May to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, and the highlight of the trip was the visit with the Alpacas! Chris our guide was very informative and really has a genuine appreciation for the Alpacas and the quests visiting them. Chris and Tish helped us to have the best interaction with the many different personalities and both sexes of the Alpacas,lol. If you are a fan of Alpacas or you have a love of interesting animals, do not miss this little gem of an experience ! Don't forget to book this in advance as we had no idea Alpacas were so popular , and the visit here requires a reservation.

My mom and I came here today to see the alpacas and it was wonderful! I couldn't recommend enough! This is definitely something you have to come do. The animals were amazing and the lovely couple who runs the farm were even better.

You must be on time. We were running late, knew we would be late, called ahead and they still were not able to accommodate us for any other time that day. I explained I was late due to unforeseen event, then even later due to not being able to find the farm (you must use the private address link they send the night before), explained that it was my daughters birthday and we spent the weekend on the shore, just to see these alpacas on Monday prior to returning home to New York. Or at least I tried to explain but the male owner of the farm was not interested in listening or trying to help us out in any way, or refer us to another alpaca farm nearby. Due to not being on time, our private tour was canceled with no other option for that day. I even asked if I could sit in the parking lot and wait for an opportunity and was told no. I even asked if we could just get out and see the llamas just for a few minutes given it was my daughter‘s birthday and we were traveling all the way here just for this. I understood that we cannot have the whole time or the tour, but they wouldn’t even let us get out of the car to see the animals from behind the fence for 5 minutes. My girls, one of which was her 12th birthday, looked from afar through the car window with tears in their eyes. They understood it was out of our hands since they heard the unprofessional demeanor in the gentleman’s voice and caved to defeat. I’m not even mentioning the fully nonrefundable cost because that I own, I knew was nonrefundable going in, but it’s worth mentioning here because in my opinion it would’ve been reasonable, or just the human thing to do, to allow at least my two girls to get out of the car for even five minutes to see the alpacas. I hope all your parents and moms out there take this into consideration when booking these types of things, consider the type of people that you were supporting by purchasing this tour- if they are unkind to humans how kind are they to their pets? I hope the donation we made for tours goes directly to caring for the alpacas. The right thing to do was let the kids at least take a peak, and the right thing to do always is to speak with kindness to someone, not at them. There is another quite beautiful farm called Anointed Acres with very lovely people right in the same area. I would recommend checking out that option as well if looking to visit alpacas.

For anyone who appreciates animals, this is a rare treat. Children are welcome and can have a pleasant, non-frightening experience with these gentle creatures. Reservations far ahead during the busy summer season are needed.

We had a great visit with the Jersey Shore alpacas, thanks to Jim. He patiently answered all of our questions and provided treats for us to feed the animals. In less than an hour, we enjoyed both the animals and the "no pressure" gift shop. When in the shop, also see the beautiful furniture hand-crafted by one owner and the handknit items made by the other owner

Going to Jersey Shore Alpacas is a must for anyone of any age visiting the Cape May area. We visited last year and could not wait to go back. Tisha's love for the alpacas came through as she guided us through the mingling tour. She provides helpful information and tid bits about each of the girls and boys as we fed them the provided carrots. We can't wait to return in June with our granddaughters!

My husband surprised me for our anniversary with a visit to Jersey Shore Alpacas…. What a great time we had! It was such a unique and fun experience spending time with the alpacas and getting to feed them. They were very gentle and friendly! Tisha was a great guide explaining everything about these beautiful animals. You can see they are very much loved and well cared for. I plan on going back with my sister and friends when they come to visit. Oh and they have a wonderful gift shop too… don’t miss that! I fully recommend a visit to see the alpacas! We had lunch afterwards at a local pub and it was a great way to spend the afternoon and a very memorable anniversary!

My friend and I included this excursion as part of our girls trip. The farm was clean, easy to navigate, and our guide was informative and kind. The animals were well behaved and clean. They look well cared for and they were fun to be around.

Jim was a great host for our visit to the farm. He and his wife Tish are so passionate about their animals and shared so much interesting information. They also provide a bag of carrots so you can feed and pet the Alpacas as you are right in there pen with them and there a lots of them. Jim showed us little tricks to be sure we didn't get spit on :). The shop has beautiful alpaca products. It was a fun experience and we would recommend visiting.

My family, which includes three teenagers, visited in March 2023 during our Spring Break trip to NJ. We had a great time here meeting and feeding the alpacas. Jim was a great host, shared lots of alpaca information, and answered all of our questions. You could tell he cared for the alpacas and provided them with a great home.

We came with families from The Church of Philadelphia from 17th & Snyder Avenue in Philadelphia, Pa. We want to thank both Jim & Tish for their compassion and details for Alpaca's. Absolutely loved our experience at the Jersey Shore Alpaca Farm. We booked a Private Mingling tour which last about an hour for two people. We were greeted by Tish who was such a gem. She briefed us what to expect and the best ways to feed and handle being around the Alpacas. We spent most of the time meeting and feeding all the alpacas with Tish's guidance. Definitely need to call out that the farm area was unexpectantly clean with no smells!

The meet and greet ended in the gift shop where there are plenty of alpaca wool items to choose from. We would 100% recommend this experience for anyone curious to meet some cute alpaca friends.

Just the other day we were able to finally go meet the Alpacas! This has been on my bucket list for many years and finally remembered to schedule in advance an appointment. Myself, my husband and (almost) 15 month old had a lovely time meeting and feeding the Alpacas. Tish was extremely kind and knowledgeable and made the experience beyond perfect. It was the perfect amount of time especially with a little one. The gift shop at the end was a perfect way to end. I wish I could have bought everything. I hope to come back again in the future. I took my friend here for her 80th birthday and we had a fantastic time. Tish is the best tour guide - she knows every animal and their various personalities and quirks. The alpacas are adorable, friendly ( as long as you have carrots), and funny to watch. We just had the best time. I highly recommend a visit to this farm.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We visited the farm out of curiosity and were NOT disappointed! Tish was super sweet and knowledgeable about the alpacas. Jim’s personal tour of every alpaca was wonderful! The way he introduced the boys first and then the fiesty girls worked really well so that not one of them got all of the carrots! It was so interesting to learn about them. This is a must-do if you are an animal lover! Jim also takes great pics with you and the alpacas.

This was a surprise trip for my son who loves alpacas! I honestly didn’t expect much but it turned out to be a blast! Sooo much fun!! We learned so much about the alpacas and even got to take cool selfies while we fed them! I would love to go back again, without the kids!! This was our first time visiting the farm. Our guide was very informative, the alpacas were friendly, we got some great photos, and learned about the animals and history of the farm. We liked the personal aspect of the tour. Jim was able to choose which animals would be best suited to "meet" our family. Also, the gift shop at the end had some interesting souvenirs to purchase. We are considering a return visit. Important to book in advance.

Took the private tour with my wife and 2 daughters (8 & 6) last Thursday. It was an amazing experience and hands down the highlight of our trip. Tish was excellent at explaining everything to my daughters and always made sure they felt safe and comfortable with the animals. The private tour was well organized and the kids had plenty of time to ask questions and feed the Alpacas. I would highly recommend.

My wife has always wanted to see an Alpaca in person. She thinks they are cute, in a goofy sort of way. Since we were staying in Cape May this weekend, a visit to Jersey Shore Alpacas was a must. The owners do a great job of following all of the Covid protocols and we felt very comfortable during the tour. Jim, one of the owners & our tour guide for the afternoon, gave us a ton of information about the animals. The tour lasted about 45 minutes. Feeding them was a blast. If you are worried about them spitting, don't...lol. They are only spitting to show their annoyance at one of the other Alpacas for getting too close to them. Stay alert. If you see them starting to crowd toward the fence to get the treat in your hand, that is when they may spit. Try to keep them separated as best you can. Put a carrot in each of your hands and hold them apart so you can feed two at a time. There was no admission charge for the tour. There is a donation box for voluntary contributions by the Alpacas and inside the gift shop. As you can imagine running a farm for 15 or 16 animals is expensive, so make sure you leave a contribution. This is a popular attraction, so book early. We tried a week ahead of time, but all the slots were filled. My wife checked their website about a day before we arrived in Cape May just in case there was a cancellation and we got lucky. Have a great time, we did!

Jim and Tish are very caring of their alpacas. Jim provided a 30 minute tour to my family (kids aged 4 and 7) as part of the public tour and provided many interesting and fun facts about the alpacas. They provided carrots for everyone to feed the animals and helped assist to spread out the animals. It was a lot of fun to meet and learn about these animals and all of us had a great time. Jim was very friendly and made sure my girls were able to meet all of his alpacas.

They have a small store selling clothing and small items from alpaca wool. Very soft and we picked up nice souvenirs for the family.

This was a great trip to a local NJ farm. Highly recommend!

I did this tour solo and really enjoyed it! Tish, the owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable about her alpacas. We spent time feeding them carrots and Tish told me all about each alpaca and their name and story. For the price, it is so worth the hour!

Tish was such a great host. The alpaca experience was so much fun. We had ages from 12 to 81 and each of them said it was a 10 out of 10! We did the group experience where we were in the areas with the alpacas.

What a wonderful place!!! My daughter (7 yrs old) and I had a private experience with the beautiful alpacas facilitated by the owner, Jim. I loved hearing the 20 years of history, getting such an up close and personal understanding of these sweet animals. Everything about the experience was fantastic. Jim and his wife make sure that the animals are well cared for and they take every step to ensure that there’s a great experience with education and fun. The store they have set up is absolutely adorable and you are able to see some video footage of the alpacas when they were just born! It’s a magical place. Highly recommend!! We loved it!!

While reading on Trip Advisor looking for fun things to do near Cape May, N.J. So we made a reservation and took the scenic drive to Jersey Shore Alpachas. We are so happy we did, definitely worth the trip. Jim and Trish, the hosts, made it a special trip. The Alpachas all have names and interesting personalities. They gave us each a bag of fresh cut carrots to feed our new friends. Some of the alpacas even liked to be pet while you feed them.
We asked plenty of questions only to see how much they love their animals. We picked up a few magnets at the gift shop. We have them proudly hanging on the fridge today. Please give this attraction a visit for a tranquil outdoor activity.

Fish was great! She made sure we knew how to approach the alpacas & what to do to prevent spitting. She allowed us a lot of time to feed the alpacas & get in a few pets. The store is so cute & very reasonably priced. I may have bought a whole new winter set. If we are ever back in Cape May, we will be returning here!

This was so much fun! Highly recommended this experience. We had 30 minutes to pet, feed carrots, and learn more about alpacas. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

This is one of the best activities in Cape May! We did a private mingling tour, and got to be right in the pen with the alpacas. Jim, one of the owners, was right there directing us on what to do and what not to do, and answering all of our questions. It truly was so much fun and a great experience! To me, this is a must-do activity if you're headed that way. I'd do it again in a minute!

Our family had an awesome time with the alpacas. The staff was great! The alpacas were so adorable and friendly. Our 8 year old grandson really enjoyed feeding the alpacas. Definitely recommend this for everyone no matter your age.

Had an amazing free and private feeding line tour for two this morning with Jim. You get right up close with the alpacas and can even pet them, and are also given carrots. They seem very happy.

My family of 4 (2 adult children) had a wonderful visit with the alpacas. Tish, the owner was really friendly and knowledgeable about her family of alpacas. You know she loves them by listening to the way she describes each one's personality. They are so cute and we enjoyed feeding them the carrots Tish provided for us.
The private visit was an unbelievable value for the fun we had! We totally recommend this experience and don't forget to do some shopping in their gift shop. The alpaca items are so soft!

This is the 2nd year in a row we visited during our beach vacation. The alpacas are fun to feed and pet. Jim and Tish were very welcoming and accommodating to one of our party who is in a wheelchair and has additional special needs. The outside grounds to see the alpacas are grassy/hard dirt so it was easy to push them to see the Alpacas. If someone in your party needs special assistance, please call the location ahead of time before making reservations to ensure your needs can be met. We plan to go again next year.

Visited with our 3 grown children. We all loved learning about the alpacas, being inside the fence with them and getting to feed them was so fun.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! What a wonderful surprise here in Cape May! The alpaca are adorable…you get carrots to feed them during your visit. Tish and her husband own the farm…Tish gives the tours and is so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely a highlight of my trip!

What an awesome experience! Tish enthusiastically welcomed our group of six adults, talking about the alpacas and instructing us on how to feed the alpacas their provided treats (raw carrots). After we entered one of the pens, Tish brought one of the alpacas into the pens and then five more. After interacting with these six, we moved to another pen and met another six alpacas. The alpacas clearly enjoyed their treats and interacting with us. While it was a chilly, overcast day, it was a fabulous adventure. There is also a small gift shop with items made from alpaca wool. We had a great time! Thank you Tish!

Interesting private 30 minute mingling tour with the alpacas. Jim showed us the males and females separately and let us feed them carrots and pet them. He was knowledgeable in telling us about the alpacas and answered all of our questions. Afterwards we were able to see the giftshop which has a video playing that shows some of the alpacas as babies and what they look like after being sheared. The yearly shearing process will be done next week so right now the alpaca herd is very fleecy which is exactly what we wanted to see.

They are extremely cute animals and the owners are very well-informed. They gave us a very nice tour, and we enjoyed feeding the alpacas! Would recommend if by cape may.

My husband and I took a private tour while we were on vacation in Wildwood. I loved the experience! Tish was so informative, and made sure she understood our comfort level before letting the alpacas in the pen with us. She counted to ten, opened the gate and the "boys" came galloping over to greet us (and eat carrots of course).
Tish taught us how to signal "no more" when we were out of carrots and we got to take lots of photos.

Really great experience! If you want to take the private tour, you have to book in advance. I booked in June for a mid September tour.

Great time with the herd. Jim was great at speaking about the alpacas. They also have a little shop in which you can purchase alpaca scarves, mittens or sweaters. A must do if you're in Cape May.

We loved being this up close and personal with alpacas. Tish gave us good guidance on how to interact with the alpacas and answered all of our questions about the animals. We learned a lot about alpacas in general and the personalities of the ones we met. Inside the store is a great video not to be missed about one of the alpacas born there when they were just a day old.

What an amazing afternoon. I had a large group and at I had some that canceled. However, Tish was accommodating and a great guide. A must see if you are in the area!

I was able to snag one of the Saturday public tours and it turned out that I was the only one for my time slots. The guide provided me with a free bag of carrots and introduced me to the female alpacas first, and later the males. She was very informative and the alpacas were adorable. She was also able to guide me on the best way to take selfies with them! (She also warned me about the possibility of spitting). The tour was a half hour long and my only disappointment was that we were not actually in the pen with them but we could pet them. After the tour, I browsed the store and talked to Tish, the owner who told me more about the alpacas too. Definitely a fun activity and next time, I would like to take the private tour.

Tish and Jim are running a great and friendly operation! It was an excellent experience; very informative, unique, and quite exclusive. High quality and warm service while introducing us to the cute and one-of-a-kind alpaca characters. Thank you very much! (By the way, we got away without getting spat on ;-D )

What a wonderful time we had interacting with these beautiful animals. Jim was a wonderful guide - doing all he could to be sure we had a great experience. We had a private tour today and it was well worth the visit. If you are on the fence about a visit, just go for it! You won't be sorry.

Our trip on Saturday to Jersey Shore Alpacas was a delight, beginning to end, for us parents and our daughter. My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Jersey Alpaca Farm. It was great to have the ability to interact with these wonderful animals. We learned a great deal and have already shared that knowledge with friends and neighbors. The owners of the farm take wonderful care of these beautiful animals. Everyone going to Cape May should take advantage of the opportunity to visit the farm and interact with these wonderful animals.

Went with the entire family to visit he alpacas and we had a great time. Our guide Tish was great. She had so many facts and fun anecdotes to share with us about her alpacas. My boyfriend and I traveled all the way up from Maryland to visit. We had such a blast learning about alpacas, feeding them carrots, taking photos, laughing, and observing! Tish made our experience extra special! We were amazed by all of the goodies in the gift shop. We were a little early to our appointment and Tish recommended we go just down the street to Two Black Dogs where we arguably ate one of the best meals we've had in our ~30 years of life. Tish was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she LOVES her alpacas. If you want to have a great time, learn something new, support a small business, or just go meet another responsible pet owner- this is the place for you!

This was an incredible experience! Tish was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her Alpacas, and her husband even knew all of their birthday's. The set up and process that was followed was very well thought out and made it an easy to enjoy time. The Alpacas themselves were so friendly and it was so fun to get to know each of their personalities. It was a perfect day and very enjoyable. We can't wait to go back again to see them!

We visited the farm yesterday with our two girls, ages 7 and 4 and the alpacas were the absolute cutest. Jim and his wife maintain a lovely environment, and truly care about their animals. It’s such a unique experience to be able to just spend time with the animals, feed, pet and learn about th. Reservations book eerily, so be sure to book yours a few weeks out!

This was such a fantastic experience! We took 5 of our grandchildren (ages 4-9!) this week and they can’t stop talking about it. Tish has a beautiful way with the children. They learned so much! Great memories ❤️ And fun pictures! I’d highly recommend!!

My wife and I took our 18 month old daughter here and we had a fantastic time! She loved feeding the Alpacas carrots and getting to pet them. They are adorable and very friendly. We enjoyed learning about the Alpacas and spending time with them. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!

What a fun day! I took my husband, mother-in-law and two 20 year-old sons and we had a blast meeting all of the alpaca. Tish was very sweet and informative. We wanted to purchase everything in the shop!! It was an experience we will never forget.

What a fantastic place!! Booked a private feeding tour ( available during the week only, on Saturdays it's feeding through the fence only). They had about 16 alpacas and they were all so beautiful and well behaved. The place was immaculate and you can tell the owners love what they do and love their animals! Highly recommended, for adults and kids alike!! Book in advance though and definitely try for during the week when the private feeding tours are available. Inexpensive and a great time!!

Such a fun outing. Tish did an awesome job making us all comfortable and allowing us plenty of time to feed the alpacas. We went as our last stop on a girls’ trip and it was the best part of our trip. What a gem!!

We visited Jersey Shore Alpacas for a post holiday season "recharge". It was a total delight. Tish was an excellent and informative host. It was so much fun for a couple of old friends to learn more about these sweet animals. We followed instructions and didn't even get spit on! We booked a private tour of the alpaca farm and it was truly a highlight of our trip to the Jersey Shore. We enjoyed mingling and feeding all of the alpacas. There is a small shop onsite to buy various things alpaca related.

A last-minute decision turned into the best day of our weekend getaway! This up close and personal encounter gives you a greater appreciation for alpacas, and all the hard work Tish and her husband put into these awesome animals. We will definitely tell our family and friends about this! We’ll be back!

Tish was absolutely wonderful! I surprised my fiancé with a private tour, where Tish introduced us to every Alpaca. She was knowledgeable and had a real heart for all of these big-eyes animals. It was wonderful to hear all the stories she had to tell about each and every one of them. We had a grand old time feeding the Alpacas carrots and really seeing their personalities shine through.

I have since told all of my friends to come (children approved).

This is a small family run business by a couple out of their backyard. They have a pen and many alpacas in the backyard that are adorable! You'll get to feed and pet the adorable animals and learn all about alpacas. The owners are so very nice and even have hand made certain items from the alpaca fur! All of this is free too! Such a unique experience and one you won't want to miss. Also, please drop a few dollars into their donations jar in the gift shop. This is obviously not free and they run on donations and the gift shop
