Our wine tasting at Judd’s Hill was delightful. Michael couldn’t be more accommodating and informative.

The wines, the info; we had the best time with CJ! She is a wealth of information and we will be heading back to Judd’s Hill to take her pairing class for sure!

We signed up for the wine blending and had a great time creating our own blend. We were able to sample some of theres. The staff was awesome. I would definitely recommend it!

What an experience! Our host, Angie, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and helped us discover wines that fit our taste. We never felt rushed, and liked the quietness and intimacy of their setting. This was a GREAT find!

My husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a trip to Napa. When we searched for boutique wineries, we found Judd's Hill and quickly found their wine making experience. I reserved online, set it up, played a little phone tag, and everything was perfect upon arrival.
My husband and I can't recommend this enough, as it takes you out of the typical wine tasting experience, and lets you try your hand at your own blend.
Thanks, Judd's Hill!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a warm December Saturday afternoon on Judd's Patio over looking a picturesque section of California wine country. After driving over the quaint bridge off the Silverado Trail we all felt that we had left the busy road and our busier lives behind while we sat in the sun and sampled their fine selection of red wines. The setting was peaceful and bucolic, the service was gracious and unhurried, and the wine was pleasurable at the beginning and glorious by the end.

The wines are delicious and the staff knowledgeable. You'll feel like you are special at this winery. Make sure to include it among the many lovely places in Napa.

Excellent everything! Loved the wine and experience! Such a great time with our host - wish we could have been there one more day for her pairing class.

Friendly, familial atmosphere and great wine. I am a Napa local and seek family owned, curated wine tastings. Simple and lovely outdoor seating with pretty vineyard and pond views. Judd’s Hill is worth the trip, especially during COVID.

My sister-in-law decided to do the aromatic wine blending class on our last day in the Napa Valley and it was amazing! Not only did we learn so much about wine, we had a blast tasting & blending what would eventually be our signature wine to take home, age, and enjoy in the future! CJ was such a delight. She was sweet, knowledgeable, funny, and so welcoming to us!

we had an excellent experience here. We brought our family from Los Angeles and they had small children. We also had our well behaved dog with us. We had wonderful service on the patio. thanks you Judd's Hill!

Fantastic visit to a great family run vineyard. We went there not knowing very much about different wines and left feeling educated as well as a little tipsy. The lady was fantastic at educating us on the subject of tanning and different types of grapes by a way that everybody would understand, I now see an apple in a different light now.. lol. I would definitely recommend starting at this vineyard as the setting is beautiful and the prices aren’t to bad.

Great ambiance, host and atmosphere. Relaxed and informative. We tried two flights and bought a couple of bottles to continue to enjoy at home.

Judd's Hill Winery is the best wine experience Nappa Valley has to offer. Highly recommend you participate in the wine maritage and bottle your own wine. Cheers!

As a small vineyard owner myself I sought out Judds Hill as a special destination when planning our trip from Australia. Its a family owned operation and we were met by Michael who was a convivial conversationalist and a fountain of knowledge. No prior special knowledge needed and we spent a packed three plus hours learning about the terroir, history and winemaking and blending our own bottles from a range of four quality base wines – so hard to go wrong! Michael is an excellent tutor and I recommend this experience for those who want to do more than just be a spectator with a tasting glass. That said we also got to taste a variety of house styles sitting on the terrace enjoying the glorious scenery. Highly recommended!

It was my first winery experience and it was GREAT! We set outside the house and had 5 glasses of different wine, 4 of then was great and 1 was just ok. I preferred their Sauvignon Blanc most of all and bought 2 bottles of it.

Had a blast, learned a lot, drank great wines. Small, but quaint. Be careful, one lane bridge entering property.

My wife, mom and I had a great visit yesterday! From the beauty of the setting, the friendliness of the staff (thank you, Charlie & C.J.), and the deliciousness and quality of the wine, you really should visit Judd’s Hill to have a truly great wine experience.
You can also go there for themed dinners, unique experiences, and classes teaching you how to blend your own wine and the best way to pair food & wine.
We’ve been members for a few years now and we love to take friends and family there to experience the wine and the service. Thank you Judd’s Hill for always treating us well!

CJ was highly knowledgeable about the winery, how the wine is made, and educating us about how to properly taste wines. It felt like a private experience outside with views of the vineyard. It was the highlight of our day.

My wife and teenage son spent a few hours here. It was quite amazing. We very much enjoyed the tasting and we decided to join their Quarterly Club. Our Host was very gracious and informative.

A great little winery, would definitely go back again. The setting was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and informative. The wine was quite nice and we left we left with several bottles in tow.

Judd’s was recommended by a good friend. I had never been to Napa before, but my husband and his family are locals. We had a fabulous time and will be sure to come back again!

It was a lovely visit. Wines were wonderful and we had an opportunity to actually walk into the vineyard and take some pictures of the fruit laden vines. The sun was warm, the wine was heavenly, and the entire setting and time there delightful.

Lovely tasting experience on the patio. Small winery with great service. Delicious Cab's...Judd's Hill is a new favorite!

Great one on one attention and very down to earth. We enjoyed the atmosphere and stories of what it is like to work for a small winery.

Really enjoyed our time here staff were welcoming and friendly we came late on in the day with no reservation but that was not an issue they gave us a tour and we really enjoyed there wine and tastings we bought a few bottles and highly recommend you go very relaxing atmosphere and great wine what more could you want.

Really loved the visit, making wine, our host and the wine!! What a treat to taste, blend, bottle, cork, and label our wine. It was one of the best times we have had on multiple trips to Napa over 20 years. Recommend this to add to any trip!

It was a girls afternoon wine tasting. Beautiful weather and beautiful location. We sat outside and had an amazing wine tasting. Would definitely recommend this if your in the Napa Valley

Great option for a wine experience in Napa Valley.
Very relaxing and the host gave us a lot of information about the winery and the wines tasted.

Small, simple sophisticated vineyard.
Wines are a bit pricey, but oh well, that's Napa
Would have been nice to have some cheese or food with the wine as an option
Host was very enthusiastic

Judd's Hill is a lovely little winery and tasting room in Napa. We were lucky to find it, as it was one of few with availability during Covid. What a nice surprise to find super nice knowledgeable people entertaining and educating us while we tasted very good wine. I was so impressed that I joined the wine club - my first after years of living in the Bay Area. I look forward to visiting many more times!

I urge you to steer clear of this place. I signed up for custom crush, brought them beautiful syrah grapes that I had made wonderful wine with for several years, and they ruined it. Not only did they ruin it, they wouldn't tell me what they even did to get it to the state it ended up in, would not provide winemaking notes, nothing. Nor will they refund my money. I lost two years on my startup wine label. They don't care whatsoever. There are so many great places to go, skip this place.

We had a weekend of wine tasting in Napa and were very well taken care of at Judd's Hill! When in Napa, be sure to visit this great winery.

This was an adorable winery! The tasting was enjoyable and our host was great! Definitely had a nice feel and did not feel like an “assembly line” tasting like at some of the larger wineries. We joined the wine club because the wine was consistently good!

We had a great time at the tasting! CJ our wine sommelier was a true educator and very friendly. The wine was delightful. The 2 things could have made this wine tasting a perfect score would be to have grape juice for minors and an option to taste with a cheese plate. We would be happy to pay for these options. - Looking forward to many wonderful bottles from Judd Hill!

This winery is beautiful, with gorgeous vistas of the vines. Staff were friendly and very chill- and so I nformative. The experience was accessible and the wine was excellent.

We had so much at the food and wine pairing class. I learned a lot about basic wine-making practices and how to pair certain flavors with certain wines to maximize your enjoyment of those wines. Great property, great staff, and great wines.

Went for a tasting on Oct 25th. Beautiful setting, knowledgeable & fun host and Judd came by and took our pic in the vineyard. Loved all wines, especially Meritage 11’ & Kairos Cab Sauv

A very small winery with big personality. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wine is fantastic. We'll be back soon.

We went for my 30th Birthday to blend wine and make our own bottles and I could not be happier with the experience! We not only tasted, but we blended our own mix!!, took it from the casks ourselves, bottled, corked, and labeled our own bottle. HOW COOL! And such a memorable experience that it easily became a highlight of our Napa trip. Even my friends with me were impressed on how much more involved it was that we initially thought it would be. Even though we had no idea what we were doing, it was such much fun and everyone was SO NICE! DO THIS! I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone was jealous of our experience afterwards.

We attended the wine/food pairing session with CJ. Her wit, knowledge and ability to easily convey complex ideas made it one of the best winery visits we have enjoyed. Add the fact that the product at Judd's Hill is delicious made it a perfect anchor to our visit to Napa. Looking forward to bringing the family up to enjoy this beautiful location and family owned winery. After this visit we will certainly enjoy and appreciate wine more than before.

I have been traveling to Napa with my wife for years and can't believe we missed this diamond in the rough! What a great find, a destination we will be sure to share with our friends and our families and visit many more times in the future! The property was beautiful, the service and wine tasting was off the charts and the ambiance was charming! Thank you Judd and the rest of the Judd's Hill team!!

We took a wine blending class through Judd’s Hill - it was fantastic- they were knowledgeable, patient and funny.
I would do it again.

I had no idea what wine blending was before we took this tour. We went as a family and had a blast. I now know a lot more about wine making than I did before the session. The only negative comment is the prices are a little high, but the wine is good.

I went with friends from Hawaii and we ALL had an AMAZING time. I ended up buying 6 bottles, I would go back in a heart beat.

Wife and I enjoyed a tasting with Michael, we showed up early to our tasting and they were great about fitting us in anyway. We both had a great time here and it was our first stop along our tastings through the valley. Turns out it was also our favorite, my wife was smart enough to buy some at the tasting but I wanted to see what else I came across. Now I'm back home wishing I had a bottle of the Crowd Pleasing Cuvee. Definitely a must see for anyone who wants a more intimate winery experience.

Many thanks to CJ for teaching and entertaining us with your expertise! We loved our visit to Judd's Hill! This is one of those "don't miss" places in my opinion!

We had a tasting at Judd's vineyard a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. The wines were wonderful and the customer service was the best I've ever experienced.

We were just looking into the area while visiting SanFransisco and randomly picked a small winery. It was small, did not look to fancy as many other places and fit us well for a short visit. Bougth a coule of bootles of white and tested later in the trip. I loved the place - even coming unexpectly and wit limited time we were welcomed with generosity. I would like to import some of the stuff they make.

My husband and I came to Judd's Hill in January while on our honeymoon. While it wasn't the "season" to see wine country, it was still a beautiful experience. We did the Cab tasting and both loved it! We took home two beautiful bottles, including a tasty Syrah. I definitely think Judd's will remain on my list and I plan to join their club. I would highly recommend to anyone!

We drove to this little winery and had a typical tasting on the front porch, by a lady who clearly enjoyed her job. This was one of the smaller wineries we visited but ended up being the best. The reason why is the wine.
We ended up buying a Sauvignon Blanc, chardonnay, Zinfandel and a Merlot. Nowhere else did we buy 4 bottles and the reason was that they just tasted so great!
It also waved the tasting fees which helped!
Highly recommend if you are in Napa, reservations required.

We made our reservation with a very friendly Michelle. We were also greeted by here at the door, and she poured our first taste. Then Marty came to join us an he was amazing. He truly is a wine educator, and we enjoyed our time with him. He was very knowledgeable and very happy to talk about wine. He made the experience one that we will remember years from now, and we have put doing a micro crush on our bucket list!

Our group had a great time at Judd's Hill; the staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable. We had a very fun time tasting, learning and laughing. I highly recommend the Culinary Experience package. Paring the wine with food was very educational, so cool to learn the history and "science" behind what makes wine and certain foods so wonderful together.

Wonderful tasting experience in a beautiful setting. Ryan was extremely informative and friendly. We did not feel rushed and the wine was fantastic.

Great fun in watching our grapes get crushed for our first vintage of GSM. In depth discussions of our vineyard plans, and got to sample some very nice Grenache and GSM from the region made by Eric.

I have known Judd for a while. He got me 'hooked' on his family's awesome wines more than a decade ago.
I used to work for a liquor store chain as a wine specialist, so I went to all the tastings and tasted a =LOT= of wines. And I can say with confidence that they are some of my favorite wines. My only complaint is that I cannot get them locally ... so have to 'plan ahead'

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! HAD the greatest time doing the Wine and Food in balance seminar at Judd's Hill with my friends. I learned so much about the nuances of wine with food and what to do if you want to change the way a wine hits your tongue! It was SO AWESOME!!!!!! Highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!! LOVED IT!!!!!

We had a wonderful tasting for my birthday. Very informative and casual. Good wine too. Would definitely reciting my friends.

My husband reserved seats for us during Flavor Napa! in 2012 to celebrate my 50th birthday. We fell in love with the winery, its people and of course, the wine. We've been back a couple times to visit and introduce others to Judd's Hill Winery. We even blended a barrel with Eric a couple years ago. Judd's Hill wines are delicious and their expression of the artistry of wine-making is amazing.

Excellent tasting. Informative, plenty of wines that we tasted. The tour guide (CJ)was very knowledgeable and friendly.

This winery sets the standard for customer service, and excellent wine at a great value. I’m a Cab guy, and theirs are great, but their blends are excellent as well! Can’t wait to get beyond this pandemic so we can visit again!

Judds' Hill came well recommended to us and we are certainly glad that we followed the recommendation. We received a warm and friendly Napa-style greeting which was followed by a casual but informative and thorough tasting presentation. Even the proprietor stopped by to say hello and ensure that we were enjoying ourselves. Needless to say the wines we sampled were superb and we left with several bottles. I would recommend that anyone visiting Napa add Judd's Hill to their itinerary. I certainly look forward to my next visit.

Great atmosphere, service, and most importantly wine. Came with a little one and they made it work too. Thanks for your flexibility and beautiful wines.

This is a very cozy, family winery where you can relax. The person who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and made it interactive. The wine was delicious! Their member program is well worth it.

Wanted my family to experience Napa by doing a “blending session”. My wife and myself have done these before and we try to vary the experience by location and type of wines blended.
The Judd’s Hill blending was truly different than our other blendings. It was a great experience for us and a great experience for our adult daughter’s ( who had never done a blending before).
When you finally try your finished product, if you like, Judd’s Hill will send additional bottles ( for an additional cost).
If you want to do something different in Napa (besides a tasting), seek this experience out!

We got to make our own red blend and the staff was wonderful to work with. We enjoyed the wine so much we became members of the winery. Thanks for the enjoyable experience.

Absolutely outstanding wines! Beautiful setting for wine tasting. Each wine highlighted a different fantastic flavor profile. Not to be missed!

Just Wow! Where do I begin?! Had the best experience doing the Bottle Blending class with my fiancè and his family at Judd’s Hill. Our wine guide, Ryan, was knowledgeable and fun, helping us create the perfect blend to take home and remember our trip with. The wine? Incredible! Loved it so much we joined the wine club. Judd and Bunnie Finkelstein even came over to introduce themselves and ensure we were enjoying our time. Between the stunning vineyard views, delicious wine, and unique and fun wine bottling class, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Also, our group favorite vineyard of a trip filled with lots of wine.

If you’re looking for a delightful stop that doesn’t require the rigors of dealing with highway 29 traffic and crowds, Judd’s Hill is for you. Charming, farm-like setting at the edge of rolling vineyards, with a very helpful and courteous staff. Enjoy beautifully crafted and well-built wines - you won’t be disappointed. Cheers!

We just had a stop when driving through Napa Valley and this place has a beautiful view. The pic here on trips advisor as the main pic they have is not the place you visit though - but the view from it... We didn't have a tasting since we had a long drive to continue with, but we brought a bottle of wine which were to our joy some days afterwards. Tasted good we enjoyed it to fruit and tapas (cheese and sausages). Hosts were friendly and we're not too pushy. We could have a walk around and make up our minds about the wine without feeling pushed to buy something. The bottle we bought were about 35 USD.

Having been to Napa County several times and visiting some of the most prestigious as well as small family owned wineries, Judd's Hill is in the top 3 for me for overall experience. Super friendly staff and wine is fantastic.

Have you ever dreamt of being a winemaker, having your own wine, label and bottles? My fantasy came true at Judd's Hill. I would recommend this experience to anyone that even has an inkling of what goes into making and blending wine. I can't wait to drink our blend, waiting for 3 months (bottle shock) and then diving in.......can I say I'm a winemaker? Sure, why not.

We had a great time at Judd's Hill. The wines were wonderful and the tasting was informative and fun.

We were very surprised at this winery’s high rating on TripAdvisor, we visited 12 wineries and the wine at Judd’s Hill was by far (in our opinion) the worst, the service was ok, we would not recommend stopping here.

We just arrived in Napa and looked up places to go on TripAdvisor. This is a gem! We were fortunate that it's Tuesday and we easily walked up without a reservation. Angie greeted us and made for an excellent experience and very informative tasting. So very welcoming and friendly. The Sauvignon Blanc was crazy good. We bought several bottles.

Fantastic time tasting wines on the menu as well as some of the menu, our win end tasting host Angie was very knowledgeable in telling us about Judd hills wibes

My wife and I traveled with three couples for the NAPA Experience. It was so enjoyable and memorable. Our host, CJ, was courteous, hilarious, informative and professional. It truly was a great experience.

CJ was odd, way too talkative, and condescending in her approach to wine education. Sad because the wine was decent and many of my friends enjoy Judd's Hill wine.

Judd’s Hill provided an excellent experience. Our tasting host was great and we learned a lot about the Napa area and the history of it’s wineries. Most importantly, the wine was excellent. Would recommend anyone to visit if you are in the Napa area.

We generally wouldn't join the very first winery we visited, but we joined Judd's Hill without a second thought. Intimate, small production winery with an unassuming, friendly, seated tasting.

I went to the winery with a Groupon gift to enjoy a wine and food pairing. I learned a lot and found out that the winery blends a variety of wines that are very well rounded.

Great tasting experience--wonderful wines..look forward to receiving our club wines. The person in charge of the tasting was a wealth of knowledge and extremely helpful.

We had a fantastic visit to Judd’s Hill! The setting is just wonderful sitting amongst the vines-you feel like your inside the vineyard! The tasting room was presented nicely and the wine was delicious! Definitely will be back to relax there, sip on some wine and, of course, bring some home!!

We wanted to do something different in Napa this time and the Wine Blending Day Camp turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Napa! CJ was so informative and fun! We tasted the wines individually first and then blended three options. After some discussion and more tasting we selected our blend. Next, we siphoned the wines out of the barrel, then bottled, corked and labeled our first signature blend. We can’t wait to go back with friends!!

We enjoyed the personal touch, the setting and the good wine. We had never experienced a wine tasting like this, so we were delighted to have this experience.

This lesser known gem is not too far from downtown Napa and we’ll worty the short drive. Try the reserves and estate wines - typical big Napa finishes.

Wines were a bit on the tart side across the board. Host was quite knowledgable, but condescending, to a rather astute group of wine enthusiasts.

We visited Sonoma/Napa for the first time with family that have visited Sonoma/Napa a half a dozen times. Judd’s Hill was a highlight for my wife and family who are wine lovers and for me who is still gaining appreciation for wine. Very educationa and enlightening l as we did a wine tasting class with wine expert, CJ. She was great! Her knowledge helped my appreciation for wine grow immensely and now I think I can do a half decent job at pairing my food with wine! Definitely a must stop if your going to Napa

We visited Judd’s Hill at the recommendation of a friend. The tour was so personal and up-close we felt we were part of the “family”. We were welcomed like old friends and had a delightful time. The wine is good as well ! If you are looking for a comfortable, welcoming winery I would recommend Judd’s Hill.

The minute we walked in the door we knew we were in for a very pleasant wine tasting experience. Our host was very personable and shared with us every detail of the winery, let alone the wine we were tasting. We were so impressed with the wine and the whole experience we joined their wine club that day. This is a MUST stop when in Napa as you will not be disappointed!

Trying wines in Napa this was a great one I highly recommend it.taste buy a few bottles then go home and enjoy.

We called ahead to make sure they could take us last minute as we were leaving Napa... we were so glad they had a reservation open! This place had wonderful hill views and even better wine! We were greeted by Michelle and their absolutely delicious Rose'. She brought all our flights and let my sister and I stick to the lights since it was a hot day. My friend had the reds flight and all of us enjoyed the wines and heavy pours as well! I think we each left with at least 4 bottles. They waived the tasting fee if you bought two bottles so that was a bonus as well. I would come back here in a heartbeat! I also wanted to mention they are very safe regarding the pandemic - everything is sanitized, the pourer wore gloves and everyone was masked -- extremely socially responsible.

Our tour of Judd's Hill was the most informative winery visit of the many that we made. Very enjoyable and great wine.

What a great outing for a group at Judd’s Hill Bottle Boot Camp. We learned how to blend, bottle and label our own blend of wine. So much fun!!!

We went in for a simple tasting. The wines were great and the staff friendly. Due to the weather, we also got to sit near a group doing a good & wine educational experience. That was quite the treat, and something we would love to do next time. The person in charge of the food-and-wine tasting was friendly and quite funny. The eponymous Judd even came by and chatted with everyone. Great experience, knowledgeable staff, fantastic wine.
(The winery has lost power due to wind or the power company cutting due to high fire risk. Was not a problem, though. Bonus: the winery was not on fire!)

Enjoyed Judd's Hill Winery very much! The tasting was relaxed and informative. The Winery is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

It was my first time visiting Napa with my Wife who has been a number of times. As a neophyte to Napa I appreciated Michaels masterful job detailing the history and story behind Judd's, their varietals, and those of the surrounding regions.
Purchased a case of wine and look forward to enjoying with special friends.

We made a spur of the moment trip to Judd's Hill and thankfully could get a reservation. We were greeted by friendly staff who were extremely knowledgeable and exceptional wine. We would highly recommend this winery

I surprised my husband for his birthday with their Bottle Blending Day Camp. We met with Todd, who had a lot of great recommendations as well as stories about all the local wineries. We spent the 2.5 hours in their cellar blending our own wine and were able to try a few from the tasting room as we blended. It was such a fun way to spend the afternoon and we're excited to try out own wine (we bought 6 bottles) in a few months. Thanks for such a great day and a memorable birthday!

We visited three wineries that day and my wife and I both agreed that Judd’s Winery overall had a great selection and I especially liked the reds we tasted.

This winery is small, but the wine was tasty. Fun little patio to end our day. The wine tasting was just us, a welcome change after the day's crowds.

Was part of a small group of friends. Lots of fun learning how to blend wines and enjoy the outdoors.

We had a wonderful experience at this winery where we spent time w/ CJ. She shared with us tons of information about wine & the Napa Valley region. All the wines we tasted were amazing. I would highly recommend a visit.

We loved learning about wine food parings with our knowledgeable wine educator! Exceeded expectations. Our

Judd and his staff make you feel like family and their wine is amazing! My new wife and I received VIP treatment and were able to tour the entire facility. I cannot wait to go back.

We rented bikes in Napa and rode here. It was fun and we enjoyed the personal greeting we got when we arrived. It was delightful to sit outside for our tasting, which was a nice mix of reds and whites. We purchased two bottles and they arrived just after we returned home. The art of the founder showcased inside was inspiring and some of it appears on the bottles. We asked for advice for a picnic lunch and what they told us was perfect. We enjoyed a great sandwich just up the road.

We had the best experience during our visit! Judd's Hill has a very intimate and beautiful setting and the wines were very good. It was so much fun that I became a member. I don't remember her name now, but the lady that helped us with the tasting experience was great! and fun to talk with. My girlfriend and I were so glad we visited that day!

Had a fun experience here again. We’ve been wine club members for ages which gives us a lot more flexibility in the tasting menu. The guy serving us was super informative and friendly. If it has been a tiny bit warmer we could have spent hours on their patio sipping their wines.

We arrived and were treated to a real treat! What delicious wines and a great venue! We liked every winr=e we tried. And we felt very welcomed.

Rosa treated us very very well. I love that we get to sit down and enjoy our tasting. I joined as a member!

Make a reservation, plan to spend a few hours delighting in the knowledge of the team and definitely eat the chocolate.

Great people and facility and we were blessed with Judd stopping by to judge our wine. Would recommend an outing there.

Knowledgeable and unpretentious staff made for a delightful experience. Really enjoyed it. Wine is excellent.

CJ is great and the overall wine tasking experience provided by Judd's HIll is awesome! Thank you Judd's Hill Winery!

CJ was an excellent facilitator, who lead our group to discover what we could accomplish together! Whether planning a new activity for family, friends, or work teams, Judd’s Hill wine blending hits the mark!

The scenery, the staff, the WINE, the education and the FUN of being “hands on”, made this a highlight for the group of us... and we visited NINE wineries, so this is saying a lot. 😉🍷 We just shared the wine we blended, bottled, corked, sealed and labeled with family this Easter and everyone LOVED IT!

Family visiting for the holidays...we had an afternoon at Judd's Hill. It was relaxing and informative. The wines were great!

Small intimate winery. Great wines and friendly hosts. Marty was our server and he was great. He gave us a lot of pours and let us try a lot of different things.

A non pretentious winery. Todd Rickhoff spent almost two hours educating us on wine. He was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Appointments are preferred, but got lucky and they fit us in. Loved their 2015 Lodi old zin, 2014 petite sirah, and 2012 Kairos cab. Would definitely return.

Judd hill has a beautiful scenery and delicious wines but our entire experience was made superb by CJ. She took the time to sit with us during each wine tasting explain the wines explain the grapes the harvest how to drink the wine and any other questions we had . So informative so sweet and such a pleasure to spend time with .

We visited 4 wineries on a tour that day and learned the most from the presentation at Judd Hill. And they make some really good wines too.

Jamie from Priority Wine Pass recommended Judd’s Hill. This is a small winery that produces 3000 cases. It is a beautiful setting as you look out upon two different farmers vineyards. It is rather interesting as the vineyards are planted in exactly opposite directions. We tasted grapes directly from the vine in both vineyards. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were good.

The trip was amazing and we met Judd himself, which made everything better, we took pictures and learned about the winery as well! Just an amazing place!

My wife, her friend and I went here for a wine tasting and were totally blown away! Their wine, location and our host Marty were excellent! He took the time to explain the wines to us, we were not rushed and my wife's friend can't drink reds, so he made her a white only tasting. I highly recommend Judd's Hill, among the finest wine tasting experiences I've had.

We had a nice and quiet tasting, the building isn’t very big but it has an outdoor patio you can sit and sip. Our host was very knowledgeable and gave us great info about Napa and places to eat and etc as well. Great service and we enjoyed the wine! We ended buying a few bottles to take home.

we were "grapeful" to visit Judd's Winery. Rosa And Michael are the best in the business .I recommend that anyone visiting Napa Valley visit this winery. We needed r n r, and stepped into serenity, harmony and joy!! The wind is superb, and glad we now have some for our Thanksgiving table! Muchas gracias!!!

Our first trip to Napa and we lucked up when we made reservations at Judd's Hill Winery. We love finding family wineries and this one did not disappoint. We were seated outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed our tasting. The wines were explained, we did not feel rushed, and when we requested help in choosing another family run winery, Judd's Hill was quick to offer assistance. We left with 2 bottles of wine and appreciate that they waved one tasting fee ( 2 bottles per person equals one tasting fee). What a great place!

Lovely time spent with good friends, Our picnic was great and our tastings were fantastic! We were spoiled!

Initial impression was stuffy. Host made you feel you were lucky she was even talking to you. Once seated however, the whole visit turned great. The pourer who was assigned to us was polar opposite. I do not remember his name now, but he was an older gentleman with lots of Napa and ventaculture trivia. Wines were great, and so were the views.

We had a great experience and enjoyed our visit to Judd’s Hill. We were pleased with the staff, their knowledge and their willingness to educate inexperienced wine drinkers. We actually went back a second time and were not disappointed!

My first time to Napa Valley and really loved your family atmosphere. Will definitely be back! The wine was amazing!

Our host was congenial and very well informed on the wines served. We found all but one of the ~ six wines excellent, and several were very unique (in a nice way), reflecting skilled winemakers, in our view. The location was easy to find and the tasting room and surroundings very attractive.

We were greeted immediately upon arrival by C.J. & shown to our table. She explained everything that would happen and performed her job with expertise and also humor. We had a wonderful and relaxing time from start to finish. We felt very welcome & appreciated. We bought several bottles of our favorites to bring home & to Washington state.

Second time at this winery! I love it here. Beautiful property, delicious wine and great hospitality

recommend visiting when in Napa. The individual that provided us with the tasting taught the group a lot about wine.

Great wines and very laid back. The reds were our favorite and we have some here now to enjoy. It’s delicious and nutritious!

We spent an enjoyable afternoon tasting wine at Judd Hill. The scenery was pretty, our host was knowledgeable and attentive and the wine was good. They accept the Priority Wine Pass for a two for one tasting experience.

My sister in law and I spent our weekend in Napa and visited Judd's Hill Winery and MicroCrush on our last day there. We learned so much about the history of wine and LOVED making our very own wine together while there! Definitely worth a visit!

Wow! This was our first stop, recommended by our hotel .The two wines we enjoyed most in our tastings were the Sauvignon Blanc, and Malbec.
Fresh! Beautiful scenery.

My daughter gave us a wine pairing gift to Judd's Hill. My wife and I enjoyed this experience very much. As a result we decided to join their wine club. With a 4 bottle a quarter requirement we thought since we liked the wine and hospitality of the staff, why not. Upon exploring the benefits that are afforded to members we think this was a good decision.

We stopped in at 3 PM on a Tuesday. The level of attention we received was fantastic - everyone was very friendly. We spent a good half hour with Judd, enjoyed some great wines, and made new friends. An outstanding experience.

So enjoyed this tasting! Not only was the wine amazing, but loved learning how to taste from our host!!

Dropped in to Judd's Hill when our plans for the day met with difficulty because we happen to be in here on the weekend of the Napa Marathon, so the oads eere aa little problematic. What a wonderful surprise! The vino is excellent and the setting is lovely. Highly recommend a visit.

CJ ,our personal wine expert was a delight and encyclopedia of knowledge of wines, food parings, regional climates of where all wine grapes are grown and a total joy to spend over two hours with.Looking forward to our wine club wines when they arrive. Thanks CJ!

We went here on Christmas even and Rosa was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the wines, property and family. This place feels like home and is not pretentious like most Napa wineries

The sommelier made our experience magical: his knowledge of the wines, the region and the industry is vast. The wines that we tried were excellent and the weather and scenery added to the ambiance.

Great Wine with a great food pairing, was so much fun to go to the winery and sit through a food pairing very informative

We felt welcome and well looked after. Learning the family history was fascinating. The wines were very good.

Four of us had a great time at the private tasting and food pairing. Excellent presentation and wine information was presented.

We've been to Napa & Sonoma many times, but this was our first visit to Judd's Hill. It's not super fancy, but it's lovely! We sat outside with Bunny Matz ( the owner) and had really delicious wine, with chocolates. We loved it, bought several bottles of wine and would definitely go back again.

This is a casual, chill, laid-back winery. We learned a lot about wine and tasted some good ones while overlooking some of their vineyards. Good experience!

excellent wine and tasting room ( can sit down!!!) with thoughtful selection of wines to taste. Will go back in spring to do the personal bottle creation session.

GREAT experience! The wines were great. We really enjoyed the petite syrah, cab, and sauvignon blanc. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Great place. I didn't realize you need a reservations for this place. Luckily, they were able to squeeze a last minute reservations in for my girlfriend and I. The staff was very friendly and curitious, and the wine was delicious and very easy to drink.

Wonderful and accommodating staff:) we were pleased to meet with the winemaker, Eric, and his assistant, Alex! An overall great time tasting some great wines. Heather loves the Sauvignon Blanc!!!

As residents of the Bay Area with a small vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina, we have been to many wineries worldwide.
We belong to a number of wine clubs, but Judd’s Hill is by far our favorite. We joined a few years ago because of the excellent wine and staff. The wine and food pairing class is so fun and educational!
Since then we have not only joined Judd and family on two wine cruises (Mississippi and Seine Rivers), but also met a whole new bunch of great club members via the Zoom wine tastings during Covid.
I cannot recommend this family-owned winery any more highly!!! GO!!!

Great Winery, beautiful setting, quaint and very friendly! CJ was VERY knowledge about the wines, the area and so much fun!! The wines will surprise you from this smaller winery, make it a priority to visit Judd's Hill, you won't be disappointed!

Did the wine blending event as part of corporate team building and we had a great time! Highly recommend this family owned winery.

My mom & I visited Judds Hill for the first time yesterday after a recommendation from a friend! We sat on the patio and we had an incredible tasting with CJ! She was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the wine and other fun wine facts! We purchased 2 bottles to take home and I will continue to visit Judds Hill each time I come to the valley!

Very enjoyable experience. Team is friendly and knowledgeable. There is no rush or presentation feel like at some of the bigger wineries. Feels like more of a visit with friends. Recommend if you want good wine in a low key atmosphere

We ended our wine tour at Judd’s Hill winery and our driver really saved the best for last. The presentation was amazing, the lady doing the presentation is very knowledgeable and fun.

This winery was so fun! We visit Napa frequently and are always excited to find a winery which has an amazing selection of wines and is also cost friendly! Additionally they welcomed our two English bulldogs!

This was the last of our 9 wine tastings in 3 days. It has a very pretty setting and the wine was good. We were offered some different options to taste that weren’t on the menu so that was fun to try something new. We ended up buying 4 bottles as they waive the tasting fee with a 2 bottle purchase per person- so it’s a win/win - get to take home the wine we enjoyed for not much more money than the tasting fee. We heard about the wine/pairing seminar and didn’t have time to do it but from what we overheard CJ telling other tables I’m sure it’s fabulous!

My wife and I have been to Judd's Hill Winery on many occasions, we've attended several of their events over the years such as the Lobster Luau, Valentine's Day, Founder's Dinner, and the Hanukkah Hootenanny and it is always well organized, fun for all, usually with live music or other entertainment along with many wonderful wines to choose from. During this visit to Napa we had heard they had limited opening during the COVID re-opening. We called and made an appointment for a visit and were greeted by a helpful, masked staff who first took our temperatures and had a sign in sheet before we were seated at an outdoor table with fantastic vineyard views on a warm California day in the Valley. We had just stopped for a Tasting and to purchase a few bottles while we were in town. We're big fans of their Cabs, Zins, Malbec and Merlot but they also have lovely Chardonnays and we enjoy their Rose. As always this small, family owned winery never disappoints.

My husband, friends, and myself attended the Food and Balance Seminar with Rosa as our guide. It was such a great experience. Rosa was so well spoken and taught us a lot of how tasting different foods, can enhance your wine. I would definitely recommend to my friends and would even go again!

Great hosts...but just OK as a tour. Its a very small place...so if you like this type of tour...go for it. Wine is very good..a boutique kind of place

wine was great and the tour was also great!! the winery was small but made great wine! one of the best in napa

We did this for a staff sales incentive reward. Everyone enjoyed the property and the education that they received during the time here. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Me and my wife enjoyed a wonderful tasting at Judd’s Hill. Our host Marty was full of local wine facts and helped identify our tastes. We left with 4 amazing bottles for home.

Enjoyable n very informative. Lessons that will stay with throughout our lives. CJ created a relaxing n fun experience. We are enjoying the wine we purchased n brought home with us. Another visit in the future is definitely in our plans. We sharing with friends n family back home our positive experience

Great place to go and visit, sip wine, try new things in an intimate setting and learn about local grapes and blends from Todd!

Fun experience and great place to celebrate a 100th birthday!! My dearest friend from high school is one of your club members, so part of celebrating her dad's 100th birthday was a wine tasting at your winery. You were wonderful to him, and we enjoyed all of your wines.

Definitely off the beaten path a bit, out in the country. Very casual atmosphere. A mix of varietals, two different tasting options at different price points. We enjoyed everything we tasted! The service was great - we had CJ. She was delightful & is incredibly knowledgeable.

Visited with my wife for a tasting and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and lovely view. The wines were very good and we got very well looked after by Adam - who was both very personable and informative. He was clearly very knowledgeable and happily answered every question we had. We would highly recommend.

Judd's Hill winery has a relaxing setting with beautiful vineyards all around. Driving in through the trees and over the bridge you feel like you are getting away from it all on gorgeous Silverado Trail. The wines are exceptional and of very high quality. A real Napa Valley experience for all wine lovers and lovers of Napa Valley.

We have been members of the Judd’s Hill wine club for over 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience throughout. They epitomize what a small family winery and gracious hospitality can be in Napa Valley. By all means, make an appointment to taste their wines and get to know them. Jeff R.

This was the first stop on our day of touring Napa and was definitely our favorite. The gentleman that spoke to us was very knowledgable and we loved the wines. It was a beautiful February day and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view. Our host suggested a great photo op location after the tasting where we took my favorite photo of the trip. This is a great winery that everyone would enjoy.

An enjoyable and memorable tasting experience with an expert (and truly entertaining) named CJ. Dropped in to sample the atmosphere, and left a little wiser - given the wealth of info CJ provided. Perhaps we've graduated from wine infants to snobs?!?! ;-) Certainly had fun in the process and can enthusiastically recommend to family and friends alike.

We had a company venture there and used the blending as a team adventure. It was such a fun experience and would love to go back and do it for a birthday party. Everyone was so great!

Hello Wine Lovers! I book corporate groups in the NV and Judd's Hill is our "go to" vendor for a fun way to learn how to blend and bottle wine. You even get a custom label and bottle to take home. Add this stop to your bucket list!

We did not book a tasting session, but it is recommended. We had a nice tasting session for 1,5 hour and bought with us several wines home. They were very friendly and we really enjoyed the stay at Judds Hill. We really recommend this place.

Awesome staff and the 13 Estate is one of our favorite cabs! Scenery is amazing and don't forget to check out their organic garden!

Beautiful grounds, great staff, wonderful wine. Definitely worth the visit. Plan on visiting again on my next trip to Napa

The tasting room was very welcoming and pleasant, and the wines were superlative! Overall a great experience, and we'll definitely go back again!

Thanks a million to Todd who made our tasting a really wonderful experience. In the end, we had 11 (!!!) different wines and could hardly decide which ones to buy

Great fun! Michele did a great job helping me decide which wine to buy. I hope to return and enjoy other wines.

Wonderful staff. Mike, the GM, is clearly a sweet and knowledgeable person. We had a wonderful time outdoors and I enjoyed the Chardonnay <3 thank you!!

If you are looking for your own personal wine tasting experience, this is the place to go! Judd’s Winery offers lovely views and an intimate setting. Our host, Todd, was very knowledgeable about the wine industry and history of the area. He selected the ‘just right’ wines for our different pallets. We enjoyed our visit!
Bob and Teresa

We arrived and were met by Marty. We came a little early but he welcomed us and invited us to sit down and began to answer our questions and informed us about their winery He listened to our preferences in types of wine and made sure to select ones for us to taste. Our whole experience was relaxed and are determined to visit again when returning to Napa next year..

We attended CJs wine and food pairing seminar and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We spent two hours tasting delicious wines and learning the real story behind how to fully enjoy your wine with different flavored food. We highly recommend this experience, as well as the wine club membership.

Very enjoyable host, very entertaining, knowledgeable. Loved the patio area for relaxing and enjoying a great glass of wine.

Hi Folks, We visited several wineries that day on tour with Platypus. Many on our tour and I agreed that your wine tasting was the least comfortable and enjoyable. Most other places have a bar area or patio where you get your wine samples and then there is ample time to socialize, walk around, and enjoy, savor, and taste the wine in a casual, relaxing way. At Judd's Hill we were seated around a table, and the whole experience felt more confining. It's also awkward to be asked how we liked the wines after one quick taste, as that may not be such an easy question to answer. My suggestion is that you folks go on some other wines tasting visits in the Napa area, and get a better idea about how other wineries are doing it. We enjoyed Bouchaine, and Hagafen on the tour. I hope you find this feedback helpful. --Kirby Wohlander

Extremely knowledgeable host, wonderful pairings, and excellent wines. A must-do experience while you're In Napa.

When you have the scenery, the knowledgable wine expert and great wine, what more is there?! Enjoyed a wonderful midday break at Judd's Hill and even joined the wine club. Great setting and very nice people.

Incredible customer service with a total pro pouring our wines!! They provide the old-school Napa Valley tasting experience with new school wines. A definite destination on Silverado Trail.

My wife, kids and their "significant others" - all told a group of 6 of us recently did a wine tasting and bottle blending class at Judd's. WOW!! What a great time had by all. This was my 6th visit to Napa but the first time I've visited Judd's Hill and "hands down" the best experience I've had at a Napa winery. The staff was so friendly and professional. The wines are exceptional ( we joined their wine club) and the scenery was spectacular....vineyards surrounding the winery in all directions. Kudos to Ryan for making the bottle blending class so informative and fun. We even had the pleasure of meeting Judd and his mom Bunny - two very nice down to earth people clearly passionate about what they do. This winery should be on everyone's short list of wineries to visit when in Napa. You won't regret it

Awesome experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not only do you blend your own wine, but you syphon from the barrel, fill bottle, cork, foil and design your own label. Lots of fun!
Highly recommend!

The Judd’s Hill folks were great (including Judd himself) and the wines are amazing! Make an appointment for a visit!

Make this place a required stop on your tour. Wines were great and so was the experience. We had a large group of ladies (16) and they were awesome.

Very very enjoyable. Beautiful landscaping and the wines were great. The gentleman who took care of us was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure.

Great tasting experience with a former wine educator, plus great quality wines as well. This is conveniently located north of the city of Napa, but off the beaten path of recognized wine tourism locations.

Judd’s Hill is appointment only so you get personalized attention. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside on the patio. We loved the wines so much we joined the wine club.

The inclement weather didn't matter. What mattered was the wonderful wine, the knowledgeable staff and their obvious passion for their winery. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for. Small and intimate... One of the best afternoons we had during our trip to the Napa Valley!

Very knowledgeable and engaging wine tasting. Delicious wines. Very good hospitality. I would highly recommend this stop and purchasing great wines.

Great place and very friendly and hospitable folks. My only regret was Judd not playing the uke for us.

Loved our experience at Judd’s Hill Winery. It was wonderful to get out of the crowds and have a personalized experience wine tasting.

We’ve been to Judd’s Hill twice and had a special experience both times. The wines were very good across a broad range of whites to bold reds. The staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant. They give you space to enjoy the beautiful setting while sipping their wines, but are always available when we had a question or were ready for the next tasting. Sitting outdoors while tasting the wines was magical in the summer, surrounded by 270 degree views of grape vines. Well worth a stop when in Napa. One of only a handful or so of privately owned wineries left in the valley.

We enjoyed our intimate experience with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wine was delicious and the scene lovely!

4 of us had a private bottle blending experience and it was amazing. We are still raving about it and recommending it to our friends. The staff here at Judd's hill are super warm and welcoming, and CJ who ran our event is a treasure. It was so informative and fun at the same time during the 2 hours we blended our own wine. We ended up with our own unique blend, created 5 bottles, corked, sealed and labeled. By the time we left, we became members of the "family" when we joined their wine club due to the excellent wine they produce and excellent pricing. Cannot wait to go back on our next visit to Napa.

My three friends and I visited via appointment. We were greeted warmly and treated as family. Judd stopped by and spent considerable time with us explaining the wines and history. We had a mini tour. Employees are lovely. Reds are my favorite and were delicious but we tasted everything! Best day ever!!

What a great afternoon it was! I called for reservations and was told I could go the same day. Wonderful. When my dad and I arrived, we were entertained and educated by a gentleman who spent all his time catering to our wishes and acted as if he had all the time in the world. The wine was great, the view was fabulous, and the entire experience was memorable.

Loved all the wineries we visited, but this one stole our hearts. I just wish we had brought more back with us! Such delicious small batch wine. Especially the zin and magic!

Nice, smaller winery. Great wine. Nice people. We had lunch there, by Lunch Box, that was excellent!

Here the wine tasting goes in a full relaxed atmosphere, outside on the terrace and with a view over the vines, excellent !
the wines were okay, not outstanding, but the whole experience is worth the visit.
you can also walk in the vines, do it as it give you a unique Napa Valley experience.

Well, what can I say. Of the 7 Napa wineries we visited, this was the biggest taste disappointment. The wines left much to be desired although Ryan was great with his information. However, all taste is subjective and it might be “da bomb” for someone else! Judd's Hill is a Priority Wine Pass participant.

Don't blink, or you might miss the entrance to this winery. Over an old bridge, tucked away in the hills, a little garden oasis and great wine! Great inside/outside tastings with fabulous hosts. I

The winery has a great view and the wine was delicious. Wonderful service, we loved it and will be back.

Great place, friendly staff. You can buy there excellent wine or have your own barrel produced. They are very passionate about their wine.

Judd is a great host and a fantastic person. He is very personable and knowledgable. His wine tastes excellent and our entire experience was fantastic.

Judd’s Hill may be my new favorite winery in Napa. Devon was a fabulous host and we really enjoyed our tasting experience.

We had wonderful experience with our group at your winery.
Learning & blending our own blend of Wine & Judd coming in & meeting us & helping
us pick our final 3 blends to the best one. & than going out into the barrel area & bottling
our own bottles calling it (The 110). Thank You for the experience & highly recommend a visit.

I'm not sure why I wasn't expecting much from this winery but we had a really nice morning tasting wine at Judd's Hill. We had a great wine educator and that made the experience even better than the wine!

We walked in with 4 people maybe 30 minutes before they closed. They were super accomodating and polite. We tasted all of their wine and had a wonderful time. I thought their wine was very good, so we ended up becoming members. Not absurdly overpriced like some others nearby. Highly recommend.

3 couples had such fun making our own wine and doing a blind test to see who won. We all agreed it was a success. Highly recommend it for groups

We came here after going to a big winery the prior day and not enjoying the experience. Todd took the time to teach us about how wine is produced and described each wine. We were able to ask a ton of questions and Todd was positive and helpful the whole way. The tasting fees were reasonable and we left with suggestions on what else to do in Napa.

Judd’s Hill has everything a Napa winery should: Excellent, varied and reasonably priced wines, an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a familial and scenic ambience.
Located only minutes from downtown Napa, near the foot of the Silverado Trail, Judd’s Hill is a small gem that should not be missed.....and their wine club parties, cruises and other perks provide additional reasons to form a more permanent relationship with these fine folk.

We had a company team event - and we got to blend our own wines, and bottle the best one - make labels...and we tried (and purchased) several of their wines. Must go!!!

Really loved the visit and making wine our own wine. So fun! Thanks to our host CJ, we learned a lot about the science of wine along the way. The wines are wonderful. Highly recommend!

My mom is a wine enthusiast and loved this experience. The take home bottles were a nice souvineir for her special birthday to be enjoyed at special family gatherings in the future. Nice small group setting. The staff - Todd - was fantastic! He knew a lot about wine and helped us make the perfect blend.

CJ ran our tasting and was fantastic. She was entertaining, educational and a ton of fun. The whole staff was great and we couldn’t have found a better way to start our trip!!!

Our host Todd was awesome. He is knowledgeable and funny. A great experience blending our own wine, bottling it, naming it, and going home with our own bottles.

Intimate setting with nice outside tables able to accommodate up to 4 people to enjoy the scenery and some great wine! Employee that served us the wine tasting was very knowledgeable and personable.

My girlfriend and I didn’t realize we needed a reservation, however the staff offered us to stay and were more than accommodating . Our sommelier was truly a professional and allowed us to take pictures of their vineyard. Had an amazing time! Thank you for the wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!

Judd's Winery hosted our Wine Blending event and it was a blast! Very interactive and we had a lot of laughs. I would recommend this for any team building activity. We are still talking about the wine we created on group chats. Thanks to Rosa for being a gracious host and educating our team!
Annie Keith

Took a long weekend in wine country with friends and this was our last stop. It was a lovely way to slow down, sit, enjoy excellent wine, and just soak up our last day in CA. It was laid back and moved at our pace. We ended up staying almost 3 hours!
Highly recommend, but remember to make a reservation

We enjoyed our tasting at this smaller winery. It was an intimate setting with a very personable sommelier. A wonderful time - highly recommended.

We had a bottle of their wine at a restaurant our first night in Napa and it was great. Decided we wanted to go there and taste their other wines. I around noon and a recording stated tastings were by appointment only. I received a call back within the hour for an appointment. It was a weekday, so it all worked out well for us. Might be harder to get an appointment so fast on the weekend. We had a private tasting on the outside patio. We joined their wine club and purchased a case of a variety of wine to be shipped. Added bonus was driving over the narrow bridge to get to the winery.

We were on a wine tour and this was one of the stops. We had a great time sipping and learning about their wine. We even bought a few bottles to,take home.

We had a fantastic experience. CJ was a wine guide, and she was adorable! She knew so much and was eager to share her knowledge, without being overbearing at all. We laughed at some of her quips for the rest of our trip. Besides the "experience," we also thought it was the best wine of our trip (and we went to six wineries!). Since it was our first stop, we didn't purchase a wine membership, but plan to do so when we get back home. It will definitely be on our list for future visits to the valley. We highly recommend!

We visited Judd's Hill along with several others in the Stags Leap district. We enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Meritage.

Had Limo Tour It Was Great. 8 People In Limo Tour. We Had Four Stops And This Was The Best. It Was Very Hot, But We Still Had A Great Time.

Loved the wine and atmosphere. You can order your own barrel of wine!! The winemaker made us feel right at home. We will definitely visit the next time we are in Napa.

We had very informative and fun experience with Ryan, our “edutainer.” I highly recommend their wine blending day camp, regardless of your wine experience level. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a great time and the experience couldn’t have been better. Marty was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We’re total wine novices and would definitely go back.

We went to Judd's Hill as part of a tour. The winery was absolutely beautiful, and the hosts were extremely nice and welcoming. Wine was great too! we took home a bottle!

Great wine and atmosphere. Rosa our hostess was awesome and very informative. Tasting was reasonably priced.

Judd Hills was recommended as a small winery worth visiting, and when we saw that they were featuring their cabs from the wonderful 2013 Napa cab year, we made an appointment. Unfortunately our visit was disappointing, the least enjoyable winery visit among the 50+ Californian wineries we have visited in the last 15+ years.
2013 was a great year for classic Napa cabs, characterized by a great balance between fruit and tannin's, deep ruby red and full bodied. We have enjoyed them from more than 40 wineries. The winemaker at Judd must have pursued a different style because their wines displayed a dearth of such characteristics. The host described them as 'lighter'. We found them wanting compared to every single other 2013 cab we have tasted, not at all characteristic of the superb vintage.
The disappointment with the nature of the wines was exacerbated by the insensitive nature of our host. She showed no interest in our wine knowledge and experience and launched into ad-hoc lectures about wine and the pairing of food and wine, and was quick to mention her own credentials and the classes she offered for those ignorant of such matters, in which category she clearly assumed us to be. Had she had the common courtesy and wisdom to make even the merest inquiry about our wine experience (40 years in the making) she would have realized that her tutorial style of presentation was unnecessary, and her self-promotion inappropriate.
If you enjoy lighter wines and tutorials about the basics of wine, you might enjoy Judd. Otherwise, there are literally hundreds of other wineries to visit within 25 miles of Judd with a better ambiance, more considerate hosts and wine that is more representative of the style that has brought fame and fortune to the Napa Valley.

My wife and aren't exactly wine aficionados, however after talking with CJ during our wine tasting, and then the next day taking her class pairing flavors with wines we learned to appreciate why certain wines match better with different flavors. Everyone we met was extremely nice and knowledgeable - and passionate about wine! Their wines were great so we signed up for the club to enjoy their great wines year-round.

We visited Judd’s Hill in Sept 2018 as it was a quick drive from downtown Napa & easy for us to drive ourselves. We called day-of and they had openings.
Todd greeted us upon arrival and we had a seating outdoor tasting on their terrace overlooking the stunning vineyards.
It is worth mentioning they only produce ~8,000 barrels a year and the rest of their business is spent bottling wine for small businesses/people (hence “micro-crush”). The owner used to own Whitehall Lane and sold it years ago as he just wanted to focus on wine making and not growing. All of Judd’s grapes are sourced/contracted from surrounding vineyards owned by their neighbors.
The wines are moderately priced and if you buy 2 bottles it waives 1 tasting fee (tasting fee is $35/pp for 5 wines). Todd was awesome & I swear we tried 8+ & learned a great deal about their process.
We had such a wonderful experience here, it was very relaxing and down to earth.
We purchased a 2012 Judd’s Hill Founders Art Reserve Cab, as well as a 2013 Judd Cab. Would recommend to anyone who has an “off tour” day looking to drive yourself.

Had a great time learning about wine tasting and took a few bottles home. Very informative and fun time.

My husband and I loved just relaxing amongst the grape vines, sipping tasty wine and chatting with our host. We wish we could remember his name, but he was super friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great experience.

As a small winery, I enjoyed the personal service. The best part was creating your own red blend. It was a great learning experience since you tasted how changing the component wines in the blend blend affected the resulting wine.

Everything about our wine tasting at Judd’s Hill was great. We easily made our reservation on their website to fit our touring schedule and received an immediate confirmation. We were kindly greeted and offered outdoor seating next to the rows of grape vines recently harvested. Our host was totally dedicated to our visit and was very informative about the family history and the wines we were tasting. Our one hour scheduled visit lasted much longer and we were offered tastings over and above what we expected. We were familiar with one of the Judd’s Hill wines prior to our visit but discovered many more through the individual choices we were offered. A great early afternoon that ended with our membership to their wine club, waiving the tasing fee, some selected wines shipped home at a discount, some additional special wines to tastes, a very nice parting gift, and a great suggestion for lunch I’m Napa.

Wonderful, small winery! We enjoyed the service immensely and loved their red wines! Would highly recommend Judd Hill for a unique small winery experience. It is less commercialized!

Amazing selection of red and white wines. Great, complex flavors for offerings. Service is amazing, staff is knowledgeable and personable. One of the unexpected bonuses is the beautiful scenery.

Sat for a tasting with my parents and our wine educator Todd made the experience amazing. He was very knowledgeable with not only the wine and vineyard but also the history of the area and made some great suggestions for places to go after the vino. His quality of service was outstanding and really made the experience memorable.

Everything was great except one thing really messed up our trip. I bought a 12 bottle box from the winery to bring wine back home. Our flight was later the same day. When we got back to the hotel to pack our wine , we discovered we were only given a 6 bottle wine box. We were already running late because during our check out at the winery, they were having computer issues. This took another 25 minutes of our time. So now we were scrambling to see if our hotel had boxes or could ship for us. This all added extra stress we did not need to end our trip. Unfortunate circumstances occurred :(. I will not take away stars bc we liked the wine itself and the tasting.

We had a fantastic afternoon at Judd's Hill. Our visit lasted a lot longer than our appointment time. We were having so much fun tasting the wine and learning at the same time. You converted me from white to red wine... Can't wait to enjoy the bottles we shipped home :) thanks!

Beautiful property, professional and friendly staff, wonderful wines! Truly a hidden gem. We were impressed with the family story behind the winery as well as the generosity of the family.

Spent an afternoon at Judd's Hill in mid-September for a corporate event. We did the wine-blending and were able to sample several different wines. After a friendly wine-blending competition the winning team was able to blend, bottle and label the winning blend for the group. Every part of this event was interesting and fun. Highly recommend!!

We received excellent service and wine!! Marty was exceptional!! It was not overcrowded, we received that "individual, one on one service " and the overall experience was wonderful. It was our first time visiting Napa Valley and we will for sure go back........especially to Judd's Hill winery.

We had a wonderful visit to Judd's Hill. The people there were friendly and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing. The wines were fabulous!

Had a great time. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Had a group of 8, we were on time and they were ready for us.

We stopped at Judd's Winery 10 minutes before they closed without a reservation. We had 5 people in our party. They were so accommodating and welcomed us. The presentation of the wine and history that we learned about their wines was wonderful. We loved the wines so much we ended up shipping home a case. Can't wait to come back next year!

There was a patio but it was very hot that day and we asked to go inside. The only available room which was more of a small conference room was being used so we finished our tasting in the lobby. Plus there were no grounds to walk around or anything interesting to see. For $40 per person, all you got was a tasting of very average wines. Very disappointing visit.

My daughter and I had a wonderful visit and tasted as well as bought great wine. My husband and I had been at Judd's years ago.

Loved, loved, loved this place. Personal service and great wine made our visit excellent. CJ was our hostess and she was wonderful. One of our favorites in Napa.

I was in town for a conference and had a few extra hours so I chose this winery. I loved the family feel of their website and saw they kept everything in house, which I can appreciate. I was running late from San Fran getting up there for my 1 person tasting and called to see if that'd be a problem. They were so accommodating and stated it was fine but let me know they closed at 4 (weekday). I showed up about 15 min late and I had a tasting all alone with CJ. SHE IS A BREATHE OF FRESH AIR. I loved everything about her but mostly her transparent and honest personality. She educated me while having a relaxed and fun atmosphere. My wine tasting was to die for and I walked out of there a club member. I will be coming back for more Napa visits but Judd's will be my #1 on my list. Thank you to everyone at Judd's!!!

We went for wine tasting, their wine is good. Of course you need to pay for tasting. People there are nice & seem like they know what they are talking about

This was our favorite tasting experience in Napa! The wine was delicious and we learned so much! Make a reservation, and go visit this winery!

We spent a lovely morning on the beautiful, quiet property of Judd’s Hill. It was right off one of the main roads but felt very private.
We took the wine and food pairing class from CJ. She is so knowledgeable and funny! We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Napa wines and how certain elements in wines bring out different flavors in food. We recommend it!

Bottling Day camp is a wonderful way to learn and experience Napa. Definitely will be recommending this to everyone!!!!

We always look for new wineries we have t been to. This one was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. The staff were personable and informative. Loved the wine and will definitely be back.

Our first stop in Napa and it set the bar so high!!! Absolutely loved the wine, the views and the phenomenal service!! We will absolutely be back!

My husband and I were in Napa for 9 days for an anniversary trip and Judd's Hill was by far one of our favorite stops! Learning all about food and wine pairings with CJ was a fantastic experience, and we really appreciate the time she spent with us. She's really great at what she does! We can't wait to go back to Judd's Hill and make our own custom bottle, but until then we're really enjoying the wine we get from joining their club membership!Thank you to CJ and Judd's Hill for adding to our perfect anniversary trip. Until next time!

Cj was fabulous 👌 so informative and made is feeling like California was better than Idaho. Enjoyed our visit.

We arrive with no appointment and even so, CJ Friedman received us and she was so patient, answering all our questions.
We heard the others wine educators and I can tell you that CJ is the best host, with an outstanding attitude and taught us very well
We had a great time at this winery, excellent wines!!!
Go there when you visit Napa Valley!!

One of a kind experience!! Loved it. Fun and educational! Will do it again and bring friends next time.

She got to make her own meritage blend...a fun time doing so, learnd loads while doing it, and had a great time with out host. Highly recommended!

Our family celebrated our youngest’s 21st birthday and Thanksgiving together. Judd’s Hill was our favorite wine and Michael was a great host!

If you are looking for a small, scenic, and personal wine tasting experience, with some beautifully crafted delicious wines, this is a great stop.

We had an exceptional time. We would definitely do it again. The staff was friendly and very knowledgable.

We really enjoyed the wine tasting here. I didn’t catch the guy’s name, but he was great - really nice to chat to and to find out how the wines were made. Really nice location, we sat outside overlooking the vineyards; one of our best tastings. It’s also in a great location to walk to a couple of other vineyards that were pretty close by (10-15 minute walk).

This was a last minute add to our trip and so happy we did it. After touring all the wineries it was fun to do something different. We tasted four different wines and then blended them to our taste. In our case it was heavy on the Cab Sauvignon with a little Cab Franc and a touch of Merlot. Of course we had to perfect the blend with several tries! We then made a larger batch pulled from the barrels, bottled, corked and made our own label. Be sure to bring your phone so you can use your pictures as the basis for your label. So much fun and gives you a sense of how the vineyards go about making their wines.

CJ was a wonderful educator, sharing her wisdom about each wine along with food pairing suggestions.

A search for vegan wineries brought us to Judd’s Hill during our honeymoon. Nothing better than sipping wine in the sunshine with views of rolling hills of grape-clad vines and chickens clucking in the garden.

Did the wine blending experience. I fun time and would recommend to anyone. Great time blending and bottling our wine

Just stopping in to buy some wine for a gift and walk around a bit. Staff was very friendly to myself and other guests. Will visit again :)

Was in Napa for the BottleRock music, food, and wine festival over Memorial Day Weekend and did my fair share of tasting in the Napa Valley during the weekend. By far and away our group's favorite tasting was at Judd's Hill thanks of course to the wine but also in large part to CJ Friedman, who is the Wine and Food Educator. CJ took such good care of our group and was such a great hostess that we came back twice during the weekend. I also joined the wine club in large part because I want to spend as much time with CJ as possible. She is so knowledgeable about the wine without being pretentious and she has such a great energy about her. Cannot recommend enough.

Cozy wine tasting experience full of tons of wine history and knowledge. Will recommend there Cab Franc.

Great winery with an excellent back story. This is definitely a must for when traveling to Napa. You won’t be disappointed.

Our visit to the winery was our first time. We thought the wines were very good and the explanations from Rosa were excellent. I had no idea that you produced for so many individual winemakers.
Keep up the good work and give a big shout out to Rosa for us!

Went solely based on site reviews. Winery prefers appointments but were not busy so sat us down. $35 fee nets 5 wines out of of 12+ choices. The staff are friendly, talkative and educating. We learned about the wines, wine in general and the winery itself. Buying two bottles nets the tasting for free. Gorgeous sunny setting. Highly recommended

Stumbled upon this great winery while on family vacation for a few days. Didn't call ahead for a tasting (recommended), but when we arrived we were greeted with amazing hospitality and open arms. Tasted quite a few of their wines and ended up taking a couple of bottles home. Rosa is the tasting room manager and she was the one who greeted us warmly and made sure we had a wonderful experienced. Would definitely recommend stopping by Judd's Hill while in Napa. Great wine and great hospitality!

Judd's winery had a very cozy, family feel. Their wine is wonderful and the vineyard is gorgeous! I highly recommend this winery.

We had a great experience at Judds Hill. The wine was beautifully made, the staff was a joy and the setting is the model of rustic relaxation. The Cab Franc was the standout, but all of the wines were excellent.

What a delightful experience we had tasting excellent wines in our neighborhood!! Rosa took great care of us and provided great history of this small family winery and microcrush facility for many local wine makers.

I liked the small, family personality at this winery. Loved our tasting and felt I learned more there than at other wineries. Highly recommend if you are not looking for glitz and glam

We enjoyed our visit to Judd's Hill quite a bit. It's a smaller family-owned winery. We briefly toured the vinyards then settled in for a delightful tasting experience. Rather than telling us what they were pouring that day, they asked us what we usually drink, then brought out bottles of their wine, white and red, that fit our palates. We had seven or eight different wines and an interesting conversation about wine, Napa Valley, our guide's background, all sorts of things. There was an opportunity to buy but no pressure, and the tasting fee was waived with our order. Highly recommended.
A romantic adventure...
...begins with a visit to Judd's Hill Winery and MicroCrush. My wife and I both enjoyed the atmosphere, vista, weather and hospitality. The wine tasting was relaxing, informative and delicious (we purchased two bottles; one to enhance our hotel experience, and one to take back to Canada). Great experience; great memories.
