Or two guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about the park and history of the surrounding area, they matched each person with the most suitable horse. Great time.

Renee did a fabulous job, great instruction , knowledgeable , felt safe and very prepared for the ride . I would definitely recommend this tour

My instructor Aubrey was awesome. I love her energy and she is very knowledgeable . I did kayaking and Segway. First timer for both and the experience was good. I had an awesome time. Will definitely do both again. Only issue I had is the driving from the main gate to the dock is very long about 5-10minutes drive. But it’s a huge park.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Most all of the campsites are level. Some are FHUs, Lots of fun activities. Our favorite was the horseback riding. Well-mannered horses led along an interesting trail. A very peaceful campground away from the insanity of the Orlando area.

What a great learning experience for beginners and experienced riders, too! Wonderful tour given by two of the staff acting as guides as equestrian experts. Our small group learned about the history of the park, the plants, the wildlife and about horses and horseback riding, of course!

Great llittle adventure with the kids! The staff were professional. Our guide was very sweet, knowledgeable, and engaging. Wonderful way to see the park. I would definitely recommend this to all levels of riders. We will be back!

I took my granddaughter horseback riding for her eighth birthday. We had a great time. The horses are matched perfectly to the riders ability and the wrangler's provide an excellent commentary about the history of the park and sights along the trail. The younger granddaughter can't wait until she turns eight so that she can do this, too. The Florida State Parks are beautifully maintained and a true treasure in this state.

We are from Wisconsin but come to the park whenever we visit the area. Like the hiking trails and views of the lakes. This time we rented canoes on Hammond Lake. The staff was great, both at the entry point and the canoe rentals. We rented for two hours but there is not much to do or see. You have to stay away from the plant life and there is no place to come ashore other than the canoe launch. We paddled around for just over an hour before we ended it. Would suggest they have one hour rentals.
They should also open another lane at the entry point for return visitors with paid passes. We have to wait in line even though we already had a daily pass.

We stayed at the P3 glamping cabins and had a great time. The campsite was clean and the tent was in wonderful condition. We really enjoyed sitting out in the wilderness. The location was close to the bathhouse, which was very clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something to do outside of Orlando. There are tons of trails at the park and we enjoyed our hike.

The Park rangers are well versed in the history of this site as well as the living flora and fauna. The cabins are most comfortable and spacious. Wrap around wide porches afford opportunities for gatherings as well as quiet contemplation of the lakes in a rocking chair. Many recreational choices: kayaks, canoes, segways , horses. If you are not a cabin person, bring your tent or camper...rest rooms are clean and superb. You can even camp with your horse or have an air conditioned tent.

Driving in to Lake Louisa State Park you can already tell it will be a beautiful experience. We camped for 3 nights and went for the Segway tour through the nature trails, (so fun) a slow horseback ride through the woods, and I would also rent a kayak if the weather was warmer. They say the alligators there have a healthy fear of people so they shy away from humans, staff was very nice. There is a maze of trails, several miles and a number system to follow. Some trails are in the sun, and at least a beautiful nature trail by Lake Louisa had all shade. There is a beach area and playground by Lake Louisa as well. Also there are several other lakes, and a dock/ pier at the ones by the campground. I took some beautiful sunset pics by Dixie Lake. Overall the park is very well taken care of. Some of the campsites have quite a bit of sun and a few shady, most have decent privacy. Some traffic noise.
We were not allowed to use our phones for pictures while riding the horses so the guide took some pics that I am still waiting for. I may have to remind them of that. If you go I would suggest to give them your own phone to take a pic of you on the horse as they stopped for pictures at the end.
It will definitely not be the last time we visit this amazing park, it’s one of our top favorites!

This was our third trip back, we love it here so much. If you enjoy long walks, biking, horse back riding, kayaking....this is the place for you. A fully furnished cabin complete with a dishwasher is $120 per night! Who can beat that for a family of four? Adventures by day, camp fire by night. A fun time for all!

When I planned this vacation 6 month ago I never thought it was going to be as enjoyable as it was. My 12 year old son and my 15 year old daughter stayed in our camper trailer for 5 days at the park and what a great experience it became. Love the opportunity of doing horse back riding as well as hiking and bicycle riding. Certainly we will do this again.

I asked my family if they would go celebrate my birthday with a Horseback trail adventure. Full disclosure, I haven’t been on a horse for more than 15 years. We had such a great experience. My 11 year old horse had never ridden a horse and he couldn’t stop talking about on our way back home. The trail is beautiful, the guides are experienced and knowledgeable as well as really nice. The horses are well trained and cared for. Would definitely do again.

I am 65 years old and I've never been on a horse! I was given Pongo who was sweet, calm and gentle. The tour guides covered everything ahead of time, and one was in the front, and one was in the back of the group. They were very professional, and kept the ppl and the horses in line :). I enjoyed every minute of it and would highly recommend for anyone who may still have this on their bucket list. The guides even made sure to snap plenty of pictures for us throughout the tour as well as single pictures after the tour. So much fun. T.

We had a fantastic time riding the beautiful, well cared for horses at Lake Louisa. Our guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. It was a really fun trail ride and a great day with our 17 year old son. I have been on many trail rides around the country and this one had a great vibe and great people running it.

Guides were really helpful and fun! The horses seemed well taken care of and the ride was very enjoyable. We had a great time with our family.

A Perfect Evening on Horseback at Lake Louisa State Park

We had an unforgettable experience on the Family-Friendly Trail Ride & Campfire Delights at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully curated and simply magical.

The horseback ride itself was peaceful and scenic, with well-trained, gentle horses that made the journey enjoyable for everyone in our group. The guides were fantastic — one added fun and energy to the ride, while another shared fascinating insights about the park’s history, plant life, and surrounding landscape, making the experience both entertaining and educational.

After the ride, we gathered around the campfire to enjoy charcuterie, s’mores, and a glass of champagne under the stars. It was the perfect way to unwind — peaceful, cozy, and full of charm.

Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to connect with nature, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and savor a truly special outing.

We did the shore trail about two and a half miles and it was just right for our age. It was just a kind of walk along, but gave us some exercise and was a quiet repast from the traffic and businesses of Orlando proper.

By nfe2021 |

Amazing experience. Knowledgeable guides and well trained horses. Kids had a blast. Can’t wait to do it again.

By Alexeliz TANGO W |

I had an amazing & beautiful time with my horse MARRA & all the human staff: courtney, Rylle & the 3rd one that i dont remember his name! I will return to start ride lessons ! From the beginning, i had funz was my 1st time to ride a horse! Thanks !!!!🐎🐎🐎

My girlfriend and I did the Segway tour yesterday and had a lot of fun. Our guide was great and it was nice it was just the two of us. Neither of us had ever been on a Segway before, (we are both 60), but the instruction was good and it was very easy to learn and get comfortable. The paths are easy to navigate and the lake is pretty. There is not a whole lot to see, but it’s fun just riding around on the segways.

So amazing can't wait to do it again the guides were amazing. The horses were kind and gentle the employees are amazing and extremely friendly and patient.

Great guides and easygoing horses, location is wonderful!
Thanks John and Hillary for making it easy for the first-timer!

By katlaz2023 |

We had such a great time camping. We loved the horse trail ride, the scenery, and the cleanliness of the park. There were also many things to do outside the park. We will definitely be back!

By jacknott n |

Great park, we went horse riding , great guide and well behaved horses . The park was well looked after and had a nice little beach.

By Thanh S |

The site has everything you need for a hassle free camping experience except food. It was a quiet location and the eco tents are far enough away from one another for privacy. We will be back.

By Erin K |

Horseback ride was amazing. Guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Provided historical information about horse breeds and the state park.

Excellent Staff, Campground and amenities. Loved everything about it. Second trip here in the last 12 months. We will definitely be back.

This our family's second year staying at Lake Louisa. We usually come with a group of about 50 friends. Some come with campers, others rent the cabins. Our family stays in the cabins. Last year we got cabin #17, this year we got cabin #6. This cabin has some cosmetic issues. The bathrooms feel like they are sinking in, could be a foundation issue. Possibly due to the Covid situation and being short-staffed, the cabin was not as clean as it was last year. Temps were on the 50's, so we opened the windows, which seemed had no been opened in a while and things were dusty. However, that's nothing 30min cleaning cant fix.

Now the positives, this place is beautiful! The lake view from the cabins, the sunsets, firepits, the trails, the night sky, biking, the horseback riding, and kayaking, all tie in to make it a wonderful experience. Dark skies, if you are into astrophotography. I was able to take great photos of the Pleiades, Andromeda, Orion's nebula. Lots of local stuff to do. Groceries, restaurants, movies, very close driving distance. Disney about 25min away. Overall, we really had a great experience, and plan to book again for next year.

**Note to Management**
Cabins need a little TLC, this place is great and I would hate to see it decline.

We enjoyed the park greatly! Wonderful trails! Rented a kayak at the store and had a great time fishing. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful!

We, a local Girl Scout Troop, just spent an afternoon horseback riding with P3 at Lake Louisa. The staff was very attentive and all were patient with all the girls...and nervous parents. Of particular note were Courtney and Bradley who helped all the riders get set up, mounted, and escorted us on the trail ride. They were both very engaging and helped to make the event a great success. It was the first ever trail ride for my 11 year-old daugther and she loved it and wants to do it again. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

By Jeana P |

It is always nice to visit a state park that is pet friendly and allows for pets to be on the trails. My husband and I - along with our “girls” - enjoyed walking the trails near Dixie Lake. The trials we walked were nice and wide, through trees and in the open, all beautiful scenery. The restrooms in the park were clean. We drove over to the parking lot for Lake Louisa and visited that area. Pets not allowed on the beach here, but that is ok - seems risky for a potential alligator encounter. We didn’t see any but it was surprising to see a playground right on the beach that warns of alligators.

By Jim |

Lake Louise is a Florida State Park in the Orlando Beuna Vista neighborhood area. The state park charges USD 5 for entrance. There are a number of parking lots within the state park, and a good trails for you to stroll around next to Lake Louise.

By Cecil H |

My wife and I were first time riders and we decided to give this trail ride a try due to other reviews. The instructors were very good, and the horses were well mannered. I guess they know the routine by now and only needed to be slowed down to keep proper spacing between the horses. An hour was enough for us and the saddle gets very hard by the end of the ride. It was an easy ride so if you are looking for a very casual, slow trail ride, this is it.

By Marissa M |

Great trail ride today at Lake Louisa State Park! Knowledgeable and fun staff! Beautiful park! Beautiful horses! Thank you!

By Lynne |

Took the 2 hour trail ride and it was wonderful! Tracy and Riley are knowledgeable guides who made the experience fun and exciting! Their emphasis on safety is top notch! The ride itself was one of the best, the trails were nice and peaceful and the horses were responsive. You can tell they are well cared for! Would definitely recommend for the experienced or beginner rider!

Beautiful area with various overnight experiences available. Cabins, eco tents, clamping and sites for campers. We chose glamping and the tent was exactly as pictured. The bed was comfortable and it was spacious. The AC worked well, although it was so hot (90+degrees) it was evening before it was really cool. But that’s to be expected in such hot weather, so it was all good. We were able to enjoy the evening very well. The bathrooms and showers were quite clean and convenient - an excellent amenity. We only spent one night but experienced the Segway tour the next day with Jason, who was really great. He was very knowledgeable and shared his passion for the outdoors. We spent over an hour riding through the property past lakes and through the various eco systems. The butterflies were amazing and we saw several varieties in major quantities. It was a perfect way to end our stay. We recommend the park for anyone who loves camping of any sort, and for those who love outdoor activities such as boating, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing. We would like to return and participate in the horse trail ride.

I spent three nights and four days at this park and stayed in the luxury free glamping tent. It wasn't me Adventurer a new experience in a glamping tent but very hot in the month of June. I would recommend bringing fans because during the day the air conditioner couldn't keep the tent cool enough but at night it was extremely comfortable. The park itself has lots of trails to enjoy and Wildlife and the oak trees were just spectacular. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean with good water pressure and hot water. The staff at the canteen and horseback riding were extremely friendly and welcoming and accommodating. We took a horseback ride which was also very educational. I would highly recommend this park to families and reunions and I would definitely be back to visit. It was just a far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close to amenities if need groceries or supplies.

Went on a trail ride with my cousin. I rode Remi and my cousin rode Gigi. They were great and our guides were fantastic. Ty Tracey, Maddie and Francisco.

Had a great time, guides were professional and knowledgeable. Horses were gentle and easy to ride. The trail was beautiful through serene and lush trails.

This was our first time at this state park. The lakes are quite beautiful and the cabins available seem updated and clean. Cabins are right on the lake… spectacular views!
The park itself is pretty nice. Its the park patrons that day that were rude and obnoxious. Since it was our first time there, we were confused while driving in a parking area. Went the wrong way on a one way area. No big deal, cause it was a wide road. But we had an aggressive and vulgar bicycle rider drive his bike inches from our car. He sat his bike in front of our car. He started screaming obscene and indecent comments. He refused to move so we could turn around. We had to back up and eventually was able to turn around. Only to have him start riding his bike within inches of our car and once again being aggressive and vulgar. At no time did we ever come close to having an accident that involved him. So I’m guessing he’s simply a miserable, rude excuse for a human probably every day.Never did see any “One Way” signs anywhere.
Later we went to the lakefront playground where there were about 30 people with tables and chairs set up right on the lakefront. They had really loud music playing on a radio. We didn’t even want to stay, and we left. Sad that people come to a nature park, only to annoy everyone around them with a speaker blasting loud music.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, we tried the horseback trail ride and it was amazing, would definitely recommend!
Joe and Tracey were awesome!!!

By nferronato |

My friend and I had great time at the guided hike. The staff were great and super knowledgeable about the park. The horses of course were also wonderful and even though I hadn't ridden one in a while they all made it a nice and easy experience.

Great state park in the middle of FL with all the attractions nearby if you are into those. We took a rookie camping couple along over the recent Labor Day weekend and had a great time. Park is clean, well kept, bathrooms were clean and rangers were helpful. It's hard to believe you are as close to civilization as you are when you are at your campsite. Learning they had horseback riding was a bonus and the hour ride in the early morning was perfect. We'll be back again.

By gberg67 |

I love this park. Every time my family comes to Orlando, I steal myself a day and rent a kayak to fish Hammond Lake at Lake Louisa State Park. The folks are super nice and the price is right. There are fishing piers and you can usually get some smaller bass hanging around under the piers or in the lilies alongside, but if you want a lunker (like the one I caught there yesterday) you’ll need to paddle out for them.

By abbiealley5 |

I visit that state park for the first time to go on a 2 hour trail ride and had so much fun! Arden and Francesco were wonderful Wranglers, so helpful, friendly and informative. The horses are all well taken care of and it was a pleasure to ride Penny, what a great horse she is ❤️ the trails are spectacular! If you love horses and nature, I can highly recommend it.

By Maria V |

The horseback riding it was a great experience and in a beautiful park.Great trails.Easy process to do reservation.

By veronicasadler15 |

I honestly do not think I can fully express the amazing experience my family and I shared. I booked this experience through Groupon during Christmas for 4 riders to do a 1 hr trail and it was the most enjoyable day from the moment we arrived with meeting our guides who are all amazing and really made my family and I extremely comfortable to the knowledge they carefully went over with us. They are very passionate with their positions and with the horses which my family and I loved. The whole experience was truly unforgettable and we look forward to returning to do the 2 hour trail!! If I could give more stars it would be 10 :)

By Luna_Lovegood438 |

My husband and I went horseback riding at Lake Louisa yesterday morning for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Our guides, Emma and John, were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the whole experience. Our horses, Penny and Gigi, were l very sweet and no trouble at all for inexperienced riders.

All-in-all the whole experience was smooth and the price felt fair. We are definitely planning to come back again in the near future for the two hour long trail ride!

By Brick S |

Superb! Ash was amazing as a representative, trainer, and, well, host. His demeanor, presentation, information, courtesy, humor, and friendliness was near-immeasurable!

Here's the best summation I can provide: if I still owned a business, I'd hire him without hesitation!

The equipment we rented was top-notch and I thought the pricing very fair. Modern tech and an easy transaction.

We will be back!

By latours66 |

The State Park was absolutely fantastic. We hiked, went kayaking, fishing, horse back riding and the Segway tour. Tracy, the Segway tour guide was a local Floridian and was very knowledgeable with the various trees , plants, animals we experienced on our tour.
I would strongly suggest visiting the park and will return there next year !! 👍🏼👍🏼

By Samantha A |

Beautiful park with lots of fun things to do. Our friend rented a cabin while my husband, doggo, and I stayed in a tent for one night. We stayed in one of the higher numbered camp ground which I liked because they seemed a little more secluded than the lower number camp sites. There are short trails which link the cabins and the camp grounds which was convenient for our purposes. It was a bit stormy the weekend we went so we didn’t get to hike as much as I would have liked. Water, bathrooms, and showers available for campers.

We rented kayaks and explore the lake. Surprisingly didn’t see any turtles or alligators but we did hear bobwhite quails and the view of the lily pads with the cypress trees was gorgeous! Some other critters we saw were a ton of different species of butterflies, an armadillo feeding on the side of the road, and a bobwhite quail momma and her babies.

Next time, I would leave the dog at home and choose the more primitive glamping tents (I want the bed) and go horseback riding and explore more.

By Oceaneyes420 |

Very nice, clean, quiet campsite. I went just to rent a kayak for the day and it was a really nice time. I do have to say beware the ticks as anywhere else as I noticed a couple on my short walk from the car to the ramp. The water was very nice and quiet and the scenery was beautiful. Very affordable as well. Will be back for sure

First thing overcast morning was great, but a little buggy ... later or sunny might get hot ... nothing more to add to this review but they wanted 100 characters

By Rey S |

Great time! Guides were excellent and very friendly! They matched the horses to the rider's ability. Would definitely do it again!

By Suzann K |

The segway tour was Informative and fun. Ash, our guide, was phenomenal in training us how to ride a segway and conducting the tour. Would highly recommend to all

By dsmig |

Park was kept up, very clean, showers had plenty of hot water. The staff and camp hosts were friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

Kids and I just returned from a 2-night stay in one of their Dixie Lake front cabins. The cabins are clean and comfortable and have beautiful views of the lake. They include linens, towels and all you need in the kitchen except paper products, condiments and food. (Beds are quite firm so just an FYI.) There are also rocking chairs, picnic tables, a screened in porch facing the lake and a fire ring outside. The sunset from Cabin 12 is spectacular! We also enjoyed corn hole (rented), kayaking Lake Louisa, walking some trails, making smores and chatting with the friendly general store attendants. Lake Louisa was full of beautiful water lillies blooming! I was pleasantly surprised to see bike rentals, glamping, eco camping and RV options. There is truly something for everyone here! Can't wait to come back with the girls!

By Mary S |

Great park with so much to do. We rented kayaks and enjoyed the peace of the lake. Jason at the rental area was layed back, friendly, and a pleasure to meet. I hope we get back soon. The camping area looks very nice with spacious suites. Maybe next time!

By Linda R |

We love Lake Louisa but our horseback ride was only 38 minutes long. If you pay for an hour, it should be an hour.

By Kim E |

We love Segway tours and found that Lake Louisa State Park was offering a tour that sounded interesting. Jason the park guide who did the tour with us was excellent. We have done Segway riding multiple times in the USA and other countries so he gave us a re-brief on riding and what the trails would be like and then we were off. The pace and scenery were great, a nice ride in a natural setting. Jason was well versed on the flora and fauna of the park and some of the history of the land and how it was acquired for the park. The tour gave us an overview of several areas of the park such as where they have cabins for rent and camping/glamping tents as well. They have a beach area you can drive down to on Lake Louisa and they offer bike, kayak and paddle board rentals. We loved the tour and the park as well.

By Ljubica M |

We had an amazing time with our tour guides especially Josh who was very informative regarding wild life and plants along the trail and make sure we are following all the safety instructions.

By jeffrey85 |

The time slot is 2 hours you need about 30 minutes to get around the whole lake. You aren’t even on Lake Louisa which is much larger. If you are a beginner or with young kids might be fine. Little to no scenery or points of interest. Bottom line don’t waster your money!

By Cheryl G |

This was a wonderful getaway for us, close family and friends. Don’t forget the horseback rides with Sarah Beth and John!

By QueenW |

Went for my second segway tour and introduced my boyfriend to the fun - had a great tour with Jason again. We were able to see so many butterflies, flowers, and even a hawk. Fun way to spend a morning and I am sure we will come back again!

By pmoob1 |

We were looking for a place to go horseback riding with our 8 year old granddaughter. I found horseback riding here and decided to come here. The wranglers were very nice and answered every question and concerns we had. We all had a great time including our granddaughter who had never ridden before. 2 thumbs up for the whole day.

By flighttime01 |

nice calm, collective park to get away and enjoy nature at its finest. Horseback, camping, fishing and more.

By Tanya A |

Our kids gifted us a night of glamping at Louisa State Park. The luxury tent was well appointed with an actual mattress and linens, 2 chairs, a table, luggage rack, coffee maker, and even an air conditioner! We were oh so comfortable! We brought bikes, rented kayaks, took long walks and enjoyed our meals by the fire! The bathrooms were also clean and bright! We highly recommend visiting and staying at Lake Louisa State Park! Gorgeous hills and lakes!!

By Lucía R |

First time camping and it was awesome! Good place to take pictures and breathe fresh air. Lake was great to swim and the eco tent was amazing to sleep

By amyekingaicp |

Excellent visit with my beautiful family. We loved every minute. Thanking you for the encouragement and entire trip

By amir a |

My wife and I were looking for something to do while we were in Orlando visiting the theme parks. We decided to explore options that Florida had to offer besides the theme parks and beaches and decided to give this a try. I am very glad we did!

The horseback riding experience was good, the trails were terrific and the instructors were knowledgeable and provided so much information on the different ecological features and animals in the area. The ride wasn't rushed and the trails were very nice.
The only feedback we have was that the horses were a bit older and didn't seem like they were enjoying it as much as we did.

By crodriguez159 |

If you have the opportunity to stay in one for the glamping tents you totally should! We booked a 1 night stay, horseback riding and kayaking and everything was amazing! The staff is super friendly and I can’t wait to go back again!

By Cathy P |

What a terrific birthday. The horseback riding was phenomenal, as well as the perfect and spacious cabin. We will return

By Blake P |

Gorgeous location for a large group of 6th graders and their families. Always felt safe letting the kids bike and skate around. Very nice walking trails and cabins were spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

By rosiefreco |

Beautiful state park lots to do and see, Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a truly amazing experience and I would highly recommend doing.

By Di E |

Loved the freedom to maneuver and tour guide was most welcoming and informative. Great family outing choice! Thank you!

By psalm341516 |

Very good for fun on the water, paddle boating etc. There are gators so beware. Dont take a small pet like a dog, unless youre willing to take that risk. Some trails here, even for riding. It is RV accessible- so that gets big thumbs up. Its somewhat well maintained, still, unless you have a guide you are on your own.
Interesting to see this state park still going strong despite the urban sprawl & the ever expanding US27 slowly turning into a rather loud mega-highway right next to this park. Friends who went only last weekend told us they needed earplugs unlike 5 years ago when they were their last!

By Sue C |

This State Park probably isn't well known to visitors from abroad, but it's well worth a visit as a break from the hustle and bustle of the Disney Parks.
You can walk, canoe, paddle board and cycle. We hired bikes for a couple of hours and the two rangers at the hire shop could not have been more helpful, friendly and enthusiastic - they even gave us a lift back to the main entrance to save us the three mile walk.
It's a beautiful place - peaceful, calm and very well-run.

By Autumn S |

We had an absolutely amazing time. The owner and employees are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Would love to come back again!

By spartan82 |

Jonathan was great with the lesson for my daughter taking into account her riding level and teaching her some really nice new things! He was attentive and made her feel comfortable as well. We will definitely visit again when we are in Florida!

By John E |

My wife and I recently took an early morning horseback ride at Lake Louisa State Park. After a safety review and some rudimentary instruction by our guides, we mounted our horses for a one hour tour. This was our first horseback ride ever! The ride was very enjoyable. We learned a lot about park history and fauna beside the trail (thank you Courtney!) The experience was well worth the time and money!

By KatieScheer |

The Glamping tent was better than expected! Our family had such a great time and truly loved the park. We can’t wait to go back when it’s a bit warmer so that we can enjoy even more of the outdoor activities.

By Diane L |

Guides were fantastic. Worked well with our grandson who had never ridden before and helped me be at ease since I'm fairly new to horses as well

Guides were patient and very informative throughout the tour.

Would definitely recommend

By Dawn K |

Amazing tour, amazing guide Marc who was really knowledgeable and his love for the park was infectious. I highly recommend this as something different to do in Orlando.

By Crystal S |

My family had a great time horseback riding at Lake Louisa State Park. The horses were well trained and easily followed commands, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the park is beautiful.

By Bobbie Lee |

I met with about 60 people from the Orlando Ski and Travel Club for a fun weekend of Kayaking, hiking, biking, and cookout. The cabins are very comfortable with a full kitchen, living room, and dining area, plus a full bath for both bedrooms. Relaxing on the wraparound screened porch is amazing after a day of sports. For nighttime, the firepit brings lively chatter, along with roasted marshmallows, and smores. Great place to get away!

By bnwaters25 |

The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable about everything! I was nervous but felt very comfortable after being educated and they did an awesome job would love to go back again! Sarah Beth and Traci, Abby were amazing and sweet!

By Yorkshire Man |

If you visiting Orlando or just want to visit somewhere spectacular this has to be one thing to do. this was our second visit and truly breathtaking, vast areas to walk, cycle or drive around. Costs $5 per vehicle, but did make a further donation as I felt that was a little too cheap.

Only reason for 4* instead of 5* is that the restroom facilities could be better maintained visited a few and all lacked toilet paper and limited lighting (especially in those darker evenings).

By Roam812612 |

We had a really great time horse riding at Lake Louisa, Bradley and Hilary were superb tour guides, they made sure everyone felt safe and were very
Knowledgable of the park,
plants and wildlife of the park, and surrounding areas. The horses were all well looked after and lovely natured. Would definitely recommend.

We are a couple in our sixties who recently spent 7 days at Lake Louisa. There were lots of opportunities to do our favorite things: hiking, biking, and kayaking. I also did the trail ride on horseback. Two thumbs up!

I highly recommend the horseback trail ride. The staff was amazing, and they picked out the perfect horse for our granddaughter. It was a lot of fun and made some good memories for our family.

Great place to reconnect with nature just 30 minutes away from the city. Very clean facilities and friendly staff!

Lake Louisa is just lovely. The cabins are fantastic and the guided horseback trail rides are amazing. There is so much to do at this park. Kayaking, swimming, hiking! We love visiting.

Lake Louisa State Park is a gem in Central Florida. Less than an hour from Orlando, the park offers rolling hills with lakes surrounded by cypress trees. A cyclist paradise with miles of paved roads and challenging hills, forested areas for hikers, lakes for kayaking, canoes, and paddle boarding.
The cabins are very comfortable with all the amenities of home with Great Lake views, screened in porches for enjoying the outdoors without the bugs!

I did a Horse Clinic put on by P3 with instructor George Cardoso within Lk Louisa State Park and it was beyond phenomenal! Exceeded my expectations. I brought my own horse and it was a 1 day clinic. By lunch time, I had learned more from George than I learned in a 3 full day class that cost 10 times more. George's knowledge and teaching style is incredible. The P3 staff were so friendly and helpful as well and the wonderful lunch was just icing on the cake. I will not hesitate to take future clinics with George and look forward to doing more clinics put on by P3.

Our trail ride was super! The staff very nice and experienced. The horses were well cared for and groomed. The one hour trail ride included all the fawn and flora Florida offers. Abbie was extremely comfortable with everyone and was our guide.!

Such a perfect park to spend a day! We brought our paddleboards and kayaks and put them in on one of the smaller lakes because it was windy. Dixie Lake and Hammond Lakes have kayak launch areas, and Hammond Lake has kayak and paddleboard rentals. The best beach area is at Lake Louisa, where there is tons of shade and picnic areas. There are several nice long fishing docks throughout the park.
The park also offers primitive/tent camping sites, group camp sites, cabins, RV campsites with full hookups, hammock camping (sounds totally cool), equestrian camping with horse paddocks, and even glamping sites with air conditioning. It is definitely worth a day or weekend visit!

This is the most beautiful place in the world. It’s so peaceful and the views are so breathtaking. I love it out there!!!

By robin c |

We stopped at this park to do some hiking and ended up renting kayaks as well. It was a lovely small, peaceful lake. We didn't see any alligators although we were told they were there. we did see an egret and there were many bird songs . There staff there were terrific, friendly and helpful. There was a small boardwalk going down to a swimming lake and that boardwalk was my favorite place. There were so many birds. We found the map for hiking a bit difficult to figure out but ended up taking a small one that was fine but nothing special.

Loved the kayaking and guided tour! The guide was knowledgeable and thorough. We also hiked on some of the trails. Very enjoyable!

Best horse rides in central florida. Fantastic landscape, horses and guides. Very professional team.

Beautiful place. Great accommodations. Sites were very private. Lots to do here or sit quietly in your site.

By jessicaab70 |

Came for just two nights/three days. Not expect such immaculate campsites and restrooms. Beautiful foliage along with delightful birds singing to wake us in the morning. Decided to book the guided horse ride our last morning. It was the highlight of our whole week (and we previously went to LEGOLAND). We are definitely going to return!

By royce2022 |

We stayed in the cabins during our visit to Orlando and central Florida. Very nice! We could not ask for more. Very peaceful, quiet, and scenic.

Pristine, large area for recreation with a convenient rentals. Took my 10 year-old on a horseback ride from the on-site stable. Many state parks have horse trails, but it can be difficult to coordinate rentals if you don't have your own horses.

Not far from the city , quiet …. And hiking trail are unique, it goes by the number at the cross road, design liked a chess board , so that you can decide which route to take .
Not a lot of shade….
RV park are clean!
Like it !

I hope everyone who sees this reading the reviews takes the time to read this one because I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary experience the woman at this ranch helped create during my recent visit yesterday evening.

Your assistance in orchestrating the most romantic proposal with my fiancée for me was truly unforgettable and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that your ranch is not only a stunning piece of land but also a place where care and attention to detail are paramount. The serene beauty of the surroundings, coupled with the well-being of the horses, showcased your commitment to creating a harmonious environment. The horseback riding experience was truly enhanced by the expertise of your wranglers, whose knowledge and passion for their craft shone through with every step of the journey.

Moreover, the warmth and hospitality extended by you and your team made us feel like part of your family from the very beginning. Your support and guidance throughout the proposal process were invaluable, and having such wonderful witnesses present added an extra layer of joy and meaning to the occasion.

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for the role you played in making this momentous occasion so magical. The memories we made at your ranch will be cherished for a lifetime, and we look forward to returning to relive those special moments in the future.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your exceptional hospitality and for helping to make our engagement truly unforgettable.

Please everyone, come visit for an amazing experience. Friendly for ALL ages!!

For my daughters 12th birthday we took 5 girls of different riding experiences. The team was wonderful - they have a mix of horses with different personalities and abilities -- they carefully matched each rider to the horse that was best suited to them. Made the experience comfortable but also stretched each one of us just slightly to learn something new on our horse. Love that the guides give us history of the land and the plants along the way.

Taking a Segway tour around the lake was such a unique way to see the area. Our guide was absolutely amazing with our group. Very patient, gave great instructions and offered a lot of knowledge about the area.

We stayed at a glamping camp site at the park. We also went horseback riding, fishing and swimming..we bought our paddle boards and had an awesome time. We will be back to rent one of the beautiful cabins. Highly recommend this park, it was awesome

By Nicole L |

The welcome by staff was cheerful and warm and the instructions they gave prior to our kayak rental experience were clear. We then visited Lake Louise beach area and found it clean and the road well marked.

By Linda N |

We love coming to this park! We were only there briefly to bring back memories and ride our bikes. Looking forward to returning and staying in the cabins.

By FrancescaORL |

This was our kids first ride and they both loved it. 9 y/o girl and 10 y/o boy. We spent about 15-20 minutes listening to the instructions and talking with our guides & other guest. We also had a few minutes with the horses. There was a group of 7 people so it took a little more time to get us all saddled but we all enjoyed the ride once it started. Our guides were super friendly. I would suggest going early in the morning as it gets hot. Make sure to wear bug spray, sun screen, and bring your sunglasses... you will need it. What a beautiful park with lots of fresh air.

Had a great time at this park. The campsite had a lake view and the facilities were great. Many activities are available. Enjoyed our 3 day stay,

This place is amazing and well worth a visit. We are here on vacation from the UK and it was one of the best days we had. We did a trek and hired a canoe. Aubrey and all of the staff were so helpful and great with the children. This is a must do day out.

Gaby our P3 guide was amazing. She was very patient with us, explained everything, and made us feel comfortable. The parks history and nature was very informative outstanding knowledge. I suggest that if do this ask for Gaby..

A friendly greeting from the park Ranger and directions to our camp site were greatly appreciated!
We did the glamping and picked an eco tent for our first glamping experience. Location of the tents was great. Portapotty steps from the tent but far enough there were no smells. Parking was close by and wagons were provided to get things to the tent. The tent itself needed some work which became apparent when it started to pour and the wind started blowing. The back walls of the tents weren't properly secured and began flapping in the wind with water coming into the tent soaking the floor rug. While the hanging shelves with plants were so cute during the day they weren't cute when they began swinging and catapulting the potted plants off of them in the middle of the night. The actual inside of the tent was cute, the bed comfortable and clean but the inside rug was really full of dirt when we arrived. As much as we swept the tent out we could still sweep more. A dust pan would have been helpful. The water container didn't work after the first few uses and water would not pump out of it. We had two tents and both had the same problem. The propane cylinder provided to heat water for instant coffee -one of the two was no good since the holes for the propane were clogged with rust. The two grills were ok but very shallow so getting a hot fire that lasted again was a challenge. Next time i'd bring my own propane burners. The firewood was good and the firepit was nice. Overall none of the small negatives had much of an impact other than not sleeping the second night we were there.
The showers were a short bike ride away and were very clean as was the laundry area. The park itself is very pretty. We went kayaking, bike riding and took the two hour horse back ride. The horseback ride was very nice ( a bit slow for us) but we enjoyed learning about all of the plants and details about the park! A+ to the wranglers that took us on the ride. The small store in the campgrounds was somewhat sparse but it didn't matter once you went out of the park there were many stores close by. Overall an excellent value for the cost and a great intro to camping experience!

Marc, our EcoHike Guide, provided a fabulous adventure hike at Lake Louisa State Park. Marc made the hike fun, informative and exciting. My grandchildren and I enjoyed Marc's knowledge of the park's history, wildlife and environment. We also enjoyed the funny jokes.

By Marie D |

Just returned from a 2-night adventure with five friends. All in all, we were happy with our accommodations and the park itself. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the park is quit large with lots of hiking/biking paths. Our cabin, itself, (#6) was very clean, however, it could use some TLC. It's not the best cabin if you want to see the gorgeous sunsets off of Lake Dixie. There is a beautiful tree right in front of the porch which obstructs the view. We did rent kayaks one morning and found the equipment to be "better than most rental equipment" that's out there. However, if you are an avid kayaker, you will be truly disappointed with Lake Hammond. It's basically an over-sized pond. Rental was for 2 hours, and we had already gone around the lake twice at a very, very slow paddle and stopped paddling after an hour and a half. It would be a great place to paddle for beginners or a family with small kids.

By Finmate |

An amazing ride! Marc & Tracey were very personable trail ride leaders. We liked how were able to meet our horses, Penny & Marra, before the ride. They had bios on each horse that was nice to read. The trail ride was very relaxing. Thank you for a memorable mom & daughter outing.

By Marg & Larry |

We did the Segway tour with our friends, all of us seniors. We had a fantastic time. Marc, our instructor and tour guide was patient, funny and knowledgeable of the park’s history, vegetation and animals. It was a fun tour. We would definitely do this again.

By szarolm |

The cabins and lake views are a great escape from the busy day-to-day. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking and the evening campfires.

By Elizabeth S |

What a great surprise. Found them on Google maps. Took my 13 year old granddaughter hose back riding and kayaking. Both outstanding. Arden was very professional, knowledgable, friendly, accommodating and took the time to explain how to just in case! Totally recommend for family, couples or friends

By unisjacquelyn |

This was an amazing experience! We so enjoyed every aspect of this ride. From learning about each horse and their personalities, to the wranglers themselves and then leaning about the wildlife and vegetation in the area and what they are doing to improve it back to its original state. The wranglers were very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend!

We have been visiting Lake Louisa for I believe over 8 years when we spend a month during the winter from Connecticut. It’s the first place we go to and the last as we leave to go home. Very recently I had an opportunity to take a horseback ride with my daughter in law. If you have a chance, I recommend it highly! Our guides were Tracy and Cadence who were wonderful! They were very patient and helpful and knowing they do this so many times a day/week, they treated the experience for us as though it was their first one. It was a very windy day (30 mph gusts) and they kept us and the horses safe and it was such fun! The horses are very gentle and well behaved. Truly go for a ride!

By ronnie r |

That horses were very well behaved and the guides were spectacular, highly recommended experience!!!!

By Sharla P |

My first glamping experience and I will do it all over again. Inspite of the humidity, the tent stayed comfortable through the night.

By heftlee9901 |

Beautiful park with nice amenities and pleasant staff. We glamped in the cabins which are very comfortable and have lovely and spacious porches overlooking a lake. The only downside is the fireplaces are not working and the kitchen is not very well stocked, especially if you are cooking for a group. We rented kayaks and had a nice peaceful paddle on a small lake. The Camp canteen staff were very nice and helpful, as were all camp staff we spoke too. Lots of paths for walking and paved roads for biking. It’s one of many great Florida parks!

By amkest2017 |

Wrangler John is so kind and an amazing instructor. So kind, professional and has made this experience soo special for our niece.

By Ed B |

Very enjoyable ride on scenic trail. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable which was a plus for the experience. I recommend this venue.

By sandra k |

Took a kayak out on Lake Dixie which is part of Lake Louisa State Park. The lake is beautiful and very peaceful as we were the only people using it. Unfortunately the kayaks needed a few repairs as one seat was broken and there was a crack in this kayak, so I dont think they are checked or maintained very often. Apart from this we had a lovely time and then had a picnic on some of the picnic tables provided. A very enjoyable morning.

By Kristi |

First time on a Segway. Very easy to master. The tour was 90% off road trails. The guide (Mark) was very knowledgeable about the park and its features. We would definitely do it again.

By Work 2 Travel Couple |

We love this park, we went to go horseback riding and had an amazing trail ride. Our guides truly make the experience by not being friendly but informative. Understanding that the special day it was they sang happy birthday to our daughter on the trail and snapped some photos.

By atv323 |

Great experience. Tracy and Candace were excellent guides and very helpful for beginner riders. We will definitely come back again.

By David M |

Stunning place.
Cheap 5 dollar entry for a car.
The beach area has a beautiful view and part of it is swamp. As we clearly saw alligators in the water then swimming whilst allowed is probably not a good idea.
We also saw a wild gopher tortoise trying to cross the road. We helped it to safety. A highlight of our entire Florida holiday.
The landscape in the park is completely natural and undisturbed. Surprisingly undulating for Florida. We also saw burn scars from wild fires. It is so refreshing just to see this type of thing being left alone as part of the natural processes of wild nature.
Being July it was extremely hot so any long distance walks were not possible but at cooler times of the year then this place would be perfect for that purpose.
Very quiet with only a few other people going about. It doesn’t seem the tourists are going here yet it’s pretty close (by car) to Disney.
Defo worth a visit.

We had a fabulous day at this state park! This was a good family activity to do during COVID. Sarabeth and Candace were excellent guides. We learned about the horses but also the park and plants and critters that live there too. Highly recommend it!!

By Ken R |

Great night on the water. We had originally signed up for this trip in August but lightning in the area caused us to reschedule for September. This trip was a double-date with friends and we could not have asked for a better experience. Great weather. our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, local wildlife and was happy to answer any questions we had. Defiantly going back for one of their other outdoor offerings.

By MichBe |

Lake Louisa Campground is a great place to stay. The area is well maintained, with clean bathhouses and GORGEOUS views. The trails are great to hike. We saw deer and rabbits daily. If you get a chance to go horseback riding, it is worth the money. The horses are clearly well cared for. The wranglers took the time to match the best combination of rider to horse. Sarah Beth (our wrangler guide) was super knowledgeable of the surrounding ecosystem, so our ride was fun, with beautiful views, and an education! Be sure to stick around to watch the sunset over the lake.

By Leona G |

My daughter and I had a great day trip here. We did the kayaking tour with Ms. Stacey and walked several of the trails. Ms. Stacey was a fantastic tour guide. We loved our pictures. The trails near the lake are quite easy with lots of beautiful trees, small creeks, golfer turtles and other creatures. It’s quite and relaxing. They also have cabins, glamping and more. We will be coming back for the Fall. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary from busy Orlando or Tampa that won’t break your budget, i highly recommend this park. They have several restaurants within a 10 minutes drive. We ate at San Jose Mexican Restaurant. We enjoyed our food.

By rtl53 |

My friend and I took a Segway Tour with Marc as our tour guide for this hour and half tour. He was very knowledgeable of the vegetation along the route and helpful as we learned how to balance and maneuver the Segway. We went Sept. 23, 2022 at 11:30 am. I would recommend doing this trip anytime from October to May. It’s just too hot any other time. Also, the park needs to put a few benches under the trees at the halfway point of tour so that the Segway riders can sit down to rest because the riders legs/feet aren’t used to standing/maneuvering a Segway. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it.

By Beth E |

Had an amazing trek with both Maddie and Rylee, they were very friendly and informative. It was my first time riding, they explained everything to me and made my experience super chilled and relaxed. I would highly recommend this activity! When i visit Florida again i’ll be sure to come back! thankyou so much Maddie and Rylee for such an amazing day!

We had a wonderful week at Lake Louisa. We went fishing, horseback riding, did the segway tour as well. We loved how clean the facilities are as well. Definitely going back as soon as we can get in.

By Amanda A |

Do not book a stay with the glamping team at Lake Louisa. They are unresponsive and forced my fiancé and I to attend their glamping site while we had Covid. They were unhelpful in communications with me. One e-mail took them 10 days to respond back to me. The tent we arrived at had mildew all on top of the canvas. This caused us some difficulty in breathing. No shade at all. I explained my negative experience to Arden who did not express any empathy and did not apology once. Will never stay here and will never recommend anyone I know to come here.

By Stacy L |

We did the Hammond Lake Kayak Tour with Alex. We LOVED it!
It was our first time using our kayak and the tour went smooth and peaceful. Alex had a lot of information regarding the lake and wildlife. We got to see the water lilies bloom in the morning. I would do the tour again.

March 2024 Horse Clinic on Trail Safety. Amazing day, trainer Gerorge Cardoso (retired mounted police officer) is just incredible. On the horses all day and learned so much. Did things on horseback that I had no idea I would ever try. Will attend any clinic that he instructs!!

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to take horseback riding lessons in this beautiful park with the wonderful crew at P3. Abbie is a skilled and patient instructor and I love working with her. I have also taken a couple of the trail rides and very much enjoyed them. Abbie, Sarabeth and Candace are awesome guides. I highly recommend either, or both, of these experiences at the park.

This was a great place to ride. The scenery is diversified with plenty to see. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had Tracy as a trail guide and she kept us entertained with her knowledge of the area and the trees and plants and with her corny jokes! The horses are well taken care of and we will definitely be back!

My wife and I booked a Trail Ride for a relaxing day away from the theme parks. We are so glad we did as we had a fantastic time with our guides Abbie and Candace who made it a really enjoyable afternoon. Neither of us have much riding experience, but the horses we had were so easy going and made for a very relaxing ride through the park. We definitely would recommend this even if you have never ridden before. Will definitely be back next time we are in Florida

I enjoyed my visit to Louisa State Park, it was inexpensive to get into the park, and I thought the horse riding I did was fantastic. I enjoyed learning about the park, and truly enjoyed the experience overall. Wish I had someone with me to share the experience with, so if that changes, I'll likely be back again. Brock Fr: New Hampshire

The modern cabin was clean with a screened porch that was lovely especially in the evenings. The well-equipped kitchen allowed for cooking inside but if you prefer, the fire ring outside is always a great option. The central air & heat are there if you prefer not to open all the doors & windows to bring the outside in. The views at the lakes are gorgeous especially at sunset and there is plenty to do. The horseback trail ride, hiking and bike trails are just some of the options to take advantage of when you visit beautiful Lake Louisa State Park. It is a true gem of North Central Florida.

By pnaomih |

My friends and I had a great time enjoying nature, horses and very nice staff! We will definitely be back!

By kbmarsh77 |

We did not kaya on Lake Louisa. It was a small lake in the vicinity. It was quite disappointing as there were no nooks and crannies, turtles, and other wildlife to explore, just water and lily pads for $70 a piece.

Fun trip. Great team. Personable, experienced, and friendly. Nice and relaxing ride through the park.

By Claudia W |

Beware of the horseback riding cancelation fees!! I bought a Groupon for three for $59. and booked a reservation the day before using it with my grandkids. Later that same day I found out their flight home was changed (by the airline) and I had to cancel or ride. The was no phone number to call for cancelations, only “reservations” number. Despite multiple calls to the reservation line that afternoon, evening and into the next morning, I did not receive a return phone call from “reservations”! I finally contacted the Rangers Station about a half hour before our scheduled ride and spoke with the Louisa State Park ranger who e-mailed the “owner” of our need to cancel the ride. I was then charged $75. + $5. tax as a “no show”!!😡

By renee m |

Nothing short of spectacular! Awesome bike trails, lots of beautiful scenery, campsites are very nice and spread out, restrooms and showers great, and so quiet! We took the one hour trail ride and it was lovely. Only walking on the trail, so if you looking to trot or canter the horse, you may want to take a lesson. We will be back!

By Kayruu |

My family and I went horseback riding. It was both of my sons’ first time experience riding horses. They had a blast, especially my youngest son the birthday boy! The guides were very nice, explained the safety instructions clearly, and was accommodating with the picture taking. We definitely recommend this adventure and will come here again!

By Catalina A |

While the park is beautiful, the park rangers here are the worst I have ever encountered amongst a multitude of national and state parks we've visited across the country (as a national park annual pass holder). In fact, I have ONLY had bad park experiences at Lake Louisa due to the rangers. I have never been to this park without being harassed by a ranger for photography (every time we have the passes, documentation proving we have the right to be where we are.) I understand managing the park to preserve nature and safety - but the rangers here are ridiculously petty to the point it's no longer enjoyable to go anymore. I don't know why they find such pleasure in harrassing guests. Perhaps they truly are so bored and have nothing else they can possibly do during their shift.

Edited to add I am not a photographer. I was a guest of the park.

By Robertl12022 |

Many trails to explore on the park. There is a beach on the park which is small but for the crowd size is not bad, the park itself is vast and beautiful and there are many activities to do.

By dmcorkum |

It was a wonderful experience. Our trail guides Tracy and Francisco were very friendly and informative! We would definitely go horseback riding another time!

By Chel |

The luxury care-free camping was an incredible experience, from the smooth check-in/check-out process to the amenities to the beauty of the park itself. We chose to try this out particularly because it is a pet-friendly option and we are not “camping people” per se. The bed was very comfortable and even for being a true outdoors experience, we didn’t have any unwelcome creepy-crawlies. The bathrooms in the campsite area are extremely well-kept and showers get hot and have great water pressure. We saw red-tailed hawks, a kestrel, fox squirrels, a gator, lots of butterflies, and even a paw paw while hiking! Wish we could’ve stayed longer and can’t wait to go back.

By ScottR1 |

Nice gem! We got away from Orlando and relaxed. This is a great place to unwind and see some of what Florida is really like. Lakes, swamps, & nature. We didn’t see any gators but they are there, warning signs are posted. Pack a lunch and go enjoy nature!

Went horseback at the park. And loves interactions i had with employees and horses are well taken care of. During my ride my horse(her name was Star) was the last in line and i was riding in the back but i loved every bit of it because the employee (I forgot her name sorry) was telling me everything about the park and the nature surrounding the area. Can’t wait to book 2hr ride

The park is so serene and the Rangers are super friendly.
There is so much to do for a Three days outing from kayaking to Horseback rides.
Absolutely loved it with my family.
All the amenities are few minutes drive incase you need any supplies.
For those interested in glamping. This is a perfect place to do it.

After doing the 2hour horse ride , both myself and granddaughter had a great time . I would definitely recommend it to anyone, the staff are very friendly and professional, we will definitely be doing it again. The horses look in great condition and well looked after . If you like horse riding this is a must do . No better way to spend a couple of hours in the fabulous Florida countryside.

What a great experience being on Segway's around the Lake Louisa State Park. After a quick tutorial on how to use the Segway we were off and running. These all terrain Segway's were super easy to use and control. They were a great way to see a large area without being too hot and bothered by the end of it. Our tour guide was very pleasant and filled us in on all the nature that we saw along the way. Would highly recommend this tour.

This is a wonderful beautiful state park, the people there are the most polite and helpful. We live 1.5 hours away and is the most liked park around our area. This was our 2nd visit and we stayed for 2 nights in one of their rental cabins, excellent stay!!! Rode horses and bicycles and walked many of their hiking trails, saw different species of animals on the trails. We highly recommend visiting this great park.

Our Life Group took a week retreat in this lovely state park. We had several cabins and three camp sites for our time there. The cabins are great!! 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a good size kitchen with all the necessary items. Our group took hikes, some rode horses, and others just enjoyed the great weather on the front porch of the cabins. There are other activities offered, i.e. segway tours, kayaking, fishing. Our group plans to do it again next spring.

I brought this thru Groupon & booked it via telephone. It was a birthday gift for my daughter as she’s never risen a horse. The instructor (misty) was pleasant and supportive while riding. I’d definitely do it again for a longer period of time

Great horse back ride to see the nature
Truly dedicated trainers
Well trained horses . Being a first time horse rider
Amazing to see the bonding of horses

Don’t go in the summer it is hot. The ac unit is small and from 7am to 6pm it’s hot and you won’t be in that tent. Also if you have allergies to musty smell in the tent don’t go you won’t be able to sleep. Just telling you by my experience there over the weekend. We booked three nights and stayed only 2 of them. Also beware of mice they visit at night. We had one coming and going at night.

We had a great time on the trail ride! Easy for just the casual rider and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed learning about the land and native plants and animals.

By Alli282 |

Tracey and Joe were experienced guides with historical knowledge of the area, a great sense of humor, and always made everyone feel safe and comfortable riding their matched up horses.

By Christopher B |

Aubrie was an awesome guide, and she had us out on the lake in no time! So much fun!!! It was so beautiful!

By Jill G |

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lake was gorgeous and had great views. I definitely recommend and will come back.

By Zenovia L |

Lovely experience calm patient guides and horses. This was my families first time ever going horse back riding. My youngest it’s 8 and she was leading the group! She was safe and confident as clear instructions were given before mounting the horses. Another family ran a little late and we all patiently waited it was a very nice group. Each horse had its own personality and we were able to interact with all of them before and after the ride. The trail was beautiful. All in all highly recommend this place if you are a beginner or expert!

We came for horseback riding. There are a lot of bikers within the park. The staff at the gate was nice and informative. The park is quite big.

By Brendan B |

Had a great day kayaking yesterday on the lake.
Staff at the entrance and also at the kayak rental station were excellent and very knowledgeable.
It was safe all the time and easy for a 67-year-old to launch kayak and pull it out of the water as well.
It was Tuesday at 10.30am and I was the only person on the water during my 90 minutes.
Easy to get to off Rte. 27 and only 30 minutes from Orlando.
Highly recommend the Park and its excellent staff.
There are also great walking trails, biking, horse riding, and glamping available in the park.

By Omar M |

Extremely satisfying experience. Mark was very knowledgeable on touring the park and identifying the different kind of wildlife and also funny. He was very helpful in training us on how to navigate using the swag car.
We will likely go back for staying at the cabins in the future.

By Passport00851823382 |

Tina was excellent! She was a great teacher for the Segway and covered a lot of history of the park. She knew the names of the plants and trees. She was also able to explain the benefits of them.

I live right down the street from this park and love it. There's tons of activities like horseback riding and kayaking. Or you can just take a walk on the many paths and enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine. This is a great alternative to the theme parks while visiting Disney and worth the small trip to get there.

By Mary |

Beautiful little park but be CAREFUL. There are alligators. There were two sunning themselves on the beach.

By Tburd92 |

My boyfriend and I went riding with Tracy and Hillary on a weekend day when there was rain forecasted. It ended up we were the only two in our group. I rode Remington (Remi), a retired ranch quarter horse gelding and Sam rode GiGi, a beautiful draft mare. Both horses clearly knew their role and were gentle and mellow. The grounds are beautiful and hold real historic significance, which our guides shared with us along the ride. We saw tons of beautiful native fauna and flora and even some migratory species like the pileated wood pecker! Tracy’s “dad jokes” made the ride that much more fun and relaxed. I highly suggest checking this out, it’s easily worth the money and an overall fun and relaxing experience.

We spent five days and four nights staying in the cabins. The cabins are excellently built, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff support was fast and efficient in the two occasions that we called for assistance. The horseback riding experience was fun, informative and well prepared. Our guides, Abbie & Candace, were professional, fun and knowledgeable about the horses, park flora and animals. All questions were answered. The park facilities are well kept and properly labled. It was a fun and relaxing experience that we will repeat in the future.

What an amazing place tysm for taking us on your tour Tracy and Riley were amazing I felt safe it was a great time. Me and my family will be back

By Leslieonthego |

A beautiful park with lots of activities. Before you go however beware : the on line map and the map at the park are deceiving. They show the campground with a view of the lake… not so!! No lake views here!! I am totally upset and there were no other sites to move to… the shade is minimal so be prepared to boiled in full Sun in your camp spot. Some sites to have shade but not many. I realize there are good quantities to this park.. nice bath houses, close to everything, close to the mouse house, and after all this is Fl so no full hook up’s.. guided Segway, tours, guided, kayaking, tours, hiking trail tours, bicycle rentals, it’s all here…

By Chris M |

Me and my wife went to the park to go on a guided hore back trail ride.
It was our first time on a horse, our guides Jon, Tracy and George were very helpful and knowledgeable, welcoming questions etc. Was an excellent experience. 5*

By Gayle B |

Th One experience that I do with my grandchildren, and we just did the one hour which was plenty very enjoyable very relaxing the staff in front of us and behind us very knowledgeable of the terrain and also the horses and very pleasant personalities it was definitely worth the price we paid

By Alan S |

Excellent experience. The staff were very friendly and extremely professional. The Horses were well trained and also friendly. Highly recommended experience for all sages, family's, friends or groups.

By albalynn |

Had a great time on the equestrian trail ride! Our guides Misty and John were both knowledgeable and helpful to us all. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful, being out in nature, experiencing it all from horseback, makes for an unforgettable experience and lasting memory. I will be back to take photos and experience more adventures, in this beautiful park and preserve.

By ginagabriella1990 |

Very beautiful park, friendly staff, and overall very fun time, the park is also very clean so that is always a plus!

By anag8081842 |

The Park is very well maintained. The Staff is friendly and helpful!! We enjoyed the all activities on site.
Our GlampTent was very clean and comfortable. The only recommendation for a better experience is for the AC units to be changed to a newer unit - The Location of Glamptent do not have shade and the AC was broken - We paid extra FOr the Luxury AC comfort and did not enjoy the full comforts since our AC was broken and the staff dismissed our complain or inquiry on how find a resolution

I went on a two hour trail ride. It was fabulous. The horses were well cared for and well behaved. The wranglers gave great history and nature info during the ride. It was a great ride.

Had a blast doing the segway tour. Was our 1st time on segways, & these were all-terrain! Our guide Rene was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable using the segways even though it was our 1st time

By Teakwo23 |

Fantastic park with lots of amenities. Did the clamping tent. It had heat, ac, a full bed and coffee maker. Bathroom and showers were close by as well as fishing piers.

By Soo M |

I had a super time - horses were great , the guides were very friendly , the park is beautiful - I will be coming again. I was by myself and that was not a problem - or you could be part of a group - I am looking forward to the sunset ride later in the year too .

We came here to go horseback riding for ny 9 year old daughter for her first trail ride, and I tell you we had an incredible time!!!!! The ladies that work here are super nice and so fun!! They really made it fun for my daughter! The trail ride was absolutely beautiful and the horses were so sweet. We will definitely be doing this again and coming back for the 2 hour trail ride!!! What an amazing day!!!

By tammy s |

Horseback riding with Sarabeth and Candace was awesome. It is rare that staff can combine safety with allowing you to have such a beautiful experience. These ladies know their stuff and will give you exceptional care!

By Jessica S |

Lake Louisa is an excellent location for beautiful hills and wildlife. The cabins are spacious, well-equipped, and have beautiful views. I would have liked to see access from the porch to the backyard and from the backyard straight down to the water or even nearby water access (for fishing). The bathrooms at the beach are permanently closed, and the swimming is not for the faint of heart. There are plenty of picnic tables, barbecue grills, and trash cans. The segway tour was nice, and I bet the horseback riding would have been too (out of my budget). We roller-skated, but biking would have been amazing too.

By UCF_Shipper |

This was my third trip here, but the first time horseback riding for my youngest niece. As always, the staff was so welcoming and did everything to make the experience great. It was a very hot day, so we kept to the shadiest trails. Staff knowledge of the park was great. The kids felt taken care of and they are ready to return on a cooler day. 🙂

By Ttinkerbelle85 |

We had a wonderful long weekend staying in the cabins. It was a beautiful location. The cabins feel more old than rustic, but they were nice overall. We would definitely go back!

By myrive71 |

My husband and I have gone several time kayaking and we brought our two sons and we love it. The park itself if quiet, clean and sometimes you see wildlife. Definitely recommend if you want to go kayaking and horse back riding which was great as well.

By SnowbirdFLVT |

I took the one hour trail ride and it was great! Horses are well kept, clean, well fed and have good manners. Their feet are properly trimmed and the tack fits. They have a shady barn to rest in while waiting to go out. If you are a “horse person” you know how important these things are for the comfort of the horse. You can ride here, enjoy the scenery, and meet new friends. The staff are excellent - good with all levels of experience. I plan to go again soon.

By Trudy C |

As the owner of a horse boarding stable, I could tell that the horses are in very good condition and are taken good care of by knowledgeable staff. The guides are kind, conscientious and informative about how to treat the horse properly and about the park itself. Well worth the time and money.

By soozii2022 |

Excellent staff, enjoyed it so much we’ve booked another date! Trail ride is beautiful, guides share a lot of information about the land, wildlife and plants along the trail ride

By Andres72423 |

We have visited the area several times over the year and have always wanted to visit this place. I am glad we actually stopped in. The Park is very large and lends itself to various options. You can visit Lake Luisa beach and go for a swim. You can also go for a nature hike at various trails they have marked off. If you want to camp out, they have this option as well. If you are a RV owner, they also have grounds for you to be able to stay at. In addition if you want to rent a bike or kayak you can also do this as well. I can’t wait to go back and bring my bike to go for a ride. By the way, also look out for wildlife, we saw several turtles while we were there.

HORSE RIDING
1-5-23
To whom it may concern ,
I would like to extend my concerns.
My name is Tania.
I attended the 330 trail ride with my mother in law Vanira January 5. She was visiting from
Brazil.
I am completely disheartened at the experience we had. We were only able to experience getting on the horse.
Immediately we got off the horse. We never attended the trail ride.
I am very disappointed in how my mother in law was treated and made felt.
I work in the health field I am a physical therapist in a Miami hospital and I can only express the importance of treating all individuals with respect and decency.
I did not appreciate the impatience and
Disregard for my mother in law that Tracey expressed. Initially we were very excited for the ride.
Please be advised I would like my money back. This experience for her and myself is one I would never recommend. In addition ,
I witnessed the disregard Tracey demonstrated to my father in law Wilson when he feel fell off the horse. She never extended a hand to help him up.
I was in disbelief.
I was born and raised in Miami. I have never seen this kind of treatment. When I saw it on the video I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience if you have any questions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Horse riding

By Luis R |

Nice smooth evening, different from the common things to do on a Friday evening. Horses are well kept, trim and compliance.
Staff is very friendly and courteous. Out of our arrangement but other riders were friendly and nice evening conversation while seeping on Champaign and some savory charcuterie.

By Tour39925977719 |

Rene was a great guide and very helpful with getting the hang of the Segway. My friend enjoyed the tour and our guide was very knowledgable about the area and vegetation. I wish there was more wildlife to see but otherwise the trip was fun and learning to use the Segway was awesome.

By EdMystery |

Wonderful campsites. Horseback riding within walking distance of campsite was a great bonus. Beautiful area.

By jrarend |

Nice to have a State Park so close to Orlando area. Cabins were decent, beds could be better! Did not get to see a lot of the park. Would like to have had more tree cover and less US 27 highway noise.

By Mari |

My husband gifted me this on my 54th birthday. I had the most amazing time, my horse Reba had a sense of humor. The trail guides, Tracey & Candace were superb! They even sang Happy birthday to me on the trail. Thanks for making my day extra special! 💜

By jaccettullo |

We went on a 1-hour horseback ride on Thanksgiving day with the entire family and we all had a great time.

By Melinda |

The people who run the horse rides were all so friendly and nice and patient with those of us who don’t know much about riding horses. It was a great experience.

By Stephen B |

Had a couple of horse rides on Cornbread and Whisky, was great and many thanks to Joe/Joy and Emma. Great fun

By Mark H |

The Park is amazing! Beautiful scenery, easily accessible, and friendly Park Ranger staff. We enjoyed the Horseback Riding TrIl experience. McKayla and John were excellent guides and we enjoyed our rides on Gigi, Monti, and Nellie.
Outside of that there are great campsites. Fishing piers, and miles of hiking trails and cycling roads.
A gorgeous place to get a taste of natural Florida! You won’t be disappointed!

By swollf114 |

We took a the 50-minute trail ride, it was a very nice easy ride for two people in our party who had never been on a horse before. It would have been great to have photos of the experience but we were not permitted to use our own phones and the photos that they took of us were obviously from a very old phone and very pixelated. We could not tell it was us on the horse. I sent a request to email the photos but it went unanswered. Definitely go on the trail ride, but do not expect photos.

By Roving48067825699 |

The guide was amazing. Great to learn the history and the nature in the area. Many amazing views of the park. It was our first time on a Segway. The training at the beginning was excellent.

By Suzanne B |

My 10 year old granddaughter and I went on the horseback ride for her Christmas adventure present and we loved it! She had little experience, but we felt very comfortable with our horses and with the instructions and friendly guides. We arrived a little earlier than the suggested time, which helped because then we could check out the horses and surroundings. We saw two groups of deer and a variety of birds while on the trail and the weather was perfect. And a guide took some great pictures and a video to capture our memories.

We stayed 2 nights at Lake Louisa State Park and have nothing but compliments for this place and the staff. We spent 1 night in the Luxury Tent and 1 night in the Eco Tent and thoroughly enjoyed them both.
1st let's talk about the Shower/Restroom at the park. It's top notch, it's clean and well maintained. They do a super job with the cleanliness and the effort shows.
The Luxury Tent (#2) was very close to the restrooms, has an excellent sleeping setup and power with air/heat, phone charger outlets and an electric coffee maker.
The Eco Tent (#3) was more of a 'true' camping experience. The area is less populated than the Luxury tent area and less light at night. The restroom is a port-a-potty that is shared with 1 other tent. It too was very clean. The sleeping setup is well-done, the tents are heavy duty and there is 3 gallons of water and a propane burner with a coffee pot. There is no power (all lights are solar powered) and it's only a 2-minute drive to the showers.
We took our electric bikes and enjoyed riding in the park and checking out the different lakes.
-The only thing I would change would be-...
The remote that operates the outside tent lights for Eco #3 - also operates all the other ECO tent's outdoor lights - while standing at tent #3. I would change that. And who knows, that be resolved at the time of the reading of this review.

Exceeded our expectations! The guide Tina was brilliant; very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. We were delighted that a Barred Owl came along to give us a show and posed for several photos! A most memorable day and will certainly be back and will recommend this trip to all our friends. Also, the segways were easy to use and we were (almost) pros after the first few minutes. Thank you

My boyfriend and I went kayaking on Memorial Day to celebrate our one-year anniversary. I've always wanted to learn how to kayak, so we chose the Paddle & Kayak Lesson to start. We decided on a 9:00 - 9:30 AM slot, to do our best to beat the heat and avoid the Memorial Day weekend crowds. We were surprised to find out the park entrance fee of $5 was waived due to it being Memorial Day, which was nice.

When we got there, we met our guide and instructor, Michelle. She brought us to the Camper Canteen to try on our lifejackets and we went to the restroom before beginning. When we returned, Michelle already had the kayaks ready to go in the water.

She was fantastic! Kind, helpful, patient, and very laid-back. We enjoyed our time with her. I highly recommend her, and I would book her again. She even knows how to paddle-board! I believe she teaches that too! She told us all about the Night Kayak: Full Moon Paddle, and we're looking forward to possibly doing that too. She even offered to take some pictures of us - very kind of her! Also, incredibly brave for both Michelle and my boyfriend to have their phones on them.

She helped us in our kayaks and gave us a push. She went over paddling, and I gotta say... we did well! We had so much fun out on the water. When the breeze came in, I took advantage and I rode the flow! Made my kayak go so fast.

We were able to learn some cool things. I learned about alligators and their mating season. Did you know that alligators will court in April, mate in May, and then lay their eggs in June? Thanks, Michelle!

Once you practice the paddling enough, it becomes natural and automatic.

I'd say the most challenging parts were getting in the kayak and then getting out. Be mindful of keeping balance and making slow and steady moves.

We did not see any animals out in the water, but we loved the endless lily pads and water lilies. When you paddle over and through the lily pads, you will find it is a little tough because your paddle is meeting with some resistance. Just be patient with yourself.

FYI #1: Wear clothes and sandals that you are okay with getting wet. You will get wet!

FYI #2: Keep your electronics away and in a closed Ziplock bag. Drink plenty of water before and put on lots of sunscreen and bug spray before you get in your kayak boat. This will be a lot easier to do and deal with before you're kayaking and on the water.

FYI #3: Sunglasses and hats are your best friends. Honestly, just pack some frozen water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Trust me!

This was such a great experience. I booked the guided horseback tour for both my partner and I as a birthday gift for my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. From the time of booking to the day the tour started everyone who helped made it great was beyond impeccable. The trainers and tour guides were very friendly, professional and ultimately made this whole experience very personal and if I could give them 100 stars out of 100 I definitely would. I definitely plan to return and joint their member program as the park itself is so tranquil and great way to take a break from the real world.
Thanks again for everything and we look forward to returning. Thanks, Jordan

Staff and equipment were excellent. Had a blast....just wish we saw more animals and birds and a crocodile but the fish were definitely jumping!

By Amelie S |

It was not worth the money. 1 hour was only 45 minutes, riding with absolutely old and lazy horses a flat trail to look at 3 trees. Never again! The staff was friendly, so two stars.

Went for a horseback ride with the family and had a great time. The guides were fantastic. They told us about the property and the plants. The horses were well behaved and well cared for. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible experience! Never got to ride and they refused to give our money back. We told them mjnutes after booking that we realized my sister wouldnt be able to ride because of recent surgery after second thoughts. They absolutely could care less!! Terrible customer service in my opinion- we are out $240 for them not doing anything!!! I do not recommend!!

By NIGEL S |

After an initial try out / practice on the Segways we followed our guides (Tracy and Rebecca) for some 'off roading' around two of the smaller lakes in park.
We stopped at several spots to learn about the history and flora / fauna in the park.
An interesting tour for those who want to have a day away from the main theme parks who also enjoy nature.

By Getaway04937341988 |

Marc did a great job getting us used to riding the Segway and made the ride entertaining and educational. We covered a lot of ground that would have taken hours to walk. Everyone in the group was over 60.

By thomtrib |

Cabins were great! Horseback riding was fun.
A John boat or canoes would be nice, rather than only kayaks.

By michellemenezes40 |

I went with my family to Lake Louisa and we stayed for 3 nights.
What a beautiful place surrounded by nature and super clean.
The only negative thing that happened was the horseback ride.
I paid $160 for 2 people and because my mother doesn't speak English Tracie the lady who is responsible had no patience and treated us badly.
We gave up because we didn't feel welcome, we sent an email reporting what happened and never received any response or money back.
Overall we will be back because the cabins and the park are really beautiful.

My daughter and I went kayaking. The lake was beautiful we saw alligators and tutrles basking in the sun. We also saw a large blue heron and even a bunny. The water was clean and beautiful. The restroom and camping facilities were very clean. This is a great place to visit for a day or stay for the week that offers many outdoor activites. Lake Louisa State Park is also centrally located to the Disney and Universal attractions, with a natural countryside feeling. Enjoy your stay!

Awesome time. Our guide gave adequate instruction on the use of the kayaks wish was most beneficial for my younger grandchildren. 9 and 10. He was so patient and gave them so much encouragement so they totally enjoyed the time on the water. He was very knowledgeable about the area and it was a great time. Will do again when I am in the area.

This was an amazing adventure! My nephew (14) and I went on the tour and had never been on Segways before. The instructor did a great job teaching us to use the Segway and we felt comfortable before starting. Tina did a wonderful job guiding us on the tour and shared some great facts and history about the park as we rode. We would 100% do this again! A must-do when visiting Lake Louisa State Park!

What a wonderful experience, from the easy booking system to the actual ride. Misty, John and Ardith were so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was a little nervous, but Misty knew how to put me at ease, they also picked the horse that would be best suited for each of us.

This is a great trail ride for beginners and experienced riders, they have 1- and 2-hour rides. Whilst on the ride, my daughter said “can we do this again’ we will surely be visiting again and doing the 2-hour ride next time. If you’re looking for something to do around central Florida, make sure you check this place out, it’s only 40 mins from downtown Orlando.

Can’t say enough about this park. Quick drive off 27 and feels like a different world.

Such a wonderful adventure! Had a Women Veterans Retreat and we went horseback riding and took the Segway tour while staying in the amazing and wonderful cabins. Being in nature and focusing on nothing but me was just what this girl needed!! Thank you Lake Louisa State Park for the amazing tours, wonderful view and all together experience.

My husband and I stayed at the luxury carefree campsite for our anniversary. The park itself is beautiful, it's like a hidden paradise, with many breath taking views. The campsite was just perfect for our 2 night stay. The tent is spacious and very nicely decorated. The added amenities were nice, like the coffee station which included sugars, creamers and insulated coffee cups. Also, the little hand held broom was very much needed and appreciated. Imust also mention the room stayed fairly cool especially at night, I was pleasantly surprised. All-in-all I would definitely recommended glamping here, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

By Richard F |

We stayed in one of the cabins at Lake Louisa State Park. We were thoroughly impressed with the accommodations given the price point. Plenty of space, clean, full functioning kitchen, and that screened in porch with the rockers!! What a view!! Look, this is not a 5 star resort. It is however very well up kept and cozy. Plenty of activities to do at the park (kayak, canoeing, hiking, swimming in the big lake, horseback riding). We did a 2 hour trail ride with P3 that was a nice experience. The guides were informative and helpful. The horses were on point and all in our group had a great experience. This is a nice spot to use as a base of operations if you want to venture into the craziness of the theme parks while being able to unwind with a little peace and quiet. Also there is a Publix and Walmart right down the road - couple that with the fully functioning kitchen and you won't have to pay an arm and a leg to eat out. Plan a trip wisely here and you can save a ton of money vs staying on resort. Get outside, enjoy mother nature, and give back to the Florida State Park system that does such a great job.

Lake Louisa Park is a beautiful Florida park. I love the horseback trail rides there. The guides are awesome and it is a nice ride through trails in the park. I am also taking riding lessons there which has been an amazing experience. I definitely recommend this if you like to ride or have never ridden. There’s something for everyone.

We had a great time last weekend biking around the park on the roads. We have ebikes so stayed to the paved roads. The park is beautiful. We got out at some points and looked around. Got to see a Gator! Beautiful spot we will return to.

Campground was very clean! Bath houses were amazing. A lot of the camp sites lack shade, but all the sites are level, very well maintained, and easily accessed for all sizes. Limited access to the two smaller lakes in the campground area. Fishing docks is your only access other than the canoe launch next to the dock. Swamp areas surrounds the lakes.

The horses and trail guides were top notch! They treated everyone with respect and picked great horses for the experience levels.

We’ve visited Lake Louisa twice before whilst on vacation in florida, a favourite place for a day out.
We’ve kayaked previously, but today went on a guided Segway tour which was fabulous. Our guide Marc was knowledgable and entertaining, the scenery was beautiful. Well worth a trip to see natural florida. Will definitely be back

We took our two tweens glamping. There was plenty of room at the foot of the bed for an inflatable queen size mattress. We even brought our dog. All the bedding was white, clean, and soft. Honestly more comfortable than some hotels we have stayed in. The ac was more effective than I expected and it really was comfortable. The bathrooms were also well kept and a short walk away. Other campers were respectful of the quiet time. The stars were beautiful. We could hear a little bit of the traffic of the road, but barely. We also heard fireworks from Disney. The next day we hiked and rented canoes which was fun for everyone. The canteen convenience seemed well stocked with anything you would be upset to have forgotten to bring with you. Overall a stress free and fun family weekend.

Even though we started at 9:30am, it was already getting hit, but concentrating on mastering the Segway, listening to our very nice tour guide, and looking at scenery and butterflies, we barely noticed the heat!
We live in Clermont, so we will introduce all our guests to this fun Segway experience. The employees who work this concession are knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed the morning with Jason.

Outstanding! I Stayed at a rented Cabin, Proposed to my Now Fiancé with the Sun setting on one side and the Moon Rising on another! How can you go wrong with 45,000 acres of trails to explore, lakes to kayak, horses to be ride, Quite campfires and doing some “Forest Washing” to unplug and disconnect from the Matrix!

This is literally the best horse back riding experience I’ve ever had the attentiveness of the horse handlers to the great pins and jokes to ease us and keep us calm but also focused on the task my horse name was Marta she was a great horse to ride because of her gentleness and patience she had with me which was a perfect stranger to her and she followed all the queues and leads I was taught to do and she followed every thing she was a real thorough bred in every sense

We went Glamping this past weekend and had a very nice time. The tent and bed were very comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful and nice . The showers and bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in a state park.
The lakes are very nice with boardwalks or a beach.
It was a nice, peaceful stay.

Everything was great!!! Kids & I had a wonderful time. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. Our guide gave us lots of information about the park and its history. They also educated us on the horses. This was the second year we came to Lake Louisa and intend to make it an annual event.

This has a great walking path and bicycle path right along the lake. Plenty of benches. There’s an ice cream and milk shake place as you walk toward the lake. They had a large old tree with a swinging bench hanging from it. We had a nice walk and it seemed to be a popular place to walk dogs too. They don’t allow swimming due to 🐊 alligators. But there’s fencing so you’re very safe. Also a pier into the lake with some chairs at the end. Highly recommend.
