Honestly, this was such a great experience. It was our first time going with my family. I have a 4 year old and 6 yr old and they both enjoyed it. Actually i think that I enjoyed it more than my kids. I live in Oregon but plan on going every Christmas to visit.

Not worth the price. This kind of animal feeding experience can be purchased for much less at any petting zoo. The orientation is too long (while they keep visitors freezing outside) and family talks too much about themselves.
The properly is overcrowded.
Might worth it if the cost was no more than $15 including Santa “experience” (which is just being able to take photos).

Highly recommended. We were so impressed with the abundance of staff to answer questions and insure the safety of the reindeer and other animals. The grounds were immaculate and our grandkids ages 5 and 9 were thrilled to feed the reindeer. The highlight was watching the new 2-day old reindeer.

We spent a weekend in Leavenworth and the Reindeer Farm was one of the highlights. It was well organized, informative, fun and overall a great experience. We fed chickens, saw turkeys, pet bunnies and a cat, fed reindeer and the baby reindeer as well as the horses.

My daughter and I loved being about to feed the reindeer, chickens, and learned so much about them! We also were able to see the cute baby reindeer's. All of the staff were friendly, and it is a safe place to take your family.

I would 100% say it's worth the experience and to go at least once. During your time slot, you get ushered into a space where they go over some rules and fun facts before they move you into the "play pen" where you can feed and pet the Reindeer. Will I be back? Yes. Next time we will be back with our daughter when we think she'll be old enough to enjoy the experience ( she's an infant right now lol ).

My husband was drawn to Leavenworth - the Bavarian town - as he was stationed in Germany for many years. So, finding the Reindeer was just the icing on the cake and boy-oh-boy did it deliver! I can't even fathom how magical it must be during Christmas time, but it is a treat no matter what time you come. If you have children, this would be unbelievable for them and absolute must do, but see my cautions below. Interacting with reindeer with such a gorgeous backdrop also added to the beautiful experience!
You will get a FULL on interaction with the reindeer along with getting to see various other animals that are on site: chickens, turkeys, rabbits, horses, and a giant pig. You also learn these INCREDIBLE facts about reindeer that I was never aware of - what a FASCINATING animal and I am so grateful to the owners of the farm for starting this business. When you visit, they also give you a 20% discount to return and to share with family and friends. The staff are also nice enough to have you take a photo with the reindeer, so you'll get your one-on-one photo opp too!
TAKE CAUTION WHEN INTERACTING WITH REINDEER: There are rules to follow when interacting with the reindeer (I posted a photo of it), ESPECIALLY since there were several baby reindeer and the mama reindeer can charge your running child. So if a child is < 3yo you MUST hold onto them to prevent them from running around. You CAN pet the reindeer, but only in certain areas and ways as it is not comforting to them. As with any animal, they can get aggressive when feeding as well (not dangerous) they just tend to rip the branch out of your hand. But these are all things that are discussed BEFORE you go into interact with the reindeer.
BATHROOMS: The only bathrooms on site are port-a-potty's. There are a couple right off of the parking lot but there are also 2 when you walk down towards the entrance and this spot has a handwashing station with soap.
GIFT SHOP: There are VERY cute items at the gift shop. You can go before and after interacting with the reindeer. I recommend afterwards as it will be hard to hold onto your bags while feeding the reindeer.
BE PREPARED: Hiking boots are required and the clothes you wear cannot be around sheep or goats (it is hazardous to reindeer). The tour is outside, so dress appropriately! NOTE: we all changed our boots in the car before/after 'cause we toured Leavenworth after BUT I was also glad we decided to bring an extra pair as we for sure stepped in some reindeer or chicken poop while inside.
Don't forget to check out the town of Leavenworth while you're here: we thoroughly enjoyed our food at Andres Keller and the dessert at Gingerbread Factory (don't let the name fool you - they have pastries, ice cream, coffee and more)

The reindeer farm was the most amazing experience… We got a presentation from one of the family members about the history of reindeer, about the family, and how they got involved… A little bit about the running of the ranch… And lots and lots of information about the herd! Then we all got to go inside of a very large enclosure with probably 2 dz reindeer of all different sizes and ages…. We got to feed them and interact with them… And at the end we were able to get a photograph with one of them posing with us! Couldn't recommended any more

We had a great time and learned a lot about the reindeer. The family running the farm is very friendly. We visited when there was new babies. So cute. It was the highlight of our trip.

Kids had a lot of fun feeding the reindeer. Definitely worth the stop. Some great finds in the gift shop too.

This was an amazing experience! The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, plus they were very careful with the safety of both the guests and the animals. We were also very humbled and touched when two of the reindeer actually approached us, even though they could see we didn't have any more food for them. Thank you for a great time, and for our photos with Moonshine and Joy!

Amazing experience. The reindeer are amazing to see, they are quite social and calm. The people there take amazing care of them and will entertain you, inform you and you get to learn lots of new and interesting stuff about the reindeer. The farm has also chickens, rabbits, ducks, horses to make the visit even more fun. You get to feed, get a picture, and pat on the reindeer. Highly recommended!

This was our 3rd time at the farm. We LOVE this place so much! It is a wonderful experience for children and adults. The staff are informative and friendly. We will visit the farm every time we are in Leavenworth. It was the highlight of our trip🦌

The reindeer were so cool and gentle. The staff were very nice and funny. Worth the drive, fabulous time

Loved, loved, loved the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm!!! I was looking forward to seeing the reindeer at the Reindeer Farm, but did not anticipate the amazing experience it was. The facilities, the staff, the educational presentation was beyond what I can describe. You MUST experience it. Highly, highly recommend the Leavenworth Reindeer farm for the whole family. Incredible!

Any time I can be outdoors and hanging with cool friendly animals I say SIGN ME UP! The staff was incredibly personable and knowledgeable - and very efficient with moving the tour groups through.

This farm has it all! This was so worth it ! We did the full experience which actually allows you in the pens with the reindeer. It was very well done with an informational video first going over all things “reindeer.”
Great photo opportunities all over the property, wonderful little gift shop and a cute coffee/ hot cocoa truck with traditional snacks!

The reindeer farm was a once in a lifetime experience. Never been so close to such a beautiful animal. Took my daughter and her partner and my husband to the reindeer farm for my daughters 25th birthday. I would go again and she is looking forward to another trip also. The staff is very friendly and will knowledge about the reindeer. And very passionate about the farm. If you have a chance to go see reindeer I would highly recommend it. Thank you for the experience. Cheers.

Loved getting to talk to this family/staff they are super friendly. Be sure to check tour times before you head that way. Dont forget to let them know if you are military they offer a pretty awesome discount. Getting the up close and personal experience with the reindeer was something we will remember forever, it was amazing.

We visited during early spring, I wasn't sure if it was going to be magical for my 9 year old but it was! We loved being up close to the reindeer even Blitsen was there. We even saw a4 day old baby reindeer.

The people who own the farm are the sweetest ever. We’ve been coming for four years and it’s such a special time for our family. They have done such a wonderful job this year making it safe to open. Grateful we were able to visit last week. It was magical and just what we needed after a hard year. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful setting with beautiful animals and the nicest staff! This is one of the coolest experiences, a must do! Adorable gift shop too with a delicious coffee stand. It’s a win all the way around.

Fantastic experience! The staff were all nice and getting to feed and interact with the reindeer was a blast!

This is our second time visiting and have to say it wasn’t as enjoyable this go around. Seems like the groups are much much larger- just wasnt as personal of an experience. Very rush rush being herded through like cattle. The reindeer were pushier. Just wasn’t fun at all. A complete 180 of our experience years ago. This was most likely our last time visiting….

This was a wonderful experience. Very well organized and informative, and my senior friends and I enjoyed it immensely.

Such a wonderful experience! We had 10 of us, ages 2 - 60 and everyone had a great time! So educational and the up close and personal time with reindeer was spectacular! The Farm, has lots to do, cute gift store, food, and fun photo opportunities! Very well run and organized. We went on Christmas Eve, so magical!

Magical experience! We loved everything from the gift store to the hilarious intro lecture, to the reindeer themselves! Disney music playing on the background makes you feel like you're in the Norwegian village from Frozen. The coziest gift shop with crackling fireplace has very cute candles, Christmas decorations, and toys for pets. The family - owners of the farm are incredibly knowledgeable, hilarious, clearly love what they are doing and are absolute pros. The territory is very clean, manicured, despite all the animals around - besides reindeer there are beautiful cats, ponies, turkey, chickens, pigs, and bunnies. Reindeer are so gentle and calm it is totally safe to come with toddlers and kids. Every visitor get a small plate of treats to feed the reindeer.

Where else can you pet reindeer? The North Pole?
It was educational, cold, and crowded. Listen carefully to the instructions beforehand and understand these people are trying to prevent you from an injury. Take lots of pictures and videos. Feed the reindeer.

We enjoyed feeding the reindeer and chickens and watching the horses. Thank you so much for your flexibility and hospitality.

It was so fun learning a little about reindeer and getting to feed and pet them.
Probably the most fun was meeting this delightful family whose members were so kind and truly passionate about the work they do with these amazing animals…
Just hope I win some reindeer antlers in the raffle!🤪
Can’t wait to bring our grandchildren back someday!

Had a wonderful time, lots of info about Reindeer, and then meeting them, wow what a treat. Family running the farm were open, kind, friendly and informative. I highly recommend this venue if you love animals. Oh and feeding the chickens and turkeys were delightful.

The Reindeer Farm is a great experience. Learned more about reindeer than I expected. They are beautiful creatures. We were there before they had shed their fuzzy antler cover and their antlers are just the most beautiful, softest looking things! Feeding them is a delight! Take the time to go to the Farm, you won't be disappointed.

This was a delightful experience for our group and for the week! The hosts were exceptional with the presentation and preparation for the animal encounter. The animals were charming and friendly! Truly a highlight of our vacation- thank you for sharing your passion and desire to save these fascinating creatures- we will carry the torch forward!

Lovely reindeer (technically caribou) farm. If you can’t make it to Alaska or the Nordic countries, you can experience an interactive afternoon with these lovely animals right here in Washington state. It is a family run farm and very well managed. The cafe has some very tasty dishes too

Great experience, friendly people. Be sure to book online before you come, I would wear boots! This is not a stroller friendly while in the reindeer pin.
The staff in the pin help keep it safe and also helped to take a photo. Can’t wait to go back

Such a fantastic afternoon! This beautiful family run farm is an absolute delight. They are so informative and very helpful in making sure that you are safe and having the best experience

We had a great experience learning more about reindeer and caribou in general. This family farm was fun to see and get to be hands on with the reindeer. The gift shop and food/truck were so appreciated as we waited for our tour to begin. We will definitely be back again.

The best tour! So informative and entertaining. Lots of great information about the animals and such a lovely family farm, where everyone was very friendly and willing to answer questions, take pictures, etc. Definitely a must do if you’re in the area!

Family owned and just a short drive away from town. Started off my tour with a warm fire and a nice story about the farm and about reindeer. Then we got to meet the reindeer, there were so many. We got to feed and take photos with many of them. They were very friendly! Perfect place for kids or couples. 10/10 would recommend!

Our whole family truly enjoyed this experience, and our kids are 23,21, and 14!! It was educational, entertaining, and you can see that the family who runs the reindeer farm is very passionate about what they do. What a great experience!

This is such a fun family activity and a must to do when you visit Leavenworth! We have visited and enjoyed this experience multiple times & it doesn't get old! All of the staff is so friendly & helpful, but most of all the reindeer are an absolute joy to learn about & be around! Can't wait for the next visit.

$40 to feed your reindeer for you? how do you justify that price? it's a petting zoo of one animal. I'd expect to walk out of there with some reindeer tenderloin at that price.

Family run farm. Just the right mix of education and hands on experience. The Leavenworth Reindeer Farm provides an opportunity to meet and pet these unique animals. We visited in the middle of summer and it put us right into the Christmas spirit! Can't wait to return!

Hands down, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Such a cool place to visit! I learned so much and the people who worked there are amazing. The Reindeers are so loved and well taken care of! This place is for everyone!

This place is magical! It is very well organized and I learned so much! The little coffee shop is equally amazing! I have already booked a second trip.

Awesome place to visit. They clearly love and take great care of the animals. Great outdoor activity for the whole family!

great fun great time my son loved it reindeer are really cool people were very nice would return with fam

I could have stayed here all day! The people were incredibly friendly and the information and facts were very interesting. Getting to interact with the reindeer was a once in a lifetime experience.

We went with friends to the Reindeer Farm on Nov 3. As locals, we had been before. Since the time when we first visited, the farm has grown and is bigger and better! I think it's awesome that it is a family run business. I love the gift shop-I could spend a lot of time in there just looking at all the great things you can buy! Really enjoyed learning so much about these beautiful creatures. All of the staff are well informed and happy to share what they know about these amazing creatures! Cannot wait to come back to experience the 360 degree theater that will be installed and operational by spring. Great improvements! I highly recommend as people will not be disappointed!

We are a family of 5 who decided to visit Christmas Town for Christmas break. This was the first adventure we had planned for our trip and unfortunately due to weather related delays we were late for our reservation. The folks at the reindeer farm were very helpful and accommodated us with a later time, no issues or problems. The staff was incredibly informative and friendly. The reindeer were what anyone would hope for and our three boys loved interreacting wiht and feeding them. You are provided a lovely overview with fireside warmth as you learn about reindeer and then proceed into the large pen with them. Each guest is given a small cup of food to share with the reindeer of your choice. We had a great time and would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

My daughter & I loved this part of our trip to Leavenworth more than any other part! Great family run business where they are willing to share both their knowledge & hospitality! We definitely learned a lot about reindeer that we would’ve never known otherwise! Thanks for an amazing experience!

More than worth the approx $20 entrance fee. Family run business for three generations. At least 20 reindeer. All ages. Viewing/feeding/petting area safe for children/mobility issues/special needs. My favorite event in Leavenworth. Picture opportunities, gift shop, food, bathrooms, picnic tables, plenty of free parking. At least 6 newborn calves now

Very Informative prior to getting up close to the reindeer. The attendants are very focused on the safety of the visitors. Very enjoyable visit on Christmas Eve along with Santa.

I loved seeing the new baby born just 4 days earlier. I learned a lot about reindeer habitat and how they live. This farm also has turkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits and horses. The team working there were very helpful and professional.

Informative and fun experience. It was incredible to interact with these amazing creatures. We were very impressed by the farm and the family who run it. Definitely worth a stop if you are staying in or just passing by Leavenworth.

Standing next to and feeding these magnificent animals was a rare treat. I've been to elk herds before, but were not allowed to touch them. Fantastic!

The reindeer farm is an absolute must when coming to Leavenworth! Our family of 5 had a wonderful time here. We learned a lot about these beautiful creatures and loved being able to feed and pet them!

Our eleven person group was accommodated graciously. The children had fun feeding the reindeer and meeting the other animals. We were treated with hot cocoa and warm cider.

Daughter of the owner was incredibly rude (Erika I think). She talked to our group before we were allowed in to the reindeer. The talk was looong. The owner mentioned in other reviews that the talk is only 12 minutes long which is completely false. The talk, not including the safety briefing was closer to thirty minutes (The exact time was 26 minutes) She was incredibly unprofessional. She called out my group multiple times for not giving her out complete attention, which I would understand if it was the safety briefing but she was just spieling on about bad reindeer jokes and about reindeers themselves, not particularly important information. Our group also WAS NOT being disruptive in any form, we were all simply looking at the reindeer that were behind her and to the right a bit. She shouldn't work with the general public. If you look at the other one star and two star reviews from yelp, google, and trip advisor you see her respond with very passive aggressive and condescending tone, as she likely will respond to this review as well. Instead of owning up to mistakes her business makes she just denys and shuts everyone down while being rude and condescending. So please when someone who works at this business reads this take time to actually reflect on it and not just shut it down immediately, bad reviews are just as important as good reviews. Also it is so incredibly expensive. 40 dollars per person to see reindeer for 15 min. Not worth anyone's time.

Such a well organized place.
You will need to make a reservation online. We were at the 1200 spot and it's the last one of the day. Arrive early to check in and explore the gift shop or eat some of their unique foods! There is an area
On the other side of the gift shop where you wait for your tour. They lead you to a short informative safety video where you learn all about the reindeer. Then you are given a branch of leaves for the reindeer. Kids younger than 11 go into a separate area with small reindeer. But they can feed through the fence the larger ones. You can spend 20+ mins inside the inclosure. Sounds like its pretty special in the winter and those tickets sell out quickly.

The shopping area, pictures with Santa, standing by the fire before and during the information and safety talk were fabulous. The reindeer interaction was memorable and incredible! MUST do!
However, the one huge damper was Amy an employee. I happened to be talking with a lady who was having a difficult time walking as well as her elderly mother. Unfortunately, Amy was extremely RUDE to her and insisted to go back to the safety presentation that was at the end. This mother and daughter have been several times before. Amy had no empathy when the lady indicated she couldn't walk very well. Come to discover she's a VETERAN! In addition, Amy yelled at her when the cup of reindeer food she was handed was nearly empty and reached for one container with more reindeer food. After all the hype from family and friends about their experience I was frustrated with Amy. She ruined it! She needs to take a customer service class if she's going to work with the public! I wonder how many other guests she's been rude to in the past?

All in our family had a great time at this activity. We arrived early enough that we could check out the gift shop before the tour. But you exit right by the shop. So if you miss it in the way in you can visit on the way out. The informational part of the experience was interesting and short enough that folks didn’t lose interest. The chance to feed the reindeer was the highlight of our trip to Leavenworth. It was a great addition that the staff we helped guests pose with a reindeer, and then took pictures for the guests.

Great family owned farm, very educational, lots of interaction with the reindeer (kind of scary at moments!) , tried yummy scandanavian treats too. Expensive but awesome!

We stumbled upon the Reindeer Farm via a back road. They graciously invited us to park and view the barn and gift shop. When you want to visit, be sure you call and make a reservation- the only way you are able to get in and up close!😊

So cool getting up close and personal with the reindeer. You watch a short and informative video on the reindeer and then you are invited into the pen with at least 12-18 reindeer. You are given a small cup with reindeer food and invited to feed all them up close and personal. They are very approachable and love the food. There are small things you need to remember for safety and the staff is in the corral to help you remember. The children under 11 have the ability to go into the baby reindeer pen and feed them along with their parent or adult supervisor. They too are allowed to get up close and personal. It was a great experience.

We took our family here and everyone loved it! We had ages 5-55 and everyone loved it. The prices were reasonable, the Santa was amazing and the stand was so friendly. We all highly suggest going there and will be going back.

We have visited the Reindeer farm 3 times. Each time has been very special! In the spring we love seeing the reindeer in their velvet antlers and the new babies. The winter visits are wonderful with the snowy background and the spirit of Christmas. The staff start you off with an informative Q & A about their farm. When you move into the reindeer pen you know exactly what to expect. To encourage interaction you are given a small amount of food to offer the reindeer. Great photo opportunities!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The information shared was interesting and the staff knocked our socks off with their courtesy and professional manner. The setting is beautiful and the gift shop was a blast.

Forget the sugary Christmas cliches, the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm brings you face-to-face with the real deal! Majestic antlers, gentle giants you can feed by hand, and enough Christmas magic to melt even the Grinch's icy heart. This ain't your average farm, it's a portal straight to the North Pole!
But beyond the twinkle lights, there's some mind-blowing science at play:
Arctic Swimmers: Don't let their fur fool you! These reindeer navigate icy rivers and even the ocean for seaweed snacks, proving they're more graceful gliders than Rudolph might lead you to believe.
Super Sniffers: Reindeer noses are like built-in space heaters! They warm the air they breathe, saving precious energy and even capturing moisture to stay hydrated. Talk about a clever hack!
Speedy Sprouts: Reindeer calves are growth champions, doubling their weight in weeks! By one year old, they're practically adults, thanks to this incredible growth spurt. Talk about getting winter-ready fast!
Clicky Chatters: Don't be fooled by their chill demeanor, these guys are chatterboxes! Clicks, grunts, and even snorts - it's their secret Santa language, and it's adorable.
Winter Eyes: Witness a magical transformation! Their summery gold eyes morph into mesmerizing winter blues, helping them see better in the dark and navigate snowy landscapes. Nature's own night vision goggles!
So, skip the sugary mugs and head to the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm. Learn about their amazing adaptations, catch a glimpse of those mesmerizing eyes, and maybe even whisper a wish to Santa's crew. You might just discover that reindeer are more than just sleigh pullers – they're fascinating, resilient creatures with secrets to share.
Have you ever met a reindeer? What amazes you about these magnificent creatures? Share your thoughts and spread the reindeer love!

This family owned farm made you feel like family. We didn't have tickets reserved but they made space for us. Knowleable about the animals and extremely friendly to families...A must see while in town

My two sisters and I took a weekend trip to Leavenworth and the Reindeer Farm was our favorite part of the trip! The experience at the farm was very organized, informative, affordable and fun being around all the different animals: chickens, turkeys, bunnies, horses (very large and very small!) and of course the reindeer. There were all ages of reindeer, including babies that we were able to interact with and feed. We would highly recommend the Reindeer Farm to anyone visiting the area.

The Leavenworth Reindeer Farm was incredible! It was so fun learning more about reindeers and getting to be surrounded by them while in their enclosure was an experience my husband and I won't forget (: The staff was so kind, and the reindeer were so adorable! (:

Great experiences. The animals are well taken care of by staff there. We learned a lot about reindeers.

This was an exciting find. I’ve been to Leavenworth many times and had no idea this treasure was there. We were able to feed them and meet the new babies. The staff were all very informed and able to answer all the random questions we had. I can’t wait to go back for another visit.

We had to eat the cost of all of our tickets. We spent about $250 for this place. The website posted inadequate information of facilities. The phone contact, don’t even bother. We tried calling multiple times and no answer or return of call. We went when it was literally 2 degrees outside, yes they say to wear warm clothes online but there were no indoor restrooms. I’m sorry, a port a potty is not acceptable for changing a baby or bringing little ones. The walkways are steep and there is no railing, yes they’ll allow a motorized jeep to take a person down and back up being radio’d, but even for an average walking person, I felt like I was going to stumble and roll down the steep entrance. Just to see Santa or the reindeer you must listen to a 45 MINUTE presentation prior. That’s WAY too long for a baby or young child to be out in the cold that long! There were other young families that were leaving without seeing the reindeer or Santa as well with how cold it was and due to the facilities being too POOR to stay. My special needs sister was really sad to not be able to experience this, so unfortunate. SAVE YOUR MONEY! We have reindeer and Santa close to where we live but hoped for a little more “magical farm experience” from the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm and were so disappointed instead. Go to Beaver Bark in Richland, WA during the Christmas season to see reindeer and Santa instead at little to no cost!

What an incredible place to visit! We learned so much about caribou/reindeer as well as the important conservation work they are doing here. The staff was incredbily knowledgeable and made the experience fun from feeding chickens to feeding and petting reindeer.

My husband and I went as part of our 42nd wedding anniversary Leavenworth trip. We walked from town and easily found the farm. We were very impressed with the organization, cleanliness, atmosphere, personnel and reindeer! There were other animals (wild turkeys, chickens, kitty, ponies, etc.) but truly the stars on the farm are the reindeer. It was educational and we learned many new things about this incredible animal. Feeding and getting up close and touching the reindeer was really a great experience. We love how they care for these beautiful animals and especially the care they show a couple of older reindeer. I learned later that they also cared for their retired Clydesdales who were in another pasture. The people were very nice, very professional and truly display their love for the reindeer. I loved the gift shop as well, while my husband enjoyed the beverage/food stand. We will be coming back and hopefully can bring our family and grandchildren to experience this beautiful farm.

The reindeer farm exceeded all my expectations. I will definitely be going back. It’s a fabulous mixture of fun, education, conservation and delight.

We enjoyed our experience so much and learned so much too! They are very informative about the reindeer and such a friendly staff. Feeding all the animals is fun for all ages!

5 STARS!!
This tour was AMAZING!! Very informative, interactive, and Fun. My 2 grandkids(ages 2 and 7)had a wonderful time. This tour was the highlight of our trip. We were going to go again the next day but it was booked up. Feeding the reindeer was our favorite part. We will definitely go back every time we visit Leavenworth.
Leavenworth Reindeer Farm we ❤ You!!!

Great fun! Only downside is once you are out of food its kind of hard to interact with the reindeer because thats what they want. But you can pet them and take pictures and they are so sweet! Very well behaved!

Very disappointed that you would not allow us to get some coffee or go to the guft store without paying $100. for my husband and myself who were just waiting for our daughter and granddaughter who were doing the tour. You will not be getting any positive word of mouth advertisement from our family. You horrible treatment of a disabled person.

Fun Farm!!!! Very Educational!!!! Reindeer Are Amazing Creatures!!!! Who Knew!!!! Solo Traveler!!!! Highly Recommend

It was a wonderful balance between education and animal interaction. Was dreading the roadway animal petting park experience; this was totally different and well worth what we paid.

We went to this reindeer farm today and had a lovely time visiting. The staff did a great job briefing everyone around reindeer-related safety, and managing the reindeer during the visit to make sure the reindeer were comfortable and the guests were safe.
However, as far as I could tell there is 0 enforcement of their mandatory mask policy. The policy is clear on their website, there are signs everywhere and masks for sale, but maybe 30% of guests did not have masks on for the entirety of their visit. I didn't once see a staff member requesting an unmasked guest apply their mask (and I saw well over a dozen unmasked guests).
There were also several unmasked staff members. Some stayed far enough away from the guests that their lack of a mask could be excused, however I saw two that got very close to guests.
In summary, great place, but they need to take COVID more seriously.

We had a BLAST this past weekend! We had a large party, 10 people including 2 kids 2 and under. There was a separate fenced off area for adults with littles and the rest of the party was in the larger fenced off area. The team at Leavenworth reinderr Farm was very accommodating with pictures for both groups of our party and when we wanted to get a picture all together. We had an amazing time and will definitely be going again!

Not only are the reindeer at the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm interesting and friendly (and you can feed them!), but there are oodles of other farm animals for a well-rounded experience year-round. Families seem to really love this, but as an individual I really did too!

Such a cool visit. It's a family owned farm and the animals are cared for and treated wonderfully. Wandering through the herd feeding them and interacting with them is a magical experience.

This is such a fun place to visit! My husband and I enjoyed feeding the reindeer and interacting directly with them. We felt safe the whole time and there was plenty of staff around to help if we had questions. They were so cute and definitely the highlight of our trip!
The presentation before we went into the enclosure was pretty neat. We learned a lot about reindeer that we didn’t really appreciate before.
Their shop was awesome and the food was good! We bought a little ornament and tried the lefse.
Although we don’t have kids, the farm seemed very kid friendly and had a section called Cupid’s Corner where younger kids could interact with the most docile reindeer under direct supervision.
10/10 would recommend! We plan on coming back with our next trip to Leavenworth.

100% add this to your list of must see. The family and workers so very nice and helpful. I went in thinking it was just another reindeer park but oh was I wrong. I learned so much about these lovely animals. I was surprised how much I didn't know. A short video and off to pet these wonderful animals. You Must Add this to your trips to go see. I know I will be back for sure

We visited the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm on January 3rd. It was a wonderful experience for our family. This multi-generational family run wildlife experience was the highlight of our trip to Leavenworth. We stepped away for the "glitch and glamour" of the little town and found ourselves transposed to a place of caring for the animals and helping us become educated and sensitive to life beyond ourselves. The warming fires, the igloo huts, gift shop, and educational videos all allow an individual to participate in the grand story of our American tradition of reindeer lore. We learned a great deal, bought some sweet treats, and was so thankful the reindeer handlers answered our questions with grace and kindness. Plan your trip to Leavenworth with this Farm in mind. You will come away humbled, amazed, and delighted with everything your senses can absorb. Thank you for sharing your work and your world with thousands of us. It is deeply appreciated.
Barbara

We used this stop on our way to Whidbey Island, another story.
Was the perfect stop. We had plenty of room to park,(traveling in an rv) and the place is amazing. the store, while typical souviners, they do offer some of those specialy items produced right at the farm, drop a few dollars is a must. The food at the snack shop was great. To start our tour with some history and a great education by Erika, learned things we never knew about reindeer. This place is an amazing stop over. Next time we are in the area we will definety make another stop. Well worth it, personalized / not comercialized!!! Thanks a bunch, Jeff & Karen - Peoria, Arizona

Absolutely enchanting! The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, helpful and informative. And the animals!!! Not only the wonderful reindeer, but the horses and chickens! Totally unique and perfect way to send the day.

Very educational. Now I know reindeer actually have super powers. The family who runs this are so kind, friendly, and helpful. My 82 year old was on an electric scooter which worked with some help from me and staff. 1000%reccommend.

Great experience for me and my family. Very educated people and friendly reindeers. We will come back to see the dome when its up.

Reserve online. It’s amazing to be beside these creatures. All of the staff are so friendly!!! We arrived 20mins early to change into our boots.

Its a small reindeer pen in someones yard. We had a different impression of what to expect from the pictures online.
100$ to feed some reindeer and learn a few facts you could google..
The staff were very nice people, we just expected a bit more.

I just wanted to leave a review to remember this place.
I'm surprised it is listed as the #2 thing to do in Leavenworth. It is definitely not worth the cost.
It was $172 for a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids.
(then more $ of course to buy any snacks or drinks at their shop afterwards. they also have a gift shop as well). All in all, we spent over $200 for an experience that I don't think is even worth $20.
Because our kids are under age 11, we had to go to Cupid's Corner, which is a small pen off to the side of the main area, and there are only a few reindeer in there for a large number of guests, and the reindeer that are in there, are only there briefly before they've had enough of the crowd and are let back into the main pen.
I get where they are coming from in terms of safety. It's best to keep younger kids separate from the main group due to the large antlers that could poke kids in the face.
However, if anyone has younger kids, it is definitely not worth the price. I think the experience in the main pen is a lot better as there is more space and more reindeer to interact with.
There's an educational video at the beginning which was cute, but the bulk of the time is spent at the video and only a few minutes with the reindeer.
We had at most 5 minutes with the reindeer, and spending time with reindeer is the main reason you would want to visit the reindeer farm. The video with cute educational tidbits about reindeer is something you can find for free on youtube.
The Cupid's Corner only had a few reindeer enclosed with a ton of people . The food you are given to feed the reindeer is just a few pieces in a plastic container that is the size of what restaurants use to put sauce in for take out orders (as another reviewer mentioned).
I did try to make the feed last a bit longer as they said in the video, by putting only a bit out at a time on my kids' hands. The one reindeer that was near us was frantically eating between the tidbits fed by the kids (they make a point to emphasize only kids are allowed to feed reindeer) and even that only lasted about 2 minutes at most.
When we were all done with the 5 minute experience, I honestly thought there was more to the tour and was ready to be taken to the next area, but then I found out that was it.
I think the key take home point is that if you have younger kids under 11, it is definitely not worth the price. I'd consider trying to go again when the kids are older and we can go into the main pen to have more time with the reindeer. by then, knows, the price will probably be $250 for a family of 4 , given the rate of inflation....
When all was said and done... I was honestly shocked at the price. (My spouse had bought the tickets). I thought maybe it was $20 for the 4 of us (which is still a lot for 5 minutes with reindeer, but I get it takes a lot of money to take care of animals), and when I found out it was $172, it was pretty shocking so I wanted to write this review so I remember not to go back until the kids are older.

The visit was very educational and informative and also an eye opener on the possibility of a midlife career change. The founders and their family started this only a few years ago leaving a long career at a Seattle based aerospace company.
It is a very well organized, clean, cute and for some reason I can't explain very rewarding. If you are in town just carve out an hour and go.

We had so much fun at the farm!
We saw and pet and fed the reindeer. I really appreciated the precautions being taken for covid and the safety measures around the animals themselves. The hot chocolate was delicious maybe because the weather was so cold! We learned a lot of facts about the reindeer and were very impressed with the staffs handling. We will be back again for sure!!!

Loved this reindeer farm!. Family are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly advise a family visiting this farm. I am handicapped and and they made sure I had a great experience

I can't wait to visit this lovely farm again. We learned so much about the reindeer and the owners lead the tour. I didn't know half of what I thought about this species. The gift shop was amazing, Santa was so nice. And it was just a lovely time. Go see these amazing creatures.

We got to feed and pet reindeers, including babies. What else can you ask for?
The explanatory videos before the experience were also cute.

This is a great place to visit! Double that if your group includes kids. While waiting for our appointment time, we could feed the chickens, who were swirling around our feet. Then we listened to a short talk with lots of very interesting facts about reindeer and how they survive cold climates. After that we entered the pen with the reindeer. We were free to wander among them, and we were given cups of food to feed those who came up to us. There were two baby reindeer when we were there (mid-April), and 5 more expected soon. One of the owners was in the pen with us answering questions and gave us more interesting reindeer facts.

If you go in the spring and early summer you get to meet the baby reindeer - and they are simply adorable! My family loves visiting the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm and we will likely do it everytime we visit the area. Lots of cute stuff in the gift shop as well.

Wow! It was a magical, educational experience that I will always remember. My husband and I both learned so much and truly enjoyed being with the reindeer. It is just outside of Leavenworth, WA, and easy to find. The people there really care for the reindeer and for the guests who come to the reindeer farm. We highly recommend it for young and young at heart!!!

Such a fun day learning about reindeer! Interacting and feeding these animals was a true highlight. Appreciated the attention to safety and teaching us how to keep both us and the reindeer safe during our visit was helpful.

When I was researching things to do in Leavenworth, the Reindeer Farm popped up. Having never been up close to reindeer before, and their ad for Christmas in July to meet Santa, I was sold and immediately bought tickets.
We drove from Seattle to Leavenworth, which took a little over 3 hours, so we go there just a few minutes before our schedules time slot. I was worried we would be late and not allowed in, but they let us in with no issues.
They do take animal disease seriously, so they double check you haven’t been in recent contact with sheep or goats, and you must immerse the bottom of your shoes with a disinfectant.
Since we arrived just in time, we took our picture with Santa. He was very nice. No one was there to help take a picture though, so we couldn’t take a picture as a whole family. I also was a bit disappointed that there was no lei greeting for my son, which was offered based on what I read on the website. I didn’t notice any of the other young kids wearing one either.
We sat at a covered area for the 20 min for the educational session by the owner which was pretty good. Very informative.
Then we spent 20 minutes feeding the reindeer afterwards. This was of course the highlight. The only thing that made it a bit difficult was to hold the tree branch, the cup of food, and taking photos at the same time. It would’ve been nice to start with the branch first, and then get the cup later to make it easier to take videos of the experience.
Gift shop is mostly Christmas stuff, and was nice to browse. Also liked that they served a small selection of food and drinks.
As a working farm, there’s a cat, chickens, turkeys and bunnies to feed, which the kids enjoyed.
Overall, a fun and unique visit. I’m glad we went. Just thought there is room to improve on the overall experience. A bit puzzled why they advertised a lei greeting, but no sign of any.

Great adventure for the whole family.
Make reservations online before you go.
Limited hours of operation to keep the animals safe.
We learned a lot of great information about the Reindeer. The family obviously love the animals. You can feed chickens, pet bunnies and mix up close and personal with herd.
Highly recommended

The staff is amazing and the farm is so much fun. Super open to questions, pictures taken with the reindeer and bunnies running around. Gave tons of information on reindeer and also discussed the other animals they have on the farm. We got to feed them and look at the pigs. The gift shop is amazing as well.

We were so fortunate to score the last 2 tickets of the day and I am so glad we did! I didn’t know reindeer were so interesting! The day we visited it snowed and it just made the experience more magical! The staff were very informative and friendly. Comet was my favorite! I would definitely recommend this for adults and kids and if we make it back to Leavenworth, will make a return trip for sure!

We have been to the Leavenworth Reindeer farm multiple times now. Every time is a new experience and the kids love it! They have added some new features to their farms that make it a comfortable safe place to experience these wonderful animals. They also provide a great overview of reindeer and a few corny, but great jokes! I highly recommend at least one trip to visit these majestic animals.

The animals were clean and interacted well with the clients. The staff was very helpful and informative. It was an overall great experience!

I strongly recommend this town it’s very cool and when you drive into Leavenworth Washington it’s like you stepped into the country of Germany .There’s so many great shops and there’s a trail called blackbird island that is a 5 minute drive but it was closed because of bears .The views of the mountains surrounding this town is unbelievable amazing and spectacular. The town folks are very nice and pleasant to talk to and it’s about a 2 hour drive southeast of downtown Seattle it’s a beautiful drive very scenic .I promise you will not be disappointed

We had an amazing experience at the reindeer farm. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was well run, clean, beautiful and educational. We all learned something! The family aspect of the farm was awesome and we loved meeting our new furry friends.
The video shown was awesome, all staff was kind and welcoming, having the fire pits was clutch, the coffee stand was perfect to warm up.
I want to also shout out that our group was broken up into different times and the person at the ticket window was so gracious and helped us all move into one (thanks to a cancellation). It was great!
Super fun experience for kids and grown ups alike all around!

We loved how organized everything was. Everyone working knew their part and did it well. Very patient with all the guests, especially the kids. While we were waiting for our tour near the campfire area, some of the horses came up for some attention. The interaction was spectacular! Not only were the horses used to being around people, but seemed to crave the attention. (I grew up around horses. My childhood horse was like a big dog. Followed me around everywhere)
All of the animals appeared healthy and happy. All were very gentle. We got to see a new born Reindeer and another doe was in labor. We were the last tour of the day. When we go back I think we'll be looking for something in the middle. We felt as though the animals were reaching their comfortable tolerance level. All were very gentle, but we could see that they were also interested in some quiet time in the shade.
We're definitely brining the kids back next winter! This is a great tour no matter what time of year you go. Don't even hesitate, book it now!

Wonderful time at the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm! Beautiful facility and grounds, and super interactive! Nicely done!

What a unique and memorable experience! This family is doing an incredible job of not only creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for people to have encounters with these beautiful creatures, but also being so clearly committed to their care, safety, and quality of life. All of the animals on the farm are well cared for and their needs are prioritized, which was made evident in the way they educate guests about them and how to interact with them before getting anywhere near the herd. The staff are all very warm and welcoming. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. For those with mobility issues, there is a relatively steep paved hill descending into the farm, but nothing that can't be navigated with a little assistance. Our time with the reindeer was so wonderful! Thank you for this truly magical moment that we will not soon forget!

A+ experience. The farm is immaculate and a well run operation. The daughter who gave us the history and information session was impressive! We learned a lot. We went into the cupids corner since we had an 11yo with us and it was wonderful! The reindeer are so sweet and gentle. Justin really knows his stuff too! Very knowledgeable. We had an amazing time. I wish we lived closer because I would go all the time!

We loved visiting the reindeer farm while we were in Leavenworth, Washington over Christmas! It was snowy and the reindeer were so friendly and we got to feed them! It was a great experience for the entire family. This is a family farm that everyone contributes and you can see that they take great care off their reindeer. During the holidays, you do need to make sure that you book well in advance because they book up quickly! They have an awesome gift shop and you can buy hot chocolate or specialty coffees. They also had a warming fire as well! ❤️

I was reluctant to go as I thought it was a bit pricy (it costs more in December). But I was pleasantly surprised, and it is not just for kids. Staff were all amazing. The facility is well kept, very clean, and you can tell the wonderful animals are well taken care of. I learned a few things about reindeer and my wife took about 100 pictures. I will definitely return to see it a different time of year - and want to see this outdoor theatre they are building.

We had a great time at the Reindeer Farm! The staff was very knowledgeable and they were all very helpful. We had plenty of time feeding the reindeer...and even got to see a few young (7 wks old) little ones. There were a lot of picture-taking opportunities. The reindeer appeared well taken care of.

This was so much fun. The staff gives you a very detailed talk about what it took to make the reindeer farm happen to everything you need to know about reindeers. You get to feed the reindeer and spend time in the enclosure with them. They are beautiful animals. I only wished I lived there so I can work there with them.
The family that owns this farm is very friendly and easy to talk with. I only wished they would print a book about what they went though to make this reindeer farm happen and also everything they know and see about the reindeer they are raising. What a wonder job they have done!

When I went to the reindeer farm I wanted to have a good time, I really tried. But the first red flag is the price. 40 dollars a person is absurd. You only get to spend a maximum of 15 minutes with the reindeer. They completely overcharge and the price alone makes it not worth it. Second red flag is the rude staff. The only nice people in this business are the ones in the reindeer enclosure with you, everyone else is arrogant, rude, and just not nice. Before we entered the reindeer enclosure the owners daughter (I forgot her name, but I really wish I was able to post it on here. I think it was Erika) started her spiel about reindeer history and jokes. The second anyone in my group looked either at their phone or away from her she stopped the presentation and asked for everyone to keep eyes up to here for her very unimportant reindeer talks. She did this was rude tone and while rolling her eyes many times. She was incredibly rude and arrogant. People do not want to give their constant attention to a boring, poorly written speech about reindeer that they can read on wikipedia in 15 minutes. When we got into the reindeer enclosure one of the reindeer tore its ACL it was locked in a very small enclosure and seemed quite sad. This place also did not seem to try to hard at clearing walkways of ice and snow. It was very slippery in many places, they offer handicap transport and I can not comment on that as I didn't need it. However given the foot traffic they recieve its just plain dangerous for them to not clear the walkways better, my grandmother slipped multiple times. All in all I would not say this is worth anybody's time. It is expensive, the staff are rude, and it is not well maintained. Not to mention the fact that they keep reindeer in oregon locked in a pen all day. When a friend of mine left a review here last year they were left with a very unprofessional and rude response by the business so hopefully whoever reads this actually takes these thoughts into consideration. Thank you.

It’s really great experience and we will come back on next year. Me and my friend booked tickets online ($25) and drove around 2:30 hours from Seattle. The reindeer are adorable, they also serve hot chocolate outside (free)

Seeing Sven! What a great experience to learn about the Reindeer and then to see and feed them. The staff was so appreciative and helpful during the tour. Just a great time regardless of age! Kids really enjoyed this and I loved the Turkeys and Guineas!

This experience was exactly what we had hoped for and more, when we booked this for a lovely spring weekend. We were taught so many cool facts about the reindeer and enjoyed the experience of being up close and personal with them soon after. I loved the jokes, the gift shop, and the attention to safety for both the reindeer and for those who were mingling amongst the herd. Thank you for opening up your farm and allowing those of us from as far away as Florida to meet animals we would not have gotten the chance to see otherwise.

Staff is very informative and professional and focused on safety. Awesome experience feeding the reindeer and great choices for gifts/souvenirs. Staff gladly help with free photo ops and there is complimentary feed for the chickens.

We had so much fun at the reindeer farm. Informative talk followed by time in the reindeer pen. Got to feed, pet and take pictures with the reindeer. So much fun to see the new babies! Highly recommend.

Plenty of ample parking - 2 Handicapped spots. They had a golf cart to bring us down to the area. The tour guide spoke for 20 mins - very clear on the history, safety, etc. We sat on benches. If you need back support - prepare for that. Loved seeing the reindeer, farm cats, chickens, rooster (that rooster was spectacular to look at), ponies, and bunny rabbits. The staff were very friendly and kind. After petting, they had hand wash stations with two portapotties. The gift shop is amazing with several clothing products, Christmas items, etc etc. MUST reserve ahead of time - very popular tourist attraction!

My daughter and I go multiple times a year since it's only a couple hour drive. We love seeing the farm grow and the love the family puts into making the farm enjoyable for the animals first and the visits second.
The way the farm has grown and continues to grow only makes it better for everyone. This is a must do event for us whenever we are in Leavenworth!

We visited without children and had a great time learning about the reindeer. We were able to get inside the pen to touch and feed the deer. There snout was soft as they ate from my hand. We were lucky to see 3 day old babies during the visit. I highly recommend.

My boyfriend and my sister and I visited yesterday and had a great experience! The owners’ daughter gave the intro and tour and I thought her reindeer facts were super interesting for both kids and adults! We really enjoyed our time there and the staff was also super helpful / funny, especially Nick. Everyone seemed very professional and like they really cared for every animal there. Would definitely recommend visitors to check it out, feeding the reindeer was really fun!

What a great time we had!! They were so accommodating to all, had sanitizers stations, When I booked this I didn't know that they had a Santa tours, but this was our only open day. So I asked if Santa would be there they responded with we'll see if he's available as he was getting ready for Christmas. What a wonderful surprise he was able to take time out of his busy schedule to come. he took pictures with the grandkids and his reindeer. We were so lucky to have that experience this year when life has been so crazy, THANK YOU soooo much reindeer farm family. And thank you for taking good care of Santa's reindeer.

This was such a great experience for two adults. The guy giving the talk was so engaging and had a great sense of humor. So many interesting facts about reindeer.....then.... feeding, petting and hanging with the reindeer was absolutely magical. Such calm beautiful animals! Loved it. Excellent facilities and staff from start to finish. Hoping to bring family next year!!!

Wow! What an epic experience! This ended up being the highlight of our trip! Feeding the reindeer was magical! The gift shop is first-rate and the fall weather made everything seem even more beautiful. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! We plan to return in 2025!

My wife and I visited the reindeer farm this week and it blew our minds. The introduction to reindeer "lesson" was thorough professional and entertaining. It is obvious these animals are well cared for and loved. Meeting the reindeer was surreal. They are beautiful, smart and naughty. It was a priviledge being in their company. Would love to go back to see the Northern Lights dome when it is up and running. Highly recommend visting the farm.

This is a very professional, informative and enjoyable tour. The family is so knowledgeable and caring of the reindeer, who are the stars of the tour.

This was the sole reason we traveled to Leavenworth it did not disappoint. We made an appointment on line several months ago as they are required. We arrived at 1015 for a 1030 reservation and was taken across the family owned farm to a coveted area with a tv. We got a brief history from one of the owners then watched an informational 8 minute video on reindeer. After that we had a 5 minute safety briefing and then moved to the reindeer pens. There were 2 areas, the main pen where most people went then there was Cupid corner which is an area small kids and those with mobility or sensory issues could go. My wife was in a wheelchair so we opted for this area because the reindeer are smaller and easier to be around. We received a cup of food and into the pen we went with about 8-10 reindeer. Elsa was the biggest but the rest were smaller and loved eating the food out of your hand. The only issue we had was Elsa who had a large set of horns did scrape my wife’s cheek as she was trying to get to the food and my wife pulled her hand back. We were supposed to have 20 minutes but we were never rushed and had a great time. As we left the enclosure there were 2 large males just lying in the grass, Sven and his son Moonshine. We pet them and they were very docile and didn’t seem to mind at all. This was an absolutely fantastic trip and we will return.

My wife and I recently had the joy of visiting the farm. Not only did we learn how amazing these animals are, we also got to walk among them and feed them. Thanks to precise safety instructions and staff monitoring, we felt very safe with the reindeer. There is a separate area so that small children can also have an up close time with several of the animals. The owners, their family and staff seem to deeply care for the herd AND the farm is immaculate. An onsite gift shop was very interesting - we bought gifts for the grand kids. The cat, chickens, turkeys and horses also kept us amused prior to the tour. It was a great experience and highly recommended !

Incredible experience! The education about reindeer is so thorough and well done (they are now —hands down— my favorite animal), the staff (family run operation) was so kind and enthusiastic, and we actually each got to FEED THE REINDEER!!! Who gets to experience that!!!!!???!? I am still reveling on cloud 9 from this amazing day.

We really enjoyed our tour of the farm. It was ver informative and the reindeer were so cool! Would recommend to anyone visiting Leavenworth.

That this might have been a little touristy but we were amazed at these reindeer. Learned a lot about how they survive, proper safety guides when around them. Plenty of staff around if you had any questions or pictures

We have been going for years as a family experience & have truly enjoyed our visits. I look forward to it every year. This year though, may have been our last. We have a young child now & the last 2 years we've been able to go into the main area with all of the reindeer as a family & enjoy the experience together. Usually able to get a nice family photo with just reindeer & not 20 other strangers in our photo. Now they only let the kids go into a small area with baby reindeer with ALL of the kids & their families. Very crowded & everyone was trying to feed 3 reindeer. Since I have a child with us we didn't get to go explore the main area where all of the reindeer are. It's just not the same wandering in there alone while husband went out & waited with our daughter. It seemed way more crowded & rushed. I wasn't able to get any decent photos due to being so crowded. Families with kids who are only able to stay in small area with baby reindeer should have a much cheaper price.

This was so fun and informative, the caretakers were so friendly. I'd definitely recommend especially if you have kids.

I came from Rhode Island to visit this reindeer farm in October 2019, I loved it so much, I came back in October 2021. The family who own this farm is so friendly, informative and charming. The reindeer are magical and well worth the trip. The drive there is beautiful and we loved the village nearby. The animals are healthy, happy and friendly. An absolutely delightful day. I can’t wait to return with my grandchildren.

It was informative teaching about reindeer.
Fun feeding the many reindeer they had.
You could pet bunnies, feed chickens, see turkeys, horses and pigs.
The thing that stuck out to me was the helpfulness and friendliness of EVERYONE who worked there ! I can’t remember going anywhere where the staff was so nice.
We never felt rushed when feeding the animals.
They were very helpful to take our family picture by the horse drawn carriage and reindeer.
The gift shop was very nice too.
I am thankful we went here !

The entire farm is amazing! The staff is kind and welcoming. The meet and greet with the reindeer is the best. The staff will take pictures for you and guide you to the best area to meet a reindeer. Also the education part of the experience is wonderful. After your visit with the reindeer be sure to stop at the snack shack and have some lefse and hot cider. It was delicious.

Absolutely wonderful place. Staff were really nice, and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed it so much! The photos with the reindeer turned out awesome! This was by far the best part of our trip.
Thank you
Connie Williams

We had an amazing time with the reindeer. What a beautiful, clean and well kept farm. We learned so much and safety was first and foremost for the animals and the visitors. Our tour was moved earlier to compensate for heat. The experience of feeding reindeer was a thrilling frenzy! We appreciated the staff's interaction with us and offering to take our pictures. The area for children under 8 to be with a few less reindeer was appreciated by someone who works with small children. The farm had other well taken care of animals, including farm cats, chickens, a turkey and ponies. The gift shop seemed a bit pricy but you were paying for quality. There were many lovely items to purchase. I left with a beautiful tee-shirt and a Christmas ornament. There is a sweet concession area with lots of goodies. I will be back, absolutely no doubt. Thank you, Leavenworth Reindeer Farm!

Learning about, being among and feeding these magnificent animals. Every one in the Pacific Northwest should go visit this farm! The love for these animals that the employees show will have you feeling the same when you depart.

Great visit and very interesting the reindeer were great eating out of your hand and let you pet them. The folks there were awesome to deal with and teach you all about the reindeer

Without question, this attraction is my daughter and my favorite thing to do when I'm Leavenworth. We go multiple times a year since they opened and live it more and more each time.
Our trip last weekend was even more fun because, although we love Hans and his presentation, for the first time, we got to listen to his daughter Erika give the pre tour presentation and she did a great job while her parents were with their pregnant draft house on birthing duty. 5*s to Erika!
This family loves their Reindeer like family and it shows. We've watch the farm grow over the years and can't wait for the new dome to complete.
Once in the pen with the Reindeer, it's such a magical experience to be side by side with such amazing animals. If you're bringing little ones, they will love it, but you do have to pay attention to the safety briefing and realize they are animals. As long a you do what they advise in the safety briefing, you'll have the time of your life. Feeding the Reindeer from the palm of my hand is always exhilarating. You do have to be aware of the antlers. If you pay attention and watch your kids, it will be amazing.
I love looking at the pictures we've gotten through the years, it's so great to see the Reindeer grow from babies to huge reindeer. Can't wait to go back in April/May to see the 2023 additions. The babies are always adorable and curious!
Always remember to plan ahead and book your tickets before you come. They can book up 30-60 days in advance.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
My almost 3 year old loved it! Besides the reindeers they gave chickens, ponys and a Turkey. We enjoyed our visit.

An amazing up close experience…friendly and knowledgeable staff. We absolutely loved this experience! 10/10 recommend!

What a wonderful experience! We had never seen reindeer up close and personal. Firstly the staff was great, answering questions I’m sure they’ve been asked hundreds of times, smiles all around.
The pens were so clean with people sweeping up fresh scat all the time. The reindeer will eat right out of your hand!
Everyone should go and experience this farm, simply breath taking!

2024 visit: I came for the 6:30 pm tour. I was surprised there was no feeding the chickens but maybe they do not eat late at night. There was a good video explaining the interesting characteristics of the reindeer and introducing you to the family members. I thought it was a good upgrade. Instead of passing around reindeer antlers, there was a large rack on a picnic table you could touch. The daughter gave the safety briefing and handed out willow leafy branches. I had a lot of fun feeding a young reindeer, medium, and then a really big one. Keep your arm extended to avoid getting bumped by the antlers. We did not receive the cup of food, so I missed feeling their gentle lips taking the pellets from my hand.
2023 visit:
A wonderful, special, bucket list experience to feed and pet big and baby reindeer, chickens, and turkeys for children and adults! This is a family owned reindeer farm and all the animals looked well cared for and healthy healthy.
There is a gentle hill down to the farm. Staff can take you down/up in a golf cart if you need it. The porta potty bathroom is located to the right of the food stand and to the left and side of the gift shop.
We could feed the chickens and turkeys from red bowls with a variety of food. Our tour started, and the young man said we could feed them when we got back.
We walked to a covered pavilion and sat on benches for the fun, educational reindeer talk. The farm was created by a family in 2016 with 6 Alaskan reindeer. The mother who usually gives the talk was away on a well deserved vacation with her husband, and her daughter did an excellent job being funny, enthusiastic, and teaching us about reindeer, caribou, and the farm. As an adult with no kids, I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and being able to hold and touch reindeer antlers from a one to three year old. "
There is a Cupid's Corner area for children (under a certain height) or anyone who does not feel comfortable in an open pen with the big reindeer. Smaller reindeer are inside and others can be fed through the wire mesh. We all went inside for reindeer pictures taken with our own cameras.
Before we entered the pen, we were given a branch with leaves (reindeer do love their leafy greens!) and a cup filled with food that we could pour in the palm of our hand for soft lip nuzzles and eating. The reindeer were more gentle eating from my hand than family dogs. You need to stretch your arm out to feed them, since both male and female reindeer have antlers that need space. You are not allowed to touch the antlers, but you can pet the reindeer.
I got to feed huge Sven, one of their original reindeer, and one of their newest, a 9 week old baby reindeer. It was a thoroughly fun experience, and I can't wait to do it again.
The gift shop has a lot of interesting items from reindeer antler keychains, bottle openers, and marshmallow roasting forks from antlers that were shed to a variety of gifts, including Christmas items. I went to feed the chickens after the shopping.
I stopped at the Blitzen Brew food stand and potato lefse (Norwegian flat bread made by the grandpa) available in an an Alaskan reindeer sausage form (The Hans) or vegetarian version (The Olaf). The reindeer sausage is from Alaska where reindeer are raised for meat, since cows don't do well there. I never would have ordered if it were made from the Leavenworth reindeer, but I felt like thoroughly experiencing reindeer inside and out that day. The reindeer sausage was juicy and surprisingly really good, like a fat beef sausage with some spices, but not hot. It was better than your normal bratwurst or hot dog; I will probably get it again when I come back. The Olaf was two small potato lefses with butter and cinnamon sugar inside.
All in all with the tour, shopping, and feeding the chickens, I was there from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm for the 10:30 am Friday tour. Once you go on the reindeer tour, you can receive a lifetime discount code (get a card in the gift shop) for 20% off future reindeer tours for returning guests.

You can actually go into the pen and interact with the reindeer. So up close and personal. The farm is beautiful, the animals well cared for, and the gift shop fantastic. We loved the whole experience! So unique and one you won’t forget!

This was one of the funnest things I've done with my kids. We learned some cool things about reindeer and best of all, we got to see babies! The owners of the farm are so kind and welcoming and you can just tell that they love what they do.

Informative talk to begin. Kinda cool to walk about and feed the reindeer.
Lots of shopping opportunities.
Pictures with Santa.
Very friendly staff.
Well worth the time and cost to visit.

This was a great experience for the kids. The presentation was well done and the hands on feeding of the reindeer was great!

We went to Leavenworth Washington for a vacation, and saw an ad for the Reindeer Farm, the staff was wonderful!! We had a wheelchair mishap, and they not only hauled my up the hill to my car, but gave us information to help get my chair fixed, saving our vacation! And the reindeer were fantastic! A must see for any visitor!

What a fun experience! Very impressed with this family run business. The reindeer farm was clean, organized and the tour and animals fantastic. You could touch and feed the reindeers. They are such a beautiful, magical animal. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place! It’s great for people if all ages.

We absolutely loved this . The staff all consists of one big family and the atmosphere is beyond Christmassy . The animals are super well taken care off and loved . The gift store is adorable . Highly recommend

We had a GREAT time at the reindeer farm! It was educational and the animals were very sweet and friendly, staff was knowledgeable and safety was always the most important thing. It was our first time at the reindeer farm and we will definitely be back! A must see if you are visiting leavenworth! Oh and food and drinks were delicious also! Super fute gift shop too!!!!

This is a must-do experience! We were here last November, and came now specifically to see the babies with are born in March and April. We saw the 10 babies born so far this year. More to come. They are adorable and curious. Some actually come up to you, walking away from their moms.
We are not allowed to follow them, but if they come up independently it's ok.
Two were staring fixedly through the open mesh fence into the chicken yard. An employee told us that when the chickens get out, the babies chase them like mad and give them a bad time. Of course, the chickens can fly, showing the reindeer how to do it! ;-)
The males are in velvet now, having dropped their antlers last fall after the rut. Females keep theirs until after the babies come, so they can defend them if necessary. SO all of Santa's reindeer are females...even Rudolf.
You learn a great deal with the 16 min. video at the beginning. God's design is fantastic, even having eye changes in winter that allow them to see in infrared like butterflies do! Helps them avoid predators, and find food (lichen etc) under the snow,

Great place to visit with family. There are chickens, bunnies, and even kitties roaming around. The Reindeers are very cool to learn about and are super cute to feed.

One of the highlights of our trip! The family does a great job sharing their farm with the public. You can tell they take pride in their business and care about the animals. While you may think this is an activity for children, my fiancé and I really enjoyed it ourselves. I would definitely go back!

An absolute must see. Great for adults and children. We loved every second of the tour. Very informative and professional as well.

First time going to the farm. Very neat place overall. Festive feeling! Music playing. Staff were friendly, check-in was quick, tour started on time and was informative yet fun. They have a large gift shop with lots of souvenirs to choose from but they are pricey. We went on Valentine’s Day and it had snowed so it was a perfect setting! You are allowed in the fenced area with the reindeer. You can take as many pictures as you want. You get one very small cup of food to feed the reindeer, most of them will not eat from your hand but you can find the ones who will and it is so cute. Their noses are super soft and furry! You are not allowed to pet most of the reindeer (the reindeer just don’t like it) but an employee will hold one by the reins for a photo-op. There are a couple reindeer who don’t mind their back being petted and an employee can point them out to you. You will get a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows after you leave the farm (back in the parking lot at the stand where you check-in). Make sure to stir the hot chocolate well because it is just a packet and all the powdered chocolate was stuck in the bottom. But it was a nice touch at the end! Overall it was a great outing that I would recommend to friends and family for a short ‘adventure’ while staying in Leavenworth.

I hadn't been since 2019 and wow have they done a lot of renovations and landscaping that are absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed the talk portion as always. The store area is now massive so lots to choose from. It is so great to be able to hand feed the babies. This family run farm is amazing and I’m hopeful that when I come again they will have their permits for their 360 experience.

This was my second time going to the Reindeer Farm. I loved seeing all the bunnies and chickens as we were not able to feed or pet them the first time I went. Seeing all the baby reindeers were so cute and I love how much you can interact with them. This is definitely a must when going to Leavenworth! The gift shop is super cute too! I highly recommend everyone to go.

An absolute must place to visit while in Leavenworth, WA! We could have spent all day there. Well Done!! ( :

Always the most friendly staff eager to help. And the experience of a lifetime! Carriage ride is a must!

Absolutely put this in the travel plans when you are anywhere near Leavenworth. The whole experience is worth the visit, and great memories to be made. The farm is family run, and they are all so accommodating, informed, and helpful.

The whole experience was 30 minutes with half of it being a video. We had to go to Cupid’s corner because we have a young child - which should be the “most gentle” reindeer. We got 5 minutes with the babies because they get anxious being away from the heard.. for $40/per person (even the 4 y/o) it felt like a rip off. It was cool to get to see the reindeer but we had such a brief interaction and did not live up to expectations.

What a magical day! From the moment you walk into the farm, you can feel the love and respect the entire team has for these beautiful animals and the guests. We never stopped smiling from the time we got there until we went to bed at night. Feeding, petting and learning about the reindeer and the farm will be something I never forget. This is a must do!

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm is 100% worth the visit. I expected to feed and pet the reindeer, which was super fun, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience as a whole. The family put a lot of work into providing a fun and engaging educational session prior to entering the reindeer pen. I was super pleased with it! They’re building a new exhibit that mimics the norther lights, so we’ll definitely be back when that’s completed. Probably sooner so we can see the babies!

In all of our family travels, this was maybe our favorite place we’ve gone. It was beautiful, fun, and the reindeer were amazing!!! Best day ever!

What a fun experience we had at the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm. I loved the introduction that we got from a daughter of the owners...it's a family owned farm. She was so enthusiastic, so welcoming, so engaging, so intelligent about reindeer, and she was so darned funny! Who knew that Reindeer were so interesting???!!! Then we spend time with the reindeer, petting them, feeding, having pictures taken with them. What a treat that was! I'll definitely go back and will bring friends!

A very unique and interesting experience. The staff first gave a movie presentation and then later presented visitors with fronds of willow tree. Then we were taken into and enclosure to let the reindeer feed. The owner also spoke more about the farm and how they are increasing the numbers of deer.

What a fun adventure. The family ran business is so well thought out and being with the reindeer was a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend going!

every animal looks well loved and taken care of! Highly recommend taking the family and checking it out!

Took the kids and had a wonderful time. Kids enjoyed feeding and petting the reindeer. The best part was seeing the babies as one of them was only four days old. Staff was friendly, would recommend going we are already planning another trip in the winter.

Such a fun place! There were over 30 reindeer for us to feed, pet, and take lots of pictures with. The video we saw at the beginning of the tour was fun and gave us lots of information. The farm is continuing to grow. I come about twice a year and every time there is something new to enjoy.

It was a Wonderful experience. The family run company is well worth visiting. I would definitely come back again. loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a truly enchanting experience! If you're visiting Leavenworth, make sure to book your reservations early. We’re excited to return in December to enjoy this stunning location again, with the reindeer being the highlight. The family running the farm treats you like one of their own, and feeding the reindeer was a memorable moment. Can’t wait for our next trip!

The farm is a great place to visit!. The experience was wonderful for me and my parents, who are in their 80s. My mom has mobility issues, and the staff graciously shuttled her to the presentation spot and the reindeer pens. She was so pleased to be able to see and feed the reindeer. A wonderful way to make memories together!

It was really cool learning about the reindeer and being able to experience them up close! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tons of photo ops everywhere. Clean and very professional.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I have been twice and both times, the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The reindeers are stunning in person and very friendly!! We were lucky enough to come on a day when there were 3 baby reindeers. I highly recommend this place!

We had a great time. The staff were extremely caring and informative. They made our time so much fun. The animals were very gentle and well groomed. The tour was so full of educational information. Great job by everyone.

What a wonderful experience! They gave us a branch and food to feed the reindeers, and the staff let us know which reindeer is available for the photo. They take pic for you with your phone and don’t make money doing a “souvenir photo”which was nice. All staff was genuinely nice. My 5 year old was more excited about the play area outside of the reindeer gate and the Blippi photo at the gift shop. :) (you can bring a stroller.) Chickens and bunnies were at the front yard. There was complimentary food to feed the chickens and lemonade for us. It was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to anyone visit Leavenworth!

This was such a cool experience! I actually taste it an 11 on a scale of 10! We're learned so much from the man that talked to us prior to entering the reindeer area. It was understand having reindeer breathe in my ear! Our granddaughter even loved feeding the chickens!

Great setup, informative video, friendly staff, and beautiful reindeer. Will visit again next time we're in the area.

As far as I'm aware, this is the only reindeer farm in the area.
Our tickets were for a Monday at 10am (but it was MLK Jr. Day so still plenty of people). They open at 10am and when we got there around 9:48am, the gate was still closed. They opened it around 9:50am. Immediately when you walk in, there's a place to get your wristbands (you don't wear them but instead use them as sorta tickets to give to the person at the bottom of the (paved) hill).
They don't want you going to see any sheep or goats prior (we went to Eagle Creek Ranch the day before but they don't have sheep or goats) but they have you step through a soap mixture prior. This was in the winter time so we all had boots on - I don't know what that looks like in the summertime. There's a shop, with sides open to the elements, that you can shop around before or after seeing the reindeer. If your kids like Blippi, there's a signed picture hanging on the wall of him!
The gentleman giving our schpiel had a funny, sorta dry sense of humor. He mentioned that where we were sitting was the future site of some cool building where there would be an audio schpiel, not a person. Thankfully, our day had great weather so it wasn't an issue but I can imagine any reprieve from the elements on a windy, rainy, snowy, cold, etc. day would be welcome.
Anyway, they tell jokes, pass around giant antlers, give a rundown on reindeer/their farm and then go over the safety brief. It's quick and with two small toddlers, I got a little anxious we were going to mess up in there (spoiler: nothing happened). I don't think the whole thing lasted all that long but I had to appease my monsters/kids with animal crackers before the end. Despite there being plenty of seating, there were a bunch of people who opted to stand in the back/sides which is probably better if you have kids so they can move around a tiny bit.
As you're walking into the reindeer area, they hand out little cups of food. The food goes QUICKLY. Like they say in the brief, don't jerk your hand with the food back towards you because those large heads with large antlers will just follow the food. So the reindeer commandeer the cups within 1-2 seconds.
I saw everyone being very respectful of the reindeer/animals and the staff were so nice. Like, gleefully catching chickens for the kids to pet, talking about the brother turkeys & joyfully handling the reindeer so people could get treasured pictures taken. Like, whether these staff love their job or not, they at least outwardly act like this is an awesome job and I appreciated that. I heard so many staff, while walking around, say, "oh, here, let me take that picture for you!"
I think you only get 10-15 minutes with the reindeer and you can see the next group wrapping up their schpiel, prepping to come in next. I kinda wanted to stay longer but I was also ready to go as well. You enter in one gate and exit out the other. The exit takes you down a one-way path near the meeting point for the next tour.
To be honest, unless they recognized you, I don't know how they could keep people from joining another tour. I'm not saying you should do it but it was just a general observation I made.
If you're allergic, we did see some cats walking around (super friendly though).

This was a great little getaway for us. We haven't done much traveling since the pandemic started and this was our first little adventure on about a 1/2 hour from home. It was a way to get away from everything if only for about an hour. The reindeer are fun to interact with and being able to feed them is fun. The babies are adorable and fun to see them interact with their moms and the other reindeer.

We loved seeing all the animals, especially the baby reindeer! Super friendly staff and and we had a fantastic time!

We had the best time! Everyone was so nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. We got a real hands on experience and my kids were over the moon about getting to feed and touch the reindeer. The complimentary hot chocolate at the end of the tour was an awesome touch as well.

This place was great! I enjoyed every moment here. This activity and place is worth every dime. The reindeer are so cool. Growing up in the mountains and seeing every animal there is to see has been superb for me. But, to actually be up and super close to a reindeer has been a moment I will not forget soon. They are to me a mystical creature. The little movie was excellent and the staff are super friendly! Would I stop by in the future to see the reindeer again. Most definitely!

It was fun to come and see reindeers. They give you one branch and some one tiny container to feed them so if you get a tiny branch you are out of luck. A nice little gift shop. They have a short presentation which they also try to scare you about an RCW as far as safety claims but that RCW does not apply to Reindeers. Also has a cute gift shop.

No issues as a wheelchair user and I had a blast!!! Staff was extremely supportive and helpful without hovering. The tour is really wonderful, even in the summer. You learn a lot in the short but informative overview before going in to feed the Reindeer and you'll immediatley fall in love with the gentle animals. I was able to get everywhere I wanted to go, there's some gravel and dirt (so plan ahead with gloves or freewheels if you have them) and there is a short but steep hill from the ticket counter which there's plenty of helpful staff and multiple ways to get you down and up. Don't miss out on the short but amazing experience.

Friendly, knowledgeable, interactive. The staff was accommodating and the tour was informative. Hand feeding reindeer was a cool experience.

We’ve been here a few times over the years but first time since Covid. There have been nice improvements to the pre- tour setup and everyone we interacted with was very nice and informative.

Our family had so much fun that we decided to go back the next day!
We learned a lot about reindeer. How fast their antlers grow, how long they live, what they eat, where they live. The best part was being able to get in with the reindeers and to be able to feed them.
The family was really friendly and helpful in letting our 6 year old granddaughter get close to the Reindeer. The farm is very pretty, and there are lots of other animals there also - chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ponies and draft horses.

This family ran farm is an excellent stop to make. The reindeer are friendly and you get to be up front and personal with these animals. Great photo opportunity too!

My friend and I are both in our 50s and when I received a text from her asking if I was interested in visiting the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, which I had never heard of before, I took a look at the website and was an an immediate YES! I knew that the experience would include feeding the reindeer and getting the privilege of interacting with these majestic creatures, but I had no idea of the true magic that this place has to offer! After parking the car, we could hear "Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music" playing over the loudspeaker, the trees were all abundant in their fall beauty, and you can't beat the mountainous surroundings! Not only did we get to spend time with the reindeer, but we also were given a fascinating lesson on their capabilities and abilities to adapt to all sorts of weather conditions. Plus, there's a cute little outdoor cafe that serves all sorts of nummies, including lefse, which I tried for the first time, and now know it will not be the last. Every moment spent there was an absolute joy! I simply cannot imagine what it must be like for a child to visit in the wintertime, meeting Santa, interacting with his reindeer while standing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate. I would love to go back!

We learned alot about reindeer and had alot of fun feeding them. They are adorable sweet critters. They are well cared for.

The staff is very friendly. They educate you about reindeer as well as giving you the opportunity to feed and pet them. They had other animals to visit with as well. The reindeer are so adorable! I look forward to going back once their dome is done.

After vsiting the Leavenworth Reindeer farm, I was impressed by how well taken care of all the animals were. From the reindeer, the chickens, the bunnies, the horses, the turkey and the pig. The owners Hans and Kari are so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about reindeer. The tour was amazing. It was fun to get to feed the reindeer and take pictures.. my kids fell in love with the tour. This is a MUST thing to do if you are in Leavenworth, WA.

My husband & I just visited a few days ago and what an amazing place!! The family was friendly, knowledge and so organized. The place was clean and getting to interact with the reindeer was such a unique and unforgettable experience!
The only part that was a little odd was we had 5:00pm tickets and we did arrive early but the gates were closed and the sign just said closed- I yelled at someone inside the fence and she said gates open 30 minutes prior to your ticket time. Maybe we just hit a slow time of the year but that part was a little unclear and no signs to tell you

The Reindeer farm gets better every year we visit! This is one of our most anticipated trips of the year, and we love to see how this gets bigger and better every year!

The people are always knowledgeable about reindeer and always delightful. They are more than happy to share their experiences with the reindeer, university of Alaska, Washington State University and any of the 50 reindeer farms around the country. Erica is particularly high on any ratings scale. We try to go to every year (we got snowed out last year). From youngsters to the elderly it is enjoyed by all. And you get to feed the reindeer! They are friendly and patient. By all means, I highly recommend it!

You get a little knowledge session at first. We sat around a fire. They have a cute gift shop. You go on and feed the reindeer. They also have chickens and turkeys.

What a unique experience! I am a Veterinarian and this was the first time I have ever touched a reindeer! Very fun with a good informative slideshow to start off. You can tell they are very well loved and very well cared for.

This was so much fun! We have a 5 year old and a 14 year old. We all enjoyed it. You will learn so many cool thing about reindeer (they are amazing animals!)

Our visit to the reindeer farm was a highlight of our trip. The staff, animals, and property were a 10! We (2 adults) were able to get wonderful pictures with the reindeer and around the beautifully decorated property. The gift shop had wonderful treats that we bought as memorable souvenirs and Christmas presents. We would recommend this farm to children and adults of all ages!

We had given our 2 adult kids, their spouses and their 5 kids (ages 7-13) a trip to the Reindeer Farm for Christmas 2019, and they all agreed they wanted to wait till Spring when the babies were born to go. Unfortunately Covid-19 came and shut things down, so we had to wait till Spring 2021 to go. We went on Mother's Day and had a great time. The family that runs the business is very friendly and it is in a beautiful setting and obviously very well cared for. They were very accommodating and understanding when part of our group of eleven were delayed in arriving, and they kindly offered to move us to the next available time slot with no extra charge. You can't ask for anything more!( We actually didn't have to do that since they arrived just in the nick of time and they graciously allowed us to go in our original time slot.) You will love the very informative and funny presentation about the reindeer during the tour. The babies were adorable, and everyone had fun feeding the animals and watching them mingle with the visitors. Don't miss out on this delightful experience!

Very enjoyable and educational. Learned many things about reindeer. Able to pet and feed the reindeer. Great friendly staff. Had a delicious treat called “lefse” the cafe truck, apparently a Norwegian treat. Beautiful gift shop also.

The reindeer farm was terrific. The animals were beautiful and the staff was great ! Our family loved the farm and the entire experience!

Five stars for this experience! Once in a lifetime! I love supporting a small family business anytime & the staff was super nice! Super knowledgeable and informative about the reindeer they had on site. Tons of great photo opportunities and an adorable gift shop.

Delightful and educational visit for our group of seven aged 3-70. This place is family owned, operated and well cared for. We were able to interact with a herd of reindeer safely for both us and the reindeer. The grounds were lovely and everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. We would love to visit again.

Our whole family loved it 😍 This family run farm is very educational, well-run and most of all very enjoyable!! The reindeers were so much fun to feed and pet!! I would highly recommend a visit We plan to return next time we are in Washington.

We visited the reindeer farm in the summer and it was amazing. The staff was excellent. We got to feed and pet the reindeer! Also there were the little babies to see as well.
I would totally go again. Will probably do a winter visit next time with the kids!
Great experience!

I had the best time at the Reindeer Farm! Learned about reindeer and then was able to feed and mingle with them. A must do experience when in Leavenworth!

This place was nice the only problem was that they did not enforce people to ware masks. They let in two different families one with two people the other with 5 people and none of them were wearing a mask. This made us very uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy the experience. We left early because of that. We were there on Dec 12th at noon many people were there but it only took a few to ruin the trip. We drove 150 miles to go there so it was a bust. when my wife asked why the would let people in without a mask there comment was we can't ask them if they have a medical condition. That was a bull crap answer. I can't believe that all seven people had any medical issues. So I would recommend if you want to stay safe then stay away from this place.

My wife was able to secure last minute reservations for our family to visit the reindeer farm. It ended up being a perfect snow dusted morning. We loved it's proximity to downtown, we felt completely safe, and we absolutely loved the setting. We adore that this is a hands on family owned and operated farm, with staff that wanted to be there. They were extremely thorough in their briefing before being near the reindeer to ensure everyone knew the expectations, but they emphasized that they want everyone to have a blast. We sure did! From the reindeer to the gift shop (which is absolutely stunning), to Santa, who literally was the kindest and most patient Santa we've ever met. He broke the ice with my almost 2 year old son immediately and it was great to capture those moments! Will absolutely be back!

We loved the Reindeer Farm! So many pretty opportunities for photos, and the reindeer experience was great. We'd go again

We had a fantastic time! An absolute must see if you ever find yourself in Leavenworth. The gift shop is charming with many quality souvenirs, the owners are delightful, and the reindeer are the most beautiful, magical creatures you'll ever encounter. Every November my family and I look forward to this one of a kind experience and we're never disappointed. It lives up to the hype.

This was an absolutly delightful experience. We weren't expecting how hands on or informative it would be. The owners obviously love their animals and have made it their mission to educate others about this breed. A great place to take kids and let them pet the smaller animals that are also there as well as interact with the reindeer. We truly, truly enjoyed ourselves!

Fun experience! Extra special to see the babies! Right outside the center if town so only took us five minutes to get there

My family of 5 had so much fun! You never know how it will go with a 6, 4 and 2 year old, but this place was clean and very well run. Minimal waiting and a fantastic and engaging staff. The animals were friendly and seemed very well cared for. 10/10.

What a wonderful experience for all ages. Very informative education on reindeer, very interactive experience in the reindeer enclosure with plenty of photo opportunities. The staff are super friendly and helpful. This tour is a must if you are visiting Leavenworth.

Even in the pouring rain, we had such a good experience. Reindeer were friendly and lovable. We will definitely be going back!

The reindeer farm was so much fun. We were able to get inside of the reindeer fence and feed the reindeer out of our hands. Lots of good information about reindeers was shared with us in a very entertaining manner as we started the tour. The people who work on the farm are very knowledgeable & extremely friendly. This was such an enjoyable experience. I cannot say how much we enjoyed our experience. Simply stated, it was excellent.

This is not just for children. My wife and I are 75 years young and we both had a great time. It is very educational, but also fun, fun, fun. Being able to actually interact with the reindeer and hand feed them is special. The visit is enhanced by the owners and staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. We had smiles on our faces for the entire 400 mile drive back home. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. So enjoyable!

This was the highlight of our trip! While very family friendly, this is an experience suitable for all ages/group sizes. The family running the farm is so friendly and very knowledgeable about their animals. The reindeer are beautiful and getting to be in the same space as them is just wonderful. Lots of other animals too, and a cute gift shop. We went in July and they had young babies and the adults in full velvet. It was a wonderful place and we plan to go back our next trip to Leavenworth!

Visiting the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm was a wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations. The presentation about reindeer with actual antlers for show and tell was super informative and left us in awe regarding how special reindeer are. It was a unique experience to feed the gentle giants in their pen where they free roamed amongst us. Especially touching was seeing the loving respectful relationship the three generations of this family had with their herd.

I was expecting it to be touristy, but I actually thought it was very informative and fun. Would recommend to any age group. Learned a lot about reindeer and got to pet one too!

Beat experience ever! Highly recommended to anyone wanting to get that Christmas experience. The staff was friendly and insightful. The tour was awesome and my wife being a die hard born and raised New Yorker was like a little girl experiencing Christmas for the first time! This will become an annual staple for us.

My daughter and I visited for our first time during Memorial Day weekend to see the new babies at the farm. It was really cool, and definitely worth the visit. The chickens and turkeys were roaming in the yard and my daughter loved feeding them and petting the cats while we waited for our tour. We learned a lot about reindeer and will plan to return.

They walk right up to you, sniffing and gently lip-lifting feed from your outstretched hand.
They, having always been treated kindly, do not fear us; rather prefer the security of their own kind by instinct.
Be aware of the magnificent antlers.
And I think to myself- what a wonderful world ( Bob Thiele)

My husband and I got to experience the Reindeer farm in Jan 2024. It was such a magical day. We first went and listened to a video on some extras about the reindeer that not a lot of us know about. Did you know they can run faster then cars? I sure did not. After this tutorial we then got to go and feed them. They were a rascally bunch. LOL. They definitely look forward to seeing people and munching. It was such a great experience even as an adult. Would recommend this to anyone in that area. A must do!

This was an awesome experience.... Don't believe the 5 or 6 negative reviews posted here. It only proves you can't please everyone. We found the staff, primarily family, cordial and helpful. Good general information about 10 minutes... I learned a lot I didn't know about Reindeer. Then a safety lesson and off to the Reindeer. There was no rush, you were allowed all the time you wanted to feed and pet them. Staff was very willing to take pictures and answer any additional questions. The food and beverage stand was well stocked and very tasty... The gift shop had lots of souvenirs to choose from... We found the Reindeer Farm one of our favorite experiences in Leavenworth.

Not worth the money omg. Wasting time with a long video of fun facts while youre freezing outside then youre given a small cup to feed the reindeer that restaurants put sauces in. They also have a cafe/small food truck but nowhere to wash your hands from the slobbery animals and everything is overpriced. You get about 20 minutes of actually being near the reindeer. Not worth it at allll it was such a waste of time and money

This was such a wonderful experience for my 85 year old mom, my aunt and myself! To see Reindeers and to be able to feed them and touch them. The babies were so cute. We also got to feed the chickens and pet the bunnies and learned a lot about reindeers! Great place to bring kids and grandkids.

This is a fun little animal experience, but the fact that it's advertised as a "tour" may be a bit disingenuous. We did learn some lovely details about reindeer, but this attraction is probably more directed at small kids (not a problem, simply an observation). I thought there might be more to it, but the "tour" consisted of a 15 minute spiel followed by a period in the reindeer enclosure where we got to feed them and interact a bit. The reindeer are really nice and we visited in the offseason so there weren't any antlers to contend with, but the guides were very helpful about instructing how to interact with the reindeer to stay safe. They were extremely docile and friendly, so safe even for the smallest kids. I'd recommend looking for a bogo code or "return visit" code, which they are pretty open with, as the full price feels a bit high for what you get. I would recommend visiting during your stay in Leavenworth if you're in for more than 1 day.

We had a wonderful time visiting the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm in June! The family that owns the farm and all of the staff were so nice and do a great job educating visitors on these beautiful animals. I was a little worried it wouldn't be as magical to visit in the summer time versus visiting in the winter but I was pleasantly surprised. The farm itself is beautiful and they do a great job creating a really wonderful experience. The farm is very close to the main part of town so it's super convenient to plan a visit while you're in town. We learned so much about reindeer and getting to be up close to them was so fun. Visiting in summer also meant that we got to see the new babies! I would definitely recommend making this a part of your Leavenworth trip.

This was above and beyond expectations. We had a lovely time and would like to visit again! The information at the beginning was both entertaining and we learned a lot! All of the animals were friendly and well-kept. When do you ever get to pet and hand-feed a baby reindeer?! It was magical

We really enjoyed our visit to the farm. Everyone was super friends and very informative. It was really cool to see all the reindeer and the babies.
The gift shop had lots to offer. You also get to feed the chickens, turkey and bunnies.
An experience you have t do!

This was way more fun that I was anticipating. I actually learned a lot and have a new appreciation for these incredible animals.
The experience was very well run and the staff were trained, practiced, and helpful.
I thought this would be a cute little thing and it was so much more. So happy we got to do this.

What a fun and educational experience. Went in unsure of what to expect and was extremely surprised by how much of a hands on encounter it was. Went in mid-May and got to meet the newest members of the herd who were just born. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, encouraging safe interaction with the reindeer.

Simply "Wonderful! We had the opportunity to visit the incredible" Reindeer Farm ". All very beautiful: Christmas setting with Christmas atmosphere, Christmas trees, Snowman, Horses, decorated buggies, talk around the campfire. But more it was amazing to walk among the reindeer and feed them in my hands. Indescribable experience !! At the end of the tour, we were able to taste delicious hot chocolate completely free of charge. I recommend this place 1000 times !! Thanks to all the team!

Fantastic for kids and adults. Cute animals, great snacks, convenient to downtown Leavenworth, and great photo ops with all the animals on the farm

We had an amazing time! With people and their reviews about COVID-19... you have some nerve. The farm is amazing and as accommodating as they can be with tours and the amount of people they allow. If you don’t feel safe, STAY HOME! We got an awesome intro by the owner with a good sense of humor and got to feed the reindeer. I posted about my experience on social media and 3 of my friends put it on their bucket list. If we come back, will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience💕💕

Amazing reindeer family farm. The reindeers were well cared for and our kids had a great time feeding them. Would have like more food to feed or maybe leaves as the little food cups got over quickly. All in all a great experience for the family. The little educational talk about the reindeers was very good. Thank you!

This tour was surprisingly fun and informative! Our little group ranged in age from 14 to 78 and we all loved it! If you plan on going in the fall, winter, or early spring, wear waterproof boots or shoes- because you’ll be stepping into the pin with the reindeer and it can get pretty squishy. The staff there really seem to love the animals and are happy to answer questions about each deer and their “quirks.” Bring extra money because their gift shop has a TON of cute items.

Look, people are super kind, considerate and spend time with animals, the reindeer, they have beautiful and nice horses. Petting and feeding the animals was fantastic.

This was an awesome experience. We learned about reindeer and even got to feed them. The staff was very helpful and made sure we didn’t get hard and let us pet certain reindeer that were use to touch. Really enjoyed the experience.

What a wonderful tour and experience! The tour started with a very informative session about the reindeer. We were than able to enter the pin, and then feed and pet the reindeer, which were all very gentle. There were also several baby reindeer, one as young as two days old. We are also able to enjoy many other animals on the farm, including chickens, turkeys, mini horses, and a huge horse. The kids (and parents) had a blast!

Highlight of our weekend! So fun hanging out with the reindeer, feeding/petting them, and just being up close in personal. Definitely a unique and super fun experience

Our first trip to Leavenworth was ended with a fun day Reindeer. My favorite part about this day was spending time with my family. Watching my 2 year old niece interact with the chickens and reindeer. Watching my granddaughter experience the excitement of feeding reindeer and petting her favorite Elsa!

We had such a great time!
Upon entering, you can grab yourself a warm drink and treat.
Stroll around the gift shop before and after for some very festive items.
I didn’t think an hour would be enough time with the Reindeer, but it was plenty.
Be sure to wear shoes that can get muddy.

Keep in mind that the reindeer are on sedatives to tolerate hands on human experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This was such a fun experience!! The farm was super clean and there were chickens, ponies and reindeer to see. I enjoyed the video, before our tour, that taught us a lot about Reindeer as well as preserving them. Feeding them is amazing! They are such beautiful animals! We really want to come back in the winter to see the farm. I highly recommend visiting!

This place was wonderful! I screwed up and thought our reservation was at a different time so we were super late but they worked their magic and accommodated our group. I was impressed by their smooth and efficient social-distancing and the entire staff was so knowledgeable about reindeer, we learned so much!! Everyone needs to visit the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, my 16 year old loved it and she hates everything. Also, Santa was incredibly kind and friendly.

Best reindeer experience ever!!! This reindeer farm is top notch. We had the best time feeding the reindeer and hanging out with them. The farm is beautiful, clean, wonderful gift shop and friendly workers. The workers/owners care so much about their reindeer and take such good care of them! We will definitely be back again!

The reindeer farm is a must. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There’s an 8 minute video that we watched prior and even with that short video, I learned a lot about reindeers. We really enjoyed meeting the reindeers and hand feeding them. We even get to pet some of them. Be sure to arrive at least 15 mins prior your scheduled time. There was a small snack bar inside the farm. We bought the olaf and hot apple ciders. Perfect combination. The souvenir shop has excellent selection. Thank you reindeer farm staff for making this trip memorable.

I stumbled upon this place when someone recommended that I visit Leavenworth. I didn't have expectations, but I am so glad I went. The family is really sweet and so are the reindeer. It's not just go and see. They do a wonderful and funny introduction. The reindeer were amazing. They do love a good snack, but they are gentle and sweet.

Such a unique experience seeing/feeding the reindeer and it was also very educational learning. We were so happy to catch the reindeer babies, especially the twins this year.
We had a wonderful time and it was amazing - I loved how this was a family business and we met many family members. The entire staff was incredibly kind and friendly, and you can tell how passionate they are about the farm. There's also other animals, a delicious cafe serving Norweigian food, and a wonderful gift shop with reindeer and Christmas items. HIGHLY recommend anyone coming to Leavenworth. Get tickets in advance!

This was amazing! So much info about reindeer I didn’t know and getting to be with them walking right up to you was such a cool experience. I thought it would only be fun for kids but my husband and I loved this. In my opinion a must see if you’re in Leavenworth. Not expensive and a great way to spend an hour or so.
Book ahead and only show up 10 minutes early or they might turn you away if the parking lot is full. Although we went a few days before Christmas so it may have been extra busy.

This was literally the main reason we booked our trip to Leavenworth. I couldn’t wait to see the baby reindeer. This farm was awesome. The owners are very helpful and informative.

It was a fun outing, We were able to learn about the reindeer and to interact with them. A very enjoyable time and highly recommend it.

Amazing experience. High recommend! Had so much fun! Definitely will go back! The reindeer were so cute and the staff was amazing!

If you are looking for a fun family experience with warm and friendly staff, this is NOT it. We went to Leavenworth Reindeer Farm in hopes of capturing beautiful photos and creating memorable memories with our group of 10. Well, this was memorable... but not in a good way. An older blonde lady by the name of Amy (in her 60's, brown overalls, wears a cap & glasses) is beyond rude, speaks to customers in such a condescending and demeaning way, we just could not believe it. One of our family members was feeding one of the reindeers and she quickly walked by yelling at her, "That is not how you feed the reindeers!! Were you not listening to instructions?!"
Her abrupt and condescending tone caught us off guard. There are ways to talk to your customers especially if you want them to return, which of course we will NOT be returning. Nor would we recommend this establishment to others - Not one bit.
Yelling at customers is beyond me. Another instance we were taken aback by Amy was when I was attempting to take a quick picture for a family ahead of us. Amy was the gate closer. She yelled at all of us, "Let's go NOW!" ... I asked her if I could please take one quick photo of the family (with their little kids). They were already posed in front of their Reindeer Farm sign right before entering in the gated area to see the reindeers. Amy snapped back, "No, let's go!".... so the family didn't get their one photo of the sign.
She ruined the experience for them as well and I was sad for them. One would think that posing in front of their "Leavenworth Reindeer Farm" is good advertisement for them also, but guess AMY didn't think so.
So, you come in. Listen to Hans, the speaker/owner for about 30-40 mins, you get to see the reindeers for about 10 mins. Expect your kids to kind of lose it at this point. It's cold, could barely hear him.... and once we are in to see the reindeers, it's over just like that. Is it worth the money that we spent. NO.
Also, when reading reviews on here, please filter low rating comments first. You will see how this establishment responds to feedbacks. It speaks volumes about their place. They often respond in a sarcastic and rude manner. Asking for people to take it up with Santa & saying, "Oh, you must not like reindeers." They obviously cannot take constructive criticism.
Leavenworth is a beautiful town and we certainly will be back. This place however, you can surely skip.

We spent a few days of spring break in Leavenworth and this was hands down my kids (ages 4 and 8) favorite thing we did! They learned just enough facts about reindeer to hold their interest and then got to go play with and feed them for a bit and take lots of pics! We also got to see a one day old reindeer- so even though they were losing their winter coats/ antlers there were still some perks to a spring visit! Oh, and if you have a toddler they maybe interested in the Blippi autographed pic in the gift shop (my 4 year old was star struck to have “walked in Blippi’s shoes”!) Definitely will be back this winter so we can get both experiences in! Everyone was very friendly and personable!

This is an experience you have to do! The property was absolutely beautiful when we visited. They give you some information in the beginning about the reindeer, there's hot chocolate, apple cider, photos with Santa, a cute shop, and a picture perfect scenery. Feeding the reindeer was something my 10 year old son enjoyed. We hope to go back and visit during another season.

I insisted my husband and adult daughter accompany me on the tour during our visit to Leavenworth and we all had a great time! The information about the reindeer told to us in a humorous manner as a part of the tour enhanced our appreciation of the animals, but frankly, the best part is holding a branch while a reindeer strips it of leaves! Or maybe holding a bunny on your shoulder.

Everything about this experience exceeded all expectations. The check-in was efficient and seamless, the grounds were immaculate, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
The safety video had a high production value and was both informative and entertaining.
We never felt rushed or hurried while with the herd. The gift shop was reasonably priced.
This is fun for all ages!

You must visit The Reindeer Farm. It is a great experience. Being close to the reindeer. getting to lead them. pet them, feed them is great! The gift shop is very unique. We learned a lot about reindeer and the culture of the Inuit people. It is a lovely drive to get there, and the location is awesome too!

A wonderful, special experience to feed and pet big and baby reindeer, chickens, and turkeys for children and adults! This is a family owned reindeer farm and all the animals looked well cared for and healthy healthy.
I bought a ticket on the website ahead of time, since tickets can sell out. You check-in at the ticket booth where they can look up your name and you receive a wrist band.
We received a safety briefing especially since it was "rutting season."
There was no one at the chicken feeding table, but I helped myself to a small amount of the chicken food and delighted at the chickens and turkey pecking at it.
All in all with the tour, shopping, and feeding the chickens, I was there from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm for the 10:30 am tour. Once you go on the reindeer tour, you can receive a lifetime discount code (get a card in the gift shop) for 20% off future reindeer tours for returning guests.
I plan to return when I am in Leavenworth. I was happy to see how well the animals were taken care of and I like supporting local family businesses. There is a reindeer retirement plan for the older reindeer to free range on the family's land.

So much fun! Must visit if you are in Leavenworth. Fun for the entire family. They have it organized so well! Thank you!

Impressed! The reindeer are Great and Santa too.
Will return, great family experience.
Gift shop is very nice too and the quick talk about reindeer was very informative.
Staff very good and friendly.

This was an awesome experience!! The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly and it was great for my 3 year old. Santa was also there and was a magical time for my little one right before Christmas

You will pay 40 dollars plus convenience fee for about 15 min with a herd of gorgeous reindeers, of which 2 min to feed them less than a handful of some food, 13 min to pet them and to take photos. This is a very nice experience, something to do once at least. We did this twice in different years because it is fun for kids.

I went to Leavenworth just to see the baby reindeer and it was worth it. If you are in the area this is an absolute must see, especially at Christmas time!!! It is a world-class, local gem that is family owned and operated and more fun than Santa could carry!!

Our school went on a field trip to the Reindeer Farm. We absolutely loved learning about reindeers and seeing the 5 babies that were born over the past couple of weeks. One of the babies was only a day old. The staff and students got to feed the reindeer branches. The place is great to visit for a field trip as they charge only $5 per person. Otherwise, it is a bit expensive at $25 per person. It was a good experience. Some of the ticket price does go to animal sanctuary, so I would pay the $25 to return there during winter. Thank you, Reindeer Farm and Erika, for teaching our students so much about reindeers!

Amazing experience with the reindeers and MOST of the staff. Why only 2 stars? Well, for context we collect magnets from all the places we travel to so I decided to get a small magnet from the farm which on the wall was priced for about $6.50 when I paid I didn't pay attention to the total until I got home and checked my bank account, the girl at the counter charged me $16 dollars for it!!! What in the world?! I would've never paid that much for that little trinket! Pay attention if you purchase anything there, rip offs!

Really great experience this Summer at the Reindeer Farm. Beautiful grounds to wander about with the turkeys and chickens close by. The Reindeer presentation before you enter their area is well done, mixed with laughter and facts. And the care and commitment the owners make for these beautiful animals is top class!

WOW! I am still dreaming about the Reindeer Farm. We visited on December 2 and were so lucky to have had the fresh dump of snow overnight. The whole farm is magical. We LOVED the presentation where we learned all about the reindeers. Being up close with the reindeer and feeding them was the most amazing experience. We cannot wait to go back again in the future.
Outstanding Experience
This was an outstanding experience and provided an informative discussion of the facts regarding raising and caring for reindeer. The farm was lovely and we had an opportunity to pet, feed and take photos with he heard. Besides some tasty food and drinks, there is a fantastic gift shop! Highly recommend to folks visiting the Leavenworth area. It is for all ages…
