Made my wife's reservation online, weeks before we came. Was not disappointed. She had the time of her life. One on one with an artist, guiding you through the whole process. They are patient and supportive and before you know it, you will have created a piece of art.

This place is great fun; experiencing some of the basics of blowing a glass float is such a fun way to spend a half hour on the Oregon Coast.

Great place to visit and see the beautiful and unique works of art. We bought a package to create our own works of art hands on. It’s a great experience everyone should try. The folks there are amazing.

This glass blowing studio is located on highway 101 and is very easy to access. It is open to the public for viewing the glass artists at work. You can also make an item of your own with the artists' expert help. This is a great experience for all ages. It is fun anytime, but would also make a rainy day at the coast activity. Attached to the glass blowing area is a shop with items for sale. The pieces are just beautiful, and you can certainly appreciate the work that goes into making them,

This is an amazing experience. We loved stopping in here. True talent in Lincoln City. A must stop when you are in town. You will enjoy it.

Watching the artists blowing glass is very nice. We enjoyed it immensely. I was not particularly impressed with the store inventory, but what was there is not really my personal taste.

Wide selection of products and gifts at fair prices. Good flow of people thru the sales area for customers.
Also interesting open studio for folks to experience.

As an anniversary activity, we decided to make a blown glass item. Kami (unsure on spelling) helped his create a very nice hanging float. The entire process took about 30 minutes not including check in and wandering around in the gallery. Your item cools overnight so make sure to schedule at least a day before you’re leaving town although they do offer shipping as an option. It was a fun experience and now we have a glass relic that will help us always remember our fun time on anniversary # 14.

We got to watch glass being blown.. this is a real treat for me. The process was like watching a well organized dance routine, with several people playing their part just in time. Beautiful art glass for sale, I wish I could have it all.

I've been in this place many times. It's full of beautiful handmade glass objects at reasonable prices. You can also make your own glass floats for a small fee. Great keepsake from the Oregon coast. Don't miss this.

When I went to Oregon in October, I was able to make my own blown glass float. It was an amazing experience.

Great staff, patient and thorough in their instruction. They let us do as much as we can when making our chosen creations while maintaining safety. Will ship your order for an additional charge. Loved this experience

This area of the coast is known for people collecting the glass Japanese fishing balls that wash up on the shore. We decided to stop here and try to make a glass fishing globe on our own. The cost was $65 to make your selection of various glass decorator items. We selected a cobalt blue fishing globe that could stand on the patio table. The process took about 20 minutes and I was assisted by a talented glassblower who worked in the studio.
I was outfitted with gloves and protective eyewear as the heat from the furnaces is quite hot. I was instructed how to start the process of making the globe. The artist assisted me in several situations so that my glow would be a success. When the item was finished it needed to go into an area to cool down for about 24 hours. Don’t expect to take your item with you the day you make it as that is not possible. You need to be in town for more than one day to bring your souvenir Home. Otherwise they will send it to you for an additional $15 charge.
If you don’t want to make your own items, browse around the studio as they were plenty of beautiful glass items to be selected. This was a treat to learn how to make a blown glass item from scratch.

My husband and I took the glassblowing class together and it was a blast! Both our instructors were great. And we were very happy with our pieces. We will do it again.

We did the glass blowing and it was fun and easy. The staff was amazing and really explained everything. The piece you create can be shipped home for a small fee. We had the first appointments of the day, and the line when we left was sooo long. Go early! Make an appointment in advance!!! Don’t miss out on this experience!!!

This is a great stop, highly recommend. Not great for small kids, need supervision . But back to the glass blowing. It was so much fun. It was really fun to get hands on and create something unique.

Had a great time !! Fun place to visit and make your own creations !! I would absolutely recommend giving it a shot !

I made a beautiful glass ball that I was able to make with my own color choices and help from a qualified glass maker. I have it in my kitchen window, so I can enjoy it each day.

My husband and I had a great time creating our blown glass. I highly recommend everyone to try it!! The only issue I had was the person checking us in...she was a bit snotty and acted like we were interrupting her day by being there. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Fun way to spend some time at the beach. Very friendly helpful staff makes even a beginner look good. Beautiful creations at a reasonable price. It beats a jar of shells.

Can not say enough great things about this place. You can blow your own glass piece!!
Select what you want to do and decide on colors and design then they help you make it. You are twirling the rod with the hot glass on it. You are helping shape the glass and you are blowing into the pipe. All with help from the staff.
Staff was wonderful and great teachers! Pick up was the next day or they could ship it to you. We had it shipped and it came well packaged.
Only wish they were closer!

We loved our experience even with the COVID limitations (we got to watch every step of our glass being made, but didn’t get to do it ourselves). Loved the piece we took home, staff was friendly. We will be back!

We headed to the coast for a much needed break. Looking for something to do that fit a Covid-safe experience, we found the glass center. We had our reservations which kept us properly socially distanced.
We chose to create a float, despite the number of other choices available. We were pleased with the number of colors and pattern choices we had to customize the float as a remembrance of the trip.
Our glass blower, Eric, was great. He took the time to explain each step in the process of creating our float. He was engaging & didn't give any appearance of being impatient with our questions, which he must be answering all day, every day.
I highly recommend this experience.

It would have been a 5 out of 5, but my wife’s “teacher” would not allow her to do the steps of glass blowing, he pretty much did everything while she got to watch. My experience was much better, as I was able to do all steps and had fun doing it.

I guess I'm a sceptic, and thought this was just another tourist rip off. Wrong! After supervision by expert young glass -blowers and getting to actually do the work themselves, I was Impressed. I hoped to find a glass float on the beach like thousands of us do, but now I was going to blow my own! You choose your color, you actually insert your glass into the "glory hole", you turn it and turn it to molten glass, then you blow it nto a glass ball!! Great Experience. Fun and scarey. You keep the resulting beautiful ball. It's a must Do!!!

This was our third visit to the gallery and studio. The first two times my husband treated me to blowing glass floats. It is such a rush to work with the hot glass with the guidance of an artisan. So, I made a reservation for my husband as a surprise. He chose to make a votive holder. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to do the glass blowing. Keep in mind your item will need to cool down in the kiln overnight before you can pick it up. They also offer shipping your item as well. We plan to make this a regular stop each time we return to Lincoln city. The appointment lasts about a half hour or so and depending what you choose to make can run approx $60-$100 or so. Have fun and let out your inner artist! Steve was the artisan who helped us. He was informative and patient.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED everything about this place! Wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable staff!! Gorgeous gallery and unforgettable glass blowing experience! We will make this a regular activity everytime we are in Lincoln City!!

I signed up my 62 year old artistic mom, my 16 year old dreamer niece, my 43 year old go with the flow husband and myself. Yes-spendy for 4. We all had a BLAST and loved our final creations. We had three different people guide us through the experience and each of them were fun, had great details about the process and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. We loved how all of our items turned out. A float, 2 paperweights and a bowl. We picked colors and designs. we got to do more then we thought-like actually twisting and pulling glass like taffy. We do a lot of traveling and always sign up for something fun or off the beaten path for adventures. We all want to do this again and will. Worth every penny and we have a special souvenir-something we helped create.

Came just for the “class” which would qualify more as an experience. Had a blast—I noticed that other reviewers said it was pricey and short, but how many times will you have the chance to do such a specific art? Andrew was very sweet—explained the process and helped when needed, but never took over. Made a medium ball with a hook that will be shipped to our home.
Honestly, a bucket list type of experience—totally worth the cost. We did explore the gift shop, but decided to just get a bigger piece that we made over buying gifts/etc.
Helpful hints: take off your sweater or jacket—sounds silly but I spaced it and you’re a few feet from a billion degrees (or whatever).
You’ll have to come back the next day to pick up your piece, or arrange to have it shipped—which isn’t cheap.
Pick gloves that really fit. Mine were too big and it’s nerve-racking to be twisting melting glass on the end of a stick in a pit of fire lava in floppy gloves.
We went off-season during the week and could just walk-in and get to it.
We tipped our helper guy and he really appreciated it.

If you are visiting Lincoln City, there are two places you must visit: Highway 101 Burger and Jennifer Sears Glass Art Studio! Our kids were able to forge and blow their own glass float. They picked the colors, the picked the pattern and the super cool staff walked them through the process. Two days after, the kids are still talking about how neat it was. Well worth the cost.

It was so much fun to create a "float"! I loved that we could make a reservation, were able to shop, choose our item, colors, and create all in about an hour. The store is captivating with all of their expertly created floats, paper weights, vases, and art - there is so much to see. Due to Covid - you don't get to "blow" your class - they use a compressor - however, they involve you in all other steps which was really fun. I can't wait to receive my float in the mail! (it has to cool overnight - so rather than pick up the next day, we opted for shipping)

This is the second time we've visited the Lincoln City Glass Center in 4 years and enjoyed it both time. This time was special as my wife decided to blow a mid-size glass float. We went in on a Thursday and she picked out her project and the glass colors. As luck would have it she got Daniel as the person to teach/assist her with her float.
Following his instructions she carefully worked starting with clear glass and added colors; they pinched and twisted the heated combined glass and she slowly (under his helpful instruction) blew into the tube and watched the float grow. When finished, but still glowing glass hot it was placed into a kiln to slowly cool down over night.
Because we could not safely carry it home to Colorado we had them ship it for us. The float arrived the same day we got home. Opening the box and out came my wife's and Daniels beautiful creation. It is now in our living room hanging from one of their curved metal stands.
Thanks Daniel and the Lincoln City Glass Center for helping my wife create her beautiful float.

Beautiful glass gallery. We had the most awesome experience working with Steve and Aaron to create our own works of art. They explained the process as we helped with the heating and blowing of our glass. Worth the money. We did make reservations the day before. If you want to just watch, that's free.

My husband and I stopped here during our honeymoon. We made a large glass ball for very reasonable price. It was really fun to do. We now have a very unique art piece that contains breath from each of us, made (with help) by us. I really highly recommend this for a unique experience.

Every trip to Lincoln city we stop here. I always say I will make my own float, however, still haven't attempted it. I visit the showroom every trip and walk away with a beautiful piece of art. I am never disappointed. The art is absolutely beautiful and very reasonable. I have experienced the nicest people there. Everyone is so eager to assist you and very patient, as I can never make up my mind.

Incredible craftsmanship with glass. Wasn't able to do the DIY glass blowing as it requires picking up your piece the next day, unless you want it shipped.

We stopped to see the floats and got to watch them making glass. Lots of items for sale in the shop.

It's surprisingly interesting to watch experts blow glass. And it's fun to do it yourself, with the substantial hands-on help that the staff offer. (Don't forget to tip the staff when you leave with your glass art.)

After not finding a float on the beach, decided to make our own. This was such a fun activity and a great experience!! So happy we decided to do this! I can see ourselves doing a difference piece every time we are on the coast. Don't forget - **Need to schedule / make an appt** If you don't want to make your own, their gallery was awesome and I'm sure there is something for everyone in any price range! And you can watch others as the studio is open and easy to view!

This is a place you must visit. Workers were friendly and helpful. Learned a lot about making your own glass ball and even a heart. Get in early to book your spot.

My GF has wanted to make a blown glass ornament for several years. They show you how to do it, explain the techniques, and guide you through the process of making your own 'art'.

There was a group of us and we all enjoyed the experience. All of us love our pieces we made. Will visit again on next trip.

My wife and I had a blast visiting Lincoln City and the highlight was making our votive in the glass center. The artist that worked with us was knowledge, patient (we entered having no idea what we were doing) and informative about the process and we are eagerly anticipating receiving our votive.

Came here a couple of years ago and made a small bowl. It was really cool. On this trip we took our 8 yr old grandson. Wanted to do something really cool to remember the trip. He made a small float. He had a blast. The young man who worked with him was patient and explained the process.
Plan on bringing another grand child next year.

You can see the artists making art as well as teaching the technique to customers wishing to make their own. Very good gallery to choose a nice gift or art for your home.

We had fun watching people learn how to make a beautiful blown glass creation.
It's great that they let you watch from out front. They don't make you buy the class in order to view how it works.
Of course, we went inside and bought an AMAZING piece!
Prices vary, but there is definitely something in everyone's price range.

My husband wanted me to be able to actually do some glass blowing, but because of Covid it wasn't allowed. I did, however, get to choose and design a paperweight and then watch as it was made, given instructions all along the way. I highly recommend it.

What a fun time! We all made glass bowls and loved the experience. The instructor was patient and very friendly and informative. A very "hands-on" experience that we all enjoyed very much. Would recommend this to everyone to try if your looking for a something different to do on the coast.

I bought a ‘make your own’ session with the Glass Center for my husband; one person can accompany, so his brother joined; I was able to video the whole thing from the public area- it was really fun, and now he has a beautiful glass float he made himself!

I loved looking at all the beautiful creations, and it was fun to watch the creative process as well.

This activity takes part of two days or they can mail your creation to you. We selected a large vase as the item we wanted to make. A craftsman guided me through each step (did most of it) but I did some of each activity. Final result was a lovely glass bowl that we picked up the next morning. Some physical activity required. Also has a nice shop attached so you can just purchase items. We enjoyed it and you might also. You need to schedule an appointment. Might have a drop-in slot but we saw people turned away.

I surprised my husband with a quick trip here and we absolutely loved it. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Our piece came out wonderful as well!

Walk into this glass studio and make yourself a piece of art! It's fun, easy and fail proof. You can go in and buy a glass float. Or, you can create your own!! Make your own!

It's a bit pricey but a fun activity for all. You have a choice of several items you can create. One of the experts takes you through the process step by step. Be sure to make a reservation. We made a starfish and what they called a votive candle holder but it was big enough to use as a vase. This is a good activity for a cold, rainy day because the ovens put out lots of heat.

Great souvenir at the Glass Studio.
It is pricey and you have to book early to get a time slot.
My daughter made a starfish with the help of their staff just a great keep piece. Also fun to pick colours and item you would like to make.Only thing is it is pricey! Eep is you have a few kids.

Beautiful art work in this gallery. So fun to watch students making a glass project. Kellye (owner) was so kind and informative. I plan to visit this studio on my next trip to Oregon coast. Thank you for such a special treat during our stay.

Since I didn't find a glass float on the beach I had to make one was a wonderful experience and would do it again.

There are many glass blowing places in this part of the Oregon coast-we picked this one and had a memorable experience. The staff is great and will help you participate in creating your own glass vase, bowl, or paperweight. It was so much fun! We are already looking forward to doing it again.

I read about The Lincoln City Glass Center on Trip Advisor and thought I'd check it out. Scheduling in advance online was really easy, and when I needed to change the time of my appointment I was able to do that online as well. The recommendation to come 15 minutes early to decide on the piece you'll have made and the colors you want it made out of is excellent advice. If you're like me and have trouble deciding on color combinations, you might want to come even earlier.
Anya did an excellent job of explaining the glass-blowing process in general, and each step in making the paperweight I selected. Anya was gracious about me videoing the process. Although some may consider the cost of a glass-blown item to be expensive, this is an original piece of artwork that I got to participate in making...even if just through observation. I highly recommend the Lincoln City Glass Center. This definitely something I will do again.

Very Friendly people and are very willing to help you create your own Glass Creation. Highly recommended for someone that likes a little adventure.

Just stopping in to look at all of the amazing gallery pieces is cool, but getting to have the experience of blowing my own glass item was super cool. I appreciate that they allow a second person in with you to take photos. I recommend making an appointment. Thankfully, they weren't very busy when we arrived and we only had to wait an hour.

This is the second time we've gone here. It's a great place to go and actually get coached along to make a glass piece that will last for a long time . They are very patient and careful teachers! Some may consider it a little expensive but I believe it's worth every penny!

Our instructor was Great! She was informative and patient. My husband made a paper weight and I made a glass float. From previous experience, we knew to stop in the day before and make a reservation. Our items came out beautiful and were ready for pickup the next morning at 10am. This is a must do activity!

This should be a #1 thing for anyone in Lincoln city to do. So much fun and such a great experience! Will do this everytime we are here! Thank you so much!

Glad we we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon. Watching the glass blowing was interesting, but have seen this and done this before. What sets this gallery apart is the beautiful pieces on display for sale. Go across the street to the other original gallery for more pieces and a jewelry selection. Found a beautiful necklace for a special gift.

I signed up to make a glass object and was surprised out the complexity of the work and the amount I was able to do. I was guided by an expert craftsman and create a beautiful piece of art. Make this a priority stop, even if just to visit the showroom or watch others make glass objects.

A friend told me to do the glass blowing while in Lincoln City! So glad we tried it!! We all made something different & it was so fun to see how each item is made. We can’t wait to see the finished products tomorrow. Definitely recommend making reservations.

They have glass blowers on site to assist you in making your own glass float - such fun! Aslo a gift shop!

We went here while on our trip to Lincoln City and participated in making our own glass art, it was awesome! They let you choose what kind of creation you want to make (5-6 different choices, ranging in prices) and what colors you want to use. They talk you through every part of process so you get to learn how it all works and the best part is they let you do almost all of it, so it truly is yours! It has to cool overnight and can’t be picked up until the next day, but they offer the option of shipping it (for a reasonable price) which worked out great for us. This is such a fun experience and also gets you a great souvenir, it was definitely one of our favorite spots during our trip!

My hubby, son and DIL made appointments in advance to blow glass. None of us had ever done it before. It was a highlight of our trip! We worked with Eric and I missed the other gentleman’s name. He was patient, explained everything and fun to work with! You can choose from four different projects and up to four colors plus a style. We absolutely loved the process and our finished pieces. You have to leave your piece overnight and pick up the next day so keep in mind when planning a visit unless you want the piece mailed to you. Highly recommend this experience-so fun creating beautiful glass art and the best souvenir.

this was great to watch but personally I felt it was a little to pricey to participate. The staff seemed very friendly and did everything they could to help paying customers enjoy the experience. If you want a fun and different tourist experience this would be the place. Wait time was minimal.

Make a reservation and then go and make your very own glass float. You will get expert guidence in each phase and with the colors you pick will make a unique treasure.

Very interesting to watch. The attached gallery with glass for sale has something for every taste and budget. Well worth stopping for a quality memento or to purchase a special gift. They do custom work as well. Be sure to look up at the stunning hanging lights. Plenty of parking behind the free studio.

The person we had it was wonderful with my grandson,He actually made to he made one and for his newborn little brother and he had so much fun they were wonderful with him I would definitely recommend them

It was interesting to watch the artisans at work. You can also receive instruction and work with the glass yourself. There is a lovely gift shop with lots of glass pieces available.

Husband booked a lesson at the Lincoln City Glass Center for our group as a birthday surprise for me. They were able to fit us all into the time slot that worked for our busy vacation schedule. Would highly recommend!

The glass float making experience here is great. Be sure to call at least a day to several days ahead to book...Expect to have to leave info on answering machine then wait for a call back. Expensive but fun experience, we go each year.

Some friends and I visited Lincoln City while on a girl's trip to the coast of Oregon. The staff at Lincoln City Glass Center was wonderful and the people helping us make our pieces were amazing. It was a fun experience and now we have something to remember our trip to the Oregon coast. I highly recommend the Lincoln City Glass Center - just to visit or to make your own glass piece!

I loved coming here with my sister and my niece and nephew. They did a great job working with kids, were educational and I got a beautiful keepsake, to boot! I'm glad I came here. It isn't cheap, but it's very much worth it!

We had a great time choosing the piece and the colors to make and use. This is a fun project to do with the kids too. You don't get to do anything, of course, but help to make our glass object.

This place is amazing! Our instructor was Aaron, my husband and I each did a piece it was so exciting! Such an amazing experience.

Very nice and enjoyable staff. Make sure to schedule a time and you have to leave it over night so plan accordingly. Will make something else when we come back.

This was such a fun, unique experience. The glassblowers were very informative and provide a hands on lesson, but also very safe and exciting! You start by choosing a sculpture to make, which could be a float, heart, vase, or bowl. Then you choose the size, colors and patterns using the displays in their shop. Finally, you get to make it! They will ship it to you (for a fee around $20) or you can pick it up the next day. If you enjoy glass art and the crafting processes, this is for you!

We just finished creating beautiful keepsakes from our trip to Lincoln City at this must stop! The staff were excellent with our family. We made two gorgeous bowls and a paperweight. I had always wanted to make one and it was everything I expected!

Read about this place in an Oregon travel guide and thought it might be a neat place to stop during our road trip down the coast and I'm so glad we did! You choose a time for your appointment then once you arrive you choose the item you'd like to make along with the colors and style. You work with a glass blower but are shown the basics and you do alot of the work. After you finish your piece cools over night and you may pick it up the next day or have it shipped. We choose to have ours shipped. It was interesting and fun! Aaron was a great teacher and I look forward to seeing my finished product! Worth it!!

Something fun to do as a family to make cherished keepsakes that you make with the their help-great group of peoplel!!

As the title suggests, this Art Studio has some Fantastic pieces of work to chose from. Next door you could create your own pieces, which looked a fun and interesting thing to do. Unfortunately we didnt have time to do this, but both young and old looked like they were having fun.
We bought a couple of souvenirs from this place. A lovely piece for our home and a trinket for our 7 year old niece.
The gentleman behind the desk was a really nice guy and evry informative.

While spending a few days on our beautiful Oregon Coast we stopped by to browse this shop and stayed to create some glass art to bring home! What a fun experience!! Our artist instructor was a delight, he explained every step in detail, and my glass heart turned out beautiful! Can't wait to return and create another.

This is a great place to make your own piece of glass art. The reservations are simple to make online. The staff are friendly and take their time explaining each step. We were greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff. Highly recommend this, especially for children.

This was such a fun activity for my whole family and we all left with pretty keepsakes. You are paired with a knowledgeable glass blower who walks you through the process so I felt safe even when working with molten glass and high heat. Each step was explained and I enjoyed seeing how each step made it more and more like I wanted it to be. We were all very excited to pick up our creations the next morning! Definitely a great way to make and keep memories!

Took the wife there for her birthday. She Mae a nice piece and they took great care of her. Got some great pictures and the staff was wonderful. We will be back. Best 90 bucks I’ve spent in a long time.

My husband had wanted to do this for quite some time. It was a lot of fun and we both enjoyed the experience. The teachers/glass blowers are very patient and adapt their instruction to your skill level/level of comfort. You should know that the artist still does about half of the work, but it is an enjoyable process and the folks are great. We'd definitely do this again!

Enjoyed watching a project being made, but seemed a bit pricey, however the person doing it at the time seemed pleased with his overall experience. Handy location, worth a visit.

It is really fun to make your own floats or other items. The store has really nice items. The people that work there are great.

This was a lot of fun for the wife and I. I have always wanted to try blown glass as a hobby. The crew can tell if you are ready to do more by your self or if you need the added help. I did most of the work myself and they helped my wife through each step. It works well!

Love glass so this was a real treat to be involved in first hand. They are very organized and do their best to ensure that you go home with a beautiful piece of glass that you created. Andrew was my instructor and helped me create an awesome float and explained each step throughout the process. I will definitely do this again next time I am in Lincoln City.

We found this place and discovered we would be able to blow our own glass project. I can't believe the patience and consistency it takes to make a bowl. Angeli was so patient with us. My husband and I both had an appointment. It was hot, and we weren't very good, but thanks to the guidance and help on the projects we took home two amazingly beautiful bowls. We were planning to give them away as gifts, but we decided to keep them ;) I have some pictures I can add later.
We saw another worker helping a family with young kids make their own projects too.

For my 50th Birthday my family and I did glass blowing here. It was a really great experience. The staff here is so wonderful to work with and very happy to provide you with the best instruction while you are going through the process. We would definitely do it again!

So much fun! Aaron was my mentor/guide. He helped me make a glass float and a heart. He helped me grab the hot glass on the rod, add the color, turn the rod so the glass stayed centered. Then he had me blow into the float and it enlarged like magic! He showed me how to create the neck and tap the float off the rod. Then he showed me how to make a "rope" of glass for the heart. Once it had been rolled up, he showed me how to make the stripes of color and the shape of the heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole time. I'd love to be able to make more art! And the attached store has gorgeous glass items. Perfect for gifts!

Good experience. Learned the steps but didn't really get to do a lot. It was fun but pricy probably wouldn't do it again.

If you've ever wondered how blown glass is created...this is your chance to do it yourself! Choose btwn a heart, paper weight, votive, fluted bowl, or float and be guided through the steps with an experienced artist. A bit pricey, but a must- do activity in Lincoln City.

The glass artist helping me had a degree in fine arts and seven years experience. She explained everything well and was patient as I got to try each step in the process. My wife was skeptical at first about doing this but I signed her up anyway and after she was done, she was even more enthusiastic than I am.
We went on a summer weekday and they were plenty busy. We had scheduled ahead on their website so the wait was minimal; walkins and weekends may be somewhat more difficult.

Loved the shop. Very pretty. However it was overly stressful with my kids who were 11 and 13. They are boys and into touching everything. They wanted to try their hand at blowing glass but $65 was the cheapest session and with three kids that's kinda pricey.

My birthday present from my husband this year!! What fun to create a beautiful glass float. This was a special experience and unique treasure to cherish representing my favorite place on earth...the Oregon Coast. The artist, I believe his name was Daniel, was an exceptional teacher and so much fun to work with...and the completed float looked like ocean waves...just as I had hoped. We enjoyed this so much my husband made a votive and another family member, a float when we returned for our annual camping trip. Highly recommended!! Call and reserve time in summer months.

Call ahead if you want to make your own glass float. I think the cheapest one was $65. There was a storm the weekend we were there so I didn't get to find a float on the beach so this is where i purchased one. I spent $25

the instructors are very good at getting lay people involved in creating a piece of art that you get to choose to make.
We had a super fun time blowing glass and making a heart shaped paper weight.
thanks guys

You can learn to blow glass and make your own piece here. The instructors are excellent, explaining how to do it, making sure everyone is safe and ensuring you have a memorable piece to take home. Great FUN.

We went here as a family and all signed up to blow glass and it was flat out amazing and cool! I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone! Our kids loved it too and they are very kids friendly.

Brought my 10 yr old son here to make his own glass creation. He had a great time. He was more hands-on than I thought he would be, which was a nice surprise.

Watching them dip the glass into colored shards of glass was so amazing! The fact the glass legit looks like honey was so cool! I’ll definitely be back to make another item!

This is a great shop. The glass-blowing experience is fun but the glass objects for sale are top quality. Check out Volta across the street, too.

I loved the shop. A lot to look at and gorgeous pieces. It love watching the glassblowers work. I thought our young kids would be bored, but they also loved it.

I've been here before and made a float and had a great time, so I brought a friend to do it. She had a blast! This is the best place with the best staff. She said her glass maker was so good at explaining everything, especially the parts where she needed to take over for various reasons. My friend LOVES the float she made! And I picked up some nice things in the gift shop. Definitely a great thing to do if you're in the area!

What a great experience, we made a float and a bowl. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I recommend making an appointment to make sure you have a spot. And something to think about, you have to come back the next day for your item or have it shipped to you. You don't take it home the same day. We had a great time and we look forward to doing it again.

I love this place! I will go back to make my own float next trip because I only had a few minutes to stop here before I had to head back home. My kids watched people making their own glass art and I checked out the gallery.

This is a fun place to visit! You can blow your own glass floats and other glass items and browse the huge selection of glass art. The person who helped me both times I visited during this trip was very nice. Had a little girl with her, can't recall the woman's name. I asked if she had any teal-colored floats and she brought me out several to choose from. I love the white and blue swirls on mine! I also bought a gorgeous sky blue and teal and white scallop. Wish I could have afforded to blow my own, but this was almost as good. And a great place to come if you are sick and tired of tromping through dog poop above the tide line trying to find one of those elusive floats the city is supposedly putting on the beach! The $25-50 is worth it, to pick out your own colors and shape and size float, no frustration required!

I went there twice to make my own glass pieces - a float and a jellyfish paperweight. It was so much fun!!

we had a blastfor our 32nd wedding anniversary.we blew glass at lincolncity glass center.king tides were amazing at all beaches an we only lost 40 bucks at the casino.

Andrew was a great “partner”. He was patient and understood what I wanted. My only reason for 4 stars was he/nobody else explained that another dip in the molten glass would have produced. Smooth finish to my float rather than the texture I ended up with. Otherwise very happy.

Covid rules are in effect so all you're doing is watching the employees at a distance. Staff is really nice, and end product was great. Just disappointing to stand and watch.

This place is truly the best one to go to for glass blowing classes and to see and shop for glass pieces. Instructors are patient and knowledgeable and it was a privilege to create a piece with them. Signing up online was flawless. Great for couples, and even groups of tourists!!!! Mark that one off my bucket list, with 5 stars!!!

I have been back here several times-to look - to buy-and to create. Everyone is absolutely wonderful and the glasswork is amazing. There is always something different. Don't come to Lincoln City and not stop and create a memory here. SO worth the time.

Products here are exceptional. We loved viewing all the items Very interesting watching the glass blowers.

This seems expensive but the experience is worth it. Created my own glass heart. The instruction was great and the hands on experience made to worthwhile. They have lots of beautiful pieces there to purchase as well

Made a float at Jennifer's., it was a lot of fun! They are very professional and take a lot of care to insure you are safe in making your own creation!

How fun, you can pay for an opportunity to make (blow) your own piece. Perfect setting and great staff to work with. I only observed, but they were very competent and friendly. Such beautiful pieces in the gift shop.

Visited Lincoln City Glass last week and each made our own glass float. Jesse was so much fun to work with, and our floats turned out beautifully. Great value for the price, and we had an absolute blast. Highly, highly recommend!

This is a sure to please experience! Shop, watch and then make your own!! The staff is awesome and talented! The chance to make your own memento to keep for a lifetime and pass down! Such fun!!

We visited here last week with our three grandkids. They watched the entire show as the blower explained everything he was doing. The glassware for sale seemed a little expensive.

Worth a stop to see the beautiful blown glass. They also give classes that let you blow your own. I did purchase a nice piece there.

We were with a group so didn't have the opportunity to attempt to blow a glass float ourselves, but we enjoyed the opportunity to watch the master craftswoman blow a beautiful open bowl. At first she was blowing pumpkins, which used a mold then artfully applied vines. When she blew the bowl, we appreciated her talent and expertise. It was fascinating to watch. The store attached had some nice items too.

We paid for my parents to make a small glass float as a Christmas gift. The staff was very helpful, explained everything well and answered all of their questions. The experience was overall excellent. It did seem a bit rushed and would have been nice to have maybe another 10 minutes, however, it was very fun for them and we enjoyed watching.

My dad and I went there to make my mom a float! Great time! Will go again! My favorite part was how kind they all were! It’s a must do here at the coast!

This place is so amazing! If you can afford it, schedule your own glass blowing session. Otherwise check out the beautiful glass ornaments for purchase. Even if you just browse, it’s a fun place.

Go and make a one-of-a-kind souvenier. The expert glass blowers guide you through every step of this fun process and help (even my 8-year-old!) have a memorable and fun learning experience with a beautiful souvenier at the end of the trip!

I love how you can watch how they blow the glass and create your glass ball. If you get there early enough you can pick out your colors and then they will blow your glass ball for a price to take home. Or you can buy whats in the shop and avoid the wait. Either way its a unique experience. Kids will love watching at least l ball being blown. If I remember right they had some dolphin blown pieces too. bowls, vases.Check it out . But remember it is a glass shop inside, so mind the kids. the outside part is where they blow the glass.

After a day of beach combing, wandering through the ocean grasses and drift wood, searching for just one of the thousands of glass floats hidden each winter in Lincoln City, we weren't discouraged that we were empty-handed. And why would that be? Because the wonderful inn keeper of the wonderful Tyee Lodge (down the highway in Newport) had tipped us off to this facility where we could make our very own float!
So, we headed down 101 until we found the studio with its wide-open barn-like doors and signed-up to make.... a paperweight! Turns out, we could have made a float, but other options were paperweights, hearts, and small and large fluted bowls.
The cost for this tremendous, once-in-a-lifetime experience and this ever-so-beautiful creation? $65.
Now, please note: Novices can't make glass wonders every day of the week. We can go Wednesdays through Sundays when the professional glass-makers are paired with us to show us the ropes, steady our hands, and do the heavy lifting. On Mondays and Tuesdays, those same professional glass-makers -- true artists -- are making their own glass art, which is for sale in the exceptional art gallery adjacent to the enormous work studio.
It's always fun to say, "I made it," and when the product is so exceptional, an adult will really want to show it off!

Did it with my 8 year old. She made me a votive holder for my birthday. The memories made making this are priceless. This is now one of my most precious belongings!

They were SO friendly and helpful here! You could tell that they love what they do...showing people how to make these beautiful pieces of art. They are patient and explain everything as you go along. It took only about 30 minutes to finish my float. Then of course it has to cool overnight, so I picked it up the next day. I was surprised at the large size and heavy weight of my "small" float. They are really good too about helping you pick out what you want to make and how to make it the way you want it...letting you pick the colors and design and all. It was a really great experience, and now I have a beautiful artsy souvenir that I made myself!
(As always, please feel free to message me with any questions about my reviews!)

Stopped into the shop to see all the blown glass items. Lots to look at, and friendly staff. We briefly watched some glass floats being made. Great display of items you can make. We will be back!

I had read about this place before coming to Lincoln City and we found it very easily as it's right on 101. We watched a couple do their glass and asked if there were any openings and there was one right after that couple was done. So I decided to make a vase/votive. You pick out what you want to make and then you get to choose 4 colors. Steven was my guide. He patiently explained everything along the way and answered questions that I had. The only problem I had was getting the hang of turning the rod with just your fingers and not your wrist. It took about 1/2 hours to make my glass object and opted for them to ship it to me as I didn't want to risk taking it back on plane. It was a neat experience and I am glad I did it. (Christa)

The studio has a wonderful selection of beautiful glassware. And you can actually make a piece of hand-blown glass yourself -- with a little help, of course! I made a glass float, which was a very exciting experience! And the float turned out to be really beautiful! I can't wait to go back and make another item!

We saw other travelers making their own creations through glass blowing classes. We found a wonderfully custom crafted globe made from hard glass for my wife's gift.

With just one day left on our trip we only stopped for a quick look around, but the process looked so fascinating and they were able to fit us in and ship our self made, with lots of patient help, paperweight. Great place to get unique gifts as well!

My family had a great time making glass pieces they can have for years to come. They turned out beautiful.
Some things to know ahead of time: you need to book through their online portal. However, their portal does not tell you how many spots are available in a given 30 min window. You need to call them to make sure there is enough room to accommodate your party/family. The portal need to show the true availability for each time allotment. Arrive at least 10 min prior to your spot so you can park and also select what you want to make and the colors. Your $20/per person booking fee goes towards the cost of your creation. Most items to create are going to be $75-$95 each. After you’ve completed your item, it has to cool overnight. You can pick it up the next day or have them ship it for a fee.
Overall, this is highly recommended and I will most likely take my family back.

Beautiful glassblowing and shop. You can even make your own glass ball. Items for sale have a wide range of prices, some quite affordable. Making your own glass item is a lot of fun, and affordable.

Wasn't impressed with the selection. We've been some very fine glass shops and this didn't measure up.

We had an amazing time here. Beautiful glass art. We learned quite a bit about glass and how the art is made. We will go back the next time we are in Lincoln City. It is a memorable place to visit.

This experience was great! We did get to work with hot glass, but it was guided and safe. I would recommend trying this at least once in your life!

Nice store with good displays. More than just glass floats, they have some beautiful pieces of glass art. We were hoping to do our own float. But unfortunately on the days that we were visiting Lincoln City they were not doing it. Next time we will check out there website and see exactly when they do the glass blowing classes on the off season.

What an amazing experience! They give you step by step instructions. You have lots of options of things to make. You can't pick your own colors . They make sure you are safe at all times. I had my float mailed to me and it arrived with no problems. Highly recommend this place. I will be returning!

I had never watched glass blowing before much less tried my own hand at it. The staff are great about letting you do the parts that you want to and watching for the more difficult parts. Its a hands on experience that you won't want to miss and you end up with a beautiful keepsake of your experience.

My daughter and I booked back to back 30-minute sessions. We selected the round, ball shaped paper weights and they both turned out beautifully! The young man assisting us was very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend you put this on your "to-do" list when visiting Lincoln City.

We stopped in here on the holiday long weekend. I was looking for a piece of glass that wasn't mass produced. Jennifer's has the option for you to make your own object (which we didn't do) but we did sit for a while and watch others while they made their masterpieces.
I found a wonderful glass ball which had been hand blown by Jennifer which reminded me of Van Goughs Starry Night. The gentleman at the store was wonderfully helpful as he helped us pick out various items (we were looking for a light to illuminate the ball and we were looking for gifts for family & friends).
I can't recommend this place enough if you are looking for a special keepsake to remind you of your weekend at the beach or even a lovely gift for a special someone. The glass in this store is all made there - so don't expect cheap prices on mass-produced goods. That being said there is something in the store for nearly every budget.
Make sure to check out the warehouse store across the road - they had some great bargains there too!

Stop in every time we’re in Taft, interesting to watch how glassblowing is done. They make it look easy.

We made two trips to this studio. I had Penny both times she was great!!! Booking on line was easy. Would recommend if there are two of you to book your appointments back to back, that way each of you can take photo's of the other one.

I have always, always wanted to take a glassblowing class. This was so much fun and informative! The instructors were patient and willing to answer all my crazy questions.
A couple of things to know before going to the place - 1) Make a reservation - people without reservations were turned away; and 2) whatever you make has to cool until 10:00 am the next day. We stayed in another town and couldn't come back the next day. We had to have our glass shipped to us.

Lots of hand blown glass objects from paper weights to pendant lights. They were blowing glass while we were there. Interesting to watch. We didn't find the colors we were interested in in paper weights so the woman there went to the back and brought out more. We found just what we were looking for. Worth the trip.

Was looking for a bathroom and wandered into this place. What a feast for the eyes! Tons of blown glass in all shapes and colors. A case full of jewelry and little glass trinkets. Very friendly and knowledge staff that greeted me at the door. Out in the garage workspace they were having classes and I stayed for a bit and watched.
I was able to use the bathroom and bought some very cute stickers for my car. Will come back for a class in the future.

Our second time blowing glass - and we’ll be back. We both wanted to make hanging glass floats. She chose pink and white; I chose green, yellow, and orange. Despite the risk of these colors ‘melding’ and becoming a brown, I have the great float pictured. Thank You Daniel for the time and effort to give us both exactly what we envisioned. And for making it so enjoyable.

Super friendly place. Explained every part of the process as you were making it. You pick out colors and project and they help you create your art. Had a great time. Takes about 30 minutes start to finish and you pickup the next day around 10:00 AM. Highly recommend.

Lots of parking and places to watch the glass being formed into hearts, bowls and balls. You have to be 8-years old to help create your own glass art. The employees were really friendly but they do most of the work. My nephew is 12 and really enjoyed making the ball but it is quite pricey and you have to come back the next day to pick it up.
The showroom is nice and there's more art pieces across the street with a sale room that looks like a lot of stuff that wasn't picked it. You can buy the glass balls in town at the thrift stores too for a fraction of the price.
It's definitely worth a stop by to check out how they do it.

I wanted to plan an activity for us to do together, and this had great reviews, so I thought we should give it a shot. Also, I had just binge watched the glassblowing reality competition on Netflix and thought it looked cool. We were not disappointed! The artists that help you make your glass are really skilled, and you get to do enough that it really feels like your own creation. Even if you don’t want to make something yourself, you can sit and watch others do the process, which is kind of mesmerizing. Definitely schedule in advance for a slot if you want to make something. You get to choose your colors, item, and pattern that you want to make. The whole thing only took like 25 minutes or so, but I thought it was worth the cost. We made votives, which really just look like small vases. Make sure you leave enough time for your glass to cool (we had to come back the next day to pick it up), but they also can mail you your items for a cost.

This establishment offers the visitor a chance to blow glass and create their choice of a bowl, votive holder, etc. It is done by reserved appointment and we didn't have time to do that, but we did watch others while we were there. Very cool - it looked like fun and we will definitely arrange to do that next time we are in town. A fun option that you won't see elsewhere.

We had fun! They really do most of the work and you just hold the rod a few times and they make you feel like you are involved but really you are not doing much. Enjoyable, a bit pricey for the items but a fun thing to do if you've never blown glass before.

I just cannot explain what a wonderful experience this was. Living on the Southern Oregon Coast this has always been a dream of mine to do, and I was not disappointed! Thank you to Jolene for an amazing experience. My young daughter, myself and my husband all made the small glass balls. Strolling through their show room was mesmerizing and watching other guests work with their glass and instructors was a real treat as well.

Did this for the first time this week and it was great fun! You select your colors and what you want to make and they work with you to create a beautiful piece of art. The glass blowers are patient and very helpful. I don’t think you could mess it up with all their experience and help. My friends and I were all very happy with our final results. There were six of us total working two at a time and others taking photos of the process. Three of us made small glass floats (that were much larger than I expected), one made a small bowl, one paperweight and one votive holder (AKA stemless wine glass). All beautiful! Thank you for the great experience!

We travel for a living, and try to find things we can do as a group. This was a lot of fun. When I finished making the large bowl, they shipped it home for me. I definitely recommend this place as a fun activity. The staff was amazing as was the experience.

We made a reservation online conveniently and came to the studio, the man who helped us was friendly and said he had been an apprentice for 6 years. He was knowledgeable and showed us how to make a large bowl In our wedding colors, he also got assistance from another teacher to make the rim of the bowl to make it look a little extra special. It was a great learning experience and my husband thought it was awesome! The large bowl cost us $185, so the reviews are correct it is expensive but in our case it was worth it.

What a fun experience to share, and memory to have, with my 14 year old son. They offer different "Make your Own" options, so we chose to make a glass float. The staff member that was assigned to us we very informative and patient as he walked us through each step of the process. We chose our colors and then shared in making the float. We weren't quick enough in knocking it off the metal rod when it was done so we had a little oops on the bottom where the glass didn't sink down properly, so the name and date stamp didn't turn out as it should have, but when we returned the next day to pick up our float, the gal who was there was kind enough to router the date into the bottom for us. We love our float! You can also just sit and be a spectator, which is a lot of fun as well.

The instructor was so nice and showed me so much in such a short time. At first it was intimidating around the ovens and not wanting to get in the way. It is like a dance that you had to do with the glass artist to get it all to come out right. I came out of here with the most amazing gift my husband could have gotten me.

I read the reviews online and made this a must do on my trip to Oregon. I definitely will say, book an appointment time online.
I decided that I wanted a glass bowl and my instructor was Daniel. He was great at explaining his choosen craft, and also allowed me to use left over green pieces of glass inside my choosen blues.
I was absolutely happy with the outcome. O love picking up something that supports a local economy and made locally too, the specialness is that I helped make it too. I would suggest picking it up the next day to avoid shipping charges and taxes if they have to ship out of the US.
A must do in the area.

We went there the Friday after Christmas, and was lucky enough to get a slot without booking. The Teacher was amazing, with all the answers to my questions. He allowed me to do most of the glass blowing and shaping of the piece I chose to make, instructing me so I ended up with a perfect bowl! The store was lovely and the cashier was very informative on the pieces for sale.

This art studio had amazing glass sculptures and gorgeous jewelry. I would love to try a class sometime. The staff helped me find a beautiful pair of earrings to commemorate my 25th Wedding Anniversary!

This is always a must visit when we go to Lincoln City, Taft district. Blowing your own glass float is a unique way of capturing a memory of your visit, and at $60, is fairly reasonable for a magical experience,

Very busy place. Lots of people waiting to work on their glass piece. Take a number and wait. The display area was FULL of glass pieces waiting to be purchased. All very big and very expensive. I was somewhat afraid that I was going to knock something off a shelf and would have to pay for it. Lots of signs saying "do not touch,,,ask for assistance". Beautiful to look at.

We made 2 consecutive appointments, one for my wife and one for me. It was our anniversary and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

When I knew we were going to the Oregon Coast for our summer road trip, I looked into glass blowing for a family activity. I booked our appointments several months in advance and were happy to have them accommodate us about an hour early when we showed up!
The staff were incredibly friendly and wonderful at explaining everything to the kids (ages 8 & 11) and adults. We all loved learning about the process and participating in creating our keepsakes. It was nice they allow one person to accompany the appointment to take photos.
The one downside is that you have no idea what it looks like until it is shipped to you and it's too late to make changes. 2 of us loved ours, but my daughter doesn't feel like her colors and design were what she wanted and described/asked for. She was so excited for our pieces to arrive in the mail yesterday, but was immediately disappointed in what hers looks like. It's an expensive activity to not be completely pleased with in the end. So, my suggestion would be to really think carefully about what you want in terms of design and colors and to take the time to explain it really well to be sure.

We bought several pieces of glass today that are outstanding quality. We enjoyed watching others create their own works of art.

We have gone here twice. Once when my grandson was ten and he made a glass bowl that he won a Best of Class award at fair with and again this summer when he was seventeen and he made a beautiful glass ball. Interestingly enough, it was much more handsa on when he was ten!

My family has gone to Lincoln City many times during the summer. We had seen this glass shop where people can make their own glass items before and in 2019 we decided to try it!! It was great! Experienced glass workers work one on one with people to help them create glass floats and other items. My whole family had a good time!! I would recommend making reservations and going toward the beginning or middle of your vacation as it can be crowded and the glass you make needs to set for a day or so.

We came to Lincoln City with hope of finding some of the artist made floats hidden daily in the winter. Thank goodness we made our own here because we found out later that a few locals know where to find them and hoard them so others don’t have a chance. At this wonderful gallery fabulous artists work with you to create a personalized work of art. I highly recommend this activity.

The staff at the studio were very accommodating, even with my 80 year old Mum as they helped her create a blown glass fishing float. They even arranged shipment home to Canada. Highly recommend the experience and there are beautiful art glass pieces for sale as well.

This was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They not only walked us through how to make it but explained why. We had a great time and will never forget the experience.

This was the pla e where you can learn to blow glass in the huge garage area while people can watch it happen or you can go in the attached glass shop or walk across the street to their other store. Parking is a pain across the street. They have gorgeous floats, animals and other glass items.

Did a glass blowing session at the Studio. This was a great activity to do in Lincoln City. Steve was great to work with. Session lasted 30 minutes. There are several glass items that can be created, for instance two sizes of bowls and other items. You can select the colors to mix into your item. The completed item can be picked up the following morning once it has cooled.

We planned a glass blowing session as an after dinner activity while traveling around the Oregon coast- Very cool, great activity, and super friendly artists to guide our glass blowing.
Even better come back the following day and pickup the glass pieces (or have it shipped)
Lincoln City is ‘A great place to try new things’- glass blowing is one of those things

We were looking for glass blowing galleries and chose this one to visit since they offered a hands on experience which made them stand out from others in the area. We stopped by to check out and was so excited that there happened to be an opening for the hands on experience immediately. You work with an artist who teaches you what to do and explains what is happening during the entire process. You get to pick out the type of item you want to make (there are several sizes, shapes, and price points to chose from), the colors and design. So much fun!!

I scheduled reservations for our family of 9. She’s 67 to 10 years . We had 3 different instructors and each one did a fantastic job! Each person had a great experience! It was very hands on and we all learned about the artistry of glass blowing. We all made different things and loved them all. Treasures to go with the memory! Highly recommend!

This summer my family spent most of a week in Lincoln City, OR, and this was the one thing my mom wanted to make sure we did. She made the reservation and everything, but when we got there, we each were able to choose which item we wanted to craft. Two of us made the small bowls, my mom made the bigger wavy bowl, and another made a globe, but there are other options available there. The instructors are super nice and explain to you what is happening or what to do every step of the way (definitely, 100% bring extra cash to tip your instructor. It is a one on one experience and they put a lot of effort into making sure you have a good experience learning how to blow glass.) Once it’s your turn, you tell them what you want to make, they have you put protective glasses and gloves on, then you choose your colors your project will be and get started! Very very cool experience that I can’t recommend enough if you’re in the area looking for something unique and fun to do.

Please choose this experience if you are in Lincoln City!! You won't be sorry. We got to pick our piece, pattern, and colors. From start to finish, your artist helps you understand the whole scientific process of making glass art. Eric, our artist, was so patient and answered all of our questions. This is a once in a life time opportunity, you won't be sorry!!

It turned out the whole trip was organised around a visit here. Booking in girl was a little surly as if we had interrupted her day, but Daniel the glass blower was ecellent. Very calm and allowed the visitor to be a full part in making their item. We collected the item today and same girl, equally surly handed it over. It is beautiful and well worth the cost and the experience. Very much recommended if you are into glass, or making things or both. We will keep this forever.

Thanks to the interesting Finders Keepers thing, our friend found that we could go to this studio and make our own glass! It was really cool.
Our 8, 10, and 12 year olds had an instructor guide them through the process (see pictures). Perfectly safe and easy to do. (Instructors correcting any small mistakes as they went). We had a great experience and brought home some art! (put them in our suitcases and they made it back to Ohio without issue)

Interesting place. You should know though that some things they sell in the store aren't made there by their glass blowers.
Prices are high but you should expect to pay a bit more for the art!

A combo of shop and workshop. The workshop allows guests to have-a-go at blowing their own piece of glassware. You can watch people being instructed by the onsite professionals. A cool past-time.
The shop has a multitude of beautifully crafted glassware created by local artists. There’s bound to be something that takes your fancy.

This was a fantastic place to visit. The art work is incredible. Such beautiful pieces. This was our first time there and we were blown away.

We were just walking around and saw this amazing place. The public can watch others from beginning to end in the glass blowing art. The public can pay to make their own creation. The gift shop has amazing glass for sale for all budget levels. Definitely worth the visit.

If you're in town visiting, this is a must stop. You can create your own glass float, bowl or a number of other art pieces under the direct supervision of a very patient an well educated staff. We are locals and had friends visiting us and took them here (our first visit too). We where very impressed. Our friends made a beautiful heart paper weight. It was one of the biggest highlights of their trip. Thank you Jennifer Sears for giving us such a great experience.

This was cool to see, and a treat to get to make something. Fabulous guidance, making this a safe and memorable stop.

Interesting, costs some $'s to create your own. Price range for completed work seemed reasonable. Other shops around so good stop. Wish there were actual artists to watch them creating!

Couldn't get into a class but spoke w/a group just finishing one--highly suggested to book ahead for one. Everyone had a great time and came out of it with a piece f art they made--very cool. The gallery is nice to wander through as well.

You can watch the glass artists make things, and even make some glass art yourself with the help of an expert. The store (and gallery across the street) have beautiful glass art at good prices. A fun place to visit.

My husband, my brother, his wife, and I had an amazing time working with Andrew this morning. The facility and staff are a perfect place to blow glass. Thank you.

We had a blast learning how to work with the glass. We made floats and a heart. My daughter (8) had an amazing teacher. He was very patient and very informative. He made her feel very comfortable, even though it is very hot and scary looking into the fire. Our projects all turned out amazing. They have a waiting list to call ahead or be prepared to wait. Also, they have to keep your project for 24 hours in a kiln while the glass cools. Plan ahead so you have time to take it home. They will mail it for you as well.

My beautiful wife and I just made a small bowl. So much fun. Steve was a great teacher, patient, knowledgeable and kind. Great for kids and adults

Had a great time learning what it takes to make the paper weight! I can’t wait to see my master piece today!

Very thing was very cool, and interesting but it felt like I was going to break something but just looking at it. It can be interactive for a price.

My wife made a medium sized float while we were in town and she loved it. She picked each of our favorite colors (red, orange and turquoise) they meshed perfect. The gallery made me nervous to take the kids into but it was great visually inside. I'd suggest everyone do it, didn't take to much time to get done.

In love with my glass float I created with the help of the LCGC! Very creative, educational and fun experience! I want to make another art piece. Sent this one out for a special Birthday gift. Highly recommended if you are ever near Lincoln City.

We went again 3/24/2017 and made the most beautiful hearts. We did it as a family and I would recommend this to anyone. The staff is friendly, the artist talk to you explaining the process. I will do it again.

This is a update to a previous review . In the past I have had a great time coming and blowing glass here . But this time I felt like they wanted to just take your money and rush you in and out as fast as possible . You actually didn't get to do much at all . I really wanted this to be a special thing to do with my family . Because they hadn't done it before . But I was really disappointed . For what you pay they need to go back to how they were and let you participate more .

Lovely studio / gallery featuring blown glass items.
The staff / artist is very friendly.
This is probably not a good place for small children to wander about.

A spur-of-the-moment stop here turned into one of my most favorite experiences. As I entered the shop I noticed a sign that said you could make your own piece of glass art. Fortunately for me, I was there on a day that was not quite as busy as most are and I was able to get signed up immediately. I made a beautiful heart paperweight that I am just in love with. The gal who helped me was very patient and great to work with. I plan to return here next time I'm in the area so I can do another piece! Loved it!

We’ve always wanted to create our own glass float. While looking around the studio we learned they still had openings for that evening. For a $20.00 deposit, you can reserve a spot and then come back later at your time. Then when it’s your time to create your glass, you can actually make a float, heart, votive, or paper weight. We decided to make a heart since it was our anniversary.
We met with our Glass Artist Jolene I believe, and she was Fantastic!!!!
We got to pick 4 colors for the heart. The process took about 25 minutes or so. But as we worked Jolene would explain what it was we were doing and what the mold was doing and how everything was forming. Before you knew it, we were done.
It is extremely hot back there so listen and do exactly as your artist says.
When we were done with our heart, we got to put an imprint of Oregon Coast 2018 and a number. But the glass has to cool overnight. So they ask if you can pick up your item the next day or if you will need it shipped out to you.
This was a fun experience and we are looking forward to doing this again.

Went with my niece and we both made floats. Our instructor was very great. Made us feel very comfortable.

The people that worked there were so nice and really helpful. I was very much involved in making my own glass piece and it was cool to learn all about the whole process. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

Fun stop for mom AND the kids. There's an open air demonstration area where kids could watch the pieces being made by the artists while mom shopped the beautiful show room. The pieces are beautiful in the show room. Definately worth a stop if staying near Lincoln City.

Plan ahead and book a session...
So fun, educational, creative and a very good value!
My husband was able to get a cancellation and the experience was fantastic...teacher was thorough and safe..I was able to photo and video as I liked ( just staying out of the way).
Will come back again and book ahead!

Beyond the beautiful pieces in their showroom the Studio offers guests the chance to make their own piece. The staff are great while taking their charges through the various steps of producing personalized glass art. Hint if staying in Lincoln City or close by make this one of your first stops. Takes art pieces a day to cool down so you need to come back the next day. Second hint make an appointment, just in case they get busy.

Stopped here on our way down the coast, lots of beautiful glass art. It has a working shop where you can make your own glass art.

Watching customers make their own glass treasures is fascinating to watch! There are many beautiful items for sale as well. They are pricey items but well worth the investment for special pieces for your home or gifts for special events.

Great gallery where we watched glass bowls being blown! Wonderful gift shop with wide range of prices.

We always stop at the glass blowing center when we’re in Lincoln City. It’s great to watch the team blowing glass items or assist guests in making something themselves. The shop is also fun to browse-so many beautiful things! A nice way to spend an hour or more in the Taft area.

My daughter got to create a glass ball for me. Such a meet memory of our trip for years to come! Reasonable prices friendly artists and easy local to get to!

We walked over and must have followed a tour group inside. Even the shop was very busy the clerk was friendly and kept up with everyone. We definitely will make s reservation on our next trip to do glassblowing. The glassworks available for purchase is beautiful and there are one of kind pieces.

The kids wanted to check this place out and I remembered it from 15+ years ago when I last visited here. We thought they might make their own floats after scouring the beaches for them unsuccessfully, but they found one the first night. No worries - they had their prize and we made paperweights instead. I went for a jellyfish paperweight as did my oldest daughter and my son made a swirly round paperweight. Our youngest wanted her own float, so she made one. The fact that my 9 year old was able to participate hands on and be happy with my not having to be in the middle was great. I got to actually enjoy making my own while the kids made theirs, each of us with our own coaches. The coaches gauged who could do what, so my 14 year old did a bit more hands on work than the younger two. I was given the chance to possibly mess up (but I didn't) since I was catching on quickly. We all came away with a great time and a thing to take home to tell other people about our trip, which we made.

You can take hours just walking around the gallery because each glass piece is so intricate and the colors are so pretty. I will take a class on my next trip.

This place is just awesome. They have lessons, glass to buy, even blow your own glass. It's pretty pricey, but what an experience. We stood and watched the other people doing it and that was informative enough for us. Great place overall!!

Great learning experience blowing a glass ball. Hands on with great owners. Well worth your time to stop.

My husband and I flew from Minnesota to visit the Lincoln City Glass Center to make our very 1st anniversary gift! We created a beautiful large bowl! We had a blast but I think what made our experience over the top was our teacher Daniel. He explained each step so well; An expert for sure! Afterwards we looked through their shop and bought a bunch of Christmas gifts for our friends and family. We're all about their unique pieces! Thank you Lincoln City Glass Center for such a cool hands-on experience!

I could have spent all day here watching them make bowls!
Next time I may even give it a try :)
They not only have the indoor are to watch, if you're not making one, they also have a garage door like side of the building that they open up so people outside can watch too!
Very cool!

Loved this glass blowing venue. Merchandise was beautiful. Staff was friendly. Would truly go back if in the area!Everything wrapped for travel!

Cool shop that has many glass treasures to pick from. You can sign-up to blow your own glass keepsake.

This is my second time making my own float. Such a wonderful experience and the teacher was awesome as always. The gallery also has some amazing glass items to purchase.

It was cool to help but my hubby and I didn't get to do much for the price. Plus we had 2 different experiences. One guy let me make all the decisions and the other only gave my hubby a few options and made all the other decisions.

One of the highlights of our Oregon trip. The entire family did the glass making experience. The staff so helpful and courteous. It’s such a unique experience. It was pricy but worth it. If you are in Lincoln City, this is a must.

Easy to find - right hand side of the street if heading south from Downtown L.C. A new experience & definitely a hands-on-project for my daughter and I to create our own GLASS FLOATS!! They let us pick our colors and use the tools to create the design. Cost to make (when we did it) was $65.You can pick up your item the next day or they can mail it to you (approx. $15). Next visit - we'll make a starfish paperweight or bowl. Also note: you can purchase items they've made...at least go admire what's there - it's awesome!

The staff was so sweet with my twin boys and myself. They had no problem helping us with our questions and so friendly. We really enjoyed visiting the Glass Center. Thank you ladies!!

Tried this place on a whim while traveling solo in Lincoln City and came home the next day with a cool keepsake and a great new experience!
Shortly before my arrival I had made a reservation online and all was ready to go when I arrived. I picked out which shape and style design I wanted, grabbed my safety glasses and gloves and met with my glass instructor. (Tip: No open toed shoes at this place!)
Everyone was super friendly and the building is partially open to the public so people will likely be watching you create your globe, etc. The whole process took about maybe 20 minutes or so and the instructor made it fun and safe as well as being very informational. Felt a nice sense of accomplishment after putting on the rubber stamp imprint and setting it in the kiln for overnight.
Afterwards I paid, I browsed the amazingly stunning gallery adjacent to the glass studio area and went about my way with a note to return the next day before I left town. Picking it up was a breeze and it was beautiful with a nice glossy look to it. Bigger than expected as well! Pricing wasn't horrible for something so unique..think it cost around $65.
Was inexpensive enough that I treated my mom to one as a surprise when I returned to the coast a year later. She made her own and loved it. A must do when on the Oregon Coast!!

It was a great experience and great staff! We made a glass heart that will remind os of our trip! I would definitely go back!

Visited the Lincoln City Glass Center with my Son and his Girlfriend. They each spent time with a glassblower and chose to make a glass that will be part of their memories of their trip to Oregon. They have done a good job making the event personal since the changes with COVID. I wanted something that would be special for them and they are already talking about what they will do next time they go!

Glass was beautiful. A little something for everyone. Watching them give lessons was very interesting.

Our grandson was able to choose the item he wanted to make, the colors, and design he wanted. The instructor was so knowledgeable and he worked so well with a novice, who's never blown glass before! We learned so much about the glass, the temperature to work with the glass, the curing... Just a great time!! Plus a beautiful globe!

They made me some memorial pieces and did a amazing job! Couldn’t be happier with the outcome! The staff are super friendly and helpful..they connect with you on a personal level:)

Fun time making a beautiful glass piece with my niece! Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of choices.

My husband and I had a very educational experience with lots of fun creating two paper weights that are memorable souvenirs. The instructors truly enjoy their work and you are surrounded by items for purchase as well if you don’t take a class. If you can take the class I would highly recommend.

We have visited here at least a dozen times. We have blown our own floats and have had them blow 4 very special lamp shades for us! Love having these pieces of functional art in our home! Other times we have merely sat and enjoyed others create their own masterpieces - thoroughly enjoyable. Heading back there in a couple of weeks and contemplating which coloours will be used in our next creation!

A few different artists display and sell their wares here. There is also a studio where you can watch them, and even try to make something yourself, with their help of course! The items they have a just beautiful and very unique. I purchased a wonderful blue whales tail. It's displayed in my living room, and many people have commented on how it really ads to the room!

Two grandsons aged 10, each taught separately by an expert glassblower at a different station. Made their own floats. Picked their own colors and style. Were shown each step and then helped to do that step themselves. My wife and I were allowed to accompany each boy. The glassblower that my grandson and I worked with was great at explaining what and why and made this a truly hands-on experience. For $65 each we had a successful experience and each grandson had a beautiful float to take home - that each had made by himself. We also highly recommend making an appointment well ahead of time.
To observe a sample of their experience, one should view the first video on their website, which video is entitled "Ben making a Birthday Float with Kelly." (keep the quotes and place the phrase in Google, which will take you to the video - TripAdvisor does not allow one to copy the URL for you).
As with the young man in the video, our grandsons picked their own colors and pattern. The instructors demonstrated each step and carefully explained how and why.
The pictures attached to this review show one step in the process and a photo of the outstanding instructor.
The website advice is to make an appointment in advance. Glad we did so.

This was so much fun . My husband loves to play with glass , so this was right up his alley. A fun way to spend a rainy day at the beach ! The staff was great so friendly. We will defend be back

You have to try the Glass Art Studio in Lincoln City. You make an appointment and get to assistant in making of a glass paperweight or glass blown bobble. So much fun. The artisans were great with all ages and in 30 minutes you've made a treasure to keep. You pick up the next day so be sure to keep that in mind. All of ours turned out great and can't wait to do it again next year.

This time I didn't make anything; but it is an interesting place on its own. I had worked in stained glass --since I'm so close to Kokomo Opalescent Glass-- but the Glass Center was something inviting and new for me. Tied with the history of the globes being fishing floats, I felt like I was part of that tradition.

My husband and I throughly enjoy making our glass project. Eric was very helpful and answered all our questions. Great fun and you get to take home a wonderful piece of glass you created.

For anyone who has never seen or has little knowledge of how glass is blown, this is a must see! I have seen it done many times and from the description I expected to actually "blow" glass...but no.
The partner assigned to me was clearly following a script - she gave short descriptions of what she was doing but didn't really allow me to do anything other than roll the glass on the marver (while she was still holding it as well). When I asked a question or two that were more in-depth she gave me a short, dismissive answer and moved on to whatever was next on her script.
For nearly $100 I expected a way better hands-on experience.
BTW - the woman with another partner at the same time got to do a LOT more than I did so it seems to be random depending on who gets assigned.

My wife loved the experience, while I took photos. Make you own beautiful float. Very friendly employees dealing with hot furnaces.

The glass was all very beautiful (and expensive) and they even have a make your own option that’s really neat. If you go across the street there is even more glass.

Glass things everywhere. All kinds of decorative items. Anything you can think of. Fish, balls, lockets, all kinds of trinkets. You can even make your own glass item with the help of the professionals. Neat place to stop and shop.

I would definitely recommend going to this studio to make glass creations, the staff is amazing. They help you create your perfect memory.

Well, a friend of ours raved about this, so we had to try it out. We made a reservation (recommended), and showed up a few minutes early. The staff was friendly and informative, and safety was paramount. Both my wife and I made a glass, with each of us watching the other (we made one reservation after the other so that we could watch each other). It was a lot of fun, and we are thrilled with our glasses!

Fun stop to just look at the amazing glass art they have or watch them at work in the warehouse. Or you can choose your own piece to create. Pic from the option decide on your colors and get busy. They have minimum size requirement for safety and they walk you through the stations and guide you through the process. They hold the glass and rod so no worries about doing it wrong or dropping it. Lovely acticing for the kids on a Rainey beach day or even when suns up and the garage doors are open to welcome you.

We stopped by on our way out of town on a rainy morning. How sad that we did not know the day before, so we could make our own glass float and take it home the day we left. We were fascinated by the process of working with the molten glass. The studio has a viewing area so you can see the work in progress. It was well worth our time to check it out. So many beautiful pieces for sale in the gallery, as well.

Fun to sit and watch the glass blowers at work and seeing them assist customers make their first glass float.

Went here for date night. What an amazing experience. There was hands on experience but I’m glad there was a pro there. It’s a very fun memory and we have a beautiful water float we helped make. I highly recommend. Make reservations.

There is a big, open viewing area where you can watch the glass creations being made. It is really fascinating to see how they are formed and the colors that evolve as well. There is a store as well, where you can buy yourself a beautiful piece of blown glass, art work.
also for around $70.00 I think you can have one of their experts teach you how to make your own piece to take home with you. I haven't done this yet but it looks fun

We had a great time working with a staff member to make our own paperweight. Was very interesting to see the process!

Very much enjoyed visiting this unique blown glass shop and seeing the artists and visitors blow glass balls, paper weights and hearts among many other items! With the help of an artist you can actually blow your own glass creation fora not unreasonable but not cheap fee! Great fun and a visit to the shop and glass blowing facilities is free! Prices are reasonable for pens, medallions and coins and smaller blown glass creations and increase based on size and if you blow your own!

What you need to know is that typically you don't just walk in and get to blow your glass art. You need an appointment, and when I called mid-summer, it was 2 days off. You usually get an answering machine since they are working with folks, super busy place - but they will end up calling back. What you make is worth the effort of getting in. Go over to the pastry shop across the road, it's a great stop too. Or spend time in the free museum, there's lots to do at that end of town.

This was a great experience making our own bowl from molten glass, the instructor was had a degree in art ans was very experienced. Highly recommend this activity.

We scheduled ahead to do this and we're glad we did. What a great experience and you get to make your own piece of glassware. We would recommend this to anyone looking to have a good/fun time and learn about glass blowing at the same time. The staff were really friendly and helped make the experience.

Great glass art, priced for tourists who want it now.... but yeah, lovely pieces. Been here a few times before, bought some items, and didn't like the service.
Once again in Lincoln city, and staying close to this shop, I wandered over to see what's new....
What really wasn't new was the somewhat snooty attitude, the look up and down (did I forget to dress correctly?) before the woman bothered to answered my simple question. I decided there and then that I don't need to buy anything, that there are more cool places to visit, and that as an artisan myself I'm sorry for the bad representation.
I did not, however, try glass blowing this time, or ever before, so cannot comment on the service/ attitude on that side.
So, thanks, I won't be back, not even to have just a look. Too bad.

My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary, and we visited the Glass Center. We had Dan help us to make a large bowl to remember our occasion. We both took turns helping, and Dan was very nice, and guided us through the whole process. In the end, we have a very beautiful Blue, Teal, and White bowl sitting on our Dinning Room table. Everyone that has seen it, has said WOW! Come and experience glass blowing yourself, and make your own piece to remember.

Fun experience, a bit pricey ($95 for a small bowl) since you can buy glass for a bit cheaper ($85 in their store) than doing it yourself. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. You pick up the item that you made the next day so schedule it accordingly.

This is both a studio and gallery. There were many glass pieces for sale in the gallery along with some unique jewelry or by appointment, you can blow your own masterpiece. A great place to shop if you are looking for a glass piece to take home.

I had an amazing experience at this studio. They were very organized and knowledgeable walking me through every step. I chose to make a paper weight, but there are many items to choose from. You also choose your colors for your items. Be sure to allow enough time. You can make an appointment and then your item is ready by 10:00am the next day or they can ship it to you. I had a great experience and highly recommend it!

For my 70th birthday I wanted to go here and make a bowl. Folks said I wouldn't get to do much, but they were wrong. I made the small bowl for $95 and it took about half an hour. I did almost all the work and it turned out gorgeous. You need a reservation and be able to pick up the item you make the next day. You can do a small or large bowl or some of the round floats like you find on the beach (if you're lucky).

We didn't have the time to go through and actually do the glass blowing experience, but it was very nice to have their garage doors open to allow any passerby watch them make something. The art of glass blowing takes a lot of work and they have benches outside to just sit and watch the entire process which my daughter enjoyed.

I watched a few different people who had paid to blow their own glass items before deciding that I wanted to try. The instructors are great and I cannot think of a better souvenir or gift than something you have made (with help of course). My glass float turned out great and will always remind me of my beautiful 2017 Oregon Coast Trip! They also have some amazing glass art for sale in their store and across the street in their studio.

We stopped by originally just to look at the glass blowing… And surprisingly, they were able to work us into their busy schedule of customers waiting to experience it. My wife got to form her own heart-shaped paperweight, with her favorite colors incorporated into it. I got to do the video tape… The whole process was about 15 minutes long, and included a lot of detailed instruction and hands-on learning. The glass has to cool overnight, so this may be something you would want to do if you’re in town for a day or two, or else they can ship the item to you at an additional cost. The entire experience was under $100, with some of their items far less than that. Definitely a great memory and keepsake. The people working there, as well as the actual glass blowers, were very accommodating and kind, you could tell they really love what they do.

The hands on experience of helping make an actual piece of glass art of your choice is AMAZING! My instructor was Dan and it was fascinating as he explained every step, and more, of the glass blowing process we were doing. I made a large bowl for my dining room table and love it. The whole staff is so encouraging! There is an amazing gallery with glass pieces, jewelry, and even beads for the reader! Definitely a family event - maybe not all to participate, but watching is incredible as well!!!!

We had a wonderful time. The instructor was terrific, very patient. Explained everything in detail and made the experience fun. Highly recommended!

This was a great way to learn about glass blowing. They have you work with one of their artists and it is very hands on. They are patient and explain each step along the way. A bonus is if you are leaving the next day they will mail you your piece.

We did not find any glass floats from beach-coming, so we took the kids to the Glass Center to see the floats. We were amazed at the variety and loveliness of the glass art there, and our 11 year old ended up blowing a glass float - and it was the highlight of the trip.

We dropped by here one morning during vacation and enjoyed watching the glass-blowing classes and browsing the store. They have items at every price range so if you're looking for an authentic souvenir this is a great place to visit. Lots to see and friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable employees.

Lincoln City Glass Center takes reservations to show you through how they personally make your custom glass piece. It's about a 20-30 lesson; you don't actually make the piece yourself. Our jellyfish turned out perfect!

We made our reservation mid-week for a Saturday experience. My daughter and I made a glass jellyfish together. Plan to spend about an hour from start to finish. It’s a beautiful way to make your own souvenir and learn about glass art.

Amazing customer service by the 5 different staff that helped us on our 2 different visits. Highly recommend signing up for a lesson, we did votives and the lesson was about 25 minutes and went by very quickly. Hands on experience and fun to make an original piece of art!

This Gallery features the fine work of Kelly Howard . Kelly is a graduate of the School of Art Institute of Chicago. Her work is extraordinary! You must visit this gallery when visiting the Central Oregon coast! You will be so glad that you did!

Great experience! Learnt the basics of glass blowing and made a beautiful globe. They offer shipping which is rather expensive but as long as the globe can travel safely back to me it was well worth it.

We stopped by the glass studio on Monday, September 12 and they were making gorgeous blown pumpkins for fall. A team of three artisans were working in tandem to make the pumpkins. One designer doing the color mix of glass, a second would take over and form the pumkin and then a third artist created the stem. One after another and each was a gorgeous work of art. We saw a couple pick up a bowl and a vase that they had made with the help of the studio designers the day before. Well worth the cost if you are interested! I am in total awe of the talent and creativity of this studio.

Was a great time. Staff was wonderful . the glass was so pretty when done. Will be going back again .

We stopped here on our way down the coast, and what a place. Some of the most beautiful pcs. of glass. Makes you wonder how they do it. But you can learn.........if you have the time sign up to blow your own.

Come watch amazing glassblowing artists at work. You can even blow your own glass float with a reservation. Lovely artwork on sale.

Our 12 year old granddaughter was visiting us when she made a beautiful glass heart at the studios - it is a wonderful reminder to her of her time on the coast. There is a stamp impressed on the back of the glasswork with the name of the studio and the year. There are often walk-in appts. available but would suggest calling ahead or going on line to set up a time convenient for you. Each apt lasts about an hour and the glassblowers help and instruct every step. The glass needs to cool at least overnight so you cannot take it with you right away but the studio will ship to you. Prices for different pieces (floats hearts etc.) vary - check on line - I believe they run from about $60 up depending on size.

Fascinating fun; the artists are very friendly and helpful, while letting you do nearly everything to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir.

One thing unique about this place is the colored shells. They are from the beach and have many different colors... they are beautiful but most of the other stuff is the same as every other glass studio. They also offer classes.. Easy access and free parking... The views in the area are beyond beautiful and the people are so very nice!

Great little glass studio. It was fun to watch people make glass. You can watch even if you don't have a reservation to blow glass yourself. Don't miss the studio across the street too for more items for sale.

Everyone there is very friendly and nice to chat with. The glass artwork is amazing. Great place to purchase gifts.

I wanted the experience of making a glass bowl. The staff were very helpful, and I enjoyed the process. Proud (because I helped make it) and happy the way it turned out.

Went to Lincoln City to participate in Finders Keepers where “Float Fairies” hide hundreds of glass floats all along the beachfront.
Participated in a fun glass blowing class offered by Lincoln City Glass. Had a great hands on experience with a fun teacher. You get to choose your item (glass floats of varying sizes, paper weights, vase) each with a reasonable fee.
CALL EARLY for the glass blowing
This is such an amazing place. You can watch them blow glass to make vases, paperweights or the really spectacular float balls of all sizes and colors. There are quite a few for purchase on display, or if you're really lucky, you can make your own. We were passing through down the coast, and I tried for two days to get an appointment for my kids. No one picked up the phone. Ever. It was during regular business hours. We drove in anyway, really hoping they could fit us in. Alas, no. I explained that I'd been trying to make an appointment, and was told that they're just really busy. I believe it! We stayed and watched someone else blow a float, and it looked like something you'd remember for a very long time, not to mention getting to have a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
