Behind the scene tour

By LadaPl |

We were the only people that day for the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, animals reacted very naturaly as there were no outer distractions. They take very good care for them. I loved also feeding the giraffe. He was very sweet and tender.

Don't Bother

By Nick Davies |

The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the attraction was poor with a fre parrots, some emus and quite a few lions. No giraffe as I was told it had died. We found it boring and it only took us about 4o mins to go round it. A waste of money.

Amazing

By Lou C |

Was blown away by this place, first visit and walked in to find a lion ready for photos ops, he was loving it as he was being feed loads, couldn’t believe how close you get to all the loins and the staff were great and very informative. What I loved most was that I got to see a lioness that I’d had a photo with when she was a baby when they used to take them to MGM hotel back it 2011, so was lovely to see her now as a full blown adult. Not a massive place but if you love lions it’s perfect

It’s a fun place

By Amy T |

This is great for families, or just people that love animals. It’s a sanctuary for the lions, tigers, there’s a resident artist giraffe among other animals. It was hot when I went in September. You could tell the animals were really hot as they were hiding in side their den but still hot.

Last Minute Surprise

By mdnelson2001 |

A new place we discovered,we fell in love with it all.
We got the last booking of the day, and got there in time to see a giraffe paint. 🦒 spent 2 hours and they had to close up. Staff were friendly and informative, enjoyed it all.

A really nice way to spend a few hours!

By Birdee S |

I visited the Lion Habitat ranch for a couple of hours during the week. It wasn't crowded and easy to navigate. Very clean, and the animals are well taken care of. Lots of friendly volunteers working who were able to answer questions about the animals in their care.

Birthday Boys

By Anna H |

We did the Behind the scenes tour. Alex our tour guide was awesome! Megan helped my nephew feed Winston and Cheeto! Ozzie and friends lions turtles big and little birds loved them all. We appreciated all the workers taking great care of these animals. Behind the scenes cost more than regular entry but it was worth it my nieces and nephews will never forget it. Totally recommend visiting and support these beautiful animals. God Bless you for all your hard work.

Great fun for the family

By lawrencenisejr |

We enjoyed all of the animals, and the Ozzie experience was second to none. I highly recommend it to all families with children that love animals.

Fun times!

By VegasLeann |

Me and a few friends did the behind the scenes tour and so glad we decided to pay the extra money for it! Kat was our guide an she was so informative and friendly to all the animals and guests on the tour. We also got to feed Ozzie the Giraffe, which was exciting! We also received souvenirs and a picture with Swifty.

Roar

By Collegestudent365 |

Rocky the lion was well worth the visit. George and Harry was exciting to see while interacting with one another. Coco and Cheea was very pleasing. Remarkably adorable in their own SASSY way. Overall experience was well worth the visitation. Shall return for more exciting fun. See the team and crews soon.

Perfect day out

By JJ L |

My family and I had an amazing time. The animals all seemed happy and well cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful. The handlers were engaged and informative. We loved feeding Aussie the Giraffe. Perfect photo opportunity

Amazing!

By JamieStoneburner |

Excellent experience! All 4 of my children under the age of 6 got to feed a giraffe and were so excited about it! The trainer who assisted them was very kind and helpful. And my sister and I shared feeding a lion and was one of the coolest experiences ever, plus the trainer got the lion to stand up high for a super cool picture after!

Surprised by how good this place was

By Lee P |

Small but mighty! A great opportunity to get regular, intimate facetime with various animals, with events taking place (and announced) frequently throughout the day, with super passionate and caring experts. The kids and adults loved it alike -- far superior to the big zoo experience.

Dana was amazing - we did the behind the scenes tour and it was breathtaking!

By ChrisGower1975 |

This is one of the best things we have ever done in Las Vegas. It is about a 25 minute drive from the strip and we were greeted by Dana who was so lovely, thorough, informative, knowledgeable, caring and a lot of fun!

We did so much - we fed a giraffe, fed lions and felt really special and honoured doing this. So much so that we would 100% do it again.

Thank you all and thank you Dana!

Great for All Ages!

By Linda M |

The Lion Habitat, not far from the Strip, was a great find. There are 26 lions and Ozzie the Giraffe (who paints) and other animals. Get there early and maybe you can catch a few lions eating breakfast (hand fed meat from the trainers) really up close. You don't need to bring children, it's an awesome event for all ages.

A Hidden Gem for Families to Enjoy in Las Vegas

By pdelligatti |

I have had several of my grandchildren come to visit me over the years and my husband and I have always taken them to the Lion Habitat Ranch to see the lions, but to also feed Ozzie the Giraffe. This past Friday, our 11 year old granddaughter was visiting and we treated her to the unbelievable experience of painting with Ozzie. What we didn't realize was that she would have an audience as she fed the 9 year old Giraffe and handed him a paint brush after each carrot to swipe at a canvas helf by one of the ranch staff. Mikayla was thrilled beyond words at this experience and it was well worth the trip out to Henderson. It is something she will never forget. I would highly recommend planning this little excursion as part of your family vacation while in Las Vegas and please don't forget to make a donation while you are there, as your donation helps to feed and support the care of the animals that are lived on the Lion Habitat Ranch.

Great Affordable Gem

By mmcgougan |

If your looking to do something on a budget which is rare in vegas, this is great for a little day time escapade. If you want to spend a little more, pretty cool feeding the giraffe.

Lion feeding isn’t the best value for money, although fun.

Local Lion Habitat Ranch is a must visit

By sharrongrodzinsky |

Even though the Lion Habitat is close by, we had not visited it. I took my husband there for his birthday. It is very clean and the animals look in great condition. Lions sleep most of the day but while we visited they were fed snacks which was interesting and they received stimulation with the staff playing with a ball just outside the four female lion's cage and they chased the ball along the fence line. The birds are quite vocal and colorful. Some of the lions are from the MGM and some have been added since. It is a non-profit organization for the education about and preservation of lions. Hours are limited so check their website.

Amazing

By bldabonfire |

This place stunned me. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t an intimate, fun, unique habitat. The staff were helpful and friendly..all the animals were active and had a lot of stimulation. We did the tortoise feeding which was a dream come true for me and we fed the female lion Cheeto which was amazing for my wife. Worth every penny

Can't wait to go back!

By Shooty23 |

My wife and I decided to go celebrate her birthday with Ozzie for his birthday and had a great day, the entire staff was amazing and really created an experience that exceeded our expectations. We also did the behind-the-scenes tour and the lions were such a cool up close and personal experience. Finished our day with a painting from Ozzie, we will not forget our trip, best part of Vegas! Thank you

Below average

By Kimberly |

Underwhelming. Doesn't provide a very unique experience. Yes you will see lions, that's it. For the price, not worth it personally. In addition, no giraffes on site right now.

A Family Must-Do outside of Vegas

By RoadTrippin721 |

Such a great time with our two children at the ranch! It was an unexpectedly cold and rainy day, but the workers were amazing making sure we got great interaction with the animals. We purchased the extra giraffe feeding as well which our kids loved. The ranch was so well-maintained and the animals were beautiful. We enjoyed our visit so much and encourage other families to support this ranch.

So Many Beautiful Lions!

By Christina Kimball |

We had a great time on the Behind The Scenes tour! We learned a lot about the lions, birds, giraffe, and other animals they have. One of the best parts is that our tour guide had food and enticed the Lions to the fence so we could see them and their personalities. Lions are so beautiful! We also got to hear the lions talk to each other, which was pretty amazing. on the tour you get to arrive before the habitat opens to the public, and it allows for a intimate experience in side, the habitat. It wasn’t rushed and we got to enjoy all of the animals for a good amount of time and really get to know their stories. we also got to hand feed the giraffe! After our tour was over, we got to remain and walk around at our leisure. I highly recommend this experience as you really get to enjoy the animals in an uncrowded environment.

Awesome Time

By jirh13 |

We had an awesome time. We went around 11am which seemed to be a good time, the lions were up and playful; as we were leaving they all seemed to be resting, though it had also become fairly hot. The giraffe was awesome too. The staff was all very nice. They do great work; we had such a nice time.

Excellent lions and giraffe

By hiebert42023 |

The tour guide was excellent. The info was wonderful to learn so much I am thankful that I got to see this on my Vegas trip

A Roaring good time!

By Amy M |

This was one of the coolest experiences we have ever done! The lions and learning about them and each of their stories was incredible! Thank you for the amazing feeding experience with Cheeto and Winston! The pictures you take afterward are so neat and definitely frame worthy! Our son is still talking about feeding Cheeto and how cool it was and could we go back! Thank you to all of the keepers that took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answer our son’s questions. We hope you continue your great work!!!

Outing with Friends

By bckite2000 |

Had a great time seeing the lions and the giraffe. It’s best to go earlier in the day than later as the lions like to sleep in the afternoon. The employees are knowledgeable about the lions there and answered all the questions we had for them.

The Kids Loved It!

By CynCity17425 |

We bought tickets for our family of three, as well as for our brother and sister and their 6 children. It was a wonderfully affordable way for us to all spend our Saturday together and the kids have raved about it since! They each got to hand feed Ozzie the giraffe, and even the 1 year old was excited. The Habitat has an old safari jeep where you can stop and take pictures, and the shocked look on their faces when they turned around to see a lion right behind their heads was priceless. If you haven’t visited the Lion Habitat Ranch, believe me, you are missing out! We cannot recommend it enough. 10/10!

Lion Habitat

By William R |

Excellent adventure for people of all ages. Animals have a clean and safe environment. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

A sad place.

By rugbytripi |

Was hoping for better. I feel very bad for these animals. A dirt floor and a plywood box - in the middle of LV where its 104 degrees. That is their life. I feel worse for employees who’ve been trained to say “the lions dont know better they have been here their whole life”. Man - these lions allegedly came drom MGM. I think the casino needs to give more money for care. You know. Maybe they could plant even a single tree or a proper shelter. I would say dont support this sad, badly equipped place - but then the lions would probably starve to death.

Rare experience

By Tricia R |

See lions up close and a painting giraffe. Very small facility. Paid a lot for two to feed a lion but feel it was very rushed. Overwhelming smell of urine. Keepers were very kind and it seems very under staffed. Price to go in was good as well as the gift shop. The price to feed was reasonable and understandable, however, the quickness and rushing feeling was a lot! No outside drinks or food are allowed, however, the gift shop ran out of water on a day where the temperature was 109 outside.

Amazing place! They care for unwanted lions, a nonprofit at that.

By Matthew |

So I don’t understand why anyone would give this place a bad review. This place has taken unwanted, abandoned lions, and are caring for them, when zoos or other establishments cannot take them, this place will. It is a nonprofit organization, so they don’t have the same funds as a city zoo, some of their lines have came from places like MGM grand, who no longer were profiting from them and didn’t want them anymore, they also have lines from the Las Vegas zoo that was closed down, and the Lions had no other place to go. Humans are the fault that places like this even need to exist, and the work that they do here gives the lions a good quality of life because they cannot send them back out into the wild. They also have lions that are extinct in the wild and the only ones that exist are in captivity due to poaching and killing of these lovely creatures. I would recommend going here and supporting what they do, and before leaving a bad review make sure you’re knowledgeable of the place that you’re reviewing.

Amazing animals, exceeded expectations

By zemelb |

We live 5 minutes down the street from the Lion Habitat Ranch but somehow have never actually went until yesterday, and we were so glad we did!

We figured maybe they had 2-3 lions and the giraffe everyone talks about. We didn't expect the macaws, ostriches, emus, and probably 8-10 lions (the retired MGM lions and their offspring).

At first glance, you'd be forgiven for being suspicious of whether this place is legit or not. It's not as visually appealing as most people are accustomed to in traditional zoos, the enclosures aren't covered in fake rocks and trees and such. But we very quickly realized these animals are happy and healthy and have everything they need. Both the paid staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly, and obviously care deeply about the animals and their wellbeing.

For $10 you (or your kids) can feed Ozzie the giraffe, making for some great family photos. For significantly more money (I believe $100), you can feed raw meat to one of the lions. 2 guest-sponsored lion feedings happened while we were there, and we were happy to see how safely they were performed. We were also informed that while these lions had all been used to direct human contact when they were working, once they retired they stopped getting direct contact and now all interaction with them happens with at least a fence in between. Again, safety of both humans and the animals seems to be of primary importance.

We spent about an hour walking around, and normally I'd say $20 for an hour is a bit on the expensive side, but knowing the expenses this non-profit incurs to keep these animals well fed and safely housed makes me OK with it, and I'd gladly pay it again. We were so impressed we're even considering volunteering there.

Overall I highly recommend a visit. If you're a tourist coming to Vegas, this would be a nice way to get off the Strip for a little bit and let your money do some good for these wonderful animals. Also, the M Resort casino is about 2 blocks over, so you can go right back to gambling afterwards 🙂

A fun experience and a great place to support wild animals in need of a home

By Chris W |

Very fun to see exotic animals up close and well taken care of. The star of the show, for me, was Ozzy the giraffe. He was fun to feed and watch paint. He holds a brush in his mouth and paints on whatever you put in front of him! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Will be back, for sure!

Absolutely must see if you’re in Vegas !!!

By katherine092022 |

The location isn’t too far from the strip so if you’re in that general area the drive will be like 10-15 minutes max. It’s not a stressful drive if you’re not one for crowds. Check in process was easy. Such a lovely and unique experience. I came around 10am and was there for the feeding of the lions and got to watch Ozzie the giraffe paint. The best of all, TRULY, was when the lions started bellowing out to each other. Like a morning check in. Gave me goosebumps because it was something I’ve ever only heard on documentaries so that was definitely unforgettable. The staff was extremely friendly and you can tell they love their jobs as well as the animals. Cool little gift shop too and bathrooms and refreshments inside. Truly a gem!

Great experience!

By Jacobfetty |

The animals were well taken care of, it was quite a sight to see!! Be sure to pick up a bracelet in the gift shop so you can support and track one of these majestic beasts!

Lion Habitat Ranch

By Kenneth J |

I took my visiting nine-year-old granddaughter and five-year-old grandson to this attraction. They both fed lettuce to Ozzie the Giraffe which was an experience they will never forget. Then we watched six of the lions being fed. You can stand about six feet from the enclosure fence which is chain link. The person feeding the lions causes them to stand on their hind legs against the fence which provides an exceptional view of the animals. You really get a close look at their teeth, paws and overall size. My grandchildren, my son and daughter-in-law and I had a wonderful time.

Ozzie was Amazing! So were all of the Incredible Lions!

By 189larry2024 |

We did a behind the scenes tour and learned about all of the amazing animals here. It was awesome to see the care that the staff have for these animals. Feeding Ozzie was incredible!

Different and Interesting Vegas Activity!

By katied326 |

Super family friendly Vegas activity. I am not a zoo person and thought this was neat. Love the project and what they are doing.

Wonderful experience

By marsbarspaniels28 |

I was A little hesitant to go. I was expecting a dirty place with uncared for animals. The Facility was very clean the animals all seem happy and well taken care of.

You Won't Be Lyoning Around

By 320glenno |

I highly recommend checking out this wonderful facility by taking the Behind-The-Scenes tour. You will be paired with an expert staff member that is not only very knowledgeable about the lion species but also knows each of the lion's birthdays and particular lineage. I was very fortunate to be paired up with Ali (like in the Karate Kid, not Muhammed Ali). Ali is a young professional that graduated from the Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College in California. Her love for these magnificent big cats, as well as the avian and tortoise residents on property, showed in her warm playful interactions with each animal. Simply visiting the ranch with a general admission ticket isn't enough because you gain no insight with any of the lions there. I also highly recommend taking part in the lion feeding opportunity. Seriously, where else are you going to get a chance to experience such a thing. They give you 6 large Nebraska meatballs, and you get to feel the pressure from the lion's tongue as it licks it from the feeding tube. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased a second feeding. The first feeding was with their largest male, Winston, The second feeding was with their female, Cheeto. I also purchased their tortoise feeding. Spike was very fast for a tortoise, and he was hungry. I was a solo visitor, but I was able to have someone from my tour group to record my Winston feeding on my phone. A staff member volunteered to record my Cheeto feeding, and Ali recorded me and took photos of my time with Spike. This was one of my favorite activities during my visit to Las Vegas. Lion Habitat Ranch is a must-see facility for all you animal lovers out there and suitable for everyone.

Fun for an hour

I would like to see more filled cages. I hope there will be more interactive exhibits soon and instruction.

Have been wanting to go to Lion Habitat Ranch for a long time. I took my teen granddaughter for the Behind The Scenes Experience. We had a great time. I recommend going.

Lions and a Giraffe that Paints

By Jim E |

Basically a retirement home for some of the lions from the MGM casino, they also have Ozzie the painting giraffe, and some exotic birds from other zoos. Staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. Allocate at least 90 minutes for a visit, make sure to see Ozzie paint and see the lions get feed by the staff. Located down the street from a couple of Amazon warehouses, great place to visit if you have a few hours to spare when in Las Vegas. Admission price was very reasonable and the items in the gift shop are reasonable as well.
Highly recommended.

Got to feed lions

By davidsmetz |

My wife and I got to feed Lucky I think was his name. Three big hand sized meatballs each. He was a bit of a talker he got roaring a few times but that was fun. A little intimidating to be so close to something so big. You can tell the animals are well feed and cared for. While we didn’t get a painting from Ozzy the giraffe he seams to be a great artist.

Amazing Day!!

By April M |

My husband and I found this gem on YouTube and we were not disappointed!! We had a wonderful time visiting the numerous lions and lionesses. Ozzie delivered as promised. I am so glad that I decided to add feeding the lions. It was one of the most amazing experiences even though they added the plexiglass tube for the feeding. Winston was full of personality so I am happy that glass tube was there to slide the meat into his mouth. I will never forget our amazing time here. It was a very breezy summer afternoon but the park had several shaded areas to enjoy the habitats. The staff was incredibly informative and the volunteer staff were truly dedicated. I highly recommend a visit to this awesome place!!! We will return with our adult children the next time in Las Vegas. Tip: Book the early time slot while the lions are more active.

Great to do with Kids

By rachelacosta1 |

The place was so clean and all of the workers were attentive, kind, and seemed to love their job. The workers were also knowledgeable and answered animal questions.

Fabulous experience

By Lori K |

Did the behind the scenes tour, was fantastic! Guide was great! Very educational and interaction with lions.

Family Fun Day

By patriciasullivan64 |

My adult son and I really enjoyed our visit. We were surprised at how many lions there were. Also seeing Ollie the giraffe was such a treat! The place was clean and all of the animals looked very well taken care of. Would highly recommend paying this place a visit!

Brilliant experience

By BeccyC |

This was absolutely brilliant, It is located just of the strip and will cost between 20-25 dollars if you get an uber depending on the time of day, We loved walking round and seeing all the lions, Ozzy the giraffe and friends. For an extra 10 dollars we were able to feed the giraffe and an extra 100 dollars I was able to feed one of the lions which as someone who loves lions was an amazing experience, All Money spent here goes back into the care of the animals which is fab. We had such a good time and was a nice few hours away from the strip. We will definitely being doing this again on our next trip. We really did enjoy our time here

Great Experience

By ecristabel |

It a very surprise adventure, ver short but worth it. Seen a giraffe 🦒 doing some ART, it amazing, you guys are doing an amazing job….thank you

Unfortunate or fortunate? Let's talk about quality of LIFE!

By MsInformedALWAYS |

As I already stated on a goggle review & was asked to review here? It is wonderful they are maintaining the lives, such as they are, of these magnificent large cats. My problem is? A concrete floored and caged environment is not one to "retire" in - rather? More room, a more natural "field" environment would be utterly more prefereable and kind and better gym toys for them. I was and am, disappointed. It is of no wonder Sigfried & Roy chose to have their own white tigers displaced to a more preferable "resort" in Texas as a sanctuary to live out there lives....Yes, I know these people are doing the best they can in Henderson - but I was and am aghast at the environment of these retired lions. Sorry...

A Lifetime Experience! WE FED A LION!

By Sheri M |

WOW - So memorable to see and learn about all the beautiful animals at Lion Habitat Ranch. You are able to start your day by being immersed in the lives of these animals. We also fed the Giraffe - super cool - but even more awesome was feeding the LIONS! They are such beautiful creatures and getting that close is something no one could ever forget. Make sure you take the time to learn and go to this unique experience!

Lions in the desert.

By john o |

An amazing off strip activity that you will enjoy with or without kids. At the very least you are supporting a good cause. A staff that love there animal friends and animals that love the care they get. Spend some of your vacation with these beautiful creatures.

Fun photo opportunities

By STLTravelBug |

We arrived just when a lion was getting treats and visitors could take fun photos. The staff was very friendly and welcomed questions. The lion roaring just out of the blue was exciting to hear. We watched visitors feed the giraffe for quite awhile as it was just fun to watch and great photo opportunities. The giraffe even painted a shirt and the handler gave a talk that was informative. It might be a good idea to go earlier in the morning, we went late morning and it was already getting hot so some of the lions were sleepy and hiding away in the shade. The Lion Habitat Ranch was a fun and interesting place to visit and I would go back again.

An absolute gem on the outskirts of Vegas

By Skad1972 |

Am absolute gem on the outskirts of Vegas. Lion Habitat maybe, but Ozzie the Giraffe is the one that steals the limelight. Could've stayed & watched him all day. Will definitely be paying another visit in the future.

By Holly H |

I love this place. I can't wait for my grandkids to visit so we can bring them there. The people that work there are all so knowledgeable and informative, they really take the time to really talk with you.

Great experience!!

By danielrangel2022 |

It was a wonderful place to visit, staff was very friendly and informative. Definitely worth visiting when you come into Vegas.

Ozzie’s Fan Club

By brookemudkaplan |

The Lion Habitat Ranch was simply wonderful. We were able to get as close as safety would allow to all the animals. The lions were masjestic, the birds beautiful, and the highlight for us was Ozzie the giraffe. Feeding him was amazing. He’s a beautiful and patient animal. Very social!

Great place to get away from the world!

By caroljthompson8 |

I enjoyed the whole experience. The giraffe painting was so so cute. The Lions look happy and loved. The staff was very nice and informative. 10 out of 10

Highly recommend!

By tjcamaz |

This is a welcome distraction from the Las Vegas strip. Be sure to get there to watch them feed the lions and to watch the giraffe do his painting. The staff was very friendly and willing to tell you all about the lions. Great way to spend a couple hours.

Very Knowledgeable Staff!

By onelmichele24 |

My husband and I were very impressed with the cleanliness of this place as well as the access to the animals. The staff/volunteers were so knowledgeable about the care and feeding of the animals as well as teaching about them. Many of the animals were active, and we witnessed them getting snacks from the staff. All of the animals looked very healthy, too! This would be a great place to bring children because the staff really takes the time to educate the visitors.

Grrreeeaaatt!!

By N8130OZjimw |

We thoroughly enjoyed bringing our granddaughter there to see the lions, birds, tortoises, and especially Ozzie the giraffe and getting to feed him. Everything is well organized and thought out.

Three Granddaughters Loved it

By Gail C |

I took my three teenage granddaughters who loved it. All of the staff were so nice. They fed the lions so the girls could get up close and they talked to my girls about each lion so that they could get a history of each one. They got so involved they want to go again the next time they come. So nice to see my girls smiling and happy.

Stunning animals

By David L |

This was a wonderful place to visit. It helped that the weather cooperated, and it wasn’t terribly hot in the desert. All of the lions were very cooperative and were friendly towards us. The parrots and tortoises added to the fun of seeing all these amazing animals. They all look very healthy, well fed, and well tended to. The volunteers and other doses were wonderful hosts to us. They answered all our questions and actually provided more information than we.

What a neat place!

By LG |

I really enjoyed seeing the lions and giraffe. Watching the giraffe paint is amazing. I also enjoyed the enrichment demonstrations with the lions. The gift shop has some great gifts. I'd highly recommend a visit!

Great experience at the lion habitat!!

By markrosa9879 |

I took my wife and daughter to the Lion habit for the first time and it was really fun. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The high light of the trip was meeting and feeding Ozzie the giraffe. Thank you for the experience, we definitely will be back.

Loved this place.

By Christina i |

This place is awesome. You have a chance to feed the lions. I will definitely go back when I'm on Vegas.

Pleasant place to visit

By bridgetgmac |

Not a far drive from the strip. Well worth going to. It is a pleasant place with lions, a giraffe and birds. It’s very neat to be able to get so close to these amazing animals

Well worth it!

By samiulanski |

This was even better than my husband and I imagined! We didn’t know that it was a non-profit until we got there; ticket sales go directly to the animals, which all seem to be well-loved and taken care of! We both LOVED it and had so much fun seeing the birds, giraffe, emus, and huge, majestic lions so close and learning about them from the educated, enthusiastic workers!

A Delightful Experience

By hwarrendirect |

It was wonderful to see these beautiful animals close up and to learn so much more than during a visit to a larger zoo.
The use of plexiglass to allow for unobstructed photos is a great idea. It almost makes the visit even more special.
We’ll be back.

Awesome attraction highly recommend!

By Baila M |

This is a unique experience and the entire family of all ages had a blast! I highly recommend this attraction and definitely pay the extra fee to feed the lion!

Honest Review

By Chaotic_demon |

Really great place with a lot of really great people, visited the ranch for my birthday it was so much fun, very educational as well as friendly and genuine workers, I got to feed Winston it was very awesome! I highly recommend it!

Must See!!!

By AngieWonder |

The Lion Habitat Ranch is incredible! We went on Easter weekend. They had a scavenger hunt, many animal interactions that we could view or participate in, and even an incredible giraffe named Ozzie who paints! He is the sweetest! All of the staff were very friendly too. My daughter won a costume contest and got to do a painting with Ozzie! It is a memory we will cherish forever! It is definitely worth visiting! We will be returning soon!

Up Close With Lions

By SweetSueSeattle |

We took the behind-the-scenes tour with Robert. It was both fascinating and educational. Highly recommended.

Great for kids

By Bill B |

Trainers were around and ready to help. They made an effort to get the loins out for snacks so you could see them up close.

Lifetime memories

By kmakanani1 |

This was a core memory for my family. I loved how the staff took their time answering all our questions about the animals. Ozzie the giraffe was a hit. My family and I was able to feed him for $10.00 each. It was worth it.

By Leslie P |

The entire sanctuary was great. Watching the lion being Feb and the giraffe painting were highlights. Special shout out to the volunteers and trainers, very helpful and knowledgeable. Fun to chat with, we really learned a lot from them. Would recommend anyone to visit. Caution, Benny the lion near the Giraffe thinks it's funny to spray people within 15 ft of his cage.

Pretty cool!

By Fliflet |

It was amazing to see the Lions and Giraffe! Stayed for about an hour and watched all the lions get fed and got to feed the Giraffe and see what she was able to “perform” with her paintings and bow at the end! Hopefully it continues.
We visited a lion/tiger rescue in Florida and it wasn’t as cool as the one here in Las Vegas! Will come back when we are in Vegas again!

Who Knew?!

By CandiceF2228 |

I had no idea there were lions in Henderson! It was a lot of fun. The kids loved feeding the giraffe and getting their picture taken with the lion! Great place to take the kiddos…

Such a cool place!!

We had 7 children (baby to teenagers) with us and they all had a blast! The facility was clean, the staff was nice and the animals were really cool! It is amazing to see lions that close. The talking birds and giraffe were so much fun too!

Giraffe custom painting

By Gingeraffe97 |

I had the Ozzie custom painting and it was more than worth it!! My friend did the lion feeding and it was so worth it! All around an amazing place and staff was just as AMAZING as the animals!! Super pleased!

By Arianna W |

We had such a great time! Perfect for the whole family. It was great to see the special bond the staff has with the animals.

An Experience of a Lifetime!

By Jaydee M |

I came to this experience with expectations to just see lions, my experience surpassed those expectations! First hand experience with Lions. Witnessed feeding, relaxing and all volunteers/workers were welcoming/informative. Definitely would recommend that EVERYONE child and adult visit. Definitely once in a lifetime. Worth every penny and more! Fed a giraffe and saw loads of other animals. Beautiful experience! Don’t hesitate, just go!

Ten stars out of five

By marie b |

Did the behind the scenes tour on a Tuesday. They are closed to the public on Tuesdays so we got to see more of what they have to do. Absolutely incredible experience. Loved our guide, got to see multiple feedings, AND Tuesdays, it’s the lions shank bone treat day, so they were super excited to get it, they only get it once a week.

Ozzie the giraffe is so cute! Got to feed him and gets some great pics too.

Must do if you are in Vegas. Great for young and old alike!

Definitely will be going here again!!

HIDDEN GEM IN LV !!

By Alyssa L |

My family and I were looking for something to do and stumble upon the Lion habitat. Who knew their were lions in Vegas and the only giraffe in Nevada?!?!

Upon arrival we checked in and got our wristbands (TIP: make sure to complete your waivers online- makes entry faster), the park is self guided and much bigger than we expected. We’ve been to a couple of zoos before but this Habitat was much cleaner and the animals look so well taken care of!!

We got to feed Ozzy the Giraffe and watch other visitors feed a couple of lions ! It was so fun to watch and most of the time we stood and watch in amazement. The Lions are beautiful and of Favorites are Swifty and ReyRey.

BEWARE: The Lions really do pee up to 15 ft. Lol , we learned that the hard way but it had no smell and it was too funny (Thanks Benny).

All in all the experience we amazing and anyone thinking about visiting …. DO IT !! We bought a few souvenirs from the gift shop and created a lot of wonderful memories !

^^ we also spent 2 hours here ! Lol we really enjoyed it. 10/10 recommend 😊

Lions roar!

By lydiaprado |

Close look at beautiful animals including lions, giraffe, tropical birds. All staff knowledgeable and eager to educate; share personal stories of animals. Great to observe caretakers loving what they do.

Great place to get close to a Zoo fix in Las Vegas

By mtlforlife72 |

The keepers were great about sharing information about the lions and engaging them with meat treats so the cats would entertain. Ditto the enrichment activity that triggered a roaring session among the cats that was an impressive event. The lions are well cared for here and the attentiveness of the staff for them is omnipresent. It came across as a safe, professional venue with great pic opportunities.

Lion Habitat Ranch

By T1378GDkevin |

This was a sad place for a lion. Bunch of lions in a dirt pen and chain link fences. All the animals looked depressed and broken. The park could use some nicer pens for these animals. Its cool to see lions but sad to see them in that place.

Pleasantly surprised

By car2cam2024 |

We found this to be an unexpected enjoyable day. The handlers were so knowledgeable about each of the animals and were able to educate us about the lions and Ottis the giraffe. The Lions are well cared for and so beautiful. The most exciting part of the day was when the lions all started to talk to each other. The sound of the roaring actually felt like it shook the ground! Did you know that giraffes are going quietly extinct do to poaching for their tails??? They are more endangered than elephants! Horrifying! This LION HABITAT is a non-profit.Please help them by supporting them with a visit to the compound or sending a donation. It doesn't look like much from the outside but for us it was money well spent.

Behind the Scenes tour was GREAT !

By Shannonshannonk |

I recently booked the Behind the Scenes tour for 4. We had such a great time! MEGAN was our tour guide, and she was great. So much information! We got to see the lions up close, watching her interact with them. And Ozzie the Giraffe. My personal favorite. He is the only giraffe in Nevada.

This is a wonderful sanctuary for the animals and they are treated great - you can just tell.

Fantastic

By kmjaime91 |

Best part of our trip. Loved seeing all the lions but our favorite part was being able to feed the giraffe.

Behind the Scenes tour at Lion Habitat was a great experience, highly recommend a visit.

By ronald c |

My wife and I took the behind the scenes tour on April 7th. It lasted 1 1/2 hrs and was well worth it. Our guide was Megan who has a degree in animal care and management. She knew a great deal about lions and their behavior and we learned some new facts as well as the stories of the individual lions themselves. It was very rewarding to get so close to the lions who all appear to be well cared for and in great shape.

Great experience with fantastic staff

By John L |

Cool place to visit on the outskirts of Vegas. Amazing Lions to be seen up close and the staff were so friendly and informative. We also had the personal pleasure of Ozzy the giraffe paint a picture for us which we proudly display in our house!

Had a roaring good time

By Daryl D |

We had always meant to check out the Ranch and finally had a chance to go back in May. We remember the lions from the MGM days and have always wanted to see where they ended up. I was surprised to see how many animals and lions in particular. You get to see them more up close than a typical zoo and depending on the time of day doing more than just sleeping. We were especially surprised by the giraffe and paid extra to feed him, which was neat. It's amazing that the giraffe is so much more expensive to feed than the lions. We spent 1-2 hours there. It was a nice distraction to all the casinos and not something you'd expect to see. Especially great if you have kids, but we were two adults and had a great time.

Family Fun

By edwardkopf |

A great Family Day! My 2-year-old grandson is still roaring! Don't miss feeding Ozzie. Would be a nice place for a picknick.

Great for little kids!

By mrasa702 |

Wanted a small affordable place to take my littles (5 & 2 years old) to see animals. With littles it’s always a toss up if they would like a place or be too overwhelmed by crowds etc. The Lion Habitat Ranch is a perfect place for littles. Not crowded, just enough to see, walkable for little ones, we even fed the Giraffee and it was such a cute & fun experience!

The Lion Habitat

By Susan W |

I have visited The Lion Habitat so many times since moving to Las Vegas. Whenever I have family or friends visit from out of state, I take them to visit the Lions, Birds, Emu's Ostriches, Tortoises and Ozzie the giraffe. For a fun time I have visited with my local friends. So many residents of Las Vegas have told me they did not know there was a Lion Habitat in Henderson. A visit to "The Lion Habitat" followed by lunch at the nearby M Resort Casino, Raiders Cafe is a perfect way to spend the day!!

Such A Wonderful Place

By teresamd0906 |

Took the grandkids here and ended up staying a few hours! The staff is always around to do a feeding or answer any questions. We also enjoyed watching the giraffe show and took puctures with him. We all truly loved this place!

Up Close Views

By catarose |

The animal areas were very clean. Staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Was interesting to see them interact with the animals just a few feet away from us. Definitely a go to place when we have out of town guests.

Very Impressed!

By Meredith_1680 |

We visited this weekend for Ozzie's 10th Birthday Celebration and had a wonderful time. It was our first time to the rescue and I was thoroughly impressed. I had no idea how many lions would actually be there. I was expecting a few, but WOW, there were so many beautiful male and female lions. So amazing! And of course Ozzie was the star of the show! It was great and my daughter (3.5yo) had a ball. Thank you!

Lion Habitat Ranch

By Ronald John B |

Great experience, not only for the teens but also for the adults. The giraffe was especially entertaining.

Interesting but sad

By Passport36700742691 |

The animals looked well fed and their cages were very clean. I get that lions sleep most of the day but these lions looked bored even when they were awake. Their cages were empty except maybe one toy. Actually I felt bad for all the animals because their living quarters are tiny and I wonder how they keep themselves entertained or stimulated. I suppose it’s better than being in the wild and poached.

By Sergio Bernache |

A family friendly spot to visit. I have been here several times and love feeding the giraffe. Highly recommended and a lot of fun

Beautiful Animals

By msguerrerodiaz |

We moved to Henderson near the M Resort recently and noticed how close we were to the Lion Habitat. Locals get a discount on entrance tickets. It was definitely worth it for the price. They have a handful of lions and lioness, ostriches, tortoise, parrots and a giraffe!! its cool to walk around and see these beautiful animal upfront and so close. Each lion gets enrichment time and the volunteers feed them in front of you. They also are very knowledgeable of these animals. The best part is being able to feed the giraffe and seeing her paint. We would definitely go again and take family as well when they visit us.

A must visit place in Las Vegas Area

By kardebarshi |

In the middle of all the lights and glamor we were looking for something that will bring joy to our 2 boys. There cannot be a better place than this that will make your family being as close as possible to nature and wild. We had 2 hrs of uninterrupted screen free, technology free plain old nature. It was so refreshing to see my kids enjoy something away from tech. The staff was super nice, highly recommend this place

Great place for family, especially kids.

By Paradise09989919252 |

Wonderful visit. The place, lions and other animals are very well taken care off. We will definitely return when back in Vegas.

Spectacular Family Outing

Roaring Fun in Vegas: A Family Adventure at the Lion Habitat with My Boys!

By marcosm-LV |

As a father, finding the perfect blend of excitement and education for my two boys, aged 7 and 10, can often be a tall order. However, our recent visit to the Lion Habitat in Las Vegas exceeded all expectations, striking a delightful balance between thrill and learning.

Firstly, the affordability of this experience is worth noting. Family outings can quickly become a costly endeavor, but the Lion Habitat offers an engaging experience without breaking the bank. This aspect alone makes it an attractive option for families looking to explore Las Vegas beyond its glitzy facade.

The standout attraction for us was undoubtedly the giraffe painting experience. Imagine a 6-year-old male giraffe, brush in mouth, creating a unique piece of art - it's a sight to behold! For an additional fee, which I found totally worth it, you can feed the giraffe. This close encounter, coupled with the opportunity to snap some unforgettable photos, was a hit with my kids.

Photography enthusiasts, be prepared: you can take pictures everywhere. Every corner of the habitat offers a new, Instagram-worthy moment. For those seeking a more tailored experience, I recommend checking their website for various packages. They offer everything from lunches to exclusive lion feeding sessions, ensuring that every visit can be a unique adventure.

The habitat also houses a gift shop, perfect for picking up souvenirs to remember the day. And let's not forget the birds! While they can be a bit loud and opinionated, their antics added a humorous twist to our visit. Just a friendly tip: don’t try to out-argue them; they’re seasoned debaters!

For those interested in a more hands-on experience, feeding the lions is an available option for an additional cost. This was a thrilling experience for us, and the safety measures in place were reassuring.

The employees and volunteers at the habitat are a treasure trove of information. They’re not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient, ready to answer all your questions in detail. Their passion for these magnificent creatures is infectious, and their dedication to educating visitors is commendable.

A compelling aspect of the habitat is its history. Ask about the story of the male lion from MGM Hotel Casino, who had an altercation with a caretaker 13 years ago. The lion, along with his heroic wife who intervened in the incident, now resides at the habitat. It's a fascinating tale that the staff narrates with gusto.

Have fun!

It was so much fun

By amarieluu |

Really enjoyed our visit to lion habitat ranch :) the employees took the time to explain things, really engaged my children. And we especially loved feeding the giraffe.

Great place to visit

The animals were well cared for an everyone was extremely nice. A great up close lion experience. A must see while in Vegas

Paradise in the Desert

By Happy0809 |

This is a hidden gem of LasVegas. We spent the entire day at the Lion Ranch. From the morning tour we purchased to the closing of the gate. It was such an amazing feeling to feed both a lion and a giraffe. The passion the keepers have for both the animals and the visitors is very evident. It is not a fancy zoo, but an experience for young and old alike. The team is dedicated to all of these animals and providing a great experience for guests. I will never forget the exhilaration of feeding a lion and the touch of Ozzie the giraffe's tonge on my hand as he took the lettuce from me. I cannot wait to take my grandchildren to experience the Lion Habitat Ranch.

By MGV |

This was a fantastic experience for the whole family. We went there with our kids, 11 and 8. We loved seeing the majestic lions and all of the exotic birds up close. My husband fed one of the lions, Winston, and we fed Ozzie the giraffe and watched him paint one of his masterpieces. We were happy the money spent goes to helping the animals. It was great to get away from the frenzy of the strip and spend time at this calm, wonderful ranch!

A Worthy cause 🦁

By hfalcn |

This non-profit org provides loving care for the MGM lions. Staff is very knowledgeable about each one.
Ozzy, the painting giraffe is bonu!

By Rhys Jenkins |

I took my wife here (she loves lions) and opted for the all access and feeding the lions tour. It was pricey, but well worth it.

I have forgotten the name of our guide (apologies!). But she was outstanding and really explained everything about the lions to us. The staff here do amazing work In treating these wonderful animals well.

We also got to feed Winston which was a real treat.

Ozzie the Giraffe and the many talking birds also amused us. Great place, well worth the money for the full experience. Keep up the great work guys!

Wonderful, did it twice!

By Blake |

Really fun and wonderful experience. Standing right next to 17 foot tall Ozzie the giraffe 🦒 and feeding him is super fun!
Ozzie will even paint a T-shirt for you.
Hearing the lions roar is an amazing experience as well.
And getting right next to him in the cage is wonderful!

Fun Outing with Grandson

By SkiFreak57 |

My 7 year old grandson and I loved seeing the animals. Price was reasonable as I'm a senior and my price includes one child. We loved watching Ozzie the giraffe paint and he posed perfectly for pictures. He's the only giraffe in Nevada! One negative was it was so hot (not the habitats fault). The did have tarps to help make shade and misters. Most lions were in their air conditioned boxes but we did get to see a couple of them closer. The staff was super informative and friendly. It was worth our time and my grandson keeps talking about it.

Impressive

By Alejandra H |

Animals were impressive especially the giraffe. The employees at the ranch have a special relationship with the animals that is clear and awesome to see.

excellent time at the Lion Habitat

By Wintersdorff |

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and I'm so happy to see that they are well taken care of!!!!

A memory I will cherish forever!

By SarahBNiles |

What an amazing experience! We did the lion feeding & loved it ($150 for both of us plus admission - so worth it!)! We fed Winston who behaved like a giant, sweet puppy. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and their care. Ozzy the giraffe is an awesome ambassador for his kind! I had no idea that giraffes were so intelligent, or so endangered. We got to enjoy him actually making a painting, and he even took a bow when he was done. This was such a great way to enjoy some more meaningful fun off the strip while visiting Vegas. Huge thanks to the team at the Lion Habitat Ranch for a memory that will last a lifetime!

Lion Habitat

Unexpected pleasure

By Brian A |

I was looking for things to do in Vegas, Lion Habitat Ranch came up under unusual things to do. We have been going to Vegas for 30 years never heard of this. We did the behind the scene tour. The guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. It was well worth the cost and it is a good cause.
Highly recommend to do this tour.

Best time

By tplinio44 |

Great fun for adults and kids. The kids loved Feeding Ozzie the giraffe. Everyone was very friendly would go again

SO COOL

By ccaniano15 |

I love animal based attractions, and this I think is my favorite I’ve been to. The lions are just feet away from you, and the volunteers walk around feeding them so you get to watch them eat up close! On top of that, the other animals are so cool and interactive (make sure you say hi to all the birds, and call the lions by their names, they’ll respond some times!)

If You Love Lions

By jersmith628 |

This is a great place to go. They had 21 lions and an assortment of birds between the lion enclosures. You’ll be about 3 feet away from the fence and there is a lot of glass windows to see them better, or take photos. We hard a lot of roaring and saw a lot of feedings. Benny and Rocky were our favorites!

Lovely experience

By MeySerrano |

Love how gentle the staff are with guests as well with the animals ❤️ cleanliness is excellent👌definitely will be visiting again.

Awesome Experience

By justchris81 |

Just moved to the area and was looking for something to do in the area. Stumbled upon Lion Habitat Ranch and went to their website. Was extremely intrigued and excited at the opportunities they present and quickly bought a ticket for the next day! Process was super simple and quick! I opted to feed Ozzie the Giraffe and even a Lion feed. I was offered a choice for the Lion feed and opted for Benny. The staff was extreme friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Highly recommend a visit here and I'll definitely be going back!

Fun things to do in Vegas

By Heather R |

Nice little park with plenty of animals. Staff very friendly and informative. Kids got to feed the giraffe (they loved it). The proceeds go to maintaining the animals so you are also helping support the animals. Definitely worth a trip. I am a local.

Lions Roaring and Giraffe excellence

By fiyahliger |

I was a little concerned when I walked in but the staff was amazing from the start. Catered to every customer consistently all day, very knowledgeable about all the animals, and tried to make special moments for everyone. All the animals seemed well off as well, and got to hear lions roaring up multiple times throughout the day up close.

Also Ozzie the Zebra is a monster!

Fun for kids

By rjpatterson1978 |

Great site. Tons of fun for kids. I find it a little tacky that they charge tourists more than locals. But it is what it is. Still worth going as long as u have kids to take that’ll enjoy

By samesmindy |

We made a quick stop on the way out of Vegas. This is a very small habitat, but if you like the big cats, worth being able to see them up close. There were about 20 other visitors in the area while we were there. They did a couple feedings that we could watch (morning visit), as well as one of the lions displayed his "artistic" talent by walking on paint and then on paper to go for sale in the gift shop. There is a photo opp for the family with a lion posing behind the glass. Staff are very friendly and willing to talk to you and answer questions. We were there for an hour, maybe could have stretched it for another half hour if desired. Basically walk in a big square looking in all the enclosures. Nice visit, even with the heat.

Fun and interesting time.

By Andrew M |

I took the tour with a guide and it was worth the money. Ozzy the giraffe was very polite. The lions looked well cared for and you could tell that the guide had a calling to do what they do. This was my third time doing the tour. Recommended.

A roaring experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

By Amy M |

One of the neatest things we have done as a family! Both educational and a hands on experience if you choose to pay for it. Being so close to them and hearing each of their stories was our favorite part! We loved feeding Cheeto and Winston! Thank you again for an experience we won’t soon forget! We are still talking about it!

Lion Habitat Ranch

By Mac_Heil |

One of the best places to take young children. Seems like a lot of people don’t know about it but it is worth checking out and all moneys spent go to the feeding and care of the lions and Ozzie the giraffe.

By Jonpais |

My kids aged 4 and 8 did not rate this very high on their list of their top experiences in Las Vegas despite feeding the giraffes. Hence the reason for the rating. My wife and I liked this place although thought it was a bit overpriced for the time spent there ($50 entry fee for 2 adults + $20 to feed the giraffes for each kid) relative to other experiences around the Las Vegas area.

Best experience ever!

By KrissiMRN |

The behind the scenes tour is phenomenal. The personalized time and experience is amazing. You get to learn all the behind the scenes information. The one on one time with Ozzy is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra to feed him. Seriously an experience to remember forever.

Very Nice find

By markandkathyx2 |

Our son found this on You Tube and we were going to Vegas for family Birthday and went to the Ranch. It was a very nice time and Staff were all very polite and answered all questions. Will go back.

Sweet Getaway

By Barones Lovey d |

It was a pleasure to visit this small quiet enclosure. The animals were lovely. It was a nice easy couple of hours spent admiring the animals.

Highly recommended Behind the Scenes Tour

By kittykitty |

Our tour guides were excellent telling us lots of stories of each of the four-legged friends. I was so happy to see the grown up lioness that I saw at the MGM Grand 12 years ago as a baby. I praise these caretakers who keep the animals healthy and treat them like your kids with love. What a memorable experience to feed a lion and a giraffe!

Behind the Scenes Tour is a definitely the way to engage with these beautiful animals and these hard working guardians. I thought this was a once in a life time experience but I want to come back again.
Highly recommended!!

Family fun time

By tinkerbell12046 |

As first timers here we didn’t know what to expect. Our group ranged from a 5 month old to 65 year old and we were all fascinated by all the animals here. We participated in feeding the giraffe and watched Ozi paint. Some of our more adventurous family members fed the lions. All in all it was a nice family experience would definitely do it again.

Great time!

By razor3136 |

Since moving to Henderson I've done a lot of things, but had no idea there was a Lion Habitat right down the street! What a great hidden gem! Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, lost of interactive activities and a small area so it was easy to see everything in about an hour.

We had such an amazing time here. We’ve lived in Las Vegas for 8 years and have never been until recently. We will definitely be returning since our kids loved it so much. The staff, keepers and volunteers were so kind and educational. Can’t wait to come back and feed Ozzie more snacks!

Small but has lots of heart

By MerdyTSluggo |

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had a 12 yr with me and she said "it was the best". There is a Giraffe, Ozzie, that follows commands and also paints with his mouth. Staff was super friendly and all proceeds go towards the massive expense of feeding the animals (mostly lions)

It was meh

By arindemos |

I’m local so I’ve been here maybe a total of 4 times. We went just a few days ago, while it was hot, not many places for shade which they could definitely work on. I know it’s Vegas with unpredictable weather but I feel it would be a good use of money, benefits the tourists and animals ofcourse. The lions lay around, there’s not much action so be prepared to basically watch them sleep. The workers do tell you about the history but you more so have to ask them a question to get them talking otherwise it’s pretty silent. I think it’s good to go to-to support the animals we have, I’m all for giving animals a good quality life, but I personally expect more every time I go. Someone to come in and revamp the place, draw you in more. There’s so many things that could be done to reshape it all together. It’s lost in the desert and unless you’re looking for it specifically, you won’t see it. Maybe they want to be hidden. But if you have animals that depend on tickets to buy them hay bales or food, I would think you’d want more than just locals

Loved it!!!

By kathnricky |

The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. Everyone were very nice to my daughter who is 7. We loved it. We would definitely come back to visit. Also your prices in the gift shop was very reasonable.

By K B |

I brought my big cat loving, high school graduate as part of his vacation gift. We did the private tour and it was so lovely, informative and hands on. It was more than we hoped for! Our guide, was super smart and knowledge, accessible for question and friendly.
We loved the closeness of the big cats, learning their personalities and the experience overall!

Absolutely Fabulous Behind the Scenes Tour

By ericaboettcher |

"Kat" was our guide who has incredible knowledge, compassion, and love for what she does. The ladies in the gift shop were so friendly as well. This huge facility is so well kept/clean. All animals on the property are sure lucky to have such devoted people that care for them. We learned so much and smiled the entire time in Awe of this magnificent establishment. I brought my mother who loves All animals, she was ecstatic to feed Ozzie the giraffe. We have purchased another four tickets for when my young nephews are in town visiting & I cannot wait to bring them. Thank you to Keith, Kat, and all employees for providing us with such a great experience. I HIGHLY recommend the Behind the Scenes tour!

Awesome Experience!

By JJ |

My girlfriend and I visited the Lion Habitat Ranch last week and had a great time! Feeding Ozzie (the giraffe) was really cool and seeing the turtles and birds -- especially Ringo -- was a blast. We got to see one unlucky visitor get peed on by a lion, but luckily he didn't seem to mind. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to see some amazing wild animals.

Roaring Good Time!

By jonnysoccer2000 |

This place was definitely worth the time and visit! Nowhere else will you get a premium experience to see these big cats up close (like 2 feet away close!) with out paying top dollar. They also get fed in front of you, they’re not behind glass like at a Zoo, and even though Lions are the laziest big cat, they were up and active on this day, even communicating with each other. They have other animals as well such as Ozzie the giraffe, emus, ostriches, tortoises, and birds. Great for the family, great for individuals who love animals.

See African Lions and a Giraffe

By davecol2022 |

My wife and I had a really wonderful time at Lion Habitat. Getting to see Lions up close - even in 100 degree weather was well worth the visit. The cats are well taken care of and it becomes obvious how much when you talk to the docents and they tell you about each one. Feeding the giraffe was another truly wonderful experience as was talking to the McCaws (Ringo). My wife and I enjoyed it very much.

Baby's 1st Birthday

By dolcediva01 |

Loved seeing lions up close

The Lion Habitat was nice to see the lions up close. The Giraffe was amazing to watch eat and paint.

Best Day Ever

By ah-2025-vegas |

This was the best part of our trip to Vegas. Feeding the lions was AMAZING!!! The staff was super friendly and they do an amazing job of scheduling feedings and enrichment around the guests arriving. 12/10 would do this again.

MGM lions retirement home

By MominOC |

Enjoyed the small habitat experience. Almost a private experience on this early mid-week visit. The giraffe feeding was fun and the girl that was in charge of the area did a great job.

Best experience ever for kids and adults!

By kathyin89149 |

I took my two grandchildren and they loved it. The staff set it up so only a few go in per hour which means it is not crowded and they have plenty of handlers and staff at each station who answer questions for the kids. They also feed the first lion on the circle every so often so you can get great pictures up close. I would definitely pay for the giraffe feeding as it is reasonable and the pictures of the kids feeding the giraffe is great. Also, every hour they have Ozzie the giraffe paint and the kids loved this part. They also have other animals and Macaws. I was very impressed with how clean the habitats for each lion was groomed and the handlers really care for the animals.

Love this place!

By mdreesen |

3 years ago we took our granddaughter here...now every year we are in Las Vegas it's just a part of our trip. It's so interesting, the lions and she especially LOVES Ozzie the giraffe!! Inexpensive and a great place with very informative employees!

Highly recommend

By Traveler06815973558 |

Visited here in Oct 2022 after hearing about it way back in 2019 and finding out you could not only feed Ozzy the giraffe but could feed one of the Lions that lived here and so I went and had one of the best experiences with one of the male lions named Winston and he was a very very good participant. Haha such an amazing place

Great Experience

By teri799 |

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The facility was maintained well and the animals appear to be healthy and respected. The behind the scene tour was worth every penny. I would definitely go again, and if I were local I would volunteer.

By Chad |

Had a great time. The wife and I hand fed Ozzie, then Ozzie painted for us, then the wife hand fed a tiger (through a protective fence for obvious reasons) some of these lions are retired from the MGM, I'm glad they have a home. It may seem pricey for some of the extras, but they are a nonprofit, and it's gotta be fairly expensive to feed and care for those animals.

Amazing Attraction a bit outside of the Las Vegas Strip

By Nean228 |

My fiance and I did the behind the scenes experience and enjoyed the tour immensely. All of animal keepers are extremely knowledgable, informative and interesting. We opted to do the Tortoise feeding and the Lion feeding experiences. Both experiences were thrilling and fun with the animals enjoying the time that we spent feeding them. The keepers were helpful, paid great care to the safety of the animals and the humans. The Lion Habitat Ranch is truly a hidden gem in the Las Vegas area and one that deserves far more attention and notoriety than it currently receives. The fact is that this ranch provides a home that is loving and secure for a large number of exotic animals that have been abandoned, abused, given up, rescued and allows these beings to live out their lives in a productive, energetic and useful manner. It is an admirable calling to work with exotic animals and keep them in a habitat that allows them comfort, stability, safety while keeping them engaged physically, mentally and emotionally.Simply an amazingly wonderful place to visit with kind, generous staff and volunteers who love and enjoy what they are doing so much that it shows in everything that they do! Highlight of our trip to Las Vegas!!!

A hidden gen in Vegas

By Lisa W |

I found this in an online article of different things to do in Vegas. We have been to Vegas many times, but had never even heard of the Lion Habitat Ranch. We purchased 10:00 AM tickets, which is when the site opens. I must admit, my initial impression was wary, because of the amount of chain link fence. But after spending two and a half hours there, I am a fan! These animals are very well taken care of, the animal spaces are pristine. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable about each of the lions - their dispositions and likes/dislikes. This is the ranch that where the MGM casino would rotate their animals when they had the lion display. After the MGM got rid of the exhibit, at least some of the animals remained, calling this their permanent home. In addition to the lions, there are birds and tortoises. And last but certainly not least - Ozzie the giraffe. Who has his own large abode, complete with heated floors. Ozzie paints, I think each hour, and then his masterpieces are for sale in the gift shop. You can also hand feed Ozzie for 10.00. That gets you exactly 3 romaine leaves that he will eat promptly. It is honestly a great way to raise money - and where else will you be able to have a photo op of you feeding a giraffe??? There were no big groups when we were there, no camps or schools - so we found the ranch to be low key and delightful. It is a far cry from the Glitz of Vegas - and well worth the trip!!!

Good to see the MGM lions are doing well

By Todd F |

MGM used to have lions in its lobby that you could see anytime you went to the casino. I remember them as a kid, and always disagreed with the decision to remove them. They were one of the coolest attractions at the resort. What I did not know, until recently, is that you could still visit them in Vegas.

The lion habitat ranch lets you visit these childhood friends again. While they are all getting a little long in the tooth, it made me nostalgic to visit them, and I am very happy that they are doing will and living long lives. If you purchase an upgraded ticket you can feed them as well. And they have a giraffe that paints and plays tether ball, and you can feed him as well. Really enjoyed this place. If you have kids, would be the ideal place to take them.

Fantastic Experience

By dsparrow4906 |

Animals and staff were amazing. Educational & interesting! Seeing this majestic animals up close and learning about their age and ancestry made this a unique experience.

A New Must for Every Vegas Trip!

By BeverlyEaton |

We loved our stop at Lion Habitat Ranch! All the animals are well taken care of, and the staff is happy to tell you all of their stories!

Afternoon family fun

By enigma_0003 |

Brought my kids here last minute on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed how small and personal it felt. I was expecting heavy crowds and long lines but it was actually pretty calm. We were in and out within an hour. All of the staff was so kind and helpful, especially the young lady that helped us feed the giraffe and one of the ladies in the gift store. If possible, definitely purchase tickets and sign waivers online before entering, makes entering upon arrival much quicker.

A great find and hidden gem!

By Ken |

Great alternative adventure to the hustle and bustle of the strip. Not well publicized so I'm glad I found it. Learned a great deal about the history of the MGM lions and these lions in particular. Many of the lions are veterans of the MGM Lion Habitat before it ended. The individuals 'on duty' at the MGM were rotated from about 20 in the group. Crate trained, they were moved to the hotel for their 'shift' and, if one wasn't in the mood to 'work', someone else who was more eager got the call.

The animals here are Barbary (now extinct in the wild) from the MGM and South African lions from other rescue/exotic parks that closed. The oldest girl, Chilly, will be 20 this year, almost twice what her life expectancy in the wild would be.

Along with the lions, there are 'rescues' of other species living here including tortoise, ostrich, emus and cage birds that people dropped off. (Never get an exotic bird if you aren't prepared for the long haul investment...it ain't a parakeet that dies at 2).

The ornery artist, Ozzie, is a highlight. He had to be moved because his dad at the facility he was born at wasn't okay with another guy around, even his son. He does some great artwork and is fun to get up close and personal with to feed. Easy going and gentle but also a teenager who likes to remind his keepers some time.

Be sure to take your time so you don't miss Harry and George's keeper demonstrating examination through a little meatball enrichment. Spend a little and feed or paint with Ozzie. Spend a lot and feed a lion. And don't miss posing with Shifty as he sits on the land rover right behind your head.

The staff here is amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly and interactive with all the guests. You can tell they love their charges.

This is a hidden gem, not to be missed.

Loved this place

Lions everywhere. I was excited to see the lions and I was not disappointed. I had the opportunity to feed a lion and I took it.

We went for the behind the scenes tour and it was so worth it! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the experience was so much better with the information that he provided. This is a great place that is very well maintained and the animals are very well provided for.

Lions, Giraffes and Emus, oh my...

By AlejandroMadera |

What an awesome facility. Everyone there is knowledgeable, and the animals are obviously well cared for. A very worthwhile place to spend some time and money.

Lions up close

By car0linafamily |

It was a nice opportunity to see lions, a giraffe, and a few other animals up close. The employees/volunteers were very knowledgeable and helpful. It's a fairly small facility but perfect for young children. There was some shade and quite a few benches and picnic tables as well. Only recommendation would be to allow people with online tickets to go through first instead of waiting on the walk-ins to buy tickets.

MUST SEE!

By LoriMull |

I loved this experience! We came at just the right time, because we were able to watch the staff feed them, and also get whipped cream! So fun and they were just beautiful. The staff is so caring and really loves taking care of these spectacular creatures!

There were lots of animal interactive experiences… and the staff was very informative and answered all the questions (even the ones my 2 & 5 year old)

I definitely recommend checking this place out and supporting such a good cause!

Feeding Winston!

By Alohura |

This was our second visit to the Lion Habitat Ranch, and this time we bought a friend who is far braver than us to feed one of the lions!

It was a great experience and very professionally done. Our friend chose to feed Winston, who was very pleased with his meal. The staff and volunteers are on hand to impart their knowledge about the lions and the other birds and animals at the Habitat.

Ozzie is an excellent character, and I loved receiving emails from him leading up to the visit and afterwards.

An enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours

Great experience!

Lions in Henderson

By Laura C |

I loved the Lion Habitat Ranch! It was really neat to see the lions and birds and Ozzie!! Ozzie was the best and it was so fun watching him paint! I even got to take home a small bit of his artwork. The staff were all very friendly and I had a lot of fun. Located in the same city as family I was visiting it was a nice non-tourist thing to do outside of Las Vegas.

Must do in Vegas

By David P |

I actually became emotional hearing the lions roar before going inside. This gem is very clean, spacious and the staff are happy (says a lot) and knowledgeable. I highly recommend feeding a lion. Don’t think of it as paying for feeding but a bonus when donating to an awesome organization.

Great experience

By javaeya11 |

We were on vacation visiting Las Vegas and came across this place it was beyond what we could expect. Watching the lions eat, giraffe painting and just seeing the different temperaments of the cats were cool. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Wonderful for seniors!

By WCLC13 |

I work at a senior living community and coordinated a visit to The Lion Habitat Ranch. It was a perfect outing for our group. Plenty of seating throughout the ranch for anyone who needed it. The animal caregivers were very informative and their attention to saftey for both the animals and the guests was very much appreciated. We had a great time!

I can not wait to come back with my kids this time. Definitely enjoyed ourselves at the Lion Habitat Ranch!

Absolutely Amazing Place

By boydgallati |

This is the best attraction I have been to in Las Vegas in the 28 years I’ve been going there. I highly recommend paying the extra money to be a part of the backstage experience prior to their daily opening to the public. If that doesn’t fit your budget make sure to come for the daily open times. Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity.

Loves it

By Penunuri7 |

Such a great visit! Staff was so helpful and informative. My tween loved it and tweens are not easily impressed. Must check it out. We will definitely visit again.

More than I expected!

By alexamelby |

I had such a good time going here with my family! I thought there would be a couple lions but there were so many more than I expected! & Ozzy was amazing, we all fell in love! The lions were out & about & active & we learned a lot about them

Fun and Educational!

By cheriamoore |

My spouse and I visited for our first time this week and it won't be our last! We loved the animals and were enchanted with some of their antics, Lions shredding cardboard boxes, Macaws chatting and squawking at guests, and so much more. We are Tortoise fans and were charmed by the ones in the exhibits. A bonus was all the staff and volunteers who answered questions and gave talks to educate us about the various animals. This is an amazing place!!!

Fun time

By Veronica M |

Had lots of fun seeing all the lions and watching them get fed. The best part was feeding the giraffe it was such a fun experience.

A nice place to visit and see lions

By SBVegasAdventures |

There really aren't any zoon in Las Vegas so if you want to see big game, this is the place to go. They of course have lions but also Giraffe. If you're looking for an interesting way to spend the day with the family that won't break the bank, this is it.

Very unique experience

By SpecialNeedsFamily23 |

We loved the visit. There were lots of lions and some particularly animated birds. My daughter has special needs and loved feeding Ozzie! It felt very safe and there was plenty of photo ops. Thank you to the staff and ranch for taking good care of these precious animals.

Amazing

By lindakz5900 |

It was amazing. We did the behind the scenes tour. Dana our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. I also did the Lion feeding and Tortoise encounter and both of those were great too.

Feed the Lions!

By dabronx02 |

Overall, we had a great time at the Lion Ranch. Many of the animals tended to be sleeping but as I learned that's just what they do! But, those that got up and walked around were truly majestic and beautiful and made you in awe. I highly recommend that you experience lion feeding - there's nothing cooler! Also, I give the staff there an A+. They were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly!

Grandkids at the Lion Habitat

By David M |

Our three year old granddaughter could not wait to see the animals. She liked the lions but wanted more interaction. Ozzie, the giraffe provided that. When we approached him, he was painting a t shirt and eating snacks. Then it was her turn to feed Ozzie. She was not afraid at all and giggled at his long tongue slurping up the lettuce!

A wonderful day at the Lion Habitat!

By bellethelight |

Since my 1st trip out to Vegas back in 2009 I was always fascinated by the lion exhibit at MGM where you saw a lot of wild lions as close as you can get without going on a safari. They relocated those lions to Henderson. We loved learning all about those amazing lions!

We also spent time with Ozzie the giraffe! 🦒

My daughter loves the world of art and one of her favorite animals is a giraffe. This was a perfect combo for her to create a masterpiece with Ozzie. 🎨🦒

The staff was friendly and professional. We enjoyed feeding the animals, painting and learning all about them.

We loved visiting the lion habitat and highly recommend checking it out!

Big cat paradise!

By lesleyshank |

When you plan your trip to Vegas, take some time and swing over to Henderson to visit the lion habitat. While the lions are the stars, you’ll also find an assortment of other animals, including a painting giraffe! The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and helpful and made for a great experience.

Amazing and awesome!!!!

By Raymond W |

Best animal exhibit or zoo I've ever been to! There are a ton of lions that are so close to you and are actually moving around! Theres also birds and ostriches but the lions are the best. They have a giraffe that paints and the lions all started roaring at once while the giraffe was painting. The lions stole the show! It was incredible to hear how loud they are! I highly recommend going to see this

Fun!

By natalievasquez89 |

Fun little local trip my kids loved it! We got to see so many lions and they got to feed the giraffe!

A fun little family day

By jennmiller86 |

If you’re looking for a cute little attraction away from the busy Las Vegas scene, this is the place.

The Roar of the Lions

By shirylscott60 |

I lived in Henderson, NV for 10 years. Also, I worked and retired from Amazon right up the street from the ranch. Unbeknownst to me I never knew the ranch existed!
Seeing the parrots, emus and lions up close was remarkable. Getting to witness the feeding of the lions was thrilling. The ranch is a hidden treasure. When we were leaving all of the lions decided to do a roaring communication with each other. My grandson and I truly enjoyed the experience.

I was impressed with how much lions 🦁

By md1cenia |

I wish the lions had a pool a tree some grass maybe. Ozzie the 🦒 is so amazing I enjoyed this visit very much. Great staff

Fun and Educational

By MadSqueeze |

You get pretty close to the lions which is fun. There are also add on opportunities to feed the giraffe and lions for an extra fee which is a fun photo opportunity. It's like a mini zoo that's very Lion Centric as there are some other animals emus, ostriches, tortoises etc.

Amazing experience

By tayl0rfam |

The lions were great. Never been so close in my life and feeding the giraffe was once in a lifetime experience. Was one of the best things we did on our trip and by far the least expensive

Great experience

By erika4nyc |

all of the staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly. You could feel their passion for the animals. We stayed 3 hours!!

Such a wonderful relaxing place

By cano13nyc |

I love this place! It’s such a peaceful atmosphere just south of the strip. There are Emus, Tortioses, Ostriches, Parrots, of course the lions abs Ozzie the painting giraffe!! A must see if you want to get away from the “Vegas” atmosphere for a bit.

Love Ozzie the Giraffe

By leslieharris1215 |

This place is perfect. Not to big and super clean!! Animals don’t do anything they don’t want to do. I live here and this was my fourth visit. We take our visiting friends a lot

Amazing opportunity

By williesctx |

Took my son as he is interested in big cats. Normally, I am cautious of places that have large wild animals in containment, however, I was very impressed. These are NOT performing animals, nor are they pets. While they are used to humans, they are not there to entertain. They are given sanctuary and care to live out their lives as they cannot go back to the wild. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, safety minded and above all caring and respectful of the animals to the point they will move people away from the area if the animals are indicating they want to be left alone. Ozzie is an interesting touch. He seems well mannered and cared for and seems to enjoy attention. Like the big cats, he has a place he can go to avoid people if he wants but on this visit, he was front and center for the entire time I was there and even painted a picture. All in all, this is a very good experience for kids, and although the animals are not totally 'wild', they are not tame performing animals and not treated as such. I really was happy that if one of the animals was not interested in coming up to interact, they were simply allowed to do their thing and peopled moved on and left them alone. It made a good opportunity to explain to my son about animals having their own minds and needing their own space.

Educational and Enlightening

By PattyPitt2023 |

I didn't know whether this experience was going to be like Tiger King where they exploited the animals. It was actually the opposite, they fed the lions but they lived in their own environments are still wild animals. Their living areas were very well appointed.
Our tour guide, Robert, shared info on their species, where they lived in the world, and where the animal was rescued from. He was a wealth of knowledge and a great guide.
We saw ostriches, emus, tortoise, lions, exotic birds, and Ozzie the giraffe.

Fun for the whole family!

By milanaangelica |

Such a great experience for me, my son and his great grandmother! We had so much fun feeding the giraffe. (My son is 2 for reference)

By deevo854 |

My daughter suggested to check this out while I visited her from Chicago. It was an excellent experience!!! You get close enough to really appreciate the animals. The staff was polite and knowledgeable, all around a great time!

Feed the lions!

By EWortman620 |

While a little pricey, if you've never had a chance to feed lions before, it is something to plan. I accept the price as being a value solely due to the fact that the money goes to keep these amazing creatures in good health and well taken care of. The staff certainly cares very much about their furry family.

Great place to visit

By bree20252025 |

The staff was great. Jim had some stuff we got to touch and feel. Feeding Winston was awesome and a great experience. Definitely check this place out!!

We took my 15 month old and she had a wonderful time! She LOVED feeding Ozzie. It is a bit pricey for adult tickets + to feed the animals, but totally worth it knowing it is going to a great cause / taking care of these amazing animals. Definitely a must visit.

Fun For Adults to act as kids

I am a supervisor for a center who takes clients to outings every weekend this weekend was the first time we visited your facility. It is a amazing place and the clients loved it. We got to see a few of the lions be fed and one male lion a staff had stretch because a client was curios how tall they could stretch out to. The only negative is the sidewalk is not very wheelchair friendly. I got the chair stuck a couple times as I was pushing one of my clients. You guys have affordable items at the giftshop, and your staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about your history and lions.

Really cool

Only takes about an hour to go through but it was a great experience. Our favorite part was when all the main Lions started roaring at the same time. Pretty awesome

Sketchy

The emus and the ostrich looked like they were in shock. The birds were screaming bloody murder. The lions looked unhappy and distressed. The fenced in areas were so small, I’m surprised it was legal to keep them that way. One of the lions seemed like he was having a seizure at one point. Shaking and roaring and his eyes were rolling back. The only reason this rating is poor and not terrible is because the staff was friendly and seemed like they genuinely loved the animals and Ozzy was sweet and fun for the kids to interact with.

Loved it and will return

I loved how all the lions and animals there were so happy! You can tell they get the love they need !

One of Las Vegas BEST attractions!!!

Animals are fascinating, well cared for, personnel very friendly, answered every question, great place to visit!!

Amazing!

We went for boo at the zoo and we had such a blast! I was so pleasantly surprised by how loved and cared for the animals were. In this town it’s hard to find places to see animals where they aren’t being horrifically exploited. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Loved it!

Had a great tour with Jessie. Dude was my favorite as he is the oldest and I might have seen him at the MGM on a previous visit. He's the only one left it's possible. Winston models like a toy. Rocky is awesome and so handsome. Everyone is special in their own way- tortoises, birds, lionesses. Go meet them!

Amazing Experience

We fed the lions. It was awesome. Winston roared at us. His way of saying “my food!” Ozzie is the star of the show. We fed him as well and watched him paint. Bought a few of his paintings. Staff were great!

Lots of fun

Took our grandsons, 4 and 8 years. They both loved interacting with the parrots and were in awe of Ozzie the giraffe. Ostriches, emus, tortoises and of course lions! So much fun.

A++++++

Great place to visit. The staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable. Very informative about every lion on property. Ozzie the giraffe is one cool cat !!!

Great Time

So this place is a little far out there but it is very worth the drive. The staff are very friendly and answered all of our questions and you can get some great photos. I recommend you spend the extra money and do the lion and giraffe feeding experiences! We fed one of the girls (Cheeto?) and she was so photogenic, we got great pictures! Honestly, I will be bringing my little cousins here the next time we all visit Vegas.

Lion Habitat Ranch

This place is great! As a person who works in veterinary medicine, I can be skeptical about places that have exotic animals that you can view/visit. I asked so many questions and the zookeepers took the time to answer all of them. Their knowledge showed me this place is an actual sanctuary for “retired” lions. They take great care of the animals there and I highly recommend visiting!

Great experience

Small place, but great experience. I brought my 12 yr old to this place, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They had a lot of knowledge about the animals and answered all my kids millions of questions. We watched Ozzie paint a t shirt, got to hand feed the giraffe as well, came closer to lions than ever before, learned about different bird species, and the souvenirs are decently priced. You can tell these animals are well taken care of! At one point, a lion started a roar and all the lions joined in. It was a surreal experience!

Highly recommend the behind the scenes tour!

We did the behind the scenes tour and lucked out to being the only ones on it that morning. The fact that the behind the scenes tour was early (before it got hot) made it EXTRA worth it. Got to see tons of lions close up, feed the giraffe and learn so much about all of the animals there. It was fun to see all of their individual personalities

My amazing lion adventure

This was one of the best experiences in my life. The lions was amazing and beautiful. To see a lion up front was like a dream come true. I will be back again ❤️

Excellent experience and highly recommend!

I would recommend the Behind scenes experience for a more personalized experience with a guide before the ranch opens. Ally was our guide for a group of 4 and pleasant, personable and very knowledgeable. The work the ranch does as a non-profit is commendable.

Excellent Place - You Must Go

Lion Habitat Ranch was the highlight of our trip to Vegas! Not only was it quite the experience to be up close (so close) and personal with the Lions (& parrots too) but the education the staff provided exceeded all expectations. This is a must on your list of things to do while in Vegas. Don't miss it. Thank you for all who work and volunteer at Lion Habitat Ranch.

Great experience!

My boyfriend was very excited about this visit - and safe to say he loved it! There are about 20 lions at the habitat and we got to see at least 12-15 of them! They are very well taken care of and its surprising and a bit scary how close you can get to them! There are some great photo ops as well, and everyone working there is very knowledgeable about all the habitants. We even got to feed the giraffe, who was a great sport and an entertainer! The main downside is the commute there - if you have a car, then it's easy but Ubering there was a bit expensive and so definitely factor that into your costs! Overall I would recommend it if you are an animal lover!

Amazing!

We did the early morning before the crowd pass and it was well worth it. Our guide Cat was awesome! Would definitely go again and definitely bring a nice camera to get even better pictures than your phones. You can also feed the giraffe and the lions for an extra fee but well worth it. The Giraffe also paints!

It was an excellent tour. The guide was ver knowledgeable. We could see the animas up close and feed a lion. It was very impressive how well they take care of the animals

Surprised destination

We stumbled on Lion Habitat while looking at google maps. We had a great time watching Ozzy paint and feeding the lions. It was worth the drive. Would recommend it for all ages.

My partner and I both really enjoyed our trip. I want to give a special mention to Jim one of the volunteers at the ranch. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable about all the animals at the ranch.

Lots of Lions, Ozzie the Giraffe, and Chatty Birds

By Ellen U |

I am so glad we visited this hidden gem while in Las Vegas. The staff were incredible - very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions. The lions were amazing and we interacted with some of the birds. The highlight for my children, though, was Ozzie the giraffe. He did a painting demonstration, showed us how tall he is, bowed for the audience and my kids had the opportunity to feed him. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Las Vegas area.

The NAT family trip!

Awesome experience not too far from the Strip. Lions are living their best retired life. Ozzy the Giraffe was spectacular to watch paint.
