This was an impulse stop on our trip, and it was easily one of the top three things we did. The tour was fabulous, and the ambience was definitely creepy. There's not enough money in the world to get me to stay there overnight, but a tour was perfect.

The Lizzie Borden house! Th tour is great and you can also stay as a guest in one of the rooms. We stayed here and sadly nothing went bump in the night but we slept like babies. If you ever take the tour, I suggest that you also book a night to stay there. You will have more free reign to walk around at your pace.

We had a great time. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and kind. Our ghost-hunting tour was fun. I will admit to putting a chair in front of the door to sleep but I can’t be the only one.
My only note is to bring your own pillows because theirs are truly killers.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and informative. He had a great sense of humor as well. We learned some interesting facts and considered that there might be other possibilities other than Lizzie being the murderer. We would highly recommend the tour!

This was such an amazing spooky tour! The energy and vibes in the house were morbid and heavy. Some rooms I got a very heavy unsettling feeling and other rooms I got dizzy. My mom felt the same thing in different rooms as well. It was awesome!!! Our tour guide Nicole was such a sweetheart and did an amazing job talking about the history of the house and the story and mystery behind the Borden murders. We will definitely be coming back to do a haunted tour!

One of the best guided tours I've ever taken. Our tour guide, Karen, was excellent! I've read several books about Lizzie Borden; our guide had many facts that I had not heard. Definitely would recommend the tour. We got our money's worth for sure.

Spencer was AMAZING !!!! Great paranormal activity, this was easily one of the most active hunts we have ever done !!! Thank You, Spencer, for the great hunt and also to staff/owners for the opportunity to stay overnight at this great location !!!

Good evening. I just got iff the phone with someone at Ghost Adventures in regard to our three night stay at your B&B.
We are checking out a day early due to the huge inconvenience it has become with the above-referenced reservation.
The following are the outstanding issues relative to our stay:
1. Noise after midnight - Guests are walking thru the house well after hours interrupting our sleep.
2. Guests smoking pot - We smelled pot on Thursday night.
3. Shared bathroom - Our sleep was interrupted by Guests using the bathroom outside our room at all hours of the night.
4. No Room Security- There is no key to lock the door of our room. Tours were held throughout the day and strangers were allowed to enter our room while our personal belongings were present. I called and spoke to someone at Ghost Adventures about this issue and was told to "take our stuff with us when we left the room" during the day! It is wholly unreasonable to suggest we take our HAND LUGGAGE with us once we leave the room. (Refer to picture of how our personal belongings were handled by your staff)!
5. Tours - Tours run all day and we were not allowed access to our room and house during this time. Tours run for six hours (1030a - 430p). To be asked to refrain from entering the premises all day is wholly unacceptable! We couldn't even use the bathroom at the house during this time! We paid $259 a night for our room and had to spend a few hours SITTING IN OUR CAR if we returned early from a day out to accommodate the tour schedule!
6. No Dedicated Night Staff - There's no one available to monitor guests or recieve Guests after 5:30p.
We just returned to B&B only to be LOUDLY reprimanded by the woman with the short red hair that we could not enter the premises because a tour was going on. The time was 4:40p and your own policy states that tours are from 1030a - 430p (refer to attached policy). We told her we were tired of sitting in our car aside from the fact that I needed to use the bathroom. This woman pretty much said "too bad, you shouldve read the policy"!This woman caused an unnecessary scene in front of guests and then finally allowing us access to our room.
I also recieved a text message stating our request for a night's stay was denied. A reason was not provided. I will submit a charge back request to my bank for the night's stay.

Megan was an amazing tour guide. My husband and I had a great time and learned so many new things and got so many amazing pictures. And even stopped by their gravesites.

My wife has always wanted to go. I didn’t know much about it, but I was open to go. I really enjoyed myself! Tour guide Jay was awesome, what a cool experience!

Walking through the Borden house was equal parts amazing and chilling! Megan was our guide and knew so much about the details of the murders from multiple perspectives, she was truly impressive. I would highly recommend trying a trip for yourself if you’ve ever had an interest in unsolved crimes or history.

I did the ghost tour of the Lizzie Borden house. Our guide was fantastic and did a great job of sharing the stories and history of the time. I would take the tour again and next time I hope I can stay overnight.

That was nice and the guide was awesome! The historical place is beautiful and we will try to return to stay a night there!

Karen was great. Cool tour my kid loves true crime this was a home run. Thanks morbid podcast for reminding us about this spot.

Loved this tour!! Best time and best value for vacation money spent. Nicole was our guide, she is amazing!! If you are going to Fall River this is a must!

Great job, very fun to do during the Halloween season. It was a perfect blend of history, mystery, and low key dread. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the house was fun to view.

Even though we were a bit sceptical of going to the Lizzie Borden House for a tour, we are in every way glad we did so. We had an excellent tour guide, who provided us a great deal of information about Lizzie Borden and the events and facts surrounding the deaths of her father and step-mother and about the trial and the not-guilty verdict of her trial. We learned a great amount of background and well researched history and personal information concerning this event that also helped us to recognize the false and almost mythical information that exists concerning this complex and unsolved murder over the decades. The tour guide laid out the story in the rooms where this took place with both accurate and touching sincerity and also with an appropriate and entertaining sense of humor. All in all it was a very rewarding and compelling experience, well worth the time and effort. We learned a great deal in a way that will stay with us for a long, long time. And by the way, they have a fun and very interesting gift shop that is worth visiting with very unique items that you are sure to want to have as a memory of the experience. We very much encourage you and our friends to visit Lissie Border House and hope you find it as fulfilling as my wife and I did.

We attended the Victorian dinner party at the Lizzie Borden house. It was amazing! The guides were entertaining, informative, friendly, and accommodating. The food was delicious and the history telling during the dinner was a wonderful addition. I would definitely recommend.

The Lizzie Borden House Tour was an awesome experience. Our tour guide Nicole did an excellent job leading us through the historic home room by room while respectfully sharing history and lore surrounding this tragic moment in history. And the question remains…who did it? We may never know!! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Thank you, Nicole!

Wow this trip was a haunted history lover’s dream ! The accommodations were modern & clean and the ambiance & decor was period accurate & beautiful. The staff are all gems with a wealth of knowledge, especially Rick, who also conducted our tour & had the answers to even our most obscure questions. It doesn’t matter how many documentaries you watch on Lizzie Borden, you will leave here with secrets & information you’ve never heard before & probably couldn’t hear anywhere else. I especially loved the spooky surprises throughout our stay… but I won’t spoil it for you. Thank you for the wonderful stay & especially to Rick for being the best guide we could ever ask for !

We went for a house tour and Ryk was incredible! He made the tour amazing and was really fun to be around. Definitely recommend!

This was the second time I went to the Lizzie Borden house , this time I went on the ghost hunt and it did not disappoint! Very fascinating experience and our guide Ashley was fantastic!!

Ryk did an amazing job giving us a tour and was so friendly! I felt like I was truly immersed into the timeline and events. Great tour!

Great Tour with Jay very knowledgeable and we had a great time and will be planning an overnight stay!! All the staff was was very nice!! Gift shop has great items too! Definately worth the trip and money. This is a must see!!

We had a great tour guide. There is so much to the story you didn’t know! Don’t miss out on doing the extra basement tour as well.

My wife and I absolutely loved the Lizzie Borden House Tour and our amazing guide Elliot! An absolutely fascinating 90 minute tour, including the basement. Elliot really made the story come alive. It was my wife who really wanted to come and do this tour because she's always been fascinated with the story, but I must admit, I really enjoyed it too. We're so pleased that we made the trip to experience it.

I’ve been to the Borden House no less than 25 times over 34 years. It has gone through many changes in its presentation over the years I had a friend from Florida visiting who knew nothing about the case and I decided to expose him to Fall River’s greatest unsolved mystery. The new owners have taken quite a bit of “license” with their presentation of the “facts” surrounding the case. Our tour quide was quite frantic and almost frantic in his presentation but was thrown off when I’d ask a question about factual information. He’d offer an answer but it wasn’t correct. It was obvious he had memorized a script but any deviation from it threw him off. The new owners keep the house lights very dim with all of the shades drawn to add to the mood they’re trying to set fit guests. Sadly, the dim light makes it hard to see the many photos on display of the people involved with the case. They also have two mannequins representing the deceased Bordens which really doesn’t add much to the presentation. They’re definitely trying to set the scene but for those who really know the case and understand the culture in which it took place the tour falls short. I’d like to see what other guides do for the tour.

The woman guide Karen was very rude and unfriendly until it came time to ask for tips “to help her avoid turning to a life of crime”. The tour was about 25/30 people and was SO CROWDED. I was scolded for sitting on a chair in a room because it was prepped for overnight guests. Odd. It’s just a chair, it was boring. Nothing to see. Obviously the house is so different than it was back then. Except original radiators. There’s printed pictures that you can see online anyway so nothing really there. I didn’t see it do anything or learn anything that I couldn’t online. It’s a serious money grab. On top of her being very flat and rude. She told us how she had to cut a previous tour to one hour. I wish she did that for us. It was dreadful. There’s also nothing to see in the basement so don’t pay the $7. You are paying to listen to her version of events that’s just dramatically added on to the Wikipedia story. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Great tour! The house is surprisingly small, especially considering how it looks from the outside. The tour guide was a bit cheesy, but it didn't bother us too much. The tour focused mostly on the actual murders and trial, as one would expect, but it also talked about what could have lead up to the murders and what was going on in the general times. Very interesting and informative!

Amazing tour - Megan our tour guide was 5 star and very knowledgeable plus added the extra spooky elements - we did the extended basement tour and would highly recommend both parts - spent too much in the gift shop and I am taking a Lily doll home to the UK for my gothic library where she will be very at home I’m sure.
This was our 2nd stop in the US on the way to Salem for Halloween and we all enjoyed the house tour so much!

Visiting the Lizzie Borden House for dinner was like stepping straight into one of the most infamous crime stories in American history. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for — creaky floors, period décor, and just enough of that maybe-we’re-not-alone feeling to keep you glancing over your shoulder.
The intro to a Victorian dinner and etiquette was a nice touch and "Emma & Lizzie" really knew the history, mixing hard facts with some colorful local lore that made the story come alive. We appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with gimmicks — it was creepy, and fun, but not cheesy.
Dinner itself was simple but satisfying, served at a long table where you can chat with fellow true crime fans. Our reservation was the only one that evening, so we had an intimate dining experience. It’s not gourmet dining, more like a home-cooked meal, which was nice - but that’s not why you go — you’re there for the history, the storytelling, and maybe the thrill of being in the very rooms where the events unfolded.
If you’re a fan of history, ghost stories, or just love a good mystery, the Lizzie Borden House is worth a visit. Just be prepared for close quarters, a few goosebumps, and a strong urge to rewatch every Lizzie Borden documentary the moment you get home.

Our guide Jack was super fun and nice and well versed on the subject. I learned a lot and was very happy with the tour. We got stuff from the gift shop and had a really great time.

I have been visiting Fall River my whole life. We finally made touring the Borden House a priority and visited it yesterday. We had the best time and learned so much. Our guide, Elaina Mariani was so full of information and she presents what she knows with great enthusiasm. She is a perfect person to lead groups through a house filled with all of that unsolved mystery. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting Fall River. It was an experience.

My family took the house tour with Larry. Larry's tour was quite good, the experience was informative and never boring. It also was a good blend of facts with some of the ghost and who-dun-it stuff. Highly recommended for anyone with a couple of hours to spare.

We really loved our tour of the Lizzie Borden house. The tour guide was very thorough and animated. It was well presented from a historical perspective vs a supernatural. However, paying extra for the basement was really not worth it in my opinion.

I did both the Oak Grove Cemetery tour and the house tour. Both were excellent! Very informative tour at the cemetery showing all the other graves besides the Bordens we already know. Enjoyed the house tour with Eliot. Very engaging. Definitely need an overnight visit now.

The tour was very interesting. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would go back and take the tour again.

We took the tour with Elaina Mariani today, and she was AWESOME! She conveyed tons of information in an entertaining way with a loud enough voice to carry to our full tour group. I would HIGHLY recommend taking the tour. It definitely exceeded my expectations!

Wow this was so interesting. I thought I knew a lot about Lizzie but I was blown away by the depth of information (and crime scene photos!) Ryk the tour guide was a riot.
Highly recommend, don't miss the gift shop!

Overall it was a good tour with good information. We learned a lot. Definitely disappointed in the basement add on. I can’t believe we paid an extra $7 per person to see the basement. Not only was there barely anything down there to see, we couldn’t hear our tour guide. With the washer and dryer running (for the Bed and Breakfast) in the background it was so loud and made it difficult to hear.

The house and basement tour was much better than we expected. Our guide, Megan, was very knowledgeable with the case and backgrounds of the characters involved. She was engaging and dropped supernatural tidbits throughout the tour, making it even more intriguing.

We had a blast! We stayed in the Jennings room and it was comfortable and clean. We did the walking tour and the late night ghost hunt. The guide was full of information and brought the story to life. The gift shop merch is pretty cheesy but that’s neither here nor there. We didn’t do breakfast because I knew I wouldn’t enjoy with my food restrictions. The coded locks are a bit finicky and I received several different codes beforehand - one worked. Once we got settled we explored the first floor before a nap and the activities started. We “met” some pretty interesting spirits that night! If you are daring and want an experience of a lifetime, this is the one!

Karen, our tour guide was great! She knew so much about the history of the family, the neighborhood, the trial! This was a bucket list item since I moved to MA and it was so worth it!

That was quite the spook. I really liked it because it was very cool and informative but also quite the scare. I just wish I went into the basement.

Karen was the best tour guide. She was engaging and made it so much fun. She kept our interest in every room we toured. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back to stay overnight!

Excellent tour guide, great info, spooky vibe. It was awesome! Actual crime scene pics are gruesome but intriguing. Not for the faint of heart but awesome!!

We loved this! Larry took us around the house and he made it so interesting and informative. The house is beautiful. Is it haunted? Make up your own mind!

Megan alves went into great detail in the story she also answered our question really well and she was funny and we all enjoyed our experience

The tour was amazing! Ryk was a fantastic guide. I had chills up my spine the entire time. You get to see everything up close and stand/sit in the exact areas where events took place. The house is beautifully decorated if you are into victorian things.

We did the night ghost tour and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend the experience. Can’t wait to go to the house another time!

Excellent tour guide, Elliot...knew so much about the house and the history, well-informed! The experience is fun, thought-provoking, and a worthwhile stop for crime buffs!

We went on the tour today given by Karen. She was excellent. The tour was 90 minutes with an added tour of the basement. It was full of history, stories, facts, and mystery. Karen made the Borden family come to life for us. At the end, we all had guesses as to “who did it”. I highly recommend this tour and would love to stay someday! If you go, try to get Karen’s tour.!

We were lucky enough to have Karen as our guide when we took the tour of Lizzie Borden’s house. She was knowledgeable, she was friendly, and she told us about many things that we had never heard of before about the legend of Lizzie Borden. She was also very knowledgeable about the house and the era that it was built! We could not have been happier with the experience!

Tour guide was very informative
The history he shared was awesome.
I highly recommend the additional expense to add the basement to the house tour

Fun and interesting tour. Karen, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She included quite a bit of local history into the tour. Definitely not suitable for younger children. Highly recommend!

This was our second time here and it was just as great as the first! Nichole was our tour guide and she was amazing! She had alot of knowledge about the house and history that surrounded the family.

Pretty cool tour, guide Elaina Mariani was very knowledgeable and friendly. Even better there wasnt a bunch of people all shoved in together during each tour, so there was room to move about.

We did the morning tour to see the entire house then went back for the "haunted history dinner". Both were excellent. A lot of information was given on the first tour. And we loved the reinactment of the murder during dinner. To top it off the dinner was delicious. I recommend doing both. Thanks for making my granddaughters birthday special.

First time visiting Boston and of course we had to make the drive down to Fall River to visit the Lizzie Borden House! I am easily distracted and was worried this would just be another one of those haunted house tours. But we had the absolute pleasure of having Megan Alves as our guide who did a remarkable job of walking us through the house. Megan made this one of the most fascinating haunted house tours we have ever went on. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house keeping us on the edge of our seat as we walked through each room and as she described each family member. Would definitely recommend everyone in Boston area to visit Lizzie Borden house and if possible ask for Megan as your guide for the house tour!

The tour was very informative and enjoyable. Nicole was a fantastic tour guide, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She really brought the house to life. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone in the area. A must-see.

Me and my friend did the house tour with the basement. Our tour guide was Dave and he was great! Had a good personality, and let me interrupt him with questions. I learned about the actual history and it was very interesting.

Megan was the best guide!!! Absolutely loved the tour!!! Took about 2 hours with the basement add on. She was a great storyteller and I'm very happy I went.

Wet interesting. I was told some information by our very knowledgeable guide that I did not know. Seeing the house helps clarify some things.

My family and I took this tour just today. Our tour guide was so entertaining and funny but also beyond knowledgeable about the house and every event that had gone on. I strongly would recommend taking this tour if youre in the area whether youre a horror buff or not!

Very informative. Megan guided us and answered all our questions. Hope to return with my sister who would love the tour!!

Absolutely fantastic. We were on a road trip around New England and this was easily one of my must-do stops as I’ve read about Lizzie since I was a young girl. We booked the day tour with basement add-on, the ghost hunt, and we stayed in the Andrew and Abbie room overnight.
The guides for both tours were fantastic, although perhaps slightly too theatrical for the day tour if I had to make any critique (and it’s only slight!). We had two people leading the ghost tour - the man said he was in training but I thought he was very personable and led it well.
I appreciated the photographs during the day tour, and I also thought the displays of objects in the rooms were well done and interesting. I would have liked to have seen the name inside the book on display though. And a recreation of the pear orchard would be a fun addition to consider.
The room we stayed in was very comfortable but I’m glad we booked the one with the private bathroom, and I enjoyed that it had the back staircase which made it feel a bit more private. My only issue with the overnight stay was the people in the adjacent Lizzie’s room were quite loud over night (presumably using their ghost equipment) and I thought that was quite disrespectful of them, so sleep wasn’t the best, but honestly, I didn’t mind too much all things considered - we were sleeping in the Borden house after all! No ghostly activity overnight but perhaps it’s because we left some money for Andrew. :) There was strong activity on the EMF readers and the spirit box during the ghost hunt.
One of the highlights of my trip and a huge bucket list item. I will definitely be back if I am out that way again. I found the whole experience respectful, interesting, and unique. Oh, and I love the gift shop!

We visited the Lizzie Borden house on our road trip of New England. Our guide was Karen who was amazing and made the tour interesting, informative and gave us plenty of time to ask questions, take photos and look around the house.
The house itself is absolutely beautiful. We knew a little of the story before we went but there was so much more to know about the family and the events that unfolded in the house, Karen was more than happy to answer any questions we had in regards to any aspect of the history of the house and Borden family.
I cannot recommend this enough, we had a fantastic time here. Also followed the visit up with a visit to the cemetery to see the graves of the Borden family, again Karen gave us all the information we needed to be able to do this.
Go next door once your done and try one of the many amazing coffees on offer in Miss Lizzie's coffee!

We had the best tour of the Lizzie Borden House. Megan, our tour guide, was so incredibly knowledgeable and the tour was entertaining. Her coworkers were friendly and everyone was good at their work. Great gift shop options. So interesting and informative.

House is great. Our tour guide was an actor, presentation was delivered awesome. Parking was meh... the parking lot for the house only has maybe 10 spots had to park on the meter parking. And the extended tour to the basement wasn't really anything great.

Excellent, super-informative Tour Guide, Elliot. House is filled with period furnishings, artifacts & wonderful photographs. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We thought our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, very informative and quite entertaining. We very much enjoyed the tour and appreciated the time he allowed for people taking pictures.

I couldn’t have expected better! The house was SO active, as predicted! I was so very pleased with absolutely everything!! The tours, the staff (shoutouts to Ashley and Rick!!), and most especially the spirits!! 13/10, would absolutely do it all again!!

Loved it but which we could’ve gotten more history about each room including the third floor. Loved the interactive experience with Lizzie and Maggie

Me and my family had an awesome time touring the Lizzie Borden house! Our guide was Nicole and she was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions! We were able to explore all of the rooms and didn’t feel rushed at all! If you are in the area this is a must see! Well worth the money!

We the best time! Our tour guide Elliot was exceptional! We will definitely be visiting in the future!!! Other family members are excited to come too!

Larry was very informative and was energetic. Even my children enjoyed the history and even the lore around what really happened.
We really enjoyed everything & we are still talking about it hours later. If you are team Lizzie or not- it’s a great place to visit and learn more about the time & the events that lead up to and after the murders.

The Lizzie Borden B&B was an AMAZING experience! We stayed on a Friday night in the Bridget Sullivan room & included a ghost hunt and breakfast in the morning. We arrived a tad earlier than check in and were able to store our bags – note to other Fall River guests, there is very little to do in the town. We wrongly assumed there would be a quaint downtown with little stores or restaurants…be warned that Fall River itself is pretty desolate. We were able to find a cute on-dock bar/restaurant by the waterfront (s/o to The Tipsy Seagull) but I would personally advise not planning to spend too much extra time exploring the neighborhood.
Anyway, the Borden BnB ghost hunt was excellent. They provide you with equipment and allow you to wander the first floor and basement of the house. I’ve never been on a ghost hunt before, so I do not have much to compare it to but, if there are spirits, they were very active! We got a lot of hits on the equipment and there seemingly was intelligent communication (we asked questions and got definite responses). Everyone on the hunt took it seriously (no goof offs or silly questions) and it was a fun time.
The accommodations themselves were comfortable enough for a 100+ year old home. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable (and I’m usually one to bring my own sheets and pillows so I’m on the picky side). No haunts or bumps in the night although the toilet on our floor kept running so we had to go down to the 1st floor bathroom which…was pretty spooky alone in the middle of the night. Note that you bathrooms are shared with other guests but we barely ran into anyone our whole time there so it wasn’t a problem.
Breakfast in the morning was fine (scrambled eggs, sausage, sliced fruit) but the best part was the girls who prepared it. They were very sweet and told me some of their own personal ghost stories when I went down in the morning to use the bathroom. That being said, everyone who worked at the Borden home was so kind and you can really tell they love being there and being a part of the story.
All in all it was a fabulous time and I definitely recommend it

Better than I could have imagined !!!!!!! Pleasantly surprised! Tour guide was absolutely fantastic!! Thank you!!😘

What a great tour of the Lizzie Borden museum! Very informative and our tour guide Megan held our attention with her knowledge about the Borden murders! Wow! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Elaina, was phenomenal! She made the tour for us and it was the best tour of this type I’ve taken in a very long time. She is knowledgeable, engaging, and you can tells she loves what she’s doing.

Karen was an amazing tour guide with more knowledge than any of us ever thought we’d get. Such an awesome experience and tour!! So well kept

The tours and staff were amazing. Rick gave us a hybrid tour of the cemetery and was engaging and fun. His knowledge is superb. We had a walking tour on the night of 4/26 and our guide was so polarizing and into her history of the area that we felt like we were taken back in time. Elaina gave us a tour of the whole house today and I would take the tour from her again and again, she was awesome. We will be back.

My Family and I took the tour @ Lizzie’s house today, Megan was our guide. She was great! Megan loves her job and it shows. She really educated us in a fun and memorable way. She answered all of our questions and gave us time to really explore each room. I would highly recommend doing this tour! Ask for Megan, she had so much energy and passion, it’s infectious. It’s a MUST DO!!!

We enjoyed the tour of the house with Dave our guide. He was very informative and very nice. Would recommend a visit to Lizzie Borden’s house.

Rick was both informative and entertaining to walk through the house with. He was witty, funny & had much knowledge about the house & history of the bordens. The house has a heavy feeling of dread that you’ll be able to feel once you step over the threshold. The house has seen gruesome murders and the mystery lies within. Highly recommend this tour. You’ll be captivated by the trinkets from the 1800s that have been stored in the house and gathered over time. This was both fun and spooky. The gift shop also has the coolest stuff.

Such a great tour! Megan was very knowledgeable and I learned even more than I had known before attending. Highly recommend!

We attended the Murder History Dinner and it was fabulous! We loved the actress who played Lizzie’s sister, Emma. She stayed in character the whole time until the end when she allowed us to ask any questions about Lizzie, the case or the house. If you get a chance to attend one of these dinners, please do! Highly recommend the experience.

As locals, we weren’t sure what to expect bringing two 8-year-olds—but this tour completely exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Elaina, was outstanding. She delivered all the fascinating (and spooky!) history of the Lizzie Borden case while striking the perfect balance: engaging and appropriately eerie for adults, yet completely age-appropriate for kids.
She kept our children interested without ever crossing into “too scary,” and we never felt like the experience was watered down. That’s not easy to do. Elaina was knowledgeable, warm, and clearly experienced at reading the room.
Even living nearby, we learned so much and had a fantastic time as a family. Highly recommend this tour—especially if you’re visiting with kids and want a guide who truly knows how to tailor the experience. We’d absolutely go again.

The tour lasted a little over an hour and provided great detail about the family, house and trial. Rebecca was friendly, knowledgeable and did an excellent job guiding the tour.

A friend and I toured the Lizzie Borden house recently, and Nicole was our guide. Her knowledge about the home itself, the Borden family and the other citizens of Fall River and how they all intertwined before, during and after the murders was extensive. She made the tour very interactive and engaging. Highly Recommend!

We booked the Ghost Hunt as part of our overnight stay at the house. Amber, the guide, was very engaging and personable. I truly do not know how she can do this so often and still be able to walk into a dark room. Our group was small, and we definitely had some experiences, so much so that I and a few others were so spooked/troubled that we could not continue the hunt. My husband did and he had a grand time.
I would highly recommend this to those who are not faint of heart. I thought I wasn't, but things happened, and I quickly learned I have limits.

The tour was very informative and really enjoyable! I learned a lot about the Lizzie Borden trial/inquisition/judgment and the tour guide was informative and very funny. The other guests who were on the tour were very enthusiastic and that made it even more fun! I would highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money.

By far this is one of the most interactive stay (non-digital) my friends and I have experienced. From the very beginning you can feel the ambience the house emits with its notorious history and the “macabre” layout the owner has put. Definitely recommend the first floor tour at night and city tour as well if you’re staying. What can I say more, it’s just so fun and enjoyable with an eerie sense. Just make sure you stay with a group of friends or family because if you luck out, you might be the only guest that night, and that can be a bit scary once your mind plays tricks on you. Definitely coming back if given the chance with a group of course.

I took the Aug 13 Lizzie Borden House Ghost Tour with Spencer, and I am happy to recommend this tour and tour leader to anyone with an interest in all things Lizzie.
It may seem odd to use the adjective 'joyous' to describe something like a ghost tour in a house where murders occurred, but it's the first word that comes to mind when thinking about my tour with Spencer.
Spencer is an intelligent, gracious and crazy-well-informed tour guide for beginners and those more sophisticated. He was able to both keep on track with essential Lizzie information while at the same time answering any and all questions that were thrown at him. I'm agnostic as regards 'ghost hunting' and remain so, but I can say that Spencer expanded my view of the activity with his honesty and professionalism.
End take? If you are interested ... ATTEND!

The guide was knowledgeable and welcomed questions. The tour was interesting and informative. It was the perfect length of time.

Larry was our tour guide and what a great job he did! The tour was informative and entertaining, very interesting. Would absolutely recommend to anyone coming through the area.

We very much enjoyed our experience. It was very informative of anything you would want to know about the family or the case. Dave did an awesome job with our tour!

excellent tour! Karen, our guide, did a wonderful job explaining, telling the history and answering questions and we really enjoyed it

We had a great time learning about the history of this home. Nicole was our docent. She said she was new but you wouldn't think it. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She interacted very well with all the guests, making jokes and laughing which made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and it is well worth your time and money. I would definitely recommend!

Thought the story was pretty much cut and dry, but after experiencing the very detailed tour, it left a lot of doubts and possibilities as to who actually was involved. We learned so much, very informative, and our tour guide was amazing and extremely professional! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience at the Lizzie Borden house. Our tour guide, Mr. Borden, provided lots of interesting information as well as his perspective of the events of that fateful day. Highly recommend as a stop.

Ryk was a fantastic tour guide in an historic house with a fascinating story. You are provided details that make you question your confidence that you know what really happened. I loved every minute.

As a Massachusetts native and a history lover, this tour was spectacular. Worth every penny of the admission fee, about an hour and a half, and the tour guide Ryk was a wealth of knowledge on the subject of Lizzie and all the goings on in 1892. It’s January so there were only 6 of us on the tour which made it very personal. I will be back to tour again and maybe even stay…if I dare.

We took the Lizzie Borden House and the Oak Grove cemetery tour with Rick on the same day. It was great! Rick was full of information and humor. Loved it!

We were so pleased with the Lizzie Borden House tour. It lasted about 90 minutes, and honestly it was better than a movie! The tour guide, Megan Alves, was so knowledgeable and entertaining! I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits Fall River, MA or any towns close to Fall River. It was a fun adventure for all of us!

Excellent tour by Megan. She was knowledgeable and witty. My advice, parking is slim, give yourself time to get there and park. Also, note that you should check in at the gift store for your tour.

Our tour guide, Ryk, was fantastic. He was fun and very informative. Really had great information and details. Very well presented. Thank you Ryk for making our experience so enjoyable!

Fantastic!!! Megan was amazing she was so knowledgeable and welcoming. It was better than I could have expected. Highly recommend

I went with 2 other friends. We only live 5 miles away and couldn't believe we hadn't visited sooner. Karen was a great and very informative guide. The pictures in the house of the bodies were original which we never seen before. When others knew we went they were jealous.

We took the Lizzie Borden House Tour which was simply amazing! We learned so much about the Borden Family that we didn’t know. Our tour guide, Nicole, was the absolute best. She was so charismatic and knowledgeable! We could not have hoped for a better experience or tour!
We, also, stayed the night in the John Morse and Lizzie and Emma bedrooms. The John Morse bedroom was active the entire night! Just incredible! Breakfast was wonderful, too!
Doing the tour and staying overnight were the most fantastic experiences we have ever had on a vacation! Highly recommend the Lizzie Borden House Tour and staying overnight.

The house was decorated and the tour very informative We even had a bit of a spooky experience when an unseen entity tugged on my daughter’s purse.

We went to the Lizzie Borden coffee shop to start had some delicious coffee and food then booked a tour here! It was super informative and Jay our tour guide did an amazing job!

The guide jay was amazing he was funny amazing story teller he answered questions great and he showed the parts of the house in great ways and made the experience way more enjoyable

Loved visiting the Borden house next time I would like to stay the night. Karen made the tour really come alive with her energy and knowledge. I would love to take the tour again this time seeing the basement. I recommend everyone, if you have a chance to see this house should go.

My sister and I visited the house and the basement. Our tour guide was Larry. He was very kind and very friendly. We adored our tour and would recommend it 100%. The price wasn't high in comparison with other tours we did during our trip. The tour was long enough to get the entire story and some interresting details while not too long that we would get bored. We adored the atmosphere, to us the house felt very warm and welcoming. The vibe was overall, very good. Thanks to Larry for such a great tour !

Such an awesome tour! It doesn't seem like it would take 90 minutes, but the guide we had was an amazing story teller and the tour time just flew by! My 10 year old daughter loved it as well (granted she's a "crime junkie" just like me, so younger kids that aren't into murder mysteries might get bored). Be sure to bring a bit of cash because you will want to tip your tour guide at the end.

Our visit to the Lizzie Borden House was a bucket list item for me (not so much for my husband, but he’s a good sport). I am a true crime buff and have been fascinated by the Borden case since junior high school. I tried not to set any expectations for the experience beforehand because I wanted to just experience the place and its history. For fairness, I created a single rating to cover my experiences with the B&B, house & cemetery tours, and ghost hunt experience, but I have separate comments below for each item.
The B&B is an attractive and interesting option for Lizzie Borden enthusiasts. After all, you can stay in the place where the events happen. I could check out some theories from my own research and examine some of my ideas and opinions about the case during my stay. I booked two nights in the John Morse Room (where Abby’s body was found) and included the breakfast. Our room was private enough, even though we shared a bathroom with another room. Our room was also generally quiet, even during the nightly ghost hunt. The house is within walking distance or a short drive from good local restaurants. In general, the staff is friendly and helpful, although we did encounter one young woman who was less so on our second day. (All I will say is, assume positive intent and don’t blame the guests for the communication issues of your employer.)
Having stayed at other B&Bs before, I have standards, and while I said I tried to set expectations aside, that was a challenge because the term B&B suggests some expectations. It was easy to tell that the owners (a tour company) are more interested and focused on the tour experiences than the B&B experience. This brings me to a “warning” of sorts. If you plan to stay more than one night, understand that you must completely move out of your room each morning to allow for the tours. (We knew this going in, but it was more inconvenient than we expected.) You can then come back each evening after the tours are complete. It was a bit of a hassle, but we managed.
Also, if you could be a bit spooked or put off by having a fake dead body in your room, steer clear of the John Morse Room. (I managed, but it is weird having “Abby’s body” lying on the floor all the time.) Frankly, she was in the way when you wanted to use one of the few outlets in the room to charge your phone. Otherwise, she is a quiet and patient guest.
When we were there, the water pressure in the house was awful, and the bathroom assigned to our room was out of order starting the first morning of our stay. The second night and the following morning, we had no access to a shower anywhere in the house. The staff did and said nothing about it to us and did not check to see if this caused an issue; they just put up signs for us to find. Frankly, for this issue, it was a bit like we were the burden for the staff versus the bathroom situation being a burden for us, the paying guests. I get it! Stuff happens, but think about how the guests feel when the staff pretends that the issue is the guests’ problem, not theirs.
As a last note on the B&B piece, the breakfasts are not worth the price. Each day, a nice young person made the meal, but it was anything other than stellar. Had we not paid in advance, I would have gone somewhere else the second day. The best part about the breakfast experience was talking to fellow guests.
While I could give the owners a plethora of recommendations about the B&B, the two most immediate would be to 1) pay a chef (good breakfast is a hallmark of a good B&B experience) and 2) consider offering lockers or other accommodations for guests to store their things when staying more than one night. All this said I would recommend a one-night stay for fellow Borden Case Enthusiasts! It is worth one night to interact directly with the house and see things yourself! (On a side note, you will be asked innumerable times if you think she did it. Answer at your own risk.)
The tours were excellent! We booked the house and cemetery tours. We had a wonderful older gentleman as a guide for both experiences. He was engaging and knowledgeable, and more than anything, you could tell he was experienced at the work. I swear he could sense when someone was about to sneeze and effectively paused. I highly recommend the tours, and would like to give a quick extra plug for the Cemetery Tour! Our guide shared a ton of history about the Bordens, the cemetery, and other dignitaries from Fall River. FASCINATING! The tours are the main reason my overall rating is four stars instead of three. If I were solely rating the tours, I would have given five stars.
Finally, let’s discuss the ghost hunt experience with the caveat that I am not a big believer in ghosts, demons, or other paranormal phenomena so that influences my comments. If you’re a believer, your experience would likely be different. I had no expectations going into the activity because I had no idea what we would be doing. My husband and I thought it would be an interesting experience, and that was it.
Our guide seemed knowledgeable about the house and ghost hunting, and she seemed to be a big believer and enthusiast of the paranormal. She was engaging and a good ghost storyteller. However, she seemed to assume 1) that we all believed in the paranormal and 2) that we knew about the tools and equipment we’d be using. I tried to keep an open mind throughout and even had one unexplained event happen while in the basement, which I still think about occasionally. Unfortunately, I, more often than not, felt that we were left to our own devices to figure out what we were supposed to do, which is a bad place for non-believers, no matter how open-minded they are. I have done ghost tours before (one in Gettysburg that was wonderful) and have always enjoyed them. I love the storytelling! We decided to try something new this time, and while it might be the night’s highlight for those who truly believe, it fell flat for me. Frankly, it was all I could do not to laugh audibly as I watched two young people clinging desperately to an AM radio, hoping to hear some message or another from a member of the Borden Family or some other random spirit. If this is your thing, I say do it! If you’re not a believer, maybe consider a ghost tour instead.

We did the 1:00 tour on October 13 and were disappointed. They allowed too many people on the tour and it was too crowded to even move about the rooms. Although our guide was great and seemed knowledgeable, tickets were not checked for those who paid extra to go into the basement. Was not fair to those of us who paid. Other than that, we enjoyed the tour, but could’ve had a better experience if it was less people on the tour.

This tour was awesome. Megan was a wonderful guide, full of facts and information that I did not know before going. She brought the story of the family to life and made sure everyone got accurate information. She also made sure that we had some fun as well.

Fun time! Our house tour guide, Elena was great. Well versed in the history of the event. The teens went on the guided evening ghost walk and search for the paranormal in the basement and had a spooky blast with Jay. An experience for sure. Did Lizzie do it? Did she have help? No one but The Borden’s know for sure. All staff very welcoming and pleasant.

Our tour guide, Elliot, was nothing short of amazing. They provided a balanced, multifaceted informative narration of the events of the day. Background information of the characters in the narrative gave one the opportunity to reach your own conclusions of what happened. Also what Lizbeth's life was like after the murders. Definately worth going and if you are lucky you'll get Elliot as your tour guide. Well worth the trip!

Ryk was a fabulous tour guide! It was really interesting learning so many details about the Borden family and the murders that took place 132 years ago. Comparing the reenactments of where the victims were found to the pictures was also cool. If you like history, ghost stories, and/or murder stories, you will get a lot out of this tour.

The overall tour and tour guide was incredible. Very informative with a lot of history, humor and many things to ponder. Our tour guide, Elaina, was incredible. For the tour itself, my rating would be a 5. My issue is not with the tour itself but with the tours refusal to refund for my wife and our younger grandson. At the site after we had paid on the internet, staff stated that their policy was no children under 10, and they strongly recommended that our almost 7 year old grandson not enter, which meant my wife or I had to stay with him and FORFEIT payment. We acquiesced based on their strong recommendation. The basic site makes no mention of age limitations and we had to eat the cost. They refused a refund.

Ryk McInyte absolutely killed it, with historical facts sprinkled throughout the tour like so many skull fragments. He included just the right amount of (vitreous) humors to keep things light, and allowed our group plenty of time to linger like poltergeists to photograph the bloody bedrooms, putrid parlors and killer kitchen. 10 out of 10, would get axed in the face again.

The guide was super knowledgeable and great! Very interesting information and history of the town and family. Highly enjoyed!

Our tour guide Megan Alves was so knowledgeable and fun. She made the tour very interesting. I give her 5 stars!! I will recommend this tour to anyone in the future!

Our tour guide was excellent as well as our overnight stay!
Our tour guide was excellent. The story he told as we went through the house was very thorough and a different twist on it then when we did the tour about 12 years ago. We stayed one night in the Andrew and Abby room. It was very nice and had a private bath. We had breakfast the next morning. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I would recommend a visit to the Lizzie Borden house to anyone visiting Fall River, MA or New England.

It was amazing, I learned alot and loved seeing everything and learning about back then and things that happened back then

This was an interesting, guided tour. Parking available within walking distance of the site. Tour starts by checking in at the Carriage House/Gift Shop in the back. Lots of neat trinkets. The tour itself was phenomenal. Ryk provided an entertaining and educational adventure. Doubles as a bed and breakfast, which I wish I had the time to take advantage of.

We took a day trip to visit the Lizzie Borden House. The group consisted of me, my husband, my sister, my son and his girlfriend (both 16 years old). The tour guide was fantastic! He told the story of Lizzie Borden and the murder of her father and step-mother. He definitely knew how to weave a tail! We did the extended basement tour. That was disappointing. We didn't realize that the basement houses stuff for the bed and breakfast so you couldn't actually get near to the spot where the ax was found. Definitely recommend the tour but not the basement extension tour!

Karen is an excellent tour guide because of her great storytelling skills. My daughter and I enjoyed our tour very much!

Exactly what we had hoped for! We stayed in the John Morse room and it was perfectly creepy!! The room was spacious, the bed was comfy, and Abby kept us company all night long. :) The tour was fantastic and a great way to set the mood before our overnight stay. Having coffee in the sitting room where Lizzie, and family, also spent time was very cool. Absolutely loved the whole experience!

My husband and I toured the house a couple of weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Karen, provided much insight into the family, their relationships within society, events following the murders, and the evolution of maintaining the house and its legacy. Karen wove the facts with various conjectures of Fall River's population at the time of the murders, and provided us with some chuckles along the way. The tour provided ample time to look closely at everything and ask as many questions as we liked. We highly recommend this as a stop while in Fall River!

Dave offered us a great tour and experience! A good balance of educational and chilling. We would most definitely visit again.

We have travelled from the UK for a Halloweeny trip to New England, and booked this tour after a recommendation on a podcast. No regrets here! Larry was a great guide, engaging, knowledge and enthusiastic. Fascinating to see inside an house of this period, and enjoyed learning about all yhe characters involved in this mystery!

We absolutely loved our tour of the Lizzie Borden house. Ryk our tour guide was the best so funny and informative. We then took the graveyard tour with Nicole and we had her all to our self. She was just as wonderful as Ryk. I recommend these tours if you’re ever in Fall River. Jill Peterson

Great experience. Our tour guide was awesome. It was very informative. Definitely worth taking this tour. We really enjoyed it.

Megan Was our tour Guide and she was absolutely fantastic . You could tell her passion for the house and the information provided were genuine . I have done a great deal of ghost tours and this was one of the best

Rick was an absolutely amazing guide! The information he shared was so detailed, with well timed wit, and the ability to make every member of the tour feel like he was speaking to just them. He was able to answer all questions, and even welcomed them. Having the opportunity to take as many pictures as I wanted made it that more fun. The gift shop also had a good amount of different items for sale. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's a true crime fan, history buff, or just someone who enjoys hearing an interesting story.

Karen was our tour guide. She did amazing! The stories, the additional information, she was very knowledgeable. Love the costumes, it brings the stories to life in an extra sense. Her stories were well told, loved the jokes and light humor. Her voice projected, and she was amazing at pointing out all of the photos and characters and setting the mood. Good job, Karen!

I took my mother and my daughter on a tour of The Lizzie Borden House and basement on June 17th. We had Megan Alves as our tour guide. She was excellent and kept us engaged the entire tour. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house, the family and the case. If you ever find yourself in Fall River Massachusetts looking for something to do on a rainy day, we highly recommend this experience.

Don’t waste your $. The place is unkempt, bathtub in Mr. Mrs. Suite disgusting,no key to lock our door from the outside had to put belongings back in car ,glass display cases layers of dust, curtains hung incorrectly no care given to the presentation of the home. Breakfast was an added $20 per person. Usually breakfast comes with the stay. Clearly the owner is just cashing in on the “Haunted House” label.

The tour begins... Karen (our tour guide) was amazing and very informative. We throughly enjoyed it. Would recommend 5/5 stars!

Jay was an awesome tour guide. Well done! Informative, sometimes spooky, sometimes funny.
We really enjoyed the tour!

It was a fun and spooky experience for the whole family. The tour guide told everybody the story and case of the Lizzie Borden murders. 10/10, will go again

My husband and I did the Lizzie Borden Tour on 9/02/25. We had Larry as our tour guide, he was terrific! He provided a true historical account of the Borden family dynamics and relationships. His story painted a clear picture of a mishandled crime scene and investigation leading to an abundance of possibilities that continually peaked our interest! I also highly recommend the extra tour to the basement, we witnessed an orb with our own eyes! Thank you for a great tour Larry! It was one for the books!

I was so intrigured by the story telling of ELAINA. She was incredible. Elaina was very knowledgable and cracked a few jokes too! We loved every minute of the tour of the main house and the basment! Much more to the story then I actually thought.
Highlight of our trip to Boston and area

We had an amazing tour of the house! Our guide Elaina was so well informed and so entertaining. She really enjoys what she does and it shows. Thank you for a very educational and spooky tour.

We are sooooo glad we came to Fall River to do the tour. Elliot was the absolute best! We were so impressed by their breadth of knowledge and their ability to tell a compelling and cohesive story. We felt like we learned so much, even as true crime junkies. And we loved all the newspaper clippings and photos that were sprinkled throughout the home.

Our experience at the Lizzie Borden House was absolutely unforgettable! Elaina went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had the best possible visit. Her energy, humor, and deep knowledge brought the history to life and made the tour both engaging and educational. We learned so much and had a great time—highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

We went yesterday to the Borden home for the anniversary of the 1892 murders. We had a phenomenal day here as all the tour guides were pretty much the kindest, coolest and most informative people you could meet at a historic site.
Our tour guide Ryk was especially wonderful. I love it when a guide is naturally knowledgeable and although I’ve studied the murders and trials for years, I still learned more things from Ryk yesterday that I didn’t know.
Now THATS a good tour guide! Very impressive.
I love the Borden house and the beauty and attentiveness to which it’s run and I can’t wait to come back again and again…and again!
This experience is exactly what you want out of the best historic haunted bed and breakfast in the country.
Thank you everyone for such a wonderful fun day 🖤🪓

Entertaining and fun—-however I would’ve liked it more if our tour guide was in costume. That would’ve made it even more entertaining!

I had always wanted to visit the house since I learned about it in history class. The day finally arrived and I loved learning more about the event, seeing the actual pictures, and touring the house. Our guide was great as well.
However, the highlight was in a picture I took of the house while standing outside and waiting for the tour to begin. I somehow managed to capture an image of Abby and it was verified by the guide the next day when I went back and took another picture at the same spot. Spooky!

Our tour guide Larry was so engaging and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this tour. The house was amazingly preserved and decorated. Larry left us all debating on the killers identity all the way home! Gift shop was cool too for souvenir swag.

My spouse and I loved our tour through the Lizzie Borden house. I like learning about the history of a location, and my husband just wants to be impressed (lol). The tour guide delivered on both. He commanded our attention with an engaging and knowledgeable tour full of information derived from facts—with maybe just a couple of spooky anecdotes and grisly mannequins thrown in to set the scene. (However, it was no kitschy ghost tour, so keep that in mind if that's what you're looking for.) I came away with a new appreciation of the social norms of Lizzie Borden's time and how they might have influenced her accusers, and the name of the person who might have REALLY been guilty!

We did the house tour. Our guide, Megan Alves, was great and made it so much fun as well as interesting and informative. It was a good take!

Tour was creepy, scary. Much better than my expectations! Our tour guide, Dave A, was extremely knowledgeable and had lots of fun trivia facts. I will not be going back in the house, it freaked me out in a fun way. A must see ONCE. 🎃😩🍁👻

We took the house tour and our hostess was amazing! She made us feel like we were actually there right after it happened. A definite must if you stop in Fall River!

We had a great time at the house and our tour guide Nicole was amazing! A few times the ghosts made themselves known to me - where Father was murdered, in the kitchen where Lizzie burned her dress, and especially in the basement. Highly recommended!!!

Megan Alves our tour guide was amazing., great knowledge about the history, amazing choreography, and amazing human spirit. this is the best experience I have visiting haunted and historic locations.
She is doing amazing job with big passion.

Very informative and accurate. Our guide Abby was fantastic very personable and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in the paranormal or true crime!

Our tour guide Dave Allen was super nice very friendly and super nice he did the best tour I rate him 10 stars . He was super nice .I really like him.i would go back if he was my tour guide again. He made it so fun .I wish I could have gotten my photo with him

Ashley was an amazing tour guide. We had a great experience and honestly loved the time we spent in the house. We also spent the night. You won't be disappointed!

Surprised my wife with a detour to The Lizzie Bordon House
She had no clue.
I’ve heard her talk about this place for years so when I realized it was an hour away from where we went for my appointment I had to.
The expression on her face as we pulled in was priceless
Great experience
Nicole our tour guide was incredible
Thank you

The tour of the Lizzie Borden House was great! Elaina, our guide, was amazing!! She was so knowledgeable about the various facts of the murders and Lizzie's trial, as well as Lizzie's life after her trail. She conveyed the information in an authoritative, yet humorous manner (where appropriate), which made the tour all the more enjoyable. The tour is a definite must for anyone interested in the Lizzie Borden case or who grew up with the iconic song about Lizzie Borden.

The tour guide was new but she did an awesome job. Enjoyed the tour very much. She was very informative, knowledgeable and well spoken.

Awesome house tour with Elliot.
Awesome and exciting ghost walk tour plus ghost hunt experience with Ashley. Definitely recommend doing the tour of the house, ghost walk and ghost hunt. Lots of energy and enthusiasm demonstrated by both tour guides. Also stay the night in Andrew and Abby room on 2nd floor. At times you can smell some sweet perfume in the air. Overall excellent experience, definitely will come again .

We had a wonderful tour of the Lizzie Borden House! I believe that it was Nicole who was our guide and it was her first tour, she was well trained and engaging with knowledge of the events and the trial. Finding that the house was so expertly furnished to match the originals was very connecting. Highly recommend this site and tour, even for a sleep-over!

The tour guide was so well informed and told the history so entertaining! The whole tour was so interesting and fun, we really felt close to the history. She mixed just a little ghostly fun into the history that always landed, and she was just so so funny. Absolutely amazing experience.

It was so cool to see the history and story behind it and still so much unknown only those in the house that day know the truth

Elaina did a great job keeping everyone engaged while retelling the history behind the home and its occupants. Lots of cool souvenirs in the gift shop.
(It’s a shame the pear trees and barn are gone. That would have been interesting since her alibi heavily relied on them)

Excellent tour. Jay was an excellent guide and even gave us info on where to find the grave site. I'm definitely going again.

The Victorian Murder History Dinner was amazing. The First part was of this great evening was an historic lesson on how to entertain and how to act during the Victorian era. The silverware is set and the china was out. The second half of the event was eating the delicious food the staff prepared, while being entertained by the staff about Lizzy. The staff was completely dressed in era clothing making feel very much like I was back in time. I learned so much about that infamous day. All guests at the table were open to discuss the murder and offer their own personal ideas of whom done it. What a great evening. I would highly recommend this event if it is offered in the future. Great time!

Very interesting! Our tour guide was awesome. She really knew her stuff & made the history come alive with her story telling! Gift shop os very cool

Visiting New England for the first time, my daughters and I set out to check out the paranormal and true crime scenes. The Lizzie Borden House was at the top of my daughter’s list. The tour delivered. The house is just the right amount of creepy, especially with the crime victims mannequins - tastefully covered with sheets. Peek beneath the sheet only if you dare! Our guide was wonderful, sharing the history of the case and adding bits of occasional comic relief. We especially liked her “fun facts.” Is the house haunted? All I can say is that e got a VERY queasy feeling in the toy room…
My only suggestion is to keep the groups a little bit smaller because it was hard to squeeze everyone into the rooms.

Had an amazing night Ghost hunting, 3rd year there....its always different experience every year, highly recommend! Even if your a skeptic....Jay was our host that night and he was very helpful ,knowledgeable, respectful and funny too!

Very informative and loved Karen! She was wonderful! For the time of year, it was the right amount of information and time in each room.

Excellent staff !!! The story teller was so good and thorough. The food was on point and delicious. I will definitely spread the word to family and friends.

Arrived late for the last tour of the day due to horrific traffic. Nicole understood our frustration after what should have been a 2-hour drive was almost 4 hours. She then gave us a personal tour of the first floor and hooked us up with the tour that we had initially been late for. Nick continued as guide for the rest of the tour and provided lots of excellent information for the rest of the tour. Nicole also helped making gift shop selections. Good staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued customers.

What a great day to be touring the Borden house (Halloween). Our tour guide Megan was amazing. So knowledgeable and entertaining . I would highly recommend taking the Lizzie Borden tour and if Megan is your guide it will be a great experience.

I thought the tour was wonderful, and would have given five stars except for one thing. There were too many people on the tour. I think there were 25 people in our group, and the limit should really be 10-15. The rooms are really small, and there was barely any room for everyone in some of the rooms. In each room we were given time to look more closely at photos and such, but there was another tour right behind us, so we couldn’t linger too long. Too many people made it difficult to spend the time that I wanted. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed the tour!

Super fun tour and our tour guide was phenomenal!! They dress and act the perfect part of a Lizzie Borden House tour guide!!

We visited the Lizzie Borden house this past Sunday (October 6th, 2024). Our tour guide was engaging, energetic and super knowledgeable. Loved everything she had to say!
The only reason I can’t give 5 stars was because the tour group was huge. Twenty five people crammed into each tiny room of the house to listen to the tour wasn’t ideal. Groups should be a maximum of 15 people. It’s understandable that the groups are large at this time of year as it’s their peak season. Still well worth the drive from Canada! 👍🏻👍🏻

Very informative and not rushed. The tour guide was thorough and engaging. We were allowed to take pictures. It was a very exciting and enjoyable experience that both me and my son had been planning on going since the beginning of our trip to Massachusetts, and it did not disappoint at all. We both highly recommend going and booking a tour.

Very interesting and informative with touch of creepy. Our tour guide was Karen and she was great personable and very knowledgeable on the history.

Awesome tour! The tour guide Elliot was great! Very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information that we didn’t know before. My only complaint was the tour group size. Way too many people in a group to fully enjoy the tour. It was hard to get everyone in a room and hard to see everything with so many people.

It was a great tour of the house and the story behind the Borden's. The tour did not give you any information on the house being haunted. Not sure if you have to pay an additional $7.00 per person and take the basement tour to get that information. The sign out front states that it is one of the 10 most haunted places in the US. So that was a disappointment.

Interesting historical location. If you know the story its a must see. Our tour guide was awesome. Very informative and made the tour fun. If in the area definitely visit.

Our tour guide was very informative and humorous. The house was beautifully decorated from the era. The basement addon is worth it. Enjoyed it !

The new guy was really nice and funny his name started with a d but funny guys told us a lot he was really nice on time nothing went wrong would go again

Went on the lizzie tour with a work group. Was a great experience and would most definitely recommend! Perfect outing right before Halloween.

Fun tour with a great guide. Definitely worth the money. Ninety minutes went by so quickly We learned many interesting facts

Great tour with a very nice and knowledgeable guide. Gift shop is nice, and the staff is friendly.
Cute town, highly recommend.

Loved the tour! Rye was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job. Something we have been wanting to do for a while now. Next on the list is to stay the night!

The tour guide, house and atmosphere were amazing. It wasn’t just about the paranormal, it was also historical. Our only complaint is that too many people were booked at once. It made it hard to really look around the rooms (or even fit in the rooms).

Karen did an excellent job. Highly recommend this tour. A lot of information about the murder that took place. You can even stay in one of the rooms.

The experience was awesome! The house was amazing and the employees were great! Met a lot of great people staying at there. The tour was very informative and the guides were very knowledgeable. Will do it again the future!

Such a great, thorough tour. Karen was the best. She was fun and witty, was engaging and happy to answer questions, and didnt rush us through the experience.

This was a really fun and informative trip. this was my second visit - the first time I was lucky to arrive on the anniversary of the "event" and they were doing a crime scene reenactment (very cool). This trip was for the tour and the basement tour (worth the extra $). Ryk McIntyre was the historian and he was awesome and very informative.
PS - if you visit, make sure you visit the coffee shop next door - there is so much MORE to the story there.

The tour was very interesting with stories we haven't heard before. We really liked all the artifacts in the house. Our tour guide, Karen was very knowledgeable and friendly.

We just did the tour. We did not stay overnight. Our tour guide, Rick, was hilarious! The tour was an excellent mix of history, humor, and entertainment

Tour guide was amazing. Very informative and fun. It wasn't to long and it covered things we didn't yet know about the case.

Tour guide was quite good…entertaining for sure. I wish I could remember her name. I’ve always had a strange curiosity regarding the Lizzie Borden story.
I thought it might be interesting to tour the home since I was in the vicinity. I have taken many types of tours and I thought this particular one was WAY over priced. Then, there is an additional $7 charge if you want to see the basement (definitely skip that one). So that’s, $30 plus $7 and there is strong encouragement to tip.
It was interesting and I wouldn’t discourage anyone from seeing the Lizzie Borden house. I would just make you aware of the fact that it is overpriced (my opinion).

Guide was excellent and the hisory, his referenced sources and educated insights made the experience more enjoyable.. Faccinating and legendary murder whodunnit!

We had an amazing time. As a lover of all things spooky and horror, there were a few things that were talked about that I didn’t even know about regarding her case. Jack, our guide was witty and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Dave Allen was great! He was very knowledgeable and helped my husband and I understand everything a lot better. What a great experience.

We had so much fun visiting Lizzie's house. Elaina is an amazing tour guide. We loved her personality and sense of humor.

This was a great tour! Megan Alves who was our tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative and enthusiastic. We're looking forward to going back!

Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Nicole the tour guide was very personable and attentive to my elderly relatives needs

Great informative tour! I would definitely opt for the add-on to see the inside of the house and hear about the details of the murder.

The house and basement tour was awesome! hearing the history was fascinating and you could definitely feel the different energy in each room. i highly recommend if youre in the area!

Megan was great and gave tons of history on the house and events that took place! It definitely made me question if it was Lizzie or not.

Our tour guide Elaina Mariani was amazing! She has a wonderful personality and was very knowledgeable. Definitely feel we got our monies worth. And I loved the gift shop too. Don't forget to go next door and get some coffee. That was wonderful too! Soooo glad we had the experience. Thank you to everyone who works there!

Ryke was a great tour guide! Very funny with a dry sense of humor, and knowledgeable about all of the history and paranormal! I love the addition of the Andrew and Abby mannequins! This was my 3rd time coming to the house, and I still learned lots of new things. Great experience!

We had Megan v as a tour guide and she did an amazing job throughout. Not only did she know the historical facts but also the scientific and forensic and you could see she was a professional by the way she had each segment timed on her watch. She had a great theory at the end when she made us wait for her so we can gather our own decision. An amazing start to our honeymoon and she is an asset to your business.

Well worth it! The Lizzie Borden house has been accurately restored and, aside from the murders, gives an interesting glimpse of life in the late 1800s.
We had heard the tale of how Lizzie Borden’s father and stepmother were murdered in their home, but had not heard the details that make one wonder if Lizzie was the murderer, and if she was, had she acted alone? Based on what we heard about her father and stepmother mother, could she have been blamed for her actions if she was guilty?
Our guide Aidan was fantastic, he did a really professional job of weaving the story as he took us through the rooms. The basement tour for a small upcharge is a must, Aidan told us about the murders of children that happened next door to the Lizzie Borden house and Aidan’s own ghostly experiences in the house as an employee.
An added bonus: great gift shop!!

I had a great time on the tour of Fall River, and the Lizzie Borden house last night. Our guide was awesome, very funny and had so much knowledge and history to share. The walk through town was interesting but the best part of the tour by far was going into the 1st floor of the house. I highly recommend you add this on to your tour, it's so worth the extra money. This is where we learned the most history and got to truly experience the story firsthand.

Our guide, Jay, was very informative and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the tour!
Do wish they had more historical books in the gift shop.

It was an interesting experience. They do need to provide some water, drinks and snacks as there is not much nearby. Also, you can’t really call your self a bed and breakfast if breakfast is extra.

Our trip to the Lizzie Borden house was amazing!! Our tour guide Elaina was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience very interesting. She has a great sense of humor too!! We all learned a lot about this case. Highly recommend a visit!

We had a great tour guide! She was very informative and answered all of our questions. It was so much better than we expected and we really loved the tour!

We did the Lizzie Borden Fall River Ghost tour and extended tour with our guide Ashley and had a great experience. Ashley told the Ghost stories so we'll and kept us captived the whole time! This experience was a 5 out of 5!

The Borden house was staged as it was back in history at the scene of the crime. There were many photographs and replicas to look at. Our guide was engaging, fun and full of information. What an interesting story and setting!

My 9 yo daughter and I visited for a tour during spring break. We both absolutely loved it! The tour was led by Elaina, who met us dressed in period garb and set the scene in every room we toured. She was knowledgeable of seemingly every piece of the Lizzie Borden puzzle, giving us all of the information, but encouraging us to come to our own conclusions as to what may have happened. The house was furnished as it would have been during the 1800s, with memorabilia throughout, including original newspaper clippings and even Lizzie’s personal reading material. I can’t say enough about this amazing experience and our wonderful tour guide, Elaina!!!

I FINALLY made it to the Lizzie Borden house. This was a dream come true. The tour guides were approachable and full of history and stories. The staff was beyond accommodating. I did 3 tours and stayed the night in the Murder Room. Excellent! You must stop by. Even if it's just for a tour. You won't be sorry.

This was on my bucket list. It was a great experience. Elliot lead our tour and was amazing and shared all of the facts of the case. I learned every detail and more. It was worth the time and the money!!! Well done!! Thanks Elliot.

My husband and I had a delightful time. The staff were engaging and very knowledgeable about the Lizzie Borden case. Would recommend.

This tour was fantastic. It was very thorough and fascinating. Our tour guide. Rick, was very nice, funny, and charismatic. The whole experience was worth the price. The length of the visit was appropriate.

Larry was a fabulous guide and really took us back in time to the 1800s! So informative and entertaining, we really enjoyed our experience. Thank you Larry!

Karen was absolutely amazing ! Funny and she gave so much information. This tour was my favorite part of our vacation. I would do this tour over again. Over all I left happy and wanting to stay. The tour was 90 min. The perfect amount of time. If we ever come back for vacation I would definitely do the night tour.

My husband and I's trip to the Lizzie Borden house was awesome. I thought I knew a lot about the case/story but our tour guide Karen was so captivating and informative, I actually learned so many new details. I went in thinking I knew if she was guilty or innocent and came out believing the complete opposite. Karen was fantastic and I'm so happy my husband and I had the opportunity to visit. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful & spooky evening with guide Ashley taking the ghost walking tour, house tour & paranormal investigation! I can't wait for the next trip back! Well worth the time if you are into the paranormal!

This was the highlight of my trip! The house is in amazing condition, and you’re able to go into every part (the basement is totally worth the extra charge). Our guide, Dave, was amazing! Knowledgeable, factual information and lots of fun to listen to. Safe to say next time I’ll have to come back and stay the night!

Friends from Florida came for a long weekend to Boston to visit Salem and the Lizzie Borden House was another request. Rebecca was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable for someone who has only been there a few short weeks. We had about 15 people on our tour and I can't imagine having up to 30 as she said can happen?? The home has no hallways, but narrow stairwells and fitting into small rooms. We did do the basement tour, which we all agreed didn't feel was worth the extra $7.00. Our party did have an 11 year old that claimed her hair was pulled in the children's bedroom, she felt a tug as she was leaving the room. I also felt woozy in the children's bedroom and I was standing alongside of her when it happened! We just had to do some extra prayers that night to assure her that no one followed us home!

Highly recommend. Exceeded expectations and Elliot was an awesome tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable (honestly shocked at how they keep all that info in their brain). We had a blast and learned a lot!

Megan our guide through the lizzie house. She was absolutely amazing. We suggest this tour for a whole family and all ages. We give Megan 5 stars.

It was incredible!! Jay was wonderful. He definitely knew his stuff. Thank you for a great experience!! We will definitely be back.

The house was amazing. Stayed for an overnight experience. Tour guide at times went off on his own tangents about today’s political events. Tour did not come with a booking of the overnight stay.

The tour was super informative. There were plenty of splashes of morbid humor which was fun, overall a really cool experience.

This tour was even better than we anticipated. Our guide was very engaging, informative, and entertaining. I had no idea the Borden case left behind so many unanswered questions. This is absolutely a must do if you're interested in true crime mysteries.

Amber, our tour guide was outstanding. She was knowledgeable and shared a lot of history and theories. She also made sure to call our attention to many small things in the house that we might have not noticed, otherwise. A great value, and a very enjoyable day.

Rebecca was our tour guide. (Lasts about 75 minutes) She was WONDERFUL!!! I would highly recommend the tour and Rebecca as your guide.

She was so passionate and always making sure it was really fun and it was she would throw jokes in murder cases she explained everything about the cases perfectly and it made a lot of sense so if you are trying to explain more than this is the perfect experience it is a hour long but so fun

Everyone there was very welcoming. We encountered a visit from the resident ghost cat. Great stop on our spooky travels

Last minute "mother/daughterS" vaca to nearby Newport. We are all true crime/Ghost Adventurers enthusiast. When we realized how close we were to Lizzie Borden House it was a no brainer - we were doing this!. We did the Ghost Hunt tour (10-midnight) and our host was Ashley (very knowledgeable), on the weekend of the anniversary of the murders. My girls and I was super fortunate to saddle up to 3 others and 1 of them knew her sh*t. The amount of activity and communication was truly amazing especially in the "Ouija board" room in the basement. LBH provided; EMF meters, digital thermometers, spirit boxes and other communication devices. We took lots of pictures (crazy amount of orbs) and videos.
If you are entertaining going to LBH, I recommend downloading a "spirit box app" like GhostTube or VOX!! You will not be disappointed.
It definitely will be something we will continue to talk about and share our experience with anyone that will lend an ear.

Had a fantastic experience ..Karen was our tour guide and she gave us a lot of interesting information about Lizzie Borden that we didn’t know….would definately recommend a visit for anyone thinking of going

Our Fourth time taking the tour. This was the best so far due to our amazing guide Megan
Terrific storyteller. Very detailed but she just spoke to us that really had us engaged. Such a wonderful experience again! The gift shop was great. All staff very friendly and engaging! We always recommend to our friends

I had been on a tour of the house many years ago and this tour was, by far the best tour! There was a ton of information and was very thorough! Our tour guide was amazing (I forget her name….shorter brown hair with glasses). She was to the point, a great story teller and through humor into the mix!

Great tour. Highly recommended. Karen was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable. Absolutely great experience

Our tour guide was amazing, had a real talent for storytelling and guided us through the house well eventhough our tour group was large. The tour was a great amount of time, felt like good value for money and such an interesting place to visit!

This is an excellent tour, made even better by our guide, Karen. The house is in great condition, well taken care of, and the history is really neat. Well worth a visit!

Our tour guide was fabulous. The history was informative and the presentation was very entertaining. Alayna was our tour guide.

Absolutely an amazing tour. We took the 10:00AM Friday tour. Our guide was amazing and so much to learn about the circumstances of this case. My wife and I are planning a return trip in the Spring and an overnight stay! I hope the ghost cat Max visits me

Excellent tour. Our guide was personable, warm, and thoroughly engaging. She presented the story in a "Cold-Case File" fashion, building all the evidence room by room. We took the tour on March 27 @ 10:30am. I wish I could remember our guide's name. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

We booked a Fall River ghost tour and added the first floor of the Lizzie Borden house. Our guide was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the area and events that happened. My daughter had taken a forensics class that did a deep dive into the Borden killings and agreed the guide was on point with facts and stories. The guide warned us about graphic pictures and props as we had a 10 year old with us. Overall, it was a great experience for our whole family!

We came from Wyoming and this tour was one of the top things we wanted to do on this trip; it did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Karen was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions; she also made the tour fun. I would recommend this to anyone interested in the Lizzie Borden case.

Amber was absolutely amazing, incredible storyteller she kept us intrigued the entire time! Along with some laughs, we learned a lot more facts that we never heard before in regards to Fall River, would 100% recommend this tour for history/paranormal enthusiasts!

The tour was very good even though we did the entire ghost tour inside because of the weather. We were offered that option and grabbed it as we had decided to do only the house portion and leave so we were able to hear the whole tour warm and dry! Very nice gentleman gave the tour.

It was a great. There was a lot of activity in the house. We learned stuff about the lizzie bordon house we didn't know. Thank you

The Lizzie Borden House was a fantastic experience. Staff was friendly, tour was excellent. I actually was visited by Max the cat that died in 2022. Real experience because I knew nothing about Max until the next day.

We meant this as a little side trip on our vacation in Salem. This visit was, by far, the favorite thing we did!
The house was definitely creepy in areas, but also oddly warm and inviting. And if you are lucky enough to get Nicole as your tour guide, you are going to have a great time! She was very informative and has a great way of telling the story and making you really understand. She was very kind and approachable and you can tell she really enjoys what she does.

Stayed in the Bridget Sullivan room and it was dope. Got a lot of activity in the room when we got there, RIGHT when we got to the room mind you (with the EMF and S-BOX). The dress lit up more than any specific spot. It calmed down the rest of the night in the Sullivan room. Downstairs on the main floor was another set of circumstances. Lights dimming then going off, then back on. Right inside the street side door. Toured the basement as well, such a good and remembered kitty. I’m giving it too much injustice. Just go, then you will see. Drove from NC for our anniversary to do this adventure of a drive and stay. After doing Waverly Hills Sanatorium and THE Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum over the last few years, this was a good change of pace that was more focused and locked in differently. Oh, and lest we forget, Jay was an absolute gem of a human and tour guide. 6/5 stars overall.

My sister and I spent a night in the Lizzie Borden House, in the Abby and Andrew Borden Suite. Our room was lovely, the beds and linens very comfy. I had a great night’s sleep, no strange sounds or bumps in the night could wake me! We included the breakfast with our stay and enjoyed it very much. The eggs, potatoes, and blueberry pancakes were well prepared and tasty, and the staff were very sweet.
We also joined the House Tour (with the basement add-on) with guide Megan Alves which was the absolute highlight of our visit. Megan is a fantastic storyteller and every guest on the tour was engaged and enthralled. We felt lucky to have her as our guide and just so enjoyed our time with her. Tours are available to visitors even if you don’t spend a night and is a terrific experience and well worth it. The rooms have been decorated to represent the time when the Borden’s lived. You can see a there has been a meticulous attention to detail in reproductions and décor. I enjoyed looking for depictions of pears throughout.
To fellow guests staying overnight: if happen to arrive before the check-in time, head to the barn behind the house where the gift shop is located for assistance. The staff is friendly and welcoming!
[Side note: Fall River has some real gems – Battleship Cove, Borden Light Marina, really good restaurants to eat at, and Portugalia, a Portuguese marketplace. Worthwhile places check out while in Fall River visiting the The Lizzie Borden House.]

Our tour guide was Megan. She provided a 90- minute tour as she shared the facts behind the two Borden murders and the Lizzie Borden trial. Her recount of the story was interesting and entertaining. Being at the scene of the murders obviously enhances the story!
My husband and I really enjoyed the tour and walking the house.

What an incredibly entertaining time we had at the Lizzie Borden Victorian Murder History Dinner! The cast was amazing and made the entire evening a blast! The food was great and we learned a lot and laughed a lot. We'll be recommending this to everyone we know! Thank you!

Great tour! Well organized and fun! The tour guide, Rick, was super knowledgeable and tells good tales. We learned a lot and had a great time!

Had such a great time at the Lizzie Borden House! Our tour guide, Rick, was absolutely fantastic. He really knows his stuff and tells the story in such an engaging way that you feel like you’re right back in 1892. He mixed history, mystery, and a bit of humor perfectly, which kept the whole tour fun and interesting from start to finish.
If you’re into history, true crime, or just want a unique experience, I highly recommend this tour. And if you get Rick as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!

For my 2024 Halloween away on business in Rhode Island, I ventured over to the happening city of Fall River, Massachusetts for a tour of one of the most haunted houses in America, the Lizzie Borden House. Parking was FREE in the small parking lot in the back of the house. The house tour ($30) lasted 60 minutes even with the Extended Basement Tour (extra $7). The tickets are in the small gift shop building behind the house next to the parking lot. There is a small bathroom available for use. There are other tours and bookings of the house available. If you'd like, you can also stay overnight at this lovely bed and breakfast. There are even Ghost Tours and Ghost Hunts if that sort of thing tickles your fancy. Say, I wonder if any kids in the neighborhood knocked on this house's door for trick-or-treating? If so, I'm sure they had a ghoulish good time.

Amber was our tour guide. It was one of the most, if the most interesting and enjoyable house tour ever taken. Would highly recommend if you are interested in history, murder mystery, &/or the supernatural.

We enjoyed the overnight stay and the tour very much thank you so much! would like to come back again sometime and also will recommend this to family and friends

Elaina Mariani did a fabulous job giving the tour to my family and I! She was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and friendly, and really made the time pass, and we learned so much! Very cool experience!

This was a weird and entertaining experience. Our tour guide Ryk was excellent. He did a great job of walking us through the sequence of events and bringing the story to life. We got some interesting photos.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave facts and you could make your own mind up.
Wonderful experience, would highly recommend

We were a little worried that this would be over-the-top theatrical but were interested in learning more about Lizzie. We were pleasantly surprised to learn so much about the history, including both about the town and social customs, in addition to the Borden family and the murders. If you're squeamish like me you can get away with glancing at the pictures/staging and still take part in the tour without being overly grossed out. Our tour guide, Eliott, really brought the house and the family to life and was ready for all our questions. Well worth a stop!

Fall River’s most popular tourist attraction is the Lizzie Borden house. There are many reasons why a person might choose to visit—basic curiosity, perhaps, a love of all things old and spooky, or just an interest in an event that became one of the most notorious crimes in American history.
While the Lizzie Borden house is a commercial enterprise—you can book an overnight stay in the house if you wish—the tour is fun and worthwhile, despite its high price ($30 per person at the time of this visit, an additional $7 to add the basement). Our tour guide, Megan, knows the history inside and out. She’ll ask for a show of hands at the beginning of the tour to see how many come convinced that Lizzie “did it.” By the end of the tour, she’ll have raised questions that may not change your view of the crime, but will lead you to form a better-informed opinion. Be aware that this is not a quickie tour; the full tour without the basement took nearly an hour and a half. Fortunately, Megan’s presentation was so lively and interesting that I was never bored, and she’s careful to make sure that people hold their questions so the tour can move along.
Although the furnishings are not original, they represent the house as it appeared in the 1890s well, and the character of the house has been well-preserved. As you walk through the house in your group, you will find opportunities to sit in a few of the rooms (I even sat next to “the body” of Mr. Borden!). There are numerous photos, small artifacts, articles, etc., to look at as you hear the story of the Borden family. You’ll get a good picture of the day of the murder, the multiple the investigation, the trial, and the fate of all the Bordens.
It seemed clear to me that our entire group was engaged in the full presentation, and a small number of them chose to add on the basement (where an axehead, suspected as the murder weapon, was found). For those considering the bed and breakfast, I can assure you that the rooms look comfortable and nice modern bathrooms are nearby in the house (added long after the cheapskate Mr. Borden refused to install them). I’m not one of the folks who go for the ghostly vibes, but I’m sure anyone who does will find it sufficiently spooky.
My only gripe was that the items in the gift shop were very cheesy; there was only one book that was useful (a compilation of all the press clippings from the original case). Otherwise, it was all supernatural junk and toys and funny tees. It would be nice if the shop included a section of more serious works–there are numerous books out there, and I’ve read a few. I think it would be a great opportunity to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the crime and what it meant in its era.

Our tour guide, Elaina, was fantastic. She was funny, informative, and really knew her history Borden history. I definitely recommend it.

I grew up in Fall River and visited when I was young, however I hadn't visited in many years. I had friends visiting from Boston and took them for a tour and we were not disappointed! The tour was amazing. Shout out to our awesome tour guide Elliot who was very informative and entertaining...we enjoyed hearing all the history and were impressed learning about how much Lizzie (anonymously) gave back to the Fall River community. Highly recommend visiting if you get the chance - and add the basement tour!

Megan was an amazing tour guide. She was very informative and friendly. We loved the tour!! We are recommending the tour to everyone who asks.

We absolutely had a wonderful time on our tour of the Lizzie Borden house today. A Wonderful tour guide who gave us a lot of information about the family and the murders.

The entire experience was and is beyond words. If you want to visit a place and area full of rich horror heritage. This your place. Staff amazing clean rooms everything to the T. Booked the Haunt Walk and Ghost Hunt in the residence. Stayed in Andrew and Abby Suite Much recommended so far. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. No props but a lot of paranormal activity. It was so amazing stayed 17th into the 18th and booked for January in another room that had some amazing paranormal activity. If you can stay in Andrew and Abby Suite My wife’s hair was brushed to the side kept getting woken up by laughing female voices my blanket kept sliding down off my shoulders and woke up with a strange scratch upper forehead and a pillow can’t do that but paranormal can. Was so amazed this is real stay of you dare. Me and spouse going back for more ❤️❤️❤️🎁

My daughter and I really enjoyed our tour at the Borden house. Ryk was a very entertaining guide! He kept it intriguing and humorous! We would definitely recommend this stop for anyone enjoying a spooky and/or historical trip to New England!

The tour was great expect that we were a family of 13 and the group total was almost 25 people. The rooms were small in the house and it made it difficult for all of us to see and hear our tour guide.

We had a great night at Lizzie Borden! We did the ghost tour, extended inside tour & ghost hunt. Our guide Ashley was amazing!! She knew everything & really showed how she cared for the building & Borden family. We look forward returning for another visit!

Ryk is a phenomenal tour guide! He presented many details & pieces of evidence that left my husband and I continuing to contemplate who really was responsible for the deaths of Andrew & Abby Borden. Awesome tour!!

This place is terrible. It was purchased by the national Ghost Adventures. company in January 2025 ( Please feel free to verify that online when you buy your tickets through their website)! It is now NOTHING like the previous reviews. Untrained guides who literally read from books and do not know the content at all! And the script is so complex, if the guides misses a sentence or a paragraph, you are lost! DO NOT waste your money. I sent a follow up email and of course, NO response.

Karen was amazingly hospitable! Our tour was informative and pleasant. We hope to come again! Thank you for keeping this place open to the public.

It was everything I had hoped for and more. Karen was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. A MUST see!

The Tour Guide Megan was so amazing! She was very informed and entertaining! I would be back again to have another tour from her!

We had such a good time, Nicole did a great job. Very informative and entertaining. One of the better historical tours I’ve been on.

What an amazing tour!!
My daughter requested this trip, it was not in my list of places to visit, but I am so glad that we did.
Our guide, Karen, was the perfect mix of knowledge, personality, and humor.
I didn’t know the story of Lizzie Borden before our visit, and now I am finding that I want to learn a lot more. My daughter would like you to go back for a nights stay… I’m not sure about that. ;)
I highly recommend paying a little extra for the basement tour, it’s worth every penny for a few extra stories, and more history of the house.
Sincerely,
Luke

We had Larry (I think is what his name was) was absolutely aw some. He had shared so many more information on the site, crime scene and trial. I was kinda hoping I guess to find out if Lizzie had killed her parents. Larry had provided so much more detail that you walk away still not knowing a whole lot. There has been so other possible playe w involved that it may have been one of th m as much as Lizzie. Thanks so mUch for the invite night and tour of the property.

What an excellent experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the fantastic tour guide’s historical explanations. Highly recommend!

The tour was very informative and thorough. The tour guide was friendly and down to earth. The cemetery where they are buried is only a few minutes as well. I would definitely recommend this adventure if you are in the area.

It was a drizzly night, which set the mood even better for a great ghost walking tour of Fall River and the ghosts that continue to wander the area. The story telling was amazing from someone that has done a lot of the research herself. Spend the extra money to go on the first floor - it’s worth it!

If you sign up for the “Lizzie Borden's Fall River Ghost Tour” you’re not allowed inside the the house without paying extra it’s just ghost tour of Fall River. The tour guide was really good.

Loved hearing the true story told during dinner. The staff all stayed in character, and did a great job. The meal was delicious. Our questions were answered & the guide was very knowledgeable. We will definitely suggest this experience to our friends!

Our tour guide, Elaina, was fantastic. She really knows her Borden lore and brought incredible energy that made the tour very entertaining. This visit was much better than our prior one in 2020. We were able to go through all the rooms this time, including many that weren’t part of the earlier tour, and even explored the basement. The house has also been updated since our last visit. The tour was longer than expected, and we definitely got our money’s worth. Overall, it was an excellent and very entertaining experience. Thank you! I still don’t know who done it!

The experience was very informative! Jay did a great job re-telling the history of the house, family, investigation, trial and hauntings!

Room decorations were amazing! Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Fantastic storytelling by Ryk! Absolutely amazing time!
A sinister walk into a twisted tale of whacks with an axe
Tour guide was great! Loved the atmosphere and the relevant staging. We learned a lot about the Borden family from the experience!
