Great access to the beach. Parking was free. Beach was clean. Canopy and chair rentals available from 9-4. Lifeguards were on duty. Showers available. Highly recommend. Will definitely visit this area again.

Two entrances off A!A and both have large parking lots. The South entrance has a fenced dog park. The beach is nice and there are restrooms, picnic pavillions and such (didn't use them). There are nature trails, didn't use, but we willl visit on a future trip,

Nice public access point to the ocean, lots of parking. Well kept park with something for everyone. Been visiting this park for over 20 years now and never once a complailnt.

Out for a walk at Cocoa Beach ,this is a nice park alog main road of cocoa Beach. Good way for kids to work off some steam . Nice plants

You can park here, for free, until dusk. Walk straight out to the beach and they have showers to wash off the sand when you're done. You ca n sit and eat at the picnic tables, as well.

It was such a nice park and beach. The bathrooms were clean and the beach was nice. I was surprised that there was no fee.

Its a park by the beach. The beach is the best thing. Take a walk along and get your feet wet. Saw dolphins in the water from the beach. Plenty of seabirds to entertain and crabs.

Great beach, umbrella/chair rental available at very reasonable rates, restrooms, outside showers, plenty of parking. Very few times have we been there when there wasn't a wedding - fun to watch.

Convenient public beach in Cocoa Bch. This is the NORTH access. Visiting family decided on this beach pros were LIFEGUARD on duty until 5pm. Snack food truck on site cash only. Bathrooms and showers on site. Umbrella rentals available and actually this is a huge plus because the Florida sun is brutal and even if you don't fear skin cancer at least think of your little ones. This review is based on going to the beach on a WEDNESDAY. Plenty of places to claim as your own in the sand. One con is be prepared to park in the west parking lot unless you want to troll the east parking lot like your early college days waiting for someone to leave. Even midweek parking filled up early but I was patient and was able to move my vehicle from the west to the east lot in a matter of hours. Also non of the relatives complained about rocks in the water which is awesome! There was a strong riptide but the Lifeguard was vigilant and warned beach goers. A few times swimmers and frolickers were ordered out of the water. Most likely due to the heavy currents and not shark sightings.

We took our two young girls here and they had a ball. No sand at the park, yay! And was close to the walking trails!

Great family centered park with direct beach access in the heart of Cocoa Beach. Super close to Ron Jon's. Must pay to park, but then again, the city must pay to keep the park so nice, so it's a fair requirement.

We stayed at a hotel next door so we could walk here. The dog park was great. The boardwalk to the beach was beautiful. Clean place. Would visit here with my dog again.

We went to Lori Wilson beach. Guarded beach, chairs and umbrellas to rent, enough people to people watch, bathrooms, shower for the end of the day and great waves.

We love this public beach because it has free parking, 2 showers, and life guards. Bathrooms always get nasty unfortunately.
New this year are chair and umbrella rentals as well as beach toys.

This is a small park/beach access area with free parking but the spaces are limited. The playground is there but there is the parking lot between it and the beach access. The bathrooms are there and a small food truck. The beach is great with clean sand and lots of families enjoying the day. Plenty of space to stretch out and play frisbee.

Stumbled on this little park while looking for the I Dream of Jeannie sign and enjoyed the beautiful views from the boardwalk. Worth a visit!

The money you save by parking free at Lori Wilson Park will buy you a tasty açai bowl or fresh gluten-free goodies, etc. at Cafe Surfinista only four minutes south of Lori Wilson Park. Take your items to go and enjoy on the beach. There are two Lori Wilson Park entrances. The larger lot then the smaller lot just south of it that also has the Lori Wilson Dog Park. Closes at dusk. Look for the big blue I Dream of Jeannie sign at the entrance. The smaller lot has restrooms, outdoor shower for rinsing as well as a picnic pavilion. Beach chairs, umbrellas, even kayaks are available for rent. Lifeguards are on duty until 5pm on a clean beach and at approx. 5:30pm on Saturdays you can see the big cruise ships that have just left Port Canaveral cross directly in front of the beach. Plenty of casual dining choices for after your beach day. There is also a Publix a block away so you can buy ice, beverages, and sandwiches for your beach picnic.

Beach access, very pretty, very clean. I got married here 6 years ago and have not been back until yesterday. It is just as pretty as it was then. Very well kept and beautiful.

We were in town before a cruise and stayed at the Hilton next door. As we don't like sitting around, we took time to explore the area. We walked to the main road and as we went down the main strip, decided to enter this park. Was very busy while we walked around but nice location overall with good beach acces.

We stopped here to see the sign for I Dream of Jeannie lane commemorating the series based in the area in the 60s. This is a nice small park on the beach.

Looked as if free parking on this site, which could change. Dog walking area and toilets. Boardwalk onto beach.

Our family parked here for the day to enjoy the beach. We didn't want to pay to park our car and this park has free parking with great access to the beach. There are beach rentals at the end of the pier on the walk from the lot to the sand. Lifeguard station was right there as well! The beach was not crowded, lifeguards were seen walking and patrolling the area. The area was clean and our family had a great time. We used the bathroom by the parking lot to change out of our wet suits. Overall a great experience!

Great location, nice beach, goes on for miles. Great sand and sea. We got an uber from the port. Everyone was so friendly. Would definitely go back.

The city, county and state of Florida has done an outstanding job of developing and preserving this green space. The parking is very good. The trails and boardwalk well maintained and exceptional. All leading to the beach and ALL FREE!
Cute sign siting “I dream of Jeannie” as the house the Major and Jeannie lived in were in Cocoa Beach. It was a wonderful afternoon outside despite the cold temps.

This was a great find! Made for a very peaceful afternoon away from all the crowds. Beautiful sand, views and the best thing is that it is free!

This could be a premiere dog park, but it's so heavily used, it needs some TLC. The dogs have dug along the fence line between the big and the small dog areas, and the anchor line has become unattached. My very rambunctious medium-sized dog could have easily "gone under" with one determined push. The ground is "Florida sand" - very loose and dogs can dig big holes very quickly.
The toys and pools are a great bonus, but they need to be replaced. I understand dogs are hard on these things, but they are chewed up and some have sharp, ragged edges.
Parking is ample. This is a very popular park, can get very crowded.

Wonderful beach & picnic area - there is also an Oak Hammock walk that is a wonderful nature boardwalk

What a great place to park and have access to the beach. It is free to park. Bathrooms to use (which weren’t the cleanest but I have seen worse). Easy access to the ocean with lots of space to spread out. It had amenities that other places don’t have. Lots of parking but we have had trouble finding space during certain times of the year. Worth using access if you can find a parking spot.

We drove over from Orlando one day during our Disney trip to visit Cocoa Beach. It was not very crowded, has free parking, a nice playground, clean restrooms, an outdoor shower, and nice beach access. Bring food or snacks with you and you are set to enjoy the beach in a more natural setting without development while still having access to important facilitles for the family!

Beach Accesible. . .parking.....clean sunny space....almost no shade....spacious for children to run around.

Lori Wilson Park is a place where you can park your car for free. It has a dog park, a kiddie playground , parking, bathrooms and a shower for you to rinse of once you are finished with your activities. Once you park you are a short walking distance away from the beach.

Easy place with life guard on duty to enjoy cocoa beach. Plus the parking lot is on I Dream of Jeannie Lane, which is just a nice bonus.

This is a great park with a fenced off dog park with 3 sections.
If you are going to the beach come early as the parking get full quick. It is a bit of a hike to the beach so bring a cart. This also has facilities for changing too.

The bathrooms are disgusting. Feces everywhere, over flowing trash, wet clumps of toilet paper, the stalls need to be power washed.

Nothing spectacular, but a nice clean park with great beach access. We did the trail...again nothing to rave about but something to get away from the sun. A shame it's not bigger. It allows you a glimpse of how the area may have looked years ago.

Lori Wilson is a public park located in Cocoa Beach. Great beach, small hiking trail and restrooms. This park also has a small food stand adjacent to the parking lot. Jolly Chriss

Great beach with free parking that has bathrooms and showers but there is more. There is a nature walk the connects the two sides of the parking lot and a play ground for the kids. Picnic areas ensure you can spend the day outdoors even when if you aren't a "beach person".

We stopped here for one reason only and that was to take a photo of my friend under the I Dream of Jeannie sign! It’s located at the entrance of this park.
It was about 5 pm and the parking area is quite a walk from the entrance and it was not at all busy so we just turned around and my husband kept the car running as we ran up to the sign for a photo!
If you’re around the area it’s something to say you’ve seen!

I walked here from my hotel. It was a nice resting place to watch the sunrise. You can also drive to it and enjoy the park.

Ditto all of the other reviews that highly recommend this park. I am physically limited so truly appreciated the chance to walk out to the edge of deep sand via a boardwalk that's not far from handicapped parking.
I also want to add that the foot shower is a nice touch since few beaches offer the chance to fully wash off sand after the beach.

Free parking with beach access! You don't need to stay at hotel on beach to enjoy it. Close to everything and easy to find.

We saw from across the street of our hotel. So we thought we will go check it out. Glad we did. There is nature trails and picnic tables some with grills. We walked down to the beach and hung out for a little while. Since there was rip tide warnings we did not go in the water but really enjoyed the park.

Beautiful beach! They had chairs and umbrellas to rent. Because it is on the Atlantic side of Florida. People were actually surfing that day. Really nice beach and clean!

The beach here is wonderful! Lots of sand and very little rock. It was a little crowded, but we had a great day!

I have been here many times and love this beach. Plenty of free parking, clean bathrooms and indoor and outdoor showers and easy access to the beach. Highly recomment the Lori Wilson Park.

We loved Lori Wilson Park on Cocoa Beach. Plenty of free parking. The bathrooms had an outdoor shower to rinse off before going home. A short walk to the beach. Umbrellas, lounge chairs, and boogy boards were available to rent and they even set them up for you! We will definately return.

very easy place to exercise and enjoy the nature along the way. enjoy the river views or the small pond with alligators, turtles, and ducks. Very enjpyable place to take a morning or evening stroll

I'm so glad I researched before we arrived in Cocoa Beach! Traveling with 2 kids means you need to be close to bathrooms and food, and this park delivered. Park free, short walk to the water, HUGE expansive Beach area, and restrooms with outdoor showers. My son rented a surfboard (boogie board we're also available) and my daughter enjoyed finding shells, crabs, and building sandcastles. The bathrooms are very basic but it's what you would expect at a beach IMO. We were grateful for the huge umbrella we brought along as well.
You're also very close to plenty of shops and restaurants (Ron Jon!)
All in all a great place to visit a beautiful beach!

The beachfront at Lori Wilson is great- sand is white and soft. The boardwalks for walking through the trails are in poor condition and some areas are closed altogether. It’s too bad-a great resource.

By far the best beach that is Free at Cocoa Beach. Sand is b and beautiful and the waves make it a lot of fun to enjoy kick boarding and paddle boarding. We go here each time we go to Cocoa Beach!

Spent Memorial Day here at this park that includes a beach. Beautiful day. Park is nice. Has outdoor showers and restrooms.
Could use changing rooms though. A few more showers too. Lots of seaweed on the beach.
The park area was nice. The park needs more dumpsters the three of them were overflowing.
The beach was fairly clear of trash. There are several nice picnic tables which are in good shape.
We enjoyed our visit and will be back.

easy to find and good access to the beach. it is small so get there early to find parking. we were on the north side. there may be a larger part to the park on the south entrance but the north side has parking for just about 100 cars if that. bathroom facilities are available. has a playground for kids.

This is a very large park with a lifeguard on the beach. There are picnic tables as well as bathrooms and showers across the street. It's spotless and beautifully maintained.

This a very nice public access and park. We enjoyed the beach throughout the morning then a picnic lunch at the pavilion.

Love it . Always some here . Easy parking , free , easy access to beach .
Toilet facilities
Chilled atmosphere .

My hubby was in Orlando for business so I tagged along and headed to the beach. It only took about an hour to get there. This park is very easy to find and since it's off season there was no problem finding parking though it filled up by the time I left.
It's a nice big beach and gently sloped, I didn't see any drop-offs in the water and many people were in a ways and still only up to their waists.
I loved being able to rent a chaise lounge chair for only $10 for the day, umbrellas are also available from Island Beach Rentals. Skylar was the nice young man setting everything up, he works hard and deserves a tip!
The restroom was fine, what you may expect at a park, 3 stalls in the women's restroom.
If I ever find myself back in Cocoa Beach I'd definitely come back to Lori Wilson Park Beach!

We made a day trip from Orlando and were looking for a quieter beach in Cocoa Beach. This was a great beach. It's not large so it's very crowded but the sand is clean and nice. There are a scattering of shells to collect. The waves were nice and made swimming fun. There's a restroom not far away and parking isn't too far. There is very limited parking so go early.

If you like the ocean you can enjoy the cocoa beach from this park, and if you like quiet trails in Florida vegetation this park has a little trail that is going to make you feel the primitive Florida the vegetation and the quietness is amazing.

Beautiful is an understatement . We went for our Anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Water was clear and clean , beach was clean .

Wonderful place with free parking and you can get to the beach quickly. You walk along a kind of boardwalk through the bushes, we didn't see any toilets. If you want shade you have to bring your own umbrellas etc. It was nice that there was very little going on. Wonderful place to enjoy a few hours of sun, beach and sea

we took a visitor here when they came to cocoa beach. we had a wonderful walk, several hours on the beach and in the "forest." we actually got lost for a while, it was so big.

This park was a great find. We were able to park and change clothes in the restrooms and walk to the beach. They had fresh water showers, although those had very little water pressure. But they were still helpful getting sand off my daughter. They also had a small concession stand for drinks and food as well. The beach has lifeguards on duty which is also nice to have available.

Great beach to visit and there is a dog park there as well (not on the beach though). Ample parking and long wide beach

Very nice park with public access to Cocoa Beach. This park has a good boardwalk with natural vegetation, beautiful flowers and places to sit along the trail. There are picnic tables and restroom facilities. If you're a "I Dream of Jeannie" fan, you can get your picture taken in front of the street sign. There is also a dog park there. The area is much less crowded and not as noisy as by the pier.

Easy access to beach from free parking lot. Not too crowded and lifeguards on duty. Beach chairs with umbrella reasonable rates $20 per day.

One of my favorite Brevard County beaches!!! I spend all afternoon there and nobody ever sits right on top of me. Best part is watching the ice cream man go by with the cart!!!

Great place to sit and read a book, look at the waves, watch the pelicans and osprey fish in the surf. Very peaceful. Nothing spectacular to "see" along the boardwalks (no signage, no gators), but wonderful that this little space of natural land has been preserved.

Great place to take the family. There are pavilions, picnic tables, bathrooms and playground equipment for the children plus a short walk takes you to the beach. There was no charge for parking or day use. Hidden gem!

Good beach with lifeguard on duty and beach rentals. Free parking. Decent facilities (outdoor shower and restrooms with changing area).

This public park offers abundant free parking, convenient access to the beach, and a spacious dog park. Located just south of the Ron Jon's complex this is a convenient spot to give Fido a break and some much needed exercise. Separately accommodates large and small dogs. Plenty of seating for owners and water bowls for the pets. Kudos to Cocoa and Brevard for providing this much needed amenity.

We love this rather large dog park! Separate areas for dogs over and under 20 lbs. Large play area with plenty of water bowls and a few toys. We used the small dog section and there was a hose you could fill water bottles or play in, there was a small pool for the pups that you could fill up and plenty of seating and shade for human comfort. :) Great place to take the pups!

Wish I knew the history of Lori Wilson, this park has been here for 47 years that I can vouch for. Its free and open to the public, lots of parking. There are other nearby public beach access but the City of Cocoa Beach now has parking meters on the parking spots. Not so, at least for the time being, at Lori Wilson. The boardwalk, actually 3 of them from the parking area) lead out to the beach, but on the way you go through a dense tree line that provides a nice transition to the beach itself, which has a wide area of sand dunes and sea oats before setting foot on the actual beach itself, which also is very wide. Just glad that Lori Wilson and/or the city fathers had the foresight to preserve this section for the public to use.

I don't have a dog but I know many travelers do. I just go use it it is a very quick walk to the beach and has a rest room as well.

This is a good place from which to enjoy watching surfers and ocean gazing. The restrooms are very clean, and parking is free, but the parking lots does fill up. It's an easy walk.

Free parking, accessible restrooms, and an area to donate beach toys/recycle! My family love that there were so many sea shells!!!

There was ample free parking and the beach was a short walk away. There was plenty of room at the beach and it appeared to be well maintained. I didn't see a shower station which would have come in handy.

This is a no frills dog park that both locals and tourists can enjoy. There is a separate entrance to get your dog acclimated and take them off of the leash. There are two separate areas for big dogs and small dogs. All dogs are welcome and you will see a variety. Some people even chose to let their more active small dogs play with the big dogs. There is a restroom nearby. There is a hose for water. This is cocoa beach, we are laid back and take care of each other’s dogs. After the dog park there is a great pub, called the pig and whistle, (down the street) where you can bring your dog to the outside patio and have a beer. They have water bowls for your pup.

We enjoy coming here because there are less crowds than Cocoa Beach and the area is much nicer. Free parking and bathroom facilities are great.

We loved the access to the beach, toilets, convince store in walking distance and LOVED the picnic shelters.

The beach here is nice. It remains shallow for a good distance for easy wading. There is a company doing beach rentals (umbrellas and chairs) at this location. Parking is free, but limited, and fills up fast. There is an outdoor faucet for rinsing off. The life guards work from this location so there is plenty of coverage. You will have to avoid turtle nests part of the year.

The beach are was great, and parking is free. The only reason for the low review was the men's room was basically unusable. The only urinal was plugged and contaminated water was flowing everywhere. Both sinks and one toilet completely plugged-but water-very contaminated water (trying not to overshare) still flowing everywhere. After making like 6 calls, I got in touch with a woman who was very aware of it, and indicated that there was an issue, and the County was seeking plumbing bids to see if they could get it fixed. I indicated that this was a very active situation, and as far as we could tell, this is the only bathroom at the park. Anywhere else, this would have been treated as an emergency plumbing situation, and in my opinion, the bathroom should have been closed for health reasons. At the very least, with the amount of traffic at the park, there should have been action taken to get a few port-a-potties on site so people could still have a place to go to the bathroom. This park is managed by the County board of Tourism, not the City of Cocoa Beach.

Nice park glad to see something dedicated to Barbara Eden. It was a nice little park. This was one of my favorite shows.

This is one of the few forrest canopies untouched by urban sprawl. Never walked through the woods without seeing animals enjoying the natural habitat. The beach would be pristine if not for all of the trash left by the litters.

Boardwalk needs repair. Many places almost dangerous. Nice place. Pretty busy on beach. Was an OK place

It is clean, free and sometimes crowded in the summer months. But we love this beach. They have life guards on duty. The sands are on rocky.

We try to get to the beach on at least one occasion when we visit Orlando for the parks. Toilet facilities are basic but ok, also a shower pole for getting rid of the sand before going back to your car. Car park tends to be well used so feels safe to use. Walkway to the beach, we have taken some good photos from here over the years but this time appeared to be in a slight state of disrepair. If you are taking a plunge life guards are on duty as the sea can sometimes be a bit choppy.
We tend to take frozen bottles of water with us so we have a cool drink returning to the car. Nice change from the parks. If you want , after the beach you could also try your hand at a little fishing from cocoa beach pier. Price of parking gives you admission to the pier and you rent a fishing rod with bait.

Clean park easy access park with connected dog park. Even the trash cans are painted with beautiful ocean murals.

While there are definitely more "fun" areas in Cocoa Beach (next to Coconuts or by the Pier), my family and I prefer to come to Lori Wilson Park to access the beach. If you get there early enough (we typically arrive by 9 a.m.), you can find lots of parking that leaves you within steps to the dunes, then to the beach. The location is also near a lifeguard tower which is reassuring with small children. The park itself has a small playground, outdoor showers to rinse the sand off, and a clean and well maintained bathroom. If you're looking for a quiet beach location or a family friendly spot, I would highly recommend this. Oh, and the parking is free, which is sometimes tough to find in a beach town!

This is a very interesting park. We went in not knowing what to expect but is worth walking through! There are many little critters running around to see!

We were staying in Orlando and wanted a day at the beach but did not want to spend a lot of time in the car to get there. This was perfect! It took just over an hour drive (70 minutes to be exact) to get there. Make sure you bring money for tolls, as we spent about $6-7 dollars each way. The Lori Wilson park is free, as is the parking, but you might want to bring $10-15 for umbrella/ chair rental if you don't have your own. The beach is beautiful and not overcrowded. Great for all but very good beach for families. Lots of beach to walk and soft sand. Make sure you pack all you need for the day, as there are no shops at the park, but if you forgot something, there are plenty of shops in town just a short drive from the park access.

Free place to park and enjoy the beach, restrooms also in the parking lot and a place to shower off a little before leaving, umbrellas and chairs at the beach for rent.

Fun, fun, fun and don't have to pay the $15 entrance fee. Life guard on duty clean and bathrooms near by

This area has rentals of beach chairs and umbrellas for $20 per day. There is a chance to borrow beach toys for the children from the container on the board walk. The sand is perfect for beach play of all kinds. The washrooms are dated but functional. A nice spot to spend a day or an afternoon.

The beach and parking were great and overall the area was clean. As other have commented the restrooms need attention but considering it’s free you get what you pay for.

Our first trip to Cocoa Beach we wanted easy access to the beach. This park hits all the marks. Ample free parking. Restrooms and showers. Boardwalk. Trash cans. Clean beach. We even saw a rocket launch from the beach!

It’s alright for parking and beach access, but for a park it’s a lost cause. The boardwalks are falling apart, and a large part of them are closed off. It’s a real shame how little regard the general public have for their parks. At one picnic pavilion where there was a large trash receptacle present, trash and garbage were just thrown over the railing into the adjacent vegetation. It’s sad to see this sort of thing!

I really wanted to see the I Dream of Jeannie Lane sign (not sure what I was expecting, but oh well, nostalgic!) so I walked down from our VRBO and enjoyed the sign and the beautiful walk in the park! The best part was the food truck parked in the lot, I wasn't expecting much but WOE! WHAT A GREAT IDEA!! DEFINITELY recommend a walk in this park or even a picnic!

There IS public parking but it FILLS UP FAST--plan to arrive early and/or wait for a parking spot. There ARE public bathrooms/showers but we never used them (we were renting an AirBNB across the street). There ARE umbrellas and chairs/etc to rent as well as paddleboards, surfboards, etc, etc but we didn't rent these either.
The beach IS nice. It's the only 'non-resort spot' in a long line of hotels so it's not consistently busy. It's obviously more crowded on the weekends when locals are off work but very nice on the weekdays when few vacationers are around (and we were there in middle of March, so during 'spring break').
Some reviews on this site mention it being a 'nature walk', etc but there's really no 'walk' space. There's a grassy section where people can relax or throw a frisbee and there's a beach. That's your nature. You'll see osprey and pelicans and a random squirrels or lizard but that's about it. We did see some dolphins off shore and i'm sure there are turtle nests at some point.
it's a nice PARK and BEACH. We had a great time there, but don't expect more than that.

While the series was filmed in California, there's a street at this beach park commemorating the series that was set in Cocoa Beach and dedicated when Barbara Eden visited some years ago, it's a 2 minute stop but worth the photo opp!

Nice quiet beach with dog park area on one side of beach. We sat in the dog area
and chatted with various dog owners. Great day at the beach!

As we were looking for I Dream of Jeannie Lane, we stumbled upon this little gem. It's a nice beach without many people (at least when we were there). There is plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Clean and safe.

Wide open area with things for the kids and picnic benches. Great place to go and take in the views.

pros
Clean room
Comfy beds
Friendly staff
Excellent breakfast
Cons
Housekeepers to loud
Stairwell doors slam shut
No jacuzzi
Pillows need replaced

What a beautiful beach to visit while Florida. We went prepared with beach towels; however, there is a stand to purchase chairs, umbrellas, water toys etc. Also the guys working the rental shed were super nice, helpful and friendly. They gave great suggestions on dining in the area.
The water was great for a boogie board as the waves were plentiful.
The beach had lots of shells and was meant to be walked. Simply peaceful and beautiful.

This is a great park with free parking and beach access. Also while you are there you can take a walk down "I Dream of Jeanie Drive"

We really enjoyed the access to the beach for the morning rocket launch on 20 December, and the time spent at Sandbar next door.

Arrived at 3:30 and umbrella and chair rentals close at 4pm so we sat on the sand. This park has a decent sized parking lot with outdoor shower. About 2 min walk to the water. Waves were not too big. Very few shells around but some seaweed. Not much interest for beach combers, but the sand and water were nice. Very clean beach and not crowded. There was a shaved ice truck on the side. I’d return to this location next time we’re in cocoa beach. About 2 min drive from Ron Jon’s. It was difficult getting the kids to come out of the water when we wanted to leave.

Our dogs was suppose to have a place to play that was fenced in, but it was no where in sight when we arrived. We had to go a little down the road to park and had to pay to get our dogs on the beach

This park with access to Coco Beach was suggested in a review and we were very pleased. Parking was free and open to the public and not packed at all. The park was clean and well-maintained. The boardwalk to the beach was easily accessible. There is a playground and dog park (depending on which part of the park you go to). It was definitely the highlight of our trip to the ocean. We will certainly use this park and its beach access next time we visit Coco Beach.

This is a wonderful area of Cocoa Beach. The park was pretty with easy beach access and nature trails that were family friendly. The restrooms and showers were nice too. Beach chair and umbrella rentals were reasonable. The beach is rocky so make sure you have practoical shoes for this

Not much here but loads of free parking.
Walked through here as I was a staying about half a mile away. Not much to see. Small playground for kids and an abundance of free parking. Access to the beach.
However, I was drivIng past with my family about an hour later when all I could describe that there were two people being intimate. A bit too intimate.
I don't know if this area is known for this behaviour but be wary if with kids.
Otherwise, fill your boots with the free parking. The beach is lovely and the water great for body boarding.

We just love this park! We ended up here in May when Cocoa Beach was sort of closed to outsiders. We parked here again Sunday morning to run the Cocoa Beach 10K, it was the perfect spot. We used the facilities that morning, unfortunately, they were very dirty. I guess you kind of expect that, since it is right there at the beach, but there was no soap UGH. Again, great park for access to the beach.

Nice Park, easy access to the water. Free Parking! There is a beach concession you can rent chairs and umbrellas from.

Great beach! Beaches were clean, there were places to rent umbrellas and chairs from (and boards too I think), and life guards on duty! Free to enter too! Ron Jon Store close by and plenty of food options nearby! Will def return!

Nice quiet beach with clean sand, wind surfers, swimming, and shelling. Nearby facilities, beach area was not crowded plenty of room

Potentially nice park on the beach especially for boarders (good waves) . There is a functional boardwalk along the beach side and nearby parking. Disappointing for birders though because boardwalk through the park is still under repair.

Great place for beach access! Cocoa Beach is all the same stretch of beach.
This spot is just south of the cocoa Beach pier.
So a short walk and back makes a nice sunset stroll.
Parking and facilities are nice and well kept.

Lori Wilson Park is a great place to access Cocoa Beach!
Free parking, free showers and bathrooms.
We got there around 10am and the parking lot was almost empty. It is a two-minute easy walk to the beach. There is a guy who rents chairs, umbrellas and boards. He also has free beach toys for the kids. We paid $20 for two chairs and an umbrella. And $20 for a kids' board for the day. I would recommend bringing your own food as I did not see any vendors in the area.
The beach was nice and clean. The water was shallow, but the waves were big enough to have fun. A perfect beach for kids!
The bathroom is not the cleanest, but it does the job!
We drove from Kissimmee (1 hour) and had a great day!

The ice cream vendor is extremely rude. At $4 a pop for ice cream he should be kissing our feet! He does not put items in hand. He slams them on his counter and pushes them to you. It’s sad really.

Nice park with free parking and access to the beach. There are public restrooms, some picnic shelters and a children's playground.

Please do some maintenance on the bathrooms. Seriously it has really gone down hill. Busted toilet, no soap, no paper. The access has always been good and because of a lack of options I'm sure we'll go again.

Beautiful beach area; however, the boardwalk walkthrus are in need of repair...only one of 4 were open for use.
Clean bathrooms!

The bathrooms are really gross. Need to be deep cleaned and then maintained. One of the three toilets in the women's bathroom was not flushing today. So nasty.

Little bit of old coastline with oak hammock is worth the time to take a stroll. And the beachfront is beautiful, has a rest room and plenty of covered tables. There is a lifeguard station and lifeguards working the beach (seasonal, I beleive). Picnic, surf, good for the little ones too. Has a couple shower stations to get all the sand from between your toes.

This is a fabulous location. Great, close parking. Bathrooms on site. Short walk to the beach. Just perfect. Keep it a secret! :)

Gorgeous quiet beach. Lots of natural fauna. Clean restrooms. Definitely want to go back. Loved cocoa beach in general. Was my first time there

A great place for a stroll on a boardwalk through the preserves. Great for birders and photographers and even a separate dog park. Boardwalk continues to the beach where it's a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. We also watched a shuttle take off from Cape Canaveral. Free parking!

We were staying at a nearby hotel and after cruising through the very congested area near the pier, were more than happy to visit a less crowded beach. The parking area on I Dream of Jeannie Drive is sizeable and it's only a short walk to the beach (it only seems longer when you're hauling umbrellas, chairs, etc.) The bathrooms are about as clean as can be expected at a public facility near the ocean (and are miles better than what we've encountered at other beaches.) It would be nice if the rinse-off showers had a little more water pressure or volume, but at least they work! We weren't quite prepared for the amount of undertow we encountered, but were able to enjoy enough time in the water.

Was not crowded during our visit, had free parking, a place to rinse the sand off your feet and lifeguards during the day.

nice boardwalk - supervised by police - restroom - worth the visit - nice little walk - well maintained

Convenient for parking and access to Cocoa Beach. Restroom facilities are clean and useful showers for washing off sand.

We were able to snag a free parking spot on a Saturday with a little patience. Beach was busy but not overwhelming. We rented chairs and an umbrella that was already set up. Lots of shells in the water. We appreciated the shower and bathroom at the entrance when we were done. The “Jungle” trail to the beach is really just a bridge but it is beautiful for the few seconds it lasted. We did not see any turtle nests marked off on the beach.

The BEACH, great picnic pavilion, playground, plenty of parking, showers and restrooms, but the BEACH is the main attraction and it is all free.

We were looking for walking trails but this is not it. most of the paths were closed off. the paths that were open all lead to the beach. It has potential but needs to have more extensive walking paths.

Good place to park (free) next to the beach. Easy to walk to beach and safe parking, good safe swimming with lifeguard.

Easy access free parking, clean beach with areas marked off where there were sea turtle nests. It is a county park so there are life guards on duty. Great Place to sit and watch the cruise ships leave. They do rent umbrellas and chairs. Shower to rinse off sand in parking lot.

I went around Oct. last yr. (a month or two after the hurricane). So there weren't a lot of people. Nice long beach, sandy, and clean. The bathroom was clean too. The best part is that it's free and plenty of parking. Friendly people.

We were very excited to see the water—so beautiful! However, the bathroom facilities were pretty filthy, and there’s only one hosing off station (needs to be at least one more). Then down by the water, there was a LOT of seaweed. You couldn’t get to the turquoise water without going through the seaweed. It got in our hair and our swimsuit, and since we were visiting from Orlando, we didn’t have anywhere to really shower and clean off. The bathroom floors had seaweed all over the floor by mid-afternoon. I will say on a positive note, the parking was free, and the view was amazing! The waves were great and it really is a great beach. I’m not sure if the seaweed is just temporary??
On an interesting note, the lifeguards cleared the water because there was a shark sighting. They let people cautiously get in after 30 minutes.

The beach and the park area was nasty. We followed the reviews and were extremely disappointed! The bathrooms were also nasty.

This park was just a short drive for our lodging. Had a great walkways to the beach. Plenty of parking and a restroom. Stopped here several times.

During a recent trip to Orlando, we took a day trip to Cocoa beach. It is a 1 1//2 hour drive. Lori Wilson park provides free parking and easy access to the beach. Skylar took care of us with two beach chairs and an umbrella at a reasonable price. We were next to a life guard station. The beach provided a great view of the ocean. Pack a lunch and drinks then enjoy a great day on the beach. The park's restrooms and parking lot were dirty and unkept.

Visited this beach while in vacation with my parents, very nice beach very impressive. I hope to return some day

Looking for a place to do some walking and check out nature. The trail is a surprisingly wild patch of local plants amid the highly traveled and commercial area. It weaves in and around native trees. At mid day it may not be so likely to see active wildlife but small lizards were busy trying to mate. The biggest butterfly (or was it a giant moth?) was dusting a flowering bush. The walkway is old wood that's weathered. Wearing anything with heels isn't recommended.
The loop is about 1/4 mile if you make the whole loop.

Great place in Cancun!!! Must try and great menu selection. But you have to try the lobster. Here you get to pick your own, this one was about five pounds.

Beautiful park and great facilities.
We were here on Easter Sunday hoping to catch an event with Dogs surf boarding but the waves were too big.
Love the board walks and access to the beach.

Pros: close to Orlando, umbrella/chairs + board rentals. Washrooms (relatively clean) and showers on site. Free parking close by. Cons: only 2 showers, very long lineups. No food/drink available for purchase.

Lori Wilson park offers free parking with beach access to a nice beach with large sand dunes and a boardwalk with small shelters(which came in handy when it decided to rain while we were there). Also has a nice nature trail on a boardwalk through a wildlife refuge area. We noticed a large picnic shelter too.

Experienced wonderful worship time with scores of fellow believers on the beach Easter morning. Calvery church orgainzed and lead a faithful worship service.
Grounds are well kept, sand is clean, restrooms were clean, boardwalk affords good accessabilty to those less mobile and some vendors present to meet your gastro needs.
Lots of handicap parking for the park size. Regular parking can run dry on a busy day.
In my opinion, it needs more picnic tables and charcoal grills.

Was on vacation and had the family dog w us. Got to go the the park in the morning and let my pooch run like crazy. They have two large fenced areas... one for dogs less than 25 and the other for 25lbs plus. Park was nice and has a very large area for the bigger dogs. Each side has many places for humans to sit in the shade too. Went on a weekday and tons of parking, which might not be the case on a weekend as this is a very popular beach access.

The park is basic, a few children toys and a small lawn but it has a decent amount of parking and good, easy beach access. The beach is never overly crowded in this section and its not as loud as the areas down towards Cocoa Beach Village, where more bars and other establishments make it a less relaxing place.

This park as plenty of parking (as long as you get here before 11am), restrooms, and showers to rinse off. Depending on the season, there will be chairs and umbrellas to rent, a food truck, and lifeguards. I went here for a weekend in August and it was getting packed by 11am. It was tight but not everyone on top of each other. It is only an hour from IDrive which makes it a quick spot for a beach trip.

We were here in August and on weekdays the two times we went. Easy free parking and a short walk to the beach. We did not use the restrooms as they were on the other side of the lot and we had read some unfavorable reviews! The beach was very clean. The lifeguards were vigilant. You could rent umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. right on the beach and prices were reasonable. There was a shower at the edge of the lot to rinse off before youeft, but only 1 so there could be a line! Overall, a great experience both times.

I stayed near the park and walked the park's beach. It was wonderfully clean, not highly populated. What a wonderful place.

1.5 yrs ago I wrote that the boardwalk from the car park to the beach was in need of an update/renovation. Last week I visited it again and I am sorry to say that the situation has got worse, really worse. In so many words: do not step on the boardwalk without proper shoes. Be advised!
'Flip-flops' are not enough to protect you from splinters in your feed. A lady walking in front of me got an inch long splinter in her foot, directly between the flip-flop and her foot. Personally, I would not carefully guide young children when walking the boardwalk.
The beach itself is brilliant and really nice, though. I gave it a 2-point rating to emphasise the urgency of a better boardwalk. The beach itself is a 5-point attraction.

Living near Orlando, Cocoa Beach is the closest and easily accessible beach. Lori Wilson is usually quite crowed, especially on weekends so get there early to get a parking spot. Beach is generally clean, quiet, families, couples, kids, surfers...your all.around basic no frills beach. Bathrooms are usually a bit disgusting...😱

This is a super little park. It has only a gazebo and little walking path to the water. It was not busy at all. only a handful of people visited off and on while I watched the manatees. I saw several manatees and 3 dolphins. The manatees were very curious of me.

So thankful there were canopy and lounge chair rentals on the beach. Beach was clean. Lifeguards on duty.

The beach was extremely wavy when we were there and my 5 year old had a hard time staying standing and the sand gets so hot it burns your feet. Also, due to how many shells are at the beginning of the water I would recommend using water shoes for the little ones especially. Those shells sliced up my feet and the waves knocked up down. It was a nice beach just a very hot day. Don’t forget sunscreen and water.

Free safe parking while exploring Cocoa Beach. Short walk to the beach, clean bath houses, and clean beach access. Rentals available for boogie boards, etc.

We were staying at Disney’s All Star Resort and needed a day away. So we traveled to Cocoa Beach and followed the Trip Advisor recommendations to hit the beach at Lori Wilson Park. It worked awesome! Lots of seaweed though. Rentals available. Rinse showers, bathroom, and parking was all free!

We seen many reviews on the park and decided to go. Bathrooms were nasty and outdoor showers had horrible pressure. The walkway is blocked so we couldn’t walk the path that everyone had gave great reviews on. The only thing good is the walkway to the beach is open and parking is free so if you want to park free and enjoy the beach it would be worth it.

It was such a nice surprise to find umbrella and chair set up for only $20! Such a great deal for all day use. Free parking, clean and totally family friendly! Can't wait to return!

Very nice area either for beach or to park your car and ride a bike from that as your starting point , I hope to make it to their I Dream of Jeannie talent contest .

Filthy bathrooms, showers that did not work (all but one control button worked), very soft wood on beach access walkway. Not maintained at all!

Parking was free, clean area and walking to the beach was easy. Best kept secret! lol The beach was beautiful, and not crowded. One could get away from screaming kids and enjoy quiet.

It was a great option. No hassle and free of cost. Very close to the beach and even had restrooms and water to wash your feet before going!

We visited this park or a couple hours, it has nice beach access, and a rinse off area, playground as well. There was a lot of visitors to this area, seemed to frequented by tour groups the day we went.

We enjoyed our visit. We used this park to access Cocoa beach. We loved the beach. The park was ok for us. Bonus it had a washroom but it was not very clean and I am being nice by that statement. I appreciated that it was free and you can’t beat that. We manly used it for parking. We took valuables with us as there were signs to lock vehicle, etc, luckily we had no issues.. enjoyed our visit and would return.

Walk to the beach through this park for a fun day if the weather is good!
(words added to fulfill minimum)

For this area if the country, this is a great beach!
The Lori Wilson Park is a great access to the beach
The only black mark is the dirty public washrooms
The beach is very long, very wide, fairly clean and this time of year the water is warm enough to swim in.
The sand is peppery not white
Our day at the beach was fairly cool because of the wind.
If you want a hot beach with nice sand, you’ll have to go to the Caribbean...
It was worth the visit

Great beach access. There were 3-4 outdoor showers, bathrooms, and picnic benches. There are also picnic areas at the front with more parking. We felt safe leaving our car parked in the parking lot.

What an awesome place to visit to wash away your stress. So peaceful and beautiful. This is a must stop and the price is right! Wahoo!

This small but quite cute and quiet park is set within hustling area of a well known tourist area. The serenity and uniqueness make it an enjoyable place to stop at and not only take a break but also take in the beauty of the nature and florals surrounding the area. Even bring your pet to roam around in secured area.

Nice beach area with beautiful sand. Bathrooms and chair/umbrella rentals available as well as a small snack bar.

Great place to unwind after Disney World days. The beach was clean, not too busy and had a life guard. We were able to rent umbrellas and chairs for a decent price from a very nice young man and were about an hour away from our rental. We would definitely return 🌞

Went to Disney World and then started driving to the coast for some beach time. Didn’t know where we would end up and we ran into this park with beach access. This place is super nice and chill. A great spot for families. Beach was super clean and awesome place to relax after going hard at Disney. This will be our go to spot when we come back for sure!

As always, this place will deliver on the bare essentials. Showers, toilets, snacks and a parking spot that’s free!

Lots of room for your rig, plenty of picnic tables to bbq meals, public washrooms, boardwalk to beach is wide and sturdy, this beach is well worth your visit

We often go to Orlando so we decided on a drive towards the east coast . Easy drive . A little over an hour depending on where you are staying in Orlando . This is a nice small park with bathroom facilities. There was a “ food truck “ there that sold sno cones and basic foods ( hot dogs , nachos etc ) . There is an outside shower to rinse off . There are lifeguards on the beach . Lots of kids / families. Next door is a Hilton where you could walk over and get food / drinks at an outside restaurant/ bar . I would only suggest to get there early . There isn’t a lot of parking and the lot filled up quickly .

Ran over on Friday afternoon while my husband was at a convention in Orlando. It was a really easy drive to Cocoa Beach from International Drive. Wonderful peaceful park. The beach was clean, the chair/umbrella was $10 for an hour $20/day. I think parking at Lori Wilson fills up by noon because when I left at 1:00 people were asking for my parking spot. The decking and the vegetation around it is in need of a little maintenance. Overall, I thought it was great.

We found this beach while trying to get away from the crowds up at Cocoa Beach. A great beach, but I will warn you to bring swim shoes. THere are tons of shells everywhere. Cool but also could be painful to the little ones.

This beach was close to our hotel so we didn't have far to go for fireworks. The beach was crowed because of fireworks but family friendly.

This is one of the best places for clean waves during good surf in Cocoa Beach. It's not rocky and is a good break..

We love Lori Wilson Park, and have parked there for years. I love the real bathrooms in addition to the foot wash stations.

Free parking and outdoor showers were very nice. The bathrooms could use some work, but still a very lovely beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas for rent for $20, but they take them away at 4pm so it seemed very pricey. We had a great time! I loved there was a free spot to park so we could enjoy the beach for the day. This was just a day trip for us since our hotel was in Orlando.

We visited this beach twice while staying in Orlando (about 60 minutes away). Was a great experience with our 2 kids (8 and 11 years). Beach is full of families and very clean. Lost of space and great sand for castles. Beach has a shallow entry making it very safe for kids. The waves were a lot of fun - steady and big enough for boogie boarding / surfing but not at all dangerous. Life guard on site and city run rentals for chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and surfboards. at reasonable prices. No other shops / food on site so you will need to pick it up before you come.

We recommend Lori Wilson Park, Cocoa Beach, FL. Nice beach with bathrooms. We enjoyed the beach. The Atlantic Ocean is cool in February, but it was a hot humid day and the water was a nice way to cool off.

Great to wander early ev3ning when not quite so hot. Good for couples and families. Really enjoyed it

Nice smallish park with sturdy playground equipment. Plenty of parking. No shade, so choose your times

This was our families first time to Cocoa Beach area and after searching trip advisor we decided to go with Lori Wilson Park and we were not disappointed! We have teen girls and they enjoyed playing in the waves all afternoon. The park is clean, great lounge chairs with umbrellas to rent for$20.00 a day. The parking was free. We got there at 11:30 AM and had no trouble finding a spot. Nice food truck that serves shaved ice cups $1.00 for a small great way to end your day!! Thanks Trip Advisor and all those who left reviews, we will be back!

Good access to the beach with free parking. Facilities need a little up dating. Board walks and railings are in need of some patching and repair. They are all quite weathered. Stopped by about 4 years ago and took the walk through the Canopy. A board walk through a virtual jungle. Once in the Canopy it is jungle, no sound of the surf at the beach or any sound of the traffic on A1A. Beautiful place. But again the board walk is in need of repair. Be careful of loose boards and protruding nails. Could be the result of the recent hurricane. Still worth the trip.

We were in town for a long weekend of sightseeing; one of the attractions that caught our attention was Lori Wilson Park, "a picturesque retreat with a beach." Located along a busy stretch of N. Atlantic Ave., in Cocoa Beach, this park is an oasis once you arrive. The park features a clean public restroom, picnic tables, a dog park where many dog owners were gathered on a Saturday morning and lots of free parking.
The park features a "I Dream of Jeannie Way" street sign dating from the television sitcom starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. The television series was set in and around Cocoa Beach. Ms. Eden visited Cocoa Beach in 1966 when the street sign was placed at Lori Wilson Park.
We live inland and were eager to see the beach but without the crazy numbers of people on the more well-known beaches such as Cocoa Beach, so walking down the boardwalk to the ocean was a delight. The ocean was angry that day, but that did not deter beach goers from enjoying the warm weather and beach activities. Lifeguard stations and rescue equipment are prominent along with flags indicating ocean conditions. On this day, the red flag was raised indicating rip tides. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent.
Do not expect to see a lot of seashells, but we did see many tiny blue aquatic creatures that looked like jellyfish.
If you are seeking a quieter beach experience with no parking hassles or crowds, a nice dog park, and clean restrooms, Lori Wilson Park fits the bill.

We went to several beaches while on our stay and this was by far the best beach we were at on the Atlantic side. It was easy to access, clean and not terribly crowded. You can walk along the beach in either direction for as far as you wish. Parking is free, with ample parking but it does fills up fast after noon. There is also a dog park right next door There is a small food truck on site but we brought our own so did not use them. Great Beach even found a few shells.

My daughter likes to play in the park and to explore the trees and the surroundings.
The park has access to the beach and it is very convenient to jump in the ocean after playing at the playground.
The parking can fill up relatively fast during summer weekends, so plan accordingly.

Lori Wilson park has plenty of parking and easy access to the beach. What a beautiful place to go to the beach. When you get back to the parking area, they have showers available for you to rinse off. They did have a playground area but we were too tired from playing on the beach and in the waves.

Show up early to get a umbrella and chairs for $30 for the day. $10 for a boogie board for the day. Great Sand and lots of shells. Free parking and showers with multiple bathrooms. Only thing missing was tide pools.

This beach location was recommended by locals at the restaurant we ate at down the street. It is a nice little walk from the parking. You have to walk up and down stairs as well. We were carrying a lot of beach stuff so it was quite a hike with all of our things. The beach wasn’t overcrowded and the beach was nice and clean. The sand close to the water and when you first walk in was very coarse and sometimes painful. The sand is also very hard to clean off. Unfortunately, we could not find a place to rinse off. We had two small children that were covered in sand that would not wipe off. We had a long drive back to Orlando after our visit so the girls were very uncomfortable. I actually had coarse sand stuck in my toenail polish. This may just be the type of sand in the area. It was just not what we were used to. If you stay away from the water you will be okay.

The beach itself and the free parking was great. We rented chairs and boogie boards. Not crowded at all. The only issue was the was only 1 shower that barely had any water come out so it was difficult to get all the sand off plus had a long line because everyone was leaving at the same time due to weather. It was worth it to not have to pay for parking though. Restrooms aren't very clean but it was mostly just sand on the floor.

Very pretty beach with easy parking, umbrell and chairs to rent plus bathrom and outdoor shower facilties.

Nice, big, free parking lot with a ramp/walkway leading down to the beach. There was a vendor to rent "tents" from.

Nice place with free parking and public bathrooms. Outdoor showers. Can rent loungers and umbrellas and boogie and surf boards. Be was fairly crowded but hotels up and down the coast also have access. We would come back again.

The best of Lori Wilson Park several times about this time of year it provides a place of solitude nature and beauty even in the winter months and the beach is accessible with public parking, right at the Lifeguard stand

Unable to find a parking place-left our hotel in hopes of spending some time at the beach-rode around for several minutes to no avail

I took a day trip here on Thanksgiving; it was lovely. There was a nice bathroom and pavilions w/ grills. Looking forward to going back again with more family and a full cooler.

We absolutely loved the park. Everyone was really nice and there is a lot of room for people to enjoy the beach. There was plenty of parking also. Great place for families.

We stopped by for the beach but it was 100+ out so we opted for a stroll through the small nature park. It was lovely; cooler than the beach and filled with lovely plants and skittering skinks. Not very big but really a nice surprise, tucked in between the two public parking lots.

This is such a nice nature trail. It is right on the beach. It has a deck that you walk on throughout the entire trail. It is so pretty. Great to take picture of nature or with nature. It has beaches throughout where you can just sit and enjoy the sites and sounds of nature. Also has picnic area and park.

Nice beach. Very clean. Bathrooms were gross. Public parking filled up quickly so we parked in the back lot and had to walk. We rented a beach umbrella and chairs. We rented it a few minutes before 2pm and they charged us the "day" price, and a few minutes later, we heard them charge another couple only $10 since it was so late in the day. They "close" at 5pm but start taking your chairs at 4pm. It was nice to see cruise ships from the beach.

We went here today. The beach is well looked after. The paths to it are good. The washrooms and shower facilities, really need to be looked at. The are grubby, with broken fixtures. Someone from the parks department needs to have a look at these facilities please.
Recommend for the beach and the park equipment. Don’t recommend for the washrooms.

Not much to it, appears that the beach loops are blocked. Saw a big turtle and of course some lizards. Small playground area. Lots of people just used the parking lot for beach access parking. The south area does have a small dog park.

Lori Wilson Park has it all: free parking, lots of spaces, toilets (not very clean, but hey you can't have 'm all). A lifeguard at the beach overseeing a wide area. What was new for us: trash cans on the beach. That resulted in a clean beach. The sand if fine, perfect for small kids to build sandcastles (as we could see all around us).
The boardwalk can benefit from an update: some planks are loose and when you walk onthe boardwalk with slippers or flipflops, you can hurt your toes badly. Hence the 4* and not the 5*

I LOVE the beach at Lori Wilson park. It is the closest nice, free parking beach to where I live. It is good that there are restrooms available, but the last 2 or 3 times I have been there the restrooms were woefully neglected... no toilet paper in the ladies' room, floors wet/muddy, no hooks on the doors to hang up your bag.
But...the sand, sun and surf are worth the trip there. Once you get on the sand, you forget about the restrooms!

It is about a mile or so south of the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. The park entrance is not well marked, so be on the lookout. It has free parking, bathrooms, outside shower for finding off. It is just a short walk across the boardwalk to an awesome beach. We rented beach chairs, an umbrella and a boogie board. The water stays nice and shallow for quite a ways out. The waves we just the right size for us and our 5 and 7 year olds. We all had a great time.

good parking; very nice Hammock Nature Walk Trail (but it dead ends so you loop back to where you started); handy to the beach; playground for kids

This is a big park right on the ocean with parking, bathrooms and lifeguards. You can't beat Florida for beach access and Lori Wilson Park will not disappoint you!

We heard this was a must-see venue. It was nothing spectacular at all. Very small plot of green grass that eventually connected to the beach. We didn't get it. Left in 30 seconds.

For those who drive to Cocoa Beach for the day, this place works great. For starters, the parking is ample and FREE. The access to the beach is no more of a hike than from any of the beach hotels. There are three beach access points. The beach, because it's public, is staffed by a certified lifeguard. Easily accessed from both the north and south.

Nice public park directly on the beach. No charge to park. There's boardwalks thru the woods that lead out to the beach. Covered picnic areas, restrooms and playground. Lots of private places to enjoy your day.

We arrived at 2 pm on a Saturday and the parking lot was full. We managed to find a space of someone leaving.
The beach itself was pleasant. The water was warm and murky with seaweed. The waves were moderate. There were many families on the beach.
The rental chairs and umbrellas closed at 4 pm.
The rest rooms were filthy. There are no changing stalls so there was a large line at the restroom with people changing there. The showers are outdoors.

When I visited Cocoa Beach in late July, the water was beautiful and warm. The beach was clean and there were chairs and umbrellas to rent ($30 for all day). Wonderful day!!!

Lots of free parking, nice boardwalk across the dunes and sea oats that separate the beach from the rest of the park, pavilion, restrooms, a shower to rinse off. No changing rooms, but restrooms are available parkside.
The beach here is soft sand, but packed well in the surf and great for walking and running. Above the surf, it's soft, with the usual flotsam and jetsam. One could run for miles here.
Sea turtles nest here and the nests are well marked, and posted - it's against the law to disturb them.
The park closes at dusk, but during my visit it was well past dark by the time most people had left. I can't speak to enforcement, as no guards were on duty during my visit.
Recommended!

Stumbled upon this on a google search, glad I did! FREE PARKING! Get there early to get a spot though. We got there at around 10:30-11am probably and got a spot in the first parking lot close to the access points. They have a bathroom/shower house, rinse stations all near the parking lot. There are 3 access paths to the beach. The beach was clean and smooth. SAND WILL BE SMOKING HOT until you get to the smooth sand by the water.
A few other reviews I read was that the sand in the water was rough and "shelly". We did not experience this at all. It was quite the opposite, smoothest beach I have been too. The water was a bit cool, but we have never been to the Atlantic.
Very low-key beach with tons of areas to access the water and lay out.

Had to take pictures of this street as I loved watching I Dream of Jeannie with Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman.

There are two parking lots. In my experience the southern lot (I dream of Jeannie Lane) is slower to fill up. The south lot is closer to the dog park, but further from the kiddie playground. Nice wide beach. A lot wider at low tide, but still nice at high tide. On a hot sunny day, take a break and walk on the hammock trail boardwalk. Nice and shady and some really beautiful large oak trees along the trail. If you are up for it, it's about a 2 mile walk to the pier. Sand below the high tide mark is fairly firm and easy to walk on.

Free parking, Domino's Pizza hotspot, restrooms were a little untidy. Chair and umbrella rental was reasonably priced and the attendant was super nice.

We love Lori Wilson park! This was our second trip there, and it was just as nice as we remembered. Beach rentals are available at $20 for two loungers and an umbrella. There are restrooms, showers, and a lifeguard. It wasn’t crowded when we were there either time. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I, along with our 18, 17, 16, 14, and 11 kids, all took a trip from our resort in Kissimmee to Lori Wilson Park on our Florida vacation, and absolutely loved it. It was a very nice beach with easy parking, restrooms for changing, and a snack bar for some refreshments. We had a terrific time jumping in the large waves. It was a memorable trip!

Been going to Cocoa Brach for 30+ years and stopped by for first time. Great access to beach and walkway. Little walking path through the vegetation is a great way to escape the sun and enjoy the outdoors.

We vacation every couple of years in Orlando area from Iowa, & Lori Wilson Park is our go to for a day at the beach. Short drive of an hour from our resort. Parking is free. We brought a picnic lunch to eat at a picnic table before hitting the beach. Beach rentals are reasonable. We spent $40 for a grouping of 2 umbrellas put together with 4 chairs. Body boards were also not too expensive. Right by the staffed lifeguard tower.
When we were there we saw one roped off section that was a sea turtle nest.
Bathrooms are not the greatest...I would like to see them larger & more room for people to change. Women's was 2 regular stalls & one handicapped with sink. Not ideal for a family to change after a day at the beach. Outside showers suitable to clean the sand off feet.
There is a concession trailer on site that looked like it had shaved ice & I'm not sure what else. Did not look at prices.
Some of the wood walkways were older & I would not recommend going barefoot on them.

Having been to Cocoa Beach before, but further south, I’d never seen Lori Wilson park before.
This is a bit of a hidden gem - free parking, great little park, boardwalk to the beach and even a little guy renting out parasols, sun loungers, surf and boogie boards and even SUP boards when it’s flat.
I visited twice - once at around 6am to watch the sunrise, and again one afternoon. Both times the beach patrols were out, and the beach was well kept and clean.
In the Brevard council minutes, there is talk of them trying to impose a fee to park on this car park - I feel like that would be a crying shame, as there is so little else in the area that is so accessible.

We loved the beach here. There was free parking and a changing area. There was a lifeguard and a nice sand beach. Recommend highly.

Nice beach! A bit dirty due to seaweed but I'm assuming that's common with the storms we've been having. Free parking and not nearly as crowded (you have to pay $15 at Pier) as Pier. Decent bathrooms and shower on site. We went in October and the beach wasn't overly crowded at all.

Have been coming to this park to go to the beach for more then 10 years, but it has gone way down. The trail to the beach is so overgrown and the boardwalk looks likes it’s gonna fall apart any second. There are so many other beach access that are maintained! Won’t be coming back!

The beach was clean, the atmosphere was very laid back. As well there was also little in the way of noise provide a calm and peaceful environment.

We used to visit here a lot but then haven’t been for about 10 years. It’s a great place to park but it fills very quickly this visit we were about to leave and found a space. There are picnic tables, children’s play areas, rest rooms and beach access.

This is a terrific free park where vehicular parking is free and there is easy and safe beach access. Nice changing facilities. What a wonderful find!

Free parking, reasonable beach rentals, lots of nice waves to boogie board, and very clean. If you’re looking for a nice public access area on the Atlantic side of Florida, Cocoa Beach, and more specifically Lori Wilson Park, is a solid choice.
P.S. We prefer the Gulf side, but totally enjoyed our day here. Would return again!

We love watching the ships come and go. The beach is beautiful. My granddaughter and I had a yummy breakfast from the concession stand. It also has nice playground equipment.

I really like hanging out and surfing at Lori Wilson Park... the waves can, on occasion,
break decent and the access is easy. Water quality always is good and through the years
it has been a sentimental favorite for me on my many trips down to Cocoa Beach!

We came, we saw the Atlantic coastline, we left. Sea has terrible riptides and the lifeguard had packed up and left. There were empty plastic cups and litter everywhere. The shops and motels nearby are cheap and nasty. My advice is don’t bother - there are nicer beaches elsewhere.

Umbrella and chair rentals were already set up, so that was very convenient. It seemed like they had to be returned earlier than I would have liked, but that may be due to the season and hours may be extended in summer months. It's a little thing, but I really liked that they had a box for sand toys at the end of the boardwalk- great recycling idea and keeps the beach clean. We were there on a weekday and it was quiet and peaceful. I would imagine that it will be busy soon. Arrive early for parking.

Even walking the boardwalk out to the beach is kind of amazing, it just sets up for the perfect reveal of sky and sand and water. No matter when I've been, it's not been crazy crowded. There are bathrooms available, sometimes food trucks with snacks, and it's just a great stretch of beach to spend some time. Lifeguards are on duty most of the time, and every once in a while they'll clear the water for sharks circling, but that's when you work on your tan.

Lori Wilson is one of my favorite parks. It is not as crowded as Cocoa Beach but has chair and umbrella rentals and bathroom facilities.

My family and I stayed in an AirBNB close to here so we frequented this beach everyday. Very clean and not that crazy. We also stayed near the lifeguard post and even though they were doing serious work we were entertained by the “movie like” routine they had.

Spent the late afternoon at this lovely location! Parking was free and there was plenty of it, though I imagine it fills up more quickly other times of year. There were restroom facilities and shower sprayers for rinsing sand before you get back to your car! In addition to beach access there are also picnic tables and a couple of playgrounds.

Not many places left in Cocoa Beach that offer free parking and I hope it stays this way. The park has bathrooms and an outdoor shower area. There were lifeguards on duty here and its a very short walk from parking to beach.
This park is also perfect for someone with a dog since they have a dog park available.
Apart from obvious joys of the beach the kids had fun walking the nature trail and then climbimg in the play area which has picnic tables and grills.
Great park for a day out.

My wife and I stumbled across the park as we walked down A1A. We walked around and found it mostly empty (December). It was relatively clean and has access to the beach. Not much more to say.

Great little park with excellent beach access. Had a fun afternoon there. Easy Parking with clean restrooms and an outdoor shower to rinse the salt off after swimming.

We went to the beach and got there about 11am. By noon, there were cars circling, trying to find parking space. The beach was nice and clean. The men's bathroom was out of order. Hopefully they fix it soon. There is a shower outside. The shower operation switches could use some upgrades.

We stayed a mile or so off the beach and used this park for access to the beach. the lot has great acess points to the beach and there are equipment rental stalls rght as you come out - very convenient. Word of warning. When the weather heads south and the double red flags come out - everyone heads out about the same time. As a result it can have a little traffic jam. Be patient if this happens to you.

Lots of free parking, restrooms ( a bit grubby but everything works) showers, and easy route to a glorious beach and a concession stand selling sodas and ice creams.
Surely the best place for miles to base a day on Cocoa beach. The beach here, incidentally, has perfect white sand, a gentle slope and the Atlantic here is as warm as a bath.
Lots of fine eateries nearby too. Recommended.

Discovered this by accident whilst looking for beach parking. Relatively clean toilets. Nice boardwalk area. If mobility an issue be aware the beach is a few minutes walk from the car park.

We rented a house on Merritt Island for the holidays and took day trips to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised with the convenience and amenities we found at Lori Wilson Park. Parking was free. We were relieved to be able to rent two chairs and a beach umbrella for the day ($20 well spent). Restrooms with showers were convenient. The boardwalk and beaches were very clean. We forgot to pack drinks the first day and were happy to find a food truck parked in the parking lot. The kind couple that runs it said they are there daily. They sell sodas, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, bags of chips ... We will definitely returned next time we visit the Cocoa Beach Area.

Lori Wilson park is a clean, nice park with parking and has a seperate park for dogs. Its beachside. Good for family picnics. Parking is free unless there's an event.

This “park” has access to the beach and doesn’t cost anything. If you value a place to change comfortably, clean bathrooms, and working showers, then I recommend looking elsewhere.

A nice beach but nothing that special! except this is where surfing started with Kelly Slater!
A bit too crowded and not a hidden gem!

We arrived in Port Canaveral around noon on a Sunday and decided to take an Lyft to Cocoa Beach for a short trip to the beach. After ding some research we found Lori Wilson Park to be the perfect location - public restrooms, changing area, outside showers to get the sand off and a nice beach. They do have chair and umbrella rentals but we brought our own (yes we packed bag chairs and cheap beach umbrellas from Five Below - TOTALLY WORTH IT! ) It's only 20 minutes from the port and a nice day trip!!

After reading about this park on Trip Advisor reviews we made a visit. It wasn't crowded, had a lifeguard and a great sandbar for swimming safely. We had a really nice day. Yes, there is seaweed that needs to be raked and the bathrooms aren't perfect, but coming from NJ, having any free beach access is a plus! If you want a quiet day on the beach, I recommend this place. You can also rinse off afterwards in the outdoor showers.

We fell in love with the beach at Lori Wilson Park: free parking, short walk, beautiful flora, clean sand, reasonable rentals (even by the hour), and the beach itself was perfect for my 6 and 12 year old children.

A very nice beach. Free parking is a BIG plus. Most nearby beaches have metered parking. Public restrooms are available, and there is usually a food truck/shack near the restrooms if you need something. Showers by the walkway to wash off, Lifeguards on duty. It says it has a dog park. Did not see it, and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Loved the Atlantic waves; free parking was a bonus! It's such a beautiful place to stop and swim. Great for families; with lifeguard surveillance.

We visited this park for the day. we choose it because it was free parking and close to restaurants. it has rentals available, showers, restrooms. the morning we visited the beach was almost empty. Getting from the parking lot to the sand was short and easy. We will be back here again on out next visit to the area

While staying in Orlando, we typically visit both Clearwater and Cocoa Beach. Lori Wilson Park is our destination point for Cocoa visits. Many shower facilities, clean, soft sand, and lots of beach front. Parking is free. Chair and umbrella rentals run about $20 for the day. The surf is a bit stronger than Clearwater, which is great for kids riding their tubes or boards. We really enjoy visiting the area and dining where the locals go, too. It's about 1:15 drive from Orlando. Be sure to stop here.

We took my granddaughter to this park to let her run around and enjoy the playground equipment. It was a very clean park but the equipment is best suited for children ages 4 and up.

A really nice free beach. Ample free parking also. The beach was not crowded and it was clean. There is only 1 outside shower, which can a little time consuming, but a few extra minutes beats being at work.

Lori Wilson Park is the best spot to park and spend the day at the beach in Cocoa. Showers, bathrooms, dog spots, and multiple beach entrances make this place the best. Oh, and did I mention it's free?! The waves are good, the sand is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Enjoy your day at Cocoa by starting it at Lori Wilson Park!

Every thing as described; good parking (free); easy to find; spacious and very pleasant.
This park is so totally natural, which makes time spent there a real pleasure. The only thing (and this is just my own shortcoming) is the long walk and long stair-climb to the beach.
Still, it's worth it.

We enjoyed the beach at this park. It was easy access with parking. I recommend visiting. There was a vendor present to purchase cold treats and iced drinks.

Nice beautiful beach with chair and umbrella rental.
You could walk out quite a ways and the water doesn't get to deep.
Nice sandy beach and sandy walk out one in the water.
Clean and quiet. Free parking with bathrooms and showers.

First it is free. To get a spot for parking get there early on weekend. Nice clean beach. Has showers outside to rinse off and one in the bathrooms. They have an icee stand to get $2 icee's. Yummy on a hot day. You can rent umbrella's and chairs or bring your own. Great beach!

Free parking, a scenic boardwalk to the sand, showers, bathroom and lifeguards. Very close to restaurants. Lots of families and couples, not too crowded, great beach vibe.

Came here early one morning to take a walk on the beach. There is plenty of parking and several walkways down to the beach. They have showers for rinsing off the sand and salt water as well as men's and women's restrooms.
My only issue is there is only a small sign by the road and it's hard to see the turn in.

This is one of the few places in the area where your pup can run unleased in the fenced areas. Friendly people are regulars here, and it is always nice to meet new friends. No dogs allowed on the beach, though.

-ample free parking
_short walkway to Cocoa beach
-life guard on duty
_very picturesque , calm, beautiful setting

We visited Cocoa Beach for a one day trip and were looking for something with easy access to the beach. This park had free parking which was great and beach chair rentals that were very reasonable. It cost $20 for a whole day for 2 chairs and an umbrella that was set up for you. This park also had outside showers to rinse off and bathrooms. The only downfall was the bathrooms weren't in the best condition by later in the day.

This is a very nice park. There are many places to park your vehicle. The beach is wonderful. There are picnic tables, some even nestled in the mangroves, a nice playgound area, clean bathrooms and a boardwalk to see the birds. I would recommend this park.

It was spacious and less cramped than near cocoa beach pier . What I really appreciated was that the bathrooms were handy.

Not crowded (we went early on a week day), FREE, bathrooms were cleaner then expected although they are free beach bathrooms so keep that in mind in regards to your expectations. We were able to swim and enjoy the gorgeous weather. Not a very far walk to the beach. No commercial tourist stuff. Bring a picnic to eat in the pavillion! We liked this better then Playalinda because there was no traffic and the facilities were cleaner and more comprehensive, e.g. pavillion and outdoor shower. Playalinda has better sand but there is a fee

The beach was clean and quick walk from the parking lot. Bathrooms and changing facilities were nice

As I was on an exploratory walk while my wife shopped and laid on the great beach, I found this. I could not remember that the reason people in our age bracket had such high regard for Cocoa Beach and why we were glad to come here all had to do with the TV show, "I DREAM of JEANIE". I did not remember that Admiral Nelson and Jeanie lived here in the popular show. Although very little of Cocoa Beach was shown on the show we all had memories of this idyllic location. I relearned all this as I visited this nice park with nice restrooms, great beaches and play areas.

My husband and I and our four children , the youngest being 5 and the oldest being 12 briefly visited Lori Wilson park. Let me start out by saying it was SUPER difficult to find a parking spot and had double parked just to take a few photos. It kind of stunk because we wanted to walk around and check things out. But due to the lack of parking spaces we could not do that. We were there for less then 20 minutes. I really can't say anything else about it because we did not get to see much besides the playground . So if you're deciding to visit I suggest either walk if you're nearby or go during a time when it's not busy.

While locals told us the this park/beach gets busy we went on a Thursday during the day and it was not busy at all. They offer free parking, out door showers, and clean restrooms. There was some playground equipment but we sent our day on the beach. One of the coolest thing was at the beach access there are buckets of beach toys which you can borrow or if your done with the ones you brought then donate them. I am not a fan the Atlantic coast we go to the gulf coast several times a year but I wanted my kids to experience it at least once.....overall a great beach day at a wonderful place.

Went here get a little sun sand and sea therapy. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced. Not a long walk to get to the water. Highly recommended for family with kids.

The beach is free with free parking. There is a hot dog/ice cream vendor that sets up in the parking lot. He offers cool drinks as well. Not overly crowded on the weekend we were there (in July) but still plenty of room to spread out.

Loved this beach. Not overcrowded and very clean. Free parking. Restrooms could do with an upgrade, but were clean when we visited. Outside showers to wash sand off bodies and feet. There are some picnic tables and boardwalks. Would return again.

Nice beach area, umbrella and 2 chair rentals 20.00. They also have other water items to rent. Bathrooms were not the cleanest, could do better job, but those that visit park could tidy up behind themselves also. Currents can be strong, in general just a beautiful beach.

This is a state park but there is no entrance fee and there are no employees to monitor parking so it's a free for all. People were blocking each other in and parking wherever they could fit. There are three toilets to serve the several hundred people coming through during the day. The foot rinses and showers were all broken.
That being said the beach itself was nice and clean. There are life guards as well. If you are coming here, come early or you will have to Mad Max for parking.

This is a nice area to enter the beach. They have bathrooms, outside showers- to clean off the sand, picnic tables, and a boardwalk to the beach. We have enjoyed eating lunch at the picnic tables. This is a very peaceful place. I like to go here to read; I am just close enough to hear the ocean in the background. There is also a little nature trail, about 1/8 mile raised boardwalk with various small animals down below- mainly lizards. My family enjoyed this, very peaceful, and little exciting- you do not know what animal you will see next.

This is a beautiful spot. Very family friendly. Well kept. Easy to get to. It has a little tv history as well. It is supposedly the setting of the "I Dream of Jeannie" show. There's a little sign on the way in to the park with the history. There are lifeguard stands on the beach. It's a great way to see the real Florida. No showers or bathrooms on the premises.

The beach here is wonderful!!! The parking was easy in the morning but we arrived around 8 or 9 am. On the weekend when we left around 11 the lot was packed. The umbrella rental is $10 for the day if interested. But overall loved this beach!

With a beautiful Atlantic beach ahead of you as you're driving on I Dream of Jeannie Lane......Yep! You've just entered the perfect 'Sit-Come'.....LOL!
Come and Sit on the dune backed beach as you gaze towards the pads of the Cape. Could this be the place where Major Tony Nelson took off from and eventually met his Genie in a bottle? Hmmmmm.
Lots of parking spaces, a boardwalk, restrooms and even a dog park makes Lori Wilson Park a nice paradise off the asphalt trail.
Convenient to all of the Space Coast attractions, this beach beckons you.
Have fun and don't forget the sunscreen!

Great access to beach. Showers, picnic area and plenty of parking. The beaches were beautiful and not crowded.

Nice dog park with separate sides for small and large dogs. Scenic boardwalk trails through nature area.

Great place to go since parking is free and there is plenty of it. It is just a short walk to the beach. It is better to either go early or later though as parking does fill up pretty quick.

My husband and I loved Lori Wilson Park. The beach was beautiful and we liked that there was a life guard on duty. The little trails to get to the beach made you feel like you were walking through a jungle with all the pretty agriculture surrounding them. Every morning we rode our bikes to the park and enjoyed the sunshine!

If you like solitude, peace and quiet this beach is for you. No food services, boardwalk, etc. Just beach.....and clean...No lifeguards, at least the day we were there.

Best public beach park/access on the space coast. Ample free parking. Bathrooms and showers with changing area. Dog park. Affordable beach chair and umbrella rental. Coming back tomorrow.

The nature trails are covered with debris except going out bridge. Hopefully volunteers will clean up to make dirt paths passable

Lori Wilson Park Beach rentals is great.
Some rain moved in on us but Skylar made sure we were taken care of. He was a very helpful gentleman. If his boss reads this give that man a raise.
He is doing a great job taking care of your business.
Public beach, less crowded - Good day spot - Weight the pros and cons
We often drive to Cocoa Beach when we visit Orlando. It is an hour drive and makes a great day trip and diversion from theme parks. Lori Wilson Park is near Cocoa Beach Pier, offers public beach access, restroom access, and is not nearly as crowded as the pier.
These is a great day spot if you don't mind packing your own cooler or driving out to find a bite to eat. This makes it appealing when I'm with chill adult friends. I find Cocoa Beach a lot more convenient and easier to manage when doing a day trip with friends who prefer amenities, and let's face it - drinks, and children (hotdogs and ice cream at the Pier).
