Whether you come to Madison Square Garden for a concert, a hockey game, a basketball or any event, you will not be disappointed.
Since The Garden was renovated several years ago, you will find many options for food and drink and the place looks great.
Get here early and take time to walk around. Especially walk around the 100 section level and look at plaques commemorating the moments in Garden history for each day of the year. Check out what moment in Garden history took place on your birthday.

Really enjoyed watching New York Knicks v Orlando Magic at MSG. It was such fun and a really cool vibe.

Everything about this visit was brilliant We went to see the last season of the game against the New York Nicks and the Tronto Raptors.
What a fantastic game, atmosphere, venue etc. The venue was easy to get to and well organized both on entry and exiting.
All in all Venue was fantastic.

What more could I say but it was a awesome experience on February 20th.
I made reservations several weeks before for handicap seating, as my wife was recovery from a knee replacement 12 days before. We purchased our tickets through Ticketmaster and when I spoke to the MSG staff, a couple of days before, they moved our seats from one handicap section to Section 313WC on the Chase Sky Bridge. The view was nice and clear with plenty of room for my wife to put her leg out and rest it. The restrooms and concessions were close by.
The staff at the elevators and on the sky bridge were very friendly and helpful. Everyone I spoke to from the concessions to attendants were upbeat and extremely pleasant.
We hope to be able to attend another concert in the future here.

Attended New York Rangers NHL game at this iconic sporting venue. This was a great experience from start to finish. The Rangers and MSG put on a fantastic nights entertainment with. Music, lights, ice hockey off course, good food and drinks. Excellent experience and well worth a visit, we will definitely attend MSG again when next in NYC. Also MSG kept in touch prior to event with reminders and advice how to enter venue to avoid crowds etc. Great customer service.

Lovely venue and atmosphere at an Ice Hockey game, and staff all friendly and helpful. But echo that of other reviews - shockingly high drink prices, with 2 double vodka and lemonades and 2 bottles of water cost £67 in total!

Fantastic experience from start to finish watching NBA match Knicks v Raptors! Well marshalled by staff who knew what they were doing, and the arena and a the stuff of legend! Must see on your next NY visit…

It’s good to travel with family especially if you have the same interests, if you want to visit New York, you must go to 9/11 museum and met museum, go to Central Park if you love walking. Visit st. Patrick church from there you can see the Rockefeller all along you can visit a lot of places.

Stayed right by Madison Square Garden to see HARRY STYLES, 1st night of NYC show. BEST TIME EVER!! Amazing concert, and best people there. Like one huge party!!
We also took a carriage ride in Central Park and managed to eat lunch at Tavern on the Green!

Visited Madison Square Garden to watch my first NBA game. Currently the stadium is amid construction sites and can be a bit challenging to navigate. The arena itself is new, modern and tidy. Both food and accessories stalls are plenty for fans and first-timers alike. Row 210 is a budget option with a clear view of the basketball match. The vibe is real and most importantly, Knicks won!

Myself and my daughter attended the Carrie Underwood concert here, the sound here is fantastic, the show was outstanding
The venue is spotlessly clean throughout and there are many and varied food and drink outlets as well as merch stands pertaining to the act
Had a wonderful night

What an amazing venue. Rave reviews on all aspects. Plenty if food options. Restrooms are plentiful. Staff helpful. Seats were comfy and roomy.

I attended Madison Square Garden for a Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind, and Fire concert and it was great. I managed to get good seats near the floor and it was great. The venue is amazing. Pretty much every seat has a nice view of the stage. There are many restaurants and bars for food and drinks and everything is organized well. It was busy getting out, but, Penn station is right next to the garden so it was easy to get home back to Long Island. Overall I highly recommend seeing a concert here or a basketball or hockey game.

The tour through the MSG was better than expected!
All the events since the MSG was founded are listed and can be viewed in pictures! Highlights such as Wrestlemania 1, with Hulk Hogan's shirt or Rowdy Piper's boots, are all on display! Wayne Gretzky, the GOAT of ice hockey, also deserved an extra large exhibition!
Pop music greats, stars and of course lots of sport, you can see it all here!
Highlight: The dressing rooms of the NY Rangers and NY Knicks! The view of the court from the VIP lounge! And of course the entrance way directly courtside, which we were able to walk on! (unfortunately we couldn't go directly onto the court)
There's definitely something for everyone!
$40 is pretty steep, but if you do, it's worth it here!
Next time it will be a Knicks game, I can hardly wait!

Was there for an NBA preseason game. The stadium was almost full despite the fact it was not an important game. One thing that didn't like, were the prices from the cantine just before go in to our seats. One normal beer and a bottle of water $22? really? Apart from that, the service was good and fast despite the number of people. The experience in total was nice.

We could not get a ticket for the Knicks so we decided to try the tour and it was a good choice, you can only imagine the vibes during a concert or the epic boxe matches hosted in the past.

As someone who has been to many concerts at many different venues in different cities, this was my first time visiting Madison square garden 12 hours away. It was always on the bucket list to see a show there but I must say my experience there with the staff at that venue was horrific. We arrived at MSG early in the day in hoping to get some Lady Gaga tickets for that night from the box office. We have had luck at other venues getting tickets the day of the show at box office even after being told they were sold out with no problem. When we arrived, a worker had me and my two daughters and her friend line up on the side of the building and were told they would be bringing us in from there if tickets were available. There were around fifteen people in front of us and everyone just waited quietly and patiently minding their own business. After waiting maybe an hour we were told after stage set up around 4:00 they may have some tickets but currently there were not any so we could wait or check back later. According to the Madison Square Garden official website they are open from 12 noon up until one hour after the show starts on show days to purchase tickets from the box office. Eventually a man came out and said they would only be selling online which we didn't feel was accurate since we had done this before and know people that have purchased this way before. Many people left and we proceeded inside to purchase merch for Lady Gaga still hoping to secure tickets to the show. We waited around several hours and were told by the employees working at the box office windows to keep checking back as often as we would like and they may get some closer to when the show started. There were probably ten or less people waiting around not in anyone's way or being disruptive at all. All of a sudden maybe an hour or so before show time several men in suits which seemed to be on some type of power trip came over screaming at us saying there would be no tickets sold through the box office only online even though we had just been told by the people working the windows that tickets were starting to pop up to keep checking back with them. I have never been treated so poorly at a concert venue and super disappointing knowing it is supposedly on of the best. We were finally able to secure two tickets but had been told to wait by the people working at the box office windows that there should be two more. As i am paying for the tickets I am purchasing one of the men proceeds to scream at my daughter telling her there are no tickets even though we were purchasing them at that very moment. These men were also screaming at the workers that were selling the tickets at the box office windows who were just doing their job. The workers at the windows were extremely kind and assisted us in securing our tickets. Devin especially was amazing. They also could not figure out why all of the workers were so angry and screaming at everyone. My youngest daughter that just moved to college there tried to return on Wednesday to purchase tickets from the box office and screamed at again. What a way to welcome her to NYC. MSG you really need to do better with your staff and the way they treat people as this is not okay. I have purchased box office multiple times at other venues and never been treated like this. Not really giving the reputation of the best arena in the world. We did nothing wrong as the website says you can purchase tickets the day of the show at the box office, and we ended up doing just that but did not deserve to be screamed at for trying to purchase tickets to a show there. Luckily Lady Gaga was amazing but definitely would not choose to return to this venue voluntarily.

I've attend numerous Knicks games and including concerts in my past life. The arena is nicely designed and has a history of famous performances here. This arena has the amazing ability to transform from an ice skating rink for the NY Rangers; to a basketball court for the NY Knicks; to a concert hall; to a performance displaying dogs/cats etc. They do have large TV screens for ticket holders who are unable to see due to "nose bleed seats." This arena is conveniently located in Pennsylvania Station where the LIRR; MTA Subway; Amtrak, and NJ Transit are.
Cleanliness is a big issue as patrons are slobs as they do not clean after themselves after an event. Patrons who attend events seriously need need etiquette lessons as garbage is pile high and they do not clean after themselves. Price for food is ridiculously expensive.

Really recommendable. The view into the suite, the changing rooms and the way to the Lakers' playing field were particularly great. Great tour guide.
It would have been nice to have information that the entrance is difficult to find due to construction work. This meant that some tour participants arrived late

Really great Arena, lots of Shops and Food possibilities! We really enjoyed the NY Knicks Game and even saw some Celebrities.

Madison Square Garden is a household name for concerts and great sporting events. It’s an icon of New York. Basketball, boxing and singing!

Went to Madison square garden to watch a game of basketball between the Knick’s and pistons. Being from the UK I’m not big on American sports but had to take in a game while in New York. Didn’t regret it, a great show in a great arena. Just beware of the drinks prices. $17 for a pint I thought was a bit outrageous.

We went on Tour to see a Knicks-Celtics game and the truth is that it is understandable why they call it the mecca of basketball in addition to the contribution to other sports, music and American society in general.

Triple header basketball - Knicks vs Pacers/Lakers, with St John’s sandwiched between. Awesome atmosphere for each with excellent views. Took the tour to cap it off and see a bit more behind the scenes. MSG is the heat of NYC.

We booked ice hockey tickets in advance of our trip.
It was a great experience. I’m not an ice hockey fan but the atmosphere was really good, the venue was great and we could see what was going on on the ice clearly.
Food and drink is very expensive (!) but we shared a $10 cup of Pepsi.
Definitely a worth while way to spend an evening if you want a great USA atmosphere

We bought tickets to see a Knicks vs. Sacramento basketball game. Madison Square Garden is gigantic! The show and all the side effects of the match are almost more interesting than the match itself. The shop, the huge cups of drinks, the big screen in the center, the interventions during downtime, .... An experience that you have to live once.

My son went to see a New York Knick’s basketball match and enjoyed every minute.
The inside of the arena is fantastic and the building is well kept and maintained.

Last week I attended my first ever kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts event. My friend's niece was fighting on one of the undercards and won her match. We got ringside seats and the fights were amazing two and three round contests. What an amazing time at the Hulu theatre. And all this while a Rangers came was being played in another part of the arena. What an amazing night and I got one thing off my bucket list!

We were here for a graduation ceremony and it was pretty cool. The staff was helpful, especially since one of us was on crutches, so that was nice. Things sold inside were crazy expensive, but I guess that's New York City for you.

Aazing venue for our first experience of Ice Hockey - New York Rangers versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. Fast, furious and fantastic! Venue easy to get too (although not a cheap experience it was amazing) and the staff help at the end of the game when escalators are switched off if you have any mobility issues. Fantastic space and love the game too.

We were in NYC for a gig at Pier 17 but the opportunity to see ELO on their 'over and out' tour here was too good to miss. Fees online were ridiculous and a lot of resale tickets so we popped into the venue when we arrived and got the cheapest available, £150 for two, side on to the stage, Block 223, up in the 'Gods'. As luck would have it, due to the laser show, we were given different seats on the night, more than twice the value.
Fabulous venue, superb acoustics, amazing light show, spacious seats, this was a proper show and we had a great time. 19, 500 sell out but no issues getting out, the place is enormous, we just took an exit and then found our way back to our hotel which was across the road!!
From buying Out of the Blue in 1977 to seeing Over and Out at the MSG in 2024, I couldn't have been happier.
Thoroughly recommended venue.

We saw a NY Rangers Ice Hockey game at Madison Square Garden and it was the best experience! Getting into the venue was really quick despite the bag checks and mass of people. Finding our seats was really easy as well. Good amenities for food and drinks in all sections as well. Long queues for toilets but this is to be expected at any venue. Would definitely recommend!

Took the tour, and so glad we did. What we thought would be a good way to fill up part of one particular day turned out to be one of the most memorable attractions in NYC. Our guide, Jay, was excellent! It is a helluva place! So much history, and so big!

I attended the Bob Segar concert at MSG on 10/30/19 with seats in the upper rows of section 209. Although the acoustics were excellent in comparison with years before the renovation, the visual of the stage projection screens was EXTREMELY POOR. The placement of the speakers hanging from the ceiling blocked ALL visual of the enormous screen behind the performers. And although there were numerous small screens mounted from the ceiling directly in front of our seats, they remained 'black' throughout. Had they at least projected some of the images my enjoyment of the experience would have been better.

First ever visit to the garden. Ideally would have liked to watch the Knicks but they were playing they day we flew in to New York. Got to watch watch the Rangers v Tampa Bay Lightning to e sell out crowd. Turned out to be a great game that had it all.. goals, victory, beer, decent food and decent fights on the ice!

As a great sports enthusiast and coming from the time where Michael Jordan stunned the world in the NBA! Was an NBA match always a big dream! Last year we went to watch the NY Knicks for the second time 1 word: AWESOME-GREAT!
If we lived in this beautiful city and we could pay a subscription, we would not hesitate for a moment! Tickets were not cheap but worth every dollar!
Be sure to do the tour in this mighty stadium!

Took a trip to NYC with my youngest son to watch Billy Joel In concert and it was amazing. Words cant put into perspective what a fantastic night it was ...
All the classic were sung along with some of his more u to date material.

We finally went to a long planned Eagles concert in NYC, after we missed seeing them back in Las Vegas when Glenn Fry was still around. It was a great experience all together. Good organization to get everyone in and start the concert on time (+10 min). The atmosphere was awesome. Everyone was really relaxed and we enjoyed the concert very much! The acoustics were surprisingly good considering the big space. I usually prefer smaller, more club like venues for concerts. So, we were pleasently surprised how well everything came together. Great experience!

Whilst visiting New York for the first time we had to take in some NBA at the iconic Madison Square Garden.
We arrived close to the start time due to traffic, getting through security and to our seats was really quick and efficient with staff being really friendly and helpful.
The arena itself is very impressive, minimal queuing for food and the view of the court was amazing.
The game was great and the entertainment between quarters and at time outs was an experience!
Overall, fully recommend a visit to MSG when there is an event on.

Me and my partner went twice to watch the Knicks play during our stay in New York. Beware of a lot of steps getting to your seats. The popcorn is unlimited if you buy the large so you can go up again if you would like , the large is massive though!
Great atmosphere including the crowds in while the game is on.
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting to go to a game !
We booked our first game on ticket master before arriving in New York. The second one we went to the ticket office asking the price of what was available on the day of the game and compared it with what was on ticket master. Ticket master was still cheaper including fees so just double check before booking!

Incredible, breathtaking
If you like basketball (or not) this place is truly unbelievable. Comfortable seats, cozy room. Even though we were far away (ticket price required) we were able to enjoy a beautiful show
Be careful when buying food or drinks on site (because anything from outside is prohibited) it's crowded and super expensive. The sellers are very rude...

We had a fabulous night attending Cher’s farewell concert. She put on an amazing show. We were singing and dancing in the aisle.

Great to see all the behind the scenes areas and procedures that go into making this venue one of the most well known in the world. The rich history of msg and all the pictures of the events that happened throughout the years and our tour guide very knowledgeable.

We went on the tour today and it was absolutely horrible. We felt as if our tour guide Rosalyn knew absolutely nothing about the arena. She “liked” and “um’d” her way through the entire thing. Within the first few minutes of the tour, we knew it was going to be bad. She literally walked past all of the Wayne Gretzky displays and made no mention of him. She walked away from us twice and we needed help from another employee to find her. She would speak at the front and not wait for the entire group to catch up so they would miss whatever she said. Any of the information she shared was very basic and we felt like we could learn more from Wikipedia. We did not see any locker rooms because there was a Rangers game tonight. She didn’t seem to know anything about the events that go on there. I’ve never been on a worse tour in my life. We literally thought it was a joke. What a rip off! We mentioned to several employees along the way how horrible it was and they just apologized but would not offer a refund. Save your money!

M.S.G. is a great venue to see a concert. There are many vendors, and Penn Station is right next door. The concerts which I have seen here have all been enjoyable. However, in my belief, I have not been too fond of some of the staff members.

Great place to see just about anything. Went to the Rutgers - Michigan basketball game & had a great time. Seats are great.

Recently my wife and I went to see Billy Joel at MSG. My wife was on crutches because of a recent surgery. As soon as we got in the door the staff noticed and immediately came to assist her. They got her a wheelchair right away and actually pushed her to guest services where they reseated us to a handicapped seat. She was able to sit comfortably and watch a fantastic show. When it ended the man was right there to pick up my wife and pushed her in the wheelchair all the way to the exit. I cant thank them enough.

This was my 1st time seeing a hockey game at MSG. I have been to several concerts and Knicks games in the past. I was not disappointed. The arena upgrades make this, in my opinion, one of the top venues in the NHL. Easy entrance right from Penn Station, plenty of entrances, no long lines through security and plenty of escalators to take you to your seating level. I lost count of the numbers of food concessions there were. There wa sjust about every kind of food including healthy options. Prices are venue prices, as I expected but the nachos were delicious. Just a quick Amtrak ride from Boston and I am back at MSG again!

Saw bill joel there in March 2022
To get in easy, quick, clean and nice staff
Venue clean, tidy lots of concessions
Far better then any U.K. venue from a customer/consumer perspective.
Visual, audio was superb, seats and temp really nice
Toilets were al clean and great

As a Native New Yorker I’m embarrassed to say MSG is a dump. I have been going to events there since 1977 so this is not a first time impression. Attended the Westminster Dog Show which was great but the arena is terrible for all events.

We booked 3 weeks in advance on a Thursday lunch time on a work meeting, to be turned away because we were a group of sober men, with one of us identifying as a woman. But we weren’t allowed as we deemed as a group of 7 men. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.

Went to a NY Rangers game and had an absolute blast. The stadium is easy to get to and get around, great seating and the entertainment was first class. One of the most famous stadiums in the world, lived up to expectations. A must do for the sports lover.

Took in a New York Rangers v LA Kings game whilst in Manhattan and it was brilliant. The venue and atmosphere was something else, even though the Rangers took a beating! The lighting, sound and all round game experience was first class. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food & drink reasonable priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Would highly recommend going to watch the Knick’s or Rangers here. We watched the rangers on a Saturday night and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is great it’s so fun soaking it all in. People around us were great. Good selection of food and drinks. This was our favourite thing we did the whole time in NY.

We visited here for the NY Knicks v Chicago Bulls NBA game on Monday night. While it was not full despite being sold out there was a great atmosphere. The Knicks were 18 points down and went on to win so the place was rocking! Our teenage daughter loved it as did we all. Great experience although expensive to eat and drink at $14 a beer.

Sat on the Bridge for the first time. Good sound and no one able to stand in front blocking our view. Telemonitors were small so not best view. Always a slow exit with the stairwells

The worlds most famous stadium. Came to watch the Knicks vs Mets and a great arena with superb seating and views. There’s plenty of food an drink booths dotted around the various sections and great not having to wear masks indoors. Food and alcohol can be consumed from your seat.
A gorgeous stadium with lovely staff who are helpful and courteous.

This is my 2nd Knicks game here - it never gets boring, the atmosphere is electric and is by far one of my favourite things to do in New York.
Getting in and out is quick and easy, the staff are super efficient and helpful.
Drinks and food are ridiculously expensive so eat first if you can!

Very special and amazing place!! We did the Tour, which was brilliant. We had a great guide, who know plenty of good facts about this place.

Visited the place for the NY Knicks basketball game.
Was amazing experience.
Stadium is beautiful and very comfortable.

I loved the place. I knew it from the outside but inside to see a spectacle is impressive.
It is an experience that must be lived

Other than high prices, this is great. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Only other negative was the seating. The seats are comfy
But they are low down meaning it can be an uncomfortable position for a long time.
The merchandise and drinks are good but expensive.

As a music or event venue it was very good. Easy to get in and out of. Good signage. Seats are very close together and not a lot of leg room.
My big complaint is the price of drinks. It is bordering on daylight robbery. Two pints of beer and a diet Coke was $38!! I don't mind paying over the odds but that is ridiculous. We paid good money for a ticket and felt that it was just wrong to charge that much and was the venue being greedy

We planned our trip around seeing Billy Joel at MSG. Just got email that the concert has been bumped 3 nights due to hockey playoffs! I know we aren’t the only ones who planned trips around this concert. We could spend hundreds of dollars extra to rearrange flights and pay for hotels, but it looks like we are just going to have to deal with the lost price of the tickets. Bad on you, MSG.

Well my favorite part as always is seeing my Knicks. I have been to 4 games this season and have been extremely impressed with the staff and the experience. Everything was clean and social distancing measures were taken very serious.
All the workers and Jim Dolan deserve a lot of credit.

I finally had the chance to experience a New York Knicks game live at Madison Square Garden, and it completely lived up to the hype. The energy in the arena was unreal — fans on their feet from tip-off to the final buzzer, the lights, the music, everything felt larger than life.
Finding good seats was surprisingly easy — I used saverseats.store and managed to grab great tickets at a fair price without the usual last-minute stress. Entry was smooth, staff were friendly, and the view from our section made every play feel close.
Between the classic NYC crowd energy and the Garden’s history, it’s the kind of sports experience every basketball fan should do at least once. I’ll definitely be back next season.

This is the big sports arena that sits atop Penn Station. Famous for basketball and big concerts, and it works OK. Not pretty.

Multiple entrances and levels inside. Seats for the game were comfortable. Clean bathrooms. Large variety of food and drink vendors.

We used the Go City Pass and was so well organised for getting
your time/ticket to enter the tour. We only had to wait 30mins and had a look round the NY Rangers and Nicks merchandise shop until our allocated time. Miranda our tour guide was very welcoming, funny informative and engaging. Would highly recommend the tour.

Welcome to the Mecca of Basketball! The arena is amazing. The seats are comfortable and the concessions are out of this world. You can watch a spring event or a concert. The staff at the arena is to notch, very helpful and provide a great experience. You gotta catch a Knicks game at the Garden. Go NY, Go NY Go!!!! It was fun watching the game. They had so many food and concession options. A great place to watch a game.

I didn’t expect this, super nice and well organized guided tour, we go everywhere in this cloakroom and location vip I loved

Went to the Knicks game last night vs Detroit. We lost, no surprise there. Great seats won from a raffle. Long lines for food, as many weren’t prepared. Plus food was too expensive if you’re on a budget.
Being a Ranger fan, the Knicks crowd was more tame.

We attended an NBA game. We saw Knicks vs. Minnesota. A show within a show. Perfect organization. Buy tickets online, preferably from a smartphone.

Three visits to the worlds most famous arena in a week. 1st was the basketball NY Knicks v Indiana Pacers, then twice for the hockey. NY Rangers v Buffalo Sabres followed by Toronto Maple Leafs. That made it four visits to MSG for sporting events and the home team has lost each time. A great arena. not a bad seat in the house, easy access, not quite so easy egress. Good choice of food and drink.

MSG is trying very hard to make the fan experience memorable. Attended last night’s Rangers vs Senators game. It has been a few years since I saw hockey at MSG. There was a constant barrage of flashing and strobing lights. There is a guest DJ and dancers who entertain between the first and second periods. The video crew has images of fans on the Jumbo screen very timeout. A bit overwhelming for an old man… probably perfect for young people. I like the old days: emphasis on the game itself.

Ok - it is Madison Square Garden. You know that you have made it, if you are invited to play here! Although, I just saw the Rodeo here - it is still cool to think that you are sitting in the most famous arena there is! The arena itself create an intense atmosphere, just bc how famous it is!

It was on my bucket list to attend a New York Knicks game whilst in New York and it didn’t disappoint.
Tickets were reasonably cheap and the atmosphere was great!

Went to see the Eagles at this iconic venue. Service very good, very secure and clean. The sound system is average at best. They are spending huge amounts of money on a venue in Vegas so it seems making MSG state of the art would be fitting! Still great but...

We visited MSG to see Billie Joel concert - what an amazing venue - brilliant concert and many screens to see Billie wherever you were sat - we had great seats and the acoustics were fabulous. Expensive for drinks and snacks as would expect - but one of the best venues seen a concert in

Spent three nights at the garden 1 for the rangers game and 2 for kiss final concerts amazing arena with lots of food vendors and great sound quality, be warned the seats are very uncomfortable with very limited leg room too the point it feels like your being squashed.
If a band offers early merch shopping arrive at least 2 hours before the set open time we arrived about 1 hour early and had to queue (fine) we only went early for the last poster staff where telling people it was 2 posters per guest which clearly wasn’t the case as while in queue we saw scum resales persons with at least 50 poster and others with around 20 and so on when we got inside guess what they had sold out and I wonder why that was oh yes because they can’t stick to there own rules appalling this isn’t fair to fans who had bought tickets for the show and actually wanted some memorabilia they should only let people in who have tickets tbh but there we are

Visited Madison Square Garden While in New York to see Carrie Underwood. This is a big venue. We has a good view of the stage though from where we are seated. There is airport style security here which in this day and age is a good thing. They advise it can taken an hour to get through security. We got there early & went straight through which I would advise. The venue is very accessible with lifts and escalators. The staff are very helpful. Only thing is prices for drinks are expensive $15 for a beer but I guess you expect that.

The place was very clean. The seats have no room between rows but very good experience. Security was friendly they get you in and out quickly.

Came to watch the Knicks at MSG....wow!! Some sporting arena...had hoped for more whoops and yeeeaaahhhs from the crowd but when only up for 30seconds it was never gonna happen was seated high up but great view being front row of upper level. Lots to keep you entertained.
Highlight was being I.D'd from a girl young enough to be my Daughter!!! Glad I went down a level to buy the beers...hahaha...
Must see for any sports fan

I simply put 3 stars because there are very limited hours to visit it inside... but seen from the outside it deserves 5 stars

I can't begin to tell you how amazing this place is. For a start its easy to get to, just follow the crowds - and there are thousands of them - even on a school night! Its just an iconic place too. We were greeted by friendly security staff who search your bags before allowing you into the 'reception area' there are plenty of things to buy from the club shops that pop up. We went in March (to watch the basketball) and September to watch the Ice Hockey - both amazing and entertaining - who'd have thought it. Seat allocations are good, you have a reserved seat and people generally sit in their own seats, if not the plentiful ushers will help you out. Its a great venue. great atmosphere and so big. We absolutely enjoyed the games we watched there and would love to go back.

Recently attended for a BillyJoel concert, great venue and a great time! We paid for parking very close to the venue a day or two before. Was an awesome experience. No trouble with security getting in and the lines moved very fast. FYI.. you can take a small purse in, at our concert it didn't have to be see through like other places. Lots of places to get snacks and drinks if you need that. Seats are comfortable and the sound was amazing!

Used New York Pass to tour the arena, saw the Sharks practising for their game definitely recommend this whilst in NYC

There is no need to add much more to what has already been expressed.
Beautiful and beautiful atmosphere in the middle of Manhattan.

First trip to NYC to attend a concert here. Excellent venue, Plenty of food & beverage options. All working there were helpful & pleasant except for...I witnessed a member of the security staff obviously on a "power trip" require a gentleman across the isle to remove his jacket resting on the EMPTY SEAT in front of him (which remained empty throughout the event). The attendee thought he was kidding, complied with no confrontation but SERIOUSLY?????? These were $500. plus seats & the jacket wasn't bothering anyone else.....

it's legendary baby! First time there and it was worth it. The Nicks was on a 9-game losing streak, then I showed up and turned their luck around 😂😂😂😂😂😂. We got tickets via a ticket broker at the last moment and saved a lot. Sat level 2 and the seats were perfect. Now I'm 6' at 230, so the seats were a little tight, not counting the fact that I have a bad knee. However, I made it through the game with very little difficulties. I would definitely go here again. It's next to the train station, so very easy to get to and it's a short walk from Times Square.

As big hockey fans seeing New York Rangers here was incredible. Following U.K. teams this blew our minds at the state of the art facility and the atmosphere. Definitely see something here whether it be hockey or basketball for the American sport experience

Have a blast watching the Knicks vs Pacers,Great environment,It was my first time there and it was a fun and exciting. I will go again.

What an iconic place. The view wasn’t great due to the huge overhang, the announcing was subpar and it was vastly too expensive. The food choices were just sad and everyone is rude, regardless. I enjoyed the game, the crowd response and the electricity. Access was very good and transportation was above average. Alcohol was plentiful and variet em was good

The garden is the best arena! We've been lucky enough to see Billy Joel here twice and my wife has been here a bunch of times for Rangers games and it's always a great time. It's very easy to get in and out of the arena and the bathrooms and snack areas are set up well. The views from our seats have been great here and the acoustics are great as well. It's the world's most favorite arena for a reason and it's a wonderful arena to see a concert or see a hockey game!

Came from Toronto to see the Leafs play Rangers Dec 20. Spoke with Guillermo, Customer Service Supervisor on the 4th level. He arranged for amazing seats so our family could enjoy the MSG experience! What a beautiful arena! Amazing staff! Wonderful city! I ❤️ New York! Thank you MSG and Guillermo!

Went to see cirque du soleil twas the night before.. venue was nice. Not having been there before, purchased seats in sec 200 row M... I was directly in the middle of the stage and had a great view. Think I had a better view than all who were on lower level as they probably had to look up to see the show...

The MSG tour was amazing, great to see behind the scenes and the arena. The thing that let it down was tour guide- I think her name was Rosalind or Rosaline. She knew next to nothing about the arena and spent a lot of time looking at her phone. Was sad to hear other tour groups getting so much info from their guide which we didn’t get to hear from our own. Would recommend to others though, just providing they didn’t have the same guide we did.

My wife and I watched a Billy Joel
concert here in April 2024. We had to sit in separate places - I sat in the 300 level and my wife sat near the stage. The concert was awesome and Billy Joel sang many of my favorite songs. The view and acoustics were great. Finally near the box office, we saw Billy Joel’s piano. There are only three more Billy Joel concerts left at MSG (May, June, July) so I am glad we got to see it.

An interesting tour of an old stadium with lots of history. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but we felt parts of the tour were a little rushed compared to the other stadium tour we did on our holiday (Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas)

I was fortunate to witness history being made by Zakir Khan—the first Indian artist to perform at Madison Square Garden in Hindi. What a night it was! The venue, the vibe, and the atmosphere were simply fantastic and unlike anything else.
The gates opened at 6 PM, and entry was smooth with no rush. Even though I was seated in Section 210, it was easy to find my way. The show itself was unforgettable—Zakir made us proud. There were moments that moved us to tears; he truly is a magician with words and emotions.
The energy inside MSG makes every performance feel special. The acoustics are surprisingly good for such a massive space, and the overall setup really amplifies the experience.
Being in Midtown Manhattan, the location is super convenient—accessible by subway, train, or even on foot if you’re exploring nearby. Security and lines were well managed, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. Seating is comfortable, though higher sections can feel a bit steep, as expected in arenas.
Food and beverages are definitely on the expensive side, but considering the venue and the experience, it feels worth it.
Madison Square Garden truly lives up to its name as “The World’s Most Famous Arena.” More than just a venue, it’s an experience. And on this night with Zakir Khan, it was nothing short of historic—an evening I’ll never forget.

What a stadium!! It’s vast and beautiful with great seating and 360° views. I don’t think there is a seat you could pick that wouldn’t give you greater clear views of whatever it is you are going to see there.
We watched the Nicks play and it was a fantastic experience!
Hot dogs were mega too!!!!

If you are visiting New York City and you don't have tickets to a New York Rangers hockey game or a New York Knickerbockers' basketball game or an ice show or a circus or a boxing match or a musical concert, you are encouraged to take the Madison Square Garden Tour Experience to get an up-close-and-personal and behind-the-scenes view of the world's most famous area. Located at 4 Penn Plaza, in Midtown Manhattan, betweens 7th and 8th Avenues, from 31st to 33rd Streets above Penn Station, on Manhattan's West Side, Madison Square Garden or "The Garden" or "MSG" is a multi-purpose indoor arena, the oldest major sporting facility in the New York area,s the oldest arena in the NBA, the second oldest arena in the NHL and the second busiest music arena in the world in terms of ticket sales. It is the fourth venue to bear the name. The current arena was opened in 1968 and has been renovated twice, the last time in 2011-2013 at a cost of $1 billion. It hosts about 320 events a year. Over the years, it has hosted the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, the NFL draft, Stanley Cup and NBA finals, Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and St. John's basketball games. The 60-minute guided walking tour offers unparalleled access to the Rangers and Knicks locker rooms, backstage areas, luxury suites and up-close views of the iconic concave ceiling from the Chase Bridge. In addition, visitors can relive some of Madison Square Garden's iconic moments with the Defining Moments exhibit and Garden 366 Retrospective. Defining moments? See Marilyn Monroe's birthday serenade to JFK in 1962, the Ali-Frazier fight in 1971, the Frank Sinatra concert in 1974 and appearances by Elvis Presley, John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel (who has made a record 134 appearances in the Garden), the Grateful Dead and The Who. Not to mention two papal visits, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

We went to watch the New York Rangers all in all it wasn't to bad at all as a sporting event, the venue itself is set up for people who know there way round MSG, as someone who has visited there for the first time there are no signs to follow for your seating section so you just follow the crowd. Food and drink are extremely expensive but dont let you put you off going there and watching an event, after all it is Madison Square Garden.

Without a doubt the most iconic events venue in the world & it didn’t disappoint. We were there 2c the Billy Joel concert, not only did Billy put on an amazing show but the venue just added 2 this.
From entering 2 leaving so well handled by all the staff. Yes I do agree with others that @ $17 for a can of beer is overly priced but it all added 2 the night !!

Don't miss when in town and the Knicks are playing. Great atmosphere, all organized and comfortable sits.

Went here for UFC 244. Great venue, plenty of food and drink stalls. Felt very safe. Only issue is some staff have no clue about what is going on. When visiting for the public weigh ins in the hula theatre the day before the fight I asked 2 members of staff where the queue is and non of them seemed to know there was even any UFC event going on. After eventually finding where to queue, 30 minutes later all of us there were told that the queue was actually outside and we then ended up being right at the back after getting there extremely early to avoid that, So was misinformed 3 times. Also most staff were rude but that seems to be common in New York.

We were in New York for my wives 40th and wanted to visit MSG. Luckily for me a big fight was on. Excellent service, great atmosphere and a fantastic venue. A very drunk Ukrainian fan spoiled it for a few nearby but didn’t effect us. Would love to visit for a bigger fight at full capacity. Good seats for only $45 too.

Billy Joel show! ..WOW!!...First concert here and will be back (from Boston) .....Getting out was a little slow but otherwise everything was perfect from start to end of the show. Chase Bridge seats are amazing btw. Concessions are well run and yes, pricey, =but what arena/stadiums aren't?

The seatings were planned out very nicely. The food options are great. More lightings needed between the street and the stadium.

The Rangers NHL game was incredible, all of the security and ushers were so classy and friendly “welcome to the gahden!”, but the highlight was the hockey
If you arrive early you can go down near the ice surface and watch the players warm up. also, the food is incredible

Went to see NY Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. Full house and everything went smoothly. Easy entry and exit. Hardly no queues at places to eat - we had pizza - it was good. We also had quite nice seats - pricy tickets USD 300 each.
The atmosphere during the whole event was great. Even the home team lost. But we were there because of the Hurricanes and Finns :)

Now I can tell people that I've seen the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. It was an amazing experience.

Great, great arena! Love it so much to be there!there is also available very interesting guided tour. Highly recommended.

I went to the Knicks vs Pelicans game in early Jan - my first ever NBA game and something I've wanted to do since I was a kid.
The ticket collection (International will call) was very simple and easy. Lots of opportunities to buy merchandise, and pretty easy to get food and drinks. Surprised I was asked for ID for a beer (I'm almost 40!) but this could just be a standard thing in these venues? Lucky I had my passport with me. The beer was $14 which i thought was super expensive, but when she gave it to me it was a 1L can so I can't complain too much!
The view of the game was great but my ticket was very expensive. NBA games in other cities are much cheaper, and if I was going again, I'd take the train to Brooklyn and watch a game there at a much cheaper rate. Still, it was a good experience!

Easy to enter from street level with ticket scanning before heading to Level 8 for the 200’s seating area for a great night’s basketball between Knicks and Charlotte Hornets. Kicks won.

Have wanted to visit Madison Square Garden for the longest time. Our visit was to watch the Christmas Day New York Knicks Basketball vs Milwaukee Bucks.
What an amazing experience. Do not hesitate to book tickets (they can be a little pricey, but the experience is so worth it) worth doing at least once in your lifetime.
You don’t have to be court side, the tickets further up are great, you can see the whole court and there are monitors for the smaller details.
The crowd interaction is something I haven’t seen before. It was such a great experience from start to finish.

Madison Square Gardens is phenomenal, a massive arena seating approx. 18000 people so the environment is fantastic. If there early, food and drinks were half price, great incentive for getting people seated early!
Billy Joel was amazing, sang brilliantly, a real showman. Great performance by him and the wider band members and singers. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Don’t get there to late. You should what to see the whole show. The camera zooming in on the guy picking his nose. The gigantic balloon drone getting closeups of the crowd and the extreme kick of build up show. Just a amazing experience :)

Here to watch a hockey game. New York Rangers vs Dallas Stars. Wonderful stadium. Great fans and food. The store didn’t have any Marc Staal merch which was weird since he was on the ice.

Watched Knicks V Pistons. Another great game at the garden. Everyone around us had fun.
Regarding the venue I found the member of staff calling people through the security scanner to be extremely condescending. He appeared to be annoying several people with his power crazy attitude. He was calling people through and then shouting at them to go back and wait until he calls them. An embarrassing idiot. Please don’t start what should be a great evening with people like this unwelcoming people in. I would suggest that he’s in the wrong job.

Did not know what to expect when we booked tickets, but we were keen to watch some sport while in New York. It was such a good experience, the venue is well organized and getting in and out was easy. The ice hockey itself was so much fun, fast paced and unlike any other live sporting event we have ever watched

$147 each to attend New York against Denver. 19,815 people or a full house to watch the match. You have to distinguish the emotion you feel when entering this temple of sport compared to the spectacle. The arena, even if calling it an arena is somewhat simplistic, is something fantastic. All spectators enjoy comfortable and spacious seats, bars and restaurants everywhere where the queue is quick and you don't have to wait long. However, the prices are decidedly high. You can easily go around and visit it even if you absolutely have to respect the assigned place. The emotion of entering and the beauty of the place is unparalleled. For basketball fans the spectacle of the match was quite disappointing. The spectators are decidedly silent and apart from applauding at every basket the place is almost silent. For us Europeans, it is difficult to see this separation between the match and the public. But beyond the sporting event, the thrill of entering a place like this is one of the best memories of the holiday in NY. I purchased the tickets online in a photo difficulty even though they were sold out

Kindly strange that such a big place as this has maximum 10 waiting chairs for around 100 persons waiting for their tour. Bad bad bad bad bad ..

This is the home of sports and entertainment. A lengenry place with with a guide infirmed us of the inner workings and historic events that have taken place. So much to learn

We loved going to watch the Knicks play the Wizards at Madison Square Gardens.
We were in New York to celebrate my sons 18th Birthday and we took our 82 year old neighbour who was in New York for the same weekend. We are all football fans (soccer) in South London who go every Saturday...we all said that we’d be Basketball fans if we relocated to the USA - we loved it.
I love that they turn the intervals into entertainment segments.
Really enjoyed it despite the Knicks losing.
The only other loser was my wallet - expensive...food, drink, merchandise...all of it...although worth it. Great venue.

We visited the MSG with the guided tour and, although very well organized and complete (you visit the bleachers, the stands, the private apartments that directly overlook the track/field, the changing rooms of the New York Knicks - basketball - and NY teams Rangers -hockey-, the corridors with photos of the main sporting, musical, political events, etc. that have been held here over time) remains the objective difficulty in fully understanding what is illustrated by the very good guides unless you if you are a native speaker…. I honestly think I have an excellent level of English, but the slang and above all the speed with which things are explained, given the short time available for the visit (about an hour), do not make understanding very easy. of all the illustrated steps. However, the Arena is truly spectacular, immense, and seeing the workers working on setting up the pitch or assembling a stage is a memorable experience. From the ceiling emerge the banners relating to the titles won by the teams that play on this field as well as the records of the main artists who have performed here over the years.

For the second time I returned to this temple, because it is fair to call it that, with my wife, to watch an NBA game between the Knicks and the Raptors (I would have preferred Christmas Day against the Spurs but the prices were objectively prohibitive).
Leaving aside the game itself, I am quite passionate about NBA, what leaves you stunned is obviously the show in the show.. Never a dead time, always involving .. two and a half hours have flown nothing short of ..
And then there is the MSG that is worth visiting even if you are not attending a specific event.. Magnificent from the outside.. beautiful, clean and tidy inside.
It exudes competitiveness and emotion in every hallway or seat, thinking especially of the thousands of events it has hosted.
If it is the most famous arena in the world there will be a reason.

We were lucky enough to see Billy joel here in December and what a fantastic venue! It was so well laid out and managed!

The Madison square garden is always the Madison square garden
I have Nothing to say about it
Atmosphere is magic
Unforgettable

First time here for a Billy Joel concert and found the place packed but with lots of staff and very well organized in terms of getting in and out of the facility.

My first time and it was everything that I hoped it was. An iconic location for boxing so I was thrilled we got to watch mma. Thanks to all the staff who worked. Everyone was on point. I would've liked to seen more to eat than hot dogs but..

Loved the Madison square tour, very informative. Was great seeing the hospitality areas. Would have loved to have seen a basketball game or a music concert.

The old Madison Square Garden needed an upgrade. The rest rooms and concessions were lacking, especially for the upper deck. The seats behind the goal had obstructed views below the seats. This is addition to the difficulties of getting to the upper deck as it's on the eighth floor. Its location in Midtown Manhattan wasn't conducive to getting there by car.
A few years ago we finally got to a game in the renovated Garden for hockey. The parking and eighth floor problems remained, but the concessions and rest rooms were greatly improved. The obstructed views behind the goals I believe were eliminated. And if you had seats in the 100, 300 and 400 sections the view is good.
That brings me to the 200 level. The front rows of section 200 are a little far from the ice but otherwise fine. But as you go further back, as we did, you lose the view of the iconic ceiling, the retired jerseys, and half the new scoreboard (if we were seated further back we would have lost more of the scoreboard). But the worst yet was the feeling that you were watching the game from another room through an open door due to the 400 level overhang and the distance from the ice. You felt disconnected from the game. I'd been to MSG many times before the remodel but this was the first trip for my wife and my friend, who were anxious to see the Garden. They both said not to bring them back there again.
If we had better (more expensive) seats we might have felt differently, but as is the game was no fun. This was exasperated by having to wait 15 minutes for an elevator to take us back to the ground floor and exit. The whole experience was disappointing.

We have been here many. many times over the years. It's so convenient to get to. We don't drive. We take the train and it goes into the Garden making it really unique and different from other venues. This time we were here for Pearl Jam. We are fan club members and have first dibs on tickets. We scored pretty good floor seats. The only problem was seeing over other fans heads. At times, I couldn't really see the stage at all. The sound is always good here no matter where you sit and they do have large screens. At least I could see that all of the time. This is one of the most well known venues in the country and it's always a great experience to come here.

Square ?
Well it is VERY ROUND from the outside, and the Madison Gardens (that is the square block= “the gardens”)have actually moved down a couple of blocks south, but, the venue is still the Madison Square Gardens, built on top of the sadly torn down, beautiful Pennsylvania Station........
- Still Penn Station is below, in a massive way !
However, once you go there, and have a ticket to a show/ event, pay attention.........you can go in, pre-scan your ticket, avoid the lines, etc, etc.........
Once in, enjoying your show, in our case The Eagles concert, you are in a good arena, great sound, comfortable seats.........
- BUT, you have to be prepared for the rude and very annoying people, who insist on taking their paid spots, making you stand up for them, in the middle of the opening song..............duh, very bad manners, in my book !
Also, wanting to go and pee or get popcorn, again, in the middle of a classic song, and you have to get disrupted several times............
- As a European visitor, this is a VERY rude and ignorant behavior, that I think you just should have to put up with..........
As a seating attendant, I wish that this person would be insisting to advise people to stay in the doorways, until there is a break/ a new song.......
Other than that, the place is great !

I went with my son to a NY Knicks game against the Denver Nugetts. Sensational. Not just the game itself, but the experience of following a show promoted by Americans. They will not just watch the basketball match, but they will enjoy it the entire time.

This venue does not accurately label seats as obstructed view. Saw a concert recently where I could only see half of the projections (a critical part of the performance!) and was told that seats are only labeled obstructed when you can’t see the artist. Totally dishonest and greedy. I paid a lot for these tickets and was not able to enjoy the experience. Beware of section 227! You’ll feel like you’re sitting in the concession area instead of the arena. Will never see a show at MSG again because their seating charts cannot be trusted. Guest relations was totally unsympathetic and unhelpful.

Sensational night in March - 26 songs non stop - fills and commands auditorium- all the hits and more- faultless- okay drinks top end of price but worth every dollar- unforgettable night and highlight of our trip from Dundee

Wonderful performance. Great seating. We sat on the lower level, but I don't think there's a bad seat in the house! Awesome sound, awesome performance! Entry to MSG and the theater was seamless...ushers were very helpful!

Great way to see the inside. Your guide was fantastic! Easy walking great information. Lots of food places outside for after tour

Visited Madison Square Garden to watch Chris Stapleton in concert. Unbelievable experience to see the best singer in the world (alongside the Boss), service was excellent, facilities outstanding and the history of the venue just exudes. However it was Stapleton’s vocals that brought the place down…..just incredible

I came by here with one of my work friends to watch a sports event - it was spectacular being inside such a historic venue where so many athletes and artists have performed!

Great concert experience. We had premium Chase seats that were so comfortable with a fantastic view of the stage. Nice clean bathroom facilities and many beer, alcohol and food options.

Great performance! Not a bad seat in the house. If you buy tickets on line you can print them out at home

Simply brilliant. The atmosphere of Madison Square Garden doesn't exist anywhere else. You are well placed to watch the match. It doesn't matter where you sit. Broadcast on panoramic screens for the people highest in the stadium. Possibility of catering throughout the match in the corridors behind the stands. We saw the KNICKS VS BOSTON match

I had been there a Lot of times...and there's a kind of magic in it. No matter what can do inside, watch a musical show or whatever... When the lights turno off...A kind of miracle happened. Lovely Place.

Participation as a spectator in an NBA game. Crazy atmosphere! Top organization, always a little entertainment during game breaks. Huge catering offer. Very good monitoring of the match even from the top

Had been to MSG twice before for a hockey game and basketball game in the pre-renovated venue. We were sitting quite high and the seats were still good, I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. The jumbotron is pretty cool, staff is very friendly and the venue is quite easily to get around. The only thing I will complain about is lack of taxi lines. After the basketball game it was raining and it was kind of a free-for-all to get taxis. You figured they’d have something set up for that many people leaving one place at the same time.

Every time I attend a concert at MSG I tell myself NEVER AGAIN. In December I went to see Andrea Bocelli. The majority of the audience was 50 years old and older. It was nothig short of a potential disaster exiting MSG. Try to imagin older folks with their arthritic knees walking down flight after flight of stairs. It took well over half an hour to get to the ground floor. It's really ashame that this venue does not have accomodations for people to exit in a safe and efficient manner. I'll take the Barkley Center any day over MSG. It was a horrible and so unpleasent bordering on frightening.

Watched a game here and did a tour and it is such a great place. Coming from Australia I had no idea how much pride and history the place has and is a must see for anyone visiting New York.

This used to be a great place to see a Knicks or Rangers game, but MSG owner James Dolan has turned it into a sterile monument to overpriced ripoffs. Aside from the fact that both teams are awful and unwatchable, this is a horrible place to see anything. Avoid it like the plague

Ashanti was a great tour guide. I would really recommend the tour. Loved looking around the boxes and the information about the venue.

If you are a big fan of NFL, NBA or a hockey fan, this place will be wonderful for you. The guide tour allowed us to enter to different specials places, he made jokes, games and tried to keep the tour interesting. If you are lucky enough, you would watch a training session like us did.

Knicks vs Orlando Magic. Sat up in the Chase Bridge. Better seats for basketball than I thought. Great venue to see anything

Everything was done at the edge of perfection. One hour before the game was also a Victoria's Secret party and we were allowed to attend with models. Also the quality of the players was above any expectation.

First time at MSG for a Queen concert. First off, Queen rocked the house, amazing show, one of best I’ve ever seen! In terms of the arena, it was humbling to be at such a storied place for sure. While the building was a bit dated in some regards, it still was nice - seats were comfortable, sound was good, facilities were clean, staff was helpful and friendly. One downside, drinks were very overpriced. Got two mixed drinks, no prices posted, cost me $50 with the tip. A bit steep even for the city! There is a lot of work going on (construction) outside so finding the right entrance and line to get in was a bit confusing. But there were people around trying to direct people to the right place. Leaving took forever as you have to herd down escalators turned off (so basically stairs) winding down several flights. Seemed much tighter and packed than other arenas we have been to. But all in all, we will consider coming back for a show in the future.

We made a very interesting tour of space. It's worth it. The site has great guides that turn the experience into a great event.

We were a couple of Caps fans attending the Rangers Caps game. It’s a great venue, and the staff was nice & accommodating. Unfortunately our Caps lost, but we had a great night.

We LOVED our time at MSG everything was great. We visited from uk these tickets were for my daughters 15th birthday. My only complaint $48 for a cocktail was shocking!!!!!

We saw some clips of the New York Knicks vs. Orlando Magics and it was a real experience. It's not cheap but seeing an NBA game live is something special. 😃👍🏻

Very poor response (or rather lack of it) from MSG Guest Relations to my requests for confirmation that two Knicks tickets I had put up for resale (due to not being able to attend a game due to Covid) had not be resold - so I could make an insurance claim. I have emailed 7 times during the past 4 weeks, and each time get an automated response include the sentences: "Please be assured that we respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. We value and greatly appreciate your feedback." Furthermore there appears to be no other way of contacting them. Certainly not living up to that assurance!

Unfortunately it was a disappointment. 110 euros in advance for a seat under the roof and a tight seat. Zero atmosphere during basketball. The best part was the breaks with the entertainment. The price of a large beer was 16 dollars plus a tip. I left after 3/4 of the game.

Being in NY and enjoying watching an NBA game is fantastic.
The spectacle is not just inside Madison Square but from outside, the entrance, the atmosphere of the fans and all the excitement involved makes the place magical.
We watched NY Knicks 122 x 84 Denver Nuggets and as expected, we supported the home team.

Took my teenage sons to The Garden to see round the iconic venue. The tour guide (Mark?) was full of beans and very excited - so much knowledge! The place is steeped in history.
Only downside was that both locker rooms were out of action (but then they did warn that might happen when I booked).
Construction on 7th Avenue outside makes it a little confusing getting in.

We saw Billy Joel here at the Garden. The staff was amazing along with the vendors. Everyone was so very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend any event here!!

Great game and the Madison club was amazing and I got a good hat. Sad that the Knicks lost but a great game by Julius Randle.

Went to see Knicks at a ball game. Great seats upper tier. Centre view. Really quick and easy to get in and out.

Was a great venue!
Came here for my first ever basketball game, the venue is excelllent, staff were super friendly and the game, experience and whole event was so well organised and put together. Easy in and out and such a good time

NHL game for someone who is not a hockey fan but granddaughter is and loved it. Getting in and exiting was a breeze. Would love to go back for a concert. Ushers, Jumbotron, celebrities, all of it make it worth the price of tickets!

Unique experience watching an NBA game, the show they put on is worth watching, although the American one is not very effusive, the atmosphere they put on is worth it

Venue is iconic and it was a great place to end our trip! Went for a Knicks game which was just amazing - the whole experience of the crowd-cam, singing, T-shirt throwing in to the crowd, the celeb row, etc….. etc… and of course some fantastic basketball!!
The venue itself is good, plenty food and drink stands, plenty toilets and seats were comfy. Getting in took around 20 mins - signs would help if you have a bag as separate queue, but just an observation not an issue.
Would highly recommend a visit, particularly for a Knicks game!!

It is the home arena for the New York Knicks to play basketball and the New York Rangers to play ice hockey and where a great history and multiple memories of New York City are kept.
It has been the scene of major events such as concerts by world-renowned artists and major sporting events.

'MSG' is an historical, hauntingly beautiful, legendary, and timeless venue. Whether you can make it in for a sporting event (Rangers? Knickerbockers?!? other), live music (Phish anyone?), or other event, you should. You are etching your own wee scratch into the annals of history.
"Caveat emptor" - scalpers do still lurk around the gardens' outskirts; DO NOT fall for it. My buddy and I almost jumped at "2 floors for $200 each" as we were champing at the bit to get into our first night of the Phish. Luckily intuition told us "no", only to be confirmed by our box-office helper saying, "No paper tickets are submitted here anymore". Do not buy paper tickets.

The worlds most famous arena did not disappoint, a boy good dream to see anything in MSG luckily we seen the Knicks game against the magic the atmosphere was only second to the hibs at hampden in the Scottish cup final! Even tho it was the basketball I can still vision the singers singing, the hulk hogan going wild, an amazing evening at an Iconic venue! 5/5

The arena itself is amazing and a must for any sports fan. But its let down with its poor tour guide and security people. Tour only one hour and felt like we was just rushed around without having much time to look around the pictures or history they had ob the place. If your big big sports fan its worth going if your kinda 50/50 or less id say don't bother.

Watching two NBA games here was such a valuable experience for a basketball fan. The atmosphere is unique and the seating allows a great viewing from all angles. Very comfortable seating as well.

If you do not like cramped, tight seats with people screaming obscenities all around you with people randomly standing and blocking your view, then this is the perfect arena for you! We were Section 210, Row 23, seats 19 and 20. Precisely 2 rows from the very back. It is easiest to take the elevators all the way up to the 11th floor and get to seats from there. You will have a lot less stairs to climb. There is a few snack/bar options up there as well, but nothing to write home about. I searched all over for a rangers jersey since I wear a 3XL, and just a plain blue Rangers jersey with no name or number on it is $200 alone! Yikes. Plus when I went in the one store on the 6th floor the woman with huge fake eyelashes told me they didn’t have any jerseys. The kiosk on the 8th floor told me they would have them, so I went back and asked one of the guys who were more than nice to go in the back and find me my size since I guess most rangers fans aren’t bigger people…!? Either way, if you are looking for their lowest cost jerseys in a 3XL, you must ask them, (preferably a guy) to actually go look in the back for one for you. In a way though, I guess this is good because you know nobody’s hands were on the jersey!
The song that rangers fans sing after every goal is absolutely annoying too! It is very clear to me that Madison square garden does EVERYTHING in their power to guzzle money from people and keep any average people from buying tickets to one of their games. Also, in the 200s you can’t even see the freakin Jumbotron!!! They have tvs there instead, (pictured) because the Jumbotron is blocked by a sky suite with a much more premium view/experience.
Bottom line is this arena is trash and easily the worst I’ve had the displeasure of being at. Fans are crude and unwelcoming to opposing fans even though tons of Rangers fans make trips to opposing arenas with wearing their jerseys there. I hope they get crushed in the playoffs!

We visited MSG to watch a Knicks game on the run up to Christmas. It was a good experience, lots of fun, nice and clean etc. The food and drinks are expensive but that’s usual for stadiums. We only encountered two or three members of staff but they were all friendly, cheerful and courteous.

Attended the Dave Chappelle x Killer Mike show last week; great view from my 200 level seats. MSG is in prime location directly over the 2, 3 subway line which comes in handy if it's cold or raining outside. Also worth noting parking is free on certain blocks after 7pm.

First time to MSG visiting from London. Great arena easy to traverse your way around. We watched an ice hockey game and had a thoroughly good time. Vendors for food and drink on every level and surprisingly reasonable quality. Atmosphere was all positive but the crowds are quiet compared to sports events in the uk. Not a bad thing just different.

Great experience an really glad we went to the Knicks game which they worn !. Really iconic place and huge tickets not that cheap at £90 but seats were great and worth it for the experience.
Only down side was the price of food and drinks as paid $55 for two beers and two hot dogs and then $26 for a beer and a water !

We visited New York to take in UFC244 at the garden. It was our first visit to the venue and one which we had planned for a long time being fight fans.
During our visit we did the tour, visited the Hulu theatre beneath the main hall for the weigh ins and did the UFC event.
The place has a special feeling and this was emphasized on the fight night with a pulsating atmosphere. Throughout our visits staff were all extremely helpful, I come with wheelchair and staff really couldn't have done more for me access wise. Always helpful always friendly.
The tour gives you a greater insight into the stadium and all of it's uses now and in the past. There are events for every day of a leap year on show on the main public level. The tour guide was enthusiastic and well informed. This is much more than just a fight venue.
On fight night we had tickets on the 10th floor bridge in the accessible section W313. The staff made every effort to get us up and back down before and after the event. The view in our seats was a birds eye view but I would say that we were closer to the cage then the usual position we take at London's O2. It was a great view and we would probably take it again if returning.
It took a while to plan this trip but having made it i would definitely like to return to the Garden for another fights event! Many thanks to all at the venue.

We were lucky to be able to get tickets to see a basketball match at Madison Square Gardens to see the New York Knicks against the Chicago Bulls.
We visited on a snowy February night but we didn't have to wait long before getting in. After going through security we managed to find our way to our seats up several escalators. We had great seats, with a really good view of the court although looking around it appeared that everyone got a really good view.
Lots of food & drink stalls around the perimeter of the venue as well as merchandise stalls.
The atmosphere before & during the match was electric and everyone including us joined in with the chanting etc.
Although tickets are expensive it was definitely worth experiencing a match in an iconic venue which we may never get to experience again.

Fantastic experience and well worth a trip!!
We watched the Knicks play and thoroughly enjoyed it!! Great atmosphere and well worth a visit
We also had a couple of daily burgers which were the best burgers we’ve ever eaten!!
Well worth a trip :)

Our tour at this infamous venue was extremely detailed and entertaining. Being a big boxing fan, it was amazing to visit the place of Muhammad Ali's first fight with Joe Frazier. Learned a lot about this iconic stadium and thoroughly enjoyed the tour

Went to see a Rangers game. The arena concession area has a great variety of options. The prices, obviously because it's an arena, were very high. So much so, that alcoholic beverage prices are not even shown on the board. So, you choose what you want, and then get the sticker price. Was the most expensive tall boy can I have ever purchased at $17.00USD. I think that's a LOT ridiculous, considering the cost is probably $1.50 at most. The arena, despite what I've heard were extensive renovations, was certainly not what I would have thought. The jumbo tron is pretty good, but the arena lacks the wrap around lighting between levels, which, to me, is pretty standard in any of the new arenas.
I am not really sure how they would expect a family to be able to afford these prices.

This is quite the arena. It’s chaotic but somehow organized getting in. We went to two concerts during this trip and both times were quite similar. Despite the crowds drink lines were never very long. Acoustics were good for both shows and one time we were to the left of the stage and another time at the back of the arena, 100 level both times.

First time at MSG, outstanding, can’t wait to do it again. Sincerely doesn’t look like there’s a bad seat anywhere for a concert. Feeling the arena shake and rock was so much better than any large stadium etc. The security team managing entry with the COVID vax cards and tickets was quick, well organized and helpful. Note - all the food we had was….well it was gross, but based on what we saw….the beer looked plentiful. Restroom location seemed very good. Leaving the arena….be patient as it took a while w construction, but nothing unusual for a major event. Please let me know if this is helpful.

I went to the Depeche Mode concert on 10/28/23. The tickets were very overpriced at $175 each for seats that were 3 rows from the top. I had two tickets and brought a friend. The seats were section 210 row 23 seats 15 and 16. I even bought the tickets an hour after the show started on StubHub so I could save money and time it so that I got there just after the opening band finished and the main band took stage. I could have gotten the same seats for the same concert at Wells Fargo Center in Philly for $26 each. The concession stand vendors were very overpriced too: one small 8 ounce liquor drink that was mostly ice which I bought for my friend cost $45; probably worth $9. I bought a soft pretzel and medium Diet Coke for $25 total. The same would have cost me $4 at a Wawa in New Jersey. The construction on the outside of the building made the facility look unrecognizable. The climate control on the inside was poorly regulated as it felt like a sweat box. The seats were very close together and there was not much personal space for comfort. The view was semi obstructed by the elevated club section seats. My seats were so high up, I had minimal view of the Jumbotron; only some large screen tv was in place for supplemental livestream views of the concert for my section seats. I must say that the acoustics were very good and that the crowd had a lot of energy and the band kept the crowd engaged in the show. Because of the excessive and unnecessary overpricing, the next concert for me will be at Wells Fargo Center in Philly!

We decided to cross the street (since our hotel was just across from the MSG) and it was a great decision. The tour we took was very interesting, the tour guide (Eric) was fun and very kind. Really nice place to visit.

We went to Paramore night 1 and sat front row in the bridge level seating. The seats themselves were amazing. The bridge level was a little intimidating at first because of the height and the glass partition between us and falling. But once the music started all fears went away. Being that high up gave an ever slight illusion of being removed from the concert, like we weren’t part of the action, but for the inexpensive price we paid it was a minor inconvenience.
Security going in was great. All staff was great. We did not buy food.
Upon exiting we were all funneled down the stairwell with each level opening up to join the mass of people. We exited out into the street, a different way than we entered, so it took a minute to get our bearings.
Overall a great first trip to MSG.

Went to watch the Rangers , amazing venue , had bridge seats in 313 , great view and sounds , facilities superb. A must visit , very expensive though but so much fun

Madison Square Garden is a fantastic arena. We attended the Big East college basketball tournament there as well as the Oilers vs Rangers hockey game. The facility has a wide variety of food and beverage choices, is easy to navigate concourses, has good bathrooms and cheery and helpful staff. Our favourite items included the Lava eggplant meatballs and Gold Rush (bourbon drink). We walked the entire concourse reading the several displays about the legacy of MSG and the events it has held. We had a great time!

Not sure wheter the arena is not quite suited to get the best accoustics or if the performer / band's sound engineer is at fault
Arena access and infrastructure 8/10
Seat quality: 7/10
Security: 10/10
I have attended other concerts is similar (closed) arenas in other US cities, this concer did not have the sound quality I expected

The Garden is one if the world’s most famous venues. It is here where Marlyn Monroe sang Happy Birthday Mr. President to JFK. We enjoyed the very informative tour.

My partner bought me tickets to see Billy Joel in April great definitely a tick off my bucket list
1 week before the concert and 3 days before we fly to New York from the UK I get an email concert has been moved from 22 April to 25th April (the day after we leave New York) I am now over £2000 out of pocket my whole trip was to see Billy Joel and they cancel it for a ice hockey playoff game surely they knew the dates that the game would be scheduled should the team reach the final before they booked in Billy Joel and I lost over £2000
But they are just not interested in that

Just went the last 2 days for a Harry Styles concert. The garden itself has been kept up nicely and the staff did an excellent job keeping people in line and getting the line moving and communicating with people waiting for various reasons (merchandise, pit numbers and entrance). HOWEVER, they are ripping people off with their merchandise sales. When they ring things up it doesn't say you bought a water bottle or a key chain, it just gives a number. You also have to watch them like a hawk when they are bagging up your purchases. We came back minus one $50 t-shirt and charged for a $25 tote when we actually bought a $5 or $10 keychain. It wasn't until I realized the shirt was missing that I looked at the receipt and was trying to figure out the price of the keychain. We'd purchased some items earlier in the day and I matched the tote code on one receipt to the 2nd. My daughter said they never put a shirt in the bag but she didn't know one was purchased so she didn't know to say something. Very disappointed. I'm trying to get my money back but was told by CS that it was basically my fault. I agreed to pay the price. Which I did but I agreed to pay what I purchased. It's a $75 mistake.

Visited MSG whilst in New York to watch the Knicks. The arena is unbelievable, I had to pinch myself whilst I was in there. Prices of beer were a little bit expensive but I kind of already knew that before we arrived.

We went to Madison Square Garden for David Gilmour Tuesday, November 5 and the stadium is nice was within walking distance however when you’re leaving the stadium, they turn the escalators off so you have to step down each floor, which is a regular floor like an apartment building. You can ride up when you get there, but not back down so if you have mobility issues, you might want to check on alternatives

Went to watch Anne in the Theatre. The production was amazing, really enjoyed it.
The venue was ok. Security not the friendliest. Make you go through security that has no purpose as they don't make you empty your pockets.
They made us wait by the doors but then started moaning at people for sitting on the stairs.
They allow people in mid-show in huge waves (I assume late discounted tickets) which are super distracting.
Drinks were outrageously expensive! the price of two bears were crazy!

Friendly atmosphere! We bought tickets to the Knicks game on the 10th Jan! Guy on the box office was lovely and sorted us :) worth the visit!

It is a theater located in New York City's Madison Square Garden (MSG). It seats between 2,000 and 5,600 and is used for concerts, shows, sports, meetings, and other events. It is located directly above Penn Station and beneath (Yup, beneath) the main Madison Square Garden arena that hosts MSG's larger events.
We were here for Zakir Khan Show on 17 March and what a show it was by Sakht Launda..!! We were there 1 hour before show time, so it was pretty easy to enter, easy security check-in, check out your Section (not seat no), and follow the directions and you are good to go.
Entrance Could be tricky as it's different for each event. we entered from 32nd & 7th Ave... sometimes there is a direct entry on Aisla A, B,C, D. so reach there well in advance to avoid the crowd and enter peacefully, as some folks were entering even after 45 minutes
With the last row a mere 177 feet from center stage, every seat in the house ensures an intimate experience.
Did not buy beer or anything (usually charging you $15-20 bucks for 12 oz beer).
Seat is let's say- it was okay... not good, not bad... but if any tall person sits in front of you, your view will be blocked for sure.
sound system- it was good as it was a comedy show, I did not face any issue hearing despite I was in section 302.
As a theater-wise experience - it's 3/5.
Fact: Over the years, the theater has gone through a variety of name changes; from “the Paramount Theater,” the “WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden,” to “The Theater at Madison Square Garden, and finally in 2018, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. It’s a must-stop for tourists and locals alike!

Great location, but the people handling is quite slow and inconvenient. The facility has to move everyone up many floors to seating, I get that, there is a train station in the basement. What I don't get is why they have such small escalators with almost no room on the numerous landings between. Moreover, at departure time the escalators are switched off and used like stairs. Probably saves some electricity, but the pitch of escalator treads is not the same as normal stair treads and the varigated nature of the treads makes it visually difficult for many people to safely descend.
Here's an idea, put in some big wide ramps like virtually every other large venue uses. There is tons of room outside the structure for ramps. It might disrupt the appearance of the facility, but it would help drag the 'ol barn into the modern era.
On the up side, the staff was great. The usher in our section really knew his territory.

We were staying literally a 2 minute walk from MSG so managed to get tickets to see the NBA game between the Knicks and the Hornets
A fantastic arena steeped in history as a major sporting venue of the world.
Seats were great with tickets in block 217 costing around £85 each but worth it for the experience and you even got a free bucket hat on entry!!
Food was expensive but it s in general at all these sorts of venues.
As a sports fan I was just glad to be at the venue and watch a great NBA game
Loved it!!

Caught a Rangers v. Blues game on Thanksgiving week. It was very easy getting into MSG walking from 34th street. Gates opened 60 mins before puck drop. Our seats were in the 200’s sections. Lots of food vendors on that level. We followed some locals who went down a fire escape stair well to exit. Got out very quick. Loved the historical arena.

We were lucky enough that we agreed that there was that week basketball game we did not hesitate to buy tickets and see that spectacular event. Once in a lifetime you have to be there

The structure of the site is very good and to watch a show there, is guarantee of receiving a gentle treatment from the employees and quite comfort in the archibancadas, even in those where the price is more affordable. The detail is they don't accept money to pay for the concert tickets. Only international credit and debit card.

Great show and great experience at MSG!
My 3rd time there. I have done a Knicks and Rangers game prior and the concert didn’t disappoint.
Section 313 was a plus.
I’m tall and having no one behind me to worry about was relaxing. Little extra leg room too.
Larissa - section staff was great.
Think I will take the tour next.

I attended a show at the Beacon Theater (Many venues in NY are part of MSG)(as their website and vmail is happy to tell you repeatedly) to see Chris Tucker. The show started 40 minutes late, the sound system was horrible to the point that you could not hear 75% of what was being said. They continued selling food, drinks and souvenirs to people coming in late so a group of 7 women came in late, drunk and loud, carrying their popcorn and other junk. Two of them half fell over into our row, landing on the people seated next to us. Then they proceeded to start talking to each other, full volume, talking over the comediennes.
We decided to leave and stopped at the front to talk to the manager, who gave us a MSG customer relations business card and took my info. She was going to check into the unruly group behind us and report it to guest relations.
Nothing was ever done, the phone number for guest relations hangs up on you OR puts you on hold for minimally an hour or infinity. I have emailed half a dozen times, receiving the automated response that they care and will get back to you asap. I have also tried calling repeatedly. Over one month later, no one has responded!
Too many other reputable places to see events in NY. Don’t go to MSG or their venues as they really don’t care what happens to you or your satisfaction.

Fantastic tour, we were able to see so much including suites and being on the ground floor. Even had a chance to do a virtual reality experience. Would recommend this tour.

New York Knicks: what an experience! 20,000 people enter and it flows smoothly. Excellent signage and good catering facilities. Toilets are also easy to find.
Good view of the game everywhere, wherever you sit. Beautiful arena, where great people have performed.

We visited Madison Square gardens to see a knicks game. The venue is simply brilliant. Very well organised and I would recommend to anyone.

beautiful booked online a bit 'a mess to download the ticket if you do not confirm your number for registration access incognito

Spent a few thousand to come to see the New York Knicks, over from the UK. I have a chronic stomach disability and have accessibility requirements. On attending the stadium I needed the toilet, and asked an employee at MSG with a radio on the lower ground section in his 50s with a greying/white handle bar moustache. He instructed me I could not despite being made aware of my disability and the urgency. He then smirked laughing to a friend saying I had to wait and if I did not like it leave or queue up. It's an appauling attitude in 2024 and I would advice ppl to not go to a Knicks game if you have the misfortune of being disabled. The brand in my view is damaged and I shall be looking to go to Brooklyn nets in future.
New Yorks Knicks don't like the disabled.

It does not take the excellent account of the space of the seat and the time to evacuate from the place, as the rolling stairs are practical on arrival but it gets a little time to leave.

This was my favourite event that we attended in NYC. The atmosphere was awesome and great fun. Incredibly well organised.
Food is very expensive in the venue. We had x2 popcorns, x1 churro , X3 waters and x1 Bud Light and it cost $49 but I didn't care as we had such a fabulous time.

I have always wanted to see a basketball game in America and to visit Madison Square Gardens so two boxes ticked.
I was quite disappointed that they forced the LGBT agenda on to the crowd with an LGBT theme for everything all night! it's the 21 century and no one cares about your sexuality! everyone is human and everyone is accepted.
The atmosphere was amazing and the fans are brilliant but the sport itself was quite dull but maybe its because the team isn't very good. haha
Drinks, food and merchndise are so expensive $20 a wine and $15 for a bud light haha
but its a great event and the crowd go wild when the staff shoot t-shirts into the stand.
oh yeah nearly forgot the best part THE CHEERLEADERS!

Attended the last NY Ranger game on May 5 against the Washington Capitals in Section 106. The security let us know to wear a mask when not consuming food or drinks. He asked me as I was returning to my seat to ask my son to put his mask on while he was consuming a drink. He then came over and harassed him some more. He was finishing up his overpriced beer and answering a text. As I looked around us, there was a NYPD officer wearing his mask below his nose the whole night as well as many other fans with masks below their noses. Photo of this man below. I would like to know why we got singled out. We weren't loud or disrespectful at any time. It put a damper on the night. I spent a lot of money for these special tickets and was treated with disrespect. As a 1/2 season ticket holder, I do hope you speak to your employees about how to treat patrons.

This multipurpose venue shows how well its can be done. Whether you're catching a concert, watching the ice hockey or even the basketball, you'll be blown away by the quality of this venue.

As a sports tourism practitioner, one of my dreams was to get to know the mythical Madison Square Garden. And luckily that could have happened this year.
With enormous expectation buy the guided tour. But the first big surprise was that the guide did not speak a word in Spanish. Worse, unlike other sports stadiums I’ve known, they didn’t even have portable tapes to follow the guidebook’s account. The most amazing thing that of the 20 people we were, 15 spoke Spanish. I thought it was a serious fault that a place of that calibre doesn't notice in such detail...
On the other hand, although the guide at all times was very friendly, the auxiliaries who had been accompanying the group did not allow to enjoy the full stadium, which has inside it a lot of images and souvenirs of the most epic moments developed there. But almost not even a picture you were allowed to take. Hopefully those details can be improved and make more integral the experience of knowing one of the most important sports centers in the world...

Saw Harry Styles concert last night. Incredible! The staff at MSG were amazing. Earlier in the day, we went to the early access merchandise sale. One of the workers informed us of the time the doors opened for the event & how long lines would be at opening due to merchandise & photo areas. We decided to be there before doors opened at 6:45, so there wouldn’t be much wait. We weren’t sure where the photo areas were, but the guest experience agent outside of section 227 (near the escalator to 7th Avenue) assisted. He told us where they were & how to get to them. I wish I could remember this agents name because he was very nice & so helpful. Thanks to him, we were able to do the photo experiences. Our seats were in section 226 & they were amazing; the view was great. The concert was really really good. The only bad thing was when it was over, the exit situation was horrible. The escalators weren’t running so it took forever (about 30 minutes) to get out of MSG & onto the street.

We didn't go see any games due to outrageous ticket prices. But we did take the tour so we go to see the boxes and the bridge, ice level. Bonus having the Ranger's on the ice while we were there, but that meant that the locker rooms were closed. But Pete did a great job on the tour and advised us to come back the next day for the locker rooms, so we did. 3 of us got a private tour from Alex, who was a huge hockey fan! That made the whole experience for us!

Ny knicks game was so hot. We really enjoyed by night. All the people had extremely fun. The shows, djs, dances all of them was great. This venue is stylish, modern and brings everything for everyone.

Madison Square Garden is a historic sporting venue so if you don’t like basketball you can see other events here. I wish I could go back to a sporting event of the olden days. See Jack Dempsey fight or something like that. Anyway it’s pretty cool. Pennsy is a great food hall in it also.

The place is phenomenal. I hadn't been there since I went to NIT basketball games with my Dad in the 1950s.
My daughter and son-in-law are "rabid" Washington Caps fans. We came up from Virginia to see them play the NY Rangers. The Caps won big.
A memorable night at a memorable facility.

Iconic indoor arena. In the bucket list so we want to watch the Rangers win 7-3. Such a great atmosphere and staff were helpful when we were a little lost. Great access to subway also. Good win for our new team Hey Hey Hey

amazing tour of the most famous arena in the world, fortunately without any lines, the guide was great, very engaging experience, the tour lasts about 1 hour and you visit practically the whole structure

This was our second visit to MSG and Billy Joel was amazing! The seats were in Section 104 Row 15 Seat 19 & 20 and we had a great view. The staff are so helpful. There are multiple food and drink options available. Easy in and out of the building with access to trains. It was a great evening.

It is just a great place to see a game or concert. History, Charisma, and not a bad seat in the house. Try the soft pretzels outside from any vendor!

- Went to Madison Square Gardens to watch a basketball game.
- easy to find the venue
- a lot of stairs to climb up
- confusing once inside to find seats (although is marked)
- food/beverages available at every stairwell
- Great view no matter where you sit - TV monitor to see close up
- Very exciting atmosphere

Shame the tours were closed as would have loved to see inside however this is an iconic building and hope tours open up soon for others.

Went to go and watch the New York Rangers ice hockey here . Absolutely electric atmosphere and a complete sporting spectacle . It seems very expensive to go and watch but it’s worth every cent !!The food and drinks though inside are horrendously priced !!!

Spectacular is everything. If you are in New York, don't miss a basketball game, it is something different, exciting. I have tried to get tickets before going and for the sides since they are less expensive, but it is worth it.

The tour was really good, our guide (apologies I've forgotten his name!) set out to make it fun and I think he did a great job of that - even if most of it was bickering with the kids about basketball players/coaches.
The venue is really cool, the variety of events they host is interesting and how they always have ice under the main floor ready for ice hockey kinda blew my mind.

Great venue to see Bruce Springsteen. Was on my bucket list to see a concert at The Garden and was made even more special that it was Bruce Springsteen. Venue acoustics were fantastic and plenty of viewing screens in venue. Only down side were the queues for the merchandising, never seen so large queues in an indoor venue. Did not wait for them for fear of missing start of show and were sold out of many items at end of show.

What a dream to come here. We came to see Billy Joel for his 98th show and it was truly life changing. The staff at MSG were extremely efficient and we went through security very quickly. The merch line wasn’t long which was down to the friendly staff who were running it in a well organised fashion.

Loved this venue for Hall and Oates Concert! Our first time to Madison Square Garden. Was so thankful we chose not to sit on floor because people were standing during most of concert! Our seats were great on the side close to stage. Were able to walk from our hotel to the concert as well as great restaurants in the vicinity! Location is easily accessible.

Wow, what an experience!
This was the highlight of our stay in NYC definitely. I have always wanted to see an NBA game and this delivered in every way. The atmosphere of seeing a live game beats anything you could see on TV.
The arena itself is very well organised and well staffed, the food and drink is stadium priced but it is what it is. On a return trip to NYC I would come back for another game or concert in a heartbeat

Traveled to New York from UK for a concert at MSG. Well organized to get in and find you seats , but very expensive when buying drinks.
2000 people all trying to get out at the same time is not fun, but every venue in the world is the same

Incredible arena in the heart of New York. Went to watch the NBA gave between the Knicks and the Nets.
The atmosphere was amazing!
So interactive and the screens are a great touch.

KNIKS game, sublime Mood and such a mythical place! Not to be missed during your stay in NYC. I recommend!

It is a privilege to walk into this iconic venue that has hosted so many amazing events from Muhammad Ali to Billy Joel. We where here to see cirque du soleil in the Hula theatre which was amazing. I hear they do backstage tours and the next time I'm in New York I will do this.

We took the guided tour, about 1 hour where the history of the pavilion is reviewed, the boxing fight and Marilyn singing to Kenedy
A multitude of sporting and musical events. Very entertaining
And visiting from the boxes to the track
Impress the number of seats

MSG will always remain the worlds greatest arena. MANY memorable moments so as a diehard NY Rangers fan, I had not returned to the Garden since the renovation. Good news is it was very nice and accommodating; with the upgrades comes the upcharge. When it was once the 'blue seats' the upper deck is now the 'bar stools'. Actually, we enjoyed the view from up top. If you are thirsty, be prepared to pay 14 dollars for a beer. Only disappointment was the atmosphere. Years ago (80's), I would have lost my voice by the end of the first period. I was disappointed that the fans seemed to rely on the prompts to 'make some noise'. Times change, but I must say, it was a welcome improvement to yester years. Make time to visit this place but be expected to pay the price.

We were lucky enough to get tickets for the Knicks vs Bulls game.
Impressed with everything. If you get chance to visit. JUST DO IT!!

A must visit for anyone visiting New York if a sports event is on. I was fortunate enough to get tickets to an NBA match, New York Nicks vs Milwaukee. Ticket master is great for purchasing tickets, and also offers re-sell ticket options which are genuine. You can also purchase tickets on the day at the counters inside the stadium. There are plenty of seats, which are all comfortable and spacious. Price for the ticket is not cheap, around 140 dollars for a single ticket, so be prepared to spend some money, however it was worth it. I had tickets on the second level, and it was close enough to feel the atmosphere and see the match well. The stadium can get busy so I would advise arriving early. There are lots of food and drink venues on site. Overall an amazing visit, the atmosphere and quality of game play is excellent and you will come away hooked on basketball. Would definitely attend a future match.

This is now our great city so wonderful in every way unregretabky I had some trouble logging my comments on the review blog but this city is broken in millions of different ways subway safely is one of our biggest concerns for your arriving safely stop after stop so we the friends of Jodi arias will be around.

We came from the UK to NYC and managed to get Billy Joel tickets on my 40th Birthday. Getting into the arena was a bit of disorganised chaos, but we had good seats and his performance was amazing!!! However drinks and snacks were incredibly expensive, a beer and packet of Twizzlers for $26!!!
A great experience overall…

By far the best sports atmosphere in the United States, Food was amazing came for a Rangers Hockey game Tickets can be pricey, However it is Totally worth it Would recommend if you are visiting NYC.

Coming back to the Garden for the 1st time since February 2020, I have to say seeing Harry Styles was well worth it! My daughters were in the pit (huge fans!! 😊) and Harry had everyone on their feet the whole time! The floor was even shaking!! It was awesome and just seeing my daughters, especially my youngest seeing Harry up so close made the wait worth it too! I know what it’s like to be a super fan and to see a show at the Garden is one of the best places because sound, lights, video is awesome!! We just might be back for Harryween!! Keep that energy Harry going forever!

Was in NYC and had always wanted to go to an event at MSG , was able to get tickets at reasonable pricing so watched the knicks and the bucks , it wasn't full by any means but still a good atmosphere , lots of tourists doing the same as me , food and drink prices same as other venues, all in a ll had a good time

Directly behind Penn Station, it is hardly noticeable, but once you are inside, you can. We couldn't get tickets for the New York Rangers playoff game, so we decided to take a tour, which takes just over an hour and is really very informative (who has played here, sports or music, wow)

Last night we saw the Queen Musical “We Will Rock You” At the Hulu Theater @ Madison Square Garden.
Theater is Huge with 5600 seats.
A lot of Steps but Very Comfortable Wide Seats with lots of leg room & good acoustics. Very limited food choices & pricey!
This is no place to have a WestEnd/Broadway Musical. Never buy rear section seats unless you bring Binoculars.
Even middle sections are very far from the stage.
Better to buy the less expensive front side sections to be closer to the stage.
😎🎭🎹🎤

Went to see the NHL - Rangers v Maple Leafs. The venue is nice, well spaced and clean. We found that Americans know how to treat their fans. Constant entertainment, prizes to be won and more. There’s a huge selection of food and drink.
We were set quite far back seating wise, but still had an amazing view. Loved the game and we will be back for the Knicks later in the month.

A New York City Landmark by any standard, this is a place that will bring the best sports and music to the City.

Last game at MSG with Dwayne Wade. And second time in NYC. Great seats. Great atmosphere. Would go again.

Myself and my mom travelled to New York for a belated 60th birthday gift, we really wanted to watch a concert in Madison square garden so we saw WIZKID, we had nose bleed seats but it truly didn’t matter. The atmosphere was as amazing!
Big shout out to Robert C the usher he was fantastic. Very informative not only about Madison square garden but New York in general.
Truly a once in a life time moment that will we cherish forever.
Toilets clean & tidy
We didn’t eat but got drinks and although pricy was worth it.

Went to see Billy Joel - what a phenomenal performance and experience in a great, iconic venue. All the staff we spoke with were great. My only 'negative' observation was the overpriced alcohol. I had a can of beer at my seat .... $20. My mistake lol !

Ice Hockey Game New York Rangers vs Washington Caps, the match was a brilliant, high scoring and exciting game. The whole live atmosphere was a great experience. Unfortunately the Madison Square Garden experience was less enjoyable, $14 dollars for a beer!! are you serious? 2 tasteless hotdogs + 2 beers (cans) + 1 lemonade, because they didn't serve bottled water!?!? Total $50 OMG I know NY City was expensive but that is ridiculous, never again!!

As a massive ice hockey fan my 16 year old son loved this. Lots to learn about the arena and good access to different areas of the building.

Nothing like a concert in the iconic Madison Square garden! Is truly a great space however it needs a facelift . Seats on main floor can be really uncomfortable.

Went to see the New York Knicks play Atlanta at Madison Square Garden and had a great time
Great arena and despite all the necessary security cheks we got through very quickly and up to our seats. Had the essential Hot Dogs and Soda and hit the spot pre match
Popcorn for second half and even better the Knicks won so a great night

Simply AWESOME. The entire night was electrifying and every match was better then the next. Everything was open even after the even was over so we were able to continue the party to to early morning hours.

Saw the Rangers play at the Garden, amazing event. Anyone visiting and has the chance should give it a go. Spend extra and get the best tickets you can too, few extra $$$$ can make massive difference.

We've visited MSG many times before, since the late 1980's, for a variety of shows and concerts. It's very easy to get to from the LIRR - you don't even have to go outside. The place has had some updates over the years, but overall has been clean and neat all the times we've gone. We were there to see Depeche Mode - this review isn't about the show (it was amazing though), but rather about the facility. Security was professional (do note facial recognition technology in use, as posted on the signs); areas to buy merch were arranged logically; and lots of people took photos in front of the digital signage for the sold-out show. Checking in with our tickets via phone/reader was easy, too.
We sat up in the newer Bridge area, taking the escalator all the way up. Most guards and ushers were doing their jobs, watching the crowds and directing helpfully when asked questions. The one guard/usher at the entrance at the top of the escalators, when you first walk in to the concert area, not so much, though - "there's plenty of people down that way to answer your question," she snapped. The show hadn't even started yet and she was already done with people. Wow. In the amount of time she took to say that she could have just directed us. Unpleasant. Everyone else, though, was polite, professional, and helpful!
Food was good, with prices similar to anything else you'd find at a show like this. The people at the concessions were nice and efficient. Chicken tenders, fries, mozarella sticks were all good as well. Not inexpensive (though again, comparatively priced for concert food) but you do get a lot.
Bathrooms (at least at the Bridge level) were clean and well-stocked.
The view from the Bridge itself was excellent. The glass tables that line the front were great to put drinks and food on, and the rolling and foldable chairs were in good shape and comfortable. Everything was clean. Lots of trash receptacles (not overflowing either) to discard cups etc. in. We were able to charge phones at our seats, too (we brought a charging cable).
The way out after the show, especially from up top, took a a while. Escalators are turned off going up, and everyone walks down them like stairs. It can get pretty jammed up, but it's been like that as far back as I can remember. Just be patient and you will be fine. Once you're down, it's an easy walk (again, completely inside Penn Station) to the LIRR platforms.
Overall another a good experience. Thank you!

Loved seeing Madison Square Gardens.
An iconic building and well laid out with photographs of celebrities everywhere.
Let down by the organisation, with poor signage, poor interaction with visitors and poor timing.
We are seniors and foreign to USA. We hesitated inside the main doors to figure out when to go and were ordered to move on (it was very quiet at the time) without any attempt to offer guidance.
One of our party decided not to go in and was ordered to move on from the front entrance.
The guide was late for the timed tour.leaving the group waiting. During the tour part of the group was left behind and had to be guided back to the group. Later a security door closed before the group had passed through and another staff member had to let them in.
The couple who came to meet us at the entrance doors were rudely told to move on, even though they had simply sat on the step away from the doors to take medication. The staff member refused to let them sit even though they explained and were intent on entering.
We travelled half-way round the world, and I am sure many tourists choose to visit.
Staff should be trained to support visitors, not p.ss them off.
Thankfully we haven’t met this kind of attitude elsewhere in New York or anywhere else in this great country. Love USA!

Went to see NY Knicks vs Indiana Pacers play on 21 Feb 2020. Nice game and venue. It was also my first time at Madison Square Garden and we found out seats easily as were guided by the staff. BTW the tickets were one of the cheapest ones (400 level), we sat high up and the view was good or even great. Drinks and snacks are a bit overpriced but a) this is New York , b) you buy something at a very famous venue. A few downsides to mention maybe: I saw a mouse run between rows of seats, which I am not scared of and rats/mice are nothing new in NYC, though someone might freak out of this kind of sight. Also if you don't like standing in lines and waiting, arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the event not to stand in the hallway for too long to until they open the doors and let the crowd in (we stood for around 1 hr). The lines to buy drinks/snacks could be long too.

Legendary sports arena. Came here to watch Depeche Mode in April 2023. Since the tour wasn't stopping in Minneapolis, we had to find a location to catch them while they toured the US. Chose NYC and Madison Square Garden given the legendary reputation of the stadium and it did not disappoint. Able to obtain floor seats which made for an incredible experience. Well organized venue with plenty of bars with short waits for drinks and plenty of bathrooms.

Saw Andrea Bocelli last week. Someone should canonize the sound crew. Every time we go to MSG we are blown away with how precise the balance and volume is. The Garden is clean and the security is great. You can feel safe here.

We attended the Celtics @ Knicks game and we had a great view. As it was opening night they were doing a free t-shirt give away with every seat and also I caught one they shot up into the crowds as entertainment between play. No issues supporting the away team amongst all the home fans (the beauty of American sport) but beer is obscenely expensive tho $14 each!

Amazing clean happy friendly !!! Great food selection but obviously very pricey
Great experience! Thank you !

I booked to see the Harlem Globetrotters during our stay in New York - mainly for the experience of watching anything at all in MSG. I regularly watch shows at The O2 in London, so wanted to watch something in MSG.
The arena itself was great, during the show the top tier was visibly closed (had nobody seated there at all). All the seats on the lower tier appeared to be good tickets with a reasonable view. We was in block 101.
The show itself was very well rehearsed - I would say geared more for children, although I was surprised at the volume of adults with no children in tow.
A fun couple of hours during our trip to New York.

Saw Slayer here, was expecting the American crowds to be different from British crowds and what I'm used to working with.
Was very shocked to find security don't seem to care, in fact staff there don't seem to care at all.
Group of men smoking weed and cigarettes in front of us in the main bowl, staff alerted multiple times, nothing done. My contacts became physically painful to wear bc of the smoke being blown into my face.
I get people go to a gig for a fun time but come on.
I personally thought it wasn't sign posted too well till you got to the levels. If we hadn't have been following the crowd we'd have had no way of knowing where to go.
Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is bc the arena is actually pretty decent. Nice seats, good view, feels smaller than similar arena's (Manchester). Found it neat how they put lids on your pints so you don't spill em.
As a foreigner I don't see the greatness of the arena, just the same as what you can get elsewhere. Nothing special really. British arena's seem to do it better in my opinion.
Also who the hell puts pepper on chips? Leave them plain and let the customer add condiments themselves.

Went to the shop to buy a shirt. The People working in the shop was unpolite and not helpful. Empty shop and 6 of them Just standing there. When i asked for hjelp they answered unpolite. Went without buying anything. Most unfriendly experience in New York

Expected long delays with vaccination, ID, ticket entry but couldn’t have been smoother getting in. Seats tight on my knees but for 21/2 hour show very tolerable. View was great from section 241 row 7. Took longer exiting than entry as everyone funnels to escalator/stairs

Clean and no obstructed views. Good sound at Billy Joel concert. Wish they’re video screens were larger. Escalators are off on exit so stairwells and stairs seem to take forever as crowd exits.

Have always wanted to go to MSG and was able to catch a Rangers game. Super easy to move around anywhere in MSG. Good options in food and drink. Excellent seats and views of the ice. Ushers very helpful.

Ur worker Kyra was excellent and nice she got me a T-shirt she is a great part of the blue crew
From little man

Madison Square Garden is an impressive venue for sporting and cultural events. One cannot estimate it’s magnanimity from the outside. Would certainly recommend to watch any event inside to anyone to get a good perception of this unique venue.

I went to see the Knicks play & had a great time. The seats were & view were great. Only downside was the price of beer/food & the long wait to get in prior to tip off but that's two issues that you get with most large venues.

Went to watch a Nicks game at this iconic sporting venue, we could only get tickets up in gods but still had a good view. First time ever at a professional basket ball game and the Nicks won after a bit of a poor run - great night out - another tick in the box.

During a short stay in NYC, I took my family to attend an ice hockey game between the resident team (Rangers) and the Minessota Wild!
Beautiful immersive experience in the heart of New York in a mythical lobby.
Reservations of seats on Vivid (not given because seats at the top - section 212 - cost me $215 each 😩). Normally, you get the seats on your smartphone via the Ticketmaster app except that the US version is not downloadable on French phones... so you have to go back through the main entrance on 7th Avenue, go through security and go to the dedicated counters so that they send you the seats by SMS. Don't forget your ID...
Interesting Mood, rather cozy / family and good child, far from the Mood of a football or rugby match but super nice. Plenty of junk food available to work on your diet during the match 😁

Saw Billy Joel at MSG in April 2024. Billy Joel is 11 out of 10 stars! He is the best! The venue at Madison Square Garden is a more of 3 out of 5 stars for me. We were in the upper bowl and the view was good and the sound excellent. We could easily see everything. The seats were exceptionally tight and small. There was minimal leg room. I go to a fair amount of concerts and the space felt tighter than other places I have been. What I really didn't love was the process of exiting the venue. It is always hard to exit an event because everyone is leaving at the same time, but this just felt very tight. I kept thinking how much trouble we would be in if there was an actual emergency and needed to exit. The escalators all died, so we took the side stairs and it was just cramped, slow, and not efficient. Maybe if it was an emergency we would have been faster, but it just freaked me out how bad it was trying to exit!

The best place if you can't find tickets online is to visit the ticket office as soon as you arrive a few days before if you can. We saved hundreds of dollars this way although the tickets were really high up it didn't stop us enjoying the game and there are screens all the way up. They do a t-shirt throw a few times but you won't be close enough if you sit further up than the 110 etc layer of seating. Subway to Penn station the best place to get off. We didn't eat but food looked ok.

It is advisable to tour the facilities and, above all, enjoy the explanations of the guides, very professional, people who really love their work and admire the place where they work. It is interesting to know everything behind such an emblematic place.

We attended the Knicks and Pistons game. I was very impressed with the inside of the arena. It was easy to navigate and our seats were comfortable. The food was pretty good. We all had the chicken baskets with fries. We were in the 400 level and had to walk far if we wanted anything other than popcorn and hotdogs. Every stand had the same selection. It would’ve been nice if every other had something else to offer. The lower levels for example had pizza along with the yummy chicken baskets. At this point, I enjoyed my time there, but it was our last stop that made our evening. We finished at a gift shop to take some Knicks items home to family. First off, all of the staff was incredibly friendly. They were all chatting and made us feel welcomed. Who stood out the most was Marcus (sp), he even dribbled basketball with my son for probably 15 minutes. He taught him better form and laughed with him. He was patient and genuine. He went way over and above what any employee would do. My son couldn’t stop talking about Marcus. Additionally, we wanted some Rangers gear and the staff happily got that for us. We will return to Madison Square a garden and are grateful for the experience that we had!!

It is vital to know the Mecca of sports and events in the world, it is impressive to know the history that it keeps in its walls and how dynamic it is, where on the same day you can see 2 different sports or a musical event, in a matter of hours.

We went for a hockey game. The crowd was enthusiastic.
The food options were okay. I did like the souvenir cup.
The seats were comfortable and not too cramped. There were odd TV sets along the front row of the upper sections that made no sense to me and just seemed distracting.

I had a really great time here watching the rangers. I would highly recommend this venue. I was slightly worried that I would have a bad seat as I got one of the cheap seats. Although it was high up, it was a great view. The people working there were very friendly. The only small issue was that it cost (including tip) 20 dollars for a can of cider. Overall, it was a great experience.

Went and saw a NY Knicks game here. Booking smooth although stadium was sold out, security was efficient, friendly and processed attendees with care and speed. Had a cheap ticket so up the back but appreciate fit TVs to allow you to relive the great moment of basketball. Note the escalators are tuned off when game finishes to be prepared to walk down white a few flights to exit!

My experience with Madison square on UFC 295 is great, entertainment on highest level of the world. but drinks prices on bar are insulting highest. 4 small cocktails and one beer cost me 125 dollars.
one single drink cost 20-25 dollars

We attended a hockey game at Madison Square Garden and the atmosphere was just overwhelming. Every minute of the game is perfectly marketed, from the exciting moves to the impressive show elements. The energy of the crowd was infectious and made the experience even more intense. Of course the drinks and tickets are quite expensive, but the whole experience was absolutely worth it!

We attended an ice hockey game with the NY Rangers. The seats are very comfortable. There are many food courts on all floors.

A amazing venue with world class performance by Rangers vs Bruins in the best Hockey League, NHL.
Splendid show and great amenities like food, beverages etc.
On the downside is the breathtaking prices of tickets, food and beverages but also the exit from the arena that was congested and slow.

Great venue, saw Elton John here on a last minute whim. Was wandering past with my good lady wife and noticed he was playing that night so popped in to the ticketmaster box office within and got last minute tickets at book value! How often does that happen!

I went to Madison Square garden for the first ever time on the 23rd January 2020, attending an MSG tour. The party consisted of around 10 people and 1 guide. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, describing things from a bet between Elton John and John Lennon to the roof for this iteration of the Garden. The tour left such a good impression that I decided to buy a ticket for the following night's basketball game between the Knicks and the Raptors.
I arrived at the game early where exclusive merchandise was available. It was dedicated to that evening's theme, Star Wars Night. The seat was easy to locate and had an excellent view despite being the cheapest seats available. Fellow attendees around me were kind and courteous and helped to provide and entertainment atmosphere throughout the game. During the night there are events such as dancing and competitions. I was fortunate enough to win a signed ball and the chance to go onto the court and collect it. In the process I was able to witness the view from courtside which only added to the whole experience.
An incredible night and I'm definitely going to see another game if I go back.

I know all motivational speakers say to follow your dreams and never give up but one of my major dreams was to come to a show here but I was very broke for a long time and they have strict security so it’s very hard to break in!! I happened to be born in 2003 and then this year I turned 20 and I asked my mom to make my life dream come true and she did!! I went here last night with my dad to see Patti Smith and the National and it was very fun!! I had to go up five flights of escalators to get to my seat which shows how big the arena is and then I was in a fancy section with plexiglass!! I could see the band well and it was a vibe!! The lady who was selling the beers was nice and may have secretly known about my obsession so she gave me free lemonade!! I hopefully will be back many times in the future!!

Our whole trip was based around the Billy Joel concert in March and it was phenomenal. The venue itself is huge, amazing, overwhelming, absolutely fabulous. We unfortunately didn't get back to see a sports match (our bad) but it'll be on our list for next visit. The venue is very clean and there are plenty of food and drink concessions. One of the best, if not the best, music venues I've ever been to.
Awesome sound, iconic place doesn’t disappoint
Billy Joel concert.
The sound and atmosphere was awesome, great to see the former artists listed inside and all the iconic moments in Madison Square Garden history.
