Very nice beach located on Manasota key, not the busiest beach which i personally like with great free parking

This is a wonderful beach! Have been here every day for å whole week during Easter. The air temperature is perfect this time of the year. The water was a bit chilly, but gradually warmed up during our stay. Sifted for sharks teeth along with many enthusiastic turists. It,s a fun activity! Walmart sells the "Florida snowshovel", a sifter to search for them. Works great! It,s a good idea to be there early, since the parking area fills up. Have fun!

I come here for many years in the winter month and I enjoy the beach and the new washrooms but it is hard to find parking in March and April

The beach is nice. The sand is not as white and does have a lot of rocks and seashells mixed in it which makes walking barefoot difficult. My mom and teenage daughter though had a fabulous time looking for shells to bring back. My mom did say that this is the best beach in the area to collect shells. In addition, they do have a picnic area, bathrooms and lifeguard station. Parking can be a little hard according to my parents, but since we went on a Tuesday it was not a problem.

If your looking to hunt sharks teeth or just want a relaxing day on the beach Manasota Key is the place for you.

I’ve been to another beach in Englewood and decided to see how Manasota Key is. Parking is free. Restrooms are clean and nice. It was July 4th, so the beach became crowded by 2 when I left. I spent about 3 hours there. Lots of families with kids. I like shell hunting. There were lots of shells, especially in the water near the shore. They also have picnic and BBQ facilities under cover.i would return.

This is one of my favorite beaches, there are more private secluded areas on the beach, as well as busy areas close to the life guard station. Shelling is good, many smaller shells and broken ones. Sharks teeth are fun to find, not large ones, they are small but a fun place to go and sift through the sand. There is a nice restroom and shower area for getting the sand off. Plenty of parking and handicap parking as well.
This beach can get quite busy so plan ahead.

Beautiful beach and great location. Was only able to stop here for about an hour after my flight got in that afternoon but first thing I saw in the water were some manatees! Great beach for shell hunting

Love this beach! Not overly crowded, lots of shark teeth and samm shells, and easy beach to walk as sand is smooth.

Nice beach without the all of the tourists around. Great place to search for some shark teeth if your patient.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have been on. It's kind of off the mainstream touristy areas.this is one of the reasons I like it so well. It's like having your own private beach.

My family went to this beach in June. It was a fantastic beach with plenty of space to spread out. The water is nice and blue/green and clear depending on the day. A couple days I looked for sharks teeth and found lots of them. I’d recommend this beach in a heartbeat. Nice spot! The parking situation was good too. The restroom facilities are nice for a public beach.

Good views and nice water. Plant your stuff further away from the walkways to get the most peace and quiet. Would go here again.

Beautiful beach to walk. Lots of great shelling. Yoga takes place here every morning and is very well attended. Great instructor - easy to hear.

I LOVE this beach!! (When there is no red tide, that is!) Of all of the Englewood beaches, this is my favorite. Not only is parking free but the beach is beautiful and usually not very crowded. The last time I was there though, they were working on upgrading the restrooms. Hopefully those are finished now. Be sure to bring your sifters and look for sharks teeth!

Just another great beach on the Gulf coast fun for families or couples. It has rest rooms and lifegaurds for your swimming security.

We went here on New Year’s Eve afternoon to take a stroll on the beach. It was quite crowded with people but we were able to keep socially distanced. We walked for about 45 minutes and along the way I found two small shark’s teeth. Nice clean beach with facilities.

this is a nice beach and wasn't crowded while we were there. The sand isn't white, so you need shoes to wear while walking on it as it burns your feet as it gets super hot. There are restrooms. We found lots of shark teeth here!

Beautiful beach with close, free parking and restrooms. Our group found hundreds of small sharks teeth in a few hours.

We love all of the beaches near Englewood. It's hard to pick a favorite one. Bring a beach umbrella and chairs. This is a wonderful place to watch the sunset, too.

I don’t want to tell to many people about this area
It’s a forgotten area in Florida in the Cape Haze
Peninsula old Florida at it’s best please don’t come

Very busy with Englewood and Stump Pass closed. Nice beach good facilities. Beware not to park in the boat and trailer parking lot on the south side of the road as they were giving out $72 tickets there yesterday if you parked without a boat trailer. Welcome to Manasota Key!

Well, this beach was as advertised. Even on a windier day at high tide we still found a good share of shark teeth. Parking can get very full by mid day on nicer days, so arrive early.

We love coming here because it is close to where we stay when in Venice. The shelling and searching for shark teeth are a hit. I like that there are restrooms that are super nice and there is a lifeguard.

This will be my Family’s 3rd year in vacationing at Beach Amore. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The owner is a joy to work with and does everything possible to make your visit special in every way. If you are looking for beautiful sunsets and a place where memories are made, look no further, it’s Beach Amore.

Take a drive along the key, under the canopy to reach Manasota Key Beach. Great beach for shelling, sharks teeth, sunning or swimming. Ample free parking and clean facilities.

Recently went with a couple of friends to hang out here fora few hours looking for fossilized shark teeth. We were not disappointed. We moved down the beach away from the crowds and moved into the water near the surf line, scooped up some shells and started looking. hard to believe, but it works. Look on the surf sand as well, but between the three of us we found over 50 teeth in a couple of hours while walking the beach and doing this.
The beach is nice and the tree line will provide a little shade for this who want it. The restrooms are nice and there is a shower to clean us afterwards.
There was not any fee to get into the beach area. Parking was a pain. We did not have to drive far, but I can see that being an issue on a weekend for certain. They do have an unloading area before you go park your car which is nice.
We enjoyed out few hours there looking for teeth.

Manasota Key Beach was a fairly typical beach that was relatively narrow so there wasn't a lot of space. We went on a Sunday and it was packed with people. We drove around for about 20 minutes trying to find a parking space and ended up parking in a neighborhood and walking because it was impossible to find a space. The beach was fine but not special and not worth the crowding and hassle. They do have nice restroom facilities.

The Beach was nice, but the town has not changed in 30 years. It is the town of storage facilities. Sarsota has so much more to offer.

Lots of parking. Great sunsets. Lots of opportunity for shelling and finding sharks teeth. We go here 4 to 5 times a month year around. We meet friends to enjoy the sunsets on a regular basis. People here are easy going and have never seen people out of control, loud or drunk. The area is kept clean and the feet showers and bathrooms are clean and maintained. This is usually are first choice when we want to go to the beach.

Manasota Key Beach has become one of our favorite places to go. It is such a nice beach. Not overly crowded and laid back. We find lots of shark teeth at this beach. Clean with nice showers to wash off in.

Excellent beach for families. Lots of free parking near the beach. No beach umbrella rentals at this beach!!! Lots of shark tooth digging and sifting going on here.

Have been to Manisota Key several times but finally had the chance to bring my daughter along for a ladies only beach trip. So laid back, great shelling, beautiful warm blue/green water.
Good local restaurants. One of my favorites places.

Stopped here after staying on Siesta Key for a week. It was a lot less crowded and the sand was a little difficult to walk on at times. However it still provided a great view.

Rented a house in Englewood within walking distance to Manasota Beach. Attended the morning yoga session. Sand is not as smooth as I thought it would be. Nice day spent at the beach with a family of 10

Quiet, not crowded, white sandy beach with life guard station and bathroom facilities... what more could you want?

Our family loves going to Shark Tooth Beach! Even though our kids are teens, we all love searching through the surf for shark teeth. This last trip we were able to find hundreds just washing up on the shore. If you've never been, it's a must-do! Parking is free, you can take alcohol on the beach, and the bathrooms are clean.

White sand, blue waters, sunshine await the visitor at Manasota Beach. This beautiful place on earth is the definition of paradise. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, Manasota Beach is mesmerizing, peaceful morning to night. Bring your lunch and beach chair and let her take you away.

This is a beautiful beach with nice restrooms, parking, showers, grills and pavilion s....BUT with this red tide and algae blooms it has been disgusting and dangerous to your health for the last month. There are dead fish everywhere and breathing the air is making people cough and sick. What a shame that this is ruining our environment and spoiling some of the most beautiful beaches in the country! I hope the politicians get their act together and fix this problem that starts in Lake O!

We always go to Manasota Key Beach. There is typically enough parking in the facilities are relatively new. The speech of the lifeguard stand for your protection. Nice soft sand and a gentle slope into the water.

In spite of the red tide we still enjoyed a walk and beautiful sunsets! This was a return visit for us and we'll be back again!

My fiancé and I enjoyed two months here and were surprised we had never heard of this beach before. It’s only a half hour south of Sarasota on a barrier island. There are no hotels. Half the island is Lee county (with lots of condos) and the other half is Sarasota County (with mansions, lush tropics & less crowds). Great for sea shells. hunting for sharks teeth, fishing, sun bathing & walking. Lots of friendly people too !

On a recent trip from NJ to Venice our niece from Tampa and her two boys took us to Manasota Key Beach to check out the area for shark teeth. My wife and I did most of our shark teeth hunting days over 40 years ago, so I spent most of my time walking this beautiful beach taking pictures. I was fortunate enough to get some pictures of newly hatched baby turtles making their way to the ocean. You can’t disturb the turtles in any way so I used a telephoto lens to take the pictures from a far distance. Seeing the baby turtles make it to the water safely made my day.

Gorgeous beach, very family friendly. Beautiful clean water. You can’t go wrong here. Clean bathrooms. Nice beach but with drinks & food.

Beautiful beach clean and all new restrooms. Had no idea how popular shark teeth were there. Everyone had what they call Florida snow shovels...lol beautiful beach to walk and enjoy the wonderful weather we had.

This is the closest beach to were we were staying. Went early on a Sunday because it gets quite crowded. I spent hours looking for shark teeth and other fossils and was not disappointed.

If looking for a great beach where you can walk for miles, this is it. We enjoyed our two visits to this beach and plan to go back next year.

Such a beautiful beach when red tide is gone. Used to be able to find shark teeth but more difficult now. Great place to watch sunset. Free parking

Good place to people watch. Nice beach. Getting onto the Key can take fairly long. Worth the wait. Restaurants are on site. I’ve brought my dog and sit at the back of the beach. Wasn’t bothered as dogs are not allowed. Will be back

Beautiful beach when there is no red tide. Today 7-30-18, beach is closed to swimming.. red tide is thick and air is foul.. mote aquarium has not updated beach report sine the 28th. Avoid this place today

Manasota beach is lovely. It is one of three beaches on the island, the northern most. There are facilities available and parking across the road.

Heard this was a great place to find fossilized shark teeth. We didn’t have any real tools/aides to help us but a bucket and hands did the trick.
Friendly people that shared information with us.
Red algAe was off the coast and you could see it in the water but not at shoreline. Made me cough a bit throughout the day.
Water temp was amazing at 78 degrees. Nice visibility too.

Nice beach, people spend time searching for sharks teeth. Croed some days and sometimes there is red tide .

Nice beach but it is quantity and quality of the shark teeth that make it special. Not only found thousands of small teeth but also a 3 in and a 21/2 in dissolved that are thousands of years old.Was there from 12 /1 /18 until 1/11/19 and had no red tide

We had a nice walk along the water about an hour before sunset. Still many people out - most seemed to be looking for sharks' teeth or perhaps shells. Struck up a friendly conversation with a lady hunting for sharks' teeth. Saw a fellow Packers fan. Nice outside shower area. I didn't use the restroom. There was adequate parking when we went.

Great beach to visit especially during the early evening for sunset and watching dolphins playing in the surf.

Sunset is amazing. Beautiful beaches filled with shells and shark teeth. Quiet beach town which is very relaxing. Water is very clear and clean. If you get up early, you can see dolphins swimming south.

I live on Venice beach and make the drive often to Manasota. A nice long beach and easy to walk on for miles. Pretty good parking and you don't have to pay for parking like you do at nearby Englewood Beach.

At last we have at least a temporary reprieve from Red Tide. Many parts of the Gulf Coast in SouthWest Florida have been afflicted by this respiratory irritant. Tropical storms keep washing away substantial portions of Manasota Key's beaches. The residents are not pleased and the visitors are getting cramped into narrower beaches. This is a non commercial area and the parking is free, there is at least one pavilion for families or groups to congregate and as others have stated, there are public bathrooms and handicapped parking spaces.

A lovely open, clean beach with soft white sand and plenty of shells to sieve through to find those prehistoric sharks teeth.

We chose this beach specifically to hunt shark teeth. The water was emerald green and calm. I could hardly resist jumping in. I wish I would have brought my snorkel gear as there were some people snorkeling. We found a few shark teeth but I know now that the bigger ones are in the water. Next time I'll bring a sifter.
There are a few restaurants across the street from the beach that have nice patios to grab a bite to eat.

We've been going here for years, very pleasant. Some places with music and food also within walking distance of public parking.

Grew up going to this beach and even though I have moved much further north I continue to bring friends and family here when they come from the north. The parking is so easy here (and free) and is a short walk to get to the actual water. Nice facilities! Highly recommend this beach. Across the street are several nice boardwalks.

Hundreds of rental signs lines the streets. Get there early like between 9-10am or there will be no parking at any of the beaches.

Also a very nice beach. Nice pavilionstomach and bathroom facilities. come Feb 13th for Fat Tuesday hot dog give away.

Its a great place to find shells and shark teeth. Not over crowded. Plenty of public parking. Really enjoyed it, would recommend water shoes, lots of shells may hurt your feet. There are also bathrooms, picnic tables, and rinsing showers available.

The beach is beautiful and the waves are as well. It wasn't too crowded and there was lots of room to walk. There wasn't a ton of parking.

Lots of free parking. Lifeguard on duty always a plus. Have nice restrooms and were really clean. Nice outdoor shower to freshen up to get the sand off of you before going back to your vehicle.

Manasota Beach was a very pretty beach especially for watching the sunset. Our biggest complaint is how busy it is. It was packed from early morning to sun down. The sharks teeth were ok as well. We had MUCH better luck at Caspersen Beach. Bigger numbers and bigger teeth in general. The amenities are the same at both places. Only differences we saw were the amount of people and the size and quantity of the sharks teeth.

Very nice and quiet beach. We going to this spot for several years now. Lot of sharkteeth, seen a manatee twice. Super!

Food! Great restaurants, my particular favorite was the Waverly. Low keyed community and friendly. Keep this place as special!

We visited this beach just to walk barefooted in the soft sand. Many people were swimming in the mild surf and it was a very pleasant place to be.

Beautiful beach, well maintained. Limited parking so weekends might be hard to find a spot. Good restaurants within walking distance.

This class was the best yoga class I ever took. The warmth of the sand was the perfect cushion for my knees after two total knee replacements. It starts at 8:30 every day of the year right on the gulf. So relaxing and perfect for everybody.

A gem. I walk from lifeguard station to The Pearl beach resort and back at least once per week. I've collected thousands of sharks teeth, all varieties and sizes. Hundreds of turtle nests dot the beach in the spring and summer. Manatees and Dolphins seen often. Sea birds are everywhere.

The sand gets extremely hot and the shore is covered in sea shells. Found it very difficult to walk.

So beautiful and clean. Bath house available with outdoor showers. Turtle nests were seen and marked. Found sharks teeth digging in the sand at the waters edge.

Englewood, blind pass, Casperson, Siesta Key are all great but this is my new favorite one! Nice amenities, clean beach. Lots of shark teeth. Free parking!

This is a beautiful beach with shells and lots of sharks teeth and not overly crowded. We were fortunate enough to find a room on this beautiful key but there are a couple of parks you can go to at both ends of the key to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and look for sharks teeth and shells.

We came by to check out the conditions since the red tide began. Glad to say that there is no smell or dead fish near the main beach in Manasota Key beach. People starting to come back and sit in the sun. Families are present and the beach is clean. There were several people shelling and looking for shark teeth. Seems like the worst is over and the beach is back. Lots of birds have come back as well. Enjoyable stroll in the clear sunshine!

This is a nice beach with nice bathroom facility and outdoor shower. There is life guard on duty. We came to this beach in hope to find some shark teeth. The beach is crowded but it’s also the weekend. There are lots of people looking for shark teeth. Some just beach combing and some use scooper to scoop up treasure at the water break. Some have quite a production with sand stiffer to help speed up the process. We just beach comb and found a few small shark teeth. Fun activity for the whole family and what is better than spending a day at the beach!

the beach is full of dead fish which have washed ashore. Some days the smell is awful. The water is polluted so no swimming. Sit on the beach and enjoy the sun if smell not too bad. The State of Florida needs to do something if they wish to continue having tourists visit.

This is our favorite beach. Unfortunately when we visited on August 4th, Red Tide was present. Dead fish were washing up onto the beach and you could see a few dead fish floating in the water. We stayed for just under 2 hours. We had to leave because we were coughing & sneezing. We then waited a few days and went back to walk the beach in the morning and Red Tide was still present. We didn’t stay. :( .

We visited several times when the weather permitted and learned on day one that you need a “Florida snow shovel “ In order to effectively seek the sharks teeth, you really need to invest in a tool at your local Walmart or souvenir shop that will help. At Walmart these are about $20. With a little practice you’ll be able to identify the sharks teeth easily. The beach can be a little sharp so consider bringing some water shoes if you plan on some serious shark tooth hunting. During our visit , we experienced thunderstorms each day, making the surf pretty rough most days . A great beach for hunting teeth. Not so great if your goal is simply swimming. Maybe it was just the weather that week. Great sand parking lot. Good bathrooms with outdoor shower to rinse off the sand .

This is a nice beach. Be sure to check the beach info, due to Rip Tides and Red Tides. Parking could be a problem.

We stopped here to check out the beach and we loved it. Beautiful beach and enjoyable place for a picnic. There are multiple picnic tables and restrooms available. It doesn't seem to be as crowded as other beaches we visited. We would love to go back again for another enjoyable experience.

We took our two, young grandsons, visiting from Virginia, to hunt for shark teeth. We found some tiny ones. Other beach goers did respect social distancing. Bathrooms were relatively clean. It was nice to have showers and lower sprays to wash off sand.

Beach looks great! Last year was rough with the red tide that effected south Florida but this year beach and water pristine!

Our stay at Turtle Bay Condos was laid back and fabulous. The facility is very well maintained. Managed, appointed and located. We had lots of room, every need was anticipated and our contact was a great host. Nearby restaurants offered every choice. Beach access and parks were awesome. Exploring other beaches was also fun. The pricing and neighborhood here was just our style.

We went to Manasota Key last year on vacation with friends. We had no idea what to expect, honestly we had never even heard of it. It truly is a hidden gem, so beautiful with miles of beach to walk on. We stayed right on the beach. The sunsets were beautiful and their were always lots of shells and shark's teeth to collect. Highly recommend.

While at gulf coast in Englewoid area is Manasota beach..Stump Pass.
Easily accessible and typically you can find a parking spot

My parents live in the Englewood area and we have gone to this beach for years. It's a beautiful beach, but the crowds and parking situation have gotten out of control. A few months ago, the parking area on the other side of the street was paved and lined. We were very excited because we figured we could go to the beach without worrying about not being able to find a parking spot. Don't park to the left of the bridge!!! It's for boat/trailer parking only, but the signs are not obvious, especially when there are quite a few cars parked in the lot. We came back to our car in time to find a $25 parking fine for us and the many other cars parked there.
Although this is a beautiful beach, we'll think twice before going back. Unless you get there by 9am, parking can be impossible to find. And there's nothing worse than loading up for a day at the beach and having to turn around and go home!

I love this beach because it is not super crowded. You can find many shells and shark teeth. You can spot dolphins on any given day!

This is one of the best kept secrets in Florida! Beautiful white sand and usually lots of shells. Great place for finding sharks teeth without the crowds.

I walked from the public beach down to Blind Pass, then back up to where the Venice Ferry lands. I encountered maybe 30 people and its “The Season”, the supposed busy time of the year!
This beach exudes solitude and relaxation. Very clean and the sunsets are spectacular! Low tide exposes shells equal in numbers and splendor to that of Sanibel. A shell seekers glory!

We were in town for a week and wanted to try the various beaches in the area. This beach is nice - lots of parking, facilities, and a large wide beach with plenty of room between the parking lot and the water. The sand is very dark - probably from the ground up shark's teeth that can be found along the shoreline. But the darker color makes it SUPER hot on a sunny day - we were running back to the parking lot when we tried to do it barefoot! The water is great here - clean shoreline, no big rocks. Parts of the beach are hard to walk on due to areas of heavy shells, but for the most part it is beautiful sand. This turned out to be one of our favorite beaches on our trip. Don't forget to come out here after dinner - the sunsets are beautiful!

Thank goddess the beaches are now open. My kids love the beach as well as I do. My kids have been on edge since covid19 and My husband and I have tried our best to keep them occupied and now things are slowly reopening. The beach is beautiful as well as the sunsets they also have lock n key across the street

While I was here in March, I came to look for shark teeth for my grandkids. I found the beach cozy and close to home. Since I’m a senior, I was looking for a beach that had a shorter distance to the water. It was much easier to navigate than some of the other beaches. I also liked the sidewalk that had shells and shark teeth embedded in it. When the family came down in April, they came here to look for more shark teeth and had a lot of fun doing it.

Get there early , take a long walk on the beach , Pick up shark teeth along the way . Bring a friend and enjoy the day .

As with most beaches get there early to park and set up your spot on the beach! The sand is a medium grain, with some darker softer spots.
If you’re going to the beach be sure to save some time to drive the key between Englewood and Venice!

We love this beach and it is one that we visit every year when we spend timeceith our family from up north. It's still a chilly time of the year to go in the water but that's just my opinion, I'm a Florida girl so going into 65 degree water is not my idea of a fun beach day. But plenty of people are in the water weather it's cold or not. This beach also has a lot of shells and all kinds of sharks teeth. They have facilities, shower areas to rinse off, handicap and free parking (that fills up quickly on beautiful days) and a place to put your boat or jet ski in the water. It's a great beach!

My first time here and a very nice little Island. Can only Park at the park for a fee $0.75 an hour. Quite a few little cute restaurants across from the beach!

Great beach to walk on. Plenty of free parking. There are also restrooms and an outdoor water shower to wash off the sand. Also a great place to search for shark teeth.

Was happy to make it to Manasota Key beach, as was unable to visit last year due to hurricane Ian. Had to make a diversion this year to Port St Lucie due to hurricane Idalia. Manasota Key beach had some discoloration and alot of seaweed post hurricane. Blind pass has lots of sharks teeth and shells post hurricane. Lots of people visiting beach, post Idalia.

We enjoyed long walks on the beach without the regular seasonal crowd. Probably more locals than tourists. Loved it. GOOD PACKED sand which was easy on your ankles/feet to walk on.

My daughter's wedding was held on the beach- lovely- not crowded. Everything was arranged with The Waverly- an excellent venue. Highly recommended The Waverly and Katie is an excellent event coordinator.

This is the worst experience of my entire life. Don't wast your time a hundred mile drive for nothing.

It’s mostly sand but there’s a stripe of all-shells that’s sort of hard to walk on. That being said, there’s stuff to be found everywhere. As I sat in my beach chair, I could sweep my hand around and find 2 or 3 sharks teeth every time I put my chair down all week. I give this beach a 5-star because of the interesting stuff to find and the fact that it’s very accessible and not crowded at all. There are sandier beaches and there are more popular beaches but I really liked this one because it was relatively quiet even during an in-season week.

Lots of parking and a great spot for sharks teeth. Restroom pavilion is well kept up. Don't have to walk far to get away from the crowds as everyone tends to plop down as soon as they get to the water.

We visited yesterday for a walk on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was very busy with many people looking for Shark's teeth .We had an enjoyable walk. Wonderful facility with lifeguards. It is extremely convenient to us.

We had a wonderful day. Searching for shark teeth.beautiful beach great sand. Bathrooms were ok. We found cool shells and over 50 teeth

Lovely, clean beach, good parking, food and restaurants nearby. Benches, sunscreen dispenser, convenient to parking and food

This is a great beach for sharks teeth hunting. We found 1,450 in 2 1/2 days with two people searching the shoreline. I was amazed at how many were there. We didn't sift, but many others there were. We really liked the facilities at this beach. The bathrooms were clean. There was a large shaded pavilion with plenty of picnic tables, outdoor showers to wash feet and gear, a water bottle refill above the water fountain, and close plentiful parking. We will be back!

A small convenience store and "boutique nearby. Sun and sand, what more do you need. Walkable beach.

I live here year round. This is the first Summer that we have suffered with Red Tide for more than 4 weeks now!

One of the things we wanted to do while in the are. Took our chairs and Sub sandwiches to watch the sunset. Beach was full of people but not crowded. Great time.

The Mote Marine website is wonderful for checking daily beach conditions for Red Tide. The day we went the water was clear and there was no respiratory irritation. Beautiful beach and great for finding sharks teeth in the sand.

If you are into shelling this beach is for you. You can spend a day shelling and find some rare gems. Currently having one of nature’s pranks. Red Tide is awful but as always will eventually go away. If you are into sunsets, this is the place

My husband and I brought our 9 year old son and a 15 year old Thai exchange student to Manasota Key between Christmas and New Years. We spent countless hours on the beach and came home with hundreds of fossilized shark teeth. There are limited locations where these can be found, and especially so easily!

This beach stretches for quite awhile. It's not hard to find virtual solitude if you're willing to walk a little further than the majority of the crowd likes to go. Sand is perfect - good for walking, kicking back and building sand castles. Finding sharks teeth is the cherry on top! Looking for them can become an obsession! You're also likely to find sand fleas (mole crabs or sand crabs). They look a little creepy but are harmless - they can be used for bait but the birds LOVE them!

We took a walk along this beach after eating at a local bar. The laid back atmosphere of Manasota Key along with clean, soft sand was perfect for an evening walk. This isn't Siesta Key, but offers more of a laid back, romantic, family , low key atmosphere. Is one of my favorites now.

Good people, please stay away from Manasota Beach and the rest of South West Florida for that matter.Your health is at risk if you go there. For the record, I live 1/2 mile from Manasota Beach and I wouldn't set foot there without boots and a respirator at the very least. We have been cursed with a TOXIC algae bloom which has decimated the wildlife (countless tons of fish, bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, birds, and our beloved manatees). Ask yourself, if the TOXIC algae has done that, what will it do to you and your children. The so called government of State of Florida currently has a marketing campaign to lure unsuspecting tourists to the area. Although I have great sympathy for the citizens and businesses that rely on tourist dollars, to risk the human health for the almighty dollar is unimaginable. This is no joke!
No doubt some have read my review on other travel sites as I feel that it's my civic to warn my fellow humans . Obviously, it is your choice not to heed my warning but rest assured that you do so at your own peril.

This was our last stop as we traveled Manasota Key, This had a good selection of picnic pavilions and there were good changing/bathroom facilities. Again there was a w walk down to the beach. Again, it was not good for strolling in the water, but great for swimming, shelling, sunbathing and enjoying the day. There were no concessionaires that we saw. It's a wonderful west coast Florida beach.

Nice beach to chill good facility's, not to busy, short walk from carpark. Again gets busy so get up early or prepare to wait a bit.

Free parking across street from the beach, clean restrooms, easy beach access. Lots of smaller shark teeth. Yoga offered Mon-Fri at 8AM and 9AM for donation $2-10. The 9AM yoga is a bit more advanced than the 8AM.

The water is a beautiful turquoise blue and warm. It was not very crowded. They also had rinse off facilities and decent parking.

Fantastic beach for families. Not too crowded, great sunsets and easy surf. Bring your umbrella, a boogie board and some sand pails.

Red algae bloom made it unbearable to be at the beach with the dead fish, couldn't breathe and left almost immediately. The beach itself is pretty perhaps will come again another time.

This is the closest beach for us...about four miles. But, we have at least five others within 30 minutes. Manasota is a beautiful beach with a large, free parking area plus a separate lot for handicapped individuals. We find that there are always cars coming and leaving so don't get frustrated. You'll find a spot, even during "season." There is a lifeguard on duty and restrooms. There are outdoor shower stands for hosing off top to bottom, or just your feet and your chairs before heading to the car.

Friend told us about this neat beach where you can hunt for prehistoric shark teeth! we had a blast sifting through the sand in search of these little bits of history, alongside many others doing the same. The beach very nice (but HOT) - water clear and gorgeous.

Pristine beach with wonderful amenities. Huge parking lot. Clean facilities. Life guards. Showers outside, picnic areas. The prefect place for a glass of wine and a sunset.

The beach is filled with dead fish and mammals, including loggerhead turtles and dolphin. Red tide is beyond control, being fed by releases from Lake Okeechobee and runoff from agriculture. Worst it has been in years, has caused illness in some including bronchitis and pneumonia. Many of the BnB's are NOT offering refunds. You cannot walk on the beach without a face mask- and wear shoes, fish bones are sharp, also be careful of the maggots erupting from the sand, they love all the death along the shore.

Englewood Beach is great! Loved the Beach Yoga class every morning (yes, 7 days a week). Such a great way to start the day, waves, sand, sun and fresh air! And, cue the dolphins, just as we were setting up 3 playful dolphins put on quite a show for us in thus day! #beachyoga great for ages!

Lovely clean beach, no tourists, no cafes but great sand lovely warm sea.
The best thing we enjoyed was sifting through the sand and finding sharks teeth, quite addictive, make sure you have plenty of sun lotion on as time can go by quickly.

I've been coming to Englewood Beach, Manasota Key, and Venice Beach for 15 years each summer and this is the worst Red Tide ever. The sneezing and coughing begin in the parking lot and don't dare go onto the beach as this is a serious health problem. Don't believe any beach report, they are dated and inaccurate and seems they purposely understate the condition. The red flag on the beach has been raised several times due to this problem (even though not meant for this type of warning and there is a separate smaller red flag they also displayed). Nearby beaches in Manasota Key, Englewood Beach and Nokomis Beach are all impacted. Take this seriously! Appears Lido Beach in Sarasota and Bradenton Beach have mostly been spared but Lido still gets unexpected contamination. Don't subject you and/or your family and guests to this health problem and don't believe beach reports.

Its a gorgeous day, but watch out for Lawn Service companies that park out on the road. It can turn that drive to admire the surroundings into a dangerous trip.
Every once in a while you get a glimpse of the ocean or doppled sunlight between the trees

Lots of sharks teeth on the beach and in the water. The water is tougher than siesta key, but still clear. Bring chairs, as there are none available to rent. There are restrooms, but did not see any showers.

Beautiful beach. Plenty of free parking and bath houses. You can walk for miles. Shark’s teeth and shells galore.

The beach is difficult to walk on barefoot, so wear sandals or tennis shoes. We found many shark teething enjoyed the beach for walking.

My teenage kids had a blast here. They were looking for shark's teeth and were not disappointed. I loved the beach, the parking, and the drive through down the island to get to this beach. Definitely a good spot to spend a few hours or a full day for a family.

shells shells and more shells!
great beach, beautiful gulf waters and there is a life guard on duty most of the day

Nice beach with good, free parking and public facilities. We found a lot of fossilized shark teeth with moderate effort - take something for sifting sand. Other beach goers were friendly and there was a family-like atmosphere. Breathtaking sunset!

We vacationed here for 4 days but was disheartened to see the Florida waters green, is this the fall out from up North where the red tide killed thousands of fish and made the ocean toxic? Will check for this before we come here again!

Decent facilities, rather small beach with very course sand. The water was beautiful and a pleasant temperature and we did find several shark teeth.

Real nice beach lifeguard on duty at the beach also. Real good place to find sharks teeth. Play me a parking. Also, handicap parking.

The Manasota Key beach was very beautiful and we found a lot of sharks teeth while we were there.
And plenty of shells to choose from

A model park for all communities! Attractive lifeguard and bath area, beautiful grills and tables. Plenty of parking and access to a wide beautiful beach.

We were there in December while some storms were moving through. The waves were HUGE! Walking on the beach was almost dangerous. Did find a few shark teeth though right on the beach. Parking is free here which was awesome. I would definitly try again when in the area.

Get there early or in later afternoon to ensure you find a parking spot. The parking is free which is amazing, but limited, be sure not to park in the boat lot or along the roads (I’ve heard the tickets are $70+). Very nice bathroom facilities and a place to rinse the sand off your feet. The beach is relatively small versus some of the others I’ve explored on the gulf side, but has a great amount of shark teeth for any enthusiast. Sand is a little grainy and the waves can pack a punch but it’s a great place to spend a day.

Great for shelling. Stump Pass is wonderful, but the amount of shells varies from each time you go. There can be literally mounds of shells one day, and very few the next. But the beach is clean and great for swimming, walking, or shelling

The best beach in the area! Parking an be a challenge as the day goes on. Excellent facilities, life guards and shark teeth aplenty! Great place for a romantic sunset.

It really is a great beach. Bath house is awesome. Plenty of parking. It is a little expensive, but the money seems to used to keep things up.

This beach offers free parking, well mantained and clean restrooms etc. The beach is clean, only natural remains, no cans etc.
You may do quite long walks on the beach. This year the inpact of the red-tide was modest. It wasn't croweded all the day we visited this beach.
Good for families.

Never feels crowded, nice clean bathroom, outdoor & bathroom shower to wash sand off. Large parking area. Watch dolphins, skates, crabs, schools of fish, sailboats, and even fish. Find sea shells & shark teeth while strolling on the beach! A safe place for families to enjoy a great time at the beach!
Great sunrise & sunset watching!

Nice laid back area, other than the beach, which is nice, not a whole lot to do but the traffic is minimal compared to other areas like Ft Meyers Beach

Nice beach, good place to find sharks teeth. Nice changing facilities and pavilion with grills and picnic tables

We live in Venice, and getting to this beach is so much easier and faster to get to than Venice beach. The beach is not a far walk from the *free* parking lot, and on this busy Saturday we went did not have a difficult time finding a space. There are restroom facilities, and areas to rinse off afterward. It was somewhat of a challenge to find a spot because there were many there, but we bring a ton of stuff to the beach and didn't feel like walking down further. The beach waters are a lot more calm than Casperson beach (Venice) and it is our favorite spot to go to now.

A nice big beach where locals hunt for shark’s teeth. We found at least a handful during the couple of hours we were walking along the beach. A nice beach for swimming, picnicking, relaxing, watching the sunset!

This clean beach does have a lifeguard. Lots of shells & some sharks teeth. Water was clear, waves were fun.

Great beach with restrooms, a lifeguard station parking is across the street with a bit of a walk during season.

Beach is well attended and relatively clean. Parking is easy for both mobile and handicapped. Bathhouses and rinse-off spray areas for removing sand. Great viewing of sunsets.

We took a trip over to the beach and it was beautiful as usual. Wonderful facilities with convenient parking. Lifeguard on duty. The people on the beach were spaced well for the Covid Protocol. Lot's of handicapped parking very conveniently placed. A wonderful location to visit.

This beach is our favorite in Sarasota county! Not only is it beautiful...it tends to be less crowded, it is more natural and the shark teeth and shell hunting is fantastic. No matter what time of day we go, we can always walk far enough to be a bit isolated. Oh...did I mention the sunsets!

Manasota Beach is a dream for fossil collectors. You can hike along a beautiful beach and collect shark teeth and shells. In about two hours we found over 100 teeth.
What more could you want....

Lots of parking. Boat ramp across the street. There are picnic tables and grills and a pavilion and a changing/bath building at the entrance. A beautiful place to watch the gorgeous sunsets. Usually not horribly crowded. Close to my home and takes about 5 minutes to get there!

We usually bike along the beach road heading south from Blind Pass south the Waverly or Lock n Key restaurant . Even on a busy day, the beach is accessible in most locations. Great fun people watching and hunting for shark teeth!

Manasota Key Beach is great for whatever beach activities you want to enjoy. Whether it's shelling or looking for sharks teeth you can't go wrong.

Beautiful beach. Not crowded during the week. Lots of shelling opportunities and great walking. A happy place for sure!

This beach has tons of shells and we saw dolphins several times. There is a charge for parking and the lot is full at times. Close to a store for snacks and swimming supplies.

Sad to say the surf line was covered with dead fish. I won't be going in the water. Glad we have a pool.

We recently visited this beach for the first time. It is clean with beautiful views. Great place to enjoy a relaxing day and watch the sunset.

great beach, away from the crowds of other beaches. accessible to Venice and Englewood. Walking the beach , looking for shells - terrific

This beach is easy to find. It's free to park, there's restrooms and foot showers. The sidewalk is covered in shark teeth. This is where we find the most shark teeth, sorry to say this yr was a bad yr. With all the storms the beach was covered in shells. Went back a few days later and because of the high winds the tide had taken out all the shells. The wind was so strong it was hard to walk on the beach. Please realize that most days this beach is nice and if you look you will find shark teeth. We did even with the bad weather. Yes these are real, husband found the big one!! It's bigger than a quarter.

Nice to walk on and plenty of parking. Easy access to the pavillion that has bathrooms and places to wash the sand off of your feet and suits.

Manasota Key beach is secluded and generally not crowded. There’s parking with reasonable walk to the beach .the sand is comfortable and shell or shark tooth hunting can be fun . There no fee to use the beach and the beach road is a delightful drive .

Clean beach in both directions. Very busy during peak season so get there early to get a parking space. Stay for the sunsets.

We found lots of shark teeth but the sand is so-so. It was difficult to walk into water due to shells.

Several visits with family and friends. Clean and quiet beach. Good water quality and great fun finding prehistoric shark teeth. Clean restrooms and FREE parking. Best beach outside of Naples and Siesta Key town beach.

This is a nice beach. Free yoga on the beach in the morning. There were at least 20 to 25 people there. Looked like they were all enjoying. Lots of shells and sharks teeth to pick up. Restrooms and changing stations also available. Rinsing stations also..Some parts of the day could be crowded depending especially if its the weekend.

Clean, natural beach. We were there in September and it was not crowded. No views of big buildings - just ocean, sand, sun! Plenty of parking and they have showers. Our new favorite beach although some beachgoers warned us that during "season" it is wall to wall people.

This is my favorite beach. It’s easy to access, has free parking, isn’t too crowded (compared to high season at other Florida beaches), has a beautiful sunset, nice bathrooms, multiple access points to the ocean, clean sand, lots of sharks teeth and just fun! This is my top choice for beach day!

My Honey Bee and me were down in Venice working on her house; we decided to relax for a spell and listen to the waves. Manasota Beach is about a 10 minute drive from her place and is devine; parking is close to the water, facilities are clean, and the dreamy wide beach goes on forever. Check it out if when you can; if I see you I'll point out the Beach Yoga class, or buy you a beer! ENJOY!

one of the best places to look for teeth. beautiful, uncrowded beach. amazing sunsets. easy parking at the public lot.

We are new at shark tooth hunting and this beach quickly made me an addict! My husband and I always collect seashells from all the beaches we visit, but now we have a new hobby and I LOVE IT!!! I love this beach, and I quickly fell in love with this whole Venice area. Truly a beautiful place to visit, but you won’t want to leave!

Enjoyed a wonderful January day at the beach, collected shells and found quite a few shark teeth! the facilities are nice, and parking is convenient.

Not too many young kids or teenagers here, teens might get bored, the beach is quiet and very clean, we rented a condo here but beware some of the residents are not at all friendly, especially the ones who reside in LaCoquina they’re like a herd of junkyard dogs all mean and grumpy, we stayed there last year and even though it was beautiful I do not recommend that place to anyone, this year we chose another place (sunrise) and so far it’s been wonderful everyone is pleasant and genuinely nice. There are plenty of birds and water scenery to take pictures, and beautiful sunsets

We were checking new places out along the Gulf Coast and this was a spot that will be regularly visited by us in the future. The beach offered both shells and shark teeth and we had a great time for the couple of days we visited.

My son and his father went to the Yankees and Rays game in Charlotte Sports Park on a Sunday, so my other son and I decided to drive to a beach just 30 minutes away. I read all the reviews, and new it had the potential of being crowded. If you like crowds, and picture the Jaws scene at Amity Island, you’ll love this beach. The sand is not white and soft like Coquina Beach or Ponce Inlet on the Atlantic side. The sand as everyone said is brown, and very gritty. The ocean is blue, but it drops quickly. If you have small children they can’t walk out to their knees and wade and play, as again it quickly drops. The parking is free, but limited, and I guess we got their late at noon. I have been to much prettier beaches in Florida where the sand is soft, and you feel alone on the beach, and this beach is not one of them. You do need to buy a sifter to find the shark teeth, you will not be able to do this with a bucket or by hand. My 10 year old son was quite mad at me, because I was not properly equipped with the proper sifter to find teeth... it’s definitely a science. Overall this was an average beach, and we will not be coming back again.

A group of us friends drive down to Englewood beach on Manasota Key from Anna Marie Island for a day. First visit there but it certainly won’t be my last. It is a beautiful beach, the sand isn’t as nice as Siesta key or Anna Marie island but it’s more shelly with lots of sharks teeth. We found over 1200 combined (8 of us) the water was nice, some big waves that day so couldn’t go in it but it is definitely a little slice of heaven. We had to pay to park but the restrooms at the main beach were nice & clean.

The shoreline is full of shark teeth and shells. Free parking and lovely fountain for washing feet when you are finished. Rest rooms too. Not overly crowded and so nice to be in the sun!

We found some sharks teeth. Not a great shelling beach. Lots of sand for everyone to set up their umbrellas & enjoy the beach.

Very nice beach for just about anything you would want to do beach related. Nice easy stroll or lay in the sun. Collect some shells or just relax. Plenty of parking.

Great beach. Free parking and public restrooms. The beach is very well maintained. We were told it’s one of the best places to find shark teeth. Our kids found gobs of shark teeth. We can’t wait to go back.

I'm lucky enough to live within minutes of Manasota Beach and it is a treasure. Able to walk for miles, best track is north to the point, about 4 miles. Gorgeous oceanfront homes and sand dunes line the walk. Swim, shell, excursion to the sandbars enjoy nature at its best in Englewood, Florida. P.S. Lemon Bay Park is a great local park on the inter-coastal water way about 15 minutes away. Pine hardwood hammock and boardwalk through the mangroves makes a great accompaniment to the beach.

So much sun and sand. An excellent area to watch sunsets, play in the sand and enjoy a peaceful day.

Living in Florida we get to enjoy the beach life a lot. This beach is a top contender. It was a bit crowded and parking scarce, but once you see this water....it's worth it!

This is a great beach. Beautiful sand and a gentle slope. There are showers and changing facilities with plenty of local shops and restaurants.

It is a very private area and beach and close to home. Very clean, not over crowded!! I love being in this area, not touristy at all.

Very nice beach. Found many shells and also shark's teeth. We walked for a couple of miles on this beach. It has a lot of shells. You could walk along without water shoes. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Saw a nest with a mama Osprey. And a good sized turtle wandering around!

Love the mana AOTA beach beautiful sunsets and the beach is one of a kind. Beautiful waves and water is crystal clear and very blue. We love taking family there

Beach was nice, clean, easy to get to, quiet and free parking.
Not to packed for June.
Avoid the red tide times as there are quite a large amount of dead fish.
If you have asthma it will affect you.
I am healthy and had a continuous throat irritant, most of our group did.

Nice beach and board walk area...plenty of parking - but you do have to pay - can use an App. Long beach for plenty of walking.

Numerous ocean front houses are for sale. The gulf laps at the ugly rocks brought in to protect wealthy home owners property. Beach renourishment is a farce that DOES NOT WORK. Google Orrin Pilkey, Duke U prof, and read this scientist's studies. Stay away from this area of Florida. The red tide was so horrific I couldnt stay to take photos. Stench horrific. I'm a native and love this area. My heart is broken. The lost beach can NEVER BE BROUGHT BACK.

Manasota Key Beach is in Sar asota County but I believe it is in So. Venice or Englewood Fl. When traffic is so bad on both coasts in the winter time the Key is still very manageable. Manasota Key has free parking and plenty of room for parking at Manasota Key Beach.

Nice family beach with lifeguards & clean restrooms. Free parking and a short walk to the beautiful Gulf & Lemon Bay.

Nice quiet beach. Perfect for all ages. We enjoyed the sunset walks and finding sharks teeth!! Bathrooms are close and easily accessible. Lots of parking.

We visited in April and the weather was very nice. We found a lot of nice shells and a few sharks teeth. We later went out to buy a sand shovel as we saw this was the way to find many treasures. I am anticipating another trip to try our sand shovel and find more sharks teeth. Beautiful beach and not overcrowded.

Visited this beach on the weekend, while on a family vacation. I was expecting it to be very crowded, and was surprised at the low traffic. The sand is nice and there were a lot of sea shells washed up for the kids to pick through. We found a bunch of small sharks teeth. The bathroom facilities appear to be new and are very convenient.

We came in the morning during low tide to look for shark teeth, we found a bunch of small ones. We had so much fun looking we decided to go back to look for more in the evening and also watch the sunset. This is a beautiful well maintained beach.

I’m a pretty serious/avid roadie and found my several cycling trips up and down Manasota Key to be safe and scenic. Probably not as safe for group or family rides as the shoulder is often very narrow but for a single experienced rider it was pretty amazing.

We have been coming to this beach and surrounding beaches for 30 years. It has always been my favorite place to come. However, now that the secret is out it is extremely crowded everyday. The parking is maddening. Looking for a less crowded beach next year. I miss the good old days when there were fewer people and more sharks teeth.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BEACH.. Its an almost private Oasis. Warm soft sand, sound of the waves and excellent facilities.

Shark's teeth can be found if you search closely the water's edge as high tide washes back and forward.

Free parking. Even though they expanded parking it still fills up. Unfortunately everyone has found this gem. You must go early during peak season. Even though busy you need only walk 10 minutes in either direction to get away from the crowds. Best beach for sharks teeth.

Is you are looking for shark teeth or lots of shells, this is the place to go!! Kept me and my 15 year old daughter busy for hours trying to find shark teeth! We found some too!!

A bit off the beaten path with lots of parking. The beach itself is shelly and you'll find a number of people hunting for shark's teeth. If you are into those kinds of things this is the place to go. Much easier to get to than fighting the traffic at Sanibel. But I found better beaches to sunbathe and walk the beach. I found the sand very loose and difficult to walk in. On the plus side, there are bathrooms.

Spent a month at Englewood Beach Villas on Manasota Key. Great place to relax, with great beaches on the Gulf, plenty of local restaurants; and a feeling of "old florida". Great place to find sharks teeth. If you don't like the congestion of Naples/Fort Myers, go a little further north to find your florida dream vacation.

I look forward to 9:00 Saturday mornings when I can join a yoga class on Manasota Key Beach. The instructor, Louis, guides the participants in a 30+ minute workout that targets different muscle groupings each week. The surf & sand provide a perfect environment for meditation and exercise.
Additional classes are offered Monday through Friday, 8:00 & 9:00 am. Donations appreciated to help cover expenses for reserving beach time. It's a wonderful way to start the day!

This is my favorite beach on the gulf. We spent a few days here with our 3 children. Very clean and relaxing beach. Lots of shells and shark teeth.

Very convenient beach. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and easy walk to the beach. Beautiful setting. It can get crowded on weekends but plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.

Had a great morning just walking the beach with my husband. We walked and talked for a long time away from the crowds.

Great family beach. Clean restrooms and showers. Shark tooth hunting is a must. Parking is a breeze with the app on your mobile device.

We were lucky enough to stay on Manasota Key Beach. We walked it every day of our trip. So enjoyable! Talk about stress relief! Sand was clean, did not have to wear shoes. A lot of shells and shark teeth too! We would love to go back some day.

Great beach where we found sharks teeth right up in the sand, didn't even have to dig in the water. Clean beach, clean bathrooms.

Lovely beach, it's a great place to find shark teeth, and shells. You can even find sea glass if you are lucky. Great place to watch the sunset too.

Family of three here to see beautiful sunset. Very clean beach. I really like the view. Come here with large groups or with small groups-this attraction works for all numbers.

We were staying close by on the island and frequented this beach quite often while there. Ample parking, clean facilities, clean beach. At this time of year there are quite a lot of "zombie shell, teeth seekers" with their tools bending over and crawling around the surf. We are serious walkers and this beach provided a long, wide beautiful beach to escape most of them!

Yes you can find sharks teeth on this beach. I did not find any great big ones but they are big enough to show off to family and friends back home!!
Melody Baldwin

Just spent 2 weeks in Englewood based on the mainland side of Manasota Key. Yes the Red Tide was present but not as bad as it has been in previous weeks and we were able to go to the beach with only minimal dead fish present and no respiratory irritation (we had 1 day in 2 weeks where you could smell the fish from the villa we were staying in)
We went to the Manasota Key beach on several evenings to watch the sun set, as did many people. It was different each night depending on the cloud cover and general weather but was very relaxing
I can imagine this beach being very pleasant given it's not as popular as some of the others close by but that you can park for free with easy access and some basic facilities to make your stay more pleasant

Not to many people at that time, we know it as a middle beach, I think people like public beach because are restaurants around and snack cars, recommended.

Nice beach, in front of main pavilion and bathroom's the beach guy has umbrellas and chairs for rent

Great place to stop and have an awesome beach day. We only happened on Blind Pass Park because we were chasing sunshine 🌞. What a great place to stop and enjoy the Florida coast.

Sunset This is a great place to go for a sunset they can be very crowded but during the day the beach in the water are beautiful they’re covered areas with grill so you can barbecue and have a picnic. This area is very safe and a great place for families with children there are a lot of restaurants in the area

This tends to be a very quiet, beautiful beach with gentle, warm water. Dolphins are a regular attraction. I am talking about the part of the beach that is not the main public beach in the center of the Key.

Great beach with ample parking. Fishing on the beach or in the inward waterway nearby.
Good beach for sunning, swimming or long walks. Shells and sharks teeth are abundant

A great beach. Since we are very interested in shark teeth it was just fantastic for us. Already during the walk without a sieve we could find some teeth. Beautiful shells and snails can also be found.

LOVE this beach. If you are looking for shark's teeth you will always find plenty here. Nice sand, free parking, showers for your sandy feet, and clean bathrooms. Can get crowded.

During season get there early 8:00 to 9:00 am. Parking is limited. Lots of clean sand. Great area to swim. Bring your own chairs, umbrella, towels, etc.. No food or beverage service. Enjoy!!!

We like this beach a lot and especially with the changing rooms adjacent. Will always plan a visit each time we are in the area.

Wanted to explore a New beach and explore someone I've never been. This just happened to be closest beach to my location. Found some great shells and not busy.

This is the second time we’ve been there and we have enjoyed it The water is beautiful, wildlife is abundant and of course the shells and sharks teeth !

We went on a slightly cloudy day that warmed up rapidly after 12 noon… the parking lots are very adequate and there are picnic tables, and showers & bathrooms at the handicapped parking area. There are also other beach accesses but with no showers. The sand getsVERY hot after 12noon so be sure to bring shoes! The waves were fun today but a park ranger told us there Are more shark teeth when the sea is calm—I would have thought the opposite! All in all, a good beach area, clean and fun!!

Great sandy beach good facilities showers toilets etc pay car park and a boardwalk from car park ro beach
Lovely sunsets

I just moved back to S.W. Florida after being gone for nearly 20 years. I grew up nearby and there were ALWAYS TONS of shells ..... what happened ??? Hardly any shells at all ! Plenty of sharks teeth still but very few shells :(

The condo we stayed in offered beach access. Noticed on our drive of the key that there were several access points for the public beach.

This is one of favorite places, although this past year the entire gulf side has been plagued with RED TIDE, ALGAE BLOOMS and TOXIC water situations. Aside from that this is my favorite place. IT has shark teeth, friendly people, great sand and warm water. Dolphins sightings too!

We are full time residents. We pay for a yearly parking sticker, but never have any luck with parking until its off season. It would be nice if residents which ALREADY paid, at least had a designated area (similar to the way train station parking lots are handled). We appreciate the snowbirds as they help our economy, but it doesn't seem fair for residents that pay to park & can't do so.

Beach is clean! has rest rooms/changing rooms. Weather warnings and water temperature posted daily. Also there is a 15 minute drop off or loading area right near handicap parking. Perfect place to spend an afternoon.

We came to this beach in the afternoon and of course did not realize until we were here that it was suffering from red tide. Other than that we found some cool sharks teeth and the sunset was absolutely gorgeous!! Definitely a good beach when it isn’t suffering from red tide! The wash off spot was great too and bathrooms were clean!

I’m officially in love with this beach!! I had heard about the shark teeth to be found there but I didn’t know just how beautiful it is and how much I’d enjoy the area. There’s a huge parking lot and it’s free parking- also a nice building with bathrooms, gazebos to sit out at and showers to rinse off. If you do want to find shark teeth you can certainly find them just with your hands searching through shells like I did, but I would definitely recommend getting some kind of strainer/ mesh wire tool to use. This is one of my top beaches and I would sooo highly recommend if you can go here!!!

Very easy Beach to hang out at. During high season, get there by 9 am or 2nd shift after 1pm though.

This beach was beautiful! There is free parking. Nice public bathrooms. Showers to wash sand off. We found shark teeth there. The water was clear and warm. There was a lifeguard stand there. The only negative thing was there were a lot of people.

Amazing beach area. We stayed at El Galeon East and this entire area was amazing. They had speed boat racing our weekend and we had front row seats on this beach. I highly recommend this beach area. Not touristy and the shells were awesome every day. Peaceful and there was a very nice elderly gentleman that stood on his balcony at sundown and played TAPS. As a Veteran, I saluted this man each evening for his service. Beach is well-groomed and kept clean. We were welcomed by the permanent residents with open arms.

The beach is large, mostly clean except natural waste, toilets and showers available, parking free.
You may walk for hours to both ends. Only near the parking a little bit crowded.

We liked it there a lot. We could find shark teeth and the beach wasn´t so crowded. The drum festival was fun to go to. Unfortunatelty the water wasn´t as clear as at other places along the gulf

What a great big beautiful beach. Sunrise and shark tooth hunting were my favorite. On Christmas morning, the beach was full of infertile in full set up with canopies and grills and lots of food. Facilities are clean and well maintained.

Beautiful beach at sunset. Enjoyed a walk on the beach after having dinner across the street. Beautiful evening.

Finding shark teeth was the highlight but the water isn't as clear and the waves are rough when looking for teeth

Nice, quiet island with lots of activities, relax on the beach or go parasailing, jet skis, fishing and boat rentals to see the dolphins and manatees . There are restaurants and shopping very close by. Take a drive and see old town englewood , Venice or Sarasota. Lots do do if that is what you want or just sit on beach

We visited this beach with family members including small children. We arrived around noon and were able to find parking and a perfect spot without trouble.
It was fun digging for shark teeth, and the water was warm enough to swim.
Beautiful day!

Beach was clean and quiet. Free parking was available. Of the area beaches we visited, Manasota was the best for finding shark teeth. Highly Recommended!

15 Sep. Went to check out the red tide and it was moderate. There were only a few intrepid souls and the lifeguard.
For red tide status, visit visitbeaches.org.

Went to Manasota key while in Venice, we went for to see the sunset, beach was busy but not over crowded .We brought some nibbles and some drinks and watched the sunset, it was a fabulous evening. Definitely recommend it if your in that area.

Excellent and busy beach, weekend was packed with overflowing vehicles looking to park before noon. Beautiful sunsets and a nice beach for sea shells and shark teeth. Beach was full. Takes an hour or so to leave, some people not patient or courteous enough.

We have been to sanibel lovers key Bowman’s beach and this has been our favorite beach. We drove from Cape Coral here (about an hour) and it was worth it, beautiful blue shark teeth nice bathrooms And beautiful sunset. Can’t wait to go back. Just side note bring food and there limited WiFi as I have no service there. (That’s not a bad thing though as there’s plenty to enjoy)

Great beach for walking. Lifeguard for swimming and nice facilities. Free parking and picnic facilities.

Good beach. Parking lot is filled with potholes. The sand at this beach is very hot due to the black particles in the sand. If you go anytime from May to October, bring shoes to the beach. There's a pretty steep drop off into the water.

I was amazed at the wild life and incredible views. You have not lived until you have visited this place! It's beyond the bucket list!

Amazing water! perfect for a day getaway! Bring an umbrella and a drink and enjoy the sun! Relax! Listen to waves crash if there are any, bring a yak or a paddle board, if you get lucky you’ll see some dolphins or a manatee!

A lovely stretch of beach with loads of shells and sharks teeth. You can walk for literally miles. Fantastic sunsets!

This is a wonderful beach for swimming, sunbathing, walking or looking for sharks teeth. There is free parking , bathrooms and a pavilion. We had a great day just looking for sharks teeth and walking the beach. I love all the beaches in Venice but this may be my favorite. I definitely recommend. Don’t forget to bring water , sunscreen and food . That heat kind of creeps up on you.

We visited Manasota Key Beach and had a great time collecting sharks teeth and shells. The waves were strong in the day as there was a front approaching, but the weather was warm and it was a great day. The. Each has free parking and restrooms, as well as a lifeguard station. It is a good beach for families and is not very crowded.

We were told that this a great beach to find Sharks Teeth - and in less than 30 seconds in the sand, we found 2 teeth. We will be spending time here.

The parking lot was full and there were many cars parked on the beach side of the bridge. A spot opened up so we parked. There were no no parking signs so we thought we were safe. We returned to our car to find a $75 parking ticket. We will never revisit our spend any $ in this area again.

Manasota Key is a very nice beach with clean amenites. Free, convenient parking. Reason for the "3" rating is that I'm a snow bird from a state that has exceptionally beautiful beaches which I would rate as "4" And, of course, it's not that far from Siesta Key which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We go to Manasota often and enjoy our time there.

With Michele visiting here from Arizona, she wanted to go to the closest beach, and this is only 1.5 miles away from my home. She loved the smaller size of it, we did not like the parking lot too much since because of all the rain we've had it was mostly a mud pile. They have changed things a lot, and not all for the better!!! Now the parking right by the beach is for HANDICAPPED parking only!!!!
But indeed, you can catch some fantastic sunsets here, unfortunately last night was not one of them!

If you like to hunt sharks teeth this is the place! We could walk along the shoreline and pick up numerous smaller teeth and some large ones too! For the better teeth a scoop and some screen to sift through were the best. Restrooms are always clean and everyone is always friendly. Great place to spend a day or more!

Really nice small beach, easy to get to ,although its a little hidden, and uncrowded, great for walking very relaxing!I did notice they have restrooms now and plenty of parking.I found a few cool shells after a small storm.

Enjoyed a quick visit to walk the beach and find a few sharks teeth. Nice and quiet on a recent midweek morning.

Very nice beach. Parking can be an issue. There is a free lot that fills quickly. I would suggest you arrive before 11am to avoid having to wait for a spot.

This beach is near the northern bridge onto Manisota Key. It features a long stretch of sand on the Gulf of Mexico. Walking, collecting shells or sharks' teeth, swimming and sunning are all peaceful ways to spend some peaceful time away from the frantic pace of civilization even in Englewood. You will usually find a variety of gulls, pelicans, plovers, sandpipers and if you are lucky a blue heron or two. Parking is free as is use of the beach and rest rooms are available across the street from the parking lot. No businesses of any sort out there. The Hermitage Artist Retreat is just down the road. This is what beaches were like many years ago.

A beautiful beach. Not much more to say to that. Yoga on the beach in the mornings; drum circle on Sundays at sundown. Gorgeous sunsets. Enjoy it.

This totally free beach with adequate parking is a local gem and a tourist favorite. The only thing I think could improve it would be a beach combing that would clear out the trash and litter left by people. We took friends and found over 100 shark teeth and you can purchase screened products at several local stores to help in your search for shark teeth. Clean restrooms and good outside showers to wash the sand off.

We went with our family here while on vacation and had a lovely time. We went on a Saturday and it was busy, but not too crazy! We brought a sifter and found at least 20 shark teeth! Also found some cool coral and shells. The sand is dark, even black in some spots, an in-between is the floury sand at Siesta and the shelly sand at Nokomis. The lifeguard station entrance has bathrooms and the exits have showers to clean off.
*tip: there is a drop off spot for your cargo, but then you park across the road!
Enjoy!

This beach is amazing. It is beautiful and has so many neat things on the beach. We found sharks teeth galore along with some other interesting fossils. It was a beautiful vacation spot!

I know there are so many popular beaches in this area, but... this beach is fantastic! I feel as if this beach is busy but not overly crowded. You will have your own space and not feel as if you are sitting on top of one another. This is not a spring break type beach but more families and people enjoying the weather and sand. This is also a great shelling and shark tooth beach. Bring your shell scooper because it definitely helps. If you go, take time to walk down the beach to find shells. Make this a stop on your next trip!

Been to alot of local beaches and this one had warm water! We swam alot and then found sharks teeth.

We headed to Manasota Key Beach right after visiting Venice Beach. Manasota was very crowded. We had a hard time finding parking (free) and once we got onto the beach there was a sea of people. We did walk a ways to a less congested area. I found shark teeth in the sand near out beach towel and my husband found a bunch out in the shells.

We love Manasota Beach, it's one of the best in the area BUT be very careful when parking. The newly surfaced parking lot on the south side of Manasota Beach Road - which looks like a regular car parking lot from the road - is mainly for vehicles with boat trailers only. There are just a few car spaces, the signs are not clear. Cars parked in trailer spaces are getting ticketed by the sheriffs dept. Other than that it's a great beach.

Great beach. Not too crowded. We found lots of sharks teeth here. Bring an umbrella and pack a lunch!

Love to snorkel for shells on this beach. My husband always seems to find sharks teeth! A beautiful place to watch the sunset!

Excellent beach. Good length can walk all the way to Stumps Pass. Loads of shells. Very good shower facilities.

Beautiful clean water aqua in color! Facilities are very clean and well-kept there is usually plenty of parking. It is in Sarasota County.
You do not have to pay to park, but unlike Englewood Beach, you will have to walk across Beach Road to get to the Beach area.
But, it is not a deterrent for us. The sand is nice and soft, and there is great shelling here!
Enjoy your visit!

Too many dead fish that need to be disposed of, thanks to the most recent algae bloom. Still a beautiful beach, just like all our Florida beaches, it needs to be cared for and not polluted.

Beautiful sand beach. Not overly crowded. Great place to spend a lazy day. The beach is also long enough for a strenuous walk if that is your aim. Something for everyone.

Our daughter and granddaughter were visiting from Ohio. We had heard from friends about this beautiful beach with it's abundance of shark teeth. The beach is not the lovely white sand the west coast is blessed with, however it was still very nice and clean. There were showers to rinse off before leaving and very nice restrooms. If you go for the shark teeth take a cheap scooper. The teeth are plentiful to find. Just know what you are looking for. It was a fun day, we will most definitely be back to just hang for the day.

Red tide kept us away from here for a few days but after the rain the red tide seemed to be gone. Yes there were still some dead fish on the shore but so much better. Nice facilities. Lifeguards present during the day. Good family beach

I love this beach it's beautiful and quiet. Wonderful place to go alone or with family. Not your tourist beach. Wonderful for a long walk, shelling and you can still find sharks teeth.

We arrived mid morning the first Monday in March only to find the place packed and no available parking spots. Not even a handicap spot was open. We circled many times trying to find a spot. Could not even find private lots to park. The beach looked nice from our car. We never did get to actually walk on the beach. Tried for over 1.5 hours to find a parking spot. I would suggest arrive before 9 am if you want to go to the beach. All the locals recommended this beach.
Fun open beach
The speech is very open. Parking is at a premium. There are good bath houses, bathrooms and showers. Lifeguards archrival.
