Managed to view the Skyline both in the day and at night and its absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Best view ever. Go check out the Staten Island ferry or any other ferry. Gives you great views. Also visit the Brooklyn boulevard.

The view of Manhattan can be seen for miles, coming from Newark Airport you can see the full skyline. it's breath taking, never gets old regardless of how many times you visit New York.

Love NY Skyline. Great to see it in person for the first time, particularly the Empire State Building and the Chrysler.

On a clear day the views of the New York skyline with the huge skyscrapers across are beautiful and seem unreal ,so amazing

The best views we found were from Ellis island or Brooklyn, just south of the bridge. Get the ferry from Manhattan to Brooklyn and walk back via the bridge.

One of the most impressive sites of a trip to NYC is to see the City from a distance. I took the Lakeland Bus Company (New Jersey based) to and from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue. On the return trip from New Jersey, before you go through the tunnel, you can see all the skyscrapers. Manhattan looks like a really crowded place to live!

It was located in heart of the city. Lot of tourist attractions nearby and it was accessible and connected to subway , buses to get around easily. Rooms nice. Pleasant stay.

We did the Statue of Liberty boat trip which takes in the skyline as part of the one hour trip, we also went over to the Dumbo area in Brooklyn and took in the views from that side.

Got caught in a snow storm which was great fun, evening time was great when viewing from the Brooklyn side, great colours in the sky and reflections off the buildings.

The tall buildings off the sea and Hudson is a classic sight. The view of these buildings, some peopl like and others do not. We are ok with views.

Lovely walk along the sky line trees and plants are beautiful well worth a visit.
I’d suggest walking it all first and then retrace steps to shopping center.

The Manhattan Skyline is a very impressive view and reminds me of when New York features in films and tv shows. It was great seeing this view for free from the Staten Island Ferry.

Had a lovely experience on the Circle Line Cruise. Weather was spectacular, tour guide was delightful, views were fantastic.

the Manhattan skyline is really good my only problem with it is that the empire state building seems like a misfit with all those glass building lower Manhattan skyline is way more better wtc looks awesome in the sunset

we took the New York Ferry (2,75$) from 34th to DUMBO, then walked back crossing Brooklyn Bridge... best!

This City and its people are amazing! My third trip to New York and won’t be my last. Late summer is great but still busy with tourists but February is also a good time if you can avoid the heavy snow. Plenty to see and do especially when using the subway to get about and a good pair of walking shoes or boots.
Highly recommend walking the Brooklyn Bridge to Dumbo to shop and eat and get the water taxi to Wall Street. New world centre visit is a must as the views are amazing. Started island ferry is free so use it to broaden your trip and book a mega us trip from Hudson yards for a day out in Philadelphia - review to follow!

Just like in movies, posters, TV shows, the skyline is it. Free Staten Island Ferry ride at night is an experience. Or take NYC Ferry from Brooklyn Bridge Park (Dumbo) to Wall Street/Pier 11. Great views.

Lady Liberty in the harbor was and unexpected bonus pre and post sunset.

Indeed it is interesting. In the evening, and looking from the opposite side (NJ) it looks really nice. However, if you are in Manhattan itself, there is nothing spectacular.
Meanwhile, many cities have developed skyscraper skyline and some - in my humble opinion - are nicer.

The Manhattan skyline is always something that strikes a cord. Viewed by day it is awesome and by night totally different and equally mesmerising.

On this visit to New York City, we took in the Manhattan skyline anywhere we could! We started in Brooklyn, first taking in the skyline from the highest point in Green-Wood Cemetery. Next we walked the Brooklyn Heights Promenade in the late afternoon at sunset and at night. A couple days later we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge in mid-afternoon on a sunny day. Even after we left the city, heading north along the Hudson, we enjoyed views of the skyline from the scenic lookout parks! The skyline never disappoints...different from every angle...with so many unique architectural styles...stunning!!

There's not much to say about this one - it is a really nice skyline. We saw it from on a boat, which was interesting and unique.

What a view! Provably one of the most evocative skilines of all times. This was worth of the whole trip, that was great!

Saw this by boat also, worth a trip our guide was funny and informative. Boat was easy to board clean and spacious, it helped that the weather was good.

Got lots of great views of this world famous skyline, from places like Liberty Island, Ellis Island, and my personal favorite view was at night from across the Hudson River in Jersey City.

I think it could be argued that the Manhattan skyline is the most iconic skyline in the world. I would recommend going to the Statue of Liberty to see the skyline as a whole from a distance, and of course there are numerous observation decks in Manhattan itself

Amazing view of one of the best cities in the world. From the ferry you can see all of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Brooklyn Bridge and many other things. I went as part of a bus tour and the tour guide explained all the things we were seeing.

My husband and I flew into NYC during the past Christmas holidays to catch the RCMH Christmas Spectacular. We landed after dark and even thought I've flown in numerous times, it is always a beautiful sight to see.

Well there is nothing like this in all the world. An incredible collection of skyscrapers best seen from the harbor, which is what we did from our cruise ship. Lots of remarkable modern architecture, and there are also some boring buildings, but the huge collection of monoliths is so impressive. Nothing like it.

A beautiful, relaxing, place to take in the waterfront and the statue of liberty. It was my favorite place to find time alone for myself and just be at peace.

A must see! Has to be seen to know how amazing it is. Lives up for your expectation, if not exceeds them!

A walk along the Brooklyn Bridge (from Brooklyn...) is a great way to see it...especially at sunset!

Take the east river ferry for a nice panoramic view of Manhattan, or just walk the Brooklyn promenade.

The pool is not included in the fee for the hotel across the minimum $60 and during some of the pool is very crowded and I’m not really children friendly

You don’t see what you were told you could see. As Chinese with bigger group, best spots in the helicopter were given to small group of white people arguing for weight reason, which didn’t make any sense as their weights were similar to ours individually. They should have splitted the best spots between the groups rather than just packing us at the back because we are Asian ?! 😡😡😡😡

One of the most iconic skylines in the world, especially with the new buildings on Grand Zero. It can be best experienced from the river so recommend taking the Staten Island ferry and stay on it for the return journey. The ferry is free of charge.

It’s iconic and you feel familiar with it, even if you’ve never seen it in person. For first timers, that moment when you’re riding from the airport and the skyline comes into view… wow!

It was exciting at all. Passengers inside of the ferry was elite and respectfull for the people took picture. I made lote of interesting videos and photos and İ send to the friendsin Turkey that appraciated to review this places. I am happy about this trip and it is a very good memmory.

Wowsers - even though I had seen many many pictures of the NYC skyline; seeing it in the flesh was something else.

We opted to take the Staten Island Ferry to catch a glimpse of downtown in the late afternoon as the sun dipped.

The skyline is amazing. Many tall buildings of different shapes and heights. You can get a very nice view from walking the Brooklyn Bridge and probably from many other locations as well. The fact that is along the water, makes it all the more interesting.

Already at the moment of landing you get excited seeing the silhouette of the Big Apple from afar. I will have the chance to take more up close photos but in the meantime this first taste puts me in a good mood

Loved it from the NewJersey side, the river , Ellis Island and from the statute of Liberty ---and the sun came out---glorious view

Enjoyed the skyline views from a boat tour on a Monday morning in June while traveling with the Mt. Pleasant Iowa High School music department students.

I recommend seeing the skyline from different points: Empire State, Top of the rock, Brooklyn, Queen, East River Boat, Fifth rooftop Bar... Highly recommended day and night

I enjoyed the the view the most from the Brooklyn Bridge waterfront and also from water (boat/cruise) but can be viewed from further locations too. For example, skyline view with the biggest cemetery in NYC in front (if you are in Queens), etc.

if you like to walk through some green areas, and you want some calm moments while in New York City, it is a good place to visit. Also, it connects to the Chelsea Market which is a must-visit in new york.

In it such a treasure to live in NYC and get to see this skyline all the time. It does not matter where you go to see this breathtaking skyline. It always reminds me of how blessed I am to be a New Yorker

The skyline of NYC is not as nice or iconic as it was in in 60s - 90s. I don’t like the new needles! See the main things - Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Center. You will recognize a lot of places from the opening sequence of SNL.

It's different day and night

What a pass, guys! We, two lovebirds, went exploring the Manhattan skyline and it was crazy. The sidewalks were so crowded that we almost danced salsa to get around. The culture of Uptown left us feeling amazed, how elegant! And look at Grand Central Station, it looked like we were in a movie. The skyscrapers made us feel like ants, but ants very much in love. Between selfies and stolen kisses, we fall even more in love with the city that never sleeps. If you want an unforgettable date, the Manhattan skyline is your place. 10/10 experience, we would come back without thinking!

We did the evening walk and feet with panorama on the Skyline and then crossed the Brooklyn Bridge, it was magnificent, beautiful. A stop not to be missed, really exciting. The only drawback is the cold and windy. In winter you have to dress a lot.

We viewed the skyline from the Staten Island Ferry and it was a fantastic view as we cruised to Staten Island.

The Manhattan Skyline is the most amazing skyline on the planet. It's surreal, no matter how many times you see it. But what's equally as amazing is the reason the skyline is the way it is. Read up on the geology of Manhattan and you'll understand why there are tall buildings uptown and downtown, but not so many in the middle.

Beautiful walk on a sunny day, sky, water and buildings altogether make for a great stroll. The way is also long so it's never repetitive!

Stunning experience. I viewed it from the liberty island from the Statue of Liberty. Stunning experience and even better at night.

This is just one of those rare opportunities in a city the size of New York to stroll casually above all the hustle and bustle of what's going on down in the streets. It is not a five-star wow attraction of New York but it is a strong 3 star piece of relaxation. The Re-Use of an old abandoned train track is typical of New York being creative, so slow down and enjoy the walk

One of the world's greatest cities certainly lives up to its reputation; I lived on the 46th floor near the Hearst Building and round the corner from Central Park, able to grab a coffee anytime at the 24/7 cafe below, breakfast at the diner next door (on 8th Ave), and shop at Gristede's across the road.

The embodiment of New York! As a first time tourist in the city, I was blown away by the views! Loved!

If you are a fan of the classic big apple I recommend riding the free Staten Island Ferry back & forth at least once during the day and at night. The view of the skyline is amazing from the water and as you kick off up close the further you distance on the 20-minute trip the view reveals the skyline in the background. at different levels of depth. Amazing take pics and video! ( night also the lights are amazing against the black sky)

Amazing. Best view from New Jersey side. Amazing also by night. You can get a nice view from the Staten Island ferry. New York is better outside than itside. Amazing views.

Few cities can actually compete with New York for their Skyline. We had the opportunity to see Manhattan Skyline from 3 view points.. Top of the Rock, Met's stadium and from the Ferries. Each one a fantastic experience and great view.

The Skyline is STUNNING! Lots of 1 star reviews said it looked better in the movies, but in my personal opinion I think it was better in person. I was in a Taxi at 2am NY time as we had just flown in, so typically it should have been pit h black, but instead there were so many bright vibrants lights and other was just amazing. It was an incredible way to be welcomed in to NY and was gorgeous.

The New York skyline is unique in the world. It makes you feel exciting both day and night, with the sun or cloudy skies. In my opinion one of the best vantage points for a wonderful overview is the ferry to Staten Island

I saw this from the ferry and Liberty and Ellis Islands, but I'm sure is gorgeous from any location.

I mean to actually see all the skyscrapers and the whole skyline, and especially on such a beautiful day, it was really incredible.

I can't wait till I can make it back and actually tour the city, see all the skyscrapers in person, and tour the different boroughs.

I spent five days in New York City and got lots of opportunities to enjoy the Manhattan Skyline.

On the second day I was there I travelled to Brooklyn and walked down to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. From here you can see the Southern end of Manhattan along with Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.

I also travelled on the Staten Island Ferry to visit the island. This is free to use and when I visited in October 2023 there were ferries running every 30 minutes throughout the day and night. There was a higher frequency at peak times.

On my penultimate day there I went to Roosevelt Island via the cable car and from here you will get some great views of the skyline and the Queensboro Bridge.

There are many different locations to go to, unfortunately due to bad weather I did not get not see it from New Jersey but that would have been nice to experience.

The New York City skyline is a sight to behold. Approaching the city from the south and west, I marvel at the beautiful shining Freedom Tower on lower Manhattan following it north to the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building as well as all the other tall buildings that would stand out even more in most other city's. The view provides me with a feeling of patriotism and America's greatness and strength.

Nothing beats the feeling of being in a taxi on your first visit then this magnificent view appears upon the horizon when traveling from the Airport to the City. Such a sight to see when your still over in Brooklyn side.
A world famous skyline. A skyline like no other. You will never get other how many buildings there are. A glamourous concrete jungle. The city is a must-do, at least once in a lifetime

Well it really is magnificent. We had a terrific view from the balcony of our cruise ship that was anchored in Brooklyn. We were looking straight at lower Manhattan. And then when we were headed to the airport, we saw the whole island from the East. Just fabulous.

The skyline is truly iconic and picture postcardesque! Probably best seen from a cruise in the harbour. Truly the image of new york

I loved seeing the Skyline, especially due to the shape of the island it looks different form every angle! My recommendation is to take the ferry to Liberty Island for the best view of the skyline.

Hop on the Staten Island Ferry and head to the rear to get the best seat on the boat to view this iconic skyline looking back at lower Manhattan.

To see eastern Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge board the NYC Ferry and climb up to the top for unobstructed views.

We got lucky both days with sunny days and perfect weather to enjoy. Next time we will come back to experience at night when its a little warmer!

You get the best views form the Statue of Liberty and Staten Island Ferry. Nothing like it anywhere else, never tire of it.

Manhattan skyline is always an amazing view in the daytime as well as night time. The best way to see the skyline is to be outside of Manhattan, such as in New Jersey where you can get a full view of it.

We saw the skyline while lying on a hill under the Brooklyn Bridge. It was amazing and would have been better at dark!

It's beautiful, especially front the water at night. We took a tour. It was cold, so I wouldn't go again when it's cold.

You may have seen this hundred and one time thru Hollywood movies. But to see it with your own eye is totally different feeling. The look is unique.

It is relay something to see when the sky is clear that you find in summer month of July specially at night.

I got a chance to see downtown Manhattan skyline during our boat trip to the Statue of Liberty. The skyline was amazing, albeit we saw it during the daytime. I'm sure that the view is even better at night.

Has to be seen from either the top of the Empire SB or from the observation deck at One Tower, to be really appreciated.

Experiencing this amazing view from a ferry is a must. We were lucky enough to see it clearly and also after a snow storm.

The concrete jungle is a must see. We visited the Freedom Tower and Rockefeller Center as well as took a boat tour, so we got to see this from every angle and each just as great

surprised my brother for his 40th birthday and it was a a blast. Great food, drinks, music and sights.

We took the Cirlceline cruise and the Staten Island ferry, so we got a very nice view from the water.

Is there anything like it? From the water, or from the top of the Empire State Building, you see the majesty of the great city. I have never been in an environment like this. So many towers that seem to go forever.

This skyline is unparalleled elsewhere in the world. Suggest a boar tour or a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan to take it all in.

If you go to New Jersey you have a spectacular view of the New York Sky Line.
An experience absolutely worth doing, perhaps crossing the canal with a Farry.

I love the scenery from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Try to go by sunset. You can walk over the Brooklyn Bridge as well.

We navigated the intricate subway system to discover amazing (and sometimes questionable) food from all over the world. Pro tip: never underestimate the power of a good slice of pizza at 3 AM. Just remember, if you can make it in Manhattan, you can make it anywhere – especially if you've had enough coffee.

The skyline is not that great to see as compared to what you see on movies. Night time, it looks like most flats are emp6 as there are no lights all around.

Summit one Vanderbilt. It was fantastic, just like my fear of heights, not cheap but definitely worth it. We also took a lot of pictures.

Whether from the Hotel Beacon or from Central Park, you can get great skyline views in all directions!

We did this first thing in the morning just before we were going to back across the Brooklyn Bridge (from Brooklyn to Manhattan). Its such an amazing view, one of those things that is like an out of body experience seeing it. One of those things youve seen so many times on TV and then there it is. So many gorgeous photo opportunities, what a brilliant view.

The Manhattan skyline is a must while visiting NY. Do it by boat or helicopter it's simply amazing. You won't regret it for sure.

I can spend the whole day and night watching the Manhattan skyline and spotting iconic buildings. Who would have known that Manhattan was a wilderness till a few centuries ago. Wall Street gets its name from the Wall that the Dutch had built to protect their settlements from the native Indians and the English. Now the Wall sleeps below Wall Street.

NYC is a city like no other! Truly 24 hour public transit & ferries for commute or relaxation. I saw many diverse building designs. The people are in a bit of a rush all the time, but very open to conversation; was impressed by Hustle & Bustle of New York Residents! Young Children commuting to school alone in mass public transit with all Economic Classes, Crowded Most of the time but overall Respectful. Had some good laughs & free entertainment from local artist.

The NYC Skyline is the best in the world! There is truly nothing like seeing the NYC skyline for the first time. If you can see it on a perfectly blue sky day your pictures will be incredible!!

The whole of New York is unique and it's great to experience the various districts. Each one has it's vibe. Use the subway from JFK and get out in Manhattan and your jaw will drop at the scale of the buildings

The skyline is impressive, but not as amazing as other cities, think Hong Kong, Singapore, but that is okay by me. Smaller scale works for me. The worst addition was the Mt. Sinai Hospital building sometime in the 70 or 80s. Literally mars the UES panorama.
In any case, walk around the reservoir for diferent angles.

We loved the views on NYC. We saw the skyline from New Jersey, by boat on the water, from the Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty and from several of the tallest building in North America... We enjoyed seeing the city and being able to see great distances on sunny days and being above the clouds on cloudy and rainy days and how some of the buildins look like they came from Gotham city n Batman. The building and neighborhoods each had personalities of their own and their personalities and moods changed with the weather and with the daylight. I think the view was better at One World Trade Center than some of the other skyscrapers. Not just because its is taller but because it is more by itself and you can see more including great views of the Hudson and Statue of Liberty..

I saw the Miami Skyline on the Cruise purchased from pier 36. (attractions4us (i think) and it was incredible and quick. what photos. Definitely take a boat for the skyline photos.

The skyline within Manhattan was breathtaking. Our tour guide was so informative with details regarding business and accommodations. The pictures we were able to capture on a sunny day in March were better than postcards.

Super nice to see the buildings with those heights and their silhouette over the rest of the city on the Hudson River.

I stain Hoboken and jersey city for a couple of weeks, and the one thing I did every day was watch the Manhattan skyline at sunrise, sunset, in the middle of the day... sometimes I brought a picnic and sat at one of the many green areas in Hoboken to be able to appreciate the views. Sunrise was about 5:30 am and not too exciting. sunsets were gorgeous even though I was facing east. Absolutely breathtaking!

Both views of Lower Manhattan and Midtown Manhattan can be best viewed in New Jersey: Ellis Island, Liberty State Park, Exchange Place, and Newport for Lower Manhattan, and Weehawken for Midtown Manhattan.

Make sure to visit by sunset, the sunlight reflecting off the buildings are a beaut! Or visit during the sunrise to the sky has an orange hue when seeing Manhattan from New Jersey!

The skyline is iconic, world known and impressive from any point of view. Nevertheless, one can only capture its full grandiosity after looking at it from a boat tour in the Hudson, a sky deck such as the One World Trade Center and walking around town in the middle of the buildings.

We enjoyed great views of the NYC skyline from the Greenpoint Market at the end of Noble Street. There was a vendor market and informal car show with private individuals showing off and discussing their cars. The NYC skyline was a great backdrop.

If you like photography, this is a very nice location! go in the morning of afternoon for best light

I could never have imagined something like this skyline. It is amazing and really unbelievable. You can see it from a long distance and enjoy its particular shapes and lights from high rooftop and terrace of different skyscrapers, or even see the buildings popping up when you leave the coast with a ferry. I think it is something we should see at least once in a lifetime.

Weed is legal here. If you can get overcome the smell of it on most corners, what an amazing experience. We stayed for a week in midtown and got to see everything on our itinerary, and then some.

For food and drinks: Many local diners, including Ellen's Stardust. If you are an early bird, I highly recommend you go there for breakfast. There is no queue and a great way to start your day. Hardrock cafe, Dallas BBQ, and Black tap were our go-to restaurants. The shakes at Black tap 🤌

Most places you will pay in the region of 20-30$ pp. Alcohol can be expensive depending on your choice. Look at adding 8$+ per drink.

Sites: You have your 5 observation decks. I visited the vanderbilt summit after one of JFKs border guards recommended it. If you want an interactive experience and 360° views, it's worth a visit. If you can, get yourself a local tour guide. Martin was ours from the lower south side. He's now a tour guide at Grand Central Station (good luck at your new job!). We were given a whole new perspective and visited local sites not shown in a Google search.

You have your film locations, Ghostbusters, Home Alone, Godfather, sex in the city, just to name a few. All photographical for those extra memories. Not forgetting to mention the iconic sites. Central Park, Grand Central Station, Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Time Square, Empire State building, Wall Street Bull, etc.

We planned some days through an itinerary prior to heading over, I wouldn't plan everything, though, leave some days to explore, and you never know what or who you may see!

Just to be here and wander around NYC constantly looking up at the sky high buildings is amazing. The skyline can be enjoyed from practically anywhere - Top of the Rock; Staten Island Ferry, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Empire state building. You really can't but be gobsmacked by it all.

For the best skyline view, visit Hunters Point South Park, in Queens. The NYC ferry takes you there, or get the 7 train from Grand Central or Times Square. You can see every famous NYC skyscraper in one spot.

If you are in Manhattan, also take a moment to zoom out and look at Manhattan. You won't regret it. It's a skyline unmatched anywhere else.

In this review I wont bother you with skyscrapers top viewpoints as everybody knows they're great, but they're costing some 30-40 bucks per person.
I give you my list of totally FREE viewpoints from where you can enjoy the NYC skyline I managed to visit during my 3 visits over the years to this fabulous city.
Ranking is based on geographical position, NOT on the beauty of the view, starting from east, over south to western viewpoints.
1. Pepsi Cola sign - terrific midtown views
2. Gantry Plaza park - very similar, little bit south
3. Domino Park - views between midtown and downtown
4. Dumbo and Brooklyn bridge park - excellent lower Manhattan views
5. WALK over the Brooklyn bridge from Brooklyn towards Manhattan
6. Staten island ferry - excellent views of the southern Manhattan (same views as from Liberty statue ferry, but Staten island ferry is free),
7. Empty sky Memorial - great south Manhattan views from Jersey side
8. Maxwell Park on the Jersey side

It is just awesome to look at Manhattan skyline. We saw it from Liberty island, we did see it from Drumbo, and you just are amazed more everytime about this skyline. I loved it and have become a fan of it.

There is something so captivating about the Manhattan skyline from whatever angle you see it. We were lucky to see it from Top of the Rock in 360 degree views. We also saw it from several different locations as we cruised out of New York. It truly took our breath away

It was great but not what we expected. I love skylines as much as the next person but I was hoping that we were going to see it up close. Plus, it looks way smaller than when you see it on television. I understand that we have a big screen TV but still. I would love to know that architect that built this because I don't think they really thought it through. My wife and me had a good time but to be honest, liked it better when we saw it in the movie 'Lost in Seattle'.

The Manhattan Skyline is one of those striking sights that requires your immediate attention, so matter what else you might be doing or for how long you've lived in the city. It's especially breathtaking at sunrise and sunset, when the buildings are bathed in sunlight. Whenever I took the busy to LaGuardia, we'd get an uninterrupted view of the skyline, and the entire bus would stop talking merely to take in the glorious views.

You have to see this at least once in your life. There is nothing like it! Do yourself a favor and go over to DUMBO and watch the sunset over this amazing skyline!

What an iconic view; just like in the movies! Unfortunately, we had a bad storm coming in that day, so it was fairly cloudy (although made for atmospheric photos!), but you can just stand and take it all in for ages; truly is something special to behold.

We sailed into NYC harbour early morning past the Statue of Liberty and the city skyline was still illuminated. Great sight to welcome us to NYC. Photo shows view as we sailed out. Always find it fascinating.

It is an iconic skyline with many well known buildings (depending on the direction of view). Extremely touristy thing to do (but it is always easier to appreciate view of a foreign city!). Good views from Brooklyn Bridge or across water (eg via boat). Would suggest seeing it at dawn/dusk or at night.

Popped over to Roosevelt Island on the cable car which was just $2.75 each way. It only took 4 mins to get there and we were able to have a lovely stroll to take pictures of Manhattan’s coastline. It was a very peaceful place. We sat in the sunshine and listened to the hubbub of manhattans busy street s whilst peacefully relaxing.

My second trip to New York and the skyline seen as the BA courtesy bus took us from the airport in New York to New Jersey - alas the flight landed in the wrong State! A good 90 minutes drive from one to another, and not what you want to do when you have just arrived in the country. The bus circled us around Manhattan and a most exciting view of the skyline. Also saw the skyline from the ferry trip to Staten Island and Ellis Island. Looks great also from the water.

The Manhattan Skyline is spectacular. So many iconic buildings including the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and Rockefeller Center to name just a few. Some of the best views are from the back of the Staten Island Ferry or from the Observation Deck at One World Trade Center.

It is iconic, you know it is there, it never fails and it always reminds you there was more to it. For anyone over 30 you will always miss the view of the towers.

The skyline was amazing. We done a day time trip to the Top of the Rock and that gave a wonderful view of all the main buildings and sites. Also a night time trip up the Empire State Building which was great to see all the coloured lights etc. I would recommend both trips.

We enjoyed the view our of our temporary Brooklyn apartment. It covered a lot of the skyline from downtown to midtown including some of the famous skyscrapers, both old and new. Nothing like this in the world! Such a vital city, the world's most dynamic city.

WAS BETTER THAN WHAT WE ENVISIONED.

There was so much to take in in a 3 day weekend. Safe and comfortable. We found that we were able to chat with locals and it was not uncomfortable. There was just so much to take in.

Visited NYC over the Christmas period with my daughter and was blown away by the Manhattan skyline, we were lucky enough to have blue skies (though freezing!) so wrapped up warm and walked amongst these giant buildings.

While taking a boat tour from the harbor, I was amazed by the view of skyscrapers reaching into the sky. The proof is in the pudding :)

We looked at the skyline while we were on the cruse to statue of liberty, while we were in Brooklyn bridge park, and Madison square park. The city looks beautiful, we took many pictures.

Hey we saw the skyline from the Queen Mary, docked at Red Hook in Brooklyn! How cool is that? It was gorgeous on a clear sunny winter day. And we saw it from many other perspectives as well. Always a man-made joy, the greatest city in the world.

One of the best spots to see the Manhattan Skyline is Liberty Park in New Jersey. You can take a walk there to enjoy the views or just take a seat and wait for the sunset. You will see how the city lights up which is a very pleasant show to watch.

Manhattan skyline is famous for its towering skyscrappers which can be seen from many places. We had visited the Statue of Liberty and from the cruise and island, you can get a very good view of lower Manhattan. We didn't do the helicopter ride over the city instead viewed it from the cruise and island which itself provided a very beautiful view.

Having been lucky enough to seen the skyline at both night and during the day a numerous of times during my NYC trip, it is one of my favourite ever sights.

A number of great viewing points are from the Circle Line Cruise (at night is better, all lit up!) or from the High Line

New York is one of the greatest cities every built and the skyline proves it. From almost any angle, this place takes my breath away. I'm so proud to be human when I see something like this.

The best way to see this is to take a 2.5 cruise around the island…we did with Circle Tours….excellent tour….

Having travelled much of the world, this is still to me one of the most stunning skylines in the world. Day or night. At night, the skyline is sexy, cosy and romantic. In the day, you can really take in the architecture. Best viewed for me by doing a boat ride.

Such beautiful views unlike any other city. Even the city looks full of skyscrapers when I was flying in. Definitely beautiful and memorable.

Manhattan Skyline is a must go every time you're in New York City. Every angle is breathtaking. Worth it

Very pleasant walk, you can rest from time to time, get off and on, lots of vegetation and views of the city. Points of interest and visits such as Chelsea market.

Never ask a true New Yorker (you can tell if we are true if we say Manhattan and not the City).
You will never see a more incredible skyline than NYC. And, with more of the buildings become glass covered OMG. Please go and see for yourself

Wow wow wow. What a beautiful view. During the day and in the evening. It's not boring. We liked the view best from the water.

The view of the New York skyline from NJ and Ellis Island is impressive. Interesting to imagine what new immigrants in the early part of the century must have thought. Suggest the view from NJ, and avoiding the traffic in Manhattan itself.

Best way to see the real New York, amazing views and architecture with the history. Not one to be missed!!

Stunning views from the Empire State Building and if you are staying in hotel with these views. Everyone should visit at least once.

The first time that I walked by the Skyline I had the plenty sensation of being in a Special Paradise. Please, do it. And, if it´s possible to You, choose a sunny day, with a good sky to do the ride!

The skyline is stunning just absolutely stunning. It really strikes you what a great, amazing, big, beautiful city NYC is.

Never gets old. Have visited NYC a few times, and the skyline is always a delight to see. Kind of weird that it's on TripAdvisor, because you can't really go to NYC without seeing it, but anyway, here we are.

Especially nice to see from the water/a ferry ride.

The skyline is Iconic. Any chance to see the city from a distance is well worth the effort. Just a beautiful sight.

Always fascinating, Manhattan Skyline has that powerful magnetism of a large, modern city architecture, rising up to the skies. That feeling usually doesn't depend on the weather -- the skyscrapers and high-rises just look more colorful in the sunshine, and darker on the overcast days.

Regardless, they dominate the cityscape and stand out, symbolizing if you will, a strong character of New York City in general, and its fabulous Manhattan area, in particular. Even at a distance of dozens of miles, I could still see some famous historic sites - city landmarks, business and residential high-rises.

This is a beautiful weather for the heat wave time because it’s so cool to have some walk time, no doubt it’s a place for the hot weather

Go over the Brooklyn Bridge to have the very best views of the Manhattan Skyline. There you may take a boat back.

The Manhattan Skyline is spectacular wherever you see it. We saw it from two points, the shuttle to Staten Island Gerry and a little further from the bridge to the entrance to Quenns.

The views from Rockefeller center were fantastic in any direction and well worth the ticketed price.

...what can you say? Still the classic skyscraper city unmatched anywhere else. Try and get up high to get a fabulous view of the city that never sleeps

Gorgeous skyline, loved seeing it from the water. December is a very busy time to visit the city, will be happy to visit again in a less busy month.

Best skyline of all. You must look at it from the Brooklyn Side for the best view and photo ops. A must do!

The skyline views of Manhattan are amazing at both day and night and not something I could ever tire seeing. Recommended.
