Attending the Master's Tournament at Augusta National had always been a dream for my husband and his dream came true thanks to one of our neighbors here in Evans, GA. Needless to say it was a very early morning for him and his friend to avoid most of the traffic. The crowd at the South Gate entrance at 6:45 was pretty thin and they waited there 30 minutes, then they were allowed onto the property. They were then directed to concession area and waited another 30 minutes before they were allowed onto the course. An interesting thing at Augusta is that most people take their own short-legged chairs and claim a spot along the course. As they moved across the course they sat is other peoples' chairs and other people sat in theirs. If someone was sitting in your chair when you got there, you just mention it's your chair and the friendly, fellow golfer's would move along. Needless to say, just walking around the course is a thrill for a first-timer and it was in great condition.
Prices were not that bad for beer and food were relatively inexpensive; about half what you would pay at an NFL game. "The Sandwich" they are famous for is the Pimento and Cheese for only $1.50. The Master's merchandise, however, was fairly costly, but worth every penny. People were spending tons of money on Master's merchandise, possibly to resell. Remember that people from all over the world come to enjoy this event. It's too bad they don't allow cameras or phones.
It's very unfortunate that they don't do some type of organized tours of the course so not many people get to enjoy even looking at the greens like my husband did. The funny thing? I don't care for golf at all...but I was very excited for him. He had a great experience.

I was lucky enough to obtain tickets to the Wednesday practice round of the Masters Golf Tournament and the Augusta National Golf Club. What an amazing experience to see Amen Corner, Magnolia Lane, the clubhouse and cabins. The course itself is immaculate. So much history and beauty. It was especially good to go on a practice day because it is less crowded and you can actually get a good view of players as they practice on the putting green. It is very organized and the staff are extremely friendly. The food, especially the pimento sandwich is awesome and cheap. The Club officials go out of their way to make this a wonderful experience. Even if you are not a golf fanatic, you will appreciate the ambiance and iconic golf course.

I can't actually believe Trip Advisor wants me to rate the Masters. It's like asking if you would like to go the World Series, the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby, etc. It's a legendary tournament. If you can score tickets, go. It should be on everyone's bucket list. I don't play golf. I don't follow golf. But the course is so beautiful, the food is so cheap, the people are so nice and the excitement is so infectious, you will have a great time. Remember no coolers, no cameras, no phones, no camp chairs with arms. Binoculars are okay. Sun screen and a hat is a good idea. Go on their website for parking and other helpful hints.

Every year I attend the Masters golf tournament. I love the gift shop and Masters memorabilia! I like that on practice days you are allowed to bring cameras and capture great photos of the players and the beautiful course.

The Masters Golf Tournament run by the Augusta National Golf Club is the best golf tournament from a viewer's stand point. The attendee is treated to free parking, readily available information, great view sites, excellent facilities (restrooms, shops, concessions), and tasty food & drinks at unbelievably low prices. I have worked concessions and attended the tournament for over 40 years and it is another level above any other tournament that I have attended.

Fabulous......
Could not get over how groomed and green the course was. I have played many times on fairways worse than Augusta's pedestrian walkways....amazing!
What a workout to walk the course.
Unbelieveable how they hide the confectionary and restroom areas.

Even if you do not like golf you should take time to go to the Masters just to view the golf course if you get the opportunity. The food is good and unbelievably priced low. It's a tournament that stands by itself. Rated A+++++

To walk the grounds and take in all the sights is something you need to see to believe. TV does not give you the full appreciation for the property's undulations

I never realized the many ups and downs on each course! I enjoyed my time so much in the impeccable grounds and oh my goodness are the sandwiches good and cheap! Top it off with a lemonade or beer and you are set to enjoy a magnificent day, enjoying the beauty around you and watching the mastery of the golfers.
It was a day I will never forget!

My wife and I visited The Masters on the Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April during Masters week and thereby have ticked off another item on our bucket list.
I have to say that the organisation of entry, food, seating, movement around the course infact everything was superbly efficient. The main merchandise shop (66 check outs) is incredibly busy with some considerable queues to get in. The prices are on the expensive side but that doesn't seem to stop people. They turnover $3M per hour.
The golf course itself is walkable but hilly so you need to be reasonably fit. Having said that it is worth it just to get a proper view of the topography - the drop from the 10th tee to the 10th green is amazing (the TV really flattens it out). The other thing I take away is the quality of the grass. I have never seen anything like it. There was not a blade out of place and I suspect it would have been a pleasure to hit balls of the carpet like fairways.
Finally the food & drink - it is cheap. 2 Chicken sandwiches, 2 diet cokes, 2 bananas, 2 cookies and 2 bottles of water - total $15.
If you are a keen golfer try and save up your pennies because it really is worth it.

This was the first time we have attended the Masters Golf Tournament. What an amazing experience. We were fortunate to have tickets for the Saturday and Sunday. The weather was perfect. The course was in fantastic condition and we walked it both days. On Saturday we focused on Amen Corner and on the Sunday the 15th and 16th holes near the water. Then later near the 18th green watching the players finishing their final rounds. Perfect for the play off between Rose and Garcia. I am English and my husband is Italian, so to have two Europeans fighting it out was a dream ending for us.
The event was so well organised and the security excellent. The staff working on the course were so friendly and helpful. We can thorough recommend it.
Take comfortable shoes but be aware that you cannot take a camera or mobile phone onto the course. We left ours in the hotel but there is a reception desk where you can leave mobiles but of course you must queue at the end of play to pick it up.
There are plenty of restrooms and eating/drinking facilities around the course. Take a sunscreen because when you are sitting in the galleries mostly they are exposed to the full sun.
To walk on this most famous of courses and experience the Masters !! Words do not do this justice.

If you ever have the opportunity to get tickets to this...do. This is the way golf should be...respectful, classy and fun. This makes the average tournament look like frat parties. The Masters is golf at its finest. No phones, no rowdy behavior...just an appreciation for the game and its players t the highest of levels. You will remember this experience forever.

If you ever get an opportunity to go to this golf event you MUST go! If you are lucky enough to have somebody offer you a ticket- TAKE IT and GO! You will thank me later. Not the best of conditions this past weekend but, what the heck! We braved the cold and had an awesome time. Got to see Tiger, Freddy, Phil and all the golf greats up close. The television does not do this course justice and after walking it for a day i have shin splints. LOL- No other sports event offers deals on food like The Masters! it will change your mind on how you feel about pimento sandwiches! Only 1.50- Maybe i will be lucky enough to go again in the next 10 years.

The Masters is the greatest golf tournament in the world. It's the only major played at the same course every year.Unfortunately ,it can only be attended by patrons who have tickets. My family finally received tickets after a 20 wait,as my brother and I pestered our mother to get on the list.We couldn't apply ,as we were minors at the time.Got to enjoy The Masters for about 20 years, but when my mother died, lost the privilege. You can apply online at the Masters website for practice round tickets and I would encourage you to do so.The grounds are beautiful and prices are very reasonable.Put it on your bucket lists.

2016 was a special year for my family.
I had been to Augusta a few years earlier with my father, but this time is was going to be my wife for our 25th anniversary along with my son and daughter who are in high school and had monumental years both personally.
I had previously used the turn key provider "The Patrons Caddy" with my father and of course I was going back as these guys did everything to make the most of our 2 days at the Masters tournament in 2015.
Included in the package was Thurs/ Fri ticket (badges) at the tournament (yes we saw the Big 3 kick things off Thurs morning once again), accomodations in a large souther home 15min to the front gates, personal driver the entrire time in/ around Augusta, caterered dinners to our large southern home, house stocked with booze, snacks, breakfast items, Augusta airport transfers, sitting chairs for the tournament, and they even got our chairs set up for us at #2 & #17 as requested along with amazing "tips" for our two days in paradise.
My wife and the kids haven't stopped talking about it since......let's just say dad gets alot more R&R as a result of their trip of a lifetime.
I certainly could have cheaped out and gone the typical strip hotel route etc. But the hands on approach that "The Patrons Caddy" offers if far supperior than anything out there - and trust me, I looked at all options.
It it a once in a lifetime opportinity for most of us.....do it the right way.
Visited April 2015

Lucky enough to get tickets to Friday's event. Despite the rain, they know how to put on an event. Not their first Rodeo... It's everything people tell you and more.. the course is magnificent. The concessions are extremely affordable... Merchandise is first class and priced comparable to any major golf tournament and most pro golf shops. If you are fortunate enough to attend, plan your trip by doing some research and talking to past Patrons. It's a bucket list item for sure.... Tiger, Tiger, Tiger.....

Masters Golf lived up to all the hype. Attended Tuesday practice round and everything went off perfectly. All of the golf course personnel were extremely polite, helpful, and very professional. The golf course is every bit as beautiful as advertised. Not a blade of grass out of order. If you love golf, you gotta go!

I have been twice in the past three years thanks to the lottery system. If you get chosen in the lottery, you can purchase up to 4 tickets. Members of my family have been chosen and been kind enough to offer me a ticket.
This year we all felt extra lucky because we got tickets for the practice round on Tuesday: the only sunny day leading up to the tournament. We enjoyed a perfect day walking the entire course, seeing all the players, watching them skip at the 16th hole, tee off at the 11th, etc.
The grounds are immaculate. The only negative was that an early frost ruined all the azalea bushes, but since I was here two years ago, I knew how beautiful this course is when those are in full bloom. TV doesn't do this place justice.
The food here is amazing and so cheap. Don't get me started on the peach ice cream sandwiches!!!!
The store is a must since it's the only time of the year you can purchase memorabilia. The prices here aren't as cheap as the food but you can find some nice quality stuff that will last a lifetime.
Just a reminder that no cell phones are allowed but cameras are allowed for the practice rounds.
Bottom line: enter the lottery and go check out this awesome course! #traditionunlikeanyother

My trip to The Masters this past spring was simply incredible!
I was a bit concerned traveling as a solo woman assuming I’d be with a bunch of beer drinking, cigar smoking, obnoxious guys, but The Patrons Caddy had a super set up and doesn’t cater to that crowd. There were several other women traveling and as part of The Patrons Caddy crew that evened things out to the men, and the group mixed well, so we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Individual groups could have been more exclusive to themselves if they wanted but I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have had as many laughs!
The house set up was wonderful and everything was taken care of, including the great meals! Being gluten free worried me a bit, but they made sure my dietary limitations were taken into account and this was a real surprise. They even tracked down the gluten free beer I love, in addition to the nice wine selections with dinner. Chris’ staff was so nice, professional, and always on time. I wouldn’t think twice about who to book with on my next trip. The Patrons Caddy is a no-brainer!

Attended Weds Par 3 tournament. It was a positive experience from every aspect. Staff is friendly and courteous. Real southern hospitality from everyone. Needs to be on the "bucket list" for anyone who enjoys the game, player or not. I understand the rule but my only feedback would be to change no cell phone rule. Most tournaments in the world have done this.

You may spend $1,000 more but visiting Augusta and shopping/eating at Berckmans is very exclusive. Celebrities and members wearing their green jackets is cool. Condoleeza Rice greeted us on arrival. Putting experience was fun! Course is beautiful and historic.

The Augusta National is what golf is all about! The absolutely beautiful flowers and all of the scenery and the layout of the course is phenomenal. This is every golfer dream come true to walk this course. The patrons are so quite and respectful of the players as they are playing. Totally an experience to remember for a lifetime.

Some of the managers at the golf course were not friendly and had no manners nor were anywhere near sympathetic🇱🇷

We visited in 2008 for our 40th and came back for our 50th. Can’t wait til 2028!!!!
I was concerned that we might be disappointed. Shouldn’t have worried. This place is the golfing Mecca and should be a must for all golfers. The whole place is a picture perfect heaven with hundreds if not thousands of helpers who go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome. Sitting by the greens watching the best golfers in the world struggle is an education. Well done the committee of patrons and long may this very special place remain unique and special.

Even rain couldn't spoil a day at the Masters. Shop early and store for pickup later and where comfy shoes for the hills and enjoy the beauty of this historic course. Get your picture taken at Founders circle to get a great view of Magnolia Lane.

If you are lucky enough to attend
1. Leave your phone in the car.
2. Bring a camera(yes a real one but only on practice days)
3. Eat a pimento cheese sandwich & drink a beer. It's super cheap.
4. You'll need all that money you saved on food to use in the pro shop.
5.Bring a poncho/umbrella.
6.Wear comfortable shoes & sunscreen.
Welcome to Augusta y'all! Yes we do things a little slower down here. You won't be disappointed.

Of course it is a perfect day if you get the opportunity to go to the Masters. Even the practice rounds are fun.

My son and I were here for the final round. Experiencing the Masters has been a life long bucket list item of mine, and having done it, I must say it exceeded my expectations in every regard. And it wasn’t just the condition of the course (which was much hillier than you can imagine from watching on TV) or the exciting/highly competitive final round that we witnessed, it was so much more: the friendliness and helpfulness of every staff member and volunteer, the well thought out and executed methods for getting the patrons into, around and out of the site, the extraordinary viewing areas on the course and in the practice areas, the low prices for refreshments and well placed concession stands, free parking and free professional photos of patrons posing in front of the iconic clubhouse, the thundering roar of the crowd, et al. My son remarked that it reminded him a lot of Disney World. I responded back “Except this is real”. Incredible!!!

I attended the Friday round of the Masters and pictures don't do this place justice! The course is beautiful and immaculate. At one point, I was 20 feet away from Tiger Woods, and watched Jordan Speith wait for his turn to hit the ball. They offer to take your picture in front of the clubhouse for free since you can't bring in a phone for the actual game rounds. Despite the steep price to get in, the food and drinks are generously priced. The Georgia peach ice cream sandwiches they had this year were fantastic, I ended up getting another once after I walked the course. The gift shop offers expensive, but good quality items for sale. This was a once in a lifetime event that I would do all over again if given the chance!

Was lucky enough to win tickets to the practice round on Tuesday. From the moment you step onto the grounds it is spectacular. Everything is so green and immaculate. Every employee at the Masters is outstanding! They are all so nice and always have a smile and 'Ya'll have a great day!'. I can't say enough about them. And the people that run that show know what they are doing. Disney world should take tips from them. 50,000 people walking through the pro shop at all different times, and while there are lines they MOVE. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes to get in and that was the longest line of the day. Never waited at a concession stand and the bathroom lines moved right along.
If you are a golfer and ever get a chance it is a MUST. However be warned, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk up and down hills all day. Television does the terrain at Augusta no justice!

I work in the financial sector and fortunately (or unfortunately) have to entertain clients all of the time. I have done the Super Bowl (twice), Kentucky Derby, Nascar, US Open (tennis and golf), and Ryder Cup. This past April I decided to Finally treat my customers to The Masters.
Having no real idea how to go about getting houses, tickets (badges), drivers, caterer, staff etc for 12 of us, a work colleague told me about "The Patrons Caddy". Boy oh Boy was this a great heads up as these guys did all of that and more. Every time I see or talk to my customers now, we barely even talk business - it's all Augusta. Needless too say the trip has paid for itself 10 fold and it's only been 4 months.
We have all heard how amazing the course is a million times, but it will Blow your mind. In my opinion there is not a better way to entertain customers. First few rows at the most famous golf tournament in the world, on the most famous golf course in the world, watching the best players in the world arm in arm with your customers or friends & family. Everyone is captive at the houses after play for dinner/ drinks versus distractions at other events like Vegas or the hotel strip in Augusta for that matter.
You won't regret going and definitely won't regret using "The Patrons Caddy" to take all the stress and headache out of it.

What can I say? Truly an incredible experience. All true golf fans need to set foot on the hollowed grounds of Augusta National! A memory you will cherish forever!

The flowers are beautiful. the staff is exceptional. You get great everything. The gifts are good and don't forget to watch the game. The masters are great to watch You can take the kids to get autographs. Parents they wont sign for you only kids.

I went to the Master's with my best friend. It truly has to be on everyone's bucket list of things to do. We were part of a tour that was all first class. They bussed us up to Augusta dropping us off at the 1820 House, a hospitality house that provided excellent food, drinks, storage, cigars and a great atmosphere. From there we walked to the course. It was gorgeous. I have been to many golf courses over the years for play and tournaments and have never seen a place so well cared for. Even with thousands of spectators roaming the place, it was clean, well maintained and staffed by so many courteous folks I couldn't believe it. The golf shop was a mob scene but the check out folk were so efficient you didn't even have to stand in line. The golf was amazing. The tv doesn't do the place justice with the treacherous greens and all the elevation changes. You have got to go see it!

We have been going to the Masters off and on for a decade. It is a wonderful venue and never disappoints. They have been adding to it over the years and making it even better. If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Masters don't pass it up! Truly Amazing.

Watching the worlds best golfers play the worlds best golf course.
Immaculate experience.
Impeccable service, grounds and atmosphere.
Didnt think it could live up to my expectations...and it well exceeded them.
A must visit

Going to the Masters at Augusta should be on everyone’s bucket list! The course is nothing short of stunning! Walking the course and seeing in person how long the fairways are and how small the greens are make you appreciate the athletes that these golfers are. The old world charm and hospitality of Berckmans Place is unparalleled. In the morning each guest is greeted with a welcome handshake from Condileeza Rice! All 4 of the restaurants were amazing, and the Masters Cocktail called Confusion is refreshing and goes down smooth after a day in the sun. A true once in a life experience that’s worth every penny. Something that will inspire you to take up golf!

Congratulations to Hideki Matsuyama!! Congratulations to caddy Shota Hayafuji! Hayafuji’s bow at the end of the final round was the ultimate display of respect. One of the greatest moments in the history of sports.

My husband and I were very fortunate to get tickets this year to a practice round on Wednesday. After a exhausting ride of nearly ten hours we finally got there.Everyone we encountered in the area was gracious and friendly. The staff at the tournament went out of their way to talk to everyone and be helpful. It was quite amazing for this day and age. It made people feel special as they received specialized attention. The course itself was stunning and beautiful. It was truly amazing to see where all the gifted golfers had performed in the past and connect the golf course with the history as we walked the course and took time to reflect in Amen corner.
Truly a rare gift to see these golfers in action on a remarkable course.A bucket list item for everyone.

Had the pleasure of being here for the Masters and came away very impressed. Although I am not a big golfer, I would really consider taking it up. The location, service was really above others. Being able to be in the area of some of the greatest golfers was most impressive.

I grew up in Augusta, when I was twenty six I went to my first tournament.Amazing, the people, the landscape, the history of the most prestige golf course in the world! Since, I've been to practice rounds,Par three and of course the tournament itself.A lot of expansion over the years....new parking areas, hospitality places,housing....Washington Road has gone through a lot of changes over the years as well, shopping, dining etc.So if you have never or been here before, check Augusta out! We are a thriving ,growing community .

Experiencing The Masters first-hand is likely on MANY people's bucket list. It certainly was on mine and honestly seemed like a long shot to ever get crossed off. But thanks to a great bud, check, cross it off the list. Words can't fully describe the perfection, the colors, the history, the majestic views of the landscape that one usually sees only through artwork.
Suggestions:
Wear clean/new athletic shoes. Comfortable for great walking. Do NOT wear golf shoes ~ would be like bringing your bat to the ballpark to watch a MLB game.
Relax, take it all in and take this rare opportunity in life to say and hear silence for the day. "Quiet Please" takes on a whole new meaning at Augusta National. You will just WANT to be silent and then ROAR when that putt drops! The rare individual that is chit-chatting as if at the local Muny course will stand out.
Walk the course, even if you think this is the BEST spot, walk and see more.
Find your favorite golfer and walk a hole 'with him'. It will further appreciate the skill,
Try the famous Pimento Cheese sandwiches for lunch. Excellent. By the way, you would think that Augusta National would take advantage of the wallets of patrons ~ not the case at all. If I remember correctly a great sandwich and a cold beer in a collectors cup was around $5.
Okay, take the money that you thought you'd have to pay for lunch and make the investment at the merchandise pavilion. MANY of the items you find there are available only at Augusta National, NOT online. If you are considering a purchase, BUY IT, you may never ever have a chance to get back 'next year'.
Get your picture taken (by them, happily no cameras/phones) at the iconic flower bed.
The place is truly 'like no other'. Perfect.

I have been to the final rounds at The Open in Scotland (Muirfield and St Andrews) three times but this is my first Masters and we have bought tickets for Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The only two downsides are that the tickets are ridiculously expensive unless you are lucky in the ballot and that Augusta is a bit complicated to get to if you live in Northern Europe. But the course, the atmosphere and the facilities are worth everything. If this is what heaven looks like I will not be disappointed. Should be a bucket list item for every golfer in a world.

What a privilege it is to attend the Masters! The environment is just special. The course is pristine. The hospitality is amazing. The food is super cheap and tasty (like $2 for drinks and $1.50 to $3.00 for sandwiches). Totally affordable. There is a lot of merchandise to be purchased if you are so inclined. Their pro shop is huge. Couple of things to remember. Do not bring your phone. They are not permitted and you do have to go through security and it will be found. No cameras during regulation play (Thursday thru Sunday). They said apple type watches were not permitted (since they can now be cellular) but I did see a few. There are plenty of really nice bathrooms and all of the staff were super helpful and friendly. If you get invited, totally go! It’s amazing!

Augusta National is perfect in pretty much every way. The course is simply the best and most will not disappoint even the non-golfer. If you get lucky and hit things on a perfect weather day, you will not be disappointed. Many things are changing this year as they have built new buildings, opened more parking and continue to make the course and entrance more user friendly. I encourage you to visit and enjoy the area. Don't forget to go hungry, the food is great and you will NOT believe the prices

This is an absolutely beautiful course even if you are not into golfing. My personal favorite location is amen corner, 11, 12 and 13. I have been 4 times and prefer the practice rounds. The golfers and the all around feel is much more relaxed, some of the golfers will even stop and chat for a second. Par 3 challenge is a lot of fun if you’re lucky enough to get that day.

Crossed that off the bucket list, and it should be on yours too! Like someone else said, you won't get a bad review for this place. The show their true southern hospitality and really take care of their patrons. It is an honor to be selected to go or if you are lucky enough to come across tickets that someone is selling. The course is absolutely gorgeous with the various flowers. I was thinking it would be a really expensive place; food and merchandise, but it was the cheapest sporting event I have probably ever been too! 1.50 pimento cheese and egg salad sandwiches were amazing. My personal favorite was the BBQ though!!!
I would love to be chosen to go back, fingers crossed.
Tips: wear comfortable shoes, its a must. Take a camera on practice round days and if you go on practice round days go to the 16 hole and watch the players try and skip their ball across the water.

I live in Augusta and I am very Blessed to get to go to the Masters. What an experience. Has to be on your bucket list. If you get the chance, please do not miss this wonderful place.

If you are fortunate enough to get tickets it is a must go to for any sports enthusiast. Merchandise and food are reasonably priced. I would suggest going to the merchandise area if you plan on buying shirts hats etc. they have a free check on so you don't have to carry stuff around with you all day. You can get it as you go home. The course is immaculate and very hilly and would suggest you walk the back nine first. If you need a break the bleachers on the 12th are a great place to rest. Food is reasonably priced and my favorite is the pimento cheese sandwich. The driving range is a good place to take a break and watch a variety of players practice. Rooms in Augusta are outrageous for masters week so you are best to stay an hour away and get up early to get to the tournament.

No place like the masters! Pure perfection everywhere you look. No other golf tournament compares. From the fairways to the pro shop everything is class act!

The Masters is God’s country. The grass the patrons walk on may be the best grass you will ever put your feet on. The Masters does not gouge you on food and beverages. The sandwiches are very reasonably priced and taste very, very good. Everything about the Masters tournament is top-notch. They do everything well.

Truly one of the greatest places on Earth ... and certainly the greatest sporting event there is. The service and experience at August National are unparalleled. This is a MUST for any golf lover.

This is simply a MUST do thing even if you don't give a hoot about golf. Simply experiencing Augusta National is worth the time and effort. One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. If there is something better I may not be able to stand it. This was my fourth time to The Masters and I got teary eyed each time I walked into the grounds. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is just first class. From the time you first approach the security gates until you are well away from the area, CLASS is what you will experience. The prices of the food/drink is just ridiculous. The basic sandwiches, pimento cheese and egg salad, are $1.50 and a generous beer is $4.00. They could easily charge triple and sell out. Get to the venue early and buy a chair or two. Put one down on #16 green and the other on #7 green. That gives you seating on both nines with good vantage points. I could go on and on but ------
Simply a blast.

As always, nothing can compare to the Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National. Absolutely beautiful course, the top golfers and totally organized beyond belief. Take care to obey each rule as they are enforced to the letter. Whether you want to sit in one place or follow your favorite paring, the excitement never ends. With the new parking areas, it's much easier in traffic. We always have a wonderful time and if you haven't been, it needs to be at the top of your bucket list!

This is an incredible venue and the bucket list thing to do if you are golfer or a golf fan. I couldn't have been more impressed with the people working at this event or the grounds crew. Everything was clean and had what you needed. The prices on clothing were steep, but the food and beer prices were very moderate. Have to go and check it out.

Attended the Tuesday practice round. Golf course is stunning. The entire staff, from the parking lot, to the front gate, to that Marshalls and officials, all extremely friendly and helpful. Concessions are very reasonable. They do not oversell tickets, so it is not overly crowded. We were able to see everything we wanted to see. Walked the entire course. Took great pictures (cameras are allowed on practice days, but cellphones are not, so plan to leave your phone in the car). Parking is free and right on sight.

If you are a golf fan this is a must see golf course and tournament. Augusta prides them selves in the beauty of the course. And the food well you can get the greatest tasting Pimento Cheese sandwich along with a beer for under $6.

Probably the best sports event I ever attended - and, I'm not a huge golf fan. It's like Disneyland for adults. You are treated like you are the most important person from the moment you drive into the parking lot, and it continues throughout your stay. The grounds are meticulous and beautiful. Not a blade of grass out of place. The workers are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food is good, and very reasonably priced. Of course we tried the pimento cheese sandwiches. And need not be said, but the golf is great too.
If you have the opportunity, go!!

If you’re looking for RV hookups during Master's Week (762)994-6721 for a 130 site park that includes water/power/sewer in a very serene country setting just outside of all the noise. Rates for dry camping are available as well. Aonia Pass MX only opens its campground for Masters Week!!

The grounds of the Augusta National are beautiful. It’s a very selective process but you can apply through the lottery each year. If you ever get a chance to go... GO!

I have been twice and attended for the practice rounds both times. What awesome views of a magnificent golf course and the best thing of all seeing the golfers close up and the best good ever played... I have finished my " bucket list" in a terrific way !!!

So we won the ticket lottery for Monday tickets this year. First ever visit. This place is like Disney only more efficient. Lines move faster, food is cheaper, rest rooms are cleaner, grounds are super clean. Staff is super friendly. The worst part? The arrogant think they know it all ticket holders walking around oblivious to others. Watch where you are walking or a group of them will run you over and then question why you were daring to be in their path. Go to the Pro Shop first, get what you want then check it. It’s free and easy. Food and restrooms are plentiful so don’t fret. Food is silly cheap. Be prepared in Pro Shop. It’s going to sting. But would you expect anything less? Hole 7 is a REALLY fun green if you appreciate golf. Hang out there and watch pros get their butts kicked by a comedy like green. Otherwise go to 12.

As you enter the gates of the August National you can feel the golfers of days gone by. The course is expertly manicured and azeleas are amazingly beautiful. The egg salad sandwich is not up be missed.

My husband and two teenage boys are avid golfers and go on a couple of amazing golf trips together each year including Scotland, Ireland and most destinations here in the States. The Masters has always been a family tradition of watching the tournament from start to finish for both wknd rounds since I can remember.
Personally, I hate the game of golf but have always been fascinated with The Masters for the appeal it brings to the eye plus what my “men” tell me of the intricacies of the tournament, course, history etc. So about a year ago, I was on a girls trip to SF (wine of course) and one of the gals mentioned how she had surprised her family the year prior, so yep, I went for it! She screamed up and down to give The Patrons Caddy a call – and boy o boy was she right!
From start to finish, this company took care of everything – our own amazing 3 bedroom house 15min to the front gates, a personal driver in a beautiful suv, a chef at their “host house” (the boys requested their meals catered into our house so they could watch all the highlights where they saw themselves on tv), bfast items, whatever snacks the boys requested, dads brand of beer and wine of course for Mom;)
My game plan on how to present it was the same as my girlfriends – Christmas morning as the boys drag themselves out of bed and are coming down the stairs, I played that Masters music. They walked into the family room where our tree was and within 2 minutes all 4 of us were crying. To all the ladies out there – your families deserve it. And if you like me have (had) no idea how to put a trip of a lifetime like this together, call The Patrons Caddy and it’ll all be on autopilot.

If you get a chance to visit the Augusta National it is one of the most beautiful courses. Do not pass up the opportunity. The golf is great.

If you are lucky enough to get a chance to go to the Masters, it is a must. I was here for the Par 3 contest and it was a blast. I might argue it could be the most fun day on the course where the players are sociable and show their personality. Once you get to the Masters there is free parking which we took advantage of, and on the day we went it made for a quick exit at the end of the day. A key thing to remember is that they really do mean phones are not allowed. Once inside the Masters it is a great time. The food and drinks are as cheap as you could ask for and they really do move you through the lines really fast. The longest lines you will encounter are at their merchandise place. While it is really cool and getting some Masters gear is a must, you will wait to get in there. Watching the tournament is like many other tournaments on a practice day. You can find a place and watch or walk around the course. The Par 3 course is fun and the most entertaining holes seem to be 7-9. You really should strive for holding down a spot here because it is small and can get packed. I would recommend staying at a hotel somewhere outside the city to get a cheaper price.

This is a southern golf tradition. It marks the rite of spring! The plush grass, the bountiful azaleas & oh my, the Egg Salad & the Pimento Cheese sandwiches are second to none.

We had tickets for Saturday and it was an experience we won't forget. When we first arrived we went to the shop to purchase the items we wanted and to get two chairs. I would recommend taking business cards to slip in the back window on the chair as well as a ribbon or something to easily mark your chair. As the day goes on it gets so crowded you will not be able to find your chair if you aren't careful. We checked the things we bought and headed to Amen Corner where we placed our chairs. We then walked the course. We wore several layers as it was cold with 25 MPH winds. The layers were great and I could just leave what I didn't want on my chair. The main thing we enjoyed was see the beauty of the course. It was breathtaking. There are huge crowds but everyone is so friendly and well organized that all lines go very quickly and are hassle free. The crowds do make it difficult to really get great views in many cases. You end the day without a real feel for what has happened but again, the real attraction here is to see the course. We probably won't go again soon but this was on our bucket list and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Made my first trip to the masters this year. Couldn't have been more impressed! I had Berckmans pass tickets and the food and the buildings were absolutely stunning.
One of the most beautiful and fun places I've ever been

Managed to get tickets for the last two days, have visited many golf courses but this is seriously a large step up in golfing experiences.
Fabulously well manicured with excellent facilities at reasonable prices (unlike some UK events). Expensive yes, but put it on the bucket list.

We lucked out with the weather and had a bright sunny day to see this shrine of golf. It was super helpful to walk the course and see the nuances of the greens and the elevation changes that don't show up on TV. You really get an understanding of why certain shots are considered hard when they don't look all that hard at home.
The food is tasty and inexpensive. The merchandise selection is extensive and they will even ship your goods home. The cleanest and most efficient public restrooms I've ever seen.
A complete first class operation and one that every golfer should enjoy at some point.

The Masters lived up to everything you've heard about it and more! It's breathtaking grounds and fairly seamless organization for everything!
The food is incredibly cheap and the pimento cheese and BBQ Sandwiches are staples. We would love to go again!!
If I had a complaint, it would be they allowed people to smoke all over the course. So when it's heavy crowds, people blow their smoke on you because there is no where else to go.
Other than that, it was a wonderful experience!

If you get the chance to do it...do it.
This was a bucket list item for my husband, but I think I loved it just as much!
It is a well oiled machine! Very few lines, reasonably priced food and souvenirs, more parking than you can imagine!

The Masters is a beautiful place in Augusta, GA where you watch professional golf and see many celebrities. The atmosphere is so laid back, but yet wild and exciting. I go every year and no wouldn't miss it for the world!!

I went to the Masters for a practice round this year. Once you step on the grounds of Augusta National, you are in what seems to be a shrine to golf which, I suppose, Augusta National is. All the grounds are a uniform green, varying only by the length of grass. There are snow white bunkers, pine straw under the pines, azaleas, and dogwood. Nothing is amiss, and everyone you see has a big smile on their face because they are having the best day of their golfing lives. The food is ridiculously inexpensive and very well made. The lines are quick; TSA should study how they do things at Augusta. Here's an important tip: get there as close to 7AM as you can if you want to purchase anything from the golf shop. It will be crowded, but nothing like it gets once the course officially opens at 8 AM.

15 years trying for tickets WORTH IT. Perfect in every way. From parking lot to course
not one weed

Let me start with WOW! Blessed to win tickets to Sunday at The 2018 Masters. My 16 year old son and I stayed at an extremely overpriced hotel in Augusta on Saturday night. We arose at 4am, loaded up and headed to the Nationals in anticipation of getting good seats on 18. Awesome free parking spot 60’ from the North gate. Arriving at the line to enter the grounds at 4:20am I was amazed as there was already approximately 100 people already bunkered in for the 3 hour wait. The 3 hrs passed by relatively quickly as everyone was social and the Masters representatives, to my amazement, handed out Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee. So at approximately 7:15 am, security opened the gate. There was a lot of pushing and people cutting in front of you, my focus was on not getting separated from my son. We were quickly stopped inside at the bridge and held for 15-30 minutes before being let through security and into the course. Once inside there was fast paced walking but NO running which was strictly enforced. Once we hit the driving range/pro shop area, we split up. My son took the chairs to 18 and I hit the pro shop. I shopped until he returned. Could get what he wanted on 18 so he planted our chairs on 16(our 2nd choice). We shopped and took our souvenirs to the car. We then re entered and walked the course. Here is where the freezing wait started to be worth while. TV does not do Augusta National Golf Course the justice it deserves. Impeccable grounds, extremely friendly staff with 1 focus....to make your experience unforgettable. We watched some early groups and walked the grounds in awe. We finally got to our chairs at 1pm as the first group was approaching 16. WOW, what a spot my son picked. We watched the entire field golf 16. We were sitting 40’ passed the pin, watched the ball off the club come right at us and drop right on the green(hopefully) directly in front of us. We(and the entire gallery willed Hoffman’s ball into the cup for an ace) Reflecting on the day, I would not change a thing. These were memories with my son and we will cherish for a lifetime.

One of the most enjoyable experiences you will ever have. The golf course is absolutely beautiful and the way they treat the patrons is first class. Free parking and extremely reasonable food costs. If you are a golf fan, this tournament is a must. Even if you are not a golf fan, the grounds are like traveling to a beautiful park and garden where golf is played.

My wife had visitors from out of state who wanted to shop for Golf souvenirs. We’re not golfers. These older ladies drove into the complex- they saw no sign to stop/no gate guard. A car followed them, blowing its horn. They were accused of trespassing, and threatened with arrest! The tin-horn demanded my wife’s drivers license, then took a picture of it and her license plate. Long story made short, piss-poor response! So where was the illustrious gate guard, unseen as they allegedly “blew past” the shack?

I think you would be hard-pressed to find a negative review about attending The Masters. As one of the top, if not most notable golfing events around the global, The Masters is an experience that is hard to put into words. Even if you’re not a golf aficionado, the energy around a live sporting event enhances the experience.
Despite who the golfers are, walking the course filled with such rich history and tradition reminds you there are things bigger than you. And with strict golf etiquette rules, no cell phones or cameras are allowed on the course during tournament days. It’s refreshing to unplug and be simply out in the sweet Georgian heat enjoying golf the way it was meant to be watched. However, the tournament does offer patrons a complimentary photo in front of Founders Circle that you can download 24 hours later. For those who are easily taken back by celebrities… play it cool. Everyone is there to just to enjoy the tournament.
The food on the course is highly affordable and iconic, but make sure you budget generously for your trip to the gift shop because despite the steep prices, you’ll want to bring home some legendary memorabilia.

Masters Monday - amazing, everything I dreamed it would be. First stop....merch shop. Like a kid in a candy store, I bought one of everything (at least that's what my receipt made it look like). I was lucky enough to be able to check all my loot so I didn't have to carry it around. Then....early afternoon the storms rolled in. We were evacuated at the farthest end of the course, away from the North Gate merch shop. After trying several times to make my way to pick up my stuff....was flat out refused entry. Having only tickets for Monday, flying back to Canada Tuesday...I went home, sadly empty handed. "It's fine", they all said.... "we'll ship it to you!". Fast forward to an online form where I filled in my claim ticket, name & address....a week later, UPS shows up at my door with a huge box, and a $365 price tag. Really? Frustrated that as a patron, am almost punished for utilizing the convenience of checking my purchases - of which I wasn't informed at all there would be zero way to retrieve it, in the event of an evacuation. Masters ever so nicely packed it in a GIANT box (only half full), and shipped AIR, which added about $150 in extra cost to me. I was given no choice online to choose my shipping preference. Super grateful for the overall Masters experience, but really disappointed in the end result. Felt privileged as a patron, but not feeling the love as I fork over $365 to get my stuff. Lesson; if there are gray skies in Augusta, carry your stuff.

This was definitely bucket list worthy. We got tickets to the Wednesday practice round which was ideal. Then the course is the attraction. The best view of Amen Corner is in front of a big screen TV.
I have heard heaven will be a New Earth that is perfect. Well, that is Augusta National in early April. Spotless, with no grass unkempt and no mediocre Azaleas. Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson were thrown in for good measure. Plus a $1.50 pimento cheese sandwich.
I rest my case.

We have always gone to the masters tournament. Best time of the year ! Can't wait for April to arrive! Great golf, fun &food.

It is hard to get tickets to go but worth the effort. Lots to see and do even if you are not a golfer plus worlds greatest golf gift shop. The refreshments are always a highlight and they are sold at the most reasonable prices you will find at any major sporting event. Just to visit and see the condition of the course is to understand what Heaven is like. Flowering trees and bushes abound and perfectly manicured. Believe if you get a chance to go it will be a once in a lifetime treat, so grab it and go.

It was incredible to arrive at one of the most famous golf courses in the world particularly when you take into account that it is just off an everyday American street in an everyday ordinary town.
There is so much to say and if anyone is planning to go I would be pleased to offer my advice. In the meantime here goes:
1. Pop into the many souvenir shops and buy yourself a Masters foldable seat - pop your name on the back in the slot allocated and then decide where you want to watch the majority of the play - when you come back to it, the chair will still be there in its original place
2. When you arrive grab a map and walk the whole of the Course - there are so many places to see such as The Big Oak Tree near the Clubhouse, Amen Corner, Sarazen Bridge and the trees or shrubs that particular holes have become associated with such as Azalea (10) Magnolia (5) and Yellow Jasmine (8)
3. Food and Drink is really reasonably priced and the service is swift and super efficient so no need to bring anything with you - the cheese and pimento sandwiches were made with the lightest of bread and were delicious
4. No electrical devices to be brought into the grounds on Tournament days; the security checks are thorough and devices will be removed and you will be escorted off the course
5. Enjoy - we savoured every moment!
We positioned ourselves on the 16th hole as this has yielded the most aces - three of which we witnessed on the Final Round!

This was a bucket list trip, and one that I higly recommend. This course will amze anyone weather you play golf or not. The Greens and Fairways are spotless. The staff at the Masters treat everyone with the utmost respect that you can imagine. If you ever have the opportunity to attend Do So!

I was taken by a local golf tragic and he took me on a full tour of the course, wow you don't see the green and fairway undulation on tv, it's tough. The place runs like clock work, ushers in the toilets, food venues and shops, the manage an enormous amount of people very well. They only got 4 bubbles because they need more scoring updates about the course and if believe large screens, so everyone everywhere knows what's going on or at the very least, ear radios so you can listen to the commentators. It was a bucket list item for me, tick.

I’ve been to everything that golf a golf spectator can go to and this is by far the best! If you can get a ticket for any of the rounds (practice or competitive) go. This is as good as it gets! Television does not do the place justice.

Well after 3 years of applying from the Uk into the lottery programme we got awarded with Tuesday's practice rounds!! Weren't we the lucky ones after the wash out of Monday. Another tick off my bucket list made on my 50th birthday. Awesome, pinch me as I must be dreaming!! Grass so green you had to touch it to test that it was real, not a weed in sight, and those putting surfaces to die for - and I could imagine 3-4 putts coming my way at least!!' We were entertained sat on 16th watching the pros give us a demonstration as to how to walk on water, skipping balls along the lake and onto the green, thanks guys that certainly got the crowd going. Awesome day.

The grounds were immaculate and the crowds were very respectful. The Masters Golf Tournament is a must for any golf fanatic. The organizers of this event know what they are doing and it shows!

A bucket list thing to do, that is for sure! Aside from seeing the golf celebrities, Augusta National is a breathtaking venue that must be experienced to be appreciated. Seeing the course on television does not do it justice! It is a very "hilly" course boarded by never ending trees and gorgeous flowers. The azaleas were in full bloom while we were there! Heaven on earth! Prices in the food areas were extremely reasonable and the gift shop had so many nice things to buy without breaking the bank.

Married to a scratch golfer, I get to see A LOT of golf courses. We were lucky enough to attend the Masters on Mon, Tues, and Wed (practice rounds). While you can't take your cell phones, you can take your real camera. And, let me tell you, you can take pictures from 1 to 18, the entire course is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, it was too warm for the flowers to show their true colors but it was still, by far, the most beautiful course I have ever seen. If given the opportunity, you must go! It's 8 miles of walking up and down "hill" and it's not an easy walk. But, put on those comfy shoes and get it done. Food, drinks, and restrooms are readily available. Shopping is a bit of a nightmare but can be done. You'll wait in line but you'll get your merchandise. It's priced high but not unaffordable. Golf shirts $99 and up, hats $26 and up. Enjoy! It really is a golfer's dream!

Our first time to the Masters and we were lucky enough to get passes for Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, we could not have our phones those days. Fortunately, it's THE Masters and you don't want a phone in your hand when there is so much great golf to see!
If you are just coming on Sunday, head to the second nine to avoid the crowd at the front of the course. Walk the holes and admire the greens while the crowd is at the front. This is also a time to set up your chair(s) if you are wanting to stay at one hole for the day. Also, there are concessions and smaller pop up merchandise stands if you're looking for a hat or smaller souvenirs. The food is cheap and I highly recommend a pimento cheese sandwich, lemonade, and a brownie. The brownies are out of this world, and I purchased extras to take home! The cups make great souvenirs.
If you will be there on Saturday as well, go to the merchandise store Saturday evening. This was perfect timing because we did not have to carry our purchases around, and there was no line at all. Sunday the line was insane, but we were good to just enjoy the tournament.
Even though we didn't wait in line, the store was very crowded and overwhelming. Here are a few tips to get the most for your money, and avoid regret purchases/lack of purchase. First thing I grabbed were postcards. It may seem silly, but without a camera you want some photos of Amen Corner! I kept a few for us, then sent the rest to family members. You don't want to buy EVERYONE you know a t shirt/hat! A pack of magnets also made good souvenirs to keep some/give some. You can split them up and they aren't bulky. Coffee mugs are my last pick for nice, yet inexpensive gifts.
My last shopping tip addresses "sold out" items at the store counters. All around the walls they have clothing on display, and workers to get you requested items. However, I found numerous "sold out" items on the hanging racks around the store. I just had to find the rack and my size, where as the counter did not have any left.
Now, back to why you came to the Masters - golf! We did not take chairs, but plenty of people do. We enjoyed following some favorites a few holes, sitting at Amen Corner for a while in the grandstands, then walking around the course. We enjoyed a go with the flow, but if you're looking to see some killer shots, you may want to bring a chair and pick a hole to sit at for the day. There are no live streams so you will often hear a roar, but you'll have to see it on replay when you leave.
If you are lucky enough to attend a Masters Tournament, do some planning and research, but don't forget to enjoy the game.

After 20 years of entering the lottery we were so fortunate to be offered four tickets to a practice round. We were over the moon in anticipation and the Master's did not disappoint! What an immaculate, gorgeous venue. And the organizers do everything right to ensure you have the best experience, ever! We asked our close friends to join us as they are golf nuts as we are. We were so lucky that our day, Tuesday, was bright and sunny and we could wear shorts and golf shirts and enjoy every bit of the course. Others on Monday and Wednesday unfortunately were faced with rain and course closings.
From the moment we arrived, it felt magical. Parking was easy, the entry, simple if you read the restrictions (no cell phones) and so on. Having been to a very well run US Open, which alternates venues and therefore has less permanent structures (read Porta potties -albeit very nice ones) it was wonderful to have ample spotless permanent bathrooms with no waiting and staff to make certain they remained spotless.
The practice greens gave us a great opportunity to get signatures from players soon after entrance on South gate.
We did join a crowd of folks in a line to get into the main golf shop. The line moved swiftly and while crowded, the setup and staff was efficient in serving customers. There was so much to choose from! My girlfriend and I ducked back in at a later time when it was quieter (note to self: unless rain is threatening go around 11:00) and she purchased even more on the second round.
We walked the entire course and were amazed at how steep/hilly it was, how undulating and small the greens were and gained new appreciation for the challenges the players face from long and not always forgiving fairways to lightening fast greens with sooooo subtle breaks. It is stunning on TV, but TV does not do it justice.
Loved seeing the players, their commeraderie (practice, remember) their taking two or three putts to get a feel or sending in two approach shots one for today's pin placement one for Sunday's. So cool!
Hole 16 was a blast to spend time at as each group played their tee shots then showed their additional skills at skipping the ball across the water to get on the green. Some were sooooo close! The crowd was thoroughly engaged.
We even had our photo snapped by professionals at the clubhouse with the iconic yellow United States with flag on display made of flowers in the background. Received a card with code to download pics. One of each couple and then us as a foursome.
We ate pimento cheese (yum!) and egg salad sandwiches, fruit and cookies, met wonderful people who were all so happy to be there and everyone on staff seemed happy you were there too! What an awesome day!
We walked till we were pooped and still happily walked some more. If we are lucky again to get tickets we might just snug up a chair on 16!
From the tickets ($65 /person), to lunch ($8 for 2 sandwiches, and 2 bottled waters) to merchandise (each item reasonable but we certainly indulged a lot!-be prepared!) to our photograph (free!) we found the Master's was definitely value priced for an unforgettable day that we are still pinching ourselves about.
What a great memory for years to come!

If you are like me, and the Masters and Augusta National are your number one item on your bucket list, rest assured, the experience is everything you could imagine and more. Absolutely nothing disappoints, everything is as perfect as you imagine, and I am still blown away by kindness, attentiveness, and character of the staff and volunteers. World class doesn't even begin to describe them. Patrons were the best in sports, and significantly add to the enjoyment of the day. Unforgettable day. Thank you, Augusta National.

Augusta National has a once great experience into a Wonderful experience. They have work with local police to make the traffic flow smoothly. FREE parking. Used to be a hassle in traffic because everyone was trying to find a cheap parking spot. The grounds and manicured to perfection. All employees and volunteers give the warm welcome as Southerners are known for. New concessions instead of the old army tents without raising prices. A couple can eat and drink all day for $20 unlike other pro sporting events. When inside you think you are in a different world. Almost like Disney Land. I'm honored because I go each year but a wonderful experience for the bucket list person like no other.

Was lucky enough to get masters tickets for a practice round day tbh and it was a lot of fun. Got to see a lot of the course. The course was so nice and in great condition. The parking lot was a nice area and was a good workout to walk a lot but had a great memory there with my dad. I’d def go again.

Attended for the first, hopefully not the last, time with my employer and clients. It was a dream come true. We arrived early, bought chairs at the Berckmans Place gift shop and walked quickly to the 18th green. We left our chairs there and strolled back to Berckmans Place for breakfast. Tried our putting skills out on the replica putting greens before heading inside to enjoy a nice breakfast buffet.
After breakfast we headed to the Berckmans Place gift shop to do some shopping before the first tee time but there was a line so we left Berckmans Place and went to the main shop which was huge. The selection was overwhelming but we soon discovered some things had sold out. I had to purchase individual markers instead of the sets of 4. Sizes like medium and large were in small supply. I am not complaining in the least, just mentioning that by Sunday some things are sold out. After shopping I bag checked my treasures and headed out to the course. By the end of the day I returned to the Berckmans Place gift shop and main golf shop 2 times each and made purchases every time. I had shopping lists from co-workers and friends not to mention my own.
It's a beautiful course. If you wear a fitness device, you'll be delighted at the number of miles you'll walk. Our group ranged from 9 - 12 miles by the end of the day. Be prepared for hills. Don't wear golf shoes or new shoes.
The beauty of the course is breathtaking. Since you can't take pictures, unless you're there for the practice rounds, enjoy the views early before it gets really crowded. Be sure to get your picture taken at Founders Circle. Walk the entire course if you can. Follow your favorite players. Wear sunscreen.
Spend time at the practice area. You get to see players up close. I know everyone says this but you really do have to get the pimento cheese sandwich and/or the egg salad sandwich. For $1.50 each you have no downside and you may enjoy them. I certainly did.
As you're walking the course, you'll hear cheers and applause from holes you just left or haven't gotten to yet. That drove me crazy at first because I couldn't pull out my phone and look up what just happened. That's just the way it is with live sports. You can catch the highlights when you get home. I missed Jordan Speith on 12 by a minute. I missed all the aces at 16. I'm not bitter about that at all...well, maybe just a little bit.
If I had it to do over, I'd organize my shopping list better. I spent too much time making decisions about what I should buy for whom and in what color.
Favorite moments: meeting Condoleezza Rice as I walked into Berckmans Place, seeing Lynn Swann, sitting in the stands, taking the first bite of my pimento cheese sandwich, eating two egg salad sandwiches without guilt or remorse, seeing my favorite golfers up close and realizing I had an amazing view of the pin on 18 from my brand new Masters folding chair.

If you have never been to the Augusta National you should. Not only is this the greatest golf tournament in the world but so patron friendly. The grounds are beautiful! You step off of a busy Washington Road area into a fantasy world. The course is very hilly so be prepared to walk big elevations in areas. This is a must see event.

best run sporting event in the world. Practice makes perfect. If you want to see something you've seen onTV for years this is a must visit.

The pinnacle of golf at the most magnificent venue. The Masters is run as close to perfection as seems possible. One of life's greatest experiences.

Had a ticket for Sunday and joined for a half day before getting away from the crowds. Greens were as fantastic as in previous years and although they are clearly packing in more guests, the lines at the shops moved quickly. Beautiful weather and a great way to spend a Sunday.

Every business should model these basic principals, warm employee greetings, organized facility, deliciousness food and the best ambiance. I’ve had an opportunity to play the course on several occasions. Everything exceeded expectations.

How do you describe the emotion of fulfilling a dream, answer, overwhelming that nearly reduced me to tears, walking across fairways trodden by the golfing greats, standing almost shoulder to shoulder with Rory, Polter, Casey, Langer, Fowler and all the golfing greats
The condition of the course, the unfathomable undulation of fairways and greens, the beauty all around you, I had to pinch myself that little me was finally at the Mecca of all golfing events around the whole world
Work hard, save your pennies crawl there on your hand and knees if you have to, I can die a happy man!!

Was blessed to attend a round of the tournament. Without questions one of the coolest experiences I've had. No need to go on from there - dream come true

First time to Augusta National and my expectations were high after watching it for years on TV and hearing so much about the tradition and perfection. I was fortunate enough to get tickets through the lottery for Monday's Practice Round. We stayed in Madison about halfway between Atlanta and Augusta. Good location but I wouldn't recommend the Days Inn (see other post).
When we arrived my biggest disappointment was that I forgot my camera (camera is OK on practice days only and no cell phones on any days). Everything is managed to perfection from concessions to restrooms to security to crowd control...it is all a well oiled machine with a lot of planning and forethought. Combined with southern hospitality this was just an amazing visit that exceeded my exceptions...by a lot!...and my expectations were very high.
Food was all good, and of course you can't state anything about food without noting the $1.50 Pimento Cheese sandwich, which was very good but what is more impressive is the management of the huge crowds and how effectively they get people through the lines.
Then of course there is a golf course...again far exceeded my expectations. When we first got past the golf shop, concessions and restrooms after entering the north gate we made it to the golf course and I actually thought that I was walking on astro turf....it looked too perfect. Then seeing the players on the practice round is awesome because there is a level of relaxation as you can just feel the respect for each other and the course.
"Respect" is an important part of the Masters. From the time I received my tickets in the mail it was accompanied by a thick brochure that spoke about everything, from proper conduct to parking, and it all was stated in a way that created this feeling of respect for the Masters and Augusta National. After looking over the materials you wouldn't even think of breaking any rules because you have this feeling that you want to live up to the Masters' standards.
Probably the only negative was the long line getting into the golf shop (merchandise) on Monday morning. It felt like being in line at Disney World with lines that weaved in and out of different rooms. The lines move pretty quick but still takes a while as we were anxious to get on the course. While you can fill your stomach for $5 at the concessions, it costs at least a few hundred dollars to fill a small bag in the merchandise area. Lots of great items and as a first timer I had to buy my share. I had heard that you can store your purchases (again like Disney) and pick it up when you leave but by 9:30a the storage was full (they also offer shipping your loot). One tip on the march; if you only want a hat or something simple there are a couple of small merchandise areas on the course and that is a walk-up set up with no lines, but if you want a shirts and the wide selection you can plan to wait in line.
If you have seen my other posts you will know that our family goes to Walt Disney World...a lot. I am always impressed with how Disney manages crowds and their attention to detail and system that they have in place that are sure to impress. I feel exactly the same with the Masters. Like Disney you will not find a piece of paper on the ground at Augusta National. The bathrooms are spotless. Staff is well trained. People are friendly. But at the Masters you won't bankrupt yourself having lunch.

Firstly the reality is that IT's THE MASTERS!!! That alone is enough of a review / explanation.!!! Myself, my 2 son's and a college friend attended the Weds practice / par 3 day. The first thing tat I would say is that the whole thing is highly organized and well run / serviced with tons of employees / volunteers happy and courteous. From the initial FREE parking organization and the security entry it was SMOOOOOOTH!! The course and grounds were absolutely beautiful!! What struck me was the elevation changes, while we all have watched it on TV , the screen does not convey the degree of ups and downs that the course / holes puts into play. The Gift Shop was impressive, but deceiving, while from the outside the line might look not too bad what you don't know is that the line does the cattle run inside so you still have a ways to go. Cudo's to the organization, in that they have for the most part keep the pricing reasonable, and as far as the food concessions, its 1960's like as far as pricing!! Thank you!! I have very bad knees so I was only able to walk the back 9 for the most part but that was a joy!! My son's walked the whole course and more and were on cloud nine!! Being able to attend the par 3 was icing on top. The ability to get some autographs, see the players and their families, up close to Jack and Gary, Ben & Tom !! I must also add that the civility of the spectators to players and each other was incredible !! The myth of placing a chair, leaving and having that chair still there when you come back is TRUE!!! I'm not sure if its something in the water, the beer, the grass or the $ 1.50 sandwiches but please Augusta National send it out world wide ASAP!!! As many have said , a Dream come True, a Bucket List item, but I also selfishly hope that it was the first of a few opportunities to get a little more of the Augusta Spirituality !!!

Augusta National has been Number 1 on my bucket-list for years. When we finally arrived, we it even more beautiful than we imagined. The beauty is only out-done by the customer service. We have never experienced anything like it; anywhere in the World. A dream come true.

A description of this amazing event, really goes without saying. The course is the most beautiful! The players are the best. The patrons are the most respectful...a recipe for a World Class Event!

What a fabulous course. The grounds were picture perfect. Amen to "Amen Corner" ! Everyone so perfectly focused on your experience. We went for the Tuesday practice round. Got to watch Tiger, Phil and Freddie Couples play 5 holes including a joint "skip" across the water at 16. Booked through Winspire. Every detail was perfect. Would highly recommend them for any golf dream adventure.

We won the lottery for a tournament day pass on Thursday. First and foremost this is one place that everyone that plays golf should attempt to go. There is no more beautiful golf course anywhere.
The course is pristine. The food is amazing and cheap. Merchandise is amazing and not so cheap. The vegetation is perfect and beautiful. And of course the best golfers in the world played.
There is a down side to the Masters--NO CELL PHONES! No pictures of one of the best moments in your life.

My husband and I joined my parents for a practice day. The grounds are amazing and beautiful! Great photo opportunities. If you want to get a good parking spot make sure to be there early. Also, hit up the gift shop right away because they will start running out of items the closer you get to play days. I suggest making a beeline for there first. Prices are locked in on sandwiches, etc. So not expensive to eat. Nothing really for Celiacs. My only issue was that security should be more familiar with celiac. We did some research before going about how we could check it. We kept asking where to go to do this. They kept saying you can’t have food. Uh yeah, actually I can. You don’t provide gluten free food so according to ADA you need to have somewhere for me to put my food. Then they were going to let us carry a cooler in but we figured we would get hassled. Finally they figured out where we could check it. It was super far away to get back too and no benches out there. My father is an older gentleman so he was getting very tired out by this. Next time I would just explain to them and carry the food in, minus a cooler. Probably educate them a little more on how to handle celiacs. Life lessons. :) Still an awesome experience.

Truly a special place. I got to the front gate for a photo but stopped by security and the sheriff. Magnolia Lane was worth the trip. Next month is the big event when the area will be crazy. Tickets are almost impossible to get even in the random draw.... I have been in the draw for 8 years to get an any day ticket to see the inside, but no luck yet. It would be neat if there was a visitors centre or small museum to visit.

Attended the Tuesday practice round, what a day, arrived at the Club around 7am , security was like going through an airport.
Some information for those who haven’t been there that I couldn’t find out before I went.
1 there is good size storage lockers you can use at the entrance to the course.
2 you are allowed to take cameras on the practice days, however strictly no phones.
3 you can enter the premises (practice fairway, merchandise and food buildings) at 7 am , however you can’t enter the course till 8am
4 There is a merchandise shop right beside the entry/ exit at the main gate.
5. Food and drinks are cheap
6 there’s always people trying to buy tickets outside the gate
7 Words can not describe been at Augusta on Masters week.

Anyone who rates this below a perfect 5 is lying. I’ve never been treated any better and will never see a more beautiful golf course. I hope I get another opportunity to go back. They’ve thought of everything, great food, drinks, and clean bathrooms.

Have been to The Masters Several times
This year I had the opportunity to hang out at a corporate cabin a Berkmans.
The dining at Berkmans is amazing and you will run into members at every turn. When we entered Berkmans the first person to shake our hand was Lynn Swann and that was how the day began
Berkmans includes replicas of the greens so you can putt like the pros and a pro shop that sells merchandise not found anywhere else on the course
Every blade of grass is perfection at Augusta and the Masters is a bucket list item
Absolutely no cell phones are allowed on the premises so you have to learn to enjoy the match and interact with people

No one is ever going to doubt the AWE of Augusta National. The grounds are immaculate, the food is good and extremely well priced and the trinkets rival that of Disney. (The Average first time attendee spends $700.)
KNOW the rules before you go, give the other attendees their personal space (especially if you are drinking) and take your time. Pack the right chair, find a spot and then explore. Make sure you pack sun screen, sun glasses and a CAMERA (NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED - NOT KIDDING).
Be prepared to walk about 10 miles during your visit. I saw many elderly people having extreme difficulties.

This course is gorgeous. If you can visit the tournament, then you will not be disappointed. If you play the course, then you will be frustrated at times; but then realize where you are playing and soon forget your sorrows.

In all of my years of living in Augusta, I never had the pleasure of attending The Masters until this year. Upon entering, I stood staring in awe at the magnificent beauty that awaited me for least 20 minutes before moving on. It is truly a beautiful place and you will meet people from all over the world. The pimento cheese sandwiches are very pleasing to the palate. It's an experience everyone should aim for at least once.

Walking onto the grounds is like Dorothy walking into Munchkin Land, it is *so* green. This is an unbelievably well-run and pretty tournament event. Everything from the free parking on premises to inexpensive beer and snacks is top notch. The course is hillier than it appears on TV, so it's a bit of a walk from the back end up to the clubhouse. The biggest negative is the difficulty and/or cost of getting tickets.

Has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth...and I'm not just saying that because I like golf. It's absolutely stunning! Combine that with the food and beer prices that are similar to a small town in the midwest...it's even better! Remember...they don't allow cell phones. Who the hell owns a point and shoot anyhow...oh wait...my mom.
Too bad Tiger didn't play this year...other than that it was perfect!

Outstanding as always the Masters is always was excellent. The treasure for the ages. Must see again!

No words can describe the true beauty of Augusta National! To step foot on hallowed golf grounds, there are no words to describe it.
It's the most beautiful golf course I have ever step foot on! TV just can not do it justice!
If you are fortunate enough to get a ticket for the first time, I would highly recommend a practice day. Mon-Wed. You can take in a camera with you on these days, where cameras are not allowed on tournament days and the vibe is loose and electric!
When your there, don't be in a hurry, just take your time and enjoy the beauty of the course.
I was rain shortened on The par 3 contest this year for my first ever visit, but I will not complain.
I do plan on going back next year, and will plan on one practice day so I can truly walk the course again hopefully with the sun out and no rain, and then try and maybe go Thursday for one tournament day.
There is really know way to describe how you will feel once you make it through the gates and your on the grounds!!!! Just unreal, I felt like I was 10 years old stepping foot onto Disney world! And that description does not even do it justice.
After finally hitting the lottery and visiting for the first time I'm going to provide a few tips from what I learned to help out anyone maybe visiting next year for the first time in 2018, or for those who went for the first time this year and will be going back next year for the second time.
Weather: If the day you go calls for rain, hit the gift shop as soon as you enter. And I mean right when the gates open, so plan on getting there by 7:15 am and when the gates open go directly to the gift shop. If the horn blows and they suspend play, they shut everything down, and I mean everything, so if the forecast calls for rain hit the gift shop early as the line will go by fast and you can take your items to your car and then come back in. (If the weather calls for NO rain, then I would hit the gift shop last so you can enjoy your day without having to carry your purchase with you, and if you do not have a car to drop it off.) But trust me, on Wed this year there were several people who hit the course first and when the horn sounded they struck out on being able to buy merchandise and they never got back in when they re-opened for about a half hour as they eventually suspended play the rest of the day and the course was closed. So several people I met had Wed only Badges and were not able to purchase anything because they did not hit the merchandise shop first and rain was in the forecast.
Second, 100% get your picture taken in front of founders circle where the iconic flower bed with the pin flag is in the garden. This is done by a professional photographer and it's free, and you pull up your picture online for free the next day. The line moved pretty fast maybe 20 minutes.
Third: Enjoy..... Just soak in the fact that you are at the masters! I would highly recommend walking the course backwards. So start at the 18th green and go backwards, you can turn around and take photos, and much less traffic if you start backwards.
Travel Tips: Book your hotel as early as possible. Like right now! The sooner you book, the likely hood no deposit is required and you can always cancel ahead of time after you have purchased your tickets and your itinerary is set. I waited until Late August 2017 to book my hotel and by then, all hotels where pay in advance and you had to cancel 3 months prior to the tournament. So please do yourself a favor and book early.
-Also wear the most comfortable pair of shoes, or even golf shoes (soft spikes) Trust me, you will walk more in one day than you do in a week!
Most importantly just relax and enjoy. I found myself so wound up wanting to do it all, and the weather had a lot to do with that, but that's why I will be going back next year one last time, so I can truly relax and be able to walk all 18 holes maybe even twice if the weather allows.
The Masters truly is a tradition unlike any other. Have a great time, you will never ever forget it!

If you are a golfer and want to see one of the most exquisite courses ever developed go to the Masters. It has become a well oiled machine as it pertains to travel, food , merchandising, and Southern hospitality. Food is inexpensive, (try the pulled pork, pimento cheese, and caramel corn). The lines in the merchandising areas move well. Clean restrooms, and walking along with the participants in the practice round is great fun. The players are relaxed and friendly, the trick shots (skipping the ball on the water) on 16 are worth watching. We had no problems with taxi's or shuttles. You need to see the course in person to appreciate the beauty of the course, the severe slope and speed of the greens. Stay all day and watch the army of workers at the end of the day resurrect the course for the next day. Golfers from all over the world are there to watch and take in event.

I used to attend yrs ago when practice round were 20 bucks
Ooh how I wished I had their green thumb. The best part is the sandwiches they r to die for and only a dollar

What can i say, it lived up to everything and more. It is an incredible venue from the moment you enter. With no phones allowed you rely on scoreboards and hearsay from others and I really enjoyed it. I was told it was hilly but i didn't expect it to be as hilly as it was. The food was lovely and very cheap as we all know and you can get lost in that gift store. All in all an amazing experience and to see Tiger win it was like the cherry on top.

You better get your game face on if you're going to tackle a day at the Masters. Arrive super early, buy a chair, and go set it down at one of the greens you want to watch. Then pick an early group you want to follow and walk the whole course with them. You'll be ready for a nap at this point, but you're a gamer big boy, so push on through with a sando (pimento cheese or egg salad or both) and a beverage (water or sweet tea, not a brewski you wino). Then go hit the practice green where you can catch the leaders up close and personal getting warmed up. Then you retire to your chair and watch every group go through your viewing path until the steward asks you to leave the course because it's dark. Fire up my man!! You're at the Masters!!

As a local! I found the negative reviews more of a review of Augusta not the National! It is “like Oz” bc it’s hidden behind giant green walls... on the other side everything is in “color”! Yes it sucks you can’t just walk up and take pictures but, if you could it wouldn’t be so special! There is one small sign in the front they allow pictures to be taken in front of but that’s all! Don’t try to get in you will be arrested! Just don’t waste your gas or a plane ticket thinking you can walk up into a pro shop because that’s just not how it works! Chillax people! If you get the opportunity to go and enjoy it... do it... but, only during an actual tournament!

The greatest golf tournament in America it it's so inspiring to be around so many great golfers and people who love the game who want to be surrounded by the greatest golfers in the world

Even though I'm not a big golf fan, everyone should go at least once !!! The grounds are beautiful, and the energy contagious. So well organized that doesn't feel crowded. Go if you ever get the chance !!

This was my first time attending this prestigious event and it was perfection. Everything is perfect here. The grounds are perfect, the flowers are perfect, the sandwiches are also perfect. Everyone working there was so friendly.
TIPS: We bought merchandise and shipped it. It seems to be the best to do instead of carrying it. Also there is no phones allowed. Make sure to wear lots of sunblock as it got super hot. We also saved the beer cups as souvenirs : )
I would love to go there again.

Attended a practice round of the Masters. After watching on TV for many years this was an exciting experience. So many staff and volunteers, everyone seemed so excited to be there. Great to walk the course, watch players interact with each other. Such a relaxing atmosphere. The grounds were beautiful, well cared for. The merchandise shop was well organized and stocked. The snack shop was also well staffed

My wife and I experiencing thr tournament in person has to be one of the biggest thrills in our lives. We have traveled to many locations, yet have seen few that surpass the natural beauty we have experienced here. The course is in magnificent condition, the volunteers are very helpful and the members are gracious when approached. Few events I've attended have such an affordable pricing schedule for the food and beverage, another bonus!
If you are fortunate enough to be able to get tickets for this tournament, make the trip. You will not be disappointed in anything, once you are inside the gates. Parking is free, on a first come, first served basis. Expect to walk .5 miles to get to the course.
Wear comfortable shoes, your feet will be tired.
Most of all, enjoy the beauty of the grounds. A magnificent facility, well maintained and well organized.
DO NOT TRY TO SNEAK IN YOUR CELL! Everyone goes through a scanner nd the phone will be dedected. You will not be admitted, it's their policy, so follow the rules and avoid having an issue with them.

I purchased tickets through the lottery and got to attend a practice round. The golf course was impeccably beautiful and breathtaking. The food was cheap and everything was so well organized the efficient. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a bucket list experience to have!

The Masters is a money making scheme for the rotten to the core Augusta Government. Augusta is a cesspool D run city with a racist mayor. The Augusta National plan on creating an entire "complex" by buying up all surrounding land and creating an entrance and exit to the city so that tourists will not have to see what a completely ghetto , poorly run and crime run city it is. There are two classes of people here, the rich who are hidden in protected areas of the city and the rest of us, the people paying higher than usual property taxes and watching the corrupt D government pocket the money. Going to the Masters is contributing to the demise of what was once a great historical city now run by a radical racist government. Save your money. The hotels here are absolutely disgusting and over run with homeless and addicts.

Going to the Masters is a truly a surreal experience. The level of preparation by National is key in making this the memorable event it is. They create a level of expectation for behaviour of all that walk through the gates... from the athletes, the guests, the employees and of course the members. Everyone seems to feel good about doing the right thing,.. as it should be. Instead of boasting profits they are supporting traditions of the game of golf- a "gentlemans sport". Come in comfortable shoes, Augusta is hilly, and bring your hat. Guests generally wear "golfing attire" or smart sports outfits however some of the ladies pull off casual elegance... the shoes and a slicker were key this year. Everything was seamless and Tiger pulled it off! We were fortunate enough to get a personal tour by Lou Graham- what a treat. He pointed out the course from the view of the golfer. Berckman's Place takes the experience to a whole different level, there are (2) putting greens to get to "play" the course as well as 4 restaurants... Somehow we always go back for the egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches at the stands. Great people watching at the members only clubhouse and shop.

Well, one more item checked off the bucket list. I must say that I've been to a lot of sporting events, and this is truly the best event I've ever been to and it was just a practice round. Augusta National is the star here... not just the golfers.
We flew in from STL on Sunday afternoon and stayed at the Westin ATL airport. Decent enough hotel, and had Starwood points, so no cash out of pocket. Strategically picked an airport location since we had a 7:00 am flight back to STL on Tuesday morning. Had a great meal at Malone's Steak and Seafood in ATL - if you are ever over that way - I suggest you check it out. Great food and beer selection.
Got up at 5:00 and was on the road to Augusta by 5:30. No issues at all getting over there but ran into traffic around the Washington Rd. exit... which was closed. Thanks to Gene on this forum for the tip about the radio station. Had it tuned to 580 AM the whole time and they give tons of traffic and weather updates for the Masters. Since Washington was closed, they have signs saying 'Turn off GPS and follow signs'... which was good advice as they have 'Golf Traffic' signs strategically placed throughout the city. The signs and traffic led us up to the next exit - River something... and re-routes you through town until you get back onto Washington Rd. from the opposite direction and finally make a left into the free parking lot. We entered gate 6A, and it was a piece of cake getting in there. Have your badge in hand because they have to scan it by hand. Note: if you don't have a bag to check or a chair, head over to the left for the express line.
First thing we did was go to the 'golf store' - which is the biggest 'merchandise tent' I've ever seen. The place is enormous and has every kind of polo, pullover, jacket, quarter zip, hat, and whatever else you want with the Masters logo. 30 minute wait to get in through 'Disney' type ride lines. Very crowded in there and lots of workers re-stocking things. Very efficient checkout, they must have had 30-40 people checking people out. I opted to carry the bags back to the car as opposed to check them. It only took me 15 minutes max to walk the stuff back to the car and back, and in that time, my wife got us a pimento cheese sandwich, egg salad sandwich and a couple beers. I opted to take to the car as opposed to ship or store and retrieve later (which is free). I just didn't want to wait in another long line later. And when we left, the golf shop line was still huge and the line to retrieve merchandise was huge.
The first thing you notice is how nice people are. I'm talking every single employee you see... "Welcome to the Masters", "Have a great day", "Thank you for coming". Everyone from the people checking your badges to the guys working in the restrooms trying to find you open urinals and stalls. It's amazing. I wanted to know where Phil hit the ball from out of the pine needles on 13, and a worker didn't just point to it, he walked me over to it, showed it to me, then whips out pictures showing it... that's what this place is all about.
There were plenty of concession stands and restrooms throughout the course. Lots of signage and they give you a course map when you go in. Never had an issue finding anything. For the day, here's what we sampled: pimento cheese ($1.50), egg salad ($1.50), BBQ pork sandwich ($3), chicken wrap ($3 I think), ice cream sandwich ($1.50), iced tea ($1.50), and both domestic light ($4) and American craft beers ($5).
We walked the whole course. We started out watching Rory on the first few holes. We then got over to the 6 / 16 area and was watching both Jason Day and then Adam Scott skipping balls over 16. This is a must see for a practice round. My favorite hole is #13. Breathtaking. Amen Corner is amazing as well. I suggest getting here and taking in some good viewing and great photos. Coming up 11 to 11 green, 12, and tee off of 13.
Practice range and putting green are good places to see a lot of players too. Saw quite a few of them getting interviewed over by the clubhouse too.
An absolutely amazing day and I cannot get over how breathtaking the course is. Meticulously landscaped and manicured. Not a weed to be found. No way to get the true beauty of this place from pictures or TV. The changes in elevation and the undulation of the greens was really cool to see in person. You hear about it, but until you see it - it's hard to believe. Our fitbits said we walked around 9 miles - but keep in mind a lot of it is up and down.... so we were pretty worn out for our drive back to ATL.
I hope to go back as soon as possible and would love to attend an actual tournament round. Any questions, I'd be glad to try and answer.

This event is amazing, even for none golfers. It is well organised all facilities were clean. The food was remarkable with healthy options available. Obviously it was great to have an English winner Danny Willet.
Fantastic!

the tradition, the people, the golf is the best of the best. what sporting event can you eat lunch and have a beer for under $10 dollars.

Needless to say. the Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club is one of the premier events for worldwide golf. It has become an increasingly exclusive event as the practice round tickets went into lottery assignment at least 10 years ago.
Unfortunatly, Iif you do not have tickets, you are advised not to attend as scalpers will charge you many times the actual ticket price.

Everything you thought and then some. Grass never so greener and perfect, like a carpet. Sand traps that were white like a crushed granite. Trees so majestic over the perfect stadium to play the perfect game. This is a bucket list must. Go early and experience everything you can.

For golf fans, the Masters at Augusta National has to be a "must do" bucket list item for sure. We've attended 3 other golf Majors, this one is 100 times better than all of them. Not to say the US Open or the PGA Championship were poorly ran; just that Augusta National has achieved perfection.
We read some "tips" from the Internet, got up really early so we arrived down Washington Road before 7:30 am on the Friday tournament round. Instead of following the queue of cars, we turned right shortly after the Publix parking lot and bypassed the jammed pack of cars, got directed right to the B-9 lots. Parking was free. It was a short walk to Gate 6A, the main entrance. When it was 8 am, we walked right through the gates, no waiting. They do enforce the no cell phone no camera rules. You go through metal detectors and bags are hand searched. We ended up taking a photo of the Masters display board afterwards, when we got out just for our own cameras. There are no "tickets", Masters has badges that you need to remove from any holders so they can scan it.
Following the advice to go get some breakfast and coffee, then walk the back 9. It was an amazing walk. We got teary eyed when we saw how breathtaking the course was. Meticulously landscaped and manicured fairways; bursts of colors of the flowering dogwoods and azaleas. Everyone comments on the changes in elevation and elevated greens, you don't truly appreciated it until you visit in person. This early, there were very few people walking the back nine, it was like walking in an empty park with birds chirping. A nice way to take in the 9 holes before they are overwhelmed by spectators later.
We really enjoyed Amen Corner; the two foot bridges over the creek. The bed of blooming azaleas in the back woods. Picture perfect just like you see every year on TV. Some of our favorite spots to watch were hole #15 and #16; you can see one group finish putting then tee off on #16 (a par 3). The grand stand had plenty of seating to watch the tee shots clearly tracked in the blue sky, and land on the green. Of course back on hole #11 and #12, it is also the same set up.
On Friday we got to see so many great golfers, Phil Mickelson being the most friendly big name. When we yelled encourage comments, he smiled and tipped his cap. It was amazing.
The shopping: The merchandise selection is enormous!! Never seen so many items and colors and styles. You can spend over $100 for a polo; or as little as $15 for a golf towel. We followed the advice and waited until when we left around 4:30 pm, so we wouldn't have to carry our stuff. There were no lines to get inside, and many cashiers were open for check out.
Disneyland-ish.. "Welcome to the Masters", "Have a great day", "Thank you for coming". Everyone got the same training. If we had a question, we just walked up to anyone to get help. We even saw sweepers that made sure the sidewalks were always pristine, down to getting the pebbles back into the gravel area.
The facility: Many concession stands and restrooms throughout the course. Got to try the pimento cheese ($1.50), egg salad ($1.50), BBQ pork sandwich ($3), chicken wrap ($3),sweet tea ($1.50), beer ($4). We are so used to getting gouged at these events. The prices are shocking reasonable. They also have real restrooms with running water, not porta-potties. Ladies never had to wait, but men did queue up. If you didn't want to spend money buying souvenirs, get a water bottle, it has the Masters logo on it with the names of the 18 holes. Even the drink cups, they are keepsakes.
The patrons: not like the other golf Majors. For one thing, there are a lot less of them than say like the US Open. You won't find beer guzzling profanity spewing young men in their flip flops. This class of spectators is head and shoulder above the "norm"
Free photo: Like the US Open, they offer a photographer in front of the club house, with view down Magnolia Lane. You are given a card with code for downloading it on their web site later. We did it around 4 pm, there were 10 people in front of us.
The chairs: The only golf event that you can place your chair any where you want on the course, and come back to find it when you want to sit in it. The course feels very intimate, up close to the holes, because they allow spectators to sit right at the ropes. Closest to the green/fairway/crossing. Spectators really feel close to the golfers and the action.
This was supposed to be our "once in a life time event", as we don't like to repeat the "Majors" that we attend, whether it be golf or tennis. After this year's experience, we hope we are lucky enough to repeat the Masters many times in the future!!!

My husband was lucky enough to work with his company at the Masters for the entire week and soak in Tiger’s amazing win. He said the grounds were flawless and the flowers were immaculate. You can get a free picture taken at the clubhouse; a plus since cameras and phones are not allowed on the grounds. He said the whole experience felt super exclusive and was something he’ll never forget. The food option though limited, were very affordable and delicious. The pro shop prices decent; he was able to get a few souvenirs without breaking the bank. Great, organized event!

Wow. So Happy To Have Been On The Hallowed Grounds Of Augusta National the same time as the greatest golfers in the world! Huge bonus to have had my personal favorite, Tiger Woods, seal the deal.

We were at the Monday practice round. This golf course is just beautiful! It is so manicured and so worth the visit. Everyone was so friendly, visitors, staff and golfers. The food is very inexpensive and they do a great job of keeping the lines moving. They have it down to a science. The bathrooms are very well kept and there is staff constantly cleaning and restocking whatever is needed. The gift shop had the longest line to get in but even that went quickly. It was extremely crowded in the gift shops, but even that experience wasn't bad. If I get tickets again, I would go back!

Been here many times and this place is one of the true must visits of sports. Fenway, Wrigley, Augusta and Wimbledon. Tickets are harder and harder but worth the visit, even for a practice round

Despite the rain it was truly an awesome experience. One of the most beautiful spots on the planet. You don't have to be a golf fan to enjoy this venue.

We attended the 2016 Masters and it was an incredible event, unmatched in golf competition and probably most sporting events worldwide. The grounds and golf course are like heaven and the food and drinks cheaper than McDonalds. The Augusta National has also purchased houses nearby house for multimillions, tore them down so they could provide spectators with free, yes that right, free parking. The Masters Tournament is an outstanding event and an experience everyone should relish even if you're not a golf fan. For the hours of entertainment, the cost of the Masters is likely cheaper than any major sporting event in the world.

My husband and I were so thrilled that we won the right to buy 2 tickets to the Friday round in the lottery. As the date approached we could hardly sleep. This trip did not disappoint! The course is so beautiful and the entire experience is well orchestrated and thought out so it runs like clockwork. All the volunteers (and they ARE volunteers) are friendly and strive to make sure you are having a wonderful day. Here are a few hints:
- before you go think about where you may want to spend some time watching. There are plenty of grandstand choices including by Amen corner and by 16 (where you can also see the 15th green)
- we arrived at 7:30 and we were glad we did - that gave us time to eat a breakfast sandwich, shop, and walk the back 9 before things really got more crowded. Golf starts later, of course, on Saturday and Sunday
- hats and sunscreen are a must!
- buy a chair ($30) and place it somewhere in the morning - it will be waiting for you when you want to sit down
- expect to spend a lot in the shop - it's a once in a lifetime experience and you need souvenirs!
- after you shop you can stand in very fast moving lines to have your stuff either shipped home or held for you till the end of the day
- don't accidentally take in your cell phone!
- DO stand in the line around the front of the Clubhouse to have your professional FREE photo taken next to the iconic US map made of yellow pansies
- food and beverages are CHEAP! Enjoy a famous pimento sandwich for $1.50 and save your drink/beer cups as souvenirs!
- bathrooms are very clean and well managed
- don't let any line stop you as they truly go quickly!
I hope you have as great of a day as we did!

If you ever get lucky enough to get tickets to the Master’s, you hit the jackpot! It’s a must see! If you think it looks beautiful on tv, wait till you see it in person. It’s a must for anyone’s bucket list.

The Masters was an amazing experience all around ⛳️! Beautiful azaleas and rolling green hills. The pimento sandwiches 🥪 were very tasty!

If you are a fan of sports, this has to be on your bucket list. A buddy and I came down Monday morning. It's about a 4 hour drive. We'd done some research but we were basically blind.
We arrived in Augusta about noon. We did a drive through pass to get the lay of the land. We stopped and spoke with a couple of ticket brokers. Ironic but the second guy we find previously worked in our hometown. Got 2 tickets at a fair price and off we go. Parking took a little longer than expected, but that was due to our lack of knowledge. Free parking was full but we a spot in an apartment complex for a fair price.
We entered gate 10/South Gate. No issues other than I forgot to leave my phone in the car but I simply checked it for free in the gate we go.
If you go later in the afternoon, buy your merchandise first! We didn't and visited Amen Corner. Paradise! Was able to carry my camera in (practice rounds only). We got some great shots. We ate lunch. Sandwich and beer was $5.50. No trash, lush grounds and everything you would expect from the stories.
Our visit was cut short due weather. It was worth coming to. Bucket list item checked off.

The course is more beautiful in the flesh than anyone can imagine. Combined with the American expertise of hospitality made this an unforgettable visit.
Everyone connected with the Masters was friendly in a Southern States way.
Great course
Great people
Great time.

It's not cheap but it's worth it! If you can score the tickets and can afford the travel expenses this is a must do. The grounds are amazing. The service is top notch. The food is .... CHEAP. Just beautiful.

TV does the Masters an injustice - it is so much better close up and personal. The course is beautiful and very hilly and is quite demanding when walking. Superb organising with plentiful close and free car parking, cheap refreshments $4 for beer (with the glass included - take note Twickenham!!), $2 for sandwiches, fruit, coke etc.
Fantastic atmosphere with the patrons being all polite and friendly, the Marshalls were excellent as well.
Fantastic and hope to return again.

Very crowded and long waits for food and merchandise.
Could not get near the greens or tees because of the crowds.
Photo shot on magnolia lane was very slow and you were unable to take
photos with your own camera.
The volunteers were very nice and the restrooms were clean.
This was for Tuesday - practice rounds.

Finally got to visit Augusta National, and it was more amazing than I could have imagined. The course was beautiful, and staff was extremely helpful. This is such a special place for any golfer. Everything was immaculately kept. Bathrooms were convenient and well maintained. Concessions provided a lot of options at reasonable prices. Parking was free, and the merchandise building had many lovely items. It was easy to ship your purchases in the building next door. I can't wait to return again.

It's hard to describe how watching the Masters in person can compare with any other golf tournament. The grounds are impeccably groomed, the history and tradition are preserved and deep. It's an experience you would never forget and though the traffic to get there is not easy, it is SO WORTH THE EFFORT.
Passes are limited, but not impossible and the southern charm of green jacketed members who are volunteering around the course is priceless.

This was our first trip to the masters and it was great in spite of the stormy weather. Everything was done to perfection. The bathrooms with attendants, the security, the stores, the food and drink, and of course the golf course were all exceptional. We were always in view of someone working for the masters. Any of these people could answer any questions we had. It was great!!!!

We really enjoy visiting the course. Everyone is friendly and the practice rounds are fun because you can take pictures of golfers.

Very disappointed in that one of the most prestigious sports landmarks does not have a visitor's center. At least none that we found. Even one that may be offsite. I understand it's a very exclusive course but it is definitely not visitor friendly. Would of like to purchase memorabilia but was unable. Bummer!

The people at my location were very receptive to the patrons who came through our line. We worked good together as a team of students and teachers and health care workers for one week.

It is stunningly beautiful once you get into the gates - they have the hugest Azalea bushes I have ever seen. And the Greens are a visual treat. If you dont have tickets for the finals, make sure to go during the practice rounds

Augusta National and the Masters have been described to me by friends, golf media, players and historians as a mecca that can't be beat. Turns out they were all under selling the place. Everything about ANGC and The Masters is perfect. If I could give a 10 star review I would.

I had a ticket for the Monday this year. The storms came in at 12noon and the afternoon was a wash out. But having entered the grounds at 7.30 and the course at 8am I had the best 4 hours of my life. I am so glad I made the decision to walk the back 9 as I new the storms were coming. The course is 100% perfect, I knew it was good but it still surprised me in so many ways. I was just as impressed of the areas around the course, the parts you don't see on the TV. The walk from the admission gate along side the new practise ground to the merchandise shops, everything was perfect! I spent time sitting in the grandstands on the 12th, 13th and 15th and it was golfing heaven. I made my way up to the back of the 18th tee and watched DJ rip one round the corner. by this point it was 12noon at the first storm was close. everyone off the course once I'd got up to the 18th green. Lucky I'd parked really close to the exit so I sat in my car for 2 hours before they let us back in at 2pm. I quickly made my way to the shop to grab what I could and as I was in the shop the course was evacuated again due to a tornado threat. luckily I was able to buy a few things and get out before they closed the shop.
I really hope I get another chance to visit because there was so much more for me to see. But I felt incredibly lucky that I did what I did in the 4 hours I was on the course. an experience i'll never forget.

Had to get this trip checked off the bucket list. The beautiful holes with the flowers are just that. The food concessions offer great prices, probably because you’re going to spend a small fortune at the massive pro shop. A surreal golf fan experience.

2015 was going to be a monumental year for my father's 75th birthday and my 50th.
In my mind I had been planning our first pilgrimage to Augusta National for years, but now how do I put the pieces together to make it work for both of us.
A friend suggested that I look at ForeThePatrons NET and boy was he right. These guys did everything to make the most of our 2 days at the Masters tournament in 2015.
Included in the package was Thurs/ Fri ticket (badges) at the tournament (yes we saw the Big 3 kick things off Thurs morning), accomodations in a large souther home 15min to the front gates, personal driver the entrire time in/ around Augusta, caterered dinners to our large southern home, house stocked with beers, snacks, breakfast items, Augusta airport transfers, sitting chairs for the tournament, and they ever gave me an option of having our chairs set up at whatever hole we wanted (I took advantage of that bogth days due to dad's age) - as a result we say first two rows on #12 & #16, along with amazing "tips" for our two days on the grounds.
Both dad and I haven't stopped talking about it ever since. It was a dream come true for both of us.
I certainly could have cheaped out and gone the typical strip hotel route etc. But the hands on approach that ForeThePatrons NET offers if far supperior than anything out there - and trust me, I looked at all options.
It it a once in a lifetime opportinity for most of us.....do it the right way.

My third visit and third trip to the Practice Rounds, but my wife’s first. She is not a golf fan; but, she was stunned at the beauty of this place. As a golf fan, this is the Mecca. It is just fun to walk around and enjoy how spectacular this place is. Plus, it is such a difficult challenge, it is fun to watch the worlds best golfers try to score. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The concessions extremely reasonable, $1.50 for a pimento cheese or egg salad sandwich. Everything is perfect.

What Heaven will look like when you pass through the pearly gates. It's the grandest sporting event you will ever go to. The Augusta National makes it all about the spectators experience.

Amazing grounds to walk around and admire the beautiful course. also shopping was good too. Great tournament.

Attended the Monday Practice Round.
The course lived up to the hype as one would expect from a top tier course in the world. What blew me away was the way they take care of the patrons from the clean restrooms, to the gift shop lines and the cheap food. Here are some tips
1) Wear comfortable shoes and take a hat - Course is very hilly and does not offer a lot of shade.
2) Plan for at least 1 hour in the gift shop
3) Most people walk into the course via Gate 6A. The gift shop located near the other end didn't have a line to get in.
4) We took the back roads from our hotel west of the golf course. Avoid Washington Rd in the am.
5) Everyone in town is super nice.
6) Most of the post round activity happens close to the course and not in Downtown.
Def a great experience. Have fun and enjoy

We've attended many PGA Tournaments over the years and we have gone to all the Majors. The Masters is BY FAR the best run tournament on every level.
All other reviews are spot on: the badges/tickets are not oversold so there is not that uncomfortable crowd suffocating feeling, souvenir prices are hefty, food and beverages inexpensive, parking onsite is free, and the staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful.
The lady's restrooms! You'll think you are at a high end hotel or restaurant.
I brought in my designated pro sports clear 10x10 bag with baby wipes, sunscreen, lip protection, some makeup.
We were amazed how friendly the crowd was at respecting the chairs set-up on greens by the early comers. Setting down your chair allows you the ability to roam the tournament unencumbered then return at will to your designated spot, which for us was 5pm finish of the top golfers on the 18th green. Note: pay attention to the western sky setting sun when choosing your spot😎🌕😎🌕
Staying near I-20 and Wheeler is key for our purposes. Pro tip: book tour hotel/Air BnB early and triple check its cancellation policy before confirming your reservation.
For what it's worth, unlike what another reviewer said, we noticed many staffers enforce their strict no smoking policy.

I live overseas and am an avid golfer. No one at my club had ever been yet we all have been talking about attenting the U.S. Masters for years. Finally after Jordan sank his putt on 18 to win 2015 (we were all watching at the club), I stood up and said "who is in for 2016".....when push came to shove only 4 of us made the voyage.
I was put in charge of spear heading the trip (because of my big mouth), and quickly stumbled upon an outfit called "The Patrons Caddy". These folks were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They took care of our badges, we had a great house 15min fom the gates, catered dinners every night, house stocked with booze + snacks, personal driver during our time (even from Atlanta/ our flights), and the kicker were the "runners" who set up our chairs early morning awaiting our arrival after the long flight.
I was soooo nervous given the amount of money this event cost/ wired, but once I met our driver in Atlanta, I knew it was going to be a week we will never forget.
To say the rest of our members were envious is an understatement considering less than 1% of the worldwide golf population ever gets a chance to attend the U.S. Masters.
Another 4some from our club is attending in 2017 and without a doubt they chose "The Patrons Caddy" - I think they will be owing me some drinks as well;)

You see it on tv one week a year, but the images don’t do this hidden gem justice. Completely shrouded in trees and foliage (you can’t see inside from the roads surrounding the location) sits the most beautiful golf course in the world; Augusta National. Masters is the tournament that is played there every year during the first full week of April. You can not get on the grounds without a ticket, and tickets are sold on a lottery basis. If you are able to obtain tickets, you step into a hidden world of traditions and rules. There is dining available in the form of sandwiches, chips, sodas, waters, etc. no hot foods. There is souvenir shopping galore, but most importantly there is golf!

Vistors come from far and near to see this world famous golf tournament. Tickets can be expensive so plan early. It is worth visitin6.

We went for the Monday practice round and had a fabulous time. Beautiful grounds (duh.) Bring a camera--it's worth it! (Since you cannot bring a cell phone.) Shopping was way more exciting than I imagined. Concession prices are low. And concessions work fast. It was a great day. I will definitely return any chance I get.

I went with a friend of mine from the Washington, DC area and enjoyed seeing the Masters in person, although I have been there on three other occasions, I actually prefer to watch it on TV because I have to use a walker because of a destroyed femoral nerve, which occurred during a hip replacement. If I walk without support, my knee will buckle; however, I was able to move around the course as much as I wanted to. The food is very good, and cheaper than you can get at any restaurant. Merchandise is quite expensive, but you always have to buy at least on souvenir if you visit the Masters. If you have never been, you should go once.

Seriously, The Masters sets the standard for every other sporting event - and more generally for every other event of any type.
The golf: Fantastic. This course was designed for spectators. I’ve been to other golfing events and nothing compares.
The grounds: Immaculate. If you aren’t into golf, then marvel at the foliage because it’s marvelous. Green grass the likes of which you have never seen. Gorgeous flowers. Beautiful trees. Not a scrap of litter anywhere.
The food: Fabulous. Good selection of simple stuff done fantastically well at very low prices. You can’t do better than that. Because concession areas are located throughout the course, my recommendation is to see some stuff, get some snacks, see some more stuff, and then go get some more snacks.
The staff: Friendly! Every single staff member will welcome you to The Masters with a smile and something friendly to say.
The merchandise: Brave the crowds in the shop. The stuff is great and prices are fair. You may not get the chance again, so load up on hats and other merch.

If you have been lucky enough to get tickets to The Masters you have just completed one of your major bucket list items in the world of golf. Whether you are a golfer or not this venue is a must see! It is beautiful beyond words and comparison. We have played The Old course in St. Andrews and the there is no more awe inspiring golf course in the United States or the world for that matter. No photography during the tournament days. Get there early [i.e. 6:00 am] to get premium seats. Amen corner and the 16th hole are fun areas to watch your favorite players. Food is inexpensive and one must have the pimento sandwich. Parking is FREE!

Wow!!! What a Greg experience. I have always wanted to go. Great to walk course and follow all of the golfers or just camp out in a spot and watch all the golfers come by. If you do that, I recommend doing it on a turn that way you get to see all of the golfers come. Food is not expensive but the merchandise is. Very pretty course especially Amen Corner. At Amen corner you get to see holes 11-13. If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Masters. DO NOT turn it down. It is money well spent and you will have a blast. I recommend this amazing experience.

We were immediately struck by the conditions. This is not your ordinary golf course. The grass! My goodness---the Grass was unbelieveable. I have never played or even walked on grass conditions like this. The beauty and the splendiferous nature of the course is unequalled. We wandered around most of the day, watch some golf and just fell in love with the place. Truly an amazing once in a lifetime experience!

Lucky enough to be able to attend on Saturday of the 2019 event.
One of my greatest, if not THE greatest, sporting experiences. It's a superbly staged traditional golf event - no advertising, reasonable priced once inside (it's a long walk from the street to the course - be aware) and very / surprisingly easy to view through a combination of the stands [go early] and flexi-seats provided. Walking the course is straightforward too.
Pure magic!
Only downside is the no-cameras rule.

I had watched the Masters weekend on TV for years. I've played the Masters pool at work and won last year! So this year I went. I walked in and all of a sudden it hits you....the beauty and the fact that you are there. I had tears in my eyes. Not to sound weird but, this place has a spiritual effect on you! It's right outside a busy area.
The employees are all so friendly like they took a page out of Disneyland. So welcoming and the bathrooms were as clean as if they were your own. Nothing was expensive and all the food was prepared and labeled Masters. No Coke sponsorship or Nascar, no tents just class and more class. Put this on your bucket list, wear comfortable shoes and bring a camera as no cell phones are allowed period!!
You are so close to the players that if I tried I could have touched them.

Truly a bucket list item to attend the final day of play at the Masters in Augusta. The course is breathtaking--TV does not do it justice. it is very hilly so wearing comfortable walking shoes is a must. Also, dress in layers. Cell phones are not allowed and neither are camera on tournament days. Food and beer are dirt cheap. Lines are long for everything but they move very quickly. The gift shop is huge and they really do not gouge you on the prices. There are free photos at the Founder's Circle so be sure you find your way to that in front of the club house.

BEAUTIFUL! Everyone should go at least once in their lifetime. It’s an experience to add to your bucket list.

1. Have your official tickets in hand. No fake tickets will be admitted
2. Make your local accommodation 1 year in advance.
3. Be prepared to see the finest golf course on earth. You will see the finest golfers and patrons at any sporting event. Food and beverages will be inexpensive. Parking will be free on Augusta National property.. Once you enter the gates, there will be no misconduct by anyone. If you are lucky enough to attend the practice rounds take your camera once the tournament starts no cameras,

The grounds are so beautiful! The new pro shop is amazingly stocked! (Best selection is during the practice rounds) If you get the chance to go...then go! No need to eat beforehand as the egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches are SO cheap..as is the beer! There is no place I would rather be on Earth during the first full week of April!

With all the fanfare, I had high expectations for the Monday practice at the Masters and it was exceeded. I have been to many sporting events, and this is at the top for beauty, history, and service.
Just going to the bathroom was an experience!
The grounds were perfect, weather great, and we saw Rory hit a hole in 1 on 16!
What a great day, go if you get tickets (they are not worth selling if you can make it!)!

My good friend called me last Wed and informed me he had an extra ticket for Sunday's Masters final round. We left the ATL around 7:30am. Traffic was moderate and we got there around 10:15am. The parking on Berkmans road is huge. We pulled in without any problem, stowed away our phones, and made our way to the gate. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly through the whole course; much like the treatment you get at a 5 star hotel. The food is basic but really good. The golf shop is the size of a supermarket and also efficient. The course is fairly compact which is not really what you can tell from tv. We saw a great deal of the course by walking 10, amen corner, then back up 8 and 9. I saw a great number of places that were "off limits" which I did not expect. It did not appear you could go anywhere in the main clubhouse. Also the par 3 course was off limits to walk anywhere near. We drove up for the day but I'd recommend you try and stay in Augusta the night before and after the Masters.
Nothing short of great!
We went to the Tuesday practice round. Enjoyed watching some of the pros practicing on the greens and around the bunkers. This year there were more people than I saw back in 2013, so maybe they are letting more people in.
The food is very good and inexpensive. They do not overcharge anything there.
The merchandise store was very crowded at times but thinned out once in awhile. You just have to be there at the right time.
All in all, just a great place to be in April, if you can manage it. It's on my bucket list.
