Save your money. $45 is way, way too much for this experience. There is a sensory overload of random art. If you’ve been to the City Museum in St. Louis—this is not nearly as cool. Wish we had skipped it. Crowded and underwhelming. I would not take little kids here, and even my teens thought it was ‘meh’. Waited in line for 20 mins (even though we had pre-paid tickets) and spent an hour inside and then left. Would have enjoyed the local skate park and plaza cruising much more.

We tagged along with family - not quite our thing. It was interesting. Like someone went crazy with a glue gun and supplies at Hobby Lobby. Our only issue was the entry into this show - they were just shy of patting you down after going through metal detectors and purse checks. Great way to kick off the 'experience'. If you're into these man-made shows, you'll love it.

A fun couple of hours. I could have spent all day to read some of the journals etc. Installations ranged from deep to fluff with a laser harp, dino bones and woodland creatures to make sounds with. I say this is a must because photos will not do it justice.

Thoroughly unique experience! Hard to describe, but enjoyed by all in our group ranging in age from 63-77. A must experience!

Awesome interactive fun house! Can easily get lost in there and spend an hour or more inside. Each part of the house brings you to another type of art.

Hard to describe what it is going to Meow Wolf. It's like a magical labyrinth full of art, lights and sound. It's a place where kids and adults have fun.
Loved it and would go there again

Awesome experience! Very interesting, interactive exhibit. If you take your time you can get lost in there for hours. Social media feast for the eyes, photo opportunities everywhere you look. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in Santa Fe. Note: it's a LOT of walking, crawling, stairs, crouching, and just general physical activity if you want to access every part of the exhibit. Think adult jungle gym. Just be prepared for that.

Came here with no idea what to expect. Really blew my mind. Such an amazing space and there is so much to discover. We spent 2.5 hours here and could have spent more. Will definitely visit again or seek out another Meow Wolf in another city when visiting. Big fan!

We loved the Santa Fe Meow Wolf! We have been to the Denver one several times. Take your time. You could check ahead of time for hints of things to interact with by searching the internet. We got all the constellations done correctly and got our little prize! I'm 70 and I enjoy just letting the immersive atmosphere take me to a new place. Enjoy!

It was ok, and we appreciated the efforts of the artists. The story wasn’t difficult to understand , but very hard to literally follow in the house. We could understand the whole multiverse idea, but we ended up looking at rooms and saying “ cool ,” then just walking out with the a crowd of people to the next room and so on. It’s overpriced, like the magnets at the gift shop that are $10. I hope the artists have reaped the benefits of the prices.

This was seriously a waste of time. It is gimmicky and while it might be fun for
Little kids or people in “altered” states, for the regular art lover this is not where one should
Go. It is expensive and I couldn’t wait to leave.

This was such a fun, interesting way to spend an afternoon. The rooms are all creative and trying to find the hidden entrances was a hit with the boys.

First, we made the mistake of not really researching this, just heard about it and went. That said, had a fun time and spent 90 minutes walking around. Others had obviously researched it and I think there's some type of "game" where you are looking for clues and trying to solve something.
If you don't want to do that, it's still cool to just walk around and check it out. It's a "house" within a warehouse that has hidden portals to cool areas. Most are fairly obvious or you'll just follow people (e.g. you climb into the dryer and slide down into another area). Kind of a trippy experience. Pretty enjoyable for any age.

A surreal experience. Somewhat overwhelming.
Some very important tips:
- Go at a time when it will not be busy (maybe a weekday earlier in the day). It can get crowded and people can be annoying and in your way, ruining your experience.
- Plan at least 2 - 3 hours to visit. You may end up spending less time than that, but it's better to be relaxed and have time to experience it than to feel that you have to rush through.
- Take your time and look around in each room, especially in the beginning in the house. Read things about the mystery and watch the videos. Take in the experience. If you rush through the beginning rooms you might not get a sense of the storyline or the mystery. On the other hand, don't worry too much about following the storyline or solving the mystery if that's not your kind of thing.
- Wander around and don't worry about seeing everything in a logical order. There are always several directions to go in. Don't worry about missing things, because you'll end up going back to places you visited before and you can then take those other paths that you didn't take last time.

The artists who developed this sort of interior theme park must have been apprenticing for managing Burning Man. You open a refrigerator and climb in to get to the next room in a very odd house. Closets lead to further rooms, you exit through the fireplace and in between you are astonished by the creativity and actions you can take. For example, there is a massive dinosaur skeleton - you play music on its rib cage by striking each rib with a baton. Kids and adults love it

Our family found Meow wolf engaging for our three year old, seven year old and ten year old but we found it helpful to have one adult per kid because it was so cool. There was a house that had a story of two kids and millions of clues about how it all happened. If you go be aware so you don’t miss anything that is important. It was so fun and one hundred percent recommended by all of us.

Meow Wolf: A Fascinating Labyrinth That Can Lose You in More Ways Than One
Meow Wolf arrives with a reputation that precedes it—a psychedelic, maximalist, interactive art experience that promises to transport you to other dimensions. Walking in, you're immediately hit with the sheer scale and ambition of it all. It’s a Day-Glo fever dream, a sci-fi fantasy, and a surrealist playground all crammed into one explorable space. The level of detail is staggering; every nook is filled, every surface is textured, and every corner seems to hide a secret portal. The initial moments are pure, unadulterated wonder.
The "interesting" part is undeniable. You're encouraged to touch everything, open every door, and crawl through any space that looks remotely passable. One moment you're in what seems like a normal family home, and the next you're stepping through the refrigerator into a glowing, futuristic transit station or climbing through a fireplace into a magical forest. There is a story buried somewhere in the beautiful chaos—a mystery about a family, parallel dimensions, and a cosmic event. The hunt for clues is initially compelling, giving purpose to your exploration and making you feel like a detective in a world designed by Dr. Seuss and William Gibson.
Yet, this is where the paradox of "interestingly boring" begins to creep in. The sheer sensory overload, the relentless onslaught of color, light, and sound, can ironically lead to a strange sort of numbness. After the twentieth secret passage and the fiftieth bizarre object, the novelty begins to wane. The experience becomes less about discovery and more about just... wandering. The narrative, which should act as an anchor, is often too cryptic and scattered to follow effectively. Without that thread, you're left adrift in a sea of impressive but disconnected art installations. You find yourself surrounded by incredible creativity, yet detached from it, the spectacle blurring into a form of aesthetic white noise. It's a bizarre feeling to be in one of the most visually stimulating environments imaginable and find your mind starting to drift.
Meow Wolf is an artistic marvel and a testament to what a collective of creators can achieve. It is absolutely a place worth seeing. However, visitors should be prepared for an experience that is as bewildering as it is brilliant. It’s a place where you can get lost in the best way possible, but also a place where the overwhelming spectacle can, fascinatingly, leave you feeling a little bit empty. It’s an adventure that is, in its own unique and peculiar way, interestingly boring.

Very unique and fun experience. Lots of rooms and almost a little overwhelming to choose which way to go. We spent like an hour and 15 minutes. My favorite was a washer slide into a neon room. I would definitely go early. We went at opening 10am and towards the end it was getting a bit crowded. You do need to crawl and crouch for certain things so be aware of that.

My adult daughter and I were blown away by all of the visual delights and surprises . We definitely spent a good two hours +. This visit made us hopeful to someday visit all of their locations. Impressively created, each room full of its own mind tricks, happily recommend.

We had such a good time checking out every thing. Loved the people dressed up walking around in exhibit. We definitely will look for Meow Wolfs in other cities. Love the hands on experience!!

seriously no way to explain this experience. It was fun, different, bizarre, great for any age from 3 up to 80. Only wish we knew that there were clues to a mystery from the beginning. We had already been there for about an hour when we realized this and didn't want to go back to figure it out. They are serious about timed tickets.

I'm a 75 yr old Grandma who visited Santa Fe for the first time with my daughter and Granddaughter. Meow Wolf was on our "to do" list from the start of planning. We did buy tickets head since it's timed admission. On a busy day that would be a help. From the moment we entered, my Autistic 12 yr old Granddaughter was in her element. There was every kind of sensory experience and she loved it. The three of us split up and each enjoyed our own journey. I think I saw many groups who were there together doing the same thing. There is so much to see and experience that you need to do it at your own pace. It might be too much for smaller children. How do you even explain it to someone? You just have to experience it.

The original original. So much fun, very beautifully constructed. Lots of places to explore and even to have a seat, tucked away and watch what is around you. The portals are small in this one, good reason to stay limber!

Highly creative, confusing, difficult to solve, even for adults. Easy to get lost, overwhelmed and overstimulated. Very interesting, artistic and other-worldly, like a lot of what we saw in New Mexico. Not worth the price of admission. Young adults did enjoy this experience more, and those who love mysteries and science fiction stories.

Amazing place. When you think it's over it's not. So many hidden places to find. You gotta keep going. Adventure awaits!

I was so excited to visit this immersive art exhibit but we were pretty disappointed. Some areas were really neat but I think it was NOT worth the $45 per person we paid. My sister summed it up as a glorified fun house for kids which there were a lot of kids running around everyehere!! There are some very creative areas and music displays which you can play but I think it may have been a lot more fun if we had had some drinks or a "buzz" before going!! I had been looking forward to attending for the last few years and since we were only in our early 60's and NOT 65 they wouldn't give us the senior discount!! Save your money and just watch the videos on YouTube that other people have posted!!!

I went with my daughter on the RailRunner. We took an Uber to Meow Wolf. Meow Wolf was absolutely amazing. We had a fun experience checking out and going through every room. Everyone in Santa was very welcoming and friendly. We definitely want to go again sometime. I highly recommend Meow Wolf to anyone local or tourist.

The biggest achievement of Meow Wolf may not be the eyeball-boggling attraction itself, but the fact its existence appears to provide income for a whole posse of local artists and artistic innovators. Kudos to the entire co-operative.
This is incredible fun for kids of all ages. We had an absolute blast. Very difficult to describe, experience it for yourself. We did take a couple of great photos, including a couple of the very best shots of our entire 4-week holiday.
If you have under-18s, this is more fun than Disney or Universal. At a far nicer scale.

I was pleasantly surprised on my visit to MeowWolf Santa Fe, having purposefully avoided any research on the exhibit ahead of time. There are so many different rooms and passageways to explore, and each one is themed differently. Some are more interactive than others, but we had a blast and spent a couple of hours walking through and looking at everything. I would definitely go back just to take in some more details that I likely missed the first time around.

Love Meow Wolf! Prior to visiting, I experienced the Denver & Vegas locations, and now Santa Fe too!
What's unique about the Santa Fe location is:
-it has a very cohesive story to follow, all starting from a family and their house: it makes for a cool home- base that allows you to more easily retrace your steps so you won't miss any of the spaces!
-It doubles as a music venue at night: we were able to catch a band sound-checking while we were there in the afternoon
-all the little details!: custom papers in the study, folders, home videos, and notebooks to flip through. Many character- based props
-fun cocktails at the bar in the lobby
-really fun portals
Really enjoyed our time there! We were there over 3 hours

Interesting place, but not particularly appreciated by me, a 60 plus year old man. A psychedelic-like experience. Very busy and most people seemed to enjoy it. Facility is amazing in the way it creates an absolute maze on several levels. Parts are hard to navigate for plump and the tall. Despite my mediocre rating, I would not discourage any one from checking out, just look over the website before you decide if it is for you.

Meow-wolf is revolutionizing the museum experience. Tired of going to museums with incomprehensible exhibits like an old shoe or an empty cereal box on a pedestal? Tired of seeing boring explanations by talentless hacks where they have equated The Resurrection with The Hubble Telescope by hanging 3 black t-shirts on a clothesline? You don't have to wonder "is this art?" at The House of Eternal Return. You are surrounded in it. You are immersed in evocative mysteries crafted by highly skilled and imaginative artists. There are no uniformed guards screaming at your kids not to touch anything. They can touch everything! They can run around. You can run around. You are seeing our world through the eyes of living communicators, seers, visionaries who are our contemporaries. Don't take my word for it. I can't explain it. Nobody can. It must be experienced... by you... now... get going!

I'm giving three stars since I'm required to rate the experience in order to enter comments. I'd prefer to comment without rating.
We came not knowing what to expect, and left not sure what we saw. If there was a unifying theme to the individual installations, we were unable to find it. Navigation was challenging; we repeatedly found ourselves back in the same spaces. I didn't see any place to use the tokens; I wish I'd tucked them in spots as my own artistic contribution. Since one of us began having eye strain and balance issues, and both of use were confused and frustrated, we left in less than half an hour.
I dislike seeing so much obvious effort and inspiration and not even being able.to determine if there was a point. I'm not sure what we could have done in advance to enjoy or understand the experience, although a map might have helped. Just not our thing, I guess.

Really fun exhibit, so much to see. Wish I had read some of the hints beforehand as to not miss anything; I would recommend experiencing it first, then stopping in the cafe to read up about it, then going back to catch things you had missed. Treasure hunts and secret rooms were great. Fun for the whole family

So much respect for this work of artistic genius! I suggest going in the first hour, and getting there early for a better experience. What a beautiful and immersive trip! Loved everything about it!

Went with a group of friends and I had no idea what it was. Turned out to be an incredible experience that I would definitely take other people to.

The experience could not have been more satisfying. Right off the bat - the staff were exceedingly helpful to a couple of idiots like us who managed to screw up everything with our tickets. Not a worry - all was taken care of within minutes and the the fantastic adventure began. Nothing we had ever seen before. The work and imagination that went into this museum is incredible. It is a must see.

Fantastic immersive art installation! The mysterious story of a family's disappearance is told with so many creative details, including artistically beautiful spaces, diaries, family photos, children's drawings, videos, documents scattered throughout the house, and funky passages to climb through. Quite an achievement. We wandered around for 2 hours and had a wonderful time. Tickets are for a specific day and entry time. You can stay as long as you like, until they close.

One of the most interesting experiences I have ever done. Many things to discover and explore. Be sure to find the aquarium room and the music room. Secret passages and surprises. Gift shop has some unique gifts.

A really extensive project with something for everyone. A really interesting mix of visuals lighting and music. You just have to see it to believe it.

This museum/art installation was incredible. The story that's being told sends you down a rabbit hole and you come out the other end amazed. Highly recommend seeing this place for yourself.

Quirky. Curious. Woah! Trippy. So imaginative! My teenage son and I didn’t really know what to expect, which is just as well because no description really does Meow Wolf justice. Just go! It’s fun!

For those with full mobility, especially for kids, this is a very fun, immersive experience. You will go through secret passageways, up and down flights, into "trippy" and hyper-artistic spaces. I apologize for words failing me. This is something you have to experience on your own. PLEASE NOTE: Meow Wolf is nearly completely inaccessible to individuals in wheelchairs or with other mobility issues. The venue is filled with steps, stairs and narrow passageways.

Unusual, imaginative, creative….a treat for the eyes and ears. Unlike anything we have done in the past. It was really a great way to spend several hours…however impossible to describe. It’s best you open your mind and abandon expectations…just have fun!

Kids will love it, but adults will likely spend the time dodging children and thinking about how much they just spent on this.

So much fun, interesting, unique and one of the coolest gift shops around! We went here for our anniversary celebration and it was a wonderful experience. We were entertained by the exhibit for hours. Don't miss out!

Save your money and your soul. Terrible waste of money. The art was cheap, demonic and evil. The co- creator committed suicide and I felt like I was inside his tortured mind. Truly a very disturbing experience. Not appropriate for anyone, especially children.

I’m not one who does poor reviews or do I like to give meowwolf a bad review. While trying to enjoy our anniversary weekend, we went on a Sunday as this was our last destination to complete our weekend. Sadly to say we were told we needed to leave the building. We were escorted out of the building without being told what we did wrong. Talk about humiliation and embarrassing. We asked what we did wrong and all they could say is that we know what we did. We tried getting an explanation through their main corporate office and they still would not give an answer. We asked if we could get our money back as we didn’t get enjoy the rest of our experience. Sadly we were told no that they don’t do refunds. We will NEVER again do any business with Meowwolf!! I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I seriously just wanted to know what we did wrong.

This place is super cool, it’s so hard to describe! It’s a museum/exhibit/venue….and just this really quirky place where really creative artists have come together with some weird and bizarre ideas. I’ve never seen anything like it. The gift shop is really fun too.

I highly recommend going to any meow wolf you run across! Buy tickets for timed admission a day or two before going. Santa has the shortest daily operating times and Denver the longest.
We've been to: Denver, Las Vegas and Santa fe. Santa fe being the best and the original location, followed by Denver then Las vegas. They are opening one soon in LA and I read the Texas one is very similar to the Santa fe so we probably won't go out of our way.
It's an experience like no other, especially the first time you go. Staff for the most part are nice and helpful. You can find plenty wandering around inside the exhibits even tho I read they just layed off a bunch of staff across all locations. Read the interesting story of the creation of the Santa fe location. The author of game of thrones was involved.
I wouldnt recomend these for young children, like 5/6/7 and under, 8 and over its perfect. My teen and other teens I saw were havubg a blast. There is plenty for small kids to see and do but it's dark, some areas are kinda creepy, easy to get over stimulated by crowds, neon or flashing lights or small/tight places. A couple times i saw small kids stumbled over by adults and parents looking around for their children that wandered off. Some of the art isn't exactly kid friendly either.
The only negatives I have is; the over all price, crowd control and lack of directions while inside. We spent roughly 2 hrs per place though there is no time limit. We also went to each place during the week and not a weekend but in June which probably has higher volumn due to summer travel. The hotel staff in Santa fe said that location is busy every open day year round. The tickets are pricey, $50-$55 for Denver, $54-$64 for las vegas, $40-45 per person per place. There is a membership rate that is a good price but its per location. Some of the sites also have a discounted rate for locals. The gift shop items are unique but also very pricy, Las Vegas and Santa fe offer free parking but it's limited and tight. Denver is an additional $15 on top of ticket price and they have a pricy resturant. Not sure the other locations have the same. I know this type of operation is expensive to start up and run.
The other negative is the timed entry thing, it doesn't work for crowd control. I understand, they don't want to limit how much time you have in each place and some areas you spend way more time in than others. But the sheer volumn of people really took away some of the excitement and fun because you spend time waiting to see stuff or can't spend as much time as you want at certain areas because the mass of people waiting on you. I dont have an answer to fix that. Probably timed entry is about all you can do. Denver amd Las Vegas both let us in 15-20 mins before our "time" so that might not help the crowds. Santa fe had you line up until your time.
They also don't offer maps because they want you to stumble across experiences, also a good idea kinda, but you leave thinking I spent all this money for this but did I see everything? You can get pretty turned around in there. So maybe don't offer a map but clue people, especially one time attendees, into how to make sure you are making the most if your visit. Maybe a list of areas. I don't know, but I feel like we probably missed maybe 1/4 of each location. Or maybe not, who knows.
Also, be sure to take advantage of the hand sanitizer. You are touching things that hundreds of people of touched before you and who knows of they every sanitize anything. I'm not a germaphobe, not even close, but my whole party got a bad cold sevral after visiting. Coincidence? Probably but a reminder to wash and sanitize your hands.

Super fun and interesting and bizarre activity to do. Though some exhibits had buttons that seemed like they needed maintenance or fixing. The glasses make a difference for things to appear more 3D! Every time we go into a room there's something new to discover or view from a different perspective. Even the art in the hallway to the bathroom were fun. Lil nuggets of wisdom. I can see why people would get an annual pass.

This was an amazing experience. Our kids wanted to go, and we did, not really knowing what to expect. This is a fantastic, immersive, mind-blowing experience. You step from somewhat ordinary space through hidden doors into extraordinary space. Would have to go many times to absorb it all. And we got a little "lost" which added to the fun. We are now talking about visiting the other Meow Wolf sites.

Third time going here! Probably won't ever get tired of it- always something new to discover and admire :) beautiful space

this was the craziest and coolest place. if you get over-stimulated easily, this is not a place for you. it's wild and colorful and wonderful and fun for adventurous people. it's very interactive if you want to participate.

This was our first time at a place like this. It was very entertaining and very interesting. It got a bit crowded but we was still able to enjoy the place. Very well designed and built. A++

There is so much to see and do here, it will completely blow you away. It’s not your traditional artists collective. It’s an immersive story that you experience firsthand. You will walk, crawl, climb, and backtrack as you put together clues of what happened in this house. Take your time and look at everything. Everything. If there is a hole look in it. See a door, open it. If there is a piece of paper read it. If there is a button, press it. You won’t be disappointed! Take your time and don’t rush. 3 hours went by fast!

We found this experience to be very entertaining! We were looking for something “different” to do while visiting New Mexico and stumbled upon this place. It was priced a little higher than I’d have expected but was a very cool exhibit to explore. There were so many rooms to experience and explore, refrigerators to walk through, a dryer to slide down through, and so many colors and shapes. It seems like a “Cat in the Hat” meets Picasso world. Here your imagination can run wild as you explore the twists and turns of the house and other rooms within. This is an amazing experience to for the whole family, our teenagers were also impressed! We spent roughly 2.5 hours there and really enjoyed it! Look forward to visiting again next time we’re out that way.

Although cool and so intriguing for younger crowds. We are mid 50's love lots of things, but this took time. (we had 2 hours). So I think you could spend a day, or more getting into the story. If you have time to read so much and in the dark with out glasses.... I was lost. Bring your readers you grey hairs.

Our visit to Meow Wolf Santa Fe was an incredible family experience that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped in, we were immersed in a world of creativity and imagination. Every room was spectacular, filled with interactive museum pieces that engaged all of us, young and old alike.
The storyline woven throughout the exhibit was both fun and intriguing, adding an extra layer of excitement as we explored. The attention to detail was remarkable, and we found ourselves marveling at the artistry and thought put into every corner.
Cleanliness was top-notch, which made our visit even more enjoyable. It's clear that the staff take pride in maintaining the space to the highest standards.
We made so many wonderful memories that we'll be talking about for years to come. Meow Wolf Santa Fe is a must-visit for families looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure. Highly recommended!

Before our trip to Santa Fe, my wife and I have never heard of Meow Wolf. However, this is considered one of the places to experience, so we did.
We started in the house (which included walking through the children’s bedroom), and didn’t find it odd so far. However, once we walked through a storage room, we entered another world of visual psychedelic experiences.
My wife and I lasted an hour and a half (even though we were allowed to stay all day). Although we were worn out from exploring all the psychedelic rooms, we still had so much fun!
One tip: make sure to arrive early as Meow Wolf got packed. We arrived at 9:45am (for we had tickets for 10:00am) and there was already a line.

We visited The House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We spent 2 hours exploring the hundreds of immersive, mind bending, psychedelic art exhibits we thought that were done but we keep on finding hidden rooms and staircase. It was a lot of fun. You need to purchase tickets online ahead of time.

Had a great time at Meow Wolf but temper expectations. Booked late afternoon mod-week after reading we might experience lower crowds at that time. No such luck, lines out the door. The problem is the space is meant to be explored and discovered and that’s just not possible when the place is packed when you enter. Before you can “discover” its various surprises you’ve seen 20 people “discover” them. Would have been SO much cooler if they limited crowds, or organized entry so only small groups entered at one time (or if crowds on first part of “house” were controlled. I know there is a storyline if you spend time taking in all details (like reams of paper to read, plus videos with backstory and computer terminals to scan), but there was no room to dive deep given the crowds.
Still worth a visit. Many amazing immersive environments (including a domed hang out space that reeked so strongly of BO we wondered if it was intentional!). A great intro to interactive art. But we spent maybe 90 minutes before crowds simply exhausted us. Also, as others have mentioned, paying for the prismatic glasses was complete waste of money.

Very unique and colorful experience. Every display was different. Was a little disorienting at first. Kids seemed to particularly enjoy it. Not recommended for anyone with a physical disability that limits walking, stooping, or climbing stairs.

So many creative and fascinating elements to see. The layout made it hard to ensure we saw everything. Even with timed entries, it was still quite crowded inside but most people were courteous. The gift shop was nice. We didn’t go to the cafe but it’s nice that it’s there in the building. Parking lot was full when we arrived 30 minutes early (just before noon) but we found free, on street parking near by.

This is a fun, interactive experience and incredibly unique, colorful, and artistic.
It was a fun way to spend a morning in Santa Fe that was a little different from the typical tourist locations.

It’s an Alice in Wonderland experience! Perfect for every age. Do go as early as possible. Timed entry means fewer people in the morning - more space to yourself.

Absolutely delightful! A surprise for all your senses. Fun fun fun. Going to try to go to the other Meow Wolf’s. We went to Santa Fe.

Words cannot describe how terrible this place is. Rude employees and awful service. For the price of admission I was expecting much much more. On top of that the “cocktail bar” was provided terrible drinks at an insane markup. If you want to see what it looks like when a bunch of trust fund kids get together to make neoliberal art look no further than Meow Wolf.

It's hard to describe this experience, but it was really fun! It's an interactive space which has a lot of different rooms, each designed by a different artist. The imagination, creativity, and talent displayed are incredible. I found myself smiling almost continuously as my husband and I made our way through this ...art installation (?) interactive gallery (?) - not sure what to call it, but don't hesitate to go!

I loved this place! It was very interesting, and I really liked that it was interactive. It is a great place to visit for all ages. I loved the imagination that was used to put this all together. Great job Meow Wolf. I cant wait to go back.

Was not my cup of tea. It was a fun house/escape room/Mystery. But it was difficult to get all the information to solve the riddles. To much to sift through. I would never go again. Probably good for older middle school high school and if you are into that.

I struggled with how to convey what it is like to visit Santa Fe’s Meow Wolf installation. It’s labyrinthine, bizarre, mind-bending, dazzling, (and I could go on) but no adjective can adequately describe it because the experience is so subjective. And then it dawned on me. Remember how Alice followed the White Rabbit down a rabbit-hole into Wonderland? That’s what entering the House of Eternal Return is like. Where else can you walk through a refrigerator…encounter a holographic, interdimensional travel agent…stroll through a fairy forest with interactive mushrooms…and play the ribs of a glowing, life-size thermoplastic mastodon?
This home of the original Meow Wolf (there are other installations in Grapevine, TX [5 minutes from DFW], Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV) is in a former bowling alley. That is actually kind of ironic since there are few things more linear than a bowling alley and few things less linear than a Meow Wolf installation!
Cryptic clues to the underlying mystery of the unexplained disappearance of the Selig family abound, but it’s not an escape room (you can exit – and reenter – anytime you want as long as you don’t leave the building). How much time should you plan on spending here? As much as you want. We felt like we only scratched the surface (and didn’t come close to solving the mystery…if that’s even the point!) during our 3-hour visit.
Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks can be purchased at the Float Café & Bar (pictured here) which has the same operating hours as the House of Eternal Return (Sunday-Thursday from 10am-8pm, Friday & Saturday from 10am-10pm, $39-$45/adult and $32-$38/ages 4-12).

What was your score? If you scored —-
More than 110 points, you should definitely go to Meow Wolf
Between 100-110 points, you should consider going to Meow Wolf, but not during Spring Break
100 points or less —- hard pass

Surprise bday gift and was thinking this was an "immersive" event along lines of artist with a twist of Wisconsin House on the rock. Waaay more house on the rock. Surreal. Creative. Sensory challenging. And those descriptions ignore the "solve the mystery and find the clues" aspect. A bit too crowded to sit at key points and ponder the clues to solve the mystery. However, some of the younger people appeared to focus.
Fun 60-120 minutes.

Nothing like it. been there with only three teens. They loved it; they had never seen something like that before. Colorful, engaging, and not for people with epilepsy...
Mine teenagers lost their patience after an hour and a half, but I would take it slower and stay even more.

Wow! Just...WOW!!!!
So, to preface: my friends and I were on a road trip with one of our goals to visit all of the Meow Wolf locations and House of Eternal Return was our first stop. I purposefully tried to keep myself in the dark as it was my first time visiting and I am so glad I did!
As soon as we entered and first saw the house, I felt this sense of wonder just come over me. We entered and quickly saw that there was a way to crawl through the fireplace which we did and when we got up my eyes were filled with amazement! We had entered this big colorful cavern with the bones of some ancient beast hanging above (which we learned could be played like an instrument). I honestly can't even describe the joy we felt exploring the house and all the spaces and rooms connected to it. It was super immersive and filled with incredible artistry. We had so much fun piecing the story behind the house together and had lots of amazing moments. My friend and I even got to dance with an interdimensional creature! We stayed for around 3 hours and enjoyed every second of it. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone! Be sure to check out the gift shop on your way out as well!
Thank you so much to Meow Wolf and all of the artists that contributed to this masterpiece of an experience! I can't wait to come back and experience the house again!

Awesome way to get your mind bent. Amazing art. Too many to look at. Part art installation, part escape room. But all engrossing.
Tip. Get there early. Download the app, there Bluetooth triggers everywhere. Pay attention to find the Easter eggs.

This was a great experience. It went beyond my expectations. We went on a weekday and it wasn't too busy to make it annoying. The adults loved it and the kids loved it.

This place isn't for everyone and definitely wasn't for me. Not to mention the entrance fee is outrageous. I have limited vision in one eye so I caution people who don't see well. You could trip on steps.
Meow Wolf’s style is loud, jarring, and overwhelming, more like a mash-up of carnival funhouse, video-game arcade, and sci-fi movie set than fine art or art at all. The environments are neon-saturated and chaotic, often crammed with random objects, flashing lights, and distorted sounds that can feel more like sensory overload than creativity. Rather than subtlety or refinement, it thrives on shock value, maximalism, and spectacle, sometimes veering into cluttered, kitschy nonsense. It felt like contrived—forced weirdness dressed up as art—with more focus on novelty and Instagrammable backdrops than on depth or cohesion.

Our family from Ohio visited and they were excited to check out Meow Wolf. I purchased tickets for all nine of us and it was NOT Cheap. Even for a NM Resident. My family is neurodivergent and it was very over stimulating to get through. Half of the family left right away to sit in the lobby. The rest of us finished us just because it was so expensive. Make sure that your family or friends are ok with tight spaces and over stimulation. It is very overwhelming and it was not a good experience.

Amazing, mind-bending dream world come to life! Absolutely would recommend! Best immersive art-story I have ever seen!

Perhaps it was the crowds or my mood but this just didn't connect for me. It felt chaotic and shallow. I'm sure the rooms were given a great deal of thought by the artists and I should have done some preparation before entering but after about 20 minutes, my husband and I agreed we had had enough.

What a hoot. Lots of fun. Good to go with a group or by yourself since there's a lot of places where an individual could just sit back and enjoy the visual experience without having to keep up or wait for anybody else.

Fun, different. It is an experience for the imagination and the senses. Allow at least 2 hours to enjoy this place.

Went to Meow Wolf on recommendation from family. We were not disappointed. amazing imagination for these artists. So much unexpected. Loved It!!!

Amazing interactive experience! Very unique. Lots of tight spaces and flashing lights. Reserve tickets ahead.

A lot of fun to explore all of the different exhibits in this interactive art work. You will be left in awe after going thru this experience.

I had high hopes for Meow Wolf Santa Fe, but it was a miserable experience. Despite visiting on a weekday, it was way too crowded—so packed that I could barely move, let alone enjoy the art. It was way too crowded, making it impossible to enjoy the art or follow the story. I felt extremely claustrophobic, constantly squeezed between groups of people, unable to move freely. The lack of ventilation made everything hot, sticky, and uncomfortable. The air felt thick and stale, and honestly, the place smelled bad—like a mix of sweat and old, musty air. It felt dirty, like it needed a deep clean.
The story was another issue—there was way too much material to read. It wasn’t an immersive experience; it felt like a homework assignment in a chaotic, overstimulating environment. I gave up trying to follow it because I physically couldn’t stand there long enough to read anything without being pushed along by the crowd.
By the time I left, I felt physically ill from the heat, the smell, and the overwhelming atmosphere. If it was this bad on a weekday, I’d never step foot in there on a weekend. And considering how expensive tickets are, it was a total waste of money. If you don’t like crowds, poor ventilation, or feeling like you're stuck in a stinky, overpriced maze, skip this place.

We heard rave reviews, and we were not disappointed in the trippy and existentially stimulating visit to Meow Wolf. I must admit I did not do my due diligence and research the story behind the art pieces, but we soaked in as much as we could, and have some homework to do as well. I’m not sure what I would suggest to anyone other than go and see it and keep an open mind and a playful heart. There’s something very touching about the young boy trying to save his hamster and grandmother but I don’t wanna give too much away. The app is definitely interactive, but I didn’t want to keep pulling out my phone, so we just walked around and absorbed as much as we could. I met several people along the way who said the other Meow Wolf in the country are interesting and different too. More than one person suggested the Colorado space as the best of them all. For now I can say I’m a Meow Wolf fan and hope to come back again sometime to learn more and enjoy the ride
.

I stood at the mystic Hotel Santa Fe which was a 10 minute walk from the Meow Wold ajd 3 minute drive! Very friendly staff, ADA accessible, and a trip of a lifetime! I previously did the Meow Wolf in Las Vegas and I'm happy to have experience the original Meow Wolf. Happy 8 year anniversary!
Also, clubbing in the Meow Wolf was out of this world!!!!

This event had a lot of hype, but was disappointing. It looks like stage crafters got together with old junk and threw it together. There was no music or stage entertainment. A lot of places one could get hurt, hit your head or misstep . Just not professionally done.

This was a totally immersive and varied experience, worth visiting at least once. Something quite different, but fun!

Teenage daughters said this was far and away the highlight of our family trip to New Mexico.
This was a sensory experience unlike anything I have ever had before. Words seem inadequate to describe it. Around every corner was a new 'room' completely different from the next. There is no 'path' through it, so you are constantly discovering something new. Nothing scary or inappropriate for young children. Snack bar in house to take a breather before going back inside.
Tickets aren't cheap but the experience is worth it. Purchase ahead of time as they often sell out.

Such a fun experience! I went on my own while I was in town, and even just by myself it was awesome to wander around and explore.

A money making machine living if its former glories. The experience is outdated, with poor narrative and even poorer customer service. Incredibly overpriced and badly organized. The app is helpless and intrusive. For years I had high expectations for the visit and overall I believe it is definitely not worth it.

This place can't be described with words. You must experience it in person! A definite must see if you're in Santa Fe. Book in advance, we went on a Monday and they were turning people away that didn't have tickets purchased in advance.

I have a service dog and the staff was SO helpful and kind. 10/10 would recommend for a service dog team.

Entry a bit confusing. Timed entry, but minimal instructions at door on when exactly you join the line, as emails with info indicate to arrive 10 mins early, people confused outside on what to do. Once inside, the signage isn’t too clear for first timers and an entry associate actually was stern with us about stand back and wait to be called- well- why not let us know that? LACK OF INSTRUCTIONS PRESENT.
Rooms- CROWDED. Timed entry does nothing to help, unless it was even worse prior to that procedure. We could not get into some rooms, even after circulating back, due to crowd.
In our opinion, some rooms were a waste of effort to enter - really nothing much to see but old handmade art that lighting didn’t allow to impress. Since it didn’t cost much, it’s fine but we won’t revisit this Meow.

What a great place to hang out and turn ur mind loose. Thanks for a great time. Heading to one in Houston when I get back k. Bring some fresh mi as to bend....

so many rooms i loved it it was the best I would so there again
sike I just did it to get a good grade

I've been lucky enough to have been to the other Meow Wolf locations already, and my trip to New Mexico was specifically to check out the original in Santa Fe. And every time I read the bad reviews on here by others I just feel sad for them, because it's such a wonderfully unique experience. And also hard to explain. It's definitely a little smaller than the others, but by no means small. Lots to see and do, plan a minimum of 90 minutes for the experience. We had tickets in advance and the line to get in moved quickly. It was crowded, which can hamper the experience while trying to move around some of the tight spaces. So if there are off-hours try to go then. The story portion seems to be limited to the first areas. I didn't engage with any of it this time and it didn't detract from anything. If you're in the area you simply must go.

It was one of my most impressive experiences! Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s “Eternal Return Home” completely overturned my imagination of museums and exhibitions. The entrance door is attracted by colourful hallways, restaurants and souvenir shops, and it is a surprise to connect after entering the luxury house. Each room is an artist-made world, from the refrigerator to the alien jungle, or from the washing machine to the digital space of the future, each step is an unknown adventure. It is recommended that you take time to explore and don’t miss the fun of puzzling the mysteries of the Selig family’s disappearance. The overall space is highly interactive, suitable for adults and children to play together. The service staff is friendly and the environment is very good. If you like immersive art or mystery solving, it’s definitely worth spending the whole day here to enjoy this fantastic journey.

The idea is cool, the artwork is fun, and I really like the story, BUT it was mostly ruined by way too many people being allowed to enter at once.
The story and secret passages are really cool, but everyone is walking all over each other and people are opening doors into you. The “secret” doors aren’t very secretive because people are coming in and out constantly. If I did it again, I would go first thing in the morning and hope it was less crowded.

My husband and I were underwhelmed by this attraction in relation to the price of admission. The parking lot sculptures and lobby areas are more impressive (sophisticated) than the main attraction which is a "farmhouse" with surprising portals, colorful passageways, lights, and weird noises. Most of it was cheezy such as fake foliage with lights, spaceship-like rooms and things painted florescent. Oh, and a room full of shelves with things people throw-out after grandma dies. The hallways and passages are designed for random roaming, but I would have liked more guidance and management of flow vs. people milling around every which way. The plentifiul seating areas were appreciated. Suggest leaving younger chlldren at home as it seems easy for them to get lost in the chaos and potentially terrified.

This was so fun. It wasn't my first Meow Wolf & won't be my last! I wish there was a discount for visiting multiple locations or for going at non-peak times.

Took my 6yr and we easily spent 2hrs running thru the "house". It was basically a hidden door adventure land, with a psychedelic vibe! What do I mean? You have to walk thru the fridge to get to a spaceship multiverse!!
Warning!! There are areas you'll have to crawl thru, squeeze thru (my ass couldn't fit thru some areas), there is a fog room, flashing lights!

Incredible journey that stirs your imagination. The entire family had a great time walking through the different rooms. Definitely have to remember when looking for something fun to do.

This was amazing! The countless ways to explore and experience awesome art is beyond expectations! Highly recommend this experience !

Very trippy, well thought out diversion. There is a theme and solvable mystery running through the weird and disconnected rooms and passageways that shift from crazy, cozy to a little disturbing. You don't feel the need to solve anything though. It is really fun to explore every nook and cranny (even drawers and passageways through refrigerators). You might be in a spaceship in one room and crawl through a fireplace and end up in someone's living room or a treehouse outside at night. I can't say enough about it. I recommend the extra $2 for the glasses (they make things pop in 3D).
The level of detail and amount of stuff they have crammed in there makes it so that you need to backtrack and finds things you missed on your first walk through.
I hear that there are only three of these venues throughout the United States and it is no surprise they are in states with legalized recreational marijuana.

Meow Wolf offered an unparalleled adventure that truly captivated me. Despite its higher price point, the experience justifies the cost. Engaging in an environment filled with sensory stimulation was exhilarating. My discovery of this gem occurred while exploring "things to do" in Santa Fe, and it turned out to be a delightful find. While Meow Wolf might not appeal to every visitor, its unique layout presents an interactive challenge, with crawl spaces that may not accommodate everyone. However, it's designed inclusively, offering alternative routes that don't require maneuvering on hands and knees.

I’ve been going to Meow Wolf since it first opened, and I’m continually impressed by how it keeps evolving. Every time I visit, I notice new elements and details I didn’t see before. Highly recommend going if you’re in Santa Fe, and it’s absolutely worth returning to experience the new art as it grows and changes.

This is a massive art installation, including a 2-story house with a mystery that you can try to solve, and then several rooms of amazing, intriguing artwork, often interactive. There are about 70 rooms in total. There were several fun little portals to go through if you choose to (the washing machine, fridge, and ice plant). There’s also a stage in the back where an amazing aerialist performed. We wandered through in about 2 hours, and felt like we were constantly discovering something new, creative, or amusing.
We went on a Saturday, which was very crowded; I would definitely recommend avoiding weekends, and buying tickets in advance. You can bring a purse (no large than 10” x 10”), but for anything larger you’ll have to use one of their lockers. There’s also no outside food or water allowed, but you can bring in an empty water bottle and fill it once you’re inside.

This looks like it's a place to take young kids, but don't be fooled. This is terrific for all ages. Very colorful, funky, psychedelic, fun, and entertaining. Plan to spend a couple of hours at least, and find all the secret passages.

This is a weird and fun thing to do. Hard to say what it is you wander through an acid trip of rooms and scenes and interact with them.

Fantastic experience, I want to go to all of them now. So creative and beautiful, it definitely lived up to the hype.

Meow Wolf Santa Fe Review:
Absolutely mind-blowing. It’s like stepping into a dream—vivid colors, hidden doors, and wild creativity everywhere. Every corner surprises you. A must-visit for anyone who loves art, mystery, and imagination.

There are several of these around the country and I would say it is worth doing at last once. It is definitely strange but finding the different rooms and looking closely at what materials are used is fun and very interesting. It is pricey so unless each location is markedly different, I would not go again elsewhere.

If you like black lights and neon paint in dark rooms full of people, this is right up your alley. Really kitschy. Way overpriced for what was offered. Parking was a pain. Called it quits 20 minutes after entering. I have no idea why the ratings are so high. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

We did not have any expectations prior to arriving. We assumed it would be 90 minutes to 2 hours tops. We spent 4 hours there - and could have spent even more time! It was unbelievable ... and I would go several times more because I feel every visit would be a unique experience, and you would find things that you never saw the first time around. It was the highlight of our Santa Fe trip, actually. Must-See!

A really fun experience. We spent two solid hours going through all the adjacent and hidden doorways. The artists did an amazing job

I loved exploring all the different rooms and art. My biggest complaint is the price - the ticket itself wasn’t cheap, and neither was the gift shop or bar. I purchased the coins as well, but I wish there were more places to use them within the world. I like that you can stay as long as you want, and to fully explore this place you need several hours. It was my first time visiting, and I couldn’t even attempt to follow the storyline because there was too much to see!
This place is child friendly, although I do wish they offered child-free hours. Some parts felt crowded, especially with younger kids running around. I enjoyed taking pictures with my friend, but I think to do a real deep dive and really get lost, it’s best to break off alone.
We had two drinks at the bar, which is in the same building but right outside of the actual exhibit. They were good, and very sweet! We really appreciated the bartender adding glitter to our drinks, even though we ordered ones that didn’t come with it!

When they say you can't describe this place, they are correct. Just go. It's fun, it's different and they have a margarita topped with cotton candy. A bite to offset the tang of a margarita...great idea!

So much fun! We went here with our 3 year old. Such a neat experience. It's like a haunted house, but not scary. I would love to see their other installations in other cities.

We were disappointed in our Meow Wolf experience. I was super psyched to go; but my husband and I did not "get it". It seemed pointless. Also, too many people inside at once. For such an expensive ticket price, Meow Wolf should do a better job of limiting the number of people inside to improve the overall experience.

Well, we won't ever get that $80.00 back. If you like art that consists of beer cans smashed up & put on a ceiling or random crap put into a frame & circled by smashed bottle tops, this is for you. A bowling ball stuck into a rock was another 'art piece'. There were a couple things that were enjoyable to see but overall it seemed to be put together by a bunch of stoners.

We went to Meow Wolf last week with our family of four and my in-laws. I thought I understood it to be a modern art museum in which each room was "created" by a different artist. I was excited to experience walk-through rooms and interactive art, however, I did not know there is a "story" to the experience that involves a "mystery". (I cannot explain why I did not like it because Trip Advisor won't allow it. This is my third time having to revise this review and I'm about done with the whole site. Why ask for reviews if you cannot be honest and transparent?)
One of my sons was very interested in solving the "mystery" . He wanted to sit in the kitchen and rooms of the main house devouring all the clues, but the amount of information you need to take in to solve the mystery is overwhelming. I do not see that it could be accomplished in one visit and therefore just becomes frustrating as everything is tied to this narrative.
My in-laws were not able to see half of the "museum" because they cannot crawl into small spaces or go up stairs within tunnels, etc. So this was not the family experience we hoped it would be. They more or less saw part of the main floor and then sat on a bench in the "hub" while the rest of us went up, down, and through. It made me feel sad and guilty for leaving them out. There was nothing in the information we received that suggested this would be the case. The facility even emphasized all their handicapped parking spaces. Why? You cannot possibly get a wheelchair through the exhibits.
If you are with little kids who just want to run around and touch stuff they will love it. If you or your group members have any mobility issues or are uncomfortable with small spaces I would pass. There are other reasons not to go but I guess you'll just get to give them your money and find out for yourself.

My husband and I were looking for something to do in Santa Fe and came across Meow Wolf. It was really weird but was also a cool experience. There were things hidden behind doors and in drawers. Next time Id like to do the mystery but then after that I probably wouldn’t choose to go back. My husband and I both got the 3d glasses which didn’t do much so I wouldn’t recommend spending the extra dollar on those.

We did not know what to expect when we bought tickets. But we were curious and I am glad we went. It is quite a unique place and an interesting experience. It is all immersive art. It is kinda weird, for lack of better words, but in a fascinating way. It is a clever lay out. Good for adult and kids (about 8 and up).

It's pretty cool finding all the different rooms and the passageways. It gets crowded quick though. I knocked down my rating just because of having to deal with too many clueless people.

Admission was very expensive, but truly enjoyed our visit. Very unique displays and interesting art. My kids (8 and 11) also enjoyed the visit.

What a fun experience! Felt like Alice going through the looking glass! Surreal and beautiful!! We enjoyed this adventure!

Unexpected and entertaining. Such a fun adventure! This was a perfect addition to our trip to Santa Fe

READ ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE before buying a ticket. this might NOT be “your cup of tea” and its a lot of money to spend on an experience you don’t enjoy, yeah?

The experience blew us away! The place was so creative, immersive and entertaining. Our large group of ladies had a blast and we got to enjoy a dance party once we found the hidden DJ… what a blast we had! Thank you for the great fun

This place is amazing. So much to see and a lot of Lore behind it! It can be overwhelming to get through at times but it is simply because it is huge and there is so much to see and explore!! I am sure kids love it, but for adults too! Definitely a must see when you visit Santa Fe!!!!

While the outside looks like an unassuming warehouse, Meow Wolf was an amazing experience. As you walk in it looks like you are ready to go to a standard play house, or maybe bowling. But right as you enter the door to the front porch of the house, you enter a different world.
Each area inside the art museum was very interesting and enthralling. Our young children really enjoyed walking (and rewalking) through each area - in and out the fireplace and the refrigerator. If you are not with young kids, there is a puzzle to be solved through the whole museum starting at the mailbox.
At the entrance / exit there is a cafeteria and bar for sitting, but you cannot take food or drinks inside.
Be aware - they do not let you bring bags or drinks into the museum. You need to rent a locker for anything (purses, etc.). This included diaper bags and bottles for us - those need to stay outside.
Highly recommend booking a reserved time slot ahead online.

Experience with many levels. You can go just to enjoy the labyrinthine distribution of the rooms or you can get involved in a much more complex search for information.

This place is unbelievable. It was disorienting in the best possible way. The art styles were varied and highly detailed. I highly recommend checking out Meow Wolf!

Most people seem to just look at all the cool and fun art; there is a lot. We started with this but realized there is an interactive story/puzzle to be solved in conjunction with the art. Think of it as a combination or escape room & create our own adventure novel & mystery dinner theater. My wife is a visual learner making all the art and video clips informative and fun for her. I like data, the printed texts were perfect for me. We spent 4 hours here and barely solved the puzzle before closing. We had so much fun doing so. We reviewed our solution with staff member Red who is super into the whole story. Red also gave us excellent dinner recommendations. Please give Red a raise!

We almost didn’t go because i read mixed reviews online. However, I’m so glad we finally decided to give Meow Wolf a try. It was a creative, interactive, artistic adventure unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Our two boys (11 and 13) were not excited about it beforehand-let’s face it, nothing beyond outdoor adventures and gaming generally excites them these days. However, they thanked us for taking them and talked about Meow Wolf long after we left. Well done! Note: I also don’t write reviews often but wanted to share our positive experience.

One of the coolest experiences out there with and if you do the story you feel like a detective and there is a hamster in almost every room and I don’t think my kids could have a better time at a art installation 😂 overall one of the best things out there 11/10 I would love to go again

Unique experience. Download the Meow Wolf app for additional fun. The undersea room is my favorite. Great photo opportunity.

Sooooooo much fun! Made us feel like kids again! There were unexpected turns that opened portals to spaces that were dreamy, eerie, kooky, and bizarre with experiences that were interactive.

Hard to describe this experience -- it's kind of mind-blowing. Take a minute as you enter to get your bearings, and if you want a more immersive experience, definitely follow the clues and watch the videos on the small-display screens scattered around. At the end there's a long video that helps you unravel things if you want the 'complete' story. I tried to explain this to someone this way: It's like House on the Rock (WI) had a baby with a haunted house, amusement park, interactive art installation combined with the puzzles of an escape room. Amazing!

One of the coolest places on earth. This informative interactive spot will be on our visit list whenever we are close enough to drive to one. My family enjoyed our vist to this place emensely. Give your self plenty of time because when you think you have seen it all you will find another section that was hidden or a passage that you missed.

We really enjoyed this experience. My only issue I had was one letter talking about one of the co-founder’s death—there was a cuss word starting with F. With so many kids, that was disappointing.
We went on a Monday so maybe it wasn’t as crowded? Or because you purchase tickets and pick a time, it cuts down on the crowds? Whatever the reason, it was not that crowded.
Give yourself at least 2 hours. If you have kids and use the app, you might need 3 hours.
Be sure to touch everything because you never know what will happen. There are knobs that create music, frog creatures that sing and growl, skeletons that sound like Piano notes, and much more. We are in our 50s and did not bring any children and still really enjoyed it.
Caution to those who cannot be in flashing lights. There are several rooms that have them, but there are signs that indicate that.
There’s also another one located in Texas that we plan to take our grandchildren too.

Awful experience. Don't go on a Bronco game day. Unless you want to pay 85$ for a parking space adjacent to the Meow Wolf "experience". Definitely a problem for people like myself and my sister with mobility issues.

Such an unexpectedly amazing experience! We loved every mind bending room. There is so much to see you could easily spend hours here and still not see everything. Get the $1 glasses! The tokens are more of a kid item for a mini game room. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed and can’t wait to visit the locations in other cities!

Went with my family including a teenage son. The ability to be immersed in an artist's vision was wonderful. What is the best part I think is that you still remember, think about, and muse over something you experienced weeks later. We all had our favorite space and we talked about it. Really great family experience.

As they say, if you get lost, you're doing it right. Hidden passages, interactive pictures, awesome lighting. Wonderful experience, would do it again.

Every corner had a hidden gem, something interesting to not just see though also interact with. This Meow Wolf more than fulfilled our expectations! It was myself along with my 6 and 8 year old, we spent a total of 3.5 hours in the SF location, with one snack break at the little cafe there.
We have also went to the Dallas one where we walked around and saw everything though didn't engage as much with the story and the app. This time though we used the app and followed the story which made it so much more of an interesting experience and helped us find meaning behind so much of the art. Myself AND the kids were equally engaged through it all and didn't even want to leave! The creativity, art, storyline, mysteries and the on site ACTORS were awesome. I highly recommend the experience....just avoid the gift shop unless you are okay with spending $40 on a small stuffed toy.

I admit, parts of the exhibit were fun. But after awhile, it just became a bit monotonous and serious sensory overload. It stopped being fun pretty quick. My favorite areas were the undersea area, when you're up in the trees, and well, that was about it. It felt like Chuck E Cheese on crack, if that makes sense. It's fun that it's interactive and you can touch everything, but still, I don't plan to go back and now that I know what the hype is about, I don't need to bother with any of the other versions. Now, if it was an interactive Harry Potter exhibit, that would be another story.
ALSO, what the **** is up with the bondage masks on display in the gift shop? I'm sorry, there are CHILDREN AT THIS ATTRACTION. What is wrong with you people?

I was so excited to visit after it has been hyped up by friends for so long. The experience was underwhelming and totally overpriced. It was absolutely packed with families (didn’t know this was their demographic for interdimensional/psychedelic experiences?) and how crowded it was made it hard to enjoy the exhibits. It felt dirty, worn out, and gimmicky. The gift shop is full of low quality trinkets and we paid nearly $20 for a margarita. Staff are unfriendly and the whole place has sold out.

My husband and I were left speechless, unable to truly describe the experience. We were moved, in a very positive way. Would love to do it all again just to see how the experience unfolds the second time around. If you are looking for something memorable yet different, and something positive, I would highly recommend this. One could easily take children, there is much to be experienced and explored.

One of the best things we did in Santa Fe. If you have not been to Meow Wolf it is an immersive art experience. Very cool! This is better than the one in Vegas in my opinion.

Just spend the couple of extra bucks when you order tickets to get the 3D glasses. I don't know why they don't come standard with your ticket, but we were there for more than three hours enjoying every inch of this creative space with hundreds of other people and only a very few had the 3D shades. Some people asked us where we got them and what they did for our experience, and we tried to explain, but you just don't get the full experience without them. I told one girl that she can still get some of the experience if she took a bunch of photos and went back and look at them later with 3D glasses! There's one room specifically that really is not worth hanging around at all unless you have them. The colors change and reveal things that only the glasses can help you see! We loved it obviously - had we not been hungry, we would've stayed even longer.

So much fun! We'd been to the Denver one and loved it, so we had high expectations for this one and it did not disappoint. So many creative, interactive art installations. And we loved the creepy and weird costumed characters wandering around, it was really cool. Also enjoyed the DJ doing weird remixes in the cafe area. Highly recommend!

I really have no idea what to say about Meow Wolf... I still don't even know what it is. 😂 lt was like a cross between the City Museum in St. Louis, an escape room, and an art exhibit. I don't really know… I was very curious about it, but I don’t feel like it was worth the money.
We were so overwhelmed (this trip was all adults, no kids) …we didn’t even attempt to figure out the mystery.

We didn’t care much for this area. We’ve done a lot of traveling and I would have to say between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I would not go again. But Meow Wolf is a great. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done. My kids ages 3 and 12 both enjoyed it. It’s incredibly unique and is definitely something you should do once.

1. Click on the computers; they tell a wild story of the metaverse that stayed with me for days. 2. This is a great way to make use of a vacant bowling alley or big box store that more cities should copy. 3. Hubby said the concept was a 1970s throwback, and was bored, not impressed. 4. It is difficult to describe the experience. You walk through artist-designed rooms and spaces. 5. Don't bother with the special glasses; it's a waste of money; they didn't enhance anything.

Delightful! So many surprises, with interactive displays and amazing visuals! The experience was truly entertaining.

Let me first say that Meow wolf is very surprising and also the mystery to be unraveled is very well put together. The spaces are beautiful and it is also well put together as a whole. It really is an experience that really gives you about two hours of entertainment.
Too bad you can buy tokens in advance ($1 per token) and barely spend them. You can play a few games and move some things for a token and that’s it. Inside, a photobooth is promised. For this I have kept 2 tokens. When going outside, however, there appeared to be no photobooth at all. Too bad missed opportunity and waste of saved tokens. Next door, the entrance fee of $45 is a bit high for the two hours of entertainment the park offers.

If you are a believer and not into experiencing “art” with a feel of the demonic, this place is not for you. I believe interdemensional travel could be possible, but its summary/expression doesn’t have to be laced with demonic figures and paintings. Our little one enjoyed the colors, but we had a bad vibe the whole time we were in there and left in less than an hour.

This is such a unique, playful, and fun thing to do. It's fun for all ages, and you can take as much time as you want, digging deeper into the mystery or simply enjoying the amazing visuals. Definitely worth the money.

I have been dreaming of visiting this place since it was announced aged ago and it didn’t disappoint. In a world where so many experiences are generic and replicated, Meow Wolf’s intimate DIY feel is refreshing. After the pandemic it is nice to be connected to humans again both in person and through their art. Be ready to explore and embrace getting lost. Dig into the story, the more you put into your visit the more you will get out of it. Yes, bring your reading glasses!

So fun and unexpected creativity. One room even smell like cotton candy! The art is in the details for sure. If you are going with seniors, ask out their discount.

It was an amazing trip with tons of stunning visuals, and a hidden story that a lot of people wouldn't pick up on during their first visit, only reason it isn't t stars is due to the very long wait I went through just to get in.

This place is fantastic fun. Better than Omega Mart, which we have visited twice. We spent three hours without realizing it, and we could have spent more. More reasonably priced than other locations I've looked into.

Hmmm…. Not sure I had a great understanding of what this place was about. I think I expected it to be a cool place where you found clues that led you to find hidden passages and books and crannies. In reality, this is a giant art exhibit that you can walk through and immerse yourself in. There were a couple of cool things, but because there was not really any direction, we wound up going through backwards and it kinds ruined the cool factor. It’s advertised as 70 rooms, so I thought it would take all day, but we had finished within two hours. Maybe it would be fun if you had kids, or people who wanted to take a lot of photos. I went with my 21 year old son and we both agreed it was interesting, but not really worth $50 a piece. Also, it was crazy packed. We went on a Saturday afternoon, which I would not recommend. It’s kind of hard to stumble upon hidden rooms when you see lines of people going in and out of the “hidden” passageways.

Meow Wolf is a spectacular place full of colors, lights, and different paths around every corner. The recommended time there is two hours, but we spent three and could easily have spent more!

We had another very cool experience and highly recommend to any and all ages. I've gone twice and this time was less crowded since the kids are in school. The puzzles are an extra touch of fun.

What a cool concept and experience. Really enjoyed the creativity and getting to wonder without a lot of direction. An interesting concept for artists to create in various mediums.

This place was like Twilight Zone meets Funhouse. I did not tell husband where we were going or what to expect. He loved it, he is 69 years old & not easily amused. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic morning at Meow Wolf. The artist are very talented. Make sure you make reservations!! Our son had a Blast!!

This was an awesome experience! My teen granddaughter and I both really enjoyed it! I would highly recommend it. It’s something special to appeal to teens and seniors both

Very fun. Spent about 2 hrs there. Lots of walking around to try to find all the rooms. I'm glad there were places to sit. Bring water

Loved the art, puzzle, free-range exploration of it all! On a mission to go to the others. Sad if more accessible for those with mobility issues.

This place was absolutely amazing. Allow plenty of time because there is so very much to see. The creativity to create this was top notch.

Meow Wolf is indescribably different, very interesting, creative and well worth seeing. I enjoyed my visit very much. It's probably unlike anything else you've ever seen.

What a fun way to experience unique art expression- we loved all the secret doors and unbelievable creative works. Highly recommend for anyone especially kids would love all the nocks and granny’s!

OMG!!! Where to begin? It was two of the best hours we have spent this week while in Santa Fe. The immersion into art of this kind was fantastic! Will recommend to everyone we know who are traveling to this area.

This place is best for children or teens (maybe). It was not interactive enough to be interesting. Don’t waste your money on the 3D glasses. They don’t do much.

Some of the tableaux were interesting and engaging but most were dull and pretentious. I don’t know how some visitors claim they could spend hours and hours there. I had enough after an hour. The house with the purported inter dimensional portal was fun and engaging until the video at the end just ended with no payoff. The glow in the dark trees were nice but in most sections I was thinking, “Did professional artists really create this, or did they just let some kids loose in an arts and crafts store?”

We had an amazing time. My kids had so much fun exploring everything. I am disabled and was not able to do some things, but there were a lot of places for me to sit and enjoy the exhibits. I want to go back.

Went with my son (12) and my father (77), and we loved it. An incredible experience, particularly for my son. Nothing short of magic. We spent hours, and could have spent days. Thank you, Meow Wolf, for this wonderful experience. We'll be back.

I had no idea what to expect. Such creativity! Very elaborate. Helpful, friendly staff. Unusual experiential participation in art and creativity. Very good gift shop.

The best way I can describe this place is that it is a cosmic interactive experience. Did the 9:20am slot witch was the second one of the day. Can get quite crowded. Went from room to room - each was very artistic, unique- even bizarre. Could touch buttons for sounds / sights but was hesitant due to Covid concerns. That said, hand sanitizer was offered throughout. Opted for the 3d glasses but didn’t end up using them- too difficult to keep taking them off and putting them on. Got the optional tokens- used for the photo booth at the end - quality was not great. We spent 2 hours but I’m sure others can get immersed for hours. No time limit is imposed on you. Enjoy!

We visited with a group of 8 friends, all seniors. The young man behind our hotel desk highly recommended it. Obviously many people liked it because the place was crowded on a weekday, but we all hated it. We told an employee we were lost and confused. He said that’s how we should feel. No one told us there was a story to figure out. It is a huge mass of strange, crazy, unnatural, rooms of odd irregular size and shapes.
We bought tickets online ($37 for seniors!). As we walked in a man on his way out told us “don’t waste your money!
He was absolutely right.

I'm super disappointed. I went to a concert at the space. Over half of the exhibit was closed off and the music was garbage. Some birthday.

We went on a Saturday, which may have had more kids than we wanted, but it was fun to watch them explore and learn. It was an awesome, overwhelming (in a good ) way, eye-popping experience. You gotta just go with it, and look for hidden passageways, closed doors, and all the unexpected props in all the rooms. Take your time. The more you look, the more you see, and the more enriched your experience will be. Hand sanitizer might be in order, though! :)

They were looking for private investors when they started up. I'm glad I didn't invest. This is not a long lasting place. It's a fad that will be out of business in five to 10 years. I was bored. It was too crowded. My grandkids liked it OK but I just don't get the big deal about it. Maybe if I was on mushrooms it would have been better. It just isn't really that interactive. I'd never go back.

I am 53, my wife is 45, my kids are 11 and 7 -- and we all totally loved Meow Wolf. for totally different reasons... and for the same reasons. all at the same time.
do yourself a favor and check this out.

Worth a visit but we wouldn't go back. We went at around 3p on a Friday and it was very crowded. The exhibit is interesting but I wouldn't call it "immersive art." It's more just like the "artists" shoved as much stuff as they could in a space and called it art. The set up is the most interesting thing about it. It's clever to be able to move from space to space through a refrigerator, dryer, fireplace,...If you have any balance or vision issues, this place isn't for you. There were quite a few places to twist an ankle or fall. It would also be very easy to lose small children as the lighting is dim and there are dozens of hallways and rooms.

We were a group of ten friends. When we walked in, our introduction was to tell us where the exits and bathrooms were, and to enjoy ourselves.
Unfortunately, this experience seemed to be directed at kids, and seemed to have been put together by a high school theater class. Nothing mysterious, amateurish displays and graphics, and pretty boring.
When my wife and I walked out after 50 minutes, our entire group had already given up. Our review is less than one star, a total waste of time and money.

I absolutely loved this amazing space. Would have liked them to limit the number of guests in the building at one time, it felt a little rushed and cramped in some spaces, but overall I highly recommend a visit.

Meow wolf is an experience in every sense of the word! You can follow the story (multiple stories) or just explore in your own way. We had young kids, teenagers, and adults in our group and everyone had an amazing time! We haven't visited in a while, but the improvements in ticketing, the gift shop, the snack area, and the installations are incredible! Plan for a few hours so you can enjoy!

Everyone is confused and walking around in a very crowded place.
Looks like a great way to separate peoples hard earned money from them.
Don’t waste your time!

It was OK. I'm probably the only one who felt Meow Wolf was "just OK". Most people either love it or hate it. I liked the concept..."experiential" art...but I hated the crowds, and the line to get in. It's great for kids...that's why there are tons (too many?) of them. There was definitely some cool and visually creative parts...but what is it? The officious nature of the entry process and the litany of rules...turned me off. But I get it...its crazy out there. One last issue...$42 plus tax...c'mon bro? If it was $15...I'd say pretty cool. At $45...I was a little underwhelmed. Either way, it did not live up to the hype in y opinion.

I don't think a trip to Santa Fe is complete without visiting. Am amazing place, concept, and one of the coolest collaborations ever. 5th visit between 3 locations and this is still my favorite.

Amazing place! We didn't budget nearly enough time to fully explore this great place. I'll definitely be back with more time to fully explore it.

Strange, weird and interesting. Creative people let their minds go crazy. I didn't download their app so I wish I had a map of everything so I knew if I had missed a room. Kind of fascinating to experience all the creativity. I did think it was very expensive. An adult is charged just under $50 (if you include the various fees!) I wouldn't go again because of the price.

We had a lot of fun wandering the rooms and spaces of Meow Wolf. It's so different than anything I've ever experienced and loved the visit! I highly recommend going for anyone who is creative, playful, and curious.

Meow Wolf takes you to another dimension (several hundred, it feels like) so be prepared to spend several HOURS (yes, you will need the time to process and absorb all the stimulation your brain is going to encounter)! Amazing does not describe this beautiful, wonderful, quirky, science fictional place. It's literally the definition of 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'. Beam me up!

My teen and tween are obsessed with Meow Wolf lore thanks to YouTube and we thought it would be fun to do a road trip and hit a couple of them. Our first stop was Santa Fe, where my daughter loved the aquarium room and took a million pictures. She had to find every secret door and portal, while my son was most excited about the dryer and the refrigerator. I was most impressed by the fact that I could enjoy it completely without knowing anything about the story and I was in awe of the art. It’s definitely something that can only be understood through experience! I was also really impressed with the staff, who were eager to help us figure out the best way to navigate.

Going to House of Eternal Return is one of the coolest things I've ever done! We planned this trip for my partner's birthday, but we also have a 1-year-old, so we were hopeful that we'd be able to enjoy the experience while she was with us. We couldn't have been more happy with our experience! There was so much to enjoy as adults, but it was also a kid-friendly experience, so we were really able to enjoy family time while appreciating the artistry within the installation. We were in awe of the creativity and innovation that went into creating House of Eternal Return, and we're already talking about coming back sans baby so that we have more time to explore the mystery of the house. There is truly something for everyone here!

Shows an entirely different perspective of the art scene in Santa Fe. Definitely not Canyon Road. It’s an enjoyable experience if you are fully present to explore it.

This is the lowest common denominator attempt at entertainment. Rather than make it creative and smart, they choose "weirder is best" and didnt care how pointless it all is. If you like the 3 dimensional interactive part and good art, but want something higher quality, then the City Museum in St Louis is the real place to go.

Was look Iooking forward to this visit, but for a Tuesday afternoon it was way too crowded. We could hardly move from room to room without stumbling over other visitors. I thought the point of purchasing tickets for a time frame was to reduce overcrowding. Also, parking options were terrible.

My partner and I visited on a 21+ night. We arrived an hour 1/2 before closed and did not feel like we had enough time. It seemed small on the surface, but was densely packed with immersive art. They had a DJ playing live music while we were there and that was really neat. The verticality of this gallery is so unique. There's so many ways to go whether it be up or down or sideways. As much as I appreciate the open layout, there were times where I ended up walking in circles because the routes were unclear. All part of exploring I suppose. One of my favorite oddities at MWSF was the musical ribcage. Loved this meow wolf, just wish we had more time. Boop here

Fantastic, great visual and experiential art installation that gave us nearly 5 hours of fun. Really want to thank "The Historian"!

A must visit! The Meow Wolf in Santa Fe is an awesome place to visit, it is definitely a unique & interesting perspective to art. I love the idea of their themed rooms/sections. Make sure you purchase your tickets online prior to stopping by & make sure you have plenty of time because there’s so much to see!!

This was a highlight of our trip to Santa Fe. My wife thought she wouldn’t like it and went ‘for me.’ She loved it! I loved it. Just do yourself a favor and DO NOT miss this.

Poor parking. Terrible, rude staff. Unable to get in contact with any management after several entrance/ service issues. Given a card to “try to contact” about a $300 entrance fee.. this place and it’s staff are a joke

As 60 something year olds, We just didn’t get it! When we got there people were trying to solve a mystery of which we didn’t understand because nothing was explained. I had the app but we didn’t know what to do. We totally appreciated the imagination and art that went into the building of this exhibit, which is what I thought we were doing but the whole solve the mystery thing was so confusing. To have to spend a whole day there looking in each room for some type of clue! Total waste of money for us, we left after about 30 minutes Most people looked to be enjoying it though

This has to be one of the coolest places ever created. I knew Meow Wolf was a unique experience but I had no clue what to expect. I was absolutely blown away by everything here. It makes me want to check out all the other Meow Wolf locations across the country.
Tickets are a little steep but it's absolutely worth it to see everything inside this place.

Meow Wolf was amazing! I'd been wanting to visit for years and finally got the chance on a roadtrip from Cali to Louisiana. I went solo and WOW - the art is absolutely incredible. It truly feels like you're in another universe that continues shifting and morphing with each twist and turn. The details truly transport you, inspiring you imagination and sending you back to the days of playing pretend as a kid :) Even with plenty of visitors, I felt like I was able to have an intimate and private experience as there is so much to explore.
90 minutes truly wasn't long enough. I can't wait to bring friends and go again!

I'm a 67 year old mom and went with my 2 adult daughters. We all want to return and luckily 2 of us live an hour from Denver so will go to that one too. such creativity and colors; we loved that we were in a house going from room to room trying to find the hidden doors.
we did not participate in the scavenger hunt or other puzzles to complete, but you certainly get enough out if it without doing these things.
we first entered into a front hall way next to the living room where a couple came crawling out of the fireplace, we knew we were in for an awesome couple hours!!
open the kitchen fridge and you walk inside a tunnel into many other rooms, slide down into the washing machine to another dimension, we walked in an alley only to turn up in a bedroom closet and walked through the hanging clothes to people in the bedroom wide eyes as we walked out and into the bedroom, ha!! open up a hidden panel and its like Harry Potter's closet under the stairs which led to another half of the house!!
sometimes you wouldn't know there were fake doorways etc. unless you saw someone else go in or come out! so fun!
highly recommend to all ages probably over 10, but not disabled. too much stimulation and hours for little kids.

I was bored after 30 mins and left. Perfect for children. I was expecting something more exciting. I would never go back.

This museum is overrated. Pro: It is a psychedelic, very imaginative. The cons: the parking lot is not big enough, the employees are extremely rude. One yelled at my daughter for being on a phone (which is allowed), and was extremely mean during the intro presentation. Overall, we won’t be recommending this museum or going back.

My mom (75), my daughter (12), and I visited Meow Wolf, and we were blown away! What an experience! It’s incredibly interactive, imaginative, and creative. My 12-year-old, who is Autistic, was in sensory heaven—every corner was filled with secret rooms, hidden passages, mesmerizing textures, dynamic lighting, and immersive themes. The actors in costume moving throughout the space added to the magic. We all loved it and would return in a heartbeat. Honestly, words don’t do it justice—you just have to experience it for yourself. A must-see!

Definitely go if you are in one of the 4 cities that have Meow Wolf. We are a couple in our 60's and really enjoyed it. It would be even better with kids over the age of 5. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there.

Pretty fascinating place to explore. Loved the secret passages! Can't wait to take my grandboys. There is so much to see and explore!!!

This place is awesome! What a trip. Fun for whole family. Words cannot begin to explain this place. You start at a house and the goal is to find out what happened to the occupants. Everything - I mean everything, needs to be explored. You might open a dryer and find its a slide to another world. Or go into a room and exit into the kitchen, or end up in a room covered in carpet or a disco, or a space ship, and on, and on. We expected to only be here for about 1 hr and ended up spending about 2.5 hours. Totally worth getting here and plan on getting lost (on purpose).

Actually visited May of 2021. It was mind bending it was crazy, and I loved every minute of it. It was awesome! It's definitely in my plans to visit again some time.

Trippy, fantastical, and totally amazing! This is the perfect place to reconnect with your inner child. You could visit 10 times and still find things you never noticed before. We totally loved this experience! We were here for about 2 hours, but could have spent much longer.

This was our second Meow Wolf experience, we've been to the Omega Mart in Las Vegas, so it felt both familiar and totally unique. The story I felt was easier to understand than the Vegas version, and it made the exploration feel more immersive and cohesive. We spent a decent amount of time wandering, and it felt like we saw every nook and cranny without dragging on for hours.
This truly is a playground of creativity. We climbed up tree trunks, through holes, and secret passageways. It's equal parts interactive art exhibit, story-driven experience, and funhouse. There were a few things I could see inspired elements of Omega Mart, which was cool to connect.
There was a mix of adults and younger kids, something for everyone. Big plus that you can bring your drinks from the bar inside! The entire thing felt fun, creative, and super interactive. Definitely give yourself a few hours to explore every room that you can in this place. There were quite a few that I wasn't noticing that my husband would clock, so keep your eyes peeled!

This was one of the coolest places I went to, there were so many things to look at. I enjoyed every minute of exploring. I wish it was closer to me to go again.

My partner, our two kids and I had such an incredible time exploring the House of Eternal Return. What a crazy installation and for how insane it is, it was painstakingly curated and gorgeous. I mean... drop dead stunning art and details.
Thank you Meow Wolf for an incredible time and a memory that will last forever. We will definitely be back!!!!

Each time I go to Santa Fe I look forward to going to Meow Wolf. I've been three times and it's the best place to show your friends. It's so unique and you can feel the artistry that went into making it.

Went on a weekday (not a holiday) around 2pm with anytime-tickets. It was so obscenely packed it was bumper cars with humans. Had my 7 year old and my wife. Couldn’t stop to turn around and talk or delegate without getting knocked into. Couldn’t enter any small room without there being 15+ people in a 6x6 area and even if we did find a single spot to breathe, exiting that portion felt like getting onto the highway during rush hour from stand still. Literally did not get ANY part of the story. Constantly blocked my path by people stopping to take selfies. Was allowed my selfie stick by security yet still heckled throughout the exhibit by staff who didn’t know it was already okay’d for me to have. Overall it literally felt like I took $200 and lit a match under it. If you told me this experience I had today was free I still wouldn’t have gone.

What a fabulous, whacky experience. I think it would have helped to have done more research before going as there is a narrative that ee did not fully appreciate. It is worth a visit and you are surprised and entertained for a couple of hours.

This was our first time at a Meow Wolf venue and I can't wait to do more. The art is entertaining and highly interactive; the puzzle is intriguing and challenging; and the attention to detail is amazing. We went twice; the second time was more crowded and there were a lot of very excited and (overstimulated) kids. However, it was fun to watch THEM having so much fun and we didn't have any trouble seeing everything we wanted to see.

I do not believe one single review here is legitimate. We found this attraction to be a colossal bore. The place was rundown, grimy and a massive disappointment. There was no entertainment value. Weird rooms do not make entertainment. Staff was bored and unhelpful.

Went here not knowing what the experience would be like. It was interesting. The rooms were fun and going in and out of hideaway places kept it interesting. Some people seemed to be reading different material in each room like they were looking for some kind of clue. We didn’t know anything about this and if we had, it might of made the experience even more fun. This would be a fun place for kids. Adults would probably enjoy it more if there was some kind of instruction about the clues and what to look for. I wouldn’t go back, but it is a good once and done experience for me.

I was extremely hesitant going to Meow Wolf after a quick look online-- being a "mature" adult I was pretty sure it was out of my wheelhouse-- but my daughter convinced me that it was something we needed to experience while in Santa Fe.
It is really efficiently organized, wait lines are clearly marked by signs, Meow Wolf staff members are quite nice, and the other people in line were very friendly. The attendees ranged from infants (a sign says baby wearing is acceptable) to someone that I was pretty sure was in her 90s.
The facility seems quite large (I think it was previously a bowling alley) but it's because it wraps around itself and is a double decker. Basically is is a huge folk art exhibit with interactive activities, lots of black light sections (my favorite was under the sea), and interesting rooms with things that you could touch and pick-up.
If crowds bother you-- don't go-- you are often in tight spaces (you can come out of a refrigerator or dive into a washing machine. If flashing lights and dark spaces aren't your jam-- don't go. But if you are open to unusual, weird, fun experiences you will be happy-- as was I-- that you went.
Evidently there are two other Meow Wolf facilities out there but according to people who have been to all three the original Santa Fe Meow Wolf is the best.

We had a great time at Meow Wolf. Two adults and our five year old son, who is particularly active and inquisitive. It was a bit crowded on a Sunday morning - it looked like the crowds were dissipating a bit when we left around 1:30pm - if I had to do it over again, I would have booked us tickets for later in the day. The art is very interesting, and the storyline is worth following to understand how everything fits together. I had read up a little bit on it, so I felt like I understood the gist from the beginning - whereas my husband had not, and I had to explain a lot to him :/ The extent to which they have produced material to support that storyline is impressive. I’m not sure that I would go to the same location a second time, but if I find myself in another city where they have an installation I would happily check it out.

This was a very unique experience. We absolutely loved it. It is amazing the façade of the building does not look like much but inside it is an unbelievable maze of so many things. Thoroughly enjoyed. However, if one is claustrophobic or feels a little dizzy in enclosed spaces without windows, one might get a little uncomfortable. But let that not deter you, it will still be a lot of fun to spend time here. Kids of all age groups will absolutely love this.

Every year my (32 year old) and my mother (62 year old) go on a mother daughter vacation. We decided to visit Meow Wolf on a whim after arriving in Santa Fe in the evening. Truly an amazing contemporary art experience. We only briefly focused on mystery/escape room aspect of the exhibit and instead chose to treat the experience as an immersive opportunity. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Don’t try to “understand” or categorize, and don’t ask staff to explain, just exist and interact with the space. We went during the off season and it was busy, but not crowded. If you’re visiting on the weekend or in the summer, I would highly suggest visiting early morning to avoid crowds. Having some space and, at times, silence makes the experience much more meaningful. Middle aged and older folks, don’t let reviews from folks who have to define everything keep you from experiencing an amazingly creative space that will take you back to a place of wonder and amazement!

Going to Meow Wolf Santa Fe is incredible, not only for travelers, but also for the local community! Meow wolf is incredible, it is like being able to jump into another world of fun, distortion and a true jump into the past in future. The Art installations are incredible. I am always in awe of the increíble artists that curate this immersive experience. From visual effects to interactive features, you are able to be a kid again when you go to this exhibit. As a tattoo artist I can very much appreciate the amazing work and creativity that these artists bring together in a whimsical magical world of fun and optical illusion. 10/10 we always bring friends and family from out of town. Our tattoo shop Sugar Skull Studio always recommends to both friends clients and visitors from other states to not miss out on this incredible gem of Santa Fe. Keep doing amazing work! Eve 🖤

An enjoyable experience, highly recommend. The art is interesting, but for us, following the story and looking for the clues was the highlight. We spent 4 1/2 hours here. My teenage son wanted to stay longer, but I was thirsty and tired. I wish we had known about the app from the beginning, as it would have made it easier to solve the puzzles.

Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s House of Eternal Return is a mesmerizing, immersive experience! We loved having the Portal Pass for two days—day one to explore and day two to dive deeper into the story and details. This was our third Meow Wolf after Convergence Station and Omega Mart, and it delivered a totally unique, vibrant vibe. Bonus points for the amazing taco truck in the parking lot—don’t skip it!

Absolutely amazing. We took our daughter for her 14th birthday and she absolutely loved it. Definitely worth the drive and the money

The only reason to go here is if you want to enter a weird confusing maze with no explanation, or if you want to read 30 newspapers to find some halfhearted explanation for said weird confusing maze. Just weird and pointless overall. Don’t pay 40 bucks for this.

I’ve been to the Denver and Las Vegas locations, which were delightful. However, I truly enjoyed this one the best! It felt quicker to get through every single thing, but the density of interesting things is abundant! I would love if they had an adults-only night. It brings me so much joy to see everyday adults get into kid mode!

it's so crowded. We had to wear masks because I went with my grandkids and their parents and one of the grandkids were too young to have gotten the COVID booster yet. It's a mishmash of nonsensical art and hidden passageways with some storyline that ties everything together If you wanna be in there for three hours. I'll never go back I'd rather just stay home and smoke some pot. The volume everywhere was way too loud.

We have been to Santa Fe many times. We like art but are not dedicated fans of one genre or the other, nor are we serious art collectors. But we know a fun time when we see it. Meow Wolf delivers the best/craziness/beyond the imagination art and fun experience. It has got to be seen to be believed. We visited several times its "sister" facility at Area 15 in Las Vegas. This is better! Top ratings!

Very cool but expensive and too many people in at one time. Limited parking, had to park a few blocks away. Very cool concept just WAY to crowded. The number of people takes away from the unique experience.

Very difficult to describe this to others. A truly unique experience, unlike anything else we've done!

in the beginning looks very strange. but after that we got the idea and liked it. it's not only a museum.

Always a fun time at Meow Wolf! LOVED the theme for this experience and would absolutely recommend. Will also most definitely be back.

100% worth a few hours of time for all ages. There were so many secret doors and rooms to explore. The artists did an amazing job with this funky and fun playhouse!

This installation is pretty worn down. Also despite a timed ticket it was crowded (mid weekday). This is really primarily for kids and young teens. Don’t go if you’re really looking for an art installation. And don’t bother with the 3D glasses if you do go.

The most amazing experience!! If you are familiar with City Museum in St. Louis, this is a City Museum for adults! Surprises around every corner, in every cabinet, in the dryer, in the refrigerator, down the shrinking spiral staircase, behind the bookcases, in the mastodon rib cage. Great mystery story line to solve. Could spend all day here. Most highly recommend!

We loved exploring and seeing the artists' work. Very different from anything we have previously seen. We plan to visit the one in Denver based on our experience.

Unlike anything I’ve ever seen/done before. Meow Wolf combines a fun house, house of mirrors and escape room with incredible art and creativity. We were 4 women over 50 and enjoyed our time. I’m sure we “missed” some of it with our ages but felt very youthful and enjoyed the childlike components and playfulness of it all.

So delightfully disorienting, surprising and imaginative at every turn. The person who gave a short talk before we went in said “if you don’t get lost, you probably aren’t doing it right” was 100% correct! We spent 5 hours here and loved every minute.

Really cool place! My teens, husband, and I had a lot of fun touring around Meow wolf and exploring all of the hidden places.

We visited Meow Wolf and had a great time. We had been there back when it first opened and were excited to come back and spend some time there. We had a time limitation where we only had 2 hours to explore, but we could have easily spent more time there. There are a lot of fun and interactive spaces that we really enjoyed and there were some rooms that had been added or changed since we were last there.

I had to climb 25 steep stairs to get to The upper floor. Staff were very unhelpful with giving suggestions on how to Best visit the site. There isn’t a map and people are just supposed to Wander about but if you have mobility issues just wondering about is difficult. Staff said that I should have seen the video about how the site was constructed and known that I would have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the second floor and that there isn’t an elevator. if I had understood these Limitations I would have never chosen to go to this attraction. The attraction had gotten such good reviews I thought that it would Be a great place to visit. It was a lot of money for something that I didn’t enjoy very much. Customer service from the employees was also very poor. I thought that the site had a restaurant but it just had a snack bar and the snacks were extremely overpriced. About four or five times the regular price. Teenagers and little kids seem to like this attraction a lot But it isn’t good at all for Seniors, people with mobility issues or people with disabilities.

Very cool experience! Something for all ages and intellect. Spent about 2 hours exploring. Worth the ticket price

It's so hard to describe. It was still fun despite too many people, some of who were idiots. At one point, my wife and I crawled into a little room, lay on the astroturf, and watched eyes blink on and off on the ceiling, while atonal music played. Incredibly creative and surprising. Some people were following the clues to 2 different stories, while others like ourselves were just enjoying the saturation of our senses.

I love Meow Wolf!! It's so unique, neat, and fun. This is my second Meow Wolf exhibit and each is different in their own ways. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty crowded, but still lots of fun. We only bought one pair of glasses, which aren't totally necessary but kind of fun. We just shared them and didn't even really need them throughout the entire exhibit. We also did not get the app to go deeper into the story. We just wandered around and tried to make sure we didn't miss any of the rooms (and there a lot of them)! Meow Wolf is a great experience.

This is the second Meow Wolf location that I have been to and never disappoints. This is an attraction that people of all ages can enjoy! If you like all things weird and unusual this place will speak to you. No matter what you think experience will be I can promise you it will be wrong. The staff are great and want to ensure that you have the best experience. Don't go in there with any plan because it will quickly be derailed with all of the detours and paths.
While the ticket price is a little steep I promise that it is worth it! You are also supporting local artist to be able to create a one of a kind experience.

My partner and I recently visited and we both loved the place. We went in the evening on an adults only night and it was a good experience - definitely did not feel too crowded. If you are COVID cautious, as I am, you can wear a mask and enjoy the experience.
The amount of detail and effort that has gone into creating this place is truly impressive. There are almost no words to describe it ! An amazing sensory explosion.

This place in short is brain candy. So many bright colors and shiny objects to draw your attention. We really enjoyed the interaction. We were confused if this exhibit also included a mystery to solve. Was there? We seen some people running around with 3D glasses, the staff didn't offer any to us. Where these needed? We both enjoyed it and would recommend. We went on a Monday evening around 5 pm. Still pretty crowded with peeps.

Fantastic!! We were here with our granddaughter when she was 15. This time we brought our grandson who just graduated HS. Can1t be missed! Fun for all ages

I'm not entirely sure that I understood all of the exhibits, but it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. It's honestly hard to describe because everything is so unique, even from one room to another within the installation. I think it is definitely something everyone should experience at least once. A lot of the art installations are interactive to some degree, so it is also a great experience for kids. Some of the spaces can be a little tight, and there are multiple exhibits that require you to walk up stairs or crawl into smaller openings. If you have a disability that limits your movement or just have joint problems, this might not be for you. That said, I'm a bigger guy and was able to get in and out of all the exhibits. It did start to get pretty crowded by the time we finished, so I would urge you to book your tickets for the very first time slot to fully experience everything and enjoy it.

We are party of five persons. 2 seniors and 3 military
I had made reservations for 21st Nov. However, due to winter weather, we decide to stay home.
I requested the customer service of Meow Wolf to refund or issue credit for our tickets.
Within 15 minutes the CS responded with new date and credits transferred to new dates.
I as a past Hotel Owner- I really apricate the quickness they show to respond my request.
V good customer service.

This was definitely a different kind of experience and fun for the entire family! I wish they had had a real cafe (since they don't let you leave and come back, not just snacks, but oh well. Both kids (11 & 14) had fun and hubby and I enjoyed it as well.

Saw it advertised, so took an afternoon to check it out. Very crowded for a Wednesday afternoon. Knew there was a 'story' or 'hunt' to do, but really didn't get a good explanation of what was needed to do. Ended up just exploring the different art areas of the building. We were done in about 90 minutes.

Been here before and loved it. I’m going to sound like a sour puss saying this but the night my sister and I attended the place was full of kids that were not close to their adult units and running amuck and times head on to others as well as me and sis. In crowds this is not safe or pleasant. Parents need to realize it’s not a playground free for all. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Great place except for these critters.

Unique, entertaining and interesting! We are seniors, yet we found this attraction to be fun and interesting! Strongly recommend you not go on a busy day (weekend). You move through the facility at your pace (as allowed by the volume of visitors) and may spend as much time as you like in the various rooms. Free parking. Kids about 6 and older would really enjoy this attraction, I think. You feel that you are nearing “sensory overload” at times, especially immediately after entering. Worth the price! A “different” type of entertainment! This attraction reflects a great amount of creativity.

Amidst a series of peculiar scenes, there is neither a cohesive theme nor a narrative, and the film fails to stir any emotion.

For me it was one of the best memories of Santa Fe. The ticket is expensive but we had a great time. I don’t even know how to define the experience, it’s a kind of art exhibition with secret passages, unlikely scenarios, and the goal is to immerse yourself in the context and find all the most unlikely things.
In here:
-I went into a refrigerator and then came out in a secret passage
- I went into a washing machine
- filming in the room of a teenager's house I found a secret passage behind a bookcase that led me to a room with sparkling clothes
- I played the ribs of a mammoth
I recommend it!! For an afternoon or a morning is the top

There for five hours and could have stayed longer! Fascinating art and storytelling; had fun piecing together the mystery and just being immersed in the world

Definitely an Instagram friendly spot. I think this would be more fun do as a couple or small group than solo, but it was still fun. There is some sort of puzzle to solve which I didn't do, but there was tons to explore even without that. Be sure to open every drawer, door, book, etc to access spaces, see cool stuff, and (if you want) solve the clues.

It was an unique experience. The art works were amazing. But as visitors from Europe and IPhone-users we could not download the app. So we did miss part of the fun.

I enjoyed the interactive and visually overwhelming art. Your app was finicky and kept cutting out.
You minimized the ability to "play along" with the mystery by not informing patrons of the importance of using the app. There should be a video in the lobby explaining the purpose, use, and added fun of following along in the app for added understanding of the game.

Meow Wolf is an interesting place to visit, very unique. We went at a busy time so it was extremely crouded so we weren't able to truly take it all in or participate in the 'mystery' of it all. If you choose to go, I suggest that you don't go on a weekend or holiday.

Meow wolf house of eternal return was an amazing immersive experience that everybody going to santa fe should experience… not quite as spectacular as Omega Marr in Las Vegas… but awesome never the less

I understand why this place isn't for everyone. It's crazy and sensory overload - color, sounds, texture, lights, smells. It's perfect for those who want to explore, for those who want to be surprised. It's for those who want to play, for those who want to discover. Nothing is off limits - open all the drawers, pet the adorable rock creatures, open the flip phones glued to the walls, smack the giant rib cage to find out it plays music. It's for those who love to get caught up in another world... or 2 or 3... It's for those who want to solve a mystery. If you have an open mind, a thirst for creative geniusness and want to be inspired, this is for YOU.
NOW, FOR THE PRACTICAL INFO: it is very much sensory overload. If you have a child that is sensitive to loud noises or flashing lights, be aware. It's a little dark in places - and sometimes the ground isn't super even. It's hard to keep more than 2 people together - be prepared to lose one another. There are squishy places that are easier for smaller folks to get into, but there are also large open staircases and other pathways to get everywhere if you are claustrophobic. This is for any age group. Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours here - probably more. It gets really crowded late morning/early afternoon. Either get there right when it opens or wait until closer to evening. There is a cafe with some food and drinks in an open, lighted area outside of the main attraction to gather your bearings if need be.
Be prepared to be delighted!

They were practicing for a concert during our time there. It was terrible and we could not hear the videos of people talking or the music in the room. It ruined the immersion in the experience. We paid full price for our tickets and this ruined the experience. If u go, make sure u do not leave anything u need in your car. Once u leave the place u can’t come back in. There was a lady that had to breast feed her kid right there because they do not make any accommodations. The last time I went to omega mart it was the same thing. I got a migraine and I asked to step out to take my medicine and be in a place were it was quiet for a bit and they told me once I stepped out, i could not come back. I ended up wasting all of the money I spent. They really need to treat their customers better.

Multiple interconnected rooms on different levels
Each room had a different whimsical theme
Very engaging for their creativity
Apparently there was a story and scavenger hunt that we did not understand and did not participate in
Geared towards young teens to tap into their intuitive nature
Somewhat crowded making it had to engage with most of the props and devices
We stayed for about 1.5 hrs, until we started going into the same rooms repeatedly
I would recommend to friends but with a few suggestions and comments.

Really good attraction, very different. Yes some of the ideas are quirky, may not be for everyone but they really have put a lot of thought into this.
Not suitable for people with limited mobility but worth a visit.

An amazing experience for all!!! I really didn’t know what to expect but it was so amazing and cool and it wasn’t like anything I had ever done before. It is great for all ages kids love to explore and a mystery to solve for adults. The art is amazing as well and so creative

On our multi-week vacation to New Mexico this was my kids' and husband's favorite adventure of all, and none of them are museum people. Truly spectacular. Highly recommend for both adults and kids.
(Note that people with mobility issues should be aware that there are some narrow twisting staircases and need to duck/ crawl through low doorways)

Very interesting experience. Definitely something to see if you like eclectic art and like experiencing different environments.

This was a great experience. I would certinaly do this again here in Santa Fe or another location. Great experience. I would not skip this idea if it is on your possble things to do list.

What an unfortunate experience. This was billed as an interactive art experience for all ages. Some families with kids were great at supervising well behaved children...however there were groups of children and young teens running full speed through the rooms and knocking into young children, adults and exhibits. The place was dirty and tired looking inside. We had been a few years ago and we had a great time. People were curious, took time to see the exhibits and try to solve the mystery of the house. THIS time was chaos at a Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday (it was a Tuesday morning). We spoke to the front about the screaming and running but they seemed to think it was normal. I regret wasting time and money. Convergence Station in Denver is still well run. Next time we'll visit it again.

Wonderful experience - loads of interesting rooms and brain-bending artwork. Really enjoyed how the exhibit drew you in!

This is a must visit location. Make sure you open doors to visit another world. You will love this experience. I had to visit the first Meow Wolf that opened. Now I can experience the other locations.

Such a fun place to visit. It was like walking around in a dream. You didn’t know which way to turn. Definitely download the app because there is a mystery type story to figure out. Its a place you would definitely want to visit again. There is so much to see. So many door ms leading to another room. We loved it.

This is not worth the money or time. Did this with my family (spouse and 2 girls, aged 10 & 11), and none of us "got it." Really weird, don't know how many of the "artists" (loosely use this term) were on good drugs while creating their "art" but just not worth it overall. SPent almost 3 hours, and if you didn't know, there is an app you can use to do a scavenger hunt of sorts but really with no final reward for the supposed story line they make up. not worth the time or money, and WAY too many people. Why do timed entries every 20 min if no one leaves for 2-3 hours? Super crowded and gave me anxiety.

This was one of the most mind melting and coolest things I’ve ever experienced.
We took our son & his girlfriend for his 17th birthday and everyone had an absolute blast! I had seen some photos from the website but they do zero justice to the experience itself. I had no idea what to expect and it was so much freaking fun - like falling down the rabbit hole into Alice’s wonderland. Absolutely 💯 recommend!

Meow Wolf is definitely a must see if you are in Santa Fe, NM. The dedication and ingenuity of the artists responsible for this work of art is immeasurable. From mysterious to quirky, there is something for everyone. Nothing is as it seems. Our group ranged from 5 to 47 and everyone had a blast. Be prepared to walk, slide, and do a crazy dance, so wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

such an exciting and artistic time!! The flow of the exhibit gives you nothing but time. Which allowed me and my friends to get lost in time and enjoy the different environments. FOUR HOURS later and we could not stop talking about it. Just go!! You can enjoy the art, story, or just have fun! I love Santa Fe and Meow wolf is now one of my favorite spots.

Wondered around enjoying things but not sure how to solve the mystery. Maybe a presentation video before hand would help

Enjoyable 90 minutes wandering through some very creative and wild art installations. There were some fabulous spaces which were outstanding and lots of laughs. Not sure if we saw everything, at times it was hard to remember where we had been and where we needed to go.
We purchased the $2 3D glasses. Seemed like some rooms used tokens to enhance the experience but we didn’t bother with that.
We probably could have spent two hours but this was the only time slot we could do - check their closing hours when you book .

Absolutely incredible. My husband and another couple went here while on vacation in Santa Fe. I can't explain it. It's like a children's museum for adults or a fun house. We positively loved it and you will too.
Don't miss it!!!
A little crazy sometimes, but the visuals are extraordinary. Multiple artsy rooms and areas that are completely different. No particular path to follow, but look for hidden spots (doors, cabinets, you get the idea).
