We enjoyed our time at the museum. The museum it’s self was good but the carnival games part was so much fun!!! We had a blast. The store offered some good “souvenirs” and there was a cool bar hang out area. It wasn’t busy when we went so we had a really nice laid back time.

It was ok. I was more excited than I needed to be. There was not as much as I'd have liked to see in there. I will most likely not need to go back.

No point! The showrooms are poorly assembled. For example, the first floor refers to the past but the room is poorly lit and it is difficult to read the explanations, which are incomplete anyway. Also, much of the tour is devoted to stupid games. There seems to be a desire for inclusion but it is awkward. Clearly not prepared by professionals! Very expensive for what it's worth.

Super fun to come with friends or S/O. First half of museum is more educational and second half is very interactive and up beat

i'm a 54-year-old black female . I was visiting the New York area and looked forward to visiting the museum of sex on Friday March 1. There are several stairs to each level in the museum. I needed an elevator because I had hurt my knee and back. I could not ride to the elevator alone. One of the staff members...I would describe her as a light skin African-American about 30 years old with curly hair was visibly upset that I had asked for the elevator. I saw her Looking at me so mean when the lady at the entrance told her I needed the elevator. She accompanied me on the elevator as I went and she was rude, nice -nasty and disrespectful. She made sarcastic remarks about my physical limitations and age. She me we serve a " younger demographic". As if 50 years aren't interested in sex!? The museum itself is well put together but unfortunately for me I couldn't relax and enjoy it because of her negative energy and attitude.

We decided to pay a visit for our anniversary, on reccomendation from a friend, and wow what a great time we had! The displays and art were interesting, and all the activities were really engaging and fun. All the staff members were really kind and made the experience enjoyable.

This is a really fun and approachable museum. The first half is very standard museum and the second is a fun carnival! Yes it is 18+ but it isn’t too scandalous and the gift shop is great with super helpful staff.

I was expecting a lot more from the museum of sex. The entrance floor was just sexual toys you could buy online anywhere you wanted. You walked up two floors and there were various types of sex toys , The next floor was closed, the third floor was all about psychedelics and how they influence sex. That was about it. I was expecting a lot more like what is the culture of sex and say Japan or Russia or United States. Or what happened in the Renaissance era what happened in the Roman era, eg some history with details about how sexual adventures between couples and others happen in different cultures. It was none of that. The fourth floor was again not very much of anything it did have a bar that you had to pay for and a slide that you had to pay extra for to go down. I paid $78 for two people it was nowhere near worth it. I wasn't expecting lots of pornographic kind of videos or pictures you can get down on the web if you want but I was expecting to learn a lot more than I did would not recommend it to anyone

The museum of sex was such an interesting place to go to. There were a lot of exhibits and I enjoyed reading about the history of sex. I love how we were able to get “married”.

Save your money. We go to a lot of museums around the world. We paid for the $50 ticket. The free gift was a butt stress ball and the gummies aren’t good. Definitely not worth $50 and I promise it isn’t what you think. It lacked content, things were censored. It is a museum of sex I can go to the library and see stuff less censored. Again don’t wast your money.

This was such a great thing to show him for the first time and an amazing new experience for me. I’ve seen a lot in the city, but this was unlike things I’ve seen, and the interactive portion Was so fun I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for something new to experience with a new boyfriend or even a husband of 50 years.

The experience was amazing for the first time in the Miami Sex Museum. I went to the New York museum when I was about 15 almost 20 years ago. It was better than expected. I liked the carnival section of it and the slides. I highly recommend it. I also liked the merchandise at the gift shop.

I loved the museum, i wish you didn’t have to pay for some of the attractions at the end, i feel it should be included in the museum price. As well as I had a cream outfit on with brand new silver shoes and when i went down the slide pink pant from the slide got alllllllll over my outfit and ruined my new shoes unfortunately.

Not worth the price of admission. I had a few hours to kill so decided to check it out. Most of the ‘museum’ is carnival games and kitschy decor. You get one free play per person. There is one small gallery dedicated to history and culture, and one floor was dedicated to Andy Warhol, which was interesting. Unfortunately, that is only a small part of the experience. You begin and end in a sex toy shop. With fees, I paid over $50 to get in.

We had a blast! The historical stuff was ok but not ground-breaking (lots of emphasis on cults), but the superfunland was hilarious. We played all the games, got "married", and went down the slide. Go with an open mind and a great sense of humor, and you'll love it. Gift shop is impressive too!

The exhibits were interesting, but my favorite part was Superfunland. We loved the interactive experiences! My advice would be to get there earlier in the evening so you have time to play all the games and get a drink at the bar. We got there at 9:30, got to the games at 10:30, but some of them closed at 11 and last call at the bar was 11:15. We didn’t have enough time to do everything, so we hope to come back!
If the Erotic Waffle truck is out front, don’t skip it! They are delicious!

Super fun! Went opening night with friends and has a blast. All the exhibits are worth viewing in full detail! I would go again to see everything in better detail. Regular admission is $29 so I hope they rotate some of the art exhibits.

The museum itself was great! You walk into a sex shop so you're immediately like BAM! Dicks! It's like ripping off a bandaid. My husband is a little more squeamish than I am so he was in a hurry to buy tickets.
Speaking of, expect to pay $12 more per ticket in fees and service charge. There's no way around it so you might as well buy them online. Add the gummies for $8 more if you're into that, they're $15 on site. When you buy the tickets, click the link in the email and sign your voucher. If you buy them all on one phone you have to send them to each person you're with...
Anyway, we headed to the bar while we waited for our time slot. The drinks are reasonably priced, too, anywhere from $10 to $18 and most drinks are 2oz of liquor. I asked for a spicy marg and got Just the Prick (I think it was called) and it was delicious! The bartender was fun and sweet, too.
Everything is esthetically pleasing and photo-worthy. 1st floor is a history of, 2nd floor is a modern art display (I licked it, it's mine), 3rd floor the fun begins with a movie (if you're under 5'4 sit up front) and then starts Superfunland! There are some games which you scan the QR code and get a free turn, or they're $3 for 5. Then, there are things you pay for like the tunnel of love and bull riding but they're only $5 a person. You can win fun prizes like a crown or dick balloon.
We spent about an hour and a half there and it got progressively more fun as we went! I'd go again with the girls. I think one of the best parts was parading through lower Manhattan when we left and marching with my crown and dick balloon. It brought a lot of people joy haha!

We had a fun time! It was interesting seeing and reading about all the sex artifacts etc. The picture show was good and the cool tunnel after was fun! Carnival games part was a good time and gave something fun to do on the trip.

Located in an out of the way location in a converted 4 story apt. bldg. with the first floor selling sex items such as dildos, harnesses, and sexually-imprinted panties...buying a ticket for $40 (!) is as challenging as doing TSA at an airport. Cash only. No credit cards...or, passing the credit card in your mobile phone over their QR..which we don't have for fear of identity theft. The three indifferent clerks were of little help..rather vaunting their skimpy outfits and tattoos. Top three floors only available via steep staircases. No elevator..unless you can snag a staff member to escort you through a rear, grungy service elevator..down one flight, out on the sidewalk, in through an outside service door. Each floor, with nearly zero seating,, shares little in common with its companion items: videos, and pictures..with plaques below in almost illegible, mice type..and almost nothing about NYC sex ( ex.: a California nudist camp)
Only good part was the helpful, friendly young lady who escorted us to the service elevator.

You first walk into a sex toy shop to start and also end your journey, we chose to begin at the bar, which is an adult carnival of fun. There are multiple floors which range from the snuffy museum feel sexual ceramics and paintings, to sexual devices throughout the centuries, to a floor of theater and videos to a carnival experience of adult games and slide. I find the Museum of Sex to be one of the most unusual museums in Manhattan. It had three excellent exhibitions going on. One was the history of Andy Warhol's career in film which is saying a lot since his films were always so weird. Another was on artifacts from the porn industry, which was interesting because of their pieces from different eras and having some of the items from the movie "Deep Throat". The last one was from a exhibition called "Lick It" and it was all X rated items for from the artworld. It was all in fun but it shows how porn has been with us for thousands of years.

Then I walked through 'Funland" which takes you through the lights and sounds of the pleasure palace of the museum, which is a lot of fun. You get to see and experience a lot in the Museum of Sex and it is a fun "X" rated time through a museum.

Amazing museum! Lots of fun and super creative, meaningful art and old artifacts to look at and lots of opportunities to learn about topics that should be more broadly taught and embraced. So many cool interactive activities. You really will leave this museum empowered and ready to take care of yourself! Highly recommend :)

Overall pretty good. The second floor had a bunch of random sex objects with interesting descriptions. The print is small and you kind of have to lean in to read the print, so it doesn’t really allow more than two people to read each display at a time. The artwork collection looks like it was acquired in the last year or two. Really enjoyed the second half of the tour, which included more experiential activities. Overall a fun time. We took our time and we were out in about an hour and a half. For anyone not as thorough on reading all the descriptions in the first part, you can probably plan on an hour.

I love doing date nights a little differently than the usual so this was a perfect spot to venture to. It was fun, funny and great to go with your partner or friends!

The Museum was very exciting, informative and fun. Each activity was prepared and executed very well for the customers. The Funland was the highlight of my experience with all the games. The bar was the icing on the cake. Definitely visiting the bar again. I’m glad it’s opened to the public separately.

We were excited to visit this museum, and even set out the portion of the morning to go there. The first room was promising. Artifacts of sexual paraphernalia and other things. The highlight was the sex chair of King Edward VII. However, the rest of the items were all too similar or too modern, in my opinion, to be excited about. Also, at 5'0", several view holes were well above my head, so I couldn't even see the items. The ONLY best thing about this museum was the Carole Feurerman exhibit- if the museum was made up of exhibits like this by other erotic artists, it would have earned the title of MUSEUM.

Then there was suppose to be a video about the circus of sex but it was broken so you just end up in the sex circus with no history and just room after room of novelty/ circus games. Pretty lame and sad. I read the description of this place, but thought the circus part was just a bonus, not the main thing of this so called MUSEUM. It's not a museum it's just a playhouse that charges you too much. We have been to other sex museums in the country, and we were expecting the same caliber as those, but this one was just a dud. Wasted money and morning. Go check out The Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago or the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas- these are two great examples of good museums, even despite its subject matter.

Absolute garbage, if you have a New York pass nothing is included and the games are $3 for 5 credits. Nowhere do they tell you this. The exhibits are not worth going through really unless you like seeing old magazines and DIY style sub par exhibits. Got through the full thing in 30 mins and had to sit and watch a terrible animated film before going to “superfun” land where they just try to take cash from people buying credits for terrible games.

If you're expecting a raunchy and risque museum this is not it. Yes, it is graphic and open but tastefully done and very informative. The museum has galleries that show videos and pictures on all aspects sexual including identity.

There are fun games to play but if you are a pass holder (Go City), then you will have to pay for it additionally. There is a bouncy castle of human breasts. All in all a fun musuem.

Good time but some of the qr codes are hard to scan. Museum was fun and informative. I know you can't promote this but I think you should go to the museum on some stuff(not booze)

All the games were awesome and the drinks were soooo good. We need more of these across the country. Would be awesome for a Bachelorette party

We had such a great time. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Amazing games and exhibits. We will definitely bring a few friends next time!

Great experience at the museum! I have accessibility issues and the museum staff was amazingly helpful, letting us use the elevator and waiting for us at each floor. We are very grateful. The exhibits were interesting and the games were fun. Especially recommend the Tunnel of Love ride! And again, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you and I'd definitely visit again!

It’s definitely a must do for anyone visiting New York! We even had an impromptu wedding! We went on a Monday so it wasn’t too busy! Be prepared to walk up some stairs! It’s 4 stories high!

Best date EVER! Anthony Gonzalez was awesome! You definitely have to be comfortable infront of the person you are going with, but if you are, GO! I would have payed double if I had to!
