We loved that you could just wander down the path to Clifton Hill for all the fun, or duck into the gardens and walkways for a quiet break. It’s so relaxing, but there’s always something fun nearby. We love visiting every time we get the chance. Can't wait to be back again soon!"

The Falls are beautiful and are near most of the hotels. Canada is just across a walking bridge. Casino is a quiet casino than most casinos. In walking distance from the hotels.

Fantastic falls which at the moment have a very good flow of water. In the evenings the falls are lit up with varying colours and at 10 pm there are fireworks

Always worth a visit. We only did the US side this time. Don’t bother going into the state park only to find that there isn’t any parking available! Traffic was a mess and we wasted at least 44 min. Just drive straight into town and look for a parking spot. It’s a short walk from almost anywhere in town. We parked at the Casino and walked about 10 min from there. The falls are absolutely stunning!

You don't have to enter the US to see the great Niagara Falls! You can look at that wonderfully from the Canadian side!

My husband and I love to take hikes to look for waterfalls. Of course, this doesn't even compare to the small ones we find in the woods! There are no words to describe the majesty of the falls.

Wonderful Day! Great Tour! Loved it! Tour guides were wonderful! Loved the boat ride, Maid of the Mist!

The Falls each have a unique history and are so beautiful. I must say that the State Park surrounding the falls is the best I have ever visited. Excellent.

Amazing site to see. One of the 7 Wonders of the World - worth the time and cost to enjoy. We were amazed at the powerful impression this place leaves in one's mind. The boat ride was fun - prepare to get wet but it's part of a great experience. See Goat Island and other sites there. NOTHING will disappoint you at all.

We have heard for years that one should only visit the Canadian side! We did not want to deal with hassle of trying to go to Canada, but still wanted to see the Falls. So, we settled for the US side! One of the best decisions we have ever made! There are so many Falls to see, from many different areas and you are so close to the water! As another reviewer said, GO!

It was great to see the falls from the boat. Took really incredible pictures. Beautiful park, great for family vacations.

Niagara Falls itself it an amazing thing to see. What’s sad is the fact one of Gods greatest natural views is all but destroyed by commercial crap. Be prepared to spend $20+ for a cheeseburger and fries. Be prepared for the $350 night rooms at hotels that you truly wouldn’t stay in anywhere in the country. Do not go out of the tourist area because you will only see abandoned buildings and homes that need torn down. This town looks like nothing has been invested in in the last 50 years. They take in money at every angle and leave you with dilapidated infrastructure, streets, buildings. It so sad because with the month that is being brought in, it should be pristine.

Unmissable to see them day and night.
The light show at night is stunning. You can do it directly in your car to the park parking lot and walk the walkways.

The Falls are beautiful and we always enjoy them. This was the first time we took our children (3 and 5) and they were probably too young- one was afraid of them and the other was mad we wouldn't let him go swimming in them.

My family and I visited years ago when our children were little. We had a quick trip and couldn’t stop and take our time to take tours and really take it all in but it was worth the visit. It is impressive and you should visit both during the day and at night.

Took the Mist we had booked a tour through Guided Tour App Niagara, USA: Maid of the Mist and Adventure Walking Tour and we had Peter as a tour guide he was amazing!

Get some
Extra shoes because you get wet. If you are traveling . It takes time
To dry them and you don’t want to be sick.. boat tour is great and spend 3 hours at least.

Niagara Falls is absolutely stunning! The sheer power and beauty of the falls are mesmerizing. Took the Maid of the Mist tour—got soaked but totally worth it. A must-see if you're in the area!

The falls were great to view but the visitor center is closed until July and we could not go in the caves as they were closed also. Parking was an issue as the main lot was full and we had to park elsewhere. When we went to Goat Island we had to pay again which we would not have to if the parking lot wasn't full. I would recommend going straight to Goat Island

This offered excellent views of both sides of the falls and was very nature-like at the top of the falls with wooded trails and plenty of things to do. Why haven't I visited here earlier? Why deal with the hassle of going into Canada. This was wonderful!

Only seen in films, I was curious to see them live.
I took the opportunity accompanied by a friend who lives in Buffalo.
They are truly incredible to see, especially because they are very large.
However, I imagined them to be "bigger", meaning I thought they were much taller and "colossal".
I recommend seeing them from the boat that takes you almost to the bottom, it seems like you're in the middle of a storm, it's "raining" and the noise is very loud.
All around, especially on the Canadian side, there are a lot of buildings which in my opinion ruin the view.
While the beautiful American part is the adjacent town which is less noticeable.
All around there are panoramic "paths" and splendid parks for relaxing and walking.

Gray Line of Niagara Falls/Buffalo
I highly recommend taking this tour if you’re not familiar with te area. Our tour guide Deb was awesome!

What a beautiful experience--saw the falls at night and had tons of color--beautiful lights and could see the spray of water--saw it during the day too!!~

We took a last minute visit to Niagara Falls with our daughters and 6 grandchildren. They enjoyed the falls and enjoyed the fireworks in the evening.

I have been here a few times and still in awe of nature's wonder. My kids had a great time waving to the boat riders from both the US side and the Canadian side. We did the same when we took the boat tour. A great trip!

I used to be a regular visitor to Niagara Falls, but now I find it’s overpriced and poor value. $75/night parking at the Hilton, $135 for a basic hamburger/fish and chip dinner for 2, high antes at the casino, etc. I’ll take my travel dollars elsewhere thank-you.

incredible- we did the ‘maid of the mist’ boat tour and it was absolutely beautiful. being underneath the waterfall and looking up was utopian. absolutely worth the $25. the area around the falls was really tidy and scenic too. a lovely day out.

Amazing place. Beautiful scenery and natural beauty. Lots of greenery around the place with maple trees and cherry blossoms.

We came here for a four day stay in August 2021. Due to COVID there is little access to the Canadian side. The state park on the US side is quite pleasant. However, we’ve been alarmed by the complete disregard of park employees for COVID mitigation protocols. Very few employees - and even fewer visitors - are masked. We unwittingly paid for the “cave of the winds tour,” thinking we could keep a safe distance from others only to be ushered into a crowded display room and then a closed theater for a ten minute film. When we asked to wait outside the theater, we were told by an employee that we had “to be processed” (her exact words). When we tried to insist due to COVID concerns, we were told we would have to leave. We gave in and did our best to keep our masks on and maintain distance. Later, as we left the platforms under the falls, a teenage boy walked behind us hawking and spitting liberally on the pavement. I am appalled at the staff’s complete disregard for legitimate health concerns voiced by patrons and crowd management that places people at risk of infection. Isn’t a state institution supposed to at least nominally follow public health guidelines?

We did this visit a few years ago. It was a thing that basically once you see it thats it, it's just an over hyped water fall. Over priced tourist area of just unexciting things really. We did enjoy one of the wax museums at the end of the strip though if that helps make it any better.

We went there in a chilly morning. The view of the falls is magnificent. Nature at it best. The strength of the stream just before the falls incredible. Eorth getting there

The Niagara Falls Park on the American side is just beautiful. You are able to get quite close to the Falls, with beautiful walkways and lots of spots for picture taking.

Best way to feel the falls on the New York side. Can't get the best view of them but the sound and power is very visible. Great sunsets too

Take the boat and see the Falls. It is an experience that you have note experience nor will you soon forget it. Lots of great photo ops. Ponchos provided on the boat. The boat drives into the center of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It was super!

just a recent addition amazed me. This well kept, active frog pond. Clean in its own way. Life cycle frog pond. With tadpoles and mature frogs making that deep throaty call.

The view was amazing. Going into the falls was just beautiful. The water was a little chilly, but worth getting wet. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely trip! Gorgeous views. We booked a tour to go up to the falls and it was very misty. Definitely glad we invested in raincoats otherwise we would be soaking!

A beautiful place to visit! So majestic that I could not believe my eyes! We went at the end of the busy season so it was easier to enjoy without crowds.

The Falls themselves are a great sight in flow. They are best seen from the terraces on Niagara Parkway. From the cruise ships, the mist at the Horseshoe Falls inhibits the view.
It is best to ignore the town itself. Clifton Hill is just Blackpool on steroids.

The falls are gorgeous for any angle but Maid of the Mist is a must. The adventure at Goat Island, with movie, is a great place to start.

NIAGARA FALLS with a SHADOW of BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW
Niagara Falls at United State of America - so much beautiful waterfalls ..consist of three magnificent waterfalls..beautiful colorful rainbow . Very attractive. Entire of United State sufficiently nice bonding with a family or friends its Amazing...

Great day trip. Spent ny time walking around the park, taking pictures of the falls, and checking out the various attractions. Gorgeous landscape.

There are actually three Falls at Niagara but either way this is an experience never to forget. From any vantage point you cannot help to be amazed at this natural wonder. Go behind the falls, view from the top or even better take a boat trip along the falls.
We took a trip from Toronto and actually wished we had stayed overnight.

Niagara Falls are beautiful. Definitely take in both the American and Canadian sides if possible. Both sides are gorgeous.

Do not waste your time. My husband and I drove 6 hours to see the falls, the falls were beautiful, what you would expect. The park was decent. We planned to stay there a few days but decided to turn right around and find somewhere, anywhere else to stay.
The problem is niagra falls NY. As soon as we started driving through the city I was thinking is this the right area? We pulled in the visitor center I immediately was anxious because it is so dilapidated, grimy and hood. This is one of America’s gems?? So sad. It was awful that the nicest thing in town was the Hard Rock Cafe and the Hyatt hotel, although I would not have slept well in the Hyatt knowing my car was likely to be broken into. Such a let down, expectations got the best of us this time. The shops looked like flea market shops. Watch some videos of the falls if you want to see them, or go to Canada. Steer clear of Niagra Falls NY. You’ve been warned

BEST THING EVER!!!!! We went on a tour with Dan from Bedoure Tours, and had an absolutely amazing time. Perfect view, fireworks were perfect, and the lights at night are the best. Please go, worth the trip, and to go at night :)

As a first time visitor, I was mesmerized by all that water and such beauty. The rapids, the falls, the part were all wonderful. However, the crowds were insane.

My wife, and I were there for the first time, we might go again next year. She was very happy with the Falls

Seeing Niagara is a bucket list item for sure. Even if you just pop by to take a few photos - from either side - and do none of the tourist attractions or extra ways to view the falls. Its absolutely worth it.
And yes, the surrounding cities on both sides are total tourist attractions - but honestly that's half the fun.

My husband and I were on a road trip which took us nearby Niagara Falls and we had never visited so decided to stop by and spend some time. It was around 3:15 on a Tuesday afternoon in July. Parking lots were full but we found street parking very near the visitor center (this area is also under construction and a bit of a mess). We paid $5/hour and decided to go with 2 hours. We started with the observation deck ($1.25/person) near the visitor center. The views were very good and it was not crowded at all when we visited. From there we walked across the bridge to Goat Island and the observation areas for Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, Horseshoe Falls. This area was a bit more crowded but still not that bad and you could get to the rail to have unobstructed views. Views from all areas were amazing and we got plenty of great photos. We spent exactly 2 hours and got a good overview from the US side without rushing ourselves so it can be done. And we stopped for Perry’s hard ice cream before leaving Goat Island. :)

Took the Maid of the Mist boat ride. Up close and personal with the falls!! Highly recommend it. Also, see the falls at night. Spectacular!

Great experience to visit nigra during Canada visit. You feel relaxed to see falls. Great as beauty of canada.
Highly recommended.!!!

One of the best view of my life. Been there for the second time and this place is truly magical. Had a great time with my fiance. A great sight to see!!

A true wonder. We could stand there all day and watch. We walked up and down that path to admire both falls a couple of times. Nice views, great mist as you get closer. Don't miss the lights at night and the Fireworks at 10:00 PM. Clifton hills is at the bottom of the path and the gardens and walkway is so relaxing and fun. We love it every time we come. Will be back again in a few years

Beautiful during the day and with colored lights at night. We went off Maid of the Mist boat tour and it was amazing. You can really feel the power of the water falling.

With this visit, I have now seen the Falls from the Canadian and American sides and both are breathtakingly beautiful. I appreciated the well maintained park and many areas from which to view the Falls. Had dinner overlooking the Falls at night and was dazzled by the light show. Will visit again and again.

Goood place ever
I visited here with my boyfreind
It was my best of best experience
Love youguys....
so amazing view!!!!

Worth a visit, but this is one of the smaller falls in the world, nothing compared to Iguazu or Victoria, but nonetheless worth a visit

Wow! The falls are amazing with plenty of vantage points. Parking was our biggest issue as well as finding a place to eat near the falls. It was crowded so plan plenty of time.

If this isn't on your to do list, it should be!
The maid of the mist ride made our trip outstanding!
My daughter couldn't have laughed or smiled any harder

Awesome to see from both the American side and the Canadian side. Do the walking tour behind the falls, ponchos provided with your tickets. The park opens early so you can walk around with fewer crowds than later in the morning. Parking ticket is good for the day, so you can change lots and not have to pay again. Free parking after 8:30, so you can see the falls at night and experience the fireworks show during the summer.

Awesome it was very exciting and beautiful!! Many things to see and at all times something different to do highly recommended you need to do the helicopter ride! Rainbowairinc!! I pick the tour package experience the mist and the cave of winds and also visit the whirlpool and island of goat and the rapids!

i would do it again larry legends was a great guide the bus was on time answer all we asked about Larry knew alot

Pictures do not justice. You must go to really experience the glory. The sound of the Falls and the crisp clean air. To look out from the observation tower at the Falls was incredible

It's an sight to see. I've been here several times and it never gets old. It is so beautiful there. You can see over to Canada.

This was my first visit and it has left an impression on me! It was awesome! Including the nightly fireworks and the changing of the colors in the falls at night. Powerful and we will return!

Niagara Falls was breathtaking and beautiful the place was amazing. plenty of things to do at the park .
Lots of food places car parking available . the welcome centre was very good we were here for 3 days so we went a few time once in the morning and once in the evening to see the lights show witch was fantastic make sure you don’t miss this all .the staff around the park were very helpful

Powerful and Beautiful. Well worth a weekend trip! From the upper rapids to the falls it gives an appreciation for the power of nature.

Over my 35+ y of travel, I've visited almost all significant waterfalls worldwide except the Angel falls in Venezuela.
I rank Niagara (whole of it, US + Canada side) on 3rd place, after Iguazu in Brazil/Argentina and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe/Zambia.
Speaking of Niagara, the Canadian side (Horseshoe Falls) is much more impressive and has better viewpoints and tours (behind the Falls walk).
However, the American side is also a great place to visit with great places such the Goat island, as well the Maid of the Mist tour.

Did the Maid of the Mist boat ride. Stayed to see falls lit up and fireworks. Was a great day. Was nice day.

After 10AM, the entire falls area smells like weed, and gets worse at night. It is super gross, i had two young daughters with me and they literally had weed blown in their face multiple times. Super gross. We didnt bother going to see the lights at night beause i knew it would be just a huge weed party down there. Do not recommend at all if you have a family or young kids. Would not return until they made changes regarding drug use in the tourist areas.

Great one day trip doing Niagara Falls US side including Cave of the Winds Maid of the Mist Boat ride, lookouts (Prospect Point, Luna Island, Terrapin Point), and strolling through Niagara Park. Recommend say trolley pass which allows off and on at any of the stops all day for only $3 a person for the full day. Will get very wet at both the boat ride and Cave of the Winds. Initially walked from Rainbow Bridge all the way to Terrapin Point as not all that long a distance but then took trolley to ride the whole loop. Started at Cave of the Winds as couldn’t but those tickets in advance.

Beautiful weather! Beautiful Falls! Love the squirrels, chipmunk, geese and sea gulls. Beautiful trees, flowers, etc. Great time to come. Everything is still open and it’s not over-crowded.

One of the world wonders for a reason. All the falls are spectacular. The noise is almost deafening. Your senses are in overdrive! Everywhere is beautiful. If you are anywhere near you must come and see Niagara Falls for yourself.

Between Niagara Falls and Horseshoe Falls, the second is much bigger and more impressive (both from afar, and when taking the boat ride). But Niagara Falls is still beautiful and worth a visit. You can see the falls close by using the "maid of the mist" boat ride, which also give you access to a walk way that brings you to the edge of the falls; or via the cave of winds (goat island) that brings you into the Falls on the other side.

I visited Niagara Falls, New York twice in April 2022. I stopped here on the way to Toronto and on the way home from Toronto. I walked to the viewing area near the observation platform which was full of people and got near American Falls and Bridal Falls. In the distance was Horseshoe Falls. The river was frozen and the views of the falls and the Canadian side were great. After 8 pm, the falls were illuminated with lights and colors and it looked spectacular. I also walked over the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side. I had a great experience here and took many photos and videos.

I hadn’t visited the Falls since I was a child, and I had forgotten just how beautiful and mesmerizing they were. We spent time at the Whirlpool State Park - I highly recommend it. The water is a stunning blue, reminiscent of the Caribbean. Free parking and awesome hiking trails. I also recommend doing at least one of the typical tourist activities, such as Maid of the Mist or Cave of the Wind. We chose Maid of the Mist. With either one you will get wet, but to my surprise the souvenir rain poncho kept my clothes dry. After the boat ride we climbed the steps to the Crow’s Nest for a beautiful view of the American Falls and great photo ops.
We stayed at the Double Tree on the Canadian side. We paid more for a room with a view, but it was worth it to see the Falls illuminated at night, and it was perfect for watching the nightly fireworks display. The room was clean, the restaurant was good with excellent service, and the Starbucks in the hotel lobby was an plus. The hotel was within walking distance of the Horseshoe Falls visitor center and lookout point. We thoroughly enjoyed just watching the amazing falls and enjoying the beautiful morning.
I recommend visiting on a week day if you can. Hotel rooms are less expensive and lines are significantly shorter. As it is only a 3 1/2 hour drive, we will definitely be returning and hope to try some different activities.

Total disappointment for such an acclaimed place, a country devoid of everything, just a few places to eat, a Starbucks, two miserable little shops selling souvenirs mostly produced in China at stratospheric prices, 5/6 hotels, a casino then nothing, the total emptiness.
Things aren't any better on the Canadian side, where they've turned some roads into a sort of playground with the intention of keeping visitors there for as long as possible, because in 2 hours you've seen and seen the waterfalls 100 times. In short, total disappointment.

The beautiful scenery is worth seeing, the impact of the waterfall is very spectacular, and the water droplets will splash. It is recommended to bring a raincoat.

I have always wanted to see Niagara Falls. I was amazed with the falls and scenery! This is a must go trip. You will not be sorry to see natures wonders. Recommend going in the fall season to see trees turn colors.

The park is beautiful! I had previously viewed the Falls from the Canadian side. The New York side is the place to enjoy the Falls. All of them!

What a breathtaking location this is, no words will be required that haven't been said before. This is a must see location in the world and it doesn't disappoint at anytime. Seems pointless to review all places here individually as this is somewhere you need to enjoy all the facilities here. Will add trolley ride is a little pointless as easily walkable. Utilise every moment you are here. Take the maid of the mist tour, utilise every viewpoint available.

Don't go on tour. I can’t believe that from all the opinions nobody said that the tour is not worth the price, because it does not include transfer and when finally you specify the transfer with the same agency (which charges you 85 dollars only one way from the airport to the falls) you are passed to look in a limousine (a ridiculous car for such an experience) with a guy in charge that all he did was buy the ticket in the ticket store, and leave us alone there in the falls so that the boat people would turn us around and then meet again with him (who had the new tickets) to transfer us to the cave of the mist. Truth is, the most inflated price I pay. DO THIS ALONE, DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY TOUR. YOU CAN GET TO THE BOULETRIES AND BUY EVERY TICKET FOR EVERY THING YOU WANT TO KNOW. Seriously the tour is not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, the place is beautiful and worth it.,but don’t spend your money on these “fake tours”

Great one day trip doing Niagara Falls US side including Maid of the Mist Boat ride, TheUS Side of Niagara Falls is beautiful, and also the park is (will visit much beautiful Canadian side too). The park is well kept and clean, and the views are pretty amazing. There are walkways that lead you down to observation areas that get very close to the water. Prepare to get very wet, but you won't be sorry that you got to experience the falls this way. What an amazing experience !

Walking trails around the falls are well laid out and provide great views. Some trails covered in ice but lack of people makes the views easy.

So much to see in so many areas. Use the National Park green trolley so save some steps. A bucket list place.

This is an experience that everyone should have at least once. The roar of the falling water, the spray of the mist and the spectacular views are incredible

The falls are spectacular. Lighted at night and fireworks nightly. The park was clean and user friendly. Don't miss the Maid of the Mist, the kids loved it and it is awesome.

Probably the best waterfalls that I have seen so far. I went in the winter and it made the entire experience more pleasant. No crowd and no wait, so I was able to enjoy the view and took enough time to take pictures. I am looking forward to visiting this place again in the summer, as some attractions are closed in the winter for safety reasons.

Overall the trip was good and memorable for my son and I but I want to give my feedback in case it could help someone else prepare if they are visiting around this timeframe. I’ll start off by saying that I wasn’t expecting a full fledged tourist attraction since we were going late April and the weather around here is very unpredictable. However, we were very disappointed by some aspects of the trip which were primarily dining and things to do.
First, dining: We are by no means sophisticated eaters. My 10 year old lives on chicken fingers and pizza. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe our first night. My son has never been and I was looking forward to sharing the experience with him. The overall atmosphere is a bit tired and dated. The memorabilia on the walls is really cool, but the restaurant desperately needs a face lift. The food was very disappointing. My burger was burnt, I am not a great cook but I make better burgers at home. My son got a hot dog and he was pleased with that except that they had split the bun so the hotdog kept falling out. It cost a little under $40 for 2 drinks, a hotdog and cheeseburger. The servers were very friendly and professional. I’d give the overall experience a 4 out of 10 simply due to the memorabilia and the gift shop.
The next day we stopped at F bites for lunch, because there was a banner outside about Hell’s Kitchen and my older son is a fan. Don’t be put off by the appearance of the establishment! I was a bit leery at first but figured we’re on vacation which is the best time to step out of your comfort zone. Let me tell you, I’ve never had a better sandwich in my life. I ordered the open face pulled pork hoagie. Holy cow was this thing messy but sooo worth it! The meat was so tender and flavorful. Whatever sauce or gravy they make I wish I could buy bottled because it was so good. My son got the chicken fingers and fries bowl which he devoured.
This last one falls under both dining and things to do. My son had been looking for an arcade while we were out and about and noticed the Anchor Bar had an arcade sign on the side of the building. Doing my due diligence I looked up the place and saw the Anchor Bar was attached to a 2 story arcade called the Great American arcade. We went to the Anchor Bar for dinner on our last night with intentions of visiting the attached arcade when we were finished eating. The restaurant itself is big and pretty. It’s a sports bar so there’s plenty of tv’s with various sporting events playing. Our server took our order- buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and chicken fingers with fries. We get our food and I dig in. My son is put off because 1) he got 2 chicken tenders when the menu said 3, and 2) they appeared burnt on the outside. He cuts one open and the meat on the inside looks somewhat questionable. He eats his fries and I try my Mac and cheese. I will say it wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t good. There was some sort of after taste that I couldn’t pinpoint but it wasn’t pleasant. We cut open another chicken tender that looked like it had been cooked better than the first so he tried it. He didn’t eat it as it also had a strange after taste. Worst part was we then waited at least another 10-15 minutes just to pay the check so we could go to the arcade. Another server apologized, mentioned our server had a big party on opposite side. As a former server, I always give them the benefit of the doubt and patience. Yet we still waiting another 5 minutes or so after that. Our server finally brings the check and takes our plates. Our full plates. She doesn’t bat an eye or ask how the food was. We finally make our way through the restaurant to the arcade. At which time we pass the “big party” that consists of about 6 people. There were probably about 12 patrons in the entire restaurant including them and us so I didn’t understand the 20+ minute wait for our bill but moving on… We venture to arcade portion only to find out that it is closed for renovation. On their website there is no mention whatsoever of closure. So that was another disappointment.
Things to do: We booked the tour via Maid of the Mist and I highly recommend it. It’s a little pricey but worth it in my opinion. Especially since it’s pretty much the main attraction and adventure there. If you get sea sick take a Dramamine before hand, but my son gets motion sick pretty easily and with half a Dramamine he was fine. They hand out free ponchos, make sure you put it on! I also highly recommend dressing warm if you’re visiting before the hot summer months. Layers would be good, and have an extra pair of socks/shoes in your vehicle if you’re doing any walking, dining afterward as you’ll probably need to change them. You get right up close to the falls and catch quite a bit of ‘’mist”! The boat tour was definitely the highlight of our trip.
Niagara Falls state park- it’s beautiful and the views are amazing, especially in the evening when the falls are lit up. There is a lot of construction going on so it looks like in the future there will be more options of things to do while in the park, right now it’s pretty much just walking and sight seeing.
Niagara wax museum of history- super cool! The cost is low and it’s a great way to spend an hour learning about the history of Niagara Falls. I had initially planned on taking my son to the haunted wax museum a block over, only to find out upon getting there that it hadn’t been open in a long time. Yet again, nothing mentioned on their website. Anyway, it worked out for us because we really enjoyed the wax museum of history. You gain access via the souvenir shop and ask at the counter to purchase tickets for the museum. I believe children under 5 or 7 are free, I can’t remember which, but even so, the price is worth it in my opinion. My 10 year old just happens to be learning about the history of Niagara Falls in school right now so he was so excited to pass on his knowledge to me as we viewed some of those pieces of history.
Aquarium of Niagara- So much fun and educational! The cost of admission is a bit high. I think it cost just under $40 for the 2 of us, but again, options of things to do were very limited so I bought the tickets. I’m glad I did. Before you even enter the aquarium you pass an exhibit of sea lions outside and they are so cool. One was playing with a toy, pulling it beneath the water and letting it go so it would shoot back up into the air. Another was sun bathing on his back, his belly bared to the world, relaxed as can be. Inside there’s a big penguin display, tons of various fish and sea creatures, a sea turtle, Squirt, jelly fish, coral, etc. there’s a stingray and shark exhibit where you can actually pet them. The aquarium also hosts different presentations every 30 minutes. We spent a little over an hour there and we enjoyed it very much.
Parking is pretty pricey. You have to pay for street parking and most places were between 3-5 dollars for 1 hour, which is outrageous. To park at the aquarium it was $5. When visiting the maid of the mist you can opt for street parking and walk a bit or you can pay $10 to park in the state park parking lot which is good for the whole day. I don’t know what time exactly it starts but when we went back to the park during the evening parking was open for everyone free of charge.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn on rainbow blvd. and it was my saving grace for the trip. I paid less than $150 per night and we got a free breakfast each morning. A full breakfast, not just some cereal and fruit. The breakfast was so good. They had omelets, sausage, boiled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, bagels, breads, scones, waffles, milk, various juices, coffees, and teas. And it was open until 10 each day. There’s also complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby offered all day and night. I mainline coffee so this saved me so much money because I don’t like hotel room coffee so I would have been hitting up dunkin multiple times a day. At some point in the afternoon they set out a tray of cookies in the lobby also and it’s restocked like every hour. There is an indoor pool available to guests which my son made us of each day of our visit. It’s open from 9am-10pm. It was pretty clean and it’s connected to the fitness area. Your hotel room, pool, fitness area have to be accessed with your room key. If you have the Hilton app you can opt to have a digital key. We used this and it was so nice to not worry if I grabbed the room key or lost it. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. On our last day there was one staff member who we hadn’t seen before. She appeared to be aggressive and frustrated toward the other staff but as we didn’t have any direct interaction with her I didn’t learn her name or address it. The beds are clean and super comfy. There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There are snacks and toiletries offered in the lobby also for a cost. For example, after we got back from our dinner at the hard rock, we purchased mini pizzas in the lobby and warmed them in our microwave. If the Hampton Inn were to ever open their own restaurant on site they’d probably make a fortune due to the lack of decent eateries in the area.
Overall we had a really good trip. We drove about 3.5 hours to visit and could have done it the same day, or just staying over one night due to the lack of things to do, but having the pool in the hotel really made up for lack of adventures. It appears right now that there is a focus on the casinos, which is understandable but I’d imagine there is so much lost revenue due to lack of family friendly attractions. Next time we will visit the Canadian side as I’ve read there are more attractions.

Let’s show some love for our very own Niagara Falls, Canada! 🇨🇦 Support local beauty.
And hey—did you know Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippine national hero, already migrated to Canada? Just kidding 😄
But seriously, go find him near 5920 Niagara River Parkway!

First time visiting the Falls. We landed in Niagra international airport and drove to Canada but on the way had to stop to see the American side. Beautiful doesn’t do it justice. Amazing seems lackluster. You can walk down the walkways for free and get a good view. We paid $1.25 per person and went out on the observation deck and got even better pictures and views. You can take the elevator down to the lower section to get closer, we did not bc we didn’t want to possibly get wet. Parking is hit and miss, I think we paid $15. There are lots of shops and restaurants but this was just a stop off. There are a lot of Native American tables selling beautiful jewelry. Restrooms are called washrooms and are all genders so don’t look for just men or women.

So great not having to worry about planning the trip. Concierge was fantastic. Tour with Kelly was so worth the money. Didn't get to get into cave of the winds due to early. But unbeatable

This was my first trip to New York, and I expected many more tourist, but I suppose it may have been early in the season. This was a good thing. Traffic was light and no waiting in lines. On the down side, everything on Third street closed at 6;00 Many buildings were just empty. We actually went hungry the first night because we assumed we could find something open at this world famous tourist attraction. As for the falls, words can not do justice.

Amazing beauty, clean park and helpful people. You can pay to park and actually leave and re-enter the park with the same ticket, on the same day.

Beautiful as always. Even with Memorial Day weekend it was not as busy. Found parking easily. Had a wonderful ride on maid of the mist

Probably most expensive place in Canada and likely in North America.
City fathers are only concerned how to extract most money in shortest possible time . Falls are spectacular but i dont think i will come back anytime soon

I was excited to see the Falls but nothing compared the actual experience. I will definitely go back again.

Niagara Falls is a stunning work of nature. We went on a hot beautiful day. The spray of the water, the breeze on the observation deck, the roar of the rushing falls. Everyone around you staring with the same amazement. The Maid of the Mist was great fun and well worth the admission. After getting off the boat, there is a ladder heading up the side of the smaller falls, and you will get soaked! It's exhilarating. We only had a half afternoon to spend there, but will definitely be going back.

Loved being on the Maid of the Mist! The power of the Falls came alive as we entered the mist - the roar of the water combined with the all-encompassing mist - an experience to never forget!

We went to the American side of the falls. I got some great pictures. Everyone I spoke to afterward said I should have done the Canadian side because the falls are better from that side and the area is nicer. I will leave that for you to decide. A couple of things I would like to mention. There are parking lots within the park that can be used, and the trolley stops at them. We went up by the visitor center and the two lots up there were full and blocked off. The next parking area we saw near there was $25 a day to park behind one of the souvenir shops on the main drag. It was fine and I don't know how much parking in the park was, but I would have rather parked in a park lot. Do your research. We stayed out in Amherst which is a straight drive in and a much nicer area than Niagra Falls or Buffalo. I was really disappointed by how run down the area around the falls is. I wanted to do the helicopter trip, but it was closed Mon-Weds of the 4th of July week. Again, do your research.

We visited Niagara Falls at night, and we were amazed to see that this beautiful Falls was so poorly treated where its lighting and surrounding infrastructure were concerned. The lighting for this very beautiful falls was completely useless and thus prevented us from enjoying its magnificence at night. We were just left to admire this outstanding beauty under poor lighting. We went around midnight and there were a few people with us in this completely desolate and very poorly lit area, although the park/area's closing time was 2am. There were no stands where people could sit and admire its beauty at night. My rating of "excellent" is based only on the magnificence of Niagara Falls and not on its poor treatment!

During the day when the visibility was excellent and so lights were not needed Niagara Falls was breathtakingly beautiful.

Over the years we’ve seen 5 Wonders of the World. Niagara Falls definitely should be one. What an amazing experience to see 675000 gal/sec drop over the falls. If on your bucket list wait if possible till Canada reopens I think the view would be better.

A wonderful experience to see, hear and feel the great power of this unique natural attraction. A memory for life.

So excited to visit finally! I had planned to walk across the Rainbow Bridge to see Horseshoe Falls from Canada but just days before...Canada changed their requirement to a negative COVID test within 72 hours. I walked towards the border and got lots of great shots before heading back into the States. (I did cross the boundary of the countries!)

You have to see both sides: US and Canadian side. The view is stunning! Walked around Goat Island to see the River flow up closer. Don't miss the "Cave of the Winds"
and the boat ride !

We had visited 40 years ago and just went back this August. Very disappointing, long lines, over crowded with rude people. bottle of water four bucks.

We went on a Wednesday. It was easy to find parking. We were able to park for free due to staying at another state park. We walked all around. There are to bridges to connect the island to the main park area. There’s parking on both sides. You can choose to just walk around. All of the other activities are an extra cost. Gets expensive. Walk over to the outside of the park. There’s tons of food trucks.

It’s simply amazing. The falls look great from both sides. Mother Nature is just pure awesomeness!
No free parking anywhere around the falls.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary by driving to Niagara Falls from Florida and enjoyed our drive through our beautiful country.
Long drive but so worth it

My favorite part was Cave of the winds. I also loved how Debbie gave us so much information about restaurants, places to visit, and things to do around. It was so much fun every place we visit.

Made a quick trip to the US side of Nagara Falls as part of trip to that part of New York. Not sure what to expect in November. Overall, the trip was worth it. Parked in the casino parking lot at no cost and walked four blocks to the actual Falls. It was not too crowded at all. Best park from a financial perspective, I guess, was that the observation deck as open and was not cost to enter. Rather good view of all of the falls from there. Overall, I think the Canadian side is better but this worked out. Did not visit them but all restaurants and stores seemed to be open.

Here is the thing, the view from the American Side is blighted by the awful skyline of Canadian-side's hotels. The horizon is ugh. The view from the Canadian side is majestic and pristine - because the US does not have all those horrible hotels. To see the American Side in all its glory - go to Canada. The view of the American falls is still good if you look straight west. Long review to say - great views of a natural wonder.

I was always told that the American side of the falls isn't worth seeing, but in some ways its better than the Canadian side. Its much less touristy and more natural. We the Niagara Falls State Park offers walks along the rapids, access to the falls via the Maid of the Mist and the Crows Nest, access to the base of the falls via the Cave of the Winds, access to the crest of the falls via Goat Island and Luna Island and access to the rapids from the Three Sisters trail. We got so much closer to the falls in NY than we did in ON. Visit both, but don't dismiss the American side.

If Niagara Falls is not on your bucket list...it should be! Breath-takingly beautiful and powerful....just incredible!

One can't imagine without actually being there. It's one of the wonders of the world. Beautiful and breathtaking.

Pictures and video do not do this justice. So amazing to be up close and personal and to hear the roar of the water and see the misty spray. Just spectacular.

I’ve never been disappointed with the awesomeness of Niagara Falls. The staff at Niagara Falls Welcome Center (before entering the State Park) was friendly and helpful.
We drove into the State Park and since we were only going to be there less than an hour that day, we elected to drive to the Three Sisters parking lot.. which has limited free parking and restroom facilities. A shuttle bus is available at the park with hop-on, hop-off for different views in the park.

I don't really understand how people can even mention parking charges on this subject. This landscape is simply stunning. Irreal. With appropriate weather, the most beautiful thing in the world (and I have seen a lot).

Unforgettable experience. A force of nature indescribable in words. The Canadian side is superior to the New York side...but both deserve attention. The only drawback: parking on the NY side at 25 US dollars.... crazy! Ride on the bridge: 25 dollari statunitensi...anche questo una follia! Icing on the cake: a spectacular rainbow on the falls!

Definitely a bucket list kinda place. The falls themselves are breathtaking. Definitely recommend a boat tour out under them and also plenty to see from the observatory and along the rapids and other view points.

We joined the 2 days Niagara Falls trip. Very happy to see the falls. We went to the cave of winds, maid of mist boat ride. So excited.

A calm area, with a breathtaking landscape. Visit in February with negative temperatures. But it was worth every kilometer traveled to visit

Anderson & Jackson super very nice and very helpful the meal was very good the trip passed quickly also picked up and returned to the hotel

We were supposed to visit in 1988 for our honeymoon but had an emergency. Finally got here. We'll worth the wait. Beautiful!

We had a spectacular view from the Canadian side. Thoughts of the power behind this never ending force of nature was simply energizing. It was something in the mist that made me rejuvenated. Maybe that’s the magic of this spot. Three days is all you need but make sure you experience by land by air and by water. Trifecta of visit.

Absolutely thrilling!! The amazing force of water flow and the mist hitting you creates a lifetime memory.

The attractions are nice. We did the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. However, when we were in line for the boat ride, a large group of people started pushing their way through. The women were using their kids as shields; really classy people. They grabbed and pushed me and my husband, so I yelled at them. A fight almost broke out. Zero security and no staff around. It just doesn’t feel safe, and I don’t really want to go back. :(

Too good to visit the place at the right time. Little rain and good weather. Not so hot. Great views from US side but Canada gives you the real views. Be in the park by 9.50PM so that you don’t miss the fireworks and light experience. Visit Cave of the winds and maid of the mist with dry clothes as you will be wet by the splash of falls.

What a wonderful trip. The falls were amazing sight to see.
We we able to see the falls from both US and Canada.
Definitely a trip for those who enjoy nature and especially water falls.

My hometown, what can I say? Beautifully kept grounds showing off rows and rows of breathtaking florals, lots of sprawling green grass for picnics and walks and just a stones throw from the spectacular Niagara Falls. So pretty during all seasons of the year, (even sub zero temperatures in winter)!

So beautiful and awe inspiring! We first went on Labor day weekend, and even though there were a lot of people, there was plenty of space to view the amazing views.

Everyone should experience the natural wonder of Niagara Falls in the day time and at night. Simply breath taking!!

Loved the beauty of the falls and we walked the entire park, rode the Maiden etc. We were not aware that the park visitor center was under construction. Big disappointment as we love the movies and information about the history of locations we visit. We drove from Illinois so “come back next year” is silly! But well worth the trip to see (I had seen 47 years ago).

While the U.S. side of the Niagara falls and parking area themselves felt safe and is beautiful, getting there is another story. The U.S. town of Niagara Falls is a dirty, rundown pit. I would never want to drive thru the area at night. Graffiti and boarded up buildings with over grown grass abound. If you want to see Niagara Falls and are simply going for the Falls and nothing else, go on the U.S. side. If you want the entire shopping and dining experience along with the beauty of the falls, unfortunately I recommend the Canada side. It's beautiful, clean and appealing.

I had always wanted to visit Niagara Falls, and when at last a visit to upstate New York got planned, it was at the top of the list. We chose to remain on the American side of the Falls, as the river marks the dividing line between the U.S. and Canada. We stopped to see the Niagara River making its way along, as well as the Robert Moses Niagara Hydroelectric Power Station.
When we arrived in the town, we stayed at the Red Coach Inn, for the pleasure of being right next to the Niagara River. (A separate review for the inn is on Tripadvisor.) Since we arrived in the evening, as soon as we were settled in, we walked across the street and along the walkway to the Falls. At night, huge multi-colored lights illuminate the falling water in tinges of red, blue and green, which only emphasize the rush of the river and the height of the spray, filling the air when the water goes over. The high-rise skyline of Niagara Falls Ontario was brightly lit beyond the Falls.
I had read up about how the Niagara River is formed and about Niagara Falls, since it was a focal point for our trip. Four of the Great Lakes feed the Niagara River, which flow from separate basins, to form a single, natural chain of lakes and rivers. From the interior, the Niagara River flows from Superior to Huron, to Michigan, and southward to Erie. These four lakes are composed of one fifth of all the fresh water in the world. They drain a very wide watershed with voluminous rivers that contain approximately 35,000 islands. They combine and race to become the Niagara Falls, which flow into Lake Ontario; and from there, the water flows as the St. Lawrence River, which eventually reaches the Atlantic Ocean.
The five Great Lakes have long been called inland seas and their surface area combined, is roughly equal to the size of the U.K. They are the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth, containing 21% of the world's surface fresh water by volume. Lake Superior is the second-largest freshwater lake in the world, and lake Huron is the fourth. Lake Victoria, shared by Uganda and Tanzania in Africa is number three, and the Caspian Sea in Russia is number one. The one lake that is within just one county is Lake Michigan.
Then there is Niagara Falls. It is not just any waterfall, pouring spring rains down into a gully. It is more than an inundation of creeks and streams. It is an elemental outpouring of such rapid force that the very air has hardly time to get out of the way. The Falls are composed of three wide cliffs: American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Canada’s Horseshoe Falls. They each drop seventy feet to the ancient hard rock of dolostone and shale. American Falls and Bridal Falls are separated by small Luna Island. The waters rapid rush, pushing toward the drop is unexpected. The force at which they fall is over-powering, and the sheer amount of water is almost unfathomable. Combined, the two drop 150,000 gallons of water every second, but Horseshoe Falls drops 600,000 gallons every second. The three Niagara Falls are not just cascades of water. And I’m not talking about just any river that meets any ocean. This is the LARGEST amount of rushing and gushing water that falls on the earth.
I stood at the railing next to the river across from our hotel, staring at the water’s movement. It was an overcast morning so the water looked like gray-green slate. The sight was captivating. The water moved so quickly that it rushed by in flooding torrents. Churning in its frothy whiteness it would hit a rock, fly up and then tumble hard onto another rushing swell. Then I walked to the falls and again became completely absorbed by its power. The sound was so thunderous, reverberating across the canyon, that I was hypnotized. The surging forces kept pouring over themselves, each shower a monsoon, each outpouring downpour an explosion. It was a series of colossal cataracts plunging furiously in a deluge of dominance and dominion. It was more than a driving, drenching rain. The whitewater spray was a violent flow that collided into cloudbursts, and formed its own atmosphere. Like a pot of boiling water when steam rises, misty clouds formed above the spray, and then surprisingly, gently floated off into the sky. How something so violent could turn into something so placid so quickly was astonishing.
We had planned that morning to go on the Maiden in the Mist boat trip to get closer to the Falls at its base, but the day turned cold, rainy and windy. We decided that what we had seen was powerful enough. Later that evening, the rain subsided, so we walked back to the Falls to watch the nightly fireworks at 10:00 p.m. We dressed warmly against the wind and stood once more against the railing to see the fiery colors explode in the sky. Though the presentation was well done and it helped to celebrate our visit, it was only a distraction from the immensity and profound power of the Falls below, presenting their own show.

Whenever I told people we were going to Niagara on our vacation, I always hear "The Canadian side is so much nicer." Well, I can't imagine how that could be possible because the American side is breathtakingly beautiful. The park is well maintained. The attractions are well run. Yes, there are some touristy types of shops but you have them everywhere. Be sure to go at night (about an hour after dark) for the light show. Its worth the late night.

The Tour led by Vic he was so awesome. He was very funny as well. I wouldn't ask for a better Guide.

The New York Side of Niagara Falls is beautiful, and the park is very pretty. There are walkways that lead you down to observation areas that get very close to the water. The park is well kept and clean, and the views are pretty amazing. If you want to see the falls up close and personal, you have to do a tour that includes the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds. Prepare to get very wet, but you won't be sorry that you got to experience the falls this way. Both are truly amazing to see!!!
We actually visited the Canadian side of the falls on our first day in town. Do Not Miss seeing the Canadian side - remember your passports!!! The Canadian side of the falls was absolutely beautiful!!! Their park and visitor center is right on the Horseshoe Falls. It's mesmerizing to see this up close. There were rainbows over the falls when we visited because it was a sunny day. The park is so beautiful and the landscaping and plantings are lovely. We visited after Labor Day, so I'm sure it was a little less crowded than full blown tourist season. We ate lunch at Table Rock in the visitor center. The food is a little expensive, which is to be expected, but the food was also well worth it - it was delicious. The restaurant overlooks the Horseshoe Falls, so you have a spectacular view while you're dining.

Breathtaking!!! Be sure to do the Maid in the Midst tour! It was fantastic!! You'll get plenty wet (especially your feet), but it's totally worth it!! Be sure and go back at night, too...just get there early if you want to get close to the falls for the lights. The fireworks are visible even with the crowd.

Visiting Niagra Falls is worth the effort, even if only an hour or two can be spared. The sheer mass of water going over the American Falls and larger Canadian Falls is a sight to see.
Sure, the area is very touristy (especially on the Canadian side), and can get very crowded with visitors, but that need not interfere with one's enjoyment of the sheer spectacle of the waterfalls. We were short on time, so we stayed on the American side and arrived at the Goat Island parking lot as soon as it opened, and we were able to see both of the Canadian and the American Falls very well from, respectively, the west end and the north end of the island. There's a footbridge from Goat Island to Luna Island for a very up-close look at the American Falls. Also fun to watch the Canadian Geese who hang out on Goat Island and the mass of seagulls that wheel about above the river just before it pours over the top of the American Falls.
There's lots of other activities in the vicintity too, of course, but we were content to just let nature put on the show.

Such awesome beauty. A must see experience. The Falls all it up at night is also a sight to behold. Loved it.

We went to Niagara Falls as part of a tour in Upstate New York. It was the largest waterfall I'd ever seen, and it was amazing. We did the Maid of the Mist and went to some of the viewpoints on the American side. We weren't able to stay long enough to see it at night. I would definitely go there again.

Prepare everyone in your crew to have full rain boots and raincoats for the trip! Even if you skip the boat, walking up towards the falls will leave you soaked. Get there right as they open to get easy parking without long lines. Tickets are for the day of only so you cannot purchase the next day when you walk up. Very kind staff, so much fun to explore.

You will be glad you visited this global wonder. Plenty to see, plenty to do, also, Brian's Ice Cream Truck is amazing

Seeing the Falls was the reason for our trip to New York and they did not disappoint. This experience was even more than we could have imagined. The park, itself, is beautiful and well-maintained

It's worth seeing once in a lifetime. Doubt I would need to return. Amazing views on the Canada side. Arriving in afternoon, parking away from the falls and taking the shuttle is probably the best - remember to pay for parking at the green pay booths in the parking lots. Canada side Niagara City Cruise was worth it, and we got in the very front of the boat. With the ponchos, didn't get soaked - just a little wet.

nice and relaxing stoning view of G-d's wonder, nature is a real beauty, just enjoy what nature offers,.

My service dog and I visited the falls and found them to be awesome. I was happy I visited the falls. Since I have a bad hip I could not walk long distances so we parked close and took pictures of the falls and surrounding area.

Worth the trip to see the beautiful falls. The view may be better from Canada, but the view from our side is pretty amazing as well!

Beyond beautiful and breathtaking! The Observation Tower offers the most amazing views and it's best place to see the Illumination & Fireworks.

They are beautiful to visit, they are not very high or very big falls but worth it. Only it should be noted that if you go from NY it is many kilometers with a tour of beautiful places. It would not only do the falls, but complement it with a wide tour

My husband and I recently visited Niagara Falls when we found ourselves with a few extra days off in the summer. The falls themselves are absolutely breathtaking; both the US and Canadian Falls are so immense and wondrous to see.
There are a lot of options to see and appreciate them as well. We visited the Maid of the Mist, which offers boat views of the falls, and the Cave of the Winds, where you can see the American Falls from underneath and the Canadian Falls in the distance. You can explore the top of the American Falls from Niagara State Park and see them from hotels and the walkways in Fallsview, Canada. There are fireworks nightly at 9pm as well with the lit falls behind them, which is another cool way to see the falls.
If you're planning to visit, I would decide what kind of experience you want. The hotels in Fallsview have beautiful views of the falls but it's very touristy there. The New York side is far less touristy but doesn't have a straight-on view, though it is a lot more convenient if you want to visit the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. There are some trails to explore in that park as well, which is really peaceful.
Overall, I'm really glad we got to see the Falls but I likely wouldn't return because it was just too crowded and touristy for me. They are definitely breathtaking, though, and I'd probably consider them a must-see, even if only once.

Explored the Canadian side 12 years ago, now it was the American side. Schedule a lot of time and be willing to spend dollars. And definitely do the boat tour. In general, one day is not enough! To watch everything in peace

The waterfalls are beautiful but the business created around them makes them a terrible experience. You expect to find yourself in front of a spectacle of nature but stuck in a meat grinder of raincoats or red or blue or yellow you don't enjoy anything at all! Visit the Canadian side where they took advantage by creating a "mini-Las Vegas" to complete the damage, and squeeze the tourist to death. Sin!

Not much to do on the NY side and everything closes by 10pm and some restaurants by 5pm which is ridiculous. The Canadian side is making bank and NY doesn't care to make money off the site.

Such a fun and memorable trip! We stayed within walking distance and could walk everywhere! The pedestrian bridge was a nice surprise to walk to Goat Island to get a different perspective of the Falls. Was debating on spending the money to go on Maid of the Mist and SO GLAD we did this- it truly is a fun and memorable experience with an opportunity to get great photos! Loved Niagara Falls!

Bedore Tours…tour guide - Mark the Canadian…
Best advice is to definitely go for the tour…we saw more and heard more history than we would ever have going on our on. Wonderful experience. Don’t look back…take this tour.

This was so amazing! There were A LOT of birds and they have no fear. We went to Cave of the Winds and couldn’t stop talking about it. It was so amazing getting to walk so close to the Falls and experience it. There were A LOT of people while we were there. We arrived at 6pm and were able to secure tickets for the 7:44 Cave of the Winds Experience. They do an excellent job of calling out the times and keeping the lines moving. However, a lot of people just cut in front of you the entire time. 🫤 My teens were a little irritated by how rude some of the other patrons were. They enjoyed the presentation that was shown before you go to the Cave of the Winds experience. Be prepared to be a little stinky afterwards…the water we wrung out of our clothes was pretty gross.

Magnificently beautiful! We also went at night and saw it lit up and were blown away! One of God's great masterpieces!

As a kid my dad forbade stopping at anything touristy so as an old person I am thrilled to get a chance to do every kitschy touristy thing out there. At first I was taken aback at Niagara Falls, I thought it would be a sort of natural area like Yellowstone or Yosemite but as we rolled in from Toronto I realized how naive I was. Falls aside, this area is a huge, popular, tourist trap and I love it. We went on the Hornblower fireworks trip, which at night was just beautiful, we walked across the bridge and did Wind Cave, not realizing how soaked we were going to get (it was awesome), walked to every overlook on the US side, wandered back to Canada and did went to the Behind the Falls tour. There are 120 gazillion people here on a Saturday, you can’t get reservations for a decent meal anywhere (rookie mistake), and it has rained off an on all day. I’m having the tube of my life and I couldn’t care less. I am extremely glad we went to the American side of the falls where it is a little more natural and got a good contrast with the highly commercial Canadian side.
Come to Niagara Falls once in your life, it’s interesting and you’ll very likely find something to do.

The City of Niagara Falls has seen better days. Even in the tourist section and where the tourist hotels are, you're going to see run-down businesses, abandoned buildings, and some desperate people.
Two good reasons to still go, though. First is Niagara Falls State Park. It's a nice Park which gives you great, free views of the Falls, and offers you better, pay-for, views of the Falls. In the park, you can pay for the better views from the Maid of The Mist boat tour, and from the observation deck.
The second is the International Pedestrian Bridge that gets you over the river and to the nice casinos and restaurants of Niagara Falls, Ontario (Canada). The Bridge - known as The Rainbow Bridge - is right next to the Park.
As for the tourist section of Niagara Falls, it's a cross between tacky Orlando, Florida, and tacky Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Tacky T-shirt shops, tacky souvenir stalls, tacky indoor attractions (e.g., arcades), and second-rate casinos. But the tourist section has good food choices, especially East Asian.

Had a fabulous time in Niagara Falls views from the hotel were great. I would certainly recommend having a Fallsview room - well worth it.
The only downside were the hidden charges. On arrival I agreed to over the extra cost of a single breakfast as the room only included 2 and there were 3 of us in our party plus valet parking. As always when I book into a hotel I always ask about any additional charges. I was advised 'No'. On checking out 12 days later, I requested a final bill, which confirmed the agreed charges. On returning to the UK, I discover they had charged an additional, approximately £300. I queried this and I was subsequently issued with another bill which showed charges relating to Resort Fees and Additional Occupancy Fees neither of which had been agreed by me. I challenged these and was advised that the charges would remain. Disappointed I sent a further message asking for details of who I could escalate my complaint. I subsequently sent a further message to the contact provided which on two occasions has been ignored, not even an acknowledgement. Disgusted.

Note that Niagara is on two levels! The lower levels are the Falls and the upper level is where you find all the hotels. The ONLY access points between the two are the Main Street by the border crossing, through the Victoria park and up some steps OR on the short funicular at $6 one way! We found a trail but it was marked No Entry but it does give access to the power station car park if you’re feeling adventurous!

Even though it was raining, we had a wonderful time with Larry S. on our Niagara Falls tour! Highly recommend!

There is no bad spot to view the falls. The Canadian side is better only because you can view the front, and see all 3 at once. American side is beautiful though.

The Falls are fabulous! The property is well kept and clean. This was the first time ever we have encountered "ALL WELCOMED" bathrooms, and I have to say I was very uncomfortable when I exited my stall and 3 men were standing there. Why not keep a men's a women's and an all then nobody has to be in a position they are uncomfortable with just to do a basic human function.

Did all the sites as a bus tour and it was amazing. No waiting in line and paying to park everywhere.

It was a dream come true for me and an awesome Birthday gift from my husband. It was just amazing to actually be there and ride the boat and do the caves. Can't skip those two.

Worth the trip to see / experience the falls, for sure. However, outside the official Niagara Falls State Park - which is very nice - a tourist trap ensues. So, get in and get out. Stay in a B&B about a mile away. 2 days in Niagara is enough time to see / experience the beauty of the falls.

The full shape of the waterfall is more visible when viewed from the Canadian side than from the American side. But unable to cross the Rainbow Bridge as we have not yet fully vaccinated
There is an electric boat facility to go near the waterfall. But still, don’t go too close. Even if we wear poncho (a top made of polythene,) we will still get somewhat wet. The beauty of the waterfall splashing and falling on us is a personal feeling.

We spent a lot of time at the falls. Three of the four of us had never been there. We did the Maid of the Mist which EVERYONE SHOULD DO! Then we climbed the stairs, walked the trails and stopped at the overlooks to see the powerful water from many vantage points.
We went into Canada but travelers should make sure they've filled out the ArriveCan form before trying to enter. We hadn't and had to go back to the US side to do it. The form doesn't have a place to state you are only visiting for a few hours.
It's an amazingly beautiful area and we enjoyed the uncluttered, un-Vegas-like atmosphere on the US side more than the Canada side. Yet, Tim Horton's beckoned and that ended up being our highlight on the Canada side.

Trips to the Goat Island to visit Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds on US side are a life-time experience with enormous excitement and tons of fun.

Full of history and impressive!!! The people on Canada side are very friendly and helpful. Everything looks clean and is family oriented.

I don't recommend the US side of Niagara Falls for two reasons: the falls view is not as good and the city is is a sad, sorry place to be with too many abandoned manufacturing buildings left to rot, homes that need windows not boards, and tourist places that provide fun that are not a casino! We were there when COVID measures meant no one was working but a lot of people were visiting. Restaurants were closed. the few that were open would only serve 8 families at a time. It is just so sad. You can tell the government has tried to reinvest in the area around the river with falls viewing and boat rides. That was fun. And then we left.

First visit to the American side of the falls. The power of the falls and the closeness was awe inspiring. This was my sides first visit and she was overjoyed.

Been here many times growing up and continue to come to feel the mist on a hot day and just lazily walk about. Then hit a nice place for dinner

I was very exc6to get here. Once I got here, it was just ok. I walked down the stairs where there were many plastic bottles thrown all over the place.

American side which is about 10% of the whole Falls. The views are much better from Canada sides. Unbelievable is that about century ago it was highly occupied by the industries

I have never been. I had to enter information in order to submit.

Being there is nothing like looking at pictures, it is so spectacular to feel the mist, see the falls up close and personal, journey right next to the falls.

This is one of my bucket list. I visited it late in the evening so there was only less people to take some pictures when the waterfalls was illuminated by colorful lights. And then I also visited it in the morning until afternoon to enjoy some attractions like Maid of The Mist and Cave of The Winds and the trails. In the evening I watched the fireworks on the Canada side.

Roberto made our experience very fun! We will definitely book this again! This was our first time visiting and we enjoyed everything

I have been here a couple of times. Just a beautiful site. Great to walk and watch. Went on a Saturday in June. Lots of tourists and crowds but to be expected. But having to stand three deep to get a view diminished the experience.

New York side. Beautiful view. Walked along the rapids from our hotel (Hampton)to the falls. Monday evening in February was deserted walking back.

The history and story of the falls as it explained during the tour was extraordinary. The knowledge of our tour guide was an added bonus!

Niagara Falls encompasses a whole raft of attractions, pun intended. There’s Niagara Falls the city in upstate New York on the US side as well as Niagara Falls, a city in Ontario on the Canadian side. The two cities are directly connected by the Rainbow Bridge which took almost an hour to cross and clear customs. There are three waterfalls, the most famous as well as the most spectacular being the Horseshoe Falls best seen from the Canadian side. This time, however, we accessed all three falls from the American side, heading south from the promenade to Goat Island, where there are separate vantage points for the American and Bridal Falls together then the Horseshoe. These can be reached either on foot or via the carriages of a pretend train. Almost as exhilarating as the waterfalls themselves Is to watch visitors in the depths way below like ants ceasing in the direction of a lower vantage point beneath the American Falls or in search of a Maid of the Mist boar. There are a number of cafeterias on Goat Island but the long queues were off putting.

You know exactly what you are getting and yet it always surprise me at how breath taking is this place, cant understand anyone not giving it 5 stars

Niagara Falls is awesome and we loved it and will keep coming here.Onlookers come and see, they like it very much. The family also likes it very much and everyone comes here. Let's see, Neha Agarwal looks very nice, very very nice.Looks so good anywhere I've been looking.

Family went early in the week to see the falls…clean and beautiful great for all ages but be prepared to walk a lot. Great Perry’s ice cream too!

We had a great experience seeing Niagara Falls from the American side, I have seen it several times from the Canadian side, general opinion is that American side is not worth it but I completely disagree, this side has its own charm and great views, it does not have fancy restaurants and hotels but nonetheless. GOAT Island is designed beautifully, lush gardens with multiple observation points.
We had a wonderful experience walking around the gardens with rapids flowing under the bridges, the tram ride, maid of the mist and the views, loved it!

Niagara Falls is one of the places that you don't want to miss in the US. Yes, the view is better from the Canadian side but worth seeing both sides.

The falls are incredible! However I think it would have better to stay in Canada. There is more to do and better views. Niagara NY is a dying town. I'm not sure if this is due to the pandemic or a steady decline. There is one strip downtown right by the border that is bustling, so if you stay on the US side stay right downtown. We stayed o. GRAND isle which was fine, a little out of the way, not close to attractions, but more economic. There are businesses on the island for all your needs though so you don't have to run all the way to Niagar(15 min). There is also a mini golf place with go carts and arcade.

It's beautiful and something to see indeed. I'd love to return again someday. My mum and her new spouse even got married here.

Still great to see the falls. Lots of stuff was blocked off because of the off season. Had lights and some ability to see the falls. Lots of things closed down. The U.S. side is renovating its park! 2023 will be back to see that!.

Great place, breathtaking views! We enjoyed going up to the lookout. Cheap fun, $15 for parking, 1.50 per person to go up to the lookout. Parking also gives you access to the park with a few other lookout points. You can also take a ferry out into the water so you can get a shot from below to see the falls. I think the price was $37.00 per person.
Highly recommend the visit.

Enjoy the falls by day and by night. At night, they are lit with huge colored lights and fireworks at 10pm. Walk across the bridge to Goat Island to see the falls from a different perspective. It can get very crowded, especially on holidays and weekends.

DO NOT GO FOR 4TH OF JULY- VERY CROWDED!!!. MOST OF THE VISITORS/POPULATION ARE INDIAN- THEY DO NOTTTT WEAR DEODERANT-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SMELL IS UNBEARBLE- THE SMELL LINGERS FOR MILES-IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER :(. OTHER THAN THAT- FALLS ARE BEAUTIFUL- ACTIVITIES GET BOOKED VERY QUICKLY.

It is better than you can imagine especially in the fall colors. You must visit Goat Island the the 3 Sister Islands, too!

There is no way to explain our experience in words. I simply say if you have a chance to go witness this GO!!

It's such an amazing place. You can reach several of the named falls from the paths in the park. Seek out all the different ways to reach the edge. It's surprising how close you can get to the speeding and falling water. From several places the water and spray create rainbows.

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls on the border between Ontario, Canada, and New York, USA, connected by the Niagara River. The three falls are the Horseshoe Falls (the largest, on the Canadian side), the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls (both on the U.S. side). Known for its scenic power, the falls are a major tourist destination with attractions like boat tours and observation decks, and a significant source of hydroelectric power.
The three waterfalls
Horseshoe Falls: The largest of the three, located on the Canadian side of the border and carrying the majority of the Niagara River's flow.
American Falls: Located in the United States.
Bridal Veil Falls: Also on the U.S. side and located next to the American Falls.
Geography and power
The falls are created where the Niagara River, which connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, plunges over the Niagara Escarpment.
More than 168,000 cubic meters (6 million cubic feet) of water go over the crestline of the falls every minute during peak daytime tourist hours.
The area is a major source of hydroelectric power, with projects like the Niagara Power Project in New York being one of the state's largest electricity producers.
Tourist attractions and activities
Boat tours: Popular options include Maid of the Mist on the NY side and others on the Canadian side that take you into the mist at the base of the falls.
Cave of the Winds: An attraction on the U.S. side that takes you to a deck below the American Falls.
Observation decks: The Observation Tower on the U.S. side provides views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls. The Skylon Tower on the Canadian side offers panoramic views.
Walking tours: Visitors can walk across the international border via bridges like the Rainbow Bridge.
Other attractions: The area includes other attractions like the Aquarium of Niagara, amusement attractions, and shows.
Visitor information
The falls are accessible from both the United States and Canada, with cities like Buffalo, NY, on the U.S. side and Hamilton and Toronto near the Canadian side.
Niagara Falls State Park on the U.S. side is America's oldest state park and is open 365 days a year.

See the niagara falls was a spectacular experience. I felt really good . And I was near to canada at the same time.

Niagara falls is worth the drive. We had 11 hour back when we could have had less than 9 to get home , but I am so glad we did this. Awesome views , and a once in a lifetime experience

We had a Sunday tour with Steve from Grayline. We saw all the falls and went on the boat, it was awesome and we loved the entire tour

Different views then from the Canadian side. Worth visiting, the observation deck has great views. You can walk up to the falls from the base, but somewhat treacherous and you will get thoroughly soaked! Also, walk over to Goat Island and take in the views there too. Parking is reasonable at $10.

This place was amazing. The falls were gorgeous and breathtaking. The American side was beautiful and there was plenty to do at the falls. Parking was good as well. There was a parking garage close(like a block) from the entrance to the falls.

It's a good landmark but honestly you can only just look at it for so long. Most of the time you're doing the other activities that are in the area. I want to be fair. It is very cool to see, but if you're only coming here to look at it, it should be a very short trip.

Had imagined the falls bigger. On the Canadian side you can park for 37 CAD. If you don't want to go through with all the gimmicks, you're done in 45 minutes. If you cross the Rainbow Bridge into the USA, you also have a great view.

Expect to be sprayed/misted/rained on depending on the day and how close you get to the falls. Park on goat island to be close to the best falls.

What can I say? The thundering falls are incredible along with the rapids. I never get tired of seeing them as this is my 3 time in 5 years.

my wife dreamed of visiting niagara since childhood. now he is taking his master degree in america and of course this opportunity is not to be missed to visit niagara.
from new york city there is a flixbus to niagara at a fairly affordable price. the journey using flixbus from the flixbus terminal in times square takes 8 hours because it transits at several places, one of which is in buffalo.
Niagara Falls is indeed extraordinary. very worth to visit. if there is one word that can describe it is majestic. extraordinary. there are two waterfalls and both can be visited on foot. There's no place like this on the planet, so if you're in New York State, make sure to visit Niagara Falls.

I had little time to visit the falls and preferred to simply walk inside the park, a walk is enough to admire this spectacle of nature, there are several viewpoints on the American side, terrapint point, luna island from where you are only a few metres away from a unique spectacle

Visiting Niagara Falls is like seeing the power of nature in its purest form. We were on the American side, in Niagara Falls, NY — and we were hugely impressed! The waterfall rattles, the vibration is literally felt in the body, and this fog rising up is fascinating.
I really liked the fact that everything was organized conveniently. Directly from Niagara Falls State Park, there are great views of the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and even part of the Canadian side. It's especially cool to walk across the footbridge to Goat Island - it's the closest thing to the elements!
We used to get tickets to Cave of the Winds – it was a delight! They give out capes and you're literally standing by the waterfall, all noise, wet, fresh - adrenaline and delight!
At night, the lights come on, and the waterfalls glow in all colors. There was fireworks from Canada, it was cool 🎇🎇🎇Very romantic and beautiful!

By all accounts the Canadian side has the best views of all the falls. We found the US-NY side to be more nature, hiker friendly, with a variety of additional sites to see ...for free.
Free parking at the Niagara Gorge visitor center, elevator site. Then a free Discover Niagara Falls shuttle that will take you up north to the Fort and through the main Niagara/NY downtown and more.

It was amazing! Not sure why I never did it before. I’ve skipped it about 6 times. Great views and recommend doing both sides if you have time

The New York side doesn’t seem to have a lot of things to do, and we haven’t been to the Canadian side, but I will say that the Fall view we got was amazing. The Falls in person are the most beautiful natural wonder I have seen in person.

God's creations are always beautiful to admire. This is a wonderful waterfalls to visit. We enjoyed walking out on the observation deck , this was something new for us. Our last visit was 20 years ago and a lot has changed.

We went from US side to canada and back next day. It was fairly well marked and easy to find rainbow bridge, we used UBER and Lyft to get to and from the bridge and walked across with our luggage. Download the arrive Can app. They won't let you into canada without it. Wait was approximately 30-40 minutes. It is very outdoors and exposed, so look at weather and dress accordingly. The website that has the wait times for border crossing has the pedestrian part of rainbow bridge just blacked out. That and the Google search that pops up "rainbow bridge closed" was a little nerve racking going into our trip. However; once we arrived it was all very easy. I wanted to share because of the lack of info we found. Its 1$ per person to cross the bridge to the states. You need 4 quarters, There are change machines there that exchange 1$ and 5$ bills. But we had issues with it taking the only wrinkly 5 we had.
Great trip, easy to visit canada side with us passport and fully vaccinated. If you don't mind walking, I highly recommend this.

Great family trip! The falls are so pretty in fall (no pun intended). Give yourself plenty of time to explore everything the USA side has to offer. Many people focus on the Canadian side, which is spectacular, but there’s much to see here as well!

A beautiful part of Mother Natuer , can explain the feeling to you get there and feel the beauty around you and at night the fall turn colors as well

The falls are truly majestic. We visited on a near freezing day (34F), so opted to skip the boat tour, but the view from the Observation Deck was spectacular. The river walk and bridge to Goat Island are worth the amble. We also enjoyed the view of Canada!

Very impressive to see, hear and feel this waterfall. If possible, try to see both the American and Canadian sides, during the day and in the evening. We were there at the end of October and certain attractions are no longer available, such as the fireworks or the shuttle. The Canadian side has more entertainment than the American side.

First time visiting the American side of the falls. Despite being a Canadian, I thought this side was a better experience. Better views, fewer people and the parking was half the price. $1.25 to go on the lookout and take the elevator to the gorge.

A lot of photos and videos. Its a very nice experience to know about this historic place. very Clean areas, nice rides and secure place to go.

The big draw of course is the falls. We were just passing through and decided to stop and view the falls. Impressive and they have a lot of activities to participate in including getting on a boat and going to base of the falls. However, unless you are staying in the area and like to gamble at the casinos you will only need one day here at most.

My adult daughters didn't remember the falls as a kid so requested going back. We really enjoyed it. I thought I would be bored visiting again but I was not. They aren't having fireworks this year so that was a downside. I recommend everyone make a trip to the falls if you haven't! Definitely ride the Maid of the Mist and get the close up view!!

I have to say that of all the must-sees in the United States, this is one of the ones that thrilled me the least, you hear about it your whole life, then the show disappoints you

So beautiful and clean! Highly recommend if you love history and nature. Everyone was so kind and friendly!

One of the wonders of the world. Best viewing is on foot, and there are plenty of routes to explore. A trip on the Maid of the Mist will be a high point.

Stunning! An absolute must see in this lifetime! One of the most amazing experiences of my life! Highly recommended.

This is an iconic place. We were disappointed that we couldn't cross the border into Canada as they have spectacular views of Horseshoe Falls. We were able to experience the grandeur of an amazing place. Such power and beauty. A natural wonder to visit again and again.

It was mesmerizing experience for me. I did my solo trip to usa this time and Niagara Falls was left during my previous visit. If you’re traveling on your own, take a package trip. Thank you trip advisor for travel tips

We were very impressed with the Falls themselves. I got tickets off Maid of the mist website to move a long line along. June 22 is a lot of consider and it’s kinda hard to figure out where you are going. Not great signage. Parking was 10 bucks and it was full quickly. We got there as a soon as it opened. Everything great. Enjoyed the boat ride. Be fully prepared to be drenched. Got some great pics. If you plan to eat in the area doyour reset first and know where you are going. Places weren’t open. Hard Rock was full. And it seemed they weren’t impressed that you were there to spend money. Niagara Falls. 👍👍

Wow, what a fabulous experience, that Niagara Falls cruise!
The boat comes as close as possible to the falls for 5 to 6 minutes, millions of liters of water come down all around you in a deafening noise and you take the shower... It's an end-of-the-world feeling and yet we ask for more!

Viewing the the falls was difficult. We went on the USA side and the
Canadian side and took a boat right up to the falls. The mist from the water did not allow you to see a great deals of the falls. Parking fees are astronomical. Some were $24 per hour and some were $36 for the time you are there. Finding parking is a large challenge. If you do find parking expect to walk a mile to get to see the falls.

AMAZING! You can feel the power of the water. The path next to Horseshoe Falls is about 2 feet next to-above the water. The water at that point is going 40-45 miles per hour. Awesome! Then over the falls. When we were driving up to the parking lot, we were wondering what the 100-foot plume was. Turns out it was the spray and mist from the falls. The American and Bridal Veil falls were very powerful as well. One interesting thing is the water flows north. It goes from Lake Erie via the Niagara River to Lake Ontario. When you are standing next to the Niagara river it just looks “wrong”. We expected it to flow south.
They take your breath away. So worth it

Always love coming to the falls. Grew up here a child and boy has it changed. They have really revamped the downtown area. This is a must see for yourself and the family!!

I had so much more fun than I expected here! I knew about the boat tours, but I wasn’t sure what else to expect. I spent several hours here and didn’t want to leave when it came time to pack back up and head on the road again! If you get the chance to visit-arguably the best New York has to offer!

unbelievable sight. couldn't believe it. don't miss the 'behind the falls' views. You get a bit wet but with the poncho you are just fine!

We stop at Niagara Falls almost every time we are in the area, whether visiting the area or passing through to parts beyond. The Falls are truly a sight to behold for an hour or even just a few minutes. On the American side, in the state park, there are a couple of free parking lots from which it is maybe 10-15 minutes walk to the Falls; there are paid parking lots as well. Restrooms and benches are available. If you have time, walk over to Goat Island for more views of the Falls. There are several ticketed attractions--Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, Observation Deck, all of which are worth experiencing at least once.

You can literally drive up and see the falls for free. If you have your passport, walk out on the Rainbow Bridge towards Canada for the absolute best views. Go to the observation deck for $1.25 for great views as well.

I was last here forty years ago, and now returned with my family. It was breathtaking then and still is today. Seeing it at night with the colored lights is truly awesome. Highly recommended!!

It was nice to finally visit the falls. It is an amazing sight to see with great things to do in the area.

Show, strength, lots of water. The truth is that one falls short of describing this wonder of nature.
As a normal state park in the United States, the place has the conditions to enjoy: spaciousness, good sidewalks, trails, safety, accessibility and cleanliness; You can practically get there by car. Admission is free, except for parking, which has a flat cost of $10 USD.
Due to the season in which I traveled, the commercial spaces and maid of the mist were closed, but it was no excuse to enjoy the place.

Breathtaking to see during the day and in the evening. Night viewing is recommended when the rainbow lights are reflected on the falls and the water below. Must get there at the edge near the observation tower between 30 minutes to one hour before sundown, or the crowds on the safety rail will not budge making photo opportunities very difficult.

If you want to start your visit to Niagara Falls from the USA side, you will go to parking lots 1 (Prospect Point) or 2 (Goat Island) - there you pay a daily parking fee of 10 - 15 USD (depending on the time of year or day of the week). .
On the American side it is a state park - free to visit, unless you want to ride the "Maid of the Mist" or get to the "Cave of the Winds", which are paid attractions.
On the American side are the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls and a small section of the Horseshoe Falls - but these are best seen from the Canadian side.

today we took the day trip to Niagara Falls with ober the Falls tours! and it was perfect. I highly recommend the tour and the company! it's really worth it.

Niagara Falls is the perfect place to view the Falls, Canada, Cave, Maid of the Mist, and State Parks. Definitely a must.

I often read that the falls from the US side are not good. Well, they were perfect and we truly enjoyed them, even more than the Canadian side.

Visited Niagara as a child, but, went back and so very glad I did. The Falls are magnificent as are all the areas to walk and enjoy the Park.

A spectacle of nature that is definitely worth seeing. Better the view from the Canadian side than the American one. Sunset time advice.

Unimaginable experience, something never to be forgotten. It is worth traveling even for 1 day and visiting this great wonder. Don't miss it and you will remember it forever.

We had a great day here in Niagara falls. Pity boat trips were not running but seen all the falls. They are not back open until 22nd May

We rented bikes (there are also electric scooters and Electric Razors available) and rode around Niagara Falls State Park. The huge vista below, the waterfalls and rock walls on the Canadian side make for a awe inspiring visit.

You must experience the beauty and the power of the water. It's truly a beautiful and breathtaking. It brings you closer to nature.

had a great time here with my grandmother, even though we went late September it was still fairly warm

Views from the Canadian side, beautiful and unheard of power, we liked a lot, certainly too much wild speculation around, do not value the same, boat ride a must, different perspectives unfortunately cause lack of time we wanted to do other rides and prospects but it will be for next time.

I paid $15 for the day to park by the Maid of the Mist. This price was worth it to me. On the Canadian side, you could pay $22/hour in some spots. Beyond the Niagara Parks Power Station on the Canadian side, I paid $35/day, but this was a far walk to the Welcome Centre. This is where I parked to experience Walking Behind the Falls.

Breathtaking views. Although it was in December we were fortunate to have cool but fine weather during our visit. The tourist shops at the park were closed for the season and not many visitors which suited us fine.

It was amazing. The scenery, the adventures, food & let me not forget Lenny. He was an amazing tour guide. Explained everything to us, every detail & made us laugh the whole time. An amazing experience & would definitely removed Lenny for anyone going there in the future.

This is the second time that I’ve been to Niagara Falls. The first time we skipped over the American side and went to Canada. This time since the border was closed we hung out on the American side and walk around for several hours. I didn’t think I’d enjoy the falls as much as I did. We walked around the park/ goat island for a few hours. It’s definitely a sight to see.
As one reviewer mentioned the area around the falls outside the “downtown” looks sketchy but we literally walked around for hours and weren’t bothered by anyone and our car didn’t get broken into.
I really enjoyed my weekend there and would highly recommend the falls area

Canada 1 USA 0
Never stay on the US side of the falls. I was shocked at how run down and downright dangerous the place was at night. Abandoned hotels and shops, homeless with shopping trolleys, a really dodgy supermarket, really awful restaurants, very average bog standard hotels…. I was appalled. DEFINITELY stay on the Canadian side, friendly welcoming, much better hotels, great choice of restaurants, awesome view of the falls. Dead easy to cross into Canada, took us 5 minutes to pass through customs.

My family and I drove 11 hours to see Niagara. This trip isn’t worth the drive or money if you do not have other plans in the area. We saw the falls and took pictures within an hour. There isn’t much else to do in the area. The surrounding area is a dump. No nice restaurants or hotels. We stayed in Buffalo NY, which gave us more budget friendly stay.
We arrived at 7:50am and avoided crowds and parked for free on Goat Island.

What an amazing experience ! The car park is $10.00 for all day.
You need to wear something waterproof even on a dry day as the spray from the Falls follows you around !
We spent quite a few hours walking around the various viewing platforms - amazing how close yo can get to the water ! Awe inspiring with the rumble from the water and the sheer size of the Falls.
The gift shop is quite expensive but has a huge range of souvenirs , there are plenty of modern toilets and cafe.
Definitely worth the effort and what memories.

You should consider this even though you get wet , you will see nothing greater than the falls. Its so beautiful and worth the drive

Niagara is Niagara, that will never change. We love visiting there. We were disappointed with the amount of litter around the park and near the falls, a sad situation. The park staff is great and helped in whatever we asked about. Great place to visit.

we have been planning for quiet sometime and it was an amazing experience and thrill i had with my wife.

It is a spectacle of nature that you never tire of looking at. It's overcrowded, true, but how can it not be, if it's beautiful. Time of year: spring/autumn and during the week, on weekends it gets impossible. The ideal is to have one day, two nights. The night you arrive you see the fireworks and the colored water, you dedicate the entire next day to the falls, entering Canada, and the next morning you leave.

This was our first time at the falls. Our Daughter had a soccer tournament over the weekend and we had a lot of time to go to the falls. Was awesome going to different overlooks to see the falls. If we decide to do it again this would be a one day trip for us. But we really enjoyed it.

Everything is in walking distance. Lots of good places to eat and shop. Lots of places to stop and take pictures.

This was a great place to visit. The Falls are awesome and the park is very nice. We want to come back!

We love to come all seasons of the year. Contining changing. Love to bring people for their 1st time experience.

This is one wonder in the US that should be seen some time in your life. Our timing was good in that the crowds were down. That also means some of the restaurants and amusements were also closed as the season is winding down. The state park welcome center is being reborn Prospect Hill-so it was messy around it. Cave of the Winds was closed as well ,but our tour substituted the power plant tour as a make up. Very interesting to tour the exhibits there and it is free. The city of Niagara Falls needs some revitalization projects and detract from the Falls Park, but still worth the trip.

If you have never been to see Niagara Falls, it is a must see for your bucket list. I think the Horseshoe falls are more spectacular and are best viewed from the Canadian side. That being said, they can also be seen from Goat Island and there is a decent view from there as well.

Right off the bat, let me say my wife and I and our 16yr old daughter enjoyed the visit. Eyes open, it was everything we expected - good and bad - and we crossed off all the things on our 4 day visit's list. Beautiful clear weather (if 30+ Celsius Mon-Fri), but just about everything was necessarily air-conditioned. Hotel stay for 4 nights steps away from Clifton Hill and the Falls, so the car was only used for excursions beyond the central attractions. Let's do this in point form:
1 - You can do it in a day, maybe 2. If you're staying for more, you can easily (EASILY) pencil in a visit to the wineries 15-20 mins away towards Niagara-on-the-Lake (beautiful little town and def worth the day-visit) or a day at the beaches 20-30 mins away in the Crystal Beach area on Lake Erie or a shopping afternoon at the Outlet Collection (one of THE very best shopping experiences by consensus we've had (and I HATE shopping experiences...).
2 - Niagara Falls or, more to the point, "Niagara Falls" (the clichés you see in your mind when I say that) is a Grade A, unapologetic tourist trap during the high season. Everything is expensive no matter your point of comparison and the math is easy: "$$$ x #", where "$$$" is a normal cost you'd expect times 2 or 3; and "#" is the number of people in your party. Don't say you weren't told.
3 - That said, even the iconic things are surprisingly fun. For everybody. Whether you do the go-karts at the Elevated Speedway or the Dinosaur themed mini-putt (both of which we all THOROUGHLY enjoyed btw) or Ripley's or bowling or laser tag or whatever, simply put, it's all pretty good fun. Problem is, almost everything takes 10-15 mins and then you're on to the next thing. That, my working class family friends, means the day adds up pretty darned quickly. By design, I might add.
3 - Food of any definition seems a gouge. Everywhere. All day. Denny's - DENNY'S!! - was almost a 100$ breakfast for 3. And don't get me started on the Rainforest Cafe for our first night's dinner together. That said (actually, UNsaid I guess...), at all points and at all times, the service at the restaurants, at the attractions, and just generally in the streets was very very good. Rarely did we not get an answer to a question and never without a pleasant exchange. Niagara Falls seems to have figured out customer service.
4 - the Falls themselves: pretty. damned. impressive. The geographical and geological facts of the matter are going to stun even the most cynical of you. We did only the Canadian side of things (it's 2025 and no thanks Donald. Niagara Falls may be ripping us off to an extent, but our money is staying here thank you very much), but the views are jaw-dropping and with the nightly light show and fireworks (NIGHTLY! ... AND we got a front row seat from our hotel room), forgiving the crowds (wow!), it was worth our 7 hour drive alone. And with the boat tour right up under the Falls exceeding my personal expectation by yards (figuratively and literally) probably being my highlight, I left not feeling too bad about the rapidly accumulating expenses. Not too bad...
We wouldn't do it again. Just too many other places in this world to visit. Do it once, but do it. Definitely a family must, once. Just make sure, the credit card is in your front pocket: you'll be pulling it out on the regular.

Kept us talking and laughing the whole tour. Just the right amount of time to keep our interest. Beautiful to look at is an understatement.

There are no security or police among all these number of tourists. A commotion and fight could be super ugly super soon in this over subscribed place

The Falls are the star of course. Majestic and amazing. The cafe is lackluster with ordering at the counter and only outdoor seating. I walked out. Gift shop $35.00 T-shirts are they kidding? The area around the falls is incredibly run down. Sad to see. It’s as if India has taken over. All the restaurants are Indian food or bad chain food. I found a cute Filipino place within walking from my hotel. The Miami House.
My suggestion would b to make this a day trip and overnight somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I had a great time. Would recommend one of the guided tours. We did the helicopter ride and all the attractions in one day. Well worth the money.

My eldery 88 yr old mom, 2 yr old son and husband and i
Good weather..did the boat..my 2nd time last was 5yrs ago. Both times enjoyable
There are several stairs..i didn't see a handicapped access around it, but maybe its hidden. If you dont want to get as wet. Stay under the boat cover otherwise for full experience go to bow of boat..its a rush! There are some chairs built into the boat on the sides for folks like my mom who cant stand too long
Stay at the doubletree hotel for with water view see the river. No US hotel has falls view
My mom had a great time..typically she's a complainer, but no complaints there.

Aw man, this place as stunning as I remember.
I came here in 1998 for a Girl Scout trip, and I couldn't wait to come back.
It's huge and thunderous and peaceful and beautiful.
I can't remember much aside from the Falls themselves and riding the Maid of the Mist. So I don't know what's relatively new.
So to continue, I love how they have all railings where you can see through, but can't maneuver through. Felt really safe having a toddler in tow.
Parking was $10 for the day for our sedan, which is way better than around the corner for $25. And this is closer anyways. A nice sized paved lot that included handicap and electric spots.
They had the elevator to the top, and my, what a spectacular view of the waterfalls and Canada.
Fully paved pathways. They did have ramps for walking so makes it easier for the mobility impaired. However up to the area next to Niagara is all stairs and it's super wet.
You can go under the Falls and get soaked if you buy tickets for Cave of the Winds. There are also souvenir barrel photos you can purchase too for they said $50 each (it has to do with someone historically riding down the Falls in a barrel).
The gift store has a vast amount of beautiful souvenirs. I got two duckies with the raincoats for my toddler and I, and my youngest daughter got nail clippers and a Moose.
If they don't have something you like, it'd be very surprising. They have cups, clothes, toys, and everything in between.
Staff was very friendly. Store was clean. Very well organized.
There is a snack shop outside where everything pretty much averages out to $3 each. Nothing that will fill your belly, but sure tastes good on a hot day.
A lot to take in, and a lot of walking to be prepared. But you can take the trolley. I think it was $3 each for adults and $2 each for kids. And it takes you across the bridge too.
You can take a stroller or wagon through Goat Island.
I believe they had bathrooms back by Cave of the Winds, but definitely had some on the Observation Deck. Plus seating, shade and water fountains.

We enjoyed the Falls. The Canadian side is very nice. The USA side is just okay. The hotels are fair on the USA side

Niagara Falls is an amazing experience! We came for my birthday! I will always remember the wonders of that day!

My husband and I visited Niagara Falls for the first time. I always wanted to come here to see God’s Beautiful Creation- It was simply amazing -An Amazing Breathtaking experience!

Awesome falls. You can see both the US falls and the Canadian falls from land but do try to look at them from the perspective of the cruise and also do the journey behind the falls and tunnel from the power station.
Also worth going back to at to see the light show but be aware that it gets extremely crowded at night.

There was lots to see, do, and eat in the area. The variety of tourist attractions was a good mix for all ages.
The tourist area reminded me of a mini vegas.

Seeing the falls and having a great guide, Team Jessica, who knew all the history and geography of the falls made all the difference between great and fantastic

The falls were all beautiful and powerful. When you get close, you get wet. I am so glad we went there.

One of the best waterfalls in the world and this is largest waterfall I have seen in my life. We stayed in a hotel with full view of Niagara Falls and we spend hours and hours just watching the falls. It is so beautiful and an amazing. I fully recommend this waterfalls.

My fiancé and I went on a romantic get away. The falls as a world wonder is amazing!!! We only stayed in the US side. The two best thing a to do are the cave of the winds and the maid of the mist. You can buy your boat ticket online but you still have to make the lines. The cave of the winds I followed the advice of other website and worked. Arrive 30 min before they open to get your ticket and avoid long lines. They only provide plastic poncho but no sandals. I think 2 days are more than enough. Our hotel was voco de cadence, exceptional!!! And it has an on site restaurant: Seva. Probably the best in the US side. The only thing I didn’t like is to see how people enjoy destroying Niagara Falls during its history (take a look) and they continue doing it by doing fireworks EVERY NIGHT DURING SUMMER. This is stupid and unnecessary. The noise, the smoke, the contamination. It should be done in special holidays only BUT NOT EVERY DAY. Just for the show and please tourists with disregard for nature, is completely unnecessary. Completely destroys what you are looking for: tranquillity. To the park’s authorities: Instead of wasting money in powder, you should improve your lights and do a laser show like other people has proposed

We have visited the Falls numerous times and never get tired of it. The Park on Goat Island is beautiful with awesome views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls, and offers close ups of the river rapids above the Falls from islands in the river. Parking at the lot closest to the Falls on Goat Island is $10 ($15 Fri-Sun). The other part of the Park is in town, but parking at one is good for both lots on the same day.

We have all seen pictures of the Falls, but visiting it in person is an amazing experience. The Falls are beautiful, especially if you go at night when they are lit up. The sound of the water flowing over is unbelievable with all that power. Definitely a must-see.

We chose to go here this year because my sister, mother, and I had not been there in 49 years. We decided to recreate the photos that we took as little children. It was fun!
Niagra Falls itself and the park is beautiful. But, everything is super expensive. I understand that tourist areas are always a bit high (I used to live in Orlando!), but prices are outrageous here. I know the industry took a hit last year, but don't discourage people when they are trying to return.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the surrounding areas. Driving around town there were many, many dilapidated or boarded up buildings.
We stayed in a hotel just outside of downtown because of cost. When we drove into town, the same applies -- dilapidated buildings everywhere and TERRIBLE roads (we need an alignment check on the car because of bumps in the road.) The town or county charges almost double sales tax on items, so the roads should be good.
We also had to endure passing a landfill. It wasn't terrible to see, it was behind a high hill, but we definitely smelled it. The smell didn't linger, but we smelled it! I was surprised that it was so close to residential areas.
I would definitely recommend to see this natural wonder at least once, but it's not a place to hang around for several days. I would have liked to go to the Canada side, but that is not allowed at the moment.

When he comes to Niagara Falls on vacation I had a very nice experience about the history of Niagara I just want to suggest that they make a movie about it This story is very interesting for the world and I would enjoy it to the fullest

We, a family of 6, travelled in May. First we went to Niagra Park and saw Niagra falls from there. It is massive & beautiful. Next day morning we went for the famous Maid of the mist boat tour which is truly worth & must do. After that we went to Goat Island and saw Niagra falls from there. I guess many people were not going to goat island and missing that great experience. View of main fall from Goat Island should not be missed. It is far far better than view from Niagra park.

I was here when I was 6 (1955) with my mother and sister on our way to visit my aunt in Rome, NY. We did not have the money for the. Maid or the Mist. This left a great impression on me. I promised myself I would return to ride the Maid of the Mist. Later I said I wanted to take the love of my life here. At 73 I finally realized my dream. It was great. No disappointment.
The falls were as great as I remember them. The boat ride was awesome.
I recommend everyone go at least once. Stay for the light show. If you can also go to the Canadian side. We could not on this trip. However, I still remember the view from when I was 6 from the Canadian side. Both are awesome.

Niagara Falls is known for its jaw-dropping scenic beauty, thundering roar. it's a must-see tourist spot if you in both ends USA or Canada.
Just DO this trip!
One of the real marvels in the US. The power and beauty are only surpassed by the variety of ways to experience it. We did the Over the Falls Maid of the Mist Tour and highly recommend it, but don't miss the falls at night!
