If you love looking at the ocean this is the spot for you. Quiet and breathtaking. No place to swim but plenty of places to look and enjoy.

Almost impossible to choose which cottage was the most beautiful. Will just have to drive Ocean Avenue again. :)

Quaint & charming Kennenebunkport leads you right to Ocean Drive. If you prefer narration, the Trolley will take gou by the beaches, the cliffs, the Bush compound & the town. If's a FUN way to get around & a highlight of knowledge from your Driver ! (Remember to be kind & give fhem a tip)

We were just passing through and after a long day of driving we stopped into Kennebunkport. Ocean avenue is beautiful and it gave us our first feeling of being in Maine.

The beauty of Ocean Avenue changes with the seasons. Of course it is spectacular on a blue sky summer's day, but walk it in the fog and feel the mist on your face as you breath in the salt air! Of course, I'm a Mainer with a lobster fisherman for a husband so I find the stark beauty of our coast to be rewarding regardless of the weather. If you don't care to walk, there are places to pull off and enjoy the view from your car. Benches are also provided for walkers to rest and recharge!

Great beaches and easy to park. Parking is a little expensive unless you have a season pass. Very safe and clean.

This is just so stunningly beautiful. May we all be respectful of nature and take pride in keeping it pristine. If you see litter, pick it up!!

Classy Avenue filled with majestic scenery and homes, culminating with the Bush Family compound. Good idea to both walk and drive so you can take in all the lushly landscaped homes , many with direct Ocean views. St Ann's church also on the Ave, which was used by the Bush Family including the wedding of their granddaughter.

Beautiful views. Was a little cloudy when we were there but spectacular vistas with spots to pull over and take pictures

We did his drive on a very stormy day, but it was still very beautiful. The raw power of the ocean is on display in many spots. We meandered along for about 45 minutes, ending up at a small marina at Cape Porpoise looking out across a long bay to the lighthouse.
About 1/3 of the way, there is a nice pull-off, overlooking the bay and peninsula that is home to one of our former President's. What a spectacular piece of property.

This drive with all of it's beautiful homes is so filled with history. The unending beauty of the coast & ocean are unmatched anywhere. You drive past homes of past presidents & unknowns, but they all have one thing in common.....an expressed desire to maintain the beauty & tradition of the past and integrate it the present.

Ocean Avenue has pubs and casual dining along with numerous art galleries and other types of shopping.

We enjoyed the beautiful Maine costal scenery and the many substantial houses ( both older as well as more current construction ) along the road. A leisurely ride can take you back years as you are exposed to traditional New England costal style homes. Also fun to see newer homes and their take on design. Always like to see how the more affluent populous lives. Enjoyed seeing former President George H W Bush's home from the pull off at Walker Point.

Nice seaside New England village, very busy with tourists. Tons of people resulting in limited parking and long lines everywhere. Very scenic and terrific August weather. Nice visit Souvenir shopping and taking in the views of the beaches and harbor.

We stayed on Ocean Avenue across from Walkers Point. I did not want to come home. I got up every morning for a rum into town and back. I’ve never enjoyed running so much. Other than the cars slow,y rolling by to see the Bush compound, it’s perfecrion.

We stopped to stroll on the beach on our way back from Walkers point. It was a hot late spring evening and the 50 degree water felt so cold!! Even on the 90 degree day. The north side of the beach was in nicer shape than the south side. The parking really was scarce and since we visited on the 13th of June we didnt have to get a pass. I think we were a day or two shy from having to buy the summer parking pass required to park by the beach.

Another easy excursion to get you out and about. You can either walk it from the hotel or take a nice leisurely drive. Beautiful view of home and water views...

Nothing really spectacular here except some very large million dollar homes and a rocky coastline. We were here in the middle of October and the drive wasn't so bad until you get into Kennebunkport itself. Couldn't get out of there fast enough as it was a mass of humanity spilling out of a bazillion knick-knack shops and clogging up the streets.

You absolutely need to pass on this road, the view on the ocean is very pretty and you can also see the big houses on the other side of the road. Finally, if you have more time i sugget a stop to look at the Bush's houses.

Ocean avenue offers some wonderful ocean side views of beautiful coastal Maine. The rocky shoreline, pounding surf, and tasteful homes and estates offer a glimpse of the lifestyle in the area. It was a really nice drive that ended in the heart of downtown Kennebunkport.

A drive down Ocean Avenue shows you why the wealthy built lavish homes there. To the east is the North Atlantic Ocean and its pound surf. Inland it is beautiful homes and a quaint town that just screams New England.

Ocean Drive takes you by some beautiful homes and the stunning rocky, rugged Maine Coast. Of course, you pass the famous Bush retreat which is really not much to see as it is too far away but still worth seeing at least once.

Easy walk or ride along the beach road that will take you past Walker Point (summer home to former president Bush #41). Continue up to Cape Porpoise for

Driving on Ocean Ave is mesmerizing. The curves of the road, the shops, restaurants, lovely homes, Resort and Inns punctuate it beautifully. The added treat of St. Ann's Church open to the public and seating area with Ocean view is captivating; and the amazing Bush compound begs one to stop awaiting for activity. I love walking up/down Ocean Ave, I take advantage of the number of hidden seating areas that run along the ocean to view the expanse.

Excellent to either drive, walk, run or sail by!
We jogged a bit of it one day (stopping for pictures near St. Ann, which is beautiful), drove the rest of it another day, and sailed by it one evening. Just a beautiful view all around!

So we were recently in Dover NH for a grad party and i said, "hey, lets go see what George is up to".
Actually we just wanted a nice drive with the top down in the cool sea breeze. Not my shirt top, the car top. If you read my review on Wells Beach you will notice people and small animals don't like it when my shirt is off.
So we headed for George's house for a few drinks and a cigar moving along the coast. Very cool looking villages, shops, and coves to look at and explore.
I stopped at the front gate and told the guy in the black suit i was there for drinks and a cigar with George and he kinda laughed at me. Said i had to make an appointment. So i whipped out my Area 51 ID card and he was like. "oh! your one of those guys"?
I was then i was told to move along and he pinched my butt as i turned around. But we got some cool pictures of George's house and told his neighbors he was from the Orion Nebula and that there was a secret UFO base in the basement.
Anyway, great scenery. Epic drive to cool you down on a hot day.

A drive on Ocean Avenue is a must do. Spectacular scenery even on a very wet and windy day. Beautiful homes (and the Bush family residence)

Great walk from the middle of town to Colony Beach. It's a good way to get introduced to the coastline.

When in the area one must drive along this road, especially if you are heading walkers point. But make sure you stop at the other areas along the way

I have spent hours at a time sitting at Spouting Rock and watching as the tide comes in and the Cavern in the rocks spouts anywhere from mid tide to 1.5 hours before high tide and 1.5 hours after high tide to mid tide on the way out. It is a sight to see when there are rolling waves and initially right after a storm when the water can spout high enough to spray someone on Ocean Ave. I have lost count of the number of times I have been drenched at this place. It is where some of my ashes will be placed!

This is a lovely coastal drive down a winding road dotted with extravagant homes (including the Bushes) and affording a close-up view of Maine's magnificent rocky shoreline. A must-do!

The views are amazing from here! It's a must drive/see when you're in Kennebunkport! On one side is the ocean and on the other are lovely seaside residences... oh my goodness...

Tour guide on our bus took us down Ocean Avenue and we saw some beautiful homes and hotels. Also related some history of some of the places, which added to the interest.

We took this drive from Boston to Portland to enjoy the ocean view. We stopped off at Cape Arundel and were pleasantly surprised to see George W. Bush's house across the bay. The kids loved climbing on the rocks and we took plenty of pictures.

Walked up and down the street several times to and from Docks Square - always nice to do after dinner or in the morning. Also, headed towards the jetty to watch the ocean and fishermen. Several hotels and restaurants on it always provide good choices for meals.

We did it on a sunny day by car starting in Kennebunkport and enjoyed every second of it. Ocean views are awesome and here are the key spots that are worth a stop: St Ann's Church, Walkers Point (the Bush family private estate), and Cape Porpoise (good stop for lunch with a few lobster restaurants with a view on the harbor).

Don't miss this road so beautiful & peaceful. Take your car and enjoy the natural beauty

Doesn't take very long but worth it

A fine walk from Kennebunkport (or along the road) that gives varied glimpses of the rugged coast, interesting architecture, and a quasi-pilgrimage stop overlooking President Bush's compound at Walker point. Breathe the air! Enjoy the walk

Kennebunkport is a must see if visiting Maine. The Ocean Avenue drive is gorgeous, and complete with beaches, homes, and Walker's Point.

You can drive up and down this road and the area is beautiful. I usually come here at the end of summer, but I can only image what it looks like in the fall.
I would recommend walking as much as possible to take in the beauty of this area.
(We park, then walk!)

We went in Feb 2025 during a particular cold/windy snap, but wanted to walk the walk and 'do the thing' while in Kennebunkport. It was a pretty walk, and we even tromped through the snow to sit on a bench for a while in the sun.

The beach and church parking were both roped off when we went, but there were plenty of open spots at the roadside parking just across from the Bush's home.

Locals seems a bit offput by tourists - like complaining about tourists driving too slow looking at things when they need to get home, and yet simultaneously complaining about how the tourists always fly through the area...

Either way it was a pretty drive, and nice walk.

A stroll along Ocean Avenue is just good for the soul. The ocean all around you as far as you can see with it's relaxing rolling waves. Spouting Rock is so fun to watch. The historical stone church building is amazing. Beautiful houses all along the way. If you are fortunate enough to meet some locals along the way, all the better.

This area is a classic New England coastal area. Bueatiful ocean scenery, gorgeous homes. Nice area for a walk on the road or onto,the rocks.

Get a chance to see how the 1/10 of 1 % live. Immaculate estate homes and landscaping with a to die for location. Topped off with a panoramic view of President Bush's family compound.

We decided to walk from Kennybunkport as I wanted to see the Bush compound but after a mile decided it may not be a good idea it was clearly a much longer walk than we anticipated . We returned by car , stopping at ST Anne's church on the way which I would recommend. We found a parking spot by luck at the lay by opposite the Bush home and took our Touristy shots but it was a lovely drive and I wouldn't recommend it

Gorgeous ocean drive every day for decades. Truly blessed to live it and experience it every day. Amen!

If you're in Kennebunkport this in not to be missed, Ocean Ave has wonderful sea views as well as a glimpse of the Bush Compound.

On our way south to Dock Square in Kennebunkport’s village center, we took this two-lane, two-mile (3.2 km) scenic drive along the shore. Traffic was light for a weekend afternoon in high season. One highlight was seeing the Bush compound on Walker’s Point, which was gated but had persons and vehicles out on its grounds. A second highlight was a stop at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, which had visitors and afforded excellent views towards Cape Anne and Agamenticus. Places to park along the drive were few and far between. Be aware that traffic moves slowly on this road shared with sightseeing drivers as well as walkers and bicyclists. We enjoyed all that we saw here; we disliked nothing.

The views...the homes...the resorts...so coastal Maine. Don't miss it! Multi million dollar properties of folks that just summer there!

The beauty of the rocks and crashing sea is mesmerizing. There are many scenes like this along the coast but each has their own beauty.

This is one of the best scenic drives we took in the Portland area. You see coastlines with rocks and crashing waves plus lots of beautiful houses.

We stayed at the Colony Hotel on Ocean Avenue which meant the Atlantic Ocean was right outside our door and Ocean Ave was as well. It's a great road to take a walk along the rocky Maine coast, check out the Bush estate at Walker Point and Saint Ann's Church perched at the top of an oceanside bluff. A incredibly scenic road.

The topless beach is wonderful, as was the clothing optional beach. Very refreshing! The sand was super clean and everyone was very friendly. Definately a place to hang out!

It is well worth the drive to see the water, and especially the homes in the area!
Don’t be in a rush...stop at St. Ann’s Church and see Walkers point...then just keep driving!!

Easy drive with spectacular views. Fun to stop at side of road and take breathtaking photos. Flags were flying at George H. W. Bush's home, we had read if the Texas flag was flying he was home.

We had read some reviews about Ocean Drive and decided to drive out, find a parking spot and just walk it. We were glad we decided to walk with the kids as I think it would be pretty hair raising to try and bike it. We found a free place to pull in and the walk was just beautiful. Some rocky areas for the kids to climb about on and gorgeous ocean views. We spent a while looking at Walker point (summer home of President Bush) and just really enjoyed the morning.

we turn around the city of kennebunkport with the trolley. It's a very great experience, also for the kids. My daughter was so funny.

We have done this drive many times and consider it a must in your visit to Kennebunkport. Such a beautiful stretch along the coast with pull offs to take a moment to breathe the fresh air.

Walk or drive but the ocean and shoreline are always awesome. Rude changes and wave motion always entertain and impress.

This area has absolutely stunning views of the water. The Walker/Bush compound is on Ocean Avenue as well as Ocean Restaurant. Great place to take a walk along the ocean.

Don’t stop ascending this Avenue to enjoy the most spectacular views, spy the seaside chapel where many VIPS said I do, and enjoy a morning tun.

Great ocean views, as well as gorgeous houses to see. Nice pull-off area by Walker Point / the Bush family compound. It's a short drive, but a nice quick excursion from Kennebunkport.

Even though we were only in KBP three days, we did this more than once, as it's such a pretty drive. The InTown Trolley also goes this route. It's a beautiful at various times of the day and eve. The trolley points out some additional special places besides St. Anne's and the Bush home at Walker point.

You can get some amazing photos with some patience. Can be windy and cold, so be prepared. Traffic can be busy in summer and fall

The stately homes on or overlooking the ocean on this stretch of scenic highway are some of the best that I have ever seen anywhere. Most are magnificent old Maine style Captain's Houses or mansions with a few contemporary one thrown in. This is definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I loved the drive! Found so many cute shops, good food and LOVED Kennybunkport!! DEFINATLY a place we will return to! Also found an awesome sea glass beach in Kennybunk! I found several nice greens, blues, Amber and clear!!

Well worth going on the Ocean Avenue to see the beautiful ocean, Walker's Point, and St. Ann's Episcopal Church. The views are absolutely gorgeous, and the waves on a windy day are unbelievable. Well worth the short drive. Would definitely recommend.

Just head out of town and go up to Walker's Point. A great walk with the ocean on your right, and impressive estates on your left. Lots of bikers too, though the path (sidewalk) is pretty narrow. On the day of my visit, a woman had a bad fall off her bike and was being attended by
Paramedics.

Take a drive, take a stroll...the ocean, as always, is beautiful...timeless. There are places to park & places to sit.

We drove through Kennebunkport on a grey day and took this road as a short detour. Low tide revealed some less than picturesque seaweed, but also beaches covered in smooth grey rocks. There is minimal parking here and there along the road, but it's worth it to stop more than once as the shoreline constantly changes. There are some sidewalks along the way, but not consistently so. Parts of the shore are accessible via a short number of steps from the road down to the water.

Watched the President Bush (41 and 43) house and had one of the daughters jog past, she said hi! Amazing real estate

There are lots of places along the drive to park-up and take-in the wonderful scenery. It’s also possible to see President Bush Compound along the way.

Wheter walking along he cove an enjoyable experience. where restaurants and hotels are located, or going further for a delightful walk as far as Walkers Point, you will have a delightful esperience,

My wife and I took a walk from Captain Lord Mansion and sat on a bench along Ocean Avenue overlooking the surf and the waves hitting up against the rocks. It was so picturesque and peaceful. I wish everyone takes the time to enjoy such a moment. It was exceptional.

Worth the trip amazing views and great places to stop and get some great pictures. Enjoyed having a nosey at all the amazing houses along the route.

We drove Ocean Avenue but picked the wrong time of day. When it became overcast and windy everyone was leaving the beach so we were bumper to bumper about 25 minutes to get 7 miles. It gave us a chance to see the beautiful views so it wasn't a total loss.

A pleasant way to see how the other half live! There are some very beautiful homes along Ocean Avenue, enjoying great ocean views.

Navigation had a little bit of trouble finding the area. But it was a beautiful ride past the coast and usual houses. Houses had great architecture and landscaping.

October can be misty as we had on our first day but when we got to Kennebunkport we were lucky and had super views. Pleasant drive along the coast.

Drive along Ocean Ave and see the beautiful rocky Maine seacoast. Even better, go for a walk and stop at the many overlooks with benches. Some have access down to the water. Walker's Point is along the way. If the Texas flag is flying, the President is at home.

We drove along Ocean Avenue twice while visiting Maine. All I can say it is better experience it than to read about it.

great road to walk and bike. lots of nice homes and gardens and the ocean views are spectacular. takes you to the Bush compound if you go far enough. not too many places to park so you might want to consider parking closer to the tourist area and then walking down the road. or better yet, bring a bike.

We found this road by mistake looking for a restaurant. We loved it so much we kept driving and ended up finding a different place to eat.

My friend wanted to see the Bush estate so we took a detour to Kennebunkport and Ocean Avenue on our way to Bar Harbor. The view of the ocean was wonderful and the houses, including the Bush estate were interesting. We backtracked once to make sure we took it all in.

See Walkers Point information above. The walk was all on paved sidewalks, but did require crossing the street a couple of times. The views are beautiful.....of the ocean, rocky shore, stately homes and eclectic businesses.

If you are visiting Kennebunkport you must take the drive along Ocean Ave. Gorgeous ocean views and homes. You will also get to see the Bush Compound.

Nice coastal drive or walk from Kennebunkport in comfortable shoes. Great place to view sunrise or sunsets. A bit windy and parking can be tough but a nice stretch of the legs.

We rode our bikes several miles along Ocean Avenue. Hard to not stop every 25 greet and take pictures of the homes and ocean vistas. Love to know who owns all of these mansions!

We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was really good and it was a unique dining experience, but it was quite pricey for the amount of food that we received.

This is the second time we did this drive. I’m quite jealous of these houses perched over the beaches/cliffs. Just amazing…makes you feel like you’re in a movie or a titan of industry. Loved it.

Some very interesting viewpoints of the coast. If all of the parking areas are full, simply turn around and take a chance on others moving away.

From the Nonatum, you can walk along Ocean Avenue for a 5 mile loop. The water and sights are lovely and relaxing and beautiful.

Stayed at relatives home on Ocean Avenue. Wonderful walks into Downtown Kennebunkport and out to the Bush Estate at Walker's Point.

This two-mile (3.2 km) drive was a pure pleasure. Traffic was moderate on a late summer weekend afternoon. The views across the water to Gooch’s Beach and Oaks Neck, with Lord’s Point and Mt Agamenticus beyond, were exceptional. The Bush estate at Walker’s Point was gated and inactive. St Anne’s Episcopal Church was glorious and had wonderful views. Boon Island Lighthouse (133 ft, 40.54 m, built 1855), located 6 miles (9.6 km) offshore, was visible in the distance. Big breakers from Hurricane Dorian crashed onto shore. Turnouts for stopping were few and far between. Some turnouts had benches, often in use. We thoroughly enjoyed this short but scenic shore drive.

Quintessential New England town, quaint with great lobster, what more could one desire! Oh yeah, fun to see the imposing Bush compound.

The drive down Ocean Avenue was incredible. Nature along this route is gorgeous, so many picture perfect scenes in one town. What a fantastic adventure.

We drove Ocean Avenue a couple of times because we didn't want to miss anything. Walkers Point, St Ann Episcopal Stone Church, and the Colony Hotel all make for an opportunity to get some great photographs and a chance to stop along the way to enjoy each location.

We are walkers. During our long weekend in KBP, we walked to town each morning. Instead of going right from the Colony, a left takes you on a lovely one mile walk to the Bush enclave along Ocean Avenue. Picture perfect New England views of the ocean, rocks and houses along the way.

The village was busy so we decided to drive out along Ocean Avenue. October along the sea with a comfortable breeze on a 65 degree day was perfect. We stopped by St. Ann's By-the-Sea and parked at Sandy Cove, joining those wanting to watch the crashing waves, see the monument to George HW Bush "Anchor To Winward" (and a peak at Walker's Point). Such a worthwhile drive.

A short walk from Ocean Avenue is great access to the rugged and rocky, as well as peaceful and serene shorline of Maine at it's finest. The path was frozen mud at the time of our visit, and ice was frozen into the rocks on the paths down to the beach itself, which would make it a little difficult for those with mobility issues. The pathway is about a mile long and easy to stay on, or there are places with (somewhat steep) access to the water itself. The highlight was the view of the lighthouse across the water. I would recommend this for anyone without mobility issues.

It’s always a lovely drive, but this visit we were there September 29-October 4. We couldn’t believe how busy and crowded Kennybunkport was. When we inquired we discovered it was cruise ship passengers who were bussed down from Portland. Completely changed the quiet, layer back feel we’re use it.

Spectacular views, beautiful homes and gardens. Take a leisurely drive and stop to enjoy the scenery.

The drive along Ocean Avenue is not to be missed. The sight of waves caressing the rocky shore with white foam is captivating. A step away from usual tourist haunts. Blessing for nature lovers.

You get transported to another time looking out into the ocean. You can see why so many are drawn to Maine.

This was one of my very favorite drives while on a recent tour of New England. The ocean views are stunning and the houses are magnificent! Well worth the drive just to see it all.

It is pretty much de riguer for visitors to Kennebunkport to drive along Ocean Avenue for a view of the Bush compound on Walker's Point. I strongly encourage others to follow in our footsteps by parking across from the Colony Hotel and walking the 0.9 miles to the overlook for Walker's Point along Parson Way. The sidewalk stroll offers ample opportunity to view the rocky coastline and many beautiful summer homes. A stop at St. Ann's Episcopal Church is a worthwhile diversion. There are several strategically placed benches for you to rest and contemplate living in such a heavenly location.

While on our trip up the coast, this was on my husband's list of must-see areas because you can get a perfect view of President Bush's oceanfront estate. But I will admit that even if we couldn't see his estate, it would have still been worth the drive. The mansions on the ocean are breathtaking. The ocean views are beautiful. There are multiple places where you can pull over on the side of the road - there are even benches so that you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Definitely worth the drive if you're in the area!

We happened to be in Kennebunkport on a rainy day, but still visited Ocean Avenue. It is not very long, but does give some great photo opportunities. We especially liked the views of the Bush home and the spouting rock. I imagine on a nice day it would be a great place to get out of the car and walk. There are places to park for a limited amount of time along the avenue. I also imagine this parking might be hard to find on a nicer day.

Being there in the fall was so nice! The road was quiet and we were able to walk and take our time to see the sceneary.

My husband & I stay at the Colony Hotel twice a year. It's right at the beginning of Ocean Avenue. Every morning we walk up along the ocean to Walkers Point, passing St Ann's Church, beautifully landscaped homes and rocky beaches. The views never get old. They are exhilarating yet calming and serene. Benches along the way allow you to pause and appreciate the beauty of the water, boats and birds.

Had to make the drive. It was at sunset. Lots of houses to see. Not too busy on the road. Pictures aren’t great but super quick to drive through to say you’ve been there.

We weren't sure exactly where we needed to go to see this, but you want to put it in your GPS/Google Maps or whatever you use. "Blowing Cave Park" on Ocean Avenue was phenomonal. Best time to catch is probably when the tide is coming in. There is also Spouting Rock nearby. Lots of nice hotels and mansions along the way.

A nice road with great views of the ocean (hence the name) and of course Walker Point - the summer residence of the Bush's. Worth the drive but if you're there in the summer try to hit it at either sunrise (early) for best views or later in the evening once the daily traffic dies down.

I was very excited to try to sneak a peak at the Bush compound since we are Texas who love the entire Bush family. It was Father's Day, and it looked like the family was visiting. I hated to gawk but I couldn't stop looking, sesrching, snapping pictures, and yes, I quietly said the Pledge of Allegiance, the Pledge to the Texas Flag, and a quiet prayer for President 41's health as well as the whole family.

You see plenty of other beautiful houses and of course, glimpses of the Atlantic. I always seem to make that drive on a gloomy day, which takes away from the beauty of the ocean.

My husband and I traveled on the Tour Trolley all the way from Kennebunkport Center to the ocean. Breathtaking views and gorgeous hotels along the way!

The best way to see the breath-taking views of the sea along Ocean Avenue is to walk if you are able. There is a sidewalk that stretches more than a mile along the coast with areas to sit on benches and relax along the way. There are also a couple small parking areas along Ocean Avenue for those who prefer to drive. The views are so lovely and one may also admire the many beautiful homes along the coast as well.

Ocean Road makes for a nice scenic drive up the coat of Maine. Beautiful views, especially in the morning when the sun is low in the sky. Not much different than most coastal drives, but always a welcomed relaxing moment in time. Travel safe, don’t text and drive.

This is a stunning road with great ocean views and stunning houses. The star of which is the Bush Compound, yes both Presidents have homes you can see.

This is a lovely drive out of town with beautiful homes and many "stop off" points where there are benches for your use to sit and watch the boats and the waves crashing onto the rocks. Very relaxing and beautiful.

If you're in Kennebunkport you must take the time to drive along Ocean Avenue. Beautiful homes and beautiful views, and of course you will be able to view the Bush family home ( from a distance ).

Great drive spectacular views and homes. Take your time driving, there are some homes with outstanding architecture and scenic views worth an extra minute or two to look at. St. Ann’s by the Sea worth walking into. Stone House and Walkers Point are very picturesque. Take it all the way to the Cape Porpoise Pier and Goat Island Light.

What a splendid drive it is. We never miss doing it when in the area of Kennebunkport. Drive slowly so as not to miss a thing.

Ocean Drive starts in Dock Square, Kennebunkport, ME. The views of the coast line are beautiful. President George H W Bush’s Walker’s Point is a nice stop. You cannot go to the house but view it from a pull off parking area. Great restaurants are also on this drive.

I walked from Kennebunkport along Ocean Ave to Walker Point, and then around a loop back to town, stopping at beaches along the way. Beautiful scenery and homes along the route. Unfortunately, beyond Walker Point the safe walking shoulder or sidewalk disappears, so I would turn back or inland from there.

Be aware that this area is very crowded and full of tourists on a summer day, but oh such a lovely place to explore. Parking was difficult - and don't forget that pedestrians always have the right of way!!

A drive along the stunning rocky coastline with beautiful blue water is worth a trip to Kennebunkport, Maine. If you have the time make sure to view this coast from the water's point of view. Camera a must.

Many beautiful mansions, quaint inns, restaurants, shops, and cliffs overlooking the ocean are to be found here.

I highly recommend to walk or jog from Dock Square in Kennebunkport, out to The Walker's Point and then back Dock Square. It is a scenic route of about 4.7 miles (7.6 km). Even though there are some cars there, they drive slowly and it's plenty of space on the side of the road.

We toured Ocean avenue this past weekend. It is so worth the trip. Viewing the homes and the beautiful ocean. Great way to spend your time!

It's not a terribly long drive, but it was fantastic. If you won the lottery, which house would you want to buy/live in. Right along the water - a drive is great, but go park and just walk the area. It's beautiful.

This is a nice scenic drive with views of the Atlantic Ocean. I takes you past the Bush family vacation home which is nice. The main benefit is the ocean views and the many nice homes.

There is on street parking and benches to sit on to take time to appreciate the view, And of course there's Walker's point around the corner.

Don't miss Parson's Way! Lovely walk along the coast. Takes you past the Bush compound on Walker's Island.

Drove on Ocean Ave during winter, but even then it is a must see. Beautiful homes! I always do wonder what the people who own these homes do for a living and why is it that I'm not doing it??

Taking a nice drive along to see the Presidents summer home is very scenic drive.....there is a pull out where you can view the ocean.
The road meanders towards route 9 and through the quaint tourist town of Kennebunkport, plenty of restaurants and gift shops......parking is at a premium.

It's a nice, if short, drive out from town to 45s estate. Better done in a convertible or on a bike. Something to do for a few minutes; not a major destination.

We drove out Ocean Avenue, well past Walker’s Point. Many beautiful homes. Lots of walkers, cyclists, cars and homes to see. Be careful.

You'll see some beautiful houses and nice ocean views. There are a few places to pull over and get a few pictures.

We first drove around Ocean Blvd, and once I saw there were adequate sidewalks, it made for a beautiful run on a Saturday morning. Def worth seeing the beautiful houses and landscapes along the way.

The views of the ocean, the Bush compound at Walker's Point, and the historic mansions, 'cottages', resorts and inns are wonderful, but the road itself is winding and narrow, with very few places to pull over. In season, it can be a nightmare because cars are bumper-to-bumper with tourists. I've driven this road numerous times but loved it this last time because it's March and no one's around.

We followed the road which revealed a nice drive. It's worth stopping at a few places for the views.

If this drive doesn't awaken your sense, well perhaps you need a LONG vacation. Very historic, of course, and another NE wonderful spot.

Take time to stop by and see the ocean on the rocks. It's fun and doesn't take but about an hour. There are just a few stops so parking can be tough, you have to get lucky.

Do not visit Kennebunkport without taking --ideally-- a bike ride or walk (or at least a drive) along Ocean Ave to Walkers Point. The sweeping views, the beautiful gardens at the homes along the route and St Ann's Church are all highlights of the trip to this picturesque town.

We drove ocean avenue on a rainy day. It was a nice drive, with great views of the ocean. The mansions along the coast are incredible! There are quite a few parking spots where you can stop and take pictures or take a short walk.

It was a beautiful drive. We drove down to see the Bush Compound. It was really neat to see. Found out after our return that the Bush grand daughter had gotten married the day before.

Drove from the little shops area of Kennybunkport down ocean drive to get a glimpse of the Bush compound and got some great views of huge homes, rocky shoreline and ocean horizon.

We parked just off the road with the Colony Hotel on our left. Walked to the views of Walker's Point, stopping to look at St. Ann's Church on the way. This is a beautiful walk with shoreline views to the right and amazing homes to the left (and sometimes to the right as well).

Even in the chilly bluster of fall, we look forward to walking along this magnificient edge of the United States. It is wild and majestic. It is rocky and soothing,. I recommend it. Oh, and just around the corner is a wonderful of the Bush compound jetting out into the bay from the road.

We saw this drive was listed in the top 3 of the must-sees in Kennebunkport. We were staying at Sandy Pines Campground so the drive to get to Ocean Avenue was quick. We went on a sunny day and there are several places to stop, get out of the car, and take pictures. Simply breathtaking. Don't miss this if you're in the Kennebunkport area.

What a beautiful walk. We were able to be on sidewalks the entire stretch. Overall we walked from the downtown area to where you can see the Bush compound. There are plenty of benches along the way to stop and rest or enjoy the view. We also found several spots to climb down the rocks to get closer to the water. It was a great way to enjoy the beaches and the ocean views.

If you are able, take this route by bicycle! Just lovely and breath ta-kingly beautiful! And you also get to see the Bush compound!

You must take a walk or drive on ocean avenue, when you arrive in Kennebunkport. This is the "Downeast" you always here about. Beautiful homes Bed and breakfasts, and historic inns and shops line the street on one side...the beautiful seaside and ocean line the other. The highlight is seeing the home of President George and Barbara Bushes summer home on Walkers point. Its a lovely walk on a nice day.

While visiting Maine in October, the Drive on Ocean Avenue was a must to see. The beauty of the ocean against the shoreline gives breathtaking views. There are a couple of stopping points that have parking spaces. We had to double back a couple of times because all the spaces were full. It's a popular drive.

One of the stopping points is adjacent to President Bush's estate. It is a beautiful site to see on the peninsula jetting out into the ocean.

Enjoyed the views of the coastline, the beautiful homes, the beautiful foliage, and the crisp fall air.

Ocean Avenue follows the coast from the middle of the charming village of Kennebunkport, past President Bush's home and north toward Cape Porpoise. The views are exactly what you want to see in Maine - ocean waves crashing on the beach and beautiful scenery.

This past summer my wife and I were treated to a coastal drive along Ocean Avenue. Our Maine friends took us on a afternoon drive along this beautiful vista. The homes and the coastline are magnificent. This is a great way to experience this beautiful coastal seascape.

What a great place to drive too and enjoy the breathtaking views. Gorgeous houses off the coast with amazing view. I would even recommend walking the area or even biking the coast. The experience was great because it’s peaceful and stunning area to come and visit. There are even some quaint small Hotels in this area to stay at too. Overall loved my experience.

This is great for a ride on your bike. I would suggest riding at high tide to see the inlets, ponds and rivers full. We were there in early June so not many cars on the road.

Had perfect weather over the Memorial Day weekend and just drove all over the place. We were staying at a hotel on Ocean Ave so we got to drive Ocean Ave several times a day.

This is a lovely area to travel around and appreciate the great views of the water. Several small beaches and pretty towns to explore along with lovely houses. Would be lovely for sailors as well.

Maine's rugged coast is very picturesque, and is used on calendars of the US. Former President George Bush Sr., and his family have a summer compound here.

Traveling on the Interstate would be such a shame if you have to go anywhere near this area. This is a beautiful drive and I highly recommend if you're not in a hurry, take this route. May little places to stop along the way and everyone is so nice.

We made the entire way around Ocean Avenue stopping at every stop and marveling at the views! Each one seemed better than the last. The beauty of it was almost heart aching! This will definitely be a highlight memory of our Maine trip!

An easy and pleasant drive that passes the Bush Compound and presents some spectacular views of the Atlantic shore. Rocky views, some pull in spots to enjoy the views and spectacular homes on the ocean. Take this relaxing drive. You will be amazed.

The ocean view is spectacular. This is just what you expect Maine to look like. This drive is easy to access and though slower than the highway it is well worth it.

We were on a tour bus out of Boston. Beautiful drive which was well worth the time out of Boston to see.

We went out here looking for GHW Bush's place but just the drive and seeing the ocean views and the amazing houses make this a have to do if you are in the area.

We dined here in April 2017 to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We returned in October with another couple. First, the service was excellent. Our waitress, Grace, was able to suggest menu specials and explain in detail items on the menu. This was very important because two of us have food allergies. My husband and I started with Field Green salad. There was more than enough to share with the other couple. Our entrees arrived. Presentation was excellent, potion size was more than adequate. The views from this restaurant are awesome. We were there for sunset and watched as the sky turned to beautiful colors. We could see Walker’s Point, President Bush’s summer home. I will definitely return to this gem of a restaurant.

You get to see the blow hole across for the Bush family compound. Beautiful views all along the drive leading into Kennebunkport.

This drive is one of my favorites... in fact, I have driven it about 100 times or more. We go each year and area always happy to be there any season. You will see such beautiful ocean views. Bring your camera.

This is a great place to take a walk and to stop, take in the scenery and a photo or two. If you drive this, it is easy to do during the off season but if you drive this on a sunny summer day, expect it to be busy and difficult to find quiet places to pull over.

Drive slow and do not be in a rush. Drive out in one direction and then come back. The reason is if you only look at the ocean views you will miss the beautiful homes and inns on the opposite side.

On a day trip from Boston and Kennebunkport made a perfect end Point for a coastal drive. Ocean Avenue out of Kennebunkport is a great scenic route to take in ocean vistas and magnificent homes.

We walked from the Nonentum Resort all the way to the George Bush Snr. Residence. The views are stunning, large mansions overlooking the ocean and of course the ocean view. There are places to sit along the way to enjoy this lovely walk.

We started our visit in Kennebunkport with a drive on Ocean Avenue. It was a really nice drive, not too long but lots of beautiful scenery. There are many places to stop and it was easy for us during a Nov trip. I could see that at peak time it may be difficult to find a place to park at these little stops. We were able to the Busch Compound, Blowing cave, Spouting rock and just some fantastic marsh views.

Lovely day. Beautiful walk. Gorgeous homes along Ocean Avenue. The only bad part was the local horse carriage company. There were 6 adults in the carriage. The poor horse had to pull all of them up hills plus the weight of the carriage. Completely INHUMANE - the horse was moving slower than us as pedestrians. There should be a limit to how many people can be in the carriage.

No one should visit Kennebunkport without driving Ocean Avenue a couple of times. There are so many stunning vistas to enjoy, including the ocean hitting the rock formations along the coast and the old, well-maintained mansions and inns. This is a must-see!

It’s great to smell the salt air from the ocean. It doesn’t hurt if you get some nice homes thrown in. It also helps if there are places to stop and park so you can walk along the beach.

Seaweed tends to cover a lot of the rocks along this way. There are some but not too many places to stop and park. It’s still worth doing (at least once anyway). You can walk a bit along Colony Beach. Are there better beaches along the Maine coast? Yes.

there is a sidewalk that crosses back and forth. Watch out though, there are plenty of curves and traffic. Walk up far enough and you will get to the Bush compound. (you can tell by the crowds) Everyone and all the locals have their favorite story of the Bush family. they are well loved in the area.

Fun drive, just keep your eyes on the road. Plenty to gawk at between the ocean and residences. Be on the lookout for seals.

My friend and I spent 5 days in Kennebunkport and walked Ocean Avenue every day for a few hours. The views are incredible, from the crashing waves on the rocks to the beautiful homes that line along Ocean Ave all the way down to the Bush compound. Easy walking and good wide sidewalks and just a wonderful way to start our day!

Gorgeous walk...amazing views and homes to look at while you walk. It is about a mile each way from the Breakwater/Striper to the anchor across from the Bush compound.

I walked Ocean Avenue from Pearl Street to Walkers Point one brisk morning in November. The sites were amazing. Nearing the Atlantic, the street is a gauntlet of New England architecture, marinas with nautical themed buildings and water sloshing as it breaks against the rocks of the shore and the timbers rising from the depths supporting the docks. Inns and hotels giving Oklahoma aliens like me the chance to experience, albeit briefly, the beauty of Maine and a tourist town in mid-blink of population, are abundant and luxurious along the avenue.

The walk eventually escorted me to the great Atlantic itself, that majestic, enticing body of dreams and promise undulating under a sky of drifting grey. Listening to the thunder of it slamming mindlessly into the craggy rocks of the bluffs reminds me that, as is often the case, something that beautiful and that worthy of so many songs and stories and adventures can have a dangerous and deadly yin to its yang.

Approaching Walkers Point the waves grew louder. There are diversion trails leading off the avenue, a few of which I explored. But being alone, I knew the ocean wasn’t the only thing that held danger. A few of the side paths led to boulders and jutting rock slick with ocean spray and morning dew. Beware the depths you can fall when exploring alone.

Reaching Walkers Point gave me the chance to snap some shots of the huge compound up close. It also gave me a good place to turn back to our Inn and grab another stunning breakfast.

My only beef with the experience was that the sidewalk lost consistency one it reached the Atlantic. Around the curve you need to cross the street to stay on a path and then cross back to be on the ocean side of the road. This could be dangerous during peak season.

In short, bring your camera for this picturesque avenue cutting through this beautiful New England town and edging the shoreline of its namesake.

Definitely take a ride on Ocean Avenue. It's very scenic, There is a trolley tour that goes along here as well as a scenic cruise that lets you see this from the comfort of a boat. Several spots to stop and take pictures.

I lived in Annapolis Md for a few years, and one of my favorite streets was along a coastal river that led to our Chesapeake Bay. This was even more magnificent. The houses and the shoreline, and just the amazing beauty that has been preserved here was fantastic to see...(on our trolley tour with Fred). Thank you!

Ocean Avenue stretches along the coast for miles and offers splendid views of the rocky coast, the Bush family compound, and a series of beautiful seaside homes. Parking is easy at various points along the way. We just visited off-season, and though the winds were brisk and chilly, the experience of sitting by the ocean is tranquil and relaxing. I recommend it as a tonic for our troubled world.

About a mile north of the Bush compound is a splendid little beach with waves crashing on the jagged rocks. At low tide, it's particularly beautiful.

This was such a beautiful drive! A few places to stop along the 2-mile (ish) drive to get out and climb on the rocks and take pictures. Highly recommend.

Driving along Ocean Avenue from busy Dock Square brings one past many scenic spots, beaches, landmarks, marinas, motels, resorts, restaurants, and parks as well as some luxurious mansions and dramatic views of rugged cliffs that illustrate the phrase The Rocky Coast of Maine.

Some of my favorites from many drives over the years include the Schooner Eleanor, Arundel Wharf Restaurant, the Village Green with its stops on the Shade Tree Tour, the River Green’s Ganny’s Garden memorial to Barbara Bush, Mabel’s Lobster Claw, Colony Beach, Arundel Beach, Cape Arundel, Blowing Cave, nearby Bush Family Compound at Walker’s Point and Sandy Cove, and the "Anchor to Windward" sculpture dedicated to George H.W. Bush, and the beginning of Parson’s Way. It ends nearby and becomes Shore Road.

It also passes St. Ann's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church where the grounds are rarely open to the public and are guarded by a very unpleasant caretaker.

On my most-recent visit, I revisited Arundel Beach, Ganny’s Garden, Blowing Cave, Bush Family Compound at Walker’s Point, and the "Anchor to Windward" sculpture. I also did part of the Parsons Way Trail.

At the benches near the parking area to view Bush Family Compound, I met two visitors --- one fairly local and another from Pittsburgh. I had nice chats with both.

And, it was one of those sunny, warm early fall days in the high 60’s, so even the weather was perfect.

I always enjoy this drive. Even after 20+ years of taking this drive, it never gets old.

I rate Ocean Avenue at 5.0 and highly recommend taking the drive and making several stops along the way.

Short but beautiful, this is a truly iconic coastal Maine drive. Beaches, cliffs, ocean waves, seaside mansions, harbors filled with sail boats, and old churches, this is Maine at its finest!

While visiting Kennebunkport Maine in early June, we were attracted to the low tide of the ocean along the beach area. We enjoyed the beauty and sights without the crowds. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves for exploring. The sound of the waves and wind were powerful and relaxing.

We drove up Ocean drive everyday during our stay. Other than the large expensive homes there is the St Ann's episcopal church and property ( a must see) and the Bush compound.

This drive was definitely a highlight of our trip to Maine, with its’ gorgeous shoreline, stalely colonial homes and laid back atmosphere. Beautiful!

A ride or walk along this avenue is well worth your time! Parking for scenic views of ocean and to take pics are abundant! Shops, restaurants and beautiful historic Inns, hotels and homes!

Historic grand cottages from the 1890s, great sea views, recreated stone church from the 1200s in England, and you can take your time enjoying the walk.

Took a drive along Ocean Avenue today and followed it around teh coast and past Walker Island. Some nice places to pull over and take pictures along the way. A few places with benches also available to enjoy the view.

Just a lovely place to drive along the coast. There are a few places to stop and just watch the ocean. We took pictures of Walker Point. Ocean Rd runs right into the main street. Just park and walk around. Lots of shops and restaurants, and everything is so pretty.

Have been to Kennebunkport a few times. My wife and I never get tired of the views of the ocean from Ocean drive. there are paved walkways easy for pedestrians with benches along the way to stop and enjoy the scenery. if you into architecture there are many beautiful homes too. we stayed at the Nonantum and walked from there to the Bush's compound.

Marvel at the Atlantic Ocean as it lives and breaths with crashing waves on the rocky Maine Coastline, sea mist and calmer lapping water. You never know what type of weather will greet you, so take a ride and enjoy the view and the water!

After leaving dock square, you drive along the Kennebunk River and view the boats and restaurants along the way. The Colony Hotel is a grand hotel on your left as you reach the ocean. Great for cocktails on the veranda in the summer. On the right across from the Colony is a small parking lot and a small beach. No parking restrictions here. You can park and then either walk the beach or walk out on the breakwater. Driving further you can see the grand houses along the water. One of our favorites is a house on the rocks right on the water. Looks like a scary place to be during a ocean storm! On the left further out is the Cape Arundel Inn - excellent dining and the best view of the ocean in Kennebunkport. It is right across from Walker's Point - the Maine home of President Bush and his family. Enjoy!!

May beautiful homes and views on this picturesque road. Ride bikes, walk or by car and you will love the scenery.

The drive does not take long, but the stops along the way could very easily extend the time. You must stop at St. Ann's Church, it is a beautiful church on the ocean. A great place to stop, relax, enjoy the view and let go of your troubles. Along the drive you will also see the Walker Compound, the vacation of home President Bush. As I said this drive can be as long as you want to make it. And it easy to find your back to Kennebunkport.

Staff & food excellent. Presentation excellent. When you order your food it arrives hot. They also do a good job of checking on you to make sure you get refills. Views to the ocean out front are fabulous!

Just so beautiful to ride/walk on Ocean Avenue. As a photographer, I was in my glory. The ocean is so beautiful, especially the sunsets. Walker's Point is historic and St. Ann's Episcopal Church is gorgeous. If you have the opportunity to attend Sunday mass during the warm weather, please do. Being so close to the ocean is like being so close to heaven.

By far one of my favorite picturesque places in the US. I could spend all day walking around with a camera taking in the scenery. There are tons of restaurants and shops and hotels and boating places. Next time I’m renting a bike and getting lost with my camera for a week. Gorgeous!

The drive along Ocean Drive is worth doing for sure. You will see lots of traditional old houses as well as a number of newer ones under construction. You will also pass an old Episcopal church, which merits stopping at for a look. We did the drive in both directions to get the best of both.

Although it is difficult to park it is worth finding a spot to walk along this beautiful spot with clear blue water crashing on the gorgeous rocks is so delightful.

Beautiful homes on one side of the road and the mighty Atlantic Ocean on the other side with the Bush compound and charming St Ann’s church thrown in for good measure.

So pretty. Words can hardly describe it. The color is magnificent. The waves rushing and crashing around the rocks makes a beautiful scene. I have seen this many times.

Ocean Avenue is great. The best views in all of Maine. Many stops along the way with benches to perch on and just chill. There is an ocean walk you can do in nearby Kennebunkport that is a must see, ask the locals. Fresh lobsters available everywhere, lots of gift shops, parking can be a little bit of a challenge especially with larger vehicles but worth it.

Great drive right by the ocean, gives you a great opportunity to see some of the great mansions (including the Bush's house). If you are in the area, this is a must do.

This is a nice scenic drive for anytime of the year. More off-season you go, the more leisurely you can be. Beautiful views abound with activities along the way, such as beaches an shopping. There are opportunities to stop an relax on benches while taking in the ocean views.

Ignore the mega mansions and focus on the beautiful ocean views. My husband and I think that there should be some kind of ordinance that works towards preventing the oversized homes that truly look empty.

I came here to enjoy the coastal view while drinking coffee and eating my takeout meal. Very relaxing. There were other people taking in the scenery too.

Just follow the masses out of town along Ocean ave to a nice, scenic casual drive along the coast. Of course stop at walker point and see the Bush compound ,see how the other half lives.

There are some beautiful homes, resorts and the views of the ocean are spectacular. A very pleasant drive.

Just follow the road past some beautiful inns and b&bs, past the Bushes and along a picturesque shore. The road will bring you back to town after only about 20 minutes. Very nice also on bike.

The views of the ocean and the beach houses were breathtaking. There were some parking spots along the way to enjoy the views and to walk some.

We visited on Monday, July 3, 2017. It was a bright sunny day.

There are a few areas to pull over and park to sit and look at the coast line and to take pictures. We were directed to St. Ann's church to look at the Bush compound - wrong! The church is very pretty, but you cannot see Walker's Point from this vantage point.

What a wonderful marriage of rugged ocean views, sea spray and (gulp) real-estate. There are adequate pull offs for gawkers and dwadlers.

The walk down Ocean Avenue is a great way to see the coastline by foot. You are walking on a sidewalk with traffic behind you, so that needs to be taken into consideration. There are a few benches along the walkway where you can sit and take in the view.

We have loved this walk for years. It's about 2.4 miles from dock square to walkers point, the Bush Estate, with numerous beautiful homes marinas and view points along the way. Give yourself about 2-3 hours to make the round trip walking. It's very easy with really no elevation change. The marina is a cool point to stop and look at all the yachts, they won't let you in to even use a restroom but those vessels are amazing. All the older homes are absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship and design really leave you in awe. There are quite a few new home along the way now but you can really tell that they are new as the are designed in the same fashion as the older homes. This is our favorite thing to do in town, don't miss it.

We take this drive when ever we are in the area. Always beautiful to see the ocean. We love to stop to see if George and Barbara are out and about. We knew they were in Maine but no sightings this time, we have seen them in the past. Worth the time for sure.

I truly enjoyed my morning walk down Ocean Ave. The ocean views were spectacular. I was a little chilly but well worth it. Also got to see some amazing homes.

My wife and I stopped here to take in some scenery and boy, did we see some! What a beautiful place to stroll or pass by in a car. We went in October so we were able to see some vivid colors of the foliage as we viewed the ocean and boulders. A must see...

We drove out to see the beautiful Maine coast and happened to spot the Bush Compound on the way. We were looking for a park, but apparently missed it along the way. Still glad we drove out this direction!

My wife and I were looking to kill some time before dinner and stumbled across Ocean Avenue. It was simply a pleasant experience and a must do in Kennebunkport!

Walked from Nonantum to Walker Point Aling Ocean Avenue every day on trip. Great views and sights...benches to sit and enjoy view. Took boys a couple times and they played in coves along ocean

The views were very nice. Both at the ocean side and the large houses on the other side of the road.
Parking was possible in a number of places along the road.

Lots of beautiful views to see. The Maine coast never disappoints. The classic Maine rocky coast views were anticipated, but we were surprised by the amazing homes that populate the coast line. Wow. Stunning.

We drove this inadvertently while looking for the Bush property and Saint Anne’s Church. It was a beautiful drive with lovely scenery like the nice homes and the ocean. Wasn’t too busy in early May.

We had so much more fun in Kennebunkport then we thought we would. We met people from all over the country everyone interested in enjoying the beautiful location and dining at the terrific restaurants. My girlfriend and I had so much fun shopping and we really enjoyed our long walk out to the Bush compound.

Breathtaking views, quaint and lovely town. I hated to leave. Everyone was so friendly. The Bush Estate was absolutely surreal!!! Will visit again.

Plenty of opportunities to take pictures along this wonderful drive. Plenty of places to stay and eat also since you are so close to the Maine St. One really needs to do this if you are in the area.

We walked about six miles on Ocean Avenue. Parts of it are absolutely stunningly beautiful. Rocky coast overlooking dramatic ocean views. This walk was one of my favorite parts of our trip. The rich are certainly present on this walk in the form of their mostly empty mansions, but the beautiful coast is also there in a fairly unspoiled way to soak up. Wear good walking shoes. We walked from Kennebunkport to Cape Porpoise. Ended our walk with a cold beer and lobster roll on the deck of the Chowder House at Cape Porpoise. We were staying at Nonantum Resort so we were able to call for their shuttle to pick us up and take us back. Would definitely recommend this walk!

Took a drive down this road this afternoon. The homes are amazing and the views out towards the ocean are not to be missed!

Not much more that I can add that's not already been said about this drive except that you won't be disappointed, the scenery and views are fantastic.

We rented bicycles and went along Ocean Avenue. Very nice ride for about an hour. Be sure to stop at St. Anne's church...beautiful!

We just can't get enough of the Maine coast and these views are wonderful. Ride a bike, motorcycle or just cruise in your car!!

This is a beautiful drive! We really were fortunate to have a sunny (but cool) day to enjoy it. There are some fabulous homes to see along the water, too.

We started our walk at Walkers Point by the Bush compound. The walk hugs the beautiful shoreline, leading to StAnn's church which is definitely worth a stop. Into town on well paved sidewalk, beautiful homes along the way. Lucky people!

Ocean Ave is splendid...The homes, water and scenery is magnificent. I loved being there at sunset...the rocks and water is so peaceful....What a view.

Note that this splits in two, take the drive that starts at the northern end of the town and travel past lobster fishermen boats, lovely restaurants and little stores, beautiful grand homes...

Ocean Avenue is a street directly of Main St Kennebunkport the dive along takes you past beautiful hotel and private homes past St Ann's Church and around a bend in the road comes into view Walker's Point the summer home of President George H W and Barbara Bush

Beautiful beyond compare this road next to the sea. The whole of this area is truly breathtaking. We found a lovely harbour bar to have a drink and take in the views in Kennebunkport.

Such a beautiful road. I didn’t know whether to look at the ocean or the fantastic homes. It’s a slow drive but worth it.
