Love this beach the best of all the beaches we have visited. I love the way their beach doesn't drop off quickly when going into the water. Clean and family friendly.

This may be the cleanest boardwalk in America. No alcohol sold in Ocean City (just an FYI for those looking to drink).

This was our first time in ocean city and we loved it. The boardwalk is well maintained and the beach is beautiful! They don't allow drinking, smoking of any kind or pets, so if you need any of those things, stay away, but we are not so it was Awesome!!! I didn't even hear anyone swear for the whole week.

We enjoyed our time. However, we went in the off season, so most places didn’t open until about 3pm. We still had a great time.

I came here with two toddlers and there is plenty to do with family and friends. You can spend hours walking on the boardwalk or laying on the beach. The beach is clean and well kept and the boardwalk looks new with a lot of venues. But me personally the trip was exhausting because my kids are under three and they want to run everywhere including into the ocean. It is very clean my only problem is that they don’t allow smoking or vaping on the boardwalk. I can understand smoking but vaping really doesn’t hurt anyone. The prices are reasonable for a tourist spot and I love that it is a dry city no alcohol is sold in the city or on the board walk so less chance of drunk people or drunk drivers being around families. Police are everywhere you look keeping the place safe which is nice.

Better beach than Wilwood (nearer from Boardwalk also). Boardwalk is nice. The negative point is about not allowing dog during summer time. We most say that we cheat but this rule is quite too much. Many other cities are more pet friendly. That 's the point !

My key reason for going to New Jersey was to go to the beach and Ocean City did not disappoint! There were allot of people enjoying the boardwalk and the beach. It was interesting to see they had lanes painted on the boardwalk for walkers (each way), runners, and bike riders. As long as you stayed in your lane you would be safe. There are your typical restaurants, souvenirs and the like. Though I did find items to buy, bath bombs, clothes and such that benefited charities and cute frames. It was a beautiful day and no matter why you’re at the boardwalk you’ll be glad you did.

I'm not someone who enjoys baking on the beach during the day. For me the best part of the shore is early morning walks on the beach and evenings on the boardwalk. All the shops and restaurants, games and lights make this vacation the high point of the summer.

We went to the boardwalk at Atlantic City and Wildwood and this was my favorite boardwalk of the three. The stores had a better selection and didn't offer tacky tourist gifts. The boardwalk was clean and a close walk to the ocean.

Ocean City boardwalk is the epitome of a boardwalk at the shore! Family oriented, you will find amusement parks, a water park, miniature golf, Escape Rooms, and lots of pizza, fries, ice cream and other delicious foods galore. The shops are pletntiful and reasonable. There are many theme nights and free entertainment besides the Music Pier where you can buy tickets for varied performances. People watching is free and quite entertaining.

It is nice exercise to walk the Boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. It is nice in the winter months as there is no crowds like the summer and a lot of the businesses are open year round.
I was able to visit two pizzerias for lunch and dinner on opposite sides of the Boardwalk, stop for caramel corn and still walk on the beach on a sunny winter day where the temperatures were at 50 degrees.
There still is a lot to do there and it is nice to just soak in the sunshine and enjoy the day here.

Although the Boardwalk is long and well laid out, don't go before memorial day unless you want peace and quiet. We went in May and most places on the Boardwalk were closed. Very few people and VERY WINDY and chilly. We had to buy a sweatshirt or freeze.

Loved it here..my first visit. Will definitely come back next year. Loved the boardwalk..so many things to do especially for young children.

Ocean City is just a great place to walk, visit and shop. Even though it's November, there were still plenty of shop and restaurants open.

Great boardwalk. Lots of food and activities for kids. Probably the most family friendly boardwalk in New Jersey.

Great time on Ocean City Beach. Good shopping and many places to choose from to eat. Bike rentals available.

Fun activities, good food, easy access to the beach. One of the better NJ boardwalks for sure. Good for fun without drinking. Family friendly, but not family-only.

This was our first visit to Ocean City. We lucked out with the weather. Sunny and 70. We were amused by the boardwalk. OC being a dry town brought some doubts. I mean, who wouldn't want to enjoy a drink or two while people watching on the boardwalk? Anyways, we strolled from one end to the other browsing the shops, which again, we were lucky to have found open in October. Just as every other tourist spot, all of the shops offered the same kind of swag. Not really our thing. Would I return again? Maybe not,, since I've already experienced it.

We loved this boardwalk, beautiful views lots of little shops and a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back one day and spend more time here and enjoy everything it has to offer!!!!

Kids want to buy junk, eat junk, ride the rides. It’s a money pit. We do it anyway because it’s tradition.

The boardwalk is clean, safe, lots of options for shopping and good eats. Very family friendly. Well lit, people obey bike lanes and pedestrian lanes. Comfortable morning, noon & night.

The Boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ is one of the nicest boardwalks at the Jersey shore. It has a nice selection of amusements, the restaurants and stands are varied and there are many places to get a snack.
I love going to Johnson's Popcorn and Marco and Marco for pizza and love walking through some of the shops. The breezes are so nice and on a beautiful day it is nice to just look at the beach and enjoy the sun.
It does have some great views.

Great place for bird photography along the upper and lower part part of the Visitor's Center, especially during May. Plenty of white egrets, and other shore birds.

So happy to report that this summer the boards were back to their former glory. I felt safe and we had an enjoyable time. I still sneed weed constantly, but not as bad as my previous visit last year. I was told from an employer one of the boardwalk stores, that it is better fir families in July and august. Too much violence and problems during senior week, which somehow has become the entire month of June.

We love coming to Ocean City every year and the highlight for the kids ever since they were young is the boardwalk. Each kid has their "go to" place...whether it be Cruchkin (bubble tea), Manco & Manco (pizza), Shrivers (salt water taffy), Johnson's (caramel corn), Jilly's (arcade), or countless more! In season we always go to the boardwalk every night, but in Sept/October, you have to take advantage of Friday or Saturday nights when everything is open. Our family also bikes the boardwalk each morning. Places start to open around 10 AM, unless they specifically cater to breakfast. We love Oves for fresh donuts, but they are only open in season. Brown's, a little further towards the end of the boardwalk, is still open weekends in Sept./October.

In May, the Boardwalk is uncrowded. Even though many of the stores and entertainment venues aren't open, the lack of crowds makes the boardwalk a very relaxing place to be.

The boardwalk is a perfect place for walking and cycling. There’s beach access at every block and public restrooms. Everything you need is there. If you forgot sunscreen, need snacks, drinks, etc., it’s all there. We even found a place that has gluten free options so I didn’t have to drive around town. It’s all carry out right now due to COVID19 restrictions and you need a mask to enter any shops or game places.

We visited off season, the first week in October. Perhaps a great time to go. No crowds. Remarkable. Clean. Better than expected.

Plenty of stores to shop, restaurants and fast food to delite everyone. Fun games and rides for the children.

This is a classic NJ boardwalk with street food and tourist shops. The place was pretty calm and just right for families. This is a nice alternative to AC.

Not our first visit to OCNJ. Was the coldest, wettest Memorial Day weekend, but we made the best of it. Rain ponchos and umbrellas in hand we still had a fun day in the arcade and shopping.

The view is amazing. The stores are nice. There are lots of events on the OCNJ website for families. There are 2 amusements parks with rides, plus arcades. They have clothing stores, toy stores to jewelry stores. And of course lots of food options and restaurants... pizza, ice cream, water ice, popcorn, funnel cake, etc.

We are from Boynton Beach Florida and have our own beaches that are amazing and free to access other then parking but our visit was on the 4th of July and really enjoyed the fireworks on the beach off the boardwalk but the next day we went to use the beach and they wanted $5 a head to go on the beach. Parking is expensive and its a real peak season so coming and and leaving the shore is very stop and go so patience is a must. The plus side is a wide boardwalk with great pizza at Manco Manco and delicious gelato and your typical tourist beach gift shops. Very family friendly and well kept so if you want to brave the crowd and pay to use the beach be prepared to pay a premium.

We have been to the Ocean City Boardwalk from the 1960's to the 2020's. The boardwalk is always a great family place, with plenty to do in the summer, spring, and fall. The winter has most stores closed, but a handful of the year-round stores are open, and the boardwalk is always a great place to walk or ride your bike.

We have been going here for over 40 years. Lately it has been going downhill a bit. It's still very clean and safe but the shops are now mostly tacky tee shirt and souvenir places. A ton of long time Boardwalk stores have disappeared over the last few years. I was surprised by the number of empty storefronts I saw this year. Since the kids are grown and there is no demands for More Rides, we usually just play some mini-golf, get Manco and Manco's pizza for dinner, I get my Shriver's Salt Water Taffy, Johnson's caramel corn and George's macaroons, I cruise the shops and try to talk my husband into playing skee-ball (he's horrible at it and I'm not so mostly he won't) We make one trip to the Boardwalk whenever we are down the shore.

Although everything or most everything was closed on the off season I very much enjoyed waking this very wide safe feeling boardwalk with so many interesting places that would be there when not off season. Makes me want to come back

Family flew in from Las Vegas / philly / Boston & Texas
Stayed at beautiful home near family on the Bay Area
Clean Adult action close if you want a night out of OC too

The boardwalk is great for families. There are lots of shops and restaurants. There were no shortage of pizza shops & miniature golf places.

We generally get down to OCNJ just before the season really kicks off (memorial day). It's a nice time of year because generally speaking everything is open on the Boardwalk but it's not that crowded (compared to mid summer).
The really nice things about OCNJ boardwalk is there aren't any drunks passed out, people asking you for money etc. It's a dry town so that element generally doesn't bother even coming into town.

We had such a good time at the beach and boardwalk. We stay for a few days and walked the boardwalk, rode bikes and sat on the beach. Very relaxing and very family friendly.

Fun place to visit...very clean and people were social distancing and wearing masks. Love to shop at Jilly's , they were very helpful and kind.

Nice beach community, neighborhoods and boardwalk. Clean family atmosphere. Good food and close to other beach communities such as Cape May, NJ.

Been going to this boardwalk since being a middle schooler, close to 50 years
There is no other boardwalk in my opinion.
When I hear or think boardwalk my mind and memories go to OCNJ!
Great food, great shops and awesome amusements.
Clean and wholesome fun!
Great family atmosphere!

Very nice! Very peaceful! 1st time here! We will definitely come back in the future! Love the atmosphere and scenery!

I visited the boardwalk on a nice HOT Sunday afternoon. There are these flies that kept attacking me, no matter where I went. They literally HURT. I had to leave the boardwalk. The city should probably spray pesticides when it gets that bad so people can have less chance of being bitten.
For the 200 feet I was able to visit-the boardwalk was fun. It was kept very clean. I would suggest confirming if the flies are in season before visiting.

My husband and I married in late July but went to Ocean City in June and that was the first time there for us both. We loved every moment and brought us even closer together...like we fell in love even more. The whole atmosphere, the scenery, the musician on the boardwalk....everything was perfect and we went 2 Saturdays in a row and going back this Saturday coming up...ready for more games, go cart driving, etc. My 18 yr old days he’s coming with us this time. 😊 Oh, and the food at different venues are good too.

There is just something magical about the boardwalk with the rolling waves, seagulls screeching, tinny sounds of the arcades and announcements, the smell of pizza and french fries. This is the place of my husband's best boyhood memories and our children's memories, and fortunately, although the boards may be new, and some shops come and go, the experience stays the same. Families keep coming back for good reason. Rent a surrey or bikes in the morning and cruise along the boards. We have not decided which fudge is best, so we will keep trying:) Best custard: Kohr's twist. Best taffy: Shriver's. Best pizza: Mancos. This is our favorite junk food on earth! Don't ever change, OCNJ.

A great boardwalk! Not at all crowded, with wide boardwalk and marked, separate lanes for pedestrians, bicyclists, and surreys. Not all trashy, either. Need a bathroom? Municipal bathroom near Wonderland is better than the bathrooms by the music venue.

There is something wonderful about the boardwalk. The mix of the sights, sounds, and smells makes everything better! It is the ultimate summer place.

Very nice boardwalk, nice shops, and clean. Daytime on the boardwalk is much better than the evenings as its far less crowded. In the evenings, people on the boardwalk as less respectful. Walking the boards in the daytime you'll find that the people are more courteous.

Didn’t feel safe on the boardwalk in the evenings. Too crowded and too few wearing masks. City should make wearing masks mandatory at night

We love this place so much fun we meet Rick Williams form 6 abc anchorman that was amazing to meet hem .

We walked the hot boardwalk to see the shore, shops and eateries. Lunch was delicious at Quincy's where we had lobster rolls for lunch, followed by Kohl Bros. Ice cream cones to cool off. Parking was near the boardwalk at a condo parking lot for $25 per car for the day.

The wood, oceanfront board walk is long and wide! Several piers good for fishing are also here.
Games of chance, rides and Food Vendors line 14 ocean front blocks along the boardwalk. Then it gets a little less wide and quieter as it passes by motels and residential areas.

So many things to see & do for everyone! Many places to eat & fun amusements miniature golf too for the children as well as the adults!

Atlantic City Boardwalk is one of my favorite places to go. Weather has been great this winter. It's really a special place in my opinion.i love to see the 🌞 rise

The Ocean City Boardwalk is like going home. Each time I walk it, it takes me back to my youth. It is a great place to bring your family.

Face masks and social distancing was mostly enforced. There were tons of people but it was still clean and everything was bustling and open for business. Very well patrolled by local police too!

A great place to take friends and families. SO much to do for all ages. The waffle fries and funnel cakes are the best here

Happen to drive across to this location while in Atlantic city
Amazing place with lots of shops for food gifts and fun
Neat clean and access to beach
They also have cycles which one can hire

nice boardwalk lots to do and see and eat had fun.
4 brothers pizza was real good hugh slices of pizza.
clean beaches and bathroom near 12th street.

OC boardwalk has nice, boutique shops and not too many tschocke shops. Quite a few restaurants and pizza shops. It's a family friendly place with rides at both ends.

Fantastic family oriented beach boardwalk and access. Super clean beach and boardwalk is well maintained. There are 2 things to note: #1 - the area serves zero alcohol. You’ll have to bring your own and consume in your Airbnb before or after dinner(or lunch;) -#2 - beach access cost $. ($10 pp and weeklong passes were more it a better deal Per day. I hate paying for beach access BUT if it insures the beaches are well kept and well patrolled by lifeguards, I’m willing to fork over the $.
Overall an A+ for my family of 5

Great family boardwalk! Mostly closed on weekdays in April but great strolling place with a few places open for a quick bite or souvenir. Saturday was packed, everything open. Good family vibe. Clean bathrooms. We loved the arcade.

This was so amazing. There are thousands of stores that go down for miles. All the stores are so nice and sell tons of different things. There are restaurants, and normal stores that sell normal things. You can buy hermit crabs in some of the stores as pets. There is a store where you can see the workers make taffy. All the stores on the boardwalk are amazing.

Ocean City’s Boardwalk is very family oriented. No alcohol and no craziness! Very clean and fun! Lots of opportunities to get great food. Amusement park, putt putt and a water park. Easy access to the beach. Old-fashioned boardwalk like Atlantic City had when I was young. Lit up at night! Don’t miss it!

Almost no one wears a mask and there is no social distancing. It is very crowded on the beach, boardwalk and in the stores. It's obvious why COVID-19 is so prevalent in NJ. Don't go there. See for yourself. Check out the Ocean City live webcams and you will see very little compliance with mask wearing or social distancing.

No hawkers or gambling, no bars or tattoo parlors, Ocean City is a great place for safe family fun. Eat your way down the Boardwalk and don't skip Shriver's, Morrow's, Johnson's Popcorn (a must) and Manco &Manco Pizza. Lot's of cool rides for the kiddies and adults and very nice shops. There is a tram if you get tired!

This is by far the best family destination for the Jersey Shore as many of Jersey's other boardwalks are a little rough.

The boardwalk has it all: rides, salt water taffy, tourist shops, fudge, surrey rentals. It's very manageable size-wise and crowd-wise. The Music Pier has many concerts throughout the summer. It's also a great place to jog or for an early-morning bile ride. There's always something to see.

From rides to mini golf to every great snack, fudge and tasty imaginable the OCNJ boardwalk has always delivered.

We come here often and there is almost always something special going on. This place is relaxing, engaging, pleasant and safe. There are many restaurants, places of entertainment, interesting stores - all along the beautiful (but not free...) beaches. We come here mostly for a fast boardwalk-walk but sometimes stay for a meal or stop for ice cream.

it's a pleasant atmosphere, the boardwalk much smaller than Wildwood, not to many deals. But many things to do.

By far the best boardwalk down the Jersey shore. Food, pizza, popcorn, gyros abound. Fun for kids, teens and adults.

My wife and I went to the craft festival on Saturday then wanted to take a walk on the boardwalk. It was a beautiful day and we could stop at some of the shop to pickup some junk food. It was great to see that there were no seagulls flying around looking for food. Ocean city paid thousands of dollars a day to try this new program of getting rid of the birds and it must have worked.

We have been visiting Ocean City for about 12 years now. We rent an awesome Condo overlooking the ocean and boardwalk. One of the very few that have both. We book through Renting OCNJ. The boardwalk is usually crowded in the summer, which is when we rent but that is what makes it fun. The 2 amusement parks are great and our young kids love it. We also like that it is a dry town so Ocean City is very family oriented.

Had a great time on the boardwalk. We spent our time cruising the boardwalk on our scooters and met up with other people as well. Great short getaway. We are looking forward to a return visit soon

I love this boardwalk as there is a wide variety of options for food, shopping and exercising. My only wish is that people would stay in their lanes as many times I'm running in the runners lane I have to run around bikes and surreys.

We try to get down to OC at least 2x a year
Love the clean places and very family area
Lots to do and see - definitely go to the beach - and try all the food

The Boardwalk is very clean & spacious! Love the many pavilions to use to get out of the sun & rest.

Ocean City NJ is a “dry” destination making it perfect for families with kids - The 2 mile long or so boardwalk is filled with interesting store fronts that will keep the kids entertained - Largest Slice of Pizza, Pinball Arcades, Indoor & Outdoor Mini-Golf, Crab Fries, etc. - great for 2-3 day trip - definitely try to get a hotel up against the boardwalk (can be expensive)

Great boardwalk-lots of room-maintained and patrolled by the
public safety dept. Lots f activity for one or for families. The vendors and shops are decent and a good variety

This boardwalk is a dream! We are a "middle-aged" couple and were in Ocean City for a concert at the music pier. We ate all of our meals on the boardwalk and enjoyed the beach.

Visited Ocean City, NJ with my job. Sober environment which was great for my clients. The weather was amazing and the clients enjoyed themselves.
The bath houses were a great idea and were very clean. Less than $10 to shower and change prior to leaving the beach.

Ocean City maintains its reputation as America’s greatest family resort. Safe dry town . Kids of all ages love the two mile long boardwalk.

Strong wind, few joggers and bicyclists. A couple of places open. The Boardwalk itself looks in very good condition. Parking was not a problem and the lots aren't charging this early in the Spring. When they begin charging it is NOT cheap.

We visited the OC beach and boardwalk between August 9-11 just after Tropical Storm Debby passed. Luckily the storm stayed mostly inland so our family managed to get some decent time on the beach and the boardwalk.
As usual, there were plenty of things to do and see. The amusement park rides open late afternoon and evening and were pretty crowded. Lots of food and sweets available for purchase. Excellent fudge and salt water taffy.
The seagulls are still pests but there were falconers on the boardwalk patrolling with their birds to keep the gulls at bay.
Also, just heard that Wonderland Pier on 6th St. and Boardwalk may be closing permanently.....sad news.

This is a nice beach and boardwalk which is in good repair with shops and restaurants and plenty of room. Very clean and family friendly.

Boardwalk is well wide for best part of it with ample space to walk. Good number of shops and kids activities along the sides. Easy access to the streets. Didn’t find a shower though. My son had a blast in the beach.

Crowded at nights with youth. Limited number of stylish stores. Broad boardwalk and well lighted. Many places to eat

About what you'd expect. A wide, pleasant boardwalk with a lovely beach. An overabundance of junk stores and tourist trap venues. Some good food stands, but the seagulls will attack if you attempt to eat and walk.

We were in Ocean City NJ for a week long vacation. Our family frequented the boardwalk as we stayed right on the boardwalk on the southern end. Walking on the boardwalk in the evening was nice, pleanty of places to visit. We niticed it was clearner than the other boardwalks we've been to. In the middle where most of the shops are, it was very wide, this made for nice running and biking in the mornings, pleanty of room for whatever activity you are into, even just early morning stroll.

Many food options to choose from, as well as shopping, escape rooms, miniature golf, rides and game rooms. Very family oriented and prices were reasonable.

A first time visit found a clean and nice wide boardwalk for strolling and bike riding. Lots of stores and food options. Appreciated the covered pavilion to give weary feet a rest in the shade.

Love the boardwalk in OC! Clean and family friendly with great places to eat and ride areas for the kids.

We love everything about Ocean City. It is the perfect place to bring young children (8 to 12). Everyone is always able to find something they want to do, and it’s a perfect place to ride the waves. We love coming back here as often as we can. For a family of 11, it is still financially doable and enjoyable.

Great place for family’s in a dry town plenty of summer treats and lots of fun. Make it part of your family tradition to visit and enjoy every summer!

It is a wonderful place with incredible people, all the food is very good and the attention is first class, it is really 100% Recommended.

While walking on the boardwalk, we noticed the lack of annoying sea gulls scrounging for food. The birds they’re using to deter the sea gulls are doing a great job. I hope they sign them up for next summer. The OC boardwalk is always a great place to be. The sights and smells are incredible.

Nostalgic trip to OC for my wife's birthday. She had to see the beach and spend as much time as possible at the boardwalk! We went the entire length, took pictures of everything from Wonderland amusements rides to many of our favorite snack and pizza joints. Listened to the music coming from the Music Pier and people watched. Teenagers are so funny, and not so different from when we were the same! Lots of young families. Laughter. Smiles. Happy people. This is the America we love and remember. Bite me covid. America is bigger and better than you. God Bless Ocean City Boardwalk.

Had a great time in Ocean City. Girls road trip. 4 night stay. Stayed in a quaint manor with a view of the ocean and boardwalk. A wonderful, oh so pretty area when you cross that causeway. Awesome boardwalk. A treat just to walk around this lovely city. Will definitely go back.

Great place to meet to spend time with family and friends in a relaxed setting. On one side, many store fronts to see and experience... On the other side is the beautiful sun sand and ocean. The area is kept very clean by the staff and the New Jersey seagulls. The gulls can be fun to watch, and I am pretty sure that at one point I heard one seagull whisper to me "give up the french fries and no-one gets hurt" . Great place to make memories.

Family friendly. Good selection of rides for all ages including kiddie rides. Many good food and entertainment options.

Castaway Cove has rides that are not well-maintained. The rides are also short, in duration and overpriced. Food is overpriced, as are items in the shops, on the boardwalk. On the boardwalk, itself, you expect hoards of unsupervised teens and tweens, who have a total disegard, for other people. Not a good experience.

At least once per year, we drive to Ocean City and ride our bicycles along the boardwalk. At 2.5 miles in length, it is one of our favorite boardwalks in New Jersey. Two round trips are a good work out for us. The scenery is fantastic, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and a combination of homes and amusement park rides / vendors to the west. The boardwalk is exceptionally wide for the center portion where the amusement park rides are located. It then narrows a little at either end; but, is still good for bicycling. Come early because the boardwalk closes to bicycles around noon.

The boardwalk in Ocean city was a fun place to just walk around. The place is clean and well maintained, lots of benches to park yourself and eat. There were ample parking places as well. This boardwalk was so much nicer than the Atlantic city one - a lot less advertising noise, no one running you over with their carts and so much cleaner. They had a good police presence biking around too. The beach there was great, your average fair type food places to grab a bite, touristy shopping, and amusement /water rides - summer fun in one place!

Great beach town. Family had a blast on rides, games and boardwalk. Will definitely look into renting a house next year. Lots to do.

Excellent week on the boards.Weather was perfect. About 50% of the shops are open during week and about 80% on the weekend.Bike shops open every day.
Very nice to get into some fine seafood restaurants without waiting 2 hours to eat.Beach was nice and clean as was the boardwalk.Shops in town 90% open.

The best board walk in NJ for young families. Manco’s, rides, and tons of mini golf. It’s everything you would expect and then some.

We went after Labor Day in late September, so there weren't crowds. We found parking quickly.
We loved how there were benches along the boardwalk so we could sit and just people watch or watch the ocean.
Many of the stores and restaurants were closed as it was considered off season.
The boardwalk was so clean and we loved walking it.

A ton of shops are here: Both mid and high end holiday and beach items, as well as specialty items. The food here is incredible as well. There are many local places to park, but some can be a hike so consider bringing a beach wagon. Many of the food items are unique to the masses so not everyone will like them but there are so many choices! It gets super busy on the weekend and busy during the week in the summer so be prepared. Parking lots are all along the boardwalk 1-3 blocks away from the boardwalks. The wood on the boardwalk is in good shape. Police go up and down monitoring things so you do feel safer. There are a lot of repeat food options (Rita’s, Manco’s, Kohr’s, Johnson’s Popcorn, etc.) but many unique ones and what they do have is delicious regardless. They have many entertainment options including, many mini golf and escape room options, two amusement park, a water park, etc.). The fact that it is a dry county means that there are not college kids running around drunk as well. You feel safe allowing your young teenagers to go to the boardwalk alone, which I wouldn’t do in other more commercial, larger boardwalks. The boardwalk is about 2.5 miles long, and the stores are 1 mile of that.

The Ocean City Boardwalk has proven to be a year-round destination that captivates visitors with its enchanting blend of tradition, entertainment, and coastal beauty. One cannot overlook the family-friendly atmosphere that permeates every inch of the Ocean City Boardwalk. Children's laughter, the clinking of arcade tokens, and families enjoying a classic game of mini-golf contribute to an environment that fosters lasting memories.

We love OC and have been coming with family for years. Love that the boardwalk is family friendly and not full of bars.

Berkley ocean front hotel was super clean and accepted us with warm friendly atmosphere!!! Especially my huge respect to bellman Mukhammad to meet us with a great smile and friendly and taught us a lot of information to make our trip super ever!!!

I try to get to this boardwalk once a year. I absolutely love it! It's clean and fun for all ages. I would normally give it 5 stars. My only complaint this year was people NOT wearing masks and NOT social distancing. You must wear masks in the stores. I was amazed at how many people were not wearing them in crowds or in the restrooms. Even the custodian in the restroom had no mask. I understand taking masks off on the beach but it too was very crowded and everyone was too close to each other. I would plan on self quarantining after a trip here. This is why Covid19 numbers have risen so sharply. I expected everyone to take it more seriously and wished we had stayed home.

Ocean City Boardwalk has been noted for its family
type of a boardwalk. This boardwalk has retail stores,
restaurants, amusement rides, sweet shops, and ice
cream stands.

The Ocean City Boardwalk is filled with businesses that have been around for many years. The history and the quality are truly a draw. The boardwalk is very family friendly and offers opportunities for exercise as well. My family has been coming here for many decades and we enjoyed it again as much this weekend.

Not much open in March, but a walk on a sunny day can be great.
Lunch at one of the pizza places never disappoints.
Parking is free in the off season and no crowds to spoil a walk on the boards or along the beach.

Something for everyone. Good old fashioned summer fun for all ages. We have been going for over 40 years.

Wide, clean, well maintained, with many shops & arcades, secure, easy access to the shore line - very nice place to relax. Much better than in AC/Ventnor. Besides, there are quite a few parking options (some free) nearby, especially off-season.

The boardwalk at 2 1/2 miles long offers opportunity to ride bike in the mornings, stroll all day long and has plenty of benches for people watching. One can feel very comfortable bringing children of all ages as the store fronts do not have vulgar and offensive t-shirts for sale and is an alcohol free zone. The music pier has regular concerts and events. Beware of eating food on the boardwalk as scavenger seagulls hover overhead. For serious shoppers the downtown area actually offers MUCH nicer shopping opportunities.

it's a boardwalk filled with entertainment and food and rides - tons of fudge, ice cream, pizza, t-shirts, souvenirs. some new trendy items as well - Korean food, acai bowls, escape rooms, haunted mini golf, etc. Take your time, stroll, and enjoy!

We have been coming to Ocean City from time to time for over 50 years. It's amazing and wonderful that the community has remained "dry" while others have added more and more liquor serving bars. The boardwalk is very well maintained and there is an excellent manned rest room for free use. It is handicap accessible and handicap parking spaces throughout the city are FREE. (Never saw that before anywhere). With a few exceptions, most activities start at 9 or later. So whether you walk, jog, rent a surrey or ride a bike or even travel by electric scooter, you will have a good time.

Good family fun, especially those with younger children. There's plenty to do without the craziness of Wildwood.

Haven't been to Ocean City in 20 years and decided to visit for the day. Enjoyed my afternoon on the beach and boardwalk bringing back memories of the time I spent in OC in my younger days. Still lots of food and shopping. Still a great destination. Very busy all over OC. Parking is the toughest obstacle.

Excellent to relax, get some taffy & ice cream with a souvenir or two! Love that you can tent Bert’s umbrella & chairs!

We had an eclectic group comprised of young children, teenagers, 20 somethings, couples and a single in their 40s and 50s, and couples in their 70s. All of us love the Tahiti Inn and the Gallellis and even the cleaning ladies and maintenance people who return year after year. It’s difficult to get good help for the summer, but the owners always seem to have a well trained group of competent staff and they are carefully supervised by Pat, Cecilia, and Franco.

Its a very nice and clean area that I would definitely come back to that's family oriented. Lots of mini golf and looks like a great place to live and vacation and for people to retire.

Great, safe, boardwalk. Lots of families and friendly people in line waiting for rides. Kids had a blast on the rides. The lines didn’t seem too long either. Very clean beautiful city

The food options certainly don't get it a better score. Nothing but pizza and other food that is terrible for a healthy diet. We leave and go for a meal elsewhere.

So many different retailers with a nice mix of food and shopping. The boardwalk is so well-maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Our family was thoroughly impressed with the Ocean City Boardwalk. So much to see and do. Extremely clean and well kept. Plenty of places to eat and shop. And not all shops were just junk. Lots of room and benches to sit on. Just a beautiful place. We are looking forward to our next trip here.

Great food everywhere - you must try Jilly's french fries and Kohr Bros. custard. There is SO much to do , we could spend weeks there - mini-golf (several different places) 2 amusement parks, arcades, bike riding, VR, Escape Rooms, etc. anything that you would need to keep you busy. We ate so much food, but didn't gain any weight because we kept so active.

We had a few days before a wedding in Philadelphia and decided to make a visit here to reminisce about my childhood visits, 50+ years ago.
We stayed at the Scarborough Inn a few blocks from the boardwalk between 7th & 8th streets, that was an excellent stay.
We must have walked up and down the boardwalk 5 times during our two day visit.
The commercialized portion is only part of the boardwalk - further north and south are bordered by residential areas, but always beautiful beach and ocean views to the east.
Naturally we bought fudge and saltwater taffy to bring home.
There are plenty of public restrooms along the commercial parts.

Well worth the $5 fee. Fun walking, swimming, sunning and people watching. Nice change from AC and just down the road.

Rides for all ages, several mini golf courses, funnel cake, water ice, pizza, popcorn, arcades, food galore, shops, ice cream, sorbet, coffee, verizon store, sunglass hut, surf shops, cotton candy, cup cakes, etc. The list is endless with plenty of food choices. Mummers are on the boards sometimes too.

Good family boardwalk. Rides, food, stores, arcades... unfortunately you can't earn tickets for prizes at the arcades. But a walk on the boardwalk is always a winner.

Loved riding the boardwalk in the early morning and walking it at night. From the first light to setting sun, Ocean City's boardwalk is a great summer treat. They also have many events both on the boardwalk and on the beaches throughout the year.

Ocean City New Jersey is my favorite beach. My family has been going to the boardwalk on for over 50 years. It’s a safe clean family retreat with plenty of shops restaurants and security. There is miniature golf and various arcades for adults and children. Remember Ocean City New Jersey is dry there is no alcohol

This Boardwalk never disappoints. Other than the food prices are really high. Tuesday and Thursdays from 7 ton9 pm there are Mummerz. That was an awesome surprise! Patrolled very well and felt very safe here.

Lovely in any season. Even in October there were shops opened. Friendly people and because busy season is over some of the stores had great sales!

Beautiful beaches, clean boardwalk. Lots of shopping for family
Lots of places to choose from - bars, grills, pubs and restaurants.

While this is traditionally a summer venue, it’s also fun to walk on a nice fall day. Beautiful views of the ocean and dunes. Good variety of shops and restaurants

The great part of the OC Boardwalk is that it’s a beautiful place to stroll, commune with the ocean, tides and waves, bike, and leave your cares behind. The bad thing is that this year, there doesn’t seem to be an awareness about how distancing, masks or even common courtesy, can help to stop the spread of Covid-19. This attitude has made me stay away, even though I’ve lived nearby for 45 years. It’s mainly common among young people in their teens and twenties who seem to be oblivious to the fact that we all need to stop being so vain, wear the masks, and stop being so selfish.

While on vacation in Ocean City, we visited the boardwalk several times. There are tons of places to eat. Many many tourist places to shop. A couple of amusement parks and miniature golf. They have a music pier (hall) that has entertainment most weekends.

The Ocean City Boardwalk is a fun place to walk, sit, eat, shop, view, socialize, run, bike, surrey and play. Don't miss this gem.

My brother and I had a great time walking and peddling (in a 2-seater peddle surrey) up and down the Boardwalk during our weeklong stay at The Flanders Hotel. We always stay near the Boardwalk, because that is where much of the action is in Ocean City.

OCNJ is the best family vacation spot for people who enjoy beautiful beaches and a fantastic family friendly boardwalk. The boardwalk has just about any type of food, clothing and amusement rides you could imagine. Just bring tons of cash 😂

Shopping, food, games and rides. Everything you could want in eight miles of clean fresh sea air colorful atmosphere family fun.

What a breath of fresh air. The OCNJ boardwalk and beach were made 10000000% better. I heard the officers making announcements that no smoking anywhere it was a delight to experience the magic of the OCNJ beach and boardwalk and no more worrying about smoke. Alleluia. OCNJ is the best and now it’s better!!!!!

The boardwalk was delightful but was a little disappointed that the dropped food, ice cream and candy were never sprayed off from the night before. We say the same food all week by the benches on the boardwalk.

We were very surprised at how much we loved this Boardwalk! There's something for everyone - mini golf, rollercoasters, water parks, shopping, restaurants, mirror mazes, arcades, etc. There are lanes designated for people walking and bikers. The boardwalk is so fun and walking alongside the beach makes it even better. Highly recommend this area, even just for exercising!
*It costs $6/person to be on the beach (between Memorial Day and Labor Day). This is standard for most NJ beaches during the summer months. The boardwalk is free!

So dated. Move into the 21st century. Everything in NJ shore towns is cheesy, old, overpriced, and not worth the expense.
Save the ridiculous prices and go to FL or another 21st century tourist spot.

We went at the end of season... A lot of shops, diners closed early... Had some okay, good and great food...
Went to AC Aquarium, OC Museum and
Smithville Village not great, but entertaining none the least... Our favorite ice cream shop Hobby Horse
8th and Atlantic burnt down a month
after we were there. 😪

I traveled here for the first time with my friends and their family. The boardwalk was very nice and clean. Great place to take the children. I like there are plenty of entertainment options for all ages. I think the fact that Ocean City is a dry town and no alcohol or bars are on the boardwalk makes it a cleaner and safer than other boardwalks I've visited.

A beautiful boardwalk. Clean and well-maintained. Very safe with lots of police around. So many different families and a lot more family oriented and friendly when compared to Wildwood.

Pleasant town nice boardwalk for family. No alcohol in town which gives the Boardwalk a different vibe. Come for the basic food stuff ice cream and sandwiches.

It’s really a shame that people have no respect for anything anymore. People are leaving and throwing their trash all over the boardwalk. Literally eat their meals and just leave all of their garbage on the benches or on the ground when they have trash and recycle cans EVERYWHERE. Is this how they act in their homes? Disgusting! I hope they start issuing fines because it’s the only way to stop them from ruining what was a nice family town.

I highly recommend the Ocean City Boardwalk for relaxed walking, biking and ocean viewing. Two thing detracted from my trip. On the toll roads from the Philly airport to Ocean City,N.J. The Atlantic City Expressway and then the Garden State Parkway have some toll exits with lanes for Easy Pass Only or exact coin only pay booths. No humans. Really. did I have exactly $2.10 in coins? No.
I won’t incriminate myself with my solution. Next day I went to the PNC Bank and Republic Bank in O.C. Both refused to sell me a $10 roll of quarters. The friendly teller at TD Bank did. I should have found out if my Easy Pass from Florida would work on an out of state rental car, but really, NJ DOT. Exact coin only? Interestingly; the TD bank was busy and the PNC and Republc had no one.

Ocean City Beach is beautiful, peaceful and clean. The boardwalk has so much to offer. You can talk a beautiful stroll and enjoy the shops, rides, breeze and restaurants on the boardwalk. Quick drive from AC.

This is the best family boardwalk in New Jersey. Very family oriented and friendly. No gambling, alcohol, or smoking. Available are kiddie rides and entertainment, many mini golf courses, go carts, and fun things for kids to buy. There are also many ice cream places on the boardwalk and great pizza for every family member to enjoy. There's a lots of food areas to explore and fun things to do. Enjoy!!

I have been coming to Ocean City New Jersey for 50 years. For many of those years it was a lovely family resort. COVID ruined it. When Philadelphia and upstate New Jersey residents all moved down to Southern New Jersey, they brought their teenagers who now roam the boardwalk all night long in large mobs. A family resort no more.

With tons of entertainment places and restaurants, hobby shops and general merchandise shops , this is the place to be in Ocean City,NJ.

We had a great time riding bikes along the boardwalk in the mornings (until noon) and stopping for coffee along the way. It is incredibly clean and well maintained. The unique shops, family amusements, small locally owned businesses, and eateries make this a great way to spend a few hours or an entire day!

The boardwalk is always great!! It's changed over the years alot. But ,great food and plenty of awesome stores. We rode pedal cart up on boards that was fun lots of laughter. All in all it's a good time to walk, sit and watch people or go play some games.

This is the second time my family has had a reunion in OCNJ. We stay within walking distance of the boardwalk. We like to get up and catch the sunrise..... We like that there is no booze, smoking, drugs, or pesky pets on the Boardwalk. We like the variety of shops. A favorite is getting coffee at Ocean City Coffee. We also enjoyed the fireworks show Columbus Day weekend. This place is definitely for families and others who like a great atmosphere in a beautiful location.

Very nice boardwalk with an amusement park, arcades, and plenty of places to eat. Some of the places have less than desirable food but I'm sure if your there long enough you can find a place. Ikea had good calamari but their crab cakes and clam strips weren't very good even though they say that they are known for their crab cakes. The crab cakes are expensive, 2 for 24 4 oz. And somewhat tasteless. The clam strips were covered in batter that tasted sweet. There was no taste of a clam..

Shops, eateries, amusements, bike rentals, and more. A great place to walk or bike for your morning workout. This is the bridge between the town and the beach. Sit and watch the kite flyers, the frisbee games or any other activity.

This was our first time at OC. We really enjoyed the boardwalk, lots of shops to choose from, even in September. Some were already closed for the season, but we had a really good time there and would definitely go back! The people are very friendly, and there was social distancing going on which was good at this time of the pandemic. We would like to go back in the summer next year when everything is open. The only thing I would say is that it's not as big as Wildwood's boardwalk and doesn't have as many rides, but it's fun! OC is a nice and friendly place to go. The restaurants that we went to were all good, too.

Ocean City Boardwalk is like a must-visit spot on the East Coast that mixes old and new vibes really well. Whether you want a chill day at the beach, an exciting adventure, or yummy food, this boardwalk's got everything. It's a place where you make awesome memories, and the sea breeze carries the sounds of happy families and visitors. Don't pass up the chance to check out the Ocean City Boardwalk—it's like a seaside paradise just waiting for you to explore.

Great family fun. Beach, boardwalk, rides for tots & teens. Arcades, stores for gifts and novelties. Wide range of food choices.

We have always loved ocnj, it's clean and family friendly. We e been coming here for at least 18 years. There's so much to do and see, the boardwalk is a lot of fun and the kids really enjoy it.

What a nice visit, even in the pre-season! If you have little ones, definitely load up the stroller and take time to enjoy the sites, sounds, fresh air, beautiful water and sand. There's plenty of shops, restaurants, sweet eats and bathrooms as well as plentiful security and police. The souvenir shops were nice and decent prices as well.

Long weekend at the boardwalk to see friends who live in OCNJ and to relax with my wife at the historic Flanders Hotel. Nice weather, good crowd, a slice of boardwalk pizza for tradition sake and a bag full of beach apparel to drag home for our grandchildren. Always an enjoyable jaunt to this town in south Jersey.

We made a last minute trip to OCNJ for a couple of days over Labor Day Weekend with our teen daughters and had a blast! Beach and boardwalk are clean and brand new (after Sandy) and beach tags are cheaper in comparison to other NJ beaches ($5 per adult per day). Parking is expensive but easily found - you can park on street if available and pay by mobile app but max is 4 hours or park in a lot for $20 for the day (probably the better way to go). Both beach tags and lot parking are cash only so keep some on you! Lots of food stands and even a food court (by 7th St) but also a cash business!beach was clean and water/waves were plenty!

It’s something to do in OC but very redundant and only a few blocks with shops and restaurants. If you like pizza, putt-put golf, and arcades, you are in luck.

Definitely one of the largest, active and family friendly boardwalks in Jersey. The tickets are pretty expensive for the rides so choose carefully or check dates for discounted rates. The restaurants and shops are very well priced though and affordable fo families.

We visited OCNJ for many years with our own children and now visit with our grandchildren. This is a family beach town with fun things for little ones to enjoy, especially at Wonderland. Would recommend for all ages.

Great family oriented destination.A little bit of everything for everyone from toddlers to seniors and those in between. Clean, safe town that is well taken care of.

Beautiful town, clean boardwalk, variety of things to do and lots of food! Beaches are also very clean.

The board walk is an excellent place if you would like to stroll across the beach with the stores on one side. It was not as crowded as the Atlantic city board walk and this was great! Have a backpack with all that you need, park your car where it is available and cheaper and bike ahead to the beach spot that you love.
1) Make sure you carry ponchos or hats as needed based on the weather
2) Not sure if there is a bike rental place as I have not seen one all through the board walk. If you bring your own bikes, check your bikes are in good condition before you head out.
3) The Pier is accessible to only the club people and does not seem to be open for public.
4) There are a variety of food options catering to the needs of all and vegetarian options as well.

Great boardwalk. Several miles long. You can find just about anything that you are looking for. Lots of shops and restaurants. There are two amusement ride areas, several miniature golf and a go kart track/ride. Lots of the usual fudge, ice cream, french fries and pizza. There are also lots of different food options and many sit down restaurants. Ocean city coffee company and Johnson's popcorn have several stores. They have added new bathroom buildings in the last year so there are quite of few of those and benches line the entire boardwalk for people to sit and eat or rest.

My granddaughter had a blast on the boardwalk. We ate pizza, got monkey bread, fudge and salt water taffy. Wonderland was great!

It was a great vacation, beautiful beach and boardwalk. Many available activities for kids. Beach can get crowded at certain points but clean and pretty.

I grew up spending the summers in Ocean City and I enjoy coming down for day trips during the week I got alot of sun yesterday so I spent the day walking the boards. I picked up candy, new beach towels, and a beautiful cover up. Shop smart, eat pizza and enjoy!

Family friendly place to spend an afternoon, great eateries, shops and attractions like mini golf, amusement parks and game booths, tranquil boardwalk with paths for bicycles and pedestrians!

This boardwalk is great for families. No Rif raf. No drinking in this town. After Labor Day is nice and quiet!

The boardwalk is lovely and less crowded than some others on the Jersey Shore. A perfect distance to walk for exercise.

My wife and I visited the Ocean City Boardwalk several times in June 2020. There are many shops and restaurants. I found it to be too crowded and too few were wearing masks. For me, I prefer quieter boardwalks on the Jersey shore where the primary purpose is walking and exercise.

Nostalgia brought us back to OC but the improvements were spot on. Larger boardwalk no smoking or vaping and surprisingly no profanity. They have really cleaned up their act.

What a great spot to bring the family, it takes me back to when I was a kid. I loved it here and always will!

Nice, well maintained boardwalk with plenty to do along the way. Good variety of eateries, games of chance and benches to sit down for a rest. Also several amusement areas along the way Good, decent people strolling the boardwalk - Definitely a place to take young kids. There are few sea gulls because trained raptors have been introduced to chase the gulls away. Nice, comfortable boardwalk to stroll on.

We were in a condo nearby and came here to enjoy the fresh sea air but walk on a smooth service. It is marked by quarter mile so you can measure your progress. Plenty of benches along the way but only two comfort stations in the two mile board walk.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice walk on the boardwalk after a weekend with friends. The boardwalk was clean, lots of places and types of food to eat and drink, plus a small amusement pier perfect for kids. We stopped in some stores supporting the local economy and finished the day with some pizza at Manco and Manco. Ocean City is a nice family shore point. We will return.

Ocean City Boardwalk is a fun mix of old and new, with something for everyone. Whether you love exciting rides, tasty snacks, or just relaxing by the sea, this boardwalk has it all. While a few things could be spruced up, the overall charm makes it a must-visit for anyone looking for a classic beach experience.

Family oriented area. Food and rides for all the family. No alcohol is sold in Ocean City. Beaches are clean and there is a price for adults. Watch out for seaguls. They ill snatch food right out of your hand.

We've been coming o OC for 70 years. This year we rented a home for a month. One of our favorite stops has to be a trip to the "boards". I'm amazed at the changes but surprised by what hasn't changed. Of course the rides have gotten bigger and many of the stores are new but they've been smart by keeping the ones that made this place so much fun to visit. Shriver's, Kohr Bros, Manco and Johnsons Popcorn all bring you back to years ago and the hours you used to spend here. I think the most wonderful part of the boardwalk is being able to have the ocean right there. The smells, the noise all make you feel like a kid again. It has a special place in my heart.

Cool boardwalk. Lots of shops and restaurants. Family friendly. Felt very safe with lots of visible friendly police. You have to have a paid tag to enter the beach. Beach was packed but still managed to find ocean front spot

Clean, happy, trouble-free with fun rides for younger kids and good food selection for all. Well-kept with a great concert pier and surf school too.

Very clean! No riff raff! High PD viz. Yes you have to pay but it helps to keep the filth from the area. Sure OC MD is free but who wants to deal eith the BS & filthy hogs that get up & leave more trash than I put out in a week! Or 15 people change in a mini-van & then throw a dirty diaper out in the parking lot when the trash can is right there. I didn’t see any oof that in OC NJ. People are courteous. Homes are well kept.

Because Ocean City is a dry town, the Boardwalk is a wholesome place for families. It is a safe place for teens to hang out. There is a wide variety of shops, eateries, and rides, and entertainment.

Most of the nice stores are gone. They used to have some really great stores and shops but now mostly just junky cheap shops

We've been to all the shores, but nothing is better and more family-oriented than Ocean City NJ! We love it!

The shopping is endless; Eateries are all terrific! Definitely (IMO) the cleanest & most family-friendly boardwalks in all of New Jersey! You have to hit the Beef Jerky place, as well as Johnson's Popcorn & one of the Fudge shops! Jersey also has some of the BEST Salt water taffy out there for sure!

Love this boardwalk!!! Great for a date night but also lovely with the whole family. One of the staples to my summer

Lots to do on the boardwalk. Lots of vendors and amusements. Good street artists also and very entertaining for the family. This is a family oriented town.

Nice strolling on the boardwalk with the variety of Street performer's. The sunset was amazing. Hope to visit again soon.

Love the OC boardwalk. Great place for family fun. Boardwalk has many many rides for the kids. Lots o miniature golf courses too. Plenty to do for the kids. Very comfortable to let them on their own during day. Surprisingly getting a bit more rowdy at night with large groups of kids in groups. Noticed three times where police had to break-up the groups. Try the Manco Pizza and Kohl Bros ice cream. Best place for creamy fudge is Fudge Kitchen.

Love this Boardwalk, clean friendly and very good options for food/treats. Kids love surf mall and we love to watch people try to eat while avoiding seagulls. It’s great people watching. Not enough places like this left where families can really relax, laugh and enjoy.

This was our first time visiting OC. The boardwalk was what you'd expect if you've ever gone to the Jersey Shore - a million overpriced t-shirt spots, a range of people - young to old, mini golf, rides and many tasty, artery-clogging food options. It was not too crowded when we visiting. A lot of benches for people watching. Worth visiting for a night or 2.

Family friendly with plenty of stores that have nice items. Arcades have all the latest games. Make sure you go for an early morning bike ride before it gets crowded.

I am not a native of NJ. I have been to Ac and wildwood boardwalks and honestly, hated both. This was my first time in OC on that boardwalk and what a difference! Clean! No alcohol. Families everywhere even at night. I felt very safe. There were multiple mini golfs, escape rooms, arcades and of course food galore. Definitely great for a family excursion!!

The Porsche Club/ MidAtlantic group met for an assembly of about 270 different models in mid October. These cars were on view right on the boardwalk for two days and it was fun to peruse each and every one.
The weather was still mild and the beach was lovely to walk with our dogs.

This is the only boardwalk to come to with your family it’s not wild it’s friendly and you will enjoy yourself for sure!

Very comfortable atmosphere with friendly people walking up and down with people of all ages and a beach close by. Definitely worth checking out !!

This was a fun experiment- several raptors were used to warn away the voracious seagulls this year and it worked. The birds were still pretty bold- I watched an immature seagull walk into a popcorn kiosk. Clean boardwalk, I think much nicer than Wildwood and more family friendly. Rides only running for weekends in September

Too many people. Tourist tap. Too much junk food. Too many seagulls that swoop down and try to eat your food. Not as clean as it should be.

Have young children? The north end has rides for them. Teens? Sure does have rides for them. Hungry? Plenty of restaurants, pizza, ice cream places. Want the best taffy? We love Shrivers. Jewelry? Tee shirts and sweatshirts? Jilly’s has a big selection with multiple shops. I always feel safe. Police patrol day and night.

OC NJ Boardwalk is clean and relaxing. Not a rowdy crowd and well policed. They have falcons to keep the gulls away which was much needed.

While my wife and I love it it’s also great for kids. There is a lot to do with rides and mini golf and the stores are interesting for all. Top spot for a family. Chris Vtrainers Personal Training

Life guards spent whole day yelling at certain ppl for being out too far (while still able to touch ground) or flirting with each other-boardwalk had nothing to do but mini golf, amusement park sucked and constant announcements over the intercom stating things you may not do. Unnecessary amount of police, unfriendly at that. Will never return

The beach was great, the kids enjoyed 'riding the waves' The sand was not hot, but had broken seashells in it - do not travel barefoot.

For our family, OCNJ is a summer tradition. We have been going there for years. There have been some changes on the boardwalk over the years, but it still remains one of our Family favorites and one of the "classier" boardwalks in New Jersey. It is definitely a family friendly place and can be enjoyed by all ages.

Forgot to bring something? Shop here.
Hungry? Eat here.
Lots of things to see and do. Most shops are open.

Ocean City is still a great family place and their boardwalk reflects this as well. Great food spots, ocean views all the way and fun shopping opportunities. The law enforcement had a strong presence which made my hubby and I feel uber safe. We are graateful that Ocean City's boardwalk still has that old fashioned appeal that I remember as a kid!

Haven’t been to the OCNJ boardwalk for at least 40 years so it was fun to see some things unchanged, some new places but still a fun place to take a seat and watch the humanity of it all

Went here while in the area to visit and hang out with the family. I am very impressed with how clean and safe the area seemed. Kind police officers everywhere who helped me find where I was going. When going onto the beach, I was stopped by a beachtagger, I believe his name was Elijah, who kindly asked me if I had a beachtag. Not being from the area, I was not aware the family and I needed them but Elijah kindly explained the reasoning and how to get one. Very impressed with the professionalism of this young, seasonal worker who kindly rejected my tip (due to not being allowed to accept them). Will be going back here the next time I'm in the area.

The Ocean City Boardwalk to me as a resident of New Jersey is the nicest, cleanest and well run boardwalks at the Jersey shore.
They keep the boardwalk really clean, there are nice restaurants and stores to shop at and you always feel safe here. There are nice amusements for the kids as well. The beach is kept super clean and you can tell the town cares.
Stop st Manco & Manco for pizza and Johnson’s Popcorn for their caramel and Cheddar popcorn. Both are a treat!

The Ocean City boardwalk is a must visit if you are in town. From clothing stores and restaurants to an amusement park, it has everything you could ever want. There are multiple places to buy clothes and many different kinds of food, and even a VR spot.
This is a must visit!

Always a great family place to enjoy the beach. Lately, with all the pandemic closing other beaches many are flocking to NJ and overwhelming the beaches North of Atlantic City. There were some out of stater on the beach and boardwalk but when speaking to them most were from PA. We always enjoy Ocean City, my advice though is to visit during week days to avoid the crowds.

Though it’s not open yet but people starts coming in. Beautiful shore and clean beach, well maintained broadway suitable for kids to run around. Lots of lodges and store along the broadway. Looking forward to revisit next week when it is open.

beautiful walk on a cold clear day in november. very little open but the boardwalk was pristine. worth an off season visit in september for sure

Loved our tour around here with a local who worked and played here. Really enjoyed nosing round in the heat. Range of shops was great. Tourist tat ? Yep. Fatty fudge ? Oh yeah. Nice ices ? Yep. We loved it !

We walked the boardwalk and loved the different lanes they have laid out for pedestrians, bicycles and runners (so there are no accidents). It was beautifully clean and well maintained, with nice shops and friendly people enjoying the views and suntanning. It was an enjoyable afternoon, just like in the movies!

There food was great and pricing of trinkets and souvenirs was really reasonable. First trip to OC, we will be back.

I've been coming here since I was a small child. We started bringing our kids here when they were small. Now there older, but we still love coming to OC. Great shops and plenty of food choices from fudge, seafood, ice cream (even homemade), pizza and fried Oreos to name a few. The rides did open up this year, but with limited seating due to Covid. We didn't go on the rides the few times we've been this year.

The Ocean City boardwalk exemplifies what is the best in Jersey Shore. Pleasant, interesting, active and entertaining. It is also a good place to walk. It has more of a family fun atmosphere than Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Ocean City, NJ is known as one of America’s favorite family destinations in the summer. The Boardwalk is very clean and there is a lot of activities for Adults, young teens, kids, and to toddlers. The town is a dry town (no alcohol) so it’s very family friendly and safe. You will enjoy all the nice restaurants, clean beaches, and fun activities on and off the Boardwalk. Asbury Avenue has a lot of nice shops and eateries. Twice a year they have a block party, in May and October. This is a nice destination for a day trip or family vacation. You could easily spend three days here or more if you like the beach! OC is about 20 mins from Atlantic City if the adults like to gamble!

A clean, family-oriented, safe and friendly boardwalk. There are plenty of amusement rides for all ages.

If you are not keen of crowded boardwalk, but want to play golf or use the kite or even just to take a dip in the beach, this is the place to be. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place first and you can ride your bike until noon then they clear the paths for the patrons. I really loved the atmosphere and the sense of where i can walk around freely without feeling too crowded. This place has two or three huge amusement parks and your kids would love it.

We enjoyed this boardwalk so much more then Jenkinsons at Point Pleasant. Didn't have to view a bunch of 20 something year olds looking for a club to hangout in. I loved the idea that all the players at the games each received a token towards a prize.

This is not the boardwalk with all the noisy games and cheap balloon popping booths like some others along the Jersey Shore. This town is clearly for a better class of individuals. As one could see by the condition of the homes in this quaint city, one comes here for the beautiful views and ambiance. You will be hard-pressed to find trash blowing on the streets, Boardwalk, or anywhere for that matter here in Ocean City New Jersey. The boardwalk stores are well-kept the food is good, and if you like miniature golf this is your place.

City now closing bathrooms at 10 pm!
Cause they had a bad senior week with crazy kids they punish everyone for the whole summer.

The old time family feel of the boardwalk experience, smell of pizza and popcorn, ice cream to your hearts content also some new wrinkles with healthy choices. Loved some of the escape rooms and of course the mini golf. Definitely plan on continuing the yearly tradition.

Have been coming for more than 25 years and there is no place as magical or family friendly as Ocean City NJ. It is. PlCe for young children, cousins and families to spend time riding bikes early on the boards, grabbing Brown’s or Oves hot cinnamon sugar apple cider donuts, riding the waves in the day, and at night walking the more than two mile boardwalk with its famous Johnson’s caramel corn, Kohr’s, salt water taffy, Polish water ice, Manco pizza and Fudge Kitchen....

We were staying in Wildwood and had never been to the Jersey Shore. We took a day trip with our two 15 year old girls and 9 year old boy. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the boardwalk. They had also put several restroom trailers in place and we witnessed people cleaning them. They made frequent announcements asking people to please wear masks and not smoke, social distance etc and the difference was that more people were following these rules than in wildwood. Pretty much all staff were wearing masks. We did a fun mini golf, the shops were nice and well kept but not too expensive. Plenty of benches and plenty of parking right off the boardwalk.

This was our second summer at the OCNJ boardwalk and we had a blast. Our 4yo enjoyed the beach and all of the boardwalk attractions fav's being the Castaway amusement park & arcade, Gorilla mini golf, VR, and the alien abduction. There is so much to look at and explore on the boardwalk that she was never bored. Our only wish would be for more gluten free food options for our family. Bonus this season was the hawks keeping the seagulls away, we had so much fun seeing them every day.

The boardwalk is great family fun. You have to try Manco and Manco pizza. If you rent bikes in the morning they have a flag rising ceremony everyday at 8:50 that is so special. And of course the shops and amusements. Great Place.

My wife and I absolutely loved exploring the boardwalk a few weeks ago!! I was concerned when I booked a 2-night stay in Ocean City that maybe my wife in a motorized wheelchair might find the boardwalk uncomfortable for her, but for the most part it was relatively smooth for her and very accessible with on/off ramps. We will definitely return to Ocean City and explore the boardwalk again!

I enjoyed walking on the boardwalk. Lots of benches to sit down to rest if necessary. I especially enjoyed Johnson’s Popcorn. It was my first time in Ocean City and would go back again in the future

Being a dry town has its advantages and Ocean City’s long boardwalk is blessed with less character than Seaside or Wildwood. Plenty of fun for the younger ones with classic kiddie rides and arcades. Dads will be happy to find a few working pinball machines, a rarity. Ubiquitous souvenirs and beach sundries to be found, but not many games of skill/chance. Hit up Mancos & Mancos for pizza, fries from Frenchy’s, and grab some candy from Salinger’s. Honestly six blocks is all you need, because it does get redundant pretty quickly. If you start at the north end by Wonderland you will get all you expected.

We went down to see the fireworks on the 4th. What a great experience! My boys loved it. There were so many people there.

OCNJ boardwalk is wonderful magical place for couples and families. From the marvelous views of the ocean to dozens of businesses along the boardwalk, time seems to stand still.Just taking a stroll on the boardwalk can be very soothing on the soul. Having visited in winter, summer, spring and fall,We never had a bad experience.

I have not walked these boards in over 15 years. It felt so good to be back on them. Such a safe and clean environment. It was crowded, as apparently Thursday night is family night (well what night isn't family night here) and there were musicians on the Boardwalk! We had a great time and I got to walk down memory lane. I won't wait that long to return that's for sure!

Not a single drop of alcohol can be found in this area. It's almost discrimination! We paid the parking fee, found out we couldn't hit a bar for a drink, then left this plain city. Good thing we had our cooler and plenty of drink options in our car. Boring town, with boring people. Oh, even better..... Apparently they have some law that you can't enjoy a cigarette while walking on the boardwalk! And the boardwalk is OUTSIDE! We will never go back here ✌✌

A nice place to walk with your family. Lots of shops, food and rides for the kids. The boardwalk is wide with designated areas for bikes, runners and walkers.

I guess its a sign of the times?? I am 50 years old and have been coming here for a number of years. I enjoyed the "family friendly" atmosphere, but not so much anymore. I visited the end of July 2020. I am tired of the attire some women wear. I really don't want my teenage son seeing a woman walk by with most of her buttocks showing. The beach was disgusting with garbage all along the shore line and on the boardwalk... Its sad that people are this disrespectful. The best time was in the early AM when the beach was pretty much empty and the speed boat ride in the bay. Not fond of being forced to wear a mask, the masks are about control and infringe upon my freedom!!

There are shops, miniature golf, arcades and many food places. Unfortunately the food quality is at best only fair and typically a little overpriced. Free parking is a real challenge and/or a long walk. Meter parking scarce and paid parking ridiculously overpriced.

The Boardwalk is a vital part of the fun in Ocean City, one of the Jersey Coast's best places for fun! With fun rides and good food, this place is an amazing place for fun, very much meant for children, and yet not at all very crowded. When I went in June, I didn't suffer from long lines at all. As well as the beach next to it, the Boardwalk is an amazing place for family fun!

Lovely people- families, children, service dogs with their masters, surreys and lots of bicycles! People of all ages enjoying foods, shopping and making new friends!

I had the opportunity to spend the night in Ocean City and decided to spend the evening on the boardwalk, having dinner at Manco Manco Pizza and having dessert at Johnson’s Popcorn, two of my favorite places at the shore.
The evening was so much fun. The weather was so warm and the breeze was amazing. When the sun went down, the lights went on and I was amazed how busy the town was that evening. The amusement park was really busy as were the restaurants and shops.
The views of the ocean and beach at night are just spectacular. There is something for everyone at the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Almost Always a great idea. Get great exercise walking or in the morning riding a bike or surrey. If you aren't feeling energized sit on one of the many benches a spend some time people watching. So Much Fun! Stores are great I love Marty's and of course the phenominal food--Johnson Popcorn, Curley's Fries, Funnel Cake, Fudge, Ice Cream, Salt Water Taffy, etc.. ok I love the food. Go into Shriver's and get a fabulous Candy Apple --sooooo good yum

This is the best boardwalk I have been to. So many food, dessert, and activities to choose from! The boardwalk itself is big and in great condition. Plenty of benches to rest. A lot of rides and mini golf to pick from.

Very clean, so many benches, lots of food options (good & bad), a couple of arcades, and many shops. Lots of mini golf and some rides. Plenty of public bathrooms. Great way to spend a day (or a few!)

What an amazing time. We were there for cruising the boards and it was amazing. Everything in the boardwalk was open. The people were great and the weather fabulous. We had such a good time.

2 1/2 miles of well kept boardwalk- nice and wide for bikes, surreys, jogging or walking. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Plenty of places to eat, snack, etc. Many stores and mini golf plus amusement rides (2 parks). Very safe and well patrolled!

Ocean city is a fabulous area to stroll, sightsee, shop, and beach. We ate delicious Kohrs BROTHERS custard (ice-cream) yummy. Everything is spotless and family oriented. This time of year many establishments are closed but you can ride bikes or walk on the beach. Definitely worth the trip.

We enjoyed riding bike on the boardwalk in the evening, which you can only do after Labor Day. This boardwalk is clean, with a good variety of food options. It also has plenty of seating available - lined with benches and the occasional pavilion.

This place was perfect for a day at the beach. Lifeguards are very observant, everything is clean. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for a small price $10 and $6 and they will set them up for you. We found easy street parking with a meter near 5th street.

I have been coming to Ocean City NJ since I was a young child and I still come here with my own family. It is a great place to visit with lots of things to do. Great long boardwalk filled with shops, arcades, food, rides and the best mini golf around. The people are well behaved, it is definitely a family place. It is a dry town, no alcohol, so it is not as loud and wild as some other places. The beaches are beautiful, nice to swim at. I highly recommend coming here for a visit.

The best ever for everything and I never want to leave. I love being here, makes an old person feel young again!

I've been going to this boardwalk since I was a baby in a stroller. At 55 years old I still love the boards. It's clean and very family friendly. You won't find rowdy out of control kids and I totally feel safe there. Lots of yummy food and plenty to do and see.

While traveling through NJ we wanted to experience an ocean side boardwalk so we opted for Ocean City over Atlantic City because of the tripadvisor reviews. It was very scenic & clean but also extremely busy. Like the kind of busy that made it almost impossible to shop at any of the stores. The majority of the places seemed to be either pizza, fries, or mini golf but occasionally theres a cool store along the way. The beach is beautiful but we went late in the day so didnt go in the water at all. Overall a nice experience

OCEAN CITY....is a hidden gem.
Such a lovely destination for travelers of all kinds...
The beach is beautiful..
The boardwalk makes you feel as if you've stepped back in time....
It is dry town & it was founded originally by a group of pastors....
The food is excellent, especially the seafood....
The coffee shops are so quaint....
The shops on ASBURY ST. are some of the nicest stores I've ever seen.....
You will.find everything you need for your trip to OCEAN CITY.
The houses & rentals are beautiful & kept up so well...
Don't forget NIght in Venice....a evening of boats & lights, & food & family...

I grew up spending my summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ. This place has captured my heart. Now, 30 years later, she has stayed the same, but has also grown. I feel at home on the boardwalk. The food is great, the shops have so much to offer, lots of entertainment for the kids and yet, you can just walk on the boardwalk to feel the ocean breeze on your face. Lots of places to access the beautiful beach. This is a must see, a place to spend a memorable vacation.
Please note: no dogs are allowed on the boardwalk.

This boardwalk is alive from dawn to way past dusk. The boardwalk has a couple of arcades and ride areas.the one thing missing and this is a good thing is no skill games to drain the family’s bank account. The boardwalk and beach are very clean. The beach is raked every night to keep it that way. Lots of mom n pop motels and hotels nearby. Take the family and enjoy without going to the bank for a loan.

Ocean City New Jersey is great even in the late fall and early winter. Some stores are still open pizza places are definitely open but it is not crowded the wonderful place to go walking

We were there before Memorial day so a lot of stores, restaurants were not open although there were plenty of people.

beautiful, clean and well maintained boardwalk, clean beach. kids loved it. lots to do. i would definitely visit again.

The perfect place for everyone! Food goes from fries to seafood to desserts. Great things to see & do, like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, Lifesaving Museum, rides & games. A variety of live entertainment or just sit & people watch. The tram is expensive $5 a person one way.

I've loved visiting OC for years. The boardwalk has been maintained better recently. The crews that work the early mornings are great at keeping up with trash. I only wish they'd add a couple more restrooms and signage for direction. Mayne you are here maps to find stores easier while walking the boardwalk.

I chose to visit Ocean City to see a quintessential east coast boardwalk and Ocean City has a great one! Lots of great shops, food, mini golf, arcades, and rides. The beach was very nice too. Great place to spend a night or weekend.

Lots to do, see, and waste money on.
Also to eat!
I highly recommend for anyone. In particular I'm a fan of Kohr Bros Custard.

Endless restaurants and souvenir shops. A great selection of international foods. Lots of benches and pavilions where you can rest or just escape from the crowded boardwalk. The beach is right off the boardwalk. Enough space to spread out on the beach even when it’s busy. It’s a nice, family-friendly place with plenty to offer without breaking the bank.

We go to this boardwalk often, and as far as I could see this trip most people had masks but only wore them when going into stores or purchasing food, as soon as they walked away they were taken off.

We played mini golf. Did the Escape room and the water slide. Walked the entire boardwalk. Watch the sun rise over the ocean.

Beautiful, clean and so much fun for families of all ages!!! Just don't make the mistake my family did and stay at the Scarborough Inn B & B. The owners are rude, place is filthy and overpriced.

Our family has come here every fall for over 25 years. Great get away. Some things change, some never change. Always a great time.

Calmer shore boadwalk ... dry town so nice to walk around and explore and snack your way through! Also had several covered outdoor shelters for people to sit and relax away from sun when very hot.

Ocean city is one of our favorite places. There is something for everyone to do! We have been going for years and love it!

Good for families, especially with smaller kids. Good assortment of different things to do, shop, eat. Depending on which day you go, you can get free on-street parking within a short walk. Otherwise plan to pay meters or lot attendants.

Wonderful all around experience, well maintained beach and boardwalk, no bad experience with gulls, children enjoyed amusement rides. Highly recommend to visit.

Ocean City boardwalk is a fantastic place to take the entire family! With tons of shops that check out everything from the beach treasures to a Christmas shop. Make sure to hit some of the famous go-tos like the pizza places and various candy stores. Even if you’re not going to purchase something, it’s just great to walk on the boardwalk!

...IMPORTANT QUALIFICATION AHEAD….
….well important for some people.
Here’s the thing. Ocean Beach City is a terrific family resort town. A fair bit of its success and attraction must be put down by the decision of town elders back in the day to make the area DRY. Yeah baby, you can’t get a drink here – which accounts for my qualification that the boardwalk has something for ALMOST everyone. Boozehound Bondine will not be whelmed.
See unlike the very similar ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK** next barrier island north, there are no bars or cafes/restaurants selling hard stuff. Probably for the same family-friendly reason, I saw no casinos or those dodgy fortune-telling joints.
Now I like a drink as much as most losers but I have to admit I didn’t mind the fun family-orientated atmosphere at OC BOARDWALK when I visited on LABOR DAY weekend.
TIPS
- NO SHORTAGE of fun-fairs, eats joints, places selling the usual touristy clothing, mementos and stuff.
- - ACCESS: lotsa curbside parking plus paid lots in the streets behind the boardwalk. I came down from ATLANTIC CITY by regular bus in a little over 30mins. Of course a lot of you will be staying in near-beach holiday accommodation from where it’s a relatively short walk
- BICYCLING seems much more popular than at ATLANTIC CITY. My arrival around 10.30am saw a heap of normal and those family buggies (“surries”) cruising their designated lanes. Note they have to vacate the boardwalk by 12 noon, something made very clear by PA announcements. This rule is relaxed after Sept 20.
There’s several bike rental places on and near the boardwalk.

The Police deserve the most credit here. excellent job is keeping this a safe, and friendly town. Many kids but everyone was respectful, didn't hear one curse and we walked the board walk three times.

The boardwalk is clean and well maintained. The vendors are respectful and T-Shirts with foul language, for example, are not on display.

I was really surprised it's a cute island town people are nice and hotel was really nice. I just wish it hadn't been during a pandemic but in all it was a good relaxing weekend. I would go again and stay in the same hotel which was right on the beach/boardwalk with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I enjoyed so much that my co-worker and her husband and his twin brother and his wife went and enjoyed it.

Ocean city NJ is a dry town, so be prepared that local restaurants will not offer drinks, but Sommers Point just across the bridge may be a better option is this a must for you. This beach town is smaller than some of the other towns on the Jersey shore and is more family friendly than some of the others. There is less distance to the ocean, which makes it a little easier than lugging all your beach supplies close to the water like Wildwood, but it can make for a very crowded day during the summer months.

10 percent of people were wearing masks. Not even all of the police officers were wearing face coverings so how could they enforce safety. It was so disappointing.
Nice variety of stores and places to eat
I enjoyed walking the boardwalk both the part with the stores and the part without. Beautiful views of the beach. A water fountain at the one end. Not just touristy stores but other stores as well. At 9:20 am in front of the water park at 9th Street they have a flag raising ceremony each day. Enjoy the boardwalk.
