By Rodalita B |

LUMMUS PARK THE BEST PART OF THE ROAD.

Bars and restaurant at the area it was a fabulous descent foods and great cocktails to served..best famous Ocean Drive. You can enjoy hop and dance the night away in the nightclubs..lovely place to explore

Nice to see….but premium prices

By Peter1Northampton |

We stayed on ocean drive and it’s nice to walk along plenty of people to watch. It’s very expensive to eat and drink at restaurants on ocean drive and added service charge on the bill. €9 for a domestic bottle of beer before tax and service! If your a tourist seek out the Yard House on Lennox and happy hour. Comfort food at decent prices and great discounted drinks!

Biggest rip off, stay away in the evenings

By Gav Boden |

Drinks are ridiculously priced, $25 for a beer, menus in every restaurant almost the same. Prices for drinks on the menus are for the smallest drinks ever. Entertainment is really good but itll cost you.

Stay 2 blocks back from the beach and you will have a great night at normal Miami prices

Mesmerizing

By Ashish GAJJAR |

keep you camera ready for lovely pics to be taken with breath taking cars, and views , worth the walk

A single day is not enough to visit it

By Stephen Jackson |

A single day is not enough to visit it, get to know it and enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend going back on more than one occasion. It is an excellent plan to do as a couple, if you like to walk. Also, is a popular place.

Ocean Drive

By Ray |

With the grand name like "Ocean Drive" you expect a long stretch of winding coastal highway with the views to die for but you can walk up and down this road in 10 minutes.

Secondly it's not a classy place with high standards. It's for people with very low or no taste and for those who go to Bangkok and Dubai for honeymoon. You can only enjoy here if you have no morales and just like to party all the time.

Bangkok, Ibiza, Dubai, Times Sq NYC, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, LA and other sin cities fall in the same touristy category. Been there once and have no wish to go there again.

Miami's major thoroughfare

By Taylor B |

Ocean Drive is a promenade found in the part of the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach, Florida, where all of the images you have of Miami are made into reality--bronzed bodies rollerskating along the oceanfront, white sand beaches, tropical fruit cocktails, iconic Latin music made famous by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, restaurants, bars and art deco buildings. The road starts at South Pointe just south of 1st Street, near the southernmost end of the main barrier island of Miami Beach, about a quarter-mile west of the Atlantic Ocean. It continues north to 15th Street, immediately southeast of Lincoln Road. Developed in the 1920s and 1930s, the 1.3-mile-long street is the center of the Miami Art Deco District, which contains about 900 preserved and restored buildings and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Among the notable structures on Ocean Drive are the 1939 Colony Hotel, known as the most photographed art deco hotel; the Clevelander Hotel with its indoor sports lounge, dance floor, pool area and roof-top lounge; the Carlyle Hotel; the Sunray Apartments, featured in the movie Scarface; the famed Casa Casuarina, the residence of the late Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace, now a boutique hotel and one of the most photographed houses in North America; Mango's Tropical Cafe, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant and one of the most popular eateries on the strip; and the Palace Bar, known for its cabaret and drag queen shows and dedicated to the LGBTQ community.

Definitely Loud and Crazy

By gina g |

Glad we visited, but not a relaxing beach stay. We stayed at The Avalon, which was nice with great service.

Possession

By Gertrude |

There are people who flaunt their possessions in obscene way in this place. Real genuine people make way for fake peoe with lots of regard for themselves from themselves here.

Trashed......Dont Go!

By Evlengr |

Lets start by saying a year ago when i was there (02/2020) South Beach was beautiful and fun. Now it is disgusting and scary. A number of highlights for you to digest. First, the amount of pot smoke is beyond belief. I used to perform in the 90's and even opened for Rob Zombie and there is more weed being smoked everywhere than a rock concert. Its actually overwhelming. Second, bad actors travel in packs of 20 or more and are usually wasted out of their minds screaming falling or even urinating on trees. So in conclusion the trailer trash has essentially taken over what used to be unique, bizarre fun place and turned it into a nasty ghetto type environment. Last time I will ever go there. And I certainly wouldn't recommend it...Especially people with kids.

Totally overrated

By Christina R |

We expected a lot more. The beach was OK, but not outstanding and otherwise very poor. Venice Beach was much better back then.

Art Deco

By David B |

Loved our stay on South Beach in the Art Deco area. Miami might want to consider closing the street down permanently for walking ....

Very good

By Freire F |

Incrediblelllll
Ameiii

It was an incredible experience. I went to business and the structure and topppppppppp I loved it so much.
The food too

Really super Indian

Nice scenery but very loud and a lot of smoking

By Doug M |

We had a nice long weekend to Miami Beach, we have never been and it was nice to see a new part of the country, Ocean Drive was probably about 1/2 to 2/3 of the businesses were open. A lot of different choices to eat and drink. The atmosphere is very loud and a lot of people are smoking. On Saturday Night June 13th We did not see any police presence, I assume this has to do with what has been going on in the country. I felt safe though because there were so many people and everyone was having a good time since the beaches had just opened a few days prior.

Buzzing!

By NicoleH-K |

Although buzzing at night, it's a lovely place durig the day too. You can walk from here to the beach and then all the way down the boardwalk to South Beach.

Had a blast

By Criz66 |

Road was blocked off…I don’t know if it is always that way, but it worked for us. So many restaurants and just kewl things to see. Highlight was seeing where the chainsaw scene was filmed for Scarface!! Now it is a CVS lol

People watching

By Renee P |

Great place to stroll and people watch! All a great place to take in the architectural art deco. And of course, EAT!!!

Bright colors

By Sarah R |

I have seen this area change over the years..from the 80s to today there has been a great and slow transformation. It is a lively, cheerful, young area.....full of Italians. I traveled around Florida without hearing Italian but then arrived here I felt like I was in Italy! The places are many and for every taste. Loud music, bright colors ... certainly the art deco buildings deserve especially if you admire the pastel colors with the green of the flora (and the bright green of the fauna ..... iguana everywhere!) and the color of the sea. You can't go to Florida without passing by Ocean drive but Florida also has so much more to offer!

got to go there at least once if you're staying in Miami - iconic!

By Catherine Y |

Lots of restaurants / cafes. The front line as to be expected is a little more expensive than off the beaten track options, but good fun.

top area to stroll around looking for bars and restaurants

By Hans |

top area to stroll around looking for bars and restaurants during day and night, you can easily use also the free shuttle to go there

Beautiful.

By Mariia K |

Beautiful and the most popular tourist street in Miami Beach.
It really is the atmosphere of the famous Vice City gaming city. Atmospheric.

Different Vibe in Day and Night Visits

By TheLeongOhana |

The main portion of Ocean Drive in the was converted over for pedestrians only.

During the daytime, it was quiet and nice especially allowing one to take time and just explore the Art Deco hotels and area. No traffic jams caused by cars slowing down and backing up traffic (unlike my first visit a long time ago).

At nighttime, there were significantly more people out walking and milling around with the bars and restaurants packed. Seating extended out from the hotels and into the streets. Live entertainment from bands, soloists or big screen TVs created a raucous atmosphere at some of the hotels. The Clevelander and the Palace Bar were some of the busiest.

Popping!

By Eve212015 |

Ocean drive is the place to be in south beach. Amazing restaurants, lounges, clubs, excellent for people watching.

A magnificent place

By Stefano T |

I am a travel agent and I was in Miami Beach for a tour with a group. Ocean Drive is a street full of joy and vitality for its various places with characteristic food, music and shows, but also for its huge white sand beach and Atlantic Ocean transparent. I recommend spending at least one or more days here to relax and have fun. The buildings are in Art Deco. Until late in the evening there will be music, food and joy

People watching taken to the extreme

By JACSUK |

Ocean drive attracts a certain type of people, those that generally have no inhibitions!!! Never seen so many butt cheeks in one place. Don't go if you're easily shocked. My friend did say that if he wanted to wear a mankini in a public place, this where he should do it!!!

Energetic and fun

By Katie A |

Restaurants on ocean drive are nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Most restaurants include 20% gratuity in your check. Cost is around $16-$50 a person. Drinks are $20 and up. Beach is right there, and Lummus park. Goos for families during the day not so much in the evening.

Saturday night in January - WOW!

By Herb M |

We walked along Ocean Drive on Saturday evening at about 5PM. We stopped at one of the cafes for a drink and a snack, before going to dinner on Collins.Ocean Drive is one of the great people viewing settings anywhere. People are in various states of dress-undress, and body shape does not stop them from exhibiting. In addition to the people, there are some incredible cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles passing by. It is a challenge to decide whether to watch the people or the cars. Some of the bars have entertainment which is also showy - some are very loud. If you choose to eat on Lincoln Road expect this hectic circus-like atmosphere.

Ghost town

By Blonz B |

As a New Yorker, this place is over rated. Ghost town since cover-19. Save ur money and order ubereats. Overpriced ghost town

Fine for a day

By Bcrots88 |

We went for the day and left in the evening when it got wild. It is not family friendly. It has so much potential to be an awesome place, but there is so much pot smoking and drinking its ridiculous. I wouldn't stay here. It didn't feel very safe.

Hoppin'

By TravelinGal2010 |

We drove down Ocean Drive in the morning, then returned in the evening for dinner. Driving there in daylight enabled us to enjoy the varying architecture. After dark the area is hoppin'. Music spills from many restaurants, which appeared to be full with lively patrons. Palm trees are wrapped with lights of varying colors, creating a colorful atmosphere. The area was very clean.

Unmissable walk

By Cecilia L |

It is a street full of bars and full of life both day and night. At night it is a sight itself by the luminaries of bars, hotels and restaurants. Prices are not cheap and it is usually crowded.

No cars no more

By Jackman1 |

Turned into pedestrian mall with expanded outdoor seating for restaurants. On one hand missed the car vibe cruising ocean drive but this is much better and much safer. Big police presence at night. Sad to see some hotels closed guessing from the pandemic and the iconic News Cafe closed

Used to be a chic place now it’ tacky and loud

By foxurs1 |

The change witnessed over the years since the early 1990s is not for the better but getting worse every year. Between 5th and 17th Street Ocean Drive has lost its charm. The once beautiful and exclusive hotels now have a noisy Median food front where it is a waste of money to stay at these once beautiful Art Deco hotels. Why would you stay in any of these very expensive Art Deco hotels when it is so noisy and full of tourists day and night? Once a year during Art Deco weekend in early January this is a fun place to walk along when the whole of “Ocean” is blocked off between 5th and 13th Street. Something needs to be done about all those terrible Mexican restaurants along the Ocean Drive “strip” before people will decide to go elsewhere.

The hottest St in Sobe

By Andrés Blanco |

We were staying in a hotel in Ocean Dr so we had the opportunity of walking around during the day and at night time. Through the day this street is more quiet, more family friendly and better for eating. During the night all neon lights come on and the party atmosphere heat up. We are not from Miami but locals were saying that a different crowd is attracted to this part of Miami now so be safe and inform yourself before going.

Real-life movie ride along Ocean Drive

By Yoorch Ulyses |

To feel in a movie atmosphere. Walking along Ocean Drive, having a flavored daikiri, enjoying the music from the restaurants and bars in the area, seeing exotic cars and tanned bodies passing by. Highly recommended experience to get to know Miami South Beach.

Starlite Cafè

By Tina R |

Visit Starlite Cafè on Ocean Drive and ask for Lu. Great service, quick, sence of humor, not over the top and the prices are reasonable! Food and drinks were very nice, Highly recommendable!

Iconic Street

By 14221_TravelGal |

I love walking on Ocean drive, looking at all of the Art Deco hotels and shops. Lots of things to see.

The best of the best Miami spots

By Cláudio D |

Wonderful and welcoming place, with entertainment and restaurants for all tastes. Wide choice of “Boutique” hotels. Unparalleled and fun “VIBE”, I reiterate, for all tastes ‼️👍

Day and night

By Catherine G |

We walked along this street day and night. During the day, the many restaurants offer breakfast in the sun. There are also pretty art deco facades and in the evening with the neon lights of multiple colors it is very lively.

Stop over stay

By baskholm |

We stayed here at the Cordoza hotel on the way back to the UK. It’s well worth a few days and a good chill out. The food was good and the staff excellent

Beauty - people and art deco

By CJProma |

I love coming at night either to drive around with the top down or simply for a walk and check out the beauty of the art deco buildings lit up and the beauty of the people.

nice to walk around and eat

By Court |

Across from beach area, but you can't see the beach itself. Lots of vibrant restaurants and hotels. Check out the Versace mansion just to say you did. Expensive area.

walking or riding it is a good time!

By Joyce R |

We loved the Art Deco tour of this area and had a very informed guide who really knew the area. Would reccommend it anytime.

The best art deco strip

By Eva80 |

I love the art devo buildings located in Ocean drive
There are many movie locations like Scarface, badboys3, birdcage, dexter, Miami vice, step up and much more.
Palms tree all around the park and beautiful beach white sand .
Definitely a place to visit!!

Sparkling

By JulienRose |

We strolled along this iconic avenue during our day trip to Miami.
Ocean Drive is sumptuous, warm, with its buildings with characteristic shapes and colors.
Along the avenue you can find sports cars as well as vintage cars. Here you can breathe the "dolce vita" of Miami.

Chaotic fun

By Christopher T |

Went Superbowl weekend. As you would expect, it was chaos.
The atmosphere is really electric, bars, restaurants, beach or just cruise (slowly) by.

Disappointed ☹️

By norma s |

We were staying on ocean drive I loved tgi back in england but was disappointed as food and service was not so good . We sat outside the table was wobbly After ordering our drinks and food we got asked for a credit card the waiter said it was in case we left !! We obliged but felt uncomfortable doing so waited nearly 20 minutes for drinks to arrive .
When my ribs arrived the fries were cold having waited a while it seemed like the meal had sat waiting under a lamp . We were also asked for 20% gratuity which we paid . In england we tip on service if it’s good but when a gratuity is expected I don’t agree especially when the food and service wasn’t up to standards .

Amazing Art Deco

By NYCtoFL |

The architecture alone is worth a visit to South Beach. The art deco hotels are beautifully restored with great selection of good dining options.

Beautiful walk

By Pamela L |

Beautiful walk, I travel it at Christmas, at night it is beautiful, very picturesque with its colored lights, all careful to detail, with music. Very safe place to walk quietly!! To tour again and again!

The best location

By Juliana Paulino |

Whenever we come to Miami we stay on ocean drive, it's the most central, beautiful, dining options, souvenir shops, Italian gelatoes...

I'm a runner and I love the lighted path for bikes, skates, runners...

Very safe, nice and comfortable

Having the street block and restaurants spreading out on the street was nice.

By StealAway71 |

We were pleased to see how they managed social distancing for C19. There were plenty of cuisine options for most tastes.

Another city that never sleeps

By vepeters0n |

Weather and lots of outside dining. Love the lights and the food and shopping was very good. Night time was the fun time!

To be experienced both day and night

By marco_G_MIL |

Definitely worth experiencing both day and night. During the day it is quite quiet, it is also possible to visit the halls of some hotels and take a walk on the beach. At night madness transgression and lots of lights and music. The only constant between day and night is the high level of THC in the air.....

Centre of the Art Deco area of Miami

By peterlondon91 |

The Art Deco buildings have been significantly restored and are very striking. In the neighbourhood there is also restaurants, shops, hotels, bars, cafes.....

all you can do is get drunk

By annigoth11 |

Absolutely hate it there. All you can do is drink, the audience is horrible (and drunk) and it doesn’t feel safe anymore

FUN!!

By Jia |

Everyone and everything is happening !!! Many food options and the best part is that it is so alive all day and night!! Later in the evening entertainers come out and preform acts such as drag shows, dancers and singers.

Walk Ocean Drive

By EIB23 |

Ocean Drive is a beautiful place, a street with good restaurants and clubs. It's worth walking, enjoying the view. Palm trees and the proximity to the beach give the place charm.

Beautiful

By Simone S |

Charming and famous, it lives up to its name.
Place to enjoy, walk and feel the air of Miami.
Place to see old cars and art deco buildings in pastel colors.
Place to eat, have an ice cream or a drink.
A place even if just to browse souvenir shops.
And finally, a place to feel like you're in Miami.

A must visit while in Miami!!!

By Rub'z Schmidt |

Superb buildings, fantastic bars and a great place to watch the world go by!!! All the colourful neon lights at night are very magnificent to say the least!!! A must visit indeed!!!

Ocean Drive is a must when visiting SOBE

By Jesse R |

Walk it, drive it; which ever you do just enjoy it. Nice retro looking motel hotels on the beach front.
Be informed that everything on O.D costs more that elsewhere.

Ok

By Isaac B |

Not what it use to be. too crowded for us and full of tourists. not clean and some restaurants has lousy food and are over priced

Great architecture

By glamelza |

Fun, beautiful, gorgeous walk. Warning: if you're middle-aged, don't go during Spring Break! Loud, raucous, ?safe.

Must-see attractions

By Maty03 |

Beautiful street full of art deco hotels ‘that refers us to the glories of times gone by.
The scenery of countless movies or ocean drive TV series is a must for those visiting Miami.
In the evening light show and life.

Where u get to meet celebrities

By Amal K |

Over rated in my opinion. It is a nice walk with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. I went in the morning and couldn't spend more than 20 mins. Nice to go but not a must see

Great vibe & Nightlife

By Cliff A |

Such a vibrant energy emanating from each establishment. Fine looking dining estabishments as one walks down the street. Music and beautiful adornments make each eating and drinking place look stunning. Great lighting on the gorgeous art deco buildings. Street was mostly closed off to cars which is really nice for the walkers. Loved the area and had a great sit down meal.

Needs a clean up

By kayyy873 |

I was there for 8 days. It is nice but overrated. I'd Rather take a trip to the Caribbean than spend what I spent there for 8 days. If you are a woman traveling alone, do not Walk by yourself past 6pm. Alot of sketchy people hang out there . Last time I went, my mom and I believe some guys were trying to kidnap me on ocean drive. It was a slow night , very dark (not well lit)and no police . Perfect combo for sex traffickers to prey on women . I am glad I was not alone , but even then it was a scary situation . Be alert, and aware of your surroundings at night and go with people you TRUST. The food was good, nothing memorable , except the Gelato . It is very expensive $20 per meal but I learned to split with My mom and that saved us money . In the daytime it was awesome , besides the homeless people around that area . They need to crack down on that.

Birthday weekend

By Bronxbaby78 |

The atmosphere was good not the way it used to be years ago but it’s good for a night out in the town

A beautiful walk but too busy in the evening

By Bea |

A nice and famous street with wonderful art deco buildings. I loved the art deco buildings and the walk was beautiful. But the restaurants there were less than average and extremely over-priced, In the evening it was getting less and less interesting, hard music in various clubs just getting mixed and huge crowds of people.

So much to see and do!

By rusty_fwg |

Shopping, dining everywhere, right across from the beach!! What fun!
I felt secure as a tourist with the police presence, walking during the day and night alike several blocks to and from our hotel, The Angler.

Trendy neon street

By Michael |

Trendy busy street. Restaurants good but expensive. One tip is to take a drink or coffee on ocean drive and the dinner somewhere else.

A must do for the Miami vibe

By Veronica T |

A crazy stressful but ultimately rewarding experience, the art deco buildings, sports cars, beautiful people, tourists, lost 20 years of our life trying to navigate through the mayhem and needed a stiff drink after, but would do it again in a flash!

I❤️ Miami

By Magy256 |

Un mondo! Depending on the time you go you can see people jogging in the morning and more in the evening. I loved Miami! Review remained by mistake in drafts. Experience of 2017-2018

blight

By Kdubz |

The are seems to be going through gentrification. There is quite a bit of trash, unkept properties even abandoned ones owned by the city of Miami.

When in Miami: a must see!

By W.P. |

Impressive architecture saved by people with vision. A long strip of bustling activity and plenty to see and do for everyone

What the heck happened to this place ?

By HHIlovers |

This place changed. So very sad !
In the morning, it seems okay .. cute and charming ... until you take a closer look.
The freaks come out when they wake up around 1 pm. I was absolutely disgusted to see what used to be an iconic, classy part of town turn to trash. I was heartbroken for the business owners. Is it covid ? Defunding of the police ? It felt like Mardi Gras met the circus. I remember smelling the sweet scent of flowers in the air but that is replaced by weed.. it’s everywhere . Cops are everywhere too and police activity is at every block almost every hour. A shooting took place outside a restaurant one of the nights we were there. Homelessness across from a gorgeous hotel , a guy rapping into a megaphone while we try to take in some of the beauty that remains, overweight women barely dressed , a strip tease on a bar in the daylight , .. a cup of coffee with a shot of baileys , $28. Insane! Inmates running the asylum I would guess.

Very disappointing.

By Dennis R |

DO NOT GO!! We went for the first time in a couple years and it's become a ghetto! Large groups of thugs roaming the street, pot smoke everywhere, public urination, and it did not feel safe at all. It used to be one of our favorite day trips, but no longer. Another great tourist spot ruined...

BEAUTIFUL

By Adrian |

A visit to make. Beautiful scenery and people. The sea, the squirrels and the iguanas. You should not miss the beaches.

Come experience a great place while observing social distancing and Covid rules

By Lourdes |

We decided to come down anyway for this long planned trip after reading all the precautions being taken. The street being closed to cars was great. We could all socially distance and sit at many wonderful restaurants at their outdoor tables.
We walked all over and at different times and always felt safe. Use common sense and enjoy yourself. Wonderful scenery with Art Deco, great restaurants and hotels and friendly people. Lots of police presence too.

Where the people watching is the best!

By annmarie02151 |

Walking along Ocean Drive, There is so much to see. From the art deco hotels to restaurants galore, there are people to watch. across the street you will see people lifting weights and working out in the park. There are many people running, bike riding and walking. At night the place bustles with a variety of clientele

Unforgettable NY eve on Ocean Dr.

By BrakiWorldTraveler |

This was my third time in Miami Beach, but the very first I felt the New Year's atmosphere here.
The whole experience was out of this world: the entire Ocean Dr. was closed for traffic, all the way from 1st to 15th street. Thousands of people were there, all clubs and restaurants full, and all of them with their live music and performers entertaining those sitting, as well us, passers by. I think we had the advantage of those sitting, as we could walk from one to another when got enough, and had a great time at many well known establishments along.
All iconic Art Deco edifices where illuminated with their neon's and decorated in New Year's spirit. The parallel South beach was also full of people celebrating there.
We felt very safe and there was heavy police presence and had no problems at all.
Biggest problem was parking - we parked all the way down at South point, but that's understandable for such an event.

Always happy to be guests

By hanneloreKreuzriehe |

Everything you need for a holiday is there. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. Beach towels are available for free.
The way to the beach, just across the road, what more could you want.Guarded parking in front of the door, also affordable.Shopping for breakfast just around the corner.Bike rental across the street. The beds are a bit too soft but still bearable. Bathroom with shower and toiletries. We would love to come back.

Linda.

By PatriciaPessoa |

I liked very much .Linda avenida ...render wonderful photos .Excellent tour to do both on foot and by bicycle ...worth it .The art deco buildings are a touch more .At night good place to eat.

As a resident, why am I paying taxes for this chaos to continue year over year?

By Ed N |

Ode to Miami Beach!

‘Why not put off till Wednesday what you could do on a Monday?’

Two shootings in the past two nights? What’s the rush?! (Spring break out of control again but we have to wait 2 days until a state of emergency goes in effect?

Don’t come here… we’re busy firing the government.

City of Miami Beach Government

Supervia

By Vladimirto |

A beautiful street that runs along the beach, full of clubs for the evening and many restaurants to suit all budgets.

There is also some hotel but small with attached on the ground floor a room with places also outside.

It gets more populated in the evening

Trashy

By Heidi F |

Went over spring break so my review could be skewed because of that but Ocean Drive was crowded with shady people and hood rats. Not fun!

Amazing

By J L |

The place is buzzing, there's so much to see and do, across the road from the beach, its lively & fun all day and into the night

Ocean Drive

By PATRICIA VALOR |

Beautiful place to walk and observe well-maintained art deco buildings. I really liked Lummus Park. Everything organized and neat. A recommendable place

Most Famous Street

By Gloria L |

The only place where you can see 2 oceans - Atlantic Ocean & Ocean Drive. It's the most hashtagged street in the world according to Instagram and TikTok.

Ocean Drive: Art Deco & lunch

By AmyK2 |

The hype around Ocean Drive had me curious as I’ve only ever seen it in films or on TV. Is the beach truly across from it? Where’s the Versace Mansion? What’s close?

The art deco architecture truly is lovely, but sadly the strip reminds me of Spain or Turkey with every business wanting to sell you drinks, breakfast or lunch (The time of day we visited). How do you decide where to go when there is nothing that sets them apart.

Parking if you’re driving is a pain and be prepared to pay. You can find some spots on the street around. You will need to use an app or pay by phone (another one). Not sure how this works for international guests with no US phones. Three hours parking for us was $13 - not bad as some places were $30-50. Valet is available for a premium.

Strolling along the street is lovely just to take it in. I’d recommend going one way down and the up on the opposite side of the street - beach side.

You cannot miss the Versace Mansion and pay your respects to Gianni who was sadly murdered in 1997.

The beach is opposite OD so very easy to access and enjoy. The clock on the beach and art deco centre is also central on the OD.

The beach has people renting chairs and umbrellas, although I did not see how much. I’d guess a lot due to the area.

OD is clean and seems safe. Behind OD are other places to eat, drink and enjoy.

I’m sure it takes on a different shade of fun after dark with the lights and glam. We will save this for another visit or stay here.

Do your research and have fun!

Closed to cars so cafes can open! Great open air dining

By lim_Kaiser |

It’s closed from car traffic & allows the restaurants to open. Hopping place at night even with COVID19 restriction & curfew with easy access to the best beach boardwalk in the US. Love the people strolling & the families about during the daytime.

Must do walk when in Miami Beach

By Jeff K |

Nice must walk area. Loaded with restaurants with outside seating, stores mixed in, building like Vanderbilt Estate mixed in. Parks and beaches right there, Art Deco district welcome center. Pricey area, but worth the walk and a sit down drink to feel the vibe. Many types walking along drive. I was there on a Friday morning this time during Art Basel Week.

Perfect day and night life

By yaf111 |

The Place to be in Miami Beach, during day light you can spent lots of walking time to see beautiful art deco building and during night life, all different bars, great music, fun people, just perfect

Must see if you are going to Miami!

By Patou |

If you go to Miami, Ocean drive is a must with its arts deco buildings,
the atmosphere, the vegetation very present. You have to go during the day but also in the evening to discover the illuminations and listen to the different music. It is a really nice place where you can walk safely.

Loud and Offensive

By tomR0817 |

I thought Bourbon street was decadent. The behavior, the loud cars, the drugs and alcohol. Gee, what could go wrong? It is beautiful day and night but, don;t think you will get much sleep here. Cars racing up and down, constant police activity, soliciting from car to sidewalk and shameless dress. Ugh.

A fantastic street to visit when in town!

By Jen Travels |

So this is the street that Miami/South Beach is on.

Parking is actually pretty affordable; it's like $4-something an hour.
We lucked out and found one pretty quickly in front of Starbucks, but I can't guarantee you'll find one that's as close by as quickly as we did.

If you download the app you can add more time without having to go back to your spot.
We accidentally ran over a couple minutes, and it looks like they just extended our time so I'm hoping and praying we don't get a $70 ticket in the mail soon.

You can rent a manual bike for like $11 for 2 hours, per bike.
You can drop them off at any Citi bike location.
They each come with a basket in the front.

There are a lot of businesses on the street such as hotels and restaurants.

There's also a muscle beach, a playground and sand volleyball.

The section right in front of Miami Beach where the sign is, is where they have it closed off to non-motorists.

It's great for people riding bikes or segways, walking or rollerblading.
Not so great for motorists because there's a lot of parking, that is right along the beach.

There are several indoor bathrooms and outside showers for getting the sand off, located along Ocean Drive by the beach.

Is definitely a fantastic place to visit when sightseeing in Miami.

Definitely worth experiencing

By Deanna N |

Really fun to walk down Ocean Drive. Very touristy and all the restaurants were trying to get me and my 18 year old daughter to come in for happy hour and shots. We ended up deciding to eat brunch at a diner off Ocean as it was a little quieter. I could see coming back here another time for lunch and drinks though.

I’m in Miami B*tch

By Tiffany B |

It’s a beautiful place to visit. Come during the day. The pastel buildings, art deco buildings, the sun and white sand beach awaits you. The turquoise water with calm waves is as beautiful as the Caribbean, even though it’s the Atlantic Ocean. Come with your friends or your soulmate but leave by dark. Miami is no longer safe at night unless you go to Club Liv.

Great people watching

By mdgipsy |

This is the place to be to see and be seen. Lots of clubs and restaurants, you will not be board. Take time to look at all of the gorgeous buildings.

Beautiful!

By 202ajs |

We walked up and down Ocean Avenue multiple times during our days in Miami Beach. Definitely go at least once at night when the buildings’ lights are on—fabulous!

Disappointment in Miami

By Luciane Gonçalves Sismeiro Lopes |

The street is beautiful, but better go in the afternoon if you're with family
The night a lot of prostitution, strange people
I believe that if ever it was a glamorous place , lost glamour .
Abusive prices
I didn't like the experience

Obligatory passage but surprise!

By Stéphane D |

Passing through Hollywood Beach for 5 days/4 nights we get off at South Beach to drive along Ocean Drive. Surprise, the street is now one-way with a wide cycle lane. Many visitors get caught, as noted by the high number of cars turning at the roundabout to take the Collins, go back up and travel in the one-way direction (north-south). I understand the idea of limiting traffic but this street is now losing its character. In front of us a motorist leaves her car with a valet (double), the street is blocked for 5 minutes while we issue the coupon, pay the valet, change driver, leave with the car...impossible to get around the car immobilized by the obstacles put in place to delimit the lanes. The horns are heard quickly.

OCEAN DRIVE AT NIGHT

By sage97 |

They have blocked off the street for driving and parking. Now plenty of walking space and outside eating. Love Ocean drive.

Great place to see

By Shan B |

We went to Ocean drive most evenings while in Miami. There are many many great places to eat and some neat things to see.

Nothing to say, beautiful and very characteristic. Visit made in August 2024. Maybe I was expecting a bit more people, but maybe it had to depend on the time.

Pretty but Not the Safest

By Chloe Thomas |

Ocean Drive is a very pretty place that is full of colorful buildings. In addition, there are also places to shop. While this is the case, so many people are smoking pot and yelling at each other in an aggressive way. It’s not the best if you have children.

History, Beaches, Architecture and Most Importantly, FUN

By Grover R |

Ocean Drive is the center of Miami Beach with a little bit of everything, history, architecture, parks, beaches, signs and most importantly, fun. We visited Ocean Avenue on our first night in Miami to see the Art Deco architecture and the Miami Beach sign, but really to soak up the fun nightlife as we visited a couple of bars before our dinner reservations at Joe's Stone Crab. We hit three completely different bars with totally different experiences, but they were all fun.

One was indoors in a hotel where the pool was directly above us with a glass ceiling. One was an open-air bar, and the final one was a courtyard bar with music and dancing. While we visited more at happy hour, it was a great deal of fun for our group of 10. If you are on the upper end of the age spectrum, an early evening bar visit can be a lot of fun without the craziness that can come late at night. Additionally, you get to see the Art Deco in both the light and twilight so you can see the building but also the neon. For me sunset is the best time and don't forget to visit the Miami Beach sign in Lummus Park which is perfect for pictures as well.

Iconic

By Wombling_Free_7548 |

Iconic Miami - go for the Art Deco architecture and the people watching. Road was shut to traffic so no fancy cars cruising up and down sadly.

Classic

I have been a huge fan of SoBe and Ocean Drive since the mid-90s.

Great sightseeing day or night. There's always something to see.

I hope someone revives the Tides. Such a great location and history.

Great place for a day out or weekend

By Robinjohn66 |

Fantastic art deco buildings,
Very very clean , lots of police, made you feel very safe.
The beach was clean and very well maintained.
Lots of public toilets and showers to clean off after a visit to the beach.
Lots of bars restaurants etc.
A really lovely day had by all.

Check off the list.

By Rlena |

The beach itself was very expansive with the right amount of sand and a warm wind from the ocean. Plenty of room to pitch an umbrella and lay out. I prefer to visit the beach up the line because its much quieter. Beautiful hotel fronts with their art deco facades take us to a bygone era. Many bars and eateries along Ocean Drive strictly for pedestrian traffic.

Otherwise my experience was average. Establishments could be a bit more humble and stop with the pretentiousness. There needs to be a stronger police presence as noted by another reviewer. There was a concern about drug sellers and EDPs walking around. There were also a number of hotels and restaurants that were vacant. Large crowds also gather to watch and partake in performances which is also a concern from a Covid point-of-view.

Nevertheless, for those who are staying far north of Miami Beach, particularly in hotels along Collins and Indian River, grab the trolley because its free, mask required. You can track the trolley. You can also take the bus for a small fee. Cash or with a pass.

Step back in time

By BigMerk |

I visited here around 10am on a weekday. The street is very pedestrian-friendly and it’s great to walk on either side. On one side are a collection of fantastic Art Deco style buildings (mainly small hotels) and on the other is the beach front. The whole ambience is calm and it’s really like walking down the street in the early 1900’s. Well worth a visit

Excellent

Busy street

By Travelingourworld |

It was nice to visit Miami Beach and see what is all about it. There was traffic for sure but the street is nice.

Disgusting, unsafe, never again

By Janette H |

South beach was one of our favorite US destinations. It was so full of vibrant people, cool cars and the vibe was so fun.

This time, everything has changed, disgusting, dark and scary. No traffic so the minimal night lighting does nothing. Drugs everywhere, homelessness even worse. Turn Ocean Drive into a dark back alley and that’s exactly what you get a bunch of ghetto hood rats, carrying guns, selling drugs and females basically nude wondering around high and drunk.

No police presence, I don’t blame them, they aren’t paid enough to risk their lives in that mess.

Never again!

Funny

By Nana Piesie |

We took some drinks and just people watched . It was funny to see people flashing their cars etc ...

Iconic Miami Beach Street

By Paul O |

This is the iconic street in Miami Beach full of art deco buildings, bars and restaurants. It is also next to the beach.

Expect to pay top end prices (e.g $20 cocktails etc) for food and drinks. Try and come out for Happy Hour which in most places is between 4 and 7pm.

It is also a good place for people watching

Overrated imho

By Aris v M. |

This might be the “place-to-be” when visiting Miami for a lot of folks. I was quickly done with it tho. Lot’s of slow-driving cars pumping loud beats and plenty of too expensive bars and restaurants to choose from.

Ocean Drive

By Scott & Jen Harrison |

Ocean drive is really awesome! You can walk to the beach, there are so many people. So many nice cars to look at. Restaurants, ice cream, coffee oh my everywhere. The beach is on the other side. Also so many options for getting your steps in! Loved being in this area!

Iconic location.

By Peter W |

We stayed at the Tony Hotel just off Ocean Drive for 2 nights before our Caribbean cruise.
Ocean Drive was a collection of Art Deco style properties, hotels, bars and restaurants of all types and standards.
The evenings were great for sitting and people watching with a procession of expensive cars cruising the Drive.
Iconic location, we’ll worth a visit.

It’s a walk to do if or if, both day and night, but I recognize that at night it’s more picturesque for the lights.
By day it is good if you take advantage and go to the beach and then walk for a while.

Magical place. I came with high expectations but it's actually much better live. Art Deco buildings are a must (must visit)

COVID !( warning)

Everything here is expensive and it's a party scene vibe. Since COVID 19 everything closes at 12 pm so If you want to go out you have to get an early start.

What a vibrant Art Deco Street - great!

By Stefan V |

This is the best place in Miami. Safe, vibrant and what an atmosphere. This is travelling back in time to Miami Vice, The Birdcage and other top movies or series. There are beautiful Art Deco hotels in this street or Collins Avenue. In the morning it is great to run along the boulevard next to the beach and harbour. When visiting Miami a MUST DO!!!

High astral walk

By Vanverano |

It is a delight to see the seafront and walk the Ocean drive. We dined at an Italian restaurant called Kantina, next to Versace's house (now a restaurant). Tasty risotto and impeccable service. There are several souvenir shops and a beautiful store with clothes for celebrities and presenters, with a lot of gloss. I recommend the tour, the place is full of glamour.

Better than the pictures

By William S |

This is the Art Deco strip, and it is something to see. And hear! There is music all over the place, and rumbling muscle cars and other traffic noise. The street lights up at night--all different kinds of neon, a spectacular view.

The walk along the beach is spectacular

Great Walking Road

By Maureen R |

We loved the fact that automobile traffic is excluded from this road, making outdoor dining a pleasure! Strolling this beautiful street in the evening, admiring the gorgeous art deco hotels and ending up at an outdoor cafe for dinner is a perfect way to spend an evening in South Beach.

I live here and wont go after 8pm. What am i saying, i avoid it all the time

Total tourist must, its iconic

By Dicko13 |

I mean you don't go to Miami and not go see the icon architecture! Drive, walk, bike, even get a tour in a classic convertible. Its a must.

Ocean Drive - what else :)

By Patrick |

Probably the most iconic street in South Beach.
Great for a stroll on the boardwalk, offers lots of restaurants and bars. Anything from boutique to drag queen shows to big chains. Food quality is not the best in Miami (South Beach), but Ocean Drive is definitely fun and a place to visit.

Beautiful Nostalgic Buildings

By Matt S |

Walked the entire drive. Beautiful old building that were very well maintained. Lots of parks, restaurants and places to see.

Cool

By BJ H |

The place to go to see lots of cool architecture. Many hotels and eateries with different styles and characters.

Great in Daylight; Club at Night

By Katie B |

A great street to walk along in the daylight. The buildings are cool and there are plenty of restaurants (though overpriced). It is cool having the beach right there!

At night, it has the feel of a club, but on the entire street. If you don't like the party scene, stay on the beach or in your hotel room after it gets dark. If traveling with kids, I would recommend staying in after dark, or get ready to explain to the kids about drunkenness. We walked around past dark, but I wouldn't have done so without my husband. This was true even at 7 pm, as the sun sets earlier in February.

Beautiful beaches, people, and tropical drinks in Miami

Miami’s most iconic street with its art deco hotels and its unique bling bling atmosphere. We went there day and night for a completely different atmosphere.

Sights to See

By Pia H |

Prime location for walking and site seeing. Steps from the beach and great cute outdoor dining restaurants.

Restaurants

By Ross A |

Lots of restaurants pushed out to the street. We did find that most res had the same menu. Very pricey, but you are at the beach. Very noisy on the weekends, nice and enjoyable Monday through Thursday

There is always something happening here

By Magnar Mo |

I love walking along Ocean Drive at any time if the day. Seeing the cuty wake up, having breakfast in one if the many local restaurants or just feeling the pulse of the place in the evenings. The street with its art deco buildings is just beautiful.

Iconic

By Adrian D |

My most recent visit to Ocean Drive was during an enforced overnight stay in Miami due to flight issues. I've stayed on Ocean Drive before however this visit was just for a post dinner walk on the eve of America's Independence Day. We made the wise choice of walking along on the beach side of the road which provided better views of the buildings and got us away from the crowds on the other side. There's always an interesting vibe on Ocean Drive whether you're there in the evening or watching the sunrise over the beach. It's definitely the kind of place you have to experience for yourself.

Beautiful walk

By Georges D |

Beautiful walk between the city and the beach.
Street off limits to cars.
Accessible bike path.
You can walk and contemplate the park, the promenade, the road and especially the Art Deco houses / restaurants!

‘Quiet’ attractive street!

By Jan V |

Nice street with lots of entertainment, but above all much less hectic / busy than expected. Hospitality on one side, on the other side only hotel / park-like / sports fields. We found the whole very attractive.

LOVELY PLACE BUT NEED SOME DOLLAR

By myfamilylincs |

Lovely place to visit, plenty of bars and restaurants, great views , lovely cars . But you need some dollar to live and go out here , but it’s an experience

Bust south beach strip

By soniavbuk |

Ocean Drive is infamous. This lovely strip of road running about 10-12 blocks in South Beach is the place to be seen in your luxury sports car or open top cruiser. The bars and restaurants are packed with people watchers and you can look out through the palms towards the beach and Atlantic Ocean. When the sun is shining this is the place to be.

A must visit destination night and day when in Miami.

To do!

By L. |

Ocean Drive mythical avenue! Perfect for strolling and enjoying the show! After walking up the avenue and observing the architecture. We advise you to sit on a terrace for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

Miami Beach glam

By Heine Husted H |

This is really as overexploited and commercialized as it gets, even in a city like Miami, but it is absolutely stunning. cannot imagine what this would have been like before it was made a carnival of glitter and neon, back when is was just the beating heart of Miami Beach and not just a tourist trap. But the beach is nice, the scenery impeccable. But the food and drink, mediocre.

Fun Atmosphere and Great for Walking!

By bryling001 |

Ocean Drive was an excellent place to visit in Miami before our family took our flight home at the nearby airport. We enjoyed walking on the street to admire the colorful Art Deco buildings, as well as strolling on the beach just a few steps away. We definitely see the appeal of visiting the area for a longer stay. Ocean Drive was very well kept and also had many restaurants and high-end hotels. We hope to visit here again in the future.

Hustle and bustle and people

By frugalarnie |

Ocean Drive with all its shops, restaurants, and hotels is THE happening place in South Beach. Closed to traffic as a pedestrian walkway, it's bordered by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean ans the many restaurants and shops. And for people watching...it's incredible. Walk, eat, shop, relax at the park between the street and Ocean. You'll be happy.

Architecture is stunning.

By GinneyRose45 |

A walk along here is a must. The beautiful buildings are well preserved. From the Versace house, now a hotel, to cheap gift shops, all are so tasteful on the outside. Most restaurants have valet parking. Good tourist information centre with a lovely Art Deco Shop.

So terribly sad!

By Karen |

The last time I was here, about 7 years ago, I was in awe of how beautiful the restaurants, hotels and people were. I couldn’t wait to go back. Today, it’s a nasty, trashy place. I don’t care if I ever go back. I’ve never seen so much filth. Might as well put stripper poles up and down the road, then at least I’d know what to expect. I’m so sad and disappointed.

Ocean Drive The soul of South Beach

By Faboarg |

The postcard of Miami South Beach, an iconic artery to explore several times during your stay, both day and night.
Beautiful gastronomic places, typical art deco buildings, to be done on foot or at your leisure by vehicle. Mandatory walk if you are in the area.

WALK ON OCEAN DRIVE

By Luis Fernando V |

Now Ocean drive is exclusive for pedestrians. That is the nicest thing in South Beach. You can ride a bike, skates or simple walk.

A must see of Archetectural wonder when in South Beach

By Arty_mom |

You must take some time to walk along Ocean deive. All the biutique hotels are a site to see. So many are Art Deco. I recommend you do a walk during the day and again at night because the neon lights highlight the archectural aspects differently. There are lots of eateries with outdoor seats, and the street has been closed between 6th up past 10th since the pandemic started. Don't forget to stop at the Art Deco Welcome Center and Museum.
Great place for people watching along Lummins park and lots of acceas to South Beach from Ocean

Walk the Drive

By Roy K |

Ocean Drive is worth the walk, especially at night, with all the Art Deco buildings aglow in colored lights.

Like in the movies!

By Catalin O |

We enjoyed the ocean, the hotels with the outdoor terraces!
Clean! Police always around so you feel very safe!
Loved the clock!

Great place to walk

By ofbulldog |

Lots of things to see including places and people. The police presence was felt everywhere. I counted at night at least 30 officers walking around and more on 4 wheelers. The police were very well trained and were non confrontational and did a great job keeping everything in order. Because of the hype many people just hang out and the clientele can be rough.

Average

By Erycah |

Just too many restaurants & not enough historic sites\museums. I would walk for an hour then leave because there's not much there unless you're looking to just drink.

Every destination has its iconic street, and in South Beach it’s all about Ocean Drive.

By Travelandexplore |

Every destination has its iconic street, and in South Beach it’s all about Ocean Drive. Set right along the beach, Ocean Drive is full of gorgeous views and many dining options; there’s no shortage of things to see and do when visiting this lively street that’s the heart of the Art Deco Historic District. A lovely place for a run in the morning. Grab a drink or a bite to eat and soak up the atmosphere. Yes, it can be loud and touristy but it has a cool vibe too.

Happy Place

By carskum |

Pricey and overrated restaurants compete for tourist dollars in a perfect beach and board-walk setting. It is a happening place for people watching, savoring the best of Miami-beach and the center of town for New Year celebrations (and pretty much every night).

Stay away at night!

By PG A |

During the day, rent a bike and you can appreciate the beautiful architecture. Stay away at night during spring break, basically the first few weeks of March. Lowest class of spring breakers, more trash walking the streets than in the streets. When did ill fitting bikinis and way too low sling pants become the norm for dinner attire?

Still a happening place

By Rosgriffin |

Restaurants and nightlife are galore with plenty of live entertainment. Weekends are crowded with the Hip Hop crowd but calmer and less stressed on weekdays with older patrons and families.

Retro Glam in Tropics

By Reggie Cates |

Strolling down Ocean Drive feels like stepping onto the set of a classic Hollywood film. The vibrant pastel-colored buildings adorned with sleek lines and intricate details evoke a sense of nostalgia and sophistication. Each facade tells a story of Miami Beach's rich history, from its glamorous heyday to its resurgence as a modern-day hotspot.

By luis i |

Miami Beach’s landmark street, iconic from Miami Vice, the hotels that line the street take on the pastel colors and Art Deco facades dear to the city.

The street is very lively in the evening and sports cars parade by bright colors and high engine speeds.

Nevertheless, it remains good-natured and closer to the-have-you-seen-me than to the crime.

Often expensive restaurants and sidewalks are often crowded.

Don’t miss the parked car that recalls that Scarface was shot in a nearby hotel

Being one of the most famous streets in Miami Beach, Ocean Drive a must if you´re spending your holidays in the Sunshine State.
This a very picturesque area, full of bars and restaurants for all tastes, from Mexican and Cuban food to the typical American cheeseburgers.
Walking down Ocean Drive is a great plan, not only it is beautiful but it is also free!
Go for a walk around 6 p.m. and enjoy watching the sunset beyond the sea. You can stay for some cool drinks and good music, you won´t regret it!

Variety of foods, great drinks and different restaurants to choose from. Be aware that all establishments automatically add a 20% surcharge to your bill. That percentage goes down to 18% I believe in Washington Street.

Vibrant nightlife

With its vibrant nightlife, numerous curbside restaurants, clubs and lounges, Ocean Drive is the place for people watching (not to mention the fancy cars). Stop in for a meal/drinks or simply stroll down the Drive. The clubs have amazing performances/live bands. I highly recommend.

Beautiful stroll

So different during the day and evening. Morning lovely to stroll and have a look at the ocean on one side and the wonderful Art Deco buildings on the other side. All the buildings so different and so many of them have been refurbished but have the same original features. Walk past the impressive Versace house too. The clock thermometer also near the green. Lovely to stop for a coffee and see the vintage cars too. In the evening it’s so colourful and lit up and buzzing with the bars.

A must-see in Miami Beach

Anyone visiting Miami and the surrounding area should definitely stop by Ocean Drive and let yourself be infected by the great and extraordinary atmosphere.

It absolutely belongs on every sightseeing plan.

Of course, many things are a bit more expensive than elsewhere in the city, but here it is also about seeing and being seen.

Sadly, it’s not in the Best Shape Anymore

By JulieFabris |

Ocean drive has always been one of our very favorite places to visit, having been here numerous times and we were excited to come visit again.

Unfortunately Covid has taken its toll. Many of the quaint, boutique hotels are closed/and or for sale. Many of the awesome stores on Collins Ave. are gone and the drink prices are way too high.... $25 for a Gin and Tonic....

But what really was sad was the Mass Pot Smoking.... it’s not even legal there and this is the 2nd vacation in a month and location where this has been an issue, so what’s going on? Are the police and security and businesses just afraid to enforce the law? The clientele has also completely changed, and not in a good way.... It is really sad if this is what becomes of this amazing and historic area.

I think the city council needs to come together to find ways to start addressing the demise of Ocean Drive because it is clearly happening.

Mango’s is closed after 29 years and The Clevelander is under new Management so that was disappointing and they need to stop playing all the same music

The beaches are still really nice, and there are some nice places to eat yet, we didn’t feel in danger going out at night, it’s just not the same, cool Professional and Classy vibe anymore.

Love this street

By don_Chiapo |

Very animated street especially evening time with a lot of bars and pub enjoying a Latino ambiance it's a must in Miami

Potheads, Posers and Prostitutes

By NYTravelerBD |

Ocean Drive has pretty and iconic art deco architecture, but the scene there even during the daytime is not remotely family friendly. First of all, people were openly smoking weed in public absolutely everywhere, which was a huge turn off, particularly when travelling with a child.

Second, every 20 yards or so there was some numbskulled "influencer" posing with $200,000 cars and looking like extreme poser morons. Third, I know the area is frequented by prostitutes at night, but many of the outfits worn there at 1 p.m. on a Thursday are absolutely outrageous and confused me as to who was for sale and who was just scantily clad. At one point my wife commented that a women's backside had only a string of "dental floss" on it, as we could see her entire basically nude rear end.

I'm all for young people to have a nightclub/party scene at night, but during the daytime I was appalled by what I saw on Ocean Drive. So trashy.

Feels like will meet up Tony Montana, in Scarface movie!

By PabloMGuima |

Art Deco building and such beautiful gardens make Miami Beach, especially Ocean Drive, a very comfortable and nice place to walk around during the day!

Iconic Miami Beach

By FT313 |

I felt very safe walking along the whole length of Ocean Drive. Park rangers and police patrols are present. It is a great place for people watching. Women and men can feel comfortable wearing body baring outfits. After all, it is right off the beach, so wearing cheeky bikinis and thongs and even g-strings is part of the usual scenery. Semi-transparent dresses or coverups over a swimsuit are popular, too. Traffic is in one direction only, with the other lane reserved for bikes and scooters and just walking.

A large number of the classic art deco style building are here. Lummus Park next to the street is large so it feels uncrowded, with a sidewalk next the the street and the boardwalk on the other side, so you have plenty of room and good views of the buildings and the action. There are numerous restaurants with outdoor seating for watching the parade of people.

Nice place

By Ellen |

Nice place to visit everywhere and at night when the buildings are beautifully lit. Large, expensive cars drive up and down and ladies with taut faces and bodies stroll across the street. Fun to people watch.

Spent 4 days here, our hotel was right off south beach . You can walk to beach. We saw the strip in day and light up at night. See both. Enjoy the art deco buildings. A very hip area, stayed at the beach all day.

The best places

By Getaway11045533559 |

Miami's Ocean Drive is an extraordinary and scenic street lined with emerald waters and Art Deco architecture. It’s the perfect place to be open and refreshing by day, neon glows and glamorizes by night, and feel Miami-like exhilaration just by walking.

To see in the evening

By yves |

Long avenue in Miami that is the highlight of the show when visiting this city. Built in the 20s-30s and in a tropical and relatively basic art deco style, without great varieties of the above-mentioned style. There are restaurants lined up next to each other made up of folding machines that promise you the best pizzas in the world at the best price. Surprisingly most are half empty, even with the music full pots... Sweet feeling of being in the Canary Islands.
There are also hystericals on bikes who think they are the kings of the world and who will not hesitate to crush you so that they do not stop so that their beautiful muscle does not gain a gram more.
2 little tricks:
Going there at the end of the day and in the evening is more lively and the spots on the facades improve the beauty of the street.
Stopping at No. 728 or was shot a mythical scene of chainsaw cutting in the movie “Scarface”, today it is a pharmacy...

Lovely

By Randee L |

They have worked hard to preserve the tropical feel and art decor designs. Expect a lot of tourists walking down the drive. Very international.

Not to be missed

By Paolo Carboni |

The most well-known, iconic, cinematic and worldly Miami is here! We walked it both during the day and in the evening, and it was always teeming with life, entertainment, music. A truly pleasant stop and not to be missed.

Great Sunday afternoon concert in Lummus Park on Ocean Drive across from the Ocean Plaza and Betsy Ross Hotel

By Steve S |

Staying in the Ocean Plaza Hilton Club was a delightful way to experience Ocean Drive, Lummus Park, ocean beach and the art deco community and festival.

An unexpected treat was the Sunday afternoon concert in the park from 5 to 6:30. We heard an amazing string quartet and understand there are different artists booked through the rest of the year.

Not like it used to be.

By Jlove |

South Beach Miami, is not what it used to be. There are alot of more homeless people. More ratchet people. More expensive, overly priced restaurants on the strip. The only place i love to go and eat is Puerto Sagua, good and food and price is great.

lovely architecture

By John S |

well known district and land marks that are well worth seeing. The subject of films and songs it is so worth a trip down memory lane. Add she sunshine to this and the palm trees then you have a dream of a place to visit

Essential part of Art Deco district

By KestasKS |

You cannot miss it, as it is first an essential part of Art Deco district. Restaurants, hotels, bars, cars etc

Call that street!

By IngridLummy |

A very beautiful place, and pleasant to walk around.
The architecture is beautiful, colorful, cheerful. There are many remaining, bars, cafes, hotels. A part is closed to car passage.
There is a cycle path, and it faces the sea, but in the part where we walked, we couldn't see the sea, as there was a mountain of sand.
It's worth a walk there.

Covid friendly without taking away the fun

By Pamela Q |

I love how Ocean Drive in SoBe area is for pedestrians only. Plenty of space, easy to social distance.

When should I visit?

By Leo M |

Ocean drive used to be a nice place to visit and enjoy a walk , people watching, dinner , ice cream, etc . It’s now a zoo … full of crazy people going crazy things. It may be generational and young people behave differently than in the past . Is that us the case the. My perception is not accurate according to the current vibes we live in . Going down the pedestrian street I bikes doing crazy things … not normal
in my opinion.
Anyway maybe in the early part of the day I will visit again avoiding the late hours . Pick your time according to your likes.

Only worth to go for a walk in the morning - Avoid it at night at all costs!

By tonicocanto |

It's an ugly tourist trap!!

All of the beauty of the amazing Art Deco architecture dissolves around the most tacky collection of nightclubs, restaurants and cheap souvenir shops.

It's a stunning stretch of buildings, best seen in the morning when you go for a long walk on the boardwalk and stop at News Cafe for s mediocre breakfast.

This was an incredible place until the very early 2000s. After that, it became a collection of cheap bars with hustler promoters trying to get their menu close to your eyes, and bad loud music echoing all over the place. I feel sorry for those who choose hotels on Ocean Drive. It must be hell at night.

I expected more

By Larissa_Abracos |

I expected more. I had already heard so much about it that I was hoping for another experience. It's cute with several restaurants but it didn't captivate me that much. Worth a visit to take a photo

Nice buildings

By OZS_ATW |

If you love art deco than it is a mut to drive or walk along the Ocean Drive. The buildings are pretty nice and you can find plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Looking Great Ocean Drive ♡

By Ashley |

I've lived in Miami for 15 years-Ocean Drive looks more beautiful than ever. They have done a lot of work to the buildings and restaurants. If you haven't been in a while, definitely go check it out!! Looking great!

A great place to wander.

By Q2590BAgregoryl |

We walked everywhere we went in South Beach.
A let of restarants and cafes to pick from. ONe our favorites was Otentic, a frrench cafe. I even got a great haircut at the VIP Barbershop.

Good people watching

By Jasmin A |

Ocean Drive and surrounding area is a great area for eating, shopping and people watching. We are here in early April and all the crazy Spring Breakers are gone and it’s so chill with a good vibe.

Nice time in Miami Beach

By kukariamba |

We’re on ocean drive during our stay in Miami. Nice to go there and feel the spirit of Miami Beach with all the cafes

The highlight of my Florida trip

By Allan D |

I like action and this place has it. Food and drinks were good - a little pricey. I like to dance and that worked for me. The beach was better than I expected.

Art Deco dream

By Claudio |

We took a quick tour and loved all the Art Deco buildings that have been restored to their splendor. Faena the old Saxony Hotel is unbelievable.

Popular, glitzy, expensive, but lively

By kelseybundra |

Ocean drive is the place to be in Miami. See a drag show, take a night stroll on the beach, party it up, or have a nice sit down dinner. All this and more can be done at Ocean Drive. The setting is accepting and obviously LGBTQIA+ friendly but at times too touristy. Good luck trying to find decently priced drinks in this area.

Welcome to Miami!

By gatesey66 |

Incredible experience with faultless service and help thanks to Christina and Andrew; super room, location and stay-all you could hope for really. Nothing was too much trouble

great

By LisaMNUSA |

one side is beach and beach parks, another side is restraurants and hotels. walk along the beach side, so you can see art deco buildings better and be away from loud music from restaurants. it was too crowded and loud for me.

We too hyped

By Boris_ch_t |

What's in Miami? Right, a visit to Ocean Drive. We went through Ocean Drive from top to bottom and we think the best thing about the road is the name. Better than Ocean Drive itself is the path along the sea.

Old Miami feeling with beautiful views and soothing ambience

By Explore65497 |

Beautiful beaches with many smaller boutique shops, restaurants and parks

Would recommend anyone to come, even just to pass through, views are paradise

Lovely place to rest and enjoy

By Ana C |

Lovely place where you speak a lot in Spanish and full of lights at night, seems Christmas, very friendly people can not bore anyone, shops, music in restaurants etc.

Miami's iconic street

By uzmelissa |

Miami's most visited and worth to see street. It looks gorgeous even if it's early morning. You should absolutely go there for amazing Miami vibe.

The Main Artery of the South Beach

By Ebru A |

The Ocean Drive is not only the main route of the South Beach but also the center of attraction with various restaurants, bars, shops, and hotels. On one site of the Ocean Drive, you can enjoyed the beach facilities while other site offers many restaurants and bars with live music.

Very pretty!

By Ennio P |

Main avenue of Miami, in front of the beach, full of bars, restaurants and baladas, one of the postcards of Miami, very beautiful!

Colors and Lights

By rjk857 |

One should not hang at any one bar or restaurant too long.. there are so many places to see.. even if all you do is walk by. Best people watching place I've been to in a long time. Check it out.

Good area to explore

By leileireid |

I walked the length of Ocean Drive and it took about 1.5 hours in total - its a nice walk. I especially liked the market that was there with local products and also the parks along the way.

A Pleasure

By Rayray_93 |

Always fun visiting the strip. Food and drinks were amazing. So many restaurants, great scenery and very close to the beach.

Walk the east sidewalk, avoid restaurants.

By Joe K |

Walk Ocean Dr. for the atmosphere and old architecture, but for God's sake, don't eat there.
Walk it on the ocean side, not the hotel/restaurant side; all the sidewalk cafe's make for a noisy, crowded, curb-balancing walking obstacle course.
Avoid Ocean Dr. restaurants, they're terrible across the board. You'll likely be seated immediately adjacent to a steady stream of passers-by in various states of inebriation or oblivion. Service is apathetic and numerous restaurant workers told us in confidence that the kitchens in restaurants along Ocean Dr. are "DIS-GUSTING".

Picture perfect Miami nightlife

By meworldtraveller |

The lights and sounds of Miami nightlife is exactly what this was. The bars and clubs are crowded. The have really cleaned it up from the late 90s.

Fabulous place !

By L2TravelS |

Beautiful and interesting architecture. Here you can feel ”that real” Miami beach atmosphere. Absolutely worth of visiting!

DO NOT COME TO MIAMI BEACH

By lilpunky66 |

Run away, don’t walk! Actually don’t even come to Miami Beach at all. It’s a city first with a beach as a second thought. Nothing at all is laid back. Even with the free trolly it’s hard to get around. Everything is so over priced and hyped up. I heard so many good things from friends who visited in the past and then I wasted my money coming here. Not their fault since they had no idea how in the crap hole the place has fallen. Guess it’s just one more thing covid has ruined. Couldn’t get back on the plane home fast enough.

nice to see

By Stefania S |

the buildings are a trademark or this area and they are still well-preserved, though the colors are a bit pale...

Do not go anywhere near the place

By Derek R |

Very very dangerous vibe. I wouldn’t advise any white person to go there. The prices for food and drinks are criminal and because the prices include the tip the service is terrible!! Be warned!!

Nice experience, lots of people, restaurants and bars except parking places

By SakuKim |

We stayed a couple of days in an apartment very centrally located and close to the beach and the ocean drive walking street as it was luckily closed fro traffic. Visiting here for a few hours would not be enough if you really want to feel and see the atmosphere. Very nice to walk around, see the hotels and restaurants, visit the beach which certainly has space for everyone. This is not a destination if you want quite and relaxing, its rather live 24/7. Its also not a destination to come very close with a rental car as it will take ages to find a parking lot. We enjoyed!

Please clean this cultural nexus up

By G R |

I’m really surprised with the downturn I’ve seen in the last two years. Pot everywhere, people bring their own portable speakers to play extremely vulgar rap over the Spanish music, kids riding their bikes into people, every fifth word is either the N word, P word or F word, women yelling “hey hey hey” to their friends at the top of their lungs constantly, twerking contests at 3 in the morning, a huge lack of manners and decorum. This was a nice area with a fun Latin vibe. It has gone down hill; please clean it up and make it decent again.

NEVER AGAIN

By Bruna |

If for restaurants TO RUN AWAY!
They announce prices on cards that have nothing to do with the bill. However, I had seen on tripadvisor that you had to be careful and I tried anyway. Once not twice.
For a restaurant with 2 Caesar salads and two smoothies we paid $84….
The waitress was rude and took my card at the start of the order and left directly to pay with it without asking my permission. She added the tax without telling us.

Great hotel

By Marlene L |

Very nice hotel ideally located in Miami Beach. Beautiful rooms with full equipment, we had a great stay there. A very big thank you to Pino for his great service, good mood and smile.

Fun with friends

By sparkle519 |

This visit was during the curfew time. During the day and early evening it’s a great place to grab something to eat or just walk around. Hoping things go back to normal so that the area can be enjoyed later in the night. I’ve been here several times before and Ocean Drive has a great vibe. Can’t wait for it to get back to that .

Way over rated!

By Thomas1900 |

Too many woman with extremely huge butts and skimpy swim suits! Ick!!! Wear blinders if you go! Or better yet, don’t go! The days of seeing sexy woman are only in the ads here!!!

World-class people-watching venue

By bullshead |

Even if you're not staying in South Beach then Ocean Drive is somewhere you have to experience. As dusk falls the poseur-quotient goes of the scale.

Ocean drive

By Kay Smith |

I love that ocean drive is now open it really helps to not feel so clutter giving you an opportunity to do this whole social distance thing

Interesting

By runner24 |

We visited during a recent stay in southern Florida and really enjoyed it. Beautiful, older, well-maintained buildings. A pleasure wandering down Beach Street.

Ocean Drive in Miami Beach

By michaelaterence |

Street with one of the top notch restaurant and hotels..
Beautiful art deco buildings.. Massive park!
Lots of nightclubs..lovely place!

Anniversary 25 Years of Marriage

By claudio s |

In the place left as 25 back on the very local promenade where you eat and drink with the valet you pay to park your car or parking at multi-storey public parking you pay less than the promenade there are places with music outside that you can also dance

Unorginal and a bit sleezy

By Jeanette D |

The entire street was one after the other cheesy souvenir shop and restaurant with a picture menu out front and hosts harrassing you to come in. We were not very impressed.

Lively!

By MariTraveler2013 |

A lively strip with LOTS of different restaurants and live music venues. Across from the beach. Souvenirs shops and different tours are also available. Rent a bike, take a city tour bus or just walk it and take it all in! Great to people watch :-) You can find meter parking, private lots as well as city lots.

Always a pleasant walk or job

By HMR52 |

A lot happening on weekends and never ever regret taking a long walk here. People jogging, roller blading, bike riding along the promenade, and on the street no cars permitted.
Clean rest rooms on 14th street, Restaurants on every block.

Nice spot to stay

By Morgan Edwards |

Fun road to walk along. Lots of shops and restaurants and hotels along the way. Fancy cars drive nearby and fun to watch. Perfect road to stay by as it has so many restaurants and is close to the beach.

I expected more!

By Mau T |

Street with many bars and restaurants, luxury cars, loud sound, heavy traffic and a lot of people everywhere! No, it's not the coastline in the Carnival era in Brazil...rs. Honestly, I would not go again...but for those who like agitation, crowding and have one more to spend in the bars, ok! And there's a lot of people who really like it! In summary, the avenue resumes to that!

Boring

By Alexei M |

There is only 1 (one) dance club on the entire street. Tons of restaurants with outdoor seating, people trying to eat in a crowd that is moving around them.
A few bars to get drunk and more bored.
And a Walgreens store.
Save your time, don't go...

Love Miami

By Catt317 |

The total vibe walking up and down South Beach is an amazing experience. Then being able to just go to the beach and take in the beautiful views! Everyone should experience it once in life.

Dangerous and disgusting

By Cool Guy |

I’ve never been to a worse vacation spot in my entire life. There is absolutely nothing fun to do here. All of the restaurants and shops are dirty and rather disgusting. I honestly wouldn’t come back here if I was paid to do so. It’s not worth staying anywhere near ocean drive. At no point do I feel safe and relaxed. It’s a vile and disgusting place. DO NOT GO.

Do you like to swim ?

By Markéta Connie |

It was for once a good experience, don't expect guides to direct you like in Europe, you are there on your own. If you like the ocean it's a great destination to relax, ride bike, skate or just go for a walk ..

The Place to Be

By Jane4Jayne |

Nice hotels and restaurants. In the middle of all the fun and activities. Walking and biking distance to the Marina and Art Deco. I loved my stay here.

We had to forget trying to get there by car...

By Eyekaytoo |

We tried driving over here from the Brickell area of south Miami without success. The scenic route as described in the tourist guides just didn't seem to exist for us. As soon as we came anywhere close to Ocean Drive the road was blocked and we were directed to parallel roads where there was a load of traffic including many delivery vans servicing the plethora of restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. So we gave up.

If we'd had more time we would have tried to park the car somewhere (where?) and walk up to the beach. Oh well...

Magic

By Hermes |

World Heritage. The details are very beautiful, the materials, everything is delicious for the eyes. Calm down, too. Unforgettable.

Exciting at night

By Gene K |

Ocean Drive is a great place to walk at night. Colorful lights on many of the art deco structures and the oceanfront park. And a lively bar and restaurant scene.

Great area

By Globetrotter201026 |

This is a great area with excellent bars and restaurants to be found.

It’s well worth exploring and trying a few different areas. Food is higher priced in this area but certainly well worth it

Amazing art deco hotels

By Scott S |

This was my first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotels and restaurants were so interesting and such a good representation of the art deco hotels from the early 20th century. And sitting just across from the water doesn't hurt.

A Lot of Loco Going on Here

By KSLJ1995 |

What an unwanted experience. The craziness with crowds and loud partying that happens after sunset can be large, more on the weekends and during the weeks of Spring Break. There is a lot of misbehavior such as prohibition, public intoxication, and drug use. We smelled the odor of marijuana and visually saw joints being smoked right out in the open by many persons young and old. And several untidy homeless persons were seen, mostly sleeping or passed out on the sidewalks at all times during the day. A woman got naked changing her clothes without covering up when on the public beach area. There were also lots of mostly young females that were barely wearing anything while showing their fulls butts and others carrying very loud music boxes while walking up and down the street. After the curfew was lifted partying once again went on all night. Police and Fire personnel were super busy and guests staying at nearby hotels could hear and be disturbed by it all.

Has to been seen

By Gardengel-IoW |

If you love Art Deco this is the place for you. Opposite the beach.
Clean and, I think, a one way road now (long time since I was last there.
Lots of outside seating at hotels for a drink or food and people watching

Beach Street...

By Ricardo C |

Ocean Drive is an avenue located in South Beach in Miami Beach. It has buildings with art deco architecture, with many hotels and restaurants in this street that is in front of the beach. In this region are the rescue posts colorful lives on the beach.
It's pretty cool to walk and enjoy the place. Very busy, with restaurants with tables on the sidewalks, cyclopeia and green area near the beach.
The last day we spent there was a LGBT festival, so the street was almost completely blocked (from 13th to 17th).
I recommend knowing the place! Well cool and is part of the culture and aura of Miami Beach.

Funnt folks

By Zeituni |

Crowdy street with plenty of restaurants, fine cars, some beautiful buildings and very funny folks tipical for Miami

A Must

By fiamma11 |

This is a must drive, a beautiful place with beautiful people. A people watching paradise if one is interested in that. We often see movies being filmed here and people baring a lot of skin. It is fun, for at least one time in your life. Architecture is also most interesting and worthwhile.

Ok

By Elsa |

I wanted to at least see this area while in Miami. It’s really just clubs and bars. I don’t think I’d be quick to come back here.

Always interesting

By rivano |

Always interesting, full of restaurants, bars and cafes, and colorful characters on parade, and nicer now that they turned it into a pedestrian only area.

Disgusting

By mario |

As any other Liberal run city in US lately...
Disgusting and unsafe
This use to be a place where you can speak your mind. Not any more.

Nice area

By Lindekilde |

Pastel-colored houses. Plotted for a walk where you feel the mood you walk in a street that is several decades old. Houses and other things are well kept, and even though we went there in February we felt that we were on summer vacation. Fat mood.

Definitely also a visit be in the evening.

Atmosphere great

By CH.BR |

Ocean dr. is quite in the early morning. Other time, this street is Full of people, full of restaurants, full of hotels, full of music and full of fun! Beautiful street is with ocean view.

Great place

By Jayne M |

We visited during Art Deco weekend. Fabulous atmosphere great stalls. Amazing Art Deco buildings There is a fantastic vibe about the whole place. Go there

A very interesting place.

By jimnich |

We were first time travelers to South Beach and found it pretty much as advertised, it is colorful, lively (until the not so small hours) and gob smackingly expensive. You can expect to pay about 40 dollars for two beers and everything comes with an automatic 20% gratuity on top, so be sure not to tip more.

Further up South Beach seems a bit quieter (relatively) with up market cocktail bars, hotels and restaurants. That said, my overall impression was one of slow decay, there were a lot of homeless people and even more watchful individuals who didn’t seem to be doing much other than standing or sitting in one one place. On the upside, I wasn’t aware of a large police presence and there were evidently a huge amount of young people having the time of their lives. Maybe I’m just getting old but at no time did I feel anything other than perfectly safe..

Hotels, Restaurants, and Clubs and lots of tourists

By roj1281 |

Ocean Drive between 5th and 15th street is where most of the night life is in Miami Beach. There are many hotels, restaurants and clubs in this area. Many of them put on shows, or have dancing, drinks, etc. A lot of tourists are walking up and down the street. I did see one fight break out but it didn't seem too crowded or rowdy to be unsafe.

Like stepping on the set of a movie or GTA Vice CIty

By psudino |

This street looks exactly like you think it should. It's loud, full of nice cars and has some of the most iconic architecture in the country. If you've played Vice City, you fully feel the game designers influence when you are here.

Very walkable, felt safe, and a good time.

Great Walk

By Stephan V |

Great place to walk and visit, lots of restaurants and stores, nice to visit and take a look around.

Buzzing Location

By Brownleys24 |

Absolutely love this area of Miami went on walks during the day watching people workout on the multiple gym areas.
At night there was even more of a vibe, the bright colour lights, buzzing bars & restaurants were perfect to sit watch the world go by either people on bikes/roller skates…
Spotless clean - the cleanest place we have been in USA by a mile.
Million percent we will be back :-))))
Don’t hesitate to visit!!!

Beautiful walk

By Trivius |

I was there all those years ago,
On one of my trips to Miami, I was there 3 times, I walked every time on the ocean drive, it is definitely worth it.
Symbol of Miami Beach, and a place to sit and watch the varied humanity pass by

overpriced tourist trap

By Elaine B |

Thought we should visit as we were in Miami for a couple of days. It was fun to see all the Art Deco buildings but found the whole area very very touristy and overpriced. All the restaurants along the front are so expensive and it would have cost a fortune for our family of four to have lunch. (tip, head away from Ocean Drive - there are better value places if you look for them).
Probably great for drinking and people watching, sadly not for us and our children.

Hot spot in the city

By Shonie |

Ocean Drive was insane!!! Everyone was having the time of their life the restaurants, the Fabulous shows!! It’s definitely a spot you want to be.

Miami Ocean Drive

By Alex |

Destination Miami? Obligatory passage to ocean drive.
Beautiful area. Total change of scenery. very lively during the day and even more so at night.
Like in the movies.

Art Deco hotels

By 4historyandculture |

People watching. We stayed in one of the Art deco hotels and enjoyed the colorful mix of college students on a break and local and out if state tourists.
There is a restaurant on the street level of every hotel and each one serves local favorites.
There is a presence of police cars as well as the classic vintage cars parked on the curbside for photo taking.
The open public beach is across the street. There is a life guard post.

THE Miami experience

By AstralTravel |

Perfect place to just stroll and admire the art-deco architecture.

Lots of restaurants, hotels and interesting spots.

I would go maybe after lunch, so you still catch a little sun rays but also the interesting lights of the buildings.

DO NOT MISS IT.

Like inside a movie

By Eleonora C |

The most famous beach street in Miami beach is just like in the movies: luxury cars, beautiful girls, sun and endless beaches. Lots of places to eat. But the prices are very high. You have to sit down and look around. It's like being on television

A High Five to Ocean Drive!

By Lula927 |

A group of us stayed on South Beach for a week, celebrating a birthday. We were a bus ride from Ocean Drive and visited it a few times. Restaurants, bars, good food and fun music pouring onto the streets while we people-watched. Fabulous! During the day we had lunch washed down with a giant cocktail. We also had an evening meal there at a different restaurant, sorry I can't recall the names but there's plenty of choice.

Look for the spot where apparently a fammous scene from Scarface was filmed, there's a plaque on the wall.

Not forgetting Versace's house where he unfortunately met his demise. We took pics outside, you pay if you want to look inside but we didn't bother.

We watched some brilliant live singing by trans people, such fun and a good laugh.

Don't leave Miami without paying Ocean Drive a visit. I recommend it.

Go once

By Jay |

Ocean drive is worth seeing once. The restaurants are all a variation of each other. The art deco part is amazing and fun to walk because they don’t allow cars. Go once.

Place was OK

By Dannyel Ciobanica |

Room was average. Lobby smelled of a really strong scent, that made me vomit one of the days.

House Keeping was almost nonexistent, they’re making too many budget cuts.

Not the cool place it used to be

By Paul Q |

Ocean Drive is not what it used to be. It used to be models, chic and buff people, muscle cars, amazing shops and restaurants. Now, it feels a bit worn out and tired, the restaurants are average and it is just not as much fun as it used to be.

Art Deco - Nightlife - great cars

By Oliver B |

Smaller than expected - Going out mile in Miami Beach... we ate relaxed and looked at some interesting car.

Overall worth a visit to the Art Deco houses at night

Convenient to the beach and food

By Nashville_brent_65 |

We actually stayed 3 nights right on Ocean Drive. It is now pedestrian only and many restaurants are basically sidewalk cafes. So enjoyable to eat outside and enjoy the breeze.

Lummus Park is nice too. There are plenty of public restrooms, a path for jogging, walking, biking, skating all the way around.

There's also a "muscle beach" area and numerous volleyball courts that get plenty of action.

Oh, and did I mention the beautiful beach and ocean are about 50 to 100 yards away!

Husband’s Birthday Weekend

By CrabbieConnie |

Went for breakfast food was good and hot. Enjoyed atmosphere and waiter was great and accommodating. Will return for breakfast.

Never going back

By Robert C |

Wild loud and unsophisticated crowd appeared more to be loitering rather than consuming food at the restaurants. Not a place for a couple or family to relax snd feel safe. South Beach, is overrun by an unsavory hip hop unruly crowd

Step back into nostalgia

By Peter H |

Located in South Beach area of Miami, this street is field with 1930s style buildings, namely hotels and restaurants. On Sundays, most of it is closed for street markets and antique cars display. A must see attraction.

Fabulous atmosphere

Its like you're in a movie. great street with great atmosphere. definitely take a walk along and make the most of the restaurants and bars en-route
