Had lunch and then wanted to walk around. The downtown is EASY to walk but not flat so if you are a senior with walking this is NOT for you. There are shops OFF the main street but you need to look for them and we did and some were just OK and others were different. They have a public bathroom area with public parking. If you can find a place on the street it is free. I was glad I visited and walked around but if I missed the place, that would be no loss.

Great afternoon stroll through Old Town Temecula. Great eateries and quaint little shops to look at along the way.

We visited while we were in the area. It is a nice little walk and the town has done a good job of trying to preserve their history. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back.

Old Town Temecula is known for many things - 1) A great spot to taste wines and olive oils grown locally. 2) A popular place for destination weddings 3) A great place for a quick get-away if you live in California/ Nevada/ Arizona.
This town is mainly flat, easily accessible to roam the streets, and very cute. If you are in a wheelchair you will find some challenges to visit a few of the restaurants and stores.

Like most old towns this one has the rand of bard ,restaurants , and gift shops . Over all a nice place to visit day or evening .
The advantage to this one is the proximity to the local wineries . This adds to your day or weekend and brings it above your typical old town experience.
A wide selection of places to eat does make this a fun place to round out your day .

Old Town Temecula is a fun place to visit. The Bank is a wonderful Mexican restaurant be and there are a lot of souvenir shops in Old Town.

Temecula is such a beautiful community surrounded by gorgeous hillsides and a must see when in SoCal! Plenty of places to explore and see-great food and drink restaurants-we ate at the Be Good Restaurant Experience had a great lunch! Old Town Temecula has plenty of shops, boutiques, gift stores and plenty of biking and hiking trails and wineries as well ! We visited for the annual Rod Run Car Show and it was terrific!

Visited here for one day/night. Great little place like been on a movie set. Very quiet while we were there but i can see weekends been very busy. Visited several little shops and several bars. Enjoyable visit but can do everything in a day.

Despite the term old-town there's not a lot old here. A few old buildings they've converted into mostly restaurants but it's still fun. Lots of botiques and local flavor. You won't find any chains here. Be prepared to drive very slowly behind a lot of vehicles before you score a parking space. Better to park in the garage a couple of blocks away and walk. Speaking of walking, you'll do a lot of it but people are friendly and laid back and although it's crowded on the sidewalks as well as the streets there's a party atmosphere whenever you go. Many restaurants have open-air seating and most of the shops keep their doors open. I recommend browsing in Granny's Antique Attic; they also have a larger store a few blocks over off the main drag.

Most of the shops close at 5:00, which was disappointing & a little odd for a tourist area. Adorable little town though.

Old Town is a fun place to visit with cute shops, unique restaurants, lots of activities, dog friendly, and just the place to spend part of a day.

Nice place. Too hot to walk it, for me,in July, but I did drive through the area. Will return in another season. Granny's Attic was nice, with lots of treasures at every turn. Will definitely plan a return trip.

Temecula Old Town is a fun place to visit, but you have to choose the right time for the activity. There are plenty of places to enjoys the brews and food. We like strolling the street and looking at the shops. So we tend to visit during the day or early evening. It is fun to watch the people and check the scene.

We stopped off at this town for a rest and some food on our way to SAN diego. Great choice of restaurants and fascinating walking through the old town. Some great photo opportunities and the locals are very friendly and welcoming.

If you plan to visit Temecula, you must take a trip to Old Town. There are lots of lovely bars, restaurants, and shops. There’s even a great antique store and many natural food markets. Bring comfortable walking shoes because there is a lot to see. Don’t worry about parking, there are plenty of public parking lots in the area.

Stayed a couple of nights there while we were out for my granddaughters graduation. Lots of great places to eat, quaint shops to browse.

Lots of great restaurants and shops and a good place to learn the history of the town. Saturday is VERY busy and it’s difficult to find a parking space so best to visit on a weekday if possible.

Favorite food place here is the cuban restaurant Havana's. The roast pork dishes are amazing and the Cuban sandwich is fresh and delicious. After the meal, try the cuban drink materva and you won't be disappointed. Havana's in one our regular places to eat. Then I like to take a walk around the shops and enjoy the town. Its a great place to spend the day.

Always something happening in Old Town. Whether it’s just strolling the streets, the Saturday Farmers Market, visiting the Cheese Shop or grabbing a $5 margarita. It’s a great mini-get away

Small little area with nice shops and restaurants. Recommend going to 1909 for a burger. Food was delicious.

There are many places in Old Town Temecula to chose from. A great area to walk and explore! Lunch, Happy Hour, Dinner and late night drinking can be enjoyed.

Old town Temecula is nice to visit. They have a variety of shops and great restaurants! Most of the restaurants you can sit outside which is nice if the sun is shining! There is a Children’s museum that is fun and interested for little kids to explore.

We loved the area and many of the ests were great however the attitude and the lack of service at manybrestraints was astoundingly lacking. We had people try to push into crowd and just be verbally assaulting to people. No manners... and proprietors looked as if this was normal and displayed no assistance.
Food was delivered incorrectly 1 hour after it was ordered and repeatedly told we needed to be patient. We lost two people that were diabetic and needed food to another place they had to leave to.. lots if things we loved about this plaxe/ area just was destroyed with a lot of bad management and poor service. It started with the attitude but appeared to be across the area that people did not care for you to be here.
Strange to say least but the architectural buildout was nice and temps although very cool at night were livable.
Have been in this area in 4 visits now and thought this review was overdue. Wine season gets to be the worst for crowds. Harvest season Sept and Oct

Cute and authentic town. Charming, clean and nice people. We asked questions at restaurants (to decide where to eat/when) and they shared their menus and favorites. City hall staff and various store keepers were welcoming, pleasant, helpful and cheerful! Highly recommend.

A run back into the past---a number of buildings date back to the 19th Century. Many quaint shops, as usual, some not so great but there are a number of shops and restaurants well worth a visit.

A quick walkthrough. One or two hours of looking. If looking for a authentic "old town" experience - this will disappoint. If looking for an hour or so of entertainment, this is OK. Certainly NOT a destination experience alone, just a way to spend a few hours of "cutesy" shopping and maybe grabbing a quick bit to eat!

Great bars and restaurants. Neat shops as well. Lovely old-town feel to the area. Terrific for a nice afternoon stroll.

A nice place to stop in and walk around. Some nice stores to browse in. Liked the soap store with lots to chose from. Was thrilled to see a Thomas Kinkade store too :)

Old Town has changed a lot. There are now so many great places to eat and to visit. It fun to wander into the many specialty shops.

Lots of unique shops to visit and look around in. Also has lots of restaurants. Easy to walk around.

Old Town is a great place to spend a weekend. Especially if you have been wine tasting in the Temecula wine country during the day.
It does get pretty packed at times, but there are several restaurants to eat at. I recommend the Chorizo and Shrimp at 1909. There are a good amount of bars throughout all of Old Town. There are two speakeasy's as well. One in Crush & Brew and one in Devilicious.
If you are going during the weekend you will definitely have a crowd, early in the week and mid-week you can probably avoid it. Great place to pass the night though because there is always something to do.

After leaving Corona to visit my daughter, we made a point of staying in Temecula for a few nights just to check it out. Wandering around Old Town was great! We had a couple of cold brews at The Bank (separate review) and truly enjoyed the vibe of this place. It is not too crowded and the parking is easy -- so enjoy!

The old town has individually owned small businesses - no major chains here. We came on the weekend and found a great farmers market. I’d you arrive early enough, you can find free on the street parking. Most stores opened at 10:00. Fun shops for everyone, not handicapped friendly though. You have street boards and or stairs into buildings but no ramps. Shops are small so no elevators to second floors. Cute with many food options. Can walk the whole strip, stores and market in 4 hours or less.

Old town Temecula is a must when visiting wine country
Lots of meat are fun restaurants bars
little shops from Tees to dresses
Neat boutiques jewelry shops I lovely lavender shop
A little bit of everything for every age fun walk on the old boardwalk
Was a great afternoon

Didn’t get to do much in Old Town but walked down Main Street to check out some shops. It was a Friday afternoon about 5 and almost all the shops were closed by then or closed at 6 pm. Since there is not much around the immediate area and it’s very much tourists you would think on weekends the shops would stay open later. All the restaurants were very busy though.

Cute area to walk around in. Great restaurants and shops. We had done some wine tasting first and enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful little town.

Old town Temecula has a real charm and vibe to it. The main appeal is in its rustic and Western feel. They have lots of antique shops, wine tasting places, restaurants, and boutiques.
This is a real touristy place, so expect a lot of people walking down the street or sitting outside at a bar or restaurant.
They have events planned throughout the year, like car shows and music. It's a very lively place.
We have eaten at several of their restaurants, including 1909, Crush and Brew, and Mo's egg house. There are so many to choose from, however.
They even have tours that take you around the wineries. Great place to come for a day to shop and eat. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed the down town…had some impressive shops, make sure you explore beyond the main down town streets. Some stores don’t open until 11:00…so check that along with days of week that are closed…

Charming little town! Had a blast! Lots of delicious plates to eat & drink. The shops are darling as well! What a fun little area to visit! Definitely going back!

Highly recommend checking out old town. It is a super cute area with great shops and places to eat. Loved visiting this area!

If you find yourself in the Inland Empire or on your way to San Diego with time to kill, don't miss out on the charm and wine snobbery that permeates Temecula.
While many compare Temecula's Wine Country to that of Napa, I find that Temecula is actually more charming, less hectic, and less crowded with drunken tourists than the Napa Valley.
Old Town Temecula, with it's preserved 1800's jail, along with many other rough-hewn buildings reminiscent of California's cowboy past, is a fun place to spend an afternoon. You can find everything from authentic Marseilles soap, to handmade home goods, to wine and olive oil tastings. If you have younger kids, they'll enjoy the hands on experience of Pennypickle's Childrens' Museum, which will keep you and them entertained for hours. If you enjoy a little nip in the afternoon, there are plenty of bars in town. Bikers gravitate to this little town, so don't be surprised to see dozens of Harleys parked in front of the Pub n Grub or Old Town Public House. There are at least 10 watering holes within walking distance of Old Town, so a pub crawl would work well here. There are, of course, pricey upscale restaurants, but there are also several moderately priced, family-friendly diners.
Temecula is a great day trip from LA, (usually a 1 hour 45 min drive) , San Diego (about 60 miles) Hemet (40 minutes) or Corona. (35-40 minutes).

We enjoyed the old wooden sidewalks and beautiful signage at each end of town but the whole western thing felt fake. We walked through but didn’t really find anything of interest. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it.

The restaurants are great, for those who like to people watch it's a place to hang out and watch, people, vintage cars, and have a great glass of wine with your lunch or dinner.

Great food and shops, people very friendly. Hard place to park on the weekends. Lots of events from the locals, and plenty of places to get what you need if you are staying in the neighborhood.

What a fun place to go on a Saturday afternoon with some friends. You can walk around old town and sample drinks at the local restaurants or grab a cigar and just sit around and people watch

We actually landed in Old Town Temecula because we wanted to eat at EAT Marketplace, which has fabulous organic food! What a pleasant surprise that this cafe was at one end of Old Town Temecula! After having a hefty French toast breakfast, it was wonderful to walk off some of those mega calories. Merchants in the variety of boutiques were super helpful, sweet spirited, and offered a nice variety of gift items, lovely clothes, and antiques! There are also wine shops with flights of wine to sample from the area wineries.
Definitely browse the antique store on one end and Farmer Girl Boutique on the other end! It made for a very pleasant browsing stop, and I was able to find a few unique last minute Christmas gifts! We especially enjoyed listening to the live outdoor music at Baileys, and also the group playing on the little common area, as pictured! Just a surprise fun outing!

We went here at the end of our day for a drink and shopping. The gift shops are not tacky but unique stuff to bring home to family from our trip. Worth the stop if in the area.

We loved just exploring this little area in Temecula, so many cute shops and restaurants. I would love to go back and stay the night!

Adequate parking spaces, beautiful view of the hills, lots of pretty shops, and plenty of places to eat

A cute little old-town feel. Some nice shops and restaurants, as you walk down main street. A fun stop..!

Mad Madeline’s for the best hamburger and French fries. We’ve been there twice now on both of our short 3-day trip up to a Pechanga RV Resort. We’ll always go back there for our “budget fix”

Temecula has an excellent Old Town section that is littered with restaurants and niche shops. Some places have 'mist' valves set up to keep it cooler, but I recommend going on a cool day. 3-digit days are better spent at the beach in Oceanside or Carlsbad.
Parking can be a challenge, so it would be good to go earlier in the day. The evening rocks with busy pub traffic, and extremely slow street traffic.

We love a stop in Old Town Temecula for shopping and lunch on our trips to wine country. There are cut little shops and good restaurants and the area is themed well.

It is like tho other old towns set up for tourists. Trinket shops, restaurants, false fronts, etc. weather very nice.

Temecula is blessed with the unusual fact that it was a town beginning in 1859 with an official post office, but by the 1970's had a population of 250 people!! Then the I-15 project started (to replace the old highway 395), and a the new masterplaned city of Temecula was created and now has over 100,000 people! This allowed almost all of the city to be newly created from the 1980's on, with the "Old Town" being almost 110 years old!
Fortunately the old town was mostly restored, and the wooden sidewalks were redone with the look and feel of an old western town preserved!
Now this some 8 block area hosts Temeculas top rated restaurant (Goat and Vine), along with many other unique, and top rated, restaurants and a great assortment of shops.
This is a big "charm" reason my wife and I chose to retire here (along with the wine country). DON'T MISS IT !!

Spent an afternoon exploring shops and historic sites in this quaint old town. Could have spent more time there.

Old town is a shopping district set up to look like an old wild west town. At least some of the buildings are original from the 1880's and others look to be more modern recreations. The net effect is a maybe 8 block walking town that has the look and feel of the 1880's. There are unique stores and shops and plenty of places to try local wines and to eat. If you're in the area well worth a stop.

MY goodness how Temecula grew up! When I was a kid it was ranches, ranches & more ranches. Now it's tract homes & wineries. Best part of Temecula is Old Town. I'm so glad they haven't torn down all the old buildings in the name of "progress"
A lot of fun boutique & antique shops to browse in. We are not into wine or olive oil tasting so we can't comment on those shops.
Swing Inn Cafe is a MUST to catch a bite at. Don't expect anything more than good old fashioned diner food. We were so happy to see the Swing Inn hadn't changed.
If it's not bring water or be prepared to need it.
All in all a good way to spend an afternoon.

Old Town Temecula is located just west of I-5. You could spend all day & evening enjoying yourself. There's parking along the streets and a parking garage near the Civic Center (3rd St/Mercedes St). A variety of restaurants to choose from. Lots of stores to browse thru.

So cute to walk through 6 street's of sidewalk planks with original old time building's, shops" restaurants and bars. Very friendly ambiance.

Old Town Temecula was nice. It was crowded on the weekend. Lots of Bars and restaurants, some of them had music. If you play video games there is a spot for adults only with TVs, music and bar.

If you have a hankering to peruse lots of wonderful little shops, this is the city! Such an array of wonderful places to walk through and plenty to buy. From small gifts for those back home or something for yourself or home, this place is quaint with quality. From French soaps and perfumes to ostrich jerky, you'll find it here. Enjoy a burger or delicious Mexican food, have a beer and munchies, or a gourmet meal. Temecula has it all. Enjoy an afternoon stroll and take it in.

Old Town Temecula is famous for its wine. You can see the good old days of American towns, with old wooden buildings and stone banks that look like they came out of a Western movie. It's a very small town, so you can explore it on foot. There are souvenir shops and restaurants. If you go to Temecula, you should visit not only the wine cellars but also the old town.

We love to go “junktiquing” in Old Town Temecula and one our favorite hamburger stops is Mad Madelines.

Did a little sightseeing and looked at shops. Had a great lunch at The Bank amazing Mexican cuisine and a great Margarita. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice and helpful.

Some antique shops and restaurants. Touristy charm and a taste of history. Convenient parking. A nice area to walk around.

Lots of places to grab a bite or drink outside and relax. Shops are fun to wander in and out of, plenty of parking options too.

A lot nicer than I expected. While it is touristy, the shops are nice and the restaurants excellent.

Nice little town, with fabulous restaurants, little shops, interesting people. Good place for families, couples and friends. They are in he process of renewing some parts, but enjoy a visit.

We had lunch at Old Town Temecula. There is something for everyone in Old Town Temecula. We had a visit with family in June and the weather and the quaint stores were amazing.

great place to walk around, many very good restaurants and many interesting shops, loved Calabro for wine and olive oil tasting. Great place to relax

Lots of restaurants and shops in Old Town Temecula. Tons of things to do for the whole family. Fun place to take relatives when they visit. (I live in Temecula)

October 13th & 14, Temecula Greek Festival provides great music... Greek food and fun filled days of dancing. Enjoy learn about Greek Culture.

This section of town harkens back to the early years of this area. Some of the sidewalks are made with rough hewn boards. The streets are narrow and the parking is free. Christmas decorations are everywhere and there is a feeling of fun in the air. Would return here at any time.

What a hidden gem . Love all the little shops and restaurants. Later realized we sat in one of the restaurants who was owned by a celebrity( mr Dean Norris)! Just stopped in for an afternoon drink an appetizer, and was impressed by seeing the actor as an everyday joe with his employees. At first i heard his familiar voice behind me , asked my husband could that be him or a twin of the actor?? But sure enough it was Mr. Norris. Great little restaurant only wished i had the food. Smells were delicious and the food looked like good portions. We’ll be back again when we visit Temecula. Also we got to see the fresh market with all the fresh produce. Fun little town.

It had many stores to shop at at and many restaurants and bars but the noise on the street was so loud. We have to eat on the side walk or outdoors, it was way too noisy. They may want to limit traffic when people are eating.

This reminds me of old town Scottdale but fewer art stores. Some restaurants and gift shops. Was there on a Monday morning and nobody around practically. Looks like some struggle to stay in business.

Old Town Temecula is a fantastic place to walk around, eat, shop, and just watch people. Old Town Front Street is the main street in this historical district and runs 6 blocks covering approximately 2 miles. The street is lined with old style wooden buildings that are spectacular to view. One could spend days examining the construction of each building. The wooden sidewalks give it that old town feel and help to enhance the atmosphere of the town. There are plenty of shops to visit ranging from antique stores, jewelry shops, clothing stores, souvenir shops and a wide range of other establishments. Restaurants are very plentiful and can be found scattered through the town. You can chose from Fast Food to elaborate dining establishments. Breweries and Wine Tasting Rooms are plentiful for those interested in tasting the local craft beers and sampling the local wines. There are 20+ vineyards located in the area. Quaint little Shops with olive oil tasting and sampling different types of jerky are just some of the things to keep you busy. Recommend you stop by the Visitor Center to obtain a map and brooches of different places to visit during your trip to Old Town Temecula. People are friendly and helpful for the most part. Parking is free on all streets within the town area. We spent 6 hours touring the area and walked the entire 2 mile along Front Street to 6th Street and back. Enjoyed see Sam Hicks Monument Park, Ricardo Breceda Sculpture Garden. and the wooden buildings. Shopping was fun especially at Fourth Street Antiques. A great way to spend a weekday with friends. If you are in the area suggest stopping by to a have a fun filled day of adventure. Note: Mask and Social distancing are required through the confines of Old Town Temecula.

The main drag has it all. Some stuff on the side streets but overall its all within walking distance. The good places need to be reserved in advance.

Was there on Saturday morning and there was a wonderful Farmers Market with lots of fresh vegies/fruit as well as crafts. Many of the restaurants with outdoor seating had misters going to stay cool. A lot of really fun shops and there's a huge antique mall across the canal from old town.

Spent couple hours here strolling through a few shops, having lunch, and desert treat. A few interesting shops but didn't find anything unique of interest to us.

This place is amazing if you’re hammered out of your mind on Temecula swill. Otherwise it’s your typical fake “old town” with mediocre restaurants and hog folk. Skip the entire city. Temecula is like Napa if you like sipping the juice that collects in the bottom of a dumpster.

I don't know why we've never gone before. We will certainly visit again. Charming town with lots to see and do. Great cheese shop and vintage/antique shops and malls. Live music in various locations on the weekends. Book beforehand if visiting in "wedding season" which lasts about 4 months. Will definitely return. A fantastic short weekend escape for LA locals.

My friends and I shopped and had lunch. It was a cute town, with lots of interesting shops and restaurants, but very expensive. It was $17.00 for a burger and fries. The items in the stores were overpriced in my opinion. Do the research and find a reasonable priced restaurant.

It is so beautiful and fun in Old Town Temecula. There are a lot of restaurants/bakeries/coffee/dessert options! They also offer a free golf-cart escort around town.
It is a nice place to spend the day or just visit for dinner and dancing.

This little corner of town has cute boutique style shops full with antique goods, clothes, candy and an ice cream shop and places to eat and bars to grab a drink. Also, places to do wine and olive oil tastings too. It's a great place to spend the day, or grabbing lunch or dinner or just drinks! Make sure to stop by "The Bank" it's a Mexican food restaurant with an outside bar you can just walk up into for free chips and salsa and grab a drink and watch whatever sports event is on at the time or go in and eat. My sister and I had margaritas outside..it was so nice! The chips/salsa was pretty good, so I imagine the food would be just a good. Going to actually eat there next time. (Since we don't live far) But if you find yourself in the area check it out, little tip..there is a parking lot off of '2nd st'. Which ends up being at the end of the stores. Check it out on a map..you'll find it. Otherwise parking along the street where the shops are can get full.

Lots of bars and overpriced establishments. Nothing special really but not bad if you’re in the area anyway.

This is a very nice area full of antique stores, botiques and artsy stores. We had a nice couple of hours just walking down the street and enjoying the different shops. Then the rain came and there was no place to take shelter.

Visited on a Friday early afternoon and spent 2-3 hours. We shopped - 7 lovely ladies- and we all made several purchases. Had s fabulous lunch and bought some yummy cheese and fruit which we took back to our place for a fun picnic. Absolutely beautiful weather, busy, but not too crowded.

We made our first visit to Old Town Temecula last weekend. Cute little town with some cute boutique shops and then a bunch of same type of touristy gift shops you will find at any other place. Favorite shop was the Painted garden with a nice collection of hand painted pots for your garden. Lots of restaurants and really enjoyed lunch at Soro's Mediterranean Grill. You can probably walk the whole area in about two to three hours. The main drag gets crazy congested with cars. You best bet is to enter the town from the south and park in the big open lot on the west side of 2nd and Old Front Street a couple blocks from the town center.

For those who well tolerate desert heat in summer, Temecula is a delightful stopover. Having been here many times, I returned to again enjoy the sights and sounds of this Old Town that is recreating itself as a new, contemporary town that keeps it's old-town flavor. Plenty of shopping for those so inclined; a plethora of restaurants to sit in and look out over the town from a second floor, or to ponder the passersby from a friendly first-level porch. Across Interstate 15 are all the new, familiar stores one sees every place. The interesting sights and sounds are on the other side of the road, where a close eye will spot a desert creature sunning itself or a caballero riding down the paths from years past. Choose wisely and you'll stomp your feet to guitars strumming and amigos trilling their 'r's.

Super cute area with shop and restaurants. Great to walk around and window shop. There is a pretty cool antique shop too. Large parking lot with a few EV spots too.

We live close by and come out here to browse new places, grab a quick bite and enjoy the people watching. Several great restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A favorite old standby is the Swing Inn for breakfast. We’ve enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday mornings for the best fresh produce and unusual boutique items, even gift ideas. There’s lots to see... anytique shops, an everything-chilies shop, fashion, and so many places to get a good burger it’s hard to decide which.

The wood streets and western style buildings give this Old Town so much charm. Many of the buildings have historic plaques on them. Temecula places high value on its history. The walk begins near City Hall (a block off Front Street) which is where the Visitor Information Center is located. The walk ends, in our opinion, near the Historical Museum in Sam Hicks Monument Park.
Along the way, the variety of very unique shops and cafes make this a fun day. We come here often and have our favorite shops: Plan B Fashionista (awesome handbags) and Silver Fever are among those we frequent often. The Antique Mall and TAOS Traders are highlights also.
Parking can be difficult but there is a parking garage by City Hall (free) and, if all the lots fill up, head down toward Sam Hicks Monument Park where we always find an abundance of street parking.
Stop in at the Visitor Center and pick up their maps and information. The staff are so very helpful and will share their recommendations freely.

We enjoyed the little shops in Old Town. There are several buildings that are being renovated, so not all of it was so picturesque. The bridge over the wash is s great place for photographs.

So interesting to see Old Town Temecula.
The old buildings lining the main road (and the new buildings built in a sympathetic way to match the old ones) give the place a feeling of a Hollywood Western town and you will expect cowboy and horses to strut down the road anytime.
There are lots of antiquities shops around that sell tacky and interesting and kitchs items perfect for spending some time browsing and buying.
Trend restaurants and bars pop around…a nice way to spend a couple of hours!

Our grandson lives in Temecula and we ventured to this area. There is an abundance of restaurants, some of them really great. If there is one problem, it can be parking. Highly recommended to dine here over any other area in Temecula.

2nd visit to Temecula and this was for a concert at the Old Town Community Theater. I was able to find some free street parking about 4 short blocks away but missed the entrance to the theater and had to walk all the way around the block to find it. A very nice quaint small theater with all of the seats within good viewing distance of the stage. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was kind and courteous. The performance was wonderful and the only drawback to the evening was the concession stand was outside of the theater at the next building. It just so happened to be raining a bit that evening. No camera photography was allowed at this performance; however, the artists did do a meet and greet after their performance.

This is a really cute little Old Town. There's a large variety of shop for anything you're looking for. The sidewalks have these awesome inlays on the corners that depict the history of the town.

Old town Temecula has so much to offer. Great food, shops and western motif. You won't be disappointed!

So many great places to do some fun shopping and the farmer's market is so much fun with great vendors. Really cute place to visit definitely spend some time there when you pass by Temecula!

Walking around the old town area was very pleasant. There are some great little shops and restaurants.

Awesome area to spend some time strolling, shopping, and eating. The Starbucks here is great. After a couple hours you will likely run out of things to do, but it's definitely worth a trip.

Quaint town with nice atmosphere. Great proximity to 40+ vineyards. Lots of good restaurants and a few shops all in the center of town. Shops have a variety of hours and several were closed when we arrived mid afternoon. Easy walking. Parking could be a problem during busy times.

Just park your car and walk the streets of Temecula. Lots of shops, restaurants, and museums to enjoy. Week-ends are really busy! Beer & Wine tasting too. Wonderful outdoor Mall nearby with nearly every shop you could want: The Promenade.
Full blown wineries and wine tasting just down the road.

The Old Town is authentic as it shared the history of the Califorina Gold Rush and a number of buildings have been preserved. It is filled with interesting boutiques, an amazing farmers market on Saturdays, fine and casual dining as well as numerous venues with live music. Temecula is a very special place. Visit it, you won't be disappointed!

We always enjoy visiting Old Town America especially the one's that aren't to far away. The C19 pandemic is still with us but that hasn't stopped the people from going out and enjoying this area. The restaurants and stores were pretty busy during the daytime we were there.

We love to take out-of-town guests to Old Town for the shopping, buildings, history, arts and food. It is really a great and fun place to go and it always impresses our guests in some way as they all have diverse interests. There is something for everyone in Temecula Old Town.

Terrific area for a relaxing day. Some great places to eat. Few local geocaches in the area. There is a local museum. Possibly catch a show at the theater. You can easily make this a whole day adventure on this street if you plan accordingly.cool candy shop that has some retro candy for those that are into remembering your childhood.

Fun little town to stroll around, lots of quaint shops.
Numerous restaurants have every type of meal available you can think of.

Love this cute quaint town. Lots of food and drink options. Boutique shopping is a bonus. The Parking is very limited.

If you are visiting Temecula for the first time, make sure to check out Old Town Temecula. Our favorite restaurant is EAT, which is located on the left side of the main entrance to Old Town Temecula. EAT restaurant had a variety of healthy food options. There’s also gift stores along the main street and a variety of restaurants, from Mexican food to sushi. It can be crowded on the weekend if you are driving, but don’t let that stop you from visiting this charming area that has a vibe of the old west. Yeehaa!

One can spend an entire day experiencing Old Town Temecula. It has the look of the old west with its wooden sidewalks and false front buildings which gives it such charm. There are several great restaurants, lots of cute little boutiques to explore, a cupcake shop, garden shops, and my favorites; the Temecula Lavendar Store and the Temecula Olive Oil Company (their tasting bar is worth taking the time to enjoy). It was ten years ago when my husband and I first visited the olive oil company. We enjoyed the quality of their products so much, that we continually stock their oils and vinegars in our home. We love to dip rosemary bread in a mixture of their Basil Olive Oil mixed with Honey Vinaigrette. I serve this alongside a delicious Caprese Salad and white wine for a terrific lunch.

It s a typical touristy area with many little shops and restaurants. Ate at the hamburger joint on the main drag and at Goat and Vine a block off the main drag. Burgers were very good and the pizza at Goat and Vine was delicious. Good for killing a couple of hours

You're gonna love it! Many cafes and restaurants, antique shops and so much more. We have gone many times and it's always a pleasure. They often have some kind of event going on whether it's a car show, live music groups everywhere and much more. If you can go during one of the events you'll enjoy it even more.

Cute strip in Temecula. Lots of boutique shops and all AMAZING food. Never had a bad meal yet and have eaten at probably a dozen restaurants so far.

Can get very hot in summer. Week ends very busy, hard to find parking. There are several restaurants that serve good food, and an enjoyable wine and cheese tasting with decent entertainment, but not really that much to look at.

Beautiful scenery, quaint, great shops and restaurants! Definitely worth checking out!! This was my second trip.

We were just driving thru but know this is a place we have to come back and see. The area has a really neat vibe, filled with restaurants, beautiful architeture, and interesting shops. We did have lunch here and really enjoyed watching the people go by. I would highly recommend the Goat and Vine restaurant for great pizza.

A nice little stroll through town provides plenty of cute little boutiques and shops. A couple of my favorites were the farmers daughter and a little garden shop. There are so many cute things to look at and shop for I spent an hour and a half and just three shops.

It doesn’t matter what day or night of the week you come here there is always something going on.
A great many specialty stores and a wide variety of restaurants will keep you entertained time after time. If it’s your first time here stop in the visitor center for information on everything Temecula. Also there are apps you can download as well.

Temecula old town and place itself is breathing something old but also new in the same time. Love the way city hall is decorated and organized, stuff in the city hall quite polite and approachable, you can ask anything but I would still recommend you visitor center. Only one thing I didn’t like about Temecula old town, everything is opening too late, you can’t serve breakfast and open around 9, that’s more brunch time...

Fun little town with some charming shops and restaurants
Wish we could have spent more time checking out the town
Had such a good time we ran out of time
We will be back

Never had been to Temecula until this past weekend. We went with friends to try the wine scene there. While visiting we visited old towne. Enjoyed a couple of the antique shoppes, the local community playhouse and a bar. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable. Traffic in the old towne area was surprisingly heavy. If you go be sure to visit the Doffo winery !!!

It is a must to visit this place. We ate twice at 1909 Restaurant. Great place, very cozy and active. Be sure to make reservations.

My title says it all. Great place to get a bit to eat, walk around and shop, or just get a drink. Definitely spend some time here when you are in temecula!

I haven’t been to Old Town Temecula in years and I truly had no idea how much it had grown! We came for the night and went to Old Town for dinner. The place is packed and festive with live bands playing in so many of the restaurants/bars. We had such a fun night here and it’s close to home. Definitely worth visiting.

Completely captivating area. Old buildings and lots to look at. It was not a tee shirt trap but an area with some cool shops and lots of places to eat. People friendly for sure. Young, Old, Kiddies, and dogs too. It was easy to spot the places you wanted to go, and also the places you needed to avoid. Always looking for interesting good food and experiences, you will find all that in Old Town. I am not going to get specific, I suggest you take some time and travel there on your own and claim you memories. I always felt safe and I always felt welcomed, even though the number of people visiting this Old Town would probably get on my nerves had I owned a small shop there. Oh, and when I was there....they had some classic cars that showed up one evening and pulled into a large restaurant parking space. It was awesome. My only real criticism was the far end by the hotel. It seemed very trashy and there was need to pay attention to the landscape. It's was like you crossed this imaginary line into an area that didn't have anything to recommend itself. In my opinion, that whole short street in Old Town should be like a polished gem stone. Right now it could use a little re-direction.

Old Town Temecula is a delightful walk with interesting and different stores to browse. Several antique stores to browse as well. Many of the stores are different and interesting. Parking is somewhat difficult so you may have to park and walk to the area. Restaurants are available.

We walked all over this quaint little area. Great places to eat and lots of fun unique shopping. Everyone was so nice and pleasant.

Old town Temecula is a kinda kitschy cowboy town but has a really cool vibe and some great live music most nights - especially in the Old Town Blues Bar

Fun area with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. We spent a lazy afternoon just walking in and out of all the stores and doing some window shopping.

After checking into our Inn, we went to Old Town Temecula to get a bite to eat. The Old Town has been fixed up to look like an older Western town. Nice. We didn’t do much there other than eat. It's clearly been contrived to feel 'old' and Western.

A nice break from wine tasting, as well as to get some exercise walking around the town. Cute little shops to walk around. The town is only a few blocks long, so its a easy walk.

Old town temecula has really changed. I guess they are catering to a younger, hipper crowd. The antique shops are dwindling and the restaurants are too trendy. I was so looking forward to eating at The Bank but it was closed for renovations. The BW hotel within walking distance was wonderful. Even the creek with the frogs croaking was gone! The quaint little town is all grown up. I am so sad.

Small down town that once was to be another Branson. The highlight is the Wineries out side of the town.

Old town 8s a nice place to walk and look at shops. Plenty of restaurants and history. Lots of local color.

Love the area, wine tours are so much fun. Staying on a vineyard made the trip relaxing. We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect

Not really Old Town but lots of places to stop. Very crowded and parking is a pain. You can park free in a garage up the hill near the city hall.

this is a wee gem lovely walking down the street, some wooden walkways, looks authentic old style . great range of shops restuarants n bars. well worth a visit

Located right in downtown Temecula, Old Town had many shops and restaurants to go to (we went to Small Barn, which was delicious).

First time we had visited Temecula, CA. We visited the Old Town Temecula and stopped at the Vistors Centre. The lady managing the Visitors Centre in Temecula was very friendly and professional. She provided us with brochures and lots of information about Temecula and the wine country and things to see and do during our stay.
I was able to purchase some lovely postcards at the Visitors Centre and we took some lovely photos of the Old Town Temecula. Very picturesque town.
We’ll return to Temecula in the future.

Had not been to Temecula for a long time it has grown but a great place to hang for A-day or stay for a long weekend
I grew up in the wine country in the and the wines there are pretty goodOld Town is full of restaurants and interesting shops. The prices were reasonable and plenty of places to stop and get to that and drinks. Also don't forget to stop by the blues club a great place for live music any time of year

Several block long street where you will find restaurants and shops. A bit hectic during its busiest hours and somewhat difficult to park at those same times. Off hours was much more pleasant, with easy access to all the shops with on street parking available.

Temecula Old Town is a must do visit! Whether you just drive through the 8 block district, or walk and explore the many unique shope and restaurant's, you will be charmed by the century old feel and the variety of wonderfull foods! There is even a great hands on exploration place for your children, Penny Pickles Workshoo! Also a great community playhouse, to see our local talents in action! Everyone will love our Old Town, young and old alike.

My Teen Grandaughter loved the old West ambiance of Temeculas Front Street. The shops, restaurants and architecture captured her imagination...

If you ever wanted to step back into what modern man thinks 1886 was like, then this is your kind of place.
This quaint Main Street in Temecula has a few of each of what you would find on most main streets, including a candy store, a soap shop, a psychic, the old bank that is now a Mexican place, a bar that has all stand up arcade machines and what seems to be a self proclaimed largest country music venue on the west coast.
It’s a great place to visit in the winter months cause the summers are brutal in Temecula. Oh and you can see the first jail for this town there too. Pretty cool.

Taking a walk through old town will make your heart smile when ya stop in every bar along the way on a SundayFunday!

We enjoy shopping here in all the shops after an afternoon of wine tasting up in the valley. The shops are unique, and have a lot of character. We highly recommended adding a stop in Old Town Temecula and to check out the stores.

I like visiting Old Town when I go to Temecula. It is a very happening place but it can get a little too crowded at times. If you like to check your phone frequently be advised that at time the service is almost non-existent when it gets crowded.

We visited on a gorgeous Sunday. It’s a cute street with mostly antique stores and some specialty boutiques with overpriced items. The vibe is quite western and it’s pretty small. I don’t regret going, but I have no need to ever go back.

This is a great little get away. Very pet friend town. Every store and restaurant were so friendly and accepting of our dog. They have 2 of the best Olive Oil stores.

Old Town Temecula is well known by us, we have seen changes in it every visit. Lots of eateries, bars and antiquated shops,
Temecula Oils is a must, you can enjoy tasting the oils and then buy the ones you like. We have purchased a number of oils on our visits and they travel well. Staff friendly and will put cardboard packaging in the bag for your journey. They also love the English accent !!!! Mad Magdalen’s Burger Bar is a must, lovely juicy burgers......doesn’t look much from the roadside, but food is great.
See you in September Old Town

I anticipated more curated shopping choices than I found. More focused on bars than nice shops. The olive oil store was perhaps the nicest. This area.is more about the vineyards than the old town.

Would not make a special trip to see it. it is not that much to see at all. Some went out of business. If you are in the area, it is OK. 3 star rating

The classic car show was a great night of fun. Seeing all of the cars was memorable. Many cars were represented and our group thoroughly enjoyed our evening here.

Old Town is a pleasant place with lots of things to see and do. The only problem is the severe lack of handicapped parking. I would go there more often if it was accessible to me.

Nearly all of Front Street is under construction. Cones and hazard tape everywhere. Restaurants and shops taped off (some were open but I have no idea how you would get to them). The worst part was while walking in the evening, you either had to risk walking alongside the caution tape in the roadway or zig zag back and forth from one side of the street to the other. Seems like they maybe could have done this a section at a time rather than have the entirety of Old Town looking like a war zone.

The main street [Front St.] and it's sides are loaded with good restaurants and shops and features an excellent number of breweries - all walking distance apart!

We always have a good time visiting Old Town. There are a lot of great restaurants worth checking out, our favorite is the Gambling Cowboy. It is top notch if you are looking for a steak. After dining we like to walk around and do a bit of window shopping.
BEWARE, they are currently going through a much needed refurbishing of the sidewalks. Just like any reconstruction project, it will be nice when it is done, but right now Old Town is a bit of a mess
Parking is always a problem, but there is a nice parking structure close to the freeway, next to the police station. Getting to the structure might be a bit of a walk for some. If that is the case drop off your passengers, then go park. Also on weekends many restaurants offer valet parking.

Interesting older buildings and truly unique experience- no chain stores or brand- just authentic local shops and history

This was a business trip to the area, so I spent a couple of hours walking the area of Old Town Temecula. Such cute little shops and restaurants. Definitely worth stopping in and taking a walk about.

Dangerous element . Be safe and don’t stay out too late once the drunks come out
Lotta drunks looking to pick fights
Zero police

Quaint place to wander around, nice antiques, bric a brac, gifts and boutiques at reasonable prices. Replica of an old gold rush settlement I presume.
Lovely shop selling wonderful, authentic Indian arts and jewellery.called Taos. Great places to eat and drink. If you want more evening entertainment ..line dancing, music, theatre etc avoid visiting on Monday and Tuesdays as several of these kind of places are closed then. Most shops and eateries are open but not all.

Old Town is adorable... lots of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Everyone is super friendly too! This was a great day trip.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time en route to San Diego. We are now wishing we stayed a few more days. The downtown is easy to get around. Small and quaint. The restaurants were great. Everything we tried was just so delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly. Gave us very good recommendations on where to go and what to see. We loved it!!

Loads to enjoy. Awesome Antique stores and specialty stores. Great restaurants and bars. Fun to stroll around or enjoy people watching on one of the many patios.

I love Old Town Temecula
Breakfast a Le Coffee Shop Croissants that melt in your mouth,
For lunch I recommend The Temecula Old Town Deli This is a local spot with delicious Sandwiches (big enough to share)
Dinner The Small Barn for a good burger w outdoor fire pits and great for people watching, for authentic Mexican Food “Landeros” for good Italian Bottaia or Goat and Vine for Pizzas, salad and meatballs
For a great shopping Experience Kim and Cloth on 6th and Mercedes, it’s a hidden treasure. Cutest fashions for women and kids, vegan suede rancher, western hats and the prettiest accessories.
Wineries For a fun vive w great views and good wine
Altisima Winery off Deportola Rd

This was our 1st trip to Old Town Temecula and we were pleasantly surprised. The stores/shops carried a wide variety of items. There were stores that carried olive oil and flavored vinegar, jerky, lavender products, many types of clothing and apparel shops, jewelry, crafts, restaurants and bars galore. Too many to mention.
We met many helpful shop keepers/clerks. The people we came in contact with were very friendly. Front Street is a few short blocks long and was an easy walk. The sidewalk surface can be a bit bumpy but we liked the idea of a wooden boardwalk. One of our finds was Zoltar - the fortune teller. My husband got a kick out of that.
There seems to be new construction going on. On of the store clerks said there seemed to be more people coming to the area.

Old Town Temecula is so much fun! Loads of fun things to experience. Great antique and specialty shops. Clean. The restaurant and bar selection is amazing! Have fun!

We spent the night in Temecula to experience hot air ballooning and a wine tour and had the pleasure to explore Temeculas' old town during our stay! Any easy walk from one end to the other with lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy! When you visit Temecula be sure to check out old town too!

We had a nice meal and hit a couple of breweries in Old Town Temecula. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful.

Awesome place!
The weather was hot.
Cold beer
Wine tasted better.
Get to the restaurants early so u can get a table in a timely fashion.
This town is just so popular so much to do and have a good time!

The buildings are old, unique architecture, modern and historical looking sights. Very welcoming driving and walking through with some nice arches over the road. Interesting shops and quite a bit to see! Loved it!

Lots of restaurants and boutiques. Not your typical tourist shops-good mix of goods for sale. Great way to spend an afternoon!

A town that has a rich history. Lots of shops(small business) which is always great to support. Many restaurants. A nice stop before going to some wineries.

While in town for business, I ventured down to Old Town Temecula. Awesome shops and restaurants. Beautiful Christmas decorations.

Great local shops, bars and restaurants. The street is easy to walk with lots of parking. Most are unique, local shops and antique stores.

Spent a pleasant few hours wandering the streets and visiting some of the old shops. Also there was a lovely market there which had lots of stall both food and artwork. Not too crowded in January so very easy to get around

Take a walking tour of this Old Town. With a western heritage, you can explore older architecture. Nice modern restaurants, wine tasting and live music. Antique stores abound.

Worth visit, park and walk both sidewalks and chose where to eat or drink in an authentic west town athmosphere. Getting busier and nicer

Best old west inspired old town. Friendly people everywhere, shops are great and well kept. It’s like stepping back in time but has all the modern day comforts of delicious food, great wine and fantastic clothing shops. It’s my happy place, especially around any holiday.

It's not quite 'touristy' but not really 'just local folks' either ... kind of a sweet spot in between. Fun place to walk if you're with a group that hungry or looking for a pint as there are some great surprises around the corner

The downtown area is bustling with small shops and great restaurants. Complete with stretches of wooden sidewalks, it has a feel of the "Old West". The downtown area is totally walkable, which may be your best option as parking can get crowded during peak times, even in the parking lots. The perfect town to spend a a day exploring!

We stopped here on a Saturday while we were visiting in Temecula. It was hard to find a parking place so our daughter left us off & went to find a place to park the car. We walked around the town & browsed the shops & had lunch. The highlight of the day was the Farmers Market. We really enjoyed all the local produce & crafts. They can't just bring things in to sell it must be their crafts or produce etc. We really enjoyed browsing the stands & talking to the people who were so proud of what they had to offer. I would have loved to buy flowers & produce but we were leaving the next day & had no way to transport those things. We had a good lunch at one of the little restaurants while we were there also. We had a pleasant day in this very nice little town.

I love parking at Old Town and walking around all the different shops on a Saturday. The farmers market is wonderful, as well as all of the antique shops and cafes. The perfect spot to spend a sunny afternoon!

The weather was so beautiful that we were able to explore the town. Nice nightlight along the street, busy restaurants, vintage cars along the street to see and antiques shop. It was very conducive to enjoy the night. Not too crowded .

Very interesting. Perfect weather in April.
Could spend more time checking out all the stores. We were there on a Sunday.

The Farmers market is somewhat scaled down but according to my daughter who lives there they should be expanding soon. I have been to farmers markets all over the world but man,oh man I was impressed with this one. High quality merchandise. Flowers galore. Fresh fish, veggies.
Of course lots of great shops and restaurants. A new Italian, bistro is opening. Under construction now but looks to be amazing

We really enjoyed walking around town, so many shops and good places to eat. Didn't get to spend too much time, but will definitely make a point to go back again soon!

Came across this lovely town that’s filled with restaurants and shops. Store owners are adhering to COVID restrictions

We had an amazing time at the Pennywicks Children's Museum in Old Town Temecular! Honestly the best Children's Museum we've ever been to! I have a 3 year old and an 11 month old. There are hidden doors, a glow in the dark room and fun science experiments! I just wanted to recommend it to anyone coming to the area with little ones! We also strolled around the shops and had lovely meals in the restaurants. We sampled cheeses and olive oils and my 3 year old even got involved and had opinions on those. It was great for a family two day break!

stop by Old Town Temecula for a drive down main street where you will likely see old cars cruising and a many serious Harleys or 40 of them. park and grab a beer or burger at the many places to eat in town.

Small authentic looking old town. Stroll up one side of the street and down the other. Shop in the typical olive oil, jerky, touristy shops. Eat at Mad Madeline's and watch the people go by.

Nice little small town right off I15 north. It's about 60 north of San Diego. You can do a walking tour of the town. Lots of places to dine. Has old history mixed with the new. The people are friendly. It's a very popular place for folks to visit.

When ever we visit family in Temecula, this is always part of the agenda.
Hit it on "Support Small business" Saturday. Also the farmers market was packed.
Did some shopping and then had a great Bloody Mary at Black bird tavern
I WILL BE BACK!

Ate at Espadin, enjoyed walking along Front street and recalling how much this city changed over last 15 years.

Great place to park and walk around there a plenty of shops pubs and restaurants and lots to do everywhere for all walks of life.

When you want to take a drive and just don't know where to go . Its a relaxing drive and once you get to town you can park and take a stroll around town. Stop at the cigar shop or go taste some olive oil or just drop in on any other shops on the main street. And end your day at one of the restaurants on the strip.

Superb downtown area, with a whole lot of shopping and restaurants. Good to see things opening up again!

I have never been to Temecula and wasn't expecting the excellent food and cute shops. The Farmer's Wife is a beautiful store with great gifts and items for your home and the entire area has an old town feel. If you do have children (or dogs) in a stroller you will find it very difficult to get around because large sections of the side walk are unfinished and have old and very uneven wood boards. Walking was fine as long as you are not in heels but pushing a stroller was very jarring. All in all, we loved the excellent food, beer, and wine at the restaurants here and cannot wait to go back.

Need more restaurants and sidewalk cafe's. Too geared towards the biker crowd and not enough towards the professional crowd or tourists.

Great place to walk around, do some shopping and grab a bite. We enjoyed dinner at 1909.
We felt very safe after dark,

We spent a pleasant couple of mornings browsing in individual stores (the Old Town is refreshingly devoid of the usual chains) and checking out the lunch menus of the many food options available. There are lots of bars, so the town becomes more crowded and lively at weekends. Parking is free in the city car park.

This is a town up in the hills and offers a great day out. The wooden boardwalk has been preserved for much of the sidewalk and the choice of bars, restaurants and shops is superb. We would definitely go again.

If you’re looking for entertainment in Temecula other than wine-tasting, head on over to Old Town. There are a variety of restaurants from gastro-pubs, diners, Mexican food, steakhouses and craft brew houses. There are also a great variety of shops to wander in and out of as you make your way down a street covered in old wooden plank sidewalks. Aside from a Starbucks, I don’t recall seeing any “chain stores”—everything seemed very unique from antique stores, a store selling local products made from lavender and my favorite store selling over 15 varieties of local olive oils and vinegars. Be sure and explore some of the shops off the main aveneue as well such as a shop selling hundreds of spices and teas and other shops selling clothing and other unique food products. In the evening, many of the venues have live music as well. On the weekends there is an early morning farmers market as well that is especially fun to wander around. In February each year, there is the Rod Run parade of classic hot rods that takes place through Old Town.

Take an hour or so to step back in time. The area is full of shops, restaurants, antique stores, boutique clothing stores and more. But watch where you walk. The sidewalks are made of uneven planking with knots in the wood and some screws sticking up. Not a place of a cane or a walker.

This is a great venue for an intimate evening with great music and fabulous performers! We saw the 90's music review and it was so much fun and the performers were all so very talented! Would highly recommend for a nice evening in Old Town Temecula!

Parked here around noon, looking for lunch. Followed some TA recommendations to find places that weren’t open. Poked into some overpriced shops. Saw a shop with interesting things but a political sign outside let us know they didn’t want our money, so we kept walking.

Old Town Temecula was a stroll down Memory Lane will little shops, antique stores, cafes and restaurants. The antique store is fascinating. Olive Oil Company very friendly. Jerky store friendly. Lavender store and Native Arts store interesting. Good place to spend a weekend.

There were a lot of good restaurants along the strip. We walked the strip midday which is not wise while in Temecula because it's toasty! Many of the restaurants had misting systems in the outdoor seating area. Very cute area, will be visiting again.

Took my grandkids and had a nice time. We especially enjoyed the children's museum. This place has lots if interactive sections for children to explore. Let your children investigate with their minds and body before you walk along the boardwalk in Old Town.

Was full of what I call tourist traps and some restaurants . I have heard some of the restaurants were really good but we did not eat here . Spent an hr and left . Many closed shops

Lots of brew houses, restaurants, craft and novelty shops and a general feel good vibe. Full of tourists and locals visiting on a sunday afternoon. Lots of old buildings and history all basically located on a single drag.

Old Town isn’t too large. It’s got a few nice restaurants, bars, ice cream
And sweet shops, and some gift shops.
It’s nice for stroll around but won’t take the whole day.

If you are coming to Temecula … spend a day in Old Town, get a fresh baked croissant, omelet and coffee from Le Coffee Shop — Chefs/owners Charlotte and Yoann are from France and they serve exquisite everything! Wine tasting, art, historic sites — Old Town has it all.

Old Town Temecula is just a great location to take a walk, shop, eat, or listen to live music. There is a variety of shops to visit. One of our favorite is the Temecula Wine and Beer Garden. Great place to stop in and have a cold drink and listen to a live band.
There's an Olive Oil Tasting Bar and for the entire family, (if you like Burgers), eat at Mad Madeline's Grill! The food is excellent there. The streets are always so charming and themed as for the Old West. Love it!

This is a pleasant stroll and definitely worth walking through in the morning. There's small boutiques along the road, and it was nice to stop in on the antique shops and the candy store. Me and a friend had breakfast at a cute little restaurant called Swing Inn Cafe and it was some of the best breakfast food I'd ever had. This is definitely somewhere you want to at least take a look at while in Temecula.

We drove through Old Town Temecula, then walked through it another day. The people in the shops were super-friendly and it was clean and tidy. We didn't see anything that knocked our sox off, but I would certainly say it's worth a visit. Like many things on our travels, we say, "glad we saw it, no need to go back. Check the box and move on."

went here a few times and had karoake one night great restaurants and lots to do here. go to Granny's attic super antique store

Temecula Old Town is pretty well preserved & fun so see. Has some good stores & restaurants. Nice to see both in daytime & at night.

If you would love a walk back into time this is the perfect street! The shops are filled with fantastic selections and everyone is so pleasant. I felt like I was in the old Wild West!

Returning from a weekend stay, we stopped and parked in Old Town Temecula on a lark. Surprisingly, we were quite taken by the western theme, wooden sidewalks and variety of shops. We found a restrurant for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed a meal on the outside porch. After lunch we walked the Main Street and looked at the various shops. There is a lot to see and a side trip here is worth the time.

Not bad, a few good shops but upgrading the whole area so probably alot better next year. Parking either right at top of street or way at the end

Nice little tourist area with some great shops and deals to be found. Not hard to imagine the good ol’ days in Old Town Temecula. Enjoy!!

fun place to visit, but beware of ridiculous crowds on weekends with hour to hour and a half wait times. also probably a super spreader covid location as most are not wearing masks and allowed to crowd into bars without any social distancing enforcement. we elected to not go back after one night experience.

A very quaint shopping area. Has everything from clothing to souvenirs. Our biggest dilemma was choosing where to eat!

Ever wonder what it was like to live in the old West? After you had a drink to wet your whistle, walked down a couple of roads in the heat, wandered into a general store or two that seemed to have the same tired stuff, sat in a rocking chair and watched tumbleweed gather up some speed as it blew past? If that’s your idea of fun, you’ll have a grand old time in Old Town Temecula.

Old town is great to just wonder around and eat and antique shop. My son had the best time because motorcycles kept driving up and down the street and he had a blast watching them. Great old fashioned candy and ice cream shops as well as great affordable and unique eateries.

There are a lot of great restaurants here and a few cute shops. Like most small towns now a days there are an abundance of restaurants and bars and a selection of cute shops. We haven't found one particular restaurant that we are loyal to because they are all good. The old town atmosphere is perfect and it's a great place to take pictures. When you are in Temecula this is a fun place to stop.

Old Town Temecula is a very happening place. Lots of restaurants and pubs. We were there during Presidents Day and it was very busy and fun. Car show, old cars and motorcycles dragging main street, vendors, etc. Nice, clean town.

The farmers market is nice but on Saturday it is very difficult to find a place to park. Needs more convenient parking.

We stopped on our way to Palm Springs. Took a walk and had some lunch. It was a nice break. There are lots of touristy shops. I’d recommend a visit to the Savon de Provence. Lovely soaps. Lovely owner.

My husband and I visited Old Town while on vacation. It’s a cute little western themed area with lots of restaurants and bars. While we were visiting, there happened to be an ice skating rink which we loved.

I came down here for lunch and was really surprised to see so much construction. It was impossible to park on the street and in many places the side walk was under construction. It still does have charm with a few different stores offering great unusual ideas. I also noticed a few stores that looked empty. When all is done I am sure Old Town will be even more appealing but for now I will wait for construction to end

Walking through Old Town in Temecula was a pleasant surprise. The day was sunny and bright. Make sure to wear nice comfy shoes, as you’ll want to walk through the area, so that you can take in the sights . Be sure to stop at Rosa’s, don’t start with the tortilla chips and salsa, otherwise you won’t have room for dinner. They are addictive! The little store with fresh produce is worth a visit, you’ll see some specialties that you won’t find everywhere else. There are tiny shops and all along the path, too many to name. There are thrift stores and craft stores to be searched, so take your time.
You’ll enjoy your stroll , and you will enjoy your time there. It is pet friendly and family friendly. Some of the walk isn’t made for wheels , ie: wheelchair, strollers, etc., because the side walk in many places is actually made up of old railroad ties, so it will be a bumpy ride.

We are seasoned Road Trippers and visit many "Old Town" history locations...and this was really a treat. Small but full of good ole wine country history! Great food and great shoppes!

Enjoyed a brief visit here. My only problem was most of the stores closed around 4pm which I find a little early in a tourist area. What was open was fun to browse around and made a few purchases

There's not much to old town Temecula, most likely because there wasn't much Temecula back then. What's to be seen is quaint, charming and well kept up, with nice places for a bite or coffee. I liked it

A comfortable walking area with plenty of attractions and innumerable eateries and beverage options for all ages.

Old Town Temecula is several blocks of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. There is abundant parking on the main street (Front), as well as, in lots off Front.

Awesome,fun, & old timey place!!
Awesome for families with or without children, great for dates couples, trips and everyone! ***Mad Madeline's diner has delicious burgers and shakes! Cool art and scultptures everywhere! There is even an old fashioned style jerky store. Historical buildings and vintage hotels from long ago to explore! T
The best restaurant/bar in my opinion there is called "1909"(a bit more pricey but worth it). All the hotels and shops/boutiques are adorable.
Old town Temecula is an awesome destination. I highly reccomend. Only downside is that the parking can be fifficult besides parallel parking spots on busy street. Some smaller parking lots at particular businesses
(might want to call and ask about parking)The rest of temecula is beauktiful as well. Wineries, breweries, and golfing galore! The Temecula Promenade mall is excellent as well as full of great restaurants.
Overall, Old town is a must see if you like old fashioned and/or old Western style buildings and shops. Great food and fun! I mifht be a bit biased, as I do live here in Temecula. But Old Town is my favorite part of this place. There is additionally a western saloon and dancehall called " ( the)Stampede.( incl. mechanical bull rides i think)
Clean fun for family and everyone else. I highly reccomend.

A short few blocks right off the freeway and good for a walk to stretch your legs or get a bite to eat. Plenty of fun restaurants and bars. Many boutique shops to peek into. Street parking can be difficult, especially on weekends. There is a large parking garage a block off the main street.

Old Town Temecula is soooo cute, it’s not very big but has lots to offer; a vintage store, coffee shop, garden, restaurants, soap shop and olive oil shop. I’ve passed by many times and was so glad to be able to walk around a bit. While, I waited to check in at Pechanga Resort and Casino. Just in the background on the East side of Old Town Front Street you will see the City of Temecula Civic center. It was beautifully decorated for the season, Christmas of course! It gets very cold at night during the winter so I would suggest taking a stroll during the day when the sun is out. I have to be honest and say it was quite cold so I didn’t fully finish the tour but can’t wait to come back.

Old Town Temecula has it all. It’s your one place to find everything by walking down one street. Park your car and just start walking. There are excellent restaurants that have great food on both sides of the Main Street which is about a half mile long. We tried Texas Lil’s outdoor dining during their happy hour. Their appetizers are excellent with huge portions. We made a meal out of just their appetizers and even had to take some with us. We had the zucchini, boneless wings and pork riblets, which were all delicious. We had dessert at The Sweet Shop, which has excellent ice cream. There are also many unique shops along the street to browse through. If you are looking for antiques, there are many along the main street. But if you are really into antiques, try Grannies Attic, which is a 30,000 sq foot building loaded with antiques. It is located on the street behind Old Town. Parking can be difficult along Main Street, so look for any public parking you can find. Very enjoyable and friendly town.

Walking recently in Old Town Temecula- I took some gorgeous photos of the iron work that the city had commissioned for the Main Street over pass. They also used it for the light poles.
In some respects- the city has done great things in planning for the long term beautification of the historic district but in others - I believe- they have FAILED- miserably!
By allowing or not controlling the number of bars and restaurants within this small amount of area - they are killing the charm of what used to be a quaint and charming place. Not retaining the “Old Town Specific Town” guidelines that prevented building above 3 stories - ruining the roof line -and allowing building materials not in keeping within the Old Town Historic Western theme is mistake.
We are losing what little bit of green or planting that was there. We have NO shade or trees because that costs money and everyone is driven by the dollar.
There is no parking. Allowing all these businesses in with NO parking - is not good planning.
The city planners - have allowed the landlords to drive out the small gift and antique shops - the very reason that people were attracted to Old Town.
What was once a fun place to wander thru has become a traffic jam to be avoided and a place to dodge drunken millennials returning from their wine tours.
I truly love Old Town Temecula and there are many fun shops still trying to survive.
My favorite place to visit is the Gardeners Cottage. EVERY time I visit - EVERY time ~ I always find something I need!
They have great stuff. From cards, to flags, to water fountains, hand cream. Plus - being in the Chaparral Building they have parking - that’s like a unicorn in Old Town.
I also like “Mild to Wild” - they have K9 stuff and purses.
And the Farmers Wife has “lust worthy” items. They have a great line of gorgeous jewelry.
The Lavender shop has amazing oil that keeps your skin so hydrated.
Omg! Do NOT miss the cheese shop. If you are lucky enough to find them open - it’s heaven on earth. And the tea shop is like a visit to Paris w/o airfare.
So MANY reasons to visit!

My mom and I were visiting family in Temecula and decided to go to Old Town. The is a nice variety of shops and restaurants. The only drawback is the wooden sidewalks. They are a little tricky to walk on as they are not always level and you have to watch out for the bolts that hold them in place. The weather was hot but some of the shops were nicely air-conditioned. Went back in the evening when the temperature was a little cooler.

If you like to shop for antiques and Indian jewelry, this is the place to go. There are decent restaurants, as well. Beware of the wooden sidewalks in some sections, no tripping! The parking can be challenging as the day progresses, avoid the weekends! It is hard to find parking if you have a large truck.

We traveled to Temecula and tasted some great wine. We went downtown for lunch and to see what was there. Temecula is a bit disneyfied with a few places to buy jerky and other essentials. There are a few nice restaurants and a very nice soap store. I can't say that I would have been upset if I missed it.

You will find the choices overwhelming when you try to pick what restaurant to eat at. This to be done after you spend the day shopping at the many boutiques available within walking distance.

Old Town Temecula is an awesome place for a nice meal followed by a nice walk if you've been hitting the wineries, Lake Elsinore, or venturing into the desert all day. The combination of restaurants and shops guarantee something for everyone. Improvements underway to the trail along the river are underway and, I think, will make an already excellent destination better, one to linger at longer.

I enjoyed the Antique stores. I found a beautiful lamp. We ate at the Swing Inn. Charming place to have lunch. There are so many cute shops.

Okay, so it is filled with tourists and things you don't need to buy and over priced stuff, but it is fun in the middle of sort of nowhere to find a nice place to walk and enjoy the sites. There are some great places to eat, skip the wine, it is not great, never was.
What is a tad disturbing is that no one has seemed to get the memo that you should wear a mask--gee--stay away from me. I think this place is pretty conservative so I am not surprised, but I am disappointed.
The area is large enough to spend a few hours and try to go later in the day because it can get so very hot, try winter. We love love the restaurants there, they have it all from breakfast, to some great seafood. So, if for nothing else go there for dinner. It is fun and try not to buy too much junk you will never need. have fun.

We took a trip to Temecula to visit our son. What a great time to visit that area with wonderful weather. Every morning we would sit outside and watch the Hot Air Balloons fly near the mountain ridge. In this area, many cute shops, restaurants and ice cream stops. If you are looking for a cold one it is there and live music.
A must visit if in Temecula.

Great town near San Diego for quaintness, fun bars and restaurants, and even shopping. We stopped here for the day that was sunny and mild and made everything about Temecula sparkle. Even if you need to go out of your way to visit here, it’ll be well worth it! Have fun!

Quite rustic. Lot of older buildings. Public restrooms centrally located and fairly clean. There are some nice looking shops offering the usual fare. Lot of construction going on.
Worth a visit at least once if you are in the area.

Old town Temecula is a nice very little town way over priced eateries , bring a packed lunch. There are a few places with live music, which is always the best part of visiting.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. Lots of interesting shops to browse. Very clean with good parking availability. As with any tourist area, good and bad stores and eating - just choose wisely and you can get some good mementos of your visit.

Cute downtown. Affordable with character. Kids enjoyed treats at the cafe and checking out the shops. There is a Children's museum, great photo ops, events for holidays, restaurants. Plenty to do for all ages.

So beautiful, I love visiting Old town! Since I moved here I have LOVED walking the streets here and visiting Stampede @ night. Temecula is really just a great place to live and Old town represents the best of Temecula.

I so love this town!!! I never get tired of it. I moved out from LA Co in 1989 and have never looked back. This is home. Fun old country feeling with some recent sophistication added! If you are a local and don’t ever go and enjoy Old Town you are really missing something.

We love the old town area in Temecula. It is very enjoyable to walk and be amongst the socializing. We've been to a number of great restaurants along here. There is something for everyone! Don't forget to walk up to the fountain/circle by the government buildings.

Visited two wineries for wine tasting. Very relaxing and enjoyable time, had lunch in Old Town and walked around.

We drove by. Lake water was hot. It was a hot weather day. Still we did swimming. It was relaxing. The most importantly Lake Elsinore is a natural one. So a must visit place on the planet. 😎

Loads of fun .... Good restaurants and there is the Penny Pickle workshop for kids just a great time and place to enjoy. Relaxed and fun

We spent the afternoon walking around Old Town Temecula. Many of the places were closed due to Covid-19, but there were enough stores and restaurants open where we could help with their economy. This was a nice place to visit.

Old town is easily walkable. Many cute little stores, boutiques, and restaurants. Nice way to spend your day.

Old town has many shops and very good restaurants. Goat and Vine is our favorite. Also nice Mexican restaurants and bars

Just walking up and down the road was great. Plenty of restaurants and shops to check out. Anything from Antiques to Sushi LOL! If your visiting the wine region I suggest having dinner and enjoying the late afternoon in this area.

As a couple we love to go to wine tasting, but we ended up to this part of time either for lunch or dinner after we were finishing our wine tasting.

Had it not been so hot, we would have stayed much longer. Ate at a great restaurant and enjoyed a couple of shops.

A wonderful way to spend all day on a Sunday. Great wine tasting rooms and food options. If you want to enjoy the Fall beauty Temecula is a special location.

Nice to stroll around a few good shops and variety of restaurants. On Saturday there is a farmers market, so a little hard to find parking.

I loved the wooden buildings, genuine signboards, little gift shops and cafés. If there wasn't such a big traffic I would feel like in western movie. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Lots of shops, eateries, bars...you will find something for everyone here. There is a large free parking garage nearby, so don’t despair about street parking.
Store owners are very nice as well. They’ve really done a great job with this area.

Within walking distance of our hotel-so very convenient and we visited three or four times. On NY's eve we were pleasantly surprised to come across the live music on the steps of the City Hall - fantastic and we stayed till after the "grapes" had dropped. There was a "portable" ice rink just below City Hall - wonderful to watch children and adults having fun. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, some pricey. The shops have the usual touristy stuff with nick-nacks - nice to go in but did not buy. Would definitely visit again.

Old Town Temecula is a wonderful experience of the 1800's So Cal architectural tradition, bumped into the 21st century. Restaurants as well as clothing, gift & antique stores present themselves as you navigate our boardwalk on either side of the street....plus varied music from the street lamps enlighten your exploration...
Try it... you'll like it....

Want to come back again as was quick visit-great architecture and ambience-love how clean it is! Easy access but super crazy traffic and parking

....worth an hour to wander around...some cool old collectables stores and lots of outside cafes and patios.

Plenty of different crafts to choose from. Have your walking shoes on. Parking sometimes is a problem. Worth the visit.

We had a guided tour with my friend, local historian, and author, Rebecca Farnbach. Although Temecula has spread far and wide since my last visit in the mid 1960s, it is wonderful to see the outstanding commitment to historic preservation. We especially appreciate the balance between development for a sustainable local economy and honoring the unique history of Temecula. We will definitely return soon, as there is so much to learn about Old Town Temecula. Bravo!

Great place to eat, drink and shop in Old Town Temecula on a cool summer night! I have always enjoyed my visits to Old Town Temecula, you will too!

We stopped by Old Town on a Saturday evening as we arrived to town for a weekend of winery tours. There are so many charming shops including one selling everything lavender! There are several restaurants many of which have live music. Parking may be difficult to find on the street past 5pm or so on the weekend but there is a parking garage with signs for directions to it as you pass under the entrance arch. Makes for a great evening stroll enjoying great weather!

This is an interesting short drive away from Palm Springs. The area has wineries (but avoid Leone’s - rip off and poor service), and also this small are of about 5 blocks of an ole western town. It’s kitschy and a bit of a tourist trap for folks from LA and San Diego but a few fun shops and a bunch of decent places to have lunch or coffee.

My first visit to Temecula Valley Cheese Company took place in April 2023. The owner of the store turned out to be a nice and very friendly woman; Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. She paid a lot of attention to us and helped us choose cheeses that suited our taste and mood. The selection of cheeses was wonderful. We left the store wanting to come back again when we were in the area.
We are back in August 2023....OMG!!! Where is the shop?!!!! We asked the owner of a nearby antique store if he knew what happened to the cheese company? Has the store moved to a new location? But we didn't get an answer, he didn't know.
The store was there for 15 years.......
5th St Ste 101 Just off Front Street on the River Side, Temecula, CA 92590-2728
Question: Expensive?
A. YES
Question: Is it worth it?
A. YES!!!
Sad, very sad, I liked this store.....

Old Town Temecula is one street and a few side streets with several older buildings and new buildings built to meet the feel of the old west. It is very small and there are some good restaraunts. There seemed for be alot of construction going on as tourism increases in this wine country town.

Beautiful little area. Full of shops, restaurants, lil gift shops, entertainment. A good walking area. Good for weekend fun. Mini arcade too.

Need a unique gift for that special event or person? You'll probably
find it in Old Town Temecula. From Lavender Hand Creams and soaps at The Lavender Shop, to great items for your garden, check out all there is to offer in Old Town then treat yourself to a Latte and Biscotti! Enjoy!

Always a fun little town to stroll through with lots of fun restaurant options. I wish there was a bit more shopping and variety.

This is the best old town you are going to get in the IE for miles from here. Classic charm and ambience filled with good restaurants and shops. A few times a year they have special events that come through and are entertaining and fun to see. Even the newer buildings or design and build to resemble old classic charm. Everything from burgers to Mexican food and wine, olive oil and cheese tasting will satisfy most hunger pains. A better time to visit in the fall or early spring when it’s nice and cool out, otherwise prepare for a very hot day.

We went to the 'Taste of Temecula' in Old Town. This is a paid event of tasting food/beverages at different locations throughout Old Town. It does sell out every year. There are also shops to stop by and enjoy 'treats' as well as buy ornaments or candles, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around and discovering new restaurants or shops to return!

While there are a few typical touristy shops, most of the shops were quite unique and delightful! We had a grand time! We also walked into many of the restaurants and read the menus. They all had lots of people in them and smelled WONDERFUL! But we had just had lunch at a place called EAT (yum!) which I will review on their listing.

nothing to do here but eat, no good shopping to be done, nothing for kids to do guess they don't want them there. just like plain toast, SO boring.

We went by this place on the way to San Diego probably 100 times and did not know about it. This time we had a chance to visit. What a great place. It has a number of brewpubs with great food, antique stores with cool things and just historic buildings.

A quick drive through us all you need. Maybe stop for a meal. Not much to see in this town. The best reason to go is all the wineries.
Would return to try more of the wineries.
Excellent wines in this regions.

Would have given them a Five Star but the city is taking up sidewalks and putting down a new wood. Good for the city but noisy. There a a lot of lovely stores and antique stores. We love antique stores and they have 3 high quality.

We drove through and stopped in for a drink at 1909. It is loud with all the motorcycles driving slowly through and nothing caught our attention to stay more than 30 mins. Many cars just driving through to show off. Saw the same cars drive by over and over.

We had a great morning looking into the little specialty shops downtown. Shop owners/workers were helpful and very friendly. Just enjoyed exploring what the town offered.

This quaint little old town is located along the Interstate 15 freeway between Los Angeles and San Diego in Sunny Southern California. It has an interactive children science museum named PennyPickles, very popular for kids and adults alike! It has a live reenactment of the distant past when Temecula was called home by the ranchers and cowboys! So don't worry about the gunshots 😀 it's part of the history of Temecula! A decent theatre featuring local talents is next to the museum. Temecula has giftshops featuring local Indian artifacts along with lots of restaurants and tavernas. Temecula, being a wine country offers a number of wine tasting rooms at the Old Town with tours to vineyards and amazing hot air balloon rides! There's a famous fresh public market on Saturday mornings! You will also find a spacious parking structure next to the City Hall....so get ready for a very pleasant stroll to Old Town Temecula!
Old west charm...
Its California's southern wine country and its just a great hidden gem. I cannot say enough things about what to do there. From wine tasting to hot air balloon rides. Its has a great family charm with some outstanding couples only options for a quick retreat from the everyday stress!
