We visited and had THE BEST TIME on the moonshine tasting with Ashley A for my bachelorette weekend! The moonshine was good but the laughs and camaraderie with Ashley A. was even better! I’d come again FOR SURE!!

Just finished a tasting with Julie who made the experience loads of fun! A great experience in Gatlinburg! Stop in and enjoy!

Great tour, Ashley A was great. She was funny and made it enjoyable for my 16 yr old niece did a great job of putting her own twist on the information.

You have to go to say you've done it.It's worth the eight bucks you pay for the premium tasting... and as long as you have a great bartender, it is so much fun. It's quick and you're done in about ten minutes, but it's one of the most fun sample tasting we did

Our family had a BLAST on our Ole Smoky Distillery tour with guide, Brooklyn! She made us feel right at home with a fun and energetic personality topped with a lifetime of knowledge. The moonshine is incredible and we went home with more than we could carry. Luckily, they sell coolers and have a great store for merchandise. Make sure to book your tour/experience for your next trip!

My friends and I visited Ole Smoky in Nashville we loved the Moonshine tastings our hostess Hannah was the absolute best!!! Kendal helped us find what we needed shared a drink recipe with us and was really funny. At the counter to check out Caleb and Sav H were so friendly and helpful! I will recommend this to our friends!!

Had an amazing experience overall. But the highlight was our host for the tasting Spanky. Great, charismatic, and funny.

Tasting was a lot of fun thanks to Rick! The moonshine was great and the conversation was lively. A definite go to on the trip!

Moonshine tasting is worthwhile here with lots of varieties to buy in the shop. Worth a walk around if you are passing by.
Lots of flavors to try and worth thee 5 or 10 dollars it cost to do it.

Ole Smoky is our favorite over their competition and has become a must-visit when in Gatlinburg. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is friendly & helpful, and the tastings and product selection are great! Highly recommend!

We did the distillery tour and had such a fun time. Tim, the guide was extremely funny and had everyone in the group laughing. He is very knowledgeable about the process and the product. The tour itself is about 30mins, then there is about 30mins of tastings. The tastings are small (about 0.5 oz), which is good because this tour had us tasting about a dozen different flavors. We also go a t-shirt at the end, good quality. I highly recommend this tour.

We took the taste test and cashing out, Ryan took care of us and she was so pleasant and fun. We really enjoyed talking to her and we could tell she loves talking to people and pointing them in the right direction. Good going Ryan!

Good tour guide, entertaining - interesting information and history. Tour is short, and time to sample some of the moonshine only about an hour. Price of tour - reasonable and you get a t-shirt! Be prepared to purchase some of the moonshine you sampled - you'll want to take it home-the flavored ones are delicious!

It was a great experience! Learning a bit about distillation and what they have to offer in the store was a tasty delight. We did the whole tour and tasting, Highly recommend to see the behind the scenes operations was fun for our whole group!

Love coming to Ole Smoky every time I visit! Maddox was the best bartender/moonshiner! They helped me pick out my Hillbilly Louis Vuitton (aka the cooler!) and left in perfect redneck fashion! Sugarlands is better. They have a rule against sharing but the bartender we had didn’t pay attention to the fact that my boyfriend passed on the shot and got mad I took it. And said “I’ll pretend I didn’t see that”. Then pretend all you want. I paid for it and you didn’t do your job. Not my fault you didn’t notice he passed on it. Pay attention.

My friends and I did the Behind the Still tour with the 13 tastings of Ole Smoky moonshine and whiskey. Our bartender, Terry, was very knowledgeable and a great guide.
The tour is worth the $38 a person. You get a free shirt, 2- $5 vouchers and 1- 10% off voucher to use in the store, plus the 13 sample shots. Compared to other places on the strip where you are paying $15 for one cocktail drink, $38 for this tour carries a lot more value.

Great tour! Ashley is hilarious, informative, and fun while talking through the distillery processes and serving drinks. Amazing time for a group.

Got into an altercation with people beside me. They were pushing and yelling like they were at a rock concert and when I tried to get them to stop then management told me to leave and they got to stay. They didn’t even know what was going on. I will never go back there

Terry is PHENOMENAL. This tour was a last minute surprise for my wife and I and I couldn’t even dream of a single regret. I love doing something where you can SEE the passion another human being has in his job. Highly recommend this for anyone. The sampling was also so entertaining and great.

The tour was one room. Not worth the money. 40 dollars to stand in the back for 20 mins and then you get a t shirt. The tasting was fun but you could just go in and do the same tasting for 8 dollars.

I have to say we did not know what to expect. But we wanted to do something out of the box. If you know what I mean. The tour was excellent and Terry our tour guide was great! The history and stories about distilling moonshine was awesome. We found out that It was the distilling of moonshine that actually gave the Great Smokey Mountains it's name. Gatlinburg and the Ole Smokey Smokey Distillery is a trip for your future travels.Great

We had a great time on the tour! Terry was a fantastic guide & was very informative about the distilling process, as well as being friendly and engaging. The small tastings of 13 different liquors were so fun! Terry talked about the background of each liquor & gave us ideas for drink and food recipes. We loved the products so much & purchased enough to get a free wagon 😂! I highly recommend this distillery & tour.

We were on our way to our room and decided to stop in for a tasting. We waited patiently on the side for the group before us to finish. When they were finished we waited for Jessica V the one serving to check our I.D. She never did or even acknowledge us. Another employee came and told us that we had had too much. We explained that this was only our second stop. He said maybe we were slurring or speaking slow. Jessica V never acknowledged us or spoke to us & had no reason to act this way to us. We politely left. This was the most embarrassing uncalled for & unprofessional encounter we had on our 10th year anniversary trip.

It is a lot of fun. I was in the area for a bachelor party and this is the highlight of the trip. Tim is great and tells great stories and jokes during the tour.

This was my first time doing a distillery tour. My husband, myself and our daughter and her husband did the tour together. We totally enjoyed the experience. Terry was our tour guide and taste test guide. We could not have had a more enjoyable guide. Definitely a big shout out for Terry!! Thank you for a wonderful tour!

I went to the moonshine tasting at Ole Smokey in Gatlinburg. Addy was my server and as many times as I've been here she was by far the best one that ever waited on me. She took her time and explained everything about the moonshine. Since I don't like coffee flavor and am allergic to peanuts she offered me two different flavors to try. She would give you fresh cups for the edibles and cream flavors as well the other flavors. She would wipe off the bar every time she served if something would had spilled. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Addy made this a terrific experience💙

Our tour guide (as well as the one before us) were very entertaining and informative. We don't drink alcohol but wanted to learn about moonshine and how its made so we paid for the "children's ticket". We stayed after the tour to listen and watch the "tasting" part, which was also enjoyable to hear about. Very nice facility too. So many yummy sounding flavors that I wished I did drink. My husband was in a motorized wheelchair so we had to turn off the power and manually take him on the tour but that wasn't a problem. He could not see into the big tubs but I took pictures to show him.

Ashley A was very accommodating of my family where everyone didn’t drink but some did. She was so funny and answered all of our questions!!

We did a moonshine tour and it was amazing! Laven could not have been more hospitable, and she made our tour 10x better. I would highly recommend this and if Laven is working, you are definitely in good hands!

We did a Premium Tasting and Julie was great. She was full of information on what would mix well with the flavors we tasted. We had a pregnant woman who was not participating in the tasting and Julie made sure to include her in the conversation. We definitely recommend Julie.

This is located in on the main strip in Gatlinburg. Each location has different flavors that others don't have if you're looking for a specific flavor call head. Outside they have some rocking chairs and live entertainment along with a display of a still and still room. There are parking garages and on street parking some for free if you can find a spot.

Loved this place. The tour with Brooklyn was easily a 10/10. She’s very engaging. My husband and I came with our adult children, 4 couples total.

Had a really great tour, got to taste the Blue Flame moonshine that was bottled that day in the distillery. Then we also tried 13 or 14 different samples during or tasting. Terry was our guiede and was very knowledgeable about the products. I would definitely go again, either by myself with friends.

The Behind the Scenes Tour at Ole Smoky Distillery was Amazing and that was largely in part to our host, Brooklyn. She was funny, knowledgable, and an overall nice person. Brooklyn made sure that we were informed about the history of the distillery and had us laughing the whole time with her wit and humor. The tasting was Awesome...the communion church cups might look small, but you will definitely be feeling the effects when you're done. Make sure that you take some moonshine home with you, especially the ones that are labeled 'Distillery Exclusive.'

Went and took the tour last week and what a great experience! We had Ashley for a tour guide and I can't say anything negative. The entire staff is great customer service oriented. But Ashley went above and beyond. I'm a photographer so she also helped me get some great shots. Took her time to answer any and all questions you could ask. If she didn't know the answer she went and got it. I would absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THEIR TOUR!

We had a great time at Ole Smoky in Gatlinburg. Terry led our tour and tasting, and kept things lively and funny. It was really interesting to learn about the history and process of making moonshine. We tried 13 different flavors during the tasting! They have quite an extensive store. We spent awhile shopping and used our coupons received during the tour. We also received t-shirts for attending the tour. If you buy certain increments of moonshine pints, you will receive corresponding sizes of totes. The tour + tasting was well worth the $, and throughout the rest of the trip we kept talking about how much fun it was.

Strolling downtown Gatlinburg and looking to taste some moonshine so we walked in and had a great experience. LeBron our bar guy who described each sipping we were taking was entertaining and informative. They do daily samplings. Friends and I come to Gatlinburg once a year from Pa. We had so much fun at Ole Smokey. We were lucky enough to have a private serving with a young Taste Maker named JoJo. We also went today and we ended up at his station. He is very knowledgeable, and funny. Everyone had a great time. Can’t wait for our trip next year. Love Popcorn’s shine and bourbon.

Spring break 2025 with the girls! We decided to do a tasting and had the time of our lives! Our host was funny and the people tasting with us were great. We laughed like none other. We all decided that we should do it again. So watch out Gatlinburg!

My husband booked a tour with Redneck Comedy Bus tour. We didn't know what we were getting into,however, we had laughs all the way to Gatlinburg. Besides Moonshine there were t-shirts and other great items to bring back home.

If you go to Gatlinburg, TN, you MUST go to see the "behind the still" tour of Ole Smoky Distillery, The Holler! It was a fascinating experience, made better with our guide, Brooklyn! This is not my first time visiting this location but I keep finding that the experience gets better and better. We did not do the tasting so I cannot comment on that but O was blown away by the additional selections and distillery exclusives. We did the Hooch hop (buy 1item of any cost from all 3 locations) and got a free t shirt!!! MARY helped ring me up and she couldn’t have been kinder. She explained a lot of new things like distillery exclusives and why I don’t see all the flavors at my local Total Wines. She was the best.

The distillery part of the tour was fairly short, kind of in and out of the area, but you got a lot of information and the guide covered it all. The tasting part was at the end and it took the most amount of time but you got to try lots of different kinds of moonshine and whiskey.
If you end up having Brooklyn as your guide, you are in for a treat. She is hilarious! Many jokes were told by her and they were actually funny! She had the whole group laughing. She will keep it rated G or PG if needed.

Melissa was amazing at the moonshine tasting. Really enjoyed it. I had a ball. The different moonshine shots hit the spot every time.

The sipologists are very experienced in what they do. They are helpful with your questions and even give suggestions on what to mix or sip the different flavors with.

We were very excited to do the moonshine tasting. It was our first stop after arriving. We went in the evening, and our bartender was obviously very tired and did not want to be there. We were expecting it to be fun, to interact with the bartender and other couples. We could tell he just wanted to get it over with. It was very disappointing. We went back the next two days hoping to get to try other flavors, but the tasting had the exact same flavors all three days. The tasting at Sugarlands is so much better. The bartender was hilarious, he involved everyone around the bar, and you get 12 different flavors, they are different every night, and if you want to try other flavors, there is a bar in the back where you can try all the flavors and even order drinks that are made with the moonshine.

Great atmosphere as well

We did the guided tour and loved it. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the extra money rather than just paying for the tasting but it was. The workers are great. They do a l great job at making it entertaining and funny while also very informative. It was interesting to learn about the process of it being made. You also get a nice t shirt included which is like a $30 value alone. You also get to taste moonshine in the back that is 190 proof…
Definitely worth it! Great moonshine flavors as well. Great experience.
