One of Orange Beach's "Secrets"

By James N |

We are locals and visit this park almost daily. It is a great find. Not only does it have a terrific children's play area, it also has a beautiful (and well maintained) fishing pier, plenty of convenient parking and something you won't find almost anywhere -- a glass blowing shop. You can even take glass blowing lessons with a little advance planning. The park is, well, just a park. But it is always clean, a super place to take little ones swimming, and a convenient kayak launch. Lots of people paddle board from the park as the water just off the park is generally well sheltered and often smooth. There are plenty of picnic areas, clean bathrooms, and a very convenient place with a water hose to wash everyone and everything off. The best compliment I can give the park is a statement made to me by a recent visitor we happened to bump into. They asked, "Why is this great park always so empty?"

Beautiful

By Tamara Christie |

Our condo was directly next to this. Beautiful scenery and so relaxing. Kids enjoyed fishing off the pier and playing in the water. Will definitely be back.

Great Spot for an after dinner Walk

By Chrissy K |

My husband and I stopped here after dinner. Beautiful sunsets on the water! Great spot for fishing off the dock too. Nice little sandy area to put your feet in the water.

Delightful park

By Ann K |

This park is the. Site of the annual Orange Beach Art festival and is adjacent to the Orange Beach arts buildings. The main building is scheduled to open in June. The park has a beautiful long pier that extends into Wolf Bay. The park has many beautiful plantings. It has a large interesting playground, picnic shelters with tables and restroom facilities. Lovely spot to bring a picnic.

Great Beach and Facilities

By Joe V |

It is a beach, not much to improve on but the restrooms and the parking lots were clean. There was a chest of beach toys to use while you were on the beach.

Nice place to fish, crab, swim, and see the dolphins!

By Stacey K |

We went here to crab, and while we are beginners, we did catch one crab. It wasn't too busy or loud, and families were enjoying fishing, crabbing, and swimming near and on the shaded, large pier. I saw some people reeling in a few good fish, and there was a large heron hanging out eating the small ones from their hands! We also saw a small pod of dolphins swim by about 10 feet in front of us. Bathrooms nearby and plenty of access to the bay. An all around good place to hang out and enjoy some family time in nature.

Not just for locals.

By Tidemom2011 |

If you and the kiddos are tired of the sand and sun, come over to Canal Road and visit the waterfront park. It’s a great place to unwind and have some good photo ops away from the beach. But please respect the rules and don’t litter (diapers, etc).

Picnic style

By Tonya B |

very nice place to have a picnic. we even got to watch a wedding. there is also a public restroom and its clean.

Sick of Sand?

By janscruggs |

A great break from the beach. This is a good water park if you like water parks. I'm getting too old and my grand-children are too young, but their mommies and daddies are just right!

By LSUTraveller |

Winter season, and crowds were very low (non existent). Beach was clean, with lots of birdlife and dolphins. Convenient and well kept.

Breathtaking

By Harediva |

This was a day trip from Destin and well worth it!
The sand is like sugar and there is the best seashells strewn everywhere . Super clean bathrooms with a picnic area with shade . A+++++

By Jason W |

We love this park! My family had so much fun here! This park is perfect for a picnic or just a great place for the family to go and hang out. There is nothing better than relaxing by the water. We will definitely be back.

Playground near water

By beetlebaileyCool |

Fun playground near the water. Good coveted area with benches and grills provide a place to sit while the kids played. Good for younger kids.

Absolutely wonderful vacation destinaion. We enjoy going after school starts to avoid so many kids.

Great family atmosphere. Only 6 hours from home. So much to do at Orange Beach. Very Friendly people at every place we visited...

Amazing

By Phillip |

Fine white sand, warm water and easy access with many shops and places to eat and relax. This was a place I would not have known about if not told about if by a concierge at the hotel we were at. I would definately plan a longer vacaton just to stay there.

A Pretty Little Park

By Chipperhigh2 |

Orange Beach Waterfront Park may not be huge, but has a lot packed into it. There are picnic tables, charcoal grills, a nice children play area, a beautiful pier, two rest rooms, etc. My wife and I enjoyed walking around the park, out on the pier and then enjoyed the view of the water. A wonderful municipal park.

Sand dollars by the hundreds!!

By ChicagoDon |

Miles of clean beaches to enjoy a stroll at water's edge.
Dolphins whales can be seen if you are lucky.

Seashells, sand dollars and star fish up and down beach makes each walk different as the sea changes the shore each night.

A few jellyfish washed up one day. Huge! Yuck!!

Do not feed the birds. A few kids did send their parents were spending more time chasing these bird-brains away then enjoying their families.

Serenity

By J.c. H |

I love to come here. I've came in February, March and now December. The calm non crowded beaches always make me want to move here.

Great place to walk and take pictures

By Pablo V |

I've been there at 8pm, on end of sunset. Beautiful and calm place to enjoy with family and friends. On the summer, I suggest be there around 7pm to enjoy more time of sunset.

Enjoy the sun, scenery and playground with the kids

By laurae1998 |

Great park for kids, adjacent to the Wolf Bay Pier (kids love that too) and the Art Center. Good equipment and plenty of room to swing, slide and climb in a very well kept park.

Cold but beautiful

By Tansy2015 |

March is hit and miss for warm weather. We missed it, only in the 50,s the week we were here. But the sun is very warm and if you put your back to a dune and get out of the wind it’s really warm. The water temperature was warmer than the air so you could swim and be warm as the air was frigid.

Great opportunity for a free activity

By Eugene T |

We love to walk around the park, and take our little cousins to the kids park. Orange Beach is such a diverse and beautiful place.

Great Park

By Mindy M |

We needed a place to take our puppy to when we picked her up from boarding kennels each day on our vacation due to most hotels in orange beach are not pet friendly. We found this park on the 2nd day we was there and it worked out perfectly for us. We went every day after that so our furbaby could stretch her legs and get some play time in. Its a Big park and they have a dock to walk out on. Lots of shade and even a place to get into the water at. clean restrooms and running water for pets to drink from by the benches. It is kept up very well and very beautiful. Glad it was there when we needed it.

Pleasant surprise

By Shari L |

We brought our 6 year old and our dog here while on escape from Hurricane Irma. I was pleasantly surprised by this little park. Giant playground for our son; trails for our dog; porch swings by the bay; cute sliver of a beach with awesome trees that have exposed roots growing into the water; long pier for fishing; and lots of pavilions with benches. I really liked it.

There were also 4 very nicely designed, southern style properties there. They must be event rentals.

Nice place for kids

By Cliff T |

Nice place for grand kids to romp. Pleasant and clean with good playground equipment. Enjoyed watching the boats along the canal.

A great park!

By summeradavis |

Love this park! Well maintained, clean bathrooms, covered picnic tables, grills, sidewalk down to Wolf Bay.

Relaxing on Wolf Bay

By Jerry J |

Waterfront Park on Canal Road in Orange Beach, AL is nestled along Wolf Bay with beautiful views. It is so relaxing to stroll on the pier or along Wolf Bay. Sit in a swing and feel your stress level diminish. It is a must visit if you are in Orange Beach.

What a delightful place the city has built for anyone to enjoy a little peace and serenity.

By Tori N |

We love a good green space. My husband & I enjoy being outdoors. This park is clean and beautiful. I haven't been to too many waterfront parks. This park sits along the banks of the back bay waters.

Great park

By Agnieszka M |

Awesome park with a beautiful path that is great for bikes, rollerblades. Enjoyed it with my family.

Good playground

By NetaVee |

Very nice playground for kids. Well built. Covered pavilions offer shaded area for parents to sit unless they are reserved for a picnic group. As stated, it is on the waterfront in Orange Beach. Thanks to the city for providing a nice venue.

Nice stroll in the park with art

By johnsonhouse |

The pier is in very good shape. Good for a quiet walk, take in some nature, and take some pictures. Pottery and glass blowing shop on site is neat. There is a little art shop as well.

Great playground!

By Lisa G |

Children of all ages enjoyed this playground. It was a fun ninja course type thing. Great fun for all ages..lots to do here!

Quiet, clean park

By Winks |

We come here often to enjoy the serenity of the park and look out on the lake. There is also free wifi which works great! There is a pottery and glass blowing facility nearby with beautiful items you can purchase.

Great stop on a cloudy day with toddlers!

By houmalagirl |

I am always looking for outings with my little ones, and this park was a great find for a cloudy day. They ran around for 45 minutes on the very clean playground equipment. It looked like there may be canoe rentals to take out on the bay. I'd love to go back and check it out!

great place to take your kids

By crosbyllc |

located on the water..great views, have things for children to do,such as swings..very casual.great location and very safe..

Granddaughter cried when we left

By Bargainlover2016 |

We took our 3 year old granddaughter to the park last March when we were in Orange Beach on vacation. She just loved all the things hat were available o climb on and over. The park includes toys that are designated for different ages or skill levels.

sugar sand

By Stephen B |

We are an older couple and we just love going to the beach and playing in the water, so for what it's worth we would rate this beach as excellent. There were plenty of families with small children and plenty of things for families to do judging by the smiles on all the faces we saw. wonderful beach! For the native of Orange Beach, thank you your hospitality. You were so kind to us.

Like Rapunzel"s Tower

By Marsha C |

Great playground. Also, lovely place for a picnic. My two year granddaughter thought the turets looked Rapunzel's tower.

Great way to end our vacation!!

By Katy P |

We stopped here before getting on the road back home to Shreveport, LA with our 2 & 4 year old girls so they could get some energy out before the long drive. This was the best!! I packed a little bag for the beach and some dry clothes and sandwiches.. they played at the park, when we got hot we walked to the little beach area to swim and they loved it!!! The water was so calm and it was a shady area, just the best time. I actually enjoyed it more than the big beach back at the condo!! There’s a pier for fishing, restrooms, and a shower on the dock. Great find!!

Clean, free parking, and umbrella chairs

By Jen4298013 |

Love the beach. It's lovely white sands are great. It's very clean. There are beach chairs you can rent even if you aren't staying at the beach. It's not too crowded or noisy. Plenty of room for everyone! And the surf is gentle.

Nice playground but no shade!

By Jenny M |

Husband and I went here with our 2 year old around 130-2pm on a Thursday. We were excited because the park was deserted and we had it all to ourselves. We soon found out why: there was no shade, the sun was hot and so was all the equipment! Even though the slides were plastic, they were VERY hot to the touch. We wanted to stay longer but didn't due to nothing being shaded. The playground was awesome and very well designed with plenty of slides, swings, nooks and crannies for a kid's imagination to run wild. If we are back in the area, we would go again but would make sure it was either early morning or later afternoon. There were also vending machines and covered picnic tables right by the playground too.

Upgraded Area

By TravelGeist89 |

I went here for the first time in several years and was surprised to see the new pier and boardwalk along the water. I used to come here all the time with my dogs to take them to play in the water. It's still a nice spot.

RELAX RELAX RELAX

By Don M |

Great smaller park with nice boardwalk very safe & clean
Fun when they have art in park at location.
benches on boardwalk you can sit & watch dolphin/boats/people
shaded area
Great kids playground with picnic tables & bathrooms
Art museum for adults too.

Great playground for young kids!

By LosLobosLogan |

We stopped here on Mother's Day for a picnic. Our kids (ages 2, 5, 6, 10) all enjoyed the playground as Dad and I enjoyed the shade at the picnic tables nearby. After eating and playing for a bit we enjoyed walking out on the pier before returning to the playground. Bring hats and sunscreen as there's little shade on the playground! The play area is fenced in for peace of mind and offers multiple levels of bridges and walkaays as well as traditional swings and slides. We saw some older kids playing hide-and-seek with their parents! Looked like it would be fun with older kids! We will definitely return on future visits to the area.

Great Place to Spend the Day

By Randy W |

My wife and I spent several days on the beach. One day we just played in the water and then watched the sun set. Lots of people were on the beach everyday we were there. Another day we took some beach chairs and just sat and enjoyed the water and brought along a lunch and a few drinks. It was a blast every time we went there. Lots of people to watch as well.

Playground

By Trigerfish |

Great fun for kiddos and adults with picnic areas, back beach and pier and great playground area. Also has public restrooms.

Wonderful little park

By juju1220 |

We had some time to spare before our dolphin cruise and came across this little park. It was beautiful and had a nice pier that went into Wolf Bay. Very relaxing and quiet.

The Pavilion, The Oasis and the Flying Harpoon!!

By Crystal M |

We visited the pavilion. Great place we went there before our check-in time for our condo. Bathrooms are locked until 8am. But when it rained we had shelter. The flying Harpoon has great food and live music. The condo at the oasis was very expensive but the rooms are worth every penny. The beach and water was very clean and nice! Even as a tropical disturbance moved through.

Super Fun!

By Candy R |

Lazy river, hot tubs, wave pool, water volleyball and basketball, and even a baby pool makes this attraction fun for all age groups! Very enjoyable!

Orange Beach Alabama 2019

By katherinegann |

Orange Beach Alabama is what I think of when it comes to beaches. The sand is white, water clear, waves from the Gulf of Mexico gentle and relaxing. Definitely want to go back. If you are wanting to rent beach chairs and umbrella they are reasonably priced. Rent starts around $35. I saw dolphins right from the shore, man rays you will see them jump right out of the water. Definitely made my top five best beaches.

I didn't like this beach. Stayed at condo next door.

By DonnaPixie |

I was disappointed by what was done to the entire beach area. They created a very tall sand barrier between the water and the beach area. In order to walk on the beach you had to walk at a 30 degree angle up and down the beach. This prevented finding shells or sitting close to the water. The sand between the barrier and the condos was so deep and light that you sunk down to your ankles with every step. I didn't like this beach at all.

Wonderful for Kids.

By Debra H |

We didn't have a lot of time to spend, and the children were disappointed. But it was such a wonderful spot for them to play. They enjoyed the "castle-like" structures, and it was a big variety along with the swings and usual playground equipment. The picnic tables made it a great place to meet. This is a really nice park for Orange Beach and we enjoyed every minute of it.

very nice playground

By heidihh2015 |

This is a great park. You can sit in swings and over look the water. Wonderful new castle play park for kids. There is a pier you can sun or fish off. It is a very neat and clean place to visit.

Huge and beautiful

By Jana R |

This place is very close to docs restaurant, maybe 3 blocks if that. Walk or drive but it's worth it. We had a 45 min wait so i took the kids. You have the play area, nice walk to water, the deck out on water with great views of the sunset. Some kids were older but they enjoyed it. Played game of tag because it's huge play area. There's a few shops right next to it. One works with glass and you can go watch. Maybe take class I'm not sure but looked really cool.

Lovely

By Sue G |

This lovely park has many advantages over other parks. It has a lovely children's playground, beach access, lovely live oaks for shade, picnic tables and pavilions. It is adjacent to the "new" Orange Beach Art Gallery, pottery studio and hot shop studio.

Great view of Wolf Bay

By FA18_Super_Hornet |

One of my favorite places for sunset photos . . . at least until George Barber builds his "bridge to nowhere" right across the middle. Enjoy it while you can.

Awesome Kids Park!

By Sara E |

This park is fantastic! Perfect for kids and has several picnic areas. There is a nice fishing pier at the end of this park, perfect for enjoying sunsets over the bay!

Nice afternoon

By Dad2aprincess |

We enjoyed a nice afternoon at this park. Some of it is under refurbishment, so not all playground activities are open. Parking is close and free. There is a dock for water access and people were swimming, but there was no beach area.

Great pier

By roadtrip869 |

Very nice, they even have free WIFI! Great pier to view or fish from. Lots of parking. There is a great play park for young children.

Great activity for family with children

By dreamshack2011 |

This is a very nice, clean park for parties, picnics, or just playing and relaxing. The waterfront is beautiful with large swings to just chill. The kids love the playground.

A playground when you need it

By leannegrad |

Also near the art center and a highly rated restaurant. It's nothing amazing, but if your kids are playground age, you know how important it is to their day. The crow's nest is sufficiently high to make a preschooler proud to have climbed up (daddy--come up here!).

This park is beautiful and fun.

By Diane M |

What a beautiful family park for all ages. I took my grandchildren and we had a blast. Needless to say that they didn’t want to go home. I highly recommend this park for children of all ages because they can have fun while being safe and secure. There is a 400’ fishing pier, covered pavilions, grills, nice restrooms, with a paved walking path and adequate parking. It is also lighted for the kids to play on the slides, swings and very fun climbing areas. The community is lucky to have this park in their back yard.

Family Fun

By Todd P |

If your looking for a great place to take small children this place is great. It has plenty of places to have picnics....it has views of the bay and the "fort" type playground is great for all kids of any ages. We always spend at least one afternoon with my daughter here.

Change of pace from beach/pool

By DrKing01 |

Nice playground for all ages! Lots to do and great space for a picnic including tables and grills. There is also an ice walking path. Great place to change up the day.

By LSG2011 |

Pack a lunch and head to the park ! Great playground for children . Covered picnic tables perfect for lunch . Make sure you head to the pier to check out the beautiful wolf bay ! You might see some fishermen at the end of the pier having some luck ! Take your time and enjoy the views ! Lots of swings to sit in and admire the beauty of orange beach !

Grandchildren love it

By Kathy S |

My grandchildren love it. We have held birthday parties here because of the nice amenities and at the back of the parch theere is a nice pier extending out into the bay.

Hidden Gem

By Andrea C |

We loved this quiet little park. It has perfect wooden swings overlooking the bay....a great place to relax and enjoy the view!

Great Stop When in Orange Beach

By WIhappytraveler |

My husband & I are winter residents in Orange Beach, staying 5 to 5 1/2 months annually. We will frequently stop at this park, we love the walk out onto the pier. There is a bathroom facility, picnic area, as well as benches to sit on overlooking the bay, there is also a play area for children.

Beautiful view of the bays, a swimming/picnic area and playground

By Sylvia D |

You can walk out on the pier for a great view of passing tugs pushing barges, ski boats, sail boats and dolphins. In spring and summer you can swim - too cold in winter. Shallow water for the children. Some people fish from the pier. I've never had good luck from this pier.

Art museum and Art fair

By Sandy E |

Awesome day at the art fair that had something for everyone. A variety of artists, working exhibits, entertainment, and food vendors. It was a great way to spend a day.

Good place for kids

By mikki777 |

They have what looked like a Noah's Ark style theme for the kids park next to the water front park. Which is pretty. Also close to the art's center. This part of the area wasn't our favorite though overall. (Other than The Wharf which is on the same water.)

Tranquil

By spacejunky |

Not very many people there the day we went. It is a very nice small park that is dog friendly, close to restaurants and the beach. Has benches on the pier overlooking the water with high rails around the pier. Smells a little fishy around the rails from people fishing and cleaning their catch. Perfect place to take the children and dog to splash around in the water, have a picnic or just sit in the swing overlooking the water on the bays edge.

A Gem

By gloria430 |

This park is truly a gem! We visited because of a tip from a waitress at Rotello's (wonderful pizza). We mentioned we wanted to go to the public pier to watch the sunset & she said we should go to the "little park" instead. It's so quiet and peaceful with swings and benches to sit and we were nearly alone. The pier is long and the end features a covered area with several benches. The sunset was so beautiful and a visit from a heron on the railing was a treat with great pix of both. We're senior citizens, but I'd highly recommend bringing children to enjoy the super playground!

Great Park For A Family Picnic!

By Trip T |

This park is really nice! Clean restrooms, improved walking trails, adequate seating (benches & swings), children's play area, a great pier and boat docking area. It also has a nice small sand beach along the waterfront...

Sunset is Beautiful!

By Lauren B |

We took dinner to go and came here one night! We were surprised to see the most beautiful sunset from the swings and picnic tables. Our boys loved walking down the peer!

great place for kids birthday party

By mbledsoe3 |

had twin grandsons birthday with their friends and family three years in a row. lots of room to run and play safely. Beautifully maintained. Always clean.

Nice park for Kids to play

By webefishnphotography |

As a local, I participated in the building of several years ago. I have enjoyed taking grandsons to park to play. Lots of fun for kids and parents can enjoy relaxing moment as they watch them play. The pier is great for walk out on to watch beautiful sunsets from.

Not rebuilt from the hurricane yet

By Teri T |

I was looking for a location with beach sand, but not the huge waves of the gulf. After doing some research, I understood the pier and playground were in repair, but it was my understanding there was still sand we could set up on for the afternoon. This was not the case when we arrived. There is a small patch of sand that 3 adults already had their chairs on. This was the only spot to put a chair in the sand. The rest of the area was taken up by a pier running along the water's edge. The water was calm and the area is clean and beautiful. But it is not the place to spend the day with children.

What a great little park.

By towerdog3 |

We visit this little park on every trip. Wonderful little playground, right by the bay. Built by the community with lots of donations and dedication, it is a testament to what kind of town town this is.

Beautiful

By Summermj15 |

I love Waterfront Park!! We saw dolphins & pelicans. The scenery is beautiful with plenty of places to sit & watch the beautiful sunset. You have to go if you are planning a trip to the area.

My kids still love it

By Max K |

My children are now 11 and 13 and we have been visiting this park since they were 3 and 1. The girls still love going there. They play "hide and seek" and other games. Love to swing and run around. I highly recommend a visit to this park with your children. Then walk down to the water and the 200' pier out over the water. It's a fun little afternoon outing.

Okay place to visit

By Andrew F |

The waterfront park is nice...we took our dogs there to splash around a bit. But while the area to walk is quite long, it is difficult to negotiate around docks and obstacles. We gave up after just a few hundred yards.

Great for an afternoon walk

By Dave I |

Nice area for a hike around the park, very clean and well kept, friendly staff and lots of ample parking.

Amazing

By Garry M |

This is an a great beach area, lots of white sands. Great area for just walking in the sand. Highly recommend checking it out.

Quiet spot to soak in the views

By Aimee B |

This park is one of my favorite spots in Orange Beach. There is an amazing playground for kids and a few swings along the water in the back, not to mention a long pier out into Wolf Bay. There is a little beach area where I have seen sunbathers and families enjoying the water. Remember, this is on the bay so you'll have much calmer water than the gulf side!

Excellent area

By Diana B |

Beach is not crowded. There are restroom/changing facilities and a shower at the easy beach access. Beach is nicely maintained, and has lifeguards. There are no vendors or commerce(restaurants/shops).

Arts and Crafts Fair

By Michael R |

My wife have attended the arts/crafts fair here twice and have always been impressed. We are so glad that this area has such a fair annually. Please keep it going- and we'll keep going!

Beautiful beach!

By Audie B |

Great family beach. Beautiful white fluffy sand. They even have a big box of toys for the kids to play with, free!

Great place for families and it's FREE!

By stlMomma78 |

My kids 9 & 4 absolutely loved this park. We played twice at the park and they had a blast. The bathrooms are well kept and maintained and the entire park is just beautiful. We walked out on the pier and saw a few crabs. This park was never crowded and it was the perfect place to relax and let the kids burn up some energy. If it was up to the kids we would've spent every evening here!

Great place to take your kids or your dog, plus it is free!

By Toby F |

Younger kids will enjoy the playground which was being renovated during spring break...but you can also bring your dog to let them exercise here. The long pier is gorgeous place to view fisherman or occasionally a dolphin (as you can see in the attached pic). There's a beach area that some folks swim in, but it didn't look inviting to me. I did let the dog put her feet in and walk along the sand with my daughter (pictured). They also have a glass shop where they make beautiful items if you are into blown glass.

We liked it so well, we bought a place within walking distance of this park

By sam s |

Great place to go relax and watch the boats on the bay or if you are lucky, you may see a pod of dolphins. We often take some fold up chairs and set at the waters edge. While you are there, don't forget to drop in the Coastal Arts Center right there on the grounds. Pull up a rocking chair on the bay side, grab some free wifi and enjoy. Ps we liked the area so much, we bought a vacation home within walking distance to this park. The great trail system is close by as well. If you have kids, the play ground is fantastic. In the summer months, you will get a better sun set on Wolf Bay than you will at Cotton Bayou Beach.

Amazing park

By dms327 |

My kids LOVED this park. It's huge and really cool - we don't have anything like this at home. It is a mulch park so I suggest gym shoes over sandals. There are pretty walking trails at the property too.

A great dog park

By Bob L |

Have been to the dog park many times, and it keeps getting better, with more improvements every time. If your dogs like to swim, this is a great environment for them! Training obstacles, benches, some shade, a good diversion.

Beautuful

By Mohammed S |

Liked every thing . It's a very beautiful beach not very crowded and very soothing place people are freindly

Public pier and great playground

By Truman S |

Fish off the public pier; watch the dolphins; enjoy the playground. This park is well maintained and a great place to take the kids.

Great Park

By ADTPT |

This park is easy to find and has a large playground for children. They are currently renovating part of it so a portion was closed but there is still quite a bit of it open. We also walked the pier on the wharf and it is well kept and the view is pretty. There is also an art gallery there but we did not go into it due to having 2 small children.

Great fishing pier and park

By Kelly R |

A great place for fishing and family fun. Pier is great. Picnic areas, playground, beach access, and, my favorite, the swings. Will definitely go back!

Wonderful place

By Pat B |

My 4 yr old loved this place and the pier was awesome and people was catching fish. Loved the playground even though it was a little hot to play on it.

Family Park

By sueylt |

This is a great place to take the family if you have young children. You can spend the day or just part of the day here.

Mother's Day Visit

By EjayMobile_Alabama |

Our family spent Mother's Day afternoon here just relaxing and watching the grand kids play in the water. You can swim, fish on the pier, let the kids play on the playground, share a picnic or just relax and sit in one of the covered swings! Very laid back and relaxing!

Christmas picture destination

By JD P |

This park is great. We started going here when the kids were young because they wanted to play at the park. Now we go for the annual Christmas card photo shoot which is quite fun with to teenage aged boys...

Regardless of your family needs this place is worth a stop.

Family park

By Sharon C |

Loved this playground , not much in this area for small tots, our three year old grand niece loved it and did not want to leave . Besides the playground the park grounds are taken care of and well kept, I am sure the spring and warmer months it is beautiful. The washrooms were clean another plus!

Great Park For Kids To Play At, Then Stroll The Pier!

By jtrawinski |

Found this park after tips from locals. They advised that many times, dolphins are at the location at sunset, and this is a great place to view the sunset. We agree. We came a little early to view the sunset and found the play equipment for the kids to be great, but the beauty of the pier to be perfect. We didn't see any dolphins this time, but after talking to multiple people, they are definitely there a lot.

Halloween Display

By William L |

This is a nice clean small park on Wolf bay. There is a nice fishing pier. Dolphins can be seen often.
There is a halloween display of various figures. It was interesting.

Beautiful

By Gemkat13 |

Water was so pretty here! I figured it being February the water wouldn’t be very blue but it was! We drove the Gulf Coast on a day trip from Biloxi where the water was quite brown. We live in 1 mile from Lake Michigan up here in our home state of Michigan so it’s nice to travel down south to see turquoise blue water once in awhile. We were not disappointed. White sand beaches!

This was a fantastic children play area

To my shane I can't remember the name of the benefactor, but this was a brilliant play area. Children could climb, slide and fall all day, without getting bored. Is next to Arts Centre for adults

Quiet Park

The times I have visited this park, it's always had plenty of parking. Access to an Arts building shares the parking lot. There are two separate restroom facilities. The park boasts a nice finger pier.

Not impressed.

We were not impressed. We went to this place just to take our dog to the beach and/or for a walk. The park looked huge from the road but it's really not that big. Reality did NOT meet expectations. Maybe we went to the wrong area of the park and missed the best places?? However, if you have kids that are looking for a really nice playground this park does have a pretty impressive playground. The park itself didn't seem very busy at all whenever we went. We stuck around for about 10-15 minutes before deciding to go back to the bay.

Biggest playground....EVER!

We discovered the Orange Beach Waterfront Park on our way to eat supper at Shipp's Harbor Grill. My husband and I commented when passing by that it looked like a huge playground. We stopped on our way back to our condo to check it out. We then took our two-year-old there the next day. There are two parts to the playground, a regular part for those 5 and over and a "Tot Lot" for those 2-5. We were the only people playing when we visited but it was a great way for our daughter to get to play while we were visiting the beach.
We did use the restrooms and they were very clean and maintained considering they are public park restrooms. We walked over to the waterfront. I enjoyed sitting in the swings. My husband and daughter walked out onto the peer. It was a nice mid-week change of pace on our vacation.

Cool park but too hot

Great fun park! We should have come when it was cooler...like morning or evening. Most everything was too hot to slide, swing, grab. But they had fun running around! Kids are 4, 8, 10. Go to the coastal art center of Orange beach next door and watch the glass blowing artist do a demo....very cool to see!!!

Beautiful Park

This is a beautiful park for a walk, a children's playground, or to walk your dogs. It is well maintained and has lots of parking. The only problem was a number of guests allowing their dogs to frolic off-leash. This made it difficult to walk and control our dogs, so we cut our visit short.

Marvelous beaches

We were on a longer road trip and hadn’t much time for the marvelous beaches in Orange Beach. They are exactly how we imagined the perfect beach: white, fine sand, blue sky, some birds, lots of seashells, and very few people. I don’t know how that is during the high season or on weekends. We visited on an a Thursday and were practically the only ones. Also important is that these are public beaches with parking in front.
