Orange Beach Welcome Center Reviews

We should have stopped when we got to Orange Beach, but we didn't. Stopped the day we left to get maps. They had information for restaurants, things to do and see. It would of saved us time on the Internet.

Arriving in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, we knew what kinds of experiences we wanted to have, but weren't sure the best places to find them. The welcome center was extremely helpful. We were very impressed. It's a great place to start your Gulf Shores/Orange Beach trip.

We visited the welcome center twice and each time we were greeted less than warmly, as were the other visitors in there when we were. The information racks were neat and full.

Good info for newcomers or if you have been coming here for years.. and always a cup of coffee..

We stopped in on one of the first days of our vacation, and we were so glad that we did! The facility was very inviting, well organized with efficient, friendly staff members. A lovely lady named Gail was exceptionally helpful assisting us with planning economical activities and recommending some fabulous dinner spots. All visitors to the area definitely need to make this visit a priority!

Someone greeted us as we entered and gave us a bag with some info that we could add whatever we wanted to it. Questions were answered. Worth a stop.

Since the temperature was so cold time at the beach was very limited. After the second day of being on the beach with jeans and a sweat shirt we decided to see what else there was to do. Stopped in and was welcomed by friendly staff. Got some great ideas and planned to site see.

Great to our Association. Provided coupon books and handouts for everyone coming to the conference. Very nice touch.

The people inside doing the meet & greet were pleasant, helpful and locals, so had useful information.

I came to Orange Beach from Pensacola. The welcome center was placed well beyond the entry to the beach and hotel area. It was well lit, had clean restrooms, plenty of literature and a helpful staff. The coupons they had were not usable. It was not their fault. I went to one hotel, and as the coupon said walk ins only, I went in and they did not have rooms at that price, only higher. I tried another coupon at another hotel and same result. The other brochures and papers were informative and the durable bag they gave came in handy later when we were on the beach. The bag was water resistant and tear resistant so it was great for wet swim wear.

Answered all my questions, plenty of pamphlets to look at, easy access and a pretty view. Even got a gift when I signed in with FourSquare. Good place to start when you need area info

This welcome center is clean, welcoming, and open every day. There a racks and racks of information about dining, lodging, and activities of both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores as well as other places on the "Eastern Shore" (of Mobile Bay).

The attendants were very helpful, and can provide various maps of the area.

The restrooms were clean, and there is ample parking.

We have vacationed in Orange Beach several times. Our first stop always is the Visitor Center because we not only find out what fun things are going on in town while we’re here, but we also pick up a bag of goodies like the coupon book! We think the Visitor Center is staffed by wonderful folks. And it’s beautifully decorated.

Stop by the Orange Beach Welcome Center when you come into Orange Beach. The staff is friendly and they can give you a lot of information about local businesses.

We always stop by the welcome center for information pamphlets and of course any with dining or entertainment coupons. Lot's of information not only for travelers new to the Orange Beach but also those very familiar to the area.

Be sure and stop at the Orange Beach Visitor Center when coming into town! Beautiful, spacious interior! The folks there are more than happy to direct you to any information or activities that you may be looking for. They have a wealth of information for Tours, Lecture Series, Historical sites, Activities, Golf, Restaurants, Specialty shops and lots of coupons. Be sure to check out the local Newspapers in the bins outside, loaded with info too!

Very helpful and very friendly. You can get info on just about anything available in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. Definitely a worthwhile stop!

Bad attitude with no focus on those seeking information. Having the person in there was a waste of time and money as everything we accomplished was done without help.

The ladies who work here are very cordial and a joy to talk to. But mostly, they are extremely knowledgeable about the area and offered great maps, coupons, and information. Our first time visit was made much better because of the knowledge we obtained, and the help we were given. The facility is very clean and pretty- many bookcases hold informational brochures and pamphlets that are well organized.

Jan. visit to Orange Beach was great. The welcome centers in Alabama and Florida are the nicest places to stop and see what's happening locally before all your visiting time is gone.

Joy and Melynda helped my husband and I find just the right spot to celebrate our anniversary! They also helped us find some great tour offerings. If it's your first trip to the area, the Welcome Center should be the FIRST STOP!

Very helpful brochures and free coupon books will be available, but make sure you talk with the staff who really seem to know the area very well. Easy to find and on the main road.

We walked in to pick up some brochures, but the staff was so helpful on helping us with food places, attractions, and even the best shops to buy fresh seafood.

I highly recomend always visiting a welcome center when ever you visit a new city. They will have discount tickets for an attraction you may not have previously wanted to visit because of the cost! Plus advice on the best places to eat (in their opinions) and may find you a new thing that you did not know existed in that town.

It was a cold a dreary day, the ferry was down because of high winds. We stopped into the welcome center to see what was worth seeing. Lots of free coupons, directions and suggestions. Well worth the stop.

I stopped in on Tuesday August 27th to get information I was not greeted very well at all no one stood up and offered to help me I believe the girl's name at the desk with Melinda I had to speak first and as I was leaving I spoke last and told them to have a great day I will not be stopping back in this one I will stop back at the one in Pensacola as it is much more friendly for information that I needed I was the only one in there I would have thought and I would have gotten a little more attention

This Welcome Center and its sister center in Gulf Shores is always staffed with intelligent, knowledgeable staff that truly make you feel welcome!! Lots of brochures, discount coupons, even a telephone directory is you need one!

We always take time to go to the visitor's center when we travel to a new place. Here they had tons of information on the area, attractions, restaurants, hotels, vacation home info. Also a very friendly staff that knew the area well. They even had special information for a couples only vacation. Picked up maps, coupon books and a local paper full of entertainment info. All was very helpful.

Do not make the mistake like we did to stop here at the end of our stay in Orange Beach. We stopped here to get directions to the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail (a must stop). They have tons of info on restaurants and attractions. They also gave us lots of coupons so save money at restaurants. Pam was very helpful and fun to chat with.

This building is beautiful. Not only is it beautiful but the staff there are very helpful and friendly. They really make you feel welcome to Alabama.

We had a very good experience at the welcome center. We stopped in on our first day of vacation. The woman who assisted us was very nice and answered all of our questions. They are even giving out welcome bags with Orange Beach face masks!

During our second vacation to the area, we followed TA reviewers advise to stop in for info. We did and were greeted by a very nice friendly lady. However, the info gained was not special IOO. It was basically a lot of brochures that were well organized. Thanks.

1st time visit to Orange Beach & stopped at the WC. November is slow season here so we got the royal treatment and left with a ton of info & coupons. Very friendly staff.

This visiting center had a plethora of pamphlets about the area. The customer service rep said she would be available to answer any questions, yet when I had questions about beach weddings, she redirected me to a website. I had already checked the website before I came to visit, so I didn't want to go to the website, I wanted her opinions on places in the area, photographers, other people who have been married, pamphlets I had picked up. I tried more than once, and the answer was, "the website has everything you need."

My wife and I stopped by for some advice on indoor activities after all day rain set in. The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. They asked things we would be interested in and then made recommendations based off that. Worth a quick stop by for some really good advice on the local area.

We absolutely love this place. The person we rent our condo from said this should be our first stop ever year. The ladies that are there are very nice and very helpful. There are lots of brochures to look through...coupon books...maps of the area..etc.. This place gives me new ideas of things to see and do in Orange Beach and surrounding areas every year!

As first time visitors from Wisconsin, we stopped at the Welcome Center to get info on the sights, restaurants and attractions in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The two nice ladies at the Center really made us feel welcome and asked where we were from and offered lots of suggestions for restaurants and the local attractions. There were lots of brochures and coupons to chose from, and when they found out we were interested in becoming "future snowbirds" to their area, they even provided us with brochures and info on rental units available in the area. Such friendly ladies and so much good information. We are so glad we stopped!

People who work there try to help your needs. They are very friendly and will work to fill your needs.

Wanted to see an NCAA men's basketball game, the staff were very helpful in making this possible. A lot of interesting brochures and maps which were helpful. A must stop if visiting this area.

If you are a new visitor to the area, this stop is an absolute must. From tips on getting free bikes (to use) to the best places to eat, the friendly hosts at this welcome center were unbeatable. The reviews that called this place "awesome," "great," and "terrific" were spot on.

We stopped in to ask for a recommendation on a good seafood place. We like local non tourist, however, it was like the lady there wasn't aloud to say where she liked to eat. It was very unhelpful. Really we just looked at brochures since no one at the center wanted to make a suggestion.

Another beautiful white sand beach! Free parking also. Get there early to get a good spot. Bring your own chair, drinks and food as there is nothing but a snow cone stand. There are no big tourist activities just the big beautiful Ocean and beach.

This is a really nice welcome center! The attendants were eager to help, yet gave me time to browse by myself, too. There are numerous sections of brochures: garden tours, beach entertainment such as parasailing, fishing trips, dolphin tours, RV parks, and dining options.

What a GREAT place to get information for Orange Beach. The lady that was there was extremely helpful. Had beautiful decorations for Christmas too! Not only did she give us pamphlets and coupon books; but, we got a nice cloth bag and a shell bag. They had free postcards too! Highly recommend this center to get information for enjoying your stay in Orange Beach and seeing everything it has to offer.

I stopped in here as I was looking for some suggestions of where to access the beach without having to pay. They were awesome, gave me the "Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Official Map" and circled several free access points to the beach. They also have tons of information on activities on land and water as well as places to eat and must do attractions in the area. Very friendly staff and I appreciated the water bottle filler they had inside.

So glad we stopped by here for a map and coupons. We ended up taking a suggestion from them to ride the Mobile ferry over to Dauphin Island for the day and biking and seeing their Mardi Gras parade!

Great stop at the redneck Riviera This is an amazing place. We have been coming here for years. Off-season is absolutely my favorite is you don’t have a lot of screaming teenagers and college students. The food is more plentiful and the price is better and the happy hours longer. What’s not to like

The ladies that were on duty when we went in were very kind and tried to be helpful, but they had not experienced any of the activities we were interested in. They did not know anything about geocaching or metal detecting or the various fishing adventures of the area. They knew there is a public pier but did not know hours of operation or costs or tides or anything like that.

The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. There are many magazines, brochures, maps, etc. for new (and not so new) visitors.

Very nice building, easy access, good parking, all the normal tourist brochures. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived mid afternoon and were looking for a happy hour for drinks and snacks. They recommended Cobalt, it was just what we wanted.

We stopped on a Sunday morning to get a Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Travel Guide that we received in the mail and forgot to bring with us. The two ladies that were manning the place that day were so friendly and so helpful! They gave us coupon books and when we asked about different things, they would go get different brochures to give us. They were both very knowledgable on just about anything you needed to know and you could tell they were very proud of the area and wanted to help you have an enjoyable time. Really worth the stop!

A quick walk into and through the Orange Beach Welcome Center is all that is required. There are outstanding resources that cover the entire Alabama coast area and you can also score a bunch of coupons to local attractions. The folks working there are always very nice and helpful. If you are new to the area, you will certainly want to head to the OBWC, but even if you've been around before it's worth a few minutes of your time to collect news, coupons, ideas, etc.

We hit town at the right time as the Gumbo Festival was being held at the Wharf. After downing a couple of bowlfuls of gumbo washed down by ice-cold Alabama beer, we headed out to sing some karaoke at Mudbug's nightclub near the beach. With the fantastic coastal breeze hitting you in the face, we were soon singing Margaritaville in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama !! Nibbling on sponge cake - Watching the sun bake - All of those tourists covered with oil - Strumming my six-string - On my front porch swing - Smell those shrimp they're beginning to boil

If you have never been to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama area, you are in for the biggest surprise of your life. As a painted advertisement on the side of a building says "the best kept secret in the U.S. !!" To my knowledge, no one I have ever met in America says you gotta go to Alabama for a vacation to enjoy the greatest beaches, food, music, boating, and people you will ever find congregated in one spot in your whole life, BUT they should be saying that ! As testimony to the area, Jimmy Buffet grew up near here and his sister, Lucy, has at least 2 bar/restaurants to enjoy - Lucy's on the waterway and next door at LuLu's. Lucy's had spectacular food, music, and scenic views next to the water. I thought Louisiana had lots of water. Aside from the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, there are bayous, lakes, intra-coastal, bays, and rivers all around the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. As a result, be prepared to enjoy some of the best seafood you will ever have - try Shipp's restaurant for upscale waterfront and Tacky Jack's for more casual waterfront. For breakfast, be sure and stop by Brick & Spoon for beignets and creative omelets. For nightlife, hit Mudbug's for karaoke, the classy Gulf outdoor beach bar right on the water, and Flora-bama (technically in Florida) for the area's unique, signature Bushwacker drink. These drinks are like Lay's potato chips, as you can't just drink one of them.

To enjoy the warm waters, we took jet-skis out for 2-3 hours in a very calm, smooth bay that had us racing these machines over 50 MPH. It was cool to stop on these white-sand small islands in the bay to jump into the water and swim. It was a blast to pull into and park our jet-skis on the white sands at another Flora-bama location, which served us lobster corn dogs (more like lobster tempura on a stick) and more of my favorite gumbo while listening to a musician sing Zach Brown on the guitar at the beach stage.

When you think of Caribbean beaches, New Orleans Cajun/creole food, and a combination of Jimmy Buffet and Kenny Chesney for entertainment, you are thinking of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama !! It's not a secret anymore.

Very nicely kept tourist center right on the beach highway. Very helpful staff that can put you on to "local favorites" which we prefer. Lots of literature about all types of activities.

We stopped here to get a layout of the land and found the staff to be extremely helpful. We asked all kinds of questions to be routes to take when driving and they spent as much time with us as needed. They were quick to give us a visitors kit including a coupon book.

These ladies get it right…from recommending the best ideas for things to do (we got a dolphin cruise card for the BEST and most affordable dolphin cruise in the area- Dolphin Tales) and several coupons for other things like Tanger outlet mall, and other local attractions. This place is truly a "welcome" center. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Swing in and say "hello". They will help you plan the best beach vacation ever…and they love locals too. We don't live too far away, but we are new to the area and we love all the recommendations we have received.

I visit this center each year when we spend a month or two at the beach. There is updated information, friendly staff, great restaurant choices/menus and activities brochures. The staff always gives good information on the new things that have come available since our last visit. A trip to Orange Beach needs to include this center. You won't be sorry, but will be informed..

Stopped in here while in OB and was given a wealth of info about area. Staff gave very helpful suggestions re: restaurants and were happy to map these places out for us. One of the best visitors centers we've encountered--where the people that work there REALLY know the area!!!!

I walked several miles to the OBWC. When I got there it was closed even though it was within the opening times. I called the number on a door sign and Kim explained they were closed for a retreat and I should drive down to the Gulf Shores location. When I said I was walking, she was so accommodating, sending someone to open just for me. Kim (Not the same Kim) was there in 10 minutes, answered all my questions and gave great advice. To top it off, Kim 2 ensured that I properly got to the bike rental place. Kudos to the OBWC and the Kim’s.

We had been coming to the area for a while, but never stopped in. So Glad we did!! Miriam was a huge help, she didn't just point us toward info, she come from around the counter, helped us try to find what we were looking for, made suggestions on eating and playing places and things in the area while we were there. The ladies working at the welcome center were full of information and helped us plan our week. They also gave us coupons for the attractions that we were planning to visit.

Being local we have passed this place tons of times. We were passing by one afternoon and happen to notice there was not many cars there so we stopped in just to look around. The folks working there were so friendly and helpful. They told us a lot we didn't know about the area and shared stories about what the best times are for different activities, and places to avoid at certain times. It ended up being such an informative experience. Plus we picked up some coupons and brochures. Wish we had of stopped by sooner!

I liked that when you walked into the center I felt welcome. I was given information I asked for and I liked that staff were friendly. The computer usage for tourists was great.

This is by far our best beach vacation, and we hope to make it a regular thing now. beaches were clean, streets were clean, and overall, where ever we went everything seemed well maintained. Orange beach is a hidden gem.

The welcome center is very nice. Easy to find information on activities in the area. The receptionist was friendly and handled our inquiries easily.

But, there was something odd about the docent needing to put her hands on my 4-year-old son's shoulders and say something to him so quietly that I could not hear it. He's working on his inside voice and I counseled him about that in front of her. That was not enough for her. It was just odd. She gave lots of useful information in the form of brochures that answered the interests I expressed. But oddly, she pivoted away from the subject of what I wanted to do and selected a bunch of dolphin boat excursion which were completely inappropriate for the weather ahead. I repeated we would only be staying a week and that the predicted weather (thunder storms) did not suggest boating of any sort, but she pressed on. That was odd.

It was beautiful. No snow, cold, accidents, heat bill increases, big coats,etc.

Make sure to stop here for all your questions. The group of people there are very helpful in knowing what to do and where to go in the local area.

The ladies we talked with really knew the area. We told them what we were interested in seeing and they gave all the information to find the best sites. They could tell you where the car wash was, the nearest liquor store, the closest grocery, how to get to a site you knew about but couldn't find. They were great. Every one who visits this area should stop in when they first get there. They can also tell you what special things are going on in nearby locations.

We worked with them when trying to plan a conference for Orange Beach. They were extremely friendly, and quickly helped us realize that Orange Beach would not suit our needs. Still, they did a great job and saved us much time!

We stopped in here hoping to score some zoo coupons. The people working were helpful and friendly. The center is well organized with their different sections of brochures and coupons based on interest. They appear to know the surrounding areas well and were willing to give out advice. There were several other families that had stopped in when we did but it didn't feel crowded. We will stop again next time we're looking for discounts and deals.

Great stop we made after arriving in Orange Beach. Great info and advice! They answered all our questions but weren't too pushy. Restrooms were very nice as well.

There were 2 sweet ladies to greet my family and I on August 25.We chatted a bit and laughed at how we both always started school after Labor Day because we were from up north. School had already started down here,so she gave us ideas to have a complete time while on vacation. They were also nice with my children which is always a bonus.Thanks we had a really nice time even though Hurricane Ida was looming.I wish more people from up north would know about this place, it’s a great family friendly beach vacation location.

Be sure to get the three local maps of Orange Beach/Gulf Shoes, Pensacola, and the Mobile area. They will help you find you way around if you are new to the area. This welcome center is bright, clean and inviting. Joy, one of the workers there, was delightful and provided great info and tips. Definitely stop here first when on a visit to Orange Beach.

We stopped in after breakfast our first morning in the Gulf Shores. The two women working were so nice and helpful! They told us about the Zydeco & Crawfish Festival going on that day and how to get there. (We went and had a fabulous time listening to the zydeco band and dancing plus eating crawfish.)

They also gave us several options for dining. We made it to three of their suggestions...Cobalt, Fisher’s Dockside, and Flippers. All three were wonderful and we would recommend them. One of the ladies mentioned she was having Easter dinner at Flippers and when we saw her there...we said hi and thanked her for all her help!

If you are new to the area or a returninh viditor a great place to stop for local information on places to go to play, tour, hike, beachtime golf, eat, shop, etc. staff are very helpful, Lot's of good take home brochures, etc,

Great coupons and knowledge! They can give you expert advise of the area, and the savings can not be beat! Menus for the area restaurants where nice, gave you idea of expense.

This was a last minute trip, could not have ask for a better time....from beginning to end...the ocean side condo was clean & well maintained. The beach of clean white sand with the emerald green waves was so relaxing...from our view from the spacious balcony we saw schools of dolphins as we sit with our morning cup of coffee... We all loved building and digging in the sand; jumping the wave and riding the waves with boogie-boards; we saw crabs, sand-dollars, fish jumping. As we parasailed we do believe we saw a shark down below :) what an adventure we had....there was also an evacuation of the building we were in from the report of a fire in one of the units...it was a false alarm...but it was comforting to know that if it had been a true emergency we were well informed and all was carried out in a very orderly manner. Would we go back in a heart beat...was it crowed? yes, but most were friendly and so respectful of others, their space and their things.

Not to be negative, but...guess this is true in all things....there were a few who were not respectful of others. They had to have the noise of a radio which was turned up to hear over the waves, then to hear one-an-other over the radio and waves, talking so loud that for those around them they became the main focus...(not by choice) drowning out the sound of the waves and taking away from the beauty and wonder of the beach. While throwing freebies can be a fun activity , not at the expense of hitting others in the head. Maybe we all could use lessons in beach manners :).

The perdido pass and many other passes is very beautful.You should in day time so that you can enjoy the view.

We stopped by the Welcome Center during our trip to Orange Beach. I am glad we did. We were welcomed by the staff. We were able to locate coupons. Many were used during our trip. They also furnished us with a local map that gave us more stops to add to our itinerary.

The staff is very helpful. They have their brochures very well organized and they try to keep up with the businesses, such as if they close or have different hours. I was very impressed.

We have been to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach many times, but one of the first places we stop is the Orange Beach Welcome Center. They have hundreds of informative pamphets, many with coupons for events, resturants, hotels, rv parks, and other activities. They even have the local telephone book and newspapers for you to take - all at no charge. The people that work there are knowledgeable and pleasant. Suggest stopping in - worth the 20 minutes of your time to get a better vacation.

The Orange Beach Welcome Center was by far the best one we've ever visited. It was spacious and modern with clean restrooms and lots of information. Also, it was easily accessible from the highway. Best of all, the staff was friendly and helpful and they really went out of their way to accommodate us. Not only did they hand out brochures and flyers, but they also took the time to describe a lot of local attractions. They suggested places to stay and local restaurants at which to dine and gave us booklets with valuable coupons for discounts at both. Because of them, we saved money at the Sleep Inn and several restaurants, where the food was delicious. We enjoyed staying at beautiful Orange Beach with its white sand and the glistening, blue Gulf of Mexico as a backdrop. The folks at the Welcome Center were so helpful that we returned the next day for more infomation about local attractions. Everything we've heard about Alabama is true. It's a beautiful state and the residents exemplify Southern hospitality at its best.

They had a wide variety of information. We stopped on our way out of town! We just wanted to use the restroom before the long drive but it was clean and the nice folks didn't mind.

Always a great place to stop to find about new attractions for anyone who frequents the area. Also great to obtain a variety of information to make choices with the family. I like to stop here on our first day in town for vacation. It is a great source for info on events for the week & the staff is very helpful in answering our questions. They also have a wide array of coupons and discounts for area attractions and restaurants.

This is one of the best welcome centers I have ever visited. Useful information, maps and brochures are everywhere and the staff is absolutely superb.

Many are prone to skip informational centers, but such should not be the case when visiting the Gulf coast. There is simply too much to do to try to figure it out on your own.

These LADIES truly know the area and will give you pertinent info about all things local. They have maps of the area and brochures about virtually all activities in the area. Our favorites involve fishing and restaurants. They know the "captains" of the fishing boats and all of the best restaurants. Convenient and plenty of parking.

We stopped by the visitors center a couple of weeks ago , looking for help with finding good resturants and a place to put in our kayaks. The lady there was very helpful with her suggestions . We followed her advice for launching our kayaks and had so much fun.Thanks

Orange Beach has a great shoreline. The sand is white sugar soft. The water was warm and clear. We normally vacation in the Outer Banks NC and it was a great change of pace to visit this gem of a place. Hardly any wave action which was great for our 3 year old and 5 month old. 'Share the Beach" a turtle rescue organization had a nest roped of with volunteers who answered all our questions. We got to see them excavate the nest after the initial hatching and they found 15 live turtles they helped down to the ocean, my 3 year year old was enthralled. Only two drawbacks to the beach, when there was no breeze it was miserably hot and if you don't bring beach equipment it costs $25 a day to rent two louvers with an umbrella. Otherwise I can't wait to visit this place again.

Women there was very helpful on a busy Sunday. Supplied coupons and various maps and booklets on area. Center was nicely decorated with large painted oyster shell as you enter.

It was easy to find and had plenty of information for us. They were quick to offer help and took the time to make sure we had all the information we needed. It is definitely a good stop, especially if you are new to the area.

The Orange Beach Welcome Center provided free literature, including a magazine with all the local tips on reservations from Dolphin watching to Fort Morgan Tourist info. Very impressed. Ultra Modern Facility. Two very friendly Southern Belles assisted us and made great recommendation for our rather short stay.

This location is convenient if you are staying in either Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. They also have a location in Gulf Shores, which we stopped at. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. They gave us a map and directions for our day trip to Pensacola. It is definitely worth stopping at to get information about the area and help plan your trip while you are there.

We always stop here first to get coupons and flyers for new places we have not visited yet. All the staff we have met have been extremely helpful without being overbearing, ready with recommendations and suggestions tailored to our visit.

This place was empty when we got there which is really a shame. The lady that was working was very helpful she told us all about the local attractions and helped us find lots of cost savings on the adventures we were up for.

The two lady's that worked there that morning we went in were so kind and helpful. The brochures and coupons were in generous supply and the one lady even ran us off a copy of the menu at a seafood place she was aquainted with. Nice atmosphere and the outside was picturing taking beauty.

This lady was impressive. She tipped us off to a demonstration by the US Navy blue angels flight squad. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The staff answers questions and printed information area attractions is readily available. We have stopped in to use the restrooms while walking on Beach Blvd. Occasionally they have special displays about events.

My wife likes to stop into the visitor/welcome centers when we travel. It can be hit or miss in some places. Well let me just say that this was a good idea. Pam was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She made some excellent dining recommendations. additionally she suggested some historic and entertainment sights to take in.

The visitor center is a new building with displays that are well laid out to easily find information being sought. Staff was helpful and suggested material that could further answer our questions. The map of Orange Beach was greatly appreciated. Also liked the information about events taking place for the month we are here.

I live in Orange Beach, and each time I have friends and/or family coming to town, I stop by the Welcome Center to pick up an "Official Vacation Guide" for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Has information on things to do, restaurants,golf courses, marinas, etc. You can also pick up coupons for dolphin cruises, parasailing, and restaurant menu's. A great place to help you get acquainted with the area. Any questions you have the local staff will be able to answer ! They are the best !!

The only place to get an idea of many things happening in Orange Beach. They have coupon books for savings on eating establishments as well as “The Mullet Wrapper”, a newspaper that list day Day happenings plus ads of different stores to shop. A super little paper to direct you to anything you way want or like!

This welcome center was one of the cleaner ones we stopped at. kids were able to get out and stretch without worry.

Orange Beach is always a great place to visit. The beach wasn't over crowed at the time we went and the weather at the time was amazing. The traffic on the main road is always crazy.

Very, very helpful. Followed the personal recommendations for restaurants and was not once disappointed. Every visitor to Orange Beach AL should stop here on their first, or at least the second day of their arrival. We were very pleased with what Orange Beach offered ... besides beach, water, and sparklingly white sand.

The Orange Beach Welcome Center is a nice welcome center. It is conveniently located off of the highway and is filled with a lot of useful information. I especially like the coupons to the Tanger outlet center and several other area attractions.

You definitely need to stop here upon arriving at Orange Beach to get the lowdown on what to do.

I stopped to ask about some theater offerings in the area. They checked dates for shows mentioned in the Visitors Publication which I received by mail two months earlier. Unfortunately there were no shows for the week we were there. They also advised us about 4th of July fireworks displays in the area, suggested family friendly things to do and see, and even gave me a keepsake gift for bringing in the envelope from the Visitors Publication. The two hostesses were very friendly, courteous, and informative. Being a former Travel Agent (39 years in the business), I have worked with many such offices. This is definitely among the best. Kudos!!

I know most people don't stop by welcome centers when traveling, but this is worth a 15 minute stop. As the weather was a little chilly and the beach time limited, we found lots of things to do with the family and picked up dozens of discount tickets. The staff there was great at answering questions and giving suggestions.

Our family stopped here to gather information on some must see must do events. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made a great recommendation on which public beaches to visit.

The two nice women working there referred us to a less-expensive taxi service to get us to our rental car pick-up spot, answered a lot of questions, handed us specific brochures about places we were discussing and provided personal service throughout our visit. Recommend stopping there.

Stopped by today to pick up information for a friend coming with children and the 2 ladies behind the desk were too busy visiting with each other to even say hello. When I asked a question they both looked like I was really bothering them and weren't very helpful at all. We come to Orange Beach very often and don't usually find folks acting like this!

If it weren’t for these folks, we wouldn’t have seen half of Orange Beach. They have brochures, some with coupons, for everyone to see. All folks and. Their interests are to be found at the Orange Beach Welcome Center. My wife has even corresponded by email with questions and inquiring what is going on each weekend to see the one that fits for our weekend. Go by and see them at the first of your visit.

We were in Orange Beach, AL. for the first time. Don't normally go to the beach, and knew nothing about the area. We stopped at the Visitor's Center and couldn't have received better help. The two ladies there, Lynda and Pam, were so nice and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and then some. What a great place and wonderful ladies!

This is the BEST place to stop when new to the area. They have all the brochures and booklets for you - food - lodging - fun - shopping - charters - amusement. Stop one place and get it ALL.

A stop here will allow one to get any and all money off coupons and advertising for all the area attractions. The staff is extremely friendly and can answer any questions you have. You can even pick up a Baldwin County phone book here..

The beach was absolutly beautiful. It was well maintained, visible security and lifeguards. Shops were nice decent prices. And there was anicecream shop close by that was fantastic.

The staff were all very informed and knowledgeable and gave us some great recommendations. Also, they provided us with a fast and easy alternate way to get us back to I-65 that totally bypassed Florida, which was the way that Google Maps had routed us into Orange Beach. Overall, my wife and I were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff.

We have visited OBA several times but this was our first visit to the OB Welcome Center. We were impressed with how friendly and helpful Michelle and Peggy were to us. The gave several suggestions that were very informative. The center itself is wonderful- clean and well organized with many brochures and handouts about the great places to eat and visit while in OBA!

They directed us to many events for families during the week. They had a number of fliers and items lsited for activities to do during our visit.

We stopped by just to ask about restaurants and fun things to do with the kids. The lady was very friendly and gave us useful information, not just a bag of brochures we couldn't use. If you have any questions about thinhs to do, I'd definitely stop by!

I've driven past many, many times and finally decided to stop in. The folks inside had a wealth of knowledge about the area, and also had many, many discount coupons.

We always visit the Orange Beach Welcome Center right when we hit town. It is always a very friendly and helpful place with LOTS of very valuable information and coupons for the immediate and surrounding area.

Very clean and spacious. Every map and shopping guide you could ask for. Road maps, bike maps, trail maps...

Helpful staff without being too intrusive. Gave you time to look around before they approached you. Offered suggestions during our winter stay. Also suggested areas to visit outside Orange Beach. Large parking area and easily accessible.

Great interior decorations. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very good explaining the area and gave good directions. Be sure to pick up a brochure on Joe Patti"s in Pensacola. If you wan to buy fresh seafood, this is the place.

Stopped in to get some info on dolphin tours. Was immediately greeted at the door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Was able to get info on tours and the reps gave good suggestions.

I received a visitor's packet and a warm greeting the minute I walked through the door of the O.B. Welcome Center. The packet contained several helpful documents such as a map, safety-on-the-beach pamphlet, and an official guide to Alabama's White Sand Beaches. There are hundreds of pamphlets throughout the building which are free for the taking. There were clean restrooms and two well-informed ladies available to answer any questions.

If you are vacationing in Orange Beach, AL you really should stop by the Welcone Center. They are very personable and well versed on the best places around and offer great coupons for discounts at various attractions! They also have maps and other pamphlets with infomation regarding everything in he area.

Always helpful, has multiple information with courteous staff. Nice restrooms. The information on gulf shores and orange beach is complete.
