We hadn't been there in 2 years and the expansion is done and the place looks fabulous to say the least. And the owners and staff just could not be nicer people!!
We like all the things they have to sell there as well as their booze and free samples. We actually went there twice on this trip...picked up some booze and hats the first time but went back a few days later to check things out again and pick up some T-shirts. I was disappointed that their restaurant wasn't opened back up yet (as I know they were also), due to the COVID-19 situation. I really look forward to being able to set down and eat there!! And sip some more!!
Anyhow...this is a 1st class place all the way around and ran by 1st class people!! We will be back!!

Stopped here after golfing to sample moonshine. Many interesting flavors to sample. Ended up buying several bottles, including a bourbon whiskey, probably mostly for the novelty of having moonshine. The lady providing us samples (co-owner of the establishment) was extremely nice and spent a considerable amount of time with us explaining the business and recommending mixes for the various flavors of moonshine. Worth a short visit as long as you drink alcoholic beverages.

Friendly owners and staff. We arrived early and chose to wait. The tour was informative. A lot of time and special care goes into their final product! The wine tasting, at the end, was worth waiting fo, enjoy!

Great visit to Ozark Distillery!
I highly recommend a Saturday tour and tasting. Good history lesson on spirits.

Great place awesome products staff was very pleasant definitely recommend stopping if you have not. Kind of a hidden location if your not paying attention

Let me tell you, Dave is just a pleasant and fun man all around! He is really in touch with his tour crowd and really appreciates it. This is a very small place with big flavors in it's moonshine(also carry vodka and bourbon whiskey). One thing I really loved is that if you buy the cinnamon moonshine, the proceeds go to the Magic Dragon Pipes and Drums. Thank you for the moonshine, but a bigger thanks for a good tour! Good luck on your new future facility, you deserve the best.

This is not a "tour", but it is a great, little excursion. The group starts in the selling room then moves to a building where the owner tells his story. He is obviously very knowledgeable about the process and also adds clever humor. While in this one-room building, we see equipment and products while learning about them. Then, the group returns to the selling room where we have free samples of the products. The whole experience is free; but the quality of the product is so good, you'll want to buy a bottle or two (we bought three) to take home. The whole process takes right around one hour; definitely a quick, tasty stop worth making.

Went to take the tour and check out their various flavors of moonshine. Really enjoyed. Learned about the process of making moonshine. Owners were all very friendly.

Just a nice place to have a good beer. And or cocktail. The whiskey is pretty darn good too. Wish they had more group seating.

The tour was very informational and fun. The samples afterwards were very good. Who would have thought cream soda would taste so good with moonshine!

We stopped today at the Ozark Distillery. We really enjoyed learning about distilling. The owner's passion shows. Enjoyed sampling too!

What a find!! Found this gem on Trip Advisor. Free tasting and they mix your tastings like a cocktail. Also, four free tastings of their spirits and two tastings of their beer. We would have loved to have taken the tour. The decor was rustic chic— very cool! We enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Pizza and a few cocktails on their patio. The whole staff were very accommodating and helpful.
A must visit!!

that is tucked away from it all, but well worth finding.
We developed a taste for moonshine after our last Bourbon Trail run in Kentucky and were anxious to try Ozark Distillery as that's one of their specialties. Free sample of four whiskeys and one beer.
I liked the apple as well as the butterscotch shine (don't knock it until you've tried it!) but found the plain moonshine lacking in any appeal for me.
Tours were not available when we stopped by so cannot add to that.

Had a great visit, went on the tour, Dave the owner is very informative with the info on distillery and very funny. Staff is very friendly, wanting to help you. Highly recommended for your next visit.

You have to go by here and take the tour. Dave is so much fun to listen to. It’s very informative! The tour is free and they offer free samples as well.

Entertaining to say the least. This was a great tour of a "room" and talk about the process for making bourbon (and vodka). Very friendly tour director. Funtimes.

Been to another distillery in St. Augustine, FL but learned so much more from this one. Definitely worth a visit.

Cute place that is still setting up. We were there during the week and they only do tours on Saturday, but loved the product, especially the BBQ Sauce.

My husband and I were spending the weekend at the lake and decided to stop here after a visit to HaHa Tonka state park. We did the sampling of 5 spirits and 2 beers. The ladies doing the tastings were extremely nice and helpful. My husband then got a glass of their beer and I had a Harry Potter beer, which was butterscotch moonshine with cream soda. Surprisingly delicious! They gave us a huge bowl of popcorn to enjoy with our drinks. We sat on their covered patio in back enjoying the beautiful day. Wonderful way to spend an hour. The restrooms were very clean too. All the help was extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Don’t miss this one!

We are in the area for a long weekend and decided to stop in and take a tour. The owners are great and tour was awesome. Stop in if you have the time.

We have taken the tour ourselves, and with friends several times. Great products! Can't go wrong because you can sample everything first! I recommend you visit, whether you can take the tour, or not. Have a great time!

Loved the building and the staff. My husband loved the whiskey. We did not take the tour but it would have been fun! Great place!

Very much worth the stop and visit! The distillery has a nice product and a fun tour. The tour is pretty short, the sampling room and the one room distillery, but everyone enjoyed theirselves.

This is a "Must Experience" when traveling to Osage Beach, MO. We took a tour which was so enjoyable. The owner and Head Distiller, Dave Huffman, is passionate about his distilling and it shows. His explanations were easy to understand and he is funny. We then got to partake in as many samples as we wanted. They have the most delicious Moonshine Flavors and Bourbon? Yum. It's not like any other moonshine I have tasted before. They give samples in a mixed drink style so you know when you take it home what it will taste like. We will be back again. Good Job Dave!!

My wife and I went here to enjoy their local moonshine. We sat out on the patio and had some of their wonderful drinks. If we lived here we would be regulars here. Bought 3 of their bottles to take home.

We just spent some time with Tiff at the Ozark Distillary. What a great time and best moonshine and Vodka. Take the time to visit - well worth it!!

This is a must!! A trip to Lake of the Ozarks will not be complete with stopping here. The people that work here are so friendly! Their drinks are amazing, a little pricey, but wonderful!
The blackberry moonshine is out of the world!!
We have not done the tour, we just ran out of time.
Put this place of your list to visit when your in town!

My husband and I did the tour given by Dave the brewmaster. He was full of interesting information. He must have be comedian in his prior life, I haven't laughed that that much in a long time. We had drinks prior to the tour and samples afterwards. We bought a bottle of the butterscotch moonshine, it's so good. The Pizza looked delicious but we had dinner plans after. We will be going back for the pizza.

Great tour and tasty moonshine!!! The place can fill up during tours, so get in early to get a table. The tour is informative and fun. The drinks are tasty and the pizza was a good snack.

I had in mind a big distillery like Jack Daniels...then we drove up in front of the business....I almost drove on. That would have been a big mistake. Inside the small distillery are some very friendly people. Then we went around behind the building to go in the back door to the distillery... Small but HUGH on information. The owner was very welcoming and has been distilling legally LOL for 37 years and is extremely knowledgeable. His equipment was very impressive.
I would go by and listen to his presentation and sample the product.
Nice short tour.

The tour was entertaining and informative. After the tour, You are allowed to try as many samples of the vodka, bourbon, moonshine, and beers, they make. We bought a few of the bottles. The lime in the coconut cocktail (made with the coconut cream pie moonshine) was fabulous! We did NOT like the Bloody Mary, nor did other customers around us. It is SWEET. Yuck. Make sure you sample it before ordering it (we didn’t). We did sample the vodka straight and it was good though.

Pleasant surroundings and staff. Product seemed a little high priced to us. Pretty drive to get there.

We had friends visiting at the lake so we booked one of the Saturday morning tours. Be sure to make reservations on-line. It's an informative, entertaining, and educational 45 minute experience. We learned a lot about the process and the guide (the owner) has the right mix of good information and easy going humor.
At the end of the tour you adjourn to the sales office to sample different flavors of moonshine and, of course, have the chance to purchase some of your favorites.
It's family friendly, and there were kids on the tour, but I'm not sure they would get much out of it. For adults though it's great. Easy to see why it's so highly rated on TA. Check it out on your next visit to the lake!

The Ozark Distillery offers several flavors of Moonshine, Premium Vodka, and Bourbon Whisky. The tasting are free. This is a great little distillery and well worth your time.

We weren't here on a day to do the tour, but the lady that was there who gave us samples was very nice! Tasting was great....many things to choose from that taste amazing!!! Definitely bringing others next time we are down!

We were looking for something to do with the kids, but still fun for the adults. We throughly enjoyed the "tour" and tasting. We even left with a few "souvenirs." The kids were not entertained but we're good for the trip. The owner/guide was knowledgeable and a fun sport. We were skeptical about what to expect but it was a win overall! Plus it's always fun to take a FREE tour, purchase some booze, and support a local business that is definitely passionate about their craft!

Took the tour and enjoyed it a lot. Also bought butterscotch moonshine and blackberry moonshine. Friendly staff.

My husband has been interested in making moonshine for several years, so I really wanted to take him on the distillery tour. Both sets of our parents also went with us on the tour and we all LOVED it. The gentleman who owns the place is very knowledgeable, but he also uses a little humor. He interacted with everyone on the tour as he walked us through the process of making moonshine and gave the history of how he got started. After the tour, they had a sampling where we could try anything they had. Also during this time, the owner was available for additional questions and my husband took full advantage of that! Our group varied on whether or not we liked their finished product at the tasting, but we all LOVED the experience.

Stellar establishment. Very nice owners. I am not even a big drinker, but their Cinnamon Moonshine is great! It's very much worth the trip to go on the tour and you will want to buy SOMETHING, because it's all so good. Coffee beans and BBQ Sauce are great, too! I'm a fan. :)

Always a great experience w great hard liquors, craft beers, and Bloody Mary mixes! Service with a smile! Great atmosphere

Try all the flavors, very unique adult beverages. And educational tour into the art of making alcohol

This is an absolute MUST stop. The moonshines and beer are outstanding. Free samples of both. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and the environment is great. You will not be disappointed! Definitely will be going back.

This has become our go-to place when entertaining out of town guests! Dave gives a great "tour" through his work place describing the science behind creating moonshine. It is full of information and small glimpses into his story of how he came to distilling spirits. Tiffany takes care of the upfront store including the "tastings" and answering questions. They are both very hospitable and fun to get to know. We believe they put out a quality product and we prefer to support locally owned businesses. They are helping to preserve some of the Ozark history at the same time as entertaining their guests. Can't wait to meet their new still, RayRay!

We stopped to see the distillery. It was the 4th of July. We were about 45 minutes eary for the next tour and didnt want to wait. We were talking to the owners wife. We asked some questions about how they got started and she shared some stories that were fun to hear and entertaining. We sampled everything and between the 4 of us left with 4 bottles of product. It was my birthday and they gave me a hat!!
Maybe when thy grow a little they can add a dedicated tasting space. It was like doing a tasting in a hotel lobby. :)
A very fun stop!!! Do go and visit them.

We were looking for something to do while here for a convention and found he perfect getaway. We have been to several of the distilleries on the Bourbon Trail but this was so different and so much fun. Just a one person operation but he is very knowledgeable about the process and passionate.. Amazing that he does so much by hand, that is what was so very inspring. We got a chance to taste all the flavors and that was also really fun. Of course we had to come home with some flavored moonshine. Well worth the time spent. Will certainly visit again. Great personalized tour!

My husband and I were on vacation at Lake of the Ozarks. We stopped here on afternoon. They give you 4 samples of Moonshine and 1 sample of beer. It was a very nice stop.

Pilsner was excellent - clean and crisp. The pizza was thin crust with quality toppings. We had pepperoni, sausage and onion - so good!!

Wonderfully surprised when I walked in.. Nice, clean, friendly place. The sampler was awesome and the cocktails made for their whiskeys was really good.. walked out was BBQ sauce, Whiskeys, and glassware..

We visited the Ozark Distillery and Brewery while vacationing at the Lake of the Ozark recently. What a fun time with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not being much of a hard liquor drinker we still thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary tasting. We ended up buying the vanilla bean and blackberry moonshines to mix with lemonade and margarita mix. Very excellent and professionally made product.

This place is kind of off the beaten path. Accidentally found it on TripAdvisor and went to check it out. Some nice bourbon and some tasting convinced me to buy a bottle. Well worth the trip off the highway. Will return now that I know it's there.

My wife, son, and his fiance visited the Ozark Distillery and took the tour. The tour is about one hour and the owner does a great job of keeping it very interesting. He explains his processes and provides a bit of history at the same time. We bought a couple of bottles from the distillery. My favorite is the Butterscotch Moonshine. It is great mixed with IBC Cream Soda.

Very informative. Dave (the owner) is hilarious and very genuine. We learned a lot about distilling and what good whickey and moonshine tastes like. He’s got a wonderful crew of folks ready to answer questions and serve people on the tour samples of the product. We were told that there’s a brewery in the works looking to open at the end of 2018...we can’t wait! Take this tour. You won’t regret it!!

I’m a big bourbon/whiskey drinker and I get amused touring places like this. The tour costs $5 a person and provides fantastic insight on the history and how they make their products. The owner is very down to earth and a really nice guy! Shares his life story and how he came about making alcohol. The product is some of the best I’ve ever had! Very smooth and tasteful. He also provided a lot of insight on what’s considered a “good” alcohol. I never knew when distilling, it produces 4 different alcohols. Really enjoyed the learning experience! After the tour, they let you sample all you want! They also make a really good BBQ sauce! That means something coming from an Okie! You will not be disappointed taking the tour, meeting the people, and sampling the product! Maybe the only disappointing thing is you walk out buying a handful of bottles to take home! I recommend the bourbon, butterscotch, and cinnamon!

This guy has all the knowledge and a great personality to boot. The tour is about an hour and the owner walks through the entire process from building the barrels to end production. The stories he tells about his journey bring out his passion and makes the tour entertaining as well as educational.
After the tour concludes, you can taste test all of the products and they even suggest and let you try them with various mixes like lemonade, creme soda or orange juice. My favorite was blackberry moonshine with lemonade. My husband's favorite was straight vanilla bean moonshine.

Totally awesome!
Integrity is the best word I can use to describe the product here. Passion is the foundation here, and everything is a labor of love.
Everything is affordable, yet very high quality. I'm talking about the booze, as well as the merch. And free tastings? Heck yeah!
Dave is a charismatic, intelligent, and passionate person. You gotta check this out.

Very pleasant and informative.
The straight corn liquor very smooth for 100 proof.
The cinnamon also very tasty with a heavy sweetness!
The drinks were very tasty and easily consumed!
I have distilling process knowledge, the information was factual and informative with humor!

We heard about this tour from the bed and breakfast we were staying at and they spoke so highly of it. We went on a Saturday which is the day they have their tours. It was so popular that it was a little cramped but Dave made it so much fun!!! We laughed a lot and learned so much about distilling and the different types of alcohol. When we were done, we got to sample everything! It was so delicious!! This was one of the best tours I've ever been to!

We really liked this stop. It was short and sweet. The couple running it was fun. It was great to get to see their new still. (Just showed up the day before). It was beautiful and impressive. Liked the laid back tour. The shine was GREAT!!!! Bought 2 bottles and was allowed to go back and take pictures of us with our bottles in front of the still.

Informative tour. The owner does the distilling and the tour. Don't expect a lot of walking. You go in his workshop and learn a lot about distilling moonshine and bourbon.

Wife and I went because we like to learn about liquor and taste them. We did the Firefly vodka distillery tour in South Carolina last year and were very interested after finding out there is this Ozark distillery right here just outside St. Louis. Overall outstanding! The facility, the tour, the owner and family staff all very good and would recommend. So cool and humorous tour on top of that! Bought one to take home.

Stopped in for a sampling and ended up staying and eating a late lunch. Have some very good spirits and equally good beers. Very impressed.

Opportunity to taste four varieties of moonshine, two local beers, and their signature barbecue sauce. Everything was quite excellent! We did not try any of the food, but everything on the menu was highly recommended. Well worth the stop. Only bummer was that tours are only offered on Saturdays.

We had a fun time at Ozark Distillery, The tour guide/owner was very entertaining and had a great way of explaining the process. There are lots of touristy things to do at the lake and this isn't one of them. I think this qualifies as a local attraction that tourists happen to find. Very down home and what Missouri is all about. Pick up a bottle or two while your there.

We're at the lake several times a year and finally made the short trip to the distillery. We did the tour which was informative, funny and only takes about 40 minutes. Long enough to be interesting and not too long that you start getting bored. Dave was great!! Then you move on to the tasting...wow!! The flavors are amazing! I think my personal favorite was the blackberry moonshine! Sweet tea, apple pie and vanilla bean were all very good too. So smooth and the staff can give you some great mixing combinations. So happy we made the trip this time...highly recommend it!! Oh and the best part...it's FREE!! The tour and tasting. But of course, plan on buying some to take home!!

We visited early during the week and were pleasantly surprised how knowledgeable the host was about all the products. I am sorry we couldn’t have a tour, as they are only on Saturdays. My one recommendation would be to have yours twice a week! Moonshine is a different experience, and the many types available were surprising. Don’t forget to try the BBQ sauce or the margarita mix!

Dave is a very homebody entrepreneur. He makes the distilling seem easy. He took a hoppy and turn it into a real business with real information. Samples are great apple pies very good butterscotch and orange interesting. Would strongly recommend adults to take the tour. Probably not designed for kids.

My brother and his family found this place this winter. We checked it out Memorial Day weekend and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend it!!! The owners are super nice and there is nothing commercial about it. Just a great story and a very successful business. I hope he doesn't get to commercialized.

During our visit to Osage Beach, we were treated to an amazing tour of the Ozark Distillery. Dave is incredibly knowledgable and welcoming. It is a higlight of the area and well worth the time. We purchased a number of bottles to share with friends and family. Hospitality at it's best!

Didn't do the tour, just the tasting but absolutely LOVE that they will mix the tastings up like a drink so you can actually taste what something would be like. Example I loved the blackberry moonshine and they turned it into a blackberry margarita and the butterscotch in with cream soda.
Prices were reasonable on the drinks and the bottles. will definitely be back!

Good tasting moonshine and nice place to hangout. They also have beer which we didn’t try. Free samples; up to a limit. Highly recommend

During a week long fall foliage trip to the lake, we discovered the Ozark Distillery on a cool, rainy day. The setting was a cabin-like structure made to look like an 1800 era saloon. We sampled several types of moonshine and after a couple hours of sampling, visiting with the owners, and enjoying select cocktails, we left with a number of bottles of our favorites. This is a “must see” venue while visiting the lake.

First time having a pizza at Ozark Distillery. Pizza was a nice thin crust; not too much sauce. We did a 3 topping pizza; Canadian Bacon, Mushrooms and Onions. $14. It was an average pizza. The beers we had were a Gateway Porter, great flavors (you really need to like a dark beer) of chocolate and coffee. And a Dave Dunkel Lager. It was good, but in my opinion, it can’t top the porter. Pizza came quickly.
There were two people working. Neither asked how the pizza tasted. We had to get our own plates, silverware, napkins, etc.

The store itself very simple but rustic and friendly.
The ability to sample products before purchase is very helpful.
Drink recipe cards available.
The straight corn whiskey and blackberry very smooth!
The owners wife was very helpful and open for questions.
Although we didn’t tour, that would be very interesting to see the process.
The prices are fair.

The distillery is owned and operated by an awesome, down-to-earth couple who greet guests, provide the tour and offer samples of the finished product. We had a group of 5 adults ranging from age 21 to 60, a 12 year old boy, a 2 year old as well as a new infant and were all surprised at how much we enjoyed our experience at the distillery. Even the 12 year old loved the stories and hearing how the products are made. The couple's sweet daughter played with our 2 year old and we all felt like we were being welcomed into their home. And the products are really, really good :) Highly recommend stopping by!

The offer tours and also tasting of the items the make there. The tasting are a real great experience and the staff is so knowledgeable that you want to purchase the items. Awesome tasting items.

Ozark Distillery is a true local distillery. They have several flavors to sample, as well as a gift items from the local area. If possible try to stop in on Saturday for the tour, it is worth it. And on top of all Tiffhany and Dave are very nice people!

While this is a very small distillery and not much to see on the tour, the tour is a lot of fun and interesting. The owner and distillery operator gives the tour, he is very knowledgeable and informative. His down home style makes it a great time.

a great place to not only but to purchase product. people are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. plus they offer a tour on Saturday. prices are very comparative would highly recommend a visit

Good luck trying to bring your littles with you. They don't have high chairs and the staff are rude about being "accommodating"

What a great afternoon, a lot of fun listening and learning about a distillery from people who really enjoyed their jobs. We will be back again when they add on

tours are only on Saturday but really worth your time. Owner and distiller is very knowledgeable and passionate about his products

The folks are all friendly and helpful. Dave, the owner, gives a very interesting and entertaining "tour," which is really an overview of the distilling process. The entire production is in one room, so it is an intimate setting. The tour lasts for ~40 min. I recommend signing up online ahead of time. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The bourbon is excellent, also.

This is a local distillery that has a free tour. The owner was very friendly and educated me in mashing, fermenting, to bottling moonshine and whiskey. Great place and experience!

We were thrilled to see that they were open! Fun staff and delicious drinks! Nice covered patio to relax with a drink. Check this place out!

This was an interesting and educational event for our trip to the Ozarks. Very knowledgeable in the distillery business. The tasting in was great. Was disappointed- I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary. No warning from staff - this is a really hot and spicy drink. I typically can do spice but this was horribly spicy. After three sips I took tot back and asked for something else. I ordered the cranberry spritzer and they charged me for it. Now do not get me wrong, it was by far more tasty and enjoyable but the customer service there is lacking.

Great tour very informational and fun! Wonderful owners and excellent moonshine! I would recommend anyone to stop by, visit and sample...if you don't your missing out!

We enjoyed our tasting. The young man did a great job with various whiskey and beer samples. Nice, beautiful building. Free popcorn too! We'll be back.

The tour was very informational and interesting. Dave was a great guy and really seemed to cater the tour to what we were interested in. And the finished product was smooth and delicious. We will definitely be looking for Ozark Distillery products - hope to see it carried in North central Kansas soon!

Love the free tasting: you get to sample 4 types of moonshine and 2 types of beer on tap. They even have a recipe card of drinks to take home with you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit with the tour and the samples. Great husband and wife team that are so knowledgeable about their shine! If you are in the area, you need to visit--you won't be disappointed!

We found this attraction on the recommendation of Trip Advisor. We were the first tour at 10 am on Saturday and we had Distiller Dan all to ourselves! He took us back to his small, one room distillery and we learned more about the process of making moonshine and bourbon that we ever imagined! Who knew there was such a science and a perfection to making a smooth alcoholic beverage? Dan was so kind, answered all our questions, let us pose for pictures in front of "The Professor", his new distillery, and then took us back up front for some time of tasting. We sampled all of the wonderful flavors of bourbon and his moonshine! After purchasing several bottles, visiting with him and his wife a bit more, we were on our way! We are so glad we stopped at this off-the-beaten path attraction. You will not be disappointed if you go! We will definitely be back to purchase more of Distiller Dan's wonderful bourbon, vodka and moonshine!

We went here for a tour and we were very impressed with it. The gentleman giving the tour was very knowledgeable about distilling and was very proud of his product. He should be proud since he has some very tasty products. He distills his own vodka and I would drink it over any Grey Goose or similarly expensive vodkas. They also have whiskey and moonshine which all are very good. Stop in for a quick tour and sample.

Ever wonder how booze was made. They have a great tour with free samples at the end. Well spent time at the lake.

I love their vanilla moonshine and the owner is quite the entertainer. Make sure you do their tour it is well worth the time .

Great place. Very friendly and the samples were great. Highly recommended try thr butterscotch moonshine yummy.

Totally exceeded our expectations - friendly staff, ample selection of nine products, very good quality libations, with free sampling. Wife and I got there on a Saturday a little early for the distillery tour, which happens on the hour with the last one at 4pm. That gave us time to sample most of the products, and zero in on a few we really liked.
Dave, the master distiller and owner, has a great sense of humor and made the tour lots of fun as well as informational. Passionate about distilling, with almost 40 years of experience, he brings personal experiences into explaining how the process is done, from selecting ingredients to mashing, distilling, sorting out the outfall products, flavoring, bottling and so on. Totally had the crowd of about twenty hanging on every word.
Came away with four bottles of goodness, cant wait to get into them.

We visited the distillery as a group (3 couples). None of us had visited before. The building is adorable, decorated very coolly and the staff was very helpful and excited to show their products! They have some merch for sale as well. Among the items I sampled were vanilla bean moonshine, apple pie moonshine and I ended up buying the butterscotch moonshine! It was absolutely delicious mixed with root beer!! Others in our group bought the blackberry moonshine, vodka and Bloody Mary mix, as well as a couple of T-shirts. We skipped the tour.

I have been on a number of distillery tours and this one is by far and away the best one I have been on. Everyone in my group thought the same. Dave, the person giving the tour is great. He is informative and funny. Our tour went an hour and 12 minutes and he was never in a rush to get us out.

I would highly recommend coming to Ozark Distillery while visiting the lake. The owners are super! We really enjoyed visiting with them and learning all about their business and how moonshine is made. The taste of the moonshine and the vodka is top-notch! We loved it and had such a wonderful time! My relatives from Belgium said it was one of their favorite spots they visited in the US. Great tour, great people and great moonshine!!

My husband & I took a mini vacation to Missouri to visit a part of the state we had not visited before. I used Trip Advisor for suggestions & we found this cool place! Super nice people! Totally free, but of course, we had to buy something we sampled!! 😊 If you're in the area, please go by...

We were not able to get a tour since they only run on Saturdays, but it is still worth the stop! Tiffany is fantastic and mixed us all kinds of delicious samples! She was so nice and genuinley willing to cater to a bunch of girls on a girls week.
Make sure to try the butterscotch moonshine with OJ!

My mom and I visited about 5 years ago and so much has changed! I haven't done a distillery tour before and it wasn't too long or too short. Informative and funny. The gals up front were a well oiled machine qhen it came to samples after the tour. Well qorth the $5. I'd recommend booking your tour in advance for sure! I was able to have the porter beer before it ran out but the stout and ipa were already out. They also had a wheat and kolsch.

My wife and I found Ozark distillery and had a blast! He loves what he does and knows what he is doing. Well worth the time!
Free samples and easy to find on highway KK!

Had a great time visiting with the owners and learning about bourbon! Even got to taste a really small batch that I hope Dan experiments with again! Since he doesn't distribute to Wisconsin, I'll just have to head back down there when I run out Bourbon and Butterscotch Moonshine!

I love all the free samples and free popcorn! I ended up buying a bottle of the butterscotch moonshine because the Harry Potter Butterbeer was so good! We got some pizza also that was pretty good. Definitely worth the stop! Wish we could have tried the beer.

My family stop here to taste the moonshine it was very good it was so go we brought the Apple Pie, Butterscotch and SweetTea Moonshine also the Premium Vodka everyone fo these was great. The Young man that service us was very nice we walk out of here with six bottles just try it you will love it

Got lucky enough to stumble on this gem, while staying nearby for the weekend. Also got lucky enough to catch a tour time. Was a great little tour, super friendly, super fun, very informative! Everything there tasted great to boot! Worth the time and money (you wont want to leave empty handed).

It's wonderful to watch someone follow their passion and Dave is in his element. Experimenting, trying, testing, readjusting, to come up with smooth tasting concoctions that satisfy the pallet.
He conducts a very informative and educational and fun tour of his operation. And has a great product to sell.
If you want a nice stop while in this area, this is the place.
Thanks Dave, we will be back!

We showed up and were taken into his “work shop” . Where he came out and started joking with the crowd of 20 + people. He told us how he got started which was when he was 16 making beer for friend’s. Then he walked us into his life one story at a time this was very interesting. He also had a batch of something I can not remember what it was called but we could look into it and smell it then he told us what it was and what he did with it . He also showed us how he makes Apple Spice Moon Shine. After wards we got to buy product and he has a sheet of paper so that you know what to mix with what. This is a 5 star attraction for sure.

Dave was excellent and gave a great little tour of his distillery and how he got started in this business. Asked a lot of questions and learned a lot. The samples were excellent! Honest people making a great product! Cant wait to go back and try and tea moonshine that he is starting to make!

My buddy and I went for the tour and sampling. The tour was very good the owner was very personable and related the business to his experiences growing up. The process in which he goes through to make his product is rich in wisdom and effort.
We were sold from the minute we walked in the front door then back to the small workshop in which he used.
However, after the tour was over we went back to the front and were ready to make purchases, but that's when the samples came. I had seen the product in some local stores and were enticed, but after sampling we both agreed the tour was better than the product.
Good luck to them on their new building and maybe the product will get better with the increased production.

Very informative distillery tasting! Will return someday on a Saturday 4 the tour!!! Husband lined tge Vanilla Bean Moonshine and the Bourbon!

We saw the place driving by and while we don't drink a lot of liquor, figured we would take the tour. Highlight of our weekend so I strongly advise doing it.

What an enjoyable 1 hour tour. I learned more about distilling spirits than I thought possible all the while laughing and having a fantastic time. Dave, the owner and his family are wonderful people--and the moonshine is great too.
Bring a group of friends on a Saturday and enjoy yourselves and make sure you have some samples as well.

We come to Osage Beach every fall and we were looking for something new to do. This was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Make sure you take time to sample afterwords.

We were exited to get to stop on as we had been gifted some of the blackberry moonshine before.
They allow for a very generous and knowledgeable tasting before you make a selection.
The brewer/ distiller is a one man show and is frequently on site. He does the tours on Saturday himself.
The staff was incredibly friendly and made out experience much more fun.
I can’t say I was disappointed by anything we tried.
We tried all 7 beers on tap and several of the moonshine flavors.
I settled on the adult butter beer, so tasty.
We bought several bottles to gift our family.
Definitely worth stopping.

Adorable bar tasting area! Fabulous drinks! Highly recommend the apple pie moonshine a la mode. Their brewery portion just opened and the IPA & wheat were delicious.
We also went on the tour with our little kids. They were even entertained and didn't make a peep! The owner is a great story teller and was very interesting/educational.
We were very impressed and will be back without the kids 😉

stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon-not real busy-the samples are super-not overpowering and very smooth-Debbie was a super help and very friendly and knowledgeable-purchased the sweet tea and the blackberry and the barbeque sauce- they also have adult drinks to buy which are very good!!!!

We had a great visit to Ozark Distillery and Brewery at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The tour, led by Dave, the owner, was really informative. He walked us through the process of making whiskey, bourbon, vodka, and moonshine, giving us a good understanding of how things are done.
After the tour, we enjoyed some pizza and beer. The food and drinks were very tasty, and we appreciated the quality of everything we tried.
The staff, being part of this family-owned business, was friendly and made us feel comfortable. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by for a tour and a meal.

Our kids range in age from 10 to 25 so finding things everyone wants to do is pretty tough. I found this tour and knew it would interest one of the older boys. I went along to keep him company. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it myself! I'm not a big drinker and most of the samples were too strong for my taste but the tour was very interesting and the owner is a very engaging speaker. They were very friendly and welcoming, no big pressure to buy anything. Highly recommend and a fun way to support a small, local business!

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Free tasting, lovely outdoor patio. The cocktails were inexpensive and they would even make a “tasting” cocktail if you were undecided on what to purchase. Had 4 types of beer, none that I cared for, but just not my type but the flavored moonshine was so fun to experience. Free popcorn and root beer and lemonade for non-drinkers. We enjoyed the patio and bought moonshine to take home.

Good tasting moonshine with the flavors. No tours during the week
Got to try as many flavors as we wanted

Enjoyed the visit and purchased various bottles of spirits. Also, purchased BBQ sauce, but haven't grilled with it to date.

Got to meet Dave and Tiffany the owners and primary staff. They walked me through the distilling process and how they make their products. I had a great time. Best of all it was Free! I did go ahead and buy a bottle of their bourbon. It is 92 proof goodness! If you aren't a bourbon drinker they have about 10 other flavors. It is a must see if you like whiskey.

Dave is distillery master of the Ozarks. His hour long tour did not disappoint. His passion for distilling shines through his humorous tales of trials and triumphs in the trade over the past 40 years. We were awarded with unlimited samples at the end including butterscotch and blackberry moonshine as well as his trademark bourbon. Thanks for an enjoyable and entertaining time. We will be back.

We had a GREAT time here! The distillery tour by Dave was so much fun & we were able to sample SO many different flavors of moonshine, whiskey, etc. We learned a lot too! Their bourbon BBQ sauce was also available to taste and we quickly bought a bottle. SO many great drink combinations we got to try - my personal fave was the root beer float. Fantastic service, great price ($10/person for an hour tour & unlimited tastings), and delicious drinks! I would happily come back next time I’m in the Ozarks! Would recommend to anyone & everyone!

Super friendly! The distillery is not big, but they made the tour fun and entertaining even for our 12 year old who was fascinated by the science of everything. They offered tastings for everything with and without mixers. The bourbon was smooth and all of the moonshines were great! We had a hard time deciding what to take home to Wisconsin with us. Between the 7 of us (of drinking age) that toured I think we bought at least one of everything! The butterscotch moonshine tastes fantastic with hot chocolate. Definitely worth the stop!

We came to the Lake of the Ozarks on what seemed to be endless rainy days so we ran out of things to do that were friendly to our weather conditions. I had read here that this was a lot of fun, so we stopped by for a visit. The tours are not available in October except on Saturday, so we were disappointed that we couldn't do that. The bartender was nice and told us the samples were free and if we shared, my husband and I could try all of them. We've been to the Ole Smoky Distillery in TN, so this place is kind of a let down from that experience. The moonshine was just ok. I didn't really like any of them all that well. If I had to choose, I would say the butterscotch was my favorite or the sweet tea which did taste just like sweet tea. My husband is a whisky guy and this one is decent so we went ahead and bought one bottle of that even though it isn't our favorite. Overall, I guess it's good for a few minutes of entertainment if you aren't able to do the tour, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here.

We enjoyed the tour of distillery. Excellent price for the one hour tour. The owner and operator of the distillery provided a lot of colorful background to his venture in making moonshine. He also pulled back the shades on alcohol purity and industry practices. He was very knowledgeable on the distilling processes and the several other alcohols that are distilled in the process. He fielded questions well and gave great honest answers. It was a pleasure see one present who has a passion for his work and understands how the distilling process works. Good sampling afterwards.

This tour is genuine. Dave turned his hobby into a great business. The tour is very informative, with life stories intertwined. The samples afterwards are a great bonus. Stop, it's worth your time.

Tiffany was amazing! We came back the next day for more! Thanks for the cheese recommendation as well!

My husband and I were vacationing with another couple. I found this place online and suggested we go. The drinks were delicious, but the pizza was amazing!! I highly recommend the pizza with its crispy thin crust. It went really well with the beer my husband had and the drink I had, Sweet Tea Moonshine with Lemonade! Highly recommend visiting. Next time, I plan to take the tour, too.

We had a great time. The owner/distiller was friendly, knowledgable and fun. We can't wait for the expansion to be completed and will go back again. The tour is informative to learn about the process. Tastings are free. Can taste as many as you want. Is sold in many locations in the St. Louis area. You can book your tour online. Owner does all of the tours. That is why they are scheduled and not every day. They sell BBQ sauce and coffee as well. The staff could not have been nicer.

The employee who helped explain the products was very upbeat and informative. Their products are very flavorful especially the flavored moonshine. BBQ sauce is tasty, too. The facility is inviting with products nicely displayed. We were able to enjoy our choices for the evening outside, also. I highly recommend visiting Ozark Distillery and Brewery. (During this time of Covid, we wished that employee had been masked.)

We stopped on a Saturday afternoon for some flavored moonshine. We enjoyed the free samples and the engaging staff. We walked out with more than we expected. The BBQ sauce was amazing.

We didnt get to take tour (only offered on Saturdays), but did get to taste different flavors of moonshine, we liked the vanilla bean the best. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable

We took a tour of the distillery. Dave is a great speaker and you can tell he is passionate about his knowledge and work to perfect his moonshine. I learned so much about the history, the process of making moonshine, and the other products that are made during the moonshine process. Free tastings with the tour as well! We also stayed for supper and had wood fired pizza and a drink. Both were great!

Great selection of moonshine, bourbon whiskey, including various flavors. Sweet tea, butterscotch, cinnamon were wonderful. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. She allowed us to try all we wished to taste and also mixed some with cream soda or lemonade. Tastings are free.

Very friendly people make you feel welcome and pour all the tasting you would want. Pricing for bottles is equal to a purchase in a retail store. They have a BBQ sauce too. Not for kids, suggest adults only.

We were staying at a resort down the street and drove by the place many times - finally made the stop in on the last day there.
Though there were no tours that day, there were ample samples. The lady behind the counter (I didnt catch her name) was informative, personable, and very sweet.
I took the opportunity to sample pretty much everything.
Went in expecting to buy nothing - and walked out with two bottles!
Great stop. When their new space opens up with pizza and beer attached I'm sure it will be even better

This is a great way to kill an hour. Dave the owner is a lot of fun to talk and listen to. Very knowledgeable about his craft. They offer samples of their bourbon and whiskey whether you take the tour or not. Very enjoyable.

Although they weren't having tours on the day we visited, we thoroughly enjoyed our stop here. The woman working at the counter couldn't have been more hospitable. She offered all of the various products for tasting and also offered mixers for them. We talked a long time and lingered with the family as our younger kids were playing checkers. We would love to stop by again. The moonshine is amazing. We truly loved everything we tried and will probably become regular customers.

Dave did an excellent job explaining the process of making their products. Worth the time to do the tour and enjoy tastings too.

We loved the tour and tasting! The owner was very informative and entertaining on the tour. The tasting was fun too. We had a hard time choosing what type of moonshine to buy because everything we tried was good!

Great place to visit and learn about distilling...wonderful family ran small business!
Tours are Saturday's 10 - 4 and takes about 50 minutes and then you can taste their products.
Dave does an excellent job of explaining the distilling process with lots of humor included. Very interesting and informative!
You can taste the quality and care in their products...I refuse to mix anything with Dave's bourbon it's too good!!!

We stopped in to try out the new peach moonshine - yum! The staff was so friendly and even warned us that a part of 65+ was coming off of a tour very soon, so that we could order our samples and get a spot at a table before the tour ended. The cocktails are great, so was all of staff that we encountered. We'll be back!

We had the BEST time! We would definitely do again. I'm not a hard liquor girl but the blackberry with lemonade was amazing!

My friends and I visited yesterday and took the five dollar tour, which included a free tasting. The owner led the tour and he was simply amazing! He gave us so much history/information and imparted so much knowledge about the distillery process and was entertaining all at the same time! I’ve been to quite a few distillery tours all over the world and this one was one of the best. The tasting was fun and they were gracious and allowed us to taste anything we wanted to. I ended up buying a bottle of the blackberry moonshine which was our groups favorite. Definitely two thumbs up and I recommend this tour if you are in the area!

GREAT Owners with an awsome business. DEFINITELY go on the tour. It is by far the most interesting and informative alcohol making tour I have ever taken. The flavor infused shine is awesome. The bourbon whiskey and vodka is also very good. THANKS FOR A GREAT TIME.

Just for fun, thought the three of us girls would check this place out. We like good bourbons, but what a joy to find such great flavors too. Tasted them all. $25 a pop for a bottle.Bought one of each. Well, a whole case. The owner gave us a deal. Will have a long time sipping on a case of the best I've gotten my hands on. I liked the butterscotch the best. No, maybe the pomegranate. Cinnamon was pretty great too! See what I mean.Oh, and the BBQ sauce is worth buying. Got 2 of those.

My wife and I saw many advertisements for the Ozark distillery so we finally decided to visit. We got there in the middle of the afternoon and there were very few cars in the parking lot. When we walked in there were two people in one side of the building talking to what appeared to be an older employee. A single older women was sitting by herself in a bench in the middle of the store. Another single person was in the other side of the building writing in a log or register. There was also another women who also appeared to be an employee listening too the other employee talking to the couple. One of the employees said something to us as we walked but neither of us understood what was said. We wandered into the shop part of the store waiting patiently while browsing around. After about five or so minutes we both started to talk amongst yourselves and tried to appear restless. It didn't work! These two women apparently weren't interested in helping us. After about five minutes more we finally left without any help at all. What a waste of our time!

The owner is a character and makes good booze - his tour is very informative and he is really funny so it makes for a well worthwhile hour some Sat morning - go online and sign up at their web site

Stopped by in. Friday for a tasting. Enjoyed the different moonshines and especially the bourbon. I'm glad we were fortunate to buy the first bag of coffee for sale. Left having made a couple of new friends!

Excellent service, very friendly, great pizza and wonderful distilled spirits and brew! Upon entry they had tasting and many spirits. When ordered pizza and drinks. Simple but nice outside seating.

We stopped here for a quick tasting on a Saturday afternoon. We stayed for drinks and lunch on the patio. Whiskeys are unique and make great cocktails. Great spot for lunch and relaxation.

Not many places let you have 4 taste per person for free! All the post reviews were spot on. Definitely a must do.
Don’t forget to try the BBQ sauce! We did and walked out with a half gallon jug😬

We actually went here with our 21-year-old son. We all enjoyed sampling the moonshine and beer. We would have loved to take a tour but that’s only available to do on Saturdays I believe. We did the 4 complimentary moonshine samples and 1 complimentary beer sample and then we each bought a full size cocktail there and also bought a bottle of vanilla bean moonshine as well as a bottle of the blackberry to take home with us. Definitely coming back next time on a Saturday so we can do the tour ! Staff was very nice as well.

We have stopped in and sampled their "moonshine" liquor when visiting the lake of the Ozarks. We decided to take the tour and see the distillery and learn more about about their operation. It's a small hole in the wall but we really enjoyed seeing how he makes his booze and got to sample some of his product in progress.

We went shopping on Friday for the wife and a little for me, then Saturday we went to the Ozark Distillery that was the total reward for the short trip. Went to the 10:00 am tour and it was well worth the time the tour guide ( brew master/owner/super nice guy) gave us one hour of great history, the process, and a education on the distilling process on a small batch process that was super. Then came the free samples in the sample room that was also super. Any person or group that is going to the Osage Beach area please take the time on Saturday the only day they give free tours its well worth the time.

Great tour of facility! Dave was knowledge, friendly and humorous. Whole family was welcoming and accommodating, even Mama Dog! Free tasting at end. Excellent products. I especially liked the BBQ sauce.

We came to the lake to celebrate our birthdays and decided to do the tour. We really enjoyed ourselves. Dave have a great tour and kept you intrigued and laughing. Great drinks and loved sampling all the different stuff. Thx for a great couple hours. We will be back! We even left with some souvenirs to drink lol. 😊

Very friendly staff. Apple Pie and Blackberry Moonshines were very good. Make this a definite stop on your way through.

Good selection of spirits. Very nice staff. Did not take the tour just did the tasting. Neat little setting.

Fantastic Mom and Pop distillery with a great little tour--i learned a lot and tried a few samples--the blackberry moonshine was killer!!

Ozark Distillery was a fun place to visit. The owners are friendly and very knowledgable. We enjoyed our tour and visiting with them. The Vanilla Bean is wonderful! Keep up the great work!

OMG. If you miss this option in Lake of the Ozark you missed an experience. Great beer and moonshine to sample. Golf with Friends and enjoyed stopping for a beer.

The tasting person was knowledgeable about their products. Great tasting moonshine, especially mixed! We bought 2 bottles of the black berry. A must stop if you are in the area.

First their products are excellent. Hard for me to decide on which flavors to take home.
The tastings were free and the young lady behind the bar was very nice and wanted us to try them all plus mixing their product to show different flavors.
Dave, the owner and distiller, visited with the us at length describing what went into his product. Very interesting ands a super nice guy. Thanks for a great visit. Would love to do the tour.

We had such a good time here. The drinks are so yummy and you kind of feel like you try them ALL! Staff was super friendly - we returned a couple of times.

If you are coming to the Lake of the Ozarks, this is a place you do not want to miss! We have been to Ozark Distillery several times and it is a place we love to take out-of-towners!
They are the nicest people you will ever meet, and their products from vodka to moonshine are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Once you try their amazing products, (which you can sample on premises), you will be a repeat customer too!!! :)

This small distillery in Osage Beach, MO is very interesting. They seem to make various flavors of moonshine for those who like those spirits. However, their bourbon is exceptional and available in their little store. It it limited in other liquor stores. It has a unique flavor and is great for sipping.
Tour the place and get tasting.

We stopped in and didn't get to tour but we got to sample. We were pleasantly surprised and walked away with a couple of bottles of moonshine. Very smooth!

We really enjoyed the "tour". The owner is really nice and entertaining. We're not drinkers, but learning about the process was interesting. I did taste after the tour and they were all tasty but I didn't try the plain moonshine. If you have issues standing for 30 minutes or more there are a couple chairs in the tour room.

We stopped here for the first time & were impressed. Tastings of the moonshine & beer were free & moved along quickly. Afterwards we ordered my card drinks & relaxed at a table. The pizza at the table next to us looked great. We bought a number of bottles of moonshine here, although another guest did tell us you can buy it at the local grocery store cheaper.

Absolutely the favorite part of the weekend. We just happened upon this place and decided to visit. The tour was the best!! Learned so much and what an amazing man living his passion. Tasting was fun and so hard to choose because everyone was delicious! Don't miss this gem of a time if your in the area!!

this is a must see on your visit to the lake. Very friendly people, come to find out the owner is from the same town we live! Super friendly people!

We were hesitant to try this place, as we wanted a good meal and didn’t know if the focus was only on the moonshine. The thin crust pizza was fantastic! We also had a lot of fun trying the different moonshine. Prices were very reasonable. All of us were so happy that we went here - it will definitely be one of our ‘go to’ places for a casual dinner when we’re at the lake.

Glad we made time to stop by. If you want a tour, make sure to book early in the day or ahead of time as it books fast. We were able to catch the last tour of the day since there were just two of us and it was a fun hour! I've been to other distilleries and breweries, but the owner was genuinely interested in teaching us the background of his product and what makes his a good spirit over others. We brought home two bottles and absolutely will look for this on shelves at our local grocer.

We brought our adult kids here to try the local brews and spirits. We enjoyed being able to taste before we bought and we all tried a few cocktails. They also have complimentary popcorn. Pizzas for sale as well.

Free samples of up to five flavored moonshines and two beers. Great pizzas on offer (the only food choice) to accompany the very reasonably priced on tap craft beer(s) of your choosing. Staff very friendly, sociable and will prepare a moonshine cocktail of your choice. We bought 5 different bottles of moonshine to take home!

We went on a weekend and booked a tour on Saturday online. We were all very happy for a very entertaining Owner! Thanks Dave! Great whiskey, Moonshines, vodka and Beer! The 5 bucks unreal! Will go back!

After shopping with my wife we decided to go to the Ozark Distillery and we are glad we did!
The owner, Dave, master distiller, tour guide & anything else that needs to be done, took us on a tour. I have been on other tours but none as fun as this one. Dave is just down home boy making moonshine.
Not only was the tour fun, the whiskey & the moonshine is great!

If you are at the Lake of the Ozarks, you need to take some time on a Saturday for a tour of Ozark Distillery. The tour is hosted by the owner, distiller and genuine good guy. Put this tour on your to do list and you will not be disappointed with the tour or the sampling afterwards!

Been wanting to go and visit this distillery for a while. I was able to make it on Saturday the 19th of March 2016. We had a group of about 20 people of so and Dave did a GREAT job explaining how his products were made. This is a family owned business and you will not meet two nicer people. If you have ever wanted to see how spirits are made, you have to go and visit this distillery. Got to try the Blackberry moonshine "Wow"!! Too many flavors to name here, but try them all - they will even make a mini mixed drink for you. Love to see someone who loves what they do, and Dave is that guy!! Take the tour-it is worth it just to listen to Dave and his funny stories!! A MUST do when you at the lake - you won't be sorry.

This was a great stop to make and I'm not a fan of moonshine, but was pleasantly surprised. The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable and would love to go back on a Saturday for the tour.

Recommend a visit! We were more than welcomed when we stopped in on a weekday. We sampled nearly every flavor (straight up and with mixers), plus they offered recipes for the items we purchased! Super friendly :-)

Best tour we've been on for distillery or winery. Very entertaining and informational. Loved all the stories. Tour/story telling lasted about 50 min. Enjoyed all the favored moonshine and drink creations. It was hard to decide what to buy. A must stop while at the Lake of the Ozarks.

We've known Dave for years & this is an old family recipe for a great alcohol!! It is corn based only, so is gluten free! He makes it plain and also with really good flavors like vanilla, apple, cinnamon, etc. I've used it martini style, hot cider, & frozen ice cream drinks. Works in anything but don't kid yourself...this isn't "fru-fru"... It's potent stuff! 😊 They give tours on how it's made too. Highly recommend trying some. It's really good-both men & women enjoy it.

Owner is very personable, and loves what he is doing. Tour is quick, but he will answer all questions. Clean environment, and best of all, samples.

Knowledgeable staff for how to mix the various flavors - they also had a pamphlet for the mixing after you get home. Prices of product was comparable to what would pay in stores. We didn’t do the tour, but next time will do that. Nice indoor & outdoor areas - it was hot so we chose indoor.

Great little distillery! Taste testing helped ilia to decide on beer and BBQ sauce. They also have a bar that you can purchase mixed drinks as well as their moonshines, bourbons, and beers. Great customer service

The owner was so much fun. He explained the whole distilling process so we could understand it. The tasting was a lot of fun too. Who knew Moonshine was so tasty! We were allowed to taste every variety they produce, even showing us how to use it with mixes....which they also supplied. If in the area, this is a must see.

Small operation, but very informative about the moonshine process. The owner and his wife were very friendly and happy to answer any and all questions. They make an outstanding product!

Booked a tour to check this small gem out. My husband and I love distillery tours. We checked the Holliday Distillery out last year for our honeymoon. Keeping the tradition alive, this year we celebrated our wedding anniversary and toured this distillery. We were pleasantly surprised with this tour, Dave the owner was funny and interesting. I love that he took such pride in his work and you can genuinely see his passion. We tried some moonshine afterwards and got some BBQ sauce, it is delicious for all you rib lovers. My favorite moonshine was the Bloody Mary mix, cinnamon and apple pie. The shelf was all out of Bourbon in the whole Osage area so you know he is doing it right!

Stopped in to check out this place during our visit. Very clean and had a good vibe. Staff was great and we picked up their bbq sauce, Bloody Mary mix, apple pie moonshine, and a growler of the blonde ale which was delicious. Can’t wait to come back again and get to stay and enjoy a tour and many drinks! Highly recommend this place!

Go for the tour on Saturday’s. Well worth the time and small cost. Owner gives the tours and he’s very knowledgeable and entertaining storyteller. They are also zero waste S they contract with local farms that can used the spent mash etc-so eco friendly as well. Came home with 3 different kinds of moonshine plus their bourbon whiskey.

The the entire tour is a single room, but you do see all of the distillery's equipment. Dave, the founder and owner is very knowledgeable and engaging. I will buy their moonshine whenever I am in Missouri.

What an great place to visit. Definitely take the tour. Dave goes through the entire distilling process and it's very interesting.
They now have food but I haven't had it.

We tried beers and the Vodka, moonshine and Bourbon. There have a lot of flavors of moonshine to taste that they can add a little mixer to to create very tasty cocktails with great flavors. After tasting we sat on the back patio area and had drinks along with free popcorn. Then ordered a pizza it was awsome. We will be back next year when we are here. CHEERS!!!

We visited the Ozark Distillery to sample their beer, moonshine and bourbon. We were not disappointed. Our favorite beer was dark and had strong coffee overtones. Our favorite moonshine was the peach. We decided to stay for a drink and sample their thin crust pizza which was delicious . The woman who was behind the counter was very welcoming and explained each tasting while making recommendations. I would definitely recommend stopping by to sample and purchase your favorite moonshine.

Had a great time on this "intimate" tour with 30+ other people. We enjoyed learning about the process of making whiskey, vodka, etc and tasting the different flavors. The owner was entertaining and really made the tour! We bought my husband 100 proof Moonshine for a great Father's Day gift.

Happened upon this jewel by accident. We stopped in for a tasting and enjoyed it all. Very nice owners. May have to come back for the tour

I found out about this place here on Trip Advisor and since we were staying at Tan Tar A nearby we decided to stop. What a great find! Very friendly and welcoming! Not only were they generous with offering samples but also great ideas what to use as mixers with the various alcohol. We had a great time and hated to not be able to go back Saturday morning for the in depth tour but we had a wedding to attend and get ready for. If we are in the area again we will definitely try to make the tour. This is a great place to stop!

Beautiful decor, excellent drinks, and craft beer. The service was outstanding. The best Bloody Mary I've ever tasted! Drink tasting on site.

Our first time visiting the area and I was intrigued enough by their Moonshines to stop and check it out. Great looking place as you enter and we enjoyed warm and friendly service during our tasting and then staying to enjoy a drink on their outside patio. Decided to take home some Apple Moonshine to create a couple of their recommended drink recipes during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Dave was knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot on his mini tour. Some of the smoothest vodka I've every had. If you are a Bourbon lover, you're going to love Dave's. We tasted everything he had to offer and went home with four bottles. Well, really only went home with three because the wife and I finished off a bottle of vodka that night. We will definitely stop in the next time we visit the Ozarks. Thanks for a great visit Dave.

My husband, two boys and I went to the Ozark Distillery today. The tour was great. The owner is very knowledgeable and quite a fun presenter. We all enjoyed the tour. My boys, 13 and 10 didn't complain at all. They had a checkers game inside the building they played.
The moonshine is very tasty. You can sample all the flavors. They even mix a few with lemonade and cream soda if you prefer.

Random stop back to Margaritaville and lucky us because we’re going to buy bottles to bring back to MN. We were told in Iowa , gas stop, to stop here never thought we’d run across it. We love mixed drinks and good service and found both here. Walked in was offered a tasting and ordered our favorites. Try it!

We enjoyed the samples (before noon). I must say the sweet tea and blackberry moonshine is the best. They even make recommendations what to mix with each drink. Next time I will try the tour.

My husband and I just happened to pass this place on the way to the condo we rented for our anniversary weekend and decided to check it out. It was easy to book online and we ended up being the very last tour ever in their original distilling room which was cool. When we first arrived, it was a very small tasting and merchandise room, made even smaller by the 50 people that had just shown up for our tour AND the 50 people that were finishing the previous tour that had come in to taste the moonshine. It was so chaotic and unorganized that we considered leaving. But, it wasn't costing us anything so we stuck with it. I'm glad we did. The owner/maker took us back to their brand new room and the original room to tell us every detail of how they got started a few years ago and exactly how they make their alcohols, and even exactly where their ingredients come from, which is all local. Even told us where their waste goes to, which is also local farms to feed animals. It was VERY evident that the owner is passionate about what he does and really enjoys passing his knowledge in to us. He was very funny and answered all the questions. It was a fantastic tour that took about an hour.
Back up at the tasting room, it was very chaotic again. You basically have to push through people to get to the front and tell the ladies what you want to try and you don't get to try all of the flavors. So that part of the business needs work and to be streamlined.
However, we did find out that there is a local liquor store that is selling some of Ozark Distillery's products and we are definitely going to go buy some more because I want to support Ozark Distillery now that I have taken the tour and I know where everything comes from and just how much they care about their product. You just don't really find that passion and sharing of knowledge many places. I definitely recommend and we will be back to visit their new room.

A few of our friends recommended this tour on one of the Saturday we were in town for vacation and we were not disappointed.
Dave gives a very personable and explanation of the distillery process and in the end you are able to see and taste the finished product for purchase.
Tour can last anywhere from 40-55 minutes pending on the questions if there are any from the other guests. I recommend getting there early for the tour because the space is limited.
In the end, the Blackberry moonshine was my favorite and is WONDERFUL with lemonade.

Loved visiting the Ozark Distillery. Dave is the master distiller and gives the tours. He is so funny and knowledgeable about the process. Samples are plentiful following the tour.

Customer service was great. Had a great tasting of several shines and bbq sauce. Went there to buy some bbq sauce for someone and ended up buying some other products and eating lunch there. Great pizza.

This tour was wonderful. We stopped in the bar first which had a wonderful selection of delicious cocktails and beers all made by the distillery. We brought our drinks with us on the tour given by a man who is clearly passionate about his craft. After the tour we went back to the bar for tastings of their many whisky flavors. From traditional bourbon and moonshine to sweet tea and butterscotch flavors, there is something for everyone. You can try as many as you want including their bloody mary mix and DELICIOUS bbq sauce. Well worth the low price of admission for the tour. Cannot recoment enough!!!

It was hard to choose which tastings I liked best. I ended up with Butterscotch and a Vanilla Bean, plus a bottle of BBQ sauce.

The moonshine is real smooth. We had a great time sipping the different flavors they make. The tastes are free which is really cool. The gal behind the bar was super friendly and explained quite a bit about the liquor

Stopped by for a tasting with a group of friends and was blown away! The free tasting is very generous. The drinks are all fine quality. Very smooth! Candy and Andrew took amazing care of us and really made us feel like regulars. The pizza tasted great and was ready quickly. We had planned a quick stop and stayed til last call. AND, we all purchased growlers of their amazing brew to share with others.

Found this place online under 10 free things to do in the Lake of the Ozarks area. They give tours on the hour on Saturdays and if you are in the area I highly recommend stopping. It is a small operation but the owner has such knowledge and passion about his work it shows in his tour. After the tour you have the opportunity to sample his product which includes a bourbon whiskey, vodka, and different flavored moonshine. Our favorite was the apple pie moonshine mixed with cream soda for an apple pie ala mode drink. All ages can take the tour, you just need to be over 21 to sample.

If you like moonshine, vodka, and bourbon, check out Ozark Distrillery. 2 miles down KK off of Hwy 54 in Osage Beach.
Variety of flavor of moonshine available. The newest flavor is "Sweet Tea." Dave, the owner and distiller performs tours on the hour on Saturdays. Fun and informative tours and great tastings for adults.
I highly recommend Ozark Distillery!

We scheduled a Saturday afternoon tour, not expecting much, but were so happy we went! This was an awesome tour. Dave gave a fantastic presentation filled with funny stories! It was quite informative and entertaining! Free tasting at the end of any and all of their products. We are suggesting this tour to all of our friends!

Some of their cocktails are dangerously good. As in, dangerously easy to drink a lot of. The butter beer and apple pie were my personal favorites. We went on the tour which was incredibly informative and ended with a lot of free samples.
Will be back!

The owner gave a great ‘ tour’ and taught us about the process of making quality spirits. He does these once a week at 11- reservation needed ( on line is easy)
The tour includes tastings
I assure you he makes quality products!
They serve wonderful creative cocktails and offer some food. Highly recommend visiting and doing business with these folks!!

We stopped in while vacationing. It was too late for us to take the tour of the distillery but we did get to sample the moonshine, bourbon, and the BBQ sauce made there. Apple Pie and Butterscotch mixed with cream soda are my favorites.
You can order any of their mixed moonshine drinks and pizza. We all got a large combo pizza and the Adult Harry Potter Butterbeer. The butterbeer is so good. We know we'll be coming back to do the tour!

Fantastic experience....from the tour to the tasting!! Owner is tour giver, very friendly and warm.Must go if you're in the ozarks!!!!Butterscotch moonshine is fabulous!

Great tour and fun time. Quality product is what they bottle and after tour you will understand why. I fell like we came in as customers and we left as friends.

The tasting is free for 4 samples and the serves are very friendly. We especially like the cinnamon and butterscotch moon shine.

We were quite impressed with the history of this distillery - it certainly makes one think about all the pieces of the process. The moonshine was Class A & the barbeque sauce was so unique!

Husband and wife team running the business. Husband does very informative and occasionally funny tours of distillery. Very clean! Good samples.

We had a great time on the tour. The owner has a clear passion for his business, a great sense of humor, and was very knowledgeable. The tasting was great, too. The butterscotch moonshine was my favorite!

Very nice visit recently to this small, quaint, family owned distillery right off of KK highway. The owners are just super nice and the tour guide (Dan? I think) can really talk the talk and walk the walk-he is great to listen to!! Very entertaining. We really enjoyed the approx 1 hour free tour...then free samples afterwards. You can buy some nice things there at their store-shop. I bought the Blackberry Moonshine and my friend bought their "Tea"...got a shirt and a couple of candles and such. I meant to get a hat and forgot to do so!! They are closed on Sun-Mon and we left early Monday so...We will visit again when we return next year for sure!! PS..be sure to try out some of their recommended mixes...turned out to be very simple and good stuff!!

This distillery is great. They have their own whiskey Vodka and several flavors of moonshine. Ice tea moonshine is scary good. They’re also brewing beer which also tasty. I’m a huge fan of their bbq sauce.
See you next time we’re in town.

We had been here previously and were amazed at the changes and additions! Even if you do not drink, don't miss the tour. It is informative and very entertaining, better than most stand-up comedy routines. It is great to see someone who enjoys what he does and is achieving such success. We were told a microbrewery and food service are coming this fall. This may seem like an odd "can't miss" attraction, but it truly is.

Great drinks, informative tour, terrific customer service, and the product was wonderful. The premises were clean and well maintained. All product clearly labeled and the decor fit very nicely. The head distiller gave a great tour and lots of information.

Read about this on trip advisor so we decided to give it a look. We did a tour on Saturday (they go every hour). The tour lasts about half and hour (depending on questions), and you have to walk about 50 feet total. I never realized how much science and chemistry were involved in distilling. I just figured it was easy because on TV they just do it in the shed out back. Tasting the different products is fun and interesting. This is a great way to spend part of the day.

Nice to go on a tour where the person that does the distilling is the one that gives the tour. Smooth moonshine, blackberry was a favorite.

This place was awesome. Free tasting for 4 samples of flavored spirits. The drinks were really good and their home made Bloody Mary Mix was really tasty and different. The thin crust pizza was really good.

Couldn't get in to our rental yet so we decided to stop here 1st. Arrived just in time for the tour. We weren't planning on taking it but we were glad we did. Very informative and good humor. Did some tasting after the tour and bought a vanilla moonshine and bbq sauce. Tour and tasting is free. Worth the stop. They are also in the process of building a micro brewery so we'll have to stop back next time around.

This tour was great, small scale distillery and a small group tour. Interesting tour guide, funny and well delivered. Product samples upon exit! Great hour diversion for all. Unique facilities and topic, friendly employees, clean and well run!

A must stop when visiting Osage Beach. A husband and wife distillery focusing on whiskey, vodka and moonshine. Highly recommend the tours on Saturday. Free of charge, the owners are very friendly, answered all questions. Just great people. Good selection of spirits to buy. The vanilla or blackberry moonshine are smooth. High quality liquor!!

We did the tour which was both entertaining and informative. The owner had some great stories but then described the details into easily understood language. Then you got to taste all their products. We settled on the apple pie and butterscotch. Great product.

We stopped here one morning as we were staying nearby - it was absolutely worth the stop! The owners/staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. We had a couple samples (very tasty) and left with apple pie and iced tea flavored moonshine, and some amazing BBQ sauce. I highly recommend visiting!

Stopped into visit this new company, was curious to see what it was about. Met the Owners, Dave and his wife are wonderful people. Like others have said, single room, quick tour, however Dave will spend as much time explaining what he is doing, how he got started and different things he has tried. He is extremely excited about creating a product that people enjoy. Fun to see and sample. I will be friends to the tour this summer. I did by a bottle of Bourbon and will buy another one of their products on my next visit.

It was Girls’ Weekend last Saturday at the Lake, so we decided to tour Ozark Distillery rather than go to the usual winery, see what it was all about & do a little tasting :). Soooo glad we decided to do this! Like some of the other reviewers, I expected something bigger & when I drove up to the small building located on Hwy KK just past Tan-Tar-A, I paused & wondered if I should keep driving to that winery – BUT, we wanted a different experience so said what-the-hell. Owners, Dave & his wife, are very friendly, laidback, informative & accommodating – Dave provides the complimentary backroom tour (usually 30-45 minutes) & his wife & the family dog provide complimentary tasting in the lobby. Tours are available Saturday-only, 10am – 4pm, every hour on the hour. Tasting is available 6 days a week – they are closed on Wednesdays. Dave walks you through the production & legal process, equipment, chemistry of it all, answering questions & keeping the discussion both very interesting & humorous. Their product is very smooth & high quality (no hangovers:) I am enjoying the blackberry shine, great mixed with lemonade, & the butterscotch shine, perfect alone over ice or mixed with crème soda. The moonshines & vodka are available for purchase for $24.99/bottle; I believe the bourbon whisky was a little higher. It is available at a number of retail outlets which you can find listed on their website (www.ozarkdistillery.com). Most I’m finding to be priced the same, so go ahead & purchase it directly on your visit for a nice souvenir. A restroom is available. Judging by the TripAdvisor ranking, the Ozark Distillery is becoming quite popular – we had 10 people in our tour group, the tour after us had 25 people participating! (Poor Dave) The couple also handles property management of a number of rental properties in nearby Tan-Tar-A Estates if you are looking for accommodations – photos of these properties & information are available in the lobby. Definitely check them out next time you are in the area & enjoy!

This is a family effort and delivers tasty liquors and an interesting, friendly tour. Great way to get out of the rain!

Took tour on Saturday morning. Was greeted by Mama, the family dog. Very informative and fun experience...Dave, takes you through the process of how the products are made...with sample tasting after the tour.

This is a rustic, but charming distillery/bar near Lake of The Ozarks. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Tasting options include 4 or 5 whiskeys, or a flight of three beers/ales for $5.00 per person. They will also offer fresh popcorn and pizza, but the beverages are the main attraction. I recommend the 45 minute tour of the distillery, but the tours fill up, so if you plan on attending, be sure to sign up on-line the day before you plan on being there. My wife and I tried the whiskeys, which with the exception of the aged bourbon, were really more akin to whisky liqueurs. With regard to their beer and ale, our favorite was the bourbon stout, which had a distinct chocolaty flavor. I am normally not a fan of stouts, but this particular ales was delicious. If you are in the area, don't pass on the Ozark Distillery.

This is the first time we’ve visited the distillery since the expansion and enjoyed it as much as the first time!!!! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town! Can’t wait to try the new beer and pizza!!!

Simple tasting room with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of great varieties to choose from....that is when it gets tough....it is so hard to decide what to take home. We are especially fond of the blackberry moonshine with lemonade. YUM!!!!

We took a "couples" trip to Osage Beach in November and stopped in the Ozark Distillery. It's a small, but quaint place. The receptionist was super friendly and full of local information on eateries, etc. (We took her advice and ate at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse!). The owner gave us the tour, explained all the different processes to make bourbon and moonshine. We got to have a little taste of his products - my favorite was the Blackberry Moonshine with a splash of lemonade! YUM! I'd highly recommend this if you have some time down time and are looking for something to do!

We stopped in twice on our recent trip to Lake of the Ozarks. Friendly staff, delicious cocktails and beer. We grabbed a couple flavored moonshines to take home as well.

A friendly welcome from the lady on the reception who immediately showed a passion for what she did. It turned out that it was a family run business and she was the owner. I was surprised that the bottling process remained old fashioned with bottles being filled by hand rather than a machine churning them out by the thousand. The moonshine was a high quality product and far superior to some of these large batch ones you can get in other places. I got the tee-shirt and will wear it around town (back home) to promote this wonderful little business.Definitely worth a trip!

We took the tour, and immediately felt like Dave was the guy who lives down the street that makes you smile when you see him, and you can tell dozens of stories about!
I'm not into the flavored moonshines, gin, or vodka-not bashing, just dont prefer those types of spirits from any distillery! But i do enjoy bourbon, and Ozark Distillery bourbon is a great treat! I pick up a bottle or two every chance i get. Even if you don't take the tour, stop in and see the place, and sample the product!

This is a lake of the ozark must. The tour is great. Very interesting. Free samples. Dave- our tour guide was funny, entertaining and you could tell he is very passionate about the product. It’s nice to see small/local businesses grow and succeed. We purchased the apple moonshine and can’t wait to try it. Cheers.

My wife and I were visiting our son at Fort Leonard Wood and were looking for things to do on the weekend. Saw the Ozark Distillery on TripAdvisor and decided to visit. We were not disappointed. Dave did a great job on the tour explaining the process and did it in a very entertaining way. We had a chance before the tour to taste some of his products. We went back to Wisconsin with a bottle of Moonshine. This tour is a must do if you are visiting the area. Thanks for a great Missouri Welcome!

Stopped in about noon on a Thursday so there were no tours, but we enjoyed the free tasting, cocktails and pizza. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I especially liked the salted caramel moonshine and my husband
Liked the peach moonshine. Really nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Dave did an awesome job on the tour. It was very interesting to listen how he got started in his profession. Would strongly recommend this place of business and look forward to going back. I failed to mention that the Butterscotch is incredible .

Quench your thirst with both knowledge and Moonshine! Nothing wrong with that! Had a great time visiting with Dave and Tiffhany.

We did the tour and thought it was interesting and educational. The products they sell, are pricey but very good.

I'm not big into guided tours, but this was totally different. The owner himself shows you how he personally crafts the moonshine, bourbon, etc. Very interesting guy who clearly has a passion for what he does and creates a high quality product. The apple pie moonshine with cream soda was our favorite. We purchased 3 jugs.

The owner did a great job in giving us a very personal tour of his distillery. He shared a lot of knowledge about the process and the business. They have a really nice variety for tasting and suggested ways to serve. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to go back soon. We are about out of the flavors that we bought!

I have been to pretty much all the distilleries on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky. Dave rivals the best of them at Ozark Distillery! His story, and the way he tells it, brings both history and humor together to tell the story of HIS bourbon trail. And to top it off, he makes an excellent bourbon!
Don't miss this when in the area. Hope to be back with my husband once Ozark Distillery is done with their addition to the facility.

Had a very enjoyable time at this distillery, especially meeting and talking with the owner at length. He's very passionate about his small batch products, making sure to get the taste and quality right and it shows in all his products. He gives a very informative tour of his small distillery and will tell you anything and everything you want to know. They have a very large selection for sampling - vodka, moonshine, bourbon and an awesome variety of flavored moonshines. It was very difficult not to walk out of there with half a dozen bottles or more, but I limited myself to 2, knowing I would be back again as soon as possible. Oh and if you like vodka, his is one of the smoothest I've ever had - seriously, you can't go wrong with anything he has to offer there. Very easy to find - right near the entrance to Tan-tar-a. Make sure to try this place - it is worth the trip!

Great little place! And I mean little... It was a room where all of his magic happens... We did the tour and tastings... We had both a teenager and a 6 yr old in our group, our tour guide/ owner included everyone! Thanks for sharing your passion with everyone! My husband is a snobby "knob creek" bourbon only guy... However has already decided how to buy more of your bourbon even after leaving with 2 bottles of his very own.... Thanks again!

Very cute, chill place to visit and have a beer/cocktail. We did not order pizza, but my husband tried all the beers, and enjoyed them all. I ordered a Bloody Mary with their vodka and own Bloody Mary mix. It was great! We also enjoyed the complimentary popcorn and samples. The employees were super friendly! The prices were reasonable also.

Friendly, informative and free - unless you buy after tasting! What more could you ask for? People who want to learn about a small business success story told by a great story teller cannot miss this tour! This is a small business, so the tour is appropriately short, 30-40 minutes, depending on how many questions people have. It was informative and interesting - Dave has a true talent and it is obvious he loves what he does. The tasting afterwards was a bonus attraction! There were 8 in our group and all of us would repeat this tour, including our designated drive (me) who doesn't care much for whiskey!

What a fun place to visit on a hot day. We stopped by and received our five free little samples of the moonshine, and two of the beer. We ended up buying their vanilla moonshine (so good with root beer), their tea and their peach moonshine. Afterwards we had a quick lunch. Their pizza was very good. This is definitely a place to visit when you are at the Lake of the Ozarks.

We took a tour and by the end of it my feet/back were tired from just standing around for an hour. The owner kept getting distracted and giving someone "trouble" for looking at their cell phone. It didn't bother me, but it made the tour that much longer.
Having said that, the samples they offered were good and unlimited. I enjoyed the cinnamon flavor. Worth
a visit, but a tour isn't necessary.

I have been on tours of breweries before but not a distillery. This was one of the best tours I have ever been on! Dave Huffman the owner & distiller is awesome! He takes you on the tour himself & makes it fun & enjoyable. I learned a lot of things about liquor that I didn't know before. If you visit Osage Beach I highly recommend you come here. You will love it!!

Friendly staff and great drinks for over 21. Loved it. Not your normal moonshine- they do an excellent job of creating great drinks that you will certainly find something you like. Very well done.

100 percent satisfied with Ozark Distillery.
The place is authentic and historic.
Tasting is generous and I took a bottle of corn mash moonshine home with me.

The distillery has tours on the hour on Saturdays. We tried to make it for the first one at 10am but got lost. Their distillery sign is dark brown and kind of blends into the background. So we decided to do the tasting before the tour. So glad we did! You can try 5 kinds of moonshine, a vodka, and a bourbon whiskey. The have some good stuff that goes down smooth! We purchased the butterscotch moonshine ( I don't even like butterscotch but it is really good) and the bourbon. We stayed for the next tour and really learned a lot. The owner is very passionate about what he does. It sure looks like he's got a good thing going. And did I mention the tasting is free? You won't be disappointed!

We had a party of 4 & we had a great time. Did the tour with Dave that is full of knowledge & a comedian :) The staff was so so nice. My husband was looking at the t-shirts in the shop and broke a hanger (can't take him anywhere) :) :) So of course I made him buy the t-shirt! lol The prices are great on everything, Ohhh and don't forget to try the bbq sauce they make....YUM! ps...try the sample "cinnamon roll" scary good!!

It's not everyday that you get to visit a distillery and taste test 103 proof! Small, family owned business and the folks just couldn't be nicer! Unfortunately they weren't conducting tours when we stopped but we did get to taste the flavored moonshines and whiskey. The Blackberry Moonshine with some lemonade was pretty tasty!

we enjoyed our tour of the distillery by the owner, Dave. He is quite comical and definitely knows his stuff when it comes to making booze. We loved tasting the different products after the tour and left with 2 boxes of moonshine and whisky! Also, be sure to check their website daily because I read some of the reviews and it said the tours were only on Saturdays, which is not true. I got on their website and luckily discovered tours on Friday (day before we were to head home from our vacation).

We visited Ozark Distillery on the first day "The Professor" was set into place. The owner, his wife and daughter where real people and took the time to answer all our questions and even pose for pictures. They are passionate about their craft and enjoy telling their story. We would recommend this stop to everyone visiting the lake.

We came to Osage Beach to have a quick anniversary weekend. Ozark Distillery was on the top of our list to visit and it did not disappoint! The family is wonderfully entertaining, the tour was informative and best of all, the moonshine is fabulous! I highly recommend taking this tour when in the area.

Dave is excellent during the tour! He has a good story to tell, and does a very good job telling it. AFter the tour we sampled a few flavors and decided on the Blackberry...mix it with some lemonade for a great drink! The tour is free, and we'd recommend going...it's well worth the trip.

Great tour - only on Saturdays. Tour guide was owner/operator/maker/Mr. Everything. He was great - very interesting & down to earth. Tour in back, tastings in front of building. Very friendly & took time to talk to everyone like friends. I've already recommended it to many friends that return to Ozarks a lot

The moonshine is delicious. The tour was interesting and fact filled. Really nice family business. This is a must see/do experience if you are in the area!

Excellent quality, great assortment, and friendly knowledgeable staff. Don’t miss this place IF you like liquor! 4 free tastes offered before you make your choices. Can’t beat that.

We were staying in the area and looking for things to do and found this tiny gem of a place. The owners take great pride in their products using only natural flavors if the FDA approves, offers very informative tours where the owner will answer any and all questions about distilling spirits. The owner has been distilling since the young age of 16 so he knows a thing or two about distilling and is a wealth of knowledge and shares his knowledge in a very friendly manner. The best part is the tasting! Their moonshine is real corn whiskey and all the flavors are yummy! Apple Pie (the owner hand peels over 100 lbs of 3 varieties apples and adds real cinnamon), Cinnamon (NOT the fireball crazy hot), vanilla (uses real, very expensive vanilla bean), Blackberry (uses real fresh blackberries), sweet tea (uses real tea and cane sugar). Even the plain is smooth, but our very fav is the Butterscotch! You would think you were sucking on a hard butterscotch candy! They let you taste all for free and even mix the moonshine w/ a variety of sides such as coke, orange juice, but the best is the Cinnamon Moonshine and cream soda, tastes like a cinnamon roll! We tasted one day and came back on Sat for the tour (10AM-4PM on the hour) and they let us taste again!. Each tour lasts about 40 min to 1 hour depending upon questions. Of course we bot the Butterscotch!! We've now added this to our local winery tour run we do each year in mid April. Can't wait to go back next year to see what yummy concoctions they will make!

We had a great time on the tour listening to the owner describe what he does and how he got started. We highly recommend the tour and the sampling. A great success story and a fun way to spend an hour or so.

Great 45 minute tour. If you like Moonshine, Vodka and Bourbon it is a fun afternoon. Dave gives a great explanation of the distillery process.
Fantastic
We are science teachers and just found the distillery. We took the Saturday tour. David was fantastic. He gave a very detailed discussion and personalized tour. Including how he got started as well as the process of making spirits. His hard work and attention to detail pays off when you taste the products. They are all quite delicious. We loved the apple! Give it a try, you will be happy you did.
