5 of 80 Best Attractions in Pigeon Forge

One of the best hidden experiences!
I’ve been coming to Tennessee for 3 years and never heard about this. My family and I will be coming back.

Amazing so much fun and such a unique experience. Fun for all ages and we will talk about this forever! The pictures were pricey but worth it

We absolutely loved Parrot Mountain! It was very well laid out to facilitate a 'go at your own speed' through out. The birds were very well cared for, the staff was great and the gardens were beautiful. These birds are all rescues, even one that came from the High Hefner estate.

This was one of my favorite places to visit in pigeon forge! Very up close experience the staff was so great! Will go again

AMAZING: STAFF, BIRDS, LAYOUT, PARKING. One of the best places to visit with family and friends. Don't pass this by. So many more species that parrots to enjoy.

The facility is very clean and landscaped beautifully. The workers were friendly and accommodating. My mother is in a wheelchair and has a hard time walking. The offer a private golf cart tour for a fee and it was well worth it. There are over 500 beautuful birds in the rescue. Please note, it is a steep driveway and the parking lot is also sloped. We spent 2 hours during our visit. The The staff was knowledgeable and made a our time memorable. This is a hidden gem in the smokies. Highly recommend!

One of the funnest places I have ever visited. The birds are gorgeous and the staff are wonderful. Would like to give a shout out to one of the workers named Terri. She was very helpful and kind. She went out of her way to give us a ride back to our car in a golf cart. I highly recommend Parrot Mountain.

As a bird loving family, this attraction was heaven! We have visited numerous bird sanctuaries and nature centers and this was by far the most interactive. You are able to handle and feed numerous birds. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly nice and easily answered our numerous questions. This was our favorite experience from our trip to the area.

This is a must see. Beautiful birds of all types. All rescue birds. You can even hold a baby bird for free and feed the birds for $.25.

We went with our family for a Mother’s Day trip. It was absolutely amazing!! Shar helped us out with a golf cart for my grandmother and explained everything to us. She was absolutely amazing!! I would absolutely recommend Parrot Mountain if you make the trip to Seirveville!!!

What an awesome place to spend some time. I love feeding the birds and hearing them talk. The staff, especially Shar are very friendly too. I would recommend making a memory here with kids or solo.

Seriously a MUST stop every time we visit the area!! We’ve been coming since my daughter was born! It’s always a peaceful time walking through the gardens. Seeing all the birds! Feeding a petting the parrots! And the staff is always willing to educate you and answer any questions we have! We spend hours there!!

This is my second time coming- and I’ll be back with more family next year! I love this place and the experience you get with the birds, and the touch of Jesus makes it that much better! Love the free bible at the end.

Beautiful bird sanctuary with amazing nature and plants to view throughout. Very family oriented and has an amazing story of hope and unity within. Staff were super friendly and peaceful! Sharlene was the best and has a great humor and kindness about her during our tour. She is obviously part of the heart of this establishment. Go enjoy the birds, views, peace and beauty on your next trip to Pigeon Forge for sure.

Such a cool experience! Got to see so many different types of birds and even got to hold them!! We loved every second. Wish we would have came earlier so we had more time with the sweet birds. Also staff was so sweet!

The experience was so AMAZING!! Holding parrots and learning about them was so neat it was like a little slice of heaven.

It was exciting to see and interact with the different birds. We loved taking family pictures while holding some of the birds and you get to purchase the pics. The food at the end was really good. We will definitely be back to visit.

We absolutely loved Parrot mountain! My husband and I, with our two daughters, enjoying seeing the variety of birds, many happily perched outside. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding them, interacting with them, and even holding a few! The gardens were beautiful and the views were spectacular! We strongly recommend this place!

MUST SEE!!! Everything birds and SO MUCH FUN. My 29 yr old son can't stop raving. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Feeding the lorikeets is an absolute thrill. Plan on at least a couple of hrs. So glad we came

If you love birds, this is the place for you!!! Hundreds of tropical birds, all rescued from various unfortunate circumstances. We would highly recommend taking the guided tour on a golf cart! Our guide was Shar, and she was analyzing!! She told us so much about the birds, their history and their unique personalities! You can opt to do a walking tour, but you will miss out on a lot without a guide!! Be sure to purchase tickets to feed birds. Thanks Shar for giving us lots of awesome pics and memories!! Gary and Carol, Evans, Ga

Beautiful birds in a beautiful setting. There are hundreds of birds and you can hold and feed many of them. It is really a fun place.

If you loves birds this is a great place to visit and see all kinds of birds.
Great experience feeding the birds and interacting with the birds at several stations.
Staff was very friendly.
A little pricey on admission and they charge a credit card fee.
The only thing is to be prepared for the steep mountain slope. It can make it a little difficult to navigate while walking through. They do have golf carts for rent.

We really enjoyed parrot mountain. Highlight of our trip. Do the golf cart if have trouble walking. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place! Shar was kind and a gracious host to our family. We enjoyed our time with all the birds. Cages were clean and all areas of the park were exceptional. Staff knew the names of the individual birds and what had brought them there. Our second time visiting and I look forward to it again.

Parrot Mountain
This tour is one of the best things I’ve done in 3 years of summer vacationing in TN. Parrot Mountain makes many opportunities for guests to hold certain birds—feeding or holding finches, babies, and amazing, rescued birds. Employees explained that some visitors don’t take the time to ask about apparently troubled or damaged birds, but CHAR, a wonderful member of this ministry, knew the story of each bird. From how they prefer to be picked up, their ages, the circumstances that led to the necessity of rescue, to prompts that would lead them to sing, speak, and display their feathers, CHAR handled the birds in ways that amazed me and even brought tears to my eyes.
It was always a mystery what made certain birds speak or come to the front of the cage or sing to us, but it didn’t get old.
The whole family loves feeding the lorikeets.
The finale of holding baby birds is always a hit. But while some of the birds are for sale/up for adoption, the prices (including travel cages) are not cheap.

Good wholesome fun. Children are thrilled by all the birds. Adults enjoy the natural beauty of everything, birds, plants & the prayer garden. We go every year when we vacation up here.

Loved everything about Parrot Mountain and Gardens. The birds are beautiful, interesting, well cared for. Sharlene led us through the maze, talking and interacting with the birds all the way. They have a petting zoo where visitors can feed or interact with the birds. The entire staff is very friendly and so helpful. The gardens are beautiful. The theme is inspiring. I highly recommend Parrot Mountain. May 1, 2025

We visited Parrot mountain after 12 years and we were amazed to see the growth and the amoubt of parrots they are maintaining. Our guide Shar was extraordinary She has great knowledge about the parrots. She was super friendly and she explained very nicely to my daughter. I would definitely recommend her for all the visitors.

Nice bird sanctuary and the gardens are beautiful. Nice you get to actually touch and hold the birds. Parking lot is not for the faint of heart it's steep. But they have a golf cart that can pick you up and bring you back to your car.

What an amazing place!! Seeing and holding all the rescued birds was an awesome experience! I had been to the area many times but had never visited Parrot Mountain. It is one of the best attractions in the area. Everyone needs to visit! Ask for Sharlene to be your tour guide. Her knowledge of and passion for Parrot Mountain is amazing!! She was wonderful!!

A great place to hang out with the loved ones during the hot days (having a lot of shades) to learn about a variety of parrots as well as the wisdom statements at some exhibits. Also having a real cool experience to feed some birds inside the big cage.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!
EXCELLENT staff, BEAUTIFULLY maintained, clean, fun!!!
We had a WONDERFUL time!!!
DEFINITELY would recommend!!!

Visited Parrot Mountain shortly after 10am in October with 2 kids, 8 and 10. We had a great experience. It was not crowded and we saw so many birds. We spent about 1.5 hours there and would recommend it to anyone visiting Gatlinburg!

The 2 employees in the front of the garden were ignoring me altogether and gossiping between each other, I got bit by a bird and I thought theyd respond but nothing was really cared for. I didnt know how to interact with the birds at all, I wish I got some instructions it would have made my visit better. I kept it short in the end because it was just not what I expected.

My daughter loves nature and our family in general love parrots. We own a Quaker. The workers were knowledgeable. We enjoyed interacting with them all and appreciated the time they spent with us. In particular Shar was fabulous!!!

Loved our experience , Parrots were talkative ! Well kept and clean .. amazing staff .. we will definitely be back ! Highly recommend

This is an experience with great interaction with the parrots and also we enjoyed walking the beautiful grounds that are created with such care. We had fun with the parrots, holding and feeding them. Overall it's quite unique!

Great little cafe. Toilets on site. Not too far from everything. Excellent and friendly staff. Beautiful gardens and wildlife. Birds well cared for. Lovely back story. Great little place to relax and a nice afternoon out

wonderful, family friendly place! It was a lot of fun for everyone! Would highly recommend this attraction! loved the fact that we could rent a golf cart, due to a handicap person in our group. The golf cart driver narrated the tour for us, and was very informative! Feeding the birds and holding the baby birds was the highlight of the visit!

Parrot mountain is such a special place and worth the visit. You can tell the birds are happy, well cared for and most importantly loved. The facility is spotless and the food is great!.
Everyone who works there is friendly and clearly love what they do.

This was a great experience for our family! We utilized the golf cart tour due to having two handicapped family members. It was an extra fee but so worth it to have a wonderful guide. Our guide even came down and picked my family up at the car in the parking lot. Our tour guide Charlene was an angel! I would recommend Parrot Mountain to anyone who enjoys and loves animals. The staff were all so friendly and helpful.

We went with family on a vacation and loved getting to feed the birds and have them land on us. Also really enjoyed the Christian relics in the gardens. Will definitely come back with our kids one day!

what a beautiful park and an absolutely amazing experience. to be able to be that up close and personal with the birds was amazing. We will be back for sure!

Great staff, tons of birds, and nice that it is family owned. We got the chance to interact with and hold a few different birds and learn a little about each of them. Charlene helped us out a bunch and was very informative.

It was such a great time. All the birds were out and active. In the holding area we were able to hold multiple birds and feed them. We will be back.

Parrot Mountain is a true paradise. It's a wonderful experience to be able to hold the birds and interact with them. Shar was very informative and told us all the birds were rescues which was nice to know that they had a forever home and we're happy. Everything was spotless. I can't wait to come back.

The birds were fun and beautiful. We did not hear any of them talk this time. Some birds try to bite. We found one friendly parrot who liked to dance and pick at our hat. He was funny. We like the Christian gardens. It is kind of pricey.

I have been here twice. It is a wonderful place to visit to see exotic birds up close and have an opportunity to interact with them.

Charlene was great!!! Very friendly, and educated my whole family on all the birds. I would very much recommend taking your kids and or significant others here!

You climb a picturesque mountain and are surrounded by over 800 parrots, life does not get better than this. With love from Vermont!

A beautiful walk though park. Birds are happy and healthy looking. Definitely will be back. Give yourself extra time you will want to stay longer!
Thank you Shar for your warm welcome.

Visited with my cousin for her birthday and had a wonderful time. From the ticket booth lady and Megan in gift shop, we also ate at the cafe, very tasty. Charlene was AWESOME, with her 23 years of employment, you could tell she LOVES her job. She told us of some of the parrots that were rescued. One named Glitch sadly was dropped on his head by previos owners and had brain damage. The park is great, they also had toucans, and other birds. One black bird, name Zelda, had sots on her head, but turns out they were in the shape of hearts. I had never seen one of those birds before. You can also feed the birds in a couple of sections in the park and get a photo with the birds, which we did.

We have been in Pigeon Forge many times. But this time we found a gem. This place was amazing. The gardens to the birds were wonderful. They let us hold the birds and I loved it. My family so enjoyed all of this. My husband and I took the golf cart tour and I cannot say enough about our guide Terri was just awesome. She made me go see the birds which wouldn't have done. And also took our pictures around the gardens. I cannot say thank you enough.🥰🥰

This was one of the best experiences ever! Had a chance to hold and feed a multitude of parrots and different birds. The cost was reasonable compared to other attractions. Doing the nectar feeding was so much fun. It was worth it. Highly recommend! Approximately 2-4 hours depending on how many people.

This was an awesome experience. So much to do & see. We lost track of time holding & feeding the birds. The bird nursery was fun for my kids because the baby birds were easier to pick up & hold. This place rescues & rehabilitates abandoned birds so we didn't mind spending a little extra to visit this place again. This was our second time at Parrot Mountain & I'm sure it won't be our last

We had a good time here, the birds are super cool and the staff is super friendly. I would highly recommend, even on a rainy day there are enough trees that we were able to walk around and the birds loved the rain.

It was a lot of fun! We enjoyed feeding the parrots and also had them climb up on us! Definitely would recommend a visit if you’re visiting Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge

The views are breathtaking. The interaction is amazing. So well kept. The sanctuary is heavenly.
Well done. We cannot to visit again.

Hubby and I arrived at Parrot Mountain on Friday August 8th. Hubby was not thrilled to be going, but went for me. There is an option for extra charge to use a golf cart with driver which we opted for. The entire experience was wonderful. So many different varieties of birds. There is a nursery where you're able to hold the birds and they are not caged. Although each station has descriptions about the birds our guide was so informative and knowledgeable about each one. Parrot Mountain is so beautiful one can only imagine the vision and commitment the Hollingsworth's had when creating this garden. My hubby enjoyed our time here as much as I did. Suitable for all ages.

This place is amazing. Definitely worth the visit. My kids really enjoyed their time and the staff went above and beyond.

The parrots are very beautiful and there were a lot of other tropical birds. Warning: They do bite. Good staff, very nice

Its beautiful.the cockatoo literally talks with us.and they even repeat our names.and they have a huge collection of exotic birds..love love over.will visit again..and our guide shar she is an excellent lady.described everything in detail.our kids loved her.such nice experience we had..

Went to Parrot Mountain and Gardens today. A perfect day, 70°, sunny. Attraction and 10 out of 10. It was really cool, not crowded, and a lot of personal interactions with exotic birds. They even have a nursery building you can go into and actually handle the young ones.

We had a wonderful time! It was a unique and fun experience. We got to hold baby birds and the kids really enjoyed that. It’s quite hilly but I guess that makes sense since it is parrot MOUNTAIN. Lol We really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend! Baby strollers and wheel chair accessible mostly. Just be prepared to push uphill and down hill the majority of the time but it’s all paved walkways. Overall, as a family of 6 adults and one 5 and 1 yr old (baby stroller passenger) we enjoyed it thoroughly. Will be going back on our next trip to the mountains!

Had a great time! Amazing numbers of birds and you could spend as much time as you wanted holding and feeding parrots and cocktails. The staff were really friendly, and the grounds were very well maintained.

Loved then beautiful birds and enjoyed feeding them and the birds that loved the nectar...they landed on my head and all over my body.
The sanctuary was gorgeous with all kinds of colorful flowers.
The staff was very friendly!
Enjoyed the whole experience.

We thought we could get through it faster than the recommended 2-3 hours, but with all the interactions with the birds, expect to take that long! You can't help but get absorbed. They're well taken care of, with plenty of room in their cages, including high up if they like. They recognize their keeper and get excited when he comes by. The paths are well maintained and walkable. Accessible. The whole place winds around the forest and is mostly shaded. There is a part where you get to feed nectar to the Loris. They come swarming and gently land on your hands, head, shoulders, and make short work of your little cup of nectar! Then on to the next person! Many nice things in the gift shop, including food, and the restrooms are clean and roomy if you have children. Kid friendly, wish I had some to bring! Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Must see, even if you're not into tropical birds, you'll still enjoy it!

The golf cart tour is worth every penny. Ms Terri our tour guide was wonderful. She went over and above to make sure we had a great time!!!

The parrots were so cute and fun to hold!😍 This was five star! Our tour guide Shar was so amazing and made the whole trip very entertaining. Highly recommend the guided tour!

MUST see! LOTS of ACTIVE parrots & birds! This is an outside attraction with LOTS of parrots and birds either out in the open on their perches or in a cage. The birds are ACTIVE and entertaining to observe. There are (2) spots where you can interact with/hold the parrots and birds, all included with the admission price. At these (2) spots there are employees there to assist you and to answer any questions you have. Also, one of these spots is called the "nursery" where it houses baby parrots and birds that you can purchase! The "nursery" is the only indoor part of the attraction. There is (1) spot where you can feed the birds nectar right out of your hand! It costs $3 for one small container of nectar and you purchase that at the entrance. We bought our daughter (1) container and my husband and I got to come in the bird house where she fed them--the birds were perching on me and I didn't have any food. Very cool experience for my daughter (and my husband and I). We did notice that some of the younger kids were scared when the birds would flock for them. We spent 4 hours there but we like to take our time 😁

We had a wonderful time at our visit to Parrot Mountain. It was hard to pry our 6 year old away. He absolutely loved getting to hold & feed the birds. Sharlene was amazing. She took time to teach him about some of the different birds they have, as well as got them to talk (something he hoped to hear). We have already recommended this place to several friends & plan to visit again the next time we are in east TN.

This is a fabulous entertaining and interactive experience! The birds are beautiful and some right out in the opened. Definitely spend $3 more to feed the birds! It made our day to interact with them like we did.

This was one of my family’s favorite things we have done and we have been coming for years Shar took us on a golf cart which we rented there and gave us a tour of the beautiful place and you can see how much these birds are taken care of and how much she loves these guys I would highly recommend Parrot Mountain

My husband and I went here during our extended weekend to the smokys! The road getting there was under some construction and the actual drive way was kinda steep. The parking lot is on the side of a mountain to it is sloped-keep this in mind is you have strollers or elders!
For it still being a small attraction I personally thought it was a bit pricey, other than that we had a blast.
Interacting with the birds was so much fun!

Went to Parrot mountain with a friend. The parking lot is steep to walk up to entrance.there were parrots perched as you enter .we loved the tropical flower's the cleanliness of the place we also love the fact that it is Christian based we love the prayer Garden the fountain and that they had Biblical verses throughout the gardens it was good to see this especially in times that we are living in we loved getting to interact with all the birds getting to hold them feed them touch them it was very exciting I'm 63 years old and enjoyed it tremendously having to pay extra to get your pictures done 30 to $50 I thought was a little steep but it was a once in a lifetime experience to get to hold all the different birds and have them put on you to get your pictures taken and I know that money goes towards buying food feeding care for the birds and the upkeep on the grounds so I didn't mind that I would highly recommend especially if you have children I am hoping to take my grandkids back next year when we go no matter your age you will enjoy it I highly recommend it if you're in the area there are singing birds dancing birds talking birds whistling Birds

This is hands down the best field trip I have ever taken my first graders on. We got to interact with and even hold several birds. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens and scripture throughout the park. We had recently studied the Creation story in our Bible class, and I was pleased to see Bible verses that we read during that lesson as we walked through the park. Sharlene and her staff made us feel welcome and were helpful with anything we needed. It was an excellent experience.

This was the highlight of our trip this year. Terry was a terrific tour guide & golf cart driver as well as photographer. And we all LOVED when we could interact with the birds, feeding and petting them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Parrot Mountain!!!

I never considered myself a bird person until I visited Parrot Mountain, where I quickly realized how majestic these creatures are! My husband and I spent a couple of hours observing and interacting with the beautiful birds. There are two locations where you can feed and hold various types of birds. However, I should note that visitors with mobility issues may encounter difficulties with the steep inclines and steps.

It was a very nice experience. Very clean. Handicap accessible. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Beautiful birds. Pretty gardens.

Awesome place. Lots of exotic birds to see. You are able to touch and handle lots of birds. We spent a few hours there. Staff is great and want you to interact with birds. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing!! The birds are absolutely beautiful!! Well taken care of!!! We look forward to coming here every year. My grandaughter had a great time feeding the birds and holding the birds!! Thank you for providing a wonderful family environment for everyone!!

You can’t help but love this place. We enjoyed it immensely. It’s beautiful, seeing and holding birds is so fun! The owners have done such a magnificent job putting this together and we appreciate the Scriptures throughout the park. It’s a definite must to see and experience for those coming to Pigeon Forge.

I am absolutely blown away by this place. My other half told me about it and we decided to go for his birthday. He’s a bird person, I am not because I never had any experience with them in the past.
The grounds and landscape of Parrot Mountain was BEAUTIFUL. The prayer gardens made me feel like I was in a totally different place. Absolutely breathtaking, I can’t express that enough. Stunning and IYKYK.
We were lucky enough to have Shar walk with us. She ran the place and knew everything about every bird. She took the time to handle the birds with us, answer questions, and got them to talk and play with us. You were able to hold the birds and pet them and I never handled birds before so I was uncertain with how I would feel. But I felt so comfortable with them and had the best time.
Everyone who works here are friendly and incredible. You MUST PAY THE EXTRA FEW DOLLARS TO FEED THE BIRDS. They fly all over you and it was hilarious. Trust me on this!! And bring quarters for the feed machines.
I can’t wait to go back. It probably is my new favorite place. Book your trip and bring your camera. You’re going to love it.
And thank you, Shar!!! You were the absolute best!!

Shar was our tour guide and boy was she fantastic! So informative and got all the birds happily coming to her. Very steep walking but you can rent a golf cart and guide (highly recommend).

Parrot Mountain is a MUST do when in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. It was so much fun and so neat how everything is laid out. When you pull in there’s birds right there out in the open on their perch. The price is completely worth it. Pay the extra to feed the birds! And bring quarters with you to get bird seed to feed the other birds and hold them! Don’t spend the money to have them take a souvenir picture though. Just take them yourselves. Such a cool experience! There’s also a picnic area if you want to take a lunch or buy food there (although that’s kinda expensive) and there’s beautiful benches and gardens. It’s a little hilly but like other reviews have said, you stop a lot so it’s not bad. Bring walking shoes though.

Climbing the mountain is interesting to say the least. Had a great time feeding and holding lots of birds. I could have spent all day here. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They are also very friendly. I would love to go back.

This place was amazing. They have so much to see and you get to feed the bird near the end of it. The staff were great as well. Highly recommend 👌 we will definitely be going back

it was so fun! the service was amazing and its always cool and shady even on hot days. the birds are very friendly and love to sit on your hands while get feed sunflower seed! this was my second time at parrot mountain and i will definitely become again in the near future!

Wonderful experience for all ages! Our 7 year old granddaughter was thrilled with the birds sitting on and climbing up her arm. Be sure to feed the Lori birds (you’ll be surprised!) and check out the birds in the nursery! Staff were polite and helpful. We ate lunch at the deli in the gift shop. The hamburger and French fries were delicious!

This was the highlight of our trip. The whole family enjoyed the experience. Thank you for a great experience. Staff was awesome.

Most amazing place on earth!! Open interaction with the birds awesome variety of species incredible experience knowledgeable, and friendly staff

We opted for the golf cart tour due to mobility issues and its all up and down hill. It was $60 on top of the regular price ticket. We also opted to buy the cups if food to feed the parrots. Edward was a great guide! He stopped along the way so we could get out and take pictures, hold the baby parrots and told us that for 25 cents we could feed and hold the Macaws! We also bought a family picture magnet holding several birds. Great experience! As we were leaving, I was having trouble navigating the down hill path to the car. Char, one of the golf cart tour guides offered us a ride. I was SOOO greatful! What a blessing she was for offering. Very friendly and drove us right to our car! Thank you so much Char and Edward for making our experience so great!

My family (including our 3-year-old) and I visited Parrot Mountain (AT the Island) while on vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN, coming from Atlanta. We stopped by the store at the Margaritaville Shopping Village, and it seemed like a fun way to get some family photos with the beautiful parrots.
However, things quickly went downhill. We were told to stand and take pictures with the birds, but there was no guidance on how or where to position ourselves. We weren’t given any direction, and it left us feeling unsure of how to properly interact with the birds for a good shot.
When we received the printed photo, there was no heading, no location description, and no personal touch. I asked if we could retake the photo, but the staff member was dismissive and said I’d need to pay $40 for another one. I was very disappointed with the lack of care or attention to our concerns.
While Parrot Mountain itself is a great concept and could be a wonderful experience, the poor customer service we received completely overshadowed the visit. I hope the management will address this issue to improve the overall experience for future visitors.

Absolutely amazing a real blessing the staff was amazing. So many beautiful birds!! Shaded and cool areas with plenty of rest areas. You can feed and hold birds and walk through a sanctuary.

We love it. Such a great family experience. Shan was very nice and helped our children to hold and pet the birds. We will be back again!

This is a hidden gem! Very clean, organized. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat but good was available. For the entire family!

Parrot Mountain was easily the best activity that we did on our trip to the Gatlinburg area! There are live birds everywhere and many of them talk. They have a large area of birds on a perch just waiting for their turn at sitting on your arm or shoulder. I had a bird visiting on me for probably 10 minutes or so. You can also buy food for them but they didn’t seem hungry when I was there. The bird nursery was really fun too. There the birds are learning how to interact with humans. The whole walk through the park was beautiful too! Go!

So many birds to see and hold. It was so much fun! The staff was excellent! Worth every penny! We would definitely come back.

This place is hands down beautiful! I love everything about it! It's like heaven on earth! Wonderful staff and beautiful brids! Definitely going to come back really soon!!!

We absolutely loved Parrot Mountain!! So many beautiful parrots and other exotic birds. All rescues. They are beautiful to see and some you can interact with. The gardens are beautiful too. It’s a great time!

This is the most unexpected beauty and opportunity to interact with the birds. The garden was absolutely peaceful and lush…and the birds a delight. Giving God the glory in the scripture plaques and recognizing our Lord was awesome!!!!

High above the hustle, bustle, noise, congestion of Gatlinburg and and Pigeon Forge, sits this hidden gem. After spending a fortune in the tourist traps, I convinced everyone to visit Parrot Mountain. We had such an interesting and enjoyable time. There were 100s of exotic birls. Our 6 year old granddaughter loved holding and feeding the birds. The site is well taken care of, the pens are exceptionally clean. A fun and unique place with beautiful views.

This was an amazing experience, so many birds and very interactive. Beautiful Christian atmosphere. Our new favourite place and somewhere we will recommend to family and friends of all ages in the future.

This is a special place. My son loves birds, and we have visited a number of places to see them over the years. This is by far the best experience we have had anywhere! The birds are incredible. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location itself is absolutely beautiful, and everything is very clean. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Don't skip this one!!

Wow! That’s all I can say about this place! I wanted to go 10 years ago but we didn’t get a chance. This time we went out of our way. We spent over two hours wandering around and interacting with all the birds. This is a fantastic experience! It’s wonderful to get off the beaten track and all the hokey gimmicks on the main drag. Well worth the time!

This was our 2nd Trip to Parrot Mountain and we loved it just as much as we dit the first time. We will definitely visit again!

❤️🙏😂❤️🙏😂❤️😂🙏❤️😂🙏❤️😂🙏Sharlene and staff gave us a wonderful welcome and walk on tour..These Folks are awesome!!!!!!! ❤️😃🙏❤️😃🙏❤️😂🙏❤️😂We will always remember our visit and memories made. Thankful and grateful to all!!!

My husbandand I, our children and their spouses, and our six grandchildren visited Parrot Mountain and Gardens on 06/06/25 during our yearly family vacation. We had a great time. The scripture and biblical displays throughout the tour appropriately drew the focus to Jehovah God/Jesus Christ/ Holy Spirit; 3 in 1 Creator of the universe. The gardens and birds were beautiful, and the information provided with each display was so interesting. The ability to interact with some of the birds was wonderful for the adults and the children. Many thanks to everyone involved in providing such an exceptional family-friendly experience.

Had a wonderful time visiting Parrot Mountain. So many beautiful and colorful species of birds and information given about the birds. Some of them are really funny and wouldn't even like to dance.
Special thanks to Terri I took special care of me due to a handicap. She was absolutely wonderful and I felt as though she gave that special attention without even being asked. Thank you Terri.

Parrot Mountain is aptly named. There are parrots (gorgeous, healthy-looking, beautiful birds) and it is on a mountain. The drive there from Pigeon Forge was scary, as you are on twisty, hilly, narrow two way roads, often with a sheer drop on one side. The parrot sanctuary itself is hilly and in places is very steep. It was well worth the visit and I am glad we went. The grounds are lovely, and it was wonderful to see the birds.

The birds are amazing and the staff is so accommodating and polite. We had a senior citizen with us that had had surgery prior to our visit, and Shar offered a ride in their golf cart. Everybody was nice and helped us navigate the park with a toddler. Will definitely come back!

The birds were so bright and the staff very friendly and helpful!! I even got to snuggle with one of the cockatoos!! Great experience!! The birds do scream at you sometimes though! They are a lot like toddlers!

It was a beautiful setting. Loved the Bible verses throughout. Interacting with the birds and just seeing them out in the open was amazing. Getting to hold them was awesome. Would definitely go again.

Shar was so informal about the birds I had no clue they can live to 70! She also let my son pet some! I would absolutely recommend this family experience!!

An absolutely beautiful experience! The birds talk back and interact with you, making the visit feel truly magical. Their collection of exotic birds is stunning—an absolute must-see.
A heartfelt thank you to our guide, Shar. She was kind, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made us feel at ease from the start, took great care of my parents, and guided us through everything with warmth and clarity. I truly appreciated her presence and energy throughout the visit.
We had a wonderful time and would genuinely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and well-curated experience.

Had a fantastic time. You get to be very interactive with the birds. Absolutely loved it! Would go back in a minute. The $3 feeding the birds they ask if you’d like to do at admission is 10000% worth it. You get to feed these little birds nectar and it’s an awesome experience!

This was my favorite place to go on our trip, the Parrot Mountain. We had never been there and Charlene Powell was our host and showed us all the birds and we had a blast. I would recommend this to everyone. The birds were so beautiful and fascinating. It was amazing. We will go back again.

Beautiful birds and gardens! Fun to hold and interact with the birds! 8 year old daughter loved the bird nursery. Would go again!

The place was very nice and shady so nothing was too hot. Me and my boyfriend along with my stepdad fed and held the birds. Some were aggressive due to kids being overwhelming for the birds. But overall was fun for all of us and we all had a blast and we got to bond and hold lots of the birds. A lady was even kind enough to give me and my mom who are both disabled a ride back to our car. All the staff were awesome and so kind. I walked into a cage to feed these birds and they all came flying immediately and one bird just sat on my head the whole time. I recommend going here if you are a bird lover like me.

Wonderful experience !! We loved it!! It was so nice and the birds were so beautiful !! So amazing to learn about all of them. It was fun for them to come and get on your shoulder.

We had an amazing time getting to see all of the birds. The staff was very welcoming and really helped make the experience great! One of our favorite spots to visit every time we come down. Wouldn’t miss it!

Absolutely loved it here, being able to interact with some of the birds as well as being able to see the large variety of parrots.

Our guide, Shar, was excellent and very friendly. We're glad we opted for the golf cart tour as Grandma was having difficulty on the hills. Shar was very knowledgeable and helpful with interacting with the birds. Looking forward to coming again and telling all our friends about this wonderful place.

I’m not impressed with most of the tourist traps in Pigeon Forge. I really like this venue. It serves to take in abused and orphaned birds and you get a chance to talk to and pet critters.

Great experience & in a gorgeous location. We visited in October 2024 and there were lots and lots of Mums of all colors and pumpkins galore. Lots of trees, too. It was beautiful & the birds were more stunning than we imagined, although we had viewed lots of photos prior. Nothing compares to seeing these gorgeous, vibrant birds in color and being able to hold soooo many of them was amazing. He held large tropical birds and medium ones and small ones. The kids loved it (age 5 & 10) and a few of the birds talked and some were hilarious on the backside of the park. They were in the big huge cages. they were white and fairly large and they were hilarious and they did not want us to leave and every time we would walk away they would make noises and then we would walk back over and then they would talk some more but basically they were happy that we were back. It was so funny and they are so intelligent. Thanks for a great experience!

This was such a special afternoon. The birds were very interesting and highly entertaining. So many highlights. The bouncing cockatoo. Feeding the birds and letting them sit on our hands and shoulders. But my very favorite was feeding the lorikeets. Don't miss this chance, which costs an extra $3. You get a cup of nectar to take into the lorikeet aviary. They know you're entering with food, and they swarm you. I had one on my head, one on my shoulder, and three immediately on the hand holding the nectar. This experience was pure joy. Then there was the bird nursery.
Just be aware that this is in fact a "mountain". We thought this would be a good activity for my parents, but my 84-year-old father struggled with the terrain, which is steep. Other than that, this was a perfect way to spend an afternoon and one of the highlights of our time in Gatlinburg.

Great place to spend the day with family and friends. Our crew was mainly seniors but they truly enjoyed the birds and the gardens. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved feeding the birds and talking to them. We have visited a few times with different ages and it never disappoints!

Amazing place some birds seem to be injured or abused because of no plumage in some places but after talking with a staff member most of the parrots are rescues from abusing or elderly owners 10/10 experience would come a third time!

The birds at Parrot Mountain are such beautiful creatures. The atmosphere is so peaceful. We really enjoyed getting to feed & interact with the birds. The staff is so friendlty, especially Terri, who made pur memories even better.

This was a great place to see all types of birds. The most enjoyable part was seeing all the young birds in the nursery. The staff keeps very good care of the birds there.

We had a wonderful time at parrot mountain...our girl loved holding the beautiful birds. The staff was very knowledgeable about the bird. We would 100% recommend

We loved Parrot Mountain. Could not ask for friendlier, more helpful staff. Very unique experience with lots of great photo opportunities. Don't miss this one when in Pigeon Forge.

Worth every penny! What a great experience! It was a beautiful place with alot of different kinds of birds. The birds were friendly.

Shar was our driver. But she was so much more. Friendly, informative, beyond helpful. Shar"s attitude made our trip to parrot mountain so worth it.

This is my happy place! The birds are beautiful and keep me smiling. The amazing, friendly staff are always on their A game (shout out to Shar for being the best of the best!)

loved it, interactive, peaceful, beautiful christian scenery, Georgia was very helpful with instructions, the nursey was fun and attendant was very nice. hWish the gift shop sold totes . Read the signs regarding whp can be feed and who cannot, and attendant can break a $20, use machine for coins, and make sure coins are facing heads up in "gumball" machines for feed.

This was my first trip to Parrot Mountain March 2025. I would highly recommend you to visit this place. It’s like walking into a paradise of beautiful Parrots from all over the world of every color! We were able to experience holding the birds on our arm. We stopped in the souvenir shop and made a purchase and then We got the homemade hamburger and onion rings that were so delicious. I love this place and would like to come back with my kids and grandkids. they would really enjoy this place.

Awesome. For the whole family. Young and old will not be disappointed. One of the best attraction in pegion forge. Loved by all.

Interesting compact serene facility. Birds well cared for and beautiful. You drive up some incredibly steep private paved roads. Space for RV or weaker vehicles below and golf cart drivers will come get you.

Our school went on a field trip to Parrot Mountain. It was awesome, and the students loved it. I want to give out a big shout out to Sharlene who went way beyond to see that the students had a wonderful time. Also, to Madison who was so helpful. I would definitely recommend Parrot Mountain. WOW!!! This was an incredible experience on our vacation to the Smoky Mountains !! First time to visit and I was not sure what to expect . The entire experience of Parrot Mountain was surreal and breathtaking ! Upon arriving you see the parrots perched and waiting to welcome you . The new trails are being constructed but we enjoyed the current trails . Every parrot and bird we encountered was BEAUTIFUL ! We interacted and fed them and I was shocked how tame and loving they were as we held them ! We were touched by all the stories of how the parrots arrive and how well kept and cared for in this sanctuary . We were there the first week it opened so I missed seeing all the flowers in bloom . We will be back next year hopefully a little later in spring to see all the beauty surrounding these magnificent birds ! I with I could have taken one home …maybe next time from the nursery ! I HIGHLY recommend this gem in Sevierville right next to Dollywood ! Thank you for the highlight to our vacation !!

March 2025

Highly recommend. A lot of fun seeing all the colorful birds, holding and feeding some as well. There are some that talk too! It was a very enjoyable experience.

What an amazing day! My daughter and I had a great time. The birds are amazing, the staff is very helpful and friendly, everything is clean, and the food is delicious. We are very thankful for such a special day!!

Parrot Mountain was awesome!!! So much more there than I expected. We had a group of all different ages and everyone had a great time. This is a must stop on your trip. You will not be disappointed. They even have accommodations for those that have difficulty walking through the park.

Wow can’t emphasize how great this experience was with the help of Maria (super kid friendly and helpful!!) also William who helped guide us with feeding the birds. Great experience for children and even us parents had too much fun!! Thank you Maria and William!!

A great experience! We were able to take our toddler in a stroller. We loved seeing, feeding, and holding the birds. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the birds and about handling them. The prayer walk was amazing! The gardens are beautiful!! We will definitely visit again!!

We had the best visit! My favorite part of visiting Pigeon Forge for sure. So many beautiful birds and my family and I got to pet some of them and feed them. We had the most wonderful tour guide (if you choose to have one) and the staff was so amazing with my special needs daughter, praising her for being brave and even bringing down a huge parrot close to her for her to pet. We got an amazing picture at the end of the visit as well. So peaceful and well worth the money. I was told that we chose a good time to visit in November because December is crazy busy.

My husband went for our anniversary today and were blown away at how beautiful it was. Tastefully designed and it is obvious that the birds are all extremely loved and well taken care of. I was appreciative of how polite the staff were and their attentiveness to them and their well being. Feeding and petting the wildlife was my favorite part! Never in my life did I think I’d be able to have an experience like this - thank you!

We got a cart since some of our family has trouble walking. Our driver Kelly was AMAZING! He was so patient with the kids walking with us and very knowledgeable about all the parrots. It was such a fun and amazing experience. We will be back!

We visited Parrot Mountain and Gardens during our trip. This place is built in a mountainous area that has been developed into a beautiful parrot park. Because of the natural terrain, the slopes are quite steep, which makes it challenging for people with mobility issues.
Nevertheless, the staff went out of their way to help those who needed assistance. In particular, one of the employees, SHAK, voluntarily and kindly supported us so that we felt no inconvenience at all.
I believe the best kind of service is exactly this—when people genuinely care and go above and beyond to help.

This is an amazing place to visit. Do pay extra to feed the Lory birds...that was such a fun and unexpected experience. We loved it. The grounds are beautiful and there are so many beautiful birds to view and several you can hold. You will not be disappointed with your visit. Well worth your time and not too costly.

This place is a must see! Beautiful birds, friendly staff, fun feeding the birds, family friendly, peaceful and worth the ticket price. Even the lunch was very good! Would definitely suggest a must do while on vacation!!

We took our 12 year old grandaughter with us. We were all so amazed with the abundance and variety of birds. Lots of shade, but did have some steep walks. Be sure to bring quarters for feed and also purchase the nectar to feed the Lory parakeets. Recommend a long sleeve shirt for birds to perch on your arm. So much fun! We would definitely go back.

Beautiful birds friendly staff we loved every second of it! It was a great interactive experience and it was just the perfect amount of knowledge being given to approach the birds plus the atmosphere where you could explore solo and feel free to talk feed and pet other birds.

Second time here, just as amazing as the first time. This place is reason enough to come to the Gatlinburg area. Cannot recommend it enough.

Our family absolutely loves this place! We’ve been multiple times and it never disappoints! We all love the hands on experience and the beautiful gardens. A must do if you’re visiting Gatlinburg! Shout out to Sharlene! She's so knowledgeable and friendly! She really made it a once and a life time experience for our two young boys!

We had the best time visiting Parrot Mountain! The birds were absolutely amazing — so colorful, friendly, and fun to interact with. I totally fell in love with Bruce and wanted to take him home! 🦜
A special shoutout to Shar, who cooked us the most delicious homemade burgers and fries — it really made the visit even more special. Everything about this place felt warm, welcoming, and full of love for the animals.
If you’re anywhere near the area, you have to stop by Parrot Mountain. It’s an unforgettable experience for all ages! ❤️

We love Parrot Mountain! We go to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area every year for vacation and this is a MUST! The birds are spectacular and the kids love feeding them!

Had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing day and enjoy the beautiful birds.

Shar was absolutely incredible!! She made sure that our 4 year old daughter enjoyed her time and got to hold some beautiful birds that didn’t bite/were sweet. She also made sure that we got our picture retaken after there was a technical difficulty with the camera. Highly recommend this place & we will definitely be back!

This place was ever better than I expected from the brochures. There was a really nice area with dozens of birds to interact with. The staff was friendly and helpful and you can spent hours interacting with the birds. There was even an area with baby birds which you could hold too. There were signs for some birds that could not be handled because they aren’t friendly but most birds could be handled. We took so many pictures and videos. The facility is on a mountainside and was totally in the shade which helped on a very sunny day. One piece of advice- if you pay extra to do the feeding area, you may get pooped on. My daughter did and so did many others. We may skip that part next time. Overall, it was a perfect day! We will return.

Highly interactive, hands-on, and fun! This is much better than just viewing animals at a zoo and better than the Parrot Mountain website suggests.

A very attentive and engaging staff. Very much enjoyed the low-key environment and beautiful birds with the ability to get close; especially the interactive baby bird 🦜 exhibit.

Took my 84-year-old mother, a cousin, and close friend to this gorgeous piece of paradise. Many complain about parking on an incline, but the birds make the slight disorientation well worthwhile. It is amazing to be greeted by beautiful tropical birds and see the local wildlife frolic among the foliage. The staff is so friendly and answer the many questions about the beauties you see. Interacting with the birds gives you a new outlook on life and a taste of what Eden must have truly been like. The cafe serves amazing fresh food, never frozen. We felt like we made friends for life, both feathered and flesh.

Such a fun and informative experience. We had a person in our group with limited mobility so we did a guided golf cart tour. Our guide Shar was absolutely amazing! She added so much to the tour because she knew the birds so well. 100% recommend!

Coolest place EVER!!! I’m a bird lover and I adore this place and their mission. There is so much they offer, feeding the birds with sugar water, feeding the rescue birds (some have to gain trust with you), visiting the baby birds and holding them as well as viewing birds from around the world. The staff is very friendly and love what they do. I will definitely return and when I’m ready to purchase a bird, I will buy from them. The babies are well socialized and some are already trained to know the basics (which is very helpful).
Thank you Parrot Mountain, for an AMAZING experience!

Parrot Mountain was amazing! This was a a great experience viewing the different types of birds. Terry was very knowledgeable in all of the birds we saw telling us their ages and names. Seeing the baby birds and being able to hold them was a one time experience. Then going in and being able to see and hold the parrots and and cockatoos. This is a must time experience for every family. Thank you for a great experience!

My family and I went to Parrot Mountain for the first time the first weekend in September. Not only were we blown away by the cleanliness of the facility and the fact that they take good care of their birds, but we had interactions with 4 staff members that really enhanced our experience. We will start with Drew- he made our picture taking experience exceptional. Especially, after we didn't know we were supposed to have an extra ticket after purchasing the picture package. He engaged my niece and nephews and helped us take one of the best photos we've ever taken as a family. Next, Georgia. She is such a sweet and wonderful asset to Parrot Mountain. She helped me and my husband take an amazing picture while we were feeding the Lorikeets. Her helpfulness and just amazing personality was wonderful. Taylor was amazing in the baby bird room. We had so many questions as we are planning on adding a bird to our family. He was helpful and patient. Finally, Kat. She needs a raise after speaking with us. We peppered her with so many questions about the birds and their habits. She took every question in stride and even helped us position ourselves in a non-threatening way to the birds so they felt safe to hop on our arms. She allowed us to have an exceptional experience and in a way that was non-intrusive to the birds. Honestly, all of four of them made our trip extra phenomenal and we cannot wait until our next one.

This is such a special place. The entry where you can hold the birds, the section where you can feed them nectar and they sit all over you and the baby birds. This is a wonderful experience for adults and children. A Christian owned and there to show God's beauty of creation through parrots, mccaws, perokeets, etc. We chose to ride through because of my husband's walking issues. Terry was beyond excellent. Thank you Terry. God Bless You.

very good place, shar was are tour guide great person, parrots were so cool, love it so much would go back definitely, yay!

Shar is THE MOST AMAZING LADY!! The best to talk to about the birds and to talk to in general she has an easy going attitude and personality made coming there so worth it.

The coolest experience we have ever done!! Holding and petting all of the birds was a true one of a kind experience. We will be back every fall break!!
Shar was a gem and the best with helping our 7 year old hold all of the birds he wanted!! She makes Parrot Mountain so much better than it already is! God bless her and PM!

So much fun! Really a precious gem in the Great Smoky Mountains. Every time we go it is a different experience and it has never been a bad experience. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing (esp the burgers). Guarantee you will have a favorite bird by the time you leave. We usually get pictures but because of inflation and recession it was too much to spend money on. It would have been nice to have the family picture that we always got before. However, I have a bunch of really sweet natural pictures with everyone’s enjoyment. We we surprised to see the growth and it had a lot of beautiful view and we cannot wait to see it finished. Kids have a special area with birds with small bills. We enjoyed that area a lot. And a bigger area to feed and hold larger birds. At end of the journey they have a bird nursery. So much fun!!!

Oh my gosh fantastic! Beautiful, well maintained environment for the birds. Absolutely great way to spend part of your day.

The best place to visit in Pigeon Forge! Wonderful, Beautiful, Amazing are just a few words to describe this place! Highly recommend this a stop when visiting Pigeon Forge area!

We took my family during fall break. My mom is disabled so we rented a golf cart and had the most amazing experience with the driver. Her name was Terry. She was very knowledgeable and gave us the history and info on many of the different birds that live there. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend it and plan on returning!

It was heartbreaking to see birds stressed, missing feathers, shaking constantly… I just can’t believe this is even legal. The birds deserve better than an overcrowded stressful environment. We also saw Tucanos in plastic boxes that were way too small and we were wondering how were they not hurting staying in there! It is just so not right!

Amazing staff, beautiful birds. The staff are all so friendly! You can hold a variety of birds and feed them seeds from the quarter machine. You can also pay extra at th3 gate to go into the parrot enclosure and they all swarm to you and eat from the cups. We had a fantastic time. It was around 150 for 3 adults 2 kids and 2 feed tickets. You don't have to buy the tickets just to feed the birds, there's a free area and you use quarters. We'll be coming back every year!

The birds were amazing, they were so beautiful and looked very healthy. Their enclosures were very clean and they had toys and things to be entertaining for the birds. We fed and held different birds and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Awesome experience. Fed and held many parrots. The staff went out of there way to help us with the hilly terrain. We were both near 80 and found it hard to walk up the hill to the entrance. They drove a golf card down to our car and gave us a ride to the ticket booth. On the way out they took us to back to our car. Can't thank them enough.

This a great facility to see and learn about Parrots! The employees are knowledgeable and so nice and really take the time to talk and explain...even the maintenance workers catching birds explained what they were doing and why! Shar was amazing to give detailed stories of the birds! The babies in the nursery are amazing!

From the moment we got there, we were very excited. The grounds were beautiful amd maintained to perfection. The staff was very informative and attentive. We were surprised to learn that all of their birds are rescues from all over the world, which is absolitley amazing! Interacting with the birds was the best! They each had their own personality! I definately recommend coming here if you ate in the area!

From start to finish this tour was amazing! Everybody was as nice as they could be, and there are more birds than you can imagine!

This place is so beautiful! The birds were spectacular. We took three grandchildren-ages 2,5,6 and they loved it. Every location had beautiful birds. They had 3 different opportunities to interact with birds. Perfect field trip with Mamaw and Papaw!

Great place with lots of interactions with several birds. Everyone was helpful with my daughter and I, whether it be questions or assistance with the birds. This is a neat little sanctuary that I recommend visiting while in the area!

This is a must see for kids and adults. The birds and gardens are fabulous and well kept. My husband and I were amazed at all the birds.

Beautiful! Beautiful gardens. Beautiful birds. Scripture throughout. Loved it!!
Owners were so nice! Out of all the times we have been to the mountains, I can’t believe we haven’t been here before. Don’t pass this place up!

All the Birds are so Beautiful!! The workers were very nice! The Lady that gave us a ride on the golf cart was very nice!!God Bless !!

Parrot mountain is heaven on earth! We go every year! Everyone is so friendly and the birds are amazing to see! Not expensive. Everyone needs to take time to visit! You won’t be disappointed!

Truly amazing experience and worth every penny! This is one of the coolest things we’ve done in a long time. We had so much fun feeding the birds we went back and bought more nectar so we could do it a second time and record it on video. Highly recommend!!

We highly recommend this place. The tour guide was amazing! So informative and kind. The birds are so colorful. We learned so much. We also got to hold so many beautiful birds. The prayer garden was wonderful. Gorgeous foliage everywhere.

Had a great time loved holding and interacting with the birds!!! From babies to adults we experienced it all. Staff was super informative!

We took my 63 year old mom here who had a massive stroke 3 years ago. We met Shar who works there and she stepped in and took us around the grounds in a golf cart and was so informative and helpful! She definitely went above and beyond for us and is very knowledgeable on all the different birds that reside there! It's so beautiful and we thank her so much for allowing us to get our mom through much easier ❤️ Parrot Mountain is amazing as well as all of their staff!

No need for AI to write this review!! As “locals” (Knoxville), I cannot believe it took us a while to discover Parrot Mountain for once we did, we can’t get enough of it!! It is truly like a slice of heaven. We have been multiple times since 2021 and it is magically magnificent every time! Beauty everywhere and so many well-loved and cared for exotic birds including an interactive bird yard and even a bird nursery! The grill restaurant is fantastic and the gift shop has the best tees for souvenirs. Truly a work of art and the heart at Parrot Mountain. Reasonably priced too and we stay for hours! A+ Also, they continue to reinvest in their grounds and experience with new expansions every time we visit. This is a not-to-miss experience. Look for Georgie the Cockatoo!

Loved every minute spent loving on the birds. We're locals and this is our favorite place to play tourists. Highly recommend!

We loved every single minute of it!!! Sharlene was awesome and we will never forget this experience. Our 13 and 3 year old boys also had the best time!

Wonderful place. Absolutely amazing 🥰🇺🇸🙏💙 would go back every time in Pigeon Forge a super place definitely recommend

This place is more than I could have ever imagined. We loved every minute of it. It truly is a gift from God. We laughed and laughed with the things the birds would do.

It’s a pleasant surprise! Feels and looks like a tropical storybook jungle. Numerous birds to look at, hold, and/or feed. Well maintained landscape, friendly employees (Shar) and relaxing atmosphere.

Great place! Lovely walking paths through the unique bird habitats. Two bird feeding opportunities. Baby bird nursery. Clean , well kept and healthy birds.

We had a wonderful experience. We had a wonderful tour guide. The lady's name was Terry that gave us the tour guide. She was so sweet and told us a bunch of info on the birds and parrot mountain. I highly recommend going there! Thanks 😁 we will be back!

Our guide, Shar took us all over, knowing the birds and their histories. Loved interacting with the birds. Shar saved our 90 year old mom from walking the hills in the heat. She made it a great experience for all of us.

Amazing place! Beautiful surroundings and 750+ rescued birds of many varieties that you can interact with or just look at. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff who made the experience even better. Also serve great hamburgers!

Absolutely a must see in Pigeon Forge! The staff is super friendly very helpful with those stubborn birds and very knowledgeable when asking questions. I definitely recommend if you are a bird person to go see them!

The 5 of us included grandparents, a mom and two young teens. We each enjoyed in immensely. Holding the birds up close and feeding them was unforgettable. We highly recommend Parrot Mountain!

This is one of my favorite attractions in Tennessee. We visited for vacation and it was awesome. You can feed the birds, get pictures done with them, and hold them! There’s another activity to where you walk in an area and the birds all fly to / on you. Very cool and they’re BEAUTIFUL. It’s also a very beautiful place. I’ll be here again! And the staff were extremely nice. :)

Went with family on a beautiful day in October. The birds were wonderful, the fall decorations were amazing. Lots of hills to climb so not ideal for people with mobility issues.

Not a good place if you actually want help holding birds. I didn’t catch the name of the employee who “helped” me. I thought I heard someone call her Kat or Kate or something. She seemed too busy talking to her coworkers about the customers. I asked for help and she rolled her eyes at me! Don’t recommend if you actually don’t know how to hold the birds and would appreciate some help. The birds were fun but she ruined the experience

We came 10-15 years ago and the place has expanded and gotten better. It seems these birds have been rescued and are well taken care of. We enjoyed the interaction with the birds, holding, and feeding them.
The staff were very helpful, especially Shar, who let our granddaughter hear several of the birds speak to us, and Teri, who assisted with a ride back down to the car!
Everything was well maintained.
We also enjoyed the recognition of God’s goodness, the Biblical statuary, and verses!

So many beautiful birds! You can feed them if you want, get your picture taken also. A nice walk around seeing so many different kinds of birds! Some very unique! Our favorite was the babies room! You can pet and hold all the sweet babies! Place was well taken care of! I took hundreds of pictures!

Got to get close with birds and parrots! Some of the birds talk and each one of them have their own unique personality. They have a nursery there where
you can hold and purchase birds. This is a very fun and unique experience!

Great time looking at all the different birds. Enjoyed the couple
That spoke to you. Holding the different birds was also a great experience. I would say a bird lovers paradise.

It was awesome . So worth it . You will love it . A great experience. Loved the different kind of birds . Loved being able to feed the birds. Loved the kjv bible verses through out , and the flowers and plants also

We had a great guide named terry. She was very knowledgeable about everything. Thanks terry for being so kind and helping me out.

We had a wonderful morning. The place is truly a paradise. Sharing time with the animals, with the help of their caretakers, was safe and enjoyable. The kindness of all the staff and collaborators made it very special. Thank you so much.

Tucked behind a steep hill just behind Dollywood, lies this amazing hidden gem. The park is promoted by Christians even with a scenic prayer trail. My kids loved feeding the birds, walking in the secret garden and getting to see the baby birds at the very end! There is a secret cockatoo in the very back by the prayer trail in his own cage, and he laughs at you! Oh my goodness this was such a unique experience for the whole family to enjoy. I would highly recommend over everything else you do in Pigeon Forge, this place is a winner.

This place was the best part of being in the Smokey Mountains! Plenty of space, not over crowded, beautiful birds of all kinds, and the best part was getting to interact with them!! Well maintained grounds and gardens and animals well cared for.
We LOVED feeding the little birds the nectar. Best part of being there!
A must see and do if you are an animal/bird lover for sure!

Char was exceptional—thank you, Char!!
A delightful visit! An up close and personal experience with so many wonderful birds. This full sensory adventure includes the pleasure of touching some of the birds. My family loved it and we highly recommend it.

It is a fun place to visit and I enjoyed interacting with the birds, although I couldn't help but feel like the care for them is questionable. The staff was great and fun to talk to, I'm not addressing them. But whoever is the one deciding to keep some of these birds out when they are clearly in extreme stress, shown by picking feathers and some even shaking, must not care about these birds. It's not even just a couple of the birds too. In the feeding area, a good amount of those parrots do not look like they want to be there. If it's that stressful for them, why keep them in the public areas? It's inhumane to put the birds through that when they're clearly terrified. I didn't like the vibe that whoever is running this place is doing it purely for tourism, without care for the mental well-being of the birds. I mean, I found it a bit overstimulating being in the feeding area myself so I can't imagine what it's like for some of the birds that are already freaked out.

My family and I visited Parrot Mountain in November. It was an amazing experience! Such a beautiful place! We especially loved Sharlene! She made our trip so enjoyable. She gave my son extra attention and he loved seeing all the things that she showed him. What an awesome employee! She is the best!

This place is nice when you come. Flowers, birds, water features. But when you truely look at what is going on there it seems like the birds are stressed out! Very expensive to enjoy this outing. If you want pictures, be prepared to spend 40 to 60 dollars. If ur older or overweight and may need a tour which includes a golfcart its 60 dollars more. The owners clearly care more about the money they make then the
(CHRISTIAN ATMOSPHERE) THEY PORTRAY!OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK. YES, THIS PLACE IS OPEN ON SUNDAY. i believe the money means more to them than the health of the birds they say are part of the garden of eden. With that said, who doesnt enjoy looking at exotic birds?

We absolutely loved this place and the experience we had there. Lots of beautiful birds with amazing gardens and greenery. This is something I would love to do again next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. Getting to feed and hold large parrots was so fun. And don’t skip the lorikeet feedings. Staff were friendly and the grounds were very nice. Definitely recommend

We have been going here since they opened and it just keeps getting better! This was our 10th visit and Charlene and her kids are awesome too. William can really get the birds talking loud and if your there ask for him to show you! The staff and owners are very kind and friendly. I would recommend this for all ages. Thanks for the great memories!

Parrot Mountain was a great outing for our family (we have 2 boys, ages 4 and 6). We enjoyed getting to feed and hold so many birds and appreciated the variety of birds and how beautiful the garden was.
The staff could have been more helpful and friendly in getting the bigger birds so we could hold them.
The staff (younger girl) in the feeding cage was not friendly at all to our young children.
I would definitely recommend the experience overall, but it would be a 5/5 if they can get the staff on board to deliver a great experience as well.

Ask for Charlene! Do the golf cart ride and she will tell you all about the birds! She has worked there for 23 years. Her love and dedication to this place radiates off of her.

What a wonderful experience, the birds and gardens are gorgeous. We had so much fun feeding and holding the birds. Be prepared for walking some hilly walkways. Right around the corner from Dollywood. Highly recommend!

We had the best time as a family with our 2 year old little girl! She enjoyed the pumpkins, mums and squirrels as much as the birds. Hands on even at such a young age was wonderful! The grounds are beautifully maintained. Every member of the staff are so friendly. You can tell this is a faith centered environment! Just amazing and we can't wait to go back!
As a note, if you have limited mobility, you would need a motorized chair or scooter. It is hilly throughout. I personally enjoyed the workout.

Terry at the front gate was very polite and extremely helpful. Edward our guide was amazing! He even watched my service dog while I took the 93 year old birthday boy to feed the Loris. Zac, helped us get our pictures and information about the park. We had a great day! I know we'll be back to see you again. He's a bird lover!!

It was absolutely amazing and so much fun. The birds had so much personality and the staff was very knowledgeable and kind.

It was a good time seeing all the birds and being able to feed some of them. The flowers and vegetation are beautiful and well kept. The park itself is very shady so that helps with keeping the sun off. Beware that this park has several steep sidewalks to climb so this may be unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties.

Had an amazing time in this tropical paradise with hundreds of beautiful birds and flowers! Well worth the time. We were impressed.

We brought our grandchildren-ages 3 and 4. They had a fantastic time and were leading the way to each amazing bird. Staff was so friendly and we ate lunch there also. Food was great.

My group had an amazing experience. Those who couldn't walk had a guided golf cart adventure and the staff made sure they got to pet and hold birds just like the rest of the group. SHAR and her assistant were awesome, thoughtful and caring to my whole group especially the elders. A great visit and I'm sure my group would visit again.

The place was amazing. It gets 4 stars because they don't tell you it is not senior or disability friendly. It is a very steep grade. They could also use some more benches to sit on after making the grade. No wheelchairs or scooters should go there but the place and the birds were fantastic!

We were walking in Gatlinburg and was pulled into a shop that had a parrot out front. We went in and got a picture of our son with the birds on him. We bought some souvenirs and as we were leaving, we seen a few bibles on the table, and it said free and as a Christian we thought that is awesome and wanted to leave some positive feedback because you don't see that much anymore. Amen for Christians out there!!

My wife and I just spent a beautiful afternoon on Parrot Mountain. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The grounds were immaculate and very beautiful. We at times felt like we were in the middle of a jungle, but the stars were the beautiful birds that seemed to enjoy interacting with us as much as we did them. Some talked and others danced to show us how much they loved our company. It’s not a strenuous walk but is inclined some. A special shout out to Terri, she was so friendly and informative answering all of our questions. She even gave us a golf cart ride back to our car! We’ve been coming to PF for over 20 years and somehow didn’t even know about Parrot Mountain. Highly recommended!!

We have visited here many times and love it each time! The birds are beautiful, loved and well cared for! Great experience.

I went with my grandmother to Parrot Mountain, and wow, they certainly were not kidding about it being a mountain! Thankfully, we paid for the golf cart tour, which was on another level. Our guide, Char, was absolutely amazing! She was super nice, really knowledgeable about the birds, and just generally on top of things. There was never a dull moment, and I had tons of fun. I took lots of pictures. I think my favorite bird was the black cocatoo in the holding exhibit. Thanks for giving such a great experience!

We saw the signs to Parrot Mountain going to our lodging and discovered it two minutes from where we stayed. What a great discovery! We are amazed at God's creation and were delighted to see the owners of this aviary are as well. The place was beautiful and the birds incredible.

We had a wonderful morning here. So many birds from all over the world living in such a clean natural habitat. Must See!!!

The birds are beautiful and entertaining. They are only one part of the attraction. The whole place is decorated with fall pumpkins, flowers, and gourds making plenty of photo opts. There are beautiful statues , plaques with scriptures and even the Ten Commandments. The elevation can be challenging but the views are worth the climb. There are plenty of benches and seating areas and even picnic area. We just loved it and the birds loved us too.

We spent three hours here! There are birds in large cages, as well as birds on perches all over the park! There’s an area where you can feed and pet the birds and an area where you can pay to feed the Lorakeets some sugar water. I didn’t think it was worth the extra money to feed the Lorakeets. The grounds are beautiful. It was very peaceful. My husband, who walks with a cane, had some balance issues as the terrain was very hilly, but fully paved. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go again!

We had such an amazing time at Parrot Mountain!! The gardens were lush and lovely, and the birds were incredible! The paths are hilly, and the parking lot is on a hill, but there were plenty of places to take a rest while taking in the beautiful surroundings. I have told so many people about our visit and the fun we had. We will absolutely go again!!
Ps. When asked Do you want to feed the lorries nectar, say "Yes!!".

We love Parrot Mountain! It‘s one of our favorite places to visit! We love getting to hold the birds and have our favorite birds that we held last year and were so happy to visit again this year! We plan to come back again and again!

The place was amazing with different parrots & Macon across the globe. Their feeding service to Paarots was great & Sher who works with the birds assisted us multiple times for our family to feed parrots & also letting them on our hand. Multiple birds landed on us multiple times. I definitely recommend this place for people who are visiting for the first time

Always super sweet workers and always nicely answer all of your questions. So cool to see all the different breeds of birds. Our kids have to visit every time we’re in pigeon forge. Multiple times a year.

A must see while traveling through pigeon Forge. We had a wonderful time!!
Highly recommend for all ages. Super friendly staff.

We took our granddaughter to Parrot Mountain and she said it was her favorite place ever!!! The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Shar! The birds were incredible!! So impressed with this place! If you like animals and/or birds you won’t be disappointed.

We have been here 2 different times and enjoyed it both times. So many different species to view. Lots of large birds on perches and many of them whistle or say “hi” or “hello”. The open area where you feed the birds is fun. Each one has a different personality and most really enjoy interacting with the visitors. The Lory parrots are lots of fun to feed as well. They are very friendly and are always good for a good laugh. We liked visiting the nursery as well and interacting with the young birds in there as well.

Parrot Mountain is a gorgeous place with so many beautiful birds. You get to pet, hold, and feed some. My grandkids really enjoyed it.

The staff especially Sharlene were wonderful. Letting us know about the birds history and then showing us what they can do and say. It was amazing. Birds are definitely loved and it shows. We spent so much time there for a reasonable price. They never seem to turn a bird in need away. Its a great way to experience the birds and help with their upkeep and rescue. Highly recommended!

This place is AMAZING!!
The birds are beautiful and so precious and the staff is awesome and very knowledgeable!!
Loved it!!
Awesome place for kids and adults alike!!
Also loved the prayer garden and the beauty in the landscape!!!
We will be back!!! 🥰

I am amazed at more of God's creations in the beauty and intricate details made in each bird species. Thank you for creating a place to observe them all in one place.

The whole family enjoyed our trip to Parrot Mountain. We weren't sure what to expect when we went. Thought we were just going to get to feed some birds. The birds are beautiful and feeding them was fun. The gift shop could use a little revamp. But overall, would recommend this place to people visiting the area.

Parrot Mountain was so much more than I expected. The staff were absolutely incredible, and extremely knowledgeable. We went with my teenage niece’s and I was not expecting them to like it as much as they did.
The grounds involve some steep slopes so wear good walking shoes. For those who need it they do offer a golf cart tour with a guide to take you around the park just call up from the parking lot or plan ahead a day or so, bring your walker or assistance device just for the baby bird nursery where you can hold the young birds and even bring home a new addition if you’d like.
The grounds gardens are stunning and dispersed within are pedestals with bible versus on them. This place seems to be a very faith based business including giving free Bibles out in their gift shop, with that being said I do not believe you have to be religious to enjoy this place.
I can’t thank their staff enough, especially when my oldest niece accidentally threw her retainer away and didn’t notice till we were leaving. The staff helped find the recently changed garbage bag and provided gloves so we could find it, this apparently happens pretty often.
Overall I felt this was a good value for money. We enjoyed ourselves and being out in nature. One of the best values in the Smokey’s for sure, we will absolutely be back!

We had a great time! The views were amazing! Got a lot of pictures! We absolutely loved it! Most serene adventure! A must see while in pigeon forge! Great interaction with the birds! It was all very lovely

This is a must do activity. It makes our top five list of best attractions in Pigeon Forge. We visited when it was still cold and the leaves were not fully on the trees yet...and that place is still beautiful. The array of parrots is incredible and the activities to get up close and actually handle these birds is awesome. You will NOT be disappointed. The drive to get to the park is STEEP, but drivable, so don't be afraid of it. Just put it in first gear and take it easy. You will be fine. Use your parking brake when you park your vehicle. We plan on returning the next time we visit Pigeon Forge, and it will be a regular each time, to be sure.

This place is amazing! They have a large variety of birds and you can spend as much time as you want holding and feeding the birds. I love their mission of providing a safe, clean and loving environment for these rescued birds. They had the place beautifully decorated for fall which made for beautiful pictures! It wasn’t crowded. The staff are all very knowledgeable, kind and helpful (especially with helping you hold the birds making the experience fun). I think anyone would enjoy seeing and holding these birds but if you’re a bird lover this is a must see place to visit! The price was worth it in my opinion especially since your admission is helping in saving these magnificent birds. I’m so glad I added this into my vacation.

We came here on May 10th and it was by far the best money we have ever spent. They are Christian based, which we loved! As soon as you walk in, there are birds everywhere. And the only thing you pay to feed them is a quarter. All different kinds of birds are out in the open for anyone to hold and feed. Charlene was amazing!! She took right up with our daughter and showed her every bird and told her their names and showed her some tricks that they did. This will be a place that we always come to when we make a trip through Pigeon Forge.
Oh and be careful lol we loved it so much we got a bird 😅.

Parrot Mountain is tucked away on a mountain with lovely grounds. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The whole family had an amazing time interacting with the beautiful birds. We will definitely visit again.

It was so beautiful and exceeded my expectations! I would love to work there someday when I retire. Taking care of them and working with the birds would be my dream job!

5 stars isn't nearly enough for this establishment!! I went a few years ago and a few days ago I took a bigger group and went. My mom is handicap and we were able to rent a golf cart and get a tour by the INCREDIBLE Miss. Terry. The birds are so entertaining and friendly. I love everything about this place! It's a MUST SEE! We traveled to Tennessee just to visit!

So glad that I had found this place online listed as a top attraction for the area! HIGHLY recommend, & would go back again in a heartbeat! BEAUTIFUL area, not just the birds, but also the setting with the flowers & grotto areas. I took a ton of short videos, but only one picture. VERY clean, & birds are well cared for. And SO many different birds to look at, with LOTS of opportunities to interact up close & hold them. Loved the Bible verses throughout the park. I was alone, took my time, & spent about 2 hours to see everything. With young kids, I would allow about that amount of time, maybe more if they want to spend a lot of time in the feeding areas or nursery with the babies! The final stretch of the drive up there is pretty steep, but easily do-able, just take your time. It is WELL worth it!

We had a great time at Parrot Mountain! The staff was amazing! We rented a golf cart and Terri was our guide. Let me tell you - she was incredible. Not only did she provide information about the birds and other sights, she was aLao gracious enough to take group photos for us. We held baby birds, fed parrots and held some of the larger birds as well. It was an experience that I'm so glad we dot to take advantage of. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend to anyone in the Pigeon Forge area.

My wife and I came on a Sunday during peak fall season. The crowds were kinda large but it felt very spacious. The staff members are all very knowledgeable and super friendly. Shar was one of the members who seemed to be both passionate and knowledgeable about the whole experience. You get to feed birds, hold them, and pet them (not all of them since some are still new to the enclosures). Best part is, most of the birds come from previous owners who could no longer care for them and get rehomed here at the park. Overall 10/10 experience and would recommend them to everyone!

Enjoyed the lovely view & birds as well as the interaction with them .it's a different experience than we had before & would recommend it

This is an every TN vacation trip for my family. It’s an incredible, beautiful place! It’s truly my favorite place on earth.

You need to go.wonderful staff. The Birds and the experience is something else.it is one of the best places I’ve been 2 in the smokies.Bring quarters with you.

This was the best experience of our trip to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. It was a great experience interacting with the different birds. The food was great and freshly made also. Worth every penny.

My son said it’s the best day of his life. We had so much fun. This place it interactive, beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly. Well worth your time and money!

Since it is outdoors, check the forecast.
If loud noises bother you, wear ear plugs in the nursery.
Don't rush. Plan to stay 2-3 hours.

We had the very best time here! It was raining and nasty out, but the gift shop had umbrellas and ponchos. The birds all seemed to really love the rain, they were singing and dancing all day. Holding all the birds was by far our favorite part, unfortunately in spite of mentioning multiple times to the attendants that we were very excited to purchase the pictures they took of us completely covered with birds, they deleted the pictures before we were even given the chance to purchase, which was the only bummer. There were so many beautiful birds, and the park was magical, it was like stepping into another world.

Absolutely worth the trip to Parrot Mountain. Friendly rescued birds. Support the cause and enjoy the experience.
Of course stop by the Deli to enjoy Sharlene’s special veggie burgers.

Awesome! Great staff! Enjoyed the golf cart tour and feeding the birds! Such lovely birds! I’ve never seen so many in one area.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my entire life. We really didn’t expect to spend an entire day here, but that is exactly what happened. This was truly a garden of Eden due to the peacefulness that surrounded us. Being able to interact with the birds while holding them, is amazing. The nursery is wonderful! The young birds are learning to interact with people and I enjoyed having them warm up to me.
When we first arrived, there were very few cars in the parking lot. Midway through the day, it got busier, but not overly crowded. The staff were so nice even when there were more people around. Shoutout to Olivia, Maria and Laney….you answered every question we asked and were so kind. I sincerely loved ALL the staff and I wish I knew all their names. So, if you want to see and interact with birds, plus enjoy truly nice staff, this is the hidden gem of the smokies.

The place was beautiful and so were the birds. I loved how it was a mix of caged birds, uncaged birds sitting on perches that you could hold and/or feed, and birds in a free flight enclosure.

I & my friend had a great time there are a lot of different birds there at Parrot Mountain. The driveway is a big hill to climb but I was in my RAV4 so it made it up the hill. There are a lot of walking paths & hills to walk up for my friend who was using a cane but there are go carts for people to ride with staff to help U on your adventure. They have a section to hold the parrots & take there photo for U to buy. There is a section your holding warm nectar in your hand they quickly come down to get it there every where on U! There beautiful but a little scary at first I had one pee on me but they say that’s good luck! They have an eating area there & a gift shop U want waste your $ getting a ticket it’s worth it. There place is huge I got a lot of good pictures plus I got to hold a bird. Big red parrot I tried to hold he has claws & he try to bite my finger be careful! I love Parrot Mountain the lady with the long hair was very nice.

What a beautiful place to enjoy. Parrots to hold and feed and some even talk. The staff is so nice. Shar was so knowledgeable and you could tell she is very proud to be a part of Parrot Mountain. Also, Jackson is a valuable asset to Parrot Mountain. He shared stories with me about some of the birds, and showed obvious pride in what he does. He made a wonderful visit even better with his interactions and obvious love for the birds. We come here every year and are never disappointed. It is a wonderful, peaceful place to spend a day. They also have a killer fried bologna sandwich. Be sure to have lunch at the grill.

Very nice experience. Staff was all nice and friendly. Beautiful gardens and birds. Very steep paths so be prepared for that. But otherwise, I'd highly recommend.

I went to Parrot Mountain with my wife and 2 teen boys. We had a great time and could not believe how much everyone enjoyed the day. They have real Cockatoo and Mccaw parrots that you actually hold and feed out of your hands. The staff will help pick up the birds and put them on your shoulder. Shar was the employee who helped explain about the parrots and put them on your shoulder and she was great. They have made some new addictions since last it and it looks fantastic. We will be back again for sure.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity. We got way more than we expected with our admission. We could actually feed and interact with many of the birds.

Fantastic experience
You can hang out with the birds as long as you want to. You can feed them and some of the macaws will climb on your arm. Rio loves to talk and laugh with you.
There is a nursery where you can hold the babies.

We had a wonderful experience at Parrot Mountain on McCarter Hollow Rd. The smaller locations in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are a tiny sneak peak of the main location. Feed the Lories while you’re there- Terri made it an awesome experience! Highly recommend!!

Sharlene was personal guide and she was amazing. Told us really interesting facts about the birds and the history of Parrot Mountain. Great time!

One of our most special places to go!
The birds are well taken care of and we love spending time there. We wish we didn’t live so far away. The place is well kept and clean. The staff are friendly and such a pleasure to converse with. I highly recommend a visit.

We took advantage of this attraction being so close to Dollywood and went here to kill some time before hotel check in. Such a great experience. Shar took additional time to ensure the kids got to hold each bird they showed interest in. Thank you, Parrot Mountain!

Very much worth the money enjoyed interaction with the birds will do it again when we come back to visit take the time to go see the birds when you go

Parrot Mountain was an amazing experience! We took our seven year old granddaughter and were very pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful time we all had! The birds and gardens were beautiful, with “hands on” experiences with the birds. I’m sure we will return again.

While we had a wonderful time during our visit, we paid for the digital copy of our photo and never received it. I sent an email and initially received a response asking which location, then nothing. I've sent follow up emails and a message on Facebook. No reply. Really puts a sour taste in your mouth. We were talking them up after our visit, but will warn others about purchasing the digital photo. I guess we will consider it a donation to the birds. Honestly it was a super cool experience though otherwise.

Beautiful place beautiful birds!! And great scripture! If you’re visiting pigeon forge this is a must! And they have this great bamboo stick bridge you’re hovering over the mountain

Highly Recommended! I’m always hesitant about animal places, as I don’t like to support breading or wild captive just for show and profit. But, I tell you… I asked questions and learned a lot about the birds here. Almost all birds are rescued, owner surrendered, can’t live in the wild, etc. Drew and the other team members really knew each bird’s story and cared highly for them all. Extremely clean well cared for! I quickly fell in love with Sugar, a sweetheart who now lives here as her longtime owner passed and she is mourning and a little shy of people. After 15-20 mins she finally warmed up to me and was being super loving 🥰. So hard to walk away about 55 mins later. Go see the amazing ladies at the nursery, Tater is to cute and a fun handful! 😁
I’m ever in this area again I WILL BE BACK!!

Very fun and interactive with the birds. Able to hold the birds and feed them. Great fun for adults and children. I would recommend this place !

Very beautiful area, great staff , the experience was awesome, we feed the birds, along with being able to hold them as well. We truly enjoyed the opportunity and experience.

We have been to Parrot Mountain several times over the last 9 years. We always enjoy our visit. Sharlene was exceptional with our children and helping them interact with the birds. This is a must do for a family visit!

It was a neat place to spend some time. The birds were amazing and we were able to interact with them. I highly recommend this place for people of all ages.

It was a great experience and staff were very nice taking care people of us. Especially Shar was so kind and had tons of patience until the end of the trip.
Worth visiting place.

The birds were beautiful. My grandchildren had a enjoyable and interactive time. The staff was very helpful and kind. We also appreciated all the Bible verses and truths from God's word.

Awesome, The word of GOD was throughout the whole adventure. Man shouldn't live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD.
Funtastic!!!!
It was so enjoyable, beautiful and peaceful! So nice to hear the birds and enjoy their beauty! What a fabulous place and we especially appreciated the spiritual emphasis! Not crowded which was also a plus for our daughter!!
